one hour from now, JMAQ. So we've got Saturday NFL games. So Saturday, some of the bigger NFL games, I love this time of the year. You get big sports, college football leaves. NFL takes over Saturdays. Tell your wife you can hang with her Friday. Tonight there's a great football game.

It's a Saturday 3 NFL, Sunday morning World Cup finale, then Sunday football. So Friday night's the one time I can squeeze you in, honey, for the holidays. That's a great idea. I think I'll do that. So one of the interesting games is Tua goes to Buffalo. I had suggested about a month ago, yeah, what if he goes out west against these defenses?

What happens when it's cold? He goes up to a Cincinnati or a Buffalo or a Kansas City. The weather's not warm and he gets exposed. Oh, I got major pushback on that. Well, the last couple of weeks, he's faced really, really heavy pass rushes and he's been absolutely awful. Tim Tebow awful, like 3 for 17 awful. And people forget the Tebow thing.

Tebow won seven straight games. And reasonable people, excellent NFL people, lost their collective minds. I was at ESPN. Like coaches. Like players. It's divine intervention. He can't throw a 25-yard out route. What are you talking about?

Bad quarterbacks go on winning streaks. Those Denver teams had a great defense. They had Matt Prater. Tebow was awful until they went to a prevent defense his last drive of the game. Saturday Night Live did a skit on it. They were more accurate than NFL people were. Winning streaks, I guess, make people crazy. Tebow was a fourth string court.

He's a clip holder. Nice kid. But people went nuts. And I always argued, your eyes don't lie. Watch him throw. But our hearts, they tug at us. minds fool us. We root for the underdog and

Tebow was a great story. Southern Christian. Nobody believed in him. To us similarly goes on a winning streak. Five game winning streak. Woo! The numbers. Four of the five teams that he beat were

ranked 31st, 29th, 27, and 26th in defense. The Soso defense, the Steelers was middle of the pack and they scored 16 points. He's small. He said he sometimes can't see over the line. He's been injured in college and pro football. But he does have Tyreek Hill, Jalen Waddle.

They went and got like a all-time left tackle, upgraded everywhere, brought in a young genius head coach. And in warm weather, standing upright, lots of time, quick release, he pulls off a five-game winning streak. But four of those seven defenses are awful. Context matters. You can say, well, social media is at fault and it's crazy. Social media wasn't as profound. important or available when Tim Tebow was there, I think it comes down to something very simple that most people are good people and we root for the little guy and we root for the people

that nobody believe in. I know a lot of Americans, half this country thinks if, you know, you voted for this guy or if you voted for this person, you're a terrible person, but people can vote for the wrong person from time to time. Most Americans have a good heart and we root for the undersized person and we root for the person that had to have obstacles and tebow it spoke well of us we were delusional many people were but it spoke well of us we were rooting for the kid that nobody believed in and tebow you see his hands fence he's little it touches your heart you want that guy to succeed but it did make me think if he goes to buffalo after san francisco and the chargers and just completely unravels, will this guy who currently leads in like Pro Bowl voting,

Tua led in Jersey sales, Tim Tebow led in Jersey sales, Tua leads in pro bowl voting. They're not anywhere near the best player. But we love their story. And it's a good story. The little guy that nobody believes in is rolling and crushing and on a winning streak. But I do wonder if this game against the bills, if it just completely unravels,

are we looking at a guy that's probably capable of winning some games, even a winning streak? But we fell in love with the story instead of just trusting our eyes that don't really lie. Nick Wright earlier this week on Tua.

Listen, there's Patrick Mahomes and then there's that next tier of NFL quarterbacks where there's Joe Burrow. Then there's another tier of quarterback that Dak Prescott is in. There's Aaron Rogers, you know, at this point is he still in it, I'm not certain. Other guys. And then there's another tier of quarterback that the top end is your guy Derek Carr.

Tua is in that tier. And by the way, I give him credit for being in that tier because going into this year, I thought he was going to be closer to the Marcus Mariotta tier. He has proven that is not the case. Which makes Buffalo and Miami to me the most interesting game of the week. What is Tua? What was Tebow? We'll find out this weekend.

