Starting point is 00:22:46 Don't cowboy me to death. It's the small shit that he did. Don't say Dak again on this broadcast. This has nothing to do with Dak. We are covering the Super Bowl. Nah, stupid ass nigga. Yo, oh man. I thought the first half was incredibly boring.
Starting point is 00:23:01 I was coaching the whole time. I was on the spades table just keeping my championship intact. If anybody out there was wondering, I'm still a man on the spades table, and all these niggas are still afraid of me. Who were you playing? Whole first half, Aaron, Keith, a couple good men. Couple good men. My foot in their ass the whole first half.
Starting point is 00:23:26 Cool. And I guess let's talk about Usher first. Amazing. Before we get to the second half of the game. Okay. All right, let's do it in order. Let's do it, yeah. An eight out of ten for me.
Starting point is 00:23:41 Okay. Like, he got so many hits that he couldn't really jump into the songs you know what i'm saying they were they were going a little too crazy with the merges yeah yeah he ticked me off i like that shit boy did he tick me off with that shit that shit was fire i like that because we know he got so many records i don't want you spending too much time here because now you can't even touch a piece of that record true that's why I was like, he ran through that medley kind of perfectly, if you ask me. Even coming out the my way,
Starting point is 00:24:09 just the beat, and then jumping right into Caught Up. Yeah, so me and you are both right-ish on what song he comes out to first. I picked my way, you picked Caught Up. I did think that Caught Up was perfect. I thought that was perfect.
Starting point is 00:24:25 I thought Usher did good. Usher was great. I feel like I need to kind of shut up for this because I went to see him in Vegas. Okay. So my view, I've seen this. The comparison is going to be skewed. Yeah, this was the Vegas show chopped down into like popcorn chicken. Super compressed to 10 minutes.
Starting point is 00:24:44 Like really compressed. I like how Jermaine Dupri and them arranged the music, but some of the songs that I felt should have been longer were short, and some of the songs that were long, short should have been, you know what I'm talking about. Like Superstar, I think he did dirty. Superstar, he did dirty to cut that off right there. At least let the next two
Starting point is 00:25:05 bars fly mmm cool nice and slow that was flagrant what he did it's a nice seven o'clock in my drop on the dot I'm in my drop top cruising the streets silence into I think that you should. I'm like that we heard that much of Burn. Burn has to be played. Right. And what's the other one? Fuck.
Starting point is 00:25:35 All of them. No, the other slow one. Loving This Club? You got it bad. Oh, yeah. You got it bad. I like the amount. That had to be.
Starting point is 00:25:43 He had to do it. You got to get him in there. I just can't believe that he did that to Nice and Slow and Superstar. And if I have to make a trade, then I'm fucking going out there and doing the Apollo Sandman to Will.i.am. Get him out of there. Way too much Will.i.am for me. Get your fucking ass. That's my man.
Starting point is 00:26:02 That might be his. Him in that helmet. No, listen. Listen, let me. I'm just telling you my thought process at the time. Because I do understand him trying to segue, oh my God, into. Turn down. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:26:15 Turn down for what? Into, yeah. Into, into. Doom, doom, doom, doom. Doom, doom, doom, doom. That whole Atlanta shit he did, he had to make it make sense. So you have to have Will.i.am out there
Starting point is 00:26:27 Will.i.am-ing I guess yeah but I didn't need that much it was a lot that I didn't need they've talked about that at the Super Bowl
Starting point is 00:26:33 before though who didn't they do it when Will.i.am did it back in whatever year that was probably I think they did it
Starting point is 00:26:41 they may have I'm not sure though I don't remember that I appreciated the fact that he brought all of the ATL dudes out he didn't have to do that he did that I like the Alicia Keys shit even the Will.I.Am shit like yo me getting to where I am
Starting point is 00:26:54 y'all helped me let me put y'all up there that was fly to me and I brought ATL to the world I like that I muted the TV I muted the TV enough enough Atlanta pride Oh my god, I muted the TV. I muted the TV. Enough. What are you talking about?
Starting point is 00:27:06 Enough Atlanta pride. I love the big band on the stage. I took the world to the A. I took the world to the A. He put the whole Universal Circus out. I like that band. I like the fraternities. Who was the frat?
Starting point is 00:27:22 Look at y'all. The two educated, well-read people. That's not my shit. I ain was the frat? I don't know. Look at y'all. You're supposed to know that. That's your shit. Look at y'all, the two educated, well-read people. That's not my shit. I ain't no frat, nigga. But anyway, I appreciate the marching band,
Starting point is 00:27:33 all of that shit because all of that shit is kind of representative of the A2. She shoot at the show. I'm not. I figured he would know. I figured he would know. Because of Hampton U? Well, I mean, fraternities. You went to college. You know something about that. I didn he would know. Because of Hampton U?
Starting point is 00:27:45 Well, I mean, fraternities. You went to college. You know something about that. I didn't go to college here. I'm not beefing with you today, Mel. You got it. You're going to get it, Mel. I thought there was, I was looking forward to a little bit more of a roller skating performance.
Starting point is 00:28:01 Because that's what he's really, really, really, like he's exceptional at. And I thought that the costuming was really, really, really, like he's exceptional at and I thought that the costuming was dope. Oh, the roll bounce portion. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Again, yo. See, again, I saw that in Vegas.
Starting point is 00:28:13 Tom. Yeah. So I'm trying to give you some of everything. I done changed outfits a couple times. Bucks times. I gotta do as much as I can
Starting point is 00:28:21 in this short amount of time. No, I'm... You're not gonna please everybody. I'm... You're not going to please everybody. I'm giving... That shit was fire, dude. And incorporate all of my people that helped me get to where I am today. I got to get them they segment. I think my boo, that little piece was too long.
Starting point is 00:28:35 That's what I was about to say is I feel like my boo is way too long. It compromised like half... And he only did 13 minutes. He fought for the 15 minutes, but then he only did 13 minutes. And I feel like my boo took up so much of it. Like, shout out to Alicia Keys. She looked fucking incredible. Like, her body was bodying.
Starting point is 00:28:52 I love the outfit. The piano was gorgeous. Like, the whole presentation was dope. But too much time on my boo. You know what I mean? Y'all heard that note when she first came out? Everybody heard it. But they went back and fixed it.
Starting point is 00:29:04 Yeah, they fixed it. I went and watched the shit yesterday they went back and fixed it. Yeah, they fixed it. I went and watched the shit yesterday. They fixed it, yeah. Yeah, I watched it yesterday. I said, wait a minute. Something off. Oh, what? They gave...
Starting point is 00:29:13 Get the stems in. Hey, man. Not coming to the studio to redo that note. But no, no, no. It was dope, though. Yeah, I'm giving it like eight and a half
Starting point is 00:29:23 out of ten. I really enjoyed it. I liked it. And for everybody in the room, like I was in a though. Yeah, I'm giving it like eight and a half out of ten. I really enjoyed it. I liked it. And for everybody in the room, like I was in a room full of, you know, Gen Xers and Millennials and stuff like that. It was like nostalgic, you know? You're hanging out with the kids? Huh? What?
Starting point is 00:29:37 Millennials? Millennials are like 40. Millennials are us. What are you talking about? Well, no, you. No, seriously. We're Millennials. We're Millennials.
Starting point is 00:29:44 We're Gen X. I'm thinking you're saying Gen Z. No. Gen Z is the kid. Oh, but no. There's a room full of kids as well. Yeah. Really?
Starting point is 00:29:51 There's families. Oh, got it, got it. Shit was fly, man. I thought it was fly. I watched him on the stage. It turns to 7 o'clock. I thought that was ill. Yeah, that was fly.
Starting point is 00:29:59 That was hard. I like the transition. And they had the little tribute question. I forgot who it was. What was Usher doing at 7? We gave Usher a pause pass for sliding under Will.i.am legs, you know what I'm saying,
Starting point is 00:30:09 because the performance was so good. But if it was bad, we would have to hold him accountable for that. Other than that, you know what I'm saying, I thought it was great, man.
Starting point is 00:30:16 He put that shit together. He looked amazing. And I do agree as far as the Mahbub being too long, and it made us focus on his, not him not having dance etiquette, but I'll talk about that later, but it was fire.
Starting point is 00:30:28 That nigga had no boundaries. I liked that he was singing. Yeah. I got to give him points for actually singing. It was nice to hear some humanity in the vocals. Yes, yes. I love her coming out with... Yes.
Starting point is 00:30:39 You ain't come in here and talk about her. I mean, I'm trying to pet shit, cheer the ball. I have mad things to say. Her smoked it, yo. She did amazing. I got a little crush on her, yo. I ain't going to hold you.
Starting point is 00:30:50 She's beautiful. Even though she ain't really played a guitar. Nah, it's fine. It was fire, though. It was still fire. It was definitely fire. Definitely fire. She might have played the guitar at some point.
Starting point is 00:30:58 She played it, but that, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yo, don't fuck up my experience. How you doing, Marks? Yeah, don't fuck up my experience. Y'all niggas is, y'all got to fuck up my experience How you doing Mark Yeah don't fuck up my Don't fuck it up Y'all niggas is Y'all gotta fuck up a wet dream She can play But for performance
Starting point is 00:31:09 She played it But apparently There's a law Or something Against that Yeah So where she couldn't play it live Really
Starting point is 00:31:17 Just watch it back Just look So they stopped her with Prince Only Prince was able to play She live I don't know Yeah I don't even know If that was the case
Starting point is 00:31:23 I know that she wasn't live but it didn't matter but we know she smokes it she smoked it she looked amazing I really like that Alicia Keys piano and dress
Starting point is 00:31:32 that piano was fire that red piano was different that was fire that was different it was amazing skin was glowing
Starting point is 00:31:41 she looked nice she looked amazing I appreciated all of that I love all the memes from Usher feeling up on Alicia I like the memes
Starting point is 00:31:50 I'm not gonna join in on this because Swiss is a good man and that's somebody's wife that's somebody's wife also Swiss is in entertainment as are the two of them
Starting point is 00:31:58 yeah the gig is the gig he said something showmanship he said something stage presence that's just what it is like my mom's caught me. She was like,
Starting point is 00:32:06 did you watch Super Bowl? I'm like, yeah. How was the halftime? I said, I thought she missed it. I'm like, you can go watch it. It's replayable. No, I just want to know, do you think that was inappropriate of the way Usher was on Alicia Keys? I'm like, no. So we had a discussion and I'm like, bro, they are entertainers. They're
Starting point is 00:32:22 professionals. To me, that's no different than an actor and an actress kissing somebody in a movie yeah yeah man usher gonna take somebody damn girl come on ain't gonna be a show and they got a 25 year history though you know what i'm saying like they peoples dodos up there talking about something uh see that's that's the same thing kiki palmer didn't y'all was mad at her. No, no. No, no, no, no, no, no. Slow it down.
Starting point is 00:32:49 Slow it down. That's not true. Kiki Palmer was a patron. She was not part of the show. She was a little thirsty that day. Kiki Palmer had her cheeks out. I'm not going to get into that part. She did. They was out. They was out. They'm not going to get into that part. She did. They was out.
Starting point is 00:33:05 They was out. They were. We saw them. We saw them. Okay. Okay. It's a little different. Look at Mel about to explode. Short circuit over here. What else? What else? Well, what do y'all think about that? Well, we don't care about that. About the hug.
Starting point is 00:33:21 Boy, the memes is funny. The memes were funny. I mean, I don't know what's funny. Those are the JD memes because those were was funny the memes were funny I mean I don't know what's funny those are the JD memes cause those were pretty funny as well the socks the socks
Starting point is 00:33:30 I like that little sock that fit was egregious those socks were nice right I did like that sock but boy it was a pet peeve of mine when he showed the sock
Starting point is 00:33:38 it's a pet peeve of mine for the little corner thing of the sock like the heel to not be on the heel yeah that's come on JD they gonna rush come on JD for the little corner thing of the sock. Like the heel? To not be on the heel. Yeah. That's,
Starting point is 00:33:46 come on, JD. That nigga rushes to the picture. Come on, JD. When you got to fold the little heel up because the sock ain't the right height that you want.
Starting point is 00:33:53 That nigga wear a size six. That nigga what you want? But at least fix the heel, nigga. Pull it down a little bit. You can't believe that. The tuck shorts were. He had to run.
Starting point is 00:34:00 He was on some COE shit. Let me just take this shit. The tuck shorts were, they look crazy, bro. Hey, yo, y'all niggas up here capin', yo. Who's capin'? I tell you it was crazy. JD is JD.
Starting point is 00:34:09 He's solidified. He's a GOAT. He's amazing. That outfit was crazy. Crazy. They said they thought that was CeeLo. That nigga had on tuxedo shorts. I thought it was CeeLo too.
Starting point is 00:34:18 Everyone in the room thought it was CeeLo in my place. I didn't. I didn't know it was him. I was like, ooh, a CeeLo confession. I thought it was CeeLo Keep it with the Atlanta theme
Starting point is 00:34:27 My nigga That nigga had on Some tuxedo shorts And bobby socks Y'all niggas say What the fuck y'all want That shit was Louis Vuitton
Starting point is 00:34:33 I wouldn't care Who made him Louis Vuitton Them shits was crazy That's the problem Y'all niggas get the pass Just because who made it That shit still look
Starting point is 00:34:42 Fucked up The socks was cool But those were worse If I see you Come in here with them socks He's going to He's probably got the past just because who made it. That shit still look fucked up. The socks was cool, but those come in here with them socks. He's probably got them on order already. I don't, but those socks are fire. Yeah, I like them. Those socks are absolutely fire. Would those same socks
Starting point is 00:34:56 be fire if they was in Walmart? Yeah. Yeah, I'd get them. Depending on the quality of the socks. I like you wearing the socks. I would love to wear those socks. I like you wearing the socks. Huh? Mel, you could maybe wear the socks. I would love to wear those socks.
Starting point is 00:35:09 You could get that socks off. Yeah. If you come here with the socks. With a pair of Mary Janes, yeah. We might be having a fair one on the balcony. There's going to be a whole bunch of rich niggas running around in socks. Of course there are. I don't care. That don't set the standard because they rich niggas.
Starting point is 00:35:21 Okay, I'm just saying I like the sock. We don't have to fight over it. I like the sock. That nigga's trying to force niggas into believing what y'all believe'm just saying I like the sock. We don't have to fight over it. I like the sock. That nigga be trying to force niggas into believing what y'all believe. Yeah, I like the sock. Not at all. Socks is nice.
Starting point is 00:35:28 I'm not saying I would wear the sock. He just did it bad. I'm just not mad at the sock. Have you ever seen one nigga wear something, and another nigga wear it, but they wear it different? He just did it bad. Or have you seen one nigga wear something, and then it's like, yo, that shit look crazy.
Starting point is 00:35:40 Then you say, yo, but such and such made it. Oh, now it's fine. Yeah, that's true. That's true. That's true. What's the little boy name from the Addams Family? I don't know, nigga. I don't know. I know Wednesday.
Starting point is 00:35:51 That's it. That's the extent of my Addams Day. Wednesday, you know, Lurch. Morticia. But anyway. Pugsley. Pugs. That nigga look like Pugsley, bro.
Starting point is 00:36:02 Stop. Leave that nigga alone. Tuck shorts. Come on, my dude is Pugly, not Uncle Fett. Somebody said he looked like Baby Boss. Oh, shit. Y'all niggas playing around. Stop. Nah, JD.
Starting point is 00:36:13 Nigga, we having fun, bro. Y'all crazy. Y'all crazy. Stop it, man. Stop it, bro. I don't want to tell the truth. Y'all niggas get fried up. Y'all want to critique anyone else in socks?
Starting point is 00:36:21 Come on. We Joan Griffiths in this thing? No. No. No. No. No. No. No. The socks gay Come on. We've Joan Griffiths in this thing? The socks gay part two. They went crazy on them socks. They got issues with socks up here, huh?
Starting point is 00:36:33 These motherfuckers. You know he's a sock aficionado. He is. Oh, he's a feet guy. Yeah. That too. He's a foot guy. Y'all niggas is crazy, bro. Yo, all them jokes about the nigga that they tossed in the air.
Starting point is 00:36:44 Like, they tossed that nigga high in the in there and we didn't see him come down He came down No, no, no, you all over the place In the beginning I Don't think it was the beginning It was the Lil Jon They had a whole Cirque du Soleil It was like a nod
Starting point is 00:37:08 To his Vegas residency So they had a lot of Cirque du Soleil And the fact that it's Vegas But they threw a nigga In the beginning Joe and Black That nigga disappeared
Starting point is 00:37:15 I ain't see that part It was right in the beginning Okay Yeah I was about to be Talking about the beginning Okay you guys If you didn't see it Shut the fuck up
Starting point is 00:37:23 How about that We don't have time for this. You talking about a segment that I ain't know what y'all was talking about. Okay. Yo, that nigga's nuts. The nigga that they threw up
Starting point is 00:37:34 in the air that died. Yo. And the girl that fell off of the pole. That was funny. At first, I thought she was doing that shit on purpose. Like, I've seen...
