Starting point is 00:14:38 Oh, man. I feel like you were one of the late bloomers that never got any bitches, so you're overcompensating now by keep telling us that you're old. That's why she so you're overcompensating now by keep telling us that you're old. That's why she thought you was overcompensating by telling your age? I never even heard that one. Like, the old
Starting point is 00:14:51 overcompensation? Yeah, I don't know if that's... And I do understand that I tell people my age a lot, but it's not because I'm insecure about being old. It's because young people are stupid. How does that relate to finally getting bitches? That's what I'm saying.
Starting point is 00:15:07 I don't... What? Like being old don't help you get... I don't know. Listen, I don't know. Well, I mean... I don't know. When you're sending money to everyone on the app, it could help.
Starting point is 00:15:16 Hey! You're fucking the whole chat house. Yeah. Hey! I have a theory that Maul spends half of his money on women and we never know. I might be there with you. I do think that.
Starting point is 00:15:29 Honestly, everything he wears. Hey, Alex. Everything he wears. Listen, I think, you know how like, Alex,
Starting point is 00:15:37 that comment made you throw your hands in the air? Are we at a concert? Because Alex was laughing. Don't expose your fucking armpits to me ever again. Now, what happened with Rory? You know how the super homophobic dude, you're like, he's probably gay because he's doing
Starting point is 00:15:50 too much right now about hating the gays. That's how I feel like Maul is when he bashes us for spending money on women. I think he does it more than we do. I laugh at y'all. I don't bash y'all. It's the psychology behind it. I just laugh at y'all. I don't bash anybody.
Starting point is 00:16:01 I just laugh. That's all. Maul. Laughing can be bashing. All of your clothes are sent to you from the designers themselves. Some, not all. House paid for already. Sneakers paid for already.
Starting point is 00:16:12 You're not paying to walk nowhere. Cars paid for already. You eat off your rep. You face your ID. Right. What are you spending on? Saving. Saving them?
Starting point is 00:16:28 No, saving money. That was a good joke. That was a good twist. I tried it. I tried it. I tried it. All right, so mall is good. Parks, what's up?
Starting point is 00:16:34 You been to Buffalo? Nah. What's been happening? You been mixing albums? I've been chilling. Yeah, I've been mixing albums. Okay, mixing albums. I'll take it.

Now there's a I used to just have to do it afterwards. Come on. Now there's a- Parks is a Democrat. He recycles. Now there's a letter attached to the garbage bag that he needs.

Starting point is 00:17:15 That's a good garbage can right there, yeah. I mean, first he got the microwave and next was the trash can. And never looked back. I've never used the microwave. Look, I trick on my guy friends. I trick on my guy friends. You need a microwave? I got you get the microwave. And never looked back. I've never used the microwave. Look, I trick on my guy friends. I trick on my guy friends. I got you on the microwave. By the way, the air fryer is-
Starting point is 00:17:30 Big stepper. That's the wolf? That's one of the greatest inventions in the last 50 years. I'm a little paranoid with the air fryer. That's one of the greatest inventions. It's too good. In 10 years, it's going to come out that it puts cancer in our food. There's no way a cook shit that good that quick.
Starting point is 00:17:43 Yeah, that shit is crazy. Yeah? It's crazy. I've been on the fence about the air fryer for some time. It's perfect for reheating food. There's no way a cook shit that good that quick. Yeah, that shit is crazy. It's crazy. I've been on the fence about the air fryer for some time. It's perfect for reheating food. No, reheating my ass.
Starting point is 00:17:50 Is it good for frying food? Yes, just frying food. Everything. Because frying food is a lot of work. It's messy. Listen to me. Everything.
Starting point is 00:17:57 I throw vegetables in that shit. It's crazy. I watched my mom make me a frozen steak in nine minutes. And it came out like loose, I'm sure.
Starting point is 00:18:05 That's definitely got cancer in it. Delicious. Ruth Chris who? No doubt. I thought my mom was Ruth Chris. Oh, shit. That shit's so good, I started making dinner dates with my mom. Yo, my, Thursday night, you think you can throw something in there?
Starting point is 00:18:19 I was thinking about copping another one so I could do the dual cooking at the same time. Okay, now you're using your brain. But I think it's got to be radiation. It's like when the cell phones at the same time. Okay, now you're using your brain. But I think it's got to be radiation. It's like when the cell phones came out and everyone's like, oh shit. I don't think so though.
Starting point is 00:18:29 Is this nigga engaged or not? I think he's engaged. Why is he cooking for himself? You can't cook when you're engaged? Look, see, when you leave you on the island by myself, I'm just joking. No, I'm not trying to leave you on the island.
Starting point is 00:18:37 I'm just trying to learn. I'm just trying to get us to alley you. Crack on, Rory. Yes, you can cook when you're engaged. I'm going. What'd you say, Rory? No, I just think that's a little misogynistic
Starting point is 00:18:44 that you still hold on to those old traditional values that were instilled in us. Nah, Rory when you're engaged. I'm going. What'd you say, Merle? No, I just think that's a little misogynistic that you still hold on to those old traditional values that were instilled in us. Nah, Rory's got a point. Rory being a crib cooking naked as hell, mad pink. Sam yelling at him from the couch. Where's my steak? These floors are filthy, Rory. Not Sam screaming racial slurs to the kitchen.
Starting point is 00:19:07 She makes me cook naked. It's very degrading. You fucking hick. Where's my... Mark that. Hick will never not be funny. Hick is funny. Hilarious.
Starting point is 00:19:19 Hick is funny, but I don't know what group that applies to. It's like white trash, country, poor white people. Yeah. Got it. Got it, got it, got it, got it. But Cracker's hilarious, too. It is.
Starting point is 00:19:29 Honky. Honky might be number one. It's up there. Bring that back. We're blurring all of these out. Oh, you're a pussy. We can say it. We're white.
Starting point is 00:19:39 Yeah, exactly. We're Pecklewoods. I say Honky just because I get right into Honky Tonk Man right after that. That's what you're going right into? Yeah. Yeah, get me. Fuck you. That was yourckinwoods. I say honky just because I get right into Honky Tonk Man right after that. That's what you're going right into? Yeah. Yeah. Fuck you. Starting point is 00:19:49 You look like you like the Honky Tonk Man. Joe looked like he got crazy when Honky Tonk came out. He's like, yo, my God. He's going to win. Yo, why did I always fall for the wrestlers with the stupid gimmicks? Honky Tonk Man. Honky Tonk Man. Papa Shango really drove it up for me.
Starting point is 00:20:07 He was terrible. He was disgusting. Papa Shango was terrible. I was like, oh, he made it to the top rope. Papa Shango was nasty. He can climb the cage. They shoved seven Undertakers in our face. Every one of them.
Starting point is 00:20:22 Three Ultimate Warriors. No, I don't believe that. I think it was only one Ultimate Warrior. It was two. Every one of us. Three ultimate warriors. No, I don't believe that. I think it was only one ultimate warrior. It was two. It was definitely two. Was it? It was definitely

Starting point is 00:21:32 Riveting take. Jim Carrey, like I said, I didn't know he was on there. So him coming out of his body was surprising to me. He did it. That's Jim Carrey. How deep is he going to go? I never thought. Pause.
Starting point is 00:21:41 I never thought that. That's a fair pause. I never thought Saturday Night Live was that funny to me honestly it's always been a little hit and miss yeah like they have certain skits that's like okay but yeah I mean overall I'm kind of cool saying the Sean Connery skit was epic the uh Jeopardy skit yeah yeah there's been a couple epic skits but yeah some skits that's like overall it's like yeah yeah they reached out for us to host in February. Okay, well, let's host. Look. We'll come up with some fire skits. I actually think we would. Trying to dance for the colonizers.
Starting point is 00:22:11 No, not that. There's never a big fan. I agree. I'm more of an in-living color fan. Absolutely. I love their new episodes. Are you rolling with the ops? Even when I had beef with Marlon, you was an in-living color guy?
Starting point is 00:22:23 No, that wasn't beef. All right, cool. And it's not. Are you rolling with the ops? Even when I had beef with Marlon, you was an in-living color guy? No, that wasn't beef. All right, cool. And it's not. What's up, Marlon? Well, yeah, I enjoyed some of these sketches. I thought the Uncle Ben one was very funny. That was funny. Aunt Jemima, Uncle Ben went into HR to get fired
Starting point is 00:22:38 through the cancel shit of what happened to them, and then Dave being the Allstate guy with a fake voice. That was pretty funny. Yeah, I thought it was good. They all broke character and started dying laughing. That made it funnier to me. Yeah. So, no, I enjoyed this.
Starting point is 00:22:53 Chappelle is always good for these type of times to give some different perspective and observation. This is when comedians are important. Yeah. This type of shit. That differs between the real comedians and just people that tell jokes. Like, Dave has a different type of intellect that you need in these types of times, which is why I hate when they try to cancel comedians,
Starting point is 00:23:16 because they're some of the most important people ever when it comes to serious shit, ironically. I agree. So it was good to have Dave. Dave hosts this one. Dave is the post-election host now. Yeah. That's a gig now, ironically. I agree. So it was good to have Dave. Dave hosts this one. Dave is the post-election host now. Yeah. I think that's your gig now, buddy. I was a little upset
Starting point is 00:23:29 they went from Tribe to Foo Fighters. And I fuck with Foo Fighters. Is he? He did the Trump one and he did this one. So two in a row. After Trump was elected,
Starting point is 00:23:37 it was him and Tribe and then this was him and Foo Fighters. Yeah, Foo Fighters were playing new slaps. I don't want to hear the new slaps, man. Nah, nah. Give me the old ones.
Starting point is 00:23:43 You don't want to hear the new fool? Nah, I don't need the new fool. I only fuck with the new fool. Give I don't want to hear the new slaps, man. Nah, nah, give me the old slaps. You don't want to hear the new foo? Nah, I don't need the new foo. I only fuck with the new foo. Give me the old foo. Give me the old foo, yeah. Old foo. But what did you think of the monologue itself? I thought it was important that he started out as serious as he did.
Starting point is 00:23:58 Again, that's what I think Dave and the more intellectual comedians are so good at. Where is our comedy analyst well i mean i love stand-up comedy you and i both are stand-up comedy junkies um but yeah how we started it didn't even feel like you were watching saturday night live or a tv program at all on nbc like you were sitting there really listening to him and then when he made the joke about his uh great grandfather being a slave and you know learning how to read and then when he made the joke about his uh great grandfather being a slave and you know learning how to read and all that it really brought you in and then it was fucking a hilarious punch line when he said his uh chapelle show was streaming on netflix now and he said his
Starting point is 00:24:36 great grandfather's probably looking down like oh you've been sold sold and bought more than i have because he's not making any money off this shit like Dave can get you to just be quiet and listen and forget you're watching a comedian until the punchline hits. Yeah. The dope shit about Dave's career to me is that he was, in a lot of my favorite comedy movies, he was never really the main character. And to now see him as arguably top five stand-up comedians ever. Top three.
Starting point is 00:25:06 However you want to you know like like name it it's it's just like interesting because you go back and look at some of your favorite movies from the early 2000s he was in them but he wasn't in them yeah like he had a short role you know i mean it was always like martin or huh it was always a good role like yeah like his characters were always funny yeah like but it wasn't like he killed but it was right but it was a small role and then it was like when we got half baked that was like the the one the culture for the culture but it's just interesting to see where his career is at in comparison to a lot of the other comedians who he played behind in a lot of movies you know i mean like he's like the guy now and a lot of them are like where are they right you know i mean but he did a great job though i fuck with day i mean i Like he's like the guy now. And a lot of them are like, where are they? Right. You know what I mean? But he did a great job.
Starting point is 00:25:46 I fuck with Dave. I mean, I guess that's kind of even more why I respect Chappelle so much. Cause we watched him do all those little roles and do standups and like really worked through his career before he got Chappelle show. And even Chappelle show wasn't expected to pop the way it did. And when he finally got to the peak of his career at that time, he was like, no, I'm cool.
Starting point is 00:26:08 Right. Yeah. This isn't worth it. And it's just funny looking at it. I know I've been working for 30 years to get here. Right. But no, this is not right for me. And like a lot of old Chappelle shit, if you look at it now,
Starting point is 00:26:17 like a lot of that shit is what's going on right now. Yeah. Like the whole stimulus check shit when he bought the baby. Mm-hmm. And was like on the corner. He's like, is this your kid? He's like, no, I just bought it. Like, that's what dudes are doing now
Starting point is 00:26:27 with their stimulus bonds. Dumb shit. You don't even like need. Truck full of new parts. Yeah. Dave, watching Dave, every time he comes out,
Starting point is 00:26:38 the first thing I look for is that cigarette. And every time I find it, I'm like man it's just so important as a creative no matter how genius you are because Dave is one of the greatest to have a signature
Starting point is 00:26:52 and this is a recent thing I think I first saw him do this during that Radio City run that he did he's been doing the cigarette on stage forever and ever I never saw it on the Chappelle show. Not a Chappelle show, but on stand-ups,
Starting point is 00:27:07 absolutely, every time. Yeah, for sure. He used to get cigarettes from the crowd and shit. It's been his thing for a while. Did you watch
Starting point is 00:27:14 the Mark Twain award show thing that they ended up putting on? Yeah, I did. And he brings that up in his acceptance speech. He says,
Starting point is 00:27:22 America, look at me smoking indoors. This is called leverage. Well, that's what I was about to say to parts cigarettes and 30 rock doing it on your way up and doing it at 30 rock yeah it's a little different yeah it's very different than a comedy club so i appreciate that uh the mcqueens with the suit I appreciated it the way. That's his thing now. I appreciate when our geniuses bring hip hop with them. The McQueen's ain't hip hop though. And then he got to talking. I'm just talking about sneakers with the suit.
Starting point is 00:27:53 Oh yeah. Sneakers with the suit. I like that. Fashion. And then he got to talking. And I was really excited when I heard this was coming on because, oh shit, we got one of our black kings or our greats doing what they do in front of the white people.
Starting point is 00:28:08 And I already know where they're going to take it when that happens. And then when he started out saying I'm a little bit nervous, and I've never heard him say that, I said, oh, man, he got some shit to get off. And then he got to going, and I tweeted this. I said, boy, does Dave have Dave have like the exact right amount of Paul Mooney in him yeah like I've been to the Paul Mooney show
Starting point is 00:28:29 where even I got a little uncomfortable for white people like cause he just be going crazy crazy but Mooney's a little he's extreme his approach is very direct very overt he gets right to it I respect the legacy His approach is very direct, very overt.
Starting point is 00:28:46 He gets right to it. I respect the legacy of Paul Mooney, but I never really thought he was that funny. No, he's pretty funny. But I respect his, you know, he's... Oh, you have to. He's one of the guys that the legends respect. Written for prior. Yeah. So I respect his work.
Starting point is 00:28:58 Mooney is definitely missed, but if you catch the good, good Mooney, he's tough to compete. He's hilarious. Yeah, I'm sure. But you never know because that's really who he is. I had heard or watched some interview where he had all these people. He packed out a fucking big-ass comedy club, and he got on stage and just read the newspaper for an hour. See, that's funny to me. It's terrible stand-up.
Starting point is 00:29:21 I get it, but that's funny to me, man. I don't know. And I've gone to see Paul Mooney at least three to four different times at Caroline's and to my surprise
Starting point is 00:29:30 every time there's a bunch of white people in there sure yeah but why why do y'all want to go see that
Starting point is 00:29:35 some of us agree with some of the shit that he says I get that but I'm talking about the people that come sit down they hear what he's saying
Starting point is 00:29:42 they get angry they get up they walk out and now they become the center of the show because if you walk out that's the oh my god we down, they hear what he's saying, they get angry, they get up, they walk out, and now they become the center of the show. Because if you walk out, that's the, oh my God,
Starting point is 00:29:48 we're going to hear about you for the next 40 minutes now. You came with me to Paul Mooney, right? Yeah. I feel like that's Dave just does it right, man. The Paul Mooney white thing
Starting point is 00:29:58 is I think the same part of the white brain that loves The Wire and loves hip hophop that's violent. They want to be on the tour and look out the window at all the shit that they're not from or a part of.
Starting point is 00:30:14 That's part of our white brain that just likes that shit. I think that's the Mooney appeal with white people. You go to a real hip-hop black conscious show, half the crowd is white or more than half. I knew this was important to Dave when he appeared sober. And then I didn't know which Dave I liked better. Sober Dave or tipsy looking, mushroom looking Dave
Starting point is 00:30:37 when he was doing the stand up. Mushroom Dave might be hard to beat. I like Dave that comes out sober and smokes his electronic weed pen nonstop for an hour. So by the end of the show, he's fucked up. Boy, was that a thing for six months. I know some people are still on it. My dad loves that shit.
Starting point is 00:30:56 Still uses it. It's great for indoor events, but we don't have those anymore. Well. Yeah, I enjoyed this, man. As far as Saturday Night Live it was a little but I was real happy to see Dave
Starting point is 00:31:09 now I want to give them give them some bail this year I've enjoyed this season and I haven't enjoyed SNL in over a decade I feel like yeah Burr and Chappelle
Starting point is 00:31:18 is two the Burr sketches were hilarious the the Issa episode was great too I didn't see all Issa's Issa episode was great, too. I didn't see all Issa's. Issa's stuff was good.
Starting point is 00:31:27 Yeah, I think this season they've been trying to adapt to the now as far as the sketches go. Like, let's not make these so Upper West Side Jewish funny. Like, I think we need to tap into a bigger audience and not focus on the type of humor that only a specific group in Manhattan likes. Yeah. Like, we have to expand here and do some funnier shit. Related to Dave Chappelle, because I don't want to spend too much time on this, but Tribe Called Quest is related to Dave Chappelle for me.
