Imagine an Olympics where doping is not only legal, but encouraged.
It's the enhanced games.
Some call it grotesque.
Others say it's unleashing human potential.
Either way, the podcast's Superhuman documented it all, embedded in the games and with the athletes
for a full year.
Within probably 10 days, I'd put on 10 pounds.
I was having trouble stopping the muscle growth.

Welcome back to the Richard Sherman podcast.
Got my guy, Mike E on here.
Appreciate you joining me.
Yeah, no problem, brother.
Thanks for having me.
Anytime.
So another season, Tom's back.
Everything seems good to go.
How you feeling?
I'm feeling good, man.
I'm excited that we got them back for one more year.
We've had a pretty good training camp.
You know, guys are starting to get really healthy now.
And we're ready to go.
Yeah, I know it was a little concerning.
You know, obviously losing Ryan, man, early in the training camp was tough.
But, you know, I think you guys are obviously built to withstand it.
How is Quintorris doing?
My boy, Victorio.
He was good.
I did not know that was his name until he told us in a locker room.
That's one of one.
Got to be.
Gotta be.
Like, I don't know.
Nobody else with that name, even close to it.
Ever, ever.
I only call him Quintors.
He get upset, but I ain't calling you Adels.
I ain't calling you Julio if your name is Quintors.
But that receiver room is crazy.
I mean, it sounds like Chris's back,
sound like everything is going solid with him.
Russell Gage was a problem out there in Atlanta.
I mean, how is it in that receiver room right now?
That's good, man.
We've been having a lot of fun.
One all-time grade out.
bring another all-time great in.
I mean, it's been smooth, man.
Julio's one of the all-time great players that we've had in this league.
And it's been cool watching him work and seeing how he is as a person.
He's a real cool guy.
Yeah, he's super cool, man.
And I'm sure, like, obviously, y'all been in the same division,
y'all whole careers and, you know, seeing him work from the outside
and seeing him as an opponent and then seeing him as a teammate.
How much different is that for you, man?
I know, you know, going against somebody in this.
Bro, it's been different.
Like, even with you, like everybody that I, you know, like the prominent players, guys that I've looked up to and enjoy watching, have an opportunity to be their teammates and see it up close and personal.
I see why, like, you were great and why he's great.
And y'all just down-nerved dudes that just love what y'all do.
And it's cool that, you know, I've had the opportunity to, you know, play with you, shady, hudio guys that I've admired and, you know, get to call him teammates, A-B as well.
See, the most humble teammate to be as good and as good.
talented and as monstrous as you are.
And I get tired of it.
I get tired of you.
You've led the league and touchdown since you've been in the league.
And then you never hear about you.
You know what I mean?
Nobody ever mentioned it.
Like, oh, these are the best receivers in the league.
And nobody's saying Mike Evans and it'd be pissing me off.
And I'm like, hey, y'all, listen, you ain't had to deal with him.
Like, yeah.
And it's a reason he getting a thousand.
He says of coordinators, no.
Right.
But in players, no.
But it still don't make sense.
Like, how does that make you feel?
But you've been under the radar somehow, even though you're breaking the record for a thousand-yard seasons.
Like, man, tell me what.
I hold myself to the highest standard no matter what.
So nobody's opinion matters as much as mine.
You know what I'm saying?
Like, I'm going to take my opinion over somebody else when it comes to football, especially playing the receiver position.
You know, I've always thought I was the best receiver probably after my third year in the league at 2016, 2017.
I thought I was the best receiver in the league at that point.
Guys might have better, you know, numbers,
certain, like, different seasons.
But, you know, consistently with my situation,
I feel like, you know, I've been up there.
I'm in the conversation.
No question.
No question at all.
I'm sure everybody in the goddamn NFC South would be happy to explain that to everybody else.
I'd be happy to explain that.
And I ain't even going to tell them about you when you brand the marshal me.
That's a whole story for a different day.
You know, he ain't going to go there.
But y'all set up for success, man.
How's the DB's been?
How's CD been?
You know, with his new deal.
You know, he paid now.
Yeah, he's paid.
Well deserved.
He got the well-deserved bag,
and he's had a phenomenal count.
They look hungry.
All the DBs look hungry.
