Guaranteed Human.
Hey guys, it's us.
The Jonas Brothers. I'm Joe.
I'm Kevin.
And I'm Nick.
And guess what?
We created our own podcast called, Hey Jonas.
We invented a podcast?
Well, we didn't invent it.
We just contributed to it.
We're the first people to do podcasts.
We get to ask other people questions because we're sick and tired of being asked questions.
Well, sick and tired is a strong way to put it.
But, you know, tired and sick.
Listen to Hey Jonas on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you.
you get your podcast. Just listen.
We don't care where you hear it.
Will Farrell's Big Money Players and IHeart
Podcast Presents soccer moms.
So I'm Leanne. This is my best friend, Janet.
Hey. And we have been joined at the hips
since high school. Absolutely. A redacted
amount of years later, we're still
joined at the hip. Just a little bit bigger hips.
This is a podcast. We're recording it as we
tailgate our youth soccer games in the back of my Honda Odyssey.
With all the snacks and drinks.
Why did you get hard seltzer instead of beer?
Oh, they had a bogo. Well, then you
Listen to soccer moms on the Iheart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
What's up, fam? It's Isaiah Thomas.
And I'm C.J. Toledano. It's our favorite time of the year on our podcast point game, the playoffs.
We're digging into the biggest surprises of the season. And I'm looking back on some of my greatest playoff moments.
If we didn't talk ever again, I was part of it. You just understood.
That's how personal it got. Wow.
Then after that game seven, Marquis come in to him, he's like, you know I love you, dog.
You know, it's all love. This was just playoffs. This was just basketball.
So listen to Point Game on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Hey, I'm Deanna Maria Riva, and on my new podcast, How Hard Can It Be?
I call on my Gen X squad from Ohio to Hollywood as we navigate Midlife's most fantastic BS.
Unfiltered conversations from night sweats to futas to scheduling sex.
Wait, what sex?
Is it just me or does every woman my age want to look at Pinterest instead of having sex sometimes?
They say we can't polish a turd, but we're sure going to.
to try. So let's get blunt with laughs, tears, or tears of laughter. Listen to How Hard
Can It Be with Deanna Maria Riva on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your

You're listening to Fox Sports Radio.
Here we go.
It is our first Friday of the football season.
We are live.
We are in Los Angeles.
It is the herd blazing five and one hour from now, wherever you may be.
And however you may be listening, thanks for making us part of your day.
I will say, J-Mack, I'm sitting there watching that game last night.
Who-hoo!
And, you know, it's an old cliche, but there are bad wins.
You know, you win a game and you lose two star players.
And there are great losses where you learn a lot about your team.
I watched that game last night for Dallas.
And maybe it's because I had such low expectations.
But I thought that was about as encouraging a loss.
Philadelphia boat race the Cowboys twice last year.
And Dallas had that game.
Can I ask you which game, the one before the lightning delay or after?
Because they were totally different games.
They were.
So let's just start with this.
Listen, if C.D. Lamb catches that deep ball and it was a perfect throw, another one by D.
Dak, I think Dallas wins the game.
They had more first downs.
They were slightly better on third down.
They had fewer penalties.
They had more total offense.
And I thought their clock management, oh, was an issue in Dallas with McCarthy, was very strong at the end of the first half.
Yes, Jalen Carter's absence due to spitting is a big break.
He is just a complete absolute difference maker.
And for the first half, the Eagles defense was trying to sort things out and figure out how to play without Jalen Carter.
But Dak played well.
Don't blame it on Dak.
He had people in his face in the second half and made great throws.
And here's the thing about Dak.
He's 32.
He's off his second surgery.
They had to screws were needed to reattach his hamstroth.
his hamstring. Yet he moved well. He threw with confidence. He didn't get sacked. And again,
in the second half, Vic Fangio dialed it up. He was under duress. Also for Dallas, I thought the
offensive line, again, no Jalen Carter. Yeah, we know. It helped. But I thought the offensive line
held up well. I thought they found running lanes. I thought C.D. Lamb and George Pickens
against an excellent secondary. That is,
an excellent, young, talented, secondary, and linebacking corps, both George Pickens and
C.D. Lamb created space. Beat their coverage. And also, oh, what are we going to look like
without Michael Parsons? Michael Parsons is a great player. He's not the soul of his team. Last year,
with Michael Parsons, the Eagles averaged 37 and a half points against Dallas. Last night was
24. And would have been a win if C.D. Lamb didn't become C.D. lame and dropped three passes.
The O line looked good.
Keep your eye on James Houston, who was great as a rookie.
He's been beat up.
He struggles to stay healthy.
But I thought he looked really good.
And listen, I have been highly critical of Brian Schottenheimer.
But you could not watch the Cowboys last night on the road, rain delay, and not think they're buttoned up.
They're good on third down.
They're emotionally in check.
Very few penalties.
So I, listen, you could have bad wins in this league if you lose a star quarterback but win.
You could have good losses.
This is a, at certain places, a young Dallas team, I think they're going to score some points.
I was really encouraged by the offensive line.
Again, at halftime adjustments, but Dak wasn't getting sacked.
He was moving around.
I think you have to be happy as a cowboy fan.
Throughout the game, I'm thinking, Dallas don't screw it up.
Get a top 10 lottery pick, but they still got, what, three years to pay DAC, maybe after this year.
So they're invested in DAC.
But overall, here's Brian.
I thought it was pretty impressive.
We got the right type of guys.
We got good players.
