IHeart Radio, Fox Sports Radio, FS1, one hour from now where Colin was right, where Colin was wrong. J. Mack. Very difficult Sunday night for you, I understand. Not at all. Just a little under the weather, but the better team won yesterday? Are you sure about that?

I am absolutely sure. Positive. And you will be two. The better quarterback was who in the Super Bowl, Colin? So we start with this. Okay. Going into the Super Bowl, we knew Philadelphia was good, but they looked unbeatable. But I asked a question.

Are we sure their defense is great or did it end up looking great because it carved up awful NFC quarterbacks? The answer is yes, it's not that good of a defense. Mahomes had one incompletion in the entire second half and it was a throwaway. It looked like summer seven on seven drills. He scored on every second half possession. That vaunted Eagles D line and I questioned it last week. Record for sacks had none. Bagel, Guseg, none.

Philadelphia faced 20 quarterbacks since week five. None were pro bowlers. Mahomes own them. Philadelphia's defense faced five good quarterbacks all year. Trevor Lawrence, Aaron Rogers, Mahalms, Jared Gough, and Dak once. They averaged 33 and a half points. Blame the ref. But the only reason we thought Philadelphia was better in this game is because Mahomes was never on the field in the first half.

The minute he was, it was a mismatch. One in completion in an entire second half of a Super Bowl? Beyond that, the run game for the Chiefs, the run game averaged over six yards a carry. They averaged six and a half yards a play. The Eagles had no sacks. Patrick Mahomes only had the ball for 24 minutes, and he scored 38 points. Blame whoever you want. Philadelphia never got tested in the regular season.

Daniel Jones three times. Really? Dack once? The commander's offense was a mess, and they certainly weren't tested in the Playoffs, the Niners were snapping a ball to a running back in the end. And in their first big challenge, their first great quarterback postseason, I don't know if they folded. They were just unveiled as a very, very good defense against bad quarterbacks.

Folks, Kansas City did everything they wanted to do once Mahomes could be on the field. And that was my concern. My concern for Kansas City going in, I like the Chiefs, was, are they going to bleed the Chiefs to death by running the football? And they did for the first 90 minutes. Mahomes watched the game. That was my big concern. Would Mahomes watch it with this offense?

And that's what happened. But second halves are really big in Super Bowls. Because you're usually facing a great coach, Andy Reed, or a great quarterback, Patrick. Holmes. Daniel Jones second half already trailing by two or three touchdowns. That's not a challenge. That's where Philly got most of their sacks. Philly had no sacks. Couldn't stop the run. And Philly's going to be back, and I love their quarterback. And their aggressive head coach feels like he fits the organization perfectly. But here's another thing. In the congested

red zone, the most congested area of the field, two different. times, the Philadelphia defense wasn't within 10 yards of an eagle receiver. That's high school stuff. That is Andy Reed seeing a defense that cheats on motion. By the way, Andy Reid's, one of his best friends is Doug Peterson. Doug Peterson coaches the Jags. The Jags used this play against Philadelphia earlier this year. Doug Peterson calls Andy Reid, said they over-pursue, they cheat.

Andy said, I'll remember that. Tells be enemy, and they used it twice. Folks, you cannot. This is a congested area. There's nobody within 10 yards. That is coaching. Andy Reid, the greatest play designer of my life, worked Philadelphia's defense. By the way, it's a longer halftime.

Sometimes adjustments can be overstated in the short 15-minute time slot you have in the regular season. But at halftime of a Super Bowl, you can make real adjustments. Andy Reid did. The greatest play designer of my life with Patrick Mahomes at the helm, this is a combination we've seen before. When the great coach, Bill Walsh, has the great quarterback Joe Montana, you dominate the sport.

When the great coach, Chuck Knoll has the great quarterback in defense. Terri Bratja, you dominate the sport, Belichick and Brady, and that is now in the details and the play design, Andy Reed and Mahomes. As great as Andy is, it's virtually unstoppable in big games. Here's Andy after. He grew up in a locker room. He's seen the greats. And he strives to be the greatest. I mean, without saying anything, that's the way he works. I mean, he wants to be the great. greatest player ever. That's what he wants to do. And that's the way he goes about his business. And he does it humbly. You know, I mean, there's no bragging. He could stand up here and give you these stats that are incredible that he's had. But he never, he's never going to do that. That's just not him.

