help an a cappella band with their between songs banter.
Where does your group perform?
We do some retirement homes.
Those people are starving for banter.

Either way, the podcast's Superhuman documented it all, embedded in the games and with the athletes
for a full year.
Within probably 10 days, I'd put on 10 pounds.
I was having trouble stopping the muscle growth.

Welcome back. It's another week, another episode of the Richard Charming podcast with my guy
Mitch Eisenstein. Mitchell, parody.
Parity, parody, parody, Rich.
We talk about it every week.
We talk about Gimmie games.
We saw the Carolina Panthers knock off your Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
And then, hey, surefire win for the Patriots last night, eight and a half point favorites at
home. Layup game. Nope. Not so fast, Rich. The Chicago Bears look like, hey, they look like a
decent team for once. Why? Well, because Mitchell, their offensive coordinator,
Eberfluse, can take advice. I can respect that. He's a man that can take advice.
You have a quarterback that's a great dynamic runner. Run him. And he ran him. He ran him to the tune
of 10 carries for 82 yards.
He also threw a touchdown.
He threw for 172, but they used them by any means necessary.
You win in this National Football League and their defense deserves a ton of credit
because they held the Patriots offense to under 100 yards in the second half.
I don't even know if they have 50 yards in the second half.
And they looked like a totally different team.
I know you had a couple comments off there.
Talk about the parody in the NFL because we're seeing it now more than ever.
What is truly going on?
And everyone thought the Patriots were a team on the rise, not looking like it anymore.
It's just that, man.
Any given Sunday, anything can happen.
You got great players, you got great coaches.
People are shining.
Young guys are coming out of college prepared to play Sauce Gardner.
The two tackles from Seattle, they came ready to play.
Your boy, your boy, Kenneth Walker, Jr., the third, my bad, came ready to play.
Like, there's so many examples you can point to in this league of guys just coming out of college ready to play.
so teams drafting early are really getting the impact players
that they're expecting to get when they draft them.
And they're not having to develop them over a number of years.
They're getting them.
And then you're seeing the fruits of your labor.
Teams that have drafted high over the years like the Jets and the Giants.
Look at Sequan Barkley.
Look at Daniel Jones.
They're out there running again, playing to their strengths.
Brian Daibault is playing to his guy's strengths.
You see every week, you got Daniel Jones with 100 yards rushing.
Sequin with 100 yards rushing.
It doesn't matter how you get it done.
As long as you get it done.
You got Kvon Tibado, who had a huge game last week on Lamar Jackson,
a huge game ceiling forced fumble, and you just see guys playing like they're supposed to play.
And it's really cool.
Before we close the chapter on week seven, I always like to bring up some ridiculous statistics.
And I got a ridiculous stat for you.
And it pertains to your Seattle Seahawks.
I know we got a lot of big Seahawk fans on this podcast,
and they're going to like this one.
Over the last two weeks,
a certain individual has led the league in rushing yards.
His name is Kenneth Walker, the third,
also known by K-9 with 262 yards.
The second leading rudderger is Travis E.TN
from the Jacksonville Jaguars with 200 yards.
What makes the stat ridiculous, Rich,
is K-9, our boy, Kenneth Walker, the 3,
has 200 yards of those after initial contact.
I mean, I said it last podcast, Rich.
They got the thunder and the lightning.
They got the new Marshawn and Kenneth Walker,
maybe with a little bit more speed too.
This kid is going to make headlines
throughout the rest of the season,
and I'm calling it now.
He's going to lead this team.
I don't know where they're going to land in the playoffs,
but he's going to give them a chance, baby.
We'll see what happens, Rich.
I mean, Michigan State, their head coach may all him a couple dollars
for that contract.
He's been 10 and 16 without Kenneth Walker, Jr.
So I don't know if there's something to be said there,
but Kenneth Walker Jr., with and without is a huge difference
for the Michigan State Sparks.
You got to do that to me, Rich.
Come on now.
Oh, Mitchell. Mitchell, I've just the truth.
You know what I mean?
We're a truth-telling network over here at the Richie's German podcast.
Yeah, fair enough.
