This is an I-Heart podcast.
Guaranteed Human.
Hey guys, it's us.
The Jonas Brothers. I'm Joe.
I'm Kevin.
And I'm Nick.
And guess what?
We created our own podcast called, Hey Jonas.
We invented a podcast?
Well, we didn't invent it.
We just contributed to it.
We're the first people to do podcasts.
We get to ask other people questions because we're sick and tired of being asked questions.
Well, sick and tired is a strong way to put it.
But, you know, tired and sick.
Listen to Hey Jonas on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you.
you get your podcast.
Just listen.
We don't care where you hear it.
Another podcast from some SNL late night comedy guy.
Not quite.
Unhumor me with Robert Smygel and Friends.
Me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman help make you funnier.
This week, my guest, SNL's Mikey Day and head writer, Streeter Seidel, help an
a cappella band with their between songs banter.
Where does your group perform?
We do some retirement homes.
Those people are starving for banter.
Listen to humor me with Robert Smigel and Friends on the ice.
Heart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Winning on Clay is an art.
The rallies are relentless.
And at the French Open, only the toughest survive.
I'd know.
I competed there for decades.
Join me, Renee Stubbs, on the Renee Stubbs tennis podcast for no nonsense breakdowns of the
biggest matches, the toughest players, and the moments that define Roland Garris.
She can win.
She's an outsider to win the French win.
And she likes Clay.
Listen, Lina Rubakina is arguably the best player in the world right now.
And I actually can win on any service.

Presented by Capital One, founding partner of IHeart Women's Sports.
Imagine an Olympics where doping is not only legal but encouraged.
It's the enhanced games.
Some call it grotesque.
Others say it's unleashing human potential.
Either way, the podcast's superhuman documented it all, embedded in the games and with the athletes for a full year.
Within probably 10 days, I'd put it.
on 10 pounds. I was having trouble
stopping the muscle growth.
Listen to Superhuman on the I-Hard
Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or

I'm Michelle McPhee,
and I've been unraveling the strangest
criminal alliance I've ever
reported on, a Mormon polygamist,
and an Armenian businessman.
Multi-million dollar house,
Ferraris and Lamborghinis, private jets,
a billion dollar fraud.
But how long can this alliance last?
Tell me what you know.
Is somebody coming after me?

Here we go.
It's hour two.
It is a Monday five minutes away.
Matt Hasselbeck is joining us.
RG3 in the last hour.
Really wild Sunday.
You know, on the show, we said last week,
we say it doesn't look like much of a lineup for Sunday and Sunday night.
But strange things happen.
Multiple overtime games.
And we do it every Monday.
Gotta hold myself accountable where Colin was right, where Colin was wrong, and here we go.
Where Colin was right?
Well, I've been saying for weeks, the Eagles are tempting fate.
It's not right.
Sequon's falling off a cliff.
You keep telling me Nick Seriani's a great coach.
But the Philadelphia Eagles, something isn't working.
And to have 24 straight unanswered points against a rival is completely
absolutely unacceptable.
It's not the end of the world.
But don't tell me everything is fine
and we'll just keep figuring it out
because I saw two years ago a really
good Eagles team circle the drain.
Where Colin was wrong.
I thought Chip Kelly was a solid choice,
lots of experience to be an offensive
coordinator for Pete Carroll, college, and pro.
The run game, absolutely non-existent.
Now, the O line, not very good,
but the Raiders continue to look backwards through the rearview mirror,
Chip and Pete Carroll and Gino Smith, and I was wrong.
Where Colin was right?
I don't want to be mean, but the J.J. McCarthy thing,
I don't know if he's even a backup.
Three turnovers and four yards in the second half.
You could watch how Green Bay was coaching.
You could tell.
Look at their game plan.
Green Bay.
It's like, we're just going to run it.
We don't need to take any big.
big swings here. So the second half against Green Bay is, I mean, you can't just throw when you have
all day and you're leading. I mean, yesterday is NFL quarterback playing on the road, trailing to a
very good team and a very good defense. Everybody kept telling me, this is the guy you got a draft.
And he was the only quarterback in his class. I said, I don't see it. I don't get it. I think I was
right on that.
wrong. Four years in, I'm not sure what USC is. But when they play Notre Dame or in Oregon,
the defense is below average and the special teams are a wreck. I mean, that's just the
reality is. And the offense now feels like basically Malik Malikai Lemon, uh, Mikai Lemon, it's a one-man
offense. They got a, you know, they're down to walk-ons on the offensive line. They did not
recruit southern California well enough the first three years they spent a lot of money on nil and
not all bit well i don't know i don't think they're close when you have 27 carries and run for 52
yards in the biggest game in a couple of years that's not close Oregon was missing their top
three receivers didn't seem to bother them i was wrong where colin was right once again i said
Pittsburgh, look at their schedules. Steelers will get hot early, four and one, and now they're
two and three in their last five games. One of my picks of the week was anti-stealer, go Chicago.
They no longer lead the division. I mean, Baltimore's not even playing well, and in a month
they've flown past them. They're not creative, very rarely, very infrequently on offense.