Starting point is 00:31:57 Absolutely. So let's do a little bit of versus talk. I thought that was an interesting conversation that went by about OutKast versus a tribe called Quest. Yeah. And let me not fail to mention that TI versus Jeezy is next Thursday. Not this Thursday, but next Thursday. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:32:12 I'm excited about that. But tribe versus OutKast, they're going to find— This is not official, right? No, no, no. Not at all. Not at all. I don't think it'll happen. We are speculating right now.
Starting point is 00:32:23 I don't think it'll happen. Really? speculating right now. I don't think it'll happen. Really? I think that I think Q-Tip is one of those guys that just he's difficult to work with.
Starting point is 00:32:30 Andre too. I don't want to say difficult to work with. Q-Tip and Andre is a nice battle of the hip hop divas. Not divas disrespectfully of course. Of course.
Starting point is 00:32:38 But y'all know what I'm saying. Yeah and Andre is not doing this. Yeah you see my rider. I think the last time Andre sat down in front of a camera for an hour. When's the last time Andre sat down in front of a camera for an hour? When's the last time he sat down with Big Boy? I'm not trying to be funny. I'm just saying.
Starting point is 00:32:52 He did the Rick Rubin thing that was in front of a camera less than a year ago. Yeah, less than a year ago. I don't know about professionally, but I follow Big Boy on Instagram. They hang out with their kids all the time. Oh, awesome. Yeah, it's not like They're not speaking personally. Yeah but new conversations have to be had
Starting point is 00:33:07 when we're talking about business meetups. Sure absolutely. Like I'll come and link with you the kids we family at the end of the day. Yeah. But when you start talking
Starting point is 00:33:14 about using my likeness for something. It's still business obviously but it's a slightly different thing. Oh no I just meant period. I'm not talking about with them. I don't know enough about what's going on with them
Starting point is 00:33:23 but I would love to see it. I think they'll run into Q-Tip saying, is Andre with it? And Andre saying, is Q-Tip with it? Andre's not saying that. I think they'll just do the back and forth. Well, all right, if Q-Tip does it, I'll do it. Andre's definitely not saying that.
Starting point is 00:33:36 All right, well, give me how y'all think it plays out. Let's guess a little bit. If it happens? Yeah, if it happens. That's a good battle, man. Outkast will win this. To 20, yeah. And that pains me to say. But yeah, I think Outkast wins this. It's a good battle, man. Outkast will win this. To 20, yeah. And that pains me to say.
Starting point is 00:33:47 But yeah, I think Outkast wins this. That's a slugfest. Hell yeah. That's a slugfest. The only reason why Outkast I would give the advantage is because they have more newer records. Yeah. And I think... And they have more records that I think more people like.
Starting point is 00:34:02 They have more commercial records, too. More commercial records, too, yeah. Bigger, bigger records. But like hits. For real. Like have more commercial records too. More commercial records too, yeah. Bigger, bigger records. But like hits. For real. Like top ten, number ones. Damn, Atlanta wins again.
Starting point is 00:34:11 Again. We can't catch up. Atlanta wins again. Q-Tip's got like cult, and cult classic isn't even fair because they sold
Starting point is 00:34:18 a lot of fucking records too. Hell yeah. But he's got a lot of records too. Yo, Midnight Marauders I think was one of the first cassettes I purchased. Yeah. He's got a lot of records too. Like... Yo, Midnight Marauders, I think was one of the first cassettes I purchased. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:34:27 He's got solo records. I was about to say, is Q-Tip allowed to play what he produced and solo records in a tribe versus outcast battle? I don't think so. All right, that's different.
Starting point is 00:34:35 Yeah. That changes things. That makes it a little different. If you add Q-Tip production in there and even his solo joints. Yeah. Like Vibrant Thing will go crazy in a battle.
Starting point is 00:34:44 What about the something Ghost... Well, he executive produced The Infamous. Yeah, the whole joints. Yeah. Like Vibrant Thing will go crazy in a bit. What about the something Ghost, well, the executive produced the Infamous. Yeah, the whole album. Yeah, like I know Havoc and P did a lot of the production, but he was definitely using, the drums from that album are the same as the drums from Beats, Rhymes, and Life.
Starting point is 00:34:58 You can hear that those are Tips drums. So can he play them? I say yes. And the Infamous is like the same drum pattern all the time. I mean, if I did the drums, I'm playing that shit. Fuck it, you can play off Illmatic. If I did a hi-hat on the Infamous, it's getting played. Yeah, facts.
Starting point is 00:35:16 Sorry. Yo, you all hear that? That's coming in right now. If I did the stove at the beginning of Shook Ones, that was my stove. I'm playing it. Yo, you can't even keep the pace without the... Yeah, enjoy Hey Ya. I'm going to play Survival of Shook Ones. That was my stove. I'm playing. Yo, you can't even keep the pace without the... Yeah, enjoy Hey Ya. I'm going to play Survival of the Fittest.
Starting point is 00:35:29 All right, fine. Outcast wins, fine. I think this is one of those that is a great idea, but I just think it's too much. I'm waiting to see what they have planned with that Jodeci pick that they posted and tried to allude something to. Jodeci versus...
Starting point is 00:35:43 They never said anything else. They never said anything else. They never said anything else. It would have to be Boyz II Men or New Edition. Anybody else, I don't see it. But why you even... Some groups you can't even play. Don't tease with Jodeci. You can't just tease with a group like that.
Starting point is 00:35:57 I don't see it. Well, I think Swizz did this publicly to try to help push, to just have the fans shame them as much. Season two, we here. Yeah, as powerful and as annoying as the internet can be, these are good moments where as fans we can try to shame our
Starting point is 00:36:13 artists into doing something for us. Please, Q-Tip. I think for a lot of these artists like Andre 3000, I think this kind of just feels like it almost comes across as too braggadocious, I think. kind of Just feels like It almost comes across As too braggadocious I think
Starting point is 00:36:27 Just sitting there Playing your records It's like I think it's weird For some artists Like I'm not going to Just sit here and play Some of my best records
Starting point is 00:36:33 For Yeah I'm sure You know what I mean I think a lot of fans I mean a lot of artists Feel like that's just A little too It's like man
Starting point is 00:36:39 I don't want to do that I'm not sure that Big Boi Would have a problem with it No some artists don't But I think somebody Like Andre 3000 does Because he's such a Private Low key person I don't want to do that i'm not sure that big boy would have a problem with it no some artists don't but i think somebody like andre 3000 does because it's such a private low-key person i don't think he wants to be like the center of attention on but that's the beauty of outcasts and we've had this conversation i think before about groups and i've had the conversation with pharaoh talking
Starting point is 00:36:58 about organized confusion like when you have the guy that's big boy you can be andre and be eccentric off the key you don't have to do the braggadocious shit guy that's big boy, you can be Andre and be eccentric. You don't have to do the braggadocious shit. If that's not what you want to do, let big boy do that. That's the beauty of the group. Just be there. Hang out. Dance a little bit.
Starting point is 00:37:12 You know, whatever the fuck you want to do. I think he'd rather be playing a flute in his jumper. Bring the flute. I was listening to Maul deliver that. Do it live from Soho. Killer commentary. And I noticed something. Like, why you did that today?
Starting point is 00:37:23 Why you clink cleaned your chain today no put the chain on the stove huh no put a toothpaste to the chain nice little glisten no Joe I didn't do anything put it in the shower
Starting point is 00:37:34 let that steam hit it I've never had a chain I'm sorry you guys cleaning your chains with toothpaste Rory never had a chain tell Rory how to be cleaning his shit you put it on the stove
Starting point is 00:37:42 I don't know how to clean jewelry no you put your rollie on the stove? Take it to a jewelry store, I guess, and let them clean it. You guess? Oh, you walk around with a dirty chain? Yuck. Yuck. Couldn't be me.
Starting point is 00:37:56 Damn. Your girl want a nigga that's yoked. A-yo. I don't even know if that's A-yo. It just sounds like it. Yo, y'all shouldn't have put me nowhere where I could hear conversations by 24-year-olds. Oh, you're getting all the new slang. Oh, I'm out here now. Oh, my God.
Starting point is 00:38:16 I'm sure. I can't believe y'all pulled me into that chat house shit, man. Chat house. Chitter chatter house. Chitter chatter house. Corey texted me like, get in chat house now. I was like Oh okay Are you enjoying
Starting point is 00:38:27 Your experience so far Cause I'm not I haven't found my pocket It was It was just funny You know it's It's just funny Listening to people
Starting point is 00:38:33 Like what was her What was her name What was the young lady's name That won Did she Carmen didn't win You wanna give some backstory No Carmen
Starting point is 00:38:41 No I thought Carmen won My nigga No Carmen didn't win Carmen is I can listen to her. What's her clubhouse? I'm following her. I want to follow her. Listening to her talk? Yo, I was
Starting point is 00:38:51 fucking crying. Fellas, what did she win? Well, Parks, on this app Clubhouse, you can create rooms. Whoa, whoa, whoa. Chitter Chatterhouse. I'm giving a promo away to niggas that's not paying us. No wonder they let us go, Spotify. Yeah, the Chat Chatter House. Chitter Chatter House. The promo way to niggas that's not paying us. No wonder they let us go, Spotify. Chitter Chatter House.
Starting point is 00:39:06 Yeah, the Chatty Patty House. There was a room called For the Love of Joe Budden. Wow. Did you start it? A series of questions. No, of course. And we did some back and forth with some women and really got to know them and their needs.
Starting point is 00:39:21 What he means is a couple of women we'd really beat in real life. That I may have voted against on purpose. How did you guys vote? Yo, her. Pretty much. That's exactly how it went. Yeah, that shit was funny, man. It seems like that app needs
Starting point is 00:39:37 some type of visual or text element to it. I think it would make it a little bit better. I think a chat would be funny for the people that can't talk. I think we should stop improving other people. Shit is what I think. I mean, unless y'all just going to sit here and give it all up. My bad.
Starting point is 00:39:54 Oh, intelligent baddies. I mean, you know, tech baddies. Farce is a tech baddie. They can hold that gem for free Stop touching me
Starting point is 00:40:07 Engineer baddies That's some funny shit Alright no I'm having too much fun Let me toss it to our Former Sony baddie What's with all this baddie thing This is a
Starting point is 00:40:21 Chat house thing No listen This morning I got a DM From a beautiful young lady What's with all this baddie thing? This is a chat house thing? Sony baddie alone? No, listen. This morning, I got a DM from a beautiful young lady that said, damn, you're taking four days, five days to respond like you a baddie. No, you weren't. And I said, I am. Yeah. I like that.
Starting point is 00:40:39 Fuck is you on? I like that energy. What you talking about? Nah. That's how we on it right now. Quick question. How long do you think before Instagram and Facebook buys or implements a chat house feature? Chitty chatty?
Starting point is 00:40:51 Honestly, I'm shocked that Twitter hasn't done it yet. Twitter would be the best for it. Twitter was toying with the idea not too long ago. Yeah, I remember it. You had the little voice there. I remember that too. And for some reason, they seem to have abandoned it. But I think, listen, I'm well documented as saying we have to see the change in the next five years I
Starting point is 00:41:09 don't know where the change is gonna come from but we saw the social apps to dictate the last decade and we saw how instrumental they've been in everything that we're passionate about so something about that has to change in the next 5 to 10 years I mean but I feel like to what we're saying if someone buys chitty chatty app i mean we've seen it with like when periscope came out and the live feature happened and then instagram was like well guess we'll take that idea and monopolize that whole game yeah but it's about how you continue to improve on your idea and that's the beautiful thing as a creative like uh shit instagram facebook's instagram facebook stole from tiktok and what did tiktok say every new app that but wait let me finish my point let me finish my point and what
Starting point is 00:41:57 did tiktok do they went and signed a deal with sony like they're signing deals with the record labels now to be a distributor. You can start as one thing and turn into something else is what I'm saying. Go ahead, Rory. I just think with the smaller features of things, I just feel like the bigger companies see that
Starting point is 00:42:17 and just implement it into their own platform and because the community is already there, it's easier just to be on one app rather than seven. Can you imagine when the 50-year-old racist on Facebook get a hold of a chitty-chatty party? Oh, it's lit. Rory, you're absolutely right. They do, but that don't mean that the smaller business has to die.
Starting point is 00:42:32 I'm not buying Master P oodles and noodles, but that doesn't mean somebody isn't. Title isn't the preferred. It isn't the streaming service with the most market share, but they're not trying to be well so i mean i'm saying you can be successful i'm saying and get stolen from i'm saying more features uh that can be implemented into an app like i used to use periscope often probably more than i did use ig live but once i already had some type of a following on instagram and the community was
Starting point is 00:43:02 there and i already use instagram now you have the live feature on that rather than having people click this link to an app they hadn't heard of yet it it just is a big easy step for the major corporations to take over all these new features that the smaller companies are making well me personally that's why you know I came in here before our Spotify deal ended I went on a like five episode rant about shit. But to give those of you that have been following us an update on things, I just think it's a really good time to not be signed to anybody. I don't know why people thought
Starting point is 00:43:34 that we was just talking that talk for a little while. Sometimes you have to let the market play out. Especially right now with what's going on. Sometimes you're ahead of the play, and you could see small steps being taken to other people getting to the play, and you could see small steps being taken to other people getting to the play, and you just got to wait it out. And that's how I feel.
Starting point is 00:43:50 I don't know why people are just rushing into these deals. I don't get it. You know why? Security. Yeah, Maul's not wrong. I wondered the other day how, I won't name any names, but how a few people were paying their bills now that touring is over because like that happens every month you have to figure that out every month and for me if i was still rapping i don't know how i would be paying my bills right now yeah you'll figure it out i chill you a hustler
Starting point is 00:44:20 that's why you see the mixtape hosting thing i would have a project out every week to be honest with you. It's not a bad idea. I mean, not every week, every month. It's not a bad idea. Merch. I would be killing
Starting point is 00:44:29 my empire game. Yeah. And a lot of people would think, you know, with these paywalls, a lot of artists I think are
Starting point is 00:44:35 staying afloat with that, putting content behind these paywalls and things like that. There's ways to do it. When you're a hustler, you know, you always run into
Starting point is 00:44:44 roadblocks and obstacles. You know what I'm saying? I don't understand. You threw your drink in the air when do it. When you're a hustler, you always run into roadblocks and obstacles. You know what I'm saying? I don't understand. You threw your drink in the air when Cassidy put out on my hustler when you was in the club? I've never done that in my life. Well, you are a fucking liar.
Starting point is 00:44:53 I threw a drink in the air? What song got you hype as a Bronx Proud Boy? M.O.P., Ante Up. In 2000s? M.O.P., Ante Up. I believe that was 2001. M.O.P., Antioch I'm done I'm done I'm done with M.O.P. Antioch
Starting point is 00:45:08 yeah like what Cassidy you thought that's what did it Cash got me going crazy well I don't maybe my drink and my two-step
Starting point is 00:45:15 is the second single really got you Cassidy made me go crazy when the beginning of me and you used to come on to the club hey Cassidy had joints man
Starting point is 00:45:23 I said I meant Cassidy but well Cassidy too yeah Cass. How was your shake? Cassidy had joints, man. I meant Cassie, but. Well, Cassidy too. Yeah. Shout out to Cassie and Cassidy. Yeah, both of the Cassis. Rory was telling me about some diet tips.
Starting point is 00:45:38 Oh. No, because you look so. Rory saw me with the lipo. Hey. You look so slim and healthy. I took a little bit off the back. So I had to ask you if you was on... Do you transfer?
Starting point is 00:45:48 I mean, come on, man. From where? My thighs. Moe, you're tight. I got thighs. Fuck out of here. He's trying to pull me into your bullshit. Basley, what's up, man?
Starting point is 00:46:02 I had enough of the dog rumors. Get out of here. So, see? She's consensual. She's initiating, really. For real. Mad aggressive on me. No, I was wondering if he was on the keto. And I've never heard of keto in my entire life.
Starting point is 00:46:17 I don't know what that is. I do want to get to the bottom of keto. Keto is one of the- Keto? With a T? K-E-T-O. Which I think is short for something. Ketogenic.
Starting point is 00:46:27 Ketogenic diet. Ketogenic. This has become popular. He know all the jenner's. Ketogenic is a jenner. Yes. Okay. And first of all,
Starting point is 00:46:36 can we give Kylie some credit? She's bodying the Beyonce face every surgery she gets. See, that's white privilege over here. See how Rory can just talk about that and say shit like that? I can't do that. I'm not rolling with Kylie until she smacked the shit out of Larsa. Oh, that's Khloe.
Starting point is 00:46:51 I can't keep up with my Jenner news. I got to ask more. All right, keto Jenner. What happened? So keto is popular because I think it does work. But it sounds like the worst diet on earth. Essentially, all you eat is red meat and cheese for like six months and you'll lose 12 pounds right away there's no way it could be good for you anyone that's on keto i just
Starting point is 00:47:11 imagine you stink like you just smell bad your colon is shot what your insides have to be like if you just eat red meat and cheese and that makes you lose weight bro you don't even think about that if when you go to a chick's house and use the bathroom you look at the corners oh come on absolutely women have just disgusting bathrooms in general
Starting point is 00:47:30 they are disgusting creatures they are it's gross damn what kind of you went to a woman's bathroom what she had in the corner
Starting point is 00:47:35 hair lint balls hair orange juice spilt on the side roaches orange on the side that means
Starting point is 00:47:44 it was a nigga in there that wasn't her it's a man she had condoms on the floor Roaches Orange on the side That means it was a nigga in there That wasn't her Condoms on the floor Makeup stains that aren't even her complexion Mopped the bathroom floor in months You tippy toe in the pee Three pee, two pee You stayed?
