To my right is Maul Park.
Starting point is 00:02:08 Well, just in the room is Maul Park's Rory Erickson and Savon. Gentlemen, how was everyone's Memorial Day weekend? Wonderful? Delightful. Awesome? Divine? That's your new thing? The peace thing?
Starting point is 00:02:20 What is this bullshit, Maul? Peace. But why like that? Peace be unto you, brother. Don't do that to me. Don't put peace onto me again. For the God. Rory, now you can, let me give you a round of applause.
Starting point is 00:02:34 You guys got your awards. You got your awards. Maul and Rory got their BET social awards for best podcast. You guys got thank you speeches. It's mad late. Nobody cares now. We'll just do it. I just want to thank everyone that voted, man.
Starting point is 00:02:50 I want to thank everybody that didn't vote. I really wish it wasn't the award in that box. Parks, we've got one coming for you as well. I'm excited. Erickson, Savon, you're just done. Just done all. We love you guys. I'll write y'all name on it. Y'all can write y'all name on it. Now, you're just done. Just done all. We love you guys. I'll write y'all name on it.
Starting point is 00:03:06 Y'all can write y'all name on it. Now, a few quick things before we get in. It's a lot of hip-hop to discuss, thank God. I knew that was going to happen after Slow News Week last week. I just knew that. Mo, you had a question you wanted to ask us before we start or during or what? Eh, I'll talk about what we're talking about. I'll get into it later.
Starting point is 00:03:23 Just something I saw earlier. Just needed some clarity. Now I'm a little intrigued. Yeah, now come on, now you gotta do it. So, Everyday Struggle is back?
Starting point is 00:03:31 Yes. Yes, with Wayno and DJ Academics. Okay, I didn't know what was going on, so I just had to ask. All stars out of here, officially.
Starting point is 00:03:39 I'm not starting my fucking podcast with this bullshit. I didn't know y'all had more questions. Yeah, I didn't know. I didn't know what was going on. All right, so what are we saying? What are we saying?
Starting point is 00:03:48 Yo, you know what I just learned? I just learned that Rory and Parks don't actually listen to the podcast. Maybe that was news to everyone. I don't listen to the podcast. Nobody listens to the podcast? Savon, you listen to it. I talk on it. When I edit it.
Starting point is 00:04:02 I'm the only person that listens to our podcast. That's not why. Well, you have a lot of free time. just i just i hate hearing myself i caught that dig that was a dick no i mean just i took it like i just ended and i took it like a dick yeah i just i just i can't listen to myself i'm just weird i don't i only can't myself you know what let's just start with some hip hop, man. I think, for one, that we should start with Pusha's album. That's what I think. I agree. The week started with Pusha's album.
Starting point is 00:04:35 And he made a grave mistake. So a lot of people didn't stay on Pusha's album long enough. Yeah. So I want to give Pusha and his album the proper respect that I feel it deserves. Am I cool calling this an album? It's new albums. It's 20 fucking minutes.
Starting point is 00:04:55 It's the new albums. All right, before I give Pusha's album some props, let me beef and complain about shit. I don't like this 20 minute, 19 minute trend shit. I like short albums, but this one's... Is it a trend? Because it's either one
Starting point is 00:05:09 flip of the coin. It's either 40 records or it's 7 records. And I super hate the 40 album, or 40 song albums. I'm a 10 to 12 guy with albums. 45 minutes to an hour. I said that, but I still burn that Chris Barron shit. And I said just said burn.
Starting point is 00:05:33 Like you made a CDd i'm so trash i didn't know i'd be trashed this early in life what's uh what's the exact definition of an ep is it isn't it to an exact length used to be used to be that's before they started fucking with all the rules uh less than 40 minutes music okay and the lp was over 40 minutes of music gotcha but that's no longer the case with streaming rules in effect but anyway i'm just not i'm not my i myself i'm not happy with a 19 to 20 minute album now with that said okay uh i thought it was a great project yeah it was it was great i mean it was good it was good i'm a huge push fan i'm a huge kanye fan uh i thought it was good. It was good. I'm a huge Push fan. I'm a huge Kanye fan. I thought it was good. It wasn't like...
Starting point is 00:06:08 I feel like with seven songs, it should be fucking amazing. I mean, my shit, like I've said on this podcast before, if that's all the artist wants to give, I'm cool with that because that means he could have given a shittier music. So I'll take the seven. Even though I did listen to Hot 97 interview and Push said he did not want to do seven. That was Kanye's shit.
Starting point is 00:06:24 He wanted everyone's to be seven. And was saying kanye's producing everyone's beats so it's like 35 beats in one month it was just easier for everyone to just do seven as a collective no i'm cool on that i'll go get production for somebody else i mean yeah like i'm tired of that shit you can make 35 beats in a month also hey Hey, five beats is eight for three summers. I think it's possible too. Right. Listen, by the time I let the whole album run, shit, I wasn't even done washing the dishes by the time this shit finished.
Starting point is 00:06:55 I still had a whole frying pan to go. Right. You couldn't do nothing and listen to that project. But it was a really good project. How did y'all feel about the beats? Was it enough to make y'all welcome back Kanye? I think that's what the issue... The only beat that I really super liked was the Santeria beat.
Starting point is 00:07:12 Okay. The Ross one was pretty good as well. That was dope too. I like the beats on there. I'm not welcoming Kanye back, but I will say it doesn't sound like he's lost a step in production, because I think that was specific to Push 2, which was perfect. I agree.
Starting point is 00:07:26 But the issue was we never thought Kanye lost it musically. A lot of people did. Well he hasn't really been making beats producing for a long time. Yeah but I still wouldn't
Starting point is 00:07:34 think he would lose that. I agree. Well them beats is hard. It maybe was two songs that I skipped. I don't know the names of them because it's such a short album I just let the whole shit rock.
Starting point is 00:07:46 Right. But they're in there somewhere. Yeah, the one with Kanye, I'm not super big on. I think that's one of them for me as well. That was probably my least favorite on there. Wasn't a big fan of Kanye's verse either on there. Whoop whoop? Soup whoop?
Starting point is 00:07:57 Listen, man. Maybe we have a different sense of humor. Kanye, but I just don't. I don't get it. I'm not on board. But the album's pretty good. The EP's pretty good. Listen,
Starting point is 00:08:10 I bought the album. I bought the shit. And I said I wasn't going to buy it. I said I wasn't going to support, and I did. I'm hoping that a very
Starting point is 00:08:17 small percentage goes to Kanye. That's what I'm hoping. That's probably not the case. I was going to say, he's producing every beat. I don't know, man. Favorite track from me? I don't know. Seven fucking songs, man. What. I was going to say, he's producing every beat. I don't know, man. Favorite track from me?
Starting point is 00:08:26 I don't know. Seven fucking songs, man. What do you want me to say? Santeria seems to be the consensus for everyone else. The Games We Play is one of my favorite, I think, on there. If you know, you know it's probably one of my favorite records on there, and I probably will spend the duration of this podcast just screaming it out inadvertently at you guys. Yeah, I like the Santeria record.
Starting point is 00:08:44 Infrared was dope, too. All right. Okay. this podcast just screaming it out inadvertently at you guys yeah i like the career record infrared was dope too all right okay let's get let's get to infrared why was that there let's let's let's try to figure that out well it's called infrared that means you're ready to take a shot cut you know what he was doing with that Alright Tell me more You got me You got me on the edge of my seat here
Starting point is 00:09:08 I mean He knew what it was He knew what the record was going to do He knew what the The wave it was going to cause If I'm getting into your Into your analogy Am I to expect another record from Push?
Starting point is 00:09:20 Oh for sure Like a shot If an infrared is a Is a beam For sure Then a shot is coming right? For sure beam, then a shot is coming, right? For sure. And you think this was pre-planned?
Starting point is 00:09:29 For sure. With the thinking that Drake would reply as quick as he did. For sure. And then Push taking a little bit of time to reply. You don't think they're in cahoots? Drake and Push?
Starting point is 00:09:41 Drake and good music, maybe. Nah. They do live next door to each other. I have a totally different view than... You know what? Let me not say that. Because I thought, all right, so going back to, I guess the last shot would be Two Birds, One Stone,
Starting point is 00:09:56 people would say, which I thought was about Tory Lanez, but I guess I was wrong and it was a double entendre and it was about two people and it was the same. Cool. Don't even ask me how. But that would be the last shot which was what?
Starting point is 00:10:08 Two years ago? Yeah. And had we heard from Pusha periods in the last two years? Outside of like maybe a guest feature? Features, yeah.
Starting point is 00:10:17 Okay. So if I'm taking that song as a shot personally I'm going to reply on my album. I don't see anything wrong with that.
Starting point is 00:10:26 Yeah, no. That's what I'm saying. He knew what he was doing. I don't think Dan Cahoot's though. Man, that shit is a fucking grave mistake. Yeah, no, I... That shit is a mistake. You talking about the pusher part? Yes.
Starting point is 00:10:36 And I just need for someone to explain to me all the ways that it possibly may not be a mistake. Well, pusher is pusher. It's hard to out-calculate Drake. That's where I think it's really a mistake. If he's not well-prepared to what Mo was saying, that this was just the warning shot and a real shot is coming, it's a mistake to me.
Starting point is 00:10:53 I mean, he might have something in the tuck. That's the only reason why I would think it's maybe not. Because Pusher is an elite MC. And I think a pretty smart guy. Weak and all. I don't think he's a dumb guy at all. I think Pusher is very smart. Right. I don't think he's a dumb guy at all. I think Push is very smart. Right.
Starting point is 00:11:06 So I have to think that he has a plan here. Well, I would hope so. I would hope that he's learned. We've seen what happens when someone doesn't have a plan. When you learn from previous artists that don't have a plan. Well, we've seen them all at this point. We've seen artists with a plan. We've seen them without a plan.
Starting point is 00:11:27 with a plan we've seen him without a plan push has has has enough he has more more than a small sample size to be able to figure out how he needs to attack that's one right two let's get into this infrared record a little bit and and let me try to theorize with you guys when i heard that record i thought i thought Push was getting busy. I had the ugly face a couple of times. I might have tilted my head back and discussed a few times. I was like, oh, shit. Damn. All right.
Starting point is 00:12:00 I might have gave him a tweet. Right? Right? him a tweet right but when it got to the smoke part well at the end of the record I said to myself damn he killed that but only if no one ever replies I said that is such a great jab. It's a great. He didn't know D is what you're saying. Yeah, it's a great jab and a stellar performance. And if no one ever replies, it stands alone. And there is nothing to compare it to.
Starting point is 00:12:45 Now, that's not really impressive for me because when Exodus came out, there was nothing to talk about for me. I'm telling you how I was received when I heard the song and saw the video. It was the hardest video I ever saw. And the song was hard as shit. And he attacked not only Wayne, but Drake as well. He just attacked niggas, period. And he made a very valid point in that record, which is why I start with that. Them niggas won and he made a very valid point in that record which is why i start with that them niggas won't them niggas won't die with you they won't do it it made a very clear distinction between rap shit and street shit and you know when you're not as when you're not afforded all
Starting point is 00:13:18 of the accolades and you feel like your pin game is up, you fall on that side of the chip. So that was beautiful, right? But boy, was it the worst time in the universe. And this is why I don't understand the thinking of it, and it has to be a mistake. Which is why I'm saying... They know that Drake was recording. Now, I will say this. I was a little surprised at how quickly Drake responded. I'm not going to lie about that.
Starting point is 00:13:47 I knew that he would. I think Drake had the album probably three days before it came out, because regular people had it two days before it came out. So I think he had this in the tuck and was waiting the day the album came out. I'm going to put this out. I actually thought it was even premature. Who puts out music at 4 p.m.? I feel like that's wild.
Starting point is 00:14:03 I said to you gentlemen in our group chat at 1 at 4 p.m i said i said that's wild i said to you gentlemen in our group chat at 1 11 p.m and i quote he is going to regret coming at him while he's recording yeah it's just i'm talking rapper shit people i'm not talking anything else but MC type shit. I think that a lot of times these niggas are, how they correspond in beef, just it depends on scheduling. Yeah, no. And that's all it really boils down to.
Starting point is 00:14:38 Which Meek was at a disadvantage because he was in the middle of a tour. Same thing that Pusha potentially is at a disadvantage. Hey, and wait, and guess what? When I was bombing away on Drake, I had a pretty good idea he wouldn't respond. He of a tour. Same thing. Hey, and wait, and guess what? When I was bombing away on Drake, I had a pretty good idea he wouldn't respond. He was on tour. Right.
Starting point is 00:14:50 You know how dedicated you would have to be to respond to Joe Budden, to get off of tour or now sit down and write to such a great MC? Man, get that bum ass nigga the fuck out of here. It's not an arena tour. Yeah, I'm not. Bye, Joe Budden.
Starting point is 00:15:03 Fuck you. DM you. Suck my dick. And that's the end of that now uh damn what was i saying just now oh scheduling yeah them they knew that he was in the studio they knew he was recording and this is why i say it was a mistake his his plan already seems already seems to be well on its way uh whoever is on team aubrey the gods plan song and video worked and was genius and at some point will be responsible for drake's album probably being triple platinum before it's released yeah well that and uh nice for nice whoa i didn't even nice for what is next single number two all of these are best case scenarios
Starting point is 00:15:47 for the people handling him, is what I'm saying. Was he a third? Oh, no. Just came out. Oh, wait. Let's wait to get to that. Stay on timeline. So, Drake is killing shit, and he's in the studio,
Starting point is 00:16:03 and if I'm just listening to tone and voice and all that shit that I'm obsessed with he sounds in a much clearer state of mind. Does anyone else notice that or is that just psycho me? No, I know.
Starting point is 00:16:16 I definitely notice he seems to be a bit locked in in what works and what works for him. It's not an experiment. It seems very calculated. It's science. Yeah, it's there. This is what works science it's yeah it's it's there this is what
Starting point is 00:16:25 works for me this is what my fan base enjoys and i can also rap really well hearing certain lines in that drake record um i think this is one of the the beefs that he he's looking at a little differently his approach to this is a little different oh but wait wait wait i didn't even finish my point and it's kind of to where you're going so you have these two first the first and second single and videos all that shit is working to a t i think part of the big reason that drake was in such a dark place was the aftermath of the meek beef and what the uh what the doubt to his credibility the effect that it had on him right so if i'm pusha t today i have to know that and you are the person that continues to champion how i don't write shit how wayne don't write shit it's not
Starting point is 00:17:22 even just me that's beefing with you. It's my boss now, too. Well, we've been saying it before Meek said it. Push would have to know that that is the one area that if Drake just happens to be sitting in a studio sipping Tim Hortons and he hears that shit. Now I have to stop what I'm doing, Terrence. You know he put the Prince voice on. Now I will deviate from my new project, Terrence. Deviate. You know he says deviate.
Starting point is 00:17:58 Yeah, he definitely deviates. He definitely, come on. I don't even know if that's the right context. But you know he says deviate. Absolutely. Yeah. With a schedule like his, he has to deviate. Yeah, you got to deviate from things. I've seen Puff deviate. Absolutely. With a schedule like his, he has to deviate. Yeah, you got to deviate from things. I've seen Puff deviate from shit.
Starting point is 00:18:08 So what I'm saying is, let me get to my point. The one area in which Drake would be looking to fix immediately, if we're thinking that he's a scientist, the way that we do, is, oh, we're going to fix, we're going to address this Quentin Miller shit that we've let linger for the past three to four years. Even I'm a little annoyed with the Quentin Miller references. That was my only part of the push thing. I was like, are we bringing up Quentin Miller's name again?
Starting point is 00:18:33 Have we not gotten past this? Can we get a little bit more creative in how we dis Drake? Right. Well. Because even when, Joe, we was in all those sessions for that, we was like, all right, well, don't. Quentin Miller has been done and said. There's nothing creative about re-saying what Meek said. Oh,
Starting point is 00:18:48 well listen, Joe wasn't going to have that problem. No, I know. I just thought it was like, all right, come on. It was a dope bar.
Starting point is 00:18:54 I liked, I liked the wordplay on it, but come on. So before, we're still bringing up Quentin. And before we, before we get into this, this breaking down this record,
Starting point is 00:19:01 because yes, we are going to break down this record. I would have loved to play Daytona, but Daytona is a Def Jam Universal project. We know Universal feels about you playing their music without it being licensed, so we're not going to do that. But the Drake record was released on SoundCloud. Yeah. Let's talk about that for a second.
Starting point is 00:19:20 I've heard a few different theories. My homegirl, Jazz Jazz at the time, this is before I'm Upset was released. She had a theory that said, because everybody knows Drake is petty. Right? It's common now. Her theory was that after the Kendrick Perkins
Starting point is 00:19:38 and Drake squabble at the game and after the league released their statement reprimanding drake basically that drake then released two songs uh during both the game sevens or whatever games those were back to back to try to affect the talk because all talk was about drake on the nights of those games and i thought that was an interesting way to look at it. Ice, on the other hand, would be one of the few people to know that Push had a radio, iTunes radio something, to premiere some shit at Friday at 6 p.m. And then Drake, 6 p.m. Saturday, drops this. No, he dropped Friday.
Starting point is 00:20:23 Are you talking about the single I'm talking about the disc I'm talking about the disc oh no the disc was a Friday afternoon Friday afternoon it wasn't even on the radio which is when
Starting point is 00:20:32 on SoundCloud which is when Push was supposed to premiere some shit with Apple oh okay so to get people off the Apple
Starting point is 00:20:40 and go to SoundCloud and if we subscribe to that then then it worked, right? Mm-hmm. I didn't know anything about this Push Radio shit. Me either. I mean, but Drake does his loosies on SoundCloud. He did Charged Up and Back to Back on SoundCloud.
Starting point is 00:20:57 It's still kind of his behavior when it's not a single that he's looking to profit off of. Yeah, and you put it on SoundCloud to step away from your album rollout. Step away from your label or your contract obligations. You just have free will over there, I'm
Starting point is 00:21:13 assuming. I haven't checked that. And there's also fans of Drake that could give two fucks about a Pusha T diss or him rapping in that way anyways and they just listen to streaming sites and that doesn't really come down on the singles. It could be confusing to a consumer that's just here to hear God's plan and nice for what.
Starting point is 00:21:30 Okay, so do you guys, I'm ready to give a critical breakdown. Let's hear it. On the beef or the record? No, on the record. On the Duppy freestyle. Parks just taught me what Duppy means. It's a ghost.
Starting point is 00:21:44 Dead man. Oh, you just knew that off the rip? I lived with Jamaicans. He also Googled. No, I lived with Jamaicans. I knew what Duffy was. You're probably stealing mad shit from places. From where?
Starting point is 00:21:54 From a mall you knew that too? Duffy was a ghost? I'm just the only idiot in the room, right? No, I mean. But it's good. You want to be the dumbest person in the room so you can always learn. Remember that bullshit? I mean, it's true. You want to be the dumbest person in the room so you can always learn. Remember that bullshit? I mean, it's true.
Starting point is 00:22:06 It makes sense. You want to always be the brokest one in the room so there will constantly be inspiration around you. Yeah, I'm not rolling with that, though. Fuck that. Nigga, fuck you. Sometimes I don't want to be the dumbest person in the room. I know. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:22:18 I want to have the most money in the room sometimes. Right. I mean, just be able to hang, able to compete. Right. What was we talking about? Oh, yeah. So do you guys want to start this? Well, first of all, Amal, to hang, able to compete. What was we talking about? Oh, yeah. So do you guys want to start this?
