I'm, of course, talking about Jake Paul versus Tank Davis on Netflix Friday, November 14. This fight has already had some controversy attached to it before we even got to today's first press conference. For example, the fight was supposed to take place in Atlanta, Georgia at the state farm arena. That has since changed. It's now Miami, Florida. And to quote, the Georgia State Athletic Commission head, Rick Thompson, he said, and I quote, I believe it's in the public's interest to know because they've been promoting something they should not have. This is the dumbest shit I've ever heard.

It's a money grabber, and I'm not okay with that. That is the reason Jake Paul versus Tank Davis moved from Georgia to Florida. And if that controversy wasn't enough, now we have even more. in the first press conference between the two. Because not only in my opinion did it not deliver, this press conference made you ask why we're even doing this fight. What do I mean? The breakdown, let's go. He's got a fur coat on. I'm not sure if that's Mink. wouldn't know if it was. He's also carrying a MERS. That's right. That's a man purse. He rocks one of those everywhere he goes. Listen, is there any point other than to match the outfit? What's

inside the purse? Is there more money? What's he using the money for? We're at a boxing press conference. What's he trying to pay for? I have no idea. Is it symbolism for he's got this in the bag? Who knows? He hails from Baltimore, Maryland. He is Gervante. Tank Davis. There he is. Tank coming out. There he is, making his way to the stage. Hank Davis. And it's almost certain that that chair's too tall, his feet will dangle off of it.

I'm definitely excited. You know, I think it's going to be good. You know, he's been in a gym, and he's been boxing for a little minute now, so he's been taking it serious. So we just got to see what, what he bring come. My man, smile is crazy.

I just saw that, dude. This man is cheesy. When we fighting? November 14. He's stupid as fuck. I got a number of questions for both of you. What was that? All right, man.

A couple things. Number one, Tank didn't even know the day they were supposed to fight. It's plastered all over the wall behind him, on the podium, on Twitter, on social media. It's right here in front of his face if he would just look to his left. How does this man who is one half of the main event not know when the fuck he's fighting? And by that same token, how are we the fans expected to think? that Tank is locked into this when he doesn't even know when the fight date is, bro. Again, I know it's something very minor and he maybe just forgot,

but it's not the greatest kickoff to this press conference. It's like a car stuck in neutral as you're slamming on the gas, you're starting slow and you're not fully engaged or in gear. And then something interesting happens. Jake is like already starting to troll, or he's trying to get in the mind of Giovante right away by being like, ah ha ha, look, he's dumb as fuck, right? He's trying to get Jervante riled up,

which I think is the best, thing Jake can do. Jake can play the villain throughout this buildup and I think he desperately needs to to get Gervante to react and show some emotion and actually look like he gives a fuck about this. That's the role Jake needs to play. Honestly, I don't think he did it enough in this presser, but we'll see. Let me bring to the stage and to this podium. Most valuable promotions co-founder. He's also the CEO, Nikisa Baddarian. Nekisa gets walkout music. I'm dead. And yes, ladies and gentlemen, there will be a a victor because the fighters have agreed and the commission has approved a maximum weight of

195 pounds for this exhibition the fight will be contested over 10 three-minute rounds the fight is a hundred ninety five pounds tank as you know okay so something very interesting there i want i don't know if you guys heard it but it was also caught on a separate camera nekisa is going through the the the rules he says the fight will be contested at a maxes. minimum weight of a hundred and ninety five pounds tank gets up and says y'all said it was a hundred and ninety listen at this the fight will be contested over ten three-minute rounds the fight is a hundred ninety five pounds tank as you know so yeah i don't know if tank was trolling there or not he probably is because you just kind of sits down real quick but i'm yeah one ninety five is what they said the

first time it is interesting though that tank immediately got up and said it was 190 y'all said it was 190. I can't tell if he's trolling or not. But regardless, 1.95. Jake, I'll start with you. You certainly built your career on taking tough challenges. That's funny. Now you're facing tank. Probably one of the most explosive punchers in the sport of boxing.

What do you see is your biggest advantage going into this fight? Yeah, I would say a lot of things. But I think first and foremost is going to just be my reach, size, being able to keep him away. I think there's a lot of holes in his defense that a lot of people haven't exposed before. And he's a great fighter, one of the best. I'm excited. He's elevating me to a new height. He's making me push myself to my limits. I'm more locked in than ever. But at the end of the day, I know I'm going to be able to come out on top and outbox the guy who's been doing it for seven times as long as me. Jake just said that Tank has been boxing for seven

times as long as Jake has been boxing. They started out this press conference by saying Jake started boxing five years ago. So seven times five is 35. Tank is what? 30? We always knew that math was not Jake's strong suit. I'm a fellow college dropout,

but the math ain't mathing. Obviously, toughest test that you face to this point. You beat an undefeated world chance. Why are we saying that, though? Like, skill-wise is tank better than anyone Jake has fought skill-wise in boxing? Yes, but when we're saying toughest test, this is an exhibition fight. This is not a test of Jake as a professional boxer. It's not even

in his weight class. The toughest test Jake has had to this day and will remain his toughest test until either he rematches or fights someone of a similar level at the weight class is Tommy Fury. I just don't, you can't say that. You can't say this is Jake's toughest test. You can't do that. Is this the fight where folks, especially in the boxing community, have to say, Jake Paul deserves to be at the elite level. No, they'll never give me credit until I have the world championship belt, but that's okay. It doesn't matter.

