Hey guys, it's us.
The Jonas Brothers. I'm Joe.
I'm Kevin.
And I'm Nick.
And guess what?
We created our own podcast called, Hey Jonas.
We invented a podcast?
Well, we didn't invent it.
We just contributed to it.
We're the first people to do podcasts.
We get to ask other people questions because we're sick and tired of being asked questions.
Well, sick and tired is a strong way to put it.
But, you know, tired and sick.
Tired and sick.
you get your podcast. Just listen. We don't care where you hear it.
Another podcast from some SNL late night comedy guy, not quite. Unhumor me with Robert Smygel
and friends. Me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman help make you
funnier. This week, my guest, SNL's Mikey Day and head writer Streeter Seidel, help an
a cappella band with their between songs banter. Where does your group perform? We do some
retirement homes. Those people are starving for banter. Listen to humor me with Robert Smigel and
friends on the ice.

Winning on Clay is an art.
The rallies are relentless.
And at the French Open, only the toughest survive.
I'd know.
I competed there for decades.
Join me, Renee Stubbs, on the Renee Stubbs' tennis podcast for no-nonsense breakdowns of the
biggest matches, the toughest players, and the moments that define Roland Garris.
She can win.
She's an outsider to win the French win.
And she likes Clay.
Listen, Lina Rubakina is arguably the best player in the world right now.
And I actually can win on any service.

Here we go.
It is a Monday.
It is NFL Draft Week.
Already had a big move by the bingles and giants over the weekend.
We're live.
It is The Herd.
Wherever you may be, however you may be listening,
thanks for making us part of your day.
one hour from now, Colin Wright, Colin wrong.
So there's a lot of chatter right now that we're going to have moves today or tomorrow with the NFL
draft.
Let's talk about the one that was already made, the Giants, this doesn't happen very often,
moved into the top 10.
They got the number 10 pick giving the Cincinnati Bengals, Dexter Lawrence, who's a very good defensive
tackle. So sometimes what the Giants did, you've got to take a step back to build your culture.
Dexter Lawrence is really good. Didn't have a great year, but he's really good. And he wants a fortune.
And what John Harbaugh is saying is, we're not going to be held hostage. It's not a great defensive
tackle draft. It's not. You're not going to find anybody in the draft as good as Dexter
Lawrence. It's an edge draft, some good wide receivers, some good offensive tackles. It's not a
great defensive tackle draft, but this is not a Super Bowl team. This,
team needs five or six guys from this draft who can play. I think it's a good team.
This is not a Super Bowl team. Even the areas of the Giants where their fans think,
we are set like offensive tackle. Andrew Thomas can't stay on the field at left tackle.
You're right tackle. You probably overpaid him. He's a journeyman. He'll be pressed into left
tackle duty at some point. And then you'll be a mess at both tackles. So the reality is the Giants
need depth of talent.
And my takeaway,
this move was about Jackson Darts timeline.
And you say, well, what about the Bengals?
They're on Joe Burroughs timeline.
And Burroughs had three surgeries.
And the Bengals are cheap.
And Burroughs pissed off.
And he has been for three years.
So the Bengals are like,
okay, we're wearing our dockers.
We don't make a lot of moves here in Cincinnati.
Let's go for it.
You know who's happy with this move?
Joe Burrow.
because the last three years in total defense, the Bengals have been dead last.
And they just went and got an elite defensive tackle.
He fits Cincinnati's timeline.
There's not a defensive tackle in this draft nearly as good as Dexter Lawrence.
But he doesn't necessarily fit the timeline of Jackson Dart.
Everything about this football team is about getting young, cheap, and flexible on defense,
the New York Giants, and getting offensive.
It could be Scatibu, could be neighbors.
it could be another receiver, it could be another right tackle in the building.
So this just goes to show you, I like Dexter Lawrence a lot.
He did not have a great year.
And by the way, the Giants were like awful against the run, surrendered 5.3 yards a run with him.
But they've got players around him that maybe they'll eventually have to pay.
They just don't want to be hostage to a player right now as they're setting their culture.
The Bengals culture, culture, for whatever it is, cheap, frugal underachieving, they've got their culture set.
The Giants don't.
This is to set their culture.
So the same player, I think, fits Joe Burrow and the Bingle's Uber conservative, rigid culture, which is we don't make any moves.
This is so unbengal-like.
But the Giants are saying we're on Jackson Darts timeline.
Everything's about elevating him and protecting him, and we're not going to get trapped with a defensive tackle.
Who is good?
We've got other guys on our defensive front we like.
We've got other guys on defense we like, but we're not going to get trapped.
We want to be flexible.
It's just like you're seeing Denver's doing the same thing.
They're trying to stay flexible so they can go get another receiver for Bo Nix.
Here's Dexter Lawrence now as a bingle.
