Folks, we are back on the way concept presented by The Ring Magazine. And today we have breaking news that I don't even know if it's true yet or not. It's being reported. And I can't even believe I'm about to tell you that Andrew Tate is coming out of retirement to
Starting point is 00:02:31 on misfits. That's the report. What is happening? Let's get into it. The breakdown, let's go. I-FIN, our favorite clippers and shippers are reporting, or at least secondhand reporting from the mirror sport, that Andrew Tate, believe it or not, is set to face the goat Chase DeMore on misfits. I can't even believe I just said that. uh... Andrew Tate versus Chase the Moore in Dubai on September 20th as a headline act for Misfits 23 now before we even get into the story itself there is a tweet from Mams Taylor just like was that today okay it was today keep December 20th free whatever you do the fight before Christmas I like the wordplay appreciate that find them goofies that leaked it
Starting point is 00:03:19 fans deserve to know something though this isn't necessarily confirmation that This is the fight that's going to happen between Chase D' Moore and Andrew Tate, but where there's smoke, there's fire. And guys, I don't know a single thing about anything. I am reporting just based on what I'm seeing, just like you guys are. But Andrew Tate, potentially, at age, how old is Andrew Tate? At age 38, rumored to be, reported to be coming out of retirement to fight on a Dubai card, misfits Dubai card, right at the end of the year, Christmas time period,
Starting point is 00:03:54 in the same arena, the Coca-Cola arena, where Dejie fought Mayweather. I commentated that fight. I was there that night. So if this is going down, I'm just saying it would only be right if I was there again. But before we do, quick break to talk about today's sponsor of the video, first form. That's right, guys. First form is my go-to for any supplementation I use during my workouts, during my recovery from my workouts, and just during my daily life.
Starting point is 00:04:19 They're a company that worries about people first and products later, so they got your best interest, your health and fitness in mind when making products like this one. Bam! The Formula One, the way I slip protein. Listen, guys, it's what I use after every workout because I need to be sure that every time I'm working out, I'm getting out of that workout what I put into it. And that doesn't just end when I leave the gym. It ends when I recover the right way because if I'm working out great and eating like crap,
Starting point is 00:04:46 it's not going to go together. If I'm working out great and recovering like crap, it's not going to help me. So whether it's first forms for me, whether it's the Opta Greens 50 whether it's creatine anything else that you guys need you have this backing this HSF certified backing that all your products have been tested and approved safely for you to use I got to admit as much as I love working out I haven't felt better than now when I'm taking my first form after my recovery and I'm about to be 33 years old so I need all the recovery I can get if you guys want to take part in the first form movement you guys want to
Starting point is 00:05:19 make sure that your first steps in the gym feel as good as the last ones you take leaving the gym. Make sure you click the link in the description and order your supplements from first form. And when you do so and spend over $100 first form is going to get you some free shipping on those products straight to your house. And let's just say you're not necessarily sure on what you want to do. You can try first form for 30 days. And if you're not absolutely over the moon satisfied, you can send it back for a 110% refund. Once again, Click the link in the description and get yourself some of the best supplementation on the planet. Thanks to First Form for sponsoring this video and now let's get back into the breakdown.
Starting point is 00:05:58 There's a lot to speculate on here. Number one, the opponent is supposedly Chase DeMore, which would mean that this is going to be contested in the heavyweight division. And Chase, you know, the goat of misfits, right? He's been a reliable guy for Miss. I love this for Chase. Chase gets a massive opportunity versus a massive name. One of the biggest worldwide names on the planet and Andrew Tate. That's someone damn near everybody knows of, at least the name itself.
Starting point is 00:06:22 And if you guys didn't know, Andrew Tate did have an extensive kickboxing career. I don't know if it was the highest level of K-1 or glory, but he was a long, tenured kickboxer that did have a pretty decent record and won some regional belts or maybe even some world title belts. I'm not exactly sure the level, but I've seen him on tape. He looks fucking good. He looks better than anyone Chase has ever fought. I'll tell you that right now.
Starting point is 00:06:44 And that was in kickboxing. And I've seen him do some sparring stuff boxing since then. and we can take a look at all of that stuff if this report ends up being true. So let's get to it really quickly. Exclusive. Andrew Tate set to fight Chase D' Moore on Misfits boxing debut. Tate was a world champion in kickboxing before. Emergent is one of the most controversial influencers on social media.
