This is an I-Heart podcast.
Guaranteed Human.
Another podcast from some SNL, late-night comedy guy, not quite.
Unhumor me with Robert Smygel and friends.
Me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman
help make you funnier.
This week, my guest, SNL's Mikey Day and head writer, Streeter Seidel,
help an a cappella band with their between songs banter.
Where does your group perform?
We do some retirement homes.
Those people are starving for banter.
Listen to humor me with Robert Smigel
and friends on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Imagine an Olympics where doping is not only legal, but encouraged.
It's the enhanced games.
Some call it grotesque.
Others say it's unleashing human potential.
Either way, the podcast's Superhuman documented it all, embedded in the games and with the athletes
for a full year.
Within probably 10 days, I'd put on 10 pounds.
I was having trouble stopping the muscle growth.
Listen to Superhuman on the IHard Radio app,
Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
A win is a win.
A win is a win.
I don't care what I'm saying.
Yep, that's me, Clifford Taylor the 4th.
You might have seen the skits, my basketball and college football journey,
or my career in sports media.
Well, now I'm bringing all of that excitement to my brand new podcast,
The Clifers Show.
This is a place for raw, unfilled conversations with athletes,
creators, and voices that not only deserve to be heard,
but celebrated.
So let's get to it.
Listen to the Clifford show on the Iheart radio app,
Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast.
And for more behind the scenes,
follow at Clifford and at TikTok's podcast network on TikTok.
On the Look Back at it podcast.
For 1979, that was a big moment for me.
84's big to me.
I'm Sam J.
And I'm Alex English.
Each episode, we pick a year,
unpack what went down,
and try to make sense of how we survived it.
With our friends, fellow comedians,
and favorite authors.
Like Mark Lamont Hill on the 80s.
84 was a wild year. I don't think there's a more important year for black people.
Listen to look back at it on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.

Terry Bradshaw's $250,000.
And for top stories and more, go to the Fox Sports app.
Colin, you just mentioned this being a big game.
give us your winner and final score for Washington Browns.
I think it's going to be a little ugly, a lot of defense, two quarterbacks that don't have a ton of time to throw.
I'm going to go like 2620 Cleveland.
It won't be pretty.
I think both teams, I think Cleveland will take a lead, but they're just not going to,
that offensive line for Cleveland's not going to be able to sustain blocking on that Washington front for very long.
And so I think Cleveland wins, but it's not an artistic masterpiece.
If you're Cleveland, you don't give a rip.
You just want to win.
T.J. Husband Zada, he is having a birthday tomorrow.
I'm not going to tell you his age.
He is now joining us live.
He's played 11 years in the NFL.
He is deeply concerned because he said he found a gray hair,
a single gray hair on his left cheek.
And it's really, it's to send him off the deep end.
I just want to know if you're okay to do this segment,
you're very discouraged right now.
Yeah, I'm good.
I was shaving this morning.
I looked and I had to pull it to the side to make sure
that it was gray and it was.
And I'm like, oh, first one, here we go.
Yeah, and by the way, this is what happens.
Not long after that, TJ.
The whole thing will turn gray, just like that.
If I can get the salt and pepper look, I'm cool with that.
But one here and there, I don't like that.
Okay.
You know, it's interesting.
I want to talk about the Buccaneers for a second.
So in the first week, Brady struggled with his receivers.
Second week, he and Mike Evans connect.
Chris Godwin now comes back, but he's not throwing to his tight ends at all
in New England. Take my audience to how long it takes. New quarterback comes in,
receivers are in a system in your career. What should we expect from Brady? But when he's really
clicking, receivers, tight ends, and he feels very comfortable. It's going to take about four
games, four to five games. And had he had the preseason, you can practice all you want. But the
tempo and the pace, and especially mainly the speed that you practice at and you play at, it's
different just because of that adrenaline. It's going to take some time. Brady can watch them run
routes and you see a movement in their body. He's going to let the ball go because he
know what's come next. And in practice, you see that. But the game is such a faster tempo that
you might be a tad early or you might be a tad late. So it's going to take him some time to get
used to the speed of Mike Evans and Godwin in the game. When you're in the slot, a lot of the
timing is off. And so that's why Humphreys is getting the ball.
and it's looked like they have that connection because you don't have, quote-unquote, timing.
