Guaranteed Human.
Hey guys, it's us.
The Jonas Brothers. I'm Joe.
I'm Kevin.
And I'm Nick.
And guess what?
We created our own podcast called, Hey Jonas.
We invented a podcast?
Well, we didn't invent it.
We just contributed to it.
We're the first people to do podcasts.
We get to ask other people questions because we're sick and tired of being asked questions.
Well, sick and tired is a strong way to put it.
But, you know, tired and sick.
Tired and sick.
Listen to Hey Jonas on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you.
you get your podcast. Just listen. We don't care where you hear it.
What's up, fam? It's Isaiah Thomas. And I'm CJ Toledano. It's our favorite time of the year on our
podcast point game, the playoffs. We're digging into the biggest surprises of the season.
And I'm looking back on some of my greatest playoff moments. If we didn't talk ever again,
I was harmed. You just understood. That's how personal it got. Wow. Then after that game seven,
Mark keep coming to. He's like, you know I love you, dog. You know, it's all love. This was just
playoffs. This was just basketball. So listen to Point Game on the I Heart
Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Therapy is fantastic, but once again, it does not have a monopoly on healing.
That's why I create the resources and that's why I create the community because I really

Nice job.
Graphics and set.
Halloween is Friday night.
The Cowherd Grotto will be serving up fresh produce to all the children in the neighborhood.
Well, maybe some M&M's too.
All right, Jay Mack, you know, right and wrong is a staple on this show.
Indeed.
And sometimes, unlike Yoshi, I surrender a meatball and it gets hit out of the stadium.
So here we go to Monday, Colin Wright, Colin Wrong.
Where Colin was right?
I told you.
I told you earlier this year, and I told you last year, AJ Brown, there's drama.
Jalen Hertz, head down, grinder.
going to deal with any of it. They had their best offensive game by a long shot without
AJ Brown. Maybe it's coincidental. Or maybe the only thing that gets in the way of a great
locker room is drama. And there's a little bit of drama. It gets people sidetracked. But the
Eagles I watched yesterday looked like the Eagles that got to a Super Bowl last year.
Where Colin was wrong. Yeah, I kicked
Buffalo out of the herd hierarchy, my bad, they're still good.
What was remarkable is that Josh Allen only had 19 pass attempts.
They looked like the real deal.
You know, what do you need to say when Josh is feeling it?
I don't think Carolina is as terrible as everybody wants to say.
I think Caroline is okay.
But I've got to be honest, that was impressive.
Where Colin was right?
Mike Vrable in New England, first play six and two.
This will mark the fourth straight.
year that my double their win total pick will come to fruition. They're still in the rebuild.
They still need, to me, a consistent pass rusher, another perimeter weapon, but they're well
coached. And Drake May, man, does that look good? Just the eye test, accurate size, boy, he moves,
knows when to slide. Yeah, we were right on that one. Where Colin was wrong. I thought,
Ryan Kelly would work at LSU.
I thought it was a weird fit.
That whole, you know, Southern Rang thing he had, I thought was weird.
But, I mean, the guy won everywhere.
Ed Ors-Rond won a Natty at LSU, and Brian is a good coach.
Pre-LSU, he won big at three different programs.
Smart guy.
But you know what?
It just goes to show that fit matters, and this was always, I think you knew this.
It was a weird fit.
Where Colin was right?
said it last year when the Indianapolis local media was saying,
you got to fire Chris Ballard, the GM.
And I'm like, are you guys crazy if you watch the games?
They're bad at quarterback.
They're good everywhere else.
Their old lines good.
Taylor, Pierce, Pittman.
I mean, they could use another pass rusher.
They're probably one cornerback shy,
but the whole NFL could use another cornerback.
This is a well-constructed team that the sky was never,
falling. In this league, if you don't have quarterback right, it makes everybody else look incompetent.
The GM and the coach are excellent. They just needed a trigger man, and I would be shocked if they
don't sign Daniel Jones to an extension. Where Colin was wrong. The Celtics are winless without
Jason Tatum, and Jalen Brown's even planned well. Listen, the last several years, the point
differential didn't change that much. In fact, the offense was better when he didn't play.
Now, I didn't think the team was better, but they've been fine without Jason Tatum for several years.
Right now, their offense 30th in the NBA, dead last.
So, I mean, listen, we know he's a good player, good kid.
In the short term, they were fine without Jason Tatum.
In the long term, it is ugly because Jalen Brown's playing well.
Jailen Brown always plays well.
Where Colin was right?
Colorado got baked again, 53 to 7.
lost to Utah down 43 nothing at half. Listen, I said, Dion Sanders was great to get attention.
Dion Sanders was good for energy and some recruiting. He's not an elite football coach. They're
one in four in the Big 12. You know, again, not every coach is just about W's. I think at Colorado
with some of their revenue issues, NIL world, I think Dion was a good choice. But we always said,
this staff.
I mean,
come on.
I mean,
you have to be
a thousand percent
committed to coaching
to be really,
really even good at it.
And I just never thought
Dion was that level of a coach.
Where Colin was right?
I have never wavered
on Justin Herbert,
top five quarterback period.
And right now,
second and touchdown passes
in the NFL,
first in passing yards,
with a number three running back,
back up everywhere
on the offensive line.
He's facing.
20 more pressures than the next quarterback in the NFL.
They are five and three.
They just blew out the Vikings.