They wanted me here and they appreciate the work that I put in over the last seven seasons.
And, you know, I appreciate that to them.
And I'm going to do everything I can to, you know, show them that they didn't waste it.
and I'm excited.
I got a fire in me that I ain't never had this fire before.
So I'm excited and I'm excited to be a bingo.
By and large, my theory on the NFL as a general manager has always been the same.
Pay big money very infrequently.
Okay?
And keep your defense cheap unless you've got a Miles Garrett or a Jaredverse going into his prime.
or a Max Crosby. By and large, I'm not paying the defense. Even the Kansas City Chiefs,
they moved off Trent McDuffie, great corner. So the Rams, cheapest defense in the NFL,
Seahawks, bottom 10 cheap defense. That's to me how you do it. That's what the smart GMs do.
But I do think Dexter Lawrence for the Bengals, Joe Burrow is at Wits End, and this is a, okay, we've been,
we've met the playoffs three straight years. We've been atrocious defensively. This signals that
the usually super conservative bingles may be trying to appease Joe Burrow, which they should
have been doing the last three years. It works for them. It works for them. I don't think it works.
I don't think the Giants need Dexter Lawrence. They're not going to find his equal in the draft.
You're not a Super Bowl team anyway. Okay. So I thought this was interesting.
A lot of blowouts in the NBA first round. Daryl, the Sixers GM, said a couple years ago,
First round playoff should be one game.
I think three, but a bunch of blowouts.
But here's what was interesting.
Austin Reeves couldn't play.
Luca couldn't play.
Joel Embed couldn't play.
Kevin Durant couldn't play.
You know who could?
41-year-old locomotive LeBron James.
He not only played, he and Marcus Smart were sensational defensively.
That's hard for old guys.
You know, old quarterbacks can still sling it.
They can't move.
Old basketball players can still score.
They can't defend.
Ben. LeBron was very, very good. He had a plus 11. He was fantastic. I thought J.J. Reddick
won the coaching battle. And I mean, there's a reason stars win in the playoffs. And once KD.
was ruled out, it was like, okay, who's the best player on the floor? A men Thompson,
LeBron James, or Schengoon? LeBron's like, no, I'm going to be the best player. And he was.
But the reason stars win in the playoffs, it's not because the league is rigged. It's because
when you go into a long series and I can focus, my staff can focus on your players and your
inbound plays and your half-court offense and we can just focus on one opponent, equal rest,
none of the tricks work. That's why when you get to a playoff series, the longer it goes,
you can go back to the great series, the Blazers Lakers series, that Alleyoop from Kobe to Shaq.
I was at every game. In the end, who won the series? Kobe and Shaq. Phil Jackson couldn't pull any more
levers. Mike Dunleby couldn't pull any more levers. The two best players in the series,
one play decided the series. That's the reality of the NBA playoffs. So once Kevin Gar
Kevin Durant was out, LeBron's like, all right, well you know what? Luke is not playing.
KD's out. I'm going to be the best player in this game. And he was. And that's why stars so often
rise. You know, it's just, it's crazy about this, is that the rockets with Kevin Durant out,
the average age of the rocket starting lineup was 23 years old.
So old 23-year veteran LeBron beat the 23-year-old starting lineup of the rockets.
IQ, EQ, and hey, fellas, take my cue.
LeBron was sensational.
J.J. Reddick, the team was intentional.
Luke Kinnard, DeAndre Aiton.
I mean, again, that's all led by LeBron.
Remember last year in the playoffs against Minnesota?
Lakers didn't play.
The kind of apathetic, didn't play with a lot of.
of energy. I think J.J. Reddick sold that. Because if you watch that game, three minutes in,
you're like, oh, Lakers are, Lakers are dialed in. They were completely dialed in. So now LeBron
will hibernate, sleep for two days, resurfaced tomorrow as the Lakers try to go up
two-oh on the rockets. Here's LeBron. We just want to prepare ourselves the best way we can. I thought
We had a great week of preparation, but we got to continue that.
There's just one game.
We protect the home court for game one, and we've got to get better over the next 48 hours.
We understood the situation that we're going to be in, and we understand how our, basically how our demographic of offensive, how we're going to play, how to completely change.
LeBron controlled the tempo, controlled the traffic.
It was Jedi mode, and the Lakers were insanely efficient on offense, 61% from the field.
It didn't take that many shots.
They hit a great percentage of the ones they did.
But to me, what is amazing, M. Beds out, Lucas out, KD's out, Austin Reeves out, not LeBron.
41-year-old LeBron, best player on the floor.
J. Mack, you were hanging out doing family stuff.
I was zoned in on NBA playoff action.
And it was interesting in all the games, the Spurs game, OKC,
Celtics, Nicks, Laker, you could tell immediately in the majority of the games, five or six minutes in.
