Starting point is 00:02:08 That's right. Savon is unavailable today because he don't give a fuck. No, he got a new podcast. He got his own podcast. You know, he the competition now. Damn, I didn't look at it like that. Savon hit me at 5 p.m. to say he wasn't going to make it. I was like, damn, that's kind of crazy.
Starting point is 00:02:29 So shout out to Savon, working from home. Gone but not forgotten. We love you. Parks is here. Maul Rory and Erickson is here. How is everyone feeling on this beautiful, beautiful evening? I'm great. Good. That's an interesting LA hat.
Starting point is 00:02:48 Yeah, a little different, right? It is. Who makes it? What is that? The new Paul George LA? Paul George LA. What does it say on the side? Paul and some cool text. His logo. Kill the hype. That's all. NBA players have logos. That's funny.
Starting point is 00:03:04 Wait, kill the hype? Yes, name the hat. Kill the hype. That's all. NBA players have logos. That's funny. Wait, kill the hype? Yes, and name the hat. Just the hat? Mm-hmm. Okay. And it matches your dress rings on your... You don't think you dress like a drug dealer, honestly. No.
Starting point is 00:03:19 I dress comfortable. Later, I got a real good question I want to ask you. Rory, how are you doing? I'm good. I'm good. How are you? I'm's comfortable. Well, I do have a, ooh, later, I got a real good question I want to ask you. Rory, how are you doing? I'm good. I'm good. How are you? I'm good. I'm good. I'm well.
Starting point is 00:03:29 I can't complain. Don't look me up and down. Don't do that. Yo, what's up, yo? Why do niggas do that, man? Here's this bedtime outfit you have on. That's some real travel hotel bedtime attire. It's that Tango Hotel right there.
Starting point is 00:03:41 Tango? Yeah. New Tango Hotel sweatsuit. Where's the Tango Hotel? You never heard of Tango Hotel? No. Noango? Yeah. New Tango Hotel sweatsuit. Where's the Tango Hotel? You never heard of Tango Hotel? No. No. You'll be up on it in a minute.
Starting point is 00:03:50 Don't worry about it. Oh, that's that new shit? So you're not going to tell me? No. Well, where is it? Is that like the Soho House? It's definitely in LA. Is that like...
Starting point is 00:04:00 No. It's not like Soho House. No. Okay. We're going to talk about Soho Owls later, too. That's on my list. Oh, Christ. All right, so good.
Starting point is 00:04:10 Now that I got these great one-word answers from all of my friends about how they're doing, because guys can't give more than that, right? No, you can't. That's why that is.
Starting point is 00:04:17 I can't really tell you how I'm feeling. Yeah, I'd be thinking it's just y'all, but that's just what you do. Yeah. All right, so I'm not mad at y'all. All right, so where do we begin this week?
Starting point is 00:04:27 I'm happy to see all you guys. This is one of those weeks I was anxious to get here. Last week, I was in a great mood until we had to talk about that bullshit that I will not discuss this week. So I was really happy to come here today and just, like, have fun with you guys. Yeah, fun day. Yeah, yeah. Let's have fun today. Did you go to the Met Gala with Puff yesterday?
Starting point is 00:04:48 No. Oh. Damn, I thought that would have been part of your rebrand. Maybe put on the green suit that Hov took. No, the frock. You killed it with the frock. And it was like a Catholic theme. You would have killed with the frock at the gala.
Starting point is 00:05:00 What? The godly frock? The godly. You know what's funny? I did think for a second. What? The godly frock? The godly. Pope Joe. You know what's funny? I did think for a second. See? If I was there, it'd be a frock.
Starting point is 00:05:11 Hell yeah. I've got to have the godly frock on. But then Rihanna came in with the frock. I'm like, oh, she biting my mind. There was a lot of frocks, actually. Pope Joe Paul. It would have worked. Yeah, it was a few niggas biting my mind, man.
Starting point is 00:05:23 Biting my mind. That's not a thing no um it works in court i'm glad you know what i'm glad that you brought up the met gala uh because i i didn't know how to bring it up i thought that was one of those things that i only knew about because i lived with a woman i thought i would come in here bring that up as the first topic and you you guys would make fun of me. We all follow women. Why I thought of you, because I saw Puff. You know Puff does the get ready dance videos on his Instagram? I was thinking to myself how annoying it must be to be his stylist or his barber when he's constantly dancing when he's getting ready.
Starting point is 00:06:01 It just looks like a lot. I'm pretty sure. I felt pretty bad for the whole team that was behind him. They're probably taken care of. Yeah. That's part of the deal. Yeah. I think they're well paid. A little extra for the dance and cut.
Starting point is 00:06:16 Before we get into the Met Gala, though, I want to get into you guys. Maul, you had something you wanted to ask Maul, right? We should start there. Then you can tell us about your birthday. You had a birthday, right? Let me give a round of applause for my guy 27 again yes hey third year running you've been 27 a long time 28 now uh he jumped up one year well that's usually what happens in three years no the next year. 27 goes to 28. How old were you when I met you? 22, 23. Oh, knock it off, buddy.
Starting point is 00:06:49 All right. Yeah, I want to get into your birthday, but ask more of what you was trying to ask him. Well, I was a little concerned that he had announced his retirement from weed because I know it's a big part of your life. Oh, yeah, man. I'm just, I don't know. I'm just trying to see How long I could just Not smoke But I'm like that though Like when I gave up red meat
Starting point is 00:07:08 When I gave up chicken Like once I decide To give something up I'm usually done with it So But those are unhealthy things Weed I wouldn't say Is something that's unhealthy
Starting point is 00:07:15 I mean it can be unhealthy Like if you know what I'm saying It becomes something that You know You feel like is Slowing you down This nigga swear You're a Scientologist
Starting point is 00:07:23 No for real though. That shit was having me like being high all day. That shit is whack, man. Yeah, I can't be high all day. I love weed, but I can't be high all day. I listened to Royce's album
Starting point is 00:07:33 and quit alcohol for like an hour or two. I was like, yo, I hear you, Royce. This is bad. I was drinking while I was listening to it, but yeah, I feel you.
Starting point is 00:07:39 What is Maul doing that weed is slowing him down? Nobody wanted to ask him? Come on. I hate when y'all be thinking stuff and leave it to me to do it. That shit really slows you down, though. That shit just puts you in a cloud. I'm just tired of that shit.
Starting point is 00:07:55 So you're not high right now? No. Those are just your eyes? Have you seen anything change since you retired? Hold on. Stop looking at me like that. Don't look me in my eyes and tell me I have nice eyes. Yo, you know what's funny?
Starting point is 00:08:07 For the last four weeks, I've been dying to fucking call him on, curse him out for coming in here super high. But those are just your eyes. You got nice eyes, man. Own that shit. I'm uncomfortable. I'm uncomfortable, too. Really?
Starting point is 00:08:18 Yeah. Oh, well, when we get to the Met Gala talk, I'm pointing out that Wiz looks good, man. Did y'all see Wiz? You saying that because he can fight now. I'm saying that because he can fight now. I always could fight, so I'm not saying that because of that. But Wiz looks...
Starting point is 00:08:38 It was a good brown suit. But him in the suit. Oh, so you did see... Come on, man. I see you know about the Met Gala. I saw the picture. You couldn't help but see the suit. I saw you did see. Come on, man. I see you know about the Met Gala. I saw the pics. Yeah, you couldn't help but see the pics. I am.
Starting point is 00:08:48 No, no, no. Every chick had their whole Insta story with every chick. I didn't see none of the Met Gala but I know what everybody had on. I don't remember the colors of the suits.
Starting point is 00:08:56 I didn't even know the Met Gala was last night until I opened my Instagram. Well, first of all, can you see it? Is it televised? I think it is. How was everybody able to see it?
Starting point is 00:09:04 What happens there? They just show people coming in, I think it is. How was everybody seeing it? What happens there? It's just the... They just show people coming in, I think, to the party, to the event. Oh, okay. Okay, now. All right, so... Wait, do I want to take this opportunity to make fun of you guys for knowing about the Met Gala? You can't help but know about it.
Starting point is 00:09:17 As soon as you open up Instagram, it's on everybody's page. No, you kind of sweet for that. Yo, if I remember... I didn't know it was yesterday until I went on Instagram. Y'all knew exactly what Wiz had on when I went to it. Like, y'all ain't even front.
Starting point is 00:09:30 Because everybody was posting the same pics. Okay, so now, if y'all saw the pic, tell me y'all didn't see it and think that nigga looked good. He looked good. I didn't think that.
Starting point is 00:09:39 I thought his suit was nice. I didn't look at Wiz and be like, whoa. Yo, one day in... Damn, Wiz. Yo whoa one day damn Wiz yo one day on my other podcast that I am not gonna start
Starting point is 00:09:49 we're gonna talk about the fucking emasculation of men and how we just can't even be vulnerable we can't even be vulnerable we just have to be tough all the time
Starting point is 00:09:59 no I didn't look at Wiz and think oh he looks good I didn't think that I'm saying I'm not saying he didn't but I didn't think that I looked at him in the suit And said alright
Starting point is 00:10:06 I see where all The MMA shit is You know what I mean Oh you was looking At his shoulders Is that why you quit weed Why Cause maybe Wiz did
Starting point is 00:10:14 And he was looking better Wiz quit weed He looked like he quit weed Nah I'm not I don't think he did Getting high And playing MMA Is wild though
Starting point is 00:10:21 That's nuts Y'all are laughing at me But I tweeted this a little while ago, maybe a few weeks ago. You missed one week of working out. It's over. All your little form-fitting everything is
Starting point is 00:10:35 over. I threw on one of the little long john shirts that used to look good on me. I think you've missed more than a week, Joe. It just draped a little different. I know what you're talking about. Oh, my God. I think you've missed more than a week. It's always the long john shirts, too.
Starting point is 00:10:49 Get the fuck out of here. You've definitely missed more than a week. Thank you. I know. But the point still stood if you miss a week. Same thing. You're right. But yeah, man.
Starting point is 00:10:57 I can't wear little long john things anymore. Even this little Lulu. All that Lulu shit, you got to chill out on. That's crazy. See how you just came in here and snapped on me from Rip? Last time I looked all like this. And now I just look like some pajama shit when your body's trash. What age is a man supposed to have a trash body, though?
Starting point is 00:11:20 What year is it acceptable? Yeah. After 35. Because I've been let go of myself. Listen, first of all, chicks don't care what you look like anymore. But wait, that's not my word. Why does it matter? You guys haven't let go of yourselves yet?
Starting point is 00:11:32 I'm trying to get myself back. So you have let go of yourself? I didn't let go of it purposely. Not purposely. You lost a grip? I just got to say, I've loosened my grip a little bit. I started eating bullshit. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:11:45 Like not working out, not playing ball. See, this is kind of like the other podcast. And the older you get, like that shit don't, you can't shed them pounds quick enough, man.
Starting point is 00:11:54 When you was like 28, 29. Have you turned everything into like a dietary conversation? You just said about looking good in your clothes. Oh, man, I lose myself, period. Yeah, that goes to the diet, though. That goes to your diet.
Starting point is 00:12:06 No, I mean everything. Oh. He's talking about his life. We just stop caring. No, no. You wake up some days and just not care. Oh, hell yeah. See, come on.
Starting point is 00:12:13 Yeah, don't leave me on the island alone. More often than the days I care. Yeah. I don't care more than I care. All right, come on now. Let's get back to the Met Gala. Since y'all know everybody's outfit, what did y'all think of the Black Panthers outfit? I like the ducé crosses.
Starting point is 00:12:28 I like the cape, yeah. That shit look like, yeah, like golden herpes all over that outfit. What? That shit look like royal herpes. Cassie look great. Damn, I miss Cassie. Yeah, she look great. Well, we know more things.
Starting point is 00:12:40 Cassie look great. Yeah. She's amazing. She always looks great. Yeah. That is true. Well, yeah, I'm about to say, when does Cassie not look great? Right. I just said she looks great. I just wanted to throw that out there. R Cassie looks great. Yeah. She's amazing. She always looks great. Yeah. That is true. Well, yeah. I'm about to say, when does Cassie not look great?
Starting point is 00:12:46 Right. I just said she looks great. I just wanted to throw that out there. Rihanna look great. Per usual, yeah. I would join her Pentecostal church or whatever she was from. Yeah. If she wanted me to join Scientology. I would pay my tithes.
Starting point is 00:12:58 I asked her what the theme was for the Met Gala. She told me it was Holy Ghost. No. That's a Spanish response. I interpreted that to be Catholicism. It was something along those lines. They said what it was, but I forgot. Well, everybody's outfit looked a little Catholic to me.
Starting point is 00:13:20 If the Catholic Church and I part of it. Listen, let's just keep it real. It was a big-ass Illuminati meeting last night. It was some eyes wide shut show a little bit. Now let's get to the shit because that's what I wanted to start out with. I'm too broke to know what the Met Gala event
Starting point is 00:13:33 is. Me too. I don't know how people get invited to it. I don't know the criteria to get invited to it. I used to think it was money too. I saw a lot of people there last night that I have more money than. I ain't be honest with you. There's a few people there that were able to sneak in. People that spend money
Starting point is 00:13:49 and are known for spending it. You're not one of them. Is it a fundraiser? Oh yeah, I wouldn't be spending it. You gotta pay $10,000 I think. No, you gotta pay $30,000 to get in and then it's like $275,000 for a table. That's what I read on Twitter. Guess how much I had to pay to watch Instagram. $275,000. I don't for a table. That's what I read on Twitter, which means it's true. Guess how much I had to pay to watch Instagram.
Starting point is 00:14:06 $75,000. I wish a nigga, man, if you don't get the fuck out of here. Jaden Smith showed up with his gold plaque. I thought that was dope. That was swag. That jacket was hard that he had on. I like Jaden Smith. I like that we're sitting here talking about outfits, man.
Starting point is 00:14:19 I thought it was just going to be me. We forced to. I was forced to say, hey, she looks great last night. I'm just looking at Instagram. She looks great. All right. So what?
Starting point is 00:14:27 Who looked great? Who won? Who won it? Who won the night to you? Who wore it better? Between Rihanna and Rihanna and who was it?
Starting point is 00:14:42 Rihanna and maybe J-Lo. I didn't see J-Lo. I wasn't really into J-Lo's outfit, man. For real? Yeah. I think Rihanna was great, though. I don and maybe J-Lo? I didn't see J-Lo. I wasn't really into J-Lo's outfit, man. For real? Yeah. I think Rihanna and J-Lo. I don't think J-Lo should dress like that anymore. I mean, it was...
Starting point is 00:14:52 J-Lo, look, reminded me of the hot teacher. She gets that age, though. I'm waiting for you to say something wrong. What's wrong with the hot teacher? Word. I think J-Lo is... I think she's so beautiful That she could body any look
Starting point is 00:15:07 Oh no wait wait wait You know who looked great Well I was just trying to explain about my My bad I forgot her name but Terrence J's girlfriend She looked amazing You're naming people that always look amazing Nope I'm just saying last night
Starting point is 00:15:22 She probably her and Rihanna to me probably Were the best dressed last night And Cass probably, her and Rihanna to me probably were the best dressed last night. And Cassie. Yeah, I saw some people trying to say, they must ain't really see Rihanna outfit really.
Starting point is 00:15:33 No, Rihanna. That shit was crazy. But her outfit made me wonder why, like, why am I so poor? Well, no, I often ponder that.
Starting point is 00:15:42 But, but, no, her outfit made me wonder, like, why is her glam team so much better than everyone else's? Well, she's in that world now. She cares probably more. She's surrounded by wealthy people all with resources and the same. Like, why does she look better than everybody all of the time? Her swag is just...
Starting point is 00:16:06 Yeah, she has natural style. Yeah. It's her. It's Rihanna. Yeah. It's what she's wearing, plus it's her style. It's her... And they can all pay people, but Rihanna knows who to pay because she's in that world and
Starting point is 00:16:19 knows the best person to reach out to. I think at this point, Rihanna could style herself. I don't even think she would need a style team. I don't think she has the time to do that. Yeah, maybe time, but I mean, she can definitely pick shit out on her own. She knows how to wear it. What did you guys think of... This is so non-us.
Starting point is 00:16:34 No toxic masculinity at all. I'm feeling it. I kind of like it. I'm trying to broaden our audience a little bit. I'm definitely going to knock a nigga out on Stein when we leave. Just to get my stripes back. Yeah, I got to get my stripes back after this.
Starting point is 00:16:47 Somebody get laid down. What did y'all think of Kim? She looked good. But Kim always looks good, though. Especially at events like that. She's another one with a team that's not going to let her look anything less than, you know, amazing. She looked good, though.
Starting point is 00:17:03 We have to keep Janelle Monáe away from Burlington Coat Factory. She look good, though, last night. Where do people get tuxedos from? Well, Janelle Monáe has probably more tuxedos than anybody. She didn't go to Burlington Coat Factory. All right, so tell me where people get tuxedos from. Where? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:17:23 They got to keep her out of the big and the little and small. Portobello on Fordham. You can go get one. Portobello. You can get a nice tux. Yeah. You can go get a nice tux. Why does she always
Starting point is 00:17:33 just have to give us the tux? That's her look. That's her. Nah, but she's cute. She just brought a video where she's not in a tux and she looks fire.
Starting point is 00:17:42 Oh, wait. We were doing so good. Let me not sexualize her. She looks great. Yeah, Janelle Monae is fine. Yeah where she's not in a tux and she looks fire. Oh, wait, we were doing so good. Let me not sexualize her. She looks great, yeah. Janelle Monae is fine. Yeah, she's... All right, you guys don't sexualize her either.
