Starting point is 00:00:00 The thoughts, views, and opinions expressed by this podcast whose bullets its hosts are for entertainment purposes only. I repeat, it is not serious. It is not real. No one is exposing, revealing, indicting, or telling you anything about themselves. Also, we do not encourage you to try this at home. We are trained professionals who do not have your best interests at heart or our own.
Starting point is 00:00:26 Enjoy the show. You'll turn this thing on, mic check one, one, two. Two, one two. Five degrees out here. Mark don't have a coat on. Welcome, welcome, welcome. Welcome. Welcome.
Starting point is 00:00:35 Welcome. Welcome. Welcome. So happy y'all could be here, man. Bless, blessed and highly favored. Salute to that, to that man up top. And Corey, I still pray for him. All the atheists out there.
Starting point is 00:00:45 He needed. I still pray for the atheists. I don't get a fuck what they believe. Uh, yo, you ain't where a coat, Mark? Nah, I need one. My girl, Mone here on time. Stop playing with us. Yo, when we get here on time together, oh my God.
Starting point is 00:01:00 Mark, get a cold, man. I was going to wear one out the door today, and I said for what? It was three or four degrees when I got up. That's a good reason. Yeah, but I jump right in the car, I didn't come straight here. The most time I spend outside is taking them damn pitches, with y'all. That's a good time for a coat. It's cold out.
Starting point is 00:01:17 Or just hear me out. We could not take the pictures outside. No, no, we got to take the pictures outside. I was so curious of why we have to take the pictures outside. Like, I just did, you know. Thank you, Mona. Versus where? Where it's not three degrees.
Starting point is 00:01:31 Versus taking them where? Anywhere inside. Here's heat. We do the same photo. Every time. I ain't pocket watching, but I'm sure the gentleman spends a decent amount of money for the view. I want to get that view as well. You're like, do you two poor Philly people know that we pay millions of dollars for that?
Starting point is 00:01:52 I know y'all don't have views in Philly. I showed the view of. I got cussed out. They don't have views in Philadelphia. that's why that's why they're aligned in this. What y'all got? Ben Franklin.
Starting point is 00:02:02 And they got whatever steps, whatever steps Rocky was running down. The bells. The steps. The steps. Yeah, they got the steps Rocky trained on. Oh my God.
Starting point is 00:02:13 And Bill's a historic thing. Then the rest of the country took the meek intro from y'all. Y'all lost that. That's your attraction to steps. Yeah. You should have seen the steps during the snow. Why else would you go to Philly
Starting point is 00:02:25 unless it's something down that you pipe? They lost the steps. And even in that, when you meet the bad Philly joints, you come up top. She's come up top, she's hop on that 95. But you heard bad Philly joints. Exactly. Oh, Philly joints. Oh, no.
Starting point is 00:02:37 No, no, no. No, no. No, no. We got you. But there's bad Philly joints out there now. And some of the audience that they'll beat it down. Don't play. Don't play with Big Demos.
Starting point is 00:02:49 Please. People been asking if you single. I just ignore them. I go Big Brother Mode. Just ignore. My nigga. You already know. That big brother mode.
Starting point is 00:02:57 I can't believe that's still out. It's not applicable here with Mone and Mark. But I can't believe that still works. What do you mean? Big Brother had a long run. Oh, that's like my sister. What did they do? That's a different one.
Starting point is 00:03:09 I'm not talking about y'all. Yeah, yeah, yeah. The ones would be fucking? Well, the one that'd be trying to fuck. Yeah. And I legit think that's like so scummy. Niggas did. You call it?
Starting point is 00:03:18 Yes. That's my sister. Don't start your shit today. I was shocked too, bitch. Do not start your shit today. No, I believe him because I was shocked too, in. I didn't know. I didn't know people do the brother and sister be sneaky fucking.
Starting point is 00:03:28 I did not know that. No, no, no. Sometimes it means I have no chance of fucking this girl, so I'm a call her sister. It's a friend zone. Oh, yeah, I do that all the time. But that's not what you were saying. Oh, I do that all the time. You were saying the niggas was using the big bro as the means to pop.
Starting point is 00:03:43 Niggas be trying to big bro their way into some pussy. It'd be, I never heard of that. It'd be she not interested. I don't got no shot. It was because you're blessed with beautiful eyes. Nick, mute up while we talk about some real shit. You notice. I don't know why you be playing.
Starting point is 00:03:56 That's like I'm in there. You don't know the nigger that's like, yo, he's trying to get at it. She ain't with it. So he's, I'm going to take on like my little sis and then I'm still trying to be close. Yeah. He doesn't get it because he's not a scummed. That's crazy. All right.
Starting point is 00:04:09 Well, in our next part, we'll explain everything Nish. But yeah, I can't believe that that's the only thing. I can't believe that should never heard of it. Yeah, I throw a nigga quick. You bro a nigga put him right over there. And if that nigga still want to beat, he's going to take the bro position and then one day he'll get out of that spot. That's what we're talking about. I'm doing mad right now on my brain.
Starting point is 00:04:26 It's a lot of niggas. It's a lot of niggas. It's a lot of niggas. I didn't even think about it. Yeah. And when women initiate that you're the bro, I've seen sometimes women try to bro their way into dick. Oh, yeah. When women just out the blue, that's my bro, that's my bro.
Starting point is 00:04:46 They use that as a way to fend off other bitches. They use that for so many things. My wife put me on the reverse. Yeah, that can happen to. Yeah, yeah, you got to be careful. Or yeah, I don't want people to know that I'm fucking. this dude. Yeah, you gotta be careful out there.

Starting point is 00:17:34 And for rob a lamp truck switching wild lanes. Top down, screaming out them niggas are lame. Came up from the mud puddles, then it all changed. Living ghetto bad like my brother named Parcane. Someone on the way I hate to say we lost shame. Grown men peddling gossip of all things. I remember when it was rapping a bar plan. Bread and butter is yapping a parlay.
Starting point is 00:17:55 Oh, man. Your name's a big conversation. Max steals for Luca Donchik, live in an a eight-in. Though nowadays you can make a grip commentating if your master two skills, he's a dick round and a-hater. Just look at him. Jesus. I'm starting this over.
Starting point is 00:18:12 Yeah, go ahead. Let's go. I'm starting this over. By the time he hit that, oh, man, I was like, oh, man. Hey, I would say. I was saying it too. No, I'm playing this again, man. I'm so happy for Clue.
Starting point is 00:18:27 I'm so happy for Clue, man. I've been saying for weeks. It's about fucking time. I've been saying for months. I've been saying for, y'all know, I appeal. Yeah, I've been saying this. I've been on this. Clue just don't get the fucking respect that he deserves.
Starting point is 00:18:43 And hip hop. I think a large part of that is due to lime wire, Napster, and drama going to jail. Yeah, fair. So, you know, that's like so many of ours, our dat piff history is gone. Whatever we were doing before SoundCloud
Starting point is 00:19:04 to on some just getting Lucy's out there, that shit is gone. This game has taken off and niggas are getting millions for selling their catalog and it's just like an ocean of joints that are gone. And part of that is the Clue legacy and now the kids have gotten old and they think their clue is some risk.
Starting point is 00:19:22 radio DJ nigga. Right. Yeah, they just don't know. And we've seen Capri get his shine on Kendrick. We've seen drama get his shine from the various shits he's done and the Tyler project on the mainstream level. Yeah. So it's nice to see Clue get his.
Starting point is 00:19:34 Yeah, I'm not going to lie. It's overdue. This was an era to hear him. Shout out Paul Kane. Yeah. Was important to me. Even just the way, I mean, we skip it a little bit, but like the way that he was rapping was like on some old four shit.
Starting point is 00:19:51 Yes You know what I'm saying Like the style in which he approached these beats Yeah Was like throwback vibes Any any guesses as to why All Bad Boy beats Hmm
Starting point is 00:20:04 I never even thought I didn't think about that I never even thought about that I think it's just a matter of Think about it for a little bit Let's get back Yeah go ahead Think about it for a little bit
Starting point is 00:20:14 Let's get back man So glad y'all could be here with us today man Chat for the first The Last Time listeners You know we do You do that. We do that. Word. Word. Culture. In the Ferrari a lamp truck switching wild lanes.
Starting point is 00:20:30 Top down, springing knocking down to our lane. Came up from the mud puddles, then it all changed. Living ghetto bad like my brother named Par Cane. Someone on the way I hate to say we lost shame. Grown men peddling gossip of all things. I remember when it was rapping the ball playing. Now the bread and butter is yapping and par lane. Amen.
Starting point is 00:20:49 Your name's a big conversation. Max steals for Luca Donchik, lob in the a etan. Now nowadays you can make a grip commentating if your master two skills, either dick rider and hate-or, I know about you. Just look around a haitin and a dick ridein is blatant. Tell mama your ticket. I don't think he was talking about me, by the way. I don't think that for me.
Starting point is 00:21:06 But it's a super. But I'm not. Personally, I don't write comments. I write comments. Withdrawals from pictures, the pin draws to fall off. They want to know if this is the end all. Be all to this rap game, strained. The C. P. I'm a whole new breed for those that wonder who he think he is.
Starting point is 00:21:23 That thunder at night to wake up the sleepy heads. Just when you thought that your boy was completely dead. Boom, walked out that tomb like Matthew said that Jesus did. With the whole game on his shoulders, not even strained and I'll hold it. I can spin around my fingers and bowl it. When I write it's like I'm guided by the angels I notice. It's like the ghost of Christopher Waters and came in and rolled it. First name wants his fame and a motive.
Starting point is 00:21:47 The best verse belongs to a nigga that should live in a Bronx. Cong shit. Long ding dong shit. I've reached off the sauce Y'all got lost All this folks rapper like I'm chompson white Give all the writers
Starting point is 00:22:03 The authors it's hard to write It's hard to go ahead At this point He's peeved Yeah He's all shit He's annoyed at Boy
Starting point is 00:22:18 He saw that podcast He's like Now hold up Your podcasters out there Ooh The rest of y'all The rest of y'all Y'all been talking so much shit
Starting point is 00:22:29 and he heard y'all didn't like it he didn't like it one bit by the time i finished these joints i'm gonna see if i'm brave enough to shoot at some of you niggins too because i agree with him look what y'all did look what y'all did man y'all yeah it was them it was definitely them but now this is why he's confusing before i play the rest of this this is track one on this it did sound like he opened up with some fire for all of the potty And podcasters and engagement influencer people that have been running them out. Yeah. Right?
Starting point is 00:23:03 And he sound annoyed by it. Uh-huh. Uh-huh. But then later on, he loves it. Right. He absolutely loves it. I think it's the last bar on the taste. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:23:15 And we know he loves that. You could love it. And still. Like he said, you know, if you know, if you've been, if you found, if you know anything about this, nigga, you know that he's happy that retired rappers or older rappers. get to do that. Like, I believe him. I take him at his word.
Starting point is 00:23:32 But I guess you can still shoot at somebody's later. Both can be true, though. I can be happy y'all got this and y'all still piss me off with what you're saying. And y'all still bitches for running your mouths. Gossiping parlaying and shit. Gossiping on couches. Gossiping parlaying. Gossiping parlaying.
Starting point is 00:23:48 Yeah, I ain't like that. They say they're doing that shit. That's all it is. It's parlaying. She's vibing. It's vibing. Oh, wait. Now, is he shooting at all.
Starting point is 00:23:58 Simba? Yes. Simba is online acting like he's shooting at him. I didn't catch that. He is shooting at him. Let's hear it. He's right as hard as the guard does. Y'all tireless to me.
Starting point is 00:24:09 Stop bothering me. Young Simba. Some niggins do some hate my way, but only thing that they just say is Cole, you like a fuck. He's been called himself Simba for fucking. No, no, no, no, no, no, we're not doing that. Follow the rest of this. Play Simba's control, and you will hear how he shot at Cole.
Starting point is 00:24:24 Oh, okay. He heard it. He listened, and Cole ain't the type to get on the Internet. I'm going to address you when I'm ready to, and he's ready. He's talking directly to him. And even if the young Simba part is in reference to himself, everything around, yeah, it's not. But everything around. Let's go to get.
Starting point is 00:24:39 All the right is the writers. It's hard to write. As hard as the god does. Y'allel is to me? Stop bothering me. Who is a toddler to Jemann? And stop bothering me. And you're annoying.
Starting point is 00:24:49 You're being a nuisance. Whoever he's talking to, you're being a jerk. You are disrupting his study time. A lot of the shit his shoe fits to me. But maybe this is. No, no. I got you. Wait.
Starting point is 00:25:01 Wait. Wait. I agree with you. I think a lot of shit on here is shoe fits. Yeah. I think some of it ain't. Okay. I got you.
Starting point is 00:25:08 Don't worry about it. Thoughts to me. Stop bothering me. Young simple. Some niggins do some hate my way, but only thing that they just say is cold you like a father to me. The top ain't really what I thought it would be. And so I jumped off and landing back in the bottom and restarted at a level where I wasn't regarded as much. Wh-
Starting point is 00:25:23 Shish. Thoughts? Thoughts? Let's stop it for a second and talk. I'm in such a great move. Mona, the origin of this show is this. I know you think like we off script. We bugging, we ain't talked in the wind, joking.
Starting point is 00:25:40 Listen, the start of this, oh, I missed the start. Let's get back to the essence. We're here. We're here. Not doing it for free, though. Now, let's take it back. No casparades. Let's take it back to the roots, but like, let's slow down.
Starting point is 00:25:57 No self-help ads. Let's not get crazy. Oh, my Lord. Nice, nah First year, when I hear, I just be like, yo, he just Raps better than everybody else. Like, that's the first thing I thought What I heard when I was listening to is he just
Starting point is 00:26:07 Rapping his fucking ass off But also you can tell he'd been holding some shit in And he'd been waiting to get off And I just love hearing him Hearing him go out See, I don't even think he's been holding shit in I think he, this is fairly new It's out like he's even talking about
Starting point is 00:26:19 Yo, it's cold just fucking New York It's snow, ah, ah, it sounds like he was just like You know what? I got time? Keep up these beats, man. Again, yeah, but I'm also had shit I'm gonna play No, you are not
Starting point is 00:26:31 We are not saying Dennis Rodman During the Derrick Roos tribute Because we're sitting here being Like we don't know who he's talking about Oh, is he not? No, man, you are telling bars All right, well what I'm saying is
Starting point is 00:26:42 My issue thoughts I hear a clue I see the cover Love the cover I'm like, oh shit I know what you I have Blizzard 96 in my phone
Starting point is 00:26:52 So I'm like oh shit You ain't got Blizzard 96 No you always want I'm joking with you I'm joking with you Because sometimes I got to remind you who I am. I know who you are free. Sometimes I have to remind you.
Starting point is 00:27:02 Come on, not playing with free years. You know, that intro wouldn't have happened early if it wasn't for me. That's a fact. That's a bat. And me. Because I wrapped it. But I'm just saying. It didn't have you.
Starting point is 00:27:13 What my bullshit? You didn't have you. You didn't have you? I'm automatically looking at it like, oh, you're setting a bar extremely high. For what? For the field or for himself? No, no, no, no. For what I'm about to hear.
Starting point is 00:27:26 Got it. Okay. Like, you're building anticipation for, Yeah. All right, you got clue. Yeah. You got the cover. I hear victory.
Starting point is 00:27:32 Yeah. Oh. We know what was done to victory. Uh-huh. A couple times. Exactly. So it's automatically going to be a comparison whether you want to or not. We'll talk about Banks a little later, but that's still in a shrine somewhere.
Starting point is 00:27:46 To me, Banks still over there. That Banks victory freestyle is in a shrine somewhere. Oh, yeah. No, that's what I'm saying. A separate part of the cemetery. Agreed. That's what. So if I hear you start off on victory.
Starting point is 00:27:57 You know, you know, you go to go to go. ravey on you try to see a few people but sometimes somebody else a little walk. It's a big shit. It's a long walk before we start talking about some of these other You got in the car and drive back there. I was there for that. MCs were afraid. But that's my point. Anyway. So hearing
Starting point is 00:28:13 victory I'm like, oh wow, we know you've got some big shoes to fill if you choosing this beat and choosing it first. You reminded me of another point I want to say that I forgot about earlier. Yeah. There's a sea of songs in an ocean somewhere but another
Starting point is 00:28:29 part is none of you niggas can do it anymore. They can't. Y'all can't do it. Can't do that. Yeah. Not buddy. They don't even have to want to try to do it. There's only a handful. They can't do it. They can't.
Starting point is 00:28:42 I respect, there's a few niggas that rap at a high level for their level and they go give it a puncher shot. I appreciate that. Oh, you niggas like rapping, go ahead and rap, get it off. A lot of you niggas that go over there to fucking the 106, what's the shit, power, power. Yeah. A lot of y'all that...
Starting point is 00:28:59 On the radar, all of them. Yeah, a lot of y'all, you're giving it your best. Hey, hurrah. I think that's great. But a clue tape, fam, and before I even finish now, now I'm getting now, a clue tape... Get the shit off. You go ahead. You're the perfect person.
Starting point is 00:29:11 You don't understand the fucking pressure of a clue tape. First of all, you couldn't just get on a clue tape. At all. You couldn't just get a record deal, think you could rap, be hot on your block, and get on a clue tape. That wasn't happening. You had to be like a dog, like a dog dog, a dog. Fab was probably going to get the first slot because business is business. But shit, when he did, shit, Kiss is getting the first slot.
Starting point is 00:29:40 Yeah. A new lot. You sandwiched, you are being sandwiched behind niggers, yo. Yeah. Yeah. That was killers. Yeah. Sometimes, I wouldn't mind being track 13 and 14.
Starting point is 00:29:55 And even that, you're not home free. No. He's surrounding you with some shit down there. And Clue would, and Clue such a fucking, he would never tell you what he had for the tape either. That's kind of crazy. He wouldn't tell you what he had for the tape. He would just be like, all right, did you do your thing? Because, uh, kiss.
Starting point is 00:30:21 Kiss was in the, in the stew last night with us. Just dropped something like, huh? I did I do my thing? All right, nigga, let me go hear my shit again. But Avey Hood was in a frenzy, Jersey City swore I was a multi-millionaire off of Clue Taves. Clue Taves went around. This is back to just appreciating things regionally. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:30:41 This is a big, like, tri-state type of. It's culture. It's culturally significant for our upbringing. When I heard the hoo-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-clood. Like, that shit gives you little chills, bro. Yeah, yeah. That shit is different. People are all young again.
Starting point is 00:30:57 Bro, that shit came with a hair cut. Honestly. Yeah. A haircut. A hair cut, a Sergio Chikini. Car wash. That shit was a time capsule. Yeah, nigga.
Starting point is 00:31:05 So y'all, the rappers that's on the tape were in here, everybody else's versatile to come out? No. No. Bro, the shit was, it was something. It was a movement. But that went to my point, like when X and them was on a climb. Don't you had to deal with all of them niggas.
Starting point is 00:31:20 Remember we had the argument, we didn't argue, but it was a point going around about the 50 cents and all of that. They chopped it up. Bro, you had to deal with all of that. Some of these niggas didn't have record deals. They still was killers. You had to deal with that. It wasn't no gimmicks.
Starting point is 00:31:35 It wasn't no melodies. You had to get on a fucking tape and rap using words. It wasn't no harmonizing the music. Wasn't no marketing. The big couldn't save you. The hook couldn't save you. It wasn't no posts on Instagram. None of that.
Starting point is 00:31:49 Yeah, none of that. No TikTok dance. It was you had to be a motherfucking shark swimming around in these wars. Well-manacured content to make the record look hotter than it is. Nope. With the HD cameras and good lighting? No, wasn't that?
Starting point is 00:32:01 I feel like Clues should be selling like a voice pack, like or ad lib kit. Yeah, like some AI. No, they should hire. They should hire Clue to do it. They should. Yeah. Well, yeah, but no, you can sell more to fucking pack. Nah.
Starting point is 00:32:20 Bro, you think there's a call-it if there's no clue? Do I think there is a cali? I don't think there's not a lot of these niggas if there's no clue. I think there's a Caled. I think that's the evolution of Clue. Caled was around, by the way. He just wasn't the Caled that we voted today. Cal was around as a radio DJ.
Starting point is 00:32:36 He was a mixed. You know what I mean? That's the template. Yeah. That's the template. Yeah. And what separates Clue, I mean, because Flex put out a album before. A lot of them.
Starting point is 00:32:47 But Clue was producing. Capri. All of them. Yeah. Clue was producing. Dura was mixing. Listen, man. Shep's kiss to Jay Cole.
Starting point is 00:32:55 Yeah, shout out to Dura, man. I miss you and I love you. For Jay Cole to do this and go this route, yeah, it ain't a lot of people that good. Not at all. Just to climb past them again and tell them all to keep up. I love it. Truly, I'm aging backwards.
Starting point is 00:33:08 In the sandboxes I played with trappers. The Cates pop like Asian rappers. The bullets graze and afros. Pirsing through front doors and left holes in a baby mama's favorite bathroom. They got no one was home. I'm so in a zone. I'm so in a zone.
Starting point is 00:33:20 I'm going to zone. alone creep to your room put four on your don't give your girl scream to the queen bitch loyal tone ain't matter of fact go on your phone add me on i g i used to be top c the apology drop me way out of the top three no problem will probably my best when they doubt me watch so that was that rhyme scheme is vintage give it to me give it i love the the words right i love like it was dope but i don't want to hear you i don't even want to hear you talk about this this top three big three shit no more. See to me, he's setting it up. He's making the narrative about the falloff being the fall law.
Starting point is 00:34:01 This is orchestrated. What's happening right now? I'd address it. The album, the falloff has been playing for years and years. This all just kind of worked perfectly in that narrative. If I was top three, now I'm out because he's playing into it right here. I get it. I just don't want to hear it.
