This is an I-Heart podcast.
Guaranteed Human.
Another podcast from some SNL, late-night comedy guy, not quite.
Unhumor me with Robert Smygel and friends.
Me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman
help make you funnier.
This week, my guest, SNL's Mikey Day and head writer, Streeter Seidel,
help an a cappella band with their between songs banter.
Where does your group perform?
We do some retirement homes.
Those people are starving for banter.
Listen to humor me with Robert Smigel
and friends on the IHeart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
A win is a win.
A win is a win.
I don't care what I'm saying.
Yep, that's me, Clivert Taylor the 4th.
You might have seen the skits, my basketball and college football journey, or my career
in sports media.
Well, now I'm bringing all of that excitement to my brand new podcast, The Clifers Show.
This is a place for raw, unfiltered conversations with athletes, creators, and voices that not
only deserve to be heard, but celebrated.
So let's get to it.
Listen to The Clifford show on the IHard Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast.

On the Look Back at it podcast.
From 1979, that was a big moment for me.
84 is big to me.
I'm Sam J.
And I'm Alex English.
Each episode, we pick a year, unpack what went down, and try to make sense of how we survived it.
With our friends, fellow comedians, and favorite authors.
Like Mark Lamont Hill on the 80s.
84 was a wild.
It was a wild year.
I don't think there's a more important year for black people.
Listen to look back at it on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.

On behalf of Military Appreciation Week, I want to give a shout out to the Rams.
Go, Ram!
Fox NFL Sunday broadcast live from the United States Air Force Academy in honor of Veterans Day.
Looking forward to it, two-hour special.
Will Blackman, 12 years in the league, a Super Bowl with the Giants?
You know, I'm watching Carolina last night.
They're awful.
you mostly played.
You had the Giants, Packers.
You played with very formidable organizations most of your career,
but you did spend time with Jacksonville.
What is it like playing and working for a really bad team?
Is it depressing?
Yeah, it's funny because you asked me,
you said, have you been on a really bad team?
I was like, yeah, the worst team I've been on was Jacksonville in 2013.
And it was such a unique situation because Shot Khan just bought the team.
So you had a new owner.
you had a new general manager,
you had a new head coach in Gus Bradley,
you had new uniform, new stadium,
new locker rooms, new training rooms,
everything was brand new at that place.
And it was really tough because
they really had to start from scratch.
And I think at the time,
they drafted Blaine, Gabbard,
I think first, and then eventually
end up having Bordle. So still trying to figure out
that quarterback position, right?
And then we just didn't have a lot of,
we had zero star power on our team.
I was in the secondary.
I got signed after I left Seattle's training camp
in the whole secondary.
How do you stay motivated?
Well, me, I'm just psychotic.
I just love football.
I love football.
But I will say this,
this is where I gave a lot of respect to Gus Bradley
because it was challenging.
And he came in every single day
like sticking to the script,
super excited, motivating, never wavered, what have you, despite, we started season 0 and 8.
And that was, that was in, plus in Jacksonville.
Let me ask you, Bryce Young last night, we have video.
Yeah.
The defining trait of a star quarterback, not a franchise quarterback, a star is the ability to overcome.
Battle line, average coordinator.
Is it fair when I look at Bryce Young?
C.J. Stroud appears to be an overcomer.
Bryce isn't.
Can be a franchise quarterback.
He's not an overcomer.
He's not big enough, strong enough, gifted enough to be an overcome.
Bryce Young, C.J. Stroud, four backup O-Lineman, first-time play caller.
Week one, Ravens, making throws.
Is it fair?
I'm not calling him a bust, but Bryce has, he's not an overcomer.
I wouldn't even bring that word bust at all.
I would say qualities I like are two things.
Like, how are you able to handle just adversity in general, right?
Like, that's a big deal for me if I'm evaluating a quarterback.
And then, right, if you're looking for the star part, how can you overcome it despite
whatever's going on around you?
Because there's always obstacles.
There's always stuff going around.
If you're able to overcome it and not let it affect you, that's one thing.
But two, like, two different cultures, like what's going on in Carolina, what's going on in Houston?
I just, not even being that, I just know it's different cultures.
Right.
And watching a lot of C.J. Strauss interviews, he really, you can tell that he and Bobby Sloick have a instant automatic communication.
