Is this not bottom of been friends this long. That's nuts.
Starting point is 00:01:45 Is this not bottom of the barrel of him? That's nuts. Come on, man. I'm broke. I'm joking out there if you're sleeping on a queen size. A king size bed does not cost much more than a queen size bed. But I'm not. Fam, you six foot three.
Starting point is 00:01:57 Now I'm six three. Now, if you're a single man. If you're a single man. 270. If you're a single man, a queen size bed is okay. Oh, I'm a single man. Oh, I'm a single man. Oh, I'm a single man. I don't know what the fuck.

Starting point is 00:04:17 But I still needed that king Not one you provided for As I was thinking Not one where You took on any of the man responsibilities. Like what? How you think your girl feel about you if at the end of the day, you take her to the queen? Honestly, I'm asking a serious question.
Starting point is 00:04:37 For real. Y'all had an argument. You was right in it. You doubled down because you knew you was right. And I told you about that. And your homegirl, come on, man, just get in the bed. Where? Move over, nigga.

And my nigga good for you and your family. Like, nigga, are we going to the strip club or nah? Like, why do you keep inserting your nephew into this? So he did that two years ago, right?
Starting point is 00:20:54 And maybe he did that for a whole year straight until he just finally shut up about it. But he was taking trips to the games. He was like the best uncle in the world, right? As he should be. Yeah. So now a few months ago We pod and we talk about topics

And now my friend, who is obsessed with his own nephew, is telling me that his bum-ass nephew, that I'd never heard of, might land with the Knicks. Starting point is 00:22:48 I got the New York Knicks saved in my search on Twitter. So when I'm bored, I just tap it to catch up with the spirit of the Knicks. Headline jumps out. One player, the Knicks better go out of there. Way to pick up this draft. I'm like, who could it be? Wait, what? Is it Dame Lillard?
Starting point is 00:23:16 Yo, is it McCullen? It's nephew. Yo, I clicked on the fucking picture. It's some nigga who I ain't never fucking heard of. Some little fucking kid. Somebody's nephew. Yo, I go back to the, yo, I'm so corny. This is how corny I am.
Starting point is 00:23:36 I go back to search mine and Ish's text history. It wasn't there. Then I went and hit the DM history. What do you know? Four weeks ago, know what it said to me? Yo, they talking about the Knicks. It was right there. I said, oh, shit.
Starting point is 00:23:53 It's the same guy. Oh, my God. I feel like such a piece of shit. So did you go watch the highlight reel? No, I didn't. That's my man cousin. So you don't need. No.
Starting point is 00:24:03 I got to take his word now. No, now he's for real now. Now he ain't just proud of his family. then that's my man cousin so you don't need you don't need I gotta take his word now no now for real now now he ain't just proud of his family so cause somebody else stamped it
Starting point is 00:24:12 that make it official no not somebody else because I never go off one thing I kept scrolling and I seen about 17 other stories that said
Starting point is 00:24:21 top 5 prospects the Knicks should get and he was at the top of them all. He must be all right. I want him now, too, nigga. Call your... If you don't call your fucking nephew, man, you better pull a string or something.
Starting point is 00:24:34 So I apologize. Pull a string. Because you got to think better of your friends when they're telling you the truth. Yeah, but niggas lie. Why did I think... Niggas lie. And that's a famous lie. That's a famous lie. Niggas will exaggerate a situation like that. Yeah, niggas put And that's a famous lie That's a famous lie
Starting point is 00:24:45 Niggas will exaggerate Yeah niggas put a little Sauce on it all the time But I've heard that one 90 Yo My cousin goes to St. Anne He's ranked fucking
Starting point is 00:24:53 111 He's probably go to the Pistons We've heard Right Never hear any Hey I know dog I want to ask for the Pistons ticket soon
Starting point is 00:25:01 But Yeah man go Good So you are going to ask For the Knicks tickets? I'm a Knicks fan. I'm just happy that my man family is aight
Starting point is 00:25:10 because that's tough when your family is trash, for real. You was getting clowned. You was going to get clowned. You got to support him. All right, so it's except my apologies.
Starting point is 00:25:19 Listen to the bullshit that black people do, yo. We can't just stick with each other? No. Yo, nigga said it's people's side. Yeah. Who the fuck wants to hear that?
Starting point is 00:25:30 Nigga said he do construction. My nephew. Let me call Mr. Figarelli and get some cabinets. I knew he had nephews. That shit is crazy. Come on, let's get right into it with the big stuff. The big stuff. Let's start with the verses.
Starting point is 00:25:43 Let's do it. Start with the verses. I had a real entertaining Saturday night. I love this verse. Yo, my- Did you? I thought that shit was a mess. What?
Starting point is 00:25:51 This shit was amazing, bro. It was funny. It was everything I wanted it to be. Wait, you didn't have the best time of your life? You are lying. I thought it was a mess. You are lying. This was not a mess.
Starting point is 00:26:02 This shit was great. Wait, wait, let's hear it from Parks. What are you talking about? Yo, Soulja Boy played the same song three times. Played different songs. Bow Wow played remixes that we didn't even know existed. Who's we? Well, I, I guess.
Starting point is 00:26:17 Me either. No, no. You know I know. It was a couple of them remixes that I didn't know Bow Wow was on. What, like the Pop Locking Drop It remix? That one was cheating. You knew that? Yes.
Starting point is 00:26:30 I knew the verse. Fam, what verse is Bow Wow's on that record? First, second, third. Say it. Say the verse. I'm not rapping the verse. It's fine. We don't have to.
Starting point is 00:26:40 Let's keep it going. I'm not rapping Bow Wow. All right, so you didn't like those things. I mean, it was kind of entertaining, but it was a mess. It was entertainment. You wasn't really just in your music bag. They are both two entertaining people.
Starting point is 00:26:56 See, I think that that's an understatement. That they're entertaining? Yeah. I don't think that serves these two the proper amount of credit for that particular slider. These two have been two of the most entertaining away from music for a decade. Tough to do. I think Big Draco up there by himself is the most, just him. Yeah, but Bow Wow is that dude too. So this is classic.
Starting point is 00:27:29 This is classic. They both are them dudes. If we don't fuck with the music at all, their personalities and Bow Wow maybe you have to know that about him maybe, but I don't even see that. If you just keep up with him online, he's giving us some of the greatest internet moments ever along with Soulja Boy, man.
Starting point is 00:27:47 So, music aside. Okay. Because if you get to the music, all right, come on, let's talk about music. If we get to music, I think Bow Wow won. Of course. Definitely. Yeah, he did win. And he shouldn't have, but.
Starting point is 00:27:58 If we're getting the music. He should not have? No. Why? If we're getting the music, I think Bow Wow won. I think Soulja Boy went into it wrong. I all. Wade, you know, you jump, give him takes, you speed. Well, no, you music I think Bow Wow won I think Soulja Boy went into it wrong I all Wade you know
Starting point is 00:28:06 you jump give them takes you speed well no you said you think Bow Wow won I'm saying I think Bow Wow won
Starting point is 00:28:11 for that reason though because Soulja Boy went into it the wrong way you started off with your current I'm not mad at that part actually I am I'm not mad at starting off
Starting point is 00:28:22 with the new one get that out the way nah but then he did three more times nah to y' think y'all talking about music and i think that when it comes to verses it's about so much more than just the music it's about you said that to me it's about the performances it's about your personality it's about what you're wearing it's about your wit how you respond it's about a lot of shit. So while I give Bow Wow the win, musically,
Starting point is 00:28:46 I think Soulja Boy won every other area, maybe except for the performances. His personality is way more... Soulja Boy's too funny, man. He's silly, yo. He's too funny. Even what you saying, Parks. He mad funny.
Starting point is 00:29:00 I initially was angry at him playing the same song three times. At first, my conditioned brain said, yo, what you doing, dog? But then when Bow Wow said some shit, he was like, yeah, nigga, I'm going to play it again. Yeah, he said, you're going to hear it again, too. Yeah, it's current, nigga. Yeah, it's now. Here go another one.
Starting point is 00:29:20 Here go a different version. Here go French on this shit. And he out here rap the verse. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Here go nigga on this shit. Y'all was like,. Yeah, yeah, yeah. He go nigga on this shit. Y'all was like, yo, I like it. Yeah, that's what I'm saying. Yo, I like it now.
Starting point is 00:29:30 I like somebody playing. Yo, I wish you'd have played it two more times, just because it's funny. This is hilarious. It's funny. Bow Wow playing number one joints. He pulling out the Like Mike soundtrack. He doing, hey, Bow.
Starting point is 00:29:44 Soulja Boy said, hey, play the last joint again. Nah, the funny shit though, the funny shit was when Soulja Boy played Dunk, and then he was like, you know what? Nah, nigga, you played two records, and I'm going to play the remix with Nicky. Play that too, and just double back. Yo. I don't care what you
Starting point is 00:29:59 want to do. I'm a dude. I'm doing it my way. Not only do I love it because it's ignorant, but now you open the door innovator yet again for niggas like me. Yeah. Oh, I play Pump It Up 10 times. If we could
Starting point is 00:30:15 do that now, I'd go get a verse from everybody on Pump It Up. I know somebody did a freestyle. I'm just saying, I like that. I like Soulja Boy's commentary I like that what I really like this was awesome man
Starting point is 00:30:29 there was a playoff game on and I wasn't looking at it yeah me neither what I really really really liked though was the fact that one of my biggest complaints about the previous verses was they were
Starting point is 00:30:39 everything was preset already you can tell you see them walking back talking to DJs and shit. There was some little adjustments made on the fly. Sure. I like that. Me too. I want to hear, oh, shit, he played this?
Starting point is 00:30:53 Let me go with that record instead of this one. What I had in order. Yeah. Bow Wow. I like that. Bow Wow shit seemed like he just had his set list. Bow Wow brought out the brat. Yeah, that was fun.
Starting point is 00:31:04 JD, them franchise boys franchise hey they brought out three six mafia that was fun and somebody in the instagram comment said hey why why three six performing and juicy jay in the comments with us I didn't say that. Y'all know I love Juicy J, but that was funny, man. It's hilarious. Yo, they brought out, so Soulja Boy brought out Romeo, and they did this whole beautiful. I thought that was kind of great.
Starting point is 00:31:38 They did this really beautiful moment. That was the highlight. That was the highlight of my laughter. As the three young, dominant teeny boppers where we're, hey, we've been through some things. Our dads are famous. But you know what? We got through the drama. We're here.
Starting point is 00:31:51 We're successful. Time out. Our dads are not famous. We were not the three young kings that was running shit. Both those statements are wrong. All right, well, my dad... Let's fix that. My dad, because Bad Wild's rap dad is Jermaine Dupri.
Starting point is 00:32:10 That's his rap dad. And Snoop. Snoop's his uncle. His rap uncle. Hey, you got... Hey, that count. Those are dads. Again, and that's arguable
Starting point is 00:32:17 that them young three jokers in their age bracket, they were the top of the brass in their age bracket. I thought it was great that they came out and had this beautiful show of unity and togetherness. Don't do that. And public showing of putting all past drama behind them. Yes. Now, with that said, is Romeo Kobe Bryant like he said he was?
Starting point is 00:32:42 He said that Bow Wow was Michael Jordan. He ain't got shot, Romeo, man. No, no, I'm telling you what he said. He did say that. said that Bow Wow was Michael Jordan no I'm telling you what he said he said Bow Wow is Michael Jordan he inspired everybody he started this shit he said me I'm Kobe Bryant I maybe wasn't the most talented but I had the work ethic and it got me there and told you boy he's LeBron he watched all the shit we did and he came and freaked it his own way didn't change the game did something totally different and freaked it his own way changed the game did something totally different and I was like yo man that's awesome
Starting point is 00:33:08 but about that Kobe thing yeah they cracked lying is great no they cracked his muffin online um you know what I did
Starting point is 00:33:17 I'll tell you real fast I immediately cut holes pump it up verse on and try to pick which like
Starting point is 00:33:24 you know how he went down the list of rappers? You can't do that, yo. Bro, you're not calling Romeo's none of that. You can't do that. I'm,
Starting point is 00:33:31 yo, I'm the biggest No Limit fan you'll ever meet, first off. So I'm telling you Romeo was not that, ever. But when No Limit
Starting point is 00:33:37 was doing a thing, Romeo was a child. We will not argue about Lil Romeo on this podcast right now. I promise you, we will not. I promise you. I love his positivity, man. Yeah, yeah. I promise you we will not. We not. I promise you.