Starting point is 00:17:51 No, I'm just saying she is. That's not a secret. And her album is real good. We never got to it, but her last album is good. It took me a minute to get into it. It's a little more...
Starting point is 00:17:59 There's some more poppy things that I guess was a little bit... She was experimenting. Yeah, she was, but it was good. How do y'all feel about artists experimenting? When it's dope, it's dope.
Starting point is 00:18:07 When it works. When it works, it's great. When it's not, we gonna kill you. When it's the love below, it's great. When it's not. When it's one of the greatest
Starting point is 00:18:16 albums ever, right? When it's 808? Yeah, yeah. That's just fine. That's a hard experiment. Why fans don't let niggas experiment? All right, we're not doing that right now. Back to the Met Gala. Fucking... Okay, comeas experiment? Alright, we're not doing that right now. Back to the Met Gala.
Starting point is 00:18:25 Fucking, um... Okay, come on. Since we're not doing masculinity, can we get to the tea? Cardi and Nicki taking pictures together? At the gala? This podcast is mad different. What's going on? I don't know. I wish Maul would've brought that up.
Starting point is 00:18:42 You know what I noticed about Maul? He tried to let us bring up the Nicki stuff. So he could always. Because y'all called me a barb. So it's like, I got to just shut up. No, they call me a barb too sometimes. No, they don't. You called yourself a barb.
Starting point is 00:18:55 See, look. You called yourself. You came on here after you was on the live stream and called yourself a barb. No, I think all of us were barbs at one point. Okay. All right, man. stream and called yourself a barb now i think all of us were barbs at one point okay all right no there was there was a time where i was championing nikki as a better rapper than men i think a lot of a lot of us i'm joking with the term barb but yeah i was saying that yeah i forgot what year that was but after monster i can't say that today she's better than some guys i know i know she's been a lot of
Starting point is 00:19:27 the niggas what i'm saying is we don't hear from her consistently enough for me to say that she like back then i was saying she was better than all the great people like whoever niggas had as one two three four and five i thought she was in there somewhere okay so today i don't know if her if she's put out enough but But let's get to it. Come on, Maul. You saw the pick, man. You took the pick. I think Maul was there.
Starting point is 00:19:53 In a Nike Tech. No. A Nike Tech tux. A Nike Tech tux. Shit, that's what Virgil wore. Y'all said he looked amazing. I didn't say. I don't even.
Starting point is 00:20:03 I never said that about Virgil. Not you. Not you. Virgil. Not you. Not you. Not you. Know what's funny? Not you. Thank you. But people said he looked amazing.
Starting point is 00:20:11 I want to know why people, I know that Virgil is well liked and he is a high ranking official in our culture. Mm-hmm. And I did think his tux was fly. Super fly. I thought that,
Starting point is 00:20:22 I did think, yeah, he did look amazing actually. He could have super fly'd it. Did y'all see the trailer for that movie? For super fly? Yeah. Yeah, I did think his tux was fly. Super fly. I thought that. I did think. Yeah, he did look amazing, actually. He could have super fly'd it. Did y'all see the trailer for that movie? For super fly? Yeah. Yeah, I did.
Starting point is 00:20:30 Okay. We'll talk about that later. Didn't we talk about it? Did we? We first got announced. I have never talked about it. Yeah, I've never talked about it. I could have sworn we did.
Starting point is 00:20:37 No, I'm not mad at what Virgil had on, but I'm a little tired of the just write some shit on the sole of the sneaker and you got an exclusive. I'm a little tired of the just write some shit on the sole of the sneaker and you got an exclusive. I'm a little sick of that. Like, because he wrote for the carpet only. Now the ones is like, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on. I know you, Virgil. I know. Yeah, I get it.
Starting point is 00:20:55 I get it. I know the game. I feel the same. I salute to you. But I thought that suit was a little too fly for that move. I'll say that. But let me also say that Virgil knows Virgil has forgotten more about style than I will ever learn. So let me be clear on that.
Starting point is 00:21:10 But that's kind of the sneaker shit, though. Like when people was trying to find the threes with the Nike check rather than the Jordan logo. Like finding something exclusive. It's like what DJs used to do. Finding exclusive. I thought it was dope only because he actually wore J's on the red carpet. I like that he was wearing his shit. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:21:28 Like, I'm not mad at that. And I do like the style of the tux and the sneaker thing. Yeah, Virgin was kind of fly, actually. Yeah, I don't know why I tried to hate him. I would have liked to see him. The jacket was crazy. The jacket he had on was crazy You know how he bodied it?
Starting point is 00:21:46 Don't That little clutch Yo this podcast is nuts Well the word is not a clutch I'm telling you It was some accessory That was in his hand His wallet?
Starting point is 00:21:56 It wasn't a wallet A murse I don't know the specific word for it Because I'm a real ass nigga So But It matched all that shit That he had on his tux He caught that I don't know the specific word for it because I'm a real ass nigga. So, but, it matched all that shit that he had on his tux.
Starting point is 00:22:09 He caught that. The chick from Quantico. That's what you said? Yeah. The chick from Quantico looked great too. Wait, how do, she always looks great too. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:22:14 Hey, how do y'all compliment other men? I see you. Yeah. Yeah. I see you. I see you, my nigga. That's how you gotta compliment another dude Anything other than that
Starting point is 00:22:26 It's like alright fam Hold on Or just a I Yeah Alright Okay I see what's going on See how you did those
Starting point is 00:22:31 Yeah That's it You can't go Nah nah nah nah nah It's not a level higher Maybe like You hold the dap a little longer Nah I'm not doing that
Starting point is 00:22:39 I'm not doing that I see you my nigga I've done that before I've held the You've held the dap just a little longer than usual? I've held the dap a little longer to observe you. No? To observe you.
Starting point is 00:22:52 To see what's going on. Look you in your eyes. Feel your hand. What's up? Okay. I've done that. I think there's another level you could go up from. I see you, though.
Starting point is 00:23:03 Oh, there's another level, but now you're entering a dangerous zone at the next level, though. No, that got to be your friend. Yeah. Yeah, at that point. You can't just compliment a stranger past,
Starting point is 00:23:12 yo, I see you. Yeah. We good. I think that's all I have. And another way to compliment a dude that's fly, you got to say
Starting point is 00:23:19 he don't look fly. Yeah, like cut only... Fuck out of here with them bum asses. But really, you know what I mean? It's really dope. You got to shit on niggas But really, you know what I mean? It's really dope. You gotta shit on niggas
Starting point is 00:23:27 sometimes, but it's, you know what I mean? At the end of the night, you're like, nah, my nigga, you killed that. Yeah, that's true.
Starting point is 00:23:33 All right. I agree with that and I understand it. My only problem with that is when I'm shitting on niggas, I want y'all to know that it's truly shitting on niggas. It's not a compliment.
Starting point is 00:23:42 So, I'm never complimenting y'all that way. Got it. All right, come on. Nicki Cardi, give it to me. I don't know. All right.
Starting point is 00:23:54 Was it just for the red carpet? I think that was inside. It looked like they were indoors. But I've been saying a lot of the times where we pit Nicki against other female artists it's really the people doing it
Starting point is 00:24:08 I don't think it's really they really have issues with each other I agree until that Nicki interview okay let's get to it see Rory I like that Rory knows
Starting point is 00:24:16 about all this get him Rory yeah wait before that Nicki interview let's address some things which one Vogue
Starting point is 00:24:22 the Zane Lowe okay I'm talking about the zane one oh i'm talking about vogue so maybe rory doesn't know some things all right so let me let me just last night last night or the day before or the day before my memory's bad so i don't know tokyo the hairstylist in question the one that nikki says was stolen from her posted receipts of him in fact doing cardi's here before nikki i think that was last night this was on snap right so that happened then that picture occurred on the red carpet and let me just say before i continue the story i'm too broke to even know
Starting point is 00:25:02 what goes on inside of this place like what are what are they doing there? After everybody takes these pictures and does these interviews, where the fuck are they going? Have you seen Eyes Wide Shut? Are they going to eat? Wow. They're going to sacrifice. Someone died.
Starting point is 00:25:15 Yeah, where's French? Was he there? He'll tell us. No, I'm just saying, I don't want to make sure niggas is good. Anybody you ain't seen? Yeah, come on, man.
Starting point is 00:25:25 I saw who went in, but who went out of that place? Right. What was I saying before we just went off there? Nikki's. Oh, Nikki. All right, so the picture. So I looked at the picture, and I know this was Cardi's first time, or she's new to this type of shit.
Starting point is 00:25:41 Cardi Faye's going to always tell you the real story. Cardi has not yet learned how to really mask how she feels cardi is still cardi so i looked at cardi's face and it looked like uh nikki looked like nikki i didn't take anything away from that because i'm trying to start with a clean slate here where i just judge them individually and don't do that right okay but homeboy's face in the back that that was the snitch who's homeboy he was a designer he was a designer oh who's the designer for mark jacobs if savon was here i would ask him i think that's who he was whoever designed cardi's dress that night know, because you have to walk in with designers or a lot of people walk in with designers.
Starting point is 00:26:26 Cardi walked in with the gentleman who designed Nicki's dress last year. That's important here. I have brought up the picture for those that have not seen it. That's the picture. We need that gentleman's name. Jeremy Scott.
Starting point is 00:26:41 Jeremy Scott. Jeremy Scott. Look at Erickson putting in overtime. Thank you, Erickson. You my guy, man. Head of content. That's the same Jeremy Scott that makes the sneakers? Okay. Jeremy Scott,
Starting point is 00:26:53 I'm pretty sure, and I could be mistaken. Somebody correct me tomorrow when it's too late. I think he designed her dress last year. That was big that he's even walking in with Cardi B. Matching Cardi B, by the way. His that was big that he's even walking in with Cardi B. Right? Matching Cardi B, by the way.
Starting point is 00:27:07 His face. Man, he's not even looking at her. But go ahead. He's not looking at who? He's not looking at neither of them. He's looking past this way. I interpret that face totally different than you. See, this is how it sounds.
Starting point is 00:27:23 It's all interpretation. Parks and Mall look at this picture look at Jeremy Scott's face and tell me how y'all interpret it looks like an awkward situation a little bit yeah but pictures
Starting point is 00:27:33 I mean we don't know what happened right before that someone could have farted but does it look like he's looking away like Rory said or does it look like like he's a little perturbed
Starting point is 00:27:44 looks like I mean it looks like I like he's a little perturbed looks like I mean it looks like I'm not sure what's happening but I know something is happening trying not to catch eye contact with Nicky now his face
Starting point is 00:27:53 with Cardi's face made me say alright I clearly know how they felt about this situation and this picture and this moment and then later on nikki
Starting point is 00:28:06 does an interview with i want to say vogue uh and nikki announced her album release so we'll get to that as well nikki announced uh uh she did an interview with vogue and in her little short soliloquy that she got off she just just mentioned how she was, you know, she threw the lightweight shade out there and said, she's the only person who writes. So this is all what happened. And I'm, I want to say, and I could be wrong here to that was after the picture.
Starting point is 00:28:37 Now that's just, if that's me theorizing, because there are some other pictures where they got it together, where they don't look so awkward where it looks like they might have even had a decent conversation with with one another well you know what they should be able to do because tension should be should be settled cardi's album is out uh not only that i mean when you know you know how it is with women when one woman is pregnant it's a different level of yeah one woman is pregnant, it's a different level of...
Starting point is 00:29:06 Yeah, Cardi's pregnant. It's a different level of, no, you know what? We buried that hatchet. You look great. Congratulations. That type of conversation. I don't know. Hey, this is...
Starting point is 00:29:16 You can't be beefing with a pregnant woman. That's true. Yeah, but you can't wait for her to have the baby. She don't have the baby. That's what I'm saying. She's pregnant. She's pregnant. So, you know, Nikki, if she had an issue, she definitely wouldn't address it while she's pregnant. you know Nikki would if she had an issue she definitely wouldn't address
Starting point is 00:29:28 it while she's but I'm not on that I'm not on that this podcast uh Cardi don't need that energy pregnant Nikki don't need that energy working on music and releasing music so uh I didn't like I didn't nah I mean I say I didn't like I'm just over that style announcement but I understand why Nicki would want to announce her album there
Starting point is 00:29:49 in that setting on an interview like she broke it she just walked up to one of the interviewers and broke it now
Starting point is 00:29:57 well I'm sure I'm certain that the audience was large and like that was a great place to do it and I'm sure that interviewer knew I'm sure that wasn't just a
Starting point is 00:30:06 oh there's someone. I just would you know you're right. I would just like a more unique way for not just her anybody to do it. Or just no announcement at all. I don't know niggas probably even made that a little corny.
Starting point is 00:30:21 I think a lot of artists realize they need it when i'm if you look at the scope if you look at the scene and i'm know that niggas are starting they roll out a whole lot earlier it's going back to the old eight week ten week even now shit nicky announced their album for june what 25th something like that it's may 8th true That's a lot of time. That is a lot of time. Yeah. And if you add to that the time that they've spent, if we start from when they put the records out, you're looking at a 10-week rollout, right? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:30:55 And I mean, Drake didn't give a date, but it was far away from June. It was far away from June. That's true. Yeah, I'm not mad at that. I'm not mad at that going back to that. It was a phase, and I think a lot of I mean Drake and Nicki I think could do it The pop up way
Starting point is 00:31:08 If they wanted But I think a lot of artists Realized I can't do that I gotta give myself some time Cause that was the wave For like Half a year Where everyone wanted
Starting point is 00:31:16 To go that way 2 Chainz proposed I saw that Yeah Let me get the round of applause For my nigga 2 Chainz Man They looked great.
Starting point is 00:31:27 All right, who's ready for a corny joke? So I guess in the future, he'll be two rings. Or they'll be two rings. Nah, don't worry about it. No, I'm not worried about it. The one thing I'm worried about it's not that bum ass joke you just told maybe work on the delivery
Starting point is 00:31:47 you know what that was freestyling freestyling I was freestyling that was you wrote that joke that's why you gotta pick up a pen
Starting point is 00:31:54 I didn't write that joke you wrote that joke you was in the corner talking this morning I hate that y'all do that man alright what else do we need to talk about
Starting point is 00:32:03 from Met Gala cause we already talked about Met Gala for mad long. Well, I want to know who Met is and where that name comes from. Because I didn't see not one Met player there. Did y'all see the alleged beatdown outside? Who beat down? We had to Met Gala?
Starting point is 00:32:21 There was an alleged beatdown? People keep recycling that same picture with dude with the white suit falling down the stairs talking about there's somebody different every year. Every year, this year they said
Starting point is 00:32:30 it was Jason Derulo that fell. It's the same picture from the last four years. Well, did it look like Jason Derulo? I think it was a movie or something
Starting point is 00:32:38 like one year that they were filming and somebody was like doing that on the carpet. But they said it was Jason Derulo this year because you can never tell who it is
Starting point is 00:32:44 because the way the person is falling but whoever had a white suit on that year so it's jason derulo this year there was pick they were sending pictures around of just the red stairs saying wow even when beyonce doesn't try and she kills it yeah that was pretty cute wait oh no she stick with the theme she was the holy ghost yeah oh yeah that was hilarious um
Starting point is 00:33:08 fucking um no more what am I saying no alright outside a fan tried to get an autograph from someone who
Starting point is 00:33:15 looked like Cardi as she was walking with someone who looked like Offset all this is allegedly and then they got in the car
Starting point is 00:33:21 with some other people allegedly and then the fan kept screaming shit outside like oh you gonna beat me up over autograph word
Starting point is 00:33:30 and then it looked like somebody got out of one of the vehicles along with some other people and pounded him out oh damn and there's footage
Starting point is 00:33:41 running around so well I guess if you're doing all that that does call for a little ass whooping. Yo, I want to tell y'all. Trying to get an autograph. Hey, let me.
Starting point is 00:33:49 Who gets an autograph anymore? I believe that fans should be, certain fans should get the shit beat out of them. I agree with that. I stand by that. And let me not say fans, because you don't know if they're fans. Some people just be doing too much.
Starting point is 00:34:04 They just be getting a little crazy with their fucking little smartphones yeah like i'm not incriminating myself listen one time me and sim was in the mall niggas was going crazy and i was going over there to stop them from going crazy to fix it and she said no you can't do that they'll arrest you right now i'm going over there, if you don't get over here. I'm going over there. Yeah, these fans get a little crazy. All right, I don't have anything else about Met Gala. 34 minutes on the Met Gala. Look at us.
Starting point is 00:34:35 It was a lot of people. Yeah. All right. Now we can get our stripes back. So let's start talking about some thug shit. All right, Who got shot? Who got shot? Not me.
Starting point is 00:34:47 No, I'm saying you have to. Oh, I know. Trying to call me a snitch. No, we got to talk. No, we got to talk about Donald Glover shit. Oh, childish. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:35:00 You know what's funny? I was I saw the video and I was trying to think of how we were going to cover this because all three of us have been high on him for a long time. Yeah, for sure. So how do we cover it now that everyone else is singing his praises? I told you so. I told you the kid was a genius. And all I could think of was, all right, so tell me now where the race is for most talented person in the game.
Starting point is 00:35:30 Give me the one through wherever you want to go. Three. I still got Jamie at one. Entertainment altogether? Yeah. Jamie Foxx is still up there. I don't know. I think.
