This is an IHeart podcast.
Guaranteed Human.
Hey guys, it's us.
The Jonas Brothers. I'm Joe.
I'm Kevin.
And I'm Nick.
And guess what?
We created our own podcast called, Hey Jonas.
We invented a podcast?
Well, we didn't invent it.
We just contributed to it.
We're the first people to do podcasts.
We get to ask other people questions because we're sick and tired of being asked questions.
Well, sick and tired is a strong way to put it.
But, you know, tired and sick.
Tired and sick.
Listen to Hey Jonas on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you.
you get your podcast.
Just listen.
We don't care where you hear it.
Another podcast from some SNL late night comedy guy.
Not quite.
Unhumor me with Robert Smygel and Friends.
Me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman help make you funnier.
This week, my guest, S&L's Mikey Day and head writer, Streeter Seidel, help an
a cappella band with their between songs banter.
Where does your group perform?
We do some retirement homes.
Those people are starving for banter.
Listen to humor me with Robert Smigel and Friends on the ice.

Last night, a blown call changed a game.
This morning, the internet lost its mind, and nobody's telling you exactly what happened.
That's where SportsSlice comes in.
I'm Timbo, and every episode, we're cutting through the noise, breaking down the biggest
moments in sports and giving you the real story behind the headline.
And we're going straight to the source, the athletes themselves, their locker room stories,
their reactions in the moment, and the stuff nobody gets to hear.
Listen to Sports Slice on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast.

Anytime I talk to an executive in the league
and I ask them about their favorite players
universally
every GM
every scouting director I've ever
talked to puts Max Crosby in his top
five and there is something beyond
just leading the NFL and
tackles for losses or
pressures, it's beyond that. It's the attitude.
It's hard to play for teams that lose.
It's easy to be uninspired
and Max, with two X's,
Max Crosby is never uninspired.
And he joins us at the Raiders facility.
It is interesting.
Your journey's fantastic.
It is just,
I was just talking to that Fernando Mendoza kid.
He's,
you know,
he's going to be your number one pick,
and he got beat up at Cal.
He was a low star recruit.
Like,
he didn't get,
like, his journey's fascinating, right?
And then he goes to Kurt Signetti
and Indiana didn't have five-star guys.
Like, and I wonder sometimes
that,
if your journey
is part of why you're successful, like
you play angry. And I think
Brady to the very end
had a chip on his shoulder about being drafted
late. And when you
play for a team that has struggled to win games,
do you still have a little bit of that
little resentment, that little anger
about, oh no, you didn't think I was good
enough. I went to eastern Michigan.
You ever play with that a little bit still, that
motor? Oh, 100%.
You know, that's what gets you up in the morning.
you know, it's that obsession and that passion for the game.
You know, no matter what the score is, that's something I pride myself on because, you know,
I feel like, you know, you mentioned Brady being a six-round pick, myself being a fourth-round pick.
You know, I feel like I always had to fight and go above and beyond to prove myself.
And that's why I feel like I've been able to be at my level for as long as I have
and why I know I'm going to continue getting better because I know in my head, like from the outside,
everyone's like, man, you're killing it, you're doing this and doing that.
And in my head, it's always like, no, like, I know there's another level.
I know there's a DPO Y in my future.
I know there's a Super Bowl.
I know there's first team all pros.
Like, that's what I fight for.
So I could be top five in every category.
And it'll still be something else I'm trying to chase because that's like, that's
what pushes me because I know at one point nobody even wanted me.
And only one school took a chance on me in the whole country.
So that's that, that chip on my shoulder.
That only continues to grow because I know like deep down, you got to earn it and prove it
every single time.
And it's about what you're doing right now.
So the higher you go, the harder it gets, and I'm willing to run that marathon every single time.
When I remember watching a clip of Aaron Donald in his last year, and he was being triple-teamed.
I'm like, it's not even fair.
Like, I understand why I retired.
It's like, okay, white flag, I give up.
You now are the one-rater, although I've said this before, I think your defense, if healthy, is going to be pretty interesting next year.