Starting point is 00:07:04 And Mere Fighting understands that he will take on actor turned boxer D' Moore in Dubai on December 20th as a headline act for Misfits 23. Yeah, I mean, it wouldn't make sense to bring Andrew Tate in, who yes, is massive. controversial. Most people are either on one side or the other when they think Andrew Tate is a piece of shit or Andrew Tate is an Oracle of Wisdom or however you want to look at him. He's helping young men, he's hurting young men. I don't personally have enough information to speak knowledgeably about Andrew Tate the person. But I know as a kickboxer and as a person, he is a global phenomenon and his name attached to misfits brings a lot of eyeballs. You can't deny that in any way, shape, or form. So of course, this had to be a main event if you're going to do an on an event
Starting point is 00:07:49 like this. This would be a huge, huge landing for misfits. I don't even want to venture what they had to pay him to essentially, if this is true, come in and do this. I have no idea. But I think it's a bit of a strategic move because, one, you have Chase DeMore, who they have been trying to promote for a while now and been someone that's been a very loyal heavyweight to misfits. And let's say Chase somehow wins. You've created somewhat of a star. kind of with Chase moving forward in your division and having him on misfits or you bring Andrew Tate in and Andrew Tate beats Chase DeMore and all of a sudden you have one of the biggest names in the world
Starting point is 00:08:26 on your boxing promotion potentially for more fights down the line. Anyway, let's keep going. DeMore holds the Misfits heavyweight title and has already fought five times this year, most recently drawing against Ephraim Caranza Gonzalez last month. I think that was in somewhere outside of Misfits. Chase does these fights where he goes and just goes and fights a guy. I don't know where he does him. I'm maybe down in Mexico.
Starting point is 00:08:51 I'm not sure, but they're not sanctioned by misfits or any sanctioning body that misfits is associated with. But he's still getting experience. And five fights in one year, you have to come in. It is understood that the final misfits card of the year will also feature, hold on, Darren Till, who has also long been linked with his own fight against Tate. Okay, this is interesting.
Starting point is 00:09:11 If Andrew Tate is in the main event, which makes sense, and Darren Till is not fighting Andrew Tate. Again, this is all being reported by the mirror. I have no idea. Who is Darren Till fighting if this is all lining up this way? Because surely you don't put Darren Till against Carl Frotch in the co-main, not the cobra. No way, no shay, no how.
Starting point is 00:09:32 Plus, you'd want to do that one in the UK, I would think. I don't know. I mean, again, you look back at Misfits cards and especially the prime card, and they did have Logan Paul Dylan Danis in the co-made event under KSI Tommy Fury. that was essentially a card that could have had a couple different main events. But if you're bringing Darren Till in for this one, who has been their main event guy, the Darren Stewart fight, the Anthony Taylor fight, the Luke Rockold fight,
Starting point is 00:09:53 big time main events for misfits. If you're bringing him in again and sticking him in the co-main, who in the world would that be again? The Mike Perry name comes to mind. He just had a big time win on BKFC. Sure, Jorge Mazvedal. Darren Till, I'm sure, would love to get that fight back after being knocked out in the UFC by Jorge,
Starting point is 00:10:10 but I don't know if Jorge's even in shape or if he's trained. have no idea. But do you guys remember back like, I don't know, a month ago sometime around then? Something called Front Kick Online. I don't know if this is a legit outlet or not, but they came out with an exclusive that said UFC Hall of Famer in three-time title contender. Alexander Gustafson turns to boxing, quote, the mauler is currently at advanced talks with misfits boxing to face a fellow UFC veteran in the boxing ring. Does that not sound just like a potential opponent for Darren Till? I mean, who else would be a UFC veteran that they would want to have in that position. Now, the size difference between those two would be crazy. And if Gustafson could get back
Starting point is 00:10:46 down to like under 200 pounds, then I'm down for it. But Gustafin was a big light heavyweight. He was six four cutting weight to make 205. So I don't know if he could do it. But if he could, we just saw Daryant Till take down another tall former middleweight move to light heavyweight in Luke Rockhold. Now, this would be a far bigger test from the Mueller. But still, that would be an insane fight. Till versus Gustafson boxing as a co-main to Andrew Tate. That would be fucking huge. And again, it sets up that potential for a Tate, Darren Till fight down the line, or Darren Till Carl Frotch, or whatever you want to do, but there's that. And then also, I didn't talk about this, but Leo, you can find the footage. Dylan Danis was on Demetrius Johnson's
Starting point is 00:11:26 podcast. Hey, it's us, the Jonas Brothers, and guess what? We have some big news. What's the news, huge news? We created our own podcast called, Hey Jonas. We invented a podcast? Well, we didn't invent it. We just contributed to it. We're the first people to do podcasts. Pretty, yeah. pretty wide range of podcasts throughout there. But this one's extra special. So how do we actually come up with a name Hey Jonas, guys?
