Starting point is 00:00:00 Nah, Joe gotta do a jersey swap with Bernice You might have to though You know you might have to though I can see Nah, there's a few Your jersey belong in a few spots for sure Nah, you was definitely the GM of the Starlets Yo
Starting point is 00:00:19 I can't believe you don't have a poster at Starlets Or Star Tenders rather Yeah, how come they didn't put you a little picture up next to it? When they made the poster wall? Yeah, man. They took down 6ix9ine. It was empty. They could have put you right there.
Starting point is 00:00:31 Yo, you want to hear Mike's? They did. It was empty. Did you go to Starlets after he snitched? No. They took it right down, and it was just an empty frame. I was like, why my man can't get that? Oh, Starlets has integrity?
Starting point is 00:00:41 I never knew that. I like that. Too many people that he may have possibly snitched on are patrons of that place. They was behind the movement, though. They was strong behind the movement. They was carrying the movement. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:00:56 And them songs rang off in Starlet's. I ain't going to hold you. No, they were nuts. They did. But no, listen. The psychology of it for me is somehow, ironically, when they put the poster wall up, the rapper wall, I feel like it's corny if you're there now.
Starting point is 00:01:12 Anywhere where the rapper wall is, I feel like, nah, I can't be there. It's a Hall of Fame. If you're on the wall or just period? If I'm on the wall. Oh, okay. Got it. If you're on the wall and you frequent the place, like they're going to put me on the Starlet's wall and I'm going to walk in and be looking at me like, all right.
Starting point is 00:01:28 Yeah. All right, I see what I did up there. That's your accolade. Take a flick next to it. You put in the thousand hours. Even in Pink Teacup when they had the wall and they asked me to take the picture, I was like, ah.
Starting point is 00:01:39 And that wall was like legendary, legendary. The spot, the cheesesteak spot in Philly, I forgot the name with all the pictures on the wall. All of yeah there's a few spots yeah but there's a few spots where my jersey it needs to be recognized the the work that i've done there melodies is one of them melody is one you start the wall like you know they have the banners merry christmas over steinway like they probably should put you on one of the banners because he kind of he made steinway pop as someone who lived here during it and participated in part some of it that was all over Steinway, they probably should put you on one of the banners because he made Steinway pop. As someone who lived here during it
Starting point is 00:02:06 and participated in some of it, that was all Joe. For a certain community. Now, Steinway wasn't lit like this before Joe. You have to just notice Maul and Rory
Starting point is 00:02:20 anytime a flower looks like it's coming my way. No, no, no. Somehow they go to intercept a flower. No, I just fought for him to replace this night. No, no, no.
Starting point is 00:02:30 You just looked at me and was like, don't do that again. Don't do that to me. Parks is right. He's got a point. I gotta take my flowers while I'm here, Maul.
Starting point is 00:02:38 I'll take your flowers. We're not gonna always be here. Right. If Melody don't know that my jersey should be up in the sky, who better than me? Who better than me to bring it there and say,
Starting point is 00:02:48 yo, dog, you forgot this. Put this up there. I respect that. Your jersey should be in the rafters there for sure. I respect that. Yeah, Melody. Absolutely. Nobody drank more pineapple juice in Melody than you did, yo. You ever caught a hand in the bathroom? Ma, tell me my jersey shouldn't be up in Sin City
Starting point is 00:03:04 even though Sin City's not there anymore. Come on, stop it. Stop it. Some of this shit is just fat. You definitely the only nigga to eat cake and drink. Come on, man. Honest, give it up. That's what does it?
Starting point is 00:03:12 Give it up. Give it up. Joe ate a whole chocolate cake in a week. Like Rory, maybe you and Rory should be up in Soho House and Dumbo House maybe, right? I've been there three times. Last lap. Last lap.
Starting point is 00:03:22 Oh, last lap. Let's go, Rory. Let's go. He might have to be the face you see on the walk times. Last lap. Last lap. Oh, last lap. Let's go, Rory. Rory might not have been around long enough. He might have to be the face you see on the walkout from last lap. My jersey belongs in the dressing room. Rory B. Jordan. You were going to play a song, I thought. Rory.
Starting point is 00:03:42 Rory B. Jordan. I mean, let me get my Kidding bag I'm playing my melody Greatest hits Stiamie what the fuck Is going on out there Let's do it What a great way
Starting point is 00:03:53 To start a record Perfect Yeah How about what's her name Do we know her name We don't want to disclose Private information What a great way to start
Starting point is 00:04:05 how do I start her name hi maybe hello how are you doing let me pull your panties to the side when was the last time you walked up to her
Starting point is 00:04:12 and said hello what are you talking about I can't say hello what's your intro DM line give it to me I see you I bet somehow that cryptic bullshit
Starting point is 00:04:22 works like the snowflake that's not really cryptic it works I see you that is cryptic you see me doing what you can be outside my window that that cryptic bullshit works like the snowflake. That's not really cryptic. It works. I see you. That is cryptic. You see me doing what? You could be outside my window, nigga. That is cryptic.
Starting point is 00:04:29 I see you. What do you see me doing? Like, no, I literally see you. Exactly. Now you done fell into a conversation. What? Where? Where?
Starting point is 00:04:36 You're scaring her. What? Where? What do you see? What? What happened? I see you turn around. I scare you.
Starting point is 00:04:41 God forbid she's reading this from the shower. Word. What's this kinkazoid nigga doing? I'm always a kinkazoid. I'm not a kinkazoid. You are a kinkazoid. Roy, what's your intro DM line? I don't have one.
Starting point is 00:04:56 I'm already good. No, I'm talking about when you're reaching out for music. Let's build. Really like this tune. Yo, big bro. To a woman. To a woman. Who's younger than me.
Starting point is 00:05:13 What's good, OG? Not Rory in the DM. Tell him, yo, big music seminar in Miami. Seminar. Happening soon. A seminar. You know Rory's a seminar. Yeah, for sure.
Starting point is 00:05:23 I might go to a seminar. Bring the host to the seminar. It's pretty funny. Yeah. And then tell him it was canceled. That's all they used a seminar. Yeah, for sure. I might go to a seminar. Bringing the host to the seminar is pretty funny. And then tell him it was canceled. That's all they used to do in Miami for the winter music conference.
Starting point is 00:05:31 That was just another reason for everybody to go to Miami and hump. That's kind of what I feel like all events are. Like All-Star Weekend, yeah, it's cool to see all the NBA players.
Starting point is 00:05:39 Yeah, yeah, yeah. Nobody really watches that when they there. It's for people to go to the city and hump. Niggas be at the game sleep hungover at All-Star Weekend. I've seen it. Niggas be at the game sleep hungover at All Star Week.
Starting point is 00:05:46 I've seen it. Niggas be in the skybox snoring. I'm like, fam. Them chicks was so mad when All Star was in Chicago. They pulled up though.
Starting point is 00:05:55 Yeah. I saw the footage. They pulled up and stayed by a radiator. Yeah. They pulled up. This is what they did. They definitely pulled up.
Starting point is 00:06:02 Oh man. Okay, back to Kid Ink. I think they still play this melody. One day I should just go back and melody. I should just run it. Oh, well, we going to lockdown. We can't go nowhere.
Starting point is 00:06:16 This is rap. I feel like this is rap. But when this came on, come on. Shout out to all the strangers I may have tongue kissed when this record was on, honestly. Nah, you're going for the up and coming talent. They're still stretching. You're trying to talk to the bartenders while they're trying to figure out where the patron is. Starting point is 00:11:03 Are those the Jordans that everyone's in a frenzy for in December that you already have? It might be. I'm not sure. I don't even know. Might need to revisit that list.
Starting point is 00:11:11 I don't even know when shit come out no more, man. I just, you know. What day is it even? I think I read that was the most anticipated sneaker of the year. This is not the most
Starting point is 00:11:19 anticipated sneaker of the year. No. This is out already. He's out already, right? I think in December. We don't even know. Look, he don't even know. These drop for y'all.
Starting point is 00:11:27 Oh, that song. Y'all finally heard that song? Yeah, I know he would know. You want to raffle? No, I don't do raffles. Stop playing with me. Is that offensive to you? Yes.
Starting point is 00:11:36 All right. I'm letting you know. Yes. So now you don't have to ask me to give you this. But me, your friend, you know I would never intentionally offend you. I take offense to you thinking I wake up and hit my phone to try to get sneakers. Okay. I don't do that. Okay. But you're doing offend you. I take offense to you thinking I wake up and hit my phone to try to get sneakers. Okay. I don't do that.
Starting point is 00:11:47 Okay. But you're doing all right. I'm good. I'm great, man. Thank you. Brother Parks is here. Parks, what's going on, man? I'm chilling, man.

Starting point is 00:11:59 So how were you guys' weekends? Anything interesting? The weekend was cool, man. No, I didn't do much. I got a Christmas tree and got drunk. You got the tree ready? Nice.
Starting point is 00:12:08 I got way too big of a tree. That's the best thing about being... Chop it down yourself? No, but I had to buy a saw to chop it down more. I bought like a 12-foot tree and my ceilings are probably nine feet tall.
Starting point is 00:12:17 It feels good to do some man shit every now and then. Yeah. Best thing about being single now is that you don't have to get the tree. Ah. Because you have to get the tree. Oh, absolutely.
Starting point is 00:12:29 I got a tree anyway. They love it. Even when I was single, I like it. I know. We talk ourselves into it. Oh, I love the pine smell. Yeah. I know.
Starting point is 00:12:36 And then you're sweeping up pine for two months. Facts. Oh, it just smells so much like Christmas in here now. Yeah. All the bullshit. Until we found pine aerosol. Every Christmas for? Yeah. All the bullshit. Until we found pine air sole.
Starting point is 00:12:46 Every Christmas. Christmas candles. Until you see the gift she got you. I was like, man, bitch. You bitch. Pajamas. More. I sleep naked.
Starting point is 00:12:58 Yes, more boxers. Wow. The red ones this time. Imagine holidays being for men. That's when you notice how much your girl don't even look at you. You don't even wear boxers. Yeah. At all.
Starting point is 00:13:13 And you know my dad gets me boxers and tank tops every year if you've been with me. So why the fuck are you doing that? Because you may need more. That's why as a significant other, you get one ball out Christmas from Joe for you to match energy. You take notes from there. Oh, 1,000%. I like that strategy. Yeah, I got to see how they on it.
Starting point is 00:13:33 Sorry. The custom chess board isn't doing it anymore. Oh, it's gold pieces. I don't play chess. How's that? I don't know how to play. Never did. But Uncle Walter is really hype When he comes over
Starting point is 00:13:48 Hey Joe Anybody of your friends Play chess? No nigga No No we don't No No I got a stack
Starting point is 00:13:54 Stack of thermals Over the past decade Just chilling in my closet Every Christmas It'll be great For under the jacket Yeah I know
Starting point is 00:14:00 I know what thermals do One time These ones go under your jeans. I know. I know. Yeah. One time I tried to freak it, but I can stop.
Starting point is 00:14:10 Yeah. You know what? Just give me a pair of concours. Keep it light. Yeah. No, I can't get you sneakers. Cause then you'll walk out of my life.
Starting point is 00:14:18 Oh my God. Like, you know what? She didn't say that. I'm going to walk out of your life. You're going to have a front row seat And trust me When I move
Starting point is 00:14:27 I'm not gonna be wearing Concords No At all But uh Shout out to Shout out to all the great Gift givers
Starting point is 00:14:36 Out there There How's that Men women Shout out to all of you Shout out to all the people That may be going through A difficult time
Starting point is 00:14:42 I know the holidays Can be tough Absolutely This year especially Shit Yeah I didn't even think About that added toughness Man
Starting point is 00:14:49 Man It's already a depressing Time of year For a lot of people Imagine people That already are depressed And may have lost someone Or are more depressed
Starting point is 00:14:57 Because they haven't left The house in eight months Yeah Yeah It's rough It definitely doesn't feel like The holiday Yeah
Starting point is 00:15:04 That's why I got tree early Fuck yeah Wait what the fuck Are you talking about Didn't the Dreamville Yeah. It's rough. It definitely doesn't feel like the holiday. Yeah. That's why I got treated early. Fuck yeah. Wait, what the fuck are you talking about? Didn't the Dreamville Christmas album, just the LVNR Christmas album just come out? To restore the feeling? How could it not,
Starting point is 00:15:17 how could it possibly not feel like the holidays? Snub for a Grammy. Oh no. Yeah, we need a little more. They try to, but you just need a little more. I'm waiting for Cam. Once Cam put out a Christmas album, then you know the holidays are here. Then I know what? The holidays are here.
Starting point is 00:15:32 No? No. My bad. That's not what does it for you? I didn't mean to trick you. My bad. See, listen. Listen, this could be our year.
Starting point is 00:15:44 This could be our year. It's not, man. It's not, man. But it could be our year. It's not, man. It's not, man. But it could be our year. It's not, man. I'm chilling. I'm chilling. I'm chilling.
Starting point is 00:15:48 Like, I'd be playing with you. I know. You'd be trying to really. I know, man. No, I'd be chilling, man. I'm just fucking with you. Hey, well, Roy, how you doing, man? I'm taking it day by day.
Starting point is 00:15:56 You know. Everything okay? Taking it day by day. Roy, we trying to give us hints. Like, yo, won't help me. Day by day, man. That's my strategy. One day at a time?
Starting point is 00:16:06 Today is a day. Oh boy, going through it. No, I went to the dentist. Apparently, I grind my teeth when I sleep. Oh, I know what that means. Look at the things you find out about yourself as you get old. You got to get out of that house, man.
Starting point is 00:16:19 Yeah, I don't have enough fiber. Rory being a sleep person, I'm fucking sure. A regular calm guy like me, I could never imagine that I would grind my teeth in. But yeah, then I don't have enough fiber in my diet. So that's with that. At 30 years old, I feel like I've had more thumbs from a doctor in my ass than a 60-year-old man that has a cancer scare at this point.
Starting point is 00:16:41 Got to get your fiber. So yeah, I'm violated pretty often by a doctor and I don't have enough fiber and I keep taking the pills, the shakes, I eat bread. You keep getting figured. And he just keeps
Starting point is 00:16:51 sticking it up there. Yo, is this nigga dying? No. You got to get that Metamucil. I have it. You do? I have the pill version. You got to stop eating dairy.
Starting point is 00:17:01 I don't eat dairy though. I think it's the dairy. It could be. That's such an old... Your pops or anyone say it stop eating dairy. I don't eat dairy, though. I think it's the dairy. It could be. That's such an old. Your pops or anyone say, yeah, it's the dairy. All right. So, no, honestly,
Starting point is 00:17:12 all jokes aside, what I get from what you're saying is that your ass region is no longer a sensitive area. No, no, no, not at all. Where it's worn out. It's welcoming. It's welcoming.
Starting point is 00:17:23 He's got the beef curtains. Pretty much doesn't matter what doctor goes back there it's all gonna feel the same not rory with the ass keloid you gotta relax man you gotta fucking calm down calm down no disgusting when uh when a chick wants to spice things up and oh do you like your ass oh you're gonna do much more than that it's very numb down there advertisers right here is where your product can go no but what's so awkward in between this riveting content what's so awkward about it is the doctor can't do it alone by law. There has to be people in the room. So not only are you feeling emasculated by having a man stick his fingers in your ass, there's an audience that you have to look at.
Starting point is 00:18:20 And they follow the pod. Did you give him a show? He felt emasculated. I squirmed, Farks. You didn't give him a little bone? he felt emasculated I squirmed Farks you didn't give him a little bone he felt emasculated
Starting point is 00:18:29 yeah I bet you did uncomfortable it wasn't him yeah I don't
Starting point is 00:18:42 mean to laugh we're already against the MVP I'm done I'm finished this ain't even up he's shooting for it he's already against the MVP I'm done I'm finished This ain't even up for debate
Starting point is 00:18:46 He's shooting for it He's been shooting for it I'm telling you My asshole took us there Look, man You never Look, you would've never thought, huh? Yeah, man
Starting point is 00:18:53 Yeah, treat every song like it could be the one That's what Theo Sotomayor said About my ass? Alright, no We're off of your ass now That's fine But yeah, everyone get checked.
