Starting point is 00:00:00 uh oh Mike Mike uh oh uh oh on Wednesdays this is how I know there might be some truth to the narcissist rumors that they say about me that you say about you some truth
Starting point is 00:00:16 I don't say those things the intro every podcast your narcissistic coast such a grave mistake people continue to make taking my on-air antics and theatrics as real-life core values. That's true.
Starting point is 00:00:31 They do that to all of us. The jokes on the pod become real life. No, you're talking about your life. No, I'm not. I'm joking. You know what happens with that? I've seen it time and time again. Those words, do you subscribe to that whole words have power spelling are spells do you subscribe to that what what i've seen happen
Starting point is 00:00:53 time and time again with that and we'll move on i don't have this on the docket are it it always starts out as jokes right you can build a career off of fake jokes yeah but if the jokes are no longer fake and they have impact on you then it's different so like if we play around with ish for the next eight months about building houses and the fans think that's cool and it's a joke and they start joking cool if eight months later it start feeling away and building shaky foundations out here and houses start falling down, then yeah, we got a real life problem. But if the jokes can be jokes, then great. It's rare.
Starting point is 00:01:36 I don't know why where that rant was. Oh, no, you're saying there's some truth to narcissism. Oh, yeah. No, I just miss hearing me on Wednesdays. That's it. On Wednesdays, it's like when the weekend come, I sit back and watch what everybody doing and saying, it's like, oh, all right, let me come back.
Starting point is 00:01:57 Presence is needed. I'll be waiting for somebody. Never mind, man. This is what I'm shocked to learn. And maybe not so shocked. Parks is a defender of anchovies. I am. Well, yeah, I am.
Starting point is 00:02:13 We were talking about getting pizza out, making a joke to Ish, saying he's old enough to want to order anchovies on the pizza. Parks chimed in, in some black business, and said, Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, niggas.
Starting point is 00:02:27 You get a hard rap. It's all because of Ninja Turtles, too. No, it's because they're not good. Hey, fam, I'm about to go a long way back. Y'all never seen the movie? Oh, my God. Cooley Ha? What I'm talking about?
Starting point is 00:02:43 The Color Purple one. Cornbread Earl and me? No, yo. Gold with the Wind. Shaft. It was this white movie, right? Gold with the Wind. Citizen Kane.
Starting point is 00:02:51 Oh, you've been watching white movies. Oh, this started at an early age for you. Back in the 60s. Yeah. Dog. They was running a call service out the pizza shop. And you had to call and get extra anchovies. You never seen that movie?
Starting point is 00:03:10 It's Pizzagate. I think you're describing it. No, asshole. And no. Even if I did see the movie, your description is not recollecting anything for me. Yo, it was a movie. They ordered pizza. No, yeah, no.
Starting point is 00:03:24 Sorry. Sorry. It's not ringing a bell. I think it was called L movie. They ordered pizza. Nah, I think it was a lot. No, yeah, no. Sorry. Sorry. It's not ringing a bell. I think it was called Lover. Let me look. Siskel and Ebert's job was secure with you around. Anchovies have some valid culinary purposes. Caesar salads being the most notable.
Starting point is 00:03:41 Caesar salad dressing, yeah. Real Caesar salad dressing has anchovies in it. And that's what makes it good I didn't even know what culinary was until all the girls were going to that school like why they all go in there
Starting point is 00:03:53 but Parks might have a point Parks is into all that culinary chefy shit he told me to eat anchovies and Caesar salad it should be there you probably had it all the good Caesar salads you've ever had in your life had anchovies in Caesar salad. Yeah, no. It should be there. You probably had it.
Starting point is 00:04:06 All the good Caesar salads you've ever had in your life had anchovies in them. I had the bad ones. Yeah, we had the one from Friday's. The watery dressing on it? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Gross.
Starting point is 00:04:15 Yeah, I'm on the hood. We didn't even have anchovies. We had sardines. We had sardines. We didn't have anchovies. As simple as Caesar salad is, why is it so easy for them to fuck it up?
Starting point is 00:04:25 That's a valid question. Maybe using shitty dressing. Because they don't put anchovies. As simple as Caesar salad is, why is it so easy for them to fuck it up? That's a valid question. Maybe using shitty dressing. Because they don't put anchovies in it. It's letters and dressing. It's supposed to be more. But again, the hood, the niggas just, man, you get the cheap shit. The hood should be all right, though. I know when I'm in the right spot, when they be like, would you like some pepper?
Starting point is 00:04:42 Yeah, nigga, I love pepper. I want pepper on everything. I'm in the right spot, when they be like, would you like some pepper? Yeah, nigga, I love pepper. I want pepper on everything. I'm a pepper addict. I went to one of them expensive joints and had a Caesar salad, and I was ready to fight. When they bring you the whole- The whole lettuce? Oh, yeah. I don't like that shit.
Starting point is 00:04:54 I didn't know that, though. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Don't do that shit. So I was like, yo, let me get a shrimp Caesar salad. He bring a whole fucking art, whatever. Have you been tripping on the side of- Yeah, it was a trip. I said, what the fuck is this?
Starting point is 00:05:02 Yeah. Nah, you got to cut it up. I don't know. They did all that at the Marriott? What, the Marriott, nigga? Oh, you know, I used to be going to all the Marriotts. What the fuck? Can we go somewhere classy now? What are you talking about?
Starting point is 00:05:19 Wear your Sunday best. Oh, wait. Hey. Oh, wait. Tell them about y'all Montego Bay fight. Oh. Yo. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:05:30 I said don't go. I said it's hood. No, I didn't say it's hood. I said. You really want to say what you said? You don't want to say what you said. I said. You said what?
Starting point is 00:05:40 I said that's what all the niggas want. I remove you. Let me just get some music queued up just in case we got to keep this ball rolling. Yo, this nigga said, yo, that's where all the niggas go. I removed you. I'm just getting some music queued up just in case we got to keep this ball rolling. Yo, this nigga said, yo, that's where all the niggas go. And I said, nah, that's not true. No, that is true. So you're going to turn around and say it's the parks. All right.
Starting point is 00:05:57 I got it. Don't worry about it. Mic check. Mic check. We here, though. Shout out to the niggas still bad. What's good? Oh, maybe that's what happened to Ish.
Starting point is 00:06:14 Maybe the gad is tucked. So cool. I'm asking a question. All right, man. No. Niggas seen Ish. Niggas seen. Everybody's. All right, man. Yo, nigga seen Ish. Nigga seen Ish. Everybody seen Ish. Oh, wait.
Starting point is 00:06:28 Yo, I'm going to get fired from a pod. From your pod? Yes. Yo, dude seen Ish. We just seen Ish four days ago. Right. Five the most tops. Sure.
Starting point is 00:06:40 And he put on a little weight. Fucking nutcase, yo. He came in strutting away. He just got a shit. Thicker than usual. So Corey, my man, says, damn. That's why men are horrible. Damn it.
Starting point is 00:06:56 You big as hell. All of a sudden. Wait. But trust me, I know how to raise a gun. But niggas that think I'm strong. So then I got to looking at his body And he was a little He's eating good, man God bless him

Starting point is 00:08:25 I don't like that at all. All right. All right. Y'all mean let me get my old head back right quick. It's still summertime. That was a hard, weird transition, right? Listen, man What you want me to do, Ish?
Starting point is 00:08:51 What you want me to do? Summertime is moving fast Time is moving at light speed, light speed And every morning I talk to my mom She says it don't move no slower For the rest of life It's depressing every time she says it You start to thank God For the days that feel like they're moving slow

Starting point is 00:10:23 That is on vacation. And all the broads. And the broads. Shout out to everybody that's traveling, man. Parks is absolutely right. It does feel like a shutdown is coming soon. Yeah. If I'm getting in my conspiracy theorist bag,
Starting point is 00:10:39 it feels like that might have been a plan all along. They're about to Delta variant us to death. Power words. Careful. Nah. It's coming. Somebody said Justin LaVoy was the Delta variant of academics. And both of them is my niggas.
Starting point is 00:10:59 But that was funny. That was funny. I don't think they shut down again, though. No, they definitely shut down again. I don't think so. They're going to shut certain shit down. Wait, let me intro this, and then let's fight about it. What episode is this?
Starting point is 00:11:09 458. Shout out to, what am I shouting out? Welcome to episode 458 of the Joe Budden Podcast. He is I, and I am him. Here with a few really good people. Parks is here. Ish is here. Ice is here.

Starting point is 00:11:40 And vaccines And Yeah I don't think We're starting with A super spreader event Yeah Super super spreader event super super spreader super max max

Starting point is 00:12:30 Wait Say that again Ish we were making a joke Ugh In context With the It's a joke for me too I said ugh
Starting point is 00:12:40 Just that rolling loud Tongue kiss Some random motherfuckers That's that white The liquor killer You don't drink That's that white shit You don't drink Molly I said, ugh. Just that rolling loud tongue kissing random motherfuckers. That's that white shit. The liquor killer. You don't drink. That's that white shit. You don't drink.
Starting point is 00:12:48 You don't drink. You don't drink. You don't drink. You don't drink. You don't smoke. You don't do pills. You don't do anything but build houses. You don't do shit.
Starting point is 00:12:56 I ain't just out there tongue kissing randoms. Live life, man. You don't do it on purpose. No, I fucked some randoms. I'm not tongue kissing the randoms. Well, what is the difference, Ish? I wearoms you're turning us mad i wear condoms joe you don't my fucking you're fucking me different i'm just saying i'm just saying it's different though coming out shooting i like it i like it
Starting point is 00:13:24 and i'm just giving my guy the difference you be fucking without tongue kissing no no no no no no no fast forwarding over this bullshit that he's sitting here saying ish the reason that i don't use condoms and you do is because i'm relationship based i'm typically trying to build with the person i'm intimate with you have been used to spreading your nasty cock around the irvington streets for the last however many years so you better you come you you come from putting two three of them on yo you want to be max protected all prisons ain't protected the same. I got traffic tickets. You was a murderer.
Starting point is 00:14:09 23 and a half hour lockdown for you. Now stop shooting at me early on this spot. I don't want beef. I don't want none either. I was commenting on my guy Parks talk about he be tongue kissing at the Rolling Loud. Jesus. Festivals are the place for tongue kissing.
Starting point is 00:14:24 Yes, Ish. It does happen. Relate at the Rolling Loud. Jesus. Festivals are the place for tongue kissing. Yes, Ish. It does happen. Relate to the young people. At festivals, you kiss strangers. You put a couple substances in the body. The music's loud. The lights are purple. The vibes.
Starting point is 00:14:33 Not a young people thing. The girls are pretty. They're wearing sundresses and weird things in their hair. So you're beyond kissing strangers now? Now? I'm asking. Take yourself out of relationship, Ish. No, I'm not.
Starting point is 00:14:43 I'm talking about single-ish. I wasn't a fan of just kissing random girls. You know what that's not. All right, time out. No, no, no, no, no. He don't drink. He don't indulge. He don't know.
Starting point is 00:14:54 This is what I noticed. I ain't even hit the drops. Hold up. Ish, Ish, I know this is what you be doing now. I know this is what you be doing now. I know this is what you be doing now. Nope, I figured it out. It's my job to observe patterns.
Starting point is 00:15:08 It's my job to observe patterns. When we have a super young topic, a super below... This is not a young topic. When you were young, you didn't tongue kiss? Strangers? Fuck no.
Starting point is 00:15:23 Oh, that's all I did in my fucking 20s. Man, we are not asking about, this is not French kissing protocol class at the front of this podcast. Yes, it is. We're talking about rolling loud and kissing strangers at festivals. It's just trying to be mature right now. I'm not. Fuck that.
Starting point is 00:15:38 I'm cracking a joke. You niggas running around. Especially when we're rolling loud. Yes, we kiss strangers. We're rolling on the loud. Yes. I'm good. And, we get strangers. We're rolling on the loud. Yes. I'm good. And you're judging us, boy.
Starting point is 00:15:48 We're rolling or we're smoking loud. You're judging. Oh, please. I fuck too many escorts with him. Joe, you have to fuck too many. You're just going to fuck about four escorts with me. Let's talk. That is a goddamn way.
Starting point is 00:15:59 Way. Way. Way. Where does the number need to be? Five is too many. Five is too many, though. And that's how you know. This is the past we're talking about.
Starting point is 00:16:09 This is the past. He said too many. Yo, he said four. Wow. You know how many years we've known each other? Yo, you a crazy. Oh, man. Can I talk about Rolling Loud, please?
Starting point is 00:16:19 Please. And Kissing Strangers at a festival high on pills and perks and everything else. Listening to your favorite Post Malone, Uzi Da Baby, Everybody record. Yeah. I'm kissing. Yeah, no, that's happening. Everyone. I'm kissing friend groups.
Starting point is 00:16:36 Yeah, hell yeah. Fuck is you talking about? Turn it left, kissing. Turn it right, kissing. Turn around, kissing. Kissing niggas. It's free love. You on your own?
Starting point is 00:16:48 Look, look, look, look, look, look, look. Hey, look, look, look. Oh, my God. You got it. I'm eating pizza. You got it, Playboy. You ain't on your own, but you got it. Okay, back to Ish.
Starting point is 00:16:58 Can we talk about Rolling Loud without talking about how you feel about people that kiss strangers at festivals? No, you said it. Yeah, let us get this off real quick pardon me my bad jump in when we get to what the earth is doing with land yeah tell us about that when we get to the history channel shit you chime right in kill that shit out the park aaron judge all right uh so rolling lab was this weekend it was that's all i got for you because this is way out of my range. I stay far away from it, but this looks beautiful. I kind of want to go to the one in Queens, but I don't know. Really?
Starting point is 00:17:33 Yeah, me too. I'm going to go. I really want to go. There's some acts on there that I want to see. Yeah, I'm going to go. If you went, where would you go? Where would you be stationed? Somewhere on the outside.
Starting point is 00:17:41 I wouldn't go to the thick of the crowd. I'm not pulling up to the front of the stage shit. If I go, I'm going to be backstage. Would you be backstage? Yes. I mean, potentially, if I know any artists on there,. I wouldn't go to the thick of the crowd. I'm not pulling up to the front of the stage shit. If I go, I'm doing it. Would you be backstage? Yes. I mean, potentially, if I know any artists on there, which I probably do. Me. I'm not doing the crowd.
Starting point is 00:17:52 I'm cool. I'll stand back by the bar and watch the crowd. I like people watching. I'd go to the festival and be in amongst. Okay. Yeah, it's fun. Cool. Shout out to everybody that actually attended.
Starting point is 00:18:03 I hear Miami was a mess. I'm sure it was crazy. Yeah, it was a. Cool. Shout out to everybody that actually attended. I hear Miami was a mess. I'm sure it was crazy. Yeah, it was a lot of people out there. But boy, did they have every act that would have needed to be present. Yeah. I didn't watch any of the stream. I wish I would have. Me either.