Starting point is 00:22:30 Well, first of all, Maul, let me tell you the decision that we made for you. Okay. Parks is rolling with, who are you rolling with in the beef, Parks? Drake, at the moment, at least. Rory in the beef. Rory, who are you rolling with? I'm with Drake. There hasn't been a response.
Starting point is 00:22:48 And I'm with Drake too, Mo. You know what that means? What does that mean? You got to go with Push. Somebody in the room has to. Yeah, come on. We're not that podcast. Come on.
Starting point is 00:23:04 You just followed us. We can't look like that. All right, I'll roll with that. Yeah, yeah, yeah. All right, good. I'll roll with that. Good, good. A round of applause, man. More being a fucking sport.
Starting point is 00:23:12 I'll roll with it. Just for the room. There's some evidence. It's not an argument you can't win. No, I mean, y'all know how I really feel, but I'll roll with it. I'll roll with it. Just to be the, you know.
Starting point is 00:23:25 But how come if you're OVO Mall, like, we don't ever get exclusives and shit? Like, we don't get shit from you. Y'all don't be OVO Mall, and, I mean, it just stuck. I don't know why. Can you just give us, like, a T-shirt? An OVO T-shirt? I have an OVO store. Everybody got an OVO T-shirt.
Starting point is 00:23:41 Fam, we're not going to the OVO store. You're not going to the pop-up shop? You can go to the OVO pop-up? I've never said pop-up shop. That slaughterhouse had a pop-up shop and an ice cream parlor. You had your own flavor slaughterhouse ice cream. Everyone relax. Wait, hold on.
Starting point is 00:23:56 Don't worry. I don't even know if I want to ask what flavor slaughterhouse was. A CEO's mind. That marketing plan was me. That Haagen-D marketing plan was me. That Haagen-Dazs was mine. These niggas was four of the hardest MCs ever. Wait, wait.
Starting point is 00:24:11 Man, man, man. I didn't bring that up to do this. They was Strawberry Sherbert. Was it each member had their own ice cream or was it like a group ice cream? No, we had our own flavors. Oh my God, it was horrible. You were definitely mental, weren't you? I was there mad grumpy.
Starting point is 00:24:24 See, that's why I had to retire. Because I was just angry and doing shit that we were supposed to be doing. Like, come on, nigga. Why you got us at the fuck ice cream parlor? And then that turned into, well, this is actually really good ice cream. After that, like, four of the toughest niggas like, yo, this is actually really good ice cream. The ice cream was great.
Starting point is 00:24:39 Shout out to all that ice cream parlor. Well, the streets are going to want to know, did you use that ice cream in your soda floats back at the house? Yeah, y'all really made that a thing. Fuck you guys. And Maul definitely was digging the soda floats.
Starting point is 00:24:51 I don't like how that came off. Soda floats, yeah. And I didn't even give it up with my other little mix. I don't know if you had the Sherbert joint.
Starting point is 00:24:59 No, I didn't see that mix yet. Sherbert. Yeah, I told you. I told you. This summer. All right, cool. At the pool party.
Starting point is 00:25:04 He got you. Now, all right, so. At the pool party. He got you. Now, all right, so Maul is going with Pusha T for some reason. Y'all gave me that card. I'll take it. So do you guys want to give us
Starting point is 00:25:16 a first impression of where you were when this Dupie record dropped? Because I have one and I'm well prepared to just tell you guys about it. I just got off the road off of like a four or five hour drive
Starting point is 00:25:27 to see that shit. when that hot record dropped. You can't say when that hot record dropped. I said no. I said when that record dropped. Okay. Where was I?
Starting point is 00:25:38 I was in I was walking in Times Square and I seen people on the timeline talking about it and I started listening to it. Well, that sucks. Walking in Times Square really sucks. Why are you walking in Times Square. And I seen people on the timeline talking about it, and I started listening to it. Well, that sucks. Walking in Times Square really sucks.
Starting point is 00:25:47 Why are you walking in Times Square? Your mother has to. What are you doing, man? I was in the city. I was walking around. But go home. I was on my way uptown. That's where I was headed.
Starting point is 00:25:56 Walk up A-Town. Just stay out of Times Square. Were you walking uptown? No, no, no. Not uptown. Walking to the Bronx in Times Square. Where were y'all When the New York During the New York City blackout
Starting point is 00:26:06 In whatever year that was I was actually on the block Baby I was uptown on the block You were not a baby Rory That blackout Like it was what 96
Starting point is 00:26:14 No No 2003 Oh Before we talk about the 90s Shit No I don't know
Starting point is 00:26:21 He was a baby He was 11 then Yeah it's a fact I don't know It doesn't change anything Wait Rory was 11 in 03 No I was't know He was a baby He was 11 then Yeah it's a fact I don't know It doesn't change anything Wait Roy was 11 in 03? No I was 13 in 03
Starting point is 00:26:29 See 13 okay Now that's still trash That's not trash Um Where were you? When Oh uh
Starting point is 00:26:36 I was doing the dishes And I actually dried my hands In the middle Of doing my dishes So I could listen to this This Alright Wasted a paper towel And everything That's my favorite thing To do in the kitchen of doing my dishes so I could listen to this diss. All right.
Starting point is 00:26:45 Wasted a paper towel and everything. That's my favorite thing to do in the kitchen is waste paper towels. So I was in Los Angeles, right? In the middle of a very important meeting. You were in the pool. In Soho House. So I was not in the Soho House
Starting point is 00:27:04 on this particular occasion. I was in the middle of a very important meeting and boy I hate when you're in the middle of a very important meeting and your friends are doing nothing with their lives so the group chat is just going to fuck off in your pocket.
Starting point is 00:27:20 I'm like yo, why are these fucking idiots talking so much on this beautiful day? But anyway, I was doing the dishes. I'm like, yo, why are these fucking idiots talking so much on this beautiful day? But anyway, that's beside the point. So I finally look in the phone. I see they're going crazy over this beef. Hey, yo. The group chat was pretty on fire, and I was amazed at you guys.
Starting point is 00:27:40 I was like, damn, they are holding an intense convo in here. How did Jeezy get in y'all debate? I don't even know. It had something to do with ice. It was something to do with ice. Jeezy has nothing to do with this debate. At all. So I'm ignoring the group chat.
Starting point is 00:28:00 And then at 3.47 PM. Why do you have specific time stamps? Because I was amazed that I had just told y'all that he was going to regret doing this when Drake is in the studio, even though Pusha has been baiting Drake for however many years, and seemingly, Drake has been scared to death.
Starting point is 00:28:23 Seemingly. I don't think Drake has been scared to death. Seemingly. I don't think Drake has been scared. I think a lot of that probably had to do with Drake's relationship with Kanye. If anything. I think it's just, again, back to how strategic Drake is. At that time, he didn't necessarily have to reply, and he was getting in the ring with someone that he would really have to rap with. Yeah, but you know what?
Starting point is 00:28:46 Can I ask you something? How did this start? It had to do with Wayne and Push. And then Drake just caught shots because he was standing next to him. We are not going to know how this starts because it's mad shit. It's convoluted everywhere.
Starting point is 00:29:01 I still don't know how. But you know what? Good though because a long time ago and this is when we were recording at the old spot maybe episode 80 something or whenever that Drake shit was going on with us
Starting point is 00:29:14 I told y'all that Drake and Kanye wasn't really flying like that. Yeah, I remember that. And then Maul came in here the next day and told me how they got a song together.
Starting point is 00:29:24 And then I laughed. And then we just had a little fake argument about it. And then that was the end. And a lot of the fans took that position, too. Like, nigga, there's no way that they could have some type of beef. They work together all the time. They speak highly of one another. I'm not going to say they hate each other.
Starting point is 00:29:43 They're in competition, though. But there are quite a few acts where, and you know what? Let me not even start there. We're going to get to this record. So listen, that's why. That's why I know the timestamps. Because I was shocked that this happened so soon and that he was ballsy enough to do that. Pause.
Starting point is 00:29:57 But let's get to that. When y'all sent that record to the group chat, right, I had zero idea what was going on I just hit play oh man first of all wait never you start with a sax wait wait if you're at work right now if you have work right now let's act like it's church. Just look to your left and your right. Apologize to your coworkers. Gunshots are happening. A lot of them.
Starting point is 00:30:36 Yo, you can't give Drake a trumpet. I think it's a saxophone. I don't. A flute. Any type of horn. You can't give him A fucking A harmonica
Starting point is 00:30:46 You cannot He didn't have a harmonica solo I'm telling you Yeah He had Stevie Wonder Stevie Wonder You can't give a light skin
Starting point is 00:30:55 Nigga Stevie Wonder Harmonicas Having Stevie play A harmonica on your album Is crazy It's a wild feature That's crazy So this starts
Starting point is 00:31:04 Right I'm gonna Should I just So this starts, right? Should I just? So this started with a horn, and I didn't know what it was, but I heard a horn. I'm in shock. I still didn't know who this was. The nerves. The audacity.
Starting point is 00:31:18 Now I was kind of figuring out who it was. Whenever you use audacity. Audacity. Wait, I got to rewind that. The nigga sighed. Yeah. When you start a... No, Joe Biden.
Starting point is 00:31:34 You cannot start a record with words like the nerve. Audacity. And the audacity. And then sigh. And then exhale. You can't start the record like the cashier deliberately gave you the wrong change. What a drink. Nerve.
Starting point is 00:31:56 The audacity. Yo, he sounds so appalled. He was. He was doing something important. Yeah. Safe to assume. I'm just going to assume this whole record
Starting point is 00:32:07 through top to bottom. I'm going to assume Drake was pretty fucking peeved that he had to stop what he was doing. 40 was on an hourly rate that day.
Starting point is 00:32:19 Oh, yeah, yeah. Overtime. They got deadlines to meet and shit. All right. All right. Okay. So if you rebuke me for working with someone else on a couple of Vs, what do you really think of the nigga that's making...
Starting point is 00:32:39 Yo, my fucking head exploded. Wait. That was real talk. Wait a second. Wait, wait, wait. I didn't know what the fuck was happening. He started with the... Are you fucking kidding me?
Starting point is 00:32:55 He started that like a conversation. He started with a run-on sentence. He said, so if you... So if you start your... Let me get this straight. So if you... Hold on. So if you...
Starting point is 00:33:04 To start your verse was so if you... He stood up in the barbershop. So if you. Hold on. So if you. To start your verse with so if you. He stood up in the barbershop. So if you. Wait. So what you're saying is. He's been pondering this. Yeah, for sure. For sure.
Starting point is 00:33:13 He just listened to the last record. Yeah. So if you is a little nuts. So if you rebuke. So if you rebuke. Yo, these are wild words, Drake. But fuck it. All it Alright let's see Okay
Starting point is 00:33:30 So if you rebuke me For working with someone else On a couple of V's What do you really think Of the nigga that's Making your beats Now I want to stop it For real there
Starting point is 00:33:40 I've been asking myself That question For a long time now Cause all these nigg these is liars and frauds and fronters we'll never know how anybody really feels about anybody because everybody is making money off of everybody yeah so everybody's using so some things in the music business really confuse me like wale and atl Atlantic parting ways and then him signing with Warner which is Atlantic I tried to say that last time and y'all laughed at me while a is up and down
Starting point is 00:34:15 the Twitter street celebrating that he signed to Warner I'm so confused by this by this intel I don't know what's going on out there but but that wasn't the point in what I was saying. What was I saying? Oh, yeah, so we'll never know how anybody really feels about anybody. I know that Pusha T does not stand by a lot of this Kanye bullshit. I just know he doesn't. He can't. He can't.
Starting point is 00:34:36 But he has to save face. You ain't grinding, my nigga. Come on. Right. You didn't make grinding stand by this bullshit. But you kind of have to. The same way I had to unfollow Sahai when he was forced to stand by all of that Kanye bullshit. Had to get him the fuck out of here.
Starting point is 00:34:54 Well, he wasn't forced to. He did it. Because what else are you supposed to do when these people are the people who pay your bills? Joe, when you say something stupid, I just be quiet, man. You can do that. That's an option. be quiet, man. You can do that. That's an option. That's an option. You can just chill.
Starting point is 00:35:08 If I'm sorry in that situation, I'm just shutting up. And my album already came out this year. Yeah, I'm shutting up. Any of you radio personalities think you want smoke? It's okay to be quiet sometimes. Call me Mr. Chimney.
Starting point is 00:35:19 I want smoke. I guess you make a good point, Parks. I guess you can just be quiet, right? Kendrick Cole, there's mad people that don't tweet. You can just not tweet. It's okay. You see Big Sean has not said a fucking word to any of this. Word.
Starting point is 00:35:31 Or tweet about some other shit. Yeah. It's Memorial Day weekend. We can talk about a lot of shit. Hmm. Yeah, but is that fun? No. Not at all.
Starting point is 00:35:41 Who wants to not tweet? That's what Denzel or somebody say. Go a week without your phone. I was like, uh, sorry, John Q. You're going to lose that one, buddy. Where was we at just now? Oh, this record. Let's get back to it.
Starting point is 00:35:57 Back to it. Back to it. Oh, no. Push and Kanye. I thought that was gutsy that Drake started this record with this angle rebuking it's valid it is okay
Starting point is 00:36:11 is it though Kanye has been very open since his first album that he does not write all of his rhymes he is this has never been a secret Kanye is a known collaborator
Starting point is 00:36:22 he says who's right to shit I don't give a fuck Kanye is not on nobody top five mc list nowhere i agree so i mean nothing to discuss there if you're not you know if you're not writing all your shit or your own shit well that's that's why someone could rebuke drake because people did have him on a list before the quentin thing he was in talks of being a great rapper but But Drake's argument is that all of the pop stars do it. Him, Wayne, Kanye. I mean, that's it. Right?
Starting point is 00:36:54 Everybody. Everybody has people writing hooks, writing ideas. Everybody is writing something. I think what hurt him was we heard reference tracks. I agree with y'all. I'm just looking at it from another angle that Kanye has always been open about it and we weren't putting Kanye in some...
Starting point is 00:37:09 The whole ghost writer and ghost producer arguments are misinformed, honestly. Music is a collaborative thing. One person doesn't have to do everything. Right. Which is just a hip-hop thing. It rarely happens that that's even the case. It's only in hip-hop. And it never happens in hip-hop. Where people just turn their nose up at the fact that a rapper even the case. It's only in hip hop. And it never happens in hip hop.
Starting point is 00:37:25 People just turn their nose up at the fact that a rapper. Yeah, but Drake's was a little telling. Drake's wasn't on the same level of Milli Vanilli. But again, like we've said here for a long time, Drake was on an easy seven-year run of Not A Whack Verse at one point. That's true. He was the first one that he was talking ultra slick i sound like it's me featuring me you niggas need me like whoa like so
Starting point is 00:37:52 we can't hear ref track then i guess it was the shock to it yeah uh we quickly learned that drake is probably the most invincible okay it's teflon man he right he's up there there's nothing that you're gonna say or it's tough because at the end of the day it still comes down to the music well let's talk about it drake versus kendrick i do feel was supposed to take place but there were reasons it did not occur. And that ship has sailed. I think that it has sailed. That is my opinion. That it could never happen?
Starting point is 00:38:34 I think the ship has sailed. That's not saying it wouldn't happen. But that's saying it would be like Floyd and... I thought this ship sailed. What ship? I never thought this was a ship. I never thought Drake would reply. No, I knew he would. Okay, but... All right, listen to what I'm saying.
Starting point is 00:38:46 He was saying. Not in a bad, I just never think he. He was throwing little jabs. He kept saying, like, yo, listen, like. The problem is. Anybody keep saying my name, like, I got, you know what I mean? The problem is. A little more tune.
Starting point is 00:38:57 The problem is Drake is entirely too smart. We can all agree there, right? Well-calculated, meticulous man right right the problem is there's never an opponent that checks all the boxes there's always something wrong with the opponent kendrick is the only one that checks every box uh capability star power you know everything it's a perfect match but it didn't happen when it should have happened when they both were fighting
Starting point is 00:39:27 for position then the positions kind of just made themselves out yeah they went to two different lanes yeah they could live together as the top artists
Starting point is 00:39:35 yeah and we didn't have to have that talk anymore so it may happen at some point but I think the ship has sailed who else was there push we thought he would avoid Sean for a little while there was a
Starting point is 00:39:48 Sean don't seem to want smoke with any any person not a soul which is why I keep telling niggas just cause you can rap don't mean you can engage
Starting point is 00:39:57 on the no interview shit he seemed to take some shots at some people at Kendrick which then Kendrick replied on his single and then I heard not a word and then I heard his single. And then I heard not a word. And then I heard not a word.
Starting point is 00:40:06 He's not really someone you believe. And then I heard not a word. I agree with you there, but I think Sean, given the right circumstances. We're off on a tangent. I've done things for him I thought that he never would need. Father had to stretch his hands out and get it from me.
Starting point is 00:40:19 I pop style for 30 hours, then let him repeat. Now you popping up with the jokes, I'm getting asleep. I just left him over by y'all putting pen to the sheets. Tired of sitting quiet
Starting point is 00:40:28 and helping my enemies eat. Keep you. This is not back to back or charged up. I thought he would never would need. Drake knew he needed
Starting point is 00:40:37 Father had to stretch his hands out just to get it from me? And then they brought the tweet up. Kanye tweeted. Four years ago. Nah, he didn't say father had to stretch his hands
Starting point is 00:40:51 out. Was Kanye's hand stretched out? To Drake? Yo, I'm a visual guy. I visualized this entire diss record. No, but again, this isn't, because back to back he got Meek out of here with like fun lines that was like, oh, come on.
Starting point is 00:41:07 Is that your girl's story? This is how calculated and how great I guess we have to say he is with beef because he has wordplay throughout this entire thing. He knows his opponent. It's not he's not getting them out
Starting point is 00:41:18 with the cute one liners that we did on back to back. Oh, no, not at all. This sounds like this has been on his mind. Temperature checks. They know that my head overheats. See,, not at all. This sounds like this has been on his mind. Temperature checks, they know that my head overheats. Oh see,
Starting point is 00:41:27 his head overheats. Right. Why are you trying to check his temperature? Alright, let me bring this back so I'm going to do this. Tired of sitting quiet and helping my enemies eat.
Starting point is 00:41:36 Keep getting temperature checks, they know that my head overheats. Don't know why the fuck you niggas listen to Denim or Steve. Oh my God. Why did you listen to Denim or Steve? have your answer Oh my god Why did you listen To Denim or Steve?
Starting point is 00:41:46 Oh man Push Never listen to Denim or Steve Ever ever again Let's be clear there But Hey
Starting point is 00:41:53 And let me be clear I fuck with Push Yeah 100% I rap with Push Push is high on my MC list Push is probably my Like him and Ghostface Are my favorite
Starting point is 00:42:01 Like people I like Listening to Every single time But if you think That I am not here To instigate beef, then you have the wrong podcast, buddy. Let me be the first to tell you. Hey, welcome all the new listeners and shout out to the YouTube viewer people 40 minutes in. But we are only here to analyze and instigate this shit. That's a fact.
Starting point is 00:42:24 Let's get back to instigating. Oh my God, man. Yo, what the fuck? His head's in a beam. I was just with you guys. And then I said it. He said that and I was like, There you go. Welp.
