This is an I-Heart podcast.
Guaranteed Human.
Another podcast from some SNL, late-night comedy guy, not quite.
Unhumor me with Robert Smygel and friends.
Me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman
help make you funnier.
This week, my guest, SNL's Mikey Day and head writer, Streeter Seidel,
help an a cappella band with their between songs banter.
Where does your group perform?
We do some retirement homes.
Those people are starving for banter.

Imagine an Olympics where doping is not only legal, but encouraged.
It's the enhanced games.
Some call it grotesque.
Others say it's unleashing human potential.
Either way, the podcast's Superhuman documented it all, embedded in the games and with the athletes
for a full year.
Within probably 10 days, I'd put on 10 pounds.
I was having trouble stopping the muscle growth.

One of the best guys in the NFL, former GM of the Cardinals, Steve Kime.
He's working on some draft stuff.
Three playoff appearances in NFC championship.
Kyler Murray, Buda Baker, Tyler Matthew, Patrick Peterson, Kaleas Campbell.
And outside of Kyler, Buddha, Honey Badger, Patrick Peterson, Klaas Campbell,
you had success, second, third, fourth, fifth rounds.
This is considered a weaker draft.
Are there guys, Steve, at the top of the second that you think kind of are really high-end players,
that will start immediately.
Yeah, I don't think there's any question, Colin.
And I think you look at this draft,
and you see a guy like Michael Mayer,
the tight end out of Notre Dame,
where you see Brian Branch,
who can play that inverted slot position
as a corner or safety in the high post.
There are several good players left.
There'll be a lot of people jockeing for those positions,
and it's going to be an exciting day.
To me, this is my favorite days of the draft.
You know, we got Buda Baker we traded up for.
Christian Kirk was a second round pick of ours.
So you can really nail players that can help and help right away.
By the way, the Steelers have the first pick.
So they just got their left tackle.
They have their quarterback.
So Pittsburgh's got the first pick today.
How many teams do you think are calling them?
I think there's got to be at least 10.
10 teams.
And I would also say that they're obviously jockeying for position
because they have a first round rate on that player.
They want to get better now.
And they're probably offering a next year one.
So Pittsburgh's in the catbird seat here.
Will Levis didn't go.
I threw out the Raiders.
He doesn't have to play.
When he does, they've got a lot of offensive elements,
offensive coach,
Josh McDaniel can be patient.
If Garoppolo does get hurt,
Will Levis could play immediately.
Hucker, Kenan Hooker plays in a Tennessee offense
that's kind of a college offense.
I think Will Levis to the Raiders
feels kind of right.
Is there any of the fit for you?
Yeah, I mean, I think it would make sense,
particularly when you think that Jimmy G
has probably got to be a stopgap guy.
Then you have an offensive head coach
who has had success with quarterbacks in the past.
Why can't he develop a guy like Will Levis,
who's got the basic skills that you want for the position?
And now, you know, at some point in time, as well, we know, Colin, you've got to take a swing on these young quarterbacks.
So tell me a team yesterday to you, a couple teams that you thought were winners that you really like what they did.
I thought John Schneider nailed it in Seattle. You know, you get the best receiver in the draft in terms of rankings.
You get the best corner. For him and Pete Carroll, you've got to be thinking that they're looking at two guys right here for the future, Richard Sherman and Tyler Lockett.
Two similar type athletes for those positions. Then you've got to look at Howie Roseman, what he did in Philadelphia.
I thought was phenomenal. He just keeps the rich get richer. You know,
Howie Rosman gets one of the most talented defensive players in the draft. He gets another
pass rusher who I thought was very similar to Hassan Reddick that we drafted out of Temple,
who had a fantastic year last year in Philly. The Nolan Smith out of Arkansas. Yeah, very similar,
quick explosive edge rusher. Then I think, you know, you look at again, team like Buffalo.
I love the Dalton Kincaid pick. Yes. Giving a young quarterback more firepower,
a guy who can stretch the seam vertically and is explosive as a pass catcher.
My theory on Buffalo is, I think McDermott's smart, but he had a great front seven, tremendous backers, excellent safeties, and he still can't stop Cincinnati in Kansas City.
Could I argue they have made a little bit of a pivot saying, listen, we're going to, in the AFC now, you've got to win track meets.
We can't stop anybody here.
Is some of that move to Kincaid an acknowledgement of defense has limitations in 2023?
