That is not the look of an innocent man.
Is everyone lying to me about who they are?
I felt such desperation.
I felt it was what I had to do.

Welcome back.
There we go, guys.
Struggling here to hear.
Make sure we got it right.
Yeah.
There we go.
Got it figured out.
With that, RG3, Robert.
Griffin, the third, is now joining us live.
Well, there's so many things.
You know, in a blowout, people often think you can't take much from it.
But, I mean, we have a young Drake May.
We have a New England staff that had a very conservative game plan.
And then there's obviously the Darnold component.
Through the entire playoff run, he didn't have a turnover.
Just give me your thought to somebody who's played the position.
And it's, you know, listen, he's bounced around the league, a lot of teammates, a lot of coordinators, sometimes chaos.
What jumps out to you?
How do you wrap a bow around Sam Darnold, the Super Bowl win in his career?
Yeah, I mean, I think Sam Donald has one of the greatest comeback stories in NFL history.
When you look at what he's been through throwing 63 touchdowns in his first.
six years in the league playing for, you know, three different teams.
Then he comes into his last two and he throws 60 touchdowns with the Vikings and also with the Seahawks.
I think what he's been able to pull off, very few people can do to go from the third pick,
get Benson, New York, get bench in Carolina, go become a backup in San Francisco and then get a starting gig in Minnesota and really take advantage of it.
You saw what happened in Minnesota when he left.
So I just think Sam Don, the way he handled the game was very unique.
because he wasn't very efficient.
And it's not like he played lights out.
But I think this game kind of solidified for me.
The whole debate around whether you take the points,
you go forward on fourth down,
every single time Seattle took the points.
And in big-time matchups like the Super Bowl,
when everyone's really, really nervous,
you see points on that board.
It changes the outcome of everything.
The defense plays with more energy.
And I think that Seahawks defense,
you know, they're not getting this type of praise,
but I think they're probably one of the best defense of all time.
Yeah, analytics.
are funny. There was a moment Seattle
could have gone for it at about the 40
and they punted it. And my take was
my take was New England
needed a break. It could be a block
punt. It could be a block. They needed
a break and it's like
their defense was playing
well, why give them a break?
Why get stuffed and give them great field
position? So I mean that's a cry. I don't
know what analytics said but my take is
when offenses need help
don't help them.
And Seattle's like we're just going to keep kicking
field goals and if we beat you
9-0-0, we're going to live with it.
When you look at Drake May, I think Chris
Collins were set it at halftime and I don't
think he wanted to say it, but
he kind of came out
and just said, Drake May's not
he's not ready for this. I mean,
you're watching in a stadium. What did you see?
Yeah.
I think
Drake May, this is my biggest
critique of him for the entire game and it was really
for the entire playoffs.
You know, he'd had a bunch of scrambles in the
postseason. I think he led the NFL and scramble yardage. But when his team needed him to truly
take over the game, I felt like he passed the ball. And I say that to say, you know, I'm not a big
LeBron hater, but some people say, LeBron, in big moments, he passes the ball to someone else to shoot
it because he doesn't want to take the shot. And I felt like in those moments, you have to be like
Jordan. When things get bad, you have to get great. And Drake May too many times was sitting in the
pocket, in my opinion, when he knew he had free runners. When he,
knew his offensive line was a bunch of traffic cones out there and they couldn't block a soul
when he knew that don't even get me started on will campbell a left tackle i mean lord have mercy
everybody was trying to swipe their car to that dining hall because everybody was eating when they
went against him so i think in that moment and when you're the quarterback and you have the athletic
ability that drake may does possess you have to say all right my clock has to speed up a little bit
i'm not going to get jittery in the pocket but what i am going to do is i'm going to get out here and
I've said it multiple times.
Get jiggy with it.
Listen, man, if you guys can't block him, you got to help them, block them.
You don't know how many times in my career, my offensive lineman came to me and said,
thank you, Jesus, for making that guy miss.
Because I couldn't block them, but it gave me a little bit of confidence to know that
you're going to make my wrongs right a couple times a game to give me the confidence to shoot
my hands and know that I can go out there and do it.
That was probably the most disappointing thing for me from Drake May,
aside from the fact that they got to fix the O line and they need more primetime
players at wide receiver because I think you saw it, Colin.
When you get into those games, it's all about the jimmies and the Joe's,
not just the X's and O's, and the Patriots got beat in both regards.
Yeah, the, um, do you worry at all that Clint Kubiak is leaving and may take a couple
of coaches with him?
I mean, Sam's had a lot of success with two different teams.