Starting point is 00:42:58 I was in the studio. I was sitting in the studio. Creatively writing for the past however long. He just said I was just over by, I just left from you guys creatively writing for the past however long he just said I was just over by I just left from you guys putting pen to the sheets putting pen to the sheets
Starting point is 00:43:15 is fucking great but tell me if I'm lying that's such a dope way to say from writing a record I was that's such a dope way to say I just was writing a record I That's such a dope way to say it from writing a record. I was putting pen to the sheets.
Starting point is 00:43:27 I was just over pen to the sheets. Right. An image of whatever jealousy breathes. Don't push me when I'm an album owner. Oh, man. You're not even top five as far as your label talent. All right. Then that was like, wait, time out.
Starting point is 00:43:44 Time out. Time out. Time out, Aubrey. That was crazy. Wait a minute, buddy. To say that. Yeah. He tried to get pushed completely out of here. That was crazy.
Starting point is 00:43:56 You're not even top five as far as your label talent. All right. Wait a minute. Let's talk about it. Let's talk about it. Let's go through it. Let's go through it. Nah, don't do it.
Starting point is 00:44:03 Nah, we got it. We got it. He said it. I'm trying to get me out of here because y'all gave me push. Y'all not going to get me out of here. No, no, no, no. Not at all about it. Let's go through it. Let's go through it. Nah, don't do it. Nah, we got it. We got it. He said it. Y'all trying to get me out of it because y'all gave me push. Y'all not going to get me out of it. No, no, no, no. Not at all.
Starting point is 00:44:09 Not at all. Not at all. Because listen, let me make my position clear. I'm only getting on push because he has not rapped back and you started the fight. You instigated the beef.
Starting point is 00:44:20 I'm not saying that you're afraid and I'm not saying that you can't rap with Drake. I would never. No. Has he been doing a lot of press for the album? He has. He's a top-tier MC. That's why I hold push to this, that he needed to reply over the weekend.
Starting point is 00:44:34 I think that he's just gearing up for something. I think he has something. The week isn't over, and we do have a Kanye West album on Friday. Man, text Denim and Steve and see what the fuck is going on, man. That's a fact. What's happening? Yeah, so I just wanted to make that clear with my push point.
Starting point is 00:44:55 Oh my God. Oh wait, we didn't even get into it. Wait a minute. All right. Top five Kanye Listen to his words though As talent goes
Starting point is 00:45:09 Not top five As talent goes Cause you could say Kid Cudi is more talented Than Pusha T So that's two I'm not giving Kid Cudi more than Pusha
Starting point is 00:45:22 As far as talent I'm not doing it either He produces He writes songs. I don't care what he does. He creates a whole new sound. I don't give a fuck what he does. Pusha makes way better music than Cudi.
Starting point is 00:45:31 I love Cudi. Sahai? A lot of people disagree. Big Sean? No. All right, now y'all want one. No, I like Big Sean too, but he makes better music than Push. I'm saying be objective, not your personal opinion.
Starting point is 00:45:41 You're not being objective. Can you take your backpack off for a second? I'll take my backpack off. Take your fucking Diggable Planets merch off. Just this side has one good fucking album that nobody even talked about. Wait, time out, time out, time out. All right, let's try to be objective. The consensus maybe would be that Big Sean is ahead of Push, right?
Starting point is 00:46:01 Am I wrong in saying that? I don't feel that way personally. Neither do I. I don't feel that way personally, but yeah, Mo, right? Am I wrong in saying that? I don't feel that way personally. Neither do I. I don't feel that way personally, but yeah, Mo, right? So that's big Sean. Are we putting Cudi there? You have to.
Starting point is 00:46:13 No, you don't. Dog, Cudi's the reason why I have these people standing this way. I'm going to put Cudi there just to see if I can get close to five. Kanye is three, and who else is there
Starting point is 00:46:20 that he could possibly be talking about? Listen, if y'all trying to put Tiana in front of Push, I'm fighting everybody in this room. Just letting y'all know now. Y'all not going to get me out of here like that. Is Common part of good music still? I'm not putting Common before Pusha.
Starting point is 00:46:31 I'm not either, but some people would make it. I don't know, man. Common's a hell of an actor. He can act. If Common is on the roster, that's the only one. He's a hell of an actor. All right, wait. Let me ask y'all.
Starting point is 00:46:40 Do y'all think that Pusha's album is better than Saha's album? No. No. No, I don't. Okay. No. I don't either. album is better than Sia's album? No. No. No, I don't. Okay. No. I don't either. Is it better than Big Sean's last album?
Starting point is 00:46:51 Probably, yeah. There you go. Yeah. I can't answer that yet. But yeah, probably. Where is Big Sean at? Where is Big Sean? He's probably making a hit.
Starting point is 00:47:02 He's staying out of this fucking mess. That's what he's doing. He's being smart. He's staying the fuck out of this. He's not making a hit He's staying out of this Fucking mess That's what he's doing He's being smart Staying the fuck out of this He's not tweeting He's not in Wyoming Stay right in Detroit Sean is probably
Starting point is 00:47:10 The only one of them niggas That can just tweet tomorrow Yo fuck on ya I'm good already Top five as far as Your label talent goes You send shots Well I gotta challenge those
Starting point is 00:47:20 But I bring calicos To the Alamo I could never have A Virgil in my circle And hold him back Cause he makes me nervous Whoa not fair Wait Right. Oh, man. Oh. Whoa, not fair. Wait. No, not fair.
Starting point is 00:47:31 Wait. Wait a minute. What's not fair? The calicos? The alamo? Wait a minute. No, no, no. You listen. You listen.
Starting point is 00:47:39 Man, shit right there. After that part, I said, oh, shit. I think I agreed with your text right after that. That was a mistake. That bar took this beef to a different place. He is hanging Kanye West to dry. Yeah, a mistake. That ball took this beef to a different place. He is hanging Kanye West to dry. Yeah, that took the beef. He is...
Starting point is 00:48:10 See, and that's why Exodus... We got to start with Exodus. He is tearing you and your man apart, my nigga. He is doing the same exact thing that you did and replying to all of your shit that's my only problem with this beef is that both of the points are trash by now push says
Starting point is 00:48:32 you don't write your shit i know that drake says talk to me when you're a multimillionaire i got it right like you're not important i had your mic like you trash now like i need more than that in lyrical warfare i agree like. Like, it's not enough. Let's get into that line, though, about Virgil and having, you know, understudies. That's low. I think the shots at Ye are worse. Let's call it. Just say what the fuck he's saying.
Starting point is 00:48:55 You niggas is over there being creative leeches, stealing from niggas, and posing as friends. And it wasn't until Virgil got far the fuck away from you niggas that his career skyrocketed is it a coincidence? I don't know I've never met Virgil didn't you mention something in the Charlemagne interview about how he felt about Virgil? Oh no he was very
Starting point is 00:49:17 vague there it certainly didn't feel like he was happy for Virgil. Brother Charlemagne certainly didn't dig in that area either. He didn't really stay there for some strange reason. And ever since that little Calabasas trip to the desert out there, Charlemagne has just been going good music heavy on the promo. I want to know what the bag looks like.
Starting point is 00:49:42 And how do I get in? Shit, text me. What was we saying here oh yeah virgil part yeah this is crazy that you're not just speaking on these things yeah that was that took it to me that energy that changed the whole energy yeah that says this ain't even rap beef yeah this is let me sit you down And tell you about yourself Yeah This is like Yo
Starting point is 00:50:08 Y'all been playing with me For too long I know everything That's going on over there Like Cut it out Like Stop
Starting point is 00:50:16 And when I heard that It's kind of like You know When you in the room And dudes are snapping On each other Somebody say something A little to you
Starting point is 00:50:23 Like Yeah Yeah Yeah Yeah But I'll say this though You know, when you're in the room and dudes are snapping on each other, somebody say something a little to you, you're like, ah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. Yeah, it was like, whoa. But I'll say this, though. You know, I'm Team Drake in this battle so far, but he's been accused of that same thing.
Starting point is 00:50:33 Well, I think that was the flip on this record. You guys are calling me a fraud for my music. This whole record seems to be a flip. You guys are frauds in real life. Y'all talking about me writing a lyric. I'm talking about how you behave with your family. I'm saying that he's been accused of the same things with party and some of his oh yeah his creative partners yeah i agree so it's just it's interesting you know well there's some ammo to
Starting point is 00:50:56 reply with that's true wait because there's much more funny shit coming in this record because the fact that quentinentin Miller just got the hits moving out of Wawa is amazing. Chill, it's Publix. You gotta always know, you gotta just, you gotta really shout Drake out, man, for doing his due diligence. That nigga got the nigga with energy out the local 7-Eleven.
Starting point is 00:51:23 Out of Krueger's. Look what he found a new inspiration that shit makes me want to check my mentions and click those SoundCloud links alright let me see what this shit
Starting point is 00:51:31 young Quentin was in there getting a fresh batch ready for the morning shift I might answer in Midtown when they say yo you like hip hop
Starting point is 00:51:40 yeah in fact I do like hip hop let me hear some you guys got some I can steal exploit profit off of your brother said it was your cousin malice malice how malice get in this malice See where it's still in. Working out. He was at church. Yeah. Yo, first of all, let me tell you about what your own family is saying about you.
Starting point is 00:52:09 I spoke to your older brother, my G. Right. That's always bad when a nigga's- Let me tell you what he said. You're not even like that. Yo, that's why- Yo, lessons like these is why- Lessons like these teach you to always cover your lines.
Starting point is 00:52:23 Like, you can't put somebody in a line and not talk to them to make sure you're covered in the line. You got to talk to your older brother to see what side he's on. He's on the side of Christ right now. And I remember that interview, man. And, of course, see, Drake is good because you're not just battling Drake. You're battling Drake and all of the fucking OVO fans. No, you're also battling someone who's been an avid and vocal fan of you since he was a kid. Which is the worst.
Starting point is 00:52:48 He's seen everything. He knows every album. So for him to go back to Lord Willin, for him to oh, yeah, yeah, no. But anyway, don't start talking to me saying what my brother told me. That's just the bottom
Starting point is 00:53:04 line there, but let's get back. Teachers are learning, yeah. Your brother said it was your cousin and him and you. So you don't rap what you did, you just rap what you knew. Don't be ashamed, there's plenty niggas that do what you do. There's no malice in your heart, you're an approachable dude. Fam. Don't ever tell me I shouldn't be ashamed.
Starting point is 00:53:19 Fam. If you ever call me approachable, I'm knocking you the fuck out. Ain't nothing approachable about me, my G. Call it like you see it. Any of you radio personalities think you want smoke? Approachable? Call me Mr. Chimney. I want smoke.
Starting point is 00:53:33 No, you can't call a nigga approachable and a rat beef. No man wants to be approachable. You got to approach a nigga. Yeah. And then mentioning you shouldn't be ashamed. Live your truth. There's no got to approach your nigga. Yeah. And then mentioning you shouldn't be ashamed. Live your truth. There's no malice in your heart.
Starting point is 00:53:49 You're an approachable guy. I would see you in the street and easily greet you. Walk right up to you. Yeah, with no worries. And push you to the next guy.
Starting point is 00:54:01 There's fucked up out here, man. Oh, Jesus. Oh, man. Wait, it's way more funny There's no malice in your heart You're an approachable dude Man you might have sold
Starting point is 00:54:09 A college kiss for Nike and Mercedes But you act like you sold drugs For Escobar in the 80's I had a microphone of yours But then the signature faded I think that pretty much resembles What's been happening lately Yeah I was a fan
Starting point is 00:54:22 Yeah Yeah I know you seen that video Of me holding that microphone I'm gonna get I'm gonna nip this one out quick Oh man Take this ammo out your hand
Starting point is 00:54:31 Yo don't ever tell me Something is symbolic Of what's happening lately Yo I don't like None of the way Drake talking beef He did what me and him Was beefing
Starting point is 00:54:41 Now he DM'd me I hated that shit man Articulate Yeah don't articulate nothing Nah you sling You sling You the bonnix And that always gets dude man
Starting point is 00:54:51 Have you ever been in a verbal altercation And then sounded a little too smart And intelligent And started making sense That just made everyone even more angry That's a fight That line makes me believe That more is coming from Drake's side. That one line right there.
Starting point is 00:55:11 Please believe your demise will be televised. I'm assuming Drake will be on TV a lot in the forthcoming months. In the months to come. That's a safe assumption. Yeah. And I don't think that he just put that there. It's not even a dope enough bar to be right there. It sounds awkward right there.
Starting point is 00:55:29 The flow of it is choppy, it's different. He wanted you to hear that shit. Yeah, yeah, and I heard it, goddammit. All right, let me get back here. Yo. And as for Q, man, I changed his life a couple times. Nigga was at Kroger working double time. Y'all acting like he made the boy when I was trying to help the girl. Yo, y'all are acting like he made the boy. I was just trying to help the guy. I don't know, he was just trying to help the guy out.
Starting point is 00:55:58 I thought he was a Kroger. That's mad nouns. Yeah. And let me just throw out there, I love when he gets back into rapping over the harmonicas and horns, Drake, that he's back to the boy, not muns. Right. It ain't time for mans. I think I like the boy better than mans.
Starting point is 00:56:16 Mans and ting. Yeah, the boy is back. Hey, the boy is back. Yeah. I feel confident with that. Boys to mans and ting. Boys to mans. Mans. Mans to boys. Boys to mans. Boys to mans. Mans.
Starting point is 00:56:27 Mans to boys. Mans and tings. Mans to boy. The boy is back. I don't know if niggas want to smoke with the boy. Now, when he and his boy bag is... His boy bag? Don't let Drake get in his boy bag. When he's in his boy bag.
Starting point is 00:56:36 When he in the boy bag. I want the mans purse. I want the boy bag. Boy bag. Yo. Now, Drake and his boy bag is different. He different, man. He different. It's when he do that man shit
Starting point is 00:56:46 The niggas think they can take him Come on, they're tanging I'll knock you out, tanging He get back in that boy bag It's over for a lot of dudes, man For real, real shit Who gas you to play with me? Man, you made this shit as easy as ABCs
Starting point is 00:57:03 Whoever's supposedly making me hits but ain't got no hits sound like they need me let me just say i hate that i hate that i hate that right i hate i hate that line the same way i hate hated when hove said you you made me make you made me make another one i don't like it i like that but you can't you can't counter it. Right. So it's like perfect and beef. You made this shit as simple as ABC. Whoever said that they're making me hits but ain't got no hits sound like they need me. What a great way to rationalize that. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:57:36 And there's no way to counter it because Quentin Miller will never have a hit on his own. No, he don't say that. He ain't. Come on, man. Never. People be getting hits out of nowhere. Not never he don't say that. He ain't. Come on, man. Never, but... People be getting kids out of nowhere.
Starting point is 00:57:46 but not never, but the chances are... He will never be in... The percentage is small is what I'm saying. I see what you're saying. It's not to knock his talent level,
Starting point is 00:57:54 but the game is the game is what I'm saying. Right, I got you. So yeah, I don't like it, but you can't argue against it. But this record is just well thought out
Starting point is 00:58:04 for him to just... This is science again. science again right clearly this was on his agenda let me address every single doubt and thing that is out there about me the same way every artist attempts to do before their project job right it's nothing it's not new nothing new on the sun my hooks did it my lyrics did it my spirit did it i'm fearless with it yeah i really shouldn't have given you none of my time because Nothing new on the tongue. Brazilian, get out your feelings. It's going to be a cool summer for you. I told Weezy and Baby I'm going to done them for you. Tell Ye we got an invoice coming to you. Considering that we just sold another 20 for you. When he performs that record at OVO Fest this summer. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:59:08 That's going to be crazy. Is it? He's going to sign in person. I don't think so. He did back to back when it dropped and it wasn't crazy. Yes, it was. He had all the memes behind there. No, I'm talking about when he performed it at OVO Fest.
Starting point is 00:59:21 Yeah, that's what I'm talking about. He had all the memes. It was like one of the more talked about performances. Oh, I'm talking about. He had all the memes. It was like one of the more talked about performances. Oh, I'm talking about the audience, the crowd. Oh,
Starting point is 00:59:29 I wasn't there. I just saw the footage of the memes and everyone talking about Tom Long. You can't add to what I'm saying. He was there. He wasn't there either.
Starting point is 00:59:35 You're not even refuting what I'm saying then. God damn it. What do y'all think of this new response time in beef thing? What you mean? I mean, I...
Starting point is 00:59:46 Like, there seems to be a required amount of time. If push don't respond soon, people don't seem to want to hear this shit. It's not that people... It's a new era. People want... It's like, you got slapped, now you got to swing back. Like, how long are you taking the swing? Between you and Ran and Jada and Beans, y'all set the bar for quick response times a little different.
Starting point is 01:00:04 But that's because the game was different back then. And then add the internet. Well, 50 was quick with replies too. Yeah, but that was back... No, 50 just beefed so long and he was so persistent. It wasn't that he was necessarily quick, but he always had a mixtape coming anyway.
Starting point is 01:00:19 I also think that, again, Pusha is in the middle of promo. He's doing shit for the album. But he's still a top tier. I get that, but I still hold him to a level. Yeah, I think he has something that he's working on right now. Like something he's trying to, you know. As long as they don't take him like a year.
Starting point is 01:00:38 You know what I'm saying? No, no, he can't take that long. No, no, no, he can't take that long. All right, what if he responds on Kanye's album? Ah, nah. You don't care that long. All right. What if he responds on Kanye's album? Nah. You don't care? Nah. That's not provocative?
Starting point is 01:00:48 We need something totally away from all of that. Unless it's just an interlude of just you and not a Kanye record. All right. Tell me how this affects. Now, if he responds on Kanye's album, now I'm rolling with y'all with some kahootness going on. But also, that'd be dumb to go- You can't put that on
Starting point is 01:01:05 a Kanye album. You can't tell me I'm running behind this dude and then I reply on his album because that sounds like I need him. So that's dumb if he does No, but I would think
Starting point is 01:01:12 that that's smart. It leverages the playing field, at least in the area of star power. Yeah. Because Drake will always have that one up on whoever he's battling
Starting point is 01:01:21 unless it's Kendrick. Or Kanye. Yeah, but I'm replying that you couldn't stand on your own like I said in the first diss. If I light your ass up and it's on Kanye album and that gets me millions of more streams,
Starting point is 01:01:33 I don't care about whatever you have to say back to that. I won. But see, that's what I'm saying. To me, this isn't about sales and streams. This is about... Bitches and...
Starting point is 01:01:43 Money and cars. You was calling a dude out he responded now it's time to rap yeah you've been baiting the same this ain't streams in yeah but i'm trying to tell y'all and this is just going to be an uncomfortable reality for a lot of people some of our favorite lyricists and i'm not saying that this it holds for Push. Some of our favorite lyricists are just not great in battle. That's very true. I agree with that, yeah, for sure. I'm not ready to put Push in that category. Me neither.
Starting point is 01:02:15 It's just like some niggas can fight until they get hit. Right. I want to see how Push responds to beef. Not initiates. Because this nigga slapped y'all around. Just calling a spade a spade. I do think that Push has the ability to do the same back. But it's going to take some well-calculated, well-thought-out planning. Because these battles, unfortunately, are not won or lost in rapping
Starting point is 01:02:45 anymore right yeah it's everything around it yes other things i think that i think 50 cent and i'm gonna say this and probably get to closing soon because we've met gallop the fuck out of this specific topic and there's mad shit to talk about but 50 cent it maybe is the person that i first remember mixing beef with business. Like his goal in the beef was to crush you in business. He brought the numbers up anytime he could. He brought up the business losses. He just kept it in the fans' faces.