Starting point is 00:18:17 But every time I saw a clip, it was a huge artist giving what appeared to be the performance of their lifetime. Yeah. And as i was seeing the clips i'm like you know what i need i need a rolling loud doc okay i mean like how it got from where it started here to see what goes into it or what where they well as i'm watching the woodstock 99 doc i'm just like rolling loud seems to be the festival of the it festival of the culture right this second of the moment uh outside of coachella of course uh but rolling loud seems to have that demo these
Starting point is 00:18:52 young kids all the little queens 50 and j cole and travis that's enough that's all i need that sounds ridiculous that's all i need can i stream that from home of course i can probably so right especially now with all of this yeah if i could watch it from home i may watch it from home but yeah to see where how rolling loud started uh how they pieced it together at in the beginning building it to where it is now all of the big artists that they book getting these deals done seeing the backstage camaraderie uh fighting off the police or paying the police you know there's just such a story of culture to be told if we're gonna follow rolling loud so for the people that like me who may not be familiar with every artist on rolling loud because they have a lot of younger acts that
Starting point is 00:19:36 i just don't know about they got a lot of acts that you do know though that's true yeah and you're a music guy you're a music guy you know I'm saying? So even some of the new artists, you might have been up on them prior to them being introduced at Rolling Loud. I just like that the newer acts have so many outlets and places. The NPR, Tiny Desk, the Colors thing, the fucking places you go to freestyle, the festivals. Like, if I were still recording, like I saw Griselda tweet, yo, whole Griselda was on stage at Rolling Loud. And when they said that, I felt the pride that they were saying it with. And the crowd knew the words from the little snippets of that scene.
Starting point is 00:20:15 I don't care if they don't know the words. That matters. When you're at a festival, if they know all your shit, it hits a lot different than when you're up there just rapping to the crowd. But just having your whole crew on that stage yeah is a stat yeah we all was there and it's an additional stat when they know all your shit word that gotta be some shit my nigga hell yeah what seeing a hundred thousand people rap all your shit or seeing two hundred thousand motherfuckers a hundred thousand motherfuckers just mouth all of your shit.
Starting point is 00:20:45 Yeah. That got to make you feel some type of way. I ain't going to hold you. I understand Parks' point, but I don't want to diminish the people that hit this stage where the crowd doesn't know their word. No, I feel you. Because that's an accomplishment for them. Sure. Like, people keep shitting on Coiley Ray because she's performing places and anybody's not going ham.
Starting point is 00:21:05 Fam, I know all we get is the Instagram clips of artists recording the entire stadium singing their shit word for word. But you had to build towards that. You had to get there. That's right. That didn't happen overnight. And they're not all showing you the steps along the way as they built. So I appreciate the people like Coily Ray. It was some other younger artists
Starting point is 00:21:25 here that they just turned the fuck up out there what i like about her and her shows every time i see it don't matter how big or small that crowd is she going up she's she's treating that shit like i'm headlining the grammys but again and i'm giving it to you yeah nigga three years ago don't do that yeah three years ago it might you know i'm saying like you gotta thank god where you are dog that's real of course and look and if you ever needed to know the fucking twisted pendulum that the world just goes on is is you can look at coily ray uh coily ray right i'm saying right you can look at coily ray going through the same fucking body problems with fans that lizzo went through every last one yeah i fuck with her i do i support her but i fuck with all these kids the younger the younger like it's just great to see right it's great to see as a as a as somebody from a different generation it just feels like
Starting point is 00:22:17 the job was done everybody turned up i was real impressed with the baby stage dive there were a few stage dives that i looked at and I was impressed by. Again, I'm talking about MC shit. I went my whole career damn near avoiding a stage dive and I didn't perform in front of stages this big, crowds this big.
Starting point is 00:22:34 And when we did, that shit is far. Like, when we did it, we were on tour with Emin. It was stadium shit. Same with Summer Jam. That motherfucker just be 20 feet away, like,
Starting point is 00:22:43 and way below you. So when I watched Da baby do it i watched it a million times just to see how far it was he's in real good shape i was watching these clips for everything but what people should be watching for the baby is in phenomenal shape and that makes sense as to why his stage show goes goes up the way that it does how much energy goes into this i'm telling you this because as a performer that shit takes your energy hell yeah it takes your breath just being able to he'll give you an hour set and and don't stop like he come out on 10 and just stay on 10
Starting point is 00:23:15 being able to do that you have to be in some kind of shape bro jumping from the stage to that crowd it's a long jump like a physical long jump, and you're just bold as fuck. Look at this, yeah. That shit is going to hurt. Them hands is going to hurt when you land on them shits. But there was a lot of stage diving, Uzi show I saw,
Starting point is 00:23:35 everybody's show I saw, it looked like they just take this to be really serious. Nah, let's don't. They don't sleep on this rolling loud thing. And it also feels like if you don't make this bill,
Starting point is 00:23:46 then your peers might acknowledge you differently. Yeah, unfortunately. And partner that with the fact that Nick has been in the house for a year and a half. Yeah. This is a coming out party. You know what I'm saying? So if you're a real performer, you're a real artist, you're happy as hell to be on that stage with all of your other peers
Starting point is 00:24:04 and just giving it up now for a few weeks i wanted to come in here and say that i'm gonna hit the round of applause button for all of the podcasters and artists musicians that are out there on the road traveling and touring again right i was gonna come in here and say i've gotten a few of these touring offers really really really nice offers and i remember why it's hard to turn down tour money tour money if you don't know anything about it boy when it comes it's just like christmas yeah i miss that shit it's just like extra ancillary money at the right time times whatever it is
Starting point is 00:24:49 for a few nights of work for a few weeks and you get to travel and see some people and fucking connect with the fans it's all love everything about touring is love
Starting point is 00:24:58 traveling you learning about the hotels in different cities the women in different cities the nightlife cool spots in the different cities. Yeah, it's food. Cool fan.
Starting point is 00:25:07 The food. Yeah. Every time I went on tour with y'all, that's all we looked for. Yo, where is the food? Who got the food? But it is your job to put on a show every night. That's right. That too.
Starting point is 00:25:16 It's work. It is a lot of work. Don't you get it confused. It's exhausting. Now. For sure. I hate touring. Big crowds.
Starting point is 00:25:22 I don't want to tour. I don't want to tour. Why? You know I don't want to tour. I know. tour. Why? You know I don't want to tour. I know. You know you might not see a tour. But the podcast tour would be fun. It's not like how it was when we was in the Sprinter driving from literally here to across the country.
Starting point is 00:25:32 Fun. I bodied that drive, by the way. You did. You did. Good. Yeah. I'm glad that it's fun. Why do you hate it?
Starting point is 00:25:39 Where's the button? I'm glad it's fun for you and all the parties that participate that it's fun for. Why do I hate it? Why I hate being away from home as I've gotten older. Me too. But it usually just be like a night or two. The way we was doing it. No, sir.
Starting point is 00:25:55 See, even that was a luxury. Wow, man. There's so much I got to talk about right here. You know how much of privilege that was that we toured weekend style like that? I know. it was beautiful. That's all I'm saying is that the podcast tour is much more fun than, I mean, there was fun in driving in a Tahoe across the country, but that shit was rough at the same time.
Starting point is 00:26:15 Anytime you are away from home, that you're away from home for a few weeks at a time, there's going to have to be an adjustment period. And everybody doesn't adjust the same. And for me, when I was rapping and I had to go on the road and do what, to me, made it worthwhile for the fans,
Starting point is 00:26:32 which is a two, two and a half hour show every night or every other night as a smoker with no hype man and polyps on his vocal cords. Yeah, that was wrong. You pick up bad eating habits along the way. You're dealing with bad drugs, bad pills. You're just not in your comfort zone.
Starting point is 00:26:49 Me and EZ were your hype man in the later part of your career, and that shit is exhausting. I wasn't rapping as much as you were, but I understand the physical toll it takes on your body. So it just takes a lot. Now you're talking about podcasting. And then you're talking about Joe, not to cut you off, you're talking about him rapping.
Starting point is 00:27:03 72 Bar Versus. With no hook. Yeah, killing myself out there. Fuck that. So now you're talking about Joe, not to cut you off. You're talking about him rapping. 72-bar verses. With no hook. Yeah. Killing myself out there. Fuck that. So now you're talking about podcasting. You sit down and you got to do what? Talk.
Starting point is 00:27:12 Talk. Talk. Sound simple. It is. Doesn't that sound simple? It is, but it isn't. Nah. Oh, that sounds like the scariest thing in the world.
Starting point is 00:27:20 I don't think it's simple. It beats yelling over music, though. That's what I'm saying. I think so. It's simpler than yelling. I think so. That's all I'm saying. I'm just comparing the two. Listen think so. It's more than yelling. I think so. That's all I'm saying. I'm just comparing the two.
Starting point is 00:27:27 Listen, get your tour money while you can. I agree with Ice. I do think they're going to shut that down at some point and we're going to have to deal with the rules
Starting point is 00:27:33 and regulations of the different states. I think so too. And we're going to hope that they have to be harmonious. I saw an interesting stat. I don't know if I need to read it now
Starting point is 00:27:40 that last year or this year, one of the years, I'll pull it up, was the first year ever that there were more uh more people dead than were born oh wow word really and the impact that that could have on the u.s if that continues damn that's nuts that is nuts i didn't know that that's dark i do want to touch upon you can look you can look at that yeah i just want to touch
Starting point is 00:28:04 upon uh you said like artists might look at my stat yeah I just want to touch upon you said like artists might look at artists that didn't make the Rolling Loud bills with some kind of funniness I don't think that they should because
Starting point is 00:28:12 it's a lot of politics and that shit like if you connected to a a rock nation or someone like that you're probably gonna get on the bill and if you're not
Starting point is 00:28:19 you're completely independent you're just thugging it out doing your thing you probably are not gonna get on the bill so you can't throw shade at someone for not unless you're fan base and You're just thugging it out, doing your thing. You probably are not going to get on the bill. So you can't throw shade at someone for not. Unless you're a fan base and you're just out here busting your ass.
Starting point is 00:28:30 For sure. I.E. Griselda. Griselda. But I think they're a rock nation. They're a rock nation. Yeah. But they busted their ass to get there. Not to take anything away from you.
Starting point is 00:28:39 They bust their ass. Yeah. No question. Nah, that's a testament in itself. And if you didn't make it use it as motivation work harder yo alright bet
Starting point is 00:28:47 next year I'm going twice as hard work harder and there's other festivals that they'd be on right you know what I'm saying festivals is bad yo hard work is underrated
Starting point is 00:28:55 yeah it is it's cliche no you talking now you just go ahead nah it is like I'm not even gonna hold you like even with the pot
Starting point is 00:29:03 you got a different work ethic. Yeah, that's a fact. That's dope. Yeah. Congratulations. Since Joe was a rapper. Fam, why you always. Yo, you.
Starting point is 00:29:13 Look, look. This nigga be like, yo, you can't compliment Black Man Boy. I don't know when you joking. Even when he was a rapper. I'm both. But again. But why are you saying that? Like, you know me.
Starting point is 00:29:22 I don't. So, I'm listening with audience ears. Niggas has given niggas five and six days of content a week. Long form. Long, long form. I be seeing, like, very short. And these niggas be hot. Yo, it's only an hour and 20 minutes.
Starting point is 00:29:35 Nigga, you know what the fuck? You know what it's like to sit and talk that. That was Joe even when he was rapping. Like, he would constantly be rapping. Five days a week, nigga. Like, you getting some shit. five days a week nigga like you getting some shit five days a week yeah but even like between albums you'd still you'd be doing slaughterhouse or you'd be doing some random freestyles or working on the next album like you always been a uh industrious i think that's a little different again i don't understand the
Starting point is 00:29:59 people that don't right what not the people that don't That don't have the same work ethic But the people who just Lack in that area Like adult people That lack in work ethic Yeah They might have never had to work Like nah When we talk
Starting point is 00:30:14 I know everybody likes to talk about It being a judgment free zone And we don't stereotype people But that's the best way To get me to judge you Complacency See how hard you work To just
Starting point is 00:30:23 If you don't have no work ethic at all. Complacency. I can't imagine. It could be a person you never had to. And the thing about it is you might not recognize it. You might not even see it. I've been in relationships where I leave out the house in the morning and when I get back, you in the same fucking spot? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:30:41 What happens? Everything in this house is in the same exact spot there's still dishes in the dishwasher hey and guess what you're not a maid so you don't have to wash the dishes right but everything should not be exactly the same in a span of nine hours no nigga that is gonna drive me crazy here you should want to wash the dishes you don't have to you should want i don't give a dog y'all crack on me for going to school i don't see how people just don't read word like that baffles me like how the fuck do you wake up on a day-to-day basis and not try to consume or put nothing educational or or or useful in your brain
Starting point is 00:31:18 because people are out here trying to problem solve and troubleshoot only with the information they have and they refuse to think further. But to think further you have to think further. Also, in the world of creativity shit people think that
Starting point is 00:31:31 there's like magic bullets or maybe they get down on themselves because something didn't work and they use that as an excuse to not work hard. I don't even know
Starting point is 00:31:39 about that space. I'm just talking about in an average Joe Schmo space, right? I don't, and then, but I think In this culture We can blame people
Starting point is 00:31:48 So I don't want to Jump in that bag But We look at everybody else And we blame these Groups of people Or we blame this thing On why we not successful
Starting point is 00:31:56 Right And me and Corey Have had these conversations Like I don't see I don't blame nobody For my success Same Like I'ma get it You can't stop me from getting i'm
Starting point is 00:32:06 gonna fuck who you are you can't stop me from getting it i'm gonna triple my worth i don't understand that niggas immediately will yo this ain't work because blah blah blah i ain't want it to work right no nigga try something different right right when i go to the bank and they tell me y'all we can't do that i'll be like what my brain kicking like yo how do i circumvent whatever the fuck i don't know yeah no no no no way around i like no's because now i get in my bag like yeah no now so i don't understand that i don't understand i don't understand even like girls i've dated i don't understand how you could just not have no inspiration to do nothing better like that shit is crazy to me you don't want a promotion especially once you don't want to learn you're talking that shit right now especially
Starting point is 00:32:51 as you continue to learn the world right and learn what it takes to attain certain things like when you come become a little more knowledgeable uh let me try to fucking uh think of an example. In the hood back in the day, and this is a bad example, so you give yours right after I'm done. But in the hood back in the day, I lived by a park. It was beautiful. I used to travel to the bad neighborhood.
Starting point is 00:33:19 Like, think about it. I left home by the park to go up the street to the bad neighborhood and that's where i saw niggas and the head nigga looked like the head nigga and what i said to myself was hey who's that how'd he do that how'd he do that well what's he doing oh well could i do that like it's math that you do in your head to just figure out what's what. I think that happens all the time. Now, back to your example, which is probably better than mine. No, I was going to use you.