Starting point is 00:19:05 It's important. Yes. Thank you. Men, especially. Everyone get fingered. Yeah. I'm not going to get checked.
Starting point is 00:19:10 What if they find something? You end up like me, taking 10 fiber pills a day, sneaking off to the doctor and not telling anyone. Yo, you are really pussy if you take fiber pills.
Starting point is 00:19:23 Just eat some fruit, man. It doesn't work with my food. I tried. Get some pineapple for that sake. You got to eat some more roughage. Get some leafy greens, man. This nigga eat raisins for breakfast.
Starting point is 00:19:38 Raisins are good. Look at Rory. Raisins are good, damn it. And they're good for you. They are. Oh, now Rory on a fiber diet. Listen, bro, it's- And he only 30.
Starting point is 00:19:50 I know. It's hereditary. I've known about this for a while. We're going to get the GoFundMe going for you so you can buy more fiber. I appreciate that. We'll set it at 500K. Yeah, no, it's expensive to take all these shakes. Man, this nigga better go roll around in the grass or something.
Starting point is 00:20:07 Look what you're telling him to do. He doesn't have fiber. Don't roll around in the grass. I never even thought of it that way. Go roll around in the grass if your fiber is low. If you don't go to Home Depot, eat a plant.
Starting point is 00:20:17 By the way, Joe has wondered why for how many years we've been doing this podcast that we come in and he asks, how are you doing? We just say good. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:20:24 Because then when you tell him you're doing bad, he laughs. Roll around in the grass. Yeah. You might have colon cancer, but go roll in the grass. Oh, man. Yo, that was great.
Starting point is 00:20:34 That was awesome. E-Rap is in. We're still intro. It's 20 minutes in. E-Rap is in the movie. E-Rap, what's going on, man? You good? Good.
Starting point is 00:20:41 Look, I good. Yeah. Niggas don't care what I'm talking about. Yeah, Eli, wrap this shit up. Hurry the fuck up Savon is here Rory and his Crohn's disease Can wait

Starting point is 00:21:01 Oh that's a your sippy cup. Oh, that's a cool sippy cup. Dunkin' Donuts? That's also where your jersey should be hung up. That's a big fact. They're not sponsoring us, but yeah. My jersey should be hung up over there. All right, gentlemen. Speaking of which, you drink so much coffee.
Starting point is 00:21:21 I know you have the runs at least every other day. I don't. that's too much coffee I don't I never knew how fast you go to the bathroom if you drink black coffee oh yeah it's almost like instant though yeah that shit is crazy the coffee and sick combo is just roll around the grass man anyways I'm so happy to woke up breathing today let me take away some breath
Starting point is 00:21:54 alright come on where do you want to begin it's pod time the big news what was the big news? The Grammy nods. The Grammy nods. Everyone's favorite time of year.
Starting point is 00:22:10 Validation. Who got snubbed, Rory? Give me validation. No, I didn't get snubbed. I didn't make the deadline. Me either. Yo, that line got to go too. I didn't make the deadline?
Starting point is 00:22:20 Yeah, no, no, no. I just missed it. Yeah, no, we didn't submit. I know. I know you didn't. I have no idea what just missed it. Yeah, no, we didn't submit. I know. I know you didn't. I have no idea what the deadline is. Yeah. The deadline.
Starting point is 00:22:30 Album trash. I remember I went to you one like, yo, man, we ain't getting, we ain't getting no way to submit that shit. Oh, all right. We had other things to do that day. Y'all didn't think that was important? No.
Starting point is 00:22:48 It's so rough being in this industry as why do people why do people want to do it like every interview i try to get that out of people like yo what makes you want to do this it's horrible glitter and the sparkly stuff no they don't even show that anymore it's not glamour and glittery yeah yeah everybody everybody look like they went in right now the glam and glitz is when we get used to have videos played where's the glam and glitz now yeah tiktok and i don't have a tiktok but uh but i do see some of the content creators on instagram and the creative ways that they're using t as curvy, beautiful adults. I see what you're getting at. And it did make me rethink. Joe just spent his weekend under the Meg body hashtag.
Starting point is 00:23:32 Body, yaddy, yaddy, yaddy, yaddy, yaddy. That's what you was doing all weekend? No. You was looking at ass. I didn't even know that that was a thing. Oh, man. Yaddy, yaddy, yaddy, yaddy. Oh, my God.
Starting point is 00:23:42 They're shaking ass. Oh, that's what JT meant when she posted that picture that's a good picture she did it again man I followed oh you didn't before no
Starting point is 00:23:52 they got the follow out of you yeah so was that a challenge she's a tremendous artist you know makes the Adi Adi Adi challenge the body challenge yeah
Starting point is 00:24:00 cause she does a dance in the video so it's not a ball you wanna demonstrate the dance? Let me see. No, I don't want to demonstrate. This is where you have screen time.
Starting point is 00:24:07 Let me see what they're doing. No, it's right here. It's right there on the screen. But you can do that. Let me see. No, I can't do that. Definitely not doing that. You didn't do that in the choir?
Starting point is 00:24:16 No. I promise you, that move was never in our choreography at all. It's a good move. It would have worked for you guys, I'm sure. I see what's happening. I told you It's a good move. It would have worked for you guys, I'm sure. I see what's happening. I told you this was a game movie. But Body was one of the songs
Starting point is 00:24:29 I liked from that album. Yeah. I believe it's a single. I'm going to shake ass to it. It should be a single. It's definitely a single. It looks like a really good video. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:24:38 They was trying to kill me. It was a small group of people were trying to kill me on the internet for apparently saying that I couldn't critique Meg's album because I was protecting her mental health. You people on the internet are idiots, and I say it all the time.
Starting point is 00:24:53 Shut the fuck up. Stop attempting to understand what I'm saying if you're stupid. I'm never talking to the stupid people. Thank you for saying that. There are a lot of stupid people on the internet. I clearly said here and said that album is mid. That was my critique. But this body shit, now I will go home and search this hashtag.
Starting point is 00:25:16 Yeah. I mean, for research purposes, maybe a challenge that you would have. You just want to keep gauging what the album is doing. You have to understand what the new social. Rattle the snake to that one. No. You can just watch the video. Relax.
Starting point is 00:25:30 Just relax. You don't have to assault yourself all the time. Fucking relax, man. Joey ready to assault himself. Look how you describe it. I don't describe it that way. It's consensual with you? Shut up, Rory. So back to Grammy noms.
Starting point is 00:25:48 Yeah. Or did we even start that? We did, right? We sort of, but not really. All right, well, let's start Grammy noms. Okay. Let's see it scream in. Album of the year.
Starting point is 00:25:58 Whoa, why you got us here? You want to start there? I don't want to start there. Album of the year. Give me right to the sauce. Give me right to the sauce. Album of the year. Give me right to the salt. Give me right to the salt. Album of the year. I'm not here to play. Let's go Rory. Jhene,
Starting point is 00:26:10 Black Pumas, Coldplay, and Jacob Collar. Wait, what? I'm just reading off Variety.com. Shout out to Variety.com. Maybe. They didn't do this. The Grammys? No, they don't do the Grammys, but they do post who gets nominated.
Starting point is 00:26:27 No, but I'm saying. Anyway. Janae. And who? D Smoke? The Black Pumas. No, we're going to get to that later. Coldplay.
Starting point is 00:26:39 And Jacob Collar. I believe I'm pronouncing that correctly. I don't know who that is. Jacob Collar. And then going on, Haim Ham. Haim, I believe I'm pronouncing that correctly. I don't know who that is. Jacob Collier. And then going on, Haim, Haim? Haim, I think. Dua Lipa. I don't understand why I can never pronounce artists' names anymore.
Starting point is 00:26:54 Post Malone, hey, your guy. And Taylor Swift. I see what's happening. I see what's great happening. Yeah. What? The old Taylor. Taylor's re-recording all that music.
Starting point is 00:27:04 That Blackpool was album came out last year by the way. It was nominated last year. Yeah but it was submitted this year. Yeah but it didn't win.
Starting point is 00:27:10 Oh it's a deluxe that came out last week so they snuck it back in. Wait you can win off deluxes? Apparently. You gotta see the
Starting point is 00:27:17 loopholes. So why can't Outkast Equipment I be here? That's a good question. That would win this category.
Starting point is 00:27:22 It would. It wasn't a good enough album. That's right. Swift gave us something on folklore. album swift gave us something on folklore i'm kidding by the way i'm kidding that's a joke um okay i'll scream man we can go to the next category you know please don't let me rely on rory's reading ability thanks man you want to do song of the year next sure that's fine since that's where he has it. Black Parade, Beyonce, Roddy Ricch, The Box, Cardigan, Circles, Don't Start Now, Everything I Wanted, I Can't Breathe, If The World Was Ending. The Box. The Box should win that.
Starting point is 00:27:53 Should win that. It was, I think, the most successful single of the year. But they'll probably figure a way to give it to Taylor Swift or somebody. Yeah, she's re-recording all of that. Joe, you want to hit us with best new artist? No. D Smoke's there for you. I don't.
Starting point is 00:28:09 I don't care about any of this. Cage for now. But, fuck it, I guess we have to pod. Best new artist. I'm going to go with that one. In Greed and Dress. Phoebe Bridgers. Phoebe.
Starting point is 00:28:20 Hilarious name. Phoebe Bridgers. Chica or Chica. I like Chica. See, it's tough noah cyrus d smoke doja cat k trinata can we get to the d smoke stimulus package yet or are we gonna oh and megan the stallion what are you trying to add some suspense to my reading on screen man i want to see that prior to win that one actually i have no idea we should win any of this stuff. And I don't want to just
Starting point is 00:28:48 because I'm not familiar with everybody on here. So I don't know. That's why Meg should probably win. Yeah, but you know they like to do the eclectic winner. Sometimes. The weird winner that, oh, now you're going to learn from us. This is what you should be listening to. Best R&B
Starting point is 00:29:04 performance. Nominees, Lightning and Thunder. Jhene Aiko featuring this is what you should be listening to best r&b performance nominees lightning and thunder janae aiko featuring john legend black parade by beyonce all i need jacob collier uh goathead britney howard see me emily king okay best traditional r&b performance what's what does that mean i don't know it's traditional This means that this is how it's traditionally done. Sam Brash. Can you just tell me who the actual artist is? It's in the parentheses at the bottom. Do it, Chloe and Haley, and then slow down.
Starting point is 00:30:09 Skip Marley and her. We don't care about this, man. Get to the good stuff. I'm not sitting here to read all of this bullshit. Y'all can watch the Grammys on your own. Best R&B album. Here we go. Meat and Potatoes. Happy to be here. Aunt Clemens. Take time.
Starting point is 00:30:24 Wait. Is it Jivion or Givion? It's Givion. Givion. Take time, Givion. Luke James, to feel loved. John Legend,
Starting point is 00:30:33 Bigger Love, Gregory Porter, All Rise. Again, I don't know who should win. I'm not familiar with all these songs. The fact that Summer Walker over it is not in Best R&B Album.
Starting point is 00:30:42 It's insane. I'm confused here. It's like offensive. Did they submit? Ask Mo. I'm confused here. It's like offensive. Did they submit? Ask Moe. I don't know. He was in Toronto. Nah, they all kept it at the border too long.
Starting point is 00:30:51 It was late getting in. They held the album? Yeah, they held the album at the border. Let's get to best rap album. I don't understand this performance shit. Whatever. Great. They lucky that she's too busy being pregnant and in love.
Starting point is 00:31:04 I feel like she would address that. I still think it's gonna. Even if it was like, I don't know. Everything about Summer says, you know, she creates music, puts it out,
Starting point is 00:31:13 and however people receive it, they receive it. I don't think she pays attention to What the fuck does performance mean? Accolades and shit like that. When you performed it. So it's just like how well they rapped on that song?
Starting point is 00:31:23 Yeah. Mm-hmm. Okay. That's what it is. That's what I was doing. I wouldn't describe many of these songs as exceptional rapping. But carry on. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:31:35 Yeah. Back to the real shit. Best rap album. We can skip all the other categories. D Smoke, Black Habits. Huh? Freddie Gibbs. He said D Smoke, Black Habits is what he. He said D Smoke, Black Habits
Starting point is 00:31:46 is what he said. Best rap album of the year. Huh? Parks, he signed to Netflix. Huh? Freddie Gibbs, Alchemist, Alfredo, Jay Electronica, and Jay-Z, A Written Testimony, Nas, King Disease, Royce the Five-Nine,
Starting point is 00:32:02 The Allegory. I love the last four. Okay, does this mean, does JLX nomination mean that I have to walk back my hate? No. Alright, awesome. But that's family, he listens, so we should say that. No, I think it's great. No, congratulations. I'm not here
Starting point is 00:32:18 to hate. No, no. I'm not here to hate. Big congrats to Royce and Freddie and Al. That's amazing. Yeah, that's big. And Nas. And Nas, absolutely. I kind of hope they're setting, just my personal shit, I hope they're setting this up for Nas to finally get a Grammy. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:32:32 Like, they've snubbed him too long. Give him a Grammy. I don't even care what it's for. And the album was dope. That would be nice. More importantly. I think Royce is my favorite out of that list. Or maybe Freddie Gibbs, no.
Starting point is 00:32:41 Those would be my favorites. Yeah, Alfredo probably is the most Replay value Give me the snubs Who do you think Deserves to be here And who would you take away I would take Best rap album
Starting point is 00:32:52 Yeah I would take D Smoke Cause Lil Baby should be here Lil Baby Roddy Ricch Roddy Ricch should be here Yeah I think Pop Smoke's album
Starting point is 00:32:59 Yeah One of them I think he has two In this cycle The main one Pop Smoke should've got a look I feel like I think he had two in this cycle. The main one. Pop Smoke should have got a look. I feel like that's one of those that will get nominated next year. I mean, they might not.
Starting point is 00:33:12 I don't know what the holdup is. Two for the Stars, Ain't for the Moon. That should be nominated, I feel. Yeah, I would like to see Pop nominated. I thought that album deserved it. I agree. Rest in peace, Pop Smoke. Absolutely.
Starting point is 00:33:25 Did you text Stephen Victor that? No no i did not text stephen victor that uh you i'm sure facetimed him did you text web star no they just hit him on the chatty house did you text webstar why would i text webstar just just to say what's up say hi yeah oh no i i didn't maybe i should check in i did what's up big bro he had had COVID If Webstar is Rory's big bro Don't do that man Don't do that to Rory Rory who's your big bro I ignore a lot of
Starting point is 00:33:51 I am an only child Joe I do not have a big bro Y'all have made big bro so offensive It is But it shouldn't be right Unless it's your real big brother. That is not true. We hate our big brothers.
Starting point is 00:34:09 Not everybody. Nobody's big bro and their actual big brother. We're trying to fight our big brothers. You're the only one that hates your big brother. You never tried to fight none of your brothers? No. Who did you fight at the family reunion? Cousins.
Starting point is 00:34:20 Same shit. No. You fought your closest cousin before? Not my closest, no. Who did you fight at the family reunion, Rory? I definitely fought my closest cousins up until adults. Not my closest, but the other cousins that I'd be like... I don't even remember how we got on this now.
Starting point is 00:34:34 Big bro. And you only really fight your cousins because your moms and your aunts don't get along. Rory has big bros out there somewhere. I'm not going to spend money on a PI to locate them. But there has to be a big bro out there somewhere. What's your definition of big bro? I want to go. No, see. Stop, because niggas
Starting point is 00:34:52 have made it funny now and now men can't be vulnerable. Yeah, yeah. Watch your mouth. No, because it's funny when someone you don't know who's younger than you says, what's up, big bro? No, it's more funny when it's someone you do know who is older than you. But that's the joke. Unless it's one of the young boys that'll kill you. That's a joke, but it happens very often.