Well, let's turn the chapter on week seven
and let's look ahead to your Thursday night football, a little preview here, Rich.
I know you're going to be in Tampa, your old stopping grounds.
The Ravens are coming in town.
Your thoughts on this game.
Is it bounce back opportunity for the bucks, or what are we looking at?
It better be.
It better be.
They better bounce back.
they better bounce back like never before, Mitchell,
because if they score three points again,
if they score under 10 again,
I can't imagine what Tom Brady's going to do.
And this Baltimore defense has been playing better as of late, you know,
and in the red zone.
For some reason, on offense,
the Buccaneers are ranked 32nd in red zone conversion percentage.
Scoring touchdowns in the red zone is not what they do well right now.
And on defense, they give up touchdowns in the red zone.
They're 31st.
And so this could be medicine.
for the Baltimore Ravens, and they're excited.
You know, they've had some really, really tough games down the stretch.
If they go out there and play well against this Tampa Bay team,
who has a lot of playmakers, a lot of talent, a lot of things,
a lot of expectations, they will feel good.
But it could be medicine for the bucks if they play well.
But there is a lot, a lot riding on this for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers,
because if they lose this game, I think there's a lot of things that are,
there are going to be changes made, there's going to be panic,
there's going to be alarm sounding.
Well, Richard, who, speaking of alarms sounding, who are you going to take in this game?
If you were a betting, man, where would your money lie?
It'd have to be with the Baltimore Ravens.
You know, if I'm a betting, man, I've got to go with the Baltimore Ravens.
They've scored points and they've stopped people.
The defensive has played pretty good for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but they just have not got anything offensively.
They don't look confident.
Offensive lie has a lot of issues.
And if Baltimore has been stout against the run, again, they've thrown.
the ball 42 times a game in Tampa Bay.
And they're 30 second in rushing attempts, 30 second in rushing, 30 second in a lot of
rushing categories where you need to be able to run the ball.
You need to have some semblance of balance.
And I just don't see that unless they change that quickly.
This is a short week.
If it was a longer week, I think they'd make bigger adjustments.
But on a short week, I just can't see them coming out and making huge adjustments.
Tom is going to have to have a heck of a game slinging the ball around the yard.
and I'm not sure Julio's more healthy or Galwin's more healthy,
so they're going to have to do it with the guys they've been doing it with.
I don't know.
This also presents a unique opportunity for teams.
I know NFL trade deadline doesn't necessarily catch the headlines,
like NBA trade deadline might,
but there are a couple teams with specific needs.
Who do you think should be on the horn?
I know there's some sellers right now in this league,
and predominantly the Carolina Panthers.
Which team do you think needs to make an upgrade the most
and what position you think that is?
There are a lot of teams.
There are a lot of teams that need to make upgrades,
but I'm not sure they have the capital to do it.
Offensive line help.
Tampa Bay needs offensive line help.
The Rams need offensive line help.
You got to make those trades.
You got to try to make something happening.
I'm not sure they're going to be able to do that.
If you're the New York Jets,
you're going to need some offensive line help.
You've lost, you have four tackles,
four offensive tackles on IR right now for the season.
You know, not just, hey, they're coming back at some point.
Like, for the season.
They may get one back, but for the most part, their guys are gone.
Green Bay, Green Bay needs a receiver.
They need the number one receiver, and they need to be willing to give up some money,
give up some draft capital to get it in order to give Aaron Rogers a chance,
because if you do not, you're not giving them a chance.
So they also could do with a pass rusher.
You know, pass rushers are always going to be come for a premium.
So Brian Burns is getting a lot of action and a lot of attention from a lot of teams,
but I don't think Carolina will give them up.
Richard, this week is going to be an interesting one.
We've seen it.
We're deep enough into the season now,
where we're seeing who the cream of the crop really is.
And that leads us to the next question, Rich.
Always ask every week your top five in the league,
the Richard Sherman Power ranks for week seven.
Mitchell, Metro, Metro, Metro, Metro, Metro.
It's stressful.
It's stressful.
But I'm not going to be a lot different than I was last week.
You got the Eagles in first.
You got Buffalo second.
you got the chiefs third.
