Guaranteed Human.
Another podcast from some SNL, late-night comedy guy, not quite.
Unhumor me with Robert Smygel and friends.
Me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman
help make you funnier.
This week, my guest, SNL's Mikey Day and head writer Streeter Seidel,
help an a cappella band with their between songs banter.
Where does your group perform?
We do some retirement homes.
Those people are starving for banter.

Imagine an Olympics where doping is not only legal, but encouraged. It's the enhanced games.
Some call it grotesque. Others say it's unleashing human potential. Either way, the podcast's
superhuman documented it all, embedded in the games and with the athletes for a full year.
Within probably 10 days, I'd put on 10 pounds. I was having trouble stopping the muscle growth.

All right, James Jones, a Super Bowl champ, almost a decade in the NFL, most of it
eight years where the Packers is joining us, the former Super Bowl champ and Green Bay Packers
star receiver.
So I was talking during the break, and I want you to share this.
I said, I don't know if Jordan Love is good.
But the Packers, throughout their history, recent history, 25 years, they're just
Just home grin, LaFleur, Mike McDaniel,
offensive coaches, they never have battle lines.
The culture tends to be little conservative, no big free agents.
Offense will draft a defensive player first round, but we'll draft and develop offense.
So I don't think it's a coincidence.
They always have good quarterbacks.
The bears, it's the opposite.
Like they build, I can name linebackers.
So go back to when you played again.
You guys were stacked offensively.
what were the bears like? Did you ever fear their offense?
Never feared their offense. I mean, we never thought like, hey, this offense is going
outscore us. What we did fear, though, is their defense. I mean, you're talking about
Brian Erlacker, Lance Briggs, they brought over Julius Pepper. So, you know, you had Peanut Tillman
who was special at punching the ball out and creating turnovers, but they were built on the
defensive side of the ball. And as much as they want to say like they're built on the defensive
side of the ball, they're not. You know, you let them.
Khalil Mack out of there.
You lost a lot of key.
Roquan Smith.
You lost a lot of key defensive players, you know.
So now you're trying to turn over to be an offensive football team, and it's just not
happening.
It's not who they are.
No, it's not who they are.
Like, when you look, when we watched a game last night, I'm like, it's crazy how
that happens, too, just to certain organizations.
Like, the Pittsburgh Steelers, we're watching that game last night.
Like, they've always had really good defenses.
They always drafted really good defensive players.
The Steelers have, my entire life, since the 70s, have, they've, they've, they've,
win championships when they have great quarterbacks.
Their entire culture is based on draft developed defense.
Defense, yep.
Okay.
When they get the star quarterback, they win titles.
I think in the NFL, when you don't have an identity, so the bears, it's rooted in
defense.
Well, now they're defense things.
Exactly.
They don't, they don't do offense well.
Like when you were with the Packers, so I don't know what Jordan Love is.
What is your takeaway and what he is?
To be honest, what you, you know, I go back to when Aaron Rogers said, we
got another special one.
And I'm like, hey, you know, I see, I understand that's your homeboy.
You know, you've been in the meeting rooms with him.
I can understand, you know, you're saying that.
But when you watch Jordan Love play, the very first time we've seen Aaron Rogers,
and this was in practice because Brett Farr was there, it was just a flick of the wrist.
Whom, won't, won't, won't, flick at a wrist.
And Charles Woodson and Al Harris, they're like, he's special.
You know what I was talking about?
He just flickered her.
He's like, he's special.
When you watch Jordan Love, and he does not make every throw,
but when you watch Jordan Love, it is flicker the wrist.
It is poised.
He cool and calm.
It's never too big.
He moves.
This is his first time really starting, starting.
You know what I'm saying?
Even though he's been in the National Football League for three years.