I thought Minnesota came out and just didn't have a ton of energy.
Yokic didn't play well, but I never doubted in the second half.
Denver was going to win that game.
If you watched it, you didn't doubt it either.
So it was kind of a weekend where the better team very quickly established an identity, played with better energy and waltzed.
I'm surprised you didn't open with the fraudulent Detroit Pistons,
the 60-win pistons who gagged at home against the Orlando Magic.
Colin, last time we talked about the Orlando Magic,
I know.
Palo Baner was a bum.
They were going to maybe blow the team up, fire the coach.
And now they just took game one against the mighty pistons and came Cunningham.
That was the one shocker over the weekend.
Everything else, you're right, according to form.
All right.
Okay.
So I've said this before.
I always think sports is a little unfair.
You get drafted.
You're this great college athlete.
You've been totally committed.
And then you get drafted often by awful teams.
Or you're a great wide receiver and you come out and you never do get a great quarterback or a great coach.
I feel bad for those athletes.
Well, A.J. Brown is about ready to graduate for the first time in his long career to an A-level,
elite quarterback. That story coming up.

What's the news, new?
Huge news.
We created our own podcast called,
Hey Jonas. We invented a podcast?
Well, we didn't invent it. We just contributed to it.
We're the first people to do podcasts.
Pretty, yeah, pretty wide range of podcasts throughout there.
But this one.
one's extra special. So how do we
actually come up with a name Hey Jonas, guys?
I honestly don't remember.
I think it was on a call about what we should
call it. Well, we were thinking
I'm originally calling
it one of the early
names of our band before Jonas
Brothers. This is how you guys remember it going down?
Yes. I have a very different memory of this.
We were talking about a thing, a bit for the podcast
where people could call in and say, hey Jonas.
And then I wrote down on my little
notebook, hey Jonas. And I
offered it up as a potential title for the podcast.
But thanks for remembering that, guys.

The French Open is one of the toughest tests in tennis.
And I know firsthand because I competed there myself.
I'm Renee Stubbs.
And on the Renee Stubbs tennis podcast, I'm breaking down everything happening at Roland Garris.
every match, every upset, and what it really takes to win on Clay.
Jenchen won.
I mean, she went down in three to Rabakina, but I'm delighted.
She's an outsider to win the French for me.
And she likes Clay.
Listen, Lina Rabakina is arguably the best player in the world right now,
and I actually can win on any surface.
Because if she's serving, well, good luck.
Consider this your court side seat to the French Open.

Imagine an Olympics where doping is not only legal but encouraged.
It's the enhanced games.
Some call it grotesque.
Others say it's unleashing human potential.
Either way, the podcast's Superhuman documented it all,
embedded in the games and with the athletes for a full year.
Within probably 10 days, I'd put on 10 pounds.
I was having trouble stopping the muscle growth.
Listen to Superhuman on the IHeart Radio app,
Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
All right, we've talked about it for a long time.
And if it happens, I think it's good for everybody.
A.J. Brown, according to this story,
Adam Schepter is likely to become a patriot.
So A.J. Brown wants out, and I'll get to that in a second.
That's the first thing.
The second thing is Mike Frable and Drake May.
are top of the class.
Okay, head coach, Kovay.
A.J. Brown, think about A.J. Brown.
You come into the NFL.
So, A.J. Brown, in college, here were his quarterbacks.
Jordan, Tuamu, Shea Patterson, Chad Kelly, and Jason Pellarine.
He goes to the Titans, who never threw the ball when he was there.
It's Tanna Hill and Marcus Marioti.
Then he goes to the Eagles, and they don't throw the ball either,
and he goes to Jalen, Hertz, Gardner, Minchew, Kenny Pickett, and Tanner McKee.
A.J. Brown's sitting there thinking,
how in the world in the last two years
has Wondale Robinson had more
catches than I have?
I may be after Justin Jefferson
the most talented receiver in the league.
He went to
Ole Miss
and when he was at Tennessee
they were bottom of the league
because of Derek Henry. They never threw the ball.
And when they did it was Tannehill.
And he goes to Philadelphia
in the last two years
at the third least pass attempts.
He can't get a break.
And now he finally gets Drake May
and a coach stops going nowhere, a quarterback that's going nowhere,
and a coordinator in Josh McDaniels,
who may be the best coordinator either side of the ball in the league.
I mean, can you imagine A.J. Brown, all these years,
putting up numbers, go look at his quarterbacks.
Ole Miss, Tennessee, Philadelphia.
Go look at the cultures of Tennessee and Philadelphia.
It's anti, as the league's moved to a passing league,
It's an anti-throw-the-ball down the field, offense, culture.
And Philadelphia is so, I mean, they're so coordinator-dependent because of Nick Seriani's
limitations.
They're just, it's a revolving door of coordinators.
So pro athletes get maybe seven or eight peak years.
