Episode Date: August 8, 2018

Recently, the term culture vulture has been used heavily. Joe, Rory, and Mal debate if Lyor Cohen’s latest interview determines if he is a “culture vulture” (14:22). The guys also share their th...oughts on all of the new music that was released starting with Travis Scott’s “Astroworld” (40:32). Most would agree Fabolous is well dressed but Joe gives him a call to discuss an outfit that Mal deemed questionable (1:08:57). And Joe also calls Dame Dash to hear his definition of a “culture vulture” and things heat up quick (1:34:00). Starting point is 00:00:00 Here we go. How? How could I let you go? I don't know, it's kind of easy to let chicks go. I did everything in this relationship. You got the nerve to leave. You alright, bro? I told you all of my secrets.
Starting point is 00:00:29 How could you leave? This was jaded before jaded. Secrets doesn't mean I have to stay. How could you walk away? It's a bad example. Oh, yes. I can see Rory doing a cover in the video to match of this when Sam leaves. I'm with the shits.
Starting point is 00:00:47 Sam is definitely leaving this year. Erickson, you got me? Oh, yes. Uh-oh. Uh-oh. Shout out to everybody listening at work. We are here. Yes.
Starting point is 00:00:58 Take a look, bitch. Oh, such a void where my heart was. I feel pretty emo today. It's Phil. It's Phil. Wait, everybody in this room recognizes Phil as Phil, right? Of course. The legend.
Starting point is 00:01:26 All right. I'm just making sure. And anyway, no, I was doing a segue into Travis' shit, actually. Yeah. Come on, ball. Astro. Yeah, yeah. Come on. Yeah, nigga. Roy, what's good, my. Astro. Yeah, yeah. Come on.
Starting point is 00:01:45 Yeah, nigga. Roy, what's good, my G? Hey. She's in love with who I am. Travis cut the check or something? Back in high school, I used to bus into the dance. Under 1995 to start a podcast. That's true.
Starting point is 00:01:58 Yo, this is why I don't like this flow, because you can say the wackest shit ever, and it's super, super hard. Hold up, man. What the fuck did you just say? That flow is Teflon But what did he just say? Doesn't matter Setting that cadence
Starting point is 00:02:11 I went to the prom And then asked her for a dance I was out like a light I took her on a flight We went to the mall Had her have a bite She come out of retirement On the floor
Starting point is 00:02:21 You're a little rusty, bro You sound nice She's come out of retirement. On the floor. You're a little rusty, bro. All right. You're a little rusty, bro. No Joe Button. No, Wally and Ma. Salutations, everyone. Welcome to episode 173. Say, Vaughn, yes?
Starting point is 00:02:44 173 of the Joe Budden Podcast. I am your host, Joe Budden, here alongside some of my nearest and dearest friends, Maul, Parks, Rory, Erickson, and Savon. I would ask everyone how they're doing, but let me just let the listeners know. Everyone looks a little sad. I blame Trey.
Starting point is 00:03:04 You blame my kid? Yeah, that's why it was dark. Yeah, yeah. Dark way to start the day. Looks a little sad. I blame Trey. Blame my kid? Yeah, that's why it was dark. Yeah, yeah. It's a dark way to start the day. Yeah, you shouldn't listen to that shit in the morning. He's a button. Is everyone... I got a lot of new music plugs to start this podcast.
Starting point is 00:03:17 Just giving Travis the free promo, giving Trey the free promo. This is kind of nuts. Should I call Sony? Should we charge them to play the Travis song? Might have to. And I was starting with Phil. I don't ever want to plug
Starting point is 00:03:29 my kid or Travis. Why is everyone sad? You guys all right? Rory, you okay? It's the heat wave, man. I thought we were on our way to the fall. And then it just reminded me
Starting point is 00:03:42 it's still August. Summer's still here, bro. Oh, I'm so glad that the fall is coming. I'm really excited about... The fall... Did I ask y'all to rank y'all seasons for me?
Starting point is 00:03:52 You guys are spring, summer people? No, no, no. I'm a fall. Fall, spring. I'm an October baby, so the fall is it for me. Fall is number one.
Starting point is 00:03:59 Spring is number two. I might even put winter three. Yeah, you're a summer spring. Summer, spring, fall. I'm a fall, summer, spring, winter. That's shocking because you seem like you would like to layer up. No, I do, but I mean, New York summers are trash.
Starting point is 00:04:16 This summer, this weather is terrible. No, it's true now. This weather is terrible. Yeah, if we're speaking to weather, New York is awful. This shit is terrible. But wait, it used to be New York summers were the greatest thing in the world. No, they still- No.
Starting point is 00:04:28 No, they are. No. They were and they still are, but I'm talking just weather. I'm not talking about what's happening outside. I'm talking about totality. The weather is trash. It's not what it used to be, man. The rooftop parties are trash.
Starting point is 00:04:42 That's true. The day parties are trash. Y'all don't be out, though. Y'all don't be in these streets. It's trash. It's trash. It is trash. How would y true the day party i don't be out though y'all be in these streets it's trash it is trash how would y'all know you don't know because it's trash yo rory every time we talk i say yo tell me somewhere dope to go and i'll go no answer i'll go like no i'm not i'm not just home being a hermit why i am home being a hermit but if there was somewhere dope to go i really really, really, truly would go.
Starting point is 00:05:09 No, but I also have to think certain things other people find dope you don't. Like, you need a place away from everyone to sit and stare at your phone and be away from the party. And some parties don't offer that. I was out like a light. Took her to the flight. Went to the mall. Made her have a bite. Made her have a bite. You don't think I got it still?
Starting point is 00:05:25 Off the dome? Nah, that shit trash. Even off the dome? Off the dome. Made her have a bite. You don't think I got it still? Off the dome? No, that shit trash. Even off the dome? Off the dome. Did she have consent? Yo, what happened? You used to couldn't tell a nigga he was trash if he was off the dome. No, you couldn't tell a nigga he was trash.
Starting point is 00:05:35 No, you can. Absolutely. Nah, you could think it. You couldn't say it. Nah, you could say it. I'd say it. Yeah, that was trash. That's not it.
Starting point is 00:05:44 Damn, but bitches be having bites at the mall. Yeah, but you made her have a bite. You made her have a bite? I made her have a bite. You made her eat? That's a little rapey. Sometimes you don't be hungry. Sometimes.
Starting point is 00:05:52 No, women are always hungry. That's true. Yeah, but their hunger is like their piss. It's there, but they feel like they can hold it another 10. Nah, they just be talking about. What you talking about? Yeah, they get that crankiness, that hunger crankiness. Now, let's get into Rory for a little bit.
Starting point is 00:06:07 Pause. Rory, I had the pleasure of listening to Rory on the Horrible Decisions podcast, Mandy and Weezy. Let me give Mandy and Weezy a round of applause. I've never actually had the pleasure of meeting this Weezy young lady, but Mandy, we know. Yeah, Weezy's great. No, relax. You're applauding them. Relax.
Starting point is 00:06:30 Yeah, I want to get the good stuff out the way. Don't jump in with good stuff. You jump in when it's bad. Now, Mo, you were on this podcast too, right? Yeah. I got to hear your episode. I don't think I listened to Mo's episode. Why y'all niggas?
Starting point is 00:06:44 I just have a few questions Did you hear Did anybody hear Rory I didn't I didn't listen to it Some people had told me To listen to it though I didn't listen to it yet
Starting point is 00:06:53 I heard Rory was being Irish McNasty Nigga what You know what the crazy shit is No all of it Y'all need to listen to it No all of it was crazy I don't think
Starting point is 00:07:01 Dog I was very PC The type of conversations We've had off the microphone were not even remotely close. I'm cool with the ass eating. That's fine. You can eat my ass. I've adjusted a bit. I wouldn't say my leg was on anyone's shoulder per se. Okay. Tell me
Starting point is 00:07:15 what's wrong with that clip. I didn't say anything. I just played a clip, Rory. No, I see your face and I know you. I see your face. What does that mean? You and Parks, which is also super creepy, took the time to clip that and play it back. I see your face. Parks is our engineer. I'm just picturing the two of you standing at a computer screen like, no, no, no, one more second before that about the ass part.
Starting point is 00:07:35 That's creepy. And you were definitely Indian style when you did it, which made it weirder. For sure. See, I like this Rory. I like the Rory that combats the joke with jokes. I don't like when Rory gets all serious. So stay in this vibe. Listen.
Starting point is 00:07:47 Stay in this vibe. Telling a nigga to stay in a vibe is fucking crazy. Well, no, I like this vibe. This is a great vibe. Stay in this vibe, Rory. I have a question for both of y'all, though. So you stay in this vibe, too. Why y'all be so, huh?
Starting point is 00:07:59 I'm in the vibe. Why y'all be so eager to wake up on a Saturday morning and go talk about getting your asses licked? Like, Saturday is not y'all be so eager to wake up on a Saturday morning and go talk about getting your asses licked? Like, Saturday is not your wind down, relax time. That's Sunday. That's Sunday. No, but I didn't. Well, if it happened on Friday night, I got to tell somebody.
Starting point is 00:08:14 Yeah, I don't know if my episode I talked about getting my ass licked. No, you did. You did. I don't know. Probably did. Probably did. I mean, I don't think it was that wild. When I saw people in my mentions, I was like, oh, that's wild, D.O.?
Starting point is 00:08:26 Yeah. Okay. No, it's not wild, but I'm your friend, so I'm going to crack on you. But I did learn a few things. You know how sometimes you just learn maybe too much about your friends, right? So let me tell you what I learned about you, Rory, when I'm listening to this podcast. Okay. One, I didn't know that you didn't know what a depo shot was.
Starting point is 00:08:43 And that may seem pretty minor, but I was judging you about it. And two, and maybe this leaves room for me to be judged, but I don't really care. Sin was trying to bait me into a judge contest. Oh, yeah. I almost got myself in trouble. Anyway, yeah, I'm listening and Rory starts talking about how he's never had hot candle wax on him. Hmm. So then I.
Starting point is 00:09:05 I missed that part. So I was listening. I don't even know if I remember that part. And I said, wait, have you guys ever had hot candle wax on you at all? For sure. On my hand, just to see how it. But I don't know. You wanted those.
Starting point is 00:09:15 Naked. You wanted. He was adding Yankee Candle. Pour it on my palm. No, I just wanted to see if it burned. Like, I wasn't trying to. And I don't know, sensual. I wasn't naked and letting her just Pour that shit on my back
Starting point is 00:09:25 But you do know The way that it feels Outside of the moment And how it feels Inside of the moment Is not the same Yeah I get that You don't care
Starting point is 00:09:31 You're not gonna give it a go It's not great Inside the moment I'm cool on the candle wax For what it's worth I'm cool on the candle wax It's not great I don't really want you
Starting point is 00:09:38 Pouring shit on me When I'm having sex As yes it's not On the top of my docket Yeah I'm not there So what y'all do When y'all get into Like your romance bag Is that the romance bag I'm what y'all do when y'all get into like your romance bag?
Starting point is 00:09:46 Is that the romance bag? I'm asking y'all. I mean, candles lit, good R&B music, good vibe, good lighting. And that's about it. That's the romance bag? Yeah. That's it? I didn't know pouring shit on me was romantic.
Starting point is 00:09:58 Yeah, you never seen Ghost Snickers? They was making clay shit. Yeah, but that was before the sex. That led into the sex. Well, anyway, I looked at the phone in pure amazement. I said, here you come. I want to act like Mr. Extra Experience, nigga. Who you think he was pouring wax on?
Starting point is 00:10:16 I didn't know. And this was years ago. Yeah, listening to that with your girl was probably not a good idea. I didn't know y'all was taking it there. And I didn't know she was listening. And I was going to combat you saying, who wants to go on their Saturday to eat ass? And I was like, that wasn't like a text convo prior. It just happened.
Starting point is 00:10:33 But then again, it was the horrible decisions podcast. So I figured that was probably on the dog. So Saturday's the only day to eat ass? Well, I guess to talk about it. Oh, to talk. Okay, got you. Yeah, but a lot of niggas was hitting my mentions on Saturday just talking about how at home Rory sounded
Starting point is 00:10:47 and felt at that podcast. At home? They tell you what the... He was so forthcoming with information. I like the engine room. You were forthcoming with information?
Starting point is 00:10:57 That nigga was... He went there ready to divulge things. Well, I'll be honest with you. I do like that this is like the boys club and shit and that's fun and I like y'all.
Starting point is 00:11:05 Y'all don't just like to want to be around just women sometimes and just talk to girls? Of course. Yeah, you talk to girls. I felt much more at home than just yelling with y'all all fucking. Oh, please. Yo, yo, yo. No, that is such a lie. Rory sat there and lied.
Starting point is 00:11:17 Yo, he went in there. You know how niggas just go into their bag of lies when they're in a room full of girls? Rory lied about everything. Rory lied about everything. Rory lied about every single thing up there give me your top three lies your number one lie up there
Starting point is 00:11:28 you told those two women with a straight face now wait now cause we'll edit some shit out if we get in trouble no wait now wait now you told them to
Starting point is 00:11:38 and I know Rory guilty cause he keeps sipping from that bottle that's guilty that bottle throw that shit away man he keeps sipping from that empty water bottle
Starting point is 00:11:44 man look he keeps throw that shit away, man. He keeps sitting away. Let me see. Throw that shit away, man. Look. Throw that shit away, man. Yo, Rory told those two women with the straight face when they asked him if he had a type. He said, no, I don't have a type. We've had that debate. All shapes, faces, shapes, sizes, accent, hair. I don't have a type.
Starting point is 00:12:02 You and I have had that debate, Mad Tom. So how could you say I'm lying you and I have argued down about that that's always my side in our debate well I'm not lying to you or them
Starting point is 00:12:11 Rory definitely has a type that's all that's all everyone's got a type I do believe some people might not have a type I don't know if it's a type
Starting point is 00:12:18 but if I look at all the women I've known Rory to date in the past and it's that they kind of do have a little all the pics he like on Instagram is kind of similar.
Starting point is 00:12:29 That's how I gauge it. Okay, I'll agree to disagree. What's the other lie? Oh, lie number two. You told those two women with the straight face, yo, when you was talking about just things that you're significant,
Starting point is 00:12:47 all that you have, she should have her own friends. She should have her own life. My friends is my friends. Her friends is her friends. So if I break up with my girl, please believe my friends is mine.
Starting point is 00:12:56 Her friends is hers. And I was laying in bed and I looked at the center and said, that's a lie. Sam is definitely off. I'm definitely rolling with Sam in the break. I've told Roy that a million times. So that's a lie. Sam is definitely out. I'm definitely rolling with Sam in the break.
Starting point is 00:13:06 I've told Roy that a million times. So that's another lie. Okay. By your flip of words. Yeah, it was two more lies up there, man. I got to get into it. I got to listen to this shit now. Yeah, you do.
Starting point is 00:13:17 It's must listen to. I got to listen to it. No, I was suggesting the context of the conversation was things you need in a relationship. And I was suggesting that you should have your own set of friends as well so you can leave me alone and go be with your friends i'm on that i'm on that no no you know how rory's good let me tell you rory's good and then we're gonna get off of this because i might get myself in trouble here um rory's good because some niggas got the the bag the uh the i'm not pressed for pussy bag that they could get into you just know all the opposite answers of what every man has said to them rory wouldn't The bag, the I'm not pressed for pussy bag that they could get into.
Starting point is 00:13:45 You just know all the opposite answers of what every man had said to them. Rory went in that bag. Okay. The not pressed for pussy bag? Yeah, he did. Come on, man. You be pressed. You be pressed.
Starting point is 00:13:56 You be pressed. Come on, niggas. Stop fronting on these other podcasts, god damn it. You be pressed. Shout out to Mandy and Weezy. I'm joking around, but I really enjoyed the podcast. And I enjoyed y'all
Starting point is 00:14:06 coming to our shit. And I do think that y'all can sell out. Now, where are we at?
Starting point is 00:14:11 Where are we starting here? Off of Rory's fucking shit. Do we start with Lior? Do we start with Travis,
Starting point is 00:14:18 Scott, everyone here I'm assuming has heard Astroworld, yes? Yeah. Lior's a little older, though. Let's start with
Starting point is 00:14:24 Lior, and then we can just do a new music topic so we don't have to bounce around. Because if we do Travis, we're going to have to go through all 10 albums that came out on Friday. Let's have some structure here
Starting point is 00:14:33 for a change. I thought that we would be able to duck the Lior shit. I mean, I saw a bunch of people just start hitting me. No. Why would you want to duck it? We can't duck it.
Starting point is 00:14:41 Because I'm biased toward Lior. We can't duck that, though. Okay. I would have thought you wanted to duck it, Yeah, we can't duck it. Because I'm biased toward Lior. We can't duck it, though. Okay. I would have thought you wanted to duck it, too. Why? Shit. Not me.
Starting point is 00:14:51 No? I don't duck nothing. Really? Really. Can we have this talk? I can talk about anything. About Lior? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:15:00 You can't because you're, you know, you got political connects now and you've sold out. So you're a little different now. I'm just saying. That just established me.
Starting point is 00:15:07 Old Joe Budden would have went in. I don't know about this guy. Joe always liked Lior though. Yeah, I've always been a Lior guy. Yeah, but you always used to fall on the independent side. I'm still on the independent side. Yeah, but it's different now because you're behind the scenes. Listen, all right.
Starting point is 00:15:23 And you got friends and shit. That used to not be your friend the industry man yo y'all gonna start that narrative up for real yeah you know it's a narrative it's just i don't think i'm industry i don't what you think i think i think i think thank you more i think that i'm respectful to we all people we i'm i'm respectful to people like I'm respectful to people. Like, so when I, I guess, when you call me industry,
Starting point is 00:15:48 if I see industry niggas, I'm going to speak to them. Yeah, but now it's a little different. How? Because now it's just, you know, you know when you industry is how you speak to people.
Starting point is 00:15:57 Like, now you see somebody, you're going to start stomping your feet, laughing before the dab. You know what I mean? That's what you do, like. Yo, let's flick it up. Erickson.
Starting point is 00:16:05 Erickson. When a nigga stomping to the dap, when a nigga stomping to the dap, that means like, all right, I see what back here. Like, you a stomping to the dap nigga now. You think? For sure. Nah, don't be stomping. If you see Puff right now,
Starting point is 00:16:15 you stomping to the dap, my nigga. Like, don't do that. I just kind of gracefully walk into it. Nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah. You stomping to the dap. Because I don't want to be like extra to see him. Nah, nah, nah, nah. You might even do the dap hug too.
Starting point is 00:16:24 You might do like the one and then the hug around the industry. Oh, no, no, no. I will admit to that. I give him a little extra second on the hug. Duh, you walk. Listen. Where y'all don't have people, y'all give the extra second on the hug too? Our real friends.
