Starting point is 00:15:56 But let me tell you where this comes from. Because it sounds like I'm just bigging up my body and that sounds nuts. But when I go to the park, right? Just do the workout. Pop the shirt. I start looking at the white dudes that's doing 100 pull-ups, did 100 fucking leg presses, whatever they're doing. They're doing all types of shit.

Listen, I go do a quick. Smoke a cig. I go do a little. He'll be having a cigarette in his mouth on the pull-up bar. I go do a quick little four pull-ups, and I like the results. In comparison to the white dude that just did 200 chin-ups or whatever the fuck you call that shit.
Starting point is 00:16:38 I like it. I like it. Hey, I'm back outside. Hey, I know you had a little joke, Parks. That was it. But I'm feeling good about myself. Starting point is 00:22:49 No, I didn't. I've gone numerous times to see Paul Mooney live. I think you've told some stories about that here. 1,000%. 1,000%. It was always an experience, whether it was him, whether you were reacting to him or you were reacting to the audience or you were one of the audience members leaving
Starting point is 00:23:08 or one of the audience members watching other audience members leave, Paul did what he wanted, said what he wanted, and told you exactly what was on his mind at all times and spoke for us and our time here often. And white people left often. I don't know what they thought they was getting into. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:23:31 I always was confused. I was always confused by that. But at Caroline's, where I went to see him numerous times, there's a lot of walk-by, walk-up traffic. So one day you might just pop in there and Paul Mooney's there and he's giving it up.
Starting point is 00:23:46 He's giving it up. And you had to exit. Like, I didn't walk in for this. This ain't going to work. Yeah. What he did on the Chappelle show, we don't need to talk about. Yeah. Legendary shit.
Starting point is 00:23:58 He's written for everything. Yeah. Yeah. Like, he's been a behind the scenes writer for everything. And the inspiration. Yeah. Movies. Yeah. Like, mad shit. He's a monster. Yeah. Rest in's been a behind the scenes writer for everything. And the inspiration. And movies. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:24:05 Like mad shit. He's a monster. Yeah. Rest in peace, Paul Mooney. We love you. We will miss you. Our thoughts, our love is with his family, friends, and fans. And hopefully we don't have any more of these grave losses anytime soon.
Starting point is 00:24:22 Right when I was feeling like, okay, wow, there was a news cycle without death for a few weeks. That felt like a long time. Yeah, I was about to say that's crazy. A whole few weeks. And I don't even mean without death, but just without it plastered all over your, that's back to being dark on the web a little bit. Like just watching what you consume watching your intake i know we laughing at my health shit but that is part of yeah health and watching what you consume yeah um burns up to uh palestine and uh columbia i think there's a lot of stuff going on too while
Starting point is 00:24:57 we're here uh a lot of lost life and i was being educated on that this morning as well uh I was being educated on that this morning as well. Yeah, there's a few celebrities that have spoken on it that maybe should see speaking on it. Yeah, I'm not going to go in depth because I don't know enough. No need. Music? Yeah, let's get into music.
Starting point is 00:25:17 Music, music, music, music. A lot came out. You want me to leave? You know what I think we need? Do you have iTunes or anything? No, no, no. Slow down, slow down, slow down. Slow down.
Starting point is 00:25:28 Is that even on? How do androiders listen to music? Ish has an android. Very good question. This is what we need here. And I take part, I take fault for not leading here. I failed you two guys. We need clear and defined roles.
Starting point is 00:25:42 iPhones. Here. Oh. Ish, you're not the music guy when we get in our music but you might really believe you're the music guy like you might get around your people and say yo can i get the aux no oh wait do you have the attachment that makes the aux go in my my android phone wait do you even have a charger for the Android? That is Ish, though. Every time he walk in somebody else.
Starting point is 00:26:08 Yo, y'all got a charger for this? No, Ish. No. Nobody in here has it. The thing that charges the Android is charging my clippers or something upstairs. It's charging a whole nother device, my headphones. It's not charging the phone, though. No, no.
Starting point is 00:26:22 My God. My clippers. It's upstairs charging the fucking Coleco. Oh, no. Upstairs charging the fucking Coleco. Oh, man. Those guys. They'll hit you. Yeah, you're not the music guy. And that's okay.
Starting point is 00:26:34 That's cool. Yeah. But what guy are you now that we're here? The house guy. I'm just me, man. No, that's the house guy. The house guy. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:26:41 The house guy. I'm just me. And you. The Kevin Samuels guy. Yeah. Oh,. And you. The Kevin Samuels guy. Yeah. Oh, man. When we need Kevin Samuels analysis. You're like the pod, like.
Starting point is 00:26:51 He's the OG, man. You're like the pod. Yeah, you're the old nigga at the pod now. Oh. I'm popular old nigga. We're looking to you for wisdom and hitting our 47 to 60 year old demo now. And doing it that way, we can expand.
Starting point is 00:27:06 Got you. Ice is some of the music guy. Ice is definitely a music guy. Some of the music. I'm not the R&B guy. Yeah, and he's not the R&B guy. I listen to some R&B. I will cover R&B.
Starting point is 00:27:20 Parks will cover all things. Boom Bap. Boom Bap, Backpack, Rizelda, Premiere spesh rizza yeah souls of mischief diggable planets you keep going to souls of mischief i've always been the souls of mischief guy it just i don't know i'm a souls of mischief guy too but i do just laugh at that about park shout out to souls of mischief of course and shout out to j cole again for tearing that souls of misischief beat up. Hey, I don't want to speak too soon because I've been dick riding that album for a little while now.
Starting point is 00:27:49 Oh, yeah. That's actually the album of the year. Travis too. Sorry, Trev. I forgot. Am I speaking too soon and saying that? I know it's only been like two weeks. That's a classic.
Starting point is 00:28:00 I know it's only been like two weeks. Yeah, you speak too soon. Yeah. For a classic title, yes. Yes. Yeah, you are. You are 100%. Part of being a classic... Now you're about to beat me down.
Starting point is 00:28:10 Listen, listen. Just part of being a classic... You're talking to me. You got to last the test of time. I'm not saying this won't, but we have to see it. You're talking to me. So I understand that. Hold up for a minute.
Starting point is 00:28:19 Let me offer resistance to that. True. True. Part of being a classic is you have to stand the test of time. You have to outlast. Correct. So you have to wait. I think that's in the definition.
Starting point is 00:28:29 But I do not think it's fair that we can rush to judgment to call something trash, horrible, or garbage and not do the same for the other side of the spectrum. In instances where you might think something is trash uh it might be a grower correct you might have missed something the first time views happens all the time so so i believe on both sides good and bad you should a lot for time that's what makes what i'm saying ice a hot take is that i'm saying it before the rest of the world gets there that's a very hot take there but i don't think it's very hot. I think we can avoid both classic and trash. Right.
Starting point is 00:29:09 I'm not really pissed. This is dope. This is fire. You can say those things. I just think putting a classic title on something. You know, one minute they tell me I never appreciate Cole. They tell me I trash Cole. They tell me I don't give him his proper due.
Starting point is 00:29:23 And when I finally come in here to do it, they tell me that I am rushing to do so. I don't care what y'all say. I think that this album will stand the test of time. Sure. It probably will. And you know how I know it will actually, let me pull this fucking song.
Starting point is 00:29:37 I mean, I'm going to stop. I know I will for me. Cause I've played this album more than I've played any other album. Same here. From the minute y'all played it, when I heard it, I've been playing this album.
Starting point is 00:29:46 Yeah. Like when I go to work out, I usually try to listen to everything new, but sometimes I'm like, you know what, I'm going to go back to J. Cole again. This is what makes me stand boldly on Hot Take Island. Every time I listen to it, I hear something else new and different
Starting point is 00:30:02 that I can appreciate about it. And for me, when that happens, I'm typically right. Case in point, Pride is the Devil. Who did that beat? Find out who did that beat.
Starting point is 00:30:18 That might be... Oh my God, of course T- did this beat. This might be one of my favorite beats this year to be able to be to have that bass line that moves like that but then it's when this but it's like a real vibey beat until that little whistle comes in here do you hear it in the back? They're going to mute everything right now.
Starting point is 00:30:48 Here it goes. Oh, my God. Oh, my God. I can't even listen to this. And they come right back in with that type of sound like some, could be some 80s pop shit or some West Coast Pac type, Dre type. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:31:09 This is, this is, this is, this is incredible. It's a great album. This is incredible. It is. Shout out to him.
Starting point is 00:31:15 All right, now, new music. A lot came out. New music. In the backpack world, at least, a lot came out. All the way across the board. Yeah. Yeah, I saw a lot of
Starting point is 00:31:24 the guys you listened to drop this week. A lot of everybody. All the way across the board. Yeah. Yeah, I saw a lot of the guys you listened to drop this week. A lot of everybody dropped. Yeah. Let's start right here. It's his beat. I want to talk to you. Now, talk about the timing of things, right? Like, the conversation in hip-hop right now is they're trying to figure out Lil Baby's place.
Starting point is 00:31:43 Is it 1 or 1B? Is it 1 or 1B? Is it 1 or 1A? Is it 1B or 1? That's what they're trying to do. They're trying to just see where it goes. Who else? Wait, wait, wait. I'm lost.
Starting point is 00:31:54 Wait, 1? What? How are we at 1? He's talking like either. All right. What do you mean? I'm saying like Drake is still here. Yes, he is.
Starting point is 00:32:05 Okay, so I don't get where the one comes from. I think he's saying more like A level or B level, not necessarily. No, no, no, no, no, no. Let me take this argument with him. I'm here to argue today. Drake is still here like LeBron is still here. Okay. And LeBron, most people would say, is the best in the league.
Starting point is 00:32:26 However, when you factor in age, projection, ceiling, and those things, you might look towards some of the younger people that are going to carry the league long after LeBron is gone. I agree. I am aware that Drake is still here. on is gone i agree i am aware that drake is still here but the newer acts that have to view him as a peer and competition they got to be aware he's still here too and some of them like a little baby have positioned themselves no matter what he does which has a lot of people saying maybe he's right there one beat. Two. To me. Two. He's working, though.
Starting point is 00:33:08 Absolutely. He is one of my favorites right now. So with that being the conversation, you know, you got to take on all criticisms. If you LeBron and they say you can't shoot, you got to work on the shot. You can't hit a free throw on the clutch, you got to work on it. So they tried to throw at Lil Baby that he only raps on the shot. You can't hit a free throw on the clutch. You got to work on it. You got to. So they tried to throw it little baby that he only raps on trap beats.
Starting point is 00:33:28 And that's why I say the timing of this is real important. Because it's a just blaze beat with a choir. But not only a choir Kirk Franklin and choir. Now with that said
Starting point is 00:33:40 He gets busy. Let's play this one more time. I didn't even hear this. No? This is on the Space Jam soundtrack. They're making me like Space Jam. Again. Whoa!
Starting point is 00:34:00 This is a vibe right here. It's impossible for me to say. Let's go, Kirk. I believe in you, I believe in you, I believe in you I believe in you, I believe in you, I believe in you I believe in you, I believe in you, I believe in you We will be better than no Made a promise we can do it together And I ain't breaking my word I just wish that I could fly like a bird Get away from this earth
Starting point is 00:34:24 Had to pray and pray, I felt I was cursed Always tell myself it could've been worse Never going back, I broke the reverse It come from my soul, don't need to rehearse A lot of time, I was in need of work Talk to God like I need, it's the worst Fam, fam, fam, it's really that Whatever you thinking it is, it's really that
Starting point is 00:34:43 That sounds great That sounds beautiful beautiful yes it does man what type of budget went into the space jam album they got a couple bucks that's what they did last time though too the first space jam soundtrack was a big soundtrack so i could see them trying to replicate that pardon me for not being all the way educated on space jam really the original The original Space Jam soundtrack? I'm a Nick fan. Yo, what the fuck are y'all talking about? That soundtrack was nuts.
Starting point is 00:35:13 And I wasn't watching cartoons when Space Jam dropped. Yeah, you missed one. What was the score when the Monstars were leading? It was looking at the ass. What the fuck are y'all talking about? Monstars was on that ass.
Starting point is 00:35:26 Yeah, it is. I was robbing people. I was robbing people. I don't know what happened in Space Jam. Sorry. Sorry. I don't. I know Mike invited Craig Elo and Jeff Hornacek and the guys to come play in the little tent
Starting point is 00:35:40 and bust their ass for a whole summer. The soundtrack was a big soundtrack at the time. Yeah, it was. The biggest song, of course, being one that we can never play again, but whatever. Oh, that song.
Starting point is 00:35:51 He don't understand that because he a Nick fan. Oh, no, I had that song. Oh, shit, and I had it because I had the soundtrack. You might have the soundtrack. God damn it, you got me. There was a couple joints on there.
Starting point is 00:36:00 It was. I just kept going to that one. Reasonable. I might have cried to that. Reasonable. Like, why can't I fly? Okay, what else is on this soundtrack, though? Because now I have to really pay attention
Starting point is 00:36:16 to the Space Jam soundtrack. The new one or the old one? The new one. We don't know. I think this is the first one. Oh, this is the first single from Space Jam? Yeah. Woo!