Starting point is 00:37:43 No, because there was somebody in the back that also fell. It was doing like the drop. She didn't do it right. No, her fell. Her shit on purpose. Like I've seen. No, because there was somebody in the back that also fell. It was doing like the drop. She didn't do it right. No, her fell. Her wall was wrong. But I watched back once I saw people talking about it.
Starting point is 00:37:50 Oh, no, she slipped. She did something wrong. Yeah, she slipped. Or she got caught or something. I don't know what it was. It wasn't smooth. I like seeing these mistakes in the show. Usher tripped on the skates.
Starting point is 00:37:59 But he caught it. Yeah. Like, you know, professionalism. I'm a skater. Yeah. All them fucking skates. Oh, boy, they ticked me off. The skates ticked you off?
Starting point is 00:38:10 I like the skates. It's love. It's just a skater. It was probably the highlight of the performance. Where was this? His glove, his other, his hand,
Starting point is 00:38:17 the shit was supposed to light up. You could tell because he was doing this and it wasn't working. Played through it. I like to see that. Like, how you work, you had the MJ glove on?
Starting point is 00:38:24 Nah, it was like some, it was like a, it was like some type of skater pad on both hands he had. And they're supposed to light up. Whoever styled him went crazy. They smoked. That black and blue shit was fire. That black and blue shit was crazy. I thought that white shit and the sparkling shit, all of that shit was fly.
Starting point is 00:38:42 The white shit was all right, too. He just looked good. Yeah, he did. He looked great. He looked good to me.. The white shit was alright, too. He just looked good. Yeah, he did. He looked good to me. Like he don't fucking age, bro. And I'm with Parks. To see somebody up there singing, like really singing and really dancing that entire set. While I was
Starting point is 00:38:57 watching it, I was kind of upset about the TV tracks, I'll be honest. I thought they were a little too bare. I like that, though. I like that. That showed that he was actually performing the shit and it wasn't what's the tv tracks like a background track where they leave in some vocals oh yeah but see in vegas i know ian was talking he was in brooklyn chop house watching it i know all across the black living rooms you were singing and on the old Super Bowls you could kind of hear the crowd participation but now with this Apple
Starting point is 00:39:30 shit you can't so a little bit of TV track like I'd like to on you don't have to go meanwhile give me a little just low yeah rather than him moving the mic but when I watched it again, really appreciate it. I mean, I feel like a hypocrite. Sometimes we say, hey,
Starting point is 00:39:49 too much on the TV track and you niggas are just rapping along with music. Where's the artistry? And then we get artistry and say, hey,
Starting point is 00:39:57 turn up the TV track. So I really did appreciate his just musicianship. One of the other things that I appreciated was when he first started, he was on the grass. I hate that. No, but we see these niggas dance on the stage
Starting point is 00:40:13 where like your feet could slide a little bit. He was actually having to dance on grass. This is really close up. Like the camera work was really close up in comparison to say Rihanna last year where it was like, it was such a it was such a huge massive mega scale performance that they had like aerial view to capture the entire thing this felt so much more up close and personal like the camera was just walking around the whole
Starting point is 00:40:36 time I mean but yeah but you had in order in order to catch the scale of her performance and the scale of the set it had to be like extremely wide you know this was like really up close and personal so you felt like you were kind of like there I didn't like the grass I like that shit and it sound like his mic kept fucking up when he was on the grass part no I think he was just moving too much
Starting point is 00:40:57 and the microphone was you know it's on his head so it actually physically moving it's kind of like going like this again I saw the Vegas show so when they come out on the grass in the Vegas themed like outfits and again with the roller skating like so I just am looking at this comparing it to yeah I get the Vegas show also if you tell me that Apple Music pays to NFL 50 million dollars or whoever the money goes if you tell me none of the entertainment entertainers ever get paid
Starting point is 00:41:26 and you got 600 dollars and you send 15 million dollars to Roc Nation or whoever organizes this thing
Starting point is 00:41:33 for budget for all in I want to see it and that is my complaint ever since Apple took over with the Super Bowl shows I did not love
Starting point is 00:41:43 the Dr. Dre production. I'm not talking about the artists. Okay. That set. But they said they had to come out of pocket with like seven mil. Some of the artists. They said Dre had to come out of pocket.
Starting point is 00:41:55 And who was after Dre? Rihanna. They said they had to come out of pocket because the $15 million wasn't enough. That Rihanna shit looked expensive. I don't know what you're talking about. They said the Dre and them shit, they had to physically come out of pocket. The artists had to come out of pocket because the $15 million wasn't enough. That Rihanna shit looked expensive. I don't know what you're talking about. The Dwayne and them shit, they had to physically
Starting point is 00:42:06 come out of pocket. The artists had to come out of pocket to give the vision that they wanted to convey. That one don't look like it should have cost an extra. Yeah, that was very...
Starting point is 00:42:16 The Rihanna shit wasn't elaborate. It was. But the Usher shit, I don't want to... I hate to see our greats just on the grass and I like to let it burn circle. But, I just want to see our greats just on the grass and I like to let it burn circle
Starting point is 00:42:26 but I just want to see more. Listen Prince raised the bar for me dog. It was purple rain it was purple rain if you're not going to get the elements involved then I'm going to feel cheated I see some of y'all running around here this is the best Usher performance ever
Starting point is 00:42:42 Imani I see you tweeting this bullshit yeah I saw a lot of that shit. Y'all have to stop. Y'all have to stop. I understand. I love them too. This is not the best Super Bowl performance ever. Oh, no. This is not the
Starting point is 00:42:57 second best, third best. It's probably top seven. I've been hearing a lot of top five, top three, and top one. Yeah, I saw a lot of top five, top three, and top one. I saw a lot of top one and top two, and I was just like, y'all are crazy. Yeah. But that's what happens. You know, you're caught in a moment. Recency bias.
Starting point is 00:43:15 It was very good. It was good. It was that. Do y'all think that Wayne is going to be able to perform next year in New Orleans? Uh, I mean, I would like to see it.
Starting point is 00:43:29 The hip hop. And he wants to see that, but I don't know that like mainstream Superbowl media, if it makes sense, he's a mainstream darling. He is, he is, but not to the level of Bruno Mars or Usher or some of the dances and dustback flips and huge choreographed dances.
Starting point is 00:43:48 I think next year is Taylor Swift. Yeah. I don't give a damn how you slice it. And then you have that, the NFL and Taylor Swift's romance over the past however many months. I just feel like the NFL looks like hip-hop, like the gum on the bottom of their shoe. So even when they give us greats, it has to be our great hip-hop acts, it has to be in collaboration with Mary and Em and Kendrick
Starting point is 00:44:09 and Snoop and 50. They got to give us, to have one standalone act. Oh, no, I don't think it would be one. I think if it were to be Wayne, I think it would definitely be some type of YMCMB type of thing. I don't think it would just be Wayne.
Starting point is 00:44:22 It would be Wayne with them, with Drake and possibly Nicki. Let's be clear. None of the Super Bowl performances pretty much ever have been really just one person the whole time. Right. But what I'm saying is it's still billed as one person. I'm talking about I don't think they would bill it as Lil Wayne.
Starting point is 00:44:38 It might be Wayne or it might be Wayne in front. Cash money. Yeah. Something like that they would do because it's New Orleans. Because it's this. That's the way i think they'll present it i don't think they're just gonna say little wayne only i just think that if he were to get a demo ain't big enough you know what i'm saying like some 60 year old watching the super bowl might not want to see wayne they didn't want to see dre and him true i agree with that they didn't want to see usher they didn't want to they mayher. They didn't want to,
Starting point is 00:45:05 well, they may have wanted to see Rihanna, but it's been like a quite- No, I think they was happy with Usher. I think they was cool with Usher. It's been a run where this is, Dre, you have- Usher has a 30-year career.
Starting point is 00:45:15 Yeah. No exaggeration. No, pop hits. For Usher. Pat McAfee went on the next day and said, I knew all the Usher songs that he played. Right.
Starting point is 00:45:23 Like, that was important for them. You just got to have heard these songs before. Wayne got records that they've heard. Wayne has a 30-year career. I don't think I'm that level. Respectfully. Not as many, but again. I think you have a hard time naming six records that he has to play.
Starting point is 00:45:38 I think that's why if you make that a YMCMB thing, they know the Drake records. For sure. I'm not assuming that Drake is showing up if Wayne makes that call either, by the way. I don't know that Drake might not be holding out to do a Super Bowl himself. I think for Wayne,
Starting point is 00:45:54 Drake would do it. If Wayne made the call, I think Drake would do it. That's the only way. He comes off as, I am loyal to this person right here. I rock with him. Ifne make the call yo dawg i need you i could see drake doing it me too but but if he doesn't drake home if he don't make the call drake is at home yeah no if he doesn't make the call and then drake say
Starting point is 00:46:19 i'm not coming but if they got whatever reason drake doesn't if he they got a hard time yeah it's gonna be hard um okay i see Lollipop, Millie. I think he would have to damn near bring the baby face joint out for the older crowd. He would do something where he would bring out Blink-182, something like that. Acts that he worked with on. He would have to cross it over completely. I'm going to mute the TV. I'm just saying, that's the way that he would have to do it to literally sell it to them as well.
Starting point is 00:46:43 I agree. If he go get a guitar and start singing How to Love. He's been on tour with Blink-182 for years. He would have to do something like that. It would be something along that line. But I think it's safe to say that we could see the play. And I think he's smoking.
Starting point is 00:46:58 I was like, it's Taylor. That's the play. I think that's the play they wanted to do this year. Can we change this please they seeing a different type of return on just her being present the money is
Starting point is 00:47:16 evident so imagine what the viewership looks like next year Taylor Swift is performing the halftime show would she be the first
Starting point is 00:47:23 artist to get paid to perform on the at the Super Bowl? No, I don't think so. Who says that she would want to do it? Why you guys didn't ask that question? Who said that she would want to perform at the Super Bowl? I think there's some business already. Kelsey is in hip-hop.
Starting point is 00:47:37 He'll probably tell her you'll let Wayne do it, right? I think there's... What? What you saying? Kelsey. Hold on, hold on, hold on. I'm saying that's who she Kelsey Hold on Hold on I'm saying That's who she fuck with right? Yes
Starting point is 00:47:48 I'm just saying Who says she wants to perform At the Super Bowl period? Nobody has said that Roger Goodell So he's So she's gonna listen to him? Yes
Starting point is 00:47:58 Why? I think they have Business deals The checkbook I know who he is So he's gonna pay her That's what I just asked Whether you get paid directly Or indirectly Is some benefit My business dealings. The checkbook. I know who he is. So he's going to pay her. That's what I just asked.
Starting point is 00:48:09 Whether you get paid directly or indirectly is some benefit. I think she's already getting paid. I think y'all pocket watching that white lady, and it's a shame. During Black History Month. During Black History Month. Look what y'all doing to that white lady. I don't like all that ice spice and Taylor Swift's body. Oh, my God. Oh, that was annoying me.
Starting point is 00:48:25 It's not the first time we see them hanging out. I don't know. I think they're buddies. They was a song together, right? Yeah, I think they do have a song. I think they're buddies. Ice Spice didn't look like she gave a fuck about a touchdown, interception, or nothing.
Starting point is 00:48:38 Facts. No emotion. She's sitting there like this. Like, at least use your Super Bowl hairspray. Like, why is it this all right what y'all think about the rumor um that taylor didn't let kanye in yeah i'm not paying no money that's funny though i'm not paying no money oh we're gonna get to kanye later fucking sickening everybody's's sickening. Stupid ass teeth. Stupid ass teeth.
Starting point is 00:49:10 Him and his fucking wife. Oh my goodness gracious. Second half. Second half of the ball. Come on. What did y'all think? That's where the game got good. That was the game.
Starting point is 00:49:18 That's where the game got good. San Francisco stopped running the ball for some reason. Their best player on offense completely taken out of the game yeah that's it that's it and they locked Kittle down
Starting point is 00:49:30 big down they stopped running the ball they had two three and outs where they didn't even run the ball once and it was over at that point I think they got lucky honestly a couple different plays go a different way
Starting point is 00:49:41 they could have got blown out the Chiefs? no the Niners? I wouldn't go that far. I think they thought their defense was going to hold it down. And I think they out-coached themselves. I don't know what it is.
Starting point is 00:49:54 That Super Bowl stage, we see teams do that a lot of times in that second half. It's like, you just go away from what was working. Yeah, well, it happens in regular season. And you out-coach it. With everything on the line, though, if this works, stay there. I think Jokers be wanting
Starting point is 00:50:09 to knock out blow. Yeah. And you see that with the passes. I think Jokers just be wanting to knock out blow the momentum builder in football. And instead of the corny, grounded pound,
Starting point is 00:50:19 you know what I mean? Like, McCaffrey was getting yards. He was getting yards. Every time he touched the ball, he was getting four or five yards. They could have literally ran the ball all the way up the field, but they went against that and they went home. Yeah, once you go away from what works and what got you here, it's a wrap. That little special teams blunder really changed the momentum.
Starting point is 00:50:37 Yeah, momentum. Yeah, that was it. That was it. That was it. We can't even, like, say it was a bad play by the blocker. He got pushed all the way back. Like, he shouldn't have been nowhere near that ball. That was it. We can't even say it was a bad play by the blocker. He got pushed all the way back. He shouldn't have been nowhere near that ball. Nowhere near.
Starting point is 00:50:49 And homeboy did the get out of the way type shit. Yeah. It hit his foot. Now I got to try and get it. I got to go dive at it. Yeah, San Francisco had a lot of things not go their way. For sure. What do y'all think of the decision in overtime for them to receive the ball?
Starting point is 00:51:04 I think. Versus kick it off. You definitely. I see people making a big deal about that. They are. They have been making a big deal. what do y'all think of the decision in overtime for them to receive the ball? Versus kick it off. I see people making a big deal about that. They are. They have been making a big deal. A lot of assumptions that Shanahan didn't know what the rule was. The players didn't know what the rule was. No, Shanahan says he chose to receive because of the new overtime rules. And so if his team goes to score and then Kansas City goes to score and next score wins,
Starting point is 00:51:27 he wanted the ball first for the third possession. Smart. Or if we can get a touchdown and get the game over with. But you're playing against Patrick Mahomes. But if we can get a touchdown and get this motherfucker over with, Patrick Mahomes don't get a chance to eat again. It's not going to be over. That's not the rule anymore. When did they change the overtime rule?
Starting point is 00:51:43 This year. This year. This year. This year. Touchdown does not win the game. Yeah. The other team gets the ball no matter what. That was what threw me. That's what he's saying about the third possession.
Starting point is 00:51:53 Yeah, but that defense, Kansas City defense, was kicking ass. So to assume that you're just going to drive down there two times and score when you really didn't do that the whole game. I think Romo made a good point. He was like, when your defense been on the field all this time, they tired. So now you want to try to give them some type of a rest. So you take the ball first because they just ran down. They just got beat the whole game.
Starting point is 00:52:17 All of that makes sense unless you're playing against Patrick Mahomes. I don't care how tired you are. You went and got Chase Young. All of your big money boys is on that defense. I'm putting my defense out there. My offense ain't showed me much. I don't care how tired they are. This is where the big boys are made.
Starting point is 00:52:35 Romo made another great point. He said that. You giving Pat Mahomes four downs? Four downs. That was his point. You giving Pat Mahomes four downs? Never. Never.
Starting point is 00:52:43 I told Corey when San Fran had the ball with five minutes left in the game, 548. I was like, that'll be the end of it. You will never see Pat Mahomes again if that's me. Boy, I'm drilling that ball down on the run. I'm running that clock. Running the ball. I didn't understand the clock management from Shannon. Knockout punch.
Starting point is 00:53:02 I didn't. Out-coach yourself. I had fun, though. Yeah, overall, I enjoyed the Super Bowl. I appreciate the overtime and all that. It was a good game. It was a great game. It was a good game.
Starting point is 00:53:13 A lot of money. You almost went to double overtime. I thought I was going to. For my prospect's sake, I hope they did. Nah. A lot of people want money out there. I wasn't one of them. I've won $160, I think.
Starting point is 00:53:26 I won some money. A man won about $1,000. I won like $1,200. Big flip. Prize pick. Real quick, as a first time watcher, I enjoyed it. That's the first time you watched the Super Bowl? Actually, paying attention.