Because he talks about a lot of things that, a lot of freedom that CJ has, he talks about he has, and that things that he'll recommend, they'll allow him to do.
And right now it looks like, you know, Bobby Slovak is calling plays that go right into his willhouse what he likes to do.
Yeah. And that matters.
And plus in D'Amico, just the consensus of how he is, just as a culture, as a leader.
I mean, the Niners knew he was a rocket ship.
No question.
So the bills were having a players-only meeting.
Did you ever have a player's-only meeting anywhere?
I had a player's only meeting on every team that I played for.
Is there any time they made a difference?
It always feels like the coach is gone once you go there.
Yeah, I think when I was on the Giants in,
2011, I think we had about six player-owned meetings.
Because Kaufflin was so rough?
No, so this is what Coach Kaufman did.
He did really well.
He had his own leadership committee.
Yeah.
So, you know, he met with like six guys or whatever it was.
And pretty much, if there was issues in the locker room, like, you guys handle it.
Now, if the problem's too big, you come to me, we'll keep having check-ins here and there.
And I think we had always, because I think the intro role and Dionne Grant, like, there was always something, like, wrong.
But I love the player meetings because it's always, let's get stuff out.
I know we're going to touch on Coach McCarthy soon,
but he was big on saying conflict is good because it allows everyone to be honest
and figure out what's going on.
I mean, do you talk about personal stuff, play calling schemes?
We talk about just trying to have everyone be on the same page culture-wise.
Because what happens is when a lot is going on when things aren't right,
there's probably a lot of finger-pointing.
There's probably a lot of isolation, you know, different positions groups that hang out with each other.
Hey, let's just take care of our side.
Let's take care of our side versus, like, let's take care of it as a team.
And usually what these player-owned meetings are, like, let's get back to what we are,
especially like with Buffalo.
Like they, the past like four years, they've been picked to go deep in the playoffs or even the Super Bowl.
And they're sitting at what, five and four right now, I believe it is.
It's like, you know, we're not who we are right now.
I have a great parlay for you this weekend.
thanks to Draft King Sportsbook, new users, please use the code H-E-R-D when you download the app.
Takes a couple of minutes.
Now for my parlay picks of the week via Draft King Sportsbook.
I'll take Lions minus two and a half at the Chargers.
You know the Chargers don't have much of a home field advantage, and I think the Lions' excellent
offensive line can hold off the Chargers' pass rush.
I'll take the Cardinals at home plus one and a half against Atlanta.
Kyler Murray returns. He wouldn't return unless he was ready to play.
I'll take the Cowboys minus 16. I know weird, right? I hate big favorites.
The Giants offense, though, currently with this quarterback is the worst I've seen in the NFL in years.
If you want to take the herd parlay, check out Draft King Sportsbook. New users, please use the code Hurd.

Imagine an Olympics where doping is not only legal but encouraged.
It's the enhanced games.
Some call it grotesque.
Others say it's unleashing human potential.
Either way, the podcast's Superhuman documented it all,
embedded in the games and with the athletes for a full.
full year. Within probably
10 days, I'd put on 10 pounds.
I was having trouble stopping
the muscle growth. Listen to

A win is a win.
A win is a win. I don't care
which I'll say. Yep,
that's me, Cliver Taylor the 4th.
You might have seen the skits, the reactions,
my journey from basketball to college
football, or my career in sports media.
Well, somewhere along the way,
this platform became bigger than I
ever imagined. And now I'm bringing all of that excitement to my brand new podcast, The Clifford Show.
This is a place for raw, unfiltered conversations with some of your favorite athletes,

chasing something bigger.
So if you've ever supported me, or you're just chasing down a dream, this is right
what you need to be.

Do you remember when Diana Ross double-tap little Kim's boobs at the VMAs?
Or when Kanye said that George Bush didn't like black people.
I know what you're thinking.
What the hell does George Bush got to do with Little Kim?
Well, you can find out on the...
Look Back at it podcast. I'm Sam J.
And I'm Alex English.
Each episode, we pick it here, unpack what went down, and try to make sense of how we survived it.
Including a recent episode with Mark Lamont Hill waxing all about crack in the 80s.
To be clear, 84's big to me, not just because of crack.
I'm down to talk about crack on day, but just so y'all know.
I mean, at this point, Mark, this is the second episode where we've discussed crack.
So I'm starting to see that there's a through line.
