Starting point is 00:11:27 is the point of the signature? No one's going to ask for the signature. Like, what the fuck am I doing that for? So someone's running around with two of my sweaters and I don't like that.
Starting point is 00:11:35 It's definitely yap season. It's yap season. Look at the holidays this year. Someone needed the bag and its content more than I. The fucking Delta people on the phone

Starting point is 00:17:04 and the city does not want to be conquered, they would hate him. Talk about the whites again. But if the prince pays criminals to kill cows, burn barns, smash windows, set things on fire, the people will panic in fear and cry out for help. And the prince will come in, get rid of the very criminals he bribed to create the problem. Nobody will know the better for it,
Starting point is 00:17:24 and everyone will praise the better for it and everyone will praise the prince as a hero so it's good marketing you create the need and fill it you go around the back of the house and set it on fire then you go around the front of the house and sell them a fire extinguisher and they'll pay anything for it and even thank you for being there so it's called machiavellian, where you create or capitalize on a crisis to consolidate control. That's what they did to my bags. And my sweaters.
Starting point is 00:17:54 A couple other people did that too. They created a need and a void, and now I gotta go feel it again. I think the FedEx guy got me. Starting point is 00:24:56 from the pod being there? Did they call you on stage and be like? Nah, I was in the cut. They didn't see me. I talked to a couple
Starting point is 00:25:04 of the dudes though that that that fuck with it i said that like he got a little inside yeah he has some inside intel i know it's like the lie he like to tone it down that's why i just asked i don't know how he do were you a celebrity that night yes we got the pause we got him yeah yeah kind of i mean um are you taking pictures and shit with people? Yeah. They was coming over to you like, yo, I love y'all, blah, blah, blah. And then I talked to a couple of the castmates that said they fuck with us.

Starting point is 00:26:07 Being a podcast Superstar It was dope though Did you envision us up there Body and shit I really did Huh I did
Starting point is 00:26:14 Come on speak to it No I like Get in your bag Stay in your bag It was the Javits It was I think it held like 3,000 people
Starting point is 00:26:21 Oh wow Good for them So The sound was a little off. Y'all need to touch that up. You couldn't really hear that well, but I like the way they set it up. Like, they had it set up,
Starting point is 00:26:31 all the seats in the middle, then at intermission and throughout the broadcast, you could go to individual booths. So everybody that was on the panel had their own people selling their merch and shit. And the way it was set up,
Starting point is 00:26:42 it was dope. Then they had an intermission in which they shifted around a couple seats seats so let's say hypothetically it was us up there right and you substitute me and maybe Imani will come right for the second panel you get what I'm saying and then they had three panels in which they interchanged a few of the pieces okay and then different people came up to give different advice they had like a Q&A oh this nigga was in there taking notes. Word.
Starting point is 00:27:07 He was in there stealing signs. Nah, it was dope. That was my first time ever doing that. Again, when y'all went on tour, I ain't used to coming to y'all tours like that. Wow. It was new for me. Oh, shit.
Starting point is 00:27:18 I want to fucking with you. Then he going to end it with a diss. Word. That's a diss. Okay. When y'all used to be killing shit, when y'all had all them sold out shows, I never came to end it with a diss. Word. That's a diss. Okay. When y'all used to be killing shit. I really fucked with it. When y'all had all them sold out shows, I never came to bother with that shit.
Starting point is 00:27:28 But these niggas are time for some talk or whatever the fuck it is. A time for talking. Want to sit in a circle and get you out there. You're my friend in real life. How does your girl respond to you now being a celebrity? Because she was with you from the start. That's a good question. Did she take pictures for you?
Starting point is 00:27:46 No. Okay. No. I got to ask her. I think she likes it in a sense, but then she don't like it in a sense. Because she's got to take pictures. Like, I guess it depends on where we are. Okay.
Starting point is 00:28:00 You know what I'm saying? Like, I know when we were away, it was kind of flattering. She was like, oh, shit. Like, we're in a whole other country or different countries, and people coming up to you taking pictures. Like, sure, sure, sure, I'll take it. But so I guess it's flattering to her. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:28:13 I ain't really asking. I'm going to ask her, though. That's a good question. Seriously. You should ask. Nah, I am. Yeah. About how your current status affects your partner.
Starting point is 00:28:20 Nah, I am. I'm going to ask her. A little checkups here and there. Big freeze in the building, huh? What's happening, y'all? How you feeling, man? I'm good. I'm asking. A little checkups here and there. Big freeze in the building, huh? How you feeling, man? Good. I feel great. Good. Hoping I feel great at the end of the pod. A couple sick motherfuckers in here with me. Oh, man.
Starting point is 00:28:33 I know you said you had some other shit going on with your jaw, right? Your alignment made me off. You said your jaw was... Wait, what did you say? His jaw realigned some shit.
Starting point is 00:28:49 No, he said his jaw was realigned. It's growing. No, it's growing. His jaw's growing. No, tell him what happened. Because what happened to your jaw? Fuck you. You said your first...
Starting point is 00:29:02 I never even heard that complaint before. Nigga came to work talking about my jaw's hurting. I said, no. I was like, whoa. I never even heard that complaint before. Niggas came to work talking about my jaws hurting. I said, no. I was like, whoa. Hey, yo, fam. I said my teeth are hurting. Oh, I heard it different. When you say my teeth is hurting.
Starting point is 00:29:14 I'm sorry. No, I heard jaw. Yeah, I definitely heard my jaw. My jaw is hurting. I'm with you, dog. I was like, oh, you had a wild weekend. Y'all ain't shit. You was being a cunnilingus?
Starting point is 00:29:22 Writing that down. All right alright so why is your jaw it's not my jaw hurting but you said your jaw got restructured right no I said you got the new set
Starting point is 00:29:33 of Invisalign I can't even fucking talk I cannot talk no I said with the way that the treatment works or whatever you hear him I'm trying my hardest No, I said, with the way that the treatment works, whatever. You hear him?
Starting point is 00:29:48 I'm trying my hardest. He trying to bring the Invisalign sling in it. The way the treatment. Nigga, what's up with your jaw? Don't tell me about no treatment. Is your jaw cool to pod or not? Invisalign treatment. I had to or not? Invisalign treatment. I had to put my new
Starting point is 00:30:07 Invisalign. Nigga, can you pod? Of course I can pod. I'm here to pod. I'm here to pod. Cool. I would call out if my jaw just moved to my face. That's like some cerebral palsy shit. Oh, man.
Starting point is 00:30:25 And last but certainly not least, my main man, P-Class. Yep. Parks is here, man. Chilling, man. How was your weekend? How was your party? It was good, man. It was good.
Starting point is 00:30:33 I'm sure my neighbors are pissed at me. We were loud. We were rambunctious. I had my friend come down. He owns a farm upstate, and he grew some pot marijuana, and he brought down quite a bit of it. He also knows some other farmers in the area, and he brought some mushrooms,
Starting point is 00:30:48 some hallucinogens, and everyone seemed to indulge. Nice. So it was an interesting night. What time it end? Because y'all parties be different. Five, six, something like that. These niggas don't stop, y'all.
Starting point is 00:31:01 I be so mad when I miss a good Parks party. It was lit, too, because it was like people like, I've never done mushrooms before, but it was a vibe in there. We're chilling. So everyone, like first-time mushroom users, all this shit, we just wildin' out. Nobody awkward? Nah, it was great.
Starting point is 00:31:15 I don't have time in my life. You were saying first time, you know, some people get. Yeah. All right, that's good. Parks friends don't really be awkward. No, I'm saying he said a lot of first-time mushroom users. Sometimes people don't really, you know, if it's the first time, they might tweak out a little bit. Well, if you're in a safe space. I'm saying, he said a lot of first-time mushroom users. Sometimes people don't really, you know,
Starting point is 00:31:25 if it's the first time, they might tweak out a little bit. Well, if you're in a safe space. That's like a Tylenol for him. And his friends. Them niggas pop that shit. Call when the special K break out. Call when the wild drugs
Starting point is 00:31:38 start coming out. Mushrooms is just like a party hors d'oeuvre and shit. Yeah, we basically had someone walking around with the plates of weed and mushrooms, and it was nice. Oh, that was lit. Yeah. All right.
Starting point is 00:31:50 Well, Corey's here. Poe is here. Erickson is here. 45-minute intro. Fuck y'all. I ain't got no bag. I ain't got no luggage. I got no sweater.
Starting point is 00:31:57 I'm here to talk today. All right. What's going on? What is heavy on you guys' minds and hearts and spirits? Mel, you had something you wanted to start with? I did? Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:32:08 Remind me. You sent me a clip. Oh, yes. Okay. Sorry. We were like, we were all over the place. So I saw this thing on Instagram, you know, and... Well read.
Starting point is 00:32:22 And it got me to thinking, it's directed towards you guys so i was going to ask you guys a little bit of a clip as to who your tribe is and there's a little bit of a description in the clip okay let's get into parks and that men do to ruin hello seven that men do to ruin their lives is that they don't keep a brotherhood of like-minded men around them. They don't have a band of brothers. They're not part of a tribe. The thing that men do that really ruins their life is that they live like an island.
Starting point is 00:32:55 You act like a lone wolf. You are not meant to be a lone wolf. You are not meant to be an island. You are meant to find like-minded dudes who share your core values. Because if you're like're like dude these are my core values these are my non-negotiables this is how I roll in life I'm an extreme unreasonable impatient motherfucker that wants to make a lot of money be fit and jacked be self-actualized and self-disciplined and do a lot of good for humanity and I find
Starting point is 00:33:21 other dudes like that to connect with that that's my tribe. Can he shut the fuck up? That's my band of brothers. Yeah, enough of him. Enough of him with the beat in the background pandering to us. Getting intense. Yeah, come on, come on. You think that was pandering to y'all?
Starting point is 00:33:36 Yes. I think that beat and music selection was pandering to me, yeah. Okay, that's pandering though? Yes. Okay, that might be a little bit of emotional manipulation, but whatever. Okay, but... You know, there's pandering, though. Yes. OK, that might be a little bit of emotional manipulation, but whatever. OK, but, you know, there's a clip going around. I forgot where I saw it, but it speaks to how advertising, how all advertising and marketing is really based off of the white male psychology and it says that because those are the men that are approving the budgets green
Starting point is 00:34:10 lighting things or the men responsible for all the ads that we see they have to have a level of understanding before it even hits so when i hear that beat yeah that is kind of what i think of and that guy's voice the people that i encountered, they don't sound like that. Speaking of tribes, like the people in my tribe don't sound like a doof like him. Gotcha. They don't need a Nas beat in the background for the word, the good word. I don't necessarily know if he's the one that put the beat in the background. It might just have been him on a podcast and then somebody took the clip and then they put the music and blah, blah, blah and whatever else.
Starting point is 00:34:47 But I thought that what he was saying was kind of interesting and I was interested. Why were you pointing at me while the clip was playing? I was playing with you. Okay. I was just playing with you. You are sensitive today. You needed a pillow and all these things and shit. I told you I'm down.
Starting point is 00:35:00 You got an uplift? I've been victimized. I've been victimized. I feel your pain, bro. I've been victimized I've been victimized I feel your paper I've been targeted you were definitely targeted for sure I'm sorry about that
Starting point is 00:35:12 I should have worn my shades but anyway what do we think about what do we think about the content in the clip exactly so what he mentions is he talks about
Starting point is 00:35:18 you know a brotherhood of having core values and I thought that was interesting because I'm like do you guys even have discussions about
Starting point is 00:35:24 your core values with each other to see who... What kind of monsters you think we are? You don't see me with the artifice over here. Yo, it's too early in the morning. No, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. I want to preface this with saying this is genuine curiosity and be, listen, I've learned a lot from sitting in a room with a lot of men, you know, and finding out more about your lives, your lifestyles, your thoughts and that sort of thing. So I'm learning as I go along, you know, so this is me just with genuine curiosity, not shooting at anyone.
Starting point is 00:35:55 So and this is stuff that women discuss, you know, openly and often, you know, core values and that sort of thing, finding our sisterhood, our tribes and whatever else. So I wondered if you guys did that because you guys are very masculine men we do that's not true though like with guys everybody has a masculine and a feminine side or or characteristics and attributes so I got friends that I call when I'm when I'm down or when I need some encouragement or I need a pep talk I got friends that I call when I just want to shoot the shit about basketball or rap music or girls or whatever the case may be. But when you start to get older, men get a little bit more vulnerable. You get to really start showing your, you know what I'm saying? And I think the dudes in this room, they have no qualms showing their vulnerability to other men you get i'm saying like i think it's
Starting point is 00:36:47 a misconception out here that we are just this fucking solid rock statue that don't have any feelings or any softer side that's not true in some ways we are but not in in my opinion at least with the people in this room in social circles i feel like everyone's got their their crew their tribe or multiple tribes in my case i think i have a couple different tribes. You know what I'm saying? And yeah, we're stoic in life because as men, you kind of have to be, but I don't think we're like that in our friend circles. Speaking for me, anyway. I totally agree with what Parks and Ish said.
Starting point is 00:37:19 Yeah, like your tribe. My network is wide. My network is huge from pastors to firemen to therapists to some doctors to hood niggas to, like you said, whatever bucket you feel like you need to pull from, I feel
Starting point is 00:37:36 like I have that in all of my loved ones and my family and my friends. Yeah, exact same thing. There's days me and Ice will just sit on the phone and talk parent shit for an hour. You know what I'm saying? And then there's other days I could be on the phone with Ice
Starting point is 00:37:48 and we just talking hip hop shit or other shit. Like, it just depends on, and then even. Wait, wait a second.
Starting point is 00:37:55 If you talking to Ice on the phone for an hour, how is his jaw supposed to not, not work? He can't, come on. Start adding up
Starting point is 00:38:04 all these hours. Yeah, 20, and keep the call 20 minutes cap alright cut off time for my job maintenance but no like I got friends
Starting point is 00:38:12 that'll check me I got friends that'll check me on some shit like if I'm doing some bullshit I got friends that'll be like
Starting point is 00:38:18 yo you bugging or even in my business life I procrastinate a lot I got friends that'll be like yo dog lately you been on your bullshit
Starting point is 00:38:24 you know what I'm saying like yo let's get with it so we can get this money like you know we got that my business life, I procrastinate a lot. I got friends that'll be like, yo, dog, lately you've been on your bullshit. You know what I'm saying? Like, yo, let's get with it so we can get this money. Like, you know, we got that. And the other thing is, my tribe ain't all men. Like, oh, true. That's true.
Starting point is 00:38:35 It's women in your tribe, too, that will, like he said, hold you down, check you. My mom's is part of my tribe. You know what I mean? It's things that, if I need that person who I know knows me through and through, I will call her. You know what I mean? It's things that if I need that person who I know knows me through and through, I will call her.
Starting point is 00:38:48 You know what I'm saying? And I might get, am I bugging? Let me get your take on this. Like, you know, just, it ain't all, well, we all have that tribe, though. That's true. Do you guys know the lone wolf type, though, that he's talking about? Yes. Yes.
Starting point is 00:39:03 Yeah. I do. I know him. I haven't really encounter him. If you were far between. The lone wolves that I know, they aren't lone wolves by choice. Like their parents died.
Starting point is 00:39:16 Their family is in another state, country. Their road just has them. All right, it's me. All I have is me. But I'm sure they would like a tribe but a lot of times you can and I don't even use the word tribe
Starting point is 00:39:31 friends are chosen family though and I'm an example of that because you know my dad passed away a long time ago my mom recently passed away but I was alone in this country so I've had to find my tribe over the course of the last two decades. You know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 00:39:47 I've picked up a move twice. I've had to find tribes two times. It's probably easy to find a tribe that would have put some. That's probably true. Hey, y'all, hey, y'all, hey, y'all. Park tried jumping in relief. You got a dick.
Starting point is 00:40:02 It's true. I wouldn't exactly say. I'm talking shit. It's true. I wouldn't exactly say. I'm talking shit. Yeah, okay. I was going to say dynamics between women can sometimes be fraught with a lot of bullshit, so it's not that easy. Fraught, that's a good one. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:40:15 Word of the day. Now word of the day. Look at you chasing it now. Now you chasing the word of the day, though. It's fine. Actually, my whole weekend was like tribe. Dope. It's fine. Actually, my whole weekend was like tribe. Dope. That came full circle, but...
Starting point is 00:40:30 We had rituals as well. I didn't mean that. It was my aunt. It was my aunt's 70th birthday, Matt Lee. Happy birthday, Matt Lee. I love you. Happy birthday.
Starting point is 00:40:37 She looked nice, too. She is... No, it was lit. She is the youngest of 13 of my grandfather's siblings rest in peace grandpa and grandpa and grandma i love y'all uh and there's only seven of them left they all they all yeah i mean so it was good to have all of them there a lot of they did a lot we my family did a lot of fucking down there so it's cousins galore it's cousins galore so to be down there and to see just like
Starting point is 00:41:07 your cousins that you was six and seven with and now you've grown and you fucking everybody's got family you find like a lot of similarities with that like with family that you don't really be around did you see shit in them that you're like oh shit you are my cousin yeah no for sure no my family oh oh, my God. Listen, being down there, you learn about yourself, too, right? Back to tribe. Y'all think that I talk foul, and maybe I do on the internet to y'all people. I talk so mild compared to my family how all of them talk.
Starting point is 00:41:41 It's all, shut up, stupid. You left the fucking fucking your big dummy left the screen door open do you want you idiot like oh i'm home i'm home with people that are direct and blunt my my aunt katherine and my i haven't seen my family since my grandfather died in 2015 i want to say so not only is family different, the city, the town is different. But my Aunt Catherine is out there now and I'm just watching her remind me of my granddad
Starting point is 00:42:14 and just how they move, how they talk, how they treat people. Her house is now the centralized house, always been, but now that door is open. Aunt Catherine was on that stove all day. All day long.
Starting point is 00:42:28 I'm talking about like, if 70 people was coming in the house, there's food here for 70 people. I've never seen a fire so high as Aunt Catherine's. Greens. I was about to say, what'd she make? I want to live vicariously. Yams. Somebody got cursed out when they left
Starting point is 00:42:44 the yams in the fridge or some shit. That plate look all right though. And then was going to go make the yams real quick. Oh shit, I forgot the yams. You want me to make the, wait, that ain't oodles and noodles, but that shit was fly.
Starting point is 00:42:55 Went to my grandfather's gravesite. And not my grandfather's gravesite, the button gravesite over there. And just was, it's always chilling over there but like when you start seeing all of the history i'm looking at buttons from 1825 wow from they got it they got it traced all the way back so i'm in there pacing around trying to see where my ma's or liam gonna go right like hold up keep Keep a little soul up now.
Starting point is 00:43:25 That's where you want to be buried? Interred. Interred? Melissa. What? Stop trying to get mad words of the day off. Interred. Okay, sorry.
Starting point is 00:43:33 But I thought, well, being there made me think about it. Right? Because my grandfather went, but before he went, my grandma, they got the plots right next to each other. You know, you get the plots right next to each other you know you get the plots right next to each other and then Michael Paul's father who died
Starting point is 00:43:48 at 45 I didn't know that until I'm just looking at all of these dates and stuff he was 45 that's so young I'm like god damn
Starting point is 00:43:56 that's young but he's right next to them and I'm like yeah when I when it's time God knock on wood send me
Starting point is 00:44:04 send me to my people's shit. But that made me have a conversation with my mom. Yeah, sure. So as I'm riding one, I'm like, Mom, where is your mom buried? And she's like, the Bronx. I never do that. I never thought to ask. My grandma's in the Bronx.
Starting point is 00:44:21 I said, you want to go in the Bronx? She said, no, I don't want to go in the Bronx. I wouldn't put you in the Bronx. We said, you want to go in the Bronx? She said, no, I don't want to go in the Bronx. I wouldn't put you in the Bronx. Like, we need to get that together. These are really dope conversations to have.
Starting point is 00:44:34 The Bronx. So then she starts talking about like maybe cremation is a thing. We start having these conversations, but, you know, really good time over there
Starting point is 00:44:44 just with, you know, my time over there just with you know my brother telling me there's something it's a different sumter like you're trying to go out and you're trying to go out and kiki and have fun now but oh wait so you didn't go to the strip club no no i did not he told you once my brother told me yeah he's down there too huh it's been a few bodies it's been a few bodies it's up it's been a few bodies it's been a few bodies it's been a few bodies dropping down there rest in peace but i never seen my dad good to see my dad so happy and ecstatic he was so he drove down there i took a plane so he got his luggage still he drove he drove he drove down there and he couldn't have been more ecstatic to go and get a pig. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:45:26 Dog. My dad, speaking of men on islands that's stoic. I've seen it. My dad is like, if it ain't a spade game or a timeshare, he don't really care. He don't show emotion like that. Not at all. He ain't with none of that shit.
Starting point is 00:45:41 But he was hyped to go down there and get this pig. Said, Aunt Catherine got two pigs. They're going to keep one and a half. And I get a half a pig. I'm going to go clean the pig and gut the pig. And we're going to put the pig in the trunk. And I'm like, oh, country ho. Yes.
Starting point is 00:45:57 My man with the weed farmer just had to put down his pigs for processing. He was going through it. The mushrooms was therapy for him. See? processing he was going through it the mushrooms was therapy for him see that pig was good than a fuck oh man because mom's wing got the barbecue from some little white spot we're not gonna sit here pop got the real pig and overlook you niggas being sentimental over the pig his pig's like he's a farmer so they the pigs are like they clean they do work there they like clean the brush farmer so they the pigs are like they clean they do work there
Starting point is 00:46:27 they like clean the brush out and all that shit so like they were part of his tribe that pig was a good fucking pig and my dad was really happy
Starting point is 00:46:36 really really happy your father bringing some shank back to Harlem oh yeah my mom on her way over there right now to get some of that pig they not playing
Starting point is 00:46:44 now that I'm older down there, I realized that my great granddad had a lot more land than I knew about. Like a lot. Me knowing it was a bit. I feel like you mentioned before that they had a lot, but it's a lot more? It's more than I thought. And it's been a topic? It's more than I thought. Oh. And it's been a topic of discussion. I bet.