Starting point is 00:47:57 Shower curtain Disgusting moldy at the top Did I stay? Those are the girls that got the best pussy Mad mold on top of the shower curtains. Oh my god. Water don't get all the way hot. It's a little lukewarm. Mara dirty.
Starting point is 00:48:11 That sounds like a fucking night shower. Bitch ain't Windexed in a decade. This nigga was in a haunted house. He was in a haunted house? Where he was at, man? Bitch got the broom in the bathroom. Still ain't swept. It's nasty in there. Yeah, how you turn your bathroom into storage?
Starting point is 00:48:27 Loofah on the floor of the bathtub. Hang it up. Hang it up. What the fuck are you doing? The rag just sitting in the tub. Bitches always want to hang the loofah up in your crib. Bitch is going in the trash, ma.
Starting point is 00:48:41 You're not showering in here again. Why bitch, don't you get so familiar? Hey, if you don't mind, I'm just going to go and shower. Nah. That loofah just sitting I got to go to the studio.
Starting point is 00:48:53 Loofah mad stale. Smell like mildew. Yeah, nah, nah, no. You got to get in there and pick it up and smell it. See how she giving it up. Absolutely not. Jesus.
Starting point is 00:49:03 I see how you got COVID. That's how you got it. I'm sniffing a dirty loofah. That's how you giving it up. Absolutely not. Jesus. I see how you got COVID. That's how you got it. I'm sniffing a dirty loofah. That's how you got this shit. I can see why women would be going on more of those diets now that the weather's nicer in New York. I know nobody's alarmed by climate change. We have not had a winter in New York in years. And it doesn't look like we're getting one now.
Starting point is 00:49:25 We got a summer. It was 75 degrees yesterday in New York City. Working on my 10. It's over in the next two weeks, 50s. Hold that. Yeah, but that's not bad either.
Starting point is 00:49:36 That's not New York. That's not New York winter. You talking like an L.A. nigga. It's not winter. It's not winter yet. Maul, do you remember in New York when it was 19 degrees every day in the winter yeah it's not what that's the time that we're hard hasn't happened in years yeah I mean but you won't stop polluting it's
Starting point is 00:49:57 cuz of your keto diet your farts I would never run in the ozone would never do no shit like that I just want to know I pot that you cleaned you cleaned your chain in like what pot you used yeah you are fucking cooked it like it was spaghetti what's wrong with you you stirred it no you sure these dirty bathrooms put a little salt in there nigga stirred his chain you'd be thinking i'd be doing some crazy because you won't tell me what you're doing so that's what you think i gotta freestyle it i gotta freestyle i'm mad the fellas won't join me when I do that. What else do we need to get into? We had an interesting conversation about fanfare.
Starting point is 00:50:34 And I'll get into that later in our King Von conversation because Von had about five, six, or seven songs that I liked. Maybe six. To me, that meant I really liked him. Like, I like this guy. I was waiting to see his future. I was invested a little bit. You have five songs I like. Now, one, not two, not three.
Starting point is 00:50:50 That's five. Y'all say that that doesn't mean shit because to be a fan today means you're anticipating a release. And I don't even see how that could be true at all. It's more than that. Anticipating a release, you know about a lot of their early work, you follow them, you go to the shows.
Starting point is 00:51:09 It would depend on where those five songs are at too. Is it one project or five projects? Yeah. And did I seek those five songs out or did they find me? I don't care.
Starting point is 00:51:16 If you make five songs I like, I'm listening to your next song. I'm listening to your next two songs. A fan really goes after the music of them. If it's one album or spread out. But does that make you a fan? Like Vaughn has five songs on one project that I like.
Starting point is 00:51:31 Khalid maybe has seven songs spread out that I like. So now when I see Khalid's name, I click on it. I don't know if I'm a fan, but I click on it when he drops. I'm not anticipating, but when I see his name, I'm clicking. You got five of them I enjoy? That's a lot today. I take the word fan for what it is, fanatic,
Starting point is 00:51:50 very seriously. So I'm not a fan of a lot of artists. I like a lot of artists. I'm not a fan. How many artists are you a fan of, Roy? Yes, you are. You're a fan of artists. It's double digits.
Starting point is 00:52:00 It's double digits. Stop it. It's definitely double digits. And all of life? Yeah, I'm thinking probably 25, 30. No, not all of life. i'm thinking probably 25 30 i'm not all of life i'm talking about currently oh currently now yes uh 10 if we're talking double digits a fan i'm probably in the team y'all are crazy i need you i need to be educated by y'all you are a fan of more than 10 acts today yeah i, I would think so. What are you talking about?
Starting point is 00:52:26 Like, don't do this like the top 25 rappers where we put 50 rappers in the top 25. I don't know if there's 10 artists I would go see live. You like more than 10... I don't know if there's 10 artists I would go see live.
Starting point is 00:52:33 So that's the criteria? You would have to go see them live. To be a fan of somebody, you definitely go see them live. And pay for the ticket. For sure. Like examples, some shows,
Starting point is 00:52:43 you know how you go to some shows and they say... Shows are dead. It's not such a thing as a show. It's over with. Find another way. Okay, know how you go to you go to some shows and they say shows are dead not such thing as a show it's over with find another way okay so how they used to say yo you can chill backstage but when you're a fan you like nah i want to sit out in the crowd i want to be i want i want to see the show that's when you're a fan of somebody's or a showgoer all right but now you you just you just hopping around different shows all over the place no cause I could be a fan of going out
Starting point is 00:53:07 I could be a fan of shows well there's there's also a difference there of me being a fan of live music so if I happen to be somewhere and I see that
Starting point is 00:53:16 there's live music I'll go listen to it but not in the sense that I sought out this ticket and I made sure I was free the day but cleared my schedule
Starting point is 00:53:24 to go see this person perform. Do you guys miss touring? Yes. Do you guys miss touring? You miss it now? It really hit me when I started thinking about a Christmas show that we're not going to be able to do this year. Because we've done several Christmas shows in a row now.
Starting point is 00:53:35 Should I accept the drive-in show gig? I'll be down for Christmas. I was talking to Ian about that. I'll be down for Christmas. You're a loser. That might be kind of cool. That's why you're not deciding things. No, we're not doing the drive-in show.
Starting point is 00:53:45 Our supporters are too crazy. You want them to come honk at us? You took exactly my response to it, so you don't even listen. I said no. I said I was talking
Starting point is 00:53:53 to Ian about it because I was already awkward trying to talk to the crowd. Now I'm going to talk to headlights? Yeah, I don't like it. It's a little weird. I don't like it.
Starting point is 00:54:02 And shit, we're already damn near in 2021. When do the shows come back for real? I know we ask this here a bunch, but time keeps on ticking and I don't see a sign of it. I would say summer at the very earliest. I don't even see people trying to book the Houston and Atlanta gigs. And those are the two places over here I see open and rocking.
Starting point is 00:54:20 Yeah. I see a couple people out there, but. It's just so many contradictions. It's not enough. It's too many contradictions with the restrictions and rocking. Yeah. I see a couple people out there, but... It's just so many contradictions with the shit from the internet. There's too many contradictions with the restrictions and shit. And there's not enough music dropping in a pandemic for me.
Starting point is 00:54:31 I don't know what people are doing. But that's why, because people can't perform it. They can't tour it. They can't do these shows. You have to make a living. If there's one thing this COVID shit taught me
Starting point is 00:54:40 is I don't understand why they haven't pushed for rapid, inexpensive, accessible testing. Because if we could all test ourselves inexpensively frequently we would be able to do pretty much everything as normal no you can do everything that's normal as long as it's you know like you can eat inside as long as inside is outside I saw that they got all these bubbles on the sidewalks now so like I thought it was a great point why not just go inside the fucking restaurant you can if you look outside now because it's getting colder they're creating these like Bubbles on the sidewalks now. I thought it was a great point. Why not just go inside the fucking restaurant?
Starting point is 00:55:12 If you look outside now because it's getting colder, they're creating these tents and these little bubbles and all this stuff. And they're saying you can't eat inside, but you're eating inside. Just inside is outside. What's the difference between this establishment or me sitting in this fucking little bubble? I get it. The virus is real. I understand that. But so are many other viruses that we come into contact with every day. Like, it's just stupid.
Starting point is 00:55:33 Shit is crazy. Like, let people go back to leave the mask on. You know what I mean? Get us testing. Like, rapid, at least fairly accurate tests. If you're not feeling well, stay home. Like, what we've always been doing. Like, with with regular common shit, like a cold and the flu. Probably ain't got the rapid test, took 15 minutes or whatever.
Starting point is 00:55:51 If you could just get that for 50 bucks or 20 bucks or something at the Duane Reade, you would be able to go about a fairly normal life and test yourself once a week or when something happened. Well, you're not feeling good. Yeah. It's crazy. Anyway. This shit is weird. I digress. Well, you're not feeling good. Yeah. It's crazy. Anyway. This shit is weird. I digress.
Starting point is 00:56:06 Well. Since it's been nice in New York, I keep trying to get to Roof Chris to get to Tomahawk, and I just can't. Damn. Can't get a reservation. I think Biden is getting prepared
Starting point is 00:56:15 to close shit down again. Oh, absolutely. There's been a surge, so I wouldn't be surprised. I know four people close to me that have gotten it in the last couple weeks. Including me?
Starting point is 00:56:24 Including you. Which is, that was not the case previously. I knew, you know, someone that knows someone, know four people close to me that have gotten it in the last couple weeks so including me including you which is that was not the case previously i knew you know someone that knows someone someone's grandma someone's you know whatever before now it's like oh shit my niece has it you know i'm saying my one of my best friends has it you have it yeah it's different man you know what i mean like i mean people went back outside that's really what it was. Not much else to it. Mandy's been inside, and she can't get a positive test for nothing. I mean, a negative test. Mandy went to Tulum.
Starting point is 00:56:52 I can't wait to go to Tulum. So you can get it again? I can't wait. I got the antibodies now. I'm good. I'm out here. I'm spitting on niggas. I got the antibodies now.
Starting point is 00:57:00 I'm coughing at niggas. Yo, what's up? You ain't shit. I got the antibodies. I'm dapping niggas. Yo, what's up? You ain't shit. I got the antibodies. I'm dabbing niggas up, rubbing their back. I'm putting mad germs on them. Like a pit pocket. And this is the
Starting point is 00:57:16 reason why herpes spreads. Word. And COVID. How many chicks you fuck with herpes, Rory? I hope zero. I hope zero. I hope zero. I really hope zero. You hear Mr. Houston over here? Mr. Hopeful.
Starting point is 00:57:30 I hope zero. Look at the questions you just throw at somebody, though. One can only pray. You hear him now? I hope none. Yeah, nah, he hope none. What that mean, nine? I hope none, too.
Starting point is 00:57:39 That means nine. About four. Well, was it inflamed? Was it that time? I've had a few cold sores before. White people looking for a pink dot on them is nuts. All right, man. All right, no, come on.
Starting point is 00:58:03 We got to talk about important stuff. Let's talk about important stuff. Come on. We'll get to it. Don't scream, man. What's up with you, son? He just keeps bringing this back up. Shut up to scream, man.
Starting point is 00:58:12 Hey, yes, sir. PA, you did what you had to do. GA, you did what you had to do. I thought they were still counting over there. No, I think that's done. They finally finished? Yeah. Yo, Trump got niggas shook, man.
Starting point is 00:58:28 They've been counting two weeks ago. They finished it. Why is Nevada still counting? Tell me why Nevada. There's 3,000 people in Nevada. They're all in Nevada. Why are they still counting?
Starting point is 00:58:39 You know why they still counting. I know, because Trump got niggas shook. Trump gonna shake this shit up, man. This shit ain't over. Some recounts. This is over. This is over. They said that with Al Gore andiggas shook. Trump going to shake this shit up, man. This shit ain't over. Some recounts. This is over. This is over.
Starting point is 00:58:47 They said that with Al Gore and Bush, too. Look at you hopeful for your man. I'm just saying, Al Gore and Bush was close. You wishing your man get back, right?
Starting point is 00:58:53 Nah, that ain't my man. I'm laughing at all this shit. This shit is just funny to me. But if y'all think Trump going down like that. Congratulations to President-elect Joe Biden and Kamala Harris,
Starting point is 00:59:05 our first black female vice president. Commas. First black, first female. Yeah, mad first. Mad first. Congratulations to them both. I did laugh at the SNL shit, the opening
Starting point is 00:59:21 part when she said, I'm the first biracial black female vice president with my husband who is the first gentleman with kids that's Jewish. I checked off every voter fraud box there was. Yo, being a first man, that sounds kind of lit, though. Yeah, being a first gentleman's all right. Number one player. First gentleman just sounds hilarious.
Starting point is 00:59:54 That's swaggy, man. When your wife got the fly job. I don't even know if he's a gentleman. I felt really good seeing the people celebrating the streets. I did, I'll be honest with you. It was lit. I walked around. I kept it. Well you. It was lit. I walked around. I kept it.
Starting point is 01:00:06 Well, the TV was on MSNBC all week. When it was announced Biden won, I did switch over to Fox News to catch a vibe. I watched a lot of Fox, actually. They did a pretty good job of being biased. I got to give it to them. They were really somber and sad, and it was awesome to watch. They act like they didn't even want to deliver the news that day, of all those days and
Starting point is 01:00:25 it was good i don't normally watch fox news i don't either but i was watching it during the election i was actually surprised about the fact that they weren't super biased i like to watch fox just because i don't want to be that person that just literally sits there and only watches the thing that suits their thoughts like Like, I believe this thing, so let me watch a whole bunch of stuff that's just going to reaffirm my ideas. 100%. Yeah, I try to watch Fox for another side.
Starting point is 01:00:54 Yeah. I laugh most of the time, but... I can't understand that one white boy, though. Which one? Tucker Carlson? That might be the one. He's a very punchable face. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:01:05 I'm happy for Biden. I's a very punchable face. Yeah. Yeah. I'm happy for Biden. I'm happy for Kamala Harris. I'm happy for the country. I'm happy I can finally turn the TV off and not deal with the anxiety that comes with watching all of that shit. I'm happy that the blue is where the blue is, that he was able to turn a couple of those red states. I'm happy that we had the highest voter turnout that we've ever had like i'm happy about i'm happy about a few things on both sides biden number one trump number two as the most votes in presidential history yeah it's a big deal
Starting point is 01:01:36 no super big deal yeah super big deal so i was happy about a lot of that i'm happy that uh they're taking all these pics of trump looking sad, hiding out in the White House. I like the moving truck in front of the White House. I did. I get a particular joy out of every, this Supreme Court of this state said get the fuck out of here. I enjoy it every time. I'm not jacking that more people voted for Biden than Obama in 08. I'm not jacking that.
Starting point is 01:02:03 Huh? I don't believe that. More people voted for, oh. I'm not dragging that. Huh? I don't believe that. More people voted for... Oh. I don't believe that. But why when more people voted, period? I don't believe that. Why?
Starting point is 01:02:12 You don't believe more people voted... Obama in 2008? I don't think more people voted for Joe Biden than Obama in 2008. Well, more people voted for Trump this year than they voted for Obama in 2008. Correct. They're number one and number two
Starting point is 01:02:24 for the most votes ever. That's what I'm saying. This whole election to me is like bullshit. I don't believe that. I believe 2008 you felt that. Not just me. I mean, call me crazy but 2008 when Obama was running for president, people weren't as politically active then.
Starting point is 01:02:40 And what? Voting wasn't really a young person's thing. He was voting for the first black president. I get it. There's nothing for y'all to argue More people voted now than have ever voted before Now you can choose not to believe that I don't believe that It feels that way
Starting point is 01:02:54 How does it feel that way? I know more people that voted personally Including myself Democrats don't normally get the states that they got That's why it feels that way. I'm not jacking it. But okay. No, it feels that way because fuck anything Democrat or Republican.
Starting point is 01:03:12 On both sides, it's the most people that have voted ever. Yeah, who cares who won? It's the most people that came out to vote. I also, the studio, the early voting place was directly next door to the studio. And I went there three times a week or four times a week, and every single time, not New Yorkers, you might not really understand what this means, but it was a line that was an avenue and two streets long,
Starting point is 01:03:33 every single time for like three weeks. I know more people personally that have voted than in my entire life. I've just met friends of mine that have never voted in their life that could have voted in 2008 and didn't were voting for the first time this year. Well, we are in different, the world is in different circumstances now. So global emergency.
Starting point is 01:03:55 Much more of the younger crowd is voting now. That's just weird to me. I enjoyed the global leaders that were congratulating Joe Biden via their socials. It just has, it's felt like a different energy since the election was called. It has. I agree.
Starting point is 01:04:13 A hundred percent. How is Alaska still not done counting? Well, Trump will get Alaska. Well, of course, but Trump will get North Carolina. I don't understand when his people came out and, and we're saying that, of course, but isn't it like seven people over there? Trump will get North Carolina. I don't understand when his people came out and were saying that, oh, no, we're not finished.
Starting point is 01:04:30 There's a way. Like, they didn't add up Nevada. I mean, not Nevada. They're still counting. Like, no, you're going to win the places you're going to win, and that's still not going to be enough. Yeah. It's more impressive that Joe Biden has a chance to get to 320 yeah that speaks to voter turnout man us getting us getting pennsylvania and and all
Starting point is 01:04:53 oh man it's so many people that are responsible like the numbers are the numbers of white voters are up number of black voters are up number of next yeah next voters are up like they came out man they. Yeah, Latinx voters are up. Like, they came out, man. They came out. The people spoke. And this turned out to be the way that I expected. Like, it started really close, and I was home sad saying, oh, my God, why is it so close to America? We're getting shot to shit.