The great quarterbacks make everybody around them better, including the head coach. Let's shift to the call. I hated it, not because it wasn't a penalty. Once I got the internet to show me 17 different angles on it, it was a penalty. Out of the break, you can't grab a receiver. They're not going to give you that. I didn't see it initially. And I like officials to step out of the way in the biggest spots. I call it situational officiating.

Every time I say that, I get crushed by fans. But it was a penalty. It's just maddening a perfect game. This becomes crucial. James Bradbury grabbed a jersey out of the break. Plus, and this is something that needs to be mentioned, it's coaching. The Eagles wore dark gloves. The chiefs rarely wear white jerseys, but everybody knew they would. Rob Ninkovic, a former patriot, set it today on the air. Belichick, whenever his teams faced a team in white

jerseys wore white gloves. Belichick, unraveled, brilliant young coach Sean McVanah's Super Bowl with tricks like that. Andy Reed did the same to Nick Sariani. Dark gloves, white jerseys, folks, when great teams playing big games, it is inches not feet. We don't know if it would have been overlooked, but it's the little stuff. that McVeigh admitted Belichick's many trips to the Super Bowl, their prep was better, their game plan was better, their adjustments were better. The Eagles also had two massive mistakes in this game.

Jalen Hertz fumbles, it's picked up for a touchdown. If I would have told you before the game, okay, there's this team and their quarterback's just going to like lose the ball and it gets returned for a touchdown, would you think they would win? But this wasn't the only one. They also had a massive special teams gaff. Sean Payton called it on the pregame show,

didn't like Philly special teams. It is the longest punt return in NFL history. If I told you before the game, one team had a massive gaff by their quarterback that resulted in a touchdown for the other team, and that same team had a major special teams gaff. Does it sound like you'd win the game? You can't make those mistakes in huge games against great teams.

You can't. The Chiefs also had a major punt return, kick return against the Bengals. This is coaching. The Chiefs worked a younger coach. Go ahead. Blame the refs. I get it. That's what fans do.

And Philly did a lot of things right. But just think about this. the Philly defense was awful for two hours at the end. The Philly special teams had the gaff of the game. And the Philly vaunted Philly run game was nowhere to be found outside of Jalen Hertz. Kansas City's run game was better than Philly's run game. And it was Mahomes in the second half making key runs. Blame the ref.

I get it. Great game. You know, movies, even an average movie often has a great ending because you write it. And all the conspiracy wackos today are probably thinking that's the truth. This was a great game with an odd ending. But once you could see the grab out of the break, that's a penalty. Shannon Sharp saw it. Guys who have played in the game saw it.

And here was the guy who did it, James Bradbury, a very good corner after the game. hold on it enough for that call. I mean, that's not up for my judgment. I was hoping he would let it go, but of course, you know, he's a ref. He's a big game. And it was a hold, so they called it. I have been pushing back on fans for years. NBA fans will blame the refs and their team misses 11 free throws and has 16 turnovers.

But it's that hand check that bothers you. For two and a half hours, the defense of the Eagles, which by the way, the 49ers said during this week, there are a lot of holes with this defense. Mahomes and Reed are going to find them. Two and a half hours. The defense and the run game, where were they? Special teams, disaster.

And you're going to blame a penalty that's a penalty because of the timing of it. Nick Sariani, a young coach with an amazing future, talked about that call after. Those guys got to do that in split second, you know, scenarios. And so, you know, that's what he saw and he called it. And so that's never, I know it always appears to be that, you know, it's one call that makes it, it's not, it's not what it is, right? It's not what it is. There's so many plays that contribute to the end result of the game.

and today they were better than we were. For the record, here's the really positive news for Philadelphia. Jalen Hertz was unbelievable. He was unbelievable. His defense let him down. His special teams let him down. Let's be honest. His run game let him down.

You could argue some defensive coaching let him down in the red zone. He is the only reason keeping Mahomes on the beach. bench, this wasn't ugly. Because clearly the defense could do nothing with Mahomes, the run game, the past game. They couldn't do anything. Jalen Hertz, that is the best I have ever seen him play. And the fact that he played that well in this spot, I mean, it was, wow, I went into the game worrying about his deep ball accuracy.

