Starting point is 00:00:00 This is an I-Heart podcast. Guaranteed Human. Another podcast from some SNL, late-night comedy guy, not quite. Unhumor me with Robert Smygel and friends. Me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman help make you funnier. This week, my guest, SNL's Mikey Day and head writer, Streeter Seidel, help an a cappella band with their between songs banter.
Starting point is 00:00:23 Where does your group perform? We do some retirement homes. Those people are starving for banter. Listen to humor me with Robert Smigel and friends on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Imagine an Olympics where doping is not only legal, but encouraged. It's the enhanced games. Some call it grotesque. Others say it's unleashing human potential. Either way, the podcast's superhuman documented it all, embedded in the games and with the athletes for a full year.
Starting point is 00:00:52 Within probably 10 days, I'd put on 10 pounds. I was having trouble stopping the muscle growth. Listen to Superhuman on the IHard Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. A win is a win. A win is a win. I don't care what I'm saying. Yep, that's me, Cliver Taylor the 4th. You might have seen the skits, my basketball and college football journey, or my career in sports media. Well, now I'm bringing all of that excitement to my brand new podcast, The Clifers Show.
Starting point is 00:01:21 This is a place for raw, unfilled conversations with athletes, creators, and voices that not only deserve to be heard, but celebrated. So let's get to it. Listen to the Clifford show on the IHeard Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. And for more behind the scenes, follow at Clifford and at TikTok's podcast network on TikTok. Thanks for listening to The Heard podcast.
Starting point is 00:01:42 Be sure to catch us live every weekday from 12 to 3 Eastern, 9 to noon Pacific on Fox Sports Radio and FS1. Find your local station for the herd at Fox Sports Radio.com Or stream us live every day on the iHeartRadio app by searching Hurd. You're listening to Fox Sports Radio. Here we go. It's hour two and a Friday. Blazing four picks in a minute.
Starting point is 00:02:08 Live in L.A., it's the herd. Wherever you may be, however you may be listening, IHeartRadio, Fox Sports Radio, Fours, Radio, FS1. This weekend's a soup week. And make a big soup Saturday morning all weekend. Watch football soup. Loaf of bread. Sounds like that we might even go to Home Depot.
Starting point is 00:02:26 I don't know if we have enough time. One of those deals. Make soup on a Saturday morning? Oh, make the soup. Let it, let it waff through the house. You can smell it. Hang out all weekend. Oh, it's my favorite.
Starting point is 00:02:39 Those winter. You know we're live on air right now. Soup wafting through the house. Hey, by the way, last night, college hoops and major upsets. Were you watching any of them? None. I watched the Warrior Celtics. I know the Loyola Marymount coach.
Starting point is 00:02:52 They took down Gonzaga. Gonzaga's 75 game home winning streak snapped. Wow. I didn't have money on the game. 75 games they'd won in a row at home? At home, Gonzaga. and Loyola Marymount beat them by one. Wow.
Starting point is 00:03:03 Really nice win for the Lions. You were watching that over the NBA? I did not watch that, no. I had a buddy's birthday party to go to, so. I went to the comedy store again last night. Who was there? You know, just an assortment of very funny people. You know, they're comedians.
Starting point is 00:03:16 Have you seen Paul Reiser there? Paul Reiser. Yeah, from, Matt about you, and then he was on Stranger Things. It was like 30 years ago. No, but he's back because of Stranger Things, the TV show. I know what it is. So he's doing stand-out? I know I watched Stranger.
Starting point is 00:03:29 He does some stand-up. He's all right, yeah. All right. Jeremy Piven does stand up now. Now that's the guy I want to see in standup. I saw his name on the marquee, like about, I swear to God, like three months ago. Has he ever done anything better than entourage? Well, entourage was great. Oh, legendary show.
Starting point is 00:03:43 I loved entrepreneurship. Oh, my gosh. All right. It's, listen, I don't love these picks. During this season, I got to pick five games, but I got like 15 to choose from. And now I don't even have five games to choose from. I got four. I like one of these picks.
Starting point is 00:03:59 But I'll give you my idea. I've been on dogs all year. I had 55, 56%. So I'm going to go, it's my blazing four. It's our kind of last big weekend of pick. So here we go. Jaguars at Chiefs. Kansas City's going to win the game.
Starting point is 00:04:13 The question is by how much. I'm going to take eight and a half points with the Jags, and I'll tell you why. Listen, the Jags are a young team. They don't know what they don't know. They've won six straight. They've won eight of their last 10. And their defense has held three of the last four opponents under 20. They got talent.
