This is an I-Heart podcast.
Guaranteed Human.
Another podcast from some SNL, late-night comedy guy, not quite.
Unhumor me with Robert Smygel and friends.
Me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman
help make you funnier.
This week, my guest, SNL's Mikey Day and head writer Streeter Seidel,
help an a cappella band with their between songs banter.
Where does your group perform?
We do some retirement homes.
Those people are starving for banter.
Listen to humor me with Robert Smigel
and friends on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Imagine an Olympics where doping is not only legal, but encouraged. It's the enhanced games.
Some call it grotesque. Others say it's unleashing human potential. Either way, the podcast's
superhuman documented it all, embedded in the games and with the athletes for a full year.
Within probably 10 days, I'd put on 10 pounds. I was having trouble stopping the muscle growth.

On the Look Back at it podcast.
From 1979, that was a big moment for me.
84 was big to me.
I'm Sam J.
And I'm Alex English.
Each episode, we pick a year, unpack what went down,
and try to make sense of how we survived it.
With our friends, fellow comedians, and favorite authors.
Like Mark Lamont Hill on the 80s.
84 was a wild year.
It was a wild year.
I don't think there's a more important year for black people.
Listen to look back at it on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Thanks for listening to The Heard Podcasts. Be sure to catch us live every weekday on Fox Sports Radio in noon to 3 Eastern, 9 a.m. to noon Pacific.

Now let's get this party started.
You're listening to Fox Sports Radio.
Eight years with the Packers in his nine total NFL years, a Super Bowl champion.
He's on Speak Today as well.
He's become a regular on this show as a Super Bowl champion, a former Packer.
Great James Jones is joining us.
Okay.
Robert Salah called out the O line.
Okay.
And at practice today, you know, you have these inter squad games, and they're pretty,
players will tell you they're intense.
Oh, yeah.
In fact, sometimes they're a little chippier.
No doubt.
in preseason games.
100%.
And the reports,
Jay Mack,
much to his chagrin,
is acknowledging they've gotten,
the O-line's been engulfed.
Robert Saul acknowledged it.
He's watching film.
You tell me,
here's my question.
You and Aaron,
and Favre than you,
you never had a terrible O-line in Green Bay.
This is new territory for Aaron.
Yeah,
we've never had a terrible
offensive line in Green Bay.
And to me,
this rings offensive courts.
All right. Nathaniel Hackett, you have to find ways to be able to help this offensive line.
You know where to start with that?
Bringing in a running back named Dalman Cook who could run the ball.
Because if we're able to run the ball, then now they've got to account for the run game,
which will help our offensive line out.
You know what else to help?
A running back.
That can catch the ball out of the backfield.
Now we're able to get the ball out of Aaron Rogers' hands fast in space to a running back.
That'll help the offensive line.
Another thing, chips.
Use your tight end.
Bring your tight ends in there before they go out for their pass routes.
We've seen plenty tight ends, plenty many tight ends, chip the defensive end,
give the quarterbacks of more time to get the ball out.
But I absolutely love it, right?
We play football.
We don't play tennis.
Call people out.
Robert Sala understands that every other spot on this team,
linebacker, safety, corner, receiver, quarterback, running back, we are stacked,
ready to go win a championship.
I told J-Mack, the running back room now, cook.
Brees Hall, Michael Carter is the deepest running back room in the league.
I think it's fantastic.
Easily.
So as a coach, when you're looking at all that and you're like the only thing that's slowing us down is the offensive line, yes, it's time to chew those boys out, especially if you go out to the practice field.
And like we're hearing today where the Tampa Bay Buccaneers is just at will getting after the quarterback.
That's a problem because you are the reason that's going to hold us back from winning the championship.
So Aaron could get prickly in Green Bay if young receivers weren't where they were supposed to be.
But I've never seen Aaron have to worry about the O line.
I mean, in all your years with him, did that tick him off?
Like Brady would get upset if you got to his feet.
But I don't remember Aaron ever.
I mean, sometimes, I mean, obviously if they miss a call or miss a protection and somebody's coming free,
obviously, you know, it's frustration, it's communication because we go through all that stuff for hours and hours and hours a day every single day.
of the week before the game for preparation.
So it's been things like that.
But one thing I do know about Aaron,
and we know Aaron does not take a lot of sacks
because the ball is coming out of Aaron Rogers' hands fast.
Aaron Rogers is getting you into the right play,
whatever that may be.
So it is extremely early.
I think this will be fine.
