I'll be honest with you. It's kind of jumped a shark for me. Like 165, 164 doesn't interest me. It's the best all-star game. No, baseball. Oh, stop it. Baseball, all-star game is good. NBA All-Star game is like an and-one mixtape come to life.

Can we show the reel of Steph Curry? Remember when he was hitting those threes and turning around? I don't know. Half court. That's amazing. I like defense, spacing, blocking out. That's my kind of basketball. X's and O is Colin Cowher.

I love that. Get in the chair position, size a guy up, stay in front of him. None of this flashy stuff for me. Do you have like a whiteboard and you're drawing up plays? This is what's curse you do coming out of the timeout. Well, it's interesting because this is at the time of the year. After the All-Star break, I get in. to it. And, you know, trading deadline, guys moving around, KD to the Sons, I think is fascinating.

So Adam Silver was on TV yesterday, and he's talking about, you know, one of his concerns for the league. And I don't think it's as big a concern as he thinks it is. But here's Adam Silver NBA commish. In the week leading up to the trade deadline, something like 12% of the league changed teams. And that's something that we were intentional about because we shortened contracts. We recognize that that ability for teams to rebuild for now it's not just about players, but for teams to make changes and direction, that that's healthy around the league. So again, it's about finding the right balance around player movement, but trade, trade demands are a bad thing. We don't want them to happen. And we got to focus on that

and make sure that everyone is honoring their agreements. Yeah, but there's also a lot of bad owners. And these guys get trapped and have, you know, seven, eight year prime career. and they want out. I don't think KD to the Sons is bad for the league at all. I think it's great for the league. The Sons are a real brand. Sons are excellent. I think that's great. He forced his way out. Good. Nobody wants to watch.

Brooklyn had the lowest TV ratings in the league and that's with maybe the best broadcast team in the NBA. By the way, Kyrie to the Mavs. Interesting. Mark Cuban, Dallas, good brand basketball. It's good for the league. Anthony Davis to the Lakers. I wouldn't be shocked. I honestly believe I don't know what the future is.

of the Pelicans. I think they're well-run, but it's not a big brand. Lakers are. AD to the Lakers in the bubble was great. They're interesting. I think Kauai Leonard and Paul George are the Clippers. Clippers were never interesting my entire life. They're dysfunctional. I mean,

again, somebody last night in the NBA I trust said Kauai Leonard, the team, they're at wits end. I mean, he just doesn't communicate. You can't build a franchise around him, but it made him interesting. So I don't have a problem with mobility in my life, your life, or a player's life.

I think the issue, I think they're misidentifying the issue. By the way, Shaq to the Lakers was great for TV ratings. It was great. Rodman moving to however you move, trade, demanding trade, however you move, it's all mobility. I can say, by the way, Kevin Durant for three years, LeBron to Miami, I don't care if it's a trade, I don't care if it's forced, I don't care. It doesn't matter. Mobility pays off.

seen it multiple times. I think the bigger problem is Boston Celtics benching five starters against the Milwaukee Bucks. I'm a small town kid. I went to one Sonics game a year. I wanted to see downtown Freddie Brown and Dennis Johnson and Jack Sigma. All five of those guys weren't there for my game. That's bad for the league.

They're misidentifying the problem. That stinks. You never know when any of these guys are going to play. I mean, Lakers is a circus. And I understand LeBron's old, but it's really bad. I mean, you've got NFL guys. Jalen Hertz is playing hurt for six weeks. Literally, Patrick Mahomes is screaming at Andy Reed with a high ankle sprain.

Lane Johnson had surgery an hour after the Super Bowl. NFL guys are fighting to get on the field. These guys are like, I have an ice cream headache. I had some sorbet last night. I don't feel like playing. It's just not good for the league. Baseball, by the way, is doing the same thing. Baseball is trying to put a clock on the sport.