But when I see Jordan Love, especially when I watched him yesterday in that second half,
I'm like, the Packers might be set for the next 20 years.
they might have hit the luck of the draw again
and are going to be set for the next 20 years
and the reason why I say that is because
he really should be 3 and 0
and the offense is playing Jane right now
like Coach LaFlorida, the way he's calling the game
Botiaris hurt, Watson's hurt, Watson's hurt
Aaron Jones is hurt Jenkins is hurt
and he went out there and 18 points in the fourth quarter
but you just don't see him
there hasn't been a throw to where we like
what you're looking at?
You understand?
That's a little bit C.J. Stroud.
Yes.
I don't know how good he is.
When I watch C.J. Stroud, I'm like, oh, that's an adult.
That's a professional quarterback.
No doubt.
Jordan Love looks like a professional quarterback.
I mean, it's so many quarterbacks you can go to.
I mean, Justin Fields, Dak, Prescott, whoever you want to go to, where you're like,
what are you looking at?
In three games since he's been a start, he has not had a throw to where we're like,
where are you going with the ball?
You know, for me, that's,
That's signs of a special quarterback.
That's signs of the game is completely slowed down for you.
That's signs that you're studying, that you're putting into work,
and you know exactly what you're doing.
And, you know, it's showing up on his play.
I think the Packers have hit the luck of the drawl again
is going to be lucked out for, you know, at least another 10.
I won't say 20, but at least another 10.
So Broncos get blown out.
Were you ever, it felt like a little bit of they quit.
Now, some of this is they've got a new D.C.
these aren't his players.
It's brand new.
So they may not have the right players.
Because I think they're offensive guys.
I think in the draft they have to go defense.
Mims, Sutton, Judy, you're good.
Williams are running back.
O-line's good enough.
Russell Wilson's your guy.
I think they have to, the trade deadline in the draft,
just go deep.
They get no consistent pass rush.
But it did feel a little bit like,
man, they quit.
Were you ever, was there ever a game,
a moment that you feel?
felt like the guys quit.
Nine years in the league.
Yeah. I mean, I've been in some games to where I felt like, you know, some guys may
quit. You know, I've been in some games in Green Bay to where, you know, we've been getting
our butt kicked and, you know, everybody looking on the sideline like, you know, I'm ready
to get to the showers, you know, I'm ready to get up out. You've been in that. Obviously,
nobody has come out and say, man, you know, but you've been in games like that to where
you like, nothing is going right. We can't, we cannot do nothing right.
Will a meeting be like today in Denver?
What would the meeting be like after those games?
Is it embarrassing or do coaches just say, guys, there's a couple things I liked here.
Because Russell Wilson's passer rating is better.
And they're averaging almost a touchdown more a game.
They are better offensive.
Yeah.
For me, I don't like just brushing these to the side when you get beat up like this.
I like swallowing these things.
I like, hey, let's watch it.
Let's break it down.
Let's see what we did wrong.
And let's correct this stuff.
You know, because a lot of coaches will come in there like 70 to 20.
We're not even watching this.
It's over.
You know, flush it down the toilet.
It's gone.
Get it out your memory like we're on to the next game.
For me, I feel like, man, hey, we got our butts kicked.
Let's figure out why we got our butts kick like that.
Number one, let's turn the tape on and let's see who was quitting.
Yeah.
Let's see who ain't showing effort.
There's some plays out there to where dudes is watching dudes just break tackles.
You know, like I don't want to get hurt.
We down, you know, 50 points.
I don't want to get hurt.
You know, I don't want to stick my nose in here.
You know, and so I want to see that on tape because as a coach and as a player, you know,
that that's the time to hold each other accountable.
So you know a lot of that stuff is going to show up.
So as a coach, I would come in there and Coach Mike has done this at times.
He's coming there and he's like, I want to show you these five plays in this game.
That's it.
We got beat 70 to 20, but I've chosen five plays that I want to show you in this game.
And it's five bad plays to where dudes ain't showing no effort, you know, body language.
and you're in that meeting and you just start going like this.
You know, looking at the dudes that's on the tape, you know.
But at the end of the day, that's how you hold each other accountable.
But they got to watch this.
And they got to be able to, you know, try to come back from this
and fix some things that was out there because 70, 20, that's a beat down.