Starting point is 00:47:10 What, in terms of like retirement? I can't get into it. Okay. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That sounds like it could be some rival reasons. Thank you. Got it. Got it. Anyway.
Starting point is 00:47:19 I had a similar weekend. Oh, shit, and they moved my fucking favorite Piggly Wiggly. No! No! No! Not the Piggly Wiggly I grew up with. I used to walk that.
Starting point is 00:47:31 Oh, you had a bad weekend, man. They took your Piggly Wiggly. They took Piggly Wiggly. Uggs. Almost took the pig. Yeah, they got me. They got me, man. They got you, man.
Starting point is 00:47:40 Put a fucking Walmart up where Piggly Wiggly is. That is unfortunate. Dog in Sumter, South Carolina. That's unfortunate. Come on, man. Walmart is the Don Dobbins. It's just down for that shit.
Starting point is 00:47:49 I don't know what you're talking about. Yeah. It's just down for that shit. Dog, where my family from, the Walmart is the hangout. And you don't got shit to do, niggas go to Walmart three times a day to walk around. That's their social shit. It's the mall. With an outfit on.
Starting point is 00:48:00 We need the baby to go over there. Niggas get outfits. We got to send the baby over there to Walmart. You think I get out. We got to send the baby up there. Walmart is the shit down there. There's an IG page devoted to the antics at Walmart. There's also an IG page devoted to women taking care of their dogs. Oh, my God. Don't start with me, motherfucker.
Starting point is 00:48:20 Do not fucking start with me. I was going to say that I had a similar weekend to you where I saw my family tribe oh yeah I did it was my sister's birthday you have a sister I did so my I am my mother's only child but papa was a rolling stone so I'm the youngest of 11 yes damn oh he was rolling he was rolling yes like Tina Turner nine okay anyways anyways yes so I'm the youngest of 11 so I saw my sister it was her birthday and I saw nieces and nephews and great nieces and great great I have great great nieces like it's fucking insane and I was looking at all of our faces shut up I was looking at all of our faces and the genetics are the four genetics are strong but it was it was really, really wonderful.
Starting point is 00:49:07 Because like you, I haven't been able to see my sister since like 2018. I didn't see my niece since, oh my God, maybe a decade. Life just keeps life in. But this was, this was really fantastic. It was, it filled me up. That's a beautiful thing. I was in Buffalo. Yeah?
Starting point is 00:49:24 Big Buffalo. Yep. Buffalo, New York.. I was in Buffalo. Yeah? Big Buffalo. Yep, Buffalo, New York. I got family in Buffalo too. Yeah, so it was good times. Shout out to family, man. That shit's dope, man.
Starting point is 00:49:32 I like to see that. you posted, I thought you posting all that shit about your family, hearing you about yours, that shit inspired me. Yeah. Yeah,
Starting point is 00:49:40 getting around family in good times. And that's the thing. Not the funeral. When family can get together and it's not the funeral. Yeah, man. Because you know what happens at the funeral? Everybody say the same shit.
Starting point is 00:49:50 Yo, dog, yo, we got to start getting together. We got to start doing this. We shouldn't only be meeting under these circumstances. It sound good and nobody do it. For sure. So to hear that. Yeah, me and my sister and my niece, we sat down and we were like, this level of time like you
Starting point is 00:50:06 know this amount of time that passed in between us seeing each other this cannot happen we are all that we have left and it's just like I remember my sis when I was born I was my sister's baby doll like she literally acted like I was her baby and my niece and me were very much like sisters it's like very small age differences between us and you know so we started making plans for Thanksgiving and Christmas and a trip and stuff like that now now y'all are at the point where y'all could start the new tradition I've operated very much kind of like the lone wolf which is another reason why I wanted to ask you guys about that whole tribe conversation because a lot of times I have acted like a lone wolf and separated myself from my family and it has been to my own detriment and as I've gotten older I've started to feel like why did I do that you know
Starting point is 00:50:52 what I mean so I've had to like ask myself some really really hard questions and it's you know so being able to go back and see my family and and be welcomed with open arms like you like I never left was really like I think my spirit really needed it. You know, so I say all that today. Yeah, my family was extremely proud of me. They were just proud. That shit was dope. It felt good.
Starting point is 00:51:15 They was doing some karaoke shit. My aunt said, now, we're going to do Pump It Up. Your cousin's going to sing Pump It Up. All we need you to do is come up here and just hit us with a little two-step. We know you can't perform it because you've got contracts. That's so cute. That was cute.
Starting point is 00:51:34 Yeah, that's cute. So I went up there and did a little two-step. I told my aunt Catherine, listen, anytime you invite me over here to eat, I'm coming to eat. We do need to make more effort to see and spend time with our families. I got to see my fucking cousin. She brought a boyfriend. Oh, this was great. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:51:55 Yo, that'd be your favorite thing. When your cousin that you kind of the same age with bring a boyfriend to the family. Oh, she was feeding this nigga. And I said, hey, how long y'all been together? She's been a year and a half. I said, oh, girl. And you brought that nigga over here?
Starting point is 00:52:14 My family is the wrong family to do that. My family is the wrong family to do that. In a year and a half, nigga? You should not bring your significant other of a year and a half to the Budden slash Ramsey family function. That is a mistake. I mean, talk about how-
Starting point is 00:52:29 You think it'll run them off? Yeah, talk- The way that he said they talk. My cousin Brenda said, my cousin Brenda said, all right, cousin picture. Because you know they had an eldest picture where they got all the elders together. All right, cousin picture. All the cousins. They had the little ring shit.
Starting point is 00:52:41 All the cousins came together. Here she go. Her boyfriend want to follow. Follow. Oh, nah. Nah, they all my man, my man. Brenda, loud as hell. No, no, no.
Starting point is 00:52:51 Family. No, no, no. Cousins, I said. Alone, we want her. You go. You go. I'm like, Brenda, he right there. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:53:01 He like 6'4". I'm like, hey, come on, chill. Nigga, you ain't a cousin. You're not a cousin. Yeah, I don't know why. We can talk about that. She should have sat down. Nigga, next year you might not even be around.
Starting point is 00:53:13 You and I picture. I don't want to see none of my girl cousins feeding potato salad to their fucking boyfriend. Hey, man. Game is the game. Hey, man. My bad cousins are still bad. Hey, man.
Starting point is 00:53:24 Niggas in jail. There's some other shit happening I can't the game. Hey, man. My bad cousins are still bad. Hey, man. Niggas in jail. There's some other shit happening I can't talk about. It got real. Come on. What do we want to lend our opinions to? We here with opinions and hot takes. What's the most important of them all? Basketball season started.
Starting point is 00:53:41 We'll get to it. Come on. Is there anything music-based here? I see Rihanna's name there somebody's falling for the okie doke so it's the okie doke okay so everybody there's headlines that are saying you know that rihanna is got a inked a 32 million dollar deal with rock nation for two albums and a tour thank you i was wondering where the 32 million dollar number came from yeah i was like that sounds that's in her piggy bank and shit rihanna gonna sign a deal I was wondering where the $32 million number came from. From the billionaire purse.
Starting point is 00:54:06 Yeah, I was like, that sounds really low. That's in her piggy bank and shit. I think Rihanna going to sign a deal for $32 million to put out some music. That's the car wash money. Okay, so what's the purpose of sending this out into the ether? Like, somebody came up with this. Oh, man. Would you like me to tell you the point? Yes, please, go ahead.
Starting point is 00:54:21 Why somebody does shit like that? Yeah. And it just catches fire. That's why. And what's Rihanna doing right now? They got nothing to do with Rihanna. She didn't put that out. Okay.
Starting point is 00:54:31 Whoever did it, just come up with some bullshit and go put it out. Yo, they're going crazy over this dumb shit. That's crazy. That's the internet. Dog, I do not think we getting a Rihanna album no time soon.
Starting point is 00:54:43 I don't think we're getting one ever. I don't think we're getting one, dog. She came out. Go I don't think we're getting one ever. I don't think we're getting one, dog. She came out. Go back and listen to Anti again. There you go. There's your album. Yeah, honestly. And it's that good that you can, but she did the Super Bowl and didn't try to promote
Starting point is 00:54:56 nothing. Nothing. Not a single. Nothing. She just went right back to ASAP crib. So what? Don't just brush over that. Stop for a second.
Starting point is 00:55:07 Do you think that the people call that ASAP crib? Or her crib? They probably rotate If I'm the man in the house, that's my crib. I don't give a fuck. If I'm digging you down,
Starting point is 00:55:17 I don't give a fuck how much you make. That's patriarchy? No. That's real nigga-archy. There you go. There you go. Noah's RK. I'm not against all
Starting point is 00:55:29 people. You're not against RK? I'm not. Newsflash, a lot of women ain't either. Yeah. They my tribe. They my tribe. They like that shit. They do. Anyway. When you guys was spanking. I forgot what we was talking about just now.
Starting point is 00:55:46 Rihanna. Oh yeah, we're not getting a Rihanna project. We're not happening. I don't see it. What is the benefit of somebody
Starting point is 00:55:52 to even put that out? Should do some shows. The benefit of them doing it? 32 million, I'll give you three shows. Streaming though. Streaming only. And I'll give you
Starting point is 00:56:04 a little merch shirt. Damn. I don't even think we getting that I should have went to vocal classes when I was young or something 32 million
Starting point is 00:56:13 33 shows something light well you gotta earn I could have had skims out before Kim you know what I mean skish stupid y'all see that though what she's announcing skims for men You know what I mean? Skish.
Starting point is 00:56:25 Stupid, yo. Y'all see that, though? What? She's announcing skims for men. Genius. They just won't stop getting money, yo. What y'all think about it, though? I think that. Why give me some skims?
Starting point is 00:56:36 I'm not in the house to get some skims, yo. You gonna wear skims? Why give me a couple skims? Some of that shit looked all right. T-shirt. The T-shirt shit. That shit was all right. Suck your gut in.
Starting point is 00:56:45 No, no, no. There ain't no tight fitting. I mean, they have that too, but they got just regular shit. Maybe they got the skims invisaligned. Here we go. Get that jaw nice. For the jaw, yeah. Get that jaw fixed up.
Starting point is 00:56:56 You can't say the word jaw around men. That's what it is. Yeah, that's it. Yeah, you can't do that. You can't say a lot of words around us, to be fair. All right, so Kim Kardashian dropped skims for men. Melissa, is it all right if we get an ad deal? If we get a...
Starting point is 00:57:10 Oh, yeah. Is it okay? Can I go without you spazzing? Yes. I would love for that to happen. I would love for you to come in and start talking about your baddie wear. I am now an official baddie. I am wearing skims.
Starting point is 00:57:23 Yes, please do. Thank you. I would love that. You have your permission. We appreciate that. I would lovedie. I am wearing skims. Yes, please do. Thank you. I would love that. You have your permission. I would love that. I would love that. Man, I am a baddie without wearing skims. I don't think you really,
Starting point is 00:57:33 you don't really respect the niggas in here. You don't. You don't know who we be for real. I've been saying that for a few times. Well, I mean, I got an education seeing Mr. Slow Mo over here. So yes, I do see that. Mr. Slow Mo. I don't even really I do see that. Mr. Slow Mo.
Starting point is 00:57:45 I don't even really think that was education. It wasn't at all. I don't think that was education. I mean... That wasn't nothing. Okay. Well, I mean, educate me.
Starting point is 00:57:53 What am I missing? No, no, we can't do that either. No, I'm just saying, that wasn't... You guys are like, hey. Hold on now. We not them.
Starting point is 00:57:59 Don't clam up and claim humble now. She do think we them. Okay. No, we not. We don't move like them. We don't move like them. We don't move like them. They ain't going to sit here and...
Starting point is 00:58:08 It's cool. Yeah. I've accepted it. She do though. No. No, give me... Mel, I'm telling you this. Okay.
Starting point is 00:58:15 If the niggas on this couches were single... Mm-hmm. That's all I'm... Dot, dot, dot. Just take it wherever you want and take it. If the niggas sitting on these couches were single, I think your
Starting point is 00:58:29 perception of us would be different. And I'm gonna add, vastly different. I have never entertained the idea that you guys cannot attract a plethora of women.
Starting point is 00:58:44 Just by her saying it, she don't even really understand what we're saying. A plethora of women. Just by her saying it, she don't even really understand what we're saying. A plethora. Her response to that tells her she don't really know what we're saying. Hey, listen, I am consistently being educated while I sit here. T.
Starting point is 00:58:58 I already know what she would feel like if she got a glimpse of my shit. I seen how the Peruvian niggas was dancing around her. The Peruvian niggas had her Friday night to the moon. The fuck? Come on, let's talk music.
Starting point is 00:59:12 Let's get into hip hop. Hip hop, City Girls. What'd they say, 6,000? Yeah, 6 to 8,000. 6 to 8,000. I didn't believe that number. I thought it was like just sales.
Starting point is 00:59:23 I still don't believe it. I think that's, I think somebody put that out because you know the numbers be oh the physical sales yeah yeah i think somebody put that extremely low number out counting only the sales as like a jab at them i just can't see that happening if i'm wrong i'll be the first to tell you i'm wrong i don't see not saying that because i saw a lot of people saying yo there was no lead single. There's no hype. It was quiet. They cold,
Starting point is 00:59:46 which is all true. All of that's true. It was quiet. I don't know of an artist that signed to a major. They cold musically. Yes. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:59:54 Well, that matters. That matters. No, that matters. It matters, but not 6,000. Not 6,000 matters.
Starting point is 00:59:59 Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's why I'm like, I would have, if they would have told me the number was like, 20,
Starting point is 01:00:05 15, 19, 20. Yeah. I'm agreeing with that. I don't know of an artist that signed to a major that's doing 6,000. Especially with that kind of profile. Yeah. I just don't know of it. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:00:19 That would be shocking. I need to have that number confirmed. Still sounds unbelievable to me. I'm with you as far as how they counted that. Maybe the album. I think it was intentional to put that part out there. Yeah, because then who would even put that? Somebody was trying to hurt them during their release.
Starting point is 01:00:37 Yes. So is that also why there's the rumblings that they're breaking up as well? I don't know. I think those have been there. Yeah. I think those rumblings that they're breaking up as well? I think those have been there. I think those rumblings have been there. I'm not so educated
Starting point is 01:00:49 in my city girl, but with JT and Uzi, I think them rumors started because JT was all super, super in love. And I mean, I'm not trying to add to none of these rumors, but if you look at it today, like, Carisha's
Starting point is 01:01:04 pretty big. Carisha is pretty big. Yeah. She moving on. Carisha is pretty big. I don't think she cares at all with this album numbers. Her profile is her profile. She's established a profile outside of music,
Starting point is 01:01:17 which is what a lot of these newer acts are doing today. Like, yo, the music is the introduction. That's it. I'm not staying here. I have a plan to go over here, and that's where I'm going to make the money at because ain't nobody buying no albums anyway. And if they're in the 360, I mean, whoever is behind them ain't dropping them. No.
Starting point is 01:01:35 They ain't getting rid of them. True. This is not back in the day where your deal or your next effort was totally relying on what your album did. Like, these girls are valuable your deal your deal and all of that now or your next project is valued on your current profile and that's bigger than music yeah she just won the social was it social media hip-hop platform award for the BET Awards two years in a row big Two years in a row. Big Carisha? Like, her stock is high.
Starting point is 01:02:08 Ain't nobody dropping her. Carisha, come get my award, girl. Get my shit. That's it. I did see the alleged DM conversation somebody had with JT, and I don't believe any of that stuff. I don't believe none of that shit. Well, what did it say
Starting point is 01:02:27 for the people that don't know? It was just, oh, I can't stand that girl. Oh, wow. Stuff like that. It was like somebody having a back and forth. So then that must have been
Starting point is 01:02:34 when those photos came out from their listening party where, I mean, it's a photo so it's a split second in time but they captured what could be looked at as Karisha
Starting point is 01:02:44 like rolling her eyes at JT. And the distance in which... I mean, whoever's creating this campaign that they are on the outs with each other and it's a foregone conclusion that they're going to break up, I mean, it's gaining traction. That could be intentional, too. Because the sales might not be great, so let's stir up some shit that'll make people go check this shit out.
Starting point is 01:03:05 Exactly. I wouldn't be shocked by that being a tactic. Roll out. I hate to use your shit, but. Everything's gonna roll out. Yeah. I mean. Could be.
Starting point is 01:03:15 Again, every time I say that, I just look at the timing. You get what I'm saying? The album just dropped. We ain't heard nothing about them breaking up like this. We haven't seen text messages and all this type of stuff until after the album dropped right and it was a little bit quiet about that my question when that when stuff like that happens is why now and the only answer that makes sense is oh promo but again i i'm not believing that number back to them back to that i need to be more educated in my in my propaganda or rumors before I have a take on this.
Starting point is 01:03:50 I like them. I do think there'll be a void if there's a breakup between them. I don't. Me either. There's a lot of people that have. It's a bunch of new girls that have come into that space that are talking that same jargon. It's not even talking that same jargon. For me, they all do it different.
Starting point is 01:04:08 It's evolved a little bit. And that's the problem that they're having. I agree with you there. That talk has evolved a bit. But I think, you know me, I think all the girlies do it a little bit. They do. But what I'm saying, I say it evolved off of them because what they were talking, the average girl can't relate to. A couple was playing that game like they were talking.
Starting point is 01:04:31 The newer crop are speaking to the regular, like the average girl out there. It's like City Girls 2.0. Like now all of us relate to what they say. Can y'all speak to, why is it that when people become, when people attain a certain amount of success, they lose the ability to speak to the average everyday or relate to the average everyday person? They ain't average no more. I don't think so.
Starting point is 01:05:01 I think it's the contender. I think it's the person. Because some people have 50 Cent. I'm just throwing the name out. Right, and an example. This guy's the greatest. I just think that when 50 Cent talks,
Starting point is 01:05:17 he could still be relatable to the average street dude or the person of whatever life or path he's walked. I think they still relate to that. You think he's the exception? I understand what you're saying or a path he's walked I think they still relate to think he's the exception I understand what you're saying he's one of a lot of them he's one a lot of I don't count 50 cent for nothing yeah he's one of them um I'm just saying like one of one true it's like when for example like when Wayne had made some comments and people were highly upset
Starting point is 01:05:42 about it but it's like bro you're so far removed that you don't really understand what's going on at this level and that happens to a lot of people you grow you become you get a lot more money you experience in a different lifestyle yeah you remember to start to grind but now you
Starting point is 01:06:00 live this life so long that you you can't relate to this no more I think J. Cole is very rich and still speaks very every man. All right, sure. I think it depends on when you got rich. He's a great example of that. That's a really good one.
Starting point is 01:06:11 I think it depends on when. And be clear, I'm not even just, I know we talking music because that's what we do here, but when I ask that question, I'm thinking about the scope. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:06:20 Right? Athletes, everybody. Yeah, like when I went to NBC for whatever I was doing up there, there were rumblings that maybe Steve Harvey wasn't as relatable after he got his family feud bag and this bag and this bag. Right. He says he does say some shit that the common man would look at. Like, shut your ass up. Like we've had. Like there's a reason Maury Povich was in dressed in all that bullshit for all of those years yeah like
Starting point is 01:06:48 and Maury got it got it he got it got it but that would be distracting like let me just put this bullshit on
Starting point is 01:06:57 and be unassuming and the audience will all there's a value to that I hate that that happens for artists right like because we get in this shit to be successful, right?
Starting point is 01:07:07 Like the city girls by any metric is successful. Whether you're talking about romance with Uzi and Puff. Everything. Brand deals. They're successful all around the board. Shouldn't that, that should be the goal. It is the goal. It is the goal.
Starting point is 01:07:22 But you can't lose. Oh, go ahead. I was going to say, but there's the allure to, you know, for your music and artistry to reflect your comeuppance. You know what I'm saying? Your elevation. I think it depends on your demo. I really think it depends on your demo. I think that if you're a, let's say you're an R&B singer.
Starting point is 01:07:42 You don't have to, hip-hop is based around a certain aesthetic. Like, if you're an R&B singer, you could come out with a white t-shirt on and some jeans on and sing your shit and go back in the tub. If you're an R&B singer, Sans J. Cole, everybody else fits this uniform that quote-unquote
Starting point is 01:07:59 stereotypical rap acts have to portray. You gotta have a chain. You gotta have the watch. You gotta have a chain. You gotta have the watch. You gotta have all of those things. I feel like the theme, like the most basic foundational theme of hip hop is,
Starting point is 01:08:16 you know, we came from nothing and now we're something. And we're going to show, you know, in every way, shape and form, a reflection of what we have now attained through the grind. But you lose that.
