Guaranteed Human.
Hey, guys, it's us.
The Jonas Brothers. I'm Joe.
I'm Kevin.
And I'm Nick.
And guess what?
We created our own podcast called, Hey, Jonas.
We invented a podcast?
Well, we didn't invent it.
We just contributed to it.
We're the first people to do podcasts.
We get to ask other people questions because we're sick and tired of being asked questions.
Well, sick and tired is a strong way to put it.
But, you know, tired and sick.
Tired and sick.
Listen to Hey Jonas on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you.
you get your podcast. Just listen. We don't care where you hear it.
Another podcast from some SNL late night comedy guy, not quite. Unhumor me with Robert Smygel
and friends. Me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman help make you
funnier. This week, my guest, SNL's Mikey Day and head writer Streeter Seidel. Help an
a cappella band with their between songs banter. Where does your group perform? We do some
retirement homes. Those people are starving for banter. Listen to humor me with Robert Smigel and
friends on the ice.

Every family has its secrets.
But what happens when you discover that your dad has been living a double life?
That is not the look of an innocent man.
Is everyone lying to me about who they are?
I felt such desperation.
I felt it was what I had to do.

Rather be disappointed in.
Do that.

Here we go.
It is a Tuesday.
A lot on the agenda.
Heard hierarchy.
There's a lot of teams smoshed right in the middle in the NFL.
What do we do with the Kansas City Chiefs?
Are they a top 10 team?
What do we do with Seattle?
It's the herd in Chicago, wherever.
you may be, however you may be listening. Thanks for making us part of your day. So, okay, okay,
you can say it was just the Raiders. I understand that. But it should be noted. Dallas,
the Quinn and Williams down. They got that linebacker back at that second round pick as healthy.
So Quinn and Williams last night, season high in sacks, one and a half, career high in
quarterback hits. Another escape from New York success story. Two things are absolutely true. Every
player that leaves the toxic New York Jets gets better instantly. And Dallas is probably not as far
off as everybody thinks. Dallas has a top 10 to 12 quarterback. Run games good. Interior D-line,
Kenny Clark, Quinn and Williams, the weapons on the perimeter, they stole George Pickens.
That's a lot of playoff boxes. Now, the offensive line is young. They're inconsistent.
on pass protection, but the Cowboys are after the Packers and Seahawks the youngest offense
in the league. So they're an ascending offense. And remember, I've been on this. They don't
need a quarterback. Seven teams in the league are desperate for it. So those two first round picks,
quarterback is going to be overdrafted like it is every year. And this year, Dallas is going to be
able to manipulate that first round, those two picks. So Quinn Williams now, you want, he was an all-pro,
with Robert Sala. That's what you saw last night. That was the Quinn and Williams. That was an
all pro. Expect that going forward. By the way, Kenny Clark, interior linemen. So not all,
not all struggling teams are equal. Dallas is young. They're ascending. They got a top 10 to 12
quarterback. The jets don't. The Browns don't. The Raiders don't. The Saints don't. The Titans don't.
Dallas has the same number of wins as the Miami Dolphins.
And I would take Dallas 10 out of 10 times because of DAC.
I would take Dallas 10 out of 10 times over Miami.
So we can all clown on Jerry Jones.
And I, you know, is he the GM, whatever he is.
He's certainly not the worst GM in the league.
But I would say this.
The offense is elite.
They stole George Pickens.
They don't need weapons.
Running game feels solid.
The O line has to get better in pass pro.
But they're all young.
The offense is young, and the two defensive issues they have, they can solve in the draft because they have two first round picks.
So I think Dallas is going to win six or seven games, and they're going to get an elite pass rush during the draft.
But last night, we've got to be fair about this.
Donovan Azaraku, their second round pick played last night.
Oh, yeah, he's good.
He's a good player.
And they got back DeMarvian overshone the linebacker.
They got him back.
Well, he's an athlete.
So you started seeing some of those young guys behind Quinn and Williams and I know it's the Raiders.
I get it.
I understand it.
But again, turn the sound down, watch their athleticism last night.
Quinn and Williams, a career high in quarterback hits and one and a half sacks, a season high, escape from New York.
So we can all say we want to do.
But I said this.
When they got Quinn and Williams, they did not give up a first round pick next year.
was very smart by Dallas because six to seven teams are desperate for a quarterback and there's a
bunch of quarterbacks that are probably mid-second high second late first round picks they're all
going to be overdrafted they're all going to be overdrafted Mendoza's going to go one or two
everybody else probably gets overdrafted you need a quarterback and the following year doesn't
appear to be as good a quarterback as this year there's not seven or eight guys that can go in
the first couple rounds.
So last night they were finally healthy on defense.
Jerry Jones said after the win over the Raiders,
he could hardly contain himself.
You could see the impact of actually the players,
not just the not just our guys there in the front
with Quentin and those guys.
We also had other players out there that were head and heaven.
So I really was pleased with the way the defense
and not.