And again, he is doing it with most of the offense,
either gone or not playing at 100%.
Where Colin was wrong.
Okay, I'm making an exception with quarterbacks wearing their hat on backwards.
Justin, was it a Laker game with singer and model Madison Beer?
Listen, I'm sorry, I'm a true romantic.
I'm sorry.
Everything in life has exceptions.
It was his off day.
I mean, he didn't have practice.
I mean, look at him.
He's like a hero.
I mean, everybody in life has to make one exception.
Oh, okay, I made a big exception.
And, oh, my bad, I'm a true romantic.
I see, you know, a lot more than just Valentine's Day cards going forward.
So I'm going to make a little tiny exception.
with quarterbacks and their hat on backwards.
Influencer, artist.
Hey, it's an artist.
Maybe he's becoming a little more ad liby.
And with that, Matt Hasselbeck, 18 years in the NFL.
Listen, I have a lot of kids and I have rules.
I am.
I'll make a second exception on quarterbacks I like you.
and Herbert.
Hey, I don't know. Romantic, is that the right word?
Listen, for him, he's got such beautiful hair, though.
It's kind of like a headband.
He's just like keeping it back.
He's like Jim McMahon in that headband with said Roselle.
Look at that beautiful hair.
It's amazing.
Yeah, there's a lot of beautiful things there, and his hair is one of them.
You're such a romantic.
You're such a romantic.
Oh, gosh.
I know.
All right.
So I'm watching the Packers last night, and I said this during the break about half hour
ago and J. Mack rolled his eyes and I said, listen, stop telling me Jordan loves up and coming.
That's elite. Size arm mobility. I think he's got a little, he got a little Mahomes in him where
he can do the underneath stuff. You can put him on script. But I'm sorry, Matt. He is just one of those
guys that the ball looks different. It's just he's such a natural fluid guy. What do you see?
Yeah, he's awesome. Listen, it's so weird what the Packers have done. They went from Far
Roger Rogers to love so seamlessly in a world where no one can get the quarterback right.
Those three guys kind of sort of started playing like each other.
I think Jordan Love plays a lot like Aaron Rogers.
You know, and I know Matt LaFleur is there, same coach is Rogers finished with and that's
who's training him up.
He's great.
I think one of the best things about him is his calmness, his demeanor.
When the moments get huge, he's got a Jalen Hertz vibe about him.
Like, yeah, yeah, this is really cool.
This is fun.
I get to go play against Aaron Rogers at Lambo.
No big deal.
Yeah, we're going to do a jersey swap later.
Like that's awesome.
Like it's incredible to have that level of, you know, like this is a guy he probably grew up watching.
And now everywhere he goes in Green Bay, people love Aaron Rogers.
A lot of those guys have Super Bowl rings on their fingers or at home because Aaron Rogers helped him get it.
And yet he's like, yeah, it's cool.
Like I'm going to with my guys that might really be his guys.
They're all hugging before the game.
And I'm going to be like, yeah, this is my team now.
I got it.
I'm looking forward to this.
I love that about him.
And yeah, sure, like all the throwing and all that stuff, he's got that as well.
there's no doubt about that.
Listen, everybody could beat up on Aaron Rogers,
but there's sometimes you go to a company,
and the company has a culture,
and there's only so much you can do within that culture.
And this is a spend their money on defense,
a defensive head coach,
they're still on fourth and three,
punting it or kicking field goals.
I think Aaron's doing kind of about as much
as a 41-year-old quarterback can do with Pittsburgh's offense,
or am I wrong?
No, and they're the Pittsburgh Steelers.
like they're never going to change.
They're bigger than any one player.
I don't care who the player is for decades now.
Aaron Rogers has breathed life into that offense and that excitement.
I think the defense just isn't matching the intensity.
They're not matching the level of execution.
They spend a lot of money in that defense.
I don't know if you know that, but they're not playing like it.
And I think in that game, there were just so many efficient runs from the Packers,
especially late in the game.
And by efficient run, I mean, like, if it's second and two
and you run the ball for three yards, like that's perfect.
that's called an efficient run.
And so not every run has to be an explosive run,
but when it's a running down, we're moving the chains.
That's where the Packers couldn't help their quarterback out.
They couldn't help out Aaron Rogers on the other side of the ball.
So, no, I mean, this is still a playoff team in my mind
because their division's so bad and they can figure it out.
But the leadership in that locker room in Pittsburgh has to step up and say,
hey, guys, listen, this is, we're the Pittsburgh Steelers.
We're known for our defense.
Like, let's be known for it in a good way,
not in the way that, hey, we're letting down our Hall of Ham,
quarterback. So this happens in the NBA. It happens in the NFL, not that frequently, but from time to
time, a really great player leaves, and so does some drama, and the team plays better. And I've seen
it happen in the NBA. It's not just all about, you know, great players. Chemistry is so undervalue.
You live with these guys for eight, nine months. A.J. Brown doesn't play. The offense looked like
the Super Bowl offense.
And it's like, I like A.J. Brown.
I love him.
But is it a coincidence?
They were that good yesterday?
Well, they did play the Giants.
I mean, so, I mean, I mean, you know, it's a rivalry game.
The Giants are, listen, the Giants had too many mental errors, mental mistakes on
defense.
They let Sequin Barkley go for the first touchdown of the game.