Starting point is 00:11:49 I honestly don't remember. I think it was on a call about what we should call it. Oh, we were thinking I'm originally calling it one of the early names of our band before Jonas Brothers. This is how you guys remember it going down? Yes. I have a very different memory of this.
Starting point is 00:12:06 We were talking about a thing, a bit for the podcast where people could call in and say, hey Jonas. and then I wrote down on my little notepad, Hey Jonas, and offered it up as a potential title for the podcast. But thanks for remembering that, guys. Listen to Hey Jonas on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. Just listen. We don't care where you hear it.
Starting point is 00:12:26 Another podcast from some SNL late-night comedy guy, not quite. Unhumor me with Robert Smygel and friends. Me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman help make you funnier. This week, my guest, SNL's Mikey Day and Headwere writer Streeter Seidel, help an a cappella band with their between
Starting point is 00:12:44 songs banter. Where does your group perform? We do some retirement homes. Those people are starving for banter. Listen to humor me with Robert Smigel and friends on the I-Heart Radio app, Apple podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. The French Open is one of the toughest tests in tennis.
Starting point is 00:13:01 And I know firsthand because I competed there myself. I'm Renee Stubbs, and on the Renee Stubbs tennis podcast, I'm breaking down everything happening at Roland Garris. Every match, every upset, and what it really takes to win on Clay. Genschen won. I mean, she went down in three to Rabakina, but I'm delighted.
Starting point is 00:13:21 She's an outsider to win the French for me. And she likes Clay. Listen, Lena Rubakina is arguably the best player in the world right now, and I actually can win on any surface. Because if she's serving, well, good luck. Consider this your court side seat to the French Open. Listen to the Renee Stubbs Tennis Podcast on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts.
Starting point is 00:13:42 Presented by Capital One, founding partner of IHeart Women's Sports. What's up, fam? It's Isaiah Thomas. And I'm CJ Toledano, and our podcast Point Game is about defying the odds. Like LeBron heading into the playoffs without Luca and Austin Reed. And finding ways to win no matter what. He's the smartest player to ever play the game. His IQ is at a level that we've never seen before. And he knows without Luca and Austin Reeves, I got to manipulate the game.
Starting point is 00:14:07 We get a player's perspective on the challenges of the playoffs. I think Joker's going to be exhausted this series because when they don't have Rudy in the lineup, he has to really guard guys like Nas Reid. He has to guard Julius Randall. And then he has to give us everything he gives us on the night-to-night basis on offense. And when IT's friends stop by, like Quentin Richardson,
Starting point is 00:14:27 we dive into some playoff history too. Steve Nash would get that thing. That man, hell get the flying. He running up the court, licking his fingers, why he got the ball, like, after you go through a training camp with that Isaiah, you figure it out real quick. Get your ass up and down the court,
Starting point is 00:14:43 and you're going to get the ball. So listen to Point Game on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. And he was talking about potentially fighting against soon and that he would be fighting an MMA veteran and an MMA fight UFC champion in his next one. The guy that we're going to fight next, I don't know if I'm allowed to say it.
Starting point is 00:15:02 It's a good name. For me being 3 and 0, it's a three-time UFC world champion so okay yeah okay now is this under misfits banner for the 170 pound strap yeah it would be under misfits for the bill do you have a date for that yet i think it's December December i don't know i don't know who it could be but this could all be happening on the same card folks and that's fucking insane who else is going to be i mean dean the great is talking about fighters leaking this and that he's probably going to be on the card this thing is getting stacked son tate was a four-time world champion and
Starting point is 00:15:35 kickboxing winning his last title 12 years ago. He retired with a record of 76 and 9, winning 32 of his fights by knockout before retiring following his final fight in 2020. Timor has won eight of his 14 boxing fights and is undefeated in the last two years. His clash with Tate is set to take place the Coca-Cola Arena, which also hosted Floyd Mayweather's exhibition with Dejy in 2022. Okay, and hold on a second. I didn't see this tweet a second ago. I'm not going to say this is ma'am's Taylor confirming it because I can't say that. but this is him confirming it without confirming it. Ma'am says, if you're looking to watch Woke content,
Starting point is 00:16:09 watch the Snow White remake or something IDK with the hands out. This has to be referring to Andrew Tate because he is so controversial because he is, let's be honest, if we're going political here, he is hated by the left-leaning political spectrum for allegations of crimes that he is committed and we don't know what the truth is there or if he's going to be convicted of those things,
Starting point is 00:16:31 but as of right now, they're just allegations, and I think he's continuing to fight those allegations, But that to me seems like a soft commitment to saying, yeah, we're having Andrew Tate fight. So with that being said, I'm going to go ahead and, you know, go out on a limb and say this is actually happening. It may not be, I mean, I think it's going to be against Chase DeMore. Chase doesn't even know, apparently, as he tweeted this, this is the first time I'm hearing about this, definitely cap. But shit, I'll take a payday. So who knows what's actually happening?
