This is an I-Heart podcast.
Guaranteed Human.
Another podcast from some SNL, late-night comedy guy,
not quite.
Unhumor me with Robert Smygel and friends.
Me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman
help make you funnier.
This week, my guest, S&L's Mikey Day
and head writer Streeter Seidel
help an a cappella band with their between songs banter.
Where does your group perform?
We do some retirement homes.
Those people are starving for banter.
Listen to humor me with Robert Smigel
and friends on the IHeart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
A win is a win.
A win is a win.
I don't care what I'm saying.
Yep, that's me, Clifford Taylor the 4th.
You might have seen the skits, my basketball and college football journey, or my career
in sports media.
Well, now I'm bringing all of that excitement to my brand new podcast, The Clifford Show.
This is a place for raw, unfills of conversations with athletes, creators, and voices that not
only deserve to be heard, but celebrated.
So let's get to it.

On The Look Back at it podcast.
From 1979, that was a big moment for me.
84 is big to me.
I'm Sam J.
And I'm Alex English.
Each episode, we pick a year, unpack what went down, and try to make sense of how we survived it.
With our friends, fellow comedians, and favorite authors.
Like Mark Lamont Hill on the 80s.
84 was a wild.
It was a wild year.
I don't think there's a more important year for black people.
Listen to look back at it on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Thanks for listening to The Heard Podcast.

You're listening to Fox Sports Radio.
I'm not going to repeat what I just heard,
but I just heard the craziest thing I've ever heard.
Someday we're going to talk about that.
Absolutely.
Can we talk about it someday?
Absolutely.
Like eight minutes from now?
That is crazy.
Yeah.
It is crazy business, man, that we're in the NFL.
Okay, let's just start with it.
I had said, you were part of a win.
culture in Green Bay.
Yeah.
Winning teams find ways to win and losing Cleveland's and Detroit's, they find ways to lose.
And I thought that nine-play drive for the lines of the end, James Jones joining a Super Bowl champ,
nine years in the NFL.
I thought that nine played, I thought, okay, that's what the Patriots do.
That's what Kansas City does.
That was like a different Detroit team, right?
That was impressive.
And I truly believe me watching the game, I was sitting there waiting like, okay,
is going to be lines in a minute.
So like.
The mistake is coming.
And with what they did and the way they look, the confidence they played with, the way they
ran the football, you know, Jared Gough, being smart with the football, just taking what's
there, it's okay to punt.
This is a different Detroit team.
And the difference is they believe that they can win.
They believe they went into that game.
And I know two dudes was out, but they believe that they was going to win that game.
And I think even with those two dudes in the game, they was going to believe that they
was going to win the game.
The culture is just changing in Detroit.
Usually when they had to make a play, they do not make the plays.
Yesterday, when they had to make the plays, whether it was the pick six to get themselves back in the ballgame, they made the plays, and they came out on top.
Yeah.
It's interesting, as great as Mahomes is.
People forget this, that your last couple years, you led your team in receptions and touchdowns.
But, you know, everybody wants to develop young guys.
I watch Kansas City, and without Kelsey, my takeaway is they need a gray hair in that.
receiving corn.
Like, I don't think Mahomes trusted.
Yeah.
I like Skymore.
Yeah.
He's a baby.
Like, at the trade deadline, I threw this out.
I'd go get a Chris Godwin.
If Tampa goes sideways and says, we want a quarterback, I, if Cincinnati's got
Higgins, Jamar Chase, Boyd, bro, you got to get, you got to give me one dude.
Yeah.
Like, I, I'm not saying Kansas City's not good.
I think their defense surprised me how good it was.
But look at that receiving core.
James, it's kids.
And it's crazy because obviously with Travis Kelsey in there,
when you look at a lot of these young guys,
everybody was high on them.
Like a lot of people are high on Skymore.
Justin Ross, a lot of people like,
man, this kid should have been a first rounder
or whatever it may be.
You thought that they would go out there.
Tony is a first rounder.
You thought that they would go out there
and really make plays.
But I'm telling you,
it's so underrated of the chemistry
you have to have with your quarterback.
And you know how to play.
And you got to know how to play,
but you got to know where to be for the quarterback, right?
