Starting point is 00:00:44 Oh, all right. I'm on peace, love, and vibes. We Oh, all right. I'm on peace, love, and vibes. We are, we good. I'm on peace, love. I don't know what happened though. I asked him that, he was like, yo, whatever you say, you gonna make it hard for your man? You must have did something last pod

Starting point is 00:01:04 Let's have peace, positivity. Aw. Aw look good. Thank you. You look good. Everybody look nice. Let's get to it. I'm in peace. Positivity. Aw. Aw. Yeah. Thought you was going to fry somebody up. Nah, I don't got that in me today.
Starting point is 00:01:12 I don't like it. I don't got the oil. Wait. Huh? I don't know. You'll get it later. Look at the ring. Oh, the fry.
Starting point is 00:01:22 Okay. Ah. I thought you was going somewhere else with that. Chef, man. I was thinking mechanical. Also, because I'm big and my pants be falling down, you think I'm a mechanic. Plumber. What up? What up?
Starting point is 00:01:41 What up? What up? What up? What's good? What's good? We here? We here? Are you here?
Starting point is 00:01:45 I'm here. Let me get a tonality check, man. Let me see the energy check. Mike, Mike, Mike, Mike, Mike. A little stuffy still, but that's all right. A little bit, a little bit. A little bit, but I'm here. I can talk.
Starting point is 00:01:55 I have energy. We good. All right. Yeah. We good. Make sure. Yeah. We'll send you home.
Starting point is 00:02:01 Could he would. No, this is a big one. No, this is a big one. No, this is a big one. I have a lot to say, I think. You going to tell the truth? I have notes. I got notes. I took notes, too.
Starting point is 00:02:13 I have notes. I got notes. I got notes. I got notes. And my notes are real. That mean you going... No, I'm going to tell the truth. All right, there we go.
Starting point is 00:02:22 I'm going to tell the truth. There we go. I'm going to tell the truth today. I'm going to tell the truth today. That's what's up. I'm going to tell the truth today. I'm going to tell the truth. All right, there we go. I'm going to tell the truth today. There we go. I'm going to tell the truth today. I'm going to tell the truth today. That's what's up. I'm going to tell the truth today. I'm going to half on it. On one side, I'm very grateful that what I made could just be acknowledged in a world
Starting point is 00:02:31 like this. But also, it sucks that whenever we, and I mean guys that look like me, do anything that genre bending, they always put it in the rapper urban category. And I don't like that urban word. It's just a politically correct way to say the N word to me. So when I hear that I'm just like why can't we just be in pop so I felt like my half of me feels like the rap nomination was a backhanded compliment like oh uh my little cousin wants to play the game let's give him the unplugged controller so he could shut up and feel good about it that's what it felt like a bit but another half of me is very grateful that you know the art that i made could be acknowledged on a level like this when i don't do the radio
Starting point is 00:03:09 stuff i'm not played in target i'm in a whole different world than what a lot of people here listen to so i'm grateful and like boycotted the 1989 grammy show we feel that it's a slap in the face we don't have a problem with the grammy as an award or the Grammy as an institution. We just had a problem with the 1989 design of the award show. We feel that our music was important enough and is important enough. It was just lack of knowledge. music and our boycott was to open their eyes to rap music so next year some rap group will be able to perform on the Grammys and the award will be televised because the music is large enough and important enough to be on that show. This is a milestone in our career and it's a milestone in the history of rap. Should've built some eyes on the socks So independent, that might back out It's that time of year again Creatives, what up?
Starting point is 00:04:14 Resistance, what up? 76 floors, you can call me the doctor Entrepreneurs, what up? So I got the 76th floor to join So I'm like 76 floors, you can call me. Wherever you might be listening from right now. Say when, say when. I'm inspired by Bosque, I'm a chariot, I'm fire.
Starting point is 00:04:36 Everybody took shots at my body, I'm tired. Build me up, break me down, build me up again. Ain't like Hogan, he's your best. Kill your ass again. Hogan got blowed, though he's no big in pop, but he's close I'm closer when they got me fightin' cold Shout out to the version last time, listeners Sing, so they night you, they gone goodnight, you wet
Starting point is 00:04:55 That's only half if they like you That ain't even a half what they might do Don't believe me, ask Michael See Martin, see Malcolm You see Biggie, see Pac, see success in its outcome See Jesus, see Judas See Caesar, see Brutus See success is like suicide Suicide is a suicide If you succeed, prepare to be crucified
Starting point is 00:05:17 Media medals, if they sue you, you settle Every step you take, they remind you to get old So it's tough being Bobby Brown To be Bobby then, you gotta be Bobby now And the question Sweet, and let her have some sweet God ain't good You can't tell me You can't tell me
Starting point is 00:05:40 You cannot tell me You cannot tell me That you get too old You can't tell me, you cannot tell me, you cannot tell me that you get too old, you can't tell me it's too late, you can't tell me it's too late, it is a sweet, it is a sweet the button and regenerate it, stupid crazy I'm super smart with paper niggas hating, imitating That's just human nature, I don't blame him I just keep away him, my bro got a ray gunner Motherfucker play bad, he won't make summer I put your bitch on me
Starting point is 00:06:19 It's like this though, I'm tired of folks, you know what I'm sayin'? Closed minded folks, you know what I'm sayin'? It fans like we got a demo taping on the body one here But it's like this is South got something to say. That's all I got Generated stupid crazy. Ish Ice Pole Parks, me, Corey Erickson, gang is all here. Salute, salute. What up, what up? What episode is this? 697. Welcome to episode 697 of the Joe Budden Podcast. I'm your humble, gracious, grateful, and highly favorite host, Joe Buddenden here with a few great people. Gang is all here. How y'all doing? How y'all feeling? What up?
Starting point is 00:08:47 Feeling good. Ready to get to it. I feel better. I feel good. I feel good. Happy to be here. Niggas is smelling good. You can smell, so that's a start. Yeah. Big male, huh? Hey.
Starting point is 00:09:03 That's right. Fuck that fit shot. Yeah. Yeah. Don't ever play with her. Don't ever play with her. All right. What up? Y'all want to get right to it?
Starting point is 00:09:12 Yeah. Let's get right to it. Let's get right to it, man. Yeah. It's the Grammys. The Grammys. The Grammys. The Grammys happened.
Starting point is 00:09:19 They did. Everybody watched, right? Yes. Everybody watched? Yes. Okay. Okay. Okay.
Starting point is 00:09:22 Good stuff. Good stuff. Definitely had to watch this one okay so what's our takeaways man we'll be starting with i will start off with the blankest statement i think this is one of the best grammys i've seen in a while agreed in terms of the performances the show in general i think production level yeah it was blackness yeah that's one yeah trevor noah did a really good job as a host He did Really really good Most times He's dope
Starting point is 00:09:47 Most times he hosts something He does a great job He did a great job He'll show up to one of them houses He'll help you You were saying I mean It's kind of like
Starting point is 00:10:06 Where do we want to start So much happened Do we want to start with Killer Mike Getting arrested No Okay Why do we start there
Starting point is 00:10:18 You the problem No no We're not going to start With that We're going to start With Killer Mike It's with him sweeping Yeah what are you talking about?
Starting point is 00:10:26 I know that. No, listen, I thought it was like, I thought it was really fucked up because apparently it was like he bumped into a security guard. And you're still, we're not starting there. We're not starting with that. Okay, okay, sorry. And let me say, they fried up Hollywood Unlocked for doing that same shit.
Starting point is 00:10:42 They didn't post Killer Mike wins. They posted something else. Yeah, like, well, no. Shouts to Killer. They didn't post Killer Mike wins, but they posted something else. Yeah, like, no. Shouts to Killer Mike, y'all. Shouts to Killer Mike. Shout out to Killer Mike. You did what the fuck you said you was going to do, God damn it.
Starting point is 00:10:54 Sweet. You came right in and told us. Come on, man. Hold up, man. Let's do a real one. Let's do a real one. Let's go, Killer Mike. Hold up, man.
Starting point is 00:11:02 Let's do a big one. You came in and told us you said it yourself. Let's do a killer mic. Hold up, man. Let's do a bit, man. You came in, told us, you said it yourself. Uh-huh. He did. He did. He said, I want the Grammy. This is my best project ever, and I spent my own money. Yes.
Starting point is 00:11:20 I had a bunch of long talks with my wife. Of course. He came right here and told us. He definitely did. And went out and did what the fuck he was supposed to do. Oh, I couldn't be happier. Me either. Shout out to Ken and Mike.
Starting point is 00:11:33 Happy, proud. All of that. Yeah. It's a beautiful thing to see. On a million levels. You usually get these nominations and usually the commercial album win and everybody's upset you know what i'm saying it's like ah we know why that one won but this was clearly the better album i will say in this case okay i'm sorry i'm sorry in this case you can't
Starting point is 00:11:55 be mad at this you can't and it's weird like you see people mad and they're like how could that win it's not as good or how can it win It's not as commercial. They pick whatever argument they want to win and why something wins at the Grammys. It's weird. I don't understand. You can't please them. You can't please everybody. Yeah, but when you look back at the last 10 years, the winner of that award for the last 10 years,
Starting point is 00:12:18 it is usually art. It's normally the artsy art project. And rap? No. No. It's normally the artsy art project. And rap? Rap. Rap, yes. Yes, usually rap. That's true. It is. Since when? Like Macklemore would be the last one. That was the last
Starting point is 00:12:34 one they blew it. Cardi winning over I think she was nominated up against Nip, Royce and a couple of like that was a more commercial project that won. Cardi had the best album. I'm just saying.
Starting point is 00:12:48 I stayed by that, too. I said that then. Yeah, I said that then. I say it now. It ain't always the artsy one. Both Kendrick albums won to Pimple Butterfly and another one. Damn, I think, right? I forget.
Starting point is 00:13:01 I forget. Two Kendrick joints won. Yeah, it's normally the artsy ones, but it's fine. We can look that up later. But yeah, score one for the adults. That too. Score one for the adults and all you people out there that keep telling me that kids run everything and you have to market to the kids and these niggas doing these fucking mosh pits on the highway
Starting point is 00:13:21 and all this other stupid shit. That's the story all year for sure is the thing about the great talk and the kids and the children and the pop song and the radio song that's what we talk about all year long you niggas sit here and tell me no they have to do that they have to do that maybe it just gets a bigger impact when you do it but you don't have to no no yeah no i'm not not mad at that yeah but there are trained music geniuses somewhere listening to this and that's how the grammys is determined right yes people are saying how could this win it didn't sell nearly as much as this and this. But how Grammys is determined, even though there probably is some politics
Starting point is 00:14:07 and some corruption somewhere along the lines, I don't doubt that. Definitely, definitely. Absolutely, absolutely. The way that you win is people that have won Grammys before or have been nominated for Grammys before vote. So it is the best of the best, hypothetically, voting on who they think is the best.
Starting point is 00:14:20 It's the best of the best. Voting on the best. I think that that's where a lot of... And I think that's how it should be. Yeah, and I think that that's where a lot of like you know the confusion comes from is that nobody understands who the voting body is and what it's like you know made up of good but wasn't you don't need the fans are never supposed to understand at all certainly we don't know the game was never for the fans whatever y'all know now is a mistake
Starting point is 00:14:43 yeah y'all learning too much yeah we we trying to shift shit around because y'all know now is a mistake. Y'all learning too much. Yeah, we trying to shift shit around because y'all snooping around and shit. Now y'all interested in things like the bundle packages and just things that never existed before for y'all. Word. And that's what I saw when I looked out
Starting point is 00:14:59 in that Grammy audience. It's... Man, this game, the design, it's tough. You're not going to win. It's geniuses out there. Yeah. These are musical, music genius people, business genius people, psychologists. These are well-trained executives who spent 40, 50, 60, and 70 years doing this.
Starting point is 00:15:24 And they're in cahoots with each other. Yes. And we cool. Yeah. And we cool. We can point each other in the right direction of. No, I'm his kid's godparent. All right.
Starting point is 00:15:33 So now that y'all say that, what do y'all think about the mix up or mistake that happened with the rap song of the year? They learned it. They learned it. They learned it. They went and tweeted it from their page. I am. I am. The Grammy page tweeted
Starting point is 00:15:53 and the actual website tweeted that I Spice Nicki Minaj won for Barbie World. It was one of the non-televised awards and then came out a little bit later and said, oh, that was a mistake. Killer Mike won.
Starting point is 00:16:10 So what you're saying, the politics of we friends here and all of this, that ain't no mistake. That was clear. Hey, we're going to show you something. We're going to do this. Or it might have been.
Starting point is 00:16:23 Even if it was a mistake, it ain't a mistake. It's not a mistake. It could have been, we were going to give you this it might have been even if it was a mistake it ain't a mistake it's not a mistake it could have been we were going to give you this award and we changed our mind and we just forgot
Starting point is 00:16:31 to notify whoever when the tweets went out due to whatever actions over the last course of the week it could have been that
Starting point is 00:16:40 it could have been some calls made in the background this is all politics and connections you rubbing the wrong people the wrong way no no take that back it's possible that. It could have been some calls made in the background. This is all politics and connections. You're rubbing the wrong people the wrong way. No, no. Take that back. It's possible.
Starting point is 00:16:50 It's possible. I believe that and it wasn't shocking. Nicki keeps saying she's fighting machines and companies. I believe it. And that's part of it. But I'm glad it went to Mike. That was it. I've been saying all year he had the best rap album. Yeah, you have. I think we all have.
Starting point is 00:17:04 Get up here. Fire. I've been saying all year he had the best rap album Yeah you have I think we all have Fire I think it'll Hopefully it'll spearhead Niggas to rapping again You know what I'm saying It probably won't It probably won't Cause of the youth
Starting point is 00:17:20 Cause he was able to do that like he said He spent out of his own pocket to make that album That's the album he wanted to make unfortunately a lot of people signed to these labels and stuff they can't make down when they want to make true so because of that they might want to make the killer Mike album got you but when you walk in the office and deliver that album now they can take this back and give us this go give us some bubblegum pocket some tick-tock shit it just feels good as a MC it just feels good as a musician as a fan of rap
Starting point is 00:17:48 for this album to win he on there talking about all types of fire politics science farming for real the education too but made it sound fly like yeah he did like let's not make it sound like some fucking weirdo like weird shit he did it sounds good all you gotta do is press play true whether you like the album or not because i saw people saying they didn't like it they didn't hear the message that it sends where it's yo you can still do it your way you don't have to cave you don't have to sell your soul you don't have to cave. You don't have to sell your soul. You don't have to follow that path. It took Killer Mike a long time to come up with this album.
Starting point is 00:18:30 How old is he? He's 48. Been in the game for two decades. Like you said, the alternate route's a long one. But he still got there. Doing it your own way. He manifested that though he sat on this couch confidently and said
Starting point is 00:18:47 yo I'm rapping my ass off this is the best I've been rapping since I've been around I'ma show y'all niggas something months ago damn near a year ago he sat on that couch and said yo this the one right here and I'm happy that all of these people won that
Starting point is 00:19:04 Grammy along with him. Mozzy. I love it. Jagged Edge. 3K. Fucking Todd Dollar. 2 Chainz. All of these people blast.
Starting point is 00:19:12 Like, I just love that everybody wins. Does that work with Rap Album, too? That's what I was about to say. I thought that was just Album of the Year. I don't know what you're talking about. I'm just asking. I thought that was just Album of the Year, where the features and everybody also get the Grammy for it.
Starting point is 00:19:26 Why would that be? Oh, that's dope. That makes sense. There are certain categories that are only credited to Album of the Year and Song of the Year. Yeah, I think it's just that Record of the Year. I think that they would still get absolutely some type of recognition. I'm not sure if they'll get the actual physical trophy.
Starting point is 00:19:40 They'll get a certificate or something. They'll definitely get a certificate. I could be wrong. You might. I think you're right. Because you know we're going with producers that we know. They'll definitely get a certificate. I could be wrong. You might. I think you're right. Because you know we're going producers that we know. We'll go in their studios and they'll be having all them fucking plaques up there. They do.
Starting point is 00:19:52 Yeah, yeah. They do do that. But we're talking about the actual. There's a difference with the actual physical trophy who gets that. In certain categories. And I'm not sure specifically if rap. That's fine though. That's fine.