Starting point is 00:16:56 I've seen Chase pull stuff like this before, though. Not to like ruin the gag here if that's what's going on, but I've seen him do this and then it ended up being true. And then you had this interesting Instagram post from Misfits today, which I don't know if it has anything to do with anything. But when you're hearing the names on this December card and you're seeing Andrew Tate, Darren Till, potentially, I have no idea, but potentially Dean the Great. And now a tweet, or not a tweet,
Starting point is 00:17:20 an Instagram post from Misfits nine hours ago about a Nissan Gibb. Let's take a look at this. For our top three fighters, we'd love to see Gibb face. We're going to start off with Tony Ferguson. I think that unification fight is something that... Hold on a second. Are you telling me we might potentially get a Nissan Gibb, Tony Ferguson on this card as well? I'm not saying that's what they're leaning at here or even what they're hinting at, but it would make sense. You wouldn't have to put Gibb or Tony in a compromising main event spot in a place in Dubai where we don't know how they would do.
Starting point is 00:17:52 There's still massive names. There would be the Misfits belt on the line. And you have a legend in Tony Ferguson that had one of the biggest impacts potentially you could have coming into Misfits. Beating Salt Poppy, people going absolutely nuts. I was going nuts on commentary. And now the guy that Salt Poppy potentially was going to fight, Gib or whoever else, maybe Slim in a rematch, Tony beats him.
Starting point is 00:18:14 Now Tony gets Gibb after Gibb beats Slim and the guitar card, where I came out with the mask on and was out here ready to go. Potential card, potential misfits December card. Main event, Andrew Tate versus Chase. Him more. Then we have our co-made. Darren Till versus question mark. Mike Perry, Jorge, we don't know.
Starting point is 00:18:37 Tony Ferguson versus Anneson, Gabe, Dean, the Great versus Lul Cray. Cray. All right, so let's just say, and I'm grasping at straws here, I have no idea if this would be a potential layout of the card. But if you had something like this, I forgot about this, but let's just say even Dylan Danis is available. Right? Yeah, misfits MMA, Dylan Danis versus whoever. Dean the Great, potentially versus Lil Kray, Kray, which I think everybody would want to see in this scene, specifically.
Starting point is 00:19:08 Tony Ferguson and Nissan Gibb, Darren Till versus maybe Mike Perry, maybe Jorge, somebody, I have no idea. Andrew Tate Chase to Moore in the main event. This right here is a pretty fucking stacked misfits card. The best one top to bottom, I would say, since the prime card. At least as far as name value is concerned. And again, this is just me hypothetically making a card up. But I'd have to think that there's a reason they're starting to promo an Nissan Gibb and what he's going to do next. Talking about Tony Ferguson, who else?
Starting point is 00:19:37 And I would say the opponent that would be crazy to watch Gibb face is none other than Amir Khan. Now, Amir Khan's been expressing some interest here and there. He's been sprinkling on the misfits box. You'd have to pay Amir Khan an obscene amount of money, I think, for him to do this. It wouldn't be as risky for Amir Khan as potentially some other fights that he could take for a big bag. Not to say Gibb can't hurt him or whatever. I mean, it's a mere fucking con. And he still looks like he's in decent enough shape.
Starting point is 00:20:03 I don't know. That would be out of left field. That would be one I did not expect. I would most expect Tony Ferguson. And I think that would probably be the easiest one to get done. So if that's the case, then yeah, that would be an insane misfits card. And again, this is all alleged. This is all rumor.
Starting point is 00:20:19 We don't really have any confirmation of anything right now to go off and say, yep, this is 1,000% going to happen. Yep, yep, yep, this is what it is. But bear with me. Let ma'am's Taylor Cook here because again, you may look at this and go, why Chase DeMore? Why, why, why? Chase has gone over the moon for misfits and done a lot of things that other guys wouldn't have done, fought for whatever amount of money on short notice.