You know, but belts collect dust. And what I've done in the sport is unprecedented. Never will be replicated and done it in such a short amount of time. Just getting warmed up, they're not going to give me credit. But I don't need the credit from these bozos, to be honest, the credits in my bank account. Oh, Bart, well, credit in the bank account, you get debited the money in your bank account credits when the money comes out. Regardless, here's the thing. That question is erroneous. Asking Jake, if you beat Tank in an exhibition, are you with the elite level in boxing? The answer is no.

Is Jake an elite level name in boxing? The answer is absa-fucking looting. He is. You may not like that, but he's one of the biggest names, if not the biggest name in the sport that's currently fighting and is not Mike Tyson. Let's be honest about it, right? If they go out and do better numbers than Terrence Crawford and Canelo Alvarez, then he's probably the biggest name in the sport. But that does not make him an elite fighter even sport.

Even if he was to go out, knock tank out. It doesn't make him elite. And I don't mean that to sound harsh. It's just, again, weight classes matter. They do. You just can't put him in the elite of his weight class for knocking out the elite of a weight class 10 spots down. Taint?

I'll start with you. I guess a number of people will say why Jake Paul as opposed to a rematch with Lamont Roach? There's only one answer to this question and it's probably what is in the man purse that Gervante also brought to the stage. It's money.

That is the only reason he would do this fight over Lamont Roach or retirement. He is getting paid a shit ton of money. Let's see if he answers it, but that is the only reason. I don't want to pay a lot out there, but it's just, you know, doing what's best for me and was right for me. And I've been doing this for a little minute now. You know, I've been doing it for since I was seven years old. You know, so this is the first camp I can, like, you know, enjoy myself and be back myself.

Like, even leading up to, like, the, um, the rematch of the Roach fight. It was more so like, I don't want to get too much in it, but November 14th, you got Jake Paul and me. I think it's gonna be a great event. Every time I fight is fireworks. Jake Paul coming in, you know, he's much bigger, he's much stronger.

Boxing wins come November. in the 14th. You know, it's not just me, me and Jake on a fight. It's a whole card and we're just giving boxing with a knee and that's excitement. I'll tell you something. That answer did not excite me at all. Now, okay, number one, tank is right. There are going to be a lot of boxers on the undercard. They get a lot of shine from this and that is good for the sport. In fact, just eyes on boxing in general is something Jake has done very, very well for the sport. And you can't take that away from. He has brought a ton of new eyes to this. sport. That's something that I think people should value Jake and Tank more than what they do.

I just wish you would have said, I did this because it's going to make me a ton of money, and that's what I honestly care more about in this sport. Because it's the honest truth. He doesn't care, which he'll, I mean, flat out tell you sometimes he doesn't care about his championship belt. Doesn't even care about his legacy. He cares about making money for himself and his family. And again, there's nothing wrong with that. Just be honest about it. Just say what it is, because that is what this fight is. And we all know it. Again, as long as you would, admit that as long as you go into this fight with that preconceived notion of what exactly is going on here i don't have any problem with an exhibition or two guys are going to make a shit ton of money

does it mean anything no does it mean anything for jake's legacy for tank's legacy honestly unless either of them get knocked out cold no fact it probably hurts tanks legacy more if that were to happen but for jake no doesn't make them better in their given weight classes it is a one-off entertainment bout and that's okay just say what it is you've talked to too a lot about leaving a lasting legacy in the sport of boxing. You beat Tank Davis. Do you believe you've basically cemented yourself as one of the best in the sport? What?

Hell no. No, not yet. I'm just getting warmed up, but this will certainly shut up a lot more people. Each fight has done that so far. Only five years as a pro. And it feels like the last fight I had was the end of chapter one. This is the beginning of chapter 2, and I'm only 28 years old. I have a lot more to prove.

Once I beat this guy, more people will shut up, but at the end of the day, I'm really still just getting warmed up in the sport. And I'm going to show how good I am. You know, this is a top 10 pound-for-pound fighter that I'm going to outbox. And truly, when people run back this press conference, all the shit talk, all the fun, they're going to be like, wow, this kid really is doing something monumental in the sport. and he's actually insane boxer, and I'm going to show that this guy who's been doing it his whole life has been doing it wrong his whole life. Would you say, Tank?

He's a guy going to outbox me. Whoopty-do. First off, at least Jake can acknowledge the fact that beating Tank does not make him one of the best in the world. I respect that. But you hear him throwing around that pound for pound, and I heard it earlier in the press or two, Tank is a top 10 pound for pound guy.

Why are we using that qualifier? Explain that to me. For those that are watching at home, they are calling Tank a top 10 pound for pound because they can't say that Tank is a top 10 at Jake's weight class because he doesn't fight at that weight class. The reason we have pound for pound in general is to fantasize about who would be the best boxer

if they were all the same weight. Reality states that Terrence Crawford is not going to be Alexander Usik because Terrence Crawford is 168 pounds now, and Alexander Usuk's a heavyweight. So even if the skills are there, even if he's better skillfully, then Usik, the weight, determines

Usik is going to hurt him badly. That doesn't tell us anything. That tells us when two elite guys get together, the bigger man wins. Shout out to Jake Paul for, you know, coming with me and making this event happen and his team and, what is? MP promotions, Netflix, Al Heyman, everybody.

