Maul made that argument
Starting point is 00:02:49 and it has never worked. I didn't want to blow his spot up, but how the fuck would he know? He arguing for the working man. I have worked. What are you talking about?
Starting point is 00:02:56 Clock in? Yes. When? When? Years ago, but I've worked. Where? I had a couple jobs.
Starting point is 00:03:01 That boys club is not around anymore. What are you talking about, boys club? You don't work at the boys club? No. Maul just seemed like he would have worked at the boys club is not around anymore. You talking about boys club? You don't work at the boys club? No. Moe just seemed like he would have worked at the boys club.
Starting point is 00:03:09 At the Y? Yeah, one of those. Worked at a hospital? A cool job where you could sling and still work. To the kids you worked? You worked at a high school? Hospital. A hospital.
Starting point is 00:03:17 Tell me more about that. No. All right, so everybody's feeling good and feeling great? I'm good. All right, good. I'm glad. You called me. I'm saying you had to hit feeling great I'm good alright good I'm glad you had to hit me I'm like yo
Starting point is 00:03:27 we need to record I didn't understand that shit but I was like man what time yo Joe Joe fucking texted me
Starting point is 00:03:34 at like 8am with the yo with mad O's when can we get on a call Joe has never said that to me so I'm thinking oh shit
Starting point is 00:03:41 maybe we got the bag maybe some money came in you know what's funny the second i sent that text to rory i said ew i never talk like that when can we get on a call i was like what the fuck are you talking about joe button i don't ever want to get on the call there was at least 17 o's you know what i was in the bathroom when i texted that too i'm glad you waited till late on that day to text me i'm never texting you from the bathroom yeah please
Starting point is 00:04:05 Rory has some type of professionalism I could talk to him from the bathroom that's the professional area to talk kind of yeah you know
Starting point is 00:04:15 the bathroom is the office when you have a newborn that's the place to hide yeah that's the place to hide when you want to
Starting point is 00:04:23 dump them with your spouse Sin asking why are you taking a shit every five. Yeah, you have to place to hide when you want to dump them with your spouse. Sin asking, why are you taking a shit every five minutes, Joe? You might have a problem. She be in there with me. Lex be on his own. So anyway, listen, we're having way too much fun at the start of this podcast because this is a very serious podcast.
Starting point is 00:04:40 Is it? No, it's not. Not really. Because it snows in April. It's not. None of these podcasts are ever that serious have we ever had a serious podcast no i don't think so not at all why did people think that this one would be serious is that what the streets were saying yeah is that what the streets were saying yo you know none of you niggas are in the streets yo mo you don't know where i'm at ever i
Starting point is 00:05:04 know exactly where you don't the whole world knows i could be in the streets. Yo, Moe, you don't know where I'm at ever. I know exactly where you're at. No, you don't. The whole world knows where you're at. I could be in the streets, my nigga. You Instagram every hour
Starting point is 00:05:09 from the same spot. Indian style in front of your laptop playing music crazy loud. True. Or eating Chef Mike's grits. Is that his name, Mike?
Starting point is 00:05:20 No, Moe. What's his name? Chef John. Chef John. It's not Chef Mike. Chef John B. Who the fuck is Chef Mike? I thought his name was Mike. My bad. Chef John, my bad. Not Chef John. Chef John. It's not Chef Mike. Chef John B. Who the fuck is Chef Mike? I thought his name was Mike.
Starting point is 00:05:25 My bad. Chef John. My bad. Not Chef Mike. That don't even sound dope. Chef Mike. I'm not hiring no chef named Mike. Why not?
Starting point is 00:05:34 I don't even want a friend's name Mike. I just started talking to my cousin's name Mike. Mike just sounds like you mean trouble. At some point in the relationship, trouble will arise. Yeah, I agree. All right, so fine. This is not a serious podcast, but a lot of people in my mentions for some strange reason all week were saying, oh, can't wait for the Joe Budden podcast to come out this week.
Starting point is 00:05:59 I have no idea why. They say that every week. I'm about to say, it'll rain and be like, can't wait for them to talk about the weather. Y'all are so phony. Y'all know they want to hear us talk
Starting point is 00:06:09 about fab. You said it, not I. Oh, look. All right, so look at Maul. Look at Maul.
Starting point is 00:06:20 I didn't say it. I didn't say it. I said look at you, not listen to you. I'm just saying, look at Maul.
Starting point is 00:06:23 I'm looking at you. Okay. All right, so, oh, so. Oh, so let me announce. Let me announce before we get to this. You know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 00:06:31 About that? You know what? Yeah. No, I thought I was going to cancel this week because of the yo. Oh, yeah. The shit I talked to you all about. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And I was like, we can't cancel this week.
Starting point is 00:06:41 They would kill us. They would just look away. Oh, yeah, this week specifically? So I want to announce that I have made an update to the soundboard because i do anticipate a lot of awkward awkwardly silent moments in this podcast and contrary to what black twitter said all weekend i thought that the little white yodeling kid really did a phenomenal job in walmart i loved it i didn't see why everyone was laughing so i thought that was little white yodeling kid really did a phenomenal job in Walmart. I loved it. I didn't see why everyone was laughing.
Starting point is 00:07:07 So I thought that was the perfect soundbite to play when Rory and Maul start protecting their political connects in this conversation. You got them too. What are we going to talk about? You go on record all the time. There's one rapper that you'll never say anything bad about. You have way more political connects than I do. That's what I'm saying. Y'all got Joe all the way fucked up.
Starting point is 00:07:25 That is not true. What? You don't think you have more political connects than I do? No? No, nigga. You crazy. The little white boy yodeling is the signaling of no. No?
Starting point is 00:07:42 Okay. Well, I think Joe has ruined any political connect he did have at one time. And he still has more political connects than me. Yo, shut the fucking kid up. I think that kid is mad appropriate. I want to dig into those lyrics because he definitely wiped a hoe.
Starting point is 00:08:01 Yeah, but you can wipe a hoe when you live in the middle of the country. And when you're like nine. It's dirt roads. And when when you're nine there's only but four girls in the whole town yeah it's gonna happen yeah you can do that they're gonna get around maul tell me why you think i got so many political connects the only person that i'm connected to in this is is fabulous i'm talking about no away from and and the joe button Podcast curse continues. It does. Because we definitely have been talking about being, like, when you use the word fabulous, and then everything that commenced from there has been unfabulous. Nothing about this week has been fabulous.
Starting point is 00:08:37 Well, for me, I had a great week. I had a fabulous week. Yeah, I had a great week. I had a good week, too. Yeah. Now, I don't know if other people have had a great week, but you know. So, where do we begin here? Well, no, let's get to my political connects because I don't have any.
Starting point is 00:08:54 You do. You have political connects. In this situation, what? No, in general. I'm not just talking about this. Just period? Yeah, in general. Like real people in the industry?
Starting point is 00:09:02 Yeah. I guess I can't argue that Yeah I do have industry relationships That I don't protect them though You kind of massage them A little bit You keep them
Starting point is 00:09:11 In a good space Keep them at bay You're learning to do that Before you didn't give a fuck I was signed to Def Jam I still beef with Def Jam To this day I was signed to Amalgam Digital
Starting point is 00:09:19 I still beef with Amalgam Digital To this day I was signed to E1 I still beef with E1 To this day I was signed to Empire I'm I still beef with E1 to this day. I was signed to Empire. I'm signed to Empire right now. They're waiting on an album. And I'm signed to Shady.
Starting point is 00:09:32 And nobody on Shady speaks to me besides Royce. What political relationship do I keep in Massage? Those aren't your only political connections. Savon, Erickson. Complex is not talking to me. Like, what the fuck is Paul talking about? You protect your political connections.
Starting point is 00:09:50 Safari. Hey, Savon, pull up Political Connections and read it to yourself. Hey, wait, Safari got robbed at gunpoint. Did you hear about that? That story just broke two seconds ago. I saw Angie Martinez talking about it. He was crying in an interview. Wait, he did an Angie interview after he got robbed? This just happened, like, a few seconds ago. I saw Angie Martinez talking about it. He was crying in an interview. Wait, he did an Angie interview
Starting point is 00:10:06 after he got robbed? This just happened like a few seconds ago. And that's the only reason that if you're wondering it, I don't like recording on Mondays because I feel like so much news breaks
Starting point is 00:10:15 on Tuesday or Monday night. Well, and Wednesday morning because we always miss something. And Wednesday morning. But I didn't think any story. And Thursday evening. And then sometimes on Friday. And then Saturday.
Starting point is 00:10:27 News always breaks. Yeah, the weekend. You got to get the weekend news, too. So I didn't think that any story would break to be bigger than the one that, unfortunately, we have to discuss somehow. Now, how do we discuss this? So we'll get into Safari later. We can talk about that. I'll show you the clip.
Starting point is 00:10:44 how do we discuss this so we'll get in the safari later okay we can talk about that i'll show you the clip um so unless you've been under a rock i'm sure by now you have heard the the news that uh there are there's a court date for fab charges are pending uh i think the charges are assault what are the charges because i don't want to be i don't i don't want to say this wrong what is it aggravated assault? Yeah. Terroristic threats? I know that one was for sure confirmed was terroristic threats. But I don't know if he's been charged with any domestic violence or any battery. Okay. Which I always found was a funny word.
Starting point is 00:11:18 Battery? For that. Okay, so this is how I feel. Let's get into this and let's stop tippy-toeing around shit because i already feel like all of the new york media at least will tippy-toe around this and that's the conversation rory and i were having uh before you got here maul do you think this story is being blanketed at all not that it's being blanketed but it's kind of like i don't think there's enough information out yet and this is the the part where I'm going to get really angry. I mean, we've seen a video of, you know, a lot of back and forth yelling and things like that.
Starting point is 00:11:50 But aside from that, what else do we have? I haven't been, honestly, all I saw was the video. I don't know what charges were brought up. I don't know if Fab was arrested or not. I don't know any of that. I just saw a video because everybody was sending the video to my phone, and that was it. The story reads that Fab did turn himself in. Arrested or not, I don't know any of that. I just saw a video because everybody was sending a video to my phone, and that was it. The story reads that Fab did turn himself in.
Starting point is 00:12:12 He was processed and released, and now there's a court date. That's how that goes in New Jersey. That's what happened to me in New Jersey. These charges in New Jersey and these charges in New York, they go very different. They go very different. And the charges are? In New Jersey. But he's being charged with what?
Starting point is 00:12:31 Aggravated assault, terroristic threats. That's all I know for now. Say, Vaughn, pull up whatever he's being charged with. And then read it to yourself. Thoughts. Thoughts on the video. You know, before we get into that, let me say let me let me say where i stand let me say where i stand here fab fab fab is a friend of mine um so this will be difficult to cover somehow still i'm going to attempt to cover it without talking directly or personally
Starting point is 00:12:59 about fab or emily i would like to allow them their privacy uh or as much privacy as they could have at this time uh and i would just like to be mindful of the fact that when cases are open uh anything said in the media uh anything spoken about you know you you tend to help the police and help the people involved uh do their job So I just want to wait until everything is done before we get there. But you know what my stance is on domestic violence. I do have a lot of experience with domestic violence. Actually, before I get into FAB, that's the part I was mad at a little bit. Why didn't my name get brought up on Saturday night?
Starting point is 00:13:41 Well, anytime something happens, you're going to get brought up. You get brought up when they're not even talking about domestic violence. Yeah, but that's not... Just refresh your mentions right now. I'm sure you'll find something. Okay, so let me say my stance on domestic violence for anybody who is unaware. I think that men who hit women are scum, and I think that women who lie about men hitting them are scum.
Starting point is 00:14:03 It's really just that simple for me. Yeah. who lie about men hitting them are scum it's really just that simple for me yeah and and i and that that view doesn't change contingent upon who we are talking about now i'm with maul we have yet to see a video of fab hitting anyone i will say where where it's good and where it's bad for fab with that video is obviously it's a bad video he was being very threatening and she looks very shook like there had been some physical harm but if you look at her in the video i don't know if his lawyer can spin that but she doesn't look like she had been harmed recently in that video i'm only gonna look at this through the eyes of the law and before i get to that let me let me get to why i was mad with my name being thrown in here and that's why we got to be really careful about the
Starting point is 00:14:48 court of public opinion because i didn't hit a chick not one of them times that they were saying i was hitting chicks not a once not a once but boy did that police report read bad. Mine. I'm not talking about FAB's. Before I ever read FAB's, I said to Sen, this police report is going to read really bad because newsflash people, police reports read bad. Yeah. And that's not to say that bad shit didn't occur. Right. But in my experience, boy, those police reports add some sauce in my police report. It said I won't even repeat some of them things. But I gasp for air like, oh, that's horrible. So that's that's my stance on that. Also, as somebody who has gone through this.
Starting point is 00:15:41 I mean, shit, I was suicidal. That shit is no is no joke or no game and that's why my conversation with rory was about this story being blanketed because how this story is unfolding and how mine unfolded a little different true and there's nothing wrong with that but i mean when if we're gonna have an honest conversation then let's have one america is about business i'm not sure that business really cares about women and black people and gay people do the way that we would like them to stop me when i'm saying something wrong no no i'm on board yeah you follow me here yeah so i watched the footage from the fab kiss concert did y'all no i did i saw a few clips wait what happened and then cob was going on a long twitter rant about how hot 97 should be responsible for throwing it they were on the bill it was presented 97. Oh, they had a show this weekend.
Starting point is 00:16:45 At Terminal 5. The day the video came out, there was a show at Terminal 5. Oh, I didn't know that. Yeah, that Hot 97 presents. And he performed. They performed. Yeah, both of them. Oh, so he's not in jail.