Starting point is 00:53:42 I watched it before. And you know Like I said The 49ers were doing Great in the beginning I'm like Patrick Mahomes Get out of here And then he just came back
Starting point is 00:53:50 In the first I'm like You know In the second half He came back I'm like Okay I see what they're talking about You know what I mean
Starting point is 00:53:56 They said that You know he did a I don't know what they called it But it says Went back to the fundamentals As far as The little trick That he did at the end
Starting point is 00:54:04 Which would be simple but he got it done. Corn dogs. Yeah. That fucking play. I love it. That play was amazing. What did y'all think
Starting point is 00:54:12 of Travis Kelsey screaming on Andy Reid on the sideline? Any lip readers figure out what he said? No. Throw me the fucking ball probably.
Starting point is 00:54:21 Something along those lines. Something along those lines. He was mad because he took him out the game? He wasn't getting the ball. Yo, he wasn't getting the ball at all.
Starting point is 00:54:28 And they losing. I think... Well, they took him out the game for the Pacheco fumble. I think the passion is passion. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:54:38 I think he should get a big ass fine. I think so too. I think the fine should be enormous. He almost knocked him down. It didn't look good. That's not going to be a fine for... Y'all let your old coach... What are you talking about? Nigga, you don I think the fine should be enormous. He almost knocked him down. It didn't look good. That's not going to be a fine for yelling at your old coach.
Starting point is 00:54:46 It didn't look good. Nigga yelling at the coach like that, Joe. He's not getting a fine from his fucking day. Just won the Super Bowl. I don't give a fuck. Fuck all that. Nigga can't yell at the coach. Who's going to find him?
Starting point is 00:54:54 He didn't yell at him. He pushed him. Who is going to find him? We'll see. Yeah, this is going to be a fine. I bet you he'll find him. I bet you he don't. If he was yelling at a ref or the other team's coach, then yeah.
Starting point is 00:55:04 But yelling at your old coach, they're not going to treat that like nothing. It just don't look good, though. It's like a dad to him. Yeah. All right. That's in-house. They're not going to do nothing about that. That's regular football shit that they do behind the scenes and on the sidelines.
Starting point is 00:55:16 Behind the scenes. And it really look like whatever. That's what the big moment is about, Ish. Passion. I appreciate the passion. I want to see that level I want to see that level of accountability, passion, determination,
Starting point is 00:55:28 grit, guts. Yeah. And they don't get that little field goal without Kelsey doing that little jook jook up the sideline. Yeah, nah.
Starting point is 00:55:35 Yeah, nah. They did what they had to do. Shout out to the Chiefs. Going for the three-peat next year. Hey, I'll be the first to apologize to them. I didn't think y'all
Starting point is 00:55:42 were scary this year at all. Tony, Kadarius, Kadious Tony, healthy scratch. Good for y'all fucking Chiefs fans was talking shit to the Giants when y'all got them too. I like Tony, man. He is not good, though. He's not good. He is not good.
Starting point is 00:55:58 Whoa. I think he's super talented. Oh, okay. Like athletically, but he has not put it together in the field. That's a shame. I think if they go get a number one receiver, they can three-peat. Who has the Chiefs three-peat?
Starting point is 00:56:09 I do. I think that they're going to win three, four more in his career. Easy. He'll be the goalie. I think they'll be the goalie. But you got him going next year, for sure. Yes. Barring anything catastrophic happening.
Starting point is 00:56:21 Yeah, yeah, of course. Of course. I mean, everybody healthy. They got a lot of people to bring back. Not really. Chris Jones is the big... Yeah, you got to bring them. You got to bring them.
Starting point is 00:56:29 Nah, they got them corners. I think they're both still on rookie deals. I think they still... No, not rookie deals. No, they're rookie deal. Snead not on a rookie deal. Snead they got to bring back.
Starting point is 00:56:39 Okay. They got about five to six people that they have to bring. I ain't got them going next year. See, this is my thing. I think that when you create a winning culture like Golden State, I think that they have to bring. I ain't got them going next year. See, this is my thing. I think that when you create a winning culture like Golden State, I think that people want to come back. They might not necessarily be in it for the money only.
Starting point is 00:56:53 Shit. We'll see. It's a lot of people like that. It's a lot of people. And we won a couple. So now I got my rings. No, I'm going to get paid. We'll see.
Starting point is 00:57:01 Yeah, it depends. I was real happy they didn't let Jackson Mahomes in the club. I was excited about that too that was funny yeah fuck out of here and they had the camera right in his face right there right in his face
Starting point is 00:57:13 nah he just look annoyed he don't we were everything everything about him y'all got anything else from the Super Bowl commercials
Starting point is 00:57:21 commercials yo this was a weak ass commercial so terrible ever real quick the commercials pissed me off the one with the Anything else from the Super Bowl? Commercials. Commercials. Yo, what's that? This was a weak-ass commercial. So terrible. Hey, yo, real quick. The commercials pissed me off. The one with the, you know, Jesus washing feet.
Starting point is 00:57:31 I didn't understand. There's a lot of Jesus. There's Jesus and Scientology. Jesus dropped a big bag this year. What? He did. But he's been dropping the bag. Last year, there was Jesus commercials.
Starting point is 00:57:40 Yeah, there was. I didn't understand that washing feet shit. That shit fucked me up. I thought it was some type of foot powder or some shit. Some type of, you know, athlete's foot was. I didn't understand that washing feet shit. That shit fucked me up. I thought it was some type of foot powder or some shit, some type of, you know,
Starting point is 00:57:48 athlete's foot shit. I didn't understand. I'm like, okay, they got the feet in the water everywhere and then, you know,
Starting point is 00:57:54 it looked crazy. You know what I'm saying? I didn't like it. On the Schwarzenegger commercial, I thought that was cool. Stay for him. I thought that was funny. That shit was terrible.
Starting point is 00:58:04 Yo, this is the worst year ever for Super Bowl commercials. It wasn't much memorable. Ever. Was there a Doritos commercial? I don't remember seeing one. I didn't see one. It was a Pringles.
Starting point is 00:58:14 It was a Pringles commercial. I'm talking about Doritos. And certain brands we know that usually come with it during a commercial. Pepsi and Doritos. Pepsi, Budweiser. I didn't see any of them. I was like, what the fuck? Dunkin' Donuts dropped this.
Starting point is 00:58:24 Where the big boys at? The Dunkin' Donuts commercial might have been the most memorable. It dropped the bag. Nah, Verizon was. Fuck y'all. Oh, that's true. Oh, yeah. The Christopher Walken commercial I liked.
Starting point is 00:58:34 Yeah, it was all right. That was pretty good. Christopher Walken, BMW. Yeah. I missed that. Usher was in that commercial. Usher was in it. They started doing all of the Christopher Walken voices from all of the movies.
Starting point is 00:58:43 Oh, that's dope. I got to see that. I got up for food.. Oh, that's dope. I got to see that. I got up for food. You're not a movie book. I got up for food. Fuck off. But what's that commercial that you were just talking about?
Starting point is 00:58:52 Verizon. The Beyonce one. Damn. That was good. All right, come on, B.I. Give me your bag. That would fuck me up. I ain't going to hold you
Starting point is 00:58:57 because it was rumored going around that her and Verizon were going to announce something with the sphere in Vegas. So when you saw it, you'd say, oh, you oh you think that was the wait you see what we announced next there was a Verizon commercial said okay the announcement coming they play the
Starting point is 00:59:12 shade did I break the internet yet that break the internet then she go and say I dropped the music and it goes off my nigga I'm gonna keep it a buck my girls like immediately I see the next four plays. I'm like, all right, where's that? I'm on Apple, Titles, where's that?
Starting point is 00:59:30 Because she would, you know, be do that shit. She did that shit. And I'm like, no, I'm thinking the album, like you ain't do that. You didn't hit niggas
Starting point is 00:59:36 with this again and drop two country records and announce that Act 2 is coming March 29th. Did y'all hear them? I did. I heard them. I like them shits too. I like them. I like both of them shits. I'all hear him? I did. I heard him.
Starting point is 00:59:45 I like them shits too. I like them. I like both of them shits. I like both of them. Me too. I saw a lot of people saying that the 16 carriages was the one at Texas Hold'em.
Starting point is 00:59:53 I like the Texas Hold'em one though. I like both of them for different reasons, but I like both of them. And I think that's dope. I do too. Utilize the platform, push your shit.
Starting point is 01:00:03 Now that shit gonna be number, or they already are, one and two. I'm sure. Utilize the platform. Push your shit. Now that shit gonna be number... Oh, they already are. One and two. I'm sure. On the charts. In country. And I did see something in there. Get paid for promo? Originally, Sony put them under pop in the sexy category.
Starting point is 01:00:18 Yeah. No, no, no. Hey, yo. Yo, big dog. Yeah, yeah, yeah. This is country. I know what I'm doing. You heard the banjo, right? Country. Put my shit where it's supposed to be. Number one. I agree. Which I think is genius. Big money at play. I like them
Starting point is 01:00:34 shits. I ain't got nothing to say. I bet you don't. I bet you don't. I like them shits, though. You didn't hear it. I've heard them. And? And what? I'm not a country music critique, critic.
Starting point is 01:00:50 But you're a Beyonce fan, no? Right? Yes? I'm not a country music critic. You're a music critic, though, right? Sonically, does it appeal to your ears? I'm not country music. This nigga's smart.
Starting point is 01:01:02 Nigga, you play that all week, all day. You a smart motherfucker. I the day. He was smart. He played that all week. All day. He was smart. He was smart. He was smart. He was smart. I like that. He slid. A.D. La Jolla.
Starting point is 01:01:10 That was good. Do you feel like it sounds like authentic country? I feel like I don't know because I don't know anything about country music. I don't know shit about country music either. He don't know how to rate. I press play and was like, oh, this Texas Hold'em shit is hard. He don't know how to rate country music. I get it.
Starting point is 01:01:25 I'm not rating country music. I'm rating these two Beyonce records. Either I like them or I don't. And I'm looking forward to the album. Facts. I didn't like the last album, so I'm looking forward to this. You good. We know what you're doing.
Starting point is 01:01:37 And you're doing it good. Yo used to be slapboxing with Zab, right? Them road dog. What are you trying to say? You slipped. What do y'all think I'm slipping exactly? You're avoiding
Starting point is 01:01:48 Avoiding Critiquing the songs Yeah Giving an opinion You Time and time again You don't have to Appreciate
Starting point is 01:01:55 Come in and you are The music aficionado You want to talk To this nigga Talk about riffs And bridges And pre-choruses I don't give a fuck
Starting point is 01:02:03 About this country shit It's music You care about music I don't care You trying to make me care But I donoruses. I don't give a fuck about this country shit. You care about music. I don't care. You're trying to make me care, but I don't know because I don't know what... Did this make you want to listen to... Did it make me shake my hips?
Starting point is 01:02:13 Is that what you're trying to say? Yes, did it make you want to listen to an album, a forthcoming album? How many different fucking times do I need to say what I'm saying? No, I'm not listening to the Beyonce country album. Okay. That's cool.
Starting point is 01:02:27 Country music is not my thing. Okay. I don't care who do it. Okay. Now, when I said that about Afrobeat,
Starting point is 01:02:35 never mind, I'm not going to do that. Yeah. You're right. You're right, Ice. You got him on that one. How? One is racist,
Starting point is 01:02:40 one is not. It's not racist. All music started from black. Man, stop it, man. Country music ain't racist. There's black music too. Country music is not racist. That's what she doing, taking it back. Yeah's not racist. All the music started from black. Man, stop it, man. Country music ain't racist. There's black music, too. Country music is not racist, nigga. That's what she doing, taking it back.
Starting point is 01:02:48 Yeah, she went back to the essence, nigga. Dab him up in his wrongness. That nigga's wrong as hell. Country ain't racist. Y'all have fun with that. The artist is racist. Maybe. Y'all gonna be mad next year.
Starting point is 01:02:58 Not the genre. When country music step up and treat Beyonce like Lil Nas X, y'all all put y'all silver dresses on and go out there and rage. Y'all go out there dressed like aluminum foil with your fists in the air and really let them know how you feel about them. No, you're not lying. It's going to be interesting to see how the
Starting point is 01:03:16 country music community receives this. It's going to be really interesting. I think it's interesting to see how y'all receive it. I like that shit I like the music I don't care about that I wanna hear it I don't care what she
Starting point is 01:03:27 win in the country is the music do it sound good to me it's the same thing I tell y'all about other music I don't care about none of that other shit
Starting point is 01:03:35 when I press play do I like it that's it I agree you got Rafi El-Siddiq making country records that shit sounded fire I was like
Starting point is 01:03:43 oh shit I had that shit blasting in the crib. Seven speakers. Am I wrong to say that I just miss R&B Beyonce? No. You're not wrong to say that. I don't think so. That'll probably be act three, I would imagine.
Starting point is 01:03:56 I think act three's going to be rock. I think that we challenge artists to push the envelope, to do something different. And I think sometimes we challenge artists to push the envelope, to do something different. And I think sometimes we often critique them when they keep putting out the same shit. So I think creatively, you know what I mean? Like they try to do something different and challenge themselves to see if it could work.
Starting point is 01:04:17 And I think that we got to appreciate when they- Well, she basically said after Renaissance, she was just like, I am literally in my, I don't give a fuck era. Like I have- Not at all. I have acknowledged who the fuck I am. I can do what I want. after renaissance she was just like i am literally in my i don't give a fuck era like i have i'm i have not at all i've acknowledged who the fuck i am i can do what i want and i'm going to do exactly what i want i think drake too when you when you when you dominate the field for so long man you want to try like you said challenge yourself i respect any artist that'll just
Starting point is 01:04:39 take the attempt especially once you once you've made it to the top. Like, again, you mentioned Drake. I did not like that Honestly Nevermind album. But I respect you even for trying to do it. Let me go do something different. If it work, it work. If it don't, it don't. But it's either this or I give you the same shit that I've been giving you for the last 10, 20 years. What's the difference?
Starting point is 01:05:01 Try something. It's good to make you miss something. I agree with that. I agree with my co-host on this one. It's good to make you miss something. I agree with that. I agree with my co-host on this one. It's good to make you miss something. Instead of keep putting it out. She decided to come back. Doing the same thing and become repetitive. It's good to make you miss it.
Starting point is 01:05:13 Switch it up. If you reach that point, you afforded yourself the luxury to be able to say, I'm going to try something different. If it don't work, okay, cool. Back to the drawing board. Or it could work. I think all that's a crock of shit. And none of that
Starting point is 01:05:26 applies to me. I absolutely hate when my favorite artists do this. I hate when y'all do this. We had to go through it with fucking Drake. Whatever mood he's in, we had to go through it with Kanye. Whatever mood
Starting point is 01:05:41 he's in. I hate this shit. Why y'all can't just fucking put the adobo in the sauce? Like, I'm sick of my favorite acts pandering to every fucking genre except the one that we know and love you for. Cool. Y'all want to do EDM. Y'all want to do house. Y'all want to do reggae.
Starting point is 01:06:03 Y'all want to do Afrobeats. Now y'all want to do house. Y'all want to do reggae. Y'all want to do Afrobeats. Now y'all want to do country. Cool. But don't expect the R&B heads to be all up in arms and excited about it. I've given you R&B for 20 years. Stop it. Stop it. Stop it. It's about growth, nigga. Stop it.
Starting point is 01:06:17 But Joe, you will put guitar riffs and all that shit in your songs? That's like a dude saying, yo, I don't want to hear this guitar shit. I want to hear hip-hop. But that person has the right to say that. Oh, true, true, true. I'm not saying
Starting point is 01:06:32 anybody is wrong here. I'm not saying that she shouldn't do that. I'm not saying Azalea Banks is right or wrong. I'm not saying anybody is right or wrong. I'm talking about me and my ear. Texas Hold'em, sounds good. I think the Beyonce and the Dream and Raphael Sadiq is going to always sound good.
Starting point is 01:06:55 What's the other one? 16 Carriages? 16 Carriages. 16 Carriages. Sounds good. But what do you want me to do? What did you think about what Azealia Banks had to say? What did you think about it? Don't ask to do what do you think about what azalea banks had to say what did you think about it don't ask me shit you answer some of the women questions why does it always have to be gender like it can just be like somebody's opinion what'd you say
Starting point is 01:07:13 what'd you have to say okay i'm gonna read it for you guys okay no let me let me read it because it's very specific um uh bianca girl i love you down with them r&b runs over the leslie feist backbeats is giving pick me-ish. Nothing country about it. You're setting yourself up to be ridiculed again. There's a theatrical element to country music. Them critics are not going to just accept an ugly blonde wig and bullying from Jay-Z. It's giving big time musical grift. Yes, black girls can make country music, but you're just really not hitting the button.
