I'm not going to record. I'm not going to record. I'm not going to record. I'm not going to record. I'm not going to record. I'm not going to record. That's crazy. This is me. Yo. What? When you dating like, uh,
Starting point is 00:02:27 Getting into Mel's date life right after. Record time. New record ladies and gentlemen. I want to know something. What's your name? Like if you start dating like a corporate dude, like a strict corporate dude, do you modify?
Starting point is 00:02:38 No, not even a little bit. Code switch. Absolutely not. Mm-hmm. Excuse me? I'm going to say, I'll take you off camera. Who believes? Let's try to say it on camera. You can't now. Who believes Mel?
Starting point is 00:02:48 And that's the problem with getting into Mel's dating life. Because she likes that shit. So she's going to throw y'all something that's going to throw y'all tailspin and now you got to do it now. But here's the thing is I can be all those things. Melissa Savannah Ford. I say I'll tell you off camera. You've been saying it on camera. This is what I say. This is what I thing is I can be all those things. Melissa, Savannah, of course. I said, I said, you're on camera.
Starting point is 00:03:06 You've been saying, okay, this is what I say. This is what I say. This is what I say. I remember you were dating a Christian dude. You're not Christian, right? I did. Just answer his question, please. You was walking around with a Bible in your back.
Starting point is 00:03:18 That was the whole, that was- Can you just answer his question so we can speed through your dating life? He turned into super Christian during the course of the relationship. Fair enough. And suddenly I found myself where? In a cult. Well, I'm not talking about that. I'm talking about when I saw you in a red carpet, maybe 10 years ago?
Starting point is 00:03:36 Longer. 12. Ish. Ish. And I had known you for a while at that point and you were always like, I'm more spiritual than religious. I don't do the religious thing. I was not. They said, Melissa I was not talking over men yo you think that's why
Starting point is 00:03:51 I don't endorse those comments well I will have a person you you as I was as you like a little different it's how are you said first of wanna give honor to God. Oh my God. You said, how were you doing? You said, I am blessed and highly favored. I swear again on my children. She said blessed and highly favored. She put a little southern twang on it too. I was like, where in Canada do they talk like this? I gotta watch you too though. What, I'm just telling you.
Starting point is 00:04:18 You should. You was watching a little bit too much, nigga. You was watching, I'ma talk to you later about that. No, we were friends. We were friends. We were friends, I'm watching the red carpet. You that. No we were friends. We were friends. We were friends. We were friends. Watching the red carpet. You know what I'm talking about. Yeah but don't let that step on. We joking on Mel right now. No we not joking on Mel. We cracking on Mel right now.
Starting point is 00:04:34 We not. I got you Mel. She can get in whatever situation she in and cosplay for the current situation. I'm not saying she cosplay. I'm just saying you do adapt. Yeah she can adapt nigga. Salamander, why do women do that? You take Salamander? A Salamander. I mean, isn't adaptability a form of support? Amen. Amen and fucking hallelujah. Using that red carpet, using the trumpet away.
Starting point is 00:04:58 I know who you was, man. It was beautiful, though. I like to watch you shape shift. Amazing. Yo. Wow. Jesus on the main line. Tell her what you want. You don't know that song, do you?
Starting point is 00:05:13 I do not, no. She got blessed a highly favorite down there. Yeah, that was it. Super Christian behind me. That was it. That is so loud. It's okay, don't worry. So when did you drop out?
Starting point is 00:05:23 Huh? She left the rock turn, didn't she? I'm asking. Woo, I escaped the cult. Short form. Yeah, that's okay. So when did you drop out? I'm asking I Escaped the cult short form I escaped the cult that was big basically. So maybe I don't know two weeks after you saw me I got it. We could gonna have such a great time. I woke up and missed y'all today. I was so eager. I was so eager, we were debating about
Starting point is 00:05:51 whether that was a bad word, and I was so eager to get here to just see each one of y'all, man. Y'all are fucking awesome. That's beautiful. That is beautiful. Touching. Really, oh my God.
Starting point is 00:06:02 Lying. I'm not lying. Yo bro, it's okay. I promise you I'm not lying. Yo bro, it's okay. I promise you I'm not lying. We love you, okay, just go ahead. Like yo, you know what? Amongst men, you're not supposed to do that.
Starting point is 00:06:10 You're spending too much time on emotions. We got it. Let's move on. That's a problem with men. I agree. I agree. That's a problem with men. I agree.
Starting point is 00:06:20 You should be able to tell your brother, I love you, and I missed you, and I really like spending time with you The last one Like when we hang out the first two school the other part is implicit you don't know it's not like I really enjoyed this time together You can't do that no no get that shroom shit out of here right now. Or share. Yo! No, no, no, no. Two choices.
Starting point is 00:06:48 Oh, man. That is hilarious. Two kids and I also have 50% custody of the kids. And well, if you know anything about that, you know that's a lot of custody. I'm actually like sat down and worked it out that's half of my time and that's real that's real time you don't get back again I love my kids very much but it's time to go to your fucking mom's house. No. No.
Starting point is 00:07:45 No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No.
Starting point is 00:07:51 No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No.
Starting point is 00:07:58 No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. We don't. Okay.
Starting point is 00:08:05 We don't. No, it was real. That nigga don't listen and is handsy and abusive kinda. No, for real. All week and long. I be clowning y'all about the girl dad shit. Boy dad is he think it's playing around. Just punch you in the head.
Starting point is 00:08:24 Punch you in your dick. Bow! Heavy hit. Like a hook. You just, you lay in there, he do some type of double wrestling move, fist. I know. Bow!
Starting point is 00:08:32 The action, the action slam, yeah. Then you just walk into the kitchen, he just right hook, left hook in the back, bow! Wait, I'm like, yo, I'ma hurt you. You know how to beat that? Who you? You know how to beat that? You know how to beat that? Give him another one to play with.
Starting point is 00:08:48 Let him beat it. Let him beat a simple one. Another one. OK. This whole thing is crazy. It's crazy. You can't. Oh, OK.
Starting point is 00:08:54 No. True. I'm dead ass. That's not where my brain went. My brain went to dangle your little ass upside down, but you can't do that. So I try to be mature now. I'm talking to him, like communicate, like I learned in couples therapy hey man why
Starting point is 00:09:09 you doing that why do you keep hitting me shut up because I don't want to watch what's on TV all, all right, cool. So he beat my ass all weekend last night. Couldn't wait to drop that little demon off. Terror, a menace. And I said, you know what? Tomorrow, I'm gonna do what I hate to do. I'm gonna just call his mom.
Starting point is 00:09:38 See if we can get some consistency in both households. See how she's dealing with this. Oh, man. I gotta see how she's dealing with this. I man. I gotta see how she's dealing with this. I know that she just had a baby. I said, you got a sister over there. You can't just be running around hitting on anybody. I think me and Singa have a nice, mature, adult talk
Starting point is 00:09:57 about how both households could join together and fix the problem. Yo, did you ever see the meme? He might be 10 times worse at sentence. That's what I was thinking. Listen, it's a meme going around. It's funny on the internet. It'll be like, yo, the father.
Starting point is 00:10:12 It's funny on the internet. No. No. Yes, my man. Explain to me. Yo, dog, the father be like, yo, do X, Y, Z. And the little girl starts tearing up. And then the mother say, do X, Y, Z 10, 700,000 times. And the little boy starts tearing up. And then the mother say, do X, Y, Z, 10,700,000 da-da-da-da-da-da times,
Starting point is 00:10:26 and the little boy be like this. You know, they don't give a fuck, nigga. They scared of you. They not scared of the mom. In many instances. I'm worried about her household, the kids in school, my well-being. She call and say, wait, he's doing what over there?
Starting point is 00:10:47 He don't do that. That is non-existent. Oh Yeah, you know, I've never seen that actually he listens over he's very well behaved So what is happening over there? I'm like you got to be fucking can I could be we got it? Yeah So then she says yo I'm having a talking. I'm a straightening them out. We gonna call you back Don't you know they both called back on the speakerphone? He apologized No, he ratted. Oh shit She said Lex why are you hitting daddy?
Starting point is 00:11:23 He told If all the dad dad shit I'll be doing well daddy put that dangling drag me and then I mean you snitch first though he's telling my he but he's telling stuff I'm doing playing around. I'm ratting on what's happening when we not playing around. I'm playing around. He don't know the difference. He thinks it's play time all the time. My turn to play, nigga.
Starting point is 00:11:53 Bow. He thinks it's play time all the time. Bow. Yeah. Well, if I hit you here, I see how you react, cool. Bow. Exactly, he ain't got a job. You don't have to differentiate between work time,
Starting point is 00:12:03 play time. Everything's play time. You should give got a job, you don't have to differentiate between work time, play time. Everything's play time. You should give him a job. Like some time to earn your keep around here. I've never been so happy to drop a kid off at they fucking moms. He going to punch the code and do a doo doo doo doo. Turn around and say bye. Fuck it anyway.
Starting point is 00:12:21 You didn't wait for him to go in. No, I didn't do that. You got to wait. When it's your kid, you got to wait. Yeah, you do away from to go in You gotta wait what is your kid what is your kid you gotta wait you do you do go on mark is legal you're right It's legal We all wait I sped off once Cuz I ain't like how she did it The last week or two weeks before she slammed the door too fast. Starting point is 00:19:22 by Price Bix, Price Bix gang here. Here. Now. Recap. Recap. Big Mel. Okay, first, thank you Dr. Mark Lamont Hill for arranging some compound passes for me and.
Starting point is 00:19:37 For your closest friends. Actually, I rolled with a larger crew, so I had to get more. So shout out to Jazz from Live Nation because she filled in the blanks but I was the crew just grew so you needed more than the four tickets that he actually got me five how many did you need more than five tickets that mark gifted you yes I ended up needing ten and media passes but I'm working out just fine. It was great. Okay? Sounds like you. It was great.
Starting point is 00:20:06 It was so muddy out that they had a couple extra tickets. No, no, that is not what happened. So shout out to the organizers of the Roots Picnic. Saturday was a fucking shit show. The rain, it was cold, it was blowing in sideways. They didn't let anybody in for like the, they delayed letting people in for three hours. People were standing in line.
Starting point is 00:20:26 Anybody who fucking soldiered through that, like more power to you. That shit was crazy. But what? When did the other people get invited? Like, cause you didn't have no tickets. I'm not over that. You're not just gonna squeak.
Starting point is 00:20:43 You started with zero tickets. How did the party amass to 10, even once you got five? Okay, so here is the situation. I was not the only one who had a beat on stuff. So we were kind of like working in tandem. So my other girl had like Connect, and then my other girl had Connect. So we were just kind of compiling resources.
Starting point is 00:21:06 And buying tickets was just out of the question. Absolutely. The fuck? Thanks. Carry on. Did that answer your question? Please, yes. All right, great.
Starting point is 00:21:13 Okay, so Saturday, everything got delayed by three hours. There was swamps everywhere. It was fucking freezing. It was raining and shit like that. We finally get in. They got to work on that, the whole organization, just the line separation. It was the rain. You got to fix his rain.
Starting point is 00:21:29 No, no, but here's the thing is they knew everybody knew it was going to be rainy on that day. The forecast had been out for like over a week. Okay, everyone. Let me shout out to live nation. Also to the roots crew and everybody will be so generous with us and giving us these tickets and putting on an amazing performance. I'm getting there. I'm getting there. Allow her. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:21:49 That's what she lets them have it. Well, that's not how it goes when you're gifted. Tickets from no you. This is between her and Mark. I'm so embarrassed. I haven't gotten a chance to say anything yet. I haven't gotten a chance to say anything. Go ahead and finish please.
Starting point is 00:21:57 So we get in and go straight to the Jeezy concert. I haven't gotten a chance to say anything yet. I haven't gotten a chance to say anything. I haven't gotten a chance to say anything. So we get in and go straight to the Jeezy concert. I was looking for you and missing peace, but after trying to get through the line, I was like, oh, there's no way Ice would have done this. There's just no way. Like one of my girls, her boyfriend was with us, we used him as a battering ram
Starting point is 00:22:19 and just followed right behind him and he got us right past everybody. So anyways, we go see Jeezy. So men do have uses sometimes. Yeah. You said it, I didn't. Anywho, went saw Jeezy, shit was lit, went to the main stage, Glorilla was performing,
Starting point is 00:22:33 that shit was lit, went to Compound, went to Gold, had a really great time, but the weather just was a lot. Sunday was much better. So we went, had a good time on Sunday. The highlight for me was Lenny fucking Kravitz. That shit was amazing. He's such a rock star.
Starting point is 00:22:50 And I was like flying by that point. Shrooms, weed. I hope you fly. You will never. I'm about to say, this is the last time I'm gonna get a picture. This is the last flight. I hope you really enjoy that Lenny show. Miss Missy, you will never get a ticket to a BU.
Starting point is 00:23:09 Oh my god. My favorite shit about Mel is she has no clue, kid. She don't realize it. She has no idea. She's just on a cloud somewhere. That's my girl. Anyway, you were saying, so Lenny was to die for. Lenny was lit.
Starting point is 00:23:23 Lenny was so fantastic, and it was just. And that's good for you, though. Oh, yeah. What? That's good for you niggas. He stayed up all night worrying about this shit. You got depressed over this shit. And she comes and hits shits on him immediately.
Starting point is 00:23:38 I'm not shitting on it at all. That's so good for niggas like him. How do you guys hear me shitting on this? How do you hear me shitting on this? I was just- No, it's your world. No, and also- Fix the rain, Questlove.
Starting point is 00:23:51 No, also, like, no. The organizers, they apologized to everybody about Saturday. I'm saying I had a good time regardless of the weather. You had to dress for it, and I had these boots up to here, they perfect for what I was walking through. Nice. Yeah, it was great regardless of the weather. had to dress for it and I had these boots up to here, they perfect for what I was walking through. Yeah, it was it was great regardless of the weather.
Starting point is 00:24:07 I kind of actually liked it because of the weather because it gave a real Woodstock vibe. That's the quickest remix I ever heard. We should have let it wait for a week or something. Hit them over with a little preview of the remix. It was giving Woodstock 2025. So I really liked it. Nice. I really liked it.
Starting point is 00:24:27 That's a good bookend. Yeah, that's great. I'm glad you enjoyed it. I'm glad you enjoyed it. I'm mad that I missed it. Yeah. But also, that nigga tight. He tight.
Starting point is 00:24:34 He won't answer that call no more. I never gave one of them tickets. I loved it. They told me not to give one of them tickets. I was told not to give them tickets. They were put to good use, so thank you, Mark. I'm glad you enjoyed yourself. Thank you so much, Mark.
Starting point is 00:24:48 Ultimately. I appreciate it. And you got the other five, too, right? That's good, man. Yeah. It went really well. Yeah. And I had a little bit of a misconnection, too.
Starting point is 00:24:59 That's what we keep saying. That's what we see. We keep trying to highlight that. You wear it. That's what we see. We keep trying to highlight that. You wear it, but anyway, go ahead. Yeah. There was this guy, and he was just sitting there. He was so cool.
Starting point is 00:25:11 He was dressed in all black. He was smoking a cigar. And he knew every single Lenny Kravitz song word for word. I was like, wow. He looks so cool. I want to talk to him. I feel like I remember a similar story from last year's respect.
Starting point is 00:25:27 Yeah, but this time it wasn't my ex. I actually did not know this man. Okay, so you didn't go and say hi? No, because he was vibing so hard to Lenny Kravitz, I just didn't want to be the person that interrupts your fucking vibe. Weren't you vibing so hard? She was vibing.
Starting point is 00:25:41 I was vibing too, but I got eyeballs. No. That's how the festival love circuit goes. Nice to know you're tongue but I got eyeballs. No. That's how the festival love circuit goes. I wanted, I just. You know, you tongue kissing at the festival. Yeah. Getting down on a hay bale. I just wanted him to have his vibe.
Starting point is 00:25:51 He was having my vibe. And then I was going to talk to him afterward, but he booked it out. I was like, oh, okay, Miss Connection, whatever. That was it. That was my time. Maybe he watches the show and he'll see this. That's exactly what we just saw. It was a Craigslist disconnections ad
Starting point is 00:26:06 on the biggest broadcast in the world. I ain't saying shit, stupid ass fan, but Joe stop painting her in that light. Nope. She's an artiste herself. I'm letting you guys know Cliff Notes of my weekend and it was fun and I had a great time. Well that's good, I'm glad you had fun.
Starting point is 00:26:23 It's amazing and we're happy that you had fun. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Make some noise for that. Make some noise for Mel having fun, man. Shout out to Questlove, all the good people at the Roots.
Starting point is 00:26:31 Shout out to my teeth. Yeah, whatever shrooms you took, that shit, it's still in your system. It's still in your system, girl. Might be, might be. Yeah. How was everybody else's weekend? I already told you all about mine.
Starting point is 00:26:44 I went to a Mets game Friday, Saturday, and do shit, Sunday, how was everybody else's weekend? I already told you all about mine I went to a mess game Friday, Saturday, and do shit Sunday family shit. So not very excited. I was in the house sick all weekend Yeah, I was just filming this weekend. It's fucked up. You look like you just left a fab video. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah Yeah, I was filming put this on yesterday. You got the jorts and I wanted to put it on Yeah, I wanted to put it on today. You know what I mean? JR and I came up with something, so. It was pretty good. Had fun.
Starting point is 00:27:10 Yeah. Quirky nigga's gonna be on your ass when you get out there. Ah, stop it, please. Please. But the weekend was great, just spending time filming and getting content done and then, you know, looking forward for the week now. Okay.
Starting point is 00:27:23 Okay. Good stuff. That's dope, man. Is it? What'd I do? I went to, uh forward for the week now. Okay. Okay. That's dope man. That's dope man. What'd I do? I went to uh. Say something. Say it. I had a, oh go ahead man.
Starting point is 00:27:30 No I'm waiting, I just wanted, I'm waiting to start this show. I'm starting with everybody, I mean, what'd you do? I'm about to move on. No, no, no, I wanna hear. I'm the fuck with them. Oh, Friday night I went to, I ended up going to this black silk and linen party
Starting point is 00:27:43 my wife took me to. Oh nice. It was freaky. Yeah, all right. Crushed our little weekend. Yeah, it was. It was, I actually had a great time. It was out in Jersey, I don't know Jersey people like that.
Starting point is 00:27:52 I bet you did. It wasn't that interesting, but it was, I mean it wasn't freaky interesting, but it was interesting, it was fun. And of course everybody knows Ish when I'm there, which was great. I'm texting Ish. Yo, you know that the silk party.
Starting point is 00:28:02 Everyone knows Ish at the orange. They knew Ish at the silky almond party Yo at the black silky almond I stopped texting him after a while cuz I was like I won't blow up his phone at midnight But people was hitting me up like yo, I know it is so ish tell ish. I said hey Oh Ish knew my first wife He said ish knew my first wife then What did you say? Ish, he said, Ish knew my first wife and then walked away. I said, I didn't know what that meant.
Starting point is 00:28:28 I can tell you. I can tell you what it meant. I can tell you what it meant. In the old school British, he knew her. Oh yeah, the way he looked at her, I didn't ask no follow-ups. I texted Ish, he was like, where are you at? And you didn't answer no more. Look at that dude, that dude is like fierce bros.
Starting point is 00:28:44 Not at all. He was like, yo, this is the most popular nigga in all of New Jersey. I can't go nowhere without people asking me about it. Ish, can you not play coy with us for a second? Why do they know you at the all-black Almond-y nigga gala? Silky. Don't forget Silky. Silky and Almond-y gala. Y'all lived in New Jersey for 50 years.
Starting point is 00:29:05 You talk too much. I was outside for 50 years. They know you everywhere-ish. And I've been around the hood niggas and the bougies. Why? He's a hood anomaly, that's why. Yeah. What you mean?
Starting point is 00:29:17 What have you been doing? For real. He's living, nigga. I don't know what you're talking about. He mixy. Just been out there. You are mixy though. What's mixy about it?
Starting point is 00:29:24 Nah, nah, it's top of y'all. Growing up. He gotta have been keeping it to though. What's mixy about? No, no He got it had been keeping it to himself Growing up was good. Oh y'all you think he traveled all these circles spreading around? He was like The human Colby did you ever I personally think you I don't even know who the person is. Something wrong with your brain? Something wrong with your mind? I'm crying. How do you know someone's first wife though? I don't even know who the person is. Yeah, I ain't ask no more questions.
Starting point is 00:30:12 I ain't wearing no smoke. But yeah, you're just a popular dude. But it was dope. Dope event, great people. Good for the community, all that stuff. I didn't even make it to the Roots picnic. I had some family stuff I had to do. I had to fly to Chicago on Sunday for an event. So I missed all the dope stuff. So that was it for me.
Starting point is 00:30:29 Oh, there's always next year. That's true. Yeah, I'll have plenty of tickets next year. To the neck. Because they all stand right in my pocket, right? To the neck. Won't distribute these. That's crazy, yo.
Starting point is 00:30:42 Well, what needs our attention most? There's plenty to discuss. My cash app. My cash app needs it. Oh, for sure. That's crazy. Well, what needs our attention most? There's plenty to discuss. My cash app. Oh, for sure. That's a fact. Let's get that money over. Wait, what was y'all's bet again? That the Knicks would lose. Sitting that thing right over. What's your name, wayan?
Starting point is 00:31:00 Doctor Mark Lamothe. Whoever sent you $5,000. No, I see it. Slowly Lamothe. Whoever sent you $5,000. No, I see it. Slowly recoup. Break my break, I'll be getting my shit back. Let's see if he hit his limit yet. You know that's his bag. That's his bag.
Starting point is 00:31:20 That's his cra- Me too immediately, I sent it. You know what I learned by myself? I don't like y'all more when y'all are right at my doorstep at 1201 for the money you're owed. I don't. I'm sorry. That's part of the... hit me about the Celtics series. Of course I dubbed it. I dubbed it. I'm cool dawg I just want to enjoy the game as a fan
Starting point is 00:31:55 but then by the time we beat them I was feeling myself when he hit me again about the Pacers. I said put it all on the line. I hate when you ask somebody to yo what we doing they say oh no no you big money and then I know just let's do a nice little gentleman gentleman bet anyway man soon as that hit me here my apple paste still yo dog it's Monday like oh thirsty but you want your shit part of it that's like that, but that's the shit talking to I just don't like it That's part of it. That's part of the shit. So yeah, like making a nigga pay cuz Matter of fact, I'm gonna donate this thousand dollars to uh to kids in Newark. They need a Prime gear. Well, yeah, cuz they wouldn't buy who wouldn't buy it's donated a lot
Starting point is 00:32:44 I ain't gonna tell you how much you watch your fucking mouth for no No, did I take it back today? I don't know what I don't know what nobody freeze. I told y'all. I just forgot the shit I'm sorry is freeze. Yes, we already had this talk highlighting again I'm trying to get the heat off of them. That's what you can do. Oh, no, I'm gonna take I'm taking heat this episode I'm gonna take this heat and I'm taking this heat and I'm ready for it. And I'm ready for it. Well can I ask you a question though?