Starting point is 00:33:45 I love his positivity, man. Yeah, yeah. I'm with that. That Kobe Bryant comment was way the fuck out there. You know what else I love? Like, I love that dude's kids
Starting point is 00:33:56 is just like the dad. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Like, he's gonna come and hold us all hostage with his successful positive talk like his dad would. Uh-huh.
Starting point is 00:34:04 That's awesome. Oh, he's definitely Master P. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Too. He came out promoting some shit. Yeah, you know we own this. Oh, yeah. He had the chips.
Starting point is 00:34:12 Let me get them rap stats. Here's the rap stats. Oh, man. Romeo going to get to it. I enjoyed Bow Wow telling Ack to DJ up there and Ack not DJing. He tried. Was that trying? He did try.
Starting point is 00:34:26 I thought that was dope that act wouldn't DJ next to the DJ equipment. No, he got up there. I thought that was fly. Hey, fuck y'all. This equipment is right here and I'm still DJ academic.
Starting point is 00:34:39 I ain't doing it. That's hard. I ain't mad at that. What else? What else did I love? I loved so much about this night i had such a great saturday right like my saturday in the house is becoming like the sunday in the house like i've officially started sit the fuck down night that's because i've been going out too much turning it up too much it's been getting too crazy and you need to re-energize and sit the fuck down
Starting point is 00:35:05 because you can't have people seeing you outside for too many nights in a row. That's corny. Saturday was sit the fuck down night and I watched this battle, ignored the playoff game, which thank God
Starting point is 00:35:18 because that was a mess. And right after this, I watched the fight, Gervonta fight. I missed that. Which went off, it had to be close to 1 a.m. the fight. Girante fight. I missed that. Which went off. It had to be close to 1 a.m. It's bedtime.
Starting point is 00:35:29 Amazing Saturday. Round of applause for my Saturday night. In the house. I love it in the house Saturday night. Oh, in the house is the shit. In the backyard Saturday for me. I was barely watching it. Oh, and Bow Wow brought a Mariana on.
Starting point is 00:35:42 Come on. And give me, let me hold you. You see when he hit that? You see when he hit that? They didn't synchronize. Let me hold you. That was also a hot dance. I saw it.
Starting point is 00:35:52 I saw it. I enjoy when I could tell that the fire marshals are trying to kick everybody out and y'all been bugging. I like that. Fuck them. You know what else was good? It was great to see a hundred niggas on stage again. Like, even on the sides of the stage. I love that,
Starting point is 00:36:07 because we've been locked down so far and couldn't do fucking shows and shit. This was amazing. I loved seeing Bow Wow's face when Romeo brought people out with him to perform. Bow Wow didn't like that. He brought the entire... He was like, yo, you got the whole family. Bow Wow looked at these niggas like, yo, dog.
Starting point is 00:36:26 Yeah? The fire marshal's outside, man. We move as a unit. Let's get this one out of the way. Hurry up. Hurry up and get your verse up. Nah, this was one of my favorite joints. I ain't going to hold you.
Starting point is 00:36:38 And to the people that said verses can't thrive when outside is open. To the people that said nobody wants to hear or see a verses battle when outside is open. To the people that said, nobody wants to hear or see a versus battle when outside is open. Outside is open. And this did numbers. Oh, good for them. I watched it after the fight. I wasn't watching it. I saw it hit 650 on Instagram. Something like that.
Starting point is 00:36:58 That's not counting the Triller numbers. That's an event. Which says to me, if you get two personalities that people want to see at all times, you will draw a crowd. They're going to watch. And if you can replay it later like I did, it's going to do numbers.
Starting point is 00:37:13 Yeah. Oh, I didn't even peep. Romeo had the little Romeo jersey on. Oh, what you thought, man? Come on, man. And he brought the rap snacks out there. He started promoting his own shit. I'm playing with him. I don't know how Bow Wow felt about it. I don't know. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:37:27 They all promoted. What you mean? I like that. Bow Wow promoted. Fast 9 had just came out. He's in that. It did. He's talking about that.
Starting point is 00:37:35 They just, the tickets for the tour. Yo, that's hilarious. You telling me that somebody promoted Fast 9. Ish didn't even know. Think about it. I watched Fast 9 already it don't matter
Starting point is 00:37:45 if Ish know or not Fast 9 Fast and Furious has broken every record you watched his movies to watch Fast? I did one right?
Starting point is 00:37:54 that's like saying that's like that's like saying you was there for Jurassic Park why you so old? I just watched Fast 9 in the movie Saturday
Starting point is 00:38:03 the bitches call you seasoned? no vintage? no aged? daddy So old. I just watched Fast 9 in the movie Saturday. The bitches call you seasoned? No. Vintage? No. Aged? Daddy.
Starting point is 00:38:19 Why are you telling me that they call you that? Don't ask me a question. I'm giving you the answer. Come on. On to more versus smoke before we leave this Nori is putting up a clip oh no before we get to that now let's stay there Nori's putting up a clip
Starting point is 00:38:32 shooting at beans when that happens I don't know if the battle's already booked or if they trying to get it booked and they trying to get the public hype around it I don't know but this would already be one of my favorite battles to have. Nori versus Beans. I don't know how the young kids may feel about it, but this is one.
Starting point is 00:38:52 This is one of those. That's for me. That's a battle for me. And I don't know who wins. I don't know. I'm not picking a winner. The fans. I'm not really picking a winner.
Starting point is 00:39:01 The fans win. But, but, but, I don't know how this is going to look when they perform the records. And I just say that because Beans isn't in the best. Neither one of them. So I don't know how that's going to look. It don't matter to me. I don't care. The music's playing.
Starting point is 00:39:17 The song's going to play. Beans should be celebrated. Yeah, absolutely. So I don't care what his current health is. Of course I care, but I'm saying if he's unable to perform the way that they do, I don't care. Get up there and press play. When we did Roots Picnic, he came out during the Roots set,
Starting point is 00:39:35 and it was still dope. It don't matter if his voice is a little bit different sounding now. I don't care. I still want to see him perform. I want to see somebody have to stand across that. Nori got some. Nori got a lot of big records. That kissed this. Which one? I just want to see somebody have to stand in front of that.
Starting point is 00:39:53 That's my favorite part of Versus, by the way. Some of the records that you have to stand in front of. I was thinking about on the way here. When Ross played... Pardon me for a minute. When Ross played... What's his Kanye record? Devil in a Blue Dress.
Starting point is 00:40:06 Devil in a Blue Dress. And he started getting a massage. Took his shirt off. What a moment. Like, you had to stand across from that and deal with that, 2 Chainz. You had to look at that. Like, I like seeing that moment. And Nori got a few of those.
Starting point is 00:40:18 Who the fuck is going to stand there with Bant from TV? Bean's got some of them, too, though. He don't have a Bant from TV. Bloody Money. Oh, Reservoir Dogs. Yes, he do. Reservoir Dogs. Reservoir Dogs versus Bant from TV. Bant from TV. Bean's got some of them too though. He don't have a Bant from TV. Bloody Money? Oh, Reservoir Dogs. Yes, he do. Reservoir Dogs versus Bant from TV.
Starting point is 00:40:29 Bant from TV wins. No. Not to me. Bant from TV wins to me. Not to me. Bant wins to me. I don't think there is really...
Starting point is 00:40:36 It might be like three records. That's the record that he should play. He got to play that. No, I think he's on some more that he could play against
Starting point is 00:40:43 Bant from TV. No, no, no. Oh, the Beans? No, no. Yeah. He can only play Reservoir Dogs. 1-800-HUSTLE? that no i think he's on some more that he could play against bans no no no that beans no no yeah he can only play reservoir dogs uh no but ban from tv is one of the greatest party cuts of all times so i mean and we i'm i'm biased so i mean that's that's where i stand on that particular record but uh i want to see this i don't know if it's set up already nori is posting facetimes with hove i can tell what that whole face is saying like are you sure no no beanie said yo you sure beanie said yo that whole face nori's been talking shit to young guru he's calling young guru little doro
Starting point is 00:41:15 shout out to doro and guru but nori is bugging out there nori must really want this smoke i mean he can ask for that smoke though. You get what I'm saying? Maybe Nori's the right... Nori might be the right match for Cam too. Rewind for one second. Bam from TV versus what we do. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:41:38 I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I am not picking one. I am. That's a't know I know I don't know to who I am not picking one I am that's a tie
Starting point is 00:41:48 I'm sorry that's a tie call it what you want I think the fans won with that right the fans really came up with that one
Starting point is 00:41:55 one of those I could and and and if I have to pick I'm picking what we do and the fans would what would you do
Starting point is 00:42:03 the fans you know why even for the 20 year olds when you throw what we do on that the fans would. What would you do? No, I... Even for the 20-year-olds, when you throw What We Do on... That shit goes. It goes. When you throw
Starting point is 00:42:10 It don't go for the 22-year-olds. No, What We Do... What We Do goes for the 22-year-olds. That's something different. I don't care about them. What We Do hits
Starting point is 00:42:19 a larger demo than Bant from TV. Exactly. Bant from TV, you had to be there for or you have to have respect for. Well, I was there and outside
Starting point is 00:42:26 so I can't pick for them two records, bro. I was there for both. That was one of your favorite records to get beat up to back in the day? Soundtrack to the ass whooping. That's what was happening outside? That was the soundtrack
Starting point is 00:42:34 to the ass whooping. Yo, what we do is different, bro. I agree with that. So who do y'all pick? Because we're not staying on this. I'm picking Beanie. I'm picking Nori, I think. I think Nori's got too many joints that people forgot about.
Starting point is 00:42:48 Yep, I'm going Nori. I'm picking the fans. Look, I'm being biased. But it's going to be a fucking damn near a tie. I think Nori wins. All right, come on. I want Beans to win. We don't have to spend too much time on it.
Starting point is 00:42:59 I got some more shit to throw y'all away. Lil' Kim did the red carpet at the BET Awards. DJ Envy asked her directly, hey, we'd love to see you in a versus. She said, I'm down to do it. Envy was trying to tiptoe around it, being polite and sweet.
Starting point is 00:43:12 He said, well, who would you do it with? Kim is Kim. Some of y'all don't know, but Kim is Kim. No, they don't know. They really don't. Yeah, the kids don't really know.
Starting point is 00:43:20 They pissed me off. The kids don't know that Kim is Kim. They don't know. Niggas told me Kim don't have a 20 she got 20 oh no before we even what i'm saying by kim is kim is kim is gonna tell you yeah she is straight up with it so kim is not one to bite her tongue she's going to tell you how she feels
Starting point is 00:43:38 even if it's in dismay of you and she didn't do that here but she very uh bluntly said nikki nikki is the person that i would do this with now before we even address that stop stop stop let me coast us through this before we even address that why do we dismiss foxy so quickly i was just gonna say that i'm gonna dismiss foxy so quickly because she didn't have the impact that they had. Okay. Right? I accept. So sometimes when we say, like, yo, this person will be good for this person, they might be good in musical talent, but the impact was different. Parks, you say it.
Starting point is 00:44:16 Why? Because Lil' Kim was the top then, and Nicki was the top of her era. So it's a heavyweight match. You're saying that's a better matchup than her Foxy? To me. Okay. To me. I'm saying, I would say Foxy would be a better one.
Starting point is 00:44:30 And I love Foxy. Be clear. Foxy for Kim? Mm-hmm. Foxy also doesn't, I don't think, she probably has 20, but I don't think she has as many records overall. And that's why I will say that Foxy's not the greatest matchup for Kim, but if it happened, I would watch it. Of course. Of course. Kim, no.
Starting point is 00:44:48 Shout out to Foxy. 100%. I don't mean no disrespect. Never that. I'm a huge Foxy fan. My point on Kim Foxy... Somebody would have to deal with Foxy. My point on Kim Foxy is the same thing I said about Gucci GZ. Music-wise, they didn't match up.
Starting point is 00:45:03 But history-wise, it made sense. I think Foxy would actually match up with Kim. Oh, you're saying Kim and Nikki. No, I'm saying Kim and Foxy. You want that. But y'all are saying Foxy don't have necessarily the records.