It was a couple passes to where, yeah,
it may be a receiver drop,
but it's behind them a little bit.
Ball should have been going in front, right?
But that is practice.
Tony ain't really been out there practice like that, you know?
And then now practice is okay, preseason is okay,
but now this thing is real, right?
So the chemistry and the off-scripted plays
because 70% of what Patrick Mahomes does
is off scripted plays.
He's not just dropping back and saying, this guy's open.
He's creating.
He's getting out.
So those off scripted plays is what him and Travis Kelsey do the best.
Travis Kelsey knows exactly where to be exactly what Patrick Mahomes is thinking.
Them young fellas had no clue.
And that's why every time he escaped the pocket, you didn't see one throw.
You've seen all runs, right?
Because they didn't know how to get open and they weren't winning.
And it's going to be tough because those guys are going to get challenged.
It's not going to be zone coverage on those young fellas.
It's going to be in your mouth press coverage.
Can you make a timing throw?
Can you win?
And with that trial is Kelsey, they did not win.
Yeah, it's, AFC is loaded, man.
There's a lot of dudes.
Packers Bears, I said, it's like a reality show.
It may not be, it won't win an Emmy, but it'll be interesting because I don't know what I'm getting from Jordan Lover, Justin Fields.
I think Justin's a greater talent.
But the Packers have the offensive coach, the O line, and the run game.
That is three boxes.
No doubt.
that young quarterbacks need.
You're watching, you're hearing things.
My guess is with Jordan Love, it's going to be a slow, they're going to say,
hey, don't lose it.
We're going to protect you.
Do you believe that's what it'll, are you think they're going to let it rip with him or just
slowly let this thing play out?
Well, I think they're going to have to see how this game is going to go.
Because, I mean, I think eventually going into the game, it's like you said, we got two
really good running backs.
We got a really good offensive line.
Let's not put it all on our quarterbacks, right on for the very first.
time he goes out here and expect him to throw for 3.50 and four touchdowns, right? Let's,
hey, let's stay ahead of the sticks, play action pass, right? Make the right. Make the right
reads. For me, with Jordan Love, like I say, my expectations is not Aaron Rogers, even if he turns
into that or greater. My expectations is, let's not turn this football over. Let's look the right
way, the exact same way that you looked into preseason. Let's take this field, be Jordan Love,
and go out there and make plays. I think this young fellow is going to have a really good year.
I see the game slowing down for him.
He's had a chance to sit behind Aaron Rodgers,
see the good, the bad, the ugly, all that for three years in the same system.
So you know Coach LaFleur knows exactly what to do to get him in the right situations.
I think he's going to have a good year.
I think he'll find a way to play well this weekend.
Well, when DAC came into this league, he had a good old line,
Zique, and an offensive coach.
Young offensive coach.
It matters.
Whatever you think of Dak, he was a fourth round pick.
For young quarterbacks, it matters.
All right, let's go, Aaron.
So, you know, I was talking to somebody yesterday who I really respect.
Chad Millman, he's a gambler guy.
He knows his stuff.
And he said, listen, Aaron understands when the spotlight's on.
And Aaron's not going to go into New York on Monday night and laying an egg.
He's going to be special.
In all year, years with Aaron, was there a different Aaron when it was Fox Sunday night?
I mean, did you feel like that week Aaron was really locked in?
Yeah, Aaron is one of those guys to where we all know how special he is.
And if you ain't had a chance to see how special he is live and up front, I'm going to show you.
And the reason why I say that is it could have been a big game and say a Troy Aikman was there,
or Dan Marino would show up at practice, or any of these legendary quarterbacks would show up at practice.
As a receiver, we knew Aaron is about to be on one.
These balls are going to be coming a whole lot hotter.
He is going to let them know that I am that dude.
So he's exactly right.
Aaron knows the pressure, the light that's on him.
He knows that Jets fans, he see how crazy Jets fans is going.
Aaron is here.
We're going to the Super Bowl.
He knows first impressions are everything.
And he is going to want to go out there and let these Jets fans know that it's all good.
I was sharing a story with one of my dudes yesterday.
And Aaron always wanted to play in London, right?
