But it's official. UCLA and USC are now officially. going to the Big Ten conference. By the way, we all knew it was happening, but it's California. It's very political, blah, blah, blah. You've got to play the game. But in the end, everybody knew it was going to happen, and everybody's kind of rolling their eyes at the very politically driven UC Regents.

So in the end, UCLA is going. I want to say this. So I am much more of a new over-nistalgia guy. I'm not a sports romantic at all. That's why baseball doesn't connect with me. I like now the game this weekend. I'm decluttering my house every three weeks. And so I can't wait for USC Michigan, USC Iowa, USC Wisconsin at Camp Randall.

I can't wait for UCLA in the shoe and Ohio State out here in the Rose Bowl. I like new stuff. But it's okay if you don't. It is okay if you like tradition. And I'll give you a story. This will last about two and a half minutes. I board my staff this morning. but I'd been married to my wife, Anne, for a long time.

And my ex-wife, I get along with still, but we were both creatures of habit. And so when I, and it made my life, I thought, a little predictable. And so we still get along, but I marry Anne. Anne's an artist, my wife, a designer, an artist. She sees things before they happen. I need to see things happen and then have an opinion on them. And so I went, when I moved my family from Connecticut to California, I started seeing a therapist because there was a lot of movement.

I felt some guilt, moving my family, kids out of school. So I went and saw a therapist. And after about 10 to 12 times in the final meeting with this California therapist, he said to me, well, the reason you guys are different, he said, is because you can't see the frog. And I said, I don't know what that means.

Is that a term in psychology? He goes, Colin, you can't see the frog and your wife would have seen it first time here. And I still didn't understand what he was saying. And he said, the reason you can talk to yourself for three hours a day, you can live in a tunnel. Your wife is an artist and a creator. He goes, move your eyes up, one inch. And I did.

And there was a frog hanging from the light. I never saw it. And I realized in that moment, my wife, the artist, and me more the accountant, we had a very turbulent dating life. She broke up with me six times. And then we'd get married and we'd have these arguments. I mean, we love each other, but we'd have arguments. And I realized in that moment, we're just different. It's great.

It's wonderful. But I don't have her brain. I don't have her ability. I can't see things she can see. So when she says things and I don't get it instead of bickering and arguing, just love her and say, how lucky am I to have somebody that can see stuff? I can't. And so when UCLA and USC go to the Big Ten,

a lot of people don't like it. They like tradition. They like Iowa, Nebraska. They like the 70s, 80s, 90s. I love the transfer portal. I love NIL. I wish the playoffs started tomorrow. I love USC and UCLA moving.

That's just how my brain works. I like new over nostalgia. I like risks. I like going for it. I get bored easily. But it's okay. There are a lot of people out there. They collect clocks and baseball cards.

books and photo albums, and it's just a big turn-on for them, and I totally get it. The Big Ten has a wonderful tradition, and they don't like these California schools coming in here. I can't wait for it. And with that, we move to Greg Kosel. All right, Greg Kosel, sorry to bother you and bore you with my story about the frog and my therapist. I apologize for that.

That's all right. I was looking for the frog. I couldn't find one in my office. Okay. I don't want to be seen as a guy picking on Tua, but theoretically I said, Tebow was an athlete who couldn't throw. Tua is not a great athlete who's very accurate but has size issues. And I said if he unravels again this weekend in a division that's got cold weather jets, cold weather New England, cold weather buffalo. There's going to be a lot of late November, December, January games.

And if he unravels, that Miami front office may be saying to themselves, you know, maybe we're should call Tom Brady again or Aaron Rogers. What are you seeing on tape? Does Tua really worry you that he's just maybe not built for these moments like Saturday where it's going to be windy and snowy and messy? Well, you know what? I think we know what two restraints are and limitations are. I don't think that's a mystery. I think last week the Chargers chose to play a certain way, because Brandon Staley, he's pretty aggressive. So he decided to play a lot of man coverage and a lot of cover two. And in cover two, you can also press receivers at the line of scrimmage. Most teams, pretty much all teams, Colin, have not done that because they're afraid of their

speed. He just said, I'm going to be aggressive. So what is to his strength? Two is strength quick drop, quick set, get the ball out. So you can't pressure him in a normal down-and-distance situation. So the only way to sort of slow down the passing game is to pressure the receivers. teams wouldn't do that because of the speed of Waddle on Hill. The Chargers did. And Tua got stuck a little bit. The windows weren't there. The easy throws weren't there.