I think AJ Bark, I think AJ Brown is an incredible player and very important to the
Phillies offense to all their success.
They didn't need him yesterday.
They played outstanding without him yesterday.
day, but they also rushed the ball for like almost 300 yards. Dallas Goddard is a weapon.
He showed up big time. Again, you know, the Giants didn't do a great job of trying to stop him.
And then other people stepped up, like late in the game. They're going all out blitz.
Jalen Hertz is forced to throw the ball. He throws a beautiful pass to Dots and he goes up and masses
somebody. Like, listen, this is a complete team. This is probably, you know, a lot of people's
favorite to be the Super Bowl representative for the NFC. I think this is a team that I believe in.
I believed in them for a long time.
The drama, they seem to be used to it.
There's something about the mental toughness of this team.
But yes, I would agree you don't want an energy vampire on the sidelines,
and diva wide receivers can do that.
In this case, I don't think A.J. Brown is that.
I think his importance to the team, his value to the team is real.
You know, I was thinking about this morning,
is that just because a baker and a chef were in the kitchen,
they have two different skill sets.
One, baking is following, you know, recipes,
and, you know, chef is a little of this and a little of that
and a pinch of that, is that quarterbacks,
we all just think big, strong throws.
Okay, that's not it.
Some guys are timing and rhythm quarterbacks,
and some coaches are timing and rhythm coaches.
And then you get Cam Newton, or you get kind of far, I guess you could say,
he's just kind of, listen, I'm going to add lib some of this stuff.
I watch Ben Johnson
and I watch Caleb on script.
That's one quarterback.
But the other 12 possessions,
I'm not trying to be harsh,
but it just doesn't,
it shouldn't be this hard, Matt,
should it?
Well, I think Caleb Williams is still a work in progress.
He's a young quarterback.
And, you know, like,
I get what you're saying,
like the baker and the chef.
Scouts are going to love this guy.
He has wow plays and explosive plays.
that are just like amazing.
You can't coach that.
You can't find it anywhere.
That's what scouts love.
But what coaches love is consistency.
I put myself in that boat too.
I want consistency.
I just want you to do it the right way.
And I think Caleb is trying.
He's trying to throw on time.
He's trying desperately not to take sacks.
But in the process, kind of like what Will Levis did last year,
he was trying so hard not to take sacks.
He's intentional grounding here and there.
He's hurting his team in other ways.
He's missing guys that are wide open.
And so listen, I'm not trying to throw stones.
I just think he's a work in progress.
But to me, so far, what I see, I think Ben Johnson is here to stay as a great head coach.
Will it work out with these two guys?
I'm not so sure.
I'm not so sure.
The wow plays might be enough for Ben Johnson to say, hey, I believe in my ability as a coach.
I can mold this guy.
But at the same time, the Bears are talented team, and they want to be winning games.
They don't want to be losing to the Baltimore Ravens the way they did yesterday.
I got to give credit.
I know it's not a flashy story.
I thought Tyler Huntley is a backup.
That's about as well as a backup can play.
I mean, honestly, I kept waiting for a mistake.
I kept thinking, okay, he's a backup.
I was, I mean, I looked at him and I'm like, that's a professional athlete.
I could not believe how efficient he was, or is it the Bears' defense is overrated.
I actually think he's a really good player, and he's a great fit to back up Lamar.
I think he could be somebody starter.
Last year he didn't play great, and I'm not sure why, because every year before that,
he was very, very impressive to me.
I think he's one of the, I don't know, I would love to coach him.
I think he's a fun player to watch.
I think he does everything right.
He plays on time.
I don't know if there's a huge fan club for him, but I'm in it if there is one.
Okay, so sometimes, you know, it's so funny about this league, we've seen Baker and Darnold
reinvent themselves.
Daniel Jones was so bad with the Giants, it's hard to unsy.
it. So Kyle Shanahan, you know, he saw the Sam Darnold, the Caroline, and the Jets, and he's like,
no, no, I see it. I see the talent. He brings him out, and then Sam changes. I looked at Daniel
Jones, and I'm totally wrong. I'm like, I can't unsee it. He's too stiff. I know he's a big
strong guy, but he's too stiff. It looks too hard. Are you shocked? I mean, I think Indy's going
to give him an extension. I think you have to. Are you shocked by it?
No, I'm not shocked at all.
In fact, I feel like I called this.
This is, you know, he went and spent some time with the Minnesota Vikings,
like, you know, similar to what Sam Darnold did with the 49ers,
similar to what, really, to what Mac Jones is trying to do right now.
And he showed up, and everything I heard in Indianapolis from day one,
they were like, look out.
I know we drafted a guy really high in the first round,
but Daniel Jones is going to be our starter.
He's been unbelievably impressive.
And top to bottom, I don't care who you talk to from a,
ownership on all the way down.
People have been saying from day one, like, this is going to be our guy.
This is going to be our guy.
Reminds them of a lot of the characteristics that they had
and some of the other great quarterbacks that they had there in the past.
So listen, this is maybe one of the best teams in football,
and no one's giving them credit.
I think it's starting to come.
They got a huge one coming up against Pittsburgh.
That'll be a challenge.
But if they go and beat Pittsburgh, I think there's no denying it.
We can talk about Daniel Jones as a possible MVP candidate,
if not his teammate Jonathan Taylor.
And we can talk about the Indianapolis Colts possibly being the one seed in the
AFC with a first round by and hosting playoff games in a dome stadium.
