Starting point is 00:00:00 The thoughts, views, and opinions expressed by this podcast, as well as its hosts, are for entertainment purposes only. I repeat, it is not serious. It is not real. No one is exposing, revealing, indicting, or telling you anything about themselves. Also, we do not encourage you to try this at home. We are trained professionals who do not have your best interests at heart or our own. Enjoy the show. Y'all starting to create bad habits. Let me hear it.
Starting point is 00:00:32 Why y'all keep doing that? Why y'all keep, every time I open the laptop to start the podcast in a positive light, y'all put all this added pressure on my shoulders about something as tiny
Starting point is 00:00:42 and minuscule as intro music. I don't think the intro is tiny and minuscule as intro music. I don't think the intro is tiny and minuscule at all. You don't think I have enough pressures as a black father in this country, huh? You don't think I have enough weight on my shoulders just trying to survive out here? People throwing stones, rocks every day, arrows, sharpening their swords. People going to Walmart, they buying extra bullets. Theyrows sharpening their swords. People going to Walmart. They buying extra bullets. They putting switches on the guns.
Starting point is 00:01:09 They doing any interview that they could possibly interview. You don't think I got it pretty tough out here, huh? Mine ain't tuned, bro. Hold on, let me tune it. Listen to my fucking girlfriend talk about all this shit. I don't fucking care. You don't think I got it tough out here? I don't fucking care.
Starting point is 00:01:23 I don't know what happened at Teddy's school. You don't think I got it tough out here? Huh? Fucking care. I don't know what happened at Teddy's school last day. Starting point is 00:02:08 To all the fucking You know how I feel You know how I feel In the house To run out of something that Like what are you doing with your life? That's what says that your life is unorganized Shit like that
Starting point is 00:02:19 That's heathen shit Yeah, I think so You're supposed to buy like four or five tubes No, that's why it's heathen shit Because I bought four or five. You're supposed to buy like four or five tubes. No, that's why it's heathen shit, because I bought four or five. So to run out off the four and the five and not notice, what were you doing with your life? You know I'm a procrastinator. That don't really happen. You got to go to the travel bag and find that one little tiny baby tube.
Starting point is 00:02:37 Sometimes you got to get that shit that look crusty in the bag. The one you thought you'd never use again. But just in case. Y'all ain't never cut the toothpaste tube open, so don't talk to me, man. I always had $2. I'm just saying. All right, so cut the toothpaste open. All right, my man. My mom did what she had to do
Starting point is 00:02:54 to keep us middle class. Thank you. I had $2. There's a certain level of poverty that I check out on. And I knew how to steal when I was a kid. So I would go steal it. Yeah, I'm not. They were showing they had a little thing going around saying, check this and tally up your points and we'll show you. I'll tell you how poor you was.
Starting point is 00:03:14 And, well, I was checking some of them shits. But some of them sandwiches and meals that these people was creating on their own, I don't know. I skipped all of that. Y'all was like, poor, poor. Yo. Like, the worst I got with the sandwich was fucking, they was talking about sugar sandwiches.
Starting point is 00:03:33 They was syrup. Syrup sandwiches. Syrup sandwiches. Mayonnaise sandwich. You had that before? I did mayonnaise before with a little pepper, salt, pepper on it to toss it up. Actually, mayonnaise sandwich used to be my bag.
Starting point is 00:03:47 We talking about it. I'm like, that's totally fine. You check out too, right? I'm tapped out right there. Nah, this kid. What y'all was doing in Virginia? Nah, this kid that used to live by me,
Starting point is 00:03:57 he used to eat mayonnaise and butter sandwich. And I'm like, what the fuck? What? That's just toast with his butter, isn't it? Yeah, mayonnaise and butter on regular white bread is disgusting, my nigga.
Starting point is 00:04:10 Yeah, the worst it got for me was, mom, what's for dinner today? Your brother will feed you. Oh, hi. Nothing to eat tonight. We're leaving it up to his hand. Shit, we made pizza, nigga. It was bread. It was motherfucking. Bread and sauce? Sauce. A little piece of cheese on it. Starting point is 00:05:00 You know that? You hate us. We thought you was going to give us a fire little clip, intro, something. Melissa, do you know that I hate them? I'm here. My energy came in here on 10. It's just slowly dropping. I think it's a love-hate relationship.
Starting point is 00:05:11 Slowly dropping. It's nuts and nuts, Jesus. You love them. I do, boy. You do love them. I love them a lot, but I hate them. I understand. You hated them, too, when you was on that couch.
Starting point is 00:05:19 You ready to tell them? What the fuck? Oh. Oh, wait. There's some truth there? Shit. You supposed to at least lie your way out of that, you? Oh, shit, there's some juice back here. You supposed to at least lie your way out of the back here.

I brought the big gun with me today so i'm cool yeah i'm ready to play today too come on let's have a good time let me find some inspiration here i got asked to give a speech at bill gates's summit the slot that they had given me was between bill gates and warren buffett
Starting point is 00:06:00 and it was the only speech that anyone was giving. It was a summit of Fortune 100 CEOs. You can imagine who was in the room. And I remember them saying, you know, this is a really hard speaking slot, Rashma, because most people are really intimidated because Bill and Warren are sitting in the front row and it can be a little scary. And I remember as I was sitting there in the backstage, they had given me 10 minutes to speak. I remember thinking, man, I wish they gave me 12 because I really had some more stuff to say. And. I remember thinking, man, I wish they gave me 12 because I really had some more stuff to say. And then I remember thinking, how did I become this woman when I used to be that girl? And I remember thinking, yeah, it's because I've been in every single powerful room.
Starting point is 00:06:34 I've met every single CEO, every president, every prime minister. And when I meet them, I'm like, you? You're running what? Me and my girls, we've been running circles around. And I realized that it's never been about whether we're qualified whether we're prepared whether we're ready that we've really never really dissected all of the undeserved unearned privilege that so many people have and that we have literally bought and been fed basically this propaganda that we're not good enough that we're not smart enough that we don't belong and the real resistance in this moment is saying no more. Starting point is 00:22:40 Simple clearance. The single's hot. The sample clearance. It's always sample clearance. Sample clearance, that's right. Well, yeah, he did drop the single. I like it. I love it. I love it.
Starting point is 00:22:48 Fire. Love it, love it, love it. Fire. Oh, it's crazy. Paints him in a new light. You know what I mean? Dirk, we can see he's trying to make the transition. Hey, yo, young boy, you the homie, but the interview, he should have went that direction
Starting point is 00:23:00 where Dirk is going. Instead of that interview where he's talking kind of creepy like Batman in the background. But I like where Dirk is going. I like it interview where he's talking kind of creepy like Batman in the background. But I like where Dirk is going. I like it a lot. Listen to it like 16 times. Yeah. I ran it back quite a few times. Cole.
Starting point is 00:23:11 All right. I don't need my Dirk cape yet. Okay. No, no, no. Not yet. All right. You can save for now. Cole did go crazy.
Starting point is 00:23:17 He did. I like what Dirk did on the record, too. I like the hook with the kids. I like just a great positive song. They went and got the pop producer. Yeah. Dr. Luke. This might. Well, I like just that it's a great positive song. They went and got the pop producer. Yeah. Dr. Luke. This might, well, I'm not going to say might.
Starting point is 00:23:28 This should work. I think it's going to work. I would be surprised. If it didn't work, now I'm going to the blackboard. If they went out and spent the money on the Dr. Luke beat, they're going to make it work. Transitioning, watching it in real time, is something that always have people's eyes glued to the screen.
Starting point is 00:23:44 You know what I mean? We see him in one way a lot of times. Even though you say he's eyes glued to the screen. You know what I mean? We see him in one way a lot of times, even though you say he's not going to do it, he ends up slipping some op thing in there, but now taking this direction, I think it's great. Shout out to Dirk. And it's great for... The album is called Almost Healed. And for this to be your first single, this kind of tells you, hey, look, I'm working on myself.
Starting point is 00:24:01 I'm trying to get over there. This is where I'm at now. Yeah, salute. A lot of fans were let down because we assumed an album was coming. This is what he told us. Stupid asses. Stupid asses? I say so.
Starting point is 00:24:18 They shouldn't have assumed that? I say so, but I'm just waiting on the right spot to jump in and debate. I know why you say that, but I'm saying from a fan's perspective, if everything he's did led up and said, hey, look, album title, I'll give you this if you give me 100,000 comments, et cetera, et cetera. The first sign of malarkey. That is not about to let Dr. Luke and J. Cole single come out and just be with the album. Way before this,
Starting point is 00:24:45 way before any of this, I was coming in here saying, that don't seem strange, an artist of this magnitude to come off of what he came off and have this quiet of a job. Drop, something's wrong, it don't make sense.
Starting point is 00:24:59 And now it makes sense. You was teasing a fake date, if he teased it, because I'm not going to do the research, but y'all teased a fake date to get niggas off your back. You see a nigga strolling, but you had this J. Cole, Dr. Luke, I know I can't be what I want to be. You got to be met with the mayor.
Starting point is 00:25:17 You doing a, now this feels like Dirk. Like Dirk's last album was hard. There is no reason creatively, it sold. Financially, there's no reason nowhere for him to have a quiet drop. Didn't make sense.
Starting point is 00:25:32 This makes sense. Video out, give me two weeks for this record to stream up. It's cold on it. He tore me apart. I'm admitting that. That guy,
Starting point is 00:25:44 that guy over there is going to keep giving me marketing from all of admitting that. That guy over there is going to keep giving me marketing from all of them people. Yes, that's a fact. This, this... Very, very good move. All I got to do now
Starting point is 00:25:51 is DM Tekashi. I got to just put a few other little things in place and he seems lined up to hit his 80,000. He seems lined up... One more mark.
Starting point is 00:26:03 He seems lined up to be the... From that stat you read, the first rap number one. Probably so. That's what this looks like. Well, nobody else dropped. I'm just saying. I went in there at 1230 on my iTunes store. And y'all know sometimes they should show me shit.
Starting point is 00:26:18 Sometimes they don't. So I screen recorded just to make sure. And I didn't see no heat. Quiet. A lot of alternative quiet rock it's a quiet quiet quiet it's been a quiet year extremely it's about to heat up I hope so fuck it's about to heat up listen either it's about to heat up or we're in for a much more serious conversation around the fall as to why it slowed down the way it has. But wasn't, back in the days, Joe,
Starting point is 00:26:45 wasn't around this time they dropped records to... For the summer. For the summer? Usually by March, you start to get it, yeah. No, no, that record should have been out already.
Starting point is 00:26:53 If I wanted it to heat up in the summer, it should have been out in February, March. You got to think about it. March is usually when you first got the bigger releases.
Starting point is 00:27:04 March is the first one. When it's the big, big artists, they'll drop their shit right after the Grammys. There'll be a single that will come right after the Grammys. We've had that happen quite a few, or debuted at the Grammys. Or my album is in your phone after the Grams. Something. But now, that's your mark, though. Now this record gets to live, and we dropping an album late spring or going right into summer.
Starting point is 00:27:22 Got it. Okay. Now, with everything being so short you know i could announce it today and drop it tomorrow type shit so you don't really get that no more but that don't still don't work you still need to roll shit you just we just saw it with jack like you can't just drop cold and expect it to do what it's supposed to do unless you're beyonce drake super duper duper. No, they can do that. But like medium, not quite all the way Super Duper Star? Not to stay on that, but I think with Jack,
Starting point is 00:27:49 because this album wasn't what he normally does, this was like a mixtape. He treated it like a mixtape. Yeah, this was like a mixtape. There's no single on here. I make these songs with catchy this. There's none of that on this album. So this is a rap project.
Starting point is 00:28:03 See, but I want to know how that counts contractually toward his project. I mean, toward his contract. Yeah, it'd be a shame. I want to know if that counts as half an album. What? What is it? It should count, yeah. It's got to count as something.
Starting point is 00:28:17 It's got to count as something. And I know everybody loves the Dirk and Cole record with the kids. Here comes some hate. I ain't get my hate out yet. I'm after them. Don't try to set me up to hate. I can sense it coming though. Pause.
Starting point is 00:28:34 Lightweight. Little microwave. Little microwave. And just an observation. Dirk gotta he gotta he gotta get more comfortable rapping positive right
Starting point is 00:28:45 nigga don't even know how to do it what to say he ain't know how to play with the kids Cole had to come hey hey kids
Starting point is 00:28:56 listen to me that's hilarious that nigga was only Cole with the coloring books and the lunch boxes that nigga Dirk was confused for coloring books And the lunch boxes That nigga Dirk Was confused for a second And the verse came on
Starting point is 00:29:09 After the kids stopped He started getting in his I wanna change But I can't I was like oh shit Let me leave this alone Nah I fuck with that I fuck with the imagery
Starting point is 00:29:20 I fuck with all of it I fuck what I do I love everything about this single Yeah My only thing is It's weird for me As a huge Dirk fan seeing him do a lot of this rollout stuff like I remember when Dirk tweeted maybe a month or two months ago or something about hey I can make you push your album back how on paper it looks like somebody made you push your album back whether it's true or not i know you think this was never the date never but i'm going off what you gave us told album dropping dude said
Starting point is 00:29:51 oh yeah i'm dropping the same day too now you push back two weeks well what if that was a strategy strategy what if he was aware of when i ain't saying it don't matter you got number one what if he was aware when young boy was dropping it what if that was all a strategy because some people are strategic like that okay two things one i don't i think young boy really decided i'm going to drop he does that like because when you have this much music and that type of relationship nobody's making you don't think nobody make the decision that he doesn't i mean i think he can make a phone call to them and say i want to drop this date okay and they're going to be with it because they know he's going to do his numbers with that family. So you think his is on the fly?
Starting point is 00:30:28 I definitely think he's on the fly. A lot. Now the one part where I think this could backfire, I think he'll drop again. It's not, I don't put it past young boy just, oh, okay, that's the date.
Starting point is 00:30:41 We'll see you then too. You got to think this is early May this is just either third or fourth project this year that he's dropped when you sitting at home with a studio in a crib or house arrest for two and a half three years all you doing is making music it's nothing for me to go grab another ten records fifteen records cool I bet let me go grab another 10 records, 15 records. Cool, all right, bet. Let me go grab these, package it up, here come another album. I wanna go head up with you, you can't run from me.
Starting point is 00:31:10 And I saw Dirk's caption when he put the, ah, the single dropped, he said, aha, almost like I tricked you. I don't know if this is the right person you could pull that trick off on. Shit. If this single works like it probably should work, and maybe if there's another single behind it
Starting point is 00:31:25 before the album drops in the two weeks? Another single in two weeks? Maybe. Dog, Dirk looked like he's in alignment with the machine. He's geared up. He looks geared up. That whole look is geared up. Young boy appears to be moving on his own.