Starting point is 00:35:41 I don't know if he's. Childish right now is number one, though. Oh, like currently. Yeah. Donald Glover, yeah. Yeah, right now Is number one though Oh like currently Yeah Donald Glover yeah Yeah he would be number one I mean as He's got possibly
Starting point is 00:35:48 The best show Some of the best music Yeah Killed Donald Glover SNL Videos crazy So we are all
Starting point is 00:35:56 In agreement Beyonce is still up there Yeah I mean That's not She is of course But it's not really what I was talking about Oh well Right now yeah I mean um that's not she is of course but it's not really what I was talking about
Starting point is 00:36:06 oh well right now yeah I mean like as far as being multifaceted just all around Drake I'd still put Drake up there just Drake
Starting point is 00:36:15 singing, rapping, acting yeah he's done all those things he hasn't done much acting as of late but if we're talking if we're using those categories not many people have that trifecta
Starting point is 00:36:24 right he's done all three of those things and he's sang and rapped no But if we're talking, if we're using those categories, not many people have that trifecta. Right. He's done all three of those things. And he sang and rapped. No, I'm on the same page with you. My list is the same. It's still Donald Glover, Jamie Foxx, Chris Brown. Oh, yeah, Chris. Followed by Drake is in there somewhere.
Starting point is 00:36:40 Bo Jackson. Thank you, Rory. But this did nothing for me how did like i mean the the timing was great well this not let me not let me not say that and people can i'm not saying the video did nothing for me i'm saying this newfound love that everyone seems to have for donald glover did nothing for me now the, the video, beautiful. What were y'all, how did y'all? My first, first thought was,
Starting point is 00:37:09 it's so great that videos are coming back. I don't know if you've noticed in 2018, but people seem to be caring about videos more than they have in the past few years. And it's becoming a thing that matters. I don't think so. I disagree. I think videos have been pretty,
Starting point is 00:37:21 well, Kendrick has been putting out great videos since. The only videos. I'm not saying put out great videos. I'm saying people that are caring. That care about videos. One person who has always cared. Because everybody cares about videos. When they see a great video, they care. I'm not releasing my song with the video.
Starting point is 00:37:39 That's kind of a 2018 thing. As of the past years where it hasn't been. Where videos were way more important. Now it's like, yeah, we'll put it out after. We'll see how the single do. Now people are like, this is my single and here is the video with it the day I put it out. I think they're doing the video before they're doing the music down there.
Starting point is 00:37:53 I think what's different today is, because I still don't think that videos matter at all. There's a whole slew of them that came out that we don't talk about at all. We talk about the ones that stick. Right. And that brought me to my point when I was watching the Donald Glover shit. them that came out that we don't talk about at all we talk about the ones that stick right and that brought me to my point when i was watching the donald glover shit like like last decade when when i was a new act i felt like i felt like when and i was young and arrogant but i felt like
Starting point is 00:38:18 it was no way that a lot of the 90s 90s niggas could keep up with this new crop of of mcs because of what we were doing we were doing such we were rhyming different it was different than the rhyming in the 90s so when you started with that 90s rhyme and then you could hear it and it sounded awkward the same way now i could hear the niggas rhyming from last decade sounding a little awkward now only because of the climate of music so donald glover kendrick lamar jay cole name me anybody that's popping and i'm gonna tell you all of the things they're doing musically that a lot of us from last decade cannot and are not doing did y'all follow all that because that was a lot so i'm watching donald glover donald glover is dancing like he likes men in the video that's
Starting point is 00:39:14 talent it's talent he looks great that's in now but to have that type of body coordination is what i'm saying yeah you almost have to have it to know how to is what I'm saying. Yeah. You almost have to have it to know how to rap now. The same way you almost had to tear a mixtape up back in the day to get a record deal. No, you're right. It's actually really important. Today, yeah, him moving his body like that, amazing. The fact that I'm certain, it's true though. No, I understand.
Starting point is 00:39:42 It's just funny. It's funny to hear, but i'm looking at it artistically and saying damn like why i have to dissect it like why can't niggas fuck with donald glover this is why because he's gonna wear that fucking stupid black nappy here that's beautiful and it's in right but it wasn't always in is my point in saying that the the funny looking dancing that's in it wasn't always in i don't know in saying that. The funny looking dancing that's in, it wasn't always in. I don't know who wrote that treatment, but I'm going to assume it came from him because we know how brilliant of a writer he is. That's brilliant writing.
Starting point is 00:40:12 They said who the choreographer and director was, but of course, Donald Glover was super involved. We know he was. But I'm just saying there was also a director and choreographer that should be credited as well. There was also a director and choreographer that should be credited as well. The stuff that he's previously written and the stuff that he's leaked that he's written that maybe never came out leads me to believe he was heavily involved in the writing of that. And even that, wow. You have to be armed like that today. Joyner Lucas, you had to be armed like that today. Joyner Lucas, you had to be armed like that today.
Starting point is 00:40:49 I noticed it. Yeah, me too. Everybody cannot do it. I mean, you had to watch that shit 30 times to catch everything that was in that video. I caught something new every time I watched it. So wait, so then he's singing. Was SZA in the video at the end? Yes, it was at the end. And we're going to get to that too.
Starting point is 00:41:03 Oh, SZA, baby. We got to rewind and go back to the neck. To the gallows. How do we forget S get to that too oh scissor baby we gotta rewind and go back to the gallo how do we forget sizzle we gotta talk about my baby sizzle i love sizzle yeah we're gonna talk about uh what was that you're saying oh he's singing so all right so now he's singing the the uh even the structure of the record. Or lack thereof. Yes. Right.
Starting point is 00:41:31 Like, look at how deep I'm going with... That's why I feel like they may have even wrote the music to the video. Of course. I think that was the whole process as well, too. And even that. I mean, if that happened, look how armed you got to be today. Yeah. I could do that very same thing with anybody y'all tell me is popping right now. Cole, Drake, Kendrick.
Starting point is 00:41:51 I'm probably slowing down now. Wait, you think that exact video? No, that level of what's in your toolbox. Yeah. Like what you can go to. I'm listening to the new Royce album. There's more singing on the new Royce album. Know why?
Starting point is 00:42:08 And Royce always could sing. Royce is always a Texas man. Because he always used to take his voice off. Yeah, we love your voice. You gotta sing. Cocaine might be my favorite on Royce's project. He's always been able to sing great, though. It's my favorite record on Glasshouse.
Starting point is 00:42:23 He used to want to be like, let me take me off. Well, we're going to get to that. So I think we're going to get to everything. Because we hop around a lot. But my point was, today you've got to have that in your toolbox. There's quite a few songs on that Royce album where the level of thought involved, even some of the songs that I don't like, how hard he had to think and develop a story.
Starting point is 00:42:49 And you have to do a lot to make an impact and an imprint today. Everybody's not equipped for it, which led me to my question to you outside, Parks. Who's hot? Ain't too many niggas hot. There's a fucking reason for it. Yeah, that's true. And let's note, while he put that video out,
Starting point is 00:43:06 he was hosting SNL as a comedian and as an artist. And he killed it. And let me just say that. Those were some of the funniest sketches I've seen in a while. That whole Migos and therapy shit. I think that nigga listens to our podcast, by the way. I just want to throw that out there. Who?
Starting point is 00:43:21 Donald Glover. I think Donald Glover 100% has or has someone by him that has heard our fucking podcast. Well, if that's the case, what's up, bro? Let's get a proof. Hey, Don, we love you, man. You're fucking awesome. How about I say, yeah. Round of applause for if Donald's listening.
Starting point is 00:43:37 Been singing your praises for years. Hold up, man. We'll send you a front of the show shirt for free. You don't even have to pay for it. Yeah, round of applause for if he's listening. Awesome out there Love your show Atlanta's incredible too
Starting point is 00:43:48 So back to this video I understood it I understood it rather Rather quickly I didn't think it was It was the deepest thing in the world But the timing was important I think the
Starting point is 00:43:59 Not to cut you off But yeah It was easy to grab Everything I said sorry to cut you off Oh okay Yeah it wasn't That don't make it was easy to grab everything. You cut me off, my nigga. I said, sorry to cut you off. Oh, okay. Yeah, it wasn't hard to grasp. That don't make it cool.
Starting point is 00:44:08 Well, now you're cutting me off on my cutoff. All right, go ahead. You're cutting off his cutoff. You're cutting off my cutoff. Go ahead. That's rude. It was easy to grasp the concept, but all the little things you had to catch the few times you watched.
Starting point is 00:44:18 Like, did you grab everything the first time you watched? Of course not. Oh, okay, okay. Well, that's why I cut you off. But let me just snitch on myself. I did see a lot of the little clips before i saw the entire video okay because i was confused about why i kept seeing certain things i hadn't seen the video and then then i got i got in some group chat mysteriously that kept talking about the video and i was like i gotta go see this fucking video um but yeah the the the death on a horse uh followed by the cop uh the the hammer
Starting point is 00:44:49 being handled delicately as opposed to the corpse being dragged away the choir shooting uh all the kids filming it from the top with their phones the dancing from from donald with the with the pose fresh from fucking, I don't know, because I have a brain freeze, but a lot of small just clues everywhere in there. The level of detail, the attention to detail that he paid, like, I was grateful. I was grateful to see.
Starting point is 00:45:19 That's what made me think of all that shit, Parks, because I was watching that, and I didn't feel like I was watching a video at all. Nor did I feel like video people did this nor did i feel like it was shot somewhere where they look to shoot videos whoever whoever was involved in all of this this was different yeah this was a movie this was and then that made me wonder because we all love that so much. And boy, was I glad that he got the stench off of what the topic of conversation was the week before. I was like, yes, yes, thank you. Fuck Kanye again.
Starting point is 00:45:55 Let's go, Donald. Damn, I was going somewhere with that. What was I saying? He got the stench off of. Yeah, but before that. The way the crew and everything put together. Well, you got to remember, now that he's in that TV got the stench off of yeah but before that the way to the crew and everything put together well you gotta remember now that he's in that tv world he has a lot of different relationships dude he's in star wars that's a whole different monster yo i like
Starting point is 00:46:16 relationships are different you know how crazy that is to be that on top of the world and now you're in star wars that's how you're gonna end off you're 18 not Wars? That's how you're going to end off? You're 18? Not even end off. I enjoy his evolution from being the black guy that they killed quickly in some of the horror movies to where he is now. I forgot what movie that was that he died in
Starting point is 00:46:34 where he was the only black guy and they were in space or some shit. It's like, oh shit, that's Childish Gambino in space. I also like that if being weird became untrendy again,
Starting point is 00:46:44 Childish Gambino would still be weird. Like he's not one of the people that is being weird became untrendy again Childish Gambino would still be weird like he's not one of the people that is being weird cause that's what's in now he's for real yeah Kid Cudi
Starting point is 00:46:51 got a snuff Childish Gambino yeah Cudi's one of those too Cudi was weird before it was trendy to be weird yeah but now there's people
Starting point is 00:46:58 that are just y'all don't think they should fight no I don't think they should fight there was somebody else I wanted to ask y'all about fighting
Starting point is 00:47:03 that you wanna fight no not me oh I'm all peace should know it was somebody else I wanted to ask y'all about fighting that you want to fight no not me oh I'm all peace and love no about somebody else fighting we'll get to it let me see what else
Starting point is 00:47:11 is on here oh great transition we gotta step our production up shouldn't be doing that you shouldn't have to do that Joe
Starting point is 00:47:24 thanks Mo so I got a few quick questions for all of you our production up. You shouldn't be doing that. You shouldn't have to do that, Joe. Thanks, Mo. So I got a few quick questions for all of you. I'll tell you where this starts. Hey, we didn't even get into Charlemagne dissing you again. Oh, yeah, he did. He dissed us again.
Starting point is 00:47:37 We're going to have to talk about it because I don't want to keep talking about him dissing you. That's going to be a continuous thing. But I do have other questions for you. Listen to this. Just that fast i forgot the fucking questions i had for more
Starting point is 00:47:51 do you have a soul house membership no how many people do you know with a soul house membership maybe three it's a lot What do you know with a Soho House membership? Maybe three. That's a lot. I know about five. God damn it. Well, Rory's on the party scene.
Starting point is 00:48:16 What the hell's going on? It's not that. All right, so let me tell the fans why I'm looking at Rory and Maul like they are just aliens. I don't even know if you're supposed to be talking about the Soho house. It's like the Met Gala. That's what happens on the inside. It's like the event right there. They don't do shit in there but overcharge for avocado toast and shit.
Starting point is 00:48:38 You about to lose your dick. You can't go no more. You can't go no more. That was Rory McFerrell. McFerrell. That was racist. I definitely put a Mac in front of your name. I do.
Starting point is 00:48:51 I'm sorry. It's okay. I'm sorry. Is McDonald's Irish? Ronald McDonald's? No. We're not doing that on this podcast. You can't come late and do that.
Starting point is 00:49:00 No, no, no. Listen, listen. That's a serious question. No, it isn't. We don't know more. Okay. Never mind. No, it isn't. We don't know, Mo. Okay. Never mind. No, Rory?
Starting point is 00:49:08 I'm going to ask the Irish. The Irish live. Yo, we're talking about Soho House, right? Okay. All right. I thought it was a great question. He's a redhead. Rory's a redhead.
Starting point is 00:49:17 Yeah, I'm wanting to think about it. I never looked at it that way. I'm trying. Y'all be thinking that I just ask crazy shit. That's a serious question. I'm glad you stopped smoking weed. That's what I'm trying y'all be thinking that I just ask crazy shit that's a serious question I'm glad you stopped smoking weed is what I'm really thinking
Starting point is 00:49:28 but wait so Soho House the reason why I'm looking at Maul and Rory like they're aliens is because Soho House you have to be part
Starting point is 00:49:36 of a very exclusive club like to even it costs like mad money to even be a part of this very exclusive club and my me myself I've only been in one maybe twice It costs like mad money to even be a part of this very exclusive club. And me, myself, I've only been in one maybe twice. And it was with people richer than me.
Starting point is 00:49:54 And more important than me. And they just invited me there like it was the local Starbucks. Okay, a little meeting over here. But mall on the other hand, I ask mall this this because Maul be at all the Bucks games. True. I mean. Yeah, valid. I've watched his story. Maul has a lot of custom clothes.
Starting point is 00:50:14 That's true. Is it true what I'm saying? Is this a narrative about this? No, these are facts, Maul. I don't know if they're facts. You go to Bucks games, and you have custom clothes. These aren't bad things, Mo. That's cool. Yeah, you're about to defend yourself for looking nice.
Starting point is 00:50:34 But you go to Bucks games. It's a bunch of people that go to Bucks games. Not that we know. You're the only one I know. You, uh, did this nigga take a picture in the Soho house? How did this, oh, that's how it came up because you're the only person that knew about soho house malibu no everybody no i mean if you know no but listen if you know about if you went to the soul house in um in hollywood
Starting point is 00:51:00 in beverly hills right that's the one you went to? Don't just do your hand to me like that. With your palm facing the ceiling. There's two in LA. I never knew that. Oh, yeah, no. I didn't even know there was one in LA. I thought it was only in Soho. Word. It's a Soho Malibu.
Starting point is 00:51:17 You drink almond milk? Nah, I can't drink almond milk. Oh, you look like the oat milk guy. Nah, I'm on my coconut milk wave now. So what do you do when you go to Soho House, both of you? Because Rory goes a lot too, right? It's usually for a meeting. I've never partied at Soho House.
Starting point is 00:51:30 Yeah, they do private. They have private rooms and stuff there. They do events there. Wow. I only know about the private room in the 4040. So when you went to Soho House, what were you doing? The rooftop. The perfectionist private room?
Starting point is 00:51:44 That's a better private room. Man, hold up. Good thing they tore Perfections down. I'm glad they did. My picture should have been on the wall in that Perfections back room. There's a lot of skeletons in there. Do you have some in there? Come on, keep it real.
Starting point is 00:51:59 I bought two. Whoever bought the building is haunted by the ghost of Budden Past. Went back there and pulled their dick out. Are you kidding me? With the camera back. That's how you knew shit was wild. With the camera back there. There was a camera back there.
Starting point is 00:52:13 There was a dude walking around back there. I think my girl got the tape one time. Oh, my God. For real. You can't trust the Bronx niggas working the camera. That was like the next week she was pressing me. Damn, I thought that was a private room. That was like the next week she was pressing me. Damn, I thought that was
Starting point is 00:52:28 a private room. That's a quick turnaround. Yeah, one week. You got to be careful out there. No, I don't know about two soul houses in Soul Mamaboo. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:52:36 Okay, so you've been to the Soul House in Beverly Hills and you've been to the one here. Once and once. Okay. So when you went to the one here, it was a private room. But if I wanted to go again,
Starting point is 00:52:46 I couldn't just go No you can't I mean you would have to go With somebody that Either has a membership Or something like that Well didn't y'all get kicked out Like last year Two summers ago
Starting point is 00:52:53 No that was La Marina How do you How do you lose track Of those two La Marina And Soul House But wait That wasn't my question
Starting point is 00:53:03 This is the serious question I have for you guys One Well I'm asking this For two reasons One Because it's a great exercise But wait, that wasn't my question. This is the serious question I have for you guys. One. Well, I'm asking this for two reasons. One, because it's a great exercise in self-awareness. And two, just to make some jokes. You ready? So the Khaled story, the old Khaled Breakfast Club interview re rebroke again over the weekend where he's explaining that he doesn't eat his wife's vagina and he refuses to do that because you know he said a whole bunch of macho machismo male chauvinistic shit i don't believe it you don't believe it well it's on video i don't believe no man over 24 doesn't eat pussy i don't believe it okay all right well that's not why i was asking
Starting point is 00:53:47 where i was going with this was he explained that he doesn't do that because uh he named his reason but when some of the women were acting outraged you know they were reminded that you know cal is wealthy enough to feel like that right i would need to know what he said but he is wealthy enough to feel like that to feel like to feel like all right i'm not i'm not eating no pussy i need to know what his reason he said he said he was the provider and the king of the house and he doesn't need to do that but she needs to do that because he's the provider and king i'm paraphrasing of course but i believe those were the words. But that's not the point of why I'm asking. The point of why I'm asking is when I thought about him being too wealthy to do that
Starting point is 00:54:30 and that being valid and acceptable reason to women, that made me wonder what categories. First of all, Khaled is not too wealthy to not eat pussy. He doesn't have more money than Jay, and I'm sure Jay eats pussy. Okay, but that's not really what I mean when I say that. What I mean is he has enough money for a woman to roll with it. Oh, yeah. That's what I mean.