I think you've got some really talented dudes.
are there times you feel like now that you've arrived you get doubled you get chipped
are there are i mean are there times it's frustrating at all
yeah i mean yeah like i would say at first when i you know first started really you know
having that type of success in the nfl um right you know after that first breakout year
everyone starts keying in on you so initially you're like damn i'm just trying to get a one-on-one
or trying to get more one-on-one opportunities.
And in your head, you're like, damn, like,
I'm not going to have as many one-on-ones as I usually do.
But after, like, you get used to it and you just understand,
like, that's the ultimate respect in this game.
You know, every single week, I know they got to put a red circle around me
and say, listen, we got to stop this guy.
Like, that's the ultimate respect.
That's when you know you've gotten to the level that you need to be at
and that you have to continue getting better
because it gets harder when you got constant chips in the run game and past game
and they're running away from me 90% of the time.
It's like, that's when you know,
know you're doing something right. But at the same time, you have to just be level-headed and stay
calm because if you start just freaking out and getting frustrated, you'll start losing yourself
and not playing your best ball. So, you know, I have guys on my team, Malcolm Coons all the time.
You know, he started having more success and he started getting chipped a little bit more. And he's
like, Max, I don't know how you do it, bro. And I'm like, I'm like, listen, I said you can't let
it frustrate you. You got to keep going because the one time you get that one-on-one and you're not
ready for it, you're not, you think you're going to get chipped or whatever, that's when you
might miss that opportunity to go get a strip sack or go make a game changing play. So you've got to
just, you know, be locked in and tunnel vision when that stuff is going down. Yeah, I mean,
think about that. If you get one sack a game, you're a first ballot Hall of Famer in your
cover of just one. You can get, you can get tossed around like a crouton and a salad bowl
for three hours and you get one great sack and you're a Hall of Famer. You know, there's,
there's a bunch of stories because you're such a high profile player, Tom Brady's part owner,
Here comes Fernando Mendoza.
You're in the news now all the time.
So I don't know what's true, what's not.
Here's what I'll ask.
Where are you today with the Raiders?
Where's your mind at?
What are your thoughts?
I don't know.
What I read, true, what I read, that you're in the news all the time.
So just lay it out there.
Where are you with the Raiders?
Yeah, you know, it's funny.
I'm glad you brought it up because, you know, it's like, Dan, if you do,
Dan, if you don't.
You know, for me, in the past, I've loved.
learn, you know, being too vocal and too involved with trying to make, you know, I want this
coach or I want this. Like, I've learned my lessons and I've learned from that. And like, that's not
my job. My job is to be the best player I can possibly be, be that guy in the locker room every
single day, the leader. That's who I am to my core. That's all I love. That's all I care about
and love is being the best version of myself in that locker room and on the field on Sundays
and in practice and doing all those in the weight room, leading from the front, not talking and, you know,
not leading every day. I do it every single day. So that's,
what my importance is.
And nowadays, you know, especially like this past year,
year and a half, like, I'm not talking about stuff like that
because that's not my job.
And I've been advised, hey, Max, I think it would be best,
you know, some of the best mentors in my life, Max, just,
I know you care a lot, you're obsessive about it, you want to win no matter what,
like, but some, you can't control everything.
And I've learned that.
So now that I be quiet, now that I'm quiet, now I got random people making big
statements for me.
And they're like, oh, Max must have told them this.
And this guy, for me.
me, I just sit back and laugh because I know my truth. And when I go to bed at night, I have
a smile on my face because I don't have to explain nothing to nobody. I've said it over and over
again. I'm getting healthy. I'm in the building every single day. I'm in this building before
6 a.m. It is dark out. And I am in here until almost 2 o'clock, almost eight hours. I'm
putting in straight work, rehab, and lifting, getting prepared for next season. Like, that's all that I
care about. So all the noise, it's news to me sometimes. I got up yesterday. I looked at my phone, or two days ago,
I look at my phone and all of a sudden now I got a bunch of PR people talking about what they, you know, what Max is doing and it.
It's like, I just laugh because if I address it, then someone's going to pick apart what I say there.
So it's a lose, lose.
I'm just going to keep doing what I'm doing.
I'm getting healthy.
I'm going to be the best version of myself upcoming this year.
And I'm going to put myself in the best position to do that.
And that's by taking care of myself and being the best version of myself on a daily basis.
My family's good.
