Starting point is 00:10:54 On a donkey. He bought that shit to you personally on a donkey, yo. That was a good donkey. Man, sheesh. Yeah, great coffee, huh? Big parks in the building.
Starting point is 00:11:03 Big parks in the building. I'm here. He don't do that, he. I Park's in the building. Big Park's in the building. I'm here. I'm here. Oh, shit. E, don't do that, E. I need some of that coffee. I can hear you. You can hear him zooming in?

Starting point is 00:11:20 That's the most important thing. Absolutely. My man got an expensive hand today. You see, boy? I ain't got any sunglasses right now. Why you ain't got your baggy hoodie on right now. Why you ain't got a baggy hoodie on today? He went short sleeve today. It's still 30 degrees outside, nigga. Holy shit. Over the weekend, it was all-star weekend. Was it really? Yeah, I see. Was it? All-star weekend.
Starting point is 00:12:53 Yes, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. I was in the house on some just resting shit. After the jeweler. It's heavy. You had to rest your arm. You had to rest. I can't escape the narratives because of my friends. No.
Starting point is 00:13:10 What? It's because of my friends. It's us. It's us. It's because of y'all. How? I'm telling you, it's y'all. You have coined the poors.
Starting point is 00:13:17 I have not. You need to trademark it. I'm coining it. You have a drop that said, hide the money, y'all. With your broke ass. No, you know what? But that started as like a joke between friends. And now over the airwaves, like it's being manipulated by my audience.
Starting point is 00:13:33 So we do have to stop that. We got to stop that. We got to. We didn't start it. We, we. As a people. We speak French with you. Yo, he's down.
Starting point is 00:13:41 I'm not. He's down. He's not down like that. I'm not down with you. What's like that mean? The this. I'm not. He's down. I'm not down with you. What's like that mean? The this? Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:13:49 What are you talking about, nigga? So Friday was the, what happened? Where y'all want to start with the game? I didn't see the celebrity game. I caught a little bit of it. Saw the celebrity game. See my man get busy. Who?
Starting point is 00:14:02 Jocke and shooting everything he touch. Oh, Micah? Yeah. He was good shooting every fucking thing. Micah Parsons had like 40 points or something crazy like that. That's how you do it. I didn't put my phone out. I might have notes.
Starting point is 00:14:13 Got MVP, you know. I might have some notes. You let him win something. Oh, shit. You know, like defensive player of the year. Hey, listen. You know, that's all right. I don't want no sauce.
Starting point is 00:14:24 But now. Okay, the skills challenge. I want to start there. All right, that's Saturday night then. Yeah, I don't care about what happened Friday night. Cool. Friday night. I watched all of this.
Starting point is 00:14:32 Friday night, y'all was goofy out there. I'm going to try to lose 30 and play next year. In what? Okay. I represent us well. Okay. You hit those little hot spots? No, I'm going to get buckets.
Starting point is 00:14:46 Yeah, no, but those little five-point shit. I'm jocking like Michael. Yeah, but they got like the four-point spot. The hot spots. Yeah, you got to shoot from there. I don't got to do that. What's your plan to get in shape for that? Oh, shit.
Starting point is 00:14:55 Put that fucking candy down. Have I put the candy down? Oh, all right. You see what I sent you over the weekend? I did. Okay. Mom, thank you. It was a way to detox from a sugar addiction.
Starting point is 00:15:06 It's a detox sugar detox. It shows you what sugar is more addictive and all that shit. And you sent him the movie link, right? Yes. You'll find something to say. Still. He wasn't in the iPhone group chat. Thank you, Mel. Don't listen.
Starting point is 00:15:21 Don't even feed into this. Skills check. I also sent it to you. At that point, we're calling going through the phone. The green bubble pop up. Let me tell you something. In the dark, the green bubble pop right up. So you better be careful.
Starting point is 00:15:38 Get you a little privacy screen. Be safe. She got the good Trump card, though. It's work. All's work. Yeah. It's just work. It's work. It's just work. It's work.
Starting point is 00:15:50 I didn't even ask y'all that. Why y'all keep saying that? Skills. The skills challenge. Why did they make the thingamajiggy so big now? Because they tired of these motherfuckers getting up there and looking stupid. Niggas be spending 45 seconds trying to bounce the ball through it. So they decreased
Starting point is 00:16:05 the skills in the skills challenge yes for entertainment is what happened yes right and they couldn't even do
Starting point is 00:16:12 couldn't follow directions with that they had we had to weave in and out of the the stands and they niggas was going around
Starting point is 00:16:19 the wrong way no no stupid come back go this way like bro that's why they tell us shut up and dribble yo
Starting point is 00:16:24 I'm playing a little bit of racism okay No, no, stupid. Come back. Go this way. That's why they tell us shut up and dribble, yo. I'm playing. A little bit of racism. Okay. A little bit of racism. A little bit of racism. A little bit of racism, bae. It's a dash. Then I'm getting old, so they've got all of this high-tech, fancy shit on the court.
Starting point is 00:16:41 The floor. Hey, pause, man. Bring back hardwood. Bring it back. Yo, it's still basketball. Why the fuck are they on some video game shit, nigga? I'm 40. However old I am, my retinas start
Starting point is 00:16:55 fading. They're trying to kill the younger motherfuckers. I got to turn the brightness up on my screen now. Shit get different in your They have whole graphics and shit up there video display yeah but listen niggas is old watching this shit man
Starting point is 00:17:11 they turn the paint into they start putting niggas faces and they highlights in the paint oh man where is my tumble when you need them whatever happens I will kick you in your face okay okay when you need them. Mal, whatever happens. Negative, it's you, Joe. Oh, shit. Let's talk about dares.
Starting point is 00:17:25 I will kick you in your face. Okay. Oh, shit. Okay. All right. I guess it's my turn today. You want to text over the weekend. You want to text some shit.
Starting point is 00:17:38 Yeah, that shit was just a lot going on. It was a lot. It was a lot. Yeah, it's too much. The technology could be over-techie, especially if niggas our age. I'm still getting over the in-season tournament.
Starting point is 00:17:49 Them loud-ass courts. I'm saying with the stupid-ass courts. It was a little too much. Come on, let's go to the next day. We got mad shit to get to in the All-Star Weekend. Three-point shootout was the next one, right? Yes. The dunk contest was first. No, it was never first.
Starting point is 00:18:06 It's last. It should have been first. It should have been. It should have been on Thursday. You are correct. It should have been Tuesday. The dunk contest is done to me. Well, wait.
Starting point is 00:18:15 We on three-point. We on three-point contest. We on three-point contest. We on the order. That was the only highlight. That was the highlight of the entire week. Of the entire week, yeah. Three-point contest.
Starting point is 00:18:24 That's it. But that speaks to the game, too. It does. Like, I was watching. only highlight that was the highlight of the entire entire week yeah three-point contest that's it but that speaks to the game too it does like i was watching i will i'll tell you about it when we cover the actual all-star game but the three-point contest was the only thing that they actually took seriously look like true like the actual players who were involved that's what they wanted to win and there's actual stars in the yeah because that is basketball now is about the three-point shot it is so fuck the dunk
Starting point is 00:18:46 fuck the skill fuck who you can bounce pass and do all this other shit can you hit threes right to them if I win the three point contest
Starting point is 00:18:53 that that's like that means something the rest of this shit is nothing I'm not even competing I agree that's why I try to start with the dunk contest because the finale
Starting point is 00:19:02 is the ta-da-da-da like it's the three point contest is the show remember like if you won the dunk contest dog that the finale is the ta-da-da-da. Like, it's the three-point contest is the show. Remember, like, if you won the dunk contest, dog, that shit was something when we was young. Michael Jordan versus Dominique Spud Webb. Like, you know what I'm saying? Now I'd be like, man, fuck it.
Starting point is 00:19:14 I don't even know who these niggas are at all. I'm like, who? They specifically are bringing McClung up from the G League, bro, because he's the most. He's just going to make us talk about the dunk contest. He's going to. Go ahead. They made him come up and be in the All-Star
Starting point is 00:19:31 weekend because he's probably the most prolific dunker in both. He won last year. And this year. That's another way you got to defend your title. Last year, he was on the Sixers for a small portion, but through the G League, and now you're back in the G League. So, yeah, you still got to come up.
Starting point is 00:19:46 Yeah. So, I mean, I think it's trash. I love the three-point contest, but, I mean, once I saw Dame Lillard was, like, trying to be for real, it sucked the fun out of that for me. It's like Dame Lillard is still Dame Lillard. Yeah. And he proved it.
Starting point is 00:20:04 Hey, all y'all go up here and tie with 26. Yeah, go ahead. Y'all have fun. And then I'll take care of it. And then when Jalen Brunson lost, I was like, oh, that's in a bad tight. He was looking good through three. If he hit the last shot, he'd have had 26. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:20:17 He'd have been up there, too. Yeah. The last two buckets. I know you. I was like, come on, Jalen. But, I mean, the three-point contest was fun, and it was. It was. It was. It was. It was. It was. It was. It was. It was. It was. It was. It was. It was. It was. It was. It was. It was. It was. It was. It was. It was. It was. It was. It was. It was. It was. It was. It was. It was. It was. It was. It was. It was. It was. It was. It was. It was. It was. It was. It was. It was. It was. It was. It was. It was. It was. It was. It was. It was. It was. It come on, Jay. But I mean, the three-point contest was fun, and it was entertaining. It was mad competitive.
Starting point is 00:20:25 To you guys' point. Bro, we had four. They didn't even make it to the second round. They had normally three advanced. Yes. Four people tied with 26. They had to do a sudden death 30-second round for everybody just to get to the finals. That don't happen.
Starting point is 00:20:38 So that tells you how they took this shit serious, and that was the most competitive event of the weekend. Did you guys like the gender wars? I was about to say, are we being misogynist today? I am. I'm being very misogynist. Yeah? Yes.
Starting point is 00:20:49 Never, though. You want to do it? Yeah. Can we do it, Mel? Yeah, sure. Knock yourselves out. There's gender wars everywhere. All right.
Starting point is 00:20:56 Steph Curry versus Sabrina. Three-point contest. I like it. Get it out of here. Get it out of here get it out of here I know I'm gonna catch hell I liked it too I liked it
Starting point is 00:21:11 I liked it I thought listen if we love the three point contest then I think they should go further with it though like bring more
Starting point is 00:21:18 WNBA players over and make it a whole thing I think they plan to listen they waiting on that Kaylin Clark girl to be finished so they can really sell some tickets. For sure.
Starting point is 00:21:27 My thing is, if this is to highlight the WNBA, is what they're trying to do, bring attention to them, the WNBA has an all-star game too. Do it there. But they don't receive nowhere near the money.
Starting point is 00:21:40 And that's how you do it. If you have your big name, Steph Curry, say I'm playing in it. I'm challenging her in the WNBA All-Star game. Guess what? Everybody's going to watch that. Your sponsors are going to pick that up because it's Steph Curry.
Starting point is 00:21:53 Sure. They're going to watch NBA All-Star weekend regardless. But I think they wanted to slowly bring it in. I think the, yeah. Because I don't think they thought she was going to do what she did. I think they did know. They knew exactly what she was going to do there. That's what she does.
Starting point is 00:22:05 No, they know she can shoot. I don't know what her with the bright lights against the most prolific shooter of all time, that she loses by one shot. I don't think that they... No, I'm dead ass. I don't know that they think she could do that. From the man three-point line, she was shooting from the male three-point line. She shoots from it normally.
Starting point is 00:22:23 She shoots from half court. I'm just saying with that level of consistency I don't know if they thought that and so I think they're going
Starting point is 00:22:29 to roll this out into the female one you get what I'm saying I was just having fun guessing all the people that girl looked like because I wasn't really familiar with her
Starting point is 00:22:37 we talked about it on the show during the season you know how many people I talk about I'm not familiar with at all you're supposed to go
Starting point is 00:22:43 to the games when your dad was here. They was killing, she was killing all year. But it's cool. She look like young Julia Roberts. Like Julia Roberts' niece. I see that. Little bit of Matt Damon's cousin.
Starting point is 00:23:01 Y'all ain't see it? I'm with you with the Julia It was definitely some bad news They go with the Goodwill Hunt What's wrong with Julia But anyway so they They struck this woman out there And she Goes
Starting point is 00:23:19 Runs through the first rack Bow Bow Bow Bow Then she got to the second rack Bow Bow
Starting point is 00:23:24 Bow Bow She's going crazy Oh they trying to oh I gotta listen to Kenny Smith and Reggie Miller try their best to give some suspense to this thing but she was shooting like she just smoked that shit if you're not going against Wardell yeah you're going against him it's really him and what I love about him he always looks so cool and calm. When you got that type of rifle on you, he didn't give a fuck about nothing that she was doing. He gave a big hug. Oh, my God.
Starting point is 00:23:54 You did great. I'm smoking now. That was awesome. Now watch this. Yay for the game. Now move, bitch. Now move. And then what'd he do?
Starting point is 00:24:05 No, bitch. Now move. And did what he do. No, no. I think he beat her by one on the strength. Yes. He might have. That's what I, yo, if he would have dropped, if he would have went up there and put 33 up, 35, 40, it would have been think pieces about that shit. Yeah, he beat her.
Starting point is 00:24:19 And that's what I said. I'm like, bruh. The Neanderthals would have came out. Yes. You got to take it easy. You think he tempered his performance. I 100% think bruh. The Neanderthals when it came out. Yes. You gotta take it easy. You think he tempered his performance? I 100% think he did.
Starting point is 00:24:28 This is Steph Curry we're talking about. Yo, dog, the crazy part with him, yo, is the nigga shoot so good he ain't even into the man competition.
Starting point is 00:24:37 I'm gonna let y'all get one. Listen, what do y'all think about, listen, first of all, Kenny Smith was off that Taylorport. I don't care what you thought about sabrina or steph curry kenny smith was off that teleport it was telling the truth and reggie miller was trying he was trying his best yo we on tv we got
Starting point is 00:24:57 sponsors with ads please we got the we got the script we supposed We supposed to try to big this up. That nigga was gone. He was on his Joe shit. He was on his Joe shit. I think we're going to start talking. Versus women in the three-point contest. We put the best four NBA players against the best WNBA players. Shoot or shoot, and let's see it. Even playing field.
Starting point is 00:25:19 There's no 10-foot rim. Oh, see, that was the first thing that was funny. And let's knock it down. Well, according to you, you want her just playing with dolls, right? No, I want her to shoot from where she shoots from. No, she does shoot threes in the game, not from there. Caitlin Corden. All right, all right, all right.
Starting point is 00:25:38 Wait, so that was the funny thing about Kenny Smith. He was so gone off the Taylor port that he started arguing against his own point his point was yo shooters shoot so when she was getting busy I don't care about nothing else going on shooter shoot put him anywhere in the world and they're gonna get it done by the time it was over he was arguing that she should be on the same from where she was shooting. That don't make sense. She should have shot from her line.
Starting point is 00:26:07 I think she should have shot from her line. She should have shot from the women's line. That would have been a fair contest. I still root for Sabrina. I still root for Sabrina. We all are rooting for Sabrina. No. She should have shot from the three-point line
Starting point is 00:26:22 at the women's shoot front. Why are you putting those boundaries on her? That's not a boundary. She wants what the game is. She wanted to shoot. They have a smaller ball, don't they? Oh, shit. WNBA ball is smaller.
Starting point is 00:26:34 She shot from the line. There's a women's team and there's a men's team. For a reason. Oh, shit. Shooter shoot. Isn't that what you said? Yeah, but they shoot from where they shoot from. Good job, Sabrina.
Starting point is 00:26:50 Don't let any man put boundaries on you. Yo. He's wild. Kenny Smith, you cannot say that on the air while they're doing that. Yeah, they're trying to do something. Yeah, they have a goal here. Yeah, there's a plan that somebody should have tapped you and told you about. Somebody should have cut the mic.
Starting point is 00:27:07 He was probably kicking the shit out of him under the table. Like, yo, dog. Dog, they did that for the whole broadcast. Yeah, he was gone. He was gone. Kid, he was gone. He had a little bit too much fun out there. Now, where do you guys stand on this, the three of you?
Starting point is 00:27:21 I told you. I mean, I get what they're trying to do. I just think the way to do it would be... Girls' hands are smaller than ours. No, the basketball is fine. But the range, I think if she could shoot from pro range, let her shoot. Nope. Nope.
Starting point is 00:27:35 He almost did it. He almost got me. I was working. That boy good. What do y'all think about Kenny Smith saying that the girls basketball is smaller? It is. It is. And that their hands are smaller.
Starting point is 00:27:53 They are. They are. They shoot with a smaller ball. She should shoot with a smaller ball. Yeah. Yeah. But I like shooting at the same distance. If she wants to shoot that shit from half court and it's a competition of them shooting from half court,
Starting point is 00:28:06 let them rock. Yeah. Pro woman. I'm woman's rights, bro. What's wrong with you? Mel? Mel, you good? Yeah, no, I'm fine.
Starting point is 00:28:18 Oh, you just did your gym to the camera thing. No, no, no. I didn't know. No, you did. I appreciate that. I appreciate you saying that. You don't wishy-washy because sometimes you'll argue
Starting point is 00:28:27 that Ish is down for women's rights. Don't try to paint Ish like that. Because sometimes he is. And sometimes he's not. And sometimes he's not. So you all are always... You trying to...
Starting point is 00:28:38 Boy. Come on, get it out. If you're sometimes down for women's rights and then sometimes you're not down for quote-unquote women's rights, aren't you always down for women's rights and then sometimes you're not down for quote unquote women's rights,
Starting point is 00:28:45 aren't you always down for women's rights? You just don't agree with certain things? Take that, Mel. I love my friends, but if my friends be wrong, I can tell my friends that they wronged. That don't mean I'm anti my friends. It's just that on that particular thing,
Starting point is 00:28:58 I think you wrong. Smoked it. Yeah. Muffin. Muffin. It's the hoodie. Buy the hoodie. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:29:06 That's that that it's done that yahoo whatever yahoo that's an idiot yo alright so what else
Starting point is 00:29:15 what else alright then the dunk contest yeah yo first of all it's over well yes lower the rim
Starting point is 00:29:23 word so at this point y'all ain't trying to y'all ain't being. Lower the rim. Word. At this point, y'all ain't being competitive. Lower the rim. Banned jumping over things. Before we get to whatever y'all are trying to say, that audience out there, y'all need to be reprimanded for what y'all did when those judges were announced. That's what I got written in my notes.
Starting point is 00:29:43 Who were the judges? Yo, them niggas was naming off Stacks, our first judge. Nine-time Defensive Player of the Year. Seven-time All-Star. You know him as the glove. Gary Payton. Yo, they did that for the glove. I was sitting there like, yo, that's Gary Payton.
Starting point is 00:30:06 They got to the next thing. It just kept getting worse. This nigga was from the 70s. Nah, the next one was Indiana Pacer legend. And I'm like. Oh, yeah, Dale Davis. Antonio Davis. No, it wasn't.
Starting point is 00:30:16 No. I forgot who it was. Fred Jones. Oh, Fred Jones. They shit on Fred Jones. I shit on Fred Jones. They was like. When they announced him.
