Starting point is 00:00:00 last few weeks we've started with aggression and it's been an aggressive Alright. Last few weeks we've started with aggression. And it's been an aggressive mood. I want to start nice. Nice, light and easy here. Some of y'all wasn't outside back then. I don't think I was outside back then. I wasn't outside.
Starting point is 00:00:37 But I had brothers, older cousins and shit. Hey. Gotta let the hook ride out on this one. More was definitely dancing back then. Tell the truth. Sure. Dancing was cool back then. Yeah, hell yeah.
Starting point is 00:00:50 You had to do a whole routine. So why do we hate the kids now for dancing? I don't. I just don't dance. You too cool, dude. How you outgrow dancing? The hook is on.
Starting point is 00:01:02 I also played this for Drake. Wait, what? That nigga spread his wings and flew away. All right, mic check, mic check, mic check, mic check. One, two, one, two, mic check. One, two. One. Oh, come on.
Starting point is 00:01:21 In the 80s, that sound effect was cool, whatever he did with his voice just now. All right, mic check. One, two, one, two, one, two. Let me hear my ear horn. Let me hear my tags. No Joe Budden. No, no, no. Microphone check. One, two. What is this? Welcome to the Joe Budden podcast. Episode 165, if I'm not mistaken. I'm your host, Joe Budden, here with all of my wonderful friends, Rory Mall, Parks, Erickson, and Savon. I want to shout out to all of the people watching on YouTube.
Starting point is 00:01:58 I want to shout out to all the people complaining that we are not yet up on YouTube. And I want to shout out to all of the people listening from work. Salutations to all. How is everyone feeling in the room? Good. We can't shout out the unemployed people? I feel for them, too. You can listen to podcasts at your house, unemployed,
Starting point is 00:02:16 searching for jobs and shit. I'm doing it for the advertisers. They don't give a fuck about the unemployed. No, that's not nice. They're not consuming shit. unemployed. No, that's not nice. They're not consuming shit? No, no, that's not nice. SoundCloud is free. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:02:28 Right? Yeah, shout out to the unemployed people, man. You'll get through it. Why are you unemployed in 2018? Because. It's hard out here. Don't try to relate to our struggle, Rory and Parks. You see Rory and Parks?
Starting point is 00:02:41 Wait, hold on. When was the last time? Unemployed is not a white thing, too? No, when white people are unemployed, they're just taking a break. Trying to find ourselves? They're figuring things out. White people get to do all the type shit. That's definitely a white people thing is taking a year off to find yourself.
Starting point is 00:02:57 Only white people do that. Before we start with the jokes, rest in peace to Kate Spade, who was found dead in her apartment at age 55. From what they're saying is a suicide. That is what they're saying. So I want to start on that really somber note so I can continue and joke around later at a more appropriate time. Rest in peace. Rest in peace to Kate Spade. Is this a good time now?
Starting point is 00:03:30 Is that enough? I think that was good. All right. So, I saw Rory and Nori taking pictures all weekend at the Roots picnic.
Starting point is 00:03:38 Are you taking pictures all weekend? Come on. All weekend. Why is Rory, come on, why is Rory? Even if it was just for 10 minutes,
Starting point is 00:03:43 it's all weekend. Nah. Of course. Nah, because they took at least? Come on. Even if it was just for 10 minutes, it's all weekend. Nah. Of course. Nah, because they took at least nine of them. And when Rory. Somebody tagged me. Yeah, but do you follow Nori too? No, I don't follow Nori.
Starting point is 00:03:52 Yeah. I don't follow Nori. You got about, they gave you about six of the looks. We changed clothes and shit. Yeah, I was like, yo, why is Rory making us trash out there? Wait, what trash for hanging out with Nori? No, for posting the same pic nine times. Oh, well, I posted it once.
Starting point is 00:04:07 I can only control what I post. I guess. Yeah. Do you have an insider Roots Picnic report for us? No, I missed all the Uzi versus Rich the Kid shit. I guess I was on the wrong side of backstage. Oh, that happened there? Yes.
Starting point is 00:04:25 Oh. Oh. Yeah. You can't fight at a Roots picnic. That's why I was like, this is not the place. Come on, Uzi. Everyone is in way good spirits here. I knew when I saw Uzi's name on the flyer, trouble was involved.
Starting point is 00:04:39 He seems like such a nice kid, though. Yeah, I don't understand it. He's a fucking, he's a gangster. He's coming from all sides. I'm just saying, if you get back home in Philly, I don't understand it. These gangsters come with all sizes. If you get knocked- Back home in Philly, I knew he was going to act up a little bit. How would you feel if you got knocked out by someone in Hot Topic pants? I would feel like I'm about to be a Hot Topic. Well, I don't know enough about Rich the Kid to know if he should be able to fight.
Starting point is 00:05:00 I don't know anything about either of them. But why was he jumping behind the counter? I guess they've had prior like Instagram beef or something. Which Uzi minds his business. That's why they didn't understand. How do you have an issue
Starting point is 00:05:10 with Lil Uzi Vert? All he does is shop with Young Thug. That's all he does. Yeah, well Young Thug's a little bit of a troublemaker. He is a little bit of a troublemaker.
Starting point is 00:05:19 All I could think about watching that video was God damn, what a bad time for Starbucks to just have had national black people day the other day that happened in starbucks yeah it was yes i think it was a starbucks and i don't quote me but it's in my story it was a starbucks so it's like damn that's the perfect time that is such the appropriate time to be racist get these fucking
Starting point is 00:05:44 black fucks out of my establishment i would have, if I was Starbucks, that would... Get these fucking black fucks out of my establishment. I would have definitely... If I was Starbucks, that would have went out from my account. Yeah, but they can't be racist now. So, Uzi and racist? Now they have to offer
Starting point is 00:05:52 the bathroom to them. I would have just posted that video and said, see? See? I would have character profiled like a fuck. Uzi, Rich the Kid,
Starting point is 00:05:59 all of them. No, you can't use the bathroom. You got to buy something and leave. Right. That's a fact. That's crazy. Yeah, but they can't do it. Nah, they can't do it. That You got to buy something and leave. Right. That's a fact. That's crazy. Yeah, but they can't do it.
Starting point is 00:06:06 Nah, they can't do it. And that was a time where we could run up to Starbucks and go crazy. Richard. We could slam wild lemon cakes on the floor of Starbucks now. Niggas don't even hop on there. Did they sell those or you were going to bring lemon cakes? Pretty good, so. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:06:20 Did you ever sell candy and cookies and shit in school? To raise money for your basketball team? How did you guys do with, did you guys ever do girls have cookies? shit in school? To raise money for your basketball team? How did you guys do with... Did you guys ever do Girl Scout cookies? No. No, no. Never did. Mary Kay products?
Starting point is 00:06:31 My mother bought them. Y'all just never sold shit, huh? No, not those products. Y'all just stepped out on the block day one with it, huh? Didn't learn anywhere. You can't sell Mary Kay products as a guy. No, you can't. You sold Girl Scout cookies?
Starting point is 00:06:44 Or Girl Scout cookies. Or Girl Scout cookies. Nah. Well, what did niggas sell? Oh, the McDonald's little candy bar. That's the best chocolate on the planet. Yeah, 100%. Still. I'm trying to find them. I'm still trying to find them since 6th grade. Into the Vector Knife program? Vector Knife? See, that's
Starting point is 00:06:59 after I dropped out. Vector Knife? They had this ploy where they were about to make you a thousandaire in about an hour. You go and you do this. You come into a room with a bunch of other
Starting point is 00:07:11 unemployed, degenerate kids, and they show you these knives, and they make you cut ropes, and they make you feel like you're a boss, and then they give you these knives, and then you go out to the block. And then you eat Chinese food.
Starting point is 00:07:21 That was special ed. Pizza. Damn it. I know what that was. They call it the Vector knife program. The Vector knife. Roy was definitely in ROTC. You don't see the haircut?
Starting point is 00:07:35 Duh. He definitely was ROTC. For sure. Oh, Roy. At my elementary school, they called the special ed program Space Camp to try to trick the kids. All right. Check this out, fam. Yo, at my elementary school, they called the special ed program Space Camp to try to trick the kids. Holy shit. Space Camp.
Starting point is 00:07:46 All right. Check this out, fam. We are so anyways off to, is that all we got for the Ruth picnic? Anything else? Black Thought is a complete alien. He's the best rapper of all time. It's confirmed now. He did a whole set with- It's confirmed now.
Starting point is 00:08:00 He did a whole set with Fab and Kiss this mixtape live shit where Fab and Kiss did all their hits and then Black Thought rapped on every single one of them in the new verse live oh that's crazy
Starting point is 00:08:10 it was literally insane I couldn't even enjoy it who the hell would agree to that I would never agree to that it ain't miss a beat like he didn't stumble
Starting point is 00:08:21 on anything I'm not rapping with Black Thought today let's stop going to bed but no I did I did feel bad I thugged it out Like, he didn't stumble on anything. Nigga, I'm not rapping with black thought today. Stop going to bed. But no, I did feel bad. I thugged it out for the whole thing just to see Dave Chappelle because I've never seen him live. All for him to go, ladies and gentlemen, The Roots.
Starting point is 00:08:36 And then the sky opened up. And then they say, yo, this shit is canceled. Damn. And then I ran to the car and sat in traffic. Don't say the sky opened up again. I mean, it did. It did. That's one of the reasons I don't go to festivals,
Starting point is 00:08:52 is traffic and weather conditions and people. You pussy. Eh, whatever. But overall, it was good. We're hot in these streets. We're definitely hot in these streets. A lot of people ask about the podcast. I thought that when I saw the five pictures. Oh, man, we are awesome out there.
Starting point is 00:09:06 Rory's really feeling it. He must be feeling the love. Did they have a podcast stage? They did have a podcast stage, yeah. We ain't that hot. Wait, no, Rory was on the stage at one point with It's The Real. I was. I said, why is Rory with It's The Real?
Starting point is 00:09:21 Well, one of their guests fell through, so they asked me if I would do it. I like It's The Real, so I said yes. Yo, how many years are y'all going to fall for It's The Real's tricks? It's only been at least 11 years now.
Starting point is 00:09:36 They keep getting us with the old tricks. My guests canceled. Nigga. It's the Roots picnic. It is 1.30. Who was their guest? Me and 9th.
Starting point is 00:09:49 But it was cool. They have headphones that they give you in the section of the podcast stage so you can hear it. It's in the middle of the festival. Oh, yeah. I saw that. It's kind of dope. Wait, the whole crowd has headphones?
Starting point is 00:09:59 The whole crowd has headphones, yeah. Remember when they tried to start those headphone parties? Yeah. You guys remember? They still do them. The when they tried to start those headphone parties? Yeah. You guys remember? They still do them, the silent parties. Yeah, the silent party. I definitely got an email for silent trap party the other day. That shit looks trash.
Starting point is 00:10:10 Who's that, 40 and them? Probably. Come on, hit his. Can't just say 40. No. Oh. Yeah. That's 40s music.
Starting point is 00:10:19 All right. So listen, I'm done joking with you guys. So listen, on to more serious matters, because boy, there's a lot of serious matters to discuss. Is there? Yeah, I think so. Okay. I have a theory. I believe you.
Starting point is 00:10:38 Shocker. If there's one thing we know you have, it's theories. Keep a good theory in your back pocket why is that so funny would you like to hear it I would love to hear it I want to hear the theory this podcast is for just that
Starting point is 00:10:59 it didn't start that way that's like a new trend I think in 2019 multiple rappers are going to be murdered if this trend if this trend continues that I'm seeing happening right this second
Starting point is 00:11:19 what the fuck that's a sick ass history I've been watching Channel ID That's a sick ass history, man. I've been watching Channel ID, man. Man, that's a sick ass... Evil genius. I feel like in 2019, multiple rappers are going to be... Hold on. Like known rappers?
Starting point is 00:11:36 Because I feel like a lot of rappers die every day because they happen to rap. Listen, man. Interpret it however the fuck you want to interpret let's let's let's get into that though why why do you feel that way uh i feel as though the lines are blurred today now more so than ever right and i come away with this just follow me through my stream of consciousness here I come away I saw I saw the internet slander J Prince this week and while I was taken aback it really made me just sit and do some real life thinking on how blurred the lines are and why the lines are blurred and when I say blurred lines i'm referring to the very
Starting point is 00:12:25 thin line between hip-hop and the streets because the streets have always governed hip-hop since inception right so when i assess the landscape today and i see all this going on and we'll talk about it as this uh goes further i was telling Parks I started to think back to as early as I could remember of when the streets were involved in hip-hop and for me as far back as I can remember was X-Clan that's when it started for me but that's not even true because Grandmaster Flash and if you old enough Melly Mel like
Starting point is 00:13:08 I'm not that age but I've spoken to Preem and I've spoken to some people that are of age so we can go that far I'm talking about
Starting point is 00:13:15 from my bevy of information X-Clan was street niggas we didn't know I didn't know I had I found that out what what was around epmd run dmc
Starting point is 00:13:30 eric b and rock him eric b specifically right uh nwa uh and i'm not pointing out all of the street people attached to these people but when i look at all of these different jay prince interviews and i start to look at the family tree that probably starts with jay prince really high at the top yeah before i get to the puffs masterpiece uh d and y uh baby and slim so if you see where i'm going i probably just went through well over 15 years of hip-hop acts backed by street niggas. Some of those street dudes are still
Starting point is 00:14:11 backing hip-hop. Word. Digging in the crates. Fat Joe. Big Pun. Big L. Lost Boys. Queensbridge. Right. I could go on and on. This is shit that I've never thought about. I only thought about it because I'm looking at the young nigga slander like niggas that have been I was introduced to
Starting point is 00:14:29 as damn near the boogeyman right right is what I'm saying so let's fast forward a little bit to 2000 and 2001 when I started to get a little hot in Jersey City as a young nigga, and I got my foot in the door. What I learned at that point, oh, wait, I was signed to Street Niggas. So I'm in that bunch. I was waiting for you to say that. I didn't want to be the one to say it. Well, because I wanted to speed up to more recent. I was signed to Street Niggas.
Starting point is 00:15:00 When I beefed with Game, it brought me face-to-face with Jimmy Henchman. He was signed to Street Niggas. Graff was signed to Street Niggas when i beefed with game it brought me face to face with jimmy henchman he was signed to street niggas graph was signed to street niggas in 2001 everybody was signed to street niggas job uh the feds was in murder ain't uh it was a lot going on so let's fast forward to today i'm back to blurred lines follow me here y'. I know I'm doing a lot in the first 15 minutes. So now I'm looking at today. And I'm seeing
Starting point is 00:15:33 which labels are backing the street niggas. My beef with Migos wasn't with Migos. QC. P. All this is great great shit we're naming hustlers and people that have you know what I mean but the lines get blurred when the kids today don't know who is behind who that's going to lead me to my next question uh my next my next real important topic
Starting point is 00:16:06 here which is who backs you the kids today don't know what's what i'm looking at uh i'm looking at uzi and i don't know his situation but for a nigga to hop over the counter i'm assuming uzi got some niggas with him uh takashi chief Shmurda's in jail. What I'm saying is today, Cardi's a gang member. Today, the lines are becoming less blurred, and I don't know if that behooves us or if that's to our detriment. That's what I'm saying. That was a real long-winded way of saying that, I guess.
Starting point is 00:16:44 Did y'all follow me? Yeah, and I think it's not too much different than it was, except there's no order now. Before, there was order. The artists had some type of couth with what was going on and who they were under. I think now it's just the wild, wild west, and there is no respect or order in what is going on.
Starting point is 00:17:00 I think the difference is that now it's the internet, so people thought that the street element has been removed because you can kind of just tweet whatever you want to. And stay behind the keyboard and be like, yo, it's just clout.
Starting point is 00:17:10 But it's still here. It's just, I'm doing it for tweets and retweets. Right. A lot of people don't give a fuck about a retweet.