And the Packers never wanted to give up a home game because it's sold out in Lambeau for.
a hundred years. So, you know, they never, they did. So they never got a chance to play in London
until last year. And I was at the game. And when I walked up to him on the field, he said, I'm about
to throw six touchdowns. These London fans ain't had a chance to see me. It didn't happen like that,
but that is how Aaron is. Like, hey, they ain't got a chance to see me. I'm going to show him.
So he's absolutely right. These Jets fans are going to be in for a treat. Aaron knows what's at
that stake, he knows he has to go out there and play at a high level.
So, Brock Purdy, the Steelers and the Niners are very similar.
Respected coaches, loaded defenses.
I mean, like, Pro Bowl guy, Hall of Fame guys everywhere.
I both have a ton of offensive talent.
Brandon Ayuk, McCaffrey, Trent Williams, Debo Samuel, Harris, Picking, Deontay Johnson.
So it really comes down to, to me, this.
game comes down to a low-scoring game.
Kenny Pickett or Brock Purney.
Yeah. So is there one you like more than the other?
This may be the best game of the weekend, to be honest with you, because of the things you just
said, two really good defenses.
Some good cultures.
Playmakers on the outside, you know, can run the ball, you know, got really good backs.
And it is going to be close.
And I think it's going to come down to that quarterback, which quarterback is going to be
able to make that throw, you know.
And I want to say.
say Kenny Pickett, but I got to go Brock Purdy because Brock Purdy showed me that consistently he's
going to make the right play. It's not going to be a negative play, whether it be an interception,
whatnot consistently he's going to find a way to get the ball in his playmakers and make the right
play. So I give the upper hand to Brock Purdy doing that. And I think it's going to come down to
a one-score game. Whoever has the ball last, go down there, try to get you a field goal or a touchdown.
But I'm going to take Brock Purdy just because the last time he was on the football field,
he made all the right decisions.
All right.

Imagine an Olympics where doping is not only legal but encouraged.
It's the enhanced games.
Some call it grotesque.
Others say it's unleashing human potential.
Either way, the podcast's Superhuman documented it all,
embedded in the games and with the athletes for a full year.
Within probably 10 days, I'd put on 10 pounds.
I was having trouble stopping the muscle growth.
Listen to Superhuman on the IHard Radio app,

Do you remember when Diana Ross double-tap Little Kim's boobs at the VMAs?
Or when Kanye said that George Bush didn't like black people.
I know what you're thinking.
What the hell does George Bush got to do with Little Kim?
Well, you can find out on the Look Back at it podcast.
I'm Sam Jek.
And I'm Alex English.
Each episode, we pick you here, unpack what you?
went down and tried to make sense of how we survived it.
Including a recent episode with Mark Lamont Hill, waxing all about crack in the 80s.
To be clear, 84 was big to me, not just because of crack.
I'm down to talk about crack all day, but just so y'all know.
I mean, at this point, Mark, this is the second episode where we've discussed crack,
so I'm starting to see that there's a through line.
We also have AIDS on the table right now, so.
Thank you for finishing that sentence.
Yes.
I don't think there's a more important year for black people.
Really? Yeah. For me, it's one of the most important years for black people in American history.
Listen to look back at it on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Final question. And by the way, James Jones came here today. We had a guest, couldn't make it, a player.
Practice went long. So James flies out of bed, gets here, and we totally appreciate it. He'll be on Speak after us.
So go back, try to remember week one. We got giants, cowboys, bears.
Packers, Bills, Jets, 9-a- Were you nervous week one?
Yes.
I was really always nervous before every game before I took that first hit.
Really?
You know, and I even tell my kids because my kids play tackle football and they're like,
Daddy, I'm nervous.
I'm like, that's all good.
You know what I'm saying?
We ain't never scared, you know what I mean?
But nervous was always good because it means something to you.
You want to go out there.
You want to play at a high level, you know, as a receiver,
your game really never starts until you either get hit, had that first catch,
and go. So I always was a little nervous, but on top of that, it's the expectations of the season.
You know, I played in Green Bay. The expectations was always win the Super Bowl. So you want to come out
week one and you want to make a really good first impression, especially if you're like a
Dak Prescott, where you miss five games and led the league in the interception, especially if
you're Daniel Jones, you know, came into all that money. Can you be the guy to take the Giants over
the next hump? So it's a lot of guys that, Deshawn Watson, all that, like it's a lot of guys that really
have something to prove and week one really matters because you got to show the world,
man, that, hey, we're here and we for real and this thing going to be different.