Do you remember when Diana Ross double-tapped Little Kim's boobs at the VMAs?
Or when Kanye said that George Bush didn't like black people.
I know what you're thinking.
What the hell does George Bush got to do with Little Kim?
Well, you can find out on the Look Back at it podcast.
I'm Sam Jay.
And I'm Alex English.
Each episode, we pick a here, unpack what went down, and try to make sense of how we survived it.
Including a recent episode with Mark Lamont Hill, waxing all about crack in the 80s.
To be clear, 84 is big to me, not just because of crack.
I'm down to talk about crack on day, but just so y'all know.
I mean, at this point, this is the second episode where we've discussed crack.
So I'm starting to see that there's a through line.
We also have AIDS on the table right now.
Thank you for finishing that sentence.
I don't think there's a more important year for black people.
Really?
Yeah.
For me, it's one of the most important years for black people in American history.
Listen to look back at it on the IHeart Radio app,
Apple Podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts.
So it's interesting.
When I watch most offenses, they're singular motion.
They don't look that complicated, though I know the lexicon, the language is going to do.
I watch Miami.
And my takeaway is, that's got to be a smart team.
They are, first of all, I don't think they ever run the same play more than twice.
Out of about 12 different looks, the deception, the time.
I mean, my takeaway is, is the coaching?
Is he simplifying it?
That looks like a phone book of play.
Well, no, it definitely ain't simplified, you know,
and he has everything he wants.
I mean, that is Speed City over there.
Like, I mean, they have speed all over the field.
And when Tyreek Hill is out there,
you have to have all eyes on Tyreek Hill.
And then they didn't even have Jaylen Waddle yesterday.
So when he's back in the mix,
but they present so many difficult situations,
situations for defense is absolutely crazy. And it's really on what you touched on. It's a different
play every single play. They're motioning guys almost every single play. They're in bunch
formations almost every single play. It's one thing that defenses don't like to do. And that's
communicate and try to figure out where these dudes are going. It's like Miami's running twice as
many plays it looks. Twice as many looks. And yet I don't get penalties. Yeah. Like it's it's just,
I mean, it's, I think they're asking a lot of the players.
and the players are like?
But they're responding.
And one thing I do like about it,
because I remember, you know,
going up against some really good defenses.
And whenever you're in bunch formations,
whenever you're in stack formations,
it's a lot of communications that got going on.
Receiver could go that way, that way, that way.
It's a lot of stuff.
So now you're in bunch formations one play.
You're motioned in Tyree kill this way.
You're motioning a guy back that way.
Like, it's a lot of communications for defenses.
And that's why, like, this is the National Football League.
I've never seen people so wide open
are holes so big for these running backs to run through in the National Football League.
A perfect matchup.
So you have a new D.C., a new defense, week three.
This could have been just literally the worst team Denver could have played.
But see, I don't, I know it's a new defensive coordinator, but he couldn't change the whole defense.
I've switched offensive coordinators in the middle of the year.
He may call a couple plays different.
But this is the defense we've been running.
This is the offensive plays that we installed in training camp, you know, install.
one through nine we got all these plays in you may put a little tweak here and near but that's the
same defense this was just an absolute beat down yeah so you're the jets we've gone back and forth on
this the organization has had chaos it feels like forever coach and quarterback sometimes you just
have to take a loss and my take is i'm just playing zach about the fifth round next year i'll
draft a guy Aaron comes back we got a really bad break i'm not bringing in kirk cousins
I'm not bringing in Carson Wentz.
But Kishon came on earlier and said,
you want to waste another year with his defense.
It might take away.
Well, Soss Gardner still young.
Most of the defense is young.
Quinn and Williams now more of a veteran presence.
I think the organization has had so much chaos.
I'd stay with Zach.
I'd win six, seven games.
It means a better pick, by the way.
You don't have to give that pickup because Aaron didn't play.
So I retain that pick.
I'm going to get my left tackle for the future.
that's a huge issue.
