radio fox sports radio fs one so during the break sometimes our show is much better during the break we were talking about a segment i want to do tomorrow where the quarterback market has gotten crazy over the last four or five years and the reason being a lot of these young general managers are much more prone to roll the dice and make moods you see young NBA GMs young NFL GMs young baseball GMs These young guys, the analytic guys, they'll make moves tomorrow. Their predecessors not so willing to do that. I mean, Jimmy Johnson always tells the story when he made the Herschel Walker trade and got all the players in picks.

The New York Giants had made one trade in their franchise history before that. People just didn't make moves. And Jimmy's like, I've got to rebuild the Cowboys, I'm going to make a huge move. And he created a draft trade chart, which is used by half the teams today. So tomorrow, let's do this as a segment. We'll take the four names that could. move. Brady, Carr, Garapolo.

Daniel Jones? I think... Tannahill? We may put Tannahill in there. I think they can move off him because there'd be no big huge dead cap hit. Playoff quarterback. Okay, okay. Then those are the four and we won't

tell each other our answers. We'll each have where they go. And the reasons for it. Then we have to make one, you can't tell me, one bowl prediction. It has to be a star quarterback. Because we've had now three years, Russell moving to Denver, Stafford moving to L.A., Brady going. So three years in a row, we've had a massive star move.

So they'll be, we'll just project, we think there'll be one. So I know what my stars are. Yeah, you're going Kirk Cousins or Aaron Rogers, one of those two for sure. Kirk Couss is not a star. Oh, he's not a star, top 12 quarterback in the league? Star is like, star. The disdine for Kirk Cousins. He's not a star. He's a starting quarterback.

All right. So, you know, years ago, years and years and years decades ago, I remember being told, if you go on a date and she crosses her arms, that's bad body language. That's a rejection. Change the subject. She's not into you. So for you people out there, if somebody crosses their arms, that's rejection. They don't like what you're saying. It's a defensive pose. So body language, there are body language experts out there. attorneys tell their clients, dress nicely, don't roll your eyes, don't shrug your shoulders for this or that. So body language matters. And I've been saying this for years on this show, and I'm always amazed at the pushback. Jay Cutler was somebody I used to bang on all the time for terrible body language.

We later found out a lot of teammates didn't like him. It was a tell. In poker, they called a tell. For years, Aaron Rogers, 10 years ago, I'm like, his body language is awful. We found out Aaron's difficult and prickly and moody. Kyler Murray's body language stinks. We found out he alienates even Larry Fitzgerald.

Body language is real. So Boomer Ossison on radio in New York, WFAN, said he just can't stand the Patriots body language with Mack Jones. Here's the thing that I really dislike about Mack Jones, if you want to get to the root of it. His body language, his facial expressions, his gyrations on the field, piss me. off. Body language for a quarterback is so important. And I hate when quarterbacks sulk on the sideline. You know, they have to be above all of that. They have to have the backbone. They have to have the leadership bone. They have to be able to look guys in the face, know what they're doing.

You know, don't come off with your hands in the air. And now, it's easy to say, and I have defended Mack Jones saying they're screwing with his career. I understand he's angry. but Trevor Lawrence was dealt a horrible hand with Urban Meyer first year in Jacksonville. His body language wasn't awful. Let's be honest about Tua. The first two years, I mean, his coach wanted him out of the building, didn't want him in the franchise. He was always great at the podium.

He was always great with body language. That's never been an issue. So I do think it's gotten worse and worse. Sometimes Matt comes off as a spoiled brat. I do like, I have always defended quarterbacks on being. emotional. Like I like them. If they have to yell to a coach or yell to teammate,

I'm okay. Brady's done it. I'm okay with that. But the body language for Mack, there's a lot of finger pointing. I don't think it's great. He defended himself on Boston morning radio. For me, it's just trying to channel my competitiveness in a good way and just continue to be Mac.

Obviously, I want to have a respect for everybody that plays in this league and coaches in this league. so I'm definitely things I can get better at. And just like with execution, with football plays, it's the same idea just trying to grow and earn the respect to people, obviously, most importantly, in the building. I mean, we have to be honest about it. He was a child actor.

He goes to Alabama. He's a great high school quarterback. He had a very good rookie year. This is the first time maybe in his life. He's losing a lot. Things aren't going his way. They called him McEnroe Jones at Alabama, so he's got a temper. So, you know, he grew up, you know, pretty good life.