It's not about time. I've never gone to a baseball game in my life. life and thought, oh, I got to get it out of here in two hours and 45 minutes. College football games are now four hours all the time. Ratings up. Super Bowl, four and a half hours. Massive audience. Baseball's problem isn't time of game. They've gone from 245 to 305. That's not the issue. Nobody goes to a ballgame. You want a couple of beers, hang with a friend, talk business. You're with your kids. Nobody's sitting around looking at their watch. Baseball's issued. There's no activity. There's nobody getting hits. There's no base runners.

That's why you got to get rid of the defensive ship. So sometimes you've got to know what problem is the problem. I've never cared about mobility in the NBA. I like the idea. I'm a bad, like the transfer portal in college football. Everybody complains about it. Brian Kelly rebuilt LSU in an hour. Would you rather it be a three?

LSU is one of my favorite programs in the country. Do I have to wait three years to get your act together? I mean, Nick Sabin, when the transfer portal wasn't around, he lost a Louisiana Monroe the first year. USC, Lincoln Riley, boom. Four wins. 11 could have been 13 with two more plays. So I am just an, I don't care if you, hey, sometimes you have to demand a trade because you've got a crappy owner in a bad situation.

All those guys in Brooklyn are like, get me out of here. KD to the Sons is fascinating. I mean, Kyrie to the Mazz has a ceiling. Neither one plays defense, Luke or Kyrie, but I've watched them already twice. It's a fun watch. It's good for the league. Rick Buch, in my opinion, Rick Buecker now, Fox Sports, covered this league forever. All right.

Okay, let's just start with that premise, is that mobility has been good for every company I've worked for. It was good for the other guys. It's good for Fox. I mean, we went out. We've taken multiple guys from other companies. I don't care how you get here. You can force it. You can sign and trade. I think mobility is not the issue in the NBA. Am I wrong? Colin, this is why turning you off at any point, you do so at your own peril, because that LeBron, Michael Jordan, comparison you made earlier. I don't know about that, but this, this was brilliant. You are so spot on. The movement, look, the NBA sells hope more than anything else.

Right. It's the hope that my team can get a superstar. The hope that my team can change its fortunes dramatically in a heartbeat. And the player movement does that. It also engages fans on social media. The NBA has rocketed in as far as, as, attention and popularity because everybody's out there buzzing about where's KD going to go? Where's Kyrie going to go next year? Is LeBron going to move again? What's going to happen to

Anthony Davis? That has what has grown the appeal of the NBA. So I'm a thousand percent with you that that has been great for the NBA. I think the NFL is starting to pick up on that. We're seeing more of it. And the flip side is. Yes, you need to find a way where these guys are actually playing games. And the NBA and the Players Union is attempting to address that by saying, we're not going to give out awards to guys unless they play a requisite number of games in a particular season. I don't know if that's going to cure the issue. That's my solution.

But it's certainly taking a shot at it. Yeah, that's my solution. I think I've said that months and months ago is you got to play 90% of your games to be an All-Star, 85% to win an award. I will give you in the second half of a season a six or seven game break because you get banged up. You know, I'll give you some.

But I think it's a bit of a solution, especially for young players who aren't winning titles. They like those awards. They have bonuses. Maybe for a veteran guy, he doesn't care. But for a young star, a John Morant, it does matter. Okay. I said this, MJ's 60th birthday.

I think MJ and LeBron have all had various stages. There's the, I'm great, but I don't have the coach, right? There's the, okay, now I went in, I got my rob and I got my coach. There's the, okay, I'm going to make a big change. One goes to baseball. One goes back to Cleveland shocks the world. First year and great, rest of it's pretty good. And then both end up in a mess, kind of like Washington was a mess.

Lakers, I know they want in the bubble, but it's all over the place. And you disagree with that take. Yeah, you saw the movie A Beautiful Mind, John Nash, right? how much time did you spend in your garage with clippings and yarn and a chalkboard with theories and all of Colin at this point in your career you shouldn't be working this hard to put this together this look here's the great distinction Michael Jordan and I'm glad you actually brought this up because it brings up two really important distinctions when we compare their two careers Number one, Michael Jordan was in Chicago and they didn't figure it out and they weren't a championship team.