Starting point is 00:33:07 Please. Why you pay they bet so fast? As opposed to. You know why. As opposed to some other bets. What bet you talking about? You had a bet with him, you had a bet with me. What bet I got with you? It was some, oh not a better, it was the game shit,
Starting point is 00:33:25 whatever you did. But it took a long time. It took a long time to get paid. I don't understand what you're saying. What money did I have for you? You paid them immediately. When did I have money for you is my correct question. We did some shit up here.
Starting point is 00:33:38 We did some shit. Oh you called an ex I think or something like that. Oh yeah, that's what it was. Thank you. Oh, I remember that. And we was. Thank you. Oh I remember that and we had the host from 2020 Right now you got a gripe from To me It's not a great thing. I'm trying to find out what your reason is. Why are you niggas memories even that good? Why you remember that year? It was last year. That year was foggy to me.
Starting point is 00:34:06 You crazy. Yeah, last year shouldn't be so prominent on your brain. When I watch you turn right around and pay a bet immediately it makes me say, oh shit. That's disgusting. He can do that fast. You know why? I can do everything fast, but not when that's so nasty what you just did. It's awesome.
Starting point is 00:34:24 It's nasty what I did? Ew. It's nasty what I did? Ew. It's nasty what I did. You said why? Ew. What's your reason? Go ahead, go ahead, flip. What's the reason?
Starting point is 00:34:31 I don't wanna get at him. And y'all in other niggas business too. I don't wanna get at him, cause I can, but it's just gonna, let's keep the show going. Yo, just pay your bets, congratulations. Yo, I'll make sure to get that done today. I didn't even, I forgot about that. Take care of my man, Freeze.
Starting point is 00:34:44 I forgot about that $ Take care of my man, Freeze. I forgot about that $70 What what is it? I forgot about that $65 See that's your man 20 years He's been coming to work for a year straight with that $75 on his mind I'm gonna fuck him up No you won't $75
Starting point is 00:35:01 It wasn't $75 You're a shape shifter, yo. For real. You like Neo in the Matrix, but the guy ain't gonna hold you. I'ma get that too. Yo, you already did it. No, it's coming.
Starting point is 00:35:12 No, it's coming your way. You gonna pay him again? You gonna pay him again? Yeah. You paid him already. You paid it. But you just took a longer time to pay him. That's all I asked you,
Starting point is 00:35:20 why you take so long to pay certain niggas and the other niggas. You paid him. That was my question Give mine. Oh you was happy. Yo, I'm gonna sit that right now Nigga. Marcus the new master. No, nigga, said you. Yes, I was. I get that nigga right, I'm getting started, nigga.
Starting point is 00:35:50 Yo, oh man. Nigga, he said that. You got that shirt? Oh, that's a nice shirt, man. Three, three times, three times. I got it, nigga. Oh man, Jovey, I love him. Yo.
Starting point is 00:36:03 That's my man. Anybody out there, this included, Oh man. Jovian Glover. Yeah. Yo. That's my man. They wild. Anybody out there, it's included. If I have an outstanding balance, please, please let me know. Okay, hold on, you said it's included. Should that mean, okay, good. I'm proud of you. I'm proud of you.
Starting point is 00:36:16 Oh man, that's funny. It's gonna be one of them days. I'm proud of you, I like that. I'm here for it. Mm-hmm. Because you be all your bullshit, but you know what? I think it's a shoot. I'm in too good of a mood. So it don't even matter. Nothing that happens today, I'm in for it. I'm here for it. Cause you be on your bullshit, but you know what? I think it's a shoot. I'm in too good of a mood.
Starting point is 00:36:25 So it don't even matter. Nothing that happens today is, I'm in a great mood. I think it's the attire. I think, you know, the energy. I like that shot. I'll put my name in the mix. He's trying to stand on some bullshit, but I'm happy you acknowledge it.
Starting point is 00:36:38 I want to do right by this too. He ain't paying me already. Oh, shit. Wait, wait, whoa. Man. Wait. That's why you reacted so cool. Ann paid me already. Oh, shit. Wait, wait, whoa. Man. Wait. That's why you're acting so cool?
Starting point is 00:36:50 You got paid. I was cool when I just was it. Ah! Ann paid me. Let's go, Is. White man paid you, boy. I was shook as hell. I was shook as hell.
Starting point is 00:37:02 Okay, Joe, you get it. Okay. I like that though. So you mean all of that was just... We look crazy a little bit. What topic do y'all want to talk about? Is there a topic that needs our attention? How about that?
Starting point is 00:37:18 A lot of topics need our attention. Real quick, before we get into the substance this is pride month not today it's not substantive but I mean it's pride month and pride so we should say happy pride LGBTQ community and I have a challenge to all of us how many months I think is good just just June no oh what else is it I may be wrong uh it's men's health month yes it's That is true. Yes. But in terms of, yeah, sure. Absolutely. Yeah, sure.
Starting point is 00:37:47 I'm not dismissing that. I was saying, for this episode, because we say pause a lot. For this entire episode, how about we see if we can go the whole episode without saying pause? Unpause. And the first person that doesn't makes a donation to LGBT organization. I think that's great.
Starting point is 00:38:09 500 dollars. I don't agree. No. Should we? No, no. Just a suggestion. I'm down for the challenge. I think it's an interesting challenge.
Starting point is 00:38:17 Can we still snicker? I'm insulted by the challenge. Do you think that we can't not say pause? No, I don't. Seriously? As an entire crew? Yeah, they just directed the flip. No, I don't think it's a flip.
Starting point is 00:38:30 I'm saying as a crew. Who else do you think can't say pause? I don't say pause a lot. Can't not say pause? Tell the truth. All of us, myself included. That means everything like, hey, yo, all in my house. You going to take the challenge?
Starting point is 00:38:41 Yeah, yeah, I don't view this as a challenge. I have no problem not saying pause. Can we still laugh if we say pause? And I'm gonna say a bunch of K-Shit. Yeah, my lucky challenge. I'm waiting for this one. Yeah, I think it's a nice, you know. Yeah, no, I'm cool.
Starting point is 00:39:00 All right, done. But anyway, happy Pride Month. Happy Pride Month. And happy Men's Health Awareness Month. Oh, it's Men's Health Awareness Month? It's Men's Health, done. But anyway, happy Pride Month. Happy Pride Month. And happy men's. Men's Health Awareness Month. Oh, it's Men's Health Awareness Month? Yeah. Men's Health, yes.
Starting point is 00:39:09 Oh, Happy Men's Health Awareness Month for sure. Yeah, we should definitely talk about that this month, too. Dope. Mm-hmm. I like to do it. Joe, we talked about the bet, but what we didn't talk about was how you actually feel about the Knicks breaking your heart like that.
Starting point is 00:39:23 They didn't break my heart. They didn't break my heart. They didn't break my heart. Let's not get. That last game was a little heartbreaking. I wanna let you have your. Nah, I mean you were pretty intense about this. I wanna let you have your fun. Knicks in six, Knicks in seven, we'd be the first team to come back.
Starting point is 00:39:37 Well I'm gonna die right in the neck for you. Yeah. When it's over is when it's over. Okay, so no bitterness. No, no, no, no, no, listen. Well, I think that was a winnable game. Let me start there. I do think that that was a winnable game.
Starting point is 00:39:53 And there's a lot of people that didn't show up on the road. A lot of damn transition points. I'm not. Damn. And that's the story of it. When you give up that many points in transition and that many points off turnovers, there's nothing you could do.
Starting point is 00:40:08 So my takeaways, if I'm being serious for a second, I think Jalen Brunson needs to find ways to impact the game outside of scoring. And I think that'll happen. I think there's a lot to be said about Kat. I think us and the Timberwolves kind of traded headaches a little bit. You think.
Starting point is 00:40:24 And we watched that come to form with some of Julius. I think y'all got the best end of the stick though. Same. There's a lot to be said about Kat that I won't say. Mikkel Bridges fadeaways in exchange for layups. I think that needs to be talked about at some point. The way Josh Hart disappeared I think needs to be talked about at some point the way Josh Hart disappeared I think needs to be talked about at some point I'm not so mad at Tom Thibodeau Leon Rose or any of that even on I could see how he
Starting point is 00:40:53 Has questions coming his way they could utilize the bench a lot better than you would fire you in fire to do no Well, how about I think that's foolish? I wouldn't fire Thibodeau if Phil Jackson was available Well, we shouldau if Phil Jackson was available. Well we should have never hired Phil Jackson the first time. We shouldn't have. Not that Phil Jackson. Sorry, sorry. Oh, the good Phil Jackson.
Starting point is 00:41:11 Like yo dawg, I don't think Thibodeau did a bad job at all. I mean, neither. I think it's easy in hindsight to look and see where somebody could have done better. For the people that say that Thibodeau had an 82 game season to get some type of chemistry with some of those ancillary parts on the bench, you wouldn't be wrong. When the Knicks were holding auditions for either Shamet or what was gonna be Marcus Morris,
Starting point is 00:41:37 Marcus Mark, the good one. The Morris Brothers. The good one though is Marcus. Marcus Morris Jr. like I thought that those would be important pieces for a playoff run. Like them doing that I felt like they identified that too and just didn't for some reason. I'm not with all of the reports coming out after the fact of Nick's locker room problems. I'm not with that. I don't want to harp on the negative because this is as a lifetime Nick fan
Starting point is 00:42:06 this is the first time in my life where I have attended a first round series a Second round series and an Eastern Conference final series in person like that don't fall short of me This is back-to-back 50 win seasons They just did a lot good. So I don't want to be the guy. I think they were ahead of schedule. I don't think they planned on this year going like this. I think they'll tinker around in the off season and we'll see what happens next year. But my hat off to them. Congratulations. I think all Knicks fans are truly happy. I was a little tired of seeing Tommy Shamilat, Timmy Sham, whatever homeboys name is. I love the name. I was sick of it too.
Starting point is 00:42:45 I was sick of it too. Now, he had the fucking Pacer games with the Jenner girl. He had the Nick game. Yo, get this move. I don't care about these orange and blue Chrome hearts. Move. Yo dog. It is.
Starting point is 00:43:00 I got hate in me sometimes. I don't want to see all of that shit. Hate's fun. What else? What else about the Knicks that I didn't want to see for a little bit? Some of the... I think the Knicks did have a great season. They did.
Starting point is 00:43:11 They did, for sure. I think they overachieved. That's how you're hard. I think most... You did your best. Yeah, I think most fans would be pleased with the season. I don't think anybody had y'all getting out of Boston. Yo, and listen, let me just say, the better team won.
Starting point is 00:43:26 I agree. I think that the Knicks, I think that the Knicks. Yeah. I don't know. I don't know that. Well, go ahead. Listen, buddy. They played.
Starting point is 00:43:34 I think that the Knicks are a more talented team. I think top to bottom, coach on down. I think they proved to, the Pacers proved to be a better team. Listen, niggas sleep cause we don't know all I'm fucking Namesmith is a sixth pick in the draft. Yep, the nigga that comes in after him. Makaron was a Seventh pick Matthew Matt was a seven Happy for miles turn I'm happy for Siaco. I'm listening to fucking uh
Starting point is 00:44:07 Tyler Halliburton talk. I like how he's tall. I like how he speaks. Yeah, so it's some of them black brothers over there I remember when Indiana wasn't looking like that. So I'm happy for them, too I'm happy for the Knicks all of that is awesome. Uh Hope we have entertaining finals. I'm happy for Halliburton. I'm happy Hope we have entertaining finals. I'm happy for Halliburton. I'm happy for them. After that shit came out that they ranked him like the most overrated.
Starting point is 00:44:30 I liked him getting his look back on these names. Yeah, no, although he did look real salty when he thought he was going to be the MVP. Oh my God. Is that not a great moment? He starts stepping up like he ain't smiling. Don't spend the money before you get it. Yeah, facts.
Starting point is 00:44:41 Even though he had a case. He did. He had a case. He had a great case. but I might have picked him If he if he was that then the Knicks win if Siakam don't go off like that Yeah in all of those games the Knicks win. Yeah How much of this current iteration of the Knicks is making it into like next season? I know there's free agency and you know offseason off season acquisitions and trades and shit like that.
Starting point is 00:45:06 We don't know. Nobody knows. Yeah, you won't know. Bridges, Bridges. Y'all got somebody that's. Bridges is up for an extension. Okay. Eligible for a four year, 150 mils, somewhere around that.
Starting point is 00:45:16 But with Greek Freak and Kevin Durant lingering, I don't think anybody is safe. So let's just see. the Knicks are said to want to be aggressive in free agency and beat is available I'm just letting you know I can speak on behalf of my city if you want to broker yeah yeah who would y'all give him back we'll take this buddy to the chameleon Spike Lee. Something like that. Just give us some seats. Doritos are the Twix. Right, right, exactly. Fuck. Nah, I think the Knicks did a great job.
Starting point is 00:45:49 I don't think they got anything to hold their heads over. Agreed. And I think they played the hell. Yo, one thing which you can't take from them, they play hard, dog. Every single game they play hard. I think the inconsistencies come. And Indiana was inconsistent.
Starting point is 00:46:03 See, Ockham was having 40, then he'll have nine. Yeah, because that just speaks to the depth of your team, that other niggas could step up on different days. If Matthewan get hot, or if Naismith get hot, or whoever get hot, they just gonna carry the load on that night, I think that's dope. We do have a live reporter that went down at 34th Street to hear from Nick fans after the loss.
Starting point is 00:46:26 I may have won but y'all still from Indiana, like that's kind of weird. We're from New York so we really take the W. That part, I want to come back to that. Trying to lose in Indiana bro. We can lose to Philly, we can lose to Chicago. Fuck it. Lose to LA in the final. The Indiana has our number for years.
Starting point is 00:46:42 That shit is not good. I don't know why anybody is smiling during those days. Tyree Tyler Bird, I hate your dad. Number Tyrese Halliburton, I hate your dad. Yo, I'm saying My fucking dick are losing because of Halliburton selling his soul 90s disco are you fucking kidding me? We're down 20. It was a lot of bullshit questionable cause bro Yeah, every nice if it is devil magic as through this is some BS How the fuck you call four fouls in nine seconds that was grass? I don't know what they were doing tonight The rest were cheating listen enough for the first second listen on one hand Congratulations to Indiana we got a show to do so I don't want to harp on this
Starting point is 00:47:24 I do want to hit the round of applause and say congratulations to Indiana. We got a show to do, so I don't want to harp on this. I do want to hit the round of applause and say congratulations to Indiana. In order to learn how to win, you got to learn how to lose. And they've been here before. This is the Knicks first conference final. The Pacers have been here for a few years. It's their turn now. You want to tip your hat to those guys.
Starting point is 00:47:44 On the flip side of that, to Mike X, Zaire, Teague, any of the rest of you niggas. The Jacksons? Yeah. Yeah. It's still, y'all, it's still Indiana. Are you stupid, yo? Oh my God.
Starting point is 00:48:03 If I, if we had to trade and y'all got all the basketball accolades and we got none, but we get to be in New York and you get to be in Indiana, like, it's still tumbleweeds and soybeans out there. No. It's still cornstarch. What else is happening out there? Milk, probably. Y'all are the least known sport out there. It's the Colts, WNBA, the Indy 500, high school basketball, college basketball, and
Starting point is 00:48:37 then you niggas. So let's just taper it down, relax. Y'all are still y'all. But y'all still y'all. Ric Carlyle talking about something. What the fuck did he say? And then we can move on. He said, in 49 states, it's just basketball. In one state, it's just basketball.
Starting point is 00:49:02 Like a shut up. Shut up. Ric Carlyle. I love that. I like that. He right though Congratulations in here y'all still it's still in the end though niggas ain't even got a shake shack out there They got no bodegas They've got them bland bits anyway Anyway moving on got a male You know, the the internet is has been crazy last couple days about this Vanessa Bryant story I know y'all have heard it at this point
Starting point is 00:49:34 There was a rumor going on for the last like three or four days that Vanessa Bryant The widow of Kobe Bryant was pregnant. Then there's another rumor that she was not only pregnant, but potentially pregnant by a young baller, basketball player. That was the quote that was in the, on the end of the, the young baller. I'm assuming they meant basketball player. And fortunately, earlier in the week, Vanessa came out to clear up the rumor. She said, I'm enjoying my summer, not pregnant, you know, basically like I'm ignoring the rest of the rumors. So we know that part's not true. What's interesting to
Starting point is 00:50:07 me, though, is people's reaction to it. Like, people were been out of shape, especially dudes were like really, really been out of shape at the idea that Vanessa Bryant could be pretty I even saw I flip I seen your your tweet. You were like, it better been if she's pregnant better be from like some like, I mean it's Kobe man. A frozen egg. I mean, it's an unspoken rule, you know amongst, in the community. What's the rule? What community?
Starting point is 00:50:32 Listen, the community that I'm from. Okay. And that can, and, and, and. It is community. Yes, and the rule is, I mean of course, in life she can, she's supposed to move on, she can live her life and stuff like that. I mean, it's been five years and all that.
Starting point is 00:50:47 And that's her choice if that was true. But nigga, when it comes to morals and principles and our minds, nigga, and whatever mental world that I'm in, nigga, I'm not, that's Kobe, nigga. But what's the moral in the principle? I don't wanna see you move on. I don't wanna see her move on. I don't wanna see Laura London move on.
Starting point is 00:51:03 I don't wanna see y'all move on. Do that shit privately. So they're supposed to walk around in public with black veils and black dresses and just be in a constant state of mourning for the rest of their lives. Well, that's extreme, but I would want your business to be private
Starting point is 00:51:17 because we still hold these guys in high regards in my mind. Even though they can do it, it's just like, oh, damn, girl, you did that, and it's been five years, if that was the case, but it's not. You know that's not crazy, right? That's insane. Dude, I'm crazy, hey, what the fuck can I say?
Starting point is 00:51:32 I'm crazy. And this ain't some, what's interesting to me is that it's not just some flip shit, right? It's not just you. I know. It's everybody, like, a big chunk of the internet was saying the same shit. They were like calling her all kinds of holes and Jesus Christ
Starting point is 00:51:46 I don't agree with that. I think that you know, that's not what no I know you're not saying that but I'm just saying I did and she did something wrong and she's violating some cool I wanted to kind of know first when Kobe died again 2020 like January 26 There's a lot of people that have problems with widows moving on for some reason Yeah, I see with that. Yeah, that's a hot topic. I've seen that in non-celebrity circles. Yeah, I understand.
Starting point is 00:52:07 My sister lost her husband and people in the community were weird when she got- His boys, like how dare she? Right. Listen, this is A Million Little Things and Landman. Yeah, yeah, well I haven't seen Landman, but it's A Million Little Things for sure. You haven't seen Landman.
Starting point is 00:52:22 Landman was so good. It's next on my list. But yes, it is. What'd you say? I don't remember that happening in Landman was so good. It's next to my lips. But yes, it is. What did you say? I don't remember that happening in Landman. In Landman, when dude that worked the shit died and his wife. Oh my nigga, that's different. How? Shit was a week later, two weeks later. It didn't take that long and a million little things either.
Starting point is 00:52:40 I think in most cases I'm familiar with, it happens because somebody is there to console you over your loss. So it happens a little fast. How? It's the best friend. Yo, I'm a pro. Is that a no for you?
Starting point is 00:53:01 The best, yes. It's not a no for me. It's I don't know if that's a no for me. It's not a no for me. It's I don't know if that's a no for me. It's not a no for me. A lot of times that is exactly what happens because the best friend was the closest, you know, like. Or if it's your best friend, typically, he got some of your same characteristics
Starting point is 00:53:17 or he shared some shit. I'm laughing but I'm with him. He does, he's right. That's true. I know, we know, we know. It do sound funny, because in the niggas mind, the best friend was thinking about this while you're still here.
Starting point is 00:53:30 Exactly. It's possible that you're dead. You dead. You ain't got no mind. You dead as hell. I'm just talking about nigger brain. The nigger is dead. Nigger brain.
Starting point is 00:53:38 In general. True, true, true. You say that to the outsiders onlookers. You're right, Freak. Yes. Onlookers. I want my niggas to set it off on you, nigga. Asia's right, though. I see a nigga saying Stevie J was wild for marrying Faith.
Starting point is 00:53:49 Why? Because he worked with Big before? Because of the whole Big relationship. But usually in friend circles. And that's crazy to me. You have like the same kind of political beliefs, maybe, or just general view of the world, at least to some level. Niggas uphold a lot of stupid beliefs.
Starting point is 00:54:03 Yeah, in fact. Some of this shit is just stupid. Man, move on, don't move on with my best friend. I don't give a fuck what y'all talking about. Go call somebody else. If your best friend is the person that, and I'm not advocating for this, I'm just talking. If your best friend is the person that
Starting point is 00:54:17 makes the wife feel better and is the best option for your family moving forward, then why would you be so against it? I'm horny. And all you niggas. Let's go, Freeze. I'm there, every dream. Every dream.
Starting point is 00:54:30 And hold on, listen, I have a friend. I have a friend who. Wait, and it's happening in your friends and neighbors. And it's happening in your friends and neighbors. What's that? What are you saying? On, on, on, it's a show on Apple where. Is that good?
Starting point is 00:54:44 Yes. I'm gonna watch it. Where the main On, on, on, it's a show on Apple where, Is that good? Yes. I'm gonna watch it. Where the main character, his baby mom's, is in a relationship with his best friend who happens to be an athlete. And they're all still alive. Oh no, that's different.
Starting point is 00:54:54 And they're a blended family. It's a blended, I'm with blended family. I'm with blended family. I'm with blended family. If I'm still here, don't fuck with my man. But if I'm gone, I think I actually encourage that. Wait a minute. And I think that that can happen organically.
Starting point is 00:55:09 I think that your man could pass away, or your wife could pass away, and you are being the nigga that they leaning on, because you think that's your duty. Like, yo, you need some money, you need this, you need that. Exactly. I know he would have done those things. Need some pussy. Right.
Starting point is 00:55:23 You could do all that without fucking my girl. You trying to step up to be a president in his absence. And that can be an organic thing where she starts to like you or he starts to like her. I agree. I don't think that that's wrong. I have a friend whose father passed away when he was six years old.