Look out for the Indianapolis Colts there for real.
Yeah.
Okay, so full disclosure.
I saw Bow Nicks play twice in college live, and I was a huge fan.
And I covered Oregon for a long time, so I just like the program.
And I'm a huge Sean Payton guy because I work with him at Fox for a year.
And I just think he's really bright and has a million ideas.
Not all of them right, but he's got a million ideas.
I'm watching them, first of all, between Sutton and Mims and Franklin and this kid from Illinois,
those guys are like long, they run well, they can stretch the field.
I'm just telling you, when I as a consumer watch Denver, I just see athletes everywhere.
Way in on that offense, Bo and Sean.
Well, they got a great defense, and then that helps the offense.
and Sean is very confident, knows exactly what he wants to do, has done it for a long time,
and as a quarterback, he's exactly the kind of guy you didn't want to play for.
I think what Bo Nix is so great at, and a lot of people, you know,
and I would say, every coach I ever had would say, hey, quarterbacks,
you make so much money because of what we expect you to do on third down, red zone in two minute.
And that's where Bo Nix, to me, has been outstanding.
Third down, even fourth down, he's been incredible with his arm, with his legs, with his mind,
just really impressive.
And you think about that draft class, a draft class that last year was Jaden Daniels.
This year, everyone's talking about Drake May.
Both those guys are outstanding.
But Bo Nex, he's right there.
He's right there, both last year and this year.
And some people were like, oh, he's streaky.
Yeah, guess what?
When he's on fire, he's on fire.
Similar, I don't want to say it, but similar to Drew Brees.
And a little bit unstoppable.
Like the defense, I don't know what you do differently.
And this tandem with Sean Payton, like, it's legit.
Are they a Super Bowl contender?
Yeah.
If they can come out of their division, if they could win that division, they can win the Super Bowl.
That's a great division.
So I'm a believer in Bo Nix.
I don't know how you can't be.
Yeah, you know, it's funny.
I'm watching Green Bay last night, and I'm watching Denver yesterday.
And they just, these coaches, Lefleur and Peyton, have a way.
And I'm going to ask you this, that whenever they need a clever play, I'm always amazed when Andy Reid gets Sky Moore, not only a touchdown to the Super Bowl, he's open by 20 yards at the nine-yard.
you're like how the hell do you do that how do you fool everybody how many times did you with like a
mike homegren how many times did you go into game how many plays did you have that were like okay
we need a touchdown we how many do you go into a game because i swear to god these offensive coaches
the best guys just have a way of dialing up a play and it's not just open it's easily open in this
tiny congested space yeah like listen i might be like uh bursting your bowl
here a little bit, but like sometimes you'll put a play in for a team. Let's just say you're
Sean Payton and the Broncos. You put a play in for the Raiders and you'd end up not calling it,
but like, man, that would have been of a great, great play. And you keep practicing it for like
a week, two weeks, three weeks, four weeks. And now you're going to use it against the next
opponent, like five weeks later and it works on them and they're like, oh, they schemed up this
defense. And it's like, you know, the funny thing is the name of that play is Raider,
because we put it against him for the Raiders, like five weeks ago.
We've just been practicing for so long.
We finally got the stupid thing called.
That call sheet's so stinking big.
You can't, you know, sometimes you just don't get to all of them.
And so, like, yeah, it's like, sometimes, like, oh, we schemed them up.
But, like, we didn't even put it in for this team.
You know, I think the Philly Special might have even been that kind of a play.
The Eagles had put it in way earlier in the season.
So last game, the season is the Super Bowl.
And Nick Folles says to Doug Peterson, be like, hey, you want to run Philly Special?
Like, we've been practicing this thing all year.
Like, let's just go ahead and run it.
So that happens.
I see plays happen all the time, and I'm like, I doubt they put that in for this team.
Well, you did burst my bubble, but it's great information.
Anytime I see that, I'm like, what a brilliant coach.
And I'm like, it's just like in the dust bin, in the back room, and you pull it out because you need it, you know?
Yeah, exactly.
All right, great stuff.
Matt Hassel back in a Monday.
Thanks, bud.
All right, see it.
Yeah, that's such good information because Lafleur had one of those last night against the Steelers.
And I'm like, man, that guy's a genius.
You may have had that thing for the Lions in the Open or anything.
didn't get to it.
And boy,
Sean Peyton and Andy Reed,
they just,
you get into these
fourth and ones
or a two-point conversion,
it's like,
yeah, it's going to work.
It's going to work.
And I love the fact
that he likes Tyler Huntley too.
I'm watching the Ravens.
I'm like,
if you've never seen Tyler Huntley play,
you're like,
oh, I can build around that guy.

Hey, it's us, the Jonas Brothers, and guess what?
We have some big news.
What's the news, huge news?
We created our own podcast called, Hey Jonas.
We invented a podcast?
Well, we didn't invent it.
We just contributed to it.
We're the first people to do podcasts.
Pretty, yeah, pretty wide range of podcasts throughout there.
But this one's extra special.
So how do we actually come up with a name, Hey Jonas, guys?
I honestly don't remember.
I think it was on a call.
about what we should call it.
Well, we were thinking I'm originally calling it
one of the early names of our band
before Jonas Brothers.
This is how you guys remember it going down?
Yes.
I have a very different memory of this.