And a lot of wins, a lot of support, a lot of momentum. Now he's not getting it. But I could make that same argument for Trevor Lawrence. His body language is great. But I appreciate Boomer Ossison saying this. It does matter. Quarterback is different. I've said for years, I don't care about the Wonderlich test.

But I kind of do want to know the score if you're a quarterback. Like if it was eight or nine or ten, I'd be like, wow, cognitively, that's a hard position to play. You got to memorize a lot. I don't love that number. So they're everything I think as a quarterback counts. I think your body language counts. What was your upbringing? Were you a spoiled brat?

I mean, I always said this. Zach Wilson reminded me of Johnny Mansell. Both grew up with lots of money. I didn't like it. I was not a fan of it. I like my quarterbacks. I like the fact that Aaron Roger. had to go to a junior college and Tom Brady went to the sixth round and Russell Wilson told he ran too

much and was too short and Dak went to the fourth round and Big Ben had to go to Ohio, Miami of Ohio. Matt Ryan didn't get a lot of great offers, had to go to BC. Philip Rivers, NC State. If you go look at the history, not a lot of big USC quarterbacks crushing and Alabama quarterbacks crushing in the NFL. The guys that have are doubted, are mocked, fall in the draft, have a chip on their shoulder do very well in this draft. Very few quarterbacks were number one in high school, number one in college, number one pick star. Peyton Manning's an outlier. You think it would be like that, right? Well, he's the best high schooler, best college quarterback, number one pick. Very rarely happens. Matt Stafford's had a very good career, but he had to go to Detroit and go

through that tunnel of losing. Most of you, there was a time in the NFL when there were no USC quarterbacks, no Alabama starting quarterbacks, and three from NC State. So is Mack a little spoiled? A lot of these Alabama quarterbacks, they don't get hit. I mean, they don't get sacked. They got number one, you know, they got two first round wide receivers, a first round left tackle, a first round running back, the best college football coach ever. You know, maybe that's part of it is this is the first distress. He's really, really faced and he's not dealing with it.

Well, I don't know, but I do appreciate Boomer Osias and coming out and saying, yes, this stuff matters. Everything matters for quarterbacks. I don't give a, if my corner has had made mistakes or did this or. did that. He's a corner. Shut your guy down. I'm not going to worry. Corners don't generally speak for a franchise. They don't call the plays. They're not a coach on the field. Channing Crowder, former dolphin linebackers, become a great broadcaster and a podcaster. He's all over the place. That's a terrific job. So I want to start with this. Demar Hamlin, the injury, as somebody

who played in this NFL for six years, all with the dolphins, I was sick to my stomach as a broadcaster. I literally after a while, I shut the TV off, I got off social. I just, just, it was rough. As a player, how did it land for you? Oh, it hit me hard. And Colin, I've seen ankle bones pop out during games. I've seen, you know, dozens of guys get knocked out, eyes rolled in the back of their head and all of that. When an individual technically dies, cardiac arrest, your heart stops, you stop breathing, on the field, you're seeing, you're seeing, them due to the fibulator. You're seeing them give a teammate CPR. That's something that blew my mind. I saw a guy paralyzed in high school and my coach had to convince me to finish the game.

And it wasn't that extreme. You know, like the guy was laying there, I just saw his body go limp and mentally I was gone. So after watching that and seeing Tredavius White, seeing Stefan Digg, seeing Josh Allen, seeing, you know, guys I know, seeing their reactions, these tough barbarian guys, it, it messed me up. My son is about to start playing tackle football. We were training before this happened. And now I'm watching it with my son who I'm preparing to play this game. It really got to me at a higher level of any other these terrible injuries I've seen in the past. You know, prayers and thoughts for his family, everything we say.

But I really, I really think the NFL did a good job not playing that game. And as a player, all the players I've talked to, that was something that was unprecedented on a field of play. So, you know, I said this between Tua and Teddy. this is a big man's game. I mean, Channing, you're a big guy, right? Even the quarterbacks, Ben's big, Cam was big, Peyton's big, Tom's big, Herbert's big, Allen's big. It's a big man's game.

Two is not. And now we have injuries. And now we have the Hamlin situation. And I can see the Miami brass in the offseason saying, guys, we got, we got, this is a big, this is the franchise. You're in Miami. You know this franchise. Do you think, if I said to you 12 months from today, Tua is the quarterback, are they still, because some of this stuff is just bad breaks?