Starting point is 00:20:03 Just being attached to it whether you get it whether you get it or not just being attached to it I'm glad that he came and stopped here and said all that shit word word is wrong
Starting point is 00:20:10 man congratulations to Killer Mike congratulations to all the people that won actually Dirk won yeah Coco Jones
Starting point is 00:20:19 Victoria Monet Victoria Monet cleaned up a little bit yeah she did SZA won SZA won not as big as I thought she would but she won a bit Victoria Monet. Victoria Monet. Cleaned up a little bit. Yeah, she did. SZA won. SZA won. Not as big as I thought she would, but she won a bit.
Starting point is 00:20:30 She won three or four. Something along those lines. Three, I think. I think it was three. Three. But the competition was stiff. It was. Pause. Super.
Starting point is 00:20:37 The competition was stiff. So for Victoria Monet to win some, SZA had to lose some and vice versa. You know what I'm saying? So it was almost like a... And you got that terror squad in the room. Why are these awards not televised?
Starting point is 00:20:50 The Killer Mike ones. The rap ones. I don't know the answer to that. If Will Smith said it in 89... Some of them have been. It's weird. Like pick and choose. Whenever you said it.
Starting point is 00:21:01 They seem to like pick and choose which... Which awards get televised choose which awards get televised year to year. I really think that there's some form of think tank that goes into it. They have a certain number.
Starting point is 00:21:14 It's like over 70 awards. So it's only, considering performances, what the host has to do, there's only so many they can put on TV. So they have to, all right, look, what are we going to do? Somebody's going to miss the cut. I think something from rap should be in there.
Starting point is 00:21:29 When I went, they wasn't televised in 03, 04. I don't remember when they was ever televised. No, I didn't. Because that's how we saw Macklemore's speech. Yeah. When he won. That was rap album or album of the year? No, that was album. No, that was he won. That was rap album or album of the year? No, that was an album.
Starting point is 00:21:47 That was rap album. Rap album. Rap album of the year. I think it's contingent upon the artist. I think it is too. I think that they obviously know who's going to win at the end of the day and what are people going to care about on TV at 8 o'clock across the country. Yeah, I think they care about the masses. So if Kanye or Kendrick Lamar or
Starting point is 00:22:03 J. Cole or Drake or someone of that stature is going to win Rap Album of the Year, they probably televise it. And they're going to be attending. Yeah. No disrespect to Killer Mike, but he's probably not. Yeah. You're going to have Drake get up there and give a speech. That makes sense. You're going to have Drake get up there and give a speech because he moves the needle.
Starting point is 00:22:19 So like everything else is economics. Yeah. That makes sense. Your girl won. Tyla. She did? Yeah. That makes sense. Your girl won. Tyla. She did? Yeah. Best African music performance.
Starting point is 00:22:29 Make me sweat. Big plaid. That's her first ever award, period. That was the inaugural award. That was the first time that award was ever given. That's a bar right there. Mm-hmm. That's dope.
Starting point is 00:22:39 I wish y'all stopped calling that girl a plant. She's not a plant. She's not a plant. Somebody said that? I wish y'all stopped calling that girl a plant. She's not a plant. She's not a plant. Somebody said that?
Starting point is 00:22:50 They think anybody that they can't really eyeball where the uptick came from is a plant. True. Yeah, but the second that you went to purchase that Water song, you should have and would have seen all of these records from like 2016. Bro, I played a record before Water as a sleeper. Yo, you been on a dick. Clip riding. Amen. Amen.
Starting point is 00:23:10 I'm out of here. That girl looks so young. How old is that girl? 20-something. Early 20s. Early 20s. Whatever. Whatever.
Starting point is 00:23:20 Salute. Salute. So what'd you guys think about the performances? Any performance stick out? I loved it, man. I gotta say this and I felt a little coonish. salute salute so what'd you guys think about the performances any performance stick out I loved it man I gotta say this
Starting point is 00:23:27 and I felt a little coonish I loved the Miley Cyrus joint she killed it I was in there like this she was acting
Starting point is 00:23:33 like Tina she put a little black in there so she won me over doing a little Tina reenactment that song was a bop too yes
Starting point is 00:23:39 and then the Luke Combs and Chasey Chapman I thought that was fire they killed it They killed it. They killed it. I, I, in that long fast car. I was in there like this.
Starting point is 00:23:51 Were you familiar with the song before? Yes, I was. You better rent this car. But I didn't know they did a remix like that. You better queue it up. Nice and smooth over there. I didn't know he covered it. But I thought, why'd you feel coonish?
Starting point is 00:24:03 I was too hyped for Miley Cyrus I'm like man she's great I know she is but then oh I played this bad times
Starting point is 00:24:13 yo y'all are so late on Tracy Chapman and now because this nigga named Luke come and cover it
Starting point is 00:24:20 that's fire he crushed that though that's fire that's when you do justice to a joint man I hate you I have a very different outlook that's fire I think it's fire, though. He crushed that, though. He killed it. That's fire. That's when you do justice to a joint, man.
Starting point is 00:24:26 I hate you. I have a very different outlook. Yeah, it's fire. That's fire, Joe. I think it's fire, too. She cares. It's number one again. It's number one. It's the same year, actually.
Starting point is 00:24:32 Like, 34 years later, it's number one again. Yeah. And she eats off his version that was also number one. Exactly. She is. She's like, I am fine with this. We even lightened it to some shit again. Y'all shouldn't need Luke to tell you that this is fire.
Starting point is 00:24:45 But if you never hear it, how do you know? I heard this when I was a kid. I played this still in my house. You're a music aficionado. And you're over 40. And your father is a music aficionado. And you 40. We remember when this song was a hit.
Starting point is 00:24:59 And it felt good to look in the audience and see the other music... Facts. Music aficionados doing the same thing I was doing in my house without all the cameras in front of their face neither. You know, I fuck with Taylor Swift, yo. I'm tired of it. Yeah, yo. Let's address the elephant.
Starting point is 00:25:19 I do. Taylor Swift, she was singing this. I do. Yo. She I do. Taylor Swift was singing this. I do. Yeah. Yo. She looks like she's fun to hang out with. Taylor Swift just be dancing. She was dancing without them cameras in her face.
Starting point is 00:25:36 As goofy as she seemed like she down in cool as hell. You know like the cool white girl. You know like the cool white girl that'll buy you weed, fucking put the light bill in her name, buy you a Rover, put you on an Air Max, try to cook mac and cheese. Yeah, come on, y'all. Stop fucking playing, yo. And I gotta say, that is one stoned, cold businesswoman, boy.
Starting point is 00:26:03 Stoned. She got up there to accept that award and say, yo. By the way, April 19th. She didn't move, you little frail bitch. We over here talking about motherfucking Beyonce and Taylor Swift, and that's the problem. Because that little debate won't let me appreciate Beyonce the way I'm supposed to. And it won't let me appreciate Taylor the way I'm supposed to. And Taylor got white bitches that she beefing with.
Starting point is 00:26:30 Yo. I'm sitting in my bedroom crying. I saw all that. I got tears coming down my eyes. Like, oh, shit, Celine. She was battling the shits. She came back. And then I'm glued to that necklace on her fucking neck.
Starting point is 00:26:46 She fly. Boy, oh boy. Different. Different in that room. Yeah. There's me, and then there's y'all. Yeah. That's what it looked like.
Starting point is 00:26:56 And then Taylor came up there and kicked her. Didn't even fucking announce. Kicked her to the side. Give me that. Move, you little friend. Didn't shake her hand. Nothing. Didn't shake her hand. Nothing. Didn't acknowledge her presence.
Starting point is 00:27:08 That's like a handoff. Excuse me. You know what I noticed, too? When the lady Lainey, when she won the country album. Oh, Lainey. Yeah. Yo, those country singers are haters, boy.
Starting point is 00:27:21 It's not only hip hop. They was not happy. They're like, yeah. I rewinded. I zoomed in. I said, only hip hop. They was not happy. They were like, yeah. I rewinded. I zoomed in. I said, that's nasty. They are nasty. Yeah?
Starting point is 00:27:30 Yeah. At some point, I do have to refer to my notes. All right, come on. Oh, for sure. I got a bunch of shit written down, too. OK. Fam, let me ask you a question. With the Taylor Swift, Celine thing, would you do that?
Starting point is 00:27:42 You would never do. I don't care what Rakim said about you. If you got up there and took a trophy from Rakim, you have to acknowledge Rakim. If Doug E. Fresh is up there, I go on that stage. Don't do that, yo. He's still mad. He's still mad with Apollo.
Starting point is 00:27:58 I'm with him. I'm not over the Apollo. I'm with him, my nigga. I'm not over the Apollo, nigga. You not going Doug E. Fresh, Celine Dion. And I shout everybody else on the stage out. And that's the beautiful thing about age, right? Fuck that. Some of the niggas that you couldn't beat up back then. Get on there.
Starting point is 00:28:13 Now that they're about 69. And they 5'7". Yeah, come on. Sam, you gotta go dunk and fresh the lean beyond. No, stop, stop, stop. You definitely hug rock cameras. You got enough money you gotta have to your fresh saline D on the floor. No, stop, stop, stop. You definitely hug Rock Cameron's head. You got enough money

Starting point is 00:29:03 It looked like baby fat from like from the 2000s. It looked on brand. It looked very on brand. We talking about it. It looked very Bronx up there. That was her intention. She wanted that look. Fordham Road mannequin with the fat ass.
Starting point is 00:29:20 I walked by the window and said, ah. I look like the Grammys. Right there. That's my outfit. She wasn't the only one that had a bad outfit. What's that white girl? Billie Eilish outfit was hot. Billie Eilish. Billie Eilish.

Starting point is 00:37:22 no, no, no. We got enough. We're going to proceed. Really? So we don't care. So we don't care. So we don't care. All right, they let Lizzo uncanceled. She's back.
Starting point is 00:37:30 We don't care that they put the little bananas in the pussy and they made the girl eat the shit out. You're making it sound too. And then come back to the room, lay, hey, yo, you want a job? You better get over here. You're making it sound too salacious. What? That's what happened.
Starting point is 00:37:43 All right, Lizzo's cool. She was up there good. That's it. That was dope little story about them being on tour back in the day and shit. That was dope. Performing in front of 100 people with Red Bull joint. I like that shit.
Starting point is 00:37:53 OK. Oh, you really watched five times for real. I watched it. I'm sorry. I'm out of breath because I was changing. And then I took a shot and I ran here. Shot o'clock. I'm taking a shot after I won a Grammy too. Lizzo and I have been friends since 2013 when we were both on a tiny red bull tour together.
Starting point is 00:38:17 Opening up in small rooms with a hundred people. I don't care about Lizzo right now. Lizzo is so amazing. I'm so grateful. You are better. I'd like to thank my parents, my mom and my dad, God, Top Dog Punch, all the TDE, and my siblings at TDE, to my godparents, to my niece. I just, I'm sorry.

Starting point is 00:38:56 It feels very fake. And I'm like, hi, Taylor. You like this. That's fire. It's usually fire. I love you. It's authentic. I'm just very grateful.
Starting point is 00:39:04 No, I'm talking about. I'm not even talking're here. No, I'm talking about the music. I'm talking about the music. Yeah, yeah, yeah. OK. Yeah. Just throw a hand. I mean, y'all like that shit. When a girl come over and act like that?

I've never had this happen to me before. She's usually very talented. I've never had this happen to me before.
Starting point is 00:39:26 She's usually very talented. She's in touch. She's in touch with her emotions. Y'all keep playing. Yeah, yeah. These two? Y'all keep playing. You're gonna get the one, boys. I'm good. Hey, man, listen. Congratulations to SZA. That second half, I still think was a little...
Starting point is 00:39:41 That was... Maybe I just got... Maybe I just got trauma. I've seen girls do that in the living room with the lights dimmed down. Oh, for sure. It could be scary, but hers doesn't rub me as scary. It rubs me as sincere. It's authentic. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:39:54 She's having a moment. And she's humble. And I didn't know that SZA got the duck lips. I never knew that. I was disappointed. I was disappointed to learn that SZA felt like she needed to do that or wanted to do that. I'd be disappointed with a bunch of them, but. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:40:11 She's beautiful. They really don't do it for us. Yeah. They all went and got the duck lips done. They did. Mm-hmm. They did. You ever see them shits on a real cold day?
Starting point is 00:40:26 What the fuck is wrong with you, man? I'm asking you a question. Yes, we've seen it, man. You ever seen that shit? If Shorty don't have the Melissa half-gallon of Carmex, what she got? The shade button. She got the cocoa button. She got the glue stick.
Starting point is 00:40:39 You ever see one side start losing it before the other side? Yeah. Oh, man. That shit like a flat tire. That shit look nasty. With a bubble in it. Yeah. And then they develop that little collagen in the mustache area right there.
Starting point is 00:40:53 Where it's a little like moley. Like it looks like a hill. Yeah. But they angle the camera in the picture so you don't see it. So they show up to you in real time. And you learn about that shit. Like, oh, shit. Looking like Wanda from In Living Color.
Starting point is 00:41:11 Yo, I'm telling you. You got it. What do I have here? Trevor is great. Absolutely smoked that Spotify TikTok joke. I love that joke. He did. He went crazy.
Starting point is 00:41:20 I don't know why Travis Kelsey didn't show up. I didn't like that. Why? Maybe because he got- because we got to watch the NFL games and watch fucking Taylor Swift every four seconds I want to watch the Grammys
Starting point is 00:41:30 and see Travis Kelsey in the box I thought about the same thing I thought about it it's still crazy though but he ain't coming he got the biggest sports event in the world

Starting point is 00:42:05 You can't do nothing over here with your little white boy fade. That don't matter. Shut up. Still with her? That's why I see y'all crazies in there. You tell us all the time it's more poor whites
Starting point is 00:42:18 getting your baggage. Getting your baggage, huh? This guy is a fool, son. Yeah, so, yeah,, so you can't come. Everybody can't go. Miley Cyrus always has one. She does. She does.
Starting point is 00:42:33 Yeah, she does. She's fire a little bit. She is super fire. She got a dope voice. Her range, that smoky fucking low shit is fire. I loved everything about it. She kept shading the Grammys though, saying how unimportant it was, the Grammy and stuff like that. I don't think that's what she was doing. But that's how I about it. She kept shading the Grammys, though, like saying how unimportant it was, the Grammy
Starting point is 00:42:46 and stuff like that. I don't think that's what she was doing. But that's how I took it. I think she was talking to artists. Yeah. And just artistry. Just tell them, don't worry about if you don't win one or not. You know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 00:42:56 Worry about yourself. You know, I listened to her a couple of times when she said it. It was twice. That was her first Grammy, too. But those were her first Grammys. Yeah. When she first got up. That was crazy.
Starting point is 00:43:03 I'm shocked that she didn't get one for Partying in the USA or one of them. She had a bunch of hits. Wrecking Ball. She got mad hits. Maybe that's where the shade come from.
Starting point is 00:43:12 I don't know. I don't think it's shade, though. It's just like, yo, focus, like, don't, this doesn't validate you. I got you. Focus on your craft
Starting point is 00:43:19 and honing your craft. You got other people that think this is the end all be all. I got it. If I don't get a Grammy, my career is. At first I was like, oh, damn, Maddie. Like when she first got up there, she said, man, I could have missed the Grammy, but I'm happy to be up here with Mariah.
Starting point is 00:43:33 I thought that was fly. And I'm like, damn right. And then she did it again. You know? She looked amazing. And she was singing. Yeah, she was singing her ass off. I loved her whole look too.
Starting point is 00:43:42 Her arms look nice. No, she was giving me like her whole, that performance was giving me Tina. Tina Turner look nice No she was giving me Her whole That performance was giving me Tina Tina Turner But her look was giving me Tina Turner That's what she was giving The dress

Starting point is 00:44:00 That was An homage to Tina Turner's performance Of Proud Mary a very specific performance with the dress and the arms out like that
Starting point is 00:44:09 and the body and that was it but her look was crossed between Jane Fonda and Barbarella and like Raquel Welch
Starting point is 00:44:16 in like one million years BC that was that was the homage that she did I didn't catch that I didn't catch that I thought it was strictly Tina let me double my notes. I thought it was strictly Tina.
Starting point is 00:44:25 Let me double check my notes. I'm pissed. I thought it was strictly Tina. I thought we kept it strictly black. I don't see nothing about what Tina? BC. Turner.
Starting point is 00:44:33 Oh. Well, go ahead. You didn't see that. You don't feel it. No. You didn't see Tina? Yo, don't disrespect Tina Turner. Even the second time.