Starting point is 00:16:37 Our real friends. Niggas I've been. Niggas I was on a block with. Nah, I give it to some niggas I'm just happy to see for a little bit. Nah, nah, nah, nah. Yo, y'all a wild. That's industry though. I get it. Nah, I give it to some niggas I'm just happy to see for a little bit. Nah, nah, nah, nah. Yo, y'all a little wild. That's industry though. I get it.
Starting point is 00:16:48 You know I know. I'm industry because I hug Puff longer. Yes, nigga. Also, I saw your Michael Rapaport shit. You're in some little secret Illuminati football league
Starting point is 00:16:57 with Michael Kaiser in them. That's true. That's industry to me. That's true. That's super industry. That's true. That's another nigga here. That's another nigga
Starting point is 00:17:04 you stomp dapper to is Kaiser. And then y'all go have y'all little private talk about what's going on in the industry. I know you industry, nigga. Yeah. But y'all are naming people that brought me in the game.
Starting point is 00:17:20 There's nothing wrong with it being industry. Let me just say that. This is why I disagree with y'all saying y'all naming people that brought me in the game and stopped talking to me while my career was failing
Starting point is 00:17:31 yeah cause they didn't fuck with you like that they weren't my friends we tell you stop to be phony hey Kaiser tells me all the time no nigga
Starting point is 00:17:37 we speak so much today cause you poppin he says that yeah so I don't think I stomp when I see Kai you stomp when you see Kai I don't like that you did that
Starting point is 00:17:44 and you called him Kais. Kais. Get the fuck out of here. Kais. His name is Michael Kaiser. His name is Michael Kaiser. Erickson is having a blast. Erickson, what's up with you?
Starting point is 00:17:53 Yo, you know why? Because Erickson has the camera, and he sees this shit. We don't be around. Erickson actually be around during this shit. You know when I knew Joe was industry? Oh, shit. His little puff vignette that they shot. That's why you can't let Moe get on a roll.
Starting point is 00:18:06 He's a street. He's creepy. Because now that we get into your industry shit. When he get on a roll. When you did your little puff vignette. I keep trying to. Yeah, he did his little puff vignette. He probably called it the clear port.
Starting point is 00:18:18 Of course he did. Definitely call it the clear port. So when Puff was getting off the jet. And I was being mad early. Yeah. And you live in New Jersey. When Puff was getting off the jet. And I was being mad early. Yeah. And you live in New Jersey. When Puff was getting off the jet, he walked up the steps to meet Puff.
Starting point is 00:18:28 He's getting off, man. He's coming off the plane. He can't get out. He can't even get off the steps. You walked up the steps to meet Puff and dab him. Like, come on. You can't walk up the steps to him. He's getting off, Joe.
Starting point is 00:18:39 Meanwhile, he was standing like the limo driver with the piece of paper at the end of the baggage claim. I'm here to pick you up, Sean. Guys, you guys. I'm just saying, bro. I didn't know that he was getting off. Where was he going? You didn't know he was getting off the jet that just landed?
Starting point is 00:18:55 Were they getting gas? What the fuck? I thought they were picking me up. All right. Don't with this nigga, man. This nigga's crazy. Wait, why? You my guy, though.
Starting point is 00:19:04 Yo, why is it so funny to you? Why they can't pick me up? Listen, you my man. But why they couldn't pick me up and take me somewhere? Because you know if somebody is coming to pick you up in a jet. You know. You're not there with a camera crew to shoot a trailer. That's not a guess.
Starting point is 00:19:16 You know when you're getting on a flight. Nobody has ever thought, yo, nah, they might come get you. Like, what you mean? Nah, there's some bitches that thought that before. Yeah, some chicks, yeah. But you know. Ian just had a case. It just wasn't confirmed yet, man.
Starting point is 00:19:28 Yeah, okay. I didn't know what was going on. Okay, I got you. That wasn't really the topic I was bringing up. No, no, no, but we were just
Starting point is 00:19:33 watching Industry Connection. And I just saw a picture of you and Steve Stout, I think, somewhere on Instagram. Oh, yeah, for sure. Oh, that's nasty. How is that nasty? I don't count Steve Stout
Starting point is 00:19:42 on this picture with everybody. Industry? Yo, Mo. All right, we got it. Don't worry. Don't worry. I got it. First of all,
Starting point is 00:19:51 I didn't even know about the Stout picture. I didn't know about that. Did you call him Kamish when you rolled up? Clap and call him Kamish? If you call him Kamish, I'm fighting you.
Starting point is 00:19:59 Who's the Kamish? I don't know. He was the commissioner. Remember they would yell that on records, on mixtapes? Don't ever tell me that. Adam Silver was the only one you better say Kamish to. Don't tell me that again, that he was the commish? I don't know. He was the commissioner. Remember, they would yell that on records, on mixtapes. Don't ever tell me. Adam Silver was the only one you better say commish to.
Starting point is 00:20:07 Don't tell me that again, that he was the commish. No. I didn't call him that. You called him that. Not the commish. Hey, we got to get some order. Any of you radio personalities think you want smoke? Call me Mr. Chimney.
Starting point is 00:20:24 I want smoke. We're 20 minutes in. We have yet to talk about a topic. That's all right. I don't me Mr. Chimney. I want smoke. We're 20 minutes in. We have yet to talk about a topic. That's all right. I don't know why I'm listening to this shit. Yo, shout out to everybody at work. I don't know if I did that. Shout out to the YouTube viewership.
Starting point is 00:20:33 Shout out to all the ladies. Hey, y'all. Hey. Nice segue. No, now let's get back to this shit. All right, Leroy Cohen. Before we get any further, y'all tell me the exact definition of a culture vulture. And is Leroy Cohen one? definition of a culture vulture. And is Lior Cohen one?
Starting point is 00:20:46 Is he a culture vulture? Yes. Somebody that profits off a culture that they don't contribute to. He's contributed a lot to the culture, though. Listen, I think there's been a lot of moves that Lior has done that's shady. But my always thing was like, all right, when you started out as run dmc's road manager whether what your intentions were you've still participated and done a lot for this culture he's done too much for me to call him a culture vulture that's and that's my only point we don't
Starting point is 00:21:16 have to stay here very long this is an old topic and we got a lot to delve dive into with it i agree with parks more you say he is a culture vulture so just tell me why because i do think that he's done too much to be a vulture he's contributed like a lot behavior i'm not saying that is vulture-esque i'm not saying he hasn't like what like what uh i think the 360 listen good there's good business you can still be a vulture we're doing very good business i want to make that clear because there's a moral standpoint in there i don't relate to i don't relate vulturism with uh oh no i'm saying i do relate i don't relate vulturism with business yeah you can't i don't the 360 is great business because you gotta do you gotta do it for the label of course
Starting point is 00:22:00 yeah no for the artist too you say that I don't know why you say that. Let me tell you why I say that. Because any artist who has ambitions on a major record label, I figure that they want to be a priority at that major label, right? Am I off on that? No, you're right. They want to be a priority. And if they want to be a priority and if they want to be a priority then that artist that gets signed has zero problem with the label taking their share
Starting point is 00:22:32 if the label is making them a priority doing all the ancillary shit that they don't have to do for everybody that was the big beef in def jam when rihanna was on everything in the universe she was the only one on everything in the universe they didn't give a fuck about nobody else but they wanted everybody in a 360 no we're not afforded the same rights that rihanna is so she should be jumping up and down about her 360 because y'all giving her every soundtrack in the world y'all giving her every makeup line y'all giving her everything in the world right so how she felt about it and how l l about it, or somebody else, ludicrous when they approached him about it. People felt differently about it. I could tell you some artists right now that's in a 360 that is jumping for joy about their deal.
Starting point is 00:23:15 I think there are certain situations where a 360 makes sense for an artist. There's a lot of situations. And it makes sense for the label. It's fair for the label to do that if I'm going to make you a super-duper-duper star. It's genius when the labels were trying to combat Nap'm going to make you a super duper duper star. It's genius when the labels were trying to combat Napster and LimeWire.
Starting point is 00:23:28 That was genius. Well, it's bad when you're not doing any artist development and you only know how to market stars and then you have a kid that you sign
Starting point is 00:23:35 like Big Crit and it's like, wait, you're taking my little ass show money too? You know I'm not selling shit. Big Crit should not have signed a 360
Starting point is 00:23:42 or to a major in general. I think the 360 deal came in. Yeah, Big Crit should have never been on a major. I think it came in at a time when labels started to get exposed that we probably don't need them in a certain degree. Because they were losing money a lot. And that was the way shows and touring became much more lucrative. They came in and said, all right, any kid that's broke and wants to sign to a major, a lot of kids do.
Starting point is 00:24:06 It's just taking advantage of an artist. Of a new artist. Of a star, nah. He came up with that. It was good business for the label. Because the artists were taking advantage of the label. That's why, that was the thinking
Starting point is 00:24:21 behind it. The thinking was we are spending all of the money and getting not very much back with all of this downloading shit. Well, depending on what their split was. We need a piece of the other stuff if we're going to continue this. Yeah, to keep the labels going. I'm real shocked by you, Maul. Let's talk about it since you said we could talk about shit. For a nigga like me, well, let me not say a nigga like me.
Starting point is 00:24:44 I'm pretty well informed but i'm sure there's a large group of people out there that don't think that they hear from rockefeller really without a leor that they don't hear from rockefeller yeah or murder inc or yeah or all of them or or rough riders rough riders i disagree there, but I can see where someone would think that. Like, there's a bunch of them. That was back when no other label would house the fucking, the sub, the conglomerates. Right. They were the only ones to say, hey, we'll take your whole crew, your whole crew, your whole crew, your whole crew, and now make young black men basically responsible for all these large amounts of budgets and money and all that. I'm not saying.
Starting point is 00:25:27 He put niggas in position. He did. I'm not saying Leo hasn't done dope shit in music. I'm not saying that. But what? But he's also. Where's the vulture part? Because he's also done things where it's like, okay, you ate off of this, these people, this person.
Starting point is 00:25:41 But then it's like, once you feel like you got all you can get out of them, it's fuck them. I don't know them. Oh, that's the business. That's the music business. That's not a vulture. That's any record label. That's what a vulture is, though.
Starting point is 00:25:52 No, no, no, no. Yeah. You can't do that. And also, I mean, what... Him saying he didn't know Dame, he didn't know who Dame was? Come on. Yeah, but if someone was talking crazy about you all the time...
Starting point is 00:26:01 It's not crazy, though. It's all facts. But wait, time out. But wait, time out. But wait, time out. Let's get into that. You don't know Dame shit. Now, of course he knows who Dame Dash is. We all know that.
Starting point is 00:26:10 But him saying that was like saying, I don't do business with him no more, so fuck him. No, that was him saying, and he explained it further. He said, listen, I haven't spoken to Dame in 10 years. I don't know what he does when he wakes up in the morning. I don't know how he makes his money. I don't know anything about him. I don't know what he does when he wakes up in the morning. I don't know how he makes his money. I don't know anything about him. I don't know him.
Starting point is 00:26:28 That doesn't mean you don't know somebody. I thought that was a very polite way to dismiss someone who's been talking a bunch of shit about you. I thought it was pretty polite. But it's not shit, though. Come on, Maul. Yes, it is.
Starting point is 00:26:40 The culture vulture is talking shit, for sure. That is talking shit. Yeah, but respond to that, then. He did. And I would love to know an answer. Because he sure. That is talking shit. Yeah, but respond to that then. He did. And I would love to know an answer. Because he did. That wasn't really direct. Wait a minute.
Starting point is 00:26:49 And that's where I would like to know how deep y'all want to get in this conversation. Because he did respond and he asked the question that niggas just ignore. What question did he ask? He said,
Starting point is 00:27:02 Dame and Jay were, y'all were telling me that they were friends and i broke up a friendship in my world that can't break up a friendship so i would say were those two people friends he alluded to a lot and i guess maybe because i know all the rumors and shit that was swirling around know exactly what he's talking about but people that are informed probably should know what he's talking about we've never gotten an answer to that wait hold up no forget dame addressing him we love hove we don't hold hove accountable for whatever part he played in that oh well no i i do i'm just speaking for myself i do you do do i of course i do what mean? Absolutely. I'm never shied away from that. Absolutely.
Starting point is 00:27:45 So do you think that Lior was the reason that the Rockefeller empire broke up? He played a part. He definitely played a part. Wasn't that business? That's business. Yeah, but didn't- He did what he should have done in business. That's not what he should have done.
Starting point is 00:28:01 But don't you, like what Joe was saying- He did that for his gain. He did that for his gain. What I wanted to in the conversation is if your bond is strong with your brothers like that, why would you let Lior come in? Which is why I just said I hold Jay accountable for a lot that went down with that. I never speak on it, but of course I do. I don't run from that. Jay absolutely had a lot to do with that
Starting point is 00:28:25 but leo played a part as well and the fact that he knew that jay was the one to get close to because he could maneuver and persuade him in a way okay to do business that would benefit leo in the long run and that would ultimately benefit jay as well in the long run and then it was kind of like and i can't say that anyone was wrong like i can't say in in hindsight you know i had my opinions on it back then but in hindsight i can't say anybody was wrong in their decision making right seeing where everybody landed right um but dame spoke a lot about leo not using his own money well okay somebody inform me like well i don't think it had to do with help me out here the culture vulture thing i think that had but that's when he said it be no well i think he continued another point in saying you can't call somebody a boss that has a boss like he youtube that's not his
Starting point is 00:29:21 money that's not his company he still has to answer to somebody i think that's not his money. That's not his company. He still has to answer to somebody. I think that's what Dane was getting at, that he doesn't respect someone that is the quote head of the music industry and is not technically really a boss or put up any of his own money to do. It's a mistake. No, I mean, I don't think there's anything wrong with either or. No, there is something wrong with it. So let me tell you what's wrong with it. No, there is something wrong with it. So let me tell you what's wrong with it. The guy that fronted the money is just as valuable as the nigga that knows what to do with the money. True story. Neither one are more valuable than the other person. So granted, okay, Lior was using Doug Morris's or somebody's money, right?
Starting point is 00:30:03 He was moving it. money right he was moving it he controlled it and he gave positions of power to a bunch of black niggas that probably wouldn't have gotten it uh at that at that level of acceleration i'm biased for my own reasons but if i could have this conversation with anybody i would i would have it with dame like because i i have an idea of what I think a culture vulture is. And trust me, there's a lot of them out there. For sure. I just don't think Lior is one of them. And I'm open to being wrong.
Starting point is 00:30:36 All right. Well, to that point, what do you think when they were talking about Lior signing artists and they may have drug problems and capitalizing on that aspect. And Lior, his answer was a little kind of all over the place. I mean, I got him saying, I got to feed my kids. I thought it was very direct. But then right before that, he was saying like, no, we'll help him or whatever. It was like, no, I don't care.
Starting point is 00:30:57 I have to feed my kids. It was just kind of a little wishy-washy to me on really directly answering that question. I would sort of say, yo, this is business. As long as the kid can make me money, that's fine. But that, some people would call a culture vulture. I felt like he tried to stay on both sides. He tried to stay on both sides of the question.
Starting point is 00:31:14 That's such a bullshit hip-hop narrative. That's trash. That's trash. No, I'm not rolling. We gonna get Dame up here one day. That's how we'll talk. I'm gonna'm not rolling let we don't get we gonna get Dame up here one day that's how we talk I'm gonna reach out to him I mean I've spoken to Dame a bunch in the last the last month not about this of course uh because I would never I respect all three of these men immensely right so I don't even bring it up because they brought it up. But what was we just saying before?
Starting point is 00:31:45 Because you was making a point. About the drugs. Yo, let me explain something to people out there. Do y'all know that Leo Cohen was the president? Yeah. Why are people asking him like he's the first line of defense on the opioid and drug epidemic right uh go uh that our artists are going to do y'all know these niggas normally don't never even during leo's reign niggas never even saw him you saw him twice a quarter maybe i think they
Starting point is 00:32:20 were speaking more to 300 in the recent signees of the past five years. Do you think that Lior Cohen is not going to sign a nigga because they have a pill problem? Yes. I don't think that's him taking advantage of. You could call almost anybody in music ever a culture vulture. Yeah, it's not fair. If allowing people to do drugs or not, because you can't make someone not do drugs. And almost every musician or artist, not to pigeonhole us, but everybody has some chemical dependency thing at some point, most artists.
Starting point is 00:32:49 I'm not disagreeing with that. I think The Breakfast Club was just asking him where he morally stands in helping these kids with it. I'm just giving you guys the info. To me, it felt like he was playing both sides of saying, yeah, I mean, we would like to help them, and then afterwards shifted to, man, I got a business to sides of saying, yeah, I mean, we would like to help them. And then afterwards shifted to, man, I got kids.
Starting point is 00:33:08 I got a business to run. See, I heard that entirely different. I heard him say, yo, I'll never give up on people. I'll never give up on people. Yes, I put talent first because that is my job. But it's not like I'm signing you on talent and then I'm not giving a fuck about your fucking well-being. Like, when I see niggas and they on some bullshit, that's the first thing I say.
Starting point is 00:33:32 Yo, you drinking coffee, you're killing yourself. You're smoking cigarettes, you're killing yourself. He said all of that. But Lior, he talks like he talks. So it came off like that. I didn't see a problem with that either. If we're going to hold him to it, then I got a million other niggas we're going to hold. I agree with you.
Starting point is 00:33:50 Nobody's saying this is a Lior problem. This is a music business problem. Definitely. This is beyond music business. You can't control what everybody does to their bodies. At some point, you have to just... You offer a hand. If they don't take the hand
Starting point is 00:34:05 you keep it moving like and i'm not necessarily saying that it's a music business or music people problem because i want drugs in music i'm serious i'm not i'm not joking and y'all know my stance on on drugs and all that shit i i don't want a creative world where drugs have no influence on the art. I do not. What do you mean, though? I mean, if you take drugs off the face of the earth, I don't want to hear all of those songs that y'all just made. All of y'all. I don't.
Starting point is 00:34:41 Drugs do have a place in music and and and in creating it depends on how the personality is using said drug I am against people abusing drugs and self-destructing and not taking care of themselves and just not being responsible using drugs right but there's a million artists I don't want it are you telling me I don't get doggy style Right No but Because I understand Miles Davis
Starting point is 00:35:08 Like yeah I understand what you're saying Billie Holiday Stevie Fucking You know the The great great great Stevie Basically every artist
Starting point is 00:35:15 We know what you're saying Right I just I'm just against You don't have to explain it We get what you're saying there But that's not saying That I condone
Starting point is 00:35:22 The pumps The The Yams The I'm not with I'm not with it But that's not saying that I condone the pumps, the yams. I'm not with it. I do think that people should be allowed the space to make great decisions for themselves and think responsibly. And I think that other people should intervene when that person shows they are unable to do so. person shows they are unable to do so.
