Now, it works a lot of the times, but are you a little concerned with that they can get predictable on offense? And they kind of, people know they're going to throw the ball a lot. Do you worry a little bit about their predictability on offense?

I'll tell you what, over the last month or so of the season, they've gotten this run game going on the season they've gotten up to top five in the NFL, top six in the NFL in running backs yards per carry. Now, they don't run it a ton. but they are the only team in the NFL to run for over 100 yards in each game this season. So, yes, there is a predictability factor, and that does hurt the offensive line at times. When the offensive line and the defensive line for the other team know that it's a pass a majority of the time, they can pin their ears back and attack the quarterback. But that being said, this is a team that they believe, and I do as well, that if the weather

dictates that you have to run the football, that they can get it done. listen, Dawson Knox, Stefan Diggs are great. Gabriel Davis sort of feels like he's been, he's vanished a little bit. Do you worry they're a little Stefan Diggs-centric on the perimeter? You know, that gives offense's opportunities to double in bracket. Do you worry about that a little? Yeah, and that's part of the reason that you see John Brown and Cole Beasley coming back to Buffalo for a second reunion tour.

And that's because they're not getting the production from Gabe Davis that they thought they would this year. In the slot, James and Crowder, who's brought in from the Jets last year, he gets hurt early in the season. Now, he's back in his 21-day windows open, but he's not going to play this week. And so part of the reason that you see that Cole Beasley and John Brown are back because they're looking for more answers outside. And that's where you've seen the running backs get involved in the past game as well, because the ball's getting spread around. The last few games, eight, nine receivers or pass catchers per game. Yeah. Because they're looking for that number two option. Yeah, no, that's true. Now, you're going to play in Atlanta.

I think Atlanta does big events about as well as any city in this country. They've got it dialed in, public transportation, world-class airport, hotels, restaurants. They do it great. But there are those that don't love the choice in Buffalo, the team you know well, the culture. Is there a feeling that, hey, you're taking away one of our advantages. We're a cold weather team? Not necessarily. I mean, we just talked. about it. This team is built to throw the football. So you put them in a dome and they're in great shape. I know Indianapolis was talked about early. That's somewhat of a midpoint between Kansas City and Buffalo if they were going to play in the AFC championship game. And they're hosting a

volleyball tournament. It reminds me a little bit in the summertime when I commit to things way out. And then you get a way better offer and you've got to figure out a way to get out of it. They committed to a volleyball tournament, not even at Lucas Oil, but occupying so many of their hotel rooms that they couldn't host. Detroit is doing something with their field. That was another logical destination. But Atlanta, you know, that city, that economy doesn't necessarily need another big time event to come through. But they are one heck of a host that was down there most recently, probably for that Louisville National Championship that it now exists again. Sean McDermott has had to navigate a highly traumatic and emotional locker room. You know Sean very,

very well. Why was he able to, why was he so equipped to handle it the way he did? I've said it many times. Sean's the most consistent person I've ever been around in my entire life. And so the relationship that he's built with in the organization, with everyone involved, including the players, allowed him to lead through this circumstance, which was extreme low emotions to then extreme high emotions to where, you know, you're entering a football game with this great news of DeMar being neurologically excellent, full lung function, but now you want to play and win for tomorrow and you have all that emotion. Sean is the steadying presence and always has been. Each and every season is a roller coaster ride in itself this season, having some of the

highest highs and lowest lows with all of what Western New York has been through since last May with the racially motivated mass shooting. And Sean has been the perfect person to navigate them through at all. So you're a Bill's radio analyst. You've been in the chair for every game. And I'll give you the underdogs this weekend. I'll take the Bills game out. The Seahawks are an underdog. The Jags are an underdog. The Giants are. The Ravens are. The Buccaneers. Go back to all the teams you've seen. Is there a live underdog this weekend? Is there a team in this league that you've sat in your Bill's chair that one of these teams you've watched and thought, boy, that would be a scary first round playoff team.