Starting point is 01:03:17 This is money in general that no one could compete with. Ever since then, it seems like that has been an important part of beefing, especially today in the streaming era. So who loses money in this equation? And what did y'all think of that whole invoice thing? What, when he posted the invoice? Yeah. Good for shock value.
Starting point is 01:03:34 You got to play Instagram, unfortunately, in these days. That was petty level black belt right there. That was black belt petty right there. You got to play the social media shit now Unfortunately I like that he just did that And kept this mostly rap though Like it wasn't a whole
Starting point is 01:03:51 Roll out of memes and shit It was just Alright here's the invoice Because I don't think he does that Unless Push retweets and says Send the invoice I don't think that was in the tuck I think he wanted to keep this
Starting point is 01:04:01 Just this verse and that's it When does Kanye's album come out? On Friday. This Friday? Yeah. This Friday is the expiration date on this beef to me. I agree. If I do not hear a response by this Friday, I don't want to hear a response. I give
Starting point is 01:04:18 Pusha a pass because it was a holiday weekend. Who wants to interrupt the fucking barbecue and go have to write for one of the biggest rappers in the world? I'm not doing it. Well, I would do it. I mean, as long as the comeback record is fired, then it is what it is. But it's got to be relatively soon.
Starting point is 01:04:32 I'm not saying you could drag it out to Christmas, but if it takes a week or two and it's crazy, then shit. Let's say Push tears him up on Thursday. Does Drake have to reply? Let's say it's a flawless response. I'm going to answer you and say yes, but I think Drake's replying again anyway. Yeah. I think whether Push is quiet or not,
Starting point is 01:04:54 Drake, we will hear something else from Drake. On the album. He's not done. He's too calculated. He's too smart. Yeah. You gave him the alley-oop right by the rim. He's not going to let it go out of bounds.
Starting point is 01:05:02 He's going to finish proving his point with you the same way he did with Meek. Okay, we have... That was a punch-in. If you didn't know, we are reporting in real time here, so we have... Breaking news, ladies and gentlemen.
Starting point is 01:05:27 That's right. We have breaking news. And that was our breaking news sound effect. Real professionals over here. Pusha has responded. We have recorded an hour of podcasts for nothing. I'm on push aside, man.
Starting point is 01:05:50 I don't know. I'm phony. I am so phony. God damn it. Stay over there. Man, Jersey, why'd you sigh? Why damn it. Stay over there. Man, Drizzy, why'd you sigh? Why the hell? Stay over there.
Starting point is 01:06:11 Why the hell did you have to start like that, Drake? And I peep you. And I lost respect for you. All right, this has gotten good now. When you say you about this coach and this music. I'm excited now. The day you feel you can question me me being what you're from okay we got no one in the cities my
Starting point is 01:06:33 foot you're saying this is not my words any of you radio personalities think you want smoke call me mr. chimney I want. You're a sidekick in this city. Sidekick in the morning. Sidekick on your own show. On Complex, you look like a sidekick. Tell Complex to cut me a check tomorrow because I made you madder tonight.
Starting point is 01:06:58 I'm going to get you some numbers that show it's trash on Complex. On Complex. The artwork. That's the official official artwork the official artwork to the story of uh adonis adidon i don't i don't i think it's adonis the story of adonis the official artwork is drake in blackface the story of adidon i looked at mall and i tried to shoot shoot drake some bail and say that Drake is an actor.
Starting point is 01:07:27 So I'm sure this is from a movie or something like that. And Maul didn't want to hear any of that shit. Yeah, that's tough. It's tough to look at. I never saw this picture before. I don't know how this picture never surfaced before. Eh, Photoshop. I'm sure the original may not look as bad.
Starting point is 01:07:44 No, because then if you look at his shirt In the picture I think It's like some type of character I don't know Alright Drake and Blackface Mixed with the story that Push is telling In the record Let's play the record
Starting point is 01:07:58 Easy money It's about to be a surgical summer Chop the tops off the coops I don't know any Spanish I don't know what the fuck he was saying I'm already scared of push on this beat In particular So I wasn't sure at first About the beat selection
Starting point is 01:08:22 That is what you're supposed to do to snakes. I'm with you, multi, I see that your soul don't look alive The M's count different when baby devise the pie Wait, let's examine why Your music for the past few years been angry and full of lies I started at the home front, I'm on one Dennis Graham stay off the gram, I'm on one You mention wedding ring like it's a bad thing Your father walked away at five. Hell of a dad thing. Que te pasa?
Starting point is 01:09:20 Shitting the side of the man. Push sound like he's been waiting to get some of this stuff off his chest. Oh, for sure. For sure. He was ready. That's the answer to that question. Looks like he left the cookout. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:09:38 That nigga said, yo, I'm going to hit y'all. He fell for it. Virginia Beach is nice this time of year. I would have left Virginia Beach too Hit the studio out there Yeah see what's going on Let's get back to push Use your face Let him know who you chose
Starting point is 01:10:10 As your Beyonce Sophie knows better As your baby mother Cleaned her up for IG But the stench is on her Where do y'all fall Where do y'all fall In um
Starting point is 01:10:22 All is fear And love and war? Well, you said my fiance's name, so we're taking it there now. Families are allowed now. I tried to shoot Drake some bail again, and I thought that this was disturbing to listen to, this part. Was it only like that for me or y'all too? No, I wasn't expecting it to go there. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:10:46 I wasn't expecting it to, but I was fine. I mean, we go back to- Oh, no, I'm not mad at it. Use condoms in the baby seat. Yeah, I'm not mad at it. Yeah, but Hov apologized for that. Yeah. Yeah, after he was not mad anymore.
Starting point is 01:11:00 It's different when you're pissed. No, he apologized immediately. His mom made him apologize. He said that was wrong Dustin settled but the kids I don't play really with kids like a nigga
Starting point is 01:11:13 has put my kid in a battle before and the battle was over well how do you feel well no it wasn't I tore him up but how do you feel
Starting point is 01:11:18 the shots at his mother there that was a mom is cool those were deep mother shots though there's a lot of shots. That's not regular mom talks. He shot up the whole family tree damn near.
Starting point is 01:11:29 Yeah. What'd he say about mom? He was saying that he parades his father around in all the suit, and his mother keeps losing. She's never been married. She was left. It was some fighting words, if you will. Yeah, but Drake Biggs is mom up.
Starting point is 01:11:44 All right, listen, man. I'm going off to this here. This shit is going to another level. I'm just saying it wasn't just a regular mom shot. You're right. It was specific about her happiness. I would feel your push seems to be taking the arsenal approach in this battle. To be as disrespectful as you possibly can.
Starting point is 01:12:03 And maybe you have to do that. Maybe his angle is you have to do that against somebody like Drake. I was going to say, when you're going against Drake... Because, you know, earlier in the podcast,
Starting point is 01:12:12 I said Drake is probably the most invincible battle rapper or rapper at this point. Let's really get into Push's angle if we're subscribing to that. How can Drake fans ignore what push is saying they've ignored a lot they've ignored yeah you got pissed on you've been punched in the face you don't write your shit drake fans have been the blanket to smother a lot of the fire that
Starting point is 01:12:39 has come his way do they care about this they're probably still get drake's back and rightfully so i mean they're low shots drake but this might be alley-oop though let's be let's be cool for a second that's true because drake is drake has modeled his career on being the perfect gentleman and while we know sophie and while we're familiar with the story, so we were paying attention, it was not common knowledge across hip-hop, one. And two, Drake has never denied this. My timeline is full of saying right now, I didn't know Drake had a kid. While it was to us, a lot of people did not know. People thought this was just a rumor.
Starting point is 01:13:24 They swept that one under the rug pretty quickly. People thought this was just a rumor. They swept that one under the rug pretty quickly. People thought this was just a rumor. I'm going to let you know that now. People thought that this was just a rumor. Are you going to kill a man for his relationship with his child? In a rap battle. Well, yeah, you're right. You're right.
Starting point is 01:13:37 I'm not going to kill him personally. You're right. You're right. Part of battle rapping is disrespect. Who can disrespect who? Yeah, and I don't know if this angle's taken at all if Drake doesn't say his fiance's name. This is the problem with this push of shit.
Starting point is 01:13:54 If I just have to throw out some conspiracy theorist joke type shit. The problem here is, in the back of my mind, at some point, I always knew drake were to really be taken down you would need to involve the women right it's not the fans it's the women who keep drake at number one card blanch status and i thought that somebody would have the large responsibility of doing that i just didn't know how because how do you strip someone of their female fan base this is how you do it yeah and this is the time to do it two very well calculated gentlemen I must I must say I must say that that's what I'm most impressed with this thus far I didn't
Starting point is 01:14:42 think the disrespect was gonna go ahead but I like yeah I thought thus far. I didn't think the disrespect was going to go here, but I like it. I thought that... I like it. This is a moment in hip-hop, like, period. For real. This is already a staple in the existence of hip-hop. This is like playoff basketball when somebody gets fouled hard. It's like, okay, now we got to play.
Starting point is 01:14:57 I like it. All right, let's get back to Push. push a baby's involved it's deeper than rap mother cleaned her up for ig but the stench is on her a baby's involved it's deeper than rap we talking character let me keep with the facts you are hiding a child let that boy come home deadbeat mother playing border patrol that's uncomfortable yeah let the boy come home. He in his boy bag now. He flipped that. He flipped that.
Starting point is 01:15:29 He flipped that. He flipped that boy bag. Yeah, he in his boy bag. Man, that was Drake's dangerous weapon. Yep. He flipped it on him. Hmm. Adonis is your son,
Starting point is 01:15:39 and he deserves more than an Adidas press. Yo, why does Push know so much about Drake's family? Like, why do you know the kid's name, where he is, what's happening? Yo, that's the best thing about rap beats, when you got a mole in the camp. Women talk. Oh, nobody talks like women do. If this woman is disgruntled about this whole thing. Yeah, Sophie's angry.
Starting point is 01:15:59 She's telling somebody. body son and he deserves more than an adidas press run that's real love that baby respect that girl forget she's a porn star let her be your world yeah sophie told me she was an urban model i'm just telling you all right how dare you put it in my verses i'm selfish i want all of the curses i'm pre-booking the churches me versus three curses If we all go to hell, it'll be worth it Already aligned with the greats And on that same note The only ones I chase are two ghosts Still giving you classics
Starting point is 01:16:33 That's the only thing that dates me OVO 40, hunched over like he 80 That's fine. That's one line that I kind of... Yeah, he could have... I could have... So, that's where... Come on
Starting point is 01:16:45 Wow these bars are great battle bars Push Everyone loves 40 Push is better than that He minds his business I don't know if that's I don't know if you're going to win in that angle I just think
Starting point is 01:16:55 I just think push is better than this That's all I'm not saying that It shouldn't be allowed Right No I'm with you on that I know what you're saying He doesn't need to resort to this
Starting point is 01:17:02 Push is a better MC Yeah Than he's just throwing blatant insults. It's just not even like, come on. I didn't, for someone who's, come on, but health. That was ether. That was the ball. What was ether? Mad, disrespectful insults. That's very, you and your dick sucking lips is very different from you're sick and you're dying.
Starting point is 01:17:30 No, I'm saying to your point of Nas maybe being a better MC than needing to just say disrespectful, mean jokes. That's what I'm comparing it to. I agree with you. Push is also a better MC. I think there was a more clever way to do this, but I'm not one to judge. I'm just watching. Shit. Keep playing.
Starting point is 01:17:50 There's more 40 bucks. I'm not coming in on tick, tick, tick. That's crazy. That's crazy. Over like he 80. Tick, tick, tick. How much time he got? That man is sick, sick, sick.
Starting point is 01:18:01 I got the devil flowed. This is a rap battle. No, no flowed, gah This is a rap battle No, no, no, no It's a rap battle You can't make the hospital Tick, tick, tick noise No, no, no It's a fight
Starting point is 01:18:13 That's not, that's not, that's not What we doing? What's at stake? It's a fight I would look at my opponent and say What are we doing? Like, what are we doing? He said it
Starting point is 01:18:22 He put it, Pusha put it out there Nothing is off Nothing is out of bounds right now What did dreg say about his fiancee said her name a wedding ring of one push probably feels like even no wait wait wait time out before y'all before y'all before y'all go any further before y'all go any further i have been i've been saying for quite some time no like niggas from a different generation like you just speak in you can't you can't talk about somebody's girl yeah because the second you talk about somebody's girl you have just and you've triggered something yeah you have triggered another level in in beef
Starting point is 01:18:54 like i'm not i'm no longer i'm getting on the phone i'm looking for you we gotta we gotta talk like really not doing that so i do understand that but the caption on his instagram when he posted it was, Virginia Williams shall never be mentioned in a song by anyone aside from me. Surgical Summer, the story of Adon, lives in my story. So clearly that's specifically what bothered him out of the whole thing, and he thinks I can put everything out there now, now that you've mentioned someone, you know, an innocent bystander.
Starting point is 01:19:22 All right, so let's talk about it. The only way, hold on it the only way hold on the only way I see Pusha going that hard off of him saying his fiance his wife's name is if his wife and Drake
Starting point is 01:19:34 have a relationship not necessarily no that would be the only reason I mean that I I can't see that I can't see him just saying her name
Starting point is 01:19:42 bringing all of this like disrespect but then again I don't know if I'd want name, bringing all of this disrespect. But then again, I don't know if I'd want to bring the attention to her if that clip is in Drake's. You bring someone that's... Because he didn't say nothing crazy about his wife. Let me roll with your theory for a minute more. If that's true, and Drake is known to have been with quite a few women. If that's true, and Push knows it,
Starting point is 01:20:06 I don't know if he addresses it this way. Yeah. I don't think he's bold enough. Yeah, because you already know what's coming back. Yeah, but he got the jump. He jumped out and pushed the disrespect. He took it to the next level. Do you guys think this was a mistake on Drake's part now? The same way we said was it a mistake on Push's part
Starting point is 01:20:23 to fuck with Drake while he was actively recording. Yeah. Is this a mistake on Drake's part now. The same way we said was it a mistake on Push's part to fuck with Drake while he was actively recording? Is this a mistake on Drake's part knowing whatever he knows about No. I think Drake
Starting point is 01:20:32 is well prepared. Yeah, maybe. Maybe so. I don't think it's a mistake. Oh yeah, no. I'm sticking by what I said earlier. We were hearing from Drake
Starting point is 01:20:39 regardless and now he's just angry now. Yeah. Now it's like, okay, I think Drake now knows that, okay, it's at another level. Now nothing is out of hand.
Starting point is 01:20:48 And that's why I can't really be mad at Push's angle because somehow he's done what has been seemingly impossible, which was pit Drake against integrity. Exactly. Because it's the only place that there's a fair fight where you can almost always win and attack his credibility. He's gotten the fight here. I don't know how Drake responds if Pusha's been noble his whole career. And you got to think, if you looked at the Meek and Drake thing and how much the internet played a part in that beef, Pusha can't bar you to death. The four or five of us will love it, but Twitter wants all those, oh shit,
Starting point is 01:21:28 Drake got a kid now. They need those little exposing things to really be effective in battle rap now. You can't just bar someone to death. Pusha was ready. Let me play this and see if we can get to it. Stip, stip, stip. And you don't really want it with him. Surgical Summer Volume 1. Volume 1. We're going to take this slow.
Starting point is 01:21:50 Volume 1. That's slow? That was quick. That was pretty fast to me. Volume 1. Surgical Summer means that he is well prepared to tango. Remember when I was trying to put this EP out? Yes.
Starting point is 01:22:07 That was the point I was trying to prove. I am prepared to tango, good, bad, or indifferent. I'm ready. Right. Push is ready. He's ready. The MCs are ready. He's ready.
Starting point is 01:22:15 Yeah. But Drake is ready, too. I'm going to assume that. Now, I'm not saying he'll win. I'm saying ready as in he's been recording. His pen is sharp. Right. His mind is sharp. Right. Now, I'm not saying he'll win I'm saying ready as in he's been recording His pen is sharp His mind is sharp
Starting point is 01:22:25 Now I'm excited Is he touring this album? It was going to really hurt me to judge Push If the response didn't come by Friday And I was going to judge him That was going to hurt Yeah Has he announced a tour for this album?
Starting point is 01:22:45 Pusha. I don't know. I haven't seen it. I don't know. I don't know yet. So they're saying that Drake was planning to announce his son's name to his Adidas brand. That's been the whole thing. So yeah, he deserves more than the son of Adonis.
Starting point is 01:23:02 Gotcha. So he just fucked up the whole announcement. Yeah. Yeah, but that helps. That's a chess move. Yeah, that helps. That's chess. That gives us some understanding here.
Starting point is 01:23:13 And also, and we know how calculated Drake is, that that press release, I'm sure, would have been the most perfect press release ever. And this is exactly what is going to happen here. And Push tried to get ahead of it by saying you cleaned up for Instagram. Now, I haven't gone to Sophie's Instagram. I haven't checked in a while. But when we saw the announcement that someone was pregnant with who we assumed to be Drake's child,
Starting point is 01:23:37 I could have told you they were going to do a cleanup job. Of course. They were going to make her appear to be extremely beautiful and presentable. Not saying she isn't, but they were going to put the appear to be extremely beautiful and presentable. Not saying she isn't. But they were going to put the spice on it. The sauce on it. So now you're announcing a name. There's an Adidas run.
Starting point is 01:23:54 Push might have just sent through the alley-oop by the rim. Yeah. Yeah, so her IG has 11 posts right now. And they're all pretty motherly. Yeah, of course it does. They changed that whole shit up. I still got the pool party pics, I think. Of course it does. They're all pretty motherly. Yeah, of course it does. They changed that whole shit up. I still got the pool party pics, I think. Oh, my God.
Starting point is 01:24:09 Oh, Push is about to call you. Calm down. You're right. I'm not getting involved in that mess. No, she was just there. I'm not being funny, Mo. I know. What was I saying just now?
Starting point is 01:24:20 What happened with her? Oh, the Instagram. Oh, yeah. So what I'm saying is, I think when the rumors came out drake and his fucking genius genius squad the genius bar team sat down and and they figured out how to approach the fact that someone was pregnant with a child so i don't think that this is like a shocker for him how to respond to it is what i'm saying i I'm just anxious to see it. I can't wait.
Starting point is 01:24:45 Yeah. I can't wait. Score one for hip hop. Round of applause. Absolutely. Round of applause for fucking hip hop. Now that we've spent 84 minutes on nothing but beef. Y'all thought the Met Gala shit was bad.
Starting point is 01:25:01 A lot more hip hop came out. We got to talk about it. Some of it is really important to address. Quickly, before we get off push, what did y'all think about the album cover? I thought that's what we started that conversation with. The blackface shit? No, no, no.
Starting point is 01:25:14 Talk about the... Oh, his album cover that he paid $85,000, what Kanye paid 85 grand for, that caused a lot of grief to some of the family of Whitney Houston I think it was a cousin or uncle if I read correctly uh I really don't see what the correlation was and again more distaste in my opinion yeah and I think it's even more distasteful
Starting point is 01:25:39 when you're paying a photographer you're not paying the estate you're not paying the family you don't know how they'll feel about it it's distasteful it didn't have that much to do with your body of work outside of the reason behind her death yeah i didn't like you didn't need it you didn't need it i didn't i didn't like it i thought it took away from shit but we love push so we're not going to talk about that yeah i didn't i wasn't feeling that no i don't don't don't try to hit me with the art that's one of my worst After I go, now everybody want to get disrespectful and wild and crazy. No. Come on.
