I'm your humble, gracious, grateful, and highly favored host, Joe Budden, here with some really beautiful people. To my right, the amazing Melissa Ford is here. Hooty hoo.
Starting point is 00:11:55 Hooty hoo. Big Flip is in the building. Ish is here. Ice is here. Parks is here. Corey's here. Poe is here. Erickson is here.
Starting point is 00:12:03 And Tanner's here remotely. How's everybody doing, what's poppin'? What's poppin'? Good, good. The viral count is two for Joe, one for Ish, zero for Queens Flip. Got you. Told niggas I'm keeping count, it's really more than two.
Starting point is 00:12:21 It's more than two for you. It's more than two. I feel like in a week you've had three, yeah. She you've had three. Yeah, but it's zero for you. You're talking about zero. Now, how do you feel about that? You're talking about zero on the platform, the platform, the infrastructure that you created for years. That's how you go viral.
Starting point is 00:12:38 You go viral, you got your infrastructure together, you got everything together, you know, the blogs. I don't need them niggas to have engagement or viralness. And I told you on the phone, your content don't show up in my world
Starting point is 00:12:50 or my joint. I don't watch the Hollywood Unlocks and Shade Rules. It doesn't. That's old nigga shit. Old niggas do that.
Starting point is 00:12:58 Us young niggas, we not paying attention to that. But, you was viral. Talk. Let's get it. How old are you?
Starting point is 00:13:06 I'm 36. You not a young nigga. I'm young compared to y'all. To who y'all? I don't think Flip knows what viral means. I know what viral is. We're not starting with that. Yeah, but I know what viral is. What do you mean? Viral consists of different blog sites, different, like when
Starting point is 00:13:21 your video gets a lot of traffic at a short span of time. So you think that only happened amongst the 40 and ups? No, this is Jabal right now. That's why I said stay out of it. This is between me and my man. I was just asking. Stay out of it.
Starting point is 00:13:33 I don't want to throw no shots to you. You raised your hand. But yeah. Listen, I could do it for you today. I don't need you to do it for me. And that's what I'm happy. I can get you to go viral today. No, no, I'm happy you said that. And I want to tell you why
Starting point is 00:13:46 because you have to deal with the fact that my engagement is high and I don't need to use it. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. You don't want me to say it? Can I ask a question? My engagement is high and I don't need to use it. Yeah, exactly. Can I ask a question? Can you have high engagement and still not be viral? Yes, you
Starting point is 00:14:02 can. Alright, so I think the conversation was viral. Viral consists of VEC, views, engagement, and context. The context in which I went viral looked crazy, nigga, but congratulations. You tried to make my man look crazy and you went viral. That nigga just freestyled some acronym. I thought he was spelling it out.
Starting point is 00:14:18 What did he tell me? Yo, Flip, you just haven't gone viral. It's cool. I haven't went viral. I don't even care about it, so we don't have to spend this much time on it. I do it by mistake. You saw the WWE shoot? Remember the WWE shoot? I didn't see none of that ass shit you're talking about.
Starting point is 00:14:32 It's not on your shit, right? Listen, when I look at trending and see Queens flip. True. Then score one for you. I can do it for you today. I don't want you to do it for me. I'm going to help you today. We out of here today. That's what you want to do. We out of here today. Nah, I'm good. I don't want you to do it for me. I'm going to help you today. We out of here today.
Starting point is 00:14:45 We out of here today. Nah, I'm good. I got a whole plot in my head. Nah, I'm alright. Come on. We can't let 21 Savage and them outdo us. Grab the cards. Yeah, we can't let them outdo us. What's up? How's everybody feeling? How y'all doing? Feeling great. I'm a little...
Starting point is 00:15:01 So, you guys will power through. I'm here with you guys in spirit. I love y'all. You got the back-to-back COVIDs. You got the back-to-back sickness, nigga. Go get some Buckley's, yo. Yeah, because I can't go. Oh, let me not even do it.
Starting point is 00:15:13 Yeah, I'm just sick. I'm just sick. That's what I got to get, yo. A Buckley? Some Buck. I'm going to order that shit from Canada, dog. On Amazon. Got to get Buckley's.
Starting point is 00:15:24 I done had this cough for about three months. This shit is annoying. It's been a lot longer than three months. It's been a lot longer than three months. It's been a lot longer than three months. Thanksgiving was three months ago. I don't even think Buckley's will fix that. It's been longer than six months.
Starting point is 00:15:36 Oh, shit. We doubled the time he said. It's longer than that. Respiratory illness. Word. Whoa. Don't say that to him. I'm sorry.
Starting point is 00:15:44 It's a little long. He's an alph't say that to him. I'm sorry. This nigga just on the monophasema, yo. This guy is crazy. That fucks up. What? This guy is crazy right here, son.
Starting point is 00:15:54 Did you just make a pig noise? He's making fun of her. She told him, I don't think Buckley's can fix your cold. You have a respiratory infection, right?
Starting point is 00:16:01 It might be. It's been here a really long time. So he got upset and mocked her laugh. And every time he get upset, she mute up and cower. Oh. Start melting in the couch.
Starting point is 00:16:10 Yeah, she... Oh, she puddles for you then, huh? Ooh. Is that what you think? Hey, fight all stars. You're trying to fight over another girl. Yo, yo, that's you, son. You're trying to fight over another girl.
Starting point is 00:16:20 I want to fight over the girl. Another girl. Me, I did it. I'm telling you, Tuesday. You are nuts, yo. Tuesday, I'm on your ass. You are crazy, bro. I don. I'm telling you, Tuesday. You are nuts. Tuesday, I'm on your ass. You are crazy. I don't have the energy to do that. This guy is insane.
Starting point is 00:16:29 Yeah. It's me. I know. Yeah, it's you. You're the only one storing names. Storing names. Yo, do you hear this guy? You're the only one storing names from 20 years ago to bring him home. I'm on your ass next week. I'm going to get you next week.
Starting point is 00:16:47 I don't want no smoke. Where do y'all want to start? Where do y'all want to start? Where do y'all want to begin? I don't know how much is going on. I don't know how much music dropped. Not much. Pretty quiet.
Starting point is 00:16:57 I was in a bed under a blanket. How long have you been sick for? A few days. A few days. Not too much. It's not the vid. All right. It's not the vid. I wouldn't have came in
Starting point is 00:17:05 if it was the vid and I got my Vax that doesn't matter huh that doesn't matter the fact doesn't matter the Vax does not stop you from getting it
Starting point is 00:17:13 that three year old shit too that shit that shit watered down that shit ain't got no potency no more that shit's worn the fuck off flat Vax you didn't wash the system
Starting point is 00:17:21 out with all that bullshit and then get out of here I got the Vax and I got the booster I know oh yeah yeah yeah get out of here. I got the Vax and I got the booster. I know. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. High chair, all of it. That's the Vax refill.
Starting point is 00:17:30 Just top it off a little bit. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Fuck y'all. Where do y'all want to start? Grammy weekend, Universal versus TikTok. Anywhere y'all want to go, I'm cool. Well, yeah, we can start there because I came in and Flip was playing Money Long, the song that everybody loves. Yes, yes.
Starting point is 00:17:46 Nobody found me crying like... I thought his wife left him or something. I thought he was going through something, because I ain't used to seeing niggas just sitting in a chair. Early. It was on repeat, too. I was here. And he was looking sad in his phone. No, no.
Starting point is 00:18:01 And Flip, you all right? I'm great, yeah. You sure? He's not going to tell us if he fucked up last time. He said that's... Yeah, that's true. We're here for you. Just thinking about content.
Starting point is 00:18:09 We are here for you, though. No, that was a content move. Oh. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Listening to the song? Listening to the song, coming up with an idea, yeah. To go viral? Stressing.
Starting point is 00:18:20 Stressing trying to go viral. God damn. My boy is under pressure. You can't even use it on TikTok. Yeah, I heard. Now you done. I don't use TikTok. The Universal TikTok negotiations fell
Starting point is 00:18:36 flat to the floor and Universal snatched all of their music from TikTok. And that's a lot of music. It is a lot of music. That's a lot of music. I'm not going to run it all down. Probably about a third. Third of most of the music.
Starting point is 00:18:48 In the world. In the world, probably. Their entire catalog, yeah. Maybe more. Because Universal is everybody. They're the biggest, yeah. It's Def Jam, it's Interscope, it's Geffen, it's Capitol, it's Republic. It's everybody.
Starting point is 00:19:02 It's too many people. Yeah. So they snatched all of the music TikTok TikTok responded and said some shit let me pull all this stuff up
Starting point is 00:19:11 because I just sound like so so and them snatching the music is basically going to kill half of the TikTok market where they be doing
Starting point is 00:19:18 little dances and all that other stuff I mean in essence theoretically but there's also a lot more music out there but this is a major a third yeah you know what I'm saying it's nuts I mean, in essence, theoretically, but there's also a lot more music out there.
Starting point is 00:19:26 But this is a major. A third. Yeah. You know what I'm saying? It's a lot. It's nuts. Who does it hurt more? The artists. It hurts the content creators.
Starting point is 00:19:36 No, I'm talking about out of TikTok versus Universal. Because Universal, I mean, they was paying over there to get their songs to kind of pop, too. They were. I think it hurts TikTok more. You think so? Yeah, because I see the benefit that it has for Universal. Because you can have a song that's dormant, and then somebody comes out with a little jingle. Now it goes crazy on TikTok.
Starting point is 00:20:02 Now people are going to go stream it more. So that helps Universal. Them niggas be making voiceovers to fake beats and it goes viral on TikTok. What I'm saying is that I feel like it hurts the artist more, in my opinion. Yeah, but that's not Universal. Well, in theory it is, because if Universal makes more money
Starting point is 00:20:20 than the artists make more money. Exactly. True. So in theory... You mean if the artist makes more money than Universal makes more money. Well, yeah. Either way, however you want to look at it.
Starting point is 00:20:27 In this scenario, I think Universal comes first. I have TikTok's statement in response to Universal pulling the music. Go ahead. And this says, it is sad and disappointing that Universal Music Group
Starting point is 00:20:44 has put their own greed above the interest of their artists and songwriters. Despite Universal's narrative, false narrative and rhetoric, the fact is they have chosen to walk away from the powerful support of a platform with well over a billion users that serves as a free promotional and discovery vehicle for their talent. serves as a free promotional and discovery vehicle for their talent. TikTok has been able to reach artist-first agreements with every other label and publisher. Clearly, Universal's self-serving actions are not in the best interest of artists, songwriters, and fans. I don't know if I agree. It's tough.
Starting point is 00:21:20 It's really a tough thing to... Universal's... I'm sorry, Barks. Go ahead. Now, Universal's three points of contention were, one, artist compensation. Mm-hmm. Two, the platform's handling of AI
Starting point is 00:21:38 and how that relates to... That's what a lot of people are hurting. And he fights about right now. And the third one was... Online safety for TikTok's users. Hate speech. Yeah. They didn't feel that TikTok did enough
Starting point is 00:21:52 to combat hateful speech and videos and so forth and so on. I don't know if I believe that. I don't agree with that one, yeah. I mean, it sounds like bullshit. Unless you're using my song in your hateful video. Yeah. Which I'm sure people are to some degree, but...
Starting point is 00:22:08 It puts a negative light on it. Yeah. And then again, they care about numbers. I'm about to say, does Universal really give a fuck about that when they'll stand behind some kids that's doing videos on cemeteries? Yes, they do. And it's their call what to clear and what not to clear. True.
Starting point is 00:22:25 I mean, it's definitely their call, but I don't think they have a genuine concern about hate speech. Well, it could be argued that they don't have a genuine concern about artist compensation. True. I was going to say that, too, but number three is definitely a no-no in my opinion. Number one is eh, sounds good.
Starting point is 00:22:40 I do think that there's a big disconnect and divide between the music industry and social media. Because a lot of these platforms, you can't even really properly play music because it'll get flagged and taken down. Something needs to be worked out. The social media companies are making billions and trillions of fucking dollars collectively. And none of that music is really getting back to artists. But to TikTok's point, it is good promotion for the artists.
Starting point is 00:23:08 It's a weird space. It's for the look bullshit from TikTok. Fuck that look. I kind of agree. But for the artists... There should be royalties. Everyone should be able to make some of this money, yo.
Starting point is 00:23:22 What are we talking about? I see it from both perspectives But there is a royalty It's just not to the artists If Universal has a deal with TikTok The way that they have a deal with YouTube The way that they have a deal with Spotify and Apple Or whoever they have it with
Starting point is 00:23:36 Then there is a royalty paid out It's just not paid directly to artists It's paid to Universal So the artist compensation piece is Essentially some bullshit it is and that's on Universal to then compensate their artists not TikTok
Starting point is 00:23:51 well in order to pay the artists they would have to make money too which they are but it's they ain't gonna lose day cut we're not gonna take the L we're not gonna take the L here it's your argument about Walmart changing price paying employees more we're not gonna take the L. We're not going to take the L here. It's your argument about Walmart paying employees more. We're not going to take the L over here.
Starting point is 00:24:09 So y'all are going to give us a bigger split over here, and then we'll bust that down with the artists. Our number not changing. Gotcha. They got to figure that shit out, though. It's annoying. Even as a creator, as someone who makes music and works with people people that makes music putting stuff on social media and it gets flagged and something that you own happens frequently yes and it's fucking frustrating it is and that other part
Starting point is 00:24:33 about hate speech i ain't really buying that because all these uh services care about our subscriber numbers it's a good portion of them that are spewing hate speech so if we lose all of that we're gonna lose a big portion of subscribers. And all we care about is numbers. So I don't believe that either. And the respective artists are really spewing hate speech. When you start talking about shooting your apps and all that other shit, that's hate speech. Yeah, I think we can construe that one.
Starting point is 00:24:56 Yeah, but hate speech is for people that are not putting in songs. They're not categorizing the music. That's probably considered art. So the hate speech is Lil Billy in Wichita. Who's bugging. I don't want to say that.
Starting point is 00:25:15 Lil Billy be bugging. What's that little boy named? Who? I think his name's Billy. The one that they be having in the memes that be wowing little Billy out there
Starting point is 00:25:27 going crazy in Arkansas alright so I'm gonna read all of these labels that are attached to this and boy there are
Starting point is 00:25:36 a lot of them I looked it up and according to a wiki page they are a quarter of the music business essentially
Starting point is 00:25:42 it looks like way more than that yeah it looks like way more than that I went on it looks like way more than that. I went on Universal's page directly. Yeah. It's a lot. Capital, Def Jam, whoever they are,
Starting point is 00:25:52 EMI, Geffen, Island, Republic, UME, Universal, Universal, Verve, Virgin. Once you get into them subsidiaries. American Aftermath. Yeah, there's just a bunch here Motown's over there TDE I believe is over there Capital Cash Money, Dreamville
Starting point is 00:26:11 Young Money Cash Money all of the monies Imperial, Ingrooves hey hey they tricked us Universal has
Starting point is 00:26:26 Ingrooves Island, Lava LVRN, they just MCA Nashville, Mercury, Motown Polygram, UC, Priority It's everybody They have everybody
Starting point is 00:26:41 I'm going to read y'all You want to read this Mel? I sound like shit. I got you. Read right there. That paragraph. Right there. And a little bit after.
Starting point is 00:26:52 Okay. You need your old lady reading. No, I don't need that. Increase the font a little bit. Increase the font, yo. I'm looking at you doing the... I'm not. Let me get it, girl.
Starting point is 00:27:03 I'm just clarifying. I'm clarifying. You got to slide that font slider. I'm just clarifying. I'm clarifying. You got to slide that font slider up. Let us get bigger. I am clarifying which paragraph this nigga said. Turn the phone sideways. I got it, girl. She need full screen.
Starting point is 00:27:13 I give me. She need the big bold letters. Give me the goddamn shit. I got it, girl. I got it. You sure? Yes. She wants to prove something now.
Starting point is 00:27:20 Starting right here? Yes, please. Okay. Hold it back, brother. Yes, exactly. The. Hold it back, brother. Yes, exactly. The terms of... Whoa, whoa, whoa. Listen, all y'all suck a dick and shut the fuck up, okay?
Starting point is 00:27:30 Here we go. Here we goddamn go. Okay. The terms of our relationship with TikTok are set by the contract, which expires January 31st, 2024. In our contract renewal discussions, we have been pressing them on these three critical issues. Appropriate compensation for our artists and songwriters protecting human artists from the harmful effects of ai and online
Starting point is 00:27:50 safety for tiktok's users and that was universal's three million points okay we've been working to address these and related issues with our other platform partners for example our artist-centric initiative is designed to update streamings uh remuneration, model and better reward artists for the value that they deliver to platforms. In the months since the inception, we're proud that this initiative has been received so positively and taken up by a range of partners, including the largest music group in the platform in the world. We've also moved aggressively to embrace the promise of AI while
Starting point is 00:28:34 fighting to ensure artists... Yeah, all I should say. Like, vague nonsense. Like, talking in circles. They're doing their publicist thing. Tell me why they left. We ain't agree on a bag. That's it.
Starting point is 00:28:46 Peace out. I like it, though. I like that move. I saw your face when you were talking about it. Y'all know I love the boycott, everybody stop. Disrupt. And we not getting to it. I'll pull my shit.
Starting point is 00:29:01 I was around when they had this same conversation with YouTube, but YouTube is YouTube, so of course you're going to eventually come to something. YouTube was too big, too powerful, too long. They feel like TikTok is the new kid on the block. Yeah, but TikTok got a lot of power on the block, though. Yeah, but they feel like we gave it to you. They feel like we gave it to you.
Starting point is 00:29:20 Universal feel like nobody's powerful if we don't license our music to y'all. That's how they feel. That's true. And they have a point. So we to y'all. That's how they feel. That's true. And they have a point. So we watched y'all grow your entire business. We watched y'all fight with the government over the Chinese laws and so forth and so on. And y'all don't want to pay us.