Starting point is 00:46:44 Boy, Martha was right. was right that G stand for grande I gotta tell Martha that shit was sick I told y'all Martha came to you and you tried to ignore her I said oh shit I gotta call Martha you got to I'm going somewhere. Yeah, Martha told me about Carol G. Boy, she did. Oh, man. I'm flustered, man. We ain't shit, yo. That's the same thing. That's right up your little alley, too.
Starting point is 00:47:15 Yo, that's right up your alley. No speaking much? You stay away from it. Stay away from it. If it's up his alley, stay away from it. No speaking much. You stay away from it. If it's up his alley, stay away from it. If it's up his alley, stay away from it. No speaking much. You stay away from it. You don't want no category arguments.
Starting point is 00:47:31 This is going to be minimal. Minimal conversation right here. Cash App A. You know, for me to have that reputation, I've never actually used the translator app to beat anything. Cash App A. There we go. I've never actually used the translator app to beat anything cash app a There we go translate is universal yeah, yeah. They go right there. Oh, yeah. What's that? Scan here.
Starting point is 00:48:06 Scan here. They give you the shit. You just scan. Scan here. Scan. Yeah, scan me up. Yo, that's crazy. You shitting me? Defund.
Starting point is 00:48:12 I saw a stripper. Real off of that, I saw a stripper that had the Cash App barcode. On the hill, right? On the hill. Yeah. So you just scan the phone and you're such a bird ass. Technology, man. Sal ass technology Andy Lennox doing Sinead O'Connor
Starting point is 00:48:27 is absolutely fire that was amazing that was the best in memoriam as a whole that I've probably ever seen in the Grammys like top
Starting point is 00:48:34 to bottom like usually there's one good performance in there but then they have some dude playing a cello and we're like alright cool cute
Starting point is 00:48:40 but like opening with Stevie even though I didn't really necessarily love the jazz vibe your stevie is sick of us yeah stevie is sick of us and i just finished watching the we are the world so we gotta get your thoughts on that after after the grammys well my thought is i can't believe they did all that after an award show
Starting point is 00:49:02 word i cannot believe that they did that after an award show i can't believe they did all that after an award show. Word. I cannot believe that they did that after an award show. I can't believe that Lionel Richie and Michael Jackson had 48 hours or however many hours they had to send Quincy some shit. That's pressure. Word.
Starting point is 00:49:17 I can't believe Stevie Wonder didn't call him back. Imagine if they would have waited and he pop up three weeks later. Get the fuck out of here. I loved when that white boy left when Stevie started trying to sing Swahili on
Starting point is 00:49:31 New York. I told you. He was like, yeah, this isn't for me. Waylon Jennings, this is not my jam. This is not my brand. He got a body dance. Peace. I gotta go. The ladies scream from the side, wait, but they don't even speak body dance. That nigga said, peace. I got to go.
Starting point is 00:49:45 He did. Then the ladies screamed from the side, wait. But they don't even speak that dance, Stevie. Like, you fucking. It was 6 in the morning. Stevie was like, man, I love this one. Man, Cindy's like, what the fuck is this nigga doing? What the fuck is this nigga doing?
Starting point is 00:50:01 Flip said, that nigga got the fuck up on this. He didn't even say body buy the nigga's stuff. Al Jarreau was nuts. Nuts. Why would he have a solo? I told you. Exactly. Why did Al Jarreau and the girl from
Starting point is 00:50:12 Betty Davis, why did they have solos? Al Jarreau. There's so many people that could have had solos. Yo, you know what's funny? After the doc, I like the bad solos now.
Starting point is 00:50:24 They shouldn't have had no solo, man. Manny Davis. I was watching the solo. After Mike in the bridge. Mike was tight. Mike was irritated at the combo. He was like, holy shit. That shit was crazy.
Starting point is 00:50:39 No, that was great. That shit was crazy. But I cannot believe they did all that after an award show. Yeah, it was wild. That explains why Al. But I cannot believe they did all that after an awards show. Yeah, that's wild. That explains why Al was in there fucked up there. No, he kept ordering wine. They kept hiding it. They had a big wine pot on the floor. They drank all this wine from a fucking
Starting point is 00:50:55 nigga that's looking for wine. Yo, what is wrong with Quincy Jones? You know, he's gonna find an answer. Up there it is. They'll get that right there. Anyway. Back there, dude. Go get that right there. Bring me that. Anyway. Back to the ground.
Starting point is 00:51:08 Back to the ground. Annie Lennox. Annie Lennox doing Sinead O'Connor is absolutely fire. I love that. Stevie's sick of us. He's been performing for 99 years now. Yeah, get him. It's time.
Starting point is 00:51:21 Still won't give him his big one. Still won't give him his lifetime achievement award. John Batiste killed that shit. Yeah, he's time to... Still won't give him his big one. Still won't give him his Lifetime Achievement Award. John Batiste killed that shit. Yeah, he's fire. Yeah, he's sick, yo. Yo. He's sick. That's who was performing when I caught the glimpse of Taylor just in her zone.
Starting point is 00:51:36 And I was like, you know what? I fuck with this bitch. I do. I like her. Yeah. And I meant to tell you, like three or four weeks ago, my dad calls me and he's like, you know, he's asking about Taylor Swift, which is weird. Because, you know, I think he's like a Black Panther or some shit. And I'm like, why are you asking me about Taylor Swift?
Starting point is 00:52:00 I said something like that. And he was like, I like her. I said something like that. And he was like, I like her. He said, her views are very aligned with mine in terms of, then he got in his political bag. And then all the stories started to break on the news about how people are waiting to see what Taylor Swift has to say about candidates and who she's endorsing and what's
Starting point is 00:52:28 going with it. It's big games they play. So can we stop the argument now from going forward? This girl is a moving tank. My nigga out here. In any arena in the United States, she is moving shit. Whoever she endorses, it matters?
Starting point is 00:52:47 Stop comparing her to people. So look, I ain't trying to be funny stop comparing y'all saw the shit that happened before um like a couple weeks ago the ai pictures that went viral yeah so now somebody last night did the same shit like y'all gonna get y'all asses locked up they already meeting with congress now she's actively changing she ain't even said shit she's just because they're using her likeness you can't play with nobody of that magnitude they're creating new laws now today to kind of curb a lot of this shit they took pictures of her on the red carpet and had her hold it and the shit looked real like i thought it was i was like no she wouldn't do that holding up a a trump won democrats live oh shit and this is deep fake
Starting point is 00:53:27 shit yeah and it's just like that but again to what y'all saying people are really waiting to see which way she go crazy so but a fake and they say that that's why number three in universal versus tiktok about hate speech and number two with the of AI, that's why it was a big concern for them on TikTok as well. I get it now. It's all connected. It's all that shit's tied in. But I do want to reply to that. I ain't letting you do that.
Starting point is 00:53:53 You back on your shit? I don't, I'm not, yeah, I'm not. Back on your shit, we got to stick with the blacks. Because as I'm watching this thing, no, we don't. You can stick with what we want to stick with. Yo, why do we got to be one or the other? Yeah, that's exactly what I'm coming to say. We are acknowledging this young lady and the level of influence
Starting point is 00:54:04 that she has as a 30-some-odd We are acknowledging this young lady and the level of influence that she has as a 30-some-odd-year-old young lady. That's a musician. She's amazing. But we still have to represent some more. That's me.
Starting point is 00:54:14 It's impressive. That's him. Can't take that away. It's impressive. You were saying? But in regards to Beyonce, and this is just how I'm viewing it that night, just in watching the room,
Starting point is 00:54:33 Taylor Swift and Beyonce to me is like if... Mike and Prince. No, if they both were stuck on Gilligan's Island and Taylor Swift got a helicopter to go where she had to go and get back to civilization, Beyonce, to me, has to learn how to swim and swim for hundreds of miles and take all of the bumps and bruises
Starting point is 00:55:01 to get to the same destination. Taylor Swift is more representative of pop. So when you say Taylor Swift versus Beyonce, it's like Beyonce versus all of the powers that came with Taylor Swift slash Scooter Braun, if we're talking about who we come in with. And Scooter Braun at the time is the most powerful nigga in the universe with all the biggest pop stars. So that leverage, along with the best songwriters, along with the,
Starting point is 00:55:29 all of those geniuses I spoke about at the top of the show are there with Taylor Swift from day one at that Holy Trinity table back there. Miley Cyrus, all of them.
Starting point is 00:55:38 Coming up with it. I'm pretty sure Beyonce had a pretty good team behind her too. No, she copped. She copped to the team. No, Beyonce came in with, and I thought about this because her dad
Starting point is 00:55:45 as soon as her dad is doing interviews talking about why she didn't win or whatever the fact i'm like look at this doof i'm talking about i'm talking about in terms of producer songwriters i think she got to that level i don't think she walked in the door with that yeah yeah she she did it the mom and pops way like the Carters in that room were mom and pops. They were the mom and pop store of that room. They are and operate as their own faculty. That's true. And their competition for the big dogs.
Starting point is 00:56:20 And we view it that way. But we should not view it that way but we should not view it that way i want to give taylor her respect in terms of being the biggest driver of inventory in the world and being the inventory like she's just all of those things she moves numbers differently than everyone else in the world currently but i don't want that to negate from me having eyes and ears and knowing all that Beyonce had to endure and go through to even be looked at in that light. I agree.
Starting point is 00:56:53 My thing is I just don't see why we always pit two people against each other. I like them both. I like two at all. I'm caving for Taylor now. I think just two people could be amazing. I don't think it takes away from Parks' amazing ability to big up. Mel. I just don't think the two.
Starting point is 00:57:10 We do that as humans. We just got to put two people against each other, and we don't have to do that. A lot of times it's really like women. I'm always playing Beyonce. In the society. I've never played Taylor Swift. Usually it's pitting women against each other. No, that's not true.
Starting point is 00:57:23 It's not. We did it for Michael Jackson and Prince. We did it for everybody. Everybody. We did it for everybody. It's anybody that's at the top. It's us and Jay-Z. We do it with LeBron and Michael Jordan.
Starting point is 00:57:31 We do it with everybody. It's not just, it's everywhere. I do wish they would, in my notes I have, I wish they would stop making legacy acts do new songs. Yeah, I hate that. It's really annoying. Billy Joel? Billy Joel, Joni Mitchell, U2, even Stevie doing the jazz cover.
Starting point is 00:57:48 Yeah. Play me your slaps, bro. Like, I get what you're doing. That's hate, bro. That's white on white hate. Billy Joel knew shit was fire, nigga. No, it was not. I like that.
Starting point is 00:57:58 It was all right. No, it's not. That's white on white hate, and that's coon hate, nigga. Stop it. Billy Joel shit was nice. Oh, and my man in the fucking We Are The World shit. What's my man? Bob Dylan?
Starting point is 00:58:10 Bob, yeah. What the fuck was up with Bob Dylan? That's Bob. He didn't want to move. That's how he sings. He was bubbling. He had to go to Stevie. Stevie helped him. Quincy Jones is the best in the world. He's the best in the world. He's the best
Starting point is 00:58:26 in the world. He is. Nobody else was going to hear that bullshit that Bob Dylan laid just now and work around and figure it out. He figured that shit out. Went over to him like he smoked it. Bob telling him, that was trash.
Starting point is 00:58:41 Bob, are you like that? You sure? Quincy, we keeping it. Don't worry, big dog. You here. You here. We got the stems. Oh, man. That shit was beautiful. Anyway, Fantasia, I love you, girl.
Starting point is 00:58:57 I love you. She love you back. Stop. Stop. I absolutely love Love Love that Fantasia performance However
Starting point is 00:59:12 There is a however Dead Tina dance better than Fantasia Exactly There you go And that's only highlighted to me Because You doing Proud Mary Tina She vocally spoke If you wasn't doing Oh yeah Vocally spoke Vocally she looked good highlighted to me because you're doing Proud Mary.
Starting point is 00:59:25 Tina, if you wasn't doing Proud Mary, oh yeah, vocally she looked good. And she looked great. The dancers and her dances. She was great.
Starting point is 00:59:34 Everything about that was great. But if you've ever seen Tina Turner in Proud Mary, then you could see the silhouette of Tina up there.
Starting point is 00:59:43 Yeah. Like the ghost of Tina. And I Yeah. Like the ghost of Tina. Joe was right. I said the same thing. And I was like, that ghost is smoking. Smoking. That's the part where you go. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:59:55 That's when they started going crazy. Yeah. She ain't. Yeah. There was an interesting choice in my notes because vocally, amazing. Beautiful. Visually beautiful. Who's going to say beautiful. Dancing wise,
Starting point is 01:00:06 it's not the energy that's in it. Not at all. That leg wasn't legging, yo. It wasn't, Tina. Respectfully. I like Fantasia. She got a little boo thing,
Starting point is 01:00:14 but... Yeah, a little husband. Natural lips. Natural donkey. Yo, man's wife. Come on, it's a man's wife. Bruh.
Starting point is 01:00:23 Hey, yo, I know her husband look like Joe, nigga, but that don't mean you can be his ex. Come on, it's a man's wife. Bruh. Hey, yo, I know her husband look like Joe, nigga, but that don't mean you can be his ex. Come on, come on, stop. Enough. Enough. Stop chasing around niggas' bitches.
Starting point is 01:00:30 Leave her alone. Wait a minute. Yo, what is wrong with you, man? You guys are nuts. What is wrong with you? He been on Ish's ass, like, since he was little. Why, though? I don't know.
Starting point is 01:00:37 He won't tell us why. Ish got this energy about him, man. He got this very energy. And I want to, I want to douse his flame today. He keeps saying, like, yo, I'm, I'm, so you say something, I'm on you. Scared him though. Scared who? Ish. Ish kind of chilled out a little bit. Picture that.
Starting point is 01:00:51 Don't hype Ish. Now you're going to look at your dick. Yeah. You know I'm mad? Now look at nigga's dick. When you was talking on that live, you looked like you fried me up a little bit. I forgot all about that. You doing the flamingo stance in my mind. You want to come in and get his revenge,
Starting point is 01:01:08 you were live on Friday. Oh. I hosed it in. I can't wait to get to thinking that. Time for my favorite part of the show, you know the vibes, prize pay! Final game of the year.

Starting point is 01:02:25 Brock Purdy Less than 247.5 passing yards I do not see it for him Sorry Not against that secondary boy Sorry Once they showed Once they showed him
Starting point is 01:02:36 Walking around in the locker room Back there with his khakis Once they showed me him Walking in a locker room Full of killers I'm off him. The white boys with the dockers, they get busy. I don't have them for more than 247.5 passing yards.
Starting point is 01:02:52 And Brandon Ayuk, I have for less than 63.5 receiving yards. Not mad at it. Chiefs defense is legit. Yeah. That damn Spagnolia shows up. Spagnolia shows up when he's supposed to show up. He did its defense is legit. Yeah. That damn Spagnolia shows up. Yeah. Spagnolia shows up when he's supposed to show up. He did it for y'all.
Starting point is 01:03:09 Yeah. Yes, he did. Salute, salute. Don't forget to use promo code JBP. Shout out to Prize Picks. And congratulations to all of the winners out there that won this football season. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.
Starting point is 01:03:21 Back to the Grammys. Okay. Got a couple things left. Mm-hmm. The to the Grammys. Okay. Got a couple things left. Mm-hmm. The elephant in the room. You are the elephant. All right. Because there was so many different mixed reviews and opinions based on what was said.
Starting point is 01:03:41 Got it. Y'all, we love y'all. We love y'all. We want y'all to get it right. At least get it close to right. And obviously it's it. Got it. Y'all, we love y'all. We love y'all. We want y'all to get it right, at least get it close to right. And obviously it's subjective. Y'all don't got to clap at everything. Obviously it's subjective because it's music and it's opinion based. But some things, I don't want to embarrass this young lady, but she has more Grammys
Starting point is 01:04:03 than everyone and never won album in a year So even by your own metrics that doesn't work Think about that the most Grammys never won album of the year that doesn't work You know some of you Some of you gonna go home tonight and feel like you've been robbed Some of you may hit Rob And feel like you've been robbed Some of you may get robbed
Starting point is 01:04:30 Some of you don't belong in a category When I get nervous I tell the truth But outside of that outside of that you know we got to keep showing up and forget the Grammys for a second just in life As I as my daughter sits and stares at me nervous as I am Just in life you got to keep showing up just keep showing up forget the Grammys you got to keep showing up Until you until they give you all those accolades you feel you deserve Until they call you chairman until they call you a genius until they call you the greatest of all time Feel me That was crazy, son. That was a night.