It was tougher. So now the question is, can they adjust? Does Tua have the skill set where he can adjust based on the scheme that the team will adjust to? That's really the question, if more teams play man. But we know Tua was not a big armed guy. We know Tua can't really drive the football down the field. these were things that were known. McDaniels put together a really good plan,

and now it's time to see what the adjustment is. So Trevor Lawrence is somebody that about a year ago, you said, Colin, he's not Andrew Luck, pumped the brakes. You said he's talented, but it does feel like in the last four to five weeks, some light has gone on. Now he faces the Cowboys this weekend. That's a totally different defense. But what does the film say about the growth of Trevor Lawrence?

I would say a number of things here. Number one, they've gotten him to be quicker on his drop, on his set, and his delivery. Long-limbed quarterbacks tend not to be quick. They've really speeded him up in a good way. Number two, in a game like last week against the Titans, where the Titans cannot rush the quarterback and their secondary has major injuries, so they were playing a safety as their slot corner. It was a really good situation for him, and he was able to drop back and be really decisive. That's one of the things I've noticed over the last number of weeks. Much more decisive, not getting stuck in the pocket, balls coming out. I mean, over the last five games, I believe he's got 10 touchdowns and no picks. And you can see he's a much more confident,

aggressive thrower of the football, making the kinds of throws you have to make in the NFL that prior, I'm not sure he was that comfortable pulling the trigger. So they've speeded him up. I think he's seeing things more clearly. Don't forget, it's essentially the Andy Reid style of offense. That's Doug Peterson's background. And that very often, particularly against defenses that are somewhat predictable, that usually presents to fine reads and throws. And Lawrence is playing at a high level within the context of that offense. Jared Goughoff, I think, is pretty easy to pull for. He got all the blame in Los Angeles. And you look, when he's comfortable at a dome, good weather, I remember watching him out duel Patrick Mahomes on Monday Night Football.

He throws a beautiful football when he has time to set. Muddy pocket, he struggles, not a great athlete. So he, once again, he's putting up numbers. Can he keep it up? Has he grown? Or is it just, again, circumstantially, he's getting good spots to succeed? Well, I think, again, it's understanding the quarterback's strength and his limitations. You know what they've done a lot of, and they're really, really good at it, is play action

and conventional play action with the quarterback under center, which he is used to from his days with McVeigh and the Rams. Because don't forget, when your quarterback is under center, there's a couple of things that happen there. One is the mesh point takes longer to show up because the quarterback has to take three or four steps to get to the back. So what does that mean? Linebacker, second level defenders,

they have to wait and see what happens. They can't just retreat if its own coverage. They have to wait until that playoff. action clears and it takes longer to clear as opposed to when you're in the gun. So they put him under center. They run play action. He gets cleaner pockets. As you said, he happens to be a pretty thrower of the football.

That was never an issue when he came out of Cal. When he's clean and secure in the pocket, he throws a beautiful ball. And Ben Johnson, the OC for the Lions, the young guy, he does a really good job because you know what? He gets receivers open. And when a quarterback feels that he can deliver the ball comfortably, he looks pretty good. Yeah. I want to ask you, so we talked to Josh Allen, so early in this season, he was making a lot of mistakes in the red zone.

And I pushed my theory on that was they're not running the ball. They bail on the run. And in those red zone opportunities, the run game really becomes an ally and a friend because it's a very congested area. Now as they've sustained more of a run game, fewer mistakes. he has an ally. He doesn't have to make his congested throws, and he's still a remarkable athlete. Is there anything, though,

that does concern you on film about what you're seeing with the Bill's offense? Yeah, it does. Look, I think because of Josh Allen and the playoff, the two playoff games he had a year ago, there was a sense leading into this season, and we probably all bought into it, so I'm not going to say I was immune

because he's really a special talent, to just think, hey, Josh Allen is so good, this team's great. But if you really analyze this team and study their tape carefully, you see a couple of flaws. Number one, their O line is probably average at best. And even though the run game, as you mentioned, at times, has gotten a little better, in reality, it's not a consistent week-to-week run game. They didn't run the ball well at all this past week, and they didn't run it with any volume.