Starting point is 00:04:29 They just don't know. what they don't know. So they get down big at half with the Chargers? What do they care? They come firing back. The truth is, since week 14, they're average in 29 and a half a game. Their point differential is second in the NFL. And they've got the look. I said yesterday, they got players, they got dudes, that's not it. They're still in a rebuild on the O line. And Kansas City is only 7 to 9 against the spread. Opposing quarterbacks have a 95 passer rating against the Chief. That is the highest passer rating allowed among the remaining eight
Starting point is 00:05:01 playoff teams, you can move the ball. I think Kansas City leads may be big. I think Jacksonville comes back. Late cover. So it's going to be Chiefs win, 28 to 20. It's right on the number, but the Jags cover the spread. Chiefs
Starting point is 00:05:17 28, 20 win. Giants at Eagles. Again, I'm going to take the points, although I think Philadelphia is better. 11 of the last 13 NFL playoff games have been decided by a touchdown or less. You're playing teams a third time. The offense for the Giants is not giving the ball up. Second fewest giveaways in the league. Philadelphia is going to have to, you know, long drives against this very good defense.
Starting point is 00:05:43 The Eagles had a first round buy. Last year, the two teams with a buy lost, and they were not playing great into the buy. They had struggle and turnover differential, points a game down. They're dinged up. Jalen Hurts last. Last year got tight. Remember his playoff game? He completed 53% of his throws. I think Philadelphia is going to look a little rusty. I think the Giants' defense is going to make them earn their points.
Starting point is 00:06:09 I think Philadelphia is better, but I'm going to take the 7.5. Giants cover, but the Eagles win 27 to 20. Bengals and Bills. I think the Bills are going to win, and they're going to cover. I'll take Buffalo minus 5.5. and it really comes down to a cluster injury at the worst time. The Bengals are missing both tackles and Alex Kappa. I don't think you can overcome that.
Starting point is 00:06:33 I also think Buffalo coaches love this. Won and played poorly. So that staff was all over this team riding. Sean Pate, Noah says, when you win and play poorly, it's the best week of coaching. Let's be honest. They've won 12 of their last 13 at home. They're good here.
Starting point is 00:06:49 Even when they don't play well, they win. They've had multiple takeaways have the bills in three straight games. And Josh Allen's been. unbelievable in the playoffs. It's like a better version of himself. The Bengals no longer because of three offensive line starters out, they no longer are going to have a vertical passing threat. They threw for under 220 yards in back-to-back games against the Ravens.
Starting point is 00:07:10 They can't throw the ball deep because Burrell doesn't have the time. I think the Bills win. 3123. If their O line was intact, I'd feel the exact opposite. I saw Mahomes without his tackles get crushed in a Super Bowl. I think Cincinnati's in trouble here. Cowboys at 49ers. I'm taking the points.
Starting point is 00:07:29 I know. I'm going to take Dallas plus three and a half. Here's my takeaway. They led the NFL in red zone scoring. So when they get close, you get seven, not three. They had more pro bowlers than San Francisco, seven to six, so it's not a lack of talent. Take out the stinker against the commander. Since week seven, including the playoffs, they're averaging 32 a game.
Starting point is 00:07:51 390 yards. Third down percentages first. This is a very good situation. team. They're good on third down. They're good in the red zone. They're going to get some sevens instead of threes. And Brock Purdy was tight in the first half. What do you think he's going to be like against the Cowboys? Easily the best defense he has faced since becoming a starter. They face some bad defenses. Seattle's defense gave him fits in the first half. Dallas? How many Seahawks could even start for Dallas defensively? I think the game is lower scoring.
Starting point is 00:08:22 I think Dallas gets a couple of touchdowns early, not field goals. Seattle couldn't get into that end zone. I'm going to take the Niners to win close, 27 to 24. Isn't it amazing? Think about this. Dak Prescott. This really speaks well to McCarthy. Dak Prescott missed five games.
Starting point is 00:08:43 Dallas right now is leading the NFL in red zone offense and third down percentage since that came back. Folks, those are huge stats. They are going to move the chains. Brock Purdy is going to be a little tight. It was tight last week for a half. So I got three dogs. Jags on a late cover. Giants are clearly the second best team on the field,
Starting point is 00:09:06 but they make the Eagles who are a little rusty work for it. Cowboys keep it close. I think the Bills, bingles, I don't think you can overcome both tackles and your best guard out at Buffalo against that pass rush. I just don't think you can hang. I think that could get ugly. Now, J-Mac is looking at me and sneering.
Starting point is 00:09:26 We don't have a lot of alignment this week. I'll put it like that and we'll discuss it later. Well, you had a better year than me. You had like 59%. What does that matter, though? So I made a couple more $1,000 than you gambling. Well, no, I'm just saying I don't care about the money. I care about the gambling percentage.
Starting point is 00:09:41 So last week I was three and two. What were you last week? I don't exactly remember. It wasn't good for you. It wasn't that great for you. No, it wasn't a great week. No, wild card weekend was not good. You know, they call me playoff cowherd.
Starting point is 00:09:51 That's always been their reputation. Big time players show up for big time moments. Blah, blah, blah. All right, let's bring in Aaron and Jeannie. Three Rings with a Patriot, Fox Sports NFL analyst. It is interesting. I said, you know, we can say what we want in the Aaron Rogers-McCarthy split. Back-to-back 12 wins, a meddling owner, rebuilt the O-line.