It's understanding defense, find a soft spot in his own.
You know, another, a star receiver, OBJ, admitted this week, he's like, I'm not going to get big numbers here.
Like, this is a running team.
And it's difficult because I'm sure, T.J, for you in high school, for you in junior college, for you in college, you know, you get the looks.
You're the star.
And then you go in the NFL, and OBJ is a star.
And now he ends up with a team where, to, you're a fan.
Fansky wants to run it.
They got two great running backs.
Baker's not a guy you want throwing 45 times a game.
Have you ever played with players that are super talented,
but they just have to come to terms with you're going to get six looks max and maybe four
catches?
No, not at all.
And he's saying all the right things.
And he's saying what he's supposed to say.
But I'll tell you, if he's not getting the looks and they're winning, he'll be okay.
But he's not going to be okay if that makes sense.
It's like, I want to contribute to us winning.
And they are best when they are running a ball.
When you have Chub and hunting, you look at what they did to the Bengals that they, in essence, won the game for him.
And if he can sprinkle in a big play here or there.
But I will tell you what, if he's not getting a ball, because he came into the league accustomed to getting looks, to getting targets every game, it's going to be hard now once he's established himself as a star as one of the better receivers in the league to say,
oh, I'm okay with taking a back seat.
Now, if they're winning, he's not going to gripe about it,
but privately he's not going to be happy about that.
So I thought on Monday Night Football, and I love Drew Brees,
but he didn't look great.
He didn't face a lot of pressure.
Raiders don't have a sack this year, and it was dump off city.
And, I mean, we know he's old.
We know he doesn't have a big cannon arm to begin with.
Do you think, as a receiver, you may not,
you may not say it publicly, but Michael Thomas may know,
Emanuel Sanders may know, listen, there's just throws my guy can't make anymore.
There's throws my guys can't make.
Do you confront the quarterback?
Do you talk a lot about, listen, listen.
I can shorten the route out.
I mean, how does that go as a quarterback does decline?
Nothing.
You just, you deal.
You don't say anything about that.
All athletes, you know, when your skills diminish, you don't want to be confronted about it.
and Sean Payton knows it.
Drew Breeze knows it.
Their offense is tailored to his strengths,
and they try to minimize his weaknesses,
and they don't go down the field.
Mike Thomas is hurt,
and so his security blanket, so to speak, was not there.
I recall one route in that game Monday night.
The tight end was running a deeper over route,
and he stopped, and there was nobody in that zone,
and Drew Breeze threw it like he was going to keep running,
And it looked like it was a bad throw by Breeze, but it was actually the tight end's fault.
He should have kept running.
You get probably a 15-yard game.
But if Mike Thomas is playing, Drew Breeze is going to play better because that's his security blanket.
Emmanuel Sanders and Mike Thomas, they're route runners.
They're going to get open.
They're not going to really get down the field, not Emmanuel anymore anyway.
And so it's just he doesn't have his best receiver.
When you don't have your best receiver, you're going to struggle.
And so he's struggling right now when Mike Thomas is, when he does come back to play,
fine. Are you surprised Seattle host Dallas this week? Are you surprised how good Russell Wilson's become? Did you see it early?
Are you, I mean, do you look at him sometimes and think he's the best football player in the world? I mean, right now, statistically, he's completing 85% of his throws. He's got 11 incompletions on the year, and that includes facing Belichick's defense and Belichick's wisdom and Belichick's secondary. Did you see it years ago, or are you surprised by Russell?
I'm going to be honest
You kind of
has sold me on Russell Wilson to be honest
You've talked about him so much
And I watch him more intently now
And I kind of try to study him
And the more you've talked about him
The more I've said like
Kelly Russell Wilson is really good
But I remember I played my one year
In Seattle and when I left
I was still friends with a lot of guys on a team
Guys in the front office
And coaches
and they straight up told me when they drafted him, bro, golly, you should still be here one more year.
This kid can really play.
He's going to be our starting quarterback.
I'm like, dude, he's a rookie.
