This is an I-Heart podcast.
Guaranteed Human.
Another podcast from some SNL, late-night comedy guy, not quite.
Unhumor me with Robert Smygel and friends.
Me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman
help make you funnier.
This week, my guest, SNL's Mikey Day and head writer, Streeter Seidel,
help an a cappella band with their between songs banter.
Where does your group perform?
We do some retirement homes.
Those people are starving for banter.
Listen to humor me with Robert Smigel
and friends on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Imagine an Olympics where doping is not only legal, but encouraged. It's the enhanced games.
Some call it grotesque. Others say it's unleashing human potential. Either way, the podcast's
superhuman documented it all, embedded in the games and with the athletes for a full year.
Within probably 10 days, I'd put on 10 pounds. I was having trouble stopping the muscle growth.
Listen to Superhuman on the IHard Radio app,
Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
A win is a win.

All right, Covino and Rich.
Good morning.
Good day.
I said good day.
What is going on, everybody?
Seeing our show in for calling on the herd.
You heard?
You heard.
Everything at Covino and Rich.
Oh, I'm reading all the feedback.
By the way, mostly good stuff.
I mean, why is so surprised?
Twitter's been kind this morning.
Well, no, it's not Twitter's X.
I'm like, X.
X.
I'm being serious.
I'm being serious.
Do you have to say X now?
Don't we still call Twitter, though?
Ryan, what's your take?
Still Twitter?
I'm all Twitter.
I can't.
It's too weird to be like, oh, did you see this breaking news on X?
Like, what?
Is Colin and Dan and other people on the network?
Are they saying X?
No.
The Herd's logo.
He's got the X on his logo.
The herd.
X.
Oh, he was ahead of the trend.
Ex-Mars to Spark.
Ongoing litigation with Elon himself.
Hey, you can hit us up on X, on Twitter, whatever you, who cares.
At Covino and Rich, C-O-V-I-N-O and Rich.
And, of course, Spot Center at Spot Center.
He's got our videos.
Ryan's hanging out with us.
Danny G.
Danny G. Radio.
Thanks again for checking out our show.
And our new podcast called Overpromised, our bonus after show, which you could check out.
And you could watch as well on the Fox Sports Radio YouTube page.
Thank you again for having us today.
will be back tomorrow.
Whether you like it or not.
Whether you like it or not.
By the way, I am reading the feedbacks on X, Twitter.
So, hey, good stuff, bad stuff.
We'd love to hear from all of you at Covino and Rich.
Like you said, in for Colin.
If we don't have bad stuff, then we're not doing a good job.
That is true.
Do you enjoy, I'm enjoying Collins' vacation, like, selfie walking videos?
Does he have a selfie stick?
No.
No.
I don't know.
I don't think he has this.
Selfie stick?
I'm going to say no.
Well, our number, Fox Sports Radio Nation.
He gave a nice little talk the other day about how cut day is a rough day in the NFL.
It is when you think about it.
Like we were saying the other day, how cut day in the NFL could mean the difference of hundreds of thousands of dollars for a guy.
And I'm not trying to be rude saying this or like delivering Uber Eats.
It is like drastic.
Like did you make the team?
Wow, league minimum.
Did you not make the team?
You might honestly be delivering food or something.
It's really rough.
It's a rough day.
It's a rough day.
It's a rough day.
But there's always hope, right?
There's always hope.
818907.
That's our number.
818907-0062.
It's a different phone line today because we're in a different studio.
But if you want to call and chime in, by all means, please do, with the most interactive show on radio, according to me.
And according to my girlfriend who says, you're on your phone all the time.
I'm like, I'm fighting with listeners.
They said I suck.
818-907-0-0-0-0-0-0.
6-2 or at Covino and Rich.
Now, Bob Barker passed away.
It was a bit of a mind-f and Mandela effect sort of for some people.
Some people thought he was dead already because there had been articles years ago that he passed away.
Now, him and Betty White, both 99.
That's the, you know, making it to 100.
That would kill your OCD, huh?
Yeah, came so close.
But, hey, great life, did a lot for pets.
In fact, the side story is that he's donated.
his entire estate.
It's like 40 different charities.
A pet-related charities.
What a guy.
Very nice.
Right?
Bob Barker.
Pet-related and military-related.
Oh, wow.
Like, how cool is that?
Let's not let that go understated.
That's pretty sweet.
So Bob Barker, cool dude.
There are some relatives that are like, what?
I know, right?
He epitomized.
I was always so nice to Uncle Bob.
Epitomized game show hosts with that skinny little microphone.
and as I was about to say before,
I was sort of surprised that everyone shared
in that same memory of anytime you call that
a school, that was your chance to watch
some Plinko. That was your chance to watch
to showcase showdown.
Anytime I cut school, that was
the only fun of it. And by the time,
I don't know, trash TV kicked in.
Jenny Jones or Ricky Legg or
Jerry Springer, I started feeling
guilty. Like, oh man, I should have probably
went to school. I could have probably went to school.
They just got a new set, by the way. Did you go?
Have you ever seen the prices where I taped?
it's an experience.
I went with the later years
of Drew Carey,
but it's still sort of fun
to be there.
And you're like,
oh, here it is.
Look at contestants roll.
It's sort of fun.
So if you ever get a chance to do it,
hey,
why not?
Even though it's not Bob Barker anymore.
Now, Bob Barker,
the other update,
aside from living an amazing life
and again,
leaving his estate to the charities and everything,
the story came out from his camp,
his agents,
his people's friends that in his final days,
he watched.
he watched one of your favorite shows, Rich, two and a half men.
I liked it back in the day, not one of my favorites.
He used to talk about it a lot.
Well, it was part of that.
Maybe not one of your favorites, but you used to talk about that show a lot.