Starting point is 00:34:17 It's brilliant. So you don't want to address this situation at all? Fam, move past that. I don't need to hear nothing about. I want to get as far away from that battle and everything that happened in that battle as possible. I agree with you on that problem. I'm just over it.
Starting point is 00:34:28 He's got to get his shit off, though. I'm about you saying. But I think you got your shit off at the apology. That's how I'm treating you. You removed yourself. Okay, so you deleted the song. You apologized. You want nothing to do with this.
Starting point is 00:34:39 Cool. We accept that. All wrong. You accept it. All wrong. I accept it. I accept that. I accept that.
Starting point is 00:34:45 I don't want to hear that. That battle birthed a lot of things with, mean if I'm taking them out of work, but his friendships. Yeah. So at this point, we're not on the battle anymore. We on shit that happened from the battle. He's made himself clear that he don't give a fucking want to talk about that battle.
Starting point is 00:35:05 So he don't, so when he says the top three and all this shit, I'm not taking it as this is more battle talk. One, two, I know there are people that feel like ICE and don't really want to hear certain things from Jay Cole. I am not one of those people. I still want him to pop his shit. I still want him to talk like the baddest nigger on the planet. Go ahead, get it all off. Long as it ain't directly directed to nobody. Like, we just broadly saying, then please, I don't want to strip one of the greatest rappers in the world of the ability that helps him to be one of the greatest rappers in the world.
Starting point is 00:35:41 I don't want to hear him clear up. I can see if he was still saying I'm top three or I'm at the top of and he fucked these dudes. Because to me, you lost that privilege when you bowed out. But he's literally saying, I know what I did. did. That's why I'm not in people's top three. I'm okay being the underdog. Like to me, that's perfectly appropriate, especially with the fall off, with the album theme is the fall of.
Starting point is 00:36:01 Can I ask you a question? Did you not like the apology in itself? Like did that irritate you that whole thing? No, no, no. I wasn't initially I was just like, yo, what the fuck? But after seeing how the battle played out, I understand Cole's point. We're wise. We all understood like, yo, cool. I don't want, y'all getting ready to get dirty like that.
Starting point is 00:36:17 I don't want no parts of that. So I respect that. He can walk away with insanity, his mental health. I don't got to fuck with none of this. So that's not my point. I'm just saying, I like cold rapping. I'm the best theory. I want him to continue that.
Starting point is 00:36:31 You don't have to talk about Big Three or even mention Big Three to do that, though. I can still feel I'm the best. Maybe I don't want to do the direct battle with somebody because of the potential it could get dirty or ugly and I don't want to get in the mud with y'all. But I still think I rap better than everybody. I don't have to one-on-one engage and make diss songs to say that I'm better than you, though. So if that's the case, cool, I just don't want to hear you do no more big three talk, period. Just say you the best.
Starting point is 00:36:58 You're just over it. Yeah, I'm over it. You say you the best and that's it. When I hear him say big three, top three, I'm like. But to the people that feel like that, like what I think is if you never hear the big three again, because I hear that's a new thing out there. Ain't no more big three. There ain't no more big three. Guess what you guys.
Starting point is 00:37:16 If y'all never hear the big three again, there's a big three. Of course. Right. If each one of them never say. that shit, guess what? It still exists. That is edged and stole. There were reasons
Starting point is 00:37:29 and there are reasons. And I think a big part of what's underneath, some of the public saying we don't want to hear that big three shit no more is a fear that exists because there's
Starting point is 00:37:45 nobody else out there that looks like they're taking that mantle and they're about to do that with it. Of course you have your exceptions that the young people are rolling with, which is NBA young boy and whoever they are. Like there's people out there that are doing great. But you know, this week I've been having back and forth with people about the blog error, which I'm just not going to do because I was there for the blog error and
Starting point is 00:38:09 participated in it. I saw you clapping back a little bit. I was surprised you can did that much because I'm not going to debate. I'm not going to debate with these people. And Moon Music 3, we put out CDs. We put out CDs for a reason because the blog error had not just taken off. but 07 is, I'm only talking about 07. I think my words got misconstrued.
Starting point is 00:38:27 The blog error is one of the greatest errors. For sure. It's proven to be that. I'm only talking about people overstating what it was in 2007. But in my back and forth. I want to go back to that when you finish too. But in my back and force with people, what I got to remembering and appreciating and just loving about
Starting point is 00:38:51 and reminiscing about. that particular error was all of the stars that came from that era. Yeah. And they were undeniable. Like it wasn't niche. These were
Starting point is 00:39:04 Drake in 08, 2009, Cole in 09. Yeah. Kendrick. Walet, Wiz, Currence. Whiz, Wazley,
Starting point is 00:39:19 Mac. Mac. Yeah. Like, there was nothing that the general public could do. Yeah. There was nothing that the public. Rockie, for sure.
Starting point is 00:39:29 The whole ASAP. Yeah. Actually, yeah. The whole ASEAP. We're talking about odd future. The music business, the executives, the radio stations, the stores,
Starting point is 00:39:42 the mom and pops, like that's what I'm saying. In 07, niggas like me was like fighting, putting joints on. By 09, oh 10, 2011 the industry had now acquiesced to what was going on
Starting point is 00:39:56 and no matter who's successful today I don't think the general public feels like they have three or four people that you can easily see what the next 20 years in hip-hop looks like right no there's no far that's what I'm saying really anymore that was the farm system I think that's by design too though bro like if you if the labels even if people say labels are dying off whatever they still got a grip they got got a control on this if there is no big three or big four big four whatever there's no top people we kind of get the control
Starting point is 00:40:28 the field a little bit better see i i think the label should always want stars i would i think the music business would always want star i'm not saying stars i'm just saying them those wants because now you have the risk of especially with all the information out today they ran the soundcloud took every star off a sound cloud and then sound cloud went bankrupt yeah so i mean bro think Or not just that. Wherever the stars are, the music business is going to go getting all of the people. We just don't. We don't want two or three of them is what I'm saying.
Starting point is 00:40:59 The mentality shit. They don't want to put all the eggs in the basket of one star where they can get 10 stars that maybe all additively can be the one star. And that one star gets some information and now is powerful and don't, and I want to play hardball with y'all. And I'm even reminded while Jay Cole is talking that I'm a father to you niggins' time shit. I was like, oh shit. Like when he said that, it was an age.
Starting point is 00:41:21 reminder for me. Yeah. Because you don't know when he was a new nigga. Well, Jekyll, he's about our age. A couple years younger. Which is a little bit younger than you.
Starting point is 00:41:29 Like, he's not that far. It's not an age thing. How long have you been in? It's not, it's not, it's not, it's not, it's not, it's not, it's not based on age. But when he says that, that's the other thing. Like, whoever the next person is or the new people are going to be, I mean,
Starting point is 00:41:47 does the public feel like you're going to get a run as long as J. Cole, Drake, Kendrick, Wale, Sean, Meek, Rocky. These people at, huh? No. Oh, man. Anyway, come on. I'm sorry, y'all. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:42:03 I'm sorry, y'all. I'm rambling. Here we go. But I'm excited. DJ Clue. Sorry, I feel good. Sorry that I'm in a good mood and love music. Fuck you.
Starting point is 00:42:12 Yeah. Code of truth, God they throw the loosens. Grift never let enough. Don't they don't get loose. Nah, I'm on top. You can't knock me off my spot. I won't stop to the boats and cruise ship. To the whole world knows who got the gold acoustics only then will I split like I co-produced it.
Starting point is 00:42:28 A lot of rappers make doad and be prone to lose it. For crumbs, dumb niggas so they sold a lution. Universal distribution but I own the music. Best niggas still breathing leaving no confusion. Hop on every nigger song abuse it. Catch bodies for my own amusement. Niggas cheating and I won't excuse it. If I said it then I wrote it stupid.
Starting point is 00:42:46 I'm a star like the logo on my shoes with. There ain't no converges. This ain't no converges. girl they go than goose is a nice fella but the flows is ruthless and the corporates two six for the closest you get to hope it's hope meals roll cold and seem more beef than the folks at roof Chris teach a man how to fish and the lesson is this without a pole you're useless catch my drift that's pretty clever yeah so that's pretty clever that was dope and a quick 12 minutes of of this too like he didn't
Starting point is 00:43:16 OD he didn't he didn't try like find a dope idea and then overdo it. Quick five joint, four joints. Then at the end of whatever I sent me was all of them together. And I let it rock. And I let it rock. That's clue tape shit.
Starting point is 00:43:34 That's how to, when they were first digitized, it was sod A.mp3, sideb.mp3. Yep. Side B.mp3. Yep. The whole tape. I love, again, he checked all the boxes for, for making it a clue tape.
Starting point is 00:43:48 I I wasn't really on this one What'd you mean? This freestyle This is probably my least fan I like the Lucian Bar Just the freestyle With the overall project
Starting point is 00:43:59 I don't love the overall project Like everyone else does Really? I love victory That's why I don't love the overall project The way everyone else does Again
Starting point is 00:44:09 But part of it is because I know what happened On them beats It's not It may I think It's such an elitist No no no
Starting point is 00:44:17 No listen You chose these beats for a reason. You know what happened to these beats. You know, like the same thing I said about victory. You're setting a very high bar that you might not even be able to reach. See, I love it because it just brings me back to a time. And I think he showed up in body.
Starting point is 00:44:39 And it's not at the point was. And it's him appreciating the time. That's true. Cool. Which is, that's a really, I can appreciate that. It's a really respectful thing. To go find a clue. Like, that's the thing.
Starting point is 00:44:49 mimic that is an ode to hip hop and that's why. Jay Cole is bigger than anybody that was on a clue tape with the exception of three people. He's bigger than. All he need to do is be himself to his audience and rap to the best of his ability. And for his people, it's going to hit like... I don't even think his people are going to appreciate this properly.
Starting point is 00:45:16 I don't think so. I don't think so. The younger fans may not. Yeah. I don't think this gets a They're not going to appreciate this part. I get what ICE is saying. When you choose certain beats,
Starting point is 00:45:25 you're saying I'm here to compete at that level. It's like when you choose a blues song or whatever song to sing over. Like certain, so you do a standard. A standard. You got to get busy with the standard, right? I think he did, though.
Starting point is 00:45:34 I do too. That's why he and I disagree. I don't know if you have to, I don't know if you have to meet. You know, you play in the garden. Like, you need to have a good game at the garden. You don't need to do what Willis Reed did or what Colby did. Or what Colby did.
Starting point is 00:45:48 But you go into the garden. You need to do you at the garden. I think he did a great job of that. I'm with you. The second freestyle is not my favorite out the pack. Well, it's first in the fourth. I don't remember all the names. But is that Bronx Zoo?
Starting point is 00:45:59 Which one is the first one? The first one. That's the best one by far. Yeah, easy. I think the last one is fired too. What is that shit called? 99 build. That one is, I think I liked all of me, but.
Starting point is 00:46:12 Yeah, me too. All right. Well, since Ice don't love that one, let's get to DJ Cleach, Cleo. Hey. What do you think of this one, Fris? It was cool. Whenever I'm a chord in a verse.
Starting point is 00:46:52 When I'm ready to drop, Steady going to report on it first. Play my album for the corpse and the hearse. It's so live the flow can make the rigor more this on the water reverse. These look as wreckless trying disrespect the Lord of the Church. Get disconnected from your source just like the court of your birth. I'm from an alternate dimension. I got lost inside of this one.
Starting point is 00:47:07 Now I'm walking around and looking for a portal that works. But all of the perks are rhyming and making it harder to search. The torment and the poet. I know I'm making more than I'm work And one time my neck and wrist was happening so much. I need to bring my music show back. I have way too much fun just playing music that I love. I know that this is a podcast and we do have to talk at some point
Starting point is 00:47:25 but boy am I having a blast. I like the little change that they made in the beat. I like this. I thought you said, please want to rap again. What did you say, Mark? You said the wrong thing. I thought you was going to say when you hear this
Starting point is 00:47:38 and made you want to start rapping again. Not at all. Not at all. Not at all. How can fuck do you hear this and I want to rap again? You know the ad rock come from? Because he rap- Do you know what he did to this beat?
Starting point is 00:47:48 Yeah, Jay Cohn don't get me out of bed. Do you know what Joe Button did to this beat? Yeah? Why would you need to rap? That's my point though. This is why I say it's just cool. Now, listen to this. Oh, what a time.
Starting point is 00:48:04 Yeah. Stack button! You can't move easy at tune devil is all The truck looked easy For the slap of his own Come on. Can you see the glit up like You sit on stilettles?
Starting point is 00:48:29 Can't you see the glit on the pebbles And sit on the better Now that you little scraps can't get on my level Get on a hot tone They try to shit on the devil Got respect when I killed Money power the first time When they try to knock down
Starting point is 00:48:41 The towers the first time And the only reason I'm talking about it It's so you know the real talk New York's about it Oh my God, good time So my problem Cole did coal on these beats.
Starting point is 00:48:57 He rapped well. No, fuck well. Fuck well. He rapped exceptionally well. Yeah, thank you. I'm not dissing him for the rapping. These beats caught for something else, though. Because I know what happened to these beats.
Starting point is 00:49:08 You picked these beats. You don't want to just score in the guard. You got to show out on these beats. You have to. If you take Whitney Houston, well, if you take Dolly Parton song and then you see what Whitney Houston did to it. We're not doing this. No, I'm just giving you an example.
Starting point is 00:49:21 And now you go sing over it and you cover it again. Yeah. You gotta bring you up. Yeah. You know, I hate that example. Nigger, Dally Barton, give me that slap. Nigger, you wasn't doing nothing. I know. We're giving it to the greatest singer of all time argument.
Starting point is 00:49:35 And I said now if you go cover with Whitney. Ice is asking one of the current grates to take from niggas that went. I didn't ask him to take nothing from these niggins. Ice is saying you just went behind Whitney. Not you went behind Dali. You went behind Whitney. So when you go behind Whitney, you got to go crazy. All right, no Dreamville tickets for you.
Starting point is 00:49:53 I was saying. No ticket to Dreamville Fest. You're done. You're done, buddy. You thought you were going to sit on the grass in here, fucking, Jake Cole. Which shows off the live streaming, nigga. Yeah, it's over for you, man.
Starting point is 00:50:05 Jay Cole, great job. Do you all you want to talk about the business of this? Because I love the business of this as much as I love the music of this. Oh, my God. The website? The website, which crashed. Pay what you want. And then as soon as you buy it, it pops up and says,
Starting point is 00:50:18 you know, buy the fall off for another $15. It's brilliant. absolutely brilliant. And I'm very, very curious to see what this fall off. If he does it, direct to consumer. I think he might do all, like he might drop it to consumer. Yeah. I mean, it already is clearly available for sale on the website. I'm just wondering how that's going to play in with the actual drop date. Or would, how would they compile all the numbers in the data? Who gives a fuck? He might be like, fuck the numbers. No, I'm asking. Oh, they? They can report But you don't have a report
Starting point is 00:50:55 And be clear He's still going to do the numbers Yeah It's still going to do numbers He's not going to have time To report numbers You guys He won't have time
Starting point is 00:51:06 It'll be too much chingching No no I'm saying When it does go up That's it No what I'm saying is when it goes up On your DSPs and all like It's still going to do numbers For sure
Starting point is 00:51:15 I believe that That's all I'm still going to have The number one album It's still going to do whatever And I'm going to make a shit ton of money Because I'm going to do it over here too It's crazy. Win, win.
Starting point is 00:51:24 Oh, Jay Cole. I love you, man. I absolutely love this man. I absolutely love this man. Love it. Love it. And I love people just dropping some, like, heat. Like, two weeks or a week before they album.
Starting point is 00:51:35 Word. That's old school shit. That's old school, man. Niggins used to drop the mix-tick. They used to go up to flex and freestyle or go somewhere. Like, that's old school shit. Yeah, but I'm going to do it. I'm my shit.
Starting point is 00:51:46 I love. I love the business. Come right here. As much as I love the music. He bodyed, he went crazy, but. And be clear, let me just clear this up. Like, I'm not saying this is a bad project or nothing like that. I like the project.
Starting point is 00:51:56 It's just I'm holding it to a super high standard. You give it a B, you sound like. Yeah, yeah. I'm not knocking. I'm not, I hate this or nothing like that. It's just you can't. I mean, it's only four songs. I mean, for what he did in the four songs, I think it was great.
Starting point is 00:52:08 Yeah, I think it's perfect. I think he's, I think created more of an appetite for the album, which is, I agree. Which is all you want to do. No, Nick is starving for that. And the letter he put out, like, saying how, yo, the album was this. And I went back and now I made, it evolved into the, double disc and all this other shit like yeah I want to hear the anticipation is even higher
Starting point is 00:52:27 and back in the day on some old school shit when you drop the project like right before your real project and you were rapping at this this type of clip like a good way to let your fans know that that's the that's where you and your pen are at currently yes well it also other people did it the other way I'm rapping like this because the label ain't not just not J Cole, but when that happened, let me give y'all what I wanted to do because the label controlled this album and they got me doing this over here,
Starting point is 00:53:00 so I'm trying to please everybody. Yeah, that happens. I'm referring to this case because this sounds current. Oh, yeah, it's good to know. He did that, but yeah, that happens all the time. Good to know that this is where his pen is with a double disc coming that he's been working on for years that's called the fall off after he's mad at everybody.
Starting point is 00:53:18 After everybody wrote him off. He says he works better when he's doubted. Niggas curse them out. They don't want to hear shit from. He's just sitting back with his little whatever he reading shit on. He's just reading shit while he riding his city bike. Clang with his dress. He also launched a message board on some old school shit called Ville Central,
Starting point is 00:53:33 which is like Cannabis Central for those of us that were on the internet at the time. Really? Yes. Yeah. He's doing some brilliant fucking direct consumer fan marketing. He always kills the marketing. Yeah. He always killed the phone number shit they're doing where they text you.
Starting point is 00:53:48 Yeah. Boy, that shit is amazing today. Word. Just think outside the box. Don't just rely on social media or rely on. All right, I'm going to go sit here, here, here, here, there's my promotion. Right. Do something else.
Starting point is 00:53:59 I love everything he's doing for this album. Not to tabloid this out, but there are the folks on the internet that say they hear Drake shots on here. I mean, the dilution shit, I could kind of see, I suppose. I wrote it. Give me what the Drake shots are. The only one I heard was the, yeah, the one he's saying, I wrote it, dumb. or some shit like that. Yeah, the, um, because I think the Lucian shot at the industry and at Lucian, I don't think
Starting point is 00:54:29 that's a shot at Drake. Yeah, that's how I took it as well. That's a shoe fits one for me, like you said. Yeah, exactly. But when the other line comes four bars after that. Which is, we ain't said no line yet. I'm got to get the lyrics. Yeah, see, I think the Lusion bar is a shot at the industry.
Starting point is 00:54:43 And then he goes on even to qualify it and say, yeah, I'm on universal distribution, but the shit is mine before anybody can say, oh, nigger, you up under Universal 2. No, it's different. You know what I'm saying? So I don't think it was a shot at Drake. Maybe the shit about writing his own shit. Everybody's in the universal. Like, I mean, not everybody, literally, but I mean, like, it just feels like one of them.
Starting point is 00:55:00 The industry. Yeah, like, y'all, y'all take this. I don't think Jay Cole would ever shoot it, Drake. I didn't take anything. I don't think so. I don't think, yo, dog, I apologize because these two niggas was my friends. These niggas really don't like each other, but I fuck with them. I don't want to be in the middle of that.
Starting point is 00:55:17 So y'all have at it. I don't think he's beefing with Drake or Kendrick. I think that's why he's. bowed out the shit. Like these are my real friends. I don't think they're industry friends. I don't think he might even not be the nigger to carry industry friends like that.
Starting point is 00:55:31 But I'll fuck with both of them. This is just a good dude. North Carolina dude. Yeah, just a good dude. That ain't poisoned by the industry. That's what I see. I don't think he's dissing. It might just be a little jab at what's going on
Starting point is 00:55:43 or a generic jab. Because I take cold at his word. And he said, if I diss, I'm going to let you know. Give me the lines. I'm still trying to find a line, right? Oh, the nigga, mutual ass. And he already showed the kind of person he was with that walking back from that beef shit because nobody else would be.
Starting point is 00:56:00 But outside of him, I'm just talking about when you go down to South Carolina or North Carolina, like, who does it? You're talking about like a ninth wonder. I'm talking about that them dudes are well-read, perceptive, like, forward-thinking. Them niggas, them North Carolina niggas. You know North Carolina niggas? I'm saying, in hip-hop, yeah. Okay.
Starting point is 00:56:23 All right. So the line we were talking about- Do you know who knife wonder is? Yes, of course. Okay. Well, he's from North Carolina. Oh, okay. All right.
Starting point is 00:56:30 So some of the lines were on Golden Goose. The Lucian line we spoke about, for Crumns, dumb nigger sold, they sold a Lucian, Universal distribution, but I own the music. And then right after that, if I said it,
Starting point is 00:56:40 then I wrote it, stupid. Do you think that's a Drake line? I mean, Drake is kind of beefing with them over shit. That's what the lawsuit. It can be. They ain't beefing over crumbs. And it ain't croons. He ain't sold for crumbs.
Starting point is 00:56:53 I'm just telling. I mean, it could be looked at as crumbs. If Drake is saying this is worth X amount of billions and I only got this, it could be crumbs. I'm not saying it's a dis. You ask me what the lines are that people are interpreting as a dis. I mean, it could be crumbs in comparison
Starting point is 00:57:10 to what he has grossed for the label, but there's no world where we're going to call 400 million. That ain't crumbs, that's a cheesecake with X-Remps. 500 million. What fuck is you talking about? 400 mil that he recouped in a matter of years? That's one deal. That was only one deal.