Starting point is 01:05:17 What don't you see? And then as the votes kept getting counted up, he pulled away with a lead, man. I'm happy for them. I can't wait to see what he does. He already announced a coronavirus task force. Yeah. He's using the guy that helped set up the NBA bubble, which I think is interesting and dope because they did a really good job. Forward thinking.
Starting point is 01:05:36 It's forward thinking. I am with Maul. I think that Trump is going to have a blast these next two months. He's going to go crazy in there. Absolutely. Actually, maybe not in there. Maybe just mad executive orders from his golf clubs. His golf clubs.
Starting point is 01:05:50 He's either going to do that or we're not going to hear a peep, except for him on Twitter. It's going to be one or the other. I'm not sure which. Well, now we can't see the tweets anymore because they took away his head of state, the head of state exemptions. So now when you say something that's not factual, we don't see it. They just block it.
Starting point is 01:06:06 And that's what's been happening. Good. Yeah. They trying to phase the Don out, man. Good. They trying to muffle Don. Look at you.
Starting point is 01:06:12 They trying to muffle Don. That's the only Don we recognize here. The only Don I acknowledge is Savon. Yeah. Come on, Maul. They trying to, they trying to,
Starting point is 01:06:19 Savon, you the real Don. They trying to muffle the Don, man. You know what I mean? Speaking of, do you think he, do you think he's been a good loser? No.
Starting point is 01:06:28 Rory. I'm curious about people that are a fan of him. I'm not asking you guys. Absolutely. I like this. This is entertainment. I love this type of shit. Two white men arguing in front of the world.
Starting point is 01:06:40 This is the greatest shit ever. Do you think there's any contradiction with your whole crew of the right that told all of us to shut up and accept the results when Hillary lost to right now? Why are you saying my crew? Any hypocritical... I'm not part of any political...
Starting point is 01:06:57 Keep counting in this state. Stop the counting in this state. Like, we just want some... It's the inconsistencies for me. I think they were just talking about the states with the inconsistencies for me. I think they were just talking about the states with the higher mail-in ballots. I think that's what
Starting point is 01:07:07 they were talking about. That's all. From what I've seen, that's what seems to be Every single state had mail-in ballots at a higher level than they've ever been.
Starting point is 01:07:15 And the funny part, if you watch, if you watch how the voting process played out, if the dude would have acted anything like a president, he'd have won. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:07:27 Like, you lose Arizona because you spent two years shitting on John McCain. Even after he dies, you still shit on him. You not thinking about how that's going to play out? Georgia with John Lewis.
Starting point is 01:07:41 Mm-hmm. You not thinking about how that's going to play out at all? Like, he fucked himself. Yeah, he did a lot of loser shit. Yeah, get him out of here, man. I'm happy to see him go. I am.
Starting point is 01:07:53 I don't care if Marlon Verne are mad about it. Yeah, me either. And all the Bronx Doughboys. I'm just mad we can't get his tweets right now. That's what I want. I want the tweets.
Starting point is 01:08:01 No, what did I say on the last episode? Go on Facebook. I'm sure they're there. I think Trump, when he loses, is going to start a TV network or a podcast or something. And then the reports two days later, Trump is going to start a TV network to rival Fox. And he's taking Sean Hanley, Tucker Carlson, and whatever that stupid white bitch.
Starting point is 01:08:16 Van Jones? Jesus, boy. You're so aggressive. Wait, what? Jesus Christ. Oh. I thought that's who you was talking about. No. No. The stupid blonde white bitch is not Van Jones. Oh. I thought that's who you was talking about. No.
Starting point is 01:08:26 The stupid blonde white bitch is not Van Jones. Oh, it's not. I thought I was talking about what you said before that. No, Wally, I'm out. He was going to take them and put a... No, I thought... I was talking about what he said before that. Van Jones is bald.
Starting point is 01:08:37 No. That's not... And black. I know that. And a dude. And a man. And a dude. I wasn't speaking to the blonde.
Starting point is 01:08:44 I was saying people he gonna snap up well no bitch is not gender specific that's true but it was gender specific well you shouldn't say it Rory how about that no cause I think words are important
Starting point is 01:08:52 and when someone warrants to be called a bitch it's okay air horn yeah it's okay we shouldn't get rid of the word we should stop using it casually
Starting point is 01:09:00 for people that don't need to be called bitches that woman whatever her fucking name is, is a stupid blonde white bitch. Is Ghislaine Maxwell okay? She's fine. How do you know?
Starting point is 01:09:13 Yeah, I haven't heard anything. How do you know? I keep seeing little things that they're shooting down shit that she's trying to do. Like trying to split up her charge. Like Liz?
Starting point is 01:09:20 Yeah, right. Keep breathing? No, honestly, the last thing I heard about Ghislaine Maxwell was she was being moved from cell to cell, bullpen to bullpen to avoid getting killed in a cell. And that was it. Putting her in a bullpen. She's dying.
Starting point is 01:09:38 Keep her in a private cell. Yeah, like, where's she at? I've seen a bunch of shit About her trying to Change Change charges Or split them up By jurisdiction I'm just saying It feels like
Starting point is 01:09:49 We should check on her Seeing what happened To Jeffrey Like Listen Her nasty ass Needs to be buried Under the jail
Starting point is 01:09:58 So I don't care If she catches a deal But this is where I fully support snitching Snitch away I hope you don't get A deal out of it though You going down With the rest of them.
Starting point is 01:10:07 Snitch. Snitch. I hate when Rory gets super political and fucking gimmicky. What? Rory thinks that Ghislaine Maxwell should be put under the jail. Rory also follows at least 20 girls on Twitter that do the same thing that Ghislaine Maxwell was doing. Not the same thing. Don't do that.
Starting point is 01:10:24 Not with underage girls. Stop it. What? Do you know what she did? Of age women. Not underage. It's not the same at all. Fundamentally not the same.
Starting point is 01:10:32 That's what all this is about is that these were young girls. These were children. But because they have charges on Ghislaine, these are the charges, underage women. You don't think Ghislaine had the older crop? I'm not saying she didn't. That don't matter. It's not a double negative where it cancels
Starting point is 01:10:46 each other out. No. You brought a bunch of underage girls to an island to get fucked by old men. Yeah, get buried under the jail. Yeah, that's your Houston. Everyone's of age, though. That's the difference. That's all the difference you need. That's the difference you need right there.
Starting point is 01:11:01 And it's consensual. Houston is Rory's island. That is Rory's island. That is Rory's island. Oh, man. I hope Ghislaine's all right. And Houston. I do. Houston is fine.
Starting point is 01:11:15 Houston is fine. Trust me. Actually, oh, man. Now, I don't know if I'm giving it up like that. You know, Houston is so fine. I got somebody in Houston that's celebrating a birthday. I tried to surprise him. Like, yo, come out there, pop up.
Starting point is 01:11:29 Start toasting up. It's like, nah, I got it. I got it. You just stay right there in Edgewater, okay? Season's done, bro. I was like, oh, bitch. The athletes are back. See?
Starting point is 01:11:40 They're back. Sometimes you get to off-season. Yeah, they don't need you right now. They're off-season now now They're not in the bubble Anymore buddy Daddy They're in another bubble now Yo and ever since
Starting point is 01:11:51 Harden's been shutting down Camp They don't need you Ever since I've been Talking about John Wall Being healthy It's a new vid out Every day of him
Starting point is 01:11:57 Ah ah ah Rose Bar Rose Bar will never Be safe again No Oh man Rose Bar Alright what was safe again Oh man Rose Bar Alright what was we talking about? Nothing?

January that's very important. January Atlanta
Starting point is 01:12:23 Georgia let's do it. Get to it. We are not finished. We still have a job that needs to be done. What are you doing, Scream, man? Are you trying to just dictate the next topic? Yo, you cry with Van Jones? Like on each other's shoulder?
Starting point is 01:12:41 Did you feel like a better father that morning? Did you hug Lex tighter better father that morning? Did you hug Lex tighter when Biden became president? Did you hug him tighter? Y'all laughing at Van Jones. I'm not allowed to say this. You're fucking right I'm laughing at Van Jones. I understood exactly what he was doing and saying.
Starting point is 01:12:58 I knew what he was doing. I don't really understand it. I was laughing. What'd you find funny about him? He's a decent man. What'd you find funny about it, Moe? I'm a decent man. What that nigga say? Get the fuck out of here, Van Jones. Well, it's easier to be a parent this morning.
Starting point is 01:13:16 It's easier to be a dad. Only Van, I acknowledge his laces. It's easier to tell your kids character matters. Character matters. It matters. Tell them character matters. It does does matter being a good person matters And it's easier for a whole lot of people come on if you're Muslim in this country You don't have to worry if the president doesn't want you here
Starting point is 01:13:41 If you're ever going what do you have to worry if the president's going to be happy to have me. You can laugh, Rory. You may laugh, man. Now, listen. Get the fuck out of here with this bullshit. I paused it for a minute because the first thing I went to when I heard this video clip, I immediately got to judging his cry. That's what I'm laughing at.
Starting point is 01:14:03 Not what he's saying. The cry is what I'm judging. Van Jones looks like he would have a better cry than the one that is exhibited here. Like, I expect more of bald black kings. Yo, I can't, man.
Starting point is 01:14:17 I can't do it. I can't let you do this, Joe. We not doing this. You know he wasn't supposed to be crying like that, man. Cut it out. What the fuck is he crying for? It't supposed to be crying like that man cut it out well it's easier to be a parent this morning it's easier to be a dad right in his hand it's easier to be a dad
Starting point is 01:14:30 this morning you don't have kids they still get homeschooled they running around wilding while you on zoom taking a meeting these kids are going crazy in the house you don't have kids none of you have kids y'all don't know shit man these kids are going crazy in the house man he wasn't supposed to be crying like that i don't give a fuck what none of y'all said. That was ridiculous. He's a character to me. He'd be a good dad. My father probably met Biden once in his whole life.
Starting point is 01:14:54 Yeah, like, and then all these pictures of him smiling with Trump hit the net the next day. It's like, yo, what we doing here, man? Listen, as somebody that has children, I appreciated that and understood exactly what he was saying. Come on, cut it out. I'm not saying men can't cry. You can't cry over Joe Biden being elected president. Yes, you can, Maul. Get the fuck out of here, man.
Starting point is 01:15:13 Stop it. Stop, man. We not stop, stop, stop. Maul, you have to go talk to your grandparents. Stop, man. This guy is crazy. Stop, stop, stop. We can't do this.
Starting point is 01:15:19 Maul, if you have kids. Look at him, man. What are we talking about? What? If you have kids, Maul, and you have to explain the president of the United States being center stage spewing hate and- When did he spew hate? What are y'all talking about?
Starting point is 01:15:33 All right, we're not doing it. When did he spew hate? I thought we were having a good laugh and someone crying. Every time he got up here. How many black people has Joe Trump put in prison? It's easier. All right, let's talk. Let's talk. Let's talk. No, no. in prison? It's easier. All right. Let's talk.
Starting point is 01:15:46 Let's talk. Let's talk. No. Character matters. It matters. Character matters, Mo. Exactly. Telling the truth matters. Telling the truth matters, Mo.
Starting point is 01:15:51 Being a good person matters. He was a good person, Mo. It matters. No, all of those things are facts. It matters. It's your fact. That matter no good and well. Yo, this stutter.
Starting point is 01:15:59 If you're a Muslim in this country, you don't have to worry if the president doesn't want you here. You're an immigrant. in this country. Stop. This stutter is disgusting. You don't have to worry if the president doesn't want you here. You don't have to worry if the president's going to be happier to have babies snatched away or send dreamers
Starting point is 01:16:12 back for no reason. Oh, I thought he was finished. No, no, he's not finished, but the stutter is crazy. Yo, come on. Give me the last time you gave him a stutter cry.
Starting point is 01:16:23 When you gave him a stutter cry, come on, give it to me, give it him a stutter cry. When you gave him a stutter cry. That was that right there. Give it to me. Give it to me. Give it to me. Don't act like you wasn't laughing at him crying, though. I did laugh, but I do understand exactly what he's saying.
Starting point is 01:16:32 What he's saying? But do you understand why he's crying? That's all I'm going to ask you. Do you understand why he's crying? When I see this stuff, yes, I understand why he's crying. No, you don't. And when I see this stuff, right, because when you're friends with women, women will tell you, like, all of the niggas that's moving crazy out here.
Starting point is 01:16:47 And sometimes they'll throw a name out there, like, that you just can't believe. Like Van Jones? Yes. Are you snitching? No, because they never said Van Jones to me, allegedly, but I'm just saying. I'm just saying Van Jones is out here. Like, it's hard to see these niggas on CNN doing this shit. You know, they're going
Starting point is 01:17:05 To pound town That's what I'm saying Like him sitting up there Crying like that They be the main ones Ben Jones You like the same women We like

It never says **** name. Shout out to the king, but you know what I'm saying. It's just a name that you have the utmost respect for in the world.
Starting point is 01:17:51 And you're like, wait, what? Oh, y'all quiet. Y'all pussy. We'll still add a word. I'm pretty sure he's married with the kids. Who? I was just using an example to provide entertainment on a podcast
Starting point is 01:18:06 hypothetically, Rory. I do find it interesting. Because wives and girlfriends would totally understand that. Rory, please stop bringing that shook nigga energy toward me. Like, please. I do find it interesting
Starting point is 01:18:15 when you follow like the baddies and then you see like Questlove is there or something like that. And it's like... Crazy. Yeah, like I'm a D-Nice. Men are men.
Starting point is 01:18:25 No doubt. Yeah, Van Jones, you... It-nice. Men are men. No doubt. Yeah, Van Jones, you'd still just, you'd be taken off guard a little bit. Like Barack Obama's following, you're like, wait, what?
Starting point is 01:18:31 And on top of that, it'd be the social justice warrior, super outspoken people, be the nastiest and creepiest ones on the low. Yeah, that's what I'm saying. Van Jones,
Starting point is 01:18:41 if they're crying, he don't send dick pics to bitches too, man. Cut it out. You can't cry like that. That's nothing to do with anything. up there crying like he don't send dick pics to bitches too, man. Cut it out. You can't cry like that. That's nothing to do with anything. By the way, can you send dick pics? You can't cry like that.
Starting point is 01:18:51 He crying like he... Calling Van Jones? Van Jones? No, I'm calling D-Nice. Van Latham. Why don't you call Van Latham and get to the bottom of the Vans? Oh, yeah. Call Van Latham next.
Starting point is 01:19:02 That's who I want to talk to. D-Nice ain't answering. He's getting up. He's DJing. Yeah, he DJing for the world right now. He doesn't want to talk to us. He DJing for the world. Yeah, he got 800,000 niggas in his life.
Starting point is 01:19:15 He hasn't stopped DJing since March, man. Feet bleeding and shit standing up. All right, I hung up on him. I hung up on him. Should we call Van for the battle of the Vans? Please. Please call Van. D-Night said he's in a Zoom meeting.
Starting point is 01:19:29 See? DJ. DJing for Zoom. All right, let's call. DJing in a meeting is hilarious. Let's call Van. What's happening? Let's call Van Jones.
Starting point is 01:19:37 You mean Van Latham? Yes. Long as it's a Van. Oh, now he busy see oh he don't really like Joe so maybe I should call yeah word
Starting point is 01:19:53 let's try that you call him that'd be fucked up yeah get your shit off you I wouldn't care it's fine first ring and shit
Starting point is 01:20:01 let's call Van Lathan and get him to judge Van Jones' cry. Wolf Blitzer wouldn't have cried like that. No, not Wolf. He was trying to kill Wolf. They would not let him go home. Not him? No, the TV guy.
Starting point is 01:20:21 The other one touching the screen? He was going crazy. Jason King? Yeah, John King yeah John King John King was up there talking alright man talking numbers
Starting point is 01:20:29 for four straight days alright so Van Jones we're done with the Vans Van Jones wins what Van Jones wins the battle of the Vans cause Van Latham
Starting point is 01:20:37 didn't want to pick up and defend his Van honor yeah yo you know what we didn't talk about that's how long we've been going we didn't talk about
Starting point is 01:20:44 us actually winning a BET Hip Hop Award. Oh, yeah. Shout out to us. Podcast baddies. You know what I'm saying? Who else but us? Hey, huh? You know the vibes.
Starting point is 01:20:55 There was other nominees. It was a close one. We had to stop the camera at some point. Catch feelings, not flights. Hey. Roy, did you write in for all your dead relatives like I did? Yeah, it was definitely voter fraud on our win.
Starting point is 01:21:09 Well, I bailed Lushen in. XXL reached out for a recount. Did you hit the bathroom mirror for the acceptance speech though? I mean, I thought about
Starting point is 01:21:16 it. I was actually going to wait until I got the actual trophy to sit in the bathroom mirror and cry. Really let the fans know that it's good that I
Starting point is 01:21:24 feel like BET is like a decent, decent platform because they actually, it's just easier to be a podcaster today. You see how funny that looks?
Starting point is 01:21:39 It's the same shit. Oh, man. You're right, though. BET has made it easier to be a podcaster. Nah, they did make it easier to talk about hip-hop. Bro, can you beat up Van Jones? No. Probably not. Not at all.