Well, it was like the number one show in the country, and then remember they replaced
Charlie Sheen with Ashton Coocher.
Winning.
Can I bring that back yet?
Tiger Blood!
Winning.
We got to bring that back.
It's been long enough.
So in his final days.
Yeah, two and a half men.
Bob Barker binge.
Men, men, men, men, men, men, men, men, men, men, men, men.
Yeah, Rich.
Men, men, men, men, men, men, men, men.
So, that was his final days, right?
I wish I could hit that note.
I know.
You know, I should have kept it going just to see if Rich could.
I know.
Maybe another day.
But when you think about it, put it in perspective, that means in his final days,
Bob Barker still kept his humor alive.
the spirits up
and that was his choice to watch some of that
cool story nice way to look at it
but it got us thinking on a throwback Thursday
old school when 50 hits
if you could pick one show
maybe it's a maybe it's a sports show
maybe it's old school reruns of the baseball bunch
maybe you're a big Johnny Bench guy
maybe you love this week in baseball
how about that
how about that?
Maybe you want it doesn't need to be sports
if I said pick a show
can be any show but here's the catch
It has to be prior to the 21st century.
It has to be 70s, 80s, 90s.
If I said, hey, you're an old guy.
You're 90-something.
You know, you got very limited time to live.
What are you going to, you know, you're sitting in your lounge chair, you're rocking, you know, your old comforter.
Lazy boy.
Lazy boy.
Grandpa's fall sleeping lazy boys.
You get to a certain age, I think you permanently sleep in them.
Yeah.
Does every guy when they're like, they hit a certain age, I don't sleep at a bit.
bed anymore. Just sleep in a...
My dad's at that stage.
My dad's bed is the couch.
Not because he's got enough fight with your mom.
No.
He just said, yeah, I'm staying here.
Either that or spend a long fight.
You wake up, remember you visit your parents.
You wake up at 3 in the morning.
TV's still on, your dad's sleeping on the recliner.
It's tidy white.
He's just sleeping there.
So, based on the whole Bob Barker thing,
old school and 50 hits reminiscing on a Thursday,
what would be your show?
It has to be old school.
And it's all subjective, and I get it.
Everyone has their own thing.
but I thought about it
and I had my good reasons as to why I picked
what I picked.
And I guess I'll kick it off, right?
We'll go around the room, Ryan, Danny G. Spot.
And your phone calls again at 818-1907-0-0-062.
You don't have to make it morbid like these are your final days.
Let's just say it's a long hospital visit.
No, it's your final days.
Not your final days.
What's your final meal?
What are you going to watch?
You know, for a long time now, I've been saying to myself,
it's been a minute.
I wonder if it's still holding.
holds up.
That's been on my mind for so long that if it were my final days, I think I'd have to
be like, I want to see if it still holds up.
You're taking a chance in your final days.
I am taking a chance.
But I also believe, and I've heard that it still holds up.
Camino's going to watch Perfect Strangers with Belke and be very disappointed.
Absolutely not.
That was a trash TV show.
He might as well throw that in the same category as Alf, another trash TV show that you always
talk about.
You're not going to waste your final days watching trash.
But it was a classic.
It was a trendsetter.
It changed TV history.
It did.
But I haven't watched it since the very early 2000s.
And it falls into this conversation because it debuted in 1999, I believe.
And I'm talking The Sopranos.
That's a terrible answer.
How's that a terrible answer?
Six seasons?
Not my only.
I have two answers.
You're going to watch a gang series when you're on your deathbed?
Yeah.
Why?
What's wrong with that?
Polly Walnuts is funny as hell.
There's comedy.
Honestly?
First of all, subjective.
So shut your.
your mouth, shut that pile hole of yours.
You know, I can't wait to hear your stupid
answer now. Supranos was a great show.
It changed Sunday nights.
How are you going to top that anyway?
How can you say that's a bad answer? Bada Bing!
I'm going to be there watching
Johnny Cakes. Yeah.
Johnny Cakes.
Danny G. Do you have an answer?
Ryan, I'm not even done.
Oh, you're not done?
What are you going to watch the wire next?
I thought about it, you Goonberger, because
it's only six seasons. But for a long
time now, I'm like, did it, were we just prisoners of the moment, as Danny G.
likes to say, was it really that good?
Oh, are you going to die in the last episode when the, you know, when your TV went black
at the end of the Sopranos?
Don't stop.
And you're like, oh.
And that's what you're like, hey, I like the ending of that.
I remember I liked it.
But Danny G, there's a part of me that's been wondering for like a good five years now.
Were we just prisoners of the moment?
It was fun at the time.
I'm a Jersey kid, so everyone in Jersey thought they were eating gabagoo every day.
Oh, Doni's a bride.
You I see the Sopranos?
Oh, oh, oh.
So it was a big part of my life back then, but is it still good today?
That's how you know if a show's really good.
Does it stand the test of time?
I would watch that six seasons.
But because it's only six seasons,
I'm going old school even further to bring the laughs.
Rich wearing his judgy pants.
It's not all about Bada Bing and gangsters and murders.
I want to watch some old school three's company because I always love that show
and I still think it holds the test of time
and I think it's funny.
I'm big John Ritter guy
and maybe John Ritter will be there
welcoming me at the Pearly Gates
with his physical comedy.
It'll all be a big misunderstanding
when you die.
Oh yeah, right?
So I'm mixing a little serious...
I'm going gangster comedy,
bam!
And then hopefully I die
with a good laugh from Mr. Furley.
I'm going
the greatest
high school athlete
of all time.
Four touchdowns in one game, pig.
I'm laughing my ass off with some old school, married with children.
It's got a little bit of, you know, dirty humor, some comedy.
Ed O'Neill.
Tie it back to sports.