Starting point is 00:33:51 Oh. Right? I've known you for some time. Everybody here has known you for some time. Right? So your level that you are currently, it took work to get there. Like, I've seen you before that. We riding around a little dusty
Starting point is 00:34:06 ass es right no seriously like dog so it's a 93 ford escort turquoise hatchback nigga with the bitches with a jar with the ladies that's a joke so again um again Let's just say In the last five years I'm sure When you started to Be tangled up with Puff Like you've known Puff forever But when you started to now Conduct business with Puff
Starting point is 00:34:35 That's some other shit To see a nigga like that Right Up close See how hard they work See how they brain Processes information all the other yo that's some shit so for me i look at people i'm like yo you right how the fuck are you not
Starting point is 00:34:51 inspired by certain shit or being around certain people like how the fuck do you just sit in this room that shit is crazy you have to be around they're gonna kill me but you have to be around greatness to get a different understanding of greatness but it doesn't you have to be around greatness to get a different understanding of greatness but it doesn't necessarily have to be puff like growing up my sister owned restaurants she would kill me she would kill me about like yo you're just sitting around this you can polish the glasses you can organize the things you know i'm saying and at first it drove me crazy but she's like nah you got to get out here and get to it like take it off puff any area of life yeah colby good ass all-star nba motherfucker said they never see nobody work like
Starting point is 00:35:28 that oh yeah no doubt like motherfuckers that's nice it's like yo he different jerry rice different like again i don't understand how you just don't take somebody and allow them to motivate you whether it's a good motivation or bad motivation i like How the fuck do you not use that? I like the example of puff only because it's culture. And because it's culture, a lot of people, it's easy to mistake it, right? So, for instance, I'll come in here and I'll say something about puff. And I'll speak to, I'll treat it with grace. And an audience will say, Joe Budden, shut the fuck up. You can't talk about puff.
Starting point is 00:36:03 You dick riding. You whatever, whatever, whatever. You don't want to say that to your man. will say joe button shut the fuck up you can't talk about puff you dick riding you you whatever whatever whatever you don't want to say that's your man yeah and i understand where that comes from but when you've been around greatness right let me tell you what my brain says anytime i've ever been around puff the first thing is yo i can't figure out when he sleeps that's the first thing so start there deal with that when does the person go to sleep the next question that's already successful yeah oh shit this nigga still works harder than everybody oh shit he's still tapped in with everybody he needs that energy still i was just talking about that. It's energy. He get energy from everywhere.
Starting point is 00:36:46 That is a nonstop process when you have to pull and push energy nonstop. All day. He be home with the whole industry at his house. He just had a party last night. He's been Mr. Party Man, allegedly, for most of their lives. 30 years. It's kids out there watching that was born to some of this shit. Right.
Starting point is 00:37:09 No, that's real. Like, you just have a different appreciation. And I'm blessed in a different form. We'll move on and get back to Ron Lau. But my perspective is unique because I've seen Puff do that. I've seen Hov do that. I've seen Em do that. I've seen Steve Stout do that.
Starting point is 00:37:23 I've seen fucking Andre Harrell do that i've seen fucking andre harrell do it i've just seen some of these minds that it's like oh shit but my point was that even in regular life like i'm sure people could probably look at you in the way that you run your business and learn shit about hard work you know i'm saying you don't have to look at puffs and kobe's and all these amazing people i use puffs there are people like my sister and you yeah that fucking bust a ass to run regular. I like issues of me because I was a bum ass.
Starting point is 00:37:50 It was tough out there. You've always been a hard worker though. But again, you watching niggas ascension though. But it's easy to get discouraged. It comes from somewhere. Yo, you know how many times today
Starting point is 00:38:00 I see people that work hard but they're not seeing the results so they get discouraged and they eventually stop. Yeah. All the time. It's not just about the hard work.
Starting point is 00:38:08 Man comment. It's just not again I've watched my man shout out to my man my man was like 370. That nigga weighed 260 something pounds.
Starting point is 00:38:17 You know how hard that is yo? Like the level of consistency and dedication that go Joe's the heaviest I've ever been in my life. I don't know what you weigh right now.
Starting point is 00:38:27 230 something. But again. That ain't bad. But again, my man lost 100 and something pounds. It's just not a favorable 230. It's not? That ain't what they saying. Don't do that.
Starting point is 00:38:38 Day, nigga. There's a day? You already said that shit with his chest. Don't start your fucking. Don't start your shit, man. This nigga still got a they at his age. Go ahead. But nah, nah, nah.
Starting point is 00:38:50 Just any level of dedication and consistency. And that shit is hard, bro. And it needs to be commended. You see little niggas like Baby, DaBaby, and all that. That shit... Niggas think they just showed up there. No, niggas were... Niggas didn't show up there, bro.
Starting point is 00:39:04 They grinded. Niggas was passing out flyers and. No, niggas were. Niggas didn't show up there, bro. They asked, they grinded. Niggas was passing out flyers and stapling postcards to polls and shit. And recording. That shit don't come overnight. That shit is different, yo. So listen, the City Girls performed at Rolling Loud. Did they? I didn't see.
Starting point is 00:39:17 That I don't know. That probably was dope if they did. I think they performed at Rolling Loud, and I out they brought out Santana, right? Listen to this. The guitarist Santana. Not Jewel Santana. No. Santana?
Starting point is 00:39:34 Which Santana? Or Santana. Which Santana? It's not Santana. It's Mad Santana. Sing came out there. Did her reggae toe shit. Santana-ish oh my Jesus
Starting point is 00:39:47 yo ish ish I thought I thought I came up with our podcasting game plan which was when we do the music
Starting point is 00:39:56 talk to let me ice and Barks navigate us through we are not talking about Carlos Santana coming out with the City Girls. That would have been fly.
Starting point is 00:40:09 Yeah, that would have been fly. That would have been fly. Yo, that's dope. I don't even want to laugh at you, right? Because I was talking to the young homies. And the young homies said, Joe, do you know who Santana is? And I said the same thing he said. Yeah, like we're at school.
Starting point is 00:40:23 That's our shit. You hells? No, it was like Santana came out of the City Girls. And I said no, because that's out of my demo. Like, I'm old now, so I stay away from some of that type of stuff. But it's the same nigga that had to laugh at me for saying the same exact shit you said. Because I know who the person is. I don't know why they're famous or where the notoriety comes from.
Starting point is 00:40:41 I know who they're talking about. It's the gay gentleman. Oh. Right? But this is where it is. It's funny, and I'm moving on, because this ain't my bag. notoriety comes from i know who they're talking about it's the gay uh gay gentleman oh right but this is where this is funny and i'm moving on because i don't this ain't my bag but so they said uh that he's somebody's friend and he came out with the city girls to do a song and i said also he makes songs and they said yeah that song uh walk is. Now, I've heard that song. Walk. Walk. Walk.
Starting point is 00:41:06 Yeah, yeah, yeah. And then they said, do you know that it's a diss song to Rolling Ray? Now, I don't know Rolling Ray either, but I know he's in a wheelchair, and he makes a lot of Instagram videos. So then I saw somebody else say that. And now I'm asking y'all if the Walk song... That's out of bounds. Yo, if that is a diss song
Starting point is 00:41:31 to Rolling Raid and this is going up there with Boy George coming, coming, coming, coming, coming, chameleon being a diss to the drummer who he was fucking who had a family.
Starting point is 00:41:40 They've been beefing. So I... Yeah, I thought it was a diss song. Look, I was today years old. That's foul. That is your era, man.
Starting point is 00:41:48 You didn't know that? You can't make a dissonance about a handicapped person. Well, what did you think? What did you think? That was a dissonance? Come a,
Starting point is 00:41:55 come a, come a, come a chameleon. Um, you know what? No. Boy George was sleeping with his,
Starting point is 00:42:02 Boy George was gay. He was sleeping with his drummer. His drummer was gay too, but his drummer wouldn't come out the closet. His drummer had a whole family. So he put him on a hit song. So he kept telling Boy George he was going to leave the family or whatever,
Starting point is 00:42:16 and then he fucking didn't. I think he tried to dead Boy George or some shit. And now we got to play it. He snitched on a nigga, yo. Yeah, that's funny and I think and I think that's one of the greatest well somebody play it
Starting point is 00:42:30 I don't I don't know why you may hold why cause I know that that's a dissonant but anyway if Santana is disenrolling Ray for not being able to walk
Starting point is 00:42:38 this is going up there with fucking hit him up make a hit record about Walk? Yo, that's not right. That's fucked up. How come nobody said something about this sooner? It might not be big enough. Yo, we only care about people's mental health
Starting point is 00:42:55 when we like them. Y'all are making diss songs about somebody in a wheelchair? I'm going to call my man Higgity Ice. Hey. Yeah, turn this up for a little bit. Let me catch a vibe real quick. Let me talk to the drummer dude real quick. I'mma call my man Higgity Ice. Ayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy Hey, I know who I am Hey, let's go, boy George It comes and goes, that feeling
Starting point is 00:43:37 You know the feeling Let's go! Come and go, come and go, come and go Come and go, come and go The funny part is Are there drums on this record? They sound like some That's a program No soft drums
Starting point is 00:43:53 Nigga might not know Alright come on Turn this off Turn this off And some nice harmonica You know What do y'all think about DaBaby bringing
Starting point is 00:44:03 Tory Lanez out At Rolling Loud? That's messy shit, man. That's a mess. And playing the Meg song, the song with Meg right after. That's some messy shit. And it was right after she left the stage, wasn't it? And he said some inflammatory shit.
Starting point is 00:44:15 And he came on after Meg left the stage. All right, let's talk about the inflammatory shit that he said. What did he say? Do we have it? Do we know? Oh, that's gangster. Do we have what he said? I don't want to say do we have it do we know oh that's gangster do we have what he said i don't want to i don't want to repeat it i'm not gonna repeat it it was it was inflammatory towards uh homosexuals and yeah it was one of those call call action type
Starting point is 00:44:38 when they were like yo if you got more than $50 in your pocket you got more than $50 in your pocket make some noise but he just took far left and said some wild shit to get some screams from the crowd I thought I thought the the HIV
Starting point is 00:44:51 call and response thing was in really bad taste shout out to anybody out there who may be ill with AIDS or HIV
Starting point is 00:44:59 I know a lot of those people so I didn't take I didn't take kindly to that but the rest of it I mean I guess I get his take in what he said he said I wasn't lot of those people, so I didn't take kindly to that. But the rest of it, I mean, I guess I get his take in what he said. He said I wasn't talking to gay people. I got a lot of gay people to come to my shows.
Starting point is 00:45:11 It might have been pandering. But if I say, yo, shout out to everybody who didn't suck dick in the parking lot, I'm not talking about gays. That's true. That is true. I'm not. I'm just saying shout out to the people who didn't suck dick
Starting point is 00:45:26 you say something ridiculous and everybody makes noise at the show right that part I didn't think was and there are people sucking dick in the parking lot
Starting point is 00:45:34 and rolling loud oh absolutely and tongue kissing afterwards oh I get it now I understand so it's like yo anybody in here broke be quiet
Starting point is 00:45:46 yeah yeah you can't say that because that's insensitive to the brokies it's insensitive to the financial challenge but then he went on
Starting point is 00:45:54 he went on he said a few more things and a lot of people were offended and spoke up Amber Rose being one of them somebody I think
Starting point is 00:46:01 was that Tammy Roman no that wasn't Tammy but a lot of people spoke up and he ended up replying. Then T.I. chimes in with, hey, if Lil Nas X can do what the fuck he wants to do, then let freedom of speech ring loud for DaBaby. Then they tore him up.
Starting point is 00:46:14 And then he had to reply. So then I'm sitting there watching DaBaby and T.I. spend however much time replying to some shit that DaBaby had a reason. T.I. didn't really have nothing to do with it. He didn't have no reason to chime in. He didn't have to chime in to this at all.
Starting point is 00:46:29 And bring Lil Nas X into it. Why though? Why did T.I. chime in? Because that's what T.I. does. No, no, no. I was about to go to a place and get on my ice bag. I'm listening. I mean, now they're both applicable.
Starting point is 00:46:47 You talked about them dissing the dude in the wheelchair and ain't nobody say nothing right now ti coming to bat for somebody else and everybody's ripping them you could have just said that when i was all why would he sit it out why would he bring in little nas x See, that's the part I don't like. Little Nas X is a kid still. I know he's an adult, but that dude is a kid. And I don't think it's fair. I don't think it's fair that people keep...
Starting point is 00:47:14 That shit's a pop. People keep taking whatever angst they have toward the LGBTQ community and making him like the poster child for it. So we don't have to argue about ti's point freedom of speech see i can say what he want of course him including little nas x now in it who didn't do nothing but kiss some nigga on stage just like fam that's that's the part there's like i gotta i gotta keep everybody's mental health at the forefront of this and i
Starting point is 00:47:42 keep seeing people's mental health affected and they keep responding just differently via social media they respond via trolling they respond via jokes they respond via attacking people like i see a bunch of just acting out on social media i'll be looking at it thinking anybody fucked up yeah that's what it's yeah and while i'm home fucked up i'll be like oh oh, we all fucked up. Yes. Yes. My response is to not tweet. There's nothing I want to say to none of you niggas. Yeah. There's nothing I want to read.
Starting point is 00:48:12 Engagement down. Put it all down. Fuck everybody. That's the mode that I get in. But everybody's dealing with things differently. They're doing this shit a little differently, man.
Starting point is 00:48:20 Everybody not built to be able to just put the phone down and walk away. They can't do it like there's people that literally live for this just for the engagement part alone they speak out on shit that they don't know what's going on just for the engagement that's all this but i'm not gonna say that but a lot of times it seems to only be for engagement and clout like what
Starting point is 00:48:41 happened was ti said some shit right amber rose replied with what i would think her reply would be yo i fight for the rights of these people that's why i do my slut walk i didn't think that was right that you said xyz and i read that shit i said well yeah i anticipate amber rose feeling that way because i know amber rose's stance on this particular issue it's almost like the internet dancing circles and argues so much about some shit for years. We already know where everybody sit. Right. Y'all ain't doing nothing but rotating the same six fucking things to argue about in the first place.
Starting point is 00:49:17 Yeah. I know your stance on gays. I know how you feel about fucking police brutality. I know how you feel about fucking police brutality. I know how you feel about systemic oppression. I know how you feel about the rappers that are fucking perpetuating the lifestyle and killing each other and the murder rate and blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. When is somebody going to say something to Benjamin Crump? What? My brain.
Starting point is 00:49:46 That didn't have because cause I'm on that we'll put Benjamin Crump to the side we'll get to him
Starting point is 00:49:52 later but my point is we talk about the same shit every day I know how everyone already
Starting point is 00:49:58 feels about everything yet we just still chiming in about shit hey academics posting some shit he said hey Takashi and Wack 100 is talking.
Starting point is 00:50:07 I seen that shit and said, I know how both these niggas feel about everything. All everybody do is fucking turn the phone on and say how they feel about shit. I'd be thankful for that little couple of days break between the Saturday and Wednesday pod where I get to shut the fuck up. I do.
Starting point is 00:50:24 Although you did a couple of, well, you did, I saw your interview. It was the worst interview in the world. Shout out to Three Letter Man. Shout out to Three. It was the worst interview
Starting point is 00:50:30 in the world. You know why? Why? Because I'm no longer in interview space. Like, people have to respect, and I said it's there. I said self-awareness
Starting point is 00:50:40 means knowing where you are and knowing where the universe is. Every time I say that, people think I'm talking in fucking riddles. But I'm not. I'm not interview man anymore. Before, I used to wonder why execs wouldn't do interviews.
Starting point is 00:50:53 I don't anymore. I totally understand. Well, especially with you. I mean, we talk fucking 10 hours a week. I know where you stand. I know where you stand on everything. Listen, first of all, I have my own podcast. I'm going to come in here
Starting point is 00:51:06 and maybe tell you what I think sometimes. That's one. Two, when I really come in here and tell you what I think, people don't understand it. People don't know. I'm just talking to fucking...
