This is an I-Heart podcast.
Guaranteed Human.
Hey, guys, it's us.
The Jonas Brothers. I'm Joe.
I'm Kevin.
And I'm Nick.
And guess what?
We created our own podcast called, Hey, Jonas.
We invented a podcast?
Well, we didn't invent it.
We just contributed to it.
We're the first people to do podcasts.
We get to ask other people questions because we're sick and tired of being asked questions.
Well, sick and tired is a strong way to put it.
But, you know, tired and sick.
Tired and sick.
Listen to Hey Jonas on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you.
you get your podcast. Just listen.
We don't care where you hear it.
Will Ferrell's Big Money Players and IHeart
Podcast Presents soccer moms.
So I'm Leanne. This is my best friend, Janet.
Hey. And we have been joined at the hips
since high school. Absolutely. A redacted
amount of years later, we're still
joined at the hip. Just a little bit bigger hips.
This is a podcast. We're recording it as we
tailgate our youth soccer games in the back
of my Honda Odyssey. With all the
snacks and drinks.
Why did you get hard seltzer instead of beer?
Oh, they had a bogo. Well, then you

What's up, fam? It's Isaiah Thomas.
And I'm C.J. Toledano. It's our favorite time of the year on our podcast point game, the playoffs.
We're digging into the biggest surprises of the season. And I'm looking back on some of my greatest playoff moments.
If we didn't talk ever again, I was part of it. You just understood.
That's how personal it got. Wow.
Then after that game seven, Marquis come in to him, he's like, you know I love you, dog.
You know, it's all love. This was just playoffs. This was just basketball.
So listen to Point Game on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Hey, I'm Deanna Maria Riva, and on my new podcast, How Hard Can It Be?
I call on my Gen X squad from Ohio to Hollywood as we navigate Midlife's most fantastic BS.
Unfiltered conversations from night sweats to fupas to scheduling sex.
Wait, what sex?
Is it just me?
Or does every woman my age want to look at Pinterest instead of having sex sometimes?
They say we can't polish a turd, but we're sure going to.
to try. So let's get blunt with laughs, tears, or tears of laughter. Listen to How Hard
Can It be with Deanna Maria Riva on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your
podcasts. Thanks for listening to The Heard podcast. Be sure to catch us live every weekday on Fox Sports

All sorts of stuff to talk about.
Eric Mangini, former coach of the Jets.
Jets and the Steelers is fascinating.
Aaron Rogers, actually, in his last three healthy season openers,
is not only 0 for three, but he completes about 61% of his throws.
He's lost all three by 10 plus points.
Is that off-field, you know, lack of commitment?
I don't know.
He has moved around different teams,
so some of us just probably going to be that.
But Eric Mangini is now joining us live.
It is interesting.
I mean, Pittsburgh's got a new quarterback, a new left tackle,
a new top running back, a new wide receiver.
And Aaron's always been an interesting guy in where, you know, he's a smart guy.
So you'd think, you know, he doesn't mind learning new stuff.
But Aaron also, you know, can't teach an old dog new tricks.
He likes what he likes.
And I look at Aaron's struggles in season openers.
And I think the Jets actually have some very,
interesting personnel defensively. What do you think Aaron Rogers Steelers season opener looks like against his former team?
Well, it should be really good. He actually has more experience at MetLife than he does playing in Pittsburgh.
So he should be very comfortable there. The last time he played there against the dolphins at the end of last season,
he threw four touchdowns and one pick and had one of his best games as a jet.
The other thing is he actually has a better understanding of Jets' defensive personnel than anybody on the Steelers.
He spent all that time with him.
So he's got the understanding of the personnel.
He's comfortable playing the stadium.
His last game there was pretty good.
He's got the most tenured head coach in an organization that has absolute function as opposed to dysfunction against a rookie head coach.
It should line up as well as it could line up for him in an opener.
Now, I know as a coach, you could say there's no good losses,
but I came out of the Dallas loss last night.
I mean, Schottenheimer was buttoned up.
They had very few penalties.
Their clock management end of the first half was strong.
More yards per play.
Dak moved.
I worried about Dak's movement.
I thought he moved very well.
I came out of that game.
And if you'd never seen those two teams play,
your takeaway was Dallas matches up well.
What does you make of it?
Yeah, so remember when we talked when Brian got the job and I said,
I felt that Brian Schottenheimer was as deserving as any of these other guys
who were getting their first time opportunity.