My wife is doing incredible.
My baby girl's three.
She's running the house.
Life is incredible.
So I just try not to, you know, address certain things because no matter what,
someone's going to pick it apart and make it some way.
So I'll let people do their talking.
All I'm about is my actions.
And my actions, everyone knows what my actions are.
I do the same thing every single day.
And I'm going to be the hardest worker on the planet every single time.
So that's all I care about.
you played New England earlier this year and beat them.
And I can remember the intensity of the games.
Your corners, Drake May was young.
And I remember saying on the air, I think New England's going to get really good,
but they got a lot of new players, they got a lot of free agent money.
They didn't look quite organized yet.
What do you remember about, I think that game was in Foxboro.
What do you remember about that one?
Yeah, yeah, that was week one.
You know, we're playing a team with a new head coach.
They got a young quarterback.
They have Josh McDaniels, obviously, I'm very familiar with.
And Pat, you know, Pat Graham, our D coordinator, was hired by, you know, Josh to be the guy.
So Pat knew him really well.
So I felt like, you know, going to that game, we're extremely confident.
And we went on the road and got like a convincing win, you know what I mean?
And after that game, we're like, okay, you know, we were supposed to do that.
Obviously, after that, it didn't really, you know, season didn't go the way we expected.
But that's a testament to Mike Grable and that whole staff, Josh McDaniels, Drake May.
They obviously took a lot of guys from my team that all some of my favorite teammates,
Roberts Phelaine, Tramon, Chason, Matt Collins, like all the closest guys that I have are all gone now and in the damn Super Bowl.
So it's really, really dope to see.
But I'm happy for them, you know, the competitor of me, you know, I obviously want to be playing right now, not sitting here.
As much as I love you, Con, I would not, you know, I'd rather be in the Super Bowl getting ready to go play.
But those are my guys.
So I know the type of guys that they brought over there.
They're culture guys, guys that love the game.
Yeah.
And that are going to go out there and do exactly what they need to do.
And that whole team, you can see they're all on the same page.
They're not doing anything crazy, flashy.
They're not going out there running a bunch of wild, exotic looks.
They're out there executing and not losing the games.
They're taking care of the ball.
And they're playing really good complimentary football.
and that's why they're in the Super Bowl.

Hey, it's us, the Jonas Brothers. And guess what? We have some big news. What's the news?
Huge news. We created our own podcast called Hey Jonas. We invented a podcast. Well, we didn't invent it.
We just contributed to a first people to do podcasts. Pretty, yeah, pretty wide range of podcasts.
We're starting a trend. But this one's extra special. So how do we actually come up with a name,
Hey Jonas, guys.
I honestly don't remember.
I think it was on a call about what we should call it.
Oh, we were thinking I'm originally calling it
one of the early names of our band.
Before Jonas Brothers was...
This is how you guys remember it going down?
Yes.
I have a very different memory of this.
We were talking about a thing, a bit for the podcast
where people could call in and say, hey, Jonas.
And then I wrote down on my little notepad, Hey, Jonas.
And offered it up as a potential title for the podcast.
But thanks for remembering that, guys.

Jacob Kingston grew up in an isolated polygamist sect.
We were God's chosen kingdom on earth. He felt destined for greatness.
So when a swaggering Armenian businessman catapults Jacob into an extraordinary world,
he doesn't look back.
Ferraris and Lamborghinis, private jets.
meeting the president of Turkey.
I'm Michelle McPhee,
and this is one of the most shocking criminal conspiracies I've ever come across.
When Jacob met Levant, this went to a billion dollar fraud.
But with two kings from entirely different worlds,
just how long can their empire survive?
The largest tax investigation in American history.
You need to tell me what you know.
Is somebody coming after me?

The French Open is one of the toughest tests in tennis, and I know firsthand because I competed
there myself.
I'm Renee Stubbs, and on the Renee Stubbs Tennis podcast, I'm breaking down everything happening
at Roland Garris, every match, every upset, and what it really takes to win on clay.
Jen Chinch win.
I mean, she went down in three to.
Rabakina, but I'm delighted.
She's an outsider to win the French for me.
And she likes Clay.
Listen, Lerner Rabakina is arguably the best player in the world right now.