Starting point is 00:55:39 And his mother ended up marrying his father's best friend. I don't know what the length of time afterwards, but it wasn't that long. He's carried this inside his head and resents his mom as a result. I was like, so you've been thinking with your six-year-old brain, trying to figure out the decisions
Starting point is 00:55:55 that this woman who was left widowed with young children, yet it's like there's also like a sense of support that a woman would. I wouldn't want my wife or baby mom to go out and deal with all the fuckheads in the street like there's a good man like don't don't mess with my like wild friends though pick a good one a solid one yeah it's some different yeah I got it but every because it was a thing back in the days I heard like back in the days it was a thing with the
Starting point is 00:56:20 husband died and married that the brother the brother I read but yeah I believe a lot to what year died? You died five years ago. Who me? Has it been five years you died? Let me tell you something, don't listen. I gotta come holy damn. What you talking about real quick? You talking about me?
Starting point is 00:56:44 I'll kill you, nigga. I'll punch you in your face right now. I don't give a fuck, nigga. JR will fix you, nigga. JR will fix you. JR be happy to see a familiar? JR will fix you. I'm joking, man.
Starting point is 00:57:00 We know some niggas out here are able to help the family without getting in the bed with the girl. Wait, so, because I'm fascinated by these rules because even parts got a rule you like you you're okay with it as long as you're dead alive you didn't know she can't know we got all these rules but what women could do with their bodies I'm not saying I don't have those rules, too I'm saying that they're fucked up rules. I'm saying I don't want my wife That is about control the women do it they buy
Starting point is 00:57:57 Yes an example from a woman's I said both Look as most of us don't have the same rule for the other side That's not true. I said for both. I think I think it's the same. I'm saying most of us most dudes I know have fucked up their date Let me know. Yep, many dudes I know have had sex with they with their girlfriends best friends or if they white that would fuck they best friend They think they might best and you know what he was plotting on her why she was here
Starting point is 00:58:22 Right, which is the same shit that I'm saying it don't make it right either way Is that against your ethics and morals and principles? And be clear a lot of You know what he was plotting on her while she was here, right? Which is the same shit that I'm saying it don't make it right either way If you were to mess with your wife if she would have passed away god forbid her girlfriend Yes, or her best, you know, that's what would that be against ethics and rules and principles yes why it's still wrong why because that was my wife's best friend that's crazy to me it's still regardless of listen double it's double standards whatever we believe it's still wrong at the end of it because how would she feel well my wife want me to move on but she's you know you wouldn't slide your wife yes I'm happening her brother this
Starting point is 00:59:03 is not a careful-based conversation. Careful, careful. I'm thinking which one is the best friend. No, no, I'm just kidding. That's hilarious. Okay, wait, wait. I would not. I would not.
Starting point is 00:59:11 Because you live by principles and certain principles and morals that was instilled. Why wouldn't you? Hold on, what is she? Even though you don't want to identify it as principles and morals that is instilled in us, that's what we live by. An unspoken rule and unspoken respect
Starting point is 00:59:22 amongst inner relationship amongst your partner. You're not supposed to fuck, if your wife passed away, you're not supposed to fuck her best friend because that's just what it is. I'm not disagreeing. Even when she alive, they can be doing that. I'm not disagreeing with that part. This is what I'm saying.
Starting point is 00:59:35 I personally would not because anybody who my wife considers a best friend, I look at like a sister at that point. There we go. So for me, it's just like anybody in this room, any of y'all ladies I look look at like family at that point. I stop looking at the- There's only one lady.
Starting point is 00:59:48 What'd you say? There's only one lady in the room. I said any- No, y'all's ladies. Oh, our ladies. Copy, copy, copy, copy. Okay. Like I look at y'all, so I wouldn't even think like that.
Starting point is 00:59:58 And after they go and I don't start thinking like that, like, oh, now they, I get that. But what I'm saying is if I were to make a different choice- You met this lady? I'll sleep one of y'all niggas right now. If I did I wouldn't tell you. Okay, just checking. But... Yeah, I'll make it uncomfortable, nigga. I don't care.
Starting point is 01:00:15 Nobody's scared. But the point is, it's about, ultimately it still becomes about control. And I find that we want to control what people do. But Mark, this is what we're saying to you. Why you always speak like you done found some epiphany while also admitting that you're guilty of the same shit? You know what time it is. Because why do you smell?
Starting point is 01:00:37 So then we can what you're doing? Oh, hell no. Yeah. Oh, hell no. Oh, hell no. Oh, hell no. Oh, hell no. It's called self-awareness. Being able to acknowledge that you have fault, but also, you know...
Starting point is 01:00:52 And want to be better. Exactly. It's called self-awareness. I know, but you could do that while you could also sound like you identify with that side because you lived that. I'm not here in identification in terms of, yeah, I understand how that can happen even though it sounds foul when we verbalize. I'm doing that so that I don't seem like I'm talking above the fray, like I'm taking a moral high ground.
Starting point is 01:01:16 I'm saying I struggle with that too, but it's a dumb ass position to take that I might struggle with too. If my wife told me right now, Mark, if you die, you know, I could end up with your best friend, right? Or somebody you know. That shit would drive me crazy, even though it shouldn't fucking matter.
Starting point is 01:01:32 I know, then we need to address why she's telling you this. Right? Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's the thing. That's fair, that's fair. So you think about this now. It's a tough, it's a tough hypothetical. I don't mean it in that way.
Starting point is 01:01:41 I just mean. If she initiated the conversation, it hits different. But if hypothetically, she said, yo, if something were to happen to me, I wouldn't mind if you sort a relationship with such-and-such, and that could be her best friend. You receive that differently. For sure.
Starting point is 01:01:57 Than her saying, yo, I'll fuck Keith. Yeah, and I said that wrong. I'll put it like this. If my wife were to ask me, Mark, is anybody off limits if you die for me to date? In my brain, I got a list of people, same way everybody in this room do. But in real life, I would say no.
Starting point is 01:02:11 And that's what I'm saying, I would say no. I'm selling you my list. I would say my list, why would you say no? This is also a clip from Modern Family when they was on the plane, they had this exact conversation. I would say no because even though I have a list. One of the greatest shows ever.
Starting point is 01:02:26 This shit is, my list would be friends, some family, some of my favorite rappers, it'd be a list. Okay. I'm not even joking. And Idris, fuck that guy. Morris Chesnall. Morris Chesnall. Morris I ain't worried about, but that,
Starting point is 01:02:37 Idris. What's the name, the dude? Don Cheagle. Dancing? Which one? Whatever that dude that was at the Muslim banquet thing. Yeah, he's the- Mahershala Ali. Mahershala, yeah.
Starting point is 01:02:45 Mahershala. Top of the list, right? Fuck that guy. But. Well, you just named three guys who are very happily married. Idris. But I'm dead, their wives could be dead.
Starting point is 01:02:53 Whatever the point. You know, all the niggas is happily married, ain't it? Yes, I do. I had no idea at all. I absolutely do. All right. The point is. I'm in that age range where I'm looking for
Starting point is 01:03:02 who's getting divorced. Anyways, go on. Anyway, enough about this. Oh my God. Wait, wait, hold up. Come out. Whoa! Ow!
Starting point is 01:03:10 Holy shit. Who is looking to get on their second marriage? She said I'm here for seconds. I told you I'm not editing myself anymore. Go on. All right. I love that. I love that.
Starting point is 01:03:18 So, so, so tell me who is on your... No, she said I'm here for seconds. I told you I'm not editing myself anymore. Go on, all right. I love that. I love that. So tell me who is on your list. So if your partner comes to you and says right now, who's on the cannot fuck with you cannot fuck with them list after I die, who's on the list for you?
Starting point is 01:03:36 Everyone. No, I'm free mail. I want to go back to why you won't tell her the list, though. Because I don't think I'm right. I think I'm being stupid. She's asking you a question. Yes, and I'm saying go back to why you won't tell her to list though. Because I don't think I'm right. I think I'm being selfish. She's asking you a question. Yes, and I'm saying I don't think it's a reasonable ask, even if she does, I disagree.
Starting point is 01:03:51 I'm saying I have a list, but I don't think I'm right. So you'd rather lie to her? Yeah, freeze, freeze. No, you'd rather pander and play politically correct. Pandering to who? There's two people in there, that's not what pandering means. I'm just saying, I wanna do what I think is right, even if I think that it is a popular opinion.
Starting point is 01:04:05 Yo dog, that's pandering. You going with what- I want to do what is right, even if it's popular. Did you just say, I want to do what's right. You're screaming for no reason. I apologize, this is what I'm saying. What I'm saying is- No, no, that's not pandering, hold on.
Starting point is 01:04:16 I say, doing what you think is right is not pandering. You're lying. No, I said- You are lying to your wife, she asked you a direct question. Because you're saying what you think is right. And you gave a politically correct response as opposed to telling what you really feel. That is not a lie.
Starting point is 01:04:29 Listen to what I just said. That's not a lie. You said, I have a list, and I'm telling her, no, there's no list. That's a lie. That's not what I said. That's not what I said. I'm not going to sell her my list.
Starting point is 01:04:36 Now, let me tell you what I actually said. Oh, y'all got him. She asked me who. Y'all have all the ropes. And she's short. I think you have them, too. Come on, issue. If you just let me talk, you'll hear what I'm saying.
Starting point is 01:04:43 She said, who is off limits? Who do you want to be off limits? Who is off limits? And I'm saying, I have a list of people who I want to be off limits, but I'm not going to share that list because, let me finish, because- I'm not saying a word.
Starting point is 01:04:53 Usually people do like this as an interjection. So I'm saying I wouldn't share that list because I don't actually think that's the right list to share. I'm gonna do the right thing, even though it's difficult for me. That's not pandering. That's me saying I'm gonna make a principled decision despite the fact that she's giving me another option.
Starting point is 01:05:07 Margot? Yeah. You said when she asked you this question, you're gonna say nobody, even though you have a list this long. Yes. That's a lie. It's not a lie.
Starting point is 01:05:18 He trying to get off on that semantic part. It's not a semantic thing, it's not. If you say- Who's off limits versus who you want to be off limits is what you're saying. Yes, and I'm saying... Semantics. I'm saying I want the whole world to be off limits,
Starting point is 01:05:32 but that's not fair. It's not fair. So I'm gonna do what's fair. That's not a lie. Semantics. It's not a lie. Joe, if I say to you right now, Joe, if I say to you right now,
Starting point is 01:05:43 Joe, if I say to you, who are you firing? Right? And you gotta have a list of people who you wanna fire, who you wanna say, right? Not here, anywhere, right? And you ultimately decide that you don't, you ultimately decide not to. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 01:05:55 Now use that example. I understand. I understand what you're saying. I'm doing it for the, no, no, because I don't feel like thinking it through. And you do too, we just think he's lying. I don't. What's the line?
Starting point is 01:06:04 Hold on, how is that semantic? I don't tap dancing on a fine line about someone. That's called lying. I don't want to be circle about it. How is that semantic? I don't tap dancing on a fine line. That's called nuance. I'm saying there's lots of people I don't want my right to fuck, but I don't think I have a right to say that. You can't correct yourself in real time, bro. She's giving you the right to say that by asking you who are the people you don't want me to fuck with.
Starting point is 01:06:18 Who's off limits? That is her saying, hey, even if you don't think you have the right, I'm giving it to you, because I would like to know the people that you think would be off limits. And that's a fair question. I'm saying I am. And then you're going to say, there's nobody off limits, even though in your head, there's a lot of people
Starting point is 01:06:31 I would say are off limits. So he's lying to himself. He's lying to her, because he's telling her there's nobody. I'm not lying to her. She asked a direct question. Yeah, but he just omitted. He's not telling her.
Starting point is 01:06:38 This is what I'm saying. If she says to me, Mark, are that niggas you rather not circle her? Purposeful omission is a lie. I'm not lying. I'm talking to him. Listen, listen. Recirculate, recirculate. I don't want you guys to not fuck with me. Purposeful omission is a lie. I'm not lying. Okay, listen. Listen, listen. We're circular.
Starting point is 01:06:47 We're circular. I don't want you guys to be circular. I got it. What I will say in terms of what I think you're saying is, I take you at your word. I believe you. Yeah. I do believe you.
Starting point is 01:06:59 I think that has to do, I think I believe you more so on what that stance does for your appearance to your wife versus what you saying. No, I feel you. Like when you say to your wife, nobody. Here's the thing, if I were to ask my wife that same question, she would have a list of meaning and would tell me that list.
Starting point is 01:07:19 So it's not like she's expecting me to say nobody. I just think that she's wrong. And I'm not gonna do to her what she might, I'm not going to impose a rule on her just because she's imposing the same rule on me because I don't actually think that rule is okay. Listen brother, I don't ever aspire to be as mature as you. You too damn mature.
Starting point is 01:07:38 But you can correct yourself in real time. You can't, you can't correct me. No, when I'm saying I agree with you, you can't have me, me, me, me. No, not, when I'm saying I agree with you, you can't have a conversation and in, inside you can feel one way, but when you talk it to your wife, you just don't want to put that, cause it's wrong.
Starting point is 01:07:52 There's a lot of shit that I have that conversation with Linky all the time and I'd be dead wrong, but I don't want to, I don't. Admit it. Admit it. Like exactly, man. Like I be, I know I'm wrong in my mind, but I don't want to have that debate. I don't want to put that on her
Starting point is 01:08:03 and I don't want her to put that on me Let me ask you a question in that line ish if I were to say or flipping ice if I were to say She says who's off-limits? I say well, you know I gotta would it be honest to say look I got a lot of people my head that I don't want you to fuck With but I don't actually think I should say that to you because I don't want to put restrictions on you So do what you you know, do what you want. That's like meeting in the middle Honest that's you being honest, yo, there is a list.
Starting point is 01:08:26 But I don't want to tell you the list, instead of saying, no, there's no list. I didn't say there was no list. Do you understand the difference between saying, there's no list? All right, let's get it. I'll leave. That's not what I'm saying.
Starting point is 01:08:36 In closing, none of us are leaving our partners. And hopefully our partnership not leaving. And none of us are having these talks currently outside of me. I ain't going to the bars, baby. Before we close, I just had one question for Mark, because I didn't see the chatter, obviously. But was there a separation in the attitude towards this question between men and women?
Starting point is 01:08:59 Like, did women have a different stance collectively? Yes, they did. They attacked me. They said, oh, you want to control her pussy now? All type of crazy stuff. Women did this. Women did this. Yes.
Starting point is 01:09:09 Some men did too. Some women do that too. It's probably middle. To me, I saw a lot of women on the side of she can do whatever she wants. She can live her life. Women can be very judgy in these situations too from my personal experience. They absolutely can. So for them to say that.
Starting point is 01:09:24 Whenever you sleep with them. Every time I fuck one of their dead too, from my personal experience. They absolutely can, so for them to say that. Whenever you sleep with them. That's collective. Every time I fuck one of they dead friends, they start judging me. Yeah. I'm with you, Parks. Once upon a time. No time it is, right?

We have Jalen Williams for more than five three-point attempts and we have Shay for more than one and a half three-pointers made. That don't sound like a bad ticket. Starting point is 01:11:58 picks right this second and use promo code JBP you get $50 instantly when you play your first $5 lineup so good luck to all participants out there and run your game all right the clips did a GQ interview really good interview by the way yeah yep long long read a lot of interview but certain clips started making the way around One being how push feels about Kanye currently how he feels about the Drake lawsuit Yada yada yada which part do y'all want to unpack first in this push it? Oh Oh and Def Jam the Def Jam on rock nation now because the Kendrick verse Def Jam wouldn't clear it. Let me lead off.
Starting point is 01:12:45 Go ahead. Def Jam ain't been Def Jam since I was at Def Jam. Def Jam has always been Def D E A F Jam. I call them Def Jig. Or that. I like that better. I've been calling them Def Jig. Now I try to chill because I used to know good people working over there. I don't know who's over there now. I know they broke down Consolidated and picked it back up and they made some type of new group now with all of Mercury and islanding
Starting point is 01:13:14 Yeah, we'll get to that But Def Jam did Big Sean wrong Tiana wrong, even though she's still over there. Who else did they do wrong? Crit, Joe Budden, Def Jam without Ludacris and Jah and DMX and LL and that Def Jam ain't Def Jam. So why everybody get all of that the record player with the needle on the post that I have fucking tattooed on me, them days are long gone. Why anybody is surprised that Def Jam did some anti hip hop shit? I'm shocked by it, but I'm not. They've done a good job with marketing themselves as the hip hoppidious hip hop label and that just has not been the truth for quite some time. So it don't shock me that they said in the middle of litigation, hey no Kendrick even though he is a universal act. Well I think they wanted to censor him and they refused so they want to take the song off and they refused so they came up
Starting point is 01:14:20 with hey just let us go and that was problematic because Pusha is also signed there as a solo artist. So. Well, that's the way I want to reserve some of my Def Jam vitriol. If that story is true, that means that they released them. They did. Yes, they did release them.
Starting point is 01:14:38 Yeah. Which is, I mean. So we want to applaud Def Jam for, because I wouldn't have done that. No way. No way. I wouldn't have done that. No way. No way. I wouldn't have released him.
Starting point is 01:14:46 No way. You'd have just had to find another way with your little verse. But did the Kendrick verse say or? It's not out. No one's heard it. We haven't heard it. Only Rob Markman has heard it.
Starting point is 01:14:55 No, as a, you know, from the interview, was there a subliminal against Drake? Was there? From what I was told, no. He didn't make any subliminals about Drake or anything like that. I don't think that matters when litigation is going on. Yeah. So they're just afraid that any mention
Starting point is 01:15:12 or subliminal. Everything is open for interpretation. The mere appearance on there, I guess, scared them off. So just Kendrick's appearance alone is. It's gonna do something. No, Kendrick's appearance in combination with Pusha T. Oh, gotcha, gotcha. Who are the two people that
Starting point is 01:15:26 It's in sending a battle like I understand and we we in the middle of a potential Ten figure lawsuit against this man. Yeah I'm gonna proceed on the side of caution. You're gonna cost us money. Yeah, they are already literally supposedly You're gonna cost us money. Yeah. They are already literally, supposedly, some billions is being tossed around as a potential settlement. Nigga, I'm not playing them games. So you can feel how you want to feel on a sentimental side, but this is business. And sometimes we get the two conflated.
Starting point is 01:15:59 Like fam, I'm making the best decision for our business, not for your project and your art. So they left Def Jam and went to Rock Nation? Yes. That's interesting. They left Def Jam, they were shopping the album around, and eventually partnered up with Rock Nation for distribution.
Starting point is 01:16:17 Got it. So it's like a distro deal with them. Thoughts? Yeah, what do we? I mean, I think they landed in the right place, honestly. Def Jam hasn't been Def Jam to your point. I agree. So Rock Nation is still Rock Nation and they've got a bunch of talented people over there and they're building it so they landed in the right place. How normal is this in the business that a label is stepping in and do this? Stepping in what? Like Sensor? Yeah. Sensor might take you over the verse yeah this is not from my hip-hop that just didn't happen in this artist
Starting point is 01:16:49 didn't have that much power back then I got some first-hand some did very something but that didn't some do today I didn't go on well yeah it still only is I feel like usually these type of things would be like a in our decision this artist isn't hot enough or whatever reason, we don't want this artist on there. This might be the first time I've experienced or witnessed them censoring for... A huge artist, yeah. Taking a bigger artist than the album is.
Starting point is 01:17:17 Yeah, nobody's ever heard of you having the biggest rapper in the game feature and the label you're on saying no thank you. Nobody's ever heard of that. Yeah. Yeah, that's new. Okay. Could be. That's new.
Starting point is 01:17:32 But I understand the position. Yeah. And I think Push even, yeah, I think Push even said something like that. Yo, the lawsuit shit is bigger than hip hop now, so it sucks that you kinda gotta acquiesce to this thing, but it's here. And it is a real thing, so it sucks that you got kind of got to acquiesce to this thing but it's here and it is a real thing so you have to treat it that way. So I understand Def Jam's position, thank God that there is a juxtaposition.
Starting point is 01:17:54 Alternate right? Yeah. I don't know if it's just a Def Jam position that this is coming from and I say that because I've heard firsthand that there has been edits made to, or verses removed came down strictly from a certain artist. Yo, I need y'all, that can't go on that album. Yeah. Well, they mentioned it. They mentioned the Rick Ross. It's some other ones.
Starting point is 01:18:23 Yeah, I'm sure there's some other ones. There's some other records that I was told he did the same thing to. Yo, this can't happen. And if you don't do this, I'll make it up by doing something for y'all. You scratch my back by getting this off of this album, I'll scratch your back.
Starting point is 01:18:37 You're saying this is Drake? Yes. That's what you're saying. Yes, that's what I'm saying. Do you think that? I think it's UMG. But that could be acting for me. It's still.
Starting point is 01:18:47 Yeah. If I could pick up a phone call and call ahead over here, yo, dead that. I'd have more respect if it was UMG though. Like, because then it feels like a business move and you just have to do it. If another artist just calls you and says like, you know what I'm saying, like take this, I don't want that verse in there. Yeah, I don't respect that as much. That's all I'm saying. I just think that's power. I agree with that too, but I was just about to say,
Starting point is 01:19:09 I think that he's an anomaly or he's one of a selected few groups of artists where he ain't moving like an artist no more, he moving like a business and like a brand. And if you're going to say some shit that could be potentially disparaging to me, I got the big boy power to shelf your shit. Remember back when. I don't think that could be potentially disparaging to me. I got the big boy power to shelf your shit. Remember back when I don't think that that's new. Remember back when 50 was beefing with the locks.
Starting point is 01:19:30 And he said, one more word out your mouth, I'll push style shit back. Like I had power at university. He was saying that. I mean, excuse me, at Interscope. Yeah. 50 used to say, my name is Curtis Interscope Jackson. When I lean, the building leans.
Starting point is 01:19:43 So Drake has that power. Not just at, you know, I think it's further, well, I don't know today. Today, it might not reach as far. Before, I don't think it was just at Universal. I think he had that power across hip hop, period. I could make a phone call. I don't like that.
Starting point is 01:19:58 Fix it. How many artists had that power now? Now? Yeah. If we say Drake's one of those people, who else is one of those people? Taylor Swift. Taylor Swift. Yeah. Oh, for. Well that's what, again, that's something else that Drake was sitting there saying on the disses with Kendrick. Where he's like, yo, you gotta
Starting point is 01:20:13 coordinate your schedule with Taylor's people. You can't drop because she's dropping. The music industry coordinates their schedule with Taylor's people. Word. Man. She just got her shit back? Just so we're clear. Yeah, yeah, so, but from a business perspective, if Joe says, yo, not that you would do this, yo, don't go over there and be on that podcast. I would do that. Come here first, right? Come here first. You have to now look at a risk versus reward thing
Starting point is 01:20:42 that if Drake is saying, I got you, my nigga, I'm going to give you two free verses, right? Those verses could take you out of here. You're gonna get more spins than you ever got. You might get more streams than you ever got. Verses, this artist like, yo, dog, I know you my, I don't even know if they got a personal relationship,
Starting point is 01:20:58 but you not as hot as Drake. Right. Right? So if he tells me, yo, do me a solid, I'ma do you a solid, then it's a business decision that might have to be made. It's the black ball. It's just another way to do it. And I don't think he's the, that's what I'm saying.