I mean, he's, AJ's going to be, he's 28, now.
He's going to be 29 pretty soon.
He may have two great athletic years left, maybe.
So, I mean, all I know is if I played fantasy football,
football, I don't. I would be getting tuned up for A.J. Brown. It'll be the first time on his career.
Elite coordinator, elite quarterback, elite head coach. He had, remember, he had Mike Brable in
Tennessee, and Vrable almost was in tears when they let him go. Remember the press conference?
Vrable's like, yeah. I mean, he literally didn't know what to say. He knew what he was losing.
So he is pursuing him now. Here's Nick Foles on a recent podcast about, about J. Brown's
frustrations in Philadelphia last year and beyond.
AJ had merit looking back, like, why was he frustrated?
Well, it was why the concepts of the offense and how it was ran with Kevin Petulow.
Looking back, that's maybe what the frustration was.
Was it what Jalen Hertz?
I don't know.
I'm not in the facility.
What I've gathered is, I want to be traded, but I also think, like, he wants to be traded
to specific places.
I think New England would make a lot of sense because of his history of Rabel.
I think that's obvious, right?
And I think he even said he grew up a Patriots fan, if I'm correct.
so that would be like twofold situation.
But really because Howie's not shutting it down.
Yeah, it'd be good for the Eagles.
That's why they went and got Wix from Green Bay.
They went and got the receiver about a week ago from Green Bay.
And I said to Jason, I said they're doing this for a reason.
They're going to go, Devonte Smith will be their one, Wicks will be there two.
They'll draft another receiver with their picks and they got their three guys.
Because they're all line set, running back situation, tight ends, quarterback.
hurts for now. It just makes it. It'd be great for A.J. Brown. The Eagles will be fine.
I like the weapons for New England, but they don't have a dominant one. You get two great years out of A.J.
Brown. The coach knows him. I think everybody wins here. J. Mack with the news.
No, no, no, no. Turn on the news. This is the herd line news.
All right, let's get started with the main attraction Sunday in the NBA. Victor Wembenyama.
Colin, interesting.
They gave the Spurs prime time.
They did not give that to OKC, but that's for another story.
How about Wembe Gama last night?
21 points in the first half.
35 for the game, the most of any Spurs player ever in the debut.
And, Colin, I just have to say watching Wembeñama,
I know you like the idea of Klingin.
When they had Klingin on Wembe Nama, he would blow by him for layups.
When they put the smaller guy, Kamara, I think his name is,
Wembe just posted him up.
He's a cheat coat.
He's amazing. I love watching him.
I like the Spurs team.
I did not like the Duncan era team.
I love this Wambiama team.
Well, and Wembe's just such a different player.
I mean, and, I mean, Klingon's going to be really good.
Donovan Klingin's a really nice big in the NBA, but you can see how overmatched he is.
I mean, height matters.
I mean, Yokic can struggle with Rudy Gobert.
He did this weekend a little bit.
He didn't play particularly great.
So I think, listen, I have San Antonio getting to the finals against the Celtics.
I think Celtics because of their age and experience, have a chance to beat them.
I don't think you're going to beat San Antonio starting next year very often.
San Antonio matches up with OKC very well.
I think Denver actually matches up.
Denver is going to be a handful.
I think Nuggets have 113 straight.
Gordon's healthy.
Yokic.
Jamal Murray was unbelievable this weekend.
So the West is where it's at.
Celtics clearly separated from their conflict.
Real quick, this was the first Spurs playoff.
win in seven years?
Wow.
Now listen, one of your big takes is, hey, all the young stars,
look at how they're better than the Lakers.
Seven years, no playoff wins, Colin.
Like, again, that's what it takes to rebuild in the league.
You get your tank, you get Wemby, you got Castle.
By the way, Deerrin Fox, is he maybe one of the best
twos in the league?
Remember, he was good as a one in Sacramento.
He looks awesome.
They will need him to play well because they're so young and inexperienced.
So Deerrin, I think there's a ceiling with it, but I think he's also a really good player.
Yeah.
All right, let's move on to the New York Knickerbockers.
Really nice win Saturday over the Hawks.
It was kind of a your turn, my turn.
Jalen Brunson started off incredibly hot.
I think he hit his first six shots.
Yep.
Then he did nothing.
And Carl Anthony Towns took over.
Carl Anthony Towns basically sending a message to Nick's fans.
Hey, guys, you don't need the honest, you've got me.
Did you see how much fun he was having?
Kat was like pointing at guys talking trash.
I thought this looked like a really good Knicks team.
I mean, I thought this was a dominant performance.
Well, they got a little bench scoring.
You know, I mean, I don't think the Knicks defend the three at all.
I thought Atlanta had a half dozen wide open threes.
Didn't translate, but, I mean, New York's going to win this series.