Starting point is 00:51:15 Y'all are just... We might as well play Scissors, Paper, Rock. Or when I say something, people will get defended. Or when I say something, people are trying to weaponize it. Or when I...
Starting point is 00:51:24 You know when it's peace? When you don't say shit when you shut up yeah that's right ultimate silence and then when there's silence you know what they say joe what do you think about this joe come do an interview here hey joe come over here give us something back so we can give us give us give us anything yo i'm reading these fucking comments and some of these people that i appear to be down to it just dawned to me that they want to see me down more yes yes but they couldn't wait they couldn't wait for that what this no nothing's down it's them but but i didn't it didn't dawn on me that down might not even be enough. No. They want to see you finished.
Starting point is 00:52:07 Why are we like that? I don't know. They don't just want to see you down. I do want to see somebody keep spiraling. If you're going to start to spiral, nigga, just go ahead and finish. And you laughing at that. Well, not a serious life-threatening spiral. I don't know how i went off on that rant
Starting point is 00:52:25 but i liked it i'm not mad at it no that's good i'm not mad at none of it we know where everybody stands on all these issues like not for nothing in a week bussy's gonna come out and speak on this and i can word for word tell you what he's gonna say like you know you know where everybody stands so act as surprised anymore for what why won't we have shut the fuck up there none of y'all put out a pod none of y'all talk talk to your friends about going dutch on a date definitely don't tweet no tweeting just go dark just go dark everybody just go dark no uh go outside just go outside yo look what happened we almost stopped the functionality of the country just by lack of fucking. A stoppage of anything will fuck shit up.
Starting point is 00:53:08 Yeah. If all that's just not fucked for you, it will be fucked up. Yeah. You don't think how powerful that is? Forget it. Y'all can stop for a year. Forget it. Come on. What did y'all think of Tory Lanez coming out, man?
Starting point is 00:53:21 Give it to me. Come on. Because I'm turning it up as this podcast goes along. I have more questions for you that are mature questions, questions that maybe I am the worst deliverer of. Anybody got a take? Huh? Hello?
Starting point is 00:53:39 Hello? Park's playing with his beard. I don't want to see that shit. Park said it was messy. You don't want to see Tory Lanez come out on was messy. You don't want to see Tory Lance come out in the beard. They have a song together. I know.
Starting point is 00:53:46 I was going to say, they got a record together, man, look. Don't take this the wrong way. Uh-oh. I'm ready to take it the wrong way. It means it's going to be
Starting point is 00:53:53 taken the wrong way. Yeah, absolutely. Pretty much. Okay. Well, before you say that, can I just hear from Park why you don't want to hear that? You don't like the song?
Starting point is 00:54:00 I've never heard the song. Oh, you don't want to hear it, period. There's still too many questions for me, that's all. Okay, got it. I'm not interested. Okay, I'm with you on that. I haven't heard the record either.
Starting point is 00:54:12 I'm not looking to listen to anything Tory Lanez. And if he's finally listening, by the way, then... There are people out there who still fuck with Tory Lanez. He has industry relationships. Now, yes, some of them people may have stepped away. And they may I've seen commentary saying yo shit is looking there's some questions out there now there's been questions no no no there's
Starting point is 00:54:33 there's other questions out there now like now shit may look a little funny like it's not as clear cut as what we were led to believe so they may now walk back their takes like yo listen man i'm starting to believe you so yeah i'll fuck with you i'm still rocking with you not me i'm saying parks is still unclear on what you're saying about the incident about the incident
Starting point is 00:54:58 there are people that are saying hey look man all this time has passed. There's been nothing happening. We've seen countless rappers get locked up in all the evidence and everything. We're talking about over a year. There's Tory Lanez, Meg. I want to say this happened July 12th. Maybe, I don't know. July 12th, 2020. Y'all look it up, but it was July. It was July.
Starting point is 00:55:21 He got charged in, I believe it was October. October. And then you haven't heard anything. the only thing that's happened since was the lawyer there was something where he can't speak out about this and which he said as recently as two days ago uh and y'all fuck niggas that played me last year keep that energy the day i'm allowed to speak on the real fuckery that's been going on it's up he wants to say something i don't and there's people that's fucking with him that he may have said something to and it makes sense to them and they like you know what yes fucked up was what was happening to you it's fucked up and i'm still rocking with you. I still, let's go. No, it's crazy.
Starting point is 00:56:07 Again, real quick, hold up. Okay, my bad. I am not defending or any of that. We know. I just, but I have to tell them. I don't want to be chopping shit up and saying, you know. Got it. Now, the crazy part is,
Starting point is 00:56:19 we'll take the same issue, right? And depending on our emotional stance, we'll defend both sides. So if it's something about, let's take this, people killing people for fucking with him.
Starting point is 00:56:38 Right? Like, yo, he did X, Y, and Z. He has not been tried anywhere. Right. Right? Right. Now flip the circuit. Court of public opinion and and there you go so now if you fuck with him you're gonna get ostracized by people
Starting point is 00:56:54 like yo how did how dare you fuck with us right let it be your cousin your uncle your son your brother that they claim did some shit whether he did it or not it's not even in question your stance is yo he didn't go to trial y'all you get what i'm saying you would conveniently just take the other side of that and that's crazy no it's different though how i know my cousin i don't know tori lanes i know but you don't know the facts i would probably have a better no no no facts no yes yes i would have a better idea of the facts. No, no, no. Yes, yes, yes. I would have a better idea of the facts with someone I know personally. I'm not disagreeing. No, that's emotion.
Starting point is 00:57:30 No, it's fact. You wasn't there. You lived in Elmira. You still don't know the facts. You don't know what happened in Elmira. You might not know the facts. In any case, you don't know the facts. You may say, I believe I know this person.
Starting point is 00:57:40 That's not entirely true. And what there may have been. You're saying emotionally. Paul's just saying he's riding with his cousin. That's my cousin. No, I'm saying I know my cousin. I know people that know my cousin. I know people that probably
Starting point is 00:57:48 lived in the house right over there. I know the person that is accusing my cousin of X, Y, and Z. I have an idea. I don't know Tori Orme. I don't know what the fuck happened. I don't know what blockade was on in LA.
Starting point is 00:57:58 How many times have we seen something happen and then they interview the neighbors and oh my God, I've known him all these years. I never would have thought he's capable of this. I'm not saying,
Starting point is 00:58:06 I'm not blindly defending. I'm going off of facts. But you don't have the facts. You're not going off of facts. Yes, I am. You're going off of emotion. You don't know what happened. You said,
Starting point is 00:58:15 yo, I know my cousin going off of facts. I'm attacking him one at a time. I need to hear these points. I'm not attacking Parks at all. You're going off of emotion. If I know the person and I know the situation.
Starting point is 00:58:23 No, you didn't say that. You said, yo, I know the person and what they've been accused of. And so I know my cousin. I did say that. You said, I know my cousin. I don't know Tory Lanez. That's the difference.
Starting point is 00:58:33 I can get information about what happened to my cousin because I will know the people that were there. Possibly. But then you said, I don't have all the facts with Tory and Meg. Right. And then we said, well, yeah. So you're still taking a stance with no facts. Yeah. have all the facts with Tory and Meg. And then we said, well, yeah. So, why do you have such a... You're still taking a stance with no facts. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:58:49 I don't have a stance. I'm not a Tory Lanez fan. I'm not listening to his music until I find out the facts. I'm not losing it. That's your stance, though, Parks. That's a stance. That is a stance. I'm not accusing him of being guilty.
Starting point is 00:58:59 I just don't care. You said, I'm not listening to his music. I don't listen to his music anyway. Well, he don't listen anyway. That's not what he said. He didn't say that. He said I'm not listening to his music until I find out the facts. That's a stance.
Starting point is 00:59:11 That is a stance. Parks reserves that right. There are plenty of people out there that have that same stance about Tory Lanez. Which is their business. Correct. lanes which is their business and correct i at some point in this process like parks needed a whole lot more information before i was ready to be at peace with myself listening to tori lane's music right granted with that said the lack of information it's been over a year in the event that we find out that to Lanez did not shoot Megan Thee Stallion
Starting point is 00:59:48 and I know I am the last person that should be asking this question or maybe not in the event that Tory Lanez didn't do it does anybody owe him an apology the world I said I would apologize but that being said I still probably won't listen to his music because I don't listen to his music anyway
Starting point is 01:00:11 I don't want to shift focus to what music you listening to on such a grave issue okay listen to whatever you want okay I don't think I've publicly said anything bad about him so I don't know if I would apologize
Starting point is 01:00:23 granted now how do does anybody apologize to him I don't think I've publicly said anything bad about him, so I don't know if I would apologize. Granted. Now, does anybody apologize to him if that comes out? They probably won't. They won't. In your situation, in your scenario where the facts
Starting point is 01:00:38 come out and it did not go that way, he didn't shoot her, then yes, people owe him an apology. 100%. If that comes out and niggas because listen he's still waiting he's still waiting and he keep reminding us every few months hey i'm gonna get my day and the day is coming soon if that day actually comes and there's merit to what he is saying, and that's all I'll say today, somebody better say something to that man.
Starting point is 01:01:11 Spotify better put out the streaming companies that was shadow banning them, blocking them. The president of the women's association, whoever that is, I don't know who it is, but somebody should say something please don't take that as me defending tori lane i just have a brain and and unfortunately i've been in this spot so i know what some of the shit mean when it's
Starting point is 01:01:40 and when i was in this spot going to court for two three years in a row on it it meant something the fact that we at the year anniversary over a year and nobody is any more has any more information on this that should say something to people like if you spent the year saying fuck this nigga protect black women which of course and you can't shoot black women of course see all these things that it should be of course to and then you hear something like this first thing i said was that sounds odd it just has to be some type of something when you when you gain more information that's it and i don't have it and if he did it fuck him but if he didn't it got to be a little more than
Starting point is 01:02:24 everybody just going on about the regular course of their day. I agree. Because we've seen that before too now from black men falsely accused
Starting point is 01:02:33 of some things. And let me say, he ain't the only one waiting on a day. The world don't skip a beat. Yeah, I know. The world don't skip a beat. I know.
Starting point is 01:02:43 Unfortunately. So now, we here. And I don't want a beat I know unfortunately so now we here and I don't want to stay on this no the same reason ain't nobody give a fuck about the dude cracking on my man in the wheelchair
Starting point is 01:02:50 give a fuck about your black man ass they don't give a fuck when we are wronged they could give two shits when we get wronged there's not gonna be
Starting point is 01:03:01 a parade there's not gonna be none of that shit for us nothing I have to find out if it's a fact that that is a diss song to Rolling Ray. If it is, nobody ain't going to give a fuck. Is there any way y'all could Google that?
Starting point is 01:03:12 I trust Alex. I'm blown away by this, this, this Snapple fact, this diss record Snapple fact. I am. Is that all of our Rolling Loud coverage? Is there anything else that happened at Rolling Loud that we have to, have to, have to get to?
Starting point is 01:03:27 Yeah, yeah, yeah. Give it to me. We have to congratulate them because nobody got injured. There was no niggerocity. Hey! Because we're coming here and promote, I mean, not promote, but discuss the nigger shit. No nigger shit seemed to have happened. It didn't make the news.
Starting point is 01:03:47 So you got to congratulate that. Absolutely. And the stage held up. Fam, some of the biggest black artists in the world came out, had a great time. And everybody left. Monday came. We didn't hear one word rumor about a fight, shooting, a jump, a square off, a gang meet up, a spin the block, nothing.
Starting point is 01:04:08 The news cycle was back to normal. That is dope for everybody to be there. Now, we have one person to thank for that and one person only
Starting point is 01:04:24 to thank for that. You guessed it. Watch it. I haven't guessed. Poo Shiesty. Round of applause. Fucking God. All of you fucking artists went out there playing your big tunes.
Starting point is 01:04:38 They get the crowd hype and normally incite violence. Wasn't it? But not the real violence. The cutesy violence. It wasn't that record, though. The violence with the catchy chorus. You know the one. The one that Mike Willen made.
Starting point is 01:05:00 The jazzy, the production one. That violence. Oh, man. not back in blood hey let me tell you i don't know who made that beat some short nigga from chicago who got shot no i'm scared i ain't playing back and bloody are you killing me he's had a peaceful weekend are you killing me no are you killing me look no no no a peaceful weekend. Are you killing me? No. Are you killing me? No, no, no. If Back in Blood would have came on, I don't know if the news cycle is as peaceful on a Monday is all I'm saying.
Starting point is 01:05:31 Valid. Bitch, I got my own fire. We don't need security. We don't need security in the club. I'd be so happy to see security in the club. You are. When you're old, you don't have your own fire. I stand right by him.
Starting point is 01:05:44 I don't have my own fur. If you had... If you had your own fire, you wouldn't need security. No, that's when you need them more. Nah. If Pooch Ice-T would've walked on that stage
Starting point is 01:05:55 and Back in Blood would've came on... Back in Blood. Niggas would've went from kissing to kicking. Listen, man. Oh, man. Shout out to Pooch Ice-T.
Starting point is 01:06:04 That record would've went from kissing to kicking. Listen, man. Oh, man. Shout out to Pooh Shiesty. That record would have went crazy. Crazy. Yes. Over there. Oh, man. What do y'all think about white kids saying nigger at these festivals? I'm asking y'all that because on the Woodstock 99 doc, they were highlighting DMX's performance and how he did My Niggas. He did My Niggas. Some niggas that you don and how he did uh my niggas you know uh my nigga
Starting point is 01:06:26 some nigga that you don't want to try and then and then and do a dime the whole crowd the whole crowd laugh raw my nigga my nigga and the person commentating was like he was speaking to the power in that for for dmx as the performer during his uh show to almost license the word to the audience to only be okay to use during this time had you caught any of these people probably after the show nine times out of ten and asked them their take on saying that word around black people they would probably tell you eh shouldn't do it right but they did it because X allowed it that was interesting for me to hear because I've performed in front of much smaller crowds
Starting point is 01:07:07 with white people saying that word, and I'll always get taken aback. I never looked at it from that point of view. So I'm asking y'all now, how do y'all feel about it? Because I know these white people are rolling loud, and I know they was turning up to every Fabio record played. 100%. Fabio's so dope for repeating the bar.
Starting point is 01:07:28 Like, at a festival. The ad-lib is the bar again. Right. That's the ad-lib. Yeah. These guys are good, man. What are you going to say, Ice? About them saying, nigga, I don't care.
Starting point is 01:07:40 You don't care. I really don't. Like, it doesn't do anything to me, too. You're a cone. Listen, I'm sorry. sorry bigger bigger problems and all right let me ask you this oh see let me ask you i already know i know i'm not even talking dmx is the artist. Right? Audience, that fucking Woodstock 99 audience, you couldn't see nothing but people
Starting point is 01:08:08 for, look like five miles. Yeah. So he's the artist and he's sitting up there like, Right. And he puts the mic out. What are they going to say?
Starting point is 01:08:18 All he can see predominantly are white faces. We've seen this crowd for 20 years now. It's all white people. Yeah. seen this crowd for 20 years now. It's all white people. So when the artist sticks the microphone out and says,
Starting point is 01:08:29 he's encouraging them and inviting them to give him back the same energy he's given them, which is, my nigga. We know, H.