Starting point is 00:16:55 No, he's not in jail. No, no, no. No, he's not in jail. Well, that's the difference between New York and New Jersey. In New Jersey, if you go, and Fab is known in in New Jersey so I mean
Starting point is 00:17:06 there's a charge you go there you did process you you bail out and now you have your court date okay and New Jersey deals with it in court so whenever this court date is if they both show up in court to proceed cool and even if she doesn't show up in court and again I only noticed because I went through it I'm not in read up on it if she doesn't show up in court, and again, I only know this because I went through it. I didn't read up on it. If she doesn't show up, New Jersey is still going to hold that case four times. And if she don't show up four times, they'll throw it out. Nobody is playing with domestic violence.
Starting point is 00:17:34 They're not playing that. In New York, you're going to jail. But he was able to do that show. See, me, Shorty went and fouled in New Jersey and then crossed the bridge and fouled in New York. So now you can't travel. I was going to say, yeah, then Fab wouldn't have been able to do that show. That show would not have happened then. But let me not get off track here.
Starting point is 00:17:57 Do you guys hold Hot 97 culpable at all for still throwing that show? Like, tell me what the procedure should be. Should everyone go on with business as usual except for fab except for fab well i mean at the time that the show was what information was out the whole video the video and the charges specifically the video it may have been too late to cancel i don't know not that it's too late to cancel because you can cancel a show anytime before the artist is on the stage even when the artist is in the building shows have been canceled before but i mean i don't know because it's a pretty crazy fee with the video it was you know it was it was arguing it wasn't no physical
Starting point is 00:18:41 you know altercation it wasn't nobody being hit on video right so I mean do you cancel the show because a family was having an argument
Starting point is 00:18:52 I don't know if you cancel the show I don't know if that warrants you to cancel I mean it probably would have been in good taste for them to cancel the show because of the argument
Starting point is 00:19:00 in all fairness no because of the charges and everything like that they should have canceled the show they probably should have canceled the show okay yeah the charges more so I could see that. They should have canceled the show. They probably should have canceled the show. The charges were so I could see
Starting point is 00:19:07 them canceling the show. Not for the video. When I was going through this, I was innocent. So I was acting innocent. And it came off arrogant. And it came off... There's no way you can act. When charges like that come up against you, you just gotta be quiet. That goes back to what I
Starting point is 00:19:24 said about even when you're accused of certain things, when you're found not guilty, people will still always look at you like, you know, like people still say, call Kobe a rapist. You know what I'm saying? Like, people still refer to Kobe as a rapist. Like, I've heard people in conversation like, yeah, he raped. I'm like, when did he ever rape? Like, he was never convicted of rape. So that just, you know when you oh that was the point i was getting to with me being mad that my name is always lumped up yeah when i went to court yeah but it doesn't matter once your name
Starting point is 00:19:53 is associated with something like that yeah guilty not guilty you will always be classified as that when you're a certain person even if you're a regular civilian like if you if a dude is you know accused of being a child molester and he never was convicted of molesting children every time he walks on the block some way people always like that's the molester right there ebro got on the radio this morning and tap danced all around that shit what is that well again it's you know a lot of people don't know how to talk about it because there's not Much information available No let's keep it Let's call it spade to spade It doesn't look good
Starting point is 00:20:27 Niggas like Fab Yeah That's important That's important Let's not overlook that I'm a huge I was hated When I went through it
Starting point is 00:20:36 Yeah no I'm a huge fan of Fab And it was It was disappointing To even hear this about him Because Fab is 100% Always so cool
Starting point is 00:20:42 You know what I'm saying Fab was the last person i thought with name would be in something like this because he's his entire career he's just been a cool the coolest dude in the room you know i mean like you've never i've never even seen that was the most i've ever seen fab even like really move raise his voice that's what i'm that's what i'm yeah i've never seen never seen fab he's always the coolest cat in the room. I don't want to sound ignorant, right? Because how does someone look that beats up their significant other? You don't know. Oh, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:21:11 It's not a look. Yeah. The fab I know, I've never heard it. I've never seen, like, it just cool, calm, and collected always. Right. So I had to really watch that video a lot. And in watching it a lot um first of all you know what and this is not in defense of fab this is speaking from my experience
Starting point is 00:21:32 again let me keep qualifying with that uh anytime a woman or babies are screaming it's bad yeah it's bad i don't care what's happening that is a bad optic you could be totally right if there's a woman screaming or a baby screaming this is not going to go well that's one two it seemed like he had a lot of that energy for the father not really him well let's not say that no i'm only talking about what we saw. I'm not going to say that he was going toward her to beat her to fuck up. I'm not saying that at all. Oh, you know what?
Starting point is 00:22:12 That's my other point in watching that video. God damn security is important, man. A round of applause for security. I'm going to give a round of applause for security because people have no idea how important security is. 50 Cent said a long time ago when he was beefing with everybody in New York and niggas was calling him pussy for running around with security. 50 said people are people are saying that I'm pussy for running around with security. But security is there to protect them from me, not the other way around. That was true. Well, I'm not saying that was true, around that was true well I'm not saying
Starting point is 00:22:46 that was true but that is true security's job is to defuse period it's not just to protect it's to protect everybody
Starting point is 00:22:54 right thank god security was there yeah everybody that would have went totally security stood in front
Starting point is 00:23:01 of the dad security stood in front of fab I didn't have security around Security stood in front of the dad. Security stood in front of Fab. I didn't have security around. No, I just think that that went, I mean, I don't want to sound insensitive, but that could have gone a different way.
Starting point is 00:23:15 That's all, it's all, it's my only point about the security. So now what? I mean, I mean. The court date is soon. So that's. I mean, for me, me it's just like i said again it's disappointing man because fab is one of the few artists that i really look at and you know whenever you talk about you know i'm a proud new yorker so whenever you talk about new york fab is probably whatever yeah you know i mean so it's like you know for that to happen you know
Starting point is 00:23:41 it's disappointing uh and it's you again, we don't have much information. Yeah, so we reserve. Yeah, so I can't. But, you know, like I said, man, I'm just. If it's true, it's extremely disappointing. It's extremely disappointing. Extremely disappointing. I don't even care what it's about.
Starting point is 00:23:57 Like, I'm seeing a lot of people like, oh, what is it? It doesn't even matter. There's never. Let me be clear on my stance. There's never a reason to physically assault or physically beat a woman i don't care what it is i have i look at myself i have so much self-control like there's i don't think there's anything a woman could ever do that would make me put hands on her other than like if you assault my child abuse my like if a babysitter is on camera beating the
Starting point is 00:24:24 shit out of my child or something like that like if a babysitter is on camera beating the shit out of my child or something like that, then I could, like, really see myself hurting a woman. But other than that, I can't, that's just me. I can't see myself,
Starting point is 00:24:32 I can't bring myself to that point because I know, that's, to me, hitting a woman is like hitting a child. Like, I know a woman can't beat my ass. So it's like, why do I feel like I have to put my hands on this woman? You understand what I'm saying?
Starting point is 00:24:44 Like, I know, and don't get me me wrong i know some women are very loose with their hands and they you know they can they can they assault men and they hit men it happens all the time outside of you know tussling or just grabbing a girl up i can never physically hit a woman like i can't i'm not saying i wouldn't grab a woman or hold a woman down and restrain a woman from hitting me but physically putting my hands on a woman and swinging on her, I could never do that. Like I have way too much self. I will remove myself from whatever situation I'm in before that happens. Like to me, that's just me. So if this is true or whatever happened and it's extremely disappointing because Fab is one of the few people that I really look at. And I salute because he just for years has always been a cool cat has always held us carried us up well and he's like I'm on here saying it to me he has
Starting point is 00:25:30 one of the best rap careers prototypically like he's not a megastar but he's been so consistent in his career and so visible and so relevant for so many years like the lifespan of rappers is what maybe three years it is three to four years yeah. Fab has been relevant for over 12 years. I mean like if it's not music it's fashion.
Starting point is 00:25:53 If it's not fashion it's he's always in the mix. Fab's name is always in the mix. We're going on 20 years since that Fab Norrie freestyle
Starting point is 00:26:02 over the Money Power Respect beat debut. That was in 99? Right. Was that in 99? Right. Yeah, that was 99. So, you know, as a New Yorker, Fab is New York. You know what I mean? Like, he's the dude that is like, you know, the cookie cutter New York guy.
Starting point is 00:26:18 Like, cool guy in the room. You know what I'm saying? So, for this to happen to Fab, and this is me, like I said, we don't have the information. It's disappointing. But, you know, just prayers to the family, man. And just hopefully they can have some privacy and get through this yeah Emily made her page private fab has not been posting anything and I would assume it's time that it's time to lay low what what if what does this do for for fab's career I think either way with that video it's affected even if i think shit comes out i think he had music coming i don't doubt it but that's definitely going to
Starting point is 00:26:52 be pushed for some time i don't see fab doing anything in 2018 what does paul rosenberg say is he on dev channel yes it's gonna be tough he can't it's gonna be working outside of that label again until there's more information what can you say I don't think anybody says anything until more information is available because again the video is family arguing you know I mean what was said is you know what was said I we all come from those families. We have get-togethers, you know, uncles that don't like each other. She gets crazy. Things are set.
Starting point is 00:27:28 That was just family having a dispute, and it was recorded and put out to the world. See, that's the problem with this era. Everything is put on a platform to see. She was recording it. Yeah, it depends on the situation. She was recording it. Someone was in that crib doing that. It couldn't be Emily.
Starting point is 00:27:43 She was outside. My guess was her assistant or somebody along those lines was doing it. Yeah, but that's a good thing in a way because if something were to happen, then you want to record it. No, I'm not saying it's a problem. I'm just saying for it to be out in the public and on public platforms is the problem. Somebody recording is what saved my ass. But let me tell you, I had a recording proving my innocence to a T and the D.A. didn't give a fuck. And that's that's the thing. See, in New Jersey, if if no one goes forward with this case, it'll be over and that will be the end of it.
Starting point is 00:28:16 If this were in New York and nobody was going forward, the state is immediately picking that up and they're going to try to fry fry your ass whether they got a witness or not. And then they gonna try to coerce the witness. Like, it get wild over there in New York. So I'm with Mo, man. Prayers to everybody involved. That's the first thing I did when I read about this story. I prayed.
Starting point is 00:28:38 I prayed because it's unfortunate. It came at a really unfortunate time. Easter, you want to be, I mean, you want to be, have your little outfit on and shit. There no there's no appropriate time for this that's true too yeah yeah but it could be a bad time for something i mean i guess it's worse times sure yeah this is always a bad time yeah this is always like this like domestic violence is always a bad thing like there's never like i said i don't i just don't you know i know i know shit happens in relationships but i just never see it shouldn't that shouldn't
Starting point is 00:29:10 yeah but yeah i know like i'm like that to me is like i don't i can never understand a man putting his hands on a woman i just can't understand it i would never understand that like that's something that i could never understand because to me it's like there's no it's a woman you know not you know i mean there's no, it's a woman. You know what I mean? It's just like, it's a woman. You can't hit a woman. It's like growing up as a kid. If you see a kid in a playground and he hits a girl, it's like, yo, what are you doing?
Starting point is 00:29:31 So imagine now as a man, you hitting a woman. It's just crazy to me. Like, I just don't understand it. Yeah, you could grab her in the closet and scream chill, though. Oh, no, yeah. Restraining and hitting is two different things. Like, that's two totally different things. If a woman is hitting you and whatever, you can absolutely restrain her.
Starting point is 00:29:50 But I'm just talking about physically swinging and hitting a woman. That's insane to me. I don't understand. That's unacceptable. I think Breakfast Club this morning was prerecorded, I assume. I assume this morning, meaning yesterday morning by the time you guys hear this. Tomorrow morning, they're going to have to address it too, I would assume.
Starting point is 00:30:08 Yeah, I would think so. I figured they did this morning. I just didn't see. I figured that would have hit Angelina Yee's rumor report. No. I think maybe everybody respects the seriousness of it. It's a serious situation. You get it.
Starting point is 00:30:21 You get it. And a lot of these people know both fab and emily personally so it's personal for a lot of people in new york you know i mean so it's unfortunate yeah that's 20 years of relationships right right and there's children involved most importantly i guess that's the thing that made the video disturbing yeah most important to your children and yeah that are clearly witnessing this yeah it's not a good sight to see for any child whether it was serious or not
Starting point is 00:30:48 like just arguing in that type of way is not great to see as a kid yeah I tell I tell Sin all the time shit when our energy is off I don't like us being around
Starting point is 00:30:58 the kid just just energy that's how important that shit is to me with children alright so we just gotta wait and see. We gotta wait and see. Like I said, there's not enough
Starting point is 00:31:10 to go on right now other than a video. Do you think more will be revealed? Because if everybody was recording, then there's probably a longer video somewhere and whoever sold that video to TMZ is probably trying to sell another one. I was just going to say, unfortunately, we've been through this before with celebs
Starting point is 00:31:25 and domestic situations and everything comes out eventually. You know what I mean? I'm sure we'll get more photos, more videos, more, you know, dialogue. No, we better not get a photo of Emily without teeth.
Starting point is 00:31:39 We always do. Well, let's hope it didn't happen. Yeah, like I said, I don't know what happened. I'm saying we always get mug shots, police photos know we all it well the story domestic case that happened with the story broke before the video came out this is what i'm saying like more things have unraveled since the first report of there being some dispute and uh her father going in to grab guns out the house you're a high profile person in a domestic situation, all is revealed. Now, that's the part that I got.
Starting point is 00:32:07 You grabbing guns. Yeah. You grabbing guns out the house. Who had a gun? Well, the story was that Emily felt scared that Fab might use a gun on her. So her father went in there and took all the guns out of the house. Yeah. That's scary. That is scary. Again, that's, you know, that's scary that is scary again that's you know that's reports i like i said we don't know we don't know what's what's real what's not real what happened what didn't happen everything is
Starting point is 00:32:35 just speculative right now true more like how you handle this I mean it's just real shit I gotta I gotta commend you It's just real shit I was a little scared I was a little nervous too I was a little worried man Me? Yes Why?