Starting point is 00:45:19 I just don't think she has as long of a career. Nah, I agree with you. Now, with their history though patching up shit and all that it's better to put the two of them on the stage that's all i was now foxy can dig from the firm no doubt never and she's got a lot of features she's she's got 20 no ice is saying their history he thinks make them a more compatible matchup i.e the music not me though not me i disagree like gz gucci have a different type of history yo foxy and he thinks make them a more compatible matchup, i.e. Not me, though. Not me. I disagree.
Starting point is 00:45:48 Like, Jeezy Gucci have a different type of history. Yo, Foxy and Kim have that. Yo, this is not the main arguing point of this topic. I'm just throwing it out there. We don't need to dance in circles about Foxy versus Kim. The topic is Nicki. Nicki and Kim. But it's interesting that those were your points about the top versus the top because a lot of the barbs that I've spoken to are saying,
Starting point is 00:46:06 Kim versus Nicki don't make sense because Nicki is top of the top. And I don't think there's an argument with that one. She is top of the top. Sure. As far as record sales, no doubt. What do you mean? You got to explain that to me. Nicki Minaj has crushed all sales records.
Starting point is 00:46:24 All records having to do with women and hip-hop she has owned them broken them lapped them recreated them i agree that's what i mean yeah so and that's like those that's by fact that's that we like we can't no no no that's so that's what i mean now this is where my argument to the barbs was coming in. If there's no Kim, there's no Nikki. If I birthed you, and I'm not talking about Kim birthing Nikki, but if I paved the way, then I don't care if you eclipse me. I don't care if you end up being greater than me because it's not a flex. That's what I paved the way for, for the next person to do it. But if I got 20 to come to the table with and I paved the way for chicks,
Starting point is 00:47:10 I'm going to be respected in any arena. I'm not going to be laughed out of a battle. It's not like Lil' Kim was paved the way in the sense of maybe MC Lyte where it was a really long time ago and hip-hop wasn't selling a trillion records like it is now. It wasn't a billion-dollar business. Kim was recently, fairly recently selling a lot of records.
Starting point is 00:47:27 With all due respect to MC Lyte and Queen Latifah and Bahamadia and Lady of Rage. Moni Love. 357. Yo-Yo. With all due
Starting point is 00:47:44 respect, boss. With all due respect, boss. With all due respect, Lil' Kim put that pussy widespread on the album, marketed it with mad classics on one album, standing next to who was the greatest rapper of all time at the time. In a point where hip hop had transcended all walks of life.
Starting point is 00:48:08 That's all I'm saying. So Nicki's emulated, Nicki has emulated that. She has done the album cover. She stood next to the greatest rapper of all time. She's put mad classics on the album.
Starting point is 00:48:18 She's featured to death. She's done it. She did the Kim times whatever. And the bigger, well, because everything is bigger now. Yeah. Like I said it before. I don't think we'll ever see this battle.
Starting point is 00:48:29 Kim built the foundation and Nikki took it and built upon it. And I do think that Nikki wins the battle if it were to happen. Same. But y'all will respect her. I want to, you fucking right, you better respect Kimberly Jones. It's going to be a close battle though. You better respect Kimberly. That's the part that got me.
Starting point is 00:48:43 People really started telling me. It's close. Nikki, I mean, Kim does not have 20 records. You have respect him. That's the part that got me. People really started telling me. It's close. Nikki, I mean, Kim does not have 20 records. You have to stop talking to those people. Yeah, like the 27-year-olds, though. I don't care who you are. When money, power, respect comes on, you're going to have to do something. My argument with the person.
Starting point is 00:48:58 No, the lighters up come on, you're going to have to do something. No, when somebody's saying she don't have 20. Somebody's saying she don't have 20 hours. We don't have to talk to that 20 out we don't have to talk to that person we don't have to talk to that person we not even doing that
Starting point is 00:49:08 but it was a lot that was the part that got me it was like a narrative that was running but they're children that weren't around and they weren't outside
Starting point is 00:49:15 and they don't know the impact you know the problem you know the thing why Kim would be a tough out she's on the classicist
Starting point is 00:49:23 of the classics with the classicist like i'm looking at this yo no more games some people would argue skin deep to be a one-hit wonder group i won't say that because i love them no more games is a classic r&b record from the 90s benjamin's we don't have to talk about it i can love you is a classic R&B record. Money, Power, Respect. Quiet Storm is classic. Crush On You is classic. Get Money is classic.
Starting point is 00:49:51 Ladies Night. All that shit. Ladies Night. Wait a Minute with Ray J. Classic. Come on. Yeah, she's just on a lot of classics. And that's the thing.
Starting point is 00:49:58 But Nicki's catalog is long. It is. It is. Long. I would love, love, love, love, love to see this. But with a long catalog, you got to get down to your 20.
Starting point is 00:50:07 You got to pick the right joints. You got to pick the right 20. You have to pick the right records. I'm just having this conversation for... When you have too much to pull from. Exactly. You start playing remixes
Starting point is 00:50:14 that we don't care about. Or you start, like Nikki has a lot of pop records. Not saying she would, but... She wouldn't. I'm just saying. She might.
Starting point is 00:50:21 She's going to get right in her Queens bag. She'll probably give you the Starships Is that what it was called Not against Kimberly Jones Listen She got the same DJ
Starting point is 00:50:29 I agree She got the same DJ Yo they both tough No they both street They both tough They both edgy I wanna keep that in here Yeah now they both
Starting point is 00:50:38 Fuck these records And the glitz And the glam And the makeup And the honorage And Wayne And Big Them two in their own right
Starting point is 00:50:46 facing each other. It ain't Starship time. Yeah, it's not. It ain't not. That ain't happening. I agree, but I wouldn't be surprised. I wouldn't be surprised. Versus they play the hit
Starting point is 00:50:55 of Baby Shop. And that's probably her biggest single. I keep hearing that, but I don't agree with that. They play shit to drive a point home too. Sometimes.
Starting point is 00:51:03 What'd you say? He said What? I ain't hear what Drew's response No I keep hearing Versus is all about the hits I don't necessarily
Starting point is 00:51:09 Subscribe to that Not for them too This is personal I don't subscribe to that No this is personal Hits are helpful You better have some But it ain't all about the hits though
Starting point is 00:51:17 But hits might not get you to win Fam I watched Jadakiss Street record fab to death If Soulja Boy had A three more What? That's not what you did You watched Jadakiss street record fab to death if if Soulja Boy had a three more what that's not what you did you
Starting point is 00:51:28 you watched Jadakiss out personality fab to death fam I'm talking just the records fab played well you know we know who's fault but the wrong records were played
Starting point is 00:51:39 it's possible yeah and Jadakiss said and then when he tried to come up with one Jadakiss said I knew you was gonna do that guess what street record street record street record and they hit harder bro It's positive. Yeah. And Jadon Kidd said, and then when he tried to come up with one, Jadon said, I knew you was going to do that. Guess what? Street record.
Starting point is 00:51:46 Street record. Street record. And they hit harder, bro. I guess that's the demographic. But again, these two, Kim and Nikki, they could play hits where they getting busy. Nikki could play monster. Yeah. Where she's getting busy.
Starting point is 00:52:02 And it's a hit. I only want to see kim versus nikki if they're able to celebrate each other yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah because that's when i enjoy it from the women i think it would be a makeup session for them to publicly make up on tv like it would be dope i want i would say that too but i don't know that there's an issue i can't confirm it it's only been rumors and rumblings but in the event that they were both cool with the idea yeah boy it would be a celebratory one that would be one of the biggest that's that's no it would be the biggest one probably right now when when when women in hip
Starting point is 00:52:37 hop are so dominant yeah it would be for those two to do it yeah yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And get it back. Yeah, that's it. But I don't want to see it if they're not celebratory of each other. And I think maybe Kim would be. I can't speak to Nikki in her headspace.
Starting point is 00:52:55 I think they would be. Yeah, hopefully. I think if they had a conversation prior to. Well, you would have to do that. I think if Versus never leaves Trilla and stays with Apple,
Starting point is 00:53:03 maybe there's a better chance of Nikki doing it. Because there's still politics involved. Oh, yeah. Okay. Still politics. I know she Versus never leaves Trilla and stays with Apple, maybe there's a better chance of Nicki doing it. Because there's still politics involved. Still politics. I know the fans don't care, but we got to. I'm not done with Versusing y'all to death. Somebody tossed this one
Starting point is 00:53:18 out there in celebration of DJ Drama and all that he's accomplished coming off this amazing Tyler the Creator album, round of applause for just Tyler being amazing still. Right? They were giving Drama his props, his flowers, well-deserved for his work with Uzi,
Starting point is 00:53:36 this project, Jeezy, all of the mixtapes, right? Don't say clue. And they were saying, well, no, but since you said that, while they were speaking of drama i had this thought queens don't kill me and clue don't kill me because i don't believe this but i had this thought the kids it was the kids that was bigging up drama and they understand him different from uzi and some of his more recent work right jack harlow yeah yeah yeah jack harlow and and i was reading the kids talking about drama and and I said, yo, I think the kids look at drama like I look at Clue.
Starting point is 00:54:09 Yeah. Yeah. That's what I said. Yeah. Yeah. I never knew that. Yeah. He was the biggest mixtape DJ of his era.
Starting point is 00:54:17 So, yeah. He is. Fam, and people don't- I got him at number one. That just speaks to the whole- All time. That speaks to all the verses that we've named thus far. We are literally coming from a different era.
Starting point is 00:54:29 Dog, fam, when a clue tape dropped, niggas knew. You go. With no social media. Fam, you ain't got a haircut, an outfit, a car wash. That shit was in the clue tape. And you played that clue tape for two or three weeks, nigga. That's a fact. Straight.
Starting point is 00:54:42 That's a fact. So, again, Nicki and Kim. Nigga kim that is the dj mount rushmore yes yes uh clue cali drama flex no no you got you can't just disrespect ron g no no no i'm not talking about see that's why oh radio dj i'm not talking about all djs i would never do that i thought we were talking about mixtape djs yeah that's what i thought and i'm not talking about all DJs. I would never do that. No, I thought we were talking about mixtape DJs. Yeah, that's what I thought. And I'm not going to do that. How about I say, because where's Scrooge? To Doo-Wop or Rangy.
Starting point is 00:55:09 Where's Scrooge? That's, he almost has to. On the Mount Rushmore, you would have to include other spaces. Yeah, you would have to. Absolutely. You would have to include other people from other areas. Y'all understood Chop and Screw when you first heard it? Yes.
Starting point is 00:55:24 Yeah, because my man You enjoyed it? I loved it. From the rip? I did. From the rip. I didn't. Not from the rip.
Starting point is 00:55:30 I loved the voice shit first. Like hearing the slowed down voices. I don't even particularly care for it now. I love it. Well now I'm used to the
Starting point is 00:55:39 different regions that now I know which regions speed it up on purpose and which regions slow it down on purpose. And Chop the Screw is different. But when I first
Starting point is 00:55:50 heard it, I was like, wait, why are y'all taking my favorite song and doing this? I love that shit. Once I spent some more time out there. Once I got a little styrofoam cup. Is that what you needed? No, yes.
Starting point is 00:56:13 Yeah, because I was like, yo, man, how many of these cups get you fucked up like y'all keep saying in these songs? I put three bottles of whole medicine in this cup, and I still see straight. You put three bottles? I had three bottles. I'm like, nigga. You were still awake? Oh, I took a nap. Oh, all right. But I didn't, I wasn't.
Starting point is 00:56:30 Like them. Like they was describing in the songs. Like you just be out. That's when people get to mixing stuff, and this is not that type of podcast. So we won't talk about it here, but that's where you go wrong with all this fentanyl and whatever else is out there. Back to the verses.
Starting point is 00:56:44 So I didn't know that. Yeah, Clue. I didn't know that yeah clue i didn't know that for us was yeah clue is clue for me clue is clue but i understand that drama and his executive work and even in his mixtape game it was executive work yeah so i get it but they said drama versus khal. I've been saying this for years. They said that's the one. I don't think that that's... It doesn't match up. That doesn't match up at all. It doesn't match up at all.