Starting point is 00:36:30 Why wouldn't it be? Exactly. That's how you lead off. Y'all are so cute. That's a great song. That's a great song. I'm not going to see LeBron dunk on cartoons, but great song nonetheless.
Starting point is 00:36:41 I might. I'll pass. I'm going to watch it at home. I'm always intrigued by what men are entertained by, like, by themselves. I play video games, bro. No comment. Won't get me. I got a PS5, man.
Starting point is 00:36:58 I learned that anything you say, you're going to diss somebody. Yes. Anything you say, you're going to diss somebody. Anything. It don't matter somebody is gonna get offended you know what that's what I'm starting to see
Starting point is 00:37:07 that's what I'm starting to see you can't please everybody you know this is new for me so that's what I'm starting to see like it does not matter like motherfuckers was cursing me out motherfucker you don't know
Starting point is 00:37:16 nothing about the bible nigga I'm like okay bro pardon me Mr. Churchy with the curses you got it but you can't yeah
Starting point is 00:37:24 people take things out of context that's no written or verbal all the time Pardon me, Mr. Churchy, with the curses. You got it, but you can't. People take things out of context. That's no. Written or verbal all the time. They hear what they want to hear. Or you see points that you didn't even say. Whatever's up here is what they're arguing. They project shit on you. You just got to let it go.
Starting point is 00:37:39 You know, I support that, though. You can't argue what I didn't say. Or you can't tell me what I meant. Right. I support evoking any emotion. Of course you do. As if you're a listener, if you are compelled by anything I said, good, bad or indifferent, the job is done. And one of my favorite things to do as a listener is to listen to people who I'm gonna argue with while i'm in my house now
Starting point is 00:38:05 i'm gonna clean my house now and argue back with skip bayless over this stupid tim tebow being a tight end thingamajig whatever he's saying now i'm gonna walk around my house and argue with colin coward i'm gonna argue with some of the stuff that uh kendrick perkins big picture engagement is engagement and that's it provoke a thought arguing with the person stimulate stimulate a part of the brain that maybe wasn't even going in that direction even if you want to argue with you have to agree cool with that but when you arguing with somebody and you're arguing like a point you made up on their behalf that's a little different like i get people arguing with me in my mentions and shit over well back when i when I was on social media, over shit that I didn't say.
Starting point is 00:38:50 Like, fam, that's not what I said at all. Yeah, but you meant it. No, you can't tell me what I meant, my dude. Check this out. I've never been a part of a debate team because I left school. But I know some people that were. but I have, I know some people that work and,
Starting point is 00:39:04 and when they tell me about their experience, they say, yo, sometimes, sometimes the task for the class was for them to throw two topics that were just totally out of left field that had nothing to do with nothing and two sides of it. And what the fuck would you believe in? No,
Starting point is 00:39:21 you've got to argue. No, they would ask you, Hey, which one do you believe in? They would answer it. And then they would make you pick the other one to argue it i was on a debate team were you yeah oh really dork
Starting point is 00:39:29 that makes sense that you wish i would have down though that makes sense that you were on a debate team nowhere at high school yeah middle school and early high school before the nigga dem set in but yes oh before you got introduced to drugs yeah so basically what they do though is this is why oh the pizza's hot i smell it yeah this is why politics are so fucked up because most politicians are lawyers right and so they can they don't have to believe what they're arguing they just find out the best way to argue it so you can know your client is guilty, but you can get them off because you can argue
Starting point is 00:40:07 your point the best. So they'll ask you, let's just pick a topic like abortions, right? So they'll ask you, Joe, argue the affirmative for why abortion should be illegal.
Starting point is 00:40:19 And you're going to go do your research and you're going to find poignant pieces that will support your theory. And then you'll come in and you argue them. And all right, cool. Now next week, you're going to go do your research and you're going to find poignant pieces that will support your theory. And then you'll come in and you argue them. And all right, cool. Now, next week, you're going to pick the negative.
Starting point is 00:40:31 And your job, again, is to go do research that supports that. You come in and argue that. See, I love that. I love that. That sounds like college monopoly. Yeah, your brain sounds like a blast. That's your energy. That's you.
Starting point is 00:40:44 And that's what they did on the fucking on spoiler alert spoiler alert if you're listening episode two of the opioid doc. They were talking about
Starting point is 00:40:53 how the gentleman I don't remember his name Lilliard whatever give him a name don't make up a name don't do that but he worked for he worked for Congress
Starting point is 00:41:02 for however many years learned the areas in which Congress was weak when it came to the medical field and the loopholes and the laws, left Congress, and then went to independently rep all of the drug companies. And make a shitload of money. And he created a law, I mean a bill, to behoove all of the drug companies and got it passed.
Starting point is 00:41:26 Of course. His great, great, great, great grandkids will never have to work again. See, part of me likes that because they shouldn't have to work again. He tricked the system. But the other part of me feels like I hate it because... At whose demise, though?
Starting point is 00:41:41 Black people don't get to do those types of scams. That's where I get mad at watching American Greed when I be like alright where's the black guy that can do this that's why I supported
Starting point is 00:41:51 Lil T.J. Lil T.J. X38 T.J. X6 finally I get to see a black scammer on some of these shows that came up and was successful
Starting point is 00:41:59 the fuck even though that's not the same as some of these other but you know what I mean but no that's the debate thing like you don these other but you know what I mean that's the debate thing it don't matter what you personally feel so like with the politicians
Starting point is 00:42:11 it don't matter what they feel if I'm a Republican and my side is saying this I have to find the way to argue this point to make it that's Ish's bag we gonna go to Ish when it's time for us to get wise when it's time for us to get wise when it's time for us to just embrace debate right no but that's serious yeah yeah that's i like that uh what else dropped city girls is here
Starting point is 00:42:35 no we did that we did that and what i what uh what the people told me was that the twerklator song leaked last year they couldn't clear the sample and then they waited a year and got it cleared. Well, it's now out, though. And now it's out. A lot of people have heard it for the first time. Got it. Did you hear it? They on their jersey shit?
Starting point is 00:42:53 Yeah. They're not on their jersey shit. Yeah. They flipped Planet Rock. Pete. Yeah. I was disappointed. I still support the city girls
Starting point is 00:43:06 I support all of the women out there having hot girl summers but they made it clear that they're enjoying the night with their lady friends and then calling their man up for a ride at the end of the night or hey leave the door unlocked
Starting point is 00:43:23 ain't nothing wrong with that that's where I'm going to leave the door unlocked oh ain't nothing wrong with that hey yo that's where i embrace that's where i'm gonna leave the door open came from i don't want to go out what leave that door open that used to be my bag i ain't gonna hold you that was my shit right there and the locks was different in 87 so get right in there with a credit card buddy no problem nah that was my bad hey leave the chain lock off
Starting point is 00:43:47 that was my bad no bullshit how many girls you fucked that had a chain lock I wasn't looking at they locks yo I wouldn't know
Starting point is 00:43:53 so hundreds big lotto come on Ice all of this shit is shit that you listen to I didn't hear this yeah Mulatto changed her name she's now just Lotto. Come on, Ice. All of this shit is shit that you listen to. I hear this. Mulatto changed her name.
Starting point is 00:44:08 She's now just Lotto. And she has a record called The Biggest. I haven't heard this yet. I didn't even know this had dropped. They got to fix their algorithms on Apple. I don't know what's dropping. I usually know what's dropping. I knew the name change was coming.
Starting point is 00:44:24 I guessed it was going to be Big Lotto, but it's just Lotto. Okay, cool. We have a predominantly male audience. You City Girl and Big Lotto and me. That's what's on the screen. The 42 Doug Dropper. Yes. You know what I want to talk about. Stop telling me about the fuck you talking about.
Starting point is 00:44:38 That's what's on the screen. Nigga, we dudes. It's a room full of men and Big Lotto, City Girl. Freedom Boys is out. We interviewed Johnny Blake. What else you want us to do? I'm talking about Doug. There you go.
Starting point is 00:44:51 Get your shit off. You hear that issue? I heard it. You've been waiting on this album. I've been waiting on this album. About murder. It's not about murder. He not one of the killers.
Starting point is 00:45:01 He not one of the killers. Yeah, sometimes you want to hear the killers. What does he do? He just talk that shit. He reminds me, you know who he reminds one of the killers he not one of the killers yeah sometimes you want to hear the killers what does he do he just talk that shit he reminds me you know who he reminds me of A.I. said you said something crazy
Starting point is 00:45:11 he reminds me of a 2021 Eazy-E that's who he reminds me of oh a killer he wasn't oh he reminds you of a new he reminds me of Eazy alright get your shit off, bro. But yeah, I turned this nigga into City.
Starting point is 00:45:28 It was one that I just kept running back. So it's a good album to me. Us Doug fans, we gonna like it. I'm gonna start giving these young niggas a listen. Yeah, he got the record on there with Future. Yeah, you know, how old is he? I don't know. See, because we just be calling niggas young
Starting point is 00:45:44 because we just learned about him. I don't know how old he he? I don't know. See, because we just be calling niggas young because we just learned about him. I don't know how old he is. I don't know how old he is. I thought he was 16 when I first saw him because he was short. He's 26.
Starting point is 00:45:52 26. 26. All right, that's young enough. But yeah, he got the record on there made back with Future, which is their single now. Oh, that's where the line is from?
Starting point is 00:46:00 That's where the line is from. The Tell Steve Harvey I Don't Want Her. Ah. But he wants her, but he's saying in the Harvey I don't want her. But he wants her. But he's saying in the record, I don't want her. Future, you definitely want her. Oh, he wants her.
Starting point is 00:46:10 100% wants her. Why is that? Why do you guys think that? I think if you're putting that energy out, it says something. When you say it at any point in a record, you want her. If you get on the mic and say, well, except for one instance. You did it. I wanted her.
Starting point is 00:46:36 When I was doing that, I still wanted her. Oh, man. You never know what Steve Harvey might have had to be for some time. He definitely wants it he wants her ish you could try to argue however you want I'm not arguing
Starting point is 00:46:50 for future and if that's an old line you are responsible for when it is released yeah you could change it cause you could change that line especially in this era now
Starting point is 00:47:00 they changing albums in the last hour they changed albums after it dropped yeah you could change that line if you want you wanted that I mean sting a little bit They changing albums in the last hour. They changed albums after it dropped. Yeah. You could change that line if you want. You wanted that to sting a little bit.
Starting point is 00:47:11 It don't sting. She's not feeling it at all. She's happy. She's showing. And you got to own that. When you say the line, you got to be responsible for the state that she's in when the line hits. Like if she's running around having a blast on the PJ with Michael B. Jordan as his name is in every rap song from the hottest of rappers
Starting point is 00:47:31 as he's at the Laker game with Drake with the fucking heart-shaped cut thingamajiggy that I said is dope. A couple people argued with me that it wasn't dope. That little heart-shaped thingamajiggy. Only because of branding and marketing. It's not dope. See, but I think it's dope only because of branding and marketing.
Starting point is 00:47:50 What was it, though? It's a heart. It's a heart in his head. And we're not going to dissect this right now, but he dropped a candle and has an album coming called Certified Lover Boy. You putting a heart in your head and walking around for a year. You're going to do it. I'm not mad at it. You're going to do it. I'm not mad at it.
Starting point is 00:48:06 You're going to do that. And he likes kids, so yeah, he's going to do that. You? You, nigga. Watch your fucking mind. You already look Drake-ish in the face. And I'm not putting no heart in my head.
Starting point is 00:48:17 You might. You would if you was dropping a candle and had an album dropping called Certified Lover Boy. I couldn't go home. And just broke up somebody's eight-year marriage. I'm from Newark. I couldn't really do. And just broke up somebody's eight-year marriage. I'm from Newark.

I had heard, I had heard, this isn't from me, this isn't firsthand. I had heard that there were some artists that we would not believe that may be looking for inspiration from uzi i could see that well and i thought so too well when you say you can't believe it, you say that because, you know,
Starting point is 01:07:27 when you say some of the artists, when you say some of the artists that need to be inspired or look for inspiration, like there's some of them are superstars. So you would never believe that. Still need inspiration, motivation from, you know what I mean? He got the spark.
Starting point is 01:07:46 It's a spark. Yeah, he got the spark. He got the youth. So, yeah, I could see them looking to him for a little bit of inspiration. We only named nine million artists just now in the past 30 minutes. A Boogie and Dirk dropped a single. Oh, I didn't see that. See, motherfucking algorithms is crazy.
Starting point is 01:11:34 And I particularly don't like it. It's very, very, very sing-songy, which I know that's what I would expect from them. But it just sounded like too much. It's like a love song. I love everything that Dirk, A from them, but it just sounded like too much. It's like a love song. I love everything that Dirk, A Boogie, and Highbridge does. I'm a supporter of all of them. I just didn't like this one.
Starting point is 01:11:52 See? That's all. See? That's me showing maturity. Yeah, my man. Talk to him. Money Man and Dolph dropped a single. Kalani dropped a single with the kid that did the Fat Joe mashup. Okay.