So they don't really run the ball with the kind of consistency and sustainability that you need. And I think when you look at their receiver position, Colin, it's really Stefan Diggs. Gabriel Davis has not really become a true number two. He's become a vertical threat that shows up every once in a while. Why do you think Cole Beasley is back there now? And who knows if he plays this weekend, I guess he might. But this team, when you look at their offense, is really not as talented overall as I think we all thought they were leading into this season because we looked at Josh Allen and kind of spread him over the whole offense because Josh

Allen is obviously supremely gifted, but you can't do that by yourself every week. That's too hard. So I want to move to a team that may be facing Buffalo in the playoffs, Cincinnati. Joe Burroughs, situationally, he just makes the right decision and throws the ball accurately to the right place. That's, I mean, he's not jumping over people. he's not putting on the Herbert cape. The other thing I like is they have a two-headed run game.

But obviously, the O-line is improved. You can talk about this because he's not getting hit as much. He's got more time, it feels like. Yeah, and I think there's a combination there. It's still, the O-line has played together a lot this year. I think all five guys have started every game, I think. And they're a little better, but I will say this. I think one thing Burrow had to learn when he got to Cincinnati through his first

couple of years was how to compensate and camouflage for O-line concerns. And I think he's done that better and better. So he's not getting sacked as much. His movement is really efficient. You know what word comes to mind when I watch Burrow? Quiet. Everything he does seems quiet, Colin, doesn't it? He never looks like he's doing anything fast. He never looks hurried. Even when he moves, he just looks quiet. But I think he had to learn how to move to help his offensive line, whether it's stepping up, whether it's sliding, whatever the movement may be, he has really learned how to do that really effectively, and that has helped both as offensive line and him.

They will face Tampa. Anytime a quarterback gets old, we ask, is he washed or is it the system, the scheme, or the offensive line? Tom Brady on film, what does it say? I mean, the bottom line, the film tells you that he, he's not playing particularly well in addition to the fact that others are not. Clearly, the offensive line is a little bit of a problem. They can't run the ball.

But what's happened is Brady is getting more pressure, more bodies closer. And you can see watching Brady, he does not want to get hit and he does not want to get sacked. So what happens is, is he falls away from a lot of throws and he just essentially throws the ball away. And he's also missed some throws, Colin. I'm sure you've seen it. he has missed some throws that we are absolutely used to seeing him make.

Now, I don't know if it's because he's anticipating pressure, is not comfortable in the pocket. I can't tell you why he misses the throws, but he has missed throws over the last month that he just has not missed in his career. But he's clearly not a comfortable player. My sense is he's anticipating pressure and perceiving pressure that sometimes is not there. All right, Gino Smith. There's an old. term regression to the mean. So his rise is pretty unprecedented, bust back up to second best passer rating in the league. This weekend, what do you know?

Faces a good defense, doesn't have the running game, and he looks pretty ordinary. What is the film say, the real Gino? I mean, Seattle's got two first round picks. I doubt they're going to get this high in their first round in a long time. So they're probably going to go get a quarterback. what is the tape say on the reality of what Gino Smith is today? Yeah, I don't think he played poorly this past week against Carolina. Carolina happens to have a really, really good defense,

a very challenging defense to play against. And I thought, for instance, the first throw of the game, which was an interception, was an unbelievable play by J.C. Horn. And I could understand watching that 15 times with my remote in my office, why he threw the ball. And Horn just made a great play. But I think Gino Smith, for the most part, has played well. I think he knows where to go with the football.

I think the biggest thing with him is to stay within the structure of the office. Look, we understand what Gino is. Gino is not going to be Josh Allen or Patrick Mahomes or he's certainly not Joe Burrow. But I think if he can stay within the structure, and of course, that structure demands a run game, Colin, which they did not have last week. You know, Kenneth Walker was out. They could not run the ball. So he needs a complete offense, a fully dimensional offense, and good play calling and the use of play action boot.