He was a great football player.
I did.
Four touchdowns, man.
And a great bowler.
I'm going married with children.
Hey, that's a good answer.
And then if they went cheesy, just did.
And how many seasons did they have?
So you have some good watch.
I also think, like,
there might be like a cheesy one I throw in.
I get a good laugh at a street rapper Grand Master B.
Yeah, you know what?
I think for the sentimental, you know, things you watch are holding.
By the way, Bud Bundy a Raiders fan?
A little saved by the bell.
Was Bud Bundy a Raiders fan?
He just wore the starter jacket like most kids.
No, I could picture him wearing like a, I feel like I could picture him wearing
Raiders gear.
And saved by the bell, he said.
So you're going to make fun of me for saying the Sopranos,
which goes down in history is one of the most impactful shows that change Sunday nights
in television.
And you're saying saved by the bell.
Sort of like comfort food.
So what?
You're in your dying moments.
You're sitting here all pompous like your answer was the best and mine is the worst.
You think you're so bady good and I'm so bad.
Get out of here with that answer to Mario Lopez.
Danny.
Ryan, what do you guys got?
All right.
So I'm going to go farther back than both of you.
Uh-oh.
My older brother Steve and I, we'd wake up super early every Saturday morning 6 a.m.
in Southern California.
Different strokes.
Reruns were on.
I love different strokes.
Right before.
cartoons came on. A couple of episodes back to back of different strokes, eight seasons.
Wow.
What's you talking about, Covino?
Yo, but Danny G., what happens in a film?
They got nothing but their jeans.
They got nothing but their jeans.
What happens?
By the way, I've always thought Peter Gammons was great on that show as the dad.
That was not Peter Gammons?
That was not Peter Gammons.
Yeah, it was.
I always learned a great life lesson after each episode, too.
I know, but you know what, Danny G, what happens if you passed, unfortunately?
knock on wood, right?
During that weird episode where Dudley gets diddled, remember that Dudley episode?
Dudley got touched at the bunch up?
What if that's terrible?
You'd think, oh, that's a terrible way to go.
I would fast forward to that episode.
Yeah, they always, remember the 80s, they always had those very special episodes.
So I'm not making that up.
That's a true story.
Gather the whole family around.
This is a week you do not want to miss.
Yeah.
And by the way, I think that's a splendid answer.
Oh, Danny G., what would happen, though, if you really started to, you know,
lose oxygen, right when that little pumpkin pie freak Sam was, remember when they joined the show?
Yeah, what if that would suck?
I'm surprised your answer is not American Gladiators, because I knew you love all the nitro and turbo.
I love.
The gladiators ready!
Come on, who didn't love that?
When every great sitcom runs out of steam, they add an adopted kid to the show.
Yeah, you don't want to die when Sam, the red-headed pumpkin pie, haircuted kid in cowboy boots, was there singing a song.
That would be the worst part of the show.
Based on my answer, I have a question, and then I want to hear Ryan's.
If you were to watch Married with Children, do you want the older school Steve episodes,
or do you want the Jefferson years?
That's a good one.
Oh, man.
Because that's sort of like your question, Furley or Roper.
Married with Children is sort of like, do you want Steve or Jefferson?
I like the Jefferson episodes.
Jefferson's been on our show.
He's a good guy.
I'm going Jefferson.
I like Jefferson.
Ryan, what you got, man?
All right.
On that similar note, the TV show that I would probably be.
go with fresh prince
great one
which aunt viv do you want there were two aunt viv
go the first one ogy
and vip so i'd probably go with
fresh prince good feel good show now there were
a couple of emotional episodes
he don't want me yeah exactly so
the timing could be
you know interesting but I think fresh
prince had some good laughs right as they
slap will smith when everyone still loved him
it was all good times right as they
throw jazz at the door that's when Ryan's like
yeah it's just sad
Sort of morbid question we're having fun with based on Bar Barker's choice.
But you always hear about final meals and things like that.
You don't hear about the shows that you tuned into on your final days.
And if you're just joining us on a throwback Thursday, rest in peace, Bob Barker.
I know it's days ago, but it was just revealed that in his final days and hours, he was binging two and a half men.
So those some answers at Covino and Rich.
We'll give you shoutouts.
And you can call it 818-907-0-0-0-0.
And coming up, we are going to talk about Harrison Bader and...
Yeah, I didn't like this story.
Ways people find out about their own career in sports and an update on something that happened with Aaron Rogers during hard knocks.
And we'll talk about some good insults in the world of sports.
So more.
Next, in for Colin on the Herd, Kavino and Rich here on Fox Sports Radio.
Be sure to catch live editions of The Herd weekdays in noon Eastern 9 a.m. Pacific.
on Fox Sports Radio, FS1, and the IHeart Radio app.

Yep, that's me, Clivert Taylor the 4th. You might have seen the skits, the reactions, my journey

Do you remember when Diana Ross double-tap Little Kim's boobs at the VMAs?
Or when Kanye said that George Bush didn't like black people.
I know what you're thinking.
What the hell does George Bush got to do a little Kim?
Well, you can find out on the Look Back at a podcast.
I'm Sam Jek.
And I'm Alex English.
Each episode, we pick a here, unpack what we.
went down and tried to make sense of how we survived it.
Including a recent episode with Mark Lamont Hill, waxing all about crack in the 80s.
To be clear, 84 is big to me, not just because of crack.
I'm down to talk about crack all day, but just so y'all know.
I mean, at this point, this is the second episode where we've discussed crack,
so I'm starting to see that there's a through line.
We also have AIDS on the table right now, so.
Thank you for finishing that sentence.
Yes.
I don't think there's a more important year for black people.
Really? Yeah. For me, it's one of the most important years for black people in American history.