Starting point is 01:05:45 That was a moment. That was a moment. It was. Never forget that. As he was up there, he appeared nervous to me before he got to. That's the most nervous I've ever seen. Before he got to anything. Like, it brought me back to, you could just, we've seen Hov. We know Hov. We know Hov.
Starting point is 01:06:08 He was up there looking like he had something to say. I didn't know where he was going with that. I don't know if he did either. I'm talking about before he started. I think he did. I think he did. Super, super intentional. But the weight, the weight of saying that and saying it in that room to those people as a board member, I'm sure. And as they give you an award. The Dr. Dre Award, the Black Grammy, the Black Grammy. I'm conflicted. I loved it.
Starting point is 01:06:42 Let me start there. I absolutely loved it. I absolutely, absolutely loved it. Let me start there. I absolutely loved it. I absolutely, absolutely loved it. That's hip-hop to me. What is? The brazenness of that move. True. To get up there on that stage, be a board member,
Starting point is 01:07:02 accept an award, and then call out the very stage he's standing on. Yeah. That's hypocritical to me. When Kanye did it. That was the VMAs. Why is that hypocritical? Because you're so... I didn't even finish the praise. Oh, go ahead.
Starting point is 01:07:15 We're here. Because it's... You're like anti... I don't want to say establishment, but you're anti-Billboard.'re anti like you you constantly state that none of that shit matters I'm on the other side of that so now for you to come up here and basically hey y'all ain't giving us y'all y'all y'all not giving her the award that I feel she deserves even though he admits that music is subjective mm-hmm she's has more than anybody but she's never won album of the year well we know
Starting point is 01:07:49 how to won the Grammys play when y'all you boycott it you haven't looked at us in the best light so yeah we don't want to give you all our top awards like this is a business at the end of the day this is politics and you know it he could be anti but others me Beyonce is you as a man he went up to speak on behalf of his wife he did you can be anti but if you're she's boycotted with you so y'all have done that together i don't understand the um you have more the most grammys of anybody in history. Why is the album of the year that important?
Starting point is 01:08:28 Because that's the one. That's the one. And it's an oxymoron. That's the most important Grammy. Is it? Yeah. Yes. That's why they end the show with it.
Starting point is 01:08:34 It's the last award. How is that an oxymoron, though? Because if you are recognizing, let's just say one particular project. Let's say Project X comes out. And Project X wins three, four, five awards. Typically, that's going to x comes out and the project x wins three four five awards typically that's going to get the album of the year it's the same thing with the um the oscars when the oscars come out director the three or four movies that we hear about are the ones and so when they win best cinematography best uh score best, best that, the best actor of the year.
Starting point is 01:09:06 You know what I mean? It's hard to say. It's hard to win best picture and not win best director. Like, it's always like, well, wait, how? Some of those things tie in. So you giving me all of these props for this one particular project, but that project wasn't good enough to win your most prestigious award is almost kind of contradictory. That's my opinion.
Starting point is 01:09:23 So I see where the, it might lie. Like when Kendrick sweeps, he goes crazy. Yeah, but she don't sweep all the time. It's not even. It's not all the time. I'm not even talking about. I have her stats.
Starting point is 01:09:34 I'm not saying all the time. What I'm saying is, the lady has a 20. She done pulled up some stats. Yeah, no, she got a 20 year history of greatness. But in the 20 years, she never could get the album of the year. It's a little, that's all I'm saying.
Starting point is 01:09:46 I see where his frustration would be. I'm not necessarily in agreement with it, but I understand the validity of what he's saying. Like, I'm looking at who she lose to. Now, outside of the one in 2015 where she lost to Beck, because that was... Weird as fuck.
Starting point is 01:10:00 That was crazy. But outside of that, you lost to Adele. Shouldn't have lost to Adele. Yeah, and Adele was like embarrassed about winning the award against her. Beyonce, this is your award. She should not have lost to Adele, and that's back to my problem with the Beyonce-Taylor Swift beef. Y'all keep putting Beyonce up against whoever is from the Holy Trinity of whites. That's popping at the time.
Starting point is 01:10:23 But that was her award. So you've already named two that she probably should have gotten don't agree with i think adele should have won that's fine by you but if you're a carter if you're a carter you don't feel like that then you lose the tale of swift okay like you're losing to their people who they put we know how this works that's why i don't understand so to, yo, try and make it more fair. It's not fair. I'm not saying that it is. Yeah, but he's saying try.
Starting point is 01:10:49 He's saying that, what world do we live in where any of that happens? This shit ain't fair. This is business. And let's be clear, y'all have shitted on the Grammys. So no, we not giving you our big awards. Because it's business. We not. Because it's business business when it comes to
Starting point is 01:11:05 hove we know well i know him to be a very shrewd businessman he's very business savvy he is far from a dummy after his boycott whatever little peace treaty they created with the grammys it With the Grammys. It helped. Hov negotiates for him and his family showing up. Correct. So he negotiated when it was time for Beyonce to break that record. With the baby rub. No, last year when she cracked most Grammys ever. That's why he performed. He negotiated that.
Starting point is 01:11:43 Oh, so God did. Yeah. Most Grammys ever. That's why he performed. He negotiated that. Oh, see what God did. Yeah. Anytime that he shows up with his family, I assume him to be on the better end of the negotiation.
Starting point is 01:11:51 My initial beef with this was that the hip hop in me says, fuck a Grammy. The hip hop in me says, you know, this thing was born because we were not looking for the acceptance and the validation of anyone we did our own thing and it just grew but now because of corporations and capitalism and these companies y'all have totally diminished every element in hip-hop except for the capitalist part except for the target consumerism shoppity shop uh shit so this year that beef i don't have because i believe hove and dre to be uh the music taylor Swift, Travis Kelsey. Dre says, you come do the Super Bowl over here at my place. Dre says, I'm giving you this award.
Starting point is 01:12:55 Please show up. Okay. You show up when that happens. True. That's right. See, here's my other thing. You show up and you take that award. Absolutely. And I'm speculating here
Starting point is 01:13:05 but just looking and the look that dre gave him they gave each other that they gave each other and then all of their duets pop up and then you just start thinking a whole writing you just start thinking of a 20 and 30 year bond between these two black billionaires. Like then you just got to start to imagine what those conversations are like. And those conversations, I'm certain mirror and mimic some of what he was saying. I agree. So let me ask you a question. You said whole shows up out of negotiation,
Starting point is 01:13:43 right? We agree. We can all agree to that i do so my part of my problem with the speech was you went up there and acknowledged how when will smith and them boycott the grammys back in i think was 89 it was because they didn't televise any of the rap uh categories if that's part of your your beef and you negotiate and negotiate to have the rap shit shown. Or are you just up here to speak on what's beneficial to you?
Starting point is 01:14:09 Because there was no whole nomination in the rap category. So you come up here to tell them, yo, I didn't give Beyonce the Album of the Year award. So you're speaking on what only directly affects you. I think he just used her. I think he used her as an example because she is a very good example to be used. He used DMX as the biggest example.
Starting point is 01:14:26 He used DMX. He said, yo, DMX put out two albums that year. DMX murdered shit. And y'all didn't give him nothing. And y'all ain't televised when DMX was larger than life. And he said. It wasn't about him being selfish at that moment. Yo, Will Smith and them did this this year for this reason.
Starting point is 01:14:43 I think they did it wrong. They went home and they watched. That might have been his joke, but he said, I think they did it wrong. He said, yo, he said we did it too. He said I did it too. I did it wrong too. I boycotted and I went and watched. I think that speaks to, you know, we come in here all the time and say,
Starting point is 01:15:02 oh, fuck the Grammy. Why do people want a Grammy? Oh, the validation. Oh, we hip hop hip hop but the truth of the matter is artists want that acknowledgement that respect and that appreciation
Starting point is 01:15:13 for their artwork from their peers it's different from fans this is from people that do this and understand people do want that we can say whatever we want people want the shit and i think doesn't matter but but but acknowledge that you want but what i got from that was as he continued that he learned different ways to boycott that's what i that's yep that's
Starting point is 01:15:38 what i heard that was unsaid and i always so you talk about he should have argued for the rap category to be on tv i believe him to be having way more seismic arguments at that negotiating table i think i don't i do not think that he was up there just speaking for his family even though that's what a lot of people heard as an artist sitting in bed watching that shit i felt like he was speaking for us. That's true. And we needed somebody. We're going to always need somebody to speak for us in that moment. We need to see him
Starting point is 01:16:11 holding his daughter's hand, saying that shit. Us, we... Us. How many years we've... It's whole. We need... We looking at fucking
Starting point is 01:16:21 Hawaiian Sophie. I don't know what's going on right now. We looking at fucking Hawaiian Sophie. I don't know what's going on right now. We looking at Hawaiian Sophie with the hair down to his, that all of the, everything that nigga do is symbolic of something. He's a self-professed drug dealer that has transcended every single walk of life. Getting up there, I think, this is my opinion, like you're saying, I'm thinking that the behind-the-scenes arguments are a different level of argument.
Starting point is 01:16:50 So some of the small wins that we're getting, they may not be big enough for most, but I think he's having real fights back there. Like, cool, to Ice's point, it might not be fair. My nigga, let's make it a little more fair. Let's make it, and then I think you get the baby steps until you are at the finish line and that's back to that lens i hate to keep referring to it but that that that lens from the taylor beyonce beef or fake beef whatever it is because beyonce is always supportive because the comparison we're looking at who many of us deem to be the best of the best up there
Starting point is 01:17:27 one rapper number one most accomplished one of the wealthiest one of the best execs chairman all of that shit he's done we're looking at not only the best of the best but the best of the best married to the best of the best. And he up there saying that. They're doing it to him. And her. And them. And us. I took that as a fucking, as a mass text. As a mass text to anybody
Starting point is 01:17:57 out there that understood what the fuck he was talking about and going through. And I needed to see it. That was spectacular. That was... I had to see it. That was spectacular. That was... I had to text that nigga. Did he respond? He responds. He responds.
Starting point is 01:18:15 Just trying to play you right here a little bit. No, I wasn't. No, I'm sitting... That was nuts. Why does that matter? I'm literally curious about the response. I mean, I don't call them tics. We don't have pet names for each other.
Starting point is 01:18:31 Hovi. God, that shit hit me in my spirit is what I'm trying to say. Like, it touched me in my soul. It gave me faith and confidence that maybe in the next 50 to 75 years, things will be different. Maybe not even that long things can change I remember the arrogance of radio stations
Starting point is 01:18:48 when we was running around in 04 saying yo digital's coming they was like fuck y'all get the fuck get the fuck
Starting point is 01:18:57 out of here Celine Dion I don't even think that's what they said I don't think it's 50 I don't know I don't know the young 50. I don't know. I don't know. The young boys are following him. The next generations, the next few generations of elite acts and artists are going to be talking to fucking a Hov, a Big Platt, a fucking Steve Stout, a fucking this.
Starting point is 01:19:22 Even on the sports platform. A Dr. Dre. LeBron is 39. 39 a lebron like this it's not about today it's about the ripple effects that will come after and maybe the grammys won't hold so much weight when all of the artists in the world now that matter have decided to go a different route isn't that a money thing more things are important huh like when you you when you're um when you have Grammys and all of that stuff,
Starting point is 01:19:47 now you use that as leverage for more money. Yeah. Right? Like I'm Grammy nominated or I'm 10 times Grammy award winner. Give me more space.
Starting point is 01:19:54 I mean, Beyonce don't need that to leverage, but I'm just saying like, yo, dog, for an up and coming act to now say, I have a Grammy,
Starting point is 01:20:03 put another couple zeros on that joint absolutely so I see that even a nomination I see that I find the whole argument about you know why bother
Starting point is 01:20:13 like why demand or cry out for validation but it's just like the Grammy's a bit how long have the Grammy's been around for
Starting point is 01:20:21 I'm not sure I don't know it's literally it's basically like the Oscars of music. You know, the prestige of the award dictates exactly
Starting point is 01:20:29 what Ish is saying. It's like, it dictates the leverage that you can pull in your career. So it's just like, I've always found it strange
Starting point is 01:20:36 when people are like, well, why are you bothering to even make mention? You know, just don't show up, just boycott. And it's just like,
Starting point is 01:20:41 no, why isn't the playing field more level? I felt like that was what hove was trying to say like people were saying that it was like a self-aggrandizing and he's only concerned about himself i'm i heard exactly what joe heard i heard he was speaking for everybody in the real world it's not a level playing field and we all know that so but to accept that as the status quo is unacceptable but when you're in that particular
Starting point is 01:21:05 position position that he's in the only place you can say something like that is on that stage it's not gonna hit if he doesn't offer it in the new york times and his participation like even in the nfl or even if he's on the board that that participation is a cog in change. Because people will be like, yo, if they don't fuck with us, don't fuck with them. No, dog, I need to get in this room so the youth coming behind us
Starting point is 01:21:31 don't got to go through what we went through. It ain't 50 million Jay-Z's. It ain't 50 million Dr. Dre's or the dudes from QC. It ain't 50 million of them. So all of the other people that's in hip hop might not have the business acumen or brain functionality
Starting point is 01:21:45 That they got So I'm gonna make it easier For them You know what I'm saying I agree with you I think he looked at this As like a responsibility Of him
Starting point is 01:21:53 Because he's Hov He's one of one He's the only person That can do it Exactly I agree And you don't want Your wife doing it
Starting point is 01:21:59 No So I'm gonna sit here But she never would I've never seen him That nervous Usually he's just composed. He speaks. His thoughts start popping up.
Starting point is 01:22:08 He was nervous. Like visually nervous. So what do you think as the Grammys? What do you think as the Grammys? Because again, this could have been a playoff of last year. You know, we negotiated. Okay, we mended our beef. I come perform.
Starting point is 01:22:21 I shut down the Grammys. Y'all advertised my performance the entire rollout for the Grammys Y'all Y'all Advertise my performance The entire rollout For the Grammys We do that Bong We come back next year And
Starting point is 01:22:30 Oh yeah I played my wife Like Y'all still playing In my face How do you think Now with them I'm just speaking From the company side
Starting point is 01:22:38 How do you think They respond to that I think they look At the numbers And say yo The Jay Z performance last year, our numbers are up. Maybe this year's numbers are up.
Starting point is 01:22:49 No, the reports say this year's numbers are up, like 36%. Yeah, because I watched the whole thing. Most views since 2020. Yeah, I watched the whole thing. But also, I think it's necessary that there was a change in the guard. Neil Portnoy, he was the CEO or chairman of the Grammys, and he stepped down, what, in like 2019 or a couple years agoys, and he stepped down, what, in like 2019?
Starting point is 01:23:05 A couple years ago. A couple years ago or something like that? He said that dumb ass shit. Yeah, well, and also now he's got some others. Stuff like that matters. That matters. The now chairman was on the stage, and if I'm not mistaken, wasn't he black?
Starting point is 01:23:17 He looked mixed. I don't know for sure, but he wasn't white. Yeah. But that matters. Yeah. That definitely matters. Yo, two board members turn into four. Mm-hmm.
Starting point is 01:23:27 Turn into 12. You get what I'm saying? Like, slowly but surely. But let's say Jay-Z say, fuck y'all, I don't want to sit on a board. Or another black person says, fuck y'all, I don't want to sit on a board. We don't see that incremental change that we see. You know what I mean? There's no point in being outside the boardroom where you can't hear what the fuck is actually going on.
Starting point is 01:23:44 Change don't come from outside. It come from within. Listen, the speech was, I feel like the speech was necessary and it needed to be said. And if we took all the blacks in a room to go vote for who should give the speech, Jay-Z would be on my list. He would be the one. He'd be on my list. Your list. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:23:59 It would be him. It gotta be him. I mean, I'd probably put some more people down too, but we got great blacks. At the jammies? Mm-hmm. Yeah, we got great blacks to speak. Yeah. They ain't going to be heard like that.
Starting point is 01:24:15 Yeah, it needed to be done by him. It did. It did. Beyonce needed to have the big cowboy hat on hiding. Hiding her facial expressions. She was high as hell up here. I'm about to laugh at all y'all stupid. Stupid.
Starting point is 01:24:30 What do you think about, they said that she made the face when he said that. I don't agree with that. I think she got personally mad like, yeah, fuck y'all. I don't think she was making a face at him at all. Yeah, that's what they said.