So I think there's value.
Instead of winning nine games, win six and get one of the last tackles, what would you do?
You know, I've been on TV fighting for Zach, you know, because I've said the same thing.
Stick with Zach, let Zach go through his ups and downs, you know, let him grow.
You know, you're going to get Aaron Rogers back.
Hopefully, Zach can, you know, get you some wins and possibly have you, you know, last couple
games with an opportunity to get in the playoffs.
We don't know how this is going to fold.
But then again, as I was sitting there yesterday watching the game, I'm like, they can't do the rest of the team like this.
So you screwing the other guys.
Yes, that's basically what this is saying.
Because Zach Wilson is not playing well right now.
I don't think he's a franchise.
I don't think he's a franchise.
So eventually as a coach, it's like, do I keep on sending him out here, knowing that we're not going to have any production on the offensive side of the ball?
I mean, the past two weeks, we've seen him and Garrett Wilson kind of getting into it on the sideline.
We've seen a lot of frustration from those.
You're starting to sound like Jay.
Yeah, we've seen a lot of frustration from those Jets players.
So for me, it's like you've got to think about the other guys now.
You know, you got to think about the sauce gardeners.
You got to think about the C.J. Moses.
You got to think about the Quinn Williams.
Like, you got to think about those dudes.
Like, they're not sitting in their locker room like, yeah, just leave Zach out there unless they want to win.
You know, so for me, I'm not saying you go trade for Kurt Cousins.
but if you can go get a Carson Wins or go get a Matt Ryan
and knowing that they're not going to be on your football team next year,
you know,
to me that's something different.
Like if you go get a Kurt Cousins and a Kirk Cousins possibly balls out,
yes, Aaron Rogers is in your future,
but if Kurt is on the Jets, this is easily a playoff team.
You know, in my humble opinion,
this is easily a playoff team with Kurt Cousins under the center.
So, you know.
Okay, let's get the schedule out.
I mean, they have a tough schedule.
Here's the upside.
There's always a silver lining because Aaron got hurt.
You retain your first round pick.
There are two A plus left tackles.
Their big need is when Aaron comes back, you better get that left tackle salt.
You win 11 with Kirk Cousins.
You're not getting it.
You're not, but I just just the pride of the-
The Wayne Brown was on IR yesterday.
The pride of the locker room, though.
None of them dudes want to lose.
I was with the Oakland Raiders
and we started 0 and 10.
I thought we were going to win
every last one of them games.
And even we started
O and 10, I wanted to win the next seven
or the next six.
Like I'm like, this is like we cannot keep losing.
I understand that, you know, people on the outside
is like, hey, they get this dress.
We do not like losing.
And if you continue to put Zach Wilson out there,
he has not shown any strides
that he's going to help you win.
So for me,
I just, I look out for the other players and I look out for those dudes because them dudes is out there.
And basically you're telling me that, you know, we're trying to get six wins.
I can mess around and get hurt out here.
You know, and we acting like we really don't want to compete or win.
At least show me something to where that we're trying to compete and win.
I don't care if it's a Matt Ryan Carson wins, but we got to do something because it's not just Zach Wilson on the Jets.
How about that, Jay Mack?
Dwayne Brown yesterday didn't play.
He's on IR, yeah.
I are, yeah.
So can I ask you about that 2014?
team, I was just looking it up.
The coach got fired four games in.
What's the mindset in the locker room like as things are unraveling?
You're getting blown out in every game.
You're checking out, right?
Well, I mean, you're there.
You close to checking out.
But I mean, at the end of, I remember that, I mean, clear as day.
And that's why I'm saying what I'm saying, because we just wanted to get a W.
You know, like the main mindset is like we've seen the Detroit Lions go 0 and 16.
That can't be us.
Like, I don't care what coach gets fired.
I don't care what players get cut.
We have to find a way to win a game.
Okay, here's a jet schedule.
So let's put it.
So let's be fair.