You know, it was interesting.
Matt Hasselback came on earlier and he goes, I think they'll keep Kenneth Walker because
you're going to have so much movement on the staff,
John Snyder is going to be like,
we're going to keep that,
even though the running back,
it's not a pass catcher,
not a great blocker,
he's continuity.
Do you worry about Kubiak leaving?
Yeah, you always worry about the coordinator leaving
because they create a rapport with the players,
they know how to call the plays.
And that's what a lot of people,
you know,
at home and even some,
obviously some former players that I'm here and talking today
don't realize is,
the plays matter, but when they get called,
how they get called,
how the coordinator knows the quarterback's temperament,
what he needs in those moments,
all those things matter.
I think we see that in Philly with Jalen Hertz
and how many coordinators he's had.
The guys that have called the game's best for him
have the best feel for that QB.
So I think they should keep Kenneth Walker in third.
I know they're going to get Zach Charbonnet back.
That's a great one-two punch.
And really the concern for me isn't as much Kubiak,
but it's like, what does Cooper Cup do?
Because now he's a two-time Super Bowl champ.
He's an offensive player of the year.
Super Bowl MVP, does he walk away?
Does he ride off into the sunset?
Because I don't think people really give him credit
because he didn't have the season
that Jackson Smith and Jigba had.
But who was the number one guy they went to
as soon as Jackson Smith and Jigba went out?
It was Cooper Cup.
He's a big reason why that they won that Super Bowl.
So I am concerned about the coordinator,
but I think that they're going to do
what they have to do defensively to make sure they keep a lot of that defense and then they can
retool through the draft on offense. Do you worry that Seattle, and they draft so well, they do
have cap space, which is just frightening because they don't have a whole. I mean, it's really,
and it's like the coach is just going into his prime. Darnold's now right in the thick of his prime.
But you don't necessarily want to bring the entire band back. Is there anything you tweak? I know
it's a loaded question.
But when you look at Seattle, like I said earlier,
Rashid Shahid is wonderful,
but I wouldn't pay him a fortune because he,
I think they went and got him because they felt like they were a Super Bowl team
and just needed a little icing on a great cake.
Any other moves Seattle could do to you,
or are you just going to say,
listen,
we're loaded.
Bring back Walker.
We're good.
No,
I always think that teams,
they make that mistake when they win the previous year.
What you have to realize is now that every team that's
Saw You is coming back and they're gearing their team to beat you because you're now the standard.
So I agree, Rashid Shaheed was a great addition for them, especially on special teams, the way that they went about that.
But if you think about the dynasties of the Patriots and the Chiefs, every single year, they try to add a dynamic wide receiver, whether it be with speed or size, and they tried to add another dynamic running back.
I think that to me is what Seattle has to do.
because I don't see Sam Donald playing
the way he played in the regular season this past year again
and I mean that from the negative sense
like he led the league in turnovers.
I don't think he's going to do that.
But I think they should try to add another dynamic wide out.
If you can get Rashid Shahid back
without having to pay out the wazoo
and break the bank for him, I would do it.
I would try to bring all those guys back
but still add young pieces through the draft.
And to me that this team is,
they're set up to be the dynasty that we thought.
thought the Seahawks were going to be when they had the lesion of boom.
So I think that's a very positive firm.
Like you said, that cap space is scary.
Yeah.
The Patriots, Burrell probably, Lamar, Mahalms, they all make the playoffs.
We've got an offensive coach with Josh Allen.
Justin Herbert's getting his tackles back.
Trevor Lawrence has got a guy, speed dialing up, great plays.
AFC quarterback play is not going anywhere.
I like a lot of what New England's doing,
but did you watch Drake May?
Did you come away saying, you know,
he may not make,
we're not going to get both these teams back next year.
And a lot of those AFC top quarterbacks
either didn't have O-lines, didn't have their health.
I mean, do you think New England repeats
and can get back to this thing?
I think there's two things that's going to be stacked against New England now.
They're going to have one of the toughest schedules in the NFL
because of the way that they finished.
if I was a betting man
that the team that I would bet on to get back
would be Seattle not the Patriots
for all the reasons that you just mentioned
but I also think they're going to have to go into next year
and whatever game plan they had going to this one
that bad boy in the trash
because they were playing so conservative
it made me feel honestly Colin
like there was something wrong with Drake May
yeah like was it his shoulder
was there something that they didn't want to put him in harm's way
he didn't want to put himself in harm's way.
And I think that's part of why I say,
there's more moves that Patriots have to make at wide receiver.