And I actually can win on any surface.
Because if she's serving, well, good luck.
Consider this your court side seat to the French Open.

Presented by Capital One, founding partner of IHeart Women's Sports.
How is your rehab going?
Phenomenal.
It's going incredible.
Like I said, you know, it's everyday process.
You can't look too far down the road.
You're going to, you know, go crazy and it can get difficult.
But you just got to stay in the moment.
And I'm absolutely killing it.
I'm ahead of schedule.
And it's business as usual.
You know, so unfortunately it's been my eighth surgery.
Eighth surgery in seven years.
And it's something that I've gotten used.
too. But like I said, you know, it's all about perspective, how you approach what you want to
accomplish. For me, I'm willing to run that marathon. And like you said, you know, I heard you on
the broadcast, you know, a guy that the future Hall of Fame or a guy, a Super Bowl champion,
a defense player of the year, that's all still in the forefront and in my future. And the people
that doubt that, I appreciate it. And it's going to continue motivating me and the ones that believe
it. I'm excited to show y'all the best version of myself, you know, in the near future.
you got great energy.
I'm sorry that I made you.
Oh, you're working with Sacks underwear, aren't you?
Oh, yeah.
Yep, yeah, Sacks underwear.
You know, I've been working with them for a few years now.
We got a couple limited edition underwear out there right now.
I got my dogs on it.
You know, I'm a big pit bull guy.
So I got my three dogs featured on the underwear.
Go get that right now.
And the other pair, I got my logo on it, you know, represent my brand.
But Sacks underwear, best in the world.
I wear it every single day.
And we're going to continue building.
So appreciate it, Colin.
Good seeing you, buddy.
We'll spot each other at a UFC fight soon.
Absolutely.
You call me anytime.
You're the man, man.
All right.
Max Crosby.
Just, again, just what did you hear there?
Gratitude, humility, people doubting me, gratitude.
For the record, remember this week we were, when Bow Nix and Sean Payton went back and forth at each other about the surgery.
And I remember I sat on the air, I said,
you really have no idea how many surgeries these guys have.
I had no idea Max Crosby had eight surgeries.
These guys get cleaned up almost every year.
I mean, you can't play certain positions in this league and not get annual surgeries.
I will stand by this.
Do whatever you have to do in your life to get a sideline pass once to an NFL game.
my takeaway is
how do you get to the end of a season
like this Super Bowl and almost everybody's healthy?
How? How is it possible?
It's like just trains colliding strong athletes.
And one of the ways is you get cleaned up fast.
These guys are mid-season surgeries.
I always defend officials.
It's easy to watch a game on TV
and think you know what the
call is, those officials get it once
and you think a lot of guys are like,
man, I wonder if I could play like just one series
in the NFL.
Eight surgeries, Max Crosby,
and he's one of the physically dominant players.
He's hitting people.
They're not hitting him.
He's hitting them blindsided.
Yeah.
Do we take a break or is it J-MAC?
J-MAC with a news.
No, no, no, no.
on the news.
This is the herd line news.
All right, let's revisit the MVP.
Matt Stafford edges out.
Drake May narrowly 24, 23 in first round votes.
Obviously, Stafford had a great season.
And then during his acceptance speech,
he confirmed what we had on this show.
Colin, we talk about Stafford, you know, being an LA guy.
He's coming back next season.
Shouldn't surprise anybody.
Obviously, his cap hit is significant,
but it's not like Lamar Jackson or Josh Allen.
I would say they go into next season as the NFC favorites.
Well, they have only one or two things to really address.
They probably got to get a corner.
We've talked about a corner or two.
I know they want to address the offensive tackle spot.
Special teams?
Special teams get a more dependable return game.
But most of their stuff is, I mean, I could see them giving away,
giving up picks, mid-round picks to get more.
for next year because they have two first round picks and they're going to address you know they
they probably have to get a little faster at linebacker fortify their tackle position maybe another
receiver another absolutely good call another receiver the number one need and they've never um
they don't draft corners high they just don't and last year it was the one position they didn't draft
if you know how you go before drafts and it'll say what teams need and corner was like they
their number one need, I thought, and they didn't address it.
Well, it came back to burn them.