Starting point is 01:08:40 What do you think about it? If he okayed it in that moment, I think he had the, he was the okayed it in that moment I think he had the he was the MC of that moment and I think he they did and responded how they want he wanted him to
Starting point is 01:08:52 if I come in here and call Parks my nigga you know what I'm saying which you've done you've done that and he doesn't say it back I'm not disagreeing I'm just saying that in that moment
Starting point is 01:09:07 with 200,000 motherfuckers there screaming and he sticks the mic out I think he gave him a pass he gave him a pass yeah like I think I don't want to hear that shit don't ever say it around me
Starting point is 01:09:17 don't ever say it around me even if I agree with Ice and Ish because if I agree with them y'all still don't be saying it saucy like it don't be saying it's saucy. Like, it don't sound... It never sounds right. It never sounds good. Like, why do they... Yeah, just leave it alone.
Starting point is 01:09:32 Leave it. So when he stick the mic out, it's just supposed to be dead silent. My... My... My... My ninja. Yeah, something. I don't know. It's not my job. Rest in peace, DMX. He's not performing. My person. Alright, we got it. Yeah, something. I don't know. It's not my job. Rest in peace, DMX. He's not performing. My person.
Starting point is 01:09:47 All right, we got it. Moving right along. Whoever want to. My person. Okay. Time to get into why I miss hearing my voice when I listen to you other pathetic fucking podcasters every time I take a break.
Starting point is 01:10:06 Because where do you get these takes? You need a rapper to do it. You need a rapper to understand rappers. You need, what you call you, architect? Contractor. You need a contractor to understand contractors. Yo, I had a leak in my house for a year and a half. Ish came
Starting point is 01:10:21 over one day before the pod and fixed it. And said, yo, what's wrong with you? Why you living like this? No, the wild shit is he had somebody there fixing it. I'm going to fuck Ish up, man. I'm going to fuck him up. I had these people
Starting point is 01:10:32 in my house fixing it. He couldn't fix it. Ish went right upstairs like, yo, my man. I'm like, yo, we here for a podcast. And this nigga fixed and he fixed my house.
Starting point is 01:10:42 I go in the dentist this morning. Ish fixed your teeth too? No, I go in the dentist this morning. Did you fix your teeth, too? No. I go in the dentist this morning. Trash one-liner from Parks. Trash one-liner from Parks. I go in the dentist this morning, right?
Starting point is 01:10:52 And she don't numb me up. She just take, she open my mouth, relax, dog. She saying, relax, chill out. Clack, clack. Fix some shit, real quick. No numbness, no nothing. And I'm sitting there thinking that looked real simple. Like I learned how to drive by watching.
Starting point is 01:11:07 Like sometimes you learn by watching. You might think watching ish build a house or watching me do a podcast or watching her do that simple little task that you can do it. That's true. Guess what? Not at all, buddy. You need to probably be the dentist to know how to dentist did that.
Starting point is 01:11:26 How did I even get here or you've watched 50 dentists before you and you interned and you were a resident and you did all that shit to learn what the fuck you was doing so all these YouTube videos are for nothing yeah if you want to hang a light you good so now here comes I know y'all sick of me
Starting point is 01:11:41 y'all sick of me before every Drake release I understand I'm a fan of me. Y'all sick of me before every Drake release. I understand. I'm a fan of the guy. The guy's good. Kanye is good too. They're both good. And while I would like for them to have nothing to do with each other, they continue to make me sit home and think they have everything to do with each other,
Starting point is 01:12:01 even after Karen Civil tweets that they made friends again. That's not enough for you? No. Even if they are friends, they still got a lot to do with each other even after Karen Civil tweets that they made friends again. That's not enough for you? Even if they are friends, they still got a lot to do with each other. Karen's word is normally enough for me. It's normally enough. You can be in competition with your friends. Karen is connected in ways that I am not. She tweets
Starting point is 01:12:19 their friends or Instagram comments their friends. I assume that they're friends. You're right. Until friends or Instagram comments their friends. I assume that they're friends. You're right. Until Drake goes on a date at the baseball stadium. I see where you're going with this. Kanye moves
Starting point is 01:12:35 into the stadium to live. That's his now. Mr. Me Too? That brings me back to Drake saying that Kanye had a nice pool. But. Mine's just bigger. I mean, Ye pool is nice.
Starting point is 01:12:55 Listen, Brokies, we can't understand this talk. Not at all. The rich niggas. Don't call my pool rich. Not even rich. I didn't mean to insult them These dudes They wealthy
Starting point is 01:13:09 I don't even want to insult them I don't even want to insult them That still might be disrespectful These guys When you're That wealthy You gotta just start judging niggas By their pool size
Starting point is 01:13:20 Stadium size Do you have heated Do you have heated marble In your house Or not Wait a minute how big are your bigs in your studio wait a minute you're not telling me that in your kitchen you walk in and see your stove oven and sink do you at the same time wait that stuff is visible it'll come out the wall no it's not buried beneath marble you're not telling me your
Starting point is 01:13:43 kitchen don't come up from the floor. I'm telling you something. Nah, these niggas, yeah. Shit. I went to Mark Wahlberg house for a party one day and I used to do B&Es. You had to itch for a minute?
Starting point is 01:14:02 So listen. What a flashback. I go in Mark Wahlberg house. Joe's just snooping around. Me and little stupid ass Jewish in. Opening up all the little jewelry boxes. I'm in there proud of myself. I'm in a suit.
Starting point is 01:14:18 I'm in some Rick Owens suit. Proud of myself like, wow. I used to break in houses. Now I'm in Mark Wahlberg's house and then my stupid stupid ass brain while I said that and heard myself say it then my next thought was
Starting point is 01:14:32 how could I break in Mark Wahlberg's what would I do so I got to look around hey guess what I went all around this house I'm Mark Wahlberg still out here
Starting point is 01:14:48 I went around this whole the yard I creeped over smoked behind this bush I went behind this statue
Starting point is 01:14:56 over here while they was eating ham and cheese cutlery whatever you call it shavockery chivalry
Starting point is 01:15:02 cututlery I went around this guy's whole house it was about an hour past before I realized I hadn't left the foyer yo
Starting point is 01:15:17 he had bushes in the foyer the foyer was a house yo it was the guest foyer entry it was the entry foyer was a house. Yo, it was the guest foyer entry. It was the entry foyer walkway that looked like a home. It was 30,000 square feet of foyer. Of foyer. Of statues, lights.
Starting point is 01:15:36 That shit looked like a museum. Hey, the stupid guest was about to leave. I see him. I thought they caught me. I said, oh, shit. They see me. Everybody's just leaving. I see them. I thought they caught me. I said, oh, shit. They see me. Everybody's just leaving. Oh, shit.
Starting point is 01:15:49 I'm still at the little exit. Man, let me get out of this nigga crib. Nicest guys. I went home streamed every Mark Wahlberg movie. All of them in a row, man. Good for him.
Starting point is 01:16:00 That's not the money. Yeah, that ain't good vibrations money. I'll tell you that much. Y'all keep playing around with this music if you want. Good races money. Is Mark Wahlberg racist? Yes.
Starting point is 01:16:11 I keep hearing that. He has a charge for beating up people and using racial slurs in Boston, like targeting minorities and beating them up in the 80s. Oh, then yeah, you racist. Sorry. I didn't know that. Yeah. Has he changed?
Starting point is 01:16:26 Yo. racist. Sorry. I didn't know that. Has he changed? Yo, niggas can't just keep bringing up your old life mistakes. My wife is 50 something. You don't care? You don't care. Well, you can't have a story, too.
Starting point is 01:16:41 If you catch any charge, you might as well go up to your local precinct. You're done. You're done. You're done. Never watching your shit again. Oh my God, you jaywalked. Post Malone,
Starting point is 01:16:54 kill rolling loud. Hey. Moving right along. Moving right along. Is he hip hop though? Moving, moving right along. Back to Kanye,
Starting point is 01:17:03 right? So, Kanye rents this thing out now he lives there he's not leaving until he finishes the album that way when we hear the album and it sounds like
Starting point is 01:17:10 stadium music we're gonna say oh shit he was in the stadium wow it makes sense right cool is that what he said for real he didn't say that but he's not leaving
Starting point is 01:17:19 he's living there he's not leaving until the album is finished Mercedes Benz Stadium he's not leaving he was there at the little football game. OTA is about to start.
Starting point is 01:17:27 Get the fuck out of here. What the fuck are you talking about? Falcons ain't doing nothing. It's August, nigga. Falcons ain't doing nothing. It's August. Don't say that, because I might take Kyle Pitts earlier than most. Fair.
Starting point is 01:17:42 I might do it. He'll put up numbers. I'm thinking about it. What round do you take Kyle Pitts? I mean, a good tight end, you'd take kind of early. What round do you take? It'd only be like four.
Starting point is 01:17:50 I'm asking y'all. Tell me. I'm a third round tight end. Corey says fifth. You're not taking Kyle Pitts in the third round, are you? No, maybe not Kyle Pitts, but Kelsey or someone like that.
Starting point is 01:17:57 Or Kittle, I would. Yeah, I'd take tight end. What round does Kyle Pitts go in your fantasy? Fifth, maybe sixth. I was going to say sixth. Thanks Ice who fucking drafted Zach Ertz in the fourth with me
Starting point is 01:18:09 last year. I ain't drafted you last year Joe. Yes you did. No I didn't. Two years ago. Two years ago. That was me that did that? Yeah you did that last year. Oh no I didn't have Zach Ertz last year. I didn't have Zach Ertz last year. Somebody I shouldn't have had. So listen in consequence
Starting point is 01:18:24 friend of the show consequence tweets yeah that we are looking for Drake's drop date we
Starting point is 01:18:34 we we as in the good music family oh okay Kanye West whose album is pushed back to August 4th now I think 6th
Starting point is 01:18:42 August 6th cons who I do believe to have inside information, says that we are looking for Drake's drop date. And there's more to that, though. Then he says, at
Starting point is 01:18:57 Swiss Beats, set it up. Or no, drop the low. Something like that. I'm sorry? Line it up. Line it up. Like a Versus album? That's what... I think that's what that part means. I'm not mad at that. That's what that part means to me.
Starting point is 01:19:10 That could be fun. Why are you tagging Swiss? Kanye did that already with 50. I know. And smoked his boots. One way to look at it. Muffins were cracked. Yeah, there was...
Starting point is 01:19:22 On that September day. Yes, they were. One way to look at it what's the other way better marketing labels the nerds no they both
Starting point is 01:19:30 the other way is the only way to look at it Kanye was the geeky nerd wearing two polo collared shirts
Starting point is 01:19:38 and Louis Vuitton backpacks that was also a producer at the time and was coming up he was wearing sunglasses with
Starting point is 01:19:45 his ceiling his ceiling was high uh and he was new and he was playing nice with the suits and the execs and the senior level people 50 on the other hand was not playing nice at all he was starting trouble he was beefing with rappers execss, suits. He was threatening people. He was punching people in the face. And he was threatening the people at Interscope Records. Interscope, universal. And Def Jam, universal. Conspiracy theory here. They say someone came up with the bright marketing idea to pit these two together.
Starting point is 01:20:22 So one one who nobody thought would win but was organized to win behind the scenes and everybody in the industry knew would win and this would ultimately put the damper on 50 Cent. This is where I'll stop that. It's graduation. Yeah, I was going to say.
Starting point is 01:20:39 And Close the Massacre. That's more hindsight. That was Curtis' album. That was Curtis' album that was Curtis album which was yeah that's what graduation y'all are all saying this
Starting point is 01:20:50 with the information it's like up there with the Beatles hindsight no no immediately was it was an instant classic
Starting point is 01:20:57 it's not immediate if it's not released you don't know it's an instant classic so you're going off you hearing the music but there was when this was released
Starting point is 01:21:04 when this was announced When this was released, when this was announced, when this was thought of, nobody would have said, oh, my God. Actually, that's what we said. Why are they doing this? Like, why would Kanye be doing this? That's stupid.
Starting point is 01:21:15 This nigga just sold fucking 10 million records. Like, I don't understand what's going on here. That was Kanye's coming out party. No, it wasn't. He moved his date up to say,
Starting point is 01:21:23 let's drop the same date. I know. And then... You think Kanye did that on his own, huh? You don't think he was empowered, influenced? party no it wasn't he moved his date up to say um let's drop the same day i know and then you think kanye did that on his own huh you don't think he was empowered influenced that was the second album you don't think you don't think he had third third third album that was what that was the album that introduced him into that catapulted him to hey we've seen you make two classics we know what they did you that nigga but can you get him out the way and they got him out the way two black brothers and y'all wonder why i am not as excited about worse verse lupin as everyone else like i just hate to keep saying it like that huh i said i'm not either but
Starting point is 01:21:54 i'm not either but uh but uh back to khan's tweets khan stop if you're looking for him retreat if you think you want to find him you don't leave that man alone if they're out being friendly let it be friendly if you're asking Swizz for verses erase Swizz's contact out of your phone.
Starting point is 01:22:28 Not the regular verses like catalog versus catalog, because I'd never say nothing bad about Ye in that ever. But if you're trying to introduce verses into album sales, stop it. It's genius. Stop it. I think it could be cool. Stop it.
Starting point is 01:22:41 No, I think it's genius. Stop it. I think Kanye will get smoked. Stop it. Stop it. Hey, it could be cool. Stop it. No, I think it's genius. Stop it. I think Kanye will get smoked. Stop it. Stop it. Hey, that's for them. If you can think it's genius, cool. Parks, you can think what you want.
Starting point is 01:22:51 Hey, that's for y'all people that have no idea what the fuck is going on. But you don't, in the same breath, hire Justin Laboy to be your spokesperson and then challenge Drake to anything. You sit home and think about it. Well, not for nothing, Joe. I mean, it's kind of a parallel move. Like you made the Justin LeBoy academics comparison. Drake's been feeding information through ACK.
Starting point is 01:23:16 Such as? He's been dropping little albums and shit through academics. Such as? I don't follow, bro. Then don't say it. It's been happening. If you can't speak to it, then don't say it. Don't take Drake DMs the industry.
Starting point is 01:23:35 Don't take the Drake DM saying, nah, that Lika's fake. Or, nah, not yet. Still mixing. Like, he does that a lot. That ain't what I'm talking about here. Khans better leave him alone. If they at peace, let the peace continue. But I want to see Ye win.
Starting point is 01:23:55 And maybe this is a part of Ye winning. Ye's going to win regardless, I think. But I think this is Khans doing his job of trying to get his mans to win as much as possible. And the best way to do that is to pit them up against the greatest artists in the world. But you got to earn that. You got to earn that. I know Ye is Ye.
Starting point is 01:24:11 Whoa, whoa, whoa. I was about to say, wait, you don't think he's Ye? Oh, brother. You by Island. Wait, how am I by Island now? That's Ye. See, no. His last call.
Starting point is 01:24:19 No, no, no. You was going to let us answer? I didn't ask nothing. You said, how am I by Island? Oh, God. Kanye West. I thought that was like a return. Come on.
Starting point is 01:24:30 Like, musically, I mean, his last couple albums haven't been him. But as you say, the greats can great. Yeah. He's a great. And he knows how to great. You fucking right he does. All right, then. So don't say, yo, don't just go barking up the tree.