Starting point is 01:08:27 But is that a double-edged sword? You do lose that relatability. Like, I read a book, and it was talking about, Pee Wee Kirkland was like the narrator in the book. We all know who Pee Wee Kirkland was, right? And so he's talking about when they tried to get, like, Jay-Z years ago to go talk to the kids Jay-Z is so rich that he's kind of lost his relatability to the average urban person because he's up up
Starting point is 01:08:54 billions of dollars so it's not something that we look at as attainable whereas if we had somebody that was up a couple hundred grand or up two or three million dollars then you look at that person like I could be them you don't look at yourself and say I could be Jay-Z unfortunately you get what I'm saying even though he's come from where we come from a lot of us or he's walked in uh shoes that a bunch of us have worn you don't look at that because he's so so rich that puff Jay um even 50 people don't look at 50 like they look at them even though his money is up because he still speaks to a level of of commoners sometimes
Starting point is 01:09:28 and so I think that it is a gift and a curse when you when you look at that that's their mistake not looking at 50 like they look at them other dudes
Starting point is 01:09:38 no no no but 50 I understand I get it he still be on social media. He's still laughing and joking, posting funny shit on social media. So you look at him like he's one of us
Starting point is 01:09:51 more than you look at Jay or Puff. Like look at Cardi B. Anytime Cardi says anything, human, regular shit, girl, shut up. You rich, you can't do that. It's like you're not allowed to be a human anymore because we see the lifestyle you live the circumstance exactly you are here don't talk to us
Starting point is 01:10:11 about human shit it's like they don't even view you as a human no more but i think that's one of the appeals with cardi is that she is still so carded get up there like yo with my bonnet on uh it's over for that yes i was getting was getting ready to say it's over. That's what it was. It was that. Originally. Unfortunately I do think that. That it's over for that? Yes. She's on the other side of that. Not for her. Please don't misconstrue it and go to the NL and have anatomy. No, that was her appeal. Before. Her appeal was
Starting point is 01:10:36 That's what I said was the problem with that Bongo's record. What we're saying right now is what I'm saying. That used to be Cardi. It's different now. Because that definitely was her appeal. For sure. That's what won for her.
Starting point is 01:10:52 The common person, the common female in the Bronx or in Detroit or in Chicago could appeal to this girl. Regular, regular. It's the same thing I said about the city girls versus the new crop of the artists, women rappers today. same thing I said about the city girls versus the new crop of the artists women rappers today relatable to just the average girl who can see themselves in her I think so but I think that's really a thing in hip-hop more than most other arm professions absolutely unfortunately no for sure for sure it is I don't know if it exists at all in any other profession, honestly. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:11:27 No, I agree. Even some of the athletes that are mega rich, you don't necessarily look at them like they're not relatable. Right. You can't wear all that shit on the court. Maybe a Floyd. Floyd. That's about it. But that's it.
Starting point is 01:11:43 Yeah. Think LeBron and them walking. They got sweatpants on with a man bag and they just be walking around they'll have you know shit that would even if they got on a watch watch it don't be it might be a six hundred thousand dollar watch with no diamond it ain't bust down it's not it's not the shiny shit so it's not the change I think that's a hip-hop exclusive we finally we finally got an answer to our Jay-z our Jay-z internet meme that black Twitter made up would you read Jay-z sat down with Gayle King that interview comes out is it out already in trial I think it's
Starting point is 01:12:18 coming out in two parts two parts is supposed to drop but they released a clip where he says, if you have the opportunity to go to dinner with me or get $500,000, take the $500,000. And buy a couple of albums. And go listen to the music. Go buy some albums. Anything that I would tell you at the dinner,
Starting point is 01:12:38 I already put in the music. That's a bad deal. And I wouldn't tell you to go get the bad deal. Take the money take 1999 or whatever these albums cost and then go listen to them again which is similar to what he said to me on the phone when I was like hey man some of this shit you're telling me you got to tell people he echoed that exact thing. Really? I did it already. It's in the music.
Starting point is 01:13:07 I said it a million times. If you didn't hear it, that's on you. He feels like that. Conversely, that's some arrogant humility. Rick Ross said he would take the dinner. He just came out and said he would take the dinner. He said because one time he went to dinner with Jay when he was doing one of the albums.
Starting point is 01:13:27 And he said Jay gave him some advice that just made him a way better artist and a way better rapper. I'm taking the dinner, too. But I'm not. I'm rich. You rich already. I was going to say, you and Rick Ross are not, you know, hurting for $500,000. I'm 100% taking the dinner.
Starting point is 01:13:43 And Hov is only telling y'all that to keep y'all away from the jewels. And he don't want to do all these dinners. No, he does not. He's trying to keep y'all away from the gyms because it might be a little selfish. Hey, whatever you said in that album, expound over some calamari.
Starting point is 01:14:01 Expound over these meatballs that's coming out. I got some other questions. I ain't hearing reasonable doubt. I got reasonable doubts. Yeah, I agree with Rick Ross. I'm taking a dinner too. I never really thought about this. Y'all internet kids out there,
Starting point is 01:14:16 that's... I'm taking the money. Taking the money. That's disrespecting me and some other people. Talk about dinner with Joe Budden or a pair of Asics. That's funny to y'all.
Starting point is 01:14:28 That's kind of funny. What color are the Asics? Don't worry. Everybody has one. They didn't only do me. That's fine. You keep the same energy. When I start reading y'all's on.
Starting point is 01:14:36 That's real. Yeah, exactly. They did a boss. Yes. You're lying. Yes, they're out there. That's funny. I know that's great.
Starting point is 01:14:42 Dinner with Ish or whatever they said. Yeah, exactly. Dinner's funny. I know that's great. Dinner with Ish or whatever they say. Yeah, exactly. Dinner with Mel. What? Don't hurt my feelings. Don't hurt my feelings. I would never. OK.
Starting point is 01:14:54 I would never. OK. Yeah, a whole full of shit. I mean, he's right. He is right about it being in the music. I do agree with that. But nah, tell me some more. You stopped rapping. For a lot of people, you need the 500 more than being in the music. I do agree with that. But nah, tell me some more. You stopped rapping.
Starting point is 01:15:05 For a lot of people, you need the 500 more than you need the dinner. And that's why he's saying that. See, to be relatable. That's what it is? Yes. Because he would be a complete dickhead if he said,
Starting point is 01:15:19 me. Take the dinner with me, nigga. Come sit with me. He would be a dickhead. They would view him differently. He would look nuts. He can't say that. That's say that that's true i agree he did the right thing but we going to dinner hole but again you rich so whatever he can impart on you is going to be different than he giving it to me yeah i ain't rich enough i know so now you at the next level where whatever he can tell you can make you scale up. Mr. Carter, tell me how to take, I can take my little bit of this and turn it into a whole lot of that.
Starting point is 01:15:51 That's true. Yeah. And I'll take the Wagyu bacon as I wait. They got Wagyu bacon? Yes-ish. They doing some shit to these pigs. We got to take you down south. You got to come down south with me man
Starting point is 01:16:05 I just was down there Your family from down there I just was down there From my aunt's 75th I don't wanna hear from Those southern nigga That don't eat pork That didn't finish college
Starting point is 01:16:14 I don't I don't Fucking E Yo See what you're doing You be reading the comments too much No I don't You do read the comments
Starting point is 01:16:21 Well I do read the comments But what I'm saying is to you And you only would know that if you're reading comments. I read them. You the boss, though. You got to finish school, yo. Why? It's important.
Starting point is 01:16:33 To anybody. It's important. Don't start. Don't start your shit. Well, you about to curse me out because I said finish school. I'm not about to curse them out, but it's cool. Why? They was on your head?
Starting point is 01:16:42 I really didn't see no comment about them being on your head. Why? About not finishing college? Yeah. Why? Yeah, why? What is there They was on your head? I really didn't see no comment about them being on your head. Why? About not finishing college? Yeah. Why? Yeah, why? What was there to be on your head about? People just be wanting something to say.
Starting point is 01:16:51 Like, it invalidates the information that you're given if you ain't finished college. I can see that. Oh, shut up. Shut up. I can see them saying that now. You know how much shit I sit in talking from 10th grade dropout? Why not? That don't matter.
Starting point is 01:17:06 Does that matter to you? So not finishing college invalidates your experiences? That matters to Ish. Don't try to talk to Ish like he ain't intellect him. It don't even. He don't like that. You don't question my intellect. No, no.
Starting point is 01:17:19 The degree don't do that. Mel, you finished college? I didn't finish. No. Oh, yeah. They said me and Mel. Yeah. How do they know that?
Starting point is 01:17:27 Y'all up here cosplaying. I've never cosplaying. Y'all up here cosplaying as fucking intellects. Fake smart niggas. Who said that? Wow. We fake smart because we ain't finished college. That make you fake smart?
Starting point is 01:17:40 I got it. Mel, word of the day from a dropout. It's over for that. Oh, man. It's from a dropout. Don't for that. Oh, man. It's okay. Nigga left to go do the knock yourself out bit, huh? Little X came a-calling. Got you right out of Canada U.

Starting point is 01:18:12 No. Okay. It's a real university. Why'd you leave? She got popping. The U.S. came a-calling. All of the above. USD.
Starting point is 01:18:21 All of the above. I gave myself three months. I was just like, okay. You only went to three months? No, no, no, no no i gave myself three months here oh here yes here i gave myself three months here i was like if nothing pops off then i go back to my life in canada i'm gonna finish school and that's gonna be it it's snowballed like a motherfucker from the minute I touched down I was popping like never look back fuck that school never look back fuck education no you know it's funny it's like I found
Starting point is 01:18:59 New York I don't know I don't think anything is funny about dropping out of college, but what? Coincidental. I was applying to go back to school right before I ended up joining the team. So you go to school now? No, I am. I am. It's still very much
Starting point is 01:19:16 a priority of mine, but it's just I was applying in California. That thing is so smooth. Yo. Hey. All right. Let's roll with your man.
Starting point is 01:19:27 Wake this up. Let's roll with your man. Wake this up. Y'all a little too smooth. Sit it up. Hold up, boys. That was smooth. But I'm here.
Starting point is 01:19:36 Just because Flip ain't here, don't try it. Try what? That nigga said, you can go. You can go like now. Don't do that, Ish. She didn't go to school to be here with us. Don't ship her back to Ish York. Don't ship her back to Ish York, yo.
Starting point is 01:19:52 There's 77 schools in New York and Missouri. No, but for real, if we are preventing you from learning. No, no, no. It has nothing to do with that. It just has to do with geography. I was applying in California. So now that that's not, I'm no longer living there. No, it has nothing to do with that. It just has to do with geography. I was applying in California. So now that that's not, I'm no longer living there.
Starting point is 01:20:09 I'm going to reapply. I wouldn't be able to sleep at night. Shut up. If we were putting stuff. No. We were stunting you, girl. No, you're not at all. We were stunting your girl? No.
Starting point is 01:20:19 No, I've started to do my recognizance on which school I want to go to out here. Do a little internet shit. What's the shit called? You search more for a car than you did for school. Oh, shit. You know what? You can probably get the school video. Narrative Nancy, shut the fuck up.
Starting point is 01:20:33 You can do a school skit. You can shoot the Little Romeo video. You can shoot one of them commercials. Oh, because the school didn't give you an ad. I see DC. You know what? If the school did ads, maybe you would. Get off my motherfucking dick, okay?
Starting point is 01:20:44 I'm Melissa Foran and I'm at Apex Tech. If they give you some ad money and put you in the catalog, you're going to be right there. Mel, pop up on the TV. You sitting on the couch wasting all day.
Starting point is 01:20:57 All these hours in a day. Come to school. Come to NYU. There you go. I swear to God, I'll do it. I bet you will. I swear to God, I'll do it. You should do College Hill.
Starting point is 01:21:06 Funny that you, hey, hey, BET, College Hill, hey. Begging, begging, begging. Baby, she begging, baby, she begging, begging, baby. Baby, she begging. Damn, that cup get to rattling fast, ain't it? She'll look right at the camera, too. Fuck out of here. She did look at the camera.
Starting point is 01:21:22 That's funny. I did. TGT is back. Oh, I'm sorry. Make some noise. Make some noise. Now. You did that shit? The narcissist in me. I think you did. The narcissist in me.
Starting point is 01:21:35 Oh, man. Says that. They saw the app. You played a part. This was me. I did it. Joe did that. So hopefully y'all won't have to go through that oh man this has been years of texts phone calls fucking stressing these guys out individually and as a collective except for genuine but I've been harassing Tank and Tyrese are you serious yeah yeah am I serious about what really you've been like having conversations and Tyrese for years. Are you serious? Yeah, yeah. Am I serious about what? Really?
Starting point is 01:22:05 You've been having conversations with both of them about getting back together? Yeah. I have been having these conversations for years. Okay. You ain't seen when he sat on the couch? No, I saw that. I saw that. I saw.
Starting point is 01:22:18 Mel, I'm the R&B whisperer. No, honestly. She laughed at you when you said that. I'm the... Yeah, she needed to go to school. That's what she needed to do. whisperer. No, honestly. She laughed at you when you said that. Yeah, she needed to go to school. That's what she needed to do. You got that degree, then you would know. So yes, Mel, I do feel partly responsible
Starting point is 01:22:37 for this. They put a video out with the three of them. Tank gave a long speech. Genuine gave hugs to everybody. Yo, Tank has to stop, my nigga. Tank has to stop what? Nigga's shooing off.
Starting point is 01:22:51 That nigga gave a speech with a fucking 12-pack, sitting there with his shirt off, looking like fucking Incredible Hulk. That's hate. That's hate. Yeah, word, big hate. I know. I mean, you got the Peloton, my nigga.
Starting point is 01:23:02 Just get on it. A Peloton don't do what that nigga has. And you dropped out of school and still ain't get your body right. Nigga got a Peloton, dropped out of that. You know what I mean? Dropped out of Peloton school. Nigga standing there, nah, I really love these guys. Nigga breathe.
Starting point is 01:23:17 Your fucking abs ain't going. Stomach ain't going up and down like, yo. Ish, what do you think happens when people dedicate a certain amount of hours to their craft? It's a joke, yo. Not really, though. It is, though. Not really.
Starting point is 01:23:30 He wanted that. Not really. There's a few parts in the road where you bring up niggas with nice bodies, yo. It's a joke, like I said. So you don't want a nice body? I don't need that.
Starting point is 01:23:39 Oh, shit. I mean, look. Especially now that Skims is available for men. All you gotta do is go get you a father. You heard him, right? I heard him. He's smart, look. Especially now that Skims is available for men. All you got to do is go get you a Faja. You heard him, right? I heard him. He's smart, though.
Starting point is 01:23:49 I don't need that. That's not what I asked. He didn't ask for that. That's not what I asked. Would I like a better physique? Yeah, I think it's nicer. It's more healthy. We got it.
Starting point is 01:23:56 That's what we're talking about. All right, move it. You got it, big dog. You know what I'm saying? Can you touch your toes? That's a little invasive. You can't ask nobody that. Why she can't ask that? If I ask, can you touch your toes, then's a little invasive. You can't ask nobody that. Why she can't ask that?
Starting point is 01:24:07 If I ask you can you touch your toes, then what? Yes, I can. She can touch her toes. Yes, I can. How do you know she can touch? I'm learning to be a Pilates instructor. I'm flexible as fuck. Go back to school.
Starting point is 01:24:16 Fuck Pilates. Oh, shit. Drop out on drop out, B. And, Mel, to answer you, I'm assuming that he can't touch his toes. I don't think he can. Probably don't. Yeah, I don't think he can. I don't think that many niggas in here
Starting point is 01:24:29 can touch their toes. I can touch my toes. I can touch my toes. I think it's only you that can. You think? I do think. Let's do a demonstration. I love it.
Starting point is 01:24:39 Come on, come on, come on. Come on. Please. If you're listening at home, we're now doing the Touch Your Toes challenge. Come on, go ahead. I're listening at home, we're now doing the Touch Your Toes challenge. Come on, go ahead. I can't.
Starting point is 01:24:48 Fingertips are hands flat. Then why the hell was you standing up? Flat hands. You just did it, right? Flat hands, flat hands. Hey, man, I'm 6'2". Get your 5-foot ass out of here, flat hands on the ground. Flat hands is a lot.
Starting point is 01:24:59 Flat hands is a lot. You didn't say that at first. And I just touched my toes. Your go. Are your long arms under law? Get your Jabba ran ass out here. You got your long arms. Everybody can do that.
Starting point is 01:25:18 Everybody cannot do that. That was good, though. That was nice. I did give a little bit. You did. But I did it. All right. Why are you looking at me? All right. Well, listen. They're listening at home. They're a little bit. You did. But I did it. All right. Why you looking at me?
Starting point is 01:25:25 All right. Well, listen, they're listening at home. They're listening at home. You can get up and try it. You ain't before for the 11 anyway. Oh, god. All right. Come on, move right.
Starting point is 01:25:34 Listen, TGT, I couldn't be happier. In that clip, though, I think we got some information as to why they broke up that I didn't know about. We definitely did. What was it? They made Tyrese swear on record. Publicly say that he was going to split the spanky.
Starting point is 01:25:48 Yeah, he was going to split the, split the, got me about to say spanky. Split the money three ways down the middle. Evenly. Evenly. I always thought that
Starting point is 01:25:58 that was the problem though, was the money and, yeah, and that Tyrese thought that he was the biggest one out of the group and deserved the lion's share of the money. That was what I always thought. Can I ask a question? Well, he changed his mind.
Starting point is 01:26:11 Okay. Is that admissible in court? No. Okay. But they got... Them niggas is 20, 30 years in the music business. I'm sure the new contractual shit will reflect that equal third split.
Starting point is 01:26:26 I think Tyrese means it. Me too. I do think that he means this. I don't think he was just bullshitting for the camera. I don't think so. And I was real ecstatic about it until his ex-wife popped up
Starting point is 01:26:35 and started stressing him out trying to get him to change his mind. She needed to chill out. Wait, change his mind about what? She went on a podcast and she discussed the fact that she regrets filing for divorce and says that her friends were in her ear leading her down the wrong road. You gonna take credit for this too?
Starting point is 01:26:56 Hey, champ. No. Hey, champ. I'm not taking credit for this. I messed up, champ. Take me back. Oh, shit. This is paint on this grass.
Starting point is 01:27:04 This shit This shit ain't really green over here Grass don't be green On that other side nigga And then Tyrese made a response video Oh I didn't see that It was like You can't play with black tie
Starting point is 01:27:14 Black tie Black tie Black tie Right now that's his name Yeah Yeah Or Martin Luther Or Martin Luther King
Starting point is 01:27:22 Correct You can't play with any of them Yeah But he was pissed Anyway he was pissed The video was like 10 minutes long He responded He said Or Martin Luther. Or Martin Luther King. Correct. He can't play with any of them. Yeah. But he was pissed. Anyway, he was pissed. The video was like 10 minutes long. He responded.
Starting point is 01:27:29 He said, I am with. And he said his girl now. His girl's name now. He said that a few different times. Women don't never think about that. Well, maybe they do. Like, you're going on camera. That might be what inspired it a little something. You're going on the internet talking about, I'm sorry.
Starting point is 01:27:44 I shouldn't have left you. Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. Like, you don't think about the spot that you put in his current significant other in? I don't think she gave a fuck. This is going for the throat. That might be why she did it. Not just that.
Starting point is 01:27:59 She better not fuck up this TGT rollout. I know that. I've been waiting way too long. We gonna talk like niggas or we gonna talk like niggas? I was gonna say, if you just... I just wanna know. We gonna talk like niggas or we gonna be podcasters? I always wanna talk like niggas.
Starting point is 01:28:16 I always wanna talk like niggas. All right, we gonna talk like niggas. All right, give it a shot. Well, look. Okay. Okay. Ain't been too many R&B albums that have come out and eclipsed this since this came out. Before they get into the hook, we'll toss it back to Ice so I can hear, but these three niggas is too great together.
Starting point is 01:29:03 Yeah, I ain't gonna lie. If we fucking, then I could somehow find an Apple TV and put it on Joseph Station and it's come on. Oh, man. Powerful. It goes. Oh, my God. Them niggas is nice. I ain't going to lie to you. All right. All right. What you were saying?
Starting point is 01:29:13 No, I was just trying to find out what we were talking about. Oh, we're going to be real. Okay. Stop, son. Oh, my God. The suspense is eating me up. My fault, but niggas will move the new shorty out the way if the one he in love with or been in love, really love like that, come back around. And make such a public declaration for that love.
Starting point is 01:29:34 And admits that she was wrong. Yeah, that's all I was waiting for. Puts her ego to the side. Yeah, you was here because I wanted to be there, but I couldn't be there. And I found you, and we have something really great. Now to be there, but I couldn't be there. And I found you. And we have something really great. Now that being said, you usually regret the double back. Of course.
Starting point is 01:29:50 That's true. But I knew shorty was going to start chewing a little, pissing you off. I totally am. I don't like the way you tie your sneakers. You know what I'm saying? You're starting to aggravate me. Yeah, but then you go back to the old one and all that shit pisses you off too. And you realize why she's the old one.
Starting point is 01:30:04 I get it. Yeah, but in certain instances, I'm trying to take it off of Tyrese. In certain instances. Well, I think what you just said takes it off Tyrese. Yeah, absolutely. Because I don't think this example is just for him. I want to respond to what Parks was saying, though. When you wasn't the one who wanted this to end.
Starting point is 01:30:23 True. She did. Yeah, no. I've been there too. So it ain't like all the shit that I get back with you, now I don't like again. I didn't like. There was nothing I didn't like.
Starting point is 01:30:34 I didn't want you to leave. You left. I wanted you back. Yeah, but sometimes you just want them back. Because they left your ass. Because they left your ass. And then you get back and you're like, oh, I didn't really want this back.
Starting point is 01:30:45 I'm just going to say, the new shorty don't start looking the same when the old shorty declares that she wants you back. She looks a little dusty? Little pig finish. Little pig finish. But I did hear Tyrese's ex-wife And what she said
Starting point is 01:31:07 And she talked about how She had the wrong circle The wrong tribe Around her Feeding her shitty information She said she Was on the phone With her attorney
Starting point is 01:31:16 When she was just Balling and in tears And distraught And emotional And she said That's definitely the wrong person I should have been on the phone with I mean
Starting point is 01:31:24 Well because they had an incentive obviously okay and your girlfriends be broke and your girlfriends be single and they got an incentive too whoa whoa whoa hold on one second here they don't want to see you riding around whoa whoa whoa whoa nope don't do that don't do the single girl thing that is such that is such a misnomer okay that like It is. I said okay. I am single girlfriend. You win. No, I'm just saying. I am single girlfriend and I don't go
Starting point is 01:31:51 and tell my girlfriends, oh, you got to dump him. You got to do this because I want you to be miserable like me. No. No. Y'all don't.