And that's when they went and got Forbes to try to put a band-aid on it.
And he, I don't even know if he played any snaps in one of those playoff games.
He was so bad down the stretch.
Yeah.
So, I mean, they're, they're, they need two or three things.
And that's about it.
They are, they are, there's not much to fortify.
Corner is the one thing they've got to address and probably right tackle.
Let me ask you about this MVP vote real quick.
So Stafford wins.
Very narrowly. closest voting since McNair and Peyton Manning tied.
One voter gave Justin Herbert a first place vote.
And Patriots fans are outraged.
How could you do that?
If you had just not voted Herbert and given May a vote,
Drake May would have either tied or won.
I'm just curious.
Justin Herbert got a first place vote.
I know you're bullish on Stafford in May.
I don't think he's worthy of a first place vote.
How many votes are there?
Do you have top five, top three?
I could see putting him three because he took a good.
the worst offensive line in the league to a playoff game,
which is almost impossible.
But what about first?
I would not give him a first place vote.
I don't think he was productive enough.
And again, I'm not, there's reasons for that.
I think he's worthy of consideration to put on a ballot.
But I don't think I could get to one or two.
So this is huge.
Before you bet MVP for the Super Bowl,
remember the media votes on this stuff.
the media is influenced by storylines.
Okay?
Sam Darnold's like the number one storyline in the Super Bowl.
I don't think he has to do much to win an MVP.
Justin Herbert's storyline, Colin, he didn't have his tackles.
And he was pretty damn heroic.
He was unbelievable Eagles game.
Remember that Primetime game?
By the way, you get a rank five.
You get five players MVP.
I think it's a little.
Herbert's not a front.
If you put him third or fourth because of,
I'm sure the voter said, this guy took the 30-second O line and made the playoffs.
That's absolutely worthy of being on the ballot.
Absolutely worthy.
First, I don't think so.
It's too far.
Okay.
The second story is Cleveland Brown's defensive coordinator, Jim Schwartz,
who had a tremendous season, has officially resigned after he was passed over for the head coaching job.
It went to Todd Munkin.
Schwartz is expected to sit out the 2026 season, or maybe he resurfaces.
Maybe this claim, I'm going to rest out, sit out the season.
I like coaches that Brable did it.
I think sitting out a gap year.
Yeah, I mean, there's going to be another eight.
There were 10 openings this year.
There's going to be another eight to 10 next year.
Now, there is some chatter that the Raiders DC opening as of this moment is still available.
And there's chatter that maybe Schwartz goes to Vegas.
He did have the defensive player of the year, Miles Garrett, and the defensive rookie of the year,
Carson Schweinstein, the linebacker from, I believe, UCLA.
He had a good defense.
He knows defense, obviously.
just maybe not a head coach he had that run that was quite terrible.
But if he lands with the Raiders, fan.
That's pretty good staff.
Yeah.
I mean, Fernando.
I think Raiders might be like my fourth favorite team in the league next year.
I mean, listen, you get infused with a couple hundred million dollars.
Go ask New England.
They spent over $200 million.
It's amazing how you can shore up your defensive line.
Quickly.
Yeah, I mean, the Patriots had a lot of issues last year.
They did not.
I mean, they addressed the O line left tackle.
They didn't solidify.
It's still below average O'Line.
Other than that, they short up all their weaknesses.
Certainly.
Finally, let's go to the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
It's official.
The 2006 class was inducted last night.
Drew Brees and Larry Fitzgerald got in there as first ballot Hall of Famers.
Easy.
They were joined by Luke Keekley, the linebacker from Carolina.
Adam Vinatieri, the kicker.
And they were in their second years of eligibility.
And Roger Craig was the seniors finalist.
we will not reference a certain coach that didn't get in or owner here let's just your thoughts on these gentlemen yeah i mean i think
they're i mean roger craig was a very versatile back um i mean breeze fitzgerald keakley are obvious
i have no problem with kickers i've said before i think kickers are draftable they're your leading score
i mean this super bowl if i said oh we had three field goals it was decided by a field goal you'd be like oh yeah
i mean even bradies you know his career he had great field
goal and special teams help. So I don't have a problem with any of them. I mean, Roger Craig,
I watched a lot of Roger Craig. There's been arguments for a long time. The Super Bowls are
inter, I mean, you know, Aaron Donald will be a Super Bowl and Roger Craig will. And you could say,
well, Aaron was a much better player, but Roger Craig had a lot of influence on those Niner
teams. It wasn't just Montana and Jerry Rice. He had a lot of influence to the office. He did a lot
thing. He was on, they had a stack deck. Montana, Rice, Taylor, the tight end, Dwight Clark.
