Starting point is 00:11:16 but I knew that was coming nah did you did you know it was coming like that yeah I knew that was coming fam I know the gangs to stay away from
Starting point is 00:11:23 I'm just not your hall so when I got something to say i say it i know that the bts army is powerful yeah there's them there's the wrestlemania gang gotta leave them alone leave the anime anime gang leave them alone the gamers leave him alone who else is it the Navy leave him alone the Beehive of course
Starting point is 00:11:49 the Barbs Mary J. Blige stands I don't know what they call it but leave him alone I can see no I'm literally not y'all laughing no I said Mary
Starting point is 00:11:57 that's Rihanna the Navy the Mary stands they up there with the rest of them I promise you no they was on my ass it was on my ass. It was on my ass.
Starting point is 00:12:07 I woke up when the pod came out. I thought it was smooth. And I remembered. It's probably a different time over there. When they get up. They're going to let me know when they get up. They did? And they did.
Starting point is 00:12:20 It was cursing them out in characters, bro. I was like, what the fuck is this? But I own it. Listen, I have all the respect in the world for the bts fans because outside of y'all that took the opportunity to start calling me a nigger man holy shit the rest of y'all were so polite in your grievance with me and for that round of applause man for that round of applause all it takes is a music take to bring the fucking nigger out. Somebody did that for real? Yes, there's hateful people in the world.
Starting point is 00:12:52 And I understand the way it came out. Listen, I apologize. I'll be the first to admit to my ignorance. I didn't know the K in front of K-pop was for Korea. How would I know that? I get how you would. They don't ever say Korean pop. They just call it K-pop. They call it K-pop. How do I know what I get how you would they don't ever say Korean pop they just call it K-pop they call it K-pop
Starting point is 00:13:07 how do I know what the K stands for I didn't know that either I think that I didn't even try to be funny I didn't know that but I do want to apologize to the people that only saw that clip for my ignorance
Starting point is 00:13:18 because that's what they're gonna do you understand it there y'all was teaching me words. You called me a xenophobe. I had no idea what that was. I had to look it up.
Starting point is 00:13:29 Sorry. You knew what that was? Hello? You? Yeah, of course I do. Of course. Of course you did. It's your point to tell us.
Starting point is 00:13:40 Worldly-ish. Let's know he read every time I read. Is he in the Guinness? Oh, man. And somebody said, when we going to teach Ish how to whistle? They said your whistle is trash? I would never say that about him because I can't whistle for nothing. That was one of the things I failed at trying to do when i was just young a sarcastic whistle i'm not out here
Starting point is 00:14:10 trying to be fucking but you could if you wanted to let them know you can get a good whistle off if you want it oh my god that sounds horrible dislike or prejudice uh against people from other countries oh my god i don't think that what you said was that yeah at all you know they just find the worst fucking... They never... What happened to just my bad? Yo, I made a mistake. I didn't know.
Starting point is 00:14:29 That don't exist no more. They just always go right to the worst possible thing you could be. Right. A xenophobe? My bad don't exist no more, though. Like, I didn't know my fault. I wasn't trying... Intent don't matter.
Starting point is 00:14:43 Yeah. Today. Fam, most of that shit was in jest and then fun anyway. Yeah. That's a podcast built around. That part too. Well, that's what we got. But we constantly.
Starting point is 00:14:52 All right. Come on. Y'all know we quick to say you can't. Somebody can take it how they want. That is true. So, yeah, it was in jest, but somebody might not take it in jest. That is true. I agree. that's all
Starting point is 00:15:06 I come in peace today to the army to the BTS legion of fans you gotta give them some dynamite or something there that's what you gotta do I gotta give them something right
Starting point is 00:15:19 yeah you gotta give them something that's your Zype peace offering my sleeper today. There you go. There you go. There you go. I'll give him a verse or something.
Starting point is 00:15:34 Nah, because there was some of the fans that was like trying to show me some slaps. Like, Jonah, they worked their way up from, and this is where they come from. I know you just don't know, but check it out. I'm telling you a champion. I love those fans. Yes. The fans are like a fan. A real fan. I want to teach. I love those fans. Yes. The fans are like a fan. A real fan.
Starting point is 00:15:47 I want to teach. I love this person. You might have missed it. Here are some reasons why I think you might enjoy this person too. Right. I love those kind of fans as opposed to the gatekeeping fans. They're the worst. I want my favorite artists to get popular and more recognition, but I don't want anybody new.
Starting point is 00:16:06 Anytime someone new comes in, I have to remind you that you wasn't there from day one. That's nastiness. Fuck, that's a contradiction. It's fan privilege, though. It's privilege in everything. It's fan privilege. Shit's stupid to me.
Starting point is 00:16:17 You like doing that, too. You used to be that guy. No, I would instruct you. Yo, yeah, but go back and listen to this. Nah, Ice has been good at that. Yeah, you like this? Check it out. He was doing this, this, this, and, but go back and listen to this. No, Ice has been good at that. Yeah, you like this. Check it out. He was doing this, this, this, and this.
Starting point is 00:16:27 Go check this out, too. I'm quick to tell you that. I'm not a gatekeeper. More fans, the better. I want my favorites to be popular. So, yeah, I want you to get more fans. I agree with that. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:16:38 Also, while we're on the subject of apologies, I want to send a big apology to Dawn and the South Carolina Gamecocks. A round of applause for what you accomplished. And while I was still on my St. Peter's high, I said, shout out to the
Starting point is 00:16:54 South Carolina Peacocks. I think we were all on the same island. Yeah. I didn't even... It's a Jersey thing. We didn't mean anything by that.
Starting point is 00:17:03 Apologies. No disrespect Our bad Indeed I know a lot of Former cocks too man They'd be upset with me For missing that one
Starting point is 00:17:11 Yeah I know they've taken the I'll allow a second For us to be immature Yeah Pause I'm not letting him get that Thank you You don't have to pause man
Starting point is 00:17:19 Bye No I was pausing myself Yeah you had to pause yourself Oh please don't Unpause What? Can you unpause? No, I was pausing myself. Yeah, he had to pause himself. Oh, please don't. Unpause. What? Can you unpause? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:17:30 Why I can't unpause? It's over. It's over for your dogs. I hate it, yo. Gerard Carmichael stepped all over your shit. Yeah, no, I ain't like that neither. He took my shit, made it a little saucier. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:17:41 All right, man, whatever. Shout out to Dawn and South Carolina Gamecocks. Our bad. Congrats. Yes, congratulations. Congratulations again. Well deserved. And that's that.
Starting point is 00:17:51 Where would you gentlemen like to begin today? Anywhere you want. The world is you guys'. You want to start with music? Or you want to start with some funnies? Or you want to start with... Saturday politics. Some golf analysis, perhaps?
Starting point is 00:18:03 Saturday. Saturday. Oh, listen. not even analysis. We walk in and the Masters is on, right? And I've been paying attention to this because they've been dying for Tiger Woods to be present at the Masters. Do we have to change that word too?
Starting point is 00:18:15 Like the bedroom? What? The Masters. Like the bedrooms. In Augusta, Georgia. Ooh. Uh-oh. Y'all cooking now? No, he was Ooh. Uh-oh. Y'all cooking now?
Starting point is 00:18:27 No, he was trying to start with some fun. That's funny. Well, no, we don't have to do nothing about this. They're going to change the name of the Masters since now he's black. But they don't let him be black. That was Tiger with that stupid, you know, I don't know him be black. That was Tiger with that stupid, you know,
Starting point is 00:18:46 I don't know how I feel. That was him, right? Yeah, that was him. Yeah, but we say the same thing, Nike, with that 10 billion in front of your face. Shit. What you want me to be? Them niggas just sold me out
Starting point is 00:18:59 for a slaughterhouse project. They know what the fuck would be going on. And Nike pulled up to them. Yo. You fucking, You shitting me? The fuck are you talking about? Niggas always like to have morals on these podcasts. Like, oh, that's ridiculous.
Starting point is 00:19:17 Nobody ever says, yo, I would do that. Yo, if they get you $50 million, what happens? Not $50. I'm not doing nothing for 50 I'm not going against my core they gave you 500 million no not 500
Starting point is 00:19:30 nah I think you money for 500 yeah nah because y'all don't know me y'all don't know my goals y'all don't know the value I attach to them no we all got goals
Starting point is 00:19:37 but okay but mine I'm not going against my moral compass for 500 M's I think my talent can get me that I think my thinking
Starting point is 00:19:44 can get me that I agree with my thinking can get me that. I agree with that. Now, if you start talking about- But it's a little shortcut though, though. You know what I mean? Yeah, but that's where integrity comes from. Fam, if you took a shortcut to your 500 M's, then them three bill, four bill will be in your sights.
Starting point is 00:19:59 The alternate route is a long one. I know. But it ultimately gets you to the same place. And the people that choose the shortcut, people like me, we judge them a little bit. You might say, yo, I ain't black. I'm a Jersey City Orient. For following him. What's your number, though?
Starting point is 00:20:20 We've a lot on me. What's yours? Parks, what's yours? Ice, what's yours? Four mics on this pod. Enough of that. To say I'm not black? To say I'm not poor. No, no, no, no, no, no. Tell me what the yours Parks what's yours Ice what's yours four mics on this pod enough of that to say I'm not black to say I'm not poor
Starting point is 00:20:27 no no no no no don't do that that's what he did I know that's what he did but his number was 10 billion in front of Nike and he said I just don't know
Starting point is 00:20:34 which way I am like that's what he did I'm saying whatever's in your heart okay whatever that is cause that's you know different morals
Starting point is 00:20:40 have different price points I think you know what I'm saying like which moral some of the morals is cheap which moral are we selling out? I sell some of these shits for cheap. One of your top morals. Shoot. Look, I'm good.
Starting point is 00:20:51 See? Niggas is... Fam, that's... You can put a number on it. Give me a number. You had mad numbers for mine. Yo, I said it in fun, you bum-ass nigga. Oh, but I was answering for real.
Starting point is 00:21:03 That was. That's why I wouldn't take the 500 M's. I'm answering for real. 500 M's. To say I'm not black? No. There's no. I'm not black.
Starting point is 00:21:10 No, we can't do it. You got to say what you said for morals. All right, you're not black. 500? Five zero zero? Zero zero zero. Zero zero zero. Nigga, black what?
Starting point is 00:21:27 What is black? Black is a color you don't identify with. I don't even identify. I'm gray. I don't identify as a color. It's disgusting. I'm green. She'd be ashamed.
Starting point is 00:21:36 I'm green, actually. She'd be ashamed. It's okay. Wow. I'll be ashamed counting. Forgive me. Listen, somebody's going to be honest. 500 M's?
Starting point is 00:21:46 What if she didn't? What if she didn't forgive you? 500 M's, you can't speak to your family no more for the rest of your life, parents included. 500 M's, they might not want to speak to me no more. The shit I'm going to be doing, 500 M's up, I'm setting the whole ancestry back. They're going to be like, yo, we got to get him out of here. This nigga is bad.
Starting point is 00:22:07 They're not going to want me to be black. They're going to try to put me off on somebody else. Parks, how much to hand in your whiteness to never be white again?
Starting point is 00:22:15 Oh, no, that's expensive. Never be white? See, and that's the problem with our country. That's the problem. Damn it. Oh, man, yo. I still want a number.
Starting point is 00:22:26 Come on. Yo, y'all do that a lot. I gave you my number. I told you. I know, I know. You did. I'm here. These two over here, man.
Starting point is 00:22:33 Yeah, they too good. Oh, but what was my point in bringing up Tiger Woods? Oh, so Tiger Woods, we walk in, he's on the Masters, right? Round of applause for Tiger. Round of applause for Tiger being on the Masters. Playing well. Playing well. He was only a couple strokes down.
Starting point is 00:22:51 Pause, if required. You know, he did well. But I have this article that explains, where's this article at? That explains that Tiger is not wearing Nikes on his feet uh oh give me the suspense music uh

Woods laced up in an all-black Foot Joy Packard model shoe rather than his usual Nike swoosh when taking the course. Was it a mistake? Is there controversy brewing? Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. A mistake. Not exactly.
Starting point is 00:23:37 Whoops. Woods asked about his shoe choice ahead of the Masters and kept his answer brief. He said, and I quote, I have very limited mobility now with the rods and plates and screws that are in my leg. I needed something different, something that allowed me to be more stable, and that's what I've gone to. Woods added that he and Nike are working on a new design
Starting point is 00:23:56 and expect something to be completed soon. As soon as they purchase Lovejoy. Nike's been fantastic over the years of providing me with equipment, and we have worked, we've been working on trying to find something to allow me to do this and swing again we're still going to continue doing it and hopefully we'll have something soon so the nigga version of that is tiger woods went to nike said yo dog whatever the fuck y'all been putting on my feet i know we have a deal in place but i am unable to perform in that and if y'all can't come up with something quick enough then guess what none of us
Starting point is 00:24:30 have a choice here i gotta wear the foot joys so i'm wearing foot joys now i have a working theory that nike accepted that from tiger because what choice did you have yeah i placed it by mistake what choice do you have if tiger woods is saying i can't perform in your shit yeah well you got a few choices you can call the production company that videotaping the masters and say hey don't you dare don't you fucking dare show those foot joys on tiger woods feet until we come up with a proper replacement or until we buy the company. So now we only seeing
Starting point is 00:25:09 Tiger foot from the back the front. They only show the side when it's like about 40-50 feet away. You see the little joint of the sweater loud and clear though. Oh the swoosh. And the hat. But look fam. Whoever came up with that Tiger Woods logo for that hat, Fam, it's timeless.
Starting point is 00:25:27 Yeah, that shit is amazing. Anytime he pop up with that TW on a hat, you know what it is. Yeah, you know what time it is. Fam, they had a countdown on the screen for when he takes his first swing. He walked out there and bent down to tie his shoes, and the camera jumped up fast as hell. Like, no, no, no, we won't get that shot. No, no. Crazy. They ain't show Tiger Woods tying his shoe they showed him crashing into a
Starting point is 00:25:50 tree and they won't show him tying his shoe not those shoes I know the Masters was in bad shape cause when I was watching it was a split screen Tiger on the top and some nigga named Amen on the bottom they was praying to God for viewership.
Starting point is 00:26:08 I have never heard of, find out who Amen is. Amen Corner. I bet it is a place. Amen Corner. They was in the corner with some amens, all right.
Starting point is 00:26:24 Yeah, they sure were. What is wrong with this guy? Nah, they was in the corner with some amens, all right. Yeah, they sure were. What is wrong with this guy? Nah, they was in the corner amening. I've been there before with my buddies when we tried to scrape up some money for Nick. For Nick LeBat. How much money your mom's got in the couch? 98 cents.
Starting point is 00:26:37 Yeah, I know. I got about 93 cents over here. Oh, man. Oh, man. All right. Oh, man. They was praying. Yo, you stupid.
Starting point is 00:26:45 Hey, they was praying. Hey, the Grammys numbers came back, man. Oh, shit. All right. Man, they was praying. Yo, you stupid. Hey, they was praying. Hey, the Grammys numbers came back, too. Mighty Low. Mighty Low. Lil Duvall. They could have paid somebody to smack somebody. Mighty Low. You know it's hip-hop.
Starting point is 00:26:59 In hip-hop, we could fabricate some shit better than Hollywood, probably, if we try hard enough. Now they're saying they're banning Will Smith from the Oscars for 10 years. 10 years. 10 years. They probably had 10 plus years. What a way to say thank you. Most coverage, most press. Most coverage.
Starting point is 00:27:16 Did they really reap the benefits, though? Yeah, probably. I don't know how that shit worked. Oh, before we continue We're going on tour Yes we are Soon April 28th
Starting point is 00:27:29 Yeah So April 28th We're in Houston May 1st We're in Dallas May 28th We are in LA And May 29th
Starting point is 00:27:37 We're in Oakland Shout out to y'all Can't wait to see y'all JoeButtonPodcastTour.com Ticketmaster Wherever you get The good stuff from That's where it will be Let me see y'all. JoeButtonPodcastTour.com, Ticketmaster, wherever you get the good stuff from. That's where it will be.
Starting point is 00:27:47 Let me ask y'all, y'all. If you Will Smith, after I've already resigned, and then y'all come out and say. She's coming to the table. She's going to be at the red table. Oh, shit. Would you say she has been instrumental in you and I redefining our relationship? I would say don't just start filming me without asking no that's dead ass if you could film us again please i'm still dealing with still taping don't no no
Starting point is 00:28:14 she yeah because she don't just would you say that she helped us heal the hurts that you know answer my question my social media presence is my bread and butter. You can't just use me for social media and not don't just start rolling. I'm standing in my house. Don't just start rolling. Please watch a stare
Starting point is 00:28:36 at the red table because she's helped us a lot. Can't you tell? He's at my house. Ten years is a lot. For a little smackety smack. Do you care if he will, Smith? Huh? Do you care?
Starting point is 00:28:52 Hell no. No. Okay. That was my question. I was getting to it. Well, no, no. Time out. Time out.
Starting point is 00:28:58 Time out. Depends. You might not care being ice. He cares because of what is attached to it. I believe the rumors about certain film houses not wanting to work with him anymore like I believe the rumors about Netflix slowing down production Sony slowing down production of some of his films and I think that's a direct correlation to the academy's uh view listen with some of these groups we know you get perks we know you
Starting point is 00:29:24 get relationships we know you get relationships we know you get and that's what all of them so if you're not the academy is not fucking with you then there are some production homes that probably are not fucking with you too and that's the downside of that if we just talk about the oscars and academy events then of course will smith that's a good point i'm home with my. But if this is going to affect my livelihood, as we just heard him say, my social media presence is my bread and butter. Like, I'm trying to protect it. And we saw him slap somebody.
Starting point is 00:29:52 I didn't think about that. That's a good point. Remember when King Richard first came out? My stance was, yo, he looks nothing like him. He doesn't sound like him. He's not the best at doing voices and accents. But the draw is he's not the best at doing voices and accents but the draw is he's will smith so if that's going to tamper with potentially those same movie houses coming to get
Starting point is 00:30:13 him because he is will smith and if we might not i don't know the ramifications behind him being banned i don't know if his performances are still eligible for an award he just might not be able to show up i don't think they are. Even if they are, they're not going to be. You know what I'm saying? Yeah, that's what I'm saying. That'll make me stay away. And the other problem with that is the roles that Will Smith is accustomed to playing,
Starting point is 00:30:35 which are triumphant, stories of glory, just stories of black excellence. That's where we normally see Will Smith. And today, having that guy smack the shit out of somebody at the oscars now we have to look at your viable replacements off brand i say all the time on here hey when you be arrogant when you walk in and put your dick on the table when you just start getting on your shit that's cool there's nothing wrong with that but you have to know who your replacements are as well and i think today i think they probably were rolling out i am legend to have will smith introduce michael b jordan as the guy this is the guy that we're giving these roles to now so you got niggas out
Starting point is 00:31:19 here where there's viable options it's only really one in my opinion for certain roles because like will smith does the handsome you talking about all right you're right you talking about you talking about actors yeah and i'm talking about the business of actors acting wise yeah it ain't but it ain't a long list of people that can do what Will Smith has done in these roles but I also think he got some of those roles because of his standing with the academy
Starting point is 00:31:54 and if you don't have that and now Michael B. Jordan does I don't know because I'm not in the acting world but or Don Cheadle does or the other black actor does whoever they go and unearth, then now we in a bad spot. And hopefully this doesn't affect
Starting point is 00:32:10 his social media business. I hope Will is all right. 10 years is a long time. And playing that clip, I don't know if you want to jump into it, but in playing that clip, I saw it. And I sent it to everybody.