He was like, listen, watch, he's going to be our starting quarterback.
So when he was a rookie, the guys that were there were already telling me this.
Now, the defense carries him to the Super Bowl.
And so you kind of overlook Russell Wilson.
And then Colin Coward starts talking about Russell Wilson.
and all myself and other people can think about is the Legion of Boom and that defense has carried you to a Super Bowl, Russell.
So that's in our head, but we're not really paying attention to what he's showing us since the defense is slowed down.
And I'm Russell Wilson and I'm one of the best quarterbacks in the league.
And so it's good that he's showing us that, but I'm not going to lie.
Had you not really made it a point, I would have still been giving the credit to the defense.
Yeah, no, I mean, Steve Young faced that with a nine.
You had Bill Walsh and Jerry Rice, and here came Steve Young after Joe Montana, and for years, nobody
appreciated how great Steve Young was because you had all these iconic figures around him.
Speaking of iconic, Cam Newton in New England, it's one, okay, listen, he's healthy, he's an athlete.
I get it.
I was shocked at how good he and Edelman were.
I was really shocked by it.
I mean, the guy was sharing snaps with Jared Stidham a month ago.
Are you surprised at Edelman?
They host the Raiders this week.
Edelman and Cam are so good, so early together.
It's crazy.
He plays two games with Cam Newton.
He has a career high and receiving yards of the game, right?
It makes no sense.
It's almost like when I look at it, I just think 1.5, that's his base salary,
seven and a half with incentives.
Philip River gets $25 million.
Like, are you kidding me?
And I'm not knocking Philip Rivers, but Cam Newton, he said he has a tip on his shoulder,
and he has something to prove.
and he was not lying.
Cam Newton looks good.
You're talking about Russell Wilson as a runaway MVP.
If New England can make the playoffs,
Camden is going to be right there in contention for MVP
if he can continue to play the way he's playing.
No training camp.
When I say no training camp, I mean no preseason games.
He signs late.
He's learning an offense on the fly.
And you come in here and you do this with receivers
that everybody says can't play.
I've been part of the guys that say that,
and he looks so good running and throwing.
I don't mind the last play.
Yeah, you could have gone to the well too many times,
but it was working.
It didn't work that time.
Had it worked, they would have said it was a great call.
But yeah, Cam Newton is playing this tail off,
and he said he was going to do it, and kudos to him.
Yeah.
Finally, Carson Wentz is very talented, but he's struggling.
And, you know, the word is all the people that watch film
are just basically saying he's pushing it.
He's trying too hard.
And it's interesting because he's been successful.
We know he's talented.
But, you know, the psychology of playing a quarterback, T.J., it can get in your head.
And Philadelphia is intense and the newspapers and the talk shows and they're beating on you.
And again, with Carson Wentz, did you ever play with a quarterback who was talented?
But, you know, when you were with Carson Palmer, was there a stretch ever where he was pushing?
I mean, you take me to that space.
What's it like?
What I see with Carson Wentz is, and we have to be.
to take into account. We got to stop talking about, oh, he almost won the NDP if he doesn't
get hurt. You got to remember, they won a Super Bowl without him. They were, I believe, five and six,
he gets hurt again. And then Nick Foles goes four and one with the same team. And so, yes,
Carson Wentz is talented physically, but is he talented mentally, is he stronger? He's lucky.
There's not fans in it. They would have completely booed him off the field for real and not just
the crowd noise.
And so you look, he took eight sacks in the first game against Washington.
Eight sacks.
And, oh, the Eagles are offensive line.
Oh, all these guys are hurt.
Through the first two weeks of the season, if you look at it,
their top five offensive line in league right now.
So this falls on Carson Wentz.
He has to get it fixed.
But the thing is, who do they go to?
They traded Nick Foles.
Who are they going to go to?
They don't have Nick Fos.
Are you going to say, okay, here we go, Jalen Hertz.
Here you go, Nate Sudfield.
I don't think so.
If he loses this week to the Bengals, it's a wrap.
It's just going to start snowballing.
His confidence is already low.
It's going to be completely gone.
And so, again, he's very talented physically,
but something in between the ears mentally isn't clicking for him.
Great stuff.
