Starting point is 00:00:00 The thoughts, views, and opinions expressed by this podcast, as well as its hosts, are for entertainment purposes only. I repeat, it is not serious. It is not real. No one is exposing, revealing, indicting, or telling you anything about themselves. Also, we do not encourage you to try this at home. We are trained professionals who do not have your best interests at heart or our own. Enjoy the show. Could've went to Ikea. Nobody cares about expenses.
Starting point is 00:00:30 Could've went to Ashley's. Yeah, this is fucking crazy. Could've went to Ikea's. Could've went to Bob's. Niggas know about me up in Bob's over there. They know about Joe. I forgot the name of the little lower level discount clearance side. They know about me.
Starting point is 00:00:47 Legend. The Pit. It's The Pit. The Pit, yes. Legend in two games. They know about me on The Pit. Furnished a lot of rooms with The Pit. Are we live?
Starting point is 00:00:58 We're live. All right. God damn it. Look, already looking to me. Don't look to me. I'm fucked up and sad. Fucked up and sad since I woke up. Word. All right. God damn it. Look, already looking to me. Don't look to me. I'm fucked up and sad. Fucked up and sad since I woke up. Word.
Starting point is 00:01:09 All right, so let me just start with some sadness. I'm going to try to push us through so we have a good broadcast here. This mic ain't the way it's supposed to be. I'm better than this. Only these niggas talk away from the mic. I talk right into the mic, son. No, you don't. No, I don't.
Starting point is 00:01:24 No, you don't. No, I don't. You don't. I'm telling you, I don't. A year and a half, y'all can't talk. No, I talk right from the mic. Don't care about the mic. I talk right into the mic, son. No, you don't. No, I don't. No, you don't. No, I don't. You don't. I'm telling you, I don't. A year and a half, y'all can't talk. No, I talk right into the mic. Right here. Center of the mic.
Starting point is 00:01:30 Yeah, I know. Let's see. Let's see. Professional. Let's see if the pocket. Want to pay a dollar every time somebody don't talk into the mic? No. I'm worried about me.
Starting point is 00:01:37 Y'all can do what y'all want. Yes, you want to pay a dollar every time somebody don't talk into the mic? Bruh, I'm good, yo. Yo, welcome, welcome, welcome. What episode is this? Bro, I'm good. Yo, welcome, welcome, welcome. What episode is this? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Wait, was that your intro? No.
Starting point is 00:01:51 Welcome, welcome, welcome. I was just trying to lead you. Oh, my God. Oh, bro. All right, bleed on the couch for a second before we get started. Yeah. Rub around a little bit here. A little shimmy.
Starting point is 00:02:04 All right, listen, some days it's tough to come to work. It is. Some days it's tough to come to work, man. Rub around a little bit Alright listen Some days it's tough to come to work Some days it's tough to come to work man That's really just the bottom line I ain't here to tap dance I'm not here to sugar coat it Sometimes when it's rough to come to work You're afforded the luxury
Starting point is 00:02:20 Of like a one or two day buffer Between bad news happening And you processing it. Not today. I woke up bright and ready to get to work, but I was still a little foggy eyed. It's around six in the morning, grabbed my phone and the takeoff news was the very first news that I saw.
Starting point is 00:02:45 Then I had to go throw some water in my face. I thought the phone was bugging. I thought maybe it was just a scuffle or something happened, and I'm just reading this wrong, and unfortunately, I was incorrect. So I want to start with a rest in peace to take off. Condolences to the entire culture. There are too many people I know that have heavy hearts and are in deep, deep mourning right now.
Starting point is 00:03:13 One of the most legendary groups of all time, I'm going to go on the record and say. No doubt. And this is a tough loss, but they all are tough losses. So this will be a tough pod to do. But I cried. I cried. I cried.
Starting point is 00:03:30 I got my tears out the way, hopefully for good. But I cried because you watch these people kind of grow up. That's why. Like, you remember these niggas when they looked a little, not dusty, but maybe the money wasn't there. It was early on. Just signed a contract. Just signed a deal. Long hair.
Starting point is 00:03:50 Not the oiliest. Fucking getting clowned. Mumble rap. The fuck are they talking about? What's going on? Starting point is 00:15:10 Give me something. I gave y'all 10 minutes to fucking get it together. Go ahead. Jump in. I still ain't got it together, man. I don't even know where to... Yeah, it's a hard one. It is, bro. That's some hard shit to wake up to. Woke up early this morning.
Starting point is 00:15:28 Alarm went off when it wasn't supposed... Well, I left it on. And it's kind of like you did. I just saw the phone. I'm like, am I tripping? Yeah, my man sent me the shit. It was just... My man sent me the shit in the middle of the night.
Starting point is 00:15:41 It was like the middle of the night, and I woke up, and I was like, you lying. Like... Why your man texting you in the middle of the night it was like the middle of the night and I woke up and I was like you lying like why your man texting you in the middle of it cuz you know I'm on the biggest urban podcast in the world you're right this is cultural relevance to our podcast asshole nah but
Starting point is 00:16:09 all jokes aside all of the shit that we talk about and we've been talking about with regards to all this racial shit all this
Starting point is 00:16:17 you know what I mean like this Kanye shit all of that shit really don't matter when we really just not taking care of ourselves
Starting point is 00:16:24 and that shit just hit home every when we really just not taking care of ourselves. And that shit just hit home every time something like this happens for me. Yeah, this hit. This fucked me up because as details start coming out, I'm just like, it just was there. You know what I'm saying? You was just there. You know what I'm saying? You was just there. So for the audience that hasn't heard, the story goes that he was in Houston with Quavo at a party. There was a dice game that Takeoff was not part of.
Starting point is 00:17:02 Beef happened somehow. Shots happened somehow. happened somehow and takeoff was unfortunately it that's allegedly I don't have any details this is a fresh story I'm certain that facts will continue to come out this footage online unfortunately like this just fucking it's a lot here I don't know where to begin feels like Groundhog's Day damn near
Starting point is 00:17:30 it's just a sad thing dog it just we hope for it to stop and shit just seems like it's never gonna stop in this particular culture like this this could be this right here this particular culture? Like, this could be, this right here, this particular situation could be anybody, bro.
Starting point is 00:17:51 Like, we all been around niggas shooting dice or playing spades or anything. And that's the part that just keeps fucking me up. It's like, we always say the goal is to get back home. Yeah, that's your primary goal. That's the goal's the goal every day like to make it back home you got loved ones you know you just want to get back home and for something like this like I really am fucked up I don't know no other way to put it that's us us. Why you keep saying that? Expound on that. Probability versus possibility.
Starting point is 00:18:36 Okay. It's a possibility that you could walk outside and get hit by lightning. It's a possibility that you could get ran over by a truck. You know what I'm saying? It's a possibility that you could get ran over by a truck you know i'm saying it's a possibility that anything can happen to you but it seems like
Starting point is 00:18:50 within our within our realms the probability just starts it just it's just higher yo it's just higher like these are successful men young men um that seemingly have escaped the hood. Seemingly being the opposite word. Seemingly, of course. So you think like, I'm out, I'm out. I'm at a party that is with other people of your supposed stature. You know what I'm saying? Monetarily.
Starting point is 00:19:20 Because if you were just around, this is all assumption, because again, we don't have all the details, but it was a party, an industry party. So you think, and if you go to an industry party, that some of these elements may be.
Starting point is 00:19:32 I don't know that it was an industry party. You do not know? I don't know. Well, there's rumors that it was. The host of the party is allegedly. That don't tell me it's an industry party. I've heard those same rumors. That's why I'm making it a point to say I't tell me it's an industry party. I've heard those same rumors. That's why I'm making it a point to say I do not know that was an industry party.