Starting point is 00:57:10 They do different things. And it's going to be one demographic who chase all the Drake shit is going to say Khaled, and then everybody in the streets is going to say drama. I don't know if the streets just immediately go with drama. When drama start playing them dedications and them trap-a-dice and the movies, all them old classic gangster girl shit, the streets are going to say that, bro. Got a point. How does Khaled win if drama can play all of that stuff?
Starting point is 00:57:34 Because the young kids don't know or care about that. The young kids don't matter when real niggas walk in and that shit is on. I agree. That's the part that the internet don't get. Just the same shit he just said. Y'all run shit until real niggas walk in and tell you how it should be. Yo, I'm agreeing,
Starting point is 00:57:49 but it's split demographics. They said that. And that's what, it's just said. That's what's gonna happen. I don't like that matchup. I don't like it either. They do different shit.
Starting point is 00:57:56 They do different shit. It's two, it's two, but when he's, drama got, I mean, Khaled got an entire run he can do on Ross Drake records.
Starting point is 00:58:02 Ross Drake Wayne. Ross Drake Wayne. You're not gonna lose. The Ace Hood sh. Ross Drake, Wayne. Ross Drake, Wayne. You're not going to lose. The Ace Hood shits. Yeah, he could play. You said he not going to win. And I said, I don't know about that. I said, but when you play it to real niggas.
Starting point is 00:58:16 Fine, fine. That's what's going to happen. I'm not sure it's a matchup for B for Khaled. I just would like to see a DJ celebration. Me too, me too. It don't always have to be verses, kill somebody, take somebody out. I'd like to see those two
Starting point is 00:58:27 celebrate along with Clue. That's what I'm learning about the verses. I want to see Clue celebrate it. That's actually what I'm learning about the verses. Flex got fire shit on albums. Just take it as an appreciation.
Starting point is 00:58:36 It's not necessarily you versus you. Even though that's where it started, I'm kind of off that now. I wasn't keeping score on this Soulja Boy, Bow Wow shit. All I know is Bow Wow brought the brat out.
Starting point is 00:58:51 And if you know me, the Funktified album, that was a win until Soulja Boy played trophies. We made it. I mean, we made it. I'm sorry, not trophies. I'm like, why would I keep scoring this? I love we made it. Great.
Starting point is 00:59:07 And I love that y'all going to sit. I know y'all complaining because it's Drake. Y'all going to sit through all of these verses. Word. Until my little eight bars comes up at the end. That's what I like. And you're going to sit through it. Y'all hate these eight bars.
Starting point is 00:59:19 That's what I like. I did this. And I love when you're watching verses with a girl who just enjoys the music and don't know shit about it. And she's like, oh, I told you by playing this song well he made it bow wow played the skit off of doggy style automatic point just one to me when he was a kid yeah that's funny then it went into an automatic point then it went into whatever song that was from bow i forgot didn't bow wow have a trade at all fab remix that should have came on no you've said that before i don't he wasn't on trade at all
Starting point is 00:59:53 why do i believe that now i lost a point when he played oh because fab i i know why i keep saying that fab took that right out the bow i Wow playbook. He took Jagged Edge. He remixed that. Went to Miami. And that's when Bow Wow was running shit too. I said, oh, look at Fab cheating. He put a jersey on
Starting point is 01:00:12 and was trying to be grown wow. Grown wow. He smoked that song though. Alright, so y'all don't care about Khaled versus us. I would like to see DJ battles. I just think that it would... I would like to see DJ battles.
Starting point is 01:00:24 I think Khaled would be... He's just not losing. Khaled has way too many mainstream anthems. Do you feel like the writers are feeling a way right now that Versus was stolen from them? I would like to see more writers, DJ, and producer battles. Like, when this started as the writers educating us about the songs that they had written
Starting point is 01:00:44 that no one knew yeah that was that was pretty enticing how many writers do you have left though man writers tons
Starting point is 01:00:50 man writers tons no there's a bunch of writers can't be Brian nobody can be Brian someone writes all these songs yeah yeah there's a bunch of writers
Starting point is 01:00:57 yeah yeah there's a ton and produces all these songs that exist that would encourage an audience that was when I that was when I knew
Starting point is 01:01:03 the escape SWV battle was gonna go awry when Candy got in her bag that was when I knew the escape SWV battle was going to go awry when Candy got in her bag that was going to end that one hey in the second half Candy was like alright enough don't step aside I got this nah but again you got to be able to
Starting point is 01:01:19 have the writers bring an audience that would want to watch that shit well yeah we're commercializing it and selling it and making a business and now we're relying upon the audience. I got a versus for y'all. Jermaine Dupri and Pharrell. I don't think anybody wants...
Starting point is 01:01:35 I don't think anybody wants Smokey Pharrell. What's the next topic? No disrespect to JD. Never disrespecting JD. I would like to see JD and Trackmasters. I would like to see Trackmasters go against somebody and JD would make sense. JD, Trackmasters,
Starting point is 01:01:51 Jimmy Jam, Terry Lewis, Dark Child. Those are the four I need. I need to see those four people. Maybe not against each other, but they should be celebrated. Somebody has to stand in front of all them Janet records.
Starting point is 01:02:06 See, so the Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, you can only really, in my opinion, go get L.A. and Face. Well, that's what should have happened. Yeah. And that was the rumor at some point that Babyface and L.A. Reid was going to team up.
Starting point is 01:02:21 Got to go get L.A. and Face. Dark Child's a hard out. All these gentlemen are hard outs. I would like to see who goes. Pause. I want to see J.D. in the versus. Because I just feel like he don't get his proper, like he's overlooked, I'll say, today. When people bring up the producers.
Starting point is 01:02:39 Y'all just shut him down like Pharrell just blows him out the water. I don't agree with that. I just don't think, I think Pharrell is in this class by himself. This is a Pharrell fan page over here. I don't think. I understand, but I don't think that's a blowout like that. But again, I'm older. Well, let's fight about that one on Patreon.
Starting point is 01:02:58 Yeah, it's just been having fun today, man. Let me hit the round of applause for this. Our brother's getting used to this pod vibe thing you know what it is? you got that good night's sleep on that queen on that king that's what it is this nigga got arthritis is what he got his bones is aching
Starting point is 01:03:14 that's what it is that good night's sleep coming here in a good mood that nigga bones right there you know he wasn't getting no black girl on a queen black girls will judge you they won't judge nothing nigga black girls will judge your queen Yeah. This nigga's stupid. You know he wasn't getting no black girl on the queen. Oh, man. Black girls will judge you. They won't judge nothing, nigga.
Starting point is 01:03:29 Black girls will judge your queen. Joe, I've had all black girlfriends my whole life, and they slept on the queen. Your whole life? With you. Yeah. Next. Shut up. No, no, no. Stay on that.
Starting point is 01:03:39 No, stay on that. Okay. Look, you don't want to unpack that one. I do. They slept on the queen with you. They'll sleep in a pool with you if they love you. If they love you and like you. There you go.
Starting point is 01:03:48 Yeah, it's about what the bed make them do when they away from you. I mean, forget it. You don't know yet because you didn't have a king. Was she leaving you and sleeping on a queen or fool is my question. What the fuck? Y'all didn't sleep together every night, right? You think she left you and was cool with the queen?
Starting point is 01:04:07 I'm asking you he don't want to talk no more. He don't want to talk to me no more. I'm asking you if you think your girl cheats on the same level that you are or do she cheat up? So if she cheating up on the king
Starting point is 01:04:23 No, no, no, you had a queen so you made her job easy. I'm asking you, if she cheating up on the king. No, no, no, no. You had a queen. So you made her job easy. I'm asking you. If she cheating up on the king, she don't want to come back to the queen? No. Oh. Well, no. She'll come back, but with different thoughts. She'll come back.
Starting point is 01:04:35 I can put my leg over there on the king. Damn, I can roll over twice and still be on the king. Hey, men at home with a queen. As you go to bed, because sometimes it's hard to see the picture when you in it. As you go to bed, when you headed to sleep, realize the small signs, right? Yeah, thank you, Video Village. Finally, we cooking now. We getting this pod shit together.
Starting point is 01:04:58 YouTube, we'll be back soon. The whole Video Village has queens. We getting some things together. If you are at home sleeping on a queen, this is a PSA from all of us here except for Ish. Notice the small things as you're going to bed, the small signs that say your lady don't even really respect you. When she just sleep and like she punching you in the face, her legs, she kicked you.
Starting point is 01:05:21 Yeah, she kicked you in the nuts, nigga. She's like you're not even in the bed with her. That's her bed. That's her bed. You're just there. Hey, that might be a sign that she don't respect you, but you're not feeling me so far, so let's keep going. She's been saying she was tired for three hours,
Starting point is 01:05:37 and you beat her to sleep. Why? Because she uncomfortable, nigga. How come when y'all... It take her a long time to get the spot and then she can go to sleep. How come in the morning, you niggas that sleep on Queens,
Starting point is 01:05:51 y'all wake up and say to your girl, yo, what time when you went to bed? Yo, I went right out. Yeah, I bet you did, peasant. Your girl is uncomfortable in there with you. This nigga's stupid. Yo, your girl in there tapping you like, yo, you know the TVs hang on the wall now, right? Yo, you got the tube shit still?
Starting point is 01:06:11 What, you got an RCA? The big one? Oh, shit. Yo. You got a fatback TV? Yo, it's so old. He like me. He was blown away when RCA came out with the new TVs.
Starting point is 01:06:21 Oh, shit. You got the Xena still? Look at this. The Xena. Nah, the flat tubes. Oh, shit! You got the Xena still? Look at this! The Xena. Nah, the flat tubes. Oh, it's flat in the front! Yo, we was excited. Yo, we was so excited it was flat in the front.
Starting point is 01:06:34 Yo, you remember that? They made the flat in the front. Nah, you don't feel us. You don't feel us. I was working in the stock room like, oh, I'm stealing some of these. Some of these is coming home. Know why? Because my baby mom's who I wasn't even getting along with, she had to the stock room like oh i'm stealing some of these some of these is coming home know why because my baby moms who i wasn't even getting along with she had to respect me as having the flat screen in the crack i can't believe it's been sleeping on a twin a twin you gotta put at least put the
Starting point is 01:06:54 twins together y'all gotta at least fall in the crack in the middle of the bed come on let's get to it bt awards bt awards the b, I'm going to shout out to BET. I enjoyed it. For doing a phenomenal job on an awards ceremony when all the other awards shows got to save budgets and do shit during a pandemic. Well, their pandemic show was actually really good. That's probably the best BET. No, no.
Starting point is 01:07:20 I liked all the pandemic awards shows. I'm not trying to slight any of them. But what I'm saying is BET was faced with the task of throwing the award ceremony when outside just opened. Ah. On the back of all of these great award shows that had the luxury of having profit. I mean, having the money available because we ain't paying for shit. Nobody's here. We're going to do this on Zoom. Right.
Starting point is 01:07:42 So BET, I thought thought did a really really really good job is did you want to start with criticism of them did you want to say that shit you saw him out earlier no no i'm not trying to be funny i'm asking i mean because there are some people saying hey i said it about cbs so i mean if somebody want to say it about bt i won't mind it some of the performances though most of the performances I saw were good. Some people have a problem. I'll just say it. Some people have a problem.
Starting point is 01:08:09 I'm about to get into it. I can talk for myself. I can't. It's like, no, I'm just saying. Like, no, I just don't like. One, I didn't like the Taraji as the host. I ain't like it. Why?
Starting point is 01:08:26 Just too much for you. Yeah, it why just too much for you yeah it's just too much just a lot like yeah it's just over the top all the time Tiffany Haddish-ish for you Tiffany Haddish can cut it on and off
Starting point is 01:08:35 I've seen her cut it on and off okay but when she she can get over the top no she goes over the top sometimes but I've seen her cut it on and off love you Tiffany
Starting point is 01:08:42 if you're listening it's just too much i just i only say her because they they say they say that about her no no she she will she go a little slapstick with it but i know i understand what you mean about uh taraji yeah it's just too much for him like that's not who we are how about that let me take it like yo when you start and again they're gonna kill me but yo when you when you when you start to talk as a potter it's important to know to have that preemptive feeling when they're going to kill you. All right, good, good, good.