I love having you on the show.
You have a different perspective on everything you play the game.
You know the game.
And despite what you think, I cannot see the gray hair.
It is not visible on camera.
Mine are, yours aren't.
Good seeing you again, buddy.
Have a great weekend.
I appreciate you guys. You enjoy. You guys keep doing the great work you're doing. Thank you.
All right. TJ Hushmanzada. Yeah, first gray hair. And all of a sudden you wake up
next morning, you got two dozen, and then it's over. And then it's an apple. It's just your Santa.
You're just Santa. Imagine an Olympics where doping is not only legal, but encouraged.

Do you remember when Diana Ross
double-tap Little Kim's boobs at the VMAs?
Or when Kanye said that George Bush didn't like black people.
I know what you're thinking.
What the hell does George Bush got to do with Little Kim?
Well, you can find out on the Look Back at it podcast.
I'm Sam J.
And I'm Alex English.
Each episode, we pick it here, unpack what went down,
and try to make sense of how we survived it.
Including a recent episode with Mark Lamont Hill,
waxing all about crack in the 80s.
To be clear, 84 is big to me, not just because of crack.
I'm down to talk about crack on day, but just so you all know.
I mean, at this point, Mark, this is the second episode where we've discussed crack.
So I'm starting to see that there's a through line.
We also have AIDS on the table.
right now.
Thank you for finishing that sentence.
I don't think there's a more important year for black people.
Really?
Yeah.
For me, it's one of the most important years for black people in American history.
Listen to look back at it on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Welcome to my new podcast, Learn the Hard Way with me, your host, and your favorite therapist, Kear Games.
And in recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month, I'm bringing over a decade of my own experience in the mental health field.
and conversations with so many incredible guests.
I'm talking.
Tripp Fontaine, Ryan Clark.
Sometimes when we're in the pursuit of the thing,
we get so wrapped up in the chase
that we don't realize that we are in possession of the thing.
And we're still chasing it.
And we don't know when we've done enough.
Because people scoreboard watch.
Life becomes about wins and losses.
Steve Burns, Dustin Ross.
Because you find it important to be a good person
while you hear on earth.
Are you a good person because you're afraid?
Because that's two different.
intentions, bro. Absolutely.
And that's two different levels of trust.
I want you to just really be a good person.

No, no, no, no, no.
Turn on the news.
This is the herd line news.
Santa is beloved.
You know what?
It is, maybe women feel differently, but as a guy, it feels like gray hair gives you a little wisdom or something.
It gives you a stature.
I like saltine pepper.
Really?
I don't know.
I don't think it's not a big of a deal.
Guys get, see, women, I think we spend so much time on our appearance.
and like clothing and everything is just such a process and certain face lotions that go on certain parts of your face and you have night oil and day oil so it's like we're always on top of this so for men it's like more it's a more dramatic change am i off on that so you have night oil and day oil yeah i have a cream for like during the day and then a night i have a night oil because you can't put the oil on in the morning because you put the makeup on it's too much yes and every day you wear the routine is very important
How often now are you washing your hair?
Because you told me you did it once a year or something?
It was no less a year.
It was once every like six weeks.
A twist and the locks.
Now it's like every four days.
Okay.
I want to see.
Okay.
I'm really out of my league here, but there's a lot of stuff.
I don't have a night and a day oil.
I go to Jiffy Loop twice a year for the car.
That's oil for me.
I don't use any oils.
I think simple five skin care for men.
All right.
It's a process, Colin.
Ryan Fitzpatrick, I don't know if he has a day or night oil.
He has a beard.
He has not showed that he's ready to turn the dolphins over to two or just yet.
He led the dolphins to a 31-13 win over the Jaguars,
completing 18 and 20 passes for 160 yards,
scoring three total touchdowns.
And after the game, he talked about how much fun he's having out there.
It's why I still play.
I enjoy playing.
So, you know, especially when you're when you're having success,
when you're driving the ball down the field,
score and touchdowns. I mean, I just, you know, I feel like the luckiest guy in the world sometimes
getting to go outside and play football with my friends. He's a way better athlete than people
give him credit for. He can move. I mean, he made linebackers multiple times. Like, watch this.