Starting point is 01:21:10 I don't think he's the first nigga that's doing that. I think it's counterproductive. I mean, I want to hear the verse more now. Yeah. Yeah. Absolutely. From whose perspective? You talking about from a fan's perspective. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:21:24 Oh, I'm not talking about them. I'm talking about me. And that's what happens though. I want to, now you've put, I wasn't necessarily checking for this song. Right. So now Kendrick can just drop that verse himself. No, that verse is on the album. It's coming up. Because the album's not over there.
Starting point is 01:21:38 Right, right, because he moved right. Now, with the other one, like the verse we were talking about was Maybach Music 6. It was a raw song featuring Young Thug, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry. It was a raw song featuring Lil Wayne and Pusha T, originally. Whatever calls were made, Pusha's verse was removed from that.
Starting point is 01:21:56 It went out as Ross and Wayne. And then, with the power of the internet, no, I'm gonna upload this verse. Somebody's gonna upload this verse. And the verse will. I like Kendrick clearing his verse for this Clips project no matter what label it comes out on. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:22:12 I like that. Yeah. That's not a given. So that's not a given. I didn't know that. I could be clearing you because you over there. The second that you go over there, I could put a nix to all of that.
Starting point is 01:22:23 So he cleared it twice. Wherever you end up with it. The second that you go over there, I could put a nix to all of that. So he cleared it twice. Wherever you end up with it. So now imagine that I get to negotiate my new terms with a Kendrick Vance. Yeah, yeah. And you know if I'm gonna run to it, now they really like it. That's the best promo for this.
Starting point is 01:22:39 It's like when Wayne looked out for me on She Don't Put It Down, boy, I was talking to E1 like my dick was 30 inches. I ain't gonna hold you. I was talking to them niggas. Boy. That's nice. You got a nigga verse from fuckin' better than you. Doin' a little better.
Starting point is 01:22:58 Label react a little. Yeah, a little different. Yeah, I want to progress the conversation, Joe. You've been one of the guys that gone against the machine and now they're saying, no, not now they're saying, as you being the person that did it, now they're saying that we up here may be afraid to speak on Roc Nation and the things that's talked about
Starting point is 01:23:21 that's going surrounding it. What is your outlook on that? As far as speaking on things, do you reserve? They said that. Niggas, academics said that. Academics and other people. Nobody. What if we're talking about?
Starting point is 01:23:35 It's not just a lot of people. So I want to know, because you my man. I'm on the same type of time you on. So meaning that I don't speak on shit if I have a relationship. Me, I can identify. If I have a relationship with somebody, I'm not speaking on it because I don't want to. if I have a relationship, me, I can identify. If I have a relationship with somebody, I'm not speaking on it because I don't want to.
Starting point is 01:23:47 Regardless of how egregious it may come off, I'm not speaking it because I respect my relationships. So like if there was like a festival where things didn't go perfectly, you wouldn't like bomb shit on it. I'm gonna fuck you up, okay? But I wanna know when people say that towards you as, That's good for you though.
Starting point is 01:24:02 As you being the guy. You wanna give five tickets to the tone deaf girl. Yeah, you try to distract me. as you being the guy. You're trying to distract me. I'm not, let me try to, I don't, I saw Axe say that, I didn't see nobody else say that. There's a couple people, a lot of people say that. People follow, like, responding to that by saying, yeah, they up here not doing it. No, I'ma be honest, I saw it with people tagging posts
Starting point is 01:24:18 before he posted that, like, yo, y'all not gonna talk about this? Y'all, I saw it. There was specific topics that they feel like we avoided. Yes. Yes. Yes. And I just want to hear from you how you look at that, Joe.
Starting point is 01:24:30 It's a good question. You know, maybe I'd be far removed from shit. My brain would be so different from what the internet is saying. We don't know if we... In my brain... Shut up. I was about to say I'm talking to your cheerleader, motherfucker. I'm not talking to that.
Starting point is 01:24:44 I'm talking to them talking. Okay, okay. What I'm saying is the Desiree story broke while we were still recording to me. Yes. That's that story. But there has been what is the other rock nation story that people have run from up here quickly because we were there. There's been talks of the story, you know what I'm saying? Yeah, the shit that Desiree herself is- That can't possibly apply to this podcast.
Starting point is 01:25:10 No, because he told you, that's what I'm saying. That's what I'm saying. That cannot possibly apply to this broadcast. But I think you speak of it, I don't, but I think what they say is that you don't identify that Roc Nation may be playing a role in why Tori lanes in jail. That's the angle that they're taking.
Starting point is 01:25:27 You never say that. You just say you're free Tory. I said it, but you never say, yo, I can see Roc Nation playing a part. You never, and. Well, one, I don't have no proof of that. True. And it's bonkers.
Starting point is 01:25:38 Just my take, speaking for myself. Got it. I won't go that far. I don't think it's bonkers. But I don't have any proof of it one and two That's ho's company. I do have a certain respect for him. I don't know. I don't have a relationship with Desiree I've never met Desiree. I don't Like I don't have any I don't have any equity there. Okay, so
Starting point is 01:26:01 She's in the news now in a story that I'm sure we'll get to at some point, but that story just broke. But why? And even that, I do have a certain type of sensitivity to speaking about any story with anybody's children. I agree. What I was going to say, why would you record that story? I want to be very clear on that. That's not a rock nation thing. Anybody's story that include their kids and how they going about parenting or not parenting, I let that play out. I don't rush to get to that. I can't let you do that.
Starting point is 01:26:34 Do it. We didn't do that with Brian McKnight kids. Stop it. You didn't? Stop it. That is the truth. I need to finish. Do you have another example?
Starting point is 01:26:42 I'm just giving you an example. You said any story with anybody's kids, you just let it play out. And Ryan, Ryan McKnight and rest in peace. Ryan McKnight, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, Niko, N kids and wanted nothing to do with his kids. I have a stance on that. I'm just telling you where I stand. I have a loud stance on people that want absolutely zero to do with their kids nor do I grant them the same rights and privileges as people who are trying to raise their kids. I'm lost. Joe, do you have another example outside of Brian Mcnagg? I don't have another example, I just gave one. So now let me get back to what I'm saying about how I carry it with people and their kids and then you could announce how you carry it. I hate this gotcha moment shit you niggas do with shit that don't make no sense. It ain't no gotcha moment, Joe. Brian Mcnagg wanted nothing to do with his kids, ain't claiming his kids even in death freeze. Please leave me alone right now. I'm telling people about how I carry people with kids. I see what you're saying,
Starting point is 01:27:50 but I also see how it's different. Like another- It always be different when he try that shit. Why ain't no trying nothing bro? What are you talking about? No, you get a Grimey Knight and Desiree Perez are not the same thing. I didn't say they're the same.
Starting point is 01:28:00 Then why the fuck are we talking about Grimey Knight? Yo, sometimes we don't even want that thing. Like come on. Nigga, that's hilarious. Go want that like come on. That's hilarious Freeze I think you're right. I think we do talk about kids until I think you know, that's all I'm saying Right, I think it's important though I think a better statement might be that is's certain kinds of conversations we have and certain kinds we don't. For me, one thing is, is it just about this person's business or does it advance a bigger story? Like for example,
Starting point is 01:28:32 the only reason Vanessa Bryant was interested in me today was because we had a whole conversation that was bigger than her. So that even after we knew the story wasn't true, it was still worth talking about. To me, Bryant McKnight's story is worth talking about because of all the shit that comes with parenting and children, also, he's on social media talking about his kids too, which is different than Dez, who's not on camera saying, hey, this thing happened to me. So I think that's different too.
Starting point is 01:28:55 So for me, and the Dez story to me is only interesting if we're going to report on it. I agree. And I don't think that's what we do here. You know what I mean? So I do think there's a distinction there. But there is a conversation there on how far you're willing to go to protect your child
Starting point is 01:29:09 or to protect your children. That's a conversation. We could have that conversation, but I'm saying I don't think it's, but the narrative on the internet is like, y'all are running from that story. It's like, well, that's not a story that I think needs to be told.
Starting point is 01:29:18 Me personally. The narrative on the internet is anything HOVE slash Roc Nation related, we won't touch. HOVE got students we talk to. And that's not true. Yeah, right, right. That's touch whole gas and that's not true right right that's just not just not true but that's the narrative they make it seem like we we all of you we claim whole vendors we love whole etc etc so we're afraid of whole we can't say that's it I'm not under that's the doubt but is the story like something that should not have it's not meant for public consumption and just it got leaked or
Starting point is 01:29:43 whatever no it's on the news. No no it's on the news. It's out. I understand that. The daughter sued her. It's out. Got it. Yeah I just don't think it's to me it's not about the music business it's not about black culture it's just a story about this person who happens to be famous if were she not famous we'd have no interest in that story that to me is why we don't talk about it. They're also not particularly the only reason why people care about it is because she's affiliated with Rock Nation. Yes. There's a lot of with Roc Nation. She's not famous. She's an exec. That's the only reason why they care. Yeah right. So all these conspiracy theories, y'all afraid, it's like Hove calls in and says no we're not talking about this. That's the part I hate
Starting point is 01:30:18 sometimes just working here for a short period of time is I'm now being introduced to all the conspiracy theories about this show and all the stuff that people think we do and Don't do you know all the people who call in and tells what we can talk about what we don't Yeah, all the segments that get cut out that I never knew even you happen I let flip do that cuz I know how he folks with the algorithm them narratives would die where they was birthed at That's a reason. I would never respond to somebody that's saying yo you're running from it. Yeah No, he's right.
Starting point is 01:30:46 Or the real ice answer is, so it's my show, if I wanna not speak about it, I don't have to speak about it. That would be an ice answer. Yes, 100%. Like yo, it's my show. You wanna talk about it, go on your platform and talk about it.
Starting point is 01:31:00 I agree with you. We deserve the right to say whatever, talk about what we want to or not talk about what we don't want to appear. And to what we want to or not talk about what we Don't want to appear and to flip's point if I do have a relationship with you And there's some shit that's potentially disparaging or could get you jammed up. I reserved the right not to talk about it That's the real world right and we're transparent about that. That's the real world Get off the internet go outside. That's the real world right there. Yeah, everybody got relationship
Starting point is 01:31:24 You hear something about somebody that you really fuck with, you might not talk about it. Or you might talk about it in your close circle, but y'all ain't online. Fuck these niggas. And honestly, I just honestly don't really care about some of the stuff that the internet people are trying to spread about the Deseret lady. Like some of the stuff that the internet people are trying to spread about, the Deseret lady.
Starting point is 01:31:46 Yeah. Like some of that stuff that they think is real important, I don't care, nothing about that. Like when I look at what's going, the people that I know, like in real life, and love, sing that lady's praises. I never met her. I do not know her.
Starting point is 01:32:02 I know her, and she's cool. I've only known about what I read, and the people that I love, that met her. I do not know her. I know her, and she's cool. I've only known about what I read and the people that I love that love her. They say that lady turned water to wine. But you know why they're looking for somebody to have these conversations about her. It's a hip hop talk. If hip hop claimed we don't fuck with informants,
Starting point is 01:32:19 we don't fuck with rats, we don't fuck with snitches, we don't do all of these things, and we apply this to certain people, everybody's ready to ostracize Gunner when they accuse him of being a snitch, and we don't do all of these things and we apply this to certain people, everybody's ready to ostracize Gunner when they accuse him of being a snitch and we don't even really know. So now you turn around to C-Rock Nation and her shit isn't black and white,
Starting point is 01:32:33 so people are saying, yo, what side of the fence are y'all on with that? Well, I'm not ever letting the internet help me form opinions one, two, I'm always with a redemption, retribution story here. So when I picture Hov, it adds something to the whole velour for me. I'm only speaking for me, that Emory is next to him.
Starting point is 01:32:56 I don't know Emory to have a unpolluted past. It means something to me that Tata is next to him. Like the people that he surround himself with, Biggs, whoever the fuck is over there. That means something. And if the internet goes search, you're going to find some unscrupulous, what's the word?
Starting point is 01:33:16 Unscrupulous things. Like that ain't, that's not how, everybody got to learn how they form opinions of people. You being next to somebody that may have been unscrupulous in the past, that don't just turn me all the way off from you, especially if there's a redemption story involved. So that's just for me. Got it. But I've never gotten a check from Desiree.
Starting point is 01:33:41 I hear that you get them going though. So that's the take one. I'm telling you get them I hear that you get going though. That's the hot take one now. I'm telling y'all something from the people I asked. I asked. Hey man. What's up? What's up? They told me. A few people. So what you want me to do? Shoot. You got it. That's bad? Stupid. That's bad. I don't know. It's not bad. You ask your questions. I just said it. Yeah, it's bad.
Starting point is 01:34:09 No, no, my face is doing the water and the wine thing. She get it done. Multiple people have told me. Add me to the list. She's seen do some amazing shit. She's been a part of Hope's team for a very, very long time. Would you do business with her? What'd you say?
Starting point is 01:34:19 Would you do business with her? Yeah, absolutely. Absolutely. Interesting. Wait, I think it's supposed to not do business with her? Yeah, absolutely. Absolutely. Interesting. Wait, I think it's supposed to not do business with her because she was part of some cartel and the 80s or something.
Starting point is 01:34:31 No, no, no, no. It's interesting. I'm asking. I asked him specifically. No, not that. I know where I was going. I don't. I asked him specifically because she's documented as an informant.
Starting point is 01:34:40 Yes, with the cartel. That's what he just said. But that part, the snitch part, and with his stances. Oh, I thought that wasn't confirmed. If it's confirmed. No, that was confirmed. Then I wouldn't. Oh, OK.
Starting point is 01:34:52 All right, cool. That's why I said interesting. We need a whole section of the game called Gotcha. No, it ain't Gotcha. This part, I love a little Gotcha moment. The internet loves Gotcha. That's a favorite thing I've moment. The internet loves gotcha. Yeah. That's a favorite thing I've seen. I think Mark Lyon again.
Starting point is 01:35:07 I think Mark Lyon again. I think Mark Lyon again. So the gotcha don't be meanin'. Niggas are lyin'. No sweat on my back. I never work with them. Joe, Joe, check to the nail. That docu-sign will be over in five minutes as promised.
Starting point is 01:35:15 Right there. So push it off some more. I'm gonna go ahead and do it. I'm gonna do it. I'm gonna do it. I'm gonna do it. I'm gonna do it. I'm gonna do it.
Starting point is 01:35:23 I'm gonna do it. I'm gonna do it. I'm gonna do it. I'm gonna do it. I'm gonna do it. I'm gonna do it. That docu-sign will be over in five minutes as promised. Right there. So Pusha also said that Kanye is, he doesn't look at him as a man and he did say that he did it right by giving him his proceeds from the Def Jam contract. I don't know what the falling out was there, but it seems pretty pretty deep rooted Now what I have no idea about he ain't expel yeah, not particularly just a couple sentences Yeah, I mean it was interesting. He didn't need to yeah
Starting point is 01:35:55 I mean mention the KKK hood and it looks like pro wrestler shit and he He said this one on the interview. We did just nobody realized that that's what he was saying. Mm-hmm, but Shit like to hear it here go Ain't no Kanye ain't no Kanye drama. I mean now the bromance this is in 2017 You know, they cool and then he shoot him in a verse or some shit That's weird push, bro That's weird push bruh, I know that's them That's them. I Can't be in the studio when Drake's there. I can't what do y'all think now like us means
Starting point is 01:36:32 When listen listen listen when they go to Wyoming, I'm there from the first of the seventh All right. All right. I catch you. I'm gonna catch you did it up next thing I hear on the eighth Drake here need it for dinner out these many days. I don't know this I'm not allowed everybody else can be there I can't Cuz I don't play neutral. I don't do that You don't get to shoot my homeboys and so on and so forth. It's not happening Just not what I do, but I feel like Kanye should be taking that same stance Well, he don't do that like everybody not built like me, bro What do you think that meant and you can't make people be built like you you can't make people you you can't
Starting point is 01:37:15 This was the nicest way to say the music industry. This ain't the streets So I don't I don't carry people like that. I don't it's like it is what it is If when I was growing up if I wanted to go to the mall If you couldn't fight you couldn't come to the mall with me. You come back home and play ball Yes If you can't I disagree with that though, okay, we had the mall and I'm getting jumped, go get help if you can't fight. I hate you forever. I don't want to hate you forever. You're bugging right now.
Starting point is 01:37:48 You bugging. I totally just agree with that. You're bugging. I just agree with that. His actual quote from the interview. Go ahead, please. It says, he knows I don't think he's a man. He knows it.
Starting point is 01:37:58 And that's why we can't build with each other no more. That's why me and him don't click. Because he knows what I really, really think of him. He showed me the weakest sides of him, and he knows how I think of weak people And there's another part where he's talking about Kanye is too intuitive So he sees through me being fake. That's what that was the beginning of that quote. Let me tell you something He's a genius and his intuition is more even more genius level, right? That's why me and him don't get along and And then the finish of the coin. I love that.
Starting point is 01:38:25 I really like this push or go. Push is great. Push is great. I never met him but I'm really high. For those that never met him, right? When you talk about principles and morals and respect being high and just carrying it a certain way, like just being both sides of the coin, peaceful but eh, you know what I mean? No, peaceful.
Starting point is 01:38:47 Logical, but it can get, I can go there. Pusha T is one of the best humans in rap. I never met him, but I like that guy. Not rappers. I like that guy. He's one of the best humans. Good dude.
Starting point is 01:38:59 He carry it. He got a lot of that roy shit. Like just honor. That's how he sounds. So when he said now, they attacking him now because they saying, which I disagree with, but they saying, well, nigga, the fuck you surround him for for so long if you felt that way.
Starting point is 01:39:17 I disagree with that. I disagree with that too. I totally disagree with that. I think Kanye. I know a box to put you in. No, I think Kanye has displayed more of himself as the years have gone along. I don't necessarily think that back then,
Starting point is 01:39:28 Kanye was exemplified, I mean. Kanye evolved into where he is now. Yeah, that's what I'm saying. So I don't think it was the same. Sorry, you're right, devolved, absolutely. To what he is today. It was devolved. Regression, rather than progression, regression.
Starting point is 01:39:44 It wasn't evil. He's been getting scrupulous right now. I think if Kanye was the man that he is today, 15 years ago, I don't know if push fucks on him like that. He says he's sick, I do believe that much. You're sick, but you're also very calculated. If I take your sickness and how calculated you are and disruptive you've been and try to try it to me then it cancels itself out I can't look at it sick because you're detrimental you're detrimental to everything and shout to
Starting point is 01:40:11 push being the only guy in the world that could say fuck Kanye and then turn around to the Pharrell batch right I'm just gonna hang out LV for the next when you talk about privilege see niggas be trying to skip over push privilege got so much that's pretty fly you get that privilege, see niggas be trying to skip over push privilege, you got so much privilege. That's pretty fly jam to do that. But you get that privilege by being solid. Stand up. You know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 01:40:31 That's not an accident. I think Pharrell and Kanye admired that about him. Yeah, how could you not? I knew he was, you could tell a stand up person when he was saying how dude was calling around trying to pay for dirt on him. And the people was telling him, like yo, we not even,
Starting point is 01:40:46 no, nobody's doing that. Same thing with Kendrick, I'm trying to get dirt on you, no. I wish I could tell you how I know that he was such a solid stand up dude, but I can't. Why not? Can. Personal?
Starting point is 01:40:58 Yeah. Illegal? Yeah. Whoa. Whoa. What's the form? No, I'm black. Black.
Starting point is 01:41:04 Black. Black. Mladem. Mladem. No, I, whoa. What's the four? Mladem. Mladem. Mladem. Mladem. Mladem. Mladem. Mladem. Mladem 44. You good?
Starting point is 01:41:12 Hey. Yeah. Holy shit. Yeah, you said Mlad 44. That's what I'm saying. I'm really looking forward to this Push album. Yes. Clips album.
Starting point is 01:41:24 I mean, I'm saying Push clips. I'm sorry. I'm sorry Hey, i'm seeing the malice the no-malice push talks back. I like it. Yeah, I like it. We do I like it What's wrong for you? He learned him. He learned i got learned. I told y'all I ain't saying that shit no more I mean if we only judging off the song that they just put out there's a conversation to be at If we're only judging off the song that they just put out there's a conversation to be had If we're only judging from that song Pam you can judge go to push last album. It's almost dry
Starting point is 01:41:56 The last song on there malice is on there on the Niko album. There's a Clips record This one there's like four joints just of recent they talked about it in the interview They said mouse is whooping ass all over this album. So oh, okay Yeah, pleasantly They talked about it in the interview. They said, Miles is whooping ass all over this album. So. Oh, word? Okay. He definitely got busy on that track. I was pleasantly, I was just pleased. He's been doing this. I was surprised. I was happy.
Starting point is 01:42:10 He's always been nice. I think people are shocked at how nice he is coming off the break. But the break is why I won't never look at him like I look at Bush. But they also said that they were working for a while to get back in shape. I was about to say, but yeah, he might not have just,
Starting point is 01:42:21 y'all just seeing him, he have But been off the break for two years He might have been off the break for you lead a game and go play baseball for four years and come back I ain't looking at you as the same as the dude that had to go and fucking but you know how you don't know how many Years I've been at open gym. You don't know how many years I've been at the pro workouts kicking these niggas asses I just stepped back at MSG right now We've also just seen so many instances in hip-hop specifically where someone went leaves and just falls off We're not even leaves but maybe goes to the jail this no like the Christian Rao or takes a different approach to Lyrics and it don't go off the double up sound real different in Harlem. Well, you know, that's a private example
Starting point is 01:43:04 Yeah, double up sound very different and Harlem World. You ain't lying. That's a private example. Yeah. Double Up sound very different. And I'm talking about the rapping. I'm not talking about the production. I like Double Up. It wasn't Harlem World. No you didn't. Yes I did.
Starting point is 01:43:13 You like Double Up for real? Yeah, it was cool. You were the other, the second person. Did y'all hear Malice? It was one song with Double Up. Same niggas. Y'all fucking me up. It was same niggas and that's it on Double Up.
Starting point is 01:43:23 I hated Double Up. Me too. Shout out to me. I love making music, but Double Up was trash. I hated that. Oh, did we hear what for years? I pray for you On the on the pushers last album him and malice No, yeah, I hear that verse. Oh, it's like people act in shock today and I it's almost dry was like another critically acclaimed album of pushers. I'm like, maybe y'all did not hear Malice verse on that song. I think a lot of people maybe didn't hear it.
Starting point is 01:43:50 Do you think that when, like the fact that you took a break or not a break, that you retired and you decided to jump back in, would it be rusty for you? How long you been retired again? Or four, five, six years? Rusty when? Before people heard it? Ten. Almost ten.