Starting point is 00:30:28 Then they went to the 70s They was like This guy was an ABA Hall of Star I was like Uh oh You better cover your ears You better have Dr. J They was like
Starting point is 00:30:36 Don't make some noise For Darnell Sam Niggas was like Yo I was at home doing the same shit. Nah, that was fucked up. What the fuck is this? So then it got to the end with Dominique.
Starting point is 00:30:54 Oh, no, it was Mitch Richmond too. It was quiet for Mitch Richmond. It was quiet for Mitch. I'm sorry, buddy. Listen, it wasn't so loud for Dominique. He got the most. Yeah, but he got a... All right, cool.
Starting point is 00:31:14 So that's what y'all did to the judges. And now, stupid Nick fan me sitting in the bed. They paying over to fucking Jacoby Toppin. He's stretching I'm a Knick fan I know he just started getting burned when the whole team went down they said
Starting point is 00:31:34 and now they couldn't even think of nothing from the Knicks he eat Twizzlers he eat Twizzlers on Tuesdays. His brother's a pacer. Make some noise for Jacoby. Top it, nigga.
Starting point is 00:31:55 Flatline. Can hear a pin drop. Nobody made a peep. Nigga, I started trying to clap loud at home. Come on, nigga. Come on. So they did that to him. Then Jalen Brown was there. Cool.
Starting point is 00:32:09 People know Jalen Brown. Great. Mack McClung, we seen you last year. We know that you here to kind of save the day. Cool. First round come. Jacoby had enough of it. He gonna go, go, go, go. Killing that shit.
Starting point is 00:32:24 30. 41. 41. 41. 41. But look, Gary Payton, every time y'all look at his face, he. Let me push the button. Yo, yo, that nigga Jacoby Toppin,
Starting point is 00:32:38 they put his head by the backboard, and he was like 27, 29. I was like, oh, shit. This shit is rigged. Then he talked about something. Uh-oh, he's wearing the sneakers that his brother wore last year. Oh, my way. Way.
Starting point is 00:32:55 We barely know your brother, nigga. Way to fuck with Obie, nigga. We barely know your brother. Wait. Why are they telling us that he got Obie's sneakers on Who cares Yo We don't care
Starting point is 00:33:10 Oscar Robertson Oh my god So anyway Jacoby didn't make it To the thingamajig So then Mack Lung out there Just
Starting point is 00:33:20 Mack McClung out there Just jumping over Anybody Anything He putting him out there But Jalen Brown Got some out there just jumping over anybody, anything. He putting them out there. But Jalen Brown got some name recognition,
Starting point is 00:33:28 so I'm waiting to see him. I must have been on my phone or something, but by the time I looked up. Oh, they missed his first dunk, I think. They didn't even put the shit on TV.
Starting point is 00:33:38 The camera panned off real quick. They zoomed up and showed like the overhead. Ooh, we made it to Boston Court. That was a slap in the face, Jalen Brown.
Starting point is 00:33:44 Hey, pan on me. That was we made it to Boston Court. That was a slap in the face, Jalen Brown. Hey, hey, get paying on me. That was some complete bullshit that they did. That he did or that they did? That they did. They co-inspired together. OK. Jalen Brown didn't have to do shit. He could have went out there and tied his shoe and made it to the next round.
Starting point is 00:34:00 And made it to the final. Poor Jacoby Topping. He did. Poor Jacoby. Yeah, so I look down at my phone. I was eating some shit. and by the time I look I see my man Jason Tatum y'all know I'm Tatum gang
Starting point is 00:34:09 he come out there cold smooth as ever black and white he looking fire big hounds big hounds big hounds
Starting point is 00:34:15 big tooth yeah come on stop playing with Jason Tatum and then they bring out fucking Kai Sinet so now I just gotta chill a little bit let me get my hate music ready
Starting point is 00:34:24 let me get my hate music ready. Let me get my hate music ready. Hold up, man. This little hate. My man Zorro from the Heat put a hat on, dunked. Oh, yeah. If a nigga hatin', call him Joe but pussy. If a nigga hatin', call him Joe but pussy.
Starting point is 00:34:40 Sorry, man. The hate is in me. The hate is in me. Listen, so they bring Kassanet at. Kassanet. Cool. Fly. He's on live. He's streaming.
Starting point is 00:34:52 I support the youth movement. Bridge the gap. Yeah. But. I want to live in a world where the streamers and everyone else can get along. I'm waiting to hear it. But, you know, listen, I'm not too old. I remember Blake Griffin dragging Nakia out onto the court.
Starting point is 00:35:24 One round before, someone jumped over Shaq. Yeah. First dunk. First dunk. I done seen these niggas jump over Taco Fall. I seen niggas jump over a whole row of niggas. You seen a Toppin jump over a Toppin. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:35:42 They're pretty tall. So, Kyson that comes out, and he ain't the tallest of brothers. But I'm like, all right, cool. And then he sits down. And I said, oh, shit, these niggas is playing in my face right now. Hold on. Now y'all are playing in my face. I thought they might do some flashes.
Starting point is 00:35:57 I thought he was going to throw him the ball. Then Jalen Brown, bum ass, got the nerve to miss the first dunk. He missed the dunk. He missed the whole ball. He was going, ugh. Wait. Jalen Brown. Keep going.
Starting point is 00:36:10 $320 million Jalen Brown. He missed the whole dunk. At the end, got the nerve to try to hit. No, he tried to hit his D Brown. No, no. He landed. When he landed. He landed.
Starting point is 00:36:21 He landed and tried to hit the D Brown. I did it, y'all. So then when he made the dunk, he still tried to get that bum-ass D-Brown on what is wrong with these people. That was terrible. No, no. What's the funny part? Listen to Vince Carter, who's arguably a top three dunker in history, trying to articulate these bum-ass dunks and be politically correct. He's like, yeah, you know.
Starting point is 00:36:44 It was, you know. Yeah politically correct. He's like, yeah, you know, it was, you know, yeah, something. He dunked. Like, yo, I'm like, okay,
Starting point is 00:36:49 bitch, you got it, my nigga. Like, he wanted to diss the shit out of them. Like, yo, he paid homage to Dee Brown.
Starting point is 00:36:54 I'm like, no, he didn't. No, he didn't. First off, he went like this first. Like,
Starting point is 00:37:00 he was pumping the sneakers like Dee Brown had, but he didn't have pumps on. You can get pumps still. I got them. You can get them. They make them. He just went down there and squeezed.
Starting point is 00:37:10 I know he not doing that. I don't want to totally shit on Jalen Brown. I do. Because, I mean, the dunk contest does need name recognition, right? Sure. Like we have been saying. There's two things it needs. You got to show up, though.
Starting point is 00:37:21 It's name recognition and competitiveness. Why has it lost its luster? Because there's no things it needs. You got to show up, though. It's name recognition and competitiveness. Why has it lost its luster? Because there's no stars in it. Because the stars won't participate. Because LeBron said, I'm not doing that shit. Not just him. No, that's unfair, too. That's where it started.
Starting point is 00:37:34 I don't think so. I totally disagree with that. I know Steve and they keep saying that. We've been saying that for years. I totally disagree with that. I think that the luster, that don't mean that they can't. Because the best dunk contest of recent was Aaron Gordon and Zach Levine. Yeah, for sure.
Starting point is 00:37:49 And they went at it twice. And those dunks were creative. They were fire. Fire fire. But it still didn't have the same luster as when the stars are participating. Yeah, actually, I don't, with the stars thing, like some of the more, remember Dee Brown wasn't really a star. Harold Minor wasn't really a star.
Starting point is 00:38:04 Like there was non-stars. But there were stars in there. They just happened to win. Sp d brown wasn't really a star harold minor wasn't really a star like there was there was stars in there they just happened web wasn't a star like it was just something interesting that happened seven but there was stars in there the stars still you're right you're right i think that the zach the zach and aaron gordon dunk contest is another large part of why stars are reluctant to do it zach Zach Levine did all that shit out there and lost twice. Yeah. But Aaron Gordon was doing some shit. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:38:30 They both was going crazy. They were both going crazy. Nah, they was going crazy. They were. They was going crazy. They was going crazy. I think- I think Iguodala lost
Starting point is 00:38:38 when he did the best dunk to Nate Robinson. Like, it happened. Oh, yeah, that was a mess, too. That was a robbery. When Nate Robinson- They gave it to him because he was shorter and he did the
Starting point is 00:38:45 Superman. Performative. That's part of it though. He didn't nowhere near the best dunks. You right. Mac McClung out there looking like fucking Baptist McCaffrey. Yo, this white boy just jumping off or bouncing off of shit with his pug
Starting point is 00:39:03 nose. That nigga look like a pug. Yo. Right? He jumped over two whites. He look like a French bulldog in the face. He stacked up the whites and jumped over them. Nah. We up, man.
Starting point is 00:39:17 We up. Yo, Phil, what's wrong with you, yo? Nah, for real. He was getting his shit off. Like, look at him. Look at him. And now, look what you made me do, Jalen Brown and Kaisa Natt on Black History Month. Not really Kaisa Natt, Jalen Brown.
Starting point is 00:39:28 On Black History Month. Y'all got me. When I seen Jalen Brown do that bullshit, boy, was I rooting for Matt McClung the whole rest of the way. Yo. Hey, please get this nigga out of here since he want to jump over Kaisa Natt sitting down. Barely. And miss.
Starting point is 00:39:43 That was more of a streaming thing. And get to leave and go home to Bernice. Get him the fuck out of here. He should have jumped over Bernice. What are we doing? Let her stand on that hole of ball like that. 50.
Starting point is 00:39:54 Facts. Quick. I only got seated though. She walked out 50. You got it big dog. 50. Impact New York. I'm watching that show. I'm going to start it. Impact New York put I'm watching that show.
Starting point is 00:40:05 I'm going to start it. But Impact New York put a little clip out. Well, Bernice posted the clip. It's Bernice's daughter talking about something. Yeah, got some shit to do next weekend. I need you to babysit. Bernice looked at her like, do I look like a fucking grandmother to you?
Starting point is 00:40:26 Look at me. These new age grandmas don't want to watch nobody. What is Impact New York? That's new reality shit? Impact. They have Impact Atlanta and Impact New York. Okay. And Impact New York centers around all the young girls that are rapping and trying to get their shit popping.
Starting point is 00:40:46 Okay. Should have brought up Bernice. Yeah. And Bernice is not watching. Girl. Smoke a hookah. I'm out. But anyway, back to the dunk contest.
Starting point is 00:40:58 What? Back to the dunk contest, right? We done with Baptist McCaffrey. What's wrong with your brain? For real. Christian is the only other white boy I see that's like, as a black man, you just got to be like, all right, they got one.
Starting point is 00:41:16 They got one. You all right, yo? But Mack McClung was out there. I was like, okay, they got one in the pot. They have one in the possible now. They do. As far as the All-Star game, I personally am working
Starting point is 00:41:31 on a petition. We're only looking for seven million signatures. Right? I never want to see Luka Doncic and the Joker in another All-Star game ever again.
Starting point is 00:41:46 Please sign the petition if it comes to your city. I have never seen two niggas not give any type of fuck about that. Now, listen, y'all are all All-Stars, so I know, rest in peace, mom, but nobody cares. But them two niggas care a lot less than everybody else. Yo, the Joker started complaining to a ref
Starting point is 00:42:15 in the all-star game when they threw the ball off his back. He went to the ref. You know I'm the fucking MVP. You know who the fuck I am? You ever let some shit like that happen again? Hit me with a ball You know I'm the fucking MVP. You know who the fuck I am? You ever let some shit like that happen again? Hit me with a ball again, I'ma turn up.
Starting point is 00:42:29 Yeah. My brother's about to be my brother. That nigga Luka tried to dunk, caught the spasm, but I didn't even care about that. That happens to the best of us. When they inbounded that ball and Luka Doncic took one dribble by the
Starting point is 00:42:46 opposing free throw line and shot that shit I said oh wait a second these niggas are playing with me these niggas have no respect for my fucking files for nothing he did that shit and then went, checked out the tweet. He talking about two for one. Nigga, I'll fucking snuff the shit out of you. I'm going to snuff the shit out of Luka Donji. I just seen him drop 40 on my team two weeks ago. What are we doing right now?
Starting point is 00:43:16 Niggas don't care. He said it. I don't care that you don't care. But that level of not caring is disrespectful. It is. When you're selling a product for mad bread, them all-star tickets don't be cheap. Man, they said Adam Silver was tight.
Starting point is 00:43:31 I could believe it. It wasn't like intentional comedy? No. No. This ain't the Harlem Globetrotters. A lot of times them niggas don't even really want to play. That's what I mean. Because they're not getting paid.
Starting point is 00:43:40 I know. That's what I mean. So isn't it like, that's what I thought. No, the league is now filled with like young men divas very very rich ones
Starting point is 00:43:50 niggas that grew up in the iPhone era them niggas is gamers yeah like that's why the NBA court looked like that
Starting point is 00:43:57 all the video games that's why Kaisenat and all the streaming world is out there like that's what the NBA is now so these niggas ain't trying to do nothing.
Starting point is 00:44:07 I went back and started watching some of the old All-Star clips, like from the 80s and from the 90s. Nothing is driving you to play outside of competitive nature. Back in the day, it was like, we didn't get to see all these people on the court. It used to be exciting. Playing against each other. And some of them niggas really hated each other.
Starting point is 00:44:26 Bring back the days, nigga, I saw Magic Johnson go in the game and bleed. What are we talking about? You want to talk about suspense? I see Karl Malone like, Oh,
Starting point is 00:44:41 shit. You want to talk about the tone of the game Changing Holy shit I saw that It's crazy You know you remember that I definitely remember He checked in that whole stadium
Starting point is 00:45:01 Holy shit Where is this about to go I saw Michael Jordan come back no wonder he made that last shot I saw Jordan
Starting point is 00:45:15 come back I might have been at that all-star all-star weekend that all-star game when Mike came back and him and Kobe had that shit
Starting point is 00:45:23 going on what else we seen not much fly shit we seen the AI versus Kobe shit in DC That all-star game. When Mike came back and him and Kobe had that shit going on. What else we seen? Not much fly shit we seen. The AI versus Kobe shit in D.C. was my favorite. I was there. Oh, D.C. I was there. How was the game?
Starting point is 00:45:35 It was on and popping. It was on and popping. I just had to find out wherever Iverson wasn't going to be. And I'm out. I'm lit. Fiesta had'm out. I'm lit. Fiesta had just dropped. It was lit.
Starting point is 00:45:51 Those were good old days, boy. What? I was at All-Star Weekend in Philly. LA. They did it at LA mad times. That's the other thing about All-Star Weekend. I told you it's about Indianapolis. Nothing against Indianapolis. You was right. Nah, they said that shit was a ghost town. You wasend. I told you it was about Indianapolis. Nothing against Indianapolis.
Starting point is 00:46:05 You was right. Nah, they said that shit was a ghost town. You was right. They said that shit was a ghost town. Where? In Indianapolis. Nothing. They said it was a ghost town.
Starting point is 00:46:12 None of the thotties in Indianapolis. And the weather was fucked up on top of that. Yeah. It's a bad combination. I think they need to start picking. Well, next year it's in the Bay. Careful. Like.
Starting point is 00:46:25 The Bay is lit. Yeah. Careful. The Bay. Careful. The Bay is lit. Careful. The Bay is lit. The Bay is lit. I'm just saying. The Bay's got issues right now. They ain't going to cross the bridge. The bridge going to cross. The bridge going to cross.
Starting point is 00:46:37 I love the Bay, though. I love the Bay. I love it out here. You guys haven't been to the Bay in a minute. The Bay is different. I've never been. It is different. What do never been. It is different. What do you mean it's great?
Starting point is 00:46:45 What do you mean? It's just got some real serious issues right now. So it's like... It always has. I think it's real serious. I'm sure I've heard it's gotten worse, but... That's what I mean. Man, we talking about the rich boy, man.
Starting point is 00:46:54 Shut up. Yo, look. See? Downtown and shit like that. Yeah, exactly. Right there. Wait. That's the narrative we put.
Starting point is 00:47:02 Yeah. You walked right into that shit. You walked right into that shit. That's it. Asshole. We ain't talking about them niggas. Because people keep talking about that shit. I was like, see? Look at your face.
Starting point is 00:47:14 No, you was educating me. I bet. On what? You always leave me by myself, nigga. I'm not with you. You are. I'm not. Maybe I work harder.
Starting point is 00:47:23 Maybe I might get that sentiment. Swooping on. Yeah. It's cool, though. No, but yo, back to the All-Star game. I'm not. Maybe I work harder. Maybe I might get that sentiment. It's cool, though. No, but yo, back to the All-Star game. My takeaway, it's just really, really, like I used to hate on it. I can't even hate on this shit no more. It's a three-point league for real. No, it is.
Starting point is 00:47:39 Bro, it's an All-Star game. I counted four alley-oops. Really? In the All-Star game. The whole first quarter used to be alley-oops yeah niggas out there showing off like this is when
Starting point is 00:47:48 I could get it off I counted four let me tell you something I could tear my meniscus off this bitch I make 300 million
Starting point is 00:47:58 I'm shooting that bitch from half court I'm not running I'm not risking tearing my ACL for them I'm not doing none of that shit yo that's gotta stop I agree I know I'm not running. I'm not risking tearing my ACL for them. I'm not doing none of that shit.
Starting point is 00:48:05 Yo, that's gotta stop. I agree. Nobody has ever injured themselves in the All-Star game. It's never happened. Why you think everybody don't play the Olympics no more? When Paul George broke his leg, dog niggas was like, I'm done. You remember how that shit looked?
Starting point is 00:48:21 The Olympics and All-Star weekend. I'm not disagreeing. I agree. I think you should do it, period. Yeah. Because you owe it to the fans to give them a product, in my opinion. They could argue otherwise. They don't owe the fans shit. I think the fans are what pay your salary and want to come see you play.
Starting point is 00:48:40 I think we owe it to the fans. I'm not disagreeing. They got to incentivize that shit somehow. Well, not just that. Well, look, listen. This is an argument I had with somebody a couple years ago where they were telling me three-pointers are more exciting than dunks. Now.
Starting point is 00:48:53 And I'm like, you out your mind. That's true. But to your point, that's what the fans want to see. That's true. Today, they like to see a nigga pull up. Halliburton went out and hit five out of six three-pointers. He was buggered. He was going crazy.
Starting point is 00:49:04 And he hit five three-pointers in 92 secondsging He was going crazy And he hit five three pointers In 92 seconds He was going crazy Like every pass Just boom And this is what Yeah but they didn't cheer For Mitch Richmond
Starting point is 00:49:12 Because it was Yeah different time Different league Bro I'm just looking here Mitch couldn't shoot like that They shot a total They shot a total Look no Mitch is rich
Starting point is 00:49:20 Don't do that to Mitch He can't shoot like them If he was in the league today He couldn't fuck with no Mitch Halliburton can't shoot better Than Mitch He can't shoot like them If he was in the league today He can't fuck with no Mitch Halliburton can't shoot better than Mitch Richmond All that I don't know Mitch was nice Mitch was crazy nice
Starting point is 00:49:32 Crazy nice Bruh Any version of Warriors Mitch Fucking Kings Kings Mitch Don't do that to Mitch yo Mitch is Mitch
Starting point is 00:49:44 Oh I'm not disrespecting Mitch. But no, I'm just saying, I looked it up. The nigga shot a total of 168 three-pointers. It's the highest. Highest ever. Scoring game ever. That's the focus.
Starting point is 00:49:53 And Adam Silver ran right to his phone and put out a little statement. Get rid of the three-point line next year. In his lawyer voice, which said, lawyer voice which said just to dispel the thinking that the league is satisfied or or it's incentivized to run up scoring we are not what we want is a competitive game and that's why they tried to change the model where they would uh plan per quarter or per half. I'm glad they stopped that shit. That shit was whack. All of that, we're drafting two captains. That shit was whack.