Starting point is 01:07:44 K. Michelle, this is your turn to really execute. It's no shade, but K. Michelle truly understands the assignment. Beyonce, please stop the madness. The gay baiting, the overtly narcissistic attempts to lazily encroach in a genre you think your popularity is going to gain accolades for you in. You're looking like food, sis. You will gag when K. Michelle tears it. like food sis you will gag when k michelle tears it now i think that's the very mean version of some of what i'm saying but yeah she's definitely not known for diplomacy but but what but i do think that there will be a large group of people to listen there's a lot
Starting point is 01:08:20 of beyonce fans that couldn't go to her last tour and enjoy it because it was so centered around the dance album. Uh-huh. Right? Like, I think she's catering to specific sectors of her fan base, which is cool. But when you do that, you will alienate some other people. That's all. But now when I come back and take care of y'all too, you get what I'm saying?
Starting point is 01:08:40 Well, then I'll be just as excited as y'all was when the commercial came on. That's my only thing. Like, yo, it ain't like I'm saying? Well, then I'll be just as excited as y'all was when the commercial came on. That's my only thing. Like, yo, it ain't like I'm off y'all. Like, I fed this group of fans over here for years. When's the last time she fed us? Lemonade? Lemonade. What year was that?
Starting point is 01:09:01 2016. Yeah, come on, man. Eight years ago. Come on. Okay. I'm not that patient of a music fan. Like, we already there. I'm not going to turn this into that, but we already there where you're going to hear from your favorite artists every five to six years.
Starting point is 01:09:17 You didn't like anything from Renaissance, though? Yes, but that's not for me. No, but I was saying, like, so in that way even though you did you may not have appreciated the entire album there was cuts on it and then there was remixes like cuff it you know that that became like a real r&b kind of song remix yeah exactly the one so in that s in that way you're kind of sort of being fed it's not a full album but it's still like it's still music y'all have fun i'm not knocking y'all. Y'all have fun.
Starting point is 01:09:46 What I was saying about the country music industry, you know, them, her whole idea of encroaching, and Zaylia Banks saying encroaching on them, I said it's going to be really interesting to see how they receive her. I don't think that it's going to be with open arms. Of course not. So I don't understand what y'all talking about, that country ain't great, but we not here for that.
Starting point is 01:10:06 I can see it being an uphill battle, but again, if I'm making the music I really wanted to put out, then it don't matter. And she put out two slaps, they said.
Starting point is 01:10:16 So does it matter? They don't. To Azealia Banks' point, they are not necessarily traditionally country-sounding songs. They are not. not yeah yes and no Texas Hold'em is fairly country but my thing is
Starting point is 01:10:31 so what it's a lot of country shit that ain't necessarily sounding country like that but I think country music has evolved I told you I went to the Kane Brown show think country music has evolved. I told you, I went to the Kane Brown show. Like, country music has evolved. I think that,
Starting point is 01:10:48 who the fuck are we to tell somebody that they can't try to do some new shit? I don't think anybody's saying you can't do it. For me, if an artist is going to... She's saying you're not
Starting point is 01:10:56 going to be welcome. They're going to give you a smack in the face. They're going to show you what... So? I think that's true. No, she's saying if you're going to do it,
Starting point is 01:11:03 then do it for real. She said that was half of what she said. Another half of what she said was's saying if you're going to do it, then do it for real. She said that was half of what she said. The other half of what she said was, yo, they're going to learn you something. That's true, too. Because you're not doing it for real. That's true, too. They are going to learn you something.
Starting point is 01:11:14 Okay, well, let me learn then. But the other part that was whack about what she said is you immediately go pit me against another black woman over here. Why? That is true, too. That was what? It's another black woman in country. That's a real country too. That was what? It's another black woman in country. That's a real country singer. I forgot her name.
Starting point is 01:11:27 No, no, no, no. Is she aite? No, she is. But that's not, she's Mickey, I'm forgetting her last name, but that's not what she's saying. The reason why she's saying K,
Starting point is 01:11:36 the reason why she's saying K. Michelle is because K. Michelle is an R&B singer who actually knows, that has talked about, I really want to do country. That's in my, that's in my bloodline. That's in do country. That's in my bloodline. That's in my history.
Starting point is 01:11:46 That she's doing country. Exactly, and she's doing it. Cool. So that's why she's using her as an example specifically. It's still competitive. You are now saying Kate Michelle going to
Starting point is 01:11:55 crack your fucking head and show you how to really do it. Don't do that. Why? I don't think that that's what she's saying, but I'm not mad at her. She's highlighting Kate Michelle.
Starting point is 01:12:03 And, but I want to reply to you because you're saying, so what to my, they're going to learn her point. But I think that somehow this might be, nobody was saying that when Jay-Z got up there fighting for the rights of his wife to be awarded properly. They were saying, oh, you got the most awards in the world. Shut the fuck up. We don't want to hear you talk about your wife but they they learned her there so they clearly do care i think they do care no i'm not saying that they don't but that's a bad comparison it's not they learned you they learned you by not letting you get the main award that matters even though you are the most awarded,
Starting point is 01:12:45 probably most talented black woman that we have doing this thing. They're learning you. That's a pow, pow. Her husband got up there, bitched about it, complained about it,
Starting point is 01:12:55 repped. He did what he was supposed to do. So don't tell me that they don't care about this stuff. Man, this is a fucking artist's gift. All this shit,
Starting point is 01:13:01 fuck around and tie up in line. Him doing that, her dropping this, and this album be the one they give her album of the year for next year. That could be. I wouldn't surprise me. It wouldn't surprise me at all.
Starting point is 01:13:10 It wouldn't surprise me, but what I'm saying is, yo, dog, when you are trying to fight new fights, adversity comes along with that. Exactly. You're going to have an uphill battle, bro. So just because I'm not making an album just because y'all going to bitch about me encroaching on y'all genre of music. I agree. Who the fuck cares? Listen, I'm just waiting to hear some R&B. That's it. And for me, when it comes to an artist that I love, if they take a moment and go off and do something that just doesn't really kind of appeal to my, I'll be there when you get back.
Starting point is 01:13:39 Exactly. You know, it's fine. I'm interested to hear the album. Texas Hold'em, I like more than 16 Carriages. But to me, what Adelia Banks is talking about, like her R&B runs, that's what I hear. Even though it's like got a country, typical kind of country sound to it,
Starting point is 01:13:55 I still hear the R&B artist over a country track. That's just what I hear. Maybe the rest of the album's gonna sound a little bit different. Well, Kanye just put out an album, Donda, that was classified as a gospel album and it was rap. It was a clean album and it was literally categorized as a gospel.
Starting point is 01:14:12 But I'm just saying, it's not your typical sounding gospel. But it was still gospel. It was hip hop. Maybe she's creating a whole different sound. That's all I'm saying. It don't have to be typically sounded to still be that. Look at the shit
Starting point is 01:14:26 we listen to just in rap today that ain't typical sounding rap. Yeah, but y'all don't make that call. They do, which is why I'm saying
Starting point is 01:14:33 they gonna learn you because there are clearly gatekeepers in that, of that genre that call the shots the same way the Grammy board
Starting point is 01:14:40 calls the shots. So what do you mean? All right, again, she might get learned. She might not win an award. She might get the Country Music Awards or the other flip side might happen. You right. Let's say she wins the Grammy for Best Country Album.
Starting point is 01:14:54 Now what? Like Album of the Year, you mean? Yes. I don't think any Grammy matters for her now besides the main one. Album of the Year. Yeah. So let's say that happens. You get what I'm saying?
Starting point is 01:15:06 Like, yo, my nigga, you got to try. You can't just be like, yo, they're going to learn me, so I'm going to go just stay over here in my corner. I don't agree with that. I'm not trying to say woe is me. I'm not trying to say that. I'm not trying to say she should tuck her tail and woe is me because they're going to learn it.
Starting point is 01:15:20 Gotcha. All right. That's what I got from it. That was my point. I'm saying if this is your work around from them learning you then i think they're going to continue to learn you yeah i don't think that's that yeah i don't okay great great great great great and she's also been planning this for a long time you can tell like from renaissance with the cowboy hat like it was almost like an easter egg could be
Starting point is 01:15:47 I'm right I'm mad at it I'm right you can laugh all you want to I'm right it's gonna come out so cause she wore a cowboy hat I'm just saying
Starting point is 01:15:55 the horse were there any other clues I'm just saying she's been doing you didn't fuck it don't act like you knew something she did go to the rodeo remember
Starting point is 01:16:03 remember she did go bull the rodeo. Remember? Remember? She did go bull riding that time, right? Is that country? Suck a dick. It was so many clues. Now, she's been a little country-esque the last year. And I think last year she played horseshoes.
Starting point is 01:16:27 So if that wasn't a dead giveaway that this was coming, she really been playing this for ages like i can tell honestly the whole time it's right before our eyes we missed it she's always been country yeah texas girl that's so cute anyway what else y'all got what else y'all got what else y'all got been playing a long'all got? It's been playing a long time. All right, before we go any further, time for my favorite part of the show, Prize Picks. Yeah! Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah! Congratulations to all the big winners.
Starting point is 01:16:55 It was a lot, a lot of money going around over the weekend. Prize Picks is the biggest daily fantasy sports app in all of the land. Really simple, easy, and fun to play, especially if you're good at strategic skills. All you have to do is pick two or more players, select more or less on the projected stat line for your chance to win up to 25 times your money. Now, with football season over, there's still basketball, there's still soccer, there's still a million other things.
Starting point is 01:17:23 I can't give you my Joe Budden Genius picks because this is pre-recorded. Sorry, but I do wish everybody out there good luck and use promo code JVP. That's right. There you go. Go prize picks. I saw a lot of prize picks happening over Super Bowl weekend.

I lost a lot too on I did I did they're moving I lost a lot too but my head bust off I was killing him for a minute but ever since I start talking talking shit the problem yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah uh-huh definitely learn you so and then was just, I haven't caught one since. I got this for you, Mel, for Happy Valentine's Day. Thank you. You know, I figured that was the best way to get you to not call me and mine on Valentine's Day.
Starting point is 01:18:19 There you go. There you go. Come on. Come on. How cute. Come on. Beautiful. Purple heart. And now you go come on come on how cute come on beautiful purple heart
Starting point is 01:18:27 you better go to war that's before I knew you had a little new nigga running around so Collins hey Colin that was Collins' job but cool
Starting point is 01:18:36 big now thank you thank you I appreciate that that was lovely Colin paid for the lamb rice what'd you say?
Starting point is 01:18:42 Colin paid for the lamb rice the other day for the lamb rice? where you watch the? Colin paid for the lamb rice the other day. For the lamb rice? Where you watch the game at, man? Um, at a girlfriend's house. What's Colin with you?
Starting point is 01:18:51 A galentine Super Bowl. No, it was like family. Have you guys ever heard of Evelyn's Kitchen? Catering? No? Okay.
Starting point is 01:18:59 Yeah. You weren't at Evelyn's Kitchen? Well, her name's Isla, but yes. Gotcha. That's what she goes by. And it was, the spread was dope. Are you doing't in Evelyn's kitchen well her name's Isla but yes that's what she goes by
Starting point is 01:19:05 and it was the spread was dope are you doing a Galentine's no no it's a regular day for me I'm sorry
Starting point is 01:19:13 I got shit to do somebody out there told me that we even the guys in relationships are supposed to ask our significant other
Starting point is 01:19:23 if they would be our Valentine yeah okay where do you guys stand on that I'm not asking I'm not asking come on man are supposed to ask our significant other if they would be our valentine. Yeah, okay. Where do you guys stand on that? I'm not asking. I'm not asking. Come on, man. I'm telling you.
Starting point is 01:19:30 Who told you to think this? How old were they? They lived there from? A few different women said that that was a thing. Yeah, okay. Were they single? Yes. I think so.
Starting point is 01:19:41 All right, nigga. Single niggas. The single motherfuckers got all the rules. We don't acknowledge the opinions of single women. No, not when you're in a relationship. All right, nigga. Single niggas. The single motherfuckers got all the rules. We don't acknowledge the opinion to single women. No, not when you're in a relationship. Not about relationship shit. Because they don't have a man to validate them. Yes.
Starting point is 01:19:52 Yeah. I'm with it. It's cool. It's fine with me. Get yourself a man. Get somebody to ask you. Apply some of that. And then see how it work out for you.
Starting point is 01:20:02 Nah, nigga. You know what it is. Nigga, put that other hand up. Put that shit down. Put for you. Nah, nigga, you know what it is. Nigga, put that other hand up. Put that shit down. Put the right hand up, nigga. Why would I have to ask my partner to be my valentine? Who the fuck else is going to be your valentine? Exactly.
Starting point is 01:20:16 Nigga, you want to ask your wife, yo, baby, can you be my valentine this year, baby? Are we just not romantic? That ain't got nothing to do with romance. Yeah. All right, put it this way. If you don't ask her,
Starting point is 01:20:31 walk in the house with no gifts. Yeah. Like, he might agree with the single people. Well, he's a single person. Yeah, true. Mel, what'd you think?
Starting point is 01:20:40 All that shit for them. I think that's stupid as hell. Asking, right? If you have a significant other, duh, you're my valentine. Yeah, we going on five years, right? If you have a significant other, duh, you're my Valentine. Yeah, we going on five years, man. If you ain't figured out by now, then what the fuck? Or not.
Starting point is 01:20:51 Ask. Ask what? Keisha on deck. Baby, baby. Well, I didn't ask you because I asked somebody else. Yeah. Like, what are we talking about? I didn't ask you because that would validate your opinion.
Starting point is 01:21:06 I'll make you think you got a choice and shit. Oh, you thought you had a choice. Welcome to death row. Stop. Welcome to death row. Fuck you think this is? Valentine's Day. It's Galentine's.
Starting point is 01:21:17 You miserable, lonely bitches. When you put them shoes on the counter, you ain't ask me to pay. Mm-hmm. Card came right on out. You ain't have to ask me to pay then. Exactly. I don't want no smoke. I ain't tell you nothing.
Starting point is 01:21:35 I bet. I'm chilling. What else important? Kanye, man. Kanye, we finally got the Vultures album. Vultures. What'd you say? Go ahead. Oh, yeah. We finally got the Vultures album. Vultures. What did you say? Go ahead.
Starting point is 01:21:47 Oh, yeah, we finally got the Vultures album. Kanye, Ty Dolla $ign. It's a little weird drop. It was. We went looking for it. It popped up in the middle of the night, and then it wasn't there, and then it was there. I've had to re-download it three or four times. I've learned with Kanye
Starting point is 01:22:05 you just have to buy it right away as soon as you see it because it's going to disappear. So I purchased immediately. Yeah, I bought it. I ain't seen none of them
Starting point is 01:22:13 little streaming games they was playing. Oh, he pulled it. Oh, it's not in Spotify. Oh, he changed it. They was doing some nasty shit though. Like to see it play out,
Starting point is 01:22:22 it was nasty. What happened? Tell me. Well, Apple's invested in Super Bowl, sure all of this I should drop some new album so of course it's gonna be it's all promoted and slapped all over the pages Apple Apple ushers of course number one number one number one mm-hmm and then in comes this Kanye album out of nowhere which jumped to number one no you can't be here my nigga move and it's every
Starting point is 01:22:47 time they try some trickery because you'll see the album disappear now ushers back at number one it'll be completely out the top 10 like i literally watched this because i'm like are they really doing that of course they're doing it and as soon as he re-uploaded whatever they do number one so it ended up beating it out beating out the album that y'all are invested in and promoting for number one as an independent album. Like, this was dropped straight through. Usher's independent, too. Usher's Gamma.
Starting point is 01:23:17 Hey, I'm just telling you what he told me. Oh, OK. True, true. Salute. Gamma's name. Listen, salute. All right, we're not doing this chance to rap or shit. Listen, true. Salute. Gamma's mine. Listen, salute. All right, we're not doing this chance to rap or shit. Listen, dawg.
Starting point is 01:23:28 Salute. Please. I'm not hating. Salute to everybody getting it. But yeah, did you guys all get a chance to hear the album? Of course. I did not. I did.
Starting point is 01:23:36 I heard it. I heard it. I like that shit. Me too. I like a large chunk of it. Yeah. Production is- Crazy.
Starting point is 01:23:44 Top notch. Top notch. I kanye is at the point now where he's just doing arranging um i'm pulling in i got the sound i want i got the person i want i got this i got that even if when he shows up on the album he ain't doing his best rapping rapping anymore even though he did go off on a couple that's a stretch he not bro no i'm saying you saying i'm saying in a nice stretch yeah yeah boy that's that's kind of you yeah yeah this this this rapping on here let's spend a minute on it this is some bad rapping on here from everybody or no no just him i'm only talking about connie west freddie gibbs went. Rich the Kid went crazy. All the rappers I heard went crazy. Except for Kanye West.