I love watching Roger Craig, the high stepping, you know, like it was exciting.
Those diners teams, that was the first dynasty, I believe I remember in sports.
You know, like mid-80s, they were just unstoppable.
And they were also, you know, like a lot of dynasties, they were really well-owned and well-coached.
It was just a smart operation.
And as an East Coast guy, it was always like California cool, the Niners, you know, they're on TV sometimes.
Yeah, fun times.

Hey, it's us, the Jonas Brothers, and guess what?
We have some big news.
What's the news, new?
Huge news.
We created our own podcast called, Hey, Jonas.
We invented a podcast?
Well, we didn't invent it.
We just contributed to it.
We're the first people to do podcasts.
Pretty, yeah, pretty wide range of podcasts.
We're starting a trend.
But this one's extra special.
So how do we actually?
to come up with a name Hey Jonas, guys.
I honestly don't remember.
I think it was on a call about what we should call it.
Well, we were thinking I'm originally calling it one of the early names of our band.
Before Jonas Brothers was...
This is how you guys remember it going down?
Yes.
I have a very different memory of this.
We were talking about a thing, a bit for the podcast,
where people could call in and say, hey, Jonas.
And then I wrote down on my little notepad, Hey Jonas,
and offered it up as a potential title for the podcast.
But thanks for remembering that, guys.

Another podcast from some SNL late-night comedy guy,
not quite.
Unhumor me with Robert Smygel and friends.
Me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman
help make you funnier.
This week, my guest, SNL's Mikey Day and head writer,
Streeter Seidel, help an a cappella band with their between songs banter.
Where does your group perform?
We do some retirement homes.
Those people are starving for banter.

Imagine an Olympics where doping is not only legal but encouraged.
It's the enhanced games.
Some call it grotesque.
Others say it's unleashing human potential.
Either way, the podcast's Superhuman documented it all,
embedded in the games and with the athletes for a full year.
Within probably 10 days, I'd put it.
on 10 pounds.

Jacob Kingston grew up
in an isolated polygamous sect.
We were God's chosen,
kingdom on earth.
He felt destined for greatness.
So when a swaggering
Armenian businessman catapults
Jacob into an extraordinary world,
he doesn't look back.
Ferraris and Lamborghinis,

the president of Turkey.
I'm Michelle McPhee, and this is one of the most shocking criminal conspiracies I've ever come across.
When Jacob met Levin this went to a billion dollar fraud.
But with two kings from entirely different worlds, just how long can their empire survive?
The largest tax investigation in American history.
You need to tell me what you know. Is somebody coming after me?
Jacob told Levan, you're ruining my life.

I mean, she went down in three to Roboc.
But I'm delighted.
She's an outsider to win the French for me.
And she likes Clay.
Listen, Lerabakhina is arguably the best player in the world right now.
And I actually can win on any surface.
Because if she's serving, well, good luck.

Well, it's here finally the final weekend of the 2025 NFL season.
The Big Inchalado Sunday, J. Max got the script.
He knows how it's going to end your final football pick of this season.
I took Seattle to win narrowly.
I took the points.
I like the under in this game.
But now, before we get to the confetti, let's do a little.
Housekeeping here. Let's start with this.
Tomorrow's headlines today.
Headline from the Cowboys
George Pickens next season.
Pickens popping off at Super Bowl Week.
Hey, man, I delivered. I need to get paid.
Let's see. The headline
for George Pickens and the
Cowboys will
be.
Can we see it on the screen? Drum roll, please.
It's a great headline, and I can't believe they're
butchering it. But Pickens
here we go. Picking's pony
club. I'm going to keep on
playing at Jerry World.
Obviously, you know, Chapel Road, a great singer.
I think they're going to tag Pickens.