You start looking at the Eastern Conference.
Detroit losing is a surprise, but it should be noted that before I had Orlando getting to the conference finals before the season.
and there's been some tumult with their coach and their star player.
Orlando's got a lot of talent.
So Orlando beating an offensively limited Pistons team,
it's a little shocking, but didn't we think a year ago?
We watched Orlando a year ago and we're like, man,
just give all these young guys an off season.
So it's weird that Orlando now is playing well.
But other than that, it was pretty much stayed on script,
as they say, all weekend in the NBA.
I'm not going to sell the Cavs short.
I know you're out on James Harden, you know, in the playoffs.
But I hear the strip clubs are kind of weak in Cleveland, so he was locked in,
really focused on taking down the Raptors.
But keep an eye on these Knicks, Colin.
I know everybody, oh, Celtics win by 35.
Oh, my gosh, you're so.
Keep an eye on my Knicks.
All right, let's go finally to the NFL.
And Aaron Rogers, his whereabouts currently are unknown.
But Colin, reports are trickling out that he will not give a decision to the Steelers before the draft.
about next season, which is, you know, on brand for this guy.
Here's Cam Hayward, Steelers' legend on the Rich Eisen Show,
talking about a plea for Rogers to return.
He's worn the black and gold.
Just return, baby, that's all we need.
You know, I think he had a fun time being a part of this crew,
and we really enjoyed his company, but I'd like to be able to, you know, run it back with him.
Well, again.
How about this?
Just beg, baby.
That's what Cam Hayward's doing,
begging Aaron Rogers to return.
And that's what he wants.
He wants everybody to grovel, please.
Come back, Aaron.
Aaron likes to establish authority.
And in Green Bay, one of his knocks was,
you know, I'd like to have more of a say on certain things,
and Green Bay's front office wasn't willing to give it to him.
So he kind of pouted with Mike McCarthy,
and that thing didn't work.
And then at the end, Matt Lafleur, I think, was exhausted from him.
So, you know, this is, he's a bit of a rebel.
He wants to exercise his power, and his power is not telling you what he's doing.
I mean, minicamp, I think, starts.
Mini-camp start today or tomorrow.
So, I mean, I, I, this is who he is.
And I don't blame Aaron because he's established this.
This is sort of protocol for him.
And the reality is Mike Tomlin bought into it.
McCarthy's fine with it, so you get what you get.
I mean, essentially, this is a guy, everybody has a friend who's on like divorce number three,
and you're like, well, man, maybe he'll grow up, maybe he'll get it together.
Can we depend on?
No, you can't count on those guys.
And you can't count on Rogers.
I would just say move on, you know, Will Howard, maybe you draft a kid from Baylor in the fourth
round.
I like him, Robertson.
Maybe you take a bite on Ty Simpson in the second.
I don't know.
But I would just, I'm not going to grovel for an old guy who wasn't great last year, Colin.
You thought he was serviceable.
Voluntary mini camp for the Steelersons.
starts today.
You think what are the odds he shows up?
0.0.
J. Mack with the news.
Well, that's the news.
And thanks for stopping by.
The herd lie news.
So we said to start the show, there are a lot of rumblings inside the league this morning
and people that we have contact with on this show is that Arizona is now considering,
here's one of them that we haven't talked about.
They're considering taking Jeremiah Love.
So it's a weird draft where a lot of the premium players aren't at premium positions,
running back, safety, interior offensive line.
It's a bad quarterback draft.
It's a bad running back draft.
It's a bad tight end draft.
It's a bad defensive tackle draft.
So you ever heard of raising canes?
A couple years ago, they made $5.1 billion, and they have four items on the menu.
One of them's toast.
Okay?
Like, we do what we do and we do it well.
Arizona, do what Ben Johnson did in Chicago.
Arizona should draft this guy number three.
Because last year with Jacoby Brassette, they were top 10 in passing.
They were top 10 on third down.
They had a better total offense than Baker in the bucks and Jalen Hertz and the Eagles.
You got an offensive coach from the Rams ecosystem.
Go get him.
They didn't run the ball at all last year, very good at Tide End.
exceptional at tight end, really talented at wide receiver.
Offensive line, address it later.
To me, do a raising canes.
Here's what we do.
We're not a Super Bowl team.
We've got a lot of issues in set.
I mean, they need a safety.
They need an interior offensive line.
But they've got really good skill players.
They've got really good skill players.
And if you add love, hey, we don't do a lot well.
But what we do well, we do very, very.
very well. So I don't have a problem. I would double down. I think Jeremiah Love is easily in a bad
tight end group and a bad running back here. He is easily the number one playmaker in this draft.
So they're not a great football team. That doesn't mean you can't be great on one side of the
football. That's where it starts. Arizona doesn't, I mean, they don't have great ownership.