Listen to look back at it on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Yo, CNN, Kavino and Rich. In for Colin on the herd. Colin Calhard, best in the best. It's an honor to fill in for him.
What a guy. We're fans. So like Rich said, it's a pleasure. Shout out to all his listeners. Thanks for putting up with us. We're here to have some fun.
When you hear Kavino and Rich, that just means we're having a super fun time day.
And Thursday's the new Friday, so we're starting the weekend.
It's a pleasure to start it with you.
Remember, please subscribe to our podcast.
Don't listen out for us on Fox Sports Radio.
Just search Kavino and Rich.
And we have a Patreon.
In fact, we're doing that right after the show.
Yeah, so, hey, every day, afternoons here on Fox Sports Radio.
But to your phone calls, we go.
We're talking about Bob Barker.
We know he passed away a couple days ago.
People are saying it's the new thing.
what you got to do in life,
you try to make it to Club 99.
Betty White,
Bob Barker, like,
remember how back in the day
all those superstar musicians
all passed away at 27?
It's like the celebrity goal now.
You want to be in Club 99.
Club 99.
All right.
The number 818-907-0062.
Again, a new number today.
818-907-0062
or hit us up at Covino and Rich.
I said, I want a little mix of gangster
and funny. I want to throw it back to
Sopranos and Thrice Company.
We said,
Saved by the Bell, Rich, you made fun of me. You said
Saved by the Bell. Well, I said that sort of like, you know,
it's feel good. It's like, uh, you know. I wouldn't have said anything
hadn't you made fun of mine. And married
with children. Ryan said
the Fresh Prince of Bel Air. Danny G.
You said different strokes. Was there anything else or just different
strokes? All different strokes.
I mean, the only thing I've ever watched besides sitcoms
in my life is sports.
Oh, so you want to watch the George Michael
Sports Machine?
It would have to be something.
As Aaron Rogers called him, the voice of God,
Leaves Shriver, it would have to be something he's narrating
because I swear to God I'll put HBO Max on in the background.
That dude's voice is so soothing.
Watching old 24-7 podcast movies.
Honestly, Danny, you got me thinking,
and the truth is something I would watch,
if you told me I have one, you know, a week to live.
And we bring this up because Bob Barker with a week to live.
And he knew his final days were near, and he was binging two and a half men.
So if you knew your days were numbered and you were an old guy laying in your bed or on the couch,
what would you watch in your final days?
I know as an original East Coast guy, I'm a big Mets fan.
I'd watch that 86 Mets year in review one last time because I'm sure by the time I'm 99,
they probably still won't have another world series.
Who was given hot foots back then for the Mets?
Roger McDowell.
You want to watch Roger McDowell's Hot Futs?
Brecht bow, funny side of.
I do. I want to see Keith Hernandez's mustache one last time.
Hey, Spont, do you have any answers?
Rest in peace, his perm.
Oh, yeah, you got to go out like champions, 1986 Mets.
Spott, any answer for you?
Golden Girl. Golden girls.
Okay, now, guys, we're going to go to the phones.
Ladies and gentlemen, 818907-0062, but we still have to talk more Aaron Rogers
and more Harrison Bader.
Because I don't like how his whole Yankees Harrison Bader thing went down.
So we'll get to that.
But let's get to your phones.
All right. Travis in Washington State.
You're on with Covino and Rich.
In for Colin on the herd.
What's up, Travis?
Hey, how's going?
What's that, man?
Hey, so if I know I'm dying,
I'm going to have my cake and eat it too.
I'm going quality and quantity with cheers and the Simpsons.
Two classics.
Two classics.
See?
Now you know.
Can you use this as proof?
Like when you're just laying there?
You ever see that clip of, I mean, she passed away.
I mean, she passed away.
The late Kirstie Alley.
She was hosting Saturday Night Live and all the cast members were in the
audience of her monologue and they all came out and sang this song.
You never saw that?
I'm going to say, yeah, just to keep the conversation flowing.
Yeah, yeah, it was great.
Nobody just did.
You ever...
Next call.
You were talking to someone at work and they're like, hey, you know John?
And you're like, no, I don't.
But yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, that's a good one.
He's online, too.
Jonathan and Texas is online too.
You know, Jonathan?
Yeah, what's up, Jonathan?
Hi, you guys doing.
Yeah, I'm on South Padre Island, Texas.
It's absolutely beautiful down here.
But I have two things.
First of all, nobody said absolutely the show that changed history, in my opinion, and that was all in the family.
Definitely changed history.
Boy, the way, Glenn Miller played.
Edith.
And by the way, there's another creepy episode of that show that you might want to avoid in your final days when Edith has a run-in with a predator.
And there's a sad one where she dies, dude.
She dies on that show.
It's so sad.
Yeah, yeah.
You want to skip those.
Thank you, Jonathan.
Let's go to Mark in North Carolina.
You're on with Kavino and Rich.
In for Colin on the herd.
What's up, Mark?
Hey, guys.
You guys are doing a good job, by the way.
Oh, thanks, man.
Thanks, man.
I just, you know, I don't know what the goal here is, but I'm an 80s and 90s kid.
Same.
When we got cable, we turned on TV, and all of a sudden I saw old episodes of I Dream a genie.
I don't know how you could pass that up.
You know, hot chick, you get a lot of fantasy.
I mean, you're on your deathbed.
Well, when I'm 99, is it going to be working?
Well, because, I mean, you can put Baywatch in the mix.
You can put some smut in the mix.
Never know.
But thank you, Mark.
And, yeah, listen, we're excited to fill in for Colin.
Rich was more of a bewitched guy, so, yeah, he's not feeling that.
But thank you again for all of your phone calls.
Danny, watch different strokes.
You watch Webster.
Nah, I was it a Webster guy.