Starting point is 01:31:57 Well, I'm not going to talk. No, no, no. One question. Hold on. You don't try to save her. I'm not trying to save her. One question. I am not.
Starting point is 01:32:03 I'm doing the opposite of saving her. I'm going to take everything you. I am not. I'm doing the opposite of saving her. I'm going to take everything you said as the truth. Could you be an anomaly? Yes. And it could be a lot of other single girlfriends to do the exact same thing that we're speaking about, right? Could that be true? Yes.
Starting point is 01:32:17 And be clear. Sometimes they're not outwardly saying you should. They just try to make their life look like it's mad fun and lit. You're missing out. You're missing out on this shit over here. Oh, no, no, no. I'll be the first one to be like, do not fucking get divorced.
Starting point is 01:32:30 This shit is awful. I would also like to refer you, Miss Ford, to an earlier episode of this podcast we did. He loves this shit. Well, go ahead. Who loves it more, me or Ish? Yo, don't put me over here. Yo, what's wrong with you?
Starting point is 01:32:44 I keep... And pause, right? No, I'm talking? Yo, don't put me over. Yo, what's wrong with you? I keep. And pause, right? No, I'm talking about bringing up, referring to old podcast. I think that's Ish's back. My memory is not even good enough to really play this game. Oh, but because that, and that's what makes it. My memory is not good enough to play this game. It's extra juicy when you think you remembered something.
Starting point is 01:32:58 Mel, because I love and care about you. So sometimes when you say shit, I listen intensely to try to hear. you so sometimes when you say shit i listen intensely to try to hear you had an earlier podcast episode where you said your home girl was in such and such relationship and you couldn't understand why she kept trying to be with this man or why she kept trying to fight for him when he was a piece he did x my no no no you as the friend was telling her i love it it's time to go don't be stupid. I love this. You did literally all of the things that we're talking about right here. Wait, wait, wait.
Starting point is 01:33:29 Oh, I care if you're going to talk over me. Go ahead. No, because I know what you're saying. You're basically saying. Does anybody remember that episode? I do. Hold on one second here. But do you guys remember why I was saying it?
Starting point is 01:33:41 It wasn't because I was saying he was a piece of shit. It was because I was saying she was a piece of shit. It was because I was saying she was a piece of shit to him. I said, it is very uncomfortable for us to be around you when you emasculate him, when you speak to him
Starting point is 01:33:53 like he's garbage. Do not marry this man because to me, she was not worthy of him. The way she treated him was fucked up. And it was like, and we as your friends,
Starting point is 01:34:02 we're not cheerleading you when you do this. This is fucking gross maybe I forgot that part maybe I forgot that part you half remembered it and then you put some special sauce on it
Starting point is 01:34:11 I accept that to the record and I love special sauce paws I'm just saying like not you know we're not saying that all women do that you're not a monolith
Starting point is 01:34:20 okay that's right I am we're not a monolith why does she think that they're a monolith I don't know I don't think that we're a monolith. Okay. That's true. That's right. I am. We are not a monolith. Why does she think that they are monolith? I don't know.
Starting point is 01:34:27 I don't think that we're a monolith. Don't tell me shit. But there are a lot of women that the single... Mental. Well, mental. We'll say mental. We'll say mental. Just miserable people don't necessarily want to see you happy living your best life. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:34:40 Because it's a reflection of a mirror that you're putting up to their face that they live in a shitty life. Y'all tell me about the relationship you were in where you were madly in love with somebody and then they did something that totally changed your view and perception of them. And you can never look at them the same again after that. Has that ever happened to any of you? See, because this conversation we're talking about, for me, it don't apply to Tyrese because it really do sound like, and he and sat and talked to it do sound like he's tight about whatever she did like he's really really tight about it he keeps saying the way you presented yourself and who you are two different things uh you seem to now be on some money grab shit money hunt shit you're now trying to be a
Starting point is 01:35:22 celebrity life coach your focus is seem to be a celebrity life coach. Your focus is seeming to be social media followers and just things that didn't matter when we met. He seemed like, and I'm not speaking for him, but he seemed like
Starting point is 01:35:32 he's done done. Tell me about when y'all was done done and your perception changed because it's something that your significant other did. Well, you know. And let's do it fast.
Starting point is 01:35:41 You personally know, man. She took your doors. Yeah. All of them. No, I just had somebody well you know and let's do it fast you personally know mine she took your doors yeah all of them no I just had somebody that I was in a relationship with we did business together and
Starting point is 01:35:53 the moves that she made once we broke up on the business side were terrible morally and so I just could never look at you the same
Starting point is 01:36:01 like and my mother got involved like it was part you know what I'm saying like it was some damaging shit that she did to my mom etc etc and I was just like yo And so I just could never look at you the same. And my mother got involved. Like, it was part, you know what I'm saying? Like, it was some damaging shit that she did to my mom, et cetera, et cetera. And I was just like, yo, if you would do that, because it's do's and don'ts. If you would do some shit like that, then we never going to be there no more. I found a tape of him fucking another woman.
Starting point is 01:36:21 That's all? That's it? Oh, my God. Okay. Word? That's it? Oh my God. Okay. Word? Just asking. Don't look at me. We thought you had some heavy shit.
Starting point is 01:36:31 Yeah. You guys are sick fucks. That's not, that's not heavy shit. Finding, finding tapes of your, of your,
Starting point is 01:36:39 of your fiance having sex with other women. It's a feather. Please. Really? During your relationship. And lying about who it was. He didn't tell the truth?
Starting point is 01:36:52 That is crazy. He's supposed to tell you it was Jenna? No. He's supposed to tell you it was Sharon? Putting my health at risk at the same time. Oh, fuck that one. No, no, no. No, no, no.
Starting point is 01:37:03 I'm sick of that one. Fucking dusty bitches with no condoms and then coming to me? Yo, I just want to say, ladies out there, it's over for that one. I'm so tired of that one. If I cheated and fucked Shorty raw, let's have the real talk. Don't insert, you put my health at risk, even if it's true. Because that ain't the real talk. Oh, my God.
Starting point is 01:37:29 That's not the real talk. It was a significant part of it. Stop it. That's not the real talk. You put my health at risk. That's why you watch the video, huh? I disagree. I'm rocking with Mel on that.
Starting point is 01:37:39 Thank you. Good. She need all the support she can get. That is what... Parks, the health thing. Oh, is she still begging? It's a thing? Come on! It's not can get. Parks, the health thing. Oh, does she still take it? It's a thing? Come on!
Starting point is 01:37:47 It's not a thing. You guys are fucking gross. Y'all think he used a little bit of discernment enough? Yeah. No, I don't think he used any discernment whatsoever. The bitch was dusty as fuck. All right, let me ask. Wait, wait, wait.
Starting point is 01:37:59 Yes, yes, yes, I said it. How long from when y'all first started fucking, did y'all take the fuck wrong? She be trolling us, yo. Wait, what? When y'all first started fucking did y'all take the fucking wrong? She be trolling on show. Wait, what? When y'all first When you start fucking with homeboys
Starting point is 01:38:09 how long did it take for y'all to start fucking wrong? Look at her. Shut up. It's a couple months. Oh, so I'm definitely going to get some raw pussy. If it took you
Starting point is 01:38:20 a couple months I'm his girl. Fast forward to you know, our fianced. That means nothing. That means absolute. Oh, my God. You guys are sick of us. And she lying, right?
Starting point is 01:38:33 That means nothing and she lying. How is it? What am I lying about? How is he going to say it to me? Come on. I'll let it go. She be coming up here trolling us. And it works every time.
Starting point is 01:38:43 I'm not letting her go. What, you guys think I'm lying about the two months? I don't know. Let me ask you something. When he fucked Shorty Roy, I mean, cheated, how long, and when you found out, how long after did you take your test and all your gyno shit? It was almost immediate. Did you have anything?
Starting point is 01:38:59 No. So clearly he didn't use his test. And your health wasn't at risk because you didn't use it. And your health wasn't at risk, right? Look. And you still left him. For the commenters. What the fuck I did?
Starting point is 01:39:10 Because they group us together all the time. They group me and Joe together and the guys, the guys all the time. I'm standing with Mel on this one. Thank you. I appreciate that. I'm standing with Mel. After you was coughing saying liar and cat. It is cool.
Starting point is 01:39:24 Pander away. Pander away. No. Pander away. I'm off of this. I'm off of this. I'm not on mail. I'm not on mail. I be in the Sunday talk spaces
Starting point is 01:39:30 they be pressing me about mail. I'm not on mail. Okay, what happened? Ice, what's yours? It was a violation of trust and that led... Don't cry. Wait, wait, stop.
Starting point is 01:39:40 Slow down. Relax. Disrespect cannot be tolerated. Violation of trust, but it was really a disrespect of my mom. Whoa. I don't play that. Whoa. Who is dumb enough to do that?
Starting point is 01:39:57 Once that line is crossed, it's... Who's dumb enough to do that? And we'll justify that shit. There is no justification. No, I'm saying people will justify it. There's no justification. Yeesh. Niggas say some bullshit.
Starting point is 01:40:09 Yo, I only did it because. Oh, that don't even count to me. That's like, you do that. Yeah. That's automatic. Yeah, no, moms is off limits.
Starting point is 01:40:18 Barks? One I can think of is she started hanging around mutual friends, like dudes. She thought they were platonic. And I'm like, yo, I know these dudes. They want to fuck you. She's like, nah, no way, no way.
Starting point is 01:40:35 She slipped and fell? No, she didn't slip and fall. She didn't do nothing, but. That you know of. No, I don't think she did. I don't think she did. But it just got to the point where I started learning that they were in love with her. It was like, you have to stop hanging out with these dudes.
Starting point is 01:40:51 She chose them over you. Sort of. She felt like I was trying to police her friendships or some bullshit. I'm like, dog, all right. Think she slipped and fell. She didn't slip and fall. That's my knowledge. Maybe after.
Starting point is 01:41:03 Well, no, because the dudes, respectfully. Not on. They not piggity? If she slipped and fell, that's a bad fall. A lot of motherfuckers like falling in the mud. That was a bad fall. Yeah, I'm with you guys. It's a violation of trust.
Starting point is 01:41:19 Not the lie, but I need to know the process behind, your thought process behind the lie, why you felt like you need to lie, and the severity of the lie. Like, how big is this lie? Like, what are we doing here? Yes-ish? No, that's not fair.
Starting point is 01:41:33 Why is it not fair? Because, I don't want to pander. I'm not pandering. This is my real thoughts. I'm not pandering. Because Mel says, yo, basically, when you find a videotape of the dude fucking a chick raw, that's a violation of trust and you lying.
Starting point is 01:41:48 Yes. I'm not agreeing with Mel for leaving for the cheat. How are you relating that to what I'm saying? Because all of those things that were your catalyst for leaving a relationship and being completely done, they are applicable to Mel. It's deception. Yes. No. It is. Yes.
Starting point is 01:42:01 It is a violation of trust. Everything in what I'm saying, if I can be allowed to speak about what I'm saying, I know it's tough to shut the fuck up. Everything I'm saying speaks to the degree. Mel's boundary and my boundary ain't going to be the same. I can find a tape of my partner fucking, and that won't be the breaking point for me. For you though.
Starting point is 01:42:26 Yeah. That's what I'm saying. I was only talking about me. I know, I'm saying that. But the reasons that you gave were her same reasons. It just might be a different example.
Starting point is 01:42:35 What are y'all talking about? Why do y'all keep putting my shit to her shit? No, no, no. Because of how we reacted to her shit. We're like, that's it? But that's her boundary.
Starting point is 01:42:43 I'm gonna always clown her. I don't care about what y'all are saying. Why are y'all trying to serious out us clowning Mel? We not. Then shut the fuck up. We not. We having a conversation. One and two, everybody's level of tolerance
Starting point is 01:42:54 will be different. Absolutely. I don't care if everybody's speaking about the same thing. The breaking points are going to be different. I'm laughing at Mel's breaking point. Because I, and how I view the act of sex, is very different. That's not enough
Starting point is 01:43:05 to make me turn from someone that checks all my boxes I wouldn't give a fuck if that person they fucked is standing in front of me that's what I was
Starting point is 01:43:12 laughing at with Mel that's true not to say that that shouldn't be her breaking point don't do that so speaking of breaking point
Starting point is 01:43:20 there was he didn't check off all boxes I don't care I didn't ask I didn't care okay so Ty's probably this ain't gonna work her campaign to try to win him back. I know, man. We got TGT back. I don't give a fuck what she talking about.
Starting point is 01:43:49 That might have helped us get TGT back. Yo, dog, do y'all know they recently just celebrated the 10-year anniversary of TGT? Wow. If you wanted to feel old. Don't feel like it's been 10 years, right? It does not. It doesn't. Exactly. I can't wait for that project. Yo, right? It does not. It doesn't. Exactly.
Starting point is 01:44:06 I can't wait for that project. Yeah, we getting over it. Yo, salute to y'all for getting back together. Tyrese, shout to you for doing the right thing, man. I mean, I don't know if that's the right thing. Can y'all speak to that one? What? If you're Tyrese, what do you do? Take that.
Starting point is 01:44:19 It depends on how bad I want to put this album out. And you do the splits. If I want to do it, yeah. Yeah, that's it. I think it's the right thing. It depends on how bad I want this to succeed. If this is my goal, I want to get this album out, I want to work with my brothers again,
Starting point is 01:44:35 then yeah, I'll take that. I think in a true group dynamic, it's easier to just go as close to 50-50 or thirds or whatever and ignore the reality that you should be. Yeah, exactly. You should maybe be getting more, but you got to eat that shit. I mean, hurting. I'm saying from him to say, I'll take a
Starting point is 01:44:54 small of a cut, I'm not hurting. It just avoids the headache. That's what I'm saying. It's like when Steve and I came here and was like, yo, for me to take two million less so that these people right here is cool, I'll take it. I get it. Well, congratulations.
Starting point is 01:45:09 I can't wait for the project. Shout out to those three brothers, man. I'm excited about it. Let's keep it on Super Groups. Oh, God. What's up, man? Yeah, we're here. Y'all are here. Come on, get your shit on.
Starting point is 01:45:24 Just Blaze went to his old iPod and found Glasshouse. He dropping it. He put a couple out. He put two out. They were together, right? Yeah, they were. Yeah, on album. For the people that don't know what Glasshouse is.
Starting point is 01:45:41 Slaughterhouse's final album that was unreleased, produced by Just Blaze, produced by Justice League, A-Rab, Ill Mind. I meant to call Just Blaze. Oh, you didn't talk to him? No, I didn't speak to Just Blaze. Oh, he just did that for real? Yes, he just did that shit.
Starting point is 01:45:56 Got people hitting my phone talking about, is this a rollout? No, nigga. He's right. I have never hit Just Blaze. I haven't spoke to him about it. I've never heard those versions of those records.
Starting point is 01:46:10 Only Just Blaze has those. That's not true. I got them same versions. He still don't know how I got them. That's the funny thing. He's Just Blaze. I still have the album. You have the record.
Starting point is 01:46:20 I don't see the point. I don't understand the point of him doing that. Honestly. Like if I'm going to speak honestly for a second, I don't know why he did that. I would have been totally against that. Really? Why? He used to be the king of Lincoln shit.
Starting point is 01:46:34 That's not where we are right now. That's not where you are. That's not where I am right now. I know. That's not where I am right now. No. What does that do, though. You know how many. What does that do though? You know how many times I had my lawyer reach out to squash somebody trying to put out old Joe Budden vocals.
Starting point is 01:46:53 I'm not saying that's just. But in my retirement, I'm true to form. I don't want to hear none of that old Joe Budden shit. I don't. Really? I don't. I don't want to hear none of that old Joe Budden shit. I don't. Really? I don't. I don't. If I want to hear Joe Budden in 2024, I would like it to be some new shit or just something else.
Starting point is 01:47:13 Not this old, archaic shit that wasn't coming out anyway. That didn't come out back then. Don't start putting it out now. And what type of signal do that send to the other people? You don't even know the terms that people is on. I don't like nothing
Starting point is 01:47:30 about none of that shit. Who owns that music? I don't know if anybody owns it. I don't know if it's ownable music. I'm sure Shady probably technically does
Starting point is 01:47:38 without knowing any of the contract details. I don't know if that's true. I don't even know if they own it. What do you say? We bought out. Oh, okay. And we might have bought out with true. I don't even know if they own it. What do you say... Because we bought out.
Starting point is 01:47:48 Oh, okay. And we might have bought out with our shit, with the rights to our shit. Gotcha. Let me ask you... I don't like that at all. I thought that was whack. I ain't gonna lie. What do you say to the... I'm not talking about the business side of it. What do you say to the diehard fan who... I saw people... That shit was Christmas to them.
Starting point is 01:48:04 They've heard whispers of particularly that Joel verse they've heard snippets of the second record the Keep Talking record and that was literally like oh my god we finally got we've been dying to hear something off of this album
Starting point is 01:48:19 that how long it's been what 10 years damn near yeah shit yeah 10 years since we recorded Yeah, shit, yeah, 10 years. Since we recorded. So what do you say to that person? Like you said you don't want to hear no new Joe Button shit. I'm just saying, what do you say to that fan though? I'm down to lose my relatability clause.
Starting point is 01:48:35 I don't give a fuck about that fan. Fuck that fan. I do not give a fuck about that fan. I'm just asking. Good for them. What the fuck that got to do with me? That shit should not be out. Did it age well?
Starting point is 01:48:47 Sounds good to me. That's amazing. I've been listening to it. That's TBD. Yeah, same. I've been listening to it. Same. I've had it, so.
Starting point is 01:48:54 I just don't get why he would do that. Well, he was talking about, rest in peace, Mark the 45 King. He said, I've been going through old shit with Mark passing away. I don't feel like we should be holding on to music. Where's my phone? I don't get mad.
Starting point is 01:49:07 So there's the cord. It's right behind you. Right behind you. So, I mean, I guess he was on some fucking- Liberate the music, man. Liberate the music, man. Life's too short, shit. See, I'm only with that when the artists are still living.
Starting point is 01:49:19 I don't- Well, yeah. That's what I'm saying. I'm not mad at just doing that. But when someone passes- I think a phone call needs to be made prior to- Absolutely. I think the phone rang. I don't's what I'm saying. I'm not mad at just doing that. But when someone passes, I think a phone call needs to be made prior to. Absolutely. I think the phone ringing.
Starting point is 01:49:29 No, wait a second. This nigga's stupid, yo. Yeah. Your call has been. Yeah, I bet. And Mel, your voicemail is canadian like mr rogers because some weird shit happened with your voice but do you know that no i didn't even know i had voicemail okay
Starting point is 01:49:55 when that comes on for you it's like good day mate we she's not bad about the moment oh shit, shit. I got to check that. I didn't know I had voicemail. Talking about three months, I popped off immediately. Change your voicemail then. Okay. Yeah, I'm going to talk to you guys later. I hated it.
Starting point is 01:50:13 Really? Hated it. Everything about it. Interesting. I don't blame you, though. If he would have called you first and told you. He said he would have vehemently just said, no, no don't do it take take me off take me off i don't want nobody doing anything with an old vocal of mine or with my likeness with anything just on their own uh on their own
Starting point is 01:50:39 what if you were involved in whatever uh release process there was like is there a world in which you would say, okay, let me at least pick the shit that I don't like on here and take it off? Take me off. Entirely? Yes. Damn, but I got this Lost Tape album that I've been shopping
Starting point is 01:50:55 that I'm trying to sell of yours with your old music. Good for you. Now you saying this, they ain't gonna fuck, like, you fucking up my business brand here, man. Yeah, take me off. I have a problem with that. Like, i have a problem with when you go you go so hard to fucking almost
Starting point is 01:51:10 distance yourself from a brand like y'all know how i felt when them niggas did that shit like i want nothing hey you got it big dog i'm i'm i'm cool don't come uh i think i think slaughterhouse fans have been through enough with people playing on their feelings their patience they're like enough is and let's sleep in dog's life it's over 10 years niggas ain't rapping together no more joelle and crooker rapping together i don't take another project take me and one of them beats was super hard yeah uh yeah take me off all that shit i don't like it i don't like and i don't like that just blaze did that because if just if somebody did that to a just blaze beat he would go crazy he would have he would have a fucking he would have it would be conniption time you're not wrong shit i put uh stuck in the moment stuck in the moment was
Starting point is 01:51:59 a just blaze beat he was on the phone at 6 a.m talking about yeah what's going on that same business acumen that he had hey assume that some other people got it too don't go putting no old joe button fucking lyrics nowhere nigga that shit ain't that ain't all right it's not all right i don't even like that verse jack move yeah people just think they could do what the fuck they want to do around here and then why did you do that i didn't it makes me I'm going on a rant now because y'all made me mad. Nah, that's what I want to know. Because why did you do that?
Starting point is 01:52:29 Why? I still want to know the why behind that. Like, are you trying to draw up some, like, what are you? It looks weird. I think it was some life too short. The way the other tweets were framed, it sounded like life's too short to sit on the music. But did he put anything else out? No.