Starting point is 00:19:50 I know who's there. Gotcha. But when, you know what I'm saying? You just think that it'll be a certain echelon of people. I could kind of wear my jewelry. I could kind of be a little looser. You know what I mean? Like if you're in the middle of the ghetto in another state that you don't know nobody,
Starting point is 00:20:03 you might not enjoy it. You might not be in that dice game. You get what I'm saying? Like, cause your P's and Q's, you're in the middle of the ghetto in another state that you don't know nobody, you might not enjoy it. You might not be in that dice game. You get what I'm saying? Like because your P's and Q's, you're going to be up. It's like how I carry myself amongst my friends and in my own hood. Of course, your radar is up. But if I go to Philly or if I go to D.C. or if I go to Memphis, I'm not doing the same shit that I would do in Newark. You follow me?
Starting point is 00:20:24 I do. Unless I feel some level of comfortability. Right. And so my thing is... Or you go to a city and get with some people that provide you with a certain level of comfortability. Comfortability. And then only for it to be a false sense of comfortability.
Starting point is 00:20:40 And I say that it typically falls on us because in other genres, in other cultures, this shit just don't be happening, bro. Like we could lie about it all we want. We could blame it. It just don't be happening. And it's a sad thing that we need to address. We need to address it internally. We can't fix it if we look into the outside.
Starting point is 00:21:02 But what's the part that needs to be addressed? That young black men are being killed at a high- Because people are being killed in every other culture. I'm just going to provide some pushback. Indeed. We may not be privy to all the details of it because maybe they keep it in-house or we not traveling in those circles.
Starting point is 00:21:16 True. That happens. What I'm saying is this. Our entertainers, our millionaires, we are losing people. You don't see people falling by the wayside in R&B. You don't see people falling by the wayside in pop music to violence. I'm not talking about a heart attack.
Starting point is 00:21:36 I'm not talking about an OD. I'm talking about to violence, bro. We are being killed and murdered. You don't see that happening in in other places and we we again we'll address some other shit but we won't address the in-house issues the in-house issues have to be addressed and some accountability gotta start happening okay what does accountability look like am i pontificating right now i don't want to pontificate but i just think this is interesting what you know i just think that yo dog, dog, we, us, we just got to fix it.
Starting point is 00:22:08 We got to do better. We got to, it sounds fake. No, it don't. It just sounds like the very cliche, safe, one-liner. Yeah, idealistic. All right, so look, we can roll this in. And it's true. No, wait, wait, wait.
Starting point is 00:22:21 We can roll this into the puff shit. All right? We can roll into the Puff shit. Puff over the weekend got in a semi-heated argument with the guy, I don't know his name. He plays two-bit on power.
Starting point is 00:22:32 Uh-huh. That could have went way left. Almost did. Puff caught himself. He showed a level of restraint and caught himself. Yo, dog, I don't even want to be
Starting point is 00:22:43 on that type of energy. I don't want to be on that type of time. I love you. Let me get a hug. Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. Puff, he's 30 years in, so I'm not saying that a 28-year-old or a 25-year-old or a 22-year-old will have the training that Puff has, nor the restraint. I'm just saying those types of things need to be more normalized.
Starting point is 00:23:03 We're coming from a situation where we got one foot in, one foot out. So you know how in our neighborhoods how problems get dealt with. We know that. But that has to stop, yo, especially as the money grows.
Starting point is 00:23:13 That has to stop, in my opinion. No? I have so much to say about everything that you just said. You disagree? I don't know if I'm going to call it disagreeing.
Starting point is 00:23:31 Now ain't even the time for that. We'll just talk. And the part I guess I did have something to say about he ended with, which is, gentleman's 28 years old puff has been some version of puff for most of my life and you got to learn these things in real time and puff has had the chance because of how successful partly because of how successful and how much of an earner and driver of inventory he has been, to correct himself. I watched these Migos guys grow up in front of my face, I feel like.
Starting point is 00:24:15 They're like hip-hop's Jackson 5. I'm just freestyling, but I'm cool. I get it. You're right. There was a time where I was on a block that I shouldn't have been on and almost got my head popped off and thank god it didn't happen so now I learned I was able to take the lesson from that and
Starting point is 00:24:30 apply it and some of that was hip hop shit at the time right got a big truck just got it done got my niggas it's a birthday some guns we run over here right right so I just want to be careful about how we address
Starting point is 00:24:46 black loss of life in these moments and so we don't beat ourselves up too much because for me hip-hop the hip-hop is violent yo like that's the uh over overall point for me is that we can't complain about some of these things when every single day there's millions and millions of people basing their lives in these principles. True. That's, I guess, what my issue is. I just said we come from a culture where you one foot in. The culture part. The culture itself, how we deal with issues when they arise in our culture is a certain way.
Starting point is 00:25:30 That's a fact. And I think that needs to change. There needs to be a shift. That's a fact. Let me add on to the culture point. But from the perspective of just gambling. We want to talk about gambling. And we were just talking outside.
Starting point is 00:25:44 You can't even play CeeLo in Vegas. You can't. I'm sure there's a reason for it. I don't know what that reason is, but... I think it's a regional game. Oh, okay. So take CeeLo out of it. They shoot craps too.
Starting point is 00:25:59 There's gambling in Vegas. I won't speak to who runs Vegas, but you can't just go to Vegas and do anything you want. Gambling in Vegas, I won't speak to who runs Vegas, but you can't just go to Vegas and do anything you want. There are invisible boundaries up that you may not even be aware of that are in place because this is high stakes, high value. Lives can be lost if the wrong shit happens here hey take it a step further i use myself we just ran to staten island one night to gamble with our gambling niggas and it was a long dark route and i couldn't tell you how the fuck to get back there. And we was with some niggas that we knew. But when we went in there, it looked militant, military, Russian mob.
Starting point is 00:26:52 Nigga, you couldn't even cheat me if you wanted to. Something would happen to you in here. But this is organized. I guess I'm speaking to the organization of certain things. And that's the area we lack in. Like there is a way to gamble. There's a way to do it safe and peacefully. Some of these spots in the city, I'm talking about the low spots where it was big money, big money.
Starting point is 00:27:22 We searching you when you come in. It's metal detectors, it's bouncers, it's off-duty cop security. It's you know better in your head. It's ran a certain way. It is ran a certain way. Certain shit where you know better. So it's unfortunate that there's a party.
Starting point is 00:27:38 I don't know what type of party it was, but we all party. It could happen. And again, we have the luxury of hindsight here. So I'm aware of that. That's true. But it's a party. We all party. It can happen. And again, we have the luxury of hindsight here. So I'm aware of that. That's true. But it's a party. We all party.
Starting point is 00:27:48 We all been out of town and partied. For sure. We all have tried to move in a manner to which we would be able to get back home. And I've been a part of being the peaceful guy in bunches where somebody else wasn't so peaceful. And now we into something that I had no idea. Now it's bottles flying and tables flying.
Starting point is 00:28:08 And now it's just, how the fuck do you get out of here? Mayhem. So we've all been in a little of that. Uh-huh. That's another one of the sad parts about this for me is that he wasn't gambling. He wasn't. He was just there.
Starting point is 00:28:22 Yeah. Wasn't gambling. Wasn't. That's where I identify. Because I was just telling you, I, my entire life, have stayed away from dice games. No, not me. I've run to them, actually. I've played some dice games.
Starting point is 00:28:39 But I've run to them in a comfortable situation. Like, in the hood, you could just be driving down the street and see some niggas you don't know and they got a dice game going on. I'm not playing that dice game. Some people jump out and get in that dice game. I wouldn't do that. But I've played dice games in some places that were probably not the safest, though. Yo, again, I'm speaking from a 46-year-old brain. Ice will call me like, yo, I'm going to blah, blah, blah.
Starting point is 00:29:04 I'll be like, I'm good. Ask him. I'm good. But I have enough discernment at this age to make that call. You know what I mean? Like, if I was in my 20s, I might have been like,
Starting point is 00:29:18 yeah, I'll meet you there. What time, nigga? I'm just saying, like, and again, I think we just need, but the fact that we can't go do that We should be able To go do that With a level
Starting point is 00:29:30 Of certainty Or a lower level Of probability A probability That you gonna get home Or not getting no shit That's what I mean yo That has to be fixed
Starting point is 00:29:39 It has to be fixed How you fix that? You think I don't think But who goes out Aside from People that may not be all the way there, but who goes out and, oh, I can't even say it. I get it.