Starting point is 00:57:25 The 400 was only one deal. Let's not be silly for the sake of hip hop here. What else? What else is there? Catch bodies for my own amusement. Niggas cheating and I won't excuse it. If I said it, then I wrote it, stupid. So there's another one.
Starting point is 00:57:36 That's the other one. It's a lot of reaches. It's a lot of reaches. But again, back to when Cole was addressing, back to when Cole was addressing the young boy rumors. And he was like, if I did somebody, I'm going to hit you direct like I'm on your call ID. I'm going to take his word for that. That was a lie as soon as he.
Starting point is 00:57:53 he said it. Why he said that? Why you said that? Why you said that? Because he ain't. If I diss you. So I say, if I do it, I'm going to make sure you know. I ain't going to leave no gray area. Like Kendrick said, if I catch flight, it's going to be direct. They're saying that, not saying that I'm going to dis you, but in the event I do, it won't be no, yo, who's this about or is he dissing? No, you're going to know that I'm talking about him. That's why I say the symbol lines. Okay, MC Joe says that's a lie. But we can't prove it. Germain, I mean, I don't think he's above sending a sub.
Starting point is 00:58:25 I don't think he's above it. A sub in a distance is two different things. Whatever. Whatever. Whatever. God damn. I'm happy for the guy. I'm happy for the guy.
Starting point is 00:58:34 Happy for Clue. Happy for fans. Happy for Clue. This was just a great moment. Way to go. Dropping right after we record the pod. Slow clap for you. Like, I was after.
Starting point is 00:58:44 Appreciate you. Mad as shit. Really thanks. We was leaving and that shit came through. I didn't do the second pot. Yeah, I was home already like. Oh. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:58:51 Yeah, rub that in. Way to go, Cole. I think by now you dope rappers know our schedule. Some of y'all play ball with us, i.e. Kendrick. Some of y'all don't. Cole and Aubes. Maybe the ones shots at you. And me?
Starting point is 00:59:07 And part of that is I'm going to drop this shit right after you done, nigga. Now sit on it. I'm sure that Cole has seen a clip in his pod and said, Joe be gossiping. I think that that's happening He didn't need a clip to see that Yeah I'm not one of the niggas with you If you diss me I'm gonna think about
Starting point is 00:59:27 What you said You may see something that I didn't see in myself You might be opening my mind up Hey I see how they can look like that No have some validity there Yeah yeah yeah yeah The boy got a point Yo dog no gossip
Starting point is 00:59:42 30 mil with the gossip Gossip Gossiping Hey girl. Hey, bitch. I mean. Well, actually, that's a big part of the fans' beef. They feel like what catapulted me,
Starting point is 00:59:58 2.30 mil wasn't gossip. It was like genuine love for hip hop, calling out fake bullshit when I saw it. And then when the money came, that's when we got gossipy. It was a progression. That's what the fans. That's what they're saying out. So you can go back to that and then leave the money
Starting point is 01:00:17 and just go back to that. Why you walked away from rap? Why you walked away from rap? What do you mean why? I was done. I finished. I finished. Why you won't rap?
Starting point is 01:00:26 Because you said it takes you to a place you don't want to see. I'm sure you don't want to see them baggy tank tops no more. I'm living another part of my life. I'm living my life like it's golden. I remember the grass. The graph we were just talking about. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But I got to tell you, if there was ever, ever where it made sense
Starting point is 01:00:46 it would be in some of this shit that's going. going on. Oh, for sure. This is my time coming back. This is my type of shit going on out there. Hell yeah. Or alone. Like, I know the kids don't care about me, but when I'm in the shower, oh boy, I get excited. Your brain gets to work. Yeah, I get excited. I get excited. I do, man. Mona, we're going to need you an hour, too. I'm here. I know you're here. You're looking good. You're smelling good. I like the old J-Cold four-pack, five-pack. You know, I'm not a huge Jake O' fan, but I recognize he can rap, you know? Okay, okay.
Starting point is 01:01:20 That's it. It was kind of quiet. Well, yeah and hip-hop did that qualifier start happening, too. In 26th, like, she would have been perfectly fine saying, I like that, Jake, old four-packed. But she had to qualify it. No, I don't fuck with this, that guy. It's not even, that's old-school shit.
Starting point is 01:01:40 It's old-school. I just like ignorant music. I just like violent, ignorant music. He's not a violent, ignorant guy. That's simple. I like talking about drugs and guns and shit in the music. You know what I mean? Like, you know?
Starting point is 01:01:51 I want to be in the mirror driving. I'm selling a brick, you know? I would be so... I would be so let down if J. Cole was like a piece of shit behind all this peaceful protest image. Like, if he was in his group chat, just acting a fool that just... Oh, you know he's wild.
Starting point is 01:02:07 You know, yeah. He's acting a fool, though, bro. Well, I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. Just like a wild boy. Yeah, for sure. he might be a wild boy
Starting point is 01:02:16 like every time I happen to just pop into the strip club which I haven't been to now so please stop typecasting me I'm doing really good and being disciplined and making changes for 2026 and saving it's been uh yeah I want you should like like my drive in A or A or something
Starting point is 01:02:32 My driveway ends in like 24 hours I'm going to the fucking shit though how many days has it been for real? Yeah what about your town New Jersey? Uh Saturday night, midnight. Wait hold up four It is four.
Starting point is 01:02:46 Yes, that counts. Three. It don't matter. You can count and I'm still down. Like, I stepped out in Jersey at Franks spot a couple Fridays. Okay. But outside of that, I ain't been no way. We're going to call it 14 days.
Starting point is 01:02:58 Why is the Jersey thing don't count? Like, what is the difference? You all asking? That's some Joe Button rules? Yeah, yeah. Because Jersey is not a good time. So who? Oh.
Starting point is 01:03:09 So you just being. For me. Got it. It's not. If you in Jersey, it's 20 minutes. away it's a very small place it's not a all-star lineup of who's you just going because you stepping out for a second to hear some music and get out of you're not staying there for a long time or the women that's what I'm saying a few of them but
Starting point is 01:03:28 you got to go across the bridge for like some real shit and I haven't it's been a while for me I'm doing pretty good but anyway let's not center me um what we say that up here why can't we center anybody I mean we could center me I just don't want to come off like I'm censoring myself. I see. That's actually another problem with this bond. I have to be centered more. Yo, what?
Starting point is 01:03:51 I forgot what we was talking about just now. We were talking about music. Before that strip club shit. There's about music. Yeah, he's going to rap. Monas qualifier. I think he can rap, but it's just a got to, got to, got it. Oh, we're talking about Jay Cole being a shithead.
Starting point is 01:04:06 That's not. Hoping that he wasn't one in the new chat. Yeah, I don't think it's a shit. Oh, that's what I was saying. Every time I go to the strip club, that's what I'm saying. My memory's getting bad. I'm sorry. I apologize, audience. You're watching me.
Starting point is 01:04:15 You're watching the demise. The fall off. You remember he's always been bad, bro. You can't play that out of always. It's getting bad. Yeah, everything that's wrong with me, let's stop saying it's because of the Zip. That's how they do. And I'm not on Zemp.
Starting point is 01:04:29 Bro. And every time I even say when I'm on, they think it's an ad. So anyway, every time I pop in the strip club and I see Neo, like we give each other. I just seen last time I was in there, whenever that was. We always give each other like a creep salute. What is the criticism? Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:04:46 Do you know what that is? It's the eyes. You know what I'm saying. You know. Yeah. Again. Again. Like, you know, you consistently see somebody in the spot and you just, they on what you on, you on what they on.
Starting point is 01:05:00 Or it has potential to be. And you know that. It's just be a quick. I know. That's it. And then they. Like, I would be so disappointed if I walked in and saw a cold somewhere and we had that. And we had that.
Starting point is 01:05:12 And we had that. It would be so let down It didn't go happen It would be Yeah, it's definitely not Definitely not I'm talking shit I'm just pardon right now
Starting point is 01:05:18 All right All right Everybody's love Hey No worries No worries No way Y'all to have never
Starting point is 01:05:25 Yeah I think y'all got that fucked up When they come to that I'm sure he has Yeah He's probably got a little Marklema hill
Starting point is 01:05:33 I'm gonna say I'm sure he partakes But he just knows How to move He's a good guy Yeah Where when you meet A person's like
Starting point is 01:05:39 Oh shit you're not The dude The dude from the CNN show You like you have fun Oh you throwing 10 grand and um there we go onyx there you go Cole seemed like he would give you good advice on
Starting point is 01:05:48 on your marriage yeah stuff like that at the strip club or he occurred you not to cheat on your wife like bro come home yeah he seemed like the person I would call like bro go home bro don't fuck this up right now
Starting point is 01:06:01 you see her don't fuck this up man you know what I mean like come on Denise at home man exactly I agree Denise at home with junior just go home yeah come on man you call your Uber and shit send you home so dick hard you's about to fuck
Starting point is 01:06:13 somebody you weren't supposed to. He's a real nigga. Is that one of the word silences again? It is for me. She said that and I just went back to fucking somebody I wasn't supposed to. That shit is, it's overrated.
Starting point is 01:06:31 It's overrated. That's just, nah, it's not fun. It's not fun. Just doing it with no love. Yeah, 42 seconds. 42 seconds of pleasure for what? Such a big mistake to me.
Starting point is 01:06:44 trying to teach this bitch your spot she keeps moving around bitch how many times I got to fucking yeah she don't know how to really get that engine going I mean she don't know
Starting point is 01:06:57 the motherfucker button now if you meet a new chick and then you do know how to get that's when you call your old work like I always hate it show if you see me outside don't say shit anyway listen it's time
Starting point is 01:07:10 for my favorite part of the show prize All right, the big game is almost here. And there's no better way to cash in during America's biggest sporting event than prize picks, where it always feels good to be right. And since the big game is right around the corner, that also means it's your last chance to get into the football action before next season. So close the season out right with prize picks by getting $50 instantly in all lineups when you play your first.

Starting point is 01:08:00 before the big game. And you know we got our Joe and Ish Picks of the week. So I don't want to leave you hanging there. We are going with Trivian Henderson for more than one and a half receiving yards. they're giving a bunch of deals on prospects, huh?
Starting point is 01:08:17 Drake May for, we don't need Drake May because we need him for one yard. So we got him. Rashid Shaheed, who boy, what a trade. Yeah. What a mid-season trade. He out there looking like O.D. Hester. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:08:32 He looks like that. He catches a little pass and can break that shit. Rashid Shaheed for more than 23 receiving yards and Andy Boragales for more than seven kicking. points. There you go. Don't forget to download the app right this second and use promo code
Starting point is 01:08:50 J.BP and get $50 instantly on all lineups only on prize bics, where it's good to be right. All right. Coming off all that great and fun J. Cole shit, Banks v. Fab has been a topic recently because Uncle Murder and Tony Yeo went on the Breakfast Club where they were asked at
Starting point is 01:09:14 question. And it looked like they had a nice 4V1 going against Tony Yeo in favor of fad. But Yale is so charismatic and just loud and boisterous. While he was arguing for Banks, all I heard was his voice over the OG on the mixtapes.
Starting point is 01:09:31 Like he could make anything sound like war is coming to you. Facts. He was just having like a barbershop debate and it sounded like, oh my God. He's the perfect potter. Like even just him describing his mood. You just be so intrigued. I'm over there eating elk.
Starting point is 01:09:47 I'm over there eating elk. You knicks eat french toast. I mean, elk. Yeah, whatever he's talking about. All you know, go, and the way we go. The drama unfold is the clip of the round. Yeah, I just hear his voice over all that. But I thought MV would rap a little more.
Starting point is 01:10:03 That's my man. And this is, this is Desert Storm podcast at this point in time. I thought Envy would rap a little more for Favv. He let Tony Ayo do a lot of talking up there. He let Tony Ayo say, I'll ask the distinguished panel here, who is better? Fab or Banks, I don't expect us to spend a lot of time on this. I do like that with this and with the common Jada kids one.
Starting point is 01:10:29 It feels like when people throw these names together, there are people that I feel like aren't further than five spots apart from each other anyway. That's what makes it fun. So when you ask that, you're saying like overall or like mixtape Fab. and bass for an album. On the all-time great list, who's higher. Oh, damn. That's really tricky.
Starting point is 01:10:50 I would say fad. I would say fad. I'd got to be fad. I'm a little bank's, man. Banks, man's hard, but it's just, he's not over-fad. I think Banks got better albums. I'm using the same metric
Starting point is 01:10:57 that I use with the common kiss to be. It's fad for me, and I know Banks, remember what happened last time I picked somebody over him. But what's your favorite bank's album? Hunger for War. Hunger for More. Yeah, he's going to say that. Hunger for More is better than ghetto fabulous?
Starting point is 01:11:14 For me? Yes. For me too. I got to pull up the track list. I got to pull up the track list. Yeah, I think y'all. I think y'all. I'm sold tapes.
Starting point is 01:11:26 I can't put banks over Fab after all them sold tapes. I think, again, Fab has similar to the JDka. I think Fab has better bangers. Yeah. It's very similar to me. There's a lot. Ain't no click. Playboy, Warrior, on fire.
Starting point is 01:11:39 I get high. I'm so fly. Work magic. If you're so gangster. The Warrior Part 2. Karma, when the chips are till the end, die one day. South Side Story. And I'm just going to read Ghetto Fabulous
Starting point is 01:11:53 because that don't sound like it's better than Ghetto Fabulous to me. Click and Spark. Hold on. No, no. Don't take the thunder from me now. Don't take the thunder from me. And I feel like Banks got the better voice. Clicking Spark, keeping a gangster. Youngin. Get right. Ride for this. One day. Trade it all.
Starting point is 01:12:12 Right now later on. Take you home. Get smart. Can't deny it. Ma be easy. We don't give a... I'm with... Yeah, Hunger for more. I'm not mad anybody that says Hunger for more. It's right, too. I'm not mad. All right, so you give it a better album to Banks.
Starting point is 01:12:29 Yeah. But FAB's got better features and singles and bangers. Yeah. I'm going with FAB. As much as I don't... It's hard. This is hard for me. I don't think it's the wrong answer, but I'm going with FAB by hair. By hair. Even though I agree with you on the albums. and that usually is my thing, but I have Fab by a hair
Starting point is 01:12:48 too. I have fab by a Mike Shory feature. Okay. I have Fab by by a Ludel Mo Studio Stop by. That's crazy.
Starting point is 01:13:05 Like if he's not on a Little Moe record and don't have records with Lil' Mo like and just who else he got that fucking record? where he got to J-Lo or. It's a media, bro. Neo. I don't think he's a hair. But Banks,
Starting point is 01:13:19 they wash each other out for me because Banks got all the fly girl records. He does. He does. And he got all the fly mixtape shit. He does. And he has all of the bars in the world. I get Fab.
Starting point is 01:13:30 I got to go with Fab because I feel like he fuck more bitches than Banks. That is important. That's a hell of a bitch. That's important. It is important. It is important. When you put a better rapper?
Starting point is 01:13:42 No, when you... Because it goes to... I go to what Pock said, yo. If the girls are there, everything else will follow. That's a fact. If the girls buy your music. So, girls bought both of their songs. Right.
Starting point is 01:13:56 I got to land this on who has more appeal. And because of Banks is who he is, he's going to lose that one. Banks wants to be home. Banks wants to be with his family. He want to be out of the public. He don't want to talk to y'all. He don't want to tweet y'all. He don't want nothing to do with y'all.
Starting point is 01:14:11 All he wants to do with y'all. All he wants to do. do is rap and he's been like that. That's why 50 and these niggins can say what they want. Gio can say you're not going to ever hear him say nothing. No why? He don't care. Fab, on the other hand,
Starting point is 01:14:26 grab outside. But that don't mean that he ain't fucking just because y'all don't see me out. I think FAB wins the appeal slider. Fav can wrap. Definitely wins the appeal. Both of them can rap. You can't deny their ability. But Banks probably wins the touring argument.
Starting point is 01:14:42 Because Fab never toured. Okay. Oh, Fab never toured. Doesn't Banks? Doesn't Banks primarily tour 50? Banks Tours? No. Banks has toured. He's on his own.
Starting point is 01:14:52 I mean, yes, but I'm talking about he's toured before. I think you mean big tour numbers. I'm saying, I'm just saying, FAB has not toured. Fab won't tour. I got you. You just saying him touring, period. Period. I got you.
Starting point is 01:15:02 Which is one of the more interesting mysteries in hip hop that nobody ever talks about. Like I understood that him saying maybe I don't want to. tour, Dujo's are going anywhere back in the day when, you know, it's lit, it's lit, it's lit, it's lit, I'm not trying to do all that. He left a lot of money on the table. I'm sure. And it's leaving a lot of money on the table, and I wonder why.
Starting point is 01:15:25 It can't be the whole, maybe Fat Joe wouldn't take an airplane. Right. I think that. But I say, it might be a travel thing. No, it's not that. Because he'd be doing, you know, he did the Drey's run. He was one of the first ones to have a residency. He did the Dres run. He does the Miami runs. Like Fab does shows, but we, you know,
Starting point is 01:15:42 He's talking about a tour. That's such a good question. Because why? It can't be the travel. Let's phone him up. He does a lot of shows. Yeah, he does a lot of shows. He does a lot of shows.
Starting point is 01:15:50 A lot of shows. There's something weird about that. Maybe, and this is pure speculation, it could be if I tour, it got to be, you know, some, you know, some contract. If you tour, if you tour, you take a short because you're doing this in bulk with a live nation or whoever you're doing it, where you're doing it in bulk. So you take a short in some cities. When you do one show for the people unfamiliar, you're getting your full fee, which is why a lot of people may do their own show versus a tour. But why the tour is important is because you need hard ticket history.
Starting point is 01:16:27 You need, you need... For home, though. You want to show people, you could bring them out. For whom? For your resume. For an artist. No, I'm saying, but you need a hard ticket history for... Your resume.
Starting point is 01:16:39 For anybody that is... in the business of doing business with you. You have to show that in Chicago, I do this. I put X, Y, Z. In Detroit, I do this. And you need those numbers of what you can do in hard tickets when you go to. Not just you do a show.
Starting point is 01:16:58 That's not here. Where the promoter pays you, the promoter promotes it and. But I'm saying for like whom, for like future business. It doesn't seem like he's out here trying to do those things to where he has to have that resume. You get what I'm saying? You need a tour history to be able to do future tour. Well, you don't need it if you're never going to do it.
Starting point is 01:17:17 And that's like credit. That's odd. That's weird. That is odd. The question is why then. Because why would you not want to make a whole bunch of money? Because you can make a, you can do a show on some brown bag money shit. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:17:27 You get what I'm saying? A tour might be some other logistics involved. I got to cut people in. It could be that. Who knows? I don't know. I got, I'm going fad by here. It's very close, but I'm going.
Starting point is 01:17:41 I'm going fad by here. Can I ask you all banks question? What is the most important Banks song to you? You know like when we talk about Cominandigus, we might say this or that, we get named a couple of tracks. What's the biggest bank song, the most important bank song for you? It's too many. It's a few.
Starting point is 01:17:56 It's a lot of that first. Karma, started up. Any girl. On fire, yeah. Oh yeah. Oh, yeah. On five. The reason the reason I asked that was because victory freestyle.
Starting point is 01:18:09 That might be the one. That might be the one. That's the one. But when I started thinking about the biggest fab tracks, that was the thing that got me fab over Banks a little bit was for mainstream hip-hop, for radio, for all these other things, I feel like Banks' biggest ones might mean more a wider range of people than Banks' biggest ones.
Starting point is 01:18:26 That's why. This is not what I'm looking for. What's my record with him and Kerry Hilton? I've got a brain for you right now. What's my record? Yeah. That's my shit, though. Yeah, see, this is tough to deal with.
Starting point is 01:18:41 This is tough to deal with. I ain't going to lie. Lloyd Banks' Girl Records, it's a B-sideish. You ever heard this? That's why I don't think it's such tough to deal with. Huh? Oh, no, this is tough to deal with. It is.
Starting point is 01:18:56 This is a classic. This is a B-side classic. I'm telling you. Excuse me, mess. You must be some kind of a model. Enough to make a shopper run out of the Carolina. We mono. Guess what?
Starting point is 01:19:09 I'm strong. This rum out of the bottle. God bless you. I mean he blessed me when he made you. I got a load. That's what flame doing. Damn we jamming in there. I know how to change you, wange you.
Starting point is 01:19:25 Tell me things like you're my angel. There's no rumors when it comes to this. Right now your number miss. They call me banks. My government is Chris. They feel me in the birds. Love me in the bricks. Four inch slips.
Starting point is 01:19:36 Oh, ladies. I'll just get, that's the one. That's a problem. Turn me up. Uh-oh. I got a night. I got a night. Thanks, baby, ball up.
Starting point is 01:20:27 Yeah, got about nine, ten dimes, and all of them is dead. It don't matter because before the night it's done, I disappeared. So my new one don't even out of the side. Me, me, me, that. Oh, my God. Yeah, I got fad by here. I know I just played Banks Records. It's a hair, though.
Starting point is 01:20:42 It's very close. That's where I landed. Don't get stupid, Mark. I disagreed with you. The fuck. You just was saying the exact same thing you say. I know, but I'm saying it, acknowledging that that's what happened. It could go different.
Starting point is 01:20:56 I said by a hair. Yeah, but don't say it like by her hair. Is that a different? Let's not get crazy. I think you should have just put Tamia on. But let's not get crazy. Everybody relax for a minute. I got fabs though.