Turns out he can't read just like Floyd. Oh, MVP. Jesus. You got a champ. I'm not worrying about that. Got a champ. People talk all day. That's what Jake needs to do more.

Go after him. First off, again, Tang didn't know the fight date, didn't know who Nekisa was, and he called Jake's promotion MP. Money, please, promotion. I'm supposed to believe that Tank gives a shit. honestly I'm supposed to believe that after he just comes up here and has no idea what the fuck's going on but I honestly that's the Jake I need to see as disrespectful as it is talking about he can't read fuck it it's the fight game say some things that are going to rile tank up a little bit Jake how you

win this fight just showing up honestly uh yeah just I'm gonna knock him out you know he has a lot of a lot of flaws in his defense and I'm gonna expose him you know look what a 135 Lomontroach did to him and it's just going to be so much fun for me. I'm so glad that God gave me this moment. I'm Giovante. What did he do? What did he do? What did he do?

This is carmic retribution. Carmic retribution. All right, bro. Number one, we know Jake is not a Rhodes Scholar, so he had that one in the back pocket ready. That was a one-liner he had ready. Either that, or my man has been doing hooked-on phonics, and that was word of the day or phrase of the day,

because where the hell does carmic retribution come from? Number two, this is an interesting thing that will happen in this fight. Jake has always said when speaking about fights with Tank, Canello, these smaller guys that look what so-and-so who was your size did to you, this is what I'm going to do. But in that same respect, Jake hasn't knocked anybody out in a while now. The last guy he knocked out was Mike Perry. Obviously Mike Perry, not the greatest boxer in the world. But if Jake can hit Tank cleanly, yes, I agree that he can do some real damage.

But I'm just saying, it takes a lot of practice to punch down on someone, especially when you're not used to being the super tall guy and Jake's only 6'1. I'm curious, Tate, when you walk into the ring, how much you think you'll weigh? When I walk in the ring? Like 150. With her without the ankle monitor on.

Ooh. I probably, that's corny. That's super corny. Tank is so sassy. Super corny. I probably, I don't know how much I'll wait. And the handcuffs too. Huh?

What are you talking about, fam? How do you win this fight? That outfit is trash. For real. That outfit is garbage. See, like, how easy it was for Jake to get under his skin, just rattle him a little bit? That's all he needs to do. Just little stuff.

Now, again, he's going after the obvious elephant in the room, and I'm not talking about the great elephant, Jake Paul, who struggles to be knocked down or whatever. I mean, the fact that Giovante Davis was just recently arrested. on a domestic violence charge. I actually don't know if the charges were dropped or what happened there. But, you know, Tank has had some trouble with the law. Especially, you know, throughout his career, but especially recently.

And all it took was Jake to bring it up, whether you think that's over the line or not, it's what Jake need, maybe not that far, but he needs to be a villain. He needs to do things that are going to make Tank uncomfortable and get him out of his skin. Anybody that ever rocked the Mohawk is a fucking clown. We all know this.

Anybody rocked the mok. Name me. You want to see clowns? Oh, no, dude. You want to see clowns? No. I mean, I asked for entertainment, but, I mean, we said it was the circus. We did say it was a circus fight.

And Jake Paul, I guess they were these two guys that are dressed up like clowns. I guess they were queued to come on stage if Jervante ever said the word clown. So here they come. Dervante, you're the fucking clown, buddy. You're the fucking clown, Jervante. Any man who puts his hands on a woman is the clown. I got you a poodle now now now okay now since we on this if I just dropped a fucking balloon in there out I'm surprised that guy got that close to Javonte but yeah

if I picked my hands on females yeah anything like that right if I put my eyes on about fucking fine you know I mean female like come on it will be mad you see how when when I don't even want to bring up nobody thing I know what's name about that but no no no no no no no no you know what we no you know what we know what we get it right now is not the time to proclaim innocence especially when you know public speaking maybe not your strong suit and especially not when you lead off with p ditty maybe we just let this would go you know maybe maybe we just kind of i didn't do it and we move on type of thing if that's true i don't know alleged but whatever you got to say let's you know let's wrap it up because

the longer this goes the worst it's gonna get like that no listen When things, when one female did a charge, it was mad females coming out, right? So if I hit a female, right, wanting to be mad other females, like I've been, I ain't been just with one female. Like, I'm 30 years old. Like, let's be real. I've been with more than one female. Wouldn't mad females come out and say something about me hitting them? No.

Not a great response Not really a great response to be like Yeah one girl said I committed domestic abuse Well I fuck bitches So now what Not everyone said that So clearly I'm innocent in all case I don't know if that's the response

I'm not laughing at domestic abuse It's very unfortunate and a horrible, horrible thing for any, you know, anyone to do. Just reprehensible. And as far as Jervante's situation goes, I genuinely don't know if the charges were dropped, if it's still under investigation, I have no idea. But he should probably stop talking about it

because that's not, that was, that's awful. Oliver Salt for Daily Mout. Javonte, a lot of boxing fans aren't happy with the fact you've taken this fight rather than the rote rematch, fights with the likes of Shakur, Devin Haney, Tiafema, et cetera. What do you make of that reaction? Can we still expect to see those fights?