Starting point is 00:29:33 Y'all are making what y'all are making now. Y'all don't want to pay us. No. Same thing the artists say to them. Well, yeah, but the artists also sign. That's true. They came. They signed.
Starting point is 00:29:44 I can't keep fighting for the people that don't want to fight. I encourage the artists, all we got to do is look at what the big dogs do. What Universal is doing, if you are able to do that, pull that shit for a week. Pull that shit for a month. Just see. Find an alternative route. This ain't about to stop Universal at all. No.
Starting point is 00:30:04 And that's what i said now their artists might be a little i was about to ask like how like the conglomerate makes this you know this big decision but how many artists are you know feel like this decision was made without really them in mind like in terms and they don't have to yeah i get that i know i yeah i think so money long is upset. Yeah. So for the. Money long is upset. I was going to say for an artist like Drake or Justin Bieber or, you know, Taylor Swift. Who the fuck cares?
Starting point is 00:30:32 Because really, honestly, it doesn't affect them. But for like a smaller artist that, you know, came into the public view by way of streaming and stuff like that, the unknown artist that, you know, kind of hit the lick on TikTok. This is this is devastating. If a nigga came up with a dance or some young ladies did something to put it down, right? And it just picked back up. I'm sure you would get some compensation or some level of compensation for that. So it could be a B-side song for artists
Starting point is 00:31:02 that might need the money. You know what I'm saying? And now somebody did some little funny dance or did some little performative thing and now that song is starting to shoot back up because they're streaming it and all that other stuff. I think that is a financial win for them. We literally saw that happen with Chris Brown's Under the
Starting point is 00:31:17 Influence. That record was four years old on a deluxe side of the album that just fell by the wayside, but it didn't do any type of charting. TikTok, it just out of nowhere blew up over there.
Starting point is 00:31:30 He didn't even know. Next thing you know, it's on Billboard. Next thing you know, he went and shot a video for it, incorporating it in his tours. Now it's a hit record of his four years later.
Starting point is 00:31:39 There are plenty of perks. Plenty of perks. I'm sure artists can tour when their song is successful on TikTok. Yeah. TikTok. Absolutely. Shows, bookings, all that kind of stuff.
Starting point is 00:31:50 Your demand go up. Because, again, TikTok is, I don't know how many billion users worldwide. It's powerful. It is. It's powerful. But if the splits aren't right, the splits aren't right. Like, yeah, sure, maybe it blows some shit up. But if i'm getting pennies on the dollar for that blow up but i'm getting pennies on the dollar anyway on anything but none of that is right but right
Starting point is 00:32:10 so now the label is the one saying hey man the only people that can rob our artists is us exactly y'all can't rob our artists what's wrong with y'all no give me them give me all the shit y'all can't rob us it's yeah's point, yo, TikTok and the cultural thing that it's become is, as a result, large in part or a nice piece due to our music and our catalog. Now you got to pay me. I let you rock for a long time. Now I think I deserve this. But you got to pay me. Here's a question that I have that I was wondering about this.
Starting point is 00:32:42 think I deserve this. But you gotta pay. So here's a question that I have that I was wondering about this. If an artist say like they own their catalog are they considered like independent? Like fuck that. I can keep my catalog of music on TikTok? If you own your catalog you can do what you want. Okay. Gotcha. Put it where you want.
Starting point is 00:32:57 I mean that's going back to your one of the positives of this for independent artists is it gives them an option to fill that void for the time being until they figure this out. I feel like the artist is mad and they're going to
Starting point is 00:33:09 continue to be mad because they know, like you said, Universal or whatever company, they're not really getting what they're supposed to get. And then now we have a way to get more popular
Starting point is 00:33:20 or tour and you guys are taking that from us as well. True. So the artist is going to be upset and I understand them. I understand the artist.
Starting point is 00:33:28 That Money Long song was taking off. That shit was going. It's like the JID record. Well that took off. But I'm just saying, I would be pissed. It took off but my shit is still booming over there. And now gone. If I was an artist I'd be pissed.
Starting point is 00:33:43 Of course. But I would support it though. You artist, I'd be pissed. Of course. But I would support it, though. You would. I'd be pissed, but I would support it. Because I would be pissed to my label. That has nothing to do with TikTok. I support what you did with TikTok. But now you as the label, we got to go have a conversation.
Starting point is 00:33:58 What's today? Wednesday? I'd be in there Thursday morning in the corner office. We got to have a conversation. Knowing you would be tight? So let's say you were a lower to mid-level artist. Well, that's what I'm talking about. I'm still in money-long mode. You might go get five, ten grand
Starting point is 00:34:11 from a show for that song that just took off again. If I'm money-long, I'm walking in the corner office to have a conversation. A real conversation. Because she's right. The label is always going to tell the artist, yo, go get hot.
Starting point is 00:34:28 Before we invest anything in you, go get it popping. So if she gets shaken on TikTok, I think she's gotten shaken enough for them to see that and to invest some money. So we got to have a talk. Now, the future artists that
Starting point is 00:34:43 we haven't seen what your song has done on TikTok, that's going to have a talk. Now, the future artists that we haven't seen what your song has done on TikTok, that's going to be a struggle. That's going to be a struggle. But again, they're looking at TikTok like a tool to them. They'll always be a new tool. Always. That's true. That's true.
Starting point is 00:35:00 It's tough, though. That's a lot of music. That's a lot of music to come off. They got to get it right. That's crazy. They got to get it right. They gotta get it right. And to your point about the independent artists, do you think they even know how to get it up there on TikTok? To where it can blow up or something like that?
Starting point is 00:35:14 Because again, that's all, a lot of stuff was paid promo, deals behind the scenes, yo, get this hot, get that hot. The independent artists might not even have that connect. The whole world is different if black people own black music and could do this very move to all of the joints. Whole world is different.
Starting point is 00:35:33 Sure. Agreed. I love the move. I love the move. I do. And I want to see what's to come of it. I would like to see it. I've been to all the social media platforms.
Starting point is 00:35:43 The bag is going to be dropped. They got to. I don't think they have a choice. Yeah. I'm saying you said you'd like to see it be turned to all the social media platforms. I think the bag is going to be dropped. They got to. I don't think they have a choice. Yeah, I'm saying you said you'd like to see what comes of it. I think that's the only resolution. Yeah, but how long they hold out in this moment tells me how big they think their balls are. That's true. I want to see how long it takes to cave.
Starting point is 00:36:01 You think TikTok is going to cave first? I think TikTok is China. I think they could China. I think they could be on some bullshit if they want and try to drag this out. Because I don't think... Do you think that this is going to affect the, like, how many
Starting point is 00:36:15 people... I don't think it's going to affect how many people use it, use the app. I don't think it's going to stop... I don't think so. It might have a small effect. I think it would be, like, minuscule in the grand scheme of things. I don't. I don't think so at all. I don't think so. It might have a small effect. It might have a small effect. I think it would be like minuscule in the grand scheme of things. I don't. I don't think so at all. I don't.
Starting point is 00:36:29 I don't see it that way. Too many of y'all little dancey tune videos come from one of these songs. Or even just having it as background music in the content. Yeah. For whatever reason. And that generates too much money. But there's more music out there, like you said earlier. I think they'll circumvent it.
Starting point is 00:36:48 They got most of it. They got most of it. They'll take Joe's shit. The hot shit. They got the hot shit. They got the hot shit. They got most of it. Listen, that's how they move.
Starting point is 00:36:57 They move like the biggest dick on the block for us. We got everybody. All your favorites, we got them. Nothing you can do about it. Ain't no other name in pop culture music hotter than Taylor Swift
Starting point is 00:37:08 right now all her music is gone Super Bowl coming up all the press this is just more reason that they can lean on them to cave and the part
Starting point is 00:37:15 y'all need this and the part that you're missing is if it get too thick all Universal gonna do is call Sony and call they already worked out they did call Warner no and call. They already worked out their deals. Call Warner.
Starting point is 00:37:26 No, no, no, no. They said they worked out the deals with the other people. Oh, okay. Yeah, they said everybody else. Already. Partied. Yeah. Got it.
Starting point is 00:37:35 And Universal did. There's only, what, two other people in it? Three. Two or three, right? Two more. Sony, Warner. Warner. Sony.
Starting point is 00:37:41 Look at this grown people business. This big. Yo, this the other. Yeah, this is. This is trillionaire business. Yeah, this is business. This big business. This is the other. This is zero. This is above my pay grade. Way above. I got to wait until this trickles down
Starting point is 00:37:53 to ground level before I really know what's going on. Go ahead and let Lucian and them do what they're doing. Damn. You know what I mean? Oh, they on the phone.
Starting point is 00:38:04 I got TikTok folding. I got TikTok folding're doing. Damn. You know what I mean? Oh, they on the phone. I got TikTok folding. I got TikTok folding quick. I agree. I don't know how quick. I think they'll try. What's today? Wednesday. I got TikTok folding in the next week.
Starting point is 00:38:16 Really? Yes. This will be resolved quick. It's Friday. It's Friday. It's Friday. Oh. At least that's
Starting point is 00:38:25 that confidence yeah y'all harmonized through Wednesday it's Saturday I don't know what fucking day it's Saturday
Starting point is 00:38:32 I never know what day it is it's like Groundhog Day right Pitbull Day stop that's ours now wait so what's the
Starting point is 00:38:40 like routine just walk out walk your pitbull out then if he sees his shadow and start barking then we know we got alright we, and if he sees Shadow and starts barking, then we know we got, all right, we cool. He chases someone's neighbor or something like that?
Starting point is 00:38:50 Yeah, yeah, that's it. If he chases Miss Kathy, we got six more weeks of running. That'd be good. This guy's a fool, yo. All right, it's Grammy weekend. It sure is. I'm seeing all the parties. I'm getting all the DMs and phone calls.
Starting point is 00:39:03 Yo, you out here? No. Leave me alone. But congratulations to everybody that was nominated. Everybody in LA right now. Shout out to those of y'all going from LA to Vegas next week. Fun week, Blant. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:39:17 That's a fun little week they got. Expensive week. Very expensive. I didn't even think about that. People we talking about, they got that. Yeah, you're right. You're right. They got it.
Starting point is 00:39:27 Oh, yeah. Quick. Road trip, too, with joints in the back. Both guns. October. Wah! Some babies coming out in October, dog. I'm telling you.
Starting point is 00:39:40 There's some shit going on. LA to Vegas? With all the rich? Yeah. It's going down. I thought about going to Vegas. I know. I was Vegas? With all the rich? Yeah. It's going down. I thought about going to Vegas. I was about to say, stay a little higher. I'm not going now.
Starting point is 00:39:51 You going now? No. Nope, nope, nope. That's why I think I'd be giving Pillow Princess for you. Why? Because you don't be nowhere hot. Listen, I... That's them four.
Starting point is 00:40:04 Let me tell you something. I have done Super Bowl like a million times over. All-star weekend. I've covered it. I've been there. No. I am... And especially in Vegas.
Starting point is 00:40:15 Fuck no. There you go. That shit beneath you. Tell those niggas. It's a fucking nightmare. It is beneath her. I wouldn't necessarily say that. It's just like...
Starting point is 00:40:24 I'm going to say it for you. Been there, done that, got the fucking t-shirt. She had a phone already. That's my point. Come on, settle down. Settle down. Why you be attacking me, bro? How am I attacking you? Stop attacking me.
Starting point is 00:40:39 How am I attacking you? I'm saying slow down. Don't... I'm not Imani. Yeah, stop. I'm not Imani. Yeah, stop. I'm not Ish. Okay. She be on her shit with me, man. Anyway.
Starting point is 00:40:54 I think it's SZA's weekend. She's going to clean up. She's the most nominated. She had the biggest album last year. She's going to clean up. She's nominated for album of the year. I think she's nine nominations or something like that. She's cleaning up. And I hope she win them all.
Starting point is 00:41:08 Me too. Yeah. Terror Squad in there, though. T.S. Ah. Oh, yeah. What does that mean, you guys? Taylor Swift.
Starting point is 00:41:17 Taylor Swift. Okay. Taylor Swift. She's nominated. Yeah. Album of the Year is Janelle Monae, The Age of Pleasure, John Baptiste,
Starting point is 00:41:27 Lana Del Rey, Tunnel Under Ocean Boulevard. Sometimes I discover artists just simply by the nominations. I'm like, who the fuck? No, I know who she is. The Lana Del Rey album is hard. How many of you listen to this album? It's fire. I love her. Miley Cyrus,
Starting point is 00:41:41 Olivia Rodrigo, SZA, and Taylor Swift. These are all out in the air. Taylor Swift is pressure. It's a nice little fail one. SZA should get that, though. Hopefully. Hopefully. Taylor should get that.
Starting point is 00:41:53 Good thing. Taylor's going to get that. They're going to roll that. They're rolling all of that. NFL got y'all brainwashed. Listen to y'all every second. Now, Taylor Swift. Oh, can she make it back from Japan in time?
Starting point is 00:42:03 Oh, Taylor Swift. T, can she make it back from Japan in time? Oh, Taylor Swift. T.S. Terror Squad. Yo, guys, shut the fuck up. It's Black History Month. We all talking about it. I'm rolling for scissors. Yo, she already took the swag, sir. She's about to come take the grammys from you niggas.
Starting point is 00:42:17 Hey, yo, fam. Do you know how- I wasn't swag surfing anyway. I'm cool. Don't do it no more. Do you know how big of a marketing thing that would be for her to win the album of the year, then roll her little white ass right to the Super Bowl and be the booth? That would be so annoying.
Starting point is 00:42:30 How can we celebrate Black History Month with you? Why do you keep trying to bring us back to white people? I want SZA to win. I'm saying, but the powers that be out here trying to make some money, the players right there. What are you talking about? We are definitely championing scissor. What I'm saying is I can see Taylor Swift
Starting point is 00:42:50 eating a Dorito like that with a Grammy. What are we talking about, fam? What are we talking about? I hope Taylor Swift don't win shit. I hope scissor wins, fam. Yeah, I hope scissor wins. How about that for Black History Month? I could even rock with Janelle. Either one of them. Taylor Swift don't win shit. I hope SZA wins. Yeah, I hope SZA wins. I really do.
Starting point is 00:43:05 How about that for Black History Month? Honestly speaking, I could even rock with Janelle. Like, I don't, either one of them. She's not gonna. No. Respectfully.
Starting point is 00:43:11 I'm just saying. Salute. Not enough titties in the world. I hope SZA wins, yo. Ain't no nipples out. You right. Yeah, you put them titties right on up, man.
Starting point is 00:43:19 This ain't the weekend for that one. I mean, you can leave them out. You can leave them out, but SZA gonna win. I'm just saying, they ain't gonna help you here. Exactly. That's all I mean. I agree. Very nice out, but SZA goes in. I'm just saying they ain't going to help you here. Exactly. That's all I mean.
Starting point is 00:43:25 I agree. Very nice. I think SZA's performing. She's performing? I believe so. I got the little list here. SZA, Joni Mitchell, U2, Billie Eilish,
Starting point is 00:43:35 Billie Joel, the Billies, Burna Boy, Dua Lipa, Luke Combs, Olivia Rodrigo, and Travis Scott. That's it. It's a weird lineup.
Starting point is 00:43:44 That's it for Black History Month. Trevor Noah's hosting. Hey, that's great. He's a great host. Best New Artist is Coco Jones, Gracie Abrams, Fred Again, Ice Spice, Jelly Roll, Noah Kahan, Khan? Khan. Victoria Monet and The War and Treaty.
Starting point is 00:44:07 Salute. The Grammys comes on when Sunday after the Pro Bowl listen I hope none of y'all out there getting robbed getting stripped of your belongings your clothes be careful I say it every year please be careful.
Starting point is 00:44:26 Don't go to the same fucking corner store that your op is going to. Prayers for all the guys that are standing out in front of the parties that they can't get into. Yeah, be careful at Bossa Nova. Bossa Nova's a hot little spot.
Starting point is 00:44:43 Well, there's a couple of locations, so spread it out. No, the boys is outside all of them now. I know y'all think y'all safe in that new pretty one up the street. That new pretty one with the nice lights and shit. They got that one too? Yeah, yeah, yeah. They outside of them shit, so please be careful.
Starting point is 00:44:59 And Bossa Nova's so good on a late night. I do need an L.A. trip. I need to trip somewhere. Bossa Nova's so good. It's Brazilian food. Gloom a little bit. Yeah, I don't know. I'm telling you, it's a late night. I do need an L.A. trip. I need a trip somewhere. Boston, that was so good. It's Brazilian food. Gloom a little bit. Yeah, I don't know. I'm telling you,
Starting point is 00:45:08 it's a Brazilian restaurant. They got a couple of locations, but like the one is on Sunset. I got a Miami trip. And it's open so late, like four and five in the morning. That's where the hitters be. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:45:18 Wait, right now? That's where the hitters be. They be sitting there, oh, these niggas pulling up now. Don't wait till they get out. Them niggas is out there get out He want lasagna now At this time Oh my god
Starting point is 00:45:29 Get his noodle I was awesome Run that There's no Rock Nation brunch this year Oh man There's probably a lot of people very disappointed About that Sorry Elliot Sorry you'll have to make your own eggs brunch this year. Oh, man. I mean, there's probably a lot of people very disappointed about that. Sorry, Elliot. Sorry, you'll have to make your
Starting point is 00:45:48 own eggs. You don't get no food anyway. You have to make your own French toast, buddy. What are we going to do with all these pastel tuxedos? I don't know. I'm tired of y'all. I never thought y'all was getting a Roc Nation brunch. Why? Yeah, what was different this year?
Starting point is 00:46:07 Go ahead and do it. Listen to this one. He be having inside sauces, man. This fucking guy, he don't put me in the best position to win. Why? Because Hov just seems busy with other projects. Super Bowl's coming up. I think that's one of them.