And you saw that last night.
He was very poised.
He was very comfortable.
You're playing the defending Super Bowl champions,
the night that they opened or they dropped the banner
and the opening of the NFL season on the,
road, it is a night game, you have the weather delay, you've got a quarterback that's coming back
from an injury, you've got to call the game as well. They've just traded away, arguably your
best defensive player or one of your best players, so you've got all that turmoil, and then they
come out and you look at these two teams and you think that Brian had been coaching for a long
time. I thought the operation at the end of the first half was a really good indicator
of how discipline this team is.
And then take a look at what they did about Sequin.
And Jerry talked about stopping the run.
Sequin Barclay averaged 3.3 yards of carry.
That's his second lowest average in the last year.
The only time he was held to a lower average
was against Cleveland last year in October.
I think it was like October 14th,
where he averaged 2.4 yards of carry.
So they talked about stopping the run.
They held Sequan Barclay to his second lowest average.
That's impressive in itself.
and you've got to give Matt Iber Fluse a lot of credit for that as well.
And think of the opportunities they had to win the game.
So we talk about the CD lamb drops.
There's multiple.
There's three huge ones.
What about Miles Sanders fumble?
Yeah.
That's huge.
What about George Pickens' penalty on the 11-yard line?
That's huge.
Huge.
So you've got these gigantic plays that change the nature of the game.
But if I'm a Dallas Cowboys fan, I'm really excited.
this this if they can play like this they're going to be in the mix for the playoffs
yeah with without a doubt they they should be in the mix and and you got to give
deck a ton of credit he looked he looked like a guy that deserves 60 million dollars no
he looked like a legitimate franchise quarterback leader and and you you have to wake up in
Dallas so much more excited about the season than he did prior to the game.
I'm glad you mentioned the Pickens penalty because that forced them back.
They could have scored on the next play.
If that doesn't happen, they had momentum.
It was a really bad penalty.
AJ Brown won target.
And you know, you and I've joked about this before, probably off air.
I think certain things in life are luxuries, like a watch, a great watch.
I got my phone.
A nice watch is a luxury.
if you can afford it by it.
I tend to think wide receivers are a little bit more of a luxury than a necessity with a team of the great run game.
When you target him one time, Eric, that's something.
Isn't it something?
Well, here's where I give the Philadelphia Eagles a lot of credit.
Now, here's why I give Jalen Hertz a lot of credit.
He's noisy, and he's going to make noisy this season.
He was noisy last season with the book on the sideline, and everybody dressed that up as,
oh, this is something that he does?
No, it wasn't.
It was a very clear message last season
that he was unhappy with the amount of targets he was getting.
And that's going to happen again this season.
But I give them credit for staying true to what they said.
We're not going to change our identity to accommodate any one individual.
And I can tell you, it is so much better to win boring
than to lose an exciting game.
It is so much better.
And this is a formula that made Philadelphia so successful last season
and we'll continue to make him successful.
Will that make A.J. Brown happy?
No, but this isn't a one-man band, and it's not the A.J. Brown show,
and there's going to be a lot of opportunities for him to be the hero.
Now, whether or not he can be patient enough for those opportunities,
I don't know.
Would you want to get him more in the mix?
Yes, and I think you can do a good job at a beginning of a game
to script a few plays, to get the ball in his hands,
to maybe take some of the edge off the rest.
rest of the game if this is the way you're going to play it.
Be sure to catch live editions of the herd weekdays in noon Eastern, 9 a.m. Pacific.
Hey, it's Ben, host of The Fifth Hour with Ben Mallor.
It would mean a lot to have you join us on our weekly auditory journey.

This is how you guys remember it going down
Yes I have a very different memory of this
We were talking about a thing
A bit for the podcast
For people could call in and say hey Jonas
And then I wrote down on my little

And offered it up as a potential title

What's up, fam? It's Isaiah Thomas. And I'm CJ Toledano, and our podcast Point Game is about defining the odds.

I think Joker's going to be exhausted this series
because when they don't have Rudy in the lineup,
he has to really guard guys like Nas Reid.
He has to guard Julius Randall.
And then he has to give us everything he gives us
on the night-to-night bases on offense.
And when IT's friends stop by, like Quentin Richardson,
we dive into some playoff history too.
Steve Nass would get that thing.
That man, hell get the flying.