Starting point is 00:17:15 Right. So let's start with, and I'm going to be all over the place here. Hold on, before you go, I wanted to, because what you brought up, Lil Sean had posted something
Starting point is 00:17:25 Similar to what you just said About Who by the way Is my new favorite IG follower I followed him He's a great follower on IG I want to follow Lil Sean
Starting point is 00:17:34 He says Please do not be confused I'm a fan of great music I don't care who made it Wrote it or produced it But when you sell something That I bought I expect it to be
Starting point is 00:17:43 What it is that I purchased If you're a shooter be a shooter if you're not a gangster and are a law-abiding citizen call the police if you're out here doing crime
Starting point is 00:17:51 and are apprehended don't tell as far as the history in hip-hop goes Curtis Blow and Sweet G were the first comers of an artist like Drake in the sense that
Starting point is 00:17:58 they were singing and rapping games people play and daydreaming hip-hop has been somewhat boring and corny because it's turned from lyrically competitiveness to gunslinging when I see you, it's on sight. That's bullshit.
Starting point is 00:18:10 Suge Knight is the person that I hold responsible for putting the battery in Tupac's back because of his hatred for Diddy. He used him as a pawn. He's also the reason Los Angeles felt the need to hate anything East Coast related. Only a person with no love for the art form would do such a despicable thing. Suge had no respect for anyone art form would do such a despicable thing. Suge had no respect for anyone, including artists on his own coast. He's even violated Ice Cube at a private meeting for tastemakers because he brought his wife. All I'm saying is when the uncreative people are involved, it would always be turned into a debacle. I'm sure that neither Pusher nor Drake are even considering being violent at this point. That would be the work
Starting point is 00:18:43 of the entourage. In other words, the uncreative. Until you release that so-called response you've already recorded in response to Adidon, please don't throw no more shots at anyone else in the game. It was all good when you silenced Meek, and he had to wear that humiliation like a badge of honor. Well, you do the same. That's my OG Lil Sean, the Book Machine SP. So that was his take on things things and I thought it was interesting
Starting point is 00:19:05 when he said the uncreatives when they get involved that has been on my mind the past four days creative people just need to always
Starting point is 00:19:13 be around other creatives because the people that aren't creative their agenda is real different and the things that they're willing
Starting point is 00:19:22 to go through to attain something that for you comes very natural, it just leads to fucking a bunch of bullshit. Well, you're left with an entourage where the only thing they probably can do is beat people up or do a violent act.
Starting point is 00:19:36 So their only way to prove themselves in this clique is to do that, which could be your detriment because now you're going to have to pay for it. Well, y'all have swung the conversation right where i i needed it to be my next question uh which is so important so important uh it's another one of those blurred line type of things because this is i guess this fell under the smoke and mirrors category always because the industry just always hits certain things from you i'm teaching that to my son my oldest son now hide some shit right it's what it's what this industry does who backs you let me hit the air horn i don't want to lose some of y'all because this is a real industry type of conversation, but who backs you? One of the most important questions in hip hop.
Starting point is 00:20:32 Let me walk you through my train of thought here. In 2003 or four. This is my personal experience. The only place I could pull from. I was trying to I was trying to get records played at radio, but I was competing with 15 other acts from Def Jam. As a young, impressionable kid, that didn't make much sense to me that my label was housing all of the giants I was competing against I went to Lior Cohen or Kevin Louse or whoever the fuck I went to I don't remember and I said yo I'm trying to get some traction in this building and I'm not having much and know what they said who backs you
Starting point is 00:21:26 street niggas that wasn't gonna help me then street niggas wasn't running around to every department knowing all the lingo that you had to talk knowing that that you should give gifts to all the employees at christmas time if you really want to get your record work street niggas were effective in some other areas is what i'm saying do y'all follow me yeah yep um fast forward to when i thought i had a record and i was stepping to the djs myself and they would tell me they would play it and it was fire and they would never play it. That conversation always led to. But who backs you? Because if there's no one I have a relationship with, I need in to play this.
Starting point is 00:22:16 That was never said, but it was said. Why all of this is so important. Drake is an anomaly for many reasons. why all of this is so important. Drake is an anomaly for many reasons we never even talk about. So if we want to have a really honest conversation here, let me do so. Last week, we were bombarded with that pusher track two hours in after we had already been here for three hours.
Starting point is 00:22:47 We wanted to fuck out of here. I didn't have time to process that. Who backs you? Drake probably makes better music than a lot of the field. Agreeable? Very much so. Drake is Jewish. Mm-hmm. Agreeable? Very much so. Drake is Jewish.
Starting point is 00:23:11 That's important. It's important. No, it is. You ain't got to tell me. I'm from uptown. He makes amazing music. He's Jewish. And oh, here's a caveat.
Starting point is 00:23:27 Google J Prince. I'm scared to even Google J Prince. Google Baby and Slim. Who backs you is important. It was a difficult lesson for me to learn in this business because for you to be successful in this business it really is contingent upon how many people have a vested interest in you Drake's hard to beat last week when I listened to that push a diss right i was taken aback because of of my uh my empathetic nature i don't
Starting point is 00:24:11 have a hateful bone in my body toward drake 40 or any of the people referenced kanye any of the people referenced in the diss track so when you hear some of those things that he said it was quite alarming but i said last week that push push has the advantage of seeing all the ways that people have failed uh we saw we saw drake against bars which was me, wasn't too effective. We saw Drake against Streets because that's how I view Meek. Wasn't so effective. We've seen him in a few different places. The only way to get that type of star to respond, I would think probably is to hit him
Starting point is 00:25:06 with shit that he loves and cares about. Yeah. Which makes me look at Push's angle a bit different. When I combine the beat selection with the surgical summer shit, with the therapeutic breakdown of family, it was pretty tactful until you got to some of the other stuff but if you're playing by the rule of if you mention my significant other is on then push is in bounds he's not out of bounds yeah drake always brings up the third party in beefs, and it's normally a woman.
Starting point is 00:25:48 I just don't know what's... He brought Nicki into the meek shit. Yeah, but I'm at a point now where I don't... I thought battling was part of hip-hop. Wait, let me get to my point, because that's where I'm headed here, Mo. To push everything he said was inbounds. Unfortunately, the pecking order is also blurred in hip hop
Starting point is 00:26:12 because the streets govern hip hop. So if Jay Prince says, can it, homeboy, then guess what? It's canned, I would assume. I haven't spoken to anybody. I'm assuming here. And it has to be that way because who's invested? If you're hurting our investment, you're hurting our money. our money and if there is some street people involved they're gonna react the way that the streets have always governed those types of issues i think that's it for my breakdown i think i gave the people enough there i just thought that some of those things needed clarity just because of some of the things i'm reading yeah but i but I mean, through this whole thing, you know, I'm always going to go back to hip-hop. And battle rap is part of hip-hop culture.
Starting point is 00:27:14 When you look at battle rap, URL, and those platforms, nothing is out of bounds. It's a little different, though, I think. But it's only different because it's not as much money involved. True. And that's where I think the problem comes in at. Because at some point, it's like hip-hop is hip-hop. Let's remove the money. Let's remove the fame, the celebrity.
Starting point is 00:27:40 I feel like I'm better than you. You're better than me. Let's see who's better. You got an issue with me. I got an issue with you. better than me let's see if who's better you got an issue with me I got an issue with you we're not gonna take it to the streets let's take it to the booth you are referring back
Starting point is 00:27:50 to the blurred line because J Prince Puff Daddy Master P Baby and Slim D&Y none of them make music.
Starting point is 00:28:06 Well, none of them are true rappers, is what I'm saying. So those codes, what you talking about is rapper shit. That's where I come in. I come in on rapper shit. When it's time to rap, less beef and less rap.
Starting point is 00:28:21 Once this elevates past rap, I have to hand this to my OGs because it's out of my it's out of the rapper's hand it's out of drake's hands i do believe that drake has a track and i do believe he said some shit that's out of character and i do believe that he probably tore kanye ass up because i believe that there's been tension there for years and years and years. And I do believe that Drake knows a lot of shit about Kanye. Right. I agree. I think that if he would have put that out, we've already seen how hard push is hitting.
Starting point is 00:28:54 Right. You want to take those body blows again? If you do take those body blows, it's out of rap. Because guess who has to jump in? Yeah. Your OGs. It's going to get ugly. So your OGs should step in and say, sit down, young man.
Starting point is 00:29:12 So does that just only apply when Drake is losing? Because it wasn't that case with me because he was clearly winning. Well, you get to my next point, Rory. I've obsessed over this all week. What have we learned? This is what we've learned, even if it's not
Starting point is 00:29:27 fair to Drake. Drake does not respond well to pressure. He's the bully. And he's a great bully. No. I don't think Drake is a bully. He bullied Meek.
Starting point is 00:29:45 It turned out that way. It turned out that way. It turned out that way, but Drake doesn't sit around just throwing shots at other artists. I think he was just prepared. He reacts. It just came off that way because Meek was so quiet. Him and his fucking Genius Bar squad are well prepared. That's not the exception. I think he came out looking like a bully because of that.
Starting point is 00:30:06 No, he prepared to drop charged up, and then he prepared to drop something the next day. He prepared to send Charlamagne. He was preparing to humiliate that man. I have my own theories as to why. So when he is the dominant one, when you on the ground, it appears that he will kick your fucking head in but when there's pressure i think the kindred control verse was pressure
Starting point is 00:30:36 that's my opinion because the only person spoken about in that class at that time was Rick he didn't respond well to that verse he didn't the own the next time that I thought I saw him under pressure was me nobody would agree with that but me because I know our relationship that's why he's so tough to beat because when you're that tough big of a superstar that magnitude you could throw a million reasons as to why you're not responding to pressure but it was pressure so here we go again with push that was rapper pressure all of the rap purists were saying nigga rap here we go with push this pressure. I don't think he anticipated the pressure as big as it got. I don't think he thought Push was going to hit that hard, that fast.
Starting point is 00:31:34 No, hit that correctly. Because Push could bar, again, to your point, Push could bar him to death, and Push didn't do that. He did the only way you could beat him. Yeah, but listen, before I forget, in this instance too, I think Drake and his Genius Bar squad sat down and had a plan and they were well prepared.
Starting point is 00:31:50 I think the plan was altered. At what point? Whenever the fuck J Prince felt like altering it. I think the difference is that between this and Meek and your situation is that it was way more personal. And for street dudes, once you start involving family and shit...
Starting point is 00:32:09 I'm going to agree. I think this was different because I think that it was I mean, it went personal but I think that it was going to there was really no end in sight for this because I think that it was great to get very, very personal. Some things were going to be said and you can't take those things back my only my only issue is I'm always for the music for hip-hop
Starting point is 00:32:32 I mean I nobody stepped in for Meek like nobody felt like you know who backs you and someone did step in for meek that that break between meek's reply oh niggas was on the phone the people invested in meek were on the phone behind the scenes i feel like that's i mean but i get it i understand that part but it's just hard for me to accept that because i'm just such a fan of music and i just want i want to see rappers if you got an issue i think the best way to settle that it just let's just rap let's just rap let me i'm gonna go at you you go at me and then after that it's like cool we know how this ends a year two years later we'll be on a some festival stage together to announce that we squashed this problem make a record like it's like it's it doesn't have to go straight but I don't yes if if one of these
Starting point is 00:33:26 rapping niggas get on a track and say get on a track and say fuck your dead producer or whatever the fuck
Starting point is 00:33:33 is going on I'm gonna wanna pull up I am yo I'll be honest with y'all I don't think it has nothing
Starting point is 00:33:39 to do with that when Saigon did I tell a story last week when Saigon premiered his diss track on Sirius Radio? Let me tell it because it's funny how life comes full circle. I was with Puff.
Starting point is 00:33:53 I was with Puff because Royce was with Puff. I was only there with Royce. And maybe didn't say two words to Puff, but what up? And I was listening to Sirius radio because saigon was premiering a diss track and he spoke about my son and i called serious radio and i said yo put homeboy on the phone and he said what up i said i'm on the way stay there two minutes off don't move i was pulling up yeah i felt i was a better rapper at the time but it's just certain things that you say that you have to be held responsible for and forget about me because
Starting point is 00:34:33 i ain't no street nigga you say some shit now my ogs don't really feel like squashing nothing with you yeah i'm there looking for you you don't see all this wild shit that's happening in hip-hop i've seen three niggas in chicago pull up and make the old white people stop playing takashi like they did the the line between trolling and the streets and whatever is happening to seek attention i think it's going to implode soon. It's dangerous. It's a dangerous game. I don't personally think it had anything to do with Push saying the 40 shit.
Starting point is 00:35:14 I don't think it was a personal level for Prince or whoever is backing Drake. I think they saw an opportunity where Drake's image is going to be tarnished. He had to put out a fucking statement in the middle of a battle rap about blackface. This is about money. This has nothing to do with personal. I'm pulling up. Your entourage is mad at this is about money this has nothing to do with personal i'm pulling up your entourage is mad at my entourage has nothing to do with that oh i thought you're saying that someone's gonna have to pull up when you bring up 40 dying no i'm just replying to more contextually but if you talk about dip set and who they're backed by they were saying the most disrespectful shit in the fucking world like i don't think it has to do with what was said in that that diss at all i think it had to do with drake's image because he
Starting point is 00:35:48 does have he carries that safe rapper image and now now you're putting the investment he is the bag you have so i don't think it has nothing to do with what push said it just what the reaction was i think the bottom line here is that the fans were, I feel like, as a Drake fan, I feel like we were cheated of a great battle. I agree. You know what I'm saying? I'm always talking for music. We got a great one round. Yeah, but.
Starting point is 00:36:15 And let me just say, I don't think we've heard the end of this. No, no, no. Let me be clear. I don't want to hear no sneaks disses. I don't want to hear no slick shots or no albums. If it's not going to be here right now battling, I don't want to hear nothing on nobody'sses. I don't want to hear no slick shots on no albums. If it's not going to be here right now battling, I don't want to hear nothing on nobody's album. You're going to hear all that.
Starting point is 00:36:29 I don't want to hear that. You're going to hear all that. I agree with more. If it's going to be squashed right here in the middle of the battle, like while both fighters are in the ring, it's squashed. It's squashed. No slick shots. It's squashed because that's corny.
Starting point is 00:36:44 That's all the way. If it's dead, if we're burying it, it's buried now. Do't, don't, no slick shots, it's squashed because that's corny. That's all the way, if the, if the, if it's dead, if we burying it, it's buried now, do not throw any slick shots on no projects.
Starting point is 00:36:50 I don't want to hear that. I just want to get back to the regular music. That's it. Yo, more. If the beef is dead, it's dead.
Starting point is 00:36:55 You can't, you gotta, no, you gotta take a shit or get off the toilet, man. You just said that we would be deprived of great battle.
Starting point is 00:37:02 Yeah, right here, this is the battle. Oh, but if you, in the ring. Oh, you want it, oh, you want instant gratification. You want it right now or never. Yeah, right here. This is the battle. In the ring. Oh, you want instant gratification. You want it right now or never.
Starting point is 00:37:09 No, no. Because he said that about Pacquiao and Mayweather too. It's here. The battle is here. I see what you're saying. I see what you're saying. If it's like it's going to go personal, we don't want this and that. Okay, cool.
Starting point is 00:37:19 We got it. It's over. The battle stopped here. It didn't go any further. But don't start throwing slick shots on albums don't do that it's gonna happen don't i think that's i think that's happening i think that's a given that's corny that might have been happening before any of this even because that happens before the battle but drake is shots happening okay now it's on cool now we're here then once
Starting point is 00:37:40 the battle's over you don't know you don't dictate you can't get to nah, that's not fair because Push album was out in stores and this battle drove him to his biggest first week that he's ever had and boy let me get the round of applause for him.
Starting point is 00:37:55 Is that true? As a solo artist? As a solo artist, yeah. Solo artist. 77,000 of which like 80, 75% was pure sales. That's awesome. Good for him.