Starting point is 00:46:22 Yeah. But, I mean, he's not the organizer. Says you. He might have not the organizer. Says you. Usher was on Club Shaysha and said Jay-Z called me very early in the morning, 6 o'clock. He didn't say a time. He said very early and said it's time. That sounds like the organizer. What was that super
Starting point is 00:46:37 group that he said they was going to make? Him, Usher, Pharrell, Puff, and Hove. I don't know how that would have worked. I think the new shit now, niggas is going up the club, Shay Shay and just lying. Trying to get some fodder.
Starting point is 00:46:52 Yeah, they just pulling out all of their Fat Joe stories. That's what they have to do. I'm going to get a moment out of here somewhere. Let me just say that. Cat, don't set the stage. Yeah. Everybody want to go viral? Everybody don't. Oh, that's true. Everybody don't want the stage Yeah Everybody wanna go viral Everybody don't Oh that's true
Starting point is 00:47:08 Everybody don't wanna go viral My bad bro Engagement Engagement Thank you Everybody need to just Get out Shannon way They bugging now
Starting point is 00:47:17 Yeah yeah Usher Alright dog What's going on What's going on Shout out to Shannon Club Shay Shay That was a good interview I don't care about that group though I don't out to Shannon, Club Shay Shay. That was a good interview.
Starting point is 00:47:25 I don't care about that group, though. I don't believe that for one second. That was a song. Neither do I. That was a song. If that. If that. What the fuck you talking about?
Starting point is 00:47:34 It might have been a song. Puffing there like, yo, put a cymbal over here. Put the snare there. Pharrell, look at that nigga like, hey, I kill you. I'm not. I ain't never been a hit man. Get your ass out of here. Wait hold up. You think that if Pharrell
Starting point is 00:47:49 Don't start. I'm asking you. Don't start. Go ahead. You think that if Pharrell's doing a beat that Puff should have no say and nothing on the beat? If he's in a session. I think that. Or you think Pharrell would just tell him nigga get the fuck out of my face. I mean I think if he l you think Pharrell would just tell him, nigga, get the fuck out of my face. I mean, I think if he lends...
Starting point is 00:48:07 Puff has an amazing ear. So I think that if he lends his expertise, it may be received, but 50-50, it might not. Or just, I heard you. All right, yeah, yeah, yeah. I'm going to try it. I'm going to try it. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I got you.
Starting point is 00:48:19 I got you. Snare your ass out. He has an amazing ear. Puff. Yeah, he does. And probably made some night vision goggles. Slaps knee. Anyway.
Starting point is 00:48:35 What y'all think about, well, are we done with Grammy week? Yeah, I guess we'll be done until it come on. Yeah. A list came out. Oh, go B-Dot. Might as came out. Oh, go BDOT. Might as well be. It was a TDE list. It appeared to be confidential,
Starting point is 00:48:52 but somebody leaked it. Y'all are telling these TDE tricks. I laughed at this. I don't believe this for a second. Come on, let me hear it. But it's their release slate for all of 2024. We know how TDE do. Sure.
Starting point is 00:49:10 So it's everybody. Schoolboy Q. I think Schoolboy is happening. We've seen a trailer. He's actually active on Twitter. Right after this list came out, we got that. Yeah. Well, Schoolboy, I did believe to be happening.
Starting point is 00:49:22 No, he's on deck. It should have been happening. But again, the list is Schoolboy Q, Sir, J did believe to be happening. No, he's on deck. It should have been happening. But again, the list is Schoolboy Q, Sir, J-Rock, Dochi, Ray Vaughn. I believe all those. Yeah. I don't believe all of these people are dropping a project this year. I don't believe that at all. What else on the list?
Starting point is 00:49:39 Okay. Ray Vaughn, ZekZA Absol Isaiah Rashad Carl Banks Devin Miller Lance Skywalker there's three names that are redacted it says new artist and then it says
Starting point is 00:49:50 TDE compilation oh I well I can believe all this okay these are these are like the A
Starting point is 00:49:58 Super A besides SZA and she's already been teasing shit yeah I can see that who else is the Super who else is there that's not on this list? J-Rock.
Starting point is 00:50:07 J-Rock, I said. He was on it. Oh, he was. Oh, my bad. That's what I'm saying. My bad. This is just saying everybody's dropping this year. We've seen, again, this is rollout.
Starting point is 00:50:14 Yeah. Even the whole, this is a confidential list that somebody took a picture of and leaked it. I can see a good number of these coming out. This is just to get the talk going. Sir is already in motion. I'm cool. I is just to get the talk going. Sir is already in motion. I'm cool. I'm open to being wrong, but I'm going on the record to say all of this is not dropping this year.
Starting point is 00:50:32 I got most of that coming out. I don't. I got at least half. We're seeing half of it already starting to roll out. Just give me the J-Rock album, which I thought was coming last year. I'll be happy. Yeah, he put out a bunch of singles. Schoolboy Q is March 1st, I believe.
Starting point is 00:50:47 March 1st, yeah. Blue Lips is the name of the project. He put a trailer out with it. Mm-hmm. Interested to see how that one goes. We know we want the SZA project. Yeah. That's it for me.
Starting point is 00:50:59 Nah, I'll take a zero shot. For sure. Shout out to the guys. Yeah. We'll see. You got it. We'll see, though. We'll see. You got it. We'll see, though. We'll see.
Starting point is 00:51:08 All right, y'all want to get to the shits? Always. It's Black History Month. You know we can't start Black History Month off without a fight. Oh, I thought it was the next one. Oh, my man. We got to have some ignorant shit happening. Black History Month.
Starting point is 00:51:23 Trey Songz and... Yeah. Yeah. Trey Songz and... Yeah. Yeah. Trey Songz and Jaquiz. They were playing in Dubai. In Dubai. That was the funniest shit in the world to me. What?
Starting point is 00:51:31 Yes, you heard. People keep playing around in Dubai. You want to go viral? Let's go to Dubai. We could argue all day. You know what I mean? Yeah. You might get arrested.
Starting point is 00:51:38 We can argue right here. No, we don't. Over every name that you have stored for the last 20 years. I got storage? Yeah, nigga, you want to go viral? Let's go to Dubai and go viral. No, nigga. And maybe get arrested.
Starting point is 00:51:54 No, we can argue. No, you can't. You can't get locked up over there for yelling and screaming. That's what I'm... I want the world to know this bitch-ass nigga Trey Songz is a bitch. Period. This nigga's a bitch, bro.
Starting point is 00:52:09 This nigga came in the club talking about rape. Fuck you talking about rape for a bitch-ass nigga? Then you come outside the club and swing on your little brother. You's a bitch. Chris Brown the GOAT. You's a bitch, brother. About a bitch?
Starting point is 00:52:27 That ain't even my bitch. that sound like you tell my bitches anybody anything about what we texture put. Put the message on there, bro. Fuck you, bitch ass nigga. You can never come around me. Fuck you, nigga. All right. That was Jaquese. And he went on to say Trey Songz's band from Atlanta.
Starting point is 00:52:55 I saw that as well. Yes. And shortly after that, Trey Songz posted a picture of him on the yacht saying, tour dates coming to a city near you soon. Oh, shit. Let me be the first to tell jock weiss trace songs is not banned from it might be stop one now yo let's reroute this shit man we're gonna start in atlanta we're doing three nights and if you say that again you will be banned from atlanta you have to move what is wrong with him? Oh, man. I had to...
Starting point is 00:53:26 What do we take from this? Does anybody know what happened? Somebody lost. Oh, well, and he put the picture that three of his dreads were snatched out. He put a picture. Put them on the counter and took a picture. Yeah, laid them out nice and neat. Well, see, that's the thing. Fighting when you're 4'11",
Starting point is 00:53:42 that could be difficult. Fighting as you're 4'11", that could be difficult. Fighting as you're 4'11", with dreads. You got to do what girls do, you know? Keep an elastic band on your wrist, tie that little sucker up. And being that short might have an advantage. You know, you could just juggernaut. You had a fight before? Not trying to be funny.
Starting point is 00:54:04 I've talked about that. When they chased fight before? Not trying to be funny. I've talked about that. When they chased her. Hey. The first thing that girls do. When they did what? When they chased you. When who chased my, what are you talking about? Get on him.
Starting point is 00:54:13 Don't start shit. Don't start no fucking rumors. Don't start that shit. Don't start no rumors on her. Go ahead. One of the first things that some girls, not all, do is grab a handful of your hair. You got to go where your head go. I get that. So the nigga 4'11", if I grab his hair, what
Starting point is 00:54:28 he gonna do? That's what I was saying. He should have an elastic band. Tie that shit up. Hold on, hold on. Wait, wait, wait. So now me and the nigga arguing and he go, hold on dog. Now while you're talking. What the hell are we talking about?
Starting point is 00:54:43 Sorry. You ain't have no fight. She said, no, why you talking? I'm gonna just put are we talking about? Sorry. You ain't have no fight. She said, no, while you talking. I'm going to jump with the hair bun in my hair. Yeah, all right. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Can you imagine a nigga standing across from you doing this and y'all are aggressive? I'm going to fry his ass up. I'm firing off that nigga.
Starting point is 00:54:57 Why do you think he's fighting over the ladies? Yo, y'all good? We don't know that they fought over ladies. We don't. That's what he said. He said over ladies. He just heard what he said. He said it, man. Wait, y'all got that from what he said? We don't. That's what he said. He didn't even draw that conclusion. He said it.
Starting point is 00:55:05 You know. Wait. Y'all got that from what he said? Over a bitch? That's what he said. Him. I know there's a lot of bitches in there. You see one of your little girl over a chick that be with them?
Starting point is 00:55:13 See, that don't. It's tough for me to take the word of the nigga that lost the fight. How do you know he lost? Because he went on camera. Because his dreads are on the end table. Three dreads. That don't mean he lost. That don't mean he lost. That don't mean he lost, nigga.
Starting point is 00:55:27 He lost because he did this. Yes. Yo, this nigga here. That's how you know he lost. He lost because one nigga, because he said, you banned from the city. And another nigga said, I'll be there soon. Another nigga on the boat. Another nigga on the boat.
Starting point is 00:55:37 OK. He lost. Yeah, he lost. You got it. And I know you lost because you called yourself his little brother still. Oh, yeah. Yeah, he did that to him. I didn't know he was referring to himself.
Starting point is 00:55:48 Yeah, you swung on your little bro, man. You hit your little brother. You swung on me. He walked in and cracked him. That's that victim. Yeah. Aw. Because if Dre's songs laid the mitts on Jaquese,
Starting point is 00:56:02 I don't think it was a lot at all. I would agree with that. So I don't think Jaquese, I don't think it was a lot at all. I would agree with that. So I don't think Jaquese really know why he got beat up. I think he's just assuming now. He might have said it. No, he said you walked in and said rape. See, that don't tell me nothing. That makes it even more fuzzy.
Starting point is 00:56:21 Like even weirder. No, it's vague. Vague is fine. I take that. See, if I'm taking that even weirder. No, it's vague. Vague is fine. I take that, though. See, if I'm taking that, and we just guessing right now, it sound like Jacquees might have had something to say about that. And when I say that, keep that same energy. You said, what?
Starting point is 00:56:40 Pow. Pow. That don't tell me this is over a girl. I just don't know. I don't know that it's over a girl. And then he reiterated it. But he said it. For a chick that be with them? Yeah, but.
Starting point is 00:56:48 But then he said, yeah, nigga, you a rapist. See, that's the corny shit to me. It is. That is the corny shit. Sam, jumping on your phone, period, after you just got some act right, is corny to me. But you know, he had to jump on his phone. To him. I got to hurry up and get this out there before the story come out.
Starting point is 00:57:08 So let me hurry up and get my version out there. Let me talk tough. Let me do all this. That's a new age rule that I'm so against. Absolutely. Because sometimes when a nigga is smacking the shit out of you or beating on you, they don't plan on saying nothing about nothing. Like Papoose.
Starting point is 00:57:23 Papoose still ain't said a word. At all. Salute. Come from a different era though. That's true. And here is the social media era. So I have to hurry up and get my story out first because they believe whoever get it out first is telling the truth. If you get beat up overseas
Starting point is 00:57:38 this thing is worse. You got beat up in Dubai, it's crazy. So I understand them going online and trying to clear it up now that you said that. I feel like overseas it might be better. Nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah. I'm going to take your domestic ass whooping. Facts. I want the overseas ass whooping. I don't want the Dubai ass whooping.
Starting point is 00:57:55 I don't want to be in Jamaica or Dubai getting punched in the head and beat up. Rag tagging for all these niggas. If I got to get beat up, I'd rather get beat up in Dubai. Nah. Y'all niggas are crazy. Y'all niggas are crazy. I'm going to give me sex. Next thing you know, we both locked up in Dubai.
Starting point is 00:58:09 And shit a little different over there. There you go, being scary, scary. Spice. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Sorry. I don't think you can tell on anybody over there. It was just a quick scrap. I don't think you can tell on anybody over there.
Starting point is 00:58:20 In my Dubai story, it's a quick scrap. I got a couple dollars And I'm gonna get somebody To come take care of me And nurse me back to health Oh yeah You always did My some horny shit That's you
Starting point is 00:58:30 Everything go to horny From you son You can nurse you Back to health Why you so horny bro I'm not horny at all You should work with Viagra You horny ass
Starting point is 00:58:40 I'm just telling you It's cool though Any words of advice For John Quease Get off your phone Right there Krav Maga Who?
Starting point is 00:58:51 Krav Maga Muay Thai What are we talking about Nigga What are we talking about Hair ties High security Hair ties
Starting point is 00:58:59 Do we look at Trey funny If he did indeed Pounce on somebody That's 4'11 No Trey ain't the biggest dude I don on somebody that's 4'11"? No. Trey ain't the biggest dude. I don't care. I don't care.
Starting point is 00:59:09 We got a real quick- If he was running his mouth and needed a pow-pow, give him a pow-pow. Is he really 4'11"? He's a short guy. He's short. He's a short guy. You just got to be mindful of what you say, man. 5'2".
Starting point is 00:59:21 He's short. Niggas in this industry, no matter what, when they see you as up for a lot of niggas- Would y'all fight somebody that's 5'2". He short. Niggas in this industry, no matter what, when they see you, it's up. Would y'all fight somebody that's 5'2"? Never. Depending on what we fight. Do what they said. Yeah. I don't give a fuck how tall you are.
Starting point is 00:59:32 Depending on what happened, yeah. Nah. He would have to just go a whole... If a nigga 5'2", steal off on you, you're not going to fight him? It depends on how much it hurt. And he got good jump on him, too. You going to let a nigga crack you and walk away because of his height?
Starting point is 00:59:46 Hit you when I'm running Superman shit. What happens when a nigga 5'2 punches you and you beat the shit out of him? How do you look? That you beat the shit out of the nigga
Starting point is 00:59:54 that punched you? Yeah, self-defense. We know a lot of 5'2 niggas that get busy. What are you talking about? Well, if I know he get busy, then we could do that. But if I know I could beat...
Starting point is 01:00:04 You fight a nigga you know you could beat? I'd rather not fight you than I know I could beat... You fight a nigga you know you could beat? I'd rather not fight you than I know I could beat up. But I also don't assume I could beat up everybody. And that don't mean you could beat up a 5'2". No, I'm not saying 5'2". I'm talking about they could be 5'9". I don't fuck with them 5'2 niggas because them the niggas that shoot.
Starting point is 01:00:17 Yep. That part too. Even if I pounce on them, man, that nigga got his car pre-parked at a good parking spot too. Wait right here. He right there. He got the handicap. You already short. And that nigga give you spot too. Wait right here. He got the handicapped seat. And that nigga give you the finger. Wait right here. Start pointing at you.
Starting point is 01:00:29 That nigga parked by a hydrant. He got a CDL or something that can let you park over there. I'll be right back. I ain't playing with them short niggas. Nah. You got it big dog. Little dog. Big dog. Little dog. You got it big short dog. Nah I'm good.
Starting point is 01:00:46 I ain't fighting nobody. I don't want to fight nobody. I want to fight, yeah. Yeah, I ain't. When Mel tie that hair up while they talking, that girl. I don't know how
Starting point is 01:00:52 you guys have never seen that. No, she's right, but they move fast. She's right. They move fast. When you know you're about to get busy,
Starting point is 01:00:59 you already are fucking tying the shit up. You've never seen that before? I've seen them tying their hair up walking to the girl. I've seen them tying their hair up walking to the girl. I didn't see them tying their hair up in the girl's presence. The only time they let that is when your homies is there and they said,
Starting point is 01:01:11 alright, hold on. Let her get her shit together. But if it's off to one off, I see you. You got no time. As soon as you go crack. I wish you would. I'm going to take that into respect. I'm talking about in the moment where you know the shit's going to happen. When you see, when you see
Starting point is 01:01:26 her across, you're like, oh shit. And you start preparing. Let's go, man. Feisty now. That's what I'm talking about. A tiger.
Starting point is 01:01:37 A tiger. That's a good one. That's a good one. You're the tiger. That's what she said. That's hate. That's hate. Are we still rolling with that tiger thing for now?
Starting point is 01:01:50 Yes we are We're rolling with it It's Black History Month I'm with you A little helpless little tiger Stop Stop Like a handicapped tiger Like a tiger that got mauled on by a lion or something fighting to stay alive spots falling off yeah stripes a little decrepit i know y'all niggas
Starting point is 01:02:15 are not that nigga that was fine that was fine I said the spots falling off. I'm fucked up. It's that time. All right. It is my favorite time of the show. That is PrizePix. Woo! Yeah! PrizePix is the largest daily fantasy sports app in all the land.
Starting point is 01:02:38 Really exciting and simple to play. If you're good with strategic skills, then this is the place for you to be. All you have to do is select two or more players, look at their projected stat line, and pick more or less for your chance to win up to 25 times your money. And with the Demon Picks, up to 100 times your money. I got to start paying attention to these other sports now. Yeah. They got everything.