Starting point is 00:29:53 Yeah, they do. Yeah. I don't. Of course we don't. We got stuff to live for. We got stuff to care about. And if I know that some of them will be there, some of them be my friends. I'm good, y'all.
Starting point is 00:30:10 See, that's what I be saying. That be an energy thing. Yeah, I'm good. Following energy. Hey, because some of them are my friends, I know where not to go. Exactly. For sure. Like, y'all laughed at it when I said it.
Starting point is 00:30:21 Like, I wasn't joking if I see a flyer or something that says $99 bottles, $100 bottles. I don't want to go there. And that's not even, it's just I know the crowd that, oh, I could get a bottle for cheap. And show off. I could go get two of them. That person ain't going to be in the same spot where if it's a. $450. Exactly.
Starting point is 00:30:44 We shouldn't have to do that but that's just how it is and then you just realize how horrible certain how toxic certain shit is culturally as you repeat it to someone else right because now that we at this internet stage this internet phase and before i even get to the internet phase like shockwaves through the community my mom called me at 7 a.m my dad called at 7 0 3 and said hey your uh your little brother is calling from school saying that they just shot better than like um wait this old shit that hit me. They're talking about this in high school. It's a big deal. It's now the kids know about it from school, and I have to explain it to my parents in a span of 20 fucking minutes.
Starting point is 00:31:39 This is their locks. Yeah. You know what the locks was for us? You know what I'm saying? Or if you go further, what Run DMC was for some of us? Mm-hmm. The Migos is that for them. That's how relevant and important they are to them.
Starting point is 00:31:56 You know what I'm saying? When you 20 years old, like you just said, for the last seven, eight, nine years, these boys have been on the tier. Mm-hmm. 10 years. Damn near. That's their locks. That's their Damn near. That's their blocks. That's their dip set. That's their run DMC.
Starting point is 00:32:10 You know what I'm saying? Like, these niggas is culturally relevant. Damn near iconic. I was about to say, they're damn near iconic. They're beyond relevant. Yeah, it's a lot of people fucked up right now. Yeah, yeah. QC, Atlanta, Cardi, Offset, Quavo, Sweetie.
Starting point is 00:32:33 It don't matter. All that. Anybody who was around ever at any point, you feel a way. I felt a way, and I wasn't even around niggas. Yeah, I don't know them. I never met them a day in my life, and I was like, oh. I'm at a loss for words, honestly. With every rapper that dies, you see, I see myself in every rapper. So with every rapper that dies, a piece of you goes.
Starting point is 00:32:55 I take, you know what I take from it? I take what they could have potentially done. So we're going to use Puff. We could use Jay. We could use the QC. We could use them, right? They got out. We got out.
Starting point is 00:33:12 And the sky's the limit. So they got out in their 20s, right? And every time I've heard them talk, they seem like really intellectual dudes. For sure. They could have been the next senators. That's what I'm talking about. When they take our kids at 20 years old, you take in their potential from them, what they could have been from them and from us.
Starting point is 00:33:32 These guys got kids, yo. You reminded me of what I was saying. You realize how toxic it is when you try to repeat it to somebody. We at this era now where it's social media time. So the Internet and these young kids, they don't even understand some of that shit that y'all talking about. And you got to say, hey, this is what happens at the dice game.
Starting point is 00:33:52 Like, you know how stupid that sounds? Yeah. That was what I was thinking in the shower this morning. Thinking of all the people that we've lost over the years and going through the explanations in my head of why we lost them. For what? For what? For what?
Starting point is 00:34:06 Oh, shit, that was the other thing that hit me in the shower. When Eazy-E died, my OGs was fucked up. I was a little fucked up, but I didn't understand. In fact, I didn't get it. I didn't get it. By the time Pac and Biggie died, that shocked the world, but shocked me and a lot of people because we wasn't used to rappers just dying at the clip, especially two prominent- Back to back.
Starting point is 00:34:36 Yeah. So today it's like these kids are used to- Death. Every three weeks. They have normalized death. So that's why it's so easy for them to pick up an AR and blow your fucking head off because it's normal to them. It has been normalized, whether video games are doing it, television is doing it, music is doing it. They're seeing it every day on the news.
Starting point is 00:35:02 I think it's that. Dog, it's a combination of all of them. But it's normal. Death is normal. I remember when Big passed. I remember when Pac passed. That wasn't normal. None of that was normal. Dog, we was talking about PNB a month ago. That's crazy, dog.
Starting point is 00:35:20 And that's why I'm saying culturally this shit gotta stop. It has to stop. And you can tell it kind of, they've normalized it. Because when something happens, look at how they respond to it. It ain't nobody been running. They just pulling the phones out. Yo, you want a coffee?
Starting point is 00:35:38 Yeah, it's like, yo, you what you want? It's normal. I don't want to be nowhere partying with nobody that's just going to step over my body if I happen to die here. Just business. I don't want to do that.
Starting point is 00:35:53 I don't want to be nowhere and die and people start pulling out their phones and not handling me with care. As morbid as it sounds, that has to go into your thinking somewhat when you leave the house. Yes. Damn, how does that headline look
Starting point is 00:36:13 if I get popped here? I know it just sounds sick. Bro, it don't. You really have to think of this shit when every time, I don't know if it's becoming a parent that changed me personally, but every time I walk out the house, I just be like, because shit just happening everywhere.
Starting point is 00:36:35 You don't have to be involved in an altercation. You don't have to be doing something, provoking something, or it don't have to be none of that no more. Yeah, I don't want no beef. You got it, fam. I don't want no problems. But I don't want to be the place where the problem could happen with some other jokers.
Starting point is 00:36:54 I just don't want to be there. Bullets don't got no name on them. And these jokers can't shoot. And the thing about age. Big old guns that they can't control. Yo, I want the biggest gun in the world, most kickback in the world, bam. And they're probably drunk at the party.
Starting point is 00:37:10 You can't shoot. Bullet over there. Dude right in front of you, you missed him. Listen, man. It's Halloween. Like, I hate to say it. Halloween is probably one of the most dangerous weekends out there.
Starting point is 00:37:31 It always has been. Yeah, like. Alpo just got murdered last Halloween. I never thought I'd ever put no. You might be right. I never put no. We was just talking about Mischief Night, how not? Oh. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:37:48 We was just talking about it. Our whole life. Our whole life. Halloween. Niggas was just dying like that. Weekend. Buh buh buh buh buh buh buh buh. Slow down, Mischief Night turned into Gang Initiation Night.
Starting point is 00:38:00 Well, yeah. And we was there for the graduation of all of that. That's why Mischief Night stopped. The transition. Because niggas started getting popped. Niggas getting killed everywhere. You're right, yeah. And we was there for the graduation of all of that. That's why Mischief Night stopped. The transition. Because niggas started getting popped. Niggas getting killed everywhere. You're right, yeah. So, hey, y'all, get in the house with your eggs.
Starting point is 00:38:12 I took my little eggs. We throwing eggs. They throwing bullets. I took my little dozen eggs. I got out of ShopRite and went home. Ain't got to tell me, but once they shooting, made you look,
Starting point is 00:38:28 made you didn't, made you close the bedroom door. I ain't looking. I ain't, wasn't no part of a dozen of that shit. I don't want to see nothing. And now they done
Starting point is 00:38:36 pushed it back. Halloween is dangerous. New Year's Eve is dangerous. Holiday season is dangerous. Yeah. Hence, why jokers went to Trunk and Treat. To stop some of the potential dangers.
Starting point is 00:38:52 I've seen pictures of y'all Trunk and Treat. Y'all look dumb, yo. I sure do. I'm not gonna lie. I've seen whole big parking lots. And y'all only showing the pictures with the parents that really went all out in their trunk. Like, show me the other ones. Show me the ones if I was there pulled up.