Starting point is 01:09:07 You're getting better, yo. So, you know what's coming. Yo, as black people, right? We're so much more. So this was about celebrating black people, celebrating this. The stereotypical views of us, I hate them. I hate them. Yo, we bigger than that.
Starting point is 01:09:23 You get what I'm saying? And those stereotypical views are some of, just some of. Slang, chicken, watermelon, like, yo, all of the bullshit. Yo, girl, that's not who every black person is. Okay, but let me challenge you a little bit. Is it stereotypical or is some of it ours? Some of it is us. But we're so much more than just that.
Starting point is 01:09:40 Of course. So when you put us in this little ass bottle, we don't belong in a box. Do you think that that is what was on display at the BET Awards, us in a little bottle? Yes. Okay. Yes.
Starting point is 01:09:51 Outside of, like they did, it seems like it got put together in short notice, right? I didn't feel like that at all. Me neither. So I like this shit about- It didn't even look like that to me.
Starting point is 01:10:05 Naomi Osaka, I like that. They included at all. Me neither. So I like this shit about- It didn't even look like that to me. Naomi Osaka, I like that. They included current, like very current events. Yeah, very, very current things. But I don't think this was- Hey, pardon me for doing this. Green Man, what I told you about leaving these videos up for us to watch. Just put the winners up. Yo, I think that, you know, they addressed, it was about black women predominantly for this particular episode.
Starting point is 01:10:26 That was a theme. That was a theme. And they really went above and beyond to salute and support the black women and what they were doing. I just think that some of the skits and shit, it'd just be too much. All right, I understand that. Do you have any more critiques of it? No, no, no. A lot of the other shit was dope. But critically, I just think that, you know any more do you have any more critiques of it no no no a lot of the other shit
Starting point is 01:10:45 was dope but critically I just think that you know we're bigger than that we're just bigger than the ghetto this is why I appreciated the Naomi Osaka shit
Starting point is 01:10:57 like you said I like that the Queen Latifah tribute was amazing was amazing see because this is one of my issues with award shows amazing award shows don't get it twisted viewing audience is only for business and you
Starting point is 01:11:13 kind of have to be in the business to know that award shows are only for the business and i respect that i know the work that has to be put in to be an award show artist. It's not many of them. And that's where my issue lies. Because there's not many of them, we are normally force fed the same exact artists every award show. Which is awesome for the artists. But for us, blacks, us, and parks, like the people in the culture, we already support these people.
Starting point is 01:11:52 Like the baby, little baby, her, Meg. I like how they get the side stage thing, though, even though they didn't give them enough shine, in my opinion. I like that about the BET Awards. That's my man. That's my man. But that's my only issue with award shows, not BET, but award shows as a whole is we see the same people doing the same thing or promoting whatever song the label says is up next on the agenda for us to gain the money like again and that's it and knowing
Starting point is 01:12:15 that knowing that I think BET did a great job of trying to differentiate okay yeah because we're not going to get a Queen Latifah tribute nowhere else nowhere else the dmx tribute was also phenomenal we're not gonna we're not gonna get that anywhere else i don't think it would be if we do it wouldn't i don't think it would be done i love it as this was i loved cardi coming out pregnant that was fly not only coming out pregnant but coming out with her man her man's group while they doing their their album run shit. I like that. And really perform. I like seeing, Cardi is one of the ones, and I have a short list of women that will publicly support men.
Starting point is 01:12:54 Unfortunately, it's a short list. But Cardi's on that list of women where she gonna show up for her man no matter what. And I like when she get to doing all that starlets and lust hand movement shit. Because let me tell you, y'all are never getting a Cardi album again. I said that. They talk about what she put the first one out,
Starting point is 01:13:15 pregnant. Shout out to Toray too. Fam. That album's not coming. Shout out to Toray. Let me tell y'all something. Cardi was broke. Not real broke, but her broke when that first album came and Offset was there.
Starting point is 01:13:30 Remember y'all audience was making it a big deal that she was with Offset? Y'all did that. See, the audience is so phony and fucking fickle. Y'all said that. And now look, it's Cardi, independent of her husband that she's still there with and supports I liked all that ghetto shit she was still saying
Starting point is 01:13:48 you bitches can't fuck with me I like it I like when I see that even pregnant and performed she was killed and performed she performed
Starting point is 01:13:56 and I like that trend of women I hope I don't get killed somehow for this just women find a way to kill me I like the trend don't take this the way to kill me. I like the trend. Don't take this the misogynistic way.
Starting point is 01:14:08 I like the trend of women working through pregnancy. Like Serena, when she did that shit, pregnant, that was like the boldest proclamation of womanhood for me. Like, I'm better than y'all pregnant. I'm at the, I'm at the, y'all can't, stop playing. I can't even fuck with me.
Starting point is 01:14:28 Beyonce, when she did Coachella, was pregnant. Yeah. And when we learned that, it was, oh, how the hell did you lay on that table?
Starting point is 01:14:36 You stood up, you did the dance, you had the band, you did all of that. Pregnant? Like, Cardi, I hated performing
Starting point is 01:14:43 un-pregnant. She's performing pregnant. Yeah, she killed it. And got busy. Like, Cardi, I hated performing unpregnant. She's performing pregnant. And got busy. Meg, congratulations to Meg. I was paying attention to if Meg and the baby would be anywhere near each other. Report came out afterward that Meg was like, nah, I don't want to share the stage with him.
Starting point is 01:15:02 That makes sense. Giving all that party, the baby shit that happened whenever it happened. I won't even focus on that because we celebrating great. We celebrating greatness. Tyler's performance is my favorite shit, though. Why they won't talk about it?
Starting point is 01:15:13 That shit was great. With the wind blowing. The car, yeah. It was short. I want Ice to tell me why they won't talk about the Tyler performance. Y'all know why.
Starting point is 01:15:23 I told y'all why. I don't know. They're not going to talk about the Tyler performance? Y'all know why. I told y'all why. I don't know. They're not going to talk about the Tyler performance. He's underrated still. Still. As talented, as creative, as everything that he is. Successful. Successful.
Starting point is 01:15:39 He's still underrated. Whose job is it to figure out how to be rated properly? His or ours? Or the fans? Whose job is it to figure out how to be rated properly? His or ours? Or the fans? Whose job is that? Or J. Cole's? J. Cole has nothing to do with why he's... I don't think so either. It has nothing to do with why he's underrated. He is, though. And many could argue for years
Starting point is 01:16:02 J. Cole was underrated. He was. Okay. It was a great performance. Yeah many could argue for years J. Cole was underrated. He was. Okay. It was a great performance. Yeah, it was a great performance. It was a great performance. To me, it was the most creative and entertaining performance. It was a phenomenal performance that is not being spoken about the way it should be spoken about. And I just want to keep that conversation where it should be instead of taking it where we took it last time saying,
Starting point is 01:16:24 hey, Tyler deserves the credit that such and such gets. conversation where it should be instead of taking it where we took it last time saying hey tyler deserves the credit that such and such gets i'm not going to do that because such and such and you'll learn this when you start to such and such had to figure out how to be rated properly too like you don't skip something that's in somebody else's fight he's great he has to figure out why his greatness is not being applauded by all the way that it should be. Not the many that do. And I hope no one's taking that offensive. I hope everyone understands what I'm saying.
Starting point is 01:16:53 I get hyped apart after these award shows because my brain get to racing just with thoughts. Here's another one for you. Silk Sonic. What are they doing? That's a good question. Somebody tell me. I have no fucking clue.
Starting point is 01:17:04 Come on. I said the fucking clue. Come on. I said the same thing. Silk Sonic is... They're milking the hit single that they have. I'm not mad at that. What do you think? I'm ready for more music, but I'm not mad at them milking that shit.
Starting point is 01:17:15 Nothing else, though? I would like to hear Parks. See, I hate Parks. They said that... As talented as these two are, you... Hey, fuck the talent. Hey, fuck the talent. You got the biggest machines.
Starting point is 01:17:25 You can't... That's why I'm saying I hate you, Parks. That line right there. Why? Because Bruno Mars and Anderson.Paak, 99% of people would assume that when y'all put a song out, y'all have an album to talk.
Starting point is 01:17:39 Absolutely. So they keep pretending like they don't. And they keep saying they don't. So we keep getting a single. So when I say what's going on and you say, they're milking a single, I like it. But I also think they have an album in the tuck. I don't want to hear both of those.
Starting point is 01:17:55 Why? Why? Because my belief that they may not have an album in the tuck if I'm taking them at their word is why I'm angry. Not them milking a single. That's just business. But Anderson Park and Bruno Mars, if anybody says, hey, y'all two should put a
Starting point is 01:18:11 single out, those are the two people you expect to have the album done and ready. Or be three songs away, four songs away. They not supposed to. You gotta be kidding me. This is a joke. This is a joke now. That's what I'm saying. Is these two? They gotta stop. I mean, I'm with. Is these two? They got to stop. I mean, I'm with you.
Starting point is 01:18:26 I'm ready for the album, but at the same time, they know a whole lot more about milking a fucking hit single than I do, so I'm not mad at what they do. And me, but shit,
Starting point is 01:18:34 they don't know more about critiquing than me. So that's what I'm here to do. Critique. Y'all created a new group. You get what I'm saying? Had a smash. This isn't Bruno Mars
Starting point is 01:18:44 featuring Anderson. This is a new group. You get what I'm saying? Had a smash. This isn't Bruno Mars featuring Anderson. This is a new group. They won group of the year. They had a smash. Like, come on, man. You can't tell me that those two dudes didn't hear Leave the Door Open, didn't know it was a smash, brought it to the label. The label didn't know it was a smash.
Starting point is 01:18:58 Everybody there knew that that record was a smash. Normally with a smash, somebody says, yo, go get the rest of that fucking album. Get it done. We're dropping in two months. We're dropping Get it done. We're dropping in two months. We're dropping in eight weeks. We're dropping in six weeks. We're dropping now. Something's got to happen.
Starting point is 01:19:10 That's all. I support them. I love them. Y'all got to hear my baby daddy remix of that song to Cynthia, You Don't Leave Your Door Open. It's amazing. It's phenomenal. I got a question.
Starting point is 01:19:22 Do you think that them, the powers that be, I don't know if it's her or her management team or whatever, is doing her a disservice by constantly highlighting the fact that she's a multi-instrumentalist at every award show? No. How would it be a disservice? I think it takes away from the fact that she writes really good songs and sings really well.
Starting point is 01:19:44 The focus is never on that. It's on, oh, she can play guitar and drums. I think it takes away from the fact that she writes really good songs and sings really well. When you, the focus is never on that. It's on, Oh, she could play guitar and drums and harp and whatever the fuck is in front of her. Cause she's amazing. She's amazing,
Starting point is 01:19:55 which is amazing. But I think it does a disservice to the songs. And in the longterm may do a disservice to branding her, like her album, I think sold what? 34,000 copies. Cause people are paying attention to the songs they're paying attention to oh she can play a bunch of music every time you hear a particular song oh it's so musical these are great songs though
Starting point is 01:20:14 but i don't hear people talking about oh these are great songs oh she was a good songwriter oh she's uh uh an amazing artist they talk about oh man she can play guitar and bass and harp and drums and violin and zither and whatever the fuck instrument you put in front of her. No, see, what I've heard is that she's an amazing writer
Starting point is 01:20:29 and an instrumentalist. I don't really hear that much praise for her singing. And she's an amazing singer. You're on a queen, my nigga. You need a king.
Starting point is 01:20:42 The bitch isn't a king listening to her. I love Ishmael. Nah, that's what I've heard. I think that just adds to her brand. I think it helped her, but I'm saying at this point,
Starting point is 01:20:57 I think it might be doing a disservice. I think it would be doing it a disservice if the music didn't live up to it, but it does. I don't think that the music itself is getting highlighted. I think the fact that she it a disservice if the music didn't live up to it. But it does. I don't think the music itself is getting highlighted.