Is Aaron ever look at you week one? Pat, you're right in the tunnel to say, I'm coming to you
early.
Oh, 24-7, yes.
Aaron was one of those guys.
When Aaron has trust in you, I mean, I remember being in the huddle with Aaron and he'll be
calling to play.
Jordy will be over there.
Greg Jennings will be over there.
It don't matter.
And he'll be like, JJ, go get the ball.
Forget the play.
Go get the ball, right?
And same thing.
I've been in the huddle with Jordan and Greg, and he's like,
Jordy, go get the ball.
You know, so Aaron going to put a little pressure on you,
but if he had confidence in you, he's going to come to you with the ball,
but you better believe it.
He pat you on the back.
It's go time now.
You know, I started to start doing that with you.
J. Mack, I want a really good hurdle on news.
James Jones.
We're going to go back to that story next time you're on.
Absolutely.
We got a good story.
We can't give it all.
We can't give the farm away.
We're not giving the store away today.
I will share with you 100% next time I'm on the show.
Can't believe it.
Absolutely.
The craziness of this league
Crazy crazy crazy makes no sense
Wait until I tell you this story
All right
James Jones
Awesome job
J-Mack with the news
Turn on the news
This is the heard of my news
Life's not always fair is the story's headlock
I was sitting right there
I was eating my lunch
But I was sitting right here
I heard the story
Okay
Well a lot of times you're just in your own world
I am I'm locked in
Entrepreneurial with your soccer league stuff
All right all right
All right let's go to the AMC East
It's going to be tough in the AFC East this year.
Patriots are probably going to be the worst team in the division,
which is something new for fans at Foxborough.
But Robert Kraft is embracing the teams under the radar status.
Hmm.
Interesting.
I sort of like that most people are picking us to come in fourth in the division.
And I think there's a great chemistry.
This is a young team, too.
This might be one of the youngest teams.
I think coach has done a good job overall.
I think having Bill O'Brien come here and work with Mack,
they seem to have great chemistry.
I'm actually excited about the team.
Oh, you own it.
I hope so.
Yeah. You know, crap, that's audio that we have from earlier.
I'm the nerd looking up practice reports.
You know who wasn't at practice today?
Ramandre Stevens starting running back of the Patriots has a stomach bug,
which apparently is tearing through the team.
Trent Brown had it. They're great tackle.
Stomach buck.
He's not at practice on Friday two days before.
It's not like they're going over anything, you know, for the big game again.
Well, they got Zeke.
He'll give you eight.
Oh, yeah, you got Zeke. Ellie.
Oh, that's eight, nine carries.
Oh, yeah. There you go.
That's running right into the teeth of that Eagles defense.
that was one of the best in the league last year?
Whatever.
Lost the offensive line issues.
They lost some good guys on that defense.
Lost some very good players.
C.J. Gardner Johnson.
So what number does Belichick need to save his job?
Eight wins?
They bring him back?
I wouldn't say save his job.
What do you mean?
You've been banging on they're going to get him out of here.
Banging on.
I've said I thought they were tone death last year as an organization.
And I think they need to embrace Mac Jones.
All I'm saying is if they're facing.
favorite in three games, I'm betting them all season. I bet on this week. They may lose,
but I get four, some places, four and a half. I'm taking the Patriotian. Well, not anymore. That number's
coming down. Probably because of the blazing five. The nations come into grips with my genius,
finally. We may be going to head-to-head in headlines coming up shortly. Okay, next story. Justin
Jefferson. Man, how good was he last season? What a start to his career. First three seasons,
he has 4825 yards, the most by any player in NFL.
history. Now Jefferson is looking to set the wide receiver market with a massive extension,
and he's living it up to Vikings ownership. Of course, I will want a contract to be done,
but at the end of the day, it's all up to them and what the ownership want to do with that.
I'm in a different situation. I mean, I've done something that no one has ever done in the
history of the game. So my situations are a little bit different than everyone else's.
Of course, I'm going into my fourth year, you know, trying to talk about contract two years earlier.
So there's so many different parts that go in towards it.