Starting point is 00:39:08 It'd be three Almond Joys. Get fucking snickered. Get some turtle wax over there. Take this fucking Twizzler and get on out of here. In my neighborhood, them white kids was outside, ringing bells, knocking like everything was safe as could be. I was in the house startled every time. Looking at my text, am I expecting something? I forgot what was going on.
Starting point is 00:39:28 You ain't had no candy? No. Screwing jazz, nigga. That's haram, nigga. You what? Let it go. Why? I didn't hear what you said.
Starting point is 00:39:39 I heard him. That is haram. Big haram. I ain't know you was bilingual. Celebrate none of that shit. I ain't know you was bilingual. You from Newark, nigga. Why I'm telling you what haram is?
Starting point is 00:39:51 Yo, just go ahead, man. Go ahead, though. Nah, seriously, yo. Hey, I was in the house all Halloween, all Monday. Word. And anybody call me on the phone, hey, what's up? What's up? What's up?
Starting point is 00:40:02 What's up? What's up? What's up? What's up? What's up? What's up? What's up? Go ahead, though. It's good. Nah, seriously, yo. Hey, I was in the house all Halloween, all Monday. Word. And anybody call me on the phone, hey, what you doing? Staying inside. Dumb niggas is outside with masks and guns. The end.
Starting point is 00:40:17 I stayed inside as well. Yeah, I ain't going to wear. I went out Saturday night, but that's it. I wish we told them to put the mask back. COVID gone. COVID went on vacation. I wish we told them to put the mask back. COVID gone. COVID went on vacation. I ain't going to know. Bro, the masks
Starting point is 00:40:29 are giving people an excuse to be outside with Roscoe in their pocket and think they... It's that added level of courage.
Starting point is 00:40:37 I can't get caught. Yeah, I ain't going to get caught. After the pod on Friday, I took my little hot ass out in the street for whatever day that was. This is a bunch of gang niggas' birthdays.
Starting point is 00:40:51 That'd be the worst. OG Bobby Johnson and all? One, two, or three niggas you might could think of a plan for. When is they birthdays? Oh, shit. Nigga bought the whole projects. I'm getting out of here. Enjoy your birthday. Niggas from seven boroughs.
Starting point is 00:41:07 I'll fucking see this bartender at another time buddy yeah man kept my little bright ass in the house and on Friday night right because I'm a stupid ass I'm thinking I don't know when Halloween is but Saturday morning
Starting point is 00:41:23 I woke up and I'm talking shit on the phone, and I got the news on, and I said, whew, thank God we got through a Halloween, and I don't see no murders on the TV. I said that. And then I said, oh, fuck, it ain't Halloween. They was calling that shit Halloween. That's the other thing about you little white kids. Y'all get a day. They're fucking knocking
Starting point is 00:41:48 on the door for three days in a row. Are y'all crazy? Really? Yeah. They were trick-or-treating. They were trick-or-treating. Are y'all out of y'all's minds?
Starting point is 00:42:00 Halloween was the weekend. Three days in a goddamn row knocking on somebody's door like y'all done lost y'all Yes What in the name of Matthew McConaughey Are these fucking kids doing What the fuck

Little fucking rescue rabbits. Yeah, we heard you the ASPCA. They want to come for you. I'm a fucking rescue rat. We heard you the ASPCA. They want to come

And everybody gets a turn. We all going to get a turn. So, shit. Shit. You want your turn to be a little later on. We're not in control of that.

You could switch lanes, somebody drunk hits you, whatever the case may be, but the probability, you got to kind of try and play the numbers at least to have them be in your favor a little more. So I got you, buddy. Yeah, man. Thank you.

Starting point is 00:47:00 Why? What happened? I mean, tell them. I mean, tell them. I mean, we don't know. Like, the child, from what I was reading, the child drowned and apparently was in the water for about two hours. What? It was a three-year-old in the house.

Starting point is 00:49:10 we get a minute. Then we got to come, no, like, this shit happened this morning and we have to come in right away. Like, I'm still fucked up.
Starting point is 00:49:19 Like, I'm, my bad if I seem a little off. Like, this shit really is fucking with, nah, it's serious. Especially without detail, We don't even know
Starting point is 00:49:27 You know what I mean Like It's hard to It's hard This is rough This is rough I'm telling my joke As kids bro
Starting point is 00:49:35 Word Man my daughter will be three In a couple months Like I Just can't imagine Don't look at me, bitch. You're the hostess with the mostest, nigga. Get us out of here.
Starting point is 00:49:49 I'm not a hostess of anything. You're the owner. Pardon me. Get us out of here, owner. You're such a fucking piece of fucking shit. You know that? Yo, bro. You know that about yourself?
Starting point is 00:50:02 Nah, I was just telling you. You know what I mean? Come on. Tell me about Puffy and 2-Bit. I couldn't tell if that was a purpose. I could. Skit? I could.
Starting point is 00:50:14 There wasn't no skit. One person was for real. There wasn't no acting. Somebody's about to get skitted. It's going to be a couple bits. More than two? 2-Bit look like he was going to make Puff Reese's Pieces with them. No, no.
Starting point is 00:50:26 Bits was about to be in pieces. Be clear. This is a billion. Shout to Puff on his billionaire status. And his Joker outfit. Very convincing Joker outfit. Pieces of bits. Kibbles.
Starting point is 00:50:39 Kibbles and bits. Damn. Puff manufacturing a lot of bits. No. Bunch of bits. Them security dudes with a... what happened what happened tell i still don't know nobody knows how it happened because the telling people what video footage that i saw it was them kind of arguing but i read two but bits face and body language it wasn't a game back to the car now he yeah when niggas start doing this that's that a hook off i just you know i mean like jokers do all of that but don't touch me don't fucking touch me
Starting point is 00:51:13 do all that see what you did don't touch me don't touch me you know how that goes yo so initially i don't know if he knew it was puff he might not have known it was puff possible because after a minute because after a minute Puff was like yo dog I did something to you like we got an issue a problem I don't know about you know who I am Puff asked him like you know who I am like six times dude I was some OG shit but then he went over there like yo dog that hits a little different when you dress that uh perfectly as the Joker yeah you see these selectbs got the actual FX design team to make you look good.
Starting point is 00:51:47 He probably had on a $7,000 purple cashmere coat like the real Joker. No, he had all the... He ain't got that shit from Party City. That one Party City Joker right there.
Starting point is 00:51:56 Nah, nah. No, he had the real... He called DC. Yo, send the same niggas y'all had Heath Ledger, send them to me. Yeah. Make up artists.
Starting point is 00:52:05 I ain't know where I was going. I must have stopped watching Power when he was on. What season he was on? It's like, who I'm talking to? Anytime the explanation of the person in the drama is too long, I got checked out. Who puffed on? Yo, this is such and such that was in the drama is too long I checked out who Puff told you yo this is such and such
Starting point is 00:52:26 that was in this is a season dog if you can't just tell me a name and I know I don't give a fuck what happened he's about to get learned
Starting point is 00:52:35 too big and Puff nigga security niggas was like bro please I don't but Puff said something like don't you ever talk to me
Starting point is 00:52:44 like that again? Yeah. So he must have talked to him a certain type of way. He said he pussy. He was like, yo, this nigga's pussy. This nigga's pussy. He said Puff is pussy. Puff backed up, had the little prop gun that had a little weight to it.
Starting point is 00:52:55 So Puff was laughing at first, and then he flipped the gun over. He had like a little prop gun. But when he was hitting the ground, the gun sounded like it had some metal in it. It had a little clink to it. So then look. You and that Alec Baldwin prop gun. Oh man. You and that prop gun.
Starting point is 00:53:15 Did anybody else see the video? I saw the video. But then he had the Joker voice on at first. That's why I thought it was a skit. Nah, then the Yonkers puff came out. I was like, oh, no, nigga, you want to play? Come over here, nigga.