Why should I care? What they think? When y'all switch, y'all switch every, somebody can have a bad day and y'all switching on who your favorite fighter is or who this person is supposed to fight. Like, y'all need to sit back and be fans

and just enjoy the sport. Y'all, y'all even talk about people' personal lives. Like, why, when they come to this? it. I'm not sure what that response meant from tank there. The guy asked, I mean, listen, valid question. Like, what do you say to people that would rather see? And he's, he's talking about Javante's own fans, to be fair. What would you say to those people that want to see you fight legitimate world championship fights? And Javante's like, shut up and be a fan. No, but he's like, you know, you guys shit on fighters. And he's saying, you guys, I don't think he means this guy. I think he means

the fans. You guys shit on fighters after bad performances. So why would I care what you think? Well, I mean, There's something to be said for, like, fans being very fickle in sports. That's true. That's a real thing. But that's just the nature of sports. Every Sunday, a quarterback goes out. They could have 10 straight great games. But if they throw four picks, all of a sudden, they are trash.

Can we still expect to see any of those fights in the future, though? And y'all keep talking about fighting somebody. Then he just have a fight? Then he just had a fight. And what happened? What happened? What happened? He won, right?

But how, how are you? look in it exactly but but y'all say some some different shit what it's when it's me right because y'all want me to lose when it is when y'all see people in that that's that lime light too long they want to take that that they want somebody else to you know come take that spot that's why it's always like come on bro that that's what happened with floyd that y'all seen him too much and once you're seeing him so much y'all start hating on it like it turned from love to hate you know next Again, for a guy in Tang Davis who says he doesn't care what fans think, he sure does care a lot about what fans think,

which is obviously, that's most fighters, that's most athletes. They'll say, ah, you know, it don't matter to me. Who cares what they think? Deep down inside, yeah, Tank clearly cares. Which is, again, why I don't understand why he won't just say what it is. If he didn't care, he would just say, I'm taking his fight for money. If he cares, then go fight the guy and prove it. Tank, so obviously, you know, you're fighting Jake,

and this is the fight that's in front of you. That's what you focused on now. But I gotta ask you, he's a bigger dude. You acknowledge that. He's stronger. He's got the size advantage. Let's say he would have knock you out. Do you think that impacts your legacy or even lose?

Just a lost to Jake Paul. What kind of impact do you think that that has on your legacy? I'm not really, I'm not sure. I'm not really big on it. I don't really like care at this moment. Bro! This is what I'm talking about when I said this press conference got weird. KG asks a great question.

How would this affect your legacy? Tank doesn't want to say he doesn't even care. But he kind of says it. He's like, I don't know. I don't care at this moment. All he's playing with the fucking balloon animal. It shows you why he's doing this fight, but it also doesn't give you confidence

that he even cares about doing this fight. So you're not concerned that a loss to Jake Paul would mean anything to you at all? It doesn't stop anything? My shit off. Got you. He gonna still have his poodle after the loss. Why should I?

He says, why should I care? That's not for us to tell Tank, you know? This is, I mean, I kind of thought this is how this is going to go that Tank would just show up super nonchalant, but like, this is even worse to me than I thought. When Tank is up there going, why should I care if I get beat? I don't know because you're supposed to convince us this is competition. And in competition, you want to win, therefore care if you win or lose.

Even if it's an exhibition, what are you supposed to be selling us on? If you don't even care, if you win or lose the thing. We're all just supposed to go, hell yeah, I'm watching that so Tank can get paid and maybe try. I'm not saying that's what's going to happen on fight night. I don't even think. I know because it gets people talking. And the more they talk, whether it's positive or negative, the more they are likely to return. The more his name stays relevant, the more these type of events continue to get bigger. So while Jake can act like he's tired of it,

he continues to do these events so that he will get these kind of questions and have to go and create, or have a narrative to work and frame off of it. I think it's genius. For each of y'all, state your case for being the face of boxing. Did you work? Nobody's answering this, dude.

You don't want to look uninterested in your own fight. Regardless of the surrounding parameters of it, you want to have some fire. You want to have people see why we should care about this thing.

And that press conference to me, it didn't feel like either guy really cared too much. It didn't feel like either guy really was jazzed up and energized about this being, you know, once in a life time. Whatever, right? When we had the Jake and Mike press conferences, those things felt like a massive deal. Even when Mike was grabbing on his crotch and fucking slapping Jake in the face, like that felt like something.

There was some energy there, you know? So I need to see more from both guys. I mean, Tank clearly is there to get paid. Jake, it seems like, actually is going to take this seriously and try his best, but I need to see more. These are supposed to be the two faces of boxing. I don't care what Tank thinks about whether he is or not. Promote this thing. Give us something.

The tanks show up like he actually wanted to be there and not like he was being forced at gunpoint. Is Jake gonna be the villain which he needs to be in this thing? Are we gonna get any reason remotely to watch this? Any bad blood?