I don't know about any of those that the bills have played this year. If I'm looking at the matchups, I know that that six, that, that five, four matchup is generally where you'll see some upsets. Jacksonville's been playing really good ball. Trevor Lawrence just adds to an incredible AFC cast of quarterbacks. And, you know, from the outside looking in, everyone's in love with Justin Herbert. everyone knows the star power that LA has, but it would not surprise me to see Jacksonville get that win. Yeah, it is when you look at the AFC, of course, with the bills, you see a lot of the AFC.

Miami was a handful early in the season. Now they're on a third quarterback, not so much. What is it going to be the special sauce? I've said sometimes I compare them to heavyweight fights. I don't think Cincinnati has the knockout punch of Buffalo, but they've got a better jab. You know, like Buffalo sometimes worries me, Red Zone, Josh, more mistakes. What is the sense with Josh Allen's increase in Red Zone turnovers? What is the feeling? Is it a Brian Daible? Is it a predictability passing?

How do you view that? You know, I think at times early on it was pressing. It was trying to make plays that weren't there, that we haven't seen Josh. do in a long time. Last week, he gets hit while he's throwing and makes a play in the red zone that you just can't have. And I think it's part of it's pressing. You know, you're just trying to make a play.

You're trying to live up to the hype. And Josh wants to do everything for this team. That's why he throws his body around like he does. And making those decisions in the playoffs are likely, you know, let's assume the bills get through the Dolphins this week. You play the Bengals and you play the Chiefs. Those are three fairly even-matched teams. With fairly even-in-the-match teams, if you show me after the game,

the Red Zone touchdown percentage and the turnover differential, and you're likely going to see the winner. And so when it comes to Red Zone turnovers, that's crushing you in both departments. Who do the Bills match up? I'll reverse it. Who scares you more? Bills Kansas City or Bill's Cincinnati.

When you look at their personnel, you know it well. If you could say, okay, we'll play these guys instead of those guys. Bengals Chiefs, what's a tougher matchup in your opinion, not to look too far ahead for Buffalo? I would honestly say Cincinnati, and it's because of the star power at receiver. Now, with Kansas City, you have Travis Kelsey, but then the guys on the outside, they're all great players. They're good players in this league. But when you have the star power receiver that the Bengals have in Chase Higgins and then Boyd in the slot, those are matchup nightmares on the outside.

Bill's traditionally this year have struggled against teams a number one receiver. When a team has a bona fide number one receiver, the bills have struggled. Now Trinavius White is coming back. He's further along off of his comeback from the ACL. So he is playing better ball. And the bills are hoping through the playoffs that that'll be a remedy for that situation.

But to me, it would be the Bengals. And Kansas City may say the same thing about Cincinnati, considering they've lost the last two times they played them. You were in the stadium when, Heinz takes the opening kickoff back. I was just watching on TV with Jim Nance and Romo. In your life of football, had you ever experienced anything like it?

I haven't. I mean, it was the full buildup of the week. It was being in the stadium in Cincinnati, where I'm originally from and watching Pay Corp Stadium be louder than I've ever heard it before, to then being just silent in the emotion and the terror and the shakiness of the entire situation leading to the week of what ends up being a celebration. They honor the trainers pregame, and they wanted them to run out of the tunnel potentially,

and they said, look, we got to work. And so they just show a video, which just shows the selflessness of the trainers that were involved in the Domar Hamelin situation. But then for Heinz to run back, his first kickoff return touchdown of his career, to run that opening kickoff back, to see the tier streaming down. Sean McDermott's face to see Josh Allen's face. I couldn't look down at the monitor calling the game where I would have gotten in motion to myself. I've never seen anything like it. And it was the culmination of just a very traumatic week that turned into a celebration.

Eric Wood, Bill's Radio, former pro bowler, heavy favorites against kind of a banged-up quarterback situation for Miami. They should be heavy favorites. They are heavy favorites. And as always, the bills have done such a good job over the last couple of weeks. What a class organization and their fans. And tip of the cap to the Bengals fans, by the way, during the Hamlin crisis, how classy they were and how they handled it. It just made me feel good about the national football league. It's hard not to root for Buffalo.