Watch this move. He's making linebackers miss. He's out running, he's out running linebackers.
He's a very intelligent player. It's just that, you know, he's just not consistent enough
to have ever been in that franchise quarterback role. He's a little bit of a letter rip guy.
Yeah.
You know, we knock Derek Carr, Kirk Cousins.
They don't let it rip.
He's more, now, I think Eric Mangini's line earlier was perfect.
He said, fits magic is the perfect word because he makes things disappear.
Your wins are theirs.
It's a perfect way to put him.
He is magical.
Well, I mean, yeah, magic doesn't happen every day unless you're at Disneyland, you know.
So it makes sense.
I like that he's with the dolphins that, you know, he's, I like what the dolphins are doing and that they're building, right?
this is a rebuild the Dolphins are in,
which for the long time has been a word
that's been very upsetting for Dolphins fans,
but that's where they are.
But while you're rebuilding,
establish a winning culture,
and that's what Fitzpatrick can bring to you.
Not that he's going to be consistent
and maybe we'll get to the playoffs this year or not,
but you want to teach Tua how to go out there and make plays,
how to go out there and win,
how to wing it sometimes,
what happens when you're off script,
and teach him how to be a pro.
He's a valuable piece to have.
it's similar to an Alex Smith situation.
It's, I mean, it's what we thought was going to happen with Justin Herbert in,
in L.A. with the Chargers.
Like, coming in and having a veteran, teach you how to be a pro.
Film study.
Yes, like, all that stuff is a lot to transition from college to the NFL.
Tom Brady has made the most of his time,
made the most of his time with Randy Moss when they were both on the Patriots,
and he sees some similarities with Mike Evans and the Hall of Fame receiver.
From a physical standpoint, you know,
both big bodies and big catch radiuses, great body control, great understanding of the game, feel, instincts.
I mean, Randy's a Hall of Famer. I think Mike's going to be obviously one, too,
and it's just been amazing to play with him. I love playing with Mike. He's been just spectacular from the day I met him,
and admired him from afar for a long time. Well, Mike had seven receptions and 104 yards in a touchdown.
Just look at his body.
I mean, look at Mike Evans when he's running.
That is a 6-5 athlete.
Just look at his speed and his grace and his balance.
You're talking about a 6-5, 6-5-and-a-half athlete.
He looks like a tight end.
He's a guy you could put 20 pounds on him be a tight-in.
I mean, he is just an un...
I remember seeing him at Texas A&M.
And I was just like, you know, some guys don't, it doesn't work.
Like, you see a great college guy.
He just didn't even look like a college player.
You're just like, oh my God, he looks like an NFL guy as a sophomore in college.
Well, I mean, he's always been an impressive athlete, but now he's playing with Tom Brady,
who is incredibly accurate and meticulous in study.
And once he gets on the same page with you, we know what can happen.
That's what we're talking about with Randy Moss.
That's part of the reason why he went to Tampa Bay.
Also, what's great for Mike Evans is Chris Godwin's on the other side, and the tight end group
is excellent, so it's very hard to double Mike.
Keep everybody on the defense on us.
Mike's not going to see constant rolling.
coverage to his side. They face the Broncos Sunday at 4 Eastern on Fox. Jeff Driscoll will be getting
the start. That's going to be a fun game. It's interesting. Denver high altitude.
Tom Brady's had some issues there. So Jimmy Butler had plenty of praise for Tyler Hero after his
career performance in game four against the Celtics. And he kept showing his appreciation yesterday
when he wore Hero's high school jersey to eat practice yesterday. He also posted his picture on
Instagram with the caption, Baby Goat in the emojis.
Tyler Hero had 37.6 rebounds and three assists in an incredible game.
In game four for the heats, they play the Celtics.
Up 3-1 tonight, could close it out.
This is him walking in practice yesterday.
You know, it wasn't, I love this heat team.
It was not that long ago that young players in the league were not asked to shoot
threes.
In fact, it was a bad shot.
The fact that you're coming into the league, Tyler Hero, and like you're strongly
encouraged. It gives a guy confidence.