I think they will find a way to make sure
that Aaron Rogers is protected,
that they get in the ball to their playmakers down the football field.
But yes, as an offensive coordinator,
when you know that's one of the weak points of your football team,
you have to make sure, hey, we might have to keep an extra body in there to make sure we protect Aaron Rodgers.
We might have to go two tight ends to make sure we protect the air roders.
Don't mean we're not going to be that explosive, you know, but it means we got to keep him up right and we got to be able to run the ball.
But it's early, I think they'll be fine.
They'll get it figured out.
Okay, let's talk Green Bay.
Yeah.
You've been very honest.
That's why we bring you back on this show, is that here's what concerned me.
You got to get the easy ones right.
Okay, you can't, I'm not, nobody thinks a young quarterback Jordan Love's going to be Aaron or Mahomes.
That's not fair.
Trevor Lawrence.
But you got to get the layups.
Yeah.
He had Musgrave, clean pocket wide open.
Yeah.
This is a NFL layup.
Yeah.
James, that's bad.
Okay, that's four now.
That is, that's not even close.
Yeah.
That's a bad play.
I mean, we can't, we can't lie about that.
That is a bad play.
But other than that,
everything I've seen from Jordan Love is exactly what I wanted to see, right?
You come out there, you have a bad play like that.
First off, I absolutely love the goal shot that he took to Christian Watson.
Really good play by the safety, getting his hand on it, but that's inches away from being a touchdown.
But if you look at him, super comfortable in the pocket, he's looking the safety off,
then comes back over there to Christian Watson.
Safety does a really good job making a play.
But after that throw, he still came back and he made a couple really good throws,
obviously the touchdown to Romeo Dobbs.
But we just wanted to see the demand.
We wanted to see the cool and calm.
We wanted them to see him to come out there.
Like the game is not too big.
He looked okay to you.
He looked okay to me.
Okay.
All right.
Don't want to be negative.
That's not who I am.
He looked just fine.
Okay, so you can't fool pro athletes.
And I'm sure, I mean, you played in the NFL nine years.

A win is a win.
A win is a win.
I don't care what you're saying.
Yep, that's me, Clivert Taylor the 4th.
You might have seen the skits, the reactions,
my journey from basketball to college football,
or my career in sports media.
Well, somewhere along the way,
this platform became bigger than I ever imagined.
And now I'm bringing all of that excitement
to my brand new podcast, The Clifford Show.
This is a place for raw,
unfiltered conversations with some of your favorite athletes,
creators and voices that not only deserve to be heard, but celebrated.
One week I'll take you behind the scenes of the biggest moments in sports and entertainment,
and the next we'll talk about life, mental health, purpose, and even music.
The Clifford Show isn't just a podcast, it's a space for honest conversations,

Or when Kanye said that George Bush didn't like black people. I know what you're thinking.
What the hell does George Bush got to do with Little Kim? Well, you can find out on the Look
Back at it podcast. I'm Sam J. And I'm Alex English. Each episode, we pick a here,
unpack what went down, and try to make sense of how we survived it. Including a recent episode,
with Mark Lamont Hill waxing all about crack in the 80s.
To be clear, 84 is big to me, not just because of crack.
I'm down to talk about crack all day, but just so you all know.
I mean, at this point, Mark, this is the second episode where we've discussed crack.
So I'm starting to see that there's a through line.
We also have AIDS on the table right now.
Thank you finishing that sentence.
Yes.
I don't think there's a more important year for black people.
Really?
Yeah.
For me, it's one of the most important years for black people in American history.
Listen to look back at it on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
You probably knew, I'll just ask you, how many practices before you would know a player like, this is a miss?
He can't play.
I mean, seriously, a DB, a receiver, a quarterback, like you knew this ain't going to work.
One.
Now, now it's crazy.
One practice, yeah.
Especially if it's a DB, a quarterback.
or somebody that you're going up again,
especially if it's a quarterback or somebody that you're catching the ball from.
So give me somebody you knew instantly could play?
When I very first seen him?
First practice, you knew a dude could play.
Jordy Nelson.
First practice.
First practice, I knew Jordy Nelson was going to be a good player.
Okay.
Yeah.
We don't need to call up the guys that weren't.
No, no.
But it's Trey Lance now.
Yeah.
So I was told when he got there,
he wasn't quite as twitchy and athletic as they thought.
Yeah.
But he's a big strong kid,
coachable.
And then they knew he wasn't a beautiful thrower optically,
but they've been working on it,
and it's just not consistent enough.
He has good days and bad days.