We also have AIDS on the table right now.
Thank you for finishing that sentence.
I don't think there's a more important year for black people.
Really?
Yeah.
For me, it's one of the most important years for black people in American history.
Listen to look back at it on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
I want our staff to show, because all I cared about last night, the only standings I care about is the draft board.
Yep.
So Chicago's got three wins.
And if their schedule, they've got too many.
games they can win. Justin Field comes back. They're going to win a game or two. They're going to
end up with four or five games. I won't give them six. They're not going to get one of the top
two to three quarterbacks. They have to have Carolina lose, and their schedule's got a lot of home
games against Atlanta, Tampa. Here's the interesting one. Let's say Arizona end up at number two.
I don't think they will. I think Kyler's too gifted. They'll win games. I would argue everybody here
on this draft order.
He's a quarterback?
Well, yeah, they'd all drafted.
Even Sean Payton.
They would all draft it.
But the one I have paused with is Kyler Murray.
Because he took a franchise.
We don't like the owner.
Front office wasn't great.
The coach got fired.
Niners, Seahawks, Rams in the division.
He got him to the playoffs.
I don't want to hear anybody's recency bias.
Overcome, right?
Oh, there's no question.
Kyler is an absolute overcomer.
Huge talent.
We've all forgotten.
We do this with Joe Burrow.
He doesn't play well in September.
We forget how great he was six months earlier.
Joe Burroughs unbelievable.
Would you, if Kyler Murray, you had Arizona, one or two, would you keep Kyler and go with
the college guys?
Because I think it's tougher than people make it out to.
I know Kyler has the rare quality to overcome.
I don't know if Drake May has that.
Right.
What would you do is that you want to be in the front office?
No doubt.
General manager, you have the number two pick.
would you get Drake May restart the clock on the quarterback?
Absolutely not.
I'm thinking with Kyler.
And because what Kyler Murray, he has the history.
And this is what I was going to mention with Bryce Young too.
They have a winning history, right?
Like they've won.
High school college roads.
They've won everywhere they were.
And with Kyler, despite, yes, he may have a strong personality.
He may have certain things.
But I feel like, okay, just having him in the building and knowing him, I'm not too
concerned.
But what he does have, like he does have the ability to overcome.
He does have that clutch gene.
Well, there's no question.
He could have a terrible game, but then those last five minutes,
he might give you some action.
You know what I'm saying?
We would all argue that Pete Carroll, McVey and Shanahan,
are three of the top seven coaches in the league.
He got to the playoffs with Cliff Kingsbury.
Don't tell me he's not a good quarterback.
I don't want to hear it.
You said that.
I didn't say it.
No, I'm just, and I got nothing against Cliff,
but the dude got to the playoffs in that division.
Give me a break.
That is an absolute over.
Now, I know you're rolling your eyes,
but my take is the number one trait of,
a franchise quarterback is the ability to overcome.
Even Brady,
outside of the moss years, he didn't have a dominant receiver.
I mean, Brady had stuff to overcome.
Belichick, rigidity, McDaniels,
he had stuff to overcome.
All right, so I'm going to ask, you know the Cowboys.
So Will wants to be in the front office.
I would hire him tomorrow.
I'd keep a close eye on some of your craziness,
with your picks, but I'd hire you tomorrow.
Hey, you've got to be crazy, right?
You'll be mad in some way, right?
But Dallas is interesting.
So they're great at home as a favorite.
They match up with teams.
They won the 12 straight at home, right?
No, they're great.
But situationally, they drive me crazy.
Give me an example.
And to Philadelphia, last two drives.
They don't have any urgency in the second to last drive.
And then on the last drive, what are you doing here?
What are you throwing before the goal line?
You know that's not going to work.
Get over the line.
Philadelphia lined up five defensive backs to pounce on CD Lamb.
Little things.
The 17 seconds, DAC running.
sliding against the Niners.
What are we doing here?
Come on.
What are we doing?
I don't like them situationally.
You were there with this team, this camp.
Yeah, from May to September.
I was there for a long time.
Any warnings, anything you, what did you love about it?
And what did you, would you do differently?
For the offense?
Just the team.
What did you watch?
What culture?
It's an aggressive culture defensively, for sure.
Did you like that part of it?
No, I do.
Like that, especially with Dan Quinn,
like I love the fact that his defense allows.
allows everyone to make plays.