Aaron Rogers, meanwhile, is discussed a lot on this show. I may criticize Aaron from time to time, but he does put himself out there. He is a content machine. He's a human TikTok. and for that, I like him. Aaron Rogers was on his YouTube show. He does a weekly hit on Pat McAfee on the YouTube channel. And he once again allowed us into his life and into his head.

It's kind of fascinating. Aaron said, I've had a major fear of death. This is why I took psychedelics. Remember the Y2K thing? World was going to end. I was a young teenager and I was like, I'm 16. I'm not going to be able to accomplish anything I want to accomplish. Roger said he struggled with mortality.

It relieved a lot of stress, the psychedelic, around the idea of needing to accomplish things before I actually die, kind of taking away some of that fear. I think I've seen the other side. It makes the idea more of a passage and less of an ending, more of just kind of the next chapter in life. I'm not sure where Aaron or I am going to go when I die. I am not sure if there is a passage. I'm not sure if Aaron just got really, really high. But everybody is different, and I will say this.

Aaron's looking for a deeper meaning in life, and I can appreciate that. I see people all over this country. I kind of feel bad for him, just banging their head against the wall, day after day, week after week, same old tired ideas. That's not who Aaron is. I've said this many times on this show before. He is more artist than accountant. Now, many of the great quarterbacks in my life have been more accountant, Elway, Russell Wilson, Brady, Manning. Aaron's an artist.

Conservative and liberals in this country view the world differently, and each party thinks the other is crazy. Neither really is. They just see the world differently. There's a reason that many of the great quarterbacks do think like accountants, because they like repetition, routines, consistency, predictability. That is very easy to be a teammate of because you always know. what you're getting from your accountant. He plays by the rules. Repetition. Aaron doesn't. Aaron's a little moodyer, more the artist, a little prickly. There's some narcissism, individuality, creativity. He does what he feels like doing in the moment. Greg CoSell on our show in 45 minutes mentioned this six years ago. He was the first person who put it into a frame

that I think everybody can understand. We are dealing at this position with a very, very unique cat who is more artist than accountant. Here's Greg Kosell. The reality is when you watch Aaron Rogers and it takes nothing away from his performances over the years, but he's not truly a rhythm player, Colin. He's kind of an offbeat player, an off rhythm player. He's more like a jazz beat. He's a second reaction player. And very often, there are throws that are there within the rhythm of the play and the timing of the play. And he doesn't make those throws. Now, he might move around and then make another throw, but there are times against really good defenses where that doesn't work. It's tough to be consistent that way against higher level defenses.

And maybe that explains some of his struggles in the playoff, that he is harder for teammates to understand. Even the way Aaron throws, we've noted this for years, off his back foot, that doesn't fit into the conventional mechanics of how you'd throw the ball. But he throws it so damn well and so accurately and so on point and so fast. It's just Aaron. He is totally different. And I want to understand that uniqueness, and Aaron, to his credit, lets us in.

He is vulnerable. And I like that about him. I really do. He's a content machine. And some of it I find fascinating. Some of these more successful quarterbacks, Andrew Luck and Russell, Wilson, and Brady, I've got to be honest.

Personally, they're kind of boring. I'd like to have a beer with Aaron. I'd like to sit down. He'd probably order a pino or a tequila. I'm more accountant. I'd just order a beer. But in the end, Green Bay has probably never been an ideal fit. He feels like the quarterback of an L.A. team or San Francisco, you know, California. But I do appreciate, Aaron, willing to be vulnerable, willing to put it out there, because so few star athletes do. So for that, tip of the cap to Aaron. I'm down to talk about crack all day, but just so you all know. I mean, at this point, Mark, this is the second episode where we've discussed crack. So I'm starting to see that there's a through line. We also have AIDS on the table right now. Then you're finishing that sentence. Yes. I don't think there's a more important year for black people who, Really? Yeah. For me, it's one of the most important years for black people in American history.