Starting point is 00:32:20 Yeah. He looks broken in the clip. He looks broken. I've heard... Oh, I'm sorry. He wasn't in the best He looks broken like I've heard I'm sorry He wasn't in the best of spirits He said what he said His wife dismissed him like
Starting point is 00:32:31 Oh here we go with the bullshit Foolishness Whatever nigga Like That clip further cements for me I don't want to see him on Red Table I do not I know I'm Will Smithed out
Starting point is 00:32:39 I know a lot of us are Will Smithed out I do not Everyone's had a take We've seen it We've heard it It's been overdone. I sympathize with him. A couple things I heard about that particular clip is, one, it's old.
Starting point is 00:32:51 It was an old promo clip. I thought it was like a deep take. I don't like that take. It would need to be old for buildup to happen. No, but the other part of that take was it was like satire. They were making fun of this to promote her, whatever guests they were having on the red table. Truth in every joke. Not just that.
Starting point is 00:33:14 He didn't get the joke. No, listen. If they was fake. Listen, a joke ain't a joke if we never get serious. No, he didn't look like he was joking if we never get serious listen we've seen
Starting point is 00:33:28 the conclusion of the movie so so now you start looking at little pieces yeah even if it was a joke then
Starting point is 00:33:35 might have been a joke but it certainly helped lead to something nah I agree with that you're right that's all new music
Starting point is 00:33:43 let's get the music let's do it come on Fabio album dropped yo come on let's. Come on, Fabio album dropped, yo. Come on, let's get to it. Okay. Fabio album dropped. Did you listen to it? I heard something.
Starting point is 00:33:50 Park, did you hear it? I did. I listened. Ice, did you hear it? I listened to the entire project. This is the most polished sounding trap drill, drilled Brooklyn drill shit I've ever heard in my life. That's a compliment.
Starting point is 00:34:01 Shout out to Mike Dean who mixed it and all the producers. I tried not to. I wanted to come in here last part, I told you, and say that I was nervous for this album. Just off the track list. And I try to never do that. But when I saw 17 records and 14 of them had features, I got nervous. I don't know what to expect. That's a lot of outside of and not just you on the project
Starting point is 00:34:27 so I went in not knowing what to expect I it was cool it wasn't I was highly anticipating this album I think just seeing the track list
Starting point is 00:34:39 kind of threw me back a little bit but in listening it was cool I'm it's not something I'm going to be running back to a lot threw me back a little bit. But in listening, it was cool. It's not something I'm going to be running back to a lot. There's maybe three records that stuck out to me. But for the most part, I was kind of good on this project.
Starting point is 00:34:56 Really? I liked it. I mean, this isn't my preferred genre as it is yours. But I appreciate the attempt to make it something more um digestible i do well that's what that's what ish said he wanted from favio sure no and that and that's what puts me right at this crossroad because i understood exactly where ish was coming from when he said that but i was like yo the niggas that want to hear this, that's what we want to hear. And then he comes out and he answers Ish's concern. And I have a problem with that. You felt it was too far left?
Starting point is 00:35:35 Nothing sounded left to me. It didn't sound like he was uncomfortable. It didn't sound like he went too far away from his comfortable normal pocket everything had the same bop and feel for the most part that's everything just cleaner just cleaner everything that he's on it's like it's tailored to him even a feature record i was brought it up when we talked about the city girls record if you listen to any record that favio's on the kanye records anything the beat before he raps and the beat while he's rapping are two different beats
Starting point is 00:36:09 like it's it's tailored for him to ride that beat so i don't think he's ever gonna feel uncomfortable on anything because they actually tailor the beat for him for his verse for him to grow i think that that will need to change i agree i think that by his sophomore album that should stop where the beat is catered to his rhyme scheme i'm with you 100 because then some of the records on here that were supposed to sound and feel different then you can actually explore them sounding and feeling different. But it's just tough to accomplish that when it's the same cadence.
Starting point is 00:36:52 The cadence on damn near all the songs is the same. All the ones that I heard. And they are extremely clean and polished. All of the features did make sense to me. I listened to the whole album. Yeah, me too. The features made sense to me, so I wasn't mad at those either. But my favorite records are the ones where he's...
Starting point is 00:37:11 The solo records are my favorite. Yeah, yeah. Let me find the track list. My favorite shit was Feel My Struggle. It was my favorite one. Love Feel My Struggle. I like Change On Me a lot. I like Worldwatch, and I like the intro a lot uh i like all the
Starting point is 00:37:27 records that were released prior to so that's the single magic city yeah i wasn't mad at through the fire it's a good album i'm not even mad at hello also when i was listening to this a lot of samples this album sounds expensive i've noticed too that that's kind of becoming a thing not even necessarily samples like in the traditional sense if they took some old shit and flipped it a lot of like pop hip-hop records from the early 2000s to 2010 are being reinterpreted a lot lately from people that i've heard i said the same thing though i'm not sure what part it was maybe like a week or two ago ice was saying that um basically what puff and them were doing in the late 90s yeah early 2000s with all the dope hits that we knew of in the 80s that's what they're doing today
Starting point is 00:38:14 so now it's just 20 years later they're going to get all the old hits and basically recycling i guess the hard thing for me to like uh cope with that is that it was flipping some rock shit or some pop shit and making it hip-hop, and now it's flipping hip-hop and hip-hop, which is fine. It's just harder. It's hits. No, no, I get it. Like I said, I think, I was saying before, Berg really kind of
Starting point is 00:38:38 started that for this generation. He did. He ran back, but instead of going to the Him and Khaled. I think it was more him. He did it was more him he did it and more records I guess at that time Bird made it pop
Starting point is 00:38:50 yeah he did and he ran and grabbed the hits that from the late 90s early 2000s and put them out again yeah
Starting point is 00:39:01 so it's but at the same time it's introducing the younger crowd to those records they ain't never heard that shit true story they was kids true story so there's a lot of samples on this on this album this is an expensive album for sure and my down bottom record that i've been waiting on the drag on flip is not on there i'm gonna assume it's either gonna be on the deluxe or there was a problem clearing
Starting point is 00:39:26 that sample yeah because i don't hear a record on here that would have made me not include the down bottom flip on this album i don't hear that i waited months for that yeah you've been talking about that record i don't understand i went looking for the snippet and couldn't find it and that's and that's why i don't like getting fucking but that's the problem with these niggas man that that that let you in the studio session early play the unfinished record now i'm waiting for that you were guilty of that though i never did that there's a couple of the record i have never not put the record out there was a couple of you didn't but it's fine what well yeah there's a bunch actually there's a didn't, but it's fine. What? Well, yeah, a couple. There's a bunch. Actually, there's a bunch. There's a bunch. You're right.
Starting point is 00:40:05 It's fine. But I started that wave, though. So that's different. I started a lot of shit these niggas want to spread. It is wild. All right, because we used to fight. Everyone fought me. Stop playing records on Ustream.
Starting point is 00:40:16 What are you doing? Everybody fought me. Fucking record executives, A&Rs, presidents. What are your friends? I really wanted that down-bottRs, presidents. What are your friends? I really wanted that down-bottom flip, though. I'm not mad at this album, but what I realized is, and I meant to get into this last week, but we did a lot of part in last week,
Starting point is 00:40:35 so I might have been tired a little bit. I'm glad I got these shades on. I need cool blockers for the spring and the summer. I underestimated the record industry and if we knew that a lot of good music was coming this summer and that people been laying low because of the pandemic and so forth and so on the record industry has a lot of releases coming that don't mean that every release is fire some of these marketing plans are fire. True. And 5E got me, yo. And I won't say that because you can hear that they put a lot of time, energy, and money and backing behind this project.
Starting point is 00:41:13 But it's cool. And I'm not looking for cool. I'm looking for heat. You niggas been sitting up. I'm not looking for cool. This is cool. This is cool. But I'm not mad at him.
Starting point is 00:41:25 It's his debut. He'll get better. He'll evolve. And this is a good debut. But last week, that was cool push. That was a cool push and hold record, too. Yeah, it was. It was cool.
Starting point is 00:41:43 There's a lot of cool that's coming. You know what too, with the push, I hate to be the guy, man. Vocal should have been up a little bit. I thought they did that on purpose. Yeah, maybe, but I don't want it to work that hard to hear what he's saying. I need cool blockers to block out what's cool. And the marketing i think the marketing of shit is getting even more savvy yeah it is it's a little more all across the board not even with just music
Starting point is 00:42:13 like they're getting real slick with how they they are everything viralized things you know what i'm saying i just saw that the uh what was that morbius movie yeah yeah that the director of the movie they asked him in an interview about the trailer because the trailer had Spider-Man in the background. And he was like, dog, I just direct the movie. They do what they want with the...
Starting point is 00:42:35 When they get to trailer time, you ask them about why they have Spider-Man in my trailer. Don't bother me with this. Yeah, they good for that. I'm sitting there saying, we know why they put spider-man yeah of course like it's marketing and then i'm like yo we gotta get marketing tricks we gotta get we just gotta be careful yeah as consumers with we also thought that with with favio's album which i think is a solid album by the way that kanye would be more involved i don't think that he was as involved, at least from reading the initial credits.
Starting point is 00:43:05 You know, sometimes they add shit on later, but... For me, it did sound like he was involved, and that might have been another issue of mine. That was my takeaway. I heard he was involved. That's probably why it sounds so clean, and Mike Dean, but I'll never say a bad word about Mike Dean. He's a fucking genius.
Starting point is 00:43:22 But I don't know if I want to hear Favi so clean. You might have to add some dirt, some grime to it. Valid. I agree. Valid. That's kind of a trademark of the genre, you know, subgenre, whatever. But this goes to you saying before that Favi might be the one to try to progress the genre. He is.
Starting point is 00:43:42 That's why I'm going to allow him the space to experiment. All of this goes with that. It can't stay the same. But I got Donda and Donda's album of the year. Last year. I hold Donda in high regard as a musical piece.
Starting point is 00:44:00 So it's tough. It's tough. The bar is high for me, yo. It is. That's why I like seeing Cole would be a... Bro. J. Cole is the best rapper. He's the best rapper rapper right now.
Starting point is 00:44:14 He rapped in British, which I know is just English. I ain't going to hold you. He rapped in British and that shit's on fire. It did. I hate... J. Cole is on the list of guys that I... He's off... You can't critique him anymore. He's off the list. Bro, he can do anything. And I hate. J. Cole is on the list of guys that he's off. You can't critique him anymore.
Starting point is 00:44:26 He's off the list. Bro, he can do anything. Make it work. Y'all let him get away with some of them outfits, though. That's crazy. I don't care about what he wears. See, look. Fam, I want to hear the music.
Starting point is 00:44:36 We let niggas get away with fly outfits and trash music. But I'm just saying, Cole is doing different shit, yo. I like it. I like it. This shit was crazy when I heard this verse. I like to praise it. I'm with you that he's beyond critique, but I like to praise it when you see it. We had him at 1A, 1B last time.
Starting point is 00:44:53 He's one. One of one right now. He's one of one. Yeah, he's one. Royce had an interesting little argument about Cole. He's saying that Cole's space that he's in as an executive should remove him out of Kendrick Drake comparison
Starting point is 00:45:11 because that's what officially makes him number one. That he's flourished in an area where the other two have not. I may argue against that. I'm not mad at that. I don't make him number one but i won't argue against it i'm not he's number one to me because he's number one but that on top of it is
Starting point is 00:45:30 yeah that's amazing on the cake everybody don't want to do that true i will no longer split hairs between cole drake and kendrick they all to me are number one they all have proven time and time again why they are number one. Even in today's oversaturated, crowded ass market, crowded with niggas that ain't rappers. Everybody just picking,
Starting point is 00:45:52 it's like podcasting. Everybody just picking up, hey, hey, welcome to episode one. Hot dogs and parking beans. Shut up. What are you talking about? Like, it's like one of those.
Starting point is 00:46:02 So I'm done. I'm done with that. Shout out to Cole. Cole went crazy. Yeah, he did. I want to give props for props as well. He's number one of those. So I'm done. I'm done with that. Shout out to Cole. Cole went crazy. Yeah, he did. I want to give props for props as well. He's number one right now to me.
Starting point is 00:46:09 Undisputed champion. For now. He definitely went crazy. Different flow, accents, and still made the shit fire. Like, that's... And you say you hate, like, British rap. Yeah. Or dislike. I don't want to say hate.
Starting point is 00:46:20 Yeah, yeah. I dislike... It's not your cup of tea. No. But you like this. I like this. He didn't do it the whole verse. Like, he jumped in and out with it.
Starting point is 00:46:28 Yeah. I like beer too, man. Beer's dope. I think that when they give us German murder mysteries that they should invest more time, energy, and money into voice sync
Starting point is 00:46:39 and the actors and the mouths as they move. That's what I think. So, but if if the mouth is in one way... It'll never be perfect. Yeah, yeah. It'll never be perfectly in sync. Okay.
Starting point is 00:46:51 But I thought Squid Game did an amazing job with that. Money Heist, I think, did an amazing job with that. You can get it close enough to where you look like you're watching the same shit. Not like the old 80s... Chinese food movies. Right. Right old 80s Kung Fu movies. Right. Right?
Starting point is 00:47:06 Like, we're in 2022. We can't get this no closer. I like subtitles, so I do it that way. Yeah. Yeah, I don't mind. I watch subtitles on everything now. I don't mind. Everything.
Starting point is 00:47:13 Yeah, me too. I watch subtitle shit in English. I watch Snowfall with subtitles. Does that mean we're old? We're old. Could be. It's okay. That's the goal.
Starting point is 00:47:22 Yeah, no doubt. That's the goal. I want to get old. Yeah. That's all I got I want to get old. Yeah. That's all I got for Fabio's album, man. I will go back to my favorite songs on this album, but I was hype. The music industry got me on this one. I was hype for too many months for what I received.
Starting point is 00:47:38 That's not emotional intelligence. That's not emotional intelligence for me. I never want to do that. I never want to do that. I never want to do that again. You will. I don't do it very often. Because it's just artists that you might like
Starting point is 00:47:51 and you want to see win so you kind of eff yourself up. See, but that's the difference between me as a consumer. I want him to win, of course. No, I'm just saying, but that's...
Starting point is 00:47:58 But for me, I normally block out all industry attempts to flood my mind with something that i didn't organically love so the artists that i champion i typically champion them because i bet i bet that every time out the park however they do it it's coming like that chris her snow people don't really deviate there's more names i could think of but just off the top like lucky day like the niggas i champion when they come i'm gonna get what i like from them they bet
Starting point is 00:48:31 they they bet a thousand or close to it fobby's a new act so the label got shit to do it's business in play right now so even if he wanted to go in there and give them all hard crazy shit that couldn't happen it's too much riding on him as a young man i understand that but boy did they trick me they got me i'll admit it crazy shit about his album is one of my favorite records i would have never thought i liked and one of my favorites on the album is the record with queen nija and coiley rick the destiny is hard that record is hard i was, this shit is fire. Shout out to Beyonce
Starting point is 00:49:06 for wearing that sample. You know it. Told him to go clean it up a little bit. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Go ahead. Clean up that record. You bugging,
Starting point is 00:49:12 but I'm gonna clear it for you. Nah, I'm gonna clear it. Yeah, nah, you gotta look at it when shit like that happens. But yeah, you could just see with Fabi that he's being steered
Starting point is 00:49:21 in a bigger direction. They're developing him. Mm-hmm. Which is hard to knock. It's hard to knock. It's a good thing, though. I won't. Bobby, that he's being steered in a bigger direction. They're developing him. Mm-hmm. Which is hard to knock. It's hard to knock. It's a good thing, though. I won't.
Starting point is 00:49:30 I won't knock it. Hard to knock that. Isn't one of the- It's hard to find that balance. Isn't that one of the knocks? That's one of the knocks, right? That they don't develop artists anymore. Yeah, exactly. That's why-
Starting point is 00:49:39 Well, the knock wasn't- The knock used, we don't develop. He's a high-value act. Yes. He's a high value act. Yes. He's a priority. So they're going to take the time and handle him with care. When we were talking about labels getting rid of artist development, it was the artist that maybe didn't know what was going on
Starting point is 00:49:58 and didn't have it to get. The raw talent was there. Gotcha, gotcha, gotcha. But we need some help in getting to this level of potential. They took artist development away from those people, and that's where it hurts. The niggas that was going to be a star, some of the stars, we're going to make it regardless. It don't matter. Sign here, sign here, make this, make this, this feature, that song, I'll make it.
Starting point is 00:50:18 The labels now look at it as, yo, go develop yourself. We coming in after you get hot. Yeah, we'll catch you then. Or we'll invest a little catch you after you get hot. Yeah, we'll catch you then. Or we'll invest a little bit and let you, you know. Then I'll make a haul. But you got to. Then I'll make a haul. We're not developing you from day one.
Starting point is 00:50:31 Labels have the easiest job in the world, yo. Sign you. You make the music. And maybe two weeks or three or four weeks before your album drop, we'll say something about it. Mm-hmm. We'll put you where you need. Like, the labels are not investing in shit.
Starting point is 00:50:43 They're not really spending on nothing no more. No. own you're gonna go make the video put it on vivo uh the songs they looking at streams now so we ain't about to spend all crazy money you probably have your own team already producers engineers yeah because that's how you got hot to get on the labels right we don't have to store these albums and records somewhere. We don't have to store it. Reels. We don't have to store Reels. We don't have to store Reels. Just put it out.
Starting point is 00:51:09 Hit send. You do that. We'll go do the deals with the DSPs and everybody else to make sure that you don't get too crazy. And we'll take 85%. That's it. We'll put you on a tour. And we'll take money from that, too. And there's a line around the block in every city of people waiting That's it. We'll put you on a tour, and we'll take money from that, too. And there's a line around the block in every city of people waiting to do it.
Starting point is 00:51:29 Yeah. Can't knock them. That's what they want. What can I say? What other music came out? Lil Baby's back. Oh, no. Lil Baby said, I've had enough.