Starting point is 00:20:40 He's gone out and really been a team player. And not to say that that necessarily deserves a massive Andrew Tate fight, but if Tate says yes, and they're able to pay both guys what they want, this is a good first intro fight for Andrew Tate. And it's a moment for Chase to Moore that can allow him to maybe take some of the shine. And let's say it does go chase his way, then you've built your homegrown star on misfits and you're able to do something with him. But if it goes the other way and injureate wins, you have Darren Till on the card in the co-main for a reason.
Starting point is 00:21:09 And if that were to be the case that Darren Till wins, Andrew Tate wins, you're talking about a main event that would be huge. And maybe you don't even do that. Maybe you have Andrew Tate off to the side and you're waiting for who to match him up with next. But then you have Darren Till and Carl Frotch. And that one's still fucking huge, especially in the UK. This is what I like to see misfits doing. They operate in a space outside of the conventional boxing circle, and they do so by getting names like Andrew Tate,
Starting point is 00:21:36 whether you like him or not. They get names like Carl Frotch potentially involved. Darren Till is there. Tony Ferguson's there. Dylan Dennis is there. There's a mixed bag of what they can bring, and it is unique and it is different, and I like that they're leaning further and further into unique and different
Starting point is 00:21:50 without it being just a complete circus cluster fuck. Like, this makes sense. Now, if this got leaked and this report ends up being true, that will be unfortunate that they didn't get to announce it on their own, but who cares? Because this would be fucking insane. I'm down for it. I can't wait to watch.
Starting point is 00:22:06 If this is true, this card fill out. Because if Andrew Tate's at the top of it, just like we've seen when KSI is at the top of pay-per-view cards with misfits and with his own, that usually means, like a Connor McGregor effect, all the big names want to come up and fight on that card because, one, the pay is going to be higher, two, the eyes are going to be there,
Starting point is 00:22:25 the matchups are more intriguing that moment, that thing that built influencer boxing from the beginning and has stayed around for crossover boxing, that moment of all eyes on you. That happens when you have the star, the notoriety of somebody, the level of Andrew Tate, a KSI, a Connor McGregor, a Jake Paul, a Logan, all those things come flooding back into the scene.
Starting point is 00:22:45 So that's the video, man, that's the report. Allegedly, according to the mirror fighting, Andrew Tate will be making his debut on Misfits and his return to fighting after being retired for five years taking on Chase DeMore in Dubai, December 20th, and I want to know what you guys think. Are you pumped, frustrated, confused, excited? What do you think about Andrew Tate being on misfits? What do you think of this potential card?
Starting point is 00:23:12 Allegedly, again, from the mirror. Darren Till could be on this card. Miss Fitz putting a specific post out on Instagram about Gibb potentially coming back soon and talking about plans for him. Dean the Great making posts about a fight announcement. and commenting under all these leaked announcements. There's some things happening, some things are going on. I'm gonna get on this here phone and check out what I can find out for myself.
Starting point is 00:23:33 But I have no idea what to make any of this. I gotta admit though, if it's true, I'm pretty damn excited. The fight before Christmas, if this goes down, it would be one of the best, I think, misfits events to date. So is this real? Is this happening? I don't know, guys. I don't. I have no idea. But as we always do here at the Wade concept, we don't have answers. answers, but December 20th, live in Dubai, which is somewhat of an announcement in its own right,
Starting point is 00:24:01 in the Middle East, misfits comes back for the fight before Christmas. What happens then? Guess we'll find out. All right, folks, we are back on the way concept presented by the Ring magazine. And today, I just can't believe what I just saw in red. The sitting heavyweight world champion, undisputed, absolute monster of a fighter, Alexander Usik, one of my favorite fighters, In boxing, I'm prefacing what I'm about to tell you with telling you I love Alexander Usik. I think he is one of the best talents we've seen at Cruiser and heavyweight combined. He is right now the staple of heavyweight boxing and he's taken out all challengers to this point. But he just said something that really disappointed. He said something that I can't believe
Starting point is 00:24:45 he said. And now that he said it, I'm just, I'm questioning a little bit of what it is that's going on here with Alexander Usik as he was referring to the heavy. weight division, how long he's going to fight in the division, and he specifically named one of the best prospects at heavyweight right now in the world, Moses Atalma, and he said, I won't fight him. I'm not going to fight Moses Atalma. Not now. I'm not going to fight him ever. And to me, that's lame. What do I mean? The breakdown, let's go. All right, so here's the graphic. I'll Alexander. Hey, it's us, the Jonas brothers, and guess what? We have some big news. What's the news? Huge news. We created our own podcast.