He running up the court, licking his fingers,
why he got the ball, like,
After you go through a training camp with that, Isaiah, you figure it out real quick.
Get your ass up and down the court, and you're going to get the ball.
So listen to Point Game on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Here's something that should not be as complicated as it is.
Getting a racist statue removed.
And here's something that should be a whole lot easier than it is.
Getting a new one put up in its place.
As long as there's a politics of race in America, there's going to be a politics of remembering
the Civil War. To get to school, I had to go down Robert Lee Boulevard. Get to the grocery store.
I had to go down Jefferson Davis Parkway. If you're an historian and you leave out half of what the
history is, you're not doing your job. I'm Akila Hughes. In Rebel Spirit, season two goes deep
on both of those things. The fights, the politics, the people who won, and my personal campaign
to add something to the Kentucky State House that's actually worth the wall space. We are more
than our bodies. We contain essence. We contain spirit. How do you represent that?
They are just fueling a fire that is really catching. You'll see what I mean. Listen to Rebel Spirit
Season 2 on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Keith Gianmanca seemed like a mild-mannered suburban dad, but secretly, he became someone else,
a master of disguise who went on a crime spree. At the time did it seem to be a crime spree. At the time did it
seemed like a crazy idea? It seemed very crazy, but I felt so desperate that I felt it was the
quickest, easiest way out. Did you allow yourself to think about how it could go wrong
and what that might look like? No, I didn't want to manifest that. I was trying to manifest
success. Every family has its secrets. But what happens when you discover that your dad has been
living a double life.
That is not the look of an innocent man.
This is going to change my life and my family dynamic forever because everything that had
existed prior in my reality is now untrue.
Listen to Deep Cover the Family Man on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever
you get your podcasts.
All right, I want to talk about two coaches you know.
First Jim Harbaugh.
He's been very good in season openers.
they've got Rishon Slater out for the year.
Bechton has some sort of flu bug.
He may not play.
They move Joe Alt, right tackle to left tackle.
I'm like, oh, my lord.
Your take on playing in Brazil as a coaching staff,
your thoughts on Harbaugh,
now trying to knock off Kansas City in that division.
Where are you with the Chargers and Harbaugh?
Well, I actually looked it up.
So, Jim, as the second best opening day record
of any coach in NFL history,
I think the other guy, I can't remember if it's Pazzi Clark.
It was from like 1931, the Portsmouth Spartans, and also the Detroit Lions.
He's second to him.
So he's very good in these games.
I think the fact that they're playing in Brazil, that won't bother Jim at all.
He's great at embracing those things.
So if you're going to the East Coast, he's great at embracing that.
If you're going to Brazil, he's great at embracing that, where sometimes that can be a distraction.
guys can be frustrated by it, where he'll celebrate that.
And look at this incredible opportunity we have.
And it gets to be very contagious.
The first game of the season is so hard to predict
because all the things that have gone on in training camp
that nobody's seen.
But I would say I expect this could easily be an upset,
if you consider it an upset by the Chargers in this game.
And I'm excited to see the way that they're,
run the football because I really like the young back at a Marion hampton I think he's I think he's
going to be excellent finally Bill Belichick a story that he will not let Patriot scouts into UNC
practice I don't know what what do you make of that what why like why do it so now I'm a parent
and I sent my son to UNC and and there was a talk about how this is the 33rd team you know
the 33rd NFL team and it's going to be run like an NFL program and that'll help you
son get to the NFL well part of that is getting your son seen by scouts so so to have this level
of pettiness what you're frustrated that you got fired by the patriots guess what everybody gets
fired at some point you know except for a few guys here and there and then you could have retired
if you wanted to you decided not to you got fired that that's we all sign up for that when you
take the job so so you're going to be mad about that i think that there's so many more problems
there from a playing perspective based off of how they played in their opener to focus on,
then to focus on whether or not you allow scouts.
And I don't think people are going to suffer that type of pettiness very well, especially if you're losing.
Yeah.
He'll be on first things first after us.
He'll try to corral Nick Wright, who's not, I'm sure today as the chiefs open up,
he'll need some coaching. I'll just leave it at that. Good luck with that.
All right. Thank you, Colin. Have a great weekend.
All right. Eric Mangini.
J. Mack, with the news.
No, no, no, no.
Turn on the news. This is the herd line news.