You know, if you're, if you're a pass rusher, there's ways you're going to get highlighted
to pass rush really well.
If you're a corner, you're going to be in situations where you can make a play on the
ball, you know.
As the safety, you're able to survey and you're going to be in the box to make plays.
Also, if you have the range, you know, to go silent the sideline, like you're going
to be able to make plays there.
So I, too, like the aggressive thing there.
It offensively, the old line, especially when Zach came back, Zach Martin, that was
huge because that
group is
obviously the meat and potatoes of
the offense and the thing that was looking to see
get elevated was okay the receiver
group you know especially the emergence of
CD Lamb like my
biggest thing for CD watching him prior
was like yes he's he has the
acrobatics like an OBJ he has all that stuff and I say
he just needs to get stronger and truly
show that he can be like the every down
X and to watch him in practice, like not just practice, but him training.
Like, he took everything seriously.
And I think the acquisition of Brandon Cook's help because there is, there's not a more
professional guy I've been around than Brandon Cooks, like what he brought to that team,
him and Gilmore, both true professionals.
So, but yeah, in terms of strategic, like, it's, Mike always had a, he always had a,
just a balanced offense, you know, he's like, look, I want to try to have long drives
and keep my defense fresh.
When they come in, they can just pin their ears back
and go after the team as well, too.
So I get it what people, they just want,
fly down field, put up 50 points that they can.
That's not who Mike is.
Yeah, and he's like, look, we're going to be efficient
and we're going to go win games.
And something Mike does well, he does well winning games.
His percentage is one of the highest right now.
And I'm not mad.
I don't mind the balanced offense,
and then you have a defense that can go out there
and get it done.
But the hard thing is too is sometimes if you are able to calm down a balance offense
and they're not hitting explosives, now it's like, okay, we got to now get in our other
duffel bag of explosive play.
So that's the part where it could backfire.
I can see that.
Yeah.
All right.
Finally, Dion Sanders.
Yes.
He says, I'm not built for the NFL.
He said he's not built for the NFL.
Is he?
I think he would do fine.
because he won't have to do so more as mentoring.
I think him, especially I've, you know, I've known Dion since I've been in the NFL.
We had the same agent.
He trained before the Combine.
I did all his youth camps when he was coaching high school and stuff like that.
So I have a really cool relationship with Dion.
And just from him coaching high school or even Pop Warner having his camps, having Prime
U, like he was all about like the mentorship part.
So when you are a college coach, you are getting, as a parent, they're giving you their child to help them continue to develop and grow and be an outstanding young man.
And I feel like to the NFL, if you got to the NFL, that part wouldn't have to be so much that.
He'll just be there trying to build a culture.
And now with the NFL being extremely young, I think that him building that culture would be more suited, you know, because I think they'll...
Would you listen to an owner who was impulsive?
It would have to be a good situation though.
He wouldn't go to a place where him and the owner are going to be.
Yeah, I mean, by the way, I think owners have gotten richer.
Coaches' salaries are rounding errors.
I think owners have never been.
I don't remember a time when I thought owners were crazier in the NFL.
Right.
Because they have so much money now.
It's one thing if you're worth $600 million.
You don't want to write a $44 million check to get rid of a coach.
When I'm worth $2.9 billion, the poorest owner in the NFL,
NFL is worth a billion. That's, I think, Mike Brown of the Bengals. Packers don't have an owner.
The average owners worth $7 billion. $40 million to get another coach is a rounding error.
You make that on the market, your company in the day. Right. And I think, too, like being a head coach,
sure, you hire someone who's probably a really good coordinator or have you, but people forget,
that person also has to be a CEO. And so that's why it is important when you become a head coach.
Who do you hire? Who do you bring on as your staff? So I think, Deon, the people,
depending on who he brought with him to coach,
I think he would be a really good CEO, you know, as a head coach.
He's proven that at college.
Yeah, like me, if I were to be a head coach,
I'm going to make sure I bring some ammo in terms of, like, who's coaching
because I think overall I'd be good at, like, managing, like, a whole team.
But, like, for me to, like, actually sit there and be the one calling plays
and have to manage, that would be tough.
One more question.
Jordan Love, you've been a Packer.
I've been a Packer.
They don't have an owner.
I've got a tattooed on my leg.
They wear dockers.
there. They're very nice people.