Starting point is 00:54:55 I got enough money for a woman to roll with me not eating pussy. What you mean? Well, how much money do you have? Not much. But if I tell a girl I don't do that, that's just what it is. She rolling. Yo, Moe is taking this. All right, that's just what it is. She rolling. I'm only taking this. All right, let me just ask my question, man.
Starting point is 00:55:09 I'm just saying, if that's what you're saying, like if that's for a woman to be like, okay, cool. No, my question to you was, but that's kind of where I'm going, is do you know what category you fall in when it comes to how women identify us. Oh, well, I definitely have to eat pussy. I got to eat pussy, yeah. No, but what I'm saying is that a real one. Now, let's come up with some of these categories. Must eat pussy. No, no, you can't put that.
Starting point is 00:55:35 That is a category. Plus 1,000% in that category. But what I mean is. You don't have to eat. No, see, hold on. Rory's got to eat pussy. And parts. Okay, so any girl y'all have ever...
Starting point is 00:55:47 They better not not eat pussy. Like, don't miss two times. So y'all have had, y'all went down on every girl you've ever met. No. The hell no. Okay, then. So what are y'all talking about? Y'all don't have to eat pussy.
Starting point is 00:55:59 What is Mo talking about? Why do you keep confusing me, and I think I keep knowing what we're talking about? They said that they have to eat pussy. Why are you being literal, man? They're kidding, Maul. They're tossing jokes around. No, I get that,
Starting point is 00:56:10 but I'm just saying y'all don't really feel that way, though. No. All right, cool. That's all I was asking. You're talking to niggas that enjoy eating pussy, Maul.
Starting point is 00:56:19 Yeah, that's true. Yeah, but I'm saying you don't feel like you have to. I know you don't feel like you have to. I know Rory doesn't feel like he has to. After 37, I don't even like saying the word pussy.
Starting point is 00:56:25 That's crazy. Okay. Well, vagina. Vagina's weird, too. They need a new word. It was a new one I heard. Oh, no. I don't want to hear it.
Starting point is 00:56:32 All right, forget it. No, no, no, no. It was kind of funny, though. All right, but no, no, no. Don't say it. Tell me over here. All right. No, where I was going, if some of the categories,
Starting point is 00:56:40 well, wealthy or the money guy is a category. Okay. I think that's the category. well, wealthy or the money guy is a category. Okay. I think that's the category. Well, no. Because athletes have money. That would be the next one. Well, who falls under the money guy category? It's only the rappers, the athletes, and the doughboys.
Starting point is 00:56:55 I don't even know if rappers have money anymore. Yeah, the exact same. You know. Mark Zuckerberg. Well, no. He could pass. He could probably pass. No.
Starting point is 00:57:03 Zuckerberg makes the list. That's a different list. I think that's like... You don't even got to fuck her in that list. She'll fuck herself when you have Zuckerberg money. When you got money
Starting point is 00:57:14 like Zuckerberg, you walk in, she'll be fucking herself. Like, listen, I'm going to save you time. Word. Word about it. With a hologram of you.
Starting point is 00:57:22 Yeah, I rubbed this one out already. It's all good. Yeah, I know you got shit to do. Go ahead. Cloned himself. There's the funny guy category. Mall knows I think that's the category that they put him in. Oh, my God.
Starting point is 00:57:34 Okay. Well, first of all, that's a high category. You could really laugh a girl out of some drawers. For sure. And some women would rather do that than show us some money. They feel a little bit better about it. Well, I want y'all to tell me how y'all think women identify you guys. Like what box they check off for you.
Starting point is 00:57:50 That is a good question. I never thought about that. I know. I would have to, if we're saying those, I would fall under the funny, cool guy category. I would check white first. I would check white. I don't know if that's a category, really. No, that's a lot.
Starting point is 00:58:04 Well, it is kind of when you're the white guy that hangs out with all black people or people of color. In my early, early years that women hadn't had that yet. Right. So they were curious. So I got away with a lot of things that I maybe shouldn't have gotten away with. Rory's in the unicorn category. Let me dap you up.
Starting point is 00:58:19 I remember that phase of women being curious about white things. Yeah, he's a unicorn. He's a unicorn. Women are so trash. I'm an easy transition, too. Yeah. I play the music they like already.
Starting point is 00:58:30 You know, it's not like a whole jump to the whole white category. Yeah, you got a lot of brother qualities about you. But then it's like they look up and they see redhead. Wait, that's a whole other category. The friend category. The friend category. You don't want to be in that category. That's a bad category.
Starting point is 00:58:44 It's the friend zone. Well, no. I've flipped the friend zone before. Yeah, that's work, though. You can exist in the friend zone. Yeah, that's work, though. You just got to be on that. No, not necessarily.
Starting point is 00:58:54 How fast you type. How fast you type. What kind of data plan you got. What kind of data plan you got. Yeah, I'll tell you how you get this off. You got to be a great conversationalist though I've been the money guy one summer
Starting point is 00:59:07 I only had enough to go two and a half months of the money guy you're still the money guy no I'm not no don't do that don't do that
Starting point is 00:59:16 it's perception is what I'm saying no it is Joe is the Joe is the make you cry guy I've seen it happen it's perception I'm telling you
Starting point is 00:59:24 Joe is the not saying that he has to spend money But it's the perception Oh yeah I agree with you That he has it Yeah I agree with you No I think people think I'm broke No
Starting point is 00:59:30 Yes Yeah I think they do too Yes Yeah they do I don't know what more I'm talking about No Yes But you're a rapper
Starting point is 00:59:36 Broke compared to who And people think rappers have money Broke compared to whoever they think my peers are Yeah no I've been out with Joe in the Savage era When we were running around in clubs and girls were like, you know.
Starting point is 00:59:47 I was right there. Yeah, you were. You were. The perception is he has money. He's a rapper. Like, that just comes with being a rapper.
Starting point is 00:59:56 I mean, I agree with you more to some extent, but not like... Shit. All right, wait, wait. Time out, time out, time out. Niggas think as a result of this podcast,
Starting point is 01:00:02 I have money. Like, niggas want to hold me like... I spend money for this podcast. Huh? I spend money for this podcast. Yeah, like, I'm not talking about more. Niggas think as a result of this podcast, I have money. Like, niggas are going to hold me like, I'm popping. I spend money for this podcast. Huh? I spend money for this podcast. Yeah, like, I'm like, where do people get that? I'm like, I'm going to make it. So if you're a rapper, that perception is always going to be he's getting money.
Starting point is 01:00:14 Now, you know what's funny about that, that you say that? No. This is why I always had a problem with niggas saying that. Okay, I understand that, if getting money is relative. But as a rapper, compared to your peers, no, I don't think anyone ever looked at me and said he's the rapper with money. I've definitely been out with Joe where girls' perceptions were like, oh, he had the hit back 10 years ago. How is he still? And Joe's perception, too, is he always has a cute girl with him
Starting point is 01:00:45 that's true I'm talking about girls that maybe didn't know Joe's that makes chicks like you a little bit too that makes chicks like you a lot
Starting point is 01:00:52 yeah if you always have a cute girl my point was cause then if you fuck with them they automatically assume they're a cute girl
Starting point is 01:00:58 like okay yeah you fucked with me so I look good nah I was just horny but anyway yeah that is a whole different category that's your category
Starting point is 01:01:04 for sure. What? He usually has cute girls, so. Yeah, he's known for that. That's a perception. That's your category, bro. You always got a cute chick and you got a pool. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:01:15 And a car. You're a pool guy. Yo, the way that we marginalize each other. You're the pool guy. Wait, wait, wait, wait. That's a good guy to be. Wait, do you think that's the box I'm in now? The pool guy? You're the pool guy. You're the pool guy Wait wait wait That's a good guy to be Wait did you think That's the box I'm in now
Starting point is 01:01:26 The pool guy You're the pool guy You're the pool guy I didn't have a pool A few years ago Yes you did You had a pool Five years ago
Starting point is 01:01:36 You had like a year Without the pool Yeah Yeah but I got a Fucking girl and a kid So you can't really Be the pool guy That's even better
Starting point is 01:01:43 For the girls in there Cause it's like We're the girl Like we're not a girl. We're just going to chill. Let's just go lay out at Joe's. Oh, it's not wrong. Let's go lay out at Joe's. When you ever seen
Starting point is 01:01:50 someone laid out at Joe's? Only when it's an event. Only Asia. Yeah, that's true. Asian toy. Yeah. Yeah, exactly. Both beautiful properties
Starting point is 01:02:00 sitting there. I'm going to start a fight this summer though. Oh my God. Nah, for real. Just real quick for a week. Just a summer though. Oh my God. For real. Just real quick for a week. Just a quick week. You're single for a week.
Starting point is 01:02:09 I'm sick of anything. You and this baby got to go. All right. Well, make sure, tell me in advance. I take the whole week off. I'm joking.
Starting point is 01:02:15 I'm joking. I'm joking. I'm just going to send me listening sometimes. I'm kidding. She listens all the time. Yeah. Word, right?
Starting point is 01:02:20 She's listening now. What were we talking about before y'all made it awkward? What category? Oh, I'm off of that we will never do that again buddy what's your doing
Starting point is 01:02:30 and y'all still didn't tell me where y'all fall oh Rory said he's the fucking well he said where he used to be he's the white guy yeah he's the white guy
Starting point is 01:02:37 I'm the funny cool guy I think Rory's in the hipster box too the cool white hipster yeah well I can hold a conversation that tends to help.
Starting point is 01:02:45 That helps. Your festival from city to city, that helps too. That helps. That definitely helps. The fuck is he talking about? They'll do some weird things for it.
Starting point is 01:02:52 I can see Maul in the club hitting him with a little name drop of, yo, you know Rockefeller? No. Get the fuck. Come on, Maul. Get the fuck out of here. You know I never did no shit.
Starting point is 01:03:04 Get the fuck out of here. I don't know. How do I know? Because you've been in the club with me enough to know that I don't do that, nigga. I don't do no shit like that. You heard that song Big Brother before? Get the fuck out of here. I never do that.
Starting point is 01:03:14 Wait, I never realized that Maul could rap that and really say, me and the lyrics. Maul nothing. Everybody calm down. Maul has never done that. I never noticed. Never. You could rap that and be telling the truth. You might have wrote it. It has never happened, bro.
Starting point is 01:03:32 It has never happened, my nigga. Why are you looking at me? Because I like this song, nigga. But don't look at me. Hey. Hold up. Come on, Maul, brother. Hey, huh? Wait, hold up. Come on, Maul. No.
Starting point is 01:03:48 No. No, Rolly and Maul. I have never seen Maul do that. Maul never does that. But I do know some niggas that do that, and they won't admit to doing it. Oh, no, but I, yeah, dude's a name drop, for sure. I know dudes that have admitted it. Yeah. Like, do it in plain sight.
Starting point is 01:04:05 Yeah, for sure. Get it how you get it, you know? Yeah, we going to so-and-so's house. You coming with? I've seen that plenty of times. So-and-so's. Joe's. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:04:15 We out to Budden's. You can't even say Joe. You have to say Budden's. Yo, that's the problem. That's the problem. See? All right, I just figured out the problem. What's the problem?
Starting point is 01:04:24 I was the so-and-so's house. Yeah. You just noticed that? No, what I'm saying is we need a backup so-and-so's house. Like, if I'm on lock, you know what I mean? Yeah, that's true. Rory just got the new crib. It's got a pool.
Starting point is 01:04:41 It's got a pool. Talk about it. Hop on the path, ma. Check that tunnel traffic. All right, no. Where's my phone? All right, no. Let's talk about serious shit now.
Starting point is 01:04:55 Serious shit now. Serious shit now. Serious shit now. Mic check. Mic check. One, two, one, two. Mic check. What?
Starting point is 01:05:01 Hey, I ain't gonna lie. This is a great song. Oh, man. Let's talk about This is a great song. Oh, man. Let's talk about it for a little bit. Yo, when Keno played this record for me, man, this shit is different. I'm enjoying it. It's fucking good.
Starting point is 01:05:21 Oh. This is great These fucking instruments Are hypnotizing Like when I first heard it I said well why would he sing on this And then by the second verse I said You gotta sing on it You gotta just chill for a little bit
Starting point is 01:05:42 And I don't know who Is doing all of this, Angela, but oh, my God. Royce Nuda, let it rock. Looking at me, he told me, go look in the car. So I went out there to look, but what happened? I was checking all the seats, but the only thing I saw was a bag of cocaine. First of all, anytime you say cocaine, it's hard. If your dad was on cocaine, you're fucking hardcore.
Starting point is 01:06:09 I don't know what the fuck. Royce can really sing. Let's stop. Royce has been a great singer for a long time. Like we talked about earlier, niggas have had to force Royce to sing. Like, no, when you listen to that, he's like actually like doing runs and shit with his voice. Like, that's crazy. Those are like notes and shit. That's crazy.
Starting point is 01:06:36 Great record. I love it. I want to, well, first of all, I don't know how to to I feel a way even talking about Royce on the podcast because I watched him do Angie shit and say that he feels like anytime we talk about him
Starting point is 01:06:50 on the podcast it feels like a butt down that you're forced to listen to you we all say nice things but that hurt my feelings
Starting point is 01:06:58 okay we want who has ever said a bad word about Royce on this podcast no that's not true a nigga can't find a bad word that I have said about Royce, period. Well, before.
Starting point is 01:07:09 Well, yeah. After that bullshit. But, all right, so that's why this really hits me. This album really touches me and affects me differently because of what he had to endure himself physically mentally and spiritually to make it yeah like and i remember i remember royce being a little uncomfortable at getting introspective like i remember that period for him so to hear him flawlessly and seemingly i won't say effortless because it sounds like he put his heart and soul into this shit, but goddamn, this shit flows like water.
Starting point is 01:07:52 Yeah. Top to bottom. I am not saying that because Royce is my friend. I'm actually not really feeling him at the moment this week. This is probably his best body of work. It is his best body of work. I feel comfortable saying that.
Starting point is 01:08:08 He did it. And you can tell, well, you know, you know, but for people that may not know, Royce is very meticulous. He's very,
Starting point is 01:08:18 you know, pays attention to detail, but just everything from, you know, the actual physical copy of the album. And the way, you know, actual physical copy of the album yeah wait you know everything packaging yeah the packaging the music is you know this is definitely his most complete probably thought out you know just best body of work yeah he did it he did it this is his
Starting point is 01:08:41 this is one this is this is his introduction to the people that, if you never heard about Royce, you're going to hear about him. Or if you heard him before and you're maybe on the fence because he was too much rap and he rapped, this is the one. And I mean, no one needs to tell Royce that he can rap. But the structure of this,
Starting point is 01:08:56 starting with your father, then becoming the father, and then your son, the way the structure of this shit is insane. Conceptually. I only wish he would have dropped the album on 5.9 but that's just my OCD dropping it
Starting point is 01:09:09 what was my birthday so you know he put it on my birthday I appreciated that Royce that probably would've been the cherry on top if he'd have dropped it on 5.9
Starting point is 01:09:17 but I'm sure he had his other reasons but you know now that this album is out Wednesday's a weird day. Now that it's out, I mean, well,
Starting point is 01:09:27 yeah, you can't probably do that. Yeah, because you short yourself, so we can't do that. But, now that the album is out, do we understand a little more
Starting point is 01:09:35 why, I know when I heard the album, I understood why I felt like he wanted to rush into this project and not spend so much time on Prime. Not that I agreed with it but i understood it this album is gonna this is he had to hurry up and get to and not only that i think
Starting point is 01:09:52 this this is the album that's gonna you know free royce and and you know i don't really understand know how to say it other than that like it's gonna free him i think he put a lot out there and i think now he's going to become the artist that he should be now as a result of this album like he just let everything out you know it's out I'm just even seeing him in interviews and interact with people now it's more of a free like conversation it's more of a you know you're seeing more of his personality you're seeing more of his artistry you know because Royce Royce has always been, to me, super dope. But he was always kind of like closed in a little bit in his own shell.
Starting point is 01:10:33 And I think this album is him like introducing himself and just accepting everything that he should be getting as a result of his talent. This is my problem with press, right? Royce did a whole lot of press. And then outside of maybe Elliot Wilson's car test, I didn't come away from any of the press with how amazing the album was. I could see why artists stopped, no longer do press.
Starting point is 01:11:02 Yeah. I only saw the Breakfast Club interview, but I don't think they barely talked about the album i think we're in a day and age now where there's nothing i think we've even exhausted any anything you could say to possibly get fans excited without sonically hearing something right yeah like what can you say? To get people hyped for your new album that's coming. Well, it always, no matter what, it always comes back to the music. I don't care what press run you do.