And Phil Jackson was not a championship coach. And they figured it out together. And he stuck it out to do everything that he did there. LeBron James had to go to Miami to learn from Dwayne Wade and Pat Riley what it was to be a champion and how to win championships. And I've long said this, and I will stick by it. The greatest achievement that LeBron James has ever had is that he went back to Cleveland and took that knowledge that he gained in Miami. And he won a championship in Cleveland.

He changed the way we view that franchise. I dare say the way we view that city. That to me, by far, is his greatest accomplishment. Now, in thinking about this, knowing we were going to talk about it, This is the one element that we never talk about that I believe is overlooked in terms of what Jordan accomplished and what LeBron James did not, which is three peats, winning three times in a row. Colin, you've had kids. You know one plus one isn't two. Right. It's four. And one plus one plus one isn't three.

Three championships in a row is not anywhere comparable to one. winning two in a row. Michael Jordan did that twice. Three p did twice. The difficulty of doing that and doing that staying in the same place, that's the great separation here. So I can see how you were able to take pieces and make that comparison. And I'm glad that you did because it brought me to some other things to point up. But the actual construction of it. I can't go there with you. My All right, that's fine, that's fine. So I had, last night was one of those lucky things where I went to dinner by myself, which is sad and pathetic, but I did bump into a friend and his wife.

And I sat down and we just talked, he was a very, very long-time NBA employee. Not going to give away too much. But one of the things we talked about was LeBron and A.D., and he's very well-sourced. And when you have multiple leaks over the course of three or four days, and, you know, Darvin Ham's not doing this right. And they clearly look like they weren't leaked by the Lakers, right? LeBron's playing too many minutes. Suddenly the next game, LeBron plays his fewest minutes of the year.

Right. Is I don't, I think LeBron's still got a tweak in him. I think he's happy where they're at compared to where they were two weeks ago. The roster's better. It's got some versatility and flexibility and it didn't. But I don't think this AD thing, I think LeBron, after that bubble, wanted to hand the baton 40 minute tonight to AD and he came in out of shape. He can't depend on him. Listen, LeBron bailed on D. Wade because he thought he got a little creaky.

AD is D. Wade times a lot of creakiness. I don't think it's right. And I had a source two weeks ago say Mavericks AD, just keep your eye on it. What do you think LeBron A.D. going forward looks like. Give me your whole thought on that. Yeah, it's a very intriguing situation because you're really, Right. LeBron always gets restless. If it's not working, then he's ready to change it up in a heartbeat. And let's face it, AD just not being available and not taking the reins and not taking some of the responsibility off LeBron's plate, that certainly was his idea and it hasn't happened. Now, the idea of trading AD, because what you're really saying is the possibility of trading AD to Dallas for,

Kyrie Irving because of all the moves, like this is the, they change the team, all right? But they severely handicapped themselves in terms of being able to demonstrably change their team this summer or for next season, short of moving someone like Anthony Davis. That's right. The difficulty here is that Jeannie Bus absolutely loves Anthony Davis. Moving Anthony Davis is moving Anthony Davis is not going to. going to be something that she wants to do. So what happens over the next month or so, I believe, is vital to LeBron James still having the influence and authority to say, look, I can still win. He said it. I can still win championships. Okay. You're going to need to prove it now if you

want to change this team and you ultimately want the Lakers to push the button on a to get Kyrie Irving here. You need to demonstrate that you can take what we have here and carry this team at the very least into the playoffs. And I think that's going to influence the decision making here because what we've seen is that the Lakers are not responding immediately to everything that LeBron asks them to do at this point. They're looking at it and saying, hey, we know you've won, but you haven't won here consistently. So we don't know that. that we want to spend all of our assets to keep you happy. And obviously moving Anthony Davis for Kyrie Irving

would be spending the very last biggest asset that they have. Yeah. Finally, I think KD is very unique. He's a plug-in play guy. You can bring him in. He flourished in Oklahoma City as Westbrook would dribble the air out of the ball and give him the ball with four seconds on the clock. He fit immediately, immediately.

fit with Golden State with two elite shooters, a very smart basketball guy. Even in Oklahoma with odd Ben Simmons, needy Kyrie Irving, out of shape James Hardin. He was still, took this team to the playoffs. I mean, he's very good. I think Phoenix is literally perfect. I think in the NFL, I look for identities. What's this offensive identity? I don't in the NBA.