Who wears dockers?
Everybody in Green Bay, the whole town. You don't do that.
Yes, they do. Everyone does not wear dockers.
They eat pizza.
They wear dokers here at L.A.
Nobody I know.
Cackies. The point being, they've got a
Midwest ethos.
They go to shopping malls. They're very
normal people. Go to shopping malls.
What's last time you been in the Green Bay?
They go to the Wisconsin Dell Mall.
That is ridiculous.
Okay.
Yes.
See, yes. When I was there, when I was there,
last. It's been a long time. Sure, they were chain restaurants and they were shopping malls.
No, no. Right. And they go to breakfast at Pizza Hut every day. That's who they are and I love them for it.
Don't do that. Don't say that while I'm on the show. Are they freaking out about Jordan Love?
Because they know it doesn't work. They're freaking out, aren't they? Behind, you know that organization. There's no owner.
I don't know the organization. But they, those dockers get real tight. Jordan Love's not playing well.
I'm not. What? Am I wrong? Yes.
that's messed up, man.
What?
Where are you from again?
Are you from Washington?
Hey, is that what he's from?
The big city.
Yeah.
Big city.
People don't be like, oh, everyone's ugly because they got messy hair because of the rain.
They don't say that.
I didn't see anybody as ugly.
I said they were dockers.
No, that was not wearing tight dockers.
Some are loose.
The point being, are they freaking out right now?
They are.
I don't think they're freaking out.
I think they're just
they're not sure
Green Bay is a place where they
trust what's going on in the front
office usually and I think
they trust their people they were
and it was it was hard
I was there again we said it several times
when Fav left we're like
okay but
you know we knew like who we had in terms of
with Aaron. How about this? Aaron leaves
he's hurt Green Bay tries love
it doesn't work
by and large
in the NFL.
If it's working,
don't get a divorce.
Aaron would have been better off to stay.
Not working in New York.
The O-line stinks.
If he came back tomorrow,
be running for his life,
one receiver.
Green Bay's got love,
doesn't work at all.
They should have just stayed together.
By the way,
that's most couples.
If you're not throwing pots and pans
at each other, make it work.
Get therapy.
I'm divorced.
Who am I talking about?
The point being,
I look at Green Bay,
and I look at Aaron and Green Bay,
and my takeaways,
they should have stayed together.
It worked.
They won't like...
Listen.
Once Guna Coo's win got his guy, that was it.
He went and got his quarterback.
You'd bail on him?
Huh?
He said, watch him at practice.
Nope.
He went and got his guy.
And as you know, Aaron fell a certain type of way.
He poured his three fingers of tequila.
Is that what it was?
Whatever he does.
I don't know.
He's a pushback guy.
I don't mind.
He's not. He's a pushback.
You are a pushback guy.
No, no, I'm a conformist.
I'm a conformist.
A conformist?
Yeah. He's contrarian. I'm a conformist.
I'm a rule false.
follower. I haven't had a speeding ticket in like 25 years. Yeah, because you probably say I'm
Colin Calhard. No, I don't. And they wouldn't care. Probably some of the people here.
You probably get a ticket if you said that. No, I don't play that game. I'm a conformist.
Aaron's a contrarian and I, you know what? You never name drop. Nope, don't do it. I'm not into it.
First of all, this name doesn't get me very far. Trust me on that. It doesn't get me. I'm making a,
no, I wouldn't get that either. You know, maybe I'll get a cop. You probably got pull over.
like, look, what's your business?
I'll give you a free shout out.
I just pointed this and go, seen this moneymaker?
I'll be on my way.
Yeah, I mean,
but he did say like he wasn't sure, right?
And then he just moved off.
He just said that.
He said about Jordan, he said, wasn't sure.
Those not exact words.
No, they're not.
It doesn't work.
It's okay.
It doesn't work.
All right, I got to get that.
We went a little long.
You defended Green Bay.
I love that loyalty.
That's part of your makeup that I love.
I have a packer tattoo.
on my calf, man.
Let me see it.
No.
Let me see it.
I got jeans on.
You had Dockers on.
All right, we got to, let's go to JMAX.
New sponsor, Dockers.
No, no, no, no.
Turn on the news.
This is the Herd Line News.
Dang, I wanted to grill Mr. Cotton Dockers over here
about that Arizona comment that he had.