Like, now a coach, if you shoot a two and miss,
coaches are like, what's the point? Like the other night,
Kyle Kuzman last night hit a long two. And the announcer said,
long two by Kyle Kuzma. I'm like, those have been outlawed.
What's the, if you're going to do a two, it's got to be.
Right, you might as well shoot a three and miss a three.
Yeah, so it's like Tyler Hero, like they want him to,
he just go shoot threes, be aggressive.
And why not? The game evolves.
The game is now built for guys like this who can shoot.
The amount of basketball that these guys have played before they get to the NBA is remarkable.
Obviously, they're not playing the same amount in college because they're coming out early,
but AAU tournaments for years leading up until they get to the NFL.
Like, they have a lot more basketball experience.
And why not let them get in the league and develop their talent?
This is the perfect situation for him to gain confidence.
AAU and G League is much more, I would say, player-driven,
where college basketball tends to be coach-controlled.
So that's one of, anyway, I've said this before.
If I came out of high school and was a great player, I'd have, I do understand the plat,
if I was a superstar like Zion, I'd probably go to college for a year to advertise for shoe companies.
But if I was a young player, like I'm a seven-footer and I'm thinking, where can I develop my offensive game?
I would probably go to a G-League situation.
I think college tends to be, I love the platform of college for marketing in March Madness.
I mean, that's why Zion, we know who he is.
Right.
But guys like Tyler Hero, it's like, you've just got to go let him ball.
Let him play.
That's why the G League's going to be interesting, because if you've got some skill,
and you're not going to be a star, but you need to develop.
Well, we have all these European players coming over,
and they're playing against professionals when they're young.
Look at Luca.
It's a similar situation.
Like, college isn't the right thing for everyone.
I love college basketball.
March Madness is amazing, but everything isn't for everybody.
Good stuff, Joy with the News.
Well, that's the news.
And thanks for stopping by.
The Herdline News.
Jay Mack, Jason McIntyre, makes his NFL picks.
He's crazy, and he picks more upsets on the money than anybody I've ever met or had on this show.
Tomorrow's headlines today coming up.
Be sure to catch live editions of The Herd weekdays in noon Eastern, 9 a.m. Pacific on Fox Sports Radio, FS1, and the I-Hard Radio app.
Imagine an Olympics where doping is not only legal but encouraged.
It's the enhanced games.
Some call it grotesque.
say it's unleashing human potential.
Either way, the podcast's Superhuman documented it all,
embedded in the games and with the athletes
for a full year. Within
probably 10 days, I put on 10 pounds.
I was having trouble stopping
the muscle growth.
Listen to Superhuman on the I-Hard Radio
app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you

A win is a win. A win is a win.
I don't care what I'm saying.
Yep, that's me. Cliver Taylor

the reactions, my journey from basketball to college football,
or my career in sports media.
Well, somewhere along the way,
this platform became bigger than I ever imagined.

Do you remember when Diana Ross
double-tap Little Kim's boobs at the VMAs?
Or when Kanye said that,
George Bush didn't like black people.
I know what you're thinking.
What the hell does George Bush got to do a little kill?
Well, you can find out on the Look Back at it podcast.
I'm Sam J.
And I'm Alex English.
Each episode, we pick it here, unpack what went down, and try to make sense of how we survived it.
Including a recent episode with Mark Lamont Hill, waxing all about crack in the 80s.
To be clear, 84 is big to me, not just because of crack.
I'm down to talk about crack on day, but just so y'all know.
I mean, at this point, Mark, this is the second episode where we've discussed crack.
So I'm starting to see that there's a through line.
We also have AIDS on the table right now.
Thank you finishing that sentence.
Yes.
I don't think there's a more important year for black people.
Really?
Yeah.
For me, it's one of the most important years for black people in American history.
Listen to look back at it on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Welcome to my new podcast, Learn the Hardway with me, your host, and your favorite things.
Careers, Kear Games.
And in recognition of mental health awareness month,
I'm bringing over a decade of my own experience
in the mental health field and conversations
with so many incredible guests.
I'm talking, Tripp Fontaine, Ryan Clark.
Sometimes when we're in the pursuit of the thing,
we get so wrapped up in the chase
that we don't realize that we are in possession of the thing
and we're still chasing it.