Starting point is 00:32:52 I don't know You act like I be running around Wildin' out Nah I just don't think you're cultured Oh okay No that was dope That was good I guess that was kind of
Starting point is 00:33:02 A serious podcast Yeah Well it's a It's a Well, it's a serious issue. It's a serious issue. I wish if it just came out like, yo, Fab is cheating, I would have came in with so many jokes. Right. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:33:14 Yeah, I'd have treated that shit like the Kevin Hart shit. Yeah. But no, this is serious. Yeah, this is serious. So you can't joke about this. You got to be serious. So again, prayers to everybody involved. And more will be revealed, but hopefully not too much more.
Starting point is 00:33:26 I do not want to see a picture that proves any of that stuff to be true. I swear to Jesus, that's going to be painful. And that's that. Listen, now, has anybody seen Roseanne? The new Roseanne? Yeah, now listen. What a great segue. No, I'm blown away by this phenomenon. The new Roseanne? Yeah, now listen What a great segue Nah I'm blown away
Starting point is 00:33:45 By this By this phenomenon The new Roseanne, right? Yeah, I haven't seen that Did it come out yet? Yes Yeah, I didn't see it How many episodes?
Starting point is 00:33:52 Just one? I saw the trailer Just one Just one I'm surprised that you're surprised That was one of the biggest shows Of our era I thought it was dope
Starting point is 00:33:58 That they brought it back I think that that's dope Yeah If it, you know Wait, you're surprised That I'm That was one Besides like Seinfeld That was the biggest Sick house on TV That was huge I think that that's dope. Yeah. If it, you know. Wait, you're surprised that I'm done. That was one of the odds. Besides like Seinfeld, that was the biggest sitcom on TV.
Starting point is 00:34:09 That was huge. Save on. Find out how many seasons Roseanne was on back in the day. A lot. A lot. This is why I'm surprised. Is John Goodman on the new one? All of the original cast members are there.
Starting point is 00:34:22 Which is super dope. I'm a huge John Goodman fan. That's super dope that all of the original cast members are back. Yeah. You don. I'm a huge John Goodman fan. That's super dope that all of the original cast members are back. Yeah. You don't see that often. You don't see that often. So now, let me toss this little tidbit out there. Everything from the 90s is up.
Starting point is 00:34:36 Like all of the old shit that is being redone, renewed. 90s fashion is back. I was going to say sneakers. There's a spike. It's all high. So when you guys say that y'all were not surprised by that, I understand. I'm talking about the severity of the numbers.
Starting point is 00:34:51 Over 25 million people. I don't know what that means as far as what's common. 25 million people what? Watched Roseanne. Over 25. The new one? Yes. Yeah, I believe that. Yeah, that sounds surprising to me. Common would be 12, 14 million. Oh, but I'm not surprised. yes yeah I believe that yeah it sounds surprising to me Common would be 12
Starting point is 00:35:06 14 million oh but I'm not surprised like that would be a great outing I'm not surprised yeah 25 million sounds about right for Roseanne I mean like
Starting point is 00:35:13 so give me since y'all sound like that give me another 90s show that y'all think is capable of that Seinfeld would probably do 50 yeah Friends yeah
Starting point is 00:35:20 Friends would definitely do that shit no way what? we're not watching Friends my nigga we have outgrown Joey and and rachel if they bring friends back right now you're not doing more than 25 million i would slap the shit out of ross man i'm not in 2018 you think i'm looking at fucking ross okay i'm looking at nine white people in a fucking studio a lot of white people okay that's said it's you so what do you think if they bring friends back right i think the white people
Starting point is 00:35:44 got tired of Friends. The fucking Friends stopped getting along. Jennifer Aniston was beefing with them. All right, so that's the other thing that we're ignoring here. All shows can't come back. Friends can't come back because of internal beef. What we're just saying is Seinfeld will not come back because Elaine comes from Fetty, and she's still getting it, and she ain't beat.
Starting point is 00:36:05 Seinfeld ain't beat and Kramer's a racist. We ain't really supporting all of that shit still. Well, what do you say about the Roseanne stuff they're covering on the first episode?
Starting point is 00:36:12 Well, okay. So, Roseanne's character is a Trump supporter but she disses him. That's clever. What's her actual stance politically? I don't know. I'm not certain. I don't know. I'm not certain.
Starting point is 00:36:25 I don't know if she's made that clear. But I do know if you watch TV now, it is swayed to the left on a lot of TV shows. So I think a lot of Trump supporters are going to run to anything that might be positive for him. Because TV now, you can say in the arts and movies, it sways to the left. I mean, it always is, but yeah. And obviously... Stop saying sways to the left. They can pull out a is, but yeah. Stop saying sways to the left. They can pull out a whole ton of sways.
Starting point is 00:36:48 No, we're not swaying. And of course, he was elected president, so a good majority of people like him and I think are going to support anything that he does as we've seen for the past two years. I don't know. It's not very hot in the streets for Trump right now. For where we live, but you have to understand the rest of the country also has cable.
Starting point is 00:37:03 That's true. Speak for yourself. i live with the trump supported white people um okay so roseanne's show roseanne wasn't a political show back in the day but it was it was in a way it was social socio-political economic political so that combined with her character being a trump supporter combined with the fact that all of the original cast members are back combined with the fan i think rosanna originally left over money issues i don't think those issues are happening right now they've already re-upped on season two wow they're rocking all right and all right fine nobody's surprised but me it's a big show just because maybe it wasn't a big show for you
Starting point is 00:37:45 it's a big no it was a big show right i'm not saying i'm surprised because i think it wasn't big it was huge right i'm surprised that 25 years later so many people i could see if the sopranos came back right i could see it uh breaking bad something like with those i didn't know that roseanne's cult was like that. Because she's been low for so long. The sitcoms were big, man. Well, that's why it would be huge. She bodied that.
Starting point is 00:38:12 They didn't wear out their welcome at all. She walked away for whatever the reasons be. I think it was financial reasons. They had nine seasons prior, by the way. She laid low for mad long. So the first episode did $25 million? Yes. And the new episode airs tonight.
Starting point is 00:38:29 I think if Martin comes back, it might do that. Nah. I think so. I don't think it'll do that much. It'll do a lot, but I don't know. I really think so. Well, y'all felt like that when I said Black Panther was going to be the biggest movie ever. That is true.
Starting point is 00:38:45 Play that shit all night. But Martin wasn't as, as big because it was so short. It was only, what, five seasons or something like that? Yeah, but it got bigger after it was off air. No, you're right. That's my point. I think it would do big numbers. Now if new episodes are coming, like, come on.
Starting point is 00:38:58 They do play that shit on MTV, too. That's what I'm telling you. That shit would do crazy numbers. But not 25 million. Okay. Well, shut the fuck up. You didn't think Roseanne was going to do it. You still can't believe Roseanne did that. shit on MTV2. That's what I'm telling you. That shit would do crazy numbers. But not $25 million. Okay. Mo, shut the fuck up. You didn't think Roseanne was going to do that.
Starting point is 00:39:07 You still can't believe Roseanne did that. No, I'm trying to fucking talk about podcast content. Well, no, I didn't think she would do that. I know. That's what I just said.
Starting point is 00:39:15 And wait a minute. With Black Panther, I came in the very next week and said, all right, y'all may be right. I apologize. I'm trying to hang me to the fire. You might come in next week and say,
Starting point is 00:39:22 yeah, you might be right about Martin. Martin is not doing $25 million. Martin's not about Martin. Martin is not doing $25 million if he returns. Martin's not coming back. Martin is not doing $20 million if he returns. And they already said everybody was. Martin is not doing $15 million if he returns. Okay.
Starting point is 00:39:34 All right. He might do $15. I don't listen to Joe. Martin. Wait, if Martin comes back, it's airing where? That's a good question. I don't care where it's airing. A bunch of people are going to watch it.
Starting point is 00:39:49 Don't make me hit the airing button. I don't care where it's aired at. If Martin announces that there's a new season coming, new episodes, a lot of people are going to watch it. Absolutely, but I don't know if it's going to compete with 25 million unless it's on CBS, NBC, or ABC because just by nature of TV. Okay. And the amount of people that view those channels. Right, because just by nature of TV. Okay.
Starting point is 00:40:05 And the amount of people that view those channels. Right. Because you just get them anyway. You know what I mean? Like, even if you're dead broke and you got the antenna, you're getting CBS.
Starting point is 00:40:12 Like I said, man, when black people decide to get behind something and support it, it will do nothing. No, you're right. And I think black people will get behind
Starting point is 00:40:19 the new Martin series. I mean, new Martin episodes. That's just my, that's just my humble opinion. 25 million. Hey. Your humble opinion. Look at Black Panther. That's just my humble opinion. 25 million. Hey. Your humble opinion. Look at Black Panther.
Starting point is 00:40:28 It's trash. Okay. Yo, come on. You're saying you thought Black Panther was super trash? You thought the trailer was trash? You was killing a dude? Like, why is Jackie Robinson playing the Black Panther? You was doing all of that?
Starting point is 00:40:40 Biggest movie ever. I also killed the fucking transgender community for beefing about there not being transgender representation in black panther after i went and saw black panther i was wondering what the transgenders thought they were supposed to do in black panther i mean that's another story we were doing so well yeah i missed the people that was mad about transgender being in black panther that was a thing I miss that part I didn't get that Listen everybody that's oppressed is mad
Starting point is 00:41:08 As of late Well this is a weird This is such a A sensitive I hate it Everybody I hate it Everybody's just so sensitive
Starting point is 00:41:19 I hate all you men And I love my lip Yeah like everybody's just sensitive, man. So it's like when people, you know, I see certain things and marches and rallies, you know, to myself because I don't want to, you know, upset anyone. I just laugh. And on this podcast. Oh, yeah. Another rally, huh?
Starting point is 00:41:36 Okay, we get it. All right. So I think I already know your take on the next topic, but Cardi B's new single was released. This was a big release. You mean Pardee's newer single? No, Cardi's. new single was released this was a big release you mean parties newer single no parties Oh party life of the party life of the party is Cardi the life of the party oh you wanted those no no no no the gentleman who actually wrote the record's name is party like a party and? No, no, no, no. The gentleman who actually wrote the record's name is Party,
Starting point is 00:42:05 Life of the Party. Oh, is it? And a clip got released of him rapping a record a year earlier. Yeah, he put it on his IG and it's still up there. Spoiler alert, guys. Artists buy records. Word. Other people.
Starting point is 00:42:18 Word for word. All the new kids who have no idea how the music business works are up in a roar. Yeah. They've got all their panties in a bunch about Cardi's reference record leaking. And Drake Hive relaxing our mentions right now. We hold Drake as a very high caliber rapper. That's why we were upset.
Starting point is 00:42:36 Yeah, I had someone coming at Rihanna for not writing all her songs. I was like, come on, man. Come on. You better holler at Michael Jackson, too. You got to holler at a lot of people. You got to holler at everybody. Everybody. Frank Sinatra.
Starting point is 00:42:47 Everybody. So with that said, how do y'all feel about the song? I thought it was cool. Well, first listen, I didn't particularly like it. A few more, I kind of understood what they was trying to do. I think she was going for the radio record so much that maybe they needed to pull back and show that she could make a slower song, I guess. It's her third single.
Starting point is 00:43:05 And not just redo Bodak Yellow over and over. I know it seems like it should be her first single because the album is supposedly dropping this week. Sixth, I think. So people expected it to be the huge smash single, but she's already had two singles out before, so it's not uncommon for the third single to be some different... And listen, it was full of a bunch of Instagram captions and tweets that girls could take when they take one selfie, which I guess is a good marketing plan.
Starting point is 00:43:29 That's some strategic marketing these days is what will be a good IG caption? Let's make that my. I love the chorus. I love it. I was one of the few people that said Cardi should actually say never try my heart. If you have it, don't hold it. Be careful with my heart. No, I know. I'm actually saying this shit. Never drop my heart. If you have it, don't hold it. Be careful with my heart. No.
Starting point is 00:43:48 That is what the hook says. I know that's what it says. Be careful with me. I'm just saying no. My heart is pretty delicate. If I give it to you, better be careful with my heart. I don't think she sounded that bad. I don't think she did either.
Starting point is 00:44:00 Why is she singing the hook? Let's talk about it. That record ain't for me. Well, it's not for anyone. No shit. It's not for anyone No shit It's not for me either I'm not home in the mirror I'm cool
Starting point is 00:44:08 Saying be careful with me I'm cool I'm cool on that record I'm good Not for me Was Bodak Yellow for you? It wasn't for me But it was a better
Starting point is 00:44:18 Audible was better Was G-Eazy shit for you? G-Eazy's verse yeah So none of Cardi's music is for you No Shut the fuck up then You asked my opinion I just said it ain't for me
Starting point is 00:44:29 Oh okay Well I don't ask your opinion What do you think What do you like the way It makes women react to parties That's why I like Cardi Mall ain't been to no party I was in a party the other day
Starting point is 00:44:38 What party In the city Can I get more information Come on you know the party in the city. Oh, you was at One Oak? You was under the neon sign? No. Ended up at One Oak.
Starting point is 00:44:51 I wasn't under the neon sign. Yes, you were. I was in One Oak. I wasn't under the neon sign. Wait, what does the sign say? You started out at the Derby and then ended up at One Oak. No, I started out on the- You hopped around?
Starting point is 00:45:00 No, I started out on the West Side Highway. More than the hop around, dude. I started out on the West Side Highway, then I ended up in Mon Oak. More than to, what's up, y'all? Let's run over here next. Nah. Yo, my man got a table over here. Nah, those days over. Yo, my man has a table over here. You know that guy?