Again, like I said, you saw what we're capable of in the first half offensively.
You saw what we're capable of in the second half defensively.
We just got to put the game together in a more complimentary fashion.
We had chances out there, and there's no moral victories for us.
We had a chance to win that game and weren't able to do it, and it'll sting.
I mean, I thought Dallas, honestly, I thought it was a B-plus-plus performance.
Obviously, the rain delay didn't help them, but you're on the road.
Philadelphia's got the better team.
It really came down to CD-LAM making one big catch, but very impressive by Dallas.
Shockingly, so for me.
Okay, let's talk Eagles.
What did I spend 10 minutes on yesterday with the Eagles?
I said, they do a lot of things lousy franchises do.
And they did it again last night.
Jalen Carter couldn't get a snap in before he got tossed.
They had more penalty yards in the first half than any team in the NFL last season had in the first half.
The Eagles last night.
I mean, they went the entire game and barely even glanced at A.J. Brown.
they had multiple personal files.
They were emotionally out of control.
They had a dumb taunting penalty when you know the league's been warning all the teams.
Taunting were not standing for it.
I mean, I saw a big dumb more than I saw A.J. Brown.
And Philly's got a lot of new faces on defense.
So they needed Jalen Carter.
That was a big loss.
But once again, and we talked about this yesterday, you know what?
I've always loved Jalen Hurts, not as much as anybody else.
else, but boy, did you see it last night?
Stoic, intelligent
leadership. Do you realize in his last
15 starts that he's played the entire
game, he's 15 and 0? And last
night it was classic Philly.
Drama everywhere. Taunting
penalties, personal fouls, Jalen
Carter. And here's
Stoic, Jalen
Hertz, grown up.
I mean, now, Vic Fangio deserves credit.
He couldn't figure out in the first half what to do
without Jalen Carter. They go in at
half time, Fangio's like,
all right, we're going to switch some things up. He did. Vicks great. So it took them a half to figure out what to do defensively.
But I thought Jalen Hertz faced more pressure overall consistently than Dacted. I thought Dallas's front got pressure.
But he is so mentally dialed in. This guy is such an impressive human being.
I almost think Jalen Hertz is an impressive human being. The quarterback is second.
But this was a classic game for Philadelphia, where they kind of melted down in the first half.
Carter, taunting, penalties, personal fouls.
They were kind of a wreck.
But what pulled it through?
Jalen Hertz, picking up first downs.
He just, you know, it's like Philadelphia is a big noisy family.
And I learned this when my dad, you know, passed away.
Like, who's the executor of the will?
And they gave it to my sister.
Right?
Like, all right, Collins distracted.
Give it to my sister.
And I feel like this is a big, loud family.
If you ever had to give the executor of the will to anybody for the Philadelphia Eagles,
I wouldn't give it to Nick Seriani.
The executor, it would be Jalen Hertz.
Because last night's first half, there was nothing but drama in Philadelphia.
And there's a big story.
Something's going on with A.J. Brown.
We'll get to that in a second.
But here's Nick Sariani on the Jalen Carter incident.
We want to have great, like I said,
energy, tenacity, all those different things,
but we got to do it within the rules of the game.
And, you know, we'll address that.
We'll go through that, but we got to get better in that scenario
because we need that guy on the field.
He's a really good player.
The other thing to think about, and I'm going to get into this after the break,
but there is one thing, because Philadelphia,
if Jalen Hertz is playing the entire game, Philadelphia wins.
Okay?
There is one thing, Jason, and Jason was on this couple years ago.
I got to give him credit that blows up a dynasty or a great team.
Wide receiver drama.
And the AJ Brown situation, last year you start looking at the data, he is not the guy you think he is.
I always said this, Warriors won pre-KD and post-KD.
The soul of the team was Draymond and Steph.
It was not Katie.
Katie was the most talented.
And I could argue AJ Brown's as talented as everybody on Philadelphia.
But I'm going to give you some numbers after the break to show you.
You know what it felt like last night to me?
We didn't work together at this time.
Rani Moss goes to the Patriots, and he's unbelievable.
And you're kind of waiting for the next shoe to drop.
And then I forget what year it was,
but there's a Monday night football game, New England goes to Miami.
I think it was in Miami, but it was the Patriots Dolphins,
and they target Rani Moss once.
And I remember, I worked at ESPN.
I went on the air that Tuesday morning, and I said he's out of here.
And everybody back then I would take emails or calls for the show.
And everybody's like, no, you're overreacting.
I'm like, the most talented receiver in the game.
On a team that doesn't draft receivers, you target against a rival team, Miami.
You target him one time.
It's not like you targeted him eight times and the coverage was good.
A.J. Brown was targeted, what, once last night?
Okay, so that tells you Jalen Hurts and A.J. Brown, because Dallas Goddard was eaten last night.
Saquan was eaten.
Dodson got looks.
Devonte Smith got looks.
AJ's more talented, arguably, than all of them except Sequin Barclay and got one look.
That is not coincidental.
Not great at all.
And it was not just one target.
It was one target with like five minutes left in the game.
Colin, that offense did not look good at all.
You can't rely on Jalen Hertz to bail you out of every third down.
They had one pass completion over 10 yards.
One, the bomb to Dodson.
That's it.
short. I know it's a new offensive coordinator for Hertz, which is the case almost every year.
But Colin, I'm with you. The takeaway is Dallas look better than advertised, and Philly did not
look particularly sharp. No, but I will say, the rain delay helped Philly. You know, it's hard
enough to go on the road. Like, it's hard to go on the road. The crowd's against you. And then
you prepare, and Dallas had a very good game plan. And then all of a sudden, you got a rain delay
after half time and you're like, okay, it's hard.