I think 100%.
And I think Brandon Bean has got to look at that conference and think, how can I win this thing?
And to me, you've got to look at the big picture, which is the NFL has changed rules,
which are more in favor of offense and players.
When you start looking at the mismatches on the field, NFL wide receivers versus corners,
there's not enough corners to cover all those good receivers.
You told me this years ago, you can't find a third great corner.
You cannot.
And then on top of that, the difference in athleticism between defensive linemen and offensive linemen these days.
There are some freak defensive linemen that are so talented.
And then you got Joe Bag of Donuts playing offensive guard for you,
which has put more importance on offensive linemen as well.
So I want to talk about your former team Arizona.
So J. Mack and I talked about this earlier.
It's hard for me, if you take the teams out and you just said,
a team moved up for the best left tackle in the draft,
I'd be like, well, it's a foundational piece.
So I understand if this draft is not a great draft,
but there's one left tackle or two you love, and I have a star quarterback, doesn't the move for Arizona make sense?
I think it makes a lot of sense.
I mean, again, left tackles do not grow on trees.
We know that.
Number two, the kid in itself, you know, Paris Johnson is a tremendous talent, but also a great character guy.
He's supposed to be a great character guy.
He lights up the room when he comes in.
So not only are you adding a left tackle for the future, you take your current tackle, D.D. Humphreys, you move them to the right side,
so you're much better already, and you instill confidence in your young quarterback.
I heard actually that left tackle, Paris Johnson, speaks multiple languages, great student.
Like, we'll come in and learn your offense immediately.
How much does that stuff, Matt, like Jalen Carter, red flag stuff?
You know, I look at your guys, and I don't, I mean, you drafted Honey Badger, who had some baggage, right?
Remember there was some marijuana stuff?
Sure.
So how do you view, because for Philadelphia to get Jalen Carter, is the best college player I saw, how did you view that?
I think, again, fortunately for Howie Roseman, you have the ability to take chances, you know, because of your roster, because you have a locker room that polices itself.
So now you put them in there with Fletcher Cox and some of those stud defensive linemen.
Right, Kelsey and all of those guys.
The kid's going to grow up pretty quick.
And if he doesn't, he's going to be out of the league pretty quick.
Right.
You know, we drafted a guy named Robert Kim Dici in the late first round.
He was tremendous talent, but we didn't have the locker room to police itself.
Interesting.
Which really, again, for Howie, in my opinion, now that he's putting him not only,
with other teammates from Georgia, but he's putting him in a position to succeed right off the bat.
When the Colts and Anthony Richardson, so he's very, very raw.
So this is just me as a talk show host.
I didn't love the Bicep show.
I didn't love the selfie in the bathroom.
I do think from the time the season ends to the draft, there's about eight to ten weeks.
You can, not significantly maybe, but you can elevate your stock,
interviews, degrade it, saying the wrong thing.
The Will Levis, Anthony Richardson, they're both a little raw.
Were you surprised that the Colts went with the more raw player?
I wasn't.
I have a lot of respect for Chris Ballard.
I think he does a great job in Indianapolis.
And I think, again, when you look at the big pitcher,
Anthony Richardson was the most talented player at that position in this draft from a physical standpoint.
Again, you have a guy like Shane Steichen who did something that I didn't think he could do,
which was make Jalen Hurston to a tremendous player.
He was almost MVP.
I told Howie Roseman two years ago he asked me.
He said, do you think Jalen can do it?
I said, when it comes to make NFL throws from a pinpoint accuracy standpoint,
I didn't quite think Jalen had it.
He proved me wrong.
And Shane Steichen was one of the reasons.
And now he's the Colts coach.
Correct.
So let's talk C.J. Stroud.
And I'm probably wrong on this.
But, you know, I was watching the draft coverage.
And, you know, all these guys on all these networks, the NFL network and ESPN.
And there were some very, and I say, you know, you know, you give me more information.
And there was a lot of compelling arguments for C.J. Stroud. And, and I think one of them on ESPN was, listen, he's Jared Goff, but he can move.
And I thought, well, Jared Goff's probably, Jared Goff's pretty good.
Jerich Gott's pretty good player. And, and I look at C.J. Stroud. And I'm like, if you give me Goff with mobility,
well, that's a top 12, 13 quarterback in the league. How, what do you see on tape from C.J. Stroud?