Starting point is 00:31:39 Yeah. That's what it looks like. I don't know. You can say that based off the video, based off how... Well, I guess. You can see when... That's what it's saying. I don't know you can you can say that based off the video based off how to you know You can see when that's what it seems the machine like I say that I saw the video I said, okay Yeah, somebody come to this crib in I'll tell you one thing though. How much how much how much how much positive dirt? I need on this album
Starting point is 00:31:59 What to who we asking the room that that's enough for me asking the room that that's enough for me two niggas a hypocrite stop it's true it's so phony it's true no no no it's all hypocrites it's true it's fucked up so drake can do a whole melodic but but but but dirt can't do a no no i like i like when drake got on that b-side and started hopping on these niggas asses too yeah. Yeah, but then he do a whole album. Did you like a whole album with him straight? Yes. Which one of the albums was that? I like Malarkey and Hip Hop.
Starting point is 00:32:31 Got it. I also think that you guys are your own brands and businesses and should be able to separate real life from your business. The album's called Almost Healed, right? That means all the way here. I hear you're gonna be
Starting point is 00:32:46 a little bit of bullshit in there. Yeah. I need some bullshit on that. Still a little scab under the bandaid? A little bit. I need some bullshit on that one. Because I'm not putting it on
Starting point is 00:32:54 to go commit a crime, but I mean, I would like my adrenaline to get flowing a little bit. I notice that's the main difference with me and some of the younger niggas that's outside now
Starting point is 00:33:04 is what we listen to to start our day. But who has put out a positive song like that and then went back to doing crazy shit? Isn't it like back to back positivity or be a positive and then some type of R&B shit? Like if we think of people that have done it. I don't think it's like you can't go positive, then go back into crazy know what you told me yeah you good yeah and sometimes if you try to go positive and it don't work for you because everybody that's been fans of you've been look listening to this effect you end up saying all right let me go back to what works not instantly though listen shout out to dirt I can't
Starting point is 00:33:44 work anybody you know I'm gonna say work anybody hit a young boy I was gonna say I listen to the young boy album and this shit ain't bad is I know it's not a lot of people's critique about him is like his voice his voice heavy auto-tune with the yelling on a lot of tracks makes for a hard listen if you're not like a young boy fan, this project ain't bad. I was kind of shocked. I thought it was going to be a bunch of throwaways that he just pieced together, but I know that the tracks that I've seen everybody talking about
Starting point is 00:34:12 because he got a Fuck the Industry Part II where he's dissing Drake and Yachty, basically anybody who's been cool with- He ain't diss Drake. He ain't that crazy. Well, he didn't diss him. No, the fuck he did not. He made his line Drake. He ain't that crazy. Well, he just,
Starting point is 00:34:26 he just, he just, he just, he just, he just, he just, he just, he just, he just,
Starting point is 00:34:26 he just, he just, he just, he just, he just, he just, he just, he just,
Starting point is 00:34:27 he just, he just, he just, he just, he just, he just, he just, he just,
Starting point is 00:34:27 he just, he just, he just, he just, he just, he just, he just, he just,
Starting point is 00:34:27 he just, he just, he just, he just, he just, he just, he just, he just,
Starting point is 00:34:28 he just, he just, he just, he just, he just, he just, he just, he just,
Starting point is 00:34:28 he just, he just, he just, he just, he just, he just, he just, he just,
Starting point is 00:34:28 he just, he just, he just, he just, he just, he just, he just, he just,
Starting point is 00:34:28 he just, he just, he just, he just, he just, he just, he just, he just,
Starting point is 00:34:34 he just, he just, he just, he just, he just, he just, he just, he just,
Starting point is 00:34:34 he just, he just, But they're not the records for me on there. Like, there's a... I don't really be caring for the super aggressive. Like, when Youngboy gets into his pain bag, that's where his music stands out for me. Okay. Why he don't have a strip club, Bob? I'm about to sound stupid for a minute. But I don't care.
Starting point is 00:35:02 All the poppin' niggas, the Youngboys, like the niggas I know of, Kodak, you got a bunch of them. He get on his pain shit, but boy they do old Kodak set in the strip club, it get lit. All of the young niggas have that. Because look where Kodak from though. But all of the young boys. Dirk, all of
Starting point is 00:35:20 the young ones have that. It seems like young boys don't even try to target none of that outside and i don't know so if i'm wrong please in the comments let me know those records to look for i don't know but i i never hear them i'm very outside i don't know any any records that'll go up and it sounds like i'm hating on album release day so let me shut up uh y'all go check out nba young boys album as well. Richest Op, name of the project.
Starting point is 00:35:46 Like I said, the album is hard. I'm not mad at it. So the positivity shit is out the window for Youngboy. Safe to say. And this is the album he was working on
Starting point is 00:35:54 when he said, I'm being positive. Nah, nah. It was the last one. Don't Try This At Home. No. Yes. He said he put three albums out.
Starting point is 00:36:02 It was Don't Try This At Home. Also all of these. It's not been a positive one yet. The one with the 33 songs on it. I ain't put three albums out. Yeah. Don't try this at home. Also, all of these. It's not been a positive one yet. One of the 33 songs on it. I ain't got time for this. Listen, speaking of negativity, a few days ago, Ice hit me on the text. He said, yo. What you waiting on?
Starting point is 00:36:20 Anita B. Ice hit me up on the text. What you waiting on? Anita Baker. Ice hit me up on the text. What you waiting on? Ice hit me and said that Anita Baker's at the Prudential performing. Oh, you was in there then? No, just how could that creep up on us and we not know it being huge Anita Baker fans, right? So he said that. I gave him a darn fuck and that was Dan oh
Starting point is 00:36:47 you even try to go but no no no it was happening what's happening oh I drove there was all this traffic oh shit and I saw the dude outside with Anita Baker t-shirt I was like oh and that was the end of that conversation for me but it But it wasn't. Later on, Babyface himself goes on Instagram and posts, huge apology to anyone who came out tonight to see me. Do you have it? Are you looking for it? Yeah, and I've got it. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:37:16 Read it, please. Okay. In that beautiful, sultry voice. Yo, who was that lady that was talking on the intro? Oh, yeah. I wanted to was that lady that was talking on the intro? Oh yeah, I wanted to know that. Sheesh. That was a voice
Starting point is 00:37:29 She was talking, right? Yeah, she got some bank, some check. That's Ishbag. That's Ishbag. Okay, so Babyface said, I am truly sorry to my fans
Starting point is 00:37:38 who have been waiting for us to hit the stage this evening at the Prudential Center. I was asked not to perform in order to give Miss Baker her space and time to perform her show in its entirety. My band and I are extremely saddened that we didn't get to perform for y'all tonight.
Starting point is 00:37:53 And then a bunch of people ended up in the comments. That's odd. For the people that don't understand. Was he billed? Slow down. That's something you say to, like, Makonnen. Ayo, dawg, stay stay home we got this yeah that's something you say to smiles and south star no disrespect oh my god you don't tell baby face no matter how late you running, yo, dog. We good on you.
Starting point is 00:38:25 We got this. We don't need those slots. Send your whole band and every backup singers home to Babyface. The man responsible for a police. For everything. Got to be 15, 30% of R&B. They were hot, yo. No, I was hot a little bit,
Starting point is 00:38:45 but I wanted to investigate, right? Okay. So then come to find out, Babyface was later added to this date. He was never originally on this date. Okay. Which says to me, oh, we had a hard time selling tickets.
Starting point is 00:38:59 And I say this respectfully, of course, because me and my entire family, huge Anita Baker, please, please, don't misconstrue what I'm saying. All right, so you may have had a hard time selling tickets, Prudential. It's big. Yeah. I thought it was going to the pack.
Starting point is 00:39:11 So you add Babyface, and I imagine you see a boost. But if you do that, you cannot pull him off no matter what. Forget about his iconic status. You can't do that to the people that you cannot i don't care what happened backstage pay the overages pay the overage overage fees they're expensive but pay them but you're trying to pocket coin you're not gonna do that so clearly that was wild if you piss off baby face you piss off 91 of every songstress that has ever graced the mic they got in the comments and tore nita baker ass up respectfully yeah the artists yes deborah cox um tony braxton
Starting point is 00:39:55 stephanie mills stephanie mills karen well you name it yeah they didn't the goats yeah they didn't lay blame at her feet but they were you deserve better kind of comments this is they all yeah they all was talking like and again this is speculative hey we know about that bitch bonnie c that was they were talking about that for years yeah so now Niggas was on it. Gotta play devil's advocate. Sorry. We have to be a responsible podcast. So for you guys,
Starting point is 00:40:33 I sat home and tried to put myself in Anita Baker's shoes. Did any of you guys try to do that? I did not. I didn't do that. I didn't do that this weekend. Well, she tweeted. She tweeted? What did she say?
Starting point is 00:40:42 She tweeted out, 65 years old, happy, trending. Played our 120th sold-out concert through tech issues to our amazing fans. God is good. Hashtag Anita Baker. And it's a picture of her smiling. She pulled the oldest. Sass.
Starting point is 00:41:00 She got the oldest flim flam in the world. So she applied with some sass. The original flim flam. When I put myself in applied with some sass. The original flim flammer. When I put myself in Anita Baker's shoes, it took me back to what? 87 and 89. It's fairy tales and all of that. Whatever years those was, Babyface was on fire. Babyface was handing records to Paula Abdul, who fucking, you name it.
Starting point is 00:41:28 Darren White, anybody who needed a hit, anybody got one from Babyface. Eric Clapton and shit. Eric Clapton. Except. Tony Braxton, John B, get your little white ass over here. He was bugging. Except Anita Baker. I mean, you know we older, but for years they've been saying she was hard to work with. When Luther Vandross was Luther Vandross. I understand. They had a tour, and she told that nigga, y'all sold just as many albums as you.
Starting point is 00:42:01 You're not the headliner. They had to do alternate dates where he was the headliner, she was the headliner. So they had to do alternate dates where he was the headliner, she was the headliner. It's Luther, nigga. In the 80s. Luther, Luther. Then we just in the 80s. Didn't we just have a Luther, a different Luther?
Starting point is 00:42:17 We just had this talk. L-U-F-F-A. That's the Luther. He's talking about L-U-F-F. We just had this talk when Chaka Khan said whatever she said about the Mary redo. And while the internet was tearing Chaka up, because she didn't have to say that, you know that some of the legends from back then, they just talk spicy. They do. They are very spicy.
Starting point is 00:42:38 I could see Anita Baker, if there's somebody that can do it. I don't think she can. I don't think she should, anyway. The reasoning behind her doing it, I think, was a bad thing. Like, I ain't even know it was an Anita Baker concert going on either in Newark, which is crazy. Which means somebody didn't market something the right way. But, yo, she was mad late. And so because she was mad late, she canceled his set So that she can get her own
Starting point is 00:43:05 Full set out They was like yo I'm sitting here I'm mad as hell Anita Baker acting like Lauryn Hill They was going crazy On Instagram and all of that Can you play Rapture I mean they were hot
Starting point is 00:43:19 They came out for this one Can you let me produce my I'm sorry He started playing Anita Baker They came out for this one. And then, can you let me produce my... I'm sorry. He started playing Anita Baker. Anita Baker, stop. They think you take requests? I'm going to chill because I fuck with you.
Starting point is 00:43:32 DJ, DJ. DJ's don't take requests. Man, no, you played the right one. Yeah, I played Melissa since you Canadian. I played No One in This World because that includes you, babyface. Oh, shit. Oh, shit. Oh, shit. My bad.
Starting point is 00:43:47 When I say that I want to perform my show. I forgot who I was sitting next to for a second. Boy, did you have a producer-friendly reason for playing the rapture? Uh-oh. Eagle! I can see her wanting to get to her slaps, though. I can see her. She got some slaps.
Starting point is 00:44:14 What? A whole new one. She got some slaps. Hey. Let me help my girl loves me like you do. Let me help my girl out. I got you. Are you happy now with your life?
Starting point is 00:44:34 Y'all talk while I try to. Was Babyface going to be the opener? Hey, dog. Because that's crazy. That's what I didn't understand. Like, yo, if you know you running late, because I think she came like over an hour late, You should have just let face go do what he did Yeah
Starting point is 00:44:54 She probably got a lot of earthquakes to like I Wanted to be about me Crowley Cannot cannot cannot hit the stage before I need a baby. I'm not I'm not saying that look this No, I'm kidding. No. I'm joking. Cannot. Cannot hit the stage before Anita Baker. I'm not saying that. This is what I'm saying. Based on any malfunction that is going on, instead of having your fans sit there for an hour and a half.
Starting point is 00:45:15 I get it. Yeah. Yo. You want to work it out. Joe, let me ask you this. You just talked about the fans. So instead of him having him come on at all, he didn't come on at all. You would rather him go no at all or first?
Starting point is 00:45:32 Remember what happened when two people came? No, I'm telling you that I don't think that was ever an option. You don't think he would have done it at all? I don't think so. Even if he would, she wouldn't want that. If I'm going by how Babyface was talking to Teddy Riley in his face. I remember. Who was the governor?
Starting point is 00:45:48 I remember. Then no. Like, hey, little man. And if you did that to Teddy Riley, then nigga, you do it to Anita Baker. I disagree. Huh? I think to Babyface, he hope Anita Baker. Yeah, I don't think.
Starting point is 00:46:03 How do you think the conversation even went adding him? She saved your ass. She saved his ass. Go ahead. But just from what you're saying, how do you think that the conversation even went adding him to the bill? Like, what was the expectation given to him? Like, in terms of like his set and stuff like that. What do you think?
Starting point is 00:46:21 Supreme. For Anita Baker's concert, we are going to roll up the red carpet. It's Babyface, yo. Yo, come save my shit. You didn't call Brownstone. No, and I get that. You didn't call Jade or 702. You called Babyface, who was probably on FaceTime
Starting point is 00:46:38 with L.A. Reid when he was like, how do you think it goes? We are in agreement on that. I'm not taking nothing away from him. What I'm saying is for your fans and for you not to get the negative feedback that she got, I would have tried to make an adjustment to have him go on. I'm saying that for the fans is a lie and a myth 80% of the time. I believe that. Absolutely.
Starting point is 00:46:59 I believe that. True. True. Especially when it comes to these touring venues and dates and performances, it's ego time. True. I'm out here to get my ego fed. Mm-hmm. I'm out here to feel that roar from the crowd
Starting point is 00:47:11 when they sing my shit word for word. I don't need nobody in front of me with all the slaps. Don't come after me with all, get out, nigga. Hey, yo, get out. So what'd you think? She would bring him out mid-set, let him do a little bit, and then she'd come back and finish up?