The defense as a whole,
they look even better than they were last year.
So I'm excited to see what they can do.
Look forward to a great year on the defensive end.
Man, what Dean out there doing, man?
You know, Dean, D.
Man, you know, Dean's physical at that line, man.
He's really good at the line.
He's kind of like you at the line.
a long guy that can run.
His ball skills aren't as good as yours.
Hey, we're working on that.
But he's fast, but he's faster.
He's fast as ever.
He's super fast, man.
Dean had a really good count.
He gets the ball like he's trying to get in the fight with it.
He actually made some really good plays in this camp,
like high pointing the ball and intercepting it.
He surprised me.
Man, I got to go see those.
I got to see those.
I got to hit Rock and tell him to send me the clips.
Dean, he'll send him to see you.
Right, right. You know he got them at the top of his phone.
Probably do. They were some good plays.
That's good, man. How my boy Lenny been?
You know, they was talking about all his mess.
As usual.
No, he's been good, man. He ain't, he ain't two-60, like they say.
Man, he's running good. He's had a good chance.
Like, no matter what the weight say,
like, people make a big deal out of anything these days.
Did you ever finish the book?
Which one?
At least one. You said, you're going to be a hard.
No, I'm on God to the Fire.
right now on the audiobooks.
The books are,
it has so much detail in them, man.
I like them.
I put them on in the car,
you know what I'm saying?
Like the audiobooks,
like you told me.
On the plane,
I listen to them.
And that's cool,
man, I get in that world.
Bro, how important is that for you?
Like, to be able to get away?
It was a lot of unanswered things.
You know,
I always asked you and you tell me.
And it's cool reading it
or listening to it
and, you know,
missing out on the stuff that I didn't know.
And it's cool getting those answers.
Right, right.
You got the, I saw you got the tat.
What went into that?
Man, I've been trying to get tattoos for the longest,
especially something like with Harry Potter, you know, me and you love it.
But tattoos fucking hurt, bro.
They hurt, man, but I found this great numbing cream.
I used Trishin works for my leg tat.
He said he had a fast hand and they had some good work.
So I tried him out and he did a great job on my leg tat,
so I'm gonna let them finish.
Oh, what else you gonna do?
I gotta get the Hogwarts Castle behind.
Harry Ron Hermione.
And it was looking good, but I just couldn't finish it.
It was getting painful.
Right, right, right, right.
You need a shot of tequila and some more numbing cream on there.
Absolutely.
How's the family doing?
Hey, good.
My two daughters, my 10 and 5-year-old are in school,
my two-year-old son and my three-month-old daughter just at home,
giving my wife fits.
No, they've been good, though.
They've been great.
You get any vacations this off-season?
Yeah, yeah.
Me and my wife went to Puerto Rico.
Okay.
And I forgot it was the U.S.
I forgot because we wanted, she wanted to go somewhere, you know, out the country,
but she couldn't find her passport.
So we made a quick trip to Puerto Rico.
And that was one of my favorite trips, man.
Me and her just got to spend some time together, relax, get away from everything.
It's great food out there.
And it's a perfect mix of, like, foreign and America.
Right.
That was perfect for us.
See, we got to, we got to help your wife.
out. We can't just have Ms. Evans not being able to travel out the top country.
Come on now.
No, she got her passport.
She's got one expedited, so we're good.
Okay, okay, okay.
All right, so what's the expectations for this season?
For you, for the team, for the offense.
I mean, y'all should break records.
Tom's comfortable, you know, everybody making a hubbub about him missing 11 games.
Like, he ain't had seven rings.
Like, I don't get him if he missed 32 days.
I said the same thing, man.
Like, we know what he's about, and life happens to everybody.
but you know what it's like
when you have a team of this caliber
the goal is to win the championship.
I mean, win the Super Bowl.
I mean, that's our number one goal, obviously.
But we gotta do that by playing good ball all year.
So all year, we've got to be consistent,
be the smartest team
because we're definitely one of the top three
most talented teams in the league I feel.
So talent would not be the problem.
Got to stay healthy and just do the little things right.
Hey, how the meeting's been different with Todd instead of VA?
Um, they've been, they've been similar, but not as much cuss words, I guess.
Right.