Starting point is 01:21:07 I think the fact that she is so talented is getting highlighted. It wouldn't go hand in hand. Your question. We don't need to argue about this or debate this because your question, Parks, is a valid one. Who knows the answer to it? But that's a valid question. And I'm glad that you got there because my thought process regarding her and her album sales i told ice that i couldn't wait to come in here
Starting point is 01:21:30 and talk about her this very topic and i'll be honest i'm coming in with my cape on let me cut this off for a minute i don't know i don't know the answer to that question. I don't typically hear a whole bunch of casual music fans talking about all the instruments she plays. That's me. Also, I talk to a lot of women that just listen to her. So what the fuck do I know, right? But her sold what? 34,000 records. Something like something like that 34 000 week one let me preface this with i think her will be fine of course i think that she'll do numbers in this range for mad weeks
Starting point is 01:22:21 that's the luxury that r&b has that rap maybe doesn't this body of work will can live through the year and she'll end up perfectly fine but 34 000 first week something's wrong that's the first thing i said i said something is wrong and then my brain tried to spot what was wrong and i immediately went to the artist because that's where it starts and ends. And I couldn't find much because she did her job. This is a phenomenal album. It is a great album. It sounds like her.
Starting point is 01:22:58 It's in the spirit of her. It sounds like what she's given us for the years before. It sounds like the look. It looks like the years before it sounds like the look it looks like the album cover the sequencing it's all cohesive yeah it's musical the features are right and the thing that i went to when i watched that performance is that i feel like they're branding the novelty of her as a musician and talent as opposed to letting the music and her, the artist, take the forefront? Maybe. Potentially. Maybe. Right?
Starting point is 01:23:29 Would that translate in sales? When I left the artist... It could? It could. Anything can translate in sales. Well, it does. It does make her who it is, but there has to be a balance. You have to know what the people care about, what they don't, what's marketable, what isn't. And I'm not speaking on that the people care about what they don't what's marketable
Starting point is 01:23:45 what isn't and i'm not speaking on that aspect of her because i don't know if i played mad instruments i would want to say that too i think like and the label would want to say that not in comparison but people say prince you know like no he yeah she's the prince he played this she gives me some prince vibes i'm a huge prince fan prince fans don't kill me gives me some Prince vibes. Yeah, she does. I'm a huge Prince fan. Prince fans don't kill me. I get some Prince vibes. I get that a lot. Right? And I got that from the album.
Starting point is 01:24:10 So it's there. I left her and I went to the label, RCA. RCA has some of the better R&B acts out there. They do a really good job with R&B. I've praised them for a long time. They've got the R&B hit squad over there and a few rappers is dope, right? RCA
Starting point is 01:24:29 did their job. RCA put her on every award show for at least three years. Dating back to when she was on the BET Up Next thing. That was three years ago. Right. RCA spent money for three years to get her where she needed to be.
Starting point is 01:24:56 So then I'm like, OK, well, this had to be like this because she didn't have a single to take off, even though Damage is my favorite record and record of the year. And I know it hit number one so let me go check and i went and checked that record was released october 30th and spent six months on the chart peaking at number one do y'all know what that means from a financial standpoint the label worked this record for six months and it worked. Plus the award show, plus all of the other. Yeah. They put her. She's at the forefront.
Starting point is 01:25:34 Everywhere that she needed to be. Yeah. For three whole years. Now, if you're a label and you make that type of investment and you've been in a quarantine pandemic lockdown for a year and change, you're saving your heavy hitters for when outside is open. My A plus X that I expect to keep the lights on in here when I can do a proper rollout and they can tour and they can be seen in the correct fashion, then I'll put them out. That's the thinking amongst the labels. That's why we didn't get very much music during the pandemic all of that made sense or did it because that's where i land when it comes to her and i was about to say i think timing the timing is important in music
Starting point is 01:26:18 and while her and and the feeling of the music is important in music we kept saying y'all can't wait till outside is open because there are some records that sound better when you're outside, when you're in a party, when you're in a car, shit like that. I think her music sounds better or could potentially if everybody's locked in the house. Winter music. Winter music. For sure. It's inside music. Winter music. Winter music.
Starting point is 01:26:40 For sure. It's inside music. Winter music. If everybody's locked in the house, getting dicked down by one or two people, or not getting dicked down at all, just home, bored with your thoughts, in your feelings, or in the back of your mind. If I'm an R&B act,
Starting point is 01:26:55 and the name of my album is Back of My Mind, I'm going to argue for that at the label. I'm going to say, hey. You might not win that argument. No, I might not win. Especially as a new artist, after the label has dumped all this money into me the label i know i just want to highlight how important timing could be in music and again i don't know that that is the reason for this number but looking all around everybody seemed to do their job,
Starting point is 01:27:27 but the fans, but us. And I ain't even putting it on that because you can't tell me niggas don't like this album. This album's great. It is. Everything I've heard is amazing. One question on that, because that said on pace, is that the actual number?
Starting point is 01:27:38 Because you know the projections sometimes be high or low or they be off. Was that the actual number? People say that, but let me just tell the viewing audience, the projection normally is not too far off. Never. Take that and go with it. I've seen them be
Starting point is 01:27:53 off. Not as much nowadays. When the streaming shit and they were fudging the numbers around, the numbers got screwy. Recently, I feel like they've been a little bit more. Very rarely now. When you see it go throwing off now, that's only from the people like Chris Brown fan base,
Starting point is 01:28:10 Uzi fan base. What happens is you'll put your album out on Friday. The number of people will look at who goes to the store Friday, who goes to the store Saturday, and then they project. There ain't no store no more.
Starting point is 01:28:25 Or who goes in their phone. They're looking at how many sales were given out the first two days, and now we'll project. Some of these fan bases, they'll keep your second day sales up on day three, day four, day five, day six. The projection people can never spot that. So if they say you'll do 40 and you come out doing 30 more you did 70 that's your fan those are your fans showing up got it but the projection on you is gonna be 50 55 still in range
Starting point is 01:28:55 okay they not this one is not that off okay that could be the actual number but your fans ain't making 30 the projection jump from 34 to 60 because then the projection wouldn't be 34 the computers are not that stupid right got it that's how that works her you have my you have all of my support like i'm rocking with you i think you're killing shit you're phenomenal and i hope that this number doesn't discourage you your team or your label because i know how that could be as an act too. Yeah, you should feel good, man. You did your fucking job on this project.
Starting point is 01:29:30 And continue to. She killed the awards. Yeah, she kills every award. She's her. Amazing talent. And her, I got her, we're listening to her
Starting point is 01:29:38 festival lineup, right? For September, September 19th, September 18th. R&B heaven. Crazy. R&B heaven. Pull it up, pull it up. It's definitely a R&B super R&B heaven. Crazy. R&B heaven. Pull it up, pull it up.
Starting point is 01:29:45 It is definitely an R&B super R&B heaven. Those are the festivals I'm going to. We're checking for guns. We're getting weapons out of here. He was joking about this on the way here. No, I wasn't joking. No, I'm talking about my joke. I showed him a festival that I'm going to,
Starting point is 01:29:58 and he read this lineup. I was like, nah, I'm cool on this. You probably don't even need security. Yeah, Ice is going to see the projects where GS9 was born festival. Right? No,

Gotta teach y'all to use your search, man. Nah, you saying this the love on top for the day. She talking about getting her heart smashed. That ain't the best song.
Starting point is 01:33:44 It's not the most applicable. We don't want to. Oh, he got it. He got it. Uh-oh. Now you can talk to him. You asked me to look for it, so if you don't sing. Now you can talk to him.
Starting point is 01:33:54 Come on with it, then. If you don't sing it with me, then what was the point? I'm not doing it. Then what the fuck you asked me to look for it for? It's an amazing song. Let it rock for a little bit. Hold up, man. Now I need the ladies out there to vibe with me.

Starting point is 01:37:02 I'm about to get married next week let me go home don't kidnap me talking about when you go to the concert and they kidnap you they don't kidnap me at the concert i'm with the niggas that do the kidnapping allegedly all right forget it then what they kidnap all y'all i know what if some of the hey we the kidnappers no we are get in here get in here damn it you cool with the ops no i don't have ops i said no they're ops i'm not cool with they said i'm with the kidnapper Nah, I don't have ops. I said, no, they're ops. I'm not cool with the ops.
Starting point is 01:37:25 You said I'm with the kidnappers. I promise y'all I got more topics. We here. Don't worry about it. Don't worry about it. We here. Don't even worry about it. Don't even worry about it.
Starting point is 01:37:31 Let's see. Oh, back to the fight. Saturday night. Let's go back to the fight. Okay. Gervonta's the man. He is. That's what I got.
Starting point is 01:37:38 That's it. There's nothing more to say. He's proven it time and time again. That was an amazing fight. That dude is tough, though. That dude was tough. That was a really good fight. But that's what I'm saying about my Saturday again. That was an amazing fight. That dude is tough, though. That dude was tough. That was a really good fight. But that's what I'm saying about my Saturday night.
Starting point is 01:37:48 I was knocked out. He was on his little baby Tyson shit. He reminds me of Mike Tyson. Do you want to give me a recap for someone who didn't see it, like myself? All right. The recap is Gervonta was fighting Mario Barrios, which I call him Dude. Dude was the champ. Two weight classes heavier.
Starting point is 01:38:07 Two weight classes heavier. Gervonta moved up in weight to fight him. Okay. Gervonta, a lot of people said, was losing all through round nine. He was losing the fight. Through round nine. This dude was- All right, eight.
Starting point is 01:38:24 Oh, yeah, eight. This is eight. Yeah, he was losing up until eight. And the dude was. All right, eight. Oh, yeah, eight. This is eight. Yeah, he was losing up until eight. And the dude was a warrior. And then Floyd, who was in the corner of Javante, was saying, yo, you're losing. You got to turn it up. I know you don't want to hear this shit, but I'm never going to lie to you. Get on your shit.
Starting point is 01:38:42 And he went out there and. Merry Fistmas to him. He gave him some merry fistmas and we thought it was over because he hit dude something decent okay but dude was a warrior he got up and he fought through it and then giovante gave him another body blow bong and he fell down and he got up he fought through it From round eight to whenever this fight was over, dude was taking punishment. But he was a warrior, which is also his nickname. Okay. He came in playing African drums, and he wasn't African.
Starting point is 01:39:15 That's how I knew he better knew how to fight. Like, when you just stand at the top of the hallway and let the... I'm like, oh, nigga, you better be tough. He had African drums rocking as an Asian man. See his shirt? So, yeah. So, yeah, that was the fight, man. That was the fight. The dude was a warrior.
Starting point is 01:39:34 Gervonta won. They stopped it in, what, 11th? 11th. I'm mad I missed it. And it was amazing. That's usually my Saturday night. Nah, the funny part was, it was a good fight. It wasn't one-sided.
Starting point is 01:39:47 You know how you're watching Floyd start beating a nigga up after five and it just don't even be close? Nah, this shit was close. He was losing. Gervonta had his girl at Nessa was dead looking great. Y'all saying, why am I bringing that up? Because all the girls that was watching the fight just cared about that. Of course.
Starting point is 01:40:02 That's all they care about. And then I asked a question, and it turned the room upside down, and everybody left the fight just cared about that. Of course. That's all they care about. And then I asked a question and it turned the room upside down and everybody left the topic. What was the question? I'm scared. Yeah. I mean, I asked in the proxy round home.
Starting point is 01:40:19 I was asking women. I'll ask y'all. But y'all don't answer it. I was asking the women, because we can't answer it, if to the Instagram woman community, if seeing Nessa at this fight was the win. Was that the top of the mountain? And they all said yes. And I said, okay, and walked outside to smoke.
Starting point is 01:40:43 And then they said, but wait, where is it? I said, I don't know. I'm fine. Please don't. Please And walked outside to smoke. And then he said, but wait, where? I said, I don't know. Don't worry about it. I'm fine. Please don't. Please don't talk to me. Let me just smoke. That's it.
Starting point is 01:40:52 And then that was the end. Moving on. Moving on. But I say that, though, because I know shit like that is inspiring to women. When you see somebody, like Cardi, fam, they saw Cardi at the strip club tipping her shaking it and now you're on TV
Starting point is 01:41:08 you're the biggest performer in the world that has to be inspiring if you're a woman Nessa you seen her like I'm only bringing up the women
Starting point is 01:41:15 because these are women that you've seen who she got don't she got a baby by somebody it's not my business yeah she has children she has a daughter
Starting point is 01:41:22 I don't know fucking know but I'm saying you're seeing her you're seeing her. You're seeing her. I get it. Yeah, the women.