Starting point is 01:12:04 All right. Let me tell y'all so y'all don't keep looking at me as y'all announce this stuff. Shout out to Kalani. I love her. All the artists that y'all have named so far, I love. That song was your bag. That's why I looked at you. Kalani and who? Morpheus. The kid that did the...
Starting point is 01:12:18 Oh, I love Morpheus. I love Morpheus. Oh, I got to check that out now. Yeah, you'll like it. Okay, so outside of that, I don't care about all this shit. I don't now. Yeah, you'll like it. Okay, so outside of that, I don't care about all this shit to try. I don't care. I don't give a fuck. Like, y'all getting your shit on. I don't want to know that all these niggas dropped.
Starting point is 01:12:31 Another thing. I stay away from that. The Above the Rim soundtrack has hit DSPs. Oh, that's why it was trending. Oh, this nigga taking us back to 93. You know what? Which is dope, though. Well, I'm saying it's dope
Starting point is 01:12:41 because I forget the person that purchased Death Row's catalog, but now that they're starting to issue, you know, put the projects on streaming, that's pretty dope. Hell yeah. And that's one of the greatest soundtracks of all time.
Starting point is 01:12:54 Yeah, I was seeing some of that shit on like the top 10. I was like, why the fuck is the Bump the Rim trending? Yeah. That makes sense. But they don't have to. Oh, they do got the full version
Starting point is 01:13:03 with pain on there. Okay. Here's an idea. Why don't you to. They don't. Oh, they do got the full version with pain on there. Okay. Here's an idea. Why don't you guys read the track list for every album that came out this year to the fans out there? Okay. And the features. And the production. And the sample clearances.
Starting point is 01:13:19 Yeah, all the engineers, all that. Shut the fuck up. Jesus. It's a busy week, man. What do you want? Yeah, man. Y'all didn't listen. Listen, this shit just came out yesterday.
Starting point is 01:13:28 So? Summer of 94 is ready to die-ish. There's two? What two? Oh, above the rim. I'm not talking. I don't care about that. Y'all have above the rim me out, and I was there.
Starting point is 01:13:42 I was there when it came out, and somehow in 2021, y'all are above the rim of me to death. Listen to this. It has come out that Quincy Jones didn't want to work with Elvis Presley because he's a racist fuck. Now, that's not the story I'm getting to, but I just thought I would deliver it in this.
Starting point is 01:13:57 Yeah, because these guys have a Quincy Jones debate. Wait, we still didn't get the name of Isha's debate team, right? Can we just think of a name? The Eagles. You know they was some birds. Soaring above the clouds. Oh, my God.
Starting point is 01:14:12 You think the clouds is the highest of heights, huh? You just trying to get into some UFOs. You're making me so bad. Above the clouds. No, just think about it. Just give me a name for the debate team so we can move on. Sam, next to the parrots or something. Who was y'all? Yeah, the parrots. The Irvington parrots. The, just think about it. Just give me a name for the debate team so we can move on. Sam, next to the parrots or something.
Starting point is 01:14:25 Who was y'all? Yeah, the parrots. The Irvington parrots. The Irvington tadpoles. Y'all were tadpoles. Yeah, y'all wasn't even froze. The caterpillars. All right, listen.
Starting point is 01:14:37 Fat Joe defends his comparison of DJ Khaled to Quincy Jones. This was a few weeks ago. This is not so recent. When Khaled's album dropped, Fat Joe said what? He said, he said, there's a million DJs and producers that try that and those ain't hit records. And it's been a long time since we've heard Nas and Jay-Z on what to me sounds like a smash hit. That's a smash hit. They can play it on the radio.
Starting point is 01:14:58 It's streaming incredibly. So Khaled really is the Quincy Jones of hip hop right now. End quote. And Ice brought this topic up, and I didn't really have anything to add here because this doesn't, I'm not passionate about this until I heard.
Starting point is 01:15:14 The debate team. Yeah, the debate team got right to it. The Eagles. The great debater. Ice was ready to come on here and say what? That Khaled is not the fucking Quincy Jones of rap. That's what I was ready to say. He did say what? That Khaled is not the fucking Quincy Jones of rap. That's what I was ready to say. He did say right now, though.
Starting point is 01:15:27 Right now, yesterday, tomorrow. No, he's not. Defend it. Why? Yeah, I want to hear you first. Because Quincy Jones actually produced.
Starting point is 01:15:41 Well, no. Khaled is producing. What records are you producing? He produced a all of them produced he didn't make the beat Quincy didn't make the beat either I'm saying
Starting point is 01:15:49 Quincy Jones actually created stars produced like Khaled's not doing that he is arranging and he is producing
Starting point is 01:15:58 Parks hey they are stars no you're grabbing y'all don't dance me in a circle no no no where are all the stars that Quincy Jones created? What you mean?
Starting point is 01:16:10 I said he created stars. I want to hear the stars he created. You want me to run down his list of artists? I would like for you to give me four stars he created. Give me three. If you can't, give me four. So can we? Okay, can we put him with Tevin Campbell
Starting point is 01:16:25 can we give him that he's not a star but I'm gonna give you one he was he had two smash smash one one
Starting point is 01:16:31 smash can we say Mike no more than one but go ahead no you can't say Michael Jones you can say Mike as a solo artist
Starting point is 01:16:37 no you can't as a solo artist he didn't create Michael Jackson he didn't create him but his solo artist he helped him he did not create him he was already a monster artist before he ever got with Quincy Jones.
Starting point is 01:16:47 But his first couple solo albums were not that successful. I'm listening. What are you arguing, Ish? You're saying that Quincy Jones didn't create Megastars? No, I'm saying, yeah. I don't know them off the top of my head. Ice said he created stars, and Khaled does not. So I'm asking Ice, what stars did he create?
Starting point is 01:17:05 Well, you said I can't use Michael Jackson. Like Park said, his first album, which was Got To Be There, you don't even know. Who don't know? We get to Above The Rim and Got To Be There. All right, my bad, my bad. Back to the whole head pod, man. What I'm going to say is this. This is what I'm going to say is this. This is what I'm trying to say. Khaled is taking the biggest artists, putting them with the biggest producers, and throwing
Starting point is 01:17:29 a record out. And that has worked for Khaled for a while. I'll go on record for saying it don't work no more. He just had a number one album. Why doesn't it? Having a number one album in a streaming world works. What other matrix do you have to judge it by? I don't go by streaming numbers. I'm sorry. I'm asking you what other matrix do you have to judge it by? I don't go by streaming numbers.
Starting point is 01:17:45 I'm asking you what other matrix do you have to go by? By Khaled's standards? By Khaled's standards? If you're not going by numbers, then how do you say that that don't work anymore?
Starting point is 01:17:52 Exactly. Okay, well then, hey, listen, maybe I'm wrong in that sense then. I'm still saying by Khaled's album standards with the products that he's put out
Starting point is 01:18:01 over the course of his career, this album don't hold up to me. I will say this. I don't think that Quincy, I don't think that Khaled is Quincy. However, you could make an argument. Yeah, it's an argument. It's not just some
Starting point is 01:18:10 blasphemous statement for him to say, especially in his day and age. It's not crazy. And everybody can't just take artists and put them on an album and create success. Because they don't have relationships with these artists.
Starting point is 01:18:20 No, I didn't finish my sentence. Everybody can't. But wait, but that counts. Wait, time out. Stop. I don't like that. You're right, but that counts. Wait, time out. Stop. I don't like that. That does count. If everybody could call Lil Baby for a feature, we would.
Starting point is 01:18:31 Right? We would. The people that are doing so have the relationships to do so. Same with Drake. Same with 21. Same with. The relationship has to stop being discredited the same way the Capitol has to stop being discredited. Both of those things have to stop just being,
Starting point is 01:18:47 oh, I didn't have the money. I'm just saying they can't do it. I'm not discrediting. I'm not taking nothing away from Khaled. You minimize it, though. You say, yo, ain't a good Khaled album. You minimize it. Like, yo, he goes and gets the best artists.
Starting point is 01:18:59 He does. Mixes them with the best producers, and bam. That ain't easy. See, this is where I stop arguing music stuff with Ice, because when it comes to Khaled, Khaled performed and thrived at Def Jam. Khaled then performed and thrived at Def Jam with different people.
Starting point is 01:19:16 He was also an excellent DJ before he was doing any of that. I ain't even getting into that. He then had an artist thrive. I was using that as an example because Quincy was an amazing trumpet player before he became an amazing producer. Beautiful point. Then he had an artist that thrived. Then he left there and went to E1 and thrived for mad albums over there.
Starting point is 01:19:34 Then he went somewhere else and thrived. All I'm saying is the guy that continues to go wherever he wants and thrives no matter what the system is. Deserves some applause. I got to give it to him. I'm not saying he doesn't. The guy that waited all night long. See, all we heard was fucking, what's the Maria flip with Rihanna and Bryson Tiller? Wild thoughts, yeah.
Starting point is 01:19:57 Wild thoughts. Wow. All we heard was wow, wow, wow. He in the studio spending 27 hours on a Saturday night waiting for Rihanna from the night before to come there. Yeah. Like, there's stuff that goes behind some of the magic. That's work.
Starting point is 01:20:14 Yeah. I'm not going to discredit the work that Khaled does. Again, I'm not discrediting. I'm just saying he's not pointy. That's one, right? That's all I'm saying. And you entitled to that. And two, right?
Starting point is 01:20:22 If I'm Fat Joe, Khaled's brother, Khaled's mentor. entitled to that and two right if i'm fat joe khaled's brother khaled's mentor you are absolutely correct in saying introduced khaled into the game 100 paved the way inspired this is live live familiar right here to the core then i'm saying that khaled is quincy, Steve Jobs, Walt Disney, Barry Gordy. You saying all that? Perfectly fine. And I would want my man to say that about me if I roll out. Instead of saying my album is trash. Like all my friends have ever said anytime I drop something except for Parks and he worked on the album.
Starting point is 01:20:59 It's cool. Don't worry. I'm retired now. People can't use my music career to defame me no but this is the argument that we had last week i don't i'm i'm retired dog i don't argue non-existent virtue i wasn't trying to be funny i'm saying that that was one of the points that i made last week like yo if this is your man right yeah you give him a decent review even if you don't like it you still don't throw it in the gutter so with regards to
Starting point is 01:21:25 to to joe saying like caledon he's supposed to praise his man yeah yes he's supposed to praise it that's what you're supposed to do you feel like you don't get an argument from me again i'm with that even if he's off base he may not be off base by a lot in 2021. Yeah. Right? Okay, Quincy Jones is Quincy Jones. Of course. But again, in 2021, he may be the closest thing we got. I think that's fair. Like I said, he said right now. I think that you could make that valid right now?
Starting point is 01:21:57 Yeah, so I don't think it's blasphemy. I used to say it like it was blasphemous. It was the craziest thing I ever heard. Yeah. He's still saying it. Ice says a lot of crazy things. No, he just sticks to his guns, boy. He sticks to his guns.
Starting point is 01:22:09 You respect him. And don't want to hear it if it's not by an artist sticking to his guns in a golf shirt. Literally. No, they don't stick. They shoot.
Starting point is 01:22:16 Listen, I don't know. I keep my ears away from all of that. From pow pow pow. I keep my ears away from bang bang. Yeah, all of that. I like all of bang bang.
Starting point is 01:22:24 I was scrolling through the timeline. I seen a couple rappers tweeting from jail. I was like, oh shit, he's in jail. Yeah. That's happening now. FaceTimes, Instagrams. Jail has changed, huh? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:22:37 Evidently, if you could tweet. Fax B is still dropping records. I thought they was old. No, they're brand new versus me. I don't know how it's happening. They got a Pro Tools in there, man. Hovain. I don't know how it's happening. got a Pro Tools in there Hovane I don't know how it's happening
Starting point is 01:22:46 I was like These shits is mixed Hovane bringing all the equipment Up the end of the jail Letting Max B do What he gotta do man Shout out to Hov man Oh shit
Starting point is 01:22:54 Look You thought he was joking Yeah He released something 75 in a can He released it today You got more coming 75 in the can
Starting point is 01:23:03 Look at your face I didn't hear it I can't wait to hear it though I thought my heart You got more coming. 75 in the can. Look at your face. I didn't hear it. I can't wait to hear it, though. I thought my heart sunk to my little stomach standing before the judge about community service. Like, it's just some moments where I try to put myself in the individual's shoes, and I fail tremendously. Max B reading the title 75 in the can is one of those moments for me. No, your face just showed it.
Starting point is 01:23:27 Your face was like. Fam, he got sentenced. I know. You know what's crazy? To 75 in a can. So, look. I was at Max's trial, right? And the dude next from Amalgam came up there and played. What?