I was restraining myself from
feeling jumping up and down here
again not all bad teams are equal
the Raiders don't have anything right
from the culture to the
run game
head coach there's a lot of stuff
Dallas has the offense right
ascending young
old line that run blocks pretty well
excellent weapons stole George Pickin
CD Lambs are one
Javante Williams looks like the Bronco kid
I mean, that offense, I think it's number two in the NFL right now.
That's fine.
Okay.
Look at all the bad teams.
I'd feel a lot better today about Dallas with those two first round picks.
Maybe go get Caleb Downs, Ohio State, go get an edge rusher.
Problem solved.
Young athletic.
All right.
So you get to the point of this.
I always think this is funny in the NFL season.
Fans will always do this.
I'll say, well, I like this team.
And they're like, well, they haven't beaten anybody.
Well, who's great?
I mean, Philadelphia has won like 22 of their last, what, 25 games, and they look ugly every week.
I mean, Denver, none of you like Denver?
Well, what are they nine and two?
At some point, do you win games or not?
So the big question with the Bears is, the Bears are seven and three in first place,
and everybody's saying, oh, yeah, but the schedule, who!
Oh, I mean, it's.
Joe Montana and the Niners coming up next.
I actually think they're going to remain in first place, and here's why.
What the next five games the Bears play all have in common.
Steelers, Eagles, Green Bay, Cleveland, Green Bay.
What do they all have in common?
Every one of those teams, not the Bears,
every one of those teams is struggling to find their offensive identity.
Chicago doesn't have that problem.
Chicago's inconsistent, but Chicago,
runs the ball a lot and runs the ball well.
And for the record, still leads the NFL in big plays.
Yeah, the bears may be inconsistent, a little start, stop, right?
But they have an identity.
They are going to run the ball a lot and they're going to run it well.
So that's an identity.
The Bears, you know, it's a little like a Quentin Tarantino movie, strong plot,
excellent character development, seems a little out of order.
We're going to have to wait to the end of the movie so it all sort of wraps in together and you'll be like,
that was really good.
But there are times the operational part, the penalties are three and out.
Caleb misses an easy one.
You're like, hey, I, again, it's a little out of order.
They have bad quarters, weird halves.
They're good late.
And I say this all the time.
You do not have to be perfect to get to a Super Bowl.
You just have to have an identity.
The Philadelphia Eagles got to a Super Bowl last year.
They were the fourth worst passing team in a passing league.
But the Eagles knew what they were.
That's why this year Philadelphia is really struggling because they're not a power run team.
Sequan's not as dominant as last year.
So Philly doesn't quite know what they are.
Plus they have wide receiver drama.
Last year they had a little wide receiver drama,
but it was Seekwan, turn, handoff and watch them run for somewhere between
seven and 27 yards.
So that's the thing about the bears.
You start looking at all these games they play.
Packers don't know what they are.
They're a passing team. The coach doesn't know it.
Philadelphia, no lane Johnson,
doesn't quite know what they are.
Pittsburgh now, using a backup quarterback.
Shadour Sanders now starting
for Cleveland. I think
Chicago's fine. Again,
every game, every scene
may not feel like
it kind of fits.
But when the movie's over,
When the game's over, you look up and you're like, yeah, that works.
Yeah, that's what they do.
Still people out there, Matt Hasselbeck, not quite sure about the quarterback, though.
Caleb is a young player learning on the fly, and as he's learning, they're winning.
He's morphing into Ben Johnson's kind of quarterback.
Is he there?
No, I don't think he is.
He's really not.
But they seem to find ways to win.
That's what happens with DNA culture setter type coaches.
You set a standard and an expectation for the details and the discipline that are going to happen in your organization every single day.
Do I think this is their year after I say all that?
No.
They haven't really beat anybody.
But the schedule is getting tougher here.
We'll find out who they really are.
Well, we know who Caleb Williams is.
Today is his 24th birthday.
Happy birthday to Caleb.
Happy birthday to first place.
happy birthday to facing five straight games with teams with no offensive identity.
I like Chicago.
Not even going to say I'm a good luck charm.
I didn't have anything to do with it.
But they are in first, and it's coming together, J. Mack.
You know, it's nice to be in a city.
It's nice to be in a city with winners.
That's all I'm going to say.
Yeah, yeah, for sure, definitely.
You know, tomorrow's DeAndre Swift's birthday.
Let's make sure we give him a shout out.
I'm just kidding.
Boy, you love you some bears, huh?
Okay.
What's a point differential?
I haven't seen the standings this morning.
I don't get caught up into those numbers.
Yeah.
That kind of data is irrelevant.
All vibes.
I see the seven and the first place.
Those are the two numbers I see.
Be sure to catch live editions of the herd weekdays in noon Eastern, 9 a.m. Pacific.
On Fox Sports Radio, FS1, and the IHeart Radio app.
Hey, we're Kavino and Rich.
Fox Sports Radio every day, 5 to 7 p.m. Eastern.
But here's the thing.
We never have enough time to get to everything we want to get to.
And that's why we have a brand new podcast called Overpromised.
You see, we're having so much fun in our two-hour show.
We never get to everything.