Starting point is 00:51:40 I heard all the talk. Y'all been playing. No. So without warning, without anything, I'm going to give you a two-pack. I heard all the talk y'all been playing so without warning without anything I'm gonna give you a two pack

Starting point is 00:52:09 Yes. Fucking algorithms. He came right out. Yeah, yeah. I didn't even know he was dropping. Me either. I had what I knew was dropping already. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:52:17 And then something said, yo, go check the hip hop new releases. And I saw a Lil Baby record. And I'm like, whoa. He dropped something okay then I clicked and there was another one shit I didn't go to the page I didn't saw on the little list and I said let me grab that and I didn't I didn't follow up because usually with a two-pack to kind of put them in the well it wasn't it wasn't like a EP right two singles right one here one here yeah and y'all talking too much you know you just get
Starting point is 00:52:47 right to it so as I heard the sample Shout out to Lil Baby QC, let's go then I be in a loop, she be in a group Brody want a friend, don't have to Turn something to nothing, bro, I'm living proof How can I lose when we the who's who's Still running around with Mohawk, check ready, pack the Goyard People probably think I show off, I ain't even give it yet Running up a silly check, staying off the internet
Starting point is 00:53:24 Share the stage with Billie Eil I turn it in any given time personal partners pillar talking cuz I got you don't seem like he's letting go of the chokehold no no anytime soon I'd be a little tighter I think he's made it clear that this is his decade and the scariest part is he sounds like he's getting better I'm tired of snow that I can get done But you don't do for me 40,000 miles up in the L The time I get some Z's for a quick press foot on a neck and I can't let him breathe So it's just come with each check. It ain't nowhere talking to him back. You know how that go
Starting point is 00:54:00 We only speaking briefly. Hope I'm not too much to handle see the nigga from Atlanta I spent my last check on Elmo This is not a regular limo Hundred-thousand-dollar kick Gonna put down on another Lambo Don't be in the mix I built this shit forever, have it say so This shit gon' get serious about my money This ain't no fuckin' play, though Bro, they down for double homicide I tried to tell him, like, look See, don't like the driver He spend good, I'm on the way to Clayco AK-47s in the spots before they made the Draco
Starting point is 00:54:23 I'm just tryna ball and live Hundred mil, I'm callin' deals Hundred bucks, pay all the bills I'm on the way to Clayco AK-47s in the Sprats Before they made the Draco I'm just tryna ball and live 100 mil, I'm callin' deals 100 bucks, pay all the bills I'm the golden child for real To put this out as half of a two-pack? Word Just a Bro, an Instagram post
Starting point is 00:54:35 Yo, I just dropped two 100 mil, I'm callin' deals 100 bucks, pay all the bills I'm the golden child for real Go out and finish, bitch, I'm real They leaked a piece of this video A couple, like a week ago And I'm my hook behind the stick I need equity, just sign the deal You didn of this video a couple, like a week ago.
Starting point is 00:54:47 You didn't know. True. This wasn't like a, yo, we got the new single dropping Friday. No, this is nothing. Here. It's his decade, yo. Because I've been hearing the talk. I know we keep hearing people say it. I know it's not really a hot take, but he's getting better.
Starting point is 00:55:04 He is. really a hot take but he's getting better he is of that crop of guys he's him and Savage are my favorite in that age group
Starting point is 00:55:14 you can kind of hear it in this song like he's starting to come into it like yo I'm him I'ma just chill out you can hear his confidence I'm distancing myself from the rest of the pack. And when you do shit like that, I need equity to sign the deal. Heard what he said.
Starting point is 00:55:35 Letting you know where his mind is. Mind right. Money right. Changing. Ready for war. I'm young. I got all the talent in the world. This shit is clearly mine.
Starting point is 00:55:44 We was just having this talk about, oh, Debo. Mm-hmm. Debo Samuel. Debo Samuel. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. We just had this talk.
Starting point is 00:55:56 Same talk. You got two quarterbacks locked up, Jimmy G and the little young boy. Mm-hmm. I just showed the whole world what I could do, clearly. We all know. I'm on a rookie deal, but I don't care about that because there's too many receivers getting paid right now.
Starting point is 00:56:08 My usage rate is through the roof. I'm sitting down. I'm unfollowing you. I'm sitting down. And go talk to my agent. I want to play here, but I did what I have to do. Your turn.
Starting point is 00:56:20 Yep. I've showed you already. Which is what he keeps saying in this record. Lil Baby. No, Stick Up is coming. turn yep i've showed you already which is what he keeps saying in this record little baby no stick up is coming stick up is coming you have no idea somebody he letting him know i'm him i know i'm him i delivered though so i don't even look at it like a stick up you know i'm saying like yo dog just give me what i'm worth it's not a stick up because whatever he get he's still worth more yeah that, yo, dog, just give me what I'm worth. It's not a stick up because whatever he get,
Starting point is 00:56:46 he's still worth more. Yeah, that's what I'm saying. So give me what I'm worth. You don't really lose in that. You ain't losing. Whatever you give him, you're coming up. You're going to make more.
Starting point is 00:56:54 You losing that if you don't want to give it to him. Because the stock on this is up. Oh, though, through the roof. On him. Yeah, on him. Yeah. Through the roof.
Starting point is 00:57:02 What else came out? I feel like I'm preaching to the choir Oh, oh, oh Is it my turn? You know what came out Oh, you know what came out ESTG, come on 42
Starting point is 00:57:09 Nigga Give it to us, pause ESTG 42 Alright Last real one Still you know what came out Yeah, do you know I've been playing this non-stop
Starting point is 00:57:18 First song is Ice Talk They was talking to me They did it for you, man I thought Yo, people was hitting me like, yo, you got a skit on there or something? I might as well.
Starting point is 00:57:27 That would've been funny. Nah, that would've been dope. You talking, see, now. You gotta get the beat, man. Do a remix. I gotta do something. I got a little something on there. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:57:34 I'm gonna get the beat. Yeah, get the beat. I throw a little something on there. Nah, let him live. Chill. Don't do it to him? Don't hurt him. Let him live.
Starting point is 00:57:40 A little eight and just let it go. Oh, okay, that's cool. That'll do it. Oh, eight. I'm not going crazy. All right. But, um,
Starting point is 00:57:49 so we talk about getting what you expect from a project. Right. Oh, they're going to do that. And they did that. They're going to do that. No, no. Record after record, they did that. This project is exactly what I know a lot of y'all.
Starting point is 00:58:05 This is not your lane, whatever you want to call it. For those of us who are fans of ESTG and or 42 Doug, you love this. They delivered right out the gate from record one. The singles, which were Free to Shine, this was first. Everybody Shoot Us 2. And then right before the album dropped, they dropped Thump Shit. Okay. All in their bag.
Starting point is 00:58:31 I'm not stepping out my bag. I'm giving it to you exactly what you expect from me. ESTG don't seem to know where other bags are. He's staying his. No, he's letting you know this is my bag. Dog 2. He's staying his bag. I haven't heard this yet.
Starting point is 00:58:45 But what a fucking blessing it is when your bag is the one that works yeah like and that's why the memphis niggas him money bag like when these niggas start getting their shit it just is their shit that keeps working and when they're working in a system that caters to that this is the sound right now you know i'm saying like your label the people you're working with allow you to just cook yeah the other thing i liked about this is once i saw again track listing this wasn't flooded with features from the big names so this told me they're gonna get to do them on here like they just get to cook or it was like some organic shit where they was in there together
Starting point is 00:59:26 as opposed to mailing out all the records waiting for blah blah blah to lay their shit yeah like like this of course they're calling it a mixtape you know how it goes with all of that but this is just them i mean you got their homies on there a lot of acts that i've never even heard of this is what i wanted i've been playing this project since probably 8 30 a.m thursday non-stop you think this body of music is conducive to you being the best dad you could be my daughter was in school so yeah it's wild out time it's wild it's been a block like the record Spin is the Yeah This is Spin the Block That's stupid Spin is gonna be my sleeper
Starting point is 01:00:07 Gotta just circle the school now We just doing circle Oh yeah yeah yeah Don't even pull up Don't even stop by her school Like you know something This shit made me That's an interesting topic
Starting point is 01:00:18 That every week I say I wanna talk about But I never do What's that? Picking your kid up from school Oh that shit's the best I love it If it is It's the best school. Oh, that shit's the best. If it is. It's the best for me.
Starting point is 01:00:29 I love it. It's the best for me too. But you can pick it a lot Might not be for someone else, yeah. I understand how it could be a difficult time for somebody else. One, two, man some good looking moms out there, right? Nah, for real, you there just on the strength of the love of your kid and wow, look at them. Hey, hold up. Teachers don't be too bad either. No, for real, you there just on the strength of the love of your kid.
Starting point is 01:00:46 Wow, look at them. Hey, hold up. Teachers don't be too bad either. Well, the teacher almost had to check a few times. Hey, dad right here. No, no, I'm picking him up. No, it's me. No, no.
Starting point is 01:01:01 Come on, let him out of school. When the teacher, oh, it's dad today. Yo, dog. Yo, you better fucking watch yourself. Oh, look, it's dad here. Yo, stop. Stop feeding the narrative that's hundreds of years old. Don't do that.
Starting point is 01:01:19 Oh, wow, what a shocker. There is dad. No, no, no, no, no. Some of the kids come out crying, get to see how the other parents handle them. It's just a lot to look at when you pick a kid up. I'm sure it's a prime people-watching experience. Yeah, yeah, is it? Yes, yes. Yeah, it is.
Starting point is 01:01:34 It's fun for me. I enjoy the fuck out of it. I walk in, my baby come running, arms out, screaming, it's nothing but moms out there. It's a good look. I can see how that would be. It's a good look. You'd see how that would be. It's a good look. You mean like this?
Starting point is 01:01:47 Just be like. You hit him with that? Parent-teacher conferences. It's another one. Yo. Yo. It ain't shit. Yo, they still do parent-teacher conferences?
Starting point is 01:02:01 Yes. Hell yes. Oh, no, no, no. We're not together. We just, yeah, yeah, yeah. This nigga's crazy, yo. This nigga's nuts. No, that's what y'all on.
Starting point is 01:02:12 Yeah, parent. Yeah. Yeah, teacher. Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. No, mother couldn't make it. No, no, no. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 01:02:21 Yeah, hello? That's what you know. Yeah, you could. This nigga whacking over here. Y'all would sleep with a teacher at your kid's school? Yeah, hello? That's what you know. There you go. Y'all would sleep with a teacher at your kid's school? Honest question. It does sound like a dangerous territory to run into, potentially. Can't do that, yo.
Starting point is 01:02:36 Not my child's teacher, but maybe a teacher at the school? Yeah. No. You know your kid has to see different teachers each year. You would still do it? Joe, yes. Not even an athletics coach or something? Joe. She gets spun around too.
Starting point is 01:02:52 That's why I'm true. Joe. Yo, I be trying to introduce shit that's like I think is compelling and y'all just come in with. Y'all just come in. She get beat down too. Yo, you said don't cap that's right
Starting point is 01:03:07 you said you don't want to make a stupid joke right alright so let's progress the conversation does Wilson want to get flipped y'all know that y'all
Starting point is 01:03:12 shouldn't do that why does Wilson want to get flipped too like speak to me Ice Joe shit don't even be
Starting point is 01:03:20 Miss Wilson no more shit be Jackie and some young shit teach about 26. 25. Nice. Nice.
Starting point is 01:03:28 When we was kids, we had the old ass ladies like, yo, Miss D'Agostino. Now you motherfuckers. Fam. There you go, baby. I ain't gonna lie,
Starting point is 01:03:38 I be jealous looking at these kids, yo. Miss D'Agostino was in every school like Martin Luther King Boulevard in the hood. Fam. You be like, this some bullshit.
Starting point is 01:03:46 Now these teachers got fucking stilettos on, nigga. And ass. I ain't even want to get into that. I'm just saying. All right.
Starting point is 01:03:55 All right, man. See, we can't talk this. I follow a few of them teachers. I bet you fucking do. I bet you fucking do. Now I'm the guy that's home saying, you wore that to school
Starting point is 01:04:05 And they really be Showing it off Shit where that The Del Frisco It's one of them Art teachers on a gram Them paintings be different I'm sorry fam
Starting point is 01:04:18 But alright Yo Yo you know why You know why It's just hilarious You know why Cause every nigga Has dated the fucking earthy artist chick. And some of them was trash, but you just had to encourage her through the painting because she was fine.
Starting point is 01:04:34 Mm-hmm. You didn't sit there with the bullshit. You're killing that shit, yo. I see what you're doing. Abstract. I see what you was going for right there. And I see your artistic vision. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 01:04:43 You really bringing it out right there. I see it. Yeah, that shit was vision. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You really bringing it out right there. I see it. Yeah, this shit was terrible. Nah, that's horrible, yo. Bitches just be throwing anything on the cameras. I'm going to just put a dub in here, because I owe them. I owe them last week. Surf be cursing.
Starting point is 01:04:56 We all owe them last week. All right, moving on. Moving on. Sid drop. I don't know if y'all was done with y'all hip hop. Vince drop. Vince, yes. Vince drop.
Starting point is 01:05:04 Vince. I really like the. Vince dropped. Vince. I really like the album, man. It's the first Vince album that was kind of like, not like experimental sounding, I guess. I don't know. A lot of this stuff was like kind of distorted 808s. It felt like he was trying to do festival shit. The last like two or three or four projects.
Starting point is 01:05:18 This one's kind of more on the nose. You know what I'm saying? And it's phenomenal. It's really good. A lot of songs that could play around women songs for women that matters it does vince gonna start kicking ass when he stopped rapping i'm telling you he is gonna go crazy on you niggas when he stopped rapping i like his rap stuff so keep rapping vince i mean you know i mean like do the other
Starting point is 01:05:40 shit too but yeah don't stop look how casually people tell you to do things but i'm saying if you know let me not even skip that because that's a nice little topic there as an on as an onlooker you casually it's easy to say what somebody else should be doing how hard some of that shit is and i keep rapping pursue a tv career pursue a broadcasting career some sex with women be in a gang take care of my family like you niggas be asking niggas it ain't but 24 hours in a day
Starting point is 01:06:09 so someone said oh man hypothetically yeah someone said that and we rolled right I made that up Caesar or someone one of them
Starting point is 01:06:17 one of them niggas just said yo 24 that's it right there the things we just rolled with yo yo that's kind of wild. The things we just rolled with, yo. Yo, that's kind of wild when you think about it, though. Nigga just told y'all, yo, that's it right there, 24. And somehow it's still a bunch of tardy,
Starting point is 01:06:35 unpunctual niggas in the world. I'm abiding by a time metric that nobody else is, that somebody just made up and nobody really abides by. I hate niggas that's not punctual anyway shout out to Vince my brother I love you
Starting point is 01:06:50 I haven't heard your project yet you and I have spoken about it I support everything you're doing you already know what it is with me
Starting point is 01:06:57 before we leave hip hop too Rowdy dropped a single Rowdy vs. Rebel and he told us about it shout out to Rowdy is this one of the ones that he may or may not have? No, this wasn't. No, he was
Starting point is 01:07:08 playing Heat in here. Oh, yeah. He was playing Heat in here. I'm glad he sent me that Heat. I was driving. And you still haven't sent it to me. My bad. Don't worry about it. I got you. My bad. My bad. That's my bad. I was out on a Saturday night and was like, hey. Oh. Can't play this. And Sav, yo,
Starting point is 01:07:24 it's a few of you music exec dudes. Y'all be sending me albums through like a private SoundCloud link because y'all know I'm a fan. Yo, Joe, check this shit out. And I check it out. I send you some feedback. Then a week later, I go to listen to it, and the link is gone. Yo, next time.
Starting point is 01:07:41 I try not to do that. I be trying to have faith in the relationship that you're leaving there so I won't leak that out. I know what that is, though. Like, he's trying to, they're probably making some changes to this shit and then the link goes dead.
Starting point is 01:07:51 No, no, no. I don't want it to leak. Leave that link up there for me. It could be that, too. I'm telling you, I don't want it to leak. No, but as someone
Starting point is 01:07:58 who uses private sound card links sometimes to send shit around, like, if I make a change, I'm going to delete the old shit and put the new shit up. Now the link is dead. That's for the new link. Send me the new shit. U'm gonna delete the old shit and put the new shit up now the link is dead that's for the new shit upload the new shit send me the new i'm trying to catch a vibe with some bad like i said fucking link is gone this is me i got you man you're right there's nothing private on the internet that's all i'm gonna say about that but no there's rowdy. Rebel record I love it
Starting point is 01:08:25 cause it's a duality song I liked him I didn't he kinda explained it a little bit but when I heard the song where he's saying you know Rowdy is
Starting point is 01:08:34 the the rapper uh huh that's he got the money he's up you know and Rebel is
Starting point is 01:08:42 nigga you really don't wanna see I'm gonna rob the show yeah yeah yeah step over the gun line I was so happy to meet Rowdy Rebel yo He's up. And Rebel is, nigga, you really don't want to see him. I'm going to rob the show. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Step over the gun line. I was so happy to meet Rowdy Rebel, yo. He was really cool, man. He was dope.
Starting point is 01:08:51 He was real cool. He was great. He was great. He had fun. I like when they come in here and have fun. Yeah. Give it up. I love that.
Starting point is 01:08:59 But yeah, shouts to Rowdy for this record here. And I hope. I'm definitely looking forward to that record. That's the singles, whatever he was playing here. Yeah. Yeah. He got some shit on the way.
Starting point is 01:09:10 All it take is one good newspaper clip to make my respect for you go all the way. He wore the same outfit. Yup. You got it. I don't even care if it's fake. I don't care.
Starting point is 01:09:22 That was such an ill story. I'm rolling with that yeah that's a whole movie right now nah you got it dog for life that is impressive yo but how was Sid's album
Starting point is 01:09:32 great yeah I love the the shit we play with Lucky Day yeah yeah I listened to like a little bit of it
Starting point is 01:09:41 but it was it was not my vibe at 9 o'clock in the morning today I had to get some energy that was my vibe but it was not my vibe at 9 o'clock in the morning today. I had to get some energy. That was my vibe in the morning. This is a great, that EST, this is a great album. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 01:09:50 Shout out to Ced, yo. I want Fabio personally, but you know what I mean? A little gunplay dropped the table. I want the gunplay a little bit. I listened to that. Some shit on there. I might play one as a sleeper, in fact. I thought about that.
Starting point is 01:09:59 Yeah. You got something, Joe? No, I'm just making sure. Oh, okay. I'm just making sure that. Don't just give me a little bit. Uh-oh. Nah, when did this drop? Are you got something, Joe? No, I'm just making sure. I'm just making sure that... Oh! Uh-oh. Nah, when did this drop?
Starting point is 01:10:09 Oh, I'm just late on this. What, Coley Ray? Nah, this Flora Fanta album by Fanta Hughes. This album's great. This was my sleep of the day before I had to pay homage to BTS. You played one a couple weeks ago. I was going to play a different one. But the whole album is to BTS. You played one a couple weeks ago. I was going to play a different one. But the whole album is crazy.
Starting point is 01:10:28 You played one like a couple weeks ago. That's your vibe too. Yeah, y'all duking it out over there. Yeah. Yes, y'all are. We not. We not. You kind of up a little bit, to tell you the truth.
Starting point is 01:10:38 I know. And that's the problem with consumer shit today. Like, the guy that's been doing it for seven, eight, nine, ten years. Here comes some new baddie who walks in with a nice outfit. Y'all like, oh, the best ever. They got one good season. We ignoring Mike?
Starting point is 01:10:55 Yeah, but because when... It's been a year. Yeah, but he wasn't... And y'all got convenient amnesia. That's not even a term I'm looking for but you remember
Starting point is 01:11:06 how he started most improved and now he's gone most improved player put him in his proper place but you could be most improved and MVP I ain't
Starting point is 01:11:16 where pull him up I said he can pull it up when it happened it just did show me when it's happened in real life this is real life
Starting point is 01:11:24 put him in his most improved little box where he belongs. Get that one first and then maybe later. Have fun, right? But before you get the MVP, first team, all MVP. I mean, let's just slow it down a little bit. Y'all too fast to give out genius and fucking goat. And yo, the kids got to hold a goat and forgot every animal.