They haven't done anything to change that.
You got the Giants fourth and you got Minnesota 5th.
I'm not changing it until somebody makes me change.
Minnesota had a buy.
There's no reason to drop them out yet.
If they lose, then who knows, you know,
the fighting solids might make their way in.
But right now, that's how it shakes out.
I'm sure there's some fans in New York that are happy to hear that,
but you probably piss some other ones off.
The Jets are going to squeak in there one of these days, Rich,
so we can keep them at bay for now.
They beat the Patriots.
it's something to be said about them being in that top five.
And I don't care who don't like it.
This is my rankings.
Halloween is on the horizon here.
What are you going as for Halloween?
Metro, I'm going as myself.
You know, I'm going as myself.
I'm not getting the candy this year.
The kids are getting the candy.
I've just got to watch the kids enjoy it.
But that's it.
That's it.
You go as yourself.
You know, it's a boring year for me.
Well, fair enough, Rich.
We're going to see a lot of costumes this weekend.
I'm sure on Thursday night football as well.
Rich, we got a heck of a guest coming up.
I'll let you introduce him and then sign us off.
Well, we got my old teammate, perennial all-pro, all-decade player, Bobby Wagner.
I can't wait to have him on again.
You know, you got to keep updated with the Joneses these days.
And, you know, he's out there playing well for the Rams.
You're going to ask him about the family, the friends.
He spent his bye week.
But we appreciate you joining us too, Mitchell.
Appreciate you taking the time.
Richard, I'm here.
I'm here for a good time.
I'm here for a long time.
whatever you need from you always.
I like the hat too.
A wolf.
A wolf.
Part of the pack.
Yes, sir.
Come on there.
Come on now.
The strength of the wolf is the pack.
The strength of the pack is the, well, you know, the whole ordeal.
Absolutely do.
This signs us off for week seven.
We're going to welcome Bobby Wagner next.

Do you remember when Diana Ross double-tap Little Kim's boobs at the VMAs?
Or when Kanye said that George Bush didn't like black people.
I know what you're thinking.
What the hell does George Bush got to do a little kill?
Well, you can find out on the Look Back at it podcast.
I'm Sam J.
And I'm Alex English.
Each episode, we pick it here, unpack what went down, and try to make sense of how we survived it.
Including a recent episode with Mark Lamont Hill waxing all about crack in the 80s.
To be clear, 84 is big to me, not just because of crack.
I'm down to talk about crack on day, but just so y'all know.
I mean, at this point, Mark, this is the second episode where we've discussed crack.
so I'm starting to see that there's a through line.
We also have AIDS on the table right now.
Thank you for finishing that sentence.
I don't think there's a more important year for black people.
Really?
Yeah.
For me, it's one of the most important years for black people in American history.

Welcome back to the Richard Sherman podcast.
I got one of my favorite guys ever on here.
Bobby Wagner, an all-decade guy, a guy who,
who will likely get a jacket that he doesn't have to buy.
So tell me, what advice would you give yourself if you had to, you know,
go back and talk to the high school, Bobby Wagner, and tell him it's going to be I.
I would say, don't put too much stock in the, I would say, don't put too much stock in the stars.
I wouldn't even say put too much stock in the school as you go to because I think as long as you play well.
And even as I learn, as long as you play well and play well against the big schools,
it doesn't matter if you go to a small school.
So I think there were so many things that we was focused on, like the, I think it was like a B2G cam, Nike cam, all these different camps that you had to go to to to get these stars and things of that nature.
And to be honest, I think a lot of the people that have excelled in the league have similar stories.
They don't have any stars and, you know, they put too much stock in it.
The stars don't matter because obviously you have become a star.
Some would call you, most would call you, all would call you a superstar.
like that's the that's the crazy part about the whole deal i mean you went from no stars to
superstar and would you have changed anything no i don't think i would have changed anything i
feel like i wouldn't have been what i've been i wouldn't have like accomplished when i accomplished
i would have met the people that i met i would say you you and bruce are the two people for sure
that i knew that i was going to cross path with at some point because had i not gone to had i not
gone to Utah State, there was a chance that I would have went to Mount Seth with Bruce.