They spend a fortune on defense, and their defense isn't very good. It's 28th. Right now,
this defense for the Steelers is the worst in franchise history. That's how, you're
and it's the most expensive again.
So they're spending all the money.
They're paying all the attention to defense.
It's still bad.
Where Colin was right.
Once again, the bills are two Josh Allen reliant.
Buffalo is now one and four unless Josh Allen has three touchdowns.
That's ridiculous.
I mean, at this point, I don't like their offensive line.
They don't have a deep threat.
again, Josh is creating more turnovers because he's pressing.
He's forcing.
Good news for them is their run game.
Run games are valuable as the weather gets cold.
So I do think they're sort of built to go on a little bit of a mini streak here at the end of the season.
But I've been preaching this for years.
They're not clever offensively and they're just simply too reliant on Josh Allen.
Where Colin was wrong.
Brent Venables has been a hit at Oklahoma, and he's going to make the playoffs before Lincoln Riley.
What I like about Oklahoma, they look like an SEC team.
USC still doesn't feel like a Big Ten team.
They lack toughness.
Oklahoma, you would have never known if they were in the Big 12.
They're tough, they're physical, they're good enough at quarterback.
I always judge coaches on their side of the ball.
Venables, this is his first head coaching job.
That defense is money.
I have watched it disassembled Bama.
And again this weekend, they don't even need an offense.
That defense is so good, it's very SEC.
I was wrong.
I just didn't think Venables was going to succeed as quickly as Lincoln Riley, and I was wrong.
Where Colin was right?
Well, Brandon Staley.
Apparently the Niners, the stories, he's on his way out.
I never understand.
I don't understand Kyle Shanahan, his insistence.
to pay every wide receiver in the building.
They pay Debo. They pay Brandon Ayyuk. He's rarely been available.
I mean, again, pay Trent Williams, pay Kiddell, pay Christian McCaffrey.
You got to pay Brock.
But they're getting burned on this, and this relationship is soured,
and I never understood the financial commitment.
He's talented. I'll never deny that with Brandon Ayyuk, but I didn't get the money thrown at it.
where Colin was right?
John Morant, NBA reporters love small, poor shooting athletic guards.
This weekend, he's never going to grow up.
Another embarrassing moment.
He's now a bench player talking trash.
Last two years, the Grizzlies are better defensively and offensively when Jod doesn't play.
And he was yapping again this time to Clay Thompson, who said this afterwards.
He's been running his mouth for a long time.
and it's funny to run your mouth when you're on the bench.
It's kind of the story of career so far,
just leaving us wanting more.
We need that in the NBA.
We need our best players to be out there.
When you're a star, it comes with a great responsibility.
And I hate to see that called a waste.
There is more to being a star in the NBA than having hops.
It's about leadership and commitment and dedication and galvanizing egos.
Jaws never had that.
Colin right, Colin wrong, and now Matt
Haslbeck is joining us off a
weird, wild
Sunday. On paper, it didn't look like much,
but it was nuts. I
said this about Dallas. You know,
when Schadenheimer got hired, I thought, you know,
they've succeeded with Parcells
and Jimmy Johnson. I don't know if it's a strong
choice, but there is something
to be said about, I watch that offense,
and some of it's just the acquisition
of George Pickens, but that's a
joyful, fun, aggressive.
They're running, they haven't run the ball, Matt, in years.
Do I give Schottenheimer credit?
Is it, Dak?
I mean, I watch this offense.
It feels like it has more life today than it's had in years.
Who gets the credit in Dallas?
Well, there's a lot of credit to go around here.
I think specifically talking about Schrotenheimer, though, just the post game.
That reminded me of Pete Carroll post game.
And remember, Shottie was Pete Carroll's offensive coordinator for
a little bit. So you have the continuity of the offense. He's Dax guy. He was in the quarterback
room with Dack, you know, for the last few years. So that doesn't change. So Dack, I feel like
is taking a much bigger ownership role of the leadership role on this field. So on the field and also
on the sidelines, I'm sure, off the field. And then this team has been galvanized through,
unfortunately, through some tragedy this year where, you know, sometimes that can bring a team together
and all the BS and all the stuff that you typically deal with in an NFL season. It's like,
kind of fades away. Like, man, that's not that important. What is important? Let's be here
for each other. Let's cut it loose. Let's have fun. Let's treat every day like it's a blessing.
And then you see some of that like positivity out of, out of, out of Schottenheimer and the
coaching staff, players. And it was fun to watch. It was an incredible comeback. And I think it's
one that'll have a huge impact on playoff implications this year. So, you know, it's interesting,
man. I understand this. And I've always kind of defended teams who have a bad second half.
You jump off to a huge lead. And then all of a sudden, you know, you go.
into the locker room and you're sitting there for 15 minutes and you lead by a couple of touchdowns.
I saw it was Seattle and Tennessee yesterday. It's just hard to ignite the energy and the juice.