By the way, you think the Tebow-T-Bo T-O-T-O-T-O-T-O-T-W a better athlete, T-A-Bettered Thore, both won national titles. Both had two of the top five college coaches ever. and both were at NFL football factories at the time they were there. Both had great skill players, great protection in college. Both come to the NFL.

They both have huge doubters all around the league. But Miami drafts him and tries to get rid of Tua immediately after getting him, benches him for Ryan Fitzpatrick, then goes on a winning streak. Tua gets drafted in the first round, and there's doubters in the organization. Just like with Tua, there's doubters in the Miami organization. Then he goes on a winning streak, and then he's eventually exposed. My point is, what if Tua gets rolled this weekend? He gets exposed.

There is a Tibo quality to Tua. They're both wildly popular because they're underdogs and have doubters. But when Tibo was drafted by Denver, I had a source in the building, a source paid by the Broncos in the building that said half the building didn't think Tibo could play. When Tua got picked by the dolphins, Brian Flores tried to move him twice. The GM tried to move him twice. They benched him for Ryan Fitzpatrick. So I do feel there's a real alignment.

Tua's a much better thrower. Tebow's a much bigger, better athlete. But if he gets exposed this weekend, will we be saying, will Miami be saying, in this division with Josh Allen, there's Patrick Mahomes, there's Joe Burrow, there's Lamar Jackson, there's Justin Herbert, there's, we can't win with this. That's what Denver eventually did and went and got Peyton Manning. What would Miami do?

Eventually move off to a. who's now kind of semi-popular and they would go big in the market. They probably wouldn't draft. They're too good. They'd go out in the market and go get a Derek car. So there's a lot of similarities here as much as people push back. You may push back on Tua. That's exactly what I got with Tebow.

People thought I was nuts. Seven game winning streak. Five game to a winning streak. SEC, very popular. Limitations, questions in the building. Throwing it out there. By the way, NFL, meetings happening right now with the owners, that's boring.

But something that comes out of the meetings over the next few days is not boring. The NFL will now discuss making roughing the passer reviewable and more objections for illegal hits on quarterbacks, more like college. Let's just say this. Only 13 quarterbacks this year have started every game. Over 50 different quarterbacks have started this year. Tonight, the 49ers will be potentially on their fourth quarterback of the season against the Seahawks. There's a reason the NFL is doing this.

When you go to see a Broadway play and you pay big money and you're excited and you take your partner and you spend big money, it's a night on the town in New York, and they announced that Hugh Jackman or Nathan Lane is sick and you get the understudy, you're disappointed. You ever buy pay-per-view for a UFC fight or a boxing match and that gets canceled and you get the undercard as the main event? You feel ripped off. Tonight, the Niners will be on their fourth quarterback of the year potentially. I would rather complain about a roughing the passer call on Justin Herbert for three minutes than watch his backup for three hours or three weeks. I thought this was a horrible call, absolutely horrible. but I get it.

I absolutely get it. That's why I criticize the NFL for adding a 17th game. It was total greed. That's just 10, 12 more hits on quarterbacks that they don't need. They've even alleviated hitting in high school and college for quarterbacks. You can't touch him in the NFL at practice. Matt Stafford this year has like four different ailments. And he's not old.

He's mid-30s. So as much as we complain for three minutes about that Justin Herbert hit, would you want to watch his backup for two months? I wouldn't. 50 plus quarterbacks have played this year. The Seahawks Niners tonight doesn't feel nearly as interesting. Shouldn't even count. I won't even want to watch it, but have to, if Josh Johnson starts.

J. Mack with the news. No, no, no, no, no. Turn on the news. This is the herd line news. Boy, I've been on the show for, what, three months now, four months? Yeah. I think comparing Tebow to Tua is probably the hottest take you've had. I don't think it's that hot?

I think that's spicy. You think it is? I love it. So Tebow is a first round pick. Yeah, yeah. In the building, immediately half the people think he can't play. Tua is drafted in the building. His head coach thinks he can't play.