Starting point is 00:25:26 called Hey Jonas. We invented a podcast? Well, we didn't invent it. We just contributed to it. We're the first people to do podcasts. Pretty, yeah, pretty wide range of podcasts throughout there. But this one's extra special. So how did we actually come up with a name, Hey Jonas, guys?
Starting point is 00:25:42 I honestly don't remember. I think it was on a call about what we should call it. Oh, we were thinking I'm originally calling it one of the early names of our band. Before Jonas Brothers. This is how you guys remember. Remember it going down? Yes. I have a very different memory of this.
Starting point is 00:25:59 We were talking about a thing, a bit for the podcast, where people could call in and say, Hey, Jonas. And then I wrote down on my little notepad, Hey Jonas, and offered it up as a potential title for the podcast. But thanks for remembering that, guys. Listen to Hey Jonas on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. Just listen.
Starting point is 00:26:17 We don't care where you hear it. Another podcast from some SNL late night comedy guy, not quite. Unhumor me with Robert Smygel and Friends. me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman help make you funnier. This week, my guest, SNL's Mikey Day and head writer Streeter Seidel help an a cappella band with their between songs banter.
Starting point is 00:26:38 Where does your group perform? We do some retirement homes. Those people are starving for banter. Listen to humor me with Robert Smigel and friends on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. The French Open is one of the toughest tests in tennis, and I know firsthand, because I,
Starting point is 00:26:55 competed there myself. I'm Renee Stubbs, and on the Renee Stubbs tennis podcast, I'm breaking down everything happening at Roland Garris. Every match, every upset, and what it really takes to win on Clay. Jen, she went. I mean, she went down to three to Rabakina, but I'm delighted. She's an outsider to win the French for me. And she likes Clay. Listen, Lina Rabakina is arguably the best player in the world right now, and I actually can win on any surface, because if she's serving, well, good luck. Consider this your court side seat to the French Open. Listen to the Renee Stubbs tennis podcast on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Starting point is 00:27:35 Presented by Capital One, founding partner of IHeart Women's Sports. What's up, fam? It's Isaiah Thomas. And I'm C.J. Toledano, and our podcast Point Game is about defying the odds. Like LeBron heading into the playoffs without Luca and Austin Reed. And finding ways to win no matter what. He's the smartest player to ever play the game. His IQ is at a level that we've never seen before. And he knows without Luca and Austin Reeves,
Starting point is 00:27:58 I got to manipulate the game. We get a player's perspective on the challenges of the playoffs. I think Joker's going to be exhausted this series because when they don't have Rudy in the lineup, he has to really guard guys like Nas Reid. He has to guard Julius Randall. And then he has to give us everything he gives us on the night-to-night basis on offense.
Starting point is 00:28:17 And when IT's friends stop by, like Quentin Richardson, we dive into some playoff history too. But get that thing. That man, hell get the flying. He running up the court, licking his fingers why he got the ball. Like, after you go through a training camp with that, Isaiah, you figure it out real quick.
Starting point is 00:28:33 Get your ass up and down the court, and you're going to get the ball. So listen to Point Game on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. Ussick, reported by the Ring Magazine. I don't know where this quote comes from, but he says, no, I won't fight at Talma. He's young, always teasing me.
Starting point is 00:28:52 he said himself, he doesn't hit grandpas. I'll fight until I'm 41, then I'll build a sports academy, I'll train there, and train others. What is that? For a guy in Alexander Usick that has fought, tooth and nail to get to heavyweight, had to fight his way through cruiserweight, had to fight his way into opportunities at the heavyweight division, and then won those fights, gave the rematches won those fights, and yes, before we even get into what I know this comment section is going to be, what did Moses Atalma do to deserve an Alexander Usik fight? I'm not saying right, now. Right now it should be Joseph Parker. Whatever injury, back injury that Alexander Usick's dealing with right now, hopefully he gets healthy. We have Parker Wardley coming up and, you know, that fights a
Starting point is 00:29:33 banger, but it should have been Joseph Parker even before the Dubois rematch. I'll be honest, that should have been Joseph Parker right then, right there. And yes, there's Cabiel out there as well. But what we're seeing Alexander Usik do, and I never thought I'd see him do this, is essentially rule out one fighter in the heavyweight division that he will not fight. Notice, again, I'm not talking about right now because no Moses Atama should not be fighting Alexander Usik right now he has not earned that right and again he's not even fought a top 10 guy there's things that Moses needs to do but right now usick is 38 years old his birthdays in January meaning by the time the world does three more laps around the sun and yes for you flat earthers the sun does not move around the earth moves around the sun
Starting point is 00:30:12 Alexander Usik will be 41 that'll be three more years or two and some change I guess of Moses at Talma gaining experience in the heavyweight division and surely. I mean, I think we all are in agreeance that at that point he'll have not only more experience, but he'll have fought tougher guys and be in position for a heavyweight world championship. Maybe the heavyweight world champion still being Ussic. Doesn't mean that Ussic can't fight Parker or Kabil, but I just don't want to see Usook Fury 3. I mean, honest, I don't really care to see Uc Joshua 3 or Uc du Bois we've seen what happens there. He's a better boxer than all three of them combined. And maybe not combined. I'm a little crazy.