I think that's obvious, right?
We tag him, we keep him.
You don't want to run the risk of a Brandon Ayuk recap.
Remember what happened to say, friend?
I think DAC makes the receivers, not vice versa.
But they gave up a third round pick, and so they, you know, do you just want to give it up
for one year?
So they probably want to, they want more for their pick.
Yeah, he wants a lot of money, though.
Yeah.
I just don't know if you can do it.
I mean, again, you saw Brandon.
and Iyuk, he begged, he pleaded, he got his money,
and then he just didn't show up, got hurt.
It's over. I don't think it's going that bad,
but the chances of it going sideways
is definitely there. So the tag for Pickens,
lock it up. All right. What is going to be
the headline? Tomorrow's
headlines today. What's going to be
the headline for Super Bowl
60? Seahawks, Patriots,
it's, you know, not what anybody
really expected, but I think the
result is obvious. The headline
for Super Bowl 60 will be.
flock around. Find out.
Pat's attack by bigger, badder, bird.
Give me Seattle here.
You know, the more you look at Seattle, Colin,
they are a dominant team and the Patriots,
I just don't know that they are.
You had the incredible stat.
11 of their 17 opponents.
The coaches were either fired or left.
And they faced a lot of average quarterbacks.
They faced six rookie quarterbacks.
And Michael Pettix, who's a young guy second year quarterback.
So everything lined up for the Patriots.
It was extremely fortuitous.
In the postseason, Drake May was not good.
We'll get to him shortly.
I don't see a great team.
year. I see a team that everything lined up and they perform well. Well, you and I said during the
season, New England feels like there's still one draft away. They feel like they're 10%, 15% in a rebuild
still. I had a schedule. I mean, at the end of the season, they smashed through Jets,
rookie quarterback, and Miami, Quinn Ewers, and everybody got excited. And then in the playoffs,
have you seen anything that you're like, that's it from the Patriots? They beat a backup quarterback
who hadn't taken the staff in two years in the AFC title game. Like, come on. Give me the Seahawks,
big here.
headlines today. What's going to be the headline for the MVP of this baby?
So this one's tough. I have a sleeper we'll go to after this, but I do think there's a slight edge for an MVP.
And the headline for the MVP of Super Bowl 60 will be paw and order. Super Bowl MVP goes to K9, Kenneth Walker.
Now, it's interesting because a lot of people are betting his under for rushing yards because there's mighty Patriots run defense.
I will point out that the Patriots did struggle
against running backs out of the backfield.
They gave up 84 catches to running backs,
fourth worst in the league.
You look at Devin A. Chan from Miami,
caught eight on 10 targets for 92 yards.
Bejohn Robinson, eight on 10 targets for 50 yards.
It seems like the strategy is, hey, we'll give up the catches,
but we've got to tackle in space and not give up the huge play.
Kenneth Walker is a big play merchant.
He's fast, he's tough.
It's going to be interesting because I don't know.
He's not a good blocker.
He comes off the field on pass plays.
And Holani comes in, with it could be some value on him.
I do think that Kenneth Walker has a good enough game,
and in a low-scoring 20-9-type Patriots win or Patriots loss,
I think Kenneth Walker could do enough, get a touchdown, and earn the MVP.
Tomorrow's headlines today, my guy, Sam Darnold, Super Bowl 60,
what's the headline for Slinging Sammy D?
I know they're sending him a montage for you Monday of like five years worth of Sam Darnold
chatter from you.
So we're going to do two headlines because he's so special.
The first one, Sam Darnold, his appearance in the Super Bowl will be boo-hoo.
Donald haunts down his old ghosts.
I think Darnold does enough to win.
Now, Colin, we have a second one.
I'm sure you heard about his iconic grandfather.
Yeah.
Sam Darnold's grandfather.
The headline for that one will be the Marlborough Sam.
Pat smoked by full-flavored red.
Sam Darnold's grandfather is the Marlboro man.
I'm sure you've heard that story.
So we wanted to give you two for Donald.
Colin, I'll just say this.
This is one of the better sports stories we've had in the last couple years.
We had one with Mendoza, obviously.
But Sam Darnold's story of redemption is classic American tale.
I think it's hard to duplicate.