They don't have a proven front office. The coach is a kid. They're not, they're not great in a lot of
places. But they're pretty damn good offensive skill. Wide receiver, tight end, go get great at
running back. And last year, if you go back to Arizona's draft last year, their first five picks
for all defense. So, and it's a weird draft. Again, we know who's going number one. It's down to two
players going number two, and then it's a free-for-all after that, which tells you it's a pretty
weak draft. And so go get a playmaker. And also the advantage is running back,
more than any position in football is a plug and play position in the NFL.
It doesn't take long.
Here's the ball, find the hole, explode.
Jemir Gibbs came in for the Lions.
An hour later, you're like, he's making plays.
So I like the idea of taking, if it was up to me, and I was Tennessee with Cam Ward, the
quarterback, I'd go get love.
I mean, there's very few players in this draft that are going to be really, really good.
and it's guaranteed.
Now, sometimes you'll get a guy that's a really good prospect,
but he has to play like tight ends usually don't pop until year two or three.
Or like an offensive tackle.
Even the good ones can be a little overwhelmed their first year.
Or quarterbacks.
Drake May looks lost.
Then he's really good eventually in year two.
Running back's different.
Jeremiah Love could walk in and week one of 170 yards.
And Marcus Freeman, the Notre Dame coach, came on our show a couple weeks ago and said,
Jeremiah Love is different than any Notre Dame Ries had.
Great players like Jeremiah Love make coaches look really good.
And listen, I'll take the credit.
I'll take the credit.
I don't even coach running backs and I'll take the credit.
But, man, Colin, he is a unicorn.
He is as talented and gifted of an athlete as I've ever been around.
And I think he could be an elite wide receiver.
He can be an elite DB.
he's just gifted with a unique skill set, the balance, the ability to jump over you,
the ability to run through you, the ability, like some of his most impressive runs aren't the ones
that you're going to see on TV.
Yeah, so if that's what Arizona does, I'm good with it.
I mean, we know who's going one, two guys are battling for two.
Just go take the best player, the most explosive playmaker in an offensive league,
makes sense to me. Arizona does not do a ton well, but skill players, McBride at tight end,
multiple receivers, star running back. There's your draft order. Draft, of course, this Thursday.
I saw something else. They say market size doesn't matter. I'm going in the NBA. You hear this all
the time. Well, you can be a star anywhere. I'm going to argue that market size
is now become undervalue.
And I saw it again this weekend, and we'll have that next.
Be sure to catch live editions of the herd weekdays in noon Eastern, 9 a.m. Pacific.
The NFL draft is where it all starts.
This is crazy. I can't believe it.
From the picks to the breakdowns.
Weird covering all of it.
Because in the NFL, I put myself in a position to be here.
One pick can change everything.
It's draft night long.
Join Jenny Taft, Jake Blazer, LeVar Ayrington, and former Falcons GM.
Terry Bonden up April 23rd at 5 p.m. Pacific.
And it's brought to you by Express Bros. and Webo.
It's so I'm doing for, man.
On Fox Sports Radio.
Hey, it's us, the Jonas Brothers, and guess what?
We have some big news.
What's the news, name?
Huge news.
We created our own podcast called, Hey, Jonas.
We invented a podcast?
Well, we didn't invent it.
We just contributed to it.
We're the first people to do podcasts.
Pretty, yeah, pretty wide range of.
We're starting a trend.
But this one's extra special.
So how do we actually come up with a name, Hey Jonas, guys?
I honestly don't remember.
I think it was on a call about what we should call it.
Well, we were thinking I'm originally calling it one of the early names of our band before Jonas Brothers.
This is how you guys remember it going down?
Yes.
I have a very different memory of this.
We were talking about a thing, a bit for the podcast, where people could call in and say, hey Jonas.
And then I wrote down on my...
little notepad, Hey Jonas, and offered it up as a potential title for the podcast.

Jenchen win.
I mean, she went down to three to Rabakina, but I'm delighted.

This Daily Radio Show has for seven years.
Got right into broadcasting after a 13-year NBA career.
He makes his home now in San Antonio.
So a team that for a long run was the, along with the Lakers, sort of the epicenter of greatness in the league.
and I picked San Antonio to make the finals.
I think they match up with OKC very well.
Denver is, Denver matches up kind of with everybody.
Boston could give pushback,
but let's bring in Antonio Daniels,
who gets to watch now.
He's going to watch all those spurs games.
So, listen, back in the 60s,
the great Bill Russell,
University of San Francisco, Boston changed the game.
But he was six nine.
Now, just think about that.
I saw a picture of Wemby a couple weeks ago next to a 610 guy.
And it looked like his son.
You're watching, you're watching Wembe right now.
Is there a comp that you ever played with or against?
No.
No.
And the thing is, I think anytime, Colin, we have the conversation about seeing something
that we've never seen before in this generation,
past generations take it as a slight.