Starting point is 01:11:32 If the music is trash, I mean, it's trash. But then when you do all of this press run and this, that, and then people hear the music, they're like, oh, shit. Like, if the music is great, it's like, damn. oh shit. Like if the music is great, it's like, damn. Me personally,
Starting point is 01:11:45 I am loving just being able to watch everybody's rollout because it's just so many different things. Wale just put something else out. Yeah. So I'm watching how he's moving. This is his second EP.
Starting point is 01:11:57 I didn't really get into it yet, but I breezed through it and it sounds good. Let's do it a couple times today. He's rapping. So this is his second EP in how long? Two months. Three months at most.
Starting point is 01:12:10 And in between a lot of records too. Yeah, a lot of freestyles. He clearly feels like you normally feel when you exit your label the way that he exited his label. He feels like Dez Bryant says he's about to feel next season. He seems rejuvenated. It seems to be something to prove inside of Wale. Again, I haven't spoken to him. Well, I have spoken to him, but I didn't ask him any of that shit.
Starting point is 01:12:33 This one in particular, he's rapping on. The last one was a little more female-oriented. Not to say it's a bad thing, but this one he's like rapping. It was all R&B-centric. And all the energy that Wale's always had, he's always put probably into things away from music, unfortunately. It feels like he still has that energy, but now it's focused to actually doing what he's really good at doing
Starting point is 01:12:53 rather than bothering with the label and the press. Wait, before we get to this Wale shit, I want to turn this back. I didn't mean to cut it. He was walking to the store. It was right there on the corner. Then we seen he got his helmets. He was wrapped up in a blanket. He was looking really cool. Then he asked us for some change. Then he asked us if we know who had the cocaine.
Starting point is 01:13:17 That shit is hard. He killed it. That's a really good record. S1, do that beat? Yeah. Yeah. I'm saying yeah because Park said it. Okay. That's a really good record Did S1 do that beat? Yeah Yeah I'm just saying Yeah cause Park said it
Starting point is 01:13:27 Okay No it sounds It sounds like a S1 beat S1 did a lot of the The dope S1 is nice Yeah he is He's been nice
Starting point is 01:13:34 Who are the new Hot producers even? All them It's hard to get Hot now Yeah all the Let's say shit called 808 Mafia kids
Starting point is 01:13:44 Are definitely still running shit. Metro Woman and Southside and all those kids. Did Pring do the scratching on that? No. I don't know who did the scratching on it. That would have been dope. That was much better than your Ronald McDonald question. I think that was a great question.
Starting point is 01:14:04 I'm sure you do. All right, let me see what else is here that we have to, have to, have to talk about. I think Wendy's is a redhead, too. Oh, shit, fucking... I think she's Irish. Ray Shrummer shit. Oh, man.
Starting point is 01:14:16 I listened to it twice. The record that he got with Thug? Oh, on Swacation? Yeah. That was my sleeper. That was his record. Well, it can't be now So Also not to go back
Starting point is 01:14:28 To the Childish Gambino shit At the end when Young Thug is singing When he's running through The shit Yo can we call Young Thug a vocalist yet Cause that motherfucker
Starting point is 01:14:37 Is nice I think it's safe To call him a vocalist What else are we Calling him No but like really Like really Not in the mumble category.
Starting point is 01:14:46 He can sing and make amazing melodies. He's probably the best at that right now. I just want to give him his just due. Let's slow it down. Let's slow it down. Really? You just dissed us? You think he's better in Future at that?
Starting point is 01:15:01 Yes. Yeah. Me personally, yes. But you can make an argument otherwise. Yes. I know Future has not been doing it so much recently but i i think that future has something coming that's going to change a lot i haven't i don't know as of today yes thug is better if i put up their their singing their mumble singing discographies i don't know that you could put more hits with future, but I think the talent level and how it sounds... I'm just talking about, yeah, just the sonic level.
Starting point is 01:15:27 I just like how Young Thug sounds more. His tone is more appealing to me. That's what I'm saying. Me too. I'm just arguing here. I agree with you guys. I'm not talking about Bigger Record. No, obviously Future, but I mean... I mean, Thug's got some big records too, though. Not as many as Future. The problem with Thug is
Starting point is 01:15:43 he doesn't have a big record. Now. Well, no. He just hasn't put his focus into a full project that like... Yes, he has. He gave us a country album. He gave us that other shit. He gave us a bunch of shit.
Starting point is 01:15:53 He rushes them, then he doesn't promote them. Like, I feel like he just puts them up. That's because that's Thug, man. You know what I mean? You know what I mean? Thug ain't got time to be promoting this shit. I got shit to do. I tweet it, and that's it.
Starting point is 01:16:05 Yeah, look at that Thug. There's certain niggas that could do that. That record that he on, Offshore, yeah. Yeah, oh, yeah. I've been playing that record nonstop. I feel the way, because that's part of my little midnight set. You know what? If you're going to play that for you.
Starting point is 01:16:21 That week during the pool. The pool week in the summer. Hey, let me tell you something. If you don't think that that Young Thug Sway Lee record is coming on by the pool- If you're going to play that for your sleeper, I'm going to play this Ye Ali record that has the same sample. How many Ye Ali records are you going to play? No, I'm just saying. Just to play it.
Starting point is 01:16:40 With the same sample you said? Yeah. That Offshore record is coming on by the pool. I'm sorry, guys. Which one of those has the Drake sample from Thank Me Later? Something on Sway. No, it's distinct. Oh, on the album you said?
Starting point is 01:16:53 Yeah, yeah, yeah. I don't know the tracks that well yet. Me neither. It's too many tracks. That one is hard too. Go through it. Yeah, it's too many tracks. And let me tell you something.
Starting point is 01:17:00 That's the middle part. Well, I'll admit I've only listened to the Sway K. I've listened to it a bunch of times, but I haven't gotten to the other disses. I've listened to the whole project twice, and I'm still not in love with it because it's too much. It's too much to go through for me. That middle part. The Swaykation.
Starting point is 01:17:16 That middle part is something else. I'll tell you that one. Let me see. New music, new music. Designer. I'm the only one that keeps saying that I know. I listened to it. I didn't get a chance.
Starting point is 01:17:28 I listened to it a couple times, actually. It was okay. He sounded different on the first two or three songs. He almost sounded like East a little bit. He was rapping a little bit more than... I only keep bringing it up because it's just, boy, you fans are fickle. If that is the...
Starting point is 01:17:44 I'm always shocked when the fans... That was the guy. Is that is the often, I'm always shocked. That was the guy. Is that the consensus? Is that the consensus? It's over? Wow. They went from saying, I just want to have as much fun as Desiigner has.
Starting point is 01:17:56 It was a thing. This album was a little bit less fun, I feel like. Clearly, he's been going through something. Let me get that. Take my bit less fun, I feel like. I feel like he was trying to rap more. Clearly he's been going through something. Let me get that. But, take my hip-hop card away because I haven't listened to Styles shit yet. I'm gonna listen to it on the way home from here and I feel really bad
Starting point is 01:18:14 when I got it. Styles shit is hard. I believe it is. I didn't hear it, uh, I didn't hear it yet either because I've been so stuck on Royce and, uh, Ray Strummer and shit. But I do, I am getting to it. It's what you'd expect in a good way. I'm trying to think what else came out.
Starting point is 01:18:29 Styles makes good albums, man. Westside and Benny put out a really good song today, which is supposed to be on Westside's new album that's coming out, I think, soon. He keeps promoting it. It's very, very good. I think Alchemist did the beat. But from then, I can't think of anything else.
Starting point is 01:18:43 Sometimes they drop shit, and it's not on like Apple Music and Spotify so it'd be kind of hard to find this is on Apple Music okay well I listen to it on SoundCloud but I saw people tweeting it
Starting point is 01:18:50 when it was on Apple Music but yes they do do that anything else came out? on the new music front I don't think so I know June is supposed to be really busy and everybody just
Starting point is 01:19:03 keeps promoting that so just gonna wait for June man half them albums not that. So I'm just going to wait for June. Man, half them albums not coming out. And I'm with you all. I don't think all them Kanye shit is coming out. No, I changed my mind completely. Yeah, I'm with you, man. I'm with you, buddy.
Starting point is 01:19:14 I just hope Tiana's comes out. That's the only one I'm really hoping through that mix. No, I want Pusha. Well, Pusha was in May. Pause. Pause. Nah, I want Pusha. He said that shit, man, provocatively.
Starting point is 01:19:28 I did not say provocatively. You did say provocatively. Nah, I want Pusha. Pusha's is coming out. It's coming, Parks. It is. I am excited about the Tiana shit. Me too.
Starting point is 01:19:40 Oh, wait a minute, man. Oh, no, we'll get to that later about Bobby Brown on Mother's Day. I missed it. Oh, man. The V to that later about Bobby Brown on Mother's Day. I missed it. Oh, man. The VH1 special that they did on Mother's Day. I mean, yesterday for Mother's Day this Sunday, which we'll talk about later. But I thought about it because Tiana Taylor performed. And her mom's favorite song was, I think it was Every Little Step I Take.
Starting point is 01:19:59 So she's a prize there. And Bobby Brown came out to do Every Little Step I Take. And the steps were little that he was taking. I would keep it all the way. There were little steps. Bobby should not be performing anymore. And I love Bobby like the next man. Why the fuck, fam?
Starting point is 01:20:20 It's got to stop. D-Bobby then, you got to respect the legend. Yeah. it's gotta stop D-Bobby then you gotta respect the legend yeah they gonna kill him don't R. Kelly's a legend yeah but I mean that's my performer though I'm sure R. Kelly's
Starting point is 01:20:35 still a great performer I don't I don't wanna see him perform he's not as great as a performer listen Bobby Brown went out there and fucked that whole tribute
Starting point is 01:20:43 of Mom Dukes just had to keep rocking through it he was out there and fucked that whole tribute. Mom Dukes just had to keep rocking through it. He was out there. Tiana sung the second verse. Oh, yeah. I saw the clip. I didn't see the show.
Starting point is 01:20:52 I saw the clip. When you great like that, you got to chill out if you're not great no more. No? I agree. All right, fuck y'all niggas. Listen. So listen, when I went to LA, I went and got up with my brother Crooked Eye, right? So we could do a pull-up.
Starting point is 01:21:08 And I did suggest to him that Slaughterhouse as a whole do a pull-up, but I have not pitched that. To the rest of the crew? No, I'm not pitching that. But. Do it in Detroit. No. But I did pull up on Crook. And while I do not think I'm releasing that interview, only because it was a pretty good interview.
Starting point is 01:21:29 It was a good interview, man. You should release it. No, I think it was too good of an interview to release. I just don't know if it's solving anything. That's why it's like no point in releasing it, because it's like I know where everybody stands, and once I did the interview with him, I was like, all right, cool. This is a good, peaceful, this feels good. But I am going to play. With that said. No, I'm going to play a little bit of,
Starting point is 01:21:52 I'm going to play the end of the interview just because I thought the end of the interview was pretty cool. This was a good interview, though. I really did a good job man do you think there's a place for slaughterhouse and hip-hop today there's always a place for slaughterhouse slaughterhouse is the essence of hip-hop even if you don't have what's going on as a trend in the trendy form or trendy sense people who promote the essence are always gonna have a place that's
Starting point is 01:22:22 that's where it creates the longevity. It's always a place for slaughterhouse. It's always a place for slaughterhouse. And lastly, do you think that business most times interferes with creative? Yeah, for sure. For sure business does do we have any final final words why you keep letting these niggas shoot at you on wax Shut up, Corks. I'm retired. I'm retired. That's the body.
Starting point is 01:23:05 I am retired. That's the body. That's the body. I ain't into my shit like that. He threw up the peace sign. We should put the video on the video. Erickson, can we do that? Just this little last piece.
Starting point is 01:23:17 So when you was talking on your podcast about the rapper you was going to dance with, that's me? No. I'm like, you're going gonna come out to retirement for me, but you gonna let these niggas shoot at you all day. Well, first of all, I wouldn't come out of retirement for an MC as capable as you. I would go get practice first, and then I'd come for your ass.
Starting point is 01:23:38 You gonna need it. I could take that, I think. Okay. We could set that up. Honestly, I think I'd take it. Favorite view. Don't play. I don't that. Okay. We could set that up. Honestly, I think I'd take it. Hmm. Don't play. We want that smoke.
Starting point is 01:23:50 Don't drop your Kanye West album, though. Talk about them seven songs. Hold up, you hear me though. You hear what I'm telling you. I'm gonna take more than that. Hey, that was superior. I'm telling you. Hey, Crook, you know what's funny about you? Let's get into it. Since you wanna get into it. I ain't never seen you engage? That's because you weren't paying attention to me when I was hmm
Starting point is 01:24:10 You talking to a night guy That I'll see is the link. I'll send you the link. I got a few links. You just wasn't paying attention back then We haven't we don't I'm some big It's some big names We don't know how Battle tested You are, so all that Superiorist lyricism shit might not mean Nothing in war It always means something
Starting point is 01:24:34 Shit Well you gonna see Content your ass up With all that lyrical shit But that ain't going to happen. Come on. Don't blink it. I feel like I'm thinking about the good ones too.
Starting point is 01:24:52 He was already in the studio. That record is done. Crook had one on the phone. He was going to let loose. He just wanted to check the temperature. Yeah, that's already done. This record's done. Oh, don't say that.
Starting point is 01:25:00 Don't tell me that Crook button just is done already. That shit is done. You think? That's one click of the phone. That's on SoundCloud. Recorded? Yes. For sure.
Starting point is 01:25:09 Mixed and mastered. Damn. And mastered. It's hard to write. Definitely. It probably is hard. Shut the fuck up. Definitely.
Starting point is 01:25:17 We're not going to do that. I'm going to try to figure out a way if there's a way that I can edit the interview somehow and release it. Maybe 20 minutes or something of it it is a good interview it's a good interview break it up into clips I hate when niggas
Starting point is 01:25:31 do that clip shit but alright cool speaking of clip shit great segue Star Left Everyday Struggle didn't see that one coming by the way
Starting point is 01:25:40 I'm not saying this as a slight I just really thought it was over I didn't see people posting about it because I follow Wayno, and Wayno posts a lot, and when he stopped posting it, I figured the show was over.
Starting point is 01:25:49 So who's on Everyday Struggle now? Is it on? I'm not saying this is a diss. I really thought it was over because I didn't see anyone posting about it. Yeah, I thought it was over. Yo, y'all got to break the button. What the fuck are y'all doing? I thought it was over.
Starting point is 01:26:04 All right. Shut up. Oh, I can't the button. What the fuck are y'all doing? I thought it was over. All right. Shut up. Oh, I can't stop it. No, you idiots. No, it's not over. They went on a temporary break. And in going on a temporary break, everybody maybe didn't know what was going on. But all the employees still thought that they-
Starting point is 01:26:23 Did they announce it or did they just stop it? No, they did announce that they were going on a leave of absence. Leave of absence. But all the hosts, I would assume, I haven't spoken to anybody, still thought that they were coming back until Star put out
Starting point is 01:26:38 his video where he said that he requested a release and was granted it. Joe Hayden, they're going to come back like Jordan with the 4-5. You watch. where he said that he requested a release and was granted it. Joe Hayden, they're going to come back like Jordan with the 4-5. You watch. I think they are, but I wasn't even talking about that.
Starting point is 01:26:51 I was just trying to state the news. Stating the news? Yeah, Star Left Everyday Struggle. That's the news. Okay. Well, I mean, we kind of saw the writing on the wall with that. Hey, listen, man.
Starting point is 01:27:04 Y'all don't give a fuck. I don't care either, man. We'll get to the next topic. R.I.P. Yeah, I didn't. I hope they do more with Wayno because I think he's great for those things. That's my only piece from them. I don't mean to sit here and big him up, my niggas.
Starting point is 01:27:14 Relax. I hope he doesn't start suggesting things. I really hope that Wayno comes through. Shut the fuck up, niggas. Wow, you're still really upset about this thing. I can see it. It's still a sensitive topic. Parks loves to sneak a word in his show.
Starting point is 01:27:29 It's okay. It's over, bro. I know you're traumatized, but you don't have to take it out on me. Bro, you're going to make me expose your job, my nigga. You keep playing. Yo, we threatened him with that for like three weeks. But he ain't got the threat yet.
Starting point is 01:27:40 Right. Like, why he keep doing that every week? Damn it. Look, you get quiet now. No, it's not. Sip a little water. It's not water. All right, let me see
Starting point is 01:27:49 what else is going on here. Designer. You know what I got here written down here on this thing? Let's hear it. I think, I think we need to give it up
Starting point is 01:28:01 for A-Rod, man. What would A-Rod do? Okay. Nothing happened for A-Rod, man. What would A-Rod do? Okay. Nothing happened with A-Rod. Okay. Let me just make myself clear. Nothing happened where he's in the news or anything or a lot of people are talking about him.
Starting point is 01:28:16 But I was talking about the Met Gala, which led to J-Lo, which led to A-Rod. Or was I talking about the Yankees and the Red Sox? Either way, I was talking about A-Rod. Boy, for A-Rod to be as loved as he is today, for him to penetrate Jennifer Lopez, probably unprotected today, for him to still be a high-priced bag today, he's still A-list.
Starting point is 01:28:50 We want to know what A-Rod is doing. For a nigga that scammed and cheated the system of baseball. You have to remember, he almost got the fuck out of here. He was pretty hated for a while. A long time. For a while, yeah. Niggas don't. Well, that's what happens when you move to a New York sports franchise.
Starting point is 01:29:07 And stand next to Derek Jeter. Yeah, but he was cheating and the lies were bad. He was getting caught. And then he stopped being good at baseball when he was still on the payroll for a lot of money.