And even at running back,
I love Trayvion Anderson.
I love Ramandre Stevenson.
But they couldn't run the football
because their offensive line was so bad.
So if I'm the Patriots,
I go into this and say,
what player can I go get either in the draft of free agency
that is going to naturally make me a more aggressive play caller?
We saw that.
Now, Randy Mosses don't grow on trees, Colin, right?
Right.
Hell, there's only been one.
He's probably the most remarkable receiver we've ever seen.
Yeah.
But you saw how much more aggressive McDaniels got when he got Randy and that offense with Tom Brady.
So I think they got to go try to find themselves a receiver that they feel like they can be aggressive with.
And Drake May because he was the best deep ball throw in the league this past year can really let that thing hunt.
You know, it's always, and I rely on guys like that.
like you to kind of decipher this.
You know, when you see a great defensive coordinator, like offense, I can see it.
Robert, I can watch an offense with Mike McDaniel and McVeigh and go, oh, my God, multiple
sets, a lot of movement.
I can see offensive efficiency and coaching.
Ben Johnson, when he was a coordinator in Detroit for three years, you're like, oh, this
guy is a, he is clever.
Oh, yeah.
Defense is different.
So Mike McDonald is doing something that Stafford could figure out, but nobody else in the league could.
Part of it is Stafford's great and they employ a lot of tight ends.
I think the way to beat Seattle is tight ends.
That's why I couldn't believe they didn't target Hunter Henry more.
But what is Mike McDonald do that you see watching and go, okay, that's different?
Yeah, well, first I'll say, tight ends get us all, right?
Tightens can beat anybody in the world where it's on or off the field.
So now, pick you back and off of your point throw.
I was with Mike McDonald in Baltimore.
So when he was there, the thing that I've tried to explain to people over the past two weeks is,
why do they always get free rushers to the quarterback?
Well, if you have a bad offensive line, they're going to pressure you.
But even if you don't have a bad offensive line, they've found ways to get pressure.
And it's because at the line of scrimmage, they allow their safeties and their linebackers
and their outside edge rushers to determine who is blitzing based off the turn.
of the center and based off the call point.
How do I know this?
Well, my job was to break down protections in Baltimore.
My job was to make sure that we were directed the right way.
And what's the best way to pick up this blitz?
That was my responsibility as a veteran QB,
helping the young guy and Lamar Jackson,
you know, be prepared for every single week.
So when we go into practice and I'm going against Mike McDonald
all training camp all off season,
I'm making the mic points and they're changing them at the line of scrimmage.
And they're not, they're nonverbal changes.
So it's not like you could say,
all right, Mike 43, and then you hear him say, hey, you're blitzing, I'm going to drop.
They just do it automatically.
And that's what makes this defense so difficult to defend because you always feel like you're playing catch-up.
You're playing a catch technique on the backside where they're manning up, or they're zoning it out,
and they're not afraid to put a big guy on a small receiver because they know they're going to have a free runner at the quarterback.
And that's the genius, in my opinion, of Mike McDonnell.
He trusts his players so much.
You have to be a smart player, but he's always going to give them opportunities.
opportunities to get sacks. That's why they got Riley Mills in the middle of defense,
a guy who played four games in the regular season and had no sacks. He got a sack against this
offensive line. And he wasn't a free runner, but it's just like it's the genius of him. I'm
very happy for him. And I'm glad that now he can go spend more than 30 minutes with his kid.
So am I. I think we all cheer that.
Hosted out-of-pocket, RG3 podcast. Love having you on the show. Good seeing you at our
party the other night in the Bay Area and talk soon.
Appreciate you, Colin Party.
It was phenomenal.
Wasn't bad.
Gonna be honest about that.
Pretty good part.
You know, Jay Mack next year,
you know, maybe we'll give you an invite.
The next year is the parties in Los Angeles.
I got the invite.
I just'm not as much of a baller as you.
I can't pick up and just go at the drop of a hat to San Francisco.
So next year, it's in L.A.
I'm making plans already.
Yes.
Very excited.

Hey, it's us, the Jonas Brothers.
And guess what?
We have some big news.
What's the news?
Huge news.
We created our own podcast called, Hey Jonas.
We invented a podcast?
Well, we didn't invent it.
We just contributed to it.
We're the first people to do podcasts.
Pretty, yeah, pretty wide range of podcasts throughout there.
But this one's extra special.
So how do we actually come up with a name, Hey Jonas, guys?
I honestly don't remember.
I think it was on a call about what we should call it.