Starting point is 01:21:16 Can you carry no one. Stop playing with my guy. Now, now I'm mad. Stop playing with my mouth. Stop playing with my man, man. But stop playing with my man, yo. Honestly. It's fat.
Starting point is 01:21:41 It's bad by here. It's fat. What else we got? What else we got? What else we got? I'm sorry. You didn't see me get this excited part in the wild.
Starting point is 01:21:49 What did you say? I want to tell about what I want to. For me, it ain't a hair. It's a gap. He didn't get any wiped down. I don't think it's a hair either. I don't think it's a hair. I don't think it's far, but I'm going to be here.
Starting point is 01:21:58 Lloyd Banks's rapability is undeniable. like nobody can't say your thing he's upper echelon rapper but when you start comparing the impact and all that other shit it's not close I agree fab even with the clothes and shit come on stop it's not close mainstream I think when you get into hip-hop heads underground shit like that
Starting point is 01:22:14 banks you all know Louis Banks sold a bunch of records right yeah yes that's why it's a hair from me but I get what he's saying like Yale's argument is if we talk in mainstream there's no conversation to be had in terms of Banks versus fad because of the sex
Starting point is 01:22:30 the success and popularity of G unit. A G unit. And that's... Right. That's what gets tricky. It's not a bad argument. But we start talking about solo versus... What, respond.
Starting point is 01:22:42 You're taking a group and comparing it to a man. It's unfair comparison. And he played a... A huge part of the group. Yeah. He's literally known as like the only MCN. The theater. He's the best rapper in the group.
Starting point is 01:22:57 So? If that group goes on to do Switzerland, and Africa and France and all of these places, then that means that you are, if you're in the group, then you know. All right. So that's like saying Jermaine Jackson could be compared to...
Starting point is 01:23:11 No. Stop. Let's not be silly. Let's not be silly. Work says stop. I think about the disrespect to Jane Jackson. We don't... I'm agree with you.
Starting point is 01:23:19 I'm saying... I would like to finish my sentence. I mean, you could take Jermaine Jackson and say, yo, he was a part of a group, the Jackson 5 that toured all around the world, and now you qualifying that? Versus another artist that was independent. independently way better than Germaine Jackson.
Starting point is 01:23:32 But that's, what we're saying is that's a false parallel because Lloyd Banks and Fab 1V1 is a fair matchup. The group dynamic is something that we're adding to express what Tony Yale was saying and to respond to your mainstream popularity point. Also, Jermaine Jackson wasn't the front man in the group. It's different bands. Lloyd Banks was the front man in G-Unit.
Starting point is 01:23:56 At times, when he was rapping. Like, it's a different thing in, like, bands. Like at a G. Boy, it's not for the front man. It's not for the front man of Gio. I'm talking about when you're watching the show. Okay, but he was, he was featured.
Starting point is 01:24:08 When you're watching the show. You're saying something different. The rapper that was featured for the whole G unit run. For sure. For sure. Was Lloyd Vance. You cannot, you cannot compare a best rapper by far. And when you go to a G unit show, Banks gets his own show where everybody
Starting point is 01:24:22 can't compare a soul group to a album stuff, right? That's what I'm saying. Ice, didn't you go to a bank's show recently where you was just like, no, he did. that shit on purpose. They're getting me off my other argument. Fab by him. Godd. I went to the bank show because I said, which makes me argue from bank. You said that. You said that Jim Jones
Starting point is 01:24:37 is going to wash up banks and banks brought you out and said, this nigga said Jim going to watch me. Now, stand right here. Watch this. DJ do this. And he added, he added, he added another. You should have never said nothing like that. He added, literally, he showed me, when he was in the back, he showed me a set list. He said
Starting point is 01:24:50 I added another 10, 10 or 12 records because of what you said. Damn. Like, bank sent me some tickets. He was offended. If they did a versus, who you think went? Like, if Fad performs better than he did. Is DJ Booth, DJ versus Fab?
Starting point is 01:25:06 Is DJB FAAB for FAB? 20 songs? That's my question. Fab wins and versus Fahs. That's the part where I don't get y'all, man. I just don't know. If it's 10 songs, I got Banks. No.
Starting point is 01:25:19 It's like such a super, because it's like the hip-hop hit, motherfuckers that's still listening to shit like that today. And then there's people that, you know, everything, then the young people, I just think it's a simple thing. Like, he can't beat Fats. In the Verses? Y'all have Banks, Lloyd Banks, in a versus to 20 against fabulous.
Starting point is 01:25:37 Do you know why? That's no. Thanks be Fab. Because the verses ain't just the songs we've seen this quite a million times. In Fab. I'm not talking about DJ Boo Fab. Let's pretend that Fab did a good job. I can't pretend that.
Starting point is 01:25:53 Let's pretend that Joe got the a ox playing the Fab. Yeah, exactly. If they bring their best material and they would, both bring any best performance? Because like you just said, Fabb's going to be too cool for the performance. That's going to hurt them. I'm just saying Fab's music, I think,
Starting point is 01:26:08 kills wins and a versus. I don't know about that. I think it's 11 to 9, 28. He's a lot of it. It's a better performance. But they're not, it's not like he had a huge amount of. Fab been on some.
Starting point is 01:26:18 He has. Shut up. Listen. There ain't no wrong answer here, but I take that by here. It absolutely is the wrong answer. Fab is in my top-five favorite rappers ever, so my answer is always going to be fast.
Starting point is 01:26:28 Shout to both of them. Shout to both of them. Yeah, shouts to both of you niggas, man. You're making me mad. All lefts loo-so. We do it like, hey. Y'all making me mad. Same shit, different day, just ride through the city, looking pretty as the usual.
Starting point is 01:26:59 You don't, hit the same. Y'all ain't been out and this was on. What? Not me. They ain't played this in Philly. Mark ain't fucking with none of this. Oh, Mark pick fad like me, right? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:27:10 Why am I against Mark on this guy? He's, he's, I keep agreeing with this nigga. Why don't. Why don't. Why, right. Exactly. So yeah, you know what me, you know how we do. We hold it down right here, DJ Dell.
Starting point is 01:27:21 Strictly through the streets. I'm sorry. Come on. Niggas was Harlem shaking in this. All right, I'm done. We get back to talk after this. I'm sorry. I got to let this rock for a second note.
Starting point is 01:27:34 It's a music podcast, or it used to be anyway. Hey, it's what we used to do a big mark before that enemy. Be the loka, come see, but either we are cocoa. And I just want to see me and my team. Yeah. Who the hell? D-E-A, been looking for proof since 9-3. When I came to in the bins with a roof behind me, tell him Jakes, don't want to be.
Starting point is 01:28:07 Who the fuck want to beef? Fab ain't to be fucked with, man. I'm sorry. And I might not even stop. Just take my vans and make a small town in Cleveland pop vibrant thing on my, that boy band. Listen, as somebody that has wrapped with both of them, it's the same migraine. Let me just tell you that
Starting point is 01:28:29 It's the same exact migraines It might be worse Well you rap with both of them You can speak to that Because like when you did The record on rage Fab going to rap And now he's going to go sing some bars
Starting point is 01:28:41 On there too Like just make it even worse Now you're singing too, nigga Yeah but Lloyd Banks Going to send the track over With his verse on there So you already know Yo dog
Starting point is 01:28:52 This is how I'm coming I just killed What you're about to do Yeah Bad would be in the studio With you This verse is going to be like a little bit tricky. Y'all just discounting records that exist.
Starting point is 01:29:02 And, hey, hey. Some of these are going to be tough outs. They are. A lot of them are just tough outs. To me it's 11-9. Maybe 11-9. It's a close one. I would have loved them.
Starting point is 01:29:14 It's close, but it ain't a hair. It's a hair. It's a hair. Don't get no closer. All right, come on. What else we got in music? What else we got in music? I know Don Tolliver dropped.
Starting point is 01:29:25 He did. I didn't listen to a year. I got halfway. This shit sounds, the first three songs, I ran them back. And I don't usually do that because I'm trying to hurry to listen to get in here.
Starting point is 01:29:34 Yeah. But. You ain't running back. I did run it on the end. Oh, okay. I forgot. Got it. You ain't running.
Starting point is 01:29:40 Say word is born. Is you think he ran it back? Like the first three? All right, yeah, I believe him. Nope. No, go ahead, Preeze. I'm talking shit. No, I know.
Starting point is 01:29:51 Let me see here. Let me see here. Let me see here. What's up a body? I think the name of it? It's the second song. Well, I'm starting at the first one, because he bugged the fuck out from there.
Starting point is 01:29:58 He went crazy. He bugged, this is, this is. That shit came down. He started the project like this, by the way. That's hard. Thinking I love, thinking there ain't no rubber. Let's go, John. So crazy in here?
Starting point is 01:30:28 Let's go down. Oh, oh, oh, highway thinking I love her, Don. You're stealing my swag. Like dumb her and dumb up. It's my chumper. He said you wanted to hear track two, track two, track two, track two is body. That sound like the I love, that's what that come from?
Starting point is 01:31:29 That's something. I'm crushing on you. She don't time you know when I'm touching on her. Age town, nigger love her with a baby come here, I'm a grip on ya. Y'all news ain't got anything about her. Y'all know I've got a little spray. Oh, I don't play about her. Y'all know I'm funny.
Starting point is 01:32:01 Call me cash play. Oh, I know crazy about her. Yo. Distinguished panel, distinguished panel, distinguished panel. I know, sounds amazing. He don't do no wrong to me. That's how I feel about him. Yeah, he wanted that.
Starting point is 01:32:12 Yeah, he on that list. He's on that list. He's just had that baby. He's happy. Instant purchase. I have high expectations, and he hasn't let me down on a project yet. Yeah. Yeah, that's the end of my Don Tolliver review.
Starting point is 01:32:23 Yeah, sorry. I didn't hear the whole thing. I heard the whole thing. The whole thing is heat. I will go back to it But yeah Nah, I let this ride I was up early man
Starting point is 01:32:32 I was up really Hold up man How am I supposed to let you go How am I supposed to let you walk away He's just being his own Creative bag to me And I appreciate that about him Like I didn't even know he was coming out
Starting point is 01:32:47 Until I like looked at coming soon A few months ago I looked at what drops It's been radio silent All I have a warning in my life I would love to hear him and Cash Cobain do something. Hey. That was secondhand.
Starting point is 01:33:41 That's off Don Tolliver's new project, Octane, available in your phone and on DSPs right this very second. That's heap. Any other new music you people want to get to, you brothers want to get to, brothers and sister? I didn't know the game dropped by. I am going to check that out. This lineup looks pretty nice. Savage on there, Swiss beats. A lot of Jason Martin, AKA Proclamation.
Starting point is 01:34:05 Conway, Benny, yeah, I didn't know this drop, but I can't wait to hit play. I was supposed to hit my last week. I hit y'all in the group chat. It was supposed to drop last week. And I didn't know what happened. And I didn't know what was dropping this week. I'm running to this. So I get a chance.
Starting point is 01:34:19 For you, R&B heads. Jamie Fox announced a new album coming out soon. First single will be released on February 13th. It's called Somebody. He put a teaser of it on Instagram, but. Oh, I got to hear some of his daughter's beautiful instrument. playing on this one. On the teaser, did the show that?
Starting point is 01:34:38 They didn't give any credits. He dropping on Friday at 13th. But shout out to Jamie Fox. I'm excited to hear it. I'm excited to hear it. I'm excited to make music. I'm looking forward to his album. Are you?
Starting point is 01:34:51 Yeah. Oh, yeah. Jamie Foxx is, when he gets in his bag, he good to go. He can sing his ass on. And he can play the piano. Yeah, I'm really looking forward to. Also, the baby dropped his album.
Starting point is 01:35:01 I did not get a chance to listen, but the singles that he's been putting out, he has some pretty good singles. He has a record with Corley Ray on like the Jersey Club type of sound. So I am going to get to it, but I'm just glad to see him back. That's all. Yeah, I didn't get to it yet, but I plan on it. He's supposed to come up here soon anyway.
Starting point is 01:35:19 Oh, great. Shut up to him. Yeah, shout out to him. I do want to hear this project and be sure some heat. You know, I dropped this song. They got that little dance pop to it, and it's a bit of little while now, but it's doing real well. Uzi.
Starting point is 01:35:32 I even liked that. He did good on that. You don't know the song I was talking about you. No. It's all over. Why would you surprised you liked it? Ain't that your bag? I'm a Uzi fan, but I don't like that whole, even with my friends that rap do it. When they try to make the regular song into the dance song, I don't like that.
Starting point is 01:35:45 Oh, I got you. I got you. They put that like Wu-Tang, Jersey beat shit on there. I don't like that. U-Tang? Jersey Beach shit. Yeah. You can't Wutang back.
Starting point is 01:35:57 Not U-Tang Klan. Not U-Tang. Yeah, yeah. This nigga was confused. I was confused. He can't go to 36. He came to boom back here. I live in 36.
Starting point is 01:36:05 I knew what you were saying. I was like, I lived there's 36, Jack. Get him, Bar. He was to shout last. It was like dance. You could tell. Parks is a boombap nigga by the leg. For sure. He still don't want to talk about Pete Rock versus he else.
Starting point is 01:36:18 Smooth. We're talking about it? Yeah, look at him. Anytime it's beef brewing in the boom bat backpacker world, Park just sit there looking swaggy. No, nigga. Get to you. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:36:27 What happened over there? We'll get to that at some point. point. I know Mark was talking about new R&B. Joyce Rice, right not, why not? Why not? Come on, man. Finally, a woman that will tell the truth in one of these songs. All these girls and women doing all this yackety-y-y-ack a few years back about the roads breaking their little clitorises, desensitizing the pussy.
Starting point is 01:37:47 And finally, we got a woman that get on the song and say, playing with myself. is not the same. Did you hear? I'll play it again. I'll play it again. We heard it. I just had a question of what you said. What?
Starting point is 01:38:01 What you, this is it? You've been watching my set, nigger, that's like, that's the bulk of my set about them roses and the pussies being made
Starting point is 01:38:07 and steal and all that. Real shit. Like, where did you come up with that? How did you know what the wrong do to the pussy? Funny no funny. You know what? I mean? Funny no funny.
Starting point is 01:38:15 I would have seen your show if Mark would have called me so we could go on that Sunday like we promised you. Because that's the only way he can go is with me. Yeah. We roll out all.
Starting point is 01:38:22 We roll out so much. He's like he's used to it now. We're like, if I don't go, he don't go. We're like a buddy comedy, man. That's all we do is hang out. Well, you know what it's your idea. You know what's crazy? I just sold the show out on a Wednesday night.
Starting point is 01:38:32 That's crazy. Hard ticket history. My mother's. My mother's. Proof of concept, nigger. Exactly. Because the road of tours, nigga. Where is the show at?
Starting point is 01:38:41 I was in B. Moore. That's like home, though. But still, a Wednesday, bro? I hit the park and like, what the fuck they're doing here? I just knew. I just knew what I'm going to be nobody. Is that where the show was? Yes.
Starting point is 01:38:52 Yes, in Baltimore. No, I'm in the parking lot. Okay, this nigga. Okay, that's where we asked. I knew it was some bullshit. Oh, shit. Speaking of the parking lot. La Russell doing the tailgate.
Starting point is 01:39:02 My baby got that tailgate. Shout out to my brother. So proud of you, boy. Congrats. Next year, you're going to be in the building. Congratulations to La Russ. What did she say? Well, that ain't no joke.
Starting point is 01:39:14 That's my nigga. Don't do that. That's my nigga. I don't care. It's funny. Don't make it not. Let's do that. She said, make sure you're going to be in the building.
Starting point is 01:39:22 That's just natural progression. That's not shade. That's natural progression. One of the buildings. Maybe not a building. You'll be in a building. Don't do that. Why are we so fucked up, man?
Starting point is 01:39:33 Yo, we better. We? La Russell, this is a big deal. It's huge. I'm excited for you. Congratulations. It's in the Bayes, from the Bayes. It's only right.
Starting point is 01:39:42 Nobody more deserving. Wait, the Super Bowl's in the Bay? Yeah. I'm going to tell everybody that shit in New Orleans. I'd be lying. I'm telling everybody Everybody I know I'm in New Orleans man
Starting point is 01:39:53 You know at 45-46 Just casually lied like off the cuff Like oh yeah it's over there San Diego People believe you work when you got that Salt and Pepper shit you can say whatever they're going to believe You're wise now You got it The first stage in that old man shit
Starting point is 01:40:11 For real Or on some practice lies I keep telling them Like you just got to practice some lies I keep telling it. Just trying some shit just to see how you can get it off. See if you can still touch the rim.
Starting point is 01:40:24 You know my favorite place to lie? It's like in the supermarket with you and me strangers like I just make up this thing that I do. I just told me I worked at Amazon yesterday. They had a great conversation about packing boxes. Oh, that's fun.
Starting point is 01:40:34 Lying about where you work is the best. That's the best. Yeah, I love that. Yeah. Where do you all tell people when people ask you all work? I always say Amazon. It depends.
Starting point is 01:40:41 I look like I work at Amazon. I just, I don't lie. I just have a teacher. Like, keep it real basic. Doctor. He should say you're a doctor. No, because people want to have conversations with doctors. They be like, I got this thing on my neck.
Starting point is 01:40:51 I mean, if you say I teach, everybody stops talking to you. I can see right at. I can see that. Yeah, they would. I just said that. It makes sense. It's a shame, mine, by me. Everything is so expensive with this.
Starting point is 01:41:04 I tell the one of the construction. You are in construction. That's not a lie, weirdo. No, he said, tell me what you do? Yeah, I wasn't looking for the lie. But if you were to lie, what would you say? I'm in construction. I don't know, that's a good one.
Starting point is 01:41:18 I'm there. I work corporate. Yo, if he told somebody I work in Wall Street finance, I don't slap this shit out of him. Why don't bring back your fucking corporate subway line? I was about to say that. That's a good one. I used to work in finance down town, Joe.
Starting point is 01:41:35 I know, but if you told somebody that, like, you would want to come off like that? Do you know how that comes off? I don't. Powder. Okay. It also depends. Are you looking to have a conversation or not?
Starting point is 01:41:46 That's important. Yeah, that's what's important. Because sometimes you might lie to someone about what you do just on some funny shit. And they do the same shit? No, they might. Maybe. Yeah, they might bite. You could say something interesting.
Starting point is 01:41:57 Like, I'm a marine biologist or something. Oh, really? I've always wanted to know about that. Or if you don't want to talk, you say something like, I manage data. They'll be like, you know. I sell drugs. When you lie and tell them that you work there and then they take it and they say me too and now you're stuck, trapped.
Starting point is 01:42:13 Like, can you believe they made us do all those hours on Christmas? I never had that one. You know why you can't say Amazon. You know why I'm going to fuck with you? I'm waiting today, Dan. You know why I'm fuck with you? It's a million reasons. You know that, a million and one.
Starting point is 01:42:25 But one of them, if you're asking, is he makes sure that anything he talk about in his life that I don't know about his math so good, he predated right. I'm sitting here doing math. Everything he said, you know, I used to work downtown and walk street. I'm like, I'm going to love that. When did I meet this nigga? When did I meet this nigga? What year? What was the day?
Starting point is 01:42:45 He pushed all. Your 20s was, you make your 20s sound like, and you better too. Joe, I worked right there. Before I met you. At one liberty. Before I met you.
Starting point is 01:42:57 I worked there. Did you know him then? No. He could really lie about all that shit. That's the thing about the niggas that migrate to different cities from D.C. to New York. He could tell any lie he wants. Dog, this nigga life seems so fucking interesting.
Starting point is 01:43:10 Because I promise you, yo, when we talk, especially because, you know, me and him had certain stuff in common, And we talk about the street shit And then he talks like just randomly Oh, I used to work downtown It's like, nigga, when? Like, the way I've done my own calculations
Starting point is 01:43:22 Isch was a drug lord in like fourth grade. Like that had to be a fourth, seventh grade type of run. The shortest drug lord ever, too. But he still was a drug lord through fourth to seventh grade. There you go. Allegedly. Yeah, fuck is wrong with you. Come on now.
Starting point is 01:43:37 Your fingertips still got that crack. This is crazy. What else needs our attention? What else is import? Some Grammy news coming up. One thing that got me excited as a Philadelphia was that Eve finally got her Grammy. Did y'all peep that?
Starting point is 01:43:53 I did not. No. The Grammys finally awarded her Grammy for You Got Me. You know, she was left off for that song. Oh, yes. Great. Philadelphia was raining. We're making some noise for that.
Starting point is 01:44:03 All right, Philly making noise again. He's so petty. Your encore won again. For those that don't know, Eve is the one doing the rap on You Got Me by the Roots of Erica Badoo. She was a sort of undue. known talent at the time and there were some things that happened. Oh shit, more Philly.
Starting point is 01:44:18 I forgot this thing from Philly too. He's doing us crazy today too. Yo, my man, for my man, family of the show, Zaire Franklin on his side. I forgot he was Philly too. Yeah, because we're in here. But he should be silent today because he came here last time
Starting point is 01:44:36 and then didn't win a game. He should be pretty quiet today. Hey, I got him. Hey, I got a mic there if you find your co-owners again. You came here and popped it. And then, come on, have to see me. No, look at my boy. And this is my man.
Starting point is 01:44:57 I don't let niggas play with Zayette neither. Y'all better not play with my boy out there. Look at Mollet. Look at Mollett. This is my nigga. Yo. You heard of the whole shit. Hey, Ziat.
Starting point is 01:45:07 Damn. That's the first time I heard it without the gravel. Listen, just do it. What I can walk you? The grapple. She turned a mini-referfer down this bitch. I don't have a fucking podcast. I'm leaving.