Wow.
And then had I gone to class one day when Stanford came to class, there's a chance that I could have probably pushed a little harder to get to Stanford.
But don't, don't, don't make, don't make Stanford feel like they had a chance because they're going to be sitting there jumping down my throat later.
Oh, all the teams had a chance.
Just Stanford came in and was like, yeah, you know, we want you.
just change every single class that you have right now and turn it to an AP class.
What?
Is that too much that?
I was like, how could I do that?
That's not even possible.
It's possible.
Like, you can do it.
Let's go back in time real quick.
I got to do something real quick.
I go to your counselor, myself.
Okay.
All right, yeah, you know what I mean?
Don't worry.
I handled the logistics.
You don't worry about that, time machine and all that.
So it was your buy week this week.
Did you get better?
What did you do?
You gave up Roxy.
So now, people don't know what that mean, but I may never forget you.
I mean, I actually saw Roxy.
So, you know what I'm saying?
She's doing good.
She's happy, chilling.
Nah, I just came back to Seattle, chill.
You know, I didn't do too much.
I like to lay low during the break.
But obviously, I'm watching football like everybody else.
So I'm watching the games and I'm looking at the teams.
And there's a lot of teams right now that are sitting in like 3-3.
and, you know, it's the good ones, I think you're going to start to separate themselves.
And the ones that are already good is going to either prove that they're for real or show that they're not.
Well, tell me some of the thoughts on some of those games, because, like, I've been telling people all year,
it's parody in NFL right now.
It's crazy.
Everybody went into the game last night thinking, Chicago ain't got a chance.
Like, what are we talking about?
Like, Justin Fields, the old line is bad, and the Patriots are rolling.
It's Bill Belichick, you know, Mac Jones is back.
It should be easy.
And they get blown out by 20.
Yeah.
Like, tell me what you're thinking about the NFL right now.
Because, I mean, you've got the Giants, new head coach, 6-1.
You got Kevin O'Connell, the Minnesota Vikings, who nobody gave a chance, 5-1.
You even got the Jets, 5-2, and then the NFC West, which was going to be one of the best divisions in football.
You got the 49ers sitting at 3-4-4-4.
You're all 3-3 and 3.
The Seahawks 4-3.
Like, it's different.
Yeah, I think it's good for the league right now because it doesn't matter.
you have to watch the game because you don't know, like, no matter what the record is,
no matter what the situation is, like, you literally have no idea what's going to happen on
Sunday.
And, you know, I think the biggest thing that stands out to me right now is the protection
of the quarterback.
Like, all the rough in the past or penalties are crazy because, like you even said, you know,
you saw all the light tackles that happened last week, but then I also.
saw Justin Fields get obliterated.
My goodness.
Like multiple shots to the head and they just looked on and it was nothing.
So I think as we move forward and games get closer and, you know, those, those plays start
to affect games.
It's going to be interested to see how they call it.
What's your fix?
What do you do to make it better?
I think I would, everybody, I think somebody, maybe you said, I can't remember, but somebody said,
be able to review it and challenge it.
And so I think that's the, to be honest,
I think that's the best thing,
is to be able to challenge that and review it,
make that a reviewable play.
So just if something like that happens,
you know,
because I think the one in KC, like, you know,
what are he supposed to do?
He literally got the ball,
stripped sack, has the ball,
like has his hand on the ground,
but still, you know, lands on the quarterback
and they feel some type of way called a flag.
Like, I think that should be challenged.
That should be able to be challenged.
But, you know, it's going to get spooky when they do that, too.
Because every time somebody hand grazes the quarterback's helmet, they're going to be like, challenge.
Like, that was, you know, it gets nasty.
It'll get work before it gets better because if you challenge everything, you know, you can just see, like, it's almost like,
quarterbacks are taught now.
Like, as soon as they get touched, they can get up and they signal to the rep.
Like, yo, he hit my head.
And, you know, again, you know, the refs kind of ruled by law.
You know what I'm saying?
Like, oh, man, if it's an hit to the head, you got to call it.
So even if he slapped his head accidentally, they'll call it.