Starting point is 00:47:26 No, because they have different bands, and that was kind of like... You gotta remember, right, with these R&B people with these egos, last time an R&B nigga shared the stage with somebody, we saw what happened. He saw something in the garden and shit like that, and he made up stories.
Starting point is 00:47:40 In the third. Yeah, he ran out. Upper Decks. What are you talking about? Jay-Z and R. Kelly. He don't shower my name. That was not the last time
Starting point is 00:47:47 that you saw him. No, I'm just saying, but somebody, go ahead. Can you explain to him? Sorry. Yeah,
Starting point is 00:47:52 you write those things. I'm saying that people, the R&B stars, these R&B with earthquakes have egos. Nita Baker's probably one of them. I would agree.
Starting point is 00:48:01 And a situation that I was saying, I was comparing it to, was when Jay and R. Kelly was on tour. We saw what happened when Jay did better than R. Kelly. The antics that he started to do. That's what I was saying. So Anita Baker, I'm saying that
Starting point is 00:48:15 if Babyface would have went before her, he would have tore that shit down. He would have had everybody satisfied. Niggas would probably say, all right, we done. We don't want to hear that shit Anita talking about. She probably didn't want to do it. She pulled the oldest flim flam in the book.
Starting point is 00:48:26 You run that risk if you have somebody like Babyface go out. You do. I disagree. You run the risk of having your entire audience leave. You come in an hour and a half late, you run the risk of motherfuckers leaving anyway. Not necessarily. I'm not putting the tardy tag because I don't really know why. I don't know why.
Starting point is 00:48:38 I don't know why. But she said, actually, she said, and we still don't know if she said, but technical issues. Could be. Could be. Could be. Car ran out of gas. I'm going to need the Prudential Center to tweet something and let us know what the question is. You know, please. All you got to do is blame the ladies.
Starting point is 00:48:55 And again, it's only one date. And it's only one date. Prudential Center, we got all of their purse. They got their entire purse. They're perfectly fine. That's what I'm saying, too. Even if Babyface went first and ripped it down, it was only one date. Y'all go back to the regularly scheduled.
Starting point is 00:49:09 One of your biggest dates, if not your biggest date. Still going back to the regularly scheduled program. The rest of the tour. Yeah. What happens from here, though? Now you get a negative stamp based on the rest of the tour. Nothing. Nothing happens.
Starting point is 00:49:20 She's not going to lose ticket sales. What happens from here? Are people going to rally against her? That's not necessarily true If you had to go get Babyface to help you Sell tickets Now you just shot that
Starting point is 00:49:30 Burned that bridge Is she still on the rest Of the dates That's a possibility fam We don't know all of the Logistics Yeah logistics With regards to her tour
Starting point is 00:49:38 Her shows But let's just say Hypothetically you went And got Babyface And he's on the next Three or four dates That might have Burnt that bridge.
Starting point is 00:49:46 Maybe. Does anyone know if he was added to more dates or was it just this one? Because if it was just this one, Anita Baker is a legacy act. You don't give a shit about anything. If you want to see Anita Baker, you're going to see fucking Anita Baker.
Starting point is 00:50:00 That's just the bottom line. True. That's why you let babyface go on first. If you really believe it. You let, like that's not her choice. Who choice is it then? Babyface. He ain't doing that. It's his choice.
Starting point is 00:50:13 It's Babyface's choice. She can present without opening. I'm not opening. Sorry. No. No, that's true. I didn't even have to do this. You called me.
Starting point is 00:50:21 No, I'm not going on. I'm not opening. Now. going on I'm not opening now star of the week star of the week star my week Let me know I'm your number one select I like lipstick on my neck Hands around my waist New Janelle Monáe, new Janelle Monáe Your lips on mine This record is called Lipstick Lover I just wanna feel I feel very misogynistic right now
Starting point is 00:50:57 I do too Whatever Cause I ain't, oh Whoa Oh my god Give me the familiar melody, please. Thank you. You know what?
Starting point is 00:51:32 All right. Sabah. She got one. She got one. Did you see the video? I want to start off by saying, is there a better marketing tool ever in the history of humanity better than some titties? Better?
Starting point is 00:51:50 No. No. Titties are the best marketing that's ever existed. I thought I was watching BET uncut on steroids. I said, what? I thought it was tip, drill, part seven. That's what in the world? Only she can do it.
Starting point is 00:52:06 Let's let Melissa lead us out with elegance. Before we turn into brutes and monsters. I'm going to be a brute along with you. I mean, Jesus Christ, her titties, they're gorgeous. Like her body, it's gorgeous. I mean, she's just such a beautiful girl. Take that fucking suit off. Oh, my God.
Starting point is 00:52:27 Like, I didn't even know who it was. I just saw the image, and I didn't think it was her, but I was just like, mm. Janelle Monae, let me tell you, you never really, well, let me speak for myself. You never really tricked me. Me neither. I seen something up under there.
Starting point is 00:52:44 That's why I was frustrating watching you all these years cause it's like oh I'm about to sound like a pig that sounds crazy are you going down this direction with the Maggie tuxedo on it's like when Erykah Badu did it at some point
Starting point is 00:52:58 at some point someone on your team will urge you to try to appeal to a man. I know that that's not your thing. And I know about the symbolism of the suit. I know about it. I know about it. But you're an artist.
Starting point is 00:53:21 And she's been making fire music, by the way. Yes. Yes. There should always be fire. Unfortunately, music is only a small part of music. Yeah. That part. This! You walking out
Starting point is 00:53:33 that water made the whole other part come out. They're going to dig up her whole catalog. I see what you did there. She made a few parts come out, right? Them shits was sitting. I zoomed in. She looks great. She looks great. She looks great. And it looks like she had a blast making that video.
Starting point is 00:53:48 She's out there with some friends. But let's get back to the solo shot. Enough of those group pics. Hey, when the one baddie is out with her. So are we letting him go down this lane, yes? He telling the truth? What? I'm saying that Janelle Monáe is beautiful.
Starting point is 00:54:06 I'm saying that all men appreciate the move, love the video, and I love the cohesiveness between the song, the video, and whatever marketing plan they came up with to promote. I agree. I'm saying that it worked. Mm-hmm. It did. I'm saying it worked. Did a good job.
Starting point is 00:54:21 She was trending. I bought it immediately. Like, it worked. I bought it because I Did a good job. She was trending. I bought it immediately. Like, it worked. I bought it because I'm a perv. Now, don't come back and put that fucking suit on. Don't come back
Starting point is 00:54:31 dressed like Stephen A. Smith. It's too late now. Too late. No, no, she can get back to it. I'm just saying, not the very next video. Not this album. Please, leave that shit alone.
Starting point is 00:54:40 Throw it in the garbage. I look forward to... She got the album dropping June 9th. I love the timing. Called The Age of Pleasure. Oh, she wild. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:54:49 She got a thing for niggas with money. Uh-oh. She wilding. She is wilding out there now. She started off giving you the bisexual vibe. I wish that she was in some mess so I knew some of the business. Like, did she go through a breakup? Why she just... Was this strictly a business decision? What happened? that she was in some mess so I knew some of the business. Like, did she go through a breakup?
Starting point is 00:55:05 Why she just, was this strictly a business decision? What happened? She got tired of making fire and not enough people paid attention to it. As an artist, that has to get sick. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:55:13 That's true. She been making fires for a decade. And you been fucking looking in the bathroom mirror looking like that every time you shower. It's like, all right, enough of these hoes.
Starting point is 00:55:24 Man, she on bad boy. Puff said, let me show you what you do. Oh, my Lord. Shout out to Janelle Monae, man. Shout out to Janelle. You said she's on bad boy? Yeah. She's where?
Starting point is 00:55:33 Bad boy. Where's bad boy? Indie? That complexion, boy. So she's on bad boy while puff is on love alright shout out to Janelle Monae
Starting point is 00:55:54 also speaking of puff y'all got me in trouble or whoever edits those damn Joe Budden podcast clips got me in trouble I was talking about smoking on the JD pack in the presence
Starting point is 00:56:08 of my friends and to my New York audience. That's who I was trying to appeal to. Once y'all put it on Instagram, people from Atlanta see it, i.e. Jermaine Dupri, clips it right up, puts it on his page, and says,
Starting point is 00:56:24 oh, Atlanta Atlanta this is how they feel please note that this is how Joe Budden feels about us dog I shit my pants I shit right in my pants. They send you blocks now instead of... They shit right in my pants. No, all them niggas is up now. So they were talking respectfully. Like, you're going to learn. You're going to learn.
Starting point is 00:56:56 You better not invest fast. But just so we're clear, I did have Jermaine Dupri winning the R&B versus. I said that. You did. so we're clear, I did have Jermaine Dupri winning the R&B versus. Mm-hmm. I said that. You did. I have Jermaine Dupri winning the R&B,
Starting point is 00:57:11 even though they haven't announced two verses. This nigga's crazy. Which is the only reason I didn't leave the comment under there. They haven't announced two verses,
Starting point is 00:57:17 so it might not be. I might be speaking out my ass. But if there's two, I have Jermaine Dupri winning the R&B one in a tight fight, and I have him getting blown out of the gym in the rap one.
Starting point is 00:57:27 I agree. And that's respectfully, because... I don't know if I agree with that. I want to be clear. I have all the respect in the world for those guys down there. You don't agree with what? He going to get smoked in the rap shit, but the R&B shit is gonna be a long field
Starting point is 00:57:45 like that's a 12 round fight Puff's gonna lose we'll see it's my life and share my world and forever my lady versus Mariah
Starting point is 00:58:00 and Confessions but Puff got the little summer rains and the little you know what I mean he got some little he got. But Puff got the little summer rains and the little, you know what I mean? He got some little, he got the cupids. He got the,
Starting point is 00:58:09 it's 20 rounds. I'm not disagreeing. JD is JD. Michael Jackson, be proud of him. Michael Jackson, be proud of Joe. Moonwalking like a motherfucker.
Starting point is 00:58:19 Like, what are you doing? What? They shook you up? What are you doing? Atlanta, they shook you up? I'll turn up right now. They shook you up. Let this one go. I said this very you up? I'll turn up right now. They shook you up. Let this one go.
Starting point is 00:58:25 I said the very same thing the last podcast. I'm just saying the way you said it differently. You said it a little different the last podcast. You said it differently, and now you're moonwalking. We heard you. As your man. We heard you. Hold on, wait, stop.
Starting point is 00:58:34 As your man, let me know, flip, fall back. I'm going to fall back and let this slide. I don't feel like falling back, but I'm going to do it because you've been holding me down. Just tell me. Just give me the look. Give me the look? What are you talking about? He wants permission to, you know, holding me down. Just tell me. Just give me the look. Give me the look? What are you talking about? He wants permission to, you know,
Starting point is 00:58:49 I don't want permission. I just want to know what my man doing. Are we keeping the moonwalking going? J.D., salute. You're going to win the R&B joint. Stupid, stupid, yo. What else we got? Yo, you a fool.
Starting point is 00:59:03 He moved on. They got him. They got him. He moved on. They got him. They got him. He moved on. That's my man. He don't give a fuck, too. He'll move on right this. I don't care.
Starting point is 00:59:11 You fuck me. I'm one bit. All right, yo, some funny shit. So some fans purchased a bunch of Frank Ocean leaked records. Purchased? Yeah. So what happens is, all right, so they got these like message boards,
Starting point is 00:59:27 Discord servers, et cetera, and they have what's called a group buy. So let's say I got some unreleased shit. I got it from an engineer, whatever the case may be.
Starting point is 00:59:36 I'll put up in there, yo, for 2,500, y'all can have this record. Okay. A song? I've seen it for a song, depending on,
Starting point is 00:59:43 like that's how these leaks come out. That's smooth. So what'll happen is a bunch of people will get together. It'll be a group bond. So you'll put in, you'll put in. As long as, once that number's hit.
Starting point is 00:59:54 It's a Kickstarter. Yeah. For bootleg. Yeah. So once that number's hit, that person gets paid and whoever organized it, they get the song.
Starting point is 01:00:03 Now sometimes people keep it. Other times they just release it this is how a lot of the leaks come out gotcha now people have you know been able to monetize it like we before used to be just get somebody music go upload it online now they're like no we're getting paid for it so what happened a bunch of frank ocean records were leaked over the past couple weeks or months or so and And I think the person got upwards of $15,000. And then came out and said, hey, yo, those are all AI tracks.
Starting point is 01:00:32 Oh, shit. They wasn't real. So you'd be so thirsty to get the music from certain artists, i.e. a Frank, that when his name hits those servers, they're like, oh yeah, we'll buy it, we'll buy it. But then what happened? Because that sounds like a crime
Starting point is 01:00:49 the way you just described it. Well, it is a crime, but most of the time. It's a couple different crimes, I think. It's a bunch of different crimes, but unfortunately, a lot of times, those group buys are paid through Bitcoin. So? So, high track it.
Starting point is 01:01:02 And high track 221.88 ain't gonna get your money back like what the fuck you talking about yeah you don't know who this person is they ain't got they real profile
Starting point is 01:01:11 name and picture they anonymous they created some bullshit 17 transfers transfer transfer transfer transfer to get the bread yeah
Starting point is 01:01:18 thank y'all for the vivid description of how these criminal enterprises are run this has been a thing for a minute now. Like, shit, the Dr. Dre and Kendrick Lamar, the Beats commercial, that was just a little snippet. The full track, somebody just purchased it and put it out.
Starting point is 01:01:34 Like, it's been reference tracks. Y'all new kids are stupid. Oh, shit. Or smart. Or smart, nigga. No, I think, oh, no, I'm talking about the guy on the other side of it. I'm not talking about the smart guy. Gotcha, gotcha, gotcha.
Starting point is 01:01:48 You dodo heads, when the guy used to come in the barbershop selling the VCR, we plugged it in. Hey, you don't leave. Stay right there. Hey, give me that tape. Come on. You got the wire? Yeah, come on. Do the little shit. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 01:02:05 Three bra, yeah. That was the hood, how we authenticated things. You got to still authenticate if you on the black market somehow. That's funny, dog. Hey, the nigga used to come in the barbershop with the DVDs. What we do when we was black? Open it up.
Starting point is 01:02:18 Hold on. Yeah. Hold on, pop that in right there. Pop that in. That's when the barbershop started getting DVD players. Right on in. It's a fact. Yeah, I don't feel bad for these guys.
Starting point is 01:02:29 I don't feel bad for these guys. This shit was hilarious to me. I'm about to try and sell them some shit, too. Oh, I've been trying. Yeah, niggas, this is crazy. I'm home trying to concoct something. I'm home breaking bad with the music. Yo, you got Pump It Up remix? So, moving on.