Starting point is 01:45:25 Zaire, tell them that we cool and we have a parissocial relationship for years. No, first of all, Mona, we locked in. First of all, Joe, that's crazy that she's going to bark on me. Right when I walk in, I come in to see my family. Just check in, you know, when I'm in the city, when I don't check in your dreams. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, I'm pulling up. Check in with the game.
Starting point is 01:45:44 I've been through some shit. I know. I know. But no feeling in the building. You know, we're tired of them on the way. They ain't got to play them games. I've been carrying the guilt with me, nigga, like I was the coach. I'm like, yo, my man came in and didn't win another fucking talk about a turnaround of a season.
Starting point is 01:46:02 No, no, I was mad. Bro, I was sad, bro. I ain't a lie. We were sad for you. I was a pressure. I was depressed. I just broke up with the season. The season been broke up with me.
Starting point is 01:46:13 Dang. So that's pretty much how I go. I'm moving on, I'm back wearing jewelry. It's a good day. It's a good day. It's a good day. Who you got the game? Who you got the big game?
Starting point is 01:46:21 Can you say it? I got Seattle respectfully. Yeah, I got Seattle respectfully. But, yeah, look, I'm at home. So it is what it is. I'm watching at the crib. Big screen on. You got Seattle in a close one, or we're going to be getting popcorn at some point?
Starting point is 01:46:37 It's definitely going to be a close game because, you mean, New England is a good team. They got good coach and all that. But Seattle got a lot going on on both sides. both sides. They've been scoring. They've been playing defense. They're so aggressive. Yeah, yeah. And they got to get back for Sherman and all them. So they got to get back for all that.
Starting point is 01:46:55 Oh, shit. But I pulled up for the fight, to be honest with you. I can pull up to talk boxing today, respectfully. I'm going to the fight tomorrow. Oh, let's talk to the fight. Javonty. You got extra tickets? You got extra tickets? So we talk boxing. Don't do that to big Jersey, bro. Don't do that.
Starting point is 01:47:11 Javante from Jersey? No. No, Nick. Shecour from Florida. You're fighting tomorrow. Oh, yeah. That's the only sport I really watch. What, boxing? That's a Philly sport.
Starting point is 01:47:21 First of all, Philly really run this pod. Can we talk about that? Oh, my God. This really is a Philly pot now. They're making noise for that shit. Could he see you, bro? Talk about that tough all that shit. And if me and Zaire get back to back,
Starting point is 01:47:31 we really put shit down in here. No bullshit. That's the thing about you. Everybody except for my girl. Shut out of you. Nah. Back to back me as I has a scary sight. No, no bullshit.
Starting point is 01:47:41 Come on. It's good. You all the fuck the part of you? just going to leave Mark off. It's not about that. I'll beat that. I'll let it go. He's acting.
Starting point is 01:47:49 She didn't say Mark is out. She said it's fantastic. Right. He's like Mark pussy. Leave him. Who got the way? He got two back. Oh, God.
Starting point is 01:48:01 But he's been here. Why you couldn't go back to back when he'd be been here? Side right. He's the biggest then meeting more time. So why when we go back? He's the more. That's crazy. He's got to go back to back with him so he could be kicking niggins in the chest.
Starting point is 01:48:14 We were. We're going to cover it from the shoulders with this shit. No, of course. All hooks and hangover. Hey, look, no, somebody got to put the bail money. That's what Mark is. He's got to fight the case. He's the intellectual.
Starting point is 01:48:26 You know what I'm saying? Who's going to get us out? He's a philosopher. He's going to get us right. You know what I'm saying? You're the richest. Whoa. Why you always got to do this, though, is?
Starting point is 01:48:35 I just heard your drug empire. They're about to make a BFMF series of truth. That is. Why you always doing that? One episode. Hey, look, that's more than us. It's work. Get it out.
Starting point is 01:48:46 We ain't getting you. Crazy. It's good to see you. It's good to see you. I'm glad you here. Shout out to Stevenson and the fight. Who's he fighting? Anybody good?
Starting point is 01:48:54 Tio. Yeah, that's a good job. Yeah, that's a good job. Tio. Whatever. No, it's one of them. I'd have no idea. He's from your town, too.
Starting point is 01:49:03 He's from the land. He from Newark, right? Yeah. Oh, wait. Hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on. Here he go. He fights. Oh, I got to.
Starting point is 01:49:10 Is somebody tough from Jersey that fights? Chachore. Chagore. He got a legend. Somebody else. Nick, Shakur is the other one. Chiquor is the... We know that, I know that.
Starting point is 01:49:21 I know, I'm not that dumb. Oh, you said, was he fighting? Yeah. Oh, he's fighting TIFema. It's a good join, though. He's got the belts. He's tough. What's a good John?
Starting point is 01:49:28 You wearing your jewelry to the fight? Am I wearing my jewelry to the fight? You know, so I want to, but last time I pulled up to MSG with Jeff. Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Whoa, wow. Yeah, you slow down. You see.
Starting point is 01:49:40 That's a lot to say. This is your first time seeing him with his linebacker neck. First and foremost, let's just keep this. Look, North Philly, not that far. You got to see what I'm saying. They can make their way up here. They got to get that. Respectfully, though.
Starting point is 01:49:52 Shout out to the city. They got to get that. But last time we pulled up the MSG, I had my jury on Joe. It was like, him is a random person. We walk in there. We can see him coming. I'm damn, Joe, I'm with you. What the fuck?
Starting point is 01:50:05 I had all my jury on. I'm in that Joe's shining. I'm thinking we're about to pull up at the game, pop it. Tuck it. Tuck it. Tuck the chain? He made me nervous, though. Because my driver, I see my drive.
Starting point is 01:50:14 I didn't know where to park either. That was the problem. New York does that to people. So like, Joe driver was right there. Joe walked off right to the car. My driver was, you were on the car. Down the street. Joe said, Joe said, yo, you scrape?
Starting point is 01:50:26 Oh shit. Didn't need you? Wait. I said, no, I'm good. He left you saying? No, I mean, he waited. He was like, no, he checked. No, he's like, you're like, yo, you're sure you straight.
Starting point is 01:50:38 Be clear. It took me and my driver at least eight years to synchronize that. him being outside when I put it. No, his driver was the worst with that. He's the homie, but... No, I'm God. Is this the same driver that was stopping makes a lot?
Starting point is 01:50:52 This is my... And Joe, could you please stop praising God and come the fuck on? Right. That's crazy. No, it's my same drive. Well, I'm happy to see you. Yeah, good to say.
Starting point is 01:51:00 Yeah, good to see you. Yeah, I'm doing. Check here. I heard y'all cook today, too. Oh, yeah, on Fridays we cook. I don't want to tell nobody business, but it's short ribs. I ain't going to lie.
Starting point is 01:51:12 You're going to be loud. You should have seen what she found out it was short ribs. I mean, come on. Pulled up to get busy. Okay, what else needs our attention? We got to get back to work at some point. So we're talking about the Grammys.
Starting point is 01:51:24 Oh, yeah, the Grammys. Yeah, yeah. We shouted out the Eve for that. But also, there's a tribute to DiAngelo coming up that we should be very excited about, I hope. Lauren Hill, DeAngelo and Roberta Flack, right? Yep. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:51:35 Oh, okay. Yes, yes, De Angelo Barberta Flack. Which is why Lauren Hill is the perfect person. What time is that starting? They told her today. She should be there She should be there Right in the time for sale check
Starting point is 01:51:47 Yo, talk Stop it It's true She'd be late She showed up on time For whatever that was Last time she did Did you all check the moon?
Starting point is 01:51:57 Don't know You're like us Legends like us I love Laura Hill Shout out to Laura Hill Yeah There was a little controversy about
Starting point is 01:52:06 D'angelo's some being invited Yeah Did you all see that? He put a public statement out saying he's excited that the Grammys would be honoring DeAngelo, but wishes that he could have been invited, that he had, that he'd been sort of contacted to be in the audience. He has since been invited. The Grammy side of it, if I understand it correctly, is that he was invited and there was some communication gap, not that he was not invited. But who know, I don't know
Starting point is 01:52:31 the truth behind it, but I do know he will be in attendance. That's a beautiful thing. Lauren Hill, I'm sure. He sings, right? Yeah. I wonder why they wouldn't let him sing, too. Or is that weird? If it was them to sing in his dad tribute. How does somebody sing at the Grammys is a lot? I mean, I mean, I've heard him sing. I mean, he's the child of, you know what I'm saying? When I ask questions, I don't want to hear no motherfucking chuckling. For real.
Starting point is 01:52:53 No, that wasn't the question. That wasn't what our mom says, no such thing is a dumb question. I don't want to hear no fucking laughing. That wasn't the question. No, I'm laughing at. Okay. Yeah, no, yeah. It was the right question.
Starting point is 01:53:03 That n'nick Corey was laughing. How well does he sing? He's a singer. He's a singer. He's a singer. No. He can sing. This is not the time.
Starting point is 01:53:14 It's the Grammy's dog. It's the Grammy's dog. This night is reserved for... World Class. He's a real hard. And Lord Hills there, right? So have them sing on your podcast. It's supposed to be...
Starting point is 01:53:25 Diamond albums. Bro. Right. La la la. You always said something. I wish I would see D'Angelo. I would feel like... Imagine if J.B. Fox's daughter...
Starting point is 01:53:38 Oh. Oh, my God. bro, cut that out. Cut that shit out, man. You try to get away some shit. I cannot believe that we allowed to do that. It was only me and freeze.
Starting point is 01:53:52 Again, I can't believe they let us hear the sax solo for Jamie Vox's daughter. I thought she's very talented. I enjoy this. I know, Mark. She was very talented. Yeah. Absolutely.
Starting point is 01:54:04 But no, instead of Michael doing the tribute, Lauren Hill will. And it's going to be really great. Obviously, she covered killing me softly, so it makes sense. And obviously she did, what's the song? Anything. Nothing even matters with DeAngelo. So it kind of fits anyway.
Starting point is 01:54:19 For sure. But I think it's going to be well-produced. It's going to be dope. I'm expecting a good Grammy weekend. Now, you said they honor and they're giving Eve her credit for that song? Yeah. Does Jill Scott get a hand? I just seen something like she said she wrote that part.
Starting point is 01:54:30 She did. She got a Grammy. She got a writer. And even though she didn't get to, obviously, sing it. They got Erica to do it because Jill was unknown at the time. But Eve wasn't even, like, credit on the record. When that album came out, things fall apart. Like, she's not even on the CD.
Starting point is 01:54:44 That's crazy. Because of the video, people really just assumed that Erica was the rapper. That's an amazing. They don't even sound the same. Y'all was slow back in the day. Before, like, Apple Music and all that kicked in a day. You could really look shit up. Y'all was just believing anything.
Starting point is 01:54:56 Oh, niggas. We used to print out paperwork to find how we had to go. It was called MapQuest. I did that before. I ain't that young. Yeah, that's cool. Los Angeles. Let's have a robbery.
Starting point is 01:55:08 free weekend. Let's have a shootout and murder-free weekend. Let's have nobody get beat up, slapped on or jumped on free weekend. More importantly, let's have nobody else gets arrested by ICE in front of the actual Grammy. Like there's a lot of room for catastrophe to take place this weekend. awesome what the Grammids are doing I think they're going to absolutely kill this broadcast for the reasons that Mark said for the Brandy Award that she's getting for it's just it's just a good time to see musicians I always feel like that after the Golden Globes and the Emmys anyway save like after I see all of the actors I'm ready to see us getting our bag and so it's going to be a really good weekend but please be careful head on a swivel swivel level five to be a orange not one not the slow swivel ass swivel, watch your surroundings, be careful.
Starting point is 01:56:12 If you're checking in, be careful of that. It's already bad enough with all the bullshit and then fake phony baloney shit you got to go through. Don't get robbed to, you know what I mean? For real. And y'all, pussy niggas, be careful of the phony checking. You rappers are so gullible. No, really, to be aware it's to be alive,
Starting point is 01:56:28 you got to be on point, baby. Checking in with a nigga that's about to light your matches. You're relying on. and they're going to keep you safe. You think you good. They're about to light your whole matchbook. That shit is deep. You never checked in when you went.
Starting point is 01:56:45 We used a rapper. You never checked in them, Cali? No. No. I didn't live that lifestyle. I didn't have to do that. All right. I stayed, what TLC said?
Starting point is 01:56:55 The rivers and the lakes. That you used to. Okay. And when I went to the show, I wasn't ever, there was no point in my career, well, maybe the first two years when different things were going on,
Starting point is 01:57:06 that I wanted to have a million niggas around me. Oh, good. And that brings out of attention. Even to this day, when I see people do it, it's not something that I think is attractive. Yeah. I understand it.
Starting point is 01:57:16 It invites attention. I understand it, but I'm not. That's just not how I move. That shit invites attention, man. It's no bullshit. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:57:24 And you gotta pay the check all the time. That's going to ain't no money. Shit. No, even if everybody got money. It's Grammy weekend. Everybody out here can have. The whole crew could have money. What door are you walking up to with you and all your people with money that's letting all 20 of y'all?
Starting point is 01:57:42 It's only one person with the notoriety that we love. He can get two. Everybody out here is somebody. So all that picking up the phone, making a call. Yeah, nah. That's when I learned the lesson. When all them clubs was open on 27th Street, you used to go over there with five, six, seven niggas thinking y'all about to have a blast. Them New York door, I'm in the set you right straight.
Starting point is 01:58:02 Michael Paul. And this is when it wasn't him. Well, he'll set you straight too. But yeah, no, Joe, we got you. The mother niggas, suck a dick. Would you go in or would you leave with them? Depends. That's crazy.
Starting point is 01:58:16 That's crazy. That's crazy. That's crazy, Joe. It depends. That's a tough joke, bro. If you leave, you pull up, all y'all hopped out the joint, y'all. You know what I'm saying? Flexing.
Starting point is 01:58:26 Everybody, we counting up on him. He got all, everybody. His Uber way, all right, back. Cool. Do you pull up to the door that year? We only taking three. And there's 15, y'all? And then you slide?
Starting point is 01:58:34 You just, well, well, I'm gonna just hit you you put your man aside the one that could corral everybody you y'all look bro check it out there I'm gonna just catch y'all in a week just take them near I'm gonna just meet y'all the rule of thumb is y'all pull up together y'all leave together but I'd be lying to you if I said that there wasn't a time that's the other thing about a group you gotta love the whole group equally a few of these niggas you don't really care today can why you don't really care they can't even you're my man's man man I'd be lying to you if I said it wasn't a few times where I turned around
Starting point is 01:59:07 looked seven niggas in the eye and said I'm gonna go head on in try to find the right person to rap with give me five minutes and then you go in the club and gold finger DJ and you go on the second floor every chick you've been looking for is up here
Starting point is 01:59:22 grabbing your dick dance with me take my no oh Joe I'd be lying when you made that I'm talking about a specific run when all in clubs was on 27th Street I'm talking about.
Starting point is 01:59:37 If it used to get, if it was a good night outside, you forget all about them seven niggas. But that only happened to me maybe two times. Normally, we go together. But after that, I'm never coming with y'all again. Yeah. Nick, it was home, guest house, cane, prime.
Starting point is 01:59:52 Yeah, New York was, don't get us to reminisce about war stories. Okay, that's our favorite thing to do all as we age. Be careful out there for Grammy weekend. I look forward to an amazing broadcast. Congratulations to all of the nominees. everybody worked hard. This is the moment
Starting point is 02:00:06 that a lot of y'all worked hard for. So salute, salute, salute. What else? What else? What else? Anything else in music that is important? Because I want to talk about Steph Curry and them,
Starting point is 02:00:17 and them, Tim. That's the only thing on the board that's fucking my heat up. Single-souled Tim's. Like, why is that up here? Now, somebody explained to Mona. And I did see some niggas online that are like, yo,
Starting point is 02:00:28 I never knew that this was a thing. They didn't get it. Oh, I know what you. But don't y'all dare explain that to me. You gotta understand, bro. These athletes, bro, they really be from all over the place. They really never grew up on these same, like, principles. Like, you'll be surprised how many of my teammates really then pulled me to the side.
Starting point is 02:00:45 Yo, Z, like, these are the right, these are right timbs. And I really got to be like, nah, you know what I'm saying? Those are the butt naked. You can't walk around with them. You know what I'm saying? You got to get the gum bottoms, you feel me? Buttnakes, yeah. That's what we're coming up.
Starting point is 02:00:57 So you walk around with fucking no leather on. Yeah, they butt naked. You can't live like that. You can't live like that. You can't live like that. Yeah, for sure. The bobo's, yeah, you know what? The juice boots, yeah.
Starting point is 02:01:07 The boneless. You know what I'm saying? The boneless, Tim. That's funny. They're not, they really not from there. So he really genuinely don't know. He's from North Carolina. They just, they don't even buy Tims down there.
Starting point is 02:01:18 They don't wear boots. It's warm all year around. They don't, you know what I'm saying? I can tell about his haircut that he would wear a single. No disrespect. He got that single, he got a butt-nigger haircut. But even outside, even outside of the. No bet.

Starting point is 02:02:53 You made that much That boy didn't want viral for a butt naked God damn I feel like when you The greatest in the world Did something though Like you should just be judged
Starting point is 02:02:59 differently You should be judged if you're wearing them Tim's regardless of you. Whoever you are. Some things is basic though. I got to judge you just basically off of that, bro. Again, nobody in your world told you that. All the shit I see, he got the double show.
Starting point is 02:03:12 I got you. They say so much about your character. Exactly. Because they're not even that much cheaper. The button next is only $10 cheaper. They're not. So somebody explained to the audience? They used to be like 99 and like one.
Starting point is 02:03:24 They used to be like $10. They're not way cheaper. They're not way cheaper today. They're not way cheaper. They should is right next to each. But Timberlin went up. So everything is hot. Yeah, butters is $2.50.

Starting point is 02:03:58 I don't know, y'all. And the wild shit is, because it was complex sneakers that I saw posted, they set them up. You know, of course, duh. They set them up. They served them right up. The whole internet had been lightened him up. As soon as I saw it, I say, yo, just go to the quotes. Go to the quotes.
Starting point is 02:04:17 Yeah, that's gone. They was going crazy, son. I bought a pair of those before, but unknowingly. Like, I went to buy the regular pier, and then they put some other shit in the box and you don't know until you get home. I had to want to one. I was like 14. I had when I was a young boy. Yeah, I ain't know better.
Starting point is 02:04:31 You're making me snow boots. Yeah, it was like 94 though. It was 1994. Yeah. Yeah, I'm talking about back then. Yeah. I'm definitely talking about back then. Steph, we love you, man.
Starting point is 02:04:41 Get the real shit. Yeah, come on, man. Splurge, splurge a little. Ninety-four? They still look new. I wore them just one time to school. I learned, I learned quick. Oh, they killed me at the fucking butt-necked zone.
Starting point is 02:04:53 Who was the one time y'all wore some fake shit to school? Did you have shirt socks on? No, back then I used to actually. care about how it looked. What was the one time y'all wore some fake stuff to school and didn't know until your homies that order school let you know that that shit ain't through? Some bullshit? I ain't in a little fake shit.
Starting point is 02:05:08 I wore the Sims that used to have pro on it, the construction ones. Yeah, I wore them, yeah. But I bought them at my son. I bought them at series. I bought them at series, my nigga. I didn't know. Like, I did my first little sell candy little, you mean, I'm going to buy my own boots. I'm like, damn, these ain't even that expensive.
Starting point is 02:05:25 You had him at my series. And I was always, girl. I was just talking about that last night. Like, this girl was grown since 10. Where am I joins in school? Kids doing. And I went to school. All the kids from the projects, they fucked me up.
Starting point is 02:05:35 I ain't even make it in the school. They fucked me up in front where the buses is at. Y'all ain't going to hold you. Costco's just dropped the Kirkland Dunks. Oh, yeah, they're hard. They're hard. The gray joints. They hard.
Starting point is 02:05:48 Nica. Not buying them from Costco. No, no. They're hard. They are hard. Put them in the cart. They hard. No.
Starting point is 02:05:56 I saw it. Do I still have my Costco's car? I know I got it somewhere Costco's always to make like hot dogs All right, what else is important What else is important? What else? What else? What else? It's a sad update But I think it's worth mentioning Ray J has addressed the rumors that he is not well Oh, has he? Yeah, and he's confirmed them
Starting point is 02:06:14 He says that he has months to live I'm not doing this with Ray Jain. I ain't doing this with Ray Jare. Joey don't believe it It's not that it's not that I'm just going to tell you what he said He said I'm on eight different meds for heart issues he said that he went to doctors who gave him the bad news
Starting point is 02:06:31 that they're not sure how long he has to live and they recommend he stay in bed and take his medication he could be being dramatic because saying, I don't know how long you have to live that could mean you could live to be a thousand, right?
Starting point is 02:06:41 But he said he doesn't think he's going to make it to 20, 27. And he showed some pictures of him in the bed with all the stuff attached to his body. I'm just saying a lot of people assume that it's bullshit because it's Ray Jey and he does things for attention sometimes. What the fuck is the issue?
Starting point is 02:06:54 People say stuff like that and they say the fucking issue. He says it's hard. He said, his heart, only 25% of his heart. He said he was drinking multiple bottles of alcohol and all types of adorals and all types of shit.
Starting point is 02:07:05 And powder. Yeah, powder. Adderall. Exactly. I'm going to put that powder in anybody. Listen, I'm, look. You put that powder on anybody. No, I don't. It's already in the arena, though.
Starting point is 02:07:17 If a motherfucker's saying, I was drinking a bunch of liquor eating atorole. It's like, okay, you was eating atarole. Congestive heart, too. That's what cocaine does to your heart, babe. That's what cocaine does. It beats it up. It does.