I'll tell you that. Good seeing, Eric. Yeah, always, Colin. Yeah. Sean McDermott's interesting. I was looking up months and months ago, probably six months ago, start of the season, his resume. And I think if I recall, he was a wrestler, just a bottom line, creature, a habit,

likes things his way. He's a very consistent guy, bed early, up early. You know what you get. Consistent personality. No BS. And I think in situations like that, you can really look to Sean McDermott. I always feel like Mike Tomlin has that. The Steelers this year had some real crises with their quarterback stuff, not life-threatening stuff. And Tomlin's such a predictable, solid rock for the Steelers. You can kind of lean on him. and I think Sean McDermott, it speaks well to his personality, judge a coach in crisis, and Buffalo's crisis is like none in my life. The whole organization handled it so well.

This is the Heard Line News. It starts with the 49er Seahawks game, third meeting this season. Now, I know we talked about it a lot. Colin, I was just looking at the weather. They are calling for a massive downpour and wins. Yes. In Northern California, let that factor into your handicap. Absolutely.

It's both I follow weather. So Saturday, Sunday, California, Northern California, is getting clobbered. Buried, yeah. It's supposed to rain here in Southern California. And wind. So it's not just rain. Brock Purdy's ball falls short.

Pick six. It's on Brock Purdy now, huh? All right. Okay. Well, the Niners won both the matchups in the regular season. Kyle Shanahan isn't paying much attention to the history the team has with the opponent.

Here's what he said. You don't get to surprise teams that much in situations like this. But that's how it's been with us in Seattle for a number of years. Usually every time we play, it comes down to the wire. usually the last possession, and that's what we're working and getting ready to fight for.

I just look at it as we got to beat them on Saturday. I don't think the other games have anything to do with it at all. It comes down to this. Windy, wet, often means more turnovers. San Francisco could be a tad tight. Brock Purdy's first playoff game. I think it's closer than everybody thinks. Fox bets at nine and a half.

A couple other markets, gambling operators have gone. down up to 10 in the last half hour, as this weather looks like it's going to be worse. Who does it favor in the slop? Brock Purdy loves the slop or Gino Smith in the mud? Who you got? It favors low scoring and 10 points is a ton in a 2317 game. I mean, I just, that's what I feel, you think it's going to be 3714? You think they're going to drop numbers like that?

I think it's just going to be a classic rivalry division, sloppy, wet, windy game. Total is 42 and a half. Okay, so what does that tell you? That lines up with your 2317. Yeah, I mean, so what's the over under? 42 and a half. I just took the under within the last 10 minutes. Okay.

Not that I'm betting during the show, but I am betting during the show. You bet whenever you have to bet. Yeah, anytime you see an edge, grab it, worry about the rest later. Next up, Dak Prescott tied for the most interceptions during the regular season with 15, and he's thrown one in each of the last seven games. Damn, despite those stats, Jerry Jones is standing by his QB. He feels confident Dak can turn things around in the playoffs. It's in Dak's DNA, not to turn the ball over.

I have all the confidence in the world that he, as a player, has all the right balance of confidence or all the right balance of aggressiveness as it pertains to a turnover. He understands turnover better than all of us put together. Well, that was true until this year. So his DNA is not a turnover-driven DNA. But offensive lines a little bit in a rebuild, right? They could use another receiver. Is CDLama 1?

I think he is. A lot of people don't. It was great as a two last year. Is he the best two in the league, or is he a week one? I don't know. I think he's pretty good. So I guess my point is, if a guy doesn't throw turnovers in his career, and then as a turnover-plagged year,

there's usually a symptom, there's a reason for it. And I think they're asking DAC this year when the running game has been hit and miss. Some Sundays, it's great. If you go look at the bad performances, they almost all line up to the running game can't get going. Remember when he was a game manager his first year? I think he had like 23 touchdowns, four picks.

That was exactly what you want from deck. Yes. This needs to be a 15-carry Tony Pops. Pollard game. But 15 for Tony Pollard, 15 for Zeke. Grounded Pound. That Tampa Front is not what it used to be. The defense is just not as great as it was. I looked yesterday. Am I the only person that loves Dallas? I love Dallas. You might be. I love Dallas this weekend. Or Monday. I really, this is my favorite pick. Tom Brady at night, you know. He's in his pajamas. Pretty much, yeah. Eating pudding, getting sleepy. Imagine if it goes overtime. That's way past his

Oh, my God. Just double overtime. Totally right. Tom will fall asleep in the huddle. No, I think they change the overtime rules for the playoffs. I have to look them up before I talk about. Yeah, what do they do now? I don't want to speak out and get called out by the people who watch the show.