Yeah, I would keep Kyler Murray.
So I think it's a hard call.
No, I don't think that's how it works.
You can't walk in the building.
Yep, in the interview.
Yep, I'm keeping Kyler.
You got to gather.
information from team leaders.
But again, he is.
This division has McVeigh, Carol Shanahan, great players.
He had bad owner.
He had the poorest owner, a front office that people were hitting miss on, a coach
that had a losing college record.
He got him to the playoffs.
Okay.
Every year.
One season.
He got better every year.
Yes, the first three years.
Then there was the embarrassing playoff game against Aaron Donald, where he basically
sat out because he didn't want to get hurt by Donald.
He didn't get the bag yet, and he's like, I'm hurt.
I'm not.
And last year they blame it on Kingsbury, then Kyler gets hurt.
If I had the bag staring at me and I had laryngitis.
What would you do?
You would get somebody?
You would get May of Haley?
I would go around the building, gather intel about Kyler.
Hey, what about this homework?
Well, yeah.
What's the full story there?
For sure.
But here's the thing.
But are you your initial thought?
Are you getting Caleb or Drake?
So I unfortunately was able to become friendly with someone who was in the organization
and the stories I heard about Kyler are not positive.
And I would, I immediately moved off of them.
I would instantly try to trade him for whatever.
whatever I could get and move on to Drake Mae.
It's not that hard.
I don't think they'll get the number one pick.
Now, Caleb Williams, I probably move off because I think he's a uniquely special player.
Drake May, I wouldn't.
I think about every three years or four years, you get a guy and you're like, yeah, that, Trevor Lawrence, luck.
You're like, yeah, that's going to work.
But it's less about the quarterback.
It's the team building.
Kyler's cap hit will prevent you from going out and spending in free agency.
Drake May's on the rookie deal for five years.
And what if he can't play a lick?
Come on.
Can't play a lick?
Every single person who evaluates quarterback says Drake May is the man.
I was lectured when I said, I don't know on Justin Fields.
I'm 60-40.
Doesn't look like it's working.
And that kid, I was lectured on that.
Were you, Will, or no, Drake May?
I love Jake May.
Yeah, I think he's great.
Again, it's hard because you have to, I evaluate between the ears,
not so much like the ability.
Everyone can throw, right?
Everyone can make plays off script, but it's like those moments, right?
You can, as I mentioned earlier, you can have a terrible game.
And then the last five minutes, like Mahomes, Mahomes could have a horrible game.
And then he'll have 95 yards past him.
Those 95 yards came when it mattered, you know, versus like some people can have an outstanding game.
But then the last five minutes, like they don't, yeah.
Burrow is the classic.
He's better late than early.
He just is.
Burroughs just outstanding.
Why don't we just take a break and go to your picks?
I'm more interested in that anyway.
Yeah, okay.
Sure.
I didn't like your Kyler take.
Let's just take a break.
Wow.
I got friends telling me stuff.
They got out of here with that stuff.
You know what I mean?
Between that take and those doctors, I need some time.
By the way, Will already told me, one of his first calls is to me because of my analytics background.
So just putting you on notice.
What analytics background?
You know, I'm good with numbers.
My wife was an econ major.
We just talk about numbers all the time.
My wife was an econ major.
Your wife was?
No, his wife was.
So she's better at numbers.
He's just.
Well, it's rubbed off on it.
Oh, we, when you married, we.
Yes.
The other part is the part I would trust on that stuff.
Don't you going to go to commercial?
Yeah.
When your business reaches a certain scale, challenges surface.
How about a tailored solution?
Go to net suite.com slash herd.

Imagine an Olympics where doping is not only legal but encouraged.
It's the enhanced games.
Some call it grotesque.
Others say it's unleashing human potential.
Either way, the podcast's Superhuman documented it all,
embedded in the games and with the athletes for a full year.
Within probably 10 days, I'd put on 10 pounds.
I was having trouble stopping the muscle growth.

A win is a win.
A win is a win.
I don't care what I'm saying.
Yep, that's me, Clifford Taylor the 4th.
You might have seen the skits, the reactions,

or my career in sports media.

this platform became bigger than I ever imagined.

VMAs? Or when Kanye said that George Bush didn't like black people. I know what you're thinking.