Starting point is 01:52:43 He got other shit in the talk. He does. Just told me he got other shit in the tuck he does just told me he got sound uh song cry too so like you you want to put some out put that out i don't know what just angle is let me tell you one angle that i thought that's what i'm saying recent obviously you know the whole drake conversation you know and your critique of the album, a lot of what was brought up was your talent and some people's opinion of it being lack thereof. Maybe this was possibly like an angle? No. Because if you, there's an entire 20,
Starting point is 01:53:14 damn near 20 year discography out there. If you want to bring up the talent, it's right there. I get that. It's right there. I get that, but this is music that nobody's ever heard before, so. It was never heard for a reason. Whatever that reason is, I. I get that, but this is music that nobody's ever heard before. It was never heard for a reason.
Starting point is 01:53:26 Whatever that reason is, I won't get into, but I got thoughts on even that part. Yeah, no. Uh-uh. Whatever your opinion is on Joe Budden's skill set as a rapper, it's yours. Keep it. I'm not trying to coerce nobody. I'm not trying to change nobody's mind. I'm not in here trying to be in
Starting point is 01:53:45 top five conversations yeah but I'm just saying let sleeping dogs lie it's over motherfucker I would be upset if I went out of my way I didn't think about that part when you said this Joe ain't that Joe
Starting point is 01:54:01 this Joe ain't that Joe what you're basically doing is throwing me back in this pot. And this Joe doesn't need that. Not asking for it, looking for it, and nobody else. It's not a sense of validation. Nobody else should just do that
Starting point is 01:54:13 and take it upon themselves. On a much smaller level, I can relate to it. I had an artist that I did a song with a million years ago and never came out and he wanted to release it.
Starting point is 01:54:19 I said, okay, but you got to send me the shit and let me update it for today. Like, what if he spoke to somebody else do you think that's possible yo anything is possible i just don't care anything is possible i don't care at all the time when i wanted some of them songs to come out it was quiet we're going on 2024 now it's over
Starting point is 01:54:46 well at least me my y'all can do what y'all want I'm almost sure that Royce feels the same way
Starting point is 01:54:53 without speaking to him just because frequencies I don't have to speak to him to know how he feel I'm almost sure he feels like that
Starting point is 01:55:01 we gotta call Judge Blaze I need a Judge Blaze phone call any more topics you wanna get me mad about you got no luck sure he feels like that. We gotta call Just Blaze. I need a Just Blaze phone call. Any more topics? You don't get me mad about it? I don't. You thought that was some big up shit. I hated that shit.
Starting point is 01:55:12 I just don't get putting it out without speaking to nobody. Anybody out there with old Joe Button vocals, it's over, yo. It's just over. It's over. We don't need to try and reinvent the wheel. Put that over here on a new song.
Starting point is 01:55:27 If we put an old Just Blaze beat out today, forget it, man. What's up? What else we got? What Kim K did? What City Girl song? Did y'all hear Benny the Butcher's comments on people
Starting point is 01:55:43 critiquing hip hop. He was just saying, you know, enough with the critiques. People just need to just enjoy the music. No! No! Fuck what you talking about. Was he saying this in response to criticism from his last drop? No.
Starting point is 01:56:01 Just music in general. He ain't even addressing criticism of his. He was just speaking in general to fans of music and critics of music. Honestly, what's happened, yo, since that Drake album, critiques and critiques on critiques have been up. I mean, it's always been a thing, but that one was really polarizing. And then Drake's response to the critiques opened another conversation. So I think,
Starting point is 01:56:26 I really think he was speaking on that because it's been a big thing since that album that people are just, everybody got something to say and he's just like, yo, just enjoy the music.
Starting point is 01:56:37 Everything doesn't need a critique. I disagree. I completely disagree. I couldn't disagree more with him. You sound nuts. Since the beginning of time, like it or not, as artists or creators,
Starting point is 01:56:48 art has been critiqued. No matter what the format, the genre, the medium, the release format, that's kind of part of why we do shit, honestly, is good or bad,
Starting point is 01:57:00 let's see what people think about this shit. Even podcasting, that's in our form. We don't do this up here to listen to it ourselves. Otherwise, we never put it out. Correct, that's true. Yo, once y'all put it out, it don't belong to you no more, yo.
Starting point is 01:57:14 That's it. Artists, when you put the album out, it belongs to us now. It belongs to the fans and the consumers of music. It's for them to do whatever the fuck they feel like doing to the music. See, that's kind of how I feel as a paying customer.
Starting point is 01:57:28 Hey, if I bought this, I can critique it. If I went to go see this movie, I bought a ticket. If I love the movie, I can talk about it. If I don't, if I hate the movie, I have that exact same right to say, hey, I hate this movie. I don't know why today's rappers
Starting point is 01:57:43 have made a movie. That's the other thing they say, oh, people hate this movie. I don't know why today's rappers- I don't have to have made a movie. Why are they trying to move the goalposts? That's the other thing. They say, oh, people are critiquing things that you've never made. So what? So what? I don't have to make it. I know what I like and what I don't like.
Starting point is 01:57:53 Yeah. That's it. It's called being a connoisseur. Not just that. It's called being a consumer. Niggas don't condemn the praise. Right. That's the thing.
Starting point is 01:58:01 Like, yo, you don't condemn the praise. If you got a million niggas praising your shit you don't say yo don't praise my shit just enjoy it you know what I mean keep it to yourself so when people are giving you accolades
Starting point is 01:58:11 and praise for your for your art which you know it's your art it's dope I hope you but artists create art to give to the world
Starting point is 01:58:18 correct so when you give it to the world the entire world may or may not like your shit that's just the truth of the matter
Starting point is 01:58:24 and if I bought your shit like they tell us nigga i paid for patreon nigga i could say whatever the fuck i want you can't say nothing to that it's a reason that there's a forum for people to leave comments you can't say nothing to that whether you agree with them or you disagree with them it's the same thing with art you don't say shit when a million niggas get on the thing and say your shit slaps this is the best project since whatever whatever whatever you don't say shit when a million niggas get on a thing and say, yo, your shit slaps. This is the best project since. Whatever, whatever, whatever. You don't say nothing. So when that same fan critiques your shit, you gotta shut up. That's my opinion.
Starting point is 01:58:52 I agree. I agree. If you don't want your shit to be critiqued, don't put it out. Keep it. That's it. You mad, yo. I'm tight. Knock it down. I'm gonna take a break. I'm going to sit outside. All right. Got to play some shit to feel better now since Parks got me all pissed off.
Starting point is 01:59:11 Sorry, I'm sorry. No, it's fucking too late now. Fuck out of here. Do it for the old folks. Oh! Oh! Oh! I was down south. What do you want me to do? No, you're right. I was down south. I you want me to do?
Starting point is 01:59:26 I was down south, I didn't know this was my auntie's jam. They go crazy when they hear this. I slept. I slept. They go crazy. I know this is one of them things, but it's different when you... Hey! Hey!
Starting point is 01:59:40 Hey! This bullshit is hot when all your family is dancing to it. Hey! This bullshit is hot when all your family is dancing to it. What you say, Ish? What you say? I was talking to a fella. I know, we on the podcast. Yeah, but it's Mike. You fade to talk.
Starting point is 02:00:02 Mike in front of you. What you say? I think that he might have implied that it's nice when the thickies, you know, put that one on too. Yeah, there it's Mike. You pay to talk. Mike in front of you. What'd you say? I think that he might have implied that it's nice when the thickies put that one on, too. Yeah. Thank you. Hey. Wobble, too. Well, the thickies were my cousins.
Starting point is 02:00:12 What do you say? Of course they were. I couldn't. I said, or. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, but you was down south, though, so. Yeah. What Flip said.
Starting point is 02:00:20 That was fucked up. That was fucked up. Flip is on sick, too. Don't do that to Flip. Don't try to put Flip in no mess. Shout was fucked up. Flip is on sick too. Don't do that to Flip. Don't try to put Flip in no mess. Shout out to Flip.
Starting point is 02:00:28 Hey! That little hip, that little hip start bopping. Mel, you old enough to get jiggy to that. I don't know why you sitting there still. You don't know that song?
Starting point is 02:00:44 Why you squirting your face off? I do know that song. Line dancing's really not my thing. I don't know why you sitting there still. You don't know that song? Why are you scratching your face off? I do know that song. Line dancing's really not my thing. We didn't say nothing about line dancing. Word. It is a form of. Thank you. Wait, what's a form of?
Starting point is 02:00:53 The wobble baby. The wobble baby. That's a line dance? Yeah. Electric slide. Electric slide, cha-cha. That's a line dance? Yeah.
Starting point is 02:00:59 You're not a line dancer? No, it's not really my thing. She can't. Really? She can't what? Canada. Canada. She's Canadian. Really? She can't what? Canada. Oh, she's Canadian. What are you talking about?
Starting point is 02:01:10 Oh, we can see that lack of rhythm. Lowry's down there. Yeah, that's true. That's true. Get in your. That's true. If Mel can't get jiggy when this come on, then I'm about to say something that the comments be saying.
Starting point is 02:01:25 Nah, Mel, hold up. They playing with you now. The haters blow in the face like guns up. Show them how it's done, man. Wait, this? She's unmoved. This what she doing? Mel ain't twisted a hip or none of that.
Starting point is 02:01:38 Popped a foot. That's nothing. You doing Pilates for what if you can't get up and do a little? I could dance on it. I don't two-step. Y'all looking at something like a shoe. Dog, I danced last episode.
Starting point is 02:01:50 What are you talking about? I always get up and dance. Oh, I wasn't here for that. I missed that. That was trash. That was trash. That was trash, man. That was trash.
Starting point is 02:02:02 All right. They're pulling Dwight Howard out the closet again. Oh, man. Come on, let's get to it. Shocker. They're pulling Dwight Howard out of the closet. Dwight Howard has revealed that he did, in fact, meet up with the gentleman from Instagram
Starting point is 02:02:16 who told us that he met up with Dwight Howard from an Instagram DM. Dwight Howard is confirming that he did meet said gentleman, but he's saying none of the sexual acts that were described transpired. All right. Okay. We can know how that is sometimes when you meet him in person. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:02:35 Keep going. It's not hitting what you thought it was going to be hitting for. You know what I mean? You got cat. You got. Dude fish. Fish fish. You got dude fish.
Starting point is 02:02:43 You got dude fish. Cock fish. Yeah fish Cock fish Cock fish Alright I see what you did there Yeah like What are you talking about Dwight I'm not meeting some strange guy Off of the gram
Starting point is 02:03:00 For what Coffee You all gonna share a beer I was gonna share something else You got it bro No this is Instagram for what? Coffee. Y'all going to share a beer? I was going to share something else. You got it, bro. No, this is, it's resulted in, I think, Dwight facing some charges. Oh.
Starting point is 02:03:15 Yeah. For what? Well, per the exclusive, Dwight Howard is accused of assault, battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and false imprisonment. Oh, you... So I feel like... I don't know if you can say that. I'm not sure that you can do that. Not when dude is a victim. Oh, you're doing the victim thing again, you do.
Starting point is 02:03:37 Oh, shit. You don't fuck with victims. Oh, hiccup narrative guy. You don't fuck with victims. Hiccup narrative guy. Hiccup narrative guy. Don't touch it. You spun Hiccup narrative guy. Yeah, hiccup narrative guy. Don't start this. He spun that.
Starting point is 02:03:46 You spun that one fast. Hey, we're right by the rim. Yo, pause. I see him at the pause. Maybe. Yeah. Yo, oh, man. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:03:59 I think that him admitting this is him trying to get in front of it because these accusations are being made. Yo. Sorry. I don't know. Or behind it. Or behind it. Or put it behind him. Put it behind him.
Starting point is 02:04:10 Yeah, but definitely trying to get in front of the accusation and let it be known that this was consensual. Wobble, baby, wobble. You see his big ass? He wasn't wobbling, look at him. You see his big ass up there like this. Hey. What if this came on when Dwight invited dude up in there?
Starting point is 02:04:34 Wait a minute. Wobble, baby. Wobble, baby. Man, you're so trash. What? I think it's so trash that you ain't give us a little two-step to this. I do. I'm judging you for it.
Starting point is 02:04:42 You don't know how to do this dance? I'm judging. But we didn't ask for that dance. We asked for a little old mama two-step. Nah, shit. Why I'm judging you for it. You don't know how to do this dance? I'm judging. But we didn't ask for that dance. We asked for a little old mama two-step. Nah, shit wack if you don't know how to do the dance, man. I feel very put on the spot right now.
Starting point is 02:04:51 That's cool. I have gotten up and danced too. Hmm? Respect. You ain't do it to that. But I mean, it's cool. I didn't. It's not.
Starting point is 02:04:59 How do y'all feel about people trying to constantly pull Dwight Howard out the closet? I think it's fucked up. I'm going to laugh, but it is fucked up. It does seem fucked up. It is fucked up.
Starting point is 02:05:11 You can't out him, especially at seven foot one, half a tall he is. You can't out the guy. Well, I'm not. Why can't you out people? My thing is this. I think that,
Starting point is 02:05:23 no, no, no. That's his business. I think that when you kind of put yourself in those positions or predicaments, no pun intended, you kind of take it. That was a pun intended. It wasn't. Yes, it was. It was not. Big pun.
Starting point is 02:05:36 You got to go back to school. No, I'm just saying, like, I don't think it's necessarily outing him. The person is outing their business. No, he outing him. He outing him. That's outing him. Yeah. No, he ain't outing him. He outing him. That's outing him. Yeah. We don't know for sure, but
Starting point is 02:05:51 if it's not Dwight Howard and it's just random dude across the street, do you think he... So that's why it's outing him. True. I stand corrected. It seems fine. And it's outing him because if I fucked you and nobody knows that I fucked guys and you're the one that tells people, hey, he's fucking guys, that's outing. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:06:13 I said I stand corrected. Let me ask you guys a question. Shoot. Hi. The fact that I'm sitting around such evolved men, maybe this will not apply. Knock it off. Knock it off, mama. Okay, try to think like every man.
Starting point is 02:06:32 Does your perception of your sports heroes change should you find out that they're gay? No. No. Okay. Okay. Okay. I don't care about that. No, get out, yo.
Starting point is 02:06:44 You tried it. No. You tried, yo. You tried it. No! You did try it. What if we just say yes? Then what? Then we're looked at like utter idiots and fools by our viewing audience. And then that's you putting us
Starting point is 02:06:58 not in the best position to win. But if somebody wasn't smart enough to have the right answer. No, but I don't think that that's out of the realm of possibility for a lot of men. I think that a lot of men would regard their heroes if they found out that they were homosexual or participated in homosexuality. I think you're wrong. This is one of my favorite things to do after watching Dateline is watch the old 80s and 90s NBA players and figure out who's gay and wasn't telling have you come to a conclusion about some I can do your list but that would be outing people okay I give you a whole list of people that
Starting point is 02:07:33 100% were hiding the fact that they were gay in the league but that is outing you know what we care about what I was specifically our sports heroes you know are they winning us championships mm-hmm when they got when they're on our favorite team are y'all getting the job done? Hey, look how you just connected that for a Knicks fan. Want me to tell you about what a lot of people were screaming at Charles Smith when he missed those playoffs? Oh, shit.
Starting point is 02:07:53 Because I can tell you, it wasn't all basketball related. Okay, so question. Okay, so question. So then why... Charles Smith. So then why do athletes hide it? Melissa Ford, what are you trying to do right now? You... Why does athletes hide it? Melissa Ford, what are you trying to do right now? Why does anybody hide it? Why do people hide it, Melissa Ford?
Starting point is 02:08:11 I think that there's a perception of hyper-masculinity as it relates to sports in particular. I think it would also get awkward, potentially, if you are in a locker room changing in such. It's probably not a comfortable situation. But when you're at the gym and you're changing in the locker room changing in such, it's probably not a comfortable situation. But when you're at the gym and you're changing in the locker room, what's the difference? You don't know who the fuck, you know? Melissa Ford, you gotta be good.
Starting point is 02:08:32 Come on, yo. Come on. Come on, yo. Don't make me be the one to say it. Are you serious right now? It's an education for a woman. Do it later. I'm good.
Starting point is 02:08:44 Oh, I thought you were just going to tell me to it later. I'm good. Oh, I thought you were going to tell me to do it. I'm good. Okay, fine, fine, fine, fine, fine. Salute. Fine. There you go. What is the difference between straight men in a locker room changing in front of each other? No.
Starting point is 02:08:58 A locker room where you don't know what somebody's sexual preferences are. If y'all want to have we can have you can have it you can't tell the difference in Oh! All the shorties in the club Let me see your chest Back it up You can't tell the difference in how a man would behave in a locker room not knowing the sexual preference of anyone in there versus how they would act and feel if they knew that somebody in there were homosexual. That gay guy that they did the whole Netflix doc on, he got to leave. What did he go to? Penn State? I forgot his name. Was his name Sam or something?
Starting point is 02:09:49 Sam something. He had a job for all of four days. There was another football player, actually. The Raiders. I thought it was the Rams he went to. I think the one you're talking about went to the Rams. Rams. Oh, then Sam went to the Rams.
Starting point is 02:10:03 Rams are the Chargers. But there was another one. There's another one, too. Yeah, there's another one. Yeah, he's a linebacker, I want to say. Yeah, and he held that job for five and a half weeks. I'm exaggerating
Starting point is 02:10:12 or playing with the numbers, but this could affect not only your livelihood, but your profession. But if you guys as fans don't care, why should their teammates care? Because us as fans, we only look at, we don't have to.
Starting point is 02:10:27 And fans do care. We answer that question that way. From our perspective. But many fans. That's true. And that's what I was asking. They care and they get people scream obscenities at them and just really foul. Whatever foul there is to scream at somebody as an athlete, they've heard it.
Starting point is 02:10:45 Yeah, true. Carl Nasset. Carl Nasset. If you could protect yourself from somebody, I would. True. I remember going to, Allen Iverson was in college.
Starting point is 02:10:55 I remember going to Georgetown games and they're like, you fucking jailbird. Go back to prison, you fuck. Like, you know what I'm saying? Like, people will say anything.
Starting point is 02:11:03 A thing just came out. Weaponized. Right, two weeks ago, some texas players i think were in auburn and they were dancing because they was whipping the ass and they was telling them yo go back to the projects the fans are yelling go back to the projects go back to the fucking projects so anything that somebody can use to um insult you or to hurt you from the opposing team. What the Boston Celtics used to be saying in the old Boston Garden was worse than that. So you would hide that, again, for your own sanity, maybe. Listen, look no further than right here.
Starting point is 02:11:38 I got on the internet playing around one day, and now every time there's a blog post about me and the people want to say something hateful they go right there you gay ass don't he play for the other team don't he like dick in it they get crazy over there that is true they just saying shit to try to be hurtful
Starting point is 02:11:55 yeah I could see how that would not be the best experience but Dwight Howard you can't invite these niggas over while your kid is sleeping in the other room on the late night and leave a paper trail. You just can't. You got to go about sucking dick in a different. That is not how you.
Starting point is 02:12:12 That's not how you suck dick privately is what I'm saying. And actually, I don't know how to suck dick private. All right. It's just a wild. Oh, so you only know how to do it publicly. Just a wild conversation to have only know How to do it publicly Oh shit Just a wild conversation To have Prayers to all
Starting point is 02:12:29 Prayers Prayers to all And stop sneaking around Seven feet gay Seven feet gay Is different That ain't the same gay That's rarefied air
Starting point is 02:12:42 Up there And Cause you get on your knees and be at somebody's neck still. Yo. Hey, bro. What, you can't get on his knees and be eye-level with nothing?
Starting point is 02:12:53 You got to get on all fours to do it. Now you a dog. Oh, shit. Oh, my God. The visuals are crazy. I'm sorry. You know a nigga's favorite position? You stand up, you bring Shorty to the edge of the bed.
Starting point is 02:13:06 If you seven feet, dog, what you doing? She be way down here. Yo, that's crazy. I need to buy a mattress, too. Shout out to Dwight Allen, man. Go ahead. Go ahead with your bandsaw. Brian McKnight changed his name.
Starting point is 02:13:20 Oh? Huh? Oh? Yes. Brian McKnight changed his name. To the name of his newborn. Brian McKnight changed his name. To the name of his newborn. Brian McKnight, then? Kind of.
Starting point is 02:13:31 It got some middle words in the middle. Listen, he tried to get those kids that he didn't want, that he don't want to change their name. Right. Because he didn't want his name to have nothing to do with them. They want to hold on to the name and trash the nigga. That's their right. But the only way around that
Starting point is 02:13:49 is for me to change my name to distance myself from you fucking kids that I had with the family that I don't want today. Holy shit. That's dedication. That's the petty king right there. Oh, I went and found out about some of that in my family.
Starting point is 02:14:17 What? Oh, man. as dedication that's the petty king right oh I went and found out about somebody had in my family and what I'm here it's not about my family but just from some of the families that was common back in the day no no no not talking about the side kid but but to deny that kid. I'm talking about to not even acknowledge that that kid is a thing. Yeah, that's true. Niggas was foul back in the day. You little internet keyboard warriors. Wouldn't have seen a chance.
Starting point is 02:14:36 Y'all wouldn't have gotten none of this. Nah. Y'all wouldn't understand it. They wouldn't. They just denied it all. The whole kid. Kid be grown. Nope.
Starting point is 02:14:42 Nope. Looked just like you. Same face. Looked just like you. Nah be grown. Nope. Look just like you. Look just like you. Same face. Look just like you. Never seen him. Nope. And I'm trying to get out of these arrears that they're talking about. They're talking about back pay, retroactive arrears.
Starting point is 02:14:55 Stupid, yo. They crack my father head open, boy, with that one. I was too young to understand it with my little brother. Really? Yeah, man. Add it up. Go ahead, add it Really? Add it up. Add it up and pay it up. No way around it.