New England's a terrible matchup because Belichick makes every young quarterback,
especially Badwin's struggle.
Okay.
You're going to get housed by Kansas City.
Can you beat Denver?
That's probably Zach's last stand with the biweeka coming up after.
Then it's Philadelphia by Giants Char.
but my listen there's there's six wins here
eight with kirk cousins
kirk cousins has to learn by the way how do we know that hack it
some genius
we don't but the by week is after that philly game so even if you're
you got two wins two and four you get the bye week
kirk gets some time and then take advantage of the second half
schedule with a good quarterback come on james talk him into it
yeah i'm with you're with taking care of the rest of the organization
i'm going to make it you're like i want to send the message to that
we're not just tanking
this football season, fellas.
Like, we have to send a message to it.
We have a big time defense, right?
I mean, they just held the Patriots to 15 points.
They held Josh Allen to, I mean,
four picks, four picks, you know,
four takeaways.
Like, we have a really good defense.
Let's not take this season.
Let's not take this season.
And then it's whispers about Aaron coming back.
That's the only reason why I say no Kirk Couss.
Now, if I don't know if that's true,
if I knew Aaron was coming back,
Then the Kirk Cousins.
I believe the goal is for Aaron, depending on how this surgery happens, depending on how this rehab, I will.
Text it.
Depending on how this rehab goes.
And that's why I say Carson Wentz or Matt Ryan, because if Kirk Cousins come over there, even though Aaron Rogers is clearly better than Kirk Cousins, you know, if he's playing at a high level and these dudes are rolling, you know what I'm saying?
Do you switch off Kurt to Aaron?
You know, even though I feel like he's a thousand times better,
it's easy to say thank you, Carson Wentz, for your service.
Thank you Matt Ryan for his service.
You know what I'm saying?
Aaron is back.
Right.
You know, so you just cannot take the season, man,
and just forget about the other, what is it, 53-man roster?
You can't forget about the other 52 dudes on the roster.
James is always great seeing you.
Appreciate you.
All right, I'm going to do, we'll come back with herdline news.

Why am I even on this crap?

No, no, no, no, no.
Turn on the news.
This is the herd line news.
Not great for the Chargers, Colin.
It's official Mike Williams torn ACL out for the rest of the season.
Austin Eccler is now very valuable.
Very, very valuable.
By the way, Williams had a great game yesterday.
Yeah, seven for a buck 21.
Had a touchdown, and now he's lost for the season.
Next man up is Quinton Johnson, the young kid out of TCU.
Yeah.
No, they've got Palmer.
Kenan, Austin Echler's value, you're running backs out there who don't think you're going to get paid.
Echler becomes hugely valuable now as a receiver and a back.
And on the defensive side, by the way, Derwin James got hurt, left.
I think it with a hammy.
And how about this?
Did you see that J.C. Jackson was a healthy scratch?
Well, you know, it was funny.
I talked to somebody in the league about this.
So to beat Minnesota, Justin Jefferson is great.
He's really great at home.
And so they didn't trust J.C. Jackson in coverage.
they did a pretty good job all day to keep Jefferson in front of them.
And I just think the one big play.
Yeah, they had one big play.
I think they basically had a game plan saying if we can keep Justin Jefferson in front of us,
we can win.
And they were mostly right.
They didn't trust J.C. Jackson.
They just didn't trust him.
And by the way, they still gave up big chunk plays.
But in the end, the coverage on Justin Jefferson, I think he had seven catches.
But he didn't dominate the game.
And I don't think I think it was.
a trust issue. Well, I'm with you on the Jackson. He's been a liability. There's also a report
out of Boston that he was supposed to be in court on Friday for criminal speeding. Apparently,
there's an arrest warrant out for J.C. Jackson. He is a, I don't know. A lot of problems.
Not, I've heard, not terribly coachable. Belichick didn't trust him. They had stuff behind the
scenes. They had to clean up. They kept it out of the papers. So I think, I don't think this staff
trust him. He's talented. They don't trust it. Not a good look for the GM. All right, Monday night
football two matchups. First up is Eagles in Tampa. The last time they faced in Tampa, you
remember, Todd Bowles' defense just totally bottled up hurts, but he wasn't the player he is now.