Starting point is 01:44:02 Ten years ago. And I told them it'd be ten years. So what I'm saying is that if you,'s crazy if you decided to come back, right? Would you fall on the rusty side or you fall on the side where damn Joe fell off? I would go brush I would go brush up You going into a camp are you getting over some of your homies are you now we're getting with niggas It's gonna look like a writing camp. It's gonna look like some of your homies? I'm getting with niggas. It's going to look like a writing camp. It's going to look like the Dreamville sessions again.
Starting point is 01:44:27 I'm going to get with rappers. I need to see that feeling of niggas that come in the gym and do it. I thought about that last week, right? And then we can move on. But the fans' perspective of certain rappers, like from what you hear from the completed song, to a rapper's perspective of rappers just when they walk
Starting point is 01:44:48 in a studio, it's just a different vibe, different energy. I think that's why a lot of music suffer today too, just because niggas ain't doing that. Getting in the studio together and feeding off each other, energy writing, now it's I do it over here, email it to you. Or no, you said that? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:45:07 Let me ball this paper up and throw that shit over there, rewrite some old shit. Somebody say, oh nah, hold on, this nigga bugging, hold on. Nah, we ain't doing this. Like you heard Jim talk about the welcome to New York City shit. And he was like, yo, them niggas was having like, oh, he said that.
Starting point is 01:45:22 Oh, and throw that shit away and start from scratch because nigga in there kicking on your ass in the studio, it's a competition thing. Like, Fab will never get the respect from fans that he gets from rappers who was in the studio and he walked in. It's not gonna happen. And it don't take him that long to do it, does it?
Starting point is 01:45:42 When he get, when he go in there? Nah, he's special. Yeah. Game is another one. We'll talk about him in a second too. He ain't never gonna get the fan respect that he should have. Facts.
Starting point is 01:45:53 Like the pressure from being in there with him or being in battle with this nigga. I was playing spades when he fucking responded. He almost fucked up the spade. Where do y'all think that come from, right? Where do you think the lack of respect? Cause like when we think about Jadakiss, we give him the respect. We think about Pusha T, he up the space. Where do y'all think that come from, right? Where do you think the lack of respect? Because when we think about Jadakiss, we give him the respect.
Starting point is 01:46:06 We think about Pusha T, he gets the respect. Where do you think that some of the lack of respect come from? Because game is fire, but then do you think that, I don't want to say shenanigans, but some of the things he did outshine? Absolutely, 1000%. A lot of people care more about that outside shit
Starting point is 01:46:21 than you actually, and they'll let the image of you outside affect how they even receive your music. Yeah, you that on the head. Yeah that's what we have. Because when these people come in the studio, none of that matter. When Wale come in the studio, whatever he did on Twitter, like you got to deal with this poet in the studio now. Or you. Oh no niggas didn't even come to the studio when I called. I know I'm just saying or you. Niggas might be like oh Joe the studio when I called. I know, I'm just saying, all you. Who didn't even play with me like that. Niggas might be like, oh, Joe Button out here doing the stupid shit on Joe Button TV, but this nigga is a real rapper. All the niggas who say,
Starting point is 01:46:50 had something to say about Joe being corny or whatever, whatever, it was, yo, but that nigga get busy though. Yeah, it was always a, it was always a, It was a caveat. A little ashtray. Yeah, always, I don't care what anybody said,
Starting point is 01:47:00 it was, nah, that nigga. They know what time it is. That's why I felt so comfortable rebranding and starting my career on the couch. to my friends. They know come on stop Anyway Music oh no, no, I was just asking it was the was the Cliff notes of the article The hot topics, but it's a really good article,
Starting point is 01:47:27 it's a really good read, go check it out, it's in GQ. Got it. Nice. Shout out to journalism. Bringing it back, right? Yeah. Like a good, well-written article is like, oh shit, this is not like the blog.
Starting point is 01:47:39 You said it was a long article, right? It's a long read, but a well-written read. It's good and long. It'll hold you. Nice try. Yolans got me. Yolans got me. We're not saying that shit. Unpause.
Starting point is 01:47:51 That's how I like them. Unpause. Play. Whoa, whoa. No, no, no, now we playing, now fuck it. Now we getting carried away. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That was just a heat check.
Starting point is 01:48:00 Gabby Bride. Just crazy. Gabby Primo. What else is in music? What else is happening in music? I don't know if you want to touch the Taylor Swift fighter or. That's crazy. That's some real shit. That's a crime move. What else is in music? What else is happening in music? I don't know if you wanna touch the Taylor Swift liner and her master's back, but she bought her original master's back.
Starting point is 01:48:11 Shout out to her. $360 million reportedly. My Lord. It was like the first six albums. Facts. A steal. Well, why is it a double steal is she already put out the re-releases
Starting point is 01:48:23 in Wet Platinum in week one. I'm getting all one again all like six different times and now I'm going back with my other shit again. That shit is don't matter which game though is impressive like she's changing the game. She's showing she's I don't know who's behind her or what it is, but at this point she's behind her don't matter. She got the bank roll. Now she's got the behind me. We put behind her. She's behind her. She's behind me. She put a plan together and executed her. Who you gonna go get?
Starting point is 01:48:47 Me? I'm gonna go home and get me? I'm the only nigga behind me. Hey yo, Justin Bieber, go talk to, I don't know if she gonna pick up your phone call, you've been wiling. Go sit down with her so we can try to figure out how you get some of that shit back as well, man.
Starting point is 01:48:57 Like, you know, sit down with Taylor Swift. Hopefully she, Everybody needs to sit down with Taylor Swift. She will, indeed. Get you a head. Know what I'm saying? You can sit down with me all day.'ll give you a head. You know what I'm saying? You can sit down with me all day. Y'all ain't moving the needle like I moved a needle,
Starting point is 01:49:08 so my options and your options is different. That's true. You can live in my house, nigga. You ain't gonna do what I'm doing, right? Fuck you talking about? Sit down. Levels. Yes.
Starting point is 01:49:19 What else is in music? I want to go back to that Leon Thomas deluxe. I hadn't had a chance to check it out when it first dropped. I had the pleasure of listening to it over the weekend. Same, again. He is, I don't know. I was going to play one of his songs the other day. It was my sleeper.
Starting point is 01:49:36 Which one? So I don't play it now. You got it. No, I'm talking about right now. He said you got something else. He don't even need that shit. I don't know. Well, I mean, shit, the whole deluxe is fire.
Starting point is 01:49:45 It is, it is. You can't really pull wrong from it. That Kalani record is tough. Yo, Kalani on the feature has won me over in the last two to three years. Yeah, she smoked that. She kills everyone. She smokes the features,
Starting point is 01:49:58 especially when it's with somebody that's bisexual. I'm serious, because they get on that Janet, that Janet sexy Tiana kind of, like with K-1, worst behavior, forget it. But anyway, this guy is on like a Don Toliver type run to me, Leon Thomas. Like he seems to be creating from a different frequency. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:50:21 What you playing? The Kalani. Yeah, record's tough. I sent you Party Favor. I was gonna play Party Favor but then you said, that's good. Dog, this record is absolutely beautiful. Sweet excuse can you just close your eyes? So you don't see the mess Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, I still want my shoes And I still walked into you I still walked into you Oh, inside your mask We're having fun
Starting point is 01:51:34 If you want to go, tell me that's up right now I still want my shoes And I'm tracking it all over the house Tracking it all over the house And I'm tracking it all over the, ayy, and I'm trackin' it up, ayy Still want me walkin' around, still want me walkin' around You got post therapy, clarity Any nigga that start the verse with you got post therapy, clarity is about to get in his bag
Starting point is 01:52:03 Shout out to Leon Thomas, shout out to Kaylani, that record is called dirt on my shoes off the deluxe the deluxe is Phenomenal it really shouts to the artists out there that ain't just scrapping together Leftovers from the album for the deluxe facts like you niggas that sound like y'all are putting actual effort like oh shit This could be half of a new album. Yeah, I don't usually like the deluxe, but this is actually good Yeah, you the anti-deldeluxe I'm super anti deluxe I mean I will say by the third version of much it was like they I wish they would have put a different beat or something in here I wish they would have combined them just yeah I got Chris Brown already done
Starting point is 01:52:42 got you Leon Thomas Thomas, man. Salute. I like when niggas come sit on this couch and then leave here and go absolutely bonkers. I mean, he was going off before he got here. I'm not taking credit, but. Now, you know what I like? When you meet him, and some of these people
Starting point is 01:52:58 are really just genuinely dope-ass, cool people. He sat on the couch. He was just kicking it, mad humble. Like, yo, if we cut the cameras off, we'd have still been in here kicking it and being how he was that I like that that's what fucked up my night on fucking Friday night when I was supposed to be in the gym Saturday morning sitting here lying to jazzy sitting here lying to jazzy talking about she got a blush yeah when artists come here I lie yeah but I knew I wasn't going out on Fridays cuz me and my girl did some talking those Friday
Starting point is 01:53:40 bars anyway I'm gonna sit my little hot ass home on Fridays. So I told the trainer, yo, 7 a.m. tomorrow, normal time. I normally push it to nine or 10 if I'm going out, but I ain't going out no more. Here come Jossie at around nine o'clock. Yo, OG, unk. Yo, we still going on and hit everybody up. OG up.
Starting point is 01:54:03 Oh, shoot, I'm putting the squad in there too. And Friday night just ain't the best night at some places. Yeah, yeah. I take my hot ass out there with her, try to show her a good time. Whoop your ass. Miss my gym appointment, miss my other appointment, had to clear the whole Saturday to get some sleep.
Starting point is 01:54:21 That's the other thing, my body ain't reacting the same way to going out one night. It ain't the same. It's different. And, and, if the one night I go out is not kid and play house party, then I could have stayed home. I curate my home in a way to whereas where I'm going is you're battling home. True. Home. Yeah, yeah, yeah, sure.
Starting point is 01:54:52 I got my favorite chips. Think of my baby, he bought me the salt and pepper chips. That's my stuff. Yeah, I'm like, go out for what? Okay, well hold on, hold on. So you, but you were hosting. So how did Jazi? Yeah, then my son hit me too.
Starting point is 01:55:07 That night. Literally. Yeah. Word. The other son. Yeah, I know. So did everybody have a good time? Did she have a good time?
Starting point is 01:55:16 Everybody had fun. OK. Trey had fun. Jazi had fun. Jazi's people had fun. Jazi hit me to thank me for our hospitality and yada yada yada, a lot of people enjoyed that. But you're great at that though. That shit don't get highlighted enough.
Starting point is 01:55:29 You're great at hosting and showing people a good time. Yeah, but it's over now. I know, shawty, not with none of that shit. Shawty, Shawty. I know, because me and Trey, Trey normally go out with me on Fridays, but he come with me to my other. So we walked in this spot, he like,
Starting point is 01:55:45 dad, what's going on? I said, what you mean? He said, I mean, it's cool in here, but this ain't your normal, get honest with my boy. It's like, yo man, she laid down a lot. The shit that you going through, the shit that you going through, son, I don't want to go through now.
Starting point is 01:56:04 Hey, baby boy. The shit that you going through, son, I don't want to go through now. Baby boy. The shit that you going through son, I don't want to go through now. Yeah exactly. You learn when you get money. All that fun you seen us having, talking about, let me see your toes in it. It's over buddy. It's over. I sit that down.
Starting point is 01:56:18 Happy home, happy, what is this? Not happy wife, happy life. Happy house, happy house. But you just said the other day that- Happy girlfriend, happy wife, happy house, happy house. But you just said the other day that- Happy girlfriend, happy world. You go- Oh. You just said that.
Starting point is 01:56:29 It's been 10 years. You gotta come to the booth a little bit, warm it up a little bit. Happy girl, happy world. I'll find some more Mobb Deep instrumentals for you or something, dude. You gotta be able to shake a dust off. You right, it's like camp time for sure.
Starting point is 01:56:40 Cause I'm right, you can't. You just said the other day that you go down with a fight, right, when it comes to the conversation. So how was OG able to convince you to not go out? Like what was the wild card she pulled out? Like, you know the wild card, there's only one wild card that needs to be pulled. It's the biggest of jokers.
Starting point is 01:56:57 If you're going down with a fight, there's only but a little bit of ammo that, like when my wife, I argue with her, there's only one thing that she can say. She has to catch me dead to right for me to say, ah, you got me. But if she don't, if you just speculate it, nigga, I'm going down, nigga.
Starting point is 01:57:12 Tyson, Buster Douglas. Don't you pick a battle? No, I'm every battle. It's all war. Every battle's me. All the time. I mean, now I do because now I pick the battles because my children are older, like Princess and Nico
Starting point is 01:57:24 and J.R., they're older now, so they're checking me. now so they checking me like you sound they checking me in the kitchen and conversations Yo pops you sounded like an idiot talking about say but see but I feel like if you can't sound stupid talking to your girl And who can you sound stupid talking to I agree I should be able to throw some wilds. Yeah Intentionally are doing I'm like, boy, what? And then let me just hear your response. But that don't get tiring, like you intentionally are doing what? That don't get tiring? That sounds exhausting. That just sound like a headache.
Starting point is 01:57:51 It don't. Like I'm listening to you and flipping. Cause you gotta see if your wife's head is on a swivel, nigga. What? You gotta see if you understand. I disagree with what he's saying. I don't know him, I don't know what I used to say.
Starting point is 01:58:00 Yeah, no, it's not tiring, you gotta understand the formula. You agree, I think it's tiring tiring you gotta understand you gotta understand the formula You know think it's tiring her you bought a whole new iPad for your girl's car that was Free free twelve years ago Yeah, isn't it mad about a bit from four years ago. Yeah, I'm old enough twelve years That's a twenty thirteen nigga. I was outside He ought to go like the kids make it
Starting point is 01:58:34 Picking a fight. Oh come on. Just no no no no not picking a fight. You said throwing some loud No, that's during a fight is yeah, we didn't pick a fight your girl boy fight already we're in the fight I'm trying to explain Shit. Yes, so you may say something that Your girl, boy, we're in the fight already. We're in the fight. I'm trying to explain shit. Yes. So you may say something that is a little out of, like when I was trying to defend Shorty Cookin' for me. I just walk out. He better be.
Starting point is 01:58:56 That was, I got threatened, I get comment on that. Shit. I got threatened, I get comment on that. You can just. And then my girl, she try to be fucking head, fucking a psychology major. And when you go sit over there, that's when you start smoking again,
Starting point is 01:59:11 that's when you're Mr. Jim, and your whole life, when you make one wrong misstep, that's when all your missteps line up. Oh, she was cooking. My girl is a psychology major. I don't play with her. You know what I like about Sade though?
Starting point is 01:59:23 Sade check everything around this nigga if she can. She gave me a look. Yo, hey. So to answer your question, I submit when the only thing I have left to say is, y'all want to do what I want. I agree. But I feel bad after.
Starting point is 01:59:37 So that's it. Like in the relationship. That's really what it is. In the relationship, it sounds bad. Sometimes you just want to do what the fuck you want to do. I don't want to have to consider you all the time, your ass.
Starting point is 01:59:51 You should be allowed to do that from time to time. Hold on, Fox. You should be. Hold on. To say it to your significant other. That's one of your semantic keys right there. That's why of your semantic keys right there. That's one of your semantic keys. That's why I'm laughing.
Starting point is 02:00:05 Before I say that, I'm gonna apologize, say I'll correct the behavior, because that's when, oh you can't say to your partner, y'all wanna do what the fuck I wanna do. I feel bad after I say that. And how would you feel if I said to you? This is nicer way to say it. Well, they would say it.
Starting point is 02:00:18 How would you? I'm saying how would you? If that was said back. Yo, I just wanna do what I wanna do and not continue. Sometimes I need space for myself. Well, that's the part where I know that I'm wrong too. Like at the part in the discussion where I say, if you was doing what I'm doing to you, I would be gone.
Starting point is 02:00:36 True. I think she knows that. But then she replies with like feelings. Hey, how do you think that makes me feel when you say that? And then I'm like, I don't know. Oh, you actually said some shit like that. Hey, how do you think that makes me feel when you say that? And then I'm like, Oh, you actually say something like that. This is Joe Button. Have you met Joe Button?
Starting point is 02:00:51 Joseph Anthony Button. What's wrong with your niggas? You could say- He's a crazy person. Yes. That's why I'm crazy as being honest. No, my partner, my girl holds me accountable and she will hold a mirror up when I say some nuts. Again, I feel like I should be able to be my unadulterated self with my partner my girl holds me accountable and she will pull the mirror up when I say some nut shit again
Starting point is 02:01:05 I feel like I should be able to be my unadulterated With my partner if my wife did half the shit I did nigga nigga. I might fucking fall into a tunnel nigga I tell her that With me for Politically correct You wanna be politically correct. Get him, Flip, he's pandering. No, I don't think he's pandering. I think he believes that he's a great man.
Starting point is 02:01:30 What I'm saying is that you say things like that, I feel bad after I say it. That's why I'm trying to tell y'all. I won't say that. Yeah, they're called in to choose his thoughts. Yeah, I wouldn't say that at all. I won't say that. I'm never saying that.
Starting point is 02:01:39 You're not being honest. That's not true. If you think about it, you're not being honest. It just goes back to his point. If you think, if I think to my wife that, yo, hey, you smell something. No, no, no, no, I'm not cooking that. That's not true. If you think about it, you're not being honest, it just goes back to his point. Ooh. If you think, if I think to my wife that, yo, hey, you smell something. No, no, no, no, I'm not cooking that, that's my man. Nothing's cooking.
Starting point is 02:01:50 But, man, I like banana bread. No, not at all. Nothing is cooking. If I felt this way, your theory earlier was, say how you feel. So I feel like I can do whatever I want, don't tell me what to do, and you can't do what I do. It's just saying he feels the same way.
Starting point is 02:02:03 That's what I'm saying. That's not a relationship, yo. can't do what I do. Because you did what I did. That's not a relationship. That's not what I said earlier. I said when my girlfriend asks me a direct question and I give an answer, contrary to how I really feel, that's a lie, that's what I said earlier. But I'm saying this, if I know that something I'm doing I wouldn't want done to me, I don't now tell my girl,
Starting point is 02:02:23 look, if you did all the shit I was doing, bitch, I'll leave you. I don't call that bitch. Oh, okay. Fuck the bitch part. You can take that out. Yo, I would leave you. That means basically,
Starting point is 02:02:32 I have a power and a control over you that you don't have over me. And I'm worth more. And do you know what my wife say to me, niggas? My wife say fuck you. We on air, so get it off. Get it out your system.
Starting point is 02:02:43 You think I'm lying? No, I don't think that you are lying. That would be. Bro, that's our facts. No. No, no. What fact? Well, admitting facts is lying.
Starting point is 02:02:52 I think you sat and thought long enough you could think of something that you do to your girl that. That I wouldn't want done to me. Yeah, true. But I wouldn't say that. But I wouldn't tell my girl it. You're not being honest. He's saying you be keeping it in his head.
Starting point is 02:03:03 I'm not gonna say that. Like I would've been my list. Got it, got it, got it. The shit that I'm doing, you'd be keeping it in his head. I'm not gonna say that. Like I would've been on my list. Got it, got it, got it. The shit that I'm doing, you was doing border. Maybe like a list? No, when somebody asks you a direct question, you omit what you really feel. But your wife would ask you why,
Starting point is 02:03:12 your girl would say, why did you do that? And my answer to her would be, now do you preheat this to 375? How does this work? Is it possible that he looks at that list as an intrusive thought? Which is what you're trying to omit from the conversation. What?
Starting point is 02:03:28 One was asked a direct question. And one wasn't. That is totally different. What are we talking about? But wait, who get muffins you say? Nobody. Freeze, freeze. Niggas is starving, they be late. Niggas is starving, they go to Dunkin' Donuts.
Starting point is 02:03:43 Your girl could still say to you, why did you do this? And the truth would be, I did it because I want to do it. But the real thing to do is not to tell her that. It's to keep that to yourself because it can hurt her feelings. So how do you answer that? Why did you do it?
Starting point is 02:04:00 Well, I answer it the way I just said it, and my wife cursed me out, and then I feel bad because she don't give a shit. She's not with none of that shit. I know you when you was broke. You was a bum. She starts talking her shit and she's telling the truth. And I have to eat that.
Starting point is 02:04:12 So I answered. So now in the future, because of my feelings. That's a good one. It was, yeah. Say the guy to him. Nothing. It wasn't against you. Keep going.
Starting point is 02:04:19 Yeah, because of my feelings. I don't want no problem. No, no, no. Because I don't want my feelings hurt because, well, she said, I don't go down that route unless I'm ready to hear that. I gotta prepare for that. I don't like to hear the truth from my wife. Yo, nigga, you was nothing, nigga.
Starting point is 02:04:32 We sleeping on the floor, nigga. You couldn't do nothing. Nigga, I gave you my checks, nigga, and all that shit to, she don't say nigga, but. Yo, you just flipping the income tax? No, I gave you all that to get where you at now. Look how you talking. He was just straight to it.
Starting point is 02:04:42 Then you got your children listening. So my daughter would come like, yo, I heard that, that sounds crazy. I don't believe in that. And my daughter's telling me this. I don't believe in that. I will never want to date a man that thinks like that. I don't believe in this.
Starting point is 02:04:56 This is my daughter. So then now there are real things in your life that's happening that makes you have to filter yourself. And while in the moment, I'm just being a dickhead to my wife just to win the argument. Because in all reality, I may not feel that way, but I do feel that way.
Starting point is 02:05:09 You just want to win. Yeah. You just want to win. And I do do what I want. But it's not good when you're in a household full of people. So... I learned that when I do what I want, the worst-case scenario lies ahead. So... True. It's best for me to just do what she want me to do.
Starting point is 02:05:27 I'm not gonna get mad. That's how I see it. What you get you're doing? I ain't wrong. What you get? That's what I'm saying. It's the safest choice. That's what I'm saying.
Starting point is 02:05:35 Bro, I'm chilling. Consideration and communication, bro. She knows what's best for me. I don't really sometimes, so. We don't know what's best for ourselves. Yeah. It takes somebody else from the outside to look. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 02:05:50 Yeah, that's true. Caribbean shit, you all right? Also in music. Teyana Taylor announced that her album is coming in August. I wasn't gonna report on that, cause that's my friend, so I ain't wanna look like, I'm like, hey, Tiana. But the name of the album is Escape Room.
Starting point is 02:06:11 That makes me wanna report on it now. Cause I tried to tell Iman ass, and now, see? That's why I don't date girls that could write a song. Well, not really. Mmm. Not really.
Starting point is 02:06:29 Yeah. There's a couple of them. There was a couple of them. Yeah, so I was reading about you. Cisco tried to give, Cisco and Ish tried to give the **** song one time. What are you keep saying?