And so my takeaway is the players in the room know it.
And the Niners are saying all the right stuff.
But I said this the other day.
I don't think he's a bust yet because he's big.
He moves.
There's a lot of stuff here I like.
I would roll the dice and bring him in if I'm a GM,
six-round pick.
but my takeaway is the Niners are trying to sell this.
Yeah.
Don't you think Niners players know the truth?
The Niners players definitely know the truth.
I had an opportunity this past week to, I was in Vegas for the joint practices.
Oh, you were?
Come on.
You didn't even tell me that.
I was out in Vegas for the joint practices.
And I'm a Trey Lance fan.
I was saying this is Trey Lance's team, even what Brock Purdy did.
He's a first round pick.
You gave up so much to get him.
Like, this is his team.
He got hurt.
let him go out here and show what he can do.
But from what I've seen at the practices,
Trey Lance has a long way to go.
Trey Lance has a long way to go.
Every pass that I've seen was coming out late.
You know, he's not seeing stuff extremely fast yet.
You know, Emmanuel Ocho said this, is that when the ball is snapped,
he's played so little football.
Yes.
Everything's, it's the, he doesn't anticipate problems.
No doubt.
And you can tell because it's not like he's coming from the edge.
SEC and it's not like he's playing receiver. It's not like he's playing DB where this is my zone.
I'm man to man. Like you have to know where everybody is at. Before the ball snap. Before the ball snap.
And not only that, you got to tell the old line where they're going. And then the ball has to come out on time. So you can just tell things are moving so fast for him. I mean, it was like four fumble snaps at practice under center for him.
It was a lot of balls that were coming out late. And as I was watching him, I'm like, this dude has a long way to go.
You know, and that's why you can truly see even Kyle Shanan coming out saying Brock Purdy is our guy, you know, even when he did have the elbow situation.
Like when he comes back and he is healthy, he's the guy because when you watch Trey Lance out there, you can still see that he's trying to find his way and the game is moving extremely fast for him.
That is one of the best bits of reporting we've ever had on the show.
There you go.
Way to go.
Appreciate you, man.
Bosses?
This guy knows what he's doing.
America's honesty broker here.
So, you know, we go into this season.
People tend to kind of forget coaches have egos too.
We all think the players have egos and the quarterbacks have ego.
Coaches have egos too.
100%.
And I look at the Denver situation.
And Sean Payton has a chance to be a Hall of Famer as a coach.
Doesn't help him if Denver's a mess.
No.
And he didn't make that Russell Wilson trade.
And when he kept that offense in for four,
series. James, this is not 1994. Nobody does that. Am I wrong to suggest it's not as plug and play as he thought and he's
concerned? No question. And that's why you leave him out there. Coach Mike used to tell us,
you guys are going to play as long as you guys have to play going into the preseason game,
which means if you go down here in the first drive, even if you don't score, the plays is clean.
you look in the right way, we get a field go or something out of it.
You go down here and, you know, it's Mr. Simons, bass, nap, drop balls,
you guys are going to stay in this game and play.
I don't care if you got pro bowls, all pros, MVP's, you're going to play.
So you can tell Sean Payton was like, no, no, we need work.
And this is not how it's supposed to look.
So you know what, offensive starters?
If you're going to look like that, you're going to stay out there for another series.
I like that, McCarthy.
You're going to play as long as you've got to play.
100%.
until you get it right.
I only want y'all to play a series, maybe two.
But if you go out there and it doesn't look the right way,
you guys are going to stay your butts out there.
Okay, finally.
So Jerry Jones said a week ago,
I'm not giving Zach Martin a new contract.
I mean, he was adamant.
The quotes were like, sit out camp.
And then a week later, he gets a new deal.
I'll throw my theory at you.
Jerry is very much about image.
He likes his former person.
players on CBS and ESPN and Fox.
I get it.
I like Jerry,
but there's a lot of business image here.
He likes it out there that he knows football.
Is that Dak had all those picks,
Trayvon Diggs getting in Dak's face,
calling him the B and the A word.
And it was ugly.
Yes, it was.
And Jerry looked at that and went,
let's get back on the optimistic cowboy train.
And I think that ugliness at practice,
my theorizes Jerry's like,
we got to clean this up.
Yeah.
This going sideways a little.
Yeah, the blessing about this whole thing is I'm glad Jerry, listen to his coaching staff,
listen to the guys that are in the building that really put this thing together,
put the game plans together, understand how valuable Zach Martin is to that team, right?
Because it starts with the run game.