Starting point is 00:45:16 Nah, those days over. I seen you had a table in Cherry Lounge that time. Cherry Lounge? Nah. You had a table? No. Alright. Cherry Lounge. More had a table at Skate Key. They used to be in Cherry Lounge. Yeah, but I definitely don't have a table? No. All right. Cherry Lounge. Ma had a table at Skate Key. They used to be in Cherry Lounge. Yeah, but I definitely didn't have a table. All right, back to this Cardi record.
Starting point is 00:45:32 All right, I'm not surprised that somebody else wrote the record. News slash, Cardi's not writing any of this shit. Who thought Cardi was writing anything? Not I. Not me either. No savvy music guy thinks that cardi is writing anything now with that to the side i like this record i like this record let me let me let me be clear because my take may be a little confusing i like this song a lot i don't like how it was released
Starting point is 00:45:58 why you say that well when homeboy all right when i first heard cardi's version i said all right she's spitting like she is spitting sure she is that's really great that's really great rapping it's better rapping than i've heard from her in a long time she even used uh the word coordinates and i know it took a few takes it's's a hard word to say. I know. Listen, I have trouble saying it, and Cardi English is broken a little bit, so. Especially when you're rapping. Y'all thought Cardi sat down in the studio
Starting point is 00:46:33 and wrote coordinates, people. Like, nah, get the fuck off. So anyway, so I thought that she was killing the verses, and then the hook came, and I was like, I see what you did there, and then the explanation came that she was like i see what you did there and then the explanation came as she wanted to be a letter and authentic all her so no features and i was like okay but no it could have been hell this is i could have taken this level it sounded like a scissor record scissor could have taken that to any other level any level it didn't have to be
Starting point is 00:47:02 the next one any level the next one scissor a feature would have helped the chorus tremendously number one uh number two it's such an empty record period so it sounds rough it sounds dry demo it's very dry yeah it's dry is that still coming this week the The album is coming out April 6th, yes. That's really popular in modern pop music, by the way. There's a lot of stuff that's very dry. If it's not completely soaked like The Weeknd, it's very dry. I thought the mix on her vocal,
Starting point is 00:47:37 I might be nitpicking, I just think that they could have done more when they got the record from wherever they got it from to bolster it, to make it a Cardi B sounding record. Yeah, the vocals are really low. Everything with Cardi is big. She's a big artist. She's a big act now. The music kind of got to match that.
Starting point is 00:47:54 When your label buys the record, your team, your label, somebody has to make sure that the writer took it down from his across all socials. That's another thing. That's got to be in the contract when you sell that shit. I'm sure it was. It probably just went overlooked.
Starting point is 00:48:09 Do your research and find that shit. There's enough people at them damn labels. The intern could have been scouring his socials. Yeah, that's got to go. That can't happen. I can't say sway what Parks can say scour. No, scour's hard. Yeah, it's a hard word. Like coordinates? It. Scour. No, scour's hard. Yeah, it's a hard word.
Starting point is 00:48:25 Like coordinates? It's up there? No, scour's harder than that. So I like the record. I just don't like the final result, if that makes sense. I get it. I wasn't mad at it. Yeah, it's just low quality now.
Starting point is 00:48:41 That way, that's one. Two, this is when I knew a feature should have been on that course when i saw vinyls and boy wonder uh i think it was vinyls tweeting about the record because he produced it he co-produced it yeah and then i said oh that's why it's got this little 2000 this is the nothing this is nothing with the same drake that's what the beat when that beat dropped that is the error that it took me to nothing was the same Drake so when Vinyls tweeted that I said okay
Starting point is 00:49:09 if he did the beat that makes sense but oh what did he say he said that beat was from then no no he didn't say that but that is the era
Starting point is 00:49:16 that Vinyls was really really shit he still is he's been producing all that shit Vinyls and Boy Wonder are still doing all the fucking big
Starting point is 00:49:25 records this is true but i get the frequency in which they are released from ovo is slower now okay as as as far as uh it relates to back then number one and number two the records sound different today yeah today the sound is different that record is an old record clearly because home boy posted it a year ago um we know this is common in music too where you know you record a song that comes out years later but again if i'm this magnet if i'm that magnitude of an artist i'm not getting a two to three year old reference track fair especially to release my album but i saw some people saying that uh between bodak yellow or whatever, I saw some reports, some of them might have been fake, that Cardi is already registered to be gold when she drops. Yeah, I'm sure.
Starting point is 00:50:12 Yeah, same way. I saw that last week. Views was platinum before it dropped because of one dance. Yeah. Yeah, that's why they're going to fix that eventually, I think. That's a loophole in the system. Yeah. And I mean, I don't want to repeat myself.
Starting point is 00:50:24 Yo, this shit is crazy man I'm sorry Like this new era This new way of getting music And these numbers These numbers are false man I'm sorry Like I can't respect
Starting point is 00:50:32 Whoa I can't respect Whoa Whoa I can't respect a lot of these numbers You don't respect the hot 100 No Not at all
Starting point is 00:50:42 You don't respect the iTunes podcast chart No No Alright so give me more No Not at all You don't respect The iTunes podcast chart? Mm-mm No? No Alright so give me more You always come in With the hard Opening line And then just drift away
Starting point is 00:50:53 In the verse No because I'm listening To you talk And you know We always start Talking about numbers And shit And it's just like
Starting point is 00:50:58 It's like this The way people Could just throw These crazy numbers Out now And it's like You know I can't knock them
Starting point is 00:51:04 For being born When they were born and coming up in the era. But it's just like a lot of that shit I can't respect. I just don't like the way that that works as far as a single counting towards your album going. Yeah, like I do shit like that. It's crazy to me. That's the new, I won't say new rollout, but I see that that period is the period that labels focus on, and then they don't care about your album dropping. I'm seeing that happen with God's Plan now, with Drake.
Starting point is 00:51:31 They're going to rake that up, and when that has added however many fucking sales it needs to add, because I believe Drake is done. With his album? Yeah, he's wrapping up. And then they do a different fact every day, like God's plan has been on for seven years. Mind you, it came out three weeks ago. It's been on Billboard for 17 weeks in a row. The Beatles never did that.
Starting point is 00:51:51 And I'm like, wait, what? Only Madonna and the Beatles. And it's not just Drake, but there's a lot of artists. They just come up with these weird facts for the day it drops. All the people that write the LeBron facts at ESPN write the Drake facts. ESPN has all the same. Only on a Wednesday in the blue moon did Michael Jordan get the same numbers.
Starting point is 00:52:11 What were we talking about just now? Streaming numbers, Cardi. Oh, Cardi. Cardi. Other than that, I mean, the video's not out yet, right? They're putting out a video for the other record. For the record she just put out? I think I saw that she's...
Starting point is 00:52:27 Oh, it's called Cardi with Cardi. They didn't put a video out for that? No, they were... Remember, I said they were announcing that they were going to show one on VH1 during the Love & Hip Hop reunion, and it never aired. So now they're going to...
Starting point is 00:52:40 The way they're handling this is confusing. It's all over the place, but it's all over the place Because of That's really late for that video Strenuous circumstances And because of the fact That they got the ace in the hole That the album's gonna be
Starting point is 00:52:50 Platinum off rip It kinda doesn't matter Cardi just tweeted A fuck out Like two days ago That Alright she just finished the album What you laughing at?
Starting point is 00:53:07 What? That is scary wasn't she saying that she was still down to the wire fam this is being handled crazy but you know what what I would like to say
Starting point is 00:53:17 is I take we've been saying for the past two weeks that we felt this was rushed yeah it did yeah but it's being confirmed with every passing day
Starting point is 00:53:23 I would like to take back though what I said last week about Cardi switching her management team. I'm in full support of it now. Last week I said it was a conflict of interest. But the more I thought about it, every tweet, every Instagram post, every snap, everything, she's talking about people stealing from her. So the word is that her team was stealing from her oh well and that brings me back to what well you look you look before and that brings me back to when tmz first got the news that she was pregnant and it said we got word from her team and
Starting point is 00:53:59 i was like well that's conflicting because she's doing everything she can to hide her pregnancy but somebody told it the old team yeah the old team is just selling business out here I mean I'm just speculating here of course so
Starting point is 00:54:13 your boyfriend is the hottest rapper in the world his team is breaking everybody they broke him they breaking Yachty they breaking they breaking everybody
Starting point is 00:54:22 and they're putting them in shit outside of rap too, keep that in mind. No one's doing that better than QC. I can't call it a conflict of interest because at no point will QC have to negotiate offset against Cardi. If anything, it would help.
Starting point is 00:54:38 It would help. They're leveraging. That's a great move, especially if your old team is stealing from you yeah I have no beef with that round of applause for QC making a power move
Starting point is 00:54:50 and taking cardio over there sidebar I'm tired of Quavo on offset I saw them playing football in a video somewhere at uh yeah whatever the day was called I'm tired of days
Starting point is 00:55:02 Huncho day Huncho Huncho Quavo's dope enough Iuncho Quavo's dope enough I mean Quavo's dope enough to get a day he can have a day
Starting point is 00:55:09 I'm not calling my man's Huncho I'm not ever calling him Huncho but I saw listen Quavo Quavo was playing quarterback
Starting point is 00:55:16 he threw the ball to Offset as if he were Sam Donald and Offset looked like Saquon Barkley out there I was like, God damn it, man.
Starting point is 00:55:26 I got to start giving these kids some more credit. Remember what it's like to be athletic like that? Well, Rory's probably still athletic because he's in his 20s, but the rest of y'all niggas.
Starting point is 00:55:34 Remember what it's like to be athletic like that? We're those guys now. We're not. It's over. We just got our war stories of our glory days. It hurts getting out
Starting point is 00:55:44 the bed now. Yeah. I feel the rain two days in advance. That nigga Offset is nice on the football field. So that's how you write the farmer's almanac. Now I understand. Pretty funny there, Rory. Is that all we had on the Cardi record?
Starting point is 00:55:59 Anything else we need to unpack with that one? I think that's about it. I'm set. Are we waiting for the album so we can discuss in detail? Yeah, I'm looking forward to the album. I am too. I'm curious to see what she does with the full project. I want to hear a full project from her.
Starting point is 00:56:16 I want to hear what she puts together. Do we have feature guesses? Oh, man, that's pretty cool, guys. I can see why the street tour is waiting on you guys' opinion. Did her track list come out yet? Nah. Nothing has been released. Well, she's apparently still recording songs according to her Twitter. Hey, man. Jay-Z did PSA
Starting point is 00:56:33 the day before they turned the album in. Good thing he did. Good fucking thing he did. What a record to do just before your album's handed in. Yeah, that's a good one. The Weeknd project was released. Erickson looks like the Weeknd a little bit in the right? Yeah, that's a good one. The Weeknd Project was released. Erickson looks like The Weeknd a little bit in the face. Yeah, he does a little bit.
Starting point is 00:56:51 The Weeknd. Why is that so funny? You stupid, man. Did anybody listen to it? I did. I love it. I did. You mean all six songs? Oh, my God.
Starting point is 00:57:00 I thought it was cool. Hold on, Maul. Maul seems displeased with how many records. Hold on. No, no, no, because we- Maul can't be displeased. We said when we listened, did we listen to it?
Starting point is 00:57:09 Yeah, I listened to all six songs. All right, well let me tell you why I won't hold that against The Weeknd. I'm not holding it against them at all.
Starting point is 00:57:17 I'm just saying it wasn't- Every other- It didn't take long to listen to six records. Every other EP that niggas is sneaking out, they doing some bullshit. Whose EP did I just listen to?
Starting point is 00:57:29 Oh, Tink. I love Tink's EP. Every song is two minutes. Not The Weeknd. The Weeknd will not do that. Them shits is five. Yeah, that shit was good. After three minutes, the beat change.
Starting point is 00:57:41 After he give you a whole nother song on the end of one. I'm fucking with them six. That was better than his album. I know sure that was that was pretty good and uh i think he released some type of track list or or oh no the comma is what is leading people to believe that you know we getting a new weekend full length project soon he one of them niggas i don't expect him to ever do anything for no reason it's always calculated he's not just dropping the ep with no music coming so that's not happening i don't believe that yeah he doesn't move that way yeah no but man that ep is fire help men out too all these
Starting point is 00:58:14 men are trash shit that just reminded me how trash women are wait what that ep women are trash that man was hurt. Women are trash. He was hurt. No, he wasn't. There was some foul shit happening in his relationship. This is true. Anytime a man is getting hung over the fire by a woman, nobody cares. Niggas just want the good music.
Starting point is 00:58:38 It's like nobody cares that The Weeknd almost gave the girl a kidney. Word. And then everyone talk about Cardi and how hurt she was in that song. The Weeknd gave you six songs of way more hurtness. Yeah. And a kidney. Word. And then everyone talked about Cardi and how hurt she was in that song. Weeknd gave you six songs of way more hurtness in the kidney. But you kind of expect that type of sound
Starting point is 00:58:52 from Weeknd already, though. That's his sound. He looked like the nigga that a bitch could get a kidney from. You're not giving a kidney? Nigga. A kidney.
Starting point is 00:59:03 A kidney. No? No. Not your kidney. No. Not your liver? No. I'm keeping everything that's internal. They don't want my liver. Word. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:59:12 I need a new liver. I want to hear how that phone call went. The kidney conversation? What does this nigga say? I'm in the middle of something. Let me call you back. What if she actually took the kidney and then it ended? So you can't just give away your kidney.
Starting point is 00:59:31 I'm going to need that back. You can't get it back. You can't take your kidney back? That's why I have never purchased implants for a woman. Or a kidney. Because I would want my implants back. No. Implants, whatever.