Starting point is 01:21:56 So why are you making these jokes about niggas you can't... You can't laugh at Van Jones crying. You can't laugh at niggas you can't beat up. I always do that all the time. Listen, when I saw that Javante Davis knockout, I understood why nobody bothered him in that gymnasium. What gymnasium? Because when I first saw it, I was like,
Starting point is 01:22:14 yo, yo, what's up? What y'all niggas doing, man? Why you ain't? When I seen that knockout, I was like, oh. That's why. That was fast. That was a fast punch. It was fast in slow was a fast punch.
Starting point is 01:22:27 It was fast in slow-mo. Yeah. That punch was terrifying. Your drink. Thank you. You're welcome. That punch was terrifying. I appreciate that.
Starting point is 01:22:37 What were you talking about before that punch? Making fun of people that could probably beat you up. BET Awards. I've met Van Jones once. He's definitely not a small dude. It would be a tussle. Where were you guys? He came to a Palooza?
Starting point is 01:22:49 No, this was at Made in America. It would be a tussle. You heard him? That's how you know when a nigga know he'll lose. He's like, nah, we'll get it on for a minute, but. Joe, I have been 5'9 my whole life. I know you just got to get him on the ground. I can't square up.
Starting point is 01:23:04 You got a grapple game? I got to really scuffle with you. I got to get you on the ground, and then we're the get them on the ground. I can't square up. You got a grapple game? I got to really scuffle with you. I got to get you on the ground, and then we're the same height on the ground. You got to mount him? You got to climb him. Climb him like a tree. Listen, man.
Starting point is 01:23:15 I'm into tall guys. I'm into tall guys. Whoa. Whoa. Thank you. Wait, we was going somewhere Before these bands Yeah come on You guys can give yourself Thank you
Starting point is 01:23:28 That was like A surprise I think we were all Actually really surprised That we won it I watched the show And they never aired it Yeah
Starting point is 01:23:35 So it was Just thank you to BET They ain't gotta air We won I know Salute to you know All the other Hot new hip hop
Starting point is 01:23:41 XXL Breakfast Club Shout out to the losers Hip hop DX DX, Complex. I was just honored to be in the same category as y'all. Your niggas lost with grace. Yes. Honored for y'all to be the losers I won against.
Starting point is 01:23:55 Yeah. But thank you to BET, though, man. I thought it was hilarious because we haven't talked about hip hop in like four years. Can we give him a little hip maybe not not not so much nothing hip-hop about this podcast a little hip you want to give us the r b awards we in there oh yeah that's it that's a clean that's a clean win i was happy we won but it just reminded me how long we've actually been gone that last podcast that we were in studio we were guessing about the outcome of this award we gave both our losing and winning speeches we did um that same podcast i
Starting point is 01:24:32 received a phone call that said my dad fell in the bathroom his knee gave out um he's awesome now prayers to my dad uh round of applause he's really awesome now my dad has had a really rough few years man honestly uh but he's good now the the i didn't say this i don't think the knee that he got surgery on the surgery was done incorrectly so at 6 a.m with him just going to the bathroom the knee gave out on him he fell in the bathroom when you're 60 something and you fall it's really dangerous he broke his fibula or some shit I can't pronounce. And he went to the hospital, and they said they would rather not do surgery on him, and he was really upset about that. I don't think people talk about how common that is,
Starting point is 01:25:17 because my dad has went through similar things with getting bad surgeries, like surgery just not going correctly and you fuck yourself up yes more yeah and it becomes a pattern where you're constantly trying to fix something that they fucked up in surgery like you know my pops been through that that's not brought up how much surgery fucks up yeah yeah no it does i know a lot of people have had botched knees and shoulders and shit so they were telling Pop that they needed whatever bone it was, they needed it to heal correctly before he
Starting point is 01:25:50 could walk again correctly. And while he was really upset about that at first, amazing what a couple of fine nurses would do. I just heard his energy shift over the next few weeks. He called talking about, yo, man, they say I walk better than ever if I just stay and listen to the nurses.
Starting point is 01:26:06 I mean, if I just do what they say, so I'm not in a rush to head home, man. I think it takes about six weeks for this to heal. That's what he's saying. He said, I was trying to get out of here in three weeks, but I'm going to stay the six to eight. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know, I know, I know. No, I know. I know. Yeah, no, you got your TV and a nurse with good energy, we'll call it.
Starting point is 01:26:25 Yeah, good energy. It's all about the energy. Yeah, he's right up the street from a BBQ's, I think. Hey, it's Van. Van. Hello, this is Joe Button from the Joe Button Podcast. COVID-free, you know the fucking vibes. Who is this?
Starting point is 01:26:46 This is Van fucking Latham. Also COVID free. What's up? Van Latham, you're not the hottest Van this week. Hey, Van, why you was crying like that on CNN? Very true. It's the battle of the Vans, man. Why you was crying like that on CNN, man?
Starting point is 01:26:59 Nigga, I ain't never crying on CNN. Van, who wins the battle of the Vans? That's what we called about. nigga I ain't never cried on CNN I ain't never cried on any of this shit very true who wins the battle of the vans that's what we called about I mean it depends on the criteria right the election I mean the election I would have to say he won nah he cried on CNN bro
Starting point is 01:27:19 I mean he I tell you why number one he lost for himself in the battle of the vans you gotta say he won because niggas is thinking I'm him. Niggas is not thinking he's me. I can appreciate that response. All right, well, let's do a quick versus one round. Oh, no, Van Lathan wins that. You doing you versus Kanye.
Starting point is 01:27:43 Van's Kanye rant against Van Jones' crying rant. Crying for Biden. I'm going Van Lathan wins that. You doing you versus Kanye. Van's Kanye rant against Van Jones' crying rant. Crying for Biden. I'm going Van Lathan. Van Lathan wins that one. I'm sorry. Because, Van, I think you was about to cry in front of Kanye. And Lathan rhymes with Nathan, my favorite hot dog. Come on, man.
Starting point is 01:27:57 Give it up. Give it up. I'm fucking with that. I'm glad. But, you know, a couple of weeks ago, me and Van Jones got on the phone and it got a little spicy. No. The truth is not. What happened?
Starting point is 01:28:15 I called Van Jones up. It could be only one fan in California. Higher learning with, you know, our friends over at The Ringer, which you love, Joe. Relax. I called, I called him up and I had made a video back in the day
Starting point is 01:28:31 where I had pointed out all the differences between me and Van Jones and it turned out that Van Jones didn't like that shit. So, me, you don't say. Van, did he cry?
Starting point is 01:28:44 So, you've been hating on Van Jones. been hating on van jones i didn't know that before i called van lathan van jones so don't attack me i roll with you no i just wanted i mean the whole video you just wanted clarity on some of this shit right if you watch the video i'm digging the nigga up i mean one thing that you can't really take away from him he's done a lot of great work for prison reform and all of that shit and i said all that shit in the video i also just said that i don't want fucking people walking around thinking i hang out with the fucking trumps i'm not fucking with that so that was the whole thing and me and him it got real spicy and then we piece it up at the end so i guess it's all good now but i don't know how you don't guess it's all good it doesn't I don't know how you're going to feel now. I guess it's all good, man. It doesn't sound like it's all good. You still want to fade.
Starting point is 01:29:26 The battle of the bands. Who will win? Yeah, I just don't want to be that nigga. That nigga got a lot of shit going on. It's good for him. Shout out to him and everything he got going. Yo, do you hear what Ben is saying? Yo, that nigga got a lot of good shit.
Starting point is 01:29:42 So he been kicking it with the Trumps? He got a lot of good shit going on. He don't need me to fuck that up. This is craziness, man. I didn't even call for this. I didn't call for this. Van, I only call for you to judge Van Jones' cry
Starting point is 01:29:54 on a scale of one to ten. In terms of what? What's the message? How sincere it was? Oh, he got you shook. This was the worst cry in the history of television. He want to know the terms of the cry
Starting point is 01:30:05 I want to know I mean to me if you really want to be real with it I don't think it's ever a time to go up there I don't think it's ever a time to go on TV and cry because a white man wants something
Starting point is 01:30:17 so like it don't matter what it is so like if a white dude getting more power even if that's the guy want, there's no reason to go up there and cry. But there's a lot of people that felt moved to tears. A lot of people were crying not because Biden won, but because Trump is gone. I can understand that.
Starting point is 01:30:36 But I can also understand a lot of people looking at him and going, those are your friends. So why are you acting like the world is so much better without them when we all know you fuck with them that's all I'm trying to say in Van Jones defense I don't think my friends are decent people either
Starting point is 01:30:51 and also that's kind of discounting Kamala Harris being part of that ticket Van Van listen this is my
Starting point is 01:30:57 this is my final question what do you think of Keke Palmer kissing that white dude her boyfriend oh man I knew her man I don't give a fuck
Starting point is 01:31:04 I didn't need to speak to her man. I don't give a fuck. It's her boyfriend. I ain't need you to speak to her, man. Kiki can't do no wrong for me. Do her, man. That's fine. Shout out to Kiki. I don't fucking care. Kiki's great.
Starting point is 01:31:13 So Van Jones can do wrong, but not... Okay. All right. All right. Look at who can't do any wrong. All right, I understand. No, I think I did the science on this one. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:31:24 Van, I appreciate you. Thank you for calling us back. I'm going to try to diffuse the smoke coming your way in the days coming. I'm with it. Bring all the smoke. I'm glad everybody up there helped me. I'm with it. I'm with it.
Starting point is 01:31:40 I'm with it. I'm glad everybody. I'm glad y'all back. I'm glad everybody up there helped me, man. Thank you, man. We appreciate it. We love you. Thank you for checking in with us, bro. All right with it. I'm glad y'all back. I'm glad everybody up there helped you, man. Thank you, man. We appreciate it. We love you. Thank you for checking in with us, bro. All right, bro. Peace. Rory
Starting point is 01:31:52 just informed me behind the scenes that Van Jones is actually a really big dude. Yeah, he might lose that fight. I'm apologizing in advance to Van Jones. You know I don't want no smoke. That was Rory McFerrell and Van Lathan, formerly of TMZ. Fuck them niggas up in my name.
Starting point is 01:32:14 Not me. All right, so I think we've waited long enough, man. We've waited long enough. Time to get into what we got to get into. Oh, man. I hate it here I do I really I really really hate it here I tell y'all I mean it, why they got killed, I seen it All's right, that's still, can't believe it Shit turned me to a demon, all this ass me ain't seen none Rack the back, hits like a rerun, me and T-Roy with scheme on I'm tryna put my whole team on
Starting point is 01:32:53 I tell y'all I mean it, why they got killed, I seen it All's right, that's still, can't believe it Shit turned me to a demon, all this ass me ain't seen none Rack the back, hits like a ring-ron The MC word was scheme I'm tryna put my whole team on Most of these niggas they fool And they don't really fuck with you Let me tell you the truth
Starting point is 01:33:14 Went on a drill my homie and that nigga ain't even shoot Steady I can dance if they ain't even you Set up bad bitches they ain't even Real morbid for me when the lyrics start to resonate with the way you transition Yeah, I went and listened to the albums, this whole discography, and it's just like, damn.
Starting point is 01:33:30 It's here. It's all kind of in the lyrics. No, it's in there. Yeah. It's in there. For those of you that are unaware, King Vaughn was murdered over the weekend. Was that the weekend?
Starting point is 01:33:43 I think it was the weekend. I believe so, yeah. Friday, right? King Vaughn was weekend. I believe so, yeah. Friday, right? King Von was murdered. November 7th? Yeah. Friday. Over the weekend,
Starting point is 01:33:50 he was at a little lounge in Atlanta. Video surfaced of whatever altercation broke out afterward, and unfortunately, King Von was murdered along with two of his friends. Apparently, the police were involved in his shootout. And unfortunately, King Von was murdered along with two of his friends. Apparently, the police were involved in a shootout. And again, it's just a really, really tragic situation for me.
Starting point is 01:34:12 For me, it was tough to come in here today. I'll be honest with you. Like, I was real glad that we had that break when it came. Because sometimes it's just difficult to come in here and speak about the things that are going on in our culture um when you have to feel it like when you're impacted by it and for me to continuously see video of our black kings that i enjoy being murdered there's something that it does to you psychologically um I go back to when uh Nipsey was murdered and what that did to us while we were on tour the way that it paused us all even parks and Rory as white dudes even Ian is key Ian and Keeve as white dudes it paused us and
Starting point is 01:35:01 made for a really difficult show when you have to witness that um triple x when we had to witness that the video it's just really really really disturbing and for me it's tough because they keep they keep video too they keep taking the niggas that i like and that that bothers me it hits me a little bit like when they took triple x he was one of the young dudes that i liked a lot when they took X, he was one of the young dudes that I liked a lot. When they took juice world, he was one of the young dudes that I liked a lot. When they took big L,
Starting point is 01:35:31 he was one of the young dudes that I liked a lot. When they took POC, when they took big, when pun left, like for me, that's, that's where I'm conflicted in hip hop because I'm so passionate about it. And I love it so much.
Starting point is 01:35:45 But when you're that invested and then these types of tragedies occur, it really makes you pause and take a step back. And for me, Vaughn was one of those dudes that I liked a lot. I spoke about him on his podcast quite a bit since I learned about him. And to just see it is really disturbing man really disturbing how instantaneous death can be I was sharing with y'all off mic that uh in my early in my in the earlier days of me having COVID probably the first and second night I was really afraid of not waking up the next day um and I said to myself in my head it was like if i don't wake up tomorrow i'm gonna be really really mad about going in my sleep but it was the first
Starting point is 01:36:33 time that i was face to face with that thought like sometimes we take life for granted that way where we don't think about you know the next day not the next day but uh shortly after vaughn passed i was in the shower and this has nothing to do with none I'm just sharing right now because it's a podcast um I was in the shower and I put on a song that I liked a lot and I said to myself wow look how I take this moment for granted like if I were in my last moment all I would want to do is listen to some of my favorite songs um you just never know what your last thoughts would be and when you would have to have them. So this is always a really disturbing conversation with me when I got to come in here and fake the funk like I'm OK when I'm not. Because every time one of these deaths occur, it reignites a trauma that was preexisting.
Starting point is 01:37:18 It reignites paranoia that was preexisting. It just reignites a lot of things, man. I'll pass to y'all so y'all can tell me about how y'all felt during some of this stuff but for me I didn't look forward to coming in here speaking about one of the young artists that I enjoyed a lot being murdered and being shot to death 10 to 15 feet away from him yeah it was um for me it was you know because i just started really locking in with his music and um when we did the zoom cast i had mentioned his album and i was like yo he got a really good project um and then you know listening to some of his older stuff and looking
Starting point is 01:37:59 at interviews online with him it's just sad man because a lot of these young these young brothers that are in this in this culture just hearing the way they talk it's like they're so desensitized to death. The way they mention they tell stories of their friends and their homeboys that are no longer here. It's like damn like every time you bring up a story of a good time you had, it's like, rest in peace him, or rest in peace this guy, rest in, and it's like, you know, something has to be done, I don't know what, I don't know how you begin to change, change this cycle, this, this trauma that we keep living in, but we have to do something, because on one hand,
Starting point is 01:38:44 I love the fact that these young dudes have found their voices and found their sound with the drill music and um found a way to entertain and make a living for themselves and their families but I don't want these dudes to be living their their lyrics like this mm-hmm like I don't want these dudes to keep dying to keep killing each other and keep yeah I would like them To live long enough To enjoy the fruits Of their labor
Starting point is 01:39:06 Yeah like I want to see These dudes grow old I want to see these dudes Become businessmen And venture out And do other things Like this dying at 26 In the street like that
Starting point is 01:39:15 These are children man Yeah this is This is crazy These are children still At 26 years old Yeah this is This isn't We not supposed to be
Starting point is 01:39:22 Seeing shit like this This isn't normal And I don't want people To try to normalize this, because it's not. This is not normal. We shouldn't be here talking about a young man, 26 years old, that just started tapping into his talent and getting ready to spread his wings and elevate his life to now being killed in the streets after a night of celebration because I believe they were celebrating the album release.
Starting point is 01:39:48 That and signing of a bunch of his friends had just gotten a deal as well. It was a celebratory night from what I saw and kind of to piggyback off what you were saying while I watched the interview with
Starting point is 01:40:04 King Von's manager and academics. And when I first saw the footage of the entire incident, when I watched, I was like, all right, man. He was just, he was, dude was fighting. Like, it could have just stayed to a fight so easily in that moment. It was a scuffle that could have ended as a scuffle. And I hate
Starting point is 01:40:33 that, and I mean I'm not just going to put it specific to this generation or anything like that, but I do wish that points could just get across with a fight. I'm never going to be this naive person that thinks that points could just get across with a fight. Like, I'm never going to be this naive person that thinks that we should just,
Starting point is 01:40:49 violence should end, because I'm just, I know human beings. Right. Gun violence, though, is a bit unnecessary in so many situations. It was a fight. And then when I watched this interview with King Von's manager of the situation and him saying that Von, with that situation, was so vocal about not doing anything gun-related and say, nah, I just want to prove a point with fighting. Nothing else and move on with my life. It's so easily avoided When you take your ego Out of shit
Starting point is 01:41:25 And just take an ass whooping Yeah but that's the thing You say that But men don't do that Yeah It's hard for men To remove their egos I'm not saying like it's easy
Starting point is 01:41:34 I just think No but you're pointing out What the issue is Yeah It's the ego thing Yeah but it's You know Again man
Starting point is 01:41:41 I guess I'm just getting older But I'm at that age Where I understand That words have power. And if we keep making these types of songs and this music to where it's promoting a certain lifestyle, then exactly how can we stop this cycle? You know what I mean? But, Maul, you enjoy that music with realer content. So speak to that confliction that exists there. I do, but that's what I just said.