But it was only 21 to 7. 24 straight points against Philadelphia. Is that just they lost their
edge or were their scheme? I mean, punt, punt, punt, punt, punt. I can point fingers in blame.
You've probably been into locker rooms where you can't reignite the fire. What did you see
with Philly. I don't know
that it's reignite the fire. I think
they just failed to be the more physical team.
Philly got bullied. You know, this
from when I was growing up, Dallas
Philly was like, this is the most physical
team wins this game. It's a rivalry
game. Like here we go.
And Dallas just looked like the more physical
team up front. And then when you're
up 21-0, that's a situation
where like, hey, you know that we're going to run it.
We're going to run it anyway. Philly,
honestly, by their own decision,
didn't run the football. And it wasn't
like it was a stacked box, it was too high. It was two safeties deep half the time. It was not as,
it just no Sequin, no running game, no physicality. It just, it was shocking. It was really shocking.
It was fun to watch if you're rooting for Dallas. It was exciting. They were a team playing like,
hey, let's got it. Luce is a huge game. Philly didn't play that way in the second half. And the
identity piece for me is the weird thing. And it's hard. Like when I was a quarterback and
coach would call play and this is a bread and butter play for us, I know it's
going to get us like four or five yards and it's getting one or two then it's a little bit like
frustrating that you lose your confidence as a player you might lose your confidence as a play caller
um i think they'll have a chance to get it get right but they're they got to be scratching
their head right now so um and this is uh oh i oh i remember the brady team in tampa they had
they were seven and five and they take a buy and they come out of it and you're like oh okay okay
here we go. So you got to be careful.
Everybody looks good in September
and October. The rosters are healthy.
The weather's great.
This is now rosters, I mean,
bears yesterday had no linebackers.
And so I watched Kansas City yesterday
and I'm like, hey, maybe this is
the impetus. Maybe this is the game. They're down
20 to 9.
Or when you watch Kansas City, do you
see a team where Chris Jones isn't quite
as dominant? Travis
Kelsey getting older?
Where are you? I mean, because
a little bit, I said this earlier,
I watched Manny Pachia, I went a fight at 40.
There's still a punch.
There's still something there.
But it doesn't quite feel like it's just,
it doesn't feel like they've got that jet fuel,
that second or third gear.
How do you view an older team still got a punch?
They don't feel like a multiple playoff winning team to me.
They just don't.
Do they to you?
Well, when you watch that game yesterday,
you know, the Colts playing the Chiefs, you got to put them away because it is Patrick Mahomes.
They do have speed. They do have the best play caller of our generation and Andy Reed.
They do have guys on defense that can wreck a game. So you got to put them away.
And that's what the Colts did not do. And you got to learn how to do that.
It is a thing, like I would agree. You don't fear the Chiefs the way that you once feared them.
That's fair. The teams around them are clearly better than they have been in the past.
So, you know, is this a team that makes the playoffs?
I think they will, but they might not make the – they might not even make the playoffs.
I mean, they're an inch away from losing that game yesterday and really having a tough road.
I still think that they've got enough cashier or money in the bank, reputation, what they've done to write them off.
So the thing for them is, though, they're going to have to go on the road and be road warriors in playoffs.
Yeah.
So, listen, football has changed in my life, offensive.
of football.
Quarterbacks now, people draft small
quarterbacks and quarterbacks that are often
really, really athletic
that may have not even played
quarterback 20, 30 years ago.
So I
don't need every quarterback to be Drew
Breeze 69, 70%
completion. Like Drake May,
that feels like historically
unique talent. Like, it's just this
early that much. So I watched Caleb
and I'm like, yeah,
yeah, he misses some stuff.
but then I see that he's coachable.
He doesn't take sacks.
I've argued for years.
He's never thrown picks.
He's durable as heck.
Maybe this just is what he is.
You're getting, he's a cleanup hitter.
He's not going to bat 3.20.
It's not going to be pretty.
But man, does he have some Cam Newton farvish qualities to him?
Or are you still kind of waiting for to clean up some of the stuff?
Where are you today with him?
Yeah, what'd you say?
He's a cleanup hitter.
I think he's more of a highlight maker.
Like he'll have a few plays where you're like, man, that was incredible.
Guy comes off the edge, you know, the blitz.
He doesn't see it till late.
Then he sees it.
Then he makes a little whirly bird runs around and creates a first down.
Like, man, that was a highlight real play.
I guess for me, where I would just say to him, just see the guy coming and just throw your hot.
And then, you know, it's first down and you're moving on.
you don't have to be a hero.
You don't have to put the cape on.
You have a good team.
You have a great offense.
But no, I think he deserves his credit.
Like, he has done everything that we said he needed to work on last year.
He is doing it.
He is ascending.
He is improving.
He's doing all those things.
Not taking sacks is probably number one.
Not turning the ball over.
He does a good job with that.
My, I guess, where I'm not, like, putting him in the Hall of Fame
and fitting him for a gold jacket like you want to do.
I just don't think this Bears team has played anybody.
quite yet. Now we will get to know who this Bears team is because the, you know, five of their
next six games or whatever are against teams that are way better than the teams that they beat.