In five years as a starter, five straight championship games, five straight division, titles, five straight 12 win seasons, five straight Pro Bowls. I'll say it again. And I said this two weeks ago. Mahomes is the greatest quarterback talent I've ever seen. That run right here and that scramble, that's throwing to Kelsey. With that ankle injury, it was one of the great moments in Super Bowl history. Part of being great is pain tolerance. I'm sorry it is when he was screaming at Andy Reed when he hurt his ankle and the media was saying, you've got to. take him out and he's like, I'm not taking my shoe off. Forget it. Yes, he makes the difficult look easy. But this scramble right there in that moment on that leg is one of the great plays

in Super Bowl history. And what separates Mahomes from other quarterbacks in 2022, 23, a lot of guys are productive. Goff, DAC, Cousins, there's a lot of productive guys. But does Kirk Cousins have a moment? his career. Does DAC, like a play? I think of DAC playoffs. I think of sliding and the clock running down and can't get another playoff. Mahomes not only has a play or two, he delivers in every single big game, he'll deliver one or two jaw-dropping moments. It's like Tiger winning a U.S. Open with a torn fibula in a broken leg or a torn ACL. Like, that's the the difference between Phil Mickelson and Tiger.

It's then in the biggest tournament with the most stress and the greatest competition and the best team, 17 guys for the Eagles are pro bowlers or alternates. And he's delivering that run on that leg in that moment, outrunning linebackers. There's nothing like it. It's very much Michael Jordan switching hands. it's very much Tiger with a torn ACL winning a U.S. Open. That to me was, I take notes for Super Bowls, every big play in the game, the punt returned by Philly, and that scramble.

And Mahalms sent a message very, very early to everybody in the NFL. I'm about winning. I'm going to take less. I see this all the time by the young media. everybody should be paid max not really no not really if lamar jackson and kiler if josh allen if you want joe burrow if you want max you're not going to win super bowls and mahomes very early said it's not about that i'll make my money in endorsements social media football i'll make it what's the difference between a two hundred and seventy five million dollar net worth and three oh five i want to win i'll take less i'll make it structured to

Kansas City's favor. And he has been delivering on that every day since. J-Mac with the news. No, no, no, no, no. Turn on the news. This is the herd line news. So you watched a game solo yesterday, huh? No, I watched it with my kids.

I had an absolutely great time. Some kids out of town, some kids doing stuff. You know, they love Rihanna. They were very, very much into that. but no daughter came over kids came over it was absolutely the way to do it you do your shows this is our first Super Bowl together you do the shows on location then you get home hang out with a fam watch the game love one of my favorite Super Bowl Sundays ever we made the mistake of party hopping between two buddies who had parties and so I missed the re-honor performance so did I miss

anything was she well she's great yeah I mean let's like she's great I mean I know her songs you know yeah It was kind of a medley thing, but she was reportedly pregnant and performed and was way up in the air, and that freaked me and everybody in the house out. Didn't love that. Sounds neat. Could we keep them on the ground, please, performers? You know what the guys at both parties did not understand? What? What is a catch in the NFL?

We're not going to get too much into it now. It's early in the show. A lot of people have no idea what a catch is. I'm curious. The NFL doesn't seem to know, but I digress on the refs. Let's start with the Eagles. Unbelievable season, Colin. Just came up short due to a questionable call.

late, Nick Siriani, who cried during the National Anthem. Did you see those waterworks? I love that. I love that. I mean, Colin, that wasn't like a tear. That was like real. He's really emotional. I love that. Really?

Yeah, I love when people let you see and get vulnerable and listen. You know, I don't know. I saw that and I thought, this is a guy. Reportedly the Eagles on Saturday night. This I thought about would concern me if I was a Chiefs fan. So there was a story that came out Saturday night. So you're younger. Young guys don't want to show their emotion, right?

Like when you get old, you cry about your kids every 15 minutes. So the Eagles at their hotel on Saturday night, players stood up one by one and told how much they had to overcome to get here. Grown men bawling. And I read that and I thought, okay, Kansas City's in trouble. And in the first half, it did feel like in the first half, Philadelphia played with so much emotion. They dominated. They did. But in the second half, you know, again, you get a long Super Bowl halftime.