I look for elements. I look for a veteran coach, check. Smart veteran point guard. who's not scoring centric, check. Another wing score, check. A capable young big that can get up and down the floor. Now, they're going to miss McHale Bridges. But I think this thing, the West is wide open.

I think Phoenix is really good, really fast. Do you? I certainly think that they could be as a regular season team, and I would say that they are a title contender now in a way that they were not before they got KD. But all that said, I just think that they're in the mix. Yeah, people have immediately vaulted them past Denver and the Clippers and Memphis. And you've got 20 games here to figure out, to develop the chemistry and synchronicity that those teams have been working on for years.

And when we get to the playoffs, when we get to postseason game seven, everybody has to have a clear idea of. of what their role is and what the team is collectively going to do. I just don't know that there's enough time for Phoenix to develop that same sort of chemistry. And here's the other element that I think is really has been underplayed. And you saw it against the Clippers last night. Not just Mikhail Bridges, Cam Johnson. Like, defense has actually been the thing that has kept the Phoenix Suns above water this season. that's going to take a severe header as a result of losing those two accomplished wings.

They were already missing not having Jay Crowder in the mix this year because of the disagreement between him and Monty. So that's where I think that this doesn't ultimately work. You've got to go through some really talented wing players in the Western Conference to end up winning it. And I just don't see the defensive players that the Sun. have in order to do that. So this goes back to mobility. I am genuinely happy that Durant got out of that mess and he's in Phoenix. That makes me, I'm looking at that poster.

I got Chris Paul, Aiton, Booker, Monty Williams. I'm like, that's great. I'm going to tell you something. Phoenix will become the best watch in the league here in about a week. That is going to be fascinating to what. J-Max rolling his eyes. Who are you on? You still like the jazz?

I never like that. the jazz, but even Rick Buecker knows you can't beat Luca Donchich and Kyrie Irving watching the dysfunction slash artistry of those two on the same team. Oh, there we go. You're soap opera here. Okay, I'll give you that. No, actually, you know what, what all this sets up?

I mean, look, we already had the Suns Mavs rivalry. Yeah. Now you add Kyrie to one side and KD on the other. Oh, basketball gods, please give us a Mavs Sun series in the postseason. Please, that's all I'm asking for Christmas for next year already. Rick Buecker, good seeing you, Bukes. Thanks for coming on today, buddy.

Same. You bet. No, I think it's, I just don't buy into this mobility is a problem. I love the transfer portal in college football. You can solve your issues overnight. There's nothing worse than sports. I think when you have these long contracts you can't get out of, That's the worst.

You're just in a hole. That's why the NFL is great. You can cut anybody. You can cut Brady. You can get rid of a guy. You can start. Well, I want my team to be flexible. And by the way, there's awful owners in this league.

Every league's got like seven terrible owners. Sun's just got rid of one. The bottom line is they got a new owner. They made a big deal. You ever see, you look at a movie poster and you're like, that's going to be a good movie. Show that video again. I get Chris Paul, Aiton, Booker, and Kevin Durant, and then Monty Williams. That is a good movie.

I'm going to that movie. Listen, the two best movie trailers I've ever seen in my life are Silence of the Lambs. It's the best movie I've ever seen. And Hangover, the first one. That's the second, by the way, best comedy I've ever seen. So you can't have a great, it's hard to have a great movie poster in a movie that's not. You can kind of fool me on trailers, kind of. But the two best trailers I've ever seen got me to a theater.

the next day. It's very exciting to hear you're talking about good movies for one. Silence of the Lambs is a great movie. We're not going to make this. The Mission Impossible cowherd takes. That's like I know your favorite movie series of all time. Oh, I think it's unbelievable, unsurpassed. Hey, by the way, I don't want to get too excited. This is the herd line news. You know, sometimes a staff here even impresses me. I mean, the turnaround time we're doing on the story is like literally seven minutes. This just happened. The Jets. We know they are looking for a quarterback this off season. According to NFL Network's Mike Garifolo, Derek Carr's first visit this weekend is to the Jets.