Starting point is 01:11:48 We quick to give it out. Oh, goat. Nigga, you are 18. World might allow some love and respect on that one, too. You got to say, greatest of my little bitty ass time I've been on earth.
Starting point is 01:12:05 You talking about, niggas is 19, you talking about goat greatest of my little bitty ass time I've been on earth. You talking about, niggas is 19, you talking about go greatest of all. All the time? Better than the dinosaurs even? Anyway, I got you stupid, yo. Sid's album,
Starting point is 01:12:20 Broken Hearts Club. I don't know what's happening with the internet, but Sid is there. Is it hold you over? Broken Hearts Club I don't know what's happening with the internet but Sid is there does it hold you over yeah no this is great
Starting point is 01:12:30 this is great R&B is great for me yo it's I'm not I'm not displeased I wonder why that is like R&B doesn't really seem to like
Starting point is 01:12:38 disappoint you know what I'm saying like the anticipation maybe isn't as high I don't you know what I mean like you know what that's a that's the anticipation maybe isn't as high. I don't, you know what I mean? Like, you know what?
Starting point is 01:12:46 That's a great question. I think I know why though. I'll take a shot at it too and I'm sure it's nuanced. I'm sure. I think that the tendencies in rap fans versus R&B fans
Starting point is 01:13:00 are totally different. And I think I had this same talk a million years ago when Sean Paul came out. Sean Paul came out after having a million hits out and did 30,000 records. And the whole industry at the time
Starting point is 01:13:13 was super, hey, what the fuck? Well, at least some of us were. And other people were saying, just don't worry about it. Word. He did what he needed to do. Watch what happens.
Starting point is 01:13:23 That album will do 30 000 for the next 97 weeks in a row and hip-hop won't and sure enough that's what that album did them songs start picking up yeah and in r&b we had the same talk with her her came out yeah 30 000 yeah i haven't checked but i'm sure she's fine in hip hop though I think the rap fans it's a little tougher to introduce a new act and you get the fan
Starting point is 01:13:55 to ride with that new act versus R&B where the R&B lovers are searching constantly for new fresh dope amazing R&B. Yo, when I get in the shower and whatever little playlist I had on goes off. It starts playing some other shit.
Starting point is 01:14:11 It just starts playing music similar to that. I know that does that in all categories. But I think that the R&B lovers respond differently. I rush and go buy all them shits. I don't know that in hip-hop the fans are doing that and no you were saying oh no he had a point i think you got something to on this yeah go ahead i think the talent is different so i think that when you listen in the hip-hop the words are more of the skill yeah when you're listening to r&b the singing the musicianship
Starting point is 01:14:43 even though it's musicianship loved in hip hop too, I think that the sound and the mood that you get from R&B, when an R&B song come on, it catch me. Right. When a rap song come on, the beat could catch you, but if the lyrics is ass, I'm gone. Again, that's an older thing with you, because a lot of these niggas today,
Starting point is 01:15:02 the beat and the hook is fired and the song is fired. I don't give a fuck what they're saying. In today's hip-hop a lot of the beats and hooks sound alike too which is why a lot of the songs are received the same way now my take on that is in hip-hop it is it's harder to find a to break a new act and have the fans ride with you all the way hip-hop is more follow the leader So if the right people like you, then they're going to follow you over there. And the second they jump off onto something else, you were never hot,
Starting point is 01:15:30 especially if all of y'all sounded like you were like, I see it happen with the greats. Damn near. I've seen people killing Nelly, jar Eminem 50. Like these niggas have sold diamond. Layoffs was too long. Well,
Starting point is 01:15:41 to that point, cause you're right. I think marketing is different when it comes to, Well, to that point, because you're right, I think marketing is different when it comes to... Give me the last clout-chasey or gimmicky thing that an R&B act did to let you know that their album was coming.
Starting point is 01:15:55 I can't really think of any. Outside of August and the Entanglement, I can't think of one. The R&B niggas got to really rely on their voice and their music to cut through. In's true in rap you can get tricked wwf shit you can get fooled with boisterous pop up here a feature here uh you know why that is you know why that is because hip-hop is more lucrative than r&b at the moment so the labels and all of them are willing to dump more money in here to get the bullshit going
Starting point is 01:16:27 so they can cash out. And that's why it's more smoke and mirrors over here. Whereas in R&B, it's talent. You might be right. You gotta put some good music out. I think everybody's right.
Starting point is 01:16:37 And the good music is gonna build its own. Everybody's right. The feeling that I get when I hear certain R&B I don't get from hip hop is very, very seldom. I'm talking about just in an organic way.
Starting point is 01:16:47 When the shit come on, I feel something. What's the chick? Pardon me, not chick, but the young lady from England. Cleo Soul. Dog, when I first heard that shit, I was just like, yo, this is something different, B. The feeling that you get when you hear certain music It just speaks for itself I don't gotta know you I don't know your back history
Starting point is 01:17:09 I don't know how many niggas you shot I don't know who you gave no head to I just feel a way When your shit comes on It should be like that in hip hop too A few weeks ago Or whenever that was on this pod I like your answer
Starting point is 01:17:20 We were having a hip hop talk And I was like Yo I have just I said we and then I said I have outgrown a lot of this shit in hip hop I've outgrown a lot of it right we did that pod and a few days later I saw a tweet I wish I could remember the young lady's name because it was poignant but it was attacking what I had said and I'm not angry at what she said but it was something along the lines of I don't care who you are
Starting point is 01:17:48 rapper, producer DJ, whoever if you can say that you have outgrown hip hop you were never really in love with hip hop and she she just wrote about that and it was an interesting conversation
Starting point is 01:18:04 online I think she was only saying that because i had said it because who else comes out and says i have outgrown a lot of shit in hip-hop i ain't just that that's not a common conversation that you hear i don't anyway i i actually agree with her sentiment i think that the difference is in i don't want to speak for you but maybe you mean the bullshit around hip-hop i think that we know what we i think that when you hear something dope you still go yo that shit is dope.
Starting point is 01:18:26 Yeah you can never fall out of love with hip hop if you're in it. Like if you love it for real. I agree with that part. But what some of us call hip hop is the business.
Starting point is 01:18:36 Or the mainstream hip hop that's been fed to us. Yeah and that side of the business you just can't get me with anymore. I don't even care about the business. you just can't get me with anymore. I don't even care about the business. I care about the music.
Starting point is 01:18:48 Right. I care about how I feel when your song comes on. Right. Yeah, but you don't know that you care about the business because some of that shit that's in front of your face, it only gets there because of business. That's what I was trying to say. I can believe that. The business is controlling the music in hip hop. Versus the music controlling the business.
Starting point is 01:19:08 I'm going to always champion the latter instead of the former. The song Ice played as a sleeper, the kid from Philly. Yeah. That shit hit. And I was like, whoa. Because he got mad at me for that. I said, whoa. The hip hop shit that I played two weeks ago.
Starting point is 01:19:21 That boy can rap. Right. So I think that the music is just gonna hit you, yo. It's just gotta be a feeling. I don't give a fuck who the labels is pushing. If I don't like you, I don't like you.
Starting point is 01:19:31 But what we're saying is in hip-hop particularly, you don't get a chance to hear it unless the label's behind you. You don't hear it. It's not gonna get on the playlist. It's not gonna get in the algorithm. You're not gonna hear it
Starting point is 01:19:40 because that dude, Ryan Blades from Toronto, it's a lot of that. It's a lot of them. A a lot but it'll never cross your radar because it's designed that way hip-hop is too lucrative it's too much money in there so they're going to control that a little bit tighter than they are with other genres that's valid no that's very valid i guess yeah they making so you don't think that happens to r&B not to this extent not until it becomes
Starting point is 01:20:07 like more the popular R&B stuff once you get to pop once you get to that pop level R&B no
Starting point is 01:20:13 but the playlist cause again like Joe said yo I could be listening to some shit and the second it goes off they'll play some other shit and I'll be like
Starting point is 01:20:21 whoa whoa whoa who the fuck is that you know i'm saying and i'm looking like who was that yeah because the sound got me right right so i guess if you listen to certain genres of hip-hop it the the playlist people don't push that i don't know i'm just asking out of curiosity no no you got to be affiliated with people really honestly in these playlists and in this algorithm,
Starting point is 01:20:45 all that shit is controlled by them. Just like heavy rotation in radio. Radio, yeah. Some of these acts will have the song pop up in the algorithm three hours after the song that you liked went off. That don't really help. We're not going to let this rock for three hours, all of us. Some people are, right?
Starting point is 01:21:02 Sure. Or, hey, make that come on right when they finish right after they shit go off put this on like if I'm listening to whatchamacallit
Starting point is 01:21:09 her right like if I'm in my house and I might fuck with Alexa yeah that
Starting point is 01:21:16 her Chris Brown comes on the first song and that's where blockchain and that's where blockchain is really gonna change shit
Starting point is 01:21:23 this decade I wonder when it's already started. How so? But it is. I'm listening. Because her should get paid for that. Oh.
Starting point is 01:21:32 If the her song went off, and now nine times out of ten, the next song that comes on is this artist, then her needs to get something from that. I know that sounds preposterous. No, it doesn't. You're somewhat responsible. You said it about the Drake shit. You said it about the Drake shit one time. I think 21 was saying, we don't understand how valuable
Starting point is 01:21:54 Drake is until you start to get around the playlist people and all that other shit. You said something like that about the Drake shit. And I understand it at first, but now I understand what you're saying. I think you said that about the Spotify podcast. It's applicable everywhere. Listen, Nick Cannon was vocal,
Starting point is 01:22:11 I think, on one of these shows. Or maybe it was a private conversation. I don't remember. But looking at it, they do it on TV all the time. Right after Love & Hip Hop, they put Black Ink.
Starting point is 01:22:20 Why? Because this is our hit. Chances are, if you like this, you're going to like this. After the awards show, they did it with This Is Us. They put This Is Us on after the Super Bowl. Listen, they know what they're doing here.
Starting point is 01:22:31 What is this here? Oh, this is the tweet. Churches LaPorsche. You found the tweet. This was a popular tweet. But not that popular. Well, I saw it. Churches LaPorsche.
Starting point is 01:22:42 I like that name. If you can grow out of hip hop you're not and never were hip hop at all period I don't care if you are were a rapper producer label owner
Starting point is 01:22:50 whatever she's absolutely right she's absolutely right agreed I agree with that but you definitely can grow out of the bullshit
Starting point is 01:22:59 the gimmicks the bullshit being fooled by marketing yeah promotion or talentless artists mhm being fooled by marketing promotion or talentless artists because today
Starting point is 01:23:10 there's a lot of artists that ain't artists man it's machine it's machine shit it's like fucking self checkout it's I'm not getting into it you said self checkout elaborate what are you talking about I'm not getting into it I'm not getting into it you said self-checkout
Starting point is 01:23:25 yeah elaborate what are you talking about I mean machine generated I mean no human around to give a human pulse to things you ever
Starting point is 01:23:36 you ever call call a credit card company or any company and you a hotel anywhere and you want to get a human on the phone but it's like an automated series
Starting point is 01:23:45 that you have to get through 90 million questions. You keep trying to press zero or say operator. Representative, representative. No, we need a few more questions before we can put you through to a human. And you're like, yo, you're not understanding my human reaction to some things. You just are a fucking computer.
Starting point is 01:24:03 That's what I mean. It's not music you can feel it's just music that's made computers only and it sounds like it that's exactly what it is too it's made computers only it's it's the algorithm saying we're not even looking we need to make is the sound yeah you know how crazy it is we don't even need you humans to like it as long as some other robots like it and we can show those numbers then we out of here so i mean it's not that music is not for us and and i have the unfortunate uh uh the totally unfortunate year of being able to pick up on on some of that stuff
Starting point is 01:24:45 and normally that critique is it's too clean you can just tell when music is made it's too perfect a certain way music is not
Starting point is 01:24:55 art is not meant to be perfect not at all it's meant to be imperfect that's what a beauty lies that's what a beauty yeah
Starting point is 01:25:02 but moving on we're done with music. Shout out to Sid. So happy that she came back. So happy that she came back. Actually, round of applause for her. Are we done with music? I think that's all I had. I don't think anything else.
Starting point is 01:25:18 In my bag. I didn't have anything else in music either. What else was there? I can't believe the Yankees, but I'm not going to get to sports. Katonji Brown, round of applause. Absolutely. Yes. Give her another one.
Starting point is 01:25:34 Katonji Brown, round of applause. She did it. It's done after having to sit through all of that fuckity fuck shit. Duh. Questions they was asking her, bro. This country is just scary, man. Scary. Scary is like an understatement.
Starting point is 01:25:50 That fam, she's been... Has a marvelous legal education. She has a vast practical experience. Something I think is a real plus. I will vote no. I can say definitively that I like her. I think she's a good person, but I cannot support her. She seems like a wonderful human being. She comes with some impressive qualifications academically and professionally.
Starting point is 01:26:10 I will vote no. And indeed, she has a very impressive resume. I am certainly going to vote no. I mean, she's the realization of an American dream, so I will not be supporting her nomination. I enjoyed the opportunity to meet her family they obviously are and should be proud of her achievements i can't support her nomination very gifted uh that's the one that hurt that one hurt fought hard to be where she's at in life i'll vote no i'm the first first time i've ever voted against any supreme court nominee
Starting point is 01:26:40 no the one that hurt me the most was the one I was like, um, she's the epitome of what the American dream should be. But I'm going to vote no. That one hurt me the most because I'm playing the game and in playing the game, my family got to meet you. My family got to meet this person that hate
Starting point is 01:26:59 me and I hate, but this is the politics of it. And then you get to get up there and say, what a marvelous family. Marvelous. I had a pleasure meeting her. Wow, she's amazing. Y'all did an amazing job. There's no way in God's green earth I could support her.
Starting point is 01:27:11 That is nuts to me, yo. That's disgusting. We need a third party. No, fam, she's been, no, the third party helped us. I know. We need a more active third party. It was two independents. The two independents voted yay for her.
Starting point is 01:27:22 And then what's the dude named Ram Paul? Ram Paul was stuck in the bathroom. They taking the vote. He won't even come out. It's like a slap in the face, some of this shit. It's a spit in the face. Yeah, they ain't like a slap in the face. It's a spit in the face.
Starting point is 01:27:34 This shit is just a different level of power. I mean, it is. If you see it, there's a whole other group of people that says, well, he had to really use the bathroom. I know. I'm saying. No, no, no. I know. I know.
Starting point is 01:27:44 Yo, it's nuts. Like, I looked at the numbers. In the numbers, two Republicans voted yay. Only two. And two independents. And the score was 53 to 47. Fam, she's the most qualified Supreme Court candidate ever across the board.
Starting point is 01:28:07 But she might potentially vote for something we don't like. This would be my point. My point be, yo, this is not about the people. About how we gotta be qualified to even get in position. Even qualification ain't enough. Yo, this is not about the American people
Starting point is 01:28:24 at this point. Y'all just playing politics. Yeah. You know what I'm saying? So party tics. It's gang warfare. The shit is, yes, that's exactly what it is. Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson was confirmed Thursday to become the 116th Supreme Court Justice. Here are key things to know about how today's vote unfolded.
Starting point is 01:28:41 Well, we know how it unfolded. Jackson was confirmed by a vote of 53 yays, 47 nays, three GOP senators. Of course, we don't need this. Oh, it's three Republicans. I thought it was two. Congratulations to her.
Starting point is 01:28:55 And this is extremely important. Mm-hmm. Extremely important. And it was just great to see. My mom texted me as it was happening. Hey, history's being made right now. Like, I always love when the older people.
Starting point is 01:29:06 Yeah. They be happy as shit. Yeah. They be happy as shit. A lot of them never thought they'd ever see any of this. They come from a time. They come from a time. This is like us seeing cars fly or some shit.
Starting point is 01:29:16 Like, you never even imagined it. They come from a time, fam, where you just imagine when you had to get up. Somebody say, yo, get up. What do you mean, get up, man? Yo, Biden's so cute, man. Somebody say, yo, get up. What do you mean get up, man? Yo, Biden, Biden's so cute, man. This clip was going around the internet.
Starting point is 01:29:29 They were celebrating the anniversary of Obamacare. So Biden invited Obama through to the White House. Fib, everybody comes storming Obama. That nigga look like
Starting point is 01:29:43 the backup quarterback that won the Super Bowl he turned around like the fourth string quarterback he was looking like yo I ain't why isn't anyone speaking to me
Starting point is 01:29:52 Kamala smiling now I ain't seen her smile yeah nah I ain't seen her smile since we did it Joe this Obama Biden clip remind me of Leo DiCaprio
Starting point is 01:30:03 and Jeff Bezos we never found out the back story on that too you not This Obama-Biden clip remind me of Leo DiCaprio and Jeff Bezos. We never found out the backstory on that, too. You not. That is the backstory. Do any of y'all think that y'all could keep y'all's slide that night in the event that Leo was there in that suit smelling good? Smelling like some shit you can't buy in Nordstrom's hair slick to the side. The pressure. I don't like some shit you can't buy in Nordstrom's hair slick to the side. It's the slot. He hug your girl a little tighter than the introduction hug.
Starting point is 01:30:30 The game, the game, man. Cologne left on her dress. The game is the game. I've been beat by lesser men than him. She gone, fellas. Bitches. Yo. I got like $16 in the pot.
Starting point is 01:30:45 No, you good. You good. That's a fun pot. Let's talk about the lesser men that won. Yes. I guess lesser is relative. Yo, why can't I ever win? Oh, man. That was funny. Yeah, I can't I ever win Oh man
Starting point is 01:31:08 That was funny Yeah I can't wait So he turned around though like I don't get no love Man it's like You ain't fucking You ain't not getting no love In a bomber walking man
Starting point is 01:31:17 What you talking about That's crazy This there you sees it On the red carpet All over Yes You were right Nobody cares that I'm here fam
Starting point is 01:31:24 He turned around, though, and put their arms up. Like, what the fuck? Yo, it's funny, dog. That's crazy. You know what's funny? I think about this type of shit in my mind
Starting point is 01:31:32 because it'd be funny a lot, but it's funny when you think of, like, the men that are at the... Like, I'd be joking about The Rock and what if your girl liked The Rock, but those are surface names. Like, when you start digging deep in this category category it's way
Starting point is 01:31:45 funnier like what if albert puos like there's some names out there that you ain't they ain't really at the tip of your mind but but you gotta kind of did yo oh please no no she's gone oh please oh she's got out of here she's moving to whatever wherever he's at to make your girl move to his city. And he got enough bread. She changed her number. That ain't your girl number, nigga. What the fuck you talking about? You can't even reach her.
Starting point is 01:32:11 You share that girl? No. She's not yours. You lost that girl. You don't share her? Yeah, now you have to tell the war stories about when you used to deal with her. That's crazy. You got to tell your friend.
Starting point is 01:32:22 Yo, you know. That's to be bust on ass, my nigga. Yo, that's so corny, though. That's crazy. You got to tell your friend, yo, you know. That's to be bust on ass, my nigga. Yo, that's old corny though. That's old, that's old corny. That's corny shit my niggas do. That's old corny. You know that's my old. Yeah, niggas love that one.