Starting point is 00:10:12 They didn't have Dalton Schultz or Michael Gallup at full strength early. Dallas, I think they kind of match up with you. San Francisco, Eric, I do. Your thoughts? Well, your point on Brock Purdy being tight against Seattle, to me, that's the key to this game, is Dallas has to find a way to take advantage of his inexperienced, to take advantage of his anxiety and the natural tension that's going to go with a game like this. And nobody's really been able to force him into those tight, tight spots. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:10:48 And he's made some poor decisions throwing the ball. and teams haven't taken advantage of it very much. And he runs around with the football. He tries to make things happen, and no one's really made him pay for that. And to me, that's the key for Dallas, is they have to find a way to do that. And then Dax's got to be more in line with what we saw last week,
Starting point is 00:11:10 although that can be deceptive. I don't think Tampa was a very good team going into that game. Yeah, it is, you know, Eric, you were in a lot of these with the Patriots when you were at home and you were favored. And I can remember Baltimore making a couple of trips there. I remember the Jets making a trip. Dallas, everybody's got the Niners winning. Did you sense it on the week up when you were favorite, Brady Belichick, at home,
Starting point is 00:11:39 Foxborough, you know, it's on, there's no other game on. Could you feel that pressure as a coach? You don't, look, each one of these games, as its own level of pressure. And each week it increases some. But it's interesting, Colin, once the game starts, it's really the time leading up to the game where you feel it the most
Starting point is 00:12:02 and where you have to do a good job with your team to get them to relax and to not get them to expend too much energy and too much thought and work themselves up too much prior to kickoff. That's the kiss of death because then they're exhausted going into the game. Yeah, you feel it each level,
Starting point is 00:12:20 what that means, but as the game unfolds, it goes back to the normal status quo. Okay. Especially when you've got some experience. Right. So, you know, you'd think biweeks are great. But I've had, when I used to work in minor league baseball, baseball players like to play. They don't like days off, especially two or three. And so sometimes in a baseball playoff, you get two or three games.
Starting point is 00:12:46 And guys think they want to be in the cage every day. and in football we instinctively think oh give these guys rest i watched the titans and the packers last year with rest did not play particularly well and i think to myself you know you had these you guys had a i felt like an annual tradition in new england you had a buy and i think i don't know philadelphia did not play great into their buy eric it does worry me a little does it worry you look we we loved the buy in new england i I love to buy in New England from a coaching standpoint to be able to sit through the weekend and watch some potential teams you're playing to get some work done that whole week leading up to it on
Starting point is 00:13:27 the couple of teams that you have a shot to play. That gave you a real head start. And then if the guys do a good job of getting off their feet, of taking care of their body, of maximizing that time, it's a huge edge. Again, inexperienced versus experience. We did have a lot of experience with it. so we got better at it. And I think sometimes if you're treating that biweek as just a vacation week and you're not
Starting point is 00:13:53 maximizing it, yeah, it can go the other way too and you can be rusty. So we all know that Buffalo's good, right? But that's not, we know that. But Cincinnati got to a Super Bowl, kind of a year ahead of schedule. I think the Jags are a year ahead of the rebuild schedule. After the urban thing, I didn't think they'd be this good. I think the Giants are ahead of schedule. So I think those teams go in,
Starting point is 00:14:18 you know, the old saying house money, you feel really good where the organization's at. Doug Peterson has to, Brian Daibull, Zach Taylor, not a lot of pressure. Go out and play. But Buffalo's different. We got 41 wins in three years. And Cincinnati last year went to Arrowhead and won.
Starting point is 00:14:35 And I do feel like of all the teams in there this year, it's like, okay, guys, it's your turn. Let's go. And then you add that Cincinnati's O line, it's hard to win a play. It's hard to be, it's hard to win an NFL game against an average team. If you're missing both tackles. Like I feel like Buffalo is a little heat on them this weekend.
Starting point is 00:14:57 That's my takeaway. Your thoughts. Yeah, you talked about the pressure component. To me, there's, there's a ton of pressure on Buffalo. And for a lot of good reasons, they didn't really play well that last game in the season against New England. They got two incredible kickoff returns. And then there is no. reason that Miami should ever have been in that game.