But you know in this sport, we always say there are levels to this thing. Is this fight another one of those examples where you say, my man, now you're fighting one of the sports pound for pound best and one of the best to ever do it and there's levels to this sport?

I mean, um... Do you say Tank was one of the best to ever do it? All right, here we go again with this. We can't be calling Tank the goat. We can't do that, all right? He is, in my opinion, one of the more talented boxers and has the ability of someone that could have been an all-time great, had he taken a different route, but we can't do that.

Yeah, this is the toughest fight for me from an experience standpoint. I know he's in his prime, you know, 30 and O or whatever it is, undefeated, top 10, pound-for-pound fighter. I respect Tank a lot, and that's why I'm excited. He's going to bring the best out of me, and I have to be prepared. I have to be the most locked-in I've ever been, and that's what makes this a massive fight.

So much is at stake because we're young, and we're just on the tip and the brink of our careers and coming into greatness and our primes, like you said. And so the loser of this fight is going to be the embarrassment of the world. Their fan base is going to be let down, and everyone's going to see that, and it could be a career-ending loss, and that's what makes this exciting.

Well, it's not considered a loss, to anyone because this is an exhibition. Let's not forget. This is an exhibition. But yeah, I mean, I kind of agree if Jake, and I would only say by knockout, if Jake gets knocked out by Tank Davis, this would be a devastating mark on his career. No doubt about it. If Tank, or to get knocked out by Jake, it would be a devastating mark on his career. But if we have like a judge's decision in exhibition, which I didn't even know was possible until yesterday, the Kesa said there's going to be a judge's decision. All right, that's probably what's going to happen. They could get judges to actually judge this thing, end up in some sort of a draw,

and both guys get their hand raised in an exhibition like they would have without judges. I don't know. But if this is like a judge's decision thing, I don't think anyone's stock necessarily goes up or goes down. Again, I have said what I think this fight's going to look like. I think it's going to be very difficult for Jake to hit tank clean. If he does, fight changes. I think it's going to be very difficult for tank. I think they're saying 12 ounce gloves for tank to hurt Jay, especially early on. Maybe he can accumulate damage and Jake gets a little tired and then later in the fight something happens. But I just don't know. I think we're probably going to get one of those stalemate Floyd Logan-esque fights where early on,

these guys are a lot more sharp, a lot more quick, a lot more technique from Jake than Logan had and a lot more spite from Tank than Floyd had. But after a bit, I think it's going to be a bit of a stalemate, clinching a lot and not a ton of action. Tank along those lines, listen to what he just said. Do you feel any pressure at all? only because you're so good and yet you're fighting this guy who's relatively new to the sport And I'm sure there are a number of people millions are gonna be watching gonna be expected a knockout Yeah, I feel like it's no pressure on me you know

And everyone knows it's like, I'm going to bullshit, because Jervantes is 135 pounds. But now the boxing fandom is riled up. Now they're intrigued.

Now they want to go and get their savior, whoever's going to be Anthony Joshua, Canello, whoever to go and stop this man and knock him, out in this show permanently. And that is what drives viewership. Even the casual fans would do that. So, yeah, if he actually did have some viral knockout, that would be insane. You know that? Just excitement.

It'll help with that. But Tank is used to fighting in eights anyway, so it's an heavier glove regardless. But Jake fights in tens, and he hits harder. Again, I think it's going to be very difficult for Jake to land flush. But if he does. And he lands directly on the freaking front knuckle of that glove? 10 ounces is not a lot.

Very interesting part. The only like breakdown worthy interaction that they've had, honestly, even the verbal stuff, is this right here. Jake goes to try to give Tank a little shove back, a little jab kind of shove. But Tank, yeah, he gets touched with it, but he's quick, pull that shoulder back. You know what I'm saying? He's quick to pull that shoulder back.

I just don't know if he could get to that reach, man. That's the biggest question. From that spot right there, could a left hand rain through on the back side? Because Tank is absolutely going to look to throw that left hand if Jake over extends on his jab. Southpott Orthodox matchup, left hand down the pipe. You can even see here, I'm not even trying to do the whole body language breakdown, But you could even see Tank could get under that left hand because he's five nothing. He could roll under that left hand and here comes the brick hand over the top.

If he lands something like that in 10 ounces, I'm going to tell you this. Jake's 200 and something pounds. That's still going to hurt at the very least. And who knows what? Because tank's got ridiculous power. So Jake, a little sloppy on the push there. He got a little, he got pushed. He wanted to get it back.