But there are new overtime rules for the playoffs. At any rate, final story, the Bears announced that they have hired Big Ten Commish, Kevin Warren. He's a sheriff. He could be the next president and CEO. Warren was with the conference for nearly three years. And before that, spent over two decades in front offices of Vikings, Lions, and Rams. Colin, you got a GM who did not draft Justin Fields and you have a new president and CEO. This is interesting. They have the number one pick. I thought, okay, Justin Fields is the guy.

I don't know. I'm not as certain as I was before. Let's fix the offensive one. Let's get him another tight ending. I'm going to trade down. Get as many picks. By the way, hey, we might need to take an L on that. Chris Claypool pickup. He did not have good numbers with the Bears at all. Okay, well, you inserted in the middle of the season. Let's give him an offseason, an OTA, a preseason. Let's give Justin a little more growth, protection.

You know what? I went to PFF. Check me and Brian, I could be wrong. I don't think their tackles are as bad as you think. I think it's the interior old line. Maybe with that second round pick they can go get. I think he got sacked more than anyone in the league. Well, I know.

But some of that, remember, with a rookie, with young, quarterbacks, they often get, they create sacks. So some of those sacks, you know, they always said that about Russell Wilson early. Some of his sacks were on Russell. So sometimes athletic quarterbacks, Josh Allen, create their own sacks, right? They tend to leave the pocket sooner. So I will say this. The Bears tackles, am I right on that, Ryan?

I don't think they're terrible. They rate okay. I think it's the Interior O line. The good news is the second round's got three centers, two of them, big 10, three of them, Georgia, Minnesota, and Ohio State. Yeah, Big Ten always produces great, especially Iowa, all kinds of linemen, yeah. So go get some, go get an interior old lineman with that second pick. But remember, one of the knocks on fields in the draft process was he had, and I'm not bagging on the guy, this is what they said, slow eyes.

He was not quick. He was not quick to identify the defense and the receivers and the coverage. He wasn't really processing as fast as you need. And again, I'm not bashing. How many young quarterbacks have fast eyes? What does that mean? Trevor Lawrence? Well, he wasn't very good as a rookie.

He was not. I mean, what does fast eyes mean? I mean, just quick to identify what the defense is doing, where the safeties are, is this, are they rushing three and dropping eight? You know, like the Bears passing game was not very good. Well, again, the O line and the receiving core is anemic. I have a defensive coach. I would keep fields for sure. Yeah, I would too.

Do you even think Bryce Young is worthy of being a number one pick? I don't. I like them, but I'm not taking it first. His prototype for size does not match the NFL. And by the way, Sean Payton talks a lot. People miss that. First 15 picks, do not draft a quarterback. You have to be of size.

And now people are trying to tell us that the Arizona Cardinals are going to get John Payton. He sat out. People, it's like they're not watching or listening. Well, come on, people. He said the prototype is basically a big strapping quarterback that could take hits. That's why people like Will Levis. Big thing. See, J. Strahs, like, 6.3.215.

6-3-2-20. Bryce Young is, I'll let you. If you could, I've thought about this. I don't think Bryce Young or Stroud, either one's good enough to overcome chaos. So put that out there. I mean, hell, you, I don't even know if you and I can overcome chaos. It's tough, man. No, it's, most people can't.

So occasionally you can. So Trevor Lawrence can, Andrew Luck can, Elway, that kind of stuff. So I'm not sure I'd take Bryce Young over C.J. Stroud. And I don't love C.J. Stroud. I like him, but I don't think he's a great prospect. There's two A pluses next year, Carolina kid, USC kid. But I'll just say, if you watch the Georgia game for the first time, you were in a coma for five years, woke up.

The first game you watched was CJ Stride against Georgia, you'd be blown away and be like, this guy's a superstar. Yeah, that's... He made every play in that game. Well, also, I'd never seen that version of him. I'd never seen the running CJs. Justin Herbert, the comparison? Very Justin Herbert.