Starting point is 00:59:45 My kidney that came out of my my kidney tell me how that conversation would go what do you mean whatever I can't you can't go have sex with another nigga with my kidney no way
Starting point is 00:59:52 no fucking kidney so now say that same sentence again and replace the word kidney with breast no implants is because that wasn't never mine that kidney was in my body
Starting point is 01:00:03 that was my money. No. That paid for those titties. I'm rolling with Maul. I'm rolling with you. My kidney. My kidney. I've had that my whole life.
Starting point is 01:00:12 Well, Maul's not buying a chick a beef jerky. If I'm ever with a chick and she asks for a beef jerky, we will never hang out again. Go for my beef jerky. Beef jerky? Have you ever looked at the ingredients of a beef jerky? Nah. Well, they make organic beef jerky. I've? Have you ever looked at the ingredients of a beef jerky? Nah Well they make organic beef jerky
Starting point is 01:00:26 I've never read the ingredients on anything I've consumed What the fuck are you talking about? Yeah no beef jerky You can't date a girl that likes beef jerky That is a weird request Beef jerky? That's some wild shit Yo if you go
Starting point is 01:00:37 If you stop at the store And she slam a Slim Jim on the counter Listen man We dropping you off You gotta go She could be a smoker. A type of smoker. Chicks with the weed heads
Starting point is 01:00:48 love Slim Jims according to movies. You better go get a real burger. A beef jerky? How many times have y'all got pussy off a... Off beef jerky?
Starting point is 01:00:56 Zero. No, off a bag of weed. One bag? I'm embarrassed. I'm not fucking with no chick that's giving me ass Over one bag of weed
Starting point is 01:01:06 At least let it be half Or oh Bitches are getting Let me roll you up Like four coins In 05 They was giving it up For a gram
Starting point is 01:01:14 Wait a bit $15 Yeah Younger But I was getting Right off the tray Off the tray bag Nah
Starting point is 01:01:19 Not off a dime Hey I wanna meet I wanna meet the guy Who just made Them stop selling Tray bags altogether A tray bag is crazy guy who just made them stop selling tray bags altogether. A tray bag is crazy.
Starting point is 01:01:27 Yeah, ain't nobody selling no tray bags. That's a crazy small amount of weed. Selling trays is a sick hustle, man. A tray bag of weed is crazy.
Starting point is 01:01:37 Especially some good weed. You know how small that is? A tray bag of weed is insane. Nobody here has ever purchased a tray bag.
Starting point is 01:01:44 Never. Yeah, back in high school. Never. What? A tray bag of weed. Back. Nobody here has ever purchased a tray bag. Never. Yeah, back in high school. Never. What? A tray bag of weed. Back when weed was only shitty weed. Maul is always better than us. I started smoking weed.
Starting point is 01:01:53 I was older, first of all. Oh, okay. And it was already like high potent shit. Oh, okay. Oh, well, that's why. Yeah, back in the 90s. In the 90s, it was only shitty weed. No, I started smoking like in 03, 04.
Starting point is 01:02:05 Oh, you're not a gangster, my nigga. Yeah, I'm not a gangster. I smoked weed out of the tin foil before. I'm not above anything. What, the can? I'm not above anything.
Starting point is 01:02:12 You ever made the bowl out of the can where you punch the holes in it? Dog, I've made a bowl out of everything. Word. Yeah, y'all white. Y'all do that type of shit.
Starting point is 01:02:18 That's a fact. Y'all make bowls out of that. There was plenty of black kids smoking out of the tin foil with me. Well, y'all would be very surprised at how drugs came back in the day. Crack came in bags. Brown bags.
Starting point is 01:02:28 I'm sorry that you know that. Why? That you know crack came in a bag? You know it, too. No, I don't. Nobody in your family know that crack came in a brown bag? My family. You said me.
Starting point is 01:02:40 Ask. My family, yeah. I'm sure. You better stop talking like you're so much better than anybody. No, I'm sure. My family. Don't talk to your family, nigga. I'm sure there's niggas in my family that know that. Well, that's how I know family, yeah. I'm sure. You better stop talking like you're so much better than anybody. No, I'm sure. My family is. Don't talk to your family, nigga. I'm sure there's niggas in my family that know it.
Starting point is 01:02:47 Well, that's how I know it, nigga. I speak to my family. I know crack from vows. Like, from glass. Well, you just started smoking weed in 03, my nigga. Yeah. You're not against. You don't know about shit back then.
Starting point is 01:02:57 I keep saying more when I'm outside. I was outside. Rory has the list of topics. Can you open your phone and just stop sitting here? After you berated me for having a list last time? Yeah, because I didn't make the list today.
Starting point is 01:03:06 What else is on the fucking docket? Are we worried about the Bow Wow versus Trippie Redd and the fight for Ohio? The fight for Ohio. The battle for Akron. The fight for Ohio
Starting point is 01:03:19 is crazy. Is LeBron in this fight? LeBron name has to be somewhere in the fight for Ohio. Somebody on the bench on the Cavs could be in this fight. Damon Jones? Somebody in...
Starting point is 01:03:30 LeBron has to be in this fight. Busy Bone. I don't think Busy Bone is... The whole Bone Thugs is definitely in the fight for Ohio. I might put Ray Cash in that fight. Machine Gun Kelly? For sure. This is my beef with Bow Wow,
Starting point is 01:03:42 who probably will come on the show at some point. Hopefully. I should not invite it. My beef with Bow Wow is. Nah, he has to come. No, he'll never come. We've always associated Bow Wow with Atlanta. And that's the other dude's issue, Trippie Redd.
Starting point is 01:03:59 I believe I see some of him. So I might agree with Trippie Redd here. You can't just come back and claim Ohio now that the land is cool. The land. Yeah, they got a cool nickname. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Some championships. I was about to say.
Starting point is 01:04:11 LeBron bought a whole bunch of money in the downtown area. Yeah. JR's making the clubs. Yeah. He made the clubs a little better. Yeah, no. Bow Wow got to stay with crisscrossing the brat. You cannot come to the land now, Mr. Wow.
Starting point is 01:04:25 Have you guys seen the trippy red gentleman? I know nothing about his music. I just know he needs a glass of water and some lotion. He's the weirdest color I've ever seen in my life.
Starting point is 01:04:35 He's like gray. He looks so dehydrated. Quiet is kept. Quiet is kept. That kid's music is pretty good. My son is calling me. Trey.
Starting point is 01:04:44 Plug your new record. Uncle Dill said we have to dress a certain type of way tomorrow. Tomorrow? I don't know anything about tomorrow yet. I'm still in today. Let me finish my podcast, and I'll shoot you a text as soon as I'm finished. All right? All right.
Starting point is 01:04:57 Sorry, pops. No, it's fine. I love you. Love you, too. Bye. Bye. Don't try to be nice to your son, because we're recording. Yeah, I'm super mean.
Starting point is 01:05:09 That's not how you act around Trey. I'm the meanest dad ever. I don't try to be nice to your son because we're recording oh yeah i'm super mean that's not how you act around i'm the meanest dad ever i don't i don't know yo i'm just learning well no we listen to we all heard the record but we know yo what's up with the volume on this thing you keep turning it down yeah god damn it all right rory let me see your little list. I don't care about Trippie Redd and Mr. Wild's beef that much. DMX got sentenced to one year. Damn. Listen, I don't ever want to see someone go to jail, but that might be better for him. He might need a year to get his shit straight.
Starting point is 01:05:35 I don't know. I don't know. So slipping didn't get it done? No, it went from five to one. He was facing five. He got one. I seen a nigga tweet one I seen a nigga tweet I seen a nigga tweet
Starting point is 01:05:47 Yo the judge was probably like Damn I forgot how hard This shit slap Alright a year And writes to record Over the phone Shine did it So can you
Starting point is 01:05:57 Oh wait Remember when Rory Tried to defend That fucking Shine album To me Yeah and I still Fucking will Oh my god
Starting point is 01:06:04 Yo Rory Godfather Buried Alive Is hard That's a good album Yo Rory tried to defend that fucking Shine album to me? Yeah, and I still fucking will. Oh, my God. Yo, Rory is the worst. Godfather Buried Alive is hard. That's a good album. Yo, Rory has the worst music hot takes ever. Shine, wait. Rory is the guy that because he worked at Def Jam for that period that he worked there. Oh, everything? He thinks everything that was released.
Starting point is 01:06:21 Dog, I was like 13 when that album came out. What are you talking about? So why are you defending that? Because I like was like 13 when that album came out. What are you talking about? So why are you defending that? Because I like it. I enjoy that album. Okay. Rory likes the Shine Jail album that he rhymed over the phone from jail. I thought you were talking about the first Shine album.
Starting point is 01:06:37 That bum ass Kevin Liles overpaid for. I think the first Shine album was alright though, right? Yeah, but we're talking about the Def Jam one from jail over the phone where it was all collective calls. Y'all don't remember that? Their phone bill budget was crazy. When he just got back from Saudi Arabia or some shit he was wearing a fucking HomeGoods sheet.
Starting point is 01:06:57 You talking about Shine? Yeah. This shit was hard. Yeah, that was hard. I like this album I had to wait for the phone to connect That's why it's a long intro That record was hard Please press 5
Starting point is 01:07:15 And got some chick just saying shit To the phone connect She was on the call This is why Rory can't leave Can you turn this off So we can keep the number one podcast? We're not doing the deep dive on the Shine Collect Call album. But speaking of me working at Def Jam, my first call ever that I picked up was from Shine from Belize
Starting point is 01:07:39 looking for someone at Def Jam. And I tried to connect the call and nobody would take it. They told me to hang up. Damn. You hung up on Sean? Listen, bro. It was my first day. That's a rough first day. Yo, and he I could barely understand him and then I heard
Starting point is 01:07:56 him finally get out, it's Sean. I was like, nah, this can't be Sean. It's Sean. I would 100% hang up on Sean. I'm not talking to Sean. Why not? The fuck I'm talking to Sean. Why not? The fuck I'm talking to Sean about? If you work at the label that he signed to? He was like kind of signed.
Starting point is 01:08:10 He had just got out of jail a little while ago. I'm never talking to Sean if he signed to the label. And you worked there? Yeah. I don't have to talk to a nigga. Damn, I was going. Oh, do y'all see L.A. Reid? Come on.
Starting point is 01:08:24 Let's go. What he did? It's your L.A. Reid Come on let's go What he did It's your L.A. Reid hate out Roy is crazy man What L.A. Reid do He's trying to sneak back in Oh he's starting a label right No he's
Starting point is 01:08:35 It started It started He's sneaking I'm about to say It started Big boy right He signed He signed
Starting point is 01:08:41 Big boy Get the credibility I see it L.A. Reid don't knock it the fuck off He signed he signed big boy get the credibility i see it la reed don't knock it the fuck off he signed he signed big big boy because he's got that relationship for 25 years so that's cool sure and saint john is through his imprint as well and his imprint is being distributed through empire you won't know it until you scroll to the bottom of the track list and see Hitco
Starting point is 01:09:07 slash Empire. So he's indie. What do we have? Is Empire still indie? Kinda. Depends on your definition of indie. If you're on the chance side or the non-chance side.
Starting point is 01:09:24 I think that they have some type of situation through a major. Yeah, through Warner. Yeah. Yeah, it's all through Warner. Listen, fuck what y'all talking about. That's why Joe was saying he was independent. I was like, no, you ain't. LA, reach your bum asses down here with the civilians, nigga.
Starting point is 01:09:37 Hit my gunshot. Huh? On what? Why Rory look confused? I mean, Empire's putting out a lot of good shit now. That's the best way to go. If I was an artist trying to sign to a major, I would say you should probably go through Empire.
Starting point is 01:09:49 I would probably say that. Yes, Rory. I'm signed there. Now, are you done with raising your voice so I can continue cracking on L.A. Reid? Go ahead, sir. These jokes are coming, and there's nothing you can do about it.
Starting point is 01:10:02 I have no tie to L.A. Reid. Yes, you do. I have none. I have none. Y'all don't see Rory if la read y'all see his face get a little pinkish every time that's my natural every time we talk about la read rory's from la read def jam so are you got some type of so are you la read relationship so do you so he's one of the niggas that highly regards nasty, perverted, freaky-ass L.A. Reid. So that's cool if you want to defend freaky man. I don't. You just hate him, and I hate everything you like.
Starting point is 01:10:36 I do not. Wait, I hate him? I don't hate him. I just call him spade to spade. Rory wants to fucking defend freaky man. Defend freaky man Listen man Lil B called you
Starting point is 01:10:47 A nasty man So you might be up there Well Joe is a nasty man That was kind of like That was the funniest Diss ever Wait You get called a nasty man
Starting point is 01:10:55 In a rap beef You nasty old man Calling somebody A nasty man Lil B is the god. What is going on right now, man? Why am I here? I'm uncomfortable.
Starting point is 01:11:10 I'm really uncomfortable. What is happening? I'm playing Get Your Freak On. Oh. For fucking L.A. Reid. Freaky ass. You nasty man. Freak
Starting point is 01:11:25 Freaky man Holy shit Wait Why are we Why are we letting Fucking L.A. Reid Hey I ain't letting L.A. Reid Sneak back in
Starting point is 01:11:39 Unnoticed He's your label mate The face head ass nigga That's your label mate Get the fuck out of here That's your boss now See look at R of here. That's your boss now. See, look at Rory. Extra pink. That's my natural complexion.
Starting point is 01:11:49 And listen, I'm disappointed they have to do this because both of Big Boy's last albums was hard. That's true. And that St. John album is hard. I've heard people say that. I haven't heard it yet. It's hard. I'm going to play it as my sleeper. It's hard. But fuck L.A. Reid. And Hitco. Damn.A. Reid and Hitco.
Starting point is 01:12:06 Damn. As a label and as a staff? As a label, as a staff, as a company and a fucking organization. You think I'm going to let that slide? L.A. Reid single-handedly changed everything about music and just to creep back through the back independent door and be laface with us at Empire? Seems smart to me.