I know. I'm aware. He was also an MVP candidate three weeks ago. And Tebow won seven straight games, and in ESPN, his articles were the most downloaded NFL stories of the year. People forget when Tebow was winning. It was the talk, not of sports. It was the talk in America. Who's going to have more career playoff wins?

Tua or Tim Tebow? Oh, I had to say it. I'm sorry. Serious question. Tebow's got one, two, and none. My guess is, if they don't play at home and have to go north, Tebow. This sounds crazy. but Tua is limited physically.

He admits he's too small. Tebow wasn't limited physically. He couldn't make throws. They both have their piccadillos or their issues, their liabilities. All right, first up, yesterday we talked about Micah Parsons and his shots at Jalen Hertz. We were wondering what the heck he was doing. Well, we're not the only ones. Eagles left tackle Jordan Malata chimed in on what Parsons had to say.

Here is the Eagles offensive linemen. Yeah, I'm going to worry about the Chicago Bays this week, mate. Worry about this game. Michael should worry about his game this week too. So even if they're having, I don't know how to the f***ing. But part of my language, I mean, just worry about you got this week. That's how we do it here. Not going to worry about any other comments, anybody said.

That's just how we focus and run about our business. You've got the Chicago Bears, not the Chicago Mark Bars. Either of these teams get caught looking ahead. Dallas at Jacksonville, Philadelphia, at Chicago. Do you, are those dangerous spots for them knowing next week is everything? It's the NFL. I don't think it's dangerous. I think I think Jacksonville is good enough to beat Dallas.

I don't think they will. But I think Jacksonville is now that weird, young team that doesn't really know what they don't know about themselves. I think Dallas is going to win handily. But I don't think Philadelphia is going to go Chicago and lose. But I could see going to Jacksonville and all of a sudden Dallas can't run the ball. effectively. You know what Jacksonville is going to try to do, force Dak to throw 45 times. And Jacksonville stacks the box and says, Dak, throw it 45 times, and he throws an early pick and gets down, and now the Cowboys are trailing. I think Dallas will win. But Jacksonville,

they have these moments. We've both watched them this year, and they'll have these quarters or these halves, and you're like, that's a playoff team. I mean, they have really good halves. The consistency is the issue. That's right, because they're young. So you don't know which team you're going to get this. By the way, I asked a buddy in Vegas. Hey, next week, Dallas Eagles, who's favorite in that game? Dallas favorite at home. Is that surprised you at all? I mean, we're going to talk about it all next week, but...

Interesting. All right, next up, the Bengals and Bucks, huge game Sunday in the afternoon. Matchup of Young Stud Joe Burrow, an old goat, Tom Brady. Burrow has a lot of admiration for Brady, but he's keeping it cool ahead of Sunday. Here's what he had to say about facing goat. I don't really pay attention to it. He's Tom and I'm Joe. He gets the ball out really fast.

He understands what he's looking at. I think he epitomizes toughness at the quarterback position. He's a great leader. I mean, he's the greatest of all time for a reason. He's the total package. Exactly. Burroughs got a lot of Tom qualities at the podium. I talk to him every week.

Cautious never lets anything out. Nice guy always answers the question. but almost boring, right? Well, he understands, you know, people have pushed back on this. It was considered crazy when I suggested that that weekly podium visit for a quarterback is really important. Baker Mayfield butchered it every week. And his GM and coach eventually just said, seriously, he won a playoff game. He exhausted, he called out players and running backs and.

Burrow, Brady, Manning, Eli, Russell Wilson, they have mastered the mid-week podium. It is not a little thing. You are speaking for the franchise. And when I suggested that Baker is not mature enough at that time to go there and just fall on the sword, it's two cowboy, it's two alpha. That is outrageous. I was 100% right.