Starting point is 01:26:09 Y'all loved me when I was here. Don't just start wiling after I'm going home. There was something. ASAP Rocky's album. Has anyone heard it? Yeah. I listened to it. I was just saying it as a joke.
Starting point is 01:26:25 Yeah. No, it was good, I listened to it. I was just saying it as a joke. Yeah, no, it was good. I ran through it once. It sounds, it's a different sound from Rocky for me. Yo, anytime niggas start with yo, it's a different sound for Rocky. For him? For Rocky. I wasn't expecting it to sound like that. It's not that big of a jump from his last album to me.
Starting point is 01:26:44 It's not, but it's still a different sound. It's a little more electronic, I guess, or something. Yeah, that's all I'm saying. I wasn't expecting that. Does Ace have Rocky dress better than he raps? I don't think that he claims to be a great rapper, per se. Can you answer my question now, please? Thank you.
Starting point is 01:27:01 I didn't ask you about what he claimed. Does he dress better than he raps? Yes. That's my first question. Yeah. question now please thank you i didn't ask you about what he's better than he raps yes that's my first question yeah my second question is does everyone here think it's time for asap rocky to pass the baton to asap ferg and get out of his way i don't know if he's in for i don't think he's in his way i think ferg has better albums has more singles Yeah Yeah I think he's a better performer Yeah I think he checks off
Starting point is 01:27:27 Everything better than A$AP Rocky I think I just think I agree I don't think Ferg has that Star Power
Starting point is 01:27:33 I disagree I think Ferg is a fucking star That's not being utilized Rocky just sold 100,000 records Don't tell me about His star power anymore Well I mean
Starting point is 01:27:42 Rocky's He's still a star But not musically Yeah I forgot we changed the rules for the people we like. No, no, no.
Starting point is 01:27:47 It's not that. It's not that I like him. I'm just claiming to be an A$AP fan. $100 is pretty good. Are you saying that's not good? No, it is good,
Starting point is 01:27:53 but you're not a star at 100,000 records, though. No, you're still a star. You're not a star. He's a star. No, A$AP Rocky's a star. He's a star. I thought you said superstar. $100,000 is a star still? No, I thought he said superstar. I take it back. I apologize to A$AP Rocky's a star He's a star I thought you said superstar
Starting point is 01:28:05 100,000 is a star still No I thought he said superstar I take it back I apologize to A$AP Rocky I thought he said superstar No There's only a handful of superstars What other albums came out?
Starting point is 01:28:18 I want to take this time Actually don't answer that I want to take this time To send a public service announcement to nikki minaj i want to talk to her and the barbs personally uh-oh no no no no i come in peace okay barbs barbs this is joe budden i know wait let me play the peaceful music all right that means i come in peace and my knees are exposed clearly i'm not dressed for beef nikki minaj and the barbs i know that we have had our issues in the past over what I would deem to largely be misunderstandings. I would like to offer my free consultation to you and your camp as a whole.
Starting point is 01:29:25 You heard that right. Pro bono. Rather than come on this podcast and say things that would make you angry. Because I don't want that's not my goal. goal the study the case of Nicki Minaj in this mysterious album rollout has been the most confusing thing to me in the university I don't understand it and I like the two songs this new thing that they're doing her and em I thought it was a joke I thought it was a joke. I thought it was a joke at first and it could still be a joke. So forgive me if it is indeed a joke. The problem with that is today joke equals trolling.
Starting point is 01:30:18 Trolling equals attention and we are in the era of receiving attention. So it's real tough to identify what's a joke and what isn't a joke. So when I heard it, I thought it was a joke. Then I saw Nikki started dressing it and I looked at it a little funny and then I saw Em started dressing it and it all looks funny to me. This is what I think. Back to my Wale Warner point earlier. I think that a lot of the radio acts, when I say radio acts acts that were dominant when radio was dominant are having a really hard time adjusting to the inclusion of the internet in our culture I think Wale is on
Starting point is 01:30:55 that list I think Nicki Minaj is on that list two people who dominated radio with radio records when you listen to the new Nicki Minaj records they are still radio records not really geared towards streaming which is why I think they're having a difficult time because I think she's being marketed and promoted one way but the game has changed and someone on her squad is not really acknowledging this this Nicki and M rumor is not the way it's not the way and it does nothing but make all parties involved look away
Starting point is 01:31:29 I'm saying that from an outsider's perspective Nicky have someone call me please so I can walk someone through just proper protocol right now you push the album back to August 10th.
Starting point is 01:31:47 It's a big pushback. Yeah. Especially with two- That's the part that's telling. That just shows how unprepared you are. No, but I don't think she's unprepared. I don't think it's her. I think that someone behind her is looking for something
Starting point is 01:32:01 to trigger something and they're not seeing it. So we keep getting hype about this album that we know she has completed because it's she's been working on it forever she's told us that her and zane and they're not seeing the traction that they're looking for even though i really like those two records and i thought they moved well i've heard them play like when i was out and about and meet me in the car and all the same do i same here but i don't know what her handlers are looking for. Yeah, they might be looking for a different metric than what we're looking at.
Starting point is 01:32:30 Yeah, but if they're judging impact, I don't think she's yet done anything that should be deemed as impactful today, which is why I suggested that maybe she should do a podcast. Because Zane Lowe, nobody gives a fuck. Sorry. We don't give two fucks about Zane
Starting point is 01:32:45 Lowe Zane when he's high we don't give a fuck about Zane we just don't so yeah just hit me that's all I want to say clearly y'all don't have nothing to say that was your Nicki commencement speech
Starting point is 01:33:01 well we don't have a topic list we don't talk during the week but I'm just. Well, we don't have a topic list. We don't talk during the week. But I'm just saying, do y'all have no thoughts about a push? It seems weird. That's a far pushback. It seems weird. From June to August 20. That's the end of August.
Starting point is 01:33:14 My birthday is August 31. That's the end of the summer. What metric are they looking for? To me, the album, she had to play that for somebody. And they said, nah, that ain't it. Because there's no way. You've got to take the risk at that point. that for somebody and they said nah that ain't it cause there's no way you gotta take the risk at that point
Starting point is 01:33:26 cause those two singles did alright you did your whole Lil Zane low press run you've been putting the videos out you're now taking away all that momentum
Starting point is 01:33:34 that you had it's not you know 2012 anymore you're not gonna have the same numbers and metrics you had you've seen the decline
Starting point is 01:33:41 but you can still be successful you can still put out. I'd take the risk at that point. Oh, wait. We went into Nikki and we didn't discuss any of the Donda house drama. No. They're pulling up.
Starting point is 01:33:55 Is that Drake's baby mom? Yeah. Oh, wow. Yeah, they're pulling up the old tweets. Pusha said he didn't alter that artwork either. That's a real photo. Good to know. Thank you, Push.
Starting point is 01:34:11 Anyways. Say, Vaughn, pull up the Donda's House drama. Let's get into our investigative journalism and get to the bottom of things with that one. Alright, so that was my problem with R fest rhyme rhyme fest this is
Starting point is 01:34:28 a story if you're not to know rhyme fest apparently took over donda's house from kanye who was apparently too busy to uh fully operate it so rhyme fest took it over and started doing good deeds all around uh chicago for the youth uh asked help. A whole bunch from Kim and Kanye over the years claims to have received none of it. And that's the story in a nutshell. I think they started it together, no? Yeah, they started it together.
Starting point is 01:34:55 And then he just did it full time. Yeah. It ended up with Rhymefest doing things full time. I didn't like Rhymefest doing things full time. I didn't like Rhymefest adding Drake. Why not? Rhymefest added Drake to say, hey, Kanye West didn't give us shit for Donda's house,
Starting point is 01:35:18 which is named after his mother who's deceased. So can you? I don't, that's nasty to me well no he said he said he asked and kanye said he doesn't give a fuck about the youth in chicago it's all right so let me tell you why that's not nasty y'all let me tell you why it's nasty to me rhyme fest rhyme fesses entire argument seems to be soiled in merit and nobility. Which means to me that everywhere I look, I should see nothing but merit and nobility. And in this particular instance, I see neither.
Starting point is 01:36:03 It's too much responsibility on your shoulders for you to be this careless with it. You're including someone else. Drake, it's messy. He's beefing beefing with him it's messy i don't care how you feel about kanye it's messy that part is messy you're asking him for money to fund and he said he knows it's messy because the end of the tweet was saying i know i look away and i don't give a fuck it's for my brother or whatever now ryan fest i i know him i know him to be a good guy i'm just saying that one particular part of his angle i wasn't with it yeah i mean it's i guess his his thinking is he's capitalizing off that and maybe his intentions are good that drake will send him the money because maybe at the end of the day that's really all ryan fest wants well rory came to my house for my little fake cookout that I had the other day.
Starting point is 01:36:57 And I do have one more really, really, really, really, really important question about this whole Kanye, Kim Kardashian, Rhymefest, Donda's house mystery. That's right. And I didn't see many people talk about it. I need someone to tell me why Kim thinks, because she said to Rhymefest, and I quote, after her tangent, she said, oh, and one last thing. That flight to Wyoming, oh, it's canceled. And I read it,
Starting point is 01:37:26 and I read it a few times. I was confused. And I said, why does Kim Kardashian think that anybody wants to go to Wyoming? No, that's what Kanye's recording himself. I know more. Oh, okay.
Starting point is 01:37:39 You never thought about getting a little R&R in Wyoming? No. I have never heard anybody say, hey, I'm headed to Wyoming for the turn up. It's supposed to be lit out there this weekend. I think that's where the really rich people party. But why did she say that to Rhymefest as if Rhymefest was supposed to be disappointed and sad that he couldn't go to Wyoming? Right. With Kanye.
Starting point is 01:38:03 Listen. The reason I don't think Rhymefest is capitalizing off this in a way, he's been saying this before it was cool to shit on Kanye. He's been on Twitter,
Starting point is 01:38:13 he's been very active about how lost Kanye West was and how he is a friend and he's trying to help and it's just not working. That's true. So I don't know if this, he didn't just come out
Starting point is 01:38:22 to Woodworks and say, well now's my time to add Drake. Rhymefest has been on this since my beef with Saigon. And that was a really long time ago. That was a while ago, yeah. Yeah, so. Well, how do we feel about Kim Kardashian's Twitter account being like Kanye's Kevin Durant account?
Starting point is 01:38:41 Stop joking me. No, we both said that joke. I said that was his Katie Burner account. All right, go ahead and get it off. No, it's fine. The timing's off now.
Starting point is 01:38:51 You got it. Well, if he was going to give it to me, then you shouldn't have stepped on it when I said it. Duh, that's how I fuck up the rhythm. Are you rebuking me?
Starting point is 01:39:02 That was Kanye tweeting from Kim's account. That was 100%. For sure's camera. That was 100%. For sure. Yes. For sure. Absolutely. I don't think Kim was in the studio checking out, checking for fake Yeezys everywhere.
Starting point is 01:39:14 No. And Kim wouldn't have put the ha-ha after that part. That was Kanye. Kanye ain't think we stupid, man. We've never seen Kim. You're not worthy to be on this. That's Kanye West. Kanye and Charlamagne don't think we stupid, man. We've never seen Kim Rihanna. You're not worthy to be on this. That's Kanye West. Kanye and Charlamagne don't think we bright.
Starting point is 01:39:28 It's fucked up now that I'm going to just add Charlamagne and anything that Kanye do trash. Man, the gunshots. Get your fucking quiet in here. I mean, if you know, you know. Everybody don't know. If you know, you know. If you know don't know. If you know, you know. If you know, you know.
Starting point is 01:39:49 Right? I mean, it's true. My name is my name. Yeah, Pusha's pretty good at all that stuff, man. I gotta give that guy credit. I'm on Maul's team. Pusha's killing it. All right, let me see what else is here.
Starting point is 01:40:00 Nicky M. Y'all skipped that one. Y'all are fucking clowns. ASAP and Ferg. Y'all skipped that one. Y'all are fucking clowns. A$AP and Ferg. Y'all didn't really skip that one, really. I don't feel like talking about Morgan Freeman yet. Did you guys watch J. Cole interview Lil Pump?
Starting point is 01:40:14 No. Definitely didn't click that name, Rory. Who do you follow? I don't want to see Lil Pump and J. Cole do anything together yeah I don't want to see I don't want to see Lil Pump and J. Cole do anything together yeah I'm good
Starting point is 01:40:26 yeah no I'm cool on the Pump club I was confused about who paired these I get it they've been fake beefing and niggas is hype about it we're all trying to bridge
Starting point is 01:40:36 the gap between the youth and the older guys and the mumble I couldn't get past the six minute mark because like all those little kids,
Starting point is 01:40:45 why none of them do interviews, they all are socially awkward, can't speak. They have nothing to say. There's no opinion. Have you ever done Xanax and Percocets? I have. They're not very good for social interaction. I wanted to have an opinion. So it was basically Cole.
Starting point is 01:40:58 It was like you ever been in the living room, someone left a nephew, and now you have to awkwardly try to have conversation with a baby only white people talk to their nephews it was like that it was Cole just like fishing like trying to answer
Starting point is 01:41:12 it for him to get him to agree or not agree like it was just I like the idea but it wasn't gonna work can Lil Pump make like coherent sentences
Starting point is 01:41:21 not really oh come on I'm not watching that shit coherent sentences even though niggas niggas didn I'm not watching that shit. Coherent sentences. Even though niggas, listen, niggas tell me Pump is supposed to be like the new age Michael Jackson. Every three years they say that this decade. They just be throwing Mike name out there.
Starting point is 01:41:34 You can't stop throwing Mike name out there just so freely. Nobody's the next Michael Jackson. Relax. It certainly isn't Lil Pump. Right. I'm not putting my money on Lil Pump being the next MJ. I never thought Harold Minor had a chance isn't Lil Pump. Right. I'm not putting my money on Lil Pump being the next MJ. I never thought Harold Minor had a chance
Starting point is 01:41:47 at being Jordan either. Never. Even after that dunk contest. Yeah. I got it, the Baldy. Yeah. That's where it stopped.
Starting point is 01:41:54 That is exactly where it stopped. Sorry, Harold. Right. All right, what else? I can't believe Push did that. That's wild.
Starting point is 01:42:03 I mean. I'm still in shock a little bit. Do you think he shot his lower paws? No. No. It's surgical someone. He said volume one.
Starting point is 01:42:11 That tells me. Yo, you know. And he didn't even reply to the dish yet. If that makes sense. What's Shorty's name from Scandal? Olivia Pope? Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:42:20 See, because Karen Civil is like the culture's Olivia Pope. Like Karen Civil might be out culture's Olivia Pope like Karen Civil might be out there getting the dirt that is true you beef with Push you gotta beef with Karen a little bit
Starting point is 01:42:31 yeah now I don't know if Drake want that beef you gotta get a girl on your side hey I'm joking by the way if anybody if anybody important
Starting point is 01:42:42 is listening I love when I say some inappropriate shit By the way, if anybody important is listening. I love when I say some inappropriate shit and the whole room gets quiet. Yo, if you know, you know. Listen, I didn't watch that show, so I didn't want to agree and Olivia Pope be some wild shit. I was in the same boat. I was like, okay, is that bad or good? Y'all didn't watch Scandal. I didn't watch Scandal.
Starting point is 01:43:05 Ever, ever, right? No, I didn't. Not never in your life. No. Didn't hear anybody talking about it. I heard people talking about it. Didn't see the timeline on it. I didn't mean to watch it.
Starting point is 01:43:13 Couldn't use context clues and figure out the purpose of it. The only thing I knew is she was fucking the president who was married, so I want to agree to that Karen shit. Rory is just now watching Evil Genius. Well, I finished it yesterday. I didn't see that shit. Of course you didn't. You should watch it.
Starting point is 01:43:27 You should watch it tonight. I heard it's good. Phenomenal, actually. Shit was crazy. Yo, I had a brilliant idea. Let's just go through the rest of life off what we heard. What's wrong with you? Every week we've been telling you, I heard that was hard.
Starting point is 01:43:42 I finally watched it. Only because y'all told me to. On Sunday, I go to give Joe a compliment. And I was like, yo, man, thanks for the recommendation. I'm really enjoying Evil Genius. Oh, I wish you fucking would have done it before the podcast. I was like, all right. Well, first of all, you know I don't take compliments well.
Starting point is 01:44:01 I was trying to say. Y'all don't either, really. It's a nice polo. Why men don't know how to take compliments? Because that was trying to say you have good taste. Y'all don't either really. It's a nice polo. Why men don't know how to take compliments? Because that's a men thing. No, it's untrusting. That's not just me.
Starting point is 01:44:11 You don't know if this can turn a flip. It depends on where it's coming from. Yeah. Like if it's coming from somebody who I think is just an asshole, I don't know if you're being serious or not. You know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 01:44:20 Yeah, pandering. Yeah, I don't know what you're doing. It's like, all right, what's coming after that? Like, stop playing with me. Don't set me up to say thank you and then completely shit on me once I'm saying? Yeah, pandering. Yeah, I don't know what you're doing. It's like, all right, what's coming after that? Like, stop playing with me. Don't set me up to say thank you and then completely shit on me once I do. All right, can we take a hip-hop break so I can ask y'all some other things? Because I want to laugh at shit.
Starting point is 01:44:35 Like, Push got me kind of down. You want to start on hip-hop? I think we'll do that. I feel like I got to play a happy song or something. Get the morale up. Change the spirits in here. Yeah. Say something, Rory.
Starting point is 01:44:48 No. My morale is still very fucking low at the moment. Yeah, get some Uncle Charlie. Yeah, man. How come Outstanding always does a trick? I feel better already. Damn it, boys. You can play this when the uncle's about to fight at the cookout and they don't stop.
Starting point is 01:45:06 Or when your uncle's about to have a seizure at the cookout. Because I ain't going to lie, man. When Uncle Walter dropped in that elevator. See why you should talk to your nephews? Yeah, because you can't die when this is playing. I don't know anybody that has died while this was playing. Yeah. And if you're going to die when this is on, you got to give me a cool six minutes.
Starting point is 01:45:32 Yeah. Y'all got to wait. Hey. Wait a minute. It's a shame that Push got me having to do this to feel better so I could finish my podcast. I like it, though. Where do y'all rank this song on the greatest songs of all time? Top 100? do this to feel better so I could finish my podcast. I like it though. Where do y'all rank this song on the
Starting point is 01:45:46 greatest songs of all time? Top 100? For sure. For its vibe? Yeah. It's top 100. Damn. We can't cut it off
Starting point is 01:45:56 before the hook. No way. Disrespectfully. Before I hit that note coming up. Hey. Everybody at work hit a two-step real quick. I feel better. Yeah, I'm much better. Thank God, Charlie.
Starting point is 01:46:24 Thanks, Uncle. Thank you, Uncle Charlie. All right, so over the weekend, you know, Twitter never ceases to amaze me with some of the shit they argue about. Somebody tell me what the fuck a predate is. I don't know. A predate? I thought that was a DM. Word.
Starting point is 01:46:38 Yeah, I thought it was like a text. The DM is a predate, I thought. A predate is, yeah, a text conversation. You know what the preddate was always for me? But they stopped doing this. But back in the day, when you exchanged numbers in the club, the pre-date for me is... The lights come on?