Starting point is 01:02:44 Look at you about to sell some dated shit that I don't even own. Look at you. They'll pay for it. You about to get sued. By you. I'm trying to get some new shit. By me. Shit by Universal.
Starting point is 01:02:54 That shit is still hot. That's a new record. That's their playoff little movie bag still. Go ahead and try to do something with Pump It Up. They on your ass. They don't play by me. They don't play by that. They don't play by me. They do not play by me.
Starting point is 01:03:09 Now that E1 Joe They like whatever go down over there. They don't give a fuck. They never loved me. They not paying nobody no way. Yeah, for real. What else? What else? What else? Ice Spice is on Billboard, the cover of Billboard.
Starting point is 01:03:28 Ice Spice says she owns everything, her publishing. She has creative control, all her shit. She owns her masters. She owns everything. She owns all five songs? Yeah. That's what I was saying. Why is this making the rounds?
Starting point is 01:03:40 Shout out to Ice Spice. I mean, salute, but it's- I fuck with her, but- She only got a couple songs out. That's not unheard of. Who else is supposed to own that? Nigga, you just started yesterday. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:03:55 How can I lose if I already won? All of that shit is cool. SpongeBob shit. You call this SpongeBob shit? No, the record. The SpongeBob beat. No, I'm not... Stop. The SpongeBob beat. You call this Spongebob shit? No, the record. The Spongebob beat. No, I'm not. Stop.
Starting point is 01:04:08 The Spongebob beat. You said it, not me. The beat was bad. The Spongebob beat, man. Second single, bro. Stop, man. My bad, my bad. I'm young boys.
Starting point is 01:04:14 Just having fun with her. What the fuck are you doing? That hair, dude. That hair, yo. All right. Can you? I like her little afro. They do, too. They do, yo. All right. I like her little afro. They do, too.
Starting point is 01:04:28 They do, too. You what? You're right, man. We like it. You like it? I love it. You don't like her little afro? I do. I do.
Starting point is 01:04:34 Very nice. College Hill on BET Plus put out a clip of Jocelyn Hernandez and Amber Rose fight. And in the clip, both of them is grabbing each other's hair to get the advantage of the other person. But Amber's bald. I know him. So in the comments, it was just like, right girl, wrong plan. They start going crazy in the comments.
Starting point is 01:04:59 They had a fight? But Amber bald, child, what is you grabbing on? Oh, man. I laughed for an hour. BET has a new show coming out. It's like, but Amber Ball, child, what is you grabbing on? Oh, man. I laughed for an hour. BET has a new show coming out. It's College Hill. It's College Hill. Yeah, it's College Hill, but it's like the celebrity edition.
Starting point is 01:05:11 So all these celebs go back to school. Ray J's in it. Got it, got it. Joslyn, Amber Rose. I wonder if that's the season they wanted me in. Or was it last season? I don't know. They couldn't have did that in front of me.
Starting point is 01:05:24 I'd have had to break it up. You'd have had to that in front of me. I'd have had to break it up. You'd have had to what? I'm sorry. I'd have had to break it up. They asked you to be a part of that? Why are you questioning my man like he not him? No, I'm not doing that. No, they asked me to. Oh!
Starting point is 01:05:35 Wouldn't that have been funny? I got a little bit of already. Holy shit. That would have been hilarious, right? That would have been hilarious. You be shitting on niggas at night, say stop. No, it would've been hilarious cause they didn't

I don't know if I could do that show. You could. What's the point of it? Well, to get a college education. What was enticing to me is you do get some real type of degree or something. Nah, they was going back to school for it. So you really do get it? Yeah. It's real.
Starting point is 01:06:14 It's real college. I don't think you actually do the college work, though, do you? It's not looking like it from the clips. But who knows? What do I know? Who cares? But hold on. Let me shut up

Listen, both of them got hands, so. You good on saying like, yo, they got hands? Amber got hands? Amber's from Philadelphia, and she's 5'9". Maybe 10. That's not a walk in the park for no girl.

Starting point is 01:08:02 Make a little mark. Tanner, somebody. That ain't saying anything. Clip it. Make a little mark. Tanner, somebody. That's a good one. Yo, we didn't even talk about really the Dirk 6ix9ine fight. Is it going to happen? No. No. Come on, man.
Starting point is 01:08:15 Okay, I mean, it seemed ridiculous. No. What is it to talk about? Who's going to pay them $50 million to fight anyways? Where did it come from? Dirt. I told y'all, the way that we used the word millions when it got to the hood has been...
Starting point is 01:08:31 It's been a mess. It's a different million. Once that shit got to the hood, we have misused it. Ain't nothing to talk about. Like you said, it came from dirt. It did. This is all, it came from dirt. It did. This is all.
Starting point is 01:08:47 Roll out. Yeah. I'm not used to seeing this from him. I'm going to say it. Sorry. I'm not used to it. It looks weird to me. It looks funny to me.
Starting point is 01:09:01 I hope the album, or maybe this is his way of saying the album ain't going to be what you think it's going to be. Would you be Eskimo Brothers with 6ix9ine? Knowingly? I'm asking a question. To the room. I said he already might be. Okay. You?

Starting point is 01:11:29 I call this nigga, he said, I was going to call you to see if you was good. Nigga, what? That's crazy. Why would you even say that to me? The oldest shit,
Starting point is 01:11:39 I was just about to call you to see if you was good. Yo, I'm so bad at small talk. That nigga called. I was just about to see if you were feeling better. I forgot that's something just like a good human does. It's hard pretendance. It's tough.
Starting point is 01:12:01 It's tough, yo. Holy shit. It's tough. But I did think about it like that. I hope he's feeling better. But you just forgot to call me. Not a text? Corey texted me.
Starting point is 01:12:10 Yo, you good? Oh, good. My man. He's my man right there. That was on behalf of the... That was on behalf of the... Yo. Oh, man.

Starting point is 01:12:33 You said spend. I don't hear what he's saying. I said spending money. I say amen. But why don't you do that every year on Mother's Day? A little different. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 01:12:44 Oh, yeah. Can I say? No, you can't. OK. Yes, yeah. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Can I say? No, you can't. Okay. Yes, yes. Can you say? No, I can't. You know, they be listening. It's like, nah, nah, nah.

Starting point is 01:13:06 Hey, Joe, Joe, chill out. Walk away. Walk away. How was it looking, though? Is it how you? Tanner, make a little edit. Tanner, make a little edit. That's freaking crazy.
Starting point is 01:13:16 Yo. Okay, it's just a couple dollars, you know. Because it's that Mother's Day, right? Yeah. And then you smooth it out as they go. Yes. That one, though? because it's that Mother's Day right and then you smooth it out as they go yes that will know oh and you was on this type of time but now you're on this type of time ain't so bad though Mother's Day and one of the real expensive ones right
Starting point is 01:13:36 what hey Joe I'm asking yes it might be the one oh yeah really it's more expensive than the birthday or Christmas yeah I think I'm celebrating I might be the one. Oh, y'all really love y'all. It's more expensive than the birthday or Christmas? Yeah, I think y'all might be looking at it wrong. Yeah, because I don't really be celebrating. Y'all might be looking at it wrong. Okay, but you look at it wrong. Expand, celebrate. No, he don't really be celebrating Christmas. The audience is confused right now with me.
Starting point is 01:13:53 Especially the first one. So you- Y'all have to untuck your dicks. I'm about to talk. For your mom, right? For your mother. For me, I don't really do Christmas like that. You get what I'm saying? But for your mother, it's your mother. So your mother. For me, I don't really do Christmas like that. You get what I'm saying?
Starting point is 01:14:05 But for your mother, it's your mother. So your mother is her. And then for the mother of your kids, they brought your kid or kids into the world. So you kind of appreciate that. You know what I'm saying? You definitely do. So I think that's to be celebrated more than Christmas. Especially that first Mother's Day.
Starting point is 01:14:24 I'm telling you, bro. It's more expensive because, fam, what she went through to bring your kid into the world. I forget. I'm trying to explain something to you here. All of that shit comes into it. When you say first Mother's Day, you mean the first child? No, I'm talking about the first year.
Starting point is 01:14:38 Listen to me. Talk to me. Follow my hand. Can y'all find a way to answer my question i understand why it's important and sentimental i'm talking about once we get to all right i'm turning up how does it get expensive the word expensive oh a dinner no nice well no you get if you decide right then you do like how bad how far do you go with Mother's Day gifts? However far you want. Is that when a trip is relevant here?
Starting point is 01:15:12 Jewelry, trips, jewelry, vehicles. You can buy a car. You can buy a bunch of shit. Okay, so maybe I have been looking at Mother's Day differently. Possibly. How do you spend Mother's Day? Like, what do you do for your mom and your children's mom? Well, yeah, like, my mom for Mother's Day is going to spend it with her sisters. Like, they have a dinner planned to honor their mom.
Starting point is 01:15:34 Gotcha. So I suggested that we honor her at breakfast. And I bought my mom some Venus flowers. I bought her some shit, but it's not like trip, car. My girl, fucking, I sent over a little, I can't say right now because she listening, but it wasn't crazy. It ain't like when the birthday roll up or Christmas roll up or just summertime roll up. Everybody crazy.
Starting point is 01:16:00 Wait, hold on. Summertime? What? Yes. Summertime? All right. You can't talk to broke niggas. No, I'm just sayingmertime? What? Yes. Summertime? All right. You can't talk to broke niggas. No, I'm just saying everybody definition of crazy is different.
Starting point is 01:16:09 So let's just say hypothetical. You spent $10,000. To the average motherfucker, $10,000 is... No, but I ain't really talking about that. I'm talking about for you, like, is jewelry a Mother's Day gift? Yes. It could be. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 01:16:23 But for you, is it? Me? I know what it could be. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But for you, is it? Me. I know what it could be. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It could be. It is for me this year, for my mom, because she's retiring
Starting point is 01:16:29 this week, actually, so congratulations. Congratulations. It's her birthday and it's Mother's Day, so they got to do something nice. And you up, up, up. Triple threat.
Starting point is 01:16:36 Oh, you... Yeah, don't leave that. Three things. That part matters. One up for each thing. Yeah, it's a lot. It's a lot. It's a lot for one weekend, but it is what it is. Yeah, but it balances because his wife don't... They don't... Yeah, it's a lot. It's a lot. It's a lot for one weekend.
Starting point is 01:16:45 Yeah, but it balances because his wife don't, they don't, they're not, so it balances. Listen, let's move on because I don't want my mom or girl
Starting point is 01:16:57 to really hear what y'all think about the holiday now. Y'all, y'all just turning up. Yeah, y'all, y'all need y'all giving out no bright ideas for nobody. Hey, y'all conduct Mother's Day how y'all, y'all go turning up. Yeah, y'all, y'all need y'all giving out no bright ideas.
Starting point is 01:17:06 Hey, y'all conduct Mother's Day how y'all do it. I'll conduct it the way I do it. One day, one day, I think it might have been two years ago, I didn't do what I was supposed to do for Mother's Day. And boy, did that have a lingering effect. That ruined like the next. With your mother? For your mom or your baby moms?
Starting point is 01:17:26 Oh, your girl. One time it was my baby moms. One time you got to, you know what I mean? You got to learn. Well, I had to learn. I mean, I speak for men. I had to learn. You got to show up through your own emotions and however you may feel about things.
Starting point is 01:17:39 You still have a responsibility to show up. Like, yeah, you get your kids something to give to the mom. You do that. Hey, if you you dating a girl with some kids and you just see she fucking bust ass the whole year go send a little card or you got to do something yeah do something I learned that that took a lot not even just a Mother's Day part but like my mom's had to tell me getting gifts from the kid for people yeah I wasn't doing that shit you gotta get a gift from her for this person and that person I'm like oh oh that shit had a quick to dog that's when I'm I went card shopping pardon I'm like they got went card shopping the
Starting point is 01:18:16 other night and I and like for me when I go card shopping I really read the cards I don't just pick up any car I try to get a card that says some shit that I would say. Yo, I can't even feed into that shit that you're saying, though, Kord, because somehow people text me and send me well wishes on Father's Day now. Like, I think they've made a concentrated effort. Concerted. That's the key. What?
Starting point is 01:18:39 Concerted. That, too. They concentrated, too, when they made that effort. Yo, dog, I bought four cards. Four cards cost when they made that effort. Yo, dog, I bought four cards. Four cards cost $33, my nigga. Four cards.
Starting point is 01:18:51 Yeah. Damn. Yeah, I'm like, damn, nigga, what happened to the $2.99 shit? That's not the 80s no more, bro.
Starting point is 01:18:59 That message don't hit the same no more. Oh, you've really been there all year, thanks. Yeah. I was like, damn, four cards cost $33. Cards be expensive. They, you've really been there all year. Thanks. Yeah. I was like, damn, four cards. It was $33.
Starting point is 01:19:07 Cards be expensive. They've been expensive. All right, then. Four. Baby mama, baby mama, mother. Four. It's a four. Yes.
Starting point is 01:19:17 My math is bad. Who's the four? It's your mom, two baby mamas, and your girl. But if your girl is your baby mama, what are you talking about? What kind of Canadian math you doing? No, she talking about you. You. You talking about me.
Starting point is 01:19:31 He's not talking about him. I'm talking about him. Oh, him. Y'all stop counting my cards, nigga. Thanks, Spades. Fuck out of here. You can call me
Starting point is 01:19:40 Baby Mom. This nigga head different, y'all. Wait, what was your count for me? I got it. My mom, my girl, y'all. Wait, what was your count for me? I got it. My mom, my girl, Bong, and Bong. Oh, the four.
Starting point is 01:19:49 Yeah. Should be getting expensive. Yeah. But yeah, no, who are the four cards for? No, no, no. I just, you ain't get, we not playing the unpeanuckle. We good over here. You know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 01:19:59 We all right. Okay. Speaking of Mother's Day and kids, y'all want to cover this? Brian McKnight. Brian McKnight has responded. I thought I heard something. Brian McKnight has responded to all of the rumors circulating about his namesake, his children, the abandonment. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:20:17 Here's his response. Brian McKnight here. There's been a lot of discussion. Talk smooth. Talk like you full of shit. Yeah, you talk like you're a piece of stuff, a deadbeat. Typically, I try not to give attention to the internet trolls. But now my family is being harassed online and accosted in public, apparently because some people can't handle seeing my happily ever after.