We are going to run this ball and we have to protect Dak Prescott, right?
Dak Prescott already had a big time injury.
We have to protect him and we have to be able to run the ball.
This is one of the best guards in the National Football League.
He must be out there on your football team if you're trying to go where you're trying to go.
Right.
You know, so I truly credit Jerry Jones because I truly believe that since coach Mike McCarthy has got there,
Mike doesn't get a lot of credit.
It's been a lot of change over there, especially when you talk about roster-wise with him listening to Coach Mike McCarthy.
Because a lot of players that are there right now possibly wouldn't been over there if Jerry was stuck in his old ways.
So for me, this is huge.
This is him listening to his coaches, listening to his scout saying, listen,
Zach Martin has to get done.
He needs to be out here on this football field.
If he's not, we are not going to be the offense that we want to be
or the team we want to be on the offensive side of the ball, period.
What was your favorite part about McCarthy?
You know, he gets a lot of criticism.
He's not great with clock management.
But by the way, I saw Andy Reid in Philadelphia
have his moments with clock management.
It's not easy.
But what is the one thing that you will defend Mike McCarthy on forever?
The one thing I often defend Mike about is he's a player's coach.
He truly cares about the players, and he's truly going to make sure that he's doing anything he possibly can to make sure you can succeed.
And if that means him changing some practice schedule, if that means him changing the way he calls the plays,
if you go to Coach Mike and you really sit down there and you talk to him, Coach Mike, look, we need to try this.
We need to do this.
Coach Mike is going to do everything in his power to make sure that his players got what they got.
I like that.
Yeah.
So he's not rigid.
If you guys, was there ever a moment with Mike that you had, you really played well on a Sunday,
and he came in and just said, we're taking Tuesday off too?
Oh, absolutely.
Oh, absolutely.
Yeah, even sometimes Wednesday.
Get out of here.
I'll see you Thursday.
Wow.
Yeah, Coach Mike, he's a player's coach, but he didn't come in like that.
He came in and he was on that Bill Parcell's train.
He was on the bills part.
That's what it was double days and all that, too.
He was like, if we could be on the practice field for six hours,
we're going to be on for six hours and five minutes.
That's how Coach Mike was.
And over time, he changed.
He started to listen to his players.
He started becoming a players coach.
He started really like sitting down with us, you know, having meetings to where,
hey, bring the captains in, have meetings.
What's the locker room talk about, you know, what they need in the locker room, you know?
I know it's coach Mike don't do everything, right?
Give me some stuff that, you know, the locker room talking about we need to change.
Not saying he would change all of it, but he'll listen to some of it, you know,
to make sure that, hey, the players was taking care of.
We was going into the games fresh, ready to go.
By the way, when you play in the NFL, during a season,
was there ever a better moment than after a win, a coach saying,
see you Thursday?
Never, never.
Right when they come in, you see in the locker rooms,
right when they come in, everybody's yelling, see you wins.
So when the coach finally does that, man, I mean, shoot,
to get you some days off in the league when it's a grind,
you're going to take that anytime.
Now you've got 17 games.
All right, we've got to take a break. You were great.
James Jones is always strong, but really good stuff today.
I appreciate it, bud.
Appreciate it, brother.

How do you own the day in sports? You make
incredible plays. How do the rest of it?
Own the day? With Irish Spring.
Look for Irish Spring
at your local retailer
today. You ready, J. Mack?
Born ready.
J-Mac with the news.
No, no, no, no, no.
Turn on the news.
This is the herd line news.
Kind of like a low-profile story I love this week is actually in the NBA, James Hardin going off on Daryl, calling him a liar, right?
So things look to be getting worse for the Sixers after Ramona Shelburne, who you know well, ESPN, credible reporter, revealed Hardin will look to make things hard on the team coming into training camp.
Somebody said to me yesterday, this is only the beginning.
This is just the beginning of what James Hardin is going to do to make life very uncomfortable for the Philadelphia 76ers going into training camp.
And I think the expectation with Hardin is, you know, Ben Simmons, they went through this with Ben Simmons.
He didn't show up to camp.
He left money on the table.
That's not going to happen here with James Harden.
This is going to be very uncomfortable, but it's going, but it's, but it's, Ben's, Ben's, didn't say anything.
and Simmons stayed home, right?
Like if you heard anything, it was not loud.
This was, with a microphone, let me repeat myself.
And, you know, the phrase I kept hearing was, this is just the beginning.
Well, you know what?
You get into a relationship.
He's sometimes Daryl can just be a little star obsessed to me.