Starting point is 01:24:28 But I think that speaks to Ice's point. His focus clearly is on, I'm arranging the song. Bro, he's just chanting. To me, I'm not comparing the two of them, but this is West Side Gun on his albums, where I'm not doing, I can rap.
Starting point is 01:24:44 I'm not doing my best rapping i'm more so arranging this and getting the sound the way i want and the features the way i want and y'all do it when i come on i just do whatever it is i'm you know a little bullshit here and there that's what sound like comparison not bad at that comparison and they're both art you know they're both artsy dudes so that's what that's what i hear when i hear this kanye album it's just a lot it's it's it sounds great sonically i played it everywhere i played in the car and the headphones in the headset like i had the album going crazy i like what i heard but then it's like i i almost like tuned him out a little bit on his own album yes it's not a little fucked up i wasn't really
Starting point is 01:25:22 analyzing his raps yeah like i don't expect It's been a long time since I looked at Kanye for like lyrics Well listen don't focus on what I'm saying about the lyrics I am still a bird I'm still a little thot inside now hold up What a creative flip of back that ass up I'm still a little thot inside now, hold up.
Starting point is 01:25:49 What a creative flip of back that ass up. I need to hear this in the strip club. Loud, loud. I just want it. Oh my God, this is hard. To a toast, spin it up, pick it up real slow I do it, baby, do it, I'm that one I stack a jacuzzi in my back, call me 06 Gucci What's happening, tryna make a movie Just touched down, feelin' like no shit Fuckin' on T-shirt, fuckin' on T-shirt
Starting point is 01:26:16 I'm scrammin' at you with this bitch I do a little tootsie, beat it all night Beat it all night, I be on gorilla, gon' tumble slice I be with the killers, need to pay your fines Tryin' to eat one, she gon' play with your life Listen, that's crazy. It is. That's your stuff. I absolutely love that. One of my favorite songs on this project. Let me get emo for a minute.
Starting point is 01:26:41 You've gone too far. I love this. You've gone too far and you should hang your head in minute. I love this. Absolutely love this. Come on. Killed it. This is craziness. I don't care that this beat stays the same I don't care And it doesn't stay the same
Starting point is 01:27:27 But this is crazy You gone too far I don't wanna bleed y'all Let me get to my part real quick He showed his ass in the production He did He absolutely did. This production is unbelievable on here.
Starting point is 01:27:50 Here you go. How could you not appreciate this? Like just his arrangement. And Kanye can sing better than I give him credit for. And Kanye can sing better than I give him credit for. Yeah, I need to hear this loud some way. I do. A lot of this album is that.
Starting point is 01:28:16 Like, you have to hear it in a really loud environment. Yeah, you might have to hook up to the bigs. Oh, yes. Yeah, get in that 808 bag for me. Give it to me. Yeah, sing your heart out. Oh, yes. I will wait I will wait I will wait I will wait
Starting point is 01:28:47 I will wait I'll get carried away if that stays on here Again like I said The Freddie Gibbs track I love The last couple songs are amazing too Gibbs probably got the best verse Not even probably He has the best verse
Starting point is 01:29:03 Yeah Carnival on Down is nuts. Carnival is that. He lost me when he got a little too funky. Sometimes, there's about two or three songs on here that's too funky for me. Some of the middle stuff, he got like yeezish-ish. Too yeezish-ish for me. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:29:20 The first seven or eight I love, and the last five I love. Overall, good album, though. 16 tracks, 56-minute listen. Shout out to Kanye, man. And Ty Dolla $ign. And Ty, yeah. And Ty Dolla, yeah, that's true. And everybody that played a part in this project.
Starting point is 01:29:38 There's a YG- I still have to go get the bootleg, because I need the Everybody record. I need the Backstreet Boys record. That shit is hard. I need it. get the bootleg because I need the Everybody record. I need the Backstreet Boys record. That shit is hard. I need it. That's the one. I hope that comes on. Because, again, the version I have with that is like a pre-mix.
Starting point is 01:29:54 Well, a lot of people after you dropped the album started talking about his lack of sample clearances. He don't care. He don't give a fuck. All right, I heard you. Me asking to clear this, like I tweeted that, is a professional courtesy. He don't care. He don't give a fuck. He's, all right, I heard you. Like me asking to clear this, like I said,
Starting point is 01:30:08 I tweeted that, is a professional courtesy. I'm just asking. If you say no, all right, I'm doing what I want to do at this point. Also, Kanye,
Starting point is 01:30:16 deeper than the independent album, he's on, what? He could do that? You can. Unless he don't sell it. No, no,
Starting point is 01:30:22 he's selling it. He's selling it. Now you, deal with the ramifications. Okay. Now you... Deal with the ramifications. Okay. All right. Deal with the consequences. I love what he's doing independently with the music, but deeper than that, this Robin Hood shtick that he's on with the apparel.
Starting point is 01:30:39 $20 joints. The $20 joints. Or sell them for $200, everybody ordering, and then him rebating, giving back $180. Just highlighting how people are good at the capitalism and just how people are robbing people in that industry and showing how you don't really need to spend that for high quality stuff. I'm very anxious to see how this plays out. It's interesting, for sure. Sure enough, the $ million dollar Super Bowl commercial Which is the iPhone commercial
Starting point is 01:31:09 He spent the money on the The slot and he had no money to record An actual producer commercial And it did it's job though According to the reports Brought back 19 million I think it was 270 thousand Orders or something like that
Starting point is 01:31:23 You spent 7 million to get $19 million. $100, yeah. Just look at that. Look at that reach of the Super Bowl, though. 130 million people. Yeah. You spend that and got it right back. And that's just day one.
Starting point is 01:31:39 I think it's a play. What's the play? I think the whole $20 thing, the $220 and all that, I think it's a play. What's the play? Starting point is 01:36:09 But anyway, it's cool. Wait for your man to go inside. I'm not. That's it. What else? What else?
Starting point is 01:36:14 What else? Shannon Sharp and Mike Epps beef, but they pieced it up, so it's really nothing to report on. Nah. I'm glad that.
Starting point is 01:36:21 I hate when y'all pieced it up before I get to work. No, I'm glad they pieced this one up because I was to work No I'm glad they Pieced this one up Because I ain't I was laughing
Starting point is 01:36:27 But Mike F's response Was top tier nigga shit Which one The one where he was Landing in the bed Yes He said that You know
Starting point is 01:36:34 Hey it's a home game Yeah niggas ain't gonna Put their hands on me Over there nigga Not here Not here It's a home game Yeah yeah

Starting point is 01:36:47 I'm a little too old to be tussling. So y'all are in support of Mike Epps shooting Shannon Charles? No. That's why I'm glad they pieced it up, is what I'm saying. We're not in support of that. Be clear what you're saying. I'm saying I'm glad that they pieced it up because I'm not in support of him shooting him. But I do understand you reminding a nigga that this is a home game.
Starting point is 01:37:04 Let's stop playing, nigga. Same thing with the rock take, nigga. Ain't no diesel niggas putting hands on another nigga that's not as diesel as he is. Why not? Nigga's going to die. You're going to get shot. Clapped. A nigga ain't going to watch.
Starting point is 01:37:16 I'm not going to watch a big nigga put hands on you, you, or you. Nigga's going to die. These are men of a certain age. None of that is going down. That's not men. It's not them. It's not them. It's they mans. Okay.
Starting point is 01:37:28 A nigga like me, if I see a big Joe or Ish, I'm going to the toilet. No, don't let her explain. No, no, please. I want to hear her explain. We got this. She's paid to explain. Go ahead. Yeah, explain, man.
Starting point is 01:37:38 I'm sorry. Do you really think it was going to come to a situation where guns are going to be brought out? It's not necessarily them. I love that about girls. It's their friends. That's how niggas get their dick. You're in Indianapolis. That's exactly how niggas get their dick.
Starting point is 01:37:51 We're talking about Mike Epps and Shannon Sharp. No, we not. No, we not. We talking about Mike Epps. That's about Mike Epps' little homies. Yeah. Lil' KK and Roscoe. Who love that nigga to death.
Starting point is 01:38:02 Niggas would do anything for a fuck. What do you think about what they're saying now? I don't agree. So you're trying to say Mike Epps would... But hey, what do I know? I'm not from the streets. Are you trying to say Mike Epps would not bring his niggas around?
Starting point is 01:38:13 That's what you're trying to say? Because you can't... And he's home. Well, y'all won't let her say. I'm sorry. No. I think that they're too grown for this. Okay.
Starting point is 01:38:22 Like, way too grown. Like, way too grown. And Mike Epps is not going to let somebody roll up on fucking Shannon. No. That sounds ridiculous. Go ahead. Mike Epps said he wasn't the one rolling up.
Starting point is 01:38:35 Shannon Sharp said he was going to roll up. So your 17, 18-year-old cousin is not going to let the breadwinner get beat on in front of them. You know why this whole thing even started in the first place. I would like for you to address what I'm talking about. Yeah, I am. Shannon Sharpe said he was going to roll up on Mike Epps,
Starting point is 01:38:52 and he was going to put hands on Mike Epps. So if you are Mike Epps. Did he say that, though? I don't think he said that. In so many words. In nigga talk. I'm going to see you face to face, nigga. In so many words, yes.
Starting point is 01:39:01 That's what he said. So now my little cousin or my little team that's i'm home they getting the free tickets they doing all that shit i might pay the bill or two bought a pay the car note or two they're not gonna let nobody put their hands on the breadwinner the fact that they pieced it up so quickly made them realize like this is ridiculous that we're even fucking having this kind of exchange the fact that they pieced it up so quickly is literally what Ish is saying. Yo, let's piece this up because my little homies is here. You coming out here.
Starting point is 01:39:32 This could go bad. Okay. And niggas do that. So let's put it out there that, yo, we don't have no issues. We cool. I think that was right. He just built a whole town in the city?

Starting point is 01:41:05 He ain't even, he, uh-uh. He just talking. Don't pay him no mind. Okay. Now he's sparking. Now what?
Starting point is 01:41:13 Now Ronnie, you meet your ass. So what would have, what would you, what would have been your responses to what Mike Epps was joking about and insinuating about Shannon?
Starting point is 01:41:21 What would, if you were Shannon, what would have been your response? Now funny, if she had a gun, she'd have shot a couple niggas that was joking. Word. True.
Starting point is 01:41:29 All right. Yeah. I would have been very loosey-goosey with the trigger. Anyways, go ahead. Whoa. Don't point. Yo, you pointing. Yeah, you just shot his butt.
Starting point is 01:41:37 Yo, no. You shot me. You shot me, then. She killed the whole room. She really wanted to shoot me. Why you point at me again three times? Listen. Don't shoot me.
Starting point is 01:41:45 Don't shoot me, nigga. Answer the question. Briss, mad, flimsy. Yeah. Shooting people that's innocent. She didn't really shoot you. She pointed there. But she pointed directly at me.
Starting point is 01:41:53 She pointed there, there, there, at me. But answer the question. If you were Shannon Sharp, what would have been your response? Nigga, I'm going to your city. It'd be ignorant. I'm going over there. I'm going to show you, nigga. I think if I'm going over there. I'm going to show you, nigga. I think if I'm Shannon Sharp, and I think that Shannon Sharp is on a run,
Starting point is 01:42:10 I think now the powers that be step in. Yeah, of course. So yeah, it's not the direction. We men at the end of the day, too, man. It's not the direction we going. You just did 50 million from Kat. You did mad millions from Monique. Don't let this knock you off your square.
Starting point is 01:42:24 Yeah, but he's on a stage basically insinuating that he's gay yes you know what I'm saying that ain't what his issue was he said he didn't care
Starting point is 01:42:31 about that you can say that don't lie on my name don't say I called you to come on the show it was both things I think that was a cover up it was both things
Starting point is 01:42:39 I think he was mad about the gay shit yes he just had to use that to cover it up I have to take what the man said so you don't want to go
Starting point is 01:42:46 a little further. What did he do? I'm not digging it. What did he do is what he do. I don't think Shannon Sharp was mad at nobody implying he was gay. I believe him.
Starting point is 01:42:54 He was like, yo, don't try to make it seem like I called you to do this show. Shannon Sharp, I believe he's been called every name in the world.
Starting point is 01:43:01 They made fun of how he sound, how he spoke, how he looks. I believe that you do develop a thick skin from that. And he's in the business. He's been in the business a while made fun of how he sound, how he spoke, how he looks. I believe that you do develop a thick skin from that. And he's in the business. Starting point is 01:43:08 He understands Mike Epps is on stage doing the show, showmanship. And I just take him at his word. He one of them old school South kind of niggas where my word is all I have. You are lying on me.
Starting point is 01:43:21 Tell the truth if you're getting into your joke bag. I believe him. And if you notice, right afterwards, Mike Epps did admit, okay, yeah, I did call you. I did DM you. Of course he DM'd him. He said I DM'd you to come
Starting point is 01:43:32 up to you. So don't try to now flip that. I don't think Shannon Sharp is DMing nobody. I don't think not at all. No, not right now. Starting point is 01:52:16 I keep trying to call it. And for Kanan. So you can kind of see Kanan. No, something drastic has to happen with his mom or something along those lines to send him over the edge to just being a different type of nigga. Do you think that the big award shows
Starting point is 01:52:32 purposely omit or ignore this show or any of 50 shows? I think they don't watch it enough, maybe. I think that the more urban shows, and I don't want to call it urban in that sense, but they might not be getting the reviews and the looks because, again,
Starting point is 01:52:51 Patina Miller is putting on a clinic and she's somebody that is on major shows. She was on Madam Secretary. I know who she is. She's amazing. For them to be overlooking it, it definitely ran across my mind before. Yeah, it did.
Starting point is 01:53:09 It did. When they met, I know she's acting well. They might think we all act like that and speak like that on a normal basis, so they don't think it's acting. I don't think it's that deep. I just think they're not aware of the show like that. It resonates in our demo a lot, but that don't necessarily mean it leaves outside here
Starting point is 01:53:26 as much it's true it comes on in competition with other shows that they might be watching and they might rush and watch that they just might not know when it comes like for example quick example you said she's on the show madam secretary i don't know that i've never heard of that show gotcha it's a demo thing but they do right so they know they know that but they might not know she's over here because it's a demo thing
Starting point is 01:53:49 sure that's all I'm saying I agree I don't think it's as deep as them being shut out whatever like yeah now
Starting point is 01:53:55 I think some attention should be paid to everything that 50's doing because he basically was keeping the lights on over there at Starz so for that part even if y'all don't know this show
Starting point is 01:54:06 somewhere there should be something yeah if this man kept his network afloat damn near by himself for a good a good amount of years yeah 12 years you know what i mean i agree with that so um but no shout to them they're killing it they really really like that show. They really are. The finale was great. I mean, shit, you can spoil it. I can't wait to watch it. You got to watch it. You're going to really love it. Yeah, you will love it.
Starting point is 01:54:32 I've been mad at- So Joey Badass' character, I'm about to- Spoiler alert. Yeah, spoiler alert. Spoiler alert. Spoiler alert. Joey Badass' character got killed by his crazy lunatic brother that just came home from jail. So he smacked him in the head with a pipe and rolled him down the hill
Starting point is 01:54:45 into almost like a garbage dump. So he's been gone for the last four episodes. So at the very, very end, they kill his brother and they kill Omar Epps. Shout out to Omar Epps too
Starting point is 01:54:58 who's doing this thing. Friend of the show. Friend of the show. But Omar Epps gets killed and... That's my man. I heard you. Joey But Omar Epps gets killed. That's my man. That hurt me. Joey Badass' brother gets killed.
Starting point is 01:55:08 Finally. Then all of a sudden, just out of nowhere, you hear some Timberlands walking. You're telling the whole thing, right? And you see Unique just standing there with this big-ass scar on his face. And 50 Cent be narrating the shit real, real good. And then just went off like that for the end of the season finale. But nobody thought that Unique was still living. I kind of thought about it because they didn't really show him die, die.
Starting point is 01:55:31 I'm assuming Unique is Joey Badass. Yes. Thank you. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. And another thing that's really dope watching it play out is Rock's brother, Lou. Like, that was like her enforcer damn near. And a lot of this shit,
Starting point is 01:55:47 he ended up killing somebody that they thought was a snitch that wasn't. And now you see him fighting with these demons in real time damn near on the show. I know I'm committed in the life, but I can't do this shit no more. Street shit. It's really eating them up. It's conscious.
Starting point is 01:56:03 He damn near went to confess to some, like, developed alcoholism. Like, he's completely off his game because of the shit that he had to do for the sake of the family. Yeah. You don't really see that in shows where it's like, you see this nigga's a stone cold killer,
Starting point is 01:56:18 but you don't see what it do to the mental. Yeah. So I love, like, just the character development showing how it's playing out that this shit is fucking with him. There's two sides to the shit. Yeah. It the character development showing how it's playing out that this shit is fucking with him. It ain't all just we slide over here, we kill this nigga and everybody all good.