Honestly, because this guy is over-promising things we never have time for.
Yeah, you blubberlips.
Blame and me.
Well, you know what?
It's called Over-Promise.
You should be good at it because you've been Oprah Promising Women for years.
Well, it's a Kavino and Rich After Show, and we want you to be a part of it.
We're going to be talking sports, of course.
But we're also going to talk life and relationships.
and if Rich and I are arguing about something
or we didn't have enough time,
it will continue on our after show called Overpromised.
Well, if you don't get enough, Kavino and Rich,
make sure you check out OverPromis,
and also uncensored, by the way.
So maybe we'll go at it even a little harder.
It's going to be the best after show podcast of all time.
There you go.
Overpromising.
And remember, you could see it on YouTube,
but definitely join us.

Hey, it's us to Jonas Brothers,
And guess what? We have some big news.
What's the news?
Huge news.
We created our own podcast called Hey Jonas.
We invented a podcast?
Well, we didn't invent it.
We just contributed to it.
We're the first people to do podcasts.
Pretty, yeah, pretty wide range of podcasts.
We're starting a trend.
But this one's extra special.
So how do we actually come up with a name, Hey Jonas, guys?
I honestly don't remember.
I think it was on a call about what we should call it.
Well, we were thinking I'm originally calling it one of the early
names of our band before Jonas Brothers
was...
This is how you guys remember it going down?
Yes.
I have a very different memory of this.
We were talking about a thing, a bit for the podcast,
people could call in and say, hey, Jonas.
And then I wrote down on my little notepad,
Hey Jonas, and offered it up as a potential title for the podcast.
But thanks for remembering that, guys.
Listen to Hey Jonas on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts,

Just listen. We don't care where you hear it.
Another podcast from some SNL late-night comedy guy,
not quite on Humor Me with Robert Smygel and Friends.
Me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman
help make you funnier.
This week, my guest, SNL's Mikey Day and head writer, Streeter Seidel,

Those people are starving for banter.

Keith Gianmanca seemed like a mild-mannered suburban dad,
but secretly, he became someone else,
a master of disguise who went on a crime spree.
At the time, did it seem like a crazy idea?
It seemed very crazy,
but I felt so desperate that I felt it was the quickest, easiest way out.
Did you allow yourself to think about how it could go wrong
and what that might look like?
No.
I didn't want to manifest that.
I was trying to manifest success.
Every family has its secrets.
But what happens when you discover that your dad has been living a double life?
That is not the look of an innocent man.
This is going to change my life and my family dynamic forever,
because everything that had existed prior in my reality is now untrue.

Hey, I'm Jared Adano.
You might know me as that loud guy who yells out, help on the internet.
Help! Somebody! Please!
But there's so much more to me than that.
I'm an actor. I'm a comedian.
And recently, I've become quite the helper myself.
And on my new podcast, Hope from a Hypocrite, I'll be changing lives,
helping people in need with my sage advice and thoughtful solutions.
Psyke, I'm a comedian!
I'm not qualified to give good advice.
Join me and my comedian friends as we riff rant
and recommend some of the most legally dubious advice
known to man.
If I'm calling you, even if you're on your phone,
let it ring twice.
One ring is too scary.

Hey, cream.

If you're watching the latest season of the Real Housewives of Atlanta, you already know there's a lot to break down.
Gorsha accusing Kelly of sleeping with a merry man. They holding Kay Michelle back from fighting Drew.
Pinky has financial issues. I like the bougie style of Housewives show. I think it looks like to be interesting.
On the podcast, Reality with the King, I, Carlos King, recount.
the biggest moments from your favorite reality shows, including the Real Housewives franchise,
the drama, the alliances, and the team everybody's talking about.
As an executive producer in reality television, I'm not just watching it.
I understand the game.
As somebody who creates shows, I'll even say this.
At the end of the day, when people are at home, they want entertainment.
To hear this and more, listen to Reality with the King on the IHard Radio app, Apple Podcasts,
or wherever you get your podcast.
So there is a herd hierarchy top of the hour.
There's a headline today from a story.
Bow Nix is a conundrum.
Has his potential been capped?
And I've heard this a lot, and Bo Nix can drive me crazy.
But I was thinking about this this morning.
We put these in alphabetical order.
I don't want to parse it out.
Who's the best?
Who's the word?
Here's the 15 best quarterbacks.
I've been watching the NFL since 19.
72. That was the Miami-Washington Super Bowl. I remember watching that in a black and white TV in my bedroom.
And little gray in Washington. Here's the 15 best quarterbacks I've ever seen play the position.
I'll read it for our radio audience. Troy Aikman, Josh Allen, Terry Bradshaw, Tom Brady, Drew Brees, John Elway, Brett Favre, Dan Fouts, Patrick Mahomes, Peyton, Manning, Dan Marino, Joe Montana, Aaron Rogers, Big Ben and Steve Young. Apologies to Jim Kelly. He was 16th.
Those are the best I've ever seen.
The best I've ever seen.
That is a high bar.
You know what you notice for those quarterbacks?
There's no bad coaches.