Starting point is 00:53:32 I'll bust your motherfucking head. I'll bust your motherfucking head. Put that poppin' around. I was like, oh, OK. Come over here, nigga. Yeah, I was like, oh, shit. He about to get too big publishing, too. Royalties.

Starting point is 01:42:44 Got it. All right. Anyway. Selective Googling're still not Googling? No, I'm not Googling. Got it. All right. Anyway. Selective Googling. Selective Googling. Yeah, word. Selective Googling. He's Newark boys, yo.
Starting point is 01:42:52 Newark boys shit, man. Oh, man. What would he do? He'd say, Udokum, I get the job. That would be nice, actually. Baddies in Brooklyn. Come on over here. You think Boston shook your marriage?
Starting point is 01:43:08 They don't mind. Right over there at Dumbo House on a Thursday night. They quiet. They ain't telling. No, no. They're not shut up. Tell them all. Tell what?
Starting point is 01:43:18 Yo, man. And, yo, it ain't even that. I can't believe they told on Tiger. The New York. They told on. They got Tiger ass good. Y'all go ahead and keep signing these sneaker deals and Nike little apparel deals. Ice, go ahead.
Starting point is 01:43:34 Because he was. If he was fucking with. He played on the wrong side, man. They wasn't going to tell. Go ahead. They wasn't going to tell. Ice, we don't know what you talking about I'm not making it racy
Starting point is 01:43:46 and I don't have a dollar so the people the ones he messed with told the white girl had he messed with some other girls
Starting point is 01:43:56 they probably would have not told no they told on me my whole life you ain't have a tiger hat to that you say No, they told on me my whole life. You ain't had what Tiger had. To that you say?
Starting point is 01:44:10 Nothing. Oh. Touche. Nothing at all. Tristan getting ratted on. Because of him. Tiger got ratted on because of him too, though. No, no. No.
Starting point is 01:44:22 Oh, okay. Gotcha. That's different. Tristan Canadian. Yo, you. No. Oh, okay. Gotcha. That's different. Tristan Canadian. Yo, you had this dummy up. Anyway, no. I hope they do get a doker. That'll be a fresh start.
Starting point is 01:44:36 I don't know. I just think... Yo, I don't see how the Nets losing. It's too much talent on that team to be bad. This nigga say shit. Yo, the whole team is playing like trash. Yo, it look like they just out there like, eh, eh. They look like shit to me.
Starting point is 01:44:55 I don't know what you're talking about. I said they look like shit. They playing like shit. They got too many good players to look like shit. Bro, with the three starting pieces that they have, just those three, if you just get two people that want to hit the boards and defend, y'all,
Starting point is 01:45:06 huh? Ben Simmons, Kyrie Irving, and KD. It's the wrong time to do it, but I had a whole 30-minute bit about them kids with the anti-Semite shirts
Starting point is 01:45:18 in the front row in the next game. Those kids in, oh, I see. Little 12 and 13-year-old you know but that was a family it look little family sitting there eating popcorn with the stop Jewish hate I think the t-shirt said yeah oh yeah I'm going to make me a t-shirt.
Starting point is 01:45:48 Start putting some thoughts on t-shirts. They're getting bolder with these t-shirts. They are? Kyrie and the reporter had a little fight. Y'all seen it? I did see that, yeah. A little back and forth over him tweeting the Alex Jones book. Basically what is or what is not promotion is what they're fighting over. He tweeted
Starting point is 01:46:07 the Alex Jones link that had some anti-Semitism shit in there and the reporter was like, why are you promoting this? And he's like, I'm not promoting it. You did retweet it though. That's a form of promotion. It may
Starting point is 01:46:24 not be an endorsement. But That's a form of promotion. It may not be an endorsement. An endorsement, but it is a form of promotion. They sent Calvin Ridley to the Jaguars while he at home. Oh, shit. Damn. They got him out of here. Is retweeting something or tweeting something promotion? Yes.
Starting point is 01:46:41 Thousand percent. I'm trying to think about that. But when they say promotion, they handle it like endorsement. And a promotion is not an endorsement. No. I could retweet something and not be endorsing whatever I am promoting currently. That's where the confusion lies. See, they'll look at it as just the mere fact that you are retweeting it.
Starting point is 01:47:08 You stand by it. You're putting light on it. And if it's something that's frowned upon or hate speech, you shouldn't even do that. Even if you're retweeting it to condemn it. That's the way they treat retweets. I've been called a nigger 900 million times over the weekend. I wanted to disagree, so I looked up promotion.
Starting point is 01:47:33 An activity that supports or provides active encouragement for the furtherance of a cause, venture, or aim. So no. So it's not promotion. A retweet is not promotion. I wanted to look up the definition
Starting point is 01:47:44 because you could retweet somebody getting their ass I wanted to look up the definition before I, because you could retweet somebody getting their ass whooped. That don't mean you're promoting it. You could bring light to a situation. You could retweet police abuse. You know what I'm saying? That don't mean that you're promoting it. But where did you get that definition from? WhiteWords.com?
Starting point is 01:48:03 Where you get that? I need to see where that came from with you, buddy.com? Where you get that? Let me see where that came from with you, buddy. Can I read that again? Yeah, that might come from... Oxford Dictionary. The real Oxford door, Newark, Oxford. Read it again? Your nigga here. Let me go to Merriam-Webster's... Oxford Belly, which I'll
Starting point is 01:48:17 be talking about. A-H-K. Oxford. Oxford. Mad people got a little dictionary. None them black neither miriam webster's actually there's not a black webster nowhere all right yeah emmanuel lewis yo the act of furthering or growth or development of something that's not it's not promotion it's not you're furthering it you're spreading the message you're spreading it yeah that is promotion i think they mean i think they mean furthering as an advancement it just said further
Starting point is 01:48:52 but the first definition said something that's why i wanted you to read it again because i think even the first definition could apply because there was an or in there somewhere let's unpack it i think retweeting something is promoting it i do too unless you say something like yo this shit is trash what he's saying or something like that and even that it's still kind of promoting it no matter how you look at it if i have a platform of let's say i got three million followers on twitter and if it's something that i know i damn should nobody even be seeing this this is terrible no matter what I say with it once I retweet it
Starting point is 01:49:26 to them 3 million followers I'm promoting it to them cause they may have not cause they may exactly it's all it's promotion
Starting point is 01:49:34 Deion Sanders forbids Jackson State players from leaving Houston Hotel following Takeoff's death you goddamn right uh huh fuck y'all
Starting point is 01:49:42 thought y'all was gonna sit y'all asses down I'm not mad Young Dolph Life partner questions why young people You goddamn right. Uh-huh. Fuck, y'all thought y'all was going to... Sit y'all asses down. I'm not mad. Young Dolph Life partner questions why young people in the music industry aren't willing to take a stand against gun violence after a producer swears to stop making music that pushes the wrong agenda to black youths. Then we have Lakeith Stanfield with a statement. I want to read it. He's dope, too.
Starting point is 01:50:04 I like Lakeith. I want to read it. He's dope too. I like Lakeith. I want to read it a little lengthy. Whoa, pause. Or unpause. You never know. All right. Here we go. Lakeith Stanfield says,
Starting point is 01:50:15 the dangerous toxicity associated with this glorified black serial killer and killed music and imagery got people thinking it's cool to hurt those
Starting point is 01:50:24 that look like them and only them. It's okay to embrace the realities of life in the harder areas, but let's not think about, but let's think about not holding up this behavior in our circles. Let's make it cool to embrace life, travel, learn new things. I know that scope of issues we have to contend with is much larger than just this and that we have a lot of work to do in many areas to restore our hearts and minds after centuries of persecution and manipulation but we have to start somewhere at some level we have to see our lives as valuable so that we think before we react and see and see damn i can't say and see another human when we look at a human man. We must stop holding self-destructive shit up and embrace things that build us a whole
Starting point is 01:51:09 so that we can lead the world in the direction of prosperity by example. Getting reckless now and again is part of who we are, but for the most part, turn that stupid shit off. Well said, Lakeith. Yeah. Well said. He kind of hit it because well said Lakeith yeah well said he kinda hit it
Starting point is 01:51:26 because it's not niggas don't view life as our lives you know they don't they
Starting point is 01:51:34 yeah they know let me tell you something they know who to fuck with and who not to fuck with that we don't view each other's lives with any merit or any value
Starting point is 01:51:43 that is true cause you know if you fuck with one of them white people each other's lives with any merit or any value. That is true. Because you know if you fuck with one of them white people you're going to get caught and your ass is going to get the book thrown at you.