All right, Colin. Let's start with Brock Purdy. You know, we love a good Brock Purdy discussion,
specifically his place among the NFL's top quarterbacks.
Purdy obviously got paid this offseason. And John Lynch believes,
that the doubt in the media.
No, he didn't mention you,
but he believes the doubt in the media fuels, Brock Birdie.
We've got a ton of belief in him,
and he's earned that belief.
You know, everyone knows his story.
Last player chosen in the draft,
and he's just chipped away
and kind of taken down every barrier in his way.
And, you know, he continues to do that on the field.
And I think Brock kind of gets a thrill out of when people doubt him.
Yeah, see, he can handle it.
I appreciate that.
I've come around. He's a good B plus quarterback.
Excuse me?
Dak Prescott's a good B plus quarterback. Brock Purdy's a good B plus quarterback.
Kirk Cousins was a good B plus quarterback.
Just want some clarity there.
Okay.
Listen, probably the most interesting practice report today will be Christian McCaffrey.
Because if he's not there, Brock Purdy has a very tall order going into Seattle
and keeping his perfect record intact.
Oh, what is it?
3 and O.
Okay.
At Lumen Field.
Not 8 and 0, not 11 and O.
He's only played there three times.
have yet to beat off Gino Smith.
Now we're going to be talking about this game shortly in my picks.
I got some interesting numbers for you, but I'm just telling you, I'm refreshing 49ers beat
reporters because today is where guys are practicing.
Like the Saints just ruled somebody out.
We'll talk about that shortly.
You know, did you notice?
I stayed away from that game.
I wanted to take Arizona.
I think you're on to something.
You love to miss layups.
You're like me.
I pass on layups because I want to shoot threes.
You missed a layup with Arizona and the Saints.
We'll talk about it later.
All right.
Next up here is the New York Giants.
Colin, Jackson Dart had a hell of a good preseason.
So good that there is some chatter that maybe he'll get to play sooner than later.
Well, according to Ian Rappaport, New York believes that even though Dart isn't the starter,
he's prepared to take over and be ready whenever necessary,
adding everything they wanted to see from him in the preseason they saw.
Now, Dart, it shocked the world.
Remember Draft Night?
He was taken ahead of Shadour, and it was like, what is happening?
I didn't love the pick.
I thought they reached a little.
Well, everything from Day Bowl, they love this guy.
Do you know I lost a steak dinner to a GM on that?
Oh, you bet that Shadour would go?
No, no, no, no.
I said, I said, Jackson Dart is Kyle McCord is the name.
He's already been cut.
Kyle McCord, he's going to, he's been laying your car tonight.
Whatever.
Listen, I don't know about Dart.
We'll see, I didn't see the competition.
He was playing in the lane.
I will say this.
He looks very comfortable.
Comfortable.
And that's worth, I know it's preseasoned.
Well, he's going against vanilla defenses.
Well, he's thrown to fourth stringers.
It works both ways.
He looked very, very comfortable.
So the big difference between him and Shador that I saw is he's sitting in the pocket,
processing and reacting.
He's not running for his life trying to make plays.
That ain't the way to go.
Dart?
He did deliver in the preseason.
These highlights make him look like a starter, man.
We'll see.
I think he plays a lot this season.
They were bad at quarterback last year, so add Abdul Carter.
The schedule is just impossible.
Or they would be talking about wins.
I'm not looking about wins. I'm looking, are they competitive?
Because I still think they have the right coach.
Well, if they're not competitive, Davele is going to get fired.
Yeah.
If they're competitive, he sticks around.
Final Story, Colin, it's contrast Jackson Dart with this, Anthony Richardson.
Now, this is just a report, okay?
Anthony Richardson agent recently met with GM Chris Ballard and broached the idea of a possible trade,
a.k.a. Hey man, y'all like Daniel Jones, get my guy out of here.
I don't know what Anthony Richardson's value would be on the open market.
Like, you're taking a flyer on him? What are you giving up for Anthony Richardson?
I don't think he's a franchise quarterback. I think he's a...
What do you give up a fifth round pick for?
He's a backup. If I had two fifths, I'd give up one. Otherwise, I'd give up a six.
This guy went top five. I think top five.
in the draft. I know.
Recently.
I would give up a six-round pick.
Chris Ballard wants to...
Again, if I have multiple six and sevens,
would I give up a six and a seven as a backup?
He's a nice kid.
He's got a great big body,
big frame. He's worse something.