Starting point is 00:35:07 Yeah. Yeah. So, yeah, do I have- So what's your OG? Do I have older gentlemen that I look up to? See, look, look, look, look, look, look, look, look, look, look. That's my problem with you dudes. It's just semantics.
Starting point is 00:35:18 It's just semantics. That's different. Explain them to me. The OG is usually like- Someone you learn from. Yeah. Someone usually more experienced, probably more traveled, than big bro explain them to me the OG is usually like someone you learn from someone a little usually more experienced probably more traveled
Starting point is 00:35:28 to give you some advice to help you in your journey right yeah sure why is that not a big bro as well cause big bro isn't quite the OG status
Starting point is 00:35:35 then tell me what a big bro is now if you have a real bigger brother no more I don't care about your family I'm trying to get hip hop involved I'm not calling some nigga that's just
Starting point is 00:35:44 older than me my big bro. Well, if he guided you. I'm asking what is the difference in what I just asked. Not y'all personal take on big bro-ing somebody. I can only talk from person to person. All right, Moe. You don't have a big bro. You don't have any bros.
Starting point is 00:35:56 I have big brothers. They're my brothers. And they're big bro. Yeah, and they're older than me. I'm the youngest. And they were Big's brother. Yeah. Can I get a serious answer to my question, please, so I can be enlightened?
Starting point is 00:36:06 I think the OG is older than the Big Bro. And the Big Bro isn't quite to OG's status. Yo, man is so stupid. You just hear us. I don't think there's much difference. Yo, it's different because the OG is older. What the fuck? What is the difference?
Starting point is 00:36:18 Who's your Big Bro? I don't think there's much difference. Steven Victor? Lenny S. I can see that. That's Rory's Big Bro. Lenny? Yeah. I can that. That's Rory's big bro. Lenny? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:36:26 I can see Brenner being Rory's big bro. Benner? Benner, yeah. He's older than you, right? Well, yeah, much older than me. Sean Money is Rory's big bro. Asher Rolf is Rory's big bro. I would put Sean in a big bro category.
Starting point is 00:36:38 What do you know? We found a big bro. See? There's nothing wrong with that. Why wouldn't Sean be OG? Yeah, I think Sean would be more OG than I'm done with y'all. I think it's about the same. Y'all are so prideful. Thank you,
Starting point is 00:36:49 Rory. Thank you, Rory. Come back. Fuck with me. I'm not trying to insult you. I say Benner because Benner is a white man. We have found the difference. The demand criteria is nuts. Shaw Money is a brother, but he's older than you.
Starting point is 00:37:07 He's not your real brother. He's an OG. Can we get back to the Grammys, please? I suppose. So you didn't call Stephen Victor? No. Okay. The fact that no female artists were nominated for R&B album in a year is a little funny, though.
Starting point is 00:37:23 Whose part's big, bro? What's one of the famous Mixer niggas? Greg Sackleroy? The famous. Oh, yeah. Greg Sackleroy did this one. The famous Greg Sackleroy. I don't think I called you Greg Sackleroy.
Starting point is 00:37:35 If you know anything about him, his one project is a standalone legacy. Standalone. Can't put any albums next to that one. Next to Greg Sackcharine shit um back to the grammy noms y'all were saying it is amazing that uh no women are nominated for the best r&b album is that is that a fact yes that's a fact uh let's look where's my phone let's call justice yeah no no women uh yeah I can't believe Summer Walker. Brandy's album, I think you could talk about that one in there.
Starting point is 00:38:10 We were saying that Snow was not in this cycle of time, right? Summer made the cycle of time? Yes. She should definitely be. She had the best time. She had the best time. Tiana had a great R&B album. Tiana, for sure, had a really good time. Summer had the best R&B albumiana for sure had a really good summer had the best rmbl
Starting point is 00:38:27 i agree i agree as well yo justice this is joe budden and the gang from the jbp my boys without doubt we love you and we miss you let's start with that how are you um man life was beautiful to this fucking morning, bro. Shit crazy. Is everything okay? Yeah, bro. It's fucking Grammys. Okay, good.
Starting point is 00:38:53 As long as it's just Grammys. That is what we were talking about. As long as it's just Grammys, then it's bad. So you feel the heat from some of that too, huh? Nigga. This shit is so inaccurate, bro.
Starting point is 00:39:03 Like, like, I'm so lividvid i get mad talking about it bro it doesn't make any sense but tell me tell me why we still get angry let me let me hear it i know you do because you speak from a different position let me tell you why i still get angry why i still get angry is because from an executive position bro like at the end of the day yes it's not for us it's never been for us but bro it's still one of those things, like, I still want to compete at the highest level. And at the end of the day, in order for our music to still always cut through, we got to go and smack these niggas up and show that our culture is really, like, the most important thing.
Starting point is 00:39:38 And, like, nigga, like, we need that recognition, bro. Like, it doesn't make sense. Whatever they try to send, it doesn't make sense, they try to send it doesn't make sense bro i don't fuck with it and it's just it's an emotional thing like it means a lot for some reason you know i'm saying like i don't know why and it means a lot maybe because of what it would do for the business if summer were nominated even if she didn't win not only not only that having you having that in front of your name, Grammy nominated or Grammy winning, it hires your price. But it's really more disrespectful when she had the best R&B album of the year.
Starting point is 00:40:12 By far had the best R&B album of the year. Bro, every single category, my nigga, she dominated. She was up for every critics list, every fucking billboard prediction prediction every block prediction all that the music the music was better she put up the numbers she culturally impacted it doesn't make any sense and like to even take the conversation away from me again like let's just be accurate like the weekend had the biggest year of his life little baby little baby has had the most impactful fucking rap career since fucking drake his trajectory is doesn't make sense his trajectory is some shit we haven't seen before this is not accurate bro it doesn't make sense bro it just doesn't damn man it's not till i hear it
Starting point is 00:40:58 it's not till i hear your voice just that i'm that i that i feel the way man because I'm disconnected from it it doesn't really affect me either way but when I hear you and that passion and hunger and just the outright knowing when something is wrong yeah man I get it bro bro like I I mean I've talked I've called made I made every single call this morning like you know like when you go through down the fucking checklist of things that you need for the Grammys bro bro what makes this shit worse is like fuck the business and like and raising your price bro from an artist's perspective bro it's hard it's hard enough to get summer to believe in you know like trying to do things that you know appease the industry that in itself is a fucking challenge right and when you finally when you finally get an artist to do the things that they
Starting point is 00:41:44 need to do quote unquote for the grammys bro like to get somewhere to move it costs money we do we we have done certain just to appease these for free and then you still get the slap bro that's what i'm saying like there's an agenda there's somebody in there that's really saying yo we are not going to give this girl something for a reason i don't know what that reason is granted some of you know a lot of but it doesn't matter it doesn't take away from the fucking music is it about the music or not yeah well she definitely said well listen yeah that uh not that it means anything to you but yeah we we think she should be nominated yeah no not nominated when yeah we think she should win nominated. Yeah. No, not nominated. Win. Yeah, we think she should win.
Starting point is 00:42:25 Yeah. Damn, man. And it's fucked up because I really was calling to tease you because now that Summer's pregnant, I don't think we get an album. But this Grammy nom is off. This takes precedence. So I'm not going to tease you today. No, we're still working, bro.
Starting point is 00:42:42 Yeah, I know. I know that's what you guys say when they get pregnant. No, no, no, no, no. I totally understand. No, no, she's still in the studio. She's working. No, she's a workhorse. No, bro, I've been in Atlanta for the last two months, bro.
Starting point is 00:42:55 You know they do that. I'll say workhorse to me. Am I lying, though? Of course not. Just know they do it. Nah, nah, they all do that. But fuck, man. This shit, bro, this shit really has gut in my spirit bro
Starting point is 00:43:06 like i'm not even gonna hold you bro like like not just her bro like everybody else involved you know like all the all the fucking contributors you know i'm saying like bro how is she feeling yeah that that was my next question how's she doing oh we can't afford for her to feel the way no i mean you know something's different she was just like bro like i can't afford for her to feel the way. No, I mean, you know, something's different. She was just like, bro, like, I can't believe you actually even, like, care. She's like, bro, I don't suck dick. And they were never going to give me anything. So I don't know why you care so much. That's her take.
Starting point is 00:43:34 That next album about to be super crazy now. Word. And then that third album when she leaves, dude, oh, my God. Don't say that. Look what you're putting into you. I'm just saying if it happens, all right. Okay. God forbid.
Starting point is 00:43:44 God forbid. They have a child coming. No, God forbid. Yeah. God forbid. God forbid. They have a child coming. No, God forbid. God forbid. How are y'all doing, though? I mean, how do y'all feel about, I mean, let's take the bias, the biasness of my fucking tone. Like, you know, the little baby conversation, the weekend conversation.
Starting point is 00:43:59 No, Summer absolutely deserved to be nominated, but I think her album was the best R&B album of the year. Little Baby, for sure. Roddy Ricch wrap up in the year they i like a lot of it i like you know they showed a lot of love to underground hip-hop stuff so i love it and lyricists but there you know there's a couple like how yeah how is this not here no it just shows the politics you ain't gonna tell you know how we feel about it. They're not even trying to hide the politics. But this don't even...
Starting point is 00:44:28 Rory, I'll be with you, but this doesn't make sense. Politically, bro, to not fucking give The Weeknd a fucking nod, politically doesn't make sense. Oh, no, I'm saying there's some politics on why. I don't know what they are, but there's no reason he shouldn't be up there. So it's clearly an issue between the Grammy board and The Weeknd or his team or his camp or his label or something. Because that's a politic. He's winning everything else.
Starting point is 00:44:52 I don't know what that issue is, but there has to be one. Is he not nominated for anything? I don't see it. I don't think anything at all. That's insane. And whatever that December was, was number one for fucking six months. Bro, no offense, but fucking de-smoke, my nigga. Like fucking six months bro no offense but fucking D Smoke my nigga like come on no offense
Starting point is 00:45:09 Justice Roddy Rich yo it has been great talking to you we're gonna call you back once we finish recording we're gonna hit you back bro just chill out we love you Roddy Rich I love D Smoke I think he's a fucking talented artist but like Roddy Ricch, bro. And congratulations. Roddy Ricch. I love D Smoke.
Starting point is 00:45:25 I love D Smoke. I think he's a fucking talented artist. But like, Roddy Ricch had the fucking summer rocking. I'm with you, bro. We agree. We agree on that. We agree on that. Yeah, well, D Smoke had Netflix rocking. Take that, bitch.
Starting point is 00:45:36 I mean, if they would have had a best performance in a TV show, D Smoke would be out. Listen, we are not carrying on this Grammy conversation for this long. We know what time it is. We see it every year. Kanye pissed on the Grammy. Y'all got mad at him. I didn't. Listen, what do you want me to do?
Starting point is 00:45:50 Drake eats cereal out the Grammy or whatever the cool kids are doing. They're telling you what they think about the Grammy. So every year, it's like the freshman cover for XXL. I'm not doing this
Starting point is 00:45:59 every time it comes out. Hey, what are they doing? We know what they're doing. We still don't know what they're doing. And if they're not doing that, then they're pandering to what they should be doing. They don't tell me that they're
Starting point is 00:46:07 actually going to do what the fuck they should be doing. Sorry that they toy with our emotions this way, but there's even a business in that. So I'm not investing in it. I feel for you that you're investing in it, but yeah, I don't give a fuck about this. Hey, Joe. All I got to say is that
Starting point is 00:46:23 we got to pick one award show next year I'm getting all my niggas We're going to the Soul Train Awards And we're gonna make this shit hot Every single artist We're gonna fucking plan a weekend out We're gonna fucking do the fucking Rock Nation brunch at the Soul Train Awards, nigga
Starting point is 00:46:37 We're doing our shit, bro We gotta make this shit hot like the Soul Train Awards again, bro Cause Nah, i'm calling puff and hold right now that you give me hype yeah bro because these can't they can't keep disrespecting us bro like like even the year that that that whole they had this sit front up close and they told that nah like come on bro like 15 times nah bro nah bro nah we not watching this shit.
Starting point is 00:47:05 We not showing up. I'm not buying no more tickets to that shit. Done. Well, all right. Congrats to all my niggas that did get nominated, though. Yes.
Starting point is 00:47:14 Shout out to the people that did get nominated. Just, we'll call you when we're not recording, bro. We love you. Love y'all. Bye. Peace.
Starting point is 00:47:21 That's how you know he feel the way he said bye. Yeah, my guy, Jess, man. He said, yo, love y'all. Bye feel the way he said bye. Yeah, my guy, Chess, man. He said, yo, love y'all. Bye. Goodbye. He said bye-bye. Bye-bye.
Starting point is 00:47:34 You're going through it when you say bye-bye. Absolutely. Oh, man, I feel bad now. Yeah. Well, they got smoked. They'll be just fine. But, yeah, I feel bad, too. I understand what he's saying.
Starting point is 00:47:45 Yeah, but it can affect you. And if it don't affect you, it could affect your team. Like you feel like your team, y'all work so hard. Even if the artists don't care because you condition yourself to not care or expect the worst. But your team might feel slighted. Like that's a lot of fucks you that goes on into that. Yeah, a lot of work. And from a business perspective, yeah, it adds a lot of value to your brand when do you have that next to it this is P from quality
Starting point is 00:48:08 control saying whoever's making the decisions at the Grammys you all disconnected like a motherfucker you don't speak for our culture congrats to all the nominees hashtag my turn album of the year like imagine how he feels busting his ass investing his money all this shit into little baby to have the best year ever and then this happened like I get it. Nicki, Nicki chimes in, never forget the Grammys
Starting point is 00:48:28 didn't give me my best new artist award when I had seven songs simultaneously charting on Billboard in a bigger first week than any female rapper in the last decade.
Starting point is 00:48:36 Went on to inspire an entire generation. They gave it to the white man Bon Iver. Hashtag Pink Friday. She is not wrong at all. I remember that one too. I do remember the Jay-Z Grammy shit that Justice spoke about.
Starting point is 00:48:49 Like, we've seen this a bunch. Yeah. Why do we expect these people to do things differently is beyond me. So with Kendrick early in his career, this isn't anything new. And even the Biebs is upset. Wait, what did the Biebs say? He said to the Grammys I'm flattered to be acknowledged and appreciated for my artistry I'm very meticulous and intentional
Starting point is 00:49:10 about my music with that being said I set out to make an R&B album changes was and is an R&B album it is not being acknowledged as an R&B album which is very strange to me not strange to me uh JB nor do I yeah I grew up admiring R&b music and wished to make a project that would embody that sound for this not to be put into that category feels weird considering from the chords to the melodies to the vocal style all the way down to the hip-hop drums that were chosen it is undeniably unmistakable an r&b album to be clear i absolutely love pop music and it just wasn't what i set out to make this time around my gratitude for feeling respected for my work remains and i'm honored to be nominated in
Starting point is 00:49:50 uh either way that was very well put this work beeps yeah should be well put when you white black a black dude could say that same polite message, and it's going to be, oh, he's salty. I don't know, Justin. He's salty as well, but this is well said. Yeah, he had enough features on his album to be R&B. Had he been in the R&B album of the year category, I would have been like, no. But that shouldn't pop. Because of who he is or because of the sound of the album?
Starting point is 00:50:24 Who he is. Who he is, number one. And it the album who he is who he is number one and it was more of an R&B I see what he's saying from that album if Taylor Swift puts out a rap album this year you're gonna call it
Starting point is 00:50:32 a rap album and yeah if she's rapping on it yeah then why wouldn't it be a rap album because it's her if the music is
Starting point is 00:50:38 if it's hip hop drums and melodies and samples and she's rapping that's a rap album she's not I wouldn't say she's a rapper, but it's a rap album.