How does that make you feel? Visiting the Jets. Now, he saw the Saints last week with this whole Raiders trading. I don't like that move at all. Now, so Colin, one of two things. I was just texting some people who may know. One of two things. Like maybe Carr legitimately is interested in the Jets.

He sees some upside, good fit. They have money to spend. They have a real defense. He never had that with the Raiders in eight, nine years. Or his agent says, hey, everybody knows the Jets need a quarterback. Let's go there first and drive your price up. Hey, the Jets are interested. His price just went from 35 to 40.

Well, it could be one of those situations. I think Carolina is the best place, but let's be, let's be Derek Carr for a second. I never had a good defense. Now I have a defensive guy who built that defense in like a year and a half, two years. And we don't, we have, we don't really need much on the defensive side. We need a left tackle, but we don't need a ton. Right? We, the offense is really in good shape.

Yeah. Well, it's promising. It's very young. Also, you have to look at the division. Miami, we don't know the future of Tua. He is a warm weather guy. You want to go up to Foxborough and Buffalo? I don't know.

I could see him. I can see the jet saying this to him. We know you like Carolina. We're not in a rebuild. We just got to hit an 11th. tackle. We're ready to win games. We went this year and didn't they beat they covered the spread against

Buffalo twice, beat Buffalo once. Yeah, no, no, they beat, you could say, we're not a rebuild. Hey, listen, this division's tougher, but we're not a rebuild. We are ready to win games now and we need a great quarterback and you're it. So I know you follow recruiting closely. When a recruit

lines up his four visits or whatever, do you want to be first to the table and make your passionate pitch and get in first or do you want to be last? I wouldn't let him out of the building. I want to be first. I put him in and say, well, I would say I would write a contract right now. We are not in a rebuilding mode.

You're our first choice. We think you're perfect. We need your maturity. We have some young players. Our defense is set. You're not going to be in shootouts. It says something to Derek Carr. They're making him the top priority over.

Hey, Jimmy Garoppolo, we're not bringing him in first. You're our first guy. Well, he does. Carr doesn't get hurt. So I like Carr. First of all, Carr is a great fourth. quarter quarterback. Well, you always say that, but guess what? The Jets' defense is so good. Cars not going to be trailing the whole time and having to come back in every single game

and put the offense on its back. I would like to see some of these quarterbacks come over to the Fox side, the NFC side. The whole league's on the AMC. And that's why I think what Carolina can sell you is an offensive coach, a bad division, and a much weaker conference. That's appealing. It's also the South Derek's religious New York is it's loud, it's harder on your family. It's kind of the opposite of car, but I heard somebody pitching the idea of Carolina, as you said, Bible Bell, religious. Frank Reich apparently is like a very clean slate, like doesn't say a lot of bad words.

Right, right, right. That's something. There's something there. I know audience is probably like, come on, listen, if you're into that stuff and you're deeply religious and I don't want to be around somebody who's dropping F bombs and stuff all the time. That's just not your bag, you know? So very interesting start to the Jets weekend. I've got a little more pep at my step, shall I say. All right, let's go to the next story.

Now, I know you're hot on this one. Eric Bienemy just won a second Super Bowl as the Chief's OC. Not calling plays, but he's integral, obviously, to the operation. According to Ian Rappaport of NFL Network, Bionemi and the commanders are close, or there's some mutual interest. Something's happening with Bienami and Washington. They don't have details ironed out, but if it could, become official at some point at all.

When is the last time in anybody's career? I don't care what you do for a living. You could work in radio sales. You could be in landscaping. And you're like, yeah, I'm going to go from a brilliantly run company to a complete tire fire. You know, because they're giving me an opportunity. What is an opportunity when you have the fourth best quarterback in the division? By far, what's the opportunity?