Yeah, not as much vulgarity in the speech, but it's been similar, you know,
their boys and they coach kind of the same way.
So it's been a smooth camp.
Is B.A. still around and still in everybody here?
Yeah, he is.
Especially at joint practices.
It felt like he was the head coach still, like how he was talking to the officials and stuff like that.
So it's good to have him around still.
That's cool, man.
It's the office, everything is staying the same?
There's continuity, obviously. Left is still there.
That's pretty cool, man.
I'm excited to hear that.
The young guys are doing well.
I'm doing well.
I'm doing the Amazon thing now.
So I get to see y'all.
Is it Thursday game?
Yes, Thursday game.
Oh, so Ravens.
Yeah, Baltimore, Baltimore.
Lamar Jackson.
He's fun to watch, man, but I hope we can bottle them up.
My first time seeing him was his rookie year,
and I think he started like the second half of the season.
It was in Baltimore.
It was a rainy game.
cold as hell, like 30 degrees,
raining cold, and he
was just making everybody
miss, shaking everybody.
Like, it's different sitting in person.
He's kind of, he's tall and skinny, and
he's, like, stronger than he looks. He was shaking
everybody, breaking tackles, and
they beat us that game, and, you know, he put
on the show. Oh, I know. We played
him, and it was the exact same circumstance.
It's cold, rainy. We thought we had
the game. You know, when the offense was moving,
that boy came around
on these quarterback runs.
He shook our nickel.
And you know, every week you see a highlight from him.
He shook our nickel, K-Wan.
We talked about it all week.
That was the frustrating part.
It was like, hey, don't let him bounce outside.
That boy said, boom, boom, boom, what?
That boy fell inside.
He bounced outside.
I said, ah, it's easier to sit than done.
It definitely is.
I think that's the hardest thing to do on defense.
Right.
Tackle.
Because there's so many different type of guys.
You got guys like him, Cheetah, Leonard Fornette, Derek Henry.
like it's so many different guys
and they all got like their
their skill set and their ability
it's hard to tackle them dudes
no question lennie lennie is frustrating
because lennie want to smile and laugh
and be like a moving call
you can take a shot like it's nothing
right right
to just get up laughing like dude crazy

but encouraged it's the enhanced games
some call it grotesque
others say it's unleashing human potential

A win is a win.
A win is a win.
I don't care what you're saying.
Yep, that's me, Cliver Taylor the 4th.
You might have seen the skits, the reactions, my journey from my journey from.
basketball to college football or my career in sports media.
Well, somewhere along the way, this platform became bigger than I ever imagined.
And now I'm bringing all of that excitement to my brand new podcast, The Clifford Show.
This is a place for raw, unfiltered conversations with some of your favorite athletes,

Do you remember when Diana Ross double-tap little Kim's boobs at the VMAs?
Or when Kanye said that George Bush didn't like black people.
I know what you're thinking.
What the hell does George Bush got to do with a little Kim?
Well, you can find out on the Look Back at it podcast.
I'm Sam Jay.
And I'm Alex English.
Each episode, we pick it here, unpack what went down, and try to make sense of how we survived it.
Including a recent episode with Mark Lamont Hill, waxing all about crack in the 80s.
To be clear, 84 is big to me, not just because of crack.
I'm down to talk about crack on day, but just so you all know.
I mean, at this point, Mark, this is the second episode where we've discussed.
So I'm starting to see that there's a through line.
We also have AIDS on the table right now.
Thank you finishing that sentence.
I don't think there's a more important year for black people.
Really?
Yeah.
For me, it's one of the most important years for black people in American history.
Listen to look back at it on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
So is there any game y'all got circled this year?
I feel like being there for a little bit of time, I was there.
The Saints game.
got to be circled twice and maybe four, five times for CG.
Like, it might be circled a few more times.
And what's his name is gone now?
22 is gone.
So, I, you know, it's going to be different.
But what games you got circled?
Man, all the teams that play cover one.
You know how I am.
I want one-on-one opportunities, you know.
And throughout the year, I get some.
But I want teams that play one high.
Like, you know, Seattle used to play cover three and cover one.
Atlanta used to play cover three,
one. So all the teams that are playing a lot of man coverage, no safety help.