Starting point is 01:56:33 Was it better than the red wedding? Are we ever going to address Mel not having seen Love and Basketball? Or are we going to let that one just slip under the radar? Wow, you're such
Starting point is 01:56:47 a fucking asshole. I'm kind of shocked that you know I whispered that to you. But his mic was on. Yeah, we heard you. They heard. We heard it.
Starting point is 01:56:55 Oh. Oh, because that's when it was like, yo, just pick the other one. We're not going to address that. We're going to let her get that off
Starting point is 01:57:02 and be a part of it. Okay, hold on a second here whoa whoa whoa in parks it's black in parks podcast I'm sure that there is a movie that everyone's seen that you know

Starting point is 01:57:47 I'm gonna watch yeah I'll watch it I'll watch it for Valentine's Day and you didn't watch Grease neither so what what's that other Sanaa series
Starting point is 01:57:54 that came back as a miniseries Best Man yes did you watch that I did alright just checking to see
Starting point is 01:58:00 I did I did make sure you don't put no Sanaa beef in there yeah we got a profile of the chicks we think took some of your niggas back in the day

Starting point is 01:58:19 we got a list of who we think really sent you home from the club oh gosh you're funny list of who we think really sent you home from the club. Oh, gosh. You're funny.
Starting point is 01:58:33 I love y'all, yo. Sometimes you got to sprinkle some silence. Word. Just got to let it go. Let it go. You're tired. You're tired. All right.
Starting point is 01:58:44 Let me be mature. What else? What else? Nah, let's not be mature, man. We were supposed to be getting these dancing niggas out of here, yo. All right, let me be mature. What else? Nah, let's not be mature, man. We was supposed to be getting these dancing niggas out of here, yo. All right, I have a clip. Yeah, let's go. I have a clip. Couldn't wait for this. I found a clip of something I always wanted to say, but I didn't have the balls to say it.
Starting point is 01:58:59 Sometimes you got to let the women fight the good fight. Yes. So this is a clip from my good man Kev on stage. Noah Thomas. See, men that can dance disgust me. I hate that. Oh, shit. What?
Starting point is 01:59:13 I get disgusted. What? You talking about any man that can dance? Like Chris Brown? Yes. Gross. I like that kind of dance. What about that?
Starting point is 01:59:21 What? You like that part? It's a real thin line, but I think that I chris brown's like dancing no i do a test like before i got married i asked my ex i said can you dance he was like yeah i said show me he was like i said yeah we're gonna be together we're gonna be together i do not like that that is crazy because my worst nightmare is like me being at a party, and I'm in the kitchen getting some juice.
Starting point is 01:59:50 And I'm like, yeah, girl, this party's cute. And I hear, oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. And I peek in the living room, and it's my middle life. Hey, my kid, it's mine.
Starting point is 02:00:00 That was disgusting. I know. I know. I'm disgusting. I do. I do. spoke to my soul and spirit. I hate all them dancing. Wait, now I'm not talking about the college dudes. I'm not talking about the college, the frat dudes.
Starting point is 02:00:25 I don't even want to smoke with y'all. They got you shook. Well, as I've gotten older, I respect that, what they do. And that ain't dancing anyway. That's stepping. That's strolling. Yeah, that's stepping, strolling, strutting, all of those. I don't know what the correct words is.
Starting point is 02:00:39 Don't attack me. You got serve type niggas. I used to hate them niggas, too, when they come all through the fucking college party with that shit. But I didn't know what it was. Them niggas got muscles. They move you out of the fucking way. What's your thing with the muscle niggas, man? I was 120 pounds back in the Montclair State Willie Patterson days.
Starting point is 02:00:58 Wait, you think the muscle niggas used to fuck with you? No, you couldn't. When them niggas come through. You can't be in their way, nigga. You ain't got the thing on you. You gotta just move. Yeah, you're right. Them niggas would push you right out the way, nigga.
Starting point is 02:01:12 Them muscle niggas wasn't stopping nothing. Yeah, all right. They wasn't stopping my flow. But I didn't go to college, though. So you ain't had no flow? Please. Oh, that's true. Who are you talking to?
Starting point is 02:01:23 You're right. That's true. Nigga, I stayed in the Montclair houses. Freshman year. Well, I wasn't a freshman, but when I was supposed to be a freshman, I was in the houses. I had my own parking spot over there.
Starting point is 02:01:38 They knew me over there. But anyway, I'm not trying to talk about that. Oh, man. Those parties. Oh, shit. We had a duplex. It was upstairs and downstairs.
Starting point is 02:01:48 A little living room in the Montclair. It's not the Montclair. The good old days. Anyway, niggas that could dance. I hate them niggas. I brought it up to ask y'all. Y'all think the dancer niggas was able to get more pussy than the non-dancer niggas? You got to put a year on it.
Starting point is 02:02:05 Back in the day, if you could dance. Dancing niggas, you gotta put a year on it. Back in the day, if you could dance. Dancing niggas had a license. In the 90s. 90s. Nah, not 90s. Nah, that's hip-hop. No, 90s.
Starting point is 02:02:12 Drugs. Yeah. Drugs took the dancing niggas out of you. Street niggas. Yeah, you talking about early 90s, full force.
Starting point is 02:02:20 You talking about full force ain't my type of hype. Yeah. You talking about 91, 92-ish. Yeah. Yeah, you talking about that force ain't my type of hype. Yeah. You talking about 91, 92-ish. Yeah. Old I, old I am. Yeah, you talking about that.
Starting point is 02:02:27 After the niggas. It was old. But it came back, though, in the 2000s. Son of a... No. All that swag, surfer shit, and stinky leg. Them niggas was knocking shit off. Them niggas was knocking shit off.
Starting point is 02:02:38 Men wasn't doing the stinky leg. That was girls. What? That's a lie. I'm still talking about it. Don't touch me. When you say something like that, don't touch me. Yes, they, that's a lie. I'm still talking about it. Don't touch me. When you say something like that, don't touch me.
Starting point is 02:02:46 Yes, they were her-ish. The only nigga that was taking some pussy from me doing all them dances was John Wall. Exactly. That's it. And guess what? The rest of them,
Starting point is 02:02:55 all that Dougie, all that dog, they wasn't stopping my flow at all. Fam, the second that drugs became popular and niggas could start buying bottles and having sections in the nightclubs You dancing niggas It was over
Starting point is 02:03:08 It was a wrap It was a wrap And the dance floor And the dance floor Even with y'all little TikToks The girls ain't saying I want a dancer today Y'all niggas just capping

If you see a fly bitch doing a TikTok dance, you know there's a nigga by Hannah that knocked that head off. The dancing nigga had to go try to fuck the Fordham chick
Starting point is 02:03:48 at like 2, 3 o'clock right after school or something. Real niggas was coming through around 7, 8, 9 on the block. Watch your mouth, nigga. What did you talk about? Watch your pussy.

And the niggas that was popping in the Cherry Lounge had bottles. Them niggas had bottles. It wasn't none of that chicken noodle soup shit in the Cherry Lounge.
Starting point is 02:04:31 That's not true. You niggas got escorted out the back door. It was gangsters in there. But it was this. It was gangsters and baddies. All of that pop, lock, and drop and shit, you niggas had to go home at a certain time. That was the transition era. That was a dead-end block. You niggas was getting mugged and robbed. We not talking about they getting mug drop and shit. You niggas had to go home at a certain time. That was the transition era. That was a dead end block.
Starting point is 02:04:45 You niggas was getting mugged and robbed. On that little dead end block. We not talking about they getting mugged and robbed. We talking about them dancing in the club. They was. You was fucking Webstar. It wasn't the real niggas in there. Fuck off again.
Starting point is 02:04:54 No, it's not. We not talking about the real niggas doing it. We talking about the niggas that was doing it and leaving home with something. Mel, what you do if you at the bar, you at the bar, you and your dude and Fine China, Chris Brown, come on, and your dude get up and just start going crazy. He got the whole team. He doing choreo. Yo, you little Jersey City niggas. Y'all was in the talent shows. Y'all was doing the choreographed shit. Jersey City niggas danced when the house music came on.
Starting point is 02:05:26 Mm-hmm. The end. I heard about you. How'd it go? Huh? Ain't no house music going. And I ain't dancing right now. I got money, nigga.
Starting point is 02:05:32 That's it. I'm just like. No, he was dancing the other night. Yeah, you dancing the other night, dude. When? Yeah. Fuck out of here. You and your man.
Starting point is 02:05:40 Rock on, start going crazy. Going crazy doing what? The house set. House set. That nigga went crazy. Joe said, start going crazy. Going crazy doing what? The house set. House set. That nigga went crazy. Joe said, oh, this nigga right here, I got to go make some requests. He walked over to the DJ and really made some requests. But as a nigga that get up randomly no matter where you at and start dancing, you don't give a fuck who's watching.
Starting point is 02:05:58 I'm disappointed that you're shitting on dances. Because that's why me and you, that's why me and you, our bond will never be broken. I know Mel's going to hate, Mel's going to hate on our little thing we got going. He's stupid. But dog,
Starting point is 02:06:11 when I get up and start dancing and Ish is still there drinking his tangerine sparkling water. Dog, y'all don't feel me. Y'all don't feel me.
Starting point is 02:06:23 I've been in the spot to see y'all work. Imagine a nigga get up and just start hitting the two step While his man sitting there like You a bad boy You a bad boy And won't talk about it either Look he's just a killer

Starting point is 02:07:00 Anyway. Anyway. Yeah. Yours only. Two-stepping. Yours two-stepping. I got to hit the two step. It was two step.
Starting point is 02:07:06 And the table, the old, the old man is behind me, hitting me low. Hey, we was at our level. Hey! That's it. You get you a little old joint that can move a little bit. So you're a dancer, dude. You're a dancer.
Starting point is 02:07:17 Exactly. Yo, I hit a two step. I hit a two step. Still dancing. An occasional little spin, my shoulders get to moving, and that's it. That's the extent of my dancing. Nigga, you a dancer, nigga. I'm talking about the niggas that get up and start gliding across the floor.
Starting point is 02:07:27 You know what we talking about when we say the dancing niggas. You talking about the routine niggas. Them niggas do a little too much in the spot. You be like, I'm going to say jump too much. Damn, nigga. Jump kicking and all that. Nobody do that no more. Hey, y'all, I ain't going to hold you.
Starting point is 02:07:36 If you a female and your man in the thing, and he start jump kicking and twisting and shit, you might really want to fuck him up, y'all. Let's go, nigga. Let's go. Hold up now. Wait a minute. Hold up now. Let's take a minute for Jersey real quick. Everybody mute the fuck up.
Starting point is 02:07:55 Mute the fuck up real quick. Yo, nigga, what's wrong with this guy, yo? Yo, I'ma let this go to the chorus. Yeah, please. Just because I'm a real Jersey dude, and then we're going to get back to party. Ready, niggas. It's lost right now.
Starting point is 02:08:16 It sounds lost right now. Don't worry about it. I got you. Mal, what do you know about this? You know a little something about this? This came on again and I said, Toronto, you know this for real? Yeah.
Starting point is 02:08:29 I'm not joking. No, she old school freaks. She know this song. She old school freaks. She know what to do with this. And when I hear you calling, it's like everything's streaming forever till I'm out of the hole. Yeah. And then- Raquan really did show his ass with that. He went crazy. He did. I was leaving, but I had to of the hole, yeah. Rock on really did show his ass with that set.
Starting point is 02:08:45 He went crazy. He did. I was leaving, but I had to turn around for a second. That's what he said. Yo, he got to stay in here. I'm about to go get some requests. Got me fired up. Woo.
Starting point is 02:08:53 Fired up. You got me so. Oh, my god. All right. Damn, now I want to go home. All right. All right. All right.
Starting point is 02:09:01 And when she got ass, it come moving to this? Yeah. Oh, man. Woo. This one, you go over there. Come Oh, man. Love your soul. Love your soul. Woo. This one, you go over there. Come here, auntie. You got me.

Starting point is 02:09:16 All you got to do is walk by once and say, you too young for this. That's it. That's it. What you know about this? Too young for this. Listen to him. Listen to him.
Starting point is 02:09:23 Listen to him. Hey! Hey! Hey! Hey! Hey! him. Listen to him. Hey! Hey! Hey! Hey! Hey! Yo, listen to this nigga.
Starting point is 02:09:30 That's what you got to do. Oh, throwing his lines out. Oh, that's the one right there, though. All right, we're not going to play that. Don't do that. We're not going to play that. What you got to do a little about you. Too young, you don't know nothing about this.
Starting point is 02:09:40 That's it. What, boy? Listen to him. Listen. Lil Jab, go ahead. This guy right here. Oh, boy? Let's sit down. Little jab. Go ahead. It's good to be 43 sometimes, man. All right, what else is near and dear to your hearts and souls?
Starting point is 02:09:53 What's up? Meg, Nike deal? I don't know nothing about it. Somebody tell me. That Meg song got the fuck out the number one spot fast. Real quick. All y'all in the comments was dragging me and Ice. Actually, y'all was dragging me and Ice is the one that said it.
Starting point is 02:10:07 Y'all Meg fans learned me already. Although they dragged the shit out of me. I mean, not in the comments. They jumped on my Twitter. Ice say something. Here y'all go. Joe Button Podcast says, no, no, no. Ice said, I DM'd the Jasmine Brand, a couple of niggas. Yo, tell my name about it
Starting point is 02:10:25 You drop the dime on me? Yeah You got there right Yeah You let the cops in that day Fuck it I ain't over that shit I said that shit
Starting point is 02:10:36 But Absolutely right When the money is gone It did what it's supposed to do With what we paid for Yeah That's it What is the Meg Nike deal?
Starting point is 02:10:45 She has a deal with Nike. It's a collection that's dropping on February 15th. Her own specific collection though? Mm-hmm. Named after her and all that? Yep. They had a whole commercial
Starting point is 02:10:54 for it and everything. That's dope. You saw it? Yeah. Fire? It's cute. Better than your Lulu? It's different.
Starting point is 02:11:04 It's different. It's different it's different it's different it ain't Lulu Lulu's a little more classy Lulu yeah Lulu's more you know
Starting point is 02:11:11 yoga Pilates gotcha athleisure wear Meg is dropping what's hot look man here's the question
Starting point is 02:11:20 has she been wearing this stuff have you seen like has Meg been wearing it well she's kind of got a whole movement going. Like, she's got the deal with Planet Fitness right now. She does. I did see that.
Starting point is 02:11:30 So the whole Nike thing. But she's already kind of been, you know. Has she twerked in any of this stuff? I haven't seen her twerk in it necessarily. But I'm sure that she will on her live at some point. Tag me. I'll tag you as soon as I see it. But yeah.
Starting point is 02:11:48 I like Slim Egg Boy. You see this nigga? What? I do. This nigga just. Like a fucking kid. Look at him. What you want me to do, man?
Starting point is 02:11:59 I like that. I want to suck something with them Invisalign. Nasty nigga. Freaky ass boy. Speaking of freaky ass boys, pause. On the end of Kanye's album, one of them songs, he really started getting into his beliefs as far as marriage and women and having a different chick in each room.
Starting point is 02:12:24 And I believe in some African shit. I'm a king, so I should have this many wives. He started, at the end of that album, there's a lot of them songs where he going crazy at the end. So I'm like, don't quote me. What's the definition of polygamous? If every room just got a different bitch. And I found that rather interesting because if you've heard the rumblings
Starting point is 02:12:54 about him and Kim's marriage, about his beliefs and how they coincided with her beliefs in terms of you and other women. You talking about problematic. That's the record. They was, I just picture all out warfare in that home with some of the things that I believe Kanye was trying to get off in that relationship. That would make a lot of sense.
Starting point is 02:13:19 If you're trying to have threesomes and shit every night and your partner isn't into that. He's been saying it for a long time, yo. He has. How do you ask your chick for another chick? He's had these lyrics. How do you tell your partner that you're having a problem with your sex addiction? In his instance, his partner might have told him.
Starting point is 02:13:40 Well, that negates my point. That's a real conversation. That kind of negates my point. That's a real conversation. That kind of negates my point. That's a real conversation. If the wife with the, let's call it traditional wife views, comes and says, hey, nigga, the fuck is going on? Like, how do you... How would you... How would you want to hear that? Yeah.