Starting point is 00:38:04 I've never seen no shit like that. Congrats to Push. So what I'm saying is, he was on rollout mode already. He had all the time in the world. You see him in interviews, oh, he looks so casual. Oh, if something comes, I'm ready, I'm prepared.
Starting point is 00:38:17 Drake is heading into album a little different. Nothing is going to hurt Drake's album sales. Nothing. No, I don't think so either. No battle. If he win or lose, nothing's going to hurt Drake's album sales. No, I don't think so either. No battle. If he win or lose, nothing's going to hurt Drake's album sales. I don't think anybody was debating that. Okay, so my thing is, if the battle's not happening,
Starting point is 00:38:34 then that's it. Don't throw no more slick shots. It's like, you go your way, I go mine. That's just how I feel. Because now you're just playing with the fan bases, throwing slick shots. It's like, come on, man. Y'all going to go at it or or not but now that albums are out and it's like it's over with i don't want to hear no subs it's gonna be subs i'm pretty sure of course it is that's corny drake drake is the king of subs up there with hove too what did you guys think of uh james uh font lauroy chiming in
Starting point is 00:39:01 i think he owes us a Cocaine 80s album. That's what I think. It was definitely interesting. I didn't know that James Font Leroy had so many issues with that good music camp. Yeah. I didn't either. But now it all makes sense.
Starting point is 00:39:16 He sounds very angry. Now I know why we haven't gotten any music. Well, I think Font Leroy probably does business a certain way, judging off his Timberland connections and Justin Timberlake and all that
Starting point is 00:39:27 he rolls with the world that I send you an invoice I'm paid he don't roll with the Kanye fly me out to Wyoming let me do a hundred tracks for you then I'm gonna find out
Starting point is 00:39:36 it was on the album he don't do that so I think he's probably been holding this for quite some time I was so disgusted with all of that Wyoming shit
Starting point is 00:39:43 we're gonna get to that. I know we're all over the place here. It's a separate... All right, man. Let's stay focused. I'm sorry. You go ahead because I'm mad now.
Starting point is 00:39:49 No, I'm done with my Fauntleroy shit. No, somebody talk because I'm still mad. No, but I thought that, you know, Fauntleroy had some... I didn't know he was that funny. A lot of his responses to certain people...
Starting point is 00:40:01 Let me find it. Yeah, he is sweet. He had a lot of funny little slick shit. What did you think about him saying Pusha T is a snitch? And then trying to tell other people that they don't know what a snitch is. That was a bit contradictory. I don't know his pedigree though.
Starting point is 00:40:15 Battle rapping is snitching. It's snitching on yourself and on the other person. Is that why he was saying he was a snitch? I never understood the context in which he was saying he was a snitch. We're using the term snitch loosely. Was he using it? He was saying was saying he was a snitch? I never understood the context in which he was saying he was a snitch. We're using the term snitch loosely. Was he using it? He was saying Pusha T is a snitch and I think he even put the cop emoji next to it.
Starting point is 00:40:32 But he was saying, he gave no context so I didn't really understand what he was He was a bit all over the place. Yeah, he was just Him using the snitch thing I did not like the way you know i was
Starting point is 00:40:46 looking at a couple interviews that push it was doing i didn't i didn't like what it turned into so i agree with you and i kind of thought to myself like i was watching like basketball wives type of type of thing like maybe he was just doing this because he was already on an album but he was already on all that stuff was planned no planned. No, no, no. I get that. But I just didn't like how he was breaking down the battle rap, the record, and things that he was saying. It's kind of like, yo, the record is out. Y'all know what it is.
Starting point is 00:41:15 Y'all know how I feel. If he responds, I'm ready. Let's talk about the album now. But he was breaking it down. Yeah, you running around with your father. He just... It's like, so what if this man is running around with his father? I still don't understand what the problem with that is.
Starting point is 00:41:29 I stopped watching the Pusha interviews because I felt the same way. I was like, Dua, Pusha, you're a rapper. You're an amazing one. We heard everything when you came here. Yes, it just got too much. It got gossip girly. See, it must have been a specific interview because I saw Flex, and he did something, Breakfast Club, and he didn't really touch on it that much.
Starting point is 00:41:45 Drake hadn't replied by Breakfast Club. Oh, right. Yeah, so he had done, Breakfast Club, and he didn't really touch on it that much. Drake hadn't replied by Breakfast Club. Oh, right. Yeah, so he had done, I think, Big Boy in LA. Yeah, that's the one I'm talking about. He had done a couple where it was like, come on, fam. Yeah, I get it, but it just felt like... Oh, Park, she's talking about when he called into Breakfast Club. That was the next morning.
Starting point is 00:41:58 He had done the interview about the album, and then Drake replied. He put out his diss and called the next morning, which he was fine with that. I wasn't even really too mad at that. It was the following interviews where I was like, alright, you're doing a little too much with this diss. He started rap genie singing his...
Starting point is 00:42:12 You okay? That's how you feel? Some things. You gotta edit that one. He's Drax. Do right and kill sometimes. Drax. Drax.
Starting point is 00:42:35 That's pretty funny, bro. Drax. Do right and kill sometimes. Drax. Yo, we're going to snuff you. I believe it. Six God watching, man. Listen, I'm will snuff you. I believe it. Six God watching, man. Listen,
Starting point is 00:42:47 I'm a fan. He up in that tower. Do right and kill some things. He's up on that tower. Up with Daredevil in the gargoyle post. What y'all think he said about Kanye in the D-Tracks?
Starting point is 00:43:02 Come on, let's speculate. He probably got a lot of dirt. Well, the timeline was saying that he fucked Kim. You need more than that, buddy. That's what I was like. I don't know if that's going to do it. That's not making me switch sides. Yeah, but even still, see, it's like I want it.
Starting point is 00:43:21 We need that. We do not need Drake to fuck Kim Kardashian. I'm about to say. No, no, no. Come on, man. That's a wild one. That's not what he meant. We do not need that.
Starting point is 00:43:31 No, I don't need that. I'm just saying, like, we need that. The streets was waiting. No, we need that record is what I'm saying. Like, we need that record, man. I think he must have just went, he must have said some shit that sparked some shit in J Prince that made him say, no, don't put that out. I get it, man. But it's, come on, it's music man it's this is hip-hop yeah but now this is hip
Starting point is 00:43:49 hop like when joe said when it becomes not music then it's not music yeah jay prince lived through the tupac and fucking listen this is what i don't understand i'm a jay prince investment jay prince was in every one of those interviews and maybe because because my family's from the South, my granddad owned a pig pen. That language was very specific that he was saying. I mean, it wasn't, he didn't leave much room for you to interpret. No, what he said was very logical for Drake. But we're saying, we're putting our hip hop hats on and saying, no, you entered the battle.
Starting point is 00:44:23 You came at him. I'm talking about the other stuff. What came back at him, right? I'm talking about when he said, I called Drake and said, nah, you chill. We don't move like that. That's for the hogs and the pigs.
Starting point is 00:44:37 And I know how to deal with the hogs and the pigs. I saw him say it on The Breakfast Club. I saw him say it on Deezus and Mero. I saw him say it on the breakfast club i saw him say it on diesel and marrow i saw him say it on sway he's saying it when when men of that ilk say things consistently it's true also oh wait also and let me just close on this another real important point i thought about, it's important to know what your name says about you. Really, really important. Like, with all of this clout chasing stuff going on, I was like, wow, I've never saw clout chasing J Prince in the same sentence.
Starting point is 00:45:19 I said, that must be pretty dope where you just, you know, your credit score on your name is pretty high we if you know jay prince you don't probably don't you don't think that he's clout chasing at all and you don't think he's lying he's not i i don't think that's tough uh sidebar i had a conversation yesterday with a rapper that shall remain nameless, that cursed me the entire fuck out for about, I want to say, 37 minutes straight. That's a long curse out. And that person will continue to remain nameless because when I told that person
Starting point is 00:45:58 I was going to tell you guys what happened, they accused me of clout chasing. We're clout? He must be mistaken you clearly have never met parks and mall and rory not clout but that it just made me throw up in my mouth to get accused of that it's like that's the new thing i hate hip hop. I thought we were going to ban it from this podcast. I don't know how it keeps getting here. It makes my skin crawl. Yeah, it's nasty. Something else real important was happening in hip hop, right?
Starting point is 00:46:32 Where's my phone? Outside of all this big stuff. Wyoming. Outside. Oh, my fucking... Outside of everything. Oh, can I? I hate all of you.
Starting point is 00:46:39 That shit was outside. Entirely. A bonfire listening party? entirely. A bonfire listening party? Let's just keep an eye on everyone that was on that ranch. They had a listening party over marshmallows
Starting point is 00:46:54 and trinkets. Well, did we see anything ironic about Yes Jules coordinating it? Damn, she coordinated that? That's appropriate. Word. That's all I can say.
Starting point is 00:47:07 Pretty good coordinator for something like that. Niggas was listening to Kunye over cheese and crackers. Hot dogs. And I've seen a lot of people take their asses out there that had a lot of slick shit to say about Kanye. Boy, y'all are trash. Every last one of you, I seen you. I seen you in Wyoming.
Starting point is 00:47:28 I ain't say nothing. Because when I did, niggas called me a hater. So I said, all right, let me wait until it's podcast time so they can hear my voice. Niggas got to stop just calling somebody a hater. Well, when they call me a hater, I just be like, all right, they got to hear my voice. To know I'm not hating. Well, there were some people that I guess had to be out there. I don't think 2 Chainz agreed with anything that Kanye West has said. But he has to save face'm not hating. Well, there were some people that I guess had to be out there. I don't think 2 Chainz agreed
Starting point is 00:47:45 with anything that Kanye West has said. But he has to save face and be there. Chris Rock, I was a little shocked. But Chris, he's a pretty good politicker. Kanye ain't selling enough records for them 95 fighter private jets that went over to Wyoming. That shit is expensive.
Starting point is 00:48:05 I have another theory about that too. I need to see them. If I was on Good Music, I would be asking to see the accountant. You think that's coming out of someone else's budget? Mine. I think that for some of them niggas, the Kanye tweet
Starting point is 00:48:23 was probably about the bulk of the promotion. I think some of them niggas. The Kanye tweet was probably about the bulk of the promotion. Yeah. I think some of them niggas' budgets paid for a few of them fighter jets to Wyoming. Yeah, that's what I think. It's not really an international airport. And then just when I thought I might have been off a little bit, I browse over to Instagram and I see a long list of thanking all these people that went to Wyoming,
Starting point is 00:48:47 all these artists and shit. And in the comments, they left Sy High's name off. So in the comments, Sy High was there, and he said, and Sy High. Was Sy High there? I didn't see a picture. I don't know. Yes, he was fucking there. I don't know. I didn't see a picture. I don't know. Yes, he was fucking there.
Starting point is 00:49:07 I don't know. I didn't see a picture of him. Dancing the whole time. Of course he's there. I missed it. He's a dancer. Yes, he was. I saw Fab on a fence. Wyoming.
Starting point is 00:49:15 Yeah, Fab had on his Wyoming jeans. Wyoming. How many different stonewashed jeans does Fab have? Every place in the world. Wyoming. Wait. Nah. It seemed like all of Fab.
Starting point is 00:49:29 Saha was definitely there. Saha is the Sarah Huckabee for Kanye West. He sits on Twitter all fucking day and tries to make sense of all this and replies to all the fucking people all day, which is terrible because I think Saha is a really intelligent person. I don't think he believes half the shit he's saying. I don't think. I don't.
Starting point is 00:49:43 I do think he's intelligent. I just don't think he believes half the shit he's saying. I don't think, I don't, I do think he's intelligent. I just don't think he's very business savvy. That whole, when I just saw that, I was like, you got to be careful to make sure the people you represent are representing you too. I wish I would have to say, and hey, I was there too. How old am I when I'm saying this? I would do a real serious personal inventory. Saha has been the one person that's been on the front lines talking to everybody for Kanye,
Starting point is 00:50:08 and he don't even get on the flyer. Wait, who posted the flyer? Kanye? I don't know who posted that shit. Steph Jam's account, probably. Oh, okay. So the numbers came back on Kanye, and he did something stupid, 160, 170, something trash. How many were sales?
Starting point is 00:50:25 I don't fucking know. I have no idea. I was just happy that the number was poor. Did y'all listen to the album? I did. I did not. I listened to it. I stuck to my guns.
Starting point is 00:50:34 Way to successfully. I did. No, I said I was going to listen to it, so I stuck to mine, too. Well, I expected his white fan base to listen. Oh, no, it was not just his white fan base. Judging by the Wyoming pictures, too. Don't try to do all that.
Starting point is 00:50:49 Don't try to do all that. I saw a lot of people. You're trying to say, B-Dot was there? Was B-Dot there? Who was there? Charlamagne was there? Hey, Charlamagne, don't try to not go to Wyoming. Hey, wait a goddamn minute, Charlamagne.
Starting point is 00:51:05 Don't try to be part of the early exclusive premium rollout. Get your ass down there with your jewels. Well, I don't want to misquote Charlamagne, but he said a lot of things would be answered in the music. I listened to the album. Nothing was answered. Not one fucking thing was answered. Well, let me defend Charlamagne a little bit.
Starting point is 00:51:24 I could be misquoting him. That's what I thought he said. The word was that Kanye changed a few things. Changed it. The album is all about the last week. He said he changed the whole album. But you can do that with 27 songs. And why does he think that taking a picture with his iPhone for the cover is genius?
Starting point is 00:51:40 That's not. You don't understand him yet. No, I don't. I don't. You don't understand him. I don't understand him. Your I don't I don't understand him or Sihai you're not there you gotta get there
Starting point is 00:51:49 here's another question for you here's another question for you Kim Kardashian told all of the media people that we were irresponsible in questioning the mental health of Kanye West,
Starting point is 00:52:06 which I thought was interesting. I mean, you're supposed to rep for your husband, but her saying that as his publicist and record label, it did lead to feeding the doubt that you may have had. He just did mad interviews saying he's mentally ill. Yeah. He just did mad interviews saying he's mentally ill. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:52:30 So I don't trust any time I get conflicting reports from one camp. I just saw a Complex article on my timeline on the way here. Oh, my God. This big thing that Kanye West admits he's bipolar. Have y'all not been watching him for the past 15 years? Wait a minute. Why is this news? That's not a bad thing to say about him, but it's been quite clear. Well, shut up so that one of us can start to say some bad things.
Starting point is 00:52:53 All right. Complex and Def Jam. I was waiting a long time to see. A deeper, darker criminal link? We ain't going to talk about murder, Inc. Hey, hey, one more question for you guys. Where were you when Big Meech brought the Tigers in? I was home.
Starting point is 00:53:18 I was busy earning stripes like a tiger's skin. Now that that's out of the way. I'm glad that was cleared up. I mean, if you know, you know. When exactly did he do that? Huh? When did he bring the tigers in? His birthday party.
Starting point is 00:53:34 Yeah. No? Yeah. I don't know where I was. I think my mom was cooking hot dogs and macaroni for me that day. I was definitely home. I want to call you a word I can't say. What word?
Starting point is 00:53:46 Rory. You know, our favorite word. Oh. We can't say that word. Oh, now I feel like this is a little shady.
Starting point is 00:53:52 What the fuck? What were we talking about just now? Come on, man. This is a PC podcast, Rory. Yeah, come on, Rory. This is a PC podcast? Yes.
Starting point is 00:53:59 This is a PC podcast. It is kind of PC. Yeah. What were we just talking about? Because that was a good topic we were on. Def Jam and Complex. I do want to talk about the album, but go ahead. It is kind of PC. Yeah. What were we just talking about? Because that was a good topic we were on. Def Jam and Complex. I do want to talk about the album, but go ahead.
Starting point is 00:54:08 All right, really quick, I just want to point this out. Back to my earlier question of who is behind you, who backs you. I, for one, have been waiting to see how the Noah Calloway, Paul Rosenberg, Complex, Def Jam union would take effect as it pertained to Def Jam rollouts. Is Kanye still on Def Jam? Yes. Okay. Yeah, and if you were confused,
Starting point is 00:54:32 all you had to do was look at Complex's feed. I might have been blocked, too. They are going... They are the only people that I've seen talk about this Kanye shit. They said it's a classic yet? Oh, yeah. You know they did. You know they did. You know they did.