And I felt for Dallas, I'm like, oh, this is like Philadelphia, the football gods.
Remember the Super Bowl where the lights went out?
It's like sometimes a team that when the lights go out, you come back on or there's a delay.
Some players don't react as well.
It's always felt like it's an advantage being the home team if there's some malfunction or delay.
And I just felt like after that, I thought Philly was a little more dialed in.
But you cannot come out of that game.
not say to yourself with Dallas, because my thing was Schottenheimer. He hadn't been offered
or interviewed for a head coaching job before Dallas. For 14 years, and offensive coaches
all get interviewed. So, like, he was not the party of the, you know, the bell of the ball
by owners or GMs as an offensive coach. But maybe he's a walk-around guy, and his stoicism
and chill approach works with Jerry. It could be. Let me just push back and I'll offer this.
Jalen Carter's not tossed.
You could just take away all those A-Gap runs where Javante Adams is running.
Fair.
By the way, Javante Adams total for rushing yards was like 37 and a half.
Yeah.
He had like 58 yards rushing.
Okay, so that's not fair.
And then all of a sudden, Dac gets pressure up the middle.
Javante Williams, sorry.
I just, I don't really know what to make of either team.
But here's my take, though.
You're right, but the truth about availability, it's on you.
So that's, I am not going to say, well, Dallas with Jay,
Ceylon Carter. I don't know.
Yeah.
But you know what? You're not mature.
You had red flags coming out of Georgia.
This won't be the last time you get in trouble.
So you know what?
Dack could have easily spit back and didn't.
But the mature Dax's like,
now, bra,
Jalen Cresol, Philadelphia's drama
is self-inflicted.
Okay, I don't, you know, so you're right.
I do think Dallas
found some running lanes that they wouldn't have
found, but I will say the past protection.
Pretty good.
Nolan Smith was the only guy getting to him.
I am curious if Micah Parsons is there for Dallas on that.
Is he setting the edge containing Jalen Hertz?
It felt like they missed Michael Parsons.
I didn't hear a lot of that discussion on the broadcast.
Well, I thought Houston was really good.
He was solid, but imagine if he was opposite Michael Parsons.
Then it's like, well, Jalen's not running wild.
I mean, Jalen was just clowning.
Yeah, right.
Carter's gone for Philly.
Mike has gone for Dallas.
And so you could say, well, it's kind of a wash.
It just looked like if you didn't know anything about Philly or Dallas
and you were dropped spaceship in front of a TV and you watch the game.
Your takeaway would be, yeah, I mean, they're pretty close.
Even.
Yeah, I watched them play twice last year.
Lobsided.
It was bam in the dynasty against Kentucky.
It was like, oh, these teams shouldn't be on the same field, both games last year.
Last night I was like, no, they match up, the lines match up.
Be sure to catch live editions of the herd weekdays in noon Eastern, 9 a.m. Pacific.
on Fox Sports Radio, FS1, and the IHeart Radio app.

Hey, it's us, the Jonas Brothers, and guess what?
We have some big news.
What's the news, name?
Huge news.
We created our own podcast called, Hey Jonas.
We invented a podcast?
Well, we didn't invent it.
We just contributed to it.
We're the first people to do podcasts.
Pretty, yeah, pretty wide range of podcasts throughout there.
But this one's extra special.
So how do we actually come up with a name, Hey Jonas, guys?
I honestly don't remember.
I think it was on a call about what we should call.
it and well we were thinking I'm originally calling it one of the early names of our band
before Jonas Brothers was this is how you guys remember it going down yes I have a very different
memory of this we were talking about a thing a bit for the podcast people could call in and say
hey Jonas and then I wrote down on my little notepad hey Jonas and offered it up as a potential
title oh but thanks for remembering that guys listen to hey Jonas on the iHeart radio app Apple
podcast or wherever you get your podcast. Just listen. We don't care where you hear it.
What's up, fam? It's Isaiah Thomas. And I'm CJ Toledano and our podcast point game is about
defying the odds. Like LeBron heading into the playoffs without Luca and Austin Reed.
And finding ways to win no matter what. He's the smartest player to ever play the game.
His IQ is at a level that we've never seen before. And he knows without Luca and Austin
Reeves, I got to manipulate the game. We get a player's perspective on the challenges of the playoffs.
I think Joker's going to be exhausted this series because when they don't have Rudy in the lineup,
he has to really guard guys like Nas Reid.
He has to guard Julius Randall.
And then he has to give us everything he gives us on the night-to-night basis on offense.
And when IT's friends stop by, like Quentin Richardson, we dive into some playoff history too.
Steve Nass would get that thing.
That man, hell get to fly.
He running up the court, licking his fingers, why he got the bar.
Like, you go through a training camp with that, Isaiah, you figure it out real quick.
Get your ass up and down the court, and you're going to get the ball.
So listen to Point Game on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
This week on Crimless, we're joined by our first ever guest.
Sorry, our first ever human guest.
I don't think I could be in the same room with Shamrock the pair.
I'd be too nervous.
That's right.
The very funny Will Farrell joins Rory Scovel and me, Josh Dean, for an episode dedicated to the many crimes
committed by people also named
Will Farrell.
They called to his fellow officer
for the nippers.
What are the nippers?
Very good question.
No, I was thinking, would that be a good name
for like a salad dressing? Simple assault.