Starting point is 01:24:44 Like, it's just a. It ain't. Like, it's just something. Yeah, yeah.'t say yo don't just go barking up the tree like it's just a it ain't like it's just yeah i didn't i didn't say don't go barking up the tree that's that's his tree to bark up that's the only tree that tree got his name up that's the only tree that is for him to bark up so even especially if him in hovis school that's not what i said i said you have to earn that he's earned you don't think he's art there? Not to us, yeah. I think in this room, yes. It's like, y'all there too. I think when you enter the land of greats, I always talk about this, you got to get out of our brain and get in the land of greats.
Starting point is 01:25:16 We all great here. So yes, everything you've done is great. But? But what about right now? Because I can tell you what Drake has done as an already about right now because i could tell you what drake has done as an already great right now that nigga ain't stopped moving the whole pandemic he went to the project shooting videos he leaked two projects had another project leak he's dating over here he's hopping on feature over here what i'm saying is it's science with him i always say that but it's a difference let me finish let me finish it's science with that boy they've been looking at numbers projections
Starting point is 01:25:50 all that shit since pandemic started treating that shit like the delta variant they've been doing it and when he dropped we're gonna see the result of it i don't think that kanye has put any of that work in this year on this project i'm gonna speak to it no no no i'm gonna speak to it i don't think that Kanye has put any of that work in this year on this project. I'm going to speak to it. No, no, no. I'm going to speak to it. I don't think so. I'm going to speak to it.
Starting point is 01:26:08 He's invited everybody to Wisconsin to record. He's been hoarding music, and now we about to hear it. But he has been low. Joe, he's going through a divorce in his life. Now you tell me about the personal stuff. He can't go do a video on the projects if my fucking life is falling apart. Then don't come to me challenging the nigga that been at work the whole year. No, that don't mean he ain't been at work behind closed doors.
Starting point is 01:26:31 That mean he might not have been at work. Let me finish. He might not have been at work in the forefront that was visible to the masses. That don't mean that behind closed doors I'm not putting together some shit because this is my outlet for what's going on in my real life. No, it don't mean that. But it do mean that you're going to get smoked in the event that the other nigga you're looking for decide to be found. That's not guaranteed.
Starting point is 01:26:49 I don't guarantee. You are on your own in that. Nobody in here. All right, well, check this out. Check this out. No, I'm not on my own. In this room, you are. Now let me in.
Starting point is 01:26:58 Whenever y'all stop, I'll talk. I'm listening. So now I introduce you, gentlemen. We can bet on Kanye's's first week it's official you can bet on it real live money action now it ain't just words it ain't just sit on the fucking couch of the podcast and talk nigga no and the number's 250 over under i got over over it don't matter what you got no no it's, no. It's a bet, though. No, listen. You went on your rant talking about betting. That's a bet. You got under?
Starting point is 01:27:27 No, we don't need to bet with each other. I'm telling you that we could really do it. It's a real thing. That's incredible to me. But it also says, hmm, I don't know. That is a good number to put it at, 250. Yeah. Let me let you gentlemen in here know that in the event the consuming, paying public could bet on an over, under, or a Drake album, we not sniffing 250.
Starting point is 01:27:55 We not talking nothing about 250, fam. I don't think. I said this last week. We not touching. It might not be 350. Imagine what it is. I get what you're saying now. Like, stop.
Starting point is 01:28:04 That's an actual betting line. Like, stop is what I'm saying. Imagine what it is. I get what you're saying now. I didn't know that. That's an actual betting line. Like, stop is what I'm saying. The line is 250. And if Drake is, his line ain't going to be 250. Yeah, I'm not disrespecting. Yay, yay, yay. Y'all ain't got to tell me yay is yay. It's messed up.
Starting point is 01:28:15 Let me ask you this, though. Do you think that's based on, I think that's based on Kanye's last two projects. Yes. I don't think that's based. I'm sure that's part of it, yeah. No, I think that's a major part. I don't think that's based on. That's how bets work. Yeah,. I don't think that's based... I'm sure that's part of it, yeah. No, I think that's a major part. I don't think that's based on... That's how lines work.
Starting point is 01:28:28 Yeah, so I don't think that's... Well, no, that's not true because regardless of what his last albums did, if the majority of the public had him at 450, then we wouldn't be talking about 250. The number would change. But they're not going to have him at 450
Starting point is 01:28:42 They would start based off the album projections. And now we're going to take money and we're going to see what the field says. And now that's where it's going to be. And this is at 250. I think that's telling. I think they're right. I think that's appropriate. I think it's where it should be.
Starting point is 01:28:54 Given the hype, there's no single. We just got hype last week. It's coming. I support this shit. I'm buying it. Right. But let's relax, Cons and Justin LaVoy. Like, this is still,
Starting point is 01:29:05 it's still LeBron in the league, Greek freak. I know. And Drake is Mahomes. And you see what the fuck happened. It's Tom Brady. It can happen. That's what I'm saying.
Starting point is 01:29:18 I'm not, and that's an amazing analogy right there. That's what's happening with Mahomes. Have me on my back. Have me on my back. Never that. Drake is Mahomes. Never that.
Starting point is 01:29:24 Nah, Drake is more like Aaron Rodgers. No. Yeah, I don't, I don't, where's, why is Drake Mahomes? I'm right there. That's what's happening with my home test. Have me on my back. Have me on my back. Never that. Drake is my home test. Never that. Nah, Drake is more like Aaron Rodgers. No. Yeah, I don't, I don't, where's, why is Drake in my home? I'm lost there. He's the best nigga. See, I told you he was a deep dive. He's the best nigga throwing the ball in the last 20 years. Hey, Park said, hey, Kanye's staying in the stadium.
Starting point is 01:29:38 I don't know if it's a deep dive. I said, eh, we watch this, buddy. Listen, man, I'm buying the album, but... I mean, Drake don't have a single either. Hell, neither. He's a single. That's not true. If he throw...
Starting point is 01:29:51 He has... He's a single. He's a single. That could be the single. He does that. See, Drake jigs the numbers. No, no, he's a single. Drake will drop your single.
Starting point is 01:30:00 He's a walking single, no question. That is true, but Drake will drop a single. That nigga come out. Two years. Spooky album. Yeah. Take one of them records that ran crazy and throw it on the album. Yeah, man.
Starting point is 01:30:11 He does that. It's true. Listen, I support both those dudes. I can't wait to hear the projects. I just want the music, man. I don't care. I don't care about numbers. I don't care about that.
Starting point is 01:30:18 Give me good music. Hopefully they come before September. They'll come before September because Puff is coming in September. I'm real excited about that project, too. He's going to go crazy. All right what we got what we got what do we got all right moving right along shout out to the people out there still riding man through a real turbulent year unfortunately though y'all have been good to me i have to do this to y'all i had to hear it so y'all have to hear it and we're here to break this down because that's what some
Starting point is 01:30:48 of you expect and before i get into this mickey fax disc record to royce i want to play the re-record of one of my favorite songs two occasions by the Dell deal sorry and I'm just gonna shut up while it plays and if you're listening with your mom your dad or anybody older I'm sorry I know y'all been riding with us out there I'm sorry you guys shout out to babyface I don't know whose idea this was but uh I'm sorry, y'all. Yo, what's that, Joe? I had to hear this on a...
Starting point is 01:31:53 That's not the deal. This is the deal. No, that's the don't. This is the deal. That's bullshit. That's no deal. That was no deal. This is one of the best songs ever made.
Starting point is 01:32:02 Listen, they redid it. Look, they redid it for y'all. Listen. Oh, man. Yo, cut that off, yo. You sure? We got to hear what they did to the hook. I got to hear the hook.
Starting point is 01:32:18 Yeah, we waited all this time. We got to find out. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. All right, now you can cut that out. Yo, I guess it's some business involved. That's what you're chalking it up to is the business? Yo, dogs.
Starting point is 01:32:40 It's just so cute. That's not funny, my man. Yes, they redid their song for the business. I know. That's horrible. That they redid their song for the business. I know. That's horrible. That they redid their song for the business? Yes. But do they... Like, all this redoing of the record,
Starting point is 01:32:52 like, do they think it... Does it work? Like... What happens? So when you go to stream it, you play that? I think ultimately... You play that, and then they get paid. Ultimately, I think their interest is mostly
Starting point is 01:33:01 in, like, film sync and TV shows and commercials that want to use the original song. They're not going to care if you sound like shit, really. It's playing in the background. Yeah. I don't think they're really interested in selling records, per se. Yeah. Okay.
Starting point is 01:33:13 No, I thought it was the stream value. That's how much value the stream. Yeah. All right, we are back. Mickey Facts. They are on Royce's ass. So let me try to give the brief synopsis to the best of my ability this didn't even start with any of these gentlemen
Starting point is 01:33:32 in the rapping RJ Payne started it all he did? he said him and Ransom are the best RJ Payne said him and Ransom are the best Royce chimed in and said, where? What you supposed to do?
Starting point is 01:33:48 What best? Shut up. But he's friends with them, so that's fine. Right. And then Lupe, who's a friend, jumps in and says, oh, y'all shut up. And then he's got a friend, Mickey, who jumps in, and now they start having a fight with Royce. Nerds versus the, which is funny because for a long time,
Starting point is 01:34:03 maybe people looked at Royce as a backpack rapper. That's funny. Royce has rapped about killing people his whole life. With a backpack on though. Yeah, it took me to come along and say, yo, just let him live. Stop murdering. Stop killing him. Stop murdering people.
Starting point is 01:34:18 But listen, so that's where we are. Royce rapped, amazing track. Lupe dissed amazing diss and that to me was the end but to Mickey not so much he's had a bone
Starting point is 01:34:30 to pick with y'all for a minute yes not just that Royce says a friendly bone Royce said his name it's a friendly bone
Starting point is 01:34:36 Royce said get out of here I say get out of here too get out of here nigga for a person that got the bone to pick with you saying their name is all they need
Starting point is 01:34:44 if I'm dissing you and I say, oh, please. You know that. There's certain rappers that if they say your name. 50 times if I don't look at you like that. And I'm not dissing Mick. Mick is my man. Mick is nice. I'm not talking about Mickey Facts right now.
Starting point is 01:34:57 I'm just talking about I don't know how any of these gentlemen view each other. I ain't spoke to him about any of this. But if somebody don't view somebody like that, you can say their name a million times. They're going to change nothing. That's... Mickey Fax can rap. Royce can rap.
Starting point is 01:35:10 Lupe can rap. RJ Payne can rap. And Ransom can rap. Yeah. Everybody here can rap. No question. Right. So rap.
Starting point is 01:35:17 Now what? Rap. Let's rap. Now you said my name. Bring your game up. And like I just said, if Mickey Fax... You got to say my name in an impressive just said, if Mickey Faxon had a bone... You gotta say my name in an impressive fashion. But if Mickey Faxon
Starting point is 01:35:28 You better make the best mouse flip I ever heard. If Mickey Faxon had a bone to pick with certain rappers, and one of those rappers say my name in any way, I'm jumping. No, I like that Mickey is from the cloth of I'm gonna rap. I'm gonna rap. And I'm not mad at none of the people that's gonna rap, because
Starting point is 01:35:43 that's the right school to come from. Mm-hmm. And they to rap. And I'm not mad at none of the people that's going to rap because that's the right school to come from. And they can rap. Yeah, Mickey can rap. All of them. Yeah, I ain't mad at it. Fuck all that, man. What Royce about to do? That's what the people need.
Starting point is 01:35:58 Boy. Hurts when you got to kill a nigga you love. It's all good, though though Let's go, Mitch Sosa We on the ass No more talking, nigga Marisha, you got yourself into some shit now I can't help you, I'm retiring
Starting point is 01:36:16 Look, all this chatting for hours is really silly, nigga With no rapping, I swear you gotta be backwards No matter how many flowers we try to give a nigga It's like they only want him on top of the casket Pay the price for acting ladylike We rarely see black M&Ms, kinda shady right? You sent the shot, so I flash back like it's 80's night Playing big or put you in the box, that was Gravy's plight
Starting point is 01:36:39 Thought I was hijacking that live, now I'm taking flight Your girl in the ghost and gobbling dick, say goodnight You know how I Rolls Royce, chest move, you see Ryan Reynolds wrapped in a lagoon, that's a Deadpool Lupe freestyled and got you outta here You cried alone from playing yourself, shed a solid tear All that syllable blibble-goop-little-loop is kinda weird It dresses you up from being direct, cause you probably scared
Starting point is 01:37:02 Your fans say I'm on a rampage Better reunite Slaughterhouse or get cut You need your band aid I told him prove you do what I do He gave me lampshade Get it? Band aid Slaughterhouse is his band You may need their aid
Starting point is 01:37:18 Your songs ain't no anthems Your bar plays went random And you still ain't bring that energy to RJ and Ransom, nigga I think it's crazy, right? Like, this all started cause RJ said him and Ransom was the best And you responded on IG You never got in the booth and spoke to these niggas So yo, I'ma bar they style And talk to you, nigga
Starting point is 01:37:47 Got rid of the pounds, I had a literal way plan On Montgomery, yeah, bad, I'm dealing that name brand Catch Royce at the register and give him a face scan This ain't R.J. or Sean Kemp, original Rain Man They loving the pressure, want me to test ya KRS, one with the lectures, big pun with the letters On the roof About to leave Voice sick
Starting point is 01:38:05 Clutching barrettes Bullets rain over you Now we really Under the weather Pain Randy Nichols I'm dissecting the track More fly
Starting point is 01:38:12 Elegant rap His pride Get him attacked This guy's skeleton Cracked to Ryan Mellon That don't really sound like Ransom No I don't I hate that part
Starting point is 01:38:20 That sounded more like Blue I hated all of that Yeah I've never been a big fan Of the mimic Someone else's If you can make it fly You know It's a few things It's a few things. I hated all of that. Yeah, I've never been a big fan of the mimic someone else's. If you can make it fly. You know, there's a few things that I hate in rap verses.
Starting point is 01:38:30 Who made it fly? Me, personally. That was fly. I like this. You like that? I hate it. I hate it. I don't like to make it sound like something else. I want to hear Ransom be Ransom.
Starting point is 01:38:38 Yeah. I never in my life want to hear Mickey Fax be Ransom. Especially when it doesn't sound like Ransom. At all. Just go ahead and do your ass. So what he's saying don't matter? No, no. The bars are cool. No, the bars are beyond cool. That was fire.
Starting point is 01:38:52 Bar wise. Wow. Y'all gonna make me get my cape. Get it. Do you know who Royce the Five Nine is? See, that still doesn't take away from what he did. I didn't ask you about what he did. Yes, I know who Royce is. That's the only thing I asked you. Yes, I know who Royce is. That's the only thing I asked you.
Starting point is 01:39:06 That's the only thing I asked you. Yes, I know who Royce is. Next question. I don't have any more. Huh? Excuse me? You said you're going to make me get my cape. Excuse me?
Starting point is 01:39:14 What do you mean? Are there any more questions? What other question I need to ask you? I asked you if you knew who Royce 5'9 was. The end. Yes, I do. Oh, okay. That's it.
Starting point is 01:39:25 I'm lost. Listen I told you, yes, I do. Oh, okay. That's it. I'm lost. Listen, like you said, everybody's talking they shit rap. This is rapping. I agree. This is rapping.