Starting point is 00:35:43 I just have a... My problem with the whole drug thing in music is now it's become like a normal thing for these young artists to just talk about doing different drugs. That's the problem I have because now you're pushing that message onto
Starting point is 00:36:00 the kids and the generation that are listening to it. Now these kids who are not even trying to tap into nothing creative, they're just out sipping lean and popping pills and doing all this shit, and it's like they're killing themselves just because their favorite rapper or musician is talking about it in his music, and he's pushing that like, yeah, this is what I'm on. This is what I do, da-da-da-da.
Starting point is 00:36:23 And it's like these kids are just doing this shit and they don't have no. I'm stepping to the artist and I'm stepping to the artist's day-to-day team and whoever is with that person or handles or manages that person day-to-day. Lior Cohen is not the person. No, I'm not. No, I'm not putting this on Lior at all. I'm just saying when you say drugs has a place in music, I understand where you're going with that.
Starting point is 00:36:46 But it's also a fine line because you have a lot of these rappers now pushing this drug thing. Oh, that was my other point about Lior. Let me be clear. In my experience with him, I've never heard them tell somebody to push a drug image. I've never heard it now they signed a lot of niggas that wild out me x keith murray fucking i can name a bunch but they didn't now i've seen them say yo go fake a relationship i've seen them say you know i've seen some of the fake fuck shit i've seen them say fake some beef i've never heard Lior or his people say
Starting point is 00:37:26 Yo go fake the drug habit I'm not putting that I'm just not putting that on him Yeah no I don't put that on No I'm not putting that on No but you taking drugs You doing that's
Starting point is 00:37:34 On you I'm not putting that On anybody else I'm just saying I just don't The era now Is just that They're trying to make it like
Starting point is 00:37:41 It's cool to do these drugs When it's really not You know what I mean And that's just Where we lost it like it's cool to do these drugs when it's really not. You know what I mean? And that's just what we lost it at. It's like these rappers now making it like you can't have it. It's a little too overt in the lyrics. Yeah, it's way too much. And it's like, you know, you're talking about doing, you did 30 Zans, you're lying.
Starting point is 00:37:56 When did you, you still here? You know what I mean? Like, stop. Because now some kid is going to go out tonight and try to do 30 Zans. You didn't do 30 Zans. Yeah, like, stop it. Like, knock it off. You know what I mean do 30 Zans. You didn't do 30 Zans. Yeah, like stop it. Knock it off. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:38:06 Like stop. You didn't do five. Right. Depending on what Zan you got. Right. You didn't do a lot of Zans. Right. All right, Moe.
Starting point is 00:38:14 Damn it. The Moe? I caused it from the top? Yeah. Come on. You on this. Yo, man. The kids is just dying out there.
Starting point is 00:38:23 There's nothing we can do. They're going to use drugs forever and die. There they are. There they are. These niggas is wild. These niggas is crazy. You're right about that. I'm thinking about changing the happy song from outstanding, by the way.
Starting point is 00:38:35 To what? In and out of my life, Gap Band. Okay. I want to keep the Gap Band. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Got to keep the Gap Band. No, got to keep the Gap Band. I'm not Gatman. Well, you're keeping it Gatman. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Got to keep it Gatman. Got to keep it. No, got to keep it Gatman. I'm not mad at that.
Starting point is 00:38:46 Yeah, yeah. I think it will work. Anybody else got more Lior thoughts? Oh, shut up, shut up. I don't care. All right. We back.
Starting point is 00:39:03 Anybody with more legal thoughts? No, I thought it was an informative interview, though. I was real happy that he did it. I don't think he was real happy after he did it. He seemed real awkward. I don't think so, either. I spoke to him afterward. I did speak to him afterward.
Starting point is 00:39:16 I called him to say I enjoyed the interview. Because I was happy that he did it. So many times I want to interview some of these executive niggas, and they wouldn't dare sit before me. That's true. So for him to sit in front of Charlamagne and just answer away at everything, oh, wonderful, wonderful. I think more. I want to see him sit with Dame.
Starting point is 00:39:35 You won't see it. Yeah, I don't think you'll ever see it. I would like to see it, too, but he's just not going to do that. Why? Because Leo has no reason to sit with Dame. Okay. Actually, it's really not true. They probably could do that. Why? Because Lior has no reason to sit with Dame. Okay. Actually, it's really not true. They probably could do business. Lior's at YouTube.
Starting point is 00:39:50 Dame has a whole fucking content compound over there. Right. Yeah. I'm just saying, I would like to see him and Dame sit down and talk and get all of that out. Listen, I'm just happy that I get to see Dame. I get to see Lior. I get to see Hov.
Starting point is 00:40:07 It was a little stretch where Dame was tucked away. Couldn't see him. I'm happy I get everyone's visible. So I'm happy about it. And seem to be doing what they want to do. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Exactly what they want to do. So yeah.
Starting point is 00:40:20 And I've been reading Dame's Culture Vulture book. I don't know if that definition just might not apply to Lior. I just don't think. I personally would like to ask Dame about it. It's a good book, though. Everyone should check it out. Really good book. You can stream it, too, which is awesome. Astroworld?
Starting point is 00:40:35 Could start there. I'm going to go out and say I think that was the best project that came out on Friday. Really? Yeah. Easily. Pretty confidently. Easily? Easily.
Starting point is 00:40:44 Pretty confidently. Easily. Get them parks. Uh-oh. No, don't let them say that, Yeah. Easily. Pretty confidently. Easily? Easily. Pretty confidently. Easily. Get them parks. Uh-oh. No, don't let them say that, parks. Easily. Easily.
Starting point is 00:40:51 I found it personally difficult to get into. Easily the best probably. Well, you need to take 30 Zans, my brother. Maybe so. Maybe so. That was easily the best.
Starting point is 00:40:58 I might be on the wrong drugs. You know what that felt like? Because I think we said that when we were naming the music that was coming out, I think we said that- I were naming The music that was coming out I think we said that I thought Russ was dropping My apologies y'all
Starting point is 00:41:08 Yeah But even in that We had said that Travis Would have the most Critically acclaimed album Yeah We did yes That was an easy call
Starting point is 00:41:17 He Yeah we shouldn't be Awarded for that We're trash Yo this This album This album is gonna be We're gonna look back
Starting point is 00:41:24 At this album This is gonna be a We're gonna look back at this album This is gonna be a play A very important part In Travis' career Only because the way that He structured Like he really This felt like an
Starting point is 00:41:33 An album from like The early The way he structured it Like the early 2000s As far as like I could tell he was very calculated In what he was doing The music The track listing The sequencing Like he paid attention 2000s. As far as like, I could tell he was very calculated in what he was doing.
Starting point is 00:41:45 The music, the track listing, the sequencing, like he paid attention to all the things that artists used to pay attention to. Yeah. And I was surprised.
Starting point is 00:41:56 I'm not going to lie to you. Like I'm not the biggest Travis Scott fan. I do recognize that he does make Even though y'all family? Are we family? I'm both in the
Starting point is 00:42:04 Kardashian family. Whatever. But I didn't think that. I was like almost intrigued. I was like, oh, wow. I didn't even know Maul had. You know, Maul's related to man industry, niggas. No, I'm not.
Starting point is 00:42:13 Like, Maul's really the family with these niggas. No, I'm not. Like, when Fadi put in the family? I didn't expect him to make such a well. And he usually does make good projects. But this was like like it really surprised me it felt like it was
Starting point is 00:42:28 definitely a year and some change like this wasn't something he had all his mans and them in the studio and let's knock this out in six months like it felt like
Starting point is 00:42:36 him and Mike Dean sat there for over a year just the two of them I hate these niggas I don't think I think it was the best placed features of any album this year they were everyone was perfect rory always has a new
Starting point is 00:42:50 compliment that i never heard i think that was the best structured placed feature that i've ever heard on an album you want to know my beef with joe like my real beef with joe well the real beef i want to i don't want to eat a fake beef. Let me do a real beef. Anytime we'll get into a topic or try to talk about something, he'll try to shut it down right away. But then if we're just not as vocal, yo, y'all don't even want to get into shit.
Starting point is 00:43:15 Y'all don't even want to talk about shit. Oh, yeah. And then the moment we talk about it, he just tries to shut it down and fuck it all up. All right. So let me give you a little information. That's not true. Let me give you a little information. That's not true.
Starting point is 00:43:26 Let me give you a little information. That's not true. Now I know. Let me give you some behind the scenes pre-production and post-production work. When I be jumping in with y'all, it's just to tease y'all and then for y'all to get right back to the shit. Never to step on it or stop it. I want to just crack on y'all and make jokes. It's not to get y'all to stop. My memory is bad
Starting point is 00:43:48 so I'll lose focus of some shit. I'm not thinking that that's the case with y'all. So I take advantage of that. Is that alright? Do you understand now? That was a good footnote. So it was the best placed features of all time. Yeah, you were saying. I didn't say of all time. I said of any
Starting point is 00:44:03 album this year. The last 30 years. 35 were saying? I didn't say of all time. I said of any album this year. The last 30 years. 35. No, I didn't think any feature went to waste. I feel like a lot of artists be like, all right, this might be my single, so let's put Drake there. Or let's, this is my weekend hook.
Starting point is 00:44:18 This is where my R&B shit should be. I felt like that wasn't thought about. It was just placed perfectly per song. The weekend sounds amazing, and that wouldn't really be a weekend song. I felt like that wasn't thought about. It was just placed perfectly per song. The Weeknd sounds amazing and that wouldn't really be a Weeknd song. I just think Sway Lee at the end of that sicko joint was just a good, perfect 12
Starting point is 00:44:35 seconds. It was just a really well put together album to me. I think it was well put together too. There wasn't enough differentiation between songs to me personally. I'm a Travis Scott fan. 17 scared me with Travis because sometimes a lot of his shit does sound very, very similar.
Starting point is 00:44:52 That's not true on his early projects at least. His last album, that was my beef with his last album. It seemed like I was in the minority with that. I was running around asking everybody what they thought about the album, what they thought about the first three, four, five songs. They were like, oh, this shit is crazy. And I kind of felt like, yo, the Travis fans are fronting.
Starting point is 00:45:10 Like, you know how you just feel like a fan base is lying? He's got a strong hive. The Travis hive is very strong. I know. And that last album wasn't a bad album. I like the last album. But my complaints were it didn't sound like he was there. were it didn't sound like he he was there it didn't sound like he really put his foot into that album a lot of the songs sounded similar to me uh it just sounded very lazy to me but when
Starting point is 00:45:37 when i was the only one that felt like that really i thought okay maybe I'm just wrong. Right. Maybe I'm off about that. Right. Intro Astroworld. And just from how they would promote in the fucking artwork. Right. I was like, oh, this is different. It's about to be some shit. This is different. Everything about how they moved before I heard any music told me that this was going to be different. And then when I heard the music, I said, oh shit,
Starting point is 00:46:06 this sounds different. This sounds like you really was present, trying to go there. The features, all the shit that they named, the sequencing, the little spots here and there. The production was incredible. Everything all around the place was great.
Starting point is 00:46:20 The concept, all of the Houston shit. And then when his numbers reflected the big jump, I said, oh, okay. See, now this is good. This is great to see. See, that's why I liked Scorpion a lot, I guess, because it's not very many albums. Kendrick, when he dropped, it's not very many albums where you can damn near pinpoint the direct attention that the artist team paid to the whole campaign right
Starting point is 00:46:48 to everything scorpion was that astroworld is that kendrick is always that koloids comes out in a cold wave but it's different so he has a way like i appreciated that with this album with him yeah and i think uh to to your two point of Travis sometimes sounding similar in that I think his sound grew with the shit like Stop Tryin' To Be God. I think that was
Starting point is 00:47:10 a notch up from a regular Travis. Who's Tryin' To Be God? Who's Tryin' To Be God? Who's Tryin' To Be God? Come on, come on, let's do it, let's do it. Who's Tryin' To Be God?
Starting point is 00:47:16 Who's Tryin' To Be God? Come on, come on, don't try to just have a smooth talk. You know who's Tryin' To Be God. You know who's Tryin' To Be God. Stop Tryin' To Be God. He killed it.
Starting point is 00:47:24 You just jazzy'd that shit up, Chris. What record is that? That's not Travis Scott. That's not Travis Scott. That's not Travis Scott. That's the second one. The second one is a pause. Stop trying to be gone.
Starting point is 00:47:40 Yes, it is. Wait, hold on. Why do you do that? What's up with y'all What instrument is this That's a pause Oh that's I'm hitting pause
Starting point is 00:47:49 Okay got you All five of your fingers Are hitting pause It's this finger Rory You went like this You did this You did this Like on the downbeat
Starting point is 00:47:58 So it was like So that's why I thought You were playing the keys But alright whatever That's cool Coffee Bean was a little different That's one of my favorite songs On the album I thought you were playing the keys, but all right, whatever. That's cool. Coffee Bean was a little different. That's one of my favorite songs on the album. I thought that was definitely not in the Travis realm.
Starting point is 00:48:11 It was kind of pre-Houston-ish to me. I wouldn't say boom bat, but remnants of that. Okay. I'm really bad at song titles, so I just be listening. It's the last... I'm terrible at song titles. Someone would be like, yo, what's your favorite song by them? Some of my favorite records, I don't know the name of the song.
Starting point is 00:48:28 At all. Ever. That's a new thing, though. Was that ever like that when y'all were younger? Yeah. CDs, tapes. That was even worse back then, honestly. Because you couldn't look at the phone.
Starting point is 00:48:39 Some of my favorite Biggie joints, I don't know the name of the record. Some of my favorite pop, I don't know the name of the record. Oh, I think just when the iPod came with the shuffle it kind of killed me sitting with an album for a while and that's the only thing that was in my CD player for the whole day see I couldn't switch it it was harder for me back then because there was no id3 tags or whatever you couldn't see the song title when it was on the CD player it was just track I would have I'd have the disc what do you what do you like bonding right now something? Nobody gives a fuck about any of this shit y'all. About reminiscing on how you consume music.
Starting point is 00:49:09 Why you looking at me, man? Because I let it rock for like 20 seconds. No, listen. What the fuck? All right, come on, man. You contact King. What's up? How did you feel about the album?
Starting point is 00:49:20 What album? Travis's. Did you like it? I thought I said it already. You liked it? I liked it. Okay. I liked it. I did like it. What about her? How you Did you like it? Oh I thought I said it already You liked it? I liked it Okay I liked it
Starting point is 00:49:26 I did like it What about her? How you feel about that project? I liked it I didn't like it Really? Really I was disappointed
Starting point is 00:49:34 Huh? Huh? I'm not gonna lie I was disappointed Oh man I'm coming here just trying to be the contrary No no no I was expecting
Starting point is 00:49:42 Coming off the other joints I was expecting this to like... Nah, it's only six songs. Whatever it is, she put it out. Yeah, no doubt. I'm just saying, with this project,
Starting point is 00:49:52 I'm not... I just didn't really have high expectations. It didn't do nothing for me. To me, a six song says, hey, I want to hit you with some music, but I'm not really
Starting point is 00:50:00 going to go that deep. Here's something in the meantime before my album. All right, so stop doing that. Well, I liked it. Sometimes you got to feed your fans. But's something in the meantime before my album. All right, so stop doing that. Well, I liked it. Sometimes you got to feed your fans. But it was good. Especially in this era.
Starting point is 00:50:08 I didn't like it. But tell me more. I like maybe two songs. Maybe. To me, that's good on a six song. Hold on. I maybe like two songs. I think I like three.
Starting point is 00:50:17 I'm not running back to play that. I'll go and play the other projects before I play that. I'm definitely not running back to play that. That doesn't have much replay value to me, these records she put out. I mean, any six song album like that doesn't really have a lot of replay value. That's the thing with the EP. Okay, was this...
Starting point is 00:50:37 All right, so can we compare for a second? I hate doing this. I don't want to hear your voice over this angel's crooning. I like this record. No, no, no. I don't want to hear your voice over this angel's crooning. I like this record. No, no, no. I don't want to hear you. I don't want to hear what you like. I don't want to.
Starting point is 00:50:51 I don't care. No, don't defend yourself. I'm just saying. That's one of them. What's wrong with you? That's one. Don't get crazy, Maul. That's one.
Starting point is 00:51:04 Parks. Your laptop is dying. I don't want no one else So we should be chillin' back Ain't nothin' wrong with that So tell me that, tell me that That's one. I like that record. I like that record. You like the Bryson Tiller record? Yes. It's cool. Yes, record? Yes It's cool Yes, you do
Starting point is 00:51:46 It's cool Do you like her rapping? Okay, let's compare for a second Is this project better than Tiana's? I like it about the same I think it has more replay value I like it about the same You think this project has more replay value than Tiana's project?
Starting point is 00:52:03 I really only go back to the beautiful joint. I skipped two on here. I skipped two on Tiana. Three, really, on Tiana. I skipped two on here, three on there. I don't hold it against either, so they're like the same to me. I skipped the Kanye record on Tiana. I skipped Work This Pussy and the gospel song I don't really need all the time.
Starting point is 00:52:24 And on this, I never want to hear Lost Souls, even though she did a good job rapping. I don't really need all the time. And on this, I never want to hear, I don't want to hear Lost Souls, even though she did a good job rapping. I don't want to hear that. Yeah, I think that was one of those records that. No, I liked it a lot. It's just not something I got to go turn that on real quick. You already give me a little Lauren on the singing. I don't need you to give me a little Lauren on the rapping,
Starting point is 00:52:42 especially with your beat selection and sample. I don't need that from her. I thought it was a good flip. I didn't think it was out of the singing. I don't need you to give me a little Lauren on the rapping, especially with your beat selection and sample. I don't need that from her. I thought it was a good flip. I didn't think it was out of the ordinary. Yeah, I just wasn't maybe my expectations were too high, maybe. I was really excited when I heard she was putting out a project. But this is not the project.
Starting point is 00:52:59 No, I know that. I know this isn't, but I'm saying I was excited to hear that she was releasing music, is what I'm saying. This As I Am record, I really hope that they put some money behind it and do something, and it does something for her. Because this record has all the elements of the R&B record that works. All right, let me turn this down. First of all, that snap. You hear that snap?
Starting point is 00:53:24 Love the snap. Most of the R&B records. First of all, that snap. You hear that snap? Love the snap. Most of the R&B records that work, they have the snap. Oh, wait. Chords. Spotty chords. Look. Piano chords. Hits.