Starting point is 01:20:40 Coming after me is one thing, but the moment you come after my wife and our children, it's another story. Because even more important to me than defending my name is defending and protecting them. I want to address some of these recent discussions. Oh, child, good night. There is a very simple reason why I post about some of my children on social media and not others. And not them other niggas. The children that I do not currently have relationships with. I don't fuck with them niggas.
Starting point is 01:21:09 I don't post about them. Instead, I post about the children with whom I do have relationships, with whom I am proud of. All right, listen. These clips are scattered brained all over the place, so I'm just going to play them as we got them. He don't live in the past, he said.
Starting point is 01:21:28 I am so proud of the man I am today, the husband I am to my wife Leilani, and the father I am to our children. I'm so proud of our love, our family, our life, so I will, without apology, continue to shout about it as loud as I can. If you can't help or handle seeing happiness and love, then I respectfully ask you, why are you even on my page? Maybe you should ask yourself that too.
Starting point is 01:22:04 Another thing a lot of people have been talking about is the lawsuit my adult daughter, Brianna, brought against me a few years ago. There's been a lot of misinformation about the case and a lot of people who don't know what happened acting like they do. I think it is important to clear up some of that misinformation. In 2020, my biological daughter Brianna sued me for defamation and I don't live in the past. I live in the present. No, Joe Biden. Go to the next one. Breach of contract.
Starting point is 01:22:29 Next one. I posted it. If someone said that I did something I didn't do and I won a case proving that I didn't, I demand a public apology. I demand an acknowledgement of wrongdoing. Y'all made me skip one. No, it was planned over. And then I went to the next one
Starting point is 01:22:45 and y'all said the next one. The base value of that life insurance policy was $300,000 with $18,000 worth of interest. I did not disdain the code. He's doing a lot here. I made no false statements. I made up no stories.
Starting point is 01:22:58 You can do what you will with that information in deciding who you think won the case. Turn it. Finally, I want to address the abandonment issue for the last time. Those kids and I have had a long history of conflicts, mutual stances, and resolutions. But there was a time when we were truly a successfully blended family.
Starting point is 01:23:19 Julia, Jack, BJ, Nico, and Brianna. Our home was filled with love and acceptance, so much so that the kids were all calling each other siblings, contrary to the picture that's been painted online. Christmases, birthdays, Thanksgivings, Friendsgivings, all spent together, even standing up for me as my best man in our wedding, along with their brother Jack,
Starting point is 01:23:44 which I posted a pick up here. Cappuccino. Shortly thereafter, the same conflict over money arose again. We parted ways. And the next thing I knew, there were two posts from Brian and Brianna in 2019 telling the world a completely different. They all get it just for the reason. Finally, I never abandoned anyone our estrangement was mutual but those posts made any roads towards reconciliation and acknowledging
Starting point is 01:24:14 them a dead issue and i changed my will shut up nigga he changed his will though wow that is my new way to fight the kids cross their name out ladies and gentlemen now that you've heard does your opinion change what is your feedback my opinion does not change at all no he did a lot this was a lot that's a lot he don't fuck with the kids at all that No. He did a lot. This was a lot. That's a lot. He don't fuck with them kids. At all. That's it.
Starting point is 01:24:49 He don't fuck with them. That's it. I don't think there's much here. It's giving the second wife and speculation. I don't know nothing. But they invited us into the fucking conversation. But it's giving that the second wife i don't know maybe ultimatum of disown that first family if you want to get with no no no hell no i don't get that at all he just said they could they had christmases and holidays as the two
Starting point is 01:25:19 combined families before so if sure and then what happened then for whatever reason they went estranged. But that don't necessarily point the blame to the second wife. Oh, I'm not taking blame off of him whatsoever. At all. I don't even get ultimatum. Does he look like a nigga that accept ultimatums? Look what he's doing now.
Starting point is 01:25:39 He doesn't give ultimatum-ish behavior to me. I don't know what these two are talking about. I don't know what these two are talking about. Yeah, I'm awesome. But I just think that some people's families don't work out. It's a lot of people that don't fuck with their parents, yo. And when you rich and you successful, that might manifest in the media more than other people that, you know what I mean? Like regular Joe Schmo people.
Starting point is 01:26:01 There's mad people that don't fuck with their parents. Got that part. That's very common in America. How do we's mad people that don't fuck with their parents. Got that part. That's very common in America. I'm talking, how do we feel when the parent don't fuck with the kids? It's a little weird. I know. I've seen it. Is there a reason in the world that you could think of to make somebody not fuck with their kids?
Starting point is 01:26:18 See, the part that gets me about this, it's not even that he don't fuck with the kids. It just seems like he's going out of his way to show that I don't fuck with your kids. That's the part where you could not fuck with them and just not fuck with them. But you were going, like, that post he had, I became a girl dad with you. Look, you got a grown daughter. So you did not become a girl dad with her. And even if you did, even if you felt that, you don't have to say it. Yeah, that's the part that's getting all the way.
Starting point is 01:26:42 You renaming your new son Brian Jr. is corny. Like, you doing petty shit. At the end of this video, he said he has absolutely no regret about naming his new son Brian as that is the child that he wants to carry on the McKnight legacy. He said it out of his mouth. See? I can continue to play this for you if you like. He said-
Starting point is 01:26:57 That might not be that. Let me pull it back up for you. That's his stance. Let me let him finish. Our estrangement was mutual. Even these words he's using, our estrangement is mutual He is all he is done with you don't fuck with them. Yeah, ain't fucking them a dead issue and I changed my will the next day I've spent the last 30 plus years building a recognized
Starting point is 01:27:20 Respectable name and ironically there are still people out there who are trying to smear my name while still carrying it hoping to use it for their own benefit I make absolutely no apologies for naming my infant son Brian I want him and the world to know that he is the one
Starting point is 01:27:40 who is my true legacy so I'll be over here continuing to love and protect my wife I'll be over here continuing to love and protect my wife and our children as we continue to love our life. That's crazy.
Starting point is 01:27:54 Yeah. That still does to me. Anyone? What can we say? Anything. Anything. I think he's just talking from his heart.
Starting point is 01:28:04 He feels, yeah. I really think he's talking from his heart. I don't think he's doing no pandering. I don't think he's just talking how from his heart i really think he's talking from his heart i don't think he's doing no pandering i don't think he's doing no clickbaity shit i think he had nothing like that sounds like a pandering clickbaity shit i don't think he don't i think he like yo i'm gonna tell you what it is and y'all gonna accept it or not but that's what it is well listen i'm so shocked at your take the i would have thought the opposite i would have thought that his new family or new wife urged him to respond yeah and handle this my kids are receiving death threats yes i'm getting spoke to a certain way you look a certain way like
Starting point is 01:28:37 do something no they're pulling the race card no no i kind of feel like it's No. They're pulling the race card. No. No, I kind of feel like it's, that paints a picture of like more, like some damsel in distress thing. I don't think so. Well, wait a second.
Starting point is 01:28:54 And, all right. Look. It wouldn't be a damsel in distress. So. You don't classify that as a damsel in distress. So, there's rumors that his marriage to her or his relationship with her started while he was still married so yeah and so like there's it takes a lot to get a man to not only end his marriage with another woman but to marry you that that's very that is a very rare
Starting point is 01:29:27 occurrence okay it just it doesn't happen as frequently most men are just content with keeping their their wife and just cheating not going through the whole process of a divorce and some and stuff like that just in the way in which I kind of hate how you just painted men just painted men. Most men are cool with just keeping their marriage and cheating. I hate how you... That sounded disgusting. Well, no, I mean, I'm not... Let her finish. No, but what I didn't say...
Starting point is 01:29:52 I mean, the phrase is cheaper to keep but it exists for a reason. Thank you. I didn't say most or all men cheat. That's not what I'm saying. I'm saying that men that cheat will be content with cheating, it's cheaper to keep her,
Starting point is 01:30:03 and they'll just cheat on their wife rather than getting a full-on divorce to marry the mistress. That's very rare. That doesn't happen a lot. So that just kind of is like indicative of a certain type of personality in a woman that is what's the word like maybe a little strong-willed you know what I mean I think that the way he's even speaking he's speaking so performatively you know it's he's speaking like so it's almost like he's reading you know it's almost script like you know what I mean? And I have a feeling that this is not his script. This is just, I don't know, intuition, instinct. I could be fucking wrong. I don't know.
Starting point is 01:30:54 I don't know these people. This is just my assessment of it. But I also, having no children, cannot conceptualize what could happen to make you say, fuck those kids. I want nothing to do with them. This is my family. You're written out of the will. Disowned.
Starting point is 01:31:13 Suck a dick. Like, I can't understand that. But again, I don't have children. Now, before I was on that side, let's play it out the way you said it. Relationship with this woman started while married to moms i could see the kids feeling away i could see the kids not accepting that family i could see the kids not accepting them kids and you the line in the sand is drawn so
Starting point is 01:31:38 you like if you don't fuck with them you don't fuck with me i could see where that could create that whole but he just spoke to something totally contrary To the narrative Hypothetical that y'all saying He said yo we collectively As two families had holidays And events together They were even calling each other siblings So what happened
Starting point is 01:31:58 He was talking about both families when he said that Yeah he said they were calling each other siblings So at some point they had accepted And acknowledged the other family as their own. If it's true. If that's true. Right? So my thing to what Mel is saying.
Starting point is 01:32:18 Have you ever, personal question, if you give me the round one. Go ahead. You ever dealt with a dude that was in a relationship? Yeah. personal question if you've given me the round go ahead you ever dealt with a dude that was in a relationship yeah so in dealing with somebody in a relationship that person could be totally miserable in that relationship the new man or the new woman that you are dating could show you something that you've never seen in a significant other before to where you fall in love with them you're in a miserable situation here you leave that situation alone to go pursue the situation that brings you real joy and happiness i totally understand yeah but the way you just painted it was like yo that never really happened i i said it was extremely rare that that happened the marriage point or the person being with the
Starting point is 01:33:00 side chick see but i don't think it's real i don't think it's real we know a lot of people that tell you i think what happens is most I don't think it's real. I don't think it's real. We know a lot of people that do it at all. I'm about to tell you, I think what happens is most people don't have enough money to leave their situation. Okay.
Starting point is 01:33:10 They rich. So we see in Hollywood, people leave, J-Lo will be like, all right, we out. This nigga be like, we out. They have enough money
Starting point is 01:33:19 to where circumstances don't hold them in a relationship. Listen, I... Or the side chick. That may in fact be true, but there is a whole swath of men in perfect place since you want to talk about fame and wealth and stuff like that in Hollywood
Starting point is 01:33:38 that hold on, that keep the first wife, but they are philanderers. They are like rampant cheaters. Cheating is not falling in love. I might be fucking you on the side and that's what you are. A fuck on the... Let me finish, Mel.
Starting point is 01:33:51 You just might be a fuck on the side. That don't mean I fell in love with you. I think the pussy's good. We have fun. We have time together and our time together is cool, but I don't want to be in a relationship with you.
Starting point is 01:34:02 Yeah. Okay. Get it out, Mel. Get it out. No, no, no, no, no. Am I saying something wrong? Go back out. No.
Starting point is 01:34:08 I'm waiting to hear what she said. There's like, I can't put anybody's fucking business on French street. Don't. You don't have to do that. That's what it is. But I've literally seen an example of somebody who is of high net worth, extremely,
Starting point is 01:34:24 and he's still married to... Whomever. Yes. But he has a mistress. I believe that. And he's had her forever. And everybody knows he is in love with her. That's a possibility.
Starting point is 01:34:37 So when a man cheats you, you have no idea what he's going through. If he's just fucking or if he actually fell in love with the girl. You have no idea what he's going through. If he's just fucking or if he actually fell in love with the girl. That's just fucking semantics that are related to the individual situation. But not when the guy changes his Instagram bio and announces publicly to anyone who has ears, I have nothing to do with that lady or these kids. No, I left the lady and I married the new lady. I have a new family.
Starting point is 01:35:01 This is my new wife. This is who represents me. I don't hear with that part. Exactly. So him saying they were at once a blended family and This is my new wife. This is who represents me. Like, I don't hear with that part. So, exactly. So, him saying they were at once a blended family, and then all of a sudden, his entire first family, he has nothing to do with, what the fuck could have happened where collectively, he falls out with all of them and then just disowns them?
Starting point is 01:35:21 But he said it, though. Yeah, a lot. And he said a lot of that shit was predicated on money. Unless you're not taking his word for it, then that's different. Yeah. Well, then that's where you go wrong. That's where we'll never know. If you make an assumption, you know what they say.
Starting point is 01:35:33 So that leads you to create your own assumption. No, I'm literally saying that this is his version. This is his narrative. And that's all that we've pretty much been getting. Other than the fact that the lawsuit was filed and, you know, what the paperwork actually says, you know, we're just getting his narrative. I mean, he just fucking just gave us a whole monologue. You know what I mean? Rightfully so.
Starting point is 01:35:55 But it's all his version of the story as to what's transpired. We don't really know any other version. I mean, and it's just like, it's all speculation just because we got fucking involved in the group chat. I agree. And more lawsuits. And more lawsuits?
Starting point is 01:36:16 Nigga, prize, man. Yo, it'd be hard to fit the jersey sometimes. It'd be hard, yo. So, prize is suing 50 Cent and Kyrie hard yo for defamation why because they called him a snitch because they said because he said he was not he was never a federal informant and they are calling him a federal informant so you're in turn defaming his character and something along the lines of stopping his, interfering with his money, is what he was saying.
Starting point is 01:36:47 Ah. No, the government interfered with your money. The government that seized that money, now I got to go sue these two rich niggas. You almost was up like 30 mil, and the government stopped that. They seized that money, and I got to go sue these two rich niggas to get some of that back. That's what that's about.
Starting point is 01:37:01 You got to sue the site that put that out there. Exactly. Get on your 50s shit. Sue the site that put that out. And it. Get on your 50s shit. Sue the site that put that out. Exactly. And there was a lot of sites that were put in wall number. His part about Kyrie
Starting point is 01:37:10 was because of Kyrie's tweets. And his part about 50 is 50 had the picture up and said, I never fucked with this dude. Or he was a rat. I never fucked with him. So that's where he would sue.
Starting point is 01:37:23 He wouldn't sue the site in that sense. He would sue 50. wouldn't sue the site in that sense. He would sue 50. They got the information from the site. Same way when you post something, when we watch this with some other lawsuits with celebrities, you post something, that happens. Like, they coming after you.
Starting point is 01:37:37 Ayo, Pryze. You're not going to sue Instagram. Thank you, thank you. Ayo, Pryze. Thank you. That's such a dumbass death. He's about to go take a seat. He's about to sit down. He's about to sit down. They found him with what team? He's going to sit Prize. Thank you. That's such a dumb ass death. He's about to go to the sea. He's about to sit down.