Starting point is 01:39:33 And when Royce comes back, I think he's probably going to smoke. And when I go to McDonald's. Well, until he, until that happens. That has to happen. Shut up.
Starting point is 01:39:39 Until he gets his pipe out and puts some stuff in it. Nigga, this stands. This is not bad rap. But what happens when it stands? See, and that's, that's why I love in it. Nigga, this stands. This is not bad rap. But what happens when it stands? See, and that's why I love rap beef.
Starting point is 01:39:49 You're right, it stands. What changed in the world? We ain't got to change shit in the world. I'm showing that out. Nigga, we talking about rapping. We not talking about changing the world.
Starting point is 01:39:57 No, I didn't say change the world. You said what changed. I said what changed in the world. What changed in the world What's different? Mickey Fax rapped.
Starting point is 01:40:08 Mickey Fax can rap. Mickey Fax battled. Mickey Fax battles. Mickey Fax does everything that... So I can ask you that question about voice rapped. What changed in the world? Nothing. Nothing.
Starting point is 01:40:22 That don't matter. Nothing needs to change for the person that's arguably a hundred slots higher on the rap list fam that's not the person that needs to change something what are you talking about yes mickey did greg no mickey did me let me finish my point mickey did mickey awesome it should be applauded but when the guy that we know is the guy decides to go and be the guy like stop this man
Starting point is 01:40:48 you gotta do more than this to get that guy to you know what I mean I don't know I know you keep saying that
Starting point is 01:40:54 about every district I love it there's a shock factor in disses now you caping I been said I was gonna cape I started this
Starting point is 01:41:03 with I'm caping you gotta cape with some validity. What if I said that's not valid so far? Let me ask you. I'm going to answer you. You said you got to do more than this. No, he don't.
Starting point is 01:41:15 He will. He should. No, you said you got to do more than this, right? Let me ask you how long you think it took Royce to write that first shitty role. Don't matter. Don't matter. Don't matter. He did it quick. Well, if you're not going to answer none of my questions.
Starting point is 01:41:27 I'm not saying you some. You ain't answering yet. I'm answering your questions. Well, I want to answer all your questions. So ask them. You said he got to do more than this. If you want that guy to reply, yeah. But for your brain, that's everybody's man in the room.
Starting point is 01:41:42 Jay-Z and Eminem could get together and collab on some shit, and you still say that ain't enough based on who Royce is. Not true. Okay. You just freestyled something that's not true. If Jay-Z and Eminem dissed Royce, I would tell Royce to diss them. No, if you knew that. I'm saying, because it's Mickey Facts saying it,
Starting point is 01:42:02 it don't matter what he says, you know Royce can rap better than Mickey Fax. No, that's true, but he has to write an ether. See, we got to stop giving... Wait, hold up. That is not true. Nas was being totally disrespected at the time the ether dropped. We hadn't heard from him.
Starting point is 01:42:20 We didn't know if his pen was the same, and that's kind of my point. We keep giving people legacy points, and that's great. Mickey is who Mickey is. And that's kind of my point. We keep giving people like legacy points. And that's great. Mickey is who Mickey is. Royce is who Royce is. Everybody is who they are already. But now when it's time to engage in war, no. Everybody thought Jay would say something to Nas.
Starting point is 01:42:34 Nas is quiet. He'll continue to be quiet. It was that Nas came with what he needed to come with against that opponent. All right. That's. That was a nigga four for five. Hey, check this out. This song to Jay-Z. I know. And none of them shits worked. All that. All right. That's... That was a nigga full of this song to Jay-Z. I know,
Starting point is 01:42:47 and none of them shits worked. I know. All that over the fucking old breakbeat drums, nobody gave a fuck. I know. You needed to go in the lab, sit down,
Starting point is 01:42:56 and get a dope ass beat. And check all the boxes like Royce said to Mickey. You had to go get a dope beat. If y'all think that this diss is on par with checking all the boxes and with
Starting point is 01:43:07 Ether and all of the greats, I think you need to be great when you dissing somebody great. Joe thinks you need to be great. Yeah, me too. I'm sorry, bro. That shit was not that great. It was horrible. So stop. I'm with y'all, but you cannot argue the impact of Ether. I agree with you.
Starting point is 01:43:23 It was what it said. Oh my God. Fam, we don but you cannot argue the impact of ether. I agree with you. It was what it said. Oh, my God. Fam, we don't need to argue the impact. It worked. We seen it. We was all about it. It's part of the vendetta. We don't have to like it.
Starting point is 01:43:31 I don't like it either, but it became sling. Stop it. Stop this. That's true. No, I agree with that. So all I'm saying is he did what he needed to do against an opponent that large, that loom that large. I think Royce looms large.
Starting point is 01:43:44 Y'all may not. Certainly larger than Mickey Fax. No disrespect to Mickey Fax. No, I don't even care because I agree with punching up. So that's why I don't want y'all arguing with me because I like punching up. But when you punch up, you have to recognize you're punching up. I do not think that an emcee as talented as Mickey Fax,
Starting point is 01:44:01 because I think he goes, recognize that he was punching up the way he is. He did this in a few days. I have more respect for Royce. The same thing I did with Drake, I would do to Royce. I would go spend the night for days upon days in a studio.
Starting point is 01:44:17 I would think of a response to what I think his response would be. I would be the best I've ever been because that's the respect I have. If I'm listening to this, it don't sound like he treated Royce like that. Wait, let me finish. You don't have to. And that's the point I think y'all are making. You don't have to. But like Park said,
Starting point is 01:44:34 when the Titan returns, stop it. We don't know that he didn't do all that, Joe. We don't know that is what I'm telling you. This is the first record. This could be the jab. I'm not going to come at you with my heart and shit. I the first record This could be the jab I'm not gonna come at you With my heart and shit I might be
Starting point is 01:44:47 This could be the jab To get you to respond And now I'm gonna come at you We don't know We don't know I love you And hopefully you love me Stop it
Starting point is 01:44:59 Fuck that Keep going Yeah you Stop it Fuck that That's Kate That's his Kate talk I started with. That's Kate. That's his Kate talking. I started with Kate.
Starting point is 01:45:06 That's cool. I'm going to always Kate. I'm going to Kate. That's just Kate talking. I'm caping. But you're arguing. It's not just that you're caping. It's an arguing, Kate.
Starting point is 01:45:16 No, but you're acting as if your opinion is more valid because it's Royce. Nigga. I'm not acting like that. Everybody here got an opinion. No. I don't think mine is more valid because it's Royce. Nigga. I'm not acting like that. Everybody here got an opinion. I know. I don't think mine is more valid. So I'm saying that I think that if anybody wrote, if Mickey Fax could have wrote, again, a ether,
Starting point is 01:45:33 if you want to use that, and you would have dissed it because it's Royce over Mickey Fax. Oh, no, that's not true. That's not true. That's not true. That's what I think. I can't prove it, but I think that's true. I don't think this is the hardest shit I've ever heard in my life.
Starting point is 01:45:47 It's not? Does Royce need to respond? He needs to respond. Let me ask all of y'all this. We all are familiar with a bunch of diss records, okay? Yeah. Is the first shot usually the hardest shot all the time? Not all the time.
Starting point is 01:46:01 So why would we assume? It depends on your strategy. We don't know. That's all I'm saying. We don't know that's all i'm saying we don't know nothing no it's good it's not bad i'm not saying it's good rapping it's great this is great rapping it's great rapping all i'm saying is the guy that's used to beef on the great rapper tip and the guy that's used to beef uh and the great rapping tip is leading to me having to have shootouts with my friends
Starting point is 01:46:26 in our hometown, view beef different. The end. That's all I'm saying. So if this is what you think gets that guy to do anything, then round of applause.
Starting point is 01:46:40 And if it don't, come back again. I would like to see him respond to Lupe more than I would like to see him respond to Lupe. More than I would like to see him respond to this. I don't want to see him respond to Lupe. That's what I want. Lupe's too.
Starting point is 01:46:48 That's what I want. That's a formidable... Yeah, that's what I want. Mickey Facts, with all due respect, as great as you are, it is a distraction. Well, actually, Royce did respond to this, though. Oh, yeah, he did say that. He did. He said he was going to go get some of his rapper friends.
Starting point is 01:47:03 He said, goat got friends. See, now, but that's a time consumption thing. Now, no fan will view it that way. But in battle rap, if I'm battling two of y'all, and one of y'all, well, both of y'all are great. But one of y'all is like... Great, great. Great, great. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:47:19 You know how much energy and time consumption and brain power I have to take to come up with a response to him? That's why I asked y'all how long y'all think it took Royce to write what he wrote. Because if you listen to what he wrote, that's not normal brain functioning. Like,
Starting point is 01:47:30 that probably took a minute to pull. I don't think so. No, it did. I'm not a rapper, so I don't care. Whatever energy he pulled, he did a lot of pulling
Starting point is 01:47:40 to do that. I think the aliens can move a little different. They can, but it's a lot. It's still a lot. It's work. That shit was six straight minutes of fucking multi-syllab They can, but it's a lot. It's work. That shit was six straight minutes of fucking multi-syllabic.
Starting point is 01:47:47 Yeah, it's been flows, pockets. Everything made sense. It wasn't just words. Yeah, so now you want me to turn around and do that three days later to a whole other MC, and while I'm doing that to him, the other MC is writing? No, no, no, no, no. Someone else got to take care of Mickey. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:48:02 Let me tap somebody in here. I think that's a time consumption thing. If Royce could do it, I think, and wanted to do it, I think he'd respond to both of them. Yeah. Let me tap somebody in here. I think that's a time consumption thing. If Royce could do it, I think, and wanted to do it, I think he'd respond to both of them. Who do you think he brings in? Probably Crook. I mean, that's just off the top. That's not fair.
Starting point is 01:48:14 I don't want to see that. That's not fair. That ain't what I'm saying. That's not fair. See, but I don't like y'all getting on the that's not fair. I don't think Crook. Punch up, punch up, punch up. I don't think Crook.
Starting point is 01:48:22 Punch up all you want, but I go get my friends. I don't think Crook. I think he brings Vicious. Vicious, probably. That's what punch up, punch up. I don't think crook. Punch up all you want, but I go get my friends. I don't think crook. I think he brings vicious. Vicious probably. I'm going vicious. Yeah, go get vicious. Give your little brother. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:48:31 Give your little brother to deal with, Mickey. Leave me alone, Mickey Facts. And little bros are alien too. Shout out to Vicious. Shout out to Vicious. Vicious can handle it. No, 100.
Starting point is 01:48:39 And wants to. Yeah. If you watch his Instagram for the last, what, five or so years, he's been daring anybody. Yeah. I want to jump in with one of you niggas. Give me a reason. Yeah. If you watch his Instagram for the last, what, five or so years, he's been daring anybody. Yeah. I want to jump in with one of you niggas. Give me a reason.
Starting point is 01:48:49 Yeah. So, yeah. Let little bro handle that. That's what I do. Say my name. All I do is sit home and say they're lucky I'm retired. That's all I ever do when I sit home. You can say that when you're retired, though.
Starting point is 01:49:01 I know. But would you come out and go at Mickey? If I were active? Yeah, if you were active. You're not going to jump my man. Let's see. No, I wouldn't say that when you retired, though. I know. But would you come out and go at Mickey? If I were active? Yeah, if you were active. You're not going to jump my man. Let's see. No, I wouldn't come out. Maybe this, you were active.
Starting point is 01:49:10 Yeah, but I don't get out of bed. I know. I get out of bed if you're jumping my man. And you've been waiting to get him back low key. I think you're the turn green. I'm nice, nice. Still, when I'm home, I'm nice, nice. A couple came to your head already.
Starting point is 01:49:23 I think you're the turn green. You know why I like this record and why I was always in a diss record? When I'm home, I'm nice, nice. A couple came to his head already. I think you would have turned green. Three bars came to his head. You know why I like diss records and why I was always into diss records? Because I could say all the mean things that I've really thought. And it'd be acceptable here. It's a diss, so we could be mean. But I've been thought this shit.
Starting point is 01:49:38 Let me tell you. No, hold up, hold up. Let me tell you. That's Lupe. Right there, what you just said. Lupe the Royce. I've been thought this shit. Good.
Starting point is 01:49:49 Well, I hope he said- That's why his came off that way. I know. I hope he left something in the clip. Lupe Fiasco, I hope you left something in the clip. That's all I'm saying. That is true. That is true. Everybody here is capable and formidable.
Starting point is 01:50:01 Yeah. But when I was fucking with the formidable ones, I was smart enough to know, leave something in the clip. Yeah, you can't shoot. So I look forward to seeing where this goes. Shout out to all parties involved. Just for rapping. Roy, send the stems.
Starting point is 01:50:14 I love it. Just for rapping. Roy, send the stems. Round of applause for rappers. Rapping. I love it. Rapping. Send the stems, Royce.
Starting point is 01:50:21 rapping send the stems Royce I think if Royce get mad at Lupe we might never view Lupe the same maybe I would like that nah I see you to do that
Starting point is 01:50:36 you gotta pull personal shit so you gotta go find some personal shit to really end a nigga like that's what you would do you go get the research I'm pulling out change your heart clips yeah hey fuck with me if you want i'm calling my old bitch to know your old
Starting point is 01:50:53 bitch we gonna bring up that old abortion that you ain't wanting we gonna we do we bringing it up yeah but that's in this land even in this land things change right and i age so it changed like when pusha t said that shit to Drake I was like oh that was below the belt he was so mean yeah some shit
Starting point is 01:51:10 Bray said oh the sun and the sun chips it's like oh no Lupe with that they should have took you
Starting point is 01:51:17 and left this that was below the belt I don't like that stuff I don't it wasn't that if we on that type of time I get it it wasn't that no I'm on that type of time, I get it. It wasn't that.
Starting point is 01:51:26 No, I'm going to ridicule you in rap though. And I'm going to show you what my skills are. I wish you die. I'm going to show you what my skills are. I'm not with an,
Starting point is 01:51:32 and Lupe's Muslim. Like you always just wishing death on another man. Like, he's devout too from what I understand. You just out here wishing death
Starting point is 01:51:42 on another joker. I don't know anything about his belief system. Lupe's still from Chicago, though. Yep. I know. You're supposed to ride off the ****. And then he just climbed a mountain last night.
Starting point is 01:52:00 Hey, listen. Lupe's different. Change the environment sometimes. Clear your head. And let's get a time stamp on let's not just get the joking around fuck y'all talking I ain't even thinking
Starting point is 01:52:17 about that I seen the docs some of them hey buddy I want no sauce alright rolling loud boy were they performing man they were loud
Starting point is 01:52:33 and rolling and rolling good times what else do we have that we have to get through do you want to talk about the olympic shit yeah it's a lot of Olympic shit, actually. Who do we root for now?