There's something to be taken away from that. But lines up perfectly for a counter left hand. You even see his promoter here is kind of grabbing his left hand because Tank wanted to let it, let it fly. And Jake backed up a little bit. He said, oh, and Tank comes from that. Tank, man. Listen, takeaways from this thing. I don't know. Tank seemed to have a little bit more energy today. He seemed to be more lively. Him going back and forth with the media with Jay Leon, with Jake, with Aiden Ross. There seemed to be a bit more energy today. That's all I really asked for So in terms of you know

The 10 ounce gloves Doesn't really change anything to me I mean again I think that's a bad idea for Tank More so because even if Jake doesn't land clean Those are 10 ounce gloves still gonna hurt Tank is still punching in gloves that are two ounces heavier than he normally uses, so I don't know how that's a win for him. The $2 million bet almost certainly won't happen,

which I didn't think would in the first place, but Tank pretty much confirmed it. And we're all left with the same kind of idea that we thought about this to begin with. This is an entertainment exhibition circus style fight that we know is going to draw a ton of eyeballs. I'm going to watch. And there's going to be great high-level competition boxing

on the underneath card. And even in the main event, if something is to happen, if someone is to get knocked out, it will go mega viral, and both these guys are going to make a shit ton of money. But the one takeaway I would have, if anything at all, was watching that little push back and forth with Tank and Jake. How Tank was able to keep his ground when Jake came to push him back and came to touch him with that jab and over-extended just a little bit on that jab. And while Tank's arm was being held, he was still right in line for that counter left hand

to snap back. And I think was within range to do it. One of the questions that you will have as we get closer to this fight is, can Tank find ways to close the gap? And I think, I mean in distance to catch Jake with the brick hand, the back hand, that left freaking grenade he puts on everyone. Watching that little interaction and knowing the skill level of tank and knowing his timing and knowing his feet and knowing his accuracy for a guy that doesn't throw a lot of punches, I think he just might be able to. And if he's able to knock Jake fall out, that would also be absolutely fucking crazy.

One for the history books in the sport of boxing pertaining to Dravante Tank Davis and Shakur Stevenson. I have been watching this somewhat casually, but it's been a back-of-eastern. and forth based on the fight with Jake Paul, Tank potentially wanting to retire, and

Shakur Stevenson essentially saying, yeah, bro, you don't want to fight me. It's been heated, and Tank apparently has deleted his Twitter account and then remade it public, then deleted all his replies. So we have to talk about this whole thing. What is going on between Tank Davis and Shakur Stevenson? Is this a buildup to a fight that we're not seeing behind the scenes, or is this just truly tank going outside? The breakdown, let's go. There's the first tweet, and we can't even click on it to zoom in on it

because of like tank deleting his shit. Watch, gone. That's insane. Anyway, it started out this morning, he said boxing definitely did a turn and went from this side to that side with the sunglasses and motion. And this shit has no loyalty,

so why would I care? I move accordingly. Ooh, that's kind of a bar. Boxing is dead. This is Jervante Davis who was about to fight in less than a month declaring boxing the sport of boxing dead and i don't know what the the innuendo is there it went from this side to that side shit has no loyalty so why would i care there could be a couple of

things uh that he's referring could he be referring to i don't know people switching sides could he be referring to formerly being with floyd mayweather and mayweather promotions to then being specifically with alhaman pbc and and lard ellerby could he be referring to the rise of of turkey ala shake in boxing we know that tank and turkey have not had a great relationship Remember all the way back, Tank was saying, you get me two Ferraris, I'll come fight over there. But if Tank is talking about boxing being dead, look no further to who potentially is contributing to that in the sense that he's talking about, than him. And again, I don't mind Tank fighting Jake just as long as he retires after this is done,

which he might actually do. But he's a sitting world champion. Talking about boxing's dead, boxing's dead when a sitting world champion is doing an exhibition whilst being a world champion, not giving his belt back, not saying essentially I'm done at the highest level, but just holding on to his belt, which again, that's also on the sanctioning body, the WBA just being like, yeah, go do whatever, but foregoing matchups with Lamont Roach in the rematch, which should have happened. That should have been the number one fight. Foregoing a matchup with Shakur Stevenson, even after the Jake fight, now we're learning

that's probably not going to happen. If boxing is dying or boxing is dead, it is because you as a sitting world champion took a fight with Jake Paul in an exhibition. Stuff like that is what kills boxing. That's what it, that's what does. And again, I'm not sitting here blaming anybody, but world champions are meant to fight world championship level fights. Not forego their world championship, hold on to the belt and go fight in an exhibition and then retire. I just don't know what these things are responding to now. Devante responded to a tweet of Shakur Stevenson. I don't know what the tweet was.

But he said, how much you make into fight Tio? Like I said, you was hurt and you know I know that's why you in my mentions right now. I know what I did to you when we sparred and you know how good or excuse me and you know how you will feel if I said I would give you a payday, but I'm turning my back, get it out the mud, I assume that says pussy. So, Gervante, I assume is referring to the Williams Zepeda fight, where Chacore was, quote unquote, hurt. Number one, Chacore was not hurt in the Williams-Zepeda fight. Chacore got hit with a shot from Williams-A-Peta and his, I think he got either stepped on or his foot slipped and he kind of fell backward a little bit, but he was not hurt in that fight.