Starting point is 01:51:55 Yeah. So we ain't even you know what I'm saying like we ain't even playing that game. Shit is nuts. Um I told you guys
Starting point is 01:52:04 I was going to see that movie uh pray for the devil yeah uh friday night after the pod was really excited about it looked really scary so i did go check it out ordered a burger some fruit punch and fries got a blanket had yourself a nice little night yeah man a nice little nap to that bullshit movie horrible horrible horrible little movie I mean now our boys okay it was okay what I saw but that little devil girl wasn't really wild the trailer looked good but they didn't really get in today yeah they ain't getting their bag like that uh Terrifier to that shit they said everybody's throwing up about. Nah.
Starting point is 01:52:47 No? Bullshit. Oh, please. Please, please, please. Halloween. I almost went to the theater to see it. Halloween is dead. Michael Myers, the final one.
Starting point is 01:52:56 You were going to go see it? I wasn't going to go see it. There's no way on earth. I had such a fun time going to the movies, even though I didn't really enjoy the movie. I just wanted to go back. Oh, okay. Try it again. That'd be a sister. What day on that? the movies even though I didn't really enjoy the movie I just wanted to go back try it again that makes sense
Starting point is 01:53:06 what day on the 20th but I didn't it's the same movie it's been the same movie since 1983 and I heard this one is real bad they said this one's so bad
Starting point is 01:53:14 I might watch it it's on Peacock it's on Peacock if you don't feel like going oh you saw it it's bad real bad I heard the last two
Starting point is 01:53:21 was like epic bad like Michael Myers Father Time not fuck a whim he on like his 20th Halloween Real bad? I heard the last two was like epic bad. Like Michael Myers, Father Time, not. Fuck a whim. Oh, bro. He don't like his 20th Halloween, yo.
Starting point is 01:53:30 30th. Nigga ain't got no arthritis or nothing. Lucky him. Niggas ain't making it to see 20 Halloweens no more. It's just rough out here. What else? What else? What else? What else in news, music, culture, anything that I miss?
Starting point is 01:53:47 No, it was Halloween, so everybody was minding their business. Trade deadline. Trade deadline's here. I haven't seen anything about the Giants. We got Bradley Chubb and Wilson, the running back from the Niners, and I am very fucking excited. Yeah, you good. We let go of Claypool.
Starting point is 01:54:01 Got a draft pick. We as in the Steelers and we as in the Dolphins. Yes? Yes. We. We. Yeah, Clay Poole's a good player, man. But a second round pick, I mean.
Starting point is 01:54:13 Yeah, listen, I'm not mad at it. We got a good little wide receiver core over there anyway, so I'm not mad. For a second round pick? Mm-hmm. He's in rebuild mode anyway. That's true. Thirsty Dolphins out here Trying to find a way
Starting point is 01:54:28 To beat Mahomes And the Bills Gotta do something Gotta do something Might not even be Mahomes First day Looking at somebody else For him
Starting point is 01:54:36 I said and the Bills Yeah yeah yeah I said the Bills too Yeah I love it They turned a draft pick Three draft picks they got From the Niners
Starting point is 01:54:43 Moving up to get Trey Lance Into Tyreek Hill Bradley Chubb, and Jalen Waddell. Can't beat that with Stenner. From a move up? Or a move down? Jalen. Jalen?
Starting point is 01:54:58 I don't know. The Giants shouldn't really be in the market to do anything right now. They're kind of still in a rebuild. The Giants should have did anything they had to do to get Claypool. They're in the first year in a rebuild. The Giants should have did anything they had to do to get a play pool. They're in the first year in a rebuild. The Giants should have gone in a play pool or tried to get them. No, they shouldn't have for a second round pick. I'm never doing that deal.
Starting point is 01:55:14 Yeah, in the first year of a rebuild, you want them picks. Because he wants to build the team the way he wants it in his... I disagree. Because the Giants are not technically in a rebuild. They're in a rebuild. They just happen to have a good record right now. I know. And the Giants are not technically in a rebuild. They're in a rebuild. They just happen to have a good record right now.
Starting point is 01:55:27 I know. And they're playing well. Which means you're going to get a low pick, which means you could get pieces that can make your team better now. Y'all not in a rebuild. The Giants got quality pieces. They're not in a rebuild. They're not.
Starting point is 01:55:38 The receiver core sucks. They could have got Claypool. Who did they lose? What you mean? To be rebuilding. They lost their coach in their front office. Okay. I'm talking about player-wise.
Starting point is 01:55:49 When a team loses its coach in its front office, what usually follows is a rebuild of sorts. It might not be the first year. We're going to see what we got here, see who we like, see who we don't. And they lost mad people. They're fucking... They lost people.
Starting point is 01:56:00 The corner on the Eagles that's killing is ours that we didn't want to pay, Bradbury. There's a few Giants players that they just let go. The corner on the Eagles that's killing is ours that we didn't want to pay, Bradbury. There's a few Giants players that they just let go. I'm going to agree with Parks, and then we can move on. I'll say this is a rebuild because the front office is assessing the talent and was using this year to assess talent. It's first round and early round draft picks all over this fucking roster. So they didn't know who was who and what was what anyway.
Starting point is 01:56:27 So yeah, they 6-2, but to the surprise of the front office, I'm sure. So let's say they end up at... So now they got to add. Y'all could be at 12-4. 11-5 is not out of the blue for y'all. I'm sure every time a Giants game ends, front office goes up there and bangs their head in the wall about a receiver. I'm sure of it.
Starting point is 01:56:46 So we'll see. And it's a real deep draft coming up. I like having draft picks during this draft. There's that. Gotcha. Friend of the show. Part of the show. Part of the show.
Starting point is 01:56:57 From a friend of the show. Indeed. Here we go. Here we go. This says. This says. And who is this? Hard to tell because this is going to be tough because I can't read.
Starting point is 01:57:08 This is David. What's up, Dave? David says WWID. What would Ish do? So this is for you, Ish. Would you be uncomfortable in a situation in order to please your partner? For example, my girl asked me to go to the drag brunches, gay clubs and pride events with her. Neither one of us are into the same sex, but she likes the environment because it's just clean fun. When I told her no and I'll be uncomfortable, she says I shouldn't be because I'm straight and I'm going with her. I'll be uncomfortable. She says I shouldn't be because I'm straight and I'm going with her. She's from New York and I'm from VA.
Starting point is 01:57:47 So she's a little more diverse than me and she's trying to get me out of my comfort zone. Ish, what do you say to David? I think that if you've expressed that you're uncomfortable to your girl, it should stop right there. I don't think somebody should try to coerce or persuade somebody to do something that's outside of their comfort zone. But if the goal is to expand your horizons
Starting point is 01:58:18 and put you in uncomfortable situations. For her. It's not. Okay. That's her goal goal that's not his goal that's like if your girl don't want to have a threesome and you are trying to get her to open up her horizon a little bit different that's different not yes that is very different not forcing but uh encouraging or holding uh your body or your partner's body versus going to a bar? It's not. You are trying to get somebody.
Starting point is 01:58:51 Find a different example than a threesome. A threesome is a... No, let me tell you. That's the one I wanted to use. You are trying to talk somebody into doing something that it don't matter what the idea is. It could be whatever the idea is. I don't feel comfortable doing that.