And we were thinking I'm originally calling it.
one of the early names of our band
before Jonas Brothers
was...
This is how you guys remember it going down?
Yes.
I have a very different memory of this.
We were talking about a thing,
a bit for the podcast,
where people could call in and say,
Hey Jonas.
And then I wrote down on my little notepad,
Hey Jonas, and offered it up
as a potential title for the podcast.
But thanks for remembering that, guys.

Hey, I'm Deanna Maria Riva, actress, mother, lover, and a Gen X woman walking through life one hot flash and hormonal crying jag at a time.
You ladies know what I mean.
I'll bet you a paramedipausal chin here you do.
So let's talk about it.
Join me on my new podcast.
How hard can it be with Deanna Maria Riva, where I call on my Gen X squads from Ohio to Hollywood as we navigate midlife's most fantastic BS.
All of a sudden, I'd had hanginess happening on my own.
I was like, what the hell is that?
I was married when I had her, so I didn't even consider how empty that Ness was going to be.
Mood swings, night sweats, fupas, sex drive.
Wait, what sex?
Dating at 45.
How can it be getting naked at 50 with the new guy?
That one's kind of hard now.
Well, that's lighting.
They say we can't polish a turd, but we're sure going to try.
So let's get blunt with laughs, tears or tears of laughter, and dive into it unfiltered and unbothered and ask, how hard can it be?
I cannot believe I'm about to say this out loud in public.
Listen to How Hard Can It Be with Diana Maria Riva as part of My Cultura Podcast Network available on the Iheart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
What's up, fam? It's Isaiah Thomas.
And I'm C.J. Toledano, and our podcast Point Game is about defining the odds.
Like LeBron heading into the playoffs without Luca and Austin Reed.
And finding ways to win no matter what.
He's the smartest player to ever play the game.
His IQ is at a level that we've never seen before.
And he knows.
Without Luca and Austin Reeves, I got to manipulate.
the game.
We get a player's perspective on the challenges of the playoffs.
I think Joker's going to be exhausted this series because when they don't have Rudy in the
lineup, he has to really guard guys like Nasree.
He has to guard Julius Randall.
And then he has to give us everything he gives us on the night-to-night basis on offense.
And when IT's friends stop by, like Quentin Richardson, we dive into some playoff history too.
Steve Nash would get that thing.
That man, hell get the fly.
He running up the court, licking his fingers, why he got the ball.
Like, you go through a training camp with that, Isaiah, you figure it out real quick.
Oh, yeah.
Get your ass up and down the court, and you're going to get the ball.
So listen to Point Game on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
It's your responsibility to not just seek help, but to identify that you need help.
This is Mental Health Awareness Month.
Tune in to the podcast, Just Healed with Dr. Jay, and take real steps toward healing, growth, and becoming your best self.
When you hear the word healing, what does that mean?
mean for you? What came right back to mine are the three P's that I live by. I'll go through the
process of healing so that patience, that perseverance and that prayer equals healing to me.
From understanding your mental health to doing the work, we break down practical tools,
real conversations, and the mindset shifts you need to move forward and thrive. You matter too.
Your mental health is your responsibility, not your wife, not your partner, not your children,
not the church, not the pastor, not the council.
It's your responsibility.
It's time to stop putting your healing on hold
and start doing something about it.

Keith Gianmanca seemed like a mild-mannered suburban dad,
but secretly, he became someone else,
a master of disguise who went on a crime spree.
At the time, did it seem like a crazy idea?
It seemed very crazy, but I felt so desperate that I felt it was the quickest, easiest way out.
Did you allow yourself to think about how it could go wrong on what that might look like?
No, I didn't want to manifest that. I was trying to manifest success.
Every family has its secrets. But what happens when you discover that your dad has been living a double life?
That is not the look of an innocent man.
This is going to change my life and my family dynamic forever
because everything that had existed prior in my reality is now untrue.

J-Mack with the news.
No, no, no, no.
Turn on the news.
This is the herd line news.
Colin, we joked about this, this whole like Tua, Dunn in Miami,
Kyler, done in Arizona.
What if they just swap places?
Well, that chatter is starting to come back up as both of them are looking for trade partners
for the quarterback and can't seem to find one.
Trading Kyler would create a $34 million cap savings for Arizona.
I just don't know where to send him.
Only 17.9 million dead cap money.
Tua has three years remaining.
I mean, if you send him somewhere, they've got nice offensive people.
They score points.
What do you have to replace it?
Okay, if we're talking logically, you and I know, Tua can't play cold weather, right?