I think he's a very good player. I think he's got the ability to be a strong starter in this league.
And what I love more than anything about what Houston did was they made a decision.
Okay, so what they did is they had to instill some confidence in their fan base.
Not only did they cover up and take care of that quarterback position,
they covered up and took care of that pass rushing position,
and they were able to do it by making that trade while on the clock,
which I think is very, very difficult to do for a lot of different teams.
So Nick Casario, I think, came out of this thing, feeling very good.
Not only that, but you have a ton of salary cap,
moving forward. You have this money to spend. So now you supplement through free agency moving
forward with a very solid base of young players. Explain the Falcons taking a running back.
Didn't bother me for my own reasons. A lot of people banged on it. Now, I had a GM tell me they
thought that Bejohn Robinson was the single cleanest player in the draft. Bryce Young was a tad
small. You know, everybody was Will Anderson's good, not special, that Bejohn is a
day one starter checks every single box, catch run, but people say, well, I mean, they found a guy late in the draft last year, they already ran the ball well.
What do you make of their move and why they made it?
I mean, I love it because the guy is a difference maker.
We've talked about philosophically not taking backs high.
If he's a difference maker, you take him.
Okay.
And that's my opinion.
You know, not only because of that, because of what he does schematically, he can get in the slot.
He runs great routes.
He catches the football extremely well.
And when you have a situation where if Atlanta's not going to commit to one of these young quarterbacks, what do you got to do?
You've got to help him with the run game.
And Arthur Smith is a brilliant guy.
He's very articulate and thoughtful with his understanding of his offense.
This guy fits what they do.
He helps a young quarterback with a run game, figure out if he can play in Atlanta, Ritter, if he can play.
And then if he can't, you've got to move on to a young quarterback at some point in time here moving forward.
Was there, Will Anderson, the edge rusher?
Again, people can bang on the Texans, but I think they could argue.
you in kind of a middling draft, we got two of the top eight, ten players.
Is Will Anderson a dominant player?
What kind of, I mean, you had JJ Watt.
You know great players.
You're in a division with the bosses.
Right.
You know, you've seen, you either competed against or Hatchandler Jones.
Correct.
You know edge rushers.
What is Will Anderson?
You know, to me, he's a 10, 12-sack year guy.
You know, he's, to me, he reminds me a lot of Robert Quinn when he came out of North Carolina.
Very, very good player.
And more than anything, I think, you know, when you're the Houston Texans and
you're in a situation, Damico Rhyans, you want a character guy. You want a guy that is committed
to the game that's passionate. So that is infectious in your locker room. You know, years and years
ago, I scouted a guy from Alabama who was a really good linebacker and one of the best character
guys that changed locker rooms named Demico Ryan's. You drafted Domingo? No, I said, we scouted him,
and he was a guy that had tremendous talent, tremendous character, won the second round, so he was
overlooked a little bit, had a tremendous NFL career. And again, now he goes back to the well,
gets another character guy from Alabama who has been there, done it.
And now you're setting your team up for the future
with two guys who's played at the highest level at Ohio State and Alabama.
So let's talk Lamar.
I said earlier, in Phoenix you got to have a pool.
In Alaska, you got to have a winter jacket.
And the AFC, you've got to have special quarterback.
You can win a lot of ways in the NFC.
You can kind of win one way in the AFC.
You've got to put up points.
The Ravens didn't really have a choice.
They had to get...
No choice.
What are you going to do?
You know, it's what we talked about many times.
Colin, the supply and demand it to position.
You know, do you either think you have a chance to win it all with the guy or do you not?
You're playing musical chairs.
Lamar Jackson gives them a chance.
And then what Eric DeCosta did was Zay Flowers in the draft, I thought was a tremendous move.
So not only did the Baltimore Ravens, in my opinion, win in the draft, but it was just the day itself.
They got Lamar done.
They got the receiver they wanted.
I think the Baltimore Ravens, who continue to make good moves in personnel.
They've always been a great, starting with Ozzy to Eric DeCasa, they do a great job
in the personnel department.
Packers never take offense in the first round.
To their credit, they always have a good offense.
They went and got an edge rusher from Iowa.
Iowa just makes good NFL players.
It's almost like if you draft an Iowa guy,
they're often better pros than call it guys.
Right.
Like their offense doesn't score a lot of points.
Is it just a fundamental belief in Green Bay?