Starting point is 00:53:35 All the good ones. And whenever you put Go Brooklyn or something. Yes, that's what I'm telling you. These drums with the Go Brooklyn sample, she was chasing. Travis used that too, right? That sonic shit? Yeah, this is gonna this is gonna work and you know what
Starting point is 00:53:48 you know what I can tell because on her last project she had a record did she have a record with Ty Dolla nah she needs one I think everyone does
Starting point is 00:53:57 you need one Parks needs one we all need a record with Ty Dolla her and Ty Dolla I think they need a record together on her last project
Starting point is 00:54:05 she put a joint out like a single that I thought was like it sounded like she was trying to chase a single this just sounds right up her alley
Starting point is 00:54:11 so I just I fuck with her a lot that's one of the records I like what did you guys think about the little poem when she was trying to tell us
Starting point is 00:54:17 about ourselves I cut it right off I listened no no no at first I listened to it and when I listened to it alone I really appreciated
Starting point is 00:54:24 like the artistic integrity all the words the way she put them together when I listened to it with and when I listened to it alone, I really appreciated the artistic integrity, all the words, the way she put them together. When I listened to it with my girl, I cut that shit right off. I skipped that shit ASAP. Skip! Yeah, no. I was curious with her writing staff. I know how talented she is and how much I've been vocal about how talented she is, but that's a lot of shit that a 20-year-old I don't think could write on this EP. Just her age, not who she is. She's only 20. of shit that a 20-year-old I don't think could write on this EP. Just her age,
Starting point is 00:54:45 not who she is. She's only 20? Who's 20? Her. For real? No way. Yes way. That's not her industry age.
Starting point is 00:54:52 Nah. That's not her industry age. Really? She's no older than 21. Damn. That's why I was like, listen, I was like, all right,
Starting point is 00:54:57 this is really good. I don't know any 20-year-old that could do this shit. Oh, she's only 20 or 21. We got to get her songs the fuck out of here and she ain't go through nothing. Who the fuck is she
Starting point is 00:55:08 so heartbroken about? This is why she was trying to hide the image a little bit because when she came into the industry, she was so young. So she didn't want people to remember that that was her.
Starting point is 00:55:19 Changed her name. Yeah, she changed her name. It was kind of like... Yeah, she's 21. Hey, listen. That's kind of the same story. Jhene was young, coming in real young, early. Definitely what Jhene is.
Starting point is 00:55:30 Hey, hey, listen. I would like a new Jhene album. There's two albums I'm waiting for. Jhene... Hold on. Jhene's last one wasn't that long ago. It was last... No, but it's fire.
Starting point is 00:55:42 It was fire. That was the one that was like three hours long, right? It was definitely... It was long. It was fire, though. It was fire. I enjoyed it. That's fire It was fire That was the one That was like Three hours long right It was definitely It was long It was fire though It was fire I enjoyed it That's why I was saying I don't know
Starting point is 00:55:49 She makes Jenea makes good music She makes Yeah she makes good Yeah good bodies of work Her I'm waiting on I'm waiting on Rihanna's shit Yeah whatever the word is
Starting point is 00:55:58 That all dance hall album Whatever she say She's coming with I'm waiting for it She can say whatever She can say a country album I'm still waiting for it Yeah I'm waiting for that too So can say whatever. She can say a country album. I'm still waiting for it. Yeah, I'm waiting for that, too.
Starting point is 00:56:07 So let's see. What else? What else? What else? Mac Miller came out. Mac Miller surprised the shit out of me. Parks, lower your eyebrows. Listen, man.
Starting point is 00:56:15 Your eyebrows are perky. And the eyebrows went all the way up when Mac Miller came up, boy. That's Rory's cousin. Rory has mad cousins. That's true. At this point, I'll tell anyone that has red hair and a pair of tattoos. Parks hit the group chat 6 a.m. on a Saturday morning. It was not 6 a.m.
Starting point is 00:56:31 Hey, I don't know about you guys, but this Mac Miller one is the one I'm kidding for. I don't even think it was 6 in the morning. I think it was 12.01. I think the album had been out for one minute. Yeah, yo, nobody was even in there talking. He's like, I don't know about you guys. This is the one that I'm putting on repeat. Talks cold to the classic at 12.14.
Starting point is 00:56:49 Classic, for sure. Should have went triple. The album is 45 minutes. 12.14 is like a classic. Well, no, I will say this. I got cursed out for not bringing up Mac Miller's single from like last week or something he put out a single
Starting point is 00:57:03 and everybody's like, yo, what about Mac Miller? I had no idea he was coming out with that album. Me neither. And it's actually pretty good. I've never really been like a super Mac Miller guy. Mac Miller makes good bodies. So my thing, I enjoyed the album, but it was hard to listen to it and not think of his last album because his last album
Starting point is 00:57:18 was fucking... His last album was better. Really? No, his last album was really good. His last album was better. You didn't hear his last album? I don't know if I did. He makes good music. His last album was real good. I feel like was better. You didn't hear his last album? I don't know if I did. He makes good music. His last album was real good. I feel like I've heard all his albums one time and never listened to them again. So this album was like, let me put this shit on. The last one was more like in this wave where it's not just straight boom bap rapping. Like he changed his artistry, if you will.
Starting point is 00:57:36 Yeah, he's trying to be a little... I mean, you got to give him credit because he does produce a lot of this shit and play a lot of these instruments. Well, it was like live horn sections and shit on this, which I'm a sucker for. You get horn sections and roads and live drums on a song, I'm probably going to like that shit. I do think some of the... I never looked at Mac Miller as like the super lyrical guy, but I do think he focused a little too much on the production. And I think some of the content suffered because of it.
Starting point is 00:58:00 I wasn't really listening to what he was saying. I was just listening to how it sounded. Okay. Did y'all hear YG's album at all? Mm-hmm. I gave it one listen. I listened to it twice. All right,
Starting point is 00:58:09 so this is YG's third album? Yeah. Yes. It is, yeah, third. So which one is... Did Tune It and Boot It get an album? Which one is the real YG?
Starting point is 00:58:20 This one kind of goes back to... I mean, it was him and Mustard again, so it at least sort of sounds like Crazy... What was it called? My Crazy Life? My Crazy Life.
Starting point is 00:58:28 Which to me is a classic. I love that album. So I don't... I don't think this album sounded like that one. I was going to say, I didn't hear any reminisce. I don't think this was... It didn't remind me of it.
Starting point is 00:58:40 I guess it's just the Mustard and YG connection that at least gave me Somewhat back in that Whereas the second album he used a bunch of different producers It didn't really sound This sounded more Not super producer mustard But like more polished mustard My Crazy Life was like real grimy
Starting point is 00:58:58 Also had Terrace Martin did a lot of that shit Which will change your album Just with one person yeah but nah this YG one I'll give it another listen
Starting point is 00:59:09 again I've only listened to it once but it wasn't my favorite out of all the albums that came out I liked it though on Friday when I put it on I was like
Starting point is 00:59:15 oh I like this it's good because the second album I didn't really like that much and I think I listened to it in my living room I don't know if that's
Starting point is 00:59:21 the best place to hear a YG album nah I was listening to it on the TV when me and my girl were just hanging out, having some drinks or whatever, and I was like, you got to put the subwoofer on. Hearing that album without music, without bass, is not going to cut it.
Starting point is 00:59:34 But I thought it was pretty good. Content King, we don't want to interrupt you. What did you think of the album? You seem disinterested. Maul, did you listen to the album? Which one? YG This is like four songs
Starting point is 00:59:49 What did you think? I didn't go through the whole joint I mean, it's YG Is that Thunder? Yes Lightning? That's the choir song Don't worry about that
Starting point is 00:59:59 Nah, I checked the weather I didn't see nothing about rain It's coming It says QS Next to the choir song You didn't see about rain It's coming It says QS Next to the choir song You ain't see that? You gotta look for the QS I just thought
Starting point is 01:00:09 I just thought it was cool, Rory Since you asked I just thought it was Alright I'm definitely gonna listen to it Honestly, I've been I've been stuck on Astroworld
Starting point is 01:00:22 And I listened to that Buddy project The project is dope Shit is dope, right? Yeah A lot of people telling me To check out the Buddy project Yeah, I listened to it And project the project is dope shit is dope right yeah a lot of people telling me to check out the Buddy project yeah and they're judging me
Starting point is 01:00:28 for not having checked out that Buddy project reminds me of soundtracks from like dope 90's movies hmm like you know what I mean
Starting point is 01:00:36 it gave me that feel like from a dope Spike Lee movie hmm I liked it yeah I liked that project did you guys listen to
Starting point is 01:00:43 the gangster Travis Scott the Baka project? No. No. I didn't hear Baka yet. No. You heard it? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:00:49 How is it? It's cool. It's what you think it is. Yeah? Is Baka saying really gangster things over things that sound like Travis Scott? I got to check that out. Honestly, I do have to check it out. His Know My Name single, I love that record.
Starting point is 01:01:03 But, you know, the project was what I thought it was going to be. All right. I'm going to check it out. His Know My Name single. I love that record. But, you know, the project was what I thought it was going to be. Right. I'm going to check it out. Let me go back to Astroworld for two seconds.
Starting point is 01:01:12 Y'all pay any mind to the Drake Checks Over Stripes line? A lot of people was asking for some in-depth breakdown on that Travis shit. Like the lyrics
Starting point is 01:01:24 were super in-depth? Yeah. He's not the guy for that. And I don't think he would say he was that guy. But does that confirm though that Pusha made Aubrey lose his
Starting point is 01:01:34 Adidas deal? You can assume there was some shady business going on with the child thing. I don't think Drake's just saying that for no reason.
Starting point is 01:01:44 No, he lost the deal. And he didn't lose it on great terms. I don't, yeah, but I don't think Drake's just saying that for no reason. Nah, he lost the deal. And he didn't lose it on great terms. I don't, yeah, but I don't think Wait, you think he lost the deal or didn't want to do it? I just don't think Pusha is capable of making Drake lose anything. Shit. I don't think he is. Drake is way too big of an artist. No, I don't think
Starting point is 01:01:59 Is Pusha like a president or some shit of artist relations or some shit? I would love to know what that means. I don't care what Pusha is as he is. I'm dying to know what that means. to stand by our company. So you don't think there's any juice?
Starting point is 01:02:11 They got to stop doing that. You don't think there's any? There's no juice there? I'm just saying, I don't think Pusha can stop Drake from getting anything. I don't,
Starting point is 01:02:19 he didn't stop anything. A lot, no, yeah, no, no, no, I disagree. A lot of those contracts, especially for the type of money that's in the Drake contract, they have clauses and shit where if some info is leaked or if you break some shit, then they have a right to be able to pull out.
Starting point is 01:02:36 So when you say I don't think Push can do it, yeah, I agree with you. But if Kanye, who's a pretty high-ranking executive at Adidas, I'm assuming, got some info and shared it to Push and Push leaked it, then somebody would have wanted to pull out the deal. I don't know if it was Aubrey or Adidas. I could see Drake pulling out of that deal before Kanye or Push is stopping him from fucking up that deal. I could see that. But wait a minute. Y'all was dying to get the Drake Jordans.
Starting point is 01:03:06 Tell the truth. Tell the truth. Don't lie. Do not lie. There was a pair that was dope. There was a pair of the OVO J's that was dope. You waited in line? I'm not.
Starting point is 01:03:17 I'm never waiting in line for no sneakers. But I'm off the Jordan thing. I'm not really. I'm waiting for one more pair. You're not going to get the Supreme Js? No, I'm cool. Did they even sell the Drake Jordans? The Kith LeBrons?
Starting point is 01:03:30 No. The Kith Odells? No, thank you. The Kith Victor Caruchis? No, thank you. The Caruchi Cruises? No, thank you. The Caruchi Cruises.
Starting point is 01:03:40 I might call my girl some Caruchi Cruises. I would. I would. I would. That's a couple that looks happy and in love. Yeah. And they both look pretty in shape. Everyone looks happy and in love when it's new. I see a few pictures of me in thin wear.
Starting point is 01:03:57 I'm like, you can tell I don't want to be there. The first three months. I don't want to be in that picture. The first three months is goals. Nah, Carucci and Victor Cruz haven't taken a picture with shirts on in months. They've been in tropical weather shirtless. They've been in LA. And they're both the same complexion.
Starting point is 01:04:15 They've just been in LA. No, they're not. They are underneath the Hawaiian sun. Listen, whatever sun they're underneath, it has them both looking pretty golden. Both with sand on their arms. Is Vic on the team? Ain't he on the Bears? He's on Kith.
Starting point is 01:04:33 Vic going to fuck you up. Vic going to fuck you up. This is a fedora moment? Vic going to fuck. He going to fuck you up too, Joe. Wait, what did I say that was bad? I didn't say nothing. He going to fuck both of y'all. I didn't even say I say that was bad I didn't say nothing I didn't even say nothing
Starting point is 01:04:46 no but I didn't say it Rory wait did I say something that wasn't knowledge I didn't cut it out don't do that
Starting point is 01:04:52 you did I didn't know that nah we gotta leave it now he plays for Kiff is he not in every Kiff ad I don't have some special information I see him on Kiff
Starting point is 01:05:00 what do you mean he plays for Kiff is there a Kiff team yeah have you seen their ads he's in every ad nah I think Fab is on it? Have you seen their ads? He's in every ad. No, I think Fab is on that team, too. What team?
Starting point is 01:05:08 Wait, and what's wrong with the Kiff? That is the starting backcourt for Kiff. Victor Cruz and Fab. I want to be on the Kiff team. That's a nasty backcourt. That's a nasty backcourt. You don't think that's like the, what's the, the Clay, what's Clay and the Splash Brothers? No.
Starting point is 01:05:24 I would leave Fab wide open from three. Shoot it. Did you see Fab's Gucci outfit? Yeah. We put it in a group chat. I saw it. You didn't reply. Fab's going to fuck you up.
Starting point is 01:05:34 You didn't respond. I didn't respond, no. Where's my head for? You didn't like the glasses? No, I didn't like a lot about it. And that just hurt me because it's like, damn. But you know what? No.
Starting point is 01:05:43 That was Fab's slip up moment though. What you mean? That's the first time I've seen Fab slip like that in years. I don't care what nobody says. That outfit, I was just like,
Starting point is 01:05:52 nah, Fab. It must have been, he looked like they lost his luggage and he just made something happen. Like, I'm going to make it happen. You know what I'm saying? Because Fab ain't slipped
Starting point is 01:05:59 in 25 years. There was a couple little slips. Not like that. Not like that. That was the give me whatever's designer fit. That's what that was. There was a couple little slaps. Not like that. Not like that. That was the give me whatever's designer fit.
Starting point is 01:06:08 That's what that was. That was, because it was unique because I said, maybe it's just me. But then I went under the comments and niggas was like,
Starting point is 01:06:14 nah, we love you Fab, but this ain't it. He had on a Gucci big headband. No, but he's wore that before. He's also worn a paper towel.
Starting point is 01:06:22 No, but it was, it was the, it was the, it was the, it was the everything together. And it was the it was the it was the it was the everything together and it was the strut yeah
Starting point is 01:06:28 the way they caught the flick yeah how can I tell the way he was walking in a still photo yeah when they catch you when they catch you
Starting point is 01:06:36 your first step as a guy like that's not supposed to be for us that's for the woman yeah we should never our feet
Starting point is 01:06:44 our feet should be together at all times. You're only supposed to catch us when we getting out the vehicle. Like on the first step out. I don't want that. Because when I'm in stride, I can look nasty. There's no way to look cool in stride. But I judge niggas, first of all, if you even get a pick taken of you getting out the V. No, but if paparazzi is out there, yeah, you can't.
Starting point is 01:07:06 What you going to do? Paparazzi's not waiting for me anywhere. Or you, nigga. Not you. I'm just saying. None of us here. In general, if I'm a celebrity and I'm a guy, I would only want them to catch my initial step out of the car.
Starting point is 01:07:18 If you want me to do something with my legs, I'll give you the one foot up on them. I'll give you the one foot on the wall action. Nah, but you can't pose, though, so you can't do that. No, I give you the one foot up on them. I give you the one foot on the wall action. Nah, but you can't pose, though, so you can't do that. No, I still pose. Yeah, no, you can't pose. Not for paparazzi. You tripping.
Starting point is 01:07:31 No, I'm talking about for sin. Oh. What the fuck are you talking about? I thought we'd been established that paparazzi is not taking pictures of me. No, I know that. I'm just talking about we talking about if they do catch you in stride, it's always nasty as a man. Like, a man in stride
Starting point is 01:07:46 in a still frame is always disgusting. Fab first step was nasty in that he had the Timbs with a zipper with tube socks. I don't care what they are. I'm just telling you
Starting point is 01:07:57 what they were, bro. Joke of the stylist and all of a sudden got all this to say. I'm going to call Fab now. He ain't going to answer. He's going to know it's bullshit. He's going to know it's bullshit.
Starting point is 01:08:09 He's not answering the phone. He won't answer and text you and say, yo. He's going to text back and be like, yo, nah, I'm not for it, Duke. You're not booing me on your podcast. Nah, I've seen your little show. You're not catching me out there. Well, y'all just talk. No, I want this to directly go into the dial
Starting point is 01:08:27 that has to be that segway did Emily put that ensemble together more don't say ensemble it was an ensemble that's an ensemble those things only go together you can never wear that shirt you can't wear those glasses
Starting point is 01:08:43 that's an ensemble. I know an ensemble when I see one. That was an ensemble. An ensemble? Yeah, ensemble. Yeah, for sure. Because you got to put the boot, and I think he was going with the top of the leather, the boot to the leather shorts.
Starting point is 01:09:00 I saw where he was going with it. He just didn't quite get us there. We didn't all the way get there together He dropped you at the corner Yeah Come on Fab Give it to us You know he's not answering
Starting point is 01:09:09 Fab is never answering First of all you don't The person you called The person you called God Does not give a fuck with you Nah The person
Starting point is 01:09:16 He's coming back Shh Yeah Nah Yo what's good Fab This is Joe Budden From the joe button podcast don't say anything incriminating all right all right we me and maul were talking about you behind your back
Starting point is 01:09:35 and and because i fuck with you that's usually how podcasts go that is a podcast no wait but listen i'm not phony like that. So I would never do that. I have to ask you. The Gucci picture. Gucci picture? Girl, you know the pic, nigga. You know the picture. The ensemble.
Starting point is 01:09:54 You know the picture with the Gucci head wrap with you taking the first step in the Balmain Thames. You know the pic. Come on. Oh, okay. Come on, man. Are you standing by it? What about it? Aw.
Starting point is 01:10:10 We got that as your one outfit slip up in the past 20 years. Maul does. I mean, everybody, even in that space, everybody, I guess, has an outfit. If you say 20 years and you have an outfit, I guess, has an outfit. If you say 20 years and you have an outfit, I'm not mad at that. But second of all, some people dig it.
Starting point is 01:10:32 That outfit's to each his own. You know what I'm saying? I mean... Fab, did you just say to each his own? You think everybody's thumbed up,
Starting point is 01:10:41 every one of y'all niggas? I am the worst dressed nigga in the world. No, mad thumbs down for my outfit. Yeah, for sure. But all right, listen. So my last question is this. Because forget about the outfit. Did you agree with the photographer catching you when you were taking your first step?
Starting point is 01:10:59 Oh, I mean. Come on. Be honest. I mean. He fucked it up. We can't take the first step pictures. Come on, man. We can't.