We were talking about a thing, a bit for the podcast,
where people could call in and say,
Hey, Jonas.
And then I wrote down on my little notepad,
Hey Jonas, and offered it up as a potential title for the podcast.
But thanks for remembering that, guys.
Listen to Hey Jonas on the IHeart Radio app,
Apple Podcasts or wherever you get your podcast.
Just listen. We don't care where you hear it.
What's up, fam? It's Isaiah Thomas.
And I'm C.J. Toledano, and our podcast, Point Game is about defying the odds.
Like LeBron heading into the playoffs without Luca and Austin Reed.
And finding ways to win no matter what.
He's the smartest player to ever play the game.
His IQ is at a level that we've never seen before.
And he knows. Without Luca and Austin Reeves, I got to manipulate the game.
We get a player's perspective on the challenges of the playoffs.
I think Joker's going to be exhausted this series because when they don't have Rudy in the lineup,
he has to really guard guys like Nas Reid.
He has to guard Julius Randall.
And then he has to give us everything he gives us on the night-to-night basis on offense.
And when IT's friends stop by, like Quentin Richardson, we dive into some playoff history too.
Steve Nash would get that thing.
That man, hell get the flying.
He running up the court, licking his fingers why he got the bar.
Like, you go through a training camp with that, Isaiah.
You figure it out real.
Quick. Get your ass up and down the court, and you're going to get the bomb.

Here's something that should not be as complicated as it is. Getting a racist statue removed.
And here's something that should be a whole lot easier than it is. Getting a new one put up in its place.
As long as there's a politics of race in America, there's going to be a politics of remembering the Civil War.
To get to school, I had to go down Robert Lee Boulevard. Get to the grocery store. I had to
down Jefferson Davis Parkway.
If you're an historian and you leave out half of what the history is, you're not doing your job.
I'm Akila Hughes, in Rebel Spirit season two goes deep on both of those things.
The fights, the politics, the people who won, and my personal campaign to add something to the Kentucky State House that's actually worth the wall space.
We are more than our bodies. We contain essence.
We contain spirit.
How do you represent that?
They are just fueling a fire that is really catching.
You'll see what I mean.

Keith Gianmanca seemed like a mild-mannered suburban dad.
But secretly, he became someone else, a master of disguise who went on a crime spree.
At the time, did it seem like a crazy idea?
It seemed very crazy.
But I felt so desperate that I felt it was.
the quickest, easiest way out.
Did you allow yourself to think about how it could go wrong
and what that might look like?
No, I didn't want to manifest that.
I was trying to manifest success.
Every family has its secrets.
But what happens when you discover that your dad
has been living a double life?
That is not the look of an innocent man.
This is going to change my life and my family dynamic forever
because everything that had existed,
prior in my reality is now untrue.

Carson Palmer last hour, game three of the world series tonight.
Josh Pate stops by our show, great college football voice in the final hour.
LSU's like, it's really interesting.
If you were Lane Kiffin and you were offered LSU or Florida, who would you take?
I would take Florida because Lane's a Florida guy,
but LSU is considered by many to be,
along with Georgia, maybe Texas,
the best college football job because of all the high school talent
within an hour of the campus,
Lane Kiffin's going to have options,
including staying at Ole Miss.
They're going to make the playoff now.
They've got three or four games left.
They're mostly at home.
So Lane Kiffin is going to make the playoff.
Reinvented himself good for him.
J. Mack with the news.
Turn on the news.
This is the herd line news.
All right, Colin, we got to start with an ugly story in the NFL,
and that's the Baltimore Ravens skirting the injury report stuff all week with this Lamar Jackson.
This has gotten ugly, and they're going to get slapped on the wrist for it.
So it's weird, Colin.
Friday, we were on the show.
Lamar Jackson was listed as a full participant in practice.
John Harbaugh said he practiced in full.
So then on Saturday, the Raven said, oh, that was our mistake.
he was actually limited in practice
and he was with the scout team.
And then all of a sudden
it's like Lamar's not playing.
And Colin, I don't know how you, I know you're like,
hey, it's no big deal.
Gainsmanship, blah, blah, blah.
They're playing with the minds of the
Chicago Bears keeping them guessing
whether it's Lamar or
or Snooputley.
Colin, this is bad.
Here's John Harbaugh explaining it.
It's an honest mistake.
I mean, it really is an honest mistake.
I can tell you this.
Nobody's trying to hide anything.
I mean, there's no advantage.
there's no advantage to be gained
with that
in their defense, you know?
He practiced a full practice.
I think they felt like, because he did the same
number of reps, it was a full practice, but when you dig in
and you read the rule at the end of the
day, it wasn't right, so that's what it was.
That's why soon as we found out, we changed it.
Yeah, I don't want to be cynical media guy.
Oh, really? Okay.
I believe him.
He's the only coached in the league, what, 15, 20 years?
And he's like, oh, when you read the
rule?
Yeah, John, time out.
I didn't know the rule.
The San Francisco 49ers,
players did not know
the overtime rule in the Super Bowl.
It had just been changed.
Come on.
Stop it.
These injury reports have not,
come on,
this has been around for a while.
I know they're a good organization,
but Colin,
this is a little sketchy.
This idea that everybody knows everything.
I literally have been in TV for 25 years.
I could never direct a show.
I don't even know what knob to push.
The idea that every coach knows everything about every, they don't.