Starting point is 00:50:31 They were trying to make it because one side was stacked. So they were trying to even it out a little bit more. Nigga, one side was stacked this year. Yeah, but they were just- Did you see that West team? And look what happened, though. I know, now that's different. That's different.
Starting point is 00:50:43 But on paper- On paper, the West team was the greatest all-star team I've ever seen. I know. Now that's different. That's different. But on paper On paper the West team was the greatest All-Star team I've ever seen. I was coming in here to write down hey if the Dream Team walk in the gym
Starting point is 00:50:50 and the West All-Stars walk in the gym they getting blown out. The Dream Team's going to have a hard time. It's a game. I was ready to say that. It wouldn't be a game.
Starting point is 00:50:57 But like my dad always says pick the team with the guards on it. Basketball you live and team with the guards on it. Basketball, you live and die with the guards. And the East
Starting point is 00:51:08 had a lot of guards. That's what Pop said? He always says that. Really? He says you live and die with a great point guard. If you don't have a point guard,
Starting point is 00:51:17 you don't have nothing. So the East did have Donovan Mitchell, Halliburton, Jalen Brunson, Trey Young. They had the guards. Damn,
Starting point is 00:51:25 the East guards are so stacked, Trey didn't even make the team. And you had Dame Lillard? And Dame that decided you know what? This divorce shit has been enough on my mind at home. If I would remember some of this shit, I would fucking bet.
Starting point is 00:51:41 Dame was out there pulling up from fuck you. You know how it is when, I can't even say. Yeah. You know you coming in there with the lunchbox
Starting point is 00:51:52 just focused. I'm about to, I'm about to do this because who the fuck she thought I was? I'll remind you. Let me just show you. I does this right here
Starting point is 00:52:00 and you'll see. Yeah, sometimes you got to remind them and doing that you remind yourself. Just go ahead and do it
Starting point is 00:52:06 that nigga took three dribbles stopped that half court and was like oh y'all thought I was yeah y'all back there what he hit that shit
Starting point is 00:52:13 over Paul George again Paul George is just always around when Dame is getting that shot off yeah the all star game was cool I never want to see
Starting point is 00:52:24 Luka and the Joker out there again. Ever, ever, ever again. And you know what I did enjoy? I enjoyed seeing Durant, Steph Curry, and LeBron James not give a fuck about Luka Doncic. That felt good. The Niggas don't give a fuck about him.
Starting point is 00:52:41 Why are they supposed to give a fuck about him? There's team and league and scoring. So? And there's teammates. Camaraderie, maybe? I mean, he's a future face
Starting point is 00:52:52 of the league. Maybe. He's got all types of records. The guy is nice. He's torched some of them. I mean,
Starting point is 00:52:59 there's that welcoming committee. Joe, you can rap, right? Yes. Think Jay-Z feels any type of way when you step in that booth?
Starting point is 00:53:07 Yes. You don't. I think that's why he won't call me in the booth. And you my man. I think that's why he hasn't called me in the booth. Okay.
Starting point is 00:53:15 Yeah, nigga. It's me in here. See, that's the thing about me, bitch. Yo, we not going off on your narcissism. We got it, bro. Wait, but see, another narrative. I was giving an example.
Starting point is 00:53:25 This is not my narcissism. It's your doubt. You're my man. When Lil Baby steps in the booth, Jay-Z don't give a fuck. He don't. Well, say that then, nigga. I'll take it off.
Starting point is 00:53:38 Say that. The fuck is you talking about, nigga? You get what I'm saying? That's what I mean. My name was in the tweets. It was. See, he didn't have Twitter. My name was in the tweets. It was. See, he didn't have Twitter. My name was in the tweets.
Starting point is 00:53:49 You remember the tweets. Yeah. When he listed all the people that he fucked with. Stop playing with me. He said slaughterhouse and mouse. Mouse. Mouse. I'm mouse.
Starting point is 00:53:58 You know that. I know that. You know I'm mouse. I ain't never hear that. Yeah, moving on. I know. Moving on. Moving on.
Starting point is 00:54:06 Oh, man. How can they fix it? Offering home court advantage in the finals is not going to, that's not, they're not going to do that and I don't think they should do that. I thought that before. You can't pay them. Why? You can't pay them? Because you can't pay them. Because they make so much money that the pay
Starting point is 00:54:21 ain't going to be, you get what I'm saying? And you already had to pay him for the in season tournament and that was short what you paid him there let me know that you don't want to pay him so now you're talking
Starting point is 00:54:31 about the niggas with the biggest contracts ever ever yeah you know what I'm saying what are you going to give them
Starting point is 00:54:37 LeBron took the took the play and money and busted down to the rookies and like they don't give a fuck about that right money's not making
Starting point is 00:54:44 them move. Can they move it? Kind of like how the NFL does the Pro Bowl right before Super Bowl or something? No. What would be the point of moving it, though? I'm just saying, it's in the middle of the season. Some people are like,
Starting point is 00:54:55 I'm not really going to go out here and do all of this. I still got a season left. Yo, who the fuck booked Jennifer Hudson for the halftime show? Come on. We telling the truth here today or what? A lot of people didn't like it. Common.
Starting point is 00:55:11 You got two shit. Common. Pander, pander, pander, pander. Go ahead. That's what it was. That's what it was. Pander to who? To who?
Starting point is 00:55:23 Again, we trying to get the WNBA crowd we trying to show that we appealing to women that's not the way to do it no they ain't trying to get their crowd get them Mal go ahead
Starting point is 00:55:30 I seen your little face get scrunched up go ahead no I mean I like the idea the message that she was fuck all that I'm just saying
Starting point is 00:55:36 I like the idea but you know of like pandering to like you know a female base of you know new consumers but that's not it
Starting point is 00:55:44 she's not it. She's not it. I don't think it worked. I'm just saying that could be the reasoning behind it. God bless her. She's very talented, but a terrible fit. That was a bad one. I agree. I'm with you. That was a bad one. I totally agree. I fuck with Jennifer Hudson. Me too.
Starting point is 00:56:00 You got one. I'm here to get lit. Where is G-Eazy when I need him? Come on. I can't afford I- get lit. Where is G-Eazy when I need him? Come on. They can't afford I-Spice. They can't afford Cardi. Where's Tyga? Can't afford I-Spice right now. Where's Tyga at?
Starting point is 00:56:10 The NBA can't afford I-Spice? Not for that. They don't want to pay out all this money like that? Are you crazy? I'm in the booth with Taylor Swift. That's very true. A week ago. That's very true.
Starting point is 00:56:22 But that's still... My price is up now. But it's not a terrible look for her. No, that But that's still, it's still. My price is up now. It's not, but it's not a terrible look for her. No, that's true. No, it's not. They can afford us. To me, it's a win-win. They can't afford Iceberg.
Starting point is 00:56:33 They can't afford her. And I wonder what her price is now. And they would have booked her six months, eight months ago anyway for the event. So, they could have afforded her back then. Even if her number is crazy now, they could have afforded her back then. It should have been someone lit. It should have justed her back then. Even if her number's crazy now, they could have afforded her back then. It should have been someone lit. It should have just been a younger person. You are basically gearing the entire event toward a young demo.
Starting point is 00:56:53 Right. From the tech aspect, you got... They basically put the camera on Kassonot and said, yo, go. Yeah. Go. Do what you do. You know what I'm saying? We know what you bring.
Starting point is 00:57:03 We know what you bring. We know who you are. You him. Do what you do. You know what I'm saying? We know what you bring. We know what you bring. We know who you are. You him. Do what you do. So with that in line, you don't go get Jennifer Hudson with all her greatness to perform. So who do you get? You could get Ice Spice. You could get one of the younger rappers.
Starting point is 00:57:16 Any one of the girls. Yeah. Lotto. Lotto. Lotto. Lotto. Lotto. Any one of the girls.
Starting point is 00:57:22 Lotto. That's who you go get. You go get Lotto. And not just any one of the girls. Lotto. That's who you go get. You go get Lotto. And not just any one of the girls. But you could still go get it. You could have got Dirk in them. You could have got a bunch of different people to come up there and appeal to that demo
Starting point is 00:57:32 that you gear in the whole entire event. Yeah, if you get Dirk and acquire kids. Free tickets for the little, yeah. But it just should have been Jennifer it shouldn't have been her
Starting point is 00:57:46 yeah I agree respect it just wasn't lined up with the theme of the entire event I didn't
Starting point is 00:57:51 understand it at all except for no you could have got some woman shit from Chris
Starting point is 00:57:55 Brown yeah speaking of let's get to Chris Brown versus Ruffles so apparently Chris Brown versus Ruffles. So apparently Chris Brown was invited to be in the celebrity game,
Starting point is 00:58:11 which is Friday. Which if we don't know nothing else, we could guess that that's probably true. Absolutely. He had the jersey layout. And he's an avid basketball dude. Rep for the family. No, that's what he does. But still rep for the family. All right.
Starting point is 00:58:25 Well, I am. That's what he do. He a hooper. He a ho family. No, that's what he does. But still rep for the family. All right, well, yeah. Yo, that's what he do. Like, he a hooper. He a hooper. You know what I'm saying? You got a whole family of hoopers. Yo, Akeem, man. All right, I'm done, I'm done.
Starting point is 00:58:35 No, that's what he does. So I'm sure he was really looking forward to it for them to snatch that shit at the last minute. It's kind of trash. It's fine. Yeah, but same with the Michael Jackson tribute.
Starting point is 00:58:44 You can imagine how many times he just goes through this Yeah, but same with the Michael Jackson tribute. You can imagine how many times he just goes through this where we don't know about it. That's true. Like, enough is enough. Like, I saw a lot of people saying, like, oh, well, you know what you did, et cetera, et cetera. Like, I don't think that was his argument. His argument was, yo. How much time has to pass. No, don't invite me at all. Leave me the fuck alone. Yeah, that too. Don't call my phone. Don much time has to pass? No, don't invite me at all.
Starting point is 00:59:05 Leave me the fuck alone. Yeah, that too. Don't call my phone. Don't email me to say, yo, do this or we want you to do this all to now turn around and say,
Starting point is 00:59:13 oh, never mind. We snatching it back. Just leave me alone. If y'all don't fuck with me, don't fuck with me. I got people that fuck with me. When I go on tour, it does what it does.
Starting point is 00:59:21 My tours is great. My fans still fuck with me. That's why he finished with, I'll go where I'm appreciated I did love that I love that I love that like I'm gonna go where I appreciate it
Starting point is 00:59:31 y'all can leave me the fuck alone y'all don't fuck with me cool leave it at that stop wasting my time yeah stop wasting my time I'm with you
Starting point is 00:59:38 and I mean like they might not have to do this but we invited Chris. So now we're going to get some more sponsorship money. We're going to get some more of this
Starting point is 00:59:48 and use my name and then at the last minute kick me out at the back end? Like, fuck out of here. Well, no, because I think once you announce Chris or invite Chris, then you cut off your... Potential sponsorship money? Sponsors start pulling out. Maybe.
Starting point is 01:00:02 They pull out. Like, oh wait, no. That's what the problem is. That's what they're saying. That's consistently what the problem is. Like, the awards. I'm sure that they wanted him to do that Michael Jackson tribute. The music people.
Starting point is 01:00:13 But when you get to all of the sponsors that they have on it, somebody there is going to say, hey, Chris Brown, nix it. It only takes one. A whale. It only takes one whale. But yo, that be the bullshit because some of the motherfuckers up there be accused of much worse shit and this is where i've said this for years i'm gonna say it again i apologize if it offends anybody this is where people care more about who the victim was and what happened i say it if if if that wasn't rihanna and that was keisha from up
Starting point is 01:00:42 the street we don't have this conversation about ch Brown anymore. I agree with that. It is true. A thousand percent. We do not have that conversation about him. And the crazy part is, she fuck with him. Yes. Right. She long since. Like, that's the girl.
Starting point is 01:00:52 They got mad at her for fucking with him still. Yes. What are you talking about? Lose, lose. Nothing you can do. Stupid ass people, man. I saw, well, I heard Suge Knight put put his he's doing a podcast from prison and he was like
Starting point is 01:01:06 how can they give how can they still hold this over Chris Brown's head but give Dr. Dre an impact award considering everything that he's done
Starting point is 01:01:15 and again it's because of the victim no I think I think I think even back in the day with the Dre shit that was so long ago that social media wasn't as active. That was publicized.
Starting point is 01:01:32 Yeah. That was publicized. He caught flack for it publicly. 20-something years ago. No, but not the doc. Yeah, that shit recently resurfaced. Yeah. Not too long ago.
Starting point is 01:01:44 But again- It came out when all the docs was coming Yeah. Gotcha. Not too long ago. But again, It came out when all the doctors were coming out. Gotcha. So, but again, the person,
Starting point is 01:01:49 the victim, just isn't held as high as somebody else, so they'll let it go. That's what it is. That's it. Yeah. It's fucked up.
Starting point is 01:01:58 I wanted to see that, Chris Brown. You ain't the only one. I saw the rehearsal. Yeah. They would've smoked it. They was smoking that shit. Because it wasn't just him.
Starting point is 01:02:08 When you do Mike, you got to be in step. Thriller, they wasn't missing a beat. Every person did the same. You know what I mean? I wish he could just do it himself. He put it out. Do an actual performance somewhere and just do it himself. Okay, so did Ruffles make a statement?
Starting point is 01:02:25 Yes, they did. Let me read all of this. Chris Brown says, I was asked by the NBA to play an all-star game this year only for them to call later and say they couldn't do it because of their sponsors like Ruffles. At this point, I'm sick of people bothering me and I'm tired of living in the fucking past, right?
Starting point is 01:02:40 He said more, but he said I'll post the emails and blah, blah, blah. Then Ruffles said, Ruffles. Oh, no. He said, Chris Brown said, Ruffles sponsored last night's NBA All-Star celebrity game. However, we didn't. Oh, this is the Ruffles statement.
Starting point is 01:02:56 Ruffles sponsored last night's NBA All-Star celebrity game. However, we did not have any involvement in nor visibility to any player decisions or celebrity invite discussions that was ruffles official statement uh chris brown then replied to that and said i have no reason to lie y'all know i don't clout uh chase clout the only reason they responded is because of all the team breezy fans flooding their stop playing with me see how fake this is cowards y'all know damn well i ain't lying because i never be on this type of time fans flooding they shit. Stop fucking playing with me. See how fake this shit is? Cowards. Y'all know damn well I ain't lying because I never
Starting point is 01:03:27 be on this type of time. These bitches. Ruffles trying to save face. I agree. 1000%. And he continued, at Ruffles, I guess y'all trying to save face now. Stand on business. Don't try to make it look like I'm tripping. You and the NBA representatives
Starting point is 01:03:44 know exactly what y'all are doing. There you have it. I agree. I agree. That's just a bad lie by Ruffles though. But now you look at it like, oh shit. Because you know the what's his hive? These hives will start going crazy.
Starting point is 01:04:00 Now you're looking at potential revenue that y'all can now miss out. So now we got to put out a statement to refute what he said. We had nothing to do with this. Or you could not say shit. Don't say nothing. Don't say nothing. But a blatant, even if that's the truth, it don't come off like the truth.
Starting point is 01:04:17 At all. We do know that they wanted Chris Brown to play in the celebrity game. That come off as damage control on him. Bro, he had the invite. He posted the invite. He posted the conversation. The email, the jerseys, telling him what he would be wearing, everything. He posted all that.
Starting point is 01:04:32 Yo, we'll have our crew set up your transportation, make sure you're safe, that, that, that. Like, he had all the particulars. You got to go there and drop 40 now next year. I got you. Yeah, you got to do that. For Chris, man. Do that for Virginia, yo.
Starting point is 01:04:43 I got that. For Saint. Yeah. Tap him. Do it for Lil Saint yeah tap him do it for Lil Saint gotta do it for Lil Saint now stupid yo oh shit alright time to tell
Starting point is 01:04:52 the beautiful people about Prize Picks yeah Prize Picks gang gang gang you know what time it is the number one daily fantasy sports app
Starting point is 01:05:02 in all of the land really easy to play Ice has been playing hockey of the land. Really easy to play. Ice has been playing hockey. I'm trying to find something to play. Well, hockey been playing me, really. Playing hockey is wild. Get your ass whipped by the sticks. Black history month, y'all.
Starting point is 01:05:19 And ad. Oh, man. Oh, but yeah, man. I've been getting smoked, yo. Smoked. No, it starts to be a little obsessive once basketball has been gone for the last week. It seems like forever. Dog, I didn't know.
Starting point is 01:05:38 I saw you play NBA second half. I tried to play NHL 2P. I didn't know that meant second period. I was like, oh, oh wait it's three periods oh no wonder none of my boys hit all right well prize picture is really easy to play really great to play shouldn't take up too much time all you have to do is select two or more players look at their projected stat line and pick more or less for your chance to win up to 25 times your money or with the demon play up to 99 times your money. Don't forget to use promo code JBB.
Starting point is 01:06:15 And good luck to all of you out there. Indeed. Yes, sir. Now. Answer me. We were talking about getting our summer bodies in shape. Well, it really is what he was talking about. It was him.
Starting point is 01:06:27 No, he was saying he was going to lose the weight and go to the All-Star game and drop 40 on him. You know he said that every year that he's been on this pod. I know. That is a lofty quote. So then you go to the fridge and you pull out an old half-eaten Twix. Look how you got to put your Joe Budden spin on it.
Starting point is 01:06:44 Yo, you make me sad. No, that was accurate. It wasn't half-eaten. How many Twix come got to put your Joe Budden spin on it. Yo, you make me sad. No, that was accurate. It wasn't half-eaten. How many Twix coming in? Half was gone. Four. How many was in the bag? Two.
Starting point is 01:06:51 That's half! No, nigga. When you start talking about the Twix, like somebody bit off the dish. The cookie bar. Went in there and pulled out an old half of Twix. Yeah. Peaked your head out the fridge.
Starting point is 01:07:03 Were you helping him for people? It wasn't his. Oh, shit. He peaked his head from the fridge. It wasn't his. Oh, shit. He peeked his head from the side talking about, yo, y'all know who this belongs to. We all said no. He didn't care. Commenced to eating it. Nah, nah, nah.
Starting point is 01:07:15 Joe said, man, that shit old. I'm going to throw it out. No, you're not, nigga. Throw you out with the Twix. By the Bible. By the Bible. Over the Twix. He told his friend in 20 years he's going to throw me out over the Twix. Over the Twix. After eating Twix. I'm not even worth a the Twix. He told his friend in 20 years he's going to throw
Starting point is 01:07:25 me out over half eating Twix. I'm not even worth a new Twix. You need help and discipline. I have to tell you, that behavior's a little crackish. And they want to sit down and drink tea for hours. Mad honey in the tea.
Starting point is 01:07:43 No, it ain't. It's you, Oxmo't. No, it ain't. It's you, Oxmoor, like I never saw. You like a kid. No, for real. You don't have to be a slave to sugar like that. He's hooked. I cut down on red meat. I lost weight.
Starting point is 01:07:56 Six. I was at 233. I cut down on that, too. Milk. Ish. I don't even. I'm not a milk guy. Yo, we have to stop this. I'm not. This thing that we got. We got to stop. Ish. I don't even, I'm not a milk guy. Yo, we have to stop this. You nice now.
Starting point is 01:08:05 You nice now. I'm not. This thing that we got, we got to stop. No. I have cut down on all of those things. Where you at now? You said you was at 233. Where you at now?