Starting point is 01:29:17 So as a Yankee fan, that was tough. That was like the Allen Houston contract. Then Jose's book came out. That didn't help. Yeah, but A-Rod is, I mean. Yeah, but A-Rod
Starting point is 01:29:25 is, I mean... Yeah, he endured a rough period. Look at A-Rod today. God damn it. The rebrand of the brand that was already there. I'm giving him a round of applause. That money will do for you. That nigga's skin still look good and everything.
Starting point is 01:29:40 I think he invested well. That money ain't going nowhere. No, you say that, but... he has a show i think teaching athletes he probably got him he got a bunch of shows and i'm sure he invested well but i don't want to say that like it's a given too many athletes and entertainers have made a lot of money and lost a lot of money so and and not to mention when people normally go through those big expensive lawsuits i don't care how much money you have. That costs money. So half of whatever you have, I'm taking it off after the case.
Starting point is 01:30:11 He was an announcer on one of those channels for a while. He was doing his thing. What do y'all think about all the Cowboys getting the big bag to announce shit? Dallas Cowboys? Yes. Like the retired players you mean? Jason Whitten. Four million dollars. ESPN. Yeah, but they're trying to do that.
Starting point is 01:30:32 Tony Romo. CBS. Troy Aikman. Michael Irvin. Yeah, because they have followings already. So when they move into television and talk about football. Dallas is the most valuable franchise. I'm not going to beef about it too much because we got Mike Strahan. move into television and talk about football. Dallas is the most valuable franchise. And you know, homeboys are actually running the NFL.
Starting point is 01:30:45 I'm not going to beef about it too much because we got Mike Strahan. And Mike Strahan's on everything. He's on everything. So I'm not going to beef about it too much.
Starting point is 01:30:55 I'm a little mad that Tiki Barber still gets to run around talking. There's a few of them niggas that we got to wonder. Tiki did the Giants well. No, he didn't. No, no. And that's a Giant. them Niggas that we gotta wonder Did he do the Giants well? No he didn't
Starting point is 01:31:05 No no As a Giant Yeah He didn't exit well I mean It's hard to exit well He exited Slamming
Starting point is 01:31:13 Eli Manning Slamming Tom Coughlin And slamming the organization And And what? New York sports for you Word No I'm not feeling that
Starting point is 01:31:23 Y'all like Reggie Miller announcing games? No. No. He's terrible. I mean, I have a deep hate for Reggie Miller as is, so I'd be campy. I mean, he's way better than Chris Webber. I'll say that. I don't know about that.
Starting point is 01:31:36 I can't objectively talk about this. Reggie Miller is a way better announcer than Chris Webber. I don't think Reggie Miller is better than anybody. Have you heard of Chris Webber? Yeah. Okay. Listen to Chris Webber? Yeah. Listen to Chris closely. Closely.
Starting point is 01:31:52 He be all over the place with his shit. It's going to be a sad day in the world when Hubie Brown stops calling the game. I'll tell you that much. Hubie Brown don't take a blade. It might be almost time for Hubie to just bow. No way. No way. I'm going to tell you why. Because Hubie on his – it might be almost time for Hubie to just bow. No way. No way. No, I'm going to tell you why because Hubie, he can't – his eyes is going, man. He be calling the wrong player the wrong names.
Starting point is 01:32:11 I'm like, he not even on this team. He be like, who you talking about? His mind is – Oh, no, he – that's forever. He knows the game. His mind is super sharp, though. He be explaining that shit like I'm a coach. Yeah, no, he know the game.
Starting point is 01:32:25 I'm like, wait, what cut did he make? Yeah. Reggie is definitely that shit like I'm a coach. Yeah, no. He know the game. I'm like, wait, what cut did he make? Reggie is definitely the worst announcer. Chris Webber. Possibly of all professional sports. Chris Webber. By far.
Starting point is 01:32:33 Maybe it's just that Reggie annoys me a little bit anyway. Chris Webber is the worst. I still hate Bill Walton. Unpopular opinion. I like Bill Walton. I always hated him.
Starting point is 01:32:43 He's mad goofy, so I just, you know what I mean? That's what I hate hate that's a great segue right there alright more goofy shit more goofy
Starting point is 01:32:52 alright give me some dramatic give me some dramatic music what is happening oh that's worse that's dramatic though where is this playing from oh the record's going off
Starting point is 01:33:00 whoa the pitch is different alright let's see here where am I at? Give me some. There we go. Much better.
Starting point is 01:33:07 Was this a case of the PCs having his cake and eating it too? Because when he wasn't with Yen, he was with Erica. When he wasn't with Erica. Y'all never support me. Because if both women carried a term, the pregnancies would have some overlap. All right, so. term the pregnancies would have some overlap all right so uh does anyone know how this black china beef with her mom originated no but neither do i that probably i don't think it doesn't it probably doesn't matter at all they probably don't know yeah fuck it let's just do it um
Starting point is 01:33:40 i have a dramatic read from black china's mom who who let me not, her name is the real Miss Tokyo Tony. Duh. Who didn't know that? China, Tokyo. I see it. Got it. And this says, but why don't you just text your daughter? That would be thinking too much.

Starting point is 01:37:16 No, don't you be safe. I hate it when that was the term of endearment to take about. All right. Where we at? I don't give a fuck because I don't give a fuck. Oh.
Starting point is 01:37:27 Who is really in your head? Who was really on the phone or standing there coaching you from what it sounded like to me? You still have not called and apologized to me. I did nothing to you but love you, raise you, and protect you, and be your fucking footstool, bitch. That's crazy. I got a gunshot. If you're at work, man, turn it down. Apologize to your coworker in advance.
Starting point is 01:37:53 Here comes a gunshot. Three, two, one. Don't you wish gunshots came with countdowns? Yes. Less bodies. Not on web. They let it loose. Wait, where am I at here?
Starting point is 01:38:12 Who's really going to call me? You have these yes bitches around you all motherfucking day, and they don't give a fuck about you. It's obvious, dummy. Starting point is 01:38:55 But I said you did to save your face. Wait, there's more? To save your face? You are despicable as a child, and I'm very embarrassed and ashamed of you to be my fucking daughter that I raised. Now give me credit. Do you know how many dicks I had to suck, bitch, so you could eat? I was going to say, you need to get to the best part. I'm going to rewind that.
Starting point is 01:39:11 I'm going to rewind that and read it properly now. Man, that's a bummer. Too much. Listen, I don't know where Black China gets any of her behavior from's a little too much Nah come on That's a little too much I don't know where Black China gets any Of her behavior from This is so weird Nah you can't do that
Starting point is 01:39:30 This is not The apple falling from the tree This is the tree Falling from the apple I'm too visual To even read the rest Let's see One penny to the child
Starting point is 01:39:37 One penny But I say You are despicable To the child And I'm very embarrassed And ashamed of you To beat my fucking daughter That I raised
Starting point is 01:39:44 To not give me credit. Do you know how many dicks I had to suck, bitch, so you could eat? Well, it also depends on what was for dinner. Like, what did she eat? Like, what was she eating? Was it dessert? Right. McDonald's?
Starting point is 01:40:00 Yeah, that's a good point, mom. I didn't look at it that way. Do you know how many whole stroll trolls I had to go down, bitch, to make sure you was good for school and you fuck me like this? No.
Starting point is 01:40:10 Fuck you, bitch. It's coming, my love. Catch my book. It speaks the truth. There's a book coming. This was to plug the book. Got it.
Starting point is 01:40:19 Okay. The truth is revealed. Yeah. My phone number is still the fucking same. Yeah, well, I don't really want to call you after you did revealed. Yeah. My phone number is still the fucking same. Yeah, well, I don't really want to call you after you did this. Yeah, no. It disturbs me when people have issues with their mom now that I'm reading this.
Starting point is 01:40:34 When women have issues with their mom in particular. That's crazy to me. I would expound on that point. Yeah. But I'm not. That's a little crazy. Stay away from that one. You can always kind of tell
Starting point is 01:40:46 who's a... Of course. Of course. Absolutely. 100%. All the time. You know which women don't get along with their moms. You can only see the apple in the tree. I have no idea why they're beefing, but it just was a funny read.
Starting point is 01:41:04 And then I asked Rory what was on his list, and it was something about Travis Scott's kid. I don't know what's going on. Oh, I put it in the group chat that Travis Scott's mother is trying to get a paternity test because the pictures came out of the kid and whatever his baby mom's name. Which Kardashian is that? Kylie Jenner. Her bodyguard looked just like the kid
Starting point is 01:41:26 and I was hoping you were gonna reply Maul to get rid of all these rumors Maul never really replies in a group chat how many group chats are you a part of about four
Starting point is 01:41:36 yo you are a loser I'm not by choice why are you a part oh okay niggas just add me to chat and start talking all day so you're the opposite of a loser. You're cool.
Starting point is 01:41:47 Absolutely. Well, yeah, so that happened. Is that a rumor? I don't know. They broke it down with a picture. It looked pretty telling. I did see that picture, but I don't know. Yeah, Maul kind of got this job by having all the inside information,
Starting point is 01:42:03 and then he just stopped having it no i'm i that shit like that i always think is like just bullshit i don't believe that that his mother is really asking for paternity tests oh i don't i don't either i'm not i'm not paying that story now the picture i saw and that was it was a little definitely don't look like much like travis he didn't look like a bodyguard to begin with. Yeah, he didn't. Like a model. But they said that Tyga said that's his kid still.
Starting point is 01:42:30 Oh my God. Right? I can't keep up with all the kids. Can't keep up with all the Kardashians. I just can't keep up with the kids
Starting point is 01:42:35 that people are having and with the kid mix-ups. It's too much, man. Like, there's still the Khloe rumors going around. Yeah, like it's way too much
Starting point is 01:42:44 shit going on. Yeah, I can't, I don't know. That happens in the hood, though, as I wouldn't say. It's just It's way too much shit going on Yeah I can't I don't know That happens in the hood though I wouldn't say It's just a Kardashian thing I don't think it's a Kardashian thing
Starting point is 01:42:51 And they always try to say The hood be wilder Calabasas I think Calabasas Has the hood beat For sure If I put a camera on What goes on in Calabasas
Starting point is 01:42:59 24-7 For sure Yeah Absolutely And they got Crips out there now According to Maxwell Whoever the fuck it was. Crips and Calabasas?
Starting point is 01:43:08 Which person they asked- That sounded like a show. No, it was TMZ. Crips and Calabasas. Asked if the Crips was after Kanye and Calabasas. It was someone that was not a Crip. Crips and Calabasas. I'd watch that show.
Starting point is 01:43:22 You talking about Daz? No, Daz was the one that said it but they asked someone in the airport it was like an R&B singer that was like I don't know I ain't doing that it's mad R&B gang members
Starting point is 01:43:33 no no no like an older one I told you I need the sheet to know all R&B gang members Rory has the sheet yo I'm not exposing his job man what are they doing up there
Starting point is 01:43:43 with the analytics why does he have that Yo, I'm not exposing his job, man. What are they doing up there with the analytics? Why does he have that? Well, while you search for that. Well, what am I looking at here? What are you doing for Mother's Day, you guys? It was Eric Benet they asked for. Eric Benet, definitely.
Starting point is 01:44:00 Ask Eric Benet? He's definitely a crip. The Crips was after Kanye and Calabasas. How would Eric Benet know about anything? That's what he seems like. Eric Benet is a crip. Crips was after Kanye and Calabasas how would Eric Benet know about any of that that's what he seems like Eric Benet is a crip Eric Benet is too busy fuck it he doesn't do that anymore
Starting point is 01:44:11 according to his Twitter he doesn't have sex anymore yo y'all are fucking nuts what you mean he doesn't do that anymore didn't he react to home slow comment we gotta centralize this podcast
Starting point is 01:44:21 I mean but shit I know he's still having sex you don't go from being a sex addict to none at all. That's not how that happens. Oh, speaking of sex, this is- Oh, wait, hold on. Kanye West, three hours ago, Kanye West and The Clear,
Starting point is 01:44:32 the Crips threat has been lifted. Just in case y'all was a little worried. Okay. Kanye's safe. Kanye's safe. The world is a better place- Just because I know. We was reporting it three hours.
Starting point is 01:44:43 I'm noticing now. Y'all not sick of hip hop I've been sick of hip hop Can I ask y'all for real Let's have a real adult I've been sick of hip hop I know Rory's 28 So he still gotta
Starting point is 01:44:52 Claim it Yo we still got some over here I am sick of this shit What See I don't even play Hip hop sleepers no more I'm sick of this shit man No country for old men.
Starting point is 01:45:05 It's not a young man's game. It's WWF, man. There's too much shit going on, man. There's too much circus acts. Yeah, I get it. I get it. But whatever. Get you a show like Method Man has.
Starting point is 01:45:16 Like Cribs and Calabasas? And rap against other funny, fat celebrities. Did you say Cribs and Calabasas? Cribs. Oh, Cribs and Calabasas. Yeah. I do think Homie Court should be a show. That would be great. I think Cribs and Calabasas? Cribs. Oh, Cribs in Calabasas. Yeah. I do think Homie Court should be a show. That would be great.
Starting point is 01:45:29 I would love to produce Homie Court. In like a Maury type style? I would love to produce Cribs in Calabasas. Yeah, where friends come up and I'm the judge. Why don't you just put this out here? I would edit this. That's an amazing idea. I started already.
Starting point is 01:45:43 Okay. Well, good job. I started already. Well good job I started already This is promo Yeah Just taking China So if you do have If you
Starting point is 01:45:51 If you are indeed A friend out there And there are some Personal issues Or grievances That you'd like to Get off of your chest See I need
Starting point is 01:46:00 Oh come to Come to Comey Court Yeah I'm working on my set And I know you've been Waiting to wear A judge's outfit Your whole career You watch too much Law and Order To not want to wear Do Court. I'm working on my set. And I know you've been waiting to wear a judge's outfit your whole career.
Starting point is 01:46:06 You watch too much Law & Order to not want to wear it. Do you think I should wear one? Absolutely. With the wig, too. Don't do that, Rory. Nah. He's on to something. Rory thinks we can't fight.
Starting point is 01:46:17 Barnes thinks we can't fight. He's on to something. First episode. I'm going to think about that. The white curls? I'll think about I'm going to think about that. The white curls? I'll think about that. I'll think about it. I want to get a good homie court.
Starting point is 01:46:31 That's the problem. I got to solicit good homie court cases, though. Oh, yeah. I wouldn't want Maul to be a part of my show somehow, though. In this show. He's the plate dog. I was about to say. He could be like the bailiff.
Starting point is 01:46:39 Yeah, bailiff. That's what it is. Oh, Savon is the stenographer. Yeah, for sure. Yeah, he's our stenographer. Maul Savon is the stenographer. Yeah, for sure. Yeah, he's our stenographer. Mo will be a cool bailiff. Mo is the bailiff. Absolutely.
Starting point is 01:46:50 Mo the bailiff. Why is that hilarious? That's funny as fuck. All right, let me see. Oh, shit. I forgot. Y'all said something that was making me. I forgot what y'all said, but this is old news,
Starting point is 01:47:06 but I just want to throw out there that Donald Trump reversed his position on paying the escort Stormy Daniels. Now. I didn't think anything was wrong with that. Well, when I read the story. Look at our president, man. This was the only time where I kind of felt Kanye feeling the president. I'm like, you got to reverse your position on paying escorts, bro.
Starting point is 01:47:31 Only in America. He was the money guy, if we're going to go back to categories for a callback. Trump was the money guy. She got super shorts, by the way. No, that's a different category. I'm telling you, Donald Trump is the sugar daddy. Why did she only take a buck 30? Yeah, she bugged out.
Starting point is 01:47:46 She bugged out. She bugged. Even before he ran for president. Chicks don't be knowing how to hoe, man. I thought he was killing the girls after he fucked them. The buck 30? I feel like when you're in that type of rich, you kill the escorts afterwards. And no one ever sees them again.
Starting point is 01:47:59 You know what the problem is? And there's a problem probably in the white escort community. The white escort, they probably don't know how to really target the sucker like that, even though Donald Trump should have been an obvious one. But, like, I've seen chicks in starlets fucking target the sucker at 9.30 p.m. They sit by him all night. Look at the way his Jordans are laced. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:48:19 Yo, them chicks in starlets, their profiling skills? Yeah, some of the white ass scores. Yo, the strip club is just, when you sit back and just look at what goes on in the strip club, it is super hilarious. You know what's funny about that? It's the circle of life. You know what's funny about that? It's a representation of the world. I went to Starlets.
Starting point is 01:48:36 Really? The other day. I lost my phone too. You didn't even hit me. That's fucked up. I lost my phone too. Because it's not even a real night in Starlets if you didn't lose your phone. That's true.
Starting point is 01:48:45 And I learned so much about myself in this moment in Starlets. What did you learn? I mean, outside of fucking me and Simby for the next day. But, and I don't think I lost my phone. I think I was targeted. I think my phone. You were the sucker? No, I think my, you know how you put your phone right in front of you?
Starting point is 01:49:04 I haven't been to Starlets in a long you? I haven't been to Starlet's in a long time. I haven't been in that mix in a long time. But you can't just leave your $1,000, $1,400 phone sitting on the counter when you're alone.