I feel like they always go defense early.
Is it coincidence?
What do you make of that?
Yeah, I mean, I think number one,
it starts with the play.
And you talk about guys Kirk Ferrence does as good a job as anybody.
You know him.
They're two and three star recruits.
He gets him in there.
They become great program guys.
They're committed.
They're usually middle western kids that sort of grow into their bodies later in the process.
And here's a guy that can play that three, four defensive end, which is really hard to find.
You know, with a size, his strength at the point of attack.
Very, very big.
And he's powerful.
Got strong hands.
And I think he's a guy that fits what the Green Bay Packers want to do.
And in that division, you've got to stop the run game, particularly in tougher elements
with the wind and the rain.
So yesterday you had 10 minutes on the clock.
How much time on the clock today, round two?
Is it five minutes?
Correct.
It's hard to make trades.
It is.
And I was telling you earlier, you know, people don't see behind the scenes.
Every pick that you make, you've got probably four or five calls every pick.
And you have to make that quick decision of whether you take the pick, whether the calculation
of the points adds up to maybe move back or move up.
And it's just a lot of moving parts that people don't see.
So you have that draft, the Jimmy Johnson draft chart.
Yes.
You've got it right in front of it.
There's generally about three different charts
that teams use throughout the NFL,
and that is one of them.
And again, some of them are a little different
in terms of points situation.
But again, it's something to base off of it
more than anything.
Go get a player you want.
If you love one like Buda Baker,
I didn't care what I had to give to get up.
You know, because I wanted Buda Baker.
I knew he could be a difference maker
in our organization.
And I think that's what a lot of people
are thinking today.
There's a couple guys up there,
whether it's Michael Mayer or it's Brian Branch.
Can that player put us over the top?
Mike Tomlin,
Well, he's got Minka Fitzpatrick back there, so he doesn't need a safety.
He likes those safeties, though.
He does like them.
He's had some good safeties.
Yes, indeed.
Steve, it's great seeing you.
Thanks, Colin.
You've got.

double-tap Little Kim's boobs at the VMAs?
Or when Kine Hey,
They said that George Bush didn't like black people.
I know what you're thinking.
What the hell does George Bush got to do a little camp?
Well, you can find out on the Look Back at it podcast.
I'm Sam J.
And I'm Alex English.
Each episode, we picket here, unpack what went down, and try to make sense of how we survived it.
Including a recent episode with Mark Lamont Hill, waxing all about crack in the 80s.
To be clear, 84 is big to me, not just because of crack.
I'm down to talk about crack all day, but just so y'all know.
I mean, at this point, this is the second episode where we've discussed crack.
So I'm starting to see that there's a through line.
We also have AIDS on the table right now.
Thank you for finishing that sentence.
I don't think there's a more important year for black people.
Really?
Yeah.
For me, it's one of the most important years for black people in American history.
Listen to look back at it on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
J-Mac with the news.
No, no, no, no.
Turn on the news.
This is the Herd Line News.
I don't know if you noticed this masterclass by the Ravens yesterday,
signing Lamar Jackson right before the draft.
And now nobody's talking about the contract.
He didn't quite get what he wanted, but he got $185 million guaranteed.
Then, yeah, that's a lot.
Then the Ravens went out and grabbed Zay Flowers with the 22nd overall pick.
And OBJ about a month ago, so they got fast.
This is the best receiving group Lamar Jackson's ever had.
Bateman, remember the former number one pick?
Is there Nelson Aguilar as well?
well, Devin Duvernay, they got Mark Andrews at tight end.
What are you thinking, Ravens, Bengals for the division?
Yeah.
And the Browns and Steelers are kind of right on their heels.
There are health concerns, but Flowers, OBJ, and Lamar, those are three of the fastest
guy.
They're going to be fun to watch.
Yeah, they did move on from their OC, so we'll see what the new guy cooks up.
Yeah.
I mean, this morning, with that defense and coaching and special teams, feels like a playoff team.
Yeah.
I think it does.
Yeah, I think Cincinnati, Baltimore feel like the best two teams in division.
And then Pittsburgh would need to do something heroic to sneak in.
But Baltimore's been at the top of the division in like November the last two years and then cratered with Lamar injuries.
So the Steelers have the first pick today in the top of the second.
They don't need a tight end.
They don't really need a safety.
If you're Pittsburgh, you could boom back six, seven spots and get another pick.