It's just unfortunate. Where do you think the dolphins are privately on tour right now? Evaluating the entire quarterback room. I'm with you, Colin. And I've been a Tua fan. There's a Tua non, the two of detractors and all. I'm a Tua guy. I like Tua.

Now, he's a talented dude. But as you see him, getting concussions off not dead. devastating hits. He's not having, you know, Julius Peppers and Von Miller dive in the back of his head. He's getting wrapped up around the legs and he's falling down and getting those concussions. A guy, there's availability, the best ability is availability. That's the thing with Tua that I'm concerned with right now, super capable guy. You saw the stretch he had when they were winning when he was having 300-yard back-to-back games in the MVP conversation, but then he gets hurt again. And he gets hurt again. So now we're looking at it. And to tell everybody, he's not playing the rest of the season.

I don't care what happens in, you know, New York. And Tua can't go back to your point about the injuries and the, the sensitivity of injuries right now, the NFL. But the entire quarterback room, Colin, Teddy Bridgewater went in for Tua and got hurt himself. Two games he replaced Tua. So he goes in there and gets a concussion second play at a game. And then he breaks his finger.

So the entire quarterback room has to be addressed. And Miami coming in this year was Superman with osteoporosis. They had it all. Yeah. If you look at the roster, they're loaded. They have Ogma. They have Jalen Phillips. They went and got Bradley Chubb.

They went and revamped the running back room. They tie-re kills there. The best receiver in the league, top three for sure, we can argue. Waddle still there. They're loaded. The defensive secondaries loaded. One of the best top ten defenses last season. And now Brandon Jones gets hurt.

Byron Jones gets hurt. Xavier Howard's out now. Terran Armstrongstead. He doesn't even practice throughout the week. They were a loaded roster. They looked great on paper, but so many injuries just killed this team. And the biggest one is Tootong of our love. and not being able to stay healthy, stay on the field.

So the entire roster, but really this quarterback room from one all the way down to three, has to be evaluated in the off-season. You know, I said this is that if you connect the dots, this offense comes from San Francisco. This offense does not need a playmaker. They need a distributor who's durable. And I said, Kirk Cousins, roll your eyes, but Minnesota needs draft capital. Minnesota has hit a wall. Derek Carr.

Derek Carr is available. He's played behind some bad old lines, and you start looking at it and you go, oh, I don't know. But I look at this offense and I look at San Francisco's. They don't need Josh Allen. That's not what they do. They made Matt Ryan an MVP with this offense.

Matt Schaub was a pro bowler. If they move off to a and your options were Carr, maybe you call to Kirk Cousin. Garoppolo, Brady, do you believe there's a favorite in the club? Maybe Daniel Jones with the New York Giants is somebody to think about. Is there in your head, Channing? That's the guy they'd call first. I was listening from the last, earlier this segment.

You're talking about Kirk Cousins like this guy is something special, Colin. I'm not a Kirk Cousins fan. But you talk about guys that's been in the system and been successful? Jimmy Garoppolo was in the system and successful. He's a good quarterback. not going to do too much. The Daniel Jones taken off running, you know, the athleticism, I don't think they really need that. Now when you, you know, you throw an athletic guy in there and teach him when to use it, it would be good. But my two, my top two guys would be Jimmy G.

And Derek Carr, like Derek Carr is not washed. The, the, the Raiders right now are doing them wrong. Josh McDaniels, he doesn't know what's going on if Bill Belichick's not around him. But I would say Derek Carr, Jimmy G, you put them in that system. They tell you where the ball is going. We know what Kyle Shanahan does. We know what Mike McDaniel does when they scheme this stuff up. It looks great when it's working. It looks great when the quarterback is making those quick decisions. And I think Jimmy G. and Derek Carr are capable of playing a system that the dolphins have implemented. And it comes right back from the 49ers where McDaniel was before. But I would say those are my top two if they're available. And I think both of them are this offseason, seeing what the

Raiders did to Derek Carr and Jimmy G sitting out there as a lame duck right now. So the owner of the Dolphin, Stephen Ross, Michigan guy, Harbaugh is now all sorts of stuff is leaking. And I said, not all college football coaches see the world similarly. I think the coach of Tulane winning a bowl game, that is his national championship. The coach of Oklahoma State beating the Sooners, winning the Big 12. That's his national championship. I look at Harbaugh and his love for Michigan. and I think he privately thinks, listen, I can't beat these SEC teams.