Starting point is 01:52:47 In what sport? All of them. I don't think you pick a team. I've been watching the USA men's basketball team on Peacock. Let me tell the audience. They getting their feathers ruffled. Well, that too won and my feathers
Starting point is 01:53:07 were ruffled when Peacock told me I had to pay to continue watching so I paid let me let the audience know
Starting point is 01:53:13 fastest I've ever paid yo that Peacock yeah I'm why I've started watching John Van Geist
Starting point is 01:53:22 Doc okay a killer who killed mad people and is here to talk about it okay they let me see the first episode did you watch then i went to click part two and they told me to get the fuck out of here so i paid and i paid 5.99 i said i can deal with the ads then i couldn't deal with the ads so i upgraded i upgraded i gave a $9.99. Now I'm paying everybody. Everybody has their money from me. Same.
Starting point is 01:53:46 Let me ask you a question. Do you do the yearly or you do the monthly? I do monthly, but I should do yearly. If anybody offers a yearly, they'll get me. Really? Because I'm impulse. I'll buy the yearly and be like, fuck, I don't really need this shit. For me, it'd be a certain shit.
Starting point is 01:54:00 I only watch it for this particular show or whatever, so I cancel it after the month. I do monthly and auto charge. Because I don't want to remember. That's why I do the year. No, you ain't going to get me with that one show I want to see, and now you don't put nothing else out for the rest of the year. No, no. That's how Quibi got me.
Starting point is 01:54:19 Quibi got me. I wanted to see that Clippers doc. What really went on with Donald Sterling? In 10 minutes. That shit went over, went off, and that was... Actually, Quibi had some other shit I wanted to watch, and then they just got rid of it. Folded. They just got rid of it, man.
Starting point is 01:54:35 The McCartney doc on Hulu is great, by the way. Is it? Paul McCartney, Rick Rubin. If you're into music writing, songwriting production. Oh, I got to watch that, man. See how he came up with Mike's fortune. They didn't touch upon the beef. No, you don't say.
Starting point is 01:54:50 I do want to see that, though. Shout out to Paul. It looks good. I finished Dr. Death. Okay. I finished Dr. Death. It was great. It was real good.
Starting point is 01:55:00 Every now and then I come across one. I'm like, this is good to me, but I know he's going to love it. Dr. Death made me leave the John Van Nys doc. So Dr. Death was real good. We're talking about the Olympics. The Olympics. Simone. Simone bowed out of the women's conference semifinals.
Starting point is 01:55:20 Everything. Everything, I think, yeah. Well, she just left. And the first thing we heard was that she was injured she was hurt with a physical injury those were the first reports and then she has come out to say it was more of a mental health thing and she wasn't feeling right uh after going through a few practices and trying to get in her right state of mind. Oh, this is a quote from her. I'm looking for the quote. Don't show me what these white press outlets have to say about such a black issue.
Starting point is 01:55:52 There it is. This Olympic Games. This Olympic Games, I wanted it to be for myself when I came in, and I felt like I was still doing it for other people. Bows 24 said as she cried after the team event on tuesday it was the first time the americans had not won gold at a world championships or olympics since 2010 so that just like hurts my heart she continues because doing what i love has been kind of taken away from me to please other people and that's a heavy weight to bear by by the way. For her, it's an impossible weight.
Starting point is 01:56:28 Because they keep moving the goalposts for her. So if anybody else put on the performances that she puts on, you get, fuck, gold stars. They be reaching the platinum to give you some shit. With her, they are openly saying, yo, she's so good. We lowering, we downgrading her no yeah like we she's so good and so far ahead of everybody else she's being held at a different standard so what like what are you really shooting for penalized for being great yeah like you can't you can't win you want to lose lose so when you come out there and you're doing better shit than anybody else and you stumble it's like a record i mean it's like a aha moment like yo fam i'm trying shit nobody's trying so it's 50 50 or it's 80 20
Starting point is 01:57:11 if i'm gonna stick it and i'm still being held to normal gymnast standards when i'm trying shit that nobody else could try and it's not fair like it's a lose-lose for me i gotta damn near be perfect in every single aspect of life i I'm just glad. Even being perfect. Even being perfect, I'm still going to get a 9.8. Exactly. It's still not enough to recognize my true greatness. Imagine what the fuck that's doing to your mentals. No matter what I
Starting point is 01:57:37 do, it's not going to be good enough. I'm just glad that ever since the Sha'Carri Richardson event, it seems like the Olympics has just been having bomb after bomb not bomb nah you know what it is
Starting point is 01:57:48 not just that not even that I just think that where we are in society motherfuckers are starting to take control of their own lives Naomi Osaka
Starting point is 01:57:58 Sha'Carri Richardson Simone now people are realizing that the athletes LeBron and them yeah LeBron and them are setting the stage for fuck y'all
Starting point is 01:58:07 Damian Lillard has the whole Portland organization running around their summer's over if they don't get DeMar DeRozan or somebody
Starting point is 01:58:14 they might as well pack it up DeMar DeRozan's just a consolation prize when you lose one of them you said what no no no
Starting point is 01:58:20 I'm talking in addition to in addition to they gotta get him there with people for Dame to have help I'm talking in addition to. In addition to. They got to get him there with people for Dame to have help. I'm just saying Dame could finally wait. Dame, the one who says, Portland till I die. Y'all been running from the work. I'm loyal.
Starting point is 01:58:34 When Dame says, yo dog, I don't know if the organization is doing enough. Know what the organization has to do now? Enough. Or at least make it look like it. More than enough. Give me a fighting chance. Who do you out there? Oh, we're not finished
Starting point is 01:58:48 with the Olympics, but... Yeah, who do we root for now? We have nobody left in anything. What free agents are out there? Canada. I'm rooting for Jamaica. Jamaica. And everything.
Starting point is 01:59:00 Jamaica's out there. Luca and I will probably take it. Take what? What are we talking about? The Olympics? Yeah. That's a safe bet. I don't care.
Starting point is 01:59:15 Yeah, now that you're saying it. Y'all sitting here. Y'all trying it. Y'all can give y'all opinions and then we'll just continue to move on. As long as I can see the basketball games, they're still in it. I'm not interested in this. Y'all have taken away all the people I'm interested in. I'm cool.
Starting point is 01:59:28 I'm good. Have a blast with your advertisement shindigs. Where are we going? Wherever you want. Wherever you want. Off of the Olympics. We went to the Simone shit. Well, wait.
Starting point is 01:59:44 We can't leave the Olympics. Why? What is going on? No, no, no, no, no, no. We're not just skating over Team USA basketball like this. People have been pointing out shit since Exhibition. You know, you're losing here. You're losing here.
Starting point is 01:59:56 You know, they'll get it right for the Olympics. Now you're losing the Olympics. Like, there's a bigger issue here. They don't care, I think. No, I think they care. No, they care. For some of those egos on that court to lose to these quote-unquote
Starting point is 02:00:08 teams that are supposed to be subpar, niggas give a fuck. These are competitors. Like KD, Draymond, these niggas. This is the best of the best. You're already the best in the NBA. They're competitors, yo. I think it's a lack of caring plus the last two years
Starting point is 02:00:24 of the NBA has been a lot of work and a lot of short period of time. So what the experts, the quote unquote experts are chalking it up to is that the U.S. game has gotten so soft now that overseas you don't get no James Harden fouls. You're not getting a ticky tack fouls and they're saying that the U.S. can't play through it. So they don't know how to play with the pushes. They don't know how to play with the tugs and the pull. Don't do that. They're used to the refs bailing them out every time. And so now when you're over here, we're playing the international shit. You touch me, it's a foul.
Starting point is 02:00:57 It's real softball. That's valid. I'm not out here with these boys. That's valid. That's a good point. And they want to beat you. You know what I'm saying? Every team USA's going up against wants to be the one. Like, everybody want to beat you on that. Oh, of course.
Starting point is 02:01:12 Another point I saw one of the analysts make that was interesting was that, forget about the tic-tac-y fouls. Even in the NBA, the last few, however many MVPs have all been international, the last few defensive player of the years have been international. And further than that, even the runner-ups have been international. Good point. Between fucking MB, Ben Simmons, Luka, Greek Freak, Jovich. Like, we seeing what's going on in the league.
Starting point is 02:01:44 I mean, and it started with Yao Ming for me, where there was a concentrated effort in going to get the billions of people in China and integrating them to our league. And then it worked. Yao Ming got outvoted Shaq for the All-Star Game year one, season one. He might have sat out half the games, and he was the starter. This wasn't even a competition. Them votes
Starting point is 02:02:07 were way up. And then from there, later on, we got the deal with China. The TV deal. Now we got rights. We branching out. If you want to scale, you got to go other places. And the NBA started doing that and now they're reaping the benefits
Starting point is 02:02:23 and everyone is getting paid. Everyone. But the team, the Olympic team, is going to take an L. I get it. And I don't even know that they'll take an L. Like, they're not done because they lost that game. That's true. If they win the next two, then they're in.
Starting point is 02:02:37 Like, and they have enough talent to get it done. I'm hearing a lot about they had a problem with running the Spurs offense. They said Popovich has been coaching since 2017, so the other coaches in the other countries, they kind of got his number a little bit. And they're saying you're not letting them flourish. You're not letting the players on the team flourish. Those skill sets that the Spurs, you know, that shit is a system.
Starting point is 02:03:00 Yeah. He might not have the best athletes. He might not have the most skilled motherfuckers. They run the system but you get more with less when you got these certified snipers you gotta let them get busy sometimes
Starting point is 02:03:13 and that system shit with a Durant type of joker and all these other jokers it might not be the benefit of their skill sets that make sense I gotta give credit to Drew Holiday who played the entire finals and came right to the Olympics To
Starting point is 02:03:27 If he doesn't start I don't know what's going on Like He came and got the bulk Of the minutes Yeah And looked fine doing it Looked great
Starting point is 02:03:35 When I saw that I was like yo No days off These niggas is Athlete athletes Yeah You know what I'm saying They world class athletes
Starting point is 02:03:41 And he a little older He 31 That's a shame That that's a little older. He 31. It's a shame that that's a little older. In NBA talk. I know. In NBA talk. In athlete years, that's old. Chris Middleton, too.
Starting point is 02:03:53 Middleton. Yeah. Salute to them guys, man. That's a lot. That's dope. Even considering coming off of last year. Word. Like, that's just a lot on your body.
Starting point is 02:04:02 Hell yeah. Your body's a machine. You know what I'm saying? That's a lot of wear and tear on you I agree alright what else we got Joe you got the docket
Starting point is 02:04:10 where we at on time oh okay so we can keep talking then let's see here blue face beat up a tiktoker I don't care I don't care
Starting point is 02:04:20 nope not my business you a fuck I thought he should've did it faster he might've needed? Fuck. I thought he should have did it faster. He might have needed a blue face. I thought he should have did it better than he did it. Trying to do a blue face. But let's see.
Starting point is 02:04:33 Yeah, yeah, yeah. Man, somebody tried to jump in there. Okay, Con Simone. Up, up, up, up, up. Uh-oh. I cared about this. I don't know if anybody else will. I think that's a murder doc.
Starting point is 02:04:43 But no, no, no. This was, I told you I really liked the Normani song featuring Cardi. With the one in a million, I want to say sample, but maybe not a sample. Inspiration. Yeah. Yeah, no, they're going to sue her. That was definitely one in a million. But when I played that record here, one of y'all i don't
Starting point is 02:05:06 remember who said i don't know why cardi's on that record y'all said she didn't need to be there i argued against that because i like the ratchet girl rapper on the sultry r&b record right i love that shit especially if they kill it but apparently a lot of normani's fans feel the same way. So they have been tweeting and interacting with Cardi nonstop, just getting at her, saying, yo, you trash. Get off this record. Damn. Just get off the song. We didn't need you on this song.
Starting point is 02:05:36 They didn't like the verse, or they were like a younger crowd. We didn't need you on this song. You didn't do it is what they're saying. And it's what they're tweeting. You know, fans tweet ruthless shit. Yeah, they be mean as fuck. Did you hear the other critique that they were having about Cardi on the record, though? They accused Normani and Cardi of, I believe the term is called queerbaiting.
Starting point is 02:05:57 Saying that the scenes that they were too close. Yeah, here's a new word they found. Yes. Bro, this shit, no new word they found. Yes. Bro, this shit, nah, it's different. Yes.
Starting point is 02:06:09 They were too close and the scenes that they were mimicking were in attempt to gain support from the LGBTQ community. So they're saying, and Cardi responded like,
Starting point is 02:06:19 yo, I'm hot in a baby bump. Like, the fuck is she talking about? And she said, she's been told y'all she's bisexual. Let me,
Starting point is 02:06:26 let me tell them. Cardi fucks girls, y'all. Yeah, like, the fuck is you talking about? And has told and said this.
Starting point is 02:06:36 Hey, yo, it's too many opinions from the internet. Shut the fuck up. Right. Nah, shit. You don't have to just talk all the internet. Shut the fuck up. Right. Nah, shit. You don't have to just talk all the time.
Starting point is 02:06:49 Just cause. No, that was a publication. Man, long Cardi's been fucking girls. That was a publication. Like, goddamn. But anyway, so the point is this. Cardi's going on a rant because artists are sensitive, especially she's pregnant. See what I mean?
Starting point is 02:07:02 No, she's human. And pregnant. You know what I'm saying? know i'm pregnant she's a pregnant human emotions are high and i don't need to read all this bullshit right so cardi flip she said enough is enough yo normani fans i love her and i love this song but y'all keep playing with me and i'm gonna call my label and get them to and her, and remove my vocals from this song. Which is going to affect your album. So y'all better think about if you really hate me on this song.
Starting point is 02:07:32 Because I'm going to do it. I'm going to take me off the video. I'm going to take me off everything. So shut the fuck up. And know what they did? They shut the fuck up. They shut the fuck up. Look how that works.
Starting point is 02:07:44 That's what a lot of people need to do. Shut the fuck up. They shut the fuck up. Look how that works. That's what a lot of people need to do. Shut the fuck up. Yeah. That's it. Shutting up works sometimes. No, I'm shocked. Ain't nothing but a little bit of straightening. Why are you shocked?
Starting point is 02:07:57 If I'm a Normani fan, I want her to win. This song is great. It's probably the biggest look she's had in a while. I'm ignorant saying it because I don't know. But it's a great look. Everybody's receiving receiving it well here come the fans fucking something up for the artist yo why you got that person on there yo take them off no but that's your logical brain when it comes to a motherfucker sitting at home behind a computer with nothing to do they don't give a fuck that adds more fuel to their fire. If you was thinking from a logical, rational space,
Starting point is 02:08:26 you wouldn't be dissing this girl anyway that you know is pregnant. You get what I'm saying? Then there's that, yeah. So her saying, yo, y'all keep playing with me, they'd be like, all right, Ian. No, you're right. So I'm saying I'm happy that that happened,
Starting point is 02:08:40 but I'm shocked. And I agree with what Cardi said in her response. Like, y'all don't buy shit. Y'all don't request. Y'all don't request y'all don't stream you just sit here and pop shit it's all you do you just sit here and spew off shit because it's because it's free to tweet dog that's what the baby said too in his in his uh response vid he was like yo anything i do at the show is for the people at the show y'all like the people that paid their money to come see y'all home y'all y'all just watching some shit for free talking channel the show. Y'all at home. Like the people that paid their money to come see y'all at home, y'all. Y'all just watching some shit
Starting point is 02:09:06 for free talking, don't give a fuck what y'all say. Even on the fucking, the pod comments, the shit that they be saying, you're like, what? Yo, it's gonna shoot them niggas. I keep trying to tell you