Well, they bet not be safety helping with CG and Julio and Russell Gage.
Are they going to be, they're going to see, oh, we limited Mike Evans.
Somehow it's always, you know, guy on my side.
Even when we got AB, Chris, Gronk, somehow just that safety can tend to creep over there.
Right, right, right, right. Well, Mike, it's six 12.
I know, man, I'm excited for the season.
Just last year was a great season because we got the fans back.
last year. Every game in Tampa felt like a playoff game. So I'm just excited for every game.
How your body feeling? That's the important part. I'm feeling good. I'm feeling good.
You know, year 9, 29 years old. I feel better now than I did when I was younger because I know how to
take care of my body. I know what I need to do in practice. You know how to like just do the little
maintenance things to stay fresh. Right. That's the important. It took some weight off me too.
So that was the biggest part. It took some weight. How much weight?
My rookie year I was 240 plus.
Some days I went in 245, some days like 242.
So I was big back then, man.
And now you were 225, 230?
225, 225.
220, 225.
Okay, you know, lost the baby fat.
Yeah, I used to have the cheeks.
What game you're playing right now?
What games are you on?
Oh, yeah, I'm always on Fortnite.
Always on Fortnite.
I heard they took the building out.
Oh, yeah, they got a game old where there's no builds, and that's fun.
I like both modes, though.
So you didn't say that on top.
Okay.
Yeah, they got the no bill mode.
I love it at.
They got the regular bill mode.
So I'm waiting for the new 2K to come out.
I'm not a big Madden guy.
Me either.
You can't play it when you do it.
What are you playing?
I'm playing 2K.
I've been playing Apex a little bit.
Apex, okay.
Yeah, I have played Eldon Ring.
I've seen people playing that.
It takes a lot of time.
Yeah, it's a lot of time.
It's cool.
It's just, you know, it's one of those games you got to get into.
and really have time to digest it.
But what kind of build you're going with this year in 2K?
I always do with like a 2A.
Somebody that got to have defense.
Like I can't stand not having defense on the game.
Right.
Sliding all over the place.
I'll probably make like a,
I always usually make like a stretch big or like a point forward type.
We'll see.
Probably those two builds.
What derailed your heist Hoopin's career, Mike?
It's 612.
What derailed it?
Yeah.
Mm.
It was so tough for me to choose football.
but back then I was like super physical and I was very passionate and I hated losing I still do
but like the referees I could not control myself like now I can control myself a little bit better
but like when I was younger a kid I said man I'm going to college to play football because the riffs
don't like had that much of an input right what they really do though they still be on you they
still be on you yeah like basketball like it was it should be dudes that are like 5 10 I'll just do the
verticality, just not even take them serious,
blocked a shot, and a riff a call or follow him,
just because. So, I mean,
I just hated that part of the basketball.
Right. Even though it's, you know, still
probably my favorite sport, or tied with football, definitely.
You see, it seemed like you're missing a little bit right now, Mike.
I love watching it. I don't know, I mean, I hope every
night again and do some basketball workouts, but that's about it.
Who your team?
Yeah, it was D. Wade, and then D. Wade retired, now
LeBron.
But right now it's tough to be a LeBron.
I'm a Laker fan.
So it's very difficult.
It's very tough.
Not to be a LeBron fan.
To be a Lakers fan.
Yeah, I don't really care about the Lakers, honestly.
Damn.
You got to care about him having success.
I want the team to do well because he's on it,
but if he left the team, I would not care about the team.
Right.
Well, it's going to be hard for us to have success right now.
I'm from Galvest in Texas.
Like, the closest thing we got is the Houston Rockets.
So I like the Rockets a little bit.
Come on now, now your hometown will be sitting here screaming at you right now.
But I appreciate you, Mike.
I appreciate you coming up.
I know y'all got a busy week.
I know y'all are ready for Dallas.
That's going to be a fun game.
Last year it was a shootout.
It's going to be crazy again.
I would imagine.
They ain't got the same kind of receiving core they had last year,
but they still got it.
Young CD.
I got a question for you.
Shoot.
What's harder to play?
Cornerback or receiver?
Nah.
I say corner.
I say corner because it's just,
it could be any play could just ruin your damn day.
Any play.