You don't think it's still TBD on Anthony?
We haven't seen enough. How can we know that he's a backup?
He's so young. I'll just say this.
Jerry Jones made a bad deal for Trey Lance.
Remember that trade?
Yep.
Why wouldn't you, if you're the Colts called Jerry and be like,
Hey, Jerry?
We got big strapping Anthony Richardson here for you.
He could throw the ball out of the stadium.
After I watched DAC last night, I may sign him to an extension.
Oh, wait, who's got Joe Milton?
Do the Cowboys have Joe Milton?
Yeah.
Oh, never mind.
They already have one guy with a cat in arm.
But I don't know.
I think if I'm a smart coach, I would just take a flyer on Anthony Richardson.
Fifth round picks are, you know, I don't even know what the odds are.
30% they make the league.
I mean, I don't know.
I would, if I didn't have, like Miami.
for the last several years,
Tua, bad old line, no backup?
I mean, he's certainly capable.
I mean, if nothing else,
if you had, like Jared Goff
and you have kind of a pocket quarterback,
you can bring him in for Red Zone plays.
That's interesting.
I think he's an interesting,
I mean, that's what the Seahawks did
when they drafted the kid that'll backup
Dalton, Donald,
out of Alabama.
Oh, Jalen Milrow. Yeah, yeah.
Yeah, like, they're going to use Jalen Milro
in some,
series if you get into situations where maybe it's short yardage.
I don't know if they'll use him a lot, but he is an insane athlete.
I forgot this one. How about this? Pittsburgh Steelers have a fossil at quarterback.
Why wouldn't you kick the tires on anything?
I don't think that's a bad idea. I don't think that's a bad idea at all.
You're going to learn from somebody. Aaron's always been pretty good about that,
helping young quarterbacks in the room.
A lot of good ideas coming off this side of the set.
Jay Mack with the...
Well, that's the news.
And thanks for stopping by.
The Herd Line News.
I'm going to the USC game tomorrow.
How about afterwards we drop over at the 900?
Saturday night?
It's a little rowdy there.
I can't believe you're announcing it on live television.
Goodness gracious.
I got to go see my buddy across the street too.
All right.
Jason's picks.
Tomorrow's headlines today next.

But what happens when you discover that your dad has been living a double life? That is not the look
of an innocent man. This is going to change my life and my family dynamic forever because
everything that had existed prior in my reality is now untrue.
Listen to Deep Cover the Family Man on the Iheart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Well, the spitting contest is out of the way and the chargers take on the Kansas City Chiefs tonight in Brazil.
So off a very strong last season.
and I don't know which way you're going on these,
but I have a feeling on a couple of them.
But the former newspaper guy,
he kicked that dead-end job to the career,
and he's now a digital and TV star.
Let's do J-Max tomorrow's headlines today, his NFL picks.
You know, I thought you liked the Bucks.
You're never a Falcons guy.
Bucks are at Tampa.
I thought you liked Baker.
What side you on here?
So last year, I watched you plant your flag
with the Broncos, and there was one other team you called Washington.
Washington.
Well, that team for me this year is going to be the Atlanta Falcons.
The headline for Falcons Bucks will be Kyle Me Crazy, but Pits might be good.
This is finally the year for Cow Pits.
By the way, his best two games last year for Cow Pits came against Tampa.
He had in the two games, 13 catches, Buck 79, two touchdowns.
He was outstanding.
But, Colin, I don't know how close you paid attention to this.
Tristan Worf's, the great left tackle.
He's not playing. He's hurt.
He's going to miss some time.
And I looked into their backup.
Gentlemen by the name of Charlie Heck, he's in some trouble.
He struggled throughout training camp.
And what did Atlanta do this offseason?
They upgraded big time on the edge.
They drafted the kid Walker from Georgia, who's awesome.
They drafted Pierce from Tennessee, and then they went and got Leonard Floyd.
They realized they couldn't get to the quarterback.
They're all in.
They were going to be coming heavy after Baker Mayfield.
Colin, there are some numbers that I've talked about with you.
that show Atlanta, you know, they were unlucky last year.
Kirk Cousins led the NFL with four interceptions in the final two minutes of games.
That's unlucky.
He's the backup now.
Enter Michael Pennix, who I like a lot.
And, oh, by the way, last year the Bucks won 10 games, would you believe four of them came
against backup quarterbacks?