You can make real adjustment to the Super Bowl. We've seen this, by the way, in countless Super Bowls where somebody comes out and changes the tempo of the game. They started speeding things up. Do you notice that? Kansas City went up tempo. Great game. Oh, it's fantastic. So anyway, Siriani was asked about his message in the locker room to motivate them going forward.

Here's what he said. The things that we've went through in our lives that, you know, was. something that was adversity that will overcome this too because the type of guys that we have in there that we'll use this to motivate us, we'll use this pain, we'll use this failure to motivate us so we can

make it a strength. You know what else? I think he'll use a little bit to motivate them. So Colin, not to harp on the flag at the end. So there were 63 passes before that throwaway by Mahomes. 63. Do you know how many pass interference or defensive holding calls were made?

How many? Zero. Not one defensive holding or pass interference the entire game. And then the referee throws it with like 95 seconds left. But it was a penalty. It was. But you could throw that on any play in the game. Why no? But you don't want to do that and slow the game down.

Colin. When it really matters. If Nick Shiriani cuts that up, you know, the Eagles, honestly, if I was their social media, I would put that video out. Here's 63 pass plays. See if you can spot one hold or pass. I just, it ruined a great freaking game. By the way, Kansas City. would have kicked a field goal and taken a lead.

Yeah, and Jalen Hertz would have had 90 seconds to go 80 yards. Jalen Hertz, are you doubting that guy? Philadelphia wasn't moving at that speed. Kansas City, no. Philadelphia was taking their time with drives and there were longer drives. Yes, Mahomes would drive down in 90 seconds. Of course. I'd slow down on the Jalen Hertz would drive down the field in 90 seconds.

That's really not what they do. What they do is cut you to death. six-yard run, eight-yard Goddard, four-yard run, Hurts, scramble. Kansas City has five years of will score in 13 seconds. That's not Philadelphia's offense. It is a power offense that tight-ends you to death and scrambles for nine yards to death.

That is not a drive-to-length of the field in 82nd offense. Not against the good defense. By the way, you and I both really like Jalen Hertz now going forward. I mean... He was sense. I think we'll talk about him a lot this week. He's in the upper echelon of quarterbacks in the NFL now. I don't want to hear any arguments about not paying him.

He was. I thought considering the last time he played in a championship game, he got pulled the Bama Georgia game, the fact that his character, he plays in an even bigger championship game. And I believe, Nick Seriani said after, that is the single greatest game Jalen Hertz has ever played. And let me throw this out. That Kansas City defense,

now they made some stops in the second half, But that's a real defense. That's the defense that gave Joe Burrow for the first time in four and a half months a bad Sunday. True or false. Jalen Hertz played Patrick Mahomes to a standstill yesterday. Yeah, I would say mostly. The difference is one quarterback fumbled and it became a touchdown. One team butchered a special teams moment.

The other didn't. Hertz set or tied five Super Bowl records. No, he was fan. He was unbelievable. That kid. All right, let's move on to the next story. It's Derek Carr. So remember last week we were pushing, well, not.

we, but the media was pushing. Well, Derrick Carr could go to the Saints. Well, he has said he will not go there. He will not waive his no trade clause. So they will have to dump him, the Raiders, and get nothing in return, as we predicted. Well, so here's the

thing. This is the opposite of Carmelo Anthony to the Knicks. What he's saying, basically, is I'm not going to accept any of them, so whoever I choose to go to doesn't have to give up a single draft pick. You'll get a compensatory pick when I leave.

Probably a thirds. You'll probably get a third round pick. So the Raiders already have two-fifths. They'll get two-thirds. But what Carr is saying, and I thought there'd be a bidding war for him, because there still could be a bidding war. When he goes out and meets with the teams, if Carolina

likes him and the Jets like him, they will end up bidding on. What he is assuring is the team doesn't have to empty its draft capital to get him. So it's smart by him. You know, we were at a bunch of parties, Super Bowl week,

talking to people. I don't think car is as high on the Jets list. That's not the vibe I got in Arizona, talking to people around the league, as we like to think. I think they have their sights on a couple other guys. Cars people? Or the Jets?

The Jets. Oh, the Jets have their sites. Oh, what are your sources saying on that? Who are the other people? I think there's three guys ahead of car. Three? Well, Aaron Rogers is one, obviously. I don't love that.