Oh, for 15.
Well, what about Sean McDermott?
He's a good coach.
He got Tyrod Taylor to the playoffs.
He had turned Buffalo around pre-Josh Allen.
He's a good coach.
Some of you will remember the golfer Tom Kite.
He's a Hall of Famer.
He has one major.
He finished second, third, and fourth a lot.
he's a Hall of Fame golfer.
Sean McDermott's a good coach.
Yes, Bo Nix absolutely benefits greatly from Sean Payton.
He is 19 and 9 as a quarterback.
And I bet you he'd be 9 and 19 if he had like a Matt Eberfluse or a Dennis Allen.
You could reverse his record.
But in the last seven games, with a legitimate coach, he has five game winning drives.
And don't you think there's something to be said?
Isn't this a wacky coincidence?
here's the three young quarterbacks all on winning streaks
Drake May, Caleb Williams, and Bo Nix.
Let's see who their coaches are.
Oh, Mike Vrable, Ben Johnson, and Sean Peyton.
Two are legitimately big-time all-time coaches.
I mean, they really are great coaches.
And it looks like Ben Johnson's pretty damn good.
What a wacky coincidence.
There are no quarterbacks.
that are elite that had a string of bad coaches. Dan Fouts had Eric Corriell. Look him up.
Dan Marino didn't win Super Bowls. He had Don Shula, winning his coach ever.
Now, I didn't see Bart Star play, so I didn't include him in that, but he had Vince Lombardi.
Aikman had Jimmy Johnson. And I'm not saying the quarterback's not more valuable than the coach.
There's no bad coaches in there. In fact, it's many, I mean, Tony Dungey was a defensive guy.
Tony Dungey's a really good coach. One in Tampa, one in Indy.
but the number that you have to respect Bo Nix on, and he has bad halves.
He got bad games.
About three games ago, Sean Payton was watching him on the sideline, and you could read
the body language.
Sean didn't know what to do.
Here's where you've got to respect him.
Since he entered the league, this number will shock you.
Bo Nix has more pass attempts than any quarterback in the league.
What is the ultimate sign of respect?
what a parent does to a child,
trust them with responsibility.
That's what the Colts did with Andrew Luck.
Bruce Ariens gave him the whole damn playbook as a rookie.
Figure it out.
It's what Kaufflin did with Eli Manning.
You're a smart kid.
You're a Manning.
Here's the playbook.
Make some mistakes.
Eli did.
Andrew Luck made a lot of them.
And Bo Nick does.
The ultimate sign of respect is that Sean Patent's like,
bro no hand holding big ben's an all-timer go look at the first couple years with big
ben they were holding his hand they were babysitting him you know they weren't throwing the ball much
bo necks leads the whole freaking league in past attempts so he can drive me crazy he has bad
halves but the whole thing well if if not for sean peyton well if not for jimmy johnson
i mean troyig was first year when jimmy was one in 15 this is hard football practice is hard
forget the games the practice the off-season's are
hard. Here's Bo Nix on the
criticism outside of the building.
People are always in town of their opinion.
They're always going to say what they think.
And, you know, that's also
what makes, you know, our country great.
But, you know, at the end of the day,
you just got to block
it out. You just, you know, can't
involve yourself with what's outside
the building. And because
if you do, man, it'll just bog you
down and it'll get you distracted and you start
worried about things that you shouldn't be worried about.
but everybody's always going to say something for some reason we're always going to be
you know talk down upon and that's okay he's near the top of the league
in a lot of things at number one in total pass attempts that speaks well of what sean
Peyton thinks of him j mac with the news
no no no turn on the news this is the herd line news all right Colin from one middling quarterback to a
great one. That's Jalen Hertz.
There's some wacky stuff is coming out in Philly.
I don't know what to make of this, but there's an insider who's claiming that folks within the Eagles organization have grown frustrated with the quarterback situation.
The insider added that some people in the org would like to move off Jalen Hertz, but the money is just makes it impossible.
it's almost a Carson Wentz 2.0 situation.
I mean, this is all crazy.
However, Eagles tackle Jordan Milata was asked about this,
and here's his response.
I don't see it.
You know, I know how much work Jammer puts into this,
and so, you know, I just have to, I'm not going to.
Yeah, I don't know how to address that.
It's kind of crazy.
It's kind of crazy that somebody in the organization will do that.
I don't know
He said he's a
He's been there a long time
Mount Rushmore, the media
So probably knows a lot of people
But then again
I'm going to worry about that
Well where there's smoke
There's fire
It didn't come out of the middle of nowhere
A lot of good reporters and journalists in Philadelphia
Yeah I mean I just started to do some digging on this guy
We don't need to mention him my name
He's a long time battle acts in Philadelphia
Colin
Let's just be real
Jalen Hertz's last 12
25 starts. The team's record is 22 and 3. He was the MVP of the Super Bowl. He was nearly the MVP of another Super Bowl.
And some people want to run him out of town. I don't know. You say battle acts. I say seasoned journalist. He's not making it up.