Starting point is 01:37:46 He's about to sit down. They found him with what team? He's going to sit down. Federal prison. Whatever, all charges. Yeah. Really? Yeah, he's getting like what, 20 years?
Starting point is 01:37:54 Hopefully not. I don't want to put that out there. Hopefully not. Okay, he's looking at potentially. There you go. Yeah. It's not looking fucking awesome. Hard to find. He want money. He ain. There you go. Yeah. It's not looking fucking awesome. He want money for his
Starting point is 01:38:09 books. Oh, man. Big Jersey, man. Hey, Pryze, I'm with you, man. That nigga should have kept your name out they mouth, man. Oh, shit. They started suing your ass like, thanks for the podcast, Sid. I ain't said nothing. I'm just saying
Starting point is 01:38:25 Big Jersey You got it bro Shout out to Prize Get well soon Get well It's rough out there man He's sick right now Yeah he's sick right now
Starting point is 01:38:37 He's sick They got the bubble guts You can imagine He's sick Fuck you talking about Fuck you Alright well Man
Starting point is 01:38:44 I'm talking about T tired of these topics. But in other... No, you're not. I am. It's your shit. No, it's not my shit. I'm on the other side of this. But in other potential informant, I guess, I don't know how you want to classify it. Don't shoot me. Apparently, some paperwork
Starting point is 01:39:00 surfaced involving P from Quality Control. Apparently, someone had and this is just what I read off the paperwork I don't know someone had shot at him and had killed his brother brother and when questioned he gave a statement say the person was we described them described him, and everything. So now this has come out. A lot of people are,
Starting point is 01:39:30 oh, he's a rat, he's a rat, he's a rat. Which brings us back to the... The age-old question. Exactly. Where does it bring us back to? What's the question? What is snitching, essentially? P responds to this. He says,
Starting point is 01:39:42 I see that 300 million got all them hatin hating ass niggas mad back home. Anybody know me, know my character. Our culture is so fucked up. It's sad y'all are living this imaginary street dream. I'm changing lives and changing my family curse. I don't got no love for niggas that try to kill me or mine. I ain't in the streets, never wanted to be. I played the hand I was dealt and made something out of it. Y'all bum ass niggas should do the same. Stop glorifying dumb shit.
Starting point is 01:40:13 Rest in peace to my dog Q, an innocent man with five kids who lost his life to a bum ass nigga who didn't value his own. I am a goat. Don't ever confuse me with a rat. Now take that fraudulent incident report and stick it up your ass. I love my freedom so stop playing with it. Thoughts?
Starting point is 01:40:36 Well, he says it's fraudulent so that says that he's saying it's fraudulent. My take was even if it wasn't fraudulent, I don't see if it wasn't fraudulent, I don't see the beef. You know my take. So my... I'm telling you.
Starting point is 01:40:50 You didn't... Flip, you the resident fucking street nigga interpreter. So help me out. Don Diva, this out for me. Yeah, yeah, word. I'm not going to do all that. The floor is yours.
Starting point is 01:41:02 I feel like in certain situations, people use the street. If somebody killed your brother, Nigga, don't force me to talk like that. If somebody killed your brother, you doing street justice or are you going to...
Starting point is 01:41:18 I'm handling it the way that I was taught to handle it. Which is? If somebody killed my brother, I'm up 300 million. I'm getting them killed. What if he wasn't up 300 million at the time? If somebody kill my brother, I'm up $300 million. I'm getting him killed. What if he wasn't up $300 million at the time? If somebody kills my brother, I'm up a million dollars. I'm getting him killed. No, you're not. Yes, I am. Why do you think we not? That's not true. Yes, I am.
Starting point is 01:41:33 I don't believe Antoine. Listen, if somebody kills my brother and I know who you are, I'm going to try my best to get you hurt. Off the earth, nigga. Sandbox. Like, what are we talking about here? These are some people really live by this creed.
Starting point is 01:41:49 That's true. Everybody don't, like, some people don't use the streets to, I'm not saying. That's true. That's why I was talking to y'all. I'm not saying this was huge. I said, Antoine. I'm just saying. If some dude shoots at me and hits my brother and I'm up a couple million dollars or whatever the case may be
Starting point is 01:42:06 and I have the ability to get them killed, I'm getting them killed. Are you not worried about it coming back to you? Yeah, you worry but this is the thing, right? Where he is in his life, I totally understand everything that he said. He read it. Like, yo, I'm up.
Starting point is 01:42:22 I value my freedom. I'm not putting my freedom in jeopardy at 300 million. I bust my ass and worked hard to get here. I get it. I don't know when this incident occurred.
Starting point is 01:42:32 Do you know when? I was trying to find out when the incident occurred. How long ago? I don't know. Go ahead. I don't know if it happened a long time ago.
Starting point is 01:42:38 I don't know if it happened recently. Hopefully it didn't happen recently that he's getting shot at. The date on here says that looks like a two. 2010. Oh shit, 10. Okay.
Starting point is 01:42:51 So 13 years ago, if he made a report 13 years ago and you identified the individual, I mean, everybody is different. This is what I'm going to say. There's no right or wrong in the answer. It just depends on the person that's assessing the data. So if you lived in the streets and that's your thing they have a
Starting point is 01:43:09 code and a justice that goes with that life if you're a civilian and you somebody breaking in your house and you call the cops it's okay it's not it's not wrong to do that i'm just saying based on what some of these people portray and some of the quote unquote ethics and morals that they run with, there's a way to deal with it. You saying, I agree with you that there is no right or wrong. You feel how you feel,
Starting point is 01:43:32 you handle it how you handle it. Right? In the real world. I disagree in the music business. If you have a plan to further your business and your peers and your friends. And if that's your plan, you have nothing. You're rubbing two rocks together.
Starting point is 01:43:51 But you got big dreams and plans. No, you paying to have somebody off don't run concurrent with those plans. But we know a lot of people. How'd you start off? Yeah. How'd you start off? Yeah How'd you start off what? And that's my problem That matters
Starting point is 01:44:07 Your start matters Your start is important So you saying that Yo I don't have two rocks To rub together You not just a civilian dude That work at a job And you don't have
Starting point is 01:44:17 Nothing together And you get this music business Off the ground No you started this music business Predicated on street shit And so And getting to where you are today Takes discipline You still were operating One foot in and one foot out.
Starting point is 01:44:27 No, see, I totally, I disagree with that. I don't know him. I'm not speaking about him. I'm not even talking about them no more. What I'm saying is, if you started a company and you started a company off street shit, it could be a fucking real estate company. It don't got to be a music business. Then that's the day your street shit is retired is what I'm saying.
Starting point is 01:44:45 But it's not. No, it's not. People want to use the culture. the street money to fund the new venture. But the new venture, if you want to progress
Starting point is 01:44:54 and advance, you can no longer participate in the street shit. You are correct. But you have to step completely out of the street shit. This is Ghost trying to get away from the game.
Starting point is 01:45:02 Not Ghost because he stayed in it. No, that's exactly. Ghost was trying to get away. Ghost also didn't Ghost because he stayed in it. That's exactly it. Ghost was trying to get away. Ghost also didn't have a single and was shooting videos. Ghost was living his life a certain way. Dog, we know a bunch of, you talk about a bunch of these artists who are half in the street and half not. There's a lot of niggas still in the street. It's a whole bunch of them.
Starting point is 01:45:17 You bring this up a lot. I know. That's why I'm doubling down in the second that dumb niggas start trying to be musicians and entrepreneurs and label execs, their street history is to its end. You go in to surround yourself. Oh, hell no. If I'm wrong, then tell me the men who are examples. I don't want to say nobody's name, but I could give you. Why not?
Starting point is 01:45:39 Because I don't know. Let's edit them. Edit them. Weep them. I can tell you this. Until music sustains your livelihood, that's when you leave the street shit alone. And you know from starting off in the music business, it takes a minute before it can pay all your bills and take care of your family and your friends. Y'all are wrong.
Starting point is 01:45:57 If I sign a record deal tomorrow as a street nigga, day three, if I'm dope, if I'm dope, that's important. If I'm dope If I'm dope That's important If I'm dope The label's gonna pay my rent The label's gonna move me Out of that fucking neighborhood Where all of my friends In trouble is The label is gonna try their best
Starting point is 01:46:14 To protect their investment If I Go back Dog I don't know what y'all want me to say I'm talking from experience And I asked y'all for actual names Of the people that support your argument.
Starting point is 01:46:25 If y'all are unable to do that. But you're speaking for the 5%. There's a lot of niggas that get deals and still go back outside to participate in the streets. Stop speaking.
Starting point is 01:46:31 And I don't know what everybody's not speaking to. Everybody's not mature as you. Like a lot of these young rappers, nigga, like a lot of these young rappers that get shot and get niggas killed
Starting point is 01:46:39 and get locked up. Stop, yo. Big bags. After still making money. A lot of these young rappers from this. 50 Cent was in the street. It had mixtapes running around New York City.
Starting point is 01:46:47 No, he was not. Y'all are just talking out your ass. No, he was not. There was no more boo when Wankster was out. That was over. He wasn't on God Brew. Joe, it was years before Wankster came out. He had a fucking seven, eight year run before Wankster dropped.
Starting point is 01:47:02 All right. Where he was still a musician. I don't want us to argue just to argue. He's not talking about how to rob. Listen to me. You're talking about how to rob. When you are in your house making music and no one is into you and it's just you, yes, you could be in the street.
Starting point is 01:47:15 You could do whatever the fuck you want to do. That's not. But then you're having the wrong conversation. I'm talking about when you are a professional musician now. I'm talking about when your money and your livelihood comes from music. So let's have the same conversation. I'm not talking about dumb niggas. There's many a niggas in the street
Starting point is 01:47:30 trying to do music. That's a fact. There's nothing to argue there. I'm talking about once you now are a musician full time. It's not the majority of musicians. A lot don't become musicians full time. There you go.
Starting point is 01:47:43 Then give me the examples of those people. I don't want us to become musicians full time. I don't know somebody's financial account. I don't know what they-time. There you go. Then give me the examples of those people. Who have become musicians full-time? Hold on, hold on, hold on. I don't know what they made and what they didn't make. You're asking for the examples of who became musicians full-time or who didn't? Give me the half-time crooks. Give me the part-time crooks. Dog, we just, we were...
Starting point is 01:48:00 Fam, Young Thug is in jail right now on a Rico. And he was an exec with artists under him. Ton of money. That was a great point. Everything in the world. I know. It proves my point. But he didn't leave the street out.
Starting point is 01:48:12 It's over. And it's over. What are you talking about? It's over for him. Yes. Because he didn't leave the streets. You got it. Y'all got it.
Starting point is 01:48:23 Y'all got it. Come on. What do you mean? That's what he's saying. He's saying, why don't you become a full-time musician? Let's move on. Come on. Y'all got it.'all got it Come on What do you mean That's what he's saying He's saying Once you become A full time musician Let's move on
Starting point is 01:48:27 Come on Y'all got it It's okay Let's move on Next Let's move on What else we got What else we got
Starting point is 01:48:32 Y'all got on here Was he a full time Was he a full time musician And while he was Putting hits out Hits As in What they claim
Starting point is 01:48:43 He was doing In the streets of Atlanta Was he a full time musician while he was doing that? Can you answer my question? I don't think so. No, from what I heard, yes. You cannot be both. You cannot be is my entire argument.
Starting point is 01:48:53 And that's what I kept saying. Not many become full-time musicians. That's what I said. You said give me the examples. So I'm giving you an example of one who did not become a full-time musician. You tell me who did become full-time musicians. Man of them. Who?
Starting point is 01:49:08 You told me the name. I named one. Jay. Jay-Z, let's start there. It's an anomaly. Okay. 50 Cent. Snoop.
Starting point is 01:49:19 At a certain point. All of these great. Not at a certain point. By reasonable doubt, Jay-Z was no longer in Marcy Projects trying to... That's not what was happening. Wasn't Snoop on a murder charge while he was hot? Yes. Jay-Z was on tour.
Starting point is 01:49:36 Jay-Z was moving around, doing shows, and got locked up. A murder charge is not my argument here. You can get a murder charge by protecting yourself. You could protect yourself while you're a musician. Okay, I got it. All right, Tomatoes, I got you. I hear you. It's different.
Starting point is 01:49:54 Some do, not many do that. There's a lot of niggas outside that do get deals, that become full-time musicians, but that cannot leave the street alone. That's not being a full-time musician. That's what I'm saying. Hold up, another thing, too. We talking artist versus exec.
Starting point is 01:50:07 And artist versus exec is a whole different thing, too. As an artist, yeah, the label going to take care of you. The label going to put you somewhere to live in your example. And you bringing all the niggas from your hood to your house. If you are an exec, do they get budgets to perform? I don't know. I'm asking you. An exec is not performing.
Starting point is 01:50:27 What do you mean? That's my point. So now if you are an exec I don't understand what you're saying. I'm about to explain. I'm going to wrap it up. If you are an exec and you got artists
Starting point is 01:50:35 and you a street person tell me how you as an exec now leave the streets alone and still get hot as an exec and got a label and all that other shit if the source of your funds comes from the streets.
Starting point is 01:50:49 Until you go sign the cash money universal $35 million deal, until you do certain shit, you funding your whole entire operation with street money. So you have one foot in the streets and one foot in the studio until you get that check.
Starting point is 01:51:04 But that's the point I'm talking about the studio until you get that check. But that's the point I'm talking about that y'all keep refuting. That is the point I'm talking about. I'm not talking about anything that you had to do to get to that point. I'm talking about your behavior once you got to that point. That's what I'm talking about. Once you get that check. Oh, no, you left it alone. I don't know what y'all are saying.
Starting point is 01:51:22 If that's what you're saying, once you get the check. I've been saying that from the beginning. You cannot steal second base and keep your foot on first. If you are actively trying to be a full-time exec or musician, there is no way for you to be successful in your street shit and successful in music. And if I'm wrong, then I'll wait for the example. Yeah, I don't get what y'all be talking about, you know a whole bunch of people like this
Starting point is 01:51:49 I don't like I want us to be very clear on the shit that we start arguing out here These niggas are out here trying to do both Because somebody made them believe they can do both And they're throwing away a real legit legal opportunity at some shit for what because you want to go shoot at a nigga because you want to deal a pack or because you want a gang or because you're tough maybe it makes sense not to me not to none of the street niggas i know they was dying to buy a barbershop or a laundromat or find an artist or clean some shit up so we don't have to live like this no more. It's only in stupid
Starting point is 01:52:28 ass hip hop do we keep incentivizing people to live like this. It's aggravating to listen to. So now you see a nigga that's 500 M's up. He did it in a short span. 10 fucking years. That ain't a long
Starting point is 01:52:44 time to get 500 M's. And he's saying, yo, I'm not a street nigga. I ain't with none of that. I'm changing my family curse. I'm changing this. I'm not with none of that. Somebody shot at my brother. I ran after him.