Starting point is 01:11:12 I don't know. I don't know. Maybe I, you know, I wasn't in no like whole crazy position. You know what I mean? If it was like that, I just wouldn't post it. If I was looking crazy, like, you know, if I was, you know if it was like that i just wouldn't post it if i was looking crazy like you know if i was you know looking crazy then i wouldn't report but i you know there's some that's to each his own too i guess you know maybe that was a picture that you wouldn't
Starting point is 01:11:36 have posted you know i was hoping your pictures are pretty flat ground like i don't even see any motion in joke standing there with one hand in his pocket. With his eyebrows bent up and looking away to the scene. You know what I mean? I understand why
Starting point is 01:11:57 it wouldn't be in your... Thank you, sir. I appreciate it. It was fun talking to you Alright I gotta go Oh now you gotta go Bye nigga That was funny
Starting point is 01:12:12 That was pretty funny He was at To two each his own So he know He kinda felt some way About that fit Niggas don't just say To each his own twice
Starting point is 01:12:20 He saw the backlash He read the comments I couldn't even I called to get some Good jokes over Once he started answering for real. He won't repeat that
Starting point is 01:12:27 outfit again though. Trust me. That outfit is out of here. Damn it was one more nigga I wanted to call. Oh let me see. Call Pizza Hut. Why would I call Pizza Hut?
Starting point is 01:12:40 I don't know. Get a pizza. Pizza Hut was in his last phone that was stepped on and broken. You don't have that number anymore. Oh since y'all want to talk about pizza I'll just tell y'all this. I don't know. Get a pizza. Pizza Hut was in his last phone that was stepped on and broken. You don't have that number anymore. Oh, since y'all want to talk about pizza, I'll just tell y'all this. I read the report.
Starting point is 01:12:50 Chicago will be the site of the U.S. Pizza Museum. It's official, you bitch-ass niggas. I mean, but the U.S. is trash. They don't make the best decisions. And I saw a bunch of niggas replying with, oh, the New York Dollar Pizza is the one. Shut up, you fucking degenerates. The New York Dollar Pizza is not the one. The New York Dollar? You talking about the two brothers? Yeah, that's not the one. Shut up, you fucking degenerates. The New York dollar pizza is not the one.
Starting point is 01:13:06 The New York dollar pizza? You talking about the two brothers? Yeah, that's not the one. That shit terrible. That shit is terrible. I mean, when you're broken in a pinch, yeah, it's the one. I mean, if you broke, anything tastes good. That's true. A saltine cracker tastes good if you broke.
Starting point is 01:13:16 Okay, so now let's see. What else is really important? All right, we did that. Oh, that's who I wanted to call. Who? Ish. For what? Let me tell you who I wanted to call. Who? Ish. For what? Let me tell you who I wanted to call, Ish.
Starting point is 01:13:33 I thought I was doing a great deed, and I surprised Sin with a ticket to On the Run to see Jay-Z and Beyonce on Friday night at MetLife. You didn't go? No. You're weird. Well, we knew that. But why am I weird for that? Why wouldn't you go to that show?
Starting point is 01:13:50 Y'all know I'm not a concert guy. But, I mean, that's a thing. That's a weird thing not to be. There's nobody I want to see. He's not a concert guy. He was standing up singing the entire fucking Solange set at Radio City. Because my girl wanted to see Solange. She wanted to see Beyonce, too.
Starting point is 01:14:07 So I got her the ticket. But you didn't go. But Hov was there, too. I didn't want to go. You could rap with him. I didn't want to do that part. Nor would they have invited me on stage to rap with Hov. No, he meant like, in the crowd, you could rap along.
Starting point is 01:14:18 You'd make a good hype man, though. Rory. You could rap along to him. Let Rory get his shit off. Go ahead. No, I don't think he was saying anything bad. Somehow I'm getting attacked a lot this podcast. I don't really know why.
Starting point is 01:14:29 Do I deserve it? There's nothing wrong with rapping along to Hov at a Hov concert. You wouldn't be Hov's man. No, I guess I would. Bleak did it. I would do it. To be a hype man for Hov? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:14:41 I don't think that's a bad thing either. That's not a bad gig. I don't think Hov has a hype man anymore though. Yeah, he got rid of that a long time ago. Beyonce is. He tried. No, he's Beyonce's hype man.
Starting point is 01:14:50 Vice versa, yeah. Well, that's kind of what I want to call issue about. But let me finish Gabby from Come on, open phone. That's kind of what I
Starting point is 01:15:00 That's your passcode. Yo, open phone. Can I give Lauren... Industry shit. Word. What's the search? Bad people named Gabby in the industry. Word.
Starting point is 01:15:12 Sure. All right, so listen to this. So, this is a funny story, and then I'll get to the end and tell you why I want to call Ish. My girl was really going crazy about this Beyonce and whatever whatever shit so on Friday I guess that's when the concert was happening so everybody with tickets was tweeting my girl making
Starting point is 01:15:30 her feel really bad so then she just thought I was a trash boy friend because she didn't have no tickets so I made a last minute phone call I got her a ticket right her only uh because there was only one ticket available and I wouldn't win I'm not a concert guy. Let her go have a blast. She was going to go with Angie Martinez. She was going to have a good time, right? Okay. A little name drop there, but that's who got the ticket. Shout out to Angie, and thank you for that.
Starting point is 01:15:53 So her and I had something to do, so we went to dinner. The dinner was supposed to be done by 8, so she could go to the concert and have a blast and see Beyonce, right? So we went to the dinner and after the dinner, we went home. She threw something on and I thought Friday night she would go to the concert.
Starting point is 01:16:13 I would go fuck around and do ratchet shit with my friends and my homeboys. Okay. Somehow she then needed a ride to the concert, right? She wanted to drink maybe. Enjoy herself.
Starting point is 01:16:26 This is where as a boyfriend, I couldn't hide the perturbed face. You know as a boyfriend, you put your face on, but you're not really ready to get into the beef. You just are showing her that there's a beef ready. Bad timing. Yeah, I had that face on. But it's cool. Get in the car, drive her to MetLife. Guess how much traffic is at MetLife?
Starting point is 01:16:47 You guessed it. Mad people waiting to see Beyonce. On a Friday. On a Friday in New Jersey. Sat there for mad long, did mad illegal tricks to eventually get her to her destination so she could meet Angie Martinez and go inside and watch the concert, right? Sure. Finally get in there. I pull up to the fucking front of the door.
Starting point is 01:17:08 I say, that's right, baby. I love you. Get out and have a good time. She said, you don't expect me to just get out and walk around with all of these people while we don't even know where Angie is, right? That's a fair point. True.
Starting point is 01:17:20 Hmm. That's fair. I'm not mad at that. You just put her in Gen Pop? Go ahead. Oh, yeah. You went to go to the concert, honey. No, you can't do sin like that.
Starting point is 01:17:31 Why? You know what the fuck was he? You're the only one who want to see Beyonce? But I can't say that. I didn't say that. I can't say that. I can't say that. So I just made an even stronger perturbed face.
Starting point is 01:17:42 And I didn't say nothing. And we waited for 30 minutes which turned into an hour which turned into like 90 minutes i was waiting a long time in an expensive car yeah yeah anyway yeah beyonce eventually came on they went in late they had a blast but i say all that to say i love the fact that he hasn't said j-Z at any point I'm waiting to see where Ish comes in when you're surprising your girl with Beyonce tickets and she's in the beehive
Starting point is 01:18:13 you think that that's a free guy night to do fuck shit is the point of me elongating the story so when I waited for an hour and a half and I saw Friday night's hours just passing by,
Starting point is 01:18:29 I didn't really have any time to do very much. So when I left, I left the wrong way. 50 minutes to get home. But I left and I made one last ditch phone call
Starting point is 01:18:41 to see if there was some fuck shit I could get into. I called ish It's didn't answer So I said, you know what food is at home. Let me just go home eat dinner lay in bed watch TV Just do my guy thing at home, right? The next day comes As it usually does you thought you had rollover minutes? Ish texts me in the afternoon. He says, yo, seeing you hit me last night was at the show.
Starting point is 01:19:25 Wait, I'm so stupid that because I'm now talking to a guy, I had no idea what fucking show he was talking about. So I was stuck there trying to figure out. He just said show like everybody should know the show. Show, show, show, show. Wait a minute. This nigga Ish was at the Beyonce show. And Jay-Z.
Starting point is 01:19:43 So I called. And Jay-Z. It's a huge part of this. So I called Ish. No, we got to call him. Even if it was just a Beyonce show, you could be a dude at a Beyonce show. I went to the lemonade shit. Granted, I was with women.
Starting point is 01:19:55 Sure. You better not be with the homie. Going with the homies to the lemonade show? With the homies, kind of crazy. Not at lemonade, no. You can't even drink lemonade with the homies. No. Better be some Koy lemonade with the homies. No. Better be some Koyak.
Starting point is 01:20:08 What if it's Simply? Nah, fuck that. How you reach yourself? Oh, damn it. Yeah, he had the DC show. Anyway, when I hit Ish the next fucking day and he said, I was at the Hov concert. Okay.
Starting point is 01:20:21 Good way to word it. And I said, no, you weren't. No, you weren't. No, you weren't. You had the Beyonce show, my nigga. Don't try to make it sound tough, swaggy. You was there too. Like, no, I wasn't. You was there.
Starting point is 01:20:35 No, I was home. I was home. And let me say, boy, I was there in that parking lot. Yeah. Now you see why. Singers wouldn't look away No What?
Starting point is 01:20:47 Locked in Wait you was trapped for an hour And had to do the side eyes Yes That's tough for a walk by Yeah You have to sit there And talk about
Starting point is 01:20:56 Oh look at her shoes Check that on Converse Yo Sin Ben stopped falling For a look at her nice shoes check out on converse yo send Ben Stop Falling for a look at her nice shoes yeah anyway yeah I just
Starting point is 01:21:12 I just thought it was funny I just wanted I wanted to call it so he could defend being the only guy at the Beyonce concert it was the Hov show there was guys there
Starting point is 01:21:19 the Hov came out for three minutes how long the Hov came out for the whole show it's the two of them the whole time so why do Beyonce fans be acting How long did the whole show came out for? The whole show. It's the two of them the whole time. So why do Beyonce fans be acting like it's not a whole show?
Starting point is 01:21:28 Because Beyonce could come off of one song and they'd be there. Yeah. Beyonce could do a hook and they'd say it was Beyonce's show. Does he do Where I'm From? He should do Where I'm From. If he does Where I'm From, it's a whole show. I think he did that. See?
Starting point is 01:21:43 I think so. Let's see. What else is really important? Colton Roach, Azealia Banks says Beyonce needs to get over herself. You know, a couple weeks ago on this show,
Starting point is 01:21:56 you know, I'm just telling you what she said, I was kind of, you know, I was praying for Azealia and I'm still praying for her. But sometimes we gotta Just let things go
Starting point is 01:22:06 He lied Yeah Y'all niggas worship him You still praying for her? I'm still gonna pray for her Just quietly How many times do you think People are full of shit
Starting point is 01:22:14 When they say I'm praying for somebody All the time I'm definitely full of shit Right now I don't think more When have you ever Got on your knees to pray
Starting point is 01:22:24 And Azealia Banks Came up on your mind I don't think more. When have you ever got on your knees to pray and Azealia Banks came up on your mind? I don't think more prays for niggas. What? I do. Don't strike me as the pray for a nigga type.
Starting point is 01:22:32 What? Trust me, I pray. Azealia Banks is not in my prayers. I pray for my friends, but I'll be honest, sometimes I just put y'all in the friend category.
Starting point is 01:22:41 I don't name names. If you guys got something going on specific maybe i'll keep you all in my prayers but sometimes you just get the friend like my friends yeah i generalize my friends my homies loved ones family i need to know which one of my friends are actually specifically naming me in their prayers i feel like i should hold them at a higher friendship pedestal than Rory. Nah, but you're my friend and you're in
Starting point is 01:23:07 the group. I don't like that. I always feel guilty about it when I'm I always say prayers in my group chats. I just put all my group chats in my
Starting point is 01:23:16 prayers. Just the group chat name. Our group chat name is really long. Well, how many group chats do you have?
Starting point is 01:23:21 Because now I'm like, what if you just got like some random Maul is a group chat hoe. Because I have two group chats. You're? Because now I'm like, what if you just got like some random... Maul is a group chat hoe. I'm a group chat hoe. Because I have two group chats. You're in our group chat,
Starting point is 01:23:28 the Rockets group chat. I'm not in the Rockets group chat. You are in the Rockets group chat. The real OVO one. Not ours. You and Trev. That's two people. That's not a group chat.
Starting point is 01:23:40 Okay. Do you text Trev? Yeah. Was he ever on the Rockets? Yeah I am You in the Rockets group chat It's not a group chat
Starting point is 01:23:49 You in the OVO group chat No you don't Y'all a group No Not in the OVO group chat A group is two people though If we keep it a buck Was Mobb Deep a group?
Starting point is 01:23:57 We're the group That's true Yeah nigga that's the end of the group Outkast was a group That's true Omar alright So you're our LA insider Did you see Game Fighting his teammate
Starting point is 01:24:05 At the Drew League I feel like Game Is always fighting But yeah That's what I appreciate about Game Game is always up for a square one But your own teammate though Like come on man
Starting point is 01:24:16 What'd he do I don't I have no idea I seen the full tape And They looked like they were Just arguing about something Wait how you got to see
Starting point is 01:24:24 The full tape Because Maul was recording. No, it was on the internet. You just had to search for it. And they were arguing. It seemed like it was after a timeout. They were arguing. And Game, I think, slapped him or swung on him something.
Starting point is 01:24:38 How many games do they play in this league? The Drew League? Yeah. It's throughout the summer, so every weekend. So this is it like what? Eight? Maybe 12 games. Have you ever played?
Starting point is 01:24:47 You could probably fight your teammate if you only played 12 games. No, but come on, man. You can't fight your teammate. Not like that. Listen, if you go into Huddlewood halftime and your team is losing it, you feel like homeboy is really not – like, I mean. Yeah, but come on. You can mix it up a little bit.
Starting point is 01:25:02 In the locker room, maybe. No. Not on the court. It ain't starting in the locker room. Do they even have locker rooms in the Drew League? It ain't starting there. It started here. Let's get to it.
Starting point is 01:25:10 Nah. And how long is the timeout? Yeah, that matters. That matters. That matters a lot. If it's a full timeout. I don't want to fight for the full timeout. But 20 seconds?
Starting point is 01:25:22 20 second timeout, we can get 10 on the square up real quick. I really appreciate games's square up game. I do. I smiled to myself when I saw that for a few reasons. One, you don't really get to see niggas squaring up anymore. So anytime you see somebody doing it, I smile. It's a lost art. Yeah, but Game popped on him and then squared up.
Starting point is 01:25:43 Well, I didn't see that part in my video. Yeah, he popped on him. Well, isn't Well, I didn't see that part in my video. Yeah, he popped on him and then squared up. Well, isn't that, you should square up after you pop on somebody. Oh, no, you have to. Now it's like, nigga, it's on now. And I appreciated Game's history of run-ins on camera and being filmed. I smiled for that. Run-ins on camera?
Starting point is 01:26:00 No, he's been holding the camera while he's been punching somebody. Yeah, that's true. Oh, and then that's the third reason I smiled. Because in watching the camera, when the last time you seen a nigga square up and get low in the square up, anybody that can fight that says to me that you can fight, I enjoy seeing niggas that can fight in their footwork and they fight. So I enjoyed all of it. I took all of that out of a 12-second clip. As soon as any nigga square up
Starting point is 01:26:26 there i'm looking at his feet and it was so i'm looking i'm the first thing i'm looking at is his feet his stance and what's going on game did exactly what i expected him to do get your feet right and get low i feel you yeah so i i enjoyed it I enjoyed it Yeah that was interesting And I Game ain't a short nigga So the nigga he was fighting I assume was about 6'8 Yeah he was tall
Starting point is 01:26:52 He was tall Did I identify who it was? I was looking It was a friend of his I mean he put out Some long paragraph Apologizing where I'm not even gonna read it
Starting point is 01:26:59 Because Game was trying To sound mushy Oh they're friends? Yeah Oh that's different then Yeah you can fight your friends Absolutely Yeah I fought every single one of them Yeah, you can fight your friends.
Starting point is 01:27:05 Yeah, that's fine. I fought every single one of them. Y'all never fought your friends? Every single one of them. Do you think that you should be able to fight your friends? Absolutely. You can fight your... It depends on what you're fighting about. Nah.
Starting point is 01:27:15 And I don't know if I'm fighting my friend at a basketball game like that. We could tweak it. That's the number one. I'm definitely smacking the shit out of my friend. We could do that in the parking lot away from everyone. I'm smacking you at a basketball game.
Starting point is 01:27:23 I'm not doing that to my friend. Do that away from me. Absolutely. No, that's where you fight. So where is it okay to fight your friend? If you're friends, you could go somewhere else.
Starting point is 01:27:31 We're not doing this in front of people. Yeah. It's my friend. Nah, that's what you're doing. I'm not popping on my friend in front of a bunch of strangers. I'm not doing that.
Starting point is 01:27:38 I agree with Mo. My friend? A nigga I call my friend? I don't know anything about the Drew League. Is there actual people in the crowd and shit? Yeah. It's a big thing
Starting point is 01:27:47 Oh okay It's a league It's definitely a league Yeah my friend though I'm not in front of strangers Yeah that's kind of crazy But y'all would fight your friend Oh yeah
Starting point is 01:27:55 Of course I have Fight friend Anybody I don't know if you're really friends If you never At least tussled And scrapped a little bit
Starting point is 01:28:01 Nah you're friends if you never Cause I got Close friends that I've never tussled with, but we got arguments and disputes, but we never got physical, but that's definitely my friends. Never punched each other's arms, at least, you know what I mean?
Starting point is 01:28:12 Something. Yeah, but not in a serious. Which of you guys' friendships do you value more? The friend that you have fought with or argued with a bunch, or the friend that everything has just been kind of or argued with a bunch or the friend that everything has just been kind of cool and copacetic
Starting point is 01:28:26 my best friends I've fought you said cool Rory nah I don't know the argument I do learn a lot we can argue and we can you know what I'm saying
Starting point is 01:28:35 but it's like if we never got physical that to me that says we both know each other so well that nothing will drive us to a physical point the people I know best we've at least at some point tussled maybe not like punching each other in the face but tussled
Starting point is 01:28:49 i feel like my friends that i never got physical with we definitely have a different relation like we know each other well joe you were saying physical or just like altercate verbal altercations i'm down for you i'm down for both like i'm from the school of if you my friend we will still be friends no matter what absolutely so we can physically fight verbal for sure I'd much rather have
Starting point is 01:29:09 the friends that I've had verbal arguments we can verbally fight because we agreed on everything like that's crazy I've never done something fucked up
Starting point is 01:29:16 you've never done something like there's nothing that we ever disagreed on plus your best friends know how to just say some shit that they know is going to piss you off and they're going to do it
Starting point is 01:29:24 on purpose to piss you off and at some point you might fight. I don't know. Did y'all care about Ray J's hat? No, but Ray J does. He kept moving it. You know what? I do care about it. Do you?