Starting point is 01:08:31 Woo. Sick night. That go get sick and lay in bed, coughing. You get the abs from coughing. I can't even. Yeah. Ooh, then you step on the scale while you're dying and see that beautiful number. You never want to see it go back.

Starting point is 01:08:49 Like, that shit different. Put the fucking used Twix away, man. Yeah, that was good. It's your fault, yo. He still don't know who Twix it was. That's the funniest shit. Everything is my fault.
Starting point is 01:09:00 How's my fault? We got to eat on schedule, yo. Oh, yeah, because you said... Eat on schedule. Say that bullshit you said over there. Let the fans hear how crazy you are. Say it. You said we need a lunch hour, right? Yeah. Say it. Alright, expand. Yo, because we be in here snacking.
Starting point is 01:09:15 All we do is snack. Nigga, go to the chip drawer and eat two bags of Cheetos cause you gotta get back on mic. I can't get my salmon and broccoli. You know what I mean? I can't get my salmon and broccoli. You know what I mean? I can't get my He need craft services. Yeah, I need sea bass.
Starting point is 01:09:30 He want craft services. Chilean sea bass. I can't order it. You got to Uber Eats. Why you can't order sea bass? If you order it at the time that we break the same time
Starting point is 01:09:43 for three years. No, we don't. Ice, we don't take breaks? Yeah, not at the same time we had been break. We break the same time for three years. No, we don't. Ice, we don't take breaks? Yeah, not at the same time. Roughly. We take a rough break. Come on, Ish, stop. It's okay.
Starting point is 01:09:52 I'm starting with a sea bass. Get in your bag. Just get in your bag. Excuses or results. You've been home. You up here. You work with your man. You've been home.
Starting point is 01:10:02 Well-paid, mad-ish hoodies. You can eat a sea bass if you want to eat a sea bass, nigga. Hey, what's somebody going to do, fire you, tell you what you're doing? Go eat your sea bass. Yeah, right. We'll see. Eat your sea bass. Summer's coming.
Starting point is 01:10:17 I know. It's coming fast. It's coming fast. Once you get out of January, it's out of here. January took two months, and now it's March. Man, in New York now, in November, the summer's coming. We don't get no fucking cold weather. Oh, no.
Starting point is 01:10:30 It's been cold as shit. It's been cold as fuck. It's the fucking day. It has not been cold. We had a good week and a half of cold weather. I'm talking about that good under 20. I'm talking about New York City cold under 20. It ain't been under 20, but once.
Starting point is 01:10:42 A week and a half. We had that cold weather for like a week. It'd been 35, 40 degrees been under 20, but once. A week and a half. We had that cold weather for a week. It been 35, 40 degrees the whole winter, damn near. Listen, I know you don't want to hang out with me current day. I heard our little friendship pod that we did.
Starting point is 01:10:58 I get it. You niggas is busy, then y'all busy and cool. This is just what it is. But we can be workout partners. We can go to that little, what's that shit right there? Iron Culture.
Starting point is 01:11:10 Iron Culture. Who could go there? Me and you? No, we can't. Why? You got it. Wait, it's a gym, right? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:11:18 It's more than a gym. Why? Oh, you've been there. I never mentioned it. Hold on. You've been there. It's a good gym. You know that song when it be like,
Starting point is 01:11:24 tag team, back again. You think you song when it be like tag team back again. Splash Brothers in the gym. Bro, that gym is different. I'm good. You got it though. Salute. But don't they be in every gym? They do a little bit.
Starting point is 01:11:38 Yeah, but some of them are different. You think they're going to be in there? It's a nice. It's a nice and they go on every team in the NBA. You saying they're going to be in there at 6 a.m.? It's a nice nigga on every team in the NBA. You saying they're going to be in there at like 5, 6 a.m.? That would be the time to go. I'd be up at that time. I know.
Starting point is 01:11:53 They got to go to work. They be up at that time. They going to get in there? No, they just came in from the spot. I'm going to go in there one more time. Oh, they be in there. I'm going to go in there one more time. That's what he talking about.
Starting point is 01:12:00 I'm talking about the professional. I want you to understand the community that this gym is in. And then voila The ending Speaking of voila Ice I saw your Little AI girl That got you
Starting point is 01:12:14 And that's the same AI girl That's running around Getting everybody Oh that little video one That's the girl That got me That was the first
Starting point is 01:12:20 AI girl that got me This shit is crazy bro The one with the video When you say get you What what you mean, though? Because you think it's a person. You was liking? Because when you like a motherfucker, you go, uh. You said the fire emoji in the DMs?
Starting point is 01:12:31 Nah, nah, nah. And the Reddit boys say that you didn't unfollow when you said you unfollowed. Yes, I did. I'm just telling you what the Reddit boys said. As long as I saw that shit was AI, I was like, oh, no, unfollow. But you probably already had 77 likes on that shit. Not 77. Maybe like nice little fashions.
Starting point is 01:12:43 But you fucked that little cartoon bitch, right? Right in the middle. Right in the headset. We here now, man. We not far. Listen, we not far from it. Yeah. You ladies better get y'all act together.
Starting point is 01:12:54 What they gonna do? Huh? Yeah. Haptics are coming. Once haptics get here, it's over. I'll take this bot shit to the next level. Act right in that kitchen. Haptics.
Starting point is 01:13:04 Once haptics come, it's over, though. What the hell is that. Haptics. Once haptics come, it's over though. What the hell is that? Haptics is what allow you, it simulates touch. Yeah. So like with your phone, there's no buttons on the phone. The Arnold Schwarzenegger shit. What was that movie from back in the day? The Terminator. Twins.
Starting point is 01:13:22 Minority Report. Last Action Hero. He still won't tell us the movie I can't think of it I thought my movie Buff Friends would tell me the movie I know which movie you're talking about
Starting point is 01:13:31 but I can't remember It's got Vanessa Williams There we go Thank you Three tits That's all I remember about that movie Three titties
Starting point is 01:13:37 Listen to these hornies Once these bots know how to make some Rasta Pasta You bitches is finished Haptics Once Haptics comes OnlyFans is done.
Starting point is 01:13:45 No, it ain't. Hell no, it's up. You crazy, it's up. Yeah. Why? Because now, nigga, you can watch the video with her and while she's doing this,
Starting point is 01:13:52 you feel it? Yeah. Niggas are going to pay for that. Are you crazy? Nigga, I could go fuck Jasmine. He's investigating. No, no, I know what haptic means. No, no, get your shit off.
Starting point is 01:14:01 I can go fuck Jasmine Cashmere. I don't got to go to the little OnlyFans shit. He got the beta haptics. He got the first round of the haptic in the house. Check that out. Let me go get the haptic out the closet right quick. Put the haptic on real quick. Yo, when niggas get their haptics for big men.
Starting point is 01:14:19 Yo, your name, image, and likeness is going to be on your haptics. You might be up there. Oh, I need your haptic rights. Haptic pimping. Yeah, nah, I on your haptics. You might be up there. Oh, I need your haptic rights. Haptic pimping, yo. I need your haptic rights. Come on, we out here. Word.
Starting point is 01:14:33 You want to ask a little? All right, make it a little fatter. Yo. Come on, what else? What else is near and dear to our hearts and souls? Did y'all watch the Vince Staples show? Yes. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 01:14:46 Yes. All of them? I didn't see all of them. Yes, I've seen all of them. What episode are you at? I just saw the first one. But go ahead. I thought you supported us for that.
Starting point is 01:14:57 No, I do. Is it a coincidence? I was kidding. Is it a coincidence? No, it's not a coincidence. Can I just get it out first? Can I land? No, you can't land.
Starting point is 01:15:07 Please. No, stay in the air. Can I land? Is it a coincidence that the two mixed people here, the two mixed race people didn't see it? I'm not mixed race. Yeah, but so? It don't matter.
Starting point is 01:15:22 It don't matter. When she mixed race, you mixed race. Yo, what does mixed race got to do with the Vince show? Pro black, dude. Because it's a black show finally by a black person. Finally by a black person. That I like. That's more of a reason to watch it.
Starting point is 01:15:38 I like and revere. I want to talk about the secret messaging in this show. Okay. That's what I want to talk about. Did you like the show. Okay. That's what I want to talk about. Did you like the show? Yes. I did too. I absolutely loved the show.
Starting point is 01:15:50 And I think a big part of that, well, it's a great show, and I know Vince. Right. So if you know him, and you watch this show, like Vince tell you all the time, his mom is a different mom. Like he's told you about the characters in his life and his very different train of thought yeah like yeah he said he based on his experience and what he grew up yeah exactly so he talks about that often so to see it from episode one to five is just i thought it was real good and, I always come in here and talk about there's a narrative out there that I don't support black shows. It is right. And my response to that is always the black shows that they give us are through white psychology, have to go through white approvals, white boards.
Starting point is 01:16:42 Right. There's only a handful of people that are black people in Hollywood that just gets you greenlit right so that is what my normal beef is with some of the black shows I'm sitting there and I'm watching and when you watching a black show and I felt this with Vince too like when I've started watching the show, I could almost hear the screen calling me a nigga. Like, nigga shit. It's nigga shit time. And I was sitting there like, oh, I relate to this because, oh. If you've been to jail, they say pump it up.
Starting point is 01:17:18 Well, and yes, Parks, Mr. One Line King, but that's the other reason I enjoy it. Salutation. It's because whether you know Vince Staples or not, whether you're familiar with him or not, the show is from his perspective, but the environment is the star. And because I'm
Starting point is 01:17:36 similar, like, mad times, you maybe knew Joe Budden or didn't know Joe Budden, but when you're like semi-pseudo famous a little bit, it's like all those times in the show where somebody was like, who the fuck is that? Oh, that's Vince Staples. Who the fuck is Vince Staples?
Starting point is 01:17:48 Like those moments are like real moments. So back to the secret messages in the show. What did Chicken mean? In the theme park episode? Yeah. When he went to, yeah, the theme park episode, which is probably my favorite episode.
Starting point is 01:18:06 That's the one I got the much to talk about, the most to say about. But when he went to get some chicken, and I think that was a nod to school days, right? The black guy behind the counter saying, what kind of chicken do you want? White or dark? Dark.
Starting point is 01:18:22 We ain't got dark. Nigga, what the fuck you asking me for? Then, right? So he leaves the chicken spot. He can't get chicken from his man. The line is out the door. He can't get chicken from our black people. He goes outside in the alleyway.
Starting point is 01:18:39 There's an Asian dude, right? It wasn't the Asian dude? Yeah, he was. And the Asian dude in the alley give him the secret path to the chicken the bootleg chicken yeah you can go over there
Starting point is 01:18:50 go through the tunnel red door yeah follow the yellow brick road door side tunnel and then he goes and that's a white dude
Starting point is 01:18:58 in there right yep with pimples it's always a white dude with pimples that'll change your life they got the chicken. This podcast ain't even a podcast without a white dude with pimples.
Starting point is 01:19:14 I don't sleep on white dudes with pimples. So the white dude with pimples is in there and he's quiet. He's a mute. He don't talk. So Vince put the order in and, all right, where I get my chicken? Nigga, get out. I'll call you when the chicken is ready. Right?
Starting point is 01:19:31 So he goes. And I'm going to talk about what happens when he goes. But then he gets the call. And he comes back. And the white guy just keeps pointing the signs. He's got the signs on the counter about pricing. And he's charging them extra for the sauces. He's charging them
Starting point is 01:19:45 and you got to do it because where else are you going to get the chicken from? What is the secret messaging in this? It's something there. I'm going to watch it.
Starting point is 01:19:56 I ain't even. I'm going to watch it today. Look at it that deep. You're fucking me up. That is deep. It's 100% something there. It is. Now, wait, right?
Starting point is 01:20:04 He leaves the chicken spot. He leaves the chicken spot. He leaves the chicken spot. Go on about your day. And this was probably my favorite secret messaging in the whole shit. The amusement park episode. I want to say it's episode three. Yeah, it's the same. As a nigga, he is in the theme park and identifies a threat.
Starting point is 01:20:24 The mascot. Yo, that mascot, what's up with that nigga? You tell his girl, hey, baby. In the very beginning. The fuck is up with this nigga? He's staring at her. He's looking at me. What do the girl do?
Starting point is 01:20:35 The same thing that girls always do. Set you up. Hey, nigga, you bugger. Call him over here for a picture. Come here for a picture. So now the mascot is over there taking the picture. And while Vince is ice grilling and they're having to stare off, the girl is just focused on taking pictures with the kids.
Starting point is 01:20:54 She don't even see all of this threat shit going on. I'm sitting there like, ain't that how it always go? Ain't that how it always go? They set you right up. God damn it. They bring the threat right over. So now we got beef in the theme park. We up? God damn it. They bring the threat right over. So now we got beef in the theme park. We up?
Starting point is 01:21:07 No, we got beef in the theme park. I know that this mascot nigga staring at me a certain way. So now Vince detours. And he got beef. Mascot chasing him. Now he's cornering him. He got all of his mascot friends. He went and got all of his mascot friends and now they about to fuck
Starting point is 01:21:23 Vince up. That's funny, son. So Vince is having the hardest day. This whole show is about Vince. The whole show is about Vince having the toughest few days ever, and the girl, or the women in his life, never know it. The girlfriend never knows. Add to it. The sister never knows.
Starting point is 01:21:40 Yeah, nobody ever knows. So the girl is just in the theme park with the kids. Oh, come on. That's brilliant. He getting his ass beat by mascots. Who are the mascots? What is the symbolism? There's symbolism here because I know Vince,
Starting point is 01:21:55 and this is not just mascots are beating me up. No, no, no. The mascots represent life, nigga. Yeah. Something. Yeah, something. The family reunion episode, I loved. I loved that one. That was awesome. Absolutely. The family reunion episode, I loved. I loved that one.
Starting point is 01:22:06 Absolutely loved the family reunion episode. I just get the bank. The bank was fire. The bank might have been the best one. That was episode two. The bank is dead, President. Yeah. I also like his nod to some black shit.
Starting point is 01:22:17 Yeah, he did. The bank part was, that was amazing, but great. Great. Iced like the bank episode. A lot of people. A lot of people did. The bank episode was just because it was nonstop laughter and comedy. A lot of the episodes, like you said, it's messaging in there. You're not laughing from scene one to the end.
Starting point is 01:22:36 Oh, that was the way to other message. Wait. In the bank. Couldn't get the loan. This was the one that fucked me up, and I still can't figure it out. When he went to go wherever he went, and the black guy was mopping. Yeah, yeah. And Vince is saying to him.
Starting point is 01:22:53 You ain't got to do this. Hey, brother, you ain't got to mop no more. They robbing the bank. We out. Freedom. And the guy says, no, Mr. Such and Such says to mop. Mr. Such and Such bought this bank this year, and then his family bought the bank,
Starting point is 01:23:09 and then they did this, da-da-da-da-da-da. So if they say mop, then I'm staying right here to mop. I was like, oh, no, Vince is going crazy. I gotta watch it. I said, no, Vince is going, but he's doing this in a comedy. This is like Hood-Abbott Elementary. Yeah, yeah. is gone but he's doing this in a comedy this is like all this is like hood abbott elementary yeah yeah he's doing all of this weaving in what is supposed to be a comedy him knowing the bank robbers that shit was great them inviting him even the first scene where he tried to get the
Starting point is 01:23:38 when he walks into the spot he knew and he took he walked into the spot. The receptionist was like, yo, bathroom for customers only. Nigga, I'm trying to get a loan. She gets on the phone and call upstairs. They just bust out laughing. While he's standing right there, bust out laughing. Yeah, go ahead upstairs. So he go upstairs to try and get the loan because he got some cereal. See, look at that.
Starting point is 01:24:01 But look, first question. Yo, all right, my proposal is this. Do you know the leading cause of death in the black community the nigga like guns he was like heart disease
Starting point is 01:24:10 sugar sugar and heart disease sugar and then Rick Ross is there yeah even that nah I don't want to brag from you
Starting point is 01:24:20 so the big dude basically said you ain't getting no loans suck my dick you're a rapper these things never recoup they get expensive you have your heyday of bread from you. So the bank dude basically said, you ain't getting no loans. Suck my dick. You're a rapper. These things never recoup. They get expensive.
Starting point is 01:24:29 You have your heyday, but when the heyday is over, then what? So get the fuck out of here. But now, when the bank robbers come in and these is my niggas, now you need me. And because I'm black
Starting point is 01:24:37 and I'm a good guy, I'm going to spare your life. But then he, and oh my God, when they walked out the bank, him and the white dude, and he tried to spare his life. He did tried to don't do that yeah I wouldn't do that I was you my privilege shot him in the head was he reach pop
Starting point is 01:24:54 towards that's up yes just listen I really enjoyed the show I think there's a lot of amazing messages and secret symbolism inside of it by by the by the time it got to episode 5 I see exactly where he would have taken it with eight episodes. Or ten. Ten, yeah. Eight or ten. I need another five.
Starting point is 01:25:11 I also could see, watching the show, some of his hurdles that he may have had to face in even distributing this. With the people behind the scenes and shit like that. That comes from knowing
Starting point is 01:25:22 and talking to Vince. And he came in and told us. You know how he give it up. He came in and told us. You know how he give it up. He came in and told us. You know where he's standing and how he views certain shit. So you know him getting a show, he going to go.
Starting point is 01:25:31 You said would have though. So you got to curve it back a little bit. They're not going to let you go like that. Yeah. So you said would have. It's been canceled already?
Starting point is 01:25:39 No. No, no, no. It was just a limited order of five episodes. He said that it was five episodes and he wants to do more. So he wants everybody to basically get on the network's ass to have him do some more shows. Support it.
Starting point is 01:25:48 He's looking for support. Numbers got to show. Hit the double thumbs up. And that's what you were saying about you hate black shows being viewed through white lenses. But the way that we still got to support them shows because now once they get up high enough, now they can possibly do what they want to do. Because if we don't, they stay under the white lens. But that starts with giving black people
Starting point is 01:26:09 the opportunity to showcase black shit. Cool, but if... I'm sorry. Because then we could get into the, hey, run it up. Bill Cosby never gets an opportunity to do the spinoff to a different world without that level of success. You get what I'm saying?
Starting point is 01:26:22 Once he exhibited a level of success, then they said, okay, cool, you can take the reins and bring your black ideas to the screen because they've been so successful. You've shown that you can generate money for us.
Starting point is 01:26:33 I'll give you more trust. So now we'll let you go a little bit further. If we shit on the black show from the beginning, they never going to get any higher to be able to do nothing else.
Starting point is 01:26:41 I agree with that. So I think we have to support the black show even if it's through the white lens right now. But then who say, if we don't make this show a success, then the next show that they get, now they can really do it the way that they want to
Starting point is 01:26:52 and it needs to be done. Oh, I don't feel like that at all. Y'all can show up that Jamie Foxx movie, Far Up Somebody's Ass. Which Jamie Foxx? That one that I came in here talking about. Oh, they call it Tyrone? Yeah, come on.
Starting point is 01:27:00 I wasn't a fan of that. Please. But listen, I'm just saying, even if it was successful, we watched it, we supported it. Now, whoever wrote that movie might get an opportunity to express their real vision without the white interference on the next one. Look, I give dude hell all the time. Jordan Peele. Jordan Peele.
Starting point is 01:27:18 But if Get Out was not a success, he don't get them other movies. And he started going in them other movies. That's true. He did. He started really saying and doing some shit in the movies but if get out was not a success we don't get that i agree yo vince uncle saying why are we black when at the family reunion when the whole family was fighting and yo that fight was good because what are y'all fighting about the mom the whole time is about
Starting point is 01:27:44 to shoot somebody. Mom has smoke over the mac and cheese. Over the mac and cheese. See, but that's the real issue in the black community. That's some black shit. Where you ask two people to make the mac and cheese. No, no, no. There was a group chat and I wasn't in it.
Starting point is 01:27:56 That's where it started. Hold up. Wait, wait, wait. So y'all did all this behind my back? Who made the mac and cheese? And that was her mission. And she kind of bonded with the girlfriend over the beef yeah
Starting point is 01:28:07 I like that you got my back I could really really really only imagine Vince writing these episodes from his perspective what
Starting point is 01:28:16 and these white people read that shit like no no that's what jumps off the screen is his perspective yeah that happened
Starting point is 01:28:23 he went crazy no we can't do that. Like, yo, I can only imagine. I can only imagine, yo. I can only imagine. Based on the black cookouts, based on the black experience,
Starting point is 01:28:31 again, he's a successful kid. Guy. He's going to the bank. Really might, that might have happened to him. I don't know. His interpretation of that is now on the screen.
Starting point is 01:28:40 I'm sure that a lot of this is based on facts. So that's fire. That is fire. And he a creative, so he could put a spin on it. He a writer. He a rapper.
Starting point is 01:28:47 You know what I'm saying? I think it's amazing. I'm going to go watch all four of them today. Oh, and then when he was in jail, and the dude was making the song. And they was doing that for you? Huh? They was rapping to you. They could just start making a beat out of it.
Starting point is 01:29:00 What they doing for you? I don't rap, nigga. I don't mean they couldn't bust a little verse for you. Yo, y'all got bars. Stay right here and listen to my bars. You was like, okay. Holy shit. You listened to me. That's what I did. Nigga said, you said, okay. I just want y'all to see how he paints.
Starting point is 01:29:15 He said, okay, son. You ain't do that? No. All right. Salutations. Crazy shit is, last time you got locked up, I think I took your laces, man. Who laces? That's what they said to you? I think I took your phone when they came and locked you up in front of.
Starting point is 01:29:32 I came over there like, come on, man, give me your stuff. We got to even up the friendship. You hear him? You got to even up the friendship. I was just looking at you like you crazy for making up a story. I ain't making up no story. What are you talking about? You took my laces?
Starting point is 01:29:44 No, nigga. I went over there. I walked over to you and said talking about? You took my laces? No, nigga. I went over there. I walked over to you and said, huh? You couldn't walk nowhere, nigga. Stay still. Stand still. Stand still.
Starting point is 01:29:51 Them sheriffs wasn't letting you walk nowhere. I walked over to you. He peeped them before everybody. What that mean? Had his shit in his hand already. They still came and was like, yo, hold my shit.
Starting point is 01:29:59 Man, that, man. Thank you, Ice. Thank you, Ice. I seen the niggas flying up the street like. I didn't even know what the fuck he was talking about. He was like, oh, yo, I thought they would have been faster than that.
Starting point is 01:30:08 I said, what the fuck? I could have got away if I was 30. Here you go. I would have broken. Without the sugar? No, 30 with the sugar. Without the sugar. That's the energy.
Starting point is 01:30:16 What do you weigh right now? 247. Oh, shit. You look really like the start of that, too. You know, Corey's our resident health department. It's like the nurse's office. $2.47. Yeah, drew $5.70.
Starting point is 01:30:36 Not even five minutes later, you look how he paints me. I'm not leaving it. I'm not leaving it. Ever since our friendship pod. Any excuse to do that, right? Yeah. Oh. Sick.
Starting point is 01:30:49 Sick. Yo. This crazy. I ain't gonna lie. This is obnoxious. Yes. So what? The ring?