So, I mean, that's the best step.
Or just stop protecting them like you protect them, like,
or protect everybody else the same.
Like, if you don't play too in touch.
Right, it's different.
Because you look at, you look back and you see, you know,
a quarterback throwing a block for a running back of south,
and they over there decleting people, you know,
throwing a crackback block.
And everybody's like, look at that great hit.
And then you see them get cracked back.
And people were like, protect him.
It's like, you can't have it both ways.
But you see, Gino, like, was people sleeping on Gino?
Like, what?
I think people didn't realize, you know,
Gino's like a quiet assassin, man.
Right.
He was coming to work every single day and just getting better.
Like, asking questions,
stone and rock, practicing his craft, practicing his craft.
And then, you know,
Russ got hurt last year, he comes in and he excels.
And this whole offseason, I think he did the exact same thing, worked hard,
worked hard, worked hard while everybody was like, yo, like they need to bring in a quarterback
and all these different things.
Nobody had faith in them.
You know, Gino just quietly worked.
And I think that work that he put in in the offseason is showing on the field.
I don't think anybody expected him to play well.
Even if they expected him to play good,
I don't think they expecting him to play this well.
And, you know, I think it's ignited that team,
ignited the people in that locker room,
and they're doing good, man.
Yeah, they're doing real good.
I mean, they're young.
They're young as ever.
You know, they got rookie,
two rookie tackles, rookie corners out there playing.
They're young everywhere.
But, you know, they're rookie running back.
They're doing their thing, though.
I think that's crazy.
I could have never imagined Gino playing as well.
I mean, he's on a pro bowl trajectory right now.
He should make the pro bowl this year.
It shouldn't be a question.
It shouldn't be a question, but, you know,
they're going to put the gold standards in it just because,
good season or bad season.
Probably, you know how it is.
They're not going to play, so hopefully he's an alternate
and he get in anyway.
You know, that'd be okay with me.
Well, you got the Seahawks twice still on the schedule.
You know, that's going, you can say,
what you want. They're going to be a little emotional for you.
That's going to be a little different.
Yeah, definitely be some energy.
I think the one, I think the one down here won't be as much.
I think it'll just be more so he was playing them.
But I think the one when we play in Seattle will actually probably be the game.
It's a little bit of emotion because, you know, you go into that stadium.
And this time, you're not in the home locker room.
You're in the visiting locker room.
Right.
And then you come out and, you know,
And, you know, the booze or cheers or whatever, you don't know how you're going to be received.
And so I think that's going to be the emotional game.
And, you know, given how things are right now, like, who knows?
Like, who knows what that game potentially means for the season.
You know, this division is crazy.
It's going to mean something.
It's going to show me something.
Everybody's, everybody's, like, saying our records, but, you know, at the end of the day,
it's still a really dominant division.
You know, you look at it, you know, Arizona looks like they're starting to wake up.
Like 49ers are always good.
Rams are always good.
Seahawks are a surprising lot of people.
So, you know, we'll see with the, about it in the season.
So it's been seven months.
So I can ask you about it now.
I can ask you.
I can say something about it.
I can say something.
Pete said he regretted how everything went down.
How you feel about the Seahawks right now?
You know, it's going to be different when you're done playing and everything is cooled down.
Things might have cooled already for you.
Things might not have.
But he said he regretted what he did and how it went down and all.
that, but you're doing good, you playing well. How are you feeling about everything?
I feel fine, to be honest. Like, I never had any, I never had any, like, feelings per se
towards people. I just think that the business, you know, I'm really focused on business
and handling business and going by business the right way. And that was not, that was not handled
the right way. And I'm in my opinion. And I voiced my opinion. So a lot of, a lot of people who just
just assumed the voice of my opinion about the business being handled the wrong way was just
something that's going to last forever. Now, as a competitor, you know, you feel like they
feel like you had nothing left and, you know, they want to move on. From the business side, I understand
it. I have no hard feelings. But as a competitor, yeah, like, you know, when I play them and when I play
period, I want to prove myself right and them wrong. So I don't have no feelings towards them,
per se.
I think the people that I have
feeling tourists, they know.