A number of variables all have to work for him to be successful. They know that. You know, even though he's having a really good season, no one is suggesting that he's a top three or top five quarterback in the league. All right. Let's move to, before we get to the big play, just some thoughts. You, I'm sure, saw some Brock Purdy at Iowa State. He's a gamer. He's not big, but he's big enough.

six one and a half, two 10, two 15. Pretty accurate thrower. Kind of a rhythm guy can get out of rhythm, as you told us, a couple weeks ago. You can get a little sloppy. That's what my scout, Lance Zerline said. Gets a little sloppy. But he, I got to be honest, I watch him. It feels like they're calling mostly the same game.

Usually if you go to a backup, the offense can change, right? If Alan gets hurt in case Keenham comes in, there's stuff they're not calling. It kind of looks like Kyle's calling the same offense. offense. I'm sure he is because it's an offense that, and I hate to use this term, but it's quarterback friendly. I mean, look what happened when Nick Mullins came in a couple of years ago. You know, Purdy is, he can be streaky. Like you said, he can get at a rhythm, but I think he gives them two things that Kyle will be happy about. One is he moves better than Garapolo. So you're going to see the play action boot game, which we saw last week, which was effective.

throws better on the run and he's just a lighter athlete than Garapolo. And the other thing he does give them is he gives them some second reaction movement. That was not something Garapolo did very well. Garapolo would stay in the pocket, stay in the pocket. He didn't move very much at all. He'd often get sacked if it got too late in the down. Purdy can give you second reaction movement and we saw that a week ago. So I think that will help Kyle in the way he calls a game.

I don't think he's going to change the way he calls a game because I I think their offense is, it's not built on the fact that the quarterback has to have a gun and make these throws that we see, you know, with Josh Allen or Patrick Mahomes or those kinds of quarterbacks made. I think it's built on structure. It's built on thematic concepts. And can Purdy handle that? Yes, he can.

The question is, will he get streaky? Will he make some throws that you just go, hey, you can't make those throws? We don't know that. He's played two games, but there's no question he's looked very. Very good in two games. All right. The big play of the week is with Brock Purdy. Yeah, let's take a look.

This was a touchdown to McCaffrey, a passing touchdown, obviously, 27-yard touchdown. And this play is in many ways classic Kyle Shanahan. And we'll see why momentarily. Here you have Purdy. He's in the gun. Now, the 49ers are in a two-by-two set here. Now, what they're going to get here is they're going to get the bucks rushing six. They're going to rush six.

and essentially then play man to man across the board. So this could be called zero coverage because there won't be a free defender. So it's going to be all-out pressure. Now here's what Kyle does. He puts George Kittle in the backfield and he puts Christian McCaffrey split out wide. So McCaffrey is going to be matched by Logan Ryan,

who's a safety and has played corner in the league. And look at Logan Ryan carefully here. Look at his body position and his eyes. He's looking inside. The reason, Colin, is because he's playing the pressure. He's anticipating the ball's going to have to come out quick on an in-breaking route. And it doesn't come out quick on an in-breaking route. And in fact, it's a touchdown.

So now you're going to see it even more clearly here. You can really see Logan Ryan looking inside. He's anticipating the quick throw. Look at him. It doesn't happen. And he gets beat over the top. So this was a really well-designed concept. they blocked it up well and Purdy made the throw.

This was actually a really, really good throw by Purdy 2 to the outside. This was one of those throws where you just say really good ball placement, really good throw. Jerry Jones and say, wait a minute, not so fast. Here is what he said with the latest on Odell Beckham Jr. Great players make great place. Great ones make exceptional plays. And so I hope we advance here where a handful of great plays, if I may be the difference in a world championship. Great players make plays. How many owners do you see getting into cars surrounded by the media around the NFL?

Oh, Jerry, it's his toy. He loves this. He likes toys. He feels like he texts them. Hey, guys, I'm going to my car. Do you guys want to let some quotes? Like, come get it. It just feels weird. But I will say, Jerry, even Michael Irvin has told his stories about, you know, Jerry's a businessman. He's not going to pay O'Dell Beckham through his heart. You know, Jerry's not one of the richest owners in the league because of that. So O'Dell Beckham, frankly, made a huge mistake, taking money through Bitcoin, goofy move by a lot of these athletes, cryptocurrency. A lot of it's a grip. Are you shocked at that? I'm stunned. Bitcoin.

Oh, no, young people buy into NFTs, Metaverse, all this tech stuff. You're not on the Metaverse? No, God. You don't have any real estate in the mind? I can't even say it with stupid. I mean, it's ridiculous. But, I mean, he took it. So he wants money.