Starting point is 01:03:01 They got everything. They got everything. Yeah, everything is up there now. I'm about to be a LOL fan. I don't even know what that is. They're legends. My genius picks, I'm giving them to you again. I have Patrick Mahomes, more than.5 passing yards
Starting point is 01:03:13 because they're doing this new thing where they give you a gimme. Special. And that is the gimme. That is the special. Patrick Mahomes, more than.5 passing yards. I'm going Brock Purdy, less than 249.5 passing yards. And Harrison Butker for more than 1.5 field goals. Okay.
Starting point is 01:03:32 Those are my Joe Budden Genius picks. Don't forget to use the code JBP. Good luck to all of you out there, and I'll see you guys next week. Mm-hmm. There you have it. All right, lovers and friends. Yes. Lovers and Friends. Yes. Lovers and Friends. The concert, the festival
Starting point is 01:03:48 that everybody is saying they haven't been paid for. Somebody tell me what's happening. Yeah, Lovers and Friends every year puts out their festival lineup. Who is Lovers and Friends? Because when I asked this years ago, niggas told me Usher. And I think Usher came out and performed. So I was like, oh, maybe he does.
Starting point is 01:04:03 But who owns this shit? We don't know. We don't know. Some TikTok nigga somewhere. But when they announced the festival, we all came in here like, damn, this lineup is fire. The lineup was huge. Every year. The lineup was crazy.
Starting point is 01:04:16 Every year. Well, that's what they do every year. No, but they ain't do it this year. They put anybody named that they wanted to put up that bitch and was like, yo, we'll figure it out later. But I don't know that they didn't do that in the year's prior. That's true. And to be honest, if you're looking at it, it's kind of genius. It's some bullshit, but it's kind of genius.
Starting point is 01:04:34 I've seen, this is an old promoter trick. Promoter slap you on the fly to get the money and then pay you. Now I got enough money to pay you. Now sometimes it backfires, especially in social media climate, because I can speak out today. Sure. And it's backfiring now. Yeah, it's backf money to pay you. Now sometimes it backfires, especially in social media climate, because I could speak out today. Sure. And it's backfiring now.
Starting point is 01:04:47 And shut that shit down. Yeah, it's backfiring. How many artists have basically said, I don't know anything about this? First Mary J. Blige did it. Mary was first. Or Juvenile was first. No, Mary was the first one I saw. Mary was before Juvenile.
Starting point is 01:04:59 Mase was the first one I saw. That is true. And then after everybody else came out, Mase just kept going. Yeah, it was Mase first. And Mary's back on now. First Mary put a statement out saying that... I thought that it conflicted with her more than a woman. That was her original statement. You're speaking over me.
Starting point is 01:05:15 My bad. Sorry. That was her original statement that she was preparing for her festival that she had. And now she's back on there. And they moved her name up higher. Get it right. Get it right. Juvenile did speak out.
Starting point is 01:05:34 He ain't on it. Juvi said, yo, don't put my name on that shit unless you send it in the back. I have 9,000 other names. Thanks, Juvi. Peace, big bro. Yo. What? Don't. No, Juvenile. Thanks, Juvi. Peace, big bro. Yo. Yo.
Starting point is 01:05:47 What? Don't do that to Juvenile. I'm not doing nothing to Juvenile. Them niggas would have put Joe Button on there. They would have sold mad tickets. And you would have cursed their ass out. What's mad? Yo, hello?
Starting point is 01:06:00 I thought I said that low enough where he heard me, but you didn't. It's my fault. My man, my man. They would have cracked him. Nah, I would have called and told him to get my name, but you didn't. It's my fault. I'll let you know. My bad. They had to crack them. Nah, I had to call them and tell them to get my name the fuck out of there. Don't play with me. We ain't pumping nothing up today. Pumped down.
Starting point is 01:06:14 Stupid, yo. Well, shout out to lovers and friends and the people that have or have not been paid. Shit, it's the new Fyre Festival. But the crazy part is, so I remember the first time we saw the festival. It was like, yo, there's no way this could happen. Because it's one day. A festival with this type of lineup needs at least a week.
Starting point is 01:06:31 At least a weekend. But it was one day. We were like, it couldn't happen. Then you start to see tweets and posts from people that was like, nah, this shit went down and it was dope. So I don't know if they got people going up there to do one 30 seconds of a song. I heard it was multiple stages, but I don't, nah, this shit went down, and it was dope. So I don't know if they got people going up there to do one 30 seconds of a song. I know I heard it was multiple stages,
Starting point is 01:06:47 but I don't know how they squeezing all of this in one day. But I would love to check one out one day. I ain't going this year. But, yeah, shout out to everybody going, man. No, take my name off the flyer, man. We don't have nothing in writing. Don't put my name on your flyer, though. We don't have nothing in writing. Don't put my name on your flyer, though. But like I said, that's the promoter trick.
Starting point is 01:07:08 That's what they do. That's a bad trick. They run it up, and now I'll talk to you. That is a bad trick. Now when you hit me and say, yo, I need X amount to be up there, I got it. Because they selling tickets out the gate. As soon as they announce the flyer, they selling tickets. Based on my name.
Starting point is 01:07:21 They selling VIPs. They selling all of this add-on shit. So, yeah. Alright, cool. We got you up here now. Here go your money. Married and cracked their ass. Yes, she did. Married and cracked their ass. See, that's what happens when you have a following and a name. You can go out there and put that little video out there and all your people
Starting point is 01:07:38 are going to say something. She cracked them. She cracked them. That was. Hey. You did it again to me, Ish. You did it again, big dog. I didn't know where he was going with this. I hope you're proud of yourself. I tried to call you the next day. You wouldn't answer my call.
Starting point is 01:08:12 I can't believe I let you do it again. And you let me do it. Yes. I'll pick that up in a second. Speaking of lovers and friends. Speaking of lovers and friends. Speaking of lovers and friends. This is what I learned. This is what I learned from mine and Ish's little kerfuffle.
Starting point is 01:08:35 Again. That went viral? That went viral. Again? Everybody fucking, everybody hitting my phone and DMing me. They all on his side. You don't say. You don't see why?
Starting point is 01:08:49 Not at all. I think they all a little. Everybody? Everybody? Everybody was on his side. Everyone. So you think everyone's crazy? Real question.
Starting point is 01:09:05 One more time. Tell them who was on his side. Everyone was on his side. Just a real question. You think he can't speak for himself? Or does he have a parrot? No, I was just asking a question. I was just asking a question.
Starting point is 01:09:16 You was on his side, right? I was just... Right? Always on his side, right? Won't leave that shit. It's comfy over there. No, I... No. To answer your question, no, I don't see why everybody's on his side, right? Won't leave that shit. It's comfy over there. No, I, no. Oh!
Starting point is 01:09:26 To answer your question, no, I don't see why everybody's on his side. I don't know. I think it's because he turns red. I don't know. But what I love...
Starting point is 01:09:32 I could answer why. Please tell me. Because you changed the whole argument. Like, literally, what y'all argument... Are y'all, are y'all, is y'all comprehension off?
Starting point is 01:09:43 Dog. It sounded like yours was. I have to make sure I understand this time. And I'm not going to yell, so I'm going to understand. All right, let me. I was trying to moderate this. The premise of the. Do it.
Starting point is 01:09:51 The premise of the argument was me saying, I don't intentionally fuck behind none of my friends. Right? Isn't that the only argument? Right? Yes, that was your argument. So take it away. No, that was the argument. You said it away. No, that was the argument. You said, and intentionally wasn't in that argument originally first.
Starting point is 01:10:10 You slipped that in there just now. That word was never in there. See, this is what y'all do. Hey, Imani! Bro, I'm... Now, now, niggas. See, I'm not... Fire up that stove!
Starting point is 01:10:20 I'd love to go... Yeah, fire it up. Not intentionally. You have to know, knowingly. Knowingly fuck behind your friends. I mean, it's the same shit. You would have to know that your friend fucks somebody. What are you talking about?
Starting point is 01:10:30 Here was the argument. You said, I don't know what I, you would not fuck behind any of your friends. Would not do it. No. And then he just posed to give you, he was giving you an example of someone where you were either about to do that, he was giving you an example of someone where you were either
Starting point is 01:10:46 about to do that, attempting to do that. And that's where you lose me at. And that's what I learned from this. There's a bunch of people out there that think if you kiss somebody, you trying to fuck them. Yes. And all of y'all here think
Starting point is 01:11:02 that. No. What kind of kiss? I don't think that. No. What kind of kiss? I don't think that. Look. That doesn't matter. That matters. I'm just being, I'm keeping it a fuck. If you are on your way home and run up to a poppin' public bar in Manhattan,
Starting point is 01:11:16 and the girl is in there drunk, pull you to the back of the public bar and kiss you and you taste that little tequila on her mouth, you know, that kiss, and then you take your ass home little tequila on her mouth. You know, the good that kiss and then you take your ass home. Y'all can't think that we was about to fuck in the public bar. It's happened before. I have never fucked in the public bar. No, I haven't.
Starting point is 01:11:35 That's the white boy shit. No, it ain't just white. You never, in the club? No, I have class in the quorum. In the club. Now nobody want to talk. now nobody want to talk now nobody want to talk we can't talk why we really can't talk can't or can't cannot why not i would love to talk but there's things i can't say and it changes the argument i can't we, we can't talk. At the end of the day... I'm saying that you can fuck without kissing,
Starting point is 01:12:09 and you can kiss without fucking. That is true. Correct. And if you know that to be true, then how am I moving the Google? But here's the bigger issue for me during the argument, is that what I agree with Joe was, when he said,
Starting point is 01:12:22 why are you listening to a bitch over your friend while you never believe your friends? And where we from, we don't listen to our man. Yeah, that's not... That's not real code. Unless there's a pattern that you saw
Starting point is 01:12:32 when you caught a nigga in the lie, I kind of was on the side. I was whispering to you like, ish, why? That's the part I agree with. That's totally against bro code. The girl didn't say they fucked.
Starting point is 01:12:41 No, but the girl said that he tried to fuck her. He tried to fuck him. That's what you said she said. You said that, Ish. He said that. And he's never had that conversation with me, and the girl ain't stupid enough to say nothing like that to me. I'm quiet. Just let me know when I can go.
Starting point is 01:12:55 That was just my thing. Joe and I have had a conversation about said girl, in which Joe told me that he... See, that's got to stop too. He got to let him finish. He let everybody else talk. But he's starting with something I told him. Address it
Starting point is 01:13:11 after he finished though. Let him get his shit off. Joe and I have had a conversation about his run in with the girl where Joe confirmed what the girl said. That's number one. So I'm not believing the girl.
Starting point is 01:13:28 I'm believing Joe and the girl because there's stories. Joe has never told you that I tried to fuck this girl. I didn't. Who said that? Joe told me that he was tongue kissing said girl.
Starting point is 01:13:38 He changed the location for our argument, but I let it rock because the premise is still the same. Joe told me that he and the girl were on a late night rendezvous kissing. I didn't make that up. The girl didn't tell me. My man and the girl
Starting point is 01:13:52 told me. So I'm not believing the girl over my man because my man's story is the same as the girl outside of the location. So that's you that interprets that as I was trying to fuck her. That's something. You said that she did tell you that he tried to fuck her.
Starting point is 01:14:06 I did say that. Listen to what I said. Joe said that he was with the girl powwowing. Cool. The girl told me she was with Joe powwowing. The girl's intent is going to be, yeah, he tried to fuck me, because that's what most 99.8% of niggas is doing at two or three in the morning when they start tongue kissing
Starting point is 01:14:28 a girl is we trying to get right with the girl. In a public bar? Was there any petting involved? Was there a crotch grab? Ass grab? Boob grab? Where I come from, this has happened before where you kiss in the spot and go on about your business.
Starting point is 01:14:43 Yeah, it happens. There's no follow-up text. This was a spontaneous, in-the-moment kiss. The end, there was nothing following that. So my point to Ish was, Ish know me. Ish know I'm a certified killer. Sniper. I got a question. He know I'm a certified killer.
Starting point is 01:15:00 Big freeze. He also knows that if I wanted to pop this woman, that the woman would have been popped. So if you roll him with whoever is saying, then why do you think she wasn't popped? Can I go first? I can't answer?
Starting point is 01:15:14 That's a better question. Yo, he don't need to... But when Mel did it for you... I agree, nigga. I agree. That's not what he did. I agree with him, nigga. So that means the bitch must have told you that he wanted to fuck and I agree, nigga. I agree. That's not what he did. I agree with him, nigga. So that means the bitch must have told you that he wanted to fuck and I didn't give him no pussy.
Starting point is 01:15:30 Having those type of conversations to me is weird in the first place with a bitch about your man. That's where I'm from. That sounds crazy. Ish know that the girl would be pop if I was trying to pop. That sounds crazy. That's why I stand. So he get on the air and want to frame it a certain way and use his little fucking defy words.
Starting point is 01:15:46 Nigga, you know that I was not trying to fuck that girl. I just wanna ask one question. Please. Which is the original argument? I'm just waiting for the people to say. Was she, cause you referred to her as like, sewer rat. She's for the streets, stop. Yeah, she's for the streets.
Starting point is 01:16:02 What I'm saying, she was She was that when you met her? Yes. Yes. In public, nigga? Yes. Beautiful lips. All right, go ahead. Beautiful lips. Go ahead, you go.
Starting point is 01:16:14 Salutes. I don't even know why we're having this conversation. All right, so now, please, I'm letting everybody speak. One, Joe has modified the location of where the kisses were taking place. No, I have not. It don't matter. That's a real minuscule detail. It does matter, though.
Starting point is 01:16:33 Number two, it does. Very much so, in fact. It matters if it's in a private place. We're in a public place. Bar to bar don't matter to me. It was a bar. It was a bar. I'm telling you. Your friend, again, is telling you where this happened
Starting point is 01:16:48 since you've never spoken to me about this until we were on the outtown. You and I did speak about this. You the only one who remembers. I don't remember. That's fine. You don't remember a lot. Number two, did this happen?
Starting point is 01:16:59 I walk in the spot. It's about 1.30 in the morning. I walk in the Spitzot. Who do I see? My man Joe Beezy in the spot. It's about 1.30 in the morning. Uh-huh. I walk in the Spitz out. Yeah. Who do I see? My man Joe Beasy in the spot with Shorty. And? Nothing.
Starting point is 01:17:13 On a late night. Not just me and her? I've never been anywhere with just me and her. Dog, could I speak? Because you got good. Dog, can I speak? I walk in the spot. My man Joe Beasy in the spot with Shorty and her friend,
Starting point is 01:17:27 which is normal for all of us. That's nothing for us to do. Now this complication could get a little further. I left out some details to spare my man. I can leave out the details. I don't know what you're talking about. So when this happens and Joe gets the convenient amnesia, So when this happens and Joe gets the convenient amnesia, one, in Joe's eyes, Joe could be laying in the bed naked with the girl and say, yo, I had no intent on fucking the girl.
Starting point is 01:17:55 Could any of us prove him wrong? No. So all of us are going to lose that particular argument. Because Joe, unless he penetrates the girl, always has plausible deniability because I never popped. No, as niggas, you know when somebody's trying to pop a girl. Yeah, 2 o'clock in the morning when I'm tongue kissing her in the back of a spot, I'm trying to fuck. Oh, see, I am not. Let me ask you a question, Ish.
Starting point is 01:18:15 Let me ask you a question, Ish. Ish, hold on. I'm not. Hold on, Joe. What's the time you would be in? Let me ask you a question, Ish. Me? Oh, yeah, I don't know. Let me ask you a question.
Starting point is 01:18:24 Don't put y'all Horniness on me I wouldn't If you If you kissing a girl Right And you don't pop If she wants to pop
Starting point is 01:18:33 And you don't pop Don't women have Fragile ego Fragile So what A lot of 90% of women When you don't pop
Starting point is 01:18:41 Or if you Don't return a text Will say He tried to fuck you. That's the line people use. We've talked about this before. That's my beef with him. What I keep telling you is that there are...
Starting point is 01:18:53 Did she say anything about you? Did she say it like she curves him? Did she say that? I'm asking you. He want to hold her down. No, I don't. He want to hold her down. This is my man. I look up to you, Joe. This nigga is crazy, bro. I'm telling you.
Starting point is 01:19:07 Yo, let's move past this, bro. I'm more shocked that y'all, I only brought it up to say, I'm more shocked that so many people out there think that if you kiss, you trying to fuck. No, it's other things. I don't think that's what it was, Joe. I think that's all he's got on me. I don't think that's what he said.
Starting point is 01:19:23 They said you said that I don't fuck behind my niggas. And he's proved he's not true. It's all right, though. It's cool. What I'm saying is this. If niggas say, yo, I hate white cars. Don't go buy a white car. And then when you say, yo, but this ain't a car.
Starting point is 01:19:36 It's an SUV. Or, yo, this ain't a car. It's a hybrid. Like, yo, fam, chill out. If we're going to say it, say it. Or don't say it at all. Because in my opinion. So this is where, let's clear up this. Dog, in how I think, this is an honest, given truth.
Starting point is 01:19:52 Some people in here can confirm. It's not about a girl. I don't care about a girl. Yo, you can't police her box. If I hit it first, and then Joe followed up behind me and hit it, guess what? She wanted Joe to hit it. Who am I to say anything about that? So it's the code violation.
Starting point is 01:20:08 None. There is no code violation. There is no code violation in that. That's where the argument is getting misconstrued. Yeah, he just trying to say that I did try to fuck the girl and I'm saying I didn't. It's just. I thought the code violation was fucking behind your friend. That's not a code violation.
Starting point is 01:20:23 It's not. Okay. Nah. It don't have to be. I mean, it can. That's not a code violation. It's not. Okay. Nah. It don't have to be. I mean, it can be, but it don't have to be. It's a code violation, but it's not. It depends on who the chick is. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:20:31 It depends on the level of involvement between a sex guy and a girl. If a girl's from the streets. Like an ex-girlfriend. Yes. That would be a violation. That's a violation. Okay. But if she was a...
Starting point is 01:20:41 For the streets. Sewer rat. I'm not calling a girl all that. If she was just somebody that I didn't have a strong affinity for, or she didn't hold a special place in my heart or my life. She was some work. Yeah. Nigga, let's dance.