And it's a play on word, salt?
Maybe not.
I say we invest and we see.
There's only one way to know.
This did not amuse the cops.
By the way, normally the cops are amused.
But this did not amuse the cops.
Will even comes clean about some of his
own crimes. I didn't get caught. You know why? If you don't want to be suspected of anything,
you whistle as you walk. Listen to crime lists on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you
get your podcast. Agency, the ability to know that we're the experts in our own body.
On the podcast, cultivating her space, Dr. Dom and Terry Lulmex create a space where black women
can show up fully and be heard. I wholeheartedly think, you know, you hit 30. You shouldn't
have to share one with anybody.
Mm-hmm.
From navigating friendships and healing to setting boundaries and prioritizing your mental health.
These are real, honest conversations.
We don't always get to have out loud.
Totally unreasonable with different parts of life, right?
Like, oh, have all three meals and make sure you're mindful during all of them?
Absolutely not.
During one meal, I'm standing.
I'm standing and handing my children food.
Because healing, empowerment, and resilience aren't just ideas.
their practices.
And this Mental Health Awareness Month,
there's no better time to pour back into yourself.
Listen to cultivating her space on the IHeart Radio app,
Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast.
As I've talked about with receivers,
they're the convertible sports car.
Great until the weather gets bad.
Really, really cool in the garage.
Everybody talks about him.
What gets you to work in January?
You're not driving the convertible sports car,
especially on this team that led the NFL
and Russia attempts last year.
So this is, if clearly,
quarterbacks from Mahomes to Brady to Manning to Jalen Hertz,
they throw to targets they trust.
He trusts Dallas Goddard.
He had seven catches on seven targets.
He trusts Devonte Smith.
He trusted Dotson.
He didn't trust A.J. Brown.
It was the first time in six years,
A.J. Brown, no targets' first half.
Also, last couple of years,
I saw this this morning.
when a j brown is held under 50 yards last two years
Philadelphia is 7 and 0 again don't confuse luxury with necessity
when you're doing your budget at home the second pair of golf clubs is a luxury it is not a necessity
so you know listen he can take his book club to another city books travel well that's how
amazon started you could always take the book club to another city books travel well that's how amazon started you could
always take the book club to another city.
I wouldn't pause for a second.
Listen, it is a position for the reasons we've discussed many times.
You get highly emotional athletes.
They want the ball.
They're first out of the huddle.
They're on an island.
They're often the best athlete on the team.
I get it.
But AJ Brown, this is not the Tennessee Titans when he left.
They were just, they didn't have an elite quarterback.
They didn't have this offensive line.
Philadelphia has an embarrassment of riches.
They have nailed the last four or five drafts, top players.
It looks like, you know, they hit on all those Georgia SEC guys.
They got plenty of talent.
And plenty of talent and running back wide receiver.
I would move off him in one second.
And he's got a market.
And I've said this before with emotional receivers.
Not all of them are.
Larry Fitzgerald wasn't.
You know, is Pooka Nakua?
I don't know.
But here's my thing.
Some employees are good for about three years.
I mean, we've all worked with that.
person. You know, some people you date, some you marry. Some people you build a franchise around
in all sports. Some are, they come in, they deliver, they're emotional. You don't want to build
a franchise around. We've all had relationships like that. Some you marry, some you date. Doesn't
mean who you're dating's less fun, but there's a stability issue. Maybe you don't trust them as much.
They've got habits you don't love. So in my take is this is not A.J. Brown, Stefan Diggs. I've
said, I like him.
Randy Moss.
I love Randy Moss.
But Calvin Johnson or Larry Fitzgerald had a different temperament.
You could build around Calvin or Larry.
And I think AJ is just a really talented guy, but one target with his talent, something's up.
Here's J.
Mac with the news.
No, no, no, no, no.
Turn on the news.
This is the herd line news.
All right, Colin, let's get started with Micah Parsons.
I cannot believe this.
They told me about this, and I'm like, no way.
Micah Parsons is already talking trash.
He's been in Green Bay for five minutes,
has an unpacked his suitcase,
and has unloaded on the Lions.
Take a listen.
I never liked Detroit.
I never liked him.
Even when I was in Dallas,
it's just always,
it was just always a heavyweight fight
every time they came in.
And they kind of got our guys
when I was injured last year.
Trick plays are for people
who can't beat you straight.
straight up. It's like a guy running around the ring all day trying to jab, but meet me in the middle.
You know what I mean? Let's line it up. And I think that's what guys who try to do trick plays do.
They can't beat you head up.
What is he doing?
I love the swagger.
Colin, do you think they're going to pull him aside and be like, hey, hey, bro, that can fly in Dallas with your guy, Jerry.
We don't operate like that here. We are professionals.
He has not had a play with this team, and he's lobbing grenades at the Lions, who I believe swept Green Bay Lassey.
Well, he also had a spicy podcast.
You know, Micah.
Is he trying to gin up the numbers?
Micah sometimes is about Micah.
I think that's fair to say.
He's a little bit about Micah.
I love him as a player.
Think he shrink sometimes against playoff games against the very best left tackles.
but, you know, listen, it's football.
People get all gassed up and fired up.
So I, I get, listen, A.J. Brown worries me more because when the quarterback doesn't target you, it's saying volumes.
A pass rusher before his first game in a historic franchise against the rival at home.
He's fired up.
You want to give Dan Campbell, your boy, bulletin board material?
You sure?
He's going to show that clip to his team.