Starting point is 00:50:47 If Scooter Braun has the rights to Taylor Swift, the MC. MC Swifty? That's good. Another big waiver wire mistake I made this year. Now that my fantasy season
Starting point is 00:50:59 is down the drain, all my waiver wire mistakes are highlighted like right in front of my eyes. That D Swift, the running back from Detroit. I saw him there.
Starting point is 00:51:09 Didn't do it. Look at me now. Look at me now. No artist development. Four and seven. Four and seven. That's the same record as the Giants, right?
Starting point is 00:51:20 What are the Giants? Three and eight? Three. That's somewhere there. I don't know. Not good. Not good. Right on, there. I don't know. Not good. Not good. Right on, Brian.
Starting point is 00:51:26 I know. So, yeah, man. Did we say West Side Paris? Because I thought that should have been nominated. That should have been nominated. It's one of the Griselda albums. Definitely should have been. I think that one specifically.
Starting point is 00:51:36 Fam, we are now 50 minutes in. It's over. Okay. It's over. Why don't you break down the AMAs for us? We don't care. I think all of Law should be here, too, Joe. I just don't think it made the cycle.
Starting point is 00:51:45 No, you submitted too late. I didn't submit, Roy. My bad, my bad. That's the only reason I didn't win. I like how you boycotted. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, so now I'm just not showing up no more. All right.
Starting point is 00:51:56 Just quickly, quickly, because they do do comedy albums and all that shit for Grammys, right? Yeah. I don't understand how podcasts are not. It's a recorded thing. I think that's... Wait, they made up a new category. Best melodic rapper. We breezed right over that one.
Starting point is 00:52:14 Best melodic rapper? Yeah, that should be in there. Rap is melodic. It should. I'm not mad at that. No, we spoke about this one. Oh, we didn't. On air, we didn't.
Starting point is 00:52:22 But yeah, my pick for this would probably be Rockstar. You're just going to pick Rockstar for everything, huh? That's a big fucking record. That's a big record. Roddy twice. And you relate to all the rock stars. DaBaby, St. John. Post Below.
Starting point is 00:52:38 You. Right there. See where Maul at? Right there. See where Maul at. You got reflectors on your sweats. You might be a rock star now. He wants to jog at night.
Starting point is 00:52:48 Maul is the hippest dressing single dude I've ever seen, man. This nigga really does it for himself. I do it for the people, too. Oh, not for the people, huh? My bad. Shut up, bro. Yeah. For the people.
Starting point is 00:53:03 Best melodic dresser. Hey, Rory. Relax, all right? No, Rockstar probably went that. And podcasts should be in this because it is a recorded platform. Agreed. I think that's coming soon.
Starting point is 00:53:16 It's not a streamed radio thing. This is recorded the same way anything else is. Listen, we got the BET Awards. But I understand. Give it to the Breakfast Club. Let me save myself. Yeah. NPR won that one for sure
Starting point is 00:53:27 Yeah Y'all keep shitting on people That probably really love y'all I love NPR Who am I shitting on? NPR I love NPR Yeah I listen to NPR
Starting point is 00:53:35 Look at my face I don't know This is a person who listens to NPR This is an NPR face for sure I don't know if Snow's album No she missed the I think she missed the cycle. She didn't submit? Yeah, she missed it. Didn't submit.
Starting point is 00:53:50 Alright, well, that's Grammy. It's Grammys for you. What's next? Same old shit, basically. But there was some good nominations. Oh, Saint is all nominated for Roses. Yeah, like a Best International Remix or something. Very specific. Yeah, I think he should win that one. for Roses. Yeah, like a Best International Remix or something very specific.
Starting point is 00:54:07 Yeah, I think he should win that one. That Roses remix was huge. All right, so. Snow, just keep getting mail. So Grammy night, damn right, you're going to get dressed up, right, Moe? No, Rory, I will not. I will have on pajamas. Okay.
Starting point is 00:54:19 Not getting dressed up at home, no. It's not Grammy night, damn right? No. Not at all. Not even close. But what would you wear? Who's this broad? That's Dua Lipa.
Starting point is 00:54:31 That's Dua Lipa? Come on, everybody knows Dua Lipa. No Dua. I wasn't looking there. Exactly. Exactly. Well,
Starting point is 00:54:42 play big, bro. Exactly. Listen, y'all pussy so my. The AMAs look like they got their categories right somewhat. What is the AMAs? And what is with mall support of the whites? No, we're just looking at the winners.
Starting point is 00:54:54 Is the AMAs the whites? I've never watched it. I don't know who the AMA is. It's for Americans. It's the American Music Awards, you guys. And it aired a few nights ago no I'm aware of that I just don't know who
Starting point is 00:55:07 like the committee the committee it's the Americans it's the same people that think there's fraud in the election same committee
Starting point is 00:55:14 they counted the votes twice yeah it's for the Americans by hand I didn't see this though me either haven't watched AMAs in 10 years I'm just announcing winners
Starting point is 00:55:22 artist of the year Taylor Swift okay new artist of the year announcing winners. Artist of the Year, Taylor Swift. Okay. New Artist of the Year, Doja Cat. Collaboration of the Year, Dan and Shay with Justin Bieber. Obviously. Favorite Social Artist, BTS.
Starting point is 00:55:37 Love behind the scenes. Favorite Music Video, Taylor Swift. Favorite Male Artist, Beats. Favorite Female Artist, Taylor Swift. Taylor Swift. Favorite female artist? Taylor Swift. Taylor Swift. Favorite album? Harry Styles.
Starting point is 00:55:52 Oh, you missed that favorite duo or group. BTS won again. BTS. Favorite song? Taylor Swift. Dupa Lupa. That was a big controversy amongst the AMA crowd.
Starting point is 00:56:06 That was Dua Lipa. Wait, I can crowd that was Dua Lipa wait I can't see don't start now I can't see where'd it go oh I'm sorry Dua Lipa Dua the I next to the L
Starting point is 00:56:13 makes it look like no no before E except Dua Lipa don't start now favorite male artist Kane Brown that's country music
Starting point is 00:56:24 oh favorite listen man it's American it's American it's American this. Kane Brown. That's country music. Oh, favorite. Listen, man. It's American. It's American. Check this out, Kane Brown. Hey, you want to know what's going on at the AMAs? You can Google it. WAP, one favorite hip-hop song. Wait, Fetty
Starting point is 00:56:40 WAP is back on the fucking chart? No, no, no. Cardi B and Megan's WAP. Favorite album, Roddy Ricch. Look at that. See? Oh, yeah. Another Rory Ox moment here. What you got for us?
Starting point is 00:56:57 Getting into my heritage, man. Just my children and my wife. This is a sick song. What is happening? It's a sick-ass song. This is a song you. What is happening? It's a sick-ass song. This is a song you hear when you walk in that gas station on I-95. This is when you're smoking fake name-brand cigarettes outside of the gas station in rural America. I just typed in Proud to be American.
Starting point is 00:57:16 Roy, can you turn this off? Please. You've got to drink Mountain Dew when you listen to that. Don't ever play a song again. Dick Clark created the American music. Oh, look at that. All right. Rest in peace to the proud of the American.
Starting point is 00:57:27 Did you maximize that? I didn't. Did you maximize that? All right, I'm done with the AMAs. I don't care. Google it. Oh, they just did it to clap back at CBS for getting the Grammys. That's what AMAs did?
Starting point is 00:57:41 Killed the clap back. That's why it was created, apparently, according to Wikipedia. Oh, so that was beef. This was built on beef. Yeah. Oh, we might have to start watching AMAs. That was the first versus? Yeah, the Grammys versus the AMAs.
Starting point is 00:57:54 Yeah, I'm cool. I'm cool on the AMAs. David Chappelle. Back again. He did it. Yet again. Listen, every time I think I come in here and there's absolutely nothing to talk about,
Starting point is 00:58:08 the universe just universes. That was just stuffing. There's raisins in there? Yeah. No, you can't do that. She was there for you at a vulnerable time. You should forever be grateful. You playing right now.
Starting point is 00:58:25 No, she was. I was a sick bunch of She was up to you When your foot was broke You shaping the narrative We were gonna talk about The Dave Chappelle Special The 20 minute special
Starting point is 00:58:33 He dropped on Instagram Addressing his Netflix release The Netflix release Of his show But then behind the scenes We got to talking about A young lady telling me
Starting point is 00:58:41 She was the reason I still have two feet In the text And I had no idea What the fuck She was talking about so I said yo the fuck are you talking about and then she reminded me she was the person that she wasn't a podiatrist and she stopped fucking with she stopped fucking me when I'll be on says album dropped well I mean It was one of those. Like, lemonade changed things for me. I hate when albums drop.
Starting point is 00:59:11 They give bitches strength. Yeah. And understanding. I can identify so much. I got to stop living like this. Oh, he's using me too. Well, I don't know. Did you listen to the outro?
Starting point is 00:59:20 She got back with him. No, they never make it that far. She never left dude. But yeah, she's talking about because she came over and allegedly took care of me when my foot was broken. There's no alleged. And here come you now.
Starting point is 00:59:32 She came over and she helped. She helped. She was a helping hand in time of need. That's all I'm saying. Is she the reason I have two feet? No, that's a stretch. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:59:39 I'm just saying she was a helping hand in time of need. And I appreciate it. Yeah, absolutely. As you should. You did what any friend should do. Absolutely. Stand up guy you are, Joe.
Starting point is 00:59:47 See, but I can't play with you like that, right? Who was there for me in the time of need? I never broke my foot. The birder. That was the only time you were in need? Yeah. As if you break your foot. I used to have some wild chicks come over for your needs.
Starting point is 01:00:00 Would you like me to share? No. Because I can't. I can't. Sometimes they were friends. It was a while. It was a while. I was like, oh, you didn't bring her with you this me to share? No. Because I can't. I can't. Sometimes they were friends. It was a while. It was a while. I was like, oh, you didn't bring her with you this time, huh?
Starting point is 01:00:11 Oh, you're alone this trip. Yeah, no. Yeah, no. All right. Come on. Let's get to it. Dave Chappelle. Dave is not telling jokes anymore at this point.
Starting point is 01:00:26 He's just going through a rough time. I love it. It's not a rough time. I think it's a prosperous time. Well, not rough in the sense of he's hurting. Rough in the sense of his art is being... Oh, sure.
Starting point is 01:00:41 Do y'all know chicks are sharing our dick pics? Yeah. I said that last week. You just got here? For real? Yeah. You got to send it to the right person and the other one that you really want to see it is here. So y'all have to wear that.
Starting point is 01:00:52 Y'all knew that. Yeah, you got to know who's in our group chat. I thought it was still like some sacredness between us. Oh, Joe send girls his dick pic and say, for your eyes only. You definitely the for your eyes only nigga. You want to mark your shit? He's sharing his little eyes only nigga. You want to mark your shit? Can you share this little secret with me? You want to mark your shit?
Starting point is 01:01:09 Yeah, you want to mark your shit. With the Shave Room logo, not his. Yeah. Yo, what is wrong with y'all, man? For your eyes only. For your eyes. You can't be that naive. Between me and you.
Starting point is 01:01:20 Joe, you put the cover your eye emoji before you send the dick pic? I can't believe I just sent this. Yeah, y'all are funny today. No, it just dawned on me that that was happening. I had no idea. Because that's what chicks are doing on the chatty house. They just posting nigga shit on apps.
Starting point is 01:01:37 Oh, shit. Oh, I didn't see that. Oh, no, that's going too far, ladies. No, come on now. That's where you draw the line? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Don't just start sending the nigga to the app. To the chat house?
Starting point is 01:01:47 Don't put my dick on the chatty house. Yeah, don't do that. Please don't do that. Especially after some of these other dicks y'all put up there. Please. Have some respect. Wait, wait. You bitches is nasty.
Starting point is 01:01:59 Wait, wait. I don't know what just happened. You felt a little intimidated? That's a nice one. I tried to get us away from it. I'm trying to throw it to Dave. No, listen, man. Joe enlarged the avi and was like, whoa.
Starting point is 01:02:21 I cannot compete. You can't compete with that guy. I understand why you be talking this way on the clubhouse. You're going to double back to me and talk about Joe, send it. No. I just saw your avi. Not now. It's like following up kids.
Starting point is 01:02:37 Where did you meet that man? I'm a good listener, though. Holy shit. What is wrong with y'all man that's funny I walked in the room the other day bitches start calling some nigga Curve Gotti
Starting point is 01:02:56 oh my okay I was like I'm leaving this is nasty and y'all are disgusting when I finally figured out what was happening
Starting point is 01:03:04 in her defense that's pretty funny. That's hilarious. Curve Gotti. That is disgusting. That's hilarious. All right. David Chappelle. David.
Starting point is 01:03:19 Oh, man. Dave Chappelle does it again. Yesterday afternoon, right before we came to this podcast, when there was nothing to talk about, Dave dropped some shit and the Grammy noms happened. Both of those things occurred and I was like, yes. So Dave did a 20 minute special that he dropped on his Instagram page. Where he addressed Netflix releasing the Dave Chappelle show. where he addressed Netflix releasing the Dave Chappelle show. And it was awesome.
Starting point is 01:03:51 I don't have a long diatribe for you guys to say, hey, I agree. Y'all know I agree. Look at Dave with the Greg Lauren on. Come on. He was getting the Greg. Come on. Come on. Come on.
Starting point is 01:03:58 Come on, man. Joe Sauce is everywhere out there. Or it's Greg Lauren Sauce. That's Joe Sauce. But it was good. It was good. It Greg Lawrence sauce. That's Joe sauce. But it was good. It was good. It was really good. Dave's a genius. Yada, yada, yada.
Starting point is 01:04:09 All the shit I come in here and say all the time. But man, was this great. And I do enjoy what the transition comedians are doing from telling jokes to telling stories. Like the good storytellers, I'm really feeling this. This was awesome. Yeah. You guys watched it? I did. feeling this. This was awesome. Yeah. You guys watched it? I did.
Starting point is 01:04:25 I did. And for those that haven't watched it, Dave kind of went through his journey from a young comedian up until the Chappelle show and discussed his deal with Comedy Central and how he kind of signed his life away. And then they went to Netflix, which is his partner now, which he's gotten a fair amount of money with. And they started streaming it along with HBO Max, and he said, fuck out of here. Y'all are stealing from me. I don't care that I signed that contract. That's my intellectual property.
Starting point is 01:04:52 You are not about to profit off of it without me. And Netflix, he said, was a great partner and said, we didn't know you felt that way. We will take it down right now. Well, no, even better than that, he said, this makes me feel like shit. Yeah. He didn't accost them. He said, this makes me feel like shit. Yeah. He didn't, you know, accost them.
Starting point is 01:05:06 He said, this makes me feel like shit. And we do business together. A few weeks ago, I came in here and said, that's odd. Yeah. I said, that's weird. It's strange that he would allow that to happen, especially after that Saturday Night Live when he made the joke, hey, I'm not getting paid for any of this stuff.
Starting point is 01:05:22 Yeah. I was like, oh, okay. I don't think he'll stand for that. He's too profitable. He's too important to Netflix. Yeah. I'm not getting paid for any of this stuff. I was like, oh, okay. I don't think he'll stand for that. He's too profitable. He's too important to Netflix. Yeah. He spoke about being on the right and wrong side of deals and just didn't matter that I signed it out of desperation
Starting point is 01:05:36 and it was fucked up and I didn't understand the language at the time being a 29-year-old father of an expecting child. I signed it because I needed to but today should you be able to make money off of my off of my creation in perpetuity and me not participate legally yes there's nothing wrong morally nah nah not at all doesn't feel the greatest he said he called his agent tried to see if there was anything that he could do. His agent said no, so he's coming to the fans.