Starting point is 01:29:40 Yeah. I thought it was the perfect way to show how that show is put together. And I know that was killing the production team. Absolutely. I know in the editing room, they was like, Jesus Christ. They had to have been like, all right, let's just make a moment. This will go viral. Nah, I really hope that somebody noticed it.
Starting point is 01:30:02 They did. I don't know that. They did. I really hope that somebody noticed it. They did. I don't know that. They did. If I tell you all of the things that I've... If I tell you all the things Sin and I noticed
Starting point is 01:30:09 while we watched Love & Hip Hop, I can't say that they knew that. The production team noticed. It's just that what can they do about it? Did they know when Yandy was on the phone but the wire wasn't in it? Yeah. They knew that too, right?
Starting point is 01:30:21 Yeah. Oh, you think they just know everything? Yes. Oh, you a fucking... Because I'm going to tell you why. I'm going to tell you for the same reason Rory just said. They're hoping that some of those things catch on social media and that people run with it.
Starting point is 01:30:33 I think the Ray J thing was a happy accident. Yeah. The editor was like, yo, come here. This is nuts. We've shot this scene 15 times and he kept changing his hat. What do you want to use? And then they were like, listen, Twitter's going to go nuts. They're going to love it. They're going to eat it up.
Starting point is 01:30:48 It'll be a gift. Ray J's hat will be trending. I could see that happening to somebody else who wears hats. On Love & Hip Hop? Yeah. Oh, okay. Yeah, definitely. 100%. 1,000%. I didn't want to get into it. 1,000%
Starting point is 01:31:04 for sure. It's happening. Oh, wait. Where's my phone since we're talking about Love & Hip Hop? Call Safari again. Love & Hip Hop has had some moments like that. What's Stevie J's baby mother's boyfriend that was like the rapper that came off the plane in Atlanta? Either way, he was sitting there at the reunion.
Starting point is 01:31:23 The park's stupid. Either way, he was at the reunion sitting in the back with his phone. You could see all his apps on his phone. And he was pretending to be on it saying like, yeah, let's lock the deal down. Oh, that sounds like more money for me. I was like, yo, this show is nuts. Did you guys hear the new Safari? Joe, the only time I hear the new Safari is when you play the new Safari. How did you guys hear the new safari i told the only time i heard the new safari

Starting point is 01:33:06 I don't believe it. I don't believe it. I don't believe it. I don't believe it. I don't believe it. I don't believe it. I don't believe it. I don't believe it.
Starting point is 01:33:07 I don't believe it. I don't believe it. I don't believe it. I don't believe it. I don't believe it. I don't believe it. I don't believe it. I don't believe it.
Starting point is 01:33:08 I don't believe it. I don't believe it. I don't believe it. I don't believe it. I don't believe it. I don't believe it. I don't believe it. I don't believe it.
Starting point is 01:33:08 I don't believe it.
Starting point is 01:33:09 I don't believe it. I don't believe it. I don't believe it. I don't believe it. I don't believe it. I don't think I've ever heard someone Bonnie Marlowe and Big Con in the same bar in my life.
Starting point is 01:33:31 Now I'm complaining about the gunshots. That is two total different sides of the spectrum. I hate when you play niggas your new shit and they don't catch the vibe. No. That's your new shit? Yeah, no, I didn't catch that. No, no, that's the Farzman shit.
Starting point is 01:33:41 You was a writer? No, no, no. I have nothing to do with that. You got an eight on that? No. Oh. No. Adlib? Got an odd number. That was a writer? No, no, no. I have nothing to do with that. You got an eight on that? No. Oh. No. Ad-lib?
Starting point is 01:33:47 Got an odd number. That's a big thing. Joe got a seven on that. Woody Bamba Clot. All right, Dame, text me back. Joe with a Jamaican accent. I'm calling. Woody Bamba Clot.
Starting point is 01:33:57 Woody Bamba Clot. Woody Bamba. Dame, this is Joe Budden from the Joe Budden Podcast. How are you, sir? Joe's good, Joe. You're enjoying, you're in L.A., I'm assuming, yes? Oh, yeah, yeah. I'm in L.A. playing with my daughter.
Starting point is 01:34:12 Just getting ready to buy some, what do you want? What do you want? Dame, I just need clarity from you. What exactly is a culture vulture, and why is Leo a one? Let me clear my throat on that one. Pause. A culture vulture is someone that exploits the culture that he's not a part of, doesn't benefit the culture, and takes care of his culture and has no respect for the culture he's exploiting. And that's exactly why Lior is one because he's been making money off of our culture he is not part of it and he's been exploiting it never helping teaching or anything
Starting point is 01:34:51 doing what's in the best interest of his pocket over the culture and to add insult to injury he is not accepted in his own culture he cannot get no money in his own culture so he comes to ours acts like a big cat pretends we need him when we don't and then if and if someone even asks him a question he asks in tight he acts entitled like he did on our platform and then he pretends he owns something that he doesn't dame and disrespect and try to erase which they always do okay hold on baby hold this hold it up and and they always try to erase our history and act like the people that were really fighting for us
Starting point is 01:35:28 never existed. And I think he flagrantly displayed that in public just because he's so used to it. So he's a perfect example. As a matter of fact, I coined the term because of him. And he's also made it, Culture Vulture's also making it where a lot of history doesn't get made just because for their own personal benefit. So there's a lot of history that he's also made it culture vultures also make it where a lot of history doesn't get made just because for their own personal benefit so there's a lot of do you think that leo because
Starting point is 01:35:50 of him do you think that leo cohen has not contributed to hip-hop at all what i think he's done is exploited it and i don't think he's of it and that's all i'm addressing i don't care what he's done for it yeah but when you say he's not of it i'm not saying i'm not saying that it discredits anything he's done but just because someone's done good for hip-hop if he's done for it yeah but when you say he's not of it i'm not saying i'm not saying that it discredits anything he's done but just because someone's done good for hip-hop if he's a child molester he's still a child molester so all the good doesn't all all the molesting negates every bit of good that you do if you hurt the people especially my people and you make it where let me ask you a question don't you think it's a little foul that todd moskowitz and j-o week joey and julie all Cole have jobs over
Starting point is 01:36:25 got girls like Shari, Brian all the black girls in the industry have to work for all of these white people that don't know nothing about music? That's what he's done. He's killed our nepotism. He's used his nepotism. Todd Moskowitz can't even dance. He's a lawyer.
Starting point is 01:36:42 How does he get a job over someone from our culture? Why does Shari have to work for Todd Moskowitz or Julie Greenwald? Or why does Tina Davis not why does Tina Davis have to isn't running one of these one of these companies? I don't understand that because he's the one that's put all these people in business to further control our culture. Why is something called urban music run by anybody white or black music how could it be run by someone that's not black what is that for our culture bro oh you stumped me it's very fair you you you you stumped me a bit dear dame but i mean
Starting point is 01:37:20 i guess i don't really hold it against the white people it's not not a white thing. It's a non-culture thing. There are people of this culture that deserve it. Like, I like the little young kid, Ezra. You know, I'm not saying just people that don't care about the culture. Leo don't listen to no rap music. Okay. He don't even listen to music, and he never did. Did he ever teach anybody how to take care of themselves?
Starting point is 01:37:40 You know, instead he got mad at the fact that we figured out a way to make other money off our ancillary and then figured out a way to get it so then he invented the 360 he's cancer for the culture and then what he what does he do when somebody that's good for the culture wants to come around he's going to blackball them or make it where they don't exist so that means he's interfering with my relationship wherever he's at whether it's um um who's he blackballing oh no he's blackballing you well he just now said i'm blackballing meaning that if he's working for an institution that he doesn't own
Starting point is 01:38:09 he's not going to acknowledge any any business that i got to do over there and it's not his to do that and he just made that very very that's torturous interference like if i really feel like it i could put some money on his head and i've been thinking about doing it because he's already messed up so much but he's been so flagrant. You understand what I'm saying? Like he's been so brazen. He's so disrespectful. Every time I yelled at him, it wasn't for me. It was for y'all. Because he never talked to me like that. He would never fix his mouth to speak like that to me, to talk down on me or to tell me you didn't hear me talking. He would never even think about doing that. And he's not smarter than none of us. That's what's funny.
Starting point is 01:38:48 He swears he's smart. So I would love to publicly have a conversation with him so he could display his intellect. Can I organize? And here's another thing. I want to make this real clear what I don't really like. What I don't like that YouTube is doing is when there's a beef lyrically between
Starting point is 01:39:03 one of us youtube is paying an artist to respond and i personally know that and now now that i know behind it it makes sense so now now now youtube is cashing in on rap beef and they're paying people to respond what type shit is that now what happens if somebody gets hurt wow and then and now i'm no now i'm like it it must be Lior. Because that's what they've been doing. Whenever we got a beef with each other, they actually and that's what they do. They make it where we have a
Starting point is 01:39:31 beef with each other so they can profit. So when they ask him a question about Rockefeller, he starts to call other people's names out, not him. So we can fight each other. That's not happening, bro. I'm never fighting a rapper and nobody with my color of skin or from my culture. I i want to smoke with leo i want the ceo smoke so we can see how they do it in business i'm not a rapper damn i i'll be honest i'm gonna try to organize the smoke for you
Starting point is 01:39:56 please do get the smoke bro i i am and then you and then what you really want to do is ask him why he's really mad. All right. Shit, I'm with it. I'm going to set it up, Dane. I am. Like, he profits. They profit off of rap beef all the time. Let's do a YouTube event where me and Leo speak. Let them profit off.
Starting point is 01:40:15 Why they don't profit off of intellectual beef then? Pause. Yeah, no, I'm all for intellectual beef. So when a man calls another man out on a CEO boss level level then that's when they start saying they don't they don't exist but when two artists are getting ready to get at each other's neck violently physically in front of the whole culture they actually give them money to do it you need to ask him about that at youtube when you ask him that's why he's terrible for the culture because he profits off of our dysfunction that's the problem bro wow all right i i'm i am gonna try and set it up damn i'm gonna hit you when I'm in LA
Starting point is 01:40:46 I love you man him Todd Moskowitz Joey any one of them Julie Greenwald any one of them I'll talk to any one of them publicly any one of them just for us I'll do it for the culture cause none of them
Starting point is 01:41:02 are smarter than us I don't know how they have those positions over us. I hate that, man. I'm disgusted with that. That's why I left the business in the first place. Dame, I love you, man. I love you. I love you too, bro. You saw what happened. You was there.
Starting point is 01:41:17 I was there. I'm trying to be quiet. I'm trying to just shut up, man. Love, I'm going to hit you when I'm in L.A., man Love I'm gonna hit you I'm gonna hit you When I'm in LA dang I gotta go Alright bro What Yo pull up when you're in LA man
Starting point is 01:41:31 100 100% Alright bro Alright man later Shit Well No drop button Why don't I ever think To do the little drop while people are talking because that's like a thing right but it's annoying
Starting point is 01:41:53 it is annoying it's a thing but it's not the thing Dame is serious but he's been saying it for years this isn't a he just heard that he just he just wants to sit down and have a conversation and i understand why people don't want to have a conversation with dame i understand i know why they don't want to have a conversation
Starting point is 01:42:17 with him and it's i'll say dame and leo are two of the brightest men that i know i will say that so if they were to have a conversation, I would be glued to my seat. Absolutely. Yeah, but I don't, I feel like Leo doesn't. And Leo would have that conversation. I don't think he would.
Starting point is 01:42:36 I don't think so. No, he wouldn't have it. He won't. I'm saying under the right circumstance, I think he would have it. I think today if you asked him, he would say for what? Yeah. Just to do it? No, I don't think he does anything just to do it but i don't think he's afraid of it i think he's like i think kevin lowes won't sit in front of me and have a conversation
Starting point is 01:42:55 i think it's a few niggas that's afraid to sit in front of me and have a conversation i believe leo is afraid to sit in front of d. Okay. I believe that for a number of reasons. No, I got it. I got it. But it needs to happen. Yeah. Let me tell you, nigga, something.
Starting point is 01:43:13 I would pay top dollar. Yeah? Oh, yeah. I know. I'll get a subscription. I'd give my debit card number, the whole thing, to watch that.
Starting point is 01:43:22 I think we get a lot from that. I think we gain a lot of information. We gain a lot of knowledge on the music business and business in general. Would Dane be able to have that conversation? Absolutely.
Starting point is 01:43:31 Without yelling and screaming? Without yelling and screaming, no, because that's how Dane talks. But see, the thing, when you know Dane, he's not yelling at you.
Starting point is 01:43:40 See that, and that's not fair because that's how I felt about the Leroy interview. Like, if you know Leroy, watching his responses, it wasn't like, yo, I don't know him fuck that nigga it was like i just don't know who he is today no he didn't say today though yeah he didn't when he was trying to act like he didn't know who dame was at all but he he went further into it though
Starting point is 01:43:58 no yeah i get it but i i'm just saying that conversation needs to happen because i feel like there's a lot to take away from that conversation. A lot of people would learn a lot of things from that conversation. Yeah. Oh, that's a great segue. Speaking of taking away things, did we see 50 cent in the strip club?
Starting point is 01:44:12 I saw the headline. I didn't see the actual video. Well, he said the lady, the young lady was, had a little attitude. Rather rude. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:44:21 And I, I too, I too have been in the strip club when you bump into the rather rude stripper. Yeah. Not my thing. Until she has something going on at home. Sorry, sis. That's definitely a service business.
Starting point is 01:44:35 I'd like for you to be somewhat nice. If I'm showering you with thousands upon thousands of dollars, I would at least like a smile. A little bit of customer service would be really, really awesome, queen. Yeah. It's appreciated. There's not too many things worse than the entitled stripper or bartender. Right. Right.
Starting point is 01:44:54 Yeah, that's what I'm saying. I agree. Waitress might be on that same. Yeah. Yeah. I'm going to give a round of applause to 50. Yeah, 50. Because that's a move I'm sure niggas have wanted to do for a long time,
Starting point is 01:45:07 where you throw some money and then she was kind of trash with it. You wanted to take it back. You did. But 50 could get away with that because what is the strip going to say? He's a bum-ass nigga? Yeah. He ain't got, he broke? No, he's not.
Starting point is 01:45:18 He's just not doing it. He's just not fucking with you. He's not broke. Yeah, he's just not fucking with you. Yeah, that's your bad, man. Okay, let's see what else is that nice deep dive on 50 taking his money back uh let's see what else is happening important in the universe all right so let me tell all the barbs out there let me tell all the barbs
Starting point is 01:45:37 out there that i did reach out to try to secure a nikki minj interview before this album dropped. I had questions. Okay. Something tells me she wasn't running to do an interview with you. She said no. Okay. Kind of figured she would, but I'm responsible for the effort. So I made the effort, right? Mm-hmm.
Starting point is 01:46:00 It's only confusing to me for one reason. You ready? Yeah, I'm ready. You ready? Yeah, I'm ready. You ready? I love Nicki. Let me just say that now. Do you love Black Ink? No.
Starting point is 01:46:15 Do you love Black Ink Chicago? I love that black tattoo artists are doing their thing. Did you see... More. I don't have time for your bullshit. Did you see last week's Black Ink Chicago? No. Nicki Minaj you see last week's Black in Chicago? No. Nicki Minaj was on last week's Black in Chicago. Okay.
Starting point is 01:46:32 She was getting a tattoo. How'd it come out? It just said Barbie. It was nice. It was nice. It was a nice tattoo. She was getting a tattoo. It said Barbie and Chun-Li played for 10 minutes.
Starting point is 01:46:42 Nice. Strategic marketing. Okay. What are Black Ink Chicago's ratings? Because I don't watch the show. Well, Nikki tweeted today. No, she Instagrammed. She told us how many viewers.
Starting point is 01:46:58 She Instagrammed today. She didn't tweet the ratings. Oh, my God. No, she didn't. No, she didn't. No, you're lying to me. No, she didn't. No, she did not. Nikki did not tweet ratings. Oh my God. No, she didn't. No, she didn't. No, she didn't. No, she did not.
Starting point is 01:47:06 Nicki did not tweet ratings. I'm going to read to you today's She did not tweet ratings. post from You will stop lying Nicki Minaj. It says
Starting point is 01:47:16 Oh, don't you Oh, shit. She made the cover the black and crew. Look. Oh, shit. Look at the cover of the Black Ink Crew. Look. Oh, shit. Look at the cover. A promo tonight.
Starting point is 01:47:31 No, here's the one where the ratings came back. Oh, here it is. Nicki Minaj boosts Black Ink Crew ratings to record setting high. I'm sure. You ready for the caption? I'm going to read it to you anyway even if you're not ready it's coming you ready
Starting point is 01:47:48 nah I need a little louder than that alright this says a million additional people tuned in highest rating in two years yikes who's calling me from Franklin New Jersey get out of here
Starting point is 01:48:04 oh hey Ryanyan henry tattoo please make the check payable to onika tanya mirage thank you sir mad emojis thanks for tuning in y'all i don't really get a coin for this it just means you're ready for queen on wednesday morning i'll do a special post. Why do we have to ask? I don't want to see that. It's right here. What is more special than that post?
Starting point is 01:48:33 It was posted 23 hours ago. What would be more special than that post? What was it? What was the post? You got it? No. I don't know. Who is advising
Starting point is 01:48:47 this move? Listen. These moves that Nikki is making. I'm trying to figure out if their goal was to... They tried to find a show
Starting point is 01:48:55 that doesn't have the highest ratings to show more ratings? Because if she went on an already highly rated show, I'm really trying to figure out what they were thinking when they were doing this one. You know what? Okay, listen. I'm not mad to figure out what they were thinking when they were doing this one.
Starting point is 01:49:05 You know what? Okay, listen. I'm not mad at her. Yes, you are. No, no, listen. Yes, you are mad. I'm not mad at her going on Black Ink. You are mad at it.
Starting point is 01:49:12 No, no, listen. I'm not mad at it because if Black Ink is black owned and she's giving them that look, I salute that. It's owned by VH1. Now, all of it. But no, no. All of this stuff is owned by Viacom. Yo, black people got to stop making every black thing a good look.
Starting point is 01:49:25 No, no, no. All of it's not a good look. If you're supporting a black business, I'm not mad at that. Oh, you're talking about the business. I'm talking about the show. No, no, no. I'm just talking about because that's the real, they really have a tattoo. They really do tattoos, like the black ink here in Harlem.