Whoever the new offensive coordinator is Joe Bob, whatever's,
name is. Hey guys, let's dial up the trick place. Let's get him. I don't love that, Micah,
for Green Bay. I do like the Packers this weekend. Let's move on to Jaden Daniels. Big game on Fox Sunday
against the commanders. Colin, a lot of the pro gamblers I know. They love the Giants here getting
points. Dan Quinn, he's fired up about his quarterback going into year two. Jaden has a rare focus
about him. He doesn't get that too far over his skis. The best of the best. Have that.
He's going to be facing one of the best defensive fronts in the league.
I am so fired up to watch Abdul Carter.
A lot of people felled in the draft.
He was the best player.
He would have been a top six pick in any draft.
He was a, there are people from Penn State.
There are people that think he could be Michael level, like that good.
He is a force.
He's dominant.
They didn't play him a ton on the free season.
I think they saw after about five snaps.
They're like, yep, he's good.
This is an interesting game.
I am also curious, you know, very familiar Brian Dable.
Giants were in a lot of one-score games last year.
Bad, bad, bad quarterback play.
That's right.
So my take is this is Blazing 5 in 35 minutes.
This game may be in it.
So you are going to do Blazett 5 today.
I thought you were talking about chicken and out last year.
Remember after the over?
A year ago, I didn't have the confidence I have today as a broadcaster.
I have grown a lot in the last 30th year of broadcasting.
Yes, I'm happy for you.
Final story is let's go to a less sexy matchup,
and that is Aaron Rogers against the New York Jets,
his old team.
Obviously, Justin Fields who was with Pittsburgh last year.
Interesting tidbit that came out yesterday.
Garrett Wilson, a top 10 receiver in the league.
Remember, he was boys with Aaron Rogers last year?
Well, take a listen to this.
I ain't talked to Aaron since he left,
so wish him the best this season.
Yeah, but, you know, we ain't chopped it up since he left.
Yeah, you ever noticed that?
Devonte Adams left him.
I always hear what a great teammate he is.
It's funny.
Garrett Wilson is number one receiver.
Devonte Adams left Green Bay for the Raiders.
They're tight.
He and Greg Jennings had a falling out.
Everybody likes Greg Jennings.
He's the nicest guy.
I was looking at the Jets' depth chart.
I mean, listen, this goes both ways.
they know Aaron Rogers' tendencies.
The defense does.
Yeah.
Okay?
But Aaron Rogers knows the skill set of the defense.
He knows it.
He's a really, to me, it's an interesting matchup.
I know this is not.
I think it's going to be ugly, but I think the Texans Rams is going to be ugly.
Yeah, but that's a better kind of ugly.
This is just bad.
These are not good teams.
Unless you think the Steelers are okay this year?
I don't.
I think they're, I've said, I think they're eight, nine or nine an eight.
Yeah.
It's also, Aaron Rogers has been, it's almost peculiar.
He's been really bad in week one.
Yeah, when you hang out in Egypt in the off season, maybe skip a session of OTAs.
Aaron has not been a fast starter.
Yeah.
There were reports he was a burning man, too, no, I'm just kidding.
It's a good look for him.
Jay Mack with the news.
Well, that's the news.
And thanks for stopping by.
The Hurdline News.
So Matt Hasselbeck also today.
So I was watching that game last night.
And Micah Parsons is really talented and C.D. Lamb is crazy talented.
But we all get the value of DAC.
And if you look at Dak's impact on the Cowboys career, when DAC plays and DAC starts and
Dax healthy, they're 76 and 46, and they average 27 points a game. A lot of wins in the NFL.
When Dack doesn't play, they average a touchdown less. And he does not throw the prettiest ball.
But he's on his third coaching staff. There's always constant drama around him. He's had multiple,
I think, three C.D. Lam drops. But yet once again, when Dack is healthy, they're either winning or they're in games.
and Dak Prescott could have had a spicy podcast.
Now that was Micah.
Dak Prescott could have his own radio show.
No, that's the owner, Jerry.
Dak could have both of those.
His focus, once again, is on the game and is usually on Sunday.
So I've used a term for years and years.
I call it quarterback, heel, like presidential, quarterbackiel.
And I think last night was a great example of quarterbackiel.
This is why I've been tough on Baker Mayfield or Johnny Mansell or silly quarterbacks or Drew Locke dancing on the sideline.
Stop it.
Grow up.
There is drama everywhere with Dallas every second.
And last night, before the game, you got a guy spitting at him.
Jalen Cart.
Dack doesn't react.
Dack doesn't react.
Well, Dack spit first.
Dack spit on the ground.
And then Jalen Carter comes up.
and spits on him.
Like,
Dak's spit is,
he's got cowboys in front.
If he was trying to spit at somebody,
he would have been spitting on cowboy teammates.
This is quarterback eel.
The grown-up in the room.
Here's Dak on the spitting incident.
I just spit ahead,
but I'd say he was back there where Jerry was in that sense.
And he asks,
or he goes,
you're trying to spit on me?
And at that point,
I mean,
I felt like,
like, like,
He was insulting me.
Like, I wouldn't spin on somebody.
I'm damn sure not trying to spin on you.
Like, we're about to play a game.
I'm wondering why you're trying to mess with the rookie.
So when I stepped through, I actually say the words, like, what the hell would I, excuse me,
but I'm probably even more colorful.
What would I need to spin on you for?
And he just spit on me in that moment.
And it was more of a surprise than anything.
Okay, I have a thousand percent trust Dak on that.