Starting point is 01:46:54 Is the number valid? You'll call me when you get home. If they actually call you? Well, the attempt is there. So now the onus is off of me, and it's on them For whenever they're Available to call me But it lets them know
Starting point is 01:47:08 I am thirsty enough And polite enough To want That was the old trick I'm pretending to care About your well being Of getting home Yeah so call me
Starting point is 01:47:16 The pre-date used to be Walking to home Ah School Yeah but them bitches Started living like Dangerous places I walk you only to here
Starting point is 01:47:24 If she living at Jack's You know know what block you got to stop at. Like, yo, I can't cross this Ave. Like, you know I can't go there. Yo, you ever go to the club with the chick that you try in the bag and she almost get you beat up? Of course. Yeah, absolutely. Yo, that shouldn't be just common for all men.
Starting point is 01:47:41 That shit happens with girls that you actually do date. But why do men trying to fuck the girl is going to get them beat up just by doing some stupid shit? Because men, when they want to fuck, don't think straight. That's why you got to beat off before you leave the crib. The pussy is better when it's danger involved. Yeah, a little bit. Get the adrenaline pumping. It's got to be risk in there.
Starting point is 01:48:03 You got some of your best sex smashing a chick in her building and the niggas on her block. You got beef on her block. Some of the best sex ever. Public bathroom sex or something. Nah, it's just dirty sex. Park's on his white side.
Starting point is 01:48:18 I want 100%. I have no public bathroom sex. Jesus. I've done it. You ever fucked in a bar bathroom? The only public bathroom I'm even not afraid of is the one in Neiman's. Look what life took this thing.
Starting point is 01:48:30 I'm saying. I go right to Neiman's for the number two. Right to Neiman's. Wait, y'all ain't never had to take a shit in the mall? Hell yeah. Then where you going? You're fucking right. Neiman's and Nordstrom's, nigga.
Starting point is 01:48:45 Go try Macy's. You'll see what the tax bracket is. Yeah, you'll definitely see what it is. Not so nice in there on the towel. You're sitting here like you ain't fucking Lincoln Park when you was in high school. Yeah, fuck money. Like what? Like you ain't fucking Lincoln Park when you was in high school.
Starting point is 01:48:57 And Lincoln Park is different. What's the difference? Lincoln Park is different from a public bathroom. I'm not talking about a McDonald's bathroom. You just said a bar bathroom, which is worse. It could be the 40-40. I've never fucked in a bar bathroom. Park's fucking a bar bathroom and it didn't tag on the wall.
Starting point is 01:49:16 Park's fucking it. Double entendre. Park's fucking it. Park's was here. Parked. Parked the pussy. Park's was was here. Parked. Parked the pussy. Parks was here again. Park's definitely
Starting point is 01:49:30 hanging up in a public bathroom for sure. All right, so nobody gives a fuck about a pre-date. You know, I think the pre-date doesn't exist no more. I tell you the pre-date, if you've never met Shorty,
Starting point is 01:49:39 you DM her. The pre-date to me would be let me invite her out to a public place where other people are just in case she's catfish. I could just chill. We are the most misogynistic podcast.
Starting point is 01:49:50 Let me explain to you what the gender war is here. Women are saying that a date is for you to get to know one another. And men are saying, nah, fuck that. A date is me spending money on you, so why wouldn't I put in the necessary work to get to know you before money has to be spent? And then the women are saying, you niggas is broke. Typically, they're ending.
Starting point is 01:50:18 Anytime I say so, what now? All right, I'm broke. What's wrong with being broke? You let me be, and I'm broke. What's wrong with being broke? You let me be and I'm broke. What'd they say about you? Let me tell you something. I've gone on dates before to explain why I was not going to go on dates again. If you've gone on a few of those, you're going to try to pre-date as much as you can.
Starting point is 01:50:42 Because she ordered the shrimps, the scallops, the steak. I was like, yo, this date is to explainate as much as you can. Because she ordered the shrimps, the scallops, the steak. I was like, yo, this date is to explain we're not dating, bitch. You can't order that stuff. Is a predate by definition supposed to be an actual date? No. They're just saying what happens pre. I'm talking about DMs and texts. What happens pre the date?
Starting point is 01:50:58 DMs and texts. Maybe at this time. Yeah, but I'm still, no. My move is invite them to a party that's already happening where your friends are there already. So if you need to ignore her or she ends up being catfished or she's crazy, I have an excuse or somewhere to go. Yeah, solid move. Then if she's all right, all right, we can talk about it. You know what the problem is?
Starting point is 01:51:16 And this is not going to be for this podcast. But in what you just said, normally men recognize that she checks all the crazy boxes and we still fuck. Well, yeah, because crazy pussy... I'm waiting. We'll be taking this with that one. That's why I was
Starting point is 01:51:32 checking the boxes. That is exactly what happens. Trying to get us to be more responsible than people. I don't like response. Well, all right, let me ask you a question.
Starting point is 01:51:40 And this is not on my docket since we're just talking here. What age do you think you're gonna stop fucking like stop fucking ever having sex again that is what i'm talking about like literally like being a hoe or just stop fucking no stop fucking no longer able to as a muscle they got drugs though the day i was gonna say calls me home i know but if you take those drugs enough now they're probably not gonna work later later. I.e. us.
Starting point is 01:52:05 What? The day the good Lord calls me home is when I'll stop fucking. I mean, ideally, yeah. In a perfect world. That's how I'm trying to go out. Men are amazing, man. I really don't see how we have a woman fan base. I'm trying to go out.
Starting point is 01:52:19 I'm trying to go out. All right, wait. I got some more questions for you. What is the worst act? Cash-apping a stripper. Yes, I'm going with that. It could get worse. I don't even want to hear what's after that.
Starting point is 01:52:33 It could definitely get worse. Have you ever cash-apped a stripper? No. Would you judge someone for cash-apping a stripper? Like for a dance? What if you didn't have no cash? A lap dance? It was a time.
Starting point is 01:52:42 It seems convenient to me. This is what happens. Yes, I'm judging you. So I can't cash-ap a stripper. is what happens yes i'm judging so i can't cash out a stripper no i'm pretty sure i'm pretty sure she's okay with that but if you my man and i see you doing that oh i'm cutting i'm cutting your ass how would you know you would just see me playing on my phone no i'm saying if i knew that that's what you were doing oh the jokes are coming so you're picking that one yes all right well the second one one was the little triple X spots that used to be on 42nd that you bust a nut for 99 cents.
Starting point is 01:53:09 That's worse. You ever go in one of the little sexy booths? Joe's not fucking in a bathroom, but he's jerking off on 42nd. See, see, see. Come on, come on, come on, come on. You're not going to sit here and joke on me for fucking in a bar bathroom. Wait, no, time out. I never rubbed one out in there.
Starting point is 01:53:26 You were just going... So we were just hanging out? Yeah, you was young. You was just someone else. That was like our first strip club. Like, you're going to look at us some ass. We couldn't get in the strip club. Wait, time out.
Starting point is 01:53:34 Rory's excluded from this because Rory was 11 and O3. This is different. I had the 40s. Yeah, this is different. What I'm saying is like... Never did a peep show for 10, 15, 16. That was like, you know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 01:53:42 Where you've never been in one? No, I never have. Yeah, when you were young and you went to Times Square, you used to be one of the only ones. Yeah, that was how you got hip as a youngin'. Yeah, you couldn't get in a strip club to see some titties. I was getting man change for a dollar at 15. What? Bitch, keep moving it.
Starting point is 01:54:00 You're talking about the video choice? No. No, it was a live girl, not a video. That's a slightly different situation, but it's still nasty as fuck. Oh, no, it was nasty. The booth is nasty. Oh, don't go in there at 3 p.m. Where nasty is human?
Starting point is 01:54:13 That's true. All four of us are nasty. Our brains are just nasty. In Park's defense, he's just saying you can't judge him for fucking in a bathroom if you're in a booth paying 25 cents where people have jerked off. Sure I can. I'm just judging back. All right. Well, was it a bathroom that had homeboy by the door with the baby wipes and shit?
Starting point is 01:54:31 I don't know. Oh, no. That's crazy. Listen. With the Listerine? Although that's probably a cleaner bathroom. No comment. Honestly.
Starting point is 01:54:38 I've definitely slid dude $10. I ain't going to be in there showing homeboy all my moves. I've definitely slid dude $10. I ain't going to be in there showing homeboy all my moves. Hey, you think the fucking local concierge bathroom guy is going to go home with all my moves? Fuck you. All right. No, but it's great because he has all the necessary things for after sex.
Starting point is 01:55:01 Yeah, you can clean up nice. That might be what they're there for. I've slipped in money before. Oh, y'all try. Clean up after sex is for the girl. I'm going to bed. You want to wash your dick off in the sink? No.
Starting point is 01:55:12 In the sink is disgusting. Holy shit. In the sink. Are you putting your dick in the sink? That's disgusting. Like putting your dick in the sink is absolutely crazy. I'm never washing my hands at Park's crib or going in the bathroom. What the fuck? You can't put your dick in the sink.
Starting point is 01:55:24 No, I'm traumatized. Holy shit. How you put your dick in the sink. No, I'm traumatized. Holy shit. How you put your dick in the sink? Yo, cause Fox is 6'6". He's mad tall. Yo, you are a nasty nigga, man. I don't get out to you. Putting your dick in the sink
Starting point is 01:55:33 is crazy. Keep your fucking dick in your pants, man. That's some borderline like We record over here. That's a mental issue, yo. That's dear. That's a lot to deal with.
Starting point is 01:55:41 Put your dick in the sink. I'm pissing outside. But anyway, back to my normal point. No, I'm going to bed. Yo, I walk by the bathroom in my house sometimes to go piss outside. That's crazy. That's sick.
Starting point is 01:55:52 The house is big. You're sick, though. You're sick. The house is big. But you just said you walk past the bathroom. You walk past the bathroom and go outside and piss? The right to get outside is shorter than the left to get to the bathroom. This nigga's crazy.
Starting point is 01:56:04 Am I lying? I don't know, man. You said past it. You got a bathroom in your bedroom. What are you talking about? I'm talking about on the first floor. The way the house is built, it should be more bathroom. I'm pissing outside.
Starting point is 01:56:14 The first floor bathroom. That's crazy. It's kind of rough. I can get outside 10 different ways quicker than I can get to that bathroom. That's valid. Yeah, no, that's true. That's valid. As long as you keep some sanitizer somewhere, I hope.
Starting point is 01:56:23 No, no, I don't. He just doing He go with the confidence Nah I don't He just doing What Brooklyn and Harlem do Go right to they spots Oh man
Starting point is 01:56:35 Yo Joe Brooklyn and Harlem Squad same time It might be time To say goodbye to Harlem man No Nah don't say that Don't tell me that
Starting point is 01:56:41 Yeah Yeah it's fucked up Oh man Seriously Not my dog Harlem Not my dog Harlem has had Four different surgeries Don't say that. Don't tell me that. Yeah. Yeah, it's fucked up. Oh, man. Seriously. Not my dog. Not my dog. All of them has had four different surgeries, and now that shit is just all over the place. Now it's just not in that one.
Starting point is 01:56:56 It's on his hip. It's underneath him. Had my dog for like 15 years, and I'm going to cry more than when some family has passed. He's 15 though? That's a good long life. He's 15. I just feel like I feel like I could give him another surgery but you don't want to see your dog die. You're not doing that.
Starting point is 01:57:17 As someone who's had a dog pass in the house that shit is, go do the right thing. But the right thing is going to kill your dog yes it is right if he's in pain yeah if he's suffering
Starting point is 01:57:28 that shit is as best as he's in pain when the dog is sitting in the crib howling for weeks that shit is crazy oh he's not there yet yeah
Starting point is 01:57:35 that's crazy oh he got another year before that listen you might need to put the gap band back on from the top from the top
Starting point is 01:57:44 from the top from the top from the top god damn it yo black people outstanding to make this shit, you're going to be, I got you fucked up. I got at least another four summers to be. Yo, yo, black people outstanding to make anything better, man. Oh,
Starting point is 01:58:10 all right. I didn't even mean to talk about Harlem. I have one last, well, Rory brought up an interesting topic that I thought
Starting point is 01:58:18 fit into our gender war discussion pretty well, or gender war segment. And that was, what happened tell me Roy with the insecure shit
Starting point is 01:58:27 yeah I forgot two characters on Insecure ended up having a kid together that they announced this past week and it had me thinking what people's policy about fucking
Starting point is 01:58:37 their co-workers are because they have to do another season you never worked in the restaurant business yes I have when I was bus boy when I was 15 a lot of fucking worked in the restaurant business? Yes, I have. When I was a busboy when I was 15.
Starting point is 01:58:47 A lot of fucking gold in the restaurant business. Now, I may look at this differently. If you're the bartender, you're fucking the waitress. Because you guys all have jobs that aren't specific to sitting in an office next to a woman. And I will tell you, I've never been to prison,
Starting point is 01:59:05 but I do know everyone starts to look way better in your office when you're there all the time. That's true. So you don't know. Well, actually, no, you do. You're a complex for a little while.
Starting point is 01:59:17 And some of them was cuter than they really were. If you give it six to eight months, you start looking a little different at them, a year come around, yeah, I might try to fuck. Give it six to eight months, you start looking a little different at them. A year come around, yeah, I might try to fuck. Mo, you ever go through that where you got to end up
Starting point is 01:59:31 fucking a bitch from the block? Like this bitch. The trap queen? One of the chicks that be chopping up for you. They could be fucking the baggy. Wait. Fuck that man Wait
Starting point is 01:59:47 The mule Fucking the mule When you finish bagging Just beep me I'm all still got a beeper That's funny I would be very I would be very afraid
Starting point is 01:59:59 To fuck my co-worker It can't end well Nah I can't see of a scenario I was about to say What's worse Fucking your co-worker Or your neighbor Neighbor is worse my coworker? It can't end well. Nah. I can't see of a scenario. I live in your building, man. I was about to say, what's worse, fucking your coworker
Starting point is 02:00:07 or your neighbor? Neighbor's worse. Yeah, you can't play like that at all. Nah, not at all. The problem with the coworkers... I don't know, that's your life.
Starting point is 02:00:15 Nah. No, no, no. HR gave you the fuck out of you. Hey, young G's, young G's out there, if you listen to me, please do not ever be intimate with your neighbor
Starting point is 02:00:25 Never make the block hot Literally Unless you want to move soon Oh yeah then it's all bets on Then you gotta tag it And ask her to help you pack Yeah word Yeah fucking the neighbor no but
Starting point is 02:00:36 Fucking your co-worker right That would only be scary to me Because I feel like I feel like I'd be the nigga That'd end up cheating on his work wife I'd be the nigga to end up cheating on his work wife. I would be the nigga to walk into a situation at work having nothing to do with my real wife. So I just wouldn't do it. And I will say, offices do happy hours a lot, especially in the summer.
Starting point is 02:00:57 Oh, yeah. Don't let- Holiday parties? Oh, yeah. That's what happened. The whole world is alcoholics now. Trust me. Every corporate job I had, Thursday, Friday, Tuesday,
Starting point is 02:01:06 there's an open bar somewhere with your coworkers. In New York, a lot of these offices have bars in them now. My coworkers tell me, yo, at my job, they just keep drinking. Everywhere, they go city to city. There's 5,000 people, they just won't stop. That's a festival. That's something y'all do. That was a good one.
Starting point is 02:01:24 Give yourself a... Yeah, come on, man. That was good. What should I do? Like a drum hit? Yeah, that's cool. I'll take it. But temptation is there.
Starting point is 02:01:33 And all the necessary things to tempt you are also there. Yeah, no, I'm not fucking my coworker. I'm not doing it. Or neighbor. Bad. Parks, you never fucked a singer that you was recording? No, that's one of the old school fucking music business moves, is bring the girl through to the studio that you're trying to fuck,
Starting point is 02:01:54 even though she can't sing. Stevie J's only been doing it for 20 years, and not one has caught on. Everyone has been doing that for fucking 100 years. Stevie J's been doing it on cameras. And Rich. Rich has just been managing all this pussy. Yeah, Rich Dollaz got a docker.
Starting point is 02:02:07 Oh, they kicked off. I love Rich Dollaz. That's my guy. They kicked Tommy off of Loving Hip Hop. I know we were all over the place, but we were on Loving Hip Hop shit. I don't watch the season, but I did like her when I did watch. They kicked her off last night for attacking security or some shit. Is she real?
Starting point is 02:02:21 And I had a brief conversation with her at the Mondrian in Miami. She was pretty cool. She seems cool. Gave her some real good therapy. She's attractive too. I'm the guy that just walks up to people offering therapy.
Starting point is 02:02:34 That's part of your swag. I have never spoken to Tommy before in my life. And the one time I happened to be next to her at a Mondrian bar, I'm talking about therapy.
Starting point is 02:02:44 She probably walked away like, that nigga's crazy. I don't know Mondrian bar I'm talking about therapy she probably walked away like that nigga's crazy and I'm like what the fuck is that nigga talking about right first of all if Tommy think you're crazy
Starting point is 02:02:51 you gotta take that out I think a few people think I'm crazy that I don't really feel I have the right to think I'm crazy to say you're crazy yeah yeah
Starting point is 02:02:58 yeah honestly alright let me see what else is here new Cardi video for I Like It how do y'all feel important is she gonna be pregnant cause that'll be the cool roll out for the kids it's out Cardi video for I Like It. How do y'all feel? Important? Is she going to be pregnant?
Starting point is 02:03:05 Yeah. Because that'll be the cool rollout for the kids. It's out already. What? The video, I Like It. Oh, is it? Yeah.
Starting point is 02:03:10 Is she a mother? No, I'm saying, did they focus on that in the video? I didn't watch it. Oh, all right. What the fuck? Why are you bringing it up?
Starting point is 02:03:19 Because I'm telling you it's out. I'm telling you it came out. I saw the snippet. She wasn't showing that. She was wearing poofy dresses. Okay. I thought they were going to make her The cool mom in the video That's what I would've done
Starting point is 02:03:29 What y'all think about We got Roseanne out of here Oh A few hours ago I'm hitting a fucking round of applause button Hitting a round of applause button That was real That was great
Starting point is 02:03:43 That was great I'm really happy about that for those that don't know Roseanne woke up and sent a very racist tweet to someone who worked on
Starting point is 02:03:53 Barack Obama administration Sylvain pull up the young lady's name so I can be accurate here so she said something that was in relation to
Starting point is 02:04:02 black people and apes and planet apes or some shit like that again. It was Valerie Jarrett. Valerie Jarrett is the young lady. Do we have the tweet that she said? She probably deleted that shit. Well, she definitely deleted the tweet, but once you hit send, it's in the universe.
Starting point is 02:04:21 She tweeted, Muslim Brotherhood and Planet of the Apes had a baby equals VJ. She said what? She said, Muslim Brotherhood and Planet of the Apes had a baby equals VJ. The young lady's initials. Yeah, well, that's what I got to ask out of you. Peace out, bro.
Starting point is 02:04:42 I think that's a pretty good warrant to fuck out of here. So as soon as she tweeted that Wanda Sykes removed herself from working on the show, and I thought that would be the end of the fallout, but shortly after ABC announced the cancellation of the show, that was shocking to me that they acted so quickly. Yeah, they're trying to get some stripes back for how they did What's Her Name on ESPN. Yeah, but they rolled the show some stripes back for how they did. What's her name? Yeah. Yeah. But they rolled the show out. They rolled the show out as the kind of right wing thing as that.