That's why he got let go. They didn't let go of him because he couldn't complete passes. He exhausted the franchise, the PR department, the GM. You had to apologize for me. cowboy. So Burrow is totally, this is what the legends do. They get up there and they put cold water and a wet blanket on any fire. Yeah, definitely no bulletin board material from Joe Burrow. Let's shift to the NBA, Colin. Bummer of a night for the Golden State Warriors. So Steph Curry is absolutely cooking the Pacers. Had half their points in the first half. He was up to 38 and then he

busted up his shoulder right here going for the strip. Left shoulder injury for Curry looked bad MRI today, fingers crossed, the Curry's not out too long. By the way, Warriors ended up losing. They're 2 and 13 on the road this season. So their defense... They fall into 10th in the West. Okay, so can I defend the Warriors? Feel free.

Okay, when you win the championship and you go through that long slog of the playoffs, how many extra games? And those are not just extra games, as you know, people play defense. Yeah. So it's like they always say about pitchers. When a pitcher, a workhorse pitcher, a Verlander, his prime goes through playoffs. That's like not just seven more starts. That's the most intense

seven starts are Verlanders' year. So they go into spring training. Sometimes those guys have arm fatigue the following year. So the Warriors now, they go, and it's different than years ago when they were younger. Dre's old, Clay off a surgery, Steph old, Wiggins up there. So now this older roster goes through this slog of the playoffs. They come in this year, and what are they bad at? defense they're terrible defense is effort now you say Colin Boston went through that long slog they're good Boston's younger Tatum's still very young Jalen Brown's mostly young now now Marcus smart is older but a lot of the a lot of what we look at with the Celtics a lot of their stars are younger stars ascending so I think veteran teams go through a long playoff

come back and they're atrocious defensively because they're old bodies and worn down. So they're 14 and 15. We're 29 games in out of 82. At what point do we say, okay, we're past the long slog, the hangover from winning the title, because I'll just point this out, the L.A. Rams in the NFL won the Super Bowl. Yeah. It was a little bit of a hangover early. It's like, ah, the Rams are going to be fine. Then the injury started to mount, and they totally crazy. I'm not saying that's going to happen with the Warriors. No, because a different sport, guys got hurt there. But the Warriors are managing it. Like last night, two guys. sat out. So what they're doing on these road games when they go on the road, and they've been doing

this all season, they're resting a lot of their players last night. They had a couple of starters out. Well, when you go on the road in the NBA and you have two of your five starters out and you're using backups, even Indiana. Indiana's like Utah, way better than we thought they would be. Plucky. Plucky team. Those teams usually kind of at the All-Star break. Start to fate. But if Curry's out a month here, Colin, and it's got to be like the Jordan Pool Andrew Wiggins show, I think we could start to legitimately be concerned for the Golden State Wars. That would be bad. Time out.

We need Curry in the playoffs. That's the hottest take since you've been on the show. No, that's a realistic take. Come on. If Curry's out a month? Well, Tua and Tebow don't have comparisons? No, there are tons of comparisons, but I don't know. We're going to circle back to that.

By the way, Buffalo this weekend, huh? Why is the Miami coach wearing the shirt? I wish it was colder. What is that? Are you poking the bear? Are you really acting like you didn't heat the seats at SoFi Stadium when it was 50 degrees? It's like 14 degrees in Buffalo. Is he upsetting the weather? I think he's trying to like make fun of the media because everybody has heard.

Well, I don't mind. We should be made fun of. I'll get made fun of for two at Tebow. That's the fun of this business. I'll just say McDaniel, don't think about the wardrobe. Focus on getting Tua back on track because I'll be real. I think the 49ers got in his head in that game two weeks ago. He did not look like the same.

What if Tua? This was my whole point leading the show. What if it's a disaster? What if he is nine for 28? Great show Monday coming. That's for sure. Well, it will be, oh, this is why people doubted Tibo. Oh, this is why Flores and Greer wanted to trade him. There were two different times they tried to trade him. So if you have, and this was always our question.

Cold weather against a pass rush. He's been terrible. Yeah. I think that's probably the number two game after Jets Lines this weekend. Okay, sure. Jay Mack with the news. Well, that's the news. And thanks for stopping by.