Starting point is 02:06:38 You keep saying that Ish did not that, boy. The co-wrote devil. **** got a song out? Yeah. What? What? What? You lying?
Starting point is 02:06:50 That's your sleep a little. I'm going to go listen to something. You got it. Anyway, I told you a few months ago, my big mom wanted to come on this bar. I was like, all right, sure. But then I didn't hear nothing else. So like last month, I dropped him off.
Starting point is 02:07:04 I was like, hey, what's up? She was like, I was like, uh, we should push you back. No, I'm not. I was like, oh, that damn label. I know, girl. Yeah, you can't say.
Starting point is 02:07:24 I know Nick Cannon is having fun. I know how much fun I have with just two baby moms. If you had nine people that just fucking- Troll? Spin around. Yeah. This nigga's crazy, bro. And they got to listen to you.
Starting point is 02:07:39 It's psychotic. Nine joints. Yo, and you work for B? Oh, you didn't make it on this? You didn't make it on this? You didn't make it on this? You didn't make it on this? You didn't make it on this? Yo nine joints? Yo Anne you work for B? Oh you didn't make it on Dancing With The Stars this time? The candidate is having a blast.
Starting point is 02:07:53 You didn't make it on Dancing With The Stars this time? It might have been your dance class. Yo trolling your baby mom is fun yo. It is. It's fun. I'm glad we got past that stage where yeah, everybody girl think that everybody is trying to fuck their baby moms I don't know where that came from. I think that's so thanks Not like it used to not like you used to okay No, no way she y'all niggas talking from privilege is niggas going through that
Starting point is 02:08:21 Not like it used to be you ain't going through it. I'm not That's a good percent of what it used to be. It's like Fort Knox, nigga. He's never gonna go through that. No, I'm saying that. You can't see through his house. You can't see through his home, nigga. No, some of my niggas be telling me that they go through that.
Starting point is 02:08:38 He's right. Yeah, some of my niggas be. Well, some of your niggas are fucking they baby mama. No, I'm serious. No, but once that's not. Two, once that's not. I think that's the problem. That's the problem.
Starting point is 02:08:52 You just gotta get honest, man. Oh, man. I mean, I mean. You got a point. Anywho, an album called Escape Route. Room. Oh, sorry, that's my shit. Anywho, an album called Escape Route. Room.
Starting point is 02:09:06 Oh, sorry, that's my shit. That's your shit. That too, right. An album called Escape Room, fresh off of a separation. Divorce. Divorce, my nigga. Divorce, and a contentious one. Yeah, a nasty breakup.
Starting point is 02:09:19 That's just. And my new nigga is Aaron Pierre. Nigga, when that Darren Wall interview come out so we can watch it? June 10th. Why you? She's in La La Land. I'm not in fucking La La Land.
Starting point is 02:09:38 I'm with you, girl. Stop touching that hat, man. You can't do that. Girl, that's so crazy. Yo, she is my girl. She is, right, so. She's, she do that. That's gross. That's so gross. She is. She is gross. She's got that. She was at Rootsmith again.
Starting point is 02:09:47 Yeah, no, niggas. Help me. Anyway. She's good. What was we saying? Escape Room. She got an album. And if Cardi ever make an album, some girl on Twitter was like, she's going to make the Spanish version of Lemonade. What's your favorite? What's your favorite? What's your favorite? What's your favorite? What's your favorite? What's your favorite?
Starting point is 02:10:05 What's your favorite? What's your favorite? What's your favorite? What's your favorite? What's your favorite? What's your favorite? What's your favorite? What's your favorite?
Starting point is 02:10:11 What's your favorite? What's your favorite? What's your favorite? What's your favorite? What's your favorite? What's your favorite? What's your favorite? What's your favorite?
Starting point is 02:10:18 What's your favorite? What's your favorite? What's your favorite? What's your favorite? What's your favorite? What's your favorite? What's your favorite? What's your favorite? What's your favorite? What's your favorite? What's your favorite?i dropped an album, he's going to get it bad. I'm excited.
Starting point is 02:10:25 I think Tiana, first two projects, she has easily the most underrated catalog ever. 1000%. Yes. Like her first two albums. Incredible. Cold classic to me. Total playthroughs.
Starting point is 02:10:36 Cold classic to me. She's phenomenal, the only person still giving us some of that Janet Jackson, Janet Jackson vibe. Can't wait for it. That's all I have in music. I don't have anything else in music that needs our attention. Let's go Mel. Just speaking of like, you know.
Starting point is 02:10:53 Lenny Kravitz? No, not. I'm sorry. Not Lenny Kravitz. Another very talented female vocalist. Money Long made the blogs this week because she went live and I guess somebody was in her comments trolling her and she made a couple of comments about black women
Starting point is 02:11:15 always seeming to be the ones that disparage her. Like I have the clip lined up so I don't wanna like speak for her. Can we play it? Do you mind? Oh yeah, go ahead. You don't, you can't. What the fuck are you doing. You can't say that.
Starting point is 02:11:26 You can't say that. You want to do it? You be asking the trickiest questions. But I just, I have like a lead up question for all of you to this. I feel like I know where ICE stands on this, but I'm just going to play it. I stand with ICE. We know. Only ever black women that say they don't like my personality.
Starting point is 02:11:47 You know just that. Cause I'm being myself, I'm just like your raggedy mommy and aunties. With them ashy canks. This is how they act. But there's something wrong with my personality. You don't like me, you don't like yourself. Exactly. Take a look in the mirror, you don't like you. She sounds charming. My personal She sounds charming
Starting point is 02:12:23 Okay, so basically she says like in the She compares it to your raggedy mom and your aunties and shit like that So a lot of people can't go yeah, she can't go. Yeah, she's she's It's divided in terms of like criticism people saying well I mean if it don't apply let it fly kind of thing and then other people are like yo this is your fan base you're talking about black women and You know now you're insulting us, so you're canceled etc etc Who's criticizing her? and now you're insulting us, so you're canceled, et cetera, et cetera. Who's criticizing her?
Starting point is 02:12:50 In her lives, she's basically saying, the only criticism that I receive is from black women. Being a black woman. And so people are just like, well that's your fan base. So I guess in no uncertain terms, they're basically saying you can't respond to the criticism of the people from your fan base. What was the question? I'm sorry man you said you had a follow-up question for us. Like in terms of being full...what? Wait, you start ordering food. I mean, response to emails and all. Y'all ain't shit, Mel. I'm listening to something.
Starting point is 02:13:31 We're listening. I'm getting so disrespectful. Mel, we bodying that shit. You give us such a long runway. You give us a long runway to get your shit off. It just takes a long time. Yeah. It takes like hours.
Starting point is 02:13:44 It's like the newer runway. You body that shit now. No, go ahead. Hold the question about how we feel. No, please, man. In terms of being forward-facing, responding to criticism, like, that's just... What do you think? That's why.
Starting point is 02:13:58 That's why I be laughing. That's why I be laughing. I don't want no smoke. That's what no she thinks. Now, what do you... Your back hurts today. That's why I got.... That's why I be laughing. I don't want no smoke, that's what no she think. Now, what do you, your back hurt today, that's why I got,
Starting point is 02:14:07 oh yeah, oh yeah. Yo ass, finally think of, that's why she, what do you think? As a black woman. I love Imani, son. I think your opinion is the most important, that's why I'm asking. Yeah, come on.
Starting point is 02:14:17 I want to contribute too. We need to hear from more room for the guys. Yeah, I want to contribute too, but I just want to know what you think. I have a thought, so think. I think that, I think she's absolutely think. I think that she's absolutely right. I think that there's a lot of times some- DC Black bitching.
Starting point is 02:14:30 No, I would never say that, but I would say that the majority of criticism that I have received over the course of my career has been from women. Hello, Buffy. Let me ask a question about that. Shut up. Oh, shit. Let me ask a question about that. That's totally different.
Starting point is 02:14:44 That's totally different. That's totally different. That's you, man. Stop it. We can go back to that. Oh, totally different. Watch your fucking. That's totally different. And we can go we can go back to that. It was totally different. Why are you talking to me? I didn't say because you looked at him like he was cooking right now with that fucking I didn't laugh neither nigga. He's about to laugh. I'm not just in case. That was your laugh. Niggas. Niggas. Niggas. Niggas. Niggas. Niggas. Niggas. Niggas.
Starting point is 02:15:06 Niggas. Niggas. Niggas. Niggas. Niggas. Niggas. Niggas. Niggas.
Starting point is 02:15:13 Niggas. Niggas. Niggas. Niggas. Niggas. Niggas. Niggas. Niggas.
Starting point is 02:15:20 Niggas. Niggas. Niggas. Niggas. Niggas. Niggas. Niggas. Niggas. Niggas. Niggas. Niggas. But I'm also wondering, I mean this is what I'll do, is it possible that white people just don't know who you are? I don't mean you, I mean like money or you, this is the audience.
Starting point is 02:15:34 Shut up Cory. No, that's not funny Cory. Are we really going to act like people don't know who she is? She's literally sat right here on one of the biggest platforms in the fucking world. That's not what I mean. Seriously. That's not what I mean. No, not even you.
Starting point is 02:15:49 I'm addressing the fucking room giggling up a storm like, is it possible people don't know who she is? If people didn't know who she is, Joe Budden would not have had her up on this fucking platform. Let's go, man. For sure. Fuck you're talking about. He's very choosy about who the fuck comes up here.
Starting point is 02:16:03 It's true. I'm just saying the primary base is black people. I don't let just anybody up here. Exactly. Don't squash with that nigga. Yeah, nigga. So like, for example, if Kanye West is up here. You had them people on your stream, nigga, fucking performing, nigga.
Starting point is 02:16:14 Mark will just sleep on his dream again. They caught your ass. You will not stay awake. What you want me to do? You want me to wake at night? You want me to wake at daytime? Yeah, brother Bob, sorry. No, I'm just saying, like, I'm sure Money Long is right to the extent that, like, we're hardest on each other and I'm sure she's gotten some unfair criticism, but I'm saying part
Starting point is 02:16:31 of the disproportionality of it might just be that the bulk of her base is black and probably black women. In the same way, your primary audience is going to be black people, right? Same for me. You know what I mean? So yeah, most of, you know, so there's certain criticism I'm going to get from certain kinds of people. It'll be like me saying, most of the people that criticize me are academics.
Starting point is 02:16:48 Well, yeah, because that's who I've been talking to. So I'm just wondering how much of it is that? Yeah, it's a numbers game. I'm just asking. Because I don't know enough about Money Long to know. I'm asking. Like, how much of it is that? You think?
Starting point is 02:16:59 ML, to your point, a lot of people outside of black people might know her music and not know it's her. It's possible, yeah. That's what I'm trying to say. She has certain songs that's like, oh I know that record, oh it's her? Oh I didn't know that. So she get a lot of that. Do you feel like there's any validity to the money long statement?
Starting point is 02:17:17 Probably, I don't know enough about it to have an opinion. No, I'm just talking about people in your field that look like you, dress like you. Oh yeah, as I said, we're the hardest-witted. Yeah, that's what we do. So what I'm saying is that, shouldn't the real question be how do we navigate through that?
Starting point is 02:17:29 How do you handle that? That should be the question instead. One of the things that I noticed was- Why are we so quick to criticize people who look like us? I mean, I think that's another- That is a very real question. And one of the things that I thought about her when she came up here is she was very no-nonsense.
Starting point is 02:17:45 Like she was very like, I'm her, and that's it. Like you can't tell me nothing about myself kind of thing. So she looked like the kind of person that would buck back at criticism. For me personally, I've always audited. Okay, I'm not doing this. No, I'm listening to you. No, no, no. I hate when you two do this.
Starting point is 02:18:06 You freaking fraud. I'm talking about that shit. Calling you out on your shit. It has nothing to do with you, man. I swear. This time Joe wasn't even listening to Flip. He was still trying to get... He was trying to get... I was trying to get the phone from him, Mark. No, I know. You were trying to get the phone.
Starting point is 02:18:22 To order food! He was trying to do priority delivery. I want to order the Whed Cam LaMari. I want to order something. Go ahead, go ahead, man. I was just basically saying that she has a different stance on shit. She seems like I'm not going to take criticism. I'm not going to have people disparaging me on my fucking platform, and I'm going to come for you the same way you're coming for me.
Starting point is 02:18:42 That's not the way I personally would have handled it, because I've been conditioned by this industry to always be like, you know, perfect and poised and hide how I'm truly fucking feeling. But I felt the exact same way that she has felt. I'm like, yo, like I can't fucking win for losing. There was a moment when you- So why haven't you voiced that sooner?
Starting point is 02:19:01 Listen, what was it, two episodes ago, I basically said I had a whole kind of light bulb epiphany moment as to how much I edit and audit the things inside my head for years and years and years. You were sitting right where Mark was, and you were looking at me like I was a fucking science experiment. And I literally said that, that I am not going to do that
Starting point is 02:19:22 anymore because I'm sitting in who I am, and I'm just going to do that anymore because I'm just, I'm sitting in who I am and I'm just like gonna adopt a not give a fuck attitude that I never really had before. I acted like I had it but I didn't. So I always erred on the side of caution. And she's no longer filtering herself neither. She's expressing how she feels. Yeah, it feels better.
Starting point is 02:19:39 Which I appreciate. It feels better to express how you feel rather than feeling like you can't express yourself for fear of retribution or people canceling you or whatever the case is. Oh, she teeth niggas got a stromboli. Yo, stop! You know what? Order that for me, bitch.
Starting point is 02:19:57 Let's go, man, yes! You do always stromboli. I didn't bring my fucking lunch. I've had it with your shit. Order me the goddamn stromboli. Yo, why you press the order, nigga? Extra beef, bitch. Why you ordered it, nigga? He clicked the order, I wanted to put my order in, man.
Starting point is 02:20:12 I got to send it back. God damn it! When you just see a Stromboli on a menu. Alright, forget it. That was a big thing. Anyway, disrespect. It really wasn right, forget it. That was a big big thing Really wasn't but okay. Yeah Love did you have anything you wanted to add to this?
Starting point is 02:20:42 Or you don't have a mic I did but I think you said everything I wanted to say. You said everything, man. You wrapped it up, boss. You said it. You said it. Yo, what's the nigga from the Apollo? You said, man, it. Honestly, there's no way to fire, man.
Starting point is 02:21:00 If Mel leave this show an integral part, walk out that door with her. Man. I'm not going anywhere. Listen, I move out the way when I could tell Mel got a topic, cause somebody said something she wanted to say, but didn't say it.
Starting point is 02:21:18 Facts. When Mel got a topic, cause somebody said something that she wanted to say, and she could use them God clear them as like a battering ram not a bad more like a ventriloquist I like that girl lastly in music I
Starting point is 02:21:40 Seen the La rapper list The complex list. It's not my business. Okay. I saw Game reply. Mm-hmm. I saw him create a new list. What number was Game on that original list?
Starting point is 02:21:55 I want to say 11, I think. Wherever he was, he disagreed. He didn't care for that, yeah. And he put out a list. What I do like about his list is, their list I saw a 1 fifty his list was one to one Hundred I like that Like you know more LA rappers and complex or I included more niggas that yeah
Starting point is 02:22:15 Yeah, you so you get to it, so it's not you just highlighting you on games lists. What number where did he fall? He was number five He put himself as number five. Yeah, how do you guys feel about that? I'm not mad at him I gotta see who the four are respect is not putting yourself as number one. Pox, Snoop, Cube, Kendrick I have some criterion questions And the Complex List didn't have Paco on it. Yeah, cuz they didn't put Paco on the Complex List because he's not a LA rapper I mean in lots of ways Even West Coast rappers to me is more palatable, is more plausible
Starting point is 02:22:52 But that's the stretch. He moved in Marin County when he was 16 But we could say the same thing about people who grew up in Philly. We're from Philly, but we're from the West Coast corrupt, right? So I get it. But number five for me He would be higher on my list. Would he be? Yeah, he would have been three on my list, but four, I'm sorry, four on my list, but I wouldn't have had Pac, because I don't consider Pac a LA artist.
Starting point is 02:23:16 So I'm gonna give you the top 10. I'll give you complex, I'm just gonna do 10, and then I'll give you games. 10, Nipsey Hussle, this is complex list. Nine, EZE, eight, Be Real, seven, Ice T, six, DJ Quick, five, Tyler the Creator, four, Dr. Dre, three, Ice Cube, two, Snoop Dogg, one, Kendrick Lamar.
Starting point is 02:23:38 And then on games list, top 10 is Exhibit, EZE, Dr. Dre, DJ Quick, Corrupt, The Game, Kendrick Lamar, Ice Cube, Snoop Dogg, and Pac. Yeah, nah, that's enough for me. For one, I think Eazy-E is too high. I think Eazy-E is too high. Forget about the fact that he,
Starting point is 02:24:02 I'm not even talking about the fact that Ice Cube wrote everything, right, which is a big part of it for me and that's not like a That's not urban legend. It's just a fact. That's a fact It's just a fact easy had a best easy had a greatest flow or delivery certainly to me not enough to be above exhibit not To be above Nipsey not to be above j rock. Let me go school book I mean, there's a bit this probably 30 people I put in front of easy as a Rapper and I give him some credit because of the time and the era and what he meant to that era.
Starting point is 02:24:27 Yeah, that's a lot of credit. That's a lot, go there. But he didn't write it and he didn't deliver it well. Dr. Dre. I think Dre's too high for the same reason. We going, I don't like the- Although Dre was a lot better rapper than Eazy-E. Who wrote and who didn't write?
Starting point is 02:24:39 To say Eazy-E didn't deliver it well was like last minute stuff. Yeah, it's kind of- Am I wrong? Yeah. You think Eazy-E flow float on beat, for example? Go back and listen to Easy E's music. Go back and listen to it.
Starting point is 02:24:49 Listen, Easy is one of my personal favorite crappers. Easy rap does beat a lot. Yeah, but it sounded good though. I don't think he's terrible, I just think there's a lot of people better. You know what I mean? He wouldn't be, I don't think there's only eight people in the world who rap like that.
Starting point is 02:25:03 Go listen to Straight Outta Compton and all that. He was in the hood, all that shit. Aw, shit, here come the motherfucking cops. Nothing about that was off-put to me. Like, the verses I know him from in 90, 91, 92, when my older brother was doing it, NWA, what he was saying on those joints, I think his voice is too instrumental to hip-hop as a straight out of Compton another brother that a smother your mother
Starting point is 02:25:27 his participation on that album alone I can't shit on him I think what you saying is like in hindsight in hindsight we could say that voice and the flow and all but in it's time he was shit nigga and again I'm minding my business I'm not telling LA people how to feel about no LA people. I know my list would go differently. My list would go different. Cause when they do these lists, that complex list said LA's best rappers. So I guess it's impossible today for people to put names
Starting point is 02:25:58 on a best rapper list without mentioning your accolades and how much you achieved in rap music. Yeah, right. True. Yeah, yeah true. I see for me, I don't always do that. As far as rap goes. As far as rap. Rap ability when you do the, when you talk about best rappers.
Starting point is 02:26:13 My list be more so the, you have ears. Yeah, Razzkaz and yeah. And I wanna steal, I'm glad you said that. Razzkaz and Razzkaz is up that list bro. I wanna steal that from the athletes. The athlete podcast today, when they mention players and how great they were, they go to what version of them they're talking about,
Starting point is 02:26:32 and I think that should happen more in hip hop. Like when they talk about Dwight Howard, it's like 2012 Dwight Howard. In hip hop, like you say Razzcast, solo and Ice Razzcast, you're not naming 20 West Coast rappers. They're crying out today, solo and Ice Razzcast, Solo Nights Razzcast, you're not naming 20 West Coast rappers. You can't name a bunch of niggas. You're not naming exactly a bunch of niggas. You're not naming 20 West Coast rappers that rap better than Crook.
Starting point is 02:26:52 Facts. Agreed again. You're not naming them. I don't care whose list. You're not naming 20 rappers. Corrupt is on that list for me. Yes. For sure.
Starting point is 02:27:01 It still sounds good. Yes. Like Corrupt was something different back then. Def Certificate, Ice Cube, shit. And um. Ice Cube. Predator and Def Certificate and American. Yes for sure and still sounds good. Yes, uh like corrupt was something different back death certificate ice cube Yeah, no ice cube predator and that's typically and America Should be solidified regardless yeah ice cube in the one for me ice cube, but then top I think criteria comes in a play right
Starting point is 02:27:20 I think criteria has to come into play because when you start talking about Snoop and what Snoop meant to hip-hop And I can only imagine what he meant to West Coast California hip-hop then Ice Cube to me raps better than Snoop But that don't still mean Ice Cube would be higher on the list Ice Cube raps better than Snoop Ice Cube has a better discography than Snoop Ice Cube Ice Cube has a better discography than Snoop. Ice Cube, but Snoop's still... And then Flutter markers. Ah, ah.
Starting point is 02:27:45 Yeah, he does. Yes, he does. I don't know that. Yes, he does. He does. He does his own personally. Yes, personally. Personal.
Starting point is 02:27:52 Percentage-wise, but I don't know about... Overall. Overall. Yes, he does. I mean, if you take Ice Cube's three biggest albums, right? I love Ice Cube. And then you take Snoop's three biggest albums. What are Snoop's three biggest albums?
Starting point is 02:28:01 Well, we gotta go Doggy Style. Doggy Style. Name me other ones. We gotta go... We gotta go the one with..., the one with the other. You don't know the name. That's my point. Damn it, Moe.
Starting point is 02:28:08 We drop it like it's hot on it. Really, me gangsta? Yeah. We got to go there, and then we got to go, what would the third one be? See? That's my point, though. We can go Ice Cube.
Starting point is 02:28:17 If I had to go on it, then Murder was the case. Murder was the case. Discography. It's not an album. That was just a soundtrack to the movie. It's not his. Discography, by the way. Murder was the case is a song on Doggie Steps.
Starting point is 02:28:25 Discography singles too. Discography includes singles too, and features. If you go to someone's discography, it doesn't just show their albums. It shows all of their materials. That's where Snoop catches up, I think, and actually passes. He doesn't.
Starting point is 02:28:36 He passes them. He doesn't. Because you looking for Snoop on the crowd. He doesn't, because now you got to bring NWA into this argument. So you mix NWA and OUTSCube in this argument, he's going to lead Snoop by a mile. I'm sorry. I don't have to disagree with that. What the hell, you're a fucker. You gotta bring NWA into this argument. So you mix NWA and I was Cuban this argument. He's My mile
Starting point is 02:28:51 I don't think I don't disagree. I just don't know if it's true I'm saying I think Snoop is bigger on the list based on his impact in hip-hop and West Coast hip-hop Yeah, but I have but if we talk about ice cube as a rapper, bro Ice cube is one of them and he don't get the credit There was a time ice cube was considered one of the top two or three great rappers ever ever in the world at one point I'm gonna fuck it. All right, you'll Case Place uptown. Work on the sidewalk, while I'm street talking, then talk to old New York. I go to Queens with Queens to get the flu from Brooklyn.