I'd blow up Sixers.
I'd have no problem moving off M.B.
I'd keep Maxie and Tobias Harris.
I'd move Tobias Harris if I had to.
I would keep Maxie and I could move anything else.
Did you ever get into a war of words with somebody?
And then you're like, wait, wait, let me step back from this for a moment.
And then you go and collect a lot of ammunition.
And any time that person's there, you just unload on them, all the stuff you got collected.
I've done this a couple times.
People who are total jerks.
One of them, my neighbor.
Your current neighbor?
Yeah.
Okay.
All right.
And he was kind of stunned that I had all this intel.
Because listen, don't wrong me.
And it feels like somebody has totally wronged James Hardin.
Oh, come on.
Hardened. It sounds like he made promises that he's not keeping.
That's from Hardin's perspective. This guy's a chronic holdout, quit, demand.
Like after about six times, that's almost like if you have a kid that's been kicked out of three schools,
it's not the school, it's the kid. And it's like James Hardin is a perpetual holdout guy.
He stopped working out in Houston, like got out of shape as a pro athlete.
I don't know. I don't buy it.
different. He wanted out. It was over.
He wants to stay in Philly, but he
wanted what was promised to him last year, which was a
long-term deal. Now the Sixers are like,
not happening. Sorry.
Listen, Maxie's my guy.
You can have everybody else.
Well, then don't tell him a year ago we're going to give you this money.
Take a little less.
By the way, things change.
Sports is fluid.
It's not dirty.
By the way, we thought you were going to be
better in May than you were. Sorry.
I had 40 plus twice against the Celtics
in one, two games.
What did your guy, Embedde do?
What'd you do in game six and seven?
You know, I was texting with someone who was friendly with Joel Embed.
And apparently Embed is, you know, telling a lot of people he's getting ready for New York.
He's sick of this show, this Mori-hardened nonsense.
Let me tell you something.
Joel Embed is, he's plotting an escape from Philadelphia.
It's not terrible.
It's happening.
Jalen Brunson and Joel Embedde, that is tasty.
And by the way, you could give me.
they just signed Josh Hart to a new deal.
Did they do that anticipating moving him?
It's possible.
It's an attractive contract.
But what do you,
so Darryl Morey's going to want to win the deal,
so what do you give up?
You can't give up Brunson.
I would give up everything.
I'd give up Mitchell, Robertson,
Barry.
All the picks, take all the picks you want.
Yeah.
How great for the NBA?
Because I'm just over Philadelphia.
How many years have you been telling me?
It's trust the process, and then we got this guy.
It's over.
Yeah.
We can bang on Boston.
for not winning a title, but Boston gets to Eastern Conference Finals regularly.
Remember, this Cavs, when they had LeBron the first time, they had a lot of time to make LeBron happy,
building a contender. They didn't do it.
Listen, if you're, I don't think that's crazy.
I think Dary realizes deep down, this may be the time to move off MB.
Value's never going to be higher than just winning an MVP.
And Hardin is, and you got Maxie, so if you threw in, you got to make the salaries work,
but R.J. Barrett, Josh Hart, eight picks, Mitchell Robinson to defend the rim.
Eight, eight's a little high.
Well, I'm just saying, but for the Knicks, just don't touch Brunson.
And then the question becomes, did the Knicks, remember, they could have gone after Donovan Mitchell
didn't want to give up all the picks?
It's because they know Joel Embed is waiting in the wings.
He's the guy that everybody thinks is next.
We thought it was Carl Lentadette Towns.
Doesn't appear to be him.
It appears to be Joel Embed.
All right, next story.
The AP preseason poll was really.
revealed earlier this week. OSU is third, according to friend of the show, Joel Clatt.
Ryan Day and the Buckeyes are under a lot of pressure heading into the season.
Yeah. And there's an immense amount of pressure on Ohio State this year, and namely Ryan Day.
And I get it. When you're at Ohio State, you've got to beat Michigan, you've got to win the
Big Ten, and you've got to go and compete for and potentially win national championships.
When you look at what Ohio State has done under Ryan Day, they have completely dominated everybody,
Michigan and in the playoff. So that has to start to change. Well, and also at Ohio State,
nobody cares about beating Purdue. John Cooper won 10 games a year and got run because he couldn't
win bowl games and he couldn't beat Michigan. Ryan Day. You've got to beat Michigan.
13 and 1, 7 and won the COVID year. 11 and 2, 11 and 2. And he's under pressure?