That was a different strokes guy.
Steve in Florida, you're on with CNR in for Colin.
What's up?
Hey, guys, I got two really, really old ones.
First one is laughing
Laffin
The second one is
The Gong show
What if you get a bad episode of the Gong show though
And you end on it
They hit the gong
And Steve dies
Yeah well hey man
Thank you for chiming in
Thank you guys for hanging out with us
We got one more phone call
Yeah we'll do one more for now
Nick in Indiana
CNN and for Colin
What's up
Yeah I'd have to do
The greatest 90s sitcom
Coming of Age story
With Boy Meets World
hanging out with Mr. Feeney and Topanga.
You just want to hang out with Topanga, dude.
You didn't have to bring Mr. Feeney into this.
Yeah, you want to hear a quick story, Nick?
A little story time with CNN.
In for Colin.
Love hanging here.
So, Kavino had a buddy growing up
that swore he went to the Jersey Shore
and hooked up with Topanga.
Yeah, he told everybody.
What's her name in real life again?
Daniel Fischel.
Daniel Fischel.
And he's adamant about it.
Oh, yeah.
It was his claim to fame.
I was at the Jersey Shore and I hooked up with Topanga.
Everyone believes this guy.
We had Danielle Fischel on our show.
And after the interview was over,
Kavino's like, I gotta know.
I gotta know just because there's some guy in my hometown
that swears he dated you or hooked up with you.
And she was very adamant that if it were true, she would know.
She's like, I would know.
She's like, I will tell you if it's true.
Kavino shows a picture.
and she's like, I've never seen that guy in my life.
He's like, no way.
Impossible.
Wasn't her type.
Never happened.
So that kid, reputation ruined.
So there you go.
Bob Barker in his final days, two and a half men.
Thanks for all the feedback at Covino and Rich on Twitter.
Honestly, a lot of great feedback.
Collins' audience, very interactive.
I like the guy I said the gong show, too.
That's pretty cool.
We also had Chuck Barrett.
You know Chuck Barrett was a sniper?
He really was.
We had him on the show years ago.
Now, let me read a couple.
on the tweets
and then we'll get to some herd line news.
Sean hit us up and said double nostalgia.
You watched The Wonder Years. It's like watching
it's like double nostalgia.
Mark, who's a big Broncos fan,
he said he would watch every Super Bowl in a row.
That is cool too.
I feel like back in the 90s
they had done, and NFL films
does a great job of this, but there was a special
where it was every Super Bowl recap back to back
and I would watch. I've had that on VHS.
I would watch that crap all the time.
Family Matters with a little Steve
Urkel? I don't know about that one.
Gotta need cheese. Mandarin Gobi said
Moonlighting. We're the big Bruce Willis fan, I guess.
Maybe it's like the intro song.
A lot of people.
Ray said Seifeld, Rockabilly said
A-Team and some Night Rider and some
old school 80 stuff. So there you go.
Thank you for chiming in. This guy says he hates us.
I hate it. Guess what? I'll stop there. Tell him. I hate him back
and I appreciate it. No, there's one guy.
I'll just give one, one hateful tweet
and then we'll get to the herd line news. This guy
made sure to let us know
he hates us
and he tweeted
at Covino and Rich
and at Riching Covino
just to make sure
he got it.
Just to make sure
I wrote back and go
thank you
I'm so good
he just so badly
wanted to make sure
we know
he hates us
but tell him I hate him too
I can the next time
leave off the rich
and Covino
okay
now Aaron Rogers again
is in the news
there's a follow up
to what could be
the greatest insult
ever
We'll explain, but let's get into it.
No, no, no, no.
Turn on the news.
This is the herd line news.
Poor Rich and Kavino's probably looking at the tweet.
What is this?
There's another duo somewhere out there.
Rich and Kavino.
In a parallel universe, they're wondering, what the hell?
What did I do?
I didn't do nothing, man.
I'm just having my coffee, just trying to go to lunch?
What the heck's this about?
All right, let's turn our attention to the NFL here.
the Washington commanders have a new owner,
so we'll call that good news, some unfortunate bad news.
Their stud, Young, defensive end, Chase Young,
continuing to struggle with injuries.
Now, according to the athletic, his week one status could be in doubt
due to a lingering stinger he suffered earlier in the preseason.
So now, who Young also had knee injuries, missed some time
after a promising defensive rookie of the year season,
might not be healthy for their week one opener in Washington.
You know what else was lingering?
The handshake, the owner, tried to give Joe Buck.
Troy Akeman laughing his ass off.
By the way, that is sad news about Chase Young,
because when playing, he's top tier, man.
Like, unstoppable.
You know, dare I say, you know, like Bosa level.
He, it's, you know, when you see these guys,
sometimes these injuries just pile up.
And, you know, as NFL players have told us and Colin and people before,
after week one, no one's 100%.
In fact, there's a lot of times where players their whole career
will say, I was never really 100%.
Right. Yeah, that's why it's tough, especially
for a player like young, to start the season
already a little bang. Yeah. I mean,
who in life is ever 100%?
I'm rolling at 75% right now,
and I'm doing a radio show. Ron, you're a Bengals guy.
That's right. I mean, like, Joe Burrow, do you think
he wants to start the season, not at 100%?
Like, he's already like, oh, my ankle.
He's already, like, aggravated.
Absolutely. And hopefully that offensive line
provides a little bit better protection in that regard. But, you know,
we'll see. We'll see in Cincinnati.
Turn our attention to Indianapolis.
This just into the newsroom, guys.
Update on the running back market in the NFL.
Still not great.
Jonathan Taylor and the Colts, especially very not great.
He wants a new deal.
Colts won't give it to him.
Their general manager, Chris Ballard,
talking about the situation with Jonathan Taylor.