Starting point is 01:23:44 Hold on, man. That was the label that he was on so he came up there and he played Max's I Never Wanna Go Back and it was Max's first time hearing like the finished product of the song we standing in the courthouse
Starting point is 01:24:01 Hackensack courthouse he played the record and in the record Max is just saying like yo I never want to go back to jail I'm trying to do right and all of this and he damn near
Starting point is 01:24:10 teared up at hearing the song I'm sure then you walk in and due to his fucking lawyer you get smacked with 75 years
Starting point is 01:24:19 and it was just that was a heartbreaking day man I'm sure that's it I ain't nothing it I'm gonna find I wanna say You know what What you wanna say
Starting point is 01:24:31 That shit's crazy Don't do that I can't Don't do that That shit was nice Don't do it I got it I got it
Starting point is 01:24:38 I got it Oh yeah yeah yeah I got it Pick a song I got it man Cause y'all I'm trying to take it to I can read your mind Cause I see where I got it. Pick us up. I got it, man. Because y'all, I'm trying to take it to it.
Starting point is 01:24:47 I can read your mind. Because I see where your little debate brain is going. I see what you want to say to him. Please don't. Thank you. Can you say it off the camera? Honey, honey. I can see the stars all the way from here. Mic check, it's still 90 degrees out there Depending on where you are in the world
Starting point is 01:25:05 Hey! Yeah, it might be a beach day, man I might have to put love on top on the Bluetooth and go There you go I might have to do it Woo! I'm tired of getting here to here But I know It's gonna take a little while Nothing's perfect but it's worth it
Starting point is 01:25:30 Have to fight to do Yo I gotta shout out J. Cole's harmonies on Pride is the Devil 2 He smoked that Baby it's you You're the one I love You're the one I need You're the only one I need. Come on, baby, it's you.
Starting point is 01:25:49 You're the one that keeps me going. You're the one I can always call. I'm feeling better already. Look at that. You make everything stop. Finally, you put my goal, put my goal, put my goal. Never fails. Never fails.
Starting point is 01:26:02 I'm feeling better already, gentlemen. Dog, I'd be in my car playing that record. You just do it. I wonder what gets you in a bad mood, though. I have women in my life. Who I smoke? Nah. Oh, you mean what?
Starting point is 01:26:15 Music get me in a bad mood? Yeah. Oh, yeah. What songs are like the opposite of who I smoke? Joe. Oh, Joe. Joe, I'll have you a little. I feel like all my records
Starting point is 01:26:25 Are inspiring What? Motivational No no To jump Yeah Is that what you think Of my music?
Starting point is 01:26:35 Mmhmm No Is that the message You want to send During mental health month? That the Joe Budden catalog Is what gets you to jumping If you're feeling down.
Starting point is 01:26:45 I didn't write the songs. It's definitely Smoke a Pack of Cigs music. But you was with me when I was pinning some of them. I was happy. No, some of them were great. Thank you. I appreciate it. No, I got a playlist of yours in my phone that I literally will only cut on if it's
Starting point is 01:27:02 pouring rain. I never want to hear that Joe Budden playlist. Too happy. I'm just telling you. This nigga said, I only cut it on if it's pouring rain. I never want to hear that Joe Budden playlist. Too happy. I'm just telling you. This nigga said, I only cut it on when it's pouring raining. That's nice. I believe you. And it hit.
Starting point is 01:27:12 What does it do, though? It just take your mind and put you there. Where's there? Stop debating my catalog. You don't have to find the debate in everything. He said he put it on when it's raining. Leave him alone. That's scary.
Starting point is 01:27:24 He's an eagle, man. What do you want from him? No, that's scary. A tide pole. All right, another really horrible story. Really horrible story. Brazilian singer MC Kevin fell to death from hotel balcony as he tried to hide from wife after threesome with model. Damn.
Starting point is 01:27:44 Oh, man. This guy looks young. How old is MCesome with model. Damn. Oh, man. This guy looks young. How old is MC Kevin? 26. No. No, the chick was 26. No, he's 26. A testimony reveals that Bianca Dominguez, 26,
Starting point is 01:27:56 said she met the 23-year-old artist and his pal Victor Fontanelli, and the trio had a sex and alcohol-fueled evening. All right. No, let me see more. I'm trying to read. Come on, scroll, nigga. What are you doing? There we go.
Starting point is 01:28:10 The information obtained by thedalemail.com says, Fontanelli asked Dominguez if she would have paid sex with Kevin, whose real name is... We don't need all that. What happened to me? Dominguez told investigators that she heard Kevin say that he was going to give her a little gift and followed the two men into room 502 at the hotel she initially refused blah blah i'm trying to however when he arrived fontanelli was already having sex with dominguez so he left
Starting point is 01:28:35 but then returned to the room later and expressed all right this is too much i'm not reading i'm never you know this i'm trying to find out what made him think that somebody was coming and put him in fear enough to jump. Fontanelli was also sent a WhatsApp message by the security guard and told Kevin that they had to leave the room so that he didn't get found out by his wife, who Kevin only married two weeks prior. They decided to continue. And then he heard a knock at the door, thought it was his wife. So he wanted to get out of the room oh no look fontanelli told cops that he went to clean himself up and then spotted kevin dangling from the balcony as he held on to the rail in an attempt to lower himself onto a hotel suite
Starting point is 01:29:19 on the fourth floor that's what i'm looking for. Damn. Because I don't like that headline. The headline insinuates that, I'm not going to speak about what it insinuates, but, okay, that makes a little more sense. He was trying to dangle onto one of the other balconies and probably just failed at doing so. Either way,
Starting point is 01:29:44 this is a really bad story. I wasn't familiar with the gentleman. He's 23 years old. But, yeah. That's crazy. But when you watch the news, that's the type of shit that you hear,
Starting point is 01:29:54 is the young niggas. That's why I'm watching. Yeah, that shit is depressing. Yeah, they don't put good, they don't put anything good on the news anyway. Rest in peace.
Starting point is 01:30:03 Rest in peace to MC Kevin uh shout out to his fans prayers are with y'all this has to have that has to be just the uh the it being so so abrupt right so sudden right like granted death is a part of life but when it's just so sudden that way 23 yo you ain't really live life you didn't start 23 no you know I'm saying like you yeah it's terrible no not at all um what else do we have is there any more death I hope not yeah I just want to make make sure keep it over there I think that's it not whatever it is like you ain't even got to bring it up. If we don't know about it, you know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 01:30:49 Got it. True. Good point. You gentlemen didn't answer my question from earlier when we were talking about the future verse on the Doug record. When he said, tell Steve Harvey I don't want her. And we made some jokes. But I was asking you gentlemen, when it is you realize that you don't want her and we made we made some jokes but i was asking you gentlemen when it is you realize that you don't want it like the real not what you tell your homeboys not what you tell your instagram
Starting point is 01:31:12 when you find something new nah i gotta disagree with that um i'm gonna give you a real answer i'm gonna let it go though i think it's a mental thing like a mental and emotional thing the wise guy can't go second he's too wise he come right in with wisdom no like you don't think about you you when you're going through a break and that's my answer to actually what everything you're saying i got totally different like you bump into it by mistake you realize that you're not thinking about her anymore you realize you're not checking her page you're not texting four days you're not calling yeah because you're in something new hey the Like, damn, yeah. You're not texting. Four days before I'm on. You're not calling. Yeah, because you're in something new.
Starting point is 01:31:46 Hey, the other women, no, no, no, no. The other woman that you're talking to, you're no longer comparing her to them now. That's true. Now you going to places,
Starting point is 01:31:54 the times y'all spent there, they don't even pop in your brain and you wake up one day and say, oh, shit, I'm over it. I agree. So I agree with Ish, but I would like to hear
Starting point is 01:32:03 Ice's immature answer. It ain't even immature. When you know is when you can't get her. No, that's not true, man. What type of loser shit is he talking about over here? Sounds like a foot action worker
Starting point is 01:32:19 answer to me. Let me finish on that. So what I'm saying is... Oh, he's taking the other side of a debate that is obviously wrong. He me finish on that. Let me finish on that. So what I'm saying is- Oh, he's taking the other side of a debate that is obviously wrong. He's an eagle too. He's doing a debate. Put that nigga with the eagles. He's an eagle.
Starting point is 01:32:32 I'm the eagle? I'd rather be the eagle than the tadpole. He did used to drop down and get his eagle on. The fuck? I didn't know. You never dropped down and got your eagle on? I never dropped down and got my eagle. In Jersey Girl?
Starting point is 01:32:42 No. Oh, okay. That wasn't you then. No, it was not me. I ain't see that nigga. Okay, it was in Jersey, girl. No. Oh, okay. That wasn't you then. No, it was not me. I ain't see that in you. Okay, it was another boy headed ice. No, it wasn't.
Starting point is 01:32:49 Would it be? I got it here. From Elizabeth. Would it be? Named officially Ice on Twitter. Wearing answers, Iverson answers.
Starting point is 01:32:58 Maybe it was somebody else. But go ahead. These questions. That is the craziest thing I ever... No, no, no. What I'm saying is it's a form of accept,
Starting point is 01:33:04 like, you know, your five stages of grief. You realize. But what if you can get her? I can't get her. But what if you can get her and you just don't want her? Because you not wanting her is a big different thing than I can't have her. Sometimes they meet together. That's true.
Starting point is 01:33:18 Is what I'm saying. Sometimes they meet together. But if I want her, even if I can't get her, I still don't stop it. Yeah, they meet together if you're a fucking loserball. But if I want her, even if I can't get her, I still don't stop it. Yeah, they meet together if you're a fucking loser. Never mind, Joe. Never mind. Yo, me not wanting her don't have nothing to do with... You can tell Ice ain't experienced being wanted.
Starting point is 01:33:39 Nope. My baby want me, so that's all I need. But were you surprised when you found out? What? That she wanted you found out? What? That she wanted you? No. No? No.
Starting point is 01:33:48 Okay. Not your baby, baby. You mean... I'm talking about my girl. His girlfriend. Not my baby. No. No, I didn't know what you meant.
Starting point is 01:33:54 I wasn't joking. No, no, no. You're talking about my girl. Got you. I like Ice's girlfriend. I like my friends better when I like their girlfriend. Fair. They're better people.
Starting point is 01:34:03 Yeah. Way better people when the girl was nice i agree with that yeah that's true so you you know when no i'm asking i want to make sure i'm listening come on you thought i was gonna say a joke about your girl i wasn't why you i didn't you'll be coming for me i don't be coming for you fam i'm sorry take that see already that little that little online sensitivity class already you took it online yep you thought i was gonna really go really going to one no paid a little 4. No, I'm joking. I'm joking, I'm joking. I was insensitive. $64.
Starting point is 01:34:48 All right, order, order. I was the only one out of order. Order. Okay, where was I? We were talking about... Future. Being sensitive. Oh, yeah, I was saying some bullshit. What bullshit?
Starting point is 01:35:04 It's cool. You know you don't want her anymore when you can't have her anymore. That's not what I'm saying. That's what you said. I'm saying they meet. Sometimes they meet. You even agree.
Starting point is 01:35:13 No, sometimes they meet, but your premise was you don't want her. I'm not saying that's the only time. There's different times when you don't want her no more. You could be over it. Just like, oh, fuck that chick. Oh, you got exes you feel like you can't have anymore?
Starting point is 01:35:24 Wow. I don't have exes. Wow, that's different. You don oh you got exes you feel like you can't have anymore wow i don't have i don't have exes wow that's different you don't have any exes yes you got exes you feel like you can't have anymore no that's arrogant same you're asking me a question no listen i'm with the same i was gonna bring it to you. No, no, no. Okay. You're going to have them all? I mean, I wouldn't know because I'm not putting that energy out there.
Starting point is 01:35:51 I said if you wanted them back. Oh, yeah. Gotcha. All of them. They raise us to believe you can do anything you put your mind to. And then when you become an adult, they tell you all the shit that you probably can't get accomplished. mind to and then when you become an adult they tell you all the shit that you probably can't get accomplished yeah so yes i think that if there was some synergy there hopefully there's some left that i could you know i mean okay try to catch him on one day if god finds me in that that place
Starting point is 01:36:17 where x just pops back up throw god into it i like you got to got to throw a little God up in there sprinkle a little God in there a little God dust just smooths over the arrogance look he smooths the arrogance right on over
Starting point is 01:36:32 alright alright our man is back at it he's back at it he just won't pull out will he oh man congratulations
Starting point is 01:36:43 let me hit the round of applause oh round of applause. Round of applause for Nick Cannon, who apparently is expecting his seventh child, fourth child this year, if my math serves me correctly. What's this year? 2021? Calendar year. Calendar year. Months. Calendar year. what's this year 2021 calendar calendar calendar year nine months ago someone was pregnant and then someone's pregnant with twins now currently and then there's this beautiful
Starting point is 01:37:17 young lady talk to them niggas nick well he's not talking to niggas that's the problem he won't talk to niggas. That's the problem. He won't talk to niggas. Now, I understand what you're saying. Nick Cannon is out there spreading his oats. He's spreading his dust. Beautiful women everywhere. A little God dust. A little God dust.
Starting point is 01:37:41 He got some God dust. But clearly, he subscribes to the thinking that, you know, a king should have. Spread my seed. Yeah. God does. He got some God. But clearly he subscribes to the thinking that, you know, a king should have. Spread my seed. Yeah. God bless. And if you can afford to do that. I was about to say, if you have that much money. Congratulations to you.