That's why I kind of leave it up to my agent and just, you know, keep my mindset on the field.
Jefferson and Chase, they're going to get paid big time.
Well, they should.
Quarterbacks, left tackles, star weapon, edge rusher, good corner, Pam.
Well, we saw what happened with Tyree Kill.
I never thought receivers would make this kind of money.
Eric Hill wanted big, big bucks.
The chief said, sorry, we can't do it, and he moved on.
And they won a Super Bowl.
DeVante Adams in Green Bay.
Big, big, big, big bucks.
He's now with their Raiders.
Cooper Cubs hurt.
A.J. Brown, Titans did not want to pay him.
He's now getting paid.
All this talk about Kirk Cousins moving on,
there's no way they let go Justin Jefferson.
Right?
You've got to pay him.
Yeah, I wouldn't let go.
He can make quarterbacks look good.
Every team has about three guys.
I'm paying.
Who are you paying on the Vikings?
Justin Jefferson.
They didn't want to pay Dalvin Cook.
I would say Justin Jefferson.
The defense doesn't have any superstars.
Don't they have an O-Lignment we all like?
Didn't they get a tackle that we like?
Yes, they do have someone.
Just a couple years ago.
No, you're right.
They have a good dude.
He was one of the better.
Christian.
Derrissau.
Yeah, I would pay him.
Yeah, they don't even have a third guy.
They're not going to pay cousins.
But Jefferson's going to set the market for Chase.
He's going to get his paid first.
Now, I didn't talk about this game.
We spent no time on it.
But Bucks Vikings, where are you on this one?
I would take the Vikings.
Well, met with silence.
I might be on the Bucks.
Okay.
Final story, to basketball.
Yes, we got to squeeze this in.
Early this morning, Team USA goes down in the semifinals to Mighty Germany,
113, 111.
You see some highlights here.
I can't believe we just showed in Austin Reeves.
This three by the German was huge in the final minute.
It's like our fourth string guys.
Anthony Edwards and a bunch of threes and fours.
So the Germans bullied them, 50 points in the paint,
a bunch of offensive rebounds, 25 second chance points.
USA hanging their head.
This is bad.
I mean, I don't know why Kerr thought that they could just trot out
like Josh Hart at Power Forward,
facing...
Come on.
The Germans have NBA dudes
on the front line.
Godner.
The big dude, Daniel Thies.
Like, when you're putting a seven-footer
against Josh Hart,
you're going to get offensive rebats.
Austin Reeves got bullied a couple games.
Well, yeah, he's a wing.
He can't guard a six-a-old.
Time out.
Austin Reeves is at best,
the third-best Laker.
He's on this world team.
Come on.
Well, Anthony Davis ain't playing.
You can't risk him being injured.
The best guys aren't playing.
There are no Jason Tatum here,
Anthony Davis, or Yokit, or our guys.
The Yonkits will play somewhere else.
But Tatum, you're right.
Tatum will be in the Olympics.
In France, Paris next summer.
Are you going, by the way?
To the Olympics?
Yeah.
Why?
To watch the USA basketball team, the A team they're going to have.
It's NBC's.
It's not even Foxes.
I know, but you like France, right?
Who says?
I went there and it was amazing.
Now my third, second favorite city in the world.
New York is number one.
New York's number one.
Paris second.
It was awesome.
L.A. is.
This is information I wasn't needing.
J-Mack with the news.
Well, that's the news.
And thanks for stopping by.

I mean, at this point, Mark, this is the second episode where we've discussed crack.
So I'm starting to see that there's a through line.
We also have AIDS on the table right now.
How do you own the day in sports?
Make incredible plays.
How do the rest of us with Irish Spring?
Look for Irish Spring at your local retailer today.
Jason McIntyre every Friday last segment, his picks, which were money last year.
Very excited spots, trends before the rest of America.
You ready to go?
Yeah, you know, I hear a lot of other people are now doing this headline segment because it's such a bank.
here on the show. Bangor. Okay, right. Tomorrow's headlines today. Let's go to Hot
Lanna, two youthful rosters. Falcons, Panthers. What's the headline? Boy, you know, we're
kind of irrationally in love with the Falcons this year. The schedule is easy and it starts with a
layup here. The headline will be to infinity and bison. Dirty birds get light ears better.