Nobody said he's making anything up. I mean, it's just like he claims to have sources. I don't know.
This isn't. Let's see what at. Let's wait for Schifter, Rappaport and the guys who are plugged in. Let's see what they say.
I just find it very hard to believe that people are seeing this product and saying,
we've got to move off Jalen Hertz.
He's the problem.
I would have a hard time people watching this offensive product and saying,
yeah, we're better when we throw less.
Yeah, that's what the team said last year.
Let's throw less.
Nobody says that with Josh Allen.
I mean, Mahomes, doesn't it Mahomes like top three in the league in passing attempts?
He was at one point.
He has no offensive line.
He's getting crushed.
So you're comparing him to two MVP's interesting.
Josh Allen would love to, he would kill.
He would maim to get to a Super Bowl.
Okay.
Like, he would do whatever it takes.
Like, they ran less or they ran more because Sequin Barclay had 2,000 yards last year.
I mean, you know, this is just staggering.
Like, the ineptitude in Philadelphia to think Jalen hurts is the problem.
Colin, how many offensive coordinators has he had in Philly?
Well, he needs to get.
Different one every year.
Yeah.
What are we doing?
I'm just flabbergasted.
All right, let's move on to a story.
Maybe you'll like a little more.
And that's Aaron Rogers.
He is also a little perturbed, shall we say,
that reports leaked out quickly that he's got a wrist injury.
We still don't know what's going on.
That's weird.
MRI should have been, we should have the results by now.
Apparently Rogers will not need surgery,
and he is pushing to play against the Bears.
That's not good for my Bears minus three bet.
chances of him playing right now are 50-50,
but it's Tuesday morning, long way to go.
Mason Rudolph would be the starter.
How's this one from Adam Schefter?
The Steelers tighten the circle
because Rogers did not like the leak.
Well, you could see the strain on his face when he got hit.
I mean, Aaron's constantly on camera,
so I don't think it was.
I mean, it's hard to keep in-game, out of game.
it's hard to keep things under wraps you've got 20 reporters minimum in the locker room so i don't
i don't think there's a leak on the team it's there's sometimes it's hard to keep every bit of
information in the white house under wraps i mean just a reality of an NFL locker room after
a game you're walking off the field there's reporters everywhere people are asking he's grimacing
and the trainer comes over to him i don't know i don't feel i don't feel like the steedlers
have a leak i just think errand's a high-profile guy that's on camera and after games that's your number one
as a reporter in Pittsburgh to find out how healthy Aaron is after he wins during the game.
That's your job.
Yeah.
We'll find out how much he matters when we find out who's starting and what the line does.
Yeah.
Now it's minus three.
Bears at home minus three against Pittsburgh, right?
I'm assuming that's no Rogers, right?
You've got a broken left wrist.
How are you taking snaps, gripping the ball?
Like, I don't think you can play with a broken?
Do you?
I mean, I know you played a lot of football back in the day, Al Bundy.
No, no.
I think he has a broken bone.
his wrist. I don't think he has a broken wrist.
Well, broken bone in the wrist, same deal.
You know, broken bone in the wrist. Can you play football?
Yes. Yes.
You can play football.
I mean, he's old.
Like, you might as well give it a shot, right?
It's not like he's playing for the future.
Final Story, Con, let's go to a, let's go back to a good quarterback.
And that's Brock Purdy.
My guy, returned from a six-game absence.
200 yards throwing three tuddies.
49ers' offense was super crisp.
After the game, Purdy spoke to Albert Breer and told him
the offense getting healthy, Colin.
The Niners are in the right spot to make a playoff run.
Here he does.
No, we don't have the sound, sorry.
Bottom line is very excited to have Brock Purdyback.
He thinks they can make a playoff run.
How confident are you?
Well, I think the Rams are better, and I think Seattle's better.
But I think it's a really good division.
So I think it's close.
You know, they had a pretty easy schedule to start the season,
but unfortunately they fell apart.
So I think they'll make a run.
I think their coaching staff has been unbelievable.
I think they're a top 10 team.
I haven't been in the herd hierarchy.
I think their staff's been unbelievable.
Above the Chiefs?
We'll see.
It's around there.
They're close.
J-Mack with the news.
Well, that's the news.
And thanks for stopping by.
The Hurd-Ly News.
So, a very interesting story.
Very rarely does a college football coach crush at a school,
and the school says, make up your mind what you're doing.
That's what Old Miss is doing with Lane Kiff.
I think Lane Kiffin should go to the pros.
I think he's tapped out at Old Miss.
I don't think he's going to win a natty there, but I think he's going to win a bunch of games if he stays there.
And so LSU flies a plane in, flies his family down to Baton Rouge to check it out.
So Lane Kiffin, they've given him a deadline at Old Miss.
The Mississippi State game, the minute it ends, tell us what you're doing.
So I've always had a theory in life.
Don't try to get happier than happy.
and I think Lane's happy.
When did Lane Kiffin implode in life?
Al Davis, NFL dysfunction,
the Raiders were dysfunctional and massive pressure at USC.
When did he crush?
Florida Atlantic, no pressure.