Starting point is 01:37:53 And even deeper than that, if you have that type of camaraderie amongst your faithful. Yeah. Then, yeah. It's impressive. Nick continues to be a shining beacon of hope to all of us men out there a leading example of how to persevere okay no he's great and they all are and they all are beautiful they all are beautiful. They all are beautiful women. Good for him, man. I'm hitting him.
Starting point is 01:38:26 Round of applause. Yeah, congrats. Two more. You hear Isha on the mic. Damn, that shit. We're recording. He's shooting up the club. Yo, go ahead.
Starting point is 01:38:32 Look at the shots. Yo, go ahead. Look at the shots, he says. Yeah, no. Shout out to Nick Cannon. Congratulations. I almost thought that the news was wrong. Like, I was reading.
Starting point is 01:38:45 I had to literally read it five times. Are they still as Nick? Like, Nick Cannon? Is this the old story? No. Would y'all do that? Would y'all just spread them all out? Hell no.
Starting point is 01:38:58 No. That sounds complicated. Ice says no. Well, Ice, you got clipped anyway. No, it would depend on the scenario. Allipped anyway Nah it would depend On the scenario All jokes aside It would depend on the scenario Like
Starting point is 01:39:08 A lot of people Really do believe Like yo If you can spread them out Spread them out I think it depends on The relationship That you have
Starting point is 01:39:18 With the women I think that's really important And I also think It depends on your Financial situation Sure Yeah Because you have
Starting point is 01:39:25 to really be able to you know or you should want to be able to provide accordingly and yeah a lot of tuition yeah these niggas starting a club it's Nick Cannon it's future it's NBA young boy these niggas are not playing around now you take like the most sentimental of topics and somehow turn them and somehow turn them, yeah, turn them into the most ghetto toxified. That's not,
Starting point is 01:39:50 yeah, that's not, yo, they're all doing that though. We talking about this guy welcoming life into the world and you want to bring up future and NBA young boy.
Starting point is 01:39:57 But they're doing the same thing. That's what I'm saying. They're spread, these are people that are of a certain financial class that are spreading their seed. I don't know if they're doing the same thing and I they're spreading their seed i don't know if they're doing the same thing and i don't know and i don't know any i don't know any of them
Starting point is 01:40:10 getting the same result oh well i'm not talking about the baby part that's what i'm talking about the baby and you're wrong you can get a baby more than one way what i'm saying to you uh ice is a lot of times and i don't know any of these gentlemen's business but a lot of times when these uh celebrities names come up in know any of these gentlemen's business, but a lot of times when these celebrities' names come up in these types of events, there's a woman bashing them. True, true, true, true, true. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 01:40:31 The woman is bashing the other woman. Correct. Like, we've seen this for the last year, two years, however many years here. Absolutely, absolutely. So Nick Cannon,
Starting point is 01:40:39 you don't see a fucking peep. That's what I'm saying. Hey, he ain't bought an AP. That's not to knock the people to do that. I would do it. He ain't bought a fucking peep that's not to knock the people to do that i would do it uh he ain't bought a watch a car well that's our knowledge i said we don't he doesn't flaunt that we don't know no well that's why i said that too i said it depends on the relationship that you have with the women like that's important you know what i'm saying like that's really important you
Starting point is 01:41:02 can feel like yo you'll be a great mom i would love to have a child with you are we in the same mental space right and you could just do it not saying I'm gonna be in a relationship with you not saying we're gonna be we could just I would love to share this experience with you that's dope to me if everybody's mature about it there were 72 games played in the NBA this year in which R.J. Barrett played all 72. 11 players played all 72. Of those 11 players, R.J. Barrett played the most minutes. I think that should be awarded like the Cal Ripken Award, right?
Starting point is 01:41:43 Okay. I'm trying to see where you're going with it. Yeah. So for me, that's the equivalent of when Nick was with Mariah and everybody was shitting on Nick saying, oh, Mariah's the baddest. How did Nick Cannon get this?
Starting point is 01:41:56 And since that game, he hasn't missed a game. Since that game, game all those years ago every game since then has been that that's the Cal Ripken award he shows up every time
Starting point is 01:42:22 without a peep no noise no no drama, no mess. We ain't even heard. We ain't heard nothing about child support. This super dick nigga might be wearing a condom. Listen, for you to go on this type of streak,
Starting point is 01:42:38 you just don't know, man. You just don't. It's impressive. No, it is. And I'm with you ish. Like if I could find find if you find that
Starting point is 01:42:45 union where where you are happy enough to get into that then cool if you don't if you've had a rough time i can see how your experience might be jaded your outlook might be a little jaded so when i see shit like this like i think it's super dope that they're gonna just have a tribe of kids to grow up with like i do be liking that from the big family when the big friend when the big family could say uh when the big family is known at school because my whole family have come up here my whole family's downstairs they go to this year they was chasing my whole family and fuck you up yeah i like that so to see a big i like just like that i just like the idea of it if you can get it off yeah get it off and this is the way if and piggyback on what you say philip rivers could never that's the way to do it huh philip rivers idea of it. If you can get it off, get it off.
Starting point is 01:43:25 Piggyback on what you said. Phillip Rivers could never. That's the way to do it. Phillip Rivers got a lot too. Yeah, but he trying to be like the Kings. Wait, who's the dudes that got a... Phillip Rivers, let's get the... We have a lot of kids. All first team. Phillip Rivers.
Starting point is 01:43:42 He's got a bunch. Nick Cannon. Future. All first team. Phillip Rivers. He's got a bunch. Who was he just talking about? Nick Cannon. Future. Who was that? Future. But who was that from the Jets? That was Cromartie.
Starting point is 01:43:52 Cromartie. Cromartie. I think he got 13. Cromartie got a bunch. Didn't Sean Kemp have a lot of kids back in the 90s? Yeah, he did too. I don't know. Yeah, that was a thing.
Starting point is 01:44:00 I think eight. Oh, 10. Oh, if you got eight kids, you're on a list. Sean Kemp got eight kids? He had. Your young boy is on the list. This is a little squad. I just said.
Starting point is 01:44:11 Hey, hey, I don't know who out there is. What month are we in? Go down, go down, go down. Listen, let me help you all out. Let me do a little bit of math. I'm bad at math. We are in May. Some of y'all today are fucking,
Starting point is 01:44:23 and y'all going to have kids y'all gonna have kids nine to eight to ten months from now right and in 20 years your kid gonna have to deal with all the NBA
Starting point is 01:44:33 young boys kids what no he right he's got six I believe I'm grabbing my kids. My kids are going to be homeschooled. My kids are going to be homeschooled. I'm not sending my kids to school with all of Dirk's kids and young boys' kids.
Starting point is 01:44:54 Oh, man. What if the niggas try and bring my daddy to school? You got it. Fuck the brothers. I'm bringing pops to school. How many kids Scottie Pippen got? Seven. No, I don't want to go back to the 90s.
Starting point is 01:45:06 Don't take me to the 90s. I don't care who was fucking in the 90s. It just lists everybody in the NBA and most kids. This is five. No, you need more than five kids to be on this list. You need more than seven to be on this list. Eight and up. Eight and up. Alright, I'm off of this, man. Congratulations to Nick Cannon.
Starting point is 01:45:21 Let me hit the round of applause again. Again for that Black King. Celebrate him. Another Black King more for this man congratulations to nick cannon let me hit the round of applause again again for that black king celebrate him oh another black king here we go here we go kwame brown has not left the scene as soon as i went dark he started going and i'm watching my mouth with him actually yeah please do i was about to say he going ham no No, no, no. But he might think that's disrespectful. And that's not what I'm here for. Word. I'm here for peace, love. I'm here to be a fountain, not a drain.
Starting point is 01:45:53 I'm here to keep the energy light. So I'm going to try to report on the story without ever becoming part of this story. Because I think there's a janky trigger. Like, it keeps shooting. It's a really... What do they call that, a hair trigger? They call it something. It keeps...
Starting point is 01:46:20 Listen, every hour he starts off with a different name. He let Jamel Hill have it. Did he? off with a different name. He let Jemele Hill have it. Did he? Yes. Oh, dog. Not that young queen. See, and this is where I knew that I wanted to be careful reporting on this.
Starting point is 01:46:34 Because he was getting that Jemele Hill, shout out to Jemele Hill, friend of the show. It ain't safe. It ain't safe. Just for saying, I think she said he woke up and chose violence. Yes. For like a week straight. Yeah, but that's what she said. That was enough to trigger it.
Starting point is 01:46:48 Oh, my bad. I take that back. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That was Parks. What's your last name? Don't worry about it. Don't worry about it. We cool, man.
Starting point is 01:46:57 Big fan. Big fan. Yeah, just that one line was enough. Yeah, I chose violence. It's an expression from Game of Thrones. I didn't call you violent. Please and thank you. See, just that one line was enough. Yeah, I chose violence. It's an expression from Game of Thrones. I didn't call you violent, please and thank you. See, I agree with her. I thought somebody should have let Kwame Brown know that.
Starting point is 01:47:11 But then when I was thinking about it, I was like, no, don't let him know. Don't tell him that that's just slang and she didn't mean it. Just back out. Leave it alone. You got it, bro. Leave it alone. My bad. He is still on.
Starting point is 01:47:24 My bad. He is still on Stephen Jackson and Matt Barnes. For whatever the reason be, I'm minding my business. Now, you know what makes it really funny? I don't know anything. His accent makes it. What makes it funny? Antoine. What's your last name?
Starting point is 01:47:40 Antoine Fisher. Come on, bro. What's your Twitter or something? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Let Kwame know where to find you at what Irvington Park you be hooping at
Starting point is 01:47:48 alright now go ahead you were saying what nah his accent makes it he's 6'11 oh you think his accent is funny
Starting point is 01:47:55 Antoine nah pussy ass nigga yo that shit is the best yo he's funny you laughing
Starting point is 01:48:03 when he calls somebody pussy ass nigga I was I mean that shit is the best when yo. He's funny. You laughing when he calls somebody a pussy ass nigga. I was. I mean, that shit is the best when I'm listening with the phone screen in front of me. Face to face might not be so good. Now, if he was in front of me. It might not be that funny. Huge fan.
Starting point is 01:48:15 Huge fan. Just standing there at seven foot whatever with quick feet, mad at any of the fucking Kwame Brown jokes somebody might have made in the last 20 years. Oh, you could have a hard day. You could. Nah, he's funny though. Sal in the last 20 years. Oh, you could have a hard day. You could. Nah, he's funny though. Salute the legend, man. Who's the legend?
Starting point is 01:48:30 Kwame Brown. That was Antoine Fish F-I. Nah, I was just asking who you was talking to. Yeah, nah. Legend. Legendary basketball player.
Starting point is 01:48:43 Yo, you really got jokes. What's your stat line what's your address oh man yo no it's fine you a laker fan you shouldn't joke on him what did he do for the lakers this oh see you've been hoping he rebounded when cory's um did you see those screens and i'm not jumping into this because kwame brown gonna fuck y'all up and i don't want no smoke now listen matt barnes replied i don't want to get into uh you guys matt barnes replied to uh kwame brown he invited him to the show he said that uh these media outlets just want to see the uh the destruction of black men they want to see black men go at each other they don't love us they only love conflict uh he said there might have been some pain behind the message
Starting point is 01:49:29 uh and he said that kwame brown obviously has a story to share so please come to the platform and share it and if at any time before during or after you want to throw hands you know i'm absolutely with throwing hands and we we can shake hands afterward. And that be the end of that. Now, I thought that Matt Barnes handled that terrifically. I did too. Which tells me that he probably didn't. Because I am a horrible judge of how people should handle these things.
Starting point is 01:50:00 But I thought he did great. I don't know about inviting him to the hands. I don't know if that, you know. Matt Barnes. he did great. I don't know about inviting him to the hands. I don't know if that, you know. Matt Barnes got in his car. I'm not even going to talk about it, man. Matt Barnes drove on a highway to fight.
Starting point is 01:50:15 No, you're missing it. No, you're calling me pussy-ass nigga. You saying all this. I'll fuck you up. Alright, cool. He hopped in a car, took a long drive, Yeah, it wasn't like around the corner. And still had the anger inside of him. You ever took a long, beautiful
Starting point is 01:50:32 drive? I ain't looking at it that way. He was still with the smoke. Yeah, he was at PCH. Cali is one of the best drives ever. You know he smoked on the way there. For sure. And I'm shutting up before Kwame Brown and Matt Barnes want to do something to me. But no you know matt barnes is with all the smoke yeah so when you could say that calmly yeah when you could calmly be like listen before during or after if you feel the need to we can we
Starting point is 01:50:58 can shake hands and we can come into like i believe that i believe it so matt barnes said all that i thought it was perfectly handled. I thought it was well said. And I was looking forward to Kwame Brown coming up there and doing the show. Until I heard Kwame Brown reply. What'd he say? Fuck you and your show. Fuck you.