Starting point is 02:15:12 I just opened my file the other day to see when my child support stopped. It's coming. When it stopped? May. May. Should have stopped already. Nah, he went to college. He dropped out? I know, but I didn't call and report it. I ain't snitching my baby There you go
Starting point is 02:15:26 I ain't snitch That's shady Let me go ahead And just pay a little bit of money Let me protect my baby But the date right there In bold letters May
Starting point is 02:15:36 Rich nigga talk 2024 Over I was like Let me go ahead And let them get A last little Six months of this Go ahead and get that Go ahead I was gonna call and fight go ahead and let them get a last little six months of this.
Starting point is 02:15:45 Go ahead and get that. Go ahead. I was going to call and fight. Oh, you know what? Go ahead and live for six months. Because this May, 23, my baby, 23. I'm out of here. Can you imagine that?
Starting point is 02:15:57 I made a 23-year-old. These kids grow up and become shit. Yeah. Become their own person. Yeah, with thoughts and ideas about things. Yeah, go Brian McKnight, man. Get away from the shit. Brian McKnight.
Starting point is 02:16:14 We ain't coming here to really talk about Kirk Franklin's dad. Y'all never came here to talk about the Savior Complex. We got a few things that we just never got to. I'll do the Kirk Franklin dad thing later. I want to go, because that was deep. That was deep. What else? What else what else what i'm gonna ask y'all um oh speaking of kids oh speaking of kids uh it was a big thing because michael irvin went on tv and ratted out his kid yeah michael irvin's son is a rapper i don't know his name something took took something find his name so we got you give him some credit here michael irvin's son is a
Starting point is 02:16:43 rapper michael irvin went on is a rapper michael irvin went on tv saying i don't know what my son is rapping about in them songs he come from he come from a nice home and a gated community tut tut tarantino tut tarantino uh i i heard some clips of him dude is going he sounds good but he certainly is not rapping like I was a star wide receivers. Like I was a multi multi-millionaire son that came from privilege and probably went to some of the best schools in the country. And you know what? I don't like that came from privilege thing. I don't.
Starting point is 02:17:18 And they mentioned it now with this story. Because you come from privilege don't mean that you can opt to that. It depends on the subject matter of your shit. This guy could have ran off and just opted to live a different life away from all this providing that Michael Irvin was doing. One. Two, we don't know the status of their relationship. We don't know how much about this young man Michael Irvin even knows about. He was on TV sounding shocked at this. Yeah, insert Michael Irvin saying, no, nigga, when you turned 15, you had a Benz from my pocket.
Starting point is 02:17:57 You didn't sell no Skag to get it. You wasn't busting your gun. You wasn't coming from the bottom, got it from the mud. No, nigga, that was my mud on my jersey that got you all that shit. Even if that's true, why is he going on television to say that?
Starting point is 02:18:09 Because it makes you as a parent now from your peer group look like, damn, your son is on... Nigga, if you had a daughter... Give me an example
Starting point is 02:18:19 of what you're saying. I'm about to change it. You're on your 900th example of the episode. So what? Give it to me. If you had a kid and your kid is now talking about they had all of these hard life conditions that you bust your ass to not have them go through, it's almost insulting.
Starting point is 02:18:35 Yeah. You get what I'm saying? I would agree with that. You also want hate on your kid if he's getting his shit off. I don't agree with that. You don't think that's insulting to you as a parent? It's insulting if the kid is running around with this in his regular speech and just talking and
Starting point is 02:18:49 telling people what is she saying. Once it's in the music, it is art. It is art. So my son is trying to do whatever he gotta do to get his art popping and he could be lying. Most of these rappers lie. Why are you gonna come and uncover the lie
Starting point is 02:19:05 before I even get my foot in the door? But niggas are saying R for sex life. Ain't nobody even know I was your kid. Maybe I wasn't going to tell nobody
Starting point is 02:19:11 I was your son. Maybe I was trying to go about... Hey, Coily Ray said, yo, any relation to my dad kind of hindered me early on. I was trying to carve my own way.
Starting point is 02:19:21 Shit, my son came up here and said, yo, I'm trying to carve my own way. The kids be wanting to carve their own way. Say what Denzel's son, he changed his whole, I'm trying to carve my own way. The kids be wanting to carve their own way. Say what Denzel's son, he changed his whole name.
Starting point is 02:19:27 Exactly. Yeah, I don't agree with Michael Irvin doing that. I don't. Even though he's right in his message. I don't agree with you blowing the spot on your kid.
Starting point is 02:19:36 It depends on- Your kid got a shot. He sounds good. I think it depends on the subject matter of your songs. And you ain't no regular fucking dad.
Starting point is 02:19:43 You on TV. You're on TV saying to millions of people, hey, he's lying. That ain't it. Can we hear a clip?
Starting point is 02:19:53 I'll pull up something. Because I think that's the most important piece on whether I'm going to agree with you or not. Why?
Starting point is 02:19:58 He's lying. Why? He's lying in the clip. Don't be talking about your soul no drugs. Don't be talking about you had
Starting point is 02:20:03 this hard life. I bust my ass for you to not to have the hard life. I bust my ass for you to not to have the hard life. And you also gotta think about it what generation Michael Irving comes from where rap lyrics
Starting point is 02:20:12 reflected an accurate reality. That's what they say. Whereas nowadays it doesn't. Nowadays it doesn't happen. And you ain't see it from your window. Here's a little whip work from 2021.
Starting point is 02:20:22 Do it. Do it, single out here. can't wait that's why i'll be lying when i'll be saying a really paid i've been getting money since way back when i was a seventh grade serving i was trying to run me up some pants i was trying to add up my told me he got a little stain on his career have you heard have you heard enough he's saying i'm crazy he just said he said he was selling grams but but he could have. He could have been selling grams. Yeah, he could have. At private school. Definitely. Nigga, you saw power? Mm-hmm.
Starting point is 02:21:09 That's what the region was doing. Whip your fucking ass, nigga. Dog, you don't have a regular dad. Your dad is on the airwaves saying this shit. And what bothers me about it, not exactly my business. So you care more about the father saying he lying
Starting point is 02:21:27 than the son saying I was selling grams? Yes. You fucking crazy. Nigga, that's a reflection on you saying you selling grams is a reflection on me. What if he sold grams?
Starting point is 02:21:36 Ish. It's still a reflection on me? Ish, let me tell you. What if he sold grams and that's his story? Your opinion to me is some 60s, 70s dad type shit. Cool.
Starting point is 02:21:47 It is. That's fine. As somebody that was a kid rapping, I was lying in my raps. All the rappers lie in their raps. OK. That was my right. They don't really clap to it. That's my right.
Starting point is 02:22:01 True. That's my artistic freedom of speech right to lie in my music true as a way to create not only uh an alter identity for myself but create the path for myself that i want to make true he should be able to do those things without his famous best one of the best wide receiver ever head-ass dad blowing up the spot. Does he get to do that at your expense? Huh? Does he get to tell those lies at your expense?
Starting point is 02:22:33 Y'all say that? The answer is yes. He does get to tell those lies at his expense, one. And two, how many people knew that this kid was Michael Irvin's son before Michael Irvin went on and said his rap name? Answer my question, please. I don't know. Yes.
Starting point is 02:22:49 I can't answer any. A lot less than when he announced it. Correct. Right? So now you putting that light on your son for people, for discovery. Correct. You are enabling discovery. It's possible.
Starting point is 02:23:01 Correct. So either you want it or you don't. Why wouldn't you enable the discovery button to help not to hinder your kid? But we could agree to disagree because I'm viewing it different. The same way you saying him artistically gets to lie. The parent can get up there and say, yo, he lying. Fuck you talking about? It's the same thing. You have a right to lie and i have a right
Starting point is 02:23:26 to say you lying but you're not what you're not working hand and you you can't do that you doing that is not you working hand in hand to help your child pursue their dreams cool that you you doing that is self-serving as a parent and you you doing that as a parent to protect nothing but you first of all if you was that if you was that worried about the shit, if you—no, no, I'm going to take it back. If you're that much of an upstanding dad, then these lies ain't about to penetrate or do no real damage to nothing. Your kid is lying. Niggas know that you've been rich his whole life. Niggas got to use context clues.
Starting point is 02:24:01 Let your kid get their shit off in hip-hop. The only reason why I'm not as I was on your side For a minute But Like you said Nobody knew this
Starting point is 02:24:11 Was his son It ain't like I'm sitting here saying My parents wasn't shit I did this that Like you didn't do None of that From what I heard
Starting point is 02:24:18 I mean I'm pretty sure He has other music That wasn't that bad That wasn't that bad That wasn't that bad Outside Like he said I sold grams He could have went to The best private school't that bad. Like he said, I sold grams. He could have
Starting point is 02:24:25 went to the best private school on the planet and sold a couple grams. And sold grams. He could have done that, bro. Everything else he said, I had money since this age. I've been doing this. All that's true, probably. All could be true. I'm not mad at any of that. Again, contingent upon the subject matter of the raps, I stand
Starting point is 02:24:42 on one side of the fence or the other. Depending on what the boy is discussing and what he's talking about, as a parent, you don't want your kid sitting up, it's a reflection on you. What are we talking about?
Starting point is 02:24:51 Hey, we saw Beans had the verse on Where Have You Been off of the Dynasty album. One of probably best verses ever to me. Easily one of his best verses. That's what you're talking about
Starting point is 02:25:03 the food stamps was white? Yeah. His relationship with his dad. His money daddy was white and his dad had a problem with that and actually they ended up having a kid like yo it wasn't as bad as you made it seem to be now that could be the way he took it but i'm just saying your your version or your story you are allowed to say now if somebody with with um michael irving's, we don't even know that that's your son, so I'm not shitting on my dad. I feel issues, parentate. Listen, my mom, when she heard some of my verses early on, she had the same reaction, which was, why are you talking like you came from some poor shit? Nigga, you say that now.
Starting point is 02:25:42 You say your mother says that now. Today, you 40 years old like nigga don't be acting like we was just thugging it nigga you went to some good schools you live in some good neighborhoods no ish i totally understand your point i receive your point all i'm i just think that how you feel as a parent has to take a back seat sometimes to how you to the dream that your child wants to pursue and how they go about doing it. Like sometimes that ain't the time for them to fucking come out and sing your story or talk about you the best or do anything that's comforting to you. It's my turn now.
Starting point is 02:26:18 You had a whole life of fame and your job don't require you to say nothing about rap. True. and your job don't require you to say nothing about rap. True. Your job does not require you to get on national television and start talking about your old ass perception of hip hop. Now let's advance it though. Do you think that this is bad? Do you think him going on there and saying that shit is bad for his son's career? Because I don't know what it is.
Starting point is 02:26:41 I don't know that it will be bad because after the initial response a lot of people on the internet came to the son's defense uh hey dog that was fucked up and you maybe you may not be as close listening to you on tv maybe you're not as close to your son as you think you are and maybe there's some things you don't know about yeah hey i don't like all of these things could be. I don't think it's bad like that because one, that record wasn't bad. Yeah, he got talent. He sounded like he got talent.
Starting point is 02:27:08 That record wasn't bad. Sound like he might have made something of himself. We know a lot of these niggas is lying. People don't care about the lie as much as today as they did years ago.
Starting point is 02:27:17 So if you could put some slaps out, that other shit don't really matter too much today. You made your fucking millions already, dad. You're still making them. Good, but you're cemented. My lie for me is more valuable
Starting point is 02:27:30 than your truth. You got it already. Move out the fucking way now. Move. Don't talk about me. So let me ask you a question. Just, just, just, we could,
Starting point is 02:27:39 right after this, we could progress the conversation. So, Michael Irvin is still taking on ad deals, taking on jobs, taking on whatever. So now when you go in somebody's office and they start asking you about your quote-unquote drug dealer son or your quote-unquote gangster son that's doing all these things and saying all these things in these raps, now when they present that to you, we forget that Michael Irvin is a black man in America.
Starting point is 02:28:02 Now what do you say to that? Don't nobody want to have those conversations. And that's where you lost me. Only because nobody brings that argument up. He never said nothing. And Michael Irvin is not the black man walking in offices that needs to be explained to people. Michael Irvin is Michael Irvin. The jobs that he get, he get it on the work that he has done.
Starting point is 02:28:23 He ain't getting it off nothing he got to say in the office. If they ain't in the office, he walking with people who don't know who he is. This don't apply to him. We're not talking about that. We're talking about how your son was reared. You just said if my... That's not coming up to Michael Irvin in no office. I disagree.
Starting point is 02:28:35 All right, we can move forward. We can agree to disagree. Yeah, I don't think it is. It ain't. All right. Michael Irvin is too accomplished for him to not get a job because of his son's rap no no i'm not buying it or lose one yeah i'm not i'm not today i'm not rolling with that one um but salute and good luck good luck good luck to his son y'all know what it is in hip-hop where you know you cut try to come across as you come from a certain background. Of course. And then we
Starting point is 02:29:05 find out that you didn't. That could be career ending. That's really why I have the take that I have. Like, he sounds talented so he'll be fine, but what if he wasn't? Like, what if you just stepped on some shit early? So you don't think, stay there. I am.
Starting point is 02:29:21 Now to your point. So you don't think if this boy's career took off it was not going to be discovered that he's Michael Irvin's son yes of course it would cool so now also that's going to now bring in was you really getting it like you said you was getting it the question you're basically saying that the questions would be inevitable you just said yo dog the authenticity your career could be over based on your lack of authenticity. So now once as you grow up in this career and you skyrocket, Michael Irvin's son is climbing up the charts. Pretending that issue's right,
Starting point is 02:29:52 in the event that it is inevitable, do it when I'm established. Let those questions come up after I've gained a core audience and a fan base. Don't do it when nobody in the world knows who the fuck I am and I'm just trying to find my footing. That's crazy to me. That's fair.
Starting point is 02:30:08 Yeah, I get that. Uh-oh, don't look now, you guys. I see some gender war stuff going on. And I just want to let y'all know that they tearing me up in the street. They are holding me responsible in the J.B.T.V. X Sunday talks for how often we do gender wars, how they feel about the gender war shit. Listen, they called me to carpet. I listen. Y'all have never heard Joe Budden introduce a topic specifically to gender war. That's not my thing. But we get passionate up here sometimes. And we have a list.
Starting point is 02:30:50 A list to do it. Come on. A list to do it. A list will always make you argue. We got a list. So what's the list? Come on. What list is it?
Starting point is 02:30:57 Hey, hey, you've never heard this one before. There is a list. Of what? Of places women absolutely refuse to go to on a first date. And I'm gathering that little Duvall is the one who created this list because it's on his page. We know that. No, no, no. Just read the list.
Starting point is 02:31:16 No, no. Hold on. Let me just preface it by saying this. And thank you to the ladies who reached out to me to help me make this list. And with it being on his page, that was the connection I made. That cleans it up. That's the only reason. But I don't know if it was him.
Starting point is 02:31:29 That being said, Cheesecake Factory is number one on the list. I'm just going to run through them. Applebee's, Chili's, Chipotle. Slow down. Whoa, whoa, whoa. Slow down. Applebee's has been a date. Let's slow down.
Starting point is 02:31:40 Cheesecake Factory has been a date. Cheesecake's been a date. They're saying first date. You can't go on a first date to these places. I've been to Cheesecake on a first date. I've been to Cheesecake's been a date. They're saying first date. You can't go on a first date to these places. I've been a cheesecake on a first date. I've been a cheesecake on a first date. Keep going. Okay.
Starting point is 02:31:50 What is this social media generation? Two young fuzz to talk about. We'll just do it. We're going to do it anyway. Applebee's. Chili's. Chipotle. Olive Garden.
Starting point is 02:32:02 Really? The movies. The movies is a date. Come on, fam. The movies is not a first date spot. Your house. Yes, it is. No, it's not. I agree with Joe. The movies is not a first date. You can't talk. You can't get to know the person. Second date, third date, yes. First date, no.
Starting point is 02:32:15 Now, you say, dinner and a movie, yeah, maybe, but a movie? The movie should not be your first date. The movie could be your first date today. But one of our go-to's. Yeah, today, maybe. One of our go-to's on there. Absolutely, today should be your first date. One of our go-to's on there? one of our go-tos. Yeah, today maybe. One of our go-tos is on there. It could be your first date. One of our go-tos is on there? Oh, then they're wrong.
Starting point is 02:32:27 I know. All right, but keep going. Your house. That's also a date. It's not a good first date. It's not a good first date at all. That's not a good first date at all. It's frightening.
Starting point is 02:32:35 If it's not a good date, then you need to go to HomeGoods and get your house together. No, that ain't a good date. No, meaning your house. The guy's house. Yeah. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 02:32:44 That's what I'm saying. That's been a first date before. Successful. That's the first date The guy's house. Yeah. Oh, yeah. That's what I'm saying. That's been a first date before. Successful. That's the first date most of the time. Nah. Really? It was. Hell no.
Starting point is 02:32:51 It was. Not today, but it was. Hell no. That has been a successful first date. Oh, that is a hard fucking pass. We got it, Judge Judy. Keep going. Okay.
Starting point is 02:32:58 Any fast food chain. Duh. Buffalo Wild Wings. Wing Stop. Red Lobster. A buffet. Look at the lion. IHOP. Denny's. The gym. Buffalo Wild Wings Wingstop Red Lobster A Buffet IHOP Denny's
Starting point is 02:33:08 The Gym That's weird Church Okay this is just somebody Trying to get like social media Church? Come on Yeah
Starting point is 02:33:14 Family Functions Somewhere that requires A long drive Bowling Bowling is a first date Bowling is absolutely A first date What are you talking about?
Starting point is 02:33:23 Bowling and pool Maybe the best Bowling pool comedy show Are the. What are you talking about? Bowling and pool. Bowling, pool, comedy show are the three best first date spots for me. Hookah bar. Hookah bar. What? All right, you got it. They tripping. They just trying to trigger us.
Starting point is 02:33:35 And I disagree with the long drive shit. That shit is smooth. Smooth. Don't let her love a road trip. That's fire. Fire. On a first date? A bar for just drinks. I'm like, wait, what? That's the first date. That's first date shit. That's fire. I agree. On a first date? A bar for just drinks.
Starting point is 02:33:46 I'm like, wait, what? The first date. That's first date shit. Great first date. Sporting events. Yeah, that's not my thing.
Starting point is 02:33:53 Again, for me, and let's put an asterisk next to sporting events. I'm going to tell you why, but I know why most of this shit is on the list.
Starting point is 02:33:59 Again, this is the social media generation. You can't get no fire IG pick off at any of those. That's what that shit is about. Because you're listing a bunch of restaurants, but you're not listing... Say less.
Starting point is 02:34:13 None of that type of shit. Where they want to go to get their picture off. That's all it says. You get some fire pictures of the bulletin. And if you had courtside seats, she's fine with that as a first date. That is true. That's why it's that as a first date. That is true. That's why it's an asterisk there. That is very, very true.
Starting point is 02:34:28 That's what this is. Well, depending on the seat she was on in the plane. I have DVDs for sale as soon as you exit. Stay right on the line. Some of my greatest bits are indeed available on that DVD, even some of tonight's. 34B. Okay, so church.
Starting point is 02:34:51 I thought that was like. That's a bad date. That's a. In what world is that ever? How is bowling a bad date? Oh, he triggered. How is hookah? No, no, no.
Starting point is 02:34:59 How is hookah a bad date? Like some of the stuff that they're saying is stupid. Those are places that you go, you sit down, you converse. Because bowling and hookah are cheap. Yeah, like a lot of shit was money based. I'm telling you what this is. And to be keeping a buck, we are in a privileged state where we can afford better shit than Cheesecake Factory, Applebee's, whatever the case may be. But when you start going to other states, nigga, that's norm.
Starting point is 02:35:25 That's what they got. Yeah, no, I'm booking me a reservation. I just found out they got Maestro's in the city. I did not know that. What's Maestro's? You didn't know they had Maestro's in the city? Maestro's in New York? What's Maestro's?
Starting point is 02:35:34 You serious? It's a steakhouse. I only go out there. It's at like 51st and 6th Avenue? Should have been there. Say less. Get it? No, I'm booking me.
Starting point is 02:35:45 There's a few really nice New York restaurants. A ton that just the rappers don't talk about. Hundreds. Check with me. These rappers don't know how to eat good. The rappers are waiting to be told the hot spot, so they can go to the hot spot and tell everybody else about the hot spot. They're waiting for their A&R to pull out the little credit card for the label
Starting point is 02:36:02 and get some Mr. Childs or some shit, some old school shit. Once the industry find out about something, they can't eat nowhere else for the label and get some Mr. Chow's and some shit. Some old school shit. Once the industry find out about something, they can't eat nowhere else for the next 30 years. Exactly. Until another new hot spot come in.
Starting point is 02:36:12 Until another new hot spot. Yeah. Big Mel, Mr. Chow's fixture. Mm-hmm. Did you see the doc, Doc God? Oh, Mr. Chow?
Starting point is 02:36:20 I didn't know there was one. There is. It's called AKA Mr. Chow's and I watched it. She got you. Oh, you watched some real There is. It's called AKA Mr. Chow's, and I watched it. She got you. You watched some real loser talk. Now it's a loser talk.
Starting point is 02:36:28 Now it's a loser talk. Can you wait to see it first? He's lived a fascinating life. He's been married like four or five times. It's on HBO. Well, sorry, Max. Oh. Max Duffy, you see?
Starting point is 02:36:40 You slipping, Joe. You slipping. I call Cap. You call Cap. I'm calling Cap. Please, please. I'm calling Cap right now. Please, Ice, check it out. I'm saying? You slipping, Joe. You slipping. I call Cap. You call Cap. I'm calling Cap. Please, please. I'm calling Cap right now. Please, Ice, check it out.
Starting point is 02:36:48 I'm calling Cap. Okay. Okay. That shit is not there. That is not there. On Max? No. No.
Starting point is 02:36:56 A.K.A. Mr. Chow, HBO on Max. And it's HBO. Ooh. And it's by HBO. Smoke your boots. You know what I mean? So it's not on Max.