Starting point is 00:30:47 But you get what I'm saying. It would be one thing if Alexander Usset came out and was like, listen, I don't want to fight for very much longer. I want one more fight. And I know that he had kind of teased that after the Dubois fight, but this is a completely different statement. And even after the Dubai fight, he was saying, you know, I'm just getting started or I've still got a lot left in me or whatever.
Starting point is 00:31:05 I'm paraphrasing, whatever he said. He's talking about two years in change still left in his career. And you notice he's not saying I won't fight Joseph Parker or I won't fight, you know, Kabiel. He's singling out Moses Atalma. I have to think that's because Moses Atalma, as a younger guy, you see kind of him mention it here. He's like, he said himself, he doesn't hit grandpas, he's young, he's always teasing me. Usik is a bit of a jokester, and he's always understood the meaning of taking tough fights and building big fights.
Starting point is 00:31:30 Like he has with Fury, Joshua, doing the character stuff, all of that. So it racks my brain to think why he wouldn't, if he's going to be in the sport for a couple more years, why he wouldn't take on what, in my opinion, will be the most challenging fighter at that time. It'll be Moses Atalma. I know that Moses skipped out on the IBF title eliminator. I get that. But I also saw that he was potentially going to step up for the WBA regular belt, which is an easier fight.
Starting point is 00:31:56 I get that. But the point being, that's how close Moses Atalma is already right now to potentially being a world title contender. Whether it's for the IBF, whether it's for the WBA, he's a couple of fights away from fighting for a belt. Maybe one fight away from fighting for a belt. And you're telling me he's not going to be at Ussik's level as far as worthy of a world championship in those two years?
Starting point is 00:32:17 That's bullshit. I don't believe that. At the least bit, I don't believe it. And for people that are going to come out and be like, well, Usick can do what he wants. He's earned that right. Sure, he can do what he wants. But when you say that and then you exclusively say, you're not going to fight the one guy that I believe in the heavyweight division
Starting point is 00:32:33 can actually challenge Usik for his belts. I'll be honest. I'm at that point now where I don't know. I don't think Joseph Parker is going to challenge Usik for those belts. I don't think Kabil is going to get those belts. There's one guy that I think realistically in the next year and a half to two years can get those belts off Ussik, and I think it's Moses Atalma. That's what I want to see.