They have 25 NFL guys on it, but I have restored Michigan to the king of the Big Ten over the team I hate Ohio State. I do believe, to a large degree, he feels mission accomplished. And I'm okay with that. I think he's going to go to the NFL. Outsider a little bit, but knowing Stephen Ross and his workings and the Michigan connection, he's not going to go to Miami, obviously. Your gut feeling on what Harbaugh does.

I think he goes back to the NFL. Colin, it's unfinished business. This man was 44, 19, and 1, lost two NFC championship games, lost a Super Bowl to the Ravens. Three years, back-to-back double-digit wins is starting his career as a coach. It's unfinished business. Saban will never go back. I played for Saban.

He walked in NFL and said, no, I don't want to coach these opinionated millionaires. I'm going to go back and beat up on these little kids. He didn't want to deal with the grown men. Right. I think Harbaugh, his success he had, being on the doorstep of a championship, going back to college, to your point, going to his alma mater and getting them back on top, he has to come back for that unfinished business. You know the Harbaas, all the way to their dad, they don't give up.

And I think Harbaugh feels as if he quit right on this doorstep of winning that big championship. And I do think he will be a successful NFL coach, as we've seen, the record speaks for itself. You were a six-year starting linebacker, a couple of years, over a hundred-plus tackles. The AFC, right, and this is something the dolphins have to think about. If they were in the NFC, it's different. The AFC now has Burrow and Herbert. Now Deshaun has always been pretty good. Mahomes, Alan, Lamar, Trevor Lawrence. You know, if you're the dolphins, that is the, that's the roadblock to get to an AFC championship. When you look at all these young quarterbacks, is there one, has a former linebacker.

Is there one that's a little underrated to you? I think Herbert, because he plays with the Chargers, doesn't get nearly the love. He played at Oregon. A lot of the country didn't see him. What do you make of all the young quarterbacks? Is there one that you really think is a former linebacker you really like? The underrated guy, I would say,

just like flat out, Patrick Mahomes is a generational town. I'm not telling anybody anything they don't know, Colin. but the guy that I think was Delta bad hand was Trevor Lawrence. He is super talented. You're seeing it now when he has any sort of a competent head coach. I'm a gator. Urban Meyer gave us two national championships. Urban Meyer should have never been an NFL head coach and we saw that.

By his actions when he was a coach, we won't get back into it. Trevor Lawrence was in there, elementary offense. Oh, this is a matchup based thing. No, coach, Urban. He gets back and now you're seeing it. Slowly but surely every single game Trevor's getting better. I believe in the next couple of years, we will be talking about Trevor Lawrence as we talk about a Josh Allen. I think he could take over a Justin Herbert.

Herbert is very talented man, and it seemed as if the Dolphins might have made a mistake with that pick in five and six with Herbert and Tua. But I would say Trevor Lawrence is that guy that he gets brought up last in a lot of conversations. I believe in the next year or two, he will be starting to get up there with the Mahomes conversations, with those Josh Allen conversations because he is amazing talent. and you talk about, I heard you talking earlier about the Matt Jones body language. It's called affluenza. You've been given too much. You have too much money.

You're a little different. I was around a bunch of rich dudes growing up and I play with rich guys. And they just have this little demeanor to them and you know it gets to you. You brought up Jake Cutler. I want to bring him Josh Allen in this conversation. Kyler Murray was a trust fund baby. There are guys that have money and don't act like it. Zach Thomas, people don't know if Zach wants me to tell this to the world.

Zach Thomas's dad's a billionaire. And Zach Thomas is one of the hardest workers I ever touched the field with. It didn't get to him. That affluencea gets to somebody. It did not get to Trevor Lawrence. And I'm going to see Trevor Lawrence being spoke about like some of those top, top NFL quarterbacks in the next year or two. Channing, you just crush it everywhere.

Companies make a decision on you a year before you find out. And I think you're having conversations in the building right now. now and you're looking in Miami and you're like Burrow and Alan and Lamar and you start

naming Herbert and this and that and I mean Deshawn Watson now in the AFC we used to think of him as elite I'm not even sure if he's top six seriously I watched them the last couple weeks he's not in the same class he sat out a year I know but he didn't play football for a year I know I know I forget the stuff that's despicable but when I watch him play I'm like he's not close to Mahomes and Alan. Who's more likely to bounce back next year? Deshawn Watson or Russell Wilson? Back to normal level being a good quarterback.