Dack's history and resume tells you he wouldn't spit on somebody.
Jalen Carter, as great as he is, half the teams in the league took him
off the draft board. He's been immature. He's had some emotional stuff. I 1,000% trust
Dak Prescott. I will look at your life resume. If you get into chaos or an incident,
your resume will tell me if you're being honest. Dak is being honest.
Dak would not spit on Jalen Carter knowing he is the face of a $10 billion franchise
on Thursday night football, a game that's got 30 million people or 40 million people watching.
Dak has self-awareness.
Jalen Carter, apparently none.
By the way, here was another moment where I loved Dak last night.
So, CD-LAM drops.
Who's the quarterback I always talk about?
Body language.
Pouts, grabs it, stands by himself on the sideline.
C.D. Lamb, drop, drop.
Did you see a confrontation?
Was Dak screaming?
Did he have bad body language?
No.
Again, life is not about just action.
It's reaction.
And two moments last night, the Jalen Carter spit and the CD lamb drops.
And again, stoicism, EQ, IQ, self-awareness.
This is really the value of Dak Prescott.
He is the dependable local meteorologist standing in the middle of a storm.
The wind is whipping, sleet and hail sideways with the cowboys.
And here's the grown-up in the room.
So I thought last night watching him, I hope everybody appreciated,
all those drops would drive half the quarterbacks in this league nuts.
Dak is like, well, we may get the ball again.
I can't get into it.
We got time left.
And that ball, that ball's caught.
Dalles wins the game.
So just, listen, Dack does not throw the prettiest ball.
Dax had a second surgery.
I've said before, I think he's a great B-plus.
Iowa was compared him to Kirk Cousins.
He's just got a star in his helmet, so we talk about him more.
And Kirk Cousins will get Hall of Fame votes.
That'll get some.
But last night, his maturity, his EQ were totally on display.
All right, top of the hour, our Blazing Five.
Oh, so Bill's and the Ravens this weekend is going to be the best,
arguably the best game in the board.
Thoughts on that.
And Kansas City and the Chargers.
are overseas.
If I was Kansas City, I'd be a little worried.
That's next.

Hey, it's us, the Jonas Brothers, and guess what?
We have some big news.
What's the news, name?
Huge news.
We created our own podcast called, Hey, Jonas.
We invented a podcast?
Well, we didn't invent it.
We just contributed to it.
We're the first people to do podcasts.
Pretty, yeah, pretty well.
wide range of podcasts throughout there.
But this one's extra special.
So how do we actually come up with a name
Hey Jonas, guys?
I honestly don't remember.
I think it was on a call about what we should call it.
Well, we were thinking I'm originally calling it
one of the early names of our band
before Jonas Brothers.
This is how you guys remember it going down?
Yes.
I have a very different memory of this.
We were talking about a thing, a bit for the podcast
for people could call in and say, hey Jonas.
and then I wrote down on my little notepad, Hey Jonas, and offered it up as a potential title for the podcast.
But thanks for remembering that, guys.
Listen to Hey Jonas on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast.
Just listen. We don't care where you hear it.
What's up, fam? It's Isaiah Thomas.
And I'm C.J. Toledano, and our podcast Point Game is about defying the odds.
Like LeBron heading into the playoffs without Luca and Austin Reed.
And finding ways to win no matter what.
He's the smartest player to ever play the game.
His IQ is at a level that we've never seen before.
And he knows without Luca and Austin Reeves,
I got to manipulate the game.
We get a player's perspective on the challenges of the playoffs.
I think Joker's going to be exhausted this series
because when they don't have Rudy in the lineup,
he has to really guard guys like Nas Reid.
He has to guard Julius Randall.
And then he has to give us everything he gives us
on the night-to-night basis on offense.
And when IT's friends stop by, like Quentin Richardson,
we dive into some playoff history too.
Steve Nash would get that thing.
That man, hell get the flying.
He running the court, licking his fingers why he got the ball.
Like, you go through a training camp with that, Isaiah.
You figure it out real quick.
Get your ass up and down the court, and you're going to get the ball.
So listen to Point Game on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
This week on Crimless, we're joined by our first ever guest.
Sorry, our first ever human guest.
I don't think I could be in the same room with Shamrock the parrot.
I'd be too nervous.
That's right.
The very funny Will Ferrell joins Rory Scoble and me, Josh Dean,
for an episode dedicated to the many crimes committed by people also named Will Ferrell.
They called to his fellow officer for the nippers.
What are the nippers?
Very good question.
No, I was thinking, would that be a good name for like a salad dressing?
Simple assault.
And it's a play on word, salt?
Maybe not.
I say we invest in.
There's only one way to know.
This did not amuse the cops.
By the way, normally the cops are
amused, but this did not abuse the cops.
Will even comes clean about some of his own
crimes. I didn't get caught. You know why?
If you don't want to be
suspect of anything, you whistle as you walk.

Saturday, the SciHawk series takes center stage. It'll
starts at 10 a.m. Eastern with the best pregame show in college football live from the campus of Iowa State.
Then Rocco Beckett leads the cyclones in a showdown against arch rival Iowa on big noon Saturday, only on Fox.
Iowa State and Oklahoma, the big ones this week. I'll be at the USC game. I wrote down some plays last night.
I want to hand it to Lincoln Riley before the big game with Georgia Southern.
Georgia what? Who are they played?
Georgia Bulldogs?
They're somewhere in the southern part of the state.
Oh, Georgia Southern.
Gotcha.