Starting point is 01:24:44 I didn't look at it like that. She knew exactly. There was no way he, she didn't know what he was going to say. Listen, that's what your husband is for, yo. You know that I have to support, I support this white girl. I'm showing up to Taylor's movie screening.
Starting point is 01:24:59 I'm going to the concert. I'm wearing the clothes we matching. I'm doing all of that shit. But if I got a gripe about it, yeah, nigga, go up there. You got to say it. Go up there the clothes we matching. I'm doing all of that shit. But if I gotta gripe about it, yeah, nigga, go up there. And you him. Rap. And I gripe. Yeah, take Lil Uzi with you. Get up there.
Starting point is 01:25:13 And they left right after that shit. The fuck you talking about? I love it. Hip hop. I needed that after seeing Killer Mike in handcuffs, after seeing the best rap album not be televised. I needed that. I did. And then right after that, after seeing the best rap album not be televised, I needed that. I did. And then right after that, Album of the Year was announced and da-da-da-da.
Starting point is 01:25:32 Taylor Swift. Taylor Swift. That was a crock of shit. It really was because this is a shit of fucking money. That was a crock of absolute shit. Y'all crazy as hell. That Taylor, let's coon later. Can you coon later? I ain't no coonin'.
Starting point is 01:25:43 Y'all just, listen. Have you listened to this album to Taylor's album why we gotta be crazy cause we have a different opinion than you they're crazy welcome to our world
Starting point is 01:25:50 mmm you wanna cool now or later I cool right now get it on you call it Conan fam business they have been rolling
Starting point is 01:25:59 Taylor Swift in front of the biggest stage which is the Superbowl leading up to that and the Grammys is a week before what the fuck did y'all think was going to happen?
Starting point is 01:26:06 What? Oh, that's going to be your answer to everything. Then we can't have a conversation. I'm telling you, look at this from, bro, this has been a business play from the minute they started dating.
Starting point is 01:26:15 This has all been a trap. They done got, this has been. That's the problem. Oh, so the Super Bowl, so Casey is going to win the Super Bowl. What you call a business play, I call white privilege. To the highest level. So the Super Bowl, so Casey is going to win the Super Bowl. What you call a business play, I call white privilege. To the highest level.
Starting point is 01:26:28 So the Super Bowl is a foregone conclusion and Kansas City is going to win. Ma'am, I've got money on Kansas City winning. I've got money on a Kelsey MVP and a two-time touchdown. The problem is we can see through it though, Ice. What the fuck is y'all talking about? You can see it coming. We can see it. We understand it.
Starting point is 01:26:44 We've seen it a lot of times. You want to stick your head in the sand and act like you don't see it or call it out. I know Swifty said that they would have picked SZA over Taylor Swift for this particular album. I really don't want to sound like I'm capable. I just think it's math.
Starting point is 01:27:01 I just think that the demographics are so largely skewed that it's a... Yo, dawg, white girls look at this girl like she's God. It's way more whites than us. Yeah, I don't like that. Man, let me ask y'all this. Let me ask y'all this. I don't like that in a music conversation.
Starting point is 01:27:22 But look, look, the Academy, the Grammys are voting. Yes, there's more whites than blacks. She's their... When I think of scissors, and she the only one to spend like every week this year on Billboard for this album. It's possible. Yeah. Don't just brush over that.
Starting point is 01:27:37 That's not something to just... I'm not. Let me ask y'all a question. I didn't do that at all. The Grammys are voted on by the Academy, which is, like y'all said, anybody that's been nominated on this... I voted. Joe could have voted. I don't know if he did or not.
Starting point is 01:27:48 Of all of them people that voted, you voted for SZA? I did. Do you think it's possible that there's a bunch of them in there that never heard of SZA? No. No. You don't think that's possible? No. Okay.
Starting point is 01:28:00 I don't think that they never heard of her. I think it's your job to know who the fuck she is. That's number one. I don't think that they haven heard of her. I think it's your job to know who the fuck she is. That's number one. I don't think that they haven't heard of her. Well, I heard this album and enough to put this album up. They may not be her.
Starting point is 01:28:12 She may not be their cup of tea. And if we're also saying- You gotta talk about 65, 70 year old white people that may not be- That's what I'm talking about. But they might not know that. That's not all the voters.
Starting point is 01:28:20 I'm not saying. I'm just saying. He said some people. I'm just saying some in there. But if I'm looking at the list of albums, right? Like how we do with the Oscars. We'll be like, I ain't never heard of half of these shits. But those who's who's seen them.
Starting point is 01:28:33 The people that vote for this know who SZA is. Yes, they do. So what's the argument? Is the argument that album of the year is strictly just a business decision and it's a popularity contest and that's it? I don't think it's a popularity contest at all. I think it's always been a business decision. The big awards are business decisions. But then that contradiction point about the Beyonce not winning
Starting point is 01:28:51 album of the year over Beck. I said that she should have won that one. I'm in agreeance that that was an upset and she was wrong on that particular one. And the Adele one if that's the case. Beyonce is business bro. Like be clear she might not be and she may be right on Taylor Swift's heels or equivalent, but Beyonce moves the needle.
Starting point is 01:29:09 More than Bex, sir. More than Adele. I'm there. Outside of music, Beyonce moves the needle everywhere. Yeah. Fashion, movies, whatever the case may be, she's out here, fam. She's a force. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:29:19 So if it's about business, then that contradicts that point. I don't think so. If it's about business and we pushing this person right here as our next one, did they do that? Tell me where Adele's been. Somebody cleans the fuck up? Adele's been cross-branded where? I'm saying if that's what the intention is,
Starting point is 01:29:35 at that time when Adele was nominated and she's clinked up, you can kind of look at the Grammys, you can look at them and be like, oh, yeah, this is their one right here. This is their person this year. So are you going to just conform or are you gonna just what I'm saying are you just gonna conform or you're gonna want change I ain't on the board I can't do nothing about just saying when you speak about it you're just saying like we have to just accept it for what no no no I'm not saying that I'm not no I'm not saying
Starting point is 01:29:57 accept it at all you need people that speak out against it got it and but I'm saying you have to acknowledge it and call it out this is what it is it's not always just a uh yo this person was right no sometimes there is a real reason behind it and behind even if it's right or wrong you're just saying this is what it is i'm saying that this is why it happened i said i agree oh yo yeah she should have got got it but yeah sometimes yo it's been a decision that's not about who had the better album and none of that. There was other reasons at play. Wow, yo, there's money involved here. There's business. Maybe.
Starting point is 01:30:29 Well, I think that some of that should have been communicated to the good folk over at TDE because they did express some disappointment. Like they tweeted a little bullshit. I'm sure. A little emoji. They should be. They should be disappointed.
Starting point is 01:30:44 This was a very successful y'all know where I stood on the album I wasn't the biggest fan but I would be a fool to not acknowledge
Starting point is 01:30:51 how this album was received just because it didn't hit me that way it's a dope album I said it when it dropped I'll say it again
Starting point is 01:30:59 that girl got two classics she do big jersey let me just quickly run through the rest of these points I have here. Who is Lionel Richie's Botox lady? Nigga, I told you, I just finished watching We Are The World. He look the same?
Starting point is 01:31:17 That nigga look way better today. He was sitting right there behind Trevor Noah. What did Trevor Noah say? Lionel wealthy, nigga. He look like that. Yeah. He look like, yeah. And Smokey looked nuts
Starting point is 01:31:26 in that We Are The World. She seen Smokey? Barely recognized him. I was like, oh, that is when the shit came out. That's when the shit
Starting point is 01:31:36 hit the streets. That's where he got my dad to. That was, what year was that? What year was that? Was that 1985? You can't say that while Smokey listen. What year was that? What year was that? Is that 1985? You can't say that while Smokey listens. What year was it?
Starting point is 01:31:48 85. Yeah, nigga. That's when a lot of us lost our dad. No, that's when the whole neighborhood changed. Yeah, you ain't see that Smokey mustache? And that fucking escrow bullshitty ass? I ain't know who that was. Gang banging.
Starting point is 01:32:04 Gang banging. Gang banging. Gang banging. Yeah, Lionel Richie looks great. What the fuck is Travis and his man doing up here? Oh, yeah. Yeah, that was nasty. Hey, you two bozos. Get the fuck off the stage when niggas got beautiful women in tuxedos on.
Starting point is 01:32:19 Honestly. I was disappointed in me. And then you up there smashing shit. You got the nerve. This is after you. You like that, right? Hell no. That's what, that's, y'all, are y'all familiar with Travis Scholes or anything?
Starting point is 01:32:31 It's on Brandon UJ FM? 100% on Brandon. He didn't belong there. Same shit as the Super Bowl. He didn't belong there. All that shit look different when it ain't a thousand little white kids jumping up and down. Exactly. Hey, when there are grown people here,
Starting point is 01:32:47 all that, Fiend! Fiend! Fiend! That's what you wanted to win over Killer Mike? You fucking stupid! Stupid! Fiend! Fiend! I was watching that shit like, Fiend! Fiend! Fiend!
Starting point is 01:33:02 Wait, and then you bring your man out. This is how I knew I was in the fucking Matrix You bring your man out Playboy Cardi The crowd just stares silent Playboy Cardi look confused Like y'all don't know who I am No nigga you got a fucking mask on
Starting point is 01:33:19 Who the fuck are you under there You are not at South by Southwest anymore We can't recognize you bozos By the stocking mask you're wearing Who the fuck are you under there? You are not at South by Southwest anymore. We can't recognize you bozos by the stocking mask you're wearing. Okay. Damn, man. I hate these niggas, man. All of them.
Starting point is 01:33:33 The fuck? Beep. Beep. Beep. Man, I love that song. I love that song, but not when the tuxedos are out. Take that shit to the dirty Coachella grass, nigga. Niggas showered and lathered themselves tonight.
Starting point is 01:33:51 The fuck are you talking about? Tom Ford fragrance, nigga. Meryl Streep. Get that shit out of here. The fuck are you talking about? I've been saying, when it comes to Travis Scott, he's only good at Travis Scott shows. I say this shit all the time.
Starting point is 01:34:07 I love Travis Scott. I love his music. I'm a huge fan. I go to Travis Scott concerts, and it's a different experience. But if you go see Travis Scott, like, if it's a festival, not a festival, but just like a concert, and he's a special guest or something like that. I think it don't hit. Fuck those kids.
Starting point is 01:34:24 It don't hit. Hey yo, Travis, we know you still salty about what Egypt did. Nigga, let it go. Nigga, you couldn't do the pyramids, nigga. Come on and change and go. Can't do that at the Grammys, nigga. Slamming shit. It look crazy.
Starting point is 01:34:35 I didn't even think. Yo, I was watching that shit. I thought it was a video. He start breaking the set. I couldn't believe it. We just had YouTube at the stage. Was he really on stage? Or was it a video?
Starting point is 01:34:48 Who? Travis? I think they played a video. I don't think they had him on stage doing that bullshit. Oh, so you're doing something. No. You're digging deep, man. Scientology. Nah, like, you know, the YouTube shit was at the Sphere. Yeah. The Sphere, excuse me. So the crowd saw it on the screen. I think that's how they did it. I don't think they
Starting point is 01:35:03 made that bullshit here. Listen, that shit still don't make me feel good. That shit is good. I think that's how they did it. I don't think they let them do that bullshit here. Listen, that shit still don't make me feel good. That shit is good. Get this shit out of here, man. It's still better, son. You two perform at the Sphere. Nigga, you supposed to come up and light that shit up? You smashing chairs with some WWE shit? Your man is on the fucking speaker.
Starting point is 01:35:19 Sorry, Joe. He's acting crazy. I'm with you. I'm with you, too. You breaking your whole set when them little kids, them dirty ass kids ain't jumping all around. It just looked like you got the worst migraine. You giving me the worst migraine. That's what you're doing.
Starting point is 01:35:33 It looked like you having a seizure, like, and we have to witness it. God. It just looked out of place. Like, you did not belong here. All right, back to my notes here. Damn, Travis. Oh, you did not belong here. All right, back to my notes here. Oh, God. Damn, Travis. Oh, yeah, Burner Boy.
Starting point is 01:35:49 Burner Boy. Monica killed it, though. I love my- It was Brandy. Brandy. Yo, watch your fucking mouth, though. Brandy, I fixed it. What's wrong with you?
Starting point is 01:35:55 I'm talking to you. You really almost got jumped right in. I don't play about Brandy. Brandy killed it. Pardon me. I don't play about Brandy. Don't do that. I was listening to records.
Starting point is 01:36:03 It's my fault. I love seeing white people when African music comes on. Pardon me. I don't play about Brandy. Don't do that. I was listening to records. My fault. I love seeing white people when African music comes on. I do. Why? They can't catch the beat. They just don't know what is going on.
Starting point is 01:36:16 That nigga Burner Boy came out. He's like, who is that? Hey, the way that you just spoke about SZA, that's how they look when Burner Boy came out. I was like, uh, uh, okay.
Starting point is 01:36:28 He made them get up, though. So they did all this dancing, then Brandi came out. Thank God. Word. I had it on mute until she came. Thank God Brandi came out, because it's like, oh, shit, now they do sitting on top of the world. All right, you in your bag.
Starting point is 01:36:40 But them white people were still looking like zombies. Like, I wanted you to just hit them with the slap. Hit them with that. Shiloh! Yeah, you up there doing the new joints. Fuck that. Whole crowd would have been way legit. Yeah!
Starting point is 01:36:59 Hawks. Nah, he was supposed to. Wait, y'all not fucking with me? Shiloh. But anyway, then 21 Savage comes out and 21. 21. 21. That's my man.
Starting point is 01:37:15 Yeah, I know. That's my man. That's my man. I love him. I love the album. Me too. 21 Savage. Bong, I got you.
Starting point is 01:37:28 You have to find two, at least two things to do on the stage when Verna Boy is getting into his tribal shit and Brandy is up there being a goddess.
Starting point is 01:37:44 You can't stand there just looking like a beef jerky. You have to get a two-step at least. You have to at least smile, act like you like this song. Move your shoulders a little bit or just hit them with the old
Starting point is 01:38:01 screen. Hey, but all of this. He just came home nigga that's my man and of course you're gonna take that call Brandy and fucking Burner boy you getting up there but he was dressed
Starting point is 01:38:17 fly the camera kept he did it but he need a move or two up there all that shit that y'all do at the Drake show where y'all just bring out the big rectangle and walk around. No. No. You have to. Come on.
Starting point is 01:38:35 Come on. Do the walk. Something. Something. Cross your arms. Little b-boy stance. That's my man. Come on.

Starting point is 01:44:10 I don't think. Or Chris Sean. I think all of us is past that age. I agree. Sorry. Oh, shit. I don't want to make it morbid, but I was talking about trends with my parents. Okay.
Starting point is 01:44:25 I was on the phone with my mom, and then my dad called, and I made a mistake and merged the call. That's always a mistake. Anyway, so my dad, at some point in the conversation, said that, is it just him, or is being cremated becoming trendy and popular? And then me and my mom laughed for mad long is being cremated, becoming trendy and popular. And then me and my mom laughed for mad long because that just sounds like a funny sentence,
Starting point is 01:44:52 like trendy to be cremated. But his point was 15 years ago, 20 years ago, he didn't hear all of these people that are deciding to be cremated. So he asked me what I wanted to do. And then I said, I'm not at that. I didn't think that through just yet. I know that you're young and spry,
Starting point is 01:45:14 but anything can happen. I just had the conversation. Tomorrow. All right, you're making it messy. Nah. I'm not. It's fucking real life. I don't think so.
Starting point is 01:45:22 I just don't know where I stand on cremation versus burial yet. A lot of niggas in the hood get cremated because they don't got the money. Nah, I just, I'm doing my will. I'm doing my will. So my girl and I had to come. What I want from you. Anything? You started your will already?
Starting point is 01:45:42 I need five beds. I'm finishing that. You should have a will. I need five beds i'm finishing you should have a will i need five beds you have children and a wife you should have a will you should have a will and life insurance okay i'm sorry i'm just all right thank you i got you it's sad it's sad to say but i don't i didn't accept that i'm gonna die yet oh you don't have to accept it but you got to be realistic when i sit there in the dark in the shower... Who else ain't accept it? Wait, hold on. All them niggas you just said in the hood
Starting point is 01:46:07 that's getting cremated. When I sit there in the dark... You got to get a fish fry. And I try to avoid and control my environment the best way I can, but anything can happen, but I haven't accepted it yet. And that's a problem that I battle within myself. Can I just tell you something? I just wanted to accept it. I locked some trauma. No, no, no, no, no, no. Why you got to do that? See, that's the problem.