Starting point is 01:41:27 So now to see her there. That has to be. I wanted to ask the women how they felt about that. And yeah, it's a dub for them. I get it. Come on, moving on. It is. Moving on. Moving on.
Starting point is 01:41:37 Moving on. Moving on. What else we got? Oh, I'm done with this fight. That was all I had about the fight. I'm mad I missed it. And y'all didn't see the fight. I was knocked out. It was a good fight. I'm mad I missed it. And y'all didn't see the fight. I was knocked out.
Starting point is 01:41:46 It was a good fight. I'm mad I missed that one. And again, he went up two full weight classes and got the knockout. It was a good fight. I'm so mad I missed this fight. Do you want to briefly
Starting point is 01:41:56 talk about the building that collapsed in Florida? I don't know a lot about it. I know. You know a building collapsed in Florida, right? A bunch of people are still alive inside because they're calling people outside. It's a grandparent couple that keep butt dialing somebody in their family.
Starting point is 01:42:21 Right. They've butt dialed somebody like six, seven times in their family. Does that tell you that somebody's alive i was just getting ready to say because that don't tell me that no i think the people hear people like hear something in in the background the people that are no he said he's here static oh when every time the grandson was 16 times if i'm not mistaken and every time it's been static in the background what keeps pushing the button that's the thing i've read different wouldn't you have to be it could be a bunch of different things yeah i just wouldn't take that as a sign of life right so what they what they said early on was that they had accounted for four people dead and i'm not
Starting point is 01:43:02 updated as of yesterday they have four people dead and 150 people unaccounted for, which I do understand why you're saying unaccounted for. You want to give hope, right? You don't want to say, hey, niggas is dead before you know that. Now it's 11 confirmed. 11 confirmed dead, right? Rest in peace. Yes, 100% rest in peace. But this building fell while everyone was asleep.
Starting point is 01:43:27 It was 6 in the morning, 7, 8 in the morning, 4 in the morning, whatever time it was. People were asleep. What a nightmare. Think about that. I don't want to. Think about being asleep and 19 floors just collapse on top of of you you wouldn't have much hope right no like if they pull if they're able to pull any life from this mess it's a miracle that's 100%
Starting point is 01:43:55 it's a miracle i i read uh yesterday uh someone from the miami hurrell reporting on this said that there was a contractor or so who went in there about 36 some odd hours prior to this underneath the pool and saw cracks in the concrete rebar exposed all kind of shit like this really and said yo here it is and said that this is an issue letter sent months before deadly florida collapse warrant damage to condo building was accelerating. That's where it gets funny, man. If I owned a building, I might have paid a board to just get out of here, write something favorable, let me keep my business on right. No, you could.
Starting point is 01:44:37 Right? But that's not favorable if you own the building, no? No, no, no. This isn't. Oh, you're saying write the report. And actually, this is favorable. They let them keep rocking. Yeah, you don't have to.
Starting point is 01:44:47 They didn't say shut that down, get out, fix it. They just gave an update. You don't got to remediate the stuff. Watching it, though, it is horrific. Yeah. I don't see a way you could survive in that. Now, some of the thinking here was, because they did show the reports of the building inspectors,
Starting point is 01:45:09 where the inspectors pointed out and highlighted all of the cracks in the building, right? And wrote, if continued water damage is applied, it might be a hard day. But I mean, if you're a building owner and you hear that blah blah blah yeah that don't that's not urgent enough right so then you keep this going and of course if you go long enough you bump into the conspiracy theory that well from what i've what i'm hearing out there is, hey, Joe, did you hear anything about the story that some of McAfee's family members lived in the building that collapsed in Florida?
Starting point is 01:45:54 And to which my response is, no, I have not heard that story. And I would also assume if McAfee had family members that lived there, had their name on the lease, that news would be out already. Right. So now you're telling me that he had family members that were not on a lease that lived there? I don't want to dig too deep into that. Oh. And I hate to believe that. I don't know if that makes the news.
Starting point is 01:46:21 I haven't heard that. And I don't really know. I've heard it from multiple people. I don't know if that makes the news. I haven't heard that and I don't I don't really know. I've heard it from multiple people. I don't know if it makes the news. What? If he had family members If John McAfee had no family living in there
Starting point is 01:46:33 that is on the news. That makes the news 100%. His case barely made the news. Or they'll try to figure a way to shuffle that one. His case barely made the news. This is not primetime news if his auntie was living in that building under the bus. Yeah, his case barely made the news. This is not primetime news.
Starting point is 01:46:45 If his auntie was living in that building. Coming off the heels of that, I think it becomes news. It may not be primetime news to the people that are responsible for getting us the news. But somebody else would get us. That's what I mean. Somebody else would get us this news. No, that's what I mean. I mean him himself.
Starting point is 01:47:00 His case was. Yeah. Listen. Listen. his case was yeah listen listen all the prayers in the world to anybody closely related
Starting point is 01:47:10 to this horrific scene out there I can't even imagine of course you can't no I mean that the grandson that's getting that phone call
Starting point is 01:47:18 like that period that would ruin me it's dark you're learning you're queen size and your building just starts to fall you're on a or period yo it's dark it's dark you landing your queen size and
Starting point is 01:47:25 your building just starts to fall you on the 17th floor fuck that you on the first floor yeah it's a lot grandparents landline
Starting point is 01:47:36 keeps downing grandson landline oh it's the landline downing grandson from collapsed Florida building and there's no one there
Starting point is 01:47:42 that's a lot man yeah it's not even a cell that's a lot that's a lot, man. Yeah, it's not even a cell. That's a lot. That's a lot. Prayers to anybody that lost somebody or is still holding out hope that a family member will return or make a phone call. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:47:58 You got to give them something. Yeah, yeah. I got you. That right there is something that man God bless them families just thinking about it fuck you all God bless all the families that are dealing with
Starting point is 01:48:14 difficult phone calls in this time I watch the news every morning boy you niggas out there getting stupider and stupider y'all getting dumber and dumber y'all just gonna keep going to Times Square and shooting The sad part about it, every time you see the story on the news None of you can aim, so you're hitting an innocent person
Starting point is 01:48:33 You're hitting a bystander, you're hitting somebody on the way to work Somebody with their kids, somebody that was just getting in their car Like you niggas need, man, Jesus Girl, you you looking sweet dog They shot somebody last week in Times Square Killed him They put a bunch of extra cops around Times Square Cause that's what Bill Belazio said he would do
Starting point is 01:48:55 Right And then last night they shot somebody else So what does Bill Belazio do Gets back on the news and say we're putting more people on Well how many people How many people need to get shot for you to put more cops out there? I'm cutting this off for two seconds, right? I'm going to say this and I'll cut it back on, right? Because you had to change the story up when more people got shot in Times Square,
Starting point is 01:49:21 our tourist attraction here that makes over $100 billion for the city, right? So he comes back on to say, this time we're putting some undercovers there. And I sat at home confused. Bill, if they kept
Starting point is 01:49:40 shooting with the normal cops around, what do you think the... I'd be asking myself... I get so much joy out of this stupid shit. Nah, I make a lot... I'm shooting with the Bluetooth uniforms around.
Starting point is 01:50:00 So you can put the undercovers there. You know what would have to happen? He would have to be in the exact spot. No, you can see jokers that look a little suspicious and conspiring. Oh, you're profiling. Who do I profile? Hey, look, sometimes you got to- I look suspicious every time I'm outside.
Starting point is 01:50:14 I'm just saying, yeah, but- I don't have a weapon on me, and I dare you to ask. Sometimes you got to profile, man. I don't want to- Oh, man. What, man? Go ahead. I'm saying-
Starting point is 01:50:24 Tell us. Sometimes you do have to profile. Sometimes you could tell us- man. Go ahead. I'm saying. Tell us. Sometimes you do have to profile. Like, sometimes you could tell us. You're going to the Dirk concert. I most certainly am. I'm probably profiling everybody in there. You don't need to.
Starting point is 01:50:35 You know who they are. We all going to be in there then. I'm going to smoke. Y'all niggas be so conflicted. You hear me? I said sometimes you do have to profile. Yes, I'm going to that. All right, tell me when it's okay to smoke. Y'all niggas be so conflicted. You hear me? I said sometimes you do have to profile. Yes, I'm going to that. All right, tell me when it's okay to profile.
Starting point is 01:50:53 I don't even know. Honestly, I don't know when it's okay. So you're saying something that you don't even. No, no, I don't know when it's okay. All right, a situation like the Times Square thing. If somebody looks scared. All right, we back. fuck what Ice was talking about we not even doing that
Starting point is 01:51:08 I gotta protect people from themselves we just gonna move right along Doc God is back this is an audio adventure what is happening over there Doc God is back
Starting point is 01:51:23 I'm back with more doc reviews for you, for all of the people who are trapped inside their house or are reminded, now that outside is open, about why you never went outside. This is for you. How about I say nobody's trapped inside? So I finally got Peacock for the Ghislaine Maxwell doc. They pulled the bullshit.
Starting point is 01:51:47 Would it let you watch one episode free? Then you got to pay for the next two as if they could trick me. I hit ice immediately. Said, yo, upload this show to this server. And I watched the rest for free. You didn't have the $7.99 for them? Yeah, word. I couldn't spend it.
Starting point is 01:52:08 This was a really good doc. I'm telling you this in case you too can do like me and find a bootleg somewhere and not pay Peacock. Or pay Peacock. This is not an ad. I got $7.99.
Starting point is 01:52:20 So if you want a bootleg Peacock, do that shit. They're not paying me to tell you to watch it in its proper place. So watch it on YouTube. I don't care where you fucking watch it, but it's really, really good. And episode one gets into the psychology of, as a therapy baby, I love when they do this, growing up in the household. Whatever's going on in your life, it started from the household.
Starting point is 01:52:41 So they get into her household and her dad. And I wasn't all the way knowledgeable, and that was informative. She comes from money, money, too. And her dad was one of them. Was a nigga with money, money. Money, money, teaching the ropes, not around a lot,
Starting point is 01:52:59 closer to her than the mom was. You could see where the affinity for being close to a man, Jeffrey Epstein, came from. Like they said, her world was shattered when the dad died. They said she did what she had to do and burnt up a lot, cut up a lot of
Starting point is 01:53:15 paperwork that authorities might have been looking for. She was a writer, Doc. She held it down for him first. That's what the Doc is talking about. I won't spoil the next two episodes but it's a really really good doc if you're looking for some viewing entertainment while you're in the house from there on my sunday sit the fuck down sunday i watched i sniper i also watched that on a server not on whatever network that comes on vice Vice. Vice. Vice doesn't pay me, so I didn't watch it on Vice.
Starting point is 01:53:47 I, Sniper, is the DC Sniper story, but Lee Malvo's. And that's the younger teen. And this is a doc. If you have a choice, watch this first. Okay.
Starting point is 01:54:04 They were killing people way before DC. Really? Like, in his training of the child, they were killing in a war tour. Wow. Just casually, just popping motherfuckers. Well, calculated, if you're going from the older gentleman's perspective,
Starting point is 01:54:26 I think his name was John something. Damn. I'm going to say this because this is what the doc explained. It's not for us to get into, but I could see how it might be triggering for us, some of us, right? Apparently, John was in a custody battle with his kids. And he lost. And he couldn't see his kids.
Starting point is 01:54:49 His name was John Muhammad. John Muhammad. And they played the audio of him in court losing that custody battle. And he just sounded like a really heartbroken and distraught man saying, hey, so you're telling me that I can't see my kids anymore? Wait, so you're telling me that I'm not going home to my kids. Wait, you're telling me I don't have custody. I have custody of my, why can't I see my kids?
Starting point is 01:55:11 They got him the fuck out of there. And from that point on, he was on a mission. So that's like, that would be like his, they created the villain, you know, like the villain backstory type of shit. According to him. Yeah, I'm saying according to him. That one moment that changed everything. Yeah, yeah yeah yeah from from that moment he was on a mission to according to the doc to uh just teach the government a lesson which is why he chose dc they were driving they
Starting point is 01:55:37 stopped in illinois shot a bunch of people he was training the kid into how to be a stone cold killer and was just like no you're not ready yet after after each kill no you're not ready yet okay now you ready now now go up to the door of uh his kid's home and whoever answers the door blow their brains out i don't care who answered the door just bloody brains out and that's what he did. And then the sister died or something like that. It was a... It's seven episodes. Wow. I, Sniper. And it's Lee Malvo in his own words describing the training and killings.