Hey, at Whiteout,
you might not.
not have a good day, like stuff going bad.
In the fourth quarter, you can maw somebody in the end zone.
And it's a hell of a day.
Corner, you could be playing your butt off the whole game.
Like, it's perfect.
You give up one crucial grab late in that game.
You suck.
Like, wait, I was strapping.
That's a great point.
But what were you better at, receiver or corner?
That's, Mike, you putting me on the spot.
I mean, you were probably, probably,
I'm about to be a Hall of Fame cornerback.
I'd say corner because I thought.
But you started as receiver.
But corner, I have more control.
Receiver, that's why it's so hard.
Because if your quarterback ain't getting you to rock, the offensive line ain't blocking,
the play calls ain't coming your way.
A lot that goes into being a receiver.
Right.
That's why I think it's harder.
See, but white out, if I'm dead tired, I didn't ran, faux go route.
You can come out.
I can come out.
Corner, I cover the foe go route.
That's a fact.
That's a fact.
I'm breathing, too.
I can't come out.
And now y'all got the lineup, y'all got, oh, I got Mike Evans.
Mike, you tired.
Here come Julio Jones.
Okay, here comes C.D.
It comes Russell Gage.
Oh, come.
Wes.
What?
Like, that's what somebody's going to have to deal.
Not me.
I'm going to get the, you know what I'm going to be on the side.
Not me, Mike.
I'm going to be out there.
I know how tough that is.
Man, it's tough, man.
Corner is tough.
Like I said, I think the hardest thing to do is tackle.
Right.
There's so many different guys.
So imagine dealing with you, covering you, then turn it around tackling Lenny, having a half-concussion, seeing three things, and then being like, here come Mike, all right, go route, nine ball, jump ball.
That's fair.
That's a lot to worry about it.
It is.
It's stressed.
That's a good debate.
That's a good debate.
It is.
But why don't you got so many things.
crazy skillset.
You got to be like,
the guy.
Right.
Like, that shit's hard.
That's very hard.
And double-teamed receivers have the hardest practice out of everybody.
Most running.
So, I mean, it's tough.
And the playbook's tough.
The playbook's harder.
I got full five options on one coverage.
Or like,
depending on the coverage.
Right.
That's the thing fans don't really realize.
Y'all got to identify coverages with the quarterback.
Because if you're not, people are like,
oh, what happened?
If you're not on the same page, it could be a turnover.
And if you're causing turnover,
you would not play. If you're not playing, you ain't getting paid.
Right. Then boys in Green Bay finding that out right now.
A. Rod, getting there, like, ready to cuss everybody. You can't catch? Get off the dang
field. It's like, well, A, right, you're only going to have two receivers on the field.
Damn, what are we talking about? But I feel you. I feel you. Well, I appreciate you, brother.
I see y'all. I think we got y'all late October. Yeah, I think in October, we got your game.
So I'll probably see y'all on the field that day. I'll probably come message you before the game.
you know, you see what you're up to.
These are going to be going great.
You'll probably have a thousand by the end.
Hopefully.
And I'll see.
Check on you and the family.
You're going to have it, Mike.
We'll see.
I appreciate you, brother.
I ain't going to take too much more of your time.
You have a good day.
Say hello to the family for me.
All right, big bro.
Appreciate you, man.
All love, brother.
The volume.
Another podcast from some SNL,
late night comedy guy,
not quite.
Unhumor me with Robert Smygel and friends,
me and hilarious guests
from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman
help make you funnier.
This week, my guest, S&L's Mikey Day
and head writer, Streeter Seidel,
help an a cappella band with their
between songs banter. Where does your group
perform? We do some retirement homes.
Those people are starving for banter.

Hey, what's good, y'all?
You're listening to Learn the Hardweight with your favorite therapist and host Kier Games.
This space is about black men's experiences, having honest conversations that it's really not safe to have anywhere, but you're having them with a licensed professional who knows what he's doing.
How many men carry a suit or armor.
It signals to the world that you're not to be played with.
And just because you have the capability that does not mean that you need to.
Listen to learn the hard way on the IHard radio app, Apple Podcast, or wherever you get your podcast.
This is an IHart podcast.
Guaranteed Human.
Thank you.