Starting point is 01:06:08 Coming to the fans to say if we love him, if we care about him, if he's ever made us laugh, if he's ever brought us even a morsel of joy, that we should not watch the Dave Chappelle show on the DSPs that stream it. Until they share in... Until they pay him. Yeah until until they pay them yeah until they pay them now legally do they have to pay them no but it seems like you should
Starting point is 01:06:36 want to make this right yeah well yeah it shows the difference between a short-sighted yeah well yeah it shows the difference between a short-sighted quick money grab and a long-term relationship with a genius creator you know netflix has done what maybe four chapelle specials now three something like that yeah they've had they've had a run together um and have only said that they're going to continue i'd like to keep that person happy and make them said that they're going to continue, I'd like to keep that person happy and make them feel like they have a morally sound partner. So yeah, I'm not going to take the quick, short-sighted, let me throw the Chappelle show up on Netflix and stream it. No, I'd rather make the person that I want to continue on
Starting point is 01:07:16 with a business relationship with happy. It's just crazy. So yeah, let me take this down right away because that's a quick, short-sighted buck. We're trying to do business together for a long time I feel more like a genius
Starting point is 01:07:29 when I watch the geniuses and I understand them and that's the feeling I get every time I see Dave Chappelle it's a very narcissistic genius thing but I feel you
Starting point is 01:07:42 no I really do I mean it's a fact I get it even excluding the genius thing you know i related to a lot of this but like talking at the beginning about selling off a joke for 50 bucks and then talking about how he went on his first tour and came back with 60 bucks but his rent was paid like i've been there yeah i mean he did the same way a joke premise is set up without a joke yeah like he set up the premise and metaphor, if you will,
Starting point is 01:08:05 for everything that he's went through in his life from being 14 as a stand-up comedian to signing a huge deal with Comedy Central for one of the greatest shows of all time. And how those two things are connected and exactly alike. I don't want y'all to step on my amazing point that I'm making.
Starting point is 01:08:22 Because yes, you can understand what he's talking about when he's talking about it because that's the greatness of Dave Chappelle for sure I'm talking about understanding why it's done understanding why certain things are done and unless you get to the point where a network or anybody out there is coming to offer you that type of money 50 million dollars and it makes sense for you to walk away from it says something that's what i'm talking about the action yeah and i don't care how much all these clout chasing niggas out here talk that ain't
Starting point is 01:08:59 happening it's not that's not that's not that's not common practice. Yeah, people not walking away from that chat. All around the board. Like when he got into talking about the interests of the shareholders at different places, boy, did I feel him. And I don't have to tell you all I felt him because I did all my Spotify ranting. You've seen this documented. Go look it up. It's on YouTube. It's on Google. Google it.
Starting point is 01:09:29 YouTube it's on Google Google it um and he started talking about why he wouldn't go from maybe one place to another because it shouldn't matter if the plantation is treating you nicer over there like boy did I just relate and identify to so much of the shit that that he's saying and it sucks when the geniuses that we look up to all have this story. And it's being circulated now. Like, look how great you got to be to even have this story. Dave Chappelle, Viola Davis, Shonda Rhimes. The list goes on and on. Steve Harvey, Nick Cannon.
Starting point is 01:09:58 I do this all the time. I don't need to go down the list. Monique was one of the first ones. There's too many greats. There's too many greats. It's unfortunate, though, because you look at a guy like Dave Chappelle
Starting point is 01:10:10 and all he's accomplished and he's still having this type of fight. So if you're a young... Well, the fight is never ending. That's what I'm saying. So if you're a young creator, comic,
Starting point is 01:10:22 and you're coming up now, you're looking at a guy like Dave Chappelle, who's obviously your idol, if that's what you do. And it has to send a certain message like, damn, I'm in for a fight. Do you know how many deals we've,
Starting point is 01:10:34 all of us here, well, you probably don't, but I'll tell you. Do you know how many deals all of us here as a collective have almost had? Probably not because I don't come here and share it. Because like, yeah, but there's been a lot of them. And there's been a lot of them like that made sense. And there's been a lot of them that paid pretty well.
Starting point is 01:10:58 And there's been some of those marriages that had we took them. Boy, would we have shook the building? that had we took them, boy, would we have shook the building. There were some of these places where the entire universe there was excited about our arrival. And it only takes one investor, one shareholder to not get it,
Starting point is 01:11:21 to see things differently, to not sign off on the approval to not get why this shit should cost this much and guess what it's not my job to come explain it to anybody i'm not here to convince people the same way dave spoke about hbo streaming his shit and him uh pardon me about uh hbo streaming his shit and had the claws in there. Oh, no, him pitching the show. Him pitching the Chappelle show to HBO before Comedy Central and them turning it down. Saying, what do we need you for?
Starting point is 01:11:57 And then streaming the show. It's like you always got to go prove a concept for the people to figure out that they need you a little bit and then not want you to participate boy is it nasty it is nasty so sometimes you just got to say no to some shit because that's what feels correct but i mean that's why that's what leads you to sleep at night my bad go ahead that's that's why i like the chapelle story because i mean if you were around in oh four oh five or whenever that third season was starting chapelle show was the the greatest most craziest show on earth like it had every type of buzz you could think when it came to a tv show and he had 50 million dollar offer and he left said no then
Starting point is 01:12:40 they try to tarnish his name say he was smoking crack and went to Africa. All like just complete fucking lies. The stuff that they do. Yeah, the smear campaign. And usually how that story ends is it would be over for Dave Chappelle. And everyone would judge him and say, yo, you couldn't handle the pressure. You left when he was the hottest. Like, wow, what a disappointing story. That just proves that talent will always be greater than whatever Viacom or whatever company that exists. If it's combined with perseverance, because a lot of people will take this and hide away.
Starting point is 01:13:13 Oh, for sure. And Chappelle did and got his mind right and realized exactly what he wanted to do. And now, from my understanding of reports, I don't know what his pockets actually are, is doing insanely well money-wise and living the life that he wanted to live. He seems happier than ever. Yeah, but you never make a move based on the money. And a guy like Dave Chappelle, going back to when he- Oh, stop it.
Starting point is 01:13:35 They all are doing it. They all are making moves based off the money, Mark. No, I'm just saying the ones that are in a position where Dave Chappelle is. The top of the top. They don't do that anymore because it's not about that. Well, I'm sure because you are right. You shouldn't make moves based off money, desperation, whatever it is. But I can understand in season two, season three for him and getting $50 million, not just for you. Fuck thinking about you.
Starting point is 01:14:01 Your family. Your whole team. Your friends. Everyone that's involved, everyone that is employed by the show. Yeah, that's some pressure where maybe I'm not going to move for the money, but I might have to for everyone around me. My parents will be fine forever. My kids should be good. It's an easy decision I think a lot of people would make because so many of the people they care for would be taken care of at that point.
Starting point is 01:14:27 And that's a pressure that I don't take away from people when they have to make these decisions. I respect that he didn't, but I can totally see how someone could. No, absolutely. And some people do. But when you create an art and you're an artist and, you know... Even when you say that,
Starting point is 01:14:42 it sounds like you understate his genius. I can totally see how some people could. No, common what you're saying is normal i'm not saying it's not i'm just saying when you're an artist like dave is and someone puts a tag on your art and you know in your mind and your heart that this is worth way more than that it's easy for you to walk away from it because you understand it now people on the outside who work a nine to five and they're like shit i would have took it i would yeah that's why you are who you are and he is who he is he understands the value of his art he understands if you look at early dave chappelle series now shit he was doing years ago was relevant today yeah you know
Starting point is 01:15:21 what i'm saying so it's like he's an artist that understands that sure 50 million is a lot of money not what i'm worth though not what i'm worth yeah i agree i'm saying not what i'm worth that's a more difficult decision than i think people and it was probably other stipulations maybe this is what i'm worth but i don't want to do it with you right oh that too that's another what i mean like yeah that too because because I guess my point more is the Monday morning quarterback shit. Now, 17 years later after the Chappelle show, I see everyone like, yeah, Dave, he didn't take that. That's what I would have done, this and that. Nah, y'all are making this sound a lot easier than you think it is because you've never been offered $50 million.
Starting point is 01:16:01 I know we've seen 17 years later can't speak 17 years later how he's prospered through that entire thing but that's not an easy decision as a 30 year old with a kid with a family with a staff with a fam like a parents like yeah yeah that's a tough decision to make i know everyone thinks that they now because independence is champion so much and i love that but it also adds on that fact that everyone thinks that they now because independence is champion so much and I love that but it also adds on that fact that everyone's like
Starting point is 01:16:27 yeah now I turned down the 100 mil because I know. No you don't. You've never been offered that. Yeah that's another thing too. Some people say yeah I would have took that
Starting point is 01:16:34 but you would have took less. Some people would have took five. I think 99% of the people would have taken the Spotify deal they offered us. I know I'm waiting for people to say
Starting point is 01:16:43 that Dave Chappelle is a bad businessman and negotiator. Nobody's going to say that. Somebody know. I'm waiting for people to say that Dave Chappelle is a bad businessman and negotiator. Nobody's going to say that. Somebody should. No, because they've seen the results. That's why I'm saying this Monday morning quarterback shit. The same people that said after the whole Spotify shit we went through and had choice words for it,
Starting point is 01:16:56 in 2004 they would have said the same shit about Chappelle. Well, Dave Chappelle is saying the same thing. When he got to that part about, hey, you guys go downstairs to accounting. You look at what you earned, and then you look at what you paid me. Boy, did I feel that in my soul. I felt that spiritually. See, because I never ask for the numbers anywhere. I don't need to ask y'all for the numbers because I'm an impact guy.
Starting point is 01:17:21 I'm a culture guy. No, I feel it when it's happening. I don't have to go. Y'all go look at the numbers. You'll never show them to me. You'll never show them to us. You go look at them and do your own due diligence and do the right thing. You think they ever come back and do the right thing?
Starting point is 01:17:39 I sit on the phone for hours with these guys. Executives, high-level executives. And they say, well say well hey if it's not the money that that dictates how you move then what is it and i tell them straight up every time hey i'm on the side of what's right and wrong i just need to know who's evil i'm not telling you what to do i just need to know who's evil well what do you mean uh what do you mean evil who's the evil people oh no no no white people don't trick me that way because i'm not talking about white people i'm talking about evil people because if i make you a hundred million and you won't give me three we off we way off and in the
Starting point is 01:18:17 bigger lesson here the bigger lesson with dave or the lesson, because I think last week I came in here and said, man, if y'all just stop, if y'all just sit and try to be creative and stop trying to buy your way to a fucking dime every time, you might think of something. So here comes Dave to say to his partner, big, big, big corporation with all the money. Hey, when you're doing this and it makes me feel uneasy and uncomfortable i don't feel good about it dave the creator the company recognizing how important that is says we got you don't worry about it take it down don't matter how profitable it is they take it down you know what that means to me all that shit he was uh leading up to an end it sounds like he's saying hey either this is going to happen or i'm just going to come with a new show. I'm going to recreate my show and I'm going to bring it.
Starting point is 01:19:07 Stop playing with me. It's mine. I'm the creator. Now, wait, wait, Maul. What happens when Dave Chappelle today in all his newfound notoriety and fame and stardom and geniusness recreates his show with this turmoil
Starting point is 01:19:23 and brings it to his business partner who understood the value and making sure that the creator feels good. We will support it. That's the part that these companies keep missing. Hey, right here. Bring it in. That's the part. I'm not going to tell you all to value that because if you don't know how to value it, it ain't my job to teach you.
Starting point is 01:19:42 And I don't need to be well-versed in tech to get that. I like to throw that word. I don't need to be well-versed like this is a moral clause thing. Anywhere I am, I want to know how y'all feel about black people, how y'all treat black people, and if you're for the betterment of black people. Shout out to all my black people out there. Simple. people shout out to all my black people out there simple and I'm having that conversation all around the fucking board it's a shame it's sickening how many white people I have to have this conversation with it's sickening how many of my black geniuses I got to see say they have the exact same struggle
Starting point is 01:20:20 and dilemma what was my other point about uh a home a home a home a home a home damn i had a point about a home i wonder if it oh what happens when that show drops on netflix tell me it goes insane oh yeah we support it the internet breaks like a jt picture dropped absolutely absolutely and that's the thing the people don't understand dave he's one of those people that people genuinely love and support they will follow him they will support him we trust him trust it's like back in the day some movies used to come out and and talking about it you know the next what the blockbusters come out and talking about it, you know, the next one, the blockbusters come out, the next question is, well, who's in it?
Starting point is 01:21:06 And depending on who was in it, sometimes you could say, oh, he don't take a bad role. Yeah. Oh, he's great with the scripts. Yeah. The writing might be, the act,
Starting point is 01:21:16 this one is going to, all-star cast. Sometimes, depending on the name said, you knew the business that was attached. That's where Dave is for me right now when you see
Starting point is 01:21:26 him it's a moment when you see him it's important he didn't have to say a word i think he chain smoked in this shit i loved it but when you see him he has something to say i love it man i dm'd him on instagram did you respond no I just did it two hours ago. Oh, okay. Geniuses keep geniusing. Boy, was he inspiring to me. And watching my fellow brethren get fucked. And going to the fans. It's awesome, man. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:21:56 I don't know if this is comedy. I don't know if it's comedy. What a storyteller this guy is. It's art. Yeah. It's art. He. It's art. He's one of the most, he might be the most
Starting point is 01:22:06 important artist that we have right now. He's top of the list for sure. I can't think of someone who I, every time, will click no matter what
Starting point is 01:22:15 and have not been disappointed for this long. Yeah. No, it's consistency. No matter what he's doing. Because even with the George Floyd thing he did on... Was that on YouTube or on IG?
Starting point is 01:22:29 I think it was YouTube. Yeah, of where it wasn't... This isn't a comedy bit. I'm just a really intelligent person with an amazing point of view that needs to be heard right now. Like, the things I would do as a company just to be in his good graces.
Starting point is 01:22:43 Right. See, but that's a luxury that he's afforded. He's worked himself there. Like. And took the risk to be there. Yeah, everyone is not afforded this type of privilege. And even though he's in this position of getting fucked, there's still a little bit of privilege attached. There's also the leverage that a company
Starting point is 01:23:05 will know you'll leave. We know Dave turning down that $50 million from Comedy Central. We know Dave will leave. So you need to keep me happy. There's plenty of people that have been in business forever and how they want to do business is their business.
Starting point is 01:23:21 But companies do know they're not going to leave. We'll give them an extra mil and they'll be fine fucking creators do it but they never leave dave has that leverage of that it's not even a mystique it's a fact dave will leave here if he's not happy you better keep him happy if you want to be in business with him i think that comes from taking a risk i think bigger than that not only will he leave i think he's proven that i'll leave and i will be even better and bigger than i was when i left here just fucking fine so you know yeah companies definitely should keep dave and happy it's not about money it's about it sounds it all sounds familiar yeah Yeah. Damn it.
Starting point is 01:24:06 It's a reoccurring story. It all sounds familiar is how it sounds to me. I just told Ian a few days ago. I said, Ian. I said, as crazy as this is going to sound, boy, am I happy that I've walked away from all of these millions and millions of dollars. Not because it wouldn't be nice to have them, but just because it's important to let the evil people know or the other people know that you will.
Starting point is 01:24:35 Yeah. Yeah. You got to feel good about what you're doing. It's like when they keep telling Ben Simmons to take the jump shot. Shoot it. Just shoot it. It don't matter if you miss it. Airball.
Starting point is 01:24:44 70 airballs in a row we just need to know you'll do it they don't see that enough yeah i'm i'm proud of that i am you got to let somebody know that they can't punch you in the face when that whole the whole history in business which you talked about a little bit too, is just punching you in the face, doing whatever the fuck they want, acting like you had their back in mercy. No, no, no, no, no, no. This is the discount that I'm showing you. It's not for you to chop it in half. Because that's what's normal after I say something, you say something, you chop it in half, you bring it back to me.