I have the Falcons. I think crushing Carolina here. Crazy stat I was able to dig up. So number one,
picks, quarterbacks who go number one, in their last 14 start, the first time they start,
one in 13 against the spread.
And now Bryce Young, he comes out, and what does he have, Colin, at wide receiver?
DJ Shark just ruled out here in the last hour.
I saw that.
Number one receiver.
Adam Thieland's questionable missing practice this week.
So it's going to be like the kid Mingo from Oregon State, maybe some Terrence Marshall.
They're not going to be able to move the football.
I think Atlanta, you've seen the total come down on this from like 44 in the summer.
It's like 39 and a half.
this feels like a kind of a blasting.
I'll go 2710 Falcons,
and we're talking about this team
is maybe dangerous on Monday.
Tomorrow's headlines today.
Maybe the best one o'clock game,
two loaded rosters,
headline Niners, Steelers in Pittsburgh.
Well, melancholy to talk about this game,
we've been hyping it up for like three months, right?
The headline will be.
Kenny Hanna, pick it,
cooks up an L for Niners.
I really like Mike Tomlin in these underdog spots.
As a home dog since 2018,
Mike Tomlin 7-1-1 against the spread.
You go further back.
This is exactly what he does.
He gets his guys hyped up, and they're able to overcome better teams.
Now, we don't know about Kittles status.
Bosa, it sounds like he's going to be on a pitch count there for the Niners coming off the edge.
I think there's a big edge at right side of the Niners, offensive line.
A lot of questions.
They look shaky in the preseason.
I think Pittsburgh could take advantage.
I think Kenny Pickett has a good game here.
And keep an eye on the backup to Najee Harris.
I've told all my buddies, if you drafted Najee Harris,
Get the backup, Warren.
This kid's dangerous.
He's got some juice.
Maybe not, who was a kid last night on Detroit?
Who was just, Gibbs.
I don't think he has that kind of juice, but he's good.
Pittsburgh wins.
Rams getting a flight.
Go to Seattle and the Northwest.
Tomorrow's headlines today.
Seahawks Rams, what say you?
Well, dangerous.
You know, I like divisional dogs in week one.
I mean, I don't know about it here.
The headline will be express.
Whoa.
Seattle roasts the Rams.
Colin, no Cooper Cup, obviously.
And, you know, I've been talking about this a lot, and people are like, hey, Rams didn't have Cup or Stafford last year.
And they kept both those games close with like Baker Mayfield and John Wolford.
This is going to be close.
I said, guys, look at the defensive side of the ball.
Insane stat.
The Rams lost their top six defenders via snap count.
They're out.
They're gone.
Off the team now.
Jalen Ramsey, who had two picks last year against Gino.
He's gone.
Bobby Wagner had a pick.
He's gone.
They've got a whole new defense.
I don't see how they stop Seattle.
And if you look at the team totals, you know, you can gamble on how many points.
the team's going to score. Seattle's second highest this week with 26 and a half.
So even the guys in the desert think that the Rams defense is going to get shredded here.
Maybe Stafford didn't comeback mode, but I like Seattle kind of with some margin here.
Tomorrow's headlines today. Belichick and that defense, Eagles Patriots, what's the headline?
Well, here's where we're going head to head. You love the Patriots here.
I like them. I like them enough to put them in the Blazing Five.
Unfortunately for you, the headline will be, do you?
really want to hurt me. Eagles, culture, clubs, pats. I told my guy, that was the top five
headline we've ever had here. I'm a big culture club guy back in the 80s. Come on. But I know people
are wrapped up in this whole Super Bowl loser. Jay Mack, Super Bowl loser, four and 18 against a spread
in week one. I'm like, throw that out the window. I don't care about that. Did you see today,
Ramandre Stevenson, mispractice with the stomach bug. It's going around the team. Trent
Brown had it. It sounds like their cornerback who blew up last year. Jack Jones,
It sounds like he's going to miss the game due to injury.
Not great when you've got to face Devante Smith and A.J. Brown running quarterbacks,
you can look this up, have given Belichick major fits.
Remember last year Monday night football?
That's why he liked Cam.
Cam gave him trouble.
Cam, indeed.