That's why half of these coordinators get jobs and they just flail.
They don't, the little tiny leap between coordinator and head coach, they can't do it.
I know everybody out there is, this is what we do.
We're all, we're like sharks attacking chum.
John Harbaugh is like, yeah, we didn't know and then we found out we immediately changed it.
I think he's not BSing.
I think he's telling the truth.
So Friday, when most people are doing their walk-through the date before the weekend begins,
hey, we're locked in the plan, we got everything.
Lamar's practicing in full, and then he doesn't play.
Listen, the Falcons are dodging a bullet here because they did the same crap with Drake London,
who didn't miss any practice all week, and then all of a sudden sits out the game?
I mean, Colin, you know this.
The league is hugely propelled by fantasy football and gambling.
And a lot of people are making decisions on that and betting early in the week,
and maybe one of the people on this set.
You are hugely propelled.
Colin, millions of people are doing this.
It's not one person.
Millions of people go to games.
They don't get to be coordinators.
So what?
If I'm an NFL franchise, I don't give a care.
I don't give a rip about fantasy football players.
Well, the league has rules in place because they know how valuable fantasy and gambling
are.
Oh, you know my rule has always been.
I don't think injury reports should be published, period.
I think it's a terrible idea to tell opponents the weakness
The other thing, it was a hamstring injury.
Two injuries in my life.
Hamstring injuries and calf injuries.
Well, let me add groin injuries.
You're like, oh, I'm good.
You wake up the next morning.
You stretch, and you're like, crap.
You and me, but not 25-year-old guys in their prime.
They're opposite's true.
They're more finely tuned.
I have literally pulled my groin because I had my groin pulled.
I remember this years ago.
And an athlete said, bro.
you're going to pull the other side if you don't just do not do anything athletic.
And I'm out here thinking, yeah, whatever.
Two days later made it worse.
Calf injuries.
Hammy injuries.
These are finely tuned athletes.
Sometimes you go to bed, it feels good.
You wake up.
You can literally pull your calf in your sleep.
So I don't think I do not.
I'm not going to be cynical guy on Ravens.
Like, I don't think they knew.
I think it happens.
I think players change their minds.
minds. Lamar could say, okay, I'll go practice, but how hard did he go at practice? You don't know that.
But we're on a very opposite sides of the fence on now. We'll move on to, speaking of bad, it's the San Francisco 49ers.
They were down bad. We had this in headlines Friday. This was a layup. Texans roll, a listless San Francisco team.
Colin, they had zero first downs, I believe, with 90 seconds left in the first half. They could not move the football.
C-MAC had very low usage rate.
I think he had like 70 yards total.
Here's Kyle Shanahan not thrilled with his team's effort.
Not much to sugarcoat there.
I was real disappointed in how he looked for all four quarters.
First half was unacceptable and second half to get much better.
So not much to say about it, except that.
We'll look at on the plane and figure out all the things that we know we can correct
and that we did mess up.
But I expect the guys to come in tomorrow with a chip on their shoulder ready to get back to war.
What's interesting is after wins, I took the Texans this week, after wins,
Shanahan's teams for some reasons don't perform necessarily at their best level.
I mean, they are so beat up.
But still, though, to let the Texans have like 400 yards of offense, no Nico Collins.
And I think he was throwing to three Iowa State guys, just a bunch of young receivers.
And it's like, that was eye opening, Colin.
I'm just wondering, teams don't punt games.
But there were a couple games Sunday that felt like, ah, we're not locked in.
We're going to let this one go.
Do you think this is just a blip or the Niners in trouble?
Go look at that.
You know, you had the Niners winning the division.
I did not, and I did not for the exact reason that's transpired, which is their old
expensive and brittle.
And when old teams get hurt, it takes them longer to recover.
Young teams like Seattle or Green Bay can get banged up two weeks later.
The guy's playing.
So who do the Niners play next?
Keep your mind.
New York Giants.
Go ahead.
I double dog dare you to take Jackson Dart with him without Cam Scataboo.
By the way, Giants fans, I did try to get Scataboo in the show.
A gruesely broken ankle.
He's done to the year.
The Giants are unwatchable.
I think Brian Daibble is coaching for his job here in the next couple weeks, Colin.
I know you disagree.
You like the Daibald dart combo.
Have to fly all the way cross-country to face a team that just got humiliated.
All right.
We'll see what they got.
Final story, Collins, to the NBA.
Listen, I had to get this one in.
Your guy, Austin Reeves, with one of the great performances we've seen in the early season.
51 points, Colin.
No Luca, no LeBron, just a heavy dose of Austin Reeves.
51, 11, and 9.
What a performance.
Strangely, you were quiet on social media when Reeves was cooking.
I didn't know if you just wanted to wait to do it on the show.
I mean, Sacramento is known for such a rigid defense.
Here we go.
All right.
Anyways, here's Austin Reeves talking about the night of his career.
Especially on a night where you don't have Luca, you don't have Brown, you don't have Jackson.
Like, you know, you got to go out there and be big for the team.
Now what did my head thinking you got to go score 50?
It was do whatever you can do to help the team win.
How about this?
Efficiency.
You love the word efficiency.
Love it.
51 points on 22 shots.
Oh!
It's glorious.
How in Westbrook did, by the way.
Who?
Russell Westbrook.
Yeah, a non-factor.