They're in a great spot because they don't need the two.
Now, now, it's also a great draft for Interior O. Lineman over the next 12th.
15 picks. There's also some
edge rushers. So Pittsburgh's in a great
spot. They can move down three or four picks
and still get who they want and get a fifth round pick.
I'm looking, you know, there is a
center, and I know you don't want
to draft centers too early. Yeah, from Minnesota.
Yeah, no, they actually have Mason Cole.
Who's all right?
Yeah, trading down seems like it could be
in play for Pittsburgh. I'm kind of bullish on
the Steelers. No, I think they're going to be good.
The problem is the division and the AFC is
so rugged. We know the Jets
are going to the playoffs.
Yeah, let's count that one in.
Bills also.
Kansas City, Cincinnati, Jacksonville, Baltimore.
And then there's only one playoff spot left.
Chargers?
I think Denver Chargers.
I told you, last couple of years I pushed back on the Chargers.
This is going to be the best Charger team in a long time.
Okay, so then we have Miami missing the playoffs this year.
Yes.
All right.
Next up, let's go to the Seahawks.
You love talking about this Seattle team.
They had a pretty good draft.
Devin Witherspoon out of Illinois with the number one pick.
Then they stayed in the Big Ten and went with Jackson Smith.
Well, what's wrong with the Big Ten?
I said stayed in the Big Ten.
Not bad.
I will say most players drafted in the Big Ten since 1995.
As many in the first round from the Big Ten as the SEC.
Well, Ohio State had three.
They had the second best quarterback, the best left tackle, the best wide receiver.
So Ohio State, by the way, Dallas got that interior Michigan lineman.
that dude's going to start. That guy's a good player.
That's good.
So Seattle basically got two starters, right?
Witherspoon will start opposite Wolin.
And in the slot.
You can move Lockett to the slot or Jackson.
They've got some options.
Oh, yeah.
This team, I looked at the depth chart.
Like, they got some talent.
Now, they need to go to the Interior O line with the next pick.
And, well, the defensive line as well.
Yeah.
Could you?
I know they had an okay off season, but you can never have enough in that division with San
San Francisco.
The line and a guard.
and they're set.
And then it all falls on the shoulders of Gino Smith.
I think in the NFC, he'll be fine.
I don't know if he'll be as fine as last year,
but remember, the roster will be better because of this draft,
and the roster will be better because all of last year's rookies
should be better this year.
So Seattle, their personnel,
they're going to infuse seven or eight new guys that will play,
and then all the top draft picks last year will be better.
So Seattle should, should keep it wrong.
Two other things.
So at running back, they have Kenneth Walker.
The kid who was a rookie, very good, but I think he got hurt.
DJ Dallas and then no other running backs on the roster.
So they're going to have to add one.
Yeah.
And I will just finally add.
Gino Smith was playing for a contract.
Geno Smith got his contract.
Oh, let's slow that.
Now there's, can he do it again?
We'll see.
I'm a little dubious on Gino Smith.
Final story, NBA, Celtics.
Close out the Hawks last night.
Did you watch a minute of this?
Highlights, watch highlights this morning.
I mean, I had it on TV 2, and I caught the final five minutes where Tatum and Brown took over.
Tatum 30, Brown 32.
Hawks were winning late in this.
All these games feel closer than they should have been.
That's what worries me about Boston.
Every one of these games, I felt Boston was better, even the games they lost.
And I would look up and I'm like, why is the game this close?
Do you think Boston had been watching the Bucks kind of lose?
And now they're like, oh, damn, we got this.
We got home court advantage down.
Bucks are gone.
And they just kind of let their guard.
I think Quinn Snyder's a great coach.
He's good. And I think he
was worth about four points a game in this
series. All right, now you were bagging on, Tray Lance.
Not bagging on. Oh, come on.
Trey Young. Tray Young, what I say, Lance?
Trey Young. You were
not a fan of his work, and should
they trade him, you know?
I think you run it back with Atlanta
with a full season with Quinn Snyder, and
this team has...
They can't really get stops.
But again, if they were facing anyone other than Boston,
I think they probably advanced.
too worried if you're Boston a little.
Every single game in the fourth quarter felt closer than it should be.
I'm not worried against Joel Embed and James Hardin.
All right.
All right.
James Hardin, by the way, struggling.
Look at the numbers finishing at the rim against the Nets.