Starting point is 00:32:52 I want to see the next big thing coming up and trying his hand. And I said the same thing in MMA with John Jones and the Tom Aspinall situation. Either you stay around long enough for that new guy to come up and take the belts, or you retire before it happens. And Ussk's kind of playing that middle ground where he'll fight other guys. Then again, those guys more deserving right now, that's fine. Fight your Joseph Parker's, fight your Cabell's. I'm fine with that, but don't automatically dismiss a potential fight with one of the bigger names
Starting point is 00:33:19 and one of the most talented heavyweight boxers I've seen in a while coming up. When inevitably he'll be in that position, why would you do that? Why would you immediately shut it down unless it was just simply that you didn't want any part of him? If you're Ussing, you want no part of Atama, which tells me that's the one guy he's not confident in beating right now. Or in two years. It's a very just disappointing situation because I'm, I was planning on. being hyped for that fight in a couple of years. I was planning on watching this story build between the greatest of this generation in Alexander Usik and potentially the best of the next generation,
Starting point is 00:33:53 him fighting his way to the top of the mountain, Usig there waiting on him and we had this ultimate showdown. That was what I was so pumped to see. And don't get me wrong, I'm pumped to see Parker give it a shot. He's had a run that's been insane to watch and he deserves his shot. Kabiel's same thing. But like this, ah, it just leaves a bad taste in my mouth. That makes me think of the problems that boxing has had for as long as it's had the problems of fighters not fighting the best at the time they are the best. Usik hasn't done that to this point. Usik has fought every best guy that he can. And maybe again, if you want to say he's deserved the right now to just call his shots and he's probably going to fight Joseph Parker. We'll see again if the back injury and whatever else,
Starting point is 00:34:30 he's probably going to fight Kabiel at one point. He's probably going to fight Fury for the third time. Meanwhile, you have this freaking monster in waiting in Moses of Talma. And again, I'm not saying he deserves the shot right now. I'm just saying it's a bad look, I feel like, for a champion, sitting champion, undisputed to sit there and go, yeah, I'm going to fight for a couple more years. And, you know, I'll be around to fight contenders. But I'm not going to fight that guy. I'm not going to fight him, the most hyped, potentially best of the younger generation heavyweight boxers that at that point will be, in my opinion,
Starting point is 00:35:03 and I think many others at world level. I won't fight him. Everybody else but him. It just rubbed me the wrong way seeing this today from Alexander Usik. And I don't know if he's joking. I don't know if maybe this is out of context. But I didn't see anywhere where he said, I won't fight him right now. I didn't see anywhere where he said, you know, let the guy win some fights and then we'll see. He just flat out said, I'm not going to fight him.
Starting point is 00:35:23 And I don't understand that. I think that is a misstep for Usik. If he got to the point where Atalma was at World Title Contention and he was 41 and decided not to fight him then, again, I would have some grace for that because you know what? I'm 41 years old. My body's not there. This guy is a younger, faster, more explosive guy than me right now,
Starting point is 00:35:40 and it doesn't make any sense for me to go in there and just risk my legacy. That makes sense, but to do it right now, while you're still willing to take fight and defend your heavyweight championship, essentially just calling your shot to be like, I won't be ready when he's ready. Maybe there's some honesty in that,
Starting point is 00:35:55 but it just, I don't know. It leaves a sour taste in my mouth. It makes me feel like that's the one fight he's not confident in and the one fight that he'll avoid. And I never thought I would say Usik would avoid fighting someone. Genuinely, and I'm saying it now because he's saying,
Starting point is 00:36:08 we're not even at the point where you can call it ducking because I don't think Moses Atama is ready for a heavyweight title fight. He hasn't earned that right yet. But I don't know. This just didn't feel right. It felt like Usik, again, was just shutting down a potential massive fight or a potential huge, huge opportunity for just the sake of doing it. And again, all it tells me is that he wants no part of Moses Atalma.
Starting point is 00:36:29 I'm saying he's scared. I'm just saying he sees what's coming on the horizon and this young, speedy, technical, quick, powerful heavyweight is the one guy he wants no part of. Is the one guy maybe in the back of his mind? He goes, yeah, that guy can beat me. Not only right now, potentially, but definitely in a couple of years. Take that for how you will, but I'm just, I'm looking at this and going, man, never thought I'd say Alexander Usik would avoid somebody purposely and do it two years ahead of time.
Starting point is 00:36:57 He's earned the right to fight the guys he wants to fight, but I just, I thought this was super, super lame. But hey, maybe I'm wrong. You guys let me know in the comments. It's people on Twitter have already told me. I'm crazy for this take, but does this not rub anybody else the wrong way? Usik, while on top of the mountain looking down and going, okay, I'll fight that guy, I'll fight that guy. Hey, that guy that's probably better than everyone else, I don't want any part of him.
Starting point is 00:37:17 No shot. Doesn't matter if it's right now or two years from now. I'm going to fight for a couple more years, but under no circumstance, am I fighting that guy? To me, that sucks. And from Alexander Usik, I never thought I'd see that. So, you guys let me know what you think. What in the world is this statement? taking this too out of context? Is there something I'm missing? Or is Alexander Usik really not going
Starting point is 00:37:40 to fight Moses Atama? Is he really, I don't want to say afraid or scared, but worried about what this young heavyweight will be and how he would fare against him? I don't have those answers, but Usik apparently does, as he's flat out saying, he won't fight Moses Atama. I think that's a mistake, but I guess we'll find out. Hey guys, it's us and the Jonas brothers. I'm Joe. I'm Kevin. And I'm Nick. And guess what? We created our own podcast called Hey Jonas. We invented a podcast? Well, we didn't invent it.