If I saw the place Mike McDaniel was calling, I would be a quarterback. I'd want to play for McDaniel. Let me throw you right there. Miami calls, said, we'll take Aaron Rogers will give you Jalen Waddle. So I get Jalen Waddle, Christian Watson, Romeo Dobbs, Jordan Love, Aaron Jones, David Boktiari. Jalen Waddle and a first, obviously, right? Okay, Jalen Waddle and a first. So now I don't even have to worry about drafting another star

receiver. Aaron Rogers, Tyree Kill, Mike Gaseki, whoever you want, Miami. I'm just telling you, if two, the people in Miami aren't stupid. Those guys are looking at Allen, Mahomes, Burrow, Herbert. They're not idiots. If two is unraveled this weekend, those smart, I mean, Greer knows what he's doing. You don't think they've drafted. They've had some good draft picks. A lot of questions about Greer before McDaniel worked his magic earlier this season, right? I don't know.

I think the dolphins have done okay in the draft. I think he kind of knows what he's doing. I'll do a deep dive during the commercial break. But I'm dead serious on this. If you're Miami and he unravels this weekend against Josh Allen in bad weather. Well, hell. Lamar Jackson has made it clear with the stuff he's set on social media, likes, he's from Florida.

He would love to get down to Miami. Lamar Jackson definitely would. Okay, so I get blown out. Baltimore doesn't want to pay him all the time. I get blown out by this weekend by Josh Allen. You look around the AFC. It's different in the NFC. But in the AFC, Burrell, Mahalms, Alan, Lamar, Herbert. Now Deshawn's there with a decent

roster and eventually he'll get his act again. I remember the Miami owner Ross is a big Michigan guy, big Michigan donor, Tom Brady. Tom Brady. There is a connection there for sure. Aaron Rogers. What would, if you came to him and said, we'll give you a first in Jalen Waddle for Jordan Love. Jalen Waddle, the tight end, Boktiari, Aaron Jones, Christian Watson, God, if Jordan Love can't move the sticks, then he's really bad. That's a lineup.

You are a young spry man, but you probably remember, you were just getting into your career, Tebow-Mania. It was insane. when I suggested it was not divine intervention, I got huge pushback. I am just saying with Tua, I don't think he's very good.

Am I nuts? Is that if he unravels again this weekend, Kevin, there's going to be people in that building in Miami that are thinking about Brady, Rogers, Carr, they're going to be thinking about that. You're calling it a Linsanity run. That's the allegation. I get it, Colin. Over the past two weeks, I just saw a stat that he's seeing more press coverage.

than any other quarterback, basically. And he hasn't done as well over the past two weeks. They're very different games. The way San Francisco played them and the Chargers played them, very, very different. But it was really interesting to see the lack of a counterpunch on Sunday. And I think we have to give Mike McDaniel some time to have counterpunches. Over the past, I think it's four weeks. They've gone way further down the field.

I think the air yard is about 12. It was eight to start the season. So Mike McGill needs to go back to what made Tua great in those, weeks. I think there's a chance to do it. I think Tua is not all that special when you consider, okay, he needs, you know, he's like a normal quarterback, which is he needs great skill guys. He needs to stay upright and needs coaching. That's pretty typical. There's only four or five guys who don't need that. We'll probably talk about them. You know, the comp to Justin Herbert is funny. One of the reasons is that we say, okay, well, what happens if Tua gets a better coach on the

opposite side of the ball? Justin Herbert's going through that right now. Justin Herbert has bad offensive coaching with Joe Lombardi in that infrastructure. I think that even that comp is a little bit broken. I really like to, as a guy who can thrive in the right environment, it's back on Mike McDaniel to get that right environment back. That's interesting. So Brock Purdy with the Niners, I saw him play a game in the preseason, and there was a Taylor Heineckee feel, but he was much better in college than Taylor Heineke.

You know, he's a little small, but he's 6-1-21-215, so size isn't a huge issue. And he's an accurate thrower of the football. You talk to Richard Sherman this week. Was he surprised at Brock Purdy's ascension? He said the ceiling is the exact same. The exact same. Nothing changes. I got a stat for you, okay?