Starting point is 00:15:19 Never, ever. And the fact that it turned out the way it did, that's why I agree with you, it's hard to overcome the losses that the Bengals have had on the offensive line. But based off the way Buffalo played, what, they have four fumbles, they ended up losing one,
Starting point is 00:15:35 and the Dolphins got 17 points off turnovers. Josh Allen had the two picks in the phone. They gave, or we're trying to give the game to the, to the dolphins. And Cincinnati is a much better team than Miami is at this point, even with the losses they have on the O line. You know, so I will say this, that that come from behind win by Jacksonville's crazy. And I almost feel like when you do that, you're destined the following week. It's just like you, like I thought TCU emptied the bag against Michigan. Now, I know it's college. But I feel like Kansas City now, it's like the Warriors. There is a confidence in
Starting point is 00:16:23 their ability to make big plays and win games. And I do feel there's a little flip the switch to it. Similarly, Belichick Brady. Now, Bill rides everybody so hard, I didn't see lulls. I always felt like New England gave you almost. But you've been in this position and few have. You are the gold standard of a league. You're a touchdown plus favorite. Here come the young kids. By the way, one of those years, I don't know if it was Jackson, but you had a few of these teams that came into Foxborough. It's like, okay, they're the kids. You're the veterans. Can that be a coaching challenge being in Kansas City spot this weekend? Yeah, definitely, because human nature takes over. And Bill is the best that I've been around. Bill Belichick's the best I've been around at getting
Starting point is 00:17:13 guys to focus on what the real challenges are that your opponent gives you? And you went into every game, regardless of who you were facing and how bad they were thinking, oh, this team could beat us unless we do the following things this way consistently. And it was, it's amazing and it's a gift because there's a human nature that takes over where you know what the other team's record is. You know what they did the last week. Your friends and family are telling you how good you are, Everybody expects you to win. They're talking about the AFC championship game. They're talking about the Super Bowl.
Starting point is 00:17:49 And you've got to put that out of your mind. Now, look, I think Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes is a different formula for Jacksonville, especially if Jacksonville plays anywhere near like they played in the first half against the Chargers. I can't imagine that we're going to see a Kansas City let down like we saw last week. Hey, you know Harbaugh, he chose Michigan. And I defended him this week. I said, listen. If you have a great coach at the college level, Pete Carroll for years at USC sniffed around.
Starting point is 00:18:20 Maybe not the first three years, but the last three or four, that's the reality of having a great coach. NFL coaches don't sniff because once you have a great job, there's nowhere to go up. But when I looked at Harbaugh, I do think two things are true. He absolutely loves Michigan, and he'll absolutely sniff around over the next five years. You know, Jim, what's his personality? Yeah, look, Jim, I remember when Jim was going to take that job, and he loves Michigan. He loves Michigan. It's sincere. And I'm sure it'd give him no greater pleasure in life than to be able to deliver a national championship to Michigan. And they're getting closer and closer to that goal. But he's been in the NFL. He knows that those opportunities, especially if it's a great opportunity, are few and far between. And I don't blame him. for just taking a look and seeing what else is out there. And look, sometimes when you're really good at something and you win a lot like they have at
Starting point is 00:19:23 Michigan, you can be taken for granted. So it's a nice reminder that, hey, other people appreciate what I do. And yeah, it's just reminding everybody the value that he brings to the program. And I don't think that's a bad thing for people to remember, you know, how good they have it right now. Thank you very much. See, I think when Michigan said, we're going to cut you a little bit and pay. I was like, I don't know if I'd do that. Yeah, that's probably not going to happen.
Starting point is 00:19:54 If anything, you're going to give them a raise. That's what's going to happen after this year. Okay. So if I just said, top of your head, bills, bingles, who do you like? I like the bills. Niners, Cowboys. Who do you like? Niners.
Starting point is 00:20:12 Eagles, Giants. Giants. Oh! Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Wow. I'm taking the Giants. Look, Brian Dayball was with me in New England. He was my quarterback coach at the Jets. He's my offensive coordinator in Cleveland. He's really bright. He's creative. He does a great job relating to the players. You've seen that throughout the course of the season. And it feels like the Giants truly believe. not just in him, but believe in each other. And that's powerful. We had that in New England,
Starting point is 00:20:51 that first Super Bowl run where we weren't ready to go home when everybody else was telling us it was time to go home. And they may be undermanned and they may be looked at as, you know, lucky to be there. I don't think that's the way they look at themselves. So I like them. Wow. How about that? Eric Mangini, calling the Giants upset. Man, that's good. Good senior coach. I don't have that soup that you had this week, and I might have to get some of that made up.
Starting point is 00:21:24 Found it great. Victory underdog soup, if you called it right. J. Mack, when he said that, Jay Mack, you, I will say this, the power of belief is that even though I look at the Giants and I'm like, it's fools gold, because Minnesota in the last couple of weeks is not the league. Minnesota's terror. They fired their defensive coordinator. Do you say the power of belief? What do you watch? Ted Lassow last night?
Starting point is 00:21:48 Good show, but you need more than belief to beat the team that dominated the NFL all season. Colin, no shot at Manjini, who I love. But a lot of these guys, everybody picking games now is looking at what they saw last week and going off that. Are the giants, Colin, you watch them all season. Are they that team that beat Minnesota? Or are they a little bit less? And what are the Eagles? Well, I think Philadelphia has a good.