Starting point is 02:05:11 And I'm not saying that that should give Roseanne a pass to really behave that way in real life. What I'm saying is her. No. What I'm saying is because that's her in real life. what I'm saying is because that's her in real life the fact that she tweeted this so comfortably I feel she
Starting point is 02:05:29 felt comfortable tweeting that because some people in ABC feel the same way it's just now that you tweeted it we have to reprimand you because you can't do that in public exactly is ABC the same network that Nick Cannon had his shit with?
Starting point is 02:05:46 Yeah. It is, right? America's Got Talent? I'm saying whatever that thing was where he had a deal, then he did a stand-up on Netflix and he dissed... No, it wasn't ABC. It was NBC because it says... Oh, no, no, no.
Starting point is 02:06:00 It was ABC. Anything But Colored is what he said. Anything But Colored is what Nick Cannon said on his Netflix special. And Nick Cannon, that nigga Quickman. Nick Cannon don't give a fuck. Nick Cannon is paid. He's not short of work. Nick Cannon is not short of work or income.
Starting point is 02:06:17 He probably appreciated it. Or women. He gets something off my plate. And Mariah Carey is his baby's mother's. Yeah, that is true. I don't know if that's a stat still. What? Yeah.
Starting point is 02:06:28 If we talking finances. Mariah Carey? Just let Christmas roll around. That's a stat. I take it back. What the fuck am I talking about? That's a stat. God damn it.
Starting point is 02:06:38 I don't know what type of money Puff gave you, but. All right. No, this is what I meant to ask. That is a stat. Is Nick a stat for her? It was... It should be. It was...
Starting point is 02:06:49 It should be. It was unexpected. I would have never put them two together. It was very random. That was just unusual. Nick is a real cool dude, though. No, but that's what I'm saying. I'm not shocked that he was bad.
Starting point is 02:07:01 He's successful. You know what I mean? Nick is top five on that sniper list, too. Oh, yeah. Wait, what was our top five sniper list? Nah, we got to redo that. We redoing that list. There was some names on there that got to go.
Starting point is 02:07:15 For sure. But there was some names that will remain. Don't get it twisted. There's some names that they're still heavy out here. Joe just trying to get his name off it. I'm not on there. And if I am, I'm not talking about it. Let's move on then.
Starting point is 02:07:31 Yeah, you fucking right. So Roseanne tweeted. Put it right back on Roseanne. Yeah, fuck out of here. Now, what else is there? Let me see here. Morgan Freeman being nasty. Oh, my goodness gracious.
Starting point is 02:07:44 Jesus. Morgan Freeman's a nasty Oh my goodness gracious Jesus Morgan Freeman's a nasty old man I don't believe it Shit Can someone give the back story exactly what he did He gave compliments to women No that's not true I'm not doing that I'm not going to allow you to do it
Starting point is 02:07:59 He told a woman that she looked great In that one particular instance It's too many recorded instances. Let me protect you. It's recorded instances of him being a creep verbally. Like that, who was it? E, I think, put out like a whole montage of it. So we can't even
Starting point is 02:08:15 joke and protect him. Either way, why did everyone forget he was dating his granddaughter? Like he's a creep. Wait, what? Morgan Freeman was dating his granddaughter. What? He was intimate dating his granddaughter. What? He was intimate with his granddaughter. What? I don't give a fuck what it is. Hold on. Let me look at Savon real quick.
Starting point is 02:08:34 Savon, how do you feel about your fifth cousins? Let me really get into you. You all right? We are aware of the details. Guess what, Savon? We're not changing our mind. You cannot fuck your granddaughter or your step-granddaughter.
Starting point is 02:08:53 Oh, all right, good. Round of applause for Savon. I didn't know that. He trying to save his podcast. Oh, give Morgan Freeman the fuck out of here. Yeah, peace out, bro. Yeah, that's what I'm saying. Morgan Freeman really is like a nasty old man
Starting point is 02:09:05 separate crib next to the crib so he could fuck the grandma and the granddaughter yeah what the fuck Morgan Freeman and then women have the nerve to call me like weird i've done none of this in my lifetime i've never even thought about doing any it never would yeah but never oh you don't have any great you don't have Morgan Freeman money and Morgan Freeman I have done none of this in my lifetime. I never even thought about doing any of it. You never would. Yeah, but. Never. You don't have any grandkids. You don't have Morgan Freeman money and you don't have grandkids. Yeah, but still, it's like, what the.
Starting point is 02:09:32 You have kids, period. That's nasty. All right, so Morgan Freeman has issued a statement. And if you guys have a minute, I would like to read it to you if he put it in audio version i think we'd be on his side he should have recorded it that's what i'm saying i got to get him and james earl jones out of here so i could be the new voiceover guy let's hear it all right here we go morgan freeman says and i quote damn now i feel guilty for i used to want morgan fre Freeman's voice as my GPS.
Starting point is 02:10:07 I still want Morgan Freeman's voice as my GPS. Nah, I shouldn't have you going to the, to your granddaughter's house. Let's just do the podcast for free forever. All right, here we go. Morgan Freeman says, and I quote, I am devastated that 80 years of my life is at risk of being undermined. In the blink of an eye by Thursday's media reports. He's only 80? Nah, that's his industry age.
Starting point is 02:10:34 That's his rapper age. That's how old he was when Shawshank came out. He's 80 in dog years. Hey, let me give you a little drum hit. That was a good one. Oh, come on. Turn the drum hit up all right all victims of assault and harassment deserve to be heard and we need to listen to them thanks morgan but it is not right to equate horrific incidents of sexual assault with misplaced compliments or humor.
Starting point is 02:11:07 I admit that I am someone who feels the need to try to make women and men feel appreciated and at ease around me. Let's pause for a second. Why is Morgan Freeman trying to make women and men feel at ease around him? He's a creep. He's nasty. All right, let's get back to it. As a part of that, I would often try to joke with and compliment women in what I thought was a
Starting point is 02:11:41 lighthearted and humorous way. Let me interject to say that I think E or E.T. or one of them somewhere has a clip of a young lady sitting down across from Morgan Freeman in a dress. And Morgan Freeman commenting about how it's interesting that young women sit across from him wearing dresses with barely anything covering between their knees and their vagina that's out it's doc he said it it's it's out it's on its video the thing is a creep you're not you're nasty morgan morgan is nasty i never trusted his freckles his freckles were different than other people's freckles. He says, clearly, I was not always coming across the way I intended. And that is why I apologize Thursday and will continue to apologize to anyone I might have upset, however, unintentionally. But I also want to be clear. I did not create unsafe work environments. I did not create unsafe work environments.
Starting point is 02:12:46 I did not assault women. I did not offer employment or advancement in exchange for sex. Any suggestion that I did so is completely false. End quote. That sounds exactly to me like a nasty pervert creep. Listen, if he would have done that in the audio version, I would have believed him. You cannot sleep with your granddaughter and issue this type of statement. You can't sleep with your granddaughter.
Starting point is 02:13:17 He never denied that. Now, Morgan Freeman is still working. Are you taking shit off Netflix yet? No, he hasn't gone through that yet. I assume it's coming this week yeah it's coming listen man see ya buddy
Starting point is 02:13:28 if they take lean on me off Netflix I'm gonna be mad do you watch it often hmm do you watch lean on me often
Starting point is 02:13:35 yeah every chance I get it's one of my favorite movies 14 women come forward man you did that shit it's hard to say. You know how long two weeks is?
Starting point is 02:13:47 Yeah, that's crazy. 14 days. That's a lot of testimony. That's a lot of people. Yeah. Sorry, Morgan. You're done, kiddo. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:13:54 He had a hell of a run. He lived to be 200. Listen, as Bill Burr says, you can live too long. Yeah. Yeah. This one hurts. They can know these niggas out here. Fuck these niggas. Yeah. This one hurts. They can know
Starting point is 02:14:06 all these niggas out here. Fuck these niggas. Yeah. But oh well. Morgan, you're out of here. And you fucked the girl to be bad enough. He had a long career.
Starting point is 02:14:14 He was here for a while. Like 150 years. All right, now I just Now I just got to worry about James Earl Jones and I'll get my voice out there. James Earl Jones. Got him coming to the podium next.
Starting point is 02:14:25 I'm just saying, there's only two niggas that got the voice game on lock. Chill, man. Knock on wood. I want to get out there and have you ever heard or whatever the fuck
Starting point is 02:14:33 you're talking about. The guy from Keeping It Real Goes Wrong from Chappelle's show, he was in, what was his name? He's in Mad Movies. I need more than that.
Starting point is 02:14:42 Yeah. Donnell Rawlings. No. I don't think he's a voice actor. What was his name? He was in mad movies. I need more than that. Yeah. Donnell Rawlings. No. I don't think he's the voiceover. What was his name? He was in mad movies. Parks would be a great taboo player. Charlie Murphy?
Starting point is 02:14:52 Oh, wait, no. Here's a question that they asked during the cookout that I thought was interesting, and I'll just ask you guys. Jodeci versus New Edition. I hate getting caught up in those R&B group battles, but I thought that this was a pretty fair question. My answer was which New Edition? Yeah, I was about to say.
Starting point is 02:15:13 And then Rory just said whatever New Edition. No, I said their whole discography, both. With Johnny, with Bobby, New Edition as a whole. Which is a cheat code. You can't say both because those are two totally different discography. New Edition is more impactful, I think. Yeah. New Edition.
Starting point is 02:15:29 But I also hate that argument, too. Because it's like, yeah, KRS-One fathered shit, but I don't put... It's not my top five. They also have jams, though. Well, I said New Edition. Yeah, New Edition, probably. I would say. I was by myself.
Starting point is 02:15:45 Everyone else said Jodeci Nah So Because New Edition I think it was They made so many Different types of music Yeah they went from Kitty popcorn shit
Starting point is 02:15:56 To all the way Yeah like it was It was the dance You know they would They were dancing They were rapping They were singing They were doing jack swings
Starting point is 02:16:03 They were way more talented Than Jodeci. They did a lot of range. Damn. Yeah. Where were y'all on Monday when I was getting killed? No, no addition to the show. That nigga said they were way more talented than Jodeci.
Starting point is 02:16:15 Yeah, I mean, as a group, I'm not talking about as songwriters. Let's see if you feel that way after the biopic. I mean. Jodeci, you know how these kids feel about biopics. Yeah, no. It changes everything. Yeah, it changes everything. I'm just talking as far. You know how these kids feel about biopics. Yeah, no. It changes everything. Yeah, it changes everything. I'm just talking as far as the group, as far as music.
Starting point is 02:16:28 I'm not talking about anything else other than the group and their talents. All right. Jodeci kind of started, well, I don't know if started, but the Thug NB shit, which I wish would come back. Not gang banging R&B, but like Thug NB. Like just a lot of leather. Yeah. I would snuff push if you started talking about my mom and all this shit. I'm a lot of leather. Yeah. I would snuff push
Starting point is 02:16:45 if he started talking about my mom and all this shit. I'm not off of that. I can't believe it. My head would be exploding. My head is
Starting point is 02:16:52 I can't get off of this thing. I'm pretty sure Drake feels the same way right now. Well when I heard Drake's reply my head was exploding
Starting point is 02:16:59 so I DM'd him. I said shit. He said shrugs. Wait, he said shrugs? Or something shrug emoji? No, it was the shrug emoji. Was it the actual emoji or the old school one where it's like parentheses and all that shit? No, no, it was the guy.
Starting point is 02:17:18 Was it yellow or was it black? Do it. Huh? Do it. Do it. What's up? What's up What's up my nigga I mean whatever Any nigga that does this
Starting point is 02:17:29 I like my chances Any nigga that does this I like my chances I'm telling you what Drake did I know but It was an emoji like this I know yeah But don't do that again
Starting point is 02:17:37 In my presence You asked me to do it I wanted to see If you was gonna really do it Both y'all got your Athletic bathing suits on today Y'all came to scrap Okay get your shit on bro I'm just I'm just saying It could happen do it. Both y'all got your athletic bathing suits on today. Y'all came to scrap.
Starting point is 02:17:46 Okay, get your shit over. I'm just saying. It could happen. Y'all in the spirits to do it. It's going to be mad scuff. Athletic bathing suits. It's going to be mad scuff knees. Mad scuff knees. All right. New question for you guys. Now that I've had a little bit of time to think about this.
Starting point is 02:18:07 The artwork for the Drake disc from Pusha is blackface, and he's a Kanye artist. This is getting confusing to me. It's going to be an interesting thing to watch play out. Yeah, but I don't want to hear a rap beef embroiled in double standards. You're signed to blackface. You are actively signed to blackface and you are taking instruction from blackface. You can call it performance art if you want. I'm calling it what the fuck it is, which is blackface.
Starting point is 02:18:43 Now, that don't mean that Drake could not be blackface too but I don't know this is a different beef it's gonna be real interesting to play out predict the beef to me and let's get out of here well on that specific topic
Starting point is 02:19:02 we've only spent 90 hours on it who comes out of this alive this is a real bad time for all these accusations uh on both sides not really for push i guess because he dropped his album already push was going to do his 60 000 no matter what didn't change a thing i think uh drake's in for a tough double-headed monster pause but drake's. But Drake's numbers... If Scorpion's good, though, it's not going to matter. All this goes away if Scorpion is great.
Starting point is 02:19:29 And that's where I'm going to just disagree maybe a little bit, Rory, because I agree with you. But what if Kanye and all that shit is good, too? I'm not going to listen to Kanye shit, so I wouldn't know. I agree. But I do think that Push and Kanye have some type of double team pause, a plant for Drake. This freestyle over that beat with these accusations, you don't make these accusations, these claims without being prepared to go further. There's one thing I'm thinking about through all of this.
Starting point is 02:20:10 I'm afraid that through this, we're going to see how the industry, rappers, certain producers really feel about Drake. Well, I think we're going to find out who really likes Drake as a person and who's ready to get him the fuck out of here. We haven't been found that out? Not really. I think this is going to be very apparent. I'm not sure that he's got boy wonder in 40. I'm not sure that he needs, what does he need? I'm not saying Drake needs, I'm just saying.
Starting point is 02:20:38 People that you see Drake with at times, hanging out, done records with, verses here. Well, we know some niggas don't fuck with Drake, they claim to. And I think this is, we're going to see that, but I think Drake is way too calculated, man. I don't see him not coming out of this looking good. Like, I think he's going to be just fine.
Starting point is 02:20:53 He's way too calculated. I think he secretly has walked around and he knows that people don't really fuck with him like that. So I think he's prepared for everybody to jump out
Starting point is 02:21:03 of somewhere and come at him. Yeah, I think his popularity prepared for everybody to jump out of somewhere and come at him yeah I think his popularity no matter what if the music stays consistent he'll have no problems we all might still remember Drake taking an L
Starting point is 02:21:14 in a battle but then also people are going to say it was Pusha T though right that's another thing that the fallback will be alright but it was Pusha T
Starting point is 02:21:22 you can lose the fight and win the war they said that about Joe Budden because Joe Budden was too nice and too insignificant, and he's too smart. I'm not even saying that insignificant shit. Those are three too many twos.
Starting point is 02:21:33 Well, you can't say that about Push because he's next to someone who's dominant in music, which is Kanye. That's why Push dodges a lot of the irrelevant, insignificant shit because his camp is not. Yeah, of course.
Starting point is 02:21:43 Right. And a lot of our favorite parts of Kanye's music is not yeah of course right and a lot of our favorite parts of kanye's music as of late have been when pusher comes on but you can only beat drake i've been saying this for a while and i think you can only beat him in totality so while many people in hip-hop would say that drake lost the meek battle the after effects that all of the meek allegations left on drake probably helped in the war then drake and me go back and forth for a second now there's push there's probably we could probably think of 15 rappers that could beat drake i mean and the perception that comes with drake maybe not one that could beat him and what i'm just saying, when you have to think of all the different areas that Drake is dominant in,
Starting point is 02:22:31 it goes back to checking off all of the boxes that I was talking about earlier. So we could think of a group of rappers that could probably attack him at different times and do some shit like the Avengers with Thanos, right? It's going to be pretty tough to think of one person that could do any damage to his career. Yeah, I think that this one, you know, with Push, it definitely has put a different lens on Drake at the moment. But let's get to the business for two seconds, and this is all just hypothesizing.
Starting point is 02:23:09 two seconds and this is all hyper i mean this is all just hypothesizing um i like the way that that everything is intermingled and what i mean is drake and jay throw subs at each other for however long while drake is with apple, Hov is with Tidal. Kanye comes in and basically spills the beans saying that Apple needs to cut a check to Tidal, which said to me that Tidal was negotiating with Apple to be bought out,
Starting point is 02:23:36 which further explained to me why Drake and Hov were throwing subs for so long. Now here we are, Drake and Push, and I won't waste everybody's time but same beef same beef all intermingled just another participant taking the stand and telling their version of what what took place so this beef is interesting to me because like maul said people will have to be true to their alliances and true to who they're not aligned with like you will have to showcase that we'll have to see it
Starting point is 02:24:10 you can't hide behind it in this particular beef yeah that's why that's that's the one thing i'm looking forward to because i i just it just feels like this is where it's headed you know i mean like people are going to get pulled into this. Names are going to start being thrown around. I mean, what pushed his response was he took it to the next level of disrespect, probably the highest level of disrespect. And now it's on
Starting point is 02:24:38 Drake. I think he's way too calculated and way too his ability. You have him addressing this win this week? For sure. Parks? Yeah.
Starting point is 02:24:51 Rory? Yeah. The next 24 hours, possibly. I say Friday, he replies. Savant? Same time he did the last one. This week? Yeah.
Starting point is 02:25:00 I'm in as well. I'm in as well. I got Saturday afternoon Roots picnic Is Saturday afternoon as well Which I'm gonna go to I'm supposed to go He invited me
Starting point is 02:25:14 Oh you're going I'll see you there I'm supposed to go Okay He invited me Oh we could carpool I'm not carpooling with you Don't carpool at 38
Starting point is 02:25:23 You can use the carpool lane though I'm done with you Rory Save gas Relax TLC Come in like DMX Alright real quick A couple of quick tidbits Before we get the fuck out of here
Starting point is 02:25:36 Bryson Tiller says that He's got a new album Coming this summer And it's gonna sound more Like the summertime Cause he's happy And in a summertime mode Neat
Starting point is 02:25:44 Good for Bryson I hope it's good I hope it's not just a remake is going to sound more like the summertime because he's happy and in a summertime mode. Neat. Good for Bryson. I hope it's good. I hope it's not just a remake of all the summer records that Drake sings on. If it's not good, we can wrap him up. Right? We can put him in Rice. I mean, I hate to say it.
Starting point is 02:26:00 Because Bryson's on RCA, right? I like him, too. But RCA is chock full of nothing but R&B talent that's winning. Yeah. Bryson cannot afford two duds back-to-back on RCA. They'll cut their ties, cut their losses. Absolutely, yeah. But we're rooting for him, so good luck to Bryson.
Starting point is 02:26:16 I wonder who he's working with. Boy Wonder, I'm sure. Okay. Because I was curious. I wonder how their music relationship was after that. I wonder if Bryson Regret's not signing OVO. I still think it was a better move going with RCA. Marlon, I'm going to ask you where Party is every week.
Starting point is 02:26:35 Why? Because I'm a Party fan, and I would like to hear new music from Party. I don't know where Party is. Somewhere right in some hits. I'm going to text Party. You're going to text? I'm going to text Party. King Lo in... I'm a text party. You don't text? I'm a text party. King Lose is...