Starting point is 00:54:47 People love that classic. Word. First day. Man, if they don't get that shit the fuck out of here. So I listened to the snippets because that was the only way
Starting point is 00:54:57 I could listen to some of it without supporting him. I could have sent you the bootleg. That's how I would have I don't want to listen to him. Oh, yeah,
Starting point is 00:55:04 smart. He is irresponsible with his power I think that's the part that people are missing I don't like the way that he leads he is for self
Starting point is 00:55:17 so if you root for him and follow him how can you that's for another podcast he's very Trumpian. You listen to the snippets. A little creeped out with the talk of his daughter, but none of my business.
Starting point is 00:55:32 Yeah. On the last record, yeah. Why is he? What about the killing his wife? That wasn't, we don't know if that was directed at his wife.
Starting point is 00:55:39 Well, that's true. Listen. It's all, it all was on, all of that, the premise of it all is uncomfortable when your stability
Starting point is 00:55:46 is being questioned that's true like if this were years ago when Kanye was doing all that shit I'm sure we would all sing his praises
Starting point is 00:55:54 sure in 2018 get this nigga the fuck out of here if we got rid of Bill Cosby and R. Kelly I have no problem
Starting point is 00:56:00 getting rid of him and I know it's a false parallel I'm clear on that but man whatever no I listen to all 17 minutes of the album and i've usually after a kanye west album i suppose you feel something just because it's he's a really good artist i felt i felt absolutely nothing it was like numb emptiness and uh what it was, what's that cereal? Chex.
Starting point is 00:56:26 Yes. Bowl of kicks. With no milk. Yo, y'all never had a bowl of Chex? That's a sick ass cereal. Chex? But have you ever had Chex? No, I never would have.
Starting point is 00:56:37 Chex Mix. Chex Mix. I mean, granted, are there some cool songs in the album? Sure. It's Kanye West. But to compare it to what he's done, every album would feel like there's something groundbreaking or something that he's pushing forward.
Starting point is 00:56:47 No album sounds the same. Wait, you wasn't never on Welfare? Me? No. Your family or nothing? Mm-mm. My bad. Excuse me, that was spicy. Word.
Starting point is 00:57:00 Nigga rolled his eyes at me. Don't do that again. I didn't roll my eyes. I just said no. Nigga, it's a fucking movie. Nigga said no, never. All right, my't roll my eyes I just said no nigga it's a fucking movie nigga said no never alright my bad Rude
Starting point is 00:57:09 no no it's fine yeah so there was nothing groundbreaking about it it felt really underproduced it felt rushed nigga so y'all a bunch of
Starting point is 00:57:17 fucking reference tracks and demos man get this the production wasn't terrible the content was completely there was nothing new about the production
Starting point is 00:57:26 where I was like, Kanye, even if, whether you like Yeezus or not, it was still something different. It pushed the limits a bit. It just did something different. No Kanye album typically sounds the same. This is just some regular shit that didn't make Pablo. Like, it's just...
Starting point is 00:57:39 There was no thought put into it. It doesn't feel like... It feels like he just went and took a picture with his iPhone and made it the cover. Like, I feel like that represents what the album was. He might have recorded the album on the same trip as the iPhone picture. They said Ghost, the one with Kid Cudi,
Starting point is 00:57:53 they finished that day, and it was a reference track that he had from like years ago, and they just threw it together. That's why consumerism is important. I believe that these artists are selling y'all bullshit. I agree. That's what I mean when I, a long time ago in Everyday
Starting point is 00:58:08 Struggle, I addressed low quality music and a lot of people were confused. But this is what I mean. They're selling you very low quality music shit that takes very little effort. They're selling you rough tracks. Listen, it's not bad
Starting point is 00:58:24 music. If someone else put it out, I wouldn't really have an opinion. That's a cool album. There's records I'll replay every now and then, but I have to compare it to Kanye West, who has been what? How many albums? This is what? His 10th album? I don't know. Whatever. Let's say it's 10. He was 9 for 9 before this.
Starting point is 00:58:40 Yeah. Kanye West is good. Pablo is not 9 for 9 before this a hit record or Yeezus or Yeezus and debatably 808s
Starting point is 00:58:50 I know there's a lot of 808s I'm not going to have this conversation I agree that it was dope but there were some people a small group that
Starting point is 00:58:58 didn't really rock with it that's all I'm saying some people would argue 6 for 9 that's all not us okay Rory gets spicy when you talk to him all the niggas didn't really rock with it. That's all I'm saying. Some people would argue six for nine. That's all. Not us. Rory gets spicy when he does it.
Starting point is 00:59:08 All the niggas that got kicked out of college, defend them. Him and Cole, like no other. Wait, do I defend Cole all the time?
Starting point is 00:59:16 No, you don't. I got trapped into my, I went back to an earlier conversation I was having with Deion this week and we were trying to figure out
Starting point is 00:59:23 what's the attachment to certain artists and it's college. Yeah. trying to figure out what's the attachment to certain artists and it's college. My attachment to Kanye is his first album came out when I was like 13, 14. So it was like the first artist that I was there. I was there at his first album.
Starting point is 00:59:37 He raised you. Rory was definitely wearing the two polos. Right? For sure. I can't say I did. I was still wearing junior button-ups all the way through the Kanye era
Starting point is 00:59:49 of my high school years. A junior button-up. I had the button-up. That's how far I took it. Wow, man. Queens. Man, around the world I found far Rory's conga.
Starting point is 00:59:59 Oh, I got pictures. You can see it on my Instagram. I thought you were going to say, oh, I still have the button-ups. I know. It's right there
Starting point is 01:00:03 next to you and Rory. Next to you and Nori. I still have the say, oh, I still have the button-ups. I know. It's right there next to you and Rory. Next to you and Nori. I still have the button-ups. Rory and Nori podcast coming soon. We're going to tape it in the basement of the Coliseum. So come through. Alright, I'm Drake and Kanye'd out. It's been an hour. It's enough. They've consumed too much of my life
Starting point is 01:00:22 for the past few weeks. Speaking of music and Black Thought, did y'all listen to his EP? I did. I did. Hard. Guy's really good at rapping. He's very good at rapping. I don't have anything to say.
Starting point is 01:00:34 That shit is dope. I put that on first before Kanye or any of the other shit that came out. Yeah, I just put it on. Black Thought is just one of those dudes that- It's not even fair. It was 17 minutes of just all bars. That shit is crazy. But every single line...
Starting point is 01:00:49 Means something. Yeah, it's not like you're just rapping. You just shouldn't have that type... I said this when he did his flex freestyle. You shouldn't have that type of diction at that age, that breath control, that... He has a combination of too many things that you shouldn't have at 48, 49.
Starting point is 01:01:04 I think he gets that. Black Thought is not 49 you shouldn't have at 48, 49. I think he gets that. Black Thought is not 49 years old. He's probably up there. Why is he not? He's 47. How old is Black Thought? He might be. They came out in 91, dog.
Starting point is 01:01:13 I would have put him 45. They came out in 91. I would be shocked if he were 45, but I don't know. Say, Vaughn, can you find out how old Black Thought is first, please? Yeah, I think Black Thought is just one of those guys that he's just... 46. 46. He speaks like, he raps like that because he's just intelligent.
Starting point is 01:01:31 And you can tell that he reads a lot. And you know what I mean? He's just one of those guys that when he talks, you just like, okay, he knows what the fuck he's talking about. So to him, music is just like... Don't you hate the girls that want to ask you the last book you read? Like they read? Yeah, like, fuck out of here, mom. Twitter.
Starting point is 01:01:47 The last book I read? I don't even remember. Let's see. Where's my little notepad thingamajiggy? All right, Rich the Kid. We kind of discussed all that street. We did get a lot. 6, 9, 2, 3.
Starting point is 01:02:00 And I think we covered all the Drake shit I had written down in that Drake thing. Yeah, I think we did pretty good. Kate Spade. Yeah, I think we did pretty good. Kate Spade. Yeah. Wyoming. Oh, to end the Drake thing, Drake allegedly wrote Yikes the Hook, which I suppose is the single and favorite on the Kanye album that he was not credited for. Neat.
Starting point is 01:02:18 Talk about, yo, all these rap beefs are spicy. It's personal. That's why it's personal. The nigga just left from over there putting pen to the sheets. And y'all not even going to credit him? By the way, Yikes is just Wolves Part 2. So to ruin it for you. A lot of that shit was something else Part 2.
Starting point is 01:02:36 I'm not listening to none of that shit. Todd Allison sounds great on the album, though. Todd Allison always sounds great. He's great. I haven't heard him not sound great since Beach House. Jeremiah's on it, which I was pleasantly surprised about. I'm glad he's starting to get his credit with the bigger artists. All right, so that's a good segue.
Starting point is 01:02:55 I didn't hear that album, so I don't know what the fuck y'all talking about. But I think their project comes out this week. Did they put a date to it? Because Burr got us all hyped. I wonder if I'm leaving it comes out this week. Did they put a date to it? Because Burr got us all hyped. I wonder if I'm leaving it for... Oh, fuck. Edit point. All right, well, I think this album is coming out Friday.
Starting point is 01:03:14 So, because it really agitates me and annoys me when anytime Burr comes here and plays a song that we all love and then never hear again, I do my due diligence and try to keep up with these songs. me when anytime Berg comes here and plays a song that we all love and then never hear again, I do my due diligence and try to keep up with these songs. So if this album is coming out Friday, then it should be safe for me to play this song.
Starting point is 01:03:35 And if it's not safe for me to play this song, I should get a few texts about it. But get a few texts about it. But. Y'all remember this? This is the reference? Nah, this is the real thing now.
Starting point is 01:03:55 It's game time now. We live now. I kind of love the reference though. I love the reference too. This is Jeremiah Ty Dolla Sign. This is called Light Off The Album.
Starting point is 01:04:04 I think it's coming out this Friday. I don't know. Don't quote me. Okay, cool. Okay, cool. Did I play that here before? I think we played the reference I don't think we played the real one
Starting point is 01:04:30 Oh This is the real one This is hard This sample will always be hard Baseline Let's have sex But not without the first date But not without the first date But not before I have to wonder if you let me in
Starting point is 01:05:04 If I walk into your doorway Let's have sex But not without the sprees, babe Not without the vacay, no Ooh, that's the way it goes Don't this feel right? I'm tryna put you in the light Bad song to not have any women to. I'm thinking baby we should fuck again Try my look again All your friends say you ain't really in love with him
Starting point is 01:05:46 Started off the hint and now I'm off the drum Had to switch it up, I had to hit your phone Can you picture us posted on the wall? Can you picture us posted on the wall? I put her to sleep and she woke up like that Breakfast in bed, all the force at Can't get to the bed, talking to me, babe Robyn, would we give a good move? Just gonna play the whole song. Yeah. Berg is gonna text you. Berg is gonna text you.
Starting point is 01:06:05 Bro, why wouldn't you give a good name to this motherfucker? We ain't gonna let you down. You knew this day would come where we would debut shit? I got a little payola. Your podcast called Neverland. I wish. Your podcast is good. Wait a minute.
Starting point is 01:06:29 Sex. But not without the foreplay. Okay, cool. But not without the first date. Okay, cool. But not before I have to wonder if you let me hit. If I walk you to your doorway. Let's have sex.
Starting point is 01:06:44 But not without the sprees, babe. Okay, cool. Not without the vacay, no It's the way it goes And don't this feel right I'm tryna put you in the light It's the way it goes And don't say goodnight I'm trying to fuck you on the side I'm trying to fuck you on the side Any of you radio personalities think you want smoke? Call me Mr. Chimney
Starting point is 01:07:24 I want smoke We're definitely Mr. Chimney. I want smoke. Berg, definitely about to send that text out. All right, man. So that album, we think, is coming out Friday. Shout out to Berg.
Starting point is 01:07:34 Shout out to Jeremiah. Shout out to Ty Dolla Sign. I just noticed that Rory has his Close the Deal jeans on. Well, those were the black ones.
Starting point is 01:07:43 Are these the part two? Those are strong negotiation. Yeah. The pre-pro meeting. Yeah, that's the Soho house lunch. Yeah. Before you. Yeah, the little fray shows that I'm cool.
Starting point is 01:07:57 Like, this ain't that serious. You said fray? I've never even said fray. It's a fray, no? I don't know. I don't even know what that means. Oh. It's like a tiff. Nice. Oh, okay. Call back. That's a fray, no? I don't know. I don't even know what that means. It's like a tiff.
Starting point is 01:08:06 Callback. I know it. Two weeks, no? Oh, my goodness. You can't call back your callbacks. And you can't be the person to scream callback. Dozier, let's have lunch. Yes.
Starting point is 01:08:18 Coffee, maybe. Rory was definitely at the Roots picnic telling people to have lunch with him. Oh, definitely. Him and Deionnie together. We went to the food truck. That was ourionnie together. We went to the food truck. That was our lunch. Let's go meet at the food truck.
Starting point is 01:08:30 Yeah, Rory definitely bought mad meals at the food truck. I did. They had great food. That's just the spot it looks like Rory would try to ball out on them.
Starting point is 01:08:39 Dog, to buy anything at a food truck at a festival, you got to ball out. It's like $25 for a side. You're laughing, but that's coming out of this budget. That's $25 for a burger. Joe, you're laughing, but that's coming out of this budget.
Starting point is 01:08:45 That's $25 for a burger. What budget? We got a budget? Word. I'm still trying. Rory's spending it all on lunch with Nori. I'm still trying to pay Maul for that invoice he sent a couple weeks ago. Nori paid for lunch?
Starting point is 01:08:57 Nice guy. Did I pay you? Did you get paid for that invoice? Nigga, you know I ain't get paid, man. Why you asking that? So about this future story I gotta take care of that today so future guys something we shouldn't do on the air they don't even feel right sighing anymore word Drake killed the side I know I'm too scared to even make a bunch of jokes about it.
Starting point is 01:09:27 Hey, yo, you got to be a real nigga to scare somebody over Wi-Fi. It ain't too many guys that pull that off successfully. I'm like, yo, J Prince ain't really saying nothing thuggish, but I'm afraid. It's a toad. He just talks scary. Yeah, you can tell the toad. Yeah, I was like, yeah, I'm a pussy. But whatever.
Starting point is 01:09:43 I didn't care. If J Prince is a standard I think a lot of us are pussy word no but listen so I didn't and I will salute Charlamagne
Starting point is 01:09:51 because he asked a few questions that I was waiting to hear be asked yeah I gotta salute J Prince for the whole speaking of just realizing you pussy
Starting point is 01:10:02 when I first heard Scarface I never seen a man cry until I seen a man die. I felt pussy. I was like, damn. Face cried. Look what face is crying about. I'm in here mad that the bananas are rotten.
Starting point is 01:10:19 The nanners. That nigga said the nanners are rotten. I said the bananas. He said nanners. He didn't say bananas. He said nanners. That nigga said the nanners are rotten. I said the bananas. He said nanners. He didn't say bananas. No, I heard nanners. He said nanners. The nanners are rotten.
Starting point is 01:10:30 Yo, I told y'all about the little trend y'all got going, Mo. Parks, did he say nanners? I heard nanners. We're recording. All right, cool. I said bananas. We're going to find out. I'm going to listen back.
Starting point is 01:10:39 Bananas. Is the time stamp on that? I'm going to look back. Hey, yo, the time. Don't do that, Mo. Yo, fucking, look at Savon writing things. Yeah, find out the time stamp on the nanners. The time stamp on that? I'm going to look at it. Don't do that, bro. Yo, fucking, look at Savon writing things. Why not the time stamp
Starting point is 01:10:48 on the nanners? The time stamp. Yo, fuck it. I just got our title, buddy. I said on this podcast that Rory and Molf for the last two months have been making me out
Starting point is 01:10:58 to be the butt of the jokes. Double entendre. Don't even ask me how. Pause. Rory's sipping that Perrier like it's Dom. Why you holding that bottle like that?