Starting point is 01:59:12 It's just stop right there. If your partner stands adamant in something that they don't feel comfortable doing, you shouldn't try to coerce them into doing it. I disagree. That's my opinion. Like, go get your girlfriends. I don't want to do that. Sometimes your partner might say, I don't feel comfortable going to a Mexican food spot because I don't really like Mexican food. And then you say, hey, do you ever had Mexican food? And they say, no, I haven't had Mexican food. And so I'm supposed to just not try to coerce them to go try Mexican food. She's not saying go to the gay bar to have sex with men. She's saying, let's just go party at this.
Starting point is 01:59:34 I totally agree with you. I'm agreeing with Parks. I don't even see how Ish comes to that. You want, I mean, if you were the partner. You told me my threesome example was bad. That's a horrible example. You took it to Mexican food Yes because that's just going to a place
Starting point is 01:59:47 That's not forcing someone else to touch your body That's not an act of actually doing something Alright so let's stay here So Alex bring the muffins out here Some women don't like strip clubs This is a great example If your man is trying to force you
Starting point is 02:00:03 To go to a strip club Or coerce I'm going to take force back trying to force you to go to a strip club or coerce i'm gonna take force back yeah coerce you want to go into strip clubs and a female does not feel comfortable doing that it should stop right there in my opinion it's not true this is my opinion it should stop right there i shouldn't keep trying to force my girl or coerce my girl into going to strip clubs if that's not something that she wants to do if you're going to keep using the words force and coerced and your argument will be correct that's not that's not what we're saying that's what he said well he used that word so but i don't but i don't get force from it true i'm not mad if you want to say convince, right? I like convince. Coerce? Or for me, not coerce. I don't like coerce either.
Starting point is 02:00:45 I don't like coerce. For me, if you trust your partner, and this don't even have to be about your romantic partner, if you trust anybody else, then there's nothing wrong with another round of thoughts. Sure. With another round of thinking about this particular thing. Sure.
Starting point is 02:01:03 An example for me, when my grandfather was dying, they was going to pick out the caskets. I think I've told this story before. They was going to pick out the caskets. I didn't want to go. I was very adamant in that. You're not forcing me to go. I'm sad.
Starting point is 02:01:12 I'm mourning. And my mom was like, yo, I know you feel like that now, but I think you should go. Just reconsider it. You might be happy that you did that later on. And I did that not because I wanted to go because that just sounded stupid to me. But I trusted my mom. And you got to leave room to be wrong maybe she's right so i went and it was
Starting point is 02:01:31 the best thing i could ever did we had a blast in there memorized a bunch of memories so it's like the strip club example i like right because often when you meet a girl some girls some women say, not doing the strip club. Yeah, they have a certain idea about the strip club. They put their foot down about it. It takes you to not try to change their mind, but to add perspective. Hey, have you ever experienced the strip club in this way, with these people, in this fashion? And sometimes they say, I never looked at it like that.
Starting point is 02:02:02 I'll try it once. Indeed. He sound like he never got to the we'll try it once part. I think so. And David, let me tell you, I know I make bisexual jokes here. I'm not bisexual. But I will tell you, I understand why people want to hang out in gay bars, gay brunches. Particularly women.
Starting point is 02:02:24 Particularly women. Women, it's a safe place for them. It's safe for them. For the most part. gay brunches particularly women particularly women women like it's a safe place for them for the most part I mean typically obviously there's probably been some
Starting point is 02:02:30 so stay there and they normally want to be with a man yeah that's new I don't know nothing about that
Starting point is 02:02:40 because that's I'll take your word for it I see why women want to be in gay bars i see why women genuinely have the gay friends because there's no ulterior motive you ain't got to worry about him being nice to you because he wants some box i understand all of that but in the same token you can see why um uh and this is not trying to be offensive at all you can see why women like hanging out in gay bars
Starting point is 02:03:05 because you said it's a safe space. Why is it a safe space? Because there's less likely to be a bunch of men hounding them. Sure. Because they're not as interested. So could it be equally, I'm not saying I feel like this, but could a man equally say,
Starting point is 02:03:17 yo, I don't want to go to a gay bar because I don't feel like having men hound me? He could say that, but has he had that experience before? I don't know. I'm saying. Mm-hmm. Yeah. That could say that, but has he had that experience before? I don't know. I'm saying. Mm-hmm. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:03:26 That could be a reasonable assumption based on maybe experiences that he's had. He don't sound like he's any... I don't know. We don't know. I don't want to add nothing to it. So I don't say yes. I can't say he did or he did not experience that.
Starting point is 02:03:41 I'm standing in. Yo, if somebody, your significant other is adamant in something that they are trying to do if you try to get them to do it cool like especially if you think it's going to be for their betterment right um cool you could try like i i my girl there are things that i tried to get my girl to do to better herself. Like, you know, people don't make certain decisions based on fear. Sure. Like financially or going to college or whatever the case may be.
Starting point is 02:04:11 People are apprehensive based on whatever their fears are. That's your goal to try and get the best out of your partner. But I think in this particular instance, they're going to be good if they do or they don't. Hopefully, because if that's enough to swear you're apart, you're not going to remember. Yeah, sure. So I think that let him stand on that. He don't want to go. Yo, it's like, yo, we're going bowling night with the fellas.
Starting point is 02:04:32 Come on. She's like, no, I don't want to be around that. I don't want to be around cigarette smoke. I don't want to be around guys. I'm good. I'm going to stay at home. That's her prerogative, to stay at home. I don't think that it says nothing about him that he don't want to go.
Starting point is 02:04:46 I think it just sounds a little ideal. And a little close-minded. That's what I was getting ready to say. Could be. To where it's like... I know the first time I was... My partner is asking me to go with her. So that carries something. So it's like, I'm here with
Starting point is 02:05:02 you. I don't think it's like... You didn't have to deal with a bunch of... You're getting to the real meat of this. Most straight men are close-minded that carries something. So it's like, I'm here with you. I don't think it's like, you didn't have to deal with a bunch of, you're getting to the real meat of this. Most straight men are closed minded to anything that has to do with bi or gay. True. Spaces or people. I was shook of it. I had a girlfriend that talked me into it when I was probably 21 or something like that.
Starting point is 02:05:21 And I went to a gay bar with her. Had a blast. I didn't have, it'd be a blast. Like I'm there dancing with my girl. I'm not a gay bar where they had a blast. I didn't have... It'd be a blast. Like, I'm there dancing with my girl. I'm not... Dudes aren't coming up to me.
Starting point is 02:05:28 Yeah, they're not smacking you on the ass when you're going there. Like, I don't know the vision that some men have of these places. And I'm sure there are some gay bars that are
Starting point is 02:05:36 a little seedier or sketchier or whatever, but there's plenty of just regular... That's why the strip club comparison is really, really applicable because every... Number one, every strip club is different.
Starting point is 02:05:46 So they have raunchy strip clubs where somebody might be grabbing your girl's elbow in a strip club. They got strip clubs where the chicks is coming up, breathing on your girl, drunk, grabbing her. They have those strip clubs. And then they have strip clubs that are more upscale, more professional, more laid back vibe, all of that stuff. So it's different. I can't speak to the differences in the gay clubs or gay brunches, but I've
Starting point is 02:06:10 heard and we know people where a lot of the gay dudes are mad aggressive. You could be walking through the mall and gay dudes could be trying to holler at you and they'd be mad aggressive. So I don't see how they're not the same. I'm sure it exists.
Starting point is 02:06:27 I'm sure it exists, but I think it's a little bit close-minded, and maybe he should try his personal opinion. True. I agree with that. You might go and have a fucking blast with your girl. It's very easy to go on Yelp or something now and look up what type of vibe it is there. But even how you talk about this and expound on it,
Starting point is 02:06:46 like, it's funny to me. What's mad aggressive from a gay dude? Like, what words can he say that's mad aggressive and him trying to bag me? In your example, you just said,
Starting point is 02:06:52 you're walking through the mall and it could be gay dude's mad aggressive. You walk into the mall, gay dude tries to talk to you, you say you're not interested and he keeps trying to talk to you.