But, you know, I wouldn't say
Pete's one of them.
I wouldn't say John's one of them.
I wouldn't say,
Jody, one of them.
I wouldn't say, like, 98% of the people
in that building
know that it's all love.
But, you know.
And the fans know.
And the fans know.
The fans know where I'm at.
You know what I'm saying?
They still see me in Seattle.
But there's a couple people
in that organization, that business
that they know what's up.
And, you know,
they know where my energy.
Right. And they're going to have to feel that energy two more times.
Imagine an Olympics where doping is not only legal but encouraged.
It's the enhanced games. Some call it grotesque. Others say it's unleashing human potential.
Either way, the podcast's Superhuman documented it all, embedded in the games and with the athletes for a full year.
Within probably 10 days, I'd put on 10 pounds. I was having trouble stopping the muscle growth.
Listen to Superhuman on the IHard Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
A win is a win.
A win is a win.
I don't care what I'm saying.
Yep, that's me, CliverTaylor the 4th.
You might have seen the skits, the reactions, my journey from basketball to college football, or my career in sports media.
Well, somewhere along the way, this platform became bigger than I ever imagined.
And now I'm bringing all of that excitement to my brand new podcast, The Clifford Show.

Do you remember when Diana Ross
double-tap Little Kim's boobs at the VMAs?
Or when Kanye said that George Bush didn't like black people.
I know what you're thinking.
What the hell does George Bush got to do with Little Kim?
Well, you can find out on the Look Back at it podcast.
I'm Sam J.
And I'm Alex English.
Each episode, we pick it here, unpack what went down, and try to make sense of how we survived it.
Including a recent episode with Mark Lamont Hill, waxing all about crack in the 80s.
To be clear, 84's big to me, not just because of crack.
I'm down to talk about crack all day, but just so y'all know.
I mean, at this point, Mark, this is the second episode where we've discussed crack.
So I'm starting to see that there's a through line.
We also have AIDS on the table right now.
Thank you for finishing that sentence.
Yes.
I don't think there's a more important year for black people.
Really?
Yeah.
For me, it's one of the most important years for black people in American history.
Listen to look back at it on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Speaking of that, when you come in, how you think you're going to be received?
Because I think it's the last game of the season.
And you come to Seattle.
And when the Broncos game, the reception wasn't, it was different than what people expected.
I don't expect the same for you.
I think the circumstances are different.
I think everybody, the understanding is different.
But what you think?
I don't know.
I don't know.
I do feel like the energy was different.
I never dreamed of leaving Seattle.
You know, we talked about it.
We talked about it all the time about how dope it would be to play, you know,
forever for an organization.
So I think for me, the business side called up to me.
You know, they were ready to move on, go younger.
and so that's what it was.
So, you know, how I'm received, who knows, hopefully good,
but I understand if it's not.
Right.
I doubt it's going to be anything different.
You know, I still have your jersey on.
I might have you jersey on.
I don't know.
I got it.
It's on the wall.
You want me to take it off the wall?
I appreciate it.
I send you another one.
Okay, I appreciate it.
You know what I mean?
I don't got the four, five.
I got the five four.
So it's almost like, I'm an old friend.
You know what I'm not a new free.
No, I can sit down one too easy.
Okay, I appreciate that.
Appreciate that.
So you got the Broncos on Christmas.
Is that one, does that one have any more meaning to you or is it just another game?
They kind of struggling right now.
They, two and five, I think, you know, got to go to London and find a way to win.
But obviously, another X team, mate.
I don't think that game has, like, any weight outside of playing on Christmas.
I've never played on Christmas before.
Right.
And to play on Christmas, I think that would be a great gift to myself to get a win to everybody to get a win.
But obviously, you know, play rush.
All in the years, we practiced against them and couldn't touch them and, you know, had to let them run by.
You know, that's not going to be the cases go around.
Right, right.
There's no red jersey on him this time.
No, no red jersey.
So, you know, I'm going to definitely have some fun at game.
But I'm not going to treat it like any other game or any bigger game.
the game on Christmas against a former teammate.
Like, I'm not going to, like, put too much weight into it.
But it'll be a fun game.