I think the Air Trump is hilarious. That is insanity. It's disgusting. Disgusting. I think it's even more hilarious that he showed up to SneakerCon.
Starting point is 01:33:30 Without a booth? Nothing. No permission. Wait, what? Yeah, he went to SneakerCon. He came there. That's what they dropped. To peddle his sneakers.
Starting point is 01:33:36 Yeah, that's what they dropped. And so where did he peddle them since he couldn't get in? Like the parking lot? I don't know. He didn't need to. He just had to be there, show up. Yo, Trump outside selling CDs is crazy. Did y'all see Biden with the Black family?
Starting point is 01:33:50 Eating chicken? At the table eating chicken? Jesus Christ. What kind of chicken? White meat or dark meat. It's all a joke, yo. You're fucking me up, yo. I don't even want to get in a bad mood.
Starting point is 01:34:07 Well, that's what won it for him last time. That nigga went right to Roscoe's, and it was a wrap. And they loved that shit. You better get some shoes. Fam, he straight told y'all, if you don't vote for him, you're not black. Stupid. Yeah, he told y'all to man that shit. Fucking Dodo.

Starting point is 01:34:35 Oh, shit. He did. Yo, Biden's gonna drop Tim's. Watch. He got a one-up. He got a one-up. He's coming. He got a one-up.

Starting point is 01:35:09 I ain't know Trump had a website. Of course he does. That's where he collects donations. Donations. If the Reddit niggas find old clips of you on What's That Nigga Show with Prentice. No, they never will. You did a Prentice? No, I did not. We got to ask with Mel.
Starting point is 01:35:22 No, I didn't. She did a lot of shit. She's well traveled. Prolific. Prolific. But no, I didn't. She did a lot of shit. She's prolific. Traveled. Prolific. But no, I didn't do that. Loquacious. Add that too. I don't find that.
Starting point is 01:35:32 Yo, that's crazy, son. Have you? You'll rock them? No. If he came up here and gave us an ad for three mil. No, three mil? Hell no. You shouldn't be.
Starting point is 01:35:44 Pardon me for being a poor. Pardon me for being a poor? From Trump? Pardon me for being a poor? Is there a number? Is there a number? Okay, is there a number? That nigga screwed his face up after three mil. Is there a number?
Starting point is 01:35:55 Is there a number that you can rock the Air Trumps? No. Okay. No, there is not. Your integrity would prevent you from doing that. Mad shit. Listen, I've proven myself. Mad shit is not for sale with me.
Starting point is 01:36:05 Yeah, man. I'll do that. I stand in it. Okay. Hey, yo. Yes, Antoine? Nothing much. Friend?
Starting point is 01:36:14 Nothing. He doesn't believe you. I didn't say that. He's saying that maybe it should be for sale. For the Air Trump? You know I ain't with that. So what you saying? Not for the Air Trump.
Starting point is 01:36:23 For the what? Nigga, when Everyday everyday struggle tried to get me to wear some fucking little air force one day i got some money from nike but oh i fucked that whole plan up fuck that that was the last more rebox no some nike we came in and they was like uh hey if you don't mind, the Nike's dropping this. Can the host wear them? Me, Ak, and the desk. So, you know, Ak put it on. Hey, man, I like this. It's kind of nice.
Starting point is 01:36:53 And the desk, it works for the company, so she ain't going to be for it. So she put them on. I can hear Joe now. If you know him, he's not giving you that face. He could love the shoe. He could love it. Knock on that little side door.
Starting point is 01:37:08 It's like, hey. My check going to look different. And that's when I learned about some of the funny verbiage in the contract. Like, hey, if we do an integration, we'll give you extra $5. If we do an ad, he'll give you extra $5. If we do an ad, he'll give you extra $20. That's a nigga. Oh, fuck it. I'll flush this whole Nike down the toilet, nigga.
Starting point is 01:37:33 It won't be nobody winning. But you know what? I did win at Nike one time for him. I did win one time. Team player. Trying to show good faith. Listen, I'm going to show good faith. Sometimes you got to show good faith.
Starting point is 01:37:44 But, and not for nothing that nike or that particular experience went on to make you better well no and it gave me all information i got so much information from complex and how they were doing ads i know the same shit we see and i did just did uh the mellow uh podcast and mero was on there talking about some of the ad problems that he went through advice with like them niggas had
Starting point is 01:38:08 an ad deal to put Timberlands on the doll in the corner. He wasn't getting a piece of nothing. Like they'll play that. The ad games
Starting point is 01:38:15 you got to figure out. You're going to have to figure them out but we'll talk about that later when we talk to our experts. Actually, you know what you're doing?
Starting point is 01:38:24 We here now. Yeah, we here. We here it? We here now. Yeah, we here. We here now. We here now. All right. Let me go get that Freddie. Oh, give him something? Let me get that Freddie.
Starting point is 01:38:33 No, Mercury. Oh, Mercury, Mercury, Mercury. Freddie Mercury. I love the pressure. That one? No, no, no. Not that little slap. We are the champions.
Starting point is 01:38:41 That's my shit. That's my shit right there. We are champions. Mm-hmm. I'm not mad at you. Oh! Madland. Madland. we are champions I'm not mad at you oh this one nah hold up man
Starting point is 01:38:54 let me cut it off man this one hurts this one hurts hurts what cause you're kinda biting the dust yeah nigga I want them to go on
Starting point is 01:39:03 for life I never wanted I never wanted to go on for life. I never wanted to see that. You shitting me? I cried a little gut dog tear when I seen that news. Like, is it real?
Starting point is 01:39:16 Yeah, no. This one hurts. Sometimes it's tough to come in here and do your job as a podcaster, man. Today is one of those days for me.
Starting point is 01:39:25 I never wanted to report on something like this. I was actually conflicted with whether I should even play another one, Bites the Dust, but I got to do it just because I got to do it. But... Ugh! Ugh!
Starting point is 01:39:39 You seem so conflicted. Oh, it hurts. This is the song that we play when another one goes down. Mandy, Bridget. I love y'all, but y'all not above getting this Freddie Mercury. I'm sorry.
Starting point is 01:40:11 See, the thing is the podcast announced they are no longer on Insta live and they put out a little statement. Both of them. I'm going to toss it to Melissa or Ish. Another one bites the dust. Or see the thing is, experts. So we can try to get to the bottom of this. Another one bites the dust.
Starting point is 01:40:33 Hey, I'm going to get you too. Another one bites the dust. All right Ish Mel Take it away Ish is the only person here That has done The podcast
Starting point is 01:40:51 Well good Didn't you do it? I worked on the show Oh shit Ice did it too? Yes Oh Hey
Starting point is 01:40:58 Man Okay And you worked on the show I did Come out we caught All right so the seated thing is couch. Seated thing is, no, it's unfortunate. It is.
Starting point is 01:41:09 Do you want to read the statement? They are extended friends. You read it. And maybe family from us. I read a lot. They are closing up shop and they are no longer. Again, I think it's unfortunate. I think even for you, outside of the jokes,
Starting point is 01:41:24 like, yo yo you were pivotal in that show happening so if you if they had a 10 year run I didn't want to see them go down if they had a 10 year run that's a testament to you too you get what I'm saying
Starting point is 01:41:32 so I think that that's and they ran they did it was a good show they ran for a few years they did I think so y'all know how I think
Starting point is 01:41:41 like I don't be happy if nobody shit Top of Wolver like that ain't especially somebody that I'm cool with or that I'm friends, I don't be happy if nobody shit Top of Wolverine. Like, that ain't, especially somebody that I'm cool with or that I'm friends with. I don't think that that's fly,
Starting point is 01:41:49 but I think they did a good thing, especially for women in the space. For sure. And I think they were successful. Just, you know, the landscape in podcasting. It's changed. Yeah, it's changed.
Starting point is 01:42:02 It's changed. It's gotten a little bit more treacherous. I think it's hard. I think, I think, I think, it's changed. It's changed. It's gotten a little bit more treacherous. I think it's hard. I think that it's a misconception about podcasting that you could just cut on some mics and talk. And that's a really, really big misconception out here that everybody not funny.
Starting point is 01:42:17 You could be the smartest motherfucker in the world and you could cut these cameras on and not resonate to nobody because you're not compelling. You're not funny. You're not pulling them into your content. And I think they did resonate with people. No, I'm not saying them. No, no, no, no, no, no.
Starting point is 01:42:29 The homies. I'm not saying them. I'm just saying I think that and so, look at me. The networks was giving out money. Yeah. And not necessarily recouping that money. Not saying that that's what happened with them. I just think overall, based on the success that Joe had, based on the success that some of the earlier podcasters had,
Starting point is 01:42:48 especially during COVID, they were just throwing money at that shit. And they wasn't necessarily recouping that money back. So I think a lot took. There's going to be some more dooms coming soon. Listen, I'm on record. I'm well documented saying that. I think the big boom is over. That whole podcast wave of everybody getting the biggest bag in the world is over.
Starting point is 01:43:12 And I think we're going to see quite a few pods, you know, succumb. I agree. But shout to them. Congrats to their amazing run that they had. They had a great run. Yeah, I hit the round of applause. Yeah, they did. Great things to come. Yeah, I'm sure the of applause. Yeah, they did. Great things to come.
Starting point is 01:43:26 Yeah, I'm sure the both of them have some big plans ahead of them. When are y'all going to read the... I was looking for it. I was about to read it. Yeah, while y'all find it, listen, man, it's just... With all the money being
Starting point is 01:43:42 essentially gone, there's only but so many places for people to move and shake. There's a lot of these companies that are ad companies that are bringing you on to see what your audience can do for that specific model. And if your audience is not helpful to them, right. Cause it's not enough to resonate, like whatever you got to do to get an audience and resonate with them, that's on you, but that's totally separate from the business of podcasting. So if we hit the button on these ads
Starting point is 01:44:26 and one and one is not equal in two, then it's going to be tough to sustain. It's going to be, there's a lot of podcasts with business models that don't seem sustainable long term, right? This thing started as a low overhead thing where you could get a mic and a camera and become very profitable but as it grew you know niggas got staff sets
Starting point is 01:44:54 productions post post socials right and if you are incurring those costs on your own, then I can see how that begins to get difficult. Some of the people that was chase checking, check chasing. Right. At some point. At some point, you just knew what it was going to be. I mean, I don't want to if I keep talking, I'm going to have to talk in the cold and I don't want to do that with y'all. But I never wanted to be in that position. Like I know a lot of people
Starting point is 01:45:31 didn't really understand a lot of what I was saying around that Spotify time, but I don't want to be in a position where every two to three years I'm convincing a staff of my value. My worth. And my worth.
Starting point is 01:45:46 I don't even trust depending on the market and where it will be in three years to say that y'all are going to continue to invest in podcasting the way that you've been. If you look around, most of the companies have closed their podcast department. Most of the companies have closed their podcast department. Most of the companies have stopped spending. Most of the people that was around for that Big Bang shit have moved on,
Starting point is 01:46:11 and they're somewhere else or they're home counting the money that they made. Most of the companies that got in it strictly to make podcasts are gone or have been gobbled up by iHeart or some other conglomerate. Yeah, yeah. So, I mean, it's going to be interesting to watch how podcasters move currently and moving forward. And unfortunately, a lot of them will just say, fuck it, it's not worth it. It's not worth the hassle and headache. I think it's outside of podcasting, man. It's all of these tech companies.
Starting point is 01:46:42 Everybody. People streaming. outside of podcasting, man, it's all of these tech companies, everybody, people streaming, just everybody that was giving out big bags right around the pandemic, it's all dried up. We talked about URL and caffeine before. We talked about like everybody that was getting it, they got what, these companies took what they needed from you,
Starting point is 01:47:01 which was your audience. Now we got your audience we've gotten them to subscribe to our platforms and now we can we have a full number that we can go to advertisers and do xyz with we kind of don't need y'all no more to keep running these numbers up like that gotcha that's what it looked like it's just going on all the way across the board any type of anything yeah tech media that involves a camera. True. It's unfortunate.
Starting point is 01:47:29 Somebody got a statement? I do. After an incredible journey filled with laughter, tears, and unforgettable moments, we are sad to announce that See The Thing Is podcast will be coming to an end. Over the past three years, we have shared stories, insights, and discussions
Starting point is 01:47:43 that have touched the hearts of our listeners in ways that we couldn't have imagined as the creators we have made the difficult decision to bring this chapter to a close as we pursue new opportunities and navigate career different creative differences pardon me like the end of a beloved let's sprinkle some rewind a little bit rewind let me hit a 10 second rewind 15 seconds just a little last line as we pursue new opportunities and navigate creative differences
Starting point is 01:48:17 let's unpack that let's do a little bit of science here I know it can be tough to pursue new opportunities while navigating
Starting point is 01:48:34 whilst whilst navigating creative differences so when I read that, when I hear that, I wonder, do they plan on pursuing something together again? It doesn't sound like it at all.
Starting point is 01:48:52 Or are they going their separate ways? I won't lie, a part of me thought when this first came out that they was just fucking pulling the 186 to get from under the Joe Budden 720 contract. You haven't in the 720? No, I'm joking.
Starting point is 01:49:06 I was asking. I didn't know. You said it. I was asking. Come to dinner with me. Come to dinner with me. You said it. I just said come to dinner.
Starting point is 01:49:18 We're on the whole left side of the bar. We get them again? We get them again? Huh? Fuck they thought. You got me in trouble, yo. How? You know what I mean talking that shit
Starting point is 01:49:28 yeah but what's the trouble it's alright bro no tell me I wanna know everything I said was true that's the problem I wasn't in there
Starting point is 01:49:37 everybody in your life should know it's true who don't know me and you can't clear the whole left side what's the mystery? Where the fuck is the You got it bro.
Starting point is 01:49:49 Bro it was about six birthday parties in there this last weekend. Uh huh. Glad y'all wasn't there. Birthday cake? You was giving out cake?
Starting point is 01:49:58 No no no. I was on a date. A lot of cake? I was coming to bed. I was on a date. I was coming with my ring. My girl was so happy I had COVID.
Starting point is 01:50:08 My girl couldn't have been happier. Cough, nigga. Cough, nigga. Nigga hitting a hookah like this. Oh, I was going. We get a water and a snifter. These guys are fools, son. There's something wrong with your brain, yo. Would you like me to continue?
Starting point is 01:50:30 Yeah, go ahead. My bad, my bad, my bad. I'm sorry. Like the end of a beloved series, we believe it's essential to conclude at a point that honors the essence of what made our podcast special. We are immensely grateful to our dedicated listeners and supporters who've been with us every step of the way.
Starting point is 01:50:49 Your enthusiasm, feedback, and engagement have meant the world to us, and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for being a part of this incredible journey. Yo, y'all support has meant so much that we are never, ever releasing again. We have creative differences and we're going to pursue other opportunities. So all of this shit that we build here

Starting point is 01:51:26 mattered none in the grand scheme we wavered and we oh shit sorry guys I'm sorry we wavered
Starting point is 01:51:37 come on let's have some fun they like just follow me to the next one that's all they mean is it the end yeah I don't know hopefully I don't know if it's the end I don't know if it's the end follow me to the next one. That's all it means. Is he the end? Yeah, I don't know. Hopefully.
Starting point is 01:51:45 I don't know if it's the end. I don't know if it's the end. Follow me to the next one. We got to see. We got to see what's going on. They're going to go out and do great things. Good luck to those guys. Whether it's together or not, they're both very talented and hardworking.
Starting point is 01:51:59 How is that for diplomacy? No, it's true. Vandy gets to it. Mel, I can tell you want to fire Shep. Bridget gets to it. No! I can tell. I can tell. Just so you're clear clear the our audience is not dumb and we go all tell that neither are your co-hosts yeah nobody's dumb here i know mandy i know mandy said the little six mic shit when you first got brought on yeah
Starting point is 01:52:19 come on you know women are women don't forget shit so So your whole posture, your tone, all of it. Come on. Just get it out. Get it out. I do not want to fire shots, especially when there's an announcement about the demise of a beloved show. Absolutely not. Yo, she good. Hey, Erickson, I want to try the gym. I want to try the gym.
Starting point is 01:52:40 Yo, what's the gym? Her face when she jams. Give me a gym. You got to look at her. You got to look at her. Oh, my God. Her gym. She's got a good gym.
Starting point is 01:52:56 No, her gym is way better than mine. All right, Mel. Yeah. All right. Well, rest in peace. To the show. To the show. To the show. To the show. To the show.
Starting point is 01:53:08 My God. They'll be alright. They'll be great. Yeah, they're going to be fine. Stop looking at me. Stop looking at me. The gym? That's what we call it?
Starting point is 01:53:20 Gym from the office. I never watched office. You look at the camera and make funny faces. Wait. You've never watched office period? You've never the camera and make funny faces. Wait. You've never watched The Office period? You've never seen The Office? Never? Like not an episode?
Starting point is 01:53:29 Probably seen some clips. Yo, I'm with you, E. We don't know our friends. What the fuck is wrong with this man? I'm so with you. I would have definitely, I ain't had that on the bingo board. But why? You didn't think it was funny
Starting point is 01:53:46 why not yeah basically you are missing out my friend it wasn't my thing have you ever watched an episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm yeah
Starting point is 01:53:55 ain't that maybe like that's what she said that's what he said that's the office that's the office yeah alright
Starting point is 01:54:01 so he basically you think that's all it is I don't know I'm just saying. I heard it was amazing. It's amazing. I haven't watched a bunch of shows
Starting point is 01:54:09 that people thought were fire. I haven't watched The Office. I haven't watched Superbad. I mean, what's the one you said they were selling drugs? The Wire? No, the white people. The whites.
Starting point is 01:54:20 Ozark? Breaking Bad. I never watched that. Ozark, Breaking Bad. I watch Ozark. Okay. I never watched Breaking Bad. I never watched that Ozark Breaking Bad I watch Ozark I never watched Breaking Bad I never watched The Office Somehow me and my dad
Starting point is 01:54:29 The other day Ended up in a really Heated argument Over Seinfeld What was the argument? What was your stance And his stance? I think I'm gonna rock
Starting point is 01:54:38 With your father Of course you will You old niggas Go ahead Like my dad Recently He just calls with like A quick random Pop culture question all you old niggas. Go ahead. Like, my dad recently, he just calls with, like, a quick random pop culture question,
Starting point is 01:54:49 but it's really a test. See if my son got some balls or not. Go ahead. I'm listening. Go ahead. So he calls and says something like, I never watched Seinfeld. I don't get it. I don't like it.
Starting point is 01:55:07 Don't like it. Ain't into it. Don't see why everybody else is into it. All that whitey white white extra white wiggity wiggity white shit. So I thought I had him. It's not friends. So I thought I had him because I don't think it's friends. I don't think it's friends either. So I respond to him and
Starting point is 01:55:24 say well, for me, it's a lot less about race and more about just a New York experience. To which dad says, which New York? True. True. And he won. Tap out. Yeah. You got it.
Starting point is 01:55:42 He wins. Slow down. He says, which New York? Right? I say 79th. White New York. Upper East Side. Upper East Side.
Starting point is 01:55:59 White New York. Pretty white, yeah. I would have said the West Side. No, it's Upper East, isn't it? Yeah, it's not the West Side. Yes East isn't it yeah it's not the west side yes oh okay it's not the west side
Starting point is 01:56:07 and then he says yeah that's white New York see and this is where we have a little bit of a divide and difference of opinion because
Starting point is 01:56:16 I think and I understand what he's saying so it's not a beef but this black it's not just whites
Starting point is 01:56:23 over there no more still over I understand which is why I just over which is why I just hung up on I just hung up because I see where you're going but yeah I never got it I never got something situations are not really particularly about race or class, really. It's about going to the restaurant and having to wait and shit.
Starting point is 01:56:50 It's like going to the dry cleaner. It's going to the fucking deli. It's like forgetting your parking spot when you park at the mall. Yeah, beefing with someone over a parking spot. I ain't even talking about the racial aspect.
Starting point is 01:57:00 This wasn't funny to me. I just didn't see the fun. And again, I would accept that from Ish if he saw The Office. But I love, Frazier's one in my tops. Which is confusing. Because you're Frazier. I don't like Frazier either. That's why.
Starting point is 01:57:13 Why is that confusing to you? That he likes Frazier and he doesn't like the other two? Frazier's great. Because Frazier is like stuffy white as hell. Frazier's ten times better than Seinfeld. But Frazier is pretentious white. Yeah. But that's than Seinfeld. But Frasier is pretentious white. Yeah. But that's what makes it so fucking funny though.
Starting point is 01:57:29 Like Frasier is fucking amazing. Is the pretentiousness. The writing. It's so fucking hilarious. Frasier is a good show, but it's not Seinfeld. Not even close. You like Curb, right? I like Curb. I like, everybody loves Raymond.