And Jimmy Garoppolo is another one. Okay, who's the other one? Matt Stafford. Now remember, we just bought a vineyard. Yeah, he did. He just bought a vineyard north of L.A. He did. I'm not going to say the community.

I just saw it on a site. That's not a big deal. Come on. People own stuff all around. You own a house in. No, no, no. Okay. He bought a vineyard.

Who buys a vineyard in leave? Let's see if we could get Shreger on to talk about what's going on with McVeigh and Stafford. All right. Talk to the producers. We'll get them on. Shreger, I know you're watching. Next up, final story. Aaron Rogers.

By the way, he starts his four-day darkness retreat today. Oh, he does. Yeah, exciting. Exciting. So he obviously won't be listening to the show. I don't know what to make of this, but he's going to do a lot of thinking about his future in the darkness with no social media, no television, no Netflix. All right. That's good.

That's healthy. I like that. Obviously, the Jets have reached out to the Packers about Rogers availability. There's a lot of back and forth between what the Packers are saying and what Rogers may or may not be saying. How do you read this? 51% he stays with Green Bay. Yeah. which tells you

because I firmly believe you could get a first and a second and more for Aaron Rogers and this team's already pretty darn good it tells you deep down they don't love Jordan Love they may be like him because I think right now all this nonsense

you just rip the bandit off if he could play when Farv started doing this over and over and over they just ripped the bandit off and went with Aaron so Aaron's now doing this why aren't they ripping the bandit off because Jordan Love's not Aaron so to me

this is really obvious. If Jordan Love was the guy, Aaron's gone. You wouldn't put up with this, and I'm not going to show up. I mean, do you see last week, Mark Murphy was quoted saying, the sooner we find out, the better. And then Aaron comes out and says, I'm going to do this four-day hiatus in the woods or wherever. And that'll get me closer to a decision. Not a decision. I mean, if you go four days in the woods all by yourself and can't come to a conclusion on that, to me it feels manipulative. You're just trying to toy with the orange. organization. That's what it feels like to me. I think we've talked about this. How long could you stay in a cabin, no television, no phone, just with your thoughts? I can do it for a day.

24 hours? I think so. I thought about that. I think so. 24 hours. That's a long time just sitting there. It is. It is. It is a long time. Now, no shot, dude. 24 hours? I can sleep. I'm very good at sleeping. I'd take multiple naps. I'd sleep. I'd sleep for 10 of it. Easy. So could I do 14 hours by. myself in a dark room. I'd do an hour in a dark room every day upstairs. So I just, you know, math, I'd multiply it. I would go in really under. I would take the under on 14 hours. You know what I would do? I would strategize it. I would not sleep the previous night. I would go in totally exhausted, close the door, sleep 10 hours. I got 14 hours to get my thoughts.

Can I take a pen and paper? Can I take anything? Nothing? I don't know the rules. either do I Jason I don't know the rules either J-Mac with the news well that's the news and thanks for stopping by the herd lie news where Colin was right

where Colin was wrong we'll do that in 30 minutes exactly you know it is last week my big rant that got the most pushback is Philadelphia beat up on a big 12 schedule

with bad quarterbacks, and I really think that their numbers are inflated. That's not to say Philadelphia is not stacked. But I thought what was interesting, that's not getting any discussion. The Eagles didn't have a single sack. They set like an NFL record this year for sacks. And I had said the biggest shock in this Super Bowl is going to be Kansas City's O line is way better than people think. That was my big prediction, is that this idea that the Eagles D-Line,

was going to be wildly disruptive. No, they weren't. Even with a lead in the first half, they weren't. They couldn't get to Mahomes on a bad leg. So when you go back around this, remember the example I used. This is why college football fans roll their eyes at like a TCU or Cincinnati when they get into the playoffs. Who have they played?