And in the end, Jerry's like, hey, if you're not going to play this year, I'll tell you when you're, I'm not going to sign you and you only are available. I think Dallas, the truth of the matter is, if Tyron Smith comes in healthy at left tackle, they're good enough at skill positions. Tony Pollard, Zeke, Dac, Michael Gallup, C.D. Lamb, Schultz. They're good enough. I think he would add juice, but they're good enough. Their defense, the key with Dallas is they have to play either with a leader close. If they're down big to Philadelphia, Dax's not built to win like that. There's a way a formula Dallas can win. As long as they don't get down big to a Philadelphia, they can beat anybody in the NFC. Can we make it official? It's December 15th. No more Odell Beckham Jr.

I think it's interesting. Baker's your backup. You can win a lot of games with Baker as your backup. Also, you get, you'll be healthier on the offensive line that guard you drafted out of Wisconsin. five days, that there's a report from ESPN that the Rams offensive coordinator is going back to college. He's leaving Sean McVeigh. Why would he do that? Sean McVeigh is going to TV. Well, I think that right there is the most interesting aspect. Well, let's think about it. Now, think about it. Remember, Stafford. Had the elbow injury, the back injury. There's chatter that his wife is like, dude, you won the Super Bowl, you made a lot of money. Okay. So two things.

Sean Payton takes a job. We have an opening here. We have the NFC. McVeigh won a Super Bowl from the NFC. So if Sean Payton left Fox, I'm just rambling here. I can guarantee you he'd be one of the first people we'd call. Well, that's if Stafford is going to be back there, obviously. Let's just assume he is.

Okay. So Sean Payton takes a gig. The first guy were Collins, McVeigh. Okay. Secondly, Kirk Herbstreet does a great job. Great job. But he's a college guy doing pro. He does a fine job. He does his homework. But now with a 12-team playoff starting, ESPN says, listen, we'll pay him more, but we need you around more. We can't have you on a Tuesday, Wednesday, getting on a flight and going to Green Bay. Kirk Herb Street takes the money, Amazon buys him out, and McVeigh goes to Amazon who they first offer the job to.

This is all speculation. But I'm saying Amazon and five, he's not going to end. NBC, but the Amazon analyst job, if Amazon's like... Are they going to get better games next year? They've had a lot of clunkers. Tonight's an awesome game. I have no insight. I'm just telling you if I ran Amazon sports and McVay was on the market and I would go to Herb Street and say, listen, we love you.

We'll pay off. But ESPN, let's face it. Ideally, they want Herb Street all over the building because their college football is going to get bigger. And now you've got USC, UCLA going to the Big Ten, 12-team playoff, transfer portal. I'm just saying I can see, I can see that happen. Now, we did a show like five years ago here at this network, and you were doing The Herd and then that show after. Oh, I went to the...

You must have been exhausted. Kirk Herbstre's flying to an NFL game on Sunday, flying back to his family, then going to a college game. No, no, he does college games on Saturday. He does the show. He does a game. Then he comes home. He's with his family. Then Tuesday, he's on a plane.

Wednesday, he watches the walk around Thursday. It's an exhausting life. Yeah, it's not like he's like 35. And no, I'm sure Kirk is a fine guy, but that's a lot of travel. When you got a family? So I'm just saying is I can. can see both those jobs potentially being available. It's not a knock on anybody, but Sean Payton is going to get five coaching offers easily.

Houston's going to offer him. That's just one of the – he's going to pass on that one. Well, now I am. There's going to be a lot of people that – Tampa might offer him to induce Tom Brady to stay. He's going to have – you're running bowls out of town. I'm just saying, Sean Payton's going to get a half a dozen offers. That means Fox would have an opening. Do you want a spiciest one?

Some random guy sent me this on Instagram. Cowboys crater and lose in the first round of the playoffs. Dak is terrible. Sean Payton and Tom Brady to Dallas? Sean Peyton and Aaron Rogers. I mean, I'm just saying. How about Sean Payton and Dak? Sean Peyton and Dak.

I'd like to see that. You've been on this. Dak is not playing well. If he is awful in the first round of the playoffs, I know McCarthy's built up a lot of goodwill, but they can't lose in the first round. I don't think they will, but they're going to be going on the road if they're not a division win.