They beat Rattler twice, Drew Locke, Aden O'Connell, like, come on, man.
I think the Bucks are a little overvalued.
I like the Falcons here.
I mean, getting points at home.
How could you pass that up?
And that leads us into the Jets.
Tomorrow's headlines today.
Steelers at the Jets, New York getting points at home.
Home dogs going to be barking this weekend.
The headline for my New York football Jets will be steel curtains drawn tight.
Jet Street past old man Aaron's window.
So listen, this is just a bet against Aaron Rogers.
I'm out on him.
know some of it is sour grapes because he kind of got injured with the jets and then was quite
awful last year. But Colin, if you look at the tendencies of Aaron Glenn, who's taken over his head
coach, as defensive coordinator in Detroit, they blitzed at the second highest rate in the league
last year. And then, by the way, Steelers have a new left tackle. Yes. Lions last year were
fourth in the league in pressure rate. Aaron Glenn's DNA, we got to get after the quarterback.
That's what they're going to do. Rogers is a statue. He's working with new receivers. I don't love
the Pittsburgh blocking scheme.
Jalen Warren doesn't really scare me as a running back.
And I don't think the receivers are top end.
Colin, how does this game, who scores points in this?
I would go over under one and a half touchdowns in Steelers Jets.
This is going to be played.
It's going to be ugly.
Well, my take has always been when you have like the lowest total on the board and you
get a field goal.
I think you got it.
And if you have a competent quarterback, Justin Fields is more than competent.
I'll take the points.
I mean, Fields is not, let's be real.
He's not going to be throwing 30 passes in this game.
No way.
Throw 22 and moves?
I'm good.
Yeah, that's probably the game play.
So I like the Jets either winning a close one or winning like, you know, 126.
I mean, I think the Jets can pull it off.
Tomorrow's headlines today.
This game, I knew it.
Cardinals at the Saints.
So I'm in a wins pool with some guys from here at Fox.
And I drafted not only the Falcons,
but this next team, the Arizona Cardinals,
the headline for Cardinals Saints will be Kyler of duty.
QB puts up video game numbers.
Honestly, would not be shocked if Arizona stunned folks
with a 40 burger here.
Remember last year in the opener, they went into Buffalo,
led for much of that game.
Oh, what's going on here?
Did cover the spread.
I know you care deeply about that.
A couple things to note,
the New Orleans Saints just announced Trevor Penning,
who was a bit of a busted tackle that kicked him inside the guard.
He's out.
So the Saints are now starting a backup left guard and a rookie left tackle the kid banks.
I think this could be a game where sweat who just came over from Philly, he's their new edge rusher, he could eat.
And Colin, if you ranked all 32 starting quarterbacks this week, who do you think is dead last?
Rattler.
I don't want to be harsh, but he was bad last year.
We saw nothing from him, and he beats out their rookie quarterback.
So I think Kyler Murray eats.
I don't think the Saints can keep up.
It's going to be a beatdown.
So I'm on the Cardinals here, every which way.
When you look at the Cardinals, offensive personnel, do they have dudes?
Pick up.
How about this?
Their skill position players are better than the Niners.
I'm sorry.
And the Niners have McCaffrey and Kittle.
I mean, you're looking at Harrison, McBride, James Connor.
Those are really top-end.
And Kyler.
And Kyler is making plays.
Yeah, I like Arizona a lot.
Now it gets ugly.
Tomorrow's headlines today, the banged-up old brittle Niners at the young and vibrant
Seahaw.
So, by the way, you're on to, you know, I remember when I bashed your Seattle take,
because you had them winning the division like a month ago, and I was like, that's crazy.
But you start to dig into their defense.
They're really good.
And McDonald knows his stuff.
He's excellent.
So I think they're going to be frisky.
However, in week one, I got a ride with my guy.
The headline for Niners Seahawks will be.
I love it when a Shanna plan comes together.
Niners still the A team.
I know you watched the A team back in the next.
Of course I did.
Pitted a fool.
Yeah.
Mr. T.
Well done.
Brock Purdy, as I said earlier,
3 and 0 at Lumenfield.
Shanahan has won 6 of 7 from the Seahawks.
Kind of owns them.
Colin, listen, I'm not a huge darnled guy.
Remember, like he was really good last year.
They won 14 games.
Yeah.
He had Kevin O'Connell, who you believe is an elite coach,
and Justin Jefferson, who's the best or second best receiver in the league.