Starting point is 02:37:04 Yes. HBO. Don't do that, yo. Don't do that. No, no. You can't semantic your way out of that one. I got HBO. Smoke your boots. You know what I mean? So it's not on Max. Yes. HBO. Don't do that, yo. Don't do that. No, no, you can't semantically get away out of that one. I got him. She got you.
Starting point is 02:37:10 She got me. And it is fascinating. It's a really good doc. You know, HBO does it, so I wouldn't put it past them. Tells you the history of the restaurant. You've been on Mel Dick
Starting point is 02:37:17 this episode. Meet up, nigga. Oh, man. They read a couple comments and now you trying to be kind. That's definitely not it nigga they investigate they be
Starting point is 02:37:27 shut up yo nine months nigga so I want to ask y'all a question sure nope yeah I'm asking anyway it's more of a business question so
Starting point is 02:37:38 you know Caffeine and URL was doing the battles over there I noticed that there's a battle coming up on caffeine, but it's not URL. Okay. It's a jazz and twerk. So I want to get your thoughts on what it looked like, especially ish,
Starting point is 02:37:58 what it looks like. Caffeine actually bringing in the battle rap community and now doing their own battles. Using URL to bring them in, but now using their own battles. Like making their own battles without them. It looks smart. You think that's smart? What are you supposed to do?
Starting point is 02:38:14 No, it is smart. It's definitely smart. You disagree? You think it's shady? I think it's shady. I mean, the two could be, they could both be equally true. Be true at the same time.
Starting point is 02:38:24 Yeah, yeah. Here come moral, man. No, it's shady I mean the two could be they could both be equally true yeah yeah here come moral man no it's like saying yo it's like saying Spotify got Joe Button's whole entire population of fan base
Starting point is 02:38:32 to come over to Spotify and now we drop Spotify but we keep the fan base I mean now we drop Joe Button but we keep the fan base it's what everybody is doing there's no there's no
Starting point is 02:38:41 yeah the two could be on the same boat but it's it could the two could be on the same boat. It could be smart and shady at the same time. You use, I mean, you use URL
Starting point is 02:38:50 to bring the people over and bring the fan base over and now we learn whatever we learn. Now we're going to have our own battles being brought to you by That's the part that I want
Starting point is 02:38:58 to highlight for people. That part right there that you just said. Because it's a misconception. It's a misconception out there that you just said because it's it's a misconception out it's a misconception out there that when person or company is paid a large large lump sum like smack was paid from caffeine it's it's a total it's total bs that you think they're paid for services rendered it's not.
Starting point is 02:39:25 They pay for information. No, that's it. Audience. Information. But you get that. But the services rendered that you're negotiating so hard for, that is not what this big check is for.
Starting point is 02:39:36 The big check is for us to see how you're doing it. Learn it. Yeah, learn it. Hell, we might even bring some of y'all to work over here. I've seen that happen quite a few times see if we can sustain it
Starting point is 02:39:47 and do the same and implement it so that's what I was going to ask we only paying you to show us how to do it we don't plan on paying you for too long
Starting point is 02:39:55 but we should be able to do this without you after a year and a half cool so here so why I don't think
Starting point is 02:40:02 it's shady at all shout out to Caffrey you know but um you're begging no I'm not begging Cool. So why I don't think it's shady at all. Shots of caffeine, you know. You're begging. No, I'm not begging. I'm already over there. You can still beg if you dare. I have to beg.
Starting point is 02:40:16 Unless you don't want no more money from places that you are already on. It's not begging. It's not begging. Tapping. Can I speak, sir? Can I speak, my nigga? Shucking. Never. Never.
Starting point is 02:40:28 Stick up for the man. Stick up for the man. Hey, caffeine. Hey, shuck. Hey, listen. But anyway, if we have a deal and I have been made whole through my deal. I got everything I wanted in my deal. If the company decides, hey dog,
Starting point is 02:40:50 like we ended on a good note. Like you got, we did what we said we were going to do. You perform the way you said we want to perform. We don't want to continue this going forward. But we did learn some shit that we could do it on our own. Where's the shadiness? Because you did get what you were supposed to get.
Starting point is 02:41:03 I think it's only shady if somebody got snaked I don't like to talk about shady with Ish because he always comes from like the moral side no but that's ain't that how we define
Starting point is 02:41:15 shady shit shady is based on morality I don't think it's shady I think that it could it could be it could be manipulative it could be um opportunistic it could be a bunch of other things that don't necessarily mean that somebody did something
Starting point is 02:41:33 wrong you could still be um again if i bring parks in as my engineer and i'm over his back watching what the fuck he doing and i'm learning this shit from parks to the point where i no longer need parks that might have been my goal all along but i let parks want to believe that we was what the fuck he doing and I'm learning this shit from Parks to the point where I no longer need Parks. That might have been my goal all along. But I let Parks on to believe that we was building a long-standing relationship
Starting point is 02:41:51 that was going to stand the test of time. But that wasn't... What if you didn't lead me? Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's what you... Yeah. I'm just saying.
Starting point is 02:41:59 I don't know. It depends on how you look at it. But you're saying what? What answer? What if you didn't lead him? Yeah, what if I told... What if I told... You hired him from a service, you watched him do it, you learned how to do it and now you look at it. What if you didn't lead him? What if I told him? Hired him from a service. You watched him do it.
Starting point is 02:42:07 You learned how to do it. And now you're doing it. And now he's done. I hired you, Parks, for three years. And I paid you for three years. Then my debt is done. I don't owe you shit. I don't owe you nothing.
Starting point is 02:42:17 But in that three years, I learned how to do this myself. I understand. Now, all of us took a stance. So when this situation now presents itself in the future months, I want all of y'all to keep steady fast
Starting point is 02:42:31 at this stance. You do that a lot too and I disagree with it. But it's true. It is true. It's depending on who the players are in the game, what stance we take
Starting point is 02:42:38 on certain situations. And they shouldn't waver. If this is your stance on a specific topic, I don't give a fuck if this person or this person or this person did it. That should is your stance on a specific topic, I don't give a fuck if this person or this person or this person did it.
Starting point is 02:42:47 That should be your stance on the topic. I disagree. I think it clearly depends on the circumstances. That's my point. I know y'all do. But not the people.
Starting point is 02:42:54 No, the circumstances. The people matter too. In your example, it was we change opinions with people. I reserve the right to change opinions due to the circumstances,
Starting point is 02:43:02 not the people. Sure. Got you. So let me ask you a question. No, it's an off-mic question. What? Hey, what's up, man? What's up?
Starting point is 02:43:18 This is a new recording, man. I can dig it. Hey. All right. I'm introduced in a new segment to the show called What's Going On, Man. Cut. Michigan State.
Starting point is 02:43:37 Y'all put Hitler on the big screen at a nationally televised game. What? They put Hitler on the big screen. Some trivia shit. Michigan State. He was the answer to a trivia question. When they were asked about it,
Starting point is 02:43:55 they blamed it on a third party, on a third party agency or company, of course. And then when further asked about it or how they would rectify it, they hired a third party company to rectify what the third-company party did. Michigan State. What's going on? What's going on?
Starting point is 02:44:14 What's going on, man? Come on. Sigmarvin. Yeah, but can you cut that off now? Instagram, Instagram, Instagram, Instagram, Instagram. Palestinians? Instagram. Palestinians? Instagram. People were trying to rep for the Palestinians.
Starting point is 02:44:33 And they were being tagged as domestic terrorists for showing their support. When questioned about it, you said that there was a glitch and the glitch has been fixed. But Instagram. What's going on, Instagram? Come on. Come on, y'all. Hey, hey, Marvin, sing it to them. Hey, Bill Gates.
Starting point is 02:44:59 I saw the story. Your girlfriend just happened to break up with her black boyfriend after all that dismay that you expressed, huh? Daughter. I mean your daughter. That's what I meant. Your daughter broke up with that black. Do-do-do-do. Do-do-do-do.
Starting point is 02:45:15 Do-do-do-do. Yo. Hey, Bill. Oh, go ahead, go ahead. Finish. Hey, Bill. No, I'm done. I just want to ask Bill Gates.
Starting point is 02:45:20 But don't ask him yet. All right. So McDonald's said they're doing free fries every Friday. And Bill Gates just happens to own where the potatoes are made for the McDonald's fries. Bill Gates. What's going on, yo? Hey, we saw that clone Tyrone. You was going to get rid of that boyfriend no matter what.
Starting point is 02:45:52 I think that's everything I have in my What's Going On segment. Cut that off, please. Huh? Cut that shit off. Playing Marvin Gaye on one of those clubs. And you ain't hit the little pow pow. Yeah, yeah, if you play too long, you can stop that shit.
Starting point is 02:46:09 The little pow pow. Something, something in there to bring that up. I wanna ask each of you who the Kim Kardashian of your family is. Successful entrepreneur? I hate when you do this, you know this I don't know what you mean I was getting ready to say Which element of Kim
Starting point is 02:46:30 What does that mean See it's not just me I don't follow them like that I just know You mean who the bad one Pause Who is the one That comes into
Starting point is 02:46:39 The family function Decked out A little pretentious A little famous A little popular may act better than some of the family hair done nails done everything did a little more polished uh speaks a little better than the rest of the family probably a little more educated than anybody the kim k the one that stands out the one that will the one that you can open the door for some of your dirty, dusty cousins
Starting point is 02:47:08 to fucking get some shit popping. And this is the thing. I didn't make this up. I didn't make this up. I definitely got one in my family, bro. What happened? I definitely got one in my family. I can't say it because family watch.
Starting point is 02:47:20 I don't want to. But it's not y'all. No. Mel? Some of my cousins. But it's not y'all. Mel? Some of my cousins might think it's me. Some of them may think it's me, but it ain't me. So it might be you. It ain't me.
Starting point is 02:47:33 The one that you think it is, have you ever asked them who they think it is? Some of them have discussed who they think that is. But whoever you think it is, did you ask them to get their opinion? No. Parks? I'm going to ask the family group chat because I'm curious now too. My family know who it is. They would definitely say me, but I
Starting point is 02:47:50 would say somebody else in my family. Oh, that narrows it down. That's helpful. They would say me, all of them, but I would say it's one of them. Because I am the famous one and I am the glamorous one, so by that way's that would be me but I'm
Starting point is 02:48:10 way more of a wallflower I'm way my personality does not like command the room when I'm around my family there's one member of my family it's my niece as a matter of fact this motherfucker comes in the room like a bulldozer and like she just had she's just really she's just like that got that personality whereas I'm a lot more quiet yeah this is a funnyAP. I don't know. Oh, okay. I don't know. I don't know who that is, huh?
Starting point is 02:48:51 MP? Michael Paul would kill me if I said it was Michael Paul, but I don't think it was me. It might be Michael Paul. Michael Paul would say it's me. I ain't going to call him and ask him. I ain't going to call him and ask him. I don't think it's me though. I think it's my mom.
Starting point is 02:49:10 No, I think it's your MP. I think it's you. I think it's my mom. I'm not wearing it. Who would your mom say it is? Probably her. She probably would say it's her. I'll investigate.
Starting point is 02:49:24 I'll come back in. I'll investigate I'll investigate we should all come back in I'll do some asking yeah we gotta come back oh shit speaking of Michael Paul I want to say rest in peace to one of Michael Paul's best friends
Starting point is 02:49:35 and a great friend of the family Chad Chad passed Chad was a great guy great actor probably seen him in a bunch of commercials
Starting point is 02:49:45 but it's fine young guy he's sick and he passed away Chad love you prayers thoughts to your friends
Starting point is 02:49:54 family loved ones fans good guy Chad rest in peace someone fucked me up with that one and we're going
Starting point is 02:50:03 you know we're getting our somber thoughts out. Prayers up for our guy, Bishop Begonte, man. He got a cancer diagnosed recently. Oh, shit. Told everybody. So, prayers up for him.
Starting point is 02:50:14 We love you, bro. Bishop, we love you, bro. Word up. Hold it down, man. You in our prayers. You got this, bro. What's the scariest decade? It's the 40s. Now. The 40s. 40s is now the 40s that 40s boy you either come out of your 50s alive or god damn the 40s is when um for me it has been
Starting point is 02:50:37 like the people around you just dropping off like i've lost a lot of close people to me in the 40s because we get into that age I think where your bad habits start to take they start to show the fuck up yeah yeah that's it they start to show up should be out of nowhere be like like our childhood friends elementary school friends and stuff and I'm getting phone calls yo such I'm like wait what yeah yeah you go look and what happened to such as a yeah man they didn't it. It's happening frequently. And we gotta go to the doctor. Gotta go to, speaking of Parks, you're now a part
Starting point is 02:51:09 of the 40 crowd. I am. Have you scheduled your prostate and colonoscopy? Melissa just wants somebody to play in our answers. Can you go finish college? Why don't you go finish school with your dropout ass? You always want somebody to play in our answers. You wanna know why I ask that.
Starting point is 02:51:26 Because women, this is what we do. We care. We take. We ask the questions. Park, 39 and a half. You ready for them to put the gloves on? I mean, they're going to have to do it. It is what it is.
Starting point is 02:51:41 But I haven't made mine. They don't. They don't. No. You get the blood test, and it comes back. I just got my shirt. What if you found out that the accuracy was like. Whoa, whoa, whoa. We're not putting have to do it. It is what it is. But I haven't made mine. They don't. They don't? No. You get the blood test, and it comes back. I just got my shit. What if you found out that the accuracy was like- Whoa, whoa, whoa.
Starting point is 02:51:48 We not putting that in the universe. Okay. You go get your blood test, bro, and they'll let you know. There's nothing more accurate than a finger up the butt. What? How you know? How you know? You had your prostate checked?
Starting point is 02:51:59 I don't have to. Exactly. Exactly. I don't have to. But I have had a colonoscopy. Yeah, but all that's fine. But have you been bowling balled? Facts.
Starting point is 02:52:08 Nigga ain't gripping you from the bike like a bowling ball. Have you been bowling balled? I have because I don't have bowling balls. No, no, no, no, no, no, no. I've had these. I've had these, you know. No, no, no, no, no. Hey, Mel.
Starting point is 02:52:19 Mel. Bowling ball. Mel. Bowling ball. Bowling ball. Bowling ball. Yeah. No. see. Bowling ball. Bowling ball. Bowling ball. Yeah. Rim, rim.
Starting point is 02:52:27 Rim, rim. Nobody has a bowling ball. Nobody bowl it? Yeah. Corey, stop it right now. No. No. No.
Starting point is 02:52:34 You throw two in it? Come on, man. No. Virgin ass butt. Yes, it is. Exit only. I am very proud of that. I'm sorry.
Starting point is 02:52:42 If that makes me vanilla, I don't care. You and Ish are the two vanilla members of this podcast. I'm going to get you a Foxtel for Christmas. I wish y'all started living a little bit. I'm going to get you a Foxtel for Christmas. Live a little bit. Don't worry about it. Take the class out.

Starting point is 02:53:10 That may not mean anything to y'all. Means a lot to me. All of my favorite people. New music or? No, new music. New music. I love a Christmas album. Me too.

Starting point is 02:54:13 because now I can't unhear it when he says, Just Blaze. Oh, no, that ain't my bag calling me.
Starting point is 02:54:20 I thought that was my bag. Oh, get the fuck out of here. What was I saying? Oh, we was talking about the complex melodies in that song, All I Want for Christmas. bag. Get the fuck out of here. What was I saying? Oh, we were just talking about the complex melodies in that song,

Starting point is 02:54:53 yeah good for her um let me see if I got a part of this show somebody that needs our help let's see you had something from last time.
Starting point is 02:55:06 When do men know they're ready to settle down? Shut up. I'm just reading as I scroll. I like to scroll to the bottom. Value and content, ownership, music catalogs being brought up. Shut up. Shut it up. Well, while you look, let me ask y'all.
Starting point is 02:55:23 Did y'all see the Lil Wayne wax figurine Wax figurine That he denounced That was not Wayne And The Rock They playing Yeah
Starting point is 02:55:34 The Rocks was a white man That wasn't even That shit was hilarious man Wayne ain't like that shit The Rock didn't like that shit He was like Someone named Pullin Terrell Pullin Terrell
Starting point is 02:55:46 Pullin Terrell Says I thought the whole reason For this tear Was to be able to Shoot the fade With brother Ice Nothing against Ice
Starting point is 02:55:55 He's that nigga on the pod I just wanna see if Bro really got hands like that Shit he was Hands like all that shit He was talking When this was an idea Oh yeah I still will fight One of you niggas For the right price I don't care Alright hands like all that shit he was talking when this was an idea.
Starting point is 02:56:05 Oh, yeah. I still will fight one of you niggas for the right price. I don't care. All right. We got a long one here. We got a long one. Oh, this from the same dude, I think. I'm not fighting for free.
Starting point is 02:56:14 All right, let's get into pulling Terrell some more. For the sake of the show. Pause, yes. For the sake of the show, I'm going to try to keep this short, but as informative as possible. There's this woman. That's how it always starts. I met her in 2018, but I was with someone of the show, I'm going to try to keep this short, but as informative as possible. There's this woman. That's how it always starts.
Starting point is 02:56:26 I met her in 2018, but I was with someone at the time, so I never pursued her. I did, however, make sure that over time I became a close friend to her just in case things went south and I had a chance to get at her. From then till now, the more I talk to her, the closer we've gotten. And now we're both free agents and I'm ready to shoot a shot To add some substance. I'm 42 years old making a pretty nice salary as a manager during the day and a photographer at night She's 34 years old and doing pretty well for herself When we met we were just co-workers and I eventually became her supervisor. Oh It's getting good now. Oh
Starting point is 02:57:05 a photographer, a photographer supervisor. Hey, stay, hey, stay in late tonight. That's a model. Daddy's got some pictures to take.
Starting point is 02:57:15 Uh, let's see. I became her supervisor. When I became single, me being over her stopped me from trying to get at her because smart. I don't like the idea of losing a job for a relationship. Indeed. Well, she got fired.
Starting point is 02:57:30 Ta-da! By my boss. And we kept in touch just long enough for us to do a photo shoot together. I bet you did. The photos were for a book I was working on. It's going to be Ishbag, too, when his book come out. Which right now is my best-selling book that I've released thus far.
Starting point is 02:57:50 I'm trying to keep this short, but it's a few things added to that, making me start to have some feelings for her. I live in Atlanta, she lives in Chicago, and we recently had a conversation over the phone and she told me another one bit the dust. And she's tired of dealing with the same shit from niggas we laughed it off but just this past weekend we hung out when i was in
Starting point is 02:58:10 chicago and had a late night talk in the car oh he is an itches bag and she went more in depth and stated that her biggest problem is the men she's been seeing are not worth the penis size they bring to the table i heard that and knew for sure I could win this one over. Part of me wanted to be like, shit, let's go upstairs and I'll show you what you've been missing. But judging from her conversation, I could clearly see that the time and place
Starting point is 02:58:36 was not that night. I check all the boxes as it pertains to money, mental health, and penis size. Here's the question. I'm very laid back, like ish. he's really said that no he said that that wasn't me this time i'm very laid back like ish i'd rather talk the panty drawers off and in due time like ish i'll get you i'll get what i'm seeking or should i say or should i say fuck it and apply some pressure maybe like plan a trip out of town that i know will give me a chance
Starting point is 02:59:06 to show her what what it is in closing I'm telling I'm going to tell y'all the same thing I told my therapist my only fear of making a move on her is the fear of the end losing I'm scared to risk it all and then everything is gone friendship and
Starting point is 02:59:22 all the end it sounds like I need to toss this to Ish. Help the young brother out, Ish. So I'm tossing it to Ish. Shoot. I mean, you gotta shoot, but you gotta shoot in a subtle way.
Starting point is 02:59:38 Give us an example. Nah, I'm just saying they super close, so you don't want to lose the friendship. You gotta hint, like you got to joke. You got to throw it like a little in your window out to see if she bites. Because, again, it's going to make it awkward if he shoot a shot and she not seeing him or looking at him like that. I mean, but the reason that he's in the friend zone, she might not look at him in that type of light. But didn't he say in the beginning that she expressed interest towards him?
Starting point is 03:00:05 No. Did I miss that? Did I make that up? I didn't hear that part. I don't he say in the beginning that she expressed interest towards him? No. Did I miss that? Did I make that up? I didn't hear that part. I don't think he ever said that. I'll read it again. I think he said that that was how they originally met. You got a joke. Let me come up there to Chicago and show you how this really done.
Starting point is 03:00:21 You know what I mean? You got to make a little jokey joke. She might be like, yeah, you better. Or yo, you need to do that. The more I talk to her, the closer we've gotten. And now we're both free agents. I'm ready to shoot a shot. Before that. No, in the beginning.
Starting point is 03:00:33 No, in the beginning, it just says, I was with someone at the time, never sued her. Here it says, make sure that over time, I became a close friend to her. OK. Yeah, I think you got to put it out there in a jokey manner. She's not attracted to you, bro. You can always pull it back.
Starting point is 03:00:48 She might be. She might be. She might be. She might be, and she might be looking for her shot. Women ain't necessarily the aggressors all the time in these circumstances. She's not attracted to you, bro. It's not true. I've taken down some friends.
Starting point is 03:01:04 Yeah. I don't know. I just think it might be awkward for both of them. But again, throw the joke out there. Lead with the joke. The joke is always, oh, I was only playing. That's what you got for him? Yeah.
Starting point is 03:01:18 Because again, the friendship is valuable to him, evidently. So lead with the joke. That don't erase the fear of losing all. Yes, it does. Because when you lead with the joke, if she shoots it down, you can pull it back. Y'all was just playing. Just got to be very careful with the joke.