Starting point is 02:13:58 Or would you even want to hear that? I don't think most women are ready to say that. I'm not trying to serious us out. No, no, no. I just don't think most, especially in a traditional mindset, women, I don't think they women are ready. I'm not trying to serious us out. No, no, no. I just don't think most, especially in a traditional mindset, women, I don't think they really prepare for that. But how do you get to marriage
Starting point is 02:14:10 without knowing that about that person anyways? Because you'll be meeting a nigga representative. And you marry for different reasons. You marry for different reasons. I was with Mel today. I don't care how you...
Starting point is 02:14:18 That's something that we need to know. But that specifically, I feel like that would have come up. I feel like that would have come up pretty fucking early. Because if there's one thing that people want to talk about, especially when the honeymoon or when you first get with each other and you're hot for each other and shit like that,
Starting point is 02:14:34 you express fantasies. You know what I'm saying? And your fantasies might have been getting played out until y'all got to the marriage step. When we dating, there's certain things that you might fuck with that once we start building a family, I don't necessarily want to fuck. Let me tell you something. If you like to get fucking pegged, you liked it before you were married.
Starting point is 02:14:51 You liked it before her. You've always liked it. Yeah, but you could have liked it in secrecy. True. So now you've met somebody that you want to spend the rest of your life with, but that's always been a secret. I don't think that men are just so forthcoming with their deepest, darkest inhibitions.
Starting point is 02:15:08 Sexual shit. What's interesting is the woman he was with and then left her for Kim. We could probably assume that his sex life with Amber was wild. And she has alluded to that several times over. So it would be interesting to go to the more traditional thinking woman and then not kind of, and then suppress a side of you that.
Starting point is 02:15:35 But wait now, because we don't know that him and Kim were not into some wild shit. Yeah, correct. She could have still had her traditional views in terms of him and other women. But we don't know that them together
Starting point is 02:15:49 weren't practicing some of the same things that him and Amber practiced. I think Kim is so concerned about optics that she wouldn't want anything to get out in an exposure culture.
Starting point is 02:16:00 We're not talking, that's what, that's why they marry each other. They're both super famous. We both know how this go We NDA everything We know what we doing Nigga Kim popped off
Starting point is 02:16:08 A sex tape Like so she's been It's still an image That I'm trying to get away from No I agree I'm just saying the fact That she might be down To do some shit
Starting point is 02:16:19 Behind closed doors That's I don't know That's not the way That don't mean Doing it behind closed doors Don't mean And y'all act like NDA stops the rumors
Starting point is 02:16:26 And the buzz And all of that Other shit Like fam You talking about Potentially somebody Having sex with Kanye West
Starting point is 02:16:32 Who's a megastar And Kim Kardashian Who's a megastar The NDA might not Stop that from coming out I don't think it would Yeah like I just think
Starting point is 02:16:44 I don't think it would Yo when I just think I don't think it would Yo when I'm dating you We might be into Some other shit But now once we settle down We got kids We got life And all of that
Starting point is 02:16:51 And I'm trying to have My life go in a certain way I think I don't think that's fair Her running from Her running from The whole sex tape Launching the career thing
Starting point is 02:17:00 The last thing that she wants To be seen as Is Is a sex symbol Is a Well A sex not symbol but yeah i don't know what y'all talking about it's the same woman that poses herself completely naked
Starting point is 02:17:11 she looks at his art you're naked what are we talking about but wait why why does the art line not apply to the other shit because art art doesn't art doesn't necessarily mean sexuality some people find art and sex. Yeah. Sex is definitely art. They do. I'm not saying that there isn't, but some people do. One thing does not equate to the next.
Starting point is 02:17:32 I'm talking about where she wants to be. I think Kim Kardashian has political dreams. She wanted to be in high society, which is where she is now. You don't think there's a bunch of freaky shit going on in high society? What? Crazy. We hear all these stories all the time. I think she's trying to do her lawyer thing, her attorney thing.
Starting point is 02:17:45 I think she's headed to a political field. You think there's no room for freak shit in that? Not publicly. With your husband? Not publicly. But that's what Ice and me are saying. I'm saying behind closed doors. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:17:55 Y'all keep talking about her brand and where she's trying to go and how noble it is and all this other shit. Yeah. Me and Ice are talking about what you're doing to please your husband behind closed doors i think she would look at it as a risk versus reward kind of situation the risk is too high versus so versus what she the the goal she wants to attain for herself okay so let me ask you do you think that because we've all said that they might have been you said what you might have been doing while y'all were dating or something changes at marriage i think so do you think it's possible that they was doing the wild shit
Starting point is 02:18:25 while they were dating? Yeah, I think she was a different person when they were dating than she is today. So because you changed, he got to change? No.
Starting point is 02:18:34 That's where the conflict That's where the disconnect happens. And I don't want us to focus just on them two. I'm asking you. I'm asking you guys. Well, not really the guys. I'm asking you.
Starting point is 02:18:43 Like, would you want your husband or your soon-to-be husband to come to you about a sex addiction? And if so, how would you want him to do that? Has he said he has a sex addiction? I just want to make that clear. Because addiction and predilection, they're two different things. In his example, we're not talking about Kim, Kanye, nobody. We're talking about you being married. Okay. Would you want your husband to come to you and say he has a sex addiction yes i would want him i would want him to tell me like straight up no chaser don't sugar
Starting point is 02:19:16 coat shit tell me what the fuck i am in store for let me be aware you can make a decision so i can make a decision yes but y'all are already Now, y'all have gotten to that point. Y'all not dating. This is not early on. Y'all are married. I would have wanted. But no, no. It's for this.
Starting point is 02:19:30 Okay. Y'all are married. Stop speaking over me. Sorry. Y'all are married. Yeah. And like he said, y'all might have been into some shit before. You have toned it down a little bit.
Starting point is 02:19:41 I'm not on that no more. He has a sex addiction now. How would you like him to bring that to your attention? If I love and care for this man and I want my marriage to work, tell me straight up, no chaser. That's going to be the very thing that he's not going to do.
Starting point is 02:19:56 Yeah, exactly. Why? Because he loves and cares for you. Correct. And is there a world where you're supportive through this? There is a world where I'm supportive of it. Even if I'm not included in it. There's definitely a world. So you're supportive through this. There is a world where I'm supportive of it, even if I'm not included in it. There's definitely a world. That's a world. So you give him some passes.
Starting point is 02:20:09 I like that. I might have to. Respect. I like that. If the whole family... Yo, Collins has really loosened you up a bit. Collins. Yo, my man.
Starting point is 02:20:19 Collins has really got you to level out. I mean, if the foundation of the marriage is important to me, if he feeds other aspects of me, if I feel protected, if I feel safe, if I feel loved, sex is just, it's an important aspect, but it's just one out of the many. And so if there's some way, shape, or form
Starting point is 02:20:41 that I can't do for him what he needs to, then I'll be supportive. However, I can't. You said you would leave your husband if he had a gay lover on the side. Okay, wait. Hold on one second here. Now you're adding more shit to it. Come on, Joe. You just added way more.
Starting point is 02:21:01 That's an extreme effort. Yeah. Never mind. I get what you're saying. I do get what you're saying. A lot of times people don't. That's an extreme yeah nevermind I get what you I get what you say I do get what you're saying a lot of times people
Starting point is 02:21:08 that's an extreme a lot of times but like I said even if I'm not the one to be you know even if I'm not with you like I'm still
Starting point is 02:21:15 I can still be supportive of it and that would be that would be a thing a lot of times men don't men don't go to their wives because
Starting point is 02:21:23 they're afraid of being judged right and they're afraid of being judged, right? And they're afraid that by being judged, it's changed behavior in the marriage. And she may leave you. That's right. You know what I mean? She may leave you. She might not understand.
Starting point is 02:21:34 A lot of, you know, it sounds good speaking about it now and on paper when you read it, but in reality- Don't leave us over our secrets. Hold on, nigga. Hold on, nigga. I don't need that. I was giving that for me. Yeah, all right. I don't need that. I was giving that to me. Yeah, all right.
Starting point is 02:21:46 I don't give a fuck what you do. Yeah. What? She may leave you. Get on him for stepping on my shit. Yeah, I'm not. She may leave you. So you got to be mindful.
Starting point is 02:21:57 I think that in the beginning is easy. I think it should be spoke about in the beginning, before the marriage. I think to give her an opportunity to make a decision early. If you just surprise her with this, it could go a lot of ways, different ways. I can tell what Kanye is into just from his choices post-kim.
Starting point is 02:22:17 He getting there. Never mind, I ain't got to talk about the love of nobody like, or his wife, rather. Let me ask you a question. No, not you. When you get with a girl, you'll bark like a dog, rather. Let me ask you a question. Not you. When you get with a girl, you'll bark like a dog right now. Let me ask you a question.
Starting point is 02:22:30 Bark! Bark! What was that movie? Coming to America? Yeah. Stand on one leg. Bark like an orangutan. Exactly.
Starting point is 02:22:39 Bark like a dog. Big dog, nigga. Let's say the roles are reversed. And your wife come and tell you, or your lady in the lady in the marriage tell you like, I'm a sex addict. I'm addicted to sex. What are you going to do as a man? Are you going to allow give her that pass to go get her urges out? Are you going to try to up your, you know, up your sexual urges, your sexual activity? I would try to up to meet whatever it is.
Starting point is 02:23:06 And if I can't, I'm not giving no pass to shit. You better go cheat and I'll find out. I say that all the time. I don't waver in that. I'm not going to willingly sit there and be okay with that. Unknown caller. Sorry. Just hope I don't find out.
Starting point is 02:23:22 That's all. Yeah, I don't know if I'm secure enough to handle that. I'm not. Honestly. I don't think I am either. Why. Yeah, I don't know if I'm secure enough to handle that. I'm not, honestly. I don't think I am either. Man, why your boys get all sad, them niggas? Put some bass back in your shit. You hear them? I don't know if I can handle all of that.
Starting point is 02:23:33 I just don't. I think that everybody's sexual things is theirs. My man was dating a girl, and she told my ex-girl, she was like, yo, I can't satisfy him sexually. He wants to have sex three, four times a day, and I thought I had a high sex drive when we met. and she told my ex-girl she was like y'all can't satisfy him sexually he wants to have sex three four times a day and I thought I had a high sex drive when we met and she was like y'all I can't satisfy him so I kinda can't even be mad if he go cheap they ain't got no job before some niggas like having sex
Starting point is 02:23:57 like that dead ass right I know like I know girls that have a super duper duper high sex drive. You still know them? Most girls I've ever dated in my life had a higher sex drive than me. Catch them around 30. You still communicating with them? Run.
Starting point is 02:24:17 Beating the coochie off. Stop. Go do something. When they get around 30 and they kick in Oh yeah, they go crazy. I they kick in. Oh, yeah. They go crazy. I heard 40 worse than 30. Move. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:24:29 I don't want to hump no four or five times. Go charge your little rolls and sit there. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I'll buy you a whole bouquet. All that shit. What are you talking about? I'll buy you a whole bouquet. Pick what you want.
Starting point is 02:24:38 I'll buy you a whole bouquet. I'm good. I wanted to ask you guys about this story going around about this comedian that made a mockery of George Floyd's death on stage as a part of his routine. What is this guy's name? And you want to show them the reason George Floyd got his neck nailed on. Don't ooh at that joke. He's saying his joke in front of white people. It's a joke, man.
Starting point is 02:25:10 I would have never kneeled on George Floyd's neck. I would have sh** a nigga. That was making us look. People start leaving. They start cursing about himself. Everybody start leaving. It's called comedy, nigga. How many more black fans I got to hear that might leave?
Starting point is 02:25:29 Oh, good shit, man. I got it. Because, nigga, I was just warming up with that George Floyd shit. You ready to go? All right, baby. I'm not going to continue to play this, but they did. A lot of people walked out. A lot of people started walking out.
Starting point is 02:25:48 I'm not going to say his name because I don't give a fuck about his name, but he is a comic that I've seen before. I haven't seen him. Black guy. I don't know his name. Fuck his name. But how do y'all feel about this? I'd have loved to.
Starting point is 02:26:01 I think comedy historically has teetered the line. I just think with that particular scenario, it was so... Fresh. Egregious? No, it was just egregious. And I think that it sent the country into an uproar. I don't think it's something to be played with.
Starting point is 02:26:19 But it's still fresh, too, though. Three, four years ago? Three years ago? It's relatively fresh. It's four. It's relatively fresh. It's four. It's relatively fresh. It's too fresh to try to get that off. I just think that...
Starting point is 02:26:29 I don't really see a world... I don't think it would ever be funny. ...where you should try to get that off as a community. I don't think it would ever be funny. This seems like bad shock value. Yeah. Trying to be... It's a reach.
Starting point is 02:26:39 It's not funny. Yeah, I just think that... Funny is funny. Again, that shit sent the country... My funny again that shit sent the country my bad that shit sent the country in an uproar my nigga for sure
Starting point is 02:26:48 you get what I'm saying so I think that that is just is in bad taste some comedians do try to pick the the the shocky
Starting point is 02:26:55 like you said topic and try to joke their way through it something that oh I went there nobody else would dare to go there
Starting point is 02:27:03 you know some people try to make that their brand. It just don't always work. That's all. I didn't see how he expected that one to land. Bro, but he kept going. That was the point.
Starting point is 02:27:13 After the people started to get up and leave, he just kept saying more shit. You know what I mean? Like, people just started getting up, getting up, getting up. He like, oh, you leaving? I think I would have left, too. You don't even really want to leave, my nigga. You ain't got to ride with somebody. You ain't even want to leave my nigga you ain't got you ain't right you you you got to ride with somebody you ain't even want to leave he started making jokes but people was leaving and some of the older black people in the
Starting point is 02:27:30 crowd were offended they was yelling at him and shit but for a black comic to make this joke after we watched this murder and we watched that knee on his neck and the aftermath yeah i don't this is a, I feel like bad taste is an understatement. Yeah, true. Yeah, that's it. True. Very, yeah, that's it. Extremely bad taste.
Starting point is 02:27:51 I totally agree with that. I don't even want to call this clout chase. I mean, I don't know what this is. No. I don't know what this is. No, I just think he thought it might have been funny. And again, a lot of comedians have historically teetered along. But you got people to like put this, you know, where's your sounding board?
Starting point is 02:28:03 Like, so I was thinking about doing a joke about George Floyd and blah, blah, blah. Who are your people? Who are your people? You got to have one person. Look, some people, no, look, some people look at it as, okay, if all of y'all got offended, I can, I did my job in the name of comedy. I offended you. I made you, like that could have been his goal.
Starting point is 02:28:21 I wanted to come in here and that's the brand i'm going to be offensive there's an art in offending yeah like it don't necessarily mean i want to see and have y'all dying laughing chuckling like i want y'all walking out of here saying oh shit yo you heard what he said yo this nigga's crazy yo he really went there comedians run their material in mad different clubs that might have hit two nights before in a different club that's true i don't really care if it ever were to hit i'm just talking about him up there as a black man doing that in front of black people and white people disgusting bro and calling yourself making a coin off of it it was nasty it was very nasty it's nasty very nice yeah we're not talking about fucking a white comic saying
Starting point is 02:29:04 nigger like and i'm saying this is somebody i used to be uncomfortable there were there were some paul mooney shows rest in peace that i was uncomfortable and people would get up and leave now he might have been justified in what he was saying about the history of this country right but this is a little different yeah and paul mooneyoney was still Paul Mooney. Yes. Paul Mooney wrote for Richard Pryor. This nigga ain't shit. Fred Tan. Whoever we talking about.
Starting point is 02:29:29 But that's what it is, though. You watch some of that and say, okay, I'm going to take that and make it today's version and just applaud it wrong. And this comedian is a fat black man. You should have had some type of... No, I'm serious. I seen him. I seen him.
Starting point is 02:29:43 I don't know, man. I ain't agree with it. It was a bad choice. It was a bad choice. All right. All right, just checking. Is there anything else? Anything else on your hearts and souls?
Starting point is 02:29:51 Come on. Anything else you got to get out of your system? Yes? No? Not really. Anything music related? I think I'm good. Anything personal?
Starting point is 02:29:59 No. Anything personal? Let me see here. Let's see if we have a part of the show. SETI Simmons. SETI Simmons. This is too long. What the fuck is this?
Starting point is 02:30:12 What do you want me to do with this? Then we just did the SETI joint. Did we? Uh-huh. Okay. We didn't do this. Oh, all right. Oh, I wanted to ask you guys about something.
Starting point is 02:30:24 Oh, I wanted to ask you guys about something. Oh, ask. The New York Times wrote an article insinuating that Travis Kelsey made the fade popular. No, just read up, yo. You guys don't have anything to say about that? No. No? Bunch of black men right here in parks. What are you talking about? I know that. So certain shit, you don't have anything to say about that? No. No? Bunch of black men right here in parks. What are you talking about? I know that. So certain shit, you don't even have to dig it.