It sucks.
It sucks for the Colts.
It sucks for Jonathan Taylor.
And it sucks for our fans.
It just, it does.
and it's where we're at
and we've got to work through it
and we're going to do everything we can to work through it
relationships are repairable
they're repairable
are they always though
I mean you know percentage wise
not to put you on the spot but what
what percentage do you think you'd see
Jonathan Taylor carrying the football for the cults
again
I'm going to go
like 30
20 to 30
But when they said none of the trade offers worked out, weren't they asking, did they just
have Tyree Kill Room or two?
They're like, yeah, let's do a straight up swap.
It was Jaylen Waddle.
Oh, I'm sorry, Jalen Waddle.
Like, they're asking for like, you know, they're asking a lot.
Yeah, no, I see it as very low.
And look, I'm not trying to question whether or not he's healthy.
But when all offseason it's, I won't show up to the preseason or training camp because I want
a new contract.
then once this faux deadline passes that they put in place that actually wasn't a real deadline,
all of a sudden he gets put on the Pup list.
It's like, okay, well, were you going to practice if you had a new contract or what's actually going on here?
And look, I understand Jonathan Taylor's perspective.
Like, Robert Ursay has not made glowing comments about him.
That's the owner of the team.
So he's probably looking at this like, I don't even want to be here anymore, regardless of what you want to pay.
You think some of these running backs even just take a look back,
in the last five years where
Levy on Bell decided,
I'm just not going to play it. Like that didn't really, that didn't
work at either. That approach doesn't seem
to historically work either. Yeah, no,
it's a great point, but I think they're
left between a bad
option, a worse option, and the worst
option. So, nothing
really to, no real other avenues
to look at. We'll wrap up with this.
We know people love to debate
Jordan versus LeBron when it comes to the best
basketball player of all time. And football
feels like there's no debate. It's Tom
Brady. Not so fast, according to Joe Montana, that is. In an interview with men's health,
he didn't pick himself either. Dan Marino was his choice. I think Marino is probably one of the most
unsung heroes of the game. This is according to Montana. People don't talk enough about him or
realize the numbers that he put up during the times that he had to put them up in. I think it
lifts his generation by saying that and keeps him humble by not saying him. You know, a lot of people
stick with their generation of players.
You ask any old school guy, they're going to say Jordan.
Any new school guy, most
of the time they'll say LeBron.
Not always, though.
Yeah. You know, listen, I look at it.
You said LeBron, he's in every conversation.
The same way LeBron,
you get the sense that he always wanted
that validation from Michael Jordan, but never
quite gets the validation from Jordan that
he probably really wants.
Tom Brady grew up a Niners fan.
He grew up idolizing Joe Montana.
He was at the catch game.
You don't think Tom Brady's like, oh, you know,
Joe Montana loves to play spoiler too.
It's like, just give us the answer that we wanted.
It's like him with Rudy, how he ruined Rudy for everybody.
He's like, hey, guys, Rudy, great movie and all, but it never happened.
Yeah, ruin her.
Yeah.
Didn't happen.
He's like, he's a party pooper.
Joe Montana's my childhood hero, but he doesn't seem like.
But hold on.
Dan Marino is not a bad answer either.
He's just saying that dude was an assassin.
he had quarterback faces
Colin Cowan Hurd likes to say
Dan Marino was a handsome guy
Great as quaffin football
The dude was a great quarterback
So it's not a bad answer
And he's staying with the generation
Saying the guys I played with
Without naming himself
He's saying
The competition I competed against
The guys I played with
Are superior than what you're seeing today
True
Well there you have it
Thank you
Thank you Ryan
That's the news
And thanks for stopping by
The Hurd Lie News
Now, speaking of QBs, we talked about Aaron Rogers earlier.
We talked about the floby.
He didn't know the floby.
But the biggest story from Hard Knocks this week was all the trash he was talking.
And he was really proud of it, too.
You know, he had a little tussle with Jihad Ward of the Giants, linebacker of the Giants.
And the story was that Jihad Ward was just going at him a little too hard.
No, you saw it.
It was much like if you watch quarterback when Mahomes was complaining that he got hit
like five seconds too late.
Oh, yeah, yeah, he hit me.
The guy, he hit me, yeah.
Hey, what are you doing, man?
I know what you're doing.
Back off, man.
By Max Crosby.
Yeah, Max Crosby was and he was like, you know, he thought he was like.
I'm here.
I'm here.
Unnecessarily five, like, you know, I got rid of the pass.
You don't need to, you know, elbow me five seconds later.
So, Roger's like, five steps back, man.
What are you doing?
What are you doing, man?
I don't even know you.
So that was like the insult because, as we established already,
to say I don't know you implies you were nobody to me.
You're not even on my radar.
In fact, it's the biggest insult.
He then said to Aaron Rogers, if you remember the clip,
well, I don't know you.
Really?
And then Aaron Rogers goes back to the bench and he brags about it.
He calls it the most uncombackable with.
That's it.
I hit him with the most uncombackable with.
Meaning what are you going to say?
say, you know me, I'm Aaron Rogers. Everybody knows me. This whole camera crew, it's all here
because of me for the most part. So, now there's an update. Yeah. Jihad Ward said he wanted to wait
to see how it was addressed. And the way it came across on hard knocks, he said, there's a reason
why I acted like that in the first place. Said he was miffed. Yeah. Gave, the reason why he gave
Aaron Rogers that little extra shove. He said there's a reason. The reason why is because I don't
let any of my mother F and
teammates get knocked over. And Randall,
what's his name? Oh yeah, Randall
Cobb. Now he's playing like he don't know Randall Cobb.
Because it's a good this. And Randall
what's his name? He knew what he did.
And you even saw that address. Randall Cobb
got the flag and the fine.