Starting point is 01:32:35 That's my old work. Young AI. Like, AI just walking around like, nigga, AI take them the day. Come on. Everybody, no, no. Some of you niggas is lucky A.I. wasn't in your division
Starting point is 01:32:46 I kept bumping in some of y'all never seen him son I kept seeing him with a hundred chains on freshly done corn rolls son freshly done
Starting point is 01:32:59 when jerseys was in he had all the hot jerseys A.I. was that nigga son yeah no doubt like yeah you take that out hey if I didn't think he was that nigga, you learned me that South Beach weekend.
Starting point is 01:33:08 What's your name? Keisha Karen Kim? Oh, come on. Yeah, all three of your personalities. Come on. And they leaving. And they coming. That nigga was different, bro. And you can't be mad at it. No. The game is the game. The game is the game. That's when you just gotta go back and do some
Starting point is 01:33:23 more push-ups and get your money right. Work on the crossover. That's when you gotta get go back and do some more push-ups and get your money right before the crossover. That's when you gotta get on your level, ho. Get on your level, ho. Get on your level, ho. It only take another nigga to show you what level
Starting point is 01:33:34 you supposed to be on. You feeling yourself, but eh. Eh. Look at the baby. Go ahead and get to it. He was feeling romantic that night, man.
Starting point is 01:33:44 He was feeling intoxicated that night Fuck That's tequila right there Yeah I know tequila Yeah that's definitely tequila Hey fam Did you
Starting point is 01:33:52 Did you see the dude Nah The other dude His His baby mom's brother Oh he cut his hair like He listening to podcasts He listening to podcasts
Starting point is 01:34:04 We told him to cut his hair And he cut it You told that nigga You need to be getting A one with the season And he went and got it I got it too I would've went and got it too
Starting point is 01:34:13 If they fucking Dread Dreaded Dread rolled me down the boat Down aisle nine Dread roll Yo They dread rolled me down
Starting point is 01:34:21 Fucking aisle seven It was a strike Nigga hit all the pins. Nah, I would be mad too. DaBaby gonna go get some sugar, man. Yeah, bro. All right, DaBaby gonna go ahead and get him some charge. That's what you gonna get.
Starting point is 01:34:32 That's what you gonna get, my nigga. Leave these women alone. Go call Old Faithful, bro. What are you doing? Nah, right after the show on tequila, I need some sugar, man. All right. You know the mood he was in. We just didn't know
Starting point is 01:34:46 it was a payable charge. Ain't nothing but cameras in front of him. Yo, it's fucked up. The hood chicks learned about lawsuits, man. It's over. That's like when they learned
Starting point is 01:34:56 about Chanel. Yo, the hood chicks is like, wait a minute now. I think that's a lawsuit. Mykonos. When they found out about Mykonos, you don't even want to go no more. You're like, fuck. Yeah, Mykonos.
Starting point is 01:35:12 Tulum. That was it. Oh, man. When they found out about Tulum, it was it. Mykonos, Tulum, lawsuits, and Chanel. Lawsuits. Oh, man. Yo, he looks hilarious man
Starting point is 01:35:25 that's tequila that's definitely tequila he fucked up look at his eyes he's fucked up you know what you know why this went wrong outside of her
Starting point is 01:35:34 and I want to do it of course this is in comedic fashion typically as a man who feels he is irresistible and this moment never happened between me
Starting point is 01:35:46 and the woman. The man's normally taller so the stare down, the gaze and the lean in to get the kiss, there's more time allowed. This nigga's eye to eye. It was instant. He had nowhere to go. This nigga's eye to eye with
Starting point is 01:36:02 Shorty trying to create that feeling. I ain't gonna to hold you. He might be shorter because it looks like he stepped up on the security gate. It looks like he stepped up to get to the kiss. My man is 6'8". He's shorter, bro. He stepped up on the little security gate. He leaned into the kiss at the wrong height.
Starting point is 01:36:19 He stepped up into the kiss. He stepped up into the kiss. He got his tippy toes in. Wait, what'd he say? He replied to, y'all go ahead on. Hey, he replied the only way you can. Hey, man, y'all playing, man. Yeah, yo, man, y'all go ahead with that.
Starting point is 01:36:36 Y'all got me. Y'all got me. Me and my boo-boos love each other to death, but ain't no kissing going. That's right, DaBaby. That's right, goddammit. Fam. He don't know none of this shit.
Starting point is 01:36:46 Yo, I can't say nothing about him. I've never been the guy to lean in for the kiss when I didn't know that she would kiss back. I've never done it. Yo, it's real. So it's a different type of courage. Yeah? I've done it a few times.
Starting point is 01:36:56 It's very rare, though. And I tell girls, like, yo, dog. Do you know? They threw the cheek at you? Nah. Some would just be like, nah, shit. You're like, you just feel this big, my nigga. It's happened a couple times.
Starting point is 01:37:08 I ain't going to hold you. I've had it happen when I'm in a fight. I told girls, like, yo, dog. When you're fighting with your chit? You know how hard that is? Oh, I'm like, wait, wait. You was in a fight? No, not like a fight.
Starting point is 01:37:17 They be like, oh, I thought you ain't want to talk. You like, fam, I'm not reading the signal. You know how hard that is to just daringly lean in for the kiss? No, no. I have to highlight it. You can't do that today. It's tough. See, that's why I don't do it.
Starting point is 01:37:29 To ask for consent today. I don't do it because if I'm doing it, it's the moment. It's not you. So I'm going to give you the most passionate kiss in the world Saturday night at whatever time it is. And you're going to want that same kiss the rest of the week. And I ain't going to hold you. Nah. No. And then you're going to want that same kiss the rest of the week, and I ain't going to hold you. Nah. Nah.
Starting point is 01:37:46 No. And then you're going to wait a couple months and say, you didn't even kiss me like you used to. Remember how we used to kiss? Why didn't you kiss no more? I was on tequila. Yeah, we're going to get some Casamigos. I can kiss you like that right now.
Starting point is 01:38:00 You don't know this, that my pussy gets extremely wet when you used to kiss me, and then you stop. So now it's like... Is that it? So? Yo, girls is like suckers for the kiss during sex and the talk during sex. Now that I know that, I'm just saying flagrant shit during the sex.
Starting point is 01:38:20 I'm saying anything. They like the flagrant shit. They start making these noises that they want to... Like you hear them just melt. I'm like, damn, that was a lie. You melted off the lie? Yeah. The fuck you think you do?
Starting point is 01:38:34 Now you know why we're encouraged to lie. I didn't want the truth when I seen how you melted over the lie. Now I got... Yo. Asking a question, yo. That's a very good question. That's a very good question. That's a very good question. Look at the response
Starting point is 01:38:48 the lie getting. You want the truth? Yo. The truth just got me heartache and arguments and nah, I'm going to get
Starting point is 01:38:55 these lies off. Especially all in comedic fashion. You going to put that grip on? You put that grip on with the lie? I'm going to keep lying, baby. You the greatest. They be knowing it's a lie
Starting point is 01:39:06 I'm lying for you You like these laws You like the laws That little vice grip you had on Yeah Told me something Told me something I don't want to lie to you
Starting point is 01:39:17 They'll take the lies when your dick is good That's why you gotta get the girls To have small friend groups Cause it just be big friend groups That get them to know that you lying And like act on it you hear this toxic I was like yo
Starting point is 01:39:28 yo you might be future Julian yo yeah future Julian you know how long I've been toxic I think it's new to the game
Starting point is 01:39:34 it's new he the future you the past you good you good you good see what you did yeah good one
Starting point is 01:39:42 you good little past that was a pretty good one this nigga stupid uh Koy Lee Ray says Benzino's threatening her mom because good. See what you did there, buddy. Little pass. That was a pretty good one. This nigga's stupid. Koi Lee Ray says Benzino's threatening her mom because Koi said he went broke during an interview. This is super interesting to me.
Starting point is 01:39:54 Also very triggering to me. Also touchy. It's touchy. Deep conversation to be had here. I don't know if I'm trying to get that deep. But Koi Lee Ray says build a fucking bridge and get over it that's bottom my dad is texting my mom threatening her and me
Starting point is 01:40:10 because I said we went broke on a breakfast club on the day of my album release I hate to bring this shit to social media but my father needs help sorry if I offended you you shouldn't bring it to social media I know we referenced a lot at what point do they learn that some things shouldn't be on social social media. I don't. I know we referenced a lot of talk a lot.
Starting point is 01:40:28 At what point do they learn that some things shouldn't be on social media? But let me finish reading. Y'all think about that. I hate to bring social media, but my father needs help. Sorry if I offended you in the breakfast club, but don't treat me or my mom because you hate to admit that we went broke after the source. Build a fucking bridge and get over it. That's why I don't even like mentioning his name. That's why I never mention his name coming into this industry
Starting point is 01:40:47 because he can't get over his past and don't even realize how much he is damaging when he does this stuff, end quote. That's heavy. It is. That's really heavy. It's heavy. She's young.
Starting point is 01:41:02 She's admitted that her and her dad are in the relationship building process right now that can get tricky with boundaries and both people learning how to treat each other and love each other. Right. So I understand that. This is interesting to me. I'm on her side, by the way. I'm on her side, by the way. I'm on her side in this. I read Benzino's reply,
Starting point is 01:41:28 which was something along the lines of, yo, these kids don't respect the things that came before them and they should know how important it was in paving the way so they could have the proper, the chance that they have now. Something like that.
Starting point is 01:41:45 And while that's true. I don't get what that had to do with what she was saying i i agree with what he's saying but what does that have to do with her statements he's saying they both can be true but i think what you were about to say i can't say what you were about to say, but would it have hurt for her not to say that on The Breakfast Club? I also want to say, she said a lot of great, amazing things about her dad on The Breakfast Club interview.
Starting point is 01:42:16 Gotcha. Okay. I didn't hear it, but... I didn't hear this part. All I heard was the admiration and tiptoeing the line and being respectful and saying, yo, no matter where their relationship is, all I heard was, yo, my dad is the greatest man in the world. Him and I are getting better.
Starting point is 01:42:35 And I just want to make him proud. But I want to do it on my own. It's hard. And it could have been a truthful situation where we might have been going through it for a little while after the show. Right, which is not necessarily. Which may not necessarily be. It may not be a shot. you know what i mean like it's it's hard to judge parents got to get the fuck out of the way if that's what the kid wants of the career i mean yeah that's the angle that i'm taking here i've heard it from too many famous
Starting point is 01:42:59 people's kids i've heard it from my kid these kids and it's a tough pill to swallow for a parent we work our whole life to afford a better life for our kids and then our kid comes and says thanks but i don't give a fuck i need to carve my own way i need to make a name for myself actually lebron was just talking about that on the shop with brawny he said that brawny came up with the name brawny and brawny said dad good looking but move it i need to create my own and that's what coyly uh coyly ray said in that interview that's what i heard it's sad that benzino feels the need to impede on that for a second time he did that with exposing the nicky feature that could have been bad that could have been very that could have ended bad if she don't have that Nikki featuring record things are affected greatly yeah not only that if if that sours that relationship and then Nikki's like yo I don't fuck like I don't even want to fuck with her there's a lot of people
Starting point is 01:43:55 that would not get behind her because they don't want to piss Nikki off and that could have had ripples that really crippled her career yeah 100, 100%. And Benzino, respectfully, you had your time. I know because I was outside. I'm also one of the people that champion your participation in this thing. You can't really unless you are a hater. The source, the records of the old crew in Boston. Made men. Made men.
Starting point is 01:44:24 If you're familiar with Benzino, boy, he's done a lot. But it's her turn now. It's her turn now. And your story can be whatever you want it to be post the source. Post whatever happened. I mean, half for nothing in her success. He still will get some glory, even in her success. Yo. Almighty RSO, that's who I was thinking of thinking that was the other group yeah rso forgot about that yo um
Starting point is 01:44:50 we don't get to tell our kids what their story is if her story and her interpretation is yo when that source shit happened times got rough Then it don't matter that you was up. It don't matter that you want people to believe you was up. It don't matter how difficult that time was for you. Put that to the side. It ain't your story now. It's hers.
Starting point is 01:45:18 And her story is, I remember times being a little tough when that happened. You can't get mad at your daughter for sharing that on the radio when her debut album is dropping. That's not your place. And it's not my place to tell you how to parent. So I won't.
Starting point is 01:45:31 Mind my business. I love both of them. I want them to be all right. It sickens me some of the parent-child stories I see today. Some of the co-parenting stories I see today. But you got to mind your business. This one is sad, because as a dad, you know
Starting point is 01:45:50 what it take for your 20-year-old to get shit poppin' out there. I told Trey the other day, nigga, Coley Ray bustin' your ass. If you don't get your ass out, the fuck? Gotta start looking at the other kids. Hey, nigga. Hey, nigga, What you doing?
Starting point is 01:46:06 You ain't driving around. You better go bang on something. But you know how tough it is for your kid to gain that type of traction? Because you've been there, you know all it entails. It's tough. Shouldn't want to step on that or dim that or bring some dad previous shit into this. No. No. And it was extra tough for her
Starting point is 01:46:27 because she did it without using your name. Yeah. Intentionally. But still, that's taking the harder route. True. Like, niggas didn't know that was his daughter until after she... I didn't. After she popped. I had no idea. So she intentionally... And then she still had to go find a big per.
Starting point is 01:46:44 Yeah. Still had to do it. Whether we know that's your dad or not then she still had to go find a big per yeah yeah still had to do it whether we know that's your dad or not she still had to go and hit the ball out the park
Starting point is 01:46:51 which she did man I hope that they both get better with with their their relationship I care about both of them I'll pray for both of them and this is a unique story
Starting point is 01:47:02 because how often do we get to hear from both sides yes yeah shout out to both of them i hope they work it out oh and benzino says let me read it so people the problem with the social uh social generation is they have uh no respect or regard but who came before them and how they laid the blueprint for them to be successful i always revered those who came before me and i'm grateful to the legends of hip-hop pursue their dreams and aspirations an idiot i don't know what happened
Starting point is 01:47:30 here oh was i supposed to read from the bottom no all you young people who are in their 20s and successful at rapping chances are you still will be rapping in your 50s period when the younger generation starts listening more and respect the older before them, dot, dot, dot, dot, dot. That's hate. It's hate. You can't do that. You cannot hate. And while that could be a segue into hating on your kid or your parents or your significant other, I'll skip it.
Starting point is 01:47:59 But that's hate. You can't say the kids today will still be rapping in their 50s because that's what we did. That's what we did. And if you look, these kids is doing a lot more than y'all was doing. They getting, it's just way more avenues. I think they're going to show us differently. And so that when they're 30 years in, it will look nothing like this. The fucking athletes from back in the day, when you hear them talk now, they oh but they was hand checking back then yeah it's changed yeah yeah it's different things
Starting point is 01:48:28 happening shooting from 40 feet with consistency not only that a lot of these young 20 successful rappers today saw y'all mistakes no they learned from and they learned they looking at we just heard a little baby say if i sign a deal i need equity not only saw some were affected by correct yeah correct it's deeper they put a report out there rihanna is at uh 1.7 bill she's the wealthiest person maybe entertainer ever from barbados but i think they said she might be the wealthiest person in barbados and she's in her what 30s yeah fam they're playing a different game and she's in her, what, 30s? Yeah. Fam. They're playing a different game,
Starting point is 01:49:07 yo. She's setting a path for females coming behind her that Kim or Lauren or even Patti LaBelle, any of them, have set for her. You get what I'm saying? Yeah, right.
Starting point is 01:49:19 So you got to get the old niggas they props, but the young people picking up the time and taking it further. And the old niggas can't hate on the younger ones for doing that. Because there's a lot of that that happens. On my day, we didn't get to do it.
Starting point is 01:49:31 Well, that was your day. It's a new day. Information is here. Do y'all want to talk about the weekend sticking up Coachella, allegedly? Yeah. Let's get to it. Ice, do you believe he stuck up Coachella? I do.
Starting point is 01:49:43 Parks, do you believe it? I'm sure he tried. Let me let the listeners know, Kanye he stuck up Coachella? I do. Parks, do you believe it? I'm sure he tried. Let me let the listeners know, Kanye backed out of Coachella. It was said he was receiving $8.5 million payday. They announced that they booked The Weeknd to fill the slot. And then once that $8 million headline came out, The Weeknd had a headline come out to say, Oh, no, I want $8 million too. I'm not doing it.
Starting point is 01:50:04 line came out the weekend had a headline come out to say oh no i want eight million two i'm not doing it and then we had another headline come out after that to say the weekend got his eight million i don't believe it which part i don't believe he got whatever kanye was getting i don't believe that not for a second when when coachella is a week away yeah that's why I think he got it. To fill that spot in that short term with our backup against the wall and we know the money was there set to pay out, nah, that's what you're paying him. I want that or I'm backing out too
Starting point is 01:50:37 and let you start to scramble all over again. Then you can back out. Or we pay you and you don't back out. And I do think they paid him so he didn't back out. I just don't think they paid him what Kanye was going to be paid, even if it says Kanye was going to be paid $8 million.
Starting point is 01:50:51 I could see shit. He might have should have asked for more. Yeah. It's possible. I wouldn't be shocked if Coachella put that shit out. Yeah, Kanye was getting $8 from us. Because The Weeknd can get $8.
Starting point is 01:51:01 But Kanye probably was getting more. Kanye wasn't getting a fucking $8 million. Put that down there so that, yeah, this is what he'll take. And if he was getting eight million in fees, then I'm sure Kanye's production budget is different from The Weeknd's production. But there is a difference somewhere in this. It ain't the same fee for Coachella.
Starting point is 01:51:18 That is speculative on Joe's part, but I know enough to know that. And on top of that, now the headliner isn't just The Weeknd. It's The Weeknd and House Mafia and The Weeknd. Yeah, you didn't get Kanye money with Split and Stop, yo. Stop. This is more that The Weeknd, you my man. But I don't even know that he put this out. But this is smoke and mirrors.
Starting point is 01:51:37 Not that it matters to me. Long as they on the stage. Yeah. I'm probably not watching that lineup. No way. And that lineup, Swedish House Mafia The Weeknd Doja Cat
Starting point is 01:51:47 Joji Jamie Ron the Jewels Carol G Maggie Ryan Ari Lennox oh this day needed help anyway
Starting point is 01:51:54 oh now no they didn't give nobody no fucking 8 million for the Sunday we made our money Friday and Saturday the axe on Sunday let you know what's going on Give nobody no fucking $8 million for the Sunday. Yeah, I'm not for nothing. We made our money Friday and Saturday.
Starting point is 01:52:08 The Axe on Sunday lets you know what's going on. I know y'all gonna try and kill me and say I'm saying something flagrant in the audience, but it's true. Alright, top line of the Axe Sunday. Let me read you Friday top line. Lil Baby, Daniel Caesar, Foby Bridie Bridgers Big Sean Grupo Fermi I might be fucking somebody's name up uh Louis DeChalle
Starting point is 01:52:28 Baby King Billie Eilish Billie Eilish Flume Megan Thee Stallion Disclosure 21 Savage Danny Elfman
Starting point is 01:52:36 Stromae Givion Anita and Doja Cat Jamie X Run of June yeah no all these days
Starting point is 01:52:43 all these shit's attached to me. Yeah. No. Yeah. Okay. All of them. I'll continue reading.