Eagles looking for three and o start and back-to-back seasons. Bucks looking to win their first three
games for the fifth time in franchise history. I'm on Tampa. I have some concerns about the
Eagles front getting to Baker Mayfield. You know, prime time, Baker.
feeling himself after two weeks.
Yeah, I mean, does the bubble burst for Tampa?
They've been a great story.
They're not a great team.
Philadelphia is really good.
They're kind of trying to find an identity.
I could see Philadelphia rolling tonight, and we all go, like Buffalo.
I overreacted to losing to the Jets.
And then yesterday, I'm like, okay, Buffalo is really good again.
Is tonight the night, week three, Philadelphia finds itself, and all of us go,
All right, Philadelphia is a top 14.
So the other thing is Philly played last Thursday.
Extra, extra time, right, to prepare a gameplay for a Bucks D.
Listen, I know they kind of bottled up Chicago, but Chicago is an abomination.
Kirk Cousins moved the ball well against these guys.
That was indoors, though.
I just need Tampa to cover.
I don't care.
Don't win the game.
Just cover the spread.
That's all that matters, right?
Good teams win, great teams cover.
Final story.
The other game, Joe Burrow and the calf injury.
The line, was it three this morning?
It goes down to one.
I'm like, oh, Burroughs probably out.
but now it's back up to three.
Nobody seems to know he's listed as questionable.
He went through a workout this morning.
There's optimism he's going to be good to go.
I mentioned this to the Bengals fan on staff.
Week one, Aaron Rogers, prime time goes down.
Week two, Nick Chubb, prime time goes down.
I'm hoping the best for Joe Burrow,
but I hope we do not have a repeat.
From what I've read, their concern is,
if we lose tonight, are we out of the playoffs?
But it's interesting.
So, New England, didn't they go get Will Greer last week?
They stole them from the Bengals, and the Bengals went and got like Kelly Stinnett.
So I think that was a strategic move by Belichick saying, we're not going to win our division.
We could be a wildcard team.
Let's weaken Cincinnati, make them bring in a backup.
That's so Belichick.
So I think they look at this and think, okay, now we brought a guy off the street.
If we don't play Burrow, we're out of the playoffs.
but this division's interesting.
So Cleveland can't get their offense right.
Defense is great.
Pittsburgh defense great.
Can't get offense right.
Ravens falling apart physically.
My takeaway is I would not play Burrow, and my takeaway is O and 3.
Can you put together nine wins in your neck?
You know, can you go nine and five and sneak in wild cards?
I think the wild card's in play.
Well, two teams are going, it looks like the Bills and the Dolphins.
Let's go through.
Those should be two playoffs teams.
Bills and Dolphins are in.
They look really strong.
Let's go just one from the south.
We don't know who it's going to be Tennessee, Jacksonville.
Also, hey, we didn't get the crap on Jacksonville today.
Kansas City is in.
Denver's a mess.
Raiders aren't talented.
And I don't trust Brandon Staley this point forward.
I don't think we can rule them out from a wow card.
By the way, Jimmy Garoppolo moments ago, he's in concussion protocol for the Raiders.
Bad news.
My point is.
I think you can get to the playoffs out of the AFC North with nine wins.
I really do.
There aren't three teams two and one, and then there's the Bengals that are O and two?
Like, I don't know.
It's a long season.
In that division?
By the way, nobody's moving the football in Cleveland.
Nobody.
That defense is, that's a playoff ready defense.
The real question is, you know, what do we do with the Jets?
They're not a playoff team.
Okay, well, you just said it.
Robert Sala, GM, Joe Douglas, go make them a playoff team.
You got one shot.
Congrats.
Are you done?
J. Mack with the news.
Well, that's the news.
And thanks for stopping back.
The Heard Lye News.