Starting point is 01:51:16 Fuck the show. Fuck your advice. Don't give me no advice. He said a lot of other things that I won't ever repeat. But yeah. Becky with the good hair. He said a lot of other things that I won't ever repeat. Becky with the good hair. He said a little bit. So Kwame Brown, for those of you that don't know,
Starting point is 01:51:30 Kwame Brown has a YouTube channel. Oh, okay. And that's where a lot of the sauce is. I'm going to subscribe. Support him. I support creatives. Yeah, me too. Just saying, I'm subscribed.
Starting point is 01:51:45 That would be such a good episode, though, to see Kwame Brown on all the smoke. Is that the name of his? Wait, that's not. Is that his channel? Yes. Keep supporting. Kwame Brown bust life is where you will find him. Look, 93,000 subscribers.
Starting point is 01:52:01 Be one of them. He's really done well for himself. I'm imagining that this was recently created everything is a day ago two days ago a hundred thousand subscribers in a matter of a week is amazing yeah I made the round of applause again for him I'm not gonna offer any advice he came at all he came at the Breakfast Club he came at he's coming everybody he was dissing them too stop trying to get me to repeat things that I don't want to repeat. You just said he came at the breakfast club.
Starting point is 01:52:27 But I didn't even want to say it. You said I waited to the end of the topic to sneak it in. Hey, he came at the breakfast club. And here you go. He came at Charlamagne. Stop. Stop it. Stop it, man.
Starting point is 01:52:41 Jesus. Oh, man. Yeah, he got it, man. He. Oh, man. Yeah, he got it, man. He got it. My bad. I hope that one day we'll be able to see this continue minus the... What'd you say? No, Ish looked at me because I said, you got it.
Starting point is 01:53:00 I said, listen, I'm pussy. So you got it. Talking about Kwame Byrne. I know, but even I'm pussy. So, you got it. Talking about Kwame Brown. I know, but even pussy you can't say. I guess because pussy's soft and delicate. What?
Starting point is 01:53:14 You can't use it. What? I'm saying that that's misogynistic. That sensitivity training kicking in, boy. I'm saying that that is misogynistic. To say that I'm pussy as a man. Okay. Look who I've turned it to. Well, no, I. I'm saying that that is misogynistic. To say that I'm pussy as a man. Okay. Look who I've turned into.
Starting point is 01:53:28 Well, no, I really wouldn't admit that now. Oh, you serious? Yeah, I'm dead serious now. Okay, got it. To say you're referring to yourself being pussy saying that you wouldn't fight Kwame Brown, who's taller and more athletic, meaning afraid. And that's where the misogyny. I'm not afraid.
Starting point is 01:53:42 Go ahead. That's where the misogynistic undertone comes in. Fearful, afraid. Cowardly. Soft. Yeah. Soft? Delicate.
Starting point is 01:53:49 You can say soft. Okay. So that makes it misogynistic. To use pussy as a synonym for those things is misogynistic. Oh. Okay. I ain't never looked at it that way. It's funny all the things that men don't even know are misogynistic.
Starting point is 01:54:04 Like, I didn't know that until you. And this not the podcast point for that, but that's pretty interesting What's the little tadpole or conjuring up over there We all go to cancel culture with Chris Rock I'm cold. What's the little tadpole conjuring up over there? I'm not saying nothing. We all go to cancel culture with Chris Rock, man. That's a good stuff. Hey, I see what you did there. Come on, Ish. I'm learning.
Starting point is 01:54:33 Eagles are soaring. I like that. I like that, Ish. It's nuts. I like that. The Eagles are soaring. Chris Rock speaks out against cancel culture,
Starting point is 01:54:42 says it creates unfunny and boring comedy content. That's insensitive. No, it's true. It is true. But why is this a story now that Chris Rock is saying this? We've known this for a little while now. Every comedian has said this for the last few years.
Starting point is 01:54:55 That's Chris Rock. He's a legend. But Chris Rock has said this for the last few years. Now it's getting too excessive, though. Where Ice can't call himself pussy on a platform without somebody saying something about it where you can't well no female you can say what you want you should just know how it that it's being received misogynistic by some people I don't mean you can't say it just know that you will be able to probably do this misogynist problem comes with saying it being viewed as misogynistic. The problem comes with saying it, being viewed as misogynistic
Starting point is 01:55:25 leads to someone trying to cancel you. And that's kind of what he's talking about. You can't pretty much say or do anything because they're in fear
Starting point is 01:55:34 of being canceled. You know what you can do and say though, which is so ironic? What? You can say nigga all day. You could diss black people all fucking day
Starting point is 01:55:42 and black men and nobody says a word. But the second that you say something about somebody else or some other ethnicity or some other gender, then it's fucking all hell breaks loose. Know what it sound like? They squad deep and we not. That might be it then. That's what it is. There's fear of pissing them off because they move in numbers.
Starting point is 01:56:03 They make shit happen. We don't They just own some shit I think there's They just own some shit Not even owning shit bro It's certain groups They don't own shit
Starting point is 01:56:11 Oh good point But they mobilize No no They impact shit Some of them own shit too Behind closed doors That's That's not true
Starting point is 01:56:18 I said certain But But no that's crazy I just think it gets to a point where Again like Again I don't want to be the dick but even like you took a really fun topic like watch this even with the
Starting point is 01:56:34 bully shit right we all got well not all of us but when we were coming up bullying was a part of your maturation process right it teaches you how to deal with difficulties in certain situations. Right?
Starting point is 01:56:50 It builds character. It builds character, yes. You're making a face. I'm waiting until I finish hearing your point. No, I'm just saying. So now, again, when you're bullying somebody to the point, I guess with the new internet age, it could get obsessive.
Starting point is 01:57:03 But, dog, kids got bullied when we were young motherfuckers got picked on and cracked on and teased and punched when we were kids you grew from it this is the most misogynistic I remember this is right though
Starting point is 01:57:18 yo we were so close to being home scot free we were safe I to being home, Scott Free. Hold on, hold on, y'all. Hold on. Wait, wait, wait. We were safe. I made it dark for weeks. All that's good. All right.
Starting point is 01:57:31 Bruh, that's. No, you're right. You're right. Ish, Ish, Ish. Y'all want to have real conversations? Yes. No. Conversation.
Starting point is 01:57:38 No. In the subject of bullying that you brought up, while I do agree with some of that, in the subject of bullying that you brought up, right, there is a difference between bullying today and bullying when what we are used to. I said that based on the internet. The internet can make it a little more severe when you're- It's a lot more severe. I agree. It's the reason why kids-
Starting point is 01:57:57 The internet guns make it more severe. They had guns back then too? They had guns then though. They had guns back then. I know, and I stayed away from the bullies with the guns. I'm not talking about that. That's how guns work. No, no, Joe.
Starting point is 01:58:07 Oh, shit. What's happening? He's serious. He's not playing. That was shiny. He can't take a joke. See, Ish, a kid gets bullied in school in our era. Well, before me.
Starting point is 01:58:22 Your eyes triggered. No, I'm not triggered. What school he went to? Joe trying to joke. They bullied me in Bergen High School. Well, you before me. Your eyes triggered. I'm not triggered. What school we went to? Joe trying to joke. They didn't bully me in Bergen High School. Yeah, I know. It wasn't no fucking
Starting point is 01:58:29 Bergen High School. That's why. Nah, but a kid getting bullied back then. Come on now, let's get serious now. A kid getting bullied back then, it stays in a school.
Starting point is 01:58:39 No. Or maybe the neighborhood to an extent. A kid gets bullied today, they cannot escape it. These kids open their phone, you got strangers all across the world clowning you, you don't know. And these kids ain't mentally built for that. Which is why they take, I can't say that word, but which is why it's affecting them at a rate that it didn't affect the kids in our era.
Starting point is 01:59:00 All right, so let me ask you this. And I want you to stay right there. Okay. So what separates kids being bullied and adults being bullied? error. All right, so let me ask you this. I want you to stay right there. Okay. So, what separates kids being bullied and adults being bullied? Oh, you took my next thought. When you go on somebody's platform and say, yo, your shit is trash, that is a form
Starting point is 01:59:13 of bullying. The shit is trash, though. You stand by it, though. Uh-oh. Uh-oh. The eagles. The eagles are sorry. Okay. Hey, no. No, he's right. He is absolutely right. That is internet bullying.
Starting point is 01:59:28 He's right. That is internet bullying. Let's go there then. I'm critiquing. I'm critiquing. No, no, no. I'm done. We're not going to do that.
Starting point is 01:59:34 If you're going to have this conversation. Let's have it then. Let's really have it. Don't change the name from bullying to critiquing. Okay, I'm bullying you on your trash fucking album. Exactly. So now you're saying. So what?
Starting point is 01:59:44 It's trash. But you're. I'm not. Okay, I'm bullying you on your trash fucking album. Exactly. So now you're saying. So what? It's trash. I'm not. Okay, cool. So when a little kid or somebody else is getting bullied at school, what is the difference? This is a fucking child, bro. These is kids. I'm talking about adults, bro. A lot of adults are children, nigga. And you think
Starting point is 01:59:59 adults feelings can't get hurt? Yeah, they can. All right. This is where, this is why I'm not even jumping in here. I like y'all debate. I'm not getting into this because my thoughts on this are my thoughts. And we see adults get bullied all the time. In my mind, I still- I think we've all been bullied on this podcast. Yeah, but I don't want us to-
Starting point is 02:00:17 But nobody cares about how the adults feel. Stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop. It's not jokey, jokey time for two seconds. Stop, stop, stop. It's not jokey, jokey time for two seconds. Sometimes bullying or abuse, just in general as a whole, leads to death. Yes. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:00:34 So y'all are talking about internet. That's cute for now, but it's not cute to some. Exactly. Ice is talking about album critiques, which to him is cute. To some, it's not. See, if we always in our feelings then we missing somebody else's feelings and for me that story of the young
Starting point is 02:00:52 man I think that's Atlanta who got rolled up in the gym mat and shoved underneath the bleachers that I think they're trying to retry now thank god let me hit the round of applause cause that took years and years of work. Kendrick Johnson.
Starting point is 02:01:10 Kendrick Johnson, 17-year-old student athlete at Loundez High School in Georgia. Valdosta, Georgia, if I'm pronouncing that correctly. Around 9.30 p.m., Kendrick's mom. I'm not reading this story right now because it's sad, but they found him rolled up in a in a gym mat underneath the bleacher rest in peace i hope they get justice for this this is bullying yeah and often at times this is the result from bullying so i get that we
Starting point is 02:01:40 talking about the different levels to where it may not be fatal or it may not be life-threatening but what i'm saying is it's not even on us to say what type of bullying exactly is and isn't life-threatening we just taking it casually because we on this side of it but not during mental health month we're not going to do that because the purpose of mental health month is to say what the album critique does to the guy receiving it. And I know more than any, that could be bad for people. It could. That. Maybe you get into that perspective later on,
Starting point is 02:02:13 but there's just a lot of different types of bullying. Some niggas say, when the shit is going on the internet, hey, put the phone down. And niggas laugh. If you can't put the phone down now, I think that was Tyler the Creator. One of the greatest tweets ever.
Starting point is 02:02:25 Tweet. Yep. That says, what was it? There's no such thing as internet bullying. What the fuck is cyberbullying? It's not real. Just put your fucking phone down. That's what he said.
Starting point is 02:02:35 To sum up what he said. Now, I put the phone down this week and felt liberated. I put the phone down this week and realized that, oh shit, the screen time that's telling me all the time I'm spending on the apps, I'm getting a lot more done in some other areas without it. I'm doing a lot of the things
Starting point is 02:02:52 that maybe I should have did or should have even paid attention to long before I put the phone down. But also in that, I realized how tough it was to put the phone down. Look what it took to put the phone down. Bullying it took to put the phone down.
Starting point is 02:03:06 Bullying. Look at all the concentration that had to happen, the focus that had to happen, the losses that had to happen to actually put the phone down and get your focus where it needs to be. So that's what I'm saying about the bullying topic. I'd love to hear y'all go back and forth more, but just keep in mind it is Mental Health Month and some of these niggas is dying out here from bullying i'm i mean you've taken the topic around with it but yeah i'm sorry i'm sorry i'm sorry i'm sorry i'm sorry i'm sorry i'm sorry i got us i got us i'm sorry yeah back back to chris rock back to chris rock back to chris bring the beat in so yeah what chris rock said and i'm gonna quote him, it's weird when you're a comedian because when you're a comedian,
Starting point is 02:03:49 when the audience doesn't laugh, we get the message. You don't really have to cancel us because we get the message. They're not laughing, he explained. Our feelings hurt. When we do something and people aren't laughing, we get it. So kind of what he's saying is that was their whole, that's their gauge. If the audience isn't laughing,
Starting point is 02:04:09 okay, I'm bad at this. Now it's, no, I said something, audience might have laughed. They might be cracking up laughing. But somebody else didn't like what I said. I agree with what he's saying.