Starting point is 01:25:19 Now I bring it up halfway into that. And now you bring it down with a new clause over there with a new property that doesn't exist yet. Nigga, what? No. up halfway into that and now you bring it down with a new clause over there with a new property that doesn't exist yet so nigga what no yo it's so normal in that world that half yo and there's a such thing as negotiation fatigue now i'm on a rant what absolutely i'm on a rant now you have driven me so crazy for the last six months of nonsense that now I'm looking at Ian saying, man, just get something done. That's it. I'm just tired. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:25:48 I'm just tired of going back and forth with people. I always have to embrace myself before a day of negotiation. I need to clear my schedule. I need to chill out, get a pack of cigs, whatever,
Starting point is 01:25:59 do whatever I got to do, go work out, get in the zone because I know it's going to be exhausting. It might be an hour conversation. The habits and the verbiage be so nuts. Midway through the process, you'll scratch your head like, am I off?
Starting point is 01:26:14 Are they right? One of the biggest negotiation tactics is to do the months of just bullshit, and then you finally feel like you're getting to a place and say there's a deadline. The week of or a few days before they will completely change everything knowing that you're exhausted it's like yo let's just get this shit done right that's that's a standard 101 negotiation shit let's change everything 24 hours before this deadline because i know they'll take
Starting point is 01:26:38 it because they're exhausted and just want to get it done that's a standard negotiation tactic you'll talk to and then you'll see things and then you see things through the process. They'll smack the shit out of you again because they say and do things that basically say to you, you have nothing. You have nothing and you come from nothing. Why wouldn't you take this? why wouldn't you take this? Because some of us, pardon me,
Starting point is 01:27:11 are not just cool with getting fucked in the ass with no lube. Some of us are not just moving that way. If you don't have enough fiber. They didn't even use lube on you, my guy? They had a, yes. They didn't even get you wet? They had a glove. I feel like we already got two Clonics in a week before. And now I don't remember where I was,
Starting point is 01:27:32 but it doesn't matter. It doesn't matter because y'all don't need a long rant from us. We stand on this. And this type of move ain't for anybody either. Some of you niggas
Starting point is 01:27:42 take what they offer. Some of you niggas can't just be throwing the office upside down. No, that's what you're worth. Take that. More is not wrong. Yeah. Yeah. Some of you are worth what they put on the table.
Starting point is 01:27:53 Yeah. Some of y'all shouldn't fuck yourselves over. Yeah. Take that deal. I think that's important. Because a lot of y'all are smoking mirrors. Yeah. Y'all not really talented.
Starting point is 01:28:03 But that's neither here nor there. Yeah. Watch this Chappelle thing on his Instagram. It's 20 minutes. We even left out some of the great parts. I don't want to completely ruin it because I think that standard practice thing with hiring his lawyers and everyone being on the same team is a whole nother conversation that we could really get into right now. A lot of y'all that used to yell at Meg the Stallion, why didn't you just get a lawyer, should watch this. And us. Because everybody is, yeah, that too.
Starting point is 01:28:28 Everybody is on the same team. That standard practice is even good for your lawyer that has your best interest because they keep working. Yeah. And then to see what Dave became, man, man. Well, not what he became because he's always been this, like he said, he started out great. Definitely did. Like being great at 15 or however old he was, man.'s always been this, like he said, he started out great. Definitely did. Being great at 15 or however old he was, man. Dave is just such an inspiration to me.
Starting point is 01:28:50 Dave, Dave, call me, man. Like, what the fuck? Enough is enough. Call me too, Dave. Hold on, where's my phone? All right, maybe I am number one on the industry list. Do you have his number? Where's my phone?
Starting point is 01:29:02 No, but I only feel like, look at Erickson thinking we're about to get a juicy moment. A juicy moment. Don't ever tell Erickson we're about to get a juicy moment. Erickson, you set up the red camera just now? They're calling Dave, set up the red. No, I don't have Dave Chappelle's number. Don't think that I'm that awesome. I'm not.
Starting point is 01:29:23 But we're only ever a few steps away from anyone. Just call Donnell. That's exactly what I'm doing. My good guy, Ash E. Larry. Nah, shout out to Donnell. Oh, man. Where the fuck is Ash E. Larry's number? I guess you could call Syph.
Starting point is 01:29:39 Oh, fuck. Let's see. Bong, bong, bong, bong. Doo-doo-doo. Oh, I don't have that either. Well, I don't have it. Not as industry as we thought. Don't worry about it. Let's see. Bong, bong, bong, bong. Doo-doo-doo. Oh, I don't have that either. Well, I don't have it. Not as industry as we thought. Don't worry about it.
Starting point is 01:29:49 Uh-huh. Still last on the list. I'm blessed. No, you're not. I was going to call Ashy Larry, man. But Dave, answer my DM. Call me. Text me.
Starting point is 01:30:00 I'm waiting up. And I don't even know what I need to say. That's on my bucket list. I have to talk today. I was going to say, have you ever met him and ever had a conversation? I don't think so. Yeah, you guys should sit down for sure. I don't think so.
Starting point is 01:30:15 There's been a few times where people invited me to where he was, and I couldn't be there. Or, like, he was inviting everybody to the ranch out there, making them take the COVID test. I didn't really there or like he was inviting everybody to the ranch out there making them take the COVID test. I didn't really look forward to that. I don't know. I mean.
Starting point is 01:30:32 I know. I know. I know. It's protocol. It's the proper thing to do but it doesn't make you rush to someone's home number one.
Starting point is 01:30:39 Two, I don't think I was invited anyway. Well, that's always the deal. Dave, invite me to that Ohio ranch. That's what I got. We should pot out there.
Starting point is 01:30:49 I said me. See, we're trying to get snuck in again. I'm not sneaking you into a ranch. It's a strong play. I like it. I just like Ohio, Joe.
Starting point is 01:30:59 Love the beautiful state of Ohio. Who likes Ohio? It's a swing state. It's important. My last catfish that got me was in Ohio. What likes Ohio? It's a swing state. It's important. My last catfish that got me was in Ohio. What part?
Starting point is 01:31:07 Yeah, catfish. Yeah, I met a little hottie. Oh, I thought you meant that. I met a little hottie on the internet. Said she lived in Cleveland. Thought I'd never be there until I was strolling by on tour one time. And I said, hey, come outside. And she's like, ah.
Starting point is 01:31:21 I got you. Don't worry about it. Don't worry about it. I'm going to just head to LA. That's where I was going anyway. anyway no we're heading to Akron that's a sick tour Ralph Cleveland to LA that was a good tour run
Starting point is 01:31:33 the old Cleveland run did you meet the catfish I didn't well maybe I did actually no then she deleted her page she got caught I wasn't even mad at her
Starting point is 01:31:44 I kept following the fake page. I was like, all right, you look good, bitch. I don't have to meet you. Wherever you're pulling these photos from. Whoever this is is nice. Yeah, get your shit off. I still enjoy seeing this person. Whoever this is looks great.
Starting point is 01:31:55 I hope she keeps up with the content. You have good taste. Oh, man. Take Dave off, man, before I get riled up again. I don't want to get riled up. That was awesome. But you do feel that you're not number one on the list
Starting point is 01:32:06 our industry list yeah yeah we had this talk already where yeah no we've had a lot i'm not i am not number one on the industry list by my gauge because i go off of our souls i think in your little soul, you really want to be in the industry. Do you really want to fight? I think in Park's little white soul, well, Park's tall white soul, well, Park's,
Starting point is 01:32:30 I got to figure out where he is on the list. I'm at the last. Maul has industry in his core. He started Rockefeller. He's before me. He is. You and Rory are before me.
Starting point is 01:32:41 You just asked Dave. I just kind of want to be home and chill. You just asked Dave. And I don't know, Park's might be after me because he kind of just want to be home and chill too. But you want to be home and mix records. So you should be before me. I want to be home doing nothing.
Starting point is 01:32:51 No, you want to be at Dave's house. I want to go to Dave's house. Yeah. I don't. Is that a point to get me on? Yes. That's a three-pointer, actually. And if we had the real conversation, we had off mic, you would be living.
Starting point is 01:33:04 Dave is part of the greatest comedian living. Yeah, but you don't say publicly, call me. I want to come to your home. yes that's a three pointer actually and if we had the real conversation we had off mic you would be losing yeah but you don't say publicly call me I'm gonna come to your home the fuck is wrong with you will your children sleep the fuck is wrong with just thinking of it
Starting point is 01:33:16 just don't listen to me to call you on a podcast sick we have a lot of reach no that's true so how should I no but that's why you use it. And you just last week, yo, the demon time.
Starting point is 01:33:28 I'm not with all that good words. Have power. Like when you say the words, the universe may come back. Now you're clowning me for utilizing that. I'm just saying. I'm a mature counter. I'm a mature counter. I'm just speaking to the industry conversation of who's more industry.
Starting point is 01:33:40 I am utilizing my words to will things to fruition, Maul. You want a date with a man? No, I want to go there and see something. No, not even a date. You want to go right to the crib. I want to go there and see something.
Starting point is 01:33:51 I want to go snoop around the ranch. Maybe I'll do like I did at Puff's and go to sleep in the bathroom outside for two hours, lock myself in there and have a blast. Dave's probably got good wine, too.
Starting point is 01:34:04 Oh, man. Good weed. That Puff shit over there, too. Oh, man. Good weed. That puff shit over there, man. Look, look at y'all trying to make me number one again. I'm out of here. All right, what else do we have to get to? What else is super important out here? Rest in peace, David Dinkins, man.
Starting point is 01:34:17 Oh, yeah. Rest in peace, David Dinkins. Mayor Dinkins. First African-American mayor of New York. Mm-hmm. Wow. Did it say how Dave passed? We're showing our age, man. I'm not sure.
Starting point is 01:34:30 He was 93. Yeah, I don't think it said officially, but certainly rest in peace. Rest in peace to Billy Evans as well, yes? Yes. Rest in peace. They're not telling us cause of death there as well. And 21 Savage's brother was murdered. And I just hope we can all make it out of the year safe,
Starting point is 01:34:56 like through the next month, one month left. This has been a really morbid year, man. Prayers, thoughts, love, and condolences to 21 Savage, his family, friends, loved ones. That's just sad. Yeah, that. Prayers, thoughts, love, and condolences to 21 Savage, his family, friends, loved ones. That's just sad. Yeah. That is sad. A lot of death.
Starting point is 01:35:11 A lot of death. Prayers to the family, for sure. So I saw a video of Jim Jones and French Montana being friendly. They were in the same space using the same slang. French Jones. All right. The Coke boys. Mm hmm.
Starting point is 01:35:31 Five. Yeah. CB five is the name of it. Mm hmm. I liked it. Um, and I'll be honest with y'all that this, this reconciliation of Jim and French warms my heart.
Starting point is 01:35:45 Like I paused and I stared at that video for a long time. As somebody that was present in New York when that beef was going on, no need for me to talk about how active it was, but please believe it was active. Like, see you on the street driving by active. That's as much as I'll say. So to see this unification from new york acts that was once at odds the way that they were at odds man i'm so super happy for these brothers yeah i like
Starting point is 01:36:13 it and it felt good to see um also the same with fab and jim now that i think about it yeah yeah just i think this one was a little more publicized with how crazy it was well that was that wasn't rap shit jim and uh french the fab shit though i'm saying like jim and jim and fab is on double dates together now getting older they in miami together like but that's the shit that pardon me that's the shit that should be highlighted in our culture when these dudes just age and mature and evolve in front of our very eyes. I remember calling Fab in a story that I shouldn't share many, many, many, many years ago. And I had this great idea of doing a song with him and Jim because I was such a big Jim fan and a Fab fan. It was New York. They were the two. And Fab was like, me and Jim.
Starting point is 01:37:04 And he didn't say nothing, but all he said was me and Jim, kind of, you know. It's a little tension. That was it. Yeah. That was all he said. So to see this type of brotherly love and frolicking in Miami with our wives, our longtime girlfriends, we buy the pool. No, I think they're in Aruba. Yeah, they were in Aruba.
Starting point is 01:37:22 Wherever they are, it's awesome. I'm sorry. I was just at that same flamingo farm they was at. Oh, talk your shit, Rory. The flaming Aruba. Yeah, they were in Aruba. Wherever they are, it's awesome. I'm sorry. I was just at that same Flamingo farm they was at. Oh, talk your shit, Rory. The Flamingo farm. Come on, man. You don't recognize that Flamingo farm? That's your bad.
Starting point is 01:37:31 Yeah, I didn't. I didn't. Thank God Rory is here to point it out for me. I saw Halim was down there. Everyone's in Aruba for some reason. Not for some reason. I'm sure they're shooting something. They're there for the Flamingos.
Starting point is 01:37:41 No, it was Fab's, what was it, birthday? Birthday that he didn't invite us to Come on FABO Don't do that FABO Come on don't do that The sport Sports
Starting point is 01:37:49 Wiz Yeah Don't do that man Next year COVID It was like only nine people Aruba was great with the COVID too I see what he did
Starting point is 01:37:59 But it got me to thinking What other beefs do we need to see squashed? Not beef like the real street rappers shooting at one another, but like what other blemishes that we came up on do we need to see squashed? Like Wayne and Birdman kind of are resolved. We've seen a lot of reconciliation. Only one's left. 50 a game are kind of resolved. Have they spoken? Yeah, they was close. We've seen a lot of reconciliation. Only one's left. 50-50 a game. 50-50 a game are kind of resolved.
Starting point is 01:38:26 Have they spoken? Yeah, they was at the club together. They're kind of resolved. They're as resolved as you can be with 50. Yeah, if they're not, they're one or two people away from being resolved. No, they're good. They go out together. But I just think they're both extremely petty,
Starting point is 01:38:42 so they won't advertise it the same way other people will. I think maybe all we have left would be Hov and Dame. I don't know that we'll ever see that. I'll never say never. Maybe Drake and Ye. Which I think that'll come. Other than that, we've run out of hip-hop beefs that need to be squashed.
Starting point is 01:39:01 That's kind of a good thing. That are not actual real. Yeah, real beefs. I'm not talking about that. I'm a podcast host. I know. I'm not actual real. Yeah, real beefs. I'm not talking about that. I'm a podcast host. I know. I'm not trying to get involved in the street stuff.
Starting point is 01:39:09 I agree. Yeah, I'd have to think, but there are many of just like pointless rap tiffs. Shit that don't matter. Because a lot of this shit happened when these guys were young, man. It's like everybody older now,
Starting point is 01:39:21 kids, engaged or married. You ain't beefing no more. What are we doing? This happened when we was 24 years old. Yeah. We're not doing that anymore. But it is good to see, though. No, it's great to see.
Starting point is 01:39:32 Like, Jim and French, you know, if you're from New York, you understand exactly how, you know, far back this tension goes and things that were happening around it. So, for this, this is a… No, this wasn't tension. A little past tension. Yeah, this was way past tension. But it's good to see, though.
Starting point is 01:39:52 It's real good to see. Yeah, congratulations to these men, man. Honestly, I feel good about that. Congratulations to Elon Musk as well. Oh, my God. To Elon Musk as well. He is officially the second wealthiest man ever, right? Or in the country, if not ever.
Starting point is 01:40:07 Is that true? I was going to say. In the world? In the country. I don't know. No disrespect. I don't read that. In the country?
Starting point is 01:40:13 Come on, man. Is he number two? Jeff Bezos being one? Yes. He's number two, okay. Elon Musk is now tied with Bill Gates as the world's second richest man. Well, there's that. All right.
Starting point is 01:40:25 Congratulations. When's the subway hitting LA? He's going to get us all to Mars. And I'm going to spark a cig. Sparking a cig on Mars. Sparking a cig on Mars. You'll definitely want to be the first nigga to smoke a cig on Mars. Let's really test out the air up here, buddy.
Starting point is 01:40:42 See what's going on. Should blow up the whole planet. What else is important that we need to get to? The undoing. The undoing. Yes. Is everyone caught up? Yes.
Starting point is 01:40:52 One episode left. Well, I don't know if the people listening are, but. I don't care. Sorry. I don't care about you guys. Spoiler alert. We're here to talk about it. Y'all watch that shit on your own time or fast forward through this part right here.