Starting point is 01:11:08 Listen, man. That Moon Music check just cleared. Yo, you gotta see Rory when he gets in this DP bag, though. You saw how he was tilting that bottle? I thought you had champagne.
Starting point is 01:11:20 I'm about to send him the check cleared for sure. Yeah, nigga, just drink your seltzer. God damn it. I'll try to change him a check clip for sure. Yeah, nigga, just drink your seltzer. God damn it. I'll try to change the nanner subject. Rory type nigga
Starting point is 01:11:30 won't let you know it's alkaline. Nah, nah, this ain't regular. This ain't regular. This ain't tap. All right, wait, wait. Oh, all right,
Starting point is 01:11:37 so listen. Ladies, ladies, ladies. This is going to go bad. No, no, no. We back here again? No, no, back here again No no I think we do a great job Of trying to help the ladies out
Starting point is 01:11:49 I think so And they don't I just think They don't want to hear it from us No I think we're pretty respectful And calm about it too I think we tried
Starting point is 01:11:57 Like we could wild out Yeah We're bad though The things we say off the microphone Are much Yeah yeah We're not going to talk Worst
Starting point is 01:12:02 Ladies I was I was surfing the net. Surfing, I guess. That's what you were doing? Yeah. A.K.A. he just opened his phone. Bumped into a story I was flabbergasted over.
Starting point is 01:12:14 Flabbergasted. Bumped into it. Yeah. So I will admit that I began reading this without actually knowing what it was about. And boy, was I thrilled at that decision. So I present to you Future versus Kind Young Lady. Let me get some gunshots going for the kind young lady. If you're at work, fuck it.
Starting point is 01:12:44 Oh, hold on. Hold on. I think this might need a love and hip-hop drop. Oh. This is definitely a case. You're right. You're right. Was this a case of Mendeecees having his cake and eating it too? It was.
Starting point is 01:12:56 Because when he wasn't with Yandy, was he with Erica? When he wasn't with Erica, would he be back with Yandy? Yeah. Because if both women carried the term, then what? The pregnancies would have some overlap. Speaking of that drop, and before we get into this future story, has anybody seen Amari La Negra without the afro? I think so.
Starting point is 01:13:19 I think I've seen a braided head. I saw braids one time, and she had a wig on one day when it was straight. She had just like a straight wig on. That's all y'all got? Yeah. I'm a little nervous where you're going with this. Nothing else jumped off the screen. No, there was something that jumped off the screen.
Starting point is 01:13:38 All right, let me get into this. All right. Kind young lady. And let me just say, never stop divulging your personal business on the internet. Please don't. Oh, my God. Please don't. That's what the internet's for.
Starting point is 01:13:51 What will I do? I'll delete my Twitter when that stops. Kind young lady writes, and I quote. Is this her name? No, her name is... Well, maybe we shouldn't do that. Smartass. Well, no, no.
Starting point is 01:14:04 But is that like her Twitter name? No, no, no. I'm just calling her kind young lady. Gotcha. Protect the innocent. Yeah, well, maybe we shouldn't do that. Well, no, no. But is that like her Twitter name? No, no, no. I'm just calling her Prime Young Lady. Gotcha. Protect the innocent. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Well, we'll find out if she's innocent or not. True.
Starting point is 01:14:12 She says, okay, now that I'm settled in my room, I had to book. I can go and tell y'all. Now, that's always good. Let's just pause for a second Do you think she was at the desk in the room Or do you think she was on the bed When you say nice and settled in You're on the bed
Starting point is 01:14:33 This paragraph looked like she was sitting upright At that desk Laptop plugged in just in case She's on the bed in some night clothes She's probably tipsy At this point She was anticipating this She said now that I'm settled in my room bed and some night clothes. She's probably tipsy at this point because she knew she was anticipating this.
Starting point is 01:14:48 She said, now that I'm settled in my room. So clearly she wanted to be settled in her room. Alright. She says, so I've been talking to future since March. Eucalypses. Huh? Eucalypses? Parks, what is it?
Starting point is 01:15:04 Eucalypses is a flower, isn't it? Eucalypses. Eucalyptus is a flower eucalyptus eucalyptus is a flower that was an instrument it's like a greek god it's a pokemon a greek god in the middle of the story what did i say
Starting point is 01:15:20 eucalyptus who is eucalyptus that's ze Zeus' brother. Who is that, man? Can I finish my sentence? I never knew how to say that. Okay, go ahead. What is it?
Starting point is 01:15:32 What's the correct term? Elypsis. Elypsis. Elypsis. Eucalyptus. Yeah, I used to want the Mitsubishi Eclipse. You know what? Joe.
Starting point is 01:15:43 Yo, when I was super broke, some of the cars I wanted was crazy. I wanted a 4Runner. Chill, don't hate on the 4Runner. Nah, I wanted a 4Runner. I wanted an Eclipse. Y'all never wanted an Eclipse? No, I never said I want the new Eclipse. I never said that.
Starting point is 01:16:04 Nah, that shit was hard for a couple summers. I also want to tell you those are not the same words. I know that, Parks. You know, I see what's going on. Yo, that is some funny shit. Which one? Eucalyptus or the Eclipse? This whole exchange is hilarious.
Starting point is 01:16:21 Is it Uchiwale or is it one like... Get back to the story. Which one is it? With Khan Young Lady, man. And stop putting Greek gods in the middle of your stories. Fine. Eucalypses. All right, I'll just go back to dot, dot, dot.
Starting point is 01:16:34 Yeah, pretty much. So I've been talking. You could have just paused for a second. That's what you could have done. Right. So I've been talking to Future since March, dot, dot, dot. I chilled with him in Miami and went to the studio with him or whatever. He was so cool and nice.
Starting point is 01:16:51 Like three days ago, he told me he wanted to see me. So I told him to book my flight. He told me to book it and he will give me my money back, which was a thousand dollars, which was a thousand percent of what I paid for my flight. Pause the story. I had to
Starting point is 01:17:11 read that sentence about 78 times. I'm going to keep it a bean. Did you read that before or after the text messages? Because that's a key part of this. Before. I didn't read any text. I didn't quite get that. I actually just kept reading. I understand what Future did, though.
Starting point is 01:17:27 Like, you pay for the flight because it's like I could send you a flight and you not show up. And it's like, no. Exactly, yeah. You pay for the flight. Get on to get here. And when you get here, I'll give you the money. So, so far, we are understanding Future's train of thought here. Yeah, absolutely.
Starting point is 01:17:41 All right. And it's nice she could book a first class. Maybe I would have thrown her a coach. But this is the part I need you guys to walk me through. He was so nice. He was so cool and nice. Well, they were at the studio, Joe. And in Miami.
Starting point is 01:18:01 It's hard not to be cool at a studio in Miami. What is wrong with this kind young lady? All right. Let's hard not to be cool at a studio in Miami. What is wrong with this kind young lady? Alright, let's see. Three days ago he told me he wanted to see me so I had to book my flight. He told me to book it and he will give me my money back which was $1,000 to know what I paid for my flight. I paid $550 for my flight
Starting point is 01:18:17 so when I got here, he's supposed to have been giving me $5,500. Pause story again. Why in the nigga I am jerking off? What the fuck is she talking about? That's some Foxy Brown affirmative action, man.
Starting point is 01:18:35 I know that that's not a thousand percent. That's not a thousand percent, Shamartez or kind young lady. I don't know where she got that from. Yeah, her math is good. Well, she just added the two zeros from a thousand and then put the five and the five in front of it. Yeah, she carried a five
Starting point is 01:18:49 somewhere. There was a remainder. She carried it over. Yeah, yeah, yeah. From the last year. The zero. She had bills, I know. He already booked my room and he had a key left for me at the front desk. I call that swag.
Starting point is 01:19:08 That is. So I get settled in all right man she loves getting settled she can't she can't no that was a different time okay she can't do shit without being settled right so i get settled in and text him see if i'm just reading that sounds like she understood what was happening. But whatever. What do I know? I get settled in and text him. He called me on FaceTime telling me I'm supposed to be waiting on him in the room with lingerie. Swag. For one, lingerie wasn't even on my mind when I was packing. I was thinking more of the studio vibe, my nigga. Wait, what is she contributing to the studio?
Starting point is 01:19:46 Let's pause for two seconds right here. She's in the studio for motivation. This is where I get it. Inspiration in lingerie. If she wasn't here during March Madness, then what does it matter? If you didn't contribute to that. And why wasn't lingerie on her mind? Is she naked?
Starting point is 01:20:04 How did she get to 5,500 before lingerie on her mind? Is she naked? How did she get to $5,500 before lingerie? That goes in with the $5,500. Yeah, that was like a value milk. That was like a package. $5,500? That comes with lingerie or a birthday suit. You should be butt ass. No, you actually want the lingerie, so it's like a little, you know what I mean?
Starting point is 01:20:24 By the way, this is why we did Trouble. He was being butt ass. Nah, you actually want the lingerie, so it's like a little... By the way, this is why we... Yeah, he was being a gentleman. That's a fact. This is why there was no exchange of anything sexual, guys. Let's look at this the right, correct way so we can get some money out of this podcast. He can't assume that something was going to happen. What if we're looking for a lingerie sponsor? He didn't assume anything.
Starting point is 01:20:40 He asked her if she could be dressed in some lingerie when he arrived. He's a man that's pretty busy. You know, you don't have much time when you get there. I mean, let me look at you a little bit. I paid. I guess that's my question to win. Well, just because he paid does not mean she owes him. That's true. No, that's true.
Starting point is 01:20:59 She doesn't owe him any sex. No, she doesn't owe him anything. Right. That's a fact. That's true. That is true. And we are not saying anything otherwise. Word. And Amazon.com, if you're listening,
Starting point is 01:21:11 we could put your ad right here. We could sponsor, we could get a lingerie sponsorship. Let me just say this. This is a big picture. Roy and Mo have been trying to sell out for at least four years now.
Starting point is 01:21:21 Oh yeah, absolutely. Y'all don't even fight it. No. No. No. I can't wait to sell out. Forget where I come from. Delete my mom's number.
Starting point is 01:21:29 All right. Back to the story. For one, lingerie wasn't on my mind when I was packing. I was thinking more of a studio vibe, my nigga. But anyway, I told him I wasn't on that type of time. We talk, but we don't talk enough for me to fuck him. Whoa. Pause. we talk but we don't talk enough for me to fuck him whoa pause when did Future
Starting point is 01:21:48 say anything about wanting to sleep with her that's true he asked for her to be in lingerie he could be a photographer that's true
Starting point is 01:21:56 cause they're in lingerie in hotels all the time you know Future takes pictures absolutely Raven takes Future's pictures he wears one of those those hats
Starting point is 01:22:03 the photographer hats yeah that Pharrell wears. Yeah. He looks like he owns a camera. I don't even know what hat you're talking about, but I'm rolling. He wears the Pharrell hats. Listen, I must say that if I'm going by Futures' music, he's displayed himself to be an extreme gentleman thus far in the story.
Starting point is 01:22:24 And I wonder if she's ever heard his music. Alright, let's finish this here. She was in the studio, Joe. Got it, got it, got it. She was there for the whole album. We talk, but we don't talk enough for me to fuck him, LOL. So Sunday, get here. Don't save it with that LOL.
Starting point is 01:22:38 Yeah, yeah, she tried it. I left to get something to eat and came back. Her bad. What? Bitch, you want to eat? Now you want to get something to eat and came back. Her bad. What? Bitch, you want to eat? Now you want to eat something? Take it out of that fucking $5,000.
Starting point is 01:22:51 You got some nerve being hungry. We didn't put lingerie on. All right. We never get fucked. Ever. Let's see. I left to get something to eat and came back. My keys stopped working, so I'm thinking I just put the key close to the phone or something like that.
Starting point is 01:23:08 More swag from future, by the way. And that's why it stopped working. I get to the front desk, and they was telling me it wasn't working because I was supposed to check out today. Time out, young lady. When you walked out the room to get something to eat, now I'm no expert. I'm assuming that little piece of paper they like to slide under the door, I'm assuming it was there. Right.
Starting point is 01:23:28 They don't put that deer just for the fuck of it. I feel like we lost a lot of hours, too, because we went from getting settled in to going out to eat to getting, like, you're out already? You had to check out in three hours? Yeah, a little while. And they was telling me it wasn't working, I was supposed to check out. I asked them how long the room was booked. All right, so you're nosy now. I asked them how long the room was booked. Alright so you're nosy now. I asked them how long the room was booked and they said
Starting point is 01:23:48 it was only booked for Saturday. Which means he had plans to have sex with me and put me out anyway and not give me the $5,500. That's right. The gall. Now let me just
Starting point is 01:24:04 play devil's advocate. The man that made my collection would never do this. He would never do this. Never. I don't believe it for one second. It was a gospel session that I went to. What is Future's real name? Nequavius?
Starting point is 01:24:20 It's something. It's something wild. It's something like that, right? Say it while I look it up and then say it to yourself in your head. Mad times. Let me see. I'm so happy I didn't have sex with him because he would have fucked me and still put me out. At least I can say I am not part of the collection.
Starting point is 01:24:39 Or he could have fucked you and it was good and he wanted to keep you around for another few days. I just don't know where I would be in life. Oh, my God. Emoji. Or he could have fucked you and it was good and he wanted to keep you around for another few days. I just don't know where I will be in life. Oh my God. When we just start talking about where they want to be in life. Life. Don't enlife me. Oh my.
Starting point is 01:24:54 And I don't care where you're going in life. I'm worried about this South Beach trip. What you do when you get on the flight is off me. Right. I would have been. I just don't know where I will be in life. And I can't see that word Navadious
Starting point is 01:25:07 About to go around Having sex with niggas Where I want to be Anything I do I work for It's cool though Because I have Whatever
Starting point is 01:25:14 Alright we got text messages They were scattered a bit I tried to get them in order In my phone I only have this one Do you have more Because you can do The dramatic read
Starting point is 01:25:24 Or you do the dramatic read. Or you do the dramatic read. Well, I'll start with the first one. Future says... He plays some Happy. Future says, Out West, where are you? Now...
Starting point is 01:25:36 She says, Austin. That's West. It's West enough. Yeah, Southwest. I can fly you. She then double texts us. That's a big part of this. She double texted. Oh, you thirsty? Future didn't reply. Oh, you thirsty. Don't double text, Southwest. I can fly you. She then double texts us. That's a big part of this. She double texted.
Starting point is 01:25:46 Oh, you thirsty? Future didn't reply. Oh, you thirsty. Don't double text, Future. How long are you in? Wait, wait. Don't double text. Does Future seem like the type to take a double text well?
Starting point is 01:26:00 Right, yeah. Yeah, what's wrong with her? Right. All right. She says, how long are you in Cali? Oh, yeah. She's trying to set it up. Future says,
Starting point is 01:26:09 when you get here. At this point, I'm paranoid and feel like our whole convo is in her group chat. Oh, a thousand percent. Yeah. She says,
Starting point is 01:26:17 book my flight with the shrug emoji. We're getting a piece of the puzzle right here. You book it. When you get here, I will give you your cash back 1,000%. Future doesn't have Venmo.
Starting point is 01:26:30 Future is saying... Or Cash App. Future is saying this. He will 1,000% pay her back. He is not saying he's going to inflate... 1,000% on her money. 1,000% on the dollar. She cut herself a little short with the $5,500.
Starting point is 01:26:44 If it's 1,000%, she definitely shorted herself with the $5,500. I just want to know why lingerie wasn't included in a $5,500 package. Right. She says, okay, when do I come? When you want. Saturday through Monday, question mark, bet. Well, when do you come? You're going to be coming Saturday through Monday.