Depends on the coach. If Russell gets Sean Payton, then he's going to bounce back. Yeah. Sean Watson has Stefansky, a pretty good coach who... No, I think it's good. Kind of underwhelmed a little bit this year, but I digress. Yeah. One more herd?

He should have been drafted earlier Here's what he had to say You know, you look at the last two years of my film in college and everything like that. There's some parts in my game where, yeah, like I had to work and improve on. And so I'm honest and open about that with myself. But there's always been this part of me, like, man, when I'm playing my best football, I know I can play at the next level and, you know, take a team down the field and be the guy on the team to help us win and put points up on the board.

But I'm not mad at where I fell or anything like that. It's part of it. And I just, I'm glad I had the opportunity to go and play for the next. Niners, have a shot. I'm making it. You know, it illustrates that if you have the right support system, it makes life a lot easier. Take out the

Trevor Lawrence's, the Andrew Lux, the John Elways. These are all timers. And maybe Mahomes would have succeeded anywhere. But even Josh Allen was a bit of a mess his rookie year and needed great coaching. By the way, as

reverted back to some turnovers, Daniel Jones, needed saving. It looks like Brian Dable has saved Daniel Jones career. Wasn't Josh Allen like 56% completions at Wyoming? No, I remember. So I was told he was going to get drafted

and I watched him play. I think it was Iowa and Oregon. He was huge thin with a huge arm, ran around, but crazy and accurate. And I can remember saying he's either going to be amazing or a total bust.

And after the first year, about seven, eight games in, you were like, wow, he's completing 55% of his throws. It's a mess. But again, Brian Daibol, now, we think Josh Allen would have worked to some level regardless. But Daibol was huge. Daniel Jones' career has been saved by Brian Davel. That's why he'd be my coach of the year. So when you see that, if you're Jimmy Garapolo or one of these other quarterbacks,

don't you want to go work with Daibol? And that's my concern with the Jets and maybe going back to the Breer thing. Maybe you've got to give a pick and try to get car before he hits you. open market? You don't think the giants are, they're not moving off Daniel, Joe. We'll see. There's no way. They, they, they, what do you mean? Well, I think he, he almost looks like Eli. He's more mobile. He's a big, strong, sturdy kid from the South. I think, I don't know, I think those owners, the Mara family look at him and think, hey, it took four years with Eli Manning. Maybe the owners. Yeah, but Eli Manning was like a, wasn't the number one overall

pick? No, no, no. But don't you think Daibold says, man, I, I, I raise the level on him. This is the max that we can get out of Daniel Jones. Let's see if we can level up and get new guy. Privately? Yeah. Okay. But the Mara family told Daveal we want to make this work. So they're tired of their chaos with coaches and GMs.

I think the Mara family would rather come back with Daniel Jones, do this again, playoffs, one and done. My entire NFL media existence, since I've been in this business, I've always thought of the Giants as a Blue Blood franchise. Giant Steelers, right? Yeah, I mean, just they're like, dependent. They're boring. They're the accounting firm of the NFL.

Even when they're good, they're boring. I never thought they were a chaos or a mess. Then the last eight, nine years, you're like, they're a circus. Total disaster. I think them are a sense that to their older fan base because the Yankee fans and the giant fans in New York always feel older. They've got championships. The Jet fan, the Met fans, a little younger. They don't have the history, a little more outspoken.

Yeah, a little bit. So I tend to think you're a classic Jets fan. I hope that's a compliment. Well, the giant fans I know tend to be older, and so I think the Mara family wants to get back to what they are, traditional, not bouncing around on coaches and quarterbacks every three years, and I tend to think they're going to go with Daniel. Just a quick word on Purdy.

So he was a three-star guy coming out of high school, and he goes to Iowa State, and he was pretty damn good the first two years. Matt Campbell, who's a very highly thought of coach in NFL circles. Like, Purdy was on track to be drafted, but he kind of spiraled the final. two years, which is why he fell to the seventh round. Let me ask you, did he lose a great player? Did he lose? He had Breeze Hall. He had a wide receiver that was drafted by Arizona. I'm spacing on

his name. He never became anything. But it just, for whatever reason, did he lose a good coordinator at Iowa State? I don't know. Did he, you know, sometimes you're a college player, the coordinator at Iowa State, get the head job somewhere, so you lose a coordinator. I mean, the pressure of, hey, I'm an NFL quarterback, got to you and you're overthinking it. I don't know. Let's remember. Look at the scenario he's got. You say the first. 49ers have the best roster in the league. You know, Brock Purdy goes to, I don't know, Houston tomorrow. Is he anything?