Starting point is 02:07:31 As to other things, I don't know whether Ray J has ever done cocaine or not. Yeah, I'm not putting that on me. What is wrong with you? I'm saying I wasn't, I've never been in a room with him doing cocaine. Why are you trying to cause a don't come record of Ray J. beef? I'm not putting Coke on him, but he'd give a little pile of it. It's not no disrespect to him, bro. Go ahead.
Starting point is 02:07:51 I don't know what he do, but he said the doctor said, the talk to him not the drink or smoke. And he said that's very hard for him. But he's trying to stay on a straight. and narrow and that all this made him realize that he needs to change his way of living, including not being able to see his kids. And I think that's part of his depression right now. I think the whole ploy
Starting point is 02:08:07 is to go get back home. That bitch thing I'm dying. She might let me move back in for the last eight months. That's the whole point. I see you right. Good move. Ah, niggia. Oh, shit. You know, speed. You got the fuck off. See you. All right.
Starting point is 02:08:21 All right. Yeah. You know what I'm saying? Tight. Speak, what's good? Look if I'm bad up here, man. Young money. Yo, y'all watch how y'all big niggas walk in here, too, man. Go down, too, me. You walk in this motherfucker looking like an extra 40 pounds, yo.
Starting point is 02:08:40 Speed of life. He left the Colts and found life. Don't do that. Oh, shit. We're not doing that. We're not doing that. We're not doing that. We're not doing that.
Starting point is 02:08:47 Hey, you're looking good. All right, fine, fine, right, right, right. Anyway. What was we saying now? We was just wrapping a praise. Oh, AJ. Prezzer. Prezzer.
Starting point is 02:08:56 This is too serious of a matter for me to not believe them and say that. Right? Even if it's too much on the line and at stake, I would pray that as much of a jokester and troll, as Ray J is, that it wouldn't be with this and like that. I believe words can speak truth to power. Like there's power in them. Like you can will some shit. existence.
Starting point is 02:09:28 And assuming that all of this is true, I would like Ray J to have more faith in his higher power, right? Like the doctor is one thing, but the doctor is not God. That's a fact. I know way too many people, a lot of people that have, damn, we got so much trauma that have been in this situation before. I've seen many outlived the doctor's projection of their life, my grandfather being one of those people when they told
Starting point is 02:09:56 him he had a year he had four or five more than they went back and he said oh no he's good now he had another seven eight years after they gave him a year I know some other people where they was only supposed to live for a year they on year three uh and I've seen it go the other way where the projection is spot on dead right normally you're going before the doctor even and said that so your will to live is important in those moments it is yeah I mean that's the whole thing I think yeah your will to live is really really really important so Ray J I love you uh I hope that this is untrue in the event that it is. You know, I just love you and appreciate you and all that you've done for us.
Starting point is 02:10:32 So shout to Ray J. Let's see, let's see. So we're done with Step Curry. We're done with Ray J. We did Grammy weekend. Nah, I won't go there just yet. I do have a question for y'all. I don't want to talk about Nikki Minaj.
Starting point is 02:10:51 Thank you. Word. I'm not. We're done. Okay. however however however if you had a trump amex where the fuck would you be pulling it out at like if i had that shit i would be scared to death to pull that motherfucker out with trump face on some shit you're really uh no you could get over a lot of places in that john bro
Starting point is 02:11:17 there's no way where as a black man oh as a black man that's a different situation i'm not talking about where it's cool i'm just talking about where i would feel cool I mean that's because you're in the line with a lot of the shit like it's the motherfuckers that agree with some of that shit
Starting point is 02:11:32 or a lot of that shit they'll be proud as hell to pull that Trump card out yeah if we just putting faces on AMX cars then I got a list of people I want on mine starting with me
Starting point is 02:11:41 what is something I'm gonna do with the Joe MX no I'm just talking about me you want your own on yeah I want my own shit let's bring back that level of vanity I'm with you if you're able to put your own face
Starting point is 02:11:53 yeah absolutely why I can't get one with my girl Girl, that's what really face need to be on. That's just spending everything. Anyway, all right. You guys, anything, anything? All right. That's the end of that topic.
Starting point is 02:12:09 You took it there, nope. I'm looking at the tree. Done. All right, fine. Move it. Can we talk about Don Lemon? Yeah, please. Oh, that's what I was trying to get to with the Grammy shit.
Starting point is 02:12:19 Thank you, Maher. Thank you, Maher. Definitely went to that. Free dime, man. Me and Mark had it. You fucked us up, man. Don Lemon was in Los Angeles preparing to cover the Grammys for the weekend when he was arrested by federal officials. The FBI was involved according to sources, as well as the HSI, which is like the investigative branch of ICE.
Starting point is 02:12:41 Apparently he's been arrested along with four other people for his alleged involvement in a protest at a church a couple of weeks ago. Of course, Don wasn't, as I understand it, talking to him. watching it. He was there as a journalist covering the protests. Right. But they, he's under Trump's thumb right now. He's in the crosshairs of the government and so he was arrested last night, carried away. His lawyer issued a statement saying they're going to fight this. But right now, this is all hands on deck. This is a big charge. Disrupting some religious here, right? Yeah, the argument is that when the protesters protested inside of the church and wages demonstration inside of the church, that they
Starting point is 02:13:23 trampled upon the First Amendment rights of the people in the church, their freedom to practice their religion. The reason they protested inside the church was because one of the pastors is an ice agent and was collaborating to get people locked up. And so they were protesting the pastor in the church. There's
Starting point is 02:13:39 debates about that. I don't necessarily love even tactically going into churches and protests. I just think it's, we end up talking about this instead of the ice shit. I don't love that and then packing a Grammy bag. No, but he was just covering the church. He was just there as a journalist. You said you can't be in both waves.
Starting point is 02:13:57 You can't be late and be... They're not getting it. You can't be a revolutionary and be turned. Mark, is he home now? That's what I'm saying. You got to be merciful. I spoke to his team. Mark, you think you can go to the Ray Carp?
Starting point is 02:14:09 I used to do that. It will snatch your ass. I went from Ferguson to VH1 Live. Okay, but we talked about today. Today? I mean, I wouldn't risk it. But I think, and the thing is, they try to issue an arrest warrant for the people.
Starting point is 02:14:23 the judges overturned. They said no. The federal judges said no. Don Lemon went on the Hill and did an interview and said, look, the judges have said no, but I believe Trump wants me. He's going to go around the law, behind the law. He's going to ignore the judges. He's going to find a way. So Don Lemon
Starting point is 02:14:39 was keenly aware that they were on him. But he's still got to work. And I think there's some value to go into the Gramies and getting arrested in LA at the Grammys. I would have rather been on Monday morning or Sunday night. But like, you know, but everybody saw it. And it's national news. brings awareness to it.
Starting point is 02:14:54 The Trump's had the flight log. Oh, yeah. They show. Yeah, but that shit crazy, man. They locked up another journalist for the same shit, Georgia Ford. But when they knocked on her door, she was recording the shit. Like, they knocked on her door, they had the warrant. They arrested her.
Starting point is 02:15:10 She recorded mostly the whole shit. They're also describing what happened in the church as a riot. Yes, and an attack on the church, which is completely absurd. There was no riot. They weren't attacking people. They weren't even trying to stop people from praying or worship. Again, I don't love the idea of running into people's religious temples and doing stuff. I feel like you could protest outside the church or wait.
Starting point is 02:15:29 Strategically, I just think it's a bad idea because it becomes a distraction. And immoral. Yeah. I feel like, I feel like... But it's stuff on the pastor's giving people away to ice. That's what I'm saying. I feel like that is an example of like the stuff when I say like how we, it was taboo to ask who you voting for and you didn't cut your friends off and voting for the shit. The shit is different now.
Starting point is 02:15:47 If you were a pastor and you preaching, you know, all this shit, the gospel. Come as you are. You cannot fucking sell. niggas out that you have, yes, we need to run down on you at your job, bitch, because you're not a real pastor, apparently. A real pastor would not work with ICE. There I said. So you can't go to the
Starting point is 02:16:03 church just because you have you're about the ICE situation, but you can storm the Capitol. There's an argument that the Capitol's a public facility in the private religious ceremony. You just stormed the Capitol and fucked it up. Y'all was in there wilding the fuck out. I'm with you. What I'm trying to understand is
Starting point is 02:16:19 They took a shit, stole laptops, you stormed the Capitol. That was a And then those people got their convictions overturned. Yeah. But Mark, I'm trying to understand, though. How does you interrupt in the church congregation or service end up being a federal crime? That's where, like, federally, though, that's what I'm saying. Like, in my opinion, if it was something with the city or the state, if he had a warrant or something like that issued in Minnesota, that would make sense.
Starting point is 02:16:44 How does that turn federal, though? Because it's civil rights. It's a civil rights. It's a civil rights violation because they have a civil right and a constitutional right to gather. to gather and to practice their religion. So they're picking and choosing which civil rights people have. Oh, for sure. And it's a lie because they didn't stop people from praying.
Starting point is 02:17:00 That's not what they did. That's the part that shouldn't be a surprise. Like, that's the part. Yes, they're picking and choosing and how they frame one thing versus how they frame another thing. Exactly. We suspect to be in some type of. January 6 people at arrows. The nurse that got shot was a terrorist.
Starting point is 02:17:15 Right. Like shit is nuts, bro. It's absolutely. It's really serious. Yeah, it's like when you're in the funny mirror house and the park. But didn't ICE just get. defunded, then they just took all of funding or no? Is that not true? No, no. I don't know.
Starting point is 02:17:26 They're not been defunded. But they're talking about, you know, they have made some adjustments, but they're, it's window dressing. Like, they're still occupying Minnesota. With a big budget. Yeah, with a huge budget. And the Attorney General, she made us, she tweeted out today, the four people, by the way, all four of people that
Starting point is 02:17:42 were arrested were black. I don't think that's a coincidence either. It's not. You know, so there's just a lot to pay attention to, but we can't be outraged enough at this. This is a big fucking deal. Don Lemon has been has been a thorn in Donald Trump's side since he was an anchor at CNN. So this is retribution. This isn't just about what happened in Minnesota.
Starting point is 02:18:00 This is Donald Trump saying, I'm going to arrest my enemies. I'm going to lock up my enemies. I'm going to harass my enemies. I'm going to intimidate journalists. I'm going to make all journalists an enemy of the state. I mean, this is McCarthy-era stuff. This is like the 1950s, 40s, 50s assault on free speech, privacy, academic freedom, journalistic freedom.
Starting point is 02:18:17 This is as bad as it gets. This is really bad. The president is a gangster. They just put on like a mobster. They just put before Congress a bit and it's a Democratic senator. I forgot her name. But she made a tweak and said, yo, I'm assigned it as long as we're saying that Americans can't be deported. And when the official bill came through, the tweak was missing.
Starting point is 02:18:44 So they like trying to set it up to where you can revoke citizenship. You out of here. You out of here. Yeah. They want to be able to revoke. Especially natural citizenship. Yes. This is a big fucking deal.
Starting point is 02:18:55 I think Don Lim is going to be okay. I think he's going to come home soon. If he's not home, as of the time we recorded this, he was still locked down. Free Don, man. Free a nigga, Don. Don did a bid before, though, right? They locked Don up with some other shit and he was cool. Remember?
Starting point is 02:19:09 I think they did. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I think so. Dona G. Don will be good, man. Free Don. And, I mean, protest, but carefully. Be aware.
Starting point is 02:19:21 Y'all got to be on point there. You're shooting motherfuckers. You got to go to that process. It's not the process that you bring your kids to. It's not the process that you come just so you can vlog and shit. It's the process where you fucking grease your face up, bitch. Oh, man. What a great weekend vibe, man, for this part.
Starting point is 02:19:37 Man, I'm feeling, that's all. I'm feeling so sunny and bright and just, ugh. Oh, so Jason Tatum told me to tell you guys. Sold out of the shoes, by now? First of all. I need everybody sizes. Jason Tatum loved is screaming his size at the camera pause. He also said, Marr, you have to relax in parks.
Starting point is 02:20:04 He said, knock it off. He is not a and Ring LMA's project. That's what it was announced. And y'all shut up. We responded to the moves. He didn't say shut up. He said, I love y'all and I might, but, you know. Good.
Starting point is 02:20:16 Okay. We're all happy. My bad, J.T. We love you, man. unless you're playing the sixes. Fex. Word. Are you taking selfies? I did.
Starting point is 02:20:26 You look good. Thank you. What else? What else? What else? What else? Just making sure here. We did Fad Banks.
Starting point is 02:20:35 I don't feel comfortable doing Kevin Gates right now after the Don Lemon segment. Can I ask you a question, Joe? No. Sure. You wrote something on the board. Me? It was written on the board. Is it weird when folks won't date in the city they live in?
Starting point is 02:20:49 because they're a whole probably. Oh shit. That probably makes sense. It's not weird. It's not weird. I think it's weird when people have rules in general about dating. What you mean? The city living is tough, though.
Starting point is 02:21:02 Not always. Like having parameters for who, what, where, why you're going to date is just as you're I would never date a woman from Philadelphia in my whole life. I knew that from the beginning. I would never in my life ever date a woman from Philadelphia. Why? Respectfully, though. Why?
Starting point is 02:21:16 Because they fucking crazy. And they really could fight. I don't want to deal with that. Oh, that's okay. Like, they are really crazy. But I would never date a woman from Philly. I knew that from a kid. I always knew my wife was not in Philly.
Starting point is 02:21:26 I knew that. But see, that ain't about the city you live in because you could have, you just knew you ain't fuck with Philly with me. You could have been from Delaware. I didn't know I was going to the NFL. I made this decision in sixth grade. I would have been to dope. I didn't know where I was going to.
Starting point is 02:21:37 I knew from a kid I was never going to date somebody from Philadelphia, and I stood on that. I think that's common. Anytime women talk in, you talk to the bitch from Houston. Oh, girl, don't fuck with these niggas down here. Like, people do that. That's because the niggas out of town. You know about you, Ma.
Starting point is 02:21:51 See, but listen, I know that people do that. I'm more so talking about how do those people believe that it's received? No, my, my- Like when you hear somebody say, yo, I don't date in my city. Like, what do they think that says? I ask why. So one of my people's, um. Hey,ish peoples.
Starting point is 02:22:14 She said, no, one of my people, she's from D.C. and she was explaining she said, yo, like the social circle that you're running in, all of the girls in your circle don't fuck with the it boys in the town. Like if you're in a little small town, like if you're in Norke, everybody in Norke, knows everybody in Newark. So if you are- It's not a small town, but, Newark. That's not a small town, by the way.
Starting point is 02:22:35 Newark. Yes, it is. No, it is. It's like a half a million people there. Every city in New Jersey is small town. So if you wanted to hit boys in Newark, you know the other niggas. You know the other niggas. If you are a chick in the town, you're a little.
Starting point is 02:22:47 You know the niggas that's playing in the town. You got to remember that it speaks from like a privilege. I don't think Newark is small either. No, it's the biggest city of New Jersey. It's a popular city of New Jersey. It's the most populated. It's the small town. It's a small town.
Starting point is 02:22:59 The most populated means the most people. Just because it's the most popular. It's not a small place. When we hear small town, we should never think Newark is all I'm saying. Right. Small town is like a derby. Like one of them little towns with like 10,000 people. Yeah, like one of those.
Starting point is 02:23:11 But I'm talking more so about places like Newark. I don't agree with small town stuff. But that's where. I'm like talking about. Yeah, like, yo, dog, if you, if you, if you. 300,000 people. It's 300,000 people. If you're in a certain town and you have a certain demo,
Starting point is 02:23:24 then you know everybody in that demo. So you know the girls in that demo. Your man used to fuck with such and such. Yo, she used to fuck with this nigga, that nigga, this nigga. And so you, it's an uncomfortable thing to date in your town. Hmm. It's not, it's not uncommon. It's not really uncommon.
Starting point is 02:23:38 And you're saying not if you was hoeing. You're saying just regular. If you was hoeing, it just makes it even worse. Because your niggas gonna be horrors too. So you know that y'all means that your niggins that ran through you know bro y'all trying to sit here and leave me on the island I'm not I'm gonna if you if you in Newark if you in Newark you say 300,000 people all right then let's really dwindle that down to your dating pool y'all all playing the same clubs y'all go into the same spots after you mess with one or two people bro y'all all really mixing the mingling at that point 10 or 20 even before that situation you might not want to deal with that type of situation when you go out you might just want to want to have a good time and not be tied down.
Starting point is 02:24:19 You might be seeing how the women or how the men moving in the situation. Every time somebody, you know, everybody, you know, typically like to get into it or cause type of drama. You might not want to deal with that. You know what I mean? You typically might want to date outside of town. To me, that's not crazy at all. I mean, this nigga decided that in junior high school.
Starting point is 02:24:34 Word. If a woman in my dating days told me she don't date dudes in Philly, I would think there's another story to it that I'm not here. I would ask why? No, I would think there's a story. Y'all straight think whore saying. Not necessarily. Hoare.
Starting point is 02:24:47 Thank you. That's what I thought. Hore isn't necessarily where I go. It could be that she got... It could also be that she got a dude in this town. I would think there's something shady going on. It could be that you fucked everybody, but it could also just be that you got something going on
Starting point is 02:24:59 and you don't want people to know. So you're always trying to go out of town. He's going to say, it could be that you fuck everybody, oh, no, I'm going to point in your right. I know you ain't fuck nobody. Like, I know. Oh, shit. He says, you ain't fucking nobody.
Starting point is 02:25:09 Come on. No, no, I mean, like, Mona is a long time lover. She's not, she don't be outside like that. But I'm saying... He says she's a long time lover. They don't believe nothing. I know. You know what's going on.
Starting point is 02:25:20 Exactly. My friend in real life. I bet's y'all. I swear to God I did. But if a dude says that I definitely think. Because he won't hit a lot. Yeah. Or he's married or he got some situation.
Starting point is 02:25:32 Married people tend to date out of town because it's hard to get so you don't get caught. That's what I hear. Yes. Yeah. What? What? You say, you say. He's right about that.
Starting point is 02:25:44 He's not right. I found out on the side bitch because Mark is speaking from privilege because Mark travels the world. The average married man can't go out of town at their leisure to get some pussy. Cap, I knew I was a side bitch because a nigga used always take me on dates. We always went on dates in Cherry Hill. Exactly. Because this bitch was from the badlands. Yeah, if you're from the hood, Cherry Hill might as well be.
Starting point is 02:26:01 You want the nigga to take it to the badlands? Mona, you want to take it to the badlands? It's not about that. It's about that. That's a long 20 minutes. We talk about North Philly. For sure. So before we go downtown to a restaurant or what?
Starting point is 02:26:14 Up the boulevard of chain restaurants or whatever. I'm going to take you to Cherry Hill because I don't want nobody to see me in here with you and then my fucking Puerto Rico Bay mom from the bad land is find out. You can still hear you. That ain't that far though. It's far enough.
Starting point is 02:26:26 You got it, bro. I'm what you is. I ain't going on. You caught you doing that shit. I'm with you. I don't think there's nothing wrong with everybody got different dating boundaries. I feel like if one of your boundaries
Starting point is 02:26:36 is I don't want to date nobody from the town I'm from or where I live, I don't think that's preposterous. Unless you do live in a major-ass city like if Houston or something. I agree with you. I don't think that's wrong with saying that. But if you tell me that,
Starting point is 02:26:47 I'm going to think you've been slinging that pussy up and down Jackson Avenue for the last night, 18 years. Or as a man, y'all, you just want to start from a front, on a fresh slate. As a man, I think you're a bitch if you say that. Except, yeah, because he'll fuck me up.
Starting point is 02:27:01 How do you? As a man, I don't know if you could. You shouldn't have boundaries like that as a man. That's not for men. Yeah, that's a thing. I think it's a girl thing. It's different with you because you're talking about, I don't date girls from me.
Starting point is 02:27:14 here, but that was on some like... You're in the league. I ain't talking about you. I'm assuming your aunts and shit you're crazy. Like, shit you see. My sister and my mom and my aunt, I looked at all in one day and said, you know what? I don't know if the woman for me is here. Because they all cut from that club, I don't know.
Starting point is 02:27:27 That's how I felt in Jersey City, especially when they said everybody had herpes out there. I was like, oh, you know what? I'm going to go. I'm going to go. We ain't but eight miles long. How everybody get the herpes? Easy.
Starting point is 02:27:40 Oh, my God. Did you all hear about the real estate tycoon guy that is accused of offering an indecent proposal to a realtor mom while enjoying an affair? That's crazy. What? That was a lot. That was crazy. Michael accused Poleg of destroying his marriage through the incessant attempts to poach Paige.
Starting point is 02:27:59 Page confirmed her divorce in a statement. My marriage ended for personal reasons, and the claims made in this lawsuit do not reflect the reality of those circumstances. I'm confident the legal process. We don't get a fuck about that. Michael claimed that he and Page never even considered divorcing. until Poleg began to chase his wife. Poleg is the boss, I think. Okay.
Starting point is 02:28:20 Okay. The complaint divulges a specific deal that Poleg allegedly offered Paige in January 25, a glamorous $1.5 million home in Park City, Utah, and a promise to take care of her needs if she left Michael in the dust. Polag left his wife around the same time. Page filed for divorce in February 25, says,
Starting point is 02:28:44 The lawsuit. I know I'm certain that we have a lot of thoughts on this one. Yo. You suing the dude? He ruined his marriage. He didn't ruin your marriage. He didn't ruin a thing. Well, according to him, him and his wife never had anything that could lead to a divorce
Starting point is 02:29:04 until this offer was made from her boss. Guess what? But your wife could have said no to the offer. Hey, Joe, if you always ate cube steak and then magically somebody put a porterhouse in front of you might not want to eat cube steak no more. Or I might want the cube stick, but that's for a state conversation. I'm just giving you an example.