Starting point is 01:42:04 I don't want them to live that like when you when you're making music and you got a deal a record deal and you're now putting out music and you're traveling you're touring and it's that to me you're out you know i mean so don't you don't still be living that is what i'm saying like you're out of that you can still paint that picture of what you came through and what you've been through and give us that but i don't want to see these dudes actively involved in beefs and shootouts and this type of because it's like y'all have talent this is a talent like this drill music whatever you want to call it however i want to categorize it it's all hip-hop to me but these are young dudes from a from a culture that have found their voices and found their sound and are painting these pictures for us that don't know what that lifestyle is about.
Starting point is 01:42:49 And we champion it when we hear it. But it's more so I champion it more so. So do we have a responsibility also in that? Anybody from the culture of hip hop has a responsibility to this. Anybody. Anybody that's from this hip hop culture, because the end of the day What's going to happen is They're going to start banning hip hop artists From these venues
Starting point is 01:43:07 It's not just drill artists They're going to start banning hip hop music From a lot of these venues And then that affects the entire culture But at the same time I champion it because I recognize These are a group of young men That found their sound
Starting point is 01:43:23 They found a sound to uplift their lives And uplift themselves and uplift the people around them and have a good time and enjoy themselves. But sometimes, as we know, things go left because of egos involved. Somebody said this online. Somebody said this in a record. I'm taking some responsibility from a consumer standpoint because this is the music that i champion right like because because we understand the conditions that some of us have to come up in and the immense amount of respect for the people i have that choose to live their life a certain way because you know i can identify with not valuing life the way i maybe should have at a certain time so it
Starting point is 01:44:05 brings you back there and you kind of root for them to get out mm-hmm but when you have these situations where like how pop smoke was murdered and listening to his music was then difficult for me because they married each other too closely it almost made me rethink my stance on industry plants. The guys who come in and just say a bunch of shit that they never did, get some money behind them and pop off. Well, if that's the safe way to do it,
Starting point is 01:44:33 then cool. But why can't our black acts get that industry plant pass? Like, why is it our young black entertainers have to be held to the standard of did he, did he do it? Was he really like that? Did he really roll like that? Is he it? Was he really like that? Did he really roll like that?
Starting point is 01:44:46 Is he real? Was his gang like that? Yeah. We never ask that of anyone else. Right. Like, it's disturbing. It's disturbing to me. And while this is an epidemic happening in Chicago, if that's the right word, if you're viewing it from a much broader sense, like, listen, we speak behind the scenes.
Starting point is 01:45:06 I told y'all how it felt going home after Nipsey was murdered. Like, when my household is in the disarray and I got a woman in the house that's talking to me about a bunch of woman-type shit, and I'm like, oh, you don't know. Like, I can't even be angry at you. You don't know the trauma
Starting point is 01:45:24 and the psychological damage it does to me you don't know that it's like a bullet went through me watching nipsey be murdered in cold blood in his own hood and then having to travel in these same circles in the industry like i know women like to make shit like touring and studio life glamorous but the reality of it is if you're a man and you're traveling in this space your your ptsd is at an all-time high we're traveling and taking bags from strangers landing in strangers cities we're in the care of strangers we link up with chicks that are essentially strangers like we just do a lot of shit that puts us in that predicament
Starting point is 01:46:10 yeah without question when we did that Texas run and we were all exhausted Houston was our last stop and I felt like none of us had slept we did Denver, three cities in Texas, and we're exhausted.
Starting point is 01:46:27 We'll stay long getting hype about Denver. Yeah, right. Relax over there. And I remember wanting to use that two hours of rest that we would have to try to catch a nap before we did meet and greets. Yeah. And our security at the time knew J Prince's brother and was like, yo, you want to come meet? And I was like, of course.
Starting point is 01:46:48 Just off that paranoia of safety all the time to check in with certain people in certain cities when you're on tour. Even if you're only in there for a few hours, like, oh, I plan on going out tonight. I got to check in with the right people because I've seen what happens when you don't. checking with the right people because i've seen what happens when you don't yeah i was talking about the amount of video shoots that i've been at and been a part of where it was on another nigga's block and then the hood came out like yo who said you can be here like yeah who are you in these cameras like who did you speak to yeah no that's that's authorized yeah that's i mean i can understand that i can understand you know those type of things but i you know just the way that this happened to me you know and i never met i never met vaughn and but and i but i wanted to meet him right but that's another reason this is so disappointing to me and when i say that
Starting point is 01:47:36 is because i'm from the hood you know i'm saying who didn't know the young dude that was on his way like how many times have we seen the story as soon as the young dude from the hood is on his way he makes it and he's about to crack that ceiling something tragic happens you know i'm saying like we see it all the time and it's like a reoccurring thing but i only feel like it's in our culture though and to me that's the issue it's like why does this keep happening in our culture like why do we keep seeing this why does this feel normal because even now it's like it's almost like a this't going to be the last time we see this. Not at all. You understand what I'm saying?
Starting point is 01:48:09 So why does it feel normal? And that's the issue I have. And I don't know what I can do to change it or to help. It feels normal because when niggas play like that, it's normal. Like, the ratio of successful niggas... It's not normal to bury your friends, man. This shit is not a normal thing. The ratio of niggas to successfully make it out of the streets
Starting point is 01:48:32 would be low. It feels normal because we've experienced this quite a bit. It hurts even more because you know... How old was Stack when he died? Exactly. Fucking... 24? 24? Yeah, 24, I think. 24, 25.
Starting point is 01:48:47 He was young. But when I had that talk with Stack, rest in peace, Stack, squad up. Y'all know the vibes. Far Rock, you know what's good. Listen, when I had that talk with Stack back then, yo, man, you got to get out of there. It's one way in, it's one way out. You can help the hood without actually being there.
Starting point is 01:49:06 He made me sound like an idiot. Like, what the fuck is you talking about? I'm leaving my hood and helping him. No, I came up there. My niggas is there. We rocking. I don't want to rock if I'm not rocking with them. That be the vibes.
Starting point is 01:49:19 I get that when I see King Von, the video of him making $100,000, coming back, divvying it up between his squad. I get that when I see King Von the video of him making a hundred thousand dollars coming back divvying it up between his squad like I get that when I see O Block uh getting together and mourning uh loss of King Von like I I get I get those things like I get it it hurts for me because when you look at these people's trajectory right like now King Von is gone and the legacy is what? Acclaimed street nigga that did what he had to do for a little bit and then got murdered. But in 10 to 15 years, King Von would have employed maybe over 200 people. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:49:59 Taking care of over 50 families. Like been in a position to really make an impact in the grand scheme of things in Chicago. Yeah. The same way listen for me it's personal because when niggas almost blew my brains out like if if the Joe Button story stops there it's not a good one no no hey and and 23 year old make 24 year old made pump it up made a little bit of noise, hung out in the hood, got murdered, it's over. Fuck it. He was depressed, he did drugs, he robbed a few niggas,
Starting point is 01:50:29 he had a record, he wasn't a clean kid and he's gone now. Like, it wouldn't have got into, he's an owner of a network. It wouldn't have got into the state. But not even that.
Starting point is 01:50:37 That's what I'm saying. Now we see, because fortunately, that did not happen and now we see the story of you surviving that and the things that changed. Because how old were you when that happened? 23, 4, 5, somewhere around there.
Starting point is 01:50:52 Yeah, 15 years at minimum, we've seen what you've done, having survived that early 20s of your life and how much you've changed people's lives. and how much you've changed people's lives. And it's unfortunate when you see these things, from Nipsey to Pop Smoke to him, like, what could have been in 15 years had these people been able to stay here? What they could have done is what, like, really depresses me with these situations. Like, it gets me almost scared
Starting point is 01:51:20 to enjoy one of these newer dudes. Well, that's what it was for me. That's exactly what happened with me. Like I said, in listening to his album, you know, I heard it. I was like, oh. And then especially when I found out he only really started rapping two years ago.
Starting point is 01:51:37 So I was like, well, damn, okay. He has an ear. He has a sound. He has a story he has a story it made me appreciate little baby a lot more than i already do and he's one of the newer acts that i have all the respect in the world for because he is a beast but i see but this is i see a lot of i see a lot of similarities with king vaughn and little baby well no that's why i brought brought him up yeah because i've heard stories about little Baby that shall go unsaid.
Starting point is 01:52:06 Mm-hmm. How he's conducted his business since he got his shot seems to be all business, even if it's not. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Yeah, it's just tragic, man. Like, you won't hear Lil Baby beefing with his soul publicly. No, no, no, no, no. You won't see him retaliating publicly.
Starting point is 01:52:25 Like, you're just not going to see some of these things and it disturbs me that we feel like once we get in like we still have to be who we used to be well i guess the catch-22 there and the point you guys are making with the music and the energy that you're putting out there with the music is that the authenticity of music is what gets people to love artists. And I don't even mean that in whether it be a violent way. Anything music, authenticity, people just are attracted to it. So that's where I think the Catch-22 is there because why Vaughn was so successful and why people really fuck with him was because you felt the authenticity in everything that he said.
Starting point is 01:53:12 Not only whether it been violent, like he's a good storyteller, too. Like you just felt the authenticity when he was on any song. on any song so that's where i guess it's how do you do that as an artist if you come from this environment and you really are part of that life more or less yeah not be not be authentic in your music there are ways i'm asking a question i don't have an answer here there's been a lot of artists i mean i think to like uh cream for example a wu-Tang song, not to be an old head, but it was talking about that life but not necessarily glamorizing it. There are ways to kind of,
Starting point is 01:53:51 maybe not abandon it. You can still talk about it without glamorizing it. I'm not saying that's the reason why he passed. Maybe because I'm a little older now and can hear a Vaughn song and realize that he's not really glamorizing it.
Starting point is 01:54:07 To a younger person. It don't sound so glamorous when you listen to that album. That's what I'm saying. I don't take what he's saying. But again, this could be someone that's older. Had I been 21 when I heard that, maybe I could think he was glamorizing. But you're listening to lyrics and tell he ain't faking. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:54:21 And I don't think he's glamorizing it. It's not so much glamorizing it's just a it's just the honest point of view it's just the honest story and you take from it what you will this is this is their reality but that's what i'm saying i just think that we got to do better as a culture of you know finding a way to tell me about how we can do better a war is coming more yeah and i probably shouldn't even say that on a podcast but i mean it's the elephant in the room but this is what i'm saying so it's it's the elder statesman are we supposed to ignore this no i'm just saying that we do know war is
Starting point is 01:54:56 coming what can i do as an elder statesman to stop it but if you look at the way things are handled and the way things are usually rectified it's it comes from the from the older the elders have to step in and and sit down and sit there they only step in before someone's murdered i understand that but even okay so how do you step in after someone's been murdered it's a cycle so at some point regardless you have to stop the cycle you understand i'm saying like you have to at some point the older the elder statesman have to step in and say yo listen what's going on here this this is not what this is about this is not what this culture is about this is not what y'all have a real opportunity to make a lot of money and to provide for your families and your friends and to really like change change lives
Starting point is 01:55:39 we can't keep putting somebody in the grave before, you know, these are young men. 25, 26 is your... Like their ascension, too. Yeah, this is craziness. And I don't understand why there's not a bigger, like, a louder voice or somebody that's not really like... And I'm not saying there's people that's not. But I'm just saying I feel like this needs to be, everyone in the hip hop culture needs to be sitting down
Starting point is 01:56:07 addressing this issue. Like you can't expect for people to stream your music from other, you know, older artists and from these cities
Starting point is 01:56:15 like fuck all that. Help these young kids out that's going through this war. I saw a few of the older acts in past weeks come out and say that it is cool to live.
Starting point is 01:56:25 It is. It's the coolest shit it is cool to live. It is. It's the coolest shit in the world to live. But at the same time, just saying that is not enough. We have to do something. Something has to... Because this is... Bro, this is craziness.
Starting point is 01:56:37 This is absolute craziness that we keep seeing these young men die like this on the internet and on our phones. This is crazy. Bad enough that we continue to see videos of our young kings being murdered. I woke up this morning to autopsy photos being leaked to the timeline. I didn't see that. Me either.
Starting point is 01:56:59 I'm very glad I didn't. I don't want to see that. Whoever leaked that shit is sick, and fuck you. Yeah. A war is coming, and it's gonna be sick the least of our concerns should be the autopsy pics leaking what's leaking in the next few months the same way we said Trump
Starting point is 01:57:14 got some shit coming in the next two months like what is happening in 2021 it's gearing up to look like a nutso year like y'all thought 2020 was sick. Yeah, I'm frightened. I'm frightened by it all. I am, man.
Starting point is 01:57:31 And these niggas have children. Multiple children. When I was in my bed with COVID, having difficulty breathing, scared to go to sleep because I wasn't certain that I would wake up. The first thing that came to my mind was my children. difficulty breathing, scared to go to sleep because I wasn't certain that I would wake up. The first thing that came to my mind was my children. Like, oh, fuck, man. I'm not trying to leave my kids just yet. They need me still. When my oldest called me to check on me, it reminded me I was an old nigga, but what it said was, oh, shit, my kids love me. Oh, look at you. I have to be here i have to i have to i have to do my part to actually be here yeah for you and i don't think that feeling escapes street
Starting point is 01:58:11 niggas i don't i think niggas do what they have to do hoping to make it home to their kids at night so when you think so when you don't do that and your kids are so young and precious and fragile. Listen, man, my prayers and condolences to not only his family and friends, but all of his fans, all of Chicago, all of the black men out there that suffer having to watch these videos continuously. Like, it's tough. It's tough. It is. Yeah. Rest in peace. And we're trying to find the names of the other two uh gentlemen that that were murdered as well um rest in peace to mark blakely um if we can find the other name apologies on that but but rest in peace to everybody that that was killed in that incident um prayers prayers to dirk i know i know dirk has
Starting point is 01:59:06 has had a rough year yeah um so my prayers are certainly with him i smile when i see dirk i smile when i see g herbo i smile when i see fabio there's a few of these niggas out here that i smile when i see them because i just get it. I get it. Like, Dirk looks like somebody that's lived a little bit and wants to live a little longer. He looks that way to me. G Herbo looks that way to me. And all the family, Pigs Fab and all that shit. I appreciate that aspect of it.
Starting point is 01:59:41 I don't care how big you are with your music. I love you more than I love your music. All of you. All of you. Yeah, living is cool, man your music. All of you. All of you. Yeah, living is cool, man. Yeah. Getting old is cool, for sure. Yeah, tell me about it.
Starting point is 01:59:57 Well, prayers to Davon Bennett and his family. Absolutely. You know what I mean? Prayers for his children. Timothy Leakes, 22 years old, charged and arrested with the murder of King Vaughn. 22 years old. A child. Mm-hmm. And that's what I'm saying.
Starting point is 02:00:14 This is sick all around. His life is lost because he'll probably be in prison for the rest of his life. Right. So it's like, for what? What is all this for?
Starting point is 02:00:23 What is all this about? Scream, man. Pull up what pull up what ti had to say about this because i do think it's important that it's mentioned uh ti came out and and did an instagram post it said atlanta is a beautiful progressive city filled with black excellence we uplift each other and win together. Stop coming here to kill each other. That shit is played out. Signed, Management. And apparently he caught a lot of backlash. His caption said, handle your beefs in your city.
Starting point is 02:00:55 Yeah. Handle your beefs, your in caps, in your city. I know it's T.I. and we love T.I. But this was distasteful to me. I thought so as well, I love TI but this was distasteful to me. I thought so as well I'll be honest. Very distasteful. I don't see what the point of saying that at that time is going to help anything.
Starting point is 02:01:16 Yeah even if it's right. Even when you're right timing is not I didn't like the response to the backlash either I'll be honest and tip is my guy but his response was I don't speak ill of my allies my last post had nothing to do with King Von y'all grossly mistaken I have no motive or intention to do harm or malice to cats I'm cool with my family's hearts goes out to them and I've expressed this to the people in his life that matter most in this situation.
Starting point is 02:01:45 That's all I am concerned with. His caption says, but I know IG ain't the place for understanding, and miserable people love to keep up shit, so be easy. No, T.I., you're just wrong here. Yeah, I fuck with Tip, too, but you can't make a statement like that and say you're not speaking on that. That's the most current situation that happened. It was a day or two days after the situation happened. Tip, I love you. You're one of my favorite rappers, but that was wrong.
Starting point is 02:02:12 Fuck rapping. He's one of our favorite human beings. That's why this threw me off the tune. That was out of line. But you can't say this when there's Atlanta niggas that have been involved. Yeah. This is exactly the situation that you're that have been involved. Yeah. Like this is exactly the situation that you're talking about, T.I.
Starting point is 02:02:27 And even if it's not, the timing of it makes it appear that way. So you bright enough to understand that that's how people are feeling when you see this. Pull up 50's reply for me, please. I didn't catch the 50 reply. It was a very 50 cent reply
Starting point is 02:02:46 oh man 50 cent 50 cent replies it's up it's up towards the top sir after the ti uh after the ti response uh and 50 says ati you gotta. You're bugging for saying anything. They got casualties. This is real shit. I don't know what you was thinking, but rethink it now. They are hurting. They love that boy. He was a way out. I bet you don't even realize they will kill you for what you just said. What hood are you from again? Come on now. It's quiet time. What hood are you from again? Come on now.
Starting point is 02:03:24 It's quiet time. And some of us subscribe to what quiet time means. I was going to say, I think the last sentence is the most important. I don't need to expound on that. No, no, no. All of it is important because it's all saying the same thing. Just the last sentence when you take out all the 50-ness of shit. Come on now. It's time to be quiet.
Starting point is 02:03:44 Yeah, but the sentence right before it says he doesn't even realize that they'll kill you for what you said. He's telling you why it should be quiet time right this second.