What the hell does George Bush got to do with Little Kim? Well, you can find out on the Look
Back at it podcast. I'm Sam J. And I'm Alex English. Each episode, we pick a here,
unpack what went down, and try to make sense of how we survived it. Including a recent episode,
with Mark Lamont Hill waxing all about crack in the 80s.
To be clear, 84 was big to me, not just because of crack.
I'm down to talk about crack all day, but just so you all know.
I mean, at this point, Mark, this is the second episode where we've discussed crack,
so I'm starting to see that there's a through line.
We also have AIDS on the table right now, so.
Thank you for finishing that sentence.
Yes.
I don't think there's a more important year for black people.
Really?
Yeah.
For me, it's one of the most important years for black people in American history.

Here we go, week 10, J-Max predictions.
He's been very, very good this year.
Are you ready to go?
Yeah, just tell him you vomited during the break looking at the games I'm picking this week.
You take the ugliest corner TV games.
I don't even want to watch most of these.
That's how you're profitable.
All right.
Tomorrow's headlines today.
Saints against the Vikings and Josh Dawes.
Is this one you don't want to watch?
I mean, listen, Saints kicked me in the teeth last week with the non-cover.
Brutal stuff.
The headline here will be.
Smile.
You're on Kamara.
Saints run game gets flashy.
This is the Saints' offense starting to round into form.
I know they didn't get the cover last week.
Colin, 14 red zone possessions the last three weeks.
All Dennis Allen needs to do is be like, hey, let's get the ball to Tate some Hill,
who's having a sneaky, great season if you have him in fantasy.
I mean, I just don't trust Derek Carr throwing passes in the red zone.
I know last week he had two touchdowns, but he is the worst quarterback throwing inside the 10-yard line this season.
Just been a disaster.
I think the Vikings come down a little bit off the big Josh Dobbs game.
My big concern here is, you know, Dobbs ran for like 66 yards last week against the Falcons.
and the Saints, they let Bejant rush for 70.
Trevor Lawrence had like 59.
I think they'll get that under control, but it's a beat-up Vikings team.
Addison's hurt, Hawkinson's hurt, Osborne is banged up.
Derisal missed the game, the left tackle.
I like the Saints here in a close one, but they'll cover two and a half.
Tomorrow's headlines today.
Buccaneers Titans, what say you?
Come on.
Will Levis?
You're not feeling that?
And Baker Mayfield downsliding?
The headline will be Latatooie.
Titans, Jimrat gets cooking.
Look at the gun show from your guy.
Will Levis.
Listen, I think he could have a big one.
We saw Stroud put up 470 and five touchdowns last week.
Why can't Will Levis have this same success against a really, really putrid Tampa defense?
Tampa hasn't won since the byweek.
You know, Bowles is kind of, we'll see about his job.
Baker Mayfield not looking good.
Titans are, I feel like they can be frisky with Levis.
He's now got the keys to the car.
They said Tanna Hills the backup.
I kind of like Tennessee here, Colin.
All right, fair enough.
Tomorrow's headlines today.
I think I know where you're going with this.
Brown's getting a lot of points against the Ravens.
This would have been my favorite bet.
We'll find that out shortly.
But I feel irrationally confident in this one.
The headline will be, what's on?
What's off?
Ravens sweep the leg, Johnny.
I know you're a big karate kid guy.
Listen, this is a tough spot for Deshawn Watson going on the road
down both starting tackles.
I know.
Against a team that leads.
the NFL in sacks. Ravens defense, man, listen, this kid McDonald, who was at Michigan,
he's calling some great stuff. They're mixing coverages, they're mixing blitzes. And listen,
listen, I did like Deshawn Watson four years ago. He was awesome. Colin, he's just not the same
dude. He's not. And it's not like Nick Chubbs in the backfield here. This is Jerome Ford
and whoever the hell else they're handing off to. I don't know that the Ravens open up a can
like they did last week destroying Seattle, but divisional matchups tend to be close. I just, I
cannot see Cleveland's offense doing any damage.
I think Lamar has success.
I think the Ravens win here handily.
They're number one in the league.
All right.
Next two were my picks.
So let's see where you go.
Tomorrow's headlines today, Sam Howell and the commanders go to the Pacific Northwest.
Listen, Sam Howell's been a very on, off, up and down.
There's something there.
We'll see.
The headline will be.
Play it again, Sam.
Howell hits wrong notes.