Starting point is 01:41:04 But the undoing is doing they're doing undoing things it's undoing right before our very eyes the doing is on that show was so good I did go look up
Starting point is 01:41:12 the word undoing like I was trying to get a clue as to alright man who might have did it what are they undoing who did this
Starting point is 01:41:19 so now if you saw the end of the last episode we won't mention it here because we're kind. You probably think the little boy did it like Maul, right? Like me. I didn't think the little boy did it. Oh, wait.
Starting point is 01:41:32 No, you with me. I think he did it. Parks thinks the little boy did it. I've been saying that for a while. You think one of the little boys. It don't even matter. Any child. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:41:39 Rory, what side of the fence are you on here? I'm still sticking with my theory that- It's her and she's- That might be giving the writers too much credit. Schizo? Sch schizo schizophrenic yeah and i think she's actually the side chick um i think or i have two theories she was actually the side chick uh and killed her or she was in a relationship with shorty and found out she was fucking dude and killed her because of that because she was way too comfortable naked uh in the gym she kissed her. I think they may have been in a relationship in her psychotic brain. The son don't know
Starting point is 01:42:09 that that's in there, that thing he found. Somebody put that in his closet. I don't know if it was dad. I don't know if it was the mom. But what I love about this show
Starting point is 01:42:20 is at the end, whoever they try to make you think it is, they dispel that shit within the first two seconds of the next episode. away yeah i know let me tell you what happened oh okay i was wrong i i do have a theory that that her father is actually just her doctor um i would be so mad if it was right by the way i'm kind of i'm just kind of throwing shit at the wall these are far fetched uh uh theories either their
Starting point is 01:42:45 relationship is not father daughter it's it feels like doctor patient and her having this uh idea that she was a therapist and that gay couple as client so you do think this is gonna go shutter island fight club maybe okay maybe i'm not probably totally wrong i'm not off of the white lawyer friend she just my mom tried to make me Get off of it by saying She's a wild card You know she's a lawyer right Yeah but
Starting point is 01:43:09 I don't think a lawyer Would ever commit such a crime Like I said ma No the only The only reason why Lawyers are murder It's television Yeah but no the only reason
Starting point is 01:43:16 Why I think I say her Because I go back to the episode When she first walked in the courtroom And the way that The The woman that died The way the husband Looked at her When she walked in Like he looked at her In the the woman that died the way the husband looked at her
Starting point is 01:43:25 when she walked in like he looked at her in a way and she even said on the phone like he just gave me a death stare like it's like why would you look at her like that and i'm not i'm not off of that stare she gave when shorty was breastfeeding episode one either yeah yeah that's true there might be a beef there that we haven't learned about just yet. I've exonerated the Spanish husband-boyfriend guy. Yeah, too obvious. I'm off of them. And if it's him, I'll be angry.
Starting point is 01:43:59 Do you guys have any theories on why the father is always sitting looking at that painting in that place? Have you ever seen any Donald Sutherland movie in the last 30 years where he didn't do something weird and psychotic like that. No, I'm just asking if you have an opinion of how it's connected to anything. He's into the arts, Rory. Okay. He's a pianist. Shorty was a painter. Everyone keeps finding him there and he's doing the same painting. Shorty was a painter. There's something here.
Starting point is 01:44:20 Y'all dismissing that point is a little odd to me. You think the father was smashing it too? It wouldn't shock me he did say he cheated on his wife maybe stop somebody
Starting point is 01:44:31 if the wife was following the husband cause I like how the husband pulled up like yo what you doing over there now that I'm out we by the water
Starting point is 01:44:42 like that's a little odd don't you think he was following me well quickly there too which is why my point of her kind of making this entire thing up I got time to think. Now that I'm out, we by the water like, that's a little odd, don't you think? He was following me? Well, quickly there too, which is why my point of her kind of making this entire thing up. As soon as he was bailed out, TMZ was in the front, every camera ever, this huge crowd.
Starting point is 01:44:53 Then all of a sudden, they're walking on the East River with not a single soul noticing them, and now they're hugging and talking about the trial? Yeah, yeah. You making this shit up in your head. They found a low spot. Then I thought the mom and the son it's not a low spot
Starting point is 01:45:05 nowhere over here I thought I thought the mom and the son might be in cahoots until my mom said yeah but the mom didn't know
Starting point is 01:45:12 that the boy saw them so no like my mom keeps trying to debunk my theories this is what I think if sure
Starting point is 01:45:21 if the wife if Nicole Kidman was following Hugh R. Grant and saw him busting it down or she was having an affair so she was going to get hers off or she was buying art because she keeps having flashbacks that we can't see. Someone was following her. I'm mad at that. Now, I no longer think it's the kid.
Starting point is 01:45:40 Could be the lawyer. And I'm still stuck with the dad. it might be the dad or the lawyer those are my final two options I need final two options on all of you uh damn how do I just leave out the mom I think it was either Hugh Gray or the son I think it was either Nicole Kidman or the lawyer her friend I think Nicole Kidman or the father. Her father. Her father, yeah. All right. The votes are in. We'll see this weekend.
Starting point is 01:46:10 Stop the count. It might be. Yeah, I'm with you. I'm with you. I'm with you now. Now that I'm thinking on second thought, I don't know. Yeah, nah, I'm sticking with that, though. It's a good show.
Starting point is 01:46:23 I'm so conflicted. I hate when life happens and it pits me against some of my own beliefs. I come in here so many times and I say, yo, man, these fucking writers, they don't get right to it. They drag it out. It's a series. We just want to sink into the shits. Challenge yourselves. Then we get a show like this that comes out, yo, just six episodes. We're challenging you every episode.
Starting point is 01:46:42 I was like, why isn't it longer? You could have dragged this out a little bit. i don't know how i feel about i'm all over the place six episodes i love i like no not only that six episodes an hour is my i feel like this might have was supposed to be a movie i could see this because theaters are closed they just used more film edited it and just made it a miniseries. Yeah, this could be shot as a movie. These are movie actors. This is Sutherland. This is Kidman, Hugh Grant. This is not HBO miniseries actors.
Starting point is 01:47:12 This is like Hollywood A-list actors. That's true. But they do have a, I think the director or producer also does Big Little Eyes. Is that what it is? With also Nicole Kidman on HBO. So there's a thing there. And I do like that a lot of the bigger actors and actresses have kind of given in to the times.
Starting point is 01:47:31 Like, it's okay now to do a TV series that may be on HBO or on Netflix or something streaming. Like, it's not belittling to your career the way it used to be. Like, wait, you're going to do TV now? You were a movie star. Now we fuck with TV now. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:47:45 But yeah, this was shot like a movie star. Now we fuck with TV now. Yeah. Yeah. But yeah, this was shot like a movie, Mo. Yeah, it was. Absolutely. It feels like a movie. Absolutely. But TV's been trending in that direction for a while. Sure.
Starting point is 01:47:55 I don't know. They got an hour to give us a lot of shit. I'm hoping that the finale is two hours at least. I would like that, too. We'll see. Yeah, I'm not mad at that that would be awesome wait till they
Starting point is 01:48:06 Night of Us and it's a hung jury and everyone gets off and then we just don't know you gotta figure out who did it yourself don't bring that up again I hated that
Starting point is 01:48:14 cause they really had the potential to do some great things and the ending just got to nigga what the fuck let us figure it out ourselves like who do you think oh I hate it
Starting point is 01:48:22 nah the same way I hated the Sopranos ending I like now the same way I hated the Sopranos ending, I like now. The same way I hated the Night Of ending, I like now. They better not do this with the undoing, though.
Starting point is 01:48:30 I like the Night Of ending. Have you guys been doing Fargo or no? Nah, still. No, he keeps telling me to watch it, but I haven't. It's good. No, a lot of people are telling me to watch it.
Starting point is 01:48:37 It's real good. And they're going beyond 10 episodes, which I thought was interesting. I thought this was going to be the finale, and then it's like, oh, no, there's a whole new shit.
Starting point is 01:48:43 All right, cool. How's Chris Rock doing? He's bodied it. Okay. Yeah. Who was going to be the finale, and then it's like, oh, no, there's a whole new shit. All right, cool. How's Chris Rock doing? He's bodied it. Okay. Yeah. Who wins the Joe Budden-Will Smith versus? Will Smith. See?
Starting point is 01:48:54 Joe, I love you. That was fast. Will Smith. Have you ever got jiggy with it? I don't know that Will Smith beats me in a versus. Parents just don't understand might be pumping up. It wouldn't. It wouldn't. See, it's blasphemous. That's why I don't have you talk to him. Parents just don't understand might be Pump It Up it wouldn't it wouldn't see it's blasphemous
Starting point is 01:49:06 that's why I have you talk to him parents just don't understand though but that's a that's a strong number two down to Miami or whatever that record was well third really Summertime was up there
Starting point is 01:49:14 somewhere too yeah Will Smith gets you and he has the Fresh Prince intro too I love really Summertime and Pump It Up for me I think I vote Summertime too but I don't know
Starting point is 01:49:22 if it should win you're not beating the Fresh Prince intro Pump It Up should be Summertime But then getting jiggy Wait he can play The Fresh Prince theme song He's rapping
Starting point is 01:49:28 Why the fuck couldn't he Oh man I gotta do a show Call Quincy Wait was I in power Wait what shows was I in I had to Wait no
Starting point is 01:49:40 You got salad That's my song The Love and Hip Hop intro Same record Iconic It's the same record Pump it up That was a good impression

Starting point is 01:49:55 No No No No No No No No
Starting point is 01:49:55 No No No No No No No No

Starting point is 01:50:10 The couple's therapy. Yo, shut up, Rory. I couldn't remember. I didn't do a cooler show than that. Then what? No. No. Just loving hip hop.
Starting point is 01:50:19 I got to do a show. Yeah. What was the little gif in the move they made you do on couple's therapy? No, I'll play my podcast preem song i just wow that's amazing i just don't know what will go on doing up in the club come on though yeah yeah me and me yami yami yeah see that's why You can only play Summertime once Oh you played it already I didn't know you played that one Summertime is gonna pump it up
Starting point is 01:50:47 What was the Forgive me not He's gonna get jiggy with it I win Up in the club Versus getting jiggy with it I win I hate getting jiggy with it
Starting point is 01:50:57 But it's a bigger song I win Oh no the Men in Black record I win Oh I'm out of here I'm done I won man That Men in Black record was
Starting point is 01:51:03 I win 3-1 He flicked Forgive me not Wild Wild West Is getting you the fuck Out of here What I was on I could play
Starting point is 01:51:13 Wild Wild West You don't think Grant that photo No no no No I do But not the rest of the world. She don't put it down?
Starting point is 01:51:26 No, no. Nah, come on. No, no, no. All right, who wants your versus then? Give me somebody I can win against. I can't win against nobody. I'm up here giving my rap critiques about things. Nah, you should have Mims.
Starting point is 01:51:38 You should have Mims. You're bodying Mims. I told you you could beat Mims. Nah, but I got to beat somebody else, though. Don't do that to Mims. I want to beat somebody. I want to beat somebody they think I can't beat. Like, ah, that's why I said Will, but fuck it.
Starting point is 01:51:48 Yeah, no, Will, no. I was reaching. I'm sorry. Fine. Somebody from your era, though. I'll beat his son. Take that, Jaden. I don't know.
Starting point is 01:51:57 Jaden been putting out some shit. Jaden got good records, but I don't know if he has a record as big as Pump It Up. Definitely doesn't. But that little colors. Nigga, who emotional oranges could beat? All has a record as big as Pump It Up. No, definitely doesn't. But that little colors... Nigga, who Emotional Oranges could beat? Alright, I'm tired of sick of you. Who could beat? You got an album coming. Who you could beat?
Starting point is 01:52:13 We shall see. Da-da-da-da. But Emotional Oranges could beat people. Personal doing numbers. Yeah, the Bad Apples. Y'all getting the Bad Apples. Y'all getting the Bad Apples out of Y'all getting the bad apples. Y'all getting the bad apples out of here.
Starting point is 01:52:26 Shout out to Emotional Oranges. All right, what was I getting to? Anything important? No, I think... The undoing is out of here. Maul could kill in a versus if you go by, like,
Starting point is 01:52:36 his affiliates. True. If he could play everything from affiliates, Maul is tough to beat. I might get somebody out of here. Yeah, Maul is tough to beat in a versus.
Starting point is 01:52:43 His affiliates. When Maul throw on PSA. Maul did write the Emil album. Joe is so disrespectful, man. You are so disrespectful, man. If you could pick a chick, if you could pick a chick that you would have Ghost World for, who would you pick?
Starting point is 01:52:59 Who would fancy your style? Hmm. That I would like to or would have liked to um that's a good question all right think about it yeah I'm trying to think of think about the artist that tell tell me at the end of this podcast Thanksgiving plans anybody anybody anybody anybody no family thing friends giving it's a family affair i'm vegan now so everybody's been texting me making vegan jokes so my sexy love remix against that nigga shit was that an official will no just because you rapped on and that's whatever um he said your shit Wasn't official bro He said your remix

Starting point is 01:54:25 What would you tell them? Nothing? No. Parks, huh? What you and Giff doing on this one? No. Exactly. Shut the fuck up about my catalog.
Starting point is 01:54:33 It's a freestyle. We were just saying in comparison. I don't get no. Don't say comparison until you can comparison. I'm sick of y'all now. No, you're right. My bad, bro. I know that's a sensitive subject.
Starting point is 01:54:43 I'm sorry about that. God damn it. Stay scheming. I didn't know how you felt about the Neos. Freestyle. What are you going to do when Making a Murderer comes out?
Starting point is 01:54:53 Go hang out with Drake? I just want Drake to stop sending Snow a leg with things. He has a lot of inventory. He just will not stop mailing no more candles for your head top
Starting point is 01:55:08 I mean candles burn in a pandemic dude look at my baby I mean look at Snow yeah cause that's not my baby let me stop that but look at Snow
Starting point is 01:55:16 oh queen you got something now on Clubhouse you win a Grammy from me Snow I'd like to find out why she wasn't nominated
Starting point is 01:55:26 honestly I don't think it made it in the right time why was she nominated last year or was she and we're just stupid that could be it
Starting point is 01:55:34 okay look at that green I'm good on us being stupid yeah yeah we're stupid yeah that's the that's the Ivy Park
Starting point is 01:55:40 did you guys buy your ladies the Ivy Park everyone in the room no no but if I had a lady to buy for, I would. You guys are so foolish. Mo, how would we know if that ever happened? You are so foolish. You gotta have a lady? How would we know?
Starting point is 01:55:51 We'll tell you. Oh, okay. Find a girl. I'm confident in that. Yeah, find a girl. I'll tell y'all. I'm all leaving money bags under my chicks here still. Still? And you're getting 34 people engaging with that. 34 people? They agree're getting 34 people engaging with that. 34 people?
Starting point is 01:56:08 They agree with that? You got to chill out. You know what I'm saying? Nah, I just like the color, the palette. I found some of your little licks on there, though. Nah, the palette. I found them.
Starting point is 01:56:15 Just the color palette. And I'm there, reaching out. I just like the color palette. Reaching out. That's all, bro. Yo, Miami, this weekend, what you think?
Starting point is 01:56:25 It's fucked up now. All the chicks I put in all this vacation work with two months ago, now their kids got COVID. They got to be parents. Yeah. Responsibility. I hate when they have to do that. Fuck. You got to take care of your kids.
Starting point is 01:56:38 Look at what you get mad at. I'm kidding. Comedy style. Comedy style. Comedy style. Is there anything else that we need to get to that the people just... Shout out to the first all-black referee officiating team in the NFL last night. Crazy it took us long, but you know.
Starting point is 01:56:51 Yeah. Absolutely. Congrats. Yeah. I saw a headline that said Jeezy and Gucci did more numbers in the VMAs and the Billboard Awards, and I'm not really surprised. Shocked me at all. Oh, that's a good idea.