Starting point is 01:20:54 And cha-cha slide. And, you know, I thought of some more. Slack surf. Ish might not have known she was for the streets. I feel like you brought that up the last time. That wouldn't... It doesn't matter. What would that matter? It doesn't matter at all. No, it could matter time. That wouldn't, it doesn't matter. What would that matter? It doesn't matter at all.
Starting point is 01:21:07 Nah, it can matter. It doesn't matter. The point of the argument was, I don't fuck behind my niggas. But we didn't fuck. This is what Joe said. I didn't meet the girl through you. Now we gonna get to the crux. Joe said, I didn't meet the girl through you. I said, I don't remember meeting the girl through you.
Starting point is 01:21:22 I told him the day, time, location of when he met said girl. And I still don't remember. He then moves and says, she don't count. She for the streets. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. That's not... No, you keep moving my point around.
Starting point is 01:21:35 No, I remember him saying he met her through somebody else. I met her through somebody else. You were saying no. I told him, no, you didn't. But he's like, okay, that could be true. I don't remember that.
Starting point is 01:21:44 And when I see her, I still don't associate meeting her through you. I met her through this person. That has happened to me before. I met somebody around this person. And these are extra details because I never tried to fuck this girl. You have to find another girl that you popped, that I tried to pop, for you to win this one.
Starting point is 01:22:02 I don't even care. You kept forcing this conversation to the airways. Yeah, because we're here, man. Get the fuck out of here. I didn't even want to have this conversation, fam. You're goddamn right I did. What else is important? Oh, man.
Starting point is 01:22:14 Oh, Usher dropped. The track list, right? Yes. He dropped the track list and he dropped a record. Yeah, he dropped a record. I like this song. It's called Ruin. Hey.
Starting point is 01:22:31 Hey. Yo. This shit is smooth. What? All I can do is congratulate You really for everybody You really for everybody Wake up in the morning A different girl be on my line Constantly calling And every day I still decline Say this exactly what you did Constantly calling Every bit still defined Say this exactly what you did
Starting point is 01:23:09 You ruined me for everybody You ruined me for everybody These R&B niggas are so slick, boy. These R&B niggas are slick. Hey, yo. You ruined me for everybody. All it take is a line like that. I want to do it, too.
Starting point is 01:23:31 And you're going to throw it right in your repertoire. Look, man. I ain't used to be like this before you. You did this. I'm excited for that show. Word. Me, too. Me, too.
Starting point is 01:23:43 The first half of it, I got to find the track list, but the first half is all the Summer and 21 and all of the all of those bops. Let me find the track list. So, track list is
Starting point is 01:23:58 the features or which one? The second half is what I cared about. Yeah, the first half is feature heavy. Burner Boy, Summer Walker, 21 Savage, Lotto, The Dream, Her, and the rest is a solo. It's 20 tracks total. Damn. Including one remix. Damn.
Starting point is 01:24:18 Usher and Her might be. I want to hear Usher and Her. That's the one I'm looking for. Is it a new Usher and Her record or the one that's out already? No. That's Risk It All? That's the one i'm looking for is it a new usher in her record or the one that's out already that's risk that's risk it all that's when it's out oh okay that was for the uh color purple soundtrack oh yeah i thought it was pretty funny in the shay uh shannon sharp interview and he's like and i'm fully independent now yeah i just called up larry jackson and uh la reed and i was like um i ain't really sure that's how that goes.
Starting point is 01:24:45 I don't think that's fully independent, really. You know what they mean by independent. I don't know if I do anymore. No, no. Independent just means I own it. That's it. That's it. A label don't own it.
Starting point is 01:25:01 All that other stuff, that was the argument with Chance before, where it's like, no, I'm independent. And it was like, yo, no, you're not. You have all these partnerships and shit's everywhere else. Yeah, but I own it all that other stuff that was the argument with chance before where it's like no I'm independent it was like yo no you're not you have all these partnerships and so shits everywhere else yeah but I own it though to what he's saying explain it what cuz normally when you sign to a label they own your project true well people are most of the time yeah now a lot of times people are maintaining the ownership and they're just getting the deal for distribution distribution through the label okay ownership and they're just getting the deal for distribution,
Starting point is 01:25:25 distribution through the label. Okay. So now they're, you know, their thing is, that's where the partner word comes from. So now it's, I'm independent because I own this project,
Starting point is 01:25:35 but I have a deal in place for y'all to take care of distribution. Gotcha. Okay. Yeah. It's a, send me the track list. I got you. It's an interesting, an interesting take on independence
Starting point is 01:25:47 but salute I mean but so now in those distribution partnership situations can you say yo I'm gonna pull my distribution partnership from Universal and go over here to Warner if you want depending on the deal
Starting point is 01:26:04 yeah probably or would it still be some contractual shit? It's probably contractual for a certain amount of time. Okay. Gotcha, gotcha, gotcha. But it could be a one-off too. You know what I mean? Could be just this album. Yeah, when you own it, you got kind of freedom to play around and do all that type of shit.
Starting point is 01:26:19 Alright, here we go. Usher, let me see. One, coming on, good, good. A-Town Girl, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. Here we go usher let me see one coming on good good a town girl no no no no no no no no here we go right around track nine stone cold freak followed by ruin which we just heard that's what we just played followed by big followed by on the side followed by i am the party bitch it doesn't say that now we're about to turn up i am the party followed. It doesn't say that. Now we about to turn up though. I am the party followed by I love you followed by please
Starting point is 01:26:50 you followed by luckiest man. You already know what's happening on these. That's when the Usher high pitch voice come out. Followed by Margiela followed by room in a room followed by one of them ones. Followed by Room in a Room. Followed by One of Them Ones.
Starting point is 01:27:06 Yeah. That's what I need to hear. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Right there. I need to hear the second half. The bottom half. Yeah. Because I know what he's doing in the first half.
Starting point is 01:27:13 He's doing all his bops, his little dancey dance tunes, Super Bowl shit. That's shit to sell. Yeah. Hey, sell your records. I ain't mad at nobody selling their records. That's why y'all got these names on these records and et cetera. This is to sell. But on the side, that's when I do my best work
Starting point is 01:27:27 You goddamn right Hit that little fucking music shit On the Apple TV Get to spooting Right to the side Don't let me have a good headboard That I can maneuver around with Some leverage
Starting point is 01:27:43 Get that leverage with the foot Yeah Like a kickstand a good headboard that I can maneuver around with some leverage. Get that leverage with the foot. The foot gotta be... Yeah. Like a kickstand. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You know what I mean? You know what I mean? You gotta wake up first.
Starting point is 01:27:57 Wake up first. You hit that pussy with a different vigor when it's from the side. What you doing? Wake up. Wake up, too. what you doing? Yeah, I know. Ah! You wake up. You wake up too, you gotta smack your man a little bit. Find the vein.
Starting point is 01:28:13 You gotta find the vein. Oh, shit. Before you shoot up. Get up, nigga. Get up, nigga. It's time to put in work, nigga. That's right. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 01:28:23 Let's go. Nah, that's that. I start rubbing that shit with my shit. You know what's coming. Yeah, yeah. Give me a few minutes. You feel the pat? You feel him sitting there? You know how you get the old car?
Starting point is 01:28:30 You got to pump it a little bit, though. You got to pump it a little bit. Burn up. But once you get the going, word is over. Yeah, I can't wait. I can't wait to hear this project. How y'all think you're going to do with the Super Bowl? Amazing.
Starting point is 01:28:41 Amazing. He a performer, yo. Yes. He's a killer. He a performer. You've seen him live, so you tell us. He smoked that Vegas run he did. But Super Bowl is different.
Starting point is 01:28:52 How many minutes is it? 13, 14 minutes. 13, something like that. 13, 14 minutes. Good enough. That boy been doing this since he was a kid. I think it's a layup for him. He'll come out there with skates and change a fit on you. All of this shit. Because again, you one of them, yo. I've not heard one bad review from the Vegas show,
Starting point is 01:29:09 and I know people that went from all different walks of life. True. He had to put on hours, you know what I mean, hour-long performances. How was it, an hour and a half? Yeah, it was longer than that. Really? Yeah. Over two?
Starting point is 01:29:22 Yeah, a little bit. Really? Yeah, I was there for a second so fam if you can smoke two hours 13 14 minutes and you got
Starting point is 01:29:30 every resource on the planet behind you and at your disposal I don't the 13 14 minutes probably harder no possibly
Starting point is 01:29:37 yes or no I think it'd be much harder because now you you talking about getting the right records the right amount of time he got enough I don't know
Starting point is 01:29:44 it's not about... But I do want to hit certain songs, so how much of this one can I do? You know what I'm saying? And still got to perform it. It's hard, but it's Usher. I didn't love the West Coast one. I didn't love the Rihanna one like everybody else.
Starting point is 01:29:59 I didn't. West Coast. I think Rihanna... I think Rihanna did what she could do Yeah she was pregnant She was pregnant And still did the most And she did the whole Floating stage
Starting point is 01:30:12 All of that shit was fly She couldn't really get out there and give us Bad Girl Riri She was pregnant The LA one was eh That was the shit to me I like that That was probably one of my favorite ones I just been watching footage of the old Super Bowl show.
Starting point is 01:30:26 Yes. Like Mike and 93. Mike and them used to get busy. Prince. Prince. You mean when Mike sat with all the kids and shit in the stand and all that? The Super Bowl, right? I think the kids came later, if I'm remembering right.
Starting point is 01:30:39 The Hill of the World. It was crazy. That was crazy. At the end. Yeah, I just think Usher is... He bred for this. You know what I'm saying? Again, I only got to do 13 minutes.
Starting point is 01:30:49 I'm going to hit you with all of the... Don't let him have to write. And look at all you fucking fiending-ass artists now going to try and sneak an album out on Super Bowl Sunday on the back of Usher. Yeah. I hate that. You're damn right.
Starting point is 01:31:02 Yo, let me have my moment. Yeah, all right. You're going gonna have your moment I'm gonna get a little bit of that too Who else is supposed to drop? I'm trying to sell some music I've seen some people Promoting their music
Starting point is 01:31:10 Dropping on February 8th Whatever that day is Oh okay I'm dropping a single I'm gonna drop something How would that help? Nigga I'm out in Vegas It's party time
Starting point is 01:31:18 All eyes are in one spot Shopping for music And that But that's my argument To y'all before Like I don't understand why i would even push my art my album if right under drake or taylor swift or whomever when they go to buy they shit hopefully i got enough cachet at my label to have my shit right up under theirs
Starting point is 01:31:37 and i'm gonna piggyback off of them y'all say that that's not a good idea i'm i to certain i'm of the belief that i wouldn't do it i'm'm not saying it's a bad idea, but I wouldn't do it. I think to those chasing numbers, because again, a lot of times they want the runway. I only got the number one because there was nothing else out. Gotcha. The number one to a lot of these people means more than
Starting point is 01:31:57 what the album fucking sells. Just to say I had the number one album in the country or the number one album on iTunes or whatever. So now I got to pick that time where there is nobody out there. The block is completely quiet. Now I can run out here and say, yeah, I'm number one for an hour.
Starting point is 01:32:13 I only needed to be number one for an hour. Yeah, that's what I'm saying. If it was just an hour, my claim of being number one is a factual claim that I can prove. Whereas if it's a big dog dropping, I don't stand a chance at being number one is a factual claim that I can prove. Gotcha. Whereas if it's a big dog dropping, I don't stand a chance. At being number one. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:32:27 Even if your shit is fire, they're probably going to listen. If the Usher shit is more fire, I'm going to be listening to Usher all week. Yeah, I'm going to go back to Usher. Yo, you bought that shit? What? You bought it. Oh. Well, they're not buying music.
Starting point is 01:32:38 They're streaming. They're streaming. That's true. Yeah. It's different. Like I saw Fabio is dropping his project on February 9th. Yeah. And that's also the date that Kanye and Ty Dolla $ign.
Starting point is 01:32:50 He was like, yo. That's not coming. It ain't got to happen. Good, now. But Fabio was like, well, I'm not moving my date. I'm glad he's dropping on the same day. But some people approach it that way. Like, all right, cool.
Starting point is 01:33:01 Well, I think that works when you're not the same genre or marketplace. Fabio said that as if he was Kanye asked him to move the date. No. Why would he do that? What do you mean why would he do that? Why would Kanye ask Fabio to move the date? Because I want the date to myself. I don't think he worried about
Starting point is 01:33:22 asking someone to move a date don't necessarily don't have to always say you worried about you just wanted yourself just move I just want the conversation
Starting point is 01:33:31 and you my man he was on my last album listen I'm telling you he might be on it true cause he keep changing he might be on it
Starting point is 01:33:39 it ain't on the one I got but if Kanye asked Fabio to move and Fabio was still like, nah, nigga, I need that date. My album is dropping. Then, yeah, I'm in support of that. You're in support of Fabio. Yeah, me too.
Starting point is 01:33:54 If I want to drop this date, I'm not going to move. A thousand percent. I mean, again, unless you're one of those ones who are trying to look for that empty runway so you can sneak your number one in there,
Starting point is 01:34:03 then, yeah, I'm going to move. And I'll keep moving until, all right, ain't nobody dropping in one in there, then yeah, I'm going to move. And I'll keep moving until, all right, ain't nobody dropping in this little two-week span. I'm going right here. I'm about the money, bro. But I understand. Yeah, but that number one can lead to...
Starting point is 01:34:16 Some more shit. You got a number one album. I understand. Garrett Morris got a star in the Walk of Fame. Nice. What was that? Martin. You don't know the Walk of Fame. Nice. What's that like? Martin. You don't know Stan from Martin?
Starting point is 01:34:28 Stan, the one who owned the radio station. That's his name? Yes. Oh. Damn, I know a black person you ain't know? Y'all doing great for Black History Month. This one, yo. I didn't know Stan's real name.
Starting point is 01:34:43 It's crazy, bro. You knew it wasn't Stan. I knew it wasn't Stan. I knew it wasn't Stan. Yeah, I just mentioned that. He was somebody I always assumed already had a star. That's dope. I think it was his 87th birthday. Oh, wow.
Starting point is 01:34:54 Damn. 87 or 89. Really? Yeah. Congratulations. Congratulations. I'm sorry, store. They locked up Hootie.
Starting point is 01:35:03 I know y'all don't care. Nah, not Hootie. They got Hootie. I'm sure Hoall don't care. Nah, not Hootie. They got Hootie. I've heard Hootie did. He was hooing too much. What do you mean? What they called him with, man? Hookers?
Starting point is 01:35:12 DUI. Which is normally some hookers. There's usually something involved in there. My heart goes out to y'all DUI niggas out there. They got the shit in the car. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. You got to talk to them when you pull over, when you park. Dog, that shit hard, too.
Starting point is 01:35:29 Pause. You blow it? You blew for somebody? Yeah, that shit is... Pause. Wait, did you explode? Yo, let's go over here and blow this shit? Hey. Yo, blow it harder, dog.
Starting point is 01:35:39 What you doing? I'm playing with my man, bro. That shit ain't easy. I don't even understand. That shit is crazy. You got to blow it before you start the car. They got a breathalyzer in the car, and that's what will start the car. So you got to.
Starting point is 01:35:51 But it ain't. You ain't blowing hard enough. I think it's so silly. Tell us. It's a rhythm. You got to do it just more. You got to blow with the rhythm. Oh, never mind.
Starting point is 01:36:04 You're so immature. I'm trying to understand what you're saying. You got to blow with the rhythm? Oh, never mind. You're so immature. I'm trying to understand what you're saying. You won't say it. You got to blow and then you got to hold it? Yeah. So wait, you got to use one hand or two when you hold it? You got to blow and hold it. Or no hands.
Starting point is 01:36:21 Got to let your booty. Freak. Control yourself. Niggas are so immature, son. You never seen one before? I've never had to blow anything. No, I'm saying none of your friends never. That shit is.
Starting point is 01:36:34 It ain't. That shit is. Nigga, I don't drink. And that shit was hard for me to get the green light. Like, that shit is complicated. Yeah, my people's had that before. Like, his girl had to take the kids to school and shit. And had to blow on the shit every day because they shared a car. Yeah, my people's had that before. Like his girl had to like take the kids to school and shit. And had to blow on the shit every day because they shared a car.
Starting point is 01:36:48 Oh, shit. It don't matter who driving the car. It don't matter who driving the car. It don't matter who, yeah. Oh, that's wild. The actual car won't start. Yeesh. Interlock.
Starting point is 01:36:56 That's wild shit. Y'all can have that. I'll pass. State leader patrolman along. Yep. Uber. Word. That's all.
Starting point is 01:37:05 Jesus. Did y'all see the trailer for the Wendy Williams doc? I did. I didn't see it. That shit is You critical.
Starting point is 01:37:17 I'm shocked. It's very sad. Yeah. It's a very sad trailer. The trailer's sad? The trailer's very sad. Why? Because it's very sad. Why? Cuz it's like a real behind the scenes and in depth look into her with her family,
Starting point is 01:37:31 how they've been taking care of her, what she's been going through. Also it's like a now doc. It's now. Not a history of when you was a doc. No, it's now. It's called Where is Wendy Williams? Okay. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:37:44 It's coming out on Lifetime it's a two night so I guess part one part two type of situation and it just says the struggling doc reveals her struggles
Starting point is 01:37:52 with money woes health issues and alcohol so yeah you can tell it's focusing on the bad today
Starting point is 01:37:59 yeah the today that's what I was trying to say the bad of today that's fucked up though to me I don't like that why it's Wendy man We know she's going through problems
Starting point is 01:38:08 And I feel like some of these companies She had to have signed off on this I know but I feel like These companies exploit them I know she did But I just don't That's true Well they talk about
Starting point is 01:38:18 She's talking Karma I guess Well they're talking about They're talking about You know her money woes So it's possible That she did this as a result of needing
Starting point is 01:38:28 some money. We know you need money. Let us exploit you. Yeah, but why does she need money? Because the bank froze her account. And there's discussion as to her guardianship and how they've been using her money. So that gets mentioned
Starting point is 01:38:43 throughout this documentary. Her family explains that there's something rotten in Denmark with that. So do some of y'all look at it as the chickens came home to roost with her? Yes. You know what? Wait. So I find that really, really interesting. Because what's the difference between a Wendy Williams and a Howard Stern?