So there is an argument that Brian Flores literally is like a defensive coached in an offensive league

and is intense. Miami hired him and Arizona offered it to him. So that's where you get the he's not a good interviewer. Okay, that may be true. I mean, Flores is intense. The league's pivoted to offense, and he's had one job and another offered. So there is something there potentially, but I don't like this. I think this is a weird organization.

I know B. Enemy is very, it's a powder keg talking about him. I'm going to ask you about this. Arizona had two finalists. Gannon, who they hired, and the other guy was Lou Amaruno, the defensive coordinator of the Bengals, who has been unbelievable the last two years. He's been around football much longer than Gannon. Should Lou be ticked off that he didn't get the offer and they offered it to Gannon?

Lou has been, I mean, listen, the head coach of the Bengals, we agree. He's okay. He's okay. The defensive coordinator has carried that team with Burrough. Shouldn't he be ticked off? What about Jim Caldwell? The last coach to take the Detroit Lions to the playoff twice.

Yeah, Caldwell's interesting. He can't sniff a job. I know it's weird. And Caldwell, he is older. He is older. He's older. young coach. Caldwell's interesting.

I've never quite figured that out. He took Detroit to the playoffs twice. He's just got a job this week. He's like operational. Yeah, he's not getting any of coach look. And the East, the Celtics weren't the Celtics yet. The Sixers. The East was pretty easy to fly through. Toronto was one of your big, Toronto kept getting like the one seed.

But what about the whole believe in yourself? You can do it. You can make it happen. You can turn that wretched watching your franchise around. I get it. That's it. Have faith that you can go in that locker room and be like, guys, we're going to do some damage. NFC's kind of open.

If he goes to the AFC, you know, no chance. I wish him the best. Geez. All right, final story, Kevin Durant, officially introduced by the Sons. Look at that. I know you're very, very excited. I'm really into this. Durant believes that when he does return the Sons, have what it takes to win it all. I think we got all the pieces to be successful. We got guys that experience what it's like to play in that final round. We got a champion already. It's overseeing us. Moni is a champion as a coach. So we got guys that have been there, and that's half the battle.

just knowing what it takes. And yeah, we got guys that can do pretty much everything on the floor. So we got to put it together. I'm looking forward to doing the work. So you telling me him kind of forcing a trade is bad for the NBA? To go from Brooklyn to the Phoenix Sun. It's great for the league. It'll totally energize the second half of the NBA season.

I got Kyrie with the Mavs, KD to the Suns. The West just got much more watchable. Is anybody under more pressure in this playoffs than Kevin Durant? Colin, hold on a hold on. Only won a title when he went to the Warriors with Curry. Didn't win Jack's squat with Kyrie and Brooklyn. Could not win in OKC, got to the finals. I think his legacy set.

How? He's a top 15 player ever. He should be a top 10 player. Kevin Durant's unbelievable. So you're going to nitpick between he's the 15th best ever and the ninth? His legacy. Yeah. Kevin Durant.

Hold on. There's a lot of people. And not just gibronies and meatballs out. Like legitimate, credible NBA people who say he only want two titles with the Warriors. That's all he could do jumping on that gravy train. He never want anything on his own. That's so stupid. I would agree it's largely stupid, but he's had opportunities.

Brooklyn. I think it's Gibranies who are saying that. He was with Kyrie Irving and James Hardin. He's now with Devin Booker and Chris Paul. Let me ask you this. He better win something. No? his legacy can't go backwards.

It can take a very slight tick upwards if he won a final with the Suggs. We'd be like, hey, Phoenix was kind of falling down that little hole. They peaked fast, head down. So there's no loss in this form. If he goes there, we know they're going to be good. We know they're not going to be terrible. If they go there, they win a couple playoffs series. They lose in the Western Conference final.