Ole Miss, not that much pressure.
And the offensive coordinator under Nick Sabin,
where, you know, Nick's taking the arrows.
So Lane, it's a little like Icarus.
Be careful how close you fly to the sun.
don't try to get happier than happy.
I think the LSU job is crazy town.
The governor's talking about it.
They're legally going to try to keep money from Brian Kelly.
Bad look, LSU.
By the way, Brian Kelly won 10 games year one, 10 games year two,
and entered year three, hottest seat in college football.
That's all you need to know.
And now the governor of the state's involved in the Brian Kelly mess.
So, to me, stay at Ole Miss or go to the NFL.
But because I think Lane's personality feels like if he gets into one of these massively
pressurized high expectation situations, he can be a little snarky, he can be on social media
a little too much.
And I've
at a source, I called yesterday
on Ole Miss football,
apparently they've got a lot of NIL money.
They've got an IL money.
It's not a money issue at Ole Miss.
So, and the other thing is
at Ole Miss,
the entire fan base,
the boosters in the university, they trust
the process and they trust Lane.
LSU doesn't trust any coach in Sabin.
They don't trust any of them.
They didn't trust less miles.
They didn't like less miles.
Ed Orgeron.
Brian Kelly.
It's a very cynical football operation.
And it's kind of delusional.
I mean, Georgia's a better job.
Bama's a better job.
I would say Texas is a better job.
And it's LSU's, you know, got a lot of players.
But it's up there with like Oklahoma.
It's a really, really good job.
But sometimes the donors and the boosters and the administration and now the governor,
I guess it's a little uncomfortable.
I mean, this is the governor of the state of Louisiana
actually went after the administration of LSU.
Right now we got a $53 million liability.
We are not doing that again.
And you know what?
I believe, I believe that we're going to find a great coach.
Maybe we'll let President Trump pick it.
He loves winners.
You know, I'm not going to be picking the next coach.
But I can promise you,
We're going to pick a coach and we're going to make sure that that coach is successful.
And we're going to make sure that he's compensated properly.
And we're going to put metrics on it because I'm tired of rewarding failure in this country
and then leaving the taxpayers on the foot, you know, to foot the bill.
No, Brian Kelly won 10 games and 10 games and he was on the hot seat.
He didn't fail.
You had expectations in the SEC that has added Oklahoma in Texas that's unrealistic.
I mean, look at the coaching in the SEC.
Sark and Brett Venables and Kirby Smart and Lane Kiffin and Kallin DeBore and I got news for you.
Nobody's winning 12 games in that conference much anymore.
And now Vandy's good.
So it's not that Brian Kelly failed.
Brian Kelly was a weird fit.
Brian Kelly didn't grind in recruiting.
He wanted a failure.
Ten wins, 10 wins.
Enter a third year or you're on the hot seat.
That's delusion.
That's not bad coaching.
So if I was Lane Kiffin, I would either stay at Ole Miss or GoPro.
And reportedly, Ole Miss, the money's not the issue.
So we have heard hierarchy at the top of the hour, plus Nick Wright.
I've never had Nick Wright on when the Kansas City Chiefs weren't good.
So this will be interesting today, because right now they're five and five.
I've been holding on to this Kansas City Chiefs operation.
I still think they have a lot of smart people.
I'm not sure if they're good.
And some of that, for the record,
is on Patrick Mahomes.
We'll address that next.
Be sure to catch live editions of the herd.

Hey, it's us, the Jonas brothers.
And guess what?
We have some big news.
What's the news, new?
Huge news.
We created our own podcast called,
Hey, Jonas.
We invented a podcast?
Well, we didn't invent it.
We just contributed to a...
We're the first people to do podcasts.
Pretty, yeah, pretty wide range of podcasts.
starting a trend.
But this one's extra special.
So how do we actually come up with a name,
Hey Jonas, guys?
I honestly don't remember.
I think it was on a call about what we should call it.
Well, we were thinking I'm originally calling it
one of the early names of our band.
Before Jonas Brothers was...
This is how you guys remember it going down?
Yes.
I have a very different memory of this.
We were talking about a thing, a bit for the podcast,
where people could call in and say,
hey Jonas.
And then I wrote down on my little notes.
Notepad, Hey Jonas, and offered it up as a potential title for the podcast.
But thanks for remembering that, guys.

Keith Giamonka seemed like a mild-mannered suburban dad,
but secretly, he became someone else,
a master of disguise who went on a crime spree.
At the time, did it seem like a crazy idea?
It seemed very crazy, but I felt so desperate that I felt it was the quickest, easiest way out.
Did you allow yourself to think about how it could go wrong on what that might look like?
No, I didn't want to manifest that. I was trying to manifest success.
Every family has its secrets. But what happens when you discover that your dad has been living a double life?

So, you know, once the NFL weekend is done,
everybody's got their narratives and their big storylines,
and one of them is, you know, Sam Darnold, there he goes again.
So when Sam Darnold came out, and I took a lot of crap for this,
I said he's about 80% of Andrew Luck.