Not Athens.
It's a school.
Right next Athens.
Look a little like Athens.
So tonight, Chargers, Chiefs, that's a stayaway game for me.
The Brazil stuff, I have no idea.
That's just, I don't like that travel.
I think we should play in Europe.
I think Mexico City is awesome.
I think playing in Brazil is taxing on teams.
I'm not a fan.
So I don't know who's going to win.
But I will say, I felt this last year, but I feel it more this year.
this is the year to knock off the chiefs in the AFC.
They're rebuilding left tackle.
Joe Tuny's gone.
Three straight trips to the Super Bowl.
Guys get more banged up.
There's fatigue.
Receiving core, Rishi Rice, not back until week six.
Will he be ready to play in week seven or will it take several weeks to ramp up?
This is the year to beat him.
And teams that lose the Super Bowl, four out of the last six, teams to lose the Super Bowl,
missed the playoffs.
So Kansas said he's vulnerable.
But I said this two years ago, when Juju Smith's shoes,
was their number one receiver and they won the Super Bowl.
So I find that these dynasties are like great entrepreneurs.
They find profits where nobody else can see them and they just figure out ways to win.
I do think the obstacle here, and it's a real one for Kansas City,
is that dynasties usually have the advantage of dominating their division and getting home playoff games.
Big Ben dominated the Bengals before Burrow and dominated the Browns.
You could just pencil in three or four wins.
every year. Tom Brady played 41 playoff games. Only eight. Only eight were on the road. He mostly
dominated at the time the dysfunctional bills, the mediocre dolphins, and the hit and miss jets.
And that's where I, when I look at this, my takeaway is last year, Kansas City was dominant in one-score
games. But now Harbaugh and Herbert in year two, because Harbaugh historically is good in one-score
games, and especially in season
openers. And Sean Payton, Bow, Nick's year
two. Well, Sean Payton historically is
good in one score games.
So I'm not saying Kansas City
that's won nine straight AFC West titles.
I am not saying
that they won't be a playoff
team. But one of the biggest
breaks that Tom Brady ever got
was his second year
starting. The Colts got moved out
of his division, and he got
more dysfunction. That was
a huge, huge break
for Brady. If Peyton Manning would have been in that division for 15 years, he's going on the road
for playoff games, and he's not getting buys, and he's not in Foxborough, and he's probably
playing sometimes a third time he's meeting Peyton, uh, in this time in a dome. So I don't think
they're going to have the home field luxury. They have won, I looked it up this morning, 17 straight
one score games. That's not going to happen with Chip Kelly, Pete Carroll, Sean Payton,
and Harbaugh. Forget the quarterbacks. That's just not going to happen. So playoffs,
Absolutely. Home field, buys, always at Arrowhead, weather advantage. I think that's drying up pretty soon. And I think they're very vulnerable. So the game of the weekend, many would say, and don't forget Blazing Five, top of next hour, is the Ravens at the Bills. So I thought long and hard about that. It's just very hard to bet against Lamar Jackson in the regular season. And it's very hard to bet against Josh Allen ever.
So here's Josh Allen on facing Lamar Jackson in week one.
You got Lamar Jackson, who's one of the greatest quarterbacks.
Really, we can already say it of all time.
Like, he's an absolute stud.
Like, he's freakishly talented.
He throws the ball just as good as anybody in the league.
And, you know, he's a fun player to watch, and I got a lot of respect for him.
He should.
I looked up Lamar Jackson's career and his all-time ranking.
He's still a young player.
His winning percentage is sixth.
Touchdown to interception ratio second.
Rushing yards first.
Passing rating fourth.
You all want to be hard on him because of his postseason.
Could I remind you that Dan Marino in the postseason with Don Shula, 8 and 10,
Aaron Rogers in one of the best run organizations in the league Green Bay, one game above 500.
John Elway got blown out in how many, two or three Super Bowls,
before he got Terrell Davis and a run game.
So, and I've never been, I'm not a huge fan of holidays,
and I'll tell you why.
I do love Fourth of July because there's a cocktail and you get a blow-up stuff.
But by and large, I'm not a big Christmas guy.
I like giving out gifts, but my takeaway is this,
is that if dad is great for 300 days a year, 350 days a year,
he may not be a great gift giver get over it it's a day yes lamar has had some bad days but let me tell you
something running the franchise you know 360 days a year lamar is unbelievable and think about this
he is the best running quarterback of all time that is indisputable he is the best ever last year he had
41 touchdown passes and only four picks as the best running quarterback of all time.
And again, dedication, obsession, decency, beloved by teammates.
I think I said this last year.
There's an argument, and this is with a great owner and a great coach and great teammates.
There may not be another player in the league that feels more like the soul of their team at quarterback than Lamar Jackson.
So again, you can give great presence as a parent,
but if you do a crappy job the rest of the year,
you're a bad parent.
And you can have bad playoff games.
Elway had them, Marino had them, Aaron's had a lot of them.
Aaron's also a first ballot Hall of Famer.
Marino was also, I mean, Miami still never found the next damn Marino.
And Denver with Elway who was getting blown out in Super Bowls,
they had to go basically trade for Peyton Manning.
four neck surgeries to ever find anything that kind of resemble John Elway.
So my gut is, I think Baltimore wins.
In the regular season, I can't bet against Baltimore.
And I also think outside of Philadelphia, and maybe including Philadelphia,
I think Baltimore has the best roster in the league.
I don't know where you land on this,
but I know it's at Buffalo,
but, you know, I think they, odds makers now think home field is mostly a point.