But Justin feels last year on Monday night football.
Lamar Jackson just shredded him.
Josh Allen has had his way with the Patriots.
Jalen Hertz has a big game.
Eagles dominate the trenches.
To me, this smells like a 3614 kind of route.
I like Eagles big.
Tomorrow's headlines today.
Ugly one, Texans, Ravens, baby.
Yeah, I might have to institute a no-digit spreads in headlines
because everybody's going to say, Jake, this is a layup.
The headline will be Lamar the Marrier.
Jackson invites everyone to end zone party.
I don't know what that image is.
That's funny.
The Ravens, this should be a bloodbath.
Baltimore's offense is going to have so much success.
I know D'Amico Rines, we like him.
It may be the fastest offense in the league.
They're going to put up so many points.
Dave Flowers, O'Dell Beckham.
They're as healthy as they have been.
Mark Andrews, we'll see if he goes.
He's been spotty this week.
But I just don't, we saw Robert Sala, first year in New York.
The defense struggled.
It takes a minute to institute and get all your right guys.
D'Amico Ryans is good, but that defense is a front, man.
They can't stop the run.
I don't see a lot of success.
I know he got a Texans fan in this year.
You got some blowout.
I feel like the Ravens, if anybody's going to score 40, I think it's going to be the Ravens.
Week one blowout.
tomorrow's final headline.
Oh, this is a pretty one.
Commanders and the Cardinals.
All right, go ahead.
Well, you know, listen, Arizona is a bit of a dumpster fire.
I think the season win total is three and a half.
And you don't like to load up and go big early on week one,
but the headline will be wham-bam.
Thank you, Sam.
Cardinals get walk of shame.
I actually think Washington's roster could, I agree here.
I think this could be your blowout of the weekend.
I saw one report.
Arizona might start a fourth-round rookie center
against this pain and this nasty front line that Washington has.
They're going to dominate the trenches.
This feels like the blowout of the weekend.
It does now, Jason.
Oh, Sam, what's he done to be favored by a touchdown?
It ain't about him.
This is going to be a grounded pound.
You know Rivera.
I know B enemy is calling the shots,
but Rivera is going to be like,
they can't move the ball on our defense.
It's Josh Dobbs and a rookie center against Washington.
You know we like the trenches.
And I just feel like Washington wins a line of scrimmage.
and that stadium's going to be juiced up.
Everybody's excited that Daniel Snyder's gone, new ownership.
A lot of the old players are coming back.
It's going to be a vibe in Washington.
I think they kind of sort of steamroll Arizona here.
I know people like Gannon long term,
but there's just not a lot of talent on that team.
I'm not believing Josh Dobbs.
Sorry, guys.
I will say about Arizona, though,
if you look at their draft picks,
they can turn this thing around fast.
They have so many picks.
Well, that's assuming guys want to play for them.
Well, you draft them.
They have to play for you.
Caleb Williams does not have to.
Well, he'll, you know.
Yeah, I mean, yeah.
But, you know, it's like Cleveland.
We don't like their ownership, but they did hit on some picks.
They got a great roster.
Oh, my gosh.
They couldn't get, you know, Baker sort of didn't work.
Baker got him to the second round of the playoffs.
No, that's fair.
Well, the offensive line and Chubb.
That's fair.
He had homes in trouble.
Remember that playoff game?
Yeah.
Is there any game this week you just totally don't get?
Like, I'm scared of.
Chicago Green Bay.
Yeah, that was, I was going to say.
say the exact same thing. Yeah, I just stayed away. I do think commanders roll in a blowout.
I think Seattle probably, but I, McVeigh, Stafford, week one. Seattle's young,
young teams can make mistakes. That one has ugly on it, but I just, I don't like to predict
blowouts in week one. Bad teams don't know they're bad yet. They play over their schemes.
Well, young quarterbacks have struggled in week one. So we'll see with your guy Bryce Young
and CJ Strzell. All right. Great week. Great show.
had a lot of fun. First things first is around the corner. Texas,
Bamma tomorrow, Nebraska, Colorado tomorrow on Fox, baby.
Another podcast from some SNL, late-night comedy guy, not quite.
Unhumor me with Robert Smygel and friends.
Me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman help make you funnier.