They haven't beat great teams. But I'm not going to hold that against him. He's a young player
with a ton of talent who's improved vastly from last year. I just, I'm not putting him in that
same rare air yet as, say, a Drake may. I could be wrong. And I think this is Ben Johnson is
proven. He is a great coach. And he is the guy, if someone can take him to that next level,
I think Ben Johnson would be the guy.
Okay, before I get to Shadour, Matt Stafford.
Speaking of gold jackets, yes.
I don't think I've, I mean, Matt, I've always argued that if Matt Stafford wins a second Super Bowl,
you're going to look at him and Aaron Rogers.
It's going to be a lot harder to say who was all-time better if he gets to a second Super Bowl.
Because he was better early, he was better in high school and college, he's better late.
He is on now a heater.
of all heaters.
I mean, I always love Matt, but he could be reckless.
He's got a big arm, but I mean, he doesn't get fooled anymore.
Is it scheme?
Is it growth?
Is it Devonte?
I mean, Matt, this is like Michael Jordan against the Blazers.
Like, he's putting his hands up.
Like, it's like, I don't know.
I've never seen him play at this level.
What is, describe why he is so hot.
It's the fountain of youth.
It reminds me of Tom Brady.
As this guy gets older, he gets better.
Whatever he did in that like a mortal chamber there that they brought to training camp.
Listen, the whole offseason, we were talking about training camp.
We were talking about his bad back.
He can't even practice.
He went out there trying to run around.
It was like, oh, man, this does not look good.
He's 37 years old.
It does not look good.
Whatever he did, whatever he is doing, last night in post game,
he said, I would like to thank the athletic trainers and all the people that have helped me
get back from this back injury.
This is the best football that he has played.
This is the best he has looked.
He looks younger.
He looks like he's aging in reverse.
His chemistry with Devante is, you know,
ridiculous inside the five-yard line.
I've not seen any receiver have more one or two-yard touchdown passes
when the defense knows it's coming.
It's either a fade or a slant.
You know it's coming.
And what do they do?
They throw a fade or a slant for a touchdown.
It's awesome.
It reminds me of when,
like Randy Moss was inside the five.
It's like you knew what was going to happen and it was inevitable.
That's kind of what those two guys have been like inside the five.
But no, it's unexplainable.
I mean, literally I did not think he was going to make it through the season with the injury.
Now this is the youngest and freshest and best.
I mean, even last night on the broadcast, Chris Collinsworth is saying like,
oh, you see this guy.
He's like chiseled.
He's got abs.
You know, we've been seeing him for years.
All this, all whatever he's doing is working.
Yeah, it's working.
He looks amazing.
Okay.
So, first of all, I may be a little high on my supply with Caleb, but I look at Shadur, and I'm like, it's like a holiday fling.
You hang out for six weeks, and then eventually Cleveland's going to draft a quarterback and have a 30-year marriage with.
It's fun.
I enjoyed watching it.
I don't think he has great size or athletic ability or a huge arm.
But there is a looseness to him.
Like, he's not intimidated by it.
His confidence doesn't ever flow.
He's like, hey, I was born for this.
Let's go play.
That is something.
I mean, he's like, you know, it could have easily, I never, he's never tight.
He makes mistakes.
I don't love all his judgment.
He's never tight.
And I see quarterbacks like one in Minnesota that I feel like he's lost his confidence.
I don't know.
I just, I watched it and I had a good time.
Should I take anything more?
That was my take.
That was fun watch.
Where did it land for you?
I mean, he's got an hit factor.
There's no doubt about it.
You know, much like Caleb, he's got an hit factor.
He's a, he's a highlight real type.
guy. I mean, Cleveland's a team that's starving for great quarterback play. They really are. They're
looking for someone to step up and take the job. And it doesn't matter if this is a team that's
really led by the defense and the crazy, unbelievable year that Miles Garrett is having. They're
looking for someone on offense to believe in. And I think he gives them that. At the same time,
if you watch the entire game, like you're showing now his first touchdown pass, I mean,
it's a swing pass. That the great perimeter blocking and a great run by the running back.
you should never apologize for those as a quarterback because it evens out.
But at the same time, like, let's pump the brakes a little bit on saying like,
hey, this is absolutely the guy.
I would say this, Tushador, take advantage of your opportunity.
That's exactly what it is.
And I would lose the excuses that you're already making.
Like, oh, I haven't had a full off season as a starter.
I've only had one week to prepare as the starter.
Dude, get rid of that, man.
Just get rid of that.
Just go out and ball and play and do it.
she did yesterday and as your team's winning games you're developing as a young quarterback that's
what you should do and and he did for the most part but uh i would agree it's a lot of fun to watch
i'm rooting for him but um i just i'm i guess i'm a little bit cautious too just like you are
i have not ordered a gold jacket for Caleb i've measured him for it yes you have and you did
that when he was in college actually so i think you're just still hedging your bet because hey man i
I already said it in college, so I just, I'll just keep it rolling.
Just keep rolling.
Great seeing you.