Irrelevant.
Came off the bench, maybe a dozen points.
And Austin Reeves, 51.
You know, I know you like Cooper Flagg and some of these other hot, young, shiny new objects.
Just keep an eye on Austin Reeves.
If it ends with LeBron this season, can Reeves be the two?
And they get in, like, some other good players?
No.
I've been on this for years.
He is on a championship team.
He's a four.
On a good playoff team, he's a three.
Remember that Minnesota series?
You want to see that again?
He struggled against Anthony Edwards.
Yes, he's undeniable.
I wasn't the only person he struggled against.
J. Mack with the news.
Well, that's the news.
And thanks for stopping by.
The Hurd-Ly News.
For the record, Austin Reeves
isn't necessarily a great fit with Luca
because Luca needs the ball.
Austin needs the ball.
LeBron needs the ball.
If I was the Lakers,
I would move
Austin Reeves' trade deadline.
He can be maximized
somewhere else much more effectively.
That's not a knock on Austin Reeves.
He's really good with the ball in his hands.
Luca, skinny Luca,
should have the ball in his hands.
I said this before the season started.
I said it's going to be a problem.
LeBron's much better with ball than off ball.
Skinny Luca.
Luca, get him the ball and get out of the way.
So I think Austin Reeves, there's too much redundancy when LeBron gets back.
LeBron needs ball, Luca needs ball.
I would get somebody who's more off ball.
That's my take.
And Austin Reeves, I mean, I'm the Lakers last night.
I'm like loving it.
I want everybody in the world to see this guy, hey, that guy,
there are teams in the league that need somebody, like as a number two,
with the ball. Lakers don't.
And here's the earth thing.
Not only are international players, the best five players in the NBA,
they're the best five players by a mile.
I mean, there's nobody else like Wemby.
There's no domestic player like Wembe.
There's no domestic player like Luca.
Forget SGA and Yannis.
Skinny Luca, there's no comp in the States.
Wemby, there's no comp on the earth.
But I think Austin Reeves has value,
but I think it's a redundancy issue with the Lakers.
He is really good with the ball in his hands.
So there you go.
It's the herd.
Be sure to catch live editions of the herd weekdays in noon Eastern, 9 a.m. Pacific.
On Fox Sports Radio, FS1, and the IHeart Radio app.
Hey, it's us, the Jonas brothers.
And guess what?
We have some big news.
What's the news, new?
we created our own podcast called Hey Jonas.
We invented a podcast?
Well, we didn't invent it.
We just contributed to our first people to do podcasts.
Pretty, yeah, pretty wide range of podcasts throughout there.
But this one's extra special.
So how do we actually come up with a name Hey Jonas, guys?
I honestly don't remember.
I think it was on a call about what we should call it.
Well, we were thinking I'm originally calling it one of the early names of our band
before Jonas Brothers
was...
This is how you guys remember it going down?
Yes.
I have a very different memory of this.
We were talking about a thing,
a bit for the podcast
where people could call in and say,
Hey, Jonas.
And then I wrote down
on my little notepad,
Hey Jonas,
and offered it up as a potential title
for the podcast.
But thanks for remembering that, guys.
Listen to Hey Jonas
on the IHeart Radio app,
Apple Podcasts,

Just listen.
We don't care where you hear it.
What's up, fam?
It's Isaiah Thomas.
And I'm C.J. Toledano
in our podcast point game is about defining the odds.
Like LeBron heading into the playoffs without Luca and Austin Reed.
And finding ways to win no matter what.
He's the smartest player to ever play the game.
His IQ is at a level that we've never seen before.
And he knows without Luca and Austin Reeves,
I got to manipulate the game.
We get a player's perspective on the challenges of the playoffs.
I think Joker's going to be exhausted this series
because when they don't have Rudy in the lineup,
he has to really guard guys like Nas Reid.
He has to guard Julius Randall.
And then he has to give us everything he gives us on the night-to-night basis on offense.
And when IT's friends stop by, like Quentin Richardson, we dive into some playoff history too.
Steve Nass would get that thing.
That man, hell get the flying.
He running up the court, licking his fingers while he got the ball.
Like, you go through a training camp with that, Isaiah.
You figure it out real quick.
Get your ass up and down the court, and you're going to get the ball.
So listen to Point Game on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcast, or wherever you.

Tonight, it's game three of the World Series
as the scene shifts to L.A.
or Vlad Jr. and the Blue Jays take on Shohei Otani and the Dodgers.
Game three of the World Series.
Coverage begins tonight at 7 p.m. Eastern 4 Pacific on Fox.
I'll take the Dodgers. Glass now is pitched.
13 in the third innings in the postseason,
giving up one earn run.
his stuff is nasty, but like Snell, you know, he's a guy that had some injuries in his career.
They didn't pitch him a ton necessarily during the regular season.
He has got filthy stuff.
So Toronto is a handful.
Series is 1-1.
Jay's had a nine-run inning in game one.
But Yoshi shut him down.
Listen, great pitching.
Beats, great hitting.
I'll take the Dodgers and Glass now tonight.
for the record, let me just throw this out there.
I don't want this to be lost about the whole Bo Nix thing.
Like, I love Bo Nix.
A lot of people in the league I talked to were very hot and cold on him.
Didn't think he had a good enough arm.
I don't think that's a problem.
And I also think guys' arms get stronger.