Starting point is 01:57:56 no I have the responsibility to make her watch some stuff and vice versa and vice versa it could lie on her side too if you never saw The Office and she did then it's vice versa
Starting point is 01:58:04 alright if she never seen Roots I'm joking but no Vice versa. It could lie on her side too. If you never saw The Office and she did, then it's vice versa. All right. If she never seen Roots. I'm joking, but no. But you wouldn't expect your girl to have seen The Roots, right? That's where my job comes in. But I would expect you to have seen The Office.

Starting point is 02:00:37 of her own. They done found Shorty Instagram. She's a white girl, by the way. Oh, yeah, she's a white girl. She could have been on Frasier.

Starting point is 02:01:33 we got you because you can't do none of that shit. Her name is Nicole Feegan. Let me ask you though how do they know that she did these things? The nigga who she called ratted they have her dead to right
Starting point is 02:01:48 so I'm sure I'm not saying over how how did they find out that she did those things I think they may have did an investigation I feel like if you're defending a Rico

Starting point is 02:02:53 We saw Max Lawyer. We say it too much up here, so we can leave it alone. Yeah, we can leave it alone, brother. But she ain't beat that. She ain't got Max B. Lawyer B at all. She was a mess. She was a mess. She was a white girl in the car doing the running man while she driving.
Starting point is 02:03:07 What are we talking about, my nigga? And she had the gangster lyrics playing while she was beating cases. Come on, dog. She talking about one of my favorite things is when somebody see me and say, ain't you such and such? Yeah, you don't remember, but you freed me from a drug charge. The funniest shit is they said that this white lady is her mom. Put something on it.
Starting point is 02:03:27 I sell ice in the winter. I sell fire in hell. I am a hospital baby. I sell water to a well. I was born to get cake. I was born to switch states. Nah, they said that's really her mom. Like, not a joke. It's not her mom.
Starting point is 02:03:42 I was born to get cake. I was born to get cake. Not a joke. It's not her mom. There's dick in her face. There's shit straight. Fuck off. This is Big J. Ah. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 02:03:52 Ever. Fuck off. Fuck off. Look at the ish wet dream. White girl singing some hoes. Old white lady singing. Oh, man. I'll be at my mom's house unplugging all this shit I wouldn't rush
Starting point is 02:04:07 to office neither shit they called her Saul Goodwoman oh shit stupid yo that's crazy
Starting point is 02:04:14 yo when is this YSL trial supposed to be over 2027 shit keeps happening yeah this is a mess like all jokes aside
Starting point is 02:04:24 if you're a juror how do you not find just a hung juror like this is a mess This is a mess. Like, all jokes aside, if you're a juror, how do you not find just a hung jury? Like, this is a mess. Yeah, this is a mess. I know Gunna watching like, whoa. This is a mess.
Starting point is 02:04:34 Why are they trying to get Glenn? Gunna the performance instead of Jennifer Hudson. No. Who signed off? Common. Common's got to be stopped, man. Probably.
Starting point is 02:04:44 That make a lot of sense. Common's got to be stopped. That's my lot of sense Common gotta be stopped That's my man And got a nice bag too Probably Oh yeah Big check Oh Big check
Starting point is 02:04:52 Did y'all see I had a game A little pump it up for that Oh What You gave a lot of pump it up For that I had a game
Starting point is 02:04:59 A little pump it up And some NBA Gotta do NBA Gotta do NBA It's an all star game Give a little verse. A little verse from NBA. Little Marcus Houston.
Starting point is 02:05:09 Sorry. Change the beat. Sorry, y'all. We can do a replay. Oh, shit. I want to have that Tiffany Reid talk. Okay. What happened? Tiffany. The writer. What happened? Tiffany. The writer.
Starting point is 02:05:26 Oh, the writer. The writer, yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay, yeah, yeah. I do want to have that talk. Y'all want to have it now? Y'all want to have it later? We could. It don't have to be a long talk.
Starting point is 02:05:34 All right, we can have it then. Yeah, let's have it. Let's have it. Okay. I'm going to play some of the video. It was a long video. It was like 15 minutes. It's a 15-minute video.
Starting point is 02:05:44 But you get the gist of what she's saying in the beginning of it almost every record that i have done i have written when the artist was not in the room okay that's fast i'll go through my own songs let's do it replay zendaya got 10 of the publishing i think she did not write on the song. She didn't. That song was written at a Rihanna song camp. Zendaya, Zendaya. It was on hold for Rihanna. Then it was on hold for Rita Ora.
Starting point is 02:06:15 Famous came to me and said, yo, Tiff, there's this artist named Zendaya. We should cut a replay on her. Zendaya is the one you feel like she could have stood her ground, but that's still Zendaya. Zendaya got published in a writer credit. She did not write on the site. But she wasn't then.
Starting point is 02:06:27 She was. Yes, she was. She was Disney TV. She's TV. She's TV. She's TV. She's TV. She's TV.
Starting point is 02:06:30 She's TV. She's TV. She's TV. She's TV. She's TV. She's TV. She's TV. She's TV.
Starting point is 02:06:30 She's TV. She's TV. She's TV. She's TV. She's TV. She's TV. She's TV. She's TV.
Starting point is 02:06:31 She's TV. She's TV. She's TV. She's TV. She's TV. She's TV. She's TV. She's TV.
Starting point is 02:06:31 She's TV. She's TV. She's TV. She's TV. She's TV. She's TV. She's TV. She's TV.
Starting point is 02:06:31 She's TV. She's TV. She's TV. She's TV. She's TV. She's TV. She's TV. She's TV.
Starting point is 02:06:31 She's TV. She's TV. She's TV. She's TV. She's TV. She's TV. She's TV. She's TV.
Starting point is 02:06:32 She's TV. She's TV. She's TV. She's TV. She's TV. She's TV. She's TV in my living room that don't matter baby tamar got i don't know i don't know what she ended up getting i think i own like 85 of that song but i should own all of it because i did all of it she didn't write shit seven streeter who's a songwriter i love just being honest seven
Starting point is 02:06:58 streeter love this song being honest love that song did that song it was originally called bitch i wrote that song by myself i'm not even really a big co-writer like that i prefer writing songs by myself because i don't know i just prefer to write like that so i have a lot of records that i have placed that either have one co-writer on or that i've written solo what her beef is i'll turn this down while she keeps talking because it is long i won't cut it off what her beef is, I'll turn this down while she keeps talking because it is long. I won't cut it off. What her beef is, is that she is writing songs by herself and she does not have 100% publishing of the songs that she wrote. Yeah. Stars usually take some type of percentage. 10%. Okay.
Starting point is 02:07:37 5%. Is that like an industry standard kind of thing? Or just an unwritten rule? This is where the beef is. Based on what she was saying is, yo, I'm songs i'm at home i'm not in the studio with the star i'm not nowhere around she even goes on to say that one of the songs that she placed i think it was the beyonce joint she wrote six years ago okay that wasn't her that was her people but oh i'm sorry somebody that wrote a renaissance album wrote the song six years ago
Starting point is 02:08:05 and beyonce got a nice piece of the writing credit for the song so i get both sides i think that was only 15 too i don't she i don't know one of them but she said she named a few on renaissance but her her thing is yo i'm doing all the work and i'm having to split the credit so i think i know what joe's brain is going to go is, yo, when an artist of that magnitude, you get a placement with an artist
Starting point is 02:08:30 of that magnitude, you got to give up something. To now go on in history and say, yo, I wrote this, I wrote that, I wrote this, I wrote that
Starting point is 02:08:38 for these people. Now your price is probably crazy because those songs are some of the most recognizable songs in the world. You had to basically crawl to get to that level I
Starting point is 02:08:48 kind of feel I mean I agree with that the problem a lot of songwriters have you could write all of these songs in your living room and if nobody hear them they stay in your living room and you own a hundred percent of that a hundred percent of zero is zero all day so if you getting you started off same thing with production, I'm sure. Yeah. Until you could say, yo, I produced this, this, this, this, and this. Now my price per beat is $250.
Starting point is 02:09:14 Right. Whereas if you was keeping 100%, giving your shit to the local niggas, you would still be getting $15,000 a beat. But when it comes to prolific songwriters like Diane Warren or, I don't know, Sia or whatever, because of their history and their reputation, do they get to keep, let's just say they wrote a song in its entirety, is it written as just them as the solo writer just because of that? Depends on, depends. If they get a Beyonce record, probably not.
Starting point is 02:09:42 And let me ask a question. Y'all are musicians. If I'm an artist and you write a song for me and I go and add something to it, something small, you get a co-writer credit. I'm going to put a credit on that. You should. I think that's probably where it originated. How much of the song has to be altered to logistically or legally put co-writer. Not a word.
Starting point is 02:10:07 And that's her point. She's saying some of these songs I wrote entirely. I produced some of them entirely. And somebody is getting a credit on some shit that they didn't touch. That's her gripe. But them putting their name on it
Starting point is 02:10:21 is touching it. No, it's not touching the creative piece. I'm not talking about the creative piece. I'm just saying me putting my name on it is touching it. No, it's not touching the creative piece. I'm not talking about the creative piece. I'm just saying me putting my name on it don't mean you wrote it and don't mean you produced it. It does if I'm going to sing it. That's what they're saying. There you go. That's what they're saying.
Starting point is 02:10:35 If I'm going to sing this song, I'm getting something. It's foul, but. I don't even think it's foul. I don't think it's necessarily foul. I don't really think it's foul either. I think it's just the bumps and the bruises that come along as you climb up the ladder. When you get to the ladder and maybe you're at a Neo level or a... Diane Warren.
Starting point is 02:10:54 John T. Austin level, now I'm taking my shit. I'm Dream. I wrote this. Right. You get what I'm saying? So I'm going to get my shit. But I'm sure they got their asses whipped on a climb as well. I think still to this day, depending on where you lay in this shit... Depending on what artist, you're right. They're still going to end up giving a piece. I'm saying? So I'm going to get my shit. But I'm sure they got their asses whipped on their climb as well. I think still to this day,
Starting point is 02:11:05 depending on where you lay in this shit, they're still going to end up giving a piece. I'm sure. So I just think it's just a part of the game. I think that the diplomacy, the bad part is now she done came forward, she might have fucked herself. Nah, I don't think so.
Starting point is 02:11:18 If you wanted them, you wanted them. She's wanted them. All right, if you wanted them, you wanted them. And every songwriter, I think that is a career songwriter and not an artist songwriter has had the same gripe publicly. Had the same beef. Jonte Austin actually addressed this because somebody asked him about it.
Starting point is 02:11:34 And he said, a huge artist with the reach to put my song all around the world can have a piece. That's not to say that B doesn't write because she does. But the smarter business acumen says that 85 of a billion streams is better than 100 of 20 000 streams there you go without question there you go so i think yeah like like what i'm saying about the young lady is there are plenty of artists out there that will let her keep 100 of her publishing it may be a much newer artist. It might be somebody who is not in the greatest standing with the label. Some of these artists come with the button is getting pushed on this
Starting point is 02:12:12 song. It don't matter if you write the song, they write the song, this one is getting pushed. And that's worth something. It should be. Like when I heard her, when I listened to the whole video, but as she started getting into her splits she's like I only got 85% of this and Tamar well that one I think is real good but then this other one I only got 85 I'm like
Starting point is 02:12:31 yo you winning you making out like a bandit you winning for the artist that she's naming she's naming 7 Streeter who has written with everybody so she know all the writing tricks of the trade
Starting point is 02:12:43 Tamar Braxton another writer like you dealing with people who know all the writing tricks of the trade tamar braxton another writer like you dealing with people who know all of this they know the game so if i'm gonna sing it what we talking about again i think just the the opportunity to say zendaya was on top or i wrote whatever song with a button it come with a price i agree with that because now your number goes up in the future because you wrote all that shit. That's not necessarily true because a lot of songwriters do not get an advance,
Starting point is 02:13:10 like a fee for writing a song. They get their publishing. And that's a problem. To some. Some people don't want an advance because it's really coming out of your money anyway. She don't sound like she want none of that. In the clip, she says, I do not work. I, you're paying it back. Yeah. She don't sound like she want none of that. Like in the clip, she says,
Starting point is 02:13:25 I do not work. I make my living off of publishing. Right. So I can see how that person is sitting there looking at her statement saying,
Starting point is 02:13:34 oh, but she ain't doing too bad if you're asking me. Oh, probably not. But I could, I could, I, you know, on the business aspect,
Starting point is 02:13:43 I think that it's cool. I just look at it. You can keep your 100% if you want it. But no, on the business aspect, I think that it's cool. I just look at it. You could keep your 100% if you want it. But no, from the creative aspect, you're like, yo, dog, you getting 25% of this shit. I wrote this shit 17 years ago after I broke up with my dude. But the jewel for her, right, is one day, you know, I can't speak to her aspirations. One day, you may want to go get your own publishing deal. And if that day comes, you have all of these hits to say, hey, I did all these.
Starting point is 02:14:10 It don't matter what the splits are. That's what I'm saying. I did these. And that's where your payday can come to. And that's what I was saying. Everybody don't want to do that. It don't sound like she wants to do that. It sounds like she really does understand the fruits of publishing.
Starting point is 02:14:24 But I don't think it's going to get much better than this if you're going to continue really does understand the fruits of publishing. But I don't think it's going to get much better than this if you're going to continue to work with this caliber of artists. Even that, I wrote this song six years ago,
Starting point is 02:14:33 10 years ago, whatever. You had 100% of it for six years. Sitting. Just sitting there. You got your 100%. You are correct. Now you give up 15%
Starting point is 02:14:42 and look what it's doing now. So let me ask you. What are we talking about? Do they sign off on that and know the splits prior to or no? It depends. Because she kind of was sounding like she was kind of shocked or surprised. Sometimes the information comes kind of all at once. Hey, by the way, we're using this and these are the splits.
Starting point is 02:15:05 Yeah, they might have did this. They might have did the song, but once it came down and I'm picking it, like Park said, now we got business to do. Have your people call my people and it's like...
Starting point is 02:15:14 This shit is coming out next week, by the way. Especially in today's climate. Especially in today's climate, it'd be like, oh, this is coming out, by the way. This is what we got for you. And you can negotiate a little bit,
Starting point is 02:15:22 but depending on your standing. But... Or you can say... Your back's against the wall a little bit. Or you can say, no, I ain't going home with your song. I you can negotiate a little bit, but depending on your standing. But, or you can max against the wall a little bit. Or you can say, no, I ain't going home with your song. I was just going to say, but you know you want that song to come out. Correct. You know you want it. It's yours.
Starting point is 02:15:34 So you always got the ability to say, nah, no, thank you. That makes sense. Now you keep your 100%. I was just asking the process. And nobody hears your song. True. I was asking the process because the way she was sounding, sounding, she didn't really, you know what I mean? She didn't know.
Starting point is 02:15:46 I do think songwriters are underappreciated, especially in today's climate where a lot of people don't write really good songs. So the really good ones should be celebrated and should be given some grace. I agree. But I don't think giving up 5, 10, 15 maybe percent, I think much more than that gets a little crazy for a star.
Starting point is 02:16:02 I don't think that's the craziest thing in the world, personally. I would do that gladly to land on a Beyonce star, I don't think that's the craziest thing in the world, personally. I would do that gladly to land on a Beyonce project. I'm about to say, Beyonce or the right artist called, shit. Hold it.
Starting point is 02:16:14 Yeah, take it. Yeah. I'm going to get mine from all the business that come after. That come after that. Yeah, I agree with that. Shout out to the young lady, though.
Starting point is 02:16:23 Yeah, no doubt. Shout out to her. Shout out to her. And all the songwriters out there. It's tough. It's a tough business. Yeah, shout out to the young lady, though. Yeah, no doubt. Shout out to her. Shout out to her. And all the songwriters out there. It's tough. It's a tough business. Yeah, shout out to all the songwriters out there. It's a tough business.
Starting point is 02:16:29 And we need more songwriters, so I think anything that we can do to incentivize them would be good. Yeah, like paying people for songs. Yeah, these songs don't be songs no more. You know what I'm saying? Like, there's very few actual good songs. Told you, I've been in my Neo bag for like the last two weeks, yo. Yeah. That shit, because he write. He write result these are my niggas be caca y'all me
Starting point is 02:16:50 fuck you on the balcony okay all right oh you got it bro mm-hmm good on you if you were a writer would you after after having this conversation, would you be down to give up some of your pubs for a big placement? I'd gladly. What? Okay. A thousand percent. All right, just asking. I think until you get to a certain level, you gotta crawl before you walk, bro.
Starting point is 02:17:15 Everything is a give and take. It's also, even when you're at a certain level. We've seen, what was it, Bink complaining about Kanye with the devil in a new dress, giving up some points to Mike Dean, I think it was. He was tight about that. He was tight about that. The game is the game. The game is the game. I didn't really think Bink should have been tight about that, though.
Starting point is 02:17:35 I didn't think so either. Like, you could hear the Mike Dean part. Yeah, and it does get tricky, though, in certain situations, because Ye, in particular, and a lot of people now will give a million different producers producer credit, and it might get tricky, though, in certain situations, because Ye in particular, and a lot of people now, will give a million different producers producer credit, and it might be a guy adding a hi-hat, which is really not a writing credit. You know what I mean? It might be someone playing a bass line,
Starting point is 02:17:55 which is really not a writing credit, respectfully. So it gets tricky. Hey, Bank, I can hear Mike Dean on that one. Yeah, no, no, he played a guitar solo. He wrote something on that song. And that really adds to the song, that part. Yeah. When they drop the drums out. Oh, come on.
Starting point is 02:18:18 Sorry, buddy. Sorry. He getting some of that pop. Yeah, he gonna get that. Hey, if you do that on my old records, I'll come give you some pub. That shit. Mike Dean, boy. Benzino.
Starting point is 02:18:33 Benzino did Drink Champs. There are a million different ways to approach this segment. I watched the entire three hours of this podcast because I was homesick and could not cut it off. I tried. But every time I went to hit the button, I got that E.T. finger. Just kept pausing.
Starting point is 02:18:57 I watched all three hours of this shit. And it was such an emotional roller coaster for me, boy. I laughed. For you too for me yeah I laughed I smiled almost cried I got sad I reflected a little bit uh I don't know if anybody else here saw it. I saw clips. I'll just run off with the mouth real quick. I smiled because this is the Benzino and not just Benzino, but some of the niggas that was moving
Starting point is 02:19:36 around back then, like, I want to hear from them. I want to hear from them in that light. He may be the bud of many jokes today for some people but the truth of the matter is his contribution to hip-hop is large no question i agree a thousand percent it's it's large and in that little heyday he was running around here with more money than niggas and more cars with niggas and more niggas and he had some niggas if you know rso benzino and the made men benzino
Starting point is 02:20:16 so when he sat there that is the benzino that sat there to speak it wasn't Corley Ray's dad just yet or it wasn't loving hip hop Benzino yet it was and that's why I appreciate Nori and his platform and we'll get into some of the hate that he got Nori from publishing this interview as well but I like that hip hop
Starting point is 02:20:40 has a place where hey we gonna salute and respect your contributions and the work that you've done no matter where it stands today I like that part he got into you know he did all of the he did all of the shouting out the different hoods and just different niggas he got money with different dough boy just how he was running around all the vanity shit he did then he got into some of the business of the source which was interesting for me because as a youngin you know all we doing is five mics
Starting point is 02:21:15 we just knew it was embedded in culture but as an adult to hear him talking about some of the uh how they had to sell it, how Dave Mays got involved in the source, how Dave Mays came to him, how they went and got the investors. And then it was time to sell. And who did he say? Bob Johnson, I think offered him $55 million.
Starting point is 02:21:39 He said, I walked away. He really was in his bag talking about how his heyday and the decisions that he made. He said, I walked away from the $55 million because we owed $30 million. So we owed $30. Me and Dave was going to get $25 to bust down, which makes it $12,500. After taxes, we walk away with X amount of dollars. It wasn't worth it
Starting point is 02:22:06 so they kept it he talked about all of the old source stories of niggas coming up there trying to get in the magazine and exactly guns up there yada yada yada gotten to that right and he took his big swig of alcohol early he took the big swig early and I knew it was a big swig because Nori and EFN was like hey my brother it's a long it's a lot of game left hey it's a lot of show left my brother you might want to slow it down but he didn't took the big swig kept talking maybe 20 minutes in he took another really big swig see and now that's where I'm bigging up the platform because this was like a hip hop version of the Cat Williams Club's Shea Shea interview. He was up there dropping names, talking shit. He called out Paul Pierce.
Starting point is 02:22:56 He called out Paul Pierce for ratting on the stand and sending some of his niggas up. I thought that was a real important message that he said. up i thought that was a real important message that he said he said you nba nfl athlete niggas come to other dudes cities and towns and get disrespectful and start fucking uh girls that belong to street niggas from the town he said paul pierce you did that at a made men release party where you fucked with my man's girl got aggressive with her he a street nigga got nothing to lose he's from down bottom he bust his gun you did that there of course he was gonna handle you and you still got on that stand and pointed him out he said this dude is doing 20 this dude is doing eight i paid a buck 50 for the lawyer so my man who had nothing to do with it