Starting point is 01:12:25 If you don't get L.A. Reid the fuck out of here, Empire. Seems like a business savvy move. Yeah, fuck L.A. Reid. You going to run up in the office? No, I've never been. I've been to Empire. Yes, I have. Like once to sign and then leave?
Starting point is 01:12:37 I love Empire. I do too. This is the first thing they've done that I've looked at. But I understand it from a business side. But fuck L.A. Reid. I can't believe LaFace is on Empire. Nobody want to talk about it. Am I the only honest media guy

Starting point is 01:13:29 That's where you take young people like Six Flags. Blac Chyna was not dressed appropriately for Six Flags, number one. Number two, she had mad people with her to avoid getting an altercation and still got an altercation. When have you seen Blac Chyna appropriately dressed for Six Flags? For Six Flags? No, I haven't't but i've seen her appropriately dressed before yeah when she was up filing her case against rob kardashian she had worn that same suit to the superman ride if i'm where i'm kardashian i'm pretty happy about about all of this i'm taking you know how hard it is to get uh custody of of your child from like a woman?
Starting point is 01:14:05 As a man, yeah. As a man? Oh, it's like fucking, can't do it. Right. You have to hire private eyes and all that shit. Black China just out here wilding in public. That nigga Rob is like, what? Call the lawyer.

Starting point is 01:14:30 Nah Nah I think it was I'm not sure if she really Wanted smoke though I'm not angry at her Cause I always want to Beat up a kid at Great Adventures too
Starting point is 01:14:37 It's a pretty annoying place At a certain hour Great Adventures Is the most annoying place For a famous person to be I guess that's why I'm confused about Why she keeps going there. If you don't want to be seen
Starting point is 01:14:48 and you don't want to be... This wasn't her first time? When is Blac Chyna not going to be seen? I'm sure Blac Chyna has been in a few altercations, but I don't know about... Don't you know about Six Flags? I don't know. I don't keep up with all of the altercations at Six Flags, Moe. You don't get a newsletter?
Starting point is 01:15:03 Google Alerts. You're a media guy. Yeah, you're supposed to be up on these things. You know what's funny? Mall is calling me media guy, but you've been breaking all the news in the group chat, Mall or Alert. Joe is so corny.
Starting point is 01:15:19 I have not been breaking news in the group chat. Yeah, you've kind of had the tea. You've had the tea, bro. I didn't break the news. Yo, hey, listeners, Mall is so offended to have the tea. You've had the tea, bro. I didn't break the news. Yo, hey, listeners, Maul is so offended to have the tea. Starting point is 01:16:29 Doesn't really the most affectionate guy. He's not the friend to come to you in your time of need and say, yo, fuck that bitch, while you're still missing your girl that you broke up with. That's exactly the guy that does it. That's exactly what you need in that time. You need the forever single friend to be like, come on. Yeah, she cheated on you. It's like, nigga, fuck that time. You need the forever single friend to be like, come on. Yeah, she cheated on you.

Starting point is 01:16:52 because we disagree. Y'all like that friend. Rory lied. I think he's necessary. Rory lied, because you be trying to just be cooler in front of Parks and Mall. You agree with me, nigga.

Starting point is 01:17:56 PC it up. You can't say fat people are funny. But what if they are, in fact, funny? It's offensive to say. Okay. I didn't know that uh you know what let me not just let me tell anybody what i didn't know yeah but you need both those friends you need the muddy friend immediately like right when the cheating or breakup happens you need the muddy

No, I'm not trying to be the next T.I. or Bill Cosby.
Starting point is 01:21:17 Hi, T.I. I love T.I. Gun laws in Jersey are different than Georgia. But T.I. did a great job of rebranding himself. 100%. Yeah, so it's like- Kobe as well. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:21:25 Cosby not so much. You know what's funny? This is how stupid I am, but I never thought that I was in dire need of a rebrand. That's how unaware I was. Until you had the rebrand. Damn, Savon bust out with a laugh from the side. Savon, Savon know how it was three years ago when he used to watch you on social media like, this nigga's fucking crazy.
Starting point is 01:21:44 I'm still crazy, though. Yeah. That's the thing. Y'all still want to media like this nigga's fucking crazy. I'm still crazy though. Yeah. That's the thing. Y'all still want a rebrand. I'm crazy still. I call you crazy every day, Joe, and you get mad at me for that. Probably for telling my business.
Starting point is 01:21:53 What else? I don't think he's telling any new information. Somebody wants to know your business, Joe. Just track seven. Last album. It's all there.
Starting point is 01:22:02 All the tea. Track one. From the intro. How you got all the tea about you on your album and they get mad when people in this business when they stop them in the street why you so nosy

Round of applause. Thanks. Round of applause. Fuck out of here with that round of applause. No? No. What else is important that happened? When I came in here, I feel like so much.
Starting point is 01:22:34 Are y'all up on the scandal that happened at Howard? The gentleman took almost half a million dollars from financial aid. Yeah, he was killing it. I'm not even mad at him. I need friends like that. Word. Those type of plans. Word.
Starting point is 01:22:46 Fuck the fuck that bitch friend. Who's the financial stealer? Yeah, how do you- He's a scammer friend. Yeah, but I'm talking about that type of scam, though. That's the type of scammer friends I need. He got sailing.
Starting point is 01:22:56 But why? He blew the whole bag on himself. I mean- I'm sure he got his friends drunk. That nigga was walking around slaying. That nigga had all the tie- tying top-notch shit. They said he had a media team. People would follow him with cameras around campus and shit
Starting point is 01:23:12 and just snap photos of him. See, he was helping his friends. That's lit. Yeah, that's dope. If I had that budget, I would have that too. How do you think you're not going to get caught? He didn't give a shit. Well, has he gotten caught?
Starting point is 01:23:26 He said he's fighting it. Well, of course he not going to get caught? He didn't give a shit. Well, has he gotten caught? He said he's fighting it. Well, of course he's going to fight it. I thought they said the whole team was out there, the whole school was out there protesting for him. They were singing, no, they were singing, bitch better have my money outside of the financial aid department. Like, where's my refund check? Are you lying?
Starting point is 01:23:42 I'm not lying, I swear to God, there's video. And they were swag surfing outside of it. See, I hate Ducey Palooza. Like, why? They started the swag surf shit. And we brought it back. We didn't start it. Why are people still swag surfing?
Starting point is 01:23:56 They seem to like it. Kids have nothing better to do. What should we be doing? Nothing better than swag surf. Like, playing Monopoly? Than swag surf. Yes. That's what they should all be doing nothing better than playing Monopoly than to swag surf yes that's what they should all be doing instead
Starting point is 01:24:06 also while we're on scams I was watching news this morning so I'll share this the scammers have breached five million credit cards from Saks Fifth yeah man
Starting point is 01:24:18 it was a stressful morning for me it was rocking I had to call a few of my friends to make sure it was alright oh did you call Icy? Chew.
Starting point is 01:24:27 Icy don't got the plug no more. No. Icy don't got the plug no more. Bill's probably got it. Chew. Why? Come on. What are we doing?
Starting point is 01:24:37 It's man Bill's. It's a common name. That's snitching on all of them. What else? What else? Something really important happened I wanted to touch on. All right, so tell me which way y'all want to go. Do y'all want to discuss the serious matter of Safari being robbed at gunpoint that Angie Martinez interviewed him?
Starting point is 01:24:58 We only saw a clip of the interview, but I'm sure by the time this is out, the interview will probably be out. But we can talk about that or we can talk about Felon Bay holding it down he needs an applause for sure found the bag the bag of all bags what bag was that? that's a rebrand, the top hat brand
Starting point is 01:25:18 what is it called? Top Shop billionaire heiress he bagged a billionaire. She's pregnant. Swaggy. Yeah. The bag.
Starting point is 01:25:29 They're calling him Felon Bay. They should stop calling him Felon Bay. He left his wife and kids to go get another wife and kid. With billions of. And bags. Yeah, that's different. Women don't like when niggas make money moves. I know, right? Yeah, I'm not. Get your coins, King. Yeah, that's different. Women don't like when niggas make money moves. I know, right? Yeah, I'm not. Get your coins,
Starting point is 01:25:48 King. Yeah, why... Why women don't like it? Because it's at their expense, and they wonder why we don't like it when it's at our expense. He bodied that shit, and he ain't said a word since the mugshot. He never said a word.
Starting point is 01:26:02 He got you the money. He's supposed to say that when you know the bag is on the line. Don't said a word. He got you the money. He ain't supposed to say nothing when you know the bag is on the line. Don't fuck it up. Can he talk? Does it matter? I do. That's the only time he should be talking.
Starting point is 01:26:13 As soon as he gets to the altar, I do. Was there a really bad headline that said, I guess crime does pay? Probably. Or if not, that was it right there. That was really bad. You were on a it right there. That was really bad. You were on a roll, Rory. I was purposely bad.
Starting point is 01:26:29 You were on a roll. Rory was on a roll. Well, who got the bigger glow up? Felon Bay or the Suits Chick who married Prince, one of them, Prince Henry's, Prince Harry. Felon Bay. Felon Bay, for sure. You went from jail to billions. I got famous off a mugshot. Felon babe, for sure. You went from jail to billions. I got famous off of Mugshot.
Starting point is 01:26:45 Word. Yeah, that's true. And now I have a billionaire's throne, pregnant. Yeah, the shave room. And I had kids and a wife before. Did that girl really think he was going to pull out? The shave room. Was she that dumb?
Starting point is 01:26:59 They should have signed him. They should have signed him. They should have moaned and have Monas got it Fell in bed They broke that nigga Yeah they did But congrats to him Alright come on To a healthy pregnancy
Starting point is 01:27:13 Congrats to him Yeah round of applause For fucking Healthy king or queen Yes more life More life More life Family goals
Starting point is 01:27:21 I hate that I say um so much I really do I speak too well say um so much I really do I speak too well to um I only say it because y'all are trash I love how passive aggressive Joe Button is Don't say my whole name more
Starting point is 01:27:35 That's your name Media man, rage Whatever you go by today I don't know Why do you keep media man in me? You media man yourself Because we follow Ian on Instagram Am I the most honest media man in New? Because we follow Ian on Instagram.
Starting point is 01:27:47 Am I the most honest media man in New York? That was you 20 minutes ago. You know, I did a whole family tree of New York media, and maybe it's my narcissism, but it all comes back to me. That's your narcissism. You have a lot of free time. Not true. Not true.
Starting point is 01:28:03 These mad people are swag surfing. You make family trees in your off time? I've known Charlemagne from South Carolina in 2001 before he was ever on New York radio. And that's how he got on? Just by knowing you? Yep, in my brain. In my story. Oh, my God.
Starting point is 01:28:19 And I told him he would be great on New York radio. And what do you know? He's great on New York radio. And then he got hired at Breakfast Club. Peter Rosenberg. Rory. Bumped into him in D.C.
Starting point is 01:28:29 at some fucking off-brand station somewhere. I don't remember, but they're not there anymore. And he was good. And I said, damn it, you'd be good in New York. And what do you know?
Starting point is 01:28:37 He's good in New York. Well, Joe, here's the thing. Let's see, who else? If you tell everyone they'll be good on New York Radio, chances are someone's going to be good on New York radio Angela Chances are Someone's gonna be good On New York radio
Starting point is 01:28:46 B-Bro Ack Anybody moving To New York media I'm related to somehow Cause you know them None of these people We know all of them
Starting point is 01:28:55 None of these people like you You're banned You're banned Yeah but to get banned You'd have to know them You're banned from the club So are you I never wanted
Starting point is 01:29:05 to go. Nah, I want to see a more Breakfast Club interview. Why? God, no. I would like to see that. I just would. Alright, so wait. Alright, Safari. Let's get to Safari. Safari, we don't know much, so we can't say much, but Safari
Starting point is 01:29:22 was robbed at gunpoint. This is per Angie Martinez. And that's all we know. I don't know. Was he on the way to Angie? Because he sounded still pretty shook up after it happened. It must have been pretty... Getting the gun in your face is never really...
Starting point is 01:29:38 Very true. But it felt like this shit happened in the lobby. The way he was talking. It probably happened in a lobby. I don't know, man. Safari. I don't know what they took, but he said they took everything. I don't know what everything means.
Starting point is 01:29:52 So he got robbed and still went and did a radio interview? Yeah. The guy that played Biggie got shot and did the interview when he was shot. The guy that played Biggie? Yeah, in the Chorus movie. What's his name? He's a rapper. Gravy? Gravy, yeah. Yeah, in the Chorus movie. What's his name? He's a rapper. Gravy?
Starting point is 01:30:06 Gravy, yeah. Yeah, sometimes it works in your favor. Where's Gravy? He's chilling. He's played in like six or seven other big movies. I'll trust you. What are you pulling up? Are you pulling up the actual?
Starting point is 01:30:24 Yeah, no, there's the video. I'm showing it to Maul. Well, plug it in if you want. So what I could say here... Oh, yeah, let's plug it in. Plug it in, Maul. Plug it in and play it. Maul.
Starting point is 01:30:33 No, wait. Can you stop laughing? No. Oh, man. Anytime we talk about something serious... So there is some more details rather than what we heard before. Oh, good.
Starting point is 01:30:42 So essentially the gentleman that did rob him followed him from his gig last night and held him at gunpoint. Two men have been caught and another got away. Safari's friends set him up, but I don't know if he knows that information yet. What publication is this, Saban? Police said two men in an Escalade
Starting point is 01:30:57 with no plates in New Jersey caught him by the George Washington Bridge. That's all I can say for now, according to whoever this is. That sucks. So, do you want me to play this? Yeah, play it. So, Safari is my guest today.