Starting point is 01:52:54 I shot at him. And yeah, I described him to the police. He's saying it. And here comes stupid ass hip hop. Are you a snitch? Yeah, boy. All right. Maybe he is.
Starting point is 01:53:04 Yeah. Maybe he is Yeah Maybe he is But people use the culture To what they want to use To their advantage Until it's no longer Advantageous As long as they can't
Starting point is 01:53:12 Take advantage of it No longer Or it doesn't work Into their favor I hate when niggas do that You have to If you're going to do that There's ways to do it
Starting point is 01:53:19 And do it properly You know what I'm saying When they use the culture When all them niggas Rap about killing guns And all them niggas In the street That was in the label And all the shit Was going on, niggas at dice games and all that shit, all that shit funded certain things.
Starting point is 01:53:30 Right? And then now, when paperwork come out. Yo, make no mistake. Hold on. Now that paperwork come out. I'm sorry. Now that paperwork came out and it's a different stance on certain things. Which is cool.
Starting point is 01:53:44 You can live your life, but you are subjected to ridicule. Period. I think as you grow, you put away childish things, right? The quote in the Bible, which is cool.
Starting point is 01:53:53 It's a fact. I'm not disrespecting that. I'm saying that we kind of moved the goalposts in this conversation, but in starting that, if you were in the streets
Starting point is 01:54:04 and that was the source of your funds, then during that time you came along, what went with how you was getting your funds? That's what I believe. I'm not saying
Starting point is 01:54:13 he can't feel the way. I'm not saying that he can't think that he think. This nigga, this is what comes with it. That's it. This is what's gonna come with it.
Starting point is 01:54:20 You can't knock the whole culture. This is where we come from. But what they gonna do about it? That's kind of what I took from the post. What they gonna do about it? That's kind of what I took from the post. What are they going to do about it? Who's they?
Starting point is 01:54:27 I don't know. Whoever they are. Anybody with a problem. Anybody who got a problem with that. He's up 300 M's. Hopefully he invests his money properly and stay up. And also, would you care? That's all he's saying.
Starting point is 01:54:40 Yo, whatever y'all talking about, I don't care. I mean, you care if your peers, but I doubt his peers is even thinking like that. So, no. When you have $300 million, your peer group is very different. It's changed. It's definitely changed.
Starting point is 01:54:55 So all the motherfuckers down here that are talking about the street shit, it's like... It's not true. Not necessarily. I've seen... All right. Your peer group changes at $300 million.
Starting point is 01:55:03 It changes, but these niggas be- Puff is not calling P, calling him a snitch. Master P is not calling him a snitch. Baby's not doing it. Fucking Pharrell's not doing it. Snoop, none of them ain't doing it. Coach K ain't doing it.
Starting point is 01:55:18 The Atlanta's not doing it. Who do y'all think is picking up the phone to call this very successful businessman a snitch? We just be throwing words around. So you don't think that he still has friends that live by, or people, or say Puffy would have some niggas from the house that live by any street codes.
Starting point is 01:55:42 You don't think, you just think they just, all the street niggas is no longer could come around and stuff like that. Cause you know, if like, that's like a street nigga come here with me. And I think that- I'm asking you a question. And I'm trying to answer it.
Starting point is 01:55:53 So you know what I'm asking already. So answer it. Thank you. Okay. I think that the street niggas at that level live by a different code than the ones that we keep referring to. Got it.
Starting point is 01:56:06 Okay. I've seen street niggas go into different buildings with their mans and say how they feel to other niggas. I've seen it. So you still are subjected to ridicule in person. Do they have $300 million? No, but the $300 million. Do they have $500 million? The millionaire is affected because now he gets. I don't want to hear about the millionaire.
Starting point is 01:56:22 We're not talking about millionaires. I don't want to hear about no millionaire. The person that's about millionaires. I don't want to hear about no millionaire. The person that's being accused would be affected if my man came in here and told him you're a rat. I don't care about that part. That's what I'm talking about. What I'm saying to you is, do they have $300 million? No. What I started this podcast with about Al B. Al, what Parks and Ice started talking about with Dirk and that record with J. Cole and the kids
Starting point is 01:56:46 is changes and discipline. Got it. Maturity and evolution. And them niggas that everybody was scared of at some point start to learn that it costs money for people to be afraid of me. It costs money when I go bust my gun and let niggas know broad daylight i i i get it in
Starting point is 01:57:06 don't play with me blah blah blah you are losing money so you either gonna devote yourself to that or you not p for mad long now i sound like i'm caping has devoted himself god i agree to music i agree he lucked up to his family found lucked up. To his business. Found a group. Yeah, to his business. Found an investor, found a group that would go on to change fucking music. We don't put enough stock in what some of the men have accomplished that we be talking about. It's not easy. Who the fuck are you keyboard warrior niggas in the living room to say snitch? And I'm not saying y'all are wrong.
Starting point is 01:57:42 I'm a fucking civilian. But who, what now, what you gonna do? Nah you know the part that really you know the part that really really really get me about that shit though? Them same keyboard warriors put them in his shoes put them in his shoes y'all calling him a snitch the reports say he ran after the
Starting point is 01:57:58 nigga and shot at him too they not listen dog I digress hey think what you want. I'm a civilian. I have no horse in the race. Same. I have no horse in the race. Don't shoot at me.
Starting point is 01:58:10 Shout out to P. If somebody killed my brother and I have a description, I'm going to give that description to the police for that plan to run concurrent with whatever I'm doing. Yeah, y'all better find him before me.
Starting point is 01:58:20 That's my favorite line when it come up in the miniseries. Find him before I do. Yeah. Now, fun vibes. What else we got? It's fun. Anything fun? Who's going to tell me about they're asking Omari Hartwick to reprise
Starting point is 01:58:39 the role of Ghost? Oh, nah, I like this story. I didn't hear this. Ghost has, he's gonna go schools huh it's gonna be ghost ghost no slow down slow down ain't no role coming back Oh ghost has done it an interview where and I have it here where he's saying I was underpaid y'all know I've been waiting for the ghosty well maybe y'all don't know he's been saying the for a minute I've been waiting for the ghost tea. Well, maybe y'all don't know. He's been saying it for a minute.
Starting point is 01:59:05 I've been waiting for the ghost tea for a while. He's been saying it for a minute. So there's a few of them. But yeah, he said he was underpaid. He said he was making $150,000 per episode for power. And he said when he went back to try to, you know, they said, uh-uh. And that was how it was the end of it. But when they when they came back to negotiate and he sent his return, they didn't, you know, here to just be the perfect thing.
Starting point is 01:59:38 They asked me before to come back. They asked me in the last year and a half to come back when I was offered this. When I was in Boston reading this script, I was in Boston saying, okay, then this. And then the then this went to stars and then they didn't come back giving me what I wanted on the then this. So if they gave me the then this, if they give me, you know what I mean? Yeah. If you pay me my number number then I'll come back to work Yeah, you know the right that but you didn't pay me my number and a lot of times we get tricked with what we're making Right. He made a hundred and fifty thousand dollars a week. That sounds like a big number I've had network jobs where I made fifty grand per episode and that sounds like a lot
Starting point is 02:00:26 made 50 grand per episode and that sounds like a lot but if there's a cap on the episodes and then you take a vacation here he did 10 episodes 10 times 1.5 is I mean uh a buck 50 is what I heard I heard that's not much money I heard that before he was but he said um he he dressed it up he tapped tiptoed a little bit he was like um but when he started he he was broke like he said he he was broke like he said he had to borrow 20 grand for 50 cents some shit like i heard the whole interview a nice part of the interview so he was like but you know as you're moving along and like you're saying in the beginning that's a lot so you're gonna take that but as you're moving along we got the hottest show on tv you're seeing where i potentially should be making x but they only
Starting point is 02:01:04 paying me Y, because I'm getting still paid at the ground level. Now I want some more bread, and they don't be really, really, like Soprano, Sex and the City, they all went through that. They wasn't paying Tony Soprano. HBO wasn't trying to pay Tony Soprano.
Starting point is 02:01:18 Them niggas had the hottest show on TV. They did, but then they paid him. They did pay him. Then they paid every last one of them. And it took a long time to pay him. I don't know, I'd have to Google it. But then they paid him. They did pay him. Then they paid every last one of them. And it took a long time to pay him. I don't know. I'd have to Google it.
Starting point is 02:01:27 Very long. I remember. But they paid him. In this instance, they never paid him and Power went on for five seasons. Wasn't it six?
Starting point is 02:01:35 I'm not, or maybe more. Yeah, it might have been five or six. I'm not faulting 50 for that. I believe 50 every year he got on the internet and said,
Starting point is 02:01:43 yo, stars is fucking with me. I hate them niggas. I'm taking my shit. I believed him. So the same problem that Amari's experiencing, I believe 50 was that. I believe 50 every year he got on the internet and said, yo, stars is fucking with me. I hate them niggas. I'm taking my shit. I believed him. So the same problem that Amari's experiencing, I believe 50 was experiencing.
Starting point is 02:01:49 I believe that. No, I ain't blaming 50. I don't, I thought, he said he was so broke that 50 had to loan him money. Yeah,
Starting point is 02:01:55 that's the beginning. But like six seasons later, like you, as an actor, you're incentivized by the fact that your performance and the ratings, you know what I the ratings, that's the incentive for the contract to be renegotiated every single season. I agree.
Starting point is 02:02:12 It would shock me if at season six, he was making $150,000 an episode. That would be shocking to me. Why? Because that's a very low number. shocking to me. Why? Because that's a very low number. In terms of like the popularity of the show,
Starting point is 02:02:29 the ratings, I mean- Y'all gonna learn about this entertainment shit. No, I know. I feel like, not to make it racy, but I feel like-
Starting point is 02:02:38 These white people are looking at numbers back there and we see your offer. You're asking for more than the 1.5 million you make a season, you're our lead. Let's say now you want, just make up a number, three, four, four, four, and you deserve four.
Starting point is 02:02:52 What a job you've done. But I do have a plan B, C, and D. And in those plans, I have the little kid who only wants 200,000. I have like, it's the numbers. It's numbers back there. Hey, I loved you. I wish we could work with you. But no. Do I like it's the numbers. It's numbers back there. Hey I loved you I wish we could work with you.
Starting point is 02:03:06 But no. Do I think it's fucked up? Yes. Because they do it to black people all the time. Yeah. Do it all the time. If they bring it back
Starting point is 02:03:13 that shit gonna go it's gonna go. Now I wonder if he should have bailed when it was tougher to kill him out of the story.
Starting point is 02:03:25 That's why I think what happens is... He tried to do it as leverage. I think niggas be loyal to a certain extent. And so you won't necessarily want to just be like, yo, fuck y'all, I'm playing hardball. While I'm fish grease hot, y'all got to renegotiate me. You think that somebody going to do right by you maybe at the end of the three years.
Starting point is 02:03:43 You know what I'm saying? Or at the end of the term, and they they may not and so now they start making potential changes so that if we don't work out with him he gone yeah we gotta out yeah you get what i'm saying like that's yeah but i think all entertainers should now adopt what the athletes are doing which is mid contract in the middle of this contract right now when y'all need me most, nah, I'll stay home. Charge me. I'll pay it because it's expensive, but it's worth it. I think entertainers need to start doing the same thing.
Starting point is 02:04:12 I do it all the time. I do it all the time. Using their status as leverage. But not just your status because that's built in arrogance and ego. No, continuity of the story. Where they are. That's the position. Where they are. Fuck me the position. Where they are.
Starting point is 02:04:26 Fuck me, and I'm so great and I'm so big, you must do what I say. It's where they are. It's tough to write me out when they are in season three when the building's on fire
Starting point is 02:04:36 and ghosts and 50 is like, all right, now this conversation, hey, Lamar Jackson. Perfect. Y'all built a whole team around me. I think I'm not disagreeing with you. I just think that in the entertainment business is new to me, as we all know.
Starting point is 02:04:51 I'm just thinking that a lot of times from what I've heard, and especially in the motion picture business, they'll blackball you, though. Like you do some shit like that. They label you hard to work with. You won't work again. You get what I'm saying? Like they'll do some shit like that to where, all right, you did that to who? All right, cool.
Starting point is 02:05:08 Stay there. We'll see. We'll see. We'll see where your numbers fall. I mean, we'll see where your next job come from. Well, yeah. If I try to pull my black ball move with Lucian or Jimmy Iovine, then those people can put a mask.
Starting point is 02:05:22 They can step on some shit. If I'm just fucking over fucking Joe Schmo from up the street, the industry may not look at that the same way Joe Schmo don't have that power. Doing that with stars, please, please, I would've handled stars. Stars just got, I'm the reason you got popping.
Starting point is 02:05:38 See, that's the thing. These shows that we be talking about and these people be going to platforms that have very little going on and then they build them up. We build them up, build them up, build them up. And then when they get built up you start talking to us like shit. But no, that's too common. It's too common.
Starting point is 02:05:54 Too common. Sometimes in the beginning though, you be so eager to get on. You're not thinking like that. You're just glad that you have this opportunity. I don't think people look to the future. I don't think so. I think that you think people are going to do right by you like we came up together.
Starting point is 02:06:09 Their business is often short-sighted. We didn't know stars before 50. We knew it. There was nothing there to make us go. Exactly. Niggas was looking forward to that music every Sunday. Being rich time.
Starting point is 02:06:24 Once we up now, you thinking that, yo, we rose together. We're going to get a couple dollars. Y'all going to see my value because everybody see my value, right? And then they say, nah, we see your value, but we got other options. No, we up now. We can do it without you. Yeah, we got other options. We can do it without you.
Starting point is 02:06:39 Listen, man, shout out to Ghost. I wish we could have got another one. What? And the way the snowfall ended, it really has made power snowfall a real conversation. Huh? With the way the snowfall ended
Starting point is 02:06:53 on such a high and such a great glorious note, it doesn't make it so egregious when someone tries to compare snowfall and power. Power? Power. Ghost power. Snowfall and power? Power? Power. Ghost power. Snowfall and power? Yes.
Starting point is 02:07:08 Parks. I'm with Parks. I'm with Parks. I'm with Parks. Power was five. Wait, hold on. Wait, what? Which one are you
Starting point is 02:07:17 thinking about? He's saying snowfall clearly. He's saying power doesn't even belong in the same conversation. No. No.