And we don't know when we've done enough.
Because people scoreboard watch.
Life becomes about wins and losses.
Steve Burns,
Dustin Ross, because you find it important to be a good person while you hear on earth,
or are you a good person because you're afraid?
Because that's two different intentions, bro.
Absolutely.
And that's two different levels of trust.
I want you to just really be a good person.
Join me, Kear Gaines, is we have real conversations about healing, growth, fatherhood, pressure, and purpose.

Great to have him in.
He's got a new podcast, Straight Fire, with Jake.
Jason McIntyre.
J. Mack joins our show on Friday.
We just love having a mom.
He's joining us now live from undisclosed location right down the street from my house.
All right.
You know you love your jets.
They're a mess.
I'm not going to waste anybody's time.
Worst team in the NFL.
By the way, quick question, if they went two and 14 and had the number one pick,
would you dump Sam Darnold for Trevor Lawrence?
I would say, depending on who the new coach is,
If he wants Trevor Lawrence, let's bring him in.
I mean, you've got to go with the coach.
It worked with Cliff Kingsbury and Kyler Murray.
They dumped Josh Rosen.
I think that worked out well.
Listen, if the new coach wants Lawrence, I love Darnold.
I know you like him too, but you got to go with who the new coach wants.
You need that uniformity.
All right.
Tomorrow's headlines today.
What's the headline going to be for Raiders at the Patriots?
Well, I mean, Colin, the Raiders, probably the biggest surprise in the league.
They're 2-0, but the headline.
will be Superman Shalax, the silver and black.
I think this is a great spot for the New England Patriots.
Listen, I know Drew Breeze was pretty bad on Monday night, right?
And the Raiders handled it.
But Colin, who doesn't look bad after two nights in Vegas?
Okay, they really made Breeze look bad.
They're not going to do the same to Cam Newton.
This is a matchup of Bill Belichick, one of the greatest football minds ever,
and John Gruden, one of the loudest football coaches ever.
And I think Belichick off a loss, huge advantage.
He's 51 and 26 against the spread after a defeat.
And, you know, we know what he's going to do to Derek Carr.
He's going to say, hey, I'm taking away your tight end, Darren Waller.
Go ahead and beat me with Hunter Renfro and Henry Ruggs if he's healthy.
Josh Jacobs, by the way, is going to be running behind a beat-up offensive line.
Looks like they're going to be down two starters.
I love the Patriots here.
They're big favorites, but I'll take them at favor by six.
tomorrow's headlines today.
What's the headline for the Bucs at the Broncos?
Tom Brady goes to mile high.
I know the professional gamblers are going to laugh.
I'm looking at another favorite, but the headline will be Tom Tames, the Broncos.
Look at that great photo.
Tom Brady.
Listen, Colin, here's your stat of Friday.
Tom Brady has started nine Super Bowls.
Jeff Driscoll of the Broncos has started eight games in his career.
Okay, I know he was serviceable against the Steelers.
last week, but there was no tape on him. Now, okay, they've got tape on him. And I think Driscoll,
just too tall of an order. This is a buck's defense, by the way, force four turnovers
against Carolina. By the way, Tampa, I loved them last week. They cover against Carolina. They
were winning 21-0, Colin. Yeah. The receivers dropped seven passes in that game. Chris Godwin is back.
Broncos are beat up. I cannot make a case at all for Denver here. I know the altitude gives them
an advantage, but I'm telling you, there's another by-low spot. People said,
man, Brady look washed against the Saints.
Okay, we're now two weeks later.
He looks great.
Here come the Buccaneers.
Tomorrow's headlines today.
What's the headline for the Cowboys
Against the Seahawks in Seattle?
Ooh, I know your guy, Russell Westbrook.
He's going to be wearing a backwards hat on the sideline.
The headline will be Russ Cooks, but won't feed Zeke.
I like Seattle here, Colin.
This is a Seattle team that is an offensive juggernaut against a Dallas defense
that is, I mean,
one of the worst in the league.
Colin, they have two sacks in two games.
They've forced seven punts in eight quarters.
They can't stop anybody.