He got hit with a punch, for sure. It's boxing. If you swim, you're going to get wet. And he did have a different fight with Zepeda than a lot of people. people expected. He kind of took it to Zepeda or at least stood in the pocket with him a lot more than people expected. But Gervante is like, oh, you know what happened to you in sparring and you did get hurt. Okay. That's why he what? Doesn't want to fight Gervante? Then he says how much you make into fight Tio. And then this is again, this is how you know that Tank doesn't give a fuck about the sport of boxing or anything to do with, you know, boxing being alive or dead. The first thing he mentions is how much you make. Like let's go ban for ban on what you make it. Again,

there's nothing wrong with Tank going to get his money, but let's all be clear that that's all the fight is for Tank. He's telling you without telling you that he's fighting Jake just because he's getting 40 million. So when we talk about boxing being dead, Tank has to line up at the front of the line. I can't blame him, but don't throw around all boxing's dead and people switch sides and all of that. You chose not to be great. That's it. You chose not to be great. Stuff like that, choices like that will kill boxing. For sure. On a competitive level, it won't kill it on a business level. On a business level, until people run out of interest in these kind of matchups, it'll do well. On a competitive level, choosing not to fight the best,

kill the sport. So maybe it's better if people like Tank aren't in the sport. And I don't even say that because I want that to be the case. I think Tank is ridiculously talented, but you can't want a fighter to fight more than what they want to. You can't. Tank fans or people that like Tank and think he's one of the best, you can't want it for it. And then Shakur came back with, that's how I know you soft. I can't even go back and forth with you soft ass. You rather pop to me on social media than get in that fire and get embarrassed. I get it. Peace and blessings upon you because. He says the people got your chest out so bad. You talking like you a killer, forgetting that you're the one that runs, bitch.

I'll be bring the fight to you. This dude, a made up character. Quote, blessings upon you. Clown-ass dude, want to be Kevin Gates? Oh, my goodness. I mean, here's the thing, though. You can't say that stuff about Shakur if you're not willing to fight him. This is the point I think that we're going to come to today,

is that Tank can say all this stuff he wants, but if you're not willing to fight Shakur, then none of it means anything anymore. Even if you believe that Tank is going to knock him out, even if you believe that Shakur's a runner, or that he's not in the trenches, or he's not a boxer that's willing to bring the fight or whatever. None of it matters. You're talking from the sideline, because you won't fight him. What does that say about Tank? If you talk all that stuff, you better want to fight.

Otherwise, no one, what does it matter, his opinion on calling him a runner this and that? You have an opportunity to show the world what he is. You have an opportunity to show the world Shakur is not on your level. Shakur would run from you. Shakur would lose. You'd beat him up like you did in sparring, but you're not taking that fight. Unless this is some big work and I'm getting caught in it This is tank bowing out of the fight in real time

Does anybody else not see this? This is him bowing out Shakur says you took a knee in the middle of your last fight like a fucking amateur talking about you got grease in your eyes Because the fight was getting tough then you got on here crying about people being fake but you the fakeest dude in boxing What happened to a six what happened to your six seven fight deal? Wait is that some kind of some kind of Gen Z six seven thing? What happened to the six seven fight deal? I don't know if that's a that's a reference point there that I'm missing But I assume that is in response to tank Thanks deal with the PBC. But yeah, now we're talking about Tank. If you want to talk about someone getting dropped or got hurt,

he's talking about Shakur getting hurt versus William Sabato, which he did it. Tank is the one that took a knee in this fight versus Lamont Roach. Heard or not. He's the one that had to take a break. He's the one that took the knee and ran to the corner talking about I got grease in my eye. Again, you can say what you want about Shakur, but Shakur shows up. Shakur's taking tough fight. Shakur says, I want Tiafimo Lopez.

Tank said he wanted Tiafimo, but we never got that fight. Tank said he'd smoke Shakur, but we never got that fight. And it's starting to become clear as to why we're not getting those fights, because Tank didn't really want it. Again, I think Tank is one of the most talented boxers in the sport. I think he's got underrated defense. I think his feet are fantastic. His hand speed is great. He has got an insane catch counter.

His reactability, his power, obviously. He's got a lot of tools that people don't even give him credit for. He is one of the most accurate boxers while not throwing punches like other guys will. Yeah, 50 mil. I get it. It's all great. I can't, like I said, I'm not mad at it. tank for taking money. But you then have to reserve yourself to going, okay, especially if you're

not going to fight other guys, if you're going to walk off into the sunset. You got to go, yeah, you know what? I didn't want it with Chacore. I didn't want it to you. That's what you have to say. Because all this talking about it after the fact, that doesn't mean anything anymore. So whether you agree that tanks should have taken the money or not, whether you agree he should have fought tough level competition or exhibition with Jake Paul, what you can't do is sit online talking like you're going to beat these guys when you never got in the ring with them. You never wanted to. That's the thing. I'm sitting here. Like you can't do this if you weren't willing to put it to the test.

And after the Jake fight, which we'll pull up the tweet in a second, it looks like tank's going to retire. You can't act like you were the boogeyman that no one wanted to fight when it was actually you that didn't want to fight then. Anyway, we continue. Tank quote tweets. They trying to cash you out, fam, what you're not realizing. Nobody wants to see you fight.

You boring in the ring and you boring outside the ring. W, a big ass gap. The pushing the narrative that I'm scared to you when you and me know this is not true. It's no one wants to see you. fight they loses money Jesus Christ they loses money when you fight your own daughter said you almost got knocked out yeah okay again the daughter line it's a funny line because yeah what the his daughter said was really funny but it doesn't mean anything Shakur was not in the least bit

hurt and Tank is saying I don't want to fight you because no one wants to see you fight again I get it you want to make your 50 million you want to you want to be in big fights but to me that just shows that tank had no interest in being the best in the because tank fought guys that had no clout, had no drawability before that. Fought Lamont Roach. Lamont Roach was drawing? Fuck no. The tank beats Jake Turkey gonna make the tank Shakur fight.