Starting point is 01:46:24 What battle you trying to... And that's selfish. Stop doing that, nigga. You little crybaby. When you get headaches, you lock yourself in a fucking room. Fuck you. trauma no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no My mother encouraged me, my wife. If I don't have it, I'm going to look into it. If anything happens to you. It's irresponsible. I'm just saying, it's very. If anything happens to you, the hell you will put your family through when it comes to probate and when it comes to your estate, and then it will be hell on earth for your family. He married. See? He married.
Starting point is 01:46:59 That's the point right there. But no, my girl and I, I'm doing my will. So my girl wants to be'm doing my will so my girl wants to be cremated and it kind of fucked me up like what that was her
Starting point is 01:47:09 me I'm like you I'm sitting on the fence like cemeteries are for the living not for the dead but who gonna take my ashes you know what I mean you ain't gonna be having

Starting point is 01:47:25 Yo, Mel. You know what I mean. My dad said that he was going to let his kids decide, which I laughed at, because, nigga, they not deciding shit. I'm deciding shit. My little brothers can't tell me where the fuck to put my dad. That's not true.
Starting point is 01:47:44 They can't tell... No, I'm telling you. When them little niggas get 30, you ain't going to be deciding, you know. That's not true. They can't tell. I'm telling you. When them little niggas get 30, you ain't gonna be the same. I don't care what age. They can't tell me where to put him. So I told him, I'm gonna put you in a nice little necklace. I'm gonna divvy it up. And then he said something slick.
Starting point is 01:47:59 I said, nigga, I will put you in the garage. By the waist. That's what he got. He got that. I got a necklace, too. Yeah, I'm going to get a necklace. And I'm going to give my little brothers a necklace.
Starting point is 01:48:12 And we'll all just have. I'm scared of the necklace, though. Oh, my God. You think niggas are going to take that from me? Word. You might lose your shit. I'm kind of frivolous when it comes to shit. Oh, no.
Starting point is 01:48:22 Then I'm taking my brother's dad. Yo. This nigga's stupid, Yo. Just yack me, yo. Yacksy. Hey, give me dad, nigga.

You can't make that decision, bro. Yo, when my parents transition, I'm the boss. You can't do that, bro. You're a selfish motherfucker.
Starting point is 01:49:14 I'm going to fuck you up. I'm going to fuck you up for them. I'm going to fuck you up for them. You can't do that. If she wants to be buried next to her mother, you have to honor that, bro. No, you don't.
Starting point is 01:49:21 People try their best. That's foul. I already told her. I told her. You can't go. That's foul. You're not here, my niggas. That's wrong. Are you going to try your best to honor their legacy and honor their request? I told her. And their last wish.

Starting point is 02:02:58 he say, go ahead. I had a Hampton hat on. This thing is a fool. Don't give it to me. I'm trying to. I'm letting him get his little rebuttals off. No, because he don't know't give it to me. I'm trying to. I'm letting him get his little rebuttals off. No, because he don't know.

Starting point is 02:04:24 You know. And I'm proud of you I'm proud of you on the road of cleaning up the whole lineage thing I salute I'm proud of you
Starting point is 02:04:31 of supporting he in there trying to see who went to Hampton in 96 anyway hold up they was in there I'm sure he was looking around
Starting point is 02:04:40 what's the change H-U they was in there you know they was going crazy anyway Ice is lying. I came in late. I hadn't eaten.
Starting point is 02:04:48 Ice and them were sitting down eating. I went and got some food. I didn't even get no candy. This nigga learned from you how to be a potter now. It's cool though.
Starting point is 02:04:55 It's cute. I've seen you outside. Yeah, it was just funny. We don't even have to do this. It was funny because the people I'm with, we all was watching this. Yo, look at this nigga.
Starting point is 02:05:04 He really is like. That's fire though. That's fire. It this. Yo, look at this nigga, yo. He really is like. That's fire, though. That's fire. It is fire. He just won't lean into it. He walk around like he got the first Gordon Gartrell on. He walk around like he take a shit and use that little poop spray. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:05:19 He spray it beforehand. That spray, the odorless. They got odorless shits these guys' asses. So when you come out the bathroom, they impressed. That nigga's shit don't stink, son. What a fucking movie. Nah, but shout out to my guy, Injur.
Starting point is 02:05:35 That shit's a movie. Watch it. That shit's funny. Oh, damn. Let's see here. What do we have? Lil' Meech says gay for pay is gay. He just said.
Starting point is 02:05:47 He was talking about acting. Yeah. He was saying, if you'll take a bag and act like a gay person, then that's gay. Oh, I know who he's directing that to. He told me that shot that was in it. P-Valley. Yeah, Lil' Murder. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:05:58 That was in that video. I mean. The guy that was in the video They was telling me about the guy That he Did a scene with a transgender Okay So I'm not sure I didn't watch it
Starting point is 02:06:13 But I remember that was a topic The other day inside the barbershop I see where he's going with that I don't agree with that The guy in the Money Long video I'm sorry Which man? Cause I think to be gay
Starting point is 02:06:24 You have to have a sexual encounter with the person of the same sex. If you don't do that, I don't think it's gay. If you kiss a man, what is that? Just curious.
Starting point is 02:06:40 And I'm leaving this in 20 seconds because I don't trust any of you. I don't trust any of you. I'm sitting here muting up. I don't want to mute up. I don't trust any of you. I'm sitting here muting up. I don't want to mute up. If you kiss a man, what does that mean? We disagree. On this topic?
Starting point is 02:06:50 What are you saying? I think this. I think that to be gay, you have to have an affinity for the same sex. You have to be attracted to. Yeah. Right? However, if you do not have an affinity for the same sex, then
Starting point is 02:07:07 me, I can't tongue kiss no man on camera for a check. Neither. You're not an actor? No. So it's just a job. I think some people do approach it like a job. If I could pay you and you could come over and act that way, then... Expound. How? that way, then... Expound.
Starting point is 02:07:27 How? You said, then I wanted to hear what your complete thought is. Oh, then I understand somebody with this belief system. I just think some niggas would do anything for a check. True, but I don't, you know.
Starting point is 02:07:41 There's limits to certain people and other people's not limits. You agree with me or you disagree with me? I don't know where I stand on that, but I don't, you know. There's limits to certain people and other people's not limits. You agree with me or you disagree with me? I don't know where I stand on that, but I do understand what he's, I think I understand what he's trying to say. But I've never acted. I agree with you. I couldn't do that if somebody paid me to do it. Yeah, I'm not talking to you, no, man.
Starting point is 02:07:58 Or you just act, you just play around on the podcast. If a girl, if a girl, no, I try to appeal to as many fans as possible. But you, but you, but you disrespect, no, no. That's what I try to do. But you're disrespecting them
Starting point is 02:08:09 because you're playing with something that you're not a part of. You try to do the exact opposite. No, you're disrespecting their culture or their way of life. Their decision
Starting point is 02:08:18 or their way of life because, yeah, if you want to stop me, but it's true. I don't care. That's not true. Yeah,
Starting point is 02:08:22 of course, I got it. If a girl comes over that don't want to fuck and I paid her so she fucks, then the fucks will happen. That's what I'm saying. If he come over, if I could pay you and you can come over and get into whatever act I'm paying you to do, regardless of your sexual preference, then I see that person looking at it like, oh, you gay.
Starting point is 02:08:43 Yeah, but you're not fucking him. No, no, you are. In my scenario. I'm not talking about in the act. Okay, well, I'm leaving it to the movie shit. In the movie shit, you're acting out a role. You're not actually fucking that person. Men and women. You're mimicking it. Yeah, you're mimicking it. A man and a woman, they're not even fucking in the movie.
Starting point is 02:09:00 It's just acting. It's just you're doing your job and then when it's cut, I go back and I'm in character for a few minutes and then I'm out. Mm-hmm. So, I don't care.
Starting point is 02:09:10 Um, free Lisa Ann. Free Lisa Ann. Yeah. Yo, you good, yo? I know that hurt. Nah, they locked up,
Starting point is 02:09:21 you know what I mean? Lisa Ann, the porn star, was arrested at the Matt Rife, uh, the Matt Rife concert in Times Square. Allegedly, she pulled her phone out to record, and they snatched her ass out of there because the Matt Rife ticket is a hot ticket, and there's no phones. Freezing.
Starting point is 02:09:38 She came out screaming, oh my God, help. This is not a bit. This is not an act. That was the funny shit. You know why they did that, right? The time we live in today. No, no, no. This is real. This is not a bit. This is not an act. That was the funny shit. You know why they did that, right? The time we live in today. No, no, no. This is real.
Starting point is 02:09:47 This is real. You better say it. I still thought it was a little fake. Me too. It did look a little fake. I know she be taking that button. I don't hear what you're saying. She had to get the same treatment.
Starting point is 02:09:57 He said she be taking that black meat so she had to get the same treatment. Yo, what's wrong with this rat? I didn't hear what he said. Yeah. I repeated it. I meant it on purpose. Oh, queen snitch. Yo. Yo, what's wrong with this rat? I didn't hear what he said. I meant it on purpose. Queen snitch. Yo, watch your head.
Starting point is 02:10:11 It was just hilarious to see her. I'm sure she didn't find it that way, but it looked like a skit almost. We don't see white women get taken out in cuffs, especially famous ones. Well, especially that famous one, because Lisa Ann could have got out
Starting point is 02:10:26 of that. Yeah, real quick. Hey, if she wanted to be unarrested, I think she could have got it done. So I don't really believe it. Maybe that wasn't a cop bag. What's your name, officer? Google me. All the bags is her bag. I'm saying the cop. This could go away, officer.
Starting point is 02:10:42 If this was Louis Ann, then maybe I'd have let you off Of course back in the Back in the Back in the back seat Yeah Make some things happen All of this I still want to meet Lisa Anne
Starting point is 02:10:51 Me too I do I want to meet Lisa Anne Me too You guys are heathens Yeah Why? If she's still in New York
Starting point is 02:10:58 Maybe she come up and pie with us There you go She lives in New York No Hey you stalking her How do you know where she live? She got pods And sports shows And all her. How do you know where she live? She got pods and sports shows
Starting point is 02:11:07 and all that. Really? How do you know that is? I follow her. She does a fantasy sports show. Wow. You keep it to her.
Starting point is 02:11:15 He's a fan fan. Oh, look, look, look, look, look. That's hate.
Starting point is 02:11:18 Look at Big Mal. That's hate too. Look at Big Mal. I'm not. I'm asking for clarification. I'm not. I didn't know what she was playing.
Starting point is 02:11:23 Look at Mal Hayden. I'm not. I just. Alright, every conversation don't gotta be about you. That's the first thing that came up on Google Images. I'm surprised. I didn't know what she was playing. Look at Malhean. I'm not. I just. Every conversation don't got to be about you. That's the first thing that came up on Google Images. I'm surprised. Word.
Starting point is 02:11:30 Yes, that's her. Now, why did you find the most unattractive picture of Lisa Ann while it's just going crazy over her? That's all I did. Going crazy. I think she's pretty. Who asked you what you thought of Lisa Ann? I'm.
Starting point is 02:11:43 Nobody. Lisa Ann is solidified. Okay. All that shit you said you don't do. One of the best actresses of our lifetime. She do it. God bless her. To death.
Starting point is 02:11:52 God bless her. But we was blessing her before you jumped in and hated. I wasn't hating. I just wanted clarification. I didn't know who she was, so that was her. Okay, cool. She's in a different tab than you use. I believe you.
Starting point is 02:12:04 Or not. No, she is. No, she's in a different tab. She's in a different tab than you use Or not Or not No she is She's in a different tab She getting up and getting that thing right When it's time to leave the door unlocked And a few niggas could come in that room She gonna handle that shit like Thor All the hammers Every last hammer
Starting point is 02:12:24 Vince McMahon should have been texting. Every last hammer. He might have. Vince McMahon. Oh, you think Lisa Ann ain't been down to this WCW convention center somewhere? You think she ain't been to an MMA party or two? Lisa Ann is her. Anyways. Don Dada. These niggas will big up some white queens.
Starting point is 02:12:42 Hey, hold on. These niggas? That's what I do. Okay. I don't big up none of the others, right? It's all right. You got it. Hey, hold on. These niggas? This one. That's what I do? Okay. I don't big up none of the others, right? It's all right. You got it. The others.
Starting point is 02:12:49 What you mean? Every ethnicity. Asshole. I'm chilling. I'm chilling. What's up, Lip? Speaking about wrestling, there's a lot of things going on in wrestling that I wanted to talk about. Oh, okay.
Starting point is 02:13:00 What's up? Yes. Well, you know, right now the wrestling community is mad. You know, the WWE is receiving its biggest backlash because Cody Rhodes was supposed to face Roman Reigns and finish his story. Roman Reigns has been a champion for about four years and they removed Cody Rhodes and put The Rock there. Ever since The Rock became a board member at TKO, he I guess used his power and pull and removed Cody Rose from completing the story and put himself to face his cousin Roman Reigns at WrestleMania.
Starting point is 02:13:32 40. So right now the WWE is receiving its biggest backlash. It's getting a lot of dislikes on YouTube. Everybody's in an uproar. And the reason why the Rock did it... That's the same thing I said. Look at the Rock. At WrestleMania. Ooh. Damn. Look at this rock. WrestleMania.
Starting point is 02:13:47 Sorry. Sorry, Cody. Yeah, yeah, yeah. The reason why. I'm a board member. We just bought this shit for mad billions. Yeah. You have to go.
Starting point is 02:13:55 I got to run it up. Finish your little story in the YouTube shorts. You get SummerSlam. Yeah. The reason why The Rock did it. Take that shit to caffeine, nigga. What the fuck? Take it to caffeine.
Starting point is 02:14:07 Y'all probably Googling who this nigga is. The reason why The Rock did it is because to take all the heat from the Vince McMahon situation. You know, the Vince McMahon... You know, they're trying to erase Vince McMahon. It's a business decision. They're trying to erase Brock Lesnar, too, because, you know, allegedly he was the person named in the lawsuit. But... I'm with erasing Brock Lesnar.
Starting point is 02:14:24 To take the heat off of WWE pertainingpertening events, they put The Rock there. And it's being talked about everywhere. ESPN. Everybody's talking about it. But the fans are just pissed off. They have the Justice for Cody hashtag. We want Cody hashtag. And hopefully, WWE do the right thing.
Starting point is 02:14:42 What's the right thing? To give it to the fans. To let Cody Rhodes complete their story. Yeah, nigga. Hey, I'm with you. This is a business decision. This is a business decision. They booing The Rock's daughter at NXT, son.
Starting point is 02:14:59 That's cool. They wildin', son. That's cool. The Rock haven't faced as much backlash since 2000. He'll be fine. Something tells me Yeah About a couple hundred million
Starting point is 02:15:07 That was the board He been trying to get on And they gave him his name back You could be the Rock Go ahead trademark Make it a little easier You right Sorry sorry Cody
Starting point is 02:15:15 Cody Don't do that Sorry Cody Rose The fuck is Cody Rose Cody Rose is Dusty Rose's son Oh please Please please And Goldust's brother
Starting point is 02:15:23 Oh nah Oh please Cody Rose. He left back in the days and goes, out of here. You should be done retired anyway, nigga. Did you see the nigga face? You had to see the nigga face in the ring when The Rock whispered David shook his hand. That shit
Starting point is 02:15:34 is fucked up. It's business. And I'm a fan of The Rock. Sold hundreds of millions of people out there. Hundreds of millions of dollars are fans of his too. I got you. He keeps them nice and warm.
Starting point is 02:15:47 What's that about when you see the old work? I ain't seen none of my old work in a while. It says when you see the old work. Who thinks she's fine? I know you can't see, girl. Who thinks she's fine, but she's not? Who thinks she's fine, but she's not? Who thinks she's fine, but she's not?
Starting point is 02:16:03 Who wrote it? Come on, snitching yourself. Freeze. Big freeze. What old work you saw, Freeze? I overheard a conversation. There we go. There we go.
Starting point is 02:16:11 I got you. That was good. No, no, it was the truth. I overheard a conversation. You know you've seen some old work that used to be fire. You saw your old work and they had fizzled out. At the HBCU, didn't you? No, none of my old works went to college.