Starting point is 03:01:35 It's hard. He didn't either or. So the first one was take a long road trip or something like that. Like a suggestion. Yeah, he said, like, i could take her out of town so now i'm gonna invite you to turks and i'm gonna invite you to turks under the guys that we cool and when we get there i'm gonna try to get the box that's dangerous now now what yeah you're
Starting point is 03:01:55 gonna have an awkward ass vacation potentially well how about you go there with no with no expectations he's expecting he like her i know what he wants but don't put don't pressurize the situation by saying so I want to take you out of town but you know let it unfold as it naturally would she's gonna know okay we're away it's possible that he likes and if she is feeling him she's gonna lean into that but if she's not if you are out of town and she does not lean into you know us becoming physical with each other and changing the dynamic of a relationship then what Ice is saying
Starting point is 03:02:32 she ain't fucking interested yeah but you just spent 17 grand not necessarily I'm joking not I'm talking about the money but you just spent some money and now you feel like Gilbert Grape which is why you should know beforehand but here's the thing I'm not getting on no plane if I know I ain't no box into money and now you feel like Gilbert Grape. Which is why you should know beforehand. I'm not getting on no plane if I know I ain't no boss.
Starting point is 03:02:48 Facts. I'm with him. The whole situation involves a level of risk no matter what. That is true. There's a level, like, for who? For him. If he don't want to lose it. There's a possibility that even you letting her know you're attracted to her or like this,
Starting point is 03:03:03 you could lose the friendship no matter what. I agree's why i said leave with the joke the joke is always you got plausible deniability with the joke when you start joking you could lose with the joke or if you're good enough friends you can just keep it all the way it being and see what she says you could lose with the joke thank you sure she could look at this oh you and immediately say oh you one of them niggas that just try to play it cool now you think you can shoot your shot i see it nope she can see it they've been friends for mad long she said another one bites the dust but look what he said i became friends with her yeah for playing the long game so women know niggas do that so the second you make that inappropriate joke she or not inappropriate but that joke that let's move
Starting point is 03:03:43 this over here somewhere she She could view you as okay, you're one of them. After your third or fourth nigga, I wasn't necessarily seeking my opening. You have had a whole bunch of open slots. Now let me see if I could come try out for the team. It don't seem like you were sitting around like a creep waiting for it.
Starting point is 03:03:59 You done been through 16, 17 niggas, and I'm now here to take my shot. I don't think she's attracted to take my shot. Yeah. I don't think she's attracted to him. Or you keep it a bit. Or into him. I could be wrong. I say wait it out, big dog.
Starting point is 03:04:13 I wouldn't bust no moves. Sometimes the best thing to do is nothing. And then she going to just come and call him, maybe? You get what I'm saying? I don't think he got enough information, or at least he didn't share enough information, to really be able to check her temperature as thoroughly as he sounded like he'd like to. Sounded like a lot of guessing and a lot of... Because if he did, he wouldn't be so fearful.
Starting point is 03:04:35 He would have a better gauge on her reaction. For him to say, I feel like I might lose the friendship as a whole, says that you have more information to gather. Yeah, true. I would do nothing. I would just keep being a friend and not bust out with my lusty wants and needs. Yo, dawg, shoot your jokes, my nigga. You keep saying that.
Starting point is 03:04:59 Them jokes. You saying that as a nigga who's been cute his whole life with light eyes. And that's how you say it. I'm serious. I'm not trying to be funny. Yes. You saying that as in something who's been cute his whole life with light eyes, and that's how you say I'm serious I'm not trying to be funny Yes, you you saying that as in something that has worked for you because they were attracted to him Yeah, you know this nigga the ugliest nigga in the world. She's not attracted to him. You better relax Well what you saying them?
Starting point is 03:05:18 from privilege It's just crazy Wait, wait, it's still been shy. It's still been the shy brother. Shut the fuck up with this joke shit. I don't want to hear what he's talking about. Shoot your jokes, my nigga. Why you don't shoot your jokes as the shy brother?
Starting point is 03:05:32 I do. As the shy brother, you shoot your jokes. In his circumstance, he's already in with the girl in some capacity. He's not a new person that he's talking to. Not really. They've been friends for years I have guy
Starting point is 03:05:46 I have guy friends that I know are biding their time and that I know okay alright the fuck and uh
Starting point is 03:05:58 and that will never ever have a shot got you so if they ever shot their shot it would it would it might that might disrupt the dynamic. I said that.
Starting point is 03:06:09 That's funny coming from Mel because Mel has also explained that she's the one biting her tongue as it pertains to a couple of her friends. That's my point. Well, no, it was a previous relationship. So think about this. So if Mel, let's say, hypothetically, you had a dude that you wanted him to shoot a shot, but he didn't. Last example on you for today. No, I'm saying, no, we flipping this. If you wanted him to shoot a shot and he didn't, how would you prefer for him to go about it?
Starting point is 03:06:34 That would answer Homeboy's question. Women are a lot more slick, you know. And I'm speaking generally because some women are very forthcoming and they will just fucking say it but women are usually very subtle and slick and kind of give you a lot of body language you know a lot of caressing a lot of you know staring into your eyes and all that say i'm attracted to you exactly so we did we're we really do the non-verbal communication thing so that would be how would you want so you break the touch. How would you want him. So you break the touch barrier? Yes. How would you want him to push.
Starting point is 03:07:07 That's crazy. And please, can we answer this and come to a close? I think you waited too long. That's what I think. I think you waited too long. Because now you value the friendship so much that you don't want to lose it. So you waited too long. It's hindering you even trying to make a move. If you would have done this earlier on,
Starting point is 03:07:26 where you... Now, if she's not feeling you that way, maybe y'all can continue as friends. It's not much at risk there. She ain't really curving you to the point where I don't ever want to talk to you again. But that long friendship you built up comes after the fact,
Starting point is 03:07:40 and you both know there's nothing there. You waited too long. Stay her friend. Shoot your shot. All right, let's dance. Terrence Martin. Alex Isley, two-step in the living room. Been over pieces, it dropped.
Starting point is 03:08:00 Uh-oh. Actually, before I do this, before I play that, can I just play y'all what they did to this fucking, uh, hold up. Let me play y'all what they did to this Sade bass line. Listen. If y'all have untrained ears, you probably can't hear just how alive they brought this bass line. I hear it.
Starting point is 03:08:31 This bass is fucking bugging. All right. Dang, that's fire. That bass is fucking bugging. That bass is fucking bugging. That bass is fucking bugging. That bass is fucking bugging. That bass is fucking bugging.
Starting point is 03:08:39 That bass is fucking bugging. That bass is fucking bugging. That bass is fucking bugging. That bass is fucking bugging. That bass is fucking bugging. That bass is fucking bugging. That bass is fucking bugging. That bass is fucking bugging mine This bass is fucking buggin'. Lord. Alright.
Starting point is 03:08:48 Dang, that's fire. That bass is... That don't sound bad neither. That bass is stupid. Let's get to it. Two-step in the living room from our friend of the show, Alex Isley. Terrace Martin, you've been on an unbelievable run. This is it right here.
Starting point is 03:09:03 I have not taken this out of the CD changer. I tried to get out my head. I'm him, yo. It's all right. I'm him, man. Tried to declutter my space. I'm him, yo. It's all right. I'm him, man. Try to declutter my space. I never got you.
Starting point is 03:09:27 Funk tray, get out my own way. There you go, Mel. Look at that phone for a sleeper. Yeah. Yeah. Still hear this noise all around. Still building up, it's so loud. Baby, could you turn it way down And give me a groove Like it used to be Put me in the mood
Starting point is 03:10:04 Like I used to be Stop what you're doing and come dance with me Two step in the living room room I'm with you We don't have all the control So much pressure to keep up It's clear that we just don't know So much pressure to keep hold It's clear that we just don't know And it's alright
Starting point is 03:10:54 Don't wanna think anymore Throw the numbers at the door Just know there's for on the floor for the whole night give me a groove like it used to be put me in the mood like I used to be Stop what you're doing and come dance with me Two step in the living room, I'm home with me This is all that I need
Starting point is 03:11:53 This is all that I need This is all that I need This is all that I need This is all that I need All that I need All that I need All that I need All that I need All that I need Yeah, I mean, it's something fly for you to groove to in your living room. I'm with me Only me That's brand new music from Terrace Martin and Alex Isley.
Starting point is 03:13:15 That record is called Two Step in the Living Room, Absolutely Fire, and that's off their I Left My Heart in Ladera project that is in your phone and on streaming platforms as we speak. That's his name. Thank you. And yes, Imani, Alex Isley
Starting point is 03:13:34 is related to the Isleys. I know you said that you didn't realize that, but that Isley name should have kind of gave it away for you. Yeah, and Isaac Hayes Jr. is related to Isaac Hayes.
Starting point is 03:13:48 Oh, they got the Don't worry about it. They got the Megan They got the Megan Kunif girl on the MV case now. Yeah. Oh, really?
Starting point is 03:13:56 Yeah. Oh, they done picked up. They done picked up. And we say he's trying to get some bread back from dude too. No comment from me. Copy.
Starting point is 03:14:05 All right, I'm going to Detroit, man. 42 Doug is home. Yes. And immediately put out a... Happy about that. First day out. Put out a record called Go Again. And Forever Rollin' did the beat,

Starting point is 03:27:00 I just miss that side of you. I just miss that side of you. I just miss that side of you. I just miss that side of you. It's Amaria, Lying to You, featuring Amber... Navron. Navron. The scrolling stopped scrolling, so... Can I ask a personal question?
Starting point is 03:27:20 Yes. It's yours. Do I have consent? I don't do nothing without consent. Oh, my God. Yes. If I don't have no consent? I don't do nothing without consent. Oh, my God. Yes. If I don't have no consent, I ain't asking. Go ahead. Go ahead.
Starting point is 03:27:30 When we asked you that truth-to-truth question and you answered, I commend you for answering. You bodied that. You know the one that you answered. The three-parter? No, the one when I was invasive into your pussy business. Yeah, I feel like it was this. You have to repeat it. Do you remember the question?
Starting point is 03:27:49 Yeah, I feel like it was a three-parter, but go ahead. Oh, it probably was. Yeah. Did you see dude again? He went home. So you haven't seen him again yet? I haven't seen him again yet, no. Okay.
Starting point is 03:28:02 Got plans. Right. Got plans. All right, go ahead then. Got plans. Right. You got plans. All right, go ahead then. Go ahead. Oh, you're so funny. Is that because of my musical choices? I'm seeming lusty again.
Starting point is 03:28:13 I can tell when you ain't getting laid by the music. All you got to do is listen to the music. That's it. Let's see. Yeah, there's a little Tha Rub music right there. I almost played like a throwback, like a Sade song, in light of Alex Isley's new music. Good part today.
Starting point is 03:28:43 Good part. Good part. I thought you was going to play No One or something. Excuse me? What did you say? I thought you was going to play No One or something. No One. What are you saying?
Starting point is 03:28:59 Maxwell. Oh, I was going to end with Maxwell, but I want to hear a little bit of Lenny, man. End on a high note. Sunshining on my neck, you know what I mean? Feeling good. Got my health. Got my friends, my tribe. Got your tribe.
Starting point is 03:29:14 I got my tribe. Is you on my tribe? What's up? No one. Oh, you want to hear it? All right. Hold on, man. Yeah, it's a little...
Starting point is 03:29:23 Bullshit. It ain't bullshit, bro. Oh, this is it. Greatest Lenny Kravitz songs. The look of utter disgust. Nah, it was cool. I'm not playing Ish shit. It's cool.
Starting point is 03:29:42 Ish don't deserve to hear the songs that he likes. Right? You like the song. He shitted on an amazing 42 Dugs. I like that song you're talking about. But that was a great 42 Dug record you shitted on with your old 60-year-old head ass. That was a great fucking West Side song. That was a West Side song, right?
Starting point is 03:29:58 Yeah. Great West Side song and Stove Guard that you shitted on. Like, enough of you. Don't age us out, man. The niggas that's here with a little bit of sauce, let us keep it. Narrative Nancy, go ahead.
Starting point is 03:30:11 The niggas that, no, you like my song. I'm talking about for them. I liked your song. I'm talking about for them. That was fire. That was fire, both of them songs.
Starting point is 03:30:17 It's fine. They just not, they out of your demo. You stunting. It's cool, though. You know I'll say when I hate the rap song. Nigga, you was over there you was over there
Starting point is 03:30:25 peering through the fucking whiteboards laughing at them songs no I was laughing at you stop yo stop stop I like that song
Starting point is 03:30:32 and I like 42 Dog a lot I like 42 Dog too I like 42 Dog and I like that song his voice just does it for me boss like he can make some whack shit
Starting point is 03:30:39 sound good same with them two niggas he playing as you and Mel keep playing the fucking lusty Favorites. That's not true. Y'all need to get laid.
Starting point is 03:30:47 I'm an R&B queen. Y'all ain't going to lie. Y'all need to get fucked. Vote for y'all vanilla asses. The vanilla niggas want to play the most fucking R&B sensual shit like they know how to fuck. Oh, man. Shit is crazy out here, right? All right, let me find an issue song, man.
Starting point is 03:31:02 Y'all talk. Let me find an issue song. That's enough, guys. Do vanilla niggas. Do vanilla niggas. It's All right, let me find an issue song, man. Y'all talk. Let me find an issue song. That's enough, James. Do Vanilla Niggas. Do Vanilla Niggas. It's all right, though. Vanilla Niggas always want to play some Ronnie Romance.
Starting point is 03:31:10 Yeah, you so phony, yo. It's cool, though. I'll let you go. Yeah, man. Hold on. You're the fearless leader. Say something. You fucking say something.
Starting point is 03:31:24 This is my favorite Maxwell album. Take us home. They're harmonizing. Say something. For one month. That was like when she first started. They was harmonizing then, too. Come on, take us out of here, man. You got the song you want, dear.
Starting point is 03:31:55 Come on, the baddies. Come on, man. Hey, you two doofy-ass niggas. What are y'all doing? This ain't for y'all to fucking do whatever you want. I don't even know what you're'all... She's staring at him. He ain't even looking at you. Oh my God.
Starting point is 03:32:09 Fuck you, Meredith Nancy. That nigga looking at Paul Ice. You thirsty as hell. Yo, why is she so thirsty? I got you, yo. Here. And I love you. the mirror. Yo, why is she so thirsty? Yo, what's wrong with you? I got you, yo. Here. Here. I'm going, and I love you.
Starting point is 03:32:27 And when we fight, come and do it. I love your take on things. Shut the fuck up, Mel. Nobody going to take a dump? No, fuck you. OK? Not after all that. You don't wanna be like you. Try to forget you.
Starting point is 03:32:48 You don't like this song? Yes, but why am I playing this if y'all two are not going to take us home? This was for you. It's your shit. What we supposed to do? Take us home. Get up.
Starting point is 03:32:58 In this shit. No, not. No, I don't know what you mean. The baddies. The baddies are insecure and all that other. Thank y'all for all that shit. I forgot your closing. Next time, don't worry about it.
Starting point is 03:33:10 Next time, just shut the fuck up. Why you can't just do your closing to the good song? Now you done. Now you done. Look what you did. You being difficult. You being difficult. You supposed to end us.
Starting point is 03:33:20 Yo, I don't know your soliloquy. No, you supposed to do your own shit. Yo, Big Ish, Newark, Rose, Dead World, whatever the fuck you at. God damn it. Oh, man. Parks. Yeah. I'm sorry.
Starting point is 03:33:36 I didn't mean to end this yet. Come on, give us a little something on Philly having not one penalty the entire game. Yeah, it was 10 penalties to zero. Actually, let me start again. Philly won the game. They should have won the game. They were a better team. They were a more physical team.
Starting point is 03:33:56 They were more healthy. They won the game. The refs this weekend in the NFL at large were disappointing and disgusting enough to us. Say that shit. The Colts got robbed. The Rams got robbed of a shot. The Rams didn't get robbed. The Dolphins got robbed of a shot. I'm not saying that any of these teams would have
Starting point is 03:34:12 won, but they got robbed of a shot by the NFL being extremely sketchy with officiating. And it's really bad for that to be happening at a time when the betting market is going crazy because this shit looks bad. Bad.
Starting point is 03:34:27 Bad. It does. But sooner or later we got to have a talk about what betting is doing to the current sports landscape. It's knocking on the door
Starting point is 03:34:36 right now. That Colts game, I felt so bad for Zaire. Me too, yo. And EJ. Yeah. They played their butts. EJ, yo, that play EJ made.
Starting point is 03:34:42 That was crazy. They played their butts off, yo. He went in there, blew that whole shit up And they called some Bullshit ass Fucking Defensive holding
Starting point is 03:34:49 So The Dolphins game My man got fucking Yanked by the face mask Which is an automatic Right in front of the ref Right in front of the ref They're saying
Starting point is 03:34:58 He's from Philly And shit Like come on fam You know That's crazy And again I don't Like all these games The officiating may not have made a difference,
Starting point is 03:35:07 but you fuck up the chance for it being a shot. We buying the Bajon Robinson thing? I don't really know the details of it. Boy, he almost fucked my fantasy up. Pause. He almost fucked my whole money league up. You still won? In fantasy.
Starting point is 03:35:22 Yes, I still won. I still won. No, I started Trevor Lawrence. Anybody that starts against the Niners defense, I sit them because I'd be scared. He went crazy. But Kirk Cousins at home. Kirk Cousins at home without Justin Jefferson. Word.
Starting point is 03:35:38 Don't play with him. He went off. I was playing Ja Rule. All my players played. I had 125 points. I was playing Ja Rule all my players played I had 125 points he had 94 points with the Niners defense and TJ Hawkinson left and Hawkinson started going off crazy but then the Niners defense didn't do nothing and he lost by five points and a nail-biter this is what fantasy football is all about
Starting point is 03:36:02 we're looking at a game that your team is not playing in pulling your fucking bald greys out stressing losing weight not watching the game, not opening Twitter because people might say TJ Hawkinson one time I opened Twitter it was like TJ Hawkinson keep going
Starting point is 03:36:19 I'm closing this I love fantasy football tonight which is last night if you're listening to this on Saturday the NBA season I'm closing this I'm done I love fantasy football tonight which is last night if you're listening to this on Saturday the NBA season starts can anybody give me
Starting point is 03:36:30 their biggest NBA stories that they look forward to I will start Joel Embiid to the Knicks yeah it's happening it does feel like it yeah and I'm not saying this
Starting point is 03:36:41 as the Knicks fan that just clamors for every star. There's been rumblings that Joel Embiid likes New York. I don't think he wants to go too far from Philly, and it's James Harden shit is going to push it over the edge. Yeah. I think it's happening.
Starting point is 03:36:53 And the Knicks are going to deliver the package needed to get them at some point. When I saw this morning, I was like, shit, you take that. It was like two to three first round picks. That was good. Two to three first round picks. Mitchell Robinson, Evan Fournier, R.J. Barrett, and Julius Randle. That's like the whole fucking team, bro. That's crazy. I do to three first round picks. Mitchell Robinson, Evan Fournier, RJ Barrett, and Julius Randle. That's like the whole fucking team, bro. That's crazy.
Starting point is 03:37:08 I do that. I do that. Take that. I do that. I do it, though. You do that if you're the Knicks? 100%. 100%.
Starting point is 03:37:14 What was Philly giving back? Embiid? Embiid. Probably something else. I'm sure. They'll make the contracts match. They got to make the money work. They got to make the money work.
Starting point is 03:37:23 But the haul was Embiid. I think the Knicks plan, don't quote me, don't quote me, even though I be writing my predictions. Never. They're going to spend for Embiid, and they're going to wait out Donovan Mitchell, and then that's their team. I think the Knicks did that with getting Melo,
Starting point is 03:37:38 and I think they regret it. I don't think they regret the Melo trade at all. I think they definitely regret the Melo trade. I don't think they do. You're crazy. all. I think they definitely regret the Mellow trade. I don't think they do. You're crazy. Listen, can y'all speak to the NBA stories that y'all are most excited for? I want to see what Boston looks like. Boston and Milwaukee, I want to see that.
Starting point is 03:37:54 I want to see what Boston really looks like. I think they made a mistake giving away Williams for Porzingis. I think Porzingis helps them on the offensive side of the ball, but it kills them on the defensive side of the ball, and they didn't need offense. I like every move the Lakers did in the offseason with the exception of re-signing D'Lo. But D'Lo says he's going to make a concerted effort to get better on the defensive side of the ball. So we'll see what happens with that. I think Denver's still the team to beat, yo.
Starting point is 03:38:30 I think so, too. I think, like you said, it's the same. The NBA thing. I think it's over. I grew up with Spurs fans, so I'm curious to see how the Wimby shit go. I want to see Wimby. I want to see Dame out there in Milwaukee. No, he was not. Pop does what Pop does, so I want to see what the there in Milwaukee. No, he was not.
Starting point is 03:38:45 Pop does what pop does, so I want to see what the Spurs look like, too. They got a nice nucleus of young players out there. Oh, and also, Joe, before we leave, the Chris Brown album is not 11 songs. 22 songs. It's a double project. 11 a.m.
Starting point is 03:38:58 And 11 in the p.m. That's still not bad, though, for him. That's still a short album. I agree. I'm not mad at that. I love it now. That's dope. A.m. p.m. That's dope. 11 a.m. was 11 records. 11 p.m. 11 records. That's hilarious a short album. I agree. I'm not mad at that. I love it now. That's dope. AM, PM. That's dope.
Starting point is 03:39:05 11 AM was 11 records. 11 PM. 11 records. That's hilarious, though. That's a win for me. All right, man. Y'all keep us in your prayers. Lord knows we need to be there.
Starting point is 03:39:18 Until the next time, I bid you adieu. Farewell. Adios. Arrivederci. Arrivederci. Au revoir. So long. Goodbye.