Starting point is 01:52:52 I like some of the other cards, actually, but. Yeah, I was about to say. The top line is. Still Woozy, King Gizzard, Snow Allegra, City Girls.
Starting point is 01:53:03 Yo, this goes back to Vince's point About Vince is on Sunday Vince is on Sunday On the second line Oh so I'ma shut up I won't say Vince's point
Starting point is 01:53:10 Yeah But Vince had a festival point They got Mariah the Scientist On the very last line On Sunday Great four pack She put out Still on that
Starting point is 01:53:21 Shout out to Mariah the Scientist Sunday Griselda You're looking at All this put out. Still on that. Shout out to Mirage of Scientists. Sunday. Griselda. You're looking at all this. This is a crock. This is a
Starting point is 01:53:31 fucking money grab. It's a pyramid scheme. Yeah. This shit is a fucking scam. Yes.
Starting point is 01:53:37 You're right. I agree with that. There goes Joe hating on artists that are more successful than him.
Starting point is 01:53:43 I don't even think this is hate. This is just acknowledging something. Amber Marcus on Saturday. Album of the year. Prove me wrong. All right, what else?
Starting point is 01:53:54 What else we got? Congratulations to The Weeknd. Shit, if you got a million, I'm happy. Yeah, get it. You got your bag. That's a hell of a check. Shout out to him. And Swedish House Mafia.
Starting point is 01:54:04 Shout out to them as well. And it's a look for him because he didn't do the Grammys, boycott the Grammys, all of that. So now you come back a week or two after that and you get the top slot at Coachella. It's a shout. Alex, we don't care. Do we have funeral horns? I've never heard of funeral horns. Oh, yeah, something.
Starting point is 01:54:24 Just play the Undertaker theme song. Yeah, Undertaker song. Yeah, I know what you're talking about. Yeah. Yeah, let's get it out of here. Winter is over.
Starting point is 01:54:31 Something sad. Just end of the road. End of the road. Gotta do it. That's funny. Gotta do it. Yeah. Yeah, enough.
Starting point is 01:54:39 It's. Enough. You guys have only seen the darkness. What's more, man? Yeah, that's what I'm fucking saying. only seen the darkness. I was born. Yeah, that's what I'm talking about. End of the road. End of the road.
Starting point is 01:54:51 I've been holding out hope. I've been holding out hope. I mean, maybe, maybe, maybe they'll turn it around. What you giving us? The blizzard is over. The temperature is rising. It's melting. Snow is melting.
Starting point is 01:55:14 The polar ice caps. Global warming. Everything, man. Let's blame global warming for this. This is revelations happening. This shit is done. I don't know who they had to hire. They didn't hire him. I would have went't they did this themselves i would have went and got 50s writers
Starting point is 01:55:29 from power no no they might have did that no the first battle oh okay i don't went got all them niggas and gave them whatever bag they wanted snowfall is terrible now terrible now this season has been terrible. Basura. Thank you. Can I just get a, oh, you was right. You was right. Thank you. I just wanted one. I'm an optimist, man. I'm holding on hope that this show that I held in such high regard couldn't possibly, they were just
Starting point is 01:55:57 taking us somewhere, you know what I mean? Couldn't crash and burn this back? Nah, they were just taking us somewhere. They've already announced next season will be their last. Clap that. That's what we clap. Yeah. Clap it up for O'Yella. Maybe it'll be like a short season, too. I want it.
Starting point is 01:56:10 Three episodes. Mini series. Mini series. I think it's about to get gangster, though. Clap it up for O'Yella. They got to. I think next week it's going to get a little rough. It's two episodes left.
Starting point is 01:56:18 It's episode nine next week-ish. What the fuck else is there to do? This was the eighth episode of the season. Know what I'm saying? I think some real shit is... It's a wrap. Next year... I mean, next episode of the season. No, I'm saying I think some real shit. It's a wrap. Next year. I mean, next season is the last.
Starting point is 01:56:27 So now they got to start doing some eccentric shit. But what we're saying is they only have two episodes to do it. I know. No, I'm just saying. I think any television series ever created by episode nine on a 10 episode order. I expect them to be getting into something by episode. No, I'm saying something besides just acid. Yeah, I'm saying I think in the be getting into something by episode nine. Something besides just acid. Yeah, I'm saying I think
Starting point is 01:56:47 in the next episode or one to come, two or three of the main characters will be dead. That's what I'm saying. They all could die. Set a nuke off. Yo, she got crazy. If I thought shooting at the TV would do it, I would.
Starting point is 01:57:04 Word is born. I'm done. Take O'Yella in the back and put her out of her misery. That's what Snowfall is at this point. Shit is disgusting. Fam, the very, spoiler alert. I don't care. Nah, we can spoil this shit.
Starting point is 01:57:20 The very first scene is the pregnant girlfriend, who we still don't know the fuck you came from. It was. Came from TJ Maxx. Going to meet the op, who just tried to spray everybody. Say, yo, dogs, am I safe? No, I know he told me I'm good, but am I safe, though? Mr. Op, can you put the cigarette out? Because I'm pregnant.
Starting point is 01:57:42 Mr. Op. Not only am I his girlfriend, I'm carrying his child. So if you really want to get at him, I'm the person you should really get. Yeah, I'm right here. And I'm right here. I don't know if I'm safe, but I'm going to come in here with no security. But I'm going to ask you to talk to you. Guy that just came home.
Starting point is 01:57:59 Right. Who just tried to kill anybody. Shot at anybody. Am I good? Or do I got to go back east? I just heard the whole gang say they was mad worried about him
Starting point is 01:58:07 and he was a threat to the whole operation. I'm going to go meet with him by myself and let him know that I have a baby coming and I'm the one you should kill
Starting point is 01:58:12 in case times get hard. What are you talking about? In case the deal goes awry. And then say, he says, well, I made a deal with him. No, I heard about that deal but I just want to know
Starting point is 01:58:20 from you. From you. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I trust your words. Spoiler alert if you haven't seen this. Don't watch it. It's spoiled. No, no, no. No, no, yeah. I trust your words. Spoiler alert if you haven't seen it. Don't watch it. It's spoiled.
Starting point is 01:58:26 No, no, no. No, no, no. My mom is really mad about how we did Bel Air. If you haven't seen it, just don't watch it. My bad, Mr. Fink. Save yourself. That's all. Don't even watch this shit.
Starting point is 01:58:35 Yo, the chocolate LSD did it for me, man. I mean, it sounds like a good time, but I don't really want to watch that for 40 minutes. Yo, you watch the LSDd shit so this is my tea oh man first of all the last time i saw scully they saved his life right they worked together right got rid of the ops why the fuck is scully standing by the chocolate Niagara Falls ready to fucking... In the middle of the ceremony, by the way. Yeah, you're not even watching my wedding. Then he asked the waitress to get him a water.
Starting point is 01:59:11 They didn't, like... That's how Preen treated me at your wedding. Hey, Joe, get over and take this picture of me and Joe, man. Like, yo, this nigga's the nuptials. Like, that's my man. Hey, get us a water, too, nigga. But go ahead. Hello, nigga.
Starting point is 01:59:30 I thought somebody was going to come through and spray the joint. I thought he was trying to get back at them. Yeah. I thought it was going to be poison in there or something. Something. You know what was the other thing? He did it as a gift. Fam.
Starting point is 01:59:40 He really did. Like, yo, I'm hooking you up. I mean, I do wish someone would have done that at my wedding. But, I mean, besides that point. Why was the whole drug cartel friends and family associate operation at the wedding? The gun guys right there. Thank you. Why is everybody there?
Starting point is 01:59:55 Except for Teddy. The only one with some sense. Teddy don't fuck with them. Because he got some fucking sense. They shouldn't have all been at the damn wedding sitting here. This is a Rico case sitting here. Nigga,
Starting point is 02:00:08 everybody just got convicted right there. Oh, you don't know him, huh? I wish they would have just put an Amazon truck, I tweeted this, or some iPhones or something current
Starting point is 02:00:17 to let us know they don't give a fuck about this. Like the Game of Thrones writers did. All the LED lights in the ceilings didn't do it for you because that did it for me. It's supposed to be in 1977.
Starting point is 02:00:27 They got those fucking Phillips Hue strips in the ceilings. I didn't even catch that. I didn't catch it. Yo, you're right. Yo, you good. I didn't catch it. She is absolutely right, yo. Man, get this shit the fuck out of here, man.
Starting point is 02:00:41 I told you. Drag it out back. What a run it had, man. Nah. It's over. I like the self-reflection of Franklin. You know what? I did. I think it was artistic.
Starting point is 02:00:56 That's other shit that pissed me off, too. When he was screaming. I'm seeing everybody on Twitter, yo, he's putting on an acting clinic. I will say the acting has kept me glued. He's doing whatever. He's a great actor. He is a great actor.
Starting point is 02:01:08 The actors are doing what they're supposed to do. And I think that he's doing what he has to. He's reading that script, too. You know, he's like, oh, tigers? Oh, fuck, I got to turn up, man. Rawr. Shit. Wait, this is the acid for the whole episode?
Starting point is 02:01:21 Oh, fuck. All right. I'm going to go crazy. No, I think this... I don't like the direction. I think this episode wasn't as bad as Y'all Niggas Killed It. I think it was going to be... It was worse.
Starting point is 02:01:32 We're granting it grace. For real. We've been real nice to this episode, man. The writers or somebody here needs to take a cue from the new Grambling's woman's volleyball coach. Fire everybody. She came in there. This is the gulliest shit I've ever seen. Rest in peace, John Singleton, man.
Starting point is 02:01:55 This would have never happened. Rest in peace, John Singleton. The Grambling volleyball coach cut the team. The entire roster. She cut everybody, all 19 of them she cut them niggas or those women some of them on scholarships
Starting point is 02:02:11 oh shit what the fuck dog you don't understand I've been watching the film you don't understand three months on the job or you watch the tape
Starting point is 02:02:22 it wasn't wasn't given what it was supposed to give. Yeah, you got to go. Bump, set, and spike. Wasn't bump, set, and spiking. She went puff. Grambling, put out a note. Hey, we knew she was going to make changes, but we didn't know she was going to do that.
Starting point is 02:02:35 Yo, I like the move. I love it. I like it. I don't like it for the kids that are without scholarships and programs to attend, and at the time it was done, I don't like that. I don't like that. I like the messages. I don't like it in college. I just, I don't like the messages. I'm sorry.
Starting point is 02:02:51 But if y'all wasn't performing, why can't I end this? Ain't no free rides. Get off my team. I'll go find 19 girls from the hood to come spike a ball or do it cheaper.
Starting point is 02:03:06 That's a very important life lesson they all learn. I'm sorry. It is. I just read some shit about AAU coach doing this whole shit. His star player, he sat him because his attitude was shitty. Sat him down. He lost the game. Yep.
Starting point is 02:03:19 Like, yo, you can't do that here. Life lessons. That's not playing for me, nigga. And you know, AAU is big business. Mm-hmm. Sat him. Never mind me when they suspended Jameis Winston for half. You can't do that here. Life lessons. That's not playing for me, nigga. And you know, AAU is big business. Mm-hmm. Saddam. That remind me of when they suspended Jameis Winston for half. If you really great, nigga, win us the game.
Starting point is 02:03:35 We are suspending Jameis. I know. Man, after halftime, nigga, game right out there. The dogs. Hey, our bad. We might have had nine touchdowns in the half. Nine interceptions still, but I mean. I like Jameis, man.
Starting point is 02:03:47 Jameis is nice, man. I like Jameis. Jameis. He's really turned it around. I wanted Jameis. I wanted Jameis. That would have been good. He's turned it around big time in New Orleans.
Starting point is 02:03:55 No, we're going to get y'all Baker and Dwayne in the QB room to talk to each other. I think I'm Mitch. It's going to be so hard to draft a good fantasy team this year, yo. This is going to be nuts. Yo. It's going to be tough. It's upside down. It's going to be luck.
Starting point is 02:04:14 A lot of shit is going to be luck. I'm waiting for August. I can't wait. What's your man you drafted from the Colts last year? You didn't even draft him. Taylor. I auto-drafted and won the championship. I human-drafted my other draft and lost.
Starting point is 02:04:28 What does that say? The algorithm got you, dog. Maybe those algorithms are right. Yankees have not signed Aaron Judge. Why? That's it. I don't have a take. I don't have an opinion.
Starting point is 02:04:44 Y'all know what time it is. I don't. I don't, actually. I don't have a take. I don't have an opinion. Y'all know what time it is. I don't. I don't, actually. I don't. Aaron Judge is not signing no extension for $225 million. Why does everybody know that but the Yankees? I don't know why. You don't know why what?
Starting point is 02:04:58 He wants, huh? Yeah, just that. Why's that? He's street clothes. No, he's not. Damn. No, he's not. Okay. He He's street clothes No he's not Damn No he's not He's not street clothes Sheesh
Starting point is 02:05:10 He be hurt a lot my nigga He gets hurt a lot Damn I'm putting people How many years for the 225? It's an extension so I don't know But you're not signing an extension If you are him
Starting point is 02:05:24 Baseball got that I'm Seven years It's an extension, so I don't know. But you're not signing an extension if you are him. Baseball got that bread. Seven years. You would never. You're seeing too many people get 350 for 10 for you to take that. You're homegrown. You're from the farm system of the Yankees. You're 6'8", 270, you're a home run machine.
Starting point is 02:05:47 We've never seen nothing like this since before I was born. The Yankees just don't get this to fall in their lap. And now y'all don't want to give them what y'all supposed to give them? He's a marketable dude. 30 million a year. What do y'all think y'all are doing, y'all?
Starting point is 02:06:01 And this is the game. And marketable. This is the game they be trying to play, man. I'll trade that nigga. No, you won't. You'll pay him. You'll pay him and make 10x on your side. He just want his side.
Starting point is 02:06:15 That's the funny part, though. You're not going to let him go. This yours? Yeah, you got it. With the Yankees, though, they're going to make that money regardless. It's like the Knicks. We had this conversation off mic last week. Some of these owners don't give a fuck.
Starting point is 02:06:28 If you're Dolan, do you really care if the Knicks winning? Ish, I love you. Get this conversation out of here. Because all we know of the Yankees is championship. It's ownership. It's not like James Dolan and the Knicks where he didn't care. The Yankees and that Cashman. I was touching on your 10x point.
Starting point is 02:06:45 Steinbrenner. You know Steinbrenner want to win. He'll sell the Brooklyn Bridge. That's why this is weird. The Yankees typically pay. They changing. They pay.
Starting point is 02:06:54 They overpay. Everybody. Maybe they tired of that shit. They changing. Yeah, but don't be tired of it when it's your guy. Don't be tired of it when it's your guy.
Starting point is 02:07:03 And when your lineup, when you're pitching when everything is set up for you to win you've underachieved you brought the bum ass coach back fucking coach you don't do it with yours i hate when people do it to theirs yeah i know there's a joke there because people feel like i've done it to my but you can't do that to your people, yo. And he's going to get paid. He is.
Starting point is 02:07:28 They're going to pay him. He's going to get paid. No question. By the Yankees? Yes. Yes. Okay. I don't follow this. The Yankees will fold.
Starting point is 02:07:35 They're just playing some hardball here. This is the first round of negotiations. But what was they saying? The deal had to be done by the start of regular season or something, right? Man, he's getting $30 million a year. They were saying they had it until Friday 105. It's not no money. What do you think he want, $40?
Starting point is 02:07:50 $35? I think that he... I think athlete minds are the same. Same way Debo Samuel, Zeke, all the niggas that hold out. I think that Aaron Judge looks at those other dudes that are $350 and $400 million and says, I'm way better than them. And if I ain't, I want to be the top paid guy in the league based on what I
Starting point is 02:08:09 can do when I'm present. I'm not coming to work for $225 million and somebody else is getting $350, $375 and I'm in the same ballpark. No way. And I'm on the fucking biggest franchise in professional sports. And I'm super marketable. No agent will even
Starting point is 02:08:25 convince him of that. 30 million is like basketball player money. I'm the best in a sport with no salary cap. Man, if y'all don't get this shit out of here somewhere.
Starting point is 02:08:37 So they lowballing him basically. Yeah, that's a lowball. Call hardball. Pay Aaron Judge, yo. They will. And do it fast. It's a little song and dance yo. They will. And do it fast. It's a little song and dance.
Starting point is 02:08:48 I'm confident. But do it fast, though. Do it fast. They ain't got a hundred-something games. People feel better. Yeah, cool. But people feel better at the plate when the plate is full. True.
Starting point is 02:08:58 True. Yeah. They swing that bat with a little more oomph when they are taken care of. You athletes say it all the time. Yo, my future, I want to be stable. I don't know where I'm going. My injuries. Yeah, everyone swing that bat with a little more oomph when they are taken care of. You hear athletes say it all the time. Yo, my future, I want to be stable. I don't know where I'm going. I'm an injury. Yeah, everyone wants that.
Starting point is 02:09:09 Not just sports. Stability. Yeah, well, you go try that at your job. They'll tell your mental health to fuck off. Yeah, true. You're going to perform or not. In sports, the swing is a little... I'm not happy. I'm not the happiest camper today.
Starting point is 02:09:29 Shout out to Aaron Judge, man. I didn't know that's where Parks was going with the end of the road sad music. No, I knew. I thought he was going to talk about him running away from that little brother doc. So I'll cue the music back up again one more time. I am worried. the floor is his i don't i don't want to see no more breakup underground hip-hop breakup stories no that's the new shit i don't like it that's the new shit i don't like it i love those guys i want to see how

More bigger fan of them together. We're here to highlight the crumbling.
Starting point is 02:11:08 I don't want to highlight the crumbling. But they're doing it. Yeah, no. We don't want to do that. May the Lord watch the little brother story. Fonte, been working on this one for five years and calling it an emotional journey is a big understatement. Inspired by my big brother, Questlove's Oscar win, here's the first trailer from May the Lord Watch. The Little Brother Story 2023. Thank you for listening.
Starting point is 02:11:28 LB Business. I'm watching this. Of course. And I hope it's not that bad. Yeah, me too. It could be though. But I hope not. I wonder if they're going to tell the truth.
Starting point is 02:11:40 No. No, right? No. What is the truth? Exactly. The truth is whoever get their story out first. That's the truth. Robert Glasper under there putting fire on.
Starting point is 02:11:53 Listen, man, we need this now. Sorry. Hey, Robert Glasper wants this as bad as I do. Oh, man. Prayers to everybody involved, man. Love those guys. Snigger Parks love praying. He probably don't pray at night either.
Starting point is 02:12:08 He will pray for all these potty topics. Whatever. Praying for the little brother, Doc. No, I'm not praying for the Doc. I don't want the Doc. I'm praying for all the mental health and happiness of all these gentlemen. Yo. Yo.
Starting point is 02:12:23 Your man, Jesse Smollett, released a record a record called thank you god is that your sleeper absolutely not and it is talking about how he feels about his guilty verdicts you want to give us is it a rap record or an r&b record what what happened is did he write it or did the nigerian muscle brown bound brothers write it did lee dan he write it or did the Nigerian Muscle Brown Brothers write it? Did Lee Daniels write it? They did the hook. Did Terrence Howard write it? Did Tiffany Haddish write this?