It's just not a cold weather quarterback.
Right.
You got to find a warm weather team or a dome team.
So Minnesota is in a dome in that division.
Jay J.J. McCarthy can't stay healthy.
I want Tua.
Well, that's the thing.
J.J. McCarthy, they're looking for a veteran.
Is Tua enough of a veteran?
Aaron Rogers to the Vikings.
Oh, please.
What do you mean, please?
He's so toxic, man.
No way.
Oh, he's not.
He wasn't toxic in Pittsburgh.
Well, that's because he had the job.
Now, if he comes in as the backup to JJ.
He's not going to back up JJ.
Well, that's the problem.
They put all their eggs in the JJ basket.
So anyways, like, what about Kyler Murray?
Where could he possibly land?
And let's just stop with his Jets nonsense.
That is a disaster waiting to happen.
The Jets won a draft high in 27.
So forget.
I think the Jets should spend a fortune on.
Oh, yeah.
Great GMing by you there.
But there's just not a lot of teams.
that would be looking at these.
I would take Kyler Murray.
Where?
Pittsburgh?
No, Michael Barthew, it's in a way.
I think he's got a lot of talent.
I think Kyler Murray's got a lot.
He throws a great deep ball.
That's my favorite line of yours on Kyler Murray.
Does he do anything else good besides just sling that lefty pass down?
Very elusive?
Yeah.
Look at that. 87 starts.
No playoff wins.
Only has one playoff appearance.
Herbert elites made the playoffs three times.
I just don't see where Kyler's future is.
Maybe Arizona just has to stick with him?
A new coach? Is he going to want him?
It's a weird spot, Colin, for both these two quarterbacks.
I just, I don't see the team.
Like, Cleveland's not going to kick the tires on these guys, right?
You're incentivizing.
Cleveland's playing, they're paying Deshawn Watson.
Oh, that's right, yeah.
They're going to go with Shadour.
The Pro Bowler, Shedur's in.
Let's move on after the Shadour reference.
Let's go to Cliff Kingsbury.
You're a little lower on him than I am.
I like Kingsbury.
Interesting note over the weekend.
Cliff Kingsbury joined the Rams coaching staff, period.
Colin, there was no announcement about what his role would be.
That's true.
What do you think that means?
Can you check in with your Rams sources in fun?
Is he going to be the OC because he ain't going to call plays?
Well, this is the advantage of Stan Cronky and great revenue,
is they'll just bring guys on the staff that the bingles aren't going to do that
and the cheap skates in this league aren't going to do that,
but they'll bring Cliff Kingsbury on the staff and help serve a role.
that's why ownership matters in this sport,
that they can do stuff like that.
The problem is,
Kingsbury went from being the bell of the ball
with Jaden Daniels, an FC championship.
He had problems with the GM.
Okay, so he's not going to call plays on the Rams.
This is a massive step backwards.
I'm missing something here.
Now, I know Michael Fleur left the Rams as the OC to go to the Cardinals.
Kingsbury may not initially call plays.
There may be an opportunity here for McVeigh,
do slowly bring him along.
Maybe he's a walk-around guy and offer input.
Is that even a role with the...
I mean, Stafford, McVeigh and Stafford, let's be honest.
They've got a real symmetry.
Do you need to bring in a new guy?
I mean, McVeigh's calling stuff and Stafford can call his own,
and I don't worry about play calling offensively for the way.
Interesting.
Someone just said in my ear, one of the smart producers,
did they hire Kingsbury to keep him away from the Seahawks,
who are losing Kubiak as their OC.
Now, Darnel, that's good.
I wish I, I should have never given them credit.
I should have just stolen that one as much.
That's good.
Sam Darnold, plus Kingsbury, would be awesome in Seattle.
So they block the Seahawks from getting maybe the best O.C.
on the market in Kingsbury to just hang out in L.A.,
hit up the clubs and the bars with his buddy, Sean McVeigh.
Two handsome young guys.
He's married with kids, we just stop saying.
Kingsbury ain't married.
He's a wingman right now.
Wingman for McVeigh.
Oh, God, give me a break.
Speculation's fun.
Anyways, final story, Colin, oh boy.
You know, the staff came to me and, oh, yeah, we got one for you.
Chargers, they hired a new guy as their passing game coordinator.
It's Adam Gaze.
Yes, that Adam Gaze, who didn't quite thrive with Sam Darnold with the Jets.
I think this is the first time we've ever announced a passing game coordinator hire in Herdline News, or maybe on the show.
It's just so you could take some shots at the Jets
No, I don't want to take shots
Oh really? You don't?