Starting point is 02:07:23 You guys are wild. Snowfall conversation is what Parks is saying. Not even in this. The first couple of seasons of Power? I ain't talking about the whole show, though. You can't say the first couple of seasons. You can't say that.
Starting point is 02:07:32 Did you guys say Snowfall had a bullshit season with tigers and lions? One. One. And I really liked that season. And even in that, there were still good episodes. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. I shitted on that season. We did.
Starting point is 02:07:41 I definitely did. I'm not mad at what y'all are saying. I may even agree. I'm just not ready to dismiss the people that on that season. We did. I definitely did. I'm not mad at what y'all are saying. I may even agree. I'm just not ready to dismiss the people that have that debate. They killed Angela, nigga. It used to be a debate that got laughed at, but I don't think it gets laughed at no more. I think it gets laughed at more now. That's comedy.
Starting point is 02:07:57 I think it gets laughed at even more. Who killed the Tommy? All right, maybe I'm stupid. What really makes it a conversation is you got people that feel like Flip, and you got people that feel like y'all, which validates the argument. Y'all think Snowfall by far. I never saw Snowfall, though. I'm so phony. He's fucked your whole shit up.
Starting point is 02:08:18 Yo, this hate you, yo. No, that's my man. We really do hate you, though. Watch your mouth. No, he a man, but he hate you. He don't really fuck with you watch your mouth nah he a man but he hate you don't really fuck with you like that yo
Starting point is 02:08:27 that's two stop three up going off what else what else what else what else Rihanna and ASAP
Starting point is 02:08:35 Melissa was really happy to come in here and tell us about their baby's name apparently they named him RZA podcasters say apparently for anything
Starting point is 02:08:43 no they named him RZA no no you gotta say apparently just in case. Yeah, I don't want any fucking smoke. Facts. No, no smoke. No, you did want some smoke before the pod started, but you backed off it. You know what?
Starting point is 02:08:56 You just keep blowing up the fucking spot. If it didn't happen on camera, it didn't happen, gang. That's a fact. I ain't ish. That's a fact. That's a fact. I ain't this. That's a fact. That's a fact. Yeah, so they named him after RZA. Oh, you're not even going to tell them about the little...
Starting point is 02:09:14 Oh, fuck. You're not going to tell your co-hosts nothing? Nope. Tell us. Nope. No. Word? Nothing.
Starting point is 02:09:20 She really don't fuck with us. You see that? No, no, trust me. This has nothing to do with you guys. It has everything to do With self fucking preservation No Give us a hint
Starting point is 02:09:29 No Give me a little hint A little hint H-I-N-T She said I didn't say anything She said I didn't say nothing
Starting point is 02:09:37 Alright somebody said something Did you happen to I didn't say Did you happen to see Any clips I don't know The Beyonce performance She said yeah
Starting point is 02:09:46 I saw a couple clips I asked him What he thought About her wardrobe What do you think About her wardrobe Mel I loved it He asked me
Starting point is 02:09:53 What I thought About the show Move him right along We just talked About the show And her wardrobe And stuff Well
Starting point is 02:10:02 Just know Whatever she had To say about the show When she was finished I said You just know whatever she had to say about the show when she was finished, I said, you sure? You sure you want to say that today?
Starting point is 02:10:10 They made a whole show called Swarm about what happens. Mm-hmm. Apparently she dissed it. They can't wait to get in your car. Who did?
Starting point is 02:10:18 Beyonce. What? Apparently there was a little shot she took at Swarm. Mm-hmm. Oh, okay. She didn't Mm-hmm. Ooh. Oh. Okay.
Starting point is 02:10:26 She ain't like that shit? What is it? Meaning like my fans aren't like that? Yeah, the fans. My fans aren't crazy. And you're kind of using my shit without paying me. Pay me. Beyonce tour projected to be the highest, highest grossing tour ever.
Starting point is 02:10:41 $2 billion. I'm sure. Tickets sells alone. She's had a 2.1 bill. She's had a million. That's just tickets. Just off the tickets. Beyonce.
Starting point is 02:10:53 What is there to live for when you got that type of power? Legacy. That's it. Blue Ivy. Roomie and Sir. Start having your name. Two billion in a year.
Starting point is 02:11:02 Start having your name on the buildings that last for last 400 years. Streets and roads and shit. Yeah. God bless. But Hov, listen, y'all playing. That nigga Hov.
Starting point is 02:11:13 Hov National Bank. Let me tell you about that Sean Carter boy. Casino joint? Yeah, but yes. But how he has been leading up and setting himself up politically outside of that Roger Goodell football shit, outside of his endorsement of Eric Adams, his Obama endorsement, he has been setting himself up just for, so when I picked up the paper and saw Jay-Z wants to bring Caesar's Palace to Times Square. The crazy.
Starting point is 02:11:49 The four floors in this building, they showed a picture. I know what that's going to be like hitting the elevator. It says Jay-Z's partnership, they're using the right word, with Caesarars is petitioning to bring this to Times Square. They expect to gross this amount over this amount of years. They're going to donate this amount of money to the Broadway plays. He playing big time ball. Wow, Beyonce. It just so happens to me.
Starting point is 02:12:24 You go do all that highest grossing. You go shining, shining, shining, shining. All of this money. All of this money. All of this money. Shining, shining, shining, shining, shining. All of this money. You know how crazy it's going to be?
Starting point is 02:12:42 All of this money. Casino. Times Square. Times Square, bruh. You know how crazy it's going to be? All of this money. Casino. From Times Square. Times Square, bruh. You know how crazy it's going to be? Finally, get those dirty ass skateboarders out of Times Square. More crazy. Oh, my lord.
Starting point is 02:12:54 Yo, chill. No, they're not. No, they're not. It's going to be safe. You drive by Times Square now, it's niggas dancing, and a skateboarder come throw mud on your car. Hey. This is why they got them fucking robots.
Starting point is 02:13:10 I'm just saying they focused on music. Hov, Hov, Hov catalog sound real different when you listen to it now, paired with the things he's doing. It sounds nuts. That shit sounded different since the Barclays. Selling clothes. I had 1% of a team over here.
Starting point is 02:13:23 I tried it. This stupid ass hip hop. You know what's so great? You saw the transition. You saw it gradually and transitioned. What made Hov great was he told you about it before it all happened. That's what made it great.
Starting point is 02:13:36 He took my Scooby Doo's and then told you in the same freestyle, when this happens I want you to go back and look to this as a prophecy. And that's what makes us really misogynistic this was our Beyonce top change clothes well we know that she wouldn't be what she was if it no I'm joking oh everybody clear the room that was not Joseph Anthony Budden Jr. The Parks had nothing to do with it. Starting point is 02:14:30 I'm sure that's probably sold out. That shit is sold. Maybe you had to do some L shit. Going to be in the Oculus or something? That would be a nice show to go to. When Hov had his B-Sides concert, that was the first time I hit him and asked for tickets because that was important But I don't think I would have asked for tickets

Pod fans know more about the podcaster potentially than other forms of art. Pod fans can learn from the pod, be entertained by the pod, dislike the pod at times.
Starting point is 02:28:24 Pod kids think they nigga's weird. Pod kids think they know everything and try to tell Podcaster what is going on, and in the end, they don't know shit. Starting point is 02:41:27 Melissa? My track is called Love Blind by Kay Roosevelt. I got your wooden mind I had to take some time I had to keep my mind You had me love blind How does it feel? Not for real Still got me love blind
Starting point is 02:42:06 Ain't here too long, girl, I leave soon Got some time, finna spend it with you In the night when it fades to blue All over me and I'm all over you Till the daylight glows through Quiet Quiet morning still covered in dew Golden eyes stick like glue The times I put up with you can't be the moon All day long don't know how many hours Caught in a loop I'm succumbing to her superpowers I'm into you Skin is so soft She got me too hot, girl let it cool off I couldn't run away from the long day Four play sets waste all day

Starting point is 02:43:45 Love blind. K. Roosevelt. Pastor Maya, I texted the park. Oh, you did? Here, I got you. Yeah. All right, that was our show for the day. Listen, man.
Starting point is 02:43:55 Yo, yo. I want to thank you. Yo, yo, what are you doing? Hey, yo, you ready or you want me to do it? I got you. My sleep. It's good. Stop, stop.
Starting point is 02:44:04 Flip your dials. You it? I got you. My sleeper. It's good. Stop, stop. Flip guitar. Oh, shit. You ready? Yeah, man. Oh, yeah, my sleeper from, you know, a girl named... Y'all been so great today. Yo, stop, man.
Starting point is 02:44:15 Stop. All right, I'm sorry. I'm sorry. My sleeper's from a girl named Rocky. Red Flags. Shout out to her. Yeah. Red flags. Shout out to her. I know. I should've known from the jump but I trusted you
Starting point is 02:44:47 Red flags, gotta do what I gotta do Used to be the one I hit up later Screamin' loud I wake up all the neighbors I be sippin' while you roll the papers I was loyal, thinking you would stay faithful I was caught up in the moment But it feels so good when I'm on it You don't realize you're down when you're looking up Had me doing stupid things out of love Shame I didn't see it Still wouldn't believe it You the type nigga wanna cuff me up
Starting point is 02:45:20 And then hide it like a secret You niggas wouldn't be shit without a real bitch Don't suck it in defensive when it's a real shit Not missing what it was, it's whatever it is I know I ain't the same, but you're selling your friends Red flags Should've known from the jump, but I trust that you Red flags
Starting point is 02:45:40 Gotta do what I gotta do Remember, doesn't mean for me That's Red Flags by Rocky Red flags. Gotta do what I gotta do. Remember. That's Red Flags by Rocky. Shout out to Rocky. Shout out to Rocky. Shout out to Rocky. We didn't touch on sports. And I know it's difficult to try to talk about sports when it's not released to a day after the game we're speaking about.
Starting point is 02:46:02 Yeah. when it's not released to a day after the game we're speaking about. I want to shout out to the Knicks and say I'm proud of them for not getting smacked by 30 on their home court in game five, going out with a little bit of class. I'm saying going out because I do believe the series to be done, but I'm hopeful. I'm hopeful, and I'm still rooting for my guys. But listen, this playoffs, I'm not going to lie to you.
Starting point is 02:46:25 The TV schedule, let me tell you what the TV schedule is. Game six for the Knicks is tonight. If they win, let's force a game seven to be played Sunday. Wait, Sunday? Yes, every other day now. Game one of the Eastern Conference Finals is Tuesday. Game two is Thursday. Game two is Thursday. Game three is Saturday.
Starting point is 02:46:50 Game four is Monday. There is no three-day break or two-day break between these games. So, Ice, when me and you was talking over there and you talking about how Philly looked, it's a problem for me that the TV schedule is like this, the injuries. We don't. This is not. This is not.
Starting point is 02:47:09 This is. But they got to do what they got to do. It's a business. Hopefully, Miami has the same problem with their players. And we could force a game seven. But if not, I do hope that they change the TV schedule next year or just put more consideration to the players and their bodies. Think about that. And the product you're putting on the floor.
Starting point is 02:47:28 A Friday night game and then the Sunday game be Sunday like 1 o'clock. So that ain't even a full, you know what I'm saying, 48 hours of rush. You right back at it. That's what I'm looking at for the Philly game. But think about it when you travel. They're not even adding a day for the travel no more. Luckily, most of the teams are East Coast. You know what I'm saying? There's really no Midwest teams. I don't want to fly from Miami to New
Starting point is 02:47:50 York with one day practice play. I'm just saying, imagine if... It could be worse. You know what I'm saying? Imagine if Golden State Lakers is both in California. You know what I'm saying? So it's not that long of a flight. Dog, imagine if it was like a Midwest team
Starting point is 02:48:07 and an East Coast team. A Chicago-Miami. Denver-Phoenix? Yes. Not for that. That's not that far. Like I said, Chicago-Miami. Chicago-Miami.
Starting point is 02:48:14 Chicago-Miami. Or Toronto-Miami. Talk to me about how you feel about each of your teams. I think the Sixers should debate. I mean, I get what you're saying about TV schedule and all of that hopefully going into game 7
Starting point is 02:48:28 it'll be a little different because we do get two days but they were supposed to win that game they were supposed to win the game like they fought all the way back twice
Starting point is 02:48:36 twice played great defense was down 16 twice couldn't make a bucket couldn't go to their cell that last three minutes or so just I literally watched and beat it hard and quit on a
Starting point is 02:48:48 play Christopher Cole and it was it was once once uh once Tatum called well no once he once he hit that second three in a row it was like they just gave up oh he's hot now fuck it like yeah I had Y'all had it. I don't think going into a hostile Boston for game seven, you asking a lot. You asking them to win the third game in Boston. Could happen. It could. I'm just. It could.
Starting point is 02:49:18 I don't close the door on it. Game seven is game seven. It is. It is. The Knicks could win in seven, but am I hopeful about that? I'm not. Nah. We'll see.
Starting point is 02:49:27 Like Miami's a jump shooting team. Hopefully this TV schedule wears on those legs and they can't get all the way up. Pause. To get the shot up. We'll see. Either way, I'm watching that game. Win or lose, I'm really happy with the team's performance, the season that they had. And I'm proud to be a fan.
Starting point is 02:49:48 Thank you, Jalen Brunson. Salute. Jimmy Butler. I had two tickets to that last game. My baby wasn't feeling good, and the tickets I had was right behind the heat bench. Boy, you lucky. Boy, you lucky. I love when I'm behind the opposing team's bench.
Starting point is 02:50:05 It's so much fun. And if they get a game seven, I'm there. Sing up the whole baby. Talk to me while you're throwing up. One, you're like a dream come true. Two, just want to be with you. I'm going to see that Nick game. There are games to see.
Starting point is 02:50:34 Shout out to the Knicks. Ish, I could have told them that Anthony Davis was playing no matter what. I don't care what they were saying. How you feel? Same way. All right. You can't count Golden State out because it's Golden State. The scariest team, damn near, in the whole NBA. You know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 02:50:50 Because they could score in bunches and you never know what you're going to get. But if AD plays, I think we good. If he don't play, we're going to get ran out the gym, I think. Okay. Nice. Any last words in the event that- That what? Oh, that nothing.
Starting point is 02:51:07 Y'all got another game anyway. Yeah, we got two games to go. Any words of encouragement for those guys? We don't have two games. Close that shit out, man. No, we got to close it up. Because you don't want to go back to Golden State no matter what. Ever.
Starting point is 02:51:19 Nope. Okay. I don't even want them niggas to look at the bag. Kiss it, kiss it, baby. Oh, man. Really good show today, you guys. Thank you for your time, your energy, your patience on this beautiful, amazing day. Shout out to the first and last time listeners.