Starting point is 02:12:53 He's rapping? Yo. Play this. I'm reading the lyrics. No, don't read nothing. Yeah, yeah. Play this. Hey, little brother, sorry.
Starting point is 02:13:01 Backseat. Move aside. Hey, Jussie just dropped. Yo, these niggas, man. man these guys they've been in the news rewind that from the top no i need to hear this not solving a crime taking out the elements of race and trans and homophobia that's straight taking lives but turn around and act like i'm the one that killed the strides. Maybe we stick together. Maybe we read more of these.
Starting point is 02:13:28 Instead of saying that it's above me now, brother, you sure? Wait, pause it. Wait, are you fucking kidding me? Maybe we stick together. Did I? Is this a different Jussie? Yo. You threw your fucking castmates co-workers and
Starting point is 02:13:49 star television show under the bus when everybody was trying to renegotiate you went to subway made up a whole line you dragged this out for years and now maybe we need to stick together if you want to say something so bad, I know you, but I know you fall with. Come on. Let me hear it. I'm good. No,
Starting point is 02:14:10 but this highlights something that I've been talking about for a long time. Studio owners in America. Y'all let any, y'all take anybody little hundred dollars an hour, $150 an hour. Hey man, go ahead. An engineer let you right on inside.
Starting point is 02:14:23 Just ring this bell. This was done on an iPhone in the bathroom. And if I owned a studio, that nigga could come in there and small lawyer all day. I don't give a fuck. This should have been done in the penitentiary. I don't know the audio quality. Sounds like it could have been. Throw his ass behind in the slammer.
Starting point is 02:14:42 Where's my free somebody? Why we don't ever talk about who need to be locked up? Lock him up. It's been four years of this. Oh, shit, yo. Lock him up. That's funny. Play the rest, man.
Starting point is 02:14:55 All right, let me get back to you. Hold on. Oh, man. That nigga is going to, boy. Yeah, I don't get this. I'm sorry. You're going small, are you? People searching for frames. People chasing that cloud.'t get this. I'm sorry. I think I'm going small AU.
Starting point is 02:15:06 People searching for frames. People chasing that clown. Just remember this. This ain't that situation. You think I'm stupid enough to keep on reputation. Just hope you two look like a victim. Like it's something fun. I better look at someone else. That's the wrong one.
Starting point is 02:15:20 Yes, Jussie. We think you're stupid enough to ruin your reputation and your career with this fucking crazy lie i do think that if you're asking me and i don't think you alone it's just the other lies that these hollywood dudes do if i say it they'll cancel me on the spot but i still want to get to terry cruz one day y'all let him get that off. And went right back to work. Why y'all let Terry Crews get back to work, y'all?
Starting point is 02:15:51 Yes, you can. Okay. Go back to it. You got the wrong one. No, we got the right one, Jussie. He got the nerve to put the lyric break down. You know what he got with Rob? Why is he rapping like Prince? Don't thank me. I want you off the streets.
Starting point is 02:16:23 Yo, turn this off, man. Yo, who wrote this? Maxwell? Jimmy Cozier wrote this? Yo, you being wild disrespectful. I'm asking you who wrote this. He wrote it. That's his words. That's how he feel.
Starting point is 02:16:36 This sound like a fucking Glenn Lewis record. This sound like Michelle D'Angelo. This nigga thinks he's Michelle D'Angelo. This nigga thinks he's Michelle D'Angelo. That's my girl too, but I did never know how to pronounce her name, but she got slapped.
Starting point is 02:16:54 You don't know either. It's a complicated name. I'm not trying to be funny because she's hurt. She's really hurt, but I never knew how to pronounce her name. This nigga put out
Starting point is 02:17:03 a Tracy Chapman record ghost wrote this instead of sharing shade of rooms and up on CNN that's why from LD to Don Still got love for y'all I know we'll meet again Talk like real men Instead of sharing shady rumors And I don't see it The thunder's mad loud Still I'm pushing through the clouds All I really wanted to do is make my people proud
Starting point is 02:17:35 Fame is nothing real That's how you make them feel Celebrity is for the first Yo can you turn this bullshit off All that I got is you. Yo. This nigga fucking made a PM Dawn record. Rest in peace, PM Dawn.
Starting point is 02:17:59 Prisby. Oh, shit. Still pandering. He put the Rainbow Push Coalition What is STB Safety And Illinois Innocence Project Every single cent of artist profits Are being donated
Starting point is 02:18:16 He fucking taking a page out The Black Lives Matter girls page They went and bought a mansion Hey Can I Hey Listen paid. They went and bought a mansion. Hey, can I... Hey, yo. Hey, listen. Can I ask the question?
Starting point is 02:18:32 The Black Lives Matter girls went straight to Zillow with y'all money. Why y'all mad? Who's mad? Them. I want to know why they mad. Because they shouldn't have bought a mansion
Starting point is 02:18:46 with the Black Lives Matter money. Why don't get mad when Pastor do it? Pastor took the building fund and built him some shit. He built something. He built him something. But he built something. From the ground up.
Starting point is 02:19:05 And the pastor. They black, so they showed they lives matter and bought a house. The pastor got the greatest markup in the world. You got to go buy some wine and crackers. Hey, the pastor tell you your money going to God. You know that money ain't tangibly going to God. He God.
Starting point is 02:19:23 God doesn't ever pay to kill. It's like when you tell your girl, I'm too loud. They said black lives matter. They black. Well, they mad enough to need a mansion. Yeah. Black lives matter enough to need a mansion. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:19:33 Their livelihood mattered. Pastor, take the tithes and offering and go get him a Benz. Rolls Royce. Brother Johnson could take in a bus to work in the rain. That's bullshit. Come on, man. Stop like... Brother Johnson's shoes
Starting point is 02:19:51 leaned over. Pastor out here with a lamb bar. Pastor Taylor, nigga. Bruh, with a lamb bar. All right, well, let me tell you another difference. When the pastor take your money,
Starting point is 02:20:01 you know when the next time you see him? Sunday? In the church. Because he coming back for more. They did an interview in the house they bought. They started conducting the black light. Hey, come meet us over here.
Starting point is 02:20:15 Fucking Bel Air or wherever they at. That's the write off. Yeah. You can't do that. No, no. We ain't want to rent the space. Yeah. What are you talking about?
Starting point is 02:20:24 Man, it feel comfortable. We could sit down. Throw their ass in jail too. Oh, no. We ain't want to rent the space. Yeah. What are you talking about? Man, it feel comfortable. We could sit down. Throw their ass in jail too. Oh, man. I got a list. We need to build a jail. What? Who else on your list?
Starting point is 02:20:38 Who did we say? You got Jussie. Jussie. These girls need about 10 days. They need a few days. Tekashi need to go too. Tekashi need a little visit, like scared straight, but like a 30-day scared straight.
Starting point is 02:20:56 And Jim Pop? And Shadi Sell. Yo, Parks, what was you playing? I'm not fucking with him Yo What you think Shoddy Face would do If they didn't sell open
Starting point is 02:21:09 And Takashi walked in Like Thanksgiving right Look just like Big Boy did Thanksgiving or Christmas I know Which one would it look like I think it is
Starting point is 02:21:18 I know that ain't And Takashi coming back Oh it's over Y'all niggas It's hard to have A music career Coming off that shit He did And Tekashi coming back. Oh, it's over, y'all niggas. It's hard to have a music career coming off that shitty day. This world is going to shit. You think it's going to pop and be over?
Starting point is 02:21:36 No, it's over. It's over now. They keep trying to jazz it up, but I ain't seen no security around them in a little while. I'll know it ain't over when the expense look it's braids ain't the same no more they stopped
Starting point is 02:21:50 sending them to the African braid they just got some bullshit in there I don't even want to talk about this come on let's move on
Starting point is 02:21:56 all I was doing was helping we can talk about whatever you want I say it every twice a week that we can talk about whatever
Starting point is 02:22:01 you want take it away yeah Blackstar album coming true let's talk about some real want. Take it away. Yeah. Black Star album coming. True. Let's talk about some real hip-hop.
Starting point is 02:22:07 Through Luminary. Which I think is kind of interesting. Let's say May 3rd? 24th. Oh, May 24th. First album in 24 years. May 3rd, you're correct. I had the numbers.
Starting point is 02:22:20 Oh, okay. May 3rd. Yeah, May 3rd. Coming through Luminary, which is their podcasting platform. Okay. I'm going to have that album in my phone, in the music app. Black Star, Mos Def, Talib.
Starting point is 02:22:34 I'm going to let y'all know I'm not getting it through your podcast app. But I will have that album, and I will be listening to it, because I am a fan. Yo, Talib, just put your cash app in the comments and I'll shoot you the bread. You know what I mean? That way. I'm not even doing that after you bootleg.
Starting point is 02:22:51 It's not bootleg. No, but I'm paying directly. Yeah, straight to consumer. Direct. That's it. Gotcha.
Starting point is 02:22:58 Fuck the middleman. Gotcha. Are we excited about this? I'm excited about the album. It's Mad Lib Produce. It's been done for a while, I think. They played it for a million people. Everyone says it's great.
Starting point is 02:23:09 By how long? It's been a couple years. They've been talking about it. Oh, okay. See, I thought this was something new. Mark, shut up. Why? Because that's what they always do.
Starting point is 02:23:18 What you mean? Everyone's been talking about it. Everyone says it's great. I know people personally that I trust their musical opinion. You did this with the Busta Rhymes album. I'm not doing it. Okay. That Busta Rhymes. No, you did this with the Busta Rhymes album. I'm not doing it. Okay. That Busta album wasn't bad.
Starting point is 02:23:27 I like that Busta album. ELE 2? That wasn't bad. That was a good album. Who said it was bad? I'm going to stop having y'all do that. Who said it was bad? My statement is about
Starting point is 02:23:39 the greatness that they said. Who said it was bad? Okay. Y'all are going to stop doing that to me. They're doing it to me too, so I understand exactly what you mean. You never said that. Yeah, we only talking about the greatness of it.
Starting point is 02:23:51 If I hear it, it'll be because Ice sent it to me. I'm not going to Luminary to hear it, but I do champion different ways of releasing music, especially if you already have a deal here. That is smart. I'm not mad at it at all. Trick the system. Try some shit. Experiment. Be creative.
Starting point is 02:24:05 I like it. I like it. Shout out to Blackstar. And it's got to be exciting for Blackstar fans. Hell yeah. Yeah, it's got to be exciting. I can't wait to hear
Starting point is 02:24:13 some new Mos Def music. It's been 15 years or something since he put something out. Yeah. Yeah, it's true. And he's one of those ones that you can't lose it.
Starting point is 02:24:21 Madlib albums are pretty solid historically. You know what I mean like he most is one of the ones that you can't lose it yeah facts so I'm looking forward
Starting point is 02:24:31 to hearing this album me too do y'all want to talk about the white girl that murdered her black boyfriend and then released the OnlyFans video
Starting point is 02:24:39 allegedly and now there's footage popping up of her covered in blood and then they pulled up the old tweets of the black boyfriend where he was kind of hating not kind of he was hating on black women saying that he don't date them and just how they are lower class but he didn't say that but he had a lot of tweets about it i'm getting with a white girl. My dream girl is a white girl. Fuck these black girls. That's what was the premise of the tweets.
Starting point is 02:25:07 And then when those tweets were resurfaced, a lot of people had a lot less compassion for his brutal murder. And I didn't know how to feel about that. I'm a human. I said it last pod.
Starting point is 02:25:23 If there's death, I feel. Tweets I said it last pod. If there's death, I feel. Tweets don't equate death. You know what I'm saying? I don't want to wish death on someone because I disagree with their life stance. You say different-ish? Certainly not from tweets, personally. I don't wish death on anybody, but life has a twisted sense of irony so if you are sitting around championing
Starting point is 02:25:49 and dissing black women um in favor of white women you can have your preference that don't mean you got shit on nobody else i agree with you 100 so now that you are sitting around if he did that because i never read the tweets he did that, if he did that, because I never read the tweets. He did that. But if he did that and that, it's ironic that your white queen poked you up. In his sleep. Oh, he was asleep. I didn't know he was asleep.
Starting point is 02:26:21 From what we know about it. But you know what's even crazier? We're going to start talking about irony. I didn't even know they had pictures of her bloody until today. But she didn't get arrested. She didn't get charged. She didn't get nothing. What?
Starting point is 02:26:34 Nothing. Came to the house. Yeah, he did. No handcuffing her. Nothing. That's crazy. New video showing the bloody aftermath of a domestic disturbance in miami which ended with one man being stabbed to death and a woman covered in blood
Starting point is 02:26:48 and the footage obtained by tmz nobody ever stops to say how tmz got such important footage you see the woman in sweatpants and a bra handcuffed and soaked in blood as she sits on the floor of a luxury apartment talking to police alex do you want to scroll you want to just thanks cops responded sunday to a call about domestic violence when they got there they said they found a 27 year old man with an apparent knife wound who was rushed to a hospital where he was pronounced dead uh police say the man i won't pronounce his name uh and the woman in the video were involved in a physical confrontation that turned deadly i'm looking for what the cops, what happened when they arrested her.
Starting point is 02:27:26 Cops are not released. My story, the last story I heard, this was yesterday. She never got arrested, but they put some type of clause on her. They put a clause on her. Don't flee type of thing.
Starting point is 02:27:40 Not a don't flee. They categorized her as something that provided her with a different treatment than that of a usual murder suspect. I didn't hear that part. This is just nuts regardless. It's not based on a psychiatric hold. Due to how they labeled her, whatever this label is that i'm not remembering it says as for why courtney wasn't arrested we're told that she was taken to the police department in question and reportedly threatened to kill herself and the police department placed her on a psychiatric hold
Starting point is 02:28:15 okay so arrest her ass and still take her to the hospital i don't rest her ass and take her to the psychiatric ward in the jail i don't want to see white women killing their black boyfriends and I also don't want to see black women championing the death of a black man. Can I not want to see either of those? Absolutely.
Starting point is 02:28:34 Because I don't. Absolutely. I don't want to champion the death of anybody. That's not funny. It's not cool. It's not funny. And I know the internet
Starting point is 02:28:44 don't care. The internet just be saying shit in passing but people have families mothers fathers brothers kids i wouldn't even want to see a stranger speak about my loved one that way even if you have a problem with him and how he chose to live his life you mean you want to have some type of respect for the family i would think but nobody thinks about those things when we're just typing things on the internet no no not at all nobody cares about any type of feelings look at julia fox chiming right in it sounds like self-defense thanks julia thanks a lot where'd that sound come from gotta be careful gotta be careful who you
Starting point is 02:29:21 give a microphone to that's true i'll keep telling'all, we have heard entirely too much from Julia Fox. You need to shut the fuck up. I've never heard this much from her before. I've never heard of her. Yeah, word. I watched that Adam Sandler movie. She came out of nowhere. I didn't know that was her.
Starting point is 02:29:35 That who? The Adam Sandler movie. What movie is that? The one I didn't like. Huh? Uncut Gems. Uncut Gems. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:29:45 I just, I'm not a fan of the, I know y'all just said it, Huh? Uncut Gems. Uncut Gems. Yeah. Yeah. I just, I'm not a fan of the, I know y'all just said it, but just the way it's, oh, this is what he said? Oh, well then, all right, cool, good for him then. I just don't like that part. Yeah, that's right. You know what my problem with cancel culture is? Like, why haven't they found the dark web yet? Like, it seemed like that's where their powers would be
Starting point is 02:30:06 put to real good use it seemed like they on the regular internet watching just looking to pick up shit and cancel people like if they just put their energy together and find the dark web i feel like they'll have a lot of cases to unpack cancel them there human trafficking rapists selling body parts brains it's not it's not being seen i'm about to say there's no attention in that there's no attention there that's what it is baker acted is the term she was baker acted and the baker act is a florida law that enables families and loved ones to provide emergency mental health services and temporary detention for people who are impaired because of their mental illness and who are unable to determine their needs for treatment the act was named after maxine baker former miami state representative who
Starting point is 02:30:55 sponsored the act in 1972 people who require the use of the baker act have often lost the power of self-control and they are likely to inflict harm to themselves or others. I'm not reading the rest of this. This young lady shouldn't have been Baker active. No, this is the foundation for the temporary insanity play. That's it right there. They digging the foundation
Starting point is 02:31:18 right now about the later Britain. That's what that is. I could already, I don't even want to say it. I could see it. Yeah, that's what I was getting at. That's what I was going. They got the stand your ground shit. They have all that. I could already I don't even want to say it I could see it that's what I was getting that's what I was going they got the stand your ground shit
Starting point is 02:31:26 they have all that you can already see it if they find a way for the stand your ground shit to work when dude was asleep I'll be amazed that's the only thing they're going to have to prove
Starting point is 02:31:34 he was asleep they said it was a domestic violence yeah it says a physical they said it was a dispute already an altercation occurred so now if only she and he
Starting point is 02:31:42 are in the house they can Trayvonin this case because nobody is there present to go against her word which leaves a reasonable doubt and she walks free the coroner and a few other people should be able to tell determine if he was sleeping up yes now i wonder if they'll get into whatever domestic dispute happened the night before and what it did to her mental state so it don't matter that he went to sleep. She's free. Unfortunately.
Starting point is 02:32:09 That's kind of what I see too. They were involved in a physical confrontation that turned deadly. Free. Yep. Florida? Free. All day. And I'm not even making that racy. I'm just saying. No, no, no. It's Florida. That's what Florida does.
Starting point is 02:32:26 I was going to jump in and say, I don't know why anybody would move to Florida, but I've said every month this year that I'm getting a place in Florida for tax purposes. And the other place that gives you some relief is Texas. Texas.
Starting point is 02:32:43 Look at that. Right. Some tells me that's not coinkity. I'm just not smart enough to know why. I don't know either. We can move on.
Starting point is 02:32:57 There's some reasoning in there. Yeah, I don't know it. It might be. I just don't. I can't. Don't seem like a coincidence. That's all. What else?
Starting point is 02:33:07 We can talk about that girl getting cheated on on Patreon. You want to do part of the show? Yeah, let's go. They loved our last one. It's been fun. It has been. And if we could pick somebody else with a fat... I did.
Starting point is 02:33:22 That was by mistake. Fat idea. That's what I'd be wanting Parks to do instead of trying to sabotage me so his seniority can take over. All right, let's see. All right, we got Thomas. And Thomas says, My son's mother, whom I've been separated from for about seven years now, got into a serious relationship. And now she's switching up her energy towards me as if I did something wrong.