It's going to be a fun game.
I'm going to watch that one.
You know, I'm going to watch that one.
I'm going to be sitting there eating turkey or, you know, with...
I'm not eating turkey while.
I'm eating it with the cranberry salt, but I'm probably going to eat the ham first.
I'm going to eat a little bit of the greens.
You know what I mean?
Yeah, that's...
I'm not a traditional Thanksgiving food type of guy.
I think that's not news.
you. I've been at your house multiple times.
I've never, I've never ate.
Let me act like it's new.
I'm just saying that's not new.
I just, you know, the whole turkey and all that other stuff is, it is what it is.
So you just, you just go miss the meal and just be like, oh, okay, it's whatever.
No, well, you know, fortunately I go to a friend's house and, you know, he has turkey, steak,
lobster, you know what I'm saying, all type of stuff.
Friend is that?
I need to go to their house.
I mean, if you look at the name above your head and you say that out loud,
I think that'll be the guy.
I don't, you know what I mean?
I don't translate well.
So we want to just keep on.
I see what the San Francisco head on, too, and you was trying to hide that.
How am I trying to hide it?
Because you got the Nike, I mean, the NFL on the front.
Well, because my head look big when I wear hats to the front.
Oh, yeah, yeah.
I look smooth with it from the back.
Yeah, better out.
Okay, you're good?
Everything all right?
Yeah, you know what I'm saying?
With friends like you, who needs enemies?
I mean, I could definitely be in me.
No, no, no, thank you.
No, thank you.
How about that?
No, thank you.
Just saying.
Speaking of friends, you know what I mean?
You've had a lot of great teammates.
You got a lot of great teammates right now,
some really amazing guys.
Who are some of your favorite teammates?
You know, I'm not going to say put a list together and rank them,
but just put a list together.
I'll rank them.
I'm not going to rank them.
I'm not going to rank them.
I'm not going to rank them.
I'm not going to rank them.
If you don't rank them, I just,
So then how do you rank?
Wow.
No, I mean, I would say, obviously, the group that we played with,
because we played with each other for so long, like,
when we got into the league, they was like,
oh, yeah, you guys are going to stay together for like two or three years
and they're going to split you up.
And then when we were all getting around year four,
they was like, there's no way that they figure out how to pay all you guys.
And they figured out how to pay all of us.
And so we spent, I believe, seven years together.
So, you know, myself, you, KJ, Cam, Earl, Mike Bennett, Cliff Abrell, Russ, Doug Curse, Sean.
Doug Curse, Marshawn, you know, I'm pretty sure I'm forgetting somebody.
But that group was just special.
Even you would add Pete, too, like Pete, like, I think what made our group so special was from the place.
players to the coaches, everybody had a chip on his shoulder.
Everybody has something to prove.
You know, even, you know, Coach Carroll, like, everybody was doubting whether or not he can be
successful in the league because of his last stance.
And so we all had, like, a common goal and common chip on the shoulder and wanted to prove
everybody right.
So that's what made practice is fun because every day you was getting somebody that had
something to prove and they would challenge you accordingly.
it. And, you know, if you wasn't up for that challenge, you did not make that team.
And so there was people that was drafted that didn't make our team. And there was people
that was undrafted that made our team. And so, you know, I think that group, I don't know if
that group would ever be touched. And, you know, our 30 for 30s are going to be amazing.
And in my book, in my book, in my book, it's going to be crazy because then I'm going to tell it,
I'm going to tell everything. No, no, no, no, no, no, like, censor my part. Like, just, you know what I'm
I'll have a whole chapter.
No, no, no, no, no.
I just, you know, a few paragraphs, that'd be, that's a vice.
I'm going to put, I'm going to put your chapter right next to Russell's chapter.
Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.
Hey, it, it, okay.
I mean, whatever.
I mean, I mean.
That'd be great.
Well, you got Sean McVeigh and you got Pete, you know, one's an offensive-minded coach, one's a defensive-minded coach, one's a young coach, one's a older coach.
So what's the differences?
You know what I mean?
or are they just too similar and just 40 years apart or so?
Yeah, I don't know what the age difference is.