No, listen, crazy stuff happens. Last year, Joy and I laughed about this. We said, okay, Urban Meyer got fired and John Gruden got fired, and we're like, well, there's got to be five more guys to get fired, and it happened like in three weeks. The bottom line is if Dallas is awful in the first round of the playoffs and loses. You're absolutely right. McCarthy's done.

Jerry's getting no, not going to sit around there. If he has another clock issue, like, let's say it's a bad clock issue, like last year's lost. Don't remind me. Yeah, I had Dallas in that one. Yeah. So. Then Dan Quinn. I would go offensive coach.

Well, yeah, he's not getting the Dallas job, but he's interviewed for like three jobs last off seats, remember? Yeah. All right, we got one more here. Let's see. Back to the NBA and the Lakers. Despite the success of Russell Westbrook coming off the bench, you seem to be hot for that. He's doing great. Apparently, the Lakers do not seem sold on keeping Russ through the trade deadline.

This is smart. Eric Pinkis, I had this guy on my podcast this week. He's great. The Lakers have moved Westbrook to the bench this season where he's thrived in the six-man role. Yeah. But it may not be enough for the team to keep him on the roster through the trade deadline. But concerns persist internally that Westbrook doesn't compliment LeBron. He doesn't. And that the mix of stars may not work in the postseason when rotations shorten.

Very, very good report by Eric Pinkis. said before, stuff can work short term. Westbrook has done a great job to embrace it. And the Lakers are fortunate. Now people see his value. I'd move AD and Westbrook, but the Westbrook one is silly to buy into. Sell high, you know, by low, sell high.

He is not built for the playoffs when efficiency becomes paramount. Jason Timp, if you ever follow him on my podcast, he's very good on this stuff. look him up hoops tonight he talks about this we're all buying into the westbrook story because he's embraced it and good for us he deserves our respect it ain't as good as you think go to the analytics he's still a brick waiting to happen he will he's never been built for playoff basketball where efficiency no free baskets got to hit those open jumpers becomes paramount he's also not a very good defensive player guys who come off the bench can have really impressive games in spurts

because they make threes. Remember Grant Williams? Game 7 against the bucks, it's like seven threes. Jordan Poole got hot from deep. You're not thinking of like mid-range guy who comes in and scores 20 points off the bench in a humongous game.

It's mostly three-point shooters. Keep an eye on Bugdanovich in Detroit as the Pistons tank for Victor Wambaynama. He's our leading scorer. Cade Cunningham, their number one pick, out for the season. Shin surgery. So they'll be tanking with the spurs.

Everybody's chasing the big seven-foot-two kid out of France. I mean, we've largely ignored the NBA because of the World Cup has been great. But there's some stuff start. The wheels are in motion. Like, who's good? Huge middle class.

A couple elite teams, not many. Just keep an eye on the NBA. It's going to get interesting here soon. No, I mean, what's interesting is the Pacers and the jazz we thought were tank. They were supposed to be tanking. Yeah, they were potential tank teams. Both pretty good. So far.

We also have AIDS on the table right now. Thank you finishing that sentence. Yes. I don't think there's a more important year for black people. Really?

We were thinking about this if the cleat fits wear it. So we're talking about I mean, Tom Brady's not going to stay in Tampa and

we don't know how many teams will be interested in Tom. It was only a couple when he left, but he did win a Super Bowl. But we do know that there are certain places that it would be interesting. So you name the team and we'll say yes or

no if the cleat fits with Brady. Let's start with the team you were hot for last week, the San Francisco 49ers, are the 49ers a good fit for Brady? I think we both agree it's the best fit. It is a lots of weapons, smart coach, run game dominant, excellent defense, not a heavy lift. He'd be surrounded by playmakers. That's the easiest one, yes. Okay. This was a little more complicated. Are the Patriots who have two quarterbacks on rookie deals? Are they a good fit for Tom Brady? No. Defensive coach. coach, no weapons. I mean, Hunter Henry's the most dependable go-to guy. He left New England because of that,

not a fit. Okay, this is the one I like the most. Are the Raiders a good fit for Tom Brady? Yes, Hunter Renfro's a top three slot. Devante Adams, like Tom, a workaholic, smart player, Josh McDaniels, they've got a left tackle, they've got a pass rusher. What they need is to clean it up in the back end, which that's what a draft is for. But they've got a lot of of elements of a playoff team. Starback, left tackle, star receiver, elite tied end, pass rusher. All right, I guess we'll do this one.