Look at Sam Howell there at the piano.
Colin, this is going to be very tough game for him.
Seattle on the road.
Remember, two straight road games, and now you go, New England, not great.
Now you go to Seattle, very angry team, as you noted, coming off the loss.
And Gino Smith has been a talking point.
So he has six interceptions and two fumbles in the last four games.
Well, what's happened in the last four games?
Well, two of them were against the Ravens and Browns, the two best defenses statistically in the NFL.
Now he faces a bottom five defense in Washington.
I think Gino gets right.
I saw this stat.
has given up 22 pass plays of 25 or more yards.
Also, yeah, they have, and now Chase Young's gone.
Montez Sweat.
Those are really high-end players.
I'm worried about the backdoor cover, six and a half.
You know, Howell slinging it.
He's not going to stop, assuming he's upright.
Listen, Seattle could be coming after him with the blitzes.
I think Seattle wins here comfortably.
Gino Smith is the big factor.
Did you see the news that a couple hours ago,
Seattle picked up Brett Rippin from the Rams for their
practice squad. They play the Rams next week.
Probably some gamesmanship, but I wonder,
hey, Gino, listen, we're not benching you for
Drew Locke or Brett Rippin, but we're
keeping a look eye on quarterbacks.
Gino has to deliver here. I think he does.
Tomorrow's headlines today, finally,
Giants against the boys.
How about them, cowboys?
Yeah, this is one of those. I joke about the kids
college tuition and, you know,
on games. Listen, I think I'm four and two
so far this season on really big games.
This one's dangerous because it's a big spread.
The headline,
B. Cool Ranch DeVito's. Boys enjoy Big Blue snack. Listen, Tommy DeVito, statistically one of the worst quarterbacks in the league. Against the Jets.
I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like this. They will not throw the ball past the line of scrimmage.
Well, they have to this week because he's starting. I think I saw it like it's, this is the ninth rookie starting quarterback. This is crazy. I don't even know.
And DAC is a great home favorite. Dak is good. Some of the numbers here. I mean, Dak, they've
beaten the Giants 11 times in a row with DAC and quarterback, 3-0 at home,
average margin of victory at 26 points this season.
The only part of caution here is the biggest favorite to lose outright this season
was Dak and Dallas in Arizona.
Well, that was there, though.
That was there.
And the biggest cover for a dog was Tyrod Taylor getting, I believe, 15 in Buffalo.
Yeah, but Tyrod Taylor can play.
Fair.
We both like Tyrod's, if not the best backup, he's in a short list of best.
back up in the league. There's a world where Kvon Tibido has a strip sack and it's 7-0-0 Giants.
No, I'm not worried at that point. I would be worried if somehow the Giants get to like 17 points and,
you know, but remember, when the Cowboys lost to Arizona, Josh Dobbs is a gamer. Yep.
DeVito's not a game. Danny DeVito's not. Secondly, Dallas was off a dominating win.
They tend to come back to Earth. There. Third, it was in Arizona. I don't know about this
coaching staff, but they're in these games. They play really, really hard. Yeah. That had a lot of
parameters. That was a watchout game. We didn't think Dallas would lose. Dallas just lost.
Dack is playing better. I don't know if they get, I would be shocked. You're going to call me crazy.
If the Giants get more than 11 first downs, what's the over under prop on first downs?
I don't know about first downs. I think they'll get like eight. It's 10 and a half for the Giants.
I would take the under, but again, you get to take Kavon, Tibado, random play or something.
The season opener, when the Giants were healthy, was 40 to nothing Dallas. Okay?
I even looked at special teams.
I'm looking at everything.
How can the giant special teams, according to DVOA,
Dallas is third.
The Giants are 31st.
Like, there is no edge on paper for the Giants.
Divisional matchup is the only way this is close and DAC vomits all over himself.
I don't see it.
Go Cowboys.
I don't say that often, but go Cowboys.
Yeah.
All right.
Hold on.
Let me see here.
Okay.
What do you got a GM text of you there?
Not going to get into it.
Just some recruiting news.
Now, could be a story with Jim Harbaugh.
Big Ten delivering punishment today.
Will Michigan an injunction?
Will Harbaugh fly with a team?
He's supposed to fly with a team this afternoon.
It does feel almost personal by the Big Ten.
Watch Michigan at Penn State tomorrow.
Big noon kickoff.