Starting point is 01:49:17 You're rusty. Yes, yes, that's what I'm saying. Because I'll never not have my phone. But this is what I learned about myself. I learned about myself I learned one uh I'm like I got a lot of people like no let me not say that what I learned about myself was one I didn't panic at all when I lost my phone that was new that was a new feeling I didn't care at all. I was actually happy that whoever took the phone
Starting point is 01:49:47 took the phone. And the next day, I could just go and get a phone. And that iPhone has made it so easy to do all the stuff that you got to do. That was the hassle when always losing the phone
Starting point is 01:49:56 and all your personal information. But now once they wipe this, well, I think they wipe it. Yeah, they do. Yeah, they wipe it. Yeah, so I didn't give a fuck about that. So that was great, one. Two, I didn't know anybody in about that so that was great one two
Starting point is 01:50:05 i didn't know anybody in the strip club that's how old and washed niggas i knew two people i mean as far as bartenders and workers and yeah i knew two people in there there's a whole different scene though yeah it was very different it was it was very different i threw some money in there just to money in there just because I was in there. But yeah, it was a good night because I lost my phone in Starlitz. I was observing in there. It's the same shit. Same shit, nothing changed.
Starting point is 01:50:34 Strip clubs in New York is so trash. Yeah, nothing changed. But I was real happy to lose my phone. I don't know how we got on Starlitz. Oh, Profiling. Profiling. Profiling. Oh, because they still good in there on the pro-fallon.
Starting point is 01:50:46 Oh, yeah. Take a walk to the cash cage and see how many girls say hi. Turn around. Turn around from the cash cage. Hi. Yep. Listen, y'all ain't say nothing. I've been here for an hour.
Starting point is 01:50:56 Make it away from me. Your word. Rolling Loud is this weekend. I looked at those lineups again. I was trying to figure out which day I would go to and I couldn't figure it out. Oh, and reading
Starting point is 01:51:09 the Rolling Loud lineups from all three days. That was another time I felt really old and trash. I don't know any of those people. I don't know how you go
Starting point is 01:51:18 for three days of that. Even if I was 21, I don't know if I'd have the energy to do that. Yeah, they're doing too much. You gotta be on a lot of drugs to do that festival shit it's non-stop it's three days straight well i mean there's breaks in between but it's three days no i ain't built for that type of shit yeah you wait you were gonna go no i was like what
Starting point is 01:51:38 mind at a festival yeah you couldn't make it to the gate without losing your mind. Here go the Stalarts. She's not going to roll it loud, though. Well, rolling it loud is probably not the festival I would go to. I'm not a festival person.
Starting point is 01:51:54 I'm not really a festival guy. You're white. You're supposed to love festivals. And you wear the jeans that you wear to festivals and sit in the car. Levi's. Yeah, like, yeah.
Starting point is 01:52:05 Levi's. The festival jeans. Levi's. Yeah, like, yeah. Levi's. The festival gene. New campaign. Let me see. Okay. Listen to this podcast. Watch. We're going to be sitting here watching this TV.
Starting point is 01:52:16 The power trailer. Anybody saw it? Nah. No. And now I'm mad. Wait, hold on. A power trailer came out? I didn't see it.
Starting point is 01:52:25 I'm mad now, though. I didn't even know it was out. Last season was kind of trash. Nah, you didn't like last season? Nah. It had certain episodes were cool. That shit is drifting, bro. I love y'all.
Starting point is 01:52:34 Certain episodes was cool. This is the greatest podcast in the universe. I didn't see this. I didn't even know the trailer was out. I still want one week. All right. Because Maul had a few ideas of tricks he wanted to try with the podcast. He wanted to experiment.
Starting point is 01:52:48 I got tricks, too, I want to try. One week, can we come in here and I don't want to say y'all's topics because Rory write good topics sometimes. I want Maul to write everything that we talk about on one podcast. That should be dope. Oh, hell yeah. I could do that. When can you do that for me? I want to discuss anything you want to discuss.
Starting point is 01:53:06 Okay. Let's do it. When? Next podcast. Really? Next episode, yeah. You want to come in with a... Hey!
Starting point is 01:53:13 All right. Next episode. Will we have to remind you? No. Okay. Word. No. I'll write a list.
Starting point is 01:53:21 All right, good. Let's cover all my topics. Yeah. I would like to. Yeah. Bet. That's a bet my topics Yeah I would like to Yeah That's a bet Get to know you better Yeah that's a bet
Starting point is 01:53:28 He likes that He likes that idea We're gonna do that Alright cool Let me see Oh Power Trailer That's what we were talking about Yeah a Power Trailer
Starting point is 01:53:36 Did come out If we weren't in the middle Of the podcast I'd try to find it And show it to you guys Well 50 has been Putting trailers out They are
Starting point is 01:53:43 It's 50 Ghosts and Tommy Against Dre I'm Come on with you guys. Well, 50 has been putting trailers out on the show. It's 50, Ghost, and Tommy against Dre. Come on. I want to hear from y'all. Shit started to drift last season quite a bit. It was setting up for
Starting point is 01:53:55 this. For the three of them to get back together. I didn't love last That sounds like a bad bad. Yeah, because at the end, they was in the
Starting point is 01:54:00 car together when they peeled off. Yeah. After Rick killed the boy. And before last season when 50 was burnt on fire and then he lived
Starting point is 01:54:10 and escaped. Some of the writing has no scars. It's not a very well written show. The only thing I didn't like is how they was going uptown last episode
Starting point is 01:54:19 and they found parking immediately as soon as they went uptown. Oh yeah. Yeah. You know that's a lie. All four cars. They keep finding parking on 14th Street. went up to it. Oh, yeah. Yeah, you know that's a lie. All four cars. No, they keep finding parking
Starting point is 01:54:26 on 14th Street. Yeah, no. Like, get the fuck out of here, truth. You're not finding parking over here. Yeah, nigga, show them circling the block or something for a second. Yeah, you don't circle the block
Starting point is 01:54:35 for 20 minutes. That's half the episode. Believe that. No, but all right, so when Power first aired, I used to argue with Rory about just the potential of a power versus the wire. And we know how Rory feels about the wire. We about just the potential of a power versus the wire.
Starting point is 01:54:46 And we know how Rory feels about the wire. We know how a lot of people feel about the wire. I'm never going to ask that today just because of the course that the show has taken. I still like power. I'm still laughing at that comparison. It's still entertaining
Starting point is 01:55:01 to watch, but it's not good. Particularly. But listen, what I'm saying is this. Writing-wise. The same way if the writing team for It's still entertaining to watch, but it's not good, particularly. But listen, what I'm saying is this. Writing-wise. The same way, if the writing team for The Wire was stale, then The Wire wasn't going to be The Wire. You're right. The writing is kind of what made The Wire. For sure.
Starting point is 01:55:19 Oh, yeah, yeah. Along with some other things. For sure. Mostly the writing, though. The core of it was the writing. Even the shit that the season that I core of it was the writing. Even the shit, the season that I hated, which was what?
Starting point is 01:55:27 Season two. Season two is at the bottom. Yeah, it's still great. Still amazing writing, still needs to be there. With Power, I feel like, and this is not a shot
Starting point is 01:55:36 because I do enjoy Power. If they applied that same thinking with Power and weren't so married to characters, this could go somewhere. Yeah. I love power. I still watch it every single week.
Starting point is 01:55:50 I'm excited to see Ghost and Tommy in 50 take down fucking Rotimi, who just put an R&B album out. Which was good. It was a great album. I'm waiting for the next one. I am. That was a good album.
Starting point is 01:56:02 Hold up, that was my shit. I played that as a sleeper one time, but we won't get into that oh actually yes we will cause that's kinda my fucking point that he can't make a fire R&B album
Starting point is 01:56:10 than be an actor cause Mac did it with The Wire fam nah that was way after yeah Mac was like literally a little now he was a kid
Starting point is 01:56:18 he was like 9 on The Wire alright listen to me you don't know what he was cooking up back then listen to me you right I'm just being
Starting point is 01:56:25 Let's have an honest conversation Let me turn this down a little bit With Rotimi Over to Rotimi I love this song I love this song And Rotimi's album is great However
Starting point is 01:56:34 50 Cent And Ghost And Tommy Are teaming up See he should be an R&B singer on the show That would be even harder They're teaming up. See, he should be an R&B singer on the show. That would be even harder. They're teaming up.
Starting point is 01:56:52 He gives up the game. I'll be with it. Puts out the album. They're teaming up to take down him. He needs to sing on the show. And, Roteamy, this is how I know that you probably, you know what I mean? He needs to sing on the show and put out like a gangsta song or a beat song. And Rotimi, this is how I know that you probably, you know what I mean?
Starting point is 01:57:10 You made this song like two minutes and 30 seconds. This song was amazing. Like, that's what you get for trying to be a singer and a villain. He had weight to move. He had to get back to the block. What are you talking about? Nigga had to go.
Starting point is 01:57:23 He had to be back at Truth. He had to find parking. He had to get back to the block. What are you talking about? Nigga had to go. He had to be back at Truth. He had to find parking. Yeah. He had to go. This record is hard, but listen. This is the person they're trying to take down on season three. Yeah. Now, I understand that they built Dre up to be this nigga with all these connects last season.
Starting point is 01:57:42 I understand that. But my point in this, if we just can think a second, is the writing team. Tell me what happens after this. You know how when the guy is doing the magic trick by the train station in the street with the three cards? Well, that was back in the day.
Starting point is 01:58:02 With the three cards, and there's only but so many combinations you can come up with. He could find Well, that was back in the day. With the three cards. Yeah, nobody had that. And Ben Simmons. Don't get me started on Ben Simmons, all right,
Starting point is 01:59:25 who secured the winning rebound. And then I'm done with him. Anyway, what was I talking about just now? Power and where they can go with this. Yeah, come on, Mo. How much more can you give me? We got to see. I am going to watch, but.
Starting point is 01:59:37 We got to see. We got to see. I'm not because, only because I feel like we said this two seasons ago. I know, and they heard us, and they killed somebody that they felt was Only because I feel like we said this two seasons ago. I know, and they heard us, and they killed somebody that they felt was important. Raina. That was crazy. They thought that that was a big thing. It was a big thing, though.
Starting point is 01:59:55 Oh, wait, and before that, no, that wasn't really a big thing. What? Holly Dine was a big thing. No. Raina, Ghost's daughter getting shot in the chest was not a big thing. Are y'all crazy? Do we even know if she's dead? She's dead.
Starting point is 02:00:07 What? They went to the funeral. Oh, there was a funeral. Yeah. They went from the funeral to the funeral. I thought they left the opening.

Starting point is 02:01:23 Don't ever tell me doppelganger again. Don't use that word. I asked you if you knew it. All right, forget it. I don't want to know what a doppelganger is? They my size. Doppelganger. Don't ever tell me doppelganger again. Don't use that word again. I asked you if you knew what it was. I don't want to know what a doppelganger is. That's like the farmer's almanac. Starting point is 02:01:47 trying to know shit. No, you're just mad because I'm still talking about Lawrence Tate on Power. Oh, yeah. Why are we still talking about Lawrence Tate? Because I think his character this season is going to be played by a congressman or some shit. Huh? Yeah, but that's why I'm saying it's going to go deeper than we think.
Starting point is 02:02:03 All right. I might roll with it. Yeah. All right. Listen, they were really anxious for us to give an Avengers recap. Has anyone here seen the Avengers? No. Yes, I finally saw it.

Starting point is 02:04:05 And that's probably about all the applause that I'm was alright. I don't really remember. And that's probably about all the applause that I'm going to give away. What's the name? Doctor Strange, dude. He was dope. I like Doctor Strange, dude. Doctor Strange was aight, but he was getting his ass beat up. Back to Guardians of the Galaxy. They had a plan.
Starting point is 02:04:20 They devised a plan. They almost got the fucking glove and this sucker for love ass nigga comes and fucks it all up. I don't want to hear another thing about a guardian of the galaxy. The galaxy's dead. Yeah. He ruined the fucking galaxy over a girl. It's always over a girl.
Starting point is 02:04:36 Every beef is over a girl, man. Every single one. Every single one. But he had a good reason to go crazy at that point, though. Once he found out she was dead. Man, you don't see me about to take the glove off this nigga. If you don't get out of here. They were telling him, like, don't do it.
Starting point is 02:04:51 Like, chill. What's his name? I don't even know. I don't even know his name. I would have shot that nigga right in the head immediately. Get out of here with your dumb ass. You're taking the glove off. That's number one.
Starting point is 02:05:02 Number two. Fam, I never want to hear about captain america again wasn't from a cat no so we're playing end of the road for all of these niggas that lost their lives thinking they were tougher than they didn't die though they just turned to them i think that you fighting the toughest person in the history of the Marvel universe and y'all looking around saying what time does Steve Rogers get here
Starting point is 02:05:31 yo you think I want to go fight a nigga named Thanos with someone named Steve Rogers he wasn't even dressed in his little American suit that nigga showed up in his little American suit. That nigga showed up in his fucking play clothes

Starting point is 02:05:55 Now you see the shield is made from vibranium. You see how it tied in when Black Panther was like, get this man a shield. I been knew that that was made from that. I didn't know that.
Starting point is 02:06:06 Yo, niggas was getting their ass beat Black Panther was like get this man a shield. I been knew that that was made from that. I didn't know that. Starting point is 02:06:26 Thanos kicked A by ass, just like I said they would. Rory, you still gonna see it? Well, damn, Parks, we need to go see this. It was a good one. After that review. Oh, wait, no. Before you got here, I was asking Rory, do you remember a few weeks ago when after the podcast,
Starting point is 02:06:37 I said, hey, did y'all see the Avengers? Mm-hmm. Do you remember what both of y'all said back? I'm not gonna see it. Thank you. Because I said that today. I said, so did you see The Avengers? And Rory snapped and pulled his white privilege out of his pocket and shit it on.
Starting point is 02:06:52 He said, first of all, I never go see any of those movies. I'm not into that. And I never told you that I would go. I would never even say to anyone I would go and see a Marvel movie because I hate Marvel movies. So you are mistaken. Why are you talking like Thor right now? That's how Thor speaks?
Starting point is 02:07:11 That's how I heard it when he was when he was stunting on me. But he did say he was going to see it. So he stunted on me and he don't care about it.
Starting point is 02:07:17 It was a good movie. I should see it. It was a good movie. I feel like I got to watch all of them. You don't. No. Let's go watch the movie.
Starting point is 02:07:26 This was a movie that a bunch of people That aren't in the comics went to see That's how it becomes the fastest grossing whatever Niggas thought they was gonna let that Wakanda record stay there And I still don't believe that I still think Black Panther Because the theaters wasn't as packed To go see Avengers Yeah but it was probably released in a lot more theaters.
Starting point is 02:07:46 Maybe. I mean, I don't know. I don't know. I'm just throwing shit at the wall. I don't know. But it was a good movie.
Starting point is 02:07:51 Fine. And that's the end of the recap since they don't want to talk about it. Mother's Day creeps up on me every year. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:07:59 And it's every year. And it's long because your mom is going to remind you that it's Mother's Day. And I had a new kid. It's also my mom's birthday. Oh, my going to remind you that it's Mother's Day. And I had a new kid, so my mom. It's also my mom's birthday. Oh, my God.

Starting point is 02:08:32 $700,000 worth of flowers Another $200,000 on candles Yo you know why it's fucked up $200,000 on candles You know why it's fucked up I pulled that one out the bag Year one Oh yeah that's where you fucked up

It's the water. I think I really do have to do something. That's where men be fucking up, though. Early in the relationship,
Starting point is 02:09:09 someone do too much. All right, watch. She's going to get used to that, then you're going to get tired of it, and you'll run out of tricks. That's when you just got to be a real nigga. Go tell him straight up, like, listen,

Starting point is 02:11:37 but then he was like these are parts of the stories I don't like telling you told it right like what are you talking about and my thing is just some things no homo does nothing for
Starting point is 02:11:44 no homo does nothing for your fight you slipping on semen in the floor like come on yeah there's multiple people during the fight anytime where you have to call it semen something's wrong anyway yeah like why are you calling it semen yeah that's a story that we would have died with yeah whoever i'm with i'm looking looking you in the eye and say, fam, you know this never spoke about. How many stories do I have that I'm going to die with? Everybody has a story they're going to die with. No,
Starting point is 02:12:11 I have some. I'm trying to see if I have a lot. Yeah, whatever. It doesn't matter. Come on, Rory wants to talk
Starting point is 02:12:16 about J. Cole. Come on, Rory. Let's talk about J. Cole. Bring it on home. How did I become the J. Cole guy? You've been the J. Cole guy. You wear fucking dirty Adidas.
Starting point is 02:12:31 You wear dirty Adidas. That's cool. He wears the cool dirty Adidas. What's those shits? The Stan Smith? What does he do? Yeah, come on, Rory. Joe's the van wearer, not me.
Starting point is 02:12:42 For sure. Joe definitely has a boat. Yo, Moe switched sides quick. Who are you against wearer, not me. For sure. Joe definitely has a boat. Yo, mole switch sides quick. Who are you against? I'm not against either one of y'all. I'm just saying, you are the vans god. Well, all right. Thank you.

Starting point is 02:13:00 Joe does the vans with sweats, too. That's kind of what I'm saying. Now, you ankle man from now on. That's a dirty nigga. Yo, you know how I knew I was a different type of dirty, grimy, Jersey, just washed old nigga? I lit a cigarette the other day and definitely thought about returning it. What? To the store?
Starting point is 02:13:19 Yes. Why? It tastes right. It's a stale. Oh, the pack, you mean. Okay. And then I stopped as I was walking back to my car and said, Joe, you can't return cigarettes. Yo, I'll tell you.
Starting point is 02:13:31 You and Parks are definitely like two of the only people I know that still smoke cigarettes. I don't want to smoke. I hate it. It's the nastiest, ugliest. It's old. It's whack. But they're putting shit in there, man. They make it hard.