We saw Matt Ryan go up and down the field against him in the opener.
They were not very good against Jared Goff.
Listen, I'm not too bullish on Seattle.
A lot of people love them as a Super Bowl team.
Their defense is pretty shoddy, okay?
Cam Newton, I mean, he looked like the old MVP Cam Newton last week.
I don't love Seattle, but I do like them in this spot.
Dallas has a long way to go.
love Mike McCarthy and Dak Prescott.
I think Rush shows him up here.
Easy victory for Seattle.
Tomorrow's headlines today.
What's it going to be for the Packers at the Saints?
Yeah, this is a fun one.
Sunday night football.
I've got your headline.
It will be Breeze beats the cheese.
Aaron Rogers.
Listen, they're a soft to an O'Colin, right?
They beat the Vikings.
They beat the Lions.
I've seen tougher competition at my daughter's second grade spelling
beat.
Seriously, the Packers have beat.
nobody and here come Drew Breeze and the Saints off a loss.
Okay, they're at home.
I know the crowd won't be there, but this narrative that Drew Breeze is washed and he's toast.
Colin, they average seven and a half yards per play against the Raiders.
They led 17-7 late in the first half.
The penalties are what did them in.
I think they'll tighten it up.
Big game from Alvin Kamara.
He will run all over this Packers defense.
I like the Saints here to rebound strong.
It's not one of my blazing five picks, but somebody I know who bad.
That's a lot of money and a lot of games.
Loves the Saints this weekend.
You've got to love them here.
Yep.
Tomorrow's headlines today, what's it going to be for Chiefs at the Ravens on Monday night?
Yeah, it feels like the game of the year only in week three.
The headline will be simply LaMovolous.
I like the Ravens here.
Now, remember, they met last year in week three, Colin.
It was like Lamar Jackson's 11th career start.
They fell behind big.
But listen, this is a Chief's defense that cannot stop the.
run. They gave up a buck 83 to the chargers last week. I like the Ravens who have the number one
rushing offense in the league. They're going to ground and pound you. And listen, Andy Reid and Mahomes,
no, we've won a Super Bowl. Week three doesn't mean anything. You know that the Ravens still have a lot
to prove Lamar Jackson, no playoff wins. I think they need this to continue to build confidence
because they can crush the Texans all they want. They can cream the Browns. They need quality wins.
And I think this is one they pick up. I actually like the Ravens here. Kind of consistent.
considerably. They're favored by three. You've got to take the Ravens here, Colin.
I liked him, too. By the way, about 45 seconds left. Adam Gase, how long do you give him before
you pull the plug with the Jets? Listen, if they get destroyed by the Colts and we're looking at, you know, 35-0 or something,
I would not be shocked if come Monday morning we're hearing rumblings that Gaze is on his way out here before
Halloween. Like, it has been a total clown show. I'm ready to admit, Colin, I was very wrong about
Adam Gaze. When Peyton Manning gives somebody a vote of confidence, you listen, right?
And I thought Peyton Manning knew what he was talking about.
Adam Gaze is not a leader of men. I'm disappointed. And it's tough. I can't come on here and wax poetic about the Jets and they're going to the playoffs because you won't let me because they stink.
Yeah. Good point. Jason McIntyre. Jason McIntyre. Fox Sports Radio show he does it every Saturday, 10 to 1 Eastern. It's a good listen. I listen to it every week. All right, buddy. Good talking to you.
See you.
Yeah.
No, I do think the game for Gate,
they're going to get,
they're going to get whacked against the Colts this weekend.
But I do think the following week,
they come home and they face Denver.
And if Denver gets beat by the Buccaneer soundly,
Jeff Driscoll's coming into town and you can't beat him,
then it's, I think Gase is in big trouble.
Matt Patricia feels done.
Dan Quinn feels done.
That onside kick for Dan Quinn was not good for Dan Quinn.
That was bad news.
All right.
There we go.
for Joy, I, me, John Goulet and everybody here in our crew.
We got through another week.
It's fun.
We got football.
Tonight, Heat and the Celtics.
Miami tries to wrap it up and get to the finals.
We'll see you.
Another podcast from some SNL, late-night comedy guy, not quite.