You know, I did think, I was watching the Oregon game.
And also, Dennis Allen said today, Derek Carr will be week to week due to a sprained AC joint.
So they'll win with him.
They won't win without him.
That's pretty simple.
That'll ultimately show Derek Carr's value.
They had a 17-0 lead and were dominating the Packers at Lambo got hurt.
Couldn't move the ball.
So I was watching the Oregon game.
and so much of that broadcast was about, you know, Dan, the coach, and the pregame speech.
Folks, if you took every pregame speech of all time and you played it for us, the consumer,
there'd be a lot of hurt feelings.
That game, there was no shot for Colorado.
Is Oregon's one of those programs?
You know, we look at these great programs in America, Ohio State, Michigan, Georgia, LSU,
Oklahoma. We look at these big brands. I think Oregon, I don't have the numbers in front of me,
has won a lot more football games over the last 15 years than Texas. I think Oregon's probably
the most undervalued program in the country, which is surprising because they've been so good
at marketing and promotion. But unless you live out West, you don't realize USC, when they have
the right coach, wins recruiting, except against Oregon. Like, Oregon has become Denver West,
the number one recruiting program in the country. When I watch that game, I take a
takeaway as Oregon's got NFL guys both sides of the ball.
They have been building that program in Ottson at Oregon for eight years of
Crystal Ball is a great recruiter.
He handed the new guy from Georgia great players.
He's a great recruiter.
Oregon's just got, and now that Bo Nix, the times Oregon has an NFL quarterback,
they're a double-digit win team.
This was not a winnable game for Colorado.
They aren't close to Oregon.
got massive pressure.
Why?
Because they got NFL dudes up front.
If you live out West and follow recruiting,
you know that Oregon is really the only school,
Denver West,
that can go toe-to-to-to-to-weights
or with USC and beat them.
That's it.
Washington's not beating them much toe-to-to-o.
UCLA's not beating them toe-to-to.
Utah's not beaten them.
The only school Denver West that can go up against USC's marketing promotion
and, you know, history is Oregon.
they have beaten USC on a half a dozen players in the last six months,
like high-end four-and-five star guys.
So I just don't think we pay attention to Oregon unless you're from the West.
Oregon recruits at a Michigan level.
It's just Michigan's got the Natty's and the big brand and Harbaugh.
Oregon's a loaded program.
I mean, they are a recruiting, marketing, promotion juggernaut.
I just don't think most people follow recruiting,
but they're the only place out west that goes toe to toe with USC and wins
recruiting battles in a rainy state.
We have to ask kids that play in sunshine to go play in wet weather and they go.
Their facilities are, they kept showing pictures.
Oregon's facilities are, they were way ahead of the country on facilities.
They have better facilities now than USC does.
That's why USC's groundbreaking for a $300 million deal.
And there we go.
All right.
So I wasn't rooting against prime time, but I didn't think they had a shot.
Without Travis Hunter, I didn't know.
I mean, plus Oregon went in with a hyper-aggressive game plan.
They were faking punts deep in their territory.
It's like, oh, so Oregon not only got better players, they came in.
They wanted to show off.
They're like, all right, Colorado, you're bringing this audience.
We're going to show off to the recruits.
By the way, Oregon, I think, signed a five-star recruit during the game.
Like right after it ended, Oregon's like, yeah, we got another five-star guy.
Everybody thought this was about Colorado.
It was Oregon that showed up.
I mean, if you're a recruit watching that game, you're like, get me to Oregon.
So what's going to happen this week with USC Colorado?
I think it's a much closer game, but I think USC.
I don't think Colorado can stop USC.
You think it would be closer?
Well, I think when you're humiliated, I think Colorado will play their butt off,
but USC played poorly too.
I think they win 3824.
Another podcast from some SNL late-night comedy guy, not quite.

Imagine an Olympics where doping is not only legal, but encouraged.
It's the enhanced games.
Some call it grotesque.
Others say it's unleashing human potential.
Either way, the podcast Superhuman documented it all,