Starting point is 01:27:03 That was sexual tone to me. That's sexual undertones. Wait, who said that, Future? be coming Saturday through Monday That was sexual tone to me That's sexual undertones Wait who said that Future Yeah Saturday through Monday Right No she said Saturday through Monday
Starting point is 01:27:12 Of course she did Future's not trying to spend Saturday Sunday And Monday And Monday morning With you Monday mornings are intense
Starting point is 01:27:21 Yeah Sunday mornings are intense Yeah y'all Well yeah but you can get by With looking at somebody you don't want to look at On a Sunday morning Sunday mornings are for cereal and like sports And it should be for people that you love too
Starting point is 01:27:35 You shouldn't spend Sunday morning Looking at the side chick or something like that I'm just like cleanse your soul Alright so this is what I think Is the next text exchange Because they were on a bunch of different tweets. Tell us. Future Texas her yesterday. Not yesterday as today.
Starting point is 01:27:52 Yesterday when this happened. I have my son today, but I'm going to break away to come see you for a sec. Also funny that he broke up a play date with his child. No, your son is just the automatic go-to line. Yeah, if you want to dip, you got to go back to get the kid. I'm going to come blow your back out, but got to get back to the child. He's such a good dad.
Starting point is 01:28:14 Come on, he made March Madness. She says, okay, cool. He replies, get sexy. I'm feeling future style, I ain't going to lie. I like people that are able to express themselves. For real, because he's not shy.
Starting point is 01:28:29 Hey, get sexy. I threw you the lingerie hint earlier. You dodged that, bitch. Well, first of all, no. She said that. There's no indication of these leaked text messages that he was asking for lingerie. All he said was get sexy. If she assumed that meant lingerie, I don't know where your mind is at. Her mind is clearly in the gutter.
Starting point is 01:28:46 What did she want? Because you know a lot of women would be like, oh, I'm not ready. Let me put makeup on. That might not even be that type of shit. He could have been talking about her
Starting point is 01:28:53 He's just being considerate to me. Her personality. Sounds like she might have been trying to target our good brother future. Damn. I think that's what... So she says,
Starting point is 01:29:01 I'm sorry. I'm not even on that type of time. I just wanted to chill tonight that's the type of time she was on? fly out? I just wanted to chill tonight that's a long time bitch you can chill at home
Starting point is 01:29:14 or a fly to Cali to chill? nah I have to fly out to chill but if your future do you take well future doesn't but regular people like me may take that as yeah you can come through
Starting point is 01:29:24 but nothing's gonna happen obviously something's going to happen anytime they say that yeah but Future doesn't, but regular people like me may take that as, yeah, you can come through, but nothing's going to happen. Obviously, something's going to happen anytime they say that. Yeah, but Future doesn't want to take that. I know, yeah. Future don't have. Wait, that's misogynistic. Yeah. That doesn't mean something's going to happen every time.
Starting point is 01:29:35 Yeah. Talk about my batting average. He didn't want to take that chance. So he sends the emoji with the hand over his face and says, catch you another time. No worries. Right. Well, now time out time. No worries. Right. Well, now time out. Let's really examine that.
Starting point is 01:29:50 No worries means there's mad worries. And no worries means you'll never hear me again. You'll never, I will never be a worry of yours. And you will never be a worry of mine. Worry has to never come up between us ever again, man.
Starting point is 01:30:06 Hey, I'm never texting you. Chicks don't know that that's what that means, huh? She know. Yeah, she know. She double texting like a motherfucker. Well, she replied, I'm going to assume with a quickness, you ain't coming here, question mark? No, man.
Starting point is 01:30:19 He said. Wait, why doesn't she know he's not coming anymore? What part of no worries did you not coming anymore and this is weird no means no right like I don't understand why women seem to have a hard time understanding no means no he's not coming anymore right you're right don't peer pressure him into that he doesn't want to be around you feel bad for not you know come on future replies you playing? Shake my head. She is playing.
Starting point is 01:30:47 Sounds like it. And why are you playing? Like, I have mad shows. She said. I don't have time for you to play. I have mad shows. She's playing, too. Why is she playing? Yeah, come on.
Starting point is 01:30:59 She's playing. She's playing. I didn't know that's what you wanted to do. I would have told you. Future has not said he wanted to do anything He's never said any of that Get your mind out of there Jesus Christ
Starting point is 01:31:11 Future then replies with No worries Yo this is Yo this is why it's just real tough To keep platonic friendships with women man Yeah I agree Like they always
Starting point is 01:31:21 Their minds in the gutter Yeah they wanna always take it somewhere else Yeah Like we're a piece of meat or something It's crazy Like they always Yeah they want to always take it somewhere else Yeah Like we're a piece of meat or something It's crazy She said Sorry Eclipses
Starting point is 01:31:34 I'm not that type Eclipses And eucalypses Future says Understood She says Okay cool So I won't see you at all No Eucalyptus. Future says, understood. She says, okay, cool. So I won't see you at all?
Starting point is 01:31:49 No. What the fuck? Right. He says, I'm good, love. Enjoy. Thought that was a really nice way to say goodbye. And still class personified. I was going to say, he responded to a lot of texts after he already said no words. Still nothing but a class acting gentleman
Starting point is 01:32:08 he displayed himself to be in such a tumultuous time. Yeah. And he's probably watching his son at the same time. That's tough. It's a lot. Yeah, man.
Starting point is 01:32:18 A round of applause for Future just for handling that with such style and grace. He did have to have a style and grace. Because you have to be careful to handle it with style and grace, especially with the screenshots. So no worries, Ma. You playing.
Starting point is 01:32:41 All right. Let's address Tinashe for a second. What do we address, Joe? Nobody seems to care about Tinashe but me. I thought it was me and Ben Simmons. A little while ago, a few weeks ago, I told y'all that this is when me came home, that it was indeed Tinashe who was supposed to ring the Liberty Bell or something over there in Philly. You know the bell
Starting point is 01:33:08 shit. Before the game. The playoff game. And they canceled Tanaji so that Meek could ring the bell. I felt bad for Tanaji. You think she really wanted to ring the bell? I mean a little bit. I know she wanted to ring the bell. Oh, so this is a deeper dig
Starting point is 01:33:23 on why she didn't ring the bell. You ain't this is a deeper dig on why she didn't ring the bell. Oh, no, no, no. You ain't got to worry about murder, Inc. Okay. This just establishes a deeper, darker criminal link. Right. So fast forward. Ben Simmons leaves Tanaje.
Starting point is 01:33:41 They broke up. How did I know they wouldn't make it to that second season? And you were really pulling for them. I remember. I was, Rory. They were one of the couples that had me truly believing in love. But the fact that they parted ways wasn't what was the shocking part Ben Simmons has gone on record accusing
Starting point is 01:34:05 Tanaje of doing Kardashian like shit like calling paparazzi to appear at places that they're supposed to be that would be a really great rap bar she wanted to roll out from dinner if it was a good dinner I'd get it
Starting point is 01:34:24 okay don't that sound like a tenace move honestly yeah if I had to say anyone is capable of that it's not yeah tonight he's definitely calling paparazzi whatever so I just I was sad about it that's why I'm sharing that's it well the irony him saying that is now he's allegedly with oh the Kardashians at least let it be real he wanted kardashian shit he didn't want to like kardashian like kardashian shit i might as well go get the bag yeah if i gotta deal with this i had a few people hitting me asking me if it were
Starting point is 01:34:57 time for people to put ariana grande on that mythical mystical list no i got a few and i think they were saying that because somebody... Because your buddy got tattooed on. You got initials or something tattooed on? Post Malone? No, the kid that was dissing Joe on... What's the name of the show? Oh, Pete Davidson.
Starting point is 01:35:18 Mad people were dissing me. Oh, that's true. Yeah, Pete Davidson. Oh, is he dating her now? He's dating her. I thought she was dating The Weeknd. What a loser. This is a gossipy, weird show. Yeah, I was going to say is he dating her now? He's dating her. I thought she was dating The Weeknd. What a loser. This is really
Starting point is 01:35:25 gossipy weird shit. Yeah, I was going to say, it doesn't really, I'm not convinced. That looks like a real loser couple. Yeah,
Starting point is 01:35:31 I'm not, I'm not dating her. No, I like her. She's a winner. Now, I like Ariana Grande too. I'm just confused
Starting point is 01:35:37 at who wrote the shut your mouth part in this new big record that Sin keeps playing. Huh? Come on and shut your mouth. Shut your mouth. Come on, we won't stop now.
Starting point is 01:35:49 Won't stop now. Wait. Wait a minute. Wait. All right, nah. What fucking record? Nah, nah, nah, nah, nah. Now I'm finding the record.
Starting point is 01:36:01 So how'd it go again? Don't do that part. I think we can guess it. I think we can guess it if you keep going. What fucking record is that? Ah, wait. How you spell your name? A,
Starting point is 01:36:09 shut your mouth, J, O, E, B, Eucalyptus, Z, Damn,
Starting point is 01:36:15 what's the name of that song? Oh, no, I'm buying it. Fuck y'all. Shut your mouth? No, that's going to say,
Starting point is 01:36:20 you've already previously purchased this record. Do you want to purchase it again? Shut your mouth? Maul. I'm trying to figure out. Shut the fuck up. That's a real record.
Starting point is 01:36:28 Y'all keep trying to make jokes. I've never heard that song in my life. I'm sorry. Me either. Shut your mouth. Maybe he didn't catch the melody. Here we go. Let me see.
Starting point is 01:36:37 No. That ain't shut your mouth. Hey. Are we ready for sleeper pics already? Hey give me the fucking thing you bitch ass niggas Now y'all got me repping for Ariana Grande Somehow No you shut your fucking mouth
Starting point is 01:36:53 I'm not gonna buy it I'm just gonna hope it's in the little snippet Oh man Yeah you hit hit those notes perfectly. If you shut the fuck up, this is really funny, Rory. Shut the fuck up. Listen, damn it. Shut your mouth.
Starting point is 01:37:16 Because this song is a hit, by the way. Look. Right here. Can't stop now Can't stop so shut your mouth Shut your mouth And if you don't know the name She sounds great. I mean, I think her album
Starting point is 01:37:31 Who the fuck wrote that stupid ass line in there? Fucking Can't stop so shut your mouth Shut I think Max Martin Your mouth I think Max Martin is doing that album. I think Pete Davidson in the studio.
Starting point is 01:37:41 It sounds like Pete Davidson and Pete Rosenberg. Shut your mouth Pete's wrote it Pete Davidson and Pete Rosenberg. Shut your mouth. The Peets wrote it. Pete and Pete? The Peets. The Peets. The Peets. The Peets definitely wrote, shut your mouth for Ariana Grande.
Starting point is 01:37:58 Oh, shit. Shut your mouth. Shut your mouth. Can't stop, so shut your mouth. Shut your mouth. That's the funny so shut your mouth. Shut your mouth. That's the funny part. Send things that's on Lexington, and I jump in on the background. At the bottom.
Starting point is 01:38:10 Okay, I got you. My bad. Well, we have real square up for real. I know I've been saying that for a few months. Because I said he adds the bottoms part. Yeah, but don't look at me and say- You do have a low voice. Don't look at me and say bottom.
Starting point is 01:38:19 You add the bottoms. Don't look at me and say low voice. I don't add none of that. My bad. What the fuck? All right. I don't add none of that. See what bet. What the fuck? All right. I don't add none of that. See what happens when I try to have fun with you guys?
Starting point is 01:38:28 He said he jumps in and gets to the back. Let me get rid of him. He definitely did the low voice in Boyz II Men when him and the fellas were singing outside. He couldn't wait for the talent show. Joe couldn't wait for the talent show in school to be Boyz II Men. Him and the fellas on Bergen singing Boyz II Men. Yeah, he wanted to have the cane. Remember when we got in the car and shit?
Starting point is 01:38:44 He wanted the cane and all that. Yo, nah, in high school, I think we did have to do an End of the Road rendition. Had to. And Derek and Amir and Solomon and them niggas, they tried to make me be the deep voice guy. You had to? Who else would you be? Nah, he didn't come into the third verse. Nah, fam.
Starting point is 01:38:59 That's when you get your shit off. No, no, no, no. Nah, nah. Y'all not getting two whole Wanya verses off Cause you know that's how The talent show was about The solo So you get your shit off
Starting point is 01:39:08 And then the next week Go to school Use the band Nah not at the third verse You could like not match You could just come in And be the But you could get your shit off
Starting point is 01:39:13 Cause he had a whole Like that talking part Yeah Baby Yeah you could You could talk to like You could do it You do it
Starting point is 01:39:20 It's funny that y'all laughing right But so Trey is putting music out And some of it is good And he's singing right So y'all saying this story And it's funny that y'all laughing right but so trey is putting music out and some of it is good and he's singing right so y'all saying this story and it's reminding me of when i was the best rapper in the streets of jersey city and it was like this open mic called the canton that they did in journal square and i was trying to use restaurant yeah i was trying to figure out how to like be impactful so i got up there and I sunk and I sung but a love by next but then I stopped it was camera for no I think Rocky has the video but
Starting point is 01:39:56 listen so I sung like the first verse of butter love and then I stopped it and it kicked a verse. That's a sick ass tradition. Oh, but alone. I stopped it and it kicked a verse. How did you get out of the journal square? How'd the verse go? Don't do that. I want to hear it. I don't remember the verse.
Starting point is 01:40:15 You definitely remember the verse. No, you know why I'm corny? That later became ma, ma, ma. No, you know why I'm corny? I don't remember the verse, but it was a story. He wanted a nigga. What about a girl? What about a girl?
Starting point is 01:40:29 He met Shorty on the street. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I know that story. I know that story. Because this is when the Lost Boys was popping. Yeah, he saw it at the bus stop. He wanted a name. He thought the Lost Boys was going to get Renee off.
Starting point is 01:40:40 And I wasn't going to try to make Sophia. Yo, everybody had a girl story. So LL met a bitch at the bus stop. I was getting Sophia off. LL had about seven bitches in one zone. Yeah, so I thought I would freak it by if I gave him a little bit. Nah, bro. And then Sophia.
Starting point is 01:40:58 That wasn't it. I'm sorry, bro. That didn't stick. It might have stuck. It didn't stick. I'm going to smoke. It didn't stick, man. I thought the verse was hard, but it was too long.
Starting point is 01:41:07 Yo, Rocky, send this video footage over ASAP, please. Somebody in Jersey City, I'm sure. That video was a big deal at one point. Because I think when Web and Nitty- Yeah, we need that. When someone's trying to diss you? No, when Web and Nitty was trying to make me be a hardcore killer rapper. And I was like, eh, let me tell you about this. Let me tell you killer rapper. Let me tell you about this.
Starting point is 01:41:25 Let me tell you about this girl that I met my way. Around my way. Yeah, yeah. Definitely around my way. Alright, go ahead. Smoke. I'm trying to figure out the verse, man. Let me tell you about this girl, Sophia, I met around my way one day. That's how he kicked it on But I Love Her.
Starting point is 01:41:43 He definitely ran away in day. I'm not putting one day in a verse. Yeah, definitely. One day. I met her one day. Does anybody, speaking of that, not speaking of that. What's Sophia rhymed with? I don't know. It wasn't even really Sophia.