Starting point is 01:31:11 What's happening, first of all? Are you okay? I love Angie's voice. I just... Oh, man. Ma. Are these guys... Turn it up, Ma.
Starting point is 01:31:23 It's up. Park's is trash. What do you mean just now? Just like right now? A couple hours ago, I just got robbed. Two dudes with guns just ran up on me. Me face down on the floor with a gun to my head. They just took everything.
Starting point is 01:31:44 All right, so that's what we have. Rory says that fame says that this was set up by someone he knows. That's what it sounded like, yeah. That's not very nice. Well, I mean, usually it's somebody you have some relation to because they know where you're at all the time. That's true. But listen, I've been a supporter of Safaree on the show, but I don't think he needs to be running around with that much jewels and his shirt off and a fur coat every day in public and showing where he is and didn't think something like this might happen.
Starting point is 01:32:16 That is the lesson here. I agree with everything you just said. Safaree doesn't know how to move at all. No, here's the lesson. Why are you going to do an interview right after you got robbed and crying with angie the show must go on more no it must not if i just got robbed i'm staying home everything is canceled until i figure out what the fuck just happened i mean have you listened to angie's interviews she is pretty good at like i'm not going to solely people somebody just had a gun
Starting point is 01:32:39 in my head that's the last thing on my mind is doing an interview like that's the last thing i'm going home i'm i don't want to be around nobody but he was home when he got robbed he got robbed in his house no but he lives by the bridge and if they followed him from wherever he was then they caught him by his crib okay well whatever i'm not going to do an interview on radio and if he's been set up by someone he knows then they caught him at his crib young people millennials here is a very valuable lesson that I myself would not have known
Starting point is 01:33:14 if I did not meet and hang out with killers in my 20s and this is a lesson that maybe don't really is not so applicable today but I'll share it anyway. You have to play the mirrors always. You always have to play your mirrors. I know that they say good drivers have to play the mirrors, but that's not the kind of play the mirrors that I'm talking about.
Starting point is 01:33:38 If you can read between the lines, that's a common occurrence to be followed. that's a common occurrence to be followed, especially when the jig is there, when you're being set up. Especially if you're running around with a lot of money around your neck. Safari has been running around with a lot of jewelry on as of late. I said that to myself
Starting point is 01:34:01 when him and Berg were together somewhere or him and somebody was together. Envy and envy was super, super, super icy. And so was Safari. I know why envy is super, super icy. I wasn't sure why Safari was that icy. I see him pretty often. And in his regular downtime, he's not walking around like that.
Starting point is 01:34:22 But the big fur coats Safari is already already six three he's not a short person my point is he's easily identifiable he is famous he is famous there's this new age thing going on where where and i'm not a clout thing but where we just do the most for attention i'm not saying safari but just today that's a thing the internet has made people do the most for attention i'm not saying safari but just today that's a thing the internet has made people do the most for attention there's still some people that came up in a different generation around today just because they don't instagram or tweet or speak regularly they're still out there so when you are running around with a fur coat on and jewels doing the hundred dance, you have to be aware that you are being watched. Everybody is not having a grand time in life. Everybody is not fortunate enough to run to a club and pick up a quick bag.
Starting point is 01:35:18 Let me tell you something. I'm not the only nigga that has noticed. I'm not the only nigga that has noticed, hey, on this podcast a few weeks ago, maybe over a month ago, I said, and we brushed it off like we normally brush Joe off when he speaks about things in advance. But I said, hey, is anybody I'm getting tired watching Safari's Instagram. I said, this is it's exhausting to me. He's somewhere every day. And I said that as a big up. And then two weeks later later he went to the hospital for exhaustion let me tell you people while you are out there
Starting point is 01:35:52 collecting your bags that health is important the health has to come first or the bag will stop so that happened I hit him he said he was good and then he kept running around the furs out and all of this shit. Niggas have to move a lot wiser today.
Starting point is 01:36:10 I guess that's the long winded version of what I'm attempting to say. And if you moved wiser, these things would happen less. Yeah. But from what the story is saying, his friend set him up. So there's no way to move if your friends set you up. Sure there is. Because I think the word friend is used rather loosely amongst millennials.
Starting point is 01:36:28 Yeah, well, I mean, you know, that's... So then there's nothing to be said. I can say that Safari is probably one of the gentlemen who uses the word friend too loosely. Safari is one of those people, him, Ack, my son, they have this common trait
Starting point is 01:36:44 of this certain innocence. It's an innocence that doesn't exist with people that grew up when we grew up. How old is Safari? Safari is of age. He's 30-something. Yeah, I mean, he know what it is. Upbringing Maul. Upbringing Maul.
Starting point is 01:37:01 He's from Brooklyn, Andy Queens. Maul, don't do that. Don't do that, Maul. Don't do that, Maul. Don't do that. Don't do that, Maul. Don't do that. Come on. He from the streets. I'm talking about upbringing Maul. Come on, Maul. Don't do that mall don't do that mall don't do that don't do that mall don't do that come on
Starting point is 01:37:05 he from the streets I'm talking about upbringing mall come on mall don't do that it's Safaree from the streets it's Safaree from the streets is he not
Starting point is 01:37:11 his family no he's not mall his family is from Brooklyn great but we talking about the streets upbringing where did he grow up at where do it matter
Starting point is 01:37:18 it's Safaree street it does matter where you grew up at it's Safaree street he grew up in the hood I don't know alright then you gotta answer
Starting point is 01:37:24 those are questions we need to know no I wouldn't fire street nigga. He grew up in the hood? I don't know. All right then. You got to answer those questions we need to know. No, I wouldn't give a fuck if he grew up in the city of gods. What I'm saying is he knows. That nigga is not a street nigga. I'm not saying he's a street nigga, but he knows what goes on. He's not blind to the bullshit. Safari stood in front of a Los Angeles club talking to DJ Self. Okay.
Starting point is 01:37:40 During All Star weekend. What's wrong with that? I'm done with one. What's wrong with that? You can't with one. What's wrong with that? You can't stand outside of a club and talk to somebody? No, not when you have beef with the 30 niggas
Starting point is 01:37:49 that are pulling up. He didn't know they was pulling. That's circumstances. He didn't know that. It's all going to be circumstantial if you don't know how to move. You're going to always get put in a predicament
Starting point is 01:37:58 if you don't know how to move. I don't know Safari personally. I'm not going to say he don't know how to move. I know he's of age to know what goes on. You know that he's 6'3 and he wears colorful fur coats. Anybody can get robbed. That don't know how to move i know he's of age to know what goes on you know that he's six foot three and he wears colorful fur everybody could get robbed that don't mean nothing not any anybody can get
Starting point is 01:38:09 robbed anybody whether you know how to move or not you can get robbed my thing is you going on radio right after you get robbed and crying about it i'm not mad at that that what i'm not well you have a thing about men crying period not about me especially being recorded. Especially being recorded. Yeah, to me, that's weird. I'm not going to do an interview and I'm crying and I just got robbed. I'm not doing that. I'm going home. I'm going somewhere to be by myself. I'm probably going to go home.
Starting point is 01:38:33 I'm not going to the radio. I'm not doing no fucking interview. After a gun was in my face, I'm probably not going to the radio. I'm not staying in the spot where the gun was put in my face. No, I agree. But that doesn't mean the only other place is power. Yeah, but nigga robbed me. So now I have to go sit in front of Angie and cry. Yeah, I'd probably go doesn't mean the only other place is Power of the Wild. So now I have to go sit in front of Angie and cry. Yeah, I'd probably
Starting point is 01:38:47 go find my friends that also have firearms. Yeah, I'm not going to do... All of that celebrity shit is cancelled. I'm not going to do no fucking interview after Gunn was just in my face and I'm definitely not going to be doing the interview while I'm still shaking and crying. I'm not doing it. None of Rory's friends better have firearms and do city to city
Starting point is 01:39:03 festivals. Actually, they should. Not on the ones that we fly to. There we go. See, that's why you got to have somebody to drive to those things. That's why you check in. See? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:39:17 All right. Listen, I'm going to reach out to Safari and I hope he's okay. I hope he's okay too, man. That is a traumatic that is a traumatic experience um and that's how you know he's crying about it man come on which is why i said he's nothing wrong with him just i'm not saying i didn't say anything is wrong with him crying he got he just had a gun in your face no i know but you were i'm i was saying my point was safari is not a street nigga so you have to be aware. And then you started asking me a bunch of where he's from and his family.
Starting point is 01:39:47 Because that plays a part in it. You know how to move when you was born and raised in a certain area. You know the dangers that go on. Let me tell you something. Niggas robbed me in broad daylight on 145th Street. That's why I'm saying you can be robbed anywhere. Hey, it was a precinct right there
Starting point is 01:40:05 every time it was getting active it was always a precinct right there I don't know why people feel safe around precincts because the cops
Starting point is 01:40:13 don't think nothing is going on right there they're out I ain't gonna lie that nigga had balls on 145th in the daytime did you go see
Starting point is 01:40:21 Angie right after no alright case closed no I didn't but I No Case closed No I didn't But I mean in his defense I didn't have an interview scheduled I don't think that's the weirdest part here
Starting point is 01:40:30 But I understand what Maul is saying Other things you probably take priority Yeah it's like Fuck that interview Are you crazy? But then again I could understand thinking of Let me get this out
Starting point is 01:40:41 Before it leaks Or before it comes out See that's my problem. Who cares about, I don't give a fuck about leaking and footing stories. All the kids do. Safari's not a kid.
Starting point is 01:40:52 Stop calling him a kid. He plays to that crowd. I don't care what crowd. He's a grown fucking man. He's 30-something years old. I think that people are as old as the crowd that they are marketing to. Man, get the fuck, listen.
Starting point is 01:41:04 Because Ack is 28. I don't care how old Ack is. Ack is a... He's a hybrid. He's one of these new type of niggas that's running around out here. I don't...
Starting point is 01:41:13 I'm never talking to people like him. I let them do what they do. Safari knows how to move. I don't know Safari well, but I know that he knows how to move. I know that he's around niggas
Starting point is 01:41:23 that know what's going on in the streets and niggas that's active in these streets. That I know. Mall alert. to move. I know that he's around niggas that know what's going on in the streets and niggas that's active in these streets. That I know. Mall alert. So I'm not saying that crying is not, cry, you shaking up, I understand, but doing an interview? Nah, come on, fam. Nah, you can't do no interview after you just got robbed like that and you that shaking.
Starting point is 01:41:39 I'm not saying days later you can't go up to Angie and kick it, but hours later? Nah. I still got to get my shit together. Obviously, I'm still shaking up. I'm getting low. I'm not ready days later you can't go up to Angie and kick it. But hours later, nah. I still got to get my shit together. Obviously, I'm still shaking up. I'm getting low. I'm not ready to do no interview. I'm going to go pull up my Safari. He does sound shaken up.
Starting point is 01:41:52 As he should be. That's a scary thing to get a gun put in your face. That ain't nothing to play with. I have to know where this happened. It's tough for that. In New Jersey. It's real tough for that To happen on LeMoyne I don't think that was LeMoyne
Starting point is 01:42:08 I want to find out Think of that whole area There's a whole bunch of Cut streets over there Let's talk for a second It's a complicated area When you cross When you cross the bridge
Starting point is 01:42:17 Coming into New Jersey The key part is He was set up So it could be at his house That's what I'm saying It could be It could be I don't think it was Outside in the open It could be at his house. That's what I'm saying. It could be. It could be. I don't think it was outside in the open. It could be in the house somewhere.
Starting point is 01:42:28 A nigga is... That is not happening on LeMoyne. Impossible. Impossible. Because on LeMoyne, this is what happens on LeMoyne, especially at night. You know the cops. It's by the bridge. You get pulled over.
Starting point is 01:42:43 Five miles over the limit, you get pulled over. So there is cops. There are cops. It's by the bridge. You get pulled over. It's by the bridge. Five miles over the limit, you get pulled over. You're right. So there are cops there stationed 24-7, especially in the nighttime. Yeah, you're right. Niggas pulled me over there for not cutting the blinker on. So black men over, it's just very difficult for you to be outside on Le Moyne and Fort Lee. Yeah, but there's a lot of little cut streets over there. They said escalade without plates going over the GW.
Starting point is 01:43:08 Yeah, that's true. That's nuts. It's like Terra Alert over at the GW. Right. Something with no plates. No plates. That's crazy. But if it's off of one of those side streets, that's all feasible. Yeah, when you come off the bridge.
Starting point is 01:43:18 Through the hills and all that shit. I mean, people, no one cares what you're talking about right now because they don't live in New Jersey. They're probably so confused right now. You're right. Yeah. If he got caught on one of those side blocks, because you do have to take a side block to get to his house.
Starting point is 01:43:33 He probably got caught in his house. Or outside the house, coming into the crib. They're saying he was set up. He's probably right in his crib or in his garage, whatever, pulling in some shit like that We'll keep you posted I'm going to try to pull up On that nigga man
Starting point is 01:43:49 Because he did sound shaken up And that's all we got man Some people said We need to start bringing back The is it over for segment And if we did I have at least 20 names That we should talk about
Starting point is 01:44:00 Run them off No No No No Come on media man Yo would y'all stop With the media man No I'm not going to do that run him off no no no no come on media man yo would y'all stop with the media man
Starting point is 01:44:08 no I'm not gonna do that he calls himself media man and tells us why do y'all keep saying I call myself media man you do it might be in your twitter bio when I am addressing
Starting point is 01:44:16 the fans like why y'all trying to make me cornier than I am Joe you called yourself media man you said am I the most honest media man
Starting point is 01:44:24 don't but why you think it's okay to call me that? Because I call myself that. What you mean? Don't do that. If you keep referring to yourself as something, okay, that's what you want to be. All right. All right, so if I start referring to myself as, if I just start making up names for myself,
Starting point is 01:44:39 you rocking with it? Whatever you'd want to be, bro. You can be whoever you want to be. Don't want more. Rory, do you have any important announcements that we need to get to did you buy a new beard butter or some shit no i've stayed with the same one for a few years now i ran out gotta hit lush thanks so all we got man i'm getting the fuck out of here uh i hope that we did not offend anyone hopefully not too many news stories break
Starting point is 01:45:04 this week i thought that this would be a really hopefully not too many news stories break this week I thought that this would be a really crazy week for the news cycle but I could be wrong I could be wrong I'm open to being wrong about that
Starting point is 01:45:12 so I'm getting out of here I'm out Roseanne tonight I'm still not over that well they'll know by tomorrow but who y'all got in the NCAA championship tonight Nova by 14.