Aaron Rogers at Cal was not Aaron Rogers with the Packers.
His arm got stronger.
So Bo Nix, since the start of Lowe.
Last season for all the critics of Bo Nicks, first in the NFL, completions on third down.
Third down is a big boy down.
That's for the grownups.
That's like the Drew Breeze down.
That's the Brady down.
That's the Mahomes down.
First in the NFL, completions on third down.
Also, top four in the league in red zone touchdown.
Is some of it Sean Payton?
Yes, some of it is Sean Payton.
some of Mahomes' greatness in the red zone is Andy Reid.
Some of Brady, Josh McDaniels.
Like, yes, of course.
But Matt Hasselbeck earlier today on what he sees from Bownecks.
What Bow Nex is so great at.
And a lot of people, you know, I would say every coach I ever had would say, hey,
quarterbacks, you make so much money because of what we expect you to do on third down,
red zone in two minutes.
And that's where Bo Nex, to me, has been outstanding.
Some people are like, oh, he's streaky.
Yeah, guess what?
When he's on fire, he's on fire.
Similar, I don't want to say it, but similar to Drew Breeze, and a little bit
unstoppable.
Like the defense, I don't know what you do differently.
And this tandem with Sean Payton, like, it's legit.
Are they a Super Bowl contender?
Yeah.
If they can come out of their division, if they could win that division, they can win that
division, they can win the Super Bowl.
Yeah, it's, you know, I think guys especially.
want to be right.
And so if they didn't think
Bow Nix would be good,
they're not interested in getting it right.
They want to be right.
And so a lot of people that didn't like Bo Nix,
especially guys, they're not going to admit it.
Well, it's the receivers.
Oh, it's Sean Payton.
The dude 18 under,
it's pretty surgical.
It's pretty special.
He will uncork an ugly one.
He had an early interception against Dallas
that was brutal.
He's young.
Year two, it's October.
But, I mean, he is, people struggle to get past him being, you know, what was he,
the sixth quarterback taken or fifth quarterback?
People just can't get past that.
I said in that quarterback draft class, J.J. McCarthy was the one I didn't get.
I got Drake, I got Caleb, I got Jaden, I got panics.
I was a big bonnicks guy.
And there's no getting around it.
He's outstanding.
I want to say this again, is that.
for the last
probably seven or eight years,
I was very critical of the Lakers.
I didn't think they had a very strong
ownership group.
Then they brought in
the Dodgers, who already owned a part,
the Dodgers owner
came in
and bought the Lakers.
And so it's a whole new ballgame.
My feeling on the Lakers is
totally different ballgame.
Money's not a factor.
They'll be run like the Dodgers,
which is vision,
long term, but one of the things last night that's really been highlighted, they have said in
26, they want to go big game hunting. The opposite of big game hunting is signing Austin Reeves
to an extension at 40 million a year. That's the opposite. He's a number three or a number four.
It's a very good player. There are three teams in this league who are good to pretty good,
and they need somebody that can have their ball in their hands and initiate offense. The Rockets,
the Celtics and Miami, I would call all three and find somebody that can be an athletic wing.
LeBron needs the ball.
Luca needs the ball.
You do not need another guy who's an average defender who needs the ball.
LeBron at this point needs the ball, average defender.
Luca's entire career really needs the ball, average defender.
Austin Reeves is your third guy.
Austin gives you the effort defensively, not a great defensive player.
He tries, and he's a good athlete.
But it's just redundancy.
And the old Laker ownership, I think, would have been afraid to pull the trigger.
If I'm running the Lakers, I love what Austin Reeves did last night.
I'd go to your social.
I'd put it on for three days.
If you can move Austin Reeves to like the Celtics, or like the Rockets, or Miami,
a team that needs somebody to initiate the offense,
and get somebody that is off ball because the Lakers are not a good rim protector.
I mean, even DeAndre Aiton's athletic.
Not a very good defensive player.
Reeves isn't a very good defensive player.
Luke is not a very good defensive player.
LeBron at this point is not a very good defensive player.
Redundancy.
Your best players are all offensive guys.
Move Austin Reeves.
It's a good player.
On this team, you've got him.
Just better versions.
So through three games, the Lakers have already shown you a little bit of what they are,
which is a bad defensive team.
They're a bottom 10 defensive team.
You got four guys who are much better on the offensive end than the defensive end.
What are you doing?
So Austin Reeves, you're moving to a team that needs offense and get an athletic, you know,
like a Nas Reid guy, like energy, defense, toughness, size, that's what you need.
You don't need another guy that needs the ball in their hands and can't make a stop.
So, you know, Colin, you sound a lot like the pundits after the Dallas Mavericks traded for Kyrie to partner Kyrie with Luca.
They went to the finals, Colin.
So I think Austin Reeves is going to be just fine alongside Luca.
The only way they're moving him is if Janus is coming to the Lakers.
That's the only way.
I don't know that Milwaukee would be interested in Reeves.
He would be a fan favorite, very Midwest flavor, given his background.
But I'm not giving up Austin Reeves.
Yeah. Well, another thing we disagree on.
Hey, guys, it's us. The Jonas Brothers. I'm Joe. I'm Kevin.
And I'm Nick. And guess what? We created our own podcast called, Hey Jonas.
We invented a podcast?
Well, we didn't invent it. We just contributed to it.

This was just playoffs.
This was just basketball.