Justin Herbert sat in the pocket. Rose Bowl, Mario Cristobol lets him go. and I have two GMs that were at the game and they're like, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Who is this? Whoa, that's a different quarterback. So, C.J. Stroud, if you just, I mean, to me, what game matters to watch C.J. Stroud?

The only game of his college career that matters. His last one against the best defense. I don't want to see him against Northwestern. I don't care. It doesn't matter. Give me the Georgia tape. All I need to see. That's when he's allowed his last college game

to do his thing, Herbert, Wisconsin. So that tape tells me, people undervalued Herbert until that game, They're undervaluing C.J. Strauss. Do you remember Mahomes coming out of college? No, not really. So I got him way wrong because all I'm thinking is out, they play no defense in the Big 12.

He's barely a 500 quarterback. He's running around and just chucking it, making plays. Like, there's arena league defense happening there. I didn't buy Mahomes as a quarterback. You see him in the NFL. Dandy Reid, he's a Hall of Famer. Incredible. J. Mack with the news.

I'm just looking at all these, tomorrow's supposed to be a blazing five day. I'm not sure if I'm going to do one. I'm going to sleep on it tonight. Why don't you do a blazing six? Nobody goes six for six. In the regular season, I got 15 games or so to choose from,

14, 15. So it's easy to pick four or five good games. But now I got six games. And they're the sharpest lines because there's only six games. Yeah, and it's like I don't love. wrong the seven seeds are 0 and 4 so if Seattle and Miami are probably going to lose the question is what's the score I think Miami I don't think there'll be a bunch of blowouts I'll give you one Raven Cincinnati's going to be close Cincinnati's better yeah but But Burrough has struggled. Chargers, Jags feels like a coin toss. I think Mike Williams can play. I like the Chargers. Some of the analytic stuff leans L.A. a little bit.

We'll see. All right. We're going to play playoff pressure cooker. You give me the team. Is it low pressure, medium pressure, high pressure? Ready to go? Yes, a lot of pressure this weekend. Colin, how much pressure is on the Kansas City Chiefs

to make the Super Bowl after last year's disappointment? Make the Super Bowl. I think it's high pressure. So they want to prove, we lost Tyreek Hill, we are fine. They're also favorites to win the Super Bowl. They have the number one offense. And I think the standard now for Andy Reed and Mahomes is historic. It's not for Cincinnati and Buffalo yet.

These guys are playing. This is Belichick Brady, the beginning of it. We kind of feel like their standard is the league standard. so there's pressure to get high pressure to get to the Super Bowl. We'll keep going with the elite teams. How much pressure is on Buffalo to make the Super Bowl after preseason? They were the favorites. I think there's high pressure and I think they're feeling it.

Listen, we've seen a lot of big blowout wins. Let's get to a Super Bowl. This team right now has not yet delivered. They're the favorite preseason. I went and looked it up this morning. Fox Bet had him as the favorite to win the Super Bowl. they've yet to get to one. So I feel like, okay, they've done a lot right.

Let's, they've beaten Kansas City before, right? Yeah. But it's time now. We've got to see a payoff here for the Vaughn Miller. And I know he's out, but they've spent some money on Diggs. Yeah. They've spent some money on the free agent market. It's time to deliver on all these, all the hype.

All right. How much pressure on the Bengals to get back to the Super Bowl? Back to back. I think low to medium. They overachieve last year. Now they're offensive line. Alex Kappa, Lyle Collins, kind of falling apart. So if they lose, there's an out. Also, I think maybe in a year, you know, if they got doused early, but I think this is the year Buffalo.

So chiefs have been to a Super Bowl. Bengals have been to a Super Bowl. Now it's time for Josh Allen. So Burrow and Mahomes have been there. We know there's three teams we all like. Kansas City Buffalo Centenetti. Two have been to a Super Bowl. Buffalo hasn't.

So I don't think they're the gold standard of football. I think Kansas City is so medium pressure. How much pressure on the Jacksonville Jags to make the Super Bowl? Low. This whole season's been a win for them because it was such a mess last year. I mean, they had the worst scoring offense in the NFL last year. And over the previous five years, they had the worst record in the league. So I think everything post- Thanksgiving has been an absolute gift.