Starting point is 02:16:27 No. No. No. Oh, the conversation we had earlier. Yeah. Oh, yeah. Fam, we've seen. Stop pointing at me. You're a rat bastard.
Starting point is 02:16:39 It's not rat. I'm asking you to expound on what he's saying, stupid nigga. No, you wasn't. You old ass niggas. Sorry. You guys close to 50. Your marbles is getting crossed, nigga. Can somebody just expound, please?
Starting point is 02:16:50 Dog, I saw one of my peoples at the mall the other day, and she used to be fired. The whole, I never, you know what I mean? You never popped? I never popped. Okay. Oh, I tell you. No, I'm not, no.
Starting point is 02:17:03 You know what I mean, man? Yo, you see it, right? You see it. I was sitting there. You make that sound so disgusting. You never popped. Straight face and everything. Man, Canadian. Yo, but now she was fire. Like everybody and their mother was on her. You might have popped. No, he popped.
Starting point is 02:17:30 And I don't acknowledge the 15 that you put between us either. Don't try to make it 16. I don't acknowledge the 15. And no, I didn't pop. No, you didn't pop. But I'm saying, I thought you might have known her. You think I would want to? Back in the day? Absolutely. Oh, not now. No, you didn't pop. But I'm saying, I thought you might have known her. You think I would want to? Back in the day?
Starting point is 02:17:45 Absolutely. Oh, not now. No, not now. That motherfucker's aging like milk. But how do you know that she still, that she didn't know, that she still thought she was fine? The gram. The gram. The gram tells you.
Starting point is 02:18:02 What about her pictures on the gram right now tell you that she thinks she's still there? I hear that dude. I think I get it. They listen to the ball. No, no, no, no. This nigga will lead you right out to death row. Them niggas take half pitches. Them niggas will lead you right out to death row.
Starting point is 02:18:15 But yo. Yo, flip. They'll take pictures like this. Hey. Here it comes. You can't tell the pictures. Yo, you different, bro. This nigga's different.
Starting point is 02:18:27 But anyway. Who be? You know some old work that used to be fire that you might have yearned for, but they ain't never get an opportunity. And now they see you like, hey, Jeff, you like, oh, hey. It's a whole different ballgame now. They be trying to bait you with a date. Oh, man, Friday.
Starting point is 02:18:43 I don't know what I'm doing. Me neither. Me neither. I know what I'm doing. Me neither. I know what I ain't doing. I know what you ain't doing. I ain't about to ever be seen with you again. What did you do to yourself? You totally let yourself go. You just said, fuck a diet. Couldn't afford those, Epic.
Starting point is 02:19:00 Couldn't afford to sit on a table somewhere. Our little Jersey girl, people's weaves to like. No, don't play with me. Bibble? You went out with her one time and was like, what happened to her? Yo, you gonna write my.
Starting point is 02:19:14 You gonna write my. Yeah, you gonna write my shit. You remember everything that I do not remember at all. Yeah. Yo, she was fire at one point. You slept with that girl, right? I did.
Starting point is 02:19:30 I did not. I know. It was good. But you went out with her afterwards? That nigga's playing nasty games. Stop trying to play with my man, sir. Stop trying to make my man look away. He make him look like a serial backdoor, nigga.
Starting point is 02:19:47 No, that's one of the ones that I think I just assumed that it did pop, so I couldn't pop it. I couldn't pop it. Oh, so you decided not to because you felt your man pop? No, her fall off was to the point where she was unpoppable after that point. And it was bad. My jump ball was running right down my mouth. But, no,
Starting point is 02:20:05 I just thought it was funny. We could talk about it as men, but everybody in here tucked their feet. You can only
Starting point is 02:20:10 talk about it as a man when you did what you had to do as a man since y'all split. True, true, true. If you down bad,
Starting point is 02:20:18 then y'all just down bad. Y'all niggas is the backwashed crew. Backwashed. Y'all little salt and pepper looking spicy still. You know what I mean? You still look nice.
Starting point is 02:20:28 You clean up nice. You see him. You give him a little hug. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I'm seeing you. What about the girl that you rejected that later on looked fire, nigga? The opposite. The opposite.
Starting point is 02:20:39 How do you approach that? How do you approach it? Just like the opposite way of the situation earlier. Because you're going to look crazy. Hey, what's up? They remember that. Hey, big head. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 02:20:49 Girl, oh my God, it's been so long. Wow, look at you. Look. Look at you. You know that's disrespectful? Oh, you live right there now? Yo, wait.
Starting point is 02:20:59 Oh, you be going over there too? I'm right there. That's my spot, girl. You know the look at you shit is disrespectful a little bit? No, because she wants you to look good. It looks good, but think about it. Look at you.
Starting point is 02:21:11 Wow. In her mind, she's like, nigga, yeah. She know that she was looking crazy and she know what she look like now though. I'm showing you how you look now. That little, that BBL hit.
Starting point is 02:21:22 Yeah, you got the good doctor. Yeah. You spent the bag. She went to the good one. Yeah, you got the good doctor. Yeah. You spent the bag. She went to the good one. Yeah, you went to the good one. He took your ribs out too? Oh, shit. Where did you go?
Starting point is 02:21:32 Columbia? Yeah, you don't need to be asking all that. Yeah, you can't do that. Yeah. Just acknowledge that. They tell them they look good. They got a figure eight now instead of a zero.
Starting point is 02:21:41 Yeah, now you... You can't ask that. Nah, you just let her know she look good. Hold me no, you... You can't ask that. Nah, you just let her know she look good. Hold me down, man. You can't ask that. I'm not going to really ask. Okay. You would.
Starting point is 02:21:51 You would. Are you crazy? Flip is definitely going to be like, damn. Who did that? Oh, girl, you went to Columbia? Oh, you went... Oh, that's the DR back. Ish.
Starting point is 02:21:59 Ish. Come on, Ish. I'm not going to ask that. That's crazy. Crazy. But I know how somebody can feel offended about how I look at you now. Somebody got offended. Like, wow, look at it.
Starting point is 02:22:08 If you keep repeating it. It's complimentary, my nigga. Yeah. It depends on how long you say it. If you drop 40 pounds right now and somebody say, damn, Flip, wow, look at you. Thank you.
Starting point is 02:22:16 You'll look at it as a compliment. Yeah, but if you keep saying it, nigga, I'm going to be like, all right, nigga, shut the fuck up. I was still Queen Flip before that. I'm going to get mad. Yeah, that's a four. If you drop 40, nigga? Like, nah, I'm going to get mad. You think you dropped 40, nigga?
Starting point is 02:22:26 Like, nah, I'm going to get tight. Mel, how do you think your old work would view you today? Good question. And I'm just asking. I think you look amazing. Thank you. But your old work might feel good. I don't know.
Starting point is 02:22:47 It wasn't an SAT question. You know why? You want to know why? You want to know why? Because there's the answer that I'll give and then there's the answer. Well, that's what he said, but that's probably not what he thinks. What'd he say? What'd he say? What'd he say?
Starting point is 02:22:56 They say... Big T. What they talking about? Big H, Big EY. What the fuck y'all think y'all talking to in here? They say you are you're holding up extremely well
Starting point is 02:23:07 thank you fine wine the whole the whole shit we agree with that thank you thank you I appreciate that
Starting point is 02:23:11 you look better than a lot of young women you know what I'm saying so we can understand what they're saying thank you you might take that offensive
Starting point is 02:23:21 because the ageism I'm sorry I gotta be careful with it. What? Is that? Okay. Teach me. And you look good in the little Lifetime movie.
Starting point is 02:23:30 You look good, girl. Oh, you watched it? You did? Well, it hasn't come out yet, but thank you. I've seen enough. They share the clips. Yeah, the clips is out. But the clip that I saw didn't even have you in it.
Starting point is 02:23:39 I was like, what the hell? That's hate. That's major hate. She fell on the floor when she got shot. The nigga's like, yo, look at your girl. Ah, they posted the clip. And I'm like, y'all stupid motherfuckers
Starting point is 02:23:49 posted the clip wrong. She not even in it. There's a couple of trailers. The one that I saw. See, yeah. I saw the one that they put on. You didn't search for your sister.
Starting point is 02:23:56 X. I did. That's what I'm saying. It's okay. Trust me, when it comes out, we'll talk about it. I know it.
Starting point is 02:24:03 A lot of us are Jersey residents, man. I'm pissed off. And I'm going to ask y'all, how y'all feel about this news about the World Cup coming to Jersey? I thought you guys would be excited about that. It's good for the economy. Yeah. It's just hype. Yo, which brain you want?
Starting point is 02:24:19 And what? Yo, there's going to be some good tourists in here. Yeah, don't. Lil Tijuana going to be on fire tourists in here. Yeah, don't. Little Tijuana is going to be on fire. $40 hills. That is true. For those who don't know, the World Cup, they released the schedule for 2026. And a couple of the group games, but most importantly, the final, will be played at MetLife.
Starting point is 02:24:39 At a medal in Germany. Wow. It's the biggest sport in the world. Yeah. Yeah, I thought that was great news for Jersey. It is. Yeah, until you drive around. Oh, I don't medal in Germany. Wow. It's the biggest sport in the world. Yeah. Yeah, I thought that was great news for Jersey. It is. Yeah, until you drive around. Oh, I don't drive around Jersey.
Starting point is 02:24:50 Some of us do. What? Boy, I ought to. You don't drive around Jersey. You just be chilling in the back of the Maybach or the back of the Lack or the back of the Tahoe. You know? Some of us got to. Chauffeur service is fairly inexpensive,
Starting point is 02:25:06 and you could also enjoy those same luxuries. I got to work harder. No, you don't. No, I do. No, you don't. Not now. I definitely have to work harder. Nah, I'm telling you.
Starting point is 02:25:15 You're out your mind. No, I'm telling you. I'm telling you. It's extremely hard to get to chauffeur service. Work intuition. I'm driving. Work intuition. Work intuition.
Starting point is 02:25:24 Yeah. Well, yeah, you make a good point, though. That little Tijuana is going to be, that area. Word. No speaking.
Starting point is 02:25:32 Congratulations for New Jersey. Congratulations. Yes. How about that before y'all start being racist? No, that's, we wouldn't be racist. I'm moving.
Starting point is 02:25:41 I want to go there, but I don't want to go there. I'm just keeping my comments to myself. Because we know all the people like this is going to be racist you know what
Starting point is 02:25:51 it's crazy Meg goes number one she does round of applause Meg goes number one come on and she signed her deal she got her publishing
Starting point is 02:26:00 and her masters Warner all the good stuff all the good stuff all the good bullet points. All the good stuff. All the good bullet points. She signed a distro this year, man.
Starting point is 02:26:08 You should deal with Warner, yeah. Yeah. Oh, she paid out the ass then probably, right? What you mean? I don't know. I'm saying she's a brand brand.
Starting point is 02:26:16 Yeah. So for me to sell you your shit, she had to come up with something. I don't know about none of that. I'm not even going to speculate and guess or say what I really think on the matter. I'm't know about none of that. I'm not even going to speculate and guess or say
Starting point is 02:26:25 what I really think on the matter. I'm here to congratulate her for the number one on a diss record without a hook. Her plan worked. That's what I'm... That's great for artistry, period. That a song with no hook
Starting point is 02:26:41 where you just firing at niggas and with that long speech and like we was talking about like so for that you to go number one yeah that's big that's big that's big gotta give it to him all right gotta give it to him think it's real personally no because don't y'all say that people could trick and play with the numbers right no i don't think that i think it's real in that sense but i think it was machine play behind it to make that happen. That's what I mean.
Starting point is 02:27:06 So it ain't real. It's real because it happened. Yeah. It's real because it happened. But it's manufactured. Yes. That's the word. It's manufactured.
Starting point is 02:27:14 For sure. But I don't want to diminish it. It's still an accomplishment. Not organic. You got it. Yeah. Okay. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:27:21 Salute to her either way. All right. I'm leaving it alone you do that a lot you step on people's moment a lot fam you take cause y'all tap dance around it
Starting point is 02:27:31 you know what we think you take the highlight that somebody's experiencing y'all know what y'all and you immediately get to stepping on that shit man because
Starting point is 02:27:39 I'm not here to sugar coat this shit we can see through certain shit it's the same fight that Nicky been talking about. The machines and the manufacturer of this. Bro, I saw fucking, I think it was, there's a contest going where you could win some merch and you get a certain amount of entries
Starting point is 02:27:56 by streaming the song here and signing up for the mailing list here. Like, this is all the little tricks of the trade that they disqualify other artists for, but because this one is on our side and in our group,
Starting point is 02:28:09 we allow it to go. It's bullshit. Let me say something to you, Ice, because I got a problem with you real quick. I have a problem with me, man.
Starting point is 02:28:14 You got to extend the grace that we extend you up here, bro, to other people, bro. We extend you the grace by not getting at you because we know you got to extend
Starting point is 02:28:22 that grace to some people. For a nigga that we walk on eggshells around sometimes, you tend to really be unfiltered when it comes to motherfuckers and it's a kind of unfair ice it's kind of unfair because you're better than that she went number one nigga praise her for going number one and let's do that i did that i praised her for going number one flip i said salute to her for going number one but are we up here but i told everybody i'm telling the truth for the first half of the year you did say okay I said that it's not about that it's not about me and you I'm just saying that we you get it you don't
Starting point is 02:28:53 extend grace I extend grace okay how about this how about this okay how about this right I want y'all to do me a favor sure because now that we here I do want to speak on that because I hate that narrative but and I do get where a lot of it comes from because this is conversations that I've had with the people that matter to me. And there's been a lot of, yo, but your facial expression says this, you always look upset. Like I go back to when we had Mona here, don't call me white girl. And remember she looked at me, she's like, yo, why are you so mad? I wasn't mad. But I'm looking at myself, it's just like I do give off that but I
Starting point is 02:29:25 don't be mad you got resting bitch face yeah I was gonna say and that's just another reason why I'm sorry what I want y'all to all do shut the fuck up I'm dead ass I'm dead serious yo shoot don't I'm you know why
Starting point is 02:29:51 let me say something let me say something first let me say something first can I respond to him after this there is a way like you can't get
Starting point is 02:30:00 like if you don't let's say it is a block or something I gotta experience it so don't walk on eggs if you don't, let's say it is a block or something. I got to experience it. So don't walk on eggshells around me. But let me say this. The thing is, everybody's in a point and piece in their role, right?
Starting point is 02:30:14 And because you're in a point and piece, when you get upset, it is visible. You can see it, and it changes the dynamic up here as far as the information. See, me, if I get upset based off of my behavior whatever whatever you can feel it but you you know you're knowledgeable about music you're knowledgeable about certain things so when you go when you in your feelings and you go quiet it's like i mean of course you know number two king tut over here he can carry but you got you know we you got so what way do you get excuse me what way do you get better at that didn't keep keep doing it that's why I'm saying you have to get better you have y'all but now for this if y'all say yo we not gonna approach you we're
Starting point is 02:30:52 gonna walk on eggshells around you we're not gonna shoot at you we knock on nothing then what way do I get better at that on here y'all okay with love I meant it got you carry on pass the ball it's okay here you go it's okay no no I gotta play it pass the fucking ball pass the ball
Starting point is 02:31:10 oh my god god damn pass the fucking ball what else we got what else we got that is of have y'all heard about Lake Lanier
Starting point is 02:31:21 in Georgia of course y'all know the story behind it I do okay some black people slavery type something there was a city y'all heard about Lake Lanier? Of course. Y'all know the story behind it? I do. Okay. Some black people slavery type something. There was a city Oscarville, Georgia
Starting point is 02:31:31 and a false accusation led to like a white basically a black Wall Street situation where they ran in there, rolled everybody out. They built a man-made lake on top of this area. So there's still the roads and everything
Starting point is 02:31:50 at the bottom of the lake, trees, the whole shit. This lake is like a giant tourist attraction down there. But niggas is dying, like a lot. Nah, I've heard about it. I've heard that, yeah. They've been mysteriously like to date it's been over 700 deaths
Starting point is 02:32:07 down there yeah so it's been it's been saying like you know this is the ancestors yeah brother Abdullah grabbing ankles down there coming to get their
Starting point is 02:32:15 yeah coming to get their lick back yo come grab your ass come on down here get a deep swish brother Abdul why do you talk like this
Starting point is 02:32:20 cause he's racist you racist every episode some racist shit just leaks out of him. Did you see this on Instagram? Because I saw like a reel made where it was like a bunch of lakes and also Central Park where they used to be like towns or cities that were, you know, it was black folks and then they were like.