Starting point is 00:22:12 greater big play component to their offense. I think the Giants tend to take the Minnesota games out. This defense has nothing in common with Minnesota. This is a real defense. So drag routes aren't getting you 38 yards. Remember last week, Dallas and Week 18 was awful. Remember against Washington? Everybody, oh, I can't take Dallas.
Starting point is 00:22:32 Tampa's going to upset them, Tampa. You trust the season long numbers. Dallas played maybe their best game. Yeah, by the way, I was just looking at Dak Prescott because I knew you'd say that. you know when the last time Descott played back-to-back good games this season was? Never! He hasn't played back-to-back good games all season long, Colin.
Starting point is 00:22:50 I think there's a little fool's gold in that Dallas win on Monday night football. Tampa. Okay, now you got. Tampa going one, two, three, Cancun in the third quarter. Come on, offensive coach fired. Todd Bulls looking over his shoulder. That team was, yeah. We were all over Dallas.
Starting point is 00:23:06 I just... All right. These are very good points. Salient points. Give me salient. There we go. The herd brought to you by better help. Confidence can empower you to accomplish great things in life. Now you've got an ear in my head.
Starting point is 00:23:19 Can I do a blazing four reboot? Is that it a good way? Well, yeah. I mean, you make me things. One more herd? The herd streams 24 hours a day, seven days a week, within the IHeart radio app. Search herd to listen live or on demand whenever you'd like.
Starting point is 00:23:35 Imagine an Olympics where doping is not only legal, but encouraged. It's the enhanced game. Some call it grotesque. Others say it's unleashing human potential. Either way, the podcast, Superhuman, documented it all, embedded in the games and with the athletes for a full year. Within probably 10 days, I'd put on 10 pounds. Join us as we tackle science and culture topics from a galaxy far, far away, such as the biology of taun tons and wampas on the ice planet hot, or the practicality and corporate business sense of the Sith rule of two. Listen to Stuff to Blow Your Mind on the iHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your point. podcast. All right. I'm going to read a spot. Oh, I want to say Leroy Butler, great Green Bay Packer,
Starting point is 00:25:42 such a nice guy, sent me an autographed Green Bay Packer jersey. I got Caleb Williams from USC, Leroy Butler in the last couple of weeks. I'm going to start a little collection. Why not? Leroy is such a good guy. I like that. It's not a bad idea. Not a bad idea. Maybe a frame photo of us. Yeah. Right next to my kids, my wife. That'll fit perfectly among all the NFL jerseys to you guys who did not play in the league. Jay Mack with the news No No no
Starting point is 00:26:09 Turn on the news This is the herd line news I don't know if you heard Colin But the Cowboys are Underdogs Against the 49ers this weekend Yeah
Starting point is 00:26:19 San Fran 11 game Winstreet But Micah Parsons The Dallas superstar Edge Rusher Says the Cowboys are up for the challenge They don't mind being Doubted in this one
Starting point is 00:26:29 All right we hear Everybody No way the Cowboys is going to win No way I honestly I think you should feel into you should love that stuff like when no one believes in you that's the best feeling like now when everyone
Starting point is 00:26:41 believes you and that kool-aids up and everyone's smiling and they're like they can't lose like they're too good you don't want that feeling because then it's like what if i don't want when you ride at the bottom you can only go up you know so i really like to being an underdog and that feeling it's a great story always to tell here's an interesting stamp for you so you got into my head last segment let me get into yours okay all right so brock purdy last week On open throws, according to next-gen stats, that's a really good company. Yep. On open throws, Seahawks' defense is weak.
Starting point is 00:27:15 It's terrible. It's terrible. In the draft, they're going to draft by seven defensive guys. Brock Purdy was 9 of 10, 158 passer rating. On contested throws, which they will be against Dallas, he was 9 for 20, 71 passer rated. So Brock Purdy in the biggest game of his life Against the Cowboys On contested throws
Starting point is 00:27:41 Completed less than 50% That's what he's gonna face That's his first start Right? Last week in the playoffs Oh you think this week he's got new confidence Much better defense We shall see
Starting point is 00:27:54 So you think Dallas wins outright I think covers I think the game makes Niner fans Very nervous for three and a half hours What do you make of this like Dallas? We're a, what are they, 12 wins? We're an underdog. I can't believe it.
Starting point is 00:28:08 Well, they won 12 games in a division with two other playoff teams. So in Dallas, Dallas didn't have the easiest schedule this year. By the way, three NFC East teams still alive in the playoffs, that's insane. So their division was better than we think. And also, they had to play the NFC North. They had to play Green Bay. They had to play Minnesota, had to play Detroit. So let's be honest about this.
Starting point is 00:28:32 out of division, they had some tough matchups. It's a very good football team. San Francisco's last good win was against. San Francisco got crushed in the second half against Kansas City. Haven't lost since. Huh? Haven't lost since then. Well, that's the last good team they play.