Starting point is 02:03:54 The streets are active right now. It ain't for social media commentary. It ain't for theatrics. It's not a time to be performative. And that's what the internet makes a lot of people do. Cling on to a time to be performative and that's what the internet makes a lot of people do cling on to a topic and get performative sometimes it's not time for that yeah i would
Starting point is 02:04:12 hate to be the family member of someone that has been murdered and the video was leaked online and i have to just constantly see these people with their thoughts on things. I'm not trying to be funny toward T.I. Again, that's my guy. But that would hurt me. It would disturb me, and it would elongate my traumas, is what it would do. I wouldn't want to see that. I wouldn't.
Starting point is 02:04:34 Since he's passed, there's been all types of stories released. I'm waiting for when he's going to get a chance to rest in peace. Some people may say he doesn't deserve to rest in peace. I'm not one of those people that subscribe to being insensitive when people are taken from us that's not who i am uh he has all types of his friends was robbing on a left and went to steal shit out his crib which uh his his
Starting point is 02:04:58 manager uh in that interview as well deaded all all that. It was like, nobody robbed anything from King Von. His friends were not his friends. They were his family, his brothers. He would have died for them. Two of his friends died for him. That's the type of crew that they came from. I thought that was offensive.
Starting point is 02:05:18 A young lady, a young lady that wasn't there when all of this transpired, attempted to let us know his last words allegedly over the internet why? she
Starting point is 02:05:32 apparently had had dealings with King Von in the past year or whatever had said she went to her spiritual advisor and cool I uh i've been around people that i get i get readings done too i get it i i've my mom has done it i've had my aunt has done it a lot of my family has done the spiritual let me try to talk i understand people
Starting point is 02:05:58 mourning that way i totally get it sure but to then take the information from a spiritual advisor, whoever the fuck it is, we don't know their background. We don't know nothing at all. To then go on the internet and give information about his last words against his own friends that are grieving him and two of their other friends is irresponsible to me. But you got to keep in mind with all of this. These are young people that are young and mourning. And yet are young and mourning and yet are young and in mourning and you know when you have that part when you have a phone in your hand you have access to the world and the internet it's hard to tell people what to do and what not to do and i understand you know i mean we've all we've all had to bury friends and loved ones and mourn and you know it's just to me it's just more importantly all of this aside more importantly
Starting point is 02:06:46 is what do we do from here you know i mean and like i said the elder statesmen in hip-hop like some we had they we we have to do something as a culture as hip-hop as as just black men we have to do something about this because this is a huge problem. And we can't keep just letting weeks go by and we forget about it and back to regular life. And, you know, acting like this didn't happen and this is not something that's still going on because this is a real issue. And we have to do something like this. We can't normalize this. We can't act like this is just another day because this is not this shouldn't be our reality. Because a lot of people that are living and walking around, they don't even experience shit like this.
Starting point is 02:07:35 Yeah. This is not their reality at all. So it shouldn't be ours. Yeah. I agree. Well, yeah. Again, prayers to everybody involved on every side. Dirk, especially my prayers. I know you've had a rough year, man.
Starting point is 02:07:55 Yeah, I'm praying for all the Chicago dudes, man. I'm praying for Oblock. I'm praying for his family, friends, loved ones, fans, people that he supported, took care of, people that relied on him. And I read that he owned his master, so his family does get his royalties. Yeah. Hopefully that's true. Thank God. Hopefully that's true.
Starting point is 02:08:16 And if so, he's with Empire. He's with Empire. He's with Empire, so that should be true. It's true. It's definitely true. And I'm sure whatever he took to recoup is not much. And his manager was saying they had nine or ten videos in the tuck done already. Got a bunch of music.
Starting point is 02:08:35 So despite of a very tragic situation, at least there is some light knowing that there will still be some income going to his kids and to his family. This is what Van Jones should be crying about on CNN. Shut up, Mo. No, I'm dead serious. What's the type of shit he should be crying about? Who's got Band going against? What'd you say? Who's Gab Band going against?
Starting point is 02:09:11 Before we get into that, rest in peace Alex Trebek as well. Yes. Huge part of a lot of our childhoods, a lot of our upbringing. Boy, did he go out with grace and dignity. Past upbringing My whole life We still Like literally
Starting point is 02:09:27 I would still watch Jeopardy as an adult That used to be our shit Like when we hang out Me and Gift And Ram and everybody On weekends We're making music
Starting point is 02:09:34 I put Jeopardy on In the background Just cause it's like I don't know It's a random thing To put on in the background I didn't have cable For mad long
Starting point is 02:09:40 So I would just You'd get the The channels you get And it would be Jeopardy Right Right It was my TV show Yeah So I would just You'd get the The channels you get And it would be Jeopardy Right Right It was my TV show Yeah
Starting point is 02:09:48 Yeah Call you back But uh Yeah rest in peace Alex Trebek Prayers to his family I did think he was He was doing well I mean I know he's been
Starting point is 02:10:02 Battling cancer for For quite some time Fuck cancer Fuck cancer. Fuck cancer. Rest in peace, Alex. Alex Trebek, we love you. We miss you, man. There's somebody else that passed away as well. There's an actor that died. There's an actor that died.
Starting point is 02:10:18 Oh, don't make me find it myself. Hey. Did we record? Hey. Oh, my. Wait a fucking? Hey. Sean Connery. Oh my, wait a fucking second.
Starting point is 02:10:29 Wait a goddamn minute. Fucking Sean Connery, man. That's not who I was talking about, but that hurt when you said it. Let me find who I was speaking about
Starting point is 02:10:41 because that is real. Joe. Yes. Burt Belasco. That is who I'm speaking about? Because that is real. Yes. Burt Belasco. That is who I'm speaking about. Burt Belasco. Let's stay together and pitch actor dies at 38. And though I wasn't so
Starting point is 02:10:57 familiar with him, when their age is posted there, it pauses me as well. 38 years old? Like, come on man come on 2020 enough already that's how i feel rest in peace bishop lance allen too one of the greatest gospel voices we had rest in peace So I'm still here Girl, you know, you know, you know, you know me Girl, you know, you know, you know, you know me I'm still here
Starting point is 02:11:38 I'm still here Rest in peace, King Von Alex Trebek, Bird Belasco, Sean Connery Juice WRLD, Nipsey Triple X Big Pac, all our hip hop grace and legends We appreciate you, we love you We're here to celebrate your life
Starting point is 02:12:02 The impact that you made The people that you inspired. Big Winning Houston. What happened? Big Winning Houston, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Oh yeah. Yes sir! Biggie Smalls Rock and Roll Hall of Fame
Starting point is 02:12:40 Congratulations to that great Yep Congratulations to that king His entire family Rest in peace of course Yes sir This might be a stupid question How do you gentlemen feel about this?
Starting point is 02:12:52 About big Getting into the rock and roll Yes sir Belongs there Yeah I was about to say Belongs there Whitney too Whitney too
Starting point is 02:12:59 But did he make rock? I mean He may roll I don't know if he made, he may roll. I don't know if he may rock. He may roll. Yeah, not a bad shot.
Starting point is 02:13:11 I mean, that's the name of that Hall of Fame. Everyone in there is not a rock and roll artist at all. At all. I mean, I guess Run DMC
Starting point is 02:13:18 kind of made rock and roll music. Is Kendrick in there? No, yeah, I think you, I saw something that he wanted to point and surprise. He's got a Pulitzer.
Starting point is 02:13:26 Don't matter. He's got a Pulitzer. He's cool. It's coming. That's a big deal. If you put somebody in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in the middle of their career, that's kind of crazy. What do you guys think about Aubrey saying that Certified Lover Boy will be up against Views Backlash?
Starting point is 02:13:45 How do you feel about it? It's the spear be up against Views Backlash. How do you feel about it? It's the spearhead of the Views Backlash. Yeah, you definitely started that. I was definitely wrong. I thought I'd come in here a few times and said that I was wrong about Views. I was listening to Cohesion of the album and lyrical content on the project,
Starting point is 02:14:03 and I said he sounded uninspired um and though i had a really valid argument there was a lot of great music on that album now i understand some of you will say that i'm just saying this because i want to squash it with drink i get that but views i i went back and revisited a few years later and felt really dumb for killing it the way that I did, and I haven't taken Adderall since that time. So with that, I expect to appreciate what he's about to deliver a little more now
Starting point is 02:14:38 that he got that out the way. Now, Views aged extremely well. Views is a good album. I shouldn't have stepped on it that way. No, let's remember, we were living in the moment. I should have, because it blew our podcast up.
Starting point is 02:14:49 So, I mean... Fair. Thanks, Drake. I think... No, I just think we were not ready for people that love Drake from, like, comeback season. We weren't ready for complete crossover,
Starting point is 02:15:01 polished, polished, polished pop Drake. Granted, it's not all that, but it was the most polished Drake album we had got. Coming From Nothing was the same That was my only bad review of that album. We're not bad review. I wish there was more of the pop stuff on it. I like the pop songs on that album. I know, I like the pop songs
Starting point is 02:15:19 on there, but there's like 30 songs on it. We were all wrong. Views aged amazingly. It's a good album. It's a front to back phenomenal album. So yeah, when he said that, I assumed that the certified Loverboy one is going to be more polished. Maybe. And one of those albums that it's so perfect, you almost don't like it.
Starting point is 02:15:44 Maybe. Either way. That makes sense. I know that made sense to some people that are listening. Like, an album that's a little too perfect. No, y'all just was, y'all just was, you know what it is with Drake? He's fighting his, the bar that he sets. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:15:59 So people are waiting to say, aha, he slipped. He made a whack project. He hasn't yet. and i think that's what this was this was the one that people just wanted to point out and say this album is trash he's human you know i'm saying like he can make mistakes too he can make bad songs too and i just think that's what it was but as far as the certified level boy i think he's probably experimenting with a new Drake. Maybe.
Starting point is 02:16:26 And people might not understand it at first and might not get it at first. He does that a lot. Yeah. So I think that's just probably what it is. It's going to be music on there. But we're like, I wasn't expecting this from him. But is it bad music? No.
Starting point is 02:16:39 I've liked most of the newer material that we've heard, whether they were official leaks or unofficial leaks. With the exception of Tootsie Slide. I don't know if I need to hear 18 Tootsie Slides. Right. Well, I'll say I don't particularly care if it's bad. He's at coach status for me. For sure. He's allowed to get a dud off. I don't think it's gonna
Starting point is 02:16:59 be a dud, but he's there now. It's okay. People still cling to that drake has no classics and i would argue that drake has all classics but that's just me this geography is untouchable i'm saying that drake has no class that's been an internet argument for none that's that's been a very popular uh twitter debate uh the young money page tweeted that the next time nicki minaj drake and lil wayne hit the stage together it'll be for the first time with all of them being parents.
Starting point is 02:17:27 Oh, well. Which tells me maybe there's something in the works with the three of them hitting the stage again. I would hope so. Well, I would hope it would be the studio first because we might not see a stage for some time. Well, speaking of Drake having no classics, because Rory is such a huge Aubrey fan. I am. He skipped over
Starting point is 02:17:48 the mac and cheese that is not classic as well. We never discussed Drake putting raisins in his mac and cheese. I'm sorry? Even as a Drake stan, I miss that he put raisins
Starting point is 02:18:02 in his mac and cheese. Now I'm kind of, I kind of want to take back everything I just said. Wait, is this like a real thing or is this a rumor? No, this really happened. I was wondering why we didn't cover this. Drake puts raisins in his mac and cheese? A few weeks ago, Drake was having a birthday party.
Starting point is 02:18:19 Uh-huh. Happy birthday. And he was Insta-snapping. Uh-huh. Happy birthday. And he was Insta-snapping. Uh-huh. And a few of the invitees Instagrammed the mac and cheese. And to our, unbeknownst to us, there were raisins in it. And the internet killed Drake for the next three days. And we've never heard. Deservedly so.
Starting point is 02:18:39 I'm about to kill him for the next three days. I didn't know about this. Yeah, honestly, he puts raisins in there. So then we were wondering what level of trillionaire do you need to be at to put raisins in your mac and cheese? Okay, hold on.
Starting point is 02:18:51 We have the menu here. Parsley, my guy? The secondary dish. No, parsley is just a garnish. In mac and cheese, knock it off. Knock it off. It's just a garnish.
Starting point is 02:18:59 That's okay. You throw it for the picture. to make it look cool. I get it. Sun-dried tomato caper? Yeah. In the mac and cheese? Raisin?
Starting point is 02:19:08 I can't read. I thought that said copper. Whatever it says. This is not how you make mac and cheese. Copper capers, perhaps? I don't care that you made hotline. Capers kind of taste like copper. I don't care that you made one dance.
Starting point is 02:19:18 You cannot put raisins in mac and cheese. No, no, no. Have you ever had mac and cheese at Sam Hortons? No, no, no. I don't think it was in the mac and cheese. I think it was served. Aside? Yeah, because I'm looking at the rest of the menu,
Starting point is 02:19:27 like the steak fries. Yo, niggas will find a way to cape. No, look at it, though. You just, I mean. More doesn't matter. Who asked for raisins with their mac and cheese? A bowl of raisins on the side. No, listen.
Starting point is 02:19:39 Look at the grilled cauliflower. It's the same side. It's so they didn't make it the same way. Dried tomato. It's the same. It's just like the garnish for the plate. That's all it is. It's so they didn't make it the same way. Dried tomato. It's the same. It's just like the garnish for the plate. That's all it is.
Starting point is 02:19:49 I didn't know he didn't have mac and cheese. Either way, don't put raisins anywhere near my mac and cheese. No, I'm with you on that. Raisins only belong in cereal. Don't even have them in the restaurant. I'm with you on that. And muffins, maybe. I'm with you on that. But if he was eating hot raisins, yeah, we was going to have a problem.
Starting point is 02:20:02 I might have to. So you cool with raisins as a dressing on your mac and cheese plate is that what you're saying no no no as long as it's not i just think it was like on the plate it was like and you're fine with that i mean i wouldn't i'm asking you if you're fine with that i understand how they garnish plates you come to my cookout i give you raisins on the mac and cheese plate because you're not gonna say joe what the fuck is going on you are it's kind of like i hate more no just listen this is like rich people shit it's kind of like a little salad on the side of the plate a raisin salad no people put raisins in this absolutely so that's what i'm saying this is kind of just a plate dress up
Starting point is 02:20:38 mac and cheese it's not because it's not inside the cauliflower and it's the same exact shit and what about raisins says rich no just the way they garnish the plates yo you know this nigga's rich I never even heard of chicken bolognese
Starting point is 02:20:51 you've seen a lot of garnishing in your life I'm sure who's ever you think raisins has ever been a garnish who's bolognese chicken bolognese
Starting point is 02:20:59 bolognese knees yeah for chicken no I thought I thought y'all had pictures of raisins in some mac and cheese. Look like roaches. Yeah, I was about to say, nah.
Starting point is 02:21:10 Nah, how did I miss that? But no, this is probably just- This looks fake in general. This doesn't look like a rich person's birthday dinner menu. No, this is just a plate garnishment. I had this at my 21st birthday. You're not eating hot raisins, man. With cheese.
Starting point is 02:21:24 With cheese, no. Drake, if you're listening to this, raisins anywhere near your mac and cheese is unacceptable. Don't make me make Wake Part 2. All about raisins. Had I known that Drake eats raisins in his mac and cheese, my disses would have hit. That's what would have got you over.
Starting point is 02:21:47 That was his aside in fact. Nigga, you put raisins in your mac and cheese. You wouldn't even have to do the 17th disc. Just wrap it up in one. Man, there's raisins in your mac and cheese. We're not the same. I can't believe that's fly with y'all, but fuck it. No, it's not.
Starting point is 02:22:02 What else is going on that's important? That is important. Let's see. I've never heard of poppy seed dressing uh spotify hints at subscription podcast services spotify is still alive you mean the conglomerate didn't die when we left i think they did that's why rogan went to Live. They're starting their payola as well. They'll put you on a chart if you give them a slice of the .00037 cents. They'll put you up there? For a cut.
Starting point is 02:22:33 That's paying to get you. They want a cut of the cut. Of the cut. Of the cut. Let's see. How many times are they going to cut my record? How many times are they going to order to get cut? God damn. Spotify appears to be interested in launching a subscription podcast service that would offer access to original shows or exclusive podcasts for a monthly fee, which is a great idea, by the way. Sure. The potential service was described in a survey sent out through Spotify's app, which was reported on by Andrew Wallenstein.
Starting point is 02:23:04 Shout out to Andrew, president of Variety's intelligence platform. The survey describes at least four possible subscription podcast plans, ranging from $3 to $8 per month. The cheapest plan would include access to exclusive interviews and episodes, but would still include ads. The most expensive plan would include access to high quality, original content, early access to some episodes and no platform inserted ads.
Starting point is 02:23:34 None of these plans would include access to Spotify's premium music, music subscription. I can see why their stock is plummeting. And I don't want to be the guy to just keep talking about his ex, but boy, have they just been on a streak of doing a bunch of stupid shit ever since we left. And I love when that happens. Wait, they also spent 200. You feel better about the breakup when you see her out there like, oh, you doing that now?
Starting point is 02:23:59 Yeah, yeah, yeah. I'm glad I got away from that. They also spent 235 million on one of these ad companies. Can you find that one for me? I'm in all the Spotify business. We'll get to Wondery in a minute. Don't worry about it. We'll get to our, this is our podcast business breakdown review.
Starting point is 02:24:16 We're not going to break down and review. No watch, right? Megaphone, there it is. Spotify to buy podcast ad company Megaphone for $235 million. Oh that's why we didn't get the $235 million. So they're buying ad companies. They're inserting ads.