19,000. That's what the
wife he was saying. Like, oh, no.
That was some cheap S.
If I see anything on the field, I've got
to do what I've got to do. At the end of the day,
I don't want anyone out here thinking I was
trying to cause a scene. Ward went on
say. There's a reason why I do things.
That was some sucker s
that Randall Cobb and Aaron Rogers did.
And I'm stamping on that.
I ain't hiding from nothing.
Laugh now, cry later.
And, ooh, that's, those are some fighting words.
But there was also some sentiment of
there was thinking that Aaron Rogers
played it up to the cameras,
played it up for the show, played it up for hard knocks.
Like, I don't know who you are.
Like, oh, look at Aaron Rogers being a hot show.
Right, all right, tough guy.
And it was a cool clip. It really was.
And if that's what Aaron Rogers has to do,
there's always methods to the madness, too, right?
More than meets the eye.
More than meets the eye.
I mean, you saw it in quarterback.
Aaron Rogers might be just trying to get his team fired up.
You saw it in quarterback, whether it was Mariotta,
something to rally around.
Or cousins or Mahomes,
quarterbacks all have a different approach of how to be a leader and rally their team.
Or does army.
But I told him this.
And everyone's getting fired up.
Yeah, that's our quarterback.
If he gets a younger guy,
fired up because he's like,
yo, can you believe this clown
didn't know who I was?
I'm Aaron Rogers. Let's go win.
If he's trying to be, you know,
the bold,
you know, big Huevos leader,
like, come on.
You know what?
You know, power to Aaron Rogers, but I got to ask this.
This is where I want to lead this question.
And then we'll take your answers
on the other side,
as they say, if you are
a younger player in the NFL,
and Aaron Rogers says,
I don't know who you are,
What could you say to Aaron Rogers?
Is there a comeback for a future Hall of Famer
that has sort of done it all?
Think about it.
The number again.
818907-0062.
What insult would you give back to Aaron Rogers?
We'll take your feedback next.
Kavino and Rich in for Colin on the herd.

Imagine an Olympics where doping is not only legal but encouraged.
It's the enhanced games.
Some call it grotesque.
Others say it's unleashing human potential.
Either way, the podcast's Superhuman documented it all,
embedded in the games and with the athletes for a full year.
Within probably 10 days, I'd put on 10 pounds.
I was having trouble stopping the muscle growth.

Do you remember when Diana Ross double-tapped Little Kim's boobs at the VMAs?
Or when Kanye said that George Bush didn't like black people.
I know what you're thinking.
What the hell does George Bush got to do with Little Kim?
Well, you can find out on the Look Back at it podcast.
I'm Sam Jek.
And I'm Alex English.
Each episode, we pick it here, unpack what went down, and try to make sense of how
we survived it.
Including a recent episode with Mark Lamont Hill, waxing all about crack in the 80s.
84 is big to me, not just because of crack.
I'm down to talk about crack all day, but just so y'all know.
I mean, at this point, Mark, this is the second episode where we've discussed crack.
So I'm starting to see that there's a through line.
We also have AIDS on the table right now.
Thank you finishing that sentence.
Yes.
I don't think there's a more important year for black people.
Really?
Yeah.
For me, it's one of the most important years for black people in American history.
Listen to look back at it on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcast.
or wherever you get your podcasts.
Yep.
Kavino, Rich.
And for Colin on The Herd, Fox Sports Radio.
Hold on, man.
I'm sending a hate tweet to somebody.
Oh, good, perfect.
Yeah.
You know what's funny?
It's clearly we're here for the herd, right?
Yeah.
Wouldn't it be lame if we just did what Colin does?
It's what he does.
Yeah.
I mean, we're doing Kavino and Rich.
That's who we are.
Yeah.
So thank you for listening.
And we hope you join us again tomorrow
for all the people saying great things.
99% great things.
Look at that.
One percent, so you want to kick in the huevos.
Thanks for all the feedback.
We appreciate you.
At Covino and Rich.
And remember, our brand new podcast,
because it just launched two weeks ago,
Overpromise.
It's a bonus show.
So we're one of the only shows here at Fox Sports Radio
with a bonus show and after show
because we never have enough time.
It's called Overpromise,
because that's what Rich does in life,
in the bedroom, and here on Fox Sports Radio.

promise to wherever you stream,
follow and listen, and you could watch
on the Fox Sports Radio YouTube page.
But talking Aaron Rogers,
he hit Jehad Ward
with the best insult ever.
It really is, as he called it, an
uncombackable with. Meaning,
yo, I don't know you.
Who are you? Well, I'm looking at our feedback. West
hit us up in Vegas, and he said,
I don't know who you are. You could come back
with, oh, you will. I promise
you will. Like that, is that
lame, or is that good?
Papa Bear said to come back with
Oh, your girl knows who I am.
Your girl knows who I am?
Okay.
Oh, you don't know me?
Ask your girl.
She knows.
Damn.
You know what?
That's a good one.
Papa Bear said that.
He's cold blood.
That's not a mess with Papa Bear, bro.
You know, we've said for years on the Kavino and Rich show that if you really want to get under anybody's skin,
just bring up their hair line.
Just go out of hair.
All right.
Hairline.
Aaron Rogers, I don't care how confident he is or how cool he felt with this
uncombackable with insult.
Do you think just something about his hair?
If Jahad War would just say,
I, a hairline, I don't know you about having a hairline.
If he would have just said hairline.
After the game, Aaron Rogers would have been in the mirror.
He would have been like, wait, what are the hair line?
You know, for real, I promise you.
I don't care if he went to Turkey and got some plugs recently.
He would still question it and feel a little insecure about it.
Kevin in San Diego, or is it Brent?
Is that Brent?