We don't do that in the NFL, but the Eagles hit the power ball. They got a huge scheduling break. They faced the NFC North and the Packers. were down and the AFC South and they got the Jags early who weren't very good and the Titans late when they were bad. So they got the weakest, you can talk about scheduling. They got so many breaks. Meanwhile, Kansas City had to face the Jags who were red hot. They had to face the red hot nineers blew them out. So you know, you can you can say, oh, this schedule was this schedule. The AFC is significantly better than the NFC. That is in argument.

and the lack of good quarterbacks, the Eagles play. Three of the last five times Jalen Hertz before this game had started, three of the last five before this game were against the Giants. You're playing with a lead, you're playing with a run game, it's very comfortable. You're getting breaks from your defense. Sunday, the 2003 NASCAR regular season gets underway with the Great American Race. The Daytona 500 Sunday at 2.30 Eastern, only on Fox and the Fox Sports app. So I'm going to push back on J-Mack a little bit here. Like Eagle fans are saying, Hurtz outplayed Patrick Mahomes.

So let's think about this. And counting everything, as good as Jalen Hertz was, his passer rating was 103. Mahomes was 132. Hertz also had a fumble that resulted in a Chief's touchdown. Mahomes didn't have one. as good as Hertz running was, he averaged 4.7 yards a run. Mahomes had arguably the two biggest runs in the game,

both in the second half. Mahomes is better than Jalen Hertz. Now, he's not only better, but made the key plays late. Something not being discussed. Kansas City average over six yards of carry, even with Jalen Hertz run. runs. Eagles averaged three and a half.

They weren't effective running the ball. Hertz had a couple of huge runs. But the two biggest runs, I'd argue, were Mahomes in the second half. And listen, Tom Brady lost a Super Bowl, a game in which New England didn't punt. So that's the greatest performance ever by a losing quarterback in the Super Bowl. Brady had three touchdowns, no picks, never punted. threw for over 500 yards. 500 yards.

And he lost. Jalen Hertz threw for two fewer football fields. So all that. I love him. I'm not a fan of paying anybody early. There are very few exceptions. Hertz has been hurt twice the last two years. And he's a little undersized.

And they run him way too much. 11 runs a game. Yesterday, 15. That is not. And I've been banging on Josh Allen for, for years. That is not sustainable for the next five years. You cannot run him this much. I thought he played very well. And I think what I was most impressed with is that if you're really honest as an Eagle fan, your special teams let you down, your run game let you down, and your

defense let you down. All of them hurts is the only reason he was able to keep Mahomes off the field in the first half. That's why Hertz is amazing. The minute he couldn't single-handedly sustain every drive, Mahomes. Mahomes would have done that in the first half, too. But he was never on the field. He went like 40 minutes. He wasn't on the field.

So, you know, everybody is, you know, it's the greatest performance. I bet. No, Brady threw for five football fields, no interceptions and lost. And Brady didn't have a fumble. The other guy pulled back, other team. took for a touchdown. That was a gaffe. That was all on hurts. All. But I did think it's as good as I've ever seen him play in a big spot. Take away the fumble touchdown by Kansas City. Nick Seriani agreed. To me, Jalen played the best game I've seen him play in the two years we've been

together. He was outstanding. I really thought he was in complete control. He did things with his legs in the run game. He did things with his arm in the past game, made some unbelievable throws, unbelievable reads. I thought he played outstanding. And really, you look at the game and that was good for the NFL in the sense that the two best quarterbacks in the NFL played against each other on the biggest stage and the biggest lights. I've said this before. There's five quarterbacks in the NFL. I would not pick up the phone if I was a general manager. Mahomes is one, burrow two. Alan, Herbert, Trevor Lawrence.

Size, productivity, grown up, that's five. And then when I did this a couple weeks ago, I said, I'm not sure who six is. There's an argument this morning hurts his six. That's a fair argument. What I watched yesterday was, wow, because let's be honest, Eagle fan blaming the ref. Your defense was atrocious.

Your special teams cost you the game. Biggest play of the game, arguably. And your run game, nowhere to be found outside of Hertz. Mahomes got much better support from his special teams, from his defense, from his run game, from his coach. Mahomes got much better support in this game. Andy Reed and Eric Bianami in the red zone worked. That Eagles defensive staff.

I'm going to tell you, Colin, before the game, Patrick Mahomes throws for 182 yards. Your response is? they lose. Okay. No, no, no. Jaylor's was as good or better than Mahomes. I will not accept that he was worse than Mahomes. I will not.

I mean, dude, he had 10 rushing first downs. Yeah, Hurts. He was unstoppable in this game. Now, now, let me. Every key play. And I don't know if we have the two-point conversion. If we could get it on the screen.