Starting point is 02:32:38 Why both your legs crossed? I'm just saying, y'all good? I just want to make sure this is not not. Yo, what you got? ADHD. I just want to make sure. I'm sorry. It's what you got? ADHD? I just want to make sure. I'm sorry. It's just a straight question.
Starting point is 02:32:46 Joe Leg Cross. My Leg Cross. Parks Leg Cross. Okay. Yeah, you're right. I didn't see that. I was paying attention to y'all. My fault.
Starting point is 02:32:53 But I brought it up because there's a movie out about it now. It's called Lanier. It sounds fire, though. It sounded fire. Jason under that water tearing that stuff.
Starting point is 02:33:04 So, yeah, it's a thriller so they took the story but now we're gonna put a little twist on it and make it a scary you know a scary flick
Starting point is 02:33:12 right oh man you know me and you we love a bad scary absolutely this is right there Parks it's right there
Starting point is 02:33:19 it's bad where's that uh Parn oh I'm out it's bad I love a bad movie
Starting point is 02:33:26 I ain't gonna spoil it but if you have just give it a shot if y'all like bad scary movies this is one of those it ain't a doc I thought it was like
Starting point is 02:33:34 some cause even the tagline based on true events no crocodile come out at the end no crocodile it's negative I got you
Starting point is 02:33:44 but yeah Gator I got you But yeah Gator I got you dog I enjoy watching this one I'ma watch that I figured let me just Let my people know about it Appreciate that
Starting point is 02:33:51 Appreciate that I pass Yeah I don't give a fuck about Fucking Blake Lanier I think the story's dope Nah the real story is Yeah the story's interesting
Starting point is 02:33:59 Well not dope but It's interesting It's an interesting story Choose your words wisely Yeah yeah I cleaned it up. I want no sauce. How do you feel?
Starting point is 02:34:07 They said that, they put me on that the money in battle rap is dried up, they say. Son of a boy. I said that years ago. All the battle rappers attacked me. A couple battle rappers been saying that. They've been getting attacked. I remember. Years ago, I said that.
Starting point is 02:34:20 That what? It's not self-sustaining. There's no money in it. Smack signed that big deal with caffeine, tried to divvy it up right everybody for it everybody backdoored each other everybody's a wild shit and now this would get I don't know about smacking caffeine's dealings but I could look at the cards I could look at the battle rappers I could look at that space and tell ain't no money there well they had an event over the weekend and from what I understand it was three batters that were just no-shows two of the battles didn't even go down and you
Starting point is 02:34:52 know I saw an interview after the event with smack and he was like you could you could see just frustration frustration like you could tell it's so much more he wanted to say like dude was angry but he you know, Smack is a cool ass. He don't really show you, he ain't going to tell you the full, you know, what's going on. But he was just like, yo, they asked him, what do you say to all the people saying the money is slowing up? He's like, yo, the money's gone. All right? That money that y'all was hearing about, it's not happening no more.
Starting point is 02:35:20 It's gone. How do you feel about situations like that? Because back in the days, they were on Smack's ass and URL's ass to pay the battlers, right? And now that he finally landed a deal where he could pay the battlers, the well runs dry. So how do we clean this up?
Starting point is 02:35:35 Right? And I think that he, I think that in their mind they knew that the caffeine deal would go a different way. So that's why they were trying to push the URL app. Yeah. Right? They were trying to push the URL app to sustain the money that caffeine might have given them at the time.
Starting point is 02:35:53 And then now the fans just turn on URL. I don't really know why. I think the battlers started that because what was happening, it was just that they were used to getting their their views and their pays from um youtube they wasn't getting no money now it's not necessarily you moving all the battles to the app which we understand why you're doing it but again they they're not getting the money like that it's only a select few that was getting them big bags everybody wasn't getting it so i just think it was what's the alternative i just disrespect to nobody. I just didn't see how it was self-sustaining
Starting point is 02:36:26 where you could be giving four, five, six guys a certain type of money because the revenue's not coming back to... And that's literally... Not only is it not coming back, none of y'all are helping it come back. That's what I'm saying. None of y'all are helping to get that.
Starting point is 02:36:45 Y'all coming in and actually doing the opposite. Y'all coming in there, you forgot the verse, you bringing 90 people, this nigga stabbed him, this nigga fought him. Now you can't have
Starting point is 02:36:54 these venues anywhere in different cities. Now you adding travel expenses on top of that. Most of you niggas think y'all are worth 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, and $80,000. Y'all are high out your mind. Yall are high that was a one little quick window that was going around i don't know what the fuck
Starting point is 02:37:11 y'all thought y'all was the privilege y'all was the privilege the battle rap scene died uh uh juice and fucking back then 90s late, late 90s. Smack came. Y'all had a fucking reinvention. And that was it. And from what I hear, he tried to share. You get what I'm saying? From what I heard, he tried to share. And so when you start being greedy with a nigga that's trying to share,
Starting point is 02:37:39 you don't know what he doing behind the scenes to get these deals or to ink these deals to try and push your phone. None of y'all went and signed your own fucking deal. I'm not talking about Conceited. I'm not talking about the Wild N' Out crew. I'm not talking about Hollow.
Starting point is 02:37:50 I'm not talking about Goods, the people that went and started businesses outside of this. I'm not talking to y'all. But most of y'all ain't even gonna start a fucking YouTube page.
Starting point is 02:38:00 All y'all did was go begging to Beasley and Smack for money every time. Bad deals, layaway plans. Yo, break me off. Give me a little now, a little bit later. No.
Starting point is 02:38:10 Go build a fucking business and stop begging. Sell a brick. On that, I will say, I'll be in New Orleans March 2nd. UW is back. Shout out to my brother, Ars. He brought his Battle League back. Look, a business. And the first event, we is back. Shout out to my brother, Arce. He brought his battle league back. Look, a business. And the first event, we out there.
Starting point is 02:38:28 Yeah. That's dope. Salute. Yeah. They're going to be mad at this nigga, Joe. Nah, that's the truth, though. They can't be mad at me. I offered to fund the battles that I want to do.
Starting point is 02:38:40 None of them niggas have ever called me. You did. I tried to be a help and of some service. You did offer, yes. To these people. So nah, most of these niggas ain ever called me you did i try to be a help and and of some service you did offer yes to these people so now most of these niggas ain't even sell a t-shirt y'all didn't sell shit you just been on stage rapping words that's 10 of the fight and like you said going up there ill-prepared forgetting this and giving you one round choking here yes everybody not everybody everybody hollow hollow hollow was one of the ones that sold merch give you one round choke in here yeah succumb to your everybody not everybody
Starting point is 02:39:05 hell no hollow hollow hollow is one of the ones that sell merch one of the ones hollow is one of the ones it's bigger than that hollow is one of the ones
Starting point is 02:39:13 to negotiate yes for the ability to sell merch in the venue that's like when they do the festivals and have all that
Starting point is 02:39:21 that's big business so no most people yeah please I don't waste my time with these better rappers. You all right? Please.
Starting point is 02:39:27 Would you still do it? And then most of y'all fell off. And that part. Then most of y'all fell off. So now somebody got to go find a whole new wave, the whole new crop, and make sure they're talented
Starting point is 02:39:39 and now build the business all over again. That's a mess. And then even the ones you want to keep. I want to keep your exclusive. You got a problem with that. Yeah, I love that.
Starting point is 02:39:50 Hey, y'all need me. The ones that have my phone number, y'all know how to reach me. The rest of y'all, hey, good run. Was hot while it lasted. Yeah, pretty much. But yo, I also want to send congratulations. Sexy Red had a baby. Big Sexy's bike. Hey! Big Sexy!
Starting point is 02:40:04 I was happy. Y'all see her little, um. Y'all see her pictures? I didn't. I did. You didn't? Loved them. I did.
Starting point is 02:40:12 I loved them. Absolutely loved them. Fire. Shout out to Sexy Red, man. Congratulations. What was the pictures? She in the hospital bed and just like. Turn it up.
Starting point is 02:40:22 Tooting that thing up. And then lit. Oh, shit. Standing on couches. Huh? In the hospital? Yes. In the hospital bed and just like- Turn it up. Tooting that thing up. And then lick. Oh, shit. Standing on couches. Huh? In the hospital? Yes. In the hospital.
Starting point is 02:40:29 Standing on business. Baby over there in the little incubator thing. Yeah, fuck. Fuck we talking about? She said she ready to get dressed and go out and hit the block. You saw the pig's mail? You saw the pig's mail? I did.
Starting point is 02:40:40 You thinking anything? I've never had a baby, so I would just assume you're kind of tired after you've given birth. So, you know, she seems to have a whole lot more energy than I would. Y'all ain't gonna fucking get me. Fuck y'all. That must have been...
Starting point is 02:40:58 That was a good one. See, diplomacy. This ain't Lifetime over here, my man. This is Def Raul. All that shit you're doing. And speaking of sexy red. Now pause. I'm not going to do that second one.
Starting point is 02:41:15 Yo, I wanted to say round of applause. I came in here or I tweeted not too long ago. If Nick Stephon Marbury is better than Nick Jalen Brunson. A lot of people hit me and said, absolutely not. Jalen Brunson is him. Nick Jalen Brunson, not career. And Jalen Brunson has been selected to the All-Star team. He deserves it.
Starting point is 02:41:48 Shout-out to the Knicks. Shout-out to Leon Rose. Julius Randle was selected as well. I just think that's a really big deal for Jalen Rose, who many people said was overpaid when the Knicks first signed that contract. Jalen Brunson. What am I saying? You said Rose.
Starting point is 02:42:03 Jalen Rose. Well, you know the Knicks, too. Yeah, they said that Jalen Brunson was overpaid when we first got that contract. Jalen Brunson. What am I saying? You said Rose. Jalen Rose. Well, you're going to the Knicks too. Yeah, they said that Jalen Brunson was overpaid when we first got that contract. They said he didn't show enough in Dallas. Y'all said a whole bunch of shit. And he has been. Going crazy.
Starting point is 02:42:16 He might be the best Knicks point guard I have ever seen. I'm not talking about Earl Frazier and back then. He is going absolutely crazy. He's got like the most 40 point games this season. He's shooting ridiculous percentages. I'm just happy for him. I'm happy for him. I'm happy for the Knicks. A few more pieces
Starting point is 02:42:35 and that should be good. Now. You seen the shit with his dad? What happened with his dad? The workout video going on. Oh yeah, of course. That's fine. That's fine. You said a few more pieces. Well, I saw Bron had the Nick Tower wrapped around him. And that's what I want to talk about. That could be the missing piece right there.
Starting point is 02:42:52 Ah. Your pop. Listen, I've never had a baby. I assume that you'll be tired after pregnancy. Congrats. Yo, so Clutch Sports and the Knicks brass pieced up their longstanding feud last week. This is a big deal if you're a Knicks fan and you know Clutch represents all of the best and hottest players. And they were icing out the knicks
Starting point is 02:43:25 from fucking with any of them for over a decade really yes it's been bad it's been bad so they pieced it up finally conveniently while the knicks are good they pieced it up right before that laker nick game then the laker nick game happens there's a whole lot of talk about LeBron to the Knicks that I thought all of it was bullshit until the end of that Knick game that they won because they doubled Jalen Brunson the whole fourth quarter. LeBron puts on the Knick towel,
Starting point is 02:43:56 covers the Lakers uniform with the Knicks towel. Throw a little shade. LeBron knows exactly what he's doing. I hate that the Knicks towel. Throw a little shade. LeBron knows exactly what he's doing. I hate that the Knicks are always used as the pawn team in a negotiation tactic. I don't know that LeBron is interested in the Knicks, but I think that's some bullshit that he pieced it up and in the same week is wearing the Knicks towel to get Genie busted
Starting point is 02:44:22 to cut him a different type of check. I don't like it. I don't like it. And I don't want LeBron on the Knick towel to get Genie busted to cut him a different type of check. I don't like it. I don't like it. And I don't want LeBron on the Knicks. You think it's about a check? I think that... Negotiation. I think since he tweeted that little hourglass
Starting point is 02:44:36 that nobody still has said what it means... Time is ticking. Yeah, I take it to mean, when we used to pull that out in Monopoly, time is running, nigga. That's what that means. So when we used to pull that out in Monopoly, time is running, nigga. That's what that means. So he's talking to somebody at the Lakers saying, stop playing with me. But you know what he does every midseason?
Starting point is 02:44:54 LeBron goes and makes you go get free agents to build the team that I want to put around me to be competitive. So I think that's just another one of his tricks. They showing him in the huddle just disregarding whatever Darvin Ham play he talking about. They showing him just very disinterested. That could be the Tom thing too. Like yo it's time to get this
Starting point is 02:45:13 nigga out of here. Maybe. But just don't use the Knicks. Just don't use the Knicks. We have suffered enough yo. I'm gonna ask a question cause you know I don't know shit but like why wouldn't you want him on the next? Because of what he will cost you at this age and the attention that the attention that's going to come with him at this age. I just think the Knicks have gotten better by identifying players that fit their brand that they want to play like dogs.
Starting point is 02:45:42 Like I think Tom Thibodeau and Leon Rhodes and everybody back there, they got a good groove. So to blow that up now, you've been mad patient for the last 10 years. You got all of the draft picks, you got fucking players that are producing that are all-stars now. Don't take the old Nick route of
Starting point is 02:45:59 throw all the money at the world, at the best player in the world, and hope that it sticks. I understand. Towards the end of his career. Towards the end of his career. That makes perfect sense. It's just a game of chemistry. Yeah, no, I get it.
Starting point is 02:46:10 I understand. I get that. You can have quality people, but they just don't gel in their own bonds, so they're not going to produce. Yeah, LeBron is a lot. He's a lot. He's a diva, and rightfully so. Keep that shit in Hollywood. Dead ass.
Starting point is 02:46:24 What else? I want to talk about Turkey Leg Hut, but we'll do that on Patreon. We'll do that on Patreon. I do have a part of the show for you guys. This should be rather quick.
Starting point is 02:46:34 Okay. This says, this is from, who is this from? Who the hell are you? I fucked some shit up. Anonymous, anonymous. Tavian Jones.
Starting point is 02:46:49 All right. After watching the Grammys, after watching the Grammys, if, this is a typo, if, oh, after watching the Grammys, if you're yay, would you want some form of apology whether private or public because he jumped out the window for beyonce and now the same air quotes thing that
Starting point is 02:47:12 both yay and hove are speaking to still exist and has crossed over to scissor slash summer walker worlds as well no i see that take running around while i do think that kanye west was absolutely right in what he was saying the execution not so much no i think that kanye west usually is right in what he's saying but his execution his emotion his delivery all of those things be so wrong that that's what we all pay attention to and then we kick his back in because he's crazy it's an old white people trick black people have adopted it to do it against our own but in terms of the original point he was spot on with that i don't think he should have did that when he did it i don't think he should have stepped on taylor's moment because any black
Starting point is 02:48:00 people that are mad about how big taylor swift has become kanye west is a part of that story and she didn't ask for that. There's a lot of shit in Taylor Swift's story that she didn't ask for and it just so happened to come. So, no. I think he was totally wrong in what he did. But I think he was right in what he was saying.
Starting point is 02:48:17 What say you guys? Yeah, I kind of agree with you. Him doing that to Taylor Swift, one could argue, victimized, propelled her even up high. It did. It kind of...
Starting point is 02:48:29 It did. It did at the time. At the time, everybody did not know who this white girl was. Yeah. So it's like, again,
Starting point is 02:48:39 same thing you said, bro. It's right idea, wrong execution. And the other part of that because there's remnants of what Nicky been saying too in the whole shit, but part of why that whole shit is so great is because you got to get there to get there.
Starting point is 02:48:54 You have to get there to get there. We could all be living room tweeters, quarterbacks, Instagrammers. We could all say, and we would be right, but the work that comes along the journey to say it in the room to the people that need to hear it, yeah. It's message, messenger, and timing all at the same time. Right.
Starting point is 02:49:15 You know, because sometimes it could be the right person saying the right shit and it's just bad timing or wrong messenger, right message, et cetera, et cetera. All right. We have, et cetera. Alright. We got sleepers. If we bled you with Grammy talk, sorry. Fuck you.
Starting point is 02:49:36 Listen, once or twice a year we turn back into a music podcast. It was going to happen after the Grammys. There was a lot to get to. I don't care. What do I have? Oh, big, big Azeon. We are going with, this is Azeon.