Starting point is 02:29:24 Like, dog, he ain't take you from your girl, nigga. This other man might have showed your girl some other options in a world that you had. Oh, stop it. Please stop it. Please stop this. Please stop, bro. If your wife worked at some type of bank or something, say she was an intern or something
Starting point is 02:29:42 or a secretary at Ernst & Young, And then one of the big bosses came and said, I give you three M to lead his nigga and she left, you would be, you got, I'm suing this, you're tripping. You were, you're su? You were su? Hold on, I got M with myself,
Starting point is 02:29:56 so we ain't, that's different. But, yeah, so I'm sorry. It's a little different. But if I was in his situation, yeah, I probably need some, I need some bread. You already took my, I need some bread from that. You're tripping. And you're going to win.
Starting point is 02:30:08 You destroyed the marriage. It's legal. You ain't moving. It's like, this N I am. It's like, this NIA. I don't feel like arguing. They moved it all the way over. How you figure that?
Starting point is 02:30:17 Yo, dog, we started with, yo, dog, you were in the relationship. He said, yo, we didn't have any issues until X. Right. And I said, yo, but that's because your wife was stuck over here and didn't know that this big magical world existed until she started working over there with Homeboy. Couldn't you get your wife for Alamonia or something in that situation?
Starting point is 02:30:37 No, because she's not necessarily earning that money. She's just spending his money. So you got to get alimony based off on her salary, not based off of the money that she's spent. So y'all, let me ask you a question. With that being said, right? Your wife is drop-dead gorgeous, beautiful, right?
Starting point is 02:30:53 So now she goes in a room where the vultures are. Right. She goes in a room where the sharks are. One of the sharks now bags your wife. That dude ruins your relationship. Ish another fucking false parallel. That is not what this example is saying. Can you all explain to me how the dude?
Starting point is 02:31:11 He explained? How did the dude ruin the relationship, though? Because he's financially... Are y'all acting up to... What are y'all doing right now? I'm not acting anything. No, we just have ability to disagree with your stance on the topic.
Starting point is 02:31:22 We didn't give a stance. We're just saying what happened and you're acting like y'all don't get it. So I'll try this again. Your wife working to bank up the street like he said and her boss made an offer. That's it. What are y'all trying to mumbo jump on?
Starting point is 02:31:34 And your wife has the ability to say, no, I'll pass. I'm with is. Yes. What the fuck is we talking about? Your wife has the ability to say, no, I don't want your $3 million. I don't want to fuck you.
Starting point is 02:31:43 And in the event that she doesn't say that, then he didn't ruin her relationship. She's fired. She's fired. It could be financial, some type of financial abuse. Fuck are we talking about. If you're a employer saying,
Starting point is 02:31:59 I'll pay you to leave your husband and have, yeah, I'm going to. Oh, it's sexual harassment. It's a job issue. And if she says yes, now what? She fucking chose. It's not a shame. It's not.
Starting point is 02:32:11 No, but I'm saying. We're back. Everybody again. We're back. We're back. We're back. We're back. Relax. Relax.
Starting point is 02:32:17 Mark, you wanted to say something to Ish. I agree with what you said. When you finish, I want to diss that couch as a whole. Go ahead. Fair enough. I don't. There's a workplace issue. I think we can all agree.
Starting point is 02:32:29 Employers going to to employees and saying, I want you to fuck me for money or whatever. Do anything for money is a problem. But in terms of my relationship, I think the only thing that's confusing is because it's money. What if she came to him and just had a bigger dick? What if he was just, more handsome? What if he was just taller? Funnier. Whatever the thing is, there's always a reason to entice
Starting point is 02:32:48 somebody to go into another relationship. And if your partner says... That's different from papering something. Indeed. I'm with you, but I'm saying the difference for me, the money makes it a professional problem too. I'm saying at any given moment, I hold my partner responsible for the choice they make. Correct. Not the other person.
Starting point is 02:33:04 That's all I'm saying. So you, along with the newer couch, are saying if ever in that scenario, you're not suing the guy? No. Okay. And that's what y'all are saying to? I don't even see how you can sue the guy, no. That's a real thing. He legally don't see how. I don't see how. You have grounds.
Starting point is 02:33:19 Yeah, you do. And I know for a fact in North Carolina, because it went viral in North Carolina, there's some type of law where you can sue the adulterer, the person that's cheating with your spouse. As far as like, in the claim is to dissolve the marriage.
Starting point is 02:33:36 Like, you come in and try to fuck my husband is the reason why we broke up. And I watched them go through court. I watched every, you know what I mean? Like, they really vlog the whole thing because I was shocked, but that's a real thing. How many people do it take the fuck? I'm just saying in North Carolina, it's a law.
Starting point is 02:33:49 I'm missing something here. I'm just saying it's a law, North Carolina. In North Carolina, you can sue the motherfucker that was fucking your wife. You can. And if you can prove, especially if you can prove. Y'all be too tough on that cow. They are, but especially if you can prove. No, what we're doing?
Starting point is 02:34:01 You're just saying, y'all just be saying whatever on that cows. Standing on principles. What are you up? Yeah. Yeah. Monos making a point, though. Let's let the finish. Leave, Moe moan.
Starting point is 02:34:09 Take the point, boil it up, fucking throw it out. Yo, what we forget. Let Mona talk. God damn it, green eyes! Please let Mona talk. You said they take the thing. North Carolina, North Carolina.
Starting point is 02:34:25 Right. I get what you're saying and does take two to tango. I totally get what y'all are saying it does take two. But in the state of North Carolina for a bona fide fact, if you can especially prove that
Starting point is 02:34:36 this person tried to talk to your mate, that's like to kick off the grounds for the suit. So with the case I watched, they were two couples that hung together, right? So they were double dating all that. And they were able to prove that in some of the videos, she slied her ass on them, just little shit, texting them, flirting them.
Starting point is 02:34:52 And that was enough to start when they really, like, they did the whole thing, took the phones, got all the shit off the phones, even shit they deleted, stripped it. And I think the amount of money was like a million or two million. But you know why? My problem with y'all is y'all get married to like a real basic point, right? Yes.
Starting point is 02:35:10 It's your wife's job to choose. I agree with y'all. There's no beef. If she chooses, it's on her and yada, yada, yada. Cool. Got that. However, if somebody come and offer my chick a mansion and $10 million to do something, and she, in turn, does it.
Starting point is 02:35:30 Well, yeah, I also have a problem with the guy. Someone's getting to me. I have a problem with the guy. Yes, she chose. But I have an issue with that. Let me ask you a question. Let me ask you a question. We're running a play.
Starting point is 02:35:41 There's a big piece that we're leaving out. My man offered her X, Y, and Z. The husband is saying he bribed her. The wife said, yo, me filing for divorce had nothing to do with that. So does she have a saying the matter? She publicly said, no, my husband is wrong.
Starting point is 02:36:00 That's not why we got a divorce. Well, now she has to prove that. That's why somebody has to go. Or he got to prove that that's the reason to go to court. Yes. That's the exact reason. reason that we have to go to court. Because now it looks like my wife is on the side of the poacher.
Starting point is 02:36:15 So now I want to argue with both of y'all. And of course she's going to say that. She's leaving her marriage to go to a new relationship. She don't want to go to this new relationship and also cost him $5 million. That's a fact. On top of the promises and stuff that she still got to make sure that he followed through with. So, and for her, of course, she's going to stay on that and stand on that side because she really just securing her bag.
Starting point is 02:36:36 Mind you, she is so happy that this nigga rescue her from a life of poverty. Go ahead, girl. Yeah, I ain't going to hold you. I ain't going to hold you. That's tough. But you got to pick your chick. You got to know what type of time she's going to do. Checkers and that chest.
Starting point is 02:36:47 Well, up here, I keep saying that most of the infidelity happens in the workplace. So, I mean, you're saying know your chick, but. Yeah. Which means, no. I ain't got worried about this. Until you speaking, it might not have nothing to do with money. Yo, you spending all this time with this. man, he might be way more charming than your dude.
Starting point is 02:37:12 He might be way funnier than your dude. He might have a whole bunch of attributes that your dude don't have. And now they're magnified when I'm spending eight, nine, ten hours with this fly nigger. That's a boyfriend is always... I love to finish speaking. We say we're going to let niggas speak.
Starting point is 02:37:25 Okay, cool. But we didn't mean you. I know. We're going to go home now to this corny-ass nigger when I'm sitting in the office every day with this funny dope nigger. I agree with you, too. Well, then you wouldn't add the paper nothing.
Starting point is 02:37:36 That's what I'm saying. If your dick was that big and your money was that deep and your swag was that high and you had old girl gips off the sauce. What the fuck is you papering something? We're talking about her. I said her.
Starting point is 02:37:48 She is assessing the two niggas. Not the rich nigger. His girl is choosing up. The problem is the papering of the shit. She didn't choose up if some shit is paper. So Joe, would you feel different if it wasn't paper if it was just a bigger dick? Yes, that's a whole different situation.
Starting point is 02:38:04 Yes, that's a whole different thing. I'm asking. I'm asking some trying to understand. Yes, that would be different. What is it about why? What is it about money and particular? All right, y'all acting stupid. I'm done with you.
Starting point is 02:38:13 I'm done with you. I'm talking to say your perspective. Don't understand shit. Okay. What's the difference for you with money? Bro, if you're saying that man got a big package or you're saying that bro funnier or charming, people lose their wives and their relationship every day.
Starting point is 02:38:27 Like that. That's cool. You putting a dollar amount on her making a decision is a whole different situation. And saying, if you make this decision, this is what you get. You'll have this man. After that, that happens. Sorry, Bucco. This is her boss, right?
Starting point is 02:38:42 I don't think you're digging that big. Because if it was, like he said, it was. I think it's a legal issue. If it was, if it was, he would have never had to add the house. He would never have to add the guarantee built in. Obviously, first of all, if you know you're taking some of my girl or something like that and you got more paid, that's already a part of the sauce. You already telling a thing this nigga got you in here working there and now.
Starting point is 02:39:02 You work overtime again. And you was me, oh wait. You was going woo-woo. And the funny shit. That's already the stuff. The funny shit, I don't know if I said it. Well, I might have said it, but the boss is already married. Oh, well, that's guaranteed.
Starting point is 02:39:13 The boss is already married. That's guaranteed. Oh, wait, I did read it because he left and they left in it. Yeah. Yeah, dog. Can I ask you all the questions, especially y'all too? Now, shoot another foot. You're in a relationship.
Starting point is 02:39:24 You're all happy or whatever. Your female boss comes and offers you all that motherfucking money and all the other shit. Y'all taking it? Have we had spirited conversations for a few weeks? Fuck, yeah. $10 million in a minute. Have we been a tutorial local? I might make a different.
Starting point is 02:39:40 No, am I taking the money? We probably try to run a play. I ain't going to hold you. Yeah, I mean, come on, bro. Like, I like that. Yeah. I like that. Cool, I'm going to do this.
Starting point is 02:39:47 And then, man, we go, listen, short this is what it is. That's a great answer. Niggas be wanting chicks to have all the discipline in the world while temptation. But you want her to work at the spot where her boss is saying, yo. Actually, if he was all that, then he wouldn't have put the leave, leave him stipulation on it. Yo, if you keep fucking with me, you get a house, and I'll pay your rent, and I'll do, do, do it. It's the papering of leave your husband, and then you're doing that. Some of these niggas treat women like materials, material possessions.
Starting point is 02:40:18 I want to own you. So, yeah, I want you over here. So leave him so you're mine. It ain't even about the money. It ain't about none of that shit. I want to own, you a piece of property to me. So I'm getting rid of that one. I want you.
Starting point is 02:40:30 It's, it's, it's, the niggas up there look at. That's how you look at it. Did you see, I feel what you saying. Did you see Indecent proposal? I did. Was Woody Harris. like in a great mood after that? Joe.
Starting point is 02:40:40 Like was Woody Harrelson feeling great? Yeah, first of all that ain't going to work out because the fuck are we talking about here. Woody Harrison wanted to kill Robert Redford. The middle of the niggins ain't get no better after that 3-M. I didn't say that niggas will be okay with it. You act like you don't understand niggas. You act like niggas over here saying,
Starting point is 02:40:57 yo, we'll be faring with it. No, niggas are definitely going to be upset. I'm just not understanding how you get to suing this nigger over it. That's it. That's it. The funny part of the sweet is. Bob humble. All right.
Starting point is 02:41:08 Moving forward, right? Move us forward with Mark Glees. I'm done with you and the newer couch. What the North couch is done with you, name? We're done with you. We're done with you. You know, he's out of the conversation. Hey, fuck that.
Starting point is 02:41:15 We're talking. If you lose your- ICE middle name is Sue, that's how I know he just up here behind. You know, we're not talking to you. We got, Mark. If you did, Sue, how much would that, how much would the loss of your lady be worth? Bro, first of them, a lot, but all I'm saying.
Starting point is 02:41:27 No, I want a number. Hold up. But this is what I'm saying, hold up. Think about the other side, though. You just paid Shody four M's. He did. I'm reading the real details. But Shorty, we just discounting the woman.
Starting point is 02:41:39 She said, dog, I was done with this nigga before any of that stuff ever happened. He just kind of got to say that. He says that they never brought up divorce anything else like that. What else are you going to say? I'm a whore. Or he might not have known. Listen, think what you want on the matter. I love these guys no matter how much I disagree with him.
Starting point is 02:41:57 Like, so that's why they keep disagreeing with me, because the love is boundless. What's your excuse? Huh? Huh? Excuse what? Disagreeing why. But why I keep loving y'all? No, why you keep disagree with you.
Starting point is 02:42:07 It's still why I'm gonna be fucking boneheads. That's why. I'm not agreeing with none y'all say. Anyway, time for a monologue. Time for a monologue. Yes, I stole that from the community. Fuck y'all. What are you going to do about it?
Starting point is 02:42:19 It's up. Time for a monologue. A monologue is where Mona Isos for however long she wants about whatever she wants, uninterrupted. That's right. We all got to push on mic's back. Yeah, everybody push your mic back.
Starting point is 02:42:33 It's a monologue. It's a monologue. First of all, that's not true. People at home because y'all are like that. This is a long-winded heifer, y'all. It's a monologue. I am very long-winded. No, I just thought this was interesting,
Starting point is 02:42:47 and I feel like on all my years of internet, I never heard nobody take this take, and he is absolutely right. I'm somebody that talk a lot about, like, in our culture, black people. Like, we put people on pedestals by their title. So your grandmom is automatically the matriot. your brother's your brother, regardless if your brother
Starting point is 02:43:02 fucks your girlfriends and your grandma smoke crack, right? So I'm somebody that told people a thousand billion times that you should judge your relationships of how they treat you versus what the masses say how you're supposed to treat people because you already know, I don't fuck with my grandma. Fuck my grandma. At all? What?
Starting point is 02:43:17 Nigna. Anyway, listen, though, and tell me, I want to know what you all think. And I'm going to tell you what I think too, but listen. I don't know this nigga's name, but I like them. Why is it? No sound works. What do you play it through? You know why it's no sound?
Starting point is 02:43:30 Because I already had it. queued up the way I wanted to do it, and Mr. fucking button said, all you have to do is say that. Like, I was fucking slow. I'd rather do it like this. I'd say this shit to my kids. You feel like your kids should earn it.
Starting point is 02:43:50 I was that kid. My mama didn't do shit. She said she was going to do for me because she said I had to earn it. My mama told me, go to school and get good grades and I'll buy you a new pair of shoes. When I go to school,
Starting point is 02:44:02 they talk about me and talk about my clothes and talk about me, so I punched them niggies in their mouth, and then now I'm fucked up. I get suspended for school. I can't get good grades. So get where? My mama don't buy me shit.
Starting point is 02:44:13 It's a repeating cycle. Mama, you never wanted me to have it. You know I can't go do good right now with these niggins talking to my ear. Go to me. What I did with my son was, if I told you I'm going to do it, I'm going to do it. That's a fact. So what I needed you to do is I told my son, I'm going to keep my part. I bought my son new cars.
Starting point is 02:44:35 I bought my son a $70,000 to Jeep, and he didn't deserve it. gave my son, I'm gonna keep my part. I put his Jeep inside my garage and said, now you gotta earn it. My son went to school and did everything. He's fucking posed to do. But the Jeep actually exists. And I feel like I've seen that before
Starting point is 02:44:51 and it's crazy just as a parent like, I'm almost mad at myself. I ain't ran that play yet. Like that was lit. But it's trifling when you think about it. You know what I mean? Thoughts. I don't like the little smirk you making.
Starting point is 02:45:05 It's you first. I ain't first. Why? I want to hear what the room got. I don't know what you think. Oh, you motherfuckers. I don't need no motherfucking help. What I think is, I think for the most part, no, you're not going to do that.
Starting point is 02:45:18 Y'all not going to do that. What? You're not going to monologue, and I'm the only one to say. I say something. I want everybody to fucking chime in. Yeah, I want to respond to what you think. Nick, I just told you what I thought and you heard me. Then I didn't understand.
Starting point is 02:45:29 I apologize. I misunderstood. What I said was is that I really feel like as a parent myself, because I think rule number one, the parents in his line to them children. I'm almost disappointed in myself that I haven't ran that play on some of my kids that are a little bad. You know what I mean? Oh, I see what you say.
Starting point is 02:45:44 If you backed up at school, you don't get dinner. Look how much I could have saved. Them motherfuckers are bad and I knew that. At the end of the day, it's all the fucking skin. That's what he's saying. Where parents is holding this shit over your hair because they really can't afford it. They don't want to do it or they want to wait out of it. They know you a fuck up so they say, oh, you can't get it if you don't do that-da-da-da-da.
Starting point is 02:45:59 When you wasn't doing da-da-da-da-last year. You understand what I agree with you. I agree with you. I think I think it's a bad. I think it's a bad way to parent. I think you should be giving your kids what do you call it? Not roadblood.
Starting point is 02:46:12 My sons? Like incentives along the way so that you can actually put them in a position to be successful. Saying like if you don't, like my son gets on my nerves sometimes with the whining, right? But if I say like if you don't whine
Starting point is 02:46:24 for 48 hours I buy you a truck, I know we can't do that shit. I win every time. And sometimes I do do that on some shit I really don't want to do if you can stay quiet for an hour. But he's three. He can't stay quiet for an hour.
Starting point is 02:46:36 I'm sitting. them up to not be successful. I think when it comes to important shit, we can't do that. I think that's a bad way to parent. Because they also have a sense of failure all the time. Yeah, that's the thing that stuck out to me. Like, I remember what it felt like, because I had trouble in school the whole
Starting point is 02:46:51 way. I remember when it felt like to go to school and try to do better and I had no fucking clue how to do it. And it was just irritating people would be giving me speeches, and I did not know how to sit there and pay attention and do my work. I didn't know how. All I knew I do was fuck up. That's what I always did in school. So it's like, I just think it's bullshit and it's like that
Starting point is 02:47:07 lazy parenting shit. It's like that black culture like do as I say now as I do shit. You know what I mean? That vibe. Because that's how some of us grew up where it's like your parents did whatever. And they just told you some bullshit. Watching you do all this fuck shit, but then you're telling you don't do it. Yes.
Starting point is 02:47:21 Homeboy said he follows through though. He said that the promises that he makes, he fulfills them. So if you do X, Y, and Z and I have a record of fulfilling that promise, then am I really setting you up to fail? If you say, yo, you bring me home three A's. I'm going to get you. you a PlayStation. You bring home three A's, I go get you a PlayStation.
Starting point is 02:47:41 If you bring me home, do XYZ, I'm going to get you the limited edition joins, and I fulfill my promise. You kind of got to give people incentives to get accomplished. If it's attainable, let's say it. Let me say this. Let me say this.
Starting point is 02:47:57 I don't necessarily agree with you know what, and I was a badass kid in school, but I don't necessarily agree with just rewarding behavior regardless. I don't think you should just get things just because you get things because
Starting point is 02:48:11 that's not life. That's not teaching you a real life lesson. I think a part of that and I ain't, you feel me? I don't know, May man. But a part of that you got to take responsibility for yourself. Just because people are talking to you greasy and I get it. I've been there and I'm from there but that don't mean you got to go upside their head all the time. A part
Starting point is 02:48:28 of you growing and being a better student was you learning how to ignore that shit and just focus on your grade. So you got to take some responsibility that, hey, but I do agree with Mark Sand is you do need to set a sentence for your kids whether that's all, all right, that's the three A's. We all know our kids. Like, you know your nephews and all that.
Starting point is 02:48:43 I got, they ain't getting three A's. You get what I'm saying? So you got to adjust that. You feel me? All right. Go ahead. Get this B. You know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 02:48:52 That's what I get this B. For a little man, they might be get this B. For a shorty, she's sharp. So, no, I need two A's from you. I just need this B. You get this B? Come on, we're going to the part. We're going, woo, woo, woo.