Good luck against G8.
Not getting to the line as much.
That's his history.
And Beed's not 100%.
He should play game one if he doesn't.
J-Mack with the news.
Well, that's the news.
And thanks for stopping by.
The Herbaly News.
Bring the Hawks back, Quinn Snyder, full year, Tray Young.
I don't have a problem with that.
I don't dislike him.
I just think your mic on it.
I don't dislike him.
Celtics in four or five over the Sixers?
Six.
And we both agree Knicks over the heat?
We don't agree on that.
I'll take the heat over the next.
I think are minus 160 to win the series.
So slight favorites.
I was what I saw last night, it might have changed.
Is Julius Randall?
What's his injury situation?
I don't think it matters.
Nicks have home court advantage in this series.
Okay.
live editions of the herd weekdays in noon eastern 9 a.m. Pacific.
Hey, what's up, everybody? It's me three-time Pro Bowl of LeVar Arrington,
and I couldn't be more excited to announce a new podcast called Up on Game.
What is Up on Game, you ask?
Along with my fellow Pro Bowler, T.J. Hushman Zada and Super Bowl champion.
Yep, that's right. Plexico Burris.
You can only name a show with that type of talent on it.

Imagine an Olympics where doping is not only legal, but encouraged.
It's the enhanced games.
Some call it grotesque.
Others say it's unleashing human potential.
Either way, the podcast's Superhuman documented it all,
embedded in the games and with the athletes for a full year.
Within probably 10 days, I'd put on 10 pounds.
I was having trouble stopping the muscle growth.

A win is a win.
A win is a win.
I don't care which I'm saying.
Yep, that's me, Clever Taylor the 4th.
You might have seen the skits, the reactions,
my journey from basketball to college football,
or my career in sports media.
Well, somewhere along the way, this platform became bigger than I ever imagined.
And now I'm bringing all of that excitement to my brand new podcast, The Clifford Show.
This is a place for raw, unfiltered conversations with some of your favorite athletes, creators,
and voices that not only deserve to be heard, but celebrated.
One week, I'll take you behind the scenes of the biggest moments in sports and entertainment,
and the next we'll talk about life, mental health, purpose, and even music.
The Clifford Show isn't just a podcast.
It's a space for honest conversations,
stories that don't always get told, and for people who are chasing something bigger.
So, if you've ever supported me, or you're just chasing down a dream, this is right
where you need to be. Listen to The Clifford Show on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever
you get your podcast. And for more behind the scenes, follow at Clifford and at TikTok Podcast Network
on TikTok. Do you remember when Diana Ross double-tapped Little Kim's boobs at the VMAs?
Or when Kanye said that George Bush didn't like black people. I know what you're thinking.
What the hell does George Bush got to?
I do a little kill.
Well, you can find out on the Look Back at it podcast.
I'm Sam Jett.
And I'm Alex English.
Each episode, we pick it here, unpack what went down, and try to make sense of how we survived it.
Including a recent episode with Mark Lamont Hill waxing all about crack in the 80s.
To be clear, 84 is big to me, not just because of crack.
I'm down to talk about crack on day, but just so you all know.
I mean, at this point, Mark, this is the second episode where we've discussed crack.
So I'm starting to see that there's a through line.
We also have AIDS.
on the table right now.
Thank you finishing that sentence.
I don't think there's a more important year for black people.
Really?
Yeah.
For me, it's one of the most important years for black people in American history.
Listen to look back at it on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Big George Foreman, the new movie in theaters now.
Get your tickets.
Rated PG-13 gold medal heavyweight champ retired 10 years back.
Comes back heavyweight champ again.
Big George Foreman.
now available in theaters.
Jason McIntyre is a former newspaper guy,
kicked that career to the curb,
and now he still has the ability to predict headlines.
Are you ready?
After a pretty darn good mock draft last night,
first round I did well.
I'm definitely ready for headlines.
All right.
NFL draft underway.
Tomorrow's headlines today.
What's going to be the headline for quarterback Will Levis?
Yeah, sad fall for Levis to the second round.
We went through it a little earlier.
There are some teams that could make a move on Levis.
The headline will be swole foods.
Detroit grabs muscles on clearance.
I know you don't like the idea of Sharon Goff going anywhere because you love him so much.
But Detroit has to plan for the future, which can be now.
And I still love the idea of Will Levis coming in, sitting for a year, then taking over, quarterback on the rookie deal.