Starting point is 02:24:35 They're stealing the money from the podcast creators. And they're doing some coding trick to play music on the podcast. And no one's getting paid for a thing. Awesome. It's a good look.
Starting point is 02:24:52 Awesome. Do it for the look. Awesome, man. What you guys are giving away to be a part of certain infrastructures. Glad it's not me. I won't hate on any of you. Do what you must. But boy, is that corny, and we need to
Starting point is 02:25:05 get that cancerous company out of our culture. All right. What do you want me to say? OLS 5. What should I say? I guess you said it, bro. Playlists aren't enough. Real shit. Ooh.
Starting point is 02:25:25 The fuck out of here. All right, on to some more this aren't enough. Real shit. Ooh. Yeah. The fuck out of here. All right, on to some more scandally podcast business. Yeah. Wondery CEO, and this is from
Starting point is 02:25:34 Los Angeles Times, let me give credit, Wondery CEO who built a podcasting powerhouse vows to fight federal corruption charges. Okay.
Starting point is 02:25:45 Fight your fight, King. He thinks dead people are voting too? Probably. Give us a little backstory here. You're a good reader. When former TV executive Hernan Lopez heard the gripping true crime podcast, I read that part, you believe me?
Starting point is 02:26:01 Serial fell off. Serial fell off. Four years after its launch, Wondery had grown into one of the nation's largest podcast publishers, drawing acclaim for producing compelling audio programs based on real life stories. I don't care. Now the West Hollywood business is at a crossroads as it explores a possible sale during a period of rapid consolidation in the podcasting industry.
Starting point is 02:26:24 I hate that white people could do some fuck shit and sell but not really sell they could test the water they kick me out the whole company when i start wilding and i don't even wow like this lopez also is facing a legal battle that has clouded his own future at the company he founded he is he is among two former fox tv executives charged with money laundering and wire fraud over alleged bribes involving broadcasting rights to the World Cup and other high-profile soccer tournaments. It was payola for the soccer games? For the World Cup? For the World Cup?
Starting point is 02:26:58 Are you kidding me? Lopez has pleaded not guilty to the charges filed in March. He got money, money. He's going to be the filed in March. He got money, money. He's going to be the new serial podcast. He going to jail jail. For the World Cup. Oh, it's the wire fraud for me. Like, God damn it.
Starting point is 02:27:17 You've been in chitty chat house way too much. Now that you're using that phrase. It is. Fuck you want me to do? You going to help your man out? That's not my man. Roy, you just like to detour me from my thought and just say nothing. Shut the fuck up.
Starting point is 02:27:34 How about that? Are you okay? It was a little chitty chatty joke. I had a whole run of important points I was about to make. Well, I mean, if you're laughing. Yeah, and here he comes with a joke. He can't even follow up one. You'll never be Bill Burr.
Starting point is 02:27:47 You seem to be lashing out. It feels like a personal issue that has nothing to do with me that you're just projecting to the rest of us. Tell me more. I don't like the narrative that you're painting about me.
Starting point is 02:27:56 I don't. I won't allow you to do it anymore. You were in the middle of reading something. It's over. It's over now. Now it's Optimum Man. What the fuck you want me to do?
Starting point is 02:28:05 This more important podcast business, I think. Let's over. It's over now. Now it's Optimum Man. What the fuck you want me to do? There's more important podcast business, I think. Let's see. Oh, no. More business. Supreme sold to VF. Supreme, the clothing company, sold to VF, the parent company of Vans and Timberland for $2.1 billion. And I announced all of that before Scream Man even uploaded the fucking headline. Way to go, Scream Man.
Starting point is 02:28:32 You're doing great. I mean, you know, I'm on a little PC of that. Mo, you took it to the finish line? I mean, I had to push it. You drove it home? I had to push it over the top for him. It gave him the point, right? Supreme Toothpaste.
Starting point is 02:28:42 The toothpaste did it. He's a fucking clown. It was the toothpaste. Come on, as soon as I did that toothpaste. The toothpaste did it. He's a fucking clown. It was the toothpaste. Come on, as soon as I did that, it's no coinkydink. You a clown. How you a,
Starting point is 02:28:50 why you a clown like that though? Why you mad though? I'm mad because you got Supreme. You see it, right? Look how niggas go to you. Why you mad? And then Joe had a reason
Starting point is 02:28:58 why he was mad. Yeah, I was about to explain it. Well. More that Supreme toothpaste and I can still smell halitosis cut it out see look look at you always trying to look you always why are you always trying to so you don't have halitosis that's that's a stomach you've never had halitosis no you know
Starting point is 02:29:14 what halitosis is no it's coming from like like a like a dead tooth in your mouth like yes yes you've never had that fuck no nigga all your teeth just been alive your whole life i tried to keep them that way yes absolutely and by the way who the fuck you think you're talking to like that's something you can really control or halitosis dead teeth see that's why you can brush your teeth you can't control dead teeth and that's why it's good you can't control if your teeth die even if you what are you saying right now use mouthwash and brush your fucking teeth even people that brush their teeth can still get that. This is why it's good that Rory didn't hang out with us in 2010 when we had like a two-year secret society meeting about how to tell one of our friends that there was a foul odor coming from his mouth.
Starting point is 02:29:58 Oh, man. Yeah. Because that nigga was saying all the H words in our face. Yo, we was conspiring. Like, yo, does he know? How did you let him know? We didn't. Just kept talking to him.
Starting point is 02:30:12 Who was it? Look at Rory. Look, look. Who was it? It wasn't me. You know. You know. Don't worry about it.
Starting point is 02:30:20 It wasn't me. It was bad. And the way that nigga was. Still might be. No, it's cool now. But the way that nigga was living life back then, he looked like a nigga with halitosis. Oh, man.
Starting point is 02:30:33 Y'all ain't shit, man. You ever go into the room after your man finished beating something down and just sniff? Oh, yeah. Absolutely. I've had mad roommates. You don't know if it was... You don't know if it's him or her smelling like that? Oh, man. Yeah, yeah. That was them. This is us. Yeah, that. Absolutely. I've had mad roommates. You don't know if it was him or her smelling like that?
Starting point is 02:30:45 Oh, man. Yeah, yeah. That was them. This is us. Yeah, that was them. Yeah, man. I used to have halitosis. Like, it's a common thing.
Starting point is 02:30:55 I don't know why you act like everything that's common. It's not a common thing to have halitosis. What are you talking about? 16, running to the dentist, getting, hey, my insurance covers this one back here. I was on my mom's insurance. What the hell is one back here. That was on my mom's insurance. What the hell is he talking about? That was my mom's insurance. Oh, privilege.
Starting point is 02:31:08 Your mom had insurance. That's why you're Republican. Got it. No, I'm not Republican. I'm just saying, halitosis is not a normal thing. I'm feeling like a black Republican. Niggas just fell in love with him. What the heck?
Starting point is 02:31:18 I don't know. I hate that record. Scream Man, can you get the Supreme toothpaste off the screen? We don't care. That's what I feel about That's selling I don't understand it Only because they sold Hip hop
Starting point is 02:31:32 Does it again They just did it They sold to the company That they were already Doing collabs with So I don't I kind of Don't understand it
Starting point is 02:31:39 But I think it's a great idea I thought Trump's Platinum plan Would give us a piece of this I just like it Because I saw Supreme start from literally a table at the street market like downtown.
Starting point is 02:31:50 Like, that's how they started. We have to stop getting our rocks off because we were there from the start. I saw them grow from the ground. Nigga, pay us. Yeah, nigga, that's dope. The fuck I'ma keep asking for? They got paid.
Starting point is 02:32:01 Fuck I'ma keep asking? I said us, not you. Oh. I mean, not done. I like that. I'ma keep asking for repar They got paid. Fuck, I'm going to keep asking. I said us, not you. Oh. I mean, not done. I like that. I'm going to keep asking for reparations for it, and we keep buying the toothpaste to send niggas to the top, and then they just leave. We shouldn't have bought the toothpaste.
Starting point is 02:32:13 I didn't. That's why you had halitosis. See? Full circle. You need the Supreme Colgate. You don't need that regular Colgate. You got to get Supreme. Yeah, you're right.
Starting point is 02:32:24 I thought it was a good idea Cause I don't think Supreme Was gonna last forever Shit So sell it Why not Get you 2.1 billion Oh no I'm definitely
Starting point is 02:32:32 I'm taking the 2 point Listen I'm not mad Listen I'm not mad at them I just don't understand What's going to change Because They sold to the company
Starting point is 02:32:40 That they already Did a lot of collabs with So At that point Who cares Shout out to Supreme though No doubt Are you gonna make sure They pay their taxes on that Me No company that they already did a lot of collabs with. At that point, who cares? Shout out to Supreme, though. No doubt. Are you going to make sure they pay their taxes on that? Me? No.
Starting point is 02:32:51 Shout out to Al Roker, who recently announced that he's been battling stage four cancer. Oh, man. Praise to Al Roker. Another one of our childhood staples. For sure.
Starting point is 02:33:05 I'll let you know what it was going to look like on Saturday. Roker. Yeah. Another one of our childhood staples. For sure. Yeah. Sure, for sure. I'll let you know what it was going to look like on Saturday. That stays for prostate cancer. Prostate cancer. He would let us know what was happening in our neck of the woods. Yeah. Prayer's up. Fuck cancer. Let me see if there's any more newsy stuff I have to get to.
Starting point is 02:33:20 I don't think there is. Parks, do you have any more newsy stuff? I mean, it's not newsy, but we got announcements of 2 Chainz album Friday. No, that could wait. That's music stuff. Newsy stuff. Oh, okay. No?
Starting point is 02:33:32 This is music news. Peloton and Beyonce. Let's do that first, and we'll toss it to you for the music news. Is a Beyonce bite coming? Peloton has signed a multi-year deal with Beyonce as she is the most requested artist by Peloton's 3.6 million members.
Starting point is 02:33:47 After being down 20% the other day, Peloton is up 4% pre-market. The power of Beyonce. To my knowledge, Peloton is some fitness shit, right? Yeah. I'm guessing they're going to use her music for workouts.
Starting point is 02:34:01 She's given everyone that goes to HBCU a free subscription to the app as well for workout. Wow, great. Yeah. Peloton did not disclose financial terms of the collaboration. I bet they didn't. They're not allowed to. It's Beyonce, nigga.
Starting point is 02:34:14 Except to say that the 39-year-old Grammy winner is also an investor in the company. The news sent Peloton stock up as much as 8.6% following a 20% plunge on Monday. Congratulations to Beyonce. Congratulations to Peloton stock up as much as 8.6% following a 20% plunge on Monday. Congratulations to Beyonce. Congratulations to Peloton. I think that's all of my newsy, newsy news. Yeah, I think that was a cool collaboration.
Starting point is 02:34:34 I've been too obsessed with the election shit, honestly, at this point. Which has been all the newsy news. Yeah, it's been all the newsy news. But we got a 2 Chainz album coming Friday. Hey! We got a Jeezy Recession 2 coming right after the battle, I guess. Okay, retired. Justice League apparently is doing a majority of the year.
Starting point is 02:34:50 Good timing. Oh, that's why Change was up there, too. My Who Different. Album coming. Okay. It makes sense now. I get it. Listen, man.
Starting point is 02:35:00 You got to sell records. I'm still so upset at Biden's first week numbers. No, I'm upset that 2 Chainz asked no one that was there who different. It was 10 people out there. No,
Starting point is 02:35:10 we're not. Who different? Fam, it's just 12 people out here fam. You could've did this from the crib. You could've zoomed this one.
Starting point is 02:35:20 Maul, with Wi-Fi, he can speak to people that are not currently there. Bro, it was 12 people there bro. Come on man. Yo, speak to people that are not currently there. We was 12 people there, bro. Come on, man. Also in hip-hop news, Royce... Somebody tweeted
Starting point is 02:35:31 Jane's... Next thing he said was, I heard this was a federal election, so for my next song, this will be when the feds are watching. I don't know. I don't know if he's joking or if he's serious right now i don't know the internet had fun with that you're joking right
Starting point is 02:35:49 now no someone tweeted that like as a joke he didn't get into this federal election bag i'm so glad he didn't really say that no chains did not say this imagine him playing feds watching at the biden campaign who are you going to say about Royce? Who different? No, not Royce, but somebody sent a video to my phone of a Keith Murray performance. I think that was old. Huh? I think that was old.
Starting point is 02:36:15 He stage dived and nobody called him. I don't care. I think that was old. I just think they have fun. The internet has fun. And that happens where you'll stage dive and you won't get caught. But then he got back on the stage, no music,
Starting point is 02:36:28 told the crowd, say ho, and then fell again. Oh. No, he asked them, could he stage dive? And they told him no. I know, but shortly after.
Starting point is 02:36:36 And he still did it anyways. Like, yo, we're not going to catch you, fam. Yeah, but to fall off the stage during say ho is crazy. Yeah. That's a rough night. It's time to pack. This is the last number. Yeah, one to fall off the stage during Say Ho is crazy. Yeah. That's a rough night. It's time to pack.
Starting point is 02:36:46 This is the last number. Yeah, one of the easiest callbacks of all time. I don't know with the contract how many songs he was obligated to perform that night, but once you just start falling all over the place. On his feet? On the stage, man? Yeah, why? No, he landed on his stomach.
Starting point is 02:37:00 If Atlanta's turning up like this, why we can't go do a live podcast in Atlanta right now? Honestly. Our last year went up, up. The dawn would have had us on tour in a couple months. Let me ask you guys this. Would you guys stage dive at the live podcast? Oh, no, because it would be... It's chairs.
Starting point is 02:37:18 It would be half. Podcast is... You know how much strength you got to have to catch someone while you're sitting down? Fuck. In a theater chair? And you know the spacing between a stage and a theater chair. Good luck.
Starting point is 02:37:28 It would be half the venue capacity, so they would try to cut our money, and I would tell them to fuck out of here. Sounds like something you'd do. That's why you just raised the ticket price. Let's just do it at amphitheaters. Rory wants to go to the fucking Prudential drive-thru so they could honk at us. Let's just do the amphitheaters. Look at the narratives you just created. Welcome to the JBB.
Starting point is 02:37:45 Beep, beep, beep, beep. Beep, beep. What is going on in his house? Nigga, just stay home. You don't have to get honked at by strangers. But why can't we do
Starting point is 02:37:55 amputee theaters though? We bought a Rory's honky tonk, man, huh? Why we can't do amputee theaters? That's a good question. They're outdoors. It's outdoors?
Starting point is 02:38:03 Is it? Yeah. Not really. They just put like a thing above you. It's just something covering the top of the sides. Just like all the restaurants we go to. Right. No, the restaurants are more enclosed.
Starting point is 02:38:12 Yeah. I've been taking all the food that my mom made that's in my freezer and just getting busy. This shit is stupid, man. But whatever. Y'all going to call me a Republican? We will. Let's just invite all the... We'll sell tickets to Park's house.
Starting point is 02:38:24 Just pack them in here. Yo, I'm getting mad. I ain't getting no Friendsgiving invite again. Oh, no, after COVID, that same one's coming with you. Niggas are not sending me to Friendsgiving.
Starting point is 02:38:33 Nah. But why? I want to do it. I've never been to one. It's on my bucket list. Friendsgiving is for fun. If you just had COVID, then people not fucking with you.
Starting point is 02:38:39 I want friends. I don't have COVID. I want friends and I want them to giving. I don't think nobody's really doing that this year, though. Yeah, I don't know what's happening with giving. I don't think nobody's really doing that this year. Yeah, I don't know what type of Thanksgiving. It's going to be quiet
Starting point is 02:38:46 for Thanksgiving. Look, now my friend's trying to keep it low. Oh, no. No, it is. It ain't even that type of vibe this year. Well, it's not.
Starting point is 02:38:51 If y'all want to plan it, I'll bring the mac and cheese with the raisins. Roy, you can't bring mac and cheese to our Friendsgiving. No, but it has raisins. Then I came up with drugs giving. Ooh.
Starting point is 02:39:01 Have the party there. That's every party. The party? Drugs at every party. No, party there. That's every party. The party? Drugs at every party. No, but the party. Oh, yeah. You want to do blow off the turkey? Blow off the turkey.
Starting point is 02:39:13 Season everything in Coke. Baddies only. Where the Coke baddies at? Oh, no. They're out there. Where the Coke head baddies? They're definitely on the Chatterhouse. Coke head baddies?
Starting point is 02:39:21 For sure. That seems like a Coke baddy. That's why they're on there 24 hours. You talk to a few Coke head baddies. Don't do that. Coke head bad's why they're on there 24 hours. You talk to a few Coke head baddies. Don't do that. Coke head baddies? Yeah. I don't know if I talk to a few Coke head baddies.
Starting point is 02:39:28 I'm telling you, you do. I'm telling you, you do. Coke head baddies? Yes. I know girls that do Coke, but Coke head? They do Coke, not Coke head. You know what a Coke head is? No, the girls that do Coke.
Starting point is 02:39:34 I just wake up and do a line. That's a Coke head. Oh, no. Yeah, no, you talk to a few of them. No, I don't. And me too. No, I don't. No, I don't.

Starting point is 02:39:52 Let's go to dinner. Let's go. Let's go everywhere. Let's do all the activities we're allowed to do. Oh, yeah. Let's throw it up. Oh, man. Never speak to you.
Starting point is 02:40:02 Speak to you again. You're a muck. You're a muck. You're a muck. Why did you get to hear my luxurious voice for this long? I'm all such a baddie. Yo, hold up. Don't call me no baddie. You're not a Bronx baddie?