Starting point is 01:39:04 Wendy Williams and Star. Wendy Williams and Char a Wendy Williams and Howard Stern? Wendy Williams and Star. Wendy Williams and Char. Wendy Williams and Joe. Like, it's just like, I've noticed the commentary when it comes to a woman doing what she did. And it's always like chickens coming home to roost. It's always like, well, that's karmic retribution. But it's never, the lens is never turned around when it comes to men within the same you know realm i'm not familiar with the thing i mean i've heard about howard stern but
Starting point is 01:39:31 i'm not as familiar with like a lot of the things that he did um he was messy i'm messy i've heard about it but i know i was there i seen a bunch of the Wendy Williams stuff and like you ruin you'll potentially ruin people's marriages and you were wild I saw again if those other ones did it I'm not familiar with it but in this particular instance I remember a lot of these things so that's why I'm on the chickens coming
Starting point is 01:39:57 home the roost side of it when it comes to her I don't know whose relationships marriages lives that Howard Stern ruined. If it happened, I'm just not aware of it. I don't like using karmic retribution regarding somebody's health. I wasn't even talking about the health part. Karmic retribution doesn't even work like that, but I agree with it.
Starting point is 01:40:18 The two things just don't make sense. Well, that's where we've been with Wendy Williams for a few years now. I just mean a fall from, a fall from grace. Yeah, but the fall from grace is directly related to her health. Cool. So can we say how you get it back? What do you mean? If you throw out something to the universe, right?
Starting point is 01:40:43 We all believe in some sort of karma or no. So we can be all on the same page. I don't know if I do or not. In any and every religion, they speak of karmic law. If you're not religious and you're spiritual, you still believe in the energy that you throw out. Cause and effect. Shit like that. done things that brought hurt, that brought pain, that brought discomfort or injustice to somebody, then the world, a lot of people believe that that's going to come back to you in some way,
Starting point is 01:41:14 shape, or form. Now, it may not come back to you in the same exact way that you did it, but it may come back to you in another way. Some religions say 10 times, tenfold. So, it could be. I'm just saying it could be human beings always like apply instant gratification to the concept of karmic retribution so it's not like you know okay so you did you know bad like 10 years ago and now here's your karma karma doesn't factor into our like small scale but of the understanding time. So like, that's why I've always been like karmic retribution. She's always talked about having health issues. Even when it came to getting pregnant, she had a lot of health issues.
Starting point is 01:41:54 She's also talked about the abuse of drugs and alcohol throughout her life. You know, she's always talked about having thyroid conditions and people think like just having a thyroid condition is minor, but it is a very, very major condition to have an autoimmune um disorder so she's gotten older and so she these health issues start to compound so what why is it karma and not just the natural progression of what her life and her health history was going to dictate. I'm just speaking to how people feel. No, I know.
Starting point is 01:42:27 So, and it hasn't been instant gratification. Wendy Williams was torturing niggas 30 years ago. I remember in 97, 98, Wendy Williams was scorching niggas. Puff, Method Man, Funkmaster Flex, all of these types of things. And you didn't really give a fuck about how it will play out to their families.
Starting point is 01:42:44 And so now I think one of the things, and Joe's't really give a fuck about how it will play out to their families. And so now I think one of the things, and Joe's spoken about this, Joe loves Wendy Williams. So Joe's spoken about the fact that the TV station was doing her dirty. Joe didn't like how they were even canceling her show or the transition to phase her out of the show. Joe spoke very, very, very passionately about it. And I told Joe, even at that that time the people don't see it that way because she wasn't passionate when it came to other people's downfall or she wasn't passionate or handle nobody else
Starting point is 01:43:12 with kid gloves when it came to other people's problems and issues so you can't expect for somebody to have empathy when it comes to your shit sympathy when it comes to your shit yeah I don't like any of that but you know how I feel about when I know i know that's what i'm saying and i see you being quiet i'm just speaking to the other side it's not issues
Starting point is 01:43:29 i'm talking about the masses because we've read the comments and niggas are saying basically so what yeah what i think it really i don't think it's so much as karmic retribution it's just like nigga you ain't give a fuck about nobody so niggas don't give a fuck when it's happening to you like i'll give you i'll bring it to us to give you an example joe if the podcast blows up tomorrow and there's no more jbp and them niggas start playing another one bites the dust and making jokes and laughing at us that's how they'll treat it because when somebody else shit failed this is the way you treat it them that's true so that's what it is with wendy it's like yo you anytime some dirt about somebody was out there even if it was true or not,
Starting point is 01:44:05 you never handled nobody with grace. Never. So now you got your own dirt coming. But now, niggas, this is like, yeah, now it's your turn. But she was stuck between a rock and a hard place because they confiscated her money. So then now Lifetime comes off to do a story on her. And if she doesn't have money, of course, she's going to take it. And now they're filming the worst side of her.
Starting point is 01:44:25 You know what I'm saying? I'm saying even before. I'm just saying the downfall, period. People she's going to take it. And now they're filming the worst side of her. You know what I'm saying? I'm just saying the downfall, period. People are not going to care. Whether it's health, whether it's financial, whether it's whatever. If people report on it. But she was actually put in a... That's how I look at it. No, and that's what I said. She was actually put in a position where she couldn't
Starting point is 01:44:41 win. So now I have no choice. Let me take this because my whatever lifestyle and stuff. I know Miss Jones was going in there, spending time with Wendy when she was going through these things personally and explaining to me what was going on with Wendy and what was around her. That's not for me to say, but what I'm saying is that she was just put into a difficult position and that's where it becomes, you know, where the human side
Starting point is 01:45:05 come in for me. It's like, damn, that's fucked up and she has no choice but to take it. All I'm saying, Flip, is if this was another, back then,
Starting point is 01:45:13 if this was another exact same situation with another person, the way she would've reported on it and handled it is the way that people, a lot of people
Starting point is 01:45:20 are speaking about her today. The report on it is I'm fine with, but I'm just talking about Lifetime. If you understand what I'm saying. That's a report. is, I'm fine with, but I'm just talking about Lifetime. That's a report. Oh, you mean, you're saying it's wrong for Lifetime to come in here and do that?
Starting point is 01:45:30 No, it's a report. It's not wrong, but I just feel like she had, they left her with no choice, my opinion. We can move on from this, right? You're saying basically Lifetime caught you at a down point in your life. And they're exploiting it. And we're going to exploit and monopolize.
Starting point is 01:45:43 Cool. Somebody else could have been going through a hard time in their life. You didn't handle them with grace. You exploited them for your ratings as well. If me and my family going through some shit that you know about that the world don't know about, now you take it and you use it to push your platform. You doing essentially what Lifetime is doing to her. Got it.
Starting point is 01:46:04 Okay. Well, she got to deal with Lifetime. But like Flip is saying, it's out of necessity. She cut that deal probably out of necessity. Yeah, from the banks and the money and what the network did and what my husband did and now my health. Like even when that first started happening
Starting point is 01:46:19 with her husband, when that situation first broke, people was like, uh-huh. True. How many people's husbands have you talked about and brought issues that nobody else knew about? Now it's at your front door. I think that says more about society than it does about Wendy Williams. Exactly.
Starting point is 01:46:34 The more I keep listening to y'all talk, and I think I understand what you're saying, but that's just really nasty from society to be in that place to say, hey, you did this, so good. I want to see you with lupus or Alzheimer's. I don't even think it's the I want to see you with it. No, they do.
Starting point is 01:46:53 I'm happy your health is deteriorating. Or if you did this, the way you treated folk, don't expect people to now treat you any differently. That goes to ICE's analogy. If this show, God forbid, because I need a couple dollars. Yeah, facts. Take that back. I don't even put that in there.
Starting point is 01:47:09 Tomorrow, niggas will come out with their Another One Bites the Dust and be laughing. They would literally rejoice in the fact that this would implode. They would be happy. I agree with that, but I don't like the example. And the example I would say is, if this show ends tomorrow because my health is deteriorating,
Starting point is 01:47:26 then I'm still with y'all. People still going to play that song. Yes. But is it right? No. Is it right to say? Two wrongs don't make a right. No, no, I'm saying, is it right for the people playing Another One Bites the Dust for me
Starting point is 01:47:37 to do that because my health is, or because I played the song before? Come on. They don't care about the reason and why? They could care less about that. They could care less about that. They could care less about that. It's really just, yeah, your shit is now crumbling. Yours might be health related. And again, let's say God forbid.
Starting point is 01:47:51 Let's say God forbid. Yours might be health related. Somebody else's might be whatever. It still leaves their family in a financial bind, in a fucked up situation. And we laughing at that as opposed to maybe somebody else's being a health related issue. But what if his morals won't allow him to play another one of Bice the Dust when somebody has a health-related issue? They can say that their morals wouldn't allow them to call.
Starting point is 01:48:12 Wendy Williams told about somebody, their wife had cancer. Nobody knew that their wife had cancer. She talked about the person's wife. She disclosed the fact that somebody's wife had cancer, and their family members didn't even know so somebody could say yo you didn't care about that particular situation and what the effects would be on their family so now they don't care about whatever it is that you're going through we can't pick and choose you know what i'm saying with semantics it could be joe lost all his money that ain't funny to me
Starting point is 01:48:45 somebody might have a cancer that's not funny to me but you don't get to say oh I was laughing at you cause you was broke not laughing at you because you going through some health shit to me they both are devastating and they both are not funny to me you know what I mean like they should be handled accordingly that's my opinion
Starting point is 01:49:02 so but prayers to her. I'm definitely not. I'm just giving a subjective for conversation. I'm just having a conversation. She was cool. Even Kev was cool. The times that people,
Starting point is 01:49:16 they going through whatever they going through, but he's done some square business with a lot of people that I know. So I hope they work it out. I think Super Bowl party used to be fire. This given was just bringing me back to Joan Rivers.
Starting point is 01:49:28 Like nastiness. I'm saying in the 90s, and I'm not co-signing everything. Wendy. Fucking Wendy did. And we are going to move on. But she was the best. Indeed. Yes.
Starting point is 01:49:41 Bar none. The best. And she did whatever she thought she had to do back then to be number one to propel bls to where they are to open the doors and pave the way for everybody to come after especially women hot to see what she to do what she had to do to get the television deal at a time where women were not getting television deals. Especially black women. Especially black women.
Starting point is 01:50:08 She was a very early representative of the LGBTQA plus community. Which is why that style that everybody is punishing her for having. All of the reads. All of that toxic, nasty shit. Some of the shit you spoke on. Society is now there embracing some of those things. You're right.
Starting point is 01:50:30 I just hate when we adopt everything fly from this person and then we kick them to the wayside because they fucked up a few times or because we just have an ill view of them. Like Joe Paterno. Joe Paterno all over again. Joe Paterno lived his whole life
Starting point is 01:50:48 do all that shit. Great, great, great. And now when we find out the assistant coach is doing that nasty shit in the bathroom, now we gotta take the statue down, take the banners down. Wait, why? I think it's fucked up. I'm never a fan of that. I'm not a fan of that. I'm not. And that's not just because I'm Wendy Williams
Starting point is 01:51:04 Jersey bias. I think it's fucked up No it's your friend I ain't friends like that But Friends enough I see both sides I'm an empath Where you going
Starting point is 01:51:17 Sorry Where you going Huh Where you going I can't hear you Where you going I'm not going anywhere I thought you said
Starting point is 01:51:23 Empath somewhere No I'm an empath Empath Oh going anywhere. I thought you said empath somewhere. No, I'm an empath. Empath. I thought you said I am. Which is why I knew what you were trying to do when you were defending that girl. It's only my empath abilities. My empathic ways.
Starting point is 01:51:42 My empath, I mean, I care what you're saying. Yes. Thank you, Barks. I care what you're saying. Yes. Thank you, Barks. I care what you're saying. Fucking hilarious. That was the craziest take. Why did y'all think that was so funny? That's crazy. What?
Starting point is 01:51:52 That you're an empath? I'm an empath, but that means I just understand. I hear what you're saying. A person who has a particular tendency or ability to enter into or psychologically identify with the emotions, thoughts, and attitude or attitudes of others. So why does the whole room laugh when I say, nah, I feel what you're coming from. And Mel, you don't think he's an empath
Starting point is 01:52:09 after hearing that definition? He's a regular fucking Mr. Rogers. Yeah, absolutely. I thought you were saying Mr. Hyde. Oh, shit. I get into the 50-year-old jokes. I don't even know what either of them is talking about. I can't keep up with this old jargon.
Starting point is 01:52:26 Would you be my neighbor? What else? What else? What else? Well, my girl Danny Lay got probation, thankfully. I'm clapping it up. I'm happy. Right.
Starting point is 01:52:39 I didn't want her to go to jail. I know, because you ain't going to be able to get no... Wait, after your whole karmic retribution speech? I didn't say that. Holy shit. I believe that. Holy shit. Not me.
Starting point is 01:52:51 Picking and choosing. You got it, big dog. Like everybody do. That's what life is. That's different. You know it's different. I didn't say a word. Yeah, they gave a five-year-old.
Starting point is 01:53:00 Tell me why it's different. I think hers was a mistake. Who? Danny Lay? For five blocks? She drank. Come on. I know y'all like the girl.
Starting point is 01:53:14 I know she look good. Not she. She do? For clarification, she was under the influence too, right? She should have had the thing on her steering wheel. She was drunk. It's not funny because somebody got severely injured, but I think what she did, it was a mistake.
Starting point is 01:53:27 You get what I'm saying? I was under their influence. I hit somebody. I might not have known that they were under the car, and I dragged them. Wow, that is a lot of sympathy. No, I'm just saying it was a mistake. You have a drunk girl, Mel?
Starting point is 01:53:39 I don't think she consciously and deliberately is out here doing, Wendy Williams was doing certain things to people on a day-to-day basis. My nigga, that was affecting people's lives negatively. This lady got drunk and drove. That's not a mistake. True. She got drunk and drove. You're right. Keep going. Take your cape off.
Starting point is 01:53:58 I'm not. And on top of that, somebody was injured. Five years probation, which, you know, salute. I don't want to see anybody in prison. But at the same time, how does the family feel about that? This man's spine is injured. I agree with you.
Starting point is 01:54:11 I'm saying she affected their family negatively. I think by mistake. The mistake was what? Hitting them. She didn't mean to hit nobody with a moped and keep driving.
Starting point is 01:54:22 She didn't mean to hit the person. I didn't go out and target somebody like I was playing OG. I'm agreeing with you, but she didn't mean to hit the person. I didn't go out and target somebody like I was playing OG. I'm agreeing with you, but she didn't mean to hit you. That's why you get some level of punishment. Yeah, but when you are deliberately researching people's lives, you are deliberately finding out the tea on people
Starting point is 01:54:35 that's affecting their kids, their wife, their husband in a negative way for a matter of years, you can't compare the two. And again, shout the wind. I'm not shooting. I'm taking an objective step. I hate when niggas shoot so much bullets that they say, I'm not shooting. Nigga little of an AK.
Starting point is 01:54:51 I'm not shooting. We in our podcast bag, we supposed to have compelling conversations from two different sides. I didn't think we were going to get the Wendy Williams. I didn't see the comparison. I didn't see that. I was just saying, I'm glad she not going to prison.
Starting point is 01:55:05 That shit threw me off. I didn't know. That was it. I just want to see her come across this timeline. That's all he worried about. I don't even follow. I fuck with Danny Lay. I fuck with the music.
Starting point is 01:55:13 She in word. She said. Yeah, I just want the slaps. Yeah, me too. Bongo Bobby. I got you coming first. Yeah. Oh shit.
Starting point is 01:55:21 She is a race. I'm shaking my mind. I'm shaking my mind. I'm shaking my mind. I'm shaking my mind. I'm shaking my mind. I'm shaking my mindaps. Yeah, me too. Bongo. I got you coming first. Yeah. Oh, shit. She is a racist. I'm shaking my mind.
Starting point is 01:55:30 Hey, hey. It was a mistake. Bongo. Bongo, I... You're a fool, son. She's still got to go through a civil trial, though. Oh, you want her to go down? I'm not...
Starting point is 01:55:44 She's going to. She's going to. You heard her go down. No, I'm just saying that. Oh, you want her to go down? I'm not saying. No, no, no. She's going to. She's going to. No, I'm just saying that. You mean she's going to. She's going to have to pay. Yeah. She has to pay. We know she has to pay.
Starting point is 01:55:52 You got to pay. She can settle out. She ain't got to go through a civil trial. Settle is pay. That's not trial. Okay. Oh, yeah, she'll have to. Okay, so maybe it doesn't go to trial,
Starting point is 01:56:01 but it's still going to end up being a civil case. Some proceedings. Oh, yeah. She's going to spend up being a civil case. Some proceedings. Oh, yeah. She's going to spend some spanking. I'm not hating. I'm just glad the young lady's not in prison. It's fucking America. It's the most litigious country on the fucking planet.
Starting point is 01:56:13 It's going to go to a civil situation. Yes. That's all I'm saying. I agree. I agree. And she should. Be clear. She should get her little muffin crack to pay for my man's hospital,
Starting point is 01:56:25 his loss of wages, his everything. Loss of livelihood. For the rest of his life. You want to make a stupid ass decision to drive drunk? Cracker. Mm-hmm.