Starting point is 00:28:48 What about the Miami Dolphins? Because remember, San Francisco's division, unlike Dallas, their division fell apart. Very down. So Seattle Limited, overachieved. Arizona, Mess, Rams, M. mess. So Dallas Division
Starting point is 00:29:04 significantly better won 12 games and beat good teams and really to me
Starting point is 00:29:11 12 and 13 I thought the Green Bay game they had I mean even the games they lost most of them
Starting point is 00:29:18 I was like I don't know you know my friends tell me you bring the best out in me and I was saving this ammo
Starting point is 00:29:25 saving it for the final hour the power hour Colin do you remember the last time Kyle Shannon had a quarterback He was not sure if he could win the game.
Starting point is 00:29:34 In a big postseason spot, Jimmy Garapolo threw eight passes against the Packers. And they ran the ball down their throat. You remember that one? I think 3720 was a final score. Rahim Moster came out of nowhere for 200 yards rushing. I remember that game? I do. If he has any nerves about Brock Purdy, ground and pound,
Starting point is 00:29:52 Niners, Macafrey, Debo. Gosh, I'm like a Niners fan now. They're fun to watch. They have so many great players. players. They have like seven. Think about them. Kittles is going to be a Hall of Famer.
Starting point is 00:30:05 Absolutely. Trent Williams is a Hall of Famer. Fred Warner is going to be a Hall of Famer. Christian McCaffrey is going to get a lot of votes. He's young, but he's incredible. Top five at his position. Got four there.
Starting point is 00:30:17 That's four Hall of Fame. Debo is like a top five player at his position, right? I mean, he can run the ball and receive. Maybe top seven. Okay, fine. Whatever. Oh, no. Bosa.
Starting point is 00:30:26 Bosa. So we're five Hall of Famers. So we're five Hall of Famers. I mean, they're, yeah, they're Hall of Fame players. And then they got a lot of guys that may not, but are really, like, Debo. Maybe I'm Yuc is really underrated on the outside. But Debo probably doesn't become, because of the way he plays, he won't have the numbers to get into the hall. But on his best days, he's a Hall of Fame-level player.
Starting point is 00:30:46 So San Francisco is, I mean, a lot of these teams are talented. How many bills, as good as Buffalo is? Alan and Stefan Diggs feel like Hall of Famers. Do they have a third? And that's a really good franchise. Tardavius White was having a good run, but he has struggled a lot this year. Just to put a bow on the Niners. Colin, how many teams do you think could rattle off 11 straight wins with their third straight quarterback this season?
Starting point is 00:31:14 None. So that they do have the bet. That's what I'm saying. All these people are like, oh, same friend hasn't played anybody. Fine. Dial up your third straight quarterback. Let's see how many games you can win. In the history of the NFL, how many teams have five?
Starting point is 00:31:24 Now, the Pittsburgh Steelers in the 70s. Bradshaw, Mike Webster, Mean Joe Green, Lynn Swan. It's a different time. No salary cap, you know what I mean? But in this salary cap era, even the New England teams, isn't there five Hall of Famers? They had, you know, a great coach and a great quarterback, but those teams didn't have five. The San Francisco team in the cap era is really uniquely good. You can understand why Dallas is an underdog here.
Starting point is 00:31:51 Exactly. Honestly, if you put the San Fran scale position players next to any other team left in the playoffs, it's not close. Not even the Chiefs. It's not close. Debo, Kittle, McCaffa, Jennings, Ayuk. Elijah Mitchell barely... Those are good second-tier players. Elijah Mitchell a couple years ago, he barely
Starting point is 00:32:07 touches the ball now. That's right. And even the third stringer, Mason, he runs hard. Everybody who wears number 24 runs like Marion Barber, right? It's super tough. Next up. Von Miller isn't playing this weekend for the bills, but he's doing his best to motivate them. Wide receiver Gabe Davis revealed that Miller put a replica of the Lombardi trophy in the locker room and told the team, you said you'd do anything for it.
Starting point is 00:32:28 Davis said the trophy reminded of what the team needs to do to reach their goal of winning the Super Bowl this year. You like Vaughn Miller's move? I do like Von Miller's move. I think Vaughn's a big game player. I think in the end, guys like Vaughn Miller are the difference in some of these games. That Super Bowl came down to Aaron Donald getting around Joe Burrow. I think eventually they'll miss Vaughn Miller in a big spot. He was – listen, where Colin was wrong, he was so good for the Rams.
Starting point is 00:32:56 I thought he was kind of done. He was so big last year for the Rams in big games. Like he just, that's a guy that flipped a switch. Remember the Kansas City Buffalo game in the regular season? Von Miller made a massive play down the stretch that kind of ended the game. I'm looking at his backups. Like Rousseau, we like a lot, the young kid from Miami. He's playing great.