Starting point is 02:49:03 So then you got to adjust it as to come along. I do think. you know it's probably some deeper stuff with his mom not following up not having his back with certain things that's probably where all that come through but at the same time i'm not with just rewarding kids just because i tell myself all the time i'm rich you ain't got nothing you tripping you got to earn it but when i hear that that's not what i hear the first thing i hear is the fact that like like you're peeping at your mom is she's full of shit it's like my sneaks are fucked up everybody know how cruel kids is and you really expect me to go in here especially when my problem already was that i would fight a nigga
Starting point is 02:49:34 So why wouldn't you send him to school with at least the straight up equipment because even when they got to the comments I didn't know school was a fashion show bitch did you attend it? Because that's the thing if you went You know how mean the motherfuckers is and you know how important it is the dress
Starting point is 02:49:48 I know motherfuckers that even go to school with uniforms that's why they didn't feel it they made everybody wearing you for Neil was all about your shoes It's about to shoot It's like on the area you live in the urban area You go to them kids wearing designer and all that I'm not saying like you have to keep up
Starting point is 02:50:01 But like be realistic If you want this nigga to really be able to survive this shit. I want my kid in school hiding his fucking feet because it's like, nah, I'm not teaching you a lesson like that bro. If I wear it too weird, that's just what I'm on.
Starting point is 02:50:12 Like, I've always been on that with mine. Like, we ain't doing that. The only thing I was saying in defense of that mom is potentially, because I don't know her or they situation. In closing. In closing is, I don't know her situation. Sometimes when you don't have, like,
Starting point is 02:50:23 sometimes the parent can't afford some shit and they make it seem like it's a choice. Sometimes when you don't have something, you make it look like it's a choice. Like, you know, I didn't get you sneaks because you bad a shit as opposed to I can get you shit because I don't have it because I'm on drugs, because I'm on all this other shit.
Starting point is 02:50:36 I'm just, without knowing that situation, I don't want to overjudge that parent. But in general, I think just as parents, we should follow through in our word. That's all. I just want, we can wrap it up. No, I'm... In closing.
Starting point is 02:50:50 Yeah. I think that we are, a lot of times parents might not have that money. Like, a lot of us come from single parent households. So if you are going to school and everybody knows their kid, and I know you could do better, but you're not doing better. So we don't got to say three A's. We can say bring me home three Bs
Starting point is 02:51:08 And you just not applying yourself And you not being assertive Dog, that single mother might have struggled And picked up extra shifts for them sneakers So I'm not going to buy you extra sneakers When you're not giving it your all in school Just so you don't get picked on My nigga, this is a marriage right here
Starting point is 02:51:24 You gotta help me, I'm gonna help you And I think that that entitlement comes from You doing whatever the fuck you wanna do And you still getting the fly shit I think it's a fine line between How we handle that situation Yeah, I just want to say In closing
Starting point is 02:51:37 No, I'm playing. Joe's what to Close in the gas That's what you're going to say That's a good Boy, oh boy, man No, listen, nothing I love more
Starting point is 02:51:48 than a monologue Make some low Hey, it's a monologue It's a monologue It's a monologue. Even in the monologue Longwood did
Starting point is 02:51:55 But that was great. That was great. That was great topic. That was a good one I'm seriously. That's good. They say that the toughest number of kids
Starting point is 02:52:02 to have no matter if you have more than this number, or less than this number is, anybody want to guess? Three? Three. I'm so curious. One.
Starting point is 02:52:12 I can see why it would be two. I'll say four. I said one. In the context of this conversation. What is it? You're gonna play it? I'll play it. I'll play it.
Starting point is 02:52:20 What is the hardest number of kids or family to have? Want to hear a not so fun fact? It's been a recent survey done. It's found that moms of three kids experience the highest amount of stress compared with those with fewer or more children. children. The why is really interesting. Yeah me because that's where we've come and stopped. All right. Why is having three kids the hardest? Well one, because with three kids you often have
Starting point is 02:52:47 not experienced the help yet that a well-trained older kid can give to a larger family. And two, it's quite a bit harder to create a team culture in a family of three versus four or five or more. So this reminds me of that famous saying you find yourself in hell. Don't stop. Keep going. In other words, Look, three kids is a huge blessing to a family, but if you think you can stretch it to four, five, or six, it's usually well worth it to keep going. Wow. I knew I should keep fucking.
Starting point is 02:53:15 I totally under. I totally understand that. It just seemed like the wrong thing to tell somebody in this economy. Yeah. But it's, listen. Yes. How you figure that, though? Because kids ain't cheap.
Starting point is 02:53:27 It's expensive. On top of fact, the world's collapses. So it's like, why bring it into this evil-ass place anyway? Yeah, that's facts. I do agree, though. It's just from a family dynamic standpoint, though. Like, once you have, when you got one kid is, all right, both of y'all, somebody got the kid, somebody don't.
Starting point is 02:53:43 You got two is man to man. Then they always say you get three. That zone, they outnumber you. Once you get the three, you honestly might as well just keep going if you could financially afford it. If you got the space and the money to do it, you might as well keep going. That's how I see it. I've always thought that way. Even with my teammates, like, once you have three, y'all, they already outnumber you.
Starting point is 02:54:00 You might as well have as many as y'all really want. at that point, but to me, two is that line. Once you go over a two, is you know what it is? My two scared me out of a third. My third scared me out of the third. And if I have a third, it won't be a fourth. My mother said her one scare her out of the second. I got snipped six months after one.
Starting point is 02:54:19 Yeah, that's crazy. That is crazy. That's crazy, bro. It's not crazy, but I'm saying. With a girl, too, that's the crazy boy. If I was young, I would have. What? No boys.
Starting point is 02:54:28 I got bonus boys now. Bro. I was just such a little. I'm going to have me smart. Bonus boys are rob the shit. The boys are free. My sons is hanging on at the ATM. Um,
Starting point is 02:54:40 off for sports, because I know, I'll speak for myself, I don't really pay attention to all that college hoop shit. However, tonight is the exception, the 31st,
Starting point is 02:54:52 BYU versus Kansas, AJ versus Darren Peterson. If you're familiar with these names, this is one of those ones. This is, uh, Like who used to be Glenn Robinson versus fucking. Fafo.
Starting point is 02:55:06 Yeah, like this is one of those. The projected number one and number two pick. Peterson is no joke out there. He just looks like a pro. There's no other way to explain it. He looks like a pro playing amongst children. And AJ is AJ. So if you're into that, tonight it's going to be a really big matchup.
Starting point is 02:55:24 Shout out to both of those organizations, those programs. What else? What else do we need? What else do we need? Silver is back down again. silver is down what what did they go down 15% so yeah that's what you go by so that's what yeah so yeah that's when you go by buy the dip what these nicks be saying
Starting point is 02:55:47 buy the dip I'm buying the dip they ain't gonna fool me you need silver for the cars you need silver for the phones you need silver for all of this shit and as long as the country looks like they will be in stability, silver will continue to climb. And I don't know about y'all, but this looks like one of the most unstable countries I've ever seen. And we got three more years of it. Why would I not
Starting point is 02:56:12 buy the dip? There you go. Stop trying to run from it, though. Stop trying to run from it. Run from what? You mentioned some bullshit that we wrote on the board that we was ready to jump you over, especially being from Jersey. I'm listening. Oh. Yeah?
Starting point is 02:56:28 Nah. I missed it. I missed it. I missed it. What are you doing? Your sexy red question. Oh, why would I be trying to run? from that. I think that's a very valid question. I got a few hip-hop questions that I wrote down. That's a very valid question. Sure. Well, go ahead and present your question. To the panel.
Starting point is 02:56:42 Wait, with the short ribs. You got to finish part before they start cooking? No. They just always be late with the food. They already started cooking. They started, right? What time are that food going to be done? That means an hour and 90 minutes. That means. That food is going to be done soon. No, he told me 3.30
Starting point is 02:57:02 You guys, we're doing one of the best. shows in the world. Y'all talking about eating. Word. Eat breakfast. Gets on to eat before you're going to work. Jesus. Anyway, my question was, do you all think sexy Reds run
Starting point is 02:57:13 can now be looked at as similar to FettyWops run? No. Absolutely not. And I think when they hear that question, they just go to the size of the hits and how many hits. That matters. That's what the fucking run means.
Starting point is 02:57:30 Is that not sexy red didn't have major hits? Yeah, but sexy red had a bunch of is none on the level of FettyWat. But all I'm saying is sexy red had one year of four and five big records that performed well and it doesn't, and just
Starting point is 02:57:46 disappear. That's more so what I'm talking about. I'm not saying sexy red records versus FettyWalk. The way you worded it. I'm just talking about their run in terms of dropping a lot of singles that have a lot of success
Starting point is 02:58:00 and then kind of disappearing. You don't know what happened. Kanye album is coming. I only bring it up because he is Gamma. Sexy Red is Gamma. So it looks like Gamma's going to be on a Kanye run. I expect them to ignore the fuck out of sexy red. And quite frankly, I just don't see Sexy Red having another year like that where she smacks them out of the park.
Starting point is 02:58:24 I don't see him. Fetty went to jail, though, right? Is that why he disappeared? No, no, no. No, no. No, no. No, no. It's wrong.
Starting point is 02:58:29 So that's all I'm saying. Do y'all think the sex? C Red will be able to repeat that same success that she had in that year. I think it's tricky. I think it's possible. I think it's possible. I don't see it at all. I think it's tricky because I think that her ascension partially is due to the culture that I was talking about earlier where you get a bunch of people to do the work that one artist did at one point in time, the labels.
Starting point is 02:58:54 And I think there's been a lot of people in that kind of lane. And I think Fetty was unique and by himself. And he also had fucking. like three or four top 10 Billboard and rugby Fetty did all that shit before the label He did that shit It was a little different
Starting point is 02:59:08 They had all that shit done But when the label stepped in The music Yeah the music He took like seven songs to the label He had that album He made that album in the crib All right so nobody here thinks
Starting point is 02:59:20 The Sexy Red is about to come back With No I think I think I think I think the style Her style I think is not Interesting to hip hop anymore
Starting point is 02:59:31 great segue to my next question do you think that same thing is true for young thug no are you all crazy prove a commodity right there he's art I don't want to try your artist but he's art he's an artist like you feel me he got way to me way more different lanes he changed flows
Starting point is 02:59:48 he changed sounds he's been ahead of the head of the wave so many times it's hard to think that he won't at least be able to catch up and set another trend at some point even in a different mode you don't feel like post jail with what we all think about Thug and what y'all are saying about him
Starting point is 03:00:04 that there should have been something to make some noise by now. Well, that's because he got caught up in a bunch of other different circumstances. You know what I mean? I think with Thug, it's kind of you get caught up in like today's hip hop now. It's like social media
Starting point is 03:00:18 and public perception play such a huge role on how people, you know, carry and receive your music. Like it's so hard that for like, you know, people to be thinking of feeling a certain way about you and the music not to be around. And I also think a major part that is Atlanta linking back up.
Starting point is 03:00:32 So Atlanta, he'd have hated that. So Atlanta linking back up, that's going to happen. And one other part, real quick, the music ain't been good. Wait, who, for real? Thug. He had a couple of choices. No, that's, I wasn't terrible, but. For Thug.
Starting point is 03:00:46 Yeah, because that's the thing. He'd been putting out what we know Thug to put out. You assume somebody sits in jail and they work on their craft and they come out and they kill. Gunna went through that situation, came home and fucked it up over and over and over. So I feel like the Thug fans, it's been a little bit. ever let down, but I look at it like he just got to get back comfortable. I feel
Starting point is 03:01:04 like when he went through was traumatic. You can see it on his face, even when he did that interview. That's the most of I've ever seen of his personality when he talked to the guy, the Darsan guy. Big, yeah, bank. Like, he really went through some shit. You know what I mean? So I feel like once he get comfortable back in the right zone, I have faith that he'll make great
Starting point is 03:01:20 music, but the music hasn't been great. And I would have liked to see him going to run like Gunna did. Because Gunna really literally fucked it up. To your point? It wasn't trash, but it wasn't thug good. To your point about perception and everything, when Gunner came home, his perception was in the toilet. Different.
Starting point is 03:01:36 Motherfuckers was not, they couldn't wait for that outfit for his shit to be trashed. But the music was so good on that project that you couldn't escape it. But I would argue like, okay, Thug, I wouldn't say his best. He got a lot of great albums in my personal opinion, but his last really great one was so much fun. That was literally just him getting a bunch of his homies
Starting point is 03:01:56 that come to the studio. They're doing a bunch of fly pop and shit. he literally, I think I just seemed like maybe a month ago, literally just got his jewelry back, just got his cars back, like just got some of his cash back. They literally took so much fun of him to like to Moena Point. That was traumatic. Like, you feel me?
Starting point is 03:02:12 So, like, yeah, it's hard for him. Probably don't you feel like making slaps, right? They got all them calls, the personal fucking phone calls where, and I'm talking about, as a man, the worst call you would ever want somebody to hear, everybody heard all 10 of them. You know what I mean? He gossiping, he pillow talking, and y'all court that.
Starting point is 03:02:27 And if you've never been to jail, you don't understand how gossipy a nigga get on that jail phone. He's fucking bored. There's nothing to do. Like, you know what I mean? So it's just to be looked at like he was looked at.
Starting point is 03:02:36 That's a lot. So I don't know. You know, there's no thugs. I hear you all. A whole lot of pleas and a whole lot of cases. Whatever. You do you? A whole lot of kids.
Starting point is 03:02:44 Give me another kid. I've been saying for a while. I think that, well, it's not for the public to understand, but I think that people underestimate the role that thugs, label, and backing had to do with what was going on. I don't know. know if Thug is able to do what
Starting point is 03:03:00 gonna did, which is come out, be alone, and hit every pitch over the fence. Like, I think Doug is going to catch one because he's great and artistic and he's got all the friends. He's going to be all the features. At some point, you're going to get the hottest producer with the hottest beat and you're going to do it. But do I feel
Starting point is 03:03:16 like that should have happened between the time that he got out of jail and now? Yes. Do I think that there's a reason that has not happened? Yes. And I don't just think it's, oh, man, he proposed. Oh, he caught up. No, nigh, shit ain't slapping. Shit ain't slapping.
Starting point is 03:03:32 Like, cause, baby, I know you niggas love that thing. That's it. I love him too. Do you think he can get back there or no? You don't think he can. Yeah, in combination with... The label. Yeah, it's an elixir.
Starting point is 03:03:45 All the pieces at the time. Yeah, the pieces got to go together. You know what you're missing? Because he's on probation now. Can't do drugs. Yep. Damn. That'd do it.
Starting point is 03:03:57 There's also... There's also... He can't talk about certain ways. It's not fucked up, but there's also shelf life on artists in terms of like peak financial number of success. And that's okay. But it's still, from the, front of the, you're right. But from the artistic standpoint of me still being able to put out good music that my fans enjoy, is there a shelf life on that? No.
Starting point is 03:04:19 Because you, the metrics and all that shit, yeah, yeah. But you just putting out projects from an artistic standpoint, I think that if you took, sent Joe in the house for six months and he wanted to. to be a rapper again, I think he'll start to, his pen will come back. You know what I'm saying? So Doug sat down for a long time. What did you say? Don't talk about my pen and your stories
Starting point is 03:04:40 no more. Get your shit back. His pen a comeback. I get your compliment, nigga. And that wasn't a compliment. I don't like your compliment. You had a trainer wheels on for a minute. Don't compliment you.
Starting point is 03:04:48 Yeah, that's what he's. Take my pen out. You said it'd take you about six months. I know, six months. I know, six months. Tell your story without my pen. He said six and not. He said six and not.
Starting point is 03:04:55 He said, that's right. But, yeah. Artistically and creatively, I don't know if you ever hit a ceiling. That's true. No, I don't think so. I don't think so, though. Man, my ain't Pete, Parks. You got to fly, uh.
Starting point is 03:05:09 They fly, you know. Petty. Stop playing with Parks, man. I'm here. I ain't got the dipped in butter. That's what I did my time. This is Young Thug that came out yesterday, the EDM record. If you got time to do an EDM record, you got time to give us a slap.
Starting point is 03:05:27 Young Thug, Fred again, this. record is called USB. I mean, no, I'm lying. This record is called scared. Scared, scared. How could young thug not have a slap? Key ingredient might be missing, man. You're going to come on, kill this.
Starting point is 03:05:58 I like it. He's crazy. That's what I'm saying, bro. I don't wait to talk shit. This is fire. He's going to get in the studio. All his homies. All right to talk shit.
Starting point is 03:06:17 They all about to link up. We see it happening in front of our eyes. They all about to link back up, bro. They all need each other. That's how Atlanta stays strong for so long because they always with each other crutches. Them niggas all need each other. I'm glad they link it back up.
Starting point is 03:06:29 Right. So once they get back together, no matter how much hate y'all want to throw on it, when they get back together, it's going to be what it is. And you're going to throw Drake in a little bit of that. Of course. He's going to be a part of it.
Starting point is 03:06:39 Yeah, because can't none of them niggas be mad to Drake for too long and go stand on their own. I'm not seeing. Here you go. What? It's fair. Young thug ain't gonna come out and fucking ever say nothing against Drake and we know what it is. We know what it is.
Starting point is 03:06:51 Ain't nothing wrong with state in the fact. Anywhoos. Anywhoos. That little EDM shit was all right. That shit's not bad. That wasn't, I didn't play it for it to be good. You tried that? I'm gonna keep it above.
Starting point is 03:07:04 I tried to hate. I was ready. I tried it. I was about to kill it. Dogg out last year was not bad. It was not great, but it was not bad. It wasn't. better than his album that he put out when he was in jail.
Starting point is 03:07:19 That was about... That was all his best slaps just in the tuckie... That jail album? Was he... Businesses business. It's joints on that jail album. I think they're both the same. They're all part with each other.
Starting point is 03:07:29 It was really the ninja song that threw everybody off. He just pretty much calling us all the N-word for a minute and a half. That made me uncomfortable. The first three songs were horrible on the new album. But then, what just got past said? I was like, oh, there's some shit in here. All right, man.
Starting point is 03:07:43 Shows of the old Atlanta. The Isley brothers. The Isley brothers got this star on Hollywood Walk of Fame. Let me hit the round of applause for that. That's really important legends. Legends, man. Legends in the game, man. Congratulations.
Starting point is 03:07:58 Honestly, long overdue, well-deserved, man. Shout to the Isley brothers. Congrats. One of the greatest to all time. I don't have any more music questions for you guys. I think I'm all done with my music stuff. Let me just check here. Young Thugs, Silver.
Starting point is 03:08:16 This Kevin Gates topic we get hit later. I don't want to make any of y'all sad and depressed. Yeah, let's be satisfied. Because that is heavy. It's heavy. Yes, Parks. I like how you did. After the ribs, we get sad.
Starting point is 03:08:26 Thank you. Yo, if you're going outside this weekend, bundle up, it is going to be a degree. No, no, zero degrees, actually. I ain't going outside at all. No degrees. Not a degree in sight. Please bundle up. Mark, buy a coat.
Starting point is 03:08:44 Pull a long johns out. Delay warmers, whatever you got to do to stay warm, man, please. Please. Shout to anybody that's homeless under these conditions. Joe Button cares if Tracy Morgan don't. It is too cold to be homeless right this very second. So my heart goes out to them. Homeless people have been dying and they found seven people dead in New York City during the blizzard.
Starting point is 03:09:06 I think I'm 10, but yeah. Yeah, my heart goes out to everybody. Please find somewhere warm to be this weekend. Shout to the space heater gang. Hey. Still like that? Mike, he got fixed and I still got the space he don't. That's how cold it is.
Starting point is 03:09:19 I'm not playing. Me too. What are they talking about? Not bad at you. Come on, man. And we end the way we started, man. I got fad by hair. Same.
Starting point is 03:09:31 Zane, who you got? Fab or banks? All time. I'm going fab. Yeah. Got. No question. I'm there.
Starting point is 03:09:37 What y'all want? Huh? I got, though. I let a price land you bring. I slide nice days in the range. And my prince. My princesses look like I got an ice train. Ain't a nice way to explain.
Starting point is 03:09:52 A slice cage of the cane. Natsy on the mic. And the kid ain't got no pride. You're gonna mute your bag. Occasional old buyers. Cover the whole tire. Must be because the flow's fire. Passed off through New York like show flyers.
Starting point is 03:10:13 That's why I got to go fab a little bit above banks too, because he started first. True. This is the 90s or somewhere with it. This is 99, 2000. Probably somewhere. I'm going to sign. I float on Monday night. Tuesday I was signed. How real is that? Shout to DJ Clue, Desert Storm, the whole Queens. Jay Cole. Shout to Brooklyn, the whole New York City. Shout to the guys, man. What's everybody doing this weekend? What's anybody doing this weekend? What up? What up? What up? What out? Inside. And I'm breaking my dry anywhere. It's over. Yeah, get you a bet.

Starting point is 03:11:06 Give me a drink. I'm celebrating, you know, like I said, my baby birthday, we got a birthday party tomorrow. Happy birthday, Ari. Happy birthday. That's right, that's right. It's what you want. You're chilling?
Starting point is 03:11:16 You're chilling? You're working. You indoors. Yeah, but you got the velvet fucking. That's that. man. Stop playing. You got the scully to keep you warm. You got the scully to keep your ears warm. The Lord. Mark, what's up? You're teaching? You're traveling?

I got a couple podcasts to do, so I'm halfway staying and halfway going on. All right, good, good, good. I'm keeping it light. I will be in the house. I will be watching TV. I will be snuggled up. Starting point is 03:14:38 When they see the chain Y might not never Yo see what you think about all the rappers Diamonds and shit getting shit it on for the NFL I'm looking at you right now, see what's going on. Yo, why do the niggas be playing with the chains on this shit? Like, they don't be worried about getting snatched off? That's politics.
Starting point is 03:14:53 Eh, it ain't going to do that. Ain't nobody trying to really do that like that now. No more. But what about an accident? Like on a horse collar tip or something? I mean, I don't know. Everybody's friends now. Y'all forgot?
Starting point is 03:15:04 That was a keep to leave back. It was. I know, but then you don't really want, like, do you really want to be the guy that snatched Justin Chain? Well, that's really. No. Yeah, you don't really want to be done. No.