Starting point is 02:13:43 My heart started beating fast when I'd go like a long time without it. That's what makes me rush back and get another one. Yeah, you might be past that time to quit. You got to find something else to pick up. No, I'm going to die soon. Don't say that. That's not cool. Whatever.
Starting point is 02:13:58 Yo, whatever. Joe is an idiot, man. There's really something wrong with this thing. Knock on the table. Knock on the table Knock on the table Park's got the man that is the wood
Starting point is 02:14:08 It's the wood in this table you ever find Wood from 1700 This is the first wood That's a sturdy table This is God Nigga God is God has made this
Starting point is 02:14:19 Jesus made this God is a carpenter I might live forever What the fuck is y'all talking about Y'all better not, too. You had a pretty good argument. Come on, Rory. There you go.
Starting point is 02:14:31 Come on, talk about Cole. Talk about Cole. Do you want to talk about his sign? Because I was going over the list at fucking 5 p.m. And Rory comes in. Hey, don't forget Cole's on tour. And he shouted out someone. I don't know what he was saying. Who did he shout out?
Starting point is 02:14:46 I was reading my list off. And you know Joe has selective hearing and memory. And he's just a liar. So I was reading off the list and I mentioned that. I'd be lying. Yes. And the listeners believe you. That's the wild part.
Starting point is 02:14:59 Lies make the story fun. Anyways. The listeners definitely believe him. That's what makes it fun too. Oh yeah. They definitely believe him. That's what makes it fun too. Oh, yeah. They definitely believe him. That's swag. That's not swag, but go ahead.
Starting point is 02:15:08 That's the repertoire. That's not the repertoire either. What's up with you? You keep yelling out shit. No. I'm trying to pick myself up. It's none of that. It's none of that.
Starting point is 02:15:18 What were we talking about? It's none of that. The repertoire. Fuck out of here. It's none of that. This nigga said doppelganger and repertoire on the same day. Yeah, vocabulary. Doppelganger.
Starting point is 02:15:28 Come on, what are we talking about, man? You lost your jersey card with doppelganger. All right, so now you're not going to talk about Cole. I said that- Okay, talk about Jermaine. Young Thug is opening his show, and I thought that was a topic to be added to the list. I thought that was interesting. He's opening up on tour for him?
Starting point is 02:15:41 On the whole tour, yes. Young Thug is the opener. That's interesting. See? Interesting topic. That's not somebody I would have thought about. Well whole tour, yes. Young Thug is the opener. That's interesting. See? Interesting topic. That's not somebody I would have thought about. Well, he's trying to bridge the gap with the kids. Ah.
Starting point is 02:15:50 Bring the mumble rap. The only person I ever heard say bridge the gap. You must not be a Nas fan. Yeah. No, I get it though. Now with the mumble rap shit, I see what Jermaine trying to do. Who's going to be more mad though? Thug fans or Cole fans?
Starting point is 02:16:05 Nobody's going to be mad. They're going to understand. They're going to come to an understanding and party together. I don't think itaine trying to do. Who's going to be more mad, though? Thug fans or Cole fans? Nobody's going to be mad. They're going to understand. They're going to come to an understanding and party together. Come together. I don't think it's going to happen. Sober and sandy. We are the world to our Cole. I don't know, man.
Starting point is 02:16:12 Yeah. I think if anybody can do it, he can do it. Well, he was safe with Thug because we were saying earlier that we like Thug. It's not really the mumble rapper anymore. Yeah. But did you have anything to touch upon with J. Cole, bro? No. No, I didn't
Starting point is 02:16:25 Okay You wanted to talk about Verb and Moop too, right? I thought that was interesting That Moop has now decided to battle again And chose Verb You guys are battle rap fans? Am I alone here? I don't know who Verb is
Starting point is 02:16:39 A Verb? You do know Yeah, A Verb Okay A Verb, as much as I love him Has been on a mean losing streak. He has. He's from St. Louis.
Starting point is 02:16:48 Yes. Okay. I think even A-Verb will admit that he has been on a losing streak for whatever the reason be. Now, I'm sure he's still nice, but that just seems like a weird battle move being at somewhere near the top of battle rap royalty taking on someone who is perceived to have some losses recently. I still think Ver when he gets in his bag is like, as a writer, I know
Starting point is 02:17:11 what he is capable of doing, but I don't know if I'm excited about that battle. Now, there's another battle that I am excited about. Now, only one round of it has been released, but Cortez apparently is battling Carmelo Anthony. What?
Starting point is 02:17:28 Yo, I got to follow the people you follow. I don't worry. What? Where did you see that? Listen, bro, I'm just giving you the news. Hey, before we get into this, man, let's spread some good joy and favor. Let's spread some good joy and favor. Hey, this nigga's song is a hit, too.
Starting point is 02:17:44 It's a little famous. The little famous shit. This song is dope. All right, Cortez is battling Carmelo Anthony. I don't know why this was on the timeline. Defense us against them. Won the chip at Syracuse so you was set on a mission. You dominated in the paint with athleticism. Was never missing.
Starting point is 02:18:01 I swore you would be elite with a better system. So when you left for OKC, I was hyped, but now I'm like, well, Phil Jackson just might be right. The same pull-up, same ISO. Defense is on you. You've been 15 years and added nothing to your arsenal. Why is he talking about? Why is he battling
Starting point is 02:18:17 Carmelo? Smarter when he was past his prime. Damn, what happened? The raw score with broad shoulders. The step back. The pull-up for crossover. What happened? Carm raw score with broad shoulders. The step back. The pull up. The crossover. What happened? Hoodie Mellor.
Starting point is 02:18:28 Legend. It's all water in the playoffs. Boy got benched in the fourth quarter. Take it personal. Show some emotion. I'm a true believer. You got me thinking that Lala de Bilgeria. Demons you gotta shake off.
Starting point is 02:18:40 Three to the door. Get back the leg in the trailer. Bilingual bars. Vanished in the playoffs. Played soft. Lazy. can't set a pick off. Sex is now where every other play you want to take off. As far as me goes, I peeped off. He mad.
Starting point is 02:18:53 He mad about that whole Knicks situation. I feel him. I'm on board. Those are hurt bars. You can tell when it's hurt. But why is a battle rapper battling Carmelo Anthony? You didn't see that whole six months where all the battle rappers started battling his basketball teams? No.
Starting point is 02:19:10 What? Y'all, come on. Y'all missed that. No, I do remember. Go home and YouTube that now. No, I did see. I stepped away from that whole battle rap shit for a while. Nah, but so did they.
Starting point is 02:19:18 And they started rapping about sports. They became teams. K-Shine and DNA went on a tour to colleges or something. And they went to ESPN offices. Yeah, and they were rapping as the Cowboys and the Giants. Get the fuck out of here. I'm not making any of this up. I swear to God.
Starting point is 02:19:34 Yo, we got to do something. We got to help battle rappers. I thought the Giants won the battle. I was going for K-Shine. The Giants won the battle. Yo, the battle rappers is doing some wild shit out here, man. Oh, my God. No, I'm glad I missed that.
Starting point is 02:19:49 I don't want to see that. I think I stopped when I seen them battling girls. I'm done. I'm done. I'm done with you. When I seen dudes battling girls, I'm done. Yeah, DNA was in the hallway battling jazz. Yeah, that's when I stopped. That's when all the niggas was trying to battle jazz. Yeah, I think that's when I stopped.
Starting point is 02:20:05 That's when all the niggas was trying to battle jazz. I was like, poor jazz. I was done. This is getting weird. Wait a minute. Now that I'm thinking about all the battle rap fuckery, I then saw a math post a flyer. Well, he retweeted it.
Starting point is 02:20:19 Niggas be trying to get it off by retweeting something that they like, that a fan did, but it's still corny. I've seen it. He retweeteting something that they like that a fan did but it's still corny I've seen it he retweeted something that was a playoff of Avengers with all the battle rappers disintegrating and him in the middle but instead of Thanos it said Mathos
Starting point is 02:20:37 I'm just telling you what was said what did you guys do to battle who do you follow it's Joe it's Joe Matthews
Starting point is 02:20:50 after Joe battle the fucking culture these niggas started trying to do everything I ruined the culture
Starting point is 02:20:56 Joe killed battle Joe was there too though Joe was Thanos he killed everybody he killed the whole shit Joe killed the culture
Starting point is 02:21:04 yeah he killed the culture. Damn, I'm Mathos. You are Mathos. Joe-thos. You Joe-thos. All right, relax. Don't do that. Joe-thos.
Starting point is 02:21:16 Listen, we already... I'm a snuff mole. Yo, y'all don't think Joe-thos is funny? That's right, boys. But didn't Thanos win? Yes. Joe didn't. So did Joe Tho's.
Starting point is 02:21:32 Yo, you know what, Joe? Yo, let this show go on. I didn't see the movie, but Thanos didn't throw the mic down. Yo, listen, this is why Joe is crazy. Joe is the only nigga
Starting point is 02:21:40 in battle rap history that beat himself. He put the mic down. Joe's like, listen, if y'all don't stop. If y'all don't do what audience members always do at battles. If you all can't conduct yourself like audience members. Conduct yourself.
Starting point is 02:21:56 Then battle is over. Nigga, Joe acted like a substitute teacher. Joe was the line leader. Joe was the one to sit down and get it. Sit down in your seats. Parks, don't grab your knees and laugh. Don't bend down. Joe was like a like mature audience this battle will no longer be moving forward conduct yourself yeah if you can't conduct yourselves like a mature audience,
Starting point is 02:22:25 this battle is not going further. That's like in the beginning of the movie when they tell you all the movie rules, like don't use your phone while you're on the phone. Yeah, that was you. You was the no phone man. I won that battle. You sound like, what's homie Calico when, what's his name, was killing him? I killed you.
Starting point is 02:22:42 Calico had him, really. I killed you. Fam, you're the only one that think you killed him. No, let me say something. No, he is not the only one that thinks that, because he was killing him? I killed you. I killed you. Fam, you're the only one that think you killed him. No, let me say something. No, he is not the only one that thinks that. Because he was killing Lux the first two rounds. The first two? No.
Starting point is 02:22:52 Negative. No. As soon as... He won the first round by default. No, he won the first round. And then Lux slipped on the second round. So he kind of was heading into the third. 2-0.
Starting point is 02:23:04 That second round is a classic verse, man. That's a classic verse. You're confusing his second with his third. No, his second was... The third verse or whatever verse that was was so good that it doesn't matter what happened in the first verse. All I'm saying is that was a very strong Calico
Starting point is 02:23:19 performance. That's all I will say. He said, I killed you. He was the only one in the building that felt like he was killing Lux. Well, at that moment, yeah. Yeah, he was not killing Lux. All right, whatever, man. I'm off of it. But yeah, Joe killed battle rap.
Starting point is 02:23:33 Joe Thos. Joe Thos. Joe is a substitute teacher. If you all can't sit down, get out your books. I'll wait until you're quiet. This battle's over. Should I hold back? Should I hold back? Should I hold back?
Starting point is 02:23:47 Nah show them the repertoire It's for real I'm about to Put your mic down Lastly Cause we playing sleepers Getting the fuck out of here Rory wanted to tell us
Starting point is 02:23:53 About the reggae album Rihanna's reggae album Shit I just wanted to tell us about Well cause Those were the only things I didn't have The Rihanna reggae album And uh
Starting point is 02:24:02 Which I'm excited about I am too I wanna hear the Rihanna reggae album I just hope it comes about. I am too. I want to hear Rihanna reggae album. I just hope it comes out in the summertime. Oh, she trying to lock the summer down. I'll see what she doing. They better get my baby. Lingerie and a reggae album would probably lock the summer down.
Starting point is 02:24:15 I think those are the two things that would lock the summer down. Yeah. And Rihanna did that interview where she said her and Drake ain't friends. We knew that. Well, I think Scorpion was done and now we're about to get four fire bonus records after we went to that interview. Come on, man. We got to get into this deal real quick.
Starting point is 02:24:31 Break the news. Your screen. West Side Gun dissing Drake. That's big. Pause. Let's read that because he really went in and he said some true shit in there. But I'm not going to call that a diss. No, he didn't diss Drake. He said he's not beef. It's nothing like that. I'm not diss to call that a diss. No, he didn't diss Drake. He said he's, I'm just not beef. It's nothing like that.
Starting point is 02:24:46 I'm not, he just, I understand where West Side is coming from. He's noticing certain things and he feels like when bigger artists do what he's already been doing,
Starting point is 02:24:54 they get credited for it and he doesn't. There's a lot of things that people take, whether they take it or not, West Side has done this shit first. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:24:59 I mean, there's been other rappers that have been big on the wrestling thing, but I think like him and Wale were the two really big ones. And then he's saying Drake here with the Scorpion thing, that's been other rappers that have been big on the wrestling thing, but I think him and Wale were the two really big ones. And then he's saying Drake here with the Scorpion thing. That's been West Side's label's logo for quite some time.
Starting point is 02:25:12 And now Drake is doing the wrestling thing, too, and he's got the Scorpion thing. I would feel a way, too. Are you going to read us what he said? No, I'm not reading. It's a five-paragraph essay. I'm not reading that old shit. Okay, then I will read it since we have a podcast and we have to inform the audience of what we're talking about.
Starting point is 02:25:25 You're the reader. We can't just speak to of what we're talking about. You're the reader. You are the reader. Pass me your fucking 10-inch laptop, please. Thank you. 10-inch laptop. This is my third MacBook that I work off of. I never understand how you make it look too cool to do a podcast. Alright. West Side Gun says, and I quote, I just want to say
Starting point is 02:25:41 something. I don't know Drake. He probably a cool dude who knows. And I'm just speaking my mind. And we'll take this down soon because I take everything down. Not because of anybody. Trust me. But my company logo is the Scorpion. And coincidentally, he names his album Scorpion. I was at Coachella wearing the hat. And somebody says is that Drake's hat? I almost smacked him. Now he's rocking Scott Hall shit when I've never seen this nigga anywhere at a wrestling event and I go by Hall my point this industry funny as hell they never pay homage to the niggas who do this shit
Starting point is 02:26:16 for real they only acknowledge the niggas they dick ride my shit out the mud and I'm way ahead of my time I was robbed off the ghostbuster shit the half and half shit i barely get spoke about because i'm from buffalo and not nyc i barely get blogged about or even mentioned for the same shit niggas copy years later or blatantly i guess wrestling is cool now because of the migos when them niggas uh is years late I have nothing against anybody and niggas know how I give it up in real life. Fuck this industry shit. But just know I father a lot of shit with no credit just to watch niggas get all of it. I just got to laugh like I always say.
Starting point is 02:26:55 I don't care how old you are, how much money you have, how much you sold. When I look at niggas, I feel untouchable. I don't know when it's going to happen, but I'll be the biggest. All right. I think we got the important part of this he ends by saying y'all better stay woke I am the culture and again I have no beef
Starting point is 02:27:11 whatsoever with anybody I'm on my own dick I don't know I don't know I don't know if you can say that and it be perceived as no beef and just a message, unfortunately, today. You're probably right, but it's not beef.
Starting point is 02:27:31 I mean, you just see so many things happen for so long, it's like I have to say something at this point. I've let way too much shit go. I got to say my piece. Well, then in that case, I like the fact that we're in an era now where he can say that and not be uh harshly judged for it oh i'm sure people will go with what they usually do when people speak up oh you bitter or you jealous but i don't think that's the case here at all i'm the one that wore that one for everybody i ain't gonna lie then what side gun you got a waiting line man but i feel him i him I understand what he is saying but a lot of niggas
Starting point is 02:28:07 have been doing the wrestling shit yeah like recently because I do get that it's trendy which is odd how did that
Starting point is 02:28:16 become trendy somebody Boston Crab somebody somebody did some shit alright I'm done with everything this podcast
Starting point is 02:28:24 has been entirely too long I really missed you guys I'm happy we got to come here And tell some jokes today And not talk about serious shit Yeah we got a few jokes off Yes Yes we did
Starting point is 02:28:33 Now Sleepers Oh yeah Bryson Well I was happy that Bryson Tiller Admitted that his last album was trash And he told us why he thought it was trash That was all I had that was all I had that was all I had
Starting point is 02:28:48 I'm happy because I wasn't a big fan of his second album and I'm glad we know the reason why there's some shit on it but it ain't that
Starting point is 02:28:55 it wasn't terrible it wasn't good though it aged a bit better because I went back to it and I was like alright it's not as bad as I originally thought but it's still not good
Starting point is 02:29:01 it sounds better when you go back to it it does it does but it's still not good as I originally thought. It sounds better when you go back to it. It does. It does. But it's still bad. It's still not good. Damn, I had a real good LeBron question for y'all,
Starting point is 02:29:12 but we'll get to that another time. So I'm going to play what? He's the greatest. Yeah, he's different. Who? LeBron. The greatest ever? Yeah, I'm giving it to him.
Starting point is 02:29:23 Jesus Christ. I'm not doing this with you, Maul. I was about to say, are you ready for another 45 minutes of this podcast? Last time Maul's stance was that he was not even close. To the greatest ever? Correct. No, he's not close. He's not close.
Starting point is 02:29:36 What does not close mean? Maul's crazy. He's not close to being the greatest ever. Top five? Yeah, for sure. Well, that's close. That's pretty close. No, Maul is saying the disparity between number one and wherever he is.
Starting point is 02:29:45 Right? He's not better than Michael Jordan. Is he better than Kobe? No. Yes. All right. No. All right.