Starting point is 00:33:17 Ed Oliver's good, Shaq Loss. There's a lot of good. I like their linebackers. Milano is awesome. Yeah, there's a lot of good. They have, yeah, Milano's great. But is this Von Miller stunt going to mollas? motivate the offensive line to, you know, maybe block Hendrickson and Hubbard.
Starting point is 00:33:32 They gave up seven sacks last week to mine. I know it. It's a bad old line with a good center. It's a bad all line. Final story. Aaron Rogers said he hasn't made a decision yet about 20, 23. I'm starting to get sick of this guy. I know he's your guy.
Starting point is 00:33:46 But like, come on. There's some speculation he could play for a different team. And Joe Namath is willing to give Rogers his retired number 12 to get him to New York. No, I don't think that fits at all. I know Mr. Johnson's trying to get a quarterback, and if there's a way he could get Rogers. And I'm a big Rogers fan. And I noticed that he wears number 12.
Starting point is 00:34:10 If we get him on our side, is he still going to be wearing number 12? Because the number was retired many years ago. And I'd sure like Rogers, if he's there, yeah, I want him to wear his number, man. You do. For our numbers, and Aaron Rogers, God, almighty, yeah, it'd be great to have him in New York. Unretireate for one player. Well, I don't think it's crazy. How embarrassing that is, dude?
Starting point is 00:34:37 Come on. Are we that desperate for Aaron Rock? Unretire a number. Aaron Rogers, please. What is this? College football recruiting? You are that desperate. No, we're not.
Starting point is 00:34:47 We are not that desperate. Tell your producers to stop laughing. I can hear him. The Jets are not that desperate for Aaron Rogers. There's Lamar Jackson. There's Jimmy Garoppolo. You're not getting Lamar Jackson. After that press conference yesterday, you're not getting Lamar.
Starting point is 00:35:01 They're making a deal for Lamar. Baltimore's not, Hey, yesterday I thought he was, new information. After that press conference, Harbaugh on the GM, it's like, okay, they're in now. They made promises in front of people.
Starting point is 00:35:13 They're in. Like when the Browns paid all the money gave him fully guaranteed for Deshaun Watson, that's a desperate move. Yeah, I agree. That's right. That's desperate. If I'm the Jets,
Starting point is 00:35:22 I am desperate for Lamar Jackson, but I'm not desperate enough to bring on Aaron Rogers. You've been bagging on him all season. And he's terrible. And he's cratering, and he's focusing on Ayahuasca. Not what ice. Why would the jet, why are you pointing this old man off on the Jets?
Starting point is 00:35:37 Come on. Give me Derek Carr or Jimmy G. There's got to be so much. There's got to be so much. We can't go in with Zach Wilson next year's number one. No, you can't. Jay Mack with the news. Well, that's the news.
Starting point is 00:35:52 And thanks for stopping by. The herd line news. I'm paunting this old man. He won MVP's before this season. I did think Aaron didn't play particularly well. I think they're red zone. difficulties are shocking considering their personnel. A top 5-0 line, Mercedes-Lewis, a great blocking back, a powerback, Aaron Jones,
Starting point is 00:36:11 Aaron Rogers, offensive coach, 24th in Red Zone. That's bad. Dallas is first, and Dak didn't play five weeks. Remember, they had to face the Vikings twice, the Bears twice. Those are tough defenses. No, it's a great point. And that counts the terrible Viking defense twice, the terrible Lions defense twice. Well, the Lions shut them down twice.
Starting point is 00:36:31 Lions did good job against them. And the Bears' defense was atrocious. So Dallas in a division with Philadelphia's defense and the Giants' defense and the commander's defense finished number one in the league in the red zone. Green Bayne, a terrible defensive division is 24th. Is that not, am I crazy here? Lafleur or Daibol, who you got?
Starting point is 00:36:53 Daible. Yeah. In two seconds, I take Daible. I would take them in one second. Be sure to catch live editions of the herd. Weekdays and news. No, Eastern, 9 a.m. Pacific on Fox Sports Radio, FS1, and the I-Hard Radio app. Pauly Fusco here with Tony Fusco.
Starting point is 00:37:10 Yo. As you all know, we're the host of the number one rated show in all the sports talk, the Polly and Tony Fusco show. Numero Uno. Yeah, and we know why millions of people tune in every week. Yeah. They want to hear us talk sports, not our idiot guests who think they know more about sports than we don't. You don't know basketball. If you want to hear how sports talk should be done, listen to the Polly and Tony Fusco show on the IHart Radio app,

Starting point is 00:39:50 All right, welcome back. You know, there's these streaming services. I always love acorn. I was watching Loch Ness the other night. I'm going to create a new streaming service. It's going to be called Heard Plus. So we're offering some new selections. And I'd like to if I could show you some of the offerings on Heard Plus. Yes, I'm very interested.