This is a Lions team.
Listen, I didn't love the first round.
I think you get Levis in there.
he's a good story, right?
He's got the armed talent.
He's been in a pro system at Kentucky with NFL offensive coordinators.
I think they win the division and then they pivot to Will Levis in 2020.
If you get this right, I got to get you something.
You've been on this for six months.
I have.
If Will Levis goes to the Lions, I'm going to have to do something.
And if it doesn't happen, it's no big deal.
Okay.
Tomorrow's headline today, Aaron Rogers has joined his team.
What's the Jets?
Jet's headline this season.
Well, you know, you never want to get too overconfident.
I'm not booking hotel rooms in Vegas for the Super Bowl yet,
but the headline will be,
far, you kidding me?
Jets end, 12-year darkness retreat.
The Jets haven't made the playoffs in forever.
Longest drought in the league.
Colin, listen, I'm not going overboard here,
but I went through the depth chart.
This is a team with no holes except maybe at left tackle.
We'll see how Mackay Beckton comes back.
He was a first round pick.
He gained some weight.
He's been injured.
If they can solve that, this should be an 11 or 12-win team.
And I'm not going overboard because I like the Jets.
Well, there just are not a ton of weaknesses on this team.
They won seven games with Jokers at quarterback last year.
And Tua, if you told me today, he plays 13 to 14 games.
I do think the Jets can vie for a playoff.
I do.
I think a lot of it's Tua's health.
And I don't...
Well, you and I disagree.
Let's be clear.
The Jets are better than the Dolphins.
Miami will be in third place in the division.
I'm not worried about that.
Just worried about Buffalo.
Can we beat them again this year?
But twice.
Okay.
All right.
Tomorrow's headlines today.
What's the headline going to be for the Packers and Jordan Love next season?
You are the captain of the Jordan Love fan club.
You love Jordan.
I don't love anything.
I've never seen him play.
Okay.
All right.
Well, the headline will be Love Conquers All except the NFC North.
I believe the Packers will be in the cellar in the division.
Oh, come all.
I like the Lions to win the division.
Lions are better than the Packers.
We know that they swept them last year.
Arrow's pointing up.
Chicago Bears, they've had a pretty damn good offseason.
And this guy, Luke Getzi, the offensive coordinator,
hopefully year two with Justin Fields, there is improvement.
You add DJ Moore.
They add Dante Foreman in the backfield.
Chase Claypool gets a full year.
The offensive line shows out.
This is a Bears team, I think, could win eight or nine games.
And then the Vikings, they're not going from 13 to like six.
That's not happening, right?
But short of a massive injury.
So you're in love with the Packers pulling up the rear in the division, Colin.
I don't like, I don't love the wide receivers with Jordan Love.
Offensive line aging.
It's reasonable.
Okay, let's now segue, pivot to the NBA.
Two big games tonight.
Tomorrow's headline today.
Lakers can close it out tonight.
What's the headline for the Gris Lakers series?
Listen, if the Lakers lose this game tonight, we'll be in mourning on Monday
because the Ceros will be over.
They're not winning game seven on the road.
The headline will be Lebrontosaurus wrecks.
Lakers make Grizzlies extinct.
This is one of those LeBron and AD meet before the game and say,
we're not sitting out.
We're not going back to Memphis.
No messing around.
We're not going back to Memphis.
This isn't, we're pulling out all the stops.
I don't even want to hear Darwin.
Substituting LeBron should be the coach on the court,
telling who's coming in and out.
The Lakers can't lose this game.
And LeBron, I would guess this is like a 28, 17, and 10 game from LeBron.
Triple double in game six.
Even though he's 38, I think he does just enough to beat Bain and Morant, who looked real good in game five.
Okay.
Game five.
All right.
Finally, the battle for Northern California, such a great series.
Love these teams, love these players.
Tomorrow's headlines today.
Kings Warriors.
Kings led this puppy, 2-0.
And now they're in trouble.
I got some.
jarring numbers for Kings fans.
The headline will be
Chef Curry.
All you can shoot fest
a fit for Kings.
I do think Sacramento goes down
and all you can shoot Feast.
Feast, what I say?
Fest.
Yeah, that's okay.
I'm sorry, it's a brick on my part.
I got some numbers for you here, Colin,
that are not good for the Kings.
Harrison Barnes,
shooting 22% from three this series.