Nobody's going to blame him. You're going to say they have no defense. They didn't too much. If he wins, see, here's why I like entering this. I get, what did we learn, what did we all learn about Brooklyn? Coaching matters, teammates matter, and stability matters. So Phoenix has stability. New owner, but you've got the same coach, Chris Paul, Booker, they've been playing together for years.

You've got a coach who's been in 50 playoff, getting you, like 23, 22. I like Monty Williams. So do I, so do I. Real smart. Veteran coach can call guys out. I've got elements. Another elite score. Smart veteran point,

who by the way is not what he was two years ago, so he doesn't need shots. Whose team was this the last three years during their big run? Chris Paul. Okay. Whose team is it now? Kevin Durant, and I think Chris Paul's smart enough to get that.

And Devin Booker has been like their best player. But he's chill. Devin's not a get-me-the-ball. Oh, really? The guy dating Kendall Jenner, or maybe they broke up or whatever. He's chill and laid back? I think he is.

I don't think he's. We're going to see. He's the one running his mouth at Luca Donchitz in the playoff series. Listen, I'm just, there is a scenario where this team kind of has a, Dandre Aiton is, I need my money, I need my touches, I need my shots. He ain't getting them with KD and Booker. There's a scenario in the playoffs. DeAndre Aiton is going to get points based on second chance opportunity.

He's a garbage man. Do you think DeAndre Aiton thinks, oh, KD's taking shots from me, I'm out. He's the happiest guy in the world because KD can defy. I'm going to send you the article about him in video games. Who DeAndre 8? Kids like playing him. No, you got to read this article. I can foresee some problems with the son's talent-wise.

So if they can't move Justin Fields, he's not nearly as good as you think. Because the Bears, Justin Fields, 10-game losing streak last year, I think he played eight of them. So my takeaway on this is I would literally call Atlanta and say, do you want him? Give us the number eight pick in the draft. So we won't have a quarterback, but we'll have the number one and the number eight pick and you get Justin Fields. And then we can take Bryce Young or we can call Indy and say, we know you like that.

Bryce Young because your owner said it. You move up to one. We'll move down to four. And you'll still get a quarterback. I don't think there's a huge gap between Will Levis and C.J. Stroud. I don't think there's a big I think they'll be as good as their support system. I do think Bryce is accurate

and sees the field like next level. Very good pocket awareness. Bryce is better. But he may not work in the Chicago windy cold city. But the idea so Bear fan is trapped. They want to tell you Fields is great. That means you could move him easily and get a lot.

If he's great, then Atlanta would give you the number eight pick and multiple picks. Wouldn't they if he's great? The kid's from Georgia. He said on a podcast, what's the podcast called? 20 mile per hour when I mean you can't fight it's tough when it's that cold you have to bundle up like put a bunch of layers on and stuff like that and your body's cold so you're not warmed up so I feel like way slower in that cold weather it's hard to stay warm in that weather okay mahalmsboro and brady are unbelievable in cold weather they see it as an advantage not an issue he's already talking to myself into it I get it Bryce young by the way California kid plays in the warm south he's not a great fit in Chicago but if fields is as good as you think, then you can move him and get a boatload of picks and keep your number one pick. And then, I mean, you could do that.

And that's my takeaway. If Fields is as good as you think. And everybody in Chicago knows, you guys need a rush end. You need another receiver. I'd get another, an interior offensive lineman. Your defense was a wreck last year. You have one corner I like and one safety. You got to rebuild some linebacking spots.

I mean, you need six starters. Seattle, by the way, last year, six starters in the draft. The Jets got four starters. You can make your team really good, really quick. Kansas City played 10 rookies this year. They had the fourth most snaps for rookies. Rookies can play. You be in college three or four years.

This is not the NBA where you come in at 18 years old. You can come in and play. The Bears drafted a corner and a safety last year. They're both excellent as rookies. What if the falcons said an eight is a little rich? You guys took him at 11. You've already had him for a couple years. We'll give you a second and a fifth.

Is that enough for fields? You're holding firm on eight. Give me two seconds. A second this year and then one the following year. Something to think about. I think, okay. I like that. Done deal.