This is what I hope that in some way, shape, or form, we still get the fight. Because all this back and forth, it's making it more interesting to me. The build is happening whether they're trying to or not. And I'm hoping that both guys see this. Maybe I'm getting worked a little bit, and I'm hoping this is what is happening, is that we're getting a bit of them throwing it out there and then the fight happened. But if he goes, if he up and retires in the middle of it, then it's like, what the fuck? which is probably what's going to happen.

Knowing Tang, that's what's going to happen. Well, this was what, when someone responded to him, when he said, boxing did a turn, all that, someone said, please retire then. He said, I am in eight weeks. I tend to believe him. Chaucor came back. Yeah, I'm done with you, gang, you got it. Man's bragging about my daughter saying what she said.

Tank, I wish you nothing but the best for your career and your family. Never had no hatred for you. It was business. But I'm better than you at boxing and you know it. And I'm satisfied with that. Tank can't come back and be like you're not better if he's not willing to fight. And Shakur is very smart for putting it that way. That's a great response from Shakur because all he's telling Tank is, I'm better than you.

And if you think differently, come and prove it. Which is the entirety of the sport of boxing, the predication of the sport, the best in the world. I think I'm the best and I'll beat you. Come and prove it if you think it's different. Come and prove it if you think I'm wrong. Every sport ever is predicated on that. You're not. And just how you say all that buddy buddy stuff, I know that's what you want.

Shake up right after the fight and shit, right? Fam, fuck you. That right there is a dunk. And he said, stay blessed little sis. Oh shit. He's trying to go tank into a fight, and I respect it, because why not? These are the names you need to beat to become a superstar. Tank is like clowning him like, you're not a superstar, ha ha, not realizing that him and Chikor is probably the biggest fight outside of Jake Paul he could do.

Why not keep your options open? Why not try to keep your options open for potentially Turkey Alas Shake to come through and say, I got one more massive fight for it. But this last interaction is the checkmate for me. What Shakur says, I'm better than you at boxing and you know it. I'm satisfied with that. Like he's like, listen, by you not fighting me, I won. By you not wanting to prove you were better, I won.

I'm better than you and your responses and you continually not taking the fight and finding reasons not to tells me that I'm better and that you didn't want it. And Tank's like, no, you're not. But you're all saying that buddy buddy shit, fuck you. Thank once again emotional. and Shakur trying to stick it on it. And then the freaking cherry on top is that Gervante just deleted Twitter after.

He deactivated after the entire exchange. If that's not a 10-8, I don't know what is. A back and forth with Shakur Stevenson made him delete his Twitter. Complete deactivation. How does that not tell you who got more emotionally involved? How does that not tell you who can't stand this idea that someone's better? That people are calling him a duck. You know what you do about that, tank?

You fight him. H.E. Turkey-E. Turkey-E. Tchaik has got to get involved here. I'm just saying it. That's the only way this fight happens. Big H.E. needs to get these two in a room and make a fight happen after this Jake Paul fight. It has to. Again, intentionally or not, they are building more and more interest in this thing. As the days go by, I'm starting to want more and more for Tank and Shakur.

If I didn't want it already, I want it more now. Maybe it's the principle of wanting the thing I can't have. But there's more than that to this fight. There is this back and forth. It is personal. They are two of the best in the world. They do have conflicting styles. Their approaches to the fight are different. All of that makes for an...

insane matchup that we just need. The high-level technician and Shakur Stevenson. Again, Tank, I think, underrated technician, but the power, the demolition, the devastation. You want to talk about boxing is dead. It's because we don't have fights like this. And again, Shakur and Teufimo Lopez, fantastic fight. That's another one that I think is a fantastic world-class fight, top of the bill, best in the world fight to make. But even that one, it doesn't measure up the way Shakur and Tank done. That fight is one that I think just has. Has to happen. And sadly, the way Tank is, uh, is moving, it maybe never will. That is the only reason to me, you take a Jake Paul fight, to have one more right off into the sunset.

And again, it's not like Tank has lied about what he, what he wants out of the sport. He wants to make a ton of money and bounce. That seems like what he's going to do. But I will say, this back and forth with Shakur is getting interesting. And I'm a pro wrestling mindset. So I'm always wondering if I'm getting worked. Am I getting worked here? Is this back and forth more than just two guys talking shit?

Is this potentially a bill? Is this potentially the start of a bill? build between Shakur and Tank, tank deleting the Twitter, getting more people to be involved, more people taking a look, more people discussing, the hype is building. Like I said, Turkey Al-A-Shake, if you can get them in a room and make this fight, this would make boxing rating. I know, I know, I know Shikor's got a fight lined up with Tiafimo Lopez. I know that's probably going to be in the early part of 2026, but mid-2020, right there in the middle, where Tank has a couple of months after this Jake Paul exhibition to sit back at home and be like, you know what,

But the reality of the situation, when I look at it on Twitter, when I see the way Tank responds, when I see how emotional he gets, the reality is it probably won't. That's unfortunate.