Starting point is 01:56:34 Barrel. I don't do that no more. That drive drunk shit? Never again. Never again. Shit ain't funny. I've had way too many close calls and thank God,
Starting point is 01:56:45 knock on something, that I didn't end up in a position like she did. Word. At one point, you just be like, yo, my man, what are you doing? And you just got to tell yourself, yo, you got lucky. Again, you ain't going to just keep getting lucky every time. So to anybody out there that's doing that,
Starting point is 01:57:02 man, get an Uber, bro. Trust me. I don't care if it's surge pricing. I'm dead serious, fam. I'm dead serious. I'll just decide you're right. I'm not joking about that shit. But you've been wearing no condoms for 30 years. I'm snipped.
Starting point is 01:57:17 What about snipping on preventive or STDs? Clean women prevent that. And gonorrhea will snip that shit right on up, man. Chlamydia will clap that shit right on up. Chlamydia will clap that shit right on up. You snip that chlamydia and build a bridge. Y'all gotta leave them dirty chicks alone, dog. That chlamydia will build a bridge.
Starting point is 01:57:33 Come on over here. We got another one. We built it back, nigga. You crazy? Yo, do niggas still get crabs? Yeah. I think that shit is over, man. I was going to say, because certain diseases, do they vanish away?
Starting point is 01:57:47 Like the chicken pox. maintaining our nether regions, I think that... See, that's why I got my shit. Because crabs. You don't want to get crabs. I bet it's crab free over there. He's crab free.
Starting point is 01:57:56 I'm going to ask you a question. I went back for my second treatment the other day. Can I ask you a question? Crab is... Okay. I had my second treatment the other day.
Starting point is 01:58:04 I did. Anytime you catch the neck, you make her put something on? What's that mean? Get ahead, nigga. No. So you in the same fucking boat. You get the clap from the head? Anytime you catch the neck.
Starting point is 01:58:17 Catch face off. He right. Catch face off? Yeah, you get SCDs from getting head? Yes, nigga. So I've heard. I got caught on fire like that when I was younger, nigga. What?
Starting point is 01:58:27 What? From the neck? She got you committed with her mouth? One of them shit. Shut up, yo. Shut up, yo. I got the documents. I read it up in there.
Starting point is 01:58:34 I said it to you. Don't put it out. You popped? No. So you caught the neck and caught something with it. Yeah. Having the clap in the throat is crazy. She had a raspy voice?
Starting point is 01:58:42 Oh, my God. I swear. I think her voice was raspy. So Krabs is gone. I don't know. I waited. I already got your back. Yo, but look, what's funny,
Starting point is 01:58:55 when a nigga come in and be like, yo, I got the Krabs, we wouldn't even know that the shit nigga got it. It's not an itch. He starts scratching his head. That nigga's sitting there doing it. Yo, man, what you doing, yo? Are there little bugs on it?
Starting point is 01:59:05 I think it's like lice. I have a part of Joe. Sorry, man. Joe, come on. This is from Setti Simmons. Alright, what's up, Setti? Setti, what up?
Starting point is 01:59:22 Setti Simmons. Alright, let's see what Setti Simmons says. What up, guys and Mel? Hey. Big time fan and supporter. I'll try to make this short and simple sense. Recently, my ex-wife and the mother of my three daughters and I have been on the road to mending and repairing a somewhat toxic relationship that we've had with each other since our divorce in 2013. That's what's up, bro.
Starting point is 01:59:47 We never fully did the work to heal from our traumas, and we allowed outside people to keep us at odds for so long. Over the last couple of years, this has been in a much better state. The problem is that we are not working towards a future together. But this newfound relationship had caused me to lose out on two potential girlfriends because they don't see
Starting point is 02:00:12 healthy boundaries between myself and the other one of my daughters. He just lost his shit. Hold up. Go back. He was mending his relationship with his baby mom. His ex-wife. Okay, so he's not necessarily tryingending his relationship with his baby mom. Ex-wife? Ex-wife.
Starting point is 02:00:26 Okay, so he's not necessarily trying to get back with her, it sounds like. They're just mending their relationship. They're cool. They're cool now. Okay, this follows. This tracks. My question is, how do I set or establish a healthy boundary, but at the same time continue to try and repair a damaged relationship. All
Starting point is 02:00:46 inputs are well appreciated. Much love and respect. He wants to have a healthy relationship with his baby mom's ex-wife, but he still wants to get some hoes. He's not getting back with her. Do she know that? But then he mentioned the oldest daughter,
Starting point is 02:01:02 so that was where I kind of, I got thrown. Did you follow him? I'm confused. I follow. I think we should reread it. Read it again, Joe, please. We're doing too much. I think we should reread it.
Starting point is 02:01:17 Recently, my ex-wife and the mother of my three daughters and I have been on the road to mending and repairing a somewhat toxic relationship we've had with each other since our divorce in 2013. Got it. That don't say he's trying to get back together. Right, right, right. That part. I think that's where we're getting lost. We never fully did the work to heal from our traumas, and we allowed outside people to keep us at odds for so long.
Starting point is 02:01:37 This is the sentence. Following. Over the last couple of years, maybe things is what he's trying to say. Over the last couple of years, this has what he's trying to say over the last couple of years this has been in a much better state things have been in the much the problem is that we're not working toward a future together but this newfound relationship has caused me to lose out on two potential girlfriends because they don't see healthy boundaries between myself and the other one and the
Starting point is 02:02:04 other one okay my daughters. This makes sense. Okay, the typos fucked me up. Gotcha. Now I understand what he's saying. The boundary between the other one of my daughters is what's losing me. I feel him now. Well, it sounds like him and his ex-wife had a toxic relationship.
Starting point is 02:02:16 That probably trickled over to the kids. And now they're fixing that. And he's losing chicks. He's losing chicks because of it. Because he's trying to mend the relationship with his ex and new girls aren't going to like that. And his daughter I have to ask a few questions. His daughter probably not feeling him.
Starting point is 02:02:32 One. No, the daughter's. He said, how friendly, how are you in the ex? That's what my question was. Because if you're saying that you trying to mend the relationship with your ex and your family has cost you two separate relationships, it depends on to what degree you and the ex are. You get what I'm saying? Like, he might be still, he might start hitting it again.
Starting point is 02:02:58 Or he might be leading her. That's why I said, do she know that when he said they not trying to get back together? Because it could be an issue like that and that's where the boundary get blurred at because she thinks one thing is happening
Starting point is 02:03:10 you maybe could be presenting it that way but still because he's at a certain age you can tell it's just weird it also could be the women that he's dating
Starting point is 02:03:19 have an insecure mind state and they're just getting jealous because you have a relationship that's healthy or trying to be healthy with your ex-wife and baby mother. Or he could be putting her ahead of them. Well, his priority
Starting point is 02:03:32 right now is to continue with the traction that he's gained with his ex-wife that is the mother of his kids and reestablishing a healthy rapport with him. And then that in turn trickles down to his daughters. It seems like there's an issue with him and his oldest daughter.
Starting point is 02:03:49 So, yeah, so that that relationship is the priority. And that's what he should focus on. Like having, you know, other girlfriends. I mean, it might just not be the right time to try to establish a whole other relationship with another woman when shit is still kind of like especially if you're trying to repair it with your daughter
Starting point is 02:04:06 with your children there's still too many gray areas in this major one you know he didn't really give enough details but I agree
Starting point is 02:04:13 I agree with what you're saying if the new girls they new girls they don't really hold any weight in your life they're new women so I think
Starting point is 02:04:21 your priority should be to devote whatever attention necessary to kind of. And setting boundaries just isn't easy. You know what I mean? You have to like kind of establish like what is a healthy boundary. And a lot of people don't even know what healthy boundaries are.
Starting point is 02:04:36 This is like kind of like what, you know, therapy teaches you is how to create boundaries. What's a healthy boundary and that sort of thing. So you might want to incorporate that. I think you should just lay off the new chicks for a while until you figure out, get your shit right over here because a new girl, you could tell her what you're doing
Starting point is 02:04:53 and she could assume that it'd be a red flag. Yeah. It's hard, real quick, I can relate to this, just real quick. Because of my behavior as a child my father lost girlfriends because they wanted him to pick like this son is bad send him with his mother he's disrespectful he's rude but he chose to give me the attention and let that go so i can see now in retrospect
Starting point is 02:05:20 how that can be a problem there's some some nice ladies. They were nice. But I was disrespectful. I was one of them troubled kids at the time. That's interesting. I give you attention now and you're still disrespectful and mean. You're not my father. And I'm not rude. No, we good. We not good. Who my father? I don't know.
Starting point is 02:05:40 I don't know, but I didn't say that. Nigga, I did when you said this nigga my father. I didn't say that. I did. Play with me right now, guys I didn't say that. Yo, nigga, I did when you said this nigga my father. I didn't say that. I did. Play with me right now. Go ahead. Once this come on, nigga. Let me ask you a question.
Starting point is 02:05:49 Let me ask you a question. If you play around with my family, I'm going to play. In fact, you're good. Sure, Joe. Sure, Jab. Me and Ish is not your viral fathers? No. Oh, shit.
Starting point is 02:06:01 No. No. Pod daddies. Y'all niggas look crazy. Stop. Y'all niggas look crazy on the internet. Hey, shit. No. Pod days. Y'all niggas look crazy. Stop. Y'all niggas look crazy on the internet. Hey, look. Now, he don't look really crazy, but you look crazy.
Starting point is 02:06:11 When does that matter to me? It doesn't. It don't matter to me neither. I don't care what the fuck about what these niggas is talking about. Looking crazy? I set myself on fire, nigga. I'm sitting here agreeing with you. You care about looking crazy on the internet.
Starting point is 02:06:23 You're damn right. Yeah, I heard you. This is not good for the pod. I heard what you said. I listened to that shit a bad time. I was like, oh, shit. He slipped that in there. That's what you want to happen.
Starting point is 02:06:33 You want it because you said that I didn't even want to have this conversation. You smart. You move your being the fingers out of my face, you stupid ass nigga. Good luck, homeboy. Yeah, good luck. Good luck, Setty. Setty. Yeah, good luck, Setty. Good luck, homeboy. Yeah, good luck. Good luck, Setty. Setty. Yeah, good luck, Setty.
Starting point is 02:06:46 Good luck. Twin. I don't want to hear twin in songs no more, though. Why? Anytime bitches learn a new word, they just use it till it can't be used anymore. They use it out of context. There ain't that many twins in the world. We don't.
Starting point is 02:07:03 Y'all don't be twins. There's not twins in the world. Y'all don't don't, y'all don't be twins. There's not twins in the world. Y'all don't be twins, yo. They don't be twins. Ladies use that twin shit as a form of manipulation. And I don't have the energy to get into it. Oh, shit. You thought about your shit before you came back inside.
Starting point is 02:07:17 Nah, that's a good one. That's a good one. Let's go, Joey. Nobody loves me quite like. I do like that song, man. God damn it. That shit is fire. God damn it, UMGs. I know who I do like that song, man. God damn it. That shit is fire. God damn it, UMGs.
Starting point is 02:07:28 I know who don't like that song. It gives me an old feel, though, Joe. Like, right? No? You know who don't like it? Who don't like it? Ari Lennox. Why?
Starting point is 02:07:35 I don't get it. She don't like that shit. She break the radio on that shit. Come on. Throw that shit against the wall. JD wrote that song. JD wrote a few of her records that she's trying to release. That's all.
Starting point is 02:07:46 When I have to explain it, it makes it seem like I'm being mean. Got you. So I want to not be mean. Got you. Jermaine Dupri. Yeah. He wrote that song for Money Long. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:07:57 And not for. Got it. Twin. Where have you been? Probably don't sound the same with a football helmet on anyway alright what else we got 21 Savage Aiden Ross
Starting point is 02:08:13 Aiden Ross is another one of those guys that are from the other side of the internet for me I don't pay attention to none of that shit I don't know who he is what he do I know he's a very popular streamer 21 with over there he did Kostinat too he's a very popular streamer. Yeah. 21 would over there. He did Kassanat, too.
Starting point is 02:08:26 Yeah, yeah. He's making a round. So he did Aiden Ross. They played black cards or whatever fucking card game they was playing. 21 lost a lot of money. Then Aiden Ross said the cards were marked. He was down 250. And then who was down 250?
Starting point is 02:08:41 21 was down 250,000. And then next thing you know, he's up about 400. And then that's when he say, yo, the cards are marked. And they went and looked through the cards, and the cards was marked. If this were anybody else, boy, I would have a good time with this. But I don't believe that 21 Savage tried to do that. I don't believe that. I don't believe anything about this story.
Starting point is 02:09:05 Oh, you think it's all fake? I think this is fake. I think the story with him and Ka-Sinai, with Ka breaking all of his equipment because he lost $300,000 to 21 Savage. I think what's happening is today, the acts are now sitting with the streamers. We already discussed that before.
Starting point is 02:09:21 That is the new... Wave. Yeah, that's the new interview wave, all of that. And we need to find something here to make you sitting with this streamer go. I'll take it a step further. I feel like the gambling thing is people really trying to push that because of the companies that's coming out in support of these streams. You know what I mean? That's reaching out. There's a lot of different companies. You know what I mean? That's reaching out.
Starting point is 02:09:45 There's a lot of different companies. So I think it's a rollout as well. So it could be a branding thing for 21. Yes. That I'm a gambler now. We're going to get me on the gambling platform. Because that's a big... I didn't know how big it was over there,
Starting point is 02:09:58 but it's big. It's big. It's huge. It's huge. I know gambling is big, but I didn't know how... I thought it was illegal. No, not no more
Starting point is 02:10:05 Shit LeBron just signed a deal with One of them companies I won't say their name Shit Biggest sports athlete damn near out there is partnered up with one of them now Got you It's money It's money money going on now
Starting point is 02:10:20 Salute They so mad that they waited so long to legalize it They getting it back in blood now. Salute. They so mad that they waited so long to legalize it. Really. True word. They getting it back in blood. Got it. Salute. But yeah I do think
Starting point is 02:10:31 back to that I just think all of this is we have to find something now. You shooting a skit. Yeah it's the same shit. That's what it is.
Starting point is 02:10:37 Just long form. That's not trying to be funny this time. It's you sitting it's a skit. No when I say it before I be trying to be funny.
Starting point is 02:10:42 But it's we gonna get together. We going to think up something. And we going to. And now that's going to be a part of your brand and that individual's brand that they could potentially push and market. Smart? It is.
Starting point is 02:10:55 Yeah, you want me to go first? With what? Oh, shit. Your sleeper? No, I'm playing. Oh, I was about to say. Why, man? I've been kicking your ass.
Starting point is 02:11:03 She has not. Now she kicking my ass. Yo, you are. I'm only going by what the people say. It's not my opinion. I'm one of the people. I hear about to say. Why, Mel? I've been kicking your ass. She has not. Now she kicking my ass. Yo, you are. I'm only going by what the people say. It's not my opinion. I'm one of the people. I hear the people walk. I hear the people talk.
Starting point is 02:11:13 She got her foot about at least that high. Yeah. Oh, shit. It might be past the knee. You know, Mel, she had the boots that she came in and came up to the block. True. She got her foot so far in his ass, you got a coach ass.
Starting point is 02:11:30 What you want with your ass? Put that little coach boot up your ass. Nobody love me. Yeah, you be wearing coach? These are not coach. I knew she was gonna get up here. Yeah, I was waiting for it. These are not.
Starting point is 02:11:43 She don't play with a coach. One thing about it, she don't play with a coach. What's wrong with Coach? Nothing's wrong with them. So why did you have to say? Because. The last shoe was Coach. Huh?
Starting point is 02:11:50 They were. What brand is this? Why you shitting on Coach? These are Valentino. You don't see the diamonds? No, the way Coach got them diamonds. No, they don't. No, they got those.
Starting point is 02:12:03 That's the shit you took the glue and stick it on. I'm going to customize you. The bedazzler. Joe Rogan. Yes. Joe Rogan. Spotify inks
Starting point is 02:12:14 a new multi-year partnership deal with the controversial podcast. Controversial. Shut up. He's controversial. He is a little bit.
Starting point is 02:12:21 He ain't that controversial for me. Just say it. 700 mil later. You inked it and you control the fucking ad rights for it. It ain't that controversial. Stop it. The Joe Rogan Experience, which is said to be worth up to $250 million.
Starting point is 02:12:35 Under the new pack, Rogan's popular show will now be available on other audio platforms. In addition to being available on Spotify, Rogan's show will soon be available on additional services, including Apple Podcasts, Amazon Music and YouTube. The new move comes under Spotify's revised strategy to relinquish exclusive streaming rights in favor of broader distribution, which the company kicked off in 2023. The Wall Street Journal first reported Spotify's renewal with Rogan. Stick up. So let me ask you. Spotify said they will continue to work closely with
Starting point is 02:13:07 Rogan and his team to continue to maximize the audience of the show across platforms. Under the new pack, Spotify will handle distribution and ad sales for the podcast. Rogan will receive a guaranteed minimum fee from Spotify as well as a cut of advertising revenue.
Starting point is 02:13:23 I have a question. What's the opposite of another one bites the dust? We need a... All I do is win, win, win, no matter what. We are the champions. What? Yeah. Yeah. What's your question?
Starting point is 02:13:36 Now that all this is happening, if they came back to you, would you take it? Came back to me and said what? 250 million? Yeah, I'll take it. What the fuck are you talking about? Not 250 million, but if they came to you and said what 250 million yeah I'll take it not 250 million but if they came to you and said Joe we want you back cuz you know you let's shit up you let's shit up if they come back to you would you even
Starting point is 02:13:53 entertain the conversation are you one of those people that if somebody do something wrong you won't revisit the business oh yeah make it sure personal for My number is still my number. You come back with that number, then we can talk about it. Anybody that has my number, they can come talk about it. But your number is new now from what you asked before. No, well the number before dealt with projections.
Starting point is 02:14:16 So if you're dealing with a five year deal, you have to project where you would be in five years. I see your number will reflect that growth. Nobody does me. But listen, man, I'm sitting here fighting with you I see your number will reflect that growth. Yeah. Nobody loves me. But listen, man, I'm sitting here fighting with you about viral moments with me. This is shit I need to be getting on.