Starting point is 02:23:44 could not could not, could not go down. But that was some fuck shit you did. He's he's. So there was a part of that. We start calling niggas out and that was real shit. I appreciated that. Then he started taking fake swigs of any,
Starting point is 02:23:56 of any bottle. And we was thanking God for that because he didn't need to drink no more. And nor he needs some type of cue to somebody in the room or to the whole room that lets everybody know this person shouldn't drink anymore. Because about halfway through the interview,
Starting point is 02:24:16 yeah, he was a little nuts. He was screaming out, fuck niggas. He said, fuck Joe Budden a bunch of times. Fuck Joe Budden a bunch of times. Norrie, you got the best pod in the world. Yada, yada, yada. Norrie, you handled that like a gentleman of times. Nor you got the best pod in the world, yada, yada, yada.
Starting point is 02:24:25 Nor you handled that like a gentleman and I could hear some of the edits. I could hear where you had to edit a little bit. But two hours in, the liquor had totally taken over
Starting point is 02:24:34 and now it was some truth serum time. So by the end, he really did start to kick some knowledge. He really did start to say some things that would resonate about how we treat each other, how we're viewed. He really was using Eminem as a symbol. He kept talking about him and he's got a thing with M that dates back to the source yeah but in a bigger picture M for him
Starting point is 02:25:07 was a symbol of white people in society and he just got drunk deep at the end but he was real drunk like real gone gone gone standing up crying standing up, crying, walking away, almost uncontrollable. By the end, everybody that he had said, fuck you to during the interview. He said, I don't have no beef with you. I got nothing but love for you because we need unity. And me and this person go back and we need each other because in the bigger picture, we'll never get anywhere because they don't. They stick together and they run the banks and they run. At the end, there was some substance there
Starting point is 02:25:49 if you can get through the liquor, the emotions, and your sadness in watching this man have this live therapy session on a podcast while pissy drunk. By the end, there was nothing Nori and EFN could do. You had to just let him go. Really. Even when they ended the shit, Benzino thought he was going to the bathroom.
Starting point is 02:26:14 Three hours later, Benzino after the whole race, I gotta go pee. They was like, oh yeah, yeah. Yeah, no, you go piss. Camera. Thank you all for coming out. Alright. If you find some time, check it out. I'm going to watch it.
Starting point is 02:26:31 It will be tough to not, it'll be tough to stop it once it gets started. But Nori's catching some heat from publishing this. Why? Because he looks sloppy drunk. The clips I've seen, it was sloppily drunk. This was another MC Shan. This was another Kanye.
Starting point is 02:26:52 This was one of those types of interviews. So they looking at it like, yo, you inviting people up here. You are getting them pissy, pissy, pissy, pissy drunk. Like to where, and capturing them like this and putting it
Starting point is 02:27:05 out it's actually exploitation so you say that the show is to give flowers and i do believe that i believe i believe that but we want to we want to highlight these people and not view them in drunk uncle light my thing for benzino is what we would do the same thing If these niggas went on Club Shea Shea And got pissy, pissy, pissy, pissy, pissy drunk See they go up there And take a couple swigs And still be kind of classy and cool They don't go up there
Starting point is 02:27:33 Down and back Like we do in hip hop And now they can't control themselves When people go sit on that show The mess is coming Just because they sitting there To get the mess out On this show It seem like sitting there to get the mess out. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:27:48 On this show, it seemed like they want to get the mess out. But by the time all the liquor is in, once you're inebriated, it's coming off different. But like you said, there's nobody there to monitor the situation. And then at the same time, these are grown ass adults who can make decisions for themselves. So what do you look like? You guys don't. Grown ass adults. I don't mean don't ass adults i i i understand that but it's just like we're the ones being the most pain and i i don't want to say grown ass adults to negate some of the pain that people are walking around you can control yourself as an adult though i'm literally i'm literally speaking from the standpoint of actually having done the show and gotten fucking shit faced.
Starting point is 02:28:25 But my reasons for doing that was like a whole bunch of nerves. But there was a voice inside my head that said, yo, Mel, slow the fuck down. But why didn't you listen to it? Because I just didn't. I just didn't. Because I think what happens is a lot of people go to that particular show. It's drink champs. It's liquor everywhere.
Starting point is 02:28:42 It's a really. Exactly. It's a big city. It's Miami. Exactly. It's a dope environment. it's a lot of fun supposed to do nothing wrong with having a drink in miami to miami people right right no matter what time there's having a drink and there's getting but what i but what i willie's open at 11 but what i see from like guys is men don't like to police another man's behavior. Don't like to say, hey, yo, my nigga, you got to slow down a little bit.
Starting point is 02:29:11 And niggas don't be receptive to that either. Exactly. So where does Nori and EFN see the point in which we're like, okay, put the cameras down. Like, hey, yo, you might want to slow down. There's no... But if that's the case, there's no but if that's the case there's no shot to norry but now your responsibility as a journalist comes in and now you got to play the edit game you got to play the cut game people are saying that you shouldn't be showing these people when they are totally fucked up rambling and saying certain things i remember the feedback he got for the kodak interview
Starting point is 02:29:44 and they were like yo and they were like yo dog you og the feedback he got for the Kodak interview. And they were like, yo, and they were like, yo, dog, you OG in this game and you got Kodak up there and he doesn't seem to be in his right mind and you are still now giving it to the world to see. Edit that shit. And I'm not, what I'm, what I'm, I'm about to say like, you know, and this is no shots fired to anybody, but Kodak had, that was not just an isolated incident
Starting point is 02:30:10 going up on Drink Champs. He was known to have had or suspected to have had a substance and or alcohol abuse issue. So that's a larger conversation to even be had when it comes to Kodak.
Starting point is 02:30:31 My thing is, these are adults you he can't put nothing out that y'all don't give him so if you don't go on there and allow yourself to get to this state he can't put that on let me say I think in knowing yo you go I don't go in the drink champs I know how I get up there eat a big meal yeah yeah oh yeah I'm a pace myself I'm only gonna do that, you got to set some type of... Boundary. You got to take responsibility and set some type of personal limit to what you do. Yeah. No, I brought my own liquor.
Starting point is 02:30:52 There's water in this, but it looked like a water bottle. It looked like vodka. Nori literally said, literally said, he was just like, yo, man, like, I hope she's okay, but, I mean, that right there is what we want from the show. That is the end result that we want from the show. I walked outside the door and puked my guts out in between two parked cars and then was out for the next, I don't know, 10 hours. I was shocked you went up there and acted like that. I'll be honest with you.
Starting point is 02:31:19 Seriously. I was drunk. I know, but you are the person in my brain conservative reserved I am listen I don't
Starting point is 02:31:29 I have I can't watch the episode because I defied all of my my my rules the rules I've set
Starting point is 02:31:38 for myself in terms of how I conduct myself especially in a public forum when it comes to interviews that was not me. We know. You know, and so I have, I can't watch it because I can't see that version of myself. I can't.
Starting point is 02:31:51 It just, it nauseates me. You do get into auntie mode when the drinks come out. And you do seem like a good time now. I ain't gonna lie to you. I ain't gonna lie to you now. When the drinks come out, a little wine. We're a little melly. Yeah, I know. Oh, shit. Speaking of mess, we're going to finish this Benzino topic.
Starting point is 02:32:11 But I forgot to tell y'all, who here is going to be tasked with getting the real Mandy and Bridget story? Ish. Ish. Somebody got to get the real tea. I think I am. All of that creative, different, all that shit is cool.
Starting point is 02:32:24 But somebody got gotta find out the truth either Ish or or Flip oh yeah Flip I forgot Flip's not here
Starting point is 02:32:32 look at y'all just put it on him he's not here yeah somebody gotta get us the truth Flip's task but we do all believe that there's more to the story
Starting point is 02:32:39 than that right you can now have to answer it's just fine I don't want to put you in a compromising spot. The rest of y'all, the rest of y'all,
Starting point is 02:32:48 what do y'all think? Is this a mess, dear? I'm betting. I think it might be. So, yo, right? I hate seeing Benzino because I'm 48 years old and I remember
Starting point is 02:33:00 how them niggas had Boston in the headlock. Wait, hold up before you get some tricks again. No, I'm trying. I'm trying. He tried to skirt that issue. But your appearance on Drink Champs is night and day from some of the other shows you've done.
Starting point is 02:33:16 Like, I be seeing, what's the little show? What's the little show you got? What did you call it? Black Women Speak. Bitches with Voices. Black Bitches with Something to Say. Is that what you called it earlier? Black Bitches with Thoughts. black black black woman speak bitches with voices black bitches with something to say is that what you called it earlier black bitches with thoughts
Starting point is 02:33:29 how dare they heifers with opinions right heifers with attitudes I'm gonna let them get at you get it all out just get it all out come on with the misogyny I'm going to let them fucking get at you. I'm going to massage your earring. Get it all out.
Starting point is 02:33:47 Just get it all out. Come on. Come on with the misogyny. Shit, yeah. Right after the show? Yeah. It's... Black bitches' voices. Listen to Black Women.
Starting point is 02:34:00 You've been that one. You've been that show. Unwanted Thoughts. Shout out to L'Oreal and Elle. On the total production. Unwanted Thoughts. Shout out to L'Oreal and Elle. On the total production. Unwanted Thoughts. That's what you said? Oh, nice.
Starting point is 02:34:08 You guys are going to get skewered. Who asked for these hoes? Holy Christ. What's the name of that show? Keep it up. Oh, boy. Oh, brother. These bitches again.
Starting point is 02:34:21 Oh, man. I'm giggling because y'all are giggling. Don't you gym us. Don't you gym us. You said you wasn't going to do that. Don't gym us. Don't gym us. We fell for it. All right, come on.
Starting point is 02:34:36 What happened? Does he know what about the education system in the 70s? What happened, y'all? I like show titles better, y'all. It's all about class. When you was talking, it kind of took me out. Bitches with voices. Thoughts from the kitchen.
Starting point is 02:34:51 Oh, shit. I believe they don't cook. What do you think they cook? Do you think Mel, L'Oreal, and Ebony came? All right. Oh, shit. I love L'Oreal, by the way. Go ahead, man.
Starting point is 02:35:06 Shout out to L'Oreal. Mm-hmm. Oh, wait till Bridget come do that show. You better act right. Who on the show? You, L'Oreal, and who? It's L'Oreal and L. Varner.
Starting point is 02:35:19 Oh. Yes. Oh, I love L'Oreal. I'm not talking about L. Varner. Yeah, yeah. None of this is about her. She's excluded from the bitches that got opinions. Yeah, yeah. I like her. We absolutely love L.varner. I'm not talking about Alvarner. Yeah, yeah. None of this is about her. Oh, she's excluded from the bitches that got opinions?
Starting point is 02:35:26 Yeah, yeah. I like her. We absolutely love Alvarner. For years. I love Al. I know that. You should have started with that. Yeah, come on.
Starting point is 02:35:33 I fucking... Then you'd have got some respect. It's clear that you guys did not watch it. It's clear. And it wasn't even that long. Nobody wants to hear it. Nobody knows about it. Nobody wants to hear it from black women?
Starting point is 02:35:48 Hmm. Nobody said that. Mm- said that he didn't say that okay nobody wants to hear what from you Joke it up, joke it up. Holy shit. Come on, Ishton. Yeah, come on. In the 1950s is when... The Civil War. Brown versus Board of Education. Billy D. Rockefeller. No, you was talking about how, like, yo, the source was a black... Well, is he black? It was black. Or he is Spanish.
Starting point is 02:36:19 He's Puerto Rican and black and something else. But yo, like, that was a level of bigger business back then that a lot of us hadn't gotten to. You know what I'm saying? So the challenges and the struggles that they, I never thought about them niggas having to get investors and going to banks asking for money and all of that other shit.
Starting point is 02:36:35 Them niggas was at a high, high level back then that now we starting to see that shit come to a different level of fruition. That's to be commended. Them niggas was somebody. And I hate to see him shit come to a different level of fruition that that's to be commended them niggas with somebody like and i hate to see him on love and hip-hop no i like i hate to see him on love and hip-hop and niggas be looking at him like he a goof you get what i'm saying because benzino was one of them niggas in in our industry that was you know paved away for a whole bunch of other shit so it's tough being bobby brown bobby then, you got to be Bobby now. He talked about just making it out of Boston as a black person a lot.
Starting point is 02:37:11 Like, he kept rapping where he was from. He kept saying, I'm from Four Corners. He was crying saying it. It's tough for Bostonians. He hit a lot of spots, is what I was saying. Yeah, I believe you. Yo, you made me want to go watch that shit. No, he hit a lot of spots is what I was saying. Yeah, I believe you. Yo, you made me want to go watch that shit. No, he hit a lot of spots.
Starting point is 02:37:27 He did. He did. I mean. Salute. No, he's a hip hop great. And niggas don't be looking at him like that. You get what I'm saying?
Starting point is 02:37:35 Like, that's the thing that be disturbing me a little bit. Yeah, that's a younger hip hop thing. Like, once your run is over or once you not hot no more, they just treat you like you never was shit.
Starting point is 02:37:49 He got into Corley Ray coming into hip hop, feeling like everybody hates her dad, so she has to kind of side with Eminem publicly anyway. He talked about how he felt with the whole Corley Ray Busta Rhymes video situation. He just talked about just as a dad, as a dad, having, having a child in this thing, when you come from this thing, even if this thing is shunning you now, right? It was just loaded.
Starting point is 02:38:17 It was, it was loaded. It was loaded, man. No, I can only imagine. Shout out to Benzino. I don't beat for Benzino. I don't have, that shit ended I said a prayer I was saying a prayer not just for Benzino but for our entertainers that we we just gotta go through so fucking much and while I wanted to feel bad at the end with him doing all that
Starting point is 02:38:40 crying and just spilling all the trauma out shit by the time i cut it off i'm jealous a little bit oh that shit looked like six flags to me it's like great adventure to be able to go somewhere in a room full of my niggas talk some shit say some war stories about my heyday and then get all my trauma out and just cry in the middle of the room and take it over? That's my bad. Why didn't you do it when you went on Drink Chance? Because I'm responsible, distinguished,
Starting point is 02:39:10 black business owner, black father, black success story. And so what? You can't have a moment? I go on there and say, yo, hand me the water because I don't take your platform
Starting point is 02:39:19 for granted. Hand me the water. It's too many cameras. It's too much big business here. And it's too many eyes that's come from this. That's the beauty of me going to Link with my brother in Miami, Nori, is that when you come to New York, you know we lit over here. When we go to Miami, you lit over there. That's the beauty of black media or new media.
Starting point is 02:39:40 I agree. So you had to be reserved is what you're saying. I want to say black, but not just black, because I'll go get with J.J. Reddick, and we'll start talking new media, just not controlled media. Old, old archaic voices with old, controlled, contrived opinions.
Starting point is 02:39:57 We get to hear from us. Me, you, the Kelsey brothers, Micah, J.J. Reddick, Mel Ford, black niggas from the hood. We get to hear it. Yeah. So, yeah, that's why not me. I go over there and it's big business time.
Starting point is 02:40:11 But I want to cry. You know I want to cry inside. I know you was home like, oh, that's some big business. You know I wanted to cry. I tried to force some tears out. I tried to put my finger in my eye. I was going to get some tears. That shit look like a blast.
Starting point is 02:40:25 Stupid. A cry session on camera? Y'all ever cry while you're fucking? Yes. No. I might have did it once. Once a makeup section. You guys have never shed a tear while you...
Starting point is 02:40:39 No? This macho, Mr. Macho Machismo himself? I know, I know. I saw the face. I'm Mr. Macho? Yes. You are Mr. Alpha Man.ismo. I know, I know. I saw the face. I'm Mr. Macho? Yes. You are Mr. Alpha Man. Oh, boy.
Starting point is 02:40:47 You trying to fool people with pink hoodie strings. You are Mr. Alpha Mega. You the Mega Alpha. No. I don't really got no spot. The girls start crying when you hit that spot. I don't really got no spot. No, you got a spot.
Starting point is 02:41:05 I'm good. I don't really got no spot. No, you got a spot. I'm good. I wouldn't know. If you hit the spot, the girls start crying. I take your word for it. She might make you cry. Yo, why do men never want to acknowledge the spot? Because it's back there. You can acknowledge it.
Starting point is 02:41:18 Because, no, what you got to do to reach the spot is not necessarily in my... Repertoire? Wheelhouse. Oh. It ain't hard to reach the spot. I wouldn't know. wheelhouse hey all right the recent spot the long shit that like the candles will curve now. You like the bottom. I'll take your word for it, Cat Daddy. I'm good.
Starting point is 02:41:50 I'll pass. This nigga here. Oh, y'all are nasty, sir. I trust you. Listen, thoughts and prayers to fucking Benzino and anybody else out there who may need him. He ain't the only one going through some shit out here. That's true. This nigga's going through real shit out here
Starting point is 02:42:04 with nobody to tell it to, nobody to talk to. Only time you can think about it is when you alone in your fucking room with the dark thoughts and the dark voices. And you running from that.
Starting point is 02:42:14 Yeah, no. To be honest. That's the last thing they want is to sit there and be alone with thoughts. And we self-medicating with shit, self-prescribing some shit.
Starting point is 02:42:23 Hearing you talk about it. Self-diagnosing. Self-soothing, yeah. I think the interview going bold well for him. Because it's going humanizing. It should. He got in my bag.
Starting point is 02:42:31 It's going humanizing. Anytime I cried publicly, something good came from it. See, that's why I ain't with all that crying in my room shit, even though I do that too. They was hitting you on the DMs? Who?
Starting point is 02:42:43 You equate a good, great results to pussy all the time. Me though. All right. They was hitting me. That's what you think I was crying for? So the bitches get me? I mean, it works. I just sprinkled the silence in there like, yo, this is me, my nigga.
Starting point is 02:43:02 This is me. A good public cry. You shitting me? He said, you shitting me? He not scared to be who he really is me, my nigga. This is me. A good public cry. You shitting me? Are you shitting me? He not scared to be who he really is. He's so in touch with his emotions. He's so like, I love it. Because it's easy.
Starting point is 02:43:12 All you got to do is drop one or two of the main tears and then just get into your funny sniffling breathing. That's all you got to do. Drop one or two. Yeah, a little stutter. Or you can cover your face There's so many ways to do it Cover the face
Starting point is 02:43:30 Yeah So many ways So many ways to do it Cover the face Oh, man Or you can start laughing at yourself Like SZA did at the Grammys Yo, crying used to be in y'all
Starting point is 02:43:40 Got caught cheating back? Yeah Yes Nigga, you gotta ask me Listen, listen Hey, hey Yes got caught cheating back? Yeah. Yes. Nigga, you got to ask me. Yes, sir. Yes. Hey, hey.
Starting point is 02:43:49 Yes. Oh, okay. Yes. I was just asking. Sometimes I hit him with the crying. Sometimes I had that Uno reverse in my car. I hit him with the
Starting point is 02:43:57 I understand. What you understand? What do you understand? Why she feels she has to leave. Ah. Ah. Ah. That is a reverse card. We used to live in like what you understand why she feels she has to leave ah ah ah
Starting point is 02:44:06 that is a reverse card we used to live in like Maplewood with the gas lights that's your boy they had them gas lights over there in the suburbs the second you understand
Starting point is 02:44:16 why she leaving she change her mind that's when she works it out that's a barf a lot of times that is in fact what happens you little cause she just wanted to be understood I get it baby I was wrong That's when you work shit out. That's a barf. A lot of times that is in fact what happens. You little fuck.
Starting point is 02:44:25 Because she just wanted to be understood. I get it, baby. I was wrong. I could have done more. I would leave me too. I can't believe I was so blind living in the same house with you missing all the signs that you clearly were giving away. You know what?
Starting point is 02:44:38 I took you for granted. Yeah. Shit. What's up? Damn. I never been down those roads cause you don't get caught I was very very
Starting point is 02:44:50 stealth back in the day stealth yeah you think he's stealth no I'm asking him if that's what he would describe himself as yo you stealth yo if you look at her and say yes. I said yeah already.
Starting point is 02:45:07 I said yes. Oh my God, you'll never be an alligator. All right. Anything else that's super important? Oh, we got tours and festivals. Oh yeah, we got festivals out. Yes, sir. The Roots Picnic announced their lineup.
Starting point is 02:45:19 I'm in there. Yeah, I am too. It's June 1st and 2nd in Philly. If y'all get jumped, shot, stabbed, or beat up, don't hit the group chat. You said in Philly. You said in Philly like... Clean it up. Philly your second home.
Starting point is 02:45:35 Yeah, that's what he said. No, you were saying it like Philly. No, no, hell no. No, no, no. Be respectful. No, not at all. Philly's my second home. Lil Wayne in the roots. Be respectful. No, not at all. Philly's my second home. Lil Wayne and the Roots. Jill Scott. Nas.
Starting point is 02:45:50 Gunna. Victoria Monet. Gunna is who they should have kicked Jennifer Hudson off for. That's who would have got it lit. A rat. Yeah. Yo, stop.
Starting point is 02:46:02 What? A rat would have got it lit. I like that rat shit. Them niggas make the slaps. But yeah, live mixtape, Black Thought, Redman Method Man. Phew. Adam Blackstone, Fantasia, Money Long. I mean, it's a lot of names on here. Yeah, I'm there. Adam Blackstone, Fantasia Money Long.
Starting point is 02:46:26 I mean, it's a lot of names on here. Yeah, I'm there. And Andre 3000 doing New Blue Sun. I'll be at the end of the stage for that one. Respectfully. Oh, wait a minute. Wait a minute. They're meditating now.
Starting point is 02:46:38 And it's Philly. Yeah. They're going to be out there on the grass. Wait, that might be the stage. I ain't going to hold you. What? I'm bringing incense. And mushrooms.