Probably not, right? Yeah, right, right, right. All right, next up. Oh, geez. I want to thank the producers for getting the Jets in here all the time. Listen, they're looking to play spoiler this weekend against the dolphins. Dolphins, by the way, will be without Tua for another week. And Teddy Bridgewater, some kind of broken finger,

sounds like he's not going to be the guy, and it's looking like Skyler-Tombo. I'm going to take them still. You're going to take the Dolphins this weekend? I think it's close and low. I think it's like 14-13. Who do you like? I like the Dolphins close. I always like the Jets.

No pressure here. I picked Miami to get in as a wild card with about nine wins, 10 wins. So I'm going to go with it. So you're hoping your bet. You're rooting for your earlier bet. I think this offense does not need a playmaker. Skyler Thompson for a Sunday. Is it Sunday?

Yeah. Can win a game. So here's what Mike McDaniel said about the quarterback situation. I have thought about playing status. It is about him getting healthy each and every day. And so I can't really even factor him into any sort of equation until we're ready to broach that. So it's just really a situation of at this point in the week, Monday and Tuesday in game prep. I'll be preparing for both Skyler and Teddy

and then proceed as the week progresses. Boy, tough stretch for McDaniel. Five weeks ago. Well, last week... Tool was like an MVP. McDaniel's maybe coach of the year. Well, I think they were missing... Did you look at the injury report?

Five or six guys on the starting line up. Like top guys. So last week was they just didn't have enough players. Good players. Jets smacked the dolphins around in their last meeting. I don't remember that. And they faced Skylar Thompson. It was like four.

40 to 17. Okay. Bridgewater got hurt on the first play. Final story. Many thought the Chiefs would take a step back without Tyreek Hill this season, but Patrick Mahomes, he's been MVP worthy.

offensive line, Niners quarterback. Philadelphia now, O-line right tackle. Major injuries. Dallas, kind of a complimentary piece of quarterback could use another receiver. If I said Cincinnati, what's the whole? They could probably use another corner, maybe. I think their top cornerback went down. I'll tell you right now, I like their defense over the Chief's defense. Oh, yes. I mean, and the Bengals, D.C. is calling much better second halves than Spagnolo and K.C.

So I thought it was a great college football season.

But inevitably, over the last 15, 20 years, we're back to how all college football seasons end. A dominant Southern program heavily favored to win the national championship. An SEC team loaded with talent. If you go to the last five national champions, 2017 Bama, fall. followed by Clemson, LSU, Bama, Georgia. Those teams, these are the first round picks those teams have. 5, 6, 5, 3, 4. This year's Georgia team is projected to have four.

TCU has one. So when Jim Harbaugh's name is out there, I think Jim Harbaugh looks at this and sees the obvious stuff because he's losing a lot of those players he's recruiting to those schools. and when you're at a decided NFL athlete disadvantage in college, winning the Big Ten, putting the stake in the claim, Michigan runs the Big Ten, that's it.

You leave head high. Michigan, since Harbaas got there, become the Michigan coach, has averaged one first round pick a year. And they're a power in the north, the north where there's fewer great high school players. Penn State over eight years has averaged half a first round pick. That's why I think Harbaugh is leaving is that Jim looks at it.

I wouldn't, but if he does, I get it. Brian Kelly, he just looks at those numbers. You've got to have about five first round players. And by the way, all those SEC teams, LSU, Georgia Bama, they got another five that are sophomores. So they got 10 guys who will be first rounders in a two-year period. period. Michigan will have two, and eight pro disadvantage. Ohio State is the best northern program in the country. They also have to go to Texas, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, get some of their players. They average about two, two and a half first round picks. So when you hear about

Jim Harbaugh, why would you leave, it's all numbers. Same reason Brian Kelly did. It's just data. If you really want to win a national championship, it is hard not to do it. Even the first Football Factory, Ohio State is. They've got one national championship in what? 17, 18, 19 years, 2014. There you go. All right. So Albert Breer was on earlier talking about Derek Carr.