Starting point is 02:14:33 This is viral. Yo, that ain't bacteria right there, baby. That is fire. That's fire. You niggas is bacteria out there. That ain't viral, nigga. Yo, I stole your shit. That ain't viral, nigga. Yo.
Starting point is 02:14:47 I stole your shit. This nigga steal my shit. Tell me what the difference is. Congratulations to Joe Rogan and Spotify. Much like TikTok, I don't think Spotify had much of a choice. I was going to ask you. It don't sound like it. Non-exclusive?
Starting point is 02:15:01 Stick up, stick up. And you getting a piece of the ads? Mm-hmm. It sound like, yo, nigga, it's take it or leave it. I was going to say, it sounded like a steamroll, not a deal. You see what I did. I done outworked, I done outproved everything. It's either this or I'm out the door.
Starting point is 02:15:16 Free agent time. What's up? They still win. Of course. $250 million is a win. Are you talking about Spotify? Spotify. Yeah, of course they win. I want to $250 million is a win. Are you talking about Spotify? Spotify. Yeah, of course they win. I want to know more details on this deal. Because they're going to sell more than $250 million
Starting point is 02:15:30 in ads for him. Much more. Yeah. We ain't losing nothing. But the ads is when you play the ads and people click it. Spotify's going to sell the ads. They're going to sell a billion. Did you see the shit with... Spotify's paying to be universal in this instance.
Starting point is 02:15:52 There you go. They're paying him so we can control the rights to the ads the show whatever and he'll participate but we want to control this so when we go the way we go cut these deals is different from how any one person got it and go cut it but even if it will be made back in a heartbeat of course course. Month one. Even the fact that he goes and the deals y'all cut, I've negotiated a piece of that too. True. That's cool though. Not just that.
Starting point is 02:16:14 No, Spotify's a publicly traded company. So upon announcement of this deal, they damn near can make that money back in a week. That's true. Not even a week. You get what I'm saying? That's what happened last time they
Starting point is 02:16:26 announced it. I remember. I was at your house. You was tight. But... You know what? You wasn't tight over that. You was tight over something else. Thank you. No, because... I'll tell you. But... Remind you what you was tight about. No, it was just like, yo,
Starting point is 02:16:42 this is what is going on and niggas is not even focused on this. They focused on some stupid shit. Yeah. So he was tight. That's always the problem with niggas. Focused on the wrong shit. The nigga, I'm sorry.
Starting point is 02:16:54 I'm sorry. You're right, Flip. Did you see the shit with Cesar from Black Ink? What he said? He said that off of Black Ink, the, who was it, VH1? VH1. Made over a billion dollars in advertising. Made $1.2 billion in ads.
Starting point is 02:17:08 Sheesh. Over a 10-year span. Over a 10-year span. So imagine this is Rogan. These ain't no black people doing tattoos. This is Joe Rogan. Every day, you know what I'm saying? You're talking about aliens.
Starting point is 02:17:20 Dinosaurs and motherfucking pilots and all types of shit. Yeah, but that's where the race stuff comes into play. And I ain't about to sour this out, but in Caesar's example, he was saying, dog, we couldn't get a piece of none of that. Nothing. Like, I brought you the show, you make a billion in advertising over 10 years
Starting point is 02:17:38 and we can't get nothing. No residuals even today, because they still air on the show today. I'm not going to get in Mona Scott Young's business, but I'm sure that that beef is over there too. There's plenty of black people that could bring you some shit and
Starting point is 02:17:53 in combination with what you're doing, y'all going to get all the ads in the world off this fly shit that we making. It's just Spotify is down to cut him in. Well, actually... They not down, nigga... They're not down. They don't have a choice. Do you think we'd be so eager to get our shit and sign,
Starting point is 02:18:09 Joe? That's what we'd be so eager. We'd be eager to just sign and then later on... That's like the basis of reality TV for the most part. For the most part, you're getting relative unknowns who want the look. You know what I'm saying? So they're super predatory.
Starting point is 02:18:25 We talk about the record labels all the look. You know what I'm saying? So they're super predatory. They know. We talk about the record labels all the time. Yeah, I know. Bad deals that you might know is a bad deal. But we in a fucked up position at this particular moment. Yes, yes.
Starting point is 02:18:35 I need to take it. And sometimes we revisit it, but then with the money comes a different lifestyle. But if you believe in your talent, like take Joe, for example. I don't know what your deal was. That deal that they gave you then,
Starting point is 02:18:49 I know you won't take today. Hell no. But if you believe in your talent, this ain't nothing but a stepping stone for where we could go. So let me show the world that I can take this bum-ass deal, I'm going to make it happen,
Starting point is 02:19:00 and now I'm going to increase my worth and I'm going to increase my value to crack them over the head. The bad part is, every artist don't show up. No, no, no. Every artist don't deliver. So now on a re-up, you can't really re-up because you ain't delivered. When Joe was talking just now, I was saying his learned behavior, right?
Starting point is 02:19:18 So Joe, I'm pretty sure when he first signed, like when I know his story from what I know, when he first signed, I'm pretty sure when he first signed, like when I know his story from what I know, when he first signed, today he went and signed a deal that he signed when he was starting to rap, right? No, not rap. I'm talking about. I'm talking about even the rap. I'm going that far. Right. So what I'm saying is that he had made it his duty to learn these things and learn the contracts and understand that a lot of people don't make it their duty.
Starting point is 02:19:44 So I'd be impressed. You know what I mean? Even talking to Webb and them when they tell me about the deals and stuff because they break it down. I'm a street nigger. Yeah, well, I had to. And then when I see Joe and he's passionate about learning, I need to learn the business. I need to know what these words are.
Starting point is 02:19:58 I need to sit down. I respect that. It makes me even look at things a little bit different. Because these people are made to stiff you. Some people don't really get to the level where they can really even sit down and discuss their business. You think so? Yes. You think that they don't get to the level or they just don't want to take the time? I think the lifestyle comes so fast, they don't want to take the time to review anything.
Starting point is 02:20:17 Could be a combination. And bet on yourself. Because he'll bet on himself. I'll bet on myself and then I'm leaving. I'm out. A lot of people won't turn down that upfront money. But no. Hold on.
Starting point is 02:20:26 Don't even necessarily think about what it means, what you're giving up, what you're selling to get that upfront money. You don't really think about that. And be clear, a lot of people don't. Maybe you should take the upfront money. Yeah. Some people don't have the work ethic and shit to fucking fight through. But if you show and prove, and you kicking fucking fight through. But if you show them proof, you kicking ass out here.
Starting point is 02:20:47 Even if you take the upfront money, it's a lot of upfront money. Because you got to a place where they don't have it. Joe Rogan just took upfront money. He could potentially go off on his own and make more. No? I think Joe Rogan shouldn't even be any star. No, no, no. I'm just giving an example. he he took the money you know i'm saying everybody can't necessarily go the independent route they could but i'm just saying once you get to a certain level where
Starting point is 02:21:15 you could breathe now i can start to focus on learning the business side of some of this shit because i got enough money to where my family's okay and I'm okay and now I can start to put new information into my brain to be a better business person. A lot of times it's almost like a cycle or like you're on a path this way. So you get the money, I got to the point where I could breathe, but that money's coming
Starting point is 02:21:38 kind of easy so you think, hey, I'm cool like this right here. We lose the passion. You lose it. You don't even realize. What happens, you get 10, 15 years down the line and you realize how much money you didn't really make how much money you made them and that's what starts to happen with the rappers and stuff they'll say oh hold up wait a minute i i did what and it made how much so now you want to go back and start looking at contracts and trying to figure shit out it's's just information gathering. You start gathering information over time and now it's like, okay, I made some
Starting point is 02:22:07 mistakes here. Let me try to correct course. Got you. But again, shout out to Joe Rogan. That shit is amazing. Salute. That sounds like a hateful thank you. Let me get the applause. Let me get the applause. All right, but shout out to them niggas.
Starting point is 02:22:22 Nah, nah. Let me get the applause. Nigga, but shout out to them niggas. Nah, nah. Hell no. They had to applaud. Nigga, three years ago, we was saluting Carl Her Daddy. You know what I'm saying? I'm not saluting none of them. No, I'm just saying, three years ago, we was saluting them for what they did. Now this nigga just took it up a whole nother level. Do you think when people get the-
Starting point is 02:22:41 No, he's out of that. He is. I have one last question. Sorry to cut you off. Do you think when people get the... No, he's out of that. He is. But I have one last question. Sorry to cut you off. Do you think when people get the money right, do you think that they lose the same dedication they had to get to the level they got? You mean the drive?
Starting point is 02:22:58 The same drive and dedication. The hunger. It's hard to act hungry if I'm full, my nigga. No, but it's always another... Some people, because I watched something with Mr. T while he was all blinged out, and he did an interview, and he had these old shoes. It's hard to act hungry If I'm full my nigga Some people Cause I watched something With Mr. T While you know He was all blinged out And he did an interview
Starting point is 02:23:07 And he had these old shoes And Mr. T was saying The old shoes Was passed down From his father To his brother To him To remind him
Starting point is 02:23:14 How to be humble So no matter how much money I get it reminds me That I have a family To take care of It reminds me That I still have to keep going I feel like a lot of people
Starting point is 02:23:21 In our culture Got no shoes But when they get the money, that's what they do and they forget. They just forget what got them there. They become comfortable. Complacent. I think your social circle dictates that. Me.
Starting point is 02:23:35 I think that when you get money. So if none of your friends got money and you got $2 million, you the big fish. But if you got $2 million and that same hunger and that drive is in you, start hanging the niggas that got 20 million that drive gonna kick back in right then when you get to 20 million start hanging around the mother niggas that's like yeah yeah me and my wife just bought a 70 million dollar villa over here you like what 50 cent said he kind of said yo when i had a benz i thought i was the shit till i
Starting point is 02:24:03 would start fucking with niggas that have ferrar the shit till I started fucking with niggas that had Ferraris. And then you start fucking with niggas that's buying buildings. Then you start fucking with niggas that's buying boats or planes. Your drive just start kicking in because your social circle tends to increase the more money you get.
Starting point is 02:24:18 They don't do it for everybody, but I think that's where the hunger stays. True. Well said. That's a good one. Thank you. Pull your glasses up, man. I don't know if you're being sarcastic.
Starting point is 02:24:32 I don't know if you're being sarcastic or not. I'm not being sarcastic. I'm serious. I agree with what y'all saying. That's right. And once you get past the, and I'm not talking about the people that just take the money. And y'all should send your sleepers if you have them. I'm not talking about the people that just take the money. And y'all should send your sleepers if you have them. I'm not talking about the people that just take the money.
Starting point is 02:24:50 Once you get past the disappointment with companies not coming and giving you the number that you're looking for, like, you'll get pretty excited about the work that's ahead of you. Like, I don't want to make it sound like if somebody came with a certain number, I wouldn't take it. But the fact that they didn't and the fact that I know I'm prepared to do the work, like, you get excited about it. Like, you get excited about
Starting point is 02:25:17 hitting whatever benchmarks you set for yourself. You get excited about incremental growth, fucking big growth. It's all exciting. It's exciting. Scary? Huh about incremental growth, fucking big growth. It's all exciting. It's exciting. Scary? Huh? Scary too or no? Yeah, but that's part of the excitement. The anxiety part. That's a part of it. It fucking

Starting point is 02:36:18 He was river dancing in that ass, Paul. It was so bad. He was in his ass so bad, pause again, that people was like, oh, nah, he couldn't have wrote that. Nah, somebody had to write that for him. You know you're kicking somebody's ass when they start saying you couldn't write it. You ain't do it?
Starting point is 02:36:35 Yeah, it was Hayden. Yeah, it was Hayden. Melissa. Okay, new old music. Xavier Omar, one of my favorite artists ever. Song's called Afraid. All right. What is it?
Starting point is 02:36:49 Yeah, you smoked him on that second one. Rap Elvis. Rap Elvis? Yeah. That's the one. Losing love, I'm required Was it truly love? Undecided hard times, I'm broken
Starting point is 02:37:12 Past lies, they leave you open I try, I'm hopeless at night No way of coping with this shredded heart Can I get reparations for the pain? Baby, I'm afraid Really, I'm afraid Of giving you a damn messed up My stress up, tipping bitches and I dressed up
Starting point is 02:37:38 Looking blessed up, you need something And I got you, I spot you Till I see your love, it's not true, it's not true And I'm scared of what that feels like Looking stupid, I didn't realize Baby, I'm afraid Really, I'm afraid Of loving you I'm afraid of loving you
Starting point is 02:38:05 With all my heart I'm tired of hurting again I'm so afraid to love you With all my heart I'm tired of hurting again With all my heart I'm tired afraid to love, I'm so afraid to hurt again I'm so afraid to love, I'm so afraid to hurt again God has not given us the spirit of fear But the spirit of love, looking like it's not here I don't doubt your heart, I just know things change
Starting point is 02:38:46 It just leads to pain, I still bleed the same I still say I'm fine, but I leave my brain Don't wanna think no more, I can't defeat my shame Don't wanna play no more, I can't defeat this game But that bone still rings, can't defeat this game But that phone still rings Can't delete your name Cause you give to me Everything I pray for Every single day for
Starting point is 02:39:13 Listen to me honestly Listen to me honestly You don't have to wait for me to feel I'm safe Or that I'm ready this time I want no one else not to focus on myself It's just baby I'm afraid Really I'm afraid of loving you I'm so afraid to love
Starting point is 02:39:40 I'm so afraid to love Baby I'm afraid I'm so afraid to love Really I'm so afraid to love you. I'm afraid to love you. That is Xavier Omar, Afraid. And that is Afraid, the most played record ever during the sleeper segment. I said old music. That song has been played here 900 million times.
Starting point is 02:40:10 I wanted to fucking hear it today. It's also a classic. But who are you afraid to love? Let's get down to the nitty gritty at this. Why are you still subbing? Come on. I'm not subbing. Maybe somebody afraid to love her. Or your last twang.
Starting point is 02:40:25 Yeah, but that one, I know why. I know why niggas is afraid to love her. Out here, so we know there's some shit. Does anybody here know why? Does anybody here know? Because I might be wrong. So let me open it up to the floor. Does anybody here know why niggas might be afraid to love Mel?
Starting point is 02:40:41 No, please enlighten me. I don't know what floor you opening it up to. Tell me. Why? It's hard dating these actresses. That's true. That is true. It's tough dating these actresses. Who can tell if it's acting or real love? Come on. It's true.
Starting point is 02:40:59 Really, Parks? You never know. It's too brute. You never know. Your last 20 sleepers have had the same, like, concept. Sometimes, you know, you speak to the music. She's talking to somebody through her sleepers. That's what's respected.
Starting point is 02:41:14 Did you hear the sleep I played today? She don't even ask. That's how you made me feel. Yeah, but at some point, if you keep sending a nigga songs or a woman songs and they don't, like, text back, like, oh, respect. sending a nigga songs or a woman songs and they don't like text back, like, oh, respect. Like, how many of these can you send
Starting point is 02:41:28 without the nigga being like, nah, I feel that. Persistent. Yeah. First you don't succeed, dust yourself off and try again. Leah said it the best. Persistent.
Starting point is 02:41:36 Yeah, Leah fan. That's what she said. Persistent indeed. Damn, Carl Weathers died. Rest in peace. I just saw that. Damn, man. Rest in peace.
Starting point is 02:41:46 Rest in peace. I just saw that. Damn, man. Rest in peace. Rest in peace, Apollo. Like somebody else died, too, actually. Rest in peace to Ian's father. Rest in peace to Ian's father. Love to the family. You already know. We love you, Ian. I don't wish that pain on nobody.
Starting point is 02:41:59 Oh, my God. Oh, no. I had two friends lose parents in the last few weeks, man. That shit is terrifying. They say you don't become a man until you lose your dad. I'm a boy still. Yeah, that wouldn't help. You'd boy me out.
Starting point is 02:42:16 Yeah. Look at this. Now, man me. I'm a man. I'm going to look in the mirror. A lot of niggas was men at birth. I was fucking talking about niggas. I look in the mirror. A lot of niggas was men at birth. I was. Fuck you talking about. I look in the mirror.
Starting point is 02:42:27 I'm glad you said it. I look in the mirror and see a man all day. That's ish. Bro, I ain't even got nothing to say to this. You know what? Yes. That's sad. Uh-oh.
Starting point is 02:42:39 Let me see. Yeah. Let me see what you said. No, no. I'm just going to. You're not ill? I'm ending with Mel's song What?
Starting point is 02:42:48 I'm ending Letting Mel's song rock some What's wrong? No You mad at me? I'll turn it off He has you sleeping in Serrano Everybody has your sleeper in his Serrano. Everybody has this sleeper. I didn't have to download it.
Starting point is 02:43:11 It's a very popular cult classic. Said new old music. I was on trend with everybody else. Got me sick. Got me sick. You gotta go home? Got me sick, bro. You gotta go home?
Starting point is 02:43:23 Go home. I didn't even think you was coming in today. Because the mump change. It was the first? You gotta be sick, bro. You gotta go home? Go home. I ain't even think you was going in today because the mump change was the first, man. The second, whatever. Well, once your little PTO get clocked back.
Starting point is 02:43:33 Rolled over. I did not expect to see you. I definitely used to do that. He told me there was no rollovers. Definitely no rollovers. No, that's not.
Starting point is 02:43:38 Well, I'm having a meeting. We having a meeting. Not about rollover. I have to. Oh, have it. I have to, yeah. I have to. Oh, have it. I have to, yeah. I have to. I have some strict demands, man.

Starting point is 02:44:01 All that temper tantrum shit is out. You call me who, TikTok? Gonna have to cut that deal. I'm sorry, buddy. Yo, man, keep us in your prayers. Lord knows we need to be there. Until the next time, we bid you adieu. Farewell.
Starting point is 02:44:15 Adios. Arrivederci. Hasta la vista. Au revoir. So long. Goodbye. See? You just going to let the germs out through your nose.