Starting point is 01:57:05 Trevor Noah's hosting the Grammys. We didn't touch on that in our Grammy breakdown. I think that's pretty cool. All right, he better not Trevor Noah it. He better get into his bag. Calling Trevor Noah? Yes, Rory. Okay.
Starting point is 01:57:22 I'm calling Trevor Noah. They shut down a swingers club in Astoria last weekend. Mm-hmm. Wait, that wasn't Astoria? I didn't know there was a swingers club in Astoria. That shit looked nuts. Did you see the... Your call has been forwarded to...
Starting point is 01:57:36 Yo, that headline, it was a couple fucking no masks face-to-face and spread the COVID. What was the full story? Oh, I don't know. There was 80 people there, though. Yeah, but something specifically happened where there was a couple that decided to take their mask off and really get in their bag. And then that spread everything. Damn. Yo, I can't believe that the COVID cases in Atlanta are so down.
Starting point is 01:58:02 See, I'll be overpaying for the pussy. I told you. Let's go to the swingers club. It's $500 all night. All night. I think it was less than that. No, I'm looking at the menu. Oh, okay.
Starting point is 01:58:12 I'm looking at the menu. The menu's right here. The pussy menu? Yeah, it says VIP room bill, $30 for 10 minutes. No, me and Rory in parks don't do that. $50 for 20 minutes. But we don't pay for vagina mall. $60 for half hour.
Starting point is 01:58:24 Yo, have you guys Heard of a vagatial No what is that That sounds really intriguing Yeah they sit Does she rub her Does she rub her vagina On your face
Starting point is 01:58:32 Fam Yeah It's for women Rory Oh okay I thought It was for us when they No no no Because I think there's
Starting point is 01:58:38 Probably a lot of good Chemicals in vagina That would help with our skin Oh yeah yeah Depends on who it is Some bad chemicals In some of them You've never had a chick ride your face
Starting point is 01:58:46 and you were glowing the next day? Boy, we go left so fast. Look like a glazed donut? Tell us all about the vaginal, Joe. Never mind. No, now you got to tell us. Is it skincare for the vagina? Yes.
Starting point is 01:58:58 It's a rejuvenation. It's like a steam. Snap that pussy back. Let's just move on. Let's just go. I go no you were saying and i don't remember where i was going so the vaginal i'm just gonna fucking the vagina just forget it no they should take care of their it's fine you guys um internal organs. What else is important before we go? Could you guys make a joke out of everything? Look, still joking around.
Starting point is 01:59:32 Fucking so immature. No, it was science. Let's see. Trump finally letting go of office, maybe? Maybe. That's a mall question. I know. Fucking lost 30 times in one day.
Starting point is 01:59:43 Let's not rile him up, please. NBA trades. Hey. How you feeling? I see a Lakers repeat. That puts LeBron at five? Yes. And then Corey's going to hear my mouth when LeBron gets to five.
Starting point is 01:59:59 You're going to hear me. I'm silent right now because I know the ring argument. When he gets to five, some of you old heads are going to have to have a talk with yourselves. They'll discredit him because of the bubble. Just telling you that now. I'm not saying my opinion there. No, they'll discredit him for the percentage. Mo, what does the conversation look like if he finds a way to get to six?
Starting point is 02:00:20 Then he has to. The COVID ring will always be that conversation that people talk about, but it will be they deserved it. They wasn't playing hard in the bubble. No, I'm just saying it's going to because it was such a different. I'll tell you what they all of them. It was a tougher ring to win. Some people say that I'm some people. Yeah, I could see that the circumstances.
Starting point is 02:00:40 Would it have been different if Craig Elo and them was in there? All of Mike's rivals. I'm not comparing. No, I'm rivals? I'm not comparing Mike to- What would happen if Dan Marley showed up? Wow. Cur is lighting that thing up. Fucking Mike. Why do you like Michael Jackson?
Starting point is 02:00:58 Don't do that, boy. No, you really don't like Michael. Don't do that. I love Mike. Oh, it's the next thing. The 90s. I get it. Don't do that. No, I. I think it's the next thing. The 90s. I get it. Don't do that.
Starting point is 02:01:05 But no, I don't compare. Mike is the greatest. But we're going to have to just acknowledge certain things if LeBron get one or two more. We wouldn't have to acknowledge anything. Just the ring count six? Okay. If you want to argue that. You think LeBron couldn't have had his way with dead left shrimp?
Starting point is 02:01:23 I mean, if we're going to have that problem, I saw LeBron. I haven't heard that name be brought up. Maybe Brad Doherty would have been the LeBron stopper. I mean, I saw LeBron. I don't get the fuck out of here with this shit. No, LeBron struggled. Shut up. He struggled with Paul Pierce before he went to Miami.
Starting point is 02:01:40 Couldn't get past Boston. How many ranks LeBron got? Let's talk about it. Four. That's a very respectable four No absolutely And y'all got me sounding like I'm a LeBron dick ride I'm not
Starting point is 02:01:52 No I don't compare him and Mike I'm not one of those guys Do we acknowledge the LeBron A&R your album curse? What was the curse? Oh nothing If you don't see it It's the one you told me
Starting point is 02:02:03 About last week Oh You gotta wait for the deluxe You gotta wait for the deluxe Oh, nothing. If you don't see it, it's the one you told me about last week. Oh. What was the one last week? You got to wait for the deluxe. You got to wait for the deluxe. The one we kicked it about. You brought it to my attention about how LeBron, every time he do your shit. Yeah, you got to wait for the deluxe.
Starting point is 02:02:14 Look at him all trying not to piss Maverick off. You got to wait for the deluxe. You know what's kind of funny, though? You did. Shout out to LeBron, man. That's another thing you started that we don't bring up. LeBron's A&R shit. did that's another thing you started that we don't bring up lebron's a and r shit the first time i'd ever seen him rock with that face that he does when he hears an album was to your record
Starting point is 02:02:30 no he's done that before that no it definitely wasn't he did and i don't get i don't i don't take that from him because he's he has been a music guy from as soon as i saw him in high school how he started with the social shits was off your shit. But best thing that you know, I was trying to pick you up. Hey, do we want to take it? That's good. Do we ever prosecute Zion's family for taking that money or not? Or did that just go under the rug? Did we just worry about the Steve Adams signing?
Starting point is 02:02:59 As opposed to who else's family took money? No, LeBron did. LeBron's mom was driving around in a yellow Hummer when I was in high school. LeBron had a G-Wagon. He had a Walkman. A Walkman? A Walkman. Nigga had a Walkman.
Starting point is 02:03:14 Oh, nah, nah, somebody got you. Well, if he had a Walkman in 2009, 2009? No, younger than that. LeBron was in high school 2003. LeBron had a Walkman. LeBron's in high school 2003. LeBron and Walker, man. LeBron is that dude. Yeah, no, I was in junior high. Yeah, I feel like a Lakers repeat.
Starting point is 02:03:31 I see the Knicks acquiring mad draft picks, and that's about all I care about. I see the Nets trying to really be serious about whatever they're doing. And Covington to the Blazers is big time. Yeah. That's what I think. I think more importantly, people not paying attention, that Kelly Oubre to the Warriors was a big pickup for them.
Starting point is 02:03:51 That clay injury hurts still. Yeah, that hurts. But Kelly Oubre as a future piece with that team is big. You really liked Chris Paul going to Phoenix as well. Oh, yeah. Him and Devin Booker is tough. And DeAndre Ayton. They got a nice team they're working on down there. And the season starts next well. Oh, yeah. Him and Devin Booker is tough. And DeAndre Ayton. They got a nice teammate working on down there.
Starting point is 02:04:08 And the season starts next month. This is nuts. Yeah. Yeah, it's weird. Are y'all prepared for the new lockdown that is rumored to be coming, but we know it's really coming? It's coming. It's coming.
Starting point is 02:04:18 Cuomo said it's coming December 1st, right? I think they're just trying to drag out the holiday season as long as possible. But what do they mean when they say lockdown? Stay in the house again? right? I think they're just trying to drag out the holiday season as long as possible. And what do they mean when they say lockdown? Stay in the house again? No, I think... Or just restaurants are closed and do what you want?
Starting point is 02:04:30 Restaurants are closed. Social shit will be over. All that social shit is closed. I've been being a restaurant hoe in light of this news. I've been like going out to dinner and shit because I'm like,
Starting point is 02:04:38 all right, they're about to lock us in again. Yeah, I'm not mad at that. I haven't been out to a restaurant in six months. How long do y'all think this new lockdown will last? Until Trump concedes. How about the rest of you guys?
Starting point is 02:04:52 Yeah. How about... I think they have to do it for at least six weeks, I would think. I think right now is the perfect time to do it because December goes into the holiday shit when most people will actually just be home. Yeah. So, yeah, let's sit down for a little bit. December goes into the holiday shit when most people will actually just be home. Yeah. So, yeah, let's sit down for a little bit, come back after the new year and see where we're at.
Starting point is 02:05:11 I think we're... I think this is a good time to actually do this. I think we're in and out of lockdown the whole 2021. Oh, that... Majority of it. That for certain. At least nine months.
Starting point is 02:05:19 That for certain. No, I think till next year. 2021? Yeah, this year. The entire lockdown? No, I think we'll come in and out of it the same way we did we said the same thing
Starting point is 02:05:27 in the beginning of this year oh man how can they do us they're not gonna lock us in the whole year and we've been locked in the house the whole year oh well you mean lockdown
Starting point is 02:05:33 like restaurants will be open until a certain time like curfew type of thing yeah that'll happen no no that'll happen later it's just gonna fluctuate
Starting point is 02:05:41 as it should with the disease yeah but the days of us just going out and turning it up and having options, that's... Unless the vaccine works and it comes
Starting point is 02:05:52 out quickly and people take it. They said the vaccine is given in two doses. The first dose, you'll feel every side effect, and the second dose, you should be okay about a month later. I'm cool. Very irresponsible of me to spew that on my platform here, but I am cool on that.
Starting point is 02:06:08 I need more information, but I will probably get the vaccine. Rory, that's going to kill all your little fiber diet nutrients that you're taking, your fiber brownies. You're going to be shitting for a week. A nigga that needs fiber brownies can't beat me up, Rory. You better stop threatening me. I will not let fiber edible man over here. Joe, fiber edible.

Starting point is 02:06:47 I'm in the best shape of my life. I will whoop your ass. He just can't shit, but he's in the best shape of his life. I will slide you up the street with your little World Boxing. You in the World Boxing Gym? You in the World Boxing Training. Oh, you in the World Boxing Gym, Jersey City, we in right now then? No. Exactly. Nigga, the street outside. I ain't got to little world boxing training. Oh, you go to World Boxing Gym Jersey City with me right now then? No.
Starting point is 02:07:05 Exactly. They're going to street outside. I ain't got to go to Jersey City. We can move this back. You scared of Jersey City? Fuck up the cameras. No. But I'm not going over there. What else is going on?
Starting point is 02:07:17 You can edit it up. I'm just talking shit. What else is up? I think that's everything that I had that's important. Lockdown, you guys don't care. Lockdown, you guys don't care. Global warming, you guys don't care. Trump not letting you go, you guys don't care. What else?
Starting point is 02:07:32 What else is here? Yeah, that's it for me. Biden picked his cabinet today, right? Or some of it? He's been picking it all week. Half of the cab? Yeah, he's been picking the cab all week. He opened the cabinet.
Starting point is 02:07:42 He has not opened the cabinet. Going to decide what he wants to put into it? Yeah. Has any uh he's at trader joe's very famous people on there that i've seen so far famous people well i mean like other politicians that he was going against or anything like that so i don't have much analysis on that all right well we'll see we shall see next week uh next podcast i'm coming in here to do a Throat Baby lyric breakdown. That's your shit? I just, I'm late to the party here. I had no idea about that record until about three weeks ago.
Starting point is 02:08:14 And then I learned the dude is on LVN. What's your shit? I should have asked him about it. What's your shit? LV what? LVRN. LVRN. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:08:27 So apparently the Throat Baby song bubbling atlanta for mad long and now it's made his way over here and everybody's singing it but i just heard it for the first time three weeks ago and i was amazed at the lyrics and the chords i normally lean on rory to put me on to the songs that i would never hear but i should hear and he didn't i thought you knew about this this was popular i didn't think i needed to put you onto this record because it got so popular i figured whoever you had he was chilling with you know the the throat baby the throat babies you'd be with would have put you onto this record nah they just give right to throat okay they're not putting me onto the joints they just get right to that Necolator 3000
Starting point is 02:09:05 like that aggressive shit I prefer to be corny why does head drive us crazy because you don't got to think about it yeah but like that's not right there it shouldn't do that to us
Starting point is 02:09:21 we should have more control over our bodies I get to shivering right on her. Your thighs start shaking? Thighs? No. My whole body have a convulsion. That's hilarious.
Starting point is 02:09:34 Y'all don't do that? Whole body convulse? It depends. Sometimes. It's happened. Yeah, like you're being electrocuted? Yeah. That's the best nuts.

Starting point is 02:13:23 You'll be all right. I eat really well not what your doctor says but no it's in my hereditary genes that we just don't have fiber in our body only thing hereditary is your diet remember that that's not true that's that that's not that's not accurate okay anyone that's listening sir that's not accurate you eat what you was taught to eat. Right or wrong? Well, I'm saying that I eat extremely well, that my body hereditarily does not have enough fiber in it. So even if I eat more fiber than the average person or eat really well, I still will lack fiber.
Starting point is 02:13:57 My body has no fiber because of my lineage of men in my— Your body doesn't probably digest fiber properly. Yes. That's actually the issue. The men in my family just don't have... The ferals have no fiber. The fiber ferals. That's just who we are.
Starting point is 02:14:11 I don't know if it's from the potato famine. I don't know what it's from. It probably is. Did you say famine? I did. You play something until I find something. All right, I'll start then. I'll give you all some bare feet shit,

White people have a history of killing us. They say we violent, we ain't violent at all. We wasn't violent till we got to these shores They scream your name when you out on that court But crucify you when they got you in court They say they love you, they don't love you at all They selling dreams, nigga, fuck what you thought

Why they look at these algorithms Then go off what they find in the data? What if I was your neighbor? But in your eyes I'm a stranger Would you call on five and decide you in danger? What if I was the savior?
Starting point is 02:25:18 Would I sign to a major? Would I regret all this violent behavior? What if your mom was a child when she raised you? Would you decide to degrade her? What if you was born and she died when in labor? I bet now you would praise her Let's try to think Would she had lived if you was born even five minutes later? What if Mustafa Shabazz fired and missed his shot?
Starting point is 02:25:36 What if Puff was the target and maybe Big was not? Why would you watch the whole movie and almost miss the plot? The final destination, debating if we should live or not I ain't concentrated on COVID, been killing us from the start Let me lift this weight off my shoulders We tend to equate progress with concessions We can no longer make that mistake See, it's no in-between You're either free or you're a slave There's no such thing as second class citizenship

Starting point is 02:26:39 Yo, so I forgot who came out and said that... Who came out and said that Kanye, my dark, beautiful, twisted fantasy is album of the decade. Any complaints about that? No. No, not at all. None from me? Goes back to me and Corey's argument however many years ago in Edgewater.
Starting point is 02:26:57 There's an argument for Take Care and one of those Kendrick albums and those will be my three for the decade. Gotcha. I'm not mad at a good Kid Mad City, Take Care, and my beautiful Dark Tits of Fantasy.
Starting point is 02:27:08 Those are the three albums from the three artists that should have given us the soundtrack for the decade. And Teflon Don. Huh? Teflon Don. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:27:17 That's, that's that shit. Yeah. And Teflon Don. You're absolutely right. Roy, we got late breaking news about Barack Obama on The Breakfast Club, right? Yeah, they just dropped the trailer, which ends with Charlamagne asking Barack Obama what he did for systemic racism in black people during his term.
Starting point is 02:27:41 And then the trailer ends. Cliffhanger, huh? Yeah.