Oh, no, that was amazing. I mean, I know Mahomes's run, that Scramble was incredible. But the two-point conversion run, when you're trailing by two, fourth quarter, like, what, five minutes left. And he starts running down. You're like, oh, my gosh, there's no way he's getting it. There's like four defenders there. And he just ran through everyone. The first hit was at the four. Hertz was an absolute war. If I ask you right now, Lamar, Jalen Hertz going forward.

Oh, come on. No. There's too much drama around Lamar. He wants all the money. He's had, he's been injured the last two seasons. I'm taking Jalen Hurts. No, I agree. After watching that game, I totally agree. Aaron Rogers. Darkness retreat. 39. No, no, thank you. There's too much drama. Jalen Hertz is, that guy's in the film room. You hear his quotes. He just sounds like he's, that's your franchise guy. That's who you want representing you at the podium, out in public. You and I did this a couple weeks ago. We didn't know who number six was. Now, I would have put Kyler Murray or Matt Stafford, but then Stafford's interesting. But he fell apart physically. And, Ann, and can be reckless. I never feel Jalen Hertz is reckless. Listen, that fumble was weird. It just came out of his hand. It was, it was random.

But Stafford's older, banged up, and can be reckless. Lamar, a lot of drama. Jalen Hertz, my mind take away on this, I had heard during the week, I can say this now that a member of the Fox crew was at the Eagles practice and Hertz wasn't great on the deep ball. And so that was kind of something, it was one of these, we weren't going to say it publicly, but I had heard, it didn't have a great day throwing a deep ball. And then I watched. So all game, and that was about the time of the week I moved to Kansas City on my pick about Wednesday. That wasn't a problem. He was, that AJ Brown throws, he just made great throws. If you looked at the three best throws in that football game, Jalen Hertz had all of them.

And I'm not diminishing what Mahomes said. He was great. Mahomes, by the way, the two touchdown passes that Reed and B. enemy schemed up. White open. Sky Moore, nobody around him. Cadarius Tony, nobody around him. No, I'm not disagree.

Jalen Hertz made, and listen, I don't want to go refs, but the Devante Smith catch before the half that was ruled in no catch. Everybody I'm watching the, it's a catch. He caught it, he lands out of balance, the ground causes the fumble. Colin, by the way, I know that's a small play. They had to settle for three there. If that's a rule to catch, they're in the red zone with like a minute left. I didn't think that was a catch.

What? Because I thought he bobbled it, and by the time he secured it, one foot down, left. I think Mike Pereira was saying. Well, Mike. That was a bang, bang, like, it could go either way. Okay, and it went the other way. Mike Pereira didn't say bad. Callie said, go.

It's weird how the Eagles, I just became a referee guy. Damn it. Damn it. But listen, it was a great game. And I also, I will say, yes, I had a couple shekels on will the game go overtime. I think it was like plus 700. It would have been an awesome hit, but did not materialize. Okay. Can we all just admit Andy Reid's the greatest play designer of all time? Yes. Okay. He's the best coach in my life off a buy. That's not disputable. He's the best quarterback elevator of my life making average guys. I mean, literally Donovan McNabb came into a Super Bowl. didn't come in shape and threw up during the game. I love that Belichick often coached out of fear, and I think Andy Reid coaches more out of joy and fun.

Those red zone plays will go down as some of the greatest offensive calls in big spots. The Philly Special was always one of the all-time greats. That was a protege of Andy Reid. He worked Belichick. I think it's pretty obvious. Doug Peterson and Andy Reed talked probably during the week. Now, nobody wants to put it out there because nobody wants to take sides.

But it is those two red zone calls. They clearly found the Eagle DBs cheating and they brought them out at the perfect time. And there's been quotes now by Eric B. Enemy, who acknowledges they saw Philadelphia D.Bs overreacting to motion. and cheating. That game could have come down. If these are field goals, it's a different outcome. That is coaching at its greatest.

By the way, Colin, both those touchdown passes to Skymore and Tony were on third down. Huge high leverage plays. And in the red zone wide open. So that, folks, if you want to know what coaching looks like, those two plays are coaching. What is coaching? We find a tendency you have. a habit that is something we can exploit. Unleash at the best perfect time.