Like you're disregarding the greatness of Will or you're disregarding the greatness of Bill Russell or Ralph Sampson or any of the others that you can put in that conversation.
Listen, sometimes God is up there and he'll say, you know what, young man, I'm going to give you a little bit more.
I'm not just going to make you seven four.
I'm going to make you seven full with a skill set like we've never seen before.
Now, we've seen the skill set before.
we've seen guys that are that can put the ball on the floor that can score from all three levels we've even seen long lanky guys that can do that if you think of a guy like kevin durant but one of one in the history of the sport we have never seen a guy like victim women yama that size that is doing the things that he is doing on both sides of the ball playing and simple again i'm not i'm not disrespecting any past generations whatsoever what we're seeing out of this young man right now is something that's
we've never seen before. So we obviously know defensively he alters the calculus.
I've been, I have argued before that offensively, if you don't pick him up slashing,
it gets really ugly because you have to, I mean, you have to, he's more effective offensively
than just his stats. Explain that to people that don't see him as much as you do.
Well, see, here's the thing. There are certain guys that are a walking mismatch. So you said you have to
pick him up before he heads down here.
You understand that he is starting at the center position.
So a lot of times, he is being guarded by opposing centers.
If you notice in yesterday's game versus Portland Trailblazers,
they started Donovan Klingen on Stefan Castle.
Because other centers can't match up with Victor Women Yamma's ability to put that ball on the floor.
Let's go, let's scale backwards.
And the four men can't deal with Victor Women Yamma's ability to put it on the floor.
And the three men can't deal with Victor Women Yamma's ability to put it on the floor.
And listen, I'm going to say something.
you right now that I said before and I stand behind me. If you can take off injuries, right,
if you remove injury from the equation, what we're seeing with this young man at 22 years old,
Colin, he has the capability and potential to be the best player to ever touch the NBA basketball.
Playing and simple, because of his overall impact on both sides of the basketball.
No, I mean, listen, when you take the greatest athletes ever, I remember when Tiger broke in,
he was literally taking hitting out of the rough 280 it was just you know it's work ethic genetics
when magic broke into the league and played point guard at six nine you're like okay that's not
fair and i and i think if you look at i remember when lebron came into the league in the first couple
of articles you read about him were like all right larry bird came in no six nine and a half
guys were the best shooters in the league that they were power forward
So we have a history in sports that when, I mean, Mahomes throwing left-handed, Michael, Vic, or Lamar, literally running faster than corners.
So I think we have that.
So LeBron, I thought it was interesting.
So LeBron goes into the Houston series.
Luca can't play.
And it's announced before the game Kevin Durant can't play.
So LeBron's sitting there thinking, all right, Luke is gone and Kevin Durant's gone.
I think I'm going to take this game over.
And LeBron was so intentional.
on defense. Because you know, as you get older in the NBA, you can still hoop it and score.
Defense is a different ball game. Can the Lakers, even if Kevin Durant comes back, did this give you hope?
Is there a glimmer for Laker fans thinking if we can get to six games and Luca's back,
or is it just a one-off where LeBron did something magical?
I don't think it's, I think two things can be true at the same time, Colin.
I think it could be a one-off, but LeBron has been doing it.
this all year long. What we're seeing out of LeBron is, I'm still, it's crazy to me. I retired in
2011. Let's put this in perspective, Colin. I retired in 2011, right? That's 15 years ago.
When I was with the Washington Wizards and we lost to LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers
three years and in the row, it was like 05, 06, and 07. Here we are in 2026, and LeBron James is still
doing it at this level, which is amazing to me. But listen, I, I, I don't. I don't. I'm
stand by what I said from day one. I love LeBron. I love the level that he's playing at.
I love what he's doing at his age, but I don't think that he has enough in the tank
to lift this Los Angeles Lakers team over the Houston Rockets, especially with Kevin Durant,
mainly because of Alpheemgoo, because I can see LeBron James going head up with Kevin Durant.
so be it. But the Lakers' second best player and the Houston's second best player are on two
completely different levels, unless you get that Luke Kinnard for the rest of the series that you got
in game one. Yeah. No, Shangoon didn't play well. He's better than that. Amen Thompson's fantastic.
Kevin Durant's great. I agree with you. Okay, I take your time on this, but I was thinking about
the Warriors is that sometimes you need clarity. And so, oh, it was magical. They were
win a play-in game over the clippers but in the end they are a mile they're five players maybe four
from competing forget beating competing with o kc in a seven game series okayc is the standard
Denver can compete with them san antonio boston warriors are a mile away would it be crazy
i could argue steve cur would win curry would win and the warriors could win if step
Curry said, listen, trees don't grow to the sky. It has been unbelievable. I'll always be a warrior.
But I want to go play for a winner because we're not close. You're shaking your head. You can't do that.