Starting point is 01:41:55 It was some other bitch that died at the end of the song. Sophia put another name on Nokia. Y'all know me at 17. The chick was depressed. Sophia was sad. The chick was depressed Sophia was sad The chick was depressed Anybody know what Pink cookies in a plastic bag was When he put that out
Starting point is 01:42:11 What LL It's pussy and I think Condom Yeah but did you know that Then though I think one of the older dudes On my block told me
Starting point is 01:42:19 I didn't know when I first heard it though What type of weirdo is LL Pink cookies in a plastic bag getting crushed by a building relax with Big L.A. that was the hook on his single
Starting point is 01:42:29 that beat was hard too alright so can't stop so shut your mouth shut you're two sleepers in already don't do that
Starting point is 01:42:38 don't do that don't do that alright hold on let me see what's going on here do I care about that Ty, Jeremiah that. Don't do that. Alright, hold on. Let me see what's going on here. Do I care about that? What do y'all think
Starting point is 01:42:50 about group FaceTime? Do we have to care about that? I don't like when people FaceTime me now, so why do I give a fuck about Apple wanting you to see 32 other people? 32 is OD. I don't even know 32 people. Word. I don't want 32 people fitting on your screen. All that is is that house party app that drains your battery
Starting point is 01:43:06 in like 10 minutes. I think it's a novel little idea, but I don't know why 32. Well, you can record your screen now, right? So this is going to bring more messiness to the timeline. This is going to be great. Oh, you know what else was funny that all the losers were doing? I'm glad that phase passed when they were four squaring every
Starting point is 01:43:22 damn thing. Hey, guys, just got to Kennedy Airport. Fourare, second floor, United. Are you promoting your fly United? Tell anybody who you are. And while I'm off on a tangent, I feel bad that I have to feel like a hype beast for wearing champion. That's crazy. Well, no. I feel a way about that, honestly.
Starting point is 01:43:43 I think it's okay. I rationalize myself I do the small C From what it used to be The big C is a little Too high He's got a big C This is the big C
Starting point is 01:43:52 He's got the big C I think the big C Is the hype beast The big C is corny right No I'm not into the big C No that's not corny It's hard though Is it hype beasting
Starting point is 01:43:59 Yeah now yeah I wouldn't foot action Something to buy my kids Some sneakers And just figure I'd get a pair They're on sale I have mixed feelings Cause I'm happy Cause I love champion I'm glad it's back Now, yeah. I wouldn't foot action or something to buy my kids some sneakers and just figured I'd get a pair. They're on sale. I have mixed feelings because I'm happy
Starting point is 01:44:07 because I love Champion. I'm glad it's back, kind of, but it never really left. It never left. But I shouldn't be a hype beast for wearing shit that the hype beasts are wearing now
Starting point is 01:44:16 that we were wearing in the 90s and the 80s. I agree. And I still want to be an Olaf shorts. Those got to come back. With pockets, though. Yes.
Starting point is 01:44:26 Damn, now, man, you just said that. That's a great idea, come back with pockets though yes damn now man you just said that that's a great idea Olaf's pockets alright whatever table that idea whoa whoa whoa what the fuck was that oh I thought it was
Starting point is 01:44:35 music I wasn't supposed to play oh yeah it is where's that coming from alright it's off Let me see future Kanye lady Ben Simmons and Tanaji Talib accused of trying to get by
Starting point is 01:44:53 You should be a headline writer Get it? Talib made goodbye We got it, Joe Got the poor girl's master Get that girl a fucking master, Talib Get it? T'Lib made goodbye. We got it, Joe. Thank you. It got the poor girl's masters. Get that girl a fucking master, T'Lib. T'Lib.
Starting point is 01:45:10 Get your ass on out of here. You know, T'Lib, yeah, the lyrics stick to your ribs. Yeah. That's our favorite rapper. We see what's... Oh, man, T'Lib's a nasty fuck. They coming for everybody. Hey, first of all, T'Lib, if you're listening,
Starting point is 01:45:30 because somehow this podcast always seems to make its way to people we're talking about, we are joking. We saw your press release. We saw you deny everything. So that's great. Just so happens that you made the song get by. And it perfectly goes with this allegation. That is all. how we feel about you we fuck with you and we do like goodbye and drop the beat to say penis enlargers on that song as well which i always found a little odd but i don't even remember
Starting point is 01:45:57 that that's in the second verse wait you know the verses of what song are we talking you don't know the verse of goodbye well? Well, which one? Of Talib Kweli, Get By. Is there another Get By? There's the remix. The remix got played a lot. Sometimes there's a remix that confuses me. So I don't know if I remember the original, like you're saying.
Starting point is 01:46:17 Okay. Yeah, I don't remember that drop, but it's in there. That's the verse they don't play in the clubs. That's the one D-Nice skips. And they mix it to the light by then. The light always follows goodbye on the set. Now we're at times. Go ahead, Common.
Starting point is 01:46:39 Oh, we're in need. All right. Okay. We really didn't care about group FaceTime. It's going to drain your battery. Nobody ain't going to be doing that shit. It's going to drain your battery. That shit is going to... Nobody ain't going to be doing that shit. It's going to be a lot of jokes. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:46:50 How are you going to be able to watch? Is it going to square them up? It's like boxes. Yeah, it's like little squares. Why 32? 32 is a lot. Up to 32. We couldn't start at maybe four and then see where it goes from there?
Starting point is 01:47:03 Word. 32 is... I'm not 32. I don't even have 32 people on a group chat. How would you... Yeah, I don't call 32 people. I'm not answering any 32. I'm not answering more than one person's FaceTime.
Starting point is 01:47:13 That's my girl. Like someone's FaceTiming me, they also have 17 people with them. That's like the plus one, plus one epidemic on the phone. Yeah, better. Fam. You better have a list. Word. A nigga FaceTime.
Starting point is 01:47:24 Fam, I'm not the FaceTime dude. I don't want to FaceTime nobody. I'm not a list of words a nigga FaceTime fam I'm not the FaceTime dude I don't wanna FaceTime nobody I'm not a FaceTimer at all or 32 of y'all fuck that
Starting point is 01:47:31 yeah I'm just confused about that I don't understand um something else I thought was important what was it did I write it or no
Starting point is 01:47:39 Apple this Apple publishing thing is really important but it's it's too important for me to just delve into at the 108th minute
Starting point is 01:47:49 of our podcast wait I missed they just started a publishing company was that in their keynote shit they did the other day no
Starting point is 01:47:57 I didn't see it there they just have everyone's publishing and thought hey maybe we should put an LLC to this no I think it's I think there's a deeper, darker criminal link. Yo, Apple already takes 33% of everything.
Starting point is 01:48:13 Creators out there, I got a special edition podcast coming to you guys soon just so I can really talk to you all about the landscape and some things that are happening and some information that you might need and shit like this whole Apple publishing thing. Sounds crazy. Publishing can get a little tricky and confusing,
Starting point is 01:48:33 especially for fans. I'm going to do my best to help y'all. Just not right now, because that's way too important. They're already taking a third off. Rip, they want the pub now too. Y'all, it's crazy. Swag. Man, one way to look at No, too young. It's crazy. Swag.
Starting point is 01:48:46 One way to look at it, I'm not going to assume I know what they're about to do. I just know that if that's happening, they're preparing to do something. Preparing to take all your shit. You're really optimistic. Yeah, so we won't talk about the Apple publishing thing.
Starting point is 01:49:04 Let's see here I guess that whole J.R. Smith thing was a big deal do you have do you have any insider sports topics for us
Starting point is 01:49:13 let me ask y'all did y'all see the long unedited raw footage of after that J.R. Smith play
Starting point is 01:49:21 the entire time out I watched all six minutes you saw it more? Mm-hmm. Well, what did y'all think about that? That was it. They knew it was over. Fuck overtime.
Starting point is 01:49:30 That killed it. I know we're about to lose this game. I was kind of, I guess I'm more so talking about LeBron's reaction when he found out that they did indeed have a timeout. I think he was mad at Tyronn Lue. Well, I was going to ask y'all, yeah, because I'm not a huge basketball guy. Why was no one mad at the coach? I think he was mad at Tyronn Lue. Well, I was going to ask you all, yeah, because I'm not a huge basketball guy. Why was no one mad at the coach? I think he was mad at the coach.
Starting point is 01:49:49 He was mad at the coach. Okay. Well, I'm saying everyone else. It was all J.R. Smith. Well, I think people were mad at just all parties. Yeah. George Hill missing the free throw. J.R. Smith.
Starting point is 01:49:58 J.R. Smithing. You can't be mad at the missed free throws. People miss free throws, but J.R. Smith fucked up. Yeah, the missed free throw wasn't the... J.R. just needs... He has to know game situation. How do you not know what situation is it? I didn't know the score.
Starting point is 01:50:14 I mean, I think... Everybody was killing him. I was like, I got to feel this nigga. How do you not know the score at that moment? It's not easy to not know the score at that moment. I'm talking about for me, not for him.? Man, it's easy to not know the score at that moment. No way. I'm talking about for me, not for him.
Starting point is 01:50:29 For him, he's supposed to know everything. As soon as he rebounded that ball, he should have known exactly the score. He should have called a timeout or at least went up with it. Yeah, that's just uncalled for. There's no excuse for that. And then he said he didn't. What did he say after the game that he wasn't confused about what the score was? He said some bullshit. Yeah, he said some bullshit.
Starting point is 01:50:46 It was like, and then Tyronn Lue said, yeah, he told me that he didn't know what the score was. He walked it back. He walked it back. It's like, come on, man. He thought they were up by one. Yeah, I get why LeBron is frustrated. Because if LeBron is thinking, if I'm that locked in,
Starting point is 01:50:59 my teammates should be that locked in as well. So I get it. That's not even like that locked in. Like knowing the score is pretty. That's simple shit. That's not even that locked in. Knowing the score is pretty... That's simple shit. That's just like, I know what the score is. LeBron, I saw they had done a press conference and they were asking him the criticism about him not being a leader
Starting point is 01:51:14 and all that shit. He's like, we in the finals. I shouldn't have to do that. I shouldn't have to tell you the score. NBA finals. Yeah, not at this point. I shouldn't have to tell you the score game time situation. We're professional basketball players. That was the worst basketball player I've ever seen. It's up there. As far as biggest moments, it's up there.
Starting point is 01:51:31 That and Chris Webber are neck and neck, but that beats Chris Webber. I was about to say the Chris Webber timeout might still have it. I don't give a – The Chris Webber one is only bigger. The Chris Webber one might be worse because NCAA is one game. That's true. But I don't give a pass. It was terrible.
Starting point is 01:51:50 But keeping track of timeouts is a little different from not keeping track of the score. Knowing the actual score. Like, that's crazy. Yeah, not knowing the score is retarded. That's crazy. That's crazy. Now that I'm thinking about the worst sports plays ever, I'm really glad that that Charles Smith clip stopped being played every day.
Starting point is 01:52:08 When he was getting blocked under the rim? When he was getting fouled, bitch-ass nigga. No, he didn't get fouled. He did get fouled. He didn't get fouled. Yeah, you know what's funny? And y'all going to kill me because of how I defend Sean Bradley? We're back to Sean Bradley.
Starting point is 01:52:21 No, this one might be a little worse. I didn't think Sean Smith was as bad as everybody else did. He was telling us. John Smith could hit the 10 to 15 footer. Yeah, he wasn't bad. He could rebound. He was nice on the Clippers. Yeah, he wasn't bad.
Starting point is 01:52:34 On the Clippers, he was real nice. Yo, the Clippers had a habit of just having all the niggas when they was real nice. And the Knicks had a habit of getting everybody. Ron Harper. Yep. Glenn Rice? Am I off? No.
Starting point is 01:52:46 Darius Miles. Wait, where did Glenn Rice start? Glenn Rice started in Miami. Quentin Richardson. Miami or Hornets? Miami or Charlotte? Miami. He started with Charlotte and then he went to Miami.
Starting point is 01:52:57 There's somebody else. Why do I feel like? I think he started with Miami. Remember Glenn Rice on the Knicks? Oh, get me out of the Knicks conversation. The Knicks always get players. Remember Ben Baker on the Knicks? Oh, get me out of the Knicks conversation. The Knicks always get players. Remember Ben Baker on the Knicks? The Knicks always get players when they're like
Starting point is 01:53:10 past the prime. What's their news go? Let's get them over here. What's homeboy? Max them out too though. They're going to max you on the way out. You know, Jerome James. Oh my God. Antonio McDyess. No, listen, real quick, real quick, and then let's never discuss the Knicks again. The, the, the, and and then let's never discuss the Knicks again.
Starting point is 01:53:26 The, and let me get this right, the Eddie Griffin trade. Rest in peace. Oh, I'm sorry. I meant Eddie Curry. Yes, rest in peace, Eddie Griffin got hit by the train, right? The Eddie Curry trade where the Knicks traded two picks. Those picks turned out to be LaMarcus Aldridge and there's one more big one. Fuck.
Starting point is 01:53:58 And I can't tell if they want to look it up. It was like, damn, the Knicks have done some bonehead shit. I don't remember right now. But, okay, off the Knicks. Is there anything else that we're going to miss? Father's Day is coming. Women don't give a fuck. Which I think about.
Starting point is 01:54:11 We already know. On a sports note, the Eagles not going to the White House. And the White House saying, fuck y'all. You ain't seen any of this? Diversion. Diversion yet again. Diversion yet again to steer attention away from some of the things he's doing that are really important. What did Maul say?
Starting point is 01:54:30 I missed it. He said, fuck the NFL. Oh, yeah, Maul. I think I'm joining the boycott this year. You should. It's clear as day what they doing. It's clear as day. Now it's like, come on, man.
Starting point is 01:54:38 How y'all still support that shit? Yeah. See, the NBA, they was like, listen, the Warriors And the Cavs Said neither one of us Will be going to the White House Is it supporting If I still search Saquon Barkley's name On Twitter
Starting point is 01:54:50 Yes it is Nah Cause I'm not really Watching nothing It's supporting the NFL If you go to First Row Sports I might give you a pass
Starting point is 01:54:57 Bootleg the shit out of it See I'm down for that How long do you give Giants fans to call For Saquon Barkley's head this season? Three games. No, no way. No way.
Starting point is 01:55:09 He's got to pass. Because New York is so forgiving. Right. No, no, no, no. But in football, they will hang the line before they hang him. He's got, like, a few lines of defense. That's true. They'll hang the line.
Starting point is 01:55:20 We know what's going on. And New York be wanting to root for niggas. Like, we wanted to root for Orleans on Darkwater. We wanted to root for, what's his name, Rashard Jennings when he came over. Like, New York wants to root for people. You see what we did for Jeremy Lin. More thought I was a... Listen, I bought the shirt.
Starting point is 01:55:40 Don't do that. That was a great two weeks. It was a great two weeks. Was you with me when I hopped out in traffic to go get the Jeremy Lin t-shirt? I was. I definitely got one at the Models on 34th. Yeah. It was my thing.
Starting point is 01:55:52 It was on the way up to the tunnel. I was like. On my way to the path, I definitely said, oh, let me get that one. I thought it was the wave. It was Lin Sanity. Yeah. It was a good time in the city. He fooled the Nets.
Starting point is 01:56:05 Have y'all. He fooled the Nets Have y'all Everybody fooled the Nets I'm still trying to find out What dirt Billy King had on everybody But we'll talk about that later What'd you say Roy? Have y'all been following This Chief Keef thing That happened in New York
Starting point is 01:56:14 Last week? I just heard he got shot at In Times Square Which is He's brave He ain't even been shot at They shot in the vicinity of him The hotel got hit
Starting point is 01:56:24 Yeah Bullet holes in the W right him. The hotel got hit. Yeah. Bullet holes in the W right now. The ceiling of the hotel. Like 50 floors up. And I'm not saying that to be funny. I do believe that sometimes you do that just to send a message. I'm just saying I don't believe anybody was trying to kill Chief Keef at 6 a.m.
Starting point is 01:56:41 in front of the W on 47th or whatever, 52nd, wherever that was. 55th. Letting the blicky off down there is crazy. That's some brave. There's cameras everywhere. There's police everywhere. That's why I'm saying I'm so thankful to be pussy today. I can't understand niggas. They're shooting in the wildest times.
Starting point is 01:56:55 Yeah, that's crazy. Shooting a gun down there is crazy. In Times Square. Y'all are incriminating yourself. You're begging to go to jail. Let me just tell y'all the uh the police are tracking everything that all of you guys are doing on the internet and that's it you're just making yourself hot i say that uh and uh while keeping all of y'all in my prayers man because it just looks rough
Starting point is 01:57:16 like i probably hit you with some terrorism shit shooting down there yeah hell yeah for sure oh no you're gonna rack up some fucking charges playing around down there. New York's gun laws are bad enough. Don't do it there. Yeah. Yeah, I'm cool. Cool on that. What else you got for us, Rory?