That's his comp.
is that
Andrew Luck's more naturally talented
has a better, quicker release.
But that's Andrew Luck.
That both played in the Pack 12,
both playmakers, both can be reckless.
Do you all remember how many picks that Andrew Luck through?
In six years, five double-digit years.
Andrew Luck averaged an interception per game in his career.
Sam Darnold has averaged one pick a game in his career.
and Andrew Luck never played for the Jets.
He got Bruce Ariens in a weak division.
Sam Darnold got Belichick.
All right?
So if you look at their numbers for our radio audience,
Andrew Luck and Sam Darnold,
Darnold's more accurate, TD interception ratio, very close,
pass-a-rating, slight-edge luck,
both had nine games in their career
with three or more interceptions.
and both had at least five seasons with 10 plus interceptions.
And again, Andrew Luck got Bruce Ariens.
That's a pretty good first gig, right?
Sam didn't.
In fact, if you take the Jets out and just count Carolina, Minnesota, and Seattle,
Sam looks like an A quarterback.
So for the record, what was the worst game Andrew Luck ever had?
four interceptions against Belichick in the playoffs.
What are the two worst games Sam Darnold's ever had, both against the Rams?
One last year in Minnesota versus the Rams in the playoffs and this weekend.
So they've got his number, and they've also got a great young defense.
But just never forget this.
Andrew Luck, nine career games with three or more picks.
That's Darnold.
So when I see, well, Sam's got a ceiling.
Did Andrew Luck have a ceiling?
I thought Andrew Luck was going to win Super Bowls.
Now, I do think Andrew is more talented than Sam.
But I think it's his comp.
I told executives, I talked before the draft.
I loved him.
Not everybody loved him.
They said he's too reckless.
And I said, well, isn't Andrew Luck reckless?
Andrew Luck's just a bit more talented.
But if you look at the numbers, and again, Andrew Luck didn't have to go to the Jets.
You watched Quinn and Williams last night.
He's back to being a great player.
He's back to being dominant.
Here's the Seahawks coach, Mike McDonald, on Darnold's mistakes.
I think the majority of them came late in downs
where we just need to get to the next play.
And Sam's played in time and in rhythm a lot this year,
and he's made a lot of plays for us doing that,
and he's also made a lot of plays off schedule.
So, again, you don't want to take the playmaker out of them,
but you also understand when we need to be.
when we need to be able to get the next play
versus putting the ball in jeopardy
down the field.
Yeah, the Rams,
Bill Belichick and the Rams have given
Sam Darnold a lot of trouble.
Outside of that, he's pretty good.
And Colin, but you love Donald.
Well, I also loved Andrew Luck
because I like quarterbacks who take risks.
Like this past weekend,
Josh Allen has six touchdowns, a couple of picks.
I can live with that.
I'm not somebody, I'm not a passer rating,
Aaron Rogers, great pass-er rating.
So what?
I want wins and playoff wins.
I don't care about the pass-a-rating thing.
Completion percentage matters, but right now, if you look at Bo Nix and Caleb Williams
and their completion percentage, they're winning games, they're good in the fourth.
I'm not going to keep track of the second quarter much.
Seattle dominated the second and third quarters.
Rams dominated the first, didn't make any mistakes in the last.
That's why they win the game.
So the other story is, let's be totally frank about the Chiefs.
And this is a weird thing to say, but part of Kansas City's problem is Patrick Mahomes.
In the last two seasons, he has not been in Josh Allen's galaxy.
Josh has been more accurate.
Josh gets to the end zone more.
Josh uses his legs to a greater degree, and he's just a better runner.
Right now, Mahomes is not Josh Allen last two years.
and Patrick's become kind of a bad road quarterback this year.
This year he's 4 and 1 at home.
On the road, he barely completes 60% of his throws.
His passer rating in the low 80s, 81.
So you could say, well, he doesn't have the weapons that he needs.
Josh Allen does?
Actually, he's got better weapons than the 2022 season in which he was MVP.
Go look up to the receiving corps that year.
So I do think part of the Chief's underachievement this year is on Mahomes.
He's been less consistent, less accurate.
Some of it's the right tackle position.
But Bo Nix is 5 and O this year when trailing in the fourth.
Mahomes is 0 and 5 this year, trailing in the fourth.
That can't be all just a zany coincidence.
Bo Nix has been the better late game quarterback.
So in my opinion, Kansas City needs a reboot.
They have to rip the Band-Aid off with Travis Kelsey.
You can't have your Star weapon be good five times a year.
It's time to rip the Band-Aid off, final year.
He'll be good if they get to the playoffs.
And then one more year, a guaranteed salary with Chris Jones.
To me, it's time to rip that Band-Aid off after next season.
So I think Kansas City has to reinvent it.
itself. And I went and looked this morning. Some of the, and I've said this for years, when Nick
Saban was crushing in the SEC, the good schools like Tennessee, Georgia, and LSU did not have a good
coach. You go look at when Mahomes and Andy Reed, but Mahomes was crushing in this division.