Starting point is 02:04:22 I just disagree with that point that he's making right there about the laughter being the gauge as a comedian though the laughter is the gauge he can be saying something that depends on your audience I
Starting point is 02:04:35 Joseph Anthony Budden Jr. am aware that he's a comedian and I get the point that he's trying to make that that's unique because laughter is the gauge. But what I'm saying has to do with adaptation. And as the world changes, as humans, we have to adapt.
Starting point is 02:04:54 When football changes, the coaches got to change with it. When hip hop changes, you got to change with it. And when comedy change, when the world changes, everything that exists in it has to change with it. Right. Follow me in music. During the whole pandemic, I beefed about artists not using this time in the world to use their voice as a really powerful instrument and message. Now, it may not just be about how can we make them dance? How can we make them jam the same in comedy right now? Or at least for the past year or two, it may not have been about how to make them jam the same in comedy right now, or at least for the past year or two, it may not have been about how to make them laugh. Some of the most powerful moments for me from comedians have came when it wasn't laughter. I keep mentioning it.
Starting point is 02:05:36 Chris rock at the Emmys. One of the most powerful deliveries that we've seen of a message this decade. Nobody was laughing. Chappelle, Chappelle, Chappelle. Dave Chappelle. Chappelle's last two or three, but especially his last two. Especially the one he did. Just talking. What was it, seven? Hey, cut the cameras
Starting point is 02:05:54 on in the yard. Donnell Rollins, hey, go get some shit and we here. We filming. Get the vaccination guy. Vaccinate everybody. Put an audience here. And I'm talking. So that's my only disagreement about that part of his message is in the last year or two, you need a different gauge.
Starting point is 02:06:14 It's not laughter. Because some of these people ain't coming out to laugh. We just coming out to hear you. But at the same time, Joe, this is going on longer than the last year or two. Wait, hold on. Hold on. You should disagree. Because the comedians that I'm talking about, it ain't but four. but at the same time this is going on yeah but you wait hold on hold on ish you would you should disagree because the comedians that i'm talking about it ain't but four yeah i was about to say
Starting point is 02:06:30 those it ain't but five of them the rest of you i get it if you go to a comedy show your purpose of going to a comedy show is to laugh right now if you just happen to get to a comedy show and it's fucking dave chappelle and he doesn't feel to a comedy show and it's fucking Dave Chappelle and he doesn't feel like making you laugh and he's telling stories that um resonate that's cool but the average comedian is not Dave Chappelle can I add something to what you just said if you go to a comedy show you're going to laugh yes that's true past that I think the greats make the truth funny indeed yeah yes they do stay there stay there so chris rock is a great we can agree to that oh yeah so whenever he does it and he feels uncomfortable now doing comedy because he can't take things that historically
Starting point is 02:07:18 for the history of comedy we've taken hardship and made people laugh we've taken people's differences and made them laugh we've taken people's differences and made them laugh we've laughed at ourselves you're a good dude on the podcast you're one of the greats because you take shit from your real life and you make people laugh at it right so again if you can't get on the stage now and take hardship pain uh differences and make people laugh from them because of the backlash that you're going to receive it makes your job not be cool anymore you don't even want to do it it makes your job harder yeah you don't want to do it because again any comedian we've taken whether it's our pain or somebody else's pain and made it funny see but i'm not mad at chris rock's job being harder
Starting point is 02:07:59 i'm not mad at dave chappelle's being harder. There's a short list of gentlemen who, hey, before the world got all fucked up. Pull it off. Yeah. Before the world did all that, after Chris Rock did his last few, I think that was HBO winning standup deal. I think it was Netflix.
Starting point is 02:08:16 Netflix. I think it was Netflix. Netflix, yep. Oh, well, I'm talking about back when it was HBO. Back then. I was scared. Yeah, when he was doing all that, and then that kind of passed by he chilled out for
Starting point is 02:08:27 a little bit he wasn't so i was looking for him and i couldn't find him let me just say that sure so his job getting harder to where his genius has his great mind has to think of a way around something that i felt like he had mastered i like like that. That's how you up your level of mastery, if that's even a word. Is that a word? It is a word. I thought that was a word. That's how you up the level.
Starting point is 02:08:50 Dave Chappelle, when he did fucking, what's the high movie? When they just smoke it? Half-baked. When he did Half-baked. That was amazing. Classic. But that gentleman,
Starting point is 02:09:01 you wouldn't have imagined him to be the comedian that he is today. True. Right? Knock it off. No, no, I'm agreeing with you. No, no, no. I'm saying.
Starting point is 02:09:10 I'm agreeing with you. This is a real story. Ali. You know Ali Sadiq? He a comedian. He's mad funny. He's from Texas. Okay.
Starting point is 02:09:18 So he's cool. Like, I'm cool with him. And this was a long time ago. He said Dave Chappelle's the king of comedy. And I laughed at him like, you're fucking crazy. And he called this a long, long time ago. Like, yo, who could get white people to give them some money to make a movie about weed? And it stuck.
Starting point is 02:09:37 And Dave Chappelle grew up to be the Dave Chappelle that we see today. I wasn't saying that you wouldn't have been able to call his greatness because even and even that's probably a rarity even that's probably a comedy but the comedians they but to picture that he would be the guy that can bring the stool to the middle of the stage and now i'm just talking i'm not telling a joke that's true i'm only talking no i wouldn't have got that but comey but again you talking about the four or five best motherfuckers in the in the business well well listen i think this statement is only applicable to a few professions yeah but uh comedian one of them journalism podcast podcast entertainment period entertainment period entertainment all right the entire scope of entertainment has changed if you take eddie mur Murphy's Raw He couldn't do it today
Starting point is 02:10:26 No way He couldn't do it He could not do it The thing is If you take a bunch of shit That Richard Pryor Or Belushi Or any of them
Starting point is 02:10:34 Spoke on That was some of the Greatest moments in comedy That being said That being said There's a lot of that shit That would still work today You saying this
Starting point is 02:10:41 But not a lot How about half Nah I think more than half. About half. I don't think. About half. I think you're looking at it romantically. No, I'm with you though.
Starting point is 02:10:53 Listen, some of the things that Howard Stern did. Would never fly. Couldn't fly. Not ever. Today. But I mean, that's everything. So shit that was allowed back then. But you're saying that's evolution. Yeah, that's that's everything so your shit that was allowed back then but you're saying that's evolution yeah that's what i'm saying it is evolution and off
Starting point is 02:11:12 mic you and i could converse have a 40 year old conversation about what we think of that part of evolution indeed yeah but but a lot of that censorship that is coming along is killing a bunch of shit i mean some of it is needed i guess it's killing see on the other side of that censorship that is coming along is killing a bunch of shit. I mean, some of it is needed, I guess. But it's killing. See, on the other side of that, though, it's killing a lot of, I don't want to use that phrase, but it's killing a lot of toxic shit. Like, shit. Oh, you took the next question I had.
Starting point is 02:11:36 What is it helping? Yeah. Yeah, like, it's not really. It's a fine line. It's helping some things. Yeah, it's helping a lot. I totally agree. Some of the jokes Eddie Murphy made in Delirious were hilarious jokes, but yo, them shit might not have been hilarious to the people that he was joking about.
Starting point is 02:11:53 And that's where my point goes. And to make that joke today, you really shouldn't be making it. You shouldn't have made it then. I guess. I guess. That is not how they taught you to close a debate. No, no, no. Not with I guess. You're not sorry. No they taught you to close a debate no no no not with I guess
Starting point is 02:12:07 you're not sorry no he has a point I'm acknowledging his point like I guess you got a point I can't say nothing to something that's logically sound
Starting point is 02:12:14 I just think it's a really fine line like it's a really fine line it is like he he said stuff on
Starting point is 02:12:21 Delirious we're sitting here that was funny shit like when he started talking about you don't have to go there no no I'm just saying
Starting point is 02:12:28 I don't have to quote him we know we have to say all the things that he was offensive there we've seen it no fam I know we can cut it if it's not
Starting point is 02:12:34 like he had a joke where he said the gay people in San Francisco the gay man was sitting on the car and he was the actual siren like pull over that's funny fam right
Starting point is 02:12:44 I don't think he's insulting gay people he's making a joke about it was funny definitely gay people yes definitely i'm gonna tell you why it's insulting i'm gonna tell you why it's insulting because all gay people don't behave like that okay so somebody will say you're generalizing everybody you're making us seem a way that we're not and i have a problem with that because that's not me but the world the world we live in today you you can't generalize people yeah yeah yeah you want to go back to the world where we can generalize black folks problem is they generalize us so we want to go back to a world where it's okay for us to do with everybody. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:13:28 Yeah, no, you can't do that. Yeah. So I get it. Find a new way to make them laugh. That's it. Yo, man. Again, it's a beautiful weekend out there, 90 degrees in New York. I know I keep saying it.
Starting point is 02:13:38 Yo, and let me talk about why I keep saying it too because now I'm getting the calls and the texts. You phony motherfuckers. I knew it would come. I'm going to say this and just keep it pushing real quick. All pandemic.
Starting point is 02:13:56 I heard y'all loud and clear. Yo, New York is ass. I'm leaving New York. I'm moving. I'm never living. The creators left. Yo yo now you can have new york anywhere as long as this wi-fi yo it just don't feel the same the spirit is gone watch what happened that's what they said all year that is what they said all year long and now that the
Starting point is 02:14:18 weather's hot and traffic is out the girls is out. New York is feeling like New York. And now, motherfuckers, there's been a lot of New York trips. People like that. A lot of New York trips. Hey, they're not just flying to Dubai anymore. What do you know? There's a lot of those, yo, I'm in town. What it is?
Starting point is 02:14:37 Bitch, I don't know what it is. I'm home. Like, I've been home. Don't call me looking for fun now. Go find out where it's at. But New Yorkork and i'm reminded of it the way i have been my entire life when new york is new york it's nothing like it's no place like it in the world real shit it's not none in new york and i stand by it new york from the spring through the fall best place in the world yeah yeah and it's starting to feel like that out there um now
Starting point is 02:15:01 where was i going with this before we saw no no no no no no no no we're talking like we talking about playoff basketball but man man it's so concerning to me man they're having a hard time selling playoff tickets in New York and you just wouldn't think you think New York is like the Mecca of basketball so you would never think they would have a hard time selling playoff basketball tickets in New York. Oh, they're not. No, but they are though. They're having a hard time in Brooklyn.
Starting point is 02:15:35 That's what you're saying? You're shooting. Brooklyn's having such a hard time selling tickets with KD, Kyrie, James Harden. They just put the Harden code out that gets you half-price tickets now. I'm about to cop some. Look at that. And I looked at the prices.
Starting point is 02:15:49 I was like, this is a playoff game? DeAndre Jordan, the little white boy I like a lot. Cheap for a playoff game. I was shocked. You got to score Steve Nash on the bench. Dan Toney, all-star coaching staff. 3,000 tickets is all they ask for. Well, you know why they're having a hard time, Joe?
Starting point is 02:16:07 Because you have to be fully vaccinated to go to the game. Most of New York is fully vaccinated now except for Corey. 3,000 to herd immunity. Herd immunity. Look at this shit. It's just sandwiched between our vaccinations. Look at the prices. I might have to go to a game, man.
Starting point is 02:16:24 Listen, man. Wait a minute. You're telling me I get to see James Harden, Kevin Durant, and Kyrie Irving for $90? Playoff game. A playoff game? Against the Boston Celtics? Against Boston. Wait, and I get Jason Tatum for free?
Starting point is 02:16:44 Oh, my God. What a, wow, man. No place like New York. No place like. How the Knicks took. How the Knicks took. Now, listen, man. Listen, I hope all 3,000 of you in the Barclays have a good time.
Starting point is 02:17:00 They have an amazing wine bar out here. There's a 40-40 in there. They got some great stuff in there. Across town. No. How's it looking over there? I mean, in what we just called the city. Don't even... It's not even New York.
Starting point is 02:17:16 That's the city? The Nets need to go around everywhere and keep saying, New York, we bad. New York, New York, New York. And it's just the city in Manhattan. I remember the whole tweet that said the city's under new management when Brooklyn won, like, in the inaugural season.
Starting point is 02:17:31 I remember that. Ask him today. That's what he said. I know. No, and ask your man, the Russian billionaire who came in. I said, yo. Ask him.
Starting point is 02:17:39 Gorbachev. Gorbachev. Gorbachev. It wasn't Gorbachev. It was Putin you fine nigga get out this nigga scared
Starting point is 02:17:48 everything we'll bleep it okay we'll bleep it out oh man guys he the sensitivity police
Starting point is 02:17:55 oh man no I feel bad I feel bad for that Russian the Russian owner because his plan played out without him
Starting point is 02:18:03 like they got a super team they have the best players in the world and they really could win it and that's all he tried to do he just tried to expedite it he put the big billboard up where he shouldn't have put it right across from the garden we didn't like it we remembered that took it personally yeah what else like mike was saying in his documentary you took that personal? Yeah, they did this. They did this. They finally got it together.