Gase has bounced around
But he hasn't had an official title
And here we go
I heard he was cutting hair in Long Island
This past year
I don't know where he's been
Nobody hired him after that Jets to
I don't know where he went
Exactly
He's out of the league and now
Harbaugh throws him a lifeline
Well I mean again
It's oh geez here we go with the introductory press conference
Can we stop all the cheap shots
It's a little awkward here
Yeah, whatever.
I tried to write that off as though he's nervous.
Oh, God.
I'll never forget.
Peyton Manning was the one who told the Jets to go hire him.
I know.
Peyton told Woody Johnson.
That's why I bought in him.
Jets have kind of a head coaching hire problem.
Well, maybe if they hit me up and were like,
Jay Mack, what do you think they might straighten things out?
Well, Jimmy Haslam drafted Johnny Mansell because he listened to a fan.
How'd that work out?
I'm not a fan, sir.
I'm a media member.
Card-carrying media member.
They're not in good stead.
right now in America. People don't really like
the media.
J. Mack with the news.
Well, that's the news.
And thanks for stopping by.
The Heard Lye News.
You know what I didn't know yesterday.
Years and years ago, I went to,
I took my son to a WWA event.
He had a blast. He'd never been.
And I said, you've got to go to one in your life.
Yeah, so it was at SoFi and I took
my son to a WWE event.
And he, I mean, and I said,
Jackson, you've got to lean into it.
Like, just boo.
And he was just up there.
It was great. We had an absolutely laugh out loud fun time, booing him, and, you know, John
Sina, you stink. And it was great. And my son, about halfway through goes, hey, dad, there's
Bad Bunny. And I'm like, I don't even know what that means. And so he's like, he's very, very popular.
You know, it's out of my demo. I'm like, oh, okay, great. I didn't think anything of it.
And then I heard he was coming to the Super Bowl. So I don't really know anything about Bad Bunny.
I would say this. He's not, it's more of a vibe thing than a singing thing. Like, I didn't
listen to his voice and go, oh, my, oh, it's unbelievable. It was kind of, he's kind of a vibe guy.
Right? Like, I, I didn't know, like, other people were singing. It was, it was like a Broadway
play. It wasn't a singing thing. So is that normal or does he have some great voice? Because it just
felt like I had no idea what to expect. And my take was, usually they go get, like, a great singer,
a band, or, you know, it used it. It's kind of boring, though. I think Bad Bunny's performance
was incredible. I enjoyed it. It was like a story. It was a 20-minute story. It was. It was.
Yeah, I like that.
Yeah.
A lot of people, you know, this country, very divisive.
Really?
Is that happening?
The divided countries?
At halftime, I went and eight.
We were all, we went in eight, and we were talking about the game.
And if Sam Darnold needed chip blocks to get better pass protection, I don't really watch.
I mean, I watch it.
But I generally like to watch with only two or three.
I don't watch by myself, but I like to watch in small groups because I don't want you to talk to me during the game.
Yeah.
And so at halftime is my time to break down.
analytically the game.
It wasn't much to break down, my friend.
The Patriots had 51 yards of offense.
Did you see that second fewest yards ever in a Super Bowl in the first half?
And the fewest was the Chiefs last year with 23.
I'm telling you, this whole defensive shift in the league, it's a thing.
Well, by the way, what happened to the Chiefs last year?
O-line issues.
What happened to the Patriots this year?
O-line issues.
What happens is we have more strong, twitchy, fast athletes than ever before in all our sports.
and some play offense, some play defense.
What has happened, and I'll die on this hill.
One of the issues in the NFL is the deterioration of practice,
is that you can't hit in practice as much anymore, the new CBA.
And the one unit, it's hurt, is O-line, because O-lines are chemistry units.
You know, a lot of times a defensive line, Max Crosby's out there doing his thing, baby,
and he is Russian.
You don't have to be a string playing together, even though all football is complementary football.
But all line play is determining outcomes, and it stinks everywhere.
And the reason it stinks is a lot of these college teams are spreading it out.
There's not a lot of road grading Michigan football.
Like Miami's offensive line this year was power.
They'll run the football.
They'll get big 10 lines, Iowa's Michigan.
It's physical.
They're not Big 12, spread it out.
And the second thing is in the NFL, you can't hit anymore.
Offensive lines need more practice time.
They have regret.
I never talked old lines ever talking football.
And then like eight, 10 years ago, it's like, they're getting bad.
I mean, if I say to you good old line, you can name them right off top of your head.