Denver had Nat Hackett and Vic Fangio as a head coach. The Chargers had Brandon, Staley,
and Anthony Lynn. And the Raiders had,
Josh McDaniels and Antonio Pierce.
Yeah, that whole Jim Harbaugh, Sean Peyton thing,
that feels different.
It lands different.
So one of the themes on this show has been,
if you go look at LeBron James dominating in the East,
yes, LeBron was great.
The East was terrible.
Philadelphia underachieved.
The Knicks weren't any good.
I mean, Boston was good briefly,
then, you know, disbanded the roster.
LeBron dominate.
LeBron doesn't dominate in the West,
because the West has better coaches, better rosters, better size, better guards, better GMs, better stars.
Now, LeBron's out of his prime, but even in his prime.
I don't think he would have dominated the West like he dominates the East.
Nick Saban dominant.
So usually to create a dynasty, everybody else has to underachieve a little bit or there has to be dysfunction.
Go look at Brady.
When they moved Peyton Manning and the Colts out of his division early, bills were dysfunctional.
Miami Jets were mostly dysfunctional, but Rex Ryan actually Dave built trouble for a couple years
with kind of BC level quarterback play.
So I think it's been an up and down season.
I don't think Mahomes has been great the last two years.
His accuracy dips, home and away is a different quarterback, and here's Mahomes on it.
I think we're really talented.
We got a lot of great players.
It's just about being more consistent.
I think it starts with me.
I mean, there's times where I'm firing and I'm throwing the ball,
and we're moving the ball down the field at ease.
But at the same time, there's times where we go on the spurts where I miss like throw like I did
or a protection call or whatever that is.
And so it's about being more consistent.
That's what this league is.
And we haven't been consistent enough to win football games, but it starts to admit with me.
We have the NFL schedule coming up this week.
I'm actually surprised the chiefs are a three-point favorite against the Colts.
The Colts off a buy are healthy.
Kansas City is coming off a very physical, intense rivalry game.
The Colts getting a field goal at Kansas City, I like Indianapolis.
And I, again, off a buy, Kansas City struggled to move the ball.
Now, the Colts defense is not Denver's.
I like the over in this game.
I think there's going to be some points.
But some of this is just Mahomes hasn't been great.
I'm not saying he's distracted.
I'm not, but you know, Lamar Jackson doesn't quite have the juice that he had like a year ago.
J-Mack talked about that yesterday.
Lamar doesn't quite feel as elusive.
And Mahomes is really good, but he has, he's got some real up and downs.
You don't quite feel the lightning and the juice he had like three years ago.
I don't personally.
Doesn't mean he's not great and won't win another Super Bowl or three.
I look at the schedule this weekend.
I always look for a line that surprises me.
I think Indian Kansas City is a lot of scoring.
There's a lot of ugly.
It's a weird weekend.
You could end up having really good.
Like Tampa Rams could end up being a great game.
Philadelphia at Dallas.
I think Dallas is going to keep it close.
Now they're healthy defensively and no lane Johnson.
It is not a good-looking schedule from when you pull back, but we'll end up having five or six.
Like Seattle at Tennessee, one of those games, Giants at Detroit, Minnesota.
One of them is going to be close in the early window.
I would just be careful with Tampa.
The last two weeks, their defense is just hemorrhaging big plays galore.
I mean, Patriots had multiple touchdowns of over 30 yards,
bills last week, and the Rams, what are they calling?
Big play offense with McVeigh.
Interesting, you mentioned Seattle going to Tennessee.
Seattle's a 13-point favorite.
That's a college line.
College line.
Would you lay it?
No, I already made my picks this morning.
I sent him into the guys.
Wait, you're on Tennessee?
I didn't, no, no, I'm not, I don't like those.
I don't, I think Green Bay at home bounces back.
I think there's enough film on J.J. McCarthy to know what he can't do and what he can.
And what he can is not much.
So I think Green Bay bounces back.
And I like Green Bay as a six and a half point favorite.
But to me, there's, I don't want to touch the Baltimore Jets line, the Seahawk Tennessee line.
The numbers are wacky.
I will just point out next week is Thanksgiving week.
There are three games on Thanksgiving.
One of them is Lions Packers, which could be for the division.
I know your Bears are there temporarily.
So I like the Lions against the Giants, big number, but you've got to be careful.
It's a look-ahead spot for the Lions, you know?
Next week's game is massive.
And also, the Chiefs play the Cowboys on Thanksgiving.
Both the Chiefs and Cowboys have huge games this week.
But you know the Thanksgiving game gets the biggest audience.
Remember, people are planning their families.
What are they going to do?
They're flying in and out.
there's a lot of logistics. This week is a dangerous week, Colin, I will say be a little bit cautious just because the holiday's approaching.
Yeah, I mean, one of the better lines is San Francisco only has to give up seven and now against Carolina.
And San Francisco offensively has finally got the band back together.
Yeah.
They got their guys. So I think the Niners on Monday nights is one of the better plays.
I thought the Cowboys, you like that last night.
Hey, guys, it's us. The Jonas Brothers. I'm Joe. I'm Kevin.