Starting point is 01:45:26 Damn. I got Michigan. Nigga said 14. Damn. Michigan struggled with Loyola. And Villanova had their way with Kansas. And you think they're about to shoot like that again? Absolutely.
Starting point is 01:45:38 Yeah. They locked in. Locked in. When you see the ball going like that, it's over. I know, but I'm saying You think they're gonna Be that locked in And the ball's gonna go In that way again
Starting point is 01:45:48 I don't think they're gonna Hit that many threes But they're gonna beat them By 14 It's gonna be an easy Not an easy But they're gonna win by 14 Alright
Starting point is 01:45:55 Hit Maul when he's wrong About this shit I don't think we're doing Afterthoughts this week I don't wanna see the game Burr what time is it The game is coming on Oh yeah
Starting point is 01:46:04 It starts at what 9.20 Oh shit we got sleepers Yo we dying to get out of here Come on let's play these Fucking sleepers And get the fuck out of here man I like the Monday vibe Of a podcast
Starting point is 01:46:16 I do I love Mondays Yeah Mondays are awesome I mean I could just keep Playing Shine more or less. Yeah, Rory. Rory. So you know what?
Starting point is 01:46:30 I'll go first. Fuck it. Rory, what are you playing? I'm going to play something off that St. John shit. Sabrina Claudio just put out a record, but I had already picked my sleeper by the time she put it out. So maybe I'll play that next week. Sabrina Claudio is a goddess. She's great.
Starting point is 01:46:43 That record is hard that she put out what's it called All To You yeah she had sent me that oh her manager had sent me that record before and it was hard before
Starting point is 01:46:51 but alright so I'm gonna play a record by I always I always pronounce this guy's name as Gordon Banks and every time I do
Starting point is 01:47:00 he gets angry about it and tweets me and he loves the fact that I support him so but he hates how I mispronounce his name what's his name he says it's pronounced Jordan Banks but
Starting point is 01:47:12 it's G U O R D A N Banks I mean I just thought it was funny because I'm the last person that should mispronounce anyone's name I should know how much that ticks people off so I'm going to play this record off of his album called Unpopular. And this album is an old album.
Starting point is 01:47:31 And this song is called Dear Friend. It's a vibe. It's a vibe. Spending my life with you I know we said it would never be the end Run tell your family I didn't do right by you But I can't continue living a lie with you Something I gotta do, yeah, yeah I know it's hard to finally say goodbye Oh, I I

I think her name is. And that's from Jordan Banks. Dear Friend, hope you enjoyed it. Who's going next, Rory or Moe?
Starting point is 01:51:58 I'll go. Go ahead. This is Childish Major, I Like You, featuring DRAM and Black. Okay. Starting point is 01:56:47 I don't know who produced that. That beat was dope. All right, I'm going to play St. John. Should I play Some Nights or Selfish? I'll keep the BPMs up, so I'm going less. All right, this is St. John off his new project. This record's called Selfish. This record's called Selfish. Ain't afraid to say I'm true Don't wanna lie to you Don't wanna promise something
Starting point is 01:57:28 Knowing that I can't come through Too soon for this discussion Both ignoring the rules Too close and then we're touching Now we're both confused But I know Something in the way you smell Something in the way you smile Something in the way you touch me
Starting point is 01:57:47 Maybe it's the way your eyes Come around Makes me wanna lay you down Tell you all the things we could be Tell me that you need me now Even though it's not allowed I wish we were both somebody else So you wouldn't need somebody else
Starting point is 01:58:11 I don't wanna lay here by myself Hope you forgive me now that I'm selfish I wish we were both somebody else So we wouldn't need somebody else I don't wanna live here by myself Ain't afraid to say I'm stupid Bring on to my soul And I know my weakness
Starting point is 01:58:43 Arms folded, both eyes closed Won't tell no one your secrets Some things we can't control You leave me with no defense Only thing I know is I'm yours Stuck in the way you smell Stuck in the way you touch me Baby, it's the way you wrap your arms around Makes me wanna lay you down Tell you all the things we could be Tell me that you need me now
Starting point is 01:59:14 Even though it's not allowed I wish we were both somebody else So you wouldn't need somebody else's I don't wanna lay here by myself Hope you forgive me, darling, I'm selfish I wish we were both somebody else's So we wouldn't need somebody else I don't wanna lay here by myself
Starting point is 01:59:51 Cause I'm your host I'm in too deep now Don't let me breathe Your love won't be filled By everything You're all I need now I love you. I wish we were both somebody else So you wouldn't need somebody else's I don't wanna lay here by myself Ain't afraid to say I'm selfish
Starting point is 02:00:50 That was St. John, Selfish. I like that record. That's probably my favorite song on that album. And I was really sad that he had to be from L.A. Reeds, Tampa. Some Nights is also really dope off that project. Roy, enough. I'm just telling people what's good on the project
Starting point is 02:01:06 to check it out. It is a good project and check it out. Did you guys see Sophia the Body saying that Beyonce fucked her way to the top? Oh, wait.
Starting point is 02:01:14 That was what was on my list. That was a real important topic on my list that I didn't write. Wait, play that clip. You got the clip?
Starting point is 02:01:23 Yeah, I retweeted it today. Before we leave, just play the clip. Sophia the Body fucked her way in. the clip? Yeah, I retweeted it today. Before we leave, just play the clip. Sophia the body fucked away with. I kind of feel like I broke that story this morning. Sophia body really confused me
Starting point is 02:01:32 about what a hoe was. See, this will be a good afterthought. The hoes will always confuse you. We're not going to do afterthoughts, so this is your afterthoughts
Starting point is 02:01:39 in the podcast. This is like the hoes will always... Maul wants to see the game, I want to see my baby, and Rory wants to look out his window Oh Damn it They deleted it
Starting point is 02:01:50 Oh, Blogzilla Blogzilla, why did you delete that clip? You knew she was getting killed Oh, man Savon, find a clip, man Blogzilla can't stop us Savon Colby can't find a clip, man Look, look at Savon's body Hey, we got a clip We got a clip of Sophia's can't stop us say von colby on the clip man look look at say von bodies hey
Starting point is 02:02:05 we got a clip we got a clip of sofia body explaining to us what a hoe is and it's just a little confusing so i'm gonna play it before we get out of here do you have the uh the adapter we have the adapter thing i don't think this is the full clip though how long is that 45 seconds the other one was like the one i saw oh okay that was long enough take the take the phone let's see here i hate that you got i saw the the full like i think it was like two minutes and 30 seconds of her explaining everything nah i never want to hear sophia body for two minutes and 30 seconds all right it kind of still does when people are talking about me and it's not true i don't give a fuck what you say about me if it's true.
Starting point is 02:02:45 Yeah. You know what I'm saying? We have to pause that. That's a lie when people say that. I might give a fuck more if it's true. You care if it's true. That's a bold-faced lie, Sophia the Body. I don't care.
Starting point is 02:02:58 A lot of guys will be like, hey, come, let's work, and then try to fuck. How do you deal with that? That's my line. Let's work. I mean,, and then try to fuck. How do you deal with that? That's my line. Let's work. I mean, it works better if you fuck. Like, everybody fucks to get to the top. By the way, in the full clip, she said she wasn't a hoe before that,
Starting point is 02:03:14 and she couldn't understand why people were calling her a hoe. And then said it's easier if you just fuck. Beyonce did it. Madonna. But you have to own that shit. But for me, for me personally, like I've gotten mad shit
Starting point is 02:03:30 without doing that. I just figured out why I love the podcast that we do. Because y'all put me in tune with the shit I would never know about. I would never listen to that. You would never know that Sophia the Body thinks that Beyonce fucked her way to the top? I would never click on anything that says Sophia the Body. I wouldn't listen to that. You would never know that Sophia the body thinks that
Starting point is 02:03:45 Beyonce fucked her way to the top? I would never click on anything that says Sophia the body. I wouldn't click on it. It's just certain shit I just don't click on. I see it and I'm just like, I don't give a fuck about that.
Starting point is 02:03:52 I'm with you, Mo. But saying that Beyonce fucked her way to the top is crazy. Anything Sophia the body says is crazy. No, but that is crazy. I wouldn't even care.
Starting point is 02:04:01 So Beyonce's not talented? Like her talent didn't take her places? Hov might have fucked her way to the top. Has Beyonce's not talented? Like her talent didn't take her places? Hov might have fucked his head at the time. Has Beyonce had relations? Hov might have used her. Yeah, has Beyonce had relations with guys? Absolutely.
Starting point is 02:04:12 Every woman has relationships with guys. I like mature, mature mall today. We got to start recording on Monday. No, no, no. You know what it is? You just got to. Tuesday, it'll be wild again. No, you got to really think about some things that people, like I don't really comment on
Starting point is 02:04:24 a lot of shit that people say because this era, this weird shit, people just feel like everybody has a... Everybody feel like they have a platform. Once you have Wi-Fi... Everybody has a platform. They all think their voice is important. Everybody doesn't have a platform, though. Everybody has access to social media, but that doesn't mean you have a platform.
Starting point is 02:04:39 Even some of these pseudo-celebrities feel like they have a platform. No, you don't. You don't have a platform. What shit that you say is irrelevant. Like, you say shit like that. No, seriously. You say shit like that
Starting point is 02:04:51 because you know what that's going to do. And that, to me, that's why this era is so weird to me because she probably doesn't really feel like that. I don't think she's that calculated.
Starting point is 02:05:01 About Beyonce. I'm not giving that to her. You would be surprised. I don't think Sophia Dabani calculated that she was going to use that. People sit home and they know when they're going to do interviews and podcasts and shit like that. And they know what they're going to say for shock value. That's like a new thing.
Starting point is 02:05:13 People know what to say that's going to spread like wildfire. And then they get home. I agree, but not with her. They get in their different circles. They get in their private circles and they say, yeah, that shit is going viral. People are playing themselves to go viral. People are saying shit they don't believe to go viral. People are doing corny shit to go viral.
Starting point is 02:05:30 That's why I hate this new, I mean, not that it's a new word, but it's become more popular, the clout thing. If that's clout, I don't want anything to do with clout. I'm not mad. If clout is internet clicks, I'm totally cool on clout. That's what people are on. That's the way. Now that we're talking about new age slang can y'all tell me
Starting point is 02:05:46 what cap is what is cap means like oh cat like pussy like you cat you pussy no cap I think that means
Starting point is 02:05:55 like no bullshit or like I'm serious like but what's the origin of this I think no cap supposed to be like real talk
Starting point is 02:06:01 like dead ass but what's the origin of it you know I'm not it's a Southern thing. I think it's from like Georgia, Atlanta maybe. It might be Atlanta. No cap.
Starting point is 02:06:09 Got nothing. Didn't mean either. I believe that's what it is. I could be totally wrong. I don't know. But when I see certain guys in interviews, it feels like dead ass or real talk. Yeah, it feels like a dead ass. It feels like, you know what I mean?
Starting point is 02:06:20 It feels like that. All right. I just want to know what the kids are saying. I don't know. People clown New York slang, but it makes mad sense to me. I think every New York slang, you could tell why we say that. Right. There's a definition to everything that we say.
Starting point is 02:06:34 I like all the little memes breaking down all the things that New York slang means. But we're biased in New York anyway. Yeah, but I think those jokes are getting a little old. Sophia the body should never. Tim Jokester was funny., but I think those jokes are getting a little old. Sophia the body should never. No, I think those jokes are trash. I think a lot of New York jokes are ass, but I'm biased. All right, well, did Sophia the body fuck her way to the top? That's the problem.
Starting point is 02:06:55 Is she at the top? That's the problem. When you decide to fuck your way to the top, but don't end up near the top. Word. You can't fuck your way to the meet. No, that's where talent comes in. You can fuck your way to a Mona check. That's why you got to give yourself more props.
Starting point is 02:07:13 Depending on what the Mona check is, though, that could be the top for some people. Oh, absolutely. That is the top for some people. Hell, that's their 10-year goal. That's their main. That is their cap. Their dream. Don't get it twisted.
Starting point is 02:07:24 Their cap. Is that really people's goals? What? Yeah, no cap. To's their main... That is their cap. Their dream. Don't get it twisted. Their cap. Is that really people's goals? What? Yeah, no cap. To get on Love & Hip Hop? Yes. Yes. Some people really feel like yes.
Starting point is 02:07:33 That's it. I can run off a slew of names. Absolutely. And you know I can because I said slew. Yeah, Nick ain't lying when he says slew. That's not a word you pull out when it's like false shit. I'm going to go home and think of some chicks that fuck their way to the medium. There's a lot of chicks that fuck their way to the medium.
Starting point is 02:07:53 Why don't we ever talk about that? There's a lot of chicks that fuck their way to the bottom. Yeah, there's a lot of chicks that just fuck their way. They just fuck their way. Like, I'm going to fuck. That's's it i have no plan after the fuck like this is it yeah chicks don't be having a plan no i'm telling y'all if i was a chick don't be having plans chicks don't be having real talent like that's why it's like you saying beyonce fucked away to the top what are you talking about oh wait so at another time there's a slew of the