Because they're so feeling Denver.
You know, oh, that's a good.
Philadelphia.
You can, Detroit was.
Not many.
Fated, yeah.
Detroit in the middle.
I think this draft, there's like four or five that should go in the first round.
Here's the thing.
It's a lot of good teams that need these tackles, and they're drafting later.
You need depth, as the Chargers showed.
Chargers are going to have two guys coming back.
I would get another if I'm the Chargers.
If I was the Chargers, my first pick, and I move up to do it, I would get another tackle.
The kid from Miami, you can move inside or outside.
He's going to go top ten.
He's good.
You can get top ten.
What about the wide receiver to the Chargers?
with McDaniel and, no, Ladd-McConkey, Quentin Johnson.
I think Trey Harris, Quentin Johnson, Ladd-McConkey.
There's no JSN in that group.
I would like another tight end.
But you're on a tight-end kick these days.
I like tight-ins.
Well, yeah.
New England didn't throw to Hunter Henry.
I just could not figure it out.
Like, guys, you're not going to do the, I mean, the Seattle's corners and safeties are
too good.
You're not going to riddle them.
Yeah.
Stefan Diggs was not going to have.
I don't even know what his over-under was.
He was not going to have a big game.
They just took him out of the game.

Hey, it's us to Jonas Brothers, and guess what?
We have some big news.
What's the news, huge news?
We created our own podcast called, Hey, Jonas.
We invented a podcast?
Well, we didn't invent it.
We just contributed to a podcast.
Pretty, yeah, pretty wide range of podcasts throughout there.
But this one.
one's extra special. So how do we
actually come up with a name Hey Jonas, guys?
I honestly don't remember.
I think it was on a call about what we should
call it. Well, we were thinking
I'm originally calling
it one of the early
names of our band before Jonas
Brothers. This is how you guys remember it going down?
Yes. I have a very different memory of this.
We were talking about a thing, a bit for the podcast
where people could call in and say, hey Jonas.
And then I wrote down on my little
notepad, Hey Jonas. And I'll
offered it up as a potential title for the podcast.
But thanks for remembering that, guys.

Hey, I'm Deanna Maria Riva, actress, mother, lover, and a Gen X woman walking through life,
one hot flash and hormonal crying jag at a time.
You ladies know what I mean.
I'll bet you a parameda apostle chin here you do.
So let's talk about it.
Join me on my new podcast.
How Hard Can It Be with Deanna Maria Riva, where I call on my GenX squads from Ohio to Hollywood.
as we navigate midlife's most fantastic BS.
All of a sudden, I'd had hanginess happening on my own.
I was like, what the hell is that?
I was married when I had her,
so I didn't even consider how empty that nest was going to be.
Mood swings, night sweats, fupas, sex drive.
Wait, what sex?
Dating at 45. How can it be getting naked at 50 with the new guy?
That one's kind of hard.
Well, that's lighting.
They say we can't polish a turd, but we're sure going to try.
So let's get blunt with laughs, tears or tears of laughter, and dive into it unfiltered and unbothered and ask,
How Hard Can It Be?
I cannot believe I'm about to say this out loud in public.

What's up, fam, it's Isaiah Thomas.
And I'm CJ Toledano, and our podcast Point Game is about defying the odds.
Like LeBron heading into the playoffs without Luca and Austin Reed.
finding ways to win no matter what.
He's the smartest player to ever play the game.
His IQ is at a level that we've never seen before.
And he knows without Luca and Austin Reeves,
I got to manipulate the game.
We get a player's perspective on the challenges of the playoffs.
I think Joker's going to be exhausted this series
because when they don't have Rudy in the lineup,
he has to really guard guys like Nas Reid.
He has to guard Julius Randall.
And then he has to give us everything he gives us on the night-to-night basis on offense.
And when IT's friends,
stop by like Quentin Richardson, we dive
into some playoff history too.
Steve Nash will get that thing.
That man, hell get the flying. He running
up the court, licking his fingers, why he got the
ball. Like, after you go
through a training camp with that, Isaiah, you
figure it out real quick.
Get your ass up and down the court, and
you're going to get the ball. So listen to

At the time, did it seem like a crazy idea?
It seemed very crazy.
But I felt so desperate that I felt it was the quickest, easiest way out.
Did you allow yourself to think about how it could go wrong and what that might look like?
No.
I didn't want to manifest that.
I was trying to manifest success.

Tomorrow we're going to do six up and six down.
Six NFL teams, I think, will be noticeably better next year.
Six teams that I think fall off.