It used to be three to three and a half.
New Orleans with Breeze and Peyton was like four.
I think home fields may be a point.
The bottom line, this is a great rush team.
You start running the ball, keeping Josh off the field.
You pointed this out earlier this week.
When you pay the quarterback, you have to make exceptions.
Buffalo's a little beat up defensively,
and they've had to get rid of really good corners,
really good linebackers, really good safeties,
like leaders, veterans.
They've had to move off a lot of these guys.
So I don't love Buffalo's roster.
I think now their best talent is actually an offense,
left tackle, quarterback, running back, tied in.
I thought the first four or five years with Josh,
it was Josh and really good defensive personnel.
I don't love Buffalo's defensive personnel.
right now. I think they're thin in spots.
Yeah, if you think back to that matchup last year in the playoffs,
essentially Baltimore beat themselves with the early turnovers, right?
Lamarge is not great. And then they still had a chance at the end,
and Mark Andrews with the catastrophic drop.
That is his worst game as a pro.
By the way, if you want a fun prop red this week,
do you think the ravers are going to force feed Mark Andrews in the red zone?
I thought about that.
I tried to get him a touchdown.
Yeah.
You know they're going to go.
He was so devastated after that drop.
He didn't talk to the media for a while.
And then when he did speak,
you could just feel it.
Like he was down on the dumps.
That was crushing.
Well, Mark's going to get Hall of Fame votes.
Oh, certainly.
He's a great, great player.
I think he's going to get Red Zone looks this weekend for sure.
You know, it's Baltimore, Buffalo, you know, I thought yesterday, as I was driving home
after the show, I said, I wish they would have put Ravens bills on Thursday night football.
I said, it's going to be 48 to 8.
And literally after the first two series of the Cowboys, I'm like, I don't know what's going
on, but that Jalen Carter absence,
we could talk about that again.
There are certain players in the league.
I'll give you an example.
Aaron Donald.
You had to double team Aaron Donald.
I mean, I've talked to offensive linemen, they laugh about it.
They're like, there were times Aaron Donald's last year.
He was triple team.
And I think Aaron Donald would have been a pro bowler if he came back.
I think Aaron was tired.
Aaron would love this Rams defense because you couldn't double them.
There's just too many good players.
But I think Aaron Donald was just, he was just,
he was exhausted from being triple-teamed.
There is video on the internet of Aaron being triple-teamed than his last year as a pro.
There are a lot of good guys rushing the passer from the side, the edge.
I mean, when I say all-time great interior lineman, you think of four.
Like Reggie White, Aaron Donald, Randall, remember the guy for the Vikings.
There's not a lot of great, there.
Jalen Carter, there's not that body type, that big, that.
quick, that twitchy.
So when you take him out of that
defense, as good as Vic Fangio is.
I think Vic Fangio
in the first half was trying to figure out,
what do you do?
Jaylon's so unique.
Mike is great.
Miles Garrett's great.
But there are 10 excellent edge rushers in the league.
There's one Jalen Carter.
Chris Jones is the only other one,
and Chris, you can move around.
Quinn Williams, I've got to pump him up.
He's very good.
He's close to that elite.
The interesting thing about Jalen Carter,
all these guys doing a victory lap.
Yeah, teams took him off their board.
He's dangerous, radioactive.
The guy was just instrumental to winning a Super Bowl.
Okay, you'll take that for his screw-ups.
And then you don't give him a second contract.
Fine.
We got a Super Bowl answer.
Go back to the Rams Eagles game when the Rams are driving.
Stafford hits Pooka-Nakua right sideline in Philly.
And you're like, the Rams are going to win this game.
Next two pass attempts, Jalen Carter blew up.
By the way, when the Rams beat Joe Burrow and the Bengals,
remember the game winning play?
Aaron Donald, Sean McVey got taped and he's like,
Aaron's going to do something.
Aaron blew up the play.
Or Joe Burrow and the Bengals were moving down the field.
The other Jalen Carter thing is,
Dak did not run last night.
He had one jury for three yards.
And I just wonder, like, if Jalen Carter's disrupting up the middle,
up the middle, he would be forced to.
Dak would have been forced to.
It would have just changed the game so much.
I had a hot take for your boy music here during the last commercial break.
the Dallas Cowboys,
based on what I saw last night,
are going to be the Bengals of the NFC.
They're going to be all offense.
They're going to scare the hell out of some people,
and I don't know about that defense.
They're going to hemorrhage a lot of points
and be in a bunch of shootouts.
Do you agree that that's kind of a similar?
Also remember, defenses get hurt, right?
Because defensive players statistically get hurt more often.
So last night, the Cowboys' Defense doesn't have Micah,
but it's all healthy.
Trevon Diggs played, by the way.
He did.
Over the course of the season.
season, that Dallas defense is going to be on the field a lot.
Okay, they're going to, they're not going to be, they're not going to produce a lot of
three and outs.
So that Dallas defense, and also the Dallas offense with Pickens and CD will have some
quick touchdowns.
Those guys both can go over the top.
So that Dallas defense, by about week eight, nine, ten, they're going to be on the field
a lot.
What's that mean?
They're going to get dinged up.
I don't think it's a deep defense.
I mean, Mazi Smith now was an inactive last night.
Yeah.
That means he's done.
so he's done so micah done he's a bust so i think dallas is right canning clark played pretty well in the
middle yeah no no he had one of their bigger defensive plays of the game blazing five coming up next