Starting point is 02:18:28 And listen, I'm joking around about the Nets, but I'm happy for them, too, as a New York team. I'm rooting for both New York teams, but it's just Knicks tape all day. All New York teams I root for. Sunday. Sunday. You know the vibe. Sunday.
Starting point is 02:18:40 We got Atlanta. We got Trey Young. We got the guys. But we got the guys. We got Quickly. We got D. Rose. We got Burks. We got Bullock. That's a good matchup. We got Atlanta. We got Trey Young. We got the guys. But we got the guys. We got Quickly. We got D. Rose. We got Burks.
Starting point is 02:18:48 We got Bullock. That's a good matchup. We got Jules. I love that matchup. And I love the potential second round matchup. Potentially. Potentially. Don't go to the second round. Potentially.
Starting point is 02:18:57 Philadelphia. Philadelphia 76ers with Joel Embiid, MVP candidate. I think the Knicks have enough big bodies to throw at him. One. And two, I love him chasing around Russell Westbrook for the entire first round. That's the Knicks have enough big bodies to throw at him, one. And two, I love him chasing around Russell Westbrook the entire first round. That's the part you love. I love the Sixers chasing around
Starting point is 02:19:12 Bradley Beal and Russell Westbrook and then facing us a little tired, a little exhausted. I really like that a lot. You got to get past Atlanta, man. That's true. Atlanta's tough. Atlanta's healthy. And we beat them three times already.
Starting point is 02:19:28 And that always scares me. That always scares me. So I'm looking out for that. Washington might not be a walk in the park for y'all neither. I'm not saying anything's a walk in the park. Trust me. I'm not saying that. Philly going to win.
Starting point is 02:19:38 But as long as Washington win a game and a half. Win one game and one half. He just want us to run around chasing these niggas. Joe been saying that since the play-in was announced. Oh, no. I want y'all to end up with one of these two teams here
Starting point is 02:19:50 and have to chase them. That's it. I want them to win one of the first three games. No, one of the first four games. And I want them to win
Starting point is 02:20:00 the second half of the game that they lose. Oh, so we real tired. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Oh, so we real tired. Yeah. Yeah. Oh, that's going to be nice. With the Gatorade icon next to it.
Starting point is 02:20:10 That's going to be nice. Alright, so that's my team and Ice's team out the way. Let's toss it over to Ishlam with the Lakers. The Lakers are actually favored. They're the first underdog ever to be favored against their opponent. Number two seed, I'm sorry.
Starting point is 02:20:26 Phoenix. What do you want to know? Can you talk about your team? Can you win? How you looking? How you like your outlook on this series? Phoenix is tough, man. Give us your...
Starting point is 02:20:37 They got a squad. Look at my face, Parks. You're not worried? I'm not saying that. He said, can we win? I think everybody in America knows we can win. We were a little out of sync. I think so many people missed so many games over the season
Starting point is 02:20:52 that when we played Golden State the other day, and then Steph was just. The Lakers are not a seven seed, even though they're a seven seed. They could use mad words to save the chef. I don't know. We were just thinking about the rhythm. No, the chef. That was a great game.
Starting point is 02:21:05 Just the chef. he got the cooking that's really him yeah he yo LeBron chefed him though in that last shot and that's the nigga whose wife once said she wants attention
Starting point is 02:21:15 from other men I can hit 45 footers in my sleep and this is what my wife wanna go what my eyes say my wife just wanna go say hi to the garbage man.
Starting point is 02:21:25 And want the niggas to target the house. That's nuts when you think about it. I'm shutting my mouth. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Because I'm misogynistic me. Oh, then there was that other story. Austin Rivers isn't on the Knicks anymore. But earlier in the season, he had a game winner for us.
Starting point is 02:21:41 And when he did the post-game interview or one of the interviews after the game, he said, yo, over the weekend, I went to the gym on my off day to put up 1,000 shots. And my girl had a problem with that. So she was arguing with me. So I'm glad I hit the game winner because it just lets me know that the work is always worthwhile. And I listened to it. I don't want no sauce. Now's not the time to say.
Starting point is 02:22:07 I don't want no sauce. I mean, I don't want no sauce. And you know what you'll do? You will lead that to me. Just let me hang myself. Well, Ish, should I leave it to you? Should I be the one in this instance to give some offering? Come on, Ish. Let me hear it. I'm cool. All right, so the Lakers in what?
Starting point is 02:22:33 Deep breaths now when Devin Booker come through. Deep breaths when Devin Booker walk in. Devin Booker's a problem. He's different and hopefully Bron's eye is okay for the series. No, I think we're going to beat him, to be honest. I think we're going to beat him down low. If LeBron see three rims in this series, y'all can do it. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:22:52 I love how the whole league called him out on that at the same time on their Twitter. Like, in concert. I just hate that he's... Yo, LeBron's the greatest actor in the world.
Starting point is 02:23:02 Yeah. Yo, LeBron, you got to cut that shit out. Yo, LeBron. Wait, and then afterward, because I was wondering what that exchange between him and Steph was about at the end of the game, but now that we know, it was him at the end of the game trying to get that lie off of Steph. Yo, I couldn't even see it.
Starting point is 02:23:18 I couldn't see nothing. Steph said, yo, make the fuck out of my face. I don't want to hear that shit, LeBron. Oh, I'm with him. I'm with him. I'm with him. Nah. Steph is the one. I'm going to say this
Starting point is 02:23:28 and I'm going to keep it moving. LeBron has been that guy in the league for 20 years. Correct. So when you're that guy, they try to make somebody be your nemesis. Of course.
Starting point is 02:23:38 They did it with Kawhi. They've done it. They just always do it with LeBron. You got to have that. KD, Paul George. He's seen them all. But Steph is really the one. That's his nemesis? It's not Kawhi? Not nemesis.
Starting point is 02:23:50 Because that's the wrong word. But that's the one that, like, what they keep saying other people are, it's Steph. He's just so small, it's a hard optic. Oh, please. I've seen nemesis he threw in the All-Star game. I talked about it here. He's never been happier to throw an assist.
Starting point is 02:24:06 Yeah, yo. Then he threw it to a dude that was 50 feet away, and it was a bucket. Yo, nobody is. And then that guy walked, and then Steph comes in and does it in the play-in game. Yo, dog. And it's real stupid the stats don't count in the playoff game. What you mean? None of the stats count.
Starting point is 02:24:24 They don't count for your season stats. Oh. No, they don't count in the stat book. Historically, they're not being counted. It's not true, man. What are you talking about? Google it. Are you high?
Starting point is 02:24:36 No. Of course they count. So you're saying like Kobe's third in scoring. You're saying like Kobe's third in scoring, but his playoff scoring doesn't go towards. I didn't say playoff. The play in stats don't count toward anything. That's all I'm saying.
Starting point is 02:24:51 It's like exhibition game. The two play in. The series they just had. The seed in. The play in seed in. I thought you were saying playoff. No, don't be stupid. I think you did say playoff.
Starting point is 02:25:02 You said playoff. Oh, well, I apologize. I didn't mean playoff. That's what I meant. No, the play in stats don't count. I'm like did say playoffs You said playoffs Oh well I apologize I didn't mean playoffs That's what I meant No the playing stats don't count I'm like yo are you crazy Yeah So Jason Tatum's 50 ball don't count
Starting point is 02:25:11 Russell Westbrook's Oh that's right Quadruple whatever he had don't count That should be That should be the playoff points Okay now Yeah that should go into playoffs I think so too
Starting point is 02:25:19 But it's not the playoffs So what Well then it should go to regular season It should go to regular season But it's not that either Regular season's over That's why I was getting ready to say Where do you count Then you should be keeping Your to regular season. But it's not that either. Regular season's over. That's why I was getting ready to say, where do you count that?
Starting point is 02:25:25 Then you should be keeping your own playing stats then. No, it's the first year. Technically, this is the playoffs. No, it's not. It's not the first year. No. It's the postseason. Of the players. No, this just started. The first year they did this. That's what I'm saying. So I'm pretty sure they're gonna tweak this and get this right at some point.
Starting point is 02:25:41 So then I'm gonna be even more mad if next year y'all are counting playing stats and my stats last year didn't count. They're gonna count them. Especially if I'm LeBron, right. So then I'm going to be even more mad if next year y'all are counting playing stats and my stats last year didn't count. They're going to count them. Especially if I'm LeBron though. See I thought about this when LeBron hit that shot. If I'm LeBron and I'm in my 19th season and I'm fighting for the scoring right. I'm fighting to be number one. I need all mine. Every game count.
Starting point is 02:25:58 I need all mine. You're right. And that's what I got there. Any other interesting playoff matchups to y'all that we need to discuss and get to? I only care about the Knicks. Let me tell you. Look, watch this. Steph and them
Starting point is 02:26:09 have a shot at beating the Jazz. If they... Steph and them are a hard cover. No one wants to see the Warriors. Bro, they are a hard cover, bro.
Starting point is 02:26:19 They gotta beat Memphis. I think mad people want to see the Warriors. And I think the Jazz is one of those things. I think the Jazz don't care nothing about the Warriors. Okay. They don't.
Starting point is 02:26:28 But four more games of Chef Curry is all I'm signing up for. Yo, I'm a Laker fan. I was rooting for them niggas the other day. I didn't want them to beat us, but I'm like, damn. You want to see them cook and lose. Yeah. No lie. Which is what you got.
Starting point is 02:26:42 Yeah. That was a great game. It was too close for the Lakers. No, no, no. I was watching. I knew we was going to pull it out. You knew LeBron was going to hit a shot on the Staples Center wording. I thought we were going to win.
Starting point is 02:26:52 But no, that was a hell of a game. It was. And you watching him and you just rooting for him. He a nice guy. It was a play in the fourth quarter. LeBron did some LeBron shit. And he just was on the sideline. Steph is on the sideline.
Starting point is 02:27:04 Bigging him up. That's what you do when you great. Like, yo, he's sitting over there like. You applaud the the sideline. Steph is on the sideline. Bigging him up. That's what you do when you great. Like, yo, he's sitting over there like... You applaud the other greats. Yeah, you know you're great. You acknowledge greatness.
Starting point is 02:27:10 You don't bullshit. You don't try to fight it. Nothing you can do about that. That's what it's saying. Basically, like, I can give credit where it's due. Yeah, like, here he comes. Let me get in.
Starting point is 02:27:18 Let me get in the game. Yeah, like, he's just sitting on the bench appreciating LeBron. Like, that's dope to see. All right, before the playoffs start, let me just get y'all predictions on what y'all see as each conference finals. Since the playoffs are officially about to start this weekend.
Starting point is 02:27:35 Like who do you have conference finals, Western and Eastern? All right, I'll give my fake prediction. Nets, Knicks. Okay. What does fake prediction mean? You don't really think that's going to happen? That's what you like to see. You're just ideally saying that's happening? I'm sticking with Nets, Knicks. Okay.
Starting point is 02:27:54 What you got, Parks? The Bucs would play the Nets in the second round, right? So that wouldn't be an option. No, the Bucs are going home. But they would. If they both hit the Nets, they would play in a second. The Bucs the Bucs are going home. But they would if they both hit pants. They would play in a second.
Starting point is 02:28:06 The Bucs and the Sixers are going home. I can see the Knicks going against... First round? Oh, you talk. I get what you're talking about. I can see it.
Starting point is 02:28:14 I can see Nets-Knicks. Nets-Knicks. I can see it. Nets-Knicks, okay. I'm going Nets-Knicks. And what about the West? Lakers-Jazz. Okay.
Starting point is 02:28:27 What you got, you got I also have the Jazz versus the winner of Lakers Phoenix whoever wins that series
Starting point is 02:28:36 goes to the Eastern Conference final to me I mean got you okay I think the Clippers
Starting point is 02:28:42 will pull on the top of the West bracket I think Rondo is will pull on the top of the West bracket I think Rondo is gonna be playoff Rondo and help them um that bottom of that bracket is tough uh all right the world is waiting for you the world is listening to you think the world is listening to you think. Yeah, yeah. The world is listening. Oh, my God. Could you let me talk, please? Thank you.
Starting point is 02:29:06 I'm trying. I think Lakers, I think Lakers, Clippers, and then the East, it's unfortunate that Miami's playing the Bucs because I think both of those teams would have made it. We don't care this much, man. Just tell us two teams. Pick two, man. Just like a swear.
Starting point is 02:29:25 It's not FS1. You don't know, man. All right. Don't worry about it. This is brand new music. I didn't even get mine, Joe. I didn't even get my prediction. Mine quick.
Starting point is 02:29:39 Sixers and Nets. Sixers and Nets. Me too. In the East. And I'm going the Suns and the Jazz in the West. Okay. So we're all kind of agreeable on the West Coast. I think Utah's the real deal.
Starting point is 02:29:54 Me too. They might even come out of the West. I was a year too early when I told Dane Lillard on his pod, watch out for Utah. I was a year too early. Because, boy, light's too bright. For Utah now? I'm playing my sleeper, man. You're not going to make me argue.
Starting point is 02:30:10 Sinead Harnett. No drums. I told you it's been a rough week. Actually, it hasn't been a rough week. Is that the name of the record? No drums?