I think it is, Sandy.
left.
Kevin.
Kevin, San Diego.
What's going on,
man?
8907-0-0-062.
What's up, Kevin?
Can you guys hear me?
Yeah, what's up, man?
Hey, guys.
Yeah, thanks for having me on.
You can't crack me up all morning.
Oh, thanks, man.
So, when Aaron Rogers comes out with that,
you can't say, you know,
you can't come across like Tommy Boy being like,
well, I don't know who you are either.
Yeah.
You know, it's like, you know,
you have a big candy show.
That's not going to work.
And that's kind of what he did,
because he was caught off guard.
Yeah.
Well, and I just,
I didn't really hear the one until just now while I was on hold about the, you know, your girl knows me.
But I was going to go blow the belt straight out of the third grade pocketbook with, you know, when he comes at you with, I don't even know who you are.
Just say, ask your mama.
Yeah.
You know, a good mama joke.
Ask your mama.
Yeah.
What a play about what?
He'll say, you know what?
I'll ask my great grandmama because you probably graduated with her.
Or, I mean, what if that just did hit him?
He got to hit him with the old stuff.
Like, all right, big shot, one Super Bowl and you all that.
I don't know.
I don't know.
You're on the Just From Endbox.
Like, you know, you got to hit him with some old guy stuff.
For real.
That's what you got to hit him with in that moment, I think.
But again, he was caught so off guard.
He didn't have time for a comeback.
Got to have one in your back pocket.
Doesn't Aaron Roger, his family doesn't talk to him, right?
No.
What if it was like, I don't know who you are?
Well, either just your family because they don't love you.
What?
Oh.
Hit him with the family line.
I don't know.
You know, so again, the back story in the update today was that Jihad Ward was a little mift.
He said mift and a little mad about how Randall Cobb was playing.
And, you know, on the other side of things, Cobb did say he just had a moment.
He just had a bit of a brain fart and was caught in the moment.
And they talked about it.
It's all on hard knocks.
That's the update.
And dang, Rich, we even overpromised here on the herd.
Well, you know what?
I think we could get this in real quick.
Harrison Bader.
We talked to John Morosi of MLB Network yesterday,
and we were talking about how Harrison Bader found out he was off the Yanks.
At this time of year, it's a unique waiver period.
So it doesn't mean that he's off the team, clearly because he's still been playing,
but it does mean that every team now has a chance to claim his contract.
It's a really unique bit of the baseball rules.
I don't really look at it as being a big miss by the Yankees anymore
than the other teams that have done that with their players.
But is this like finding out your girlfriend?
is hanging out with another dude on TikTok.
It's awkward. It's awkward.
And it's not probably how he should be informed.
Maybe going forward, teams should say,
especially when it's clear like the Yankees and Angels,
pull your guy aside, listen.
We might be making some changes.
You're on outright waivers.
Here's the deal and explain it ahead of time
so it's not a big surprise in the moment.
It's the equivalent.
And thank you.
That's John Marosi.
Really nice guy.
He was on our show yesterday on the MLB network.
It's like going to Facebook
and your girlfriend's status was updated and it says,
it's complicated.
What's going on?
Hold on.
We were in a relationship.
What's this about?
And your friends are hitting you up.
Hey, why did Susie change her profile?
It's complicated.
Something going on there?
When you were single for a quick minute after your divorce,
you said you went out with a girl and she's like, what are we?
Well, if you're not going to make a move, you said the next day she was on her Instagram story with another guy.
The same night.
The same night.
fast. And by the way, just the update,
if you don't know, the Reds have claimed Harrison
Bader. Insane.
So he is a Cincinnati Red.
He was so, he
handled it so well. Imagine that.
He's eating lunch with
his teammates.
Looks at ESPN, oh, I'm on waivers.
And he jokingly says, though, what does that even
mean? It meant that
he could be dished at any moment, and he was.
And it was a dream come true
for him because he's a New York kid, so a
lifelong dream fulfilled. But,
just like that, he's off the team.
Just like that. But you know what? Just like that,
he's on a team that is
one game out of the postseason wildcard
hunt. So to be honest, Cincinnati,
would you have ever thought the Cincinnati Reds
would be in a better position than the New York Yankees
on August 31st?
I wish I could have made that prop
at six months ago. You find out in weird
ways sometimes that you dumped or fired, but
it could work to your benefit.
Well, hey, anything from today's show,
if you missed it on the podcast and we'll see you guys
tomorrow. And for Colin again,
Until then, Kavino and Rich.
We'll see you then.
Arribi d'Ate, baby.
See you in the Promise Land.
Have a good Thursday.
Goodbye.
Another podcast from some SNL, late-night comedy guy, not quite.
Unhumor me with Robert Smygel and friends.
Me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman help make you funnier.
This week, my guest, SNL's Mikey Day and head writer Streeter Seidel, help an
a cappella band with their between songs banter.
Where does your group perform?
We do some retirement homes.
Those people are starting.
For Bantor.

Imagine an Olympics where doping is not only legal but encouraged.
It's the enhanced games.
Some call it grotesque.
Others say it's unleashing human potential.
Either way, the podcast's superhuman documented it all, embedded in the games and with the athletes for a full year.
Within probably 10 days, I'd put on 10 pounds.
I was having trouble stopping the muscle growth.

On the Look Back at it podcast.
From 1979, that was a big moment for me.
84 was big to me.
I'm Sam J.
And I'm Alex English.
Each episode, we pick a year,
unpack what went down,
and try to make sense of how we survived it.
With our friends, fellow comedians, and favorite authors.
Like Mark Lamont Hill on the 80s.
84 was a wild.
It was a wild.
I don't think there's a more important year for black people.

This is an IHeart podcast.
Guaranteed human.