I think they're ahead of schedule. Now, you liked them. did like them, you thought they could be a playoff team. I didn't. I didn't trust them. But they do feel like to me, they've gotten better, quicker. Yeah. Then we thought. This feels like what we thought they'd be next year. And they're already here. Low pressure. Now, the L.A. Chargers, how much pressure on them to make the Super Bowl? Medium, because I don't think, you know, I mean, Mahomes, Burrow Allen.

Yeah. But they've got, there's massive pressure to win a playoff game. Maybe more than anybody this weekend. Yeah. They spent over $200 million in free agency. The coach is on the hot seat. So we know, you know, Reed and Sean McDermott, you know, a lot of these teams, we know the coach is good. There's some issues, a lot of people, if they went out and got doused by Jacksonville, and I mean, 3110. I think Brandon Staley is in big trouble.

Yeah. So I think the only reason that's not high. pressure because you said Super Bowl. I think if they got to the conference championship, there'd be a sense in Los Angeles, that's great. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Pressure on the Baltimore Ravens to make the

Super Bowl. Low. Yeah. I mean, what are they on there? Are they on there third or fourth? Second or third straight quarterback, we don't even know as of right now. Yeah. Low pressure. Yeah. All right, let's get to Miami Dolphins. Low pressure.

How about win this weekend? Is there pressure on them this weekend? No. First of all, they beat Buffalo this year, and they played them great the second time. Remember that game in Buffalo? They outplayed. They outplayed the bills. They lost. I think they've, I think Mike McDaniel had two great game plans against Sean McDermott. Tough to employ it was your third string quarterback. I think they actually match up with Buffalo pretty well with Tua. So I think we all know at this point. You have no shot to go to Buffalo with Skyler Thompson and win. All right. And the NFC, number one. How much pressure on the Eagles? I would say only medium. They've never won a playoff game.

Jalen Hertz has one playoff game. Let's not go crazy here. This is not Mahomes. This is not Burrough. They're 10 and 21 without Lane Johnson at right tackle. There are many people, I'm one of them, that expect the playoffs to be much tougher. Even if they have to play the Giants again, they're better.

But they don't win without Lane Johnson. Last four or five years. They don't. They struggle. What about the Niners? How much pressure on them to make the Super Bowl? with their third string quarterback. I need to.

Medium, because no rookie quarterback's ever made the Super Bowl. I think it's an easy out. Is Debo Samuel going to play? Third string quarterback gives Kyle Shanahan an out. Now, if they lost to Seattle, there's going to be some heat. But if they lost at Philadelphia, I don't think anybody's going crazy with Brock Purdy. That's a big task for Brock Purdy to go to like a Philadelphia in the conference championship and win. Minnesota Vikings, any pressure on them to make the Super Bowl?

No, medium pressure, because I think Kevin O'Connell is arguably coached-year material. Won't win at Day Bullwood, but they have the second worst defense in the league. I mean, I'm sorry, but Kirk Cousins has a label. It's fair. Rookie coach, horrible defense. I think if they can beat the Giants, you take a deep breath as a Viking fan, because I think in Minnesota they have concerns this weekend that New York's going to run it down their throat. All right.

Now, this next one's tricky. How much pressure is on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to make the Super Bowl? I think low. Really? I think Brady's divorce, Todd Bowles. I think everybody understands the injuries. It started in camp. Their offensive lines am mess, low pressure.

But don't they understand Brady's gone? I mean, everybody's got a ticket for somewhere. This is it with Brady. Mike Evans and God would know. Ain't nobody coming in here who's as good as Tom Brady. Is this our last shot getting to Super Bowl for a while? I think they've got a ring and they're satisfied. If Tom leaves, he got us a ring.

That's good enough. Satisfied with a. Ooh, okay. All right. Let's move on to the Dallas. Cowboys. Jerry Jones hasn't made the Super Bowl. What is it? 94, 95. I think it's medium. Jerry Jones took the pressure off. Jerry Jones came out and said, I'm not firing him. Unless they completely unravel, which I don't think Tampa can blow at anybody, unless they completely unravel.