He goes to Seattle.
He's got like Jackson Smith and Jigba.
I like him.
but that's a big drop off from Justin Jefferson.
Robert Sala, he knows defense.
He's going to be motivated after that disaster with my jets.
I'm just praying McCaffrey place.
I'll just leave it at that.
And I think the Niners get back down.
I have said this.
I like a lot about the Niners,
but I feel like Bosa gets dinged up, Christian gets dinged up,
Trent gets dinged up.
That's my thing.
Two things are true.
I like the Niners.
They got some old guys,
and they are very dependent on like left tackle,
star back, kiddle.
You know, Fred Warner gets dinged up.
So, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.
Like, I mean, that defense is Warner and Bosa.
So Seattle has a new offensive coordinator, Clint Kubiak.
They got a new quarterback in Sam Darnold.
A lot of newness on that team, new wide receiving group.
I don't know that it gels immediately.
Give me the Niners.
Finally, tomorrow's headlines today.
Lambo, you know, I live by Lambo now.
Lions at the Packers.
Stones throw away.
From Delsin.
You and Michael Pars are going to be hanging out soon.
Packers lines, we've talked about it all week.
We both like the same side here.
The headline for Packers Lions will be
Love Island. Green Bay enters golden years.
I'm bullish on the Packers.
Look at that. A heart football, Love Island.
Our graphics team is strong. I'm on the Packers here.
I'm just down a little bit on the Detroit Lions.
And everything about the Packers looks great.
It sounds like Micah's going to play probably on a pitch count.
Maybe he gets 30 snaps.
But I don't know how much they need him because this is an offense for Green Bay that should click.
Remember, love and company in the opener last year in Brazil.
They almost beat Green Bay.
Love gets hurt at the end.
It kind of derailed things.
But a healthy love, Matthew Golden, keep an eye on him.
I like the ground game.
I think LaFleur has a coaching edge over your boy, Dan Campbell.
So I will go Packers here somewhat comfortably in a revenge spot because they got swept.
You know what I noticed when Texas and Ohio State played how much they miss Matthew Golden.
those Texas receivers did not separate.
And last year all I kept thinking was, man, Texas receivers are always open because you had to double him.
That's right, yeah.
So that kid, you take, I mean, think how good Texas recruits.
You take one receiver out of the receiving corps, and they look totally pedestrian.
So, I mean, Green Bay didn't need another weapon, running back, tight ends.
Why did they draft him?
That's what I think Green Bay looked and said this guy is the seventh or eighth best player in the draft.
So when we look back at the Packers, if they get to the Super Bowl, Colin, just remember two things.
They don't draft wide receivers in the first round.
Remember Aaron Rogers complained about that.
They went and got golden, changed her tendency.
They don't make big splashy trades, giving up for...
They did it for Micah Parsons.
And I just wonder if maybe the new regime is like, we're not going to do things the old way.
We're going to change tendency a little.
Let's go all in.
And I feel like, if you ask me today, are the Packers in the Super Bowl?
I'd say, yeah, I think they've got a legit shot in the NFC.
You know, the NFC executives, Mike Sando, does a great job at the other place, did an anonymous poll among NFC execs, and they ranked the teams.
And you and I were both surprised.
It was Philly One and Green Bay, too.
Because I think we both look at Green Bay as still young.
But, you know, they draft so well.
They have two tight ends, I love.
Tucker Kraft is one.
Yeah.
And they are the guys from Oregon stays at Musgrave, nice player.
They have really, really.
and they're back.
Josh Jacobs is stud.
So in a sport,
they're kind of the opposite of the Steelers.
They just do offense right.
Sometimes, that's why I defended the Micah move.
They can't quite get a consistent great path.
Pittsburgh does defense right.
They draft well on offense,
and they still can't get the offense right.
So, you know, there is a culture within Green Bay
between coaching, drafting, and developing.
They get offense right.
You know, I was listening to one of their,
beat writers on some podcast
really nerding out. And
halfly, the defensive coordinator likes to run a lot of
stunts. So it's not just going to meet
Micah coming off the edge. He's going to be
coming interior. I mean, there
is a world where the Packers fans are like,
guys, we're going to be like a
12-13 win team this year
with a healthy unit.
Good Friday show.
We stand on business.
That thing hummed today.
First things first has our hands full
today, trying to follow that.