Starting point is 01:56:13 That's sick. Which leads me to another question I had for y'all on Patreon, which was how do y'all feel about murderers being interviewed? But I want to save that for Patreon because that's going to take us somewhere different. But yeah, I sniper check it out it's on vice this is not an ad so check it out on youtube or wherever you want to check it out uh and that's that on that scotty pippen he's really trying to sell a book he is or he's got really good drugs or really good whiskey or he really has it out for someone whether that be phil jackson michael jordan larsa pippen future i don't know but this latest scotty story says and
Starting point is 01:56:56 i just find it odd out when people got books out they just get as wild as they can get yeah everything i'm assuming that the publishing house encourages you to write about shit that you've never spoken about before, and that's what they're going to publicize when it's time to roll this book out. But Scotty is on a promo run, and somebody asked him about claims made in the book where Scotty talks about Tony Kukoc taking the last shot in the 94 finals when Michael Jordan wasn't around. And Scotty says that
Starting point is 01:57:25 that was racially that was a racial thing i was the number one guy mike wasn't around i helped carry this franchise why would you draw up something for me to be out of bounds this is a racist thing and when questioned about it he doubled down and said hey you don't remember when uh phil jackson wrote a book and he dragged Kobe Bryant through the mud as a coach? You're supposed to keep everything in the circle. That was OK with you for him to let things out of the circle against, at the time, probably the best player that we had, Kobe Bryant. That was his reasoning. reasoning and when the interviewer said are you calling phil jackson a racist his words verbatim was yeah i don't have a problem with that i have no issue with that to that you gentlemen have what
Starting point is 01:58:15 to say i just want is the book out yet no i just want the book to come out at this point? You're doing a lot. Would I think that Phil Jackson would be a racist? No. But I can't say. Yeah, I just can't immediately dismiss it. He could be a racist. I won't say that about him drawing up a play for rookie
Starting point is 01:58:39 Tony Kukoc, who made the shot. Because part of that, as they explained in the doc, was the person inbounding the ball is just as important as the person making the shot. So Scottie was the shot. Yeah. Because part of that, as they explained in the doc, was the person inbounding the ball is just as important as the person making the shot. So Scottie was the inbounder. Mm-hmm. 6'7 guy, great passer.
Starting point is 01:58:53 Yeah. That seems logical. The interviewer then responded to Scottie and said- It was Dan Patrick, by the way. I love Dan Patrick. Put some respect to him. I love Dan Patrick. In my head, I'm saying I like the guy in this interview,
Starting point is 01:59:02 but I can't remember the name. Dan Patrick. And then Dan was like, well, Phil drew up something for Steve Kerr as well. What do you say to that? Then the clip cut off, and I didn't see whatever the fuck they said. He didn't draw up the play for Steve Kerr, though. Yes, he did. No, he didn't.
Starting point is 01:59:17 Michael Jordan said, yo, I know they're going to come at me, so if they come at me, you got to be ready. And Steve Kerr said, okay. The play was not drawn up for Steve Kerr. You don't have Michael Jordan on your team and said okay the play was not drawn up for steve kerr you don't have michael jordan on your team and draw up the play for steve kerr so i get every story that i've heard said that phil jackson drew that play up for the attention to go to mike and for mike to pass to steve and that's how both of them i've heard explain the story but anyway regardless to scotty
Starting point is 01:59:44 pippen's defense if you are the best player on team, you want the ball in your hands for the last shot. Period. It's no arguing. It's no nothing. Your competitive nature, your competitive spirit. Now, there is an argument. If you're the best player on the team, it's your job to lead the team no matter what the play is. That's the argument.
Starting point is 01:59:58 If I'm the coach, it's my job to get the coaches to the win. I know. And they won. I said, in Scottie Pippen's defense, if you're the best player on the team, you want the ball. All the greats want the ball. I'm not mad at them for wanting the ball.
Starting point is 02:00:13 You can want it, but you don't necessarily make it racial. Right. No, I didn't say I agree with the racial piece. We started off with Scottie Pippen's defense. No, I'm talking about the ball. Well, if you're thinking of how to defend him, go ahead. I'm just thinking about the ball. Like, yo, I want the ball. I don't give a fuck. I'm tight if you give the. No, I'm talking about the ball. Well, if you're thinking of how to defend him, go ahead. I'm just thinking about the ball. Like, yo, I want the ball.
Starting point is 02:00:26 I don't give a fuck. I'm tight if you give the ball to Tony Kukoc. You could be tight, but enter the game. Oh, I agree. No, no, no. I agree with that, too. Because the fucked up part is this is your legacy now that it's been reintroduced to the younger generation from the dock.
Starting point is 02:00:40 I got one. We killed. And Kevin Durant is bringing it up. So now all the greats are going to bring it up. That was my beef when LeBron was beefing with Phil Jackson when Phil was on the Knicks. As a longtime Knicks fan, now that LeBron is beefing with you, Phil,
Starting point is 02:00:52 he wins. The players win. So if they're going to cast that spell on you of telling a whole new generation yo, y'all been trash forever. They just asked Saquon Barkley or somebody that grew up in Dallas. No, no, the quarterback for Arizona.
Starting point is 02:01:09 Kyle. Kyle Murray. They asked him, yo, you grew up in Dallas. How do you feel about the Cowboys? And he said, nigga, I hate the Cowboys. They've been trash my whole life. He's right, but he's wrong. The Cowboys ain't been trash.
Starting point is 02:01:21 They've been them dudes. You should look them up. But in his lifetime yeah he don't know that i forgot how i even got to that part of this so watch this we we did we killed watch this is back man right you see that we heard that shit since episode one yo we killed 30 episodes we kill p carol who everybody i'm not i don't forget for not giving the baltimore no he should have given the ball to Marshawn Lynch. No, he should have given the ball to Marshawn Lynch.
Starting point is 02:01:46 Yeah. What's the difference? There's a... I can tell you the difference. There's a big difference in the two of us. There's a mad difference. There's a huge difference. Conceptually, you said you listened to the coach.
Starting point is 02:01:57 The coach, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. And they did. All right. But if I'm on the one-yard line, I have Marshawn Lynch. I agree that they should have given the ball to Marshawn Lynch He just caught a 50 yard pass He's carrying niggas up the street And they lost
Starting point is 02:02:11 They gave They gave Marshawn Lynch the ball The previous three plays No no 2-2 He caught a 50 yarder down the left line And then he ran it up to the one And now you're at the one. And he ran for one for like 16 yards. And now you're at the one with Marshawn Lynch.
Starting point is 02:02:29 I'm agreeing. I said from the coach's perspective, why are we not killing Phil Jackson for that? Because they won. Because they won. It worked. They won the game. The plan worked. Not only did they win, since you want me to answer it, way more politics in football than basketball to me.
Starting point is 02:02:47 We would have killed Pete Carroll regardless if motherfucker caught the touchdown or not. That's not true. That's not true at all. If Pete Carroll would have gave Marshawn Lynch the ball after those two plays and they lose the game, nobody says a word. Nobody says a word. So why are you saying we would have killed him? If he would have called that play up.
Starting point is 02:03:05 You didn't hear what I said. Oh. I said if homeboy caught the touchdown. Oh, then nobody says a word. No, we still kill him. No, we don't. Well, yo, Pete Carroll's thinking while we're on the subject, because he explained it.
Starting point is 02:03:16 He said, but this is with the coach following the mathematician, advanced analytics guys on the sideline. Pete Carroll said, we have run that play on third down in the playoffs to perfection this entire time. Pete Carroll's lying. I mean, he might have did that, but that's not why he didn't give up. Well, he's not lying because Stephon Gilmore said, I was watching the tape. I watched film.
Starting point is 02:03:42 And I watched him do this play, and I'm taking it, and he took it. So, I mean, he wasn't lying. No, no. It just didn't do this play and I'm taking it and he took it so I mean he wasn't lying it just didn't work this time I'm saying that's not why he did it I mean I'm sorry it's politics why
Starting point is 02:03:51 they didn't do that we all know that it's politics why they didn't do that play 100% I agree definitely politics but there are more politics
Starting point is 02:03:59 in football than basketball you can't have the Super Bowl MVP get up there and say I'm not doing interviews correct you just you just brought us down the field on the fucking last drive basketball. You can't have the Super Bowl MVP get up there and say, I'm not doing interviews. Correct. You just brought us down the field on the fucking last drive of the Super Bowl winning game, and you're not going to give an interview to the media. That's never going to happen.
Starting point is 02:04:14 So now we have to put it in place to make Russell Wilson, the golden boy, get up there and be the MVP. And while we're on the subject of docs, now you got a 30-30 that I'm staying home for. All of these players are still alive. Somebody, and they were disgruntled after that. They all fought. Killed the team.
Starting point is 02:04:32 The defense left. Richard Sherman, Russell Wilson. They killed the team. Listen, it's nuts. So, go speak to these people so somebody can tell us the truth about that play. We deserve it. We were watching. We will never get the truth.
Starting point is 02:04:44 No, we'll get it. No, we'll get it. We'll get it. Not that truth. We will never get the truth. No, we'll get it. No, we'll get it. We'll get it. Not that truth. We'll get it. Pete Carroll won't be interviewed for it. Pete Carroll might not say it, but we'll get it. But he made the call.
Starting point is 02:04:52 I know. So you're not going to get it. He's not going to do the interview. That's what I'm saying. We don't need to get it. We don't need to get it from him. I mean, we can all say, yo, we knew what it was. No.
Starting point is 02:05:00 People in the locker room that were there that have more information about the politics that were involved, they got more info. Jokers wanted him gone. Marshawn Lynch said the whole time, yo, there's a reason I didn't get that ball on that play. Like, he's made no secret of it. You know that it's known. We all know it. But we need to hear it. No, let me ask you this now.
Starting point is 02:05:25 Is Pete Carroll wrong? Yes. 100%. Yes. They lost the game. Like I said. Yes. It works fine. Pete Carroll is wrong. It didn't work. So yeah. Thibodeau's wrong for cutting Austin Rivers in March
Starting point is 02:05:40 and letting him cook for Denver in the playoffs while we search for a bucket. Sometimes coaches are wrong, but we'll never know until we're using hindsight because they're smarter than us. The coaches know more than us at all times. Now, when they make the mistake, we're smarter than them. And that's how it goes. NBA playoff.
Starting point is 02:05:58 Let's talk playoff basketball. None of our teams are in it. None. Still got the Suns winning the championship. Dwight Howard showed up to the game. You should fucking be ashamed of yourself. Anyway. Still got the Suns. Still got the Suns winning the chip. Dwight Howard showed up to the game. You should fucking be ashamed of yourself. Anyway. Anyway.
Starting point is 02:06:09 That's nuts. When did that start? How are we feeling? How are we feeling about Atlanta, Milwaukee? I think Milwaukee's going to win that. Phoenix versus Paul George and Reggie Jackson. I think that Phoenix bucks. Don't do that.
Starting point is 02:06:22 Me too. Me too. The end. I still want to see Hawks Phoenix Milwaukee and I'm not rushing to my TV either
Starting point is 02:06:30 if I'm busy that night then I ain't watching it you will be damned I'll watch it too if I'm available
Starting point is 02:06:36 but if you think I'm rushing to my living room to see Chris Middleton in them I'm not I ain't
Starting point is 02:06:44 I want Chris Paul to win. If he gets a ring, awesome. If Devin Booker gets a ring, awesome. But, no, the Bucks can wait. They can wait. They ain't got to get one right now. Atlanta. I'll watch it if I'm free.
Starting point is 02:06:59 You'll watch Atlanta Phoenix. I'm locked in. You'll watch Atlanta Phoenix. No, I'll go to Atlanta or Phoenix. I will I will physically be there at one of those games but Milwaukee

I guess time will reveal I'm shining my diamonds, it's blinding them ill I remind them it's level since I'm in the deal But it's secret, so I keep it, I gotta conceal I ain't giving out speeches, I'm keeping it true Gotta watch out for leeches, young blood till it spill

And while we're appreciating women during Pride Month, if you just watch some of these clips of Simone Biles. Am I saying her name right? Fam. She's not the playboy.