Because Colin, nothing good comes after butt. I was with you. I was right with you. But when you said,
but I knew we were heading in the other direction. Nothing would surprise me more because you can't say
I'm a warrior but and then ask for a trade. Like we see how good.
difficult this can be for certain guys. Obviously, you see the guys that have done it in the past,
right? You see the Tim Dunkins and, you know, you see the Kobe Bryant's and some of these guys
that have done it throughout the course of their careers, the John Stockens. But listen,
Janus is having a hard time. Janus is having a difficult time telling the Milwaukee Bucks,
listen, I think it's time for us to part ways. Because when you have grown up with this organization
and you have won championships with this organization and this foundation and this foundation of this foundation,
this championship pedigree is built on you and your skill set,
I think it's easier said than done to simply walk into that front office and say,
look, it's been real, but I think we have to part ways.
I'm with you.
I am right there with you.
I have said for years, I thought Golden States championship window closed probably four years ago,
three or four years ago.
Yeah, but with that being said,
they are still trying to make moves to put Steph Curry in a position of success.
And again, who knows what happens in the off-season, right?
Who knows what happens?
It was surprised the heck out of me if Steph Curry went in and told the Golden State Warriors.
Listen, it's been great.
I love what we were able to accomplish together.
I will always be a Golden State warrior, but I think it's time for us to part ways.
Can't see it.
You play with the Thunder.
You now live in San Antonio you have for years.
If it gets to a Western Conference final Spurs Thunder, who do you take and why?
Well, listen, man.
Listen, Colin, first we have to, we got to talk about that second round.
Before we even get to the Western Conference Finals, before we get to the Western Conference Finals,
we have to talk about what San Antonio would look like against the Denver Nuggets if the Denver Nuggets were to beat the Minnesota Timber Wars.
I don't believe in skipping steps.
I never have.
I do not believe in skipping steps.
So the question is, is it, whether or not the San Antonio Spurge or how do you?
the San Antonio Spurs match up with the Oklahoma City Thunder.
The question becomes, how do the San Antonio Spurs match up with the timber nuggets
if they get past the Minnesota Timber Woods?
As always, Antonio Daniels, looked like you could do a little crossover right now and hit a
three.
It looked like you're in great shape.
I appreciate it, brother.
I try.
I'm 51 years old.
I'm trying.
Look at that, J-Mack, 51 years old.
J-Mack, you've got to stop partying on the weekends.
I'm starting to see your age and he's 51.
I'm 60 something.
I need to recruit him from a men's league team, Colin.
You lived in L.A.
You'd be on J-Mex men's league team, wasting three.
Great seeing you, Antonio.
You too, brother.
It is, he was telling us that he doesn't live that far from Wembe.
It is, you know, you can tell a great player, here's how great Wembe is.
There are absolutely things, and LeBron and Michael Jordan would both admit this.
There are things that,
Jordan and LeBron can't do that Wembe can.
Yeah.
That's when you're a great play.
Because LeBron can say, well, look at the record books.
I can do everything Michael did.
But Michael and LeBron would admit we can't do that.
And a lot of that's just, it's just, he's such a physical outlier.
Yeah.
But, I mean, it is, you watch him out there, like, he is so graceful and fluid for his size.
Yeah.
Man, they have a chance to be unblood.
If not for Sam Presti, probably he and Brad Stevens, the best GMs in basketball.
If not for Sam Presti, would you be shocked if the Spurs reeled off six out of seven championships?
Because all their players are kids outside of D.R.
Wait a minute, Colin.
Six or six?
It's impossible to do that.
Bill and Harper, Stefan Castle.
They are, they are all.
They got a lot of guys.
All their guys are getting better every year.
They're ascending like crazy.
It's so tough to win back-to-back championships right now.
winning three in a row in this era?
I mean, in the 90s, it was easy.
Jordan wheeled it off, no big deal.
No, people said it was hard to win back-to-backs in the 70s,
and then Magic showed up, and then Bird showed up,
and then MJ show.
Back-to-back, Shaq showed up.
Kobe showed up.
Back-to-backs aren't hard.
They're hard when you have good players,
Jalen Brunson, and not great players, Wemby.
Back-to-backs happen in the NBA history.
They always happen when you get a Michael, a magic,
a bird
that's
you know
shack
back to backs
happen
all the time
in the NBA
when you get an all
time
not an all star
an all time
player
yeah
I mean we haven't seen
back to back
I don't think
since the Warriors
with KD
and Curry
because people are getting
injured
it's just the league
is loaded right now
all right
oh man
good stuff
yeah
and Steph Curry
again back to back
with KD
and with Steph
all
players.
Yeah.
All right,
Colin Wright,
Colin Wrong is
around the corner.
We're just starting
today.
I got a trade
proposition for the Chiefs.