Brock Purdy on Sunday threw more deep touchdown passes than Jimmy Garoppel had all year. By the way, Jimmy Garoppolo and deep passing touchdowns tied with the 49ers with Christian McCaffrey. By the way, Christian McAfree's touchdown was longer. That was 34 yards. Jimmy G. couldn't even do that. So I'm not saying Brock Purdy does anything that's going to make this offense special any more than any other quarterback.

You look at the way Kyle Shanahan has turned four quarterbacks and put them in the top 25 of the past five years in yards per attempt. Guys like C.J. Bethard, guys like Nick Mullen, we know what he does. Brock Prudy's the first ever quarterback to win their first start against Tom Brady. Like that is some special, special stuff. So I think, you know, I was listening to an interview with Adam Peters, a Niners executive this morning. He was saying they liked him because he moved guys with his eyes. He was strong in the pocket. With Kyle Shanahan, it doesn't take much.

It doesn't take much to turn him into a top half of the NFL quarterback. He can do that. One of my colleagues, Justin Gale, they had a list of quarterbacks he'd take before a mediocre average quarterback with Kyle Shanahan as the play caller. And it's only like nine or ten quarterbacks deep. Kyle Shanahan turns anybody into the 12th best quarterback in the league. And if you get somebody beyond that,

that's where you get to special stuff. So I like Brock Pardy. I like his moxie. There's a story out there that Matt Barrow has put out of the athletic where he basically said that he went into a recruiting meeting with Sabin. And he didn't think that Sabin's Eval was very good. So he came back to his high school coach and said, I'm going to go somewhere and beat Sabin's breaks off. Didn't end up doing it.

I recommend going to the SEC if you want to do that, Brock. But it's just very funny to me. He's got that moxie. And I think he thinks he's the best player in the field, which is what you need in these situations, Kyle. All right, Brock Pretty will start tonight, according to Adam Schaefter. came out minutes ago. So, you know, they always say a few beers or truth serum.

I think crisis can be truth serum. Is that when things go sideways as a parent, when things go sideways with your class as a school teacher or with a quarterback, the truth comes out. You're not protected. You're vulnerable. I always thought Mack Jones was a franchise quarterback. But I watched this game the other night. on the road, no number one, Hunter Henry's best target,

defensive coordinator calling plays, 44% of the throws are behind the line. And I looked at him and I thought, I'm wrong. I like Mack Jones. I think he's being put in an impossible situation. And Colt McCoy, who's a very solid backup, I think he's a very good backup. Mac Jones looked way better and that guy had D-Hop.

And that guy had all sorts of weapons. and I really, I am more impressed now with Mac Jones. He's barking. He's mad. He's yelling. And I'm like, oh, that's leadership. I'm in on Mac Jones now. Am I nuts?

I would be skeptical of someone who wasn't losing their minds with Matt Patricia and Joe Jones calling the offensive plays. Okay. I think that's a natural reaction any of us would have it. I don't like the short passing offense. I think Van Gogh was right on the other day when he said it's an offense. It looks like it's designed by defensive defense. coordinator. It's so conservative. He has some weapons, but not enough. I mean, I think that, you know, I heard my friend Mina Kimes said this the other day on her podcast, but, you know,

that offensive staff this year might be one of the biggest missteps, might be the biggest misstap in history of Bill Belichick's coaching career. They haven't been that many. There have not been that many. But this is one of the worst decisions, it's not the worst he's ever had. And when you're talking about young quarterbacks, we just talked about it with two up. They need everything they can get. There's only a handful of guys. You know, listen, geography is destiny with quarterbacks. Andy Reed and Patrick Mahomes finding each other, written in the stars, whatever it is, that was perfect. But if Mahomes goes in place for Adam Gase,

it's a totally different story. You need to support a young quarterback, and they're just not doing it in New England. And it's really, Belichick is the best football mind I've ever seen. I love his problem solving. No one has done it better over the past 30 years. You got a problem, Bill, and you created it. So fix it because Mack Jones seems to understand the situation he's in.

Good stuff. Oh, by the way, one minute left. Tom Brady. So he's got all the leverage. He could go to Vegas. He could go to San Francisco. He could retire. I think Miami's going to call him again.