Starting point is 02:30:49 You guys don't have to. This is a three week old story too. I didn't say, do I have a fucking fade? Do I pay it? No. It don't matter. It's a white rider.
Starting point is 02:30:57 It's a white dog. What? How do we know? You know what? Wait, what? I don't know if she has a fade. All right. Let me see.
Starting point is 02:31:11 Wow, this nigga's... I wish I had my headset. Yo, why would you do that? All right, come on, man. Tell us what we'll be saying. he said this shit is mad long pause oh man that was let me all right i'll try i'll read the beginning and if it's uninteresting then we'll just skip this he starts with let me unpack this oh if i left school we'll make him think i left school to not read things like this is mad long uh i want to start off by apologizing for the typos in my previous email, part of the show 696.
Starting point is 02:31:48 All right, I guess you were right. So after our divorce in 2013, I assumed full custody of our three girls, which I had been raising on my own for the past 10 plus years. Salute. My relationship with my daughters, now ages 17, 15, and 13,
Starting point is 02:32:01 is phenomenal to say the least, and I've been the best dad to them in many aspects. My daughters really don't have much to do with the sake of this conversation besides this point, and they really aren't fixated on us getting back together officially because as it stands, we legit do a lot as a family dynamic now, so they don't see or feel a division between us as parents. Now, I would like to address the questions each person had directly. Parks, thankfully our toxicity didn't affect our daughters. It mainly remained between us.
Starting point is 02:32:30 Never ever physical either. And yes, the lack of boundaries is exactly what drove the other girls away. Plus other stupid intangibles. Ish, to better help you understand how friendly we are, as the mother of my daughters as the mother of my daughters i've allowed her to stay in the house periodically to have more time spent with our daughters i heard that line before she lives in new york and work and we're in jersey we're we're in jersey oh and we are yeah we have not been intimate at all she sleeps in our daughter's room whenever she's here and never in my room or with me. I have, however, fell victim to the she's the mother of my kids stigma.
Starting point is 02:33:10 So I assist her financially a lot by assuming some of her monthly bills, car, i.e. car, no insurance, etc. Under the pretenses that maybe this new healthy relationship we're building leads to a potential relationship. Maybe this new healthy relationship we're building leads to a potential relationship, but she's not budging. LOL. Ice. She knows that I would entertain the idea of us restoring. Stop, stop, stop, stop, stop.
Starting point is 02:33:37 He said he's doing those things under the pretenses that it's going to lead to them getting back together. She's not budging. That's what he said. But she's not budging. Yes, that's what he said. And the last one, he said he wasn't trying to get back with Shorty at all. Okay, so he's lying. Gotcha. And now you made me lose, so he's lying. Gotcha. And now you made me lose my space on this shit.
Starting point is 02:33:48 LOL. She's not budging. Ice, she knows that I would entertain the idea of us restoring our relationship. She has even mentioned it in passing conversations, but no actions have followed. I won't rule it out like it's all her and not me. I'm just stating my perspective. Parks, of the two potential girlfriends, they seem pretty secure in themselves. But also, maybe it was too much to deal with in the early stages of getting to know one another.
Starting point is 02:34:13 Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. At least for one of those relationships. Mel, yes, my goal is to continue to build upon this new healthy relationship with the mother of my daughters but i cannot ignore the fact that it seems at times that she's not moving forward because she's afforded all of these things by me without the responsibility of an official relationship so that's so that's my biggest hang-up please help lol all right setting boundaries isn't as easy as you guys mentioned i've been trying to figure out a way to have this conversation with my ex about the boundaries for at least six months and decided to ask the pod instead, LMAO.
Starting point is 02:34:52 I know that once I have this conversation with her, it has the potential to derail the work that we have put in into building this foundation that we are on. that we are on in closing i guess what i'm asking is should i continue allowing this to be our way and hope we end up in a relationship again or do i have the talk set the boundaries and let the chips fall where they might once again huge pod supporter and fan and i'm honored to be a part of the show much love and respect thank you thanks so do need to really decide dude needs to really decide, first off, what he wants. Because you flip-flopping it sound like. One minute you sound like you want to get back with Shorty, and then the next minute you sound like you don't want to get back with her, but you want to set a boundary so you can date other women,
Starting point is 02:35:34 and they're not going with you. He's confusing the hell out of me. The first one that he sent on episode 696, I didn't get the feeling that he was completely dead set against a relationship with his ex. Yeah, that's why. Yeah, I didn't get that feeling. Well, it should mention, I didn't get the feeling that he was completely dead set against a relationship with his ex yeah that's why yeah I didn't get that feeling well it should mention I didn't get that feeling
Starting point is 02:35:48 I thought that he was he was open to it it sounds like he is no it's not like more than open pushing it sounds like what he wants he's trying to ninja cuff her
Starting point is 02:35:57 basically he's trying to do all the things and act as her man and hope she comes around to be alright now we back together I'm doing
Starting point is 02:36:04 I'm giving you everything that comes with being your boyfriend without the title. Yo. He live in Jersey. Everybody see that nigga at the Wawa.
Starting point is 02:36:13 He snuff me. And she don't want your meat. I get uncomfortable when you say meat. Your meat from you is like motherfucker from her. No, listen to this. Any curse words from her.
Starting point is 02:36:28 You paying her car note, you paying her insurance, and you doing all of the things that a significant other would do in hopes of winning her back. So you can't say that boundaries are hard to be placed when you not placing those boundaries. There are no boundaries. There are no boundaries. You admittedly are doing everything you can
Starting point is 02:36:46 to win this lady back. And she's saying, no, she's not quote unquote budging. So now if I have the ability to come to your house, you paying my car note, you paying my insurance, you paying all of these other life bills, why the fuck am I going to buy the cow when I'm getting the milk and cheese for free? Yeah.
Starting point is 02:37:01 And I have the ability to go date whoever I want without you saying a fucking word. Well, I guess he's looking at it like I'm, I guess he's looking at it like, you know, if I'm showing you that I want to be your provider, that I would like to, I would like to solidify this family unit, then you would come to the table and understand like we, we should make this work for the sake of the family. They 17, 15 and 13 you're right he should he should he should say something that's it he should be like these are
Starting point is 02:37:35 my intentions this is what i want you're playing games at this point like you're playing games straight up my nigga like yo you want it no chick is gonna take you seriously when you paying your baby mama bills. And she had to create it. And she's spending the night in your daughter's room. That is true. They're not even going to believe that she's spending the night in your daughter's room, to be honest with you. She's going to have a hard time believing that.
Starting point is 02:37:54 Yeah. Hey, girl backbone, homeboy. That's it. Girl set some boundaries for yourself. For yourself. Yeah. It ain't her. It's you.
Starting point is 02:38:04 She's got it good. Because she don't want shit to change. He phrased it differently. He definitely changed that't her. It's you. She got it good. She don't want shit to change. He phrased it differently earlier. He phrased it differently earlier. He definitely changed that whole shit up for my mom. He did. I'm glad he wrote back. Yeah, I'm glad.
Starting point is 02:38:12 I appreciate it. I don't know just how much of a sucker he is. We hope you are able to stay sucker free sometime. Yeah. Go rent the How To video by Joe Budden. You know what I mean? Hope it'll get you on the right track. I don't rent no video.
Starting point is 02:38:24 VHS. Nah. no videos. VHS. Nah. It's in VHS. It is. Yeah. DVD, early version DVD. You know? Something like.

She mad at me about something, but I had to cut. This is a record. You're the only one mad at you. If that's what you're doing now, get the shit off. Joe.
Starting point is 02:53:22 What? Utilize the sleepers for personal gain. I'm sorry. When you get home. Your wife listening to the broadcast, you check it out? Yeah, sometimes. They put on. Right.
Starting point is 02:53:35 Who put on? I just. Oh, and I want to say to y'all real quick, these blogs are already reporting. Oklahoma country radio station KYKC responds to a fan's request to play Beyonce's new song, Texas Hold'em,
Starting point is 02:53:50 and says, we do not play Beyonce on KYKC as we are a country music station. That sounds like, sounds fishy. Sounds like the redlining and racism and country music. Redlining the music.
Starting point is 02:54:04 That's funny. And country music. But what radio station. That's funny. And country music. But what radio station writes you back when you request a song? In country music, I'm saying. This sounds like bullshit. This sounds like what happened with Lil Nas X.
Starting point is 02:54:18 Rollout? Y'all are calling this a rollout. No, I'm asking what that's what he was saying. I said it sounded like bullshit. It's like the fan made that whole shit up to go get some attention. That's what it sounded like to me.
Starting point is 02:54:30 You'll believe anything aside from this bullshit going on in the music business. What are you talking about? Who you talking to? Ice. No, what are you talking about? I'm clearly...
Starting point is 02:54:39 Snowpox. Speak on the bullshit going on in the music business. She's going to face bullshit. She is. No question. Let's be clear. I'm not saying
Starting point is 02:54:44 that's not going to happen. music business. She's going to face bullshit. She is. No question. Let's be clear. I'm not saying that's not going to happen, but she's persevered through some bullshit too. She can possibly push through. What happens if, yeah, now this creates a conversation and then what happens
Starting point is 02:54:55 if now this country station play her or that one do it. Now what happens? Boom, boom, boom. Next year, she's fucking performing at the Country Music Awards next year.
Starting point is 02:55:02 What happens then? She would definitely be at the Country Music Awards. What happens then? I'm not sure that she didn't go this year. A door gets kicked open next year. What happens then? She would definitely be at the Country Music Awards. What happens then? Like now, a door gets kicked open or something. What happens then? Not saying that there's a,
Starting point is 02:55:11 you know, Some of y'all are dying to kick open doors at the racist white social clubs. I, some people are dying to do that. And some people are not. And some people, I agree with that.
Starting point is 02:55:19 I'm just saying, I, nobody thinks it's going to be an easy battle for her. But again, we don't know what her goal is. She could have just wanted to put out a country album, because that's where her heart was at the moment. Just reading you what they said. Salute.
Starting point is 02:55:33 There's going to be a lot more of that. There is. A lot more. Did you two get your little war battle together yet? Come on. What are y'all doing? Hey, you two. The lights getting old, niggas.
Starting point is 02:55:44 My brother got a sleeper already in the tuck for me. Well, can we play it? Yeah. Give me a little intro. I'm going back to Big Jersey. She don't give a fuck about your sleeper or Big Jersey. I know. Tell him.
Starting point is 02:56:02 Don't keep saying it to me. I'm not even listening to him. The artist, again. sleeper or big jersey I know tell him don't keep saying it to me listen to him the artists again song is love out loud Fuck holland, love out loud, now I'm ready Your secret's safe with me, just let it out Don't hold your girl up, I won't let you down I know it's hard to try to love me now Don't keep it quiet, you can love out loud Baby, let's just talk about it
Starting point is 02:56:45 We don't gotta overcomplicate it I understand your hesitations But your heart I don't plan to play with Reflections I see myself in you full of affection I gotta count you twice in my blessings Just let me be your peace, no more stressing Your secret's safe with me, let it out
Starting point is 02:57:16 Don't hold your guard up, I won't let you down I know it's hard to try to love me now Don't keep it quiet, you can love out loud Your secret's safe with me, just let it out Don't hold your guard up, I won't let you down I know it's hard to try to love me now Don't keep it quiet, you can love, love, love If I can't have you, then I don't want nobody
Starting point is 02:57:50 I waited all my life just to love somebody So if I had to choose, I'm choosing you Cause baby, I just want your body So tell me now, you want lovin' now Just let it flow, let it fall. Let it seep in you. Want to do all the things your last one ain't do. Want it perfect, not for certain. This is me and you. Your secret's right with me. Just let it out. Don't hold your guard up. I won't let you down I know it's hard to try to love me now
Starting point is 02:58:28 Don't keep it quiet, you can love out loud Your secret's safe with me, just let it out Don't hold your guard up, I won't let you down I know it's hard to try to love me now Don't keep it quiet. You can love out loud. That is the artist Love Out Loud. Yo, that was enough sleepers for the day, actually.
Starting point is 02:58:56 Fuck you. Right? Like, the sleeper segment has been kind of running long anyway. Like, everybody don't have to get it off. Okay, fine. Do you have something ready? No, she tried to play another song that I played. No, don't even, don't even.
Starting point is 02:59:10 The fact that I remembered, okay? No, I just told her we ran that play before in the huddle. You seen the huddle? I got to touch down off that before. No, you didn't. Like the dress. No, you didn't. No, that was mine.
Starting point is 02:59:23 I played that shit. The dress? Yeah. Okay. No, no didn't. Like the dress? No, you didn't. No, that was mine. I played that shit. The dress? Yeah. Okay. No, no, wait. Hold the fuck up. Uh-oh. You coming back with vigor?
Starting point is 02:59:33 I don't fucking do that shit. Oh. You got it? I do. Oh. Let me go look and see if it's something I played, though. Suck my fucking dick. It is not.
Starting point is 02:59:44 That's the name of it? It might be. It's You by The Hicks. I definitely didn't play anybody called The Hicks. Are you sure it's not Float by The Hicks? Float. That's what I meant. Oh, man.
Starting point is 02:59:58 She flustered by The Hicks. It's another fucking song on their show. You got it, baby. It's another fucking song on their... The path to closure is a narrow road Don't you know you're cold and lonely when she holds you? Don't you wish for me or you're hoping I will come through Why? All we do is try Can't you see I'm dry?
Starting point is 03:01:06 I ain't fucking lying All we do is try She's in your bed and getting cold And now you say you wish that I was there when we were older Wait now, you never knew that life would move so fast And now you're waking up and wondering where the time has passed Don't you know you're cold and lonely when she holds you? Don't you wish for me, you're hoping I will come through
Starting point is 03:01:50 Why, all we do is try is that is float by The Hicks. Sometimes it's good to just tap out. Yeah, right. Like, if a nigga get you in a compromising position and you can't breathe, you don't have to keep the fight going. Instead of turning purple, just go ahead and tap. Just go ahead and tap on the man.
Starting point is 03:02:36 Yeah, your whole face red. You're dying in front of us. Like, sometimes it's better to just live. You know, you show favoritism a lot. To who? Him. To who? Him. Over who? Me.
Starting point is 03:02:52 Y'all think that's true? Yes. Who y'all? Whoa. I'm asking the rest of the panel. Oh, I can agree on something. Is she think that's true? No.
Starting point is 03:03:00 Is she think that's true? I do. Lies. Of course y'all could band together. I agree with Mel on this one. You show favoritism, nigga, to Ish. Bars, you think that's true? In the sleeper battle?
Starting point is 03:03:15 Or in general? Both. In the sleeper battle, I would say no. In general, yeah, I think that uh relates to Ish's points much more I don't give a fuck about Ish is that favoritism or is that we just agree on the same shit sometimes both so it's a thin line in that category I think it's ill though I wasn't even talking about Ish I was talking about what they do in the UFC when someone has a choke hold on the opponent and they're on the ground that's going a little too far gasping for
Starting point is 03:03:44 air you're going a little too far. Gasping for air. You're going a little too far. Tap out. Tap out. Yeah, you don't have to keep fighting. You don't have to fight no more. No more. It's all right.
Starting point is 03:03:53 Oh, shit. They jumped. Oh, really? Yeah, she's got some hicks. She's been on your ass. Right? I think it's good, though. Brotherhood.
Starting point is 03:04:04 This show's brotherhood. Commodory. What you called it? Commodory. Whatever it is. I mean with an S, see? Look what you do. That was a test.
Starting point is 03:04:13 I ain't hear you. Commodory. That was a test. Commodory. That was a test to show that you do that. To laugh at your man. Can you please send me this? And favoritism of your other man.
Starting point is 03:04:21 Thank you. Because you know you can't find it anywhere, right? That's back to the bullshit. Yeah, that's bullshit. The skepticism of your other man. Thank you. Because you know you can't find it anywhere, right? To her. That's back to the bullshit. Yeah, that's bullshit. To her. That's fucked up. Okay, maybe you guys have special channels that I don't have access to. No, no, no.
Starting point is 03:04:33 I'm just saying you're right. Some of the music you can't find on stream. And Cocaine 80s is one of them. All of that shit you just can't get them. I thought it was because he takes the shit down. They're not an official group. They never released an official project. They just did this as a vibe
Starting point is 03:04:46 for a couple summers. It was like an EP. A couple EPs, like three of them. For a few summers. Then now they're gone. Why? Because it's James Fontleroy, Janae Aiko, Common Sense, and
Starting point is 03:05:01 No I.D. That's why. That group, what did you want? That's right on brand. Let it live. Let it just for, why not? Why put it out
Starting point is 03:05:13 and then take it back? For the art. Y'all just told me about for the art. Beyonce for the art, right? For the art. It's devastating though. Where did it go? It's devastating though. Wait a minute!