Starting point is 00:40:17 Just new streaming service. We're going to undercut Netflix and Hulu. We're going to have very reasonable rates. Hulu. I don't even have Hulu. I think I do. I think I got everything. All right. So here we go with our first movie on The HARD Plus. Facing an uncertain future and confronting the ghosts of Super Bowl's past, Patrick Mahomes is drawn into a dogfight with a hot shot new pilot in Trevor Lawrence, resulting in a mission that demands the very best from himself and the team. Introducing Top Gun Mahomes. Do you know he has as many playoff wins eight as the entire Jack's franchise all time?
Starting point is 00:40:58 So Top Gun Maverick, Top Gun. I'm definitely watching that. I've seen Top Gun Maverick twice, by the way. Did you like that? Fan-a-tastic. Yeah. All right, this next one's been a popular show for years. Let's roll it. Here we go. This series centers around a fan-led mafia organization who are plagued by a hostile alternate dimension known as the AFC, which they have yet to conquer. The team is put to the test, led by a unique talent with special abilities. after a nearby Buffalo Wings experimental facility
Starting point is 00:41:31 opens a gateway between the playoffs in the normal world, introducing Stranger Wings. Stranger Wings. Josh Allen is responsible for 83% of the bill's offensive touchdown this year. Is that insane? Speaking of insane, Stranger Things?
Starting point is 00:41:52 Incredible. I would watch anything connected to Stranger Things, especially Buffalo, but... Okay. Could be in some trouble. Next up, this show, critics love this new show. This is on my list. This is the next one I'm watching.
Starting point is 00:42:03 Here we go. A group of extremely talented young people with a cocky, but a sure leader, threatened the stability and structure of a powerful three-lettered corporation, which has been overcome with super-powered beings. Season two is rumored to be bigger and more outrageous than the first. Introducing the Bengal Boys. Yes, you've heard of the boys. That's the new hot one, the Bengal Boys,
Starting point is 00:42:28 five and two against teams that made the playoffs this year, two and O against Mahomes and Brady. How about that? Well, Hollywood loves its Marvel movies. Very profitable. So we decided to cash in. Roll the clip. A hero they call Lawrence
Starting point is 00:42:48 embarks on a journey unlike anything he's ever faced. To help out, he enlist the help of friends from Florida, who, to his surprise, are weirder than anyone from me. space, but together they set out on a harrowing cosmic adventure to uncover the mystery of a Super Bowl win. Introducing score Lovin Lawrence. Instead of Thor, Love and Thunder, it's Score Lovin Lawrence. He can become the second quarterback drafted number one overall to reach a conference championship game within the first two years. Joe Burrow is the other.
Starting point is 00:43:23 That was fun last week that win. Oh, my God, heartbreaking for the Chargers. All the best movies, I think, are on wheels. Let's roll it. Fate has other plans as the man returns from injury to find his latest mission, puts him on a collision course with lethal adversaries from his own Eastern Division, all with the same objective to control the world's fastest train to Arizona. Introducing Ballout Train.
Starting point is 00:43:53 That's my favorite. Not Bullet Train, Ballout Train. nonstop thriller because the Eagles led the NFL in rushing touchdowns, led the NFL with 137 big plays. That's why I like him over the Giants. You need cheap touchdowns to win these big games. Giants don't get cheapies. Eagles will get cheapies.
Starting point is 00:44:13 Fly, Eagles fly. Yeah. All right. So this movie had it all. Literally, roll it. When a well-designed play action pass causes an interdimensional rupture that unravels reality, An unlikely hero must channel his newfound powers to fight bizarre and bewildering dangers from the multiverse as the fate of San Francisco hangs in the balance.
Starting point is 00:44:39 Introducing every player, every position, everywhere all at once. Yes, the movie, of course, everything everywhere all at once. Four different players with five plus touchdowns, five different players with 45 carries, Hall of Famers all over the roster. I think the Cowboys keep it close. Okay, well, some movies are both mysterious and shocking. Here we go. A coach and his team of Blue Bloods discover something strange in the skies above MetLife.
Starting point is 00:45:12 While the owner tries to profit from the mysterious, otherworldly phenomenon, motivated by a desire to save the franchise from loss and despair, the team comes together to capture this improbable moment. Introducing Hope. Based on the movie Hope. Best rushing offense of all the remaining playoff teams. Did you know that? Best, not the Niners.
Starting point is 00:45:40 Daniel Jones, most games 11 without a turnover by any starting quarterback this season. Do you know that? And finally, brash and confident. This is an exciting project. Roll it. Everything's bigger in Texas, including this dramatic all-out blitz chronicling the professional and personal lives of one of sports's most revered franchises. This behind-the-scenes look at the outsized Jerry Jones and his Dallas Cowboys will have you huddling up at the water cooler. Introducing grinning time.
Starting point is 00:46:14 Look at Jerry Jones. Look at Jerry Jones. By the way, eight Super Bowl appearances all time. Only the Patriots have more. Good job, everybody. All right, hour three is coming up on a Friday. Live in L.A., it's The Hurd. Another podcast from some SNL, late-night comedy guy,