Starting point is 02:07:02 Same thing that women find a turn off in men. You know? It's the same thing that women find a turnoff in men you know it's the same thing that women find a turnoff in men that that just changed it's not equal footing here there's not equal footing here some there's some things that happen that can make a woman feel threatened or intimidated you're moving goalposts i think you are i think you are That's why I'm making it a point to stand in this. No, you're not. Nobody said threatened. Nobody brought up threatened.
Starting point is 02:07:30 Nobody brought up domineering. I said there are times when a man can try to talk to a woman. She tells him she's not interested. And this bugaboo ass dude keeps trying to fuck with her and it's aggravating and annoying. And nobody brought up threatening. Don't change my. Hold up. Nobody changed my stance. I get it up nobody changes my stance keep your stance what happened no no keep your stance when he bugaboo
Starting point is 02:07:53 dude won't leave her alone what usually ask women what happens after that half the time they'll talk to do out of fear because these niggas tend to go from not leaving the loan to some frightening shit. That's scary, yo. A nigga smack the shit out of you. Do anything. That's scary. That's not changing. That's keeping it right there where you at.
Starting point is 02:08:11 No, you didn't. Because I didn't say nothing about nothing domineering. I didn't say nothing about- Damn, it's that next step-ish. It don't just stop right there. Yo, dog. My example is my example. Okay.
Starting point is 02:08:23 Don't change my fucking example to get your meaning out of my example. I said what I said. Fam, I know women, dudes in a club, dude trying to talk to a girl, they follow a girl all night long. Get the fuck away from me. And in that,
Starting point is 02:08:36 I can see how that would be intimidating for her. I don't think that same thing is intimidating. If a dude follows me around all night trying to kick it to me. He's overly aggressive. Yo, dog, I said me around all night trying to kick it to me. He's overly aggressive. Yo, dog, I said no. And you still trying to talk to me. You been trying to talk to me all night.
Starting point is 02:08:49 But I can beat him up. She can't. That's kind of what we get here. You said what? I can beat him up. She can't beat him up. I think is what the underlying feeling is. That's what we were saying.
Starting point is 02:09:00 It poses a certain different potential. There's only so many dudes that can follow me around. If you're hitting on me, I'm going to be scared. No, but I was saying that in that instance, it's the same thing. It's still an uncomfortable feeling that I don't want to be bothered. Sure, so it's still harassment regardless. It's harassment, but there is a different level of threat. There's a different level of threat, for sure.
Starting point is 02:09:21 That dude that's following you in the mall or in the club or whatever, trying to talk to you, you're not in fear of anything if you just tell this nigga to leave you the fuck alone. A lot of women are in fear of telling a nigga to leave them the fuck alone. I'm not disagreeing. Not saying that he did anything. I'm not disagreeing. So in your example, I'm just telling you that it's different. That's not the same thing. No, you made it different, but it's fine.
Starting point is 02:09:41 All right. I just think that homeboy should be able to stand in whatever he feels if he's open to going to the gay club with his girl then rock out if he don't want to go to the gay club with his girl i don't think that he should be persecuted for that i don't think that he should be held to any standard he just don't want to do it well we like that's what i'm saying like yo dog he don't wanna do it it's close minded motherfuckers in the world I thought the
Starting point is 02:10:06 basic premise of this is would you be open to your girl trying to let you try new things that's not what his premise was
Starting point is 02:10:14 I think it was he started with he started with are you open to a certain level of uncomfortability on the strength of your partner
Starting point is 02:10:22 I think the answer to that is yes I think it should be I think most men your partner? I think the answer to that is yes. I think it should be. I think most men is a yes. I think it should be a case-by-case basis. David, and I'm not mad at nothing you're saying or nothing Isha's saying after you go and experience it.
Starting point is 02:10:36 Right. So you can actually have the conversation with your partner and explain. No, I'm not doing it because this. Yeah, what you're uncomfortable with. This is why I don't like it. She's confused because you don uncomfortable there this is why i don't like she's confused because you don't it sounds like you don't have a point of reference and you got all
Starting point is 02:10:49 these ideas about what goes on over here your girl might know a spot that's cool she might have been there already scoped it out she might have been there with her last ex and didn't have those instances take place part of trust is not knowing so you got to trust your partner to lead in some situations, especially when it comes to leisure. Totally agree. Again, I'm just taking a stance on him being, I don't think he should feel guilty for that.
Starting point is 02:11:19 The same way I don't think a woman should feel guilty if she didn't want to go to a certain type of event or space where the dude tried to get her to go i think i think it's the same it'd be whack when you try to get your partner to do some shit and they don't do it though not even that they don't do it they just be completely close-minded to even the thought of doing it like at least if it's some if you gotta if you have a point like you said a point of reference for your no, cool, I get it.
Starting point is 02:11:45 But if you've never experienced it at all, and it's nothing that's going to put you in any type of danger or shit like that, what's the problem? It's your partner. They've done it. They've been there. They can tell you what it's like. Just experience it. If you go there, you get uncomfortable or something, yo, man, I'm going to be honest, I ain't really feeling this. Can we go?
Starting point is 02:12:09 You went. True. i tried it true and then from that point on don't ask me again i went here i'm good see and this is step one of having these talks with your partner the next step is depart you're getting with a partner that says i just want you to go with me yeah but i'm uncomfortable i don't like those but cool but i just want you to go with me. Yeah, but I'm uncomfortable. I don't like those spots. Cool, but I just want you to go with me. Ain't too many lines of defense against that one. That's when it gets sticky. That's when an aunt got to die.
Starting point is 02:12:36 Funeral time. Hey, what day was that? Damn. What are you? Well, cuckoo ca-choo, Mrs. Robinson. Look what we have here. What else? What else? What else?
Starting point is 02:12:51 I don't really think I have any. I'm still sad. Cuckoo, ca-choo, yo. I tried to laugh. Is that what you're saying? Is that what they're saying? That is what they're saying. You might be right.
Starting point is 02:13:00 I never heard that one. Yo, we're going to park. Park's on Joe's house. It's a song lyric. I know that, but I didn't know they say cuckoo, cuckoo, choo. Yeah. Cuckoo, cuckoo, Mrs. Robinson. Jesus loves you more than you can know.
Starting point is 02:13:11 Oh, oh, oh. Oh, oh, oh. I didn't know. Cuckoo, cuckoo, cuckoo, choo. Yeah. I think it's also in a Beatles lyric. I am the walrus. Y'all are cuckoo, cuckoo, cuckoo, cuckoo, cuckoo, cuckoo.
Starting point is 02:13:25 Let's see, let's see, let's see. Sleeper time. I don't have any album news. I'm mourning. I'm sad. I'm going to fuck out of here to go mourn alone. Hug on myself. Love on myself.
Starting point is 02:13:37 Throw the body scrub behind my back. Flush your back. If there was a such thing as Griselda R&B, I think Baby Rose would fit it. It's all so haunting. That's my girl, though. She don't play. So, Baby Rose, go.
Starting point is 02:14:08 I hear her. Oh, it should just be haunting and just, oh my God. Take the drums out. But even now, she laying vocals too to like the pockets, you'll see The devil's a liar that tries to divide us The fuel on the fire, we're down to the wire Only love can revive us When the storms get louder The tide gets higher
Starting point is 02:14:46 For me, be a martyr For you, I'll be a rider Until we expire It goes Don't let me, don't let me, don't let me, don't let me go don't let me, don't let me go Don't let me, don't let me go Don't give a damn Baby, hold me close at whatever you do

Starting point is 02:15:34 Can't just let go, oh The stones and the bones The world's on our shoulders Can't let your heart grow colder With me in your corner And over till it's over And over till it's over Can't let your heart grow colder With me in your corner And over till it's over Hey, you know we gotta fight it cause it's too much to lose
Starting point is 02:15:51 So will you hold me close at whatever you do? Don't let me, don't let me, don't let me, don't let me go Don't let me, don't let me go Hey, I've been with you too long, don't you give up too soon Oh, will you hold me close at whatever you do? Don't let me go Don't let me go Don't let me go Don't let me go Don't let me go Don't let me go Don't let me go