I think, you know, hopefully this is my last stop.
You know, so if that is the case, then I would definitely say I had a blessed career when it came to coaches
because, you know, I had two very high-quality, high-class coaches.
And I think the thing that I like about both of them the most is,
They love the game.
Obviously, one's a defensive-minded coach and one's an offensive-minded coach.
But you learn so much from as a man, and then they challenge you to do other things outside of football.
And that's something I respected, Coach Carroll a lot, and that's something I respect my coachman Velaide.
Is, you know, they take the time to get to know you deeper than just the player.
They understand who you are as a person.
And I think that's what makes them able to.
get the best out of anybody that plays for them is because they know you on a personal level
and they try to push you to be the best version of yourself.
And it's literally the best version of yourself.
Like they don't want you to change who you are.
They just want to be the best, the best you could possibly be.
And if you do that, and that's in the success.
And so I've been fortunate, you know, to be able to play for these two coaches.
It's been fun.
And, you know, we'll see if we can.
get to that big game like you did.
Right, right, right, right, right.
You didn't bid a couple times.
Let's talk about your favorite pair of Jordans.
Because me as not a Jordan guy,
because I got to go buy mine from the store,
and you being a lifetime Jordan guy,
lifetime Jordan guy,
you got to get access to some pretty cool stuff.
Yeah, I would say my favorite,
my favorite are the 11s, any 11s are my favorite.
I think my second favorite are the one,
And then my third favorite are the 12s.
If I had to put a four in there, I would say the threes and then the fours.
But that's like 13s, too.
So that's six.
But I could get them in order in which I like them today.
That could change.
Okay.
Well, Jordan's probably watching it.
It'll probably make you 11th.
You know what I mean?
And then they'll make you the ones, the high top ones.
Well, you already had.
And then they'll make you the...
I mean, we still got some fire on the way.
You know what I mean?
So we definitely got some heat coming before the season.
Maybe I bring them out in Seattle.
Yeah, yeah.
Well, I'll be there.
Just call my name.
And I'll be...
See, I could have been a singer.
They just didn't give me the voice.
You know what I mean?
They just gave me the rest of it.
You know what I mean?
You know what I mean?
It's like, it's like, well, I appreciate you joining me, brother.
always, if there's any time you need me.
If you want to come co-host anytime,
Sunday nights will be fun, too.
We'll break down some of these games,
and they really show your knowledge.
Say less. Say less. It's easy.
Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Well, give me one of those
sweaters, you know what I mean, those hoodies, you know,
any extra large, you know, I wouldn't mind.
Yours.
It's mine. I can't, I ain't got no shoes to go with it.
You have shoes to go, I see your closet.
You have shoes to go with.
Jokes.
Jokes.
And Nike, everybody who was listening and watching, because it hasn't stopped recording.
Out of the 11 years that I've played in the league, Sherman's the only person that I know that has his own shoe.
That is not true.
And you had not only, not a tweet, a shoe.
You had your own shoe.
With your own logo on the shoe.
And then you had Kobe's.
Not like painted Kobe's.
You had Kobe cleats, like, fire.
Well, that was, that's different.
That's not, okay, I see what you're doing about.
I see what you're doing here.
It's impressive.
I wish, you know, I wish I could have a little Jordan, too.
But, you know, I called Jordan and was like, hey, y'all want to do something.
They was like, we're going with Bobby.
I said, oh, I'll say less.
You know what I mean?
You know what I mean?
Actually, it went with Earl and then they went with Bobby.
you know, so they ignore me twice, you know, but that's a story.
I mean, you know.
They made the right decision.
You know, you can't hear it.
You know what I mean?
You can't have it on.
I appreciate you, brother.
We go check in with you again this season.
Get y'all winning this week and good luck.
Appreciate you.
Thank you.
Appreciate you.
Another podcast from some SNL late night comedy guy,
not quite.
Unhumor me with Robert Smygel and friends.
me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman help make you funnier.
This week, my guest, SNL's Mikey Day and head writer Streeter Seidel,
help an a cappella band with their between songs banter.
Where does your group perform?
We do some retirement homes.
Those people are starving for banter.