Starting point is 01:49:35 Yeah, which are great. Right. So if Jay-Z went and got a tattoo of black ink in Harlem, he's shining that light on them, and now they're fucking booked out with business. I'm not mad at that. I'm just mad at the posts all of that like don't that's what it seems
Starting point is 01:49:50 don't do yeah like come but you know this is the era of posting stats Nikki doesn't have to post stats she posts a lot of stats it's not even really the era of posting stats I agree I agree why is she doing it it is unfortunately it is absolutely no it's Nikki's she's the one that does it. But it's not just her.
Starting point is 01:50:05 Nah, they all do it. It's not just her. Artists? Oh, shit. Everyone does it. Ish is calling me. Holy shit. Everyone does it. Let me answer Ish.
Starting point is 01:50:14 Hello. Yo. Hi, this is Joe Budden from the Joe Budden Podcast. How are you, Joe Budden? This is Antoine. How are you? I bud this is antoine how are you i'm well antoine uh your your street name is ish is that correct what can i do for you sir i was telling maul and rory that friday night i was looking for you to go get into some ratchet fuck fun shit with my friends but you were busy because you purchased a singular
Starting point is 01:50:48 ticket to the Beyonce concert and you went and you were there singing single ladies by yourself we was on your side I don't know what y'all talking about so I was calling you cause Maul couldn't understand
Starting point is 01:51:04 why you were at a Beyonce concert by yourself. So, I was telling Maul that you said... Maul has known me for a pretty long time, and I'm sure that Maul does not believe you in telling him that I was at a Beyonce concert
Starting point is 01:51:20 by myself. Alright, but that's why I wanted to get you on the phone, because were you there, or do you have an alibi? I was at the show with Beyonce and Jay-Z and I was not there by myself. Yo, niggas will throw in the Jay-Z. It's a major factor.
Starting point is 01:51:35 We kept talking about it. Get the fuck out of here. You were not there to see Jay-Z. You danced to Single Ladies. Nigga, don't try it. That's what I did. All right, all right. That's what I did.
Starting point is 01:51:47 All right, now, I'm asking. Did you sit down at every Beyoncé record, or did Deja Vu do it a little bit? Come on. Bruh. I'll get the fuck off. I'm just asking. I just say yes or no, and then I'm done. No, nigga.
Starting point is 01:52:01 I was watching. I'm a Jay-Z fan. I've never been to a Beyonce show in my life. But if I were to go to a Beyonce show, Beyonce has decent music. But did you go with some of your friends that enjoyed Reasonable Down and shit? Or just you? What? Did you go with some other people who enjoy whole music?
Starting point is 01:52:21 Or did you just go with just you? To the show on Friday? Yeah. I went with somebody. Who did you talk to? Yo, bro, what's wrong with you? You all right? I'm asking it.
Starting point is 01:52:38 I don't even know why you called him back. He was a fucking dodo. I don't even know why you called this nigga back, man. Yeah, he called back because he's a friend of mine, and I called. And it might have been something urgent and important, but of course it's not. All right, that's all. A Jay-Z concert.
Starting point is 01:52:55 Jay was performing. That's a part of the show. He went with a... Jay-Z's not a part... Jay-Z's not 50% of the show? He went to a Jay-Z fan... I don't know. I never saw the show.
Starting point is 01:53:06 What would your guest be, you asshole? If it's a Jay-Z and Beyonce concert, do you think Beyonce did 80% of the performance? She did 80% of the performing on their joint album. So, yeah, I would think that. They did one song from the album. So y'all are proving my point. No, he did Man O'Rourke'all are proving my point no all right fine
Starting point is 01:53:27 y'all trying to get me in trouble and with Roc Nation so I just want to ask some questions it's my bad my bad yo can we have you on the podcast soon to talk about real estate and and living in New York Living in New York. And really saying what? And living in New York. Yo, this nigga. Something's wrong with you, bro.
Starting point is 01:53:49 For real. Oh, man. Forget it. Yo, bye, man. Get off my phone. Yo, bye, man. Goodbye, Antoine. Yo. Oh, you lost this one, man.
Starting point is 01:54:00 I want to say Jay was performing. It's like. You think Jay did two songs? No, this is what I think. I think that niggas that's my age, Ish age, your age, we have an affinity for Hov. So we're going to go watch Hov
Starting point is 01:54:14 if Hov is doing 20 minutes in the middle of a three-hour Beyonce set. So I want Ish to admit to going to see the 20-minute Hov set in the midst of the three-hour Beyonce set, even if it's not true. Even if it's not true. Even if it's not true. So you just have to admit to it.
Starting point is 01:54:28 Yeah. Even if it's not true at all. Yes. Yes. All right. Well, you was there for an hour. More shit about concerts, because the group chat informed me
Starting point is 01:54:38 that Music Soulchild's concert didn't go too well. Did you guys see that? Even though y'all are in the group chat? No? Yeah, music sounded like... Like not music. Not a soul. It did not sound like music.
Starting point is 01:54:55 Wait, I got it. I have it here. I can't believe Fab answered the phone. That was crazy. I'd have never answered the phone. I do like the line of... Fab, game, and then ish. I think that was a good balance. Yeah, word. I'd have never answered the phone I do like the line of A bad game And then an ish
Starting point is 01:55:06 I think that was a good balance Yeah it worked Smoking that I don't know what y'all talking about No that's not real He don't have an earpiece in There's no way That's not real
Starting point is 01:55:18 It's real That's music Soul child That's not music Or soul Or child that's music soul child it's not music or soul oh man this is a great song too when it's not a child so when it's done classic correctly maybe the monitors are bad maybe everything was walking out yeah they're leaving would you stay
Starting point is 01:55:43 would you stay after you paid your hard-earned money to hear music crooned that way? I would fight. I would pop on somebody. I'd pay a ticket to see somebody sing and they sound like that. My fucking money back. Let's see Ray J's head.
Starting point is 01:55:58 We ain't talking about Madden with their Kaepernick blunder that they fixed. They did fix it before we killed them. No, we can still kill them. No, we're going to kill them. No, we're going to kill them. Bum-ass response. Yeah, they felt the storm coming. That's why they was like, let's get ahead of this thing.
Starting point is 01:56:11 Kat, do you want to rap? Yeah. They had to fix that quick. They knew what was going to happen. That was the most bum-ass apology. We didn't know if we had clearance. Get the fuck out of here. Oh, yeah?
Starting point is 01:56:24 EA? EA doesn't know that they have clearance for something. They don't have lawyers. Yeah, I know. The fuck out of here. Yeah, I didn't believe it at all. The tell was that last year they had Kaepernick in the game and still blocked him out of the lyrics of the song. Wow.
Starting point is 01:56:38 It's over for you. And I don't know, dude. Keys, they really analyzed the Big Sean lyrics, too. That's what... I can just picture a meeting of just re-listening to a Big Sean record. I don't know if we should put this one in there, guys.
Starting point is 01:56:49 Yeah. I like Sean's response. I don't know how y'all still support the NFL, man. I don't get it. Oh, because of my team drafted Saquon. I don't get it.
Starting point is 01:56:57 What the fuck did you tell my nigga? I don't get it. That NFL shit is bogus. I'm watching Saquon Barkley, buddy. Sorry. You're going to be ruled for Saquon Barkley, buddy. Sorry. You're going to be rude for Saquon to get out of here in two years. Was he disappointed?
Starting point is 01:57:09 Yeah, Giants fans kill me. All New York sports fans kill me with that. Oh, we drafted it two years from now. Yeah, but the kid's just not ready for the big lights. He's not ready. Like, get him out of here. The kid's not ready for the big lights. Throw the season.
Starting point is 01:57:21 Yeah, everybody can't. They love to say everybody can't play in New York. New York's not for everybody. Tank. Yeah, season. Yeah, everybody can't. They love to say everybody can't play in New York. New York's not for everybody. Yeah, like, yo, tank. Draft. Maul, are you still boycotting the NFL even though they're trying to fix the protesting rule? I'm boycotting them until they fix everything. Because they are attempting to fix it.
Starting point is 01:57:38 They haven't fixed anything. Or are they playing both sides? Dak Prescott is a fucking clown. He is a clown. But he's bitter. I think they are trying to just stave off the storm. I don't think they're changing anything. Yeah, they're not fixing that.
Starting point is 01:57:51 Listen, man, the NFL is just... It's to save face for every person that likes the NFL. Yeah. Right. They know that they're losing the fan base. So they can plug, their PR team can plug to whatever people are on this side, where they get their news, and on the other side, and they just feed both stories.
Starting point is 01:58:06 And then everyone's like, well, I guess they try and let's support it. All of that is great, but the rules will change. So we won't have to assume. And the rule change is teams are allowed to stay in the locker room. And if you come out, whatever the fuck the rule changes, but there is a rule change. So I, and let me just say, I'm agreeing with y'all. I think they acknowledge the shit storm, and I think that they are reacting to it.
Starting point is 01:58:29 Finally. Finally. If they make the rule to stay in the locker room, I'm still not supportive. First of all, they're not replying to the shit because that's not what Cap was ever doing to begin with. Right. They changed their own narrative, and the NFL is part of that. They're still sticking on something that had nothing to do with what Colin Kaepernick was doing. So, yes, they're still part of the problem.
Starting point is 01:58:45 Everyone could kneel and they'd be fine with it. That's still not part of what the issue that Kaep was bringing up. So they're still part of the problem. When there's so many easy solutions, I don't understand why they're still undecided about what to do. Why don't you give the players a platform? Why don't you put public service announcements during the games? Why don't you donate some money? There's very simple solutions.
Starting point is 01:59:06 They donated money. Did they? Yeah. They should publicize that a little more. They did. It was a big deal. Yo, this episode came full circle with Joe being industry. Sides with Leo.
Starting point is 01:59:15 Sides with the NFL. I miss woke, I hate Kanye West Joe. What happened to that guy? Like, this is crazy. Hardy, har, har, har. Damn, you should Known it when he The hat Yeah
Starting point is 01:59:26 That's true The hat man Used to be a Yankee fitted Now it's a fedora It used to be I'm too old for fitteds now I'm not wearing fitteds anymore Oh my god

Starting point is 01:59:57 it's blue let me tell you how sick I am I fucking I wore this fedora hat I packed this hat and I packed the scully. Options. You ain't know
Starting point is 02:00:08 what you was ready for. All types of weather. I feel, I'm happy of the fitter back. Y'all niggas been doing a lot of laughing at me today.
Starting point is 02:00:15 No. With you. They all laugh at me every day and I just don't really know. Yeah, every day. What's up with Brittany Renner?
Starting point is 02:00:22 What's up with her? The IG stars are starting to switch sides. Yeah, but this one is intriguing to me. This one I'm invested in. You've seen the girl, what's her name, Nikki, that sings and plays the guitar. On Black Ink? The white chick? Yeah, she released the nudes.
Starting point is 02:00:39 Oh, yeah. I mean, when it comes down. Wait, tell me about that because I was trying to talk about it with Sin, but then I couldn't really talk about it with Sin. Oh, she's Snapchatting? She's Snapchatting the news. You couldn't bring up her shoes with that, right? Look at those shoes. She was barefoot.
Starting point is 02:00:58 No, you know what's funny? I gotta stop trying to be like, I try to be sharing the group chat shit with my girl sometimes and it don't work out. First of all, that's flagrant. That's man code. No, but some of the fun stuff you got to share to make it seem like you're not like your friends. No, because then your girl going to ask, well, why y'all laughing at that?
Starting point is 02:01:16 Why y'all find that funny? Listen, y'all sent that Nikki Heaton shit through, and I started busting laughing. I just panned the phone to her thinking she would start laughing. Hell no. She didn't laugh. Oh, she's a naked woman, nigga. She's got to stop talking to you now. Her brain don't register that we laughing at that.
Starting point is 02:01:31 She's a naked woman. Why girls don't think that we laugh at bitches? They think we just get turned on. No, we're laughing at somebody. Why is Nikki even doing that? Yo, it's the times of time. Now, mind you, Parks did say that she should do that like five years ago. Everyone's been saying that.
Starting point is 02:01:47 The moment I heard a note come out, I said, all right, you should just leak your news. Just show us the boobs. It's okay. Show us the boobs. The boobies. And we're not objectifying. I just didn't think her music was good. I didn't think her music was good.
Starting point is 02:01:59 This is the exact definition of objectifying. This is the epitome of objectifying. But when you say you're not afterwards, it kind of clears it up. It's okay, yeah. It clears it up a little bit. Yeah, but she should have did it like a few years ago. Like now, that wasn't even like. Yeah, because I'm going to keep it real.
Starting point is 02:02:13 It was like I looked at it and then I was kind of like. You never went back to it. You didn't go back to it. I didn't double back to it. You didn't save it for the later on alone time. Definitely not alone time. Yeah, nah, nah, nah. Niggas went right on about their day. Right on. That's Definitely not alone time. Nah, nah, nah. Niggas went right on
Starting point is 02:02:25 about their day. Right on. I'm talking about me. That's got to hurt though. That didn't stop anything. That didn't even give you the fan pic pause. Yeah, it was kind of like,
Starting point is 02:02:35 nah, whatever. Yeah, yeah. Damn, that's fucked up. That's got to be shitty when a chick feel like she sent you to fire nude and you just like say thank you.
Starting point is 02:02:43 Just going about the day. Roy. Thank you. That going about the day. Roy. Thank you. That was wild. I heard him. No. No, you ain't enough of him, bro. But we wasn't supposed to be talking about it.
Starting point is 02:02:55 No, I wanted to get back to Brittany. Did we talk about it last week with her little porn thing that she. No, we did not. That she's not really doing. No, we didn't talk. We got to talk. You don't think they're doing it? No, I never thought. Well, the people that don't know,
Starting point is 02:03:06 Brittany Renner, who's at Instagram, are they fitness chicks now? Just if they wear fitness clothes? Yeah. All right. She wears a lot of dry fit. She wears a lot of dry fit. She does squats in the videos. Maul wears dry fit.
Starting point is 02:03:18 Don't do that. I've never seen him squat in a video, though, thankfully. You will never see that either, by the way. You will never see me squat. You wouldn't squat in a video, though, thankfully. You will never see that either, by the way. You wouldn't squat in a video? No. I don't squat outside of a video in life. I'm pausing myself. I'm just trying to figure out more on Instagram
Starting point is 02:03:33 doing fitness and traffic. Nah, bro. I'm cool. Leg day with more? That'd be the funniest Instagram page. More legs is trash. Look at more legs. Legs ain't trash. Wait, your legs is nice. Yo, hold on. Hold on.
Starting point is 02:03:47 Hold on. See, hold on. Hold on. Hold on. Wait. Don't touch me, nigga. Don't touch me. Don't touch me.
Starting point is 02:03:53 Mo, you are such a loser. Don't touch me. Why do you have nice legs, you bum ass nigga? Don't touch me, though. You fucking bum bitch ass nigga with nice legs. Nigga ain't ran nowhere. Nigga got a definition in his little thigh. Don't touch me though.
Starting point is 02:04:06 Get the fuck out of here. Don't touch me though. Whatever you do, don't touch me. This nigga put cocoa butter on his knees. Hydrated. Why your legs hydrated? Don't touch me. Lathered ass legs.
Starting point is 02:04:16 Like, yo, how much time you spend lathering your legs after shower, my nigga? Whatever, man. This nigga ain't got a bump or a bruise nowhere on his leg. Whatever, man. This bitch is me rubbing his leg. Whatever, dog. Get your laughs leg. Whatever, man. Bitch is me rubbing his leg. Whatever, dog. Get your laughs out.
Starting point is 02:04:28 It's funny. I'm not laughing. Yo, Maul definitely got a few full body massages. Fuck that. Like, yo, now the legs.
Starting point is 02:04:36 Nah, yo, the legs. Maul said lower. Nah, yo, the legs. Nah, yes. Lower. Lower. Lower. Lower. Nah, yo, don't skip the legs. Nah, yes. Lower. Nah, yo.
Starting point is 02:04:47 Don't skip the legs. Whatever, man. You know what I mean? Whatever. Oh, man. Okay, I don't even remember. Slipped into something more comfortable. I don't even remember where we were going.
Starting point is 02:04:56 Brittany Renner. Oh, Brittany Renner. Brittany Renner. Listen, this is especially sad for me to see because, you know, some of us that have been on some of these DSPs, some of these social media sites for like 10 years. Brittany Renner was never on a DSP. Yes, she was. Yes, she was.
Starting point is 02:05:12 I think she got a single. But what I'm saying is some of us, we're approaching 2019 where some of us have been around for like that 9, 10-year gap, right? And it's been the same apartment in every video. I've been looking at that dirty mirror for ten years. I ain't gonna lie. It's a bunch of you fine bitches that only got one little nice corner to take some
Starting point is 02:05:34 pictures. If the cord stops right there. They try to fool you with different flowers. They'll fool me because I scroll 52 weeks. That bitch be in front of the same damn wall. Yeah. Same outlets, same little hallway.
Starting point is 02:05:48 Bitch, move. Right. Take a pic in the park. Like, go outside. Your friend has to have a home. Yeah, god damn it. Go to the hotel. You got to change up to get some ambience something.
Starting point is 02:06:00 Now, Brittany Renner, so nine, 10 years, right? So we've seen The evolution of some people Like some people Have evoluted Yeah I don't even know That's a word
Starting point is 02:06:11 It's not It's not But we've seen Over the years Niggas attempt to evolute Yeah I remember Brittany Renner When she was
Starting point is 02:06:19 Hi Brittany If you're listening She's not listening But yes Yeah but every time We talk about somebody I they get sent the clip. I was going to say, I used to think a lot of people didn't listen to this podcast. They're all listening.
Starting point is 02:06:29 Every last one of them. Somebody that knows them is listening. Someone is sending them the tape. Yeah, they'll send it. Yeah, I used to say we do a million a week, but I think we do a lot more than a million a week. Well, if you add up the impressions and all that shit. I think we're closer to like 1.3, 1.5 a week. But Brittany Minner.
Starting point is 02:06:42 So I remember Brittany when she was dating the boyfriend guy. They both played soccer. They both made really cute soccer vids. Y'all remember that? Y'all remember? Mm-hmm. That's when she had a private account. She wouldn't follow any dudes.
Starting point is 02:06:56 Yeah, everybody wanted Brittany Renner, man. She was awesome. She showed her personality. Then she broke up with the boyfriend, and she was just the fine soccer girl who was just kicking the ball all around in places. Cool. Oh, my God. I haven't seen her do a goalie kick in 10 years. That's what I'm saying.
Starting point is 02:07:13 Then she did the fitness soccer thing. And I was like, okay, that's new. Little Rosa Costa vibes. She's doing the fitness soccer. Then it went to the sexy lingerie fitness model soccer porn girl. Which was fun. Yeah, once you get fit.