If the cleat fits, are they jets a good fit for Tom Brady? Not terrible, but I would say, no, it's a defensive coach, and their young receivers are kids. Tom generally likes, like Devonte Adams, or now like a Debo. So Tom tends to like veteran receivers. He's not really a mentor, a little bit like Aaron Rogers. He'd rather have a veteran instead of teaching young guys assist him.

The O-line is also a little concerning in New York. All right. Are the Miami Dolphins a good fit for Tom Brady? I think yes. I do. This is where he wanted to go initially, or it was one of the places. So they got star receivers, a left tackle, better than average running backs. Defense isn't great.

but it's like San Francisco with better tax structure. It is same coach, same system. Now you don't get Debo, but you do get Jalen Wattle, Tyreek Hill. So I think this is probably a long shot, but I do think Tom would work there. And he gets to face Belichick twice a year with much better weapons. And if Tua stinks it up this weekend against Buffalo gets really interesting. All right. Pittsburgh Steelers, are they a good fit for Tom Brady? No, because the defense isn't as good as it used to be.

It's middle of the pack. They've got Kenny Pickett. It's cold weather. He's joked about going down and playing in warm weather. That would just be further away from his aging parents. We like Mike Tomlin, but it is very, they can't figure their offensive line out four years in a row. I like their weapons.

I love the tight end, Najee Harris, Johnson. I love their weapons. But Tom at this point is done with bad old lines. This old line's been bad for four years. This defensive coach and staff can't figure it out. He feels like too much of a pretty boy for a top. tough, you know, gritty city like Pittsburgh. Are the Titans, Tennessee Titans, a good fit for Tom Brady?

Kind of. Oh. Tennessee Titans, a good fit for Tom Brady. It would not be top because they still have wide receiver issues. They had a rookie lad this year that's pretty good. But again, they always feel as an organization like two, weapon shy of where they need to be. And they're just consistently, it's like they just don't have enough pieces. They're a little bit like New England. Coach defense culture lack weapons.

New York Giants. Good fit with Brian Daibble for Tom Brady. No, because I think they're dysfunctional. I think, I mean, literally, they've got one playoff appearance in like since 2011, I think. Yeah, I mean, it's cold weather. There's just not a lot. I think they have to rebuild their wide receiving unit. I think they have to rebuild their offensive line. And I like Saquan Barclay, but he's already had one big injury. What if he had another? I think the Jets are actually kind of close if they got the quarterback right. I mean, they got the receivers. They got their defense. They got their all-world corner. They just got to figure out a couple of pieces on the O line. The Jets, now again, I say they just got to figure out, you know, the quarterback

and O line. But I do feel like the Jets are a piece or two away from a playoff team. Finally, the Seattle Seahawks, huge one tonight against the Niners for Gino Smith, Pete Carroll. Are they a good fit for Brady? Am I crazy to say yes? Super Bowl winning coach, D.K. Metcalfe, Tyler Lockett, excellent offensive line, star young running back, emerging corners, and a bunch of picks. Am I nuts to say that one makes sense? It's not terrible. By the way, the Niners may say we can't afford you.

has got cap space. Listen, one thing Pete Carroll likes is a chess match. Brady can play with Pete Carroll. He's, you know, Pete is, I know it sounds crazy. But what about the division aspect?

Arizona's cratering. Rams are whatever they are. I mean, you'd have to face the Niners twice a year, but it's a challenge. Proz and cons for these are pretty interesting. Stafford did it last year. The Dolphins won where he'd face Belichick twice a season.

I think he likes that our private jet to the Bay Area from Seattle. Northern California hour five flight. I don't know, man. Seattle's got a lot of interesting moving parts here. They've got options, which is one of the best things to have. I mean, you figure they're going to be too good. They're not going to be a top five draft pick going forward. It feels reasonable.

So they've got Denver's first round pick. They got like the third pick. When you get the third pick as a good franchise and you don't have a quarterback, history tells you just go take a quarterback, even if you don't love them.