And happy Thanksgiving to your amazing family.
Great.
Great football on Thanksgiving and on Friday, so looking forward to that.
Matt Hasselbeck has been so good for us.
I love having him on the show.
It was, yeah, I mean, the Shador thing, I just, it reminds me a little bit of the Tebow
stuff.
I'll talk about that later.
But the difference is, I think Shador, I mean, if Gino can start, Shadur can start.
You know, I, it's fine.
But it's fun.
like if you're a bad team
at least be fun to watch
like Cleveland was fun yesterday
Colin don't you think that
essentially the Browns don't know who their quarterback is next year
so just play Shador
start him against the Niners
find out what you got you saw Dylan Gabriel
he looks like a solid backup in the NFL
he could be Chase Daniel
that's in the league for 10 years comes in occasionally
I don't know if Shadoor's the guy
I don't think he is but I think
we got to find out right
Stephansky out here saying well we don't know who the
quarterback is next week. I don't think that's
great messaging, because I will say this, and Haslbeck
hit it, the team really likes Shador.
Yes. You see the sideline celebrations?
For like completions.
So I think you've got to start him against him.
I think there's
a likeability to him. He is.
He's so casual.
You know, like Peyton Manning was a teeth
clencher. He was really intense.
Which is great. That's why Peyton was great.
He was so committed. I mean,
Shadour is the opposite. He's
like, eh, I'm built for this.
And, you know, I found it 2 and 8 versus 2 and 8, and I couldn't take my eyes off.
Let's see if he's built for a Robert Sala defense.
By the way, they can get no pressure on quarterbacks.
That's right.
So he could have a clean pocket to operate.
I already took Cleveland next week.
Oh, they are at home, and the line is coming down a bit.
That was my second favorite bet of the week with Shedua at home against the Niners.
It's going to be cloudy, so you know Brock Purdy won't be great.

Hey, it's us, the Jonas Brothers, and guess what?
We have some big news.
What's the news, name?
Huge news.
We created our own podcast called, Hey Jonas.
We invented a podcast?
Well, we didn't invent it.
We just contributed to it.
We're the first people to do podcasts.
Pretty, yeah, pretty wide range of podcasts throughout there.
But this one's extra special.
So how do we actually come up?
of the name Hey Jonas, guys.
I honestly don't remember.
I think it was on a call about what we should call it.
Well, we were thinking I'm originally calling it one of the early names of our band before
Jonas Brothers.
This is how you guys remember it going down?
Yes.
I have a very different memory of this.
We were talking about a thing, a bit for the podcast, for people to call in and say,
Hey, Jonas.
And then I wrote down on my little notepad, Hey Jonas, Jonas, and offered it up as a potential
title for the podcast.
But thanks for remembering that, guys.

City and Dallas. Friday, Bears and Eve.
Eagles. I mean, this weekend, we got a great Sunday and it didn't look good on paper. Thanksgiving
on, I mean, let's be honest, some of these games are going to get 35, 40 million people, maybe 50.
These numbers are going to be absolutely insane. Can't wait. Jay Mack with the news.
No, no, no, no, turn on the news. This is the herd line news.
Speaking of insane numbers, Jackson Smith Najigba, Colin, this guy is putting on a
clinic in Seattle. He has now set the record for Seattle Seahawks receiving yards in a season,
and he's still only 12 games in. I mean, what a performance. I mean, he torched the Titans. Everybody
knew that was going to happen. Listen, JSN is on another level right now. I think we've established
he's having the best season of any receiver in the league right now. He's unguardable. The Titans,
by the way, tried to match him up with a safety on some deep routes. Like, what are we doing?
Anyway, here's JSN talking about absolutely frying this season.
It means a lot, you know, this organization, great organization, and great receivers have, you know, came through here.
So, honestly, I look at it as a team award, honestly, because, you know, without Sam and without the protection, without Sheed and Coop, you know, this doesn't happen.
And, you know, so I'm grateful. I'm thankful, blessed for my team.
Bless be a Seahawk.
I mean, how likable is that?
I mean, how can you not love that guy?
Wow, I did not know that was his style.
I had to only see the video.
Now, did you know that?
So I had to look him up.
Based on the outfit, where do you think he's from?
Texas.
Yes, Texas.
Now, Nacadocious is the name of the town.
And I'm like, I know that.
Clint Dempsey, the former soccer star, USA soccer star, is from Nacadocious.
Listen, I don't know how he ended up at Ohio State from Texas.
How does he get out of the state?
But this guy looks like such a fine color.
look at the numbers. Well, what it tells you is when they let go of D.K. Metcalf, everybody
knew. They knew. They get the practice stuff. We don't. Again, Ohio State, when I grew up,
was a linebacker factory. Ohio State is, I don't think I've ever seen a university that delivers,
and they've got them lined up for years to come that delivers, give Ohio State credit.
They're current. They're not living in linebacker you. They are delivering. These kids that come out
are just sensational. I grew up,
with Steve Larson, who I thought is the most underrated professional athlete I ever saw.
The fact that he's going to end up with potentially 2,100 yards in a season.