So he said, somebody's going to have him make a decision very quick on Derek Carr. Where does Derek Carr? So I think he's worth a second round pick. And Albert Breer argues this. Here's Albert earlier. The Raiders have to make a decision on this by February 15th. And so, like, to get a trade partner, you'd be asking for that team to move way ahead

of the market and say, we're going to lock in with Derek Carr as our quarterback on Valentine's Day. And then you look at what else is going to be out there. Well, you know, for the Raiders or the Niners, it could be Tom Brady. But then you look at some of the other names out there, Jimmy Garoppolo, Daniel Jones, Gino Smith, Baker Mayfield, Sam Darnold. The other thing that complicates it, too, is the no trade clause. Like, he doesn't have to go anywhere that he doesn't want to go.

So I just think that there's a very real scenario where we get to Super Bowl Sunday. And, you know, with all of our reporting on the morning of that game, we're all talking about Derek Carr potentially getting cut within the next 72 hours. So let's play, start the car or park the car? Which spots feel like he should take? Okay. I would say, let's start with it. Yeah, I like these car graphics we have.

I think the audience is going to love it. Let's start with should Derek Carr start for the Miami Dolphins next year? I would go for it. Also, he has a no trade clause. He can say no. To me, this is the best place to go. Two superstar speed receivers, warm weather. He doesn't have a huge arm.

And a brilliant offensive coach, this is the place for him. To me, this and the Jets work. Start the car. So we move off to a interesting. All right, your Derek Carr start for New Orleans Saints down in the bayou. Yeah, they've had five quarterbacks last two years. Excellent defense. Don't love the coach.

Brady's probably jettisons the division that's an interesting one should Derek Carr start for the Indianapolis Colts instability the owner now is let's be honest

it feels like the owner is now running it that's car parked I'm not I'm not taking that. Listen, he has a no trade clause. There's too much instability. I'm out. We all should have no trade clauses, right?

It's a genius strategy. Should Derek Carr start for the Houston Texans? Park it. Four coaches, three years, total instability. Viewed as one of the weaker front offices. Now, they're trying to correct some things. They've moved off some people. Jack Easterby was highly criticized.

But I'd park the car. All right, let's go to... This one is interesting. I hadn't thought of it until right now. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Derek Carr. Again, warm weather. The taxes. Don't forget about the taxes. Everybody loves to bring that up. Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, a very capable...

Now, they're going to lose some free agents on defense. But I will say this. This front office has really drafted well. I mean, they've really drafted well. They also had an incredible amount of injuries, so the O-line next year is much better than it's perceived today. So I think that's an interesting one. Is Byron left which a big question mark for you? I don't know. I think Byron, I think for Derek, He has a no trade clause.

For Derek to say, I'll come. I want an offensive coach. Yeah. All right. Let's move to the Carolina Panthers. Should Derek Carr start there? Park it. Too much instability.

You don't know who the coach is. I do like a couple of their weapons. DJ Moore. I just think if I'm going to go to that division, I like Tampa's momentum. I like Tampa's got more stability. I think in the front office, I'm going to go with Tampa. Okay. Should Derek Carr start for the Tennessee Titans and your guy, Brable?

I think it's interesting. I don't know if the Titans want him, and I do, I don't know if they do. I will say that they may just look at him and say, we've got Tanna Hill, Tanna Hill, Tanna Hill, same guy. I think Mike Rable's a top five coach in the league. Excellent defense. O lines, I don't know where the O lines rank. Derek Henry, mostly warm weather.

Traylon Burks, the young receiver. He's talented. They have to go get another receiver. But it is a wonky division. You got Jacksonville surging. Indies am mass right now. Houston's a mess. So that's an interesting one. Okay.

New England, Patriots. Derek Carr. Parkett, don't have receivers. It's a defensive culture. No, thanks. I've only got time for two more. Derek Carr and the Washington Commanders. No. Parkett, 11 different starting quarterbacks since Kirk Cousins left. Complete instability.

Don't have the right coach for a quarterback. Let's end on a high note. Should Derek Carr start for the New York Jets? I like the roster. Yeah. There it is. Just get a left tackle with your first two picks. I think Miami and the Jets are very interesting.

Breeze Hall, Garrett Wilson. He is available. He's a veteran. Now, a lot of people think New York will chew him up. I don't know. I think Derek's tougher than people give him credit. He's a nice guy. He's a really nice.

Doesn't say bad words. You know what? Eli Manning's a nice guy. New York loved him. Derek Jeter's a nice guy. New York loved Derek Jeter. New York's not that tough. Win games, New York loves you.