Hey, go look at Les Miles. Les Miles won a Natty. Les Miles won 10 games a year in the much
tougher conference. They ran him out. Including his time, I guess, when he went
3 in 0 in 2018 is interim or whatever.
45 and 6.
31 and 2 in the Big 10, and he's under pressure?
No, no, I'm...
Well, let me just say this.
They get in Ann Arbor rolled by Michigan.
Three straight losses to Michigan.
And literally Michigan has clearly taken it over.
And Michigan finishes second, loses to somebody in the SEC.
I'm not saying pressure.
But does Ryan Day look at the NFL?
that makes more sense because remember harball was under pressure when he was struggling against ohio state and look who's turned it around let's give time things a chance to bake okay let's give ryanne some time he's not getting fired but the the story by joel clad is pressure you lose to michigan three stray years yeah you're in pressure
Not ideal.
Not ideal.
Final story.
Are you ready for this?
All right.
Leonel Messi, we were texting about this yesterday.
Oh, God.
The guy is unbelievable.
So yesterday, look at this strike if you're watching on FS.
That's like 40 yards out.
Drills it.
Miami wins four to one convincingly.
Boy, I look like an idiot going against Messi.
I'll never do that again.
He has now nine goals in six MLS League's Cup games,
and he scored in six straight games.
Colin, they're going to be in the championship Saturday against
Nashville. Are they in the championship?
Of the League is Cup, yeah,
which is the top league in Mexico
and the MLS.
So they'll battle for the
title. And that
I don't know, you gotta figure
Messi's gonna win, right? He's not gonna lose this game.
Did he get, if you look at that kick again,
Ryan, let me ask you, did he
hit this square?
I mean, that wasn't even, I mean, watch.
I mean, he put it in the right
spot, but did he get that
totally square?
I don't know how the goal
I don't think he did
and still scored a goal
Yeah I mean they look totally dominant
And listen I'm watching on Apple
I hope you are you watching these games on Apple?
No I watched highlights
Okay
I was busy last night
Yeah making things happen
Getting busy downtown drinking
Crab claws and oysters last night
Oh thanks for the invite bud
I can watch you I watched spend an hour on YouTube
I was embedded 830 yes
You were embedded at 830
Let me tell you something
I was three crab claws in at 845
Living big last night
But sounds fun.
Jemak with the news.
Well, that's the news.
And thanks for stopping by.
The Heard Lye News.
How about James Jones?
The moment of the show today is when James Jones, he literally acknowledges
he was at a Niners Raiders practice, and Trey Lance really struggled.
And reportedly, Kyle and the fellas not overly happy.
Are you going to tell him what the Jimmy Garapolo stuff that he talked about?
I'm not going to get into, no.
He didn't put that out there, so I'm not going to put it out there.
But I told you, did I say this two days ago on the air?
You just got back from your four-week vacation.
Oh, my God.
I told you this.
The Raiders may have found their Brock Purdy, but a little bit more athletic.
The Purdue quarterback they drafted.
Aidan O'Connell or something.
Let me tell you something.
That dude can play.
That's not preseason stuff.
That kid can sling it.
And if Garapolo, who by the way had that surgery clean it up, has missed some practice,
I'm just telling you, the Raiders may have found their quarterback on the cheap.
I mean, we saw Brock Purdy come in.
This kid out of this, this Aidan O'Connell, and I'm watching that game against the Niners,
forget the score.
And I'm like, okay, that.
dude can play. Remember when they lost Stidham
to the Broncos? It was like, ooh,
look at that. I don't think this is a hot
take. No, no, no, no. Every year there's
somebody that comes out of the fourth, fifth, sixth round,
you're like, how did he drop?
Wasn't it Russell Wilson in the preseason after
they got Matt Flynn? Yeah. Yeah. No, that
that Raider backup, kid,
you may have just found her dude.
I'm not saying he's great, but that allows you
to keep everybody. That allows you to pay
Josh Jacobs and Devanti Annams
and Colton Miller, Hunter
Renfro, Max Crosby.
That's how you keep them.
When you find somebody in the fourth round,
you get him for free for four years.
That kid, I keep your eye on that.
We are done today.
See you tomorrow.
It's the hurt.

Imagine an Olympics where doping is not only legal but encouraged.
It's the enhanced games.
Some call it grotesque.
Others say it's unleashing human potential.
Either way, the podcast's superhuman documented it all, embedded in the games and with the athletes for a full year.
Within probably 10 days, I'd put on 10 pounds.
I was having trouble stopping the muscle growth.