Starting point is 02:29:30 That money in Manhattan had never been tooken. Go uptown in a Bronx, I will be down with Strong on the aisle in the coupe and lay around. I thought you was about to spit a freestyle when the beat drop. You got instrumental? It can't rap over that tempo. Give me something better. Give me an instrumental for him. Snoop Dogg is the West Coast version of Busta Rhymes.
Starting point is 02:29:49 Yeah, I see that. I'm not mad at that. I'm not mad at that at all. In that. Busta ain't got no Doggy Style, though. But Kari Lovato. That's true. No.
Starting point is 02:29:57 No, he don't. He don't have a Doggy Style. He don't. He don't even go out. He don't. I agree. He don't have a Doggy Style. But I think both of them, I agree. He don't know but I think
Starting point is 02:30:05 Both of them I think most best rapper lists are made without either one of them in the top 15 When it comes to rapping. Oh, yeah Yeah I would agree like they both have accomplished and as far as songs and features and they did all of that shit But when people are putting these lists together, I think niggas misplaced snoop the way they misplaced buster Ryan I don't hear that happen with ice cube. I Never hear that happen with ice cube when niggas name a top 10 top 15 ice cube named both coasts And the second is in that my second is not up there. Like you said both coasts somebody saying yo, where's ice?
Starting point is 02:30:39 Where's ice? Yeah, I agree down south Nick. Yo, where's ice cube East Coast? Where's ice cube? So that's why I said I don't know what the criteria was. I don't know what the criteria was But it's not a bunch of niggas that you could just say flat-out can rap better than ice cube, but I don't want I personally exclude Dre and to Mark's point easy just cuz it's like the rapper. Did you write your rhymes thing personally country? point easy just because it's like the rapper did you write your rhymes thing personally gotcha yeah if we count that out then Dre has to be somewhere in that top something what top what though top ten somewhere the top I mean just just from the chronic alone I mean you gotta be in a conversation wrote 100% his
Starting point is 02:31:19 rhymes no he had other people he said oh I'm still sure I don't know I don't know snoop is never in snoop has talked about people. No, he's talked about people writing He took about J right. He even came on some shit fan. Oh, you're definitely J No, but snoop snoop when his most recent album he did interview he said interviews with me where he said I asked somebody write A mouth for me. He's he's told me that person only interview so I can it's not right. He's document It's Anna. Yeah, but but that's new shit. He didn't do that in his prime. I mean, it's not writing. He's documenting Santa. But that's new shit, he didn't do that in his prime. I mean, he's 50 now, yeah. I think a lot of rappers at 50, 55 say,
Starting point is 02:31:48 you know what, I'm cool just making music now. In his prime, to my knowledge, Snoop did write all his rhymes. Listen, I won't say nothing bad about none of the people we're talking about. No, they all great. They all legends and goats. No, they all legends. And again, I think that's LA business.
Starting point is 02:32:00 I wouldn't want LA niggas chiming in, talking about a New York list. Even though Wack 100 and a few niggas jumped out there talking about Game is better than Jadakiss. I guess when they were doing their equivalency thing or trying to help people understand So then that conversation tried to take off for a minute I wrote it down just in case anybody here wanted to try to make a compelling argument that the game Is better than Jadakiss or should be ranked higher on all time rapper lists. I'll entertain it, I'll entertain it.
Starting point is 02:32:27 I think if we're talking about strictly like, if we get back to the technical rap shit, I would absolutely hear that argument. I think Jadakiss, as amazing as he is, rhymes fairly similar for the most part. What do we care? Game can rap a whole bunch of different styles and fast, slow tempo, doesn't really matter.
Starting point is 02:32:45 What about what's being said? They both got bars. They both got bars. I can understand the argument. I don't know that I would. Kiss would be higher on my list probably, but I don't think it's a bad argument. If somebody said the opposite, I wouldn't argue with him.
Starting point is 02:32:59 I wouldn't fight, that wouldn't be the hill I would die on. I think Game is an underrated rapper. Very much so. Game is really good at rapping. No, but he's highly underrated again based on we look outside more of a personality or a public figure Yeah, you know I'm saying like more so than yo This nigga can really really rap and it became this thing to say he name-drops all the time all the verses which I always Thought was unfair criticism one all rappers have their own ticks and their own things, but I think there's dope I think it's a dope style thing. I mean, it'd be like saying push all you talk
Starting point is 02:33:26 about drugs every so I mean, like, people do things and I don't think that that's a problem. But I hear a lot and we were we used to write a lot about him. We would became a thing for music journalists to say all the time as if that was like a demerit against Yeah, and I'm like, that's how he raps. See, I think they both are great rappers. I think we're game edges. Jadakiss is Game can make an album. His songs. No, an album. That's what I'm saying. That's not a bad.
Starting point is 02:33:48 Jadakiss, as much as I love Kiss, Kiss is a great 16 bar rapper. He will give you amazing verses, but when it comes down to making an actual album top to bottom, he don't have it. Now, 50 would step in and say, neither this game. That's not true. You could take documentary off the table.
Starting point is 02:34:08 He still has other great, great, not good. Ice is right. His third album is great. You right, you right, you right. His third album is really great. Jesus Piece, amazing album. I love Jesus Piece. That's a really good album.
Starting point is 02:34:19 LAX, amazing album. Doctors Advocate, amazing album. Documentary 2 is great. Doc 2. Especially when you put them both together, 2 and 2.5. Game can do that over and over and over again. So you have Game as a better MC on the list anyway, than Jadakiss.
Starting point is 02:34:33 The overall, yes, I would have him. But if we just talking about lyrics, lyrics, because Jadakiss got more classic verses. Right when I was about to say that I wouldn't even dignify a conversation with anybody that has GameRank higher than Jadakiss, you're my friend so when I was about to say that I wouldn't even dignify a conversation with anybody that has game rank higher than Jadakiss, you're my friend so I'll do it. I'm just saying overall.
Starting point is 02:34:49 Like I said, when we talk about it, I do sliders. I agree with, who's y'all, I'm not saying that. You so raspy, you can't talk. I'm with ya. He made another good point. What did he say, what did he say? I can't hear him. Imani was signed to so raspy, Jadakiss' label. And still is. And it's still there for lifetime.
Starting point is 02:35:09 My boy like that 10 album deal. Ice. I got that perpetuity. Ice, I agree with you. Game makes a better album than Jadakiss. I won't argue with it. Okay. I want to but I won't. What would be your argument? I mean, if you took, so there's an argument to have that Jadakiss makes better albums than Gang. I don't think that Jadakiss' first album is as bad as people say it is. His albums aren't bad.
Starting point is 02:35:33 I want to be clear. I don't like that narrative. But he has never a classic album. He might not have the- All right, but I don't think even that's the knock that bands have made it to be. Yeah, I don't care about that. I think it's tough to make a good album,
Starting point is 02:35:45 and Jadakiss to me has good albums. I agree. Now, I may like a game album more, but when we talking about impact, like you said, versus over the span of your career, Jadakiss comes out more impactful than all of the games albums put together. See, I'm calling just solo, because again, a lot of the Jadakiss comes out more impactful than all of the games albums put together See I'm calling just solo because again a lot of the Jadakiss stuff once we do that if we just say rapping It's you got to count the lock shit in there. You got to count a lot of that
Starting point is 02:36:13 I'm talking about just solo Jadakiss everything you've done solo game everything you've done. I Could see the argument Where gang would be and there might be one spot It ain't like it's leaps and bounds. They're definitely on the same level. They're close. They're not anywhere near on the same level. They'd be on the same tier of the list. I'm saying they're on the same tier of the list.
Starting point is 02:36:34 They're not on the same tier of the list. Really? Jadakiss is a top 25 MC no matter who you talk to. Game is a top 50 MC. And I think that's too low ranking. Yeah, I don't. I think if you got him, he ain't top 50 to me And I think that's too low ranking. Yeah, I don't. I think if you got him, he ain't top 50 to me.
Starting point is 02:36:47 All right, where is he? Right, I can say him and Kiss are right there. So if you get- Where would you have him? If Jayden Kiss, if you got Kiss as top 25, I got Kiss. No, no, no, no. Fuck where I got Kiss. Where would you have him at? I would have to really sit down and do this list. You know, we talk about this a lot.
Starting point is 02:37:01 It's hard to do these lists. See, I'm talking to somebody that's done this list a million times. It's going to be tough for you to put Game higher than 35 on an all-time list. But most people would have Jadakiss top 25 all time. He'd be to the bottom of my top 25.
Starting point is 02:37:19 So I mean, I guess if what I'm saying, then you're right, a 10-slot difference. That's what I'm saying. Maybe it's not the biggest difference. That's what I'm saying. Game is 56. 10 slot difference. That's what I'm saying. That's what I'm saying. Maybe 56 Yeah, no, it's not it's not that far See, I think 10 slots is enough Jay the kids that way it slots to huh
Starting point is 02:37:34 They're weighted slots to like the NFL draft or something like yeah, yo I think there's a lot of people that could be in the 30s There's a lot not a lot of people could be in 20s and 10s And I think this is important once you itemize the criteria that you're picking the list from, that matters. So if you go into ISIS criteria to say, yo, the albums that you put out over the tenure of your career, game moves up that list. Yeah, sure. I don't like albums. When we start talking greatest of all time.
Starting point is 02:38:06 If you watch the Jadakiss verses, you don't think none about a gay man at all. And that's the thing with using the album as a higher weight in the discography. I know, but let me finish what I thought. When you hold the album in a higher regard than singles or verses, it's not realistic. Because if you're doing a show or you're doing a battle,
Starting point is 02:38:28 all that album shit don't really matter if I got 20 absolute fucking bangers. Yeah, part of the thing, game came in, hold on, game came in, didn't have no crew. So he had to adopt a crew. And then we got Solo Game and whatever G-U-N-S-H came. When we are kids, we gonna make it Ain't a Lock Song. Fucking Nickerson started something Ain't a Lock Song.
Starting point is 02:38:49 When he started just popping up on all of these different artists joining, Benjamin's Ain't a Lock Song, like, it's classic records that he was able to hop on because of his affiliations that they stand the test of time. We gonna make it as a Kiss song. Okay, Ain't a Lock on. I'm just saying taking the locks out of it he popped up in enough places to where
Starting point is 02:39:10 all of these verses count. I did real songs with Big. No made up shit. That holds some weight. That holds weight. I'm not disagreeing. I'm just saying that. I think it's just... When you take 50 Cent out of the picture and I'm saying this with respect, game,
Starting point is 02:39:25 please leave me alone. Please, I don't want no trouble. But when you take 50 out the picture, give me the classic game moments. Songs? Or moments. Or moments. I, as a personal favorite, like,
Starting point is 02:39:41 I don't know my age, but that's me personally. Oh, you mean music. Oh yeah, I'm with you barking out. When you do dude up. Yeah. Out of my head. But that's me personally. Oh you mean music. Oh yeah, I'm with you. I'm with you barking out. When you do that. By the bushes. We'll do that and narrate it and record it. Musical moments.
Starting point is 02:39:52 I think, I think. Like Kisses on Usher throwback. Yeah. That's, that's. When Juel said you ain't got joints for the girls, we now had a whole. A whole. They pot, yeah.
Starting point is 02:40:03 But that's what I'm saying. So. Mariah, honey. Yeah. That was crazy. That pot yeah outside of the documentary what are the classic game music moments it's his albums so they honor his albums I'm saying but even those in that regard even albums we talk about the red album I love I think it's a phenomenal album ain't nobody talking about that album true But but what's this other one documentary two love that album I think game makes better albums than a lot of people but ain't nobody talking about these albums And I think a lot of Smoke Joe what you're saying could come away, what you're saying could come off that way. Why all you niggas?
Starting point is 02:40:45 Could come off that way, and that could be true because of where we are. You say nobody talking about them albums. That's true. Out there, they could be talking about them albums. And we just don't know. And we don't know because we not there. And I would need to ask them out there,
Starting point is 02:40:56 I didn't mean to say nobody's talking about it, because I'll play one of them shit. I play them shit. I play them shit regularly. I'm saying what are the classic moments, and if they know it out there, then they'll text me and tell me. That's possible.
Starting point is 02:41:06 Same way them niggas text me to tell me Joey Badass won but they won't publicly say it. And West Coast niggas ain't dumb. They're just logical killer niggas over there. Like they'll talk to you. Before they kill you. Yeah you're right. Anyway, not gonna kill you. That's okay. That's for real. Yeah, you right, bow. Yeah. Anyway, not to be circular. Now I'm done with music. I'm absolutely done with music, I'm sorry.
Starting point is 02:41:31 Yeah, yeah, yeah. I've been saying that. There is no more music for me. We need a little more music, Joe. I haven't heard another one Bites the Dust today. Who? Joe knows. Who bit the dust?
Starting point is 02:41:44 I was talking with Ian Schwartzman at six in the morning about this very topic right here. Mark Maron is ending. Who's that now? His podcast, one of the more. You don't know Mark Maron? I don't know Mark. No.
Starting point is 02:41:59 Okay, fine. He's a big name for people in the podcast. Does anybody here know Mark Maron? Podcasting business. No. You all know Mark Maron? What. Y'all know Mark Maron? What's the name of his show? WTF.
Starting point is 02:42:07 It's big among podcasters. Six and a half million. Fuck you up, Mark. I'll fuck you up, yo. I know Mark Maron. I never watched his podcast. We're in the business. Never heard of him.
Starting point is 02:42:22 You know what I mean. You got it, big man. Six and a half million listeners, so it's a pretty big one. And one of the longest running. Oh, shit. He's from Jersey City. I see where... 16 years.
Starting point is 02:42:33 Yeah, he's a beast. Mark Maron is a comedian and writer and... I'm aware of his comedic career. I just didn't... I never watched his podcast. Oh, so you know who he is. I know who he is. Now that I look at his picture, no disrespect, Mark.
Starting point is 02:42:42 But he is from Jersey City. Okay. Nobody's perfect. Nobody's not gonna look at his picture, no disrespect Mark. But he is from Georgia City. Okay. Nobody's perfect, nobody's perfect. But, yeah Joe, it seems like you got a lot of music smoked for the black podcast that goes down. Yeah, yeah. But the white man pop up with his.
Starting point is 02:42:57 Yeah, that is absolutely disgusting. And now you ain't got no music. Oh that's the white man now, that's him right now. Yeah, it OG. Oh no, yeah no my mom is on a cruise so I got to make sure she's not drowning. Oh wait hold up, cuz she numb. If somebody knows Tuesday is her. Mark that was really disgusting. My hello. She pocketed out. I don't even know bubbles. So stop it. Yo, sometimes when people butt down, when people butt down me, I still listen to make
Starting point is 02:43:38 sure they not be a murder. No, no, I'll listen. Well, they might be on to some other shit. They were fucking. Yeah. Mark Maron, I didn't feel like I should play another one by St. Dust for because he's a legend and an innovator and I don't think he got ended. I think this is him choosing.
Starting point is 02:43:57 He said, like Questlove. He said we're burnt out. This is his quote, we have put up a new show every Monday and Thursday for almost 16 years and we're tired. We're burnt out and we are utterly satisfied with the work we've done. So Questlove, who's a legend and an innovator who ended his show we played the music for. Mm-hmm. Do we retract that? Not as long-running.
Starting point is 02:44:15 No, no, but your premise was if you're a legend and an innovator and you didn't you ended it on your own terms. Innovator long-running. I mean, I know you got the scholars on. Wee sick boss. if Innovator means something different No no no, just sound like we sick. We sick. What's the matter boss? Tap dance?
Starting point is 02:44:36 Showtime! Hey Chuck! What's up John? You're John Turkey! Oh man. Look at the fuck out of his. Hey, Sean! What's up, John? You're John Turkey. Hee-haw! The fuck outta here. There we go. That mean we... Yo, just to show you the power of peer pressure, right?
Starting point is 02:44:56 Yeah! What if I had a gig lined up with Marker or a check coming soon? Now I gotta play this song. Look! Get the cork out, nigga. It's fine. coming soon now I gotta play this song don't you feel better now no little bit hurts this hurts a little bit but you're right if we played it for quest love yeah sorry mark then mark man can get it too and I mean I didn't listen to the vibe. But it's Mark Maron.
Starting point is 02:45:29 I love Mark Maron. I absolutely love Mark Maron. But can't change the rules up, because, you know, accountability system. It's kind of another gotcha moment, guess Tony, you know what I mean? We love those up here. For me it's like... We love those up here at the Joe Button Park, yeah. I like doing another one bites the dust with people above us or on our same level.
Starting point is 02:45:55 Not people below us. I'm down... That's when I love it. I got... This is my favorite time to do it. Punching down is so much easier. I don't know, it just means more people... That's my favorite time to do it. Punch it down. It's so much easier. I know. It just means more people. You gotta chill though now, Colin Coward here handing out these checks.
Starting point is 02:46:13 Yeah. Yeah, you better shut your fucking ass up. Whitty. Anyway, what else is going on? What else is happening out there? Shout out to Mark Maron. Yeah. I have a real uncomfortable homophobic story in my phone,
Starting point is 02:46:30 but I don't know if we should get to that here because it's been good vibes. I mean, it's Pride Month. It is Pride Month. Yeah, it's true. I don't know if this is the story. This is like, it kind of goes against it, but at the same time, it's probably important to.
Starting point is 02:46:44 Because Pride Month, we're celebrating LGBTQIA. But I think it's also important to highlight bad shit that happens to let people know that it's still not great for everybody. Fair. And that's how we're celebrating, you know what I mean? Fair, take it away, Joe. Well, this story was so disturbing.
Starting point is 02:47:02 This story was absolutely, let's see here. Do do do do do do. Look at my co-host helping me out. Do do do do do do. Do. Do. Okay, so I want to read this. This is from Tristan, the surviving husband
Starting point is 02:47:20 of Jonathan Joss who played John Brackhorn on King of the Hill. Okay. And he was murdered. So I'm going to read this because this is how I first learned of it. This says, my husband, Jonathan Joss and I were involved in a shooting while checking the mail,
Starting point is 02:47:40 while checking the mail at the site of our former home. That home was burned down after over two years of threats from people in the area who repeatedly told us they would set it on fire. We reported these threats to law enforcement multiple times and nothing was done. Throughout that time, we were harassed regularly by individuals who made it clear
Starting point is 02:48:02 they did not accept our relationship. Much of the harassment was openly homophobic. When we returned to the site to check our mail, we discovered the skull of one of our dogs and its harness placed in clear view. This caused both of us severe emotional distress. We began yelling and crying in response to the pain of what we saw. While we were doing this, a man approached us. He started yelling violent, homophobic slurs at us. He then raised a gun from his lap and fired. Jonathan and I had no weapons. We were not threatening anyone.
Starting point is 02:48:42 We were grieving. We were standing side by side. When the man fired, Jonathan pushed me out of the way. He saved my life. Jonathan is my husband. He gave me more love in our time together than most people ever get. We were newlyweds. We picked Valentine's Day.
Starting point is 02:49:02 We were in process of looking for a trailer and planning our future. He was murdered by someone who could not stand the sight of two men loving each other. I was with him when he passed. I told him how much he was loved. To everyone who supported him, his fans, his friends, know that he valued you deeply. He saw you as family.
Starting point is 02:49:23 My focus now is on protecting Jonathan's legacy and honoring the life we built together. If your concern is how someone coped with trauma or how loudly they speak when recounting injustice or being ignored by authorities, then you never truly cared about my husband. Jonathan saved my life. I will carry that forward.
Starting point is 02:49:44 I will protect what he built Well sign Tristan Kern D. Gonzalez Jesus Whatever your sexual preference is. I don't know how you could not feel that yeah There's nothing to say Disgusting some while shit and it's a reminder that this stuff still happens. Where was this? Texas I believe. I'm looking this, yes, in the San Antonio area.
Starting point is 02:50:09 Wow. Could you imagine that? No, no, no. I can't imagine that somebody killing my dog, putting a dog skull in the leash in your mailbox. That's a sick person. And then killing my husband as we're grieving because we found our dog's skull in the mailbox.
Starting point is 02:50:26 So somebody did that and just squatted and waited for y'all to come discover. That's a level of sick that I can't even comprehend. Did they catch that person? Did they make any arrests? I just read this this morning. I don't know. Did they arrest somebody?
Starting point is 02:50:39 Yeah, they did. Thank god. I think they arrested, but they said that it wasn't a hate crime? Yeah, that's bullshit. It's still first-degree murder Yeah, if you have a dog in there you waited for the motherfuckers to come do that you plot and planned that and I think they Burned the house down. I'm not positive. That's what they said. It was insinuated in that in that letter So the suspected shooter his name is sig Fredo Alvarez Seja,
Starting point is 02:51:09 I believe, forgive mispronouncing him, but yeah, that's him. They got a mugshot of him up and whatnot. You crying, man? That is fucking horrible. Yeah, yeah, no, no, yeah. And that statement is just, it's heartbreaking. I got it. No, it is.
Starting point is 02:51:23 And it's just like, he just said, like, we're newlyweds, so it's like, you think that you're going to spend the rest, like, how, it takes so long to find your person. You find your person, and then not only do they die, they're murdered in front of you, and literally all you can do is say goodbye. Well, no, they push me out, they push you out. And in the course of that, they say, Jesus Christ. While we're grieving, I don't.
Starting point is 02:51:44 And for nothing. For nothing. I ain't do And in the course of that, they say that. While we're grieving, I don't. Jesus Christ. And for nothing. Yeah, we didn't do nothing. I ain't do nothing in the world. You're mourning your dog, now you're about to mourn your hut. And they did what anybody would do. Oh, this neighborhood ain't it for us. We're out.
Starting point is 02:51:56 We don't like to get a body. Exactly. I think I went somewhere that it was his family's house. They built it, like his dad built the house for his family or some shit. So like, it's generational that they were in this neighborhood. And my fuckers just forced you out.
Starting point is 02:52:10 Right. That's crazy. Mm. And that's one of the reasons there's certain places I just can never move. Word. Yeah. I just can never move.
Starting point is 02:52:19 For a tax break. Y'all got lack of humanity like that. Mm-hmm, word. You don't even know me and you just smoke, you smoking me at the mailbox, nigga? The bigger issue, he said that. Why did he show up? No, no, no.