Everybody wants to know who's the next Sam.
It's not going to be one.
People say, Kyler Murray, Small gets hurt.
We don't know if he loves football.
That's not it.
No, no, no, definitely not.
And what he's done with Seattle is just enough.
And I think he's solid here.
I don't think he's going to have a spectacular 300-yard day.
And I think Seattle feels he doesn't have to.
I think if you told me Sam,
doesn't have a touchdown or a pick.
He runs for 45 yards, and he is 18 of 23.
And he's good on third down.
That's enough.
Drake May can't go 18 to 23, zero touchdowns.
I don't think New England can run the ball.
The question is, is Darnold going to be in a lot of those third and longs?
Now, they did struggle in the red zone this year.
You've articulated that.
They did.
They were okay.
And I just worry if they're going to get enough margin to pull away,
and Sam's not going to be pressured in the fourth.
Because, you know, I don't know, Donald.
You know him.
We haven't seen him.
Hey, fourth quarter, buckle down.
Time to lot.
Like, he hasn't trailed really in the second half in these playoffs.
In the regular season, they only had two fourth quarter comebacks.
But he's been good on big crucial downs against good teams.
He has been.
I mean, the Rams game is a great example.
Outplayed Matt Stafford on third down.
Yeah.
He's been good on big downs.
He's got a great receiver.
Sometimes when you don't trail, there's nothing you can do.
Yeah.
He's a great front runner.
And I think the Seahawks defense leads away.
All right. Very exciting time.
But we got one more, and I know you're reluctant to do this, but it's about Drake May, Colin.
Drake May, I'm a little down on him.
I know he didn't win the MVP.
Patriots fans are unhappy.
Tomorrow's headlines today on Drake May.
So it's, I'm trying to be nice here, but I do think he's up against one of the better defenses we've seen.
You're qualifying it here.
In recent years, I like Drake May.
He seems like a nice guy.
He's got the wife.
He says all the right things.
But the headline for Drake May in Super Bowl 60 will be.
Well, that was a little
Hawk word. Pat gets pantsed.
Colin, this is the number one run defense in the league.
I can't unhear that.
Henderson, how's he going to get unlocked?
I don't think Stevenson is a great back.
I bet he's under for rush yards.
He's a solid back.
And the receiving group is not great.
We'll see what's up with Eminwarie, the safety for Seattle.
But this is a defense.
Only one quarterback truly solved them.
And that's Matt Stafford.
Okay.
Young quarterbacks under the age of 25 against McDonald's.
defense the last two years. One in nine, seven touchdowns, 12
picks. There's a ballot 30 times. Yeah.
This is what really, the more I burrowed down,
is that Seattle played the Rams effective run game three times
and the Niners great run game three times. Six of the games,
Seattle played elite coaching, elite offensive run games, right?
Seattle's defense still, those six games,
best in the league against
yards per rush.
That means Drake May
is going to have to throw it
more times than Vrable is probably
comfortable with a 23-year-old
throwing it in a Super Bowl.
They would love for him to throw 23 times.
He's probably going to have to throw 35.
Yeah, I think you said 1 in 7 when he attempts over 35.
And by the way, he's now facing the defensive
coordinator and team and head coach
that owns
young quarterbacks who have to throw over 35 times.
Against three good defenses in the playoffs for Drake May,
55% completions,
sack 15 times,
two picks,
six fumbles.
If I,
I mean,
if I told you those stats,
you'd be like,
how the hell did they advance in the Super Bowl?
May has not been good in the playoffs.
Maybe he turns it around.
But Josh McDaniels does not have a rich history of dominating
first halves in Super Bowls.
And if this team goes down,
say 143,
I think they're cooked against the Seattle defense.
So it's just a tall order for May.
What's your score, basically?
I mean, I did bet like an exotic alternative under under 35 and a half.
So I'll go like a 24 to 9 Seahawks win.
I don't think the Patriots find the end zone.
Wow, that's a little bearish.
A strong opinion by you.
Which is bad, given our market today's booming.
I'm getting a little bearish on the Super Bowl and scoring.
I think low scoring winning.
Remember the 133 Super Bowl?
Listen, after your crypto week, you need a big hit.
Crypto, bro.