Starting point is 02:57:26 Where is he at? Here we go. Look at this lying ass nigga. I was asked this question a couple days ago. Will you kind of take the farewell tour or will you kind of just Tim Duncan it? I'm 50-50. I'm going to be honest because there's times where I feel like. Just to fuck up LeBron. LeBron James. LeBron just like the lock. Says he's 50-50. I'm going to be honest because there's times where I feel like. Just to fuck up LeBron.
Starting point is 02:57:47 LeBron James says he's 50-50 on whether he will retire like Kobe or retire like Tim Duncan, which was abrupt. I didn't tell nobody. Nobody knows. Just I'm retiring. I'm done. I'm out. Who the fuck does LeBron James think he's talking to? He said he don't take praise well or some shit like that, he would say.
Starting point is 02:58:11 Who the? The one who, when they introduced him at the All-Star game, went like this. Put the crown on. The same person. The one that got chosen one, tattooed on him. The one who is all about praise. What the fuck are we talking about, man? Come on, bro.
Starting point is 02:58:26 Nothing about LeBron's career says Tim Duncan. Not at all. Nothing. It's actually the exact... Tim Duncan's retirement was in line with Tim Duncan. Yes. That's true. With his character.
Starting point is 02:58:37 With his player profile. Who the fuck think LeBron is not getting multiple farewell tours? Two seasons. He's going to want every arena to hang his jersey up. LeBron is crazy. I think LeBron is going to have a camera crew shooting a documentary through his company. No question. Every single stadium.
Starting point is 02:58:59 Good point. Ten part series. Yeah. And then the movie is going to come out. Yeah. In theaters. Yeah. Album. Yeah. You got to do going to come out. Yeah. In theaters. Yeah. Album.
Starting point is 02:59:06 Yeah. You got to change through the album. For sure. You got to return the favor. Yeah. Yeah. You got to.
Starting point is 02:59:10 Favor for a favor. They're talking about the Boston Celtics have allowed cameras to follow their team to release a doc similar to the last dance. Stupid ass fans talking about wouldn't similar to the last dance. Stupid ass fans
Starting point is 02:59:25 talking about, wouldn't it be the first dance? Them niggas ain't never did shit. Alright, no, I'm done. I'm done, I'm done, I'm done. I don't have anything else that I need to get off of my chest, off my heart, my spirit, and my soul.

Starting point is 02:59:53 It's okay. No, for real. It's okay. That was good. See? Hey. Carter. Carter HD.
Starting point is 03:00:02 What were you saying? Hey. Carter. This is what she did. Let me just double check My list and make sure Okay I'm done here But I do think that

Starting point is 03:00:54 Happy birthday, Feets. Let's see. Benzino, Vince Tables, Donald Trump. See, the thing is Capital One buys Discovery for $35 billion. Come on, Ish.
Starting point is 03:01:05 Tell us what it mean. I think that I've been on record basically saying the economy is going to shit quicker than most people think and quicker than they're telling us. I think in the next couple of years, give it 10, most people in the United States will be living on some sort of subsidy does government that's how bad I think it's going to be so I don't
Starting point is 03:01:32 see it as strange that people picking up all this debt people living off their credit cards literally if you took niggas credit cards away they couldn't survive so I think a lot of the credit card companies going to start picking up debt and consolidating we going to probably be working with three credit card companies soon. Three, maybe four banks.
Starting point is 03:01:48 That's my opinion. And there was a few sports apps merging. Oh, is there really? Really? Yeah. Yeah, there was a few sports apps merging. There's a lot of mergers and acquisitions happening. There's going to be a big bank takeover.
Starting point is 03:02:02 A lot of people teaming up to survive. All the streamers. ESPN, Fox, and Warner Brothers Discovery have plans to merge to create a single. Big freeze. Stand-along sports streaming service. I thought you were talking about different sports apps. No. I'll leave that.
Starting point is 03:02:15 They're going to do a sports streaming service. Yeah, yeah, yeah. The three of them. Yeah. All the streamers are merging. Yeah. All the streamers are merging. It's going to be right back to where we were.
Starting point is 03:02:23 Cable. Yeah. Just a different cable. They just cut out that company. Yeah. We're going to do it over here. All right. Let me see.
Starting point is 03:02:34 Let me see if we have a part of the show. Y'all can see if y'all have anything else to get off of your souls and spirits. I was about to say mad shit um drop some good music drop what dropped i know it was a kevin durant verse that dropped it was fire yeah it was solid yeah no that verse is pretty good sounded like kevin electronica on there yeah no he raps like that that maybe he did a record with surf a couple years back yeah he did he sent me a record one time oh couple years back yeah he did he sent me a record one time oh have you been rapping he's been rapping for a while yeah like and really
Starting point is 03:03:09 doing it too let me see where do i have that verse somewhere here we go relieve the stress when i roll up the spliff weep in the corners from whenever the wind spin the block hey yo look rest darling no i'm with her, what up Dolly? We hit another layer, when she speak to me it's like she saying prayers I feel like Randy Mars when he was on the Raiders Man they love the haters, this woman so fine I give her cash payments Baby I'm just so glued to the basics I wanted more rooms so I copped a crib sitting adjacent
Starting point is 03:03:40 In this whole world I'm Freddy Jason I'm sitting in the place that's a great but never complacent Yeah, baby, I'm a stoner Yeah, I took that long walk up the hill That made me a loner Nah, baby, I don't like being humble I ain't with my rules Gotta pay attention, there's a God sittin' amongst you
Starting point is 03:03:57 And you know it The booze was a little loud, but... Yeah, man loud. Man loud. Shout out to Kevin Durant. Shout out to Kevin. You might have lost it on that beat that's your little bad is you just told me that if Jay-z was in the room I'd be scared to rap you don't try to be my friend again yeah but don't be my friend now I got here um all right uh Daron Daron jr. all right. Uh, Deron, Deron Jr. All right.
Starting point is 03:04:26 What's up, DJ? Deron Jr. says, the nigga right above him is having a baby mama problem, but all right. Deron Jr. says, love and light to you all. And, uh, this is our part of the show segment. Shout out to the Patronies. Uh, if you are not a member of Patreon,
Starting point is 03:04:45 please sign up now and, uh, cause you guys are special and we love y'all. But you're $50 niggas. Super. Super love. Super love for y'all. Love and light to you all. I need to paint a picture and know what you would do in the situation I was recently in. All right, Deron, we'll help.
Starting point is 03:05:01 So I'm out at the bar. I meet a girl and we are feeling each other. That's the night. She asked me to pretend to be her boyfriend for the night so she can curve other guys. And I agreed, thinking this might go my way. That sounds like a layup. So a very large guy approaches while I'm a few feet away trying to talk. Back out. I see it few feet away trying to talk. Back out.
Starting point is 03:05:25 I see it, and I make my way over. Wait, let me make sure you said that. I see it and make my way over, and she points at me and says, I'm with him. He then points his finger in my face and says, I'll fuck your nigga up. What do you do next? He lied. He lied. Yeah, I don't believe it happened that way. But it's funny.
Starting point is 03:05:48 Well, he paid his money, so I mean, you got to answer. I'm trying to think of a response. Yeah, I'm going to start making out with the girl. I was about to say, I know you're making out, bag. Yeah, let's
Starting point is 03:06:06 let's show them that's why I don't play games yeah I'm not playing that game that's why I don't play games cause I would've thought you trying to make somebody else jealous
Starting point is 03:06:18 yeah I wouldn't even have thought to just curb guys there's a specific dude that you think might be here or your ex his peoples is in here and you want to make him jealous or them jealous.
Starting point is 03:06:28 I said what I said about the Vince Staples show and how these chicks will get you in trouble every time. I'm with y'all. I am not agreeing to do this at all.
Starting point is 03:06:38 The only, no, no, no, no, no, no. I'm capping. That's capping. That's capping. Let me walk it back. It depends on the situation you're in too, for sure. What's the bar? I wouldn capping. That's capping. That's definitely capping. It depends on the situation you're in, too, for sure.
Starting point is 03:06:45 What's the bar? I wouldn't have done it in his situation. However, there have been plenty of situations where you and your crew meet another crew and spend hours together in the spot. It's not a quick we feel in each other assessment. And in those hours that you spend together, people are visibly
Starting point is 03:07:07 trying to get with the girl and you are just in the area and now you do the odd thing she knows and it's like an unsaid thing that all right, I'll play you close for the night
Starting point is 03:07:18 so it can act as a deterrent. But now when homeboy, some big ass gargantuan comes up and says, yo, I'll fuck him up. What do you do?
Starting point is 03:07:29 Because now, it's a manhood thing at that point. He don't know if that's not your real girl. Not for me. See, anytime that happens,
Starting point is 03:07:34 and that probably has happened to me at some point, but we was having so much fun as a gang that we all laugh. And it depends on what kind of spot
Starting point is 03:07:42 you're in though. I do want to emphasize the importance of that what kind of is this a bar where people regularly get beaten stabbed in shots in Melody if we're at a place that's well
Starting point is 03:07:53 if we're at a place that's cool where it don't really go down like that I'd fuck one of you niggas over in Melody it has happened I'm just saying but if it's gang with us if we having a blast one of your niggas up with Melody? It has happened. I'm just saying, but if it's gang with us, if we having a blast,
Starting point is 03:08:09 like if we had Melody and his fucking five girls, we got some niggas here, there's nothing that homeboy could do to deter what we about to get going, buddy. Hey, you could take that creatine shit up the block. There's a gym right there.
Starting point is 03:08:21 Yeah. Hey, have at it. I mean, DC's told you about the way you work out niggas anyway you and your CTV go ahead with all that head on up the block buddy
Starting point is 03:08:30 but it's just you and one other oh then it's easier for me and her to get out of here here we go he gotta he gotta put a hand
Starting point is 03:08:39 on somebody for this to escalate for me for me I'm only talking about me I don't have that type of foolish pride that's going to make me ruin the night on my own accord. No.
Starting point is 03:08:52 You're mad quiet over there. Because he want to fight the nigga. He got a poker on him or something. He got a poker on him. He want to go to jail. I know you do. I know you. I see his kids. He got the poker on him. I keep a pokey mind. You got the poker on him. I keep a pokey mind.
Starting point is 03:09:06 You got that wallet size pic of your kids, right? You just pull it out, look at your kids. Come on, do the punk dad shit. No, I just think that I try not to put myself in those type of circumstances, situations, because you never know. And again, we always say that girls will get a nigga lined up. For sure. My brain would already be some niggas coming here. She know he coming here.
Starting point is 03:09:30 Him and his team and she trying to make that nigga feel stupid with the light skin cute nigga. No, no, no. You won't line me up, mama. I'm good. Depends on the bar. All depends on the bar. Let's get out of here. But look, I'll be your man for the night.
Starting point is 03:09:45 There you go. You don't think you'd still be cute with a buck 50? They might like you more. No. Chicks like war scars and shit. I got war scars. I'm saying, the buck 50 might be enough. I've been shot twice.
Starting point is 03:09:56 That get them wet enough. It's your man. No, he's not. I'm just saying. It used to work. It used to work. Wait, he's not. I'm just saying. It used to work. It used to work. Wait, you would pull out the scar? No, no, now I see how the Splash Brothers was getting them.
Starting point is 03:10:10 Stab, shot. There we go. Oh, shit. Oh, the Splash Brothers is victims. You like Benny and 38 Splash Brothers? We was selling trauma. We was selling trauma. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 03:10:22 That's what we did. And you just got free, right? Yep. Oh, shit This guy right here Yo Um Hey hey I hope we was able
Starting point is 03:10:30 To help you fella Yeah I don't know if we did But You pussy You pussy nigga Cause why you Why you stopping there What you did
Starting point is 03:10:37 Mmm Yeah he just stopped There right there He said Yo What would y'all do He said Bitch let's get out of would y'all do? He said, bitch,
Starting point is 03:10:45 let's get out of here. It's only been two times in my life. It's only been two times in my life where the big, big, big,
Starting point is 03:10:55 biggest diesel brolic nigga decided to turn around and say, I don't give a fuck about that.
Starting point is 03:11:03 Only twice. What happened? Which time? You see how you had to put the disclaimer on it? What? The big, big, yo, he was huge, yo. He was tall as hell, yo, before he slammed me on my head. I just want to just explain to y'all how tall this nigga really was.
Starting point is 03:11:23 I don't know that either one of these niggas could have slammed me on my head. That's a joke, bro. Relax. I don't know that. I'm gonna just break and display to y'all how tall this nigga really was. I don't know that either one of these niggas could have slammed me on my head. That's a joke, bro. Relax. I don't know that. I'm elusive. Gotta catch you. I wasn't a fucking 100-yard dash. I was 16, nigga.
Starting point is 03:11:36 And one of them times, it was a crowded club, so don't sleep on my ability to... Excuse me. The other time was in the car, so you got to drop. You win. You got me. You got me.
Starting point is 03:11:52 You was in a car? You fucking right. He was in a car? He was. He found his car. He was. Wait. In the same car?
Starting point is 03:12:00 No. I told the story here before. Yeah, yeah, nah. No, yeah, me. Fuck what y'all talking about. You in in your car and he's in another car? He was. Until he got out. Oh, he got out.

Starting point is 03:12:28 And then I was stuck. I couldn't drop. Man, nigga got out and I wasn't playing the mirrors. You had to top down? So by the time I, I don't know nigga,
Starting point is 03:12:36 I ain't wasn't no damn top down. By the time I looked to the side, nigga was at the window. Well, I had the window down. That's where I lost.
Starting point is 03:12:43 I had the window down and I wasn't playing the mirror. I looked inside. He was right there. He said Joe, but I don't I will slide you right now Don't have a nice day By the time I thought of something to say he was on his way back to his car to say he was on his way back to his car. Oh. OK.
Starting point is 03:13:06 My bad. My bad. No, you got a point. I gave him the little driver wave. No, no, no. You know the wild gentleman? The little beep? The quick beep?

Starting point is 03:26:28 You know, Russ was on Schultz talking some interesting shit about country. We can talk about it on Patreon. Okay. That's a good one. But that would be like emo rock to me. Like the same way Juice was on Russell P. That was a really good question. That was a really good question.
Starting point is 03:26:43 I agree with you, but if what they're trying to do with country, if I understand it right, then that's going to be emo country. Or it could be. I guess. I don't know. We'll see. Listen, anything with a guitar,
Starting point is 03:27:00 them niggas about to pass off as country. It could. If what they're saying, if what Russ is saying is true, but we'll get into it later. We'll talk about it later. I'm inspired by the Vince shit. I'm playing some Vince shit.

I'm not mad at that song. But here's the thing that I find most interesting is i think that he was designated as a hip-hop artist for years but his his sound hasn't really changed so i find it interesting
Starting point is 03:36:34 that they were allowed that he's been allowed to or like that something changed where he was able to designate this song as country whereas i don't think it would have been recognized as such that's a country that's a country song. Yeah, I know that, but like what I'm saying... It sounds like a country song. No, I know, but what I'm saying sonically, his past music has had the same kind of feel to it, but it was designated as hip-hop