They're giving him all the looks.
And it gets worse.
Red Velvet.
Kevin Herder,
16% on three-pointers.
It was like over 40% this season.
The Kings, you don't want to say they're kind of gagging in the big moment, but I mean, they were bad.
They shot two for 20 after the first quarter last game at home.
And it should be noted the Warriors defense does tend to get better cinch up late in the game.
All these veteran players like tighten things up.
Wiggins, Peyton.
Dremont.
It's just a tough spot for the Kings.
I don't mind being wrong.
I thought the Kings would win this series.
I'm happy the Warriors had.
advance, it sets up Warriors, Lakers, which will be a...
I think that's a bad Laker matchup.
They don't have the...
They don't have the scoring.
First of all, Golden State has some...
I can put Draymond on on LeBron.
Now, AD's going to have a nice series.
They've got so many...
I mean, just go.
The best player in the series is Steph.
Second, AD, third, LeBron.
Go back and forth.
Fourth is Wiggins.
Fifth is Draymond.
Sixth is Clay.
Evans pool.
So here's my thing.
If you play Looney and Dremont, then you're not able to go with pool and the pool party lineup,
Draymond at center, right?
Because you need Wiggins on the court.
You go Steph, Clay, and Wiggins.
So if you want to go small with Dremont at center, then who guards LeBron?
Wiggins?
But here's my thing.
LeBron's playing 32 minutes a night.
So that series, Lakers have to win one of the first two games on the road.
Have to.
Because the longer that series goes, the depth.
and the coaching expertise.
I mean, Kerr's worth three points a game.
Oh, I forgot about that.
Kerver's Darvinham.
Yeah, well, I mean, I'm not knocking Darvinham, but he's a rookie head coach.
So Kerr gives you two and a half, three points a game.
The longer this series goes benefits the much deeper team.
I never feel bad.
They don't even play Moody.
And I think he's an excellent guy off the bench.
And Moses, Moody struggles to get seven minutes a game.
And I think he's a very solid bench player.
Yeah.
Lakers would have to go to the Bay.
They'd have to go to Chase and steal and Earl.
game in the series to have any chance. Remember, LeBron almost stole game one of the finals from
KD and Curry when he had no teammates. That was the J.R. Smith game. Well, that was LeBron in his prime.
Have you seen his numbers this year? I know he's shooting like six for 28 from deep in the series.
He needs, this team, I mean, we said this about Memphis. If this thing goes seven,
Lakers could beat the Grizzlies in five or six. If it goes seven, even you just said it.
You don't like their chances. It will be less than a 48-hour turnaround.
for LeBron and AD.
It just doesn't work.
Who look gassed already.
I'm not prepared mentally for the Lakers to lose this series.
It would be real bad if LeBron.
We both picked the Lakers.
If he blew a 3-1 lead to Memphis.
We picked Lakers in six.
Yeah.
I pick Warriors in six.
The only real surprise to me.
No, I shouldn't say that.
Bucks.
It's, yeah, I mean, the Bucks is, it doesn't even make sense.
The NIC's ability to completely shut down Cleveland's offense
felt like a coaching mismatch.
I mean, you figured the Knicks would steal a game.
The scoring would be a little lower.
Like Cleveland's offense just dried up.
Jalen Brunson was the best player in that series.
And he might be in this series where Jimmy Butler's on the floor.
And you like the Knicks over Miami.
I do, yeah.
It's a good matchup for the Knicks, I believe.
Yeah.
Man.
Big George Foreman, now exclusively in movie theaters.

The George Foreman's story is an all-timer.
Olympic gold, heavyweight champ, retire, comes out with a grill and a comeback.
becomes heavyweight champ. He never fought Tyson, which always bummed me out. That was the fight
they never gave you. Boxing had a chance to give you the fight of the decade and they didn't
give it to you. And then the rise of the UFC and now UFC is, you know, it's what we watch on the
fight Saturdays. Who would have won that? Foreman or Tyson? Forma was old though, wasn't he?
Yeah, I think Tyson. You saw a lot of Tyson in his prime in Vegas. Yeah, he covered him.
Yeah, he was a bad boy. Fascinating.
fascinating, fascinating story and fighter.
Intimidating to watch.
You felt bad for the opponents when Mike was zoned in.
All right, we'll see you Monday.
Live in L.A., it's The Hurt.