Now, it is more of a passing league, but I, and the other thing that helps him,
the Seahawks upgraded their old line, so Darnold has more time.
And Darnold loves to throw the ball deep.
Sam loves to show his arm off, so he is just a remarkable.
The route tree, the hands, the deep threat.
But he is a complete and total five-tool receiver.
He does everything well.
I mean, now I know Ohio State University has a pretty big game this week, I think, right, against Michigan.
I got a buddy who went to Ohio State.
He swears that their wide receiver, one of their wide receivers, not Jermaine Smith, is dinged up.
Tate.
Tate is digged up.
So he's a little concerned about the game.
Basically, if you're coming out of Ohio State, you've got to draft the guy high, right?
Just based on the history.
Ohio State between the linebacker, the corner.
The edge rusher is nasty.
The edge rusher.
They got a linebacker.
Ohio State probably has five of the top 24, 23 players in the draft.
So this Ohio State team, I'll just say it.
They're not losing to Michigan.
You sure?
They are not losing to Michigan and they're going to be in a bad mood.
And if they can rub it in, they will.
30-13 Buckeyes.
Okay.
Well, it's Monday.
Come on, pace yourself, bro.
Geez.
All right, let's go to the next story.
And that is, oh, this is not pretty.
Obviously, the Raiders, they're down bad right now.
Well, remember former Raiders head coach Antonio Pierce?
He was very complimentary of Chador Sanders ahead of his first start.
And AP was coaching the Raiders last year.
Listen to what Pierce said about Shadur Sanders.
He was one of our top choices.
If I would stay there, there's no way he goes to the fifth round.
I'm making that choice and a decision that we're drafting.
Mark Davis was on board with that.
Our organization was on board.
We believed in what we saw with Shador.
It saw enough.
Obviously, the situation I dealt with the quarterbacks.
But one thing about Shador, I think we see all the glitz, the glamour, you know, hitting the watch and what time it is and all that is.
He's born for this.
He is, his pedigree is that for moments of this magnitude.
Yeah, I will say this.
his size is fine, his arm is fine, his movement's fine, there's no reason why he can't start in the NFL.
Do I think he is upper crusts?
No, but the bottom line is he's not small, he moves good enough, he's got a good enough arm, he is accurate even when he moves.
There's, I mean, again, it's early, but I think he has enough traits.
I mean, Dylan Gabriel's too small to be a starting quarterback.
I mean, Kyler Marie's too inconsistent.
Trevor Lawrence throws too many bad picks.
Chador's got something.
There's something in the makeup of his personality that he doesn't get...
All right.
Okay.
Let's pump the brakes a little.
I know it.
You're excited.
It's Thanksgiving week.
Oh, time out.
Look at this.
Yeah, look at the swing pass.
The Browns are naming Chedur-Sanders as their starting quarterback, according to Shephti.
Yeah, obviously.
We called that last hour.
He has to start against San Frayne,
or you'll lose the locker room,
and they'll run off Stefanski.
I do want to say this.
So let's do the grade.
I did this on my podcast.
I would grade Chedure.
I'm not comparing him to anybody.
Just what I saw yesterday.
I gave him a B, you know, in the A to F scale.
Okay, A would have been like 300 yards,
I thought he was a good solid B.
Right.
So, I mean, people going overboard, he's the man.
He could be a starter.
We need to see way more.
than this, Colin. Okay? Like to
throw on the run to bond the deep one,
that was like, okay. But the Jerry
Judy stuff was wide open. Come on. Let's...
Hey, my second best bet
of the weekend is Cleveland plus the points.
And I don't love Shadur,
but I think... You're taking a rookie quarterback against
Robert Sala's defense.
Yeah, Brock Purdy and it's
cloudy. I'll take the Browns.
Okay.
Purdy. Purdy's gonna... Purdy
and company, they're hearing all this noise from you.
Okay? They know that you're not a fan.
of Brock.
He's fine.
Yeah.
Okay.
Final story, Collins, go to college football.
Saturday was not great.
I was at a volleyball tournament all day.
But apparently USC fought hard against Oregon.
Sorry, Oregon.
Oregon did get the cover.
Nicely done.
Afterward, Dan Lannning,
and was probably the highlight of the college football weekend,
took a couple jabs at other conferences.
SEC, sorry, taking their week off and playing jokers.
This conference is really really.
good conference. It's competitive. We didn't play
Chattanooga State today, right? Like some other
places, right? We competed.
So, you know,
that being said, it's tough playing nine conference
games. It's tough playing in this league.
And we got to take advantage playing a
good team today and attacking that.
Listen, Oregon was missing
its top three receivers, did not play
a clean game. That was a really
choppy game, and they
dominated. Sorry,
I mean, Oregon moved up.
The best team in the country is
Ohio State. After that, honestly, I'm like in a Oklahoma, Georgia, Oregon. A&M's overrated. I think
A&M's overrated. I think Oregon's the fourth or fifth. I think Oregon can play with anybody
except Ohio State. Yeah, there's probably six or seven teams in the mix after Ohio State.