Starting point is 02:33:49 We've always maintained great communication, a friendship, a closeness that some people don't understand because our relationship ended in divorce. But we always been good. We have about a 64. We have about 60, 40 custody. I pay for everything regarding my son and a lot that isn't for her. But this new dude comes around and now she's using terms like per our custody agreement and can we talk via text. Don't come to the door. So question, should I tell her to tell her man to grow up and press her about the unnecessary energy shift to our system or should I just leave it alone and reciprocate this new energy
Starting point is 02:34:27 option one for me option two for me yo they haven't been together for seven years so he's clearly saying yo she's moved on I've moved on and you my nigga and we mad cool and we mad fly and we raising a son
Starting point is 02:34:45 when you fuck up that dynamic number one it's gonna fuck up our relationship and the odds are the kids gonna see it
Starting point is 02:34:54 and it's gonna fuck up they coolness like I know mad relationships the baby mother baby father come in get something to drink they borrow money
Starting point is 02:35:02 from each other they tease each other I've dated a girl in college where she had two sets of parents basically you know i'm saying like her mother moved on her father moved on and everybody would be at the cookouts and all of that shit collectively i think that was dope like it fucked me up when i first saw that um i think that the kid is the beneficiary of your mother's dope new relationship and the new nigga is mad and secure. That is all about
Starting point is 02:35:27 the new nigga if she wasn't doing that before. 100%. That's all about him. And I think that's corny that you would take that stance. I'm not fucking your chick. We mad fly.
Starting point is 02:35:35 We have a kid in common, my nigga. Grow the fuck up. Ice. I agree with everything you said. I think that it's the baby mother's position to say that to him, not yours. I agree, but sometimes said. I think that it's the baby mother's position to say that to him, not yours.
Starting point is 02:35:47 I agree, but sometimes you might need to know. She might not even notice what she doing. I'm answering his question. He texts back and said, please tell me this is the JVP. Yo, this brother needs us, yo. Yo, you lying. I'm dead ass.
Starting point is 02:36:02 What'd your initial text say? I'm just curious. Is this Thomas and he yeah he was ready nah he is he's ready look he's still typing
Starting point is 02:36:09 I got clouds nah just call him dog yeah I'ma just call T-Money just call T this brother needs us yeah T needs some help yeah let's hit up
Starting point is 02:36:16 little T my nigga T-Money yeah we can't call him big T he going through it hello yo Thomas we here for you, dog.
Starting point is 02:36:25 Hey! Damn, even your happiness sounds fraudulent. We got you, King. Thomas, this is a triggering question that you're asking. How old are you? I'm 35. Ish, you want to tell them where you were going and then Ice can pick up? Thomas, what's going on? I'm 35 Ish you wanna tell him Where you were going
Starting point is 02:36:46 And then Ice can pick up Thomas what's going on Ish I be DMing you man You be responding all the time Man I fuck with you for that Man I appreciate you You don't have a vagina Oh he does reply
Starting point is 02:36:56 Oh he does reply Oh got it No he doesn't Yo you ignorant my nigga Something wrong with this guy Yo I'm going with option one. I think you need to sit down with your baby mother
Starting point is 02:37:08 and have a real conversation. Like, yo, our relationship for the last seven years has been A-OK. You're going to allow this new entity to come into our relationship and potentially fuck it up for us and the kid. Yeah. You know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 02:37:22 Like, I think your dude is insecure. Thomas, I need you to tell the truth, though. When the last know what I'm saying? Like, I think your dude is insecure. Thomas, I need you to tell the truth, though. When the last time you hit that thing? Don't lie. I'll be a thousand honest. We separated in 2015. We messed around maybe, like,
Starting point is 02:37:37 twice. When is the last time? No, in the first year. She's in a relationship. What are y'all doing? No, honestly, we haven't done anything. We've been nothing but great friends. We've been mad cool. We had an understanding that even though the relationship ended,
Starting point is 02:37:54 let's keep the love that we shared in creating this child together so that we can raise this child in the same manner as if we were still together. That's amazing. You are blessed. Let's not let the child suffer because of that. That's that that's a blessing and we kept that going and where her her mindset is she's like you know because we got married really young so once we got divorced she was like okay i want to you know and we we divorced separate you know amicably but it was like she wanted to live young wild and free so she didn't really get into a relationship right away so like
Starting point is 02:38:22 i explained to her is that you're experiencing things that i experienced already getting a new relationship serious relationship the person doesn't like how cool we are they put the little you know they'll put roadblocks up i don't like her i don't like the way they're doing this blah blah blah but now that she's going through it and it's later stage we feel the effects of it now but why does why does she have to handle it the way you did because she's the one the main one champion. The idea like, hey, if you get with a woman, she needs to be mature enough to handle our relationship. She needs to be mature enough to understand that you pull up sometimes.
Starting point is 02:38:54 Thomas, that doesn't matter. That does matter. No, it don't. It matters not. That does not matter. Why doesn't it matter? I hate when y'all say that. If she's dictating it when it's me on the opposite side,
Starting point is 02:39:06 why does it not matter? She gets back to me the same way. Because she's still, that's a human thing. She still don't have to subscribe to what she's telling you is the right thing and what you would like to happen. It's different when you're on the other side. What's the difference in co-parenting? That's co-parenting.
Starting point is 02:39:20 I hate when y'all do that. It's us coming to an understanding that we, you're suggesting things that I'm suggesting things and we kind of understanding if you're championing an idea it should apply to you no don't always work like that yeah you champion the idea that you want to apply to you that don't mean i'm gonna stay in that boat humans put so much stock in words that don't mean that so here you are now unfortunately this is my opinion these brothers can share afterward the cope your co-part in this is to work through this that's why i know you're not going to want to hear that but who she is when while she's with this partner may not be the same as who she is
Starting point is 02:39:59 when she's with the next partner might not be who she is when she was with this other partner and it's your job as the dad to just work through all of it yep hey if the energy shifted guess what that's the new energy until it shifts again yes and no no hell no not yes and no hell no because if you if you take that idea that means i have to sit back and let her switch up and I gotta acclimate to every time you change with a new nigga a child more than anybody can pick up on energy a child more than anybody can pick up energy
Starting point is 02:40:33 if our child is used to seeing us walk up to each other and seeing a certain interaction but now it's not on that they're gonna pick up on that energy wait no no no you're saying a bunch of shit that don't matter that's great on that, they're going to pick up on that energy. Thomas, wait, no, no, no. But wait, you're saying a bunch of shit that don't matter. That's great that that happened. If your ex
Starting point is 02:40:50 decides to change that, then your child now gets used to new energy. So I understand what you're saying. You got to communicate it. As men, we're going to communicate it. Yo, why are you doing that? You don't have to do that. It didn't used to be like that. Like, I know you got a man. You're going to say whatever you say, but whatever is happening, that's what's't used to be like that. I know you got a man. You got to say whatever you say. But whatever is happening,
Starting point is 02:41:05 that's what's happening still. You changing it. Hold on. You pivoted. You pivoted. Yeah, that is what's going on. He don't have to adjust to that because that means every single time any new nigga that she meets,
Starting point is 02:41:21 Thomas, let me ask you another question. How long has she been in this relationship? I'm going to guess just based off what i don't know he don't know is the answer he says he don't know he answered but he does not know he's got thomas hold up for a second he does not know he's guessing and earlier i'm just throwing this and you could talk earlier he said we divorced and she wasn't in no relationship i went through this he's experiencing a new her go ahead i'm gonna address two things one yeah he's experiencing a new her you gave me a set of rules when the shoes were on my feet to follow no you're crazy you don niggas is crazy.
Starting point is 02:42:05 You niggas don't work like that. Bruh, and y'all be giving them the fucking out. Y'all give them the out. What's the option? What option? Hold up. What option do you have? I got one.
Starting point is 02:42:13 Tell Shorty, I was about to call out her name, pardon me, tell her to tell her dude to grow the fuck up for the betterment of our kid. That's a joke. For the betterment of our child. So you are putting this man's needs before your kid hey fam guess what you are putting this man's needs and this man's insecurities before the betterment of your child you better find it you bet i know i know you agree but that's why you sitting there feeling like that you better find a different route you better find a different
Starting point is 02:42:39 approach it sound like she's serious about him seriousious enough to make changes No, no, no Well, he dumps on her motherfucking head And now she tell you Come in and get some juice No Don't I don't know what he's talking about Yo, dog, listen Most relationships only last a year
Starting point is 02:42:53 Joe, I'm pretty sure You might have had this experience When a new entity comes along I've gone through this And now you're putting ideas in your head That are fucking up How we've done things For seven fucking years
Starting point is 02:43:01 That's true He's all right It's new Welcome to the game Look at the words she's using now we can communicate via thomas thomas thomas thomas thomas you talking to somebody who my kid was calling somebody else daddy against my will i've been through this 90 million times it don't go like you saying it just don't go like you saying disagree if you if you don't have to for seven years that's true and that's the difference of a straight foundation the seven years meant nothing it don't matter better than anybody before and now it's in your
Starting point is 02:43:38 head about some shit fam and now you're like oh maybe because i don't know you know what happens is because i don't want to fight with you. I'm a who's the easiest target. Who's the easiest to remove the fucking baby daddy? I don't want to this relationship, whatever, because I'm invested in this right now. But the baby daddy, guess what? We can I can fuck that relationship over because Thomas has always been consistent. Guess what? Even if the relationship ends, I can always come back and switch up on him again.
Starting point is 02:44:02 He's right. He's wrong. He's right. She is treating him like he is disposable. And so what he's saying is, yo, the second that she breaks up with this nigga,
Starting point is 02:44:14 now you're going to put your cool let's go play in the sandbox again. So don't allow it. Get the fuck out of here. So don't allow it. He has to do that for the betterment of his kid. You want your child to see
Starting point is 02:44:23 the two co-parents getting along in a very, very, very ish. That don't always happen. And if she do flip that, if she do flip that, they break up and she try to cool shit again. You keep to know per agreement. Sam, what you are saying is literal. You're saying something in a literal and theoretical sense. You're not going to be at odds with your baby mother to prove a fucking point. I'm not saying be at odds.
Starting point is 02:44:47 And get back at her. That is what you are saying. No, it's not what I'm saying. You're saying, yo, you picked violence. So now you ain't homeboying no more. I'm going to keep it violent. You're not going to do that because your kid is a witness to the fucking violence. Who's saying violence?
Starting point is 02:44:59 I have no idea what y'all talking about. He agreeing. I know that's the problem. That's the problem. Why do I got to switch up because you switch up? When you, we made a, and so now my son has to see a different version of me just to try to match your energy? No. Why does your son
Starting point is 02:45:13 have to, why does your, wait, wait, wait, I'm the deadbeat. Why does your son have to, I'm the asshole. Because his son is accustomed to the mother and the father getting along, having a rapport, and being cool as hell. He asked the question. Joe says, why does the son have to switch up? The son is accustomed for seven years.
Starting point is 02:45:31 No, I said, why does he have to switch up? I wasn't talking about the son. Let me ask you a question. That lady is forcing him to change the way that they've done things. She's not forcing shit. She has a man. Hold on, hold on, hold on, Joe. She has a man.
Starting point is 02:45:40 You can't be cool because you got a man? Maybe not. Ish. Maybe not. And that's corny. Ish. That's how it goes. Let me ask you a question real quick.
Starting point is 02:45:49 That means you got to accept it. Hold on. You don't have a choice but to accept it. But my thing is, he asked what option should he pick. And my option was, I think you should tell your baby mom. That wasn't an option. Yes, it was. That was number one.
Starting point is 02:46:02 That's what you should holler at the dude. No, he didn't say that. Listen, let me ask you a question. He did not say that. Yes, it was. That was number one. It wasn't an option. He hollered the dude. No, he didn't say that. Listen, let me ask you. He did not say that. Guys, guys, this is a broadcast. He did not say holler the dude. He said, should I speak to her? I just want to ask you one question, Ish.
Starting point is 02:46:12 I did not say that. One second. I just want to ask a question. How old was the child when y'all divorced? Three. Two. Guess what? That child learned new routine at that point.
Starting point is 02:46:24 Yeah. It might have been accustomed to new routine at that point. It might have been accustomed to something up to that point. Let me throw a curveball at you. I'm going to throw a curveball at you. Y'all have to stop speaking old routine. My son is on the autism spectrum. My son is on the autism spectrum, right? So we have a special dealing with each other that's going to surpass 18 years of dealing with each other. So he picks up on our energy better than anybody on
Starting point is 02:46:45 this planet he understands he understands the routine he understands the rapport he understands all that in a sec you come flip this shit up his whole everything switches up she's not she is selfish as hell for trying to switch up on us because it's a new entity in her life but what i'm saying is all that may be true the child adapted y'all split the child was used to both parents living in the household till y'all divorced and it was an adaptation it was two same energy what i'm saying to you thomas is that there will be plenty of instances where you think one thing and she thinks another none of that can change how you show up to parent your son it can't you have to be the same amazing dad whether she got a boyfriend she loved got a boyfriend that she might not love hey she's playing the
Starting point is 02:47:34 dating field it's a few niggas she like she's gonna go through different versions of herself and she should be allowed that space especially as someone that waited this amount of time dealing with a special needs child to get to her bag which is now you're contradicting yourself you're contradicting yourself because a few pods ago you said that we're all family and we should be able to sit down and have conversations you said that joe you said that i should be able to come to my baby mom and have a conversation because we're family and that nigga is family too. So guess what? Since we all family, let me tell y'all about yourselves. Thomas, my argument right now is conducive to him being family.
Starting point is 02:48:13 I'm not saying to treat him away or get her to look at him away. I'm saying this guy has a fixture. He has a place now. And you're feeling the effects of that. I'm telling you, like like family you have to find a way around that I'm saying
Starting point is 02:48:28 to change your approach I'm not going against what I said the guy's there now the guy's there yo hey Thomas guess what I know when my baby moms
Starting point is 02:48:37 is dating somebody she liking when she don't she don't have to say nothing to me what the fuck that you not dealing with something that men don't go through
Starting point is 02:48:44 the conversation gets shorter maybe we don't go grab a bike and talk about maybe we talk more about the kid like it feels different you know that and men have to deal with that what which option should he pick one or two that was his question i went with option number one you should have a conversation with your baby mother and tell her to chill the fuck out and tell this insecure ass nigga to man up. Put your fucking corny feelings to the side and worry about my kid instead of worrying about if I'm a poppy a chick. That's option one. That's option one. That's Isha's option that I'm picking.
Starting point is 02:49:20 Joe agrees with option one. I just think that you need to change your approach. What approach? He's asking option one. I just think that you need to change your approach. What approach? He's asking which one. You can't come to her and say, yo, tell that nigga grow the fuck up, man up. I'm the dad. I'm here. He fucking up our group.
Starting point is 02:49:31 You can't do that. He's family. He don't got to say it with that much aggressiveness. But if he was family and being treated as such, then the new boyfriend, if he's family, should have some empathy for the fucking child's father. And he's not family. And you're not family. I agree with Ish when he said that back in the old party.
Starting point is 02:49:45 Like, I don't, that's not family. Because he can switch and change up at any moment. So he can come in like a thief in the night, switch up the whole shit and bounce. That ain't family. Fam. He don't owe you shit. I don't think that nigga's family. He don't owe you shit.
Starting point is 02:49:56 He ain't family. The baby, I mean, the new dude owes you nothing. You know why you're not family? You know why you're not family? Because when I'm not around, I'm pretty sure that you dabbing my son up. I'm pretty sure you hugging him. But when I'm around, you don't even touch him. You don't even say bye to him. That's an awkward situation. You're not family? Because when I'm not around, I'm pretty sure that you dabbing my son up. I'm pretty sure you're hugging him. But when I'm around, you don't even touch him. You don't even say bye to him.
Starting point is 02:50:07 That's an awkward situation. You put you up because I'm around. You ain't family. No, that's an awkward situation. What I'm saying is this. What I'm saying is that dude don't owe you shit. Be clear. He don't owe you a motherfucking thing, in my opinion.
Starting point is 02:50:20 Who owes you something is your kid's mother. Correct. Your kid's mother owes you a certain level of respect and owes you a certain level of grace. So if you and I had a conversation, of a rapport before where... I'm so low. You think they owe you that?
Starting point is 02:50:38 Joe, we know your definition of owing somebody something. It's different than most. They owe you. Because even if your child is in the best mood, that's a mutual... Two businesses came together to try to create another business. You owe me your part of... Y'all can use that O word all you want.
Starting point is 02:50:52 It's plenty of baby moms running around that have zero respect for the dad. I totally agree with that and vice versa. And guess what? The state says that they owe you a certain amount of money because you don't want to be out of it. You can have the respect. Now, the state backs that by saying the dad owes that much money. You need some therapy.
Starting point is 02:51:06 You get into a situation with somebody you owe. You owe what you guys are both planning. What I'm saying is this. The most important thing for you is to be the best dad to your kid.
Starting point is 02:51:17 You're going to have to navigate the circumstances. You asked what our opinion was on how you should navigate it. I gave you what my opinion was on how you should navigate the circumstances. And I agree with you, man. I agree with you.
Starting point is 02:51:27 I think that I shouldn't have to just sit back and watch you switch up. Because if I do, it sets a precedent. You're coming. You're coming. Yo, you're saying you agree with this. Joe's saying the same thing, but you're coming in wrong. You're coming in with the – you don't lay the groundwork. You don't lay the precedent.
Starting point is 02:51:41 You don't run under that. You don't run nothing. Nothing. You need to humble yourself you need to you have to humble yourself Thomas
Starting point is 02:51:49 make sure they're this if you deal with anybody make sure they're this this is the rules the lady said this is the rules we're gonna play by it don't matter what you said
Starting point is 02:51:57 how many times has a girl said something to you and changed up so let me tell you something so let me ask you this a nigga's word in the world don't matter they can change their word
Starting point is 02:52:04 whenever they feel like it right and you gotta acclimate to in the world Don't matter They can change their word Whenever they feel like it Right And you gotta acclimate To what the fuck they said That's not gender specific So I say I'ma come here So I can say Yo
Starting point is 02:52:12 I come here two days a week And I work for the Joe Button Podcast And whenever the fuck I feel like changing up I don't just gotta show up And you don't have the reason To be mad about it then You could be mad
Starting point is 02:52:21 You can always get mad I know I am I know I am Yo when your word says something your word means something if his baby mom's laid down i know his baby mother and in theory and in practicality your words should mean something should but if they don't now what are you that's what i'm saying he has to navigate and he asked us what's the best way for him to do and it's not to hit her and say yo set, set that nigga straight. I'm laying the groundwork, and you're changing the dynamics.
Starting point is 02:52:47 Who the fuck are you? All right, cool. You can't do that. I'm the nigga who complied to your request to the same thing. This is how niggas end up not seeing a kid. I know. This is how niggas end up not seeing a kid. You're right.
Starting point is 02:52:58 100%. Right there. This is how it happens. Because then she'll say, all right, fuck it. You're right. Then they say, yo, hey, you know what? You causing me duress. You causing me stress.
Starting point is 02:53:08 Too many complaints about the hell. I'm running shit over here. You doing too much. You worry about over there? Yeah. I'm off. See,
Starting point is 02:53:14 ain't nobody going to take my kid away. Yo, good luck, bro. I'm not saying nothing else about it. Of course, I'm in my disposal. And I'm in my son's life, so you can't fight that fight with me. So that's why I'm coming to you
Starting point is 02:53:22 as family and says, hey, I see something disrupting you. It could be almost be almost anything and if it's i don't care what it is i'm gonna still come at you the same way like yo what is what is changing you up because this time it may be a dude the next thing it could be a friend after that could be drugs no no no you know what could be it could be a dude a new nigga every nine months and that would be on her as the ex you are divorced you have no say in how she lives her life all you got to do is continue to be dead and you keep coming to her talking about shit that ain't dad shit nah i know i know it's a tough one it's a tough one that's the luck man thomas especially we're