Starting point is 01:57:35 What did you guys think about Kim going to discuss prison reform at the White House? Cy High said, Of course she can Her father was a lawyer My mom works in healthcare I should definitely So you're gonna operate on somebody Fuck yeah My mom worked for Verizon
Starting point is 01:57:52 I still gotta pay my cable Phone bill What the fuck is he talking about Her dad was a lawyer Well I don't know What do you think Cause he's a fucking Idiot attention celebrity
Starting point is 01:58:02 Who Maybe that's Trump Maybe that's the only people That could talk to him. No. I'm just trying to think of it some other way. No. This was all part of Kanye's
Starting point is 01:58:11 meeting with Trump earlier last year. Let's get Kim in there. Yeah. Kanye snitched on Kim on that album that I don't see anyone talking about.
Starting point is 01:58:19 What did he say? He has a specific track talking about when he was at TMZ saying that Kim called him when he said that slavery was a choice shit. And Kim was hysterical saying, you're going to ruin us all. But then Kim was on Twitter saying, I don't agree with my husband's
Starting point is 01:58:34 views. No. You fucking the money up, Kanye. He snitched on her in the song. You fucking the money up. Stop talking. Yeah, word. So it's not about what he said. It's about the consequences that it had. He snitched on her right away with saying that whole moral shit is out the window.
Starting point is 01:58:50 Damn, she don't divorce this nigga, man. Well, he said she could do that, but she's not going away. Which I think is the hook of the song. Oh, that a really... Charlie sang that thing, too. I think Charlie Wilson definitely sang the hook.
Starting point is 01:59:04 Yeah, don't try to get Charlie Wilson to get us to be down with you again nah yeah like don't bring the soul brother
Starting point is 01:59:09 no the one record I really do like on the album the no mistake shit Charlie Wilson and Ty Dolla $ign together
Starting point is 01:59:15 I couldn't help does Rory work for Complex why does he keep getting to this Kanye album what you trying to get away from
Starting point is 01:59:21 he loved the album I loved it fine all 17 minutes get your shit off after everything. He loved the album. I loved it. Fine. All 17 minutes of it. Get your shit off. After everything I just shitted on now I loved it.
Starting point is 01:59:29 All 17 minutes of it. No I am hype about the album. Well no we have a lot of listeners that listen to the album and look for it and I was the one that
Starting point is 01:59:36 listened to it so I provided some insight. I am hype about the Tiana shit. I am. She played a snippet. Oh. No.
Starting point is 01:59:43 Well her last album I thought was real good. And she played it. Pass me that. I'm just not looking forward to the hype that's going to come around. Anything in this. I will not allow you to do that, Parks. Why?
Starting point is 01:59:54 A Tiana Taylor project has never come, and nobody ever thought it was coming with hype. Tiana Taylor. But in this little thing that they have going on right now, all these albums are going to be classics off-ramp. She becomes part of that whole mold when you're with Nas and Kanye. Right. That's Tiana? That's from the new shit, supposedly.
Starting point is 02:00:23 She sound like Tiana. Yeah, that sounds like her. She had the best song on Cru new shit, supposedly. She sound like J.S.R. Yeah, I'm right there. She had the best song on Cruel Summer, too. She's super talented. I said it was going to be a big year for her. Yeah, but they all hear this vibe, though. Yeah, that sounds great. Don't ask me why, but I watched like five episodes of her and Iman's show.
Starting point is 02:00:44 They have a really great show. I think the way they depicted that show was really dope. I don't know why I sat there and watched five episodes. It was just on, and I was like, let me see what Tiana doing. But they have a really dope show. I think that they're being depicted. No, you was watching Love & Hip Hop, then that came on. You was getting into your Monday night flow.
Starting point is 02:01:01 No, it wasn't. It was this weekend. Your Monday night marathon. No, no. Next thing you know, it's 4 a.m. Basketball wives, Shawnee in them. No, it wasn't. It was this weekend. Your Monday night marathon. No, no. Next thing you know, it's 4 a.m. Basketball wives, Shawnee in them.
Starting point is 02:01:08 No, it was this weekend. Once I saw Tiana's, let me watch it because she had a hat on it I thought was dope. Oh, that's a great question. All right, fuck what you're talking about.
Starting point is 02:01:15 Give me the TV, give me the block of TV that y'all had to be in front of the TV for at some point in your life. Was it TGIF? Huh? When Full House and Family Matters was rolling out back to back?
Starting point is 02:01:29 That was one of them. Yeah, that was one of them. I know for me. Sunday Night HBO always had something. I hate when Rory does this. Yeah, I did not have HBO. I'd be trying for all of us to dig on our bag, and he pulls out some shit from a few years ago.
Starting point is 02:01:41 Yeah, Breaking Bad. I had to see Breaking Bad when it was out. A few years ago? Sopranos was a lot of years ago. Yeah, Breaking Bad. I had to see Breaking Bad when it was out. A few years ago. Sopranos was a lot of years ago. Yeah. That was a Sunday night HBO shit that everyone stood there for. I didn't have HBO as a kid, man.
Starting point is 02:01:56 You weren't a kid when Sopranos came out. Parks is at his Levi's. Yeah, that's what I'm talking about. St. Levi's. St. One's. They got on his Mason Ramseys. His Masons.
Starting point is 02:02:07 And his Nirvana shirt. All right. I'm done. I'm done with this shit, man. What are we doing? We got sleepers. Yeah. Are we missing them?
Starting point is 02:02:16 Didn't you have questions? The gender war questions? Oh, I had a question that I wanted to ask y'all last week when Rhymefest and Kim Kardashian were going back and forth but push it drop so I lost it but my question was how do y'all feel where do y'all stand on your
Starting point is 02:02:34 girlfriend checking your homeboys and vice versa or your homeboys checking your girlfriend well those are two totally different things they're in the same ballpark how so I think they're in the same ballpark. How so? They're in the same ballpark. I think they're exactly the same, so tell me. I think your homeboy talking to your girl is a really interesting line on how things can be said.
Starting point is 02:02:55 What you mean? Elaborate. At no point should my homeboy ever feel comfortable checking my girl. That's what I'm saying. You talk to me and you'll never say nothing to her. And same to her. Yeah. Same to her.
Starting point is 02:03:08 You got a problem with one of my homeboys, you say it to me. You don't never address my homeboy. Don't put me in the middle of that. But women... Women do not address... Can be a bit more erratic
Starting point is 02:03:16 in those situations and that's my homeboy. He's supposed to speak to me. She may not be friends with him. I'm friends with you. So she might come quick off the hip with something instead of thinking about talking to me about it. I'm not be friends with him. I'm friends with you. So she might come quick off the hip with something instead of thinking about talking to me about it.
Starting point is 02:03:28 I'm just thinking how women behave and what I've seen in the past. And in that instance, I would expect my dude friend to just let it go. And you deal with it with me later. Yeah, you never get into any type of
Starting point is 02:03:43 conversation like that with your homeboy's girl. I've definitely snuffed my friend for yelling at my girl crazy. But then a lot of dudes, you know, you got these new, these hybrid niggas now where you say something to them about their girl and they'll cut you off. And he just met her last summer and y'all grew up together for 14 years and he'll cut you off now because you said, yo, listen, your girl was kind of out of line when she said that to me the other night like well how much bond building was there in the 14 years that we were friends if you know if i know somebody for four if we're friends for 14 years i would think that i can tell you something about your girl that she did was wrong amongst you and i and you're not gonna cut me off let me do more i ain't gonna lie more you were the exact friend that would get cut
Starting point is 02:04:25 off in that instance yeah because niggas is suckers i'm a rare breed niggas and suckers out here that's why yo maul but tell me when i went when have i ever been wrong when i told one of my niggas about a girl they was dealing with but maul is the friend where you could be madly in love like still have feelings for her. And here comes Maul to tell you all of her ugly truths. Even if it's true, it's just a bad time. But you still need that friend.
Starting point is 02:04:52 You do need that friend. Why is that a bad time? If you got a girl, if I see your girl out in the club kissing and grinding on another dude. You tell me.
Starting point is 02:05:01 You better fucking tell me. This is what I'm saying. Some dudes, I told them shit like that and they cut me off that's great yeah but if i see you like what's the reason i've been trying to tell me the truth just stop fucking with me like yo they rather be with the which is fine fam be with your girl but don't say that i don't ever want it to be a thing where later it comes out you caught your girl cheating and i'm like young fam i knew she was cheating on you. Because then it's like, damn, what type of friend am I?
Starting point is 02:05:28 If I knew my man was getting cheated on, I'm not going to tell him. You got to tell your man when he's being cheated on when his girl is doing something foul. That's all that was going down over at the X Bar. I'm just saying, like, that's what you got to tell your man. Like, yo, listen, your girl is foul. But then if you cut me off, I'm looking at you like, oh, he's a weirdo. Like, fuck you cutting me off. Sometimes dudes have ulterior motives, you know what I'm saying,
Starting point is 02:05:50 where they might like the girl or something. Shit gets kind of weird sometimes. That's not your friend. Yeah, no doubt, 100%. I've seen those situations before. I've had those situations before. And dudes are suckers, man. That's the bottom line. These new dudes are suckers out here.
Starting point is 02:06:04 I don't really have nothing else to say outside of, do y'all know that kids are wearing sunglasses in their prom pictures today? That's the least of the crazy shit that they're doing. I'll take the sunglasses. I've seen somebody pull up to their prom in the back of an ambulance like they were dead because they were so fresh. I saw that picture too. That sounds ill.

That's K-Forest, Blue Moon.
Starting point is 02:21:32 It's off that Forest Fire 2 project. I like K-Forest. Well, I can tell you he's talented, man. Yeah, he is. How do you guys feel about Rihanna being an icon for getting tired of her man, but Cameron can't get tired of his girl? Double standard, bro. Yeah, but I'm in the Navy. Have you seen Rihanna before?
Starting point is 02:21:52 That's true. I'm in the Navy. She looks better than Cam. I'm rolling with Riri on that one. I've been hiding where y'all can see me. The skybox is right next to Riri's. I'm rolling with RiRi on that one. I've been hiding where y'all can see me. The skybox is right next to RiRi's. Who said that?
Starting point is 02:22:12 Joe is stupid, man. I listen to lyrics. I know you do. It's just the way you recite them. I've been hiding where y'all can see me. Do you guys care that PNB Rock just responded to Chief Keef's homie dressing him? Excuse me? Just reading headlines, man. Those are just words.
Starting point is 02:22:28 Well, yeah, but repeat it. PNB responds to Chief Keef's homie dissing him. I've read that as dressing him. That's why I wanted to read it. Well, what did he say? Let's find out. I would ignore that one if I were you, PNB. I saw you when you were jumping home, boy.
Starting point is 02:22:46 Well, I do want to know. I wouldn't address Chief Keef. His word. PNB is on. I love Sosa, man. I do. I fuck with Keef. I do, too.
Starting point is 02:22:57 You got to. I fuck with Keef ever since that story when Interscope was real big on him and him and 50 was supposed to shoot some video. He was just like, nah. He left 50 was supposed to shoot some video and he left 50 and Jimmy Iovino and all the niggas just staying around for 17 hours in the desert. Yeah, they wasn't even like downtown LA. They was in the desert.
Starting point is 02:23:13 Wait, and then I went to, I think I was at Sugar Daddy's one night and you know I get there super early so it was like 10 o'clock and this was when I Don't Like was just out. All the security was scrambling because Chief Keef was booked there tonight, but he was coming with 95
Starting point is 02:23:29 people. They couldn't figure out what they should do about it. I said, I really like this kid's energy. I'm going home. Probably a smart move. I really want to support him, but I'm out. PNB is here with his friends with a lot of automatic rifles on camera.
Starting point is 02:23:48 See this? Shout out to Charek. Listen, right? I fuck with Charek. But listen, I'm from Philly. Y'all niggas got the wrong niggas. Listen, I don't do none of that internet shit, bro. What the fuck y'all niggas talking about?
Starting point is 02:23:57 Pause this. Pause this. You don't do the internet shit, but that's on the... And I'm not teasing these young men. Neither am I. Because they have weapons that look powerful. But what I'm saying is... Show more.
Starting point is 02:24:13 What I'm saying is I just don't understand famous kids incriminating themselves on the internet for the police. These look to be fully automatic weapons. They don't look like toys or props. Those look like the real thing. There's some Call of Duty shit right there. And not even in the first level of Call of Duty. You got to pass a few levels to get those guns. Let's not joke around for two seconds.
Starting point is 02:24:43 I just want one of the young tough kids to explain to me why they're doing this like the cops are telling you where they're looking whatever i don't know i'm minding my business uh i think we covered everything i want to end with a brand new brand new tray button this one is called me down i don't know where he's getting the content for these songs, but fuck it. Until next time, I'll talk to y'all next week. Peace, love, and love and happiness. Bim, bim!
Starting point is 02:25:16 Come on, man. Had enough of your bass lines today. That wasn't my bass line. Roy, you're pretty funny today, man. I'm going to square up with you a mall. I didn't play my pretty funny today, man. I'm going to square up with you a mall. I let you play my kid's record, man. My kid is rapping. I listened to it on the way here.
Starting point is 02:25:33 I liked it. This is not my sleeper. This is your third sleeper today. It's my son, man. Why don't you have a heart I know some women that only fuck with me Cause I'm rocking The only women that don't even hear me when I'm talking
Starting point is 02:25:52 Took you a minute and some hating But look now you're here Give you a couple of weeks I bet you disappear I dropped the top of a foot away Couple seconds from your crib Might just drop by real quick This Trey Button hold me down featuring Moon, featuring Moon You gotta hold it down, gotta hold it down Same way that I hold it down Gotta hold it down Same way that I hold it down for good
Starting point is 02:26:29 Baby, daddy gon' let me down I try to make it right I'm never trying to fight Trey, come to your dad, man. Let me send this shit to Parks and get it right. I need you to put me down Put me down I know some women I only use for the entertainment Some basic bitches that only stay cause they thought I'd make it Some women that's only beautiful when I see
Starting point is 02:27:03 them naked Look in the mirror to see the trophy and I gotta face it My life is messy, erase the pain with bottles of vodka Can't fuck with girls till they play me so they can meet my father I used to text them and leave, didn't care about their feelings It's funny cause I'm the only one to hear all their problems I'm problematic, I'm problematic They complimented my flaws, filled me with satisfaction And people question why I use women that don't ever do shit
Starting point is 02:27:26 The feeling I'm my own confidence, nigga, I gotta have it I gotta love it, they gotta love it I try to hide my love life from the general public And when we argue, I just try to ignore the issue at hand Instead of keep you there, fucking to the bottom of it Maybe I'm just wrong, I couldn't say this to your face Had to explain through songs And every time you tell me that, maybe I'm just wrong, I couldn't say this to your face, had to explain through songs, and every time you tell me that you think I'm playing you too,
Starting point is 02:27:49 it's just a thought of maybe I shouldn't have met her at all, yeah, I know some women I only use for the entertainment, it's the basic bitches that only stay cause they thought I'd make it, some women that's only beautiful when I see them naked, look in the mirror to see the truth and I gotta face it. When I see I'm naked Look in the mirror to say the truth And I gotta face it Put me down That is definitely a button. He's having women problems already. But why is he having women problems if he just started fucking her, though?
Starting point is 02:28:43 I mean... Yeah, that's when the problems start. He's trying to... I mean, well's when the problems start. He's trying to, I mean, well, he is the opposite of his pops. He's trying to keep his relationship away
Starting point is 02:28:49 from the general public. I heard a lot of Joe. That's what he said he's doing. I heard a lot of Joe swag up in here. I ain't gonna lie. Yeah. It's genetic.
Starting point is 02:28:57 Yeah. He was definitely trying to listen to women's problems and stuff. That's definitely your swag. Yeah. A little therapeutic. A little therapy for these hoes.
Starting point is 02:29:06 Get them, Trey. Make me proud.