Starting point is 02:26:48 Industry, man. I like it. No, I like it. I'm not industry, man. Don't do that. I think it's good that you're reaching out. I want to make sure he's all right. We ain't heard a song.
Starting point is 02:26:56 We ain't heard an interview. We ain't heard shit. We ain't heard nothing. No news is good news sometimes. He's probably working. King Lose is battling. That is all I have to say there. I don't know who he's battling.
Starting point is 02:27:08 That ain't going to be good for somebody. But yeah, I would assume that it's going to be bad for somebody. Los has been wanting to do this for a few years. I know he told me this in 2013, 14. So somebody's got a long day ahead of them. Yeah. And Banks made some mention of wanting to battle rap. I don't know how that would go
Starting point is 02:27:27 just because Banks is so dope of a studio rapper. He's so reserved and not animated. Yeah, he ain't about to get all into the theatrics and all of that. Everyone's going to have to be really quiet to hear his verse. That's pretty funny. I think that was it for the tidbits.
Starting point is 02:27:44 Oh, the finals. Yeah, they're here. Maul, let's say... What happened to LeBron? Maul, yeah, come on, Maul. Let's say if LeBron does pull this off, hypothetically, I don't care if you don't think he can, are you revisiting that conversation
Starting point is 02:27:54 of where LeBron is in that top three? No. If he wins against the Golden State Warriors with this team, no. Maul hanging around too many NBA players, which is the only reason he in there talking about Kareem. I think Maul didn't even have LeBron in his top three. I'm not putting Kareem ahead of LeBron.
Starting point is 02:28:15 I'm just not doing it. I get the sky hook. I saw the headband. It was iconic. And the dragon. Not doing it. No, the whole thing came from people just, I'm just tired of people saying he's better than Mike.
Starting point is 02:28:29 I don't get how people feel like that. All right, well, give me your thoughts on this final. I don't care about that. Thoughts on who's going to win? Golden State. Just your thoughts, period. It's the fourth time we're seeing it. Yeah, fourth time we're seeing it.
Starting point is 02:28:40 What are you expecting? You expecting something new, something different? Nah, it's Golden State. Iguodala's not there. Does it matter? How many games? Five. I got Golden State in six.
Starting point is 02:28:53 Nah, the NBA is not letting this end in five. It's going seven. Six or seven. No. Listen, I said the same thing when LeBron won it that year. But it went six last year? I was going to say, it might have went five last year. That was a quick wrap-up. It went five last year? Yeah, and to say, it might have went five last year. That was a quick wrap-up. It went five last year?
Starting point is 02:29:06 Yeah, and that's because Kyrie was out there bowling. He doesn't have that luxury. Last year, Golden State looked amazing. This year, they don't look that good. And how does Cleveland look this year? Horrible. Right. But LeBron looks...
Starting point is 02:29:17 LeBron looks like a robot. One of the greatest ever. But I don't think that they... Seven? I just think Adam Silver is going to make this thing Go to six or seven He can try it We're not ending in five He can try it
Starting point is 02:29:29 But you can't stop that ball From going through the hoop You've been wrong all playoffs No I haven't You had LeBron losing every round I had them losing Definitely had them losing Toronto
Starting point is 02:29:40 And Boston And who they play in the first round Indiana Indiana You had them losing I said if I said if he loses that Toronto and Boston. And who they play in the first round? Indiana. You had to lose that one. I said if he loses that. A lot of people had the Pacers beating the Cavs. That wasn't like a hot take. Bria fucked that one up.
Starting point is 02:29:56 I don't know what Bria did. Bria was supposed to bring it home. Yeah, but I think this is five. Hey, real quick. Now that we on it, we getting out of here soon, Yeah but I think This is five Five again Hey real quick Now that we on it We getting out of here soon But I ain't gonna lie man
Starting point is 02:30:09 Let me get a round of applause There's a few of y'all Y'all ladies out there That got y'all summer lipo going A few niggas too Just keeping it real I thought it was Keep it real Wednesdays
Starting point is 02:30:23 I mean It's not keep it real Wednesdays It's Tuesday Well it's Wednesday When it comes out Yeah My niggas out there Getting that shit done
Starting point is 02:30:30 Kanye just told us he did You think he's the only one You think he's the first You think he broke the mold No he's not the first He didn't break the mold Yeah Niggas is getting
Starting point is 02:30:39 They summer body That was a double entendre too Niggas is definitely Getting they summer body He was molded For real Anyways That's it
Starting point is 02:30:55 All that molded Break the mold shit Let's just get some gab in And ease the style Let's leave Leave on a right note here. I do want to read this little excerpt from Medium, who wrote a really fantastic article about our podcast,
Starting point is 02:31:12 but I do just want to touch on this one paragraph that I think we should change to our bio. No, we're not. Each episode, there's a rough list of topics Budden leads them through, but there's no pre-production meetings and no one does any research. As a result,
Starting point is 02:31:26 some segments are four grown men turning aggressively loud and wrong without basic facts a simple Google search could clear up. Yeah. Yeah. That's the premise of our podcast. She hit that on the head.
Starting point is 02:31:41 That was great writing. Yeah, no. I want to hire her for future work. I like it I want her to write us up again yeah I think that's going to be the new description on SoundCloud
Starting point is 02:31:49 and you didn't we don't have the young lady's name right in front of us but I tweeted her shout out to her this was an amazingly written article
Starting point is 02:31:56 one partly because I'm a narcissist but it was a great article and two that's part of the the flair of the podcast oh i don't think she was saying in a negative way i'm just explaining it to some other people yeah
Starting point is 02:32:12 she definitely wrote that like this is why this is great and she definitely said you are the person that she least wants to hear from on woman issues which i thought was ill how she picked that up considering i thought we edited out all your woman issue takes what women issues nothing nothing nothing lebron is dope she kind of snitched on us too she was like i know when they punch in when they've taken it too far parks is trash she's supposed to cover that up i know when they punch in. Everybody here has the Warriors one, right? Yes. Well, I do.
Starting point is 02:32:47 I don't know the rest of the room. Yeah, I have Warriors. He think LeBron gonna get it done. I wanna see LeBron get it done too. If you know, you know.
Starting point is 02:32:55 If you wear the dad hat backwards, you definitely like LeBron. I know what's gonna happen. I've noticed that. If what? If you wear your dad hat backwards,
Starting point is 02:33:02 you're definitely a big LeBron fan. Oh shit, Savon is wearing a dad hat backwards. I've observed that. Doesn't look If you wear your dad hat backwards, you're definitely a big LeBron fan. Oh shit, Savon is wearing a dad hat backwards. I've observed that. Doesn't look bad on him. No, it works.
Starting point is 02:33:09 I can't wear a dad hat at all. Well, you are a dad. I know, but I can't wear a dad hat. So you wearing a hat could very well just be a dad hat. Oh my God, my fucking oldest son calls me yesterday or the day before.
Starting point is 02:33:22 Right? And he says, Pop, I know it's last minute, but I've been asked to the prom. That's an air horn? Yeah, man. Hey, a round of applause for my baby. Broke up.
Starting point is 02:33:38 He finally broke up with his girlfriend that wouldn't let him break up with her. That's always rough. Good lesson in life, though. He tried to break up with her. She's always rough. Good lesson in life, though. He tried to break up with her. She said no. Right, it's not happening. But he found a way.
Starting point is 02:33:50 And now he's getting invited to the prom by bitches. That's how it goes. Stop calling 16-year-old girls bitches. I'm joking, of course. She loves Joe's issues on women, though. She gave him a great write-up. I get thrown under the bus. No, she said I'm bad, too. Okay. I only say the word bitches because it's funny. I don't actually think of women like that. was on women though like she gave him a great write up I get thrown under the bus no no
Starting point is 02:34:05 she said I'm bad too okay I only say the word bitches cause it's funny I don't actually think of women like that no no that started a good topic
Starting point is 02:34:12 what we talking about prom fucking at the cookout yeah if you was a cookout no I was asking niggas if they ever fucked after the prom
Starting point is 02:34:21 because I was trash I was trash like the peer pressure and all my friends were trying to get me to fuck after the prom because I was trash. I was trash. Like, the peer pressure and all my friends were trying to get me to fuck after the prom, but I didn't have any game. I wasn't prepared for that type of experience. So, I was trying to tell the limo driver to bust a left.
Starting point is 02:34:34 She was like, nah, you can take me home. Nah, nah, nah. Bust a right. No, no, a right and a right. And Roosevelt is right there. First house. I'll walk from here. First house right there.
Starting point is 02:34:46 I was like, dang, I was home mad. I think that sex after prom shit is only in movies. I don't think that's like a real thing.
Starting point is 02:34:52 I mean, I wouldn't know. I was home very early after the prom. I went to Checkers and that was it. I think most people are. I think most kids are.
Starting point is 02:34:58 Was your mom a little bit disappointed? No, no, no. He's home a little too early. No, no. She wasn't disappointed. No one got me a champ with cheese. The one right on commuter, Paul?
Starting point is 02:35:09 Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's a great checker. Yeah, man. That's a great checker. I got a milkshake, too. That shit be wild after midnight, though. Fuck this vagina. I would stay away from that checker.
Starting point is 02:35:18 Go eat this and watch ESPN rerun. Yeah, that is about all I'm going to do. But I'm really happy that my kid is going, And I'm happy that, wait, so now. He's graduating high school already? No, no, no, no, no. He'll be a senior next year. So this is a junior prom that he was invited to. I'm thinking I ain't really got to go crazy for the junior prom.
Starting point is 02:35:32 Nah. The junior prom, you could go get the rented tux. But no, I don't know if you've seen. Prom's different now. It's not what it used to be. It's a whole production. It's, yeah. Like, you can't have Trey look super trash.
Starting point is 02:35:43 No, that's fine. I already talked to Puff about it. If some chick come walking in on an elephant. I need the jet from Montclair to Jersey City.
Starting point is 02:35:51 I'm sure some of you got some... Where is it landing in Jersey City, Joe? That's a good question. On top of Snyder or some shit. Top of Snyder.
Starting point is 02:36:00 Oh, huh? Niggas ain't feeling me. They ain't hanging around Snyder. Dude, they're sleepers. I don't think I have a sleeper this week, actually. Oh, you trash. I should look. Let me see.
Starting point is 02:36:15 Gap band outstanding. Let me see what's going on here. After that push of shit, I don't even want to play R&B. I got to find a new sleeper. I ain't going to lie, man. I got to stop saying I ain't going to lie, man. And then lie? I don't lie after I say it.
Starting point is 02:36:35 I think that's the prefix to lying. It is a few things that liars say that they just don't know they say. No offense, bud. I say all of them. Oh, yeah, no offense, bud, is one of them. Or when the barber pulls the whole barbershop. Right or wrong? I'm right or wrong?
Starting point is 02:36:50 That's a liar thing, too. My barber comes to the crib. I don't know what you're talking about. Wealth. That's whack. Yo, I see the general public still trying to ignore the new Tiger record, and I don't know how I feel about it. Chill, play that, because that shit is kind of hard.
Starting point is 02:37:07 Actually, this might just be my sleeper. Fuck it. Yeah, it's my sleeper. It's the new Tiger record. This one is called Taste. I fuck with the song. I fuck with the video. I don't fuck with him, so I'm going to play it.

You hate him. That beat is hard. That beat is kind of crazy. Parks has some really interesting takes about the equalizer. The movie?
Starting point is 02:41:07 and Denzel you like the Equalizer though? yes I do you like action star Denzel? when did he turn into an action star? listen if I I dealt with Vin Diesel for years I'm not getting Denzel out of here what was he in training day? Starting point is 02:41:25 I'm not getting him out of here. I'm just saying that, like, damn. He does a lot of action movies. Yeah. He had 16 AKAs shoot him for five minutes, and he was still standing up smoking a cigarette. He was a superhero in fucking Training Day. I mean, but Training Day, yeah, that was action.
Starting point is 02:41:39 That was the start of it. That was the start of it. But I liked Equalizer. You didn't like Training Day? Yeah, it was a good movie. Any movie where the dude is tearing niggas up in Home Depot. That nigga was killing him with the two by four. John Q, he was a superhero for healthcare.
Starting point is 02:41:55 Listen, man. And then what's that other movie? I don't remember that he was working for the CIA. Oh, with the old boy. Last Man on the Train. I forgot what it was. Pelham 1, 2, 3. No, there was another one with the Van Wilder dude. Oh, yeah the old boy. Last man on the train. I forgot what it was. Pelham 123. No, there was another one
Starting point is 02:42:07 with the Van Wilder dude. Oh, yeah, and there was that one. He's got mad action. No, he was pussy in that one. He was pussy in that one. No, but he was the average working guy.

Starting point is 02:42:40 I told y'all Will Smith has some shit coming. I did. I did. All of this was a rollout to a Will album. some shit coming. I did. I did. All of this was a rollout to a Will album. Him taking over Instagram. His whole 20 years of that rap. No, this whole Instagram thing he's been on for an album. I feel guilty.
Starting point is 02:42:54 I'm watching the Will clip like, damn, he's got some Eminem cadence. I was analyzing it still. He might have a secret Pac verse that we don't know about either. Him and Jazzy Jeff might be getting back together. Yeah, I'm cool. Who got the next sleeper? Let's do it. I'm cool.
Starting point is 02:43:11 I was going to play this last week, but then her and Rapsy put out that really good song. I played this guy before. His name is Gallant. This is his new single, Gentleman. If it plays. Huh? You played this on the podcast? It's cool. Play it again. I like it.
Starting point is 02:43:29 I don't remember when you played it. My bad. I'm going to play some street shit. No, you don't. You could play some R&B shit and the world would be fine. Starting point is 02:48:15 so I don't doubt this one's going to be any different. Nah, I'm going to change the energy. You going to play Gatband? Nah, I wish. I wish I was playing Gatband. All right, now. Who's going to get the burnt hot dogs at the cookout? I'm going to play, just because I've been listening to this record a lot.

Starting point is 02:51:50 Drake thought he was just really saying an innocent punchline. That's what I'm trying to tell you. Ring on you. Just you're married, which means there's a ring there. Yeah. You're engaged, whatever it is. You know he was ring there. Yeah. You're engaged, whatever it is. He didn't know he was opening it up. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:52:10 I thought I was weird for not knowing who that was. Oh, I found out on Twitter. I didn't know this. I didn't know this. I had no idea. I thought it was a cigarette. I got it confused with Drake's drink that he was promoting. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 02:52:24 Virginia Black, right? Virginia Black, yeah. Yeah, but Twitter told me like they tell me everything else. Does Drake respond at the end of tomorrow's business day or today's business day? I still got him Friday. I got him Friday, too. If he responds, listen. No, he steps on Kanye this week.
Starting point is 02:52:43 Or does he wait to hear Kanye's response or his album, and then he responds on the weekend? Is there an OVO radio plan? He's got to go straight to Push, though. What are you talking about Kanye right now? Push just directly said, don't even mention Kanye. I'm talking to you. Well, no, I'm going home to kiss my child before I even get to Push.
Starting point is 02:53:03 After you said all that shit, we got to get to the shits. Yeah. Marissa just tagged me in something that I had nothing to do with, but whatever. I love when she does that. All right. Anything else before we get the fuck out of here? I feel like something is happening this weekend. Roots Picnic is this weekend.
Starting point is 02:53:22 Oh. I knew nothing about that. Yeah, it's Saturday the 2nd We're supposed to get a lot of heavy rain This week right? This week I think that's Thursday and Friday Coming down from Baltimore

Starting point is 02:54:55 Herb was circulating, let's get to the bottom of it. Told one to send me something and I got it covered. Somehow I always rise above it. Why you think I got my head in the clouds on my last album cover? The game is all mine and I'm mighty possessive Lil Wayne could not have found him a better successor Every shot you see him taking me, they're all contested Allen Iverson, Shudio, these niggas all in question Last night I went to sleep wanting more
Starting point is 02:55:16 Trying to decide what direction I should go towards Some nights I wish I could go back in life Not to change shit, just to feel a couple things twice 28 at midnight, wonder what's next for me Longevity, wonder how long to check for me Probably forever if I stay in my zone I speak on this generation but can't change it alone I heard a little, little homie talking reckless and vibe That's quite a platform you chose, you should've kept it inside
Starting point is 02:55:40 Oh you tried it so childish, calling my name on a world stage You need to act your age and not your girl's age It gets worse by the annual, my career's like a how-to manual So I guess it's understandable, man Oh you gotta love it, you gotta love it, yeah I know rappers that call Pablo Rossi to come and get him To show their outfits off, yes they need the attention I remember when it used to be music that did it
Starting point is 02:56:02 But then again, times have changed, man, who are we kidding? I'm managed by my friends that I grew up with I'd rather give that 15% to people I fuck with If me and Future hadn't made it with this rapping We'd probably be out in silicone trying to get our billions on But here we are, yeah Lately I feel that hate is eating away at my confidence They scream out my failures and whisper my accomplishments Bitches alter my messages like we have words And stories about my life hit the net like a bad serve bitter women
Starting point is 02:56:29 i'm over texting the pms and crazy this year fucking with my image i was trying to reach you so i could save him this year fuck it i guess i gotta wait till next year and i heard someone say something that stuck with me a lot about how we need protection from those protecting the block nobody looking out for nobody Maybe we should try and help somebody or be somebody Instead of being somebody that makes the news So everybody can tweet about it And then they start to RIP about it
Starting point is 02:56:55 And four weeks later nobody even speaks about it Damn, I just had to say my piece about it Oh, you gotta love it But they scared of the truth so back to me showing out in public That's's the hottest subject, I've been whipping Mercedes, the niggas try to budge it, I gotta make it back to Memphis and check on my cousins, shout out to Ashley, Taja, Bianca, Julia, Erica, Southern America, part of my heritage, part of my arrogance, part of my hair again, that's that comeback flow, comeback flow, once I start it's a parent, I'm with a girl who asks it so big that it's partly embarrassing But fuck all the blushing and fuck your discussions and fuck all the judgment
Starting point is 02:57:27 Your content's so aggressive lately, what's irking you? Shit is getting so personal and your verse is too I wanna prove that I'm number one over all these niggas Being number two is just being the first to lose My city dictating music, nobody seeing us Winner here already but somehow I'm heating up Been observing the game and feel like I've seen enough Let's drop a tape on these niggas then we'll
Starting point is 02:57:48 see what's up Yeah, boy you rapping like you've seen it all You rapping like the throne should be the three of y'all Best I ever had seems like a decade ago Decade and flow and I still got a decade to go Oh please take it easy Where's the love and the peace Why you rapping like you come from the streets I got a backyard but money seems to come from the trees and I'm never ever scared to get some blood on my leaves Phantom sliding like a shit just hit a puddle of grease. I cook the beef well done on the double with cheese Special order for anybody that's coming for me. Shit you probably flinch if somebody sneeze
Starting point is 02:58:19 You see they got me back talking like it's just 40 Ali and me Cutting all loose ends, I be the barber for free I'm almost at four minutes, going off on the beat Feel like I'm in the Malibu that had the claws on the seats, man Oh, you gotta love it, yeah And on top of that, it's getting harder to eat Rappers downgrading houses, putting cars on a lease To think labels said they have a problem marketing me And now it's everybody else, it's getting hard to believe
Starting point is 02:58:44 But man, oh oh you gotta love yeah they had the time product of it I know you girl well just not in public blame the city I'm a product of it young nigga from the city you gotta love it You gotta love it No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no,