Starting point is 02:52:30 The threats that they got, they reported to law enforcement there multiple times and nothing was done about it. So it's like everybody's just, oh yeah, it's what we do out here, go ahead. That's what they do out there. Yeah, and I know money doesn't bring people back, but I hope a huge civil suit comes on that department everybody who ignored everybody the complaints the the reports all of that stuff
Starting point is 02:52:50 Man, like that whole police department is guilty in that person's death and whoever else didn't listen. I know and I Ain't saying it's gonna happen, but I hope it does that's the problem that whole Yeah, something needs to happen and there should be a federal investigation too. This is crazy. I agree. This is awful And that should be a hate crime. Yeah, yeah should yeah, I'm not necessarily rocking with the we didn't find a crime Yeah, that's the textbook definition of a crime to me I don't give fuck about what they charge them with as long as the motherfucker get convicted for the longest amount of time possible You know I'm saying cuz the the first degree murder might carry more weight
Starting point is 02:53:26 than the hate crime. I don't know. I think we need some outstanding. What if the hate crime gets added on to the, yeah. Oh, so that'll just be another additional charge. Yeah, like you get 30 if it's this, 40 if it's this. Gotcha, gotcha. I don't always love the hate crime thing,
Starting point is 02:53:37 but this is... Blatant. Yeah. Yeah. It makes, oh yeah. I got you guys. Easy to just live in your own world and be ignorant to the things other people are faced with. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 02:54:11 You do some sucker shit like that during fucking pride month to send some type of sick message. I don't get what month it is, dog. That shit don't matter. I don't think so. I agree with y'all, but you didn't do it last month and you didn't do it the month before. It leads people to believe that because it's pride month. You don't know how long that motherfucking skull been in the mailbox. Or how often they check the mail. You right.
Starting point is 02:54:29 You right. Rest in peace to that man, man. You might as well keep this rolling. I got more bad news for you. I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, Nope. You being sent- sent- sent- Loop it, loop it. This is from Shades. It's on the ESPN app. I'm saying a tweet. Hold up, Parks. Hold up. You are- Yeeees. This is on the ESPN app. Told y'all, this gonna be great, that mothafucka.
Starting point is 02:55:20 Parks mad thirsty to tell us to relax. We gonna get to you. We'll get to whatever you say. What is happening right now? I'm excited. I'm excited. Well you know I'm playing the bounce version of Outstanding. How about you find that New Orleans
Starting point is 02:55:32 bounce shit, then. You know I'm playing the New Orleans bounce version of Outstanding now. Yeah, I'm the one, yeah. All the other bitch, I'm gonna throw up the whole place. I'm out of this game. I'm looking at the streets. I'm not gonna lie, I was at a cookout Memorial Day weekend and they played Outstanding. And Rhyme was like, man, it's kinda fucked up this song. Makes me think of someone died now.
Starting point is 02:55:55 I was like, damn, I didn't really think about that. Listen, what are you telling me right now about the Knicks? Tibbs is out, man. He's fired. You're being sentel. I'm not being sentel. Is that really true? That can't be true.
Starting point is 02:56:09 This is real dog. This is from the ESPN app. CBS Sports, every word they are reporting. And he's going, I told you he's going to be going man. Trash. I think that's a bad decision. It's a horrible decision. You saying that is a sick affair, you trying to be funny.
Starting point is 02:56:17 No I'm not even being funny, I told you, I think the play is for Mike Malone, I'm telling you. New Yorker, let's go. Yeah I think that think the players for Mike Malone. I'm telling you New Yorker the story let's go. Yeah, I think that's why I don't Tom Timidoo is absolutely crazy to discuss it is Yes, I've seen worse. There's something that we don't know that I don't think so No, I think it's just something that bad organizations do as a Dolphins fan and Nick's fan. I can speak to Nobody had the Knicks going to the conference final. Nobody.
Starting point is 02:56:46 Yeah. Nobody had it goes. Once you go. And not only that, nobody had beaten Indiana more than once. The whole season. And they played pretty good. Except for the last game. In the playoffs.
Starting point is 02:56:59 Wow. Nobody beat Indiana more than one time. Yeah. The Bucs had one, the Cavs had one. I don't think the Cavs beat them. No, the Cavs won. The Cavs beat them? They won game three.
Starting point is 02:57:11 Oh, I was talking about, oh yeah, gotcha, gotcha, gotcha. I'm talking about the playoffs. This is crazy to me. That's Jalen Brunson's godfather damn near. And, dog, even when you start talking about Indiana beating them, those games weren't blowout games. The Knicks were in one of them.
Starting point is 02:57:29 The Knicks were in most of those games that they lost. Yeah, they were. There's a couple things I've heard. Two from a beat writer, one just from the scuttle. But two that I can rely on, and that is that there was some concern about Tibbs long-term wearing out the locker room, which is what they always say when they get rid of coaches, right? That he's losing the locker room.
Starting point is 02:57:49 I think there's credence to that, it's just too early. And I think he's an old school coach and these new school players don't necessarily adhere to what goes on. That's another one that we hear, but it's another one that's popular now. Nah, he's a defense first coach. But there's something very specific.
Starting point is 02:58:01 He's real hard-nosed, bro. He's hard-nosed. And it's also the rotations. People feel like he's too hard on the stars, too many minutes on the stars, and he had the same problem in Chicago, had the same problem. I mean's something very specific. He's real hard nose, bro. He's hard nose. And it's also the rotations. People feel like he's too hard on the stars, too many minutes on the stars, and he had the same problem in Chicago, had the same problem. I mean, everywhere he goes, that's something that trails him. He plays guys 42 minutes, should play 35.
Starting point is 02:58:13 And then when you get in the playoff time, one, they're worn out, and two, it makes the rotations very stuff. Everything that y'all are saying is absolutely true. I just have a hard time treating somebody like that, but it's business, I guess. The headline from CBS Sports says, Tom Thibodeau resurrected the Knicks, but firing him might be the only way to get to the next level. I disagree with that. It might be a Raptor situation. Remember, if Dwayne Casey goes, Nick Nurse comes next year, they win the championship. I didn't agree with that. Dwayne Casey was coaching the year there.
Starting point is 02:58:40 David Blatt, you end up with Tyron Luke, Cavs win the championship. Mark Jackson, Steve Kerr, it happens. I think that these, again as a Dolphins fan I see they're trying to fire Mike McDaniel. The fans in the press are trying to fire Mike McDaniel. I think it's stupid like this guys are delivering winning seasons for the first time in 20 years. Y'all ain't been shit for decades. Just because they didn't do exactly what you wanted. Yeah I don't even feel like the Knicks should have to cache the moves like that right now. But now's the time. You got who they perceive to be a better coach on the Yes. Yeah, I don't even feel like the Knicks should have the cachet and move like that right now. I don't think so. But now's the time. You got who they perceive to be a better coach
Starting point is 02:59:07 on the market, and I do believe he's gonna be the next coach. And you gotta do it now. If you wait till next year. I would love Mike Malone. Yeah. I just don't like firing Tom Thibodeau, who came here.
Starting point is 02:59:19 Why would you love Mike Malone? I like Mike Malone's coach. New Yorker. Let me ask you a question. I like Mike Malone's coach. If you knew that Mike Malone, If Mike Malone were to coach, you'd still be playing basketball right now. Would you feel differently about firing Thibodeau?
Starting point is 02:59:29 Say that again. If you knew that if they had Mike Malone instead of Tom Thibodeau, the Knicks would still be playing basketball right now, would you feel differently about firing him? Would you be able to get over it more? Yes. Huh? I think that's not uncritical.
Starting point is 02:59:41 I don't think you guys win this series no matter who's coaching this, but in general, I think there's people in the Knicks brass who believe that part. See, I think the Knicks should have won this series. That's what they said. What the fuck they're gonna win this series. The Knicks should have, I'm just trying to picture this from the Knicks brass.
Starting point is 02:59:58 The Knicks should have won game one. Like I said last part, you lose game two. Then you'll go back, you'll win game three, you'll lose game two Then you'll go back you'll win game three You lose game four you go back home You win game five you lose game six the thinking is you come back home and win it in seven, right? It the cards didn't fall that way. I'm not so mad because we beat Boston like that Boston exactly Boston lay the egg at home for two games. It's the playoffs the lights of rice shit happens Yo, yeah, but to fire a coach that that that They lay the egg. They lay the egg at home for two games. It's the playoffs, the lights are bright. Shit happens, yo.
Starting point is 03:00:25 But to fire a coach that, yeah, I'm against that. Yo fam, I'm against this. I'ma say this, right? And I said Boston's coach, I would've fired quicker than I would've fired Tom Tibbetter. Mike, no. Yes.
Starting point is 03:00:41 Mike Malone can make Cat play defense? Now hold on, let me finish, let me finish, let me finish. The things that Boston or Jalen suffered were coachable things The shit that the Knicks suffered some of those were player mistakes down the stretch that Tom Thibodeau He did had nothing to do with right now. Yo the boss the Boston shit fam y'all up 20 Y'all up 20 game one Your team starts jacking threes. Okay, cool, you lose.
Starting point is 03:01:07 Game two comes. But that's on coaching. That is on coaching. That is on coaching. Yeah, I'm agreeing with you. Even the fact that when they push it in the middle of their comeback, y'all don't call a timeout.
Starting point is 03:01:15 The coach is supposed to say, hey, if y'all gonna let them score, then let them score twos. Yeah, no, no, no, no, no, listen, listen. Cool, let's say the coach, we gonna forgive you for that one The very next game y'all up 20 and a third again Guess what you do mental breakdown and you let your team start shooting nothing but threes again
Starting point is 03:01:36 They're going to 23 to 2 run. You don't even fucking call a timeout, bro You just saw this in game one. You gonna let deja vu happen in game two? That's bad coaching and bad point guard language in my opinion. So the shit that Tom Thibodeau and them just experienced, that shit wasn't all about coaching. Some of that shit was fatigue, that's where the coaching part could come in. But a lot of that shit was bad shot selection by the team. Jason Brunson is a vacuum. Some of them niggas have better matchups that
Starting point is 03:02:06 day he wasn't getting them the ball like yo but that's the other coaching part no but it's just other that's the other thing I was hearing that I didn't get to is that there a lot of people feel like Brunson plays that way because his dad's on the coaching staff and his dad has kind of been assigned Jalen Brunson duty and that he needs to be separated from his father and you can't and that's why another reason why they want to get rid of that coaching staff. That's just what I've heard. There's some-
Starting point is 03:02:27 The coach has to go before we give rid our $50 million player, which to me is cat. So I guess I do understand it from that thinking. Someone's gotta give. Two, this move just tells you that they felt that they felt about Indiana like us fans felt. Yeah, like y'all couldn't beat, they can't beat y'all. There is no excuse for y'all to lose to the Indiana.
Starting point is 03:02:48 And I disagree. Yeah, but this is right. No, but there's some credence to that. You shouldn't have. There's a large group of people that felt like you could see him getting out coached by Carlisle. Carlisle's a really good coach. Carlisle's one of the top five coaches ever.
Starting point is 03:03:02 That has nothing to do with the fact that McHale Bridges told you halfway through the season and he's our Ironman, he is our Cal Ripken Jr., the league, basketball, I'm not talking about the Knicks. He has a middle school. Yeah, he said, hey, don't you think we playing a lot of minutes? That was your sign to incorporate some of these niggas
Starting point is 03:03:21 that you may have needed later, which is a Shammet, which is a Delon Wright. Even campaign, like see how these people operate in different lineups. He didn't do that, and now in real time, you're trying to figure it out in playoffs. So I see why they mad. I just didn't think it was such a fireball offense
Starting point is 03:03:36 from where he took us from. He took us from nothing, yo. You want me to read the list of the point guards of the Knicks for the last 30 years? We've read them, yeah. But the problem is, Thibodeau doesn't change. He does it everywhere, and there are people the list of the point guards of the Knicks for the last 30 years. We've read them. We've read them. But the problem is Thibodeau doesn't change. He does it everywhere.
Starting point is 03:03:47 And there are people who just feel like it's not going to get better. And you don't have a lot of cat room to maneuver. So you're not going to get, you likely won't get one additional player that's going to make you so much better. And something's got to give. And if the players don't believe in you, you may retreat. I'm just saying I understand why they would do it. Me too.
Starting point is 03:04:04 Especially when Mike Malone is on the table. The only reason I kinda like the move, I'd hate this move, but I like it because it lets you know that the organization is somewhat serious about the window that they have to win. About winning, about winning. Right, but that's nasty.
Starting point is 03:04:18 I don't feel good about that. It better be low. I think that's all right. If it's not Mike Malone, then you drop the ball. Then they're fucked. If Doc Rivers comes in. That's what I'm hoping for Great day in it. I think it's horrible. I think I'm good with oh I gotta get to the comment streets. I
Starting point is 03:04:39 Gotta get off this part. I got it. You know sometimes when I'm home I just like to read comments on your y'all fire, Timbs. Yeah, that's crazy to me. This article on CBS Sports is really, like, well written. It said, expectations are fluid in the NBA. Tom Thibodeau took over the New York Knicks team in 2020 that had just spent two decades wandering through the desert. At the time, achieving a baseline degree of competence was all the Knicks could ever ask out of a coach.
Starting point is 03:05:03 Oh, my God. Since he was hired for his first top job in 2011, he's the only person to win Coach of the Year without earning a top three seed. And it says five years ago, that's how low the bar was in New York. Getting the Knicks home court advantage in the first round series seemed borderline miraculous. Yo, the Knicks, thank you, Mel. This is crazy. I don't think Mike Malone's the answer. Mike Malone's the best coach available.
Starting point is 03:05:29 I don't know who else is available. Yeah, he's by far the best coach available. The Knicks ended the season record-wise as the fifth best team in the league. That just sounds crazy. They end their playoff run as the third, the third best. It's not a large. It's not a big discrepancy.
Starting point is 03:05:51 Y'all didn't fall off. Y'all are still ascending. Like what the fuck? Come on though. I understand why. I think we've grown up Mike Malone. Y'all know I love, I think the Joker and I think a lot of them people over there in Denver,
Starting point is 03:06:03 I think a lot of times coaches could there in Denver, I think a lot of times coaches could get, maximize their players, right? And then I think sometimes your players are just so good that they make the coach look good. Right. We saw that in Golden State. When Steve Kerr got hurt, fucking Luke Walton came in and went nuts and got a fucking LA Lakers coaching job off of the Golden State fucking offense.
Starting point is 03:06:25 So I don't think. There we saw Phil Jackson at the Knicks. Like yo dog, so I think this, I think that what Tom Thibodeau did, yeah you can learn from that. Let's have a stern conversation with him. I also think that we are exaggerating how deep some of these NBA teams go. A lot of coaches only play eight niggas, yo.
Starting point is 03:06:44 Most of the NBA teams coaches. But not in the regular season. Bro. That's not true. I want us to move off from this. But my fear is that Mike Malone does have a little bit of that Tom Thibodeau juice on him. I mean he's accused. He just got kicked out of his locker room. He's accused of losing his locker room. And three days before the season was over. The Knicks starters led the league by far in starters, minutes played. Second place, you guessed it, Denver. So I don't know that your problems are just solved
Starting point is 03:07:15 by bringing in Mike Malone. Unless Mike Malone's open to changing that. And I don't know if he is or he's not. At the time, Thibodeau consistently has not been on every team he's ever coached. I don't even like how they did that. Why not keep him on as some type of consultant? He's family to y'all.
Starting point is 03:07:27 Hold on, but that's interesting. The read that I got from Shams and from ESPN did not say he was fired, it said he was relieved of his duties as coach. That often, like that language is often used when they are gonna make you a consultant. Or promote you to president. Yeah, they said relieved of his duties as head coach.
Starting point is 03:07:41 They were very specific about that. Yeah, I just have a hard time believing that the Knicks as an organization would treat Tibbs like that as somebody that had been at the games all year. Like, Leon Rose, World Wide West, Rick Brunson, Jalen Brunson and Tibbs is a committee. Like, it's a squad. But if they're saying that they had to separate Brunson,
Starting point is 03:07:58 because a lot of times when the head coach get fired, the staff gets fired. Almost always. A lot of times. Well, they're not getting rid of Rick Brunson. Says who? Because you're not getting rid of Rick Brunton. Says who? Cause you're not getting rid of Jaylen Brunton.
Starting point is 03:08:06 You're not, stop. I'm not doing this. I'm not doing this. You gotta show me that. I'm not saying that they are. I'm just saying, nigga, Rick Brunton is contracted to be a coach. And if Mike Malone gets hired or another coach gets hired,
Starting point is 03:08:17 a lot of times they bring in their own assistant staff. They don't have to keep Rick Brunton. Now if Jaylen says this is a deal breaker for me. What are you gonna do, quit? Do what every other player does. Ask for a trade, be unhappy. You don't want to keep. Now, if Jalen says this is a deal breaker for me. What are you gonna do, quit? Do what every other player does. Ask for a trade, be unhappy. You don't want an unhappy player either. We already know who's unhappy.
Starting point is 03:08:30 Let me tell you something. The captain of your team who has the best contract in the NBA. He could change his. Oh true, he's a very player friendly contract. He could change his mind. No, he has the most player friendly contract. He could change his mind.
Starting point is 03:08:40 Or team friendly, I should say. He has the most team friendly contract. I'm sorry, I meant to say team friendly. He has the most team friendly contract. What I'm, I meant to say team friendly. Yeah, yeah, yeah. He has the most team friendly contract. What I'm saying is this, bro. He'll close us out. If y'all gonna talk about winning and the team is committed to winning,
Starting point is 03:08:52 then you can go get some motherfuckers for Jalen Brunson. No, you can't really, because of his contract. Because of the money. The money thing. Yo, give me Greek free. There's nobody. Give me such and such. Give me such and such.
Starting point is 03:09:04 I'll take him down in Philadelphia. On behalf of Philadelphia, we're willing to make a sacrifice. We'll give you Paul George, in fact. All right, now I'm going through. I'm not doing this to you, because I'm going through it right now. I'm in my feelings. That's why I'm happy.
Starting point is 03:09:13 I think that's horrible. I'm in my feelings. I think it's horrible. Now I'm not mad at this if Tibbs, as a 70 half a year old, says, you know what? I'm retired. I'm done. Nobody says that shit after being a stone stone
Starting point is 03:09:23 from the NBA finals. I guarantee you, Tibbs ain't want to be nowhere but right where he at. I'm done. I'm not the shit after being a stone's throw from the NBA finals I guarantee you tips ain't want to be nowhere, but right where he at. Yeah work That is absolutely that's hard crazy that y'all did that I'm going I don't what else y'all got you got any other breaking news? No Nothing I'll do it broken news broken. I love it. Um Alright it's sleeper time it's sleeper time. It's sleeper time, so give me, oh wait, we didn't talk about division
Starting point is 03:09:55 being unsigned and then signed. They were independent, and then now they're on So So Def. Now they're on So So Def, and Jermaine Dupree announcedree announced yo after seeing the energy and seeing them on tour and working with them once I found out they was on Sign I had to sign him. That's awesome. Jermaine Dupree What the fans are saying is when the fuck would a on sign and why didn't they tell us? Right. We wish we would have known I had no idea But congratulations to division. I absolutely love them.
Starting point is 03:10:27 Sometimes when I'm home searching for entertainment, I do a few things. I go back to old history that makes me laugh, or some current shit that's going on. There's a guy on Instagram right now, I forgot his name, but he's a basketball nigga. He's showing you all the loopholes in the travel rules in the NBA.
Starting point is 03:10:49 So he's just out there taking 29,000 steps, hopping around. Gather steps and shit. I hate the videos. I hate him with a passion, but guess what? He makes me laugh when I'm feeling down. He makes me laugh when I'm feeling down. Another thing that gives me joy when I'm feeling down
Starting point is 03:11:05 is remembering that we called Division to tell him about that stupid ass song that him and Jermaine DePri made. He told me that that song was gonna be a classic and around for the next 50 years. If I get caught cheating, that don't mean I don't love you. And I know I've cheated more than Division. And I was saying
Starting point is 03:11:26 Hey, if something's wrong if a nigga that cheated more than you is saying hey dog I don't know if this the guy anthem that we needed to be So division anytime you want to talk about that what else brings me joy Oh when I issue Diaz talked about she fell in love with her boyfriend when he kidnapped her and hit her passport You remember that one we can move on I didn't know that's why oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. That was the best that was that was one of the cuts in That's one of the best stories to ever hit the internet Stephen Victor said that push paid seven figures to get out of the death. That's that's that's how much they owe three album
Starting point is 03:12:02 Well, he owe three. I sound that's how much he stood on on Keeping that verse on their little business respect it. Well, my verse is worth more than ten figures The Kendrick verse. Yeah. Yeah, Kendrick verse will be worth more than seven figures if I'm allowed to put it out properly Yeah, he's on now. I got this now. I got this Deal this way with rock nation where we probably got to split a certain way now. They probably already hate Drake. We out of here Yeah You pay that seven you pay that seven figure tab quick depend on how the seven figures are Well, you got it God was able to get it seven figures
Starting point is 03:12:45 long-range. We don't know that he did. Yeah, we took a nine. Nine is big different than one. That's what I said. We said we'd get it. Steven Victor got enough Ferraris to fucking pawn some of those shit off. Hey, one thing for sure, if Putsch didn't have it, him and Steven Victor was gonna have it. They gon' get it. Push gets Steven Victor. Putsch is a fucking... Putsch is our era's version of Vince Staples. Like that niggas parading around out here like an underground MC, but he ain't. He ain't, he don't act on the ground. Yeah, you don't write the McDonald's theme and be an underground MC. And Arby's, right?
Starting point is 03:13:14 Yep, and Arby's. I am going with Givion, who to me is doing, I know we all enjoyed some of that music that Silk Sonic did. It sound like Givion is doing that. Okay. Like it sound like he and his make my shit sound like the 70s bag. You don't like it, Ish?
Starting point is 03:13:33 What are you doing? I was just sleeping, man. You can say that, I ain't gonna fuck with you. You don't fuck with it? What he's doing? The sound of it? Do you like Givion? He all right, he a little,

You thought you were the only one male that didn't like Givion? Yo, you could speak for yourself sometimes. Speak up. Don't whisper it. Speak up. Don't let Monty Long speak for you.

I Think if y'all lose the boss, then nobody says I agree with you The problem is just that it don't seem like the Knicks felt that way if y'all lose in seven games the boss
Starting point is 03:20:19 Then nobody says a fucking thing. They congratulate him. In fact, yo brand new music. It's my man Trey Songz. See, Melissa, that's the problem, man. What's that? You know, don't, don't. If you bought something, you can't put your life into other people's hands. Oh, shit.
Starting point is 03:39:11 Yes, you can. I'm down with that. I was saying he was the problem, not you, but they took it somewhere else. But it's crazy. It's all a deal. He was interrupting, he stepped on your story, and then he silenced you.
Starting point is 03:39:21 He tried to sell you out. He tried to buy you, basically. Whoa. No, no, your dignity for, what was it, a stromboli? No, would you order a chicken salad?