Starting point is 02:07:30 She was fit. In the lingerie. Yeah, because you, fit in lingerie, I'm not mad. So now, so now,
Starting point is 02:07:36 Tiana Trump is involved. And workout gear is expensive. It's hard to roll with. Tiana Trump got involved. And now, now Tiana Trump is involved. No, you skipped,
Starting point is 02:07:42 you skipped a big era. Which one? Which one? She started doing skits and acting. She was eating makeup. Yeah. Yeah, she went through a skit acting phase. Where was she trying to take us with that, though? I wasn't.
Starting point is 02:07:57 No, I'm just trying to. Where was she trying to take us? Yeah, where was she? You didn't see her vision? No. You know when Tom Cruise did the Vanilla Sky era and he kind of went left? Maybe that was like her. That was her Vanilla Sky.
Starting point is 02:08:07 That was like her artist. That was her Vanilla Sky. That was her little weird artsy thing. That was her eyes wide shut. Okay, I got you. I think that was her era. We was used to Mission Impossible. And I was like, oh, I don't know where we're going, Tom.
Starting point is 02:08:16 Right. So I think that was that. Okay, got it. And now we're in Scientology. She's doing porn. So she's doing Scientology porn? No, I'm talking about Tom Cruise. We're comparing her to Tom Cruise.
Starting point is 02:08:28 Scientology porn. No, just say yes. She's doing Scientology porn. There's a few of them out there. Okay. It's a new field being created. Okay. I haven't seen the porn, though.
Starting point is 02:08:41 It was a joke. It doesn't matter. I don't think it's coming. I thought they're going to put out some makeup line. They're trying to sell something. They're trying to garner attention for something.
Starting point is 02:08:49 I don't know what it is. I haven't spoken to anybody. I don't care enough about it. I'm just interested and I'm always interested in seeing the evolution or the de-evolution of what it should have
Starting point is 02:09:01 a podcast. I might listen to it. Roy should do that podcast. I would happily do that podcast. No, you and Mo. Do what podcast? Britney listen to it Roy should do that podcast I would happily do that podcast No you and Mo Do what podcast? Britney Renner and Teyana Trump's podcast Fuck let's do it

Did you see Michael Jordan's bum-ass publicist response to Donald Trump and the LeBron James shit? Yeah. Are you done with him, honestly? Mike? Yeah, I'm almost. He's still...
Starting point is 02:09:34 I didn't realize that Mike had so much money invested into the private jail system in America. I didn't realize that LeBron James was the best basketball player of all time. Yeah, me neither, Parks. I'm with you. But here we are. Yeah, I'm with... Sorry, Mark. So I don me neither, Parks. I'm with you. But here we are. Yeah, I'm with, sorry, Maul. Oh, but to be fair. I'm not being fair.
Starting point is 02:09:48 Oh, you're not being fair, okay. You want to talk about Kareem? Trying to make up for the move. Nah, Bill Russell. I'm just, no. I don't want to talk about Mike. Mike has, he's, but he's,
Starting point is 02:09:57 we have to be fair. Mike has donated a lot of money to hospitals and communities and stuff like that. Yeah, Mike ain't for us, man. But, you know.
Starting point is 02:10:04 I know it pain niggas, but... No, no, it does. I mean, we've been talking about this for years. Ain't nigga gonna wear them jeans for that many years. Yeah. He ain't really fuss. Those are the get out jeans.

I used to walk on the bottom. You remember the era when niggas were walking on the bottom of their jeans? What was wrong with us? Niggas was nasty.
Starting point is 02:11:00 Niggas was filthy. Now I see why they didn't want to let us in some of the clubs. Like if a dude walked in, I'm at the door and a dude's stepping on the back of his jeans. Fam, go home, dude.
Starting point is 02:11:11 I don't think this is for you. Go home, fam. Fam, go home. Like, go home. Yeah. I shouldn't have been letting a lot of clubs. Like, I was beefing at the time,

Yeah, just go home. Watch television. I shouldn't have been there, nigga. Without a haircut, trying to have an oversized fit. Go home, nigga. Carpenter jeans.
Starting point is 02:11:26 Just go home. Watch television. What do you put in the loop? This is like the 10th thing on your to-do list. The loop, the loop. Remember the loop? I used to want the loop on all my jeans. No, no, you had to have the loop on the jeans.
Starting point is 02:11:37 Wait, what? If you went to school and you didn't have the loop, they'd be like, yo, what's up with your jeans? Yeah, yeah. No, you're right. Yo, today, right? So now, I thought about this the other day. Now, I'm buying all of these pants that have a stripe going down the the side of the pant but you want

Starting point is 02:12:20 We know. It's a different shirt. I would be ready to shoot some shit up. I think some Pacos. Everything comes back. What happened to all those clothes? I'm not saying the fashion style. I mean, like, literally and physically.
Starting point is 02:12:29 Is that, like, part of global warming? How did they get rid of all that? I don't know, but... That was a lot of fabric. Yeah, because y'all niggas made me get rid of my Maurice Malone jeans before I was ready. Two more years. I had saved up for mine. Maurice Malone
Starting point is 02:12:45 Yeah my mom wasn't just Buying them for me The Mo jeans And then they just Wasn't cool no more Like damn man A lot of shit goes out quick man But you can tell which brand

I was recently looking back at some of my old photos from throughout my whole life. From whatspoppin.net. And I realized. Because that's where they were. I don't like any of the pictures from my whole life.
Starting point is 02:14:43 My whole life. My whole life. They all bad. Yo, I went to every phase of my life, and it was a bad judgment, decision, fashion. I don't like none of them. The Rockets hockey jersey, you like that? Listen, even for you, I'm ready to retire that combo. I feel bad for you now.
Starting point is 02:15:02 Rory, you never touched my knee before, so today, now, don't make today the day that you touch my knee on the Houston, on the Rockets. It was a tap. I was here to support you. Oh, man. Yeah, what are we missing? We're missing Demi Lovato.
Starting point is 02:15:17 Yao Ming was really popular. We're missing Demi Lovato's response to her overdose. What did she say? The same thing white people always say. I'm sorry. I'm going to rehab to fight my exhaustion, and I won't do it again. And I'm taking my recovery series.
Starting point is 02:15:37 In fairness, I think Chris Brown said that, too. She blamed it on exhaustion? She said it. Let me read it for you. Let me read it, because I do have it. That ain't exhaustion, fam. I've been exhausted before. You could definitely be exhausted from doing a lot of heroin. She says, and I quote,
Starting point is 02:15:50 I have always been transparent about my journey with addiction. That's not true. Well, you know what? Hold on because a lot of fans did jump on me just saying like, she's been talking about that. So it could be true. I don't follow Demi Lovato like that. See, no, no, stop.
Starting point is 02:16:04 And that's my problem stop stop because active addiction and i'm not going to preach we too close to the end of this podcast active addiction is active addiction so when you talk about i've been transparent with my journey with addiction that's misleading and it's very different from i was snorting and and doing all types of shit the night before that's not that's not somebody who is trying to recover that's somebody who's doing the shits well that's still your journey of addiction though no yeah sure i'm letting that ride i'm not i'm not doing that i'm not doing that there's people who there's people who's getting high because they want to get high. And there's people who's actually trying to get help with it and stop because it's a real problem.
Starting point is 02:16:49 I'm not taking her words as that. No, I've always been transparent about my journey with addiction. What I've learned is that this illness is not something that disappears or fades with time. See, this is not what I'm going to shut up. It is something I must continue to overcome and have not done yet. I want to thank God for keeping me alive and well. To my fans, I am forever grateful for all of your love and support throughout this past week and beyond. Your positive thoughts and prayers
Starting point is 02:17:13 have helped me navigate through this difficult time. I want to thank my family, my team, and the staff at the Cedars-Sinai who have been at my side the entire time. Cedars-Sinai is the hospital where everybody go when they overdose, right? Yeah. Without them, I wouldn't be here writing this letter to all of you.
Starting point is 02:17:30 I now need time to heal and focus on my sobriety and road to recovery. The love you have all shown me will never be forgotten, and I look forward to the day where I can say I came out on the other side. I will keep fighting with love, Demi. I hope she doesi I hope she does I hope she does as well what other sentiment are you going to get from us we hope you do well
Starting point is 02:17:51 we hope you continue to fight your battle and we hope you stay strong I just don't like that white people are able to just get away with certain lines that black people who have the same problems can't but I won't be that guy right now we killed Lamar Odom, we killed Chris Brown we killed so many niggas we just killed kanye not too many weeks ago when he said he had an opioid problem true only with white people do we do we sit down and say oh my god
Starting point is 02:18:15 the world is fucking stopping but i'm sensitive to anybody with a drug issue so i'm shutting up and demi lovato is in my prayers not Not specifically by name, but... For all the celebrities. In the group of friends. Let me call Demi Lovato, man. Hello, this is Joe Budden from the Joe Budden. That would be funny. I think we've hit everything. I don't think there's anything else that we really, really, really need to care about.
Starting point is 02:18:45 Alex Jones, all his content has been removed from everywhere for being a piece of shit. Round of applause for that. Let's see what else is really, really, really important. Oh, shit! How could I not tell you guys? This is from our group chat, too. You guys informed me that A. Marie has a new project out.
Starting point is 02:19:02 It's got BG on it. I'm tuned in. I think Eve's on it too. How new is this project? It just came out this weekend. It's a new project. Eight tracks. Anne-Marie.
Starting point is 02:19:16 This is Talking To Me, the remixes. That's the project. So they remix? It's the Talking To Me song that y'all have. How many times did they remix it?
Starting point is 02:19:28 Eight. No way. No way. Get the fuck out of here. More. They covered a lot of demographics, so they have a bunch of
Starting point is 02:19:35 I was just waiting for you to answer. Check this out. I'm not listening to eight remixes. Nah, nah. The first remix is with Foxy Brown,
Starting point is 02:19:42 the Trackmasters remix. The second one is with Foxy Brown, the Trackmasters remix. The second one is with Foxy Brown. That's the trackmasters remix. Oh, this is bad. Then it's the Talking to Me featuring Jack Frost remix. Then it's the Talking to Me. What? I like Jack Frost.
Starting point is 02:20:00 Yeah, come on. You know we had to get a remix from Jack. After you get Foxy, naturally, you next person you go to is Jack Frost. Then they blessed us. Then they blessed us. They didn't bless me. They didn't bless you, maybe. No, they blessed us, nigga.
Starting point is 02:20:15 Then they blessed us with the Talking to Me Trackmasters Instrumental. That was track four. Well, yeah. I mean, sometimes you just need the beat. Track five, they gave us the Trackmasters remix instrumental. Yeah. Yeah. So you can rap on it.
Starting point is 02:20:30 You got to have both. Well, track six is when things really heated up, and they gave us the Talking to Me, Mark Ronson, Sunshine remix. Yeah. Yeah. What's the issue? Mark Ronson bringing the sunshine. Things really heated up.
Starting point is 02:20:44 Sunshine. OK. Yeah, no, we got it. Then they gave us the Talking to Me, Mark Ronson, Sunshine Remix Instrumental. That was track seven. Naturally. They closed it out. They closed it out with a bang here. Talking to Me featuring Foxy Brown, Trackmasters, Remix, Acapella.
Starting point is 02:21:00 Nice. I'm going to remix that. If you want to blend at the party, and you want to use the Foxy and Mark Ronson. And this was released on July 20th, 2018. This is a product of Columbia Records, a division of Sony Music Entertainment. What is that? It's a Maxi single.
Starting point is 02:21:16 It's a Talking To Me album. It's a Maxi single. The album. Talking To Me, the album. The album. Talking To Me, the remix album. How many times were they talking to Amarito? Eight every song he's talking to me the remix album how many times were they talking
Starting point is 02:21:26 to A. Marie though eight that's a man talking how many times they were talking to her eight times alright cool which is funny
Starting point is 02:21:33 cause I ain't heard nobody say a word to her ass in about a decade that's what I'm saying who would've been talking to A. Marie track masters
Starting point is 02:21:40 and Mark Ronson Jack Frost and Jack Frost oh man poor Jack Frost B And Jack Frost. Oh, man. Poor Jack Frost. BG. All right. Now, I can't believe that we did this whole podcast and did not talk about Ella Mai's single.
Starting point is 02:21:53 That's fucked up. Yep. You know what? I'm playing this with my sleeper. I'm playing this with my sleeper. I'll do that. Because I didn't think it was a sleeper. I thought it was hidden.
Starting point is 02:22:02 I never know that you're talking about her because you say it as three letters. Yeah, I keep thinking it's the white guys that wear the sunglasses. Yes, that's what I keep thinking too. I definitely go just to my LMAO's new single. LMAO. Maybe it's different for white people. How do you pronounce E-L-L-A? It's LMAO.
Starting point is 02:22:23 LMAO, but you're saying it like L-M-A. L-M-A is M-A-I. You do It's L-M-A. L-M-A, but you're saying it like L-M-A. And then May is M-A-I. You do say it L-M-A. But you say it like you're pausing between each letter. You know how when people say the ABCs, they be like L-M-N-O-P. You say L-M-N-O like that's one letter, like an alphabet.
Starting point is 02:22:38 You don't say L-M-N-O. You don't say it like that. I don't trust anybody that says it like that. You just said L-M-N-O-P.'t say it like that. I don't trust anybody that says it like that. You just said it like that. L-M-N-O-P. That's how you said her name, though. No, I say L-M-N-O-P, Ella May. I'm confused now.
Starting point is 02:22:53 Are we talking about the same artist? Because I'm still not on board. Whose song are you going to play today? Because now I need to hear it. Let's just get to the sleep. I need to hear it now. Yeah, but I didn't know that I was trying to play that song. I was trying to play the As I Yeah, I need to hear it now. Yeah, but I didn't know that I was trying to play that song. I was trying to play
Starting point is 02:23:05 the As I Am Her song, but I didn't think you would shit on the Her project. I didn't shit. I just didn't know. I was disappointed. I don't know if that's
Starting point is 02:23:12 a sleeper either. Way too high expectations. Wow, Her is no longer a sleeper? Nah. Everyone's awake. Yeah. You guys familiar
Starting point is 02:23:19 with Diana Gordon? She put out a pretty good little EP. You'd probably like it. Well, I'm not familiar, but I would like to hear what type of music it is. It's on Ar it. Well, I'm not familiar, but I would like to hear it. What type of music is it? It's all R&B.
Starting point is 02:23:27 Oh, I'm definitely going to listen to it. There's a lot of good music out. Yeah, a lot. Yeah, a lot. There was a lot to keep up with. All right, so I guess I will just play. Do we have anything else before we get to sleepers? Because we've been rocking for a while.
Starting point is 02:23:38 Which is funny, because I thought our energy was really down at the start, and here we are approaching three hours. Yeah, that's how it happens. Damn, we ain't even get to the new Tiger freestyle. We can't skip over that. That's true. I thought he was killing a little bit. It's alright. He had some balls on there. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:23:56 And I think his two records are alright. Tiger keeps a record though. We can laugh and make jokes all we want, but he keeps a single. I never get the full project. No, no, no. No, no, no. He does, but we're still going to laugh at his jokes.
Starting point is 02:24:08 Well, you know why he did that freestyle. Because his new girls. He does what he does, but way more wavy. So he got to get back on his shit. Got the same hairstyle as Travis now. All right. I won't play the tiger freestyle. I won't play it. Freestyle I won't play it
Starting point is 02:24:26 since we all like it you want to laugh at it? yeah yeah yeah we all like it I got some bars oh well in that case I'm not going to play it what I will say
Starting point is 02:24:34 I'll end with some news before we get to the sleepers whatever that nail salon in Brooklyn boy that footage hurt my heart to watch really hurt my heart to see for those of you unaware
Starting point is 02:24:43 there was a black family i want to say a grandmother and a granddaughter or a daughter i don't fucking know but they were in brooklyn trying to get their nails and their eyebrows and their feet done they paid for the nails paid for the feet didn't really like the way their eyebrows came out so they told the late that the ladies in the establishment they weren't going to pay for the eyebrows those uh i don't know what they were chinese asian or what but whoever they whatever they were they started beating up the grandmother and and the black family with brooms and sticks and shit over five dollars over five over five dollars so now they're they're petitioning to get that that business out of out of Brooklyn or wherever they were.
Starting point is 02:25:25 It's been closed down ever since. They're rioting in front of there. They will not let that particular company make a dime in that neighborhood. Now, I agree. Yeah. I agree. And was it a new business as well? Well, a somewhat new business?
Starting point is 02:25:41 It didn't look new. It didn't look new it didn't look new but uh yeah you can't treat you can't treat people that way in the neighborhood and expect to make money especially our grandmothers no no no no no so uh yeah i don't know people need to really practice better decision making like how did they think that would play out right when when things are being recorded let me tell you something something. I see somebody hitting my grandparent with a broom or something. She's going to get ugly. They better never visit that place again. Ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever come around here no more.
Starting point is 02:26:14 And I was thinking about this because women have it hard. Men don't have it hard. Women have it hard. The story last week I meant to talk about The dating The dating app Serial killer guy Yeah I just wanna I just wanna tell women
Starting point is 02:26:29 To be careful That's all That was sad Sam went to college With the last victim actually Oh wow Yeah Yeah ladies
Starting point is 02:26:37 Ladies I know we joke around a lot About do's and don'ts On a first date And when you should go To somebody's house And 200 You know we joke around a lot, but
Starting point is 02:26:45 please, please, please be careful in your courtship. Stranger danger is still a real thing. I can't stress that. Now it's a real thing for adults. It's not just the kids. It's always been a real thing, but this era of Ubers and Tinders and DMs and all that
Starting point is 02:27:02 shit, be careful. Yeah, 100%. All right, I somehow think that was everything I wanted to cover. Music, Hall of Fame. All right, congrats to T.O. Let me do that, too. Congrats, T.O. That was dope.
Starting point is 02:27:17 That was dope. Even him doing that at his college. The Randy Moss time was the dopest part of the Hall of Fame shit. I really loved the Randy Moss time, too. T.O. not showing up was the dopest part of the Hall of Fame shit. I really loved the Randy Moss tie, too. T.O. not showing up was the dopest part. Well, they're saying that. I love both. That conversation led to them maybe making it mandatory to show up if you want to get in the Hall of Fame.
Starting point is 02:27:35 Yeah, they're going to want to see you. Yeah, I read that. And it's trash. It's bullshit. They're going to always try to make it so much. Go to some shit where I got to talk to a bunch of people that had nothing to do with my career, didn't help my career. It's crazy, man. I'm not going to shake your hand because you want to be there.
Starting point is 02:27:50 Get your ass out there because I said so. Yeah, but they are talking about changing the rule. Of course they are. Of course they are. Shit, they didn't want to let him in for a couple years, right? Yeah. It took him longer than he should have. He wasn't a first ballot.
Starting point is 02:28:03 He should have been a first ballot. Absolutely should have been a first ballot. Absolutely should have been a first ballot. That guy was... Did you guys see Ray Lewis' face when they were talking about all the murders