If I had to say a guess, where do you think? Because I don't think he has, I don't think he has any connection to Tampa. I think he ran Arians upstairs. He didn't want to run Bulls out, protect the brand. One year, where is he? Could we throw out either New York team, which seems like they might be a quarterback away and we'll have the pieces, not from winning the Super Bowl, but just being a good infrastructure.

They're going to be quarterback needing. I don't, by the way, by the way, by the way, you know, imagine if he stayed in New England. He could have gotten coached by Matt Patricia. I'm sure he's kicking himself. He could have gotten the Joe Judge experience there on the offensive side of the ball. I think maybe in New York, I think a Las Vegas would be in play. I do think Miami, although, I mean, it's really fraught with them.

I mean, they lost a first-round pick for that whole thing. So I do think that's a little bit fraught. But look at the places they're going to be a little desperate. He's, by the way, Tom Brady, one of the worst quarterbacks under pressure this year. He's got a top 10 defense in Tampa Bay. It's just not the infrastructure he needs. So I'm intrigued to see it, but I don't know. No, like it was three years ago, I think it's just not going to be that huge of a market for it.

Yeah, no, that wasn't a big market last time. Kevin Clark, two offers. The Ringer. Great seeing you, man. See you, buddy. All right. He also mentioned something, by the way, when I said Tebow, too, and I lined up all the, he goes, they're both left-handed. Which, by the way, history of the NFL, how many great left-handed quarterback?

Steve Young, name another. Boomer Seism was darn good. Mark Brunel and Boomer Ossesian were very, very good. Good. Hey, can we just pour water on this Tom Brady to the New York Jets? We did this with Brett Farf. It worked for like nine games. And then Farf was a disaster behind the scenes, got injured.

No, thank you. The Jets need to develop a real quarterback, either Mike White or bring on a veteran like Derek Carr or Jimmy Garoppel. No interest in Tom Brady. Let me ask you. He's 46. I don't know. You're the Dolphins GM. You like me love this stuff.

I don't know what's going to happen Saturday. my whole thing is theoretical. He is awful. Tua is awful. You're in the division next 10 years, 20 games minimum against Josh Allen. And Mack Jones, by the way, looks like he can play. Okay, let's just take him out. Right.

Are you not going to go after somebody else? Are you going to sit there, the Jason McIntyre I know, and just say, I'm just going to roll with Tua? Well, I don't ever roll with anything. I definitely like to push back against authority. And I would say, Colin, I would say, yeah, they're going to start kicking the tires, whether it's Lamar Jackson. I don't know about Derek Carr.

You know, Jimmy Garoppolo was in San Fran with Mike McDaniel. Remember that. I'm just throwing out. You all think I'm crazy on this Tuatibo thing. Left-handed, Southern, college power, doubters in the building day one. Go on a winning streak. And mentally, how is two are going to handle a three-game losing streak? Where he is.

I know people are going to say, well, McDaniel's got to change things up. Listen, ultimately, this is on the quarterback. You got to make the play. Got to make the read. And Tua is just not doing that right now. It's not like Tua is like, you know, 24 of 48. It's like 3 of 17. That was Tibo.

It wasn't that Tibo was bad when he was bad. He could not hit curl routes. Do you remember was it the season finale last year against Buffalo where he was awful? Or maybe it was two years ago. But it was like a big spot and he had to produce for the playoffs. And he did not. Just saying this is a big game for Tua. Huge.

Just optically in the building. if he comes out and tears it up, none of this matters. But that was my whole point. If he unravels, like the last two weeks, he's going to lose people in the building. Until the Miami fans are like, well, wait a minute. The weather was very inclement. Well, guess what?

The weather in December, January, when you have playoff games, is always bad. They still got to go to the Patriots, Colin. Who's going to be good the next seven years in the AFC? Cincinnati outdoors, Buffalo outdoors, Kansas City outdoors, and maybe Baltimore outdoors. Better learn to play in crappy cold weather. By the way, Jets outdoors. Mike White, baby.