We know there's at least four new playoff teams in the NFL every year.
Listen, Seattle's obviously a great team.
And the two best teams in football at the end of the year were Seahawks, Rams.
You've got to feel pretty good about yourself if you're the Chicago Bears
because the Rams basically played a perfect game
and you took them to overtime in Chicago.
Bears fan this morning, I feel really good about it.
Really good about the Chicago Bears.
But in New England, Matt Hasselbeck was on earlier.
I didn't like their game plan.
I thought it was too conservative.
I think there is a way to attack Seattle
and they didn't do it.
And here was Matt Hasselbeck.
We need to really start talking about this defense
with the great defenses of all time.
Like the great defense.
And we don't, I'm not sure why, but we need to.
So if you're playing, if you're mismatched with a great defense of a historic,
of a historic nature, you got to pull out the trick plays, man.
Like you got to steal one.
You got to manufacture something exotic.
Yeah, and they didn't.
Very conservative.
I thought they're opening series, a couple of swing passes, get the ball out.
But, I mean, when you go into a game and you know,
and New England did know.
When you know the left side of your offensive line is going to get worked,
you got to roll that pocket right.
You got to do three-step, tight-end backs.
And the other thing, I like the defensive game plan by New England,
which was be hyper-aggressive jump routes,
try to speed Sam Darnold into a mistake.
Now, Sam had a great playoff run.
It's remarkable.
Darnold, five touchdowns, 700 yards, no turnovers.
100 passer rating.
He had it.
And again, you're talking the Patriots defense, the Rams defense.
I mean, New England and Drake May's offense faced very good defenses in the AFC
playoffs and the Super Bowl and didn't, and looked awful.
Well, it's not like Darnold faced cupcakes in the NFC playoffs in New England.
It's not like they didn't play great defenses.
New England's got a great defense.
Rams have a great defense.
Sam Darnel never had a turnover.
So, I mean, I know this is hard for people the stomach, but right now,
Donald's a better quarterback than Drake May because he can play at a faster pace and not make the mistakes.
And Drake was just turnover prone.
Yes, they played good defenses.
So did Donald.
So it's not like Donald hasn't played.
If you just take out one team, the Rams over the last couple years,
Donald's numbers are insane.
They're already excellent.
But Drake held on the ball.
And I think a lot of times quarterbacks hold on to the ball because they don't know what they're seeing.
They don't know what they're seeing.
Forget the why.
they don't know what they're seeing that that right there's a bad pick so i don't think uh i i think
new england will address its offensive line but i think kansas city's better next year
baltimore's better next year buffalo could be better Cincinnati could be better the chargers
jemack and i are on this i think the chargers is going to make a jump next year i think it's
amazing they got to the playoffs uh but drake may just he's got a way to go and this is matt
Castleback earlier.
He did not look healthy to me.
You know, that was one thing.
You know, like he looked, he looked okay.
He looked good, pretty good, you know, in terms of his fastball and stuff like that.
He had some great throws.
But I just didn't think he was looked, he looked like he was in that, like, hey, I'm feeling my best.
I don't think that.
I also think that pass protection was a real issue early on.
It was a huge issue.
I didn't love how they didn't feel like an aggressive enough game plan.
And when they went aggressive, now he's holding.
now he's holding on the ball and putting the offensive line in a tough spot.
I don't think they're going to watch the film and feel really good about it.
Yeah, I agree with that.
And Matt's not somebody that just hammers coaches to hammer coaches,
but it was J. Mack, victory lap for you,
Victory Lap Monday for Jason McIntyre.
You said, you came out and said, I don't know if New England's going to score.
Yeah.
I felt great about that 12-0 third quarter.
Come on.
I was waiting for the text from California.
Howard. He must have been on like his sixth
margarita at that point.
I mean, listen, it was, I was hoping
for the shutout, because we've never seen a Super Bowl
shutout, right? Well, they started talking about it.
On air? Yeah. Didn't somebody
start talking about it? One of the broadcasters?
I mean, hell, the Seahawks
kicker was in the mix to win the MVP.
That was the kind of game it was.
Yeah, again, RG3 pointed
this out. Seattle took
the points.
Yeah, nothing wrong would take it points. It takes pressure
off Sam Darnel. You don't want to get to the
second quarter and it's 7-0 and you failed but you know the analytics say take when you're
facing in a high-pressure game a great defense and those were two great defenses take the points
Seattle had the fourth fewest fourth down attempts this year and just hoisted a trophy
fourth fewest why because they have a great defense great special teams they don't need big risk