I do want to say about Dan Lennie. The more I hear from this guy, you know, we're talking about
it's a weak coaching prospect if you're an NFL team. Honestly, I'm going, I'm going Marcus Freeman
and Dan Lannning, I'm at least putting in a call.
They're not leaving, I know, but I think
those guys from the sound, the vibes,
everything about them. I don't understand.
Why would you leave Oregon?
Well, we'll see. I don't know what he's like.
Get him on the show. Let's ask him what his like.
I've had him on the show.
Why would you leave Oregon?
What is his, what if his wife is kind of over the
Northwest and wants to, sorry, the, yeah, Northwest,
and wants to go somewhere else?
What if they want to, her family's from, we don't know what.
Why would you want to leave Los Angeles?
Hey, honey.
12 and a half million a year.
Is it okay if we stay here?
I think the answer is yes.
That's just me.
That's crazy me.
Well, I mean, Ole Miss is probably backing up 12.5 million from Lee Kippen.
Phil Knight, Obama, a $3 million home in Bend, Oregon on the river, take care of his family, private jets and recruiting.
There's no reason to leave Oregon.
I think the billionaires in the NFL, I think those billionaires have private jets as well.
I'm not sure, though.
And they're all crazy.
Phil Knight's not crazy.
That's a fair point.
Very fair point.
Yeah, Phil's not crazy.
30% of the NFL owners are crazy.
The other 70% are a bad loss away from being crazy.
So, would you agree, though, if you are giants, you've got to at least call Dan Lending and Marcus Friedman.
They'll say no, but I want to at least find out what they're about.
Because those guys are better than any NFL assistants that I'm seeing out there right now.
Yeah, J-Mack with the news.
Well, that's the news.
And thanks for stopping by.
The Hurd-Lie News.
I mean, don't try to get happier than happy.
Dan Lanning's winning games.
They can win a national championship.
This race to be happier than happy.
Well, what about Lane Kiffin?
Oregon's a way better job than Ole Miss.
Oregon's the best job in the West Coast.
Well, what about Los Angeles?
I mean, it's, I don't know.
I've watched the last 10 years.
They keep running out of coaches.
Lane Kiffin had an easier time winning at Old Miss than USC.
All I know is Oregon's the best job in the West Coast.
And it has been for it.
So, and, well, Phil Knight's money.
Well, that's the world we live in.
Phil Knight's vision, the facilities, the fans, it's the loudest West Coast Stadium.
Leave it.
Yeah, I mean, yeah, if Andy Reid retired, ring, ring, it's the Hunt family.
We got this quarterback name of Holmes.
Would you like to coach us?
Okay, I'll go then.
Colin, I just looked it up.
You're right.
Dan Lanning is from Kansas City, Missouri.
Yeah.
Went to college in Missouri.
Yes.
You take that job.
That's the job.
Yeah.
Get that one I'd take.
Coach Mahomes.
I'm not going, oh, I go down to Auburn.
What?
But stop it.
It's the herd.
Be sure to catch live editions of the herd weekdays in noon eastern, 9 a.m. Pacific on Fox Sports Radio, FS1, and the IHard Radio app.
Hey, it's us, the Jonas brothers. And guess what? We have some big news.
What's the news, huge news?
We created our own podcast called, Hey, Jonas.
We invented a podcast?
Well, we didn't invent it. We just contributed.
The first people to do podcasts.
Pretty, yeah, pretty wide range of podcasts.
We're starting a trend.
But this one's extra special.
So how do we actually come up with a name, Hey Jonas, guys?
I honestly don't remember.
I think it was on a call about what we should call it.
Oh, we were thinking I'm originally calling it one of the early names of our band.
Before Jonas Brothers was...
This is how you guys remember it going down?
Yes.
I have a very different memory of this.
We were talking about a thing, a bit for the podcast.
for people could call in and say, hey Jonas, and then I wrote down on my little notepad,
Hey Jonas, and offered it up as a potential title for the podcast.
But thanks for remembering that, guys.

The greatest rivalry in sports is here.
Top rank defending national champion Ohio State.
Heads to the big house looking to snap Michigan's four-game win streak in the game.
It all starts at 9 a.m. with a special three-hour big noon kickoff live from Ann Arbor.
Then it's Michigan, Ohio State at noon, only on Fox.
And listen, I know it's been a nice run for Michigan.
that ends this weekend.
Like Ohio State,
I mean, I'm looking at this too deep.
Arvel Reese, Caleb Downs,
Tate at wide receiver,
they have an absolute identity.
The quarterback doesn't make mistakes.
I mean, Underwood is a remarkable
freshman quarterback for Michigan,
and he'll make some plays with his feet.
I like Marsh on the perimeter.
I actually like Michigan receivers
more than I have in the last several years.
Ohio State's got an identity.
They got a chip on their shoulder.
They're ticked up.
off from last year,
Route Ohio State.
So, you know,
I think the pregame show may end up being better than the game.
That's all I'm saying.
And I think this Ohio State team,
and, you know, Ohio State doesn't like me.
They think I'm negative,
because I would hire Connor Stallions today.
I think he's ingenious.
With all that iPhone scouting stuff is brilliant.
But this Ohio State team defensively,
dudes everywhere. NFL windows.
Like, and they
they are just, that defense,
that's one of the best defenses I've seen.
That defense doesn't let you breathe.
So I, and that one thing that travels is not offense.
I've seen great offenses go on the road.
When Saving was at Bama, that defense traveled.
Bama go on the road and beat like a narc in a bankers rally,
babe.
Okay, they would just roll over you because that's when Bama ran.
the ball and Bama plate defense.
I see offenses go on the road and shrivel up.
That Ohio State defense is a handful, and I mean, they just play with an intensity and an
awareness.
They're incredibly coached.
And Michigan's got a freshman quarterback.
Colin, and Michigan staffer wants me to remind you last year, Ohio State was ranked
second playing at home and lost to Michigan.
And had lost to Oregon earlier.
Ohio State's running the table.
This is just me conveying information.
No, or whatever.
Okay, here's the earth thing.
So you've got to be careful about this.
Don't, when any time you're judging a quarterback in college to the NFL,
one of the reasons I like Mendoza at Indiana is because he doesn't have the best old line.
He is caring good players.
Okay.
So when I watched Mahomes in college or Josh Allen or Big Ben,
or Aaron Rogers at Cal.
They were carrying average personnel.
Okay.
If you're just managing a great team like J.J. McCarthy at Michigan, he was managing the team.
They played Penn State on the road.
He didn't throw a pass in the second half.
So don't expect him to be what he wasn't in college.
I've always said, don't you think it's weird?
Shouldn't all Ohio State, Alabama, Oklahoma quarterbacks crush.
They're five-star.
They go to college.
linear. No, it's not. Look at all these quarterbacks that are great in the NFL.
Aaron Rogers, Cal, Philip Rivers, NC State, Big Ben, Miami of Ohio.
You ever notice this? Why are all Texas quarterbacks great? Because that's not a real life.
Vince Young was surrounded by five-star quarterbacks. Matt Leinert, five-star left tackles, five-star
running backs. If you look at the college quarterbacks that overwhelmingly crush in the NFL,
go back the last 50 years.
John Elway.
Stanford was no good.
He had to carry him.
John Elway had to carry
Andrew Locke.
He wasn't surrounded by
five-star guys at Stanford.
You start looking around.
I mean, Daniel Jones, say what you want.
Duke.
Okay?
So, I mean, J.J. McCarthy
managed a loaded stack team
with Jim Harbaugh.
That's not the NFL.
Now you're asking him,
hey, step up to the plate, throw it 30 times.
You're not built for it.
That's not what he.
he is. That's why I said, I've never seen it. Now, you can say, well, Joe Burrow, his junior
year, remember he transferred from the Buckeyes, his junior year, and then he developed by his
last year. But I would say, I love Ed Orgeron, but Ed's not viewed as a schematic guru. He
did have to do some carry-in. That coaching staff was in trouble if Joe Burrow didn't win.
And Joe Burroughs' schedule was unbelievable. That's the hardest. That's the best team I've ever
seen. I mean, every game was big in the
SEC. SEC was dominating college football
and Burrell was just carrying
them to late game wins.
So, I mean, 2023
Michigan
faced Penn State. They ran the ball
32 straight times.
JJ McCarthy,
I'm not crushing the kid. He threw eight times.
So just don't expect people
if they have a certain college
life to go into the real
world in the NFL
and then demand they be something they've never proven to be.
He was a great manager of a stacked offense.
He was terrific.
That was a great team.
Deserved the Natty.
I rooted for him.
It was a great story.
But the NFL is a different ball game.
Everybody said, oh, Ty Simpson.
They got four seconds to throw.
He's got five-star wide receivers.
You know, NFL is, can you throw in a pocket that's about as broad as my shoulders?
I mean, Tom Brady, go look at many of Tom Brady's great throws in the biggest spots against New York Giants, teams, and Super Bowls.
You got a little tiny pocket.
1001, 1002, get it out.
I mean, that's the NFL.
1001, 1002, got to be out.
And in the NFL, the difference between 2.4 seconds and 2.8 is a touchdown and getting your bell wrong.
So, you know, wait, wait, wait.
And there's a story today, J.J. McCarthy in Concussion Protocol, I root for the kid.
he's been banged up a lot, he's lost confidence.
Nobody roots against kids.
But I said this, I said this to, you know, when Tim Tebow came out,
Tim Tebow would take a snap, Spurrier's, Urban Myers, the coach.
He had like three NFL wide receivers, lollipop throw down the sideline, all day to throw.
Bro, that ain't the NFL.
The NFL is what Shadur went through at Colorado.
Shadur was running for his life.
Shadour knows what it's like to play with a battle line, you're trailing, you have to throw 45.
Give Shadour credit.
His Colorado life, that's much closer to playing for a bad NFL team.
He's been running for his life for years.
Hey, guys, it's us.
