New season, new name, bigger conversations.
Welcome to Live Lighter with Gina, because lightness isn't something you find.
It's something you create in your body, your mind, your home, and in your life.
Real conversations, no bullshit.
So let's lighten things up for you.
If you're looking to lose weight and you want to keep it off, you have got to check out better
than ever, easy to follow.
We have the most incredible community and it works.
head over to living method.com to sign out today.
Lock it in. Let's go. That's what all the cool kids are saying. Well, that's what my kids are saying. I consider them to be quite cool.
Lock it in. Lock it in. Okay, so here we are week two of the program. Now lock it in. Let's go.
You might not be in that place. You might be in a Gina. I'm just happy to be here. I'm just happy to be here today. Maybe you're feeling super fantastic. Maybe you're not. Lots of
of colds and flus and sicknesses going around. My goodness. We do have a sickness protocol for this.
Basically, take care of yourself, lots of fluids, lots of sleep. Don't force yourself to eat and follow
the food plan. Try to keep it, you know, try to stick to soups or, you know, foods nice and light,
healthy foods. When we're sick, we tend to either not be hungry at all, which is totally fine.
That's your body stores fat for these times. That's what it's there. For your body,
utilizing fat reserves while you are sick telling you are not hungry so it can focus on repair
and rebuild and healing you is not the same as you being fully functioned doing everything you need
to do throughout the day and then just choosing not to eat two totally different things that's where
you can kind of use sickness to your advantage or you will be really hungry and be craving carbs and
sugar the last thing your body needs when you are sick is sugar and carbs but the the feeling
can be really strong, you need water. This is where you need lots of fluids. Your body is
trying to detox the virus sickness, whatever it is out of your system and needs fluids in order
to do that. So no matter how you're feeling today, that's the whole point. That's the whole point.
You, I talked on my checking video this morning, like you want to recognize where you're at.
You want to be patient with yourself. You want to be kind to yourself. You also have to know yourself.
Like, are you looking for loopholes or are you really just are maxed out at your capacity?
So it's worth showing up regardless of whether you can do all the things or just some of the
things or barely any of the things.
You are here and that matters.
So we're talking about consistency.
I'm going to, I got my iPad.
So ask questions.
You've got questions going to roll through as many as I can today.
When we talk about consistency, it's not about being perfect.
I think a lot of people think that I have to drink my 3.5 liters of water every single day.
Consistency is sometimes, you know, just getting a couple glasses in because you're here, there,
and everywhere and don't have time. That's where intentions can be great. If you're, if you know
you're having a busy day, my intention is to focus on getting my water in today. Bring your water bottle,
set, set alarms, use the app, use your watch, use your phone, whatever, whatever you can do
to remind yourself to drink that water. Then you reflect on the end of the day, how did I do?
I really sucked ass at getting my water in. Okay, what can I do tomorrow to set myself up for six,
So you know the things that you would like to do.
Are they realistic?
So you're not just putting this extra pressure on yourself and holding yourself accountable, right?
I've spoken to so many people who when I used to do personal clients who'd be like, I just want to,
why?
I'm like, why do you want to work with me?
I need you to hold me accountable.
I'm like, no.
Oh, no.
No, no, no, no.
That's not.
I'm not here to hold you accountable.
You have to be accountable to yourself.
You have to want to do this.
That's where that big why is really important.
you have, when you really understand why you're freaking here, you are not going to be motivated every day.
That's why you need that strong why. You're not going to be motivated every day to show up and do the things you do.
I like to use the example of school. I'm in school myself right now. I'm actually doing some courses at Harvard.
So I'm doing some school. Let me tell you, I'm not motivated every day to do the school. And that's like our kids.
So imagine if your kids were like, well, I just don't want to go to school today. And you're like, that's okay.
You don't need to go to school. Yeah, they do.
They need to go to school. They need to go to school. They need to graduate, whether it's public
school, high school, whatever, you got to go to school. And so it's kind of the same with wanting to
reach our goals. You have a goal that you want to achieve. You have to keep showing up every day and doing
the things that you need to do in order to reach your goal. Now, you can absolutely be hardcore and still
be kind and forgiving and patient with yourself. But it's about figuring out what motivates you.
What motivates you? Are you like, let's go, Gina? Let's get this.
Mark and Joe done? Or you're like, hey, Gina, I'm here. I'm just going to be really proud of that today.
So you have to find your way. We have a lot of great conversations coming up. Someone mentioned
yesterday and we love feedback. So first of all, make sure you give us feedback. They were saying
that they missed our regular guest, Dr. Dina, Dr. Kara, Dr. Beverly, Dr. Olinka. They're all going to
rest assured. They are all going to be joining us over the course of the program. We're just getting
started the beginning of week two. But we are also introducing some new guests, some new names and faces
and new conversations. Because if you've been with us for a while, you know the science, you've heard
the conversations, you know what you need to do. It isn't really knowing what you need to do.
It's being motivated to do the things you need to do. And sometimes when you hear from different people,
they say things where you're just like, oh, yeah. Like it's great. I love that our resident guest experts,
they know where you are at, they know what you need, they totally understand what you're doing.
But also sometimes it's nice to bring in people who don't know what you're doing so that you're like,
oh yeah, here's this person. I've never seen them before. Oh, yeah, they're saying the same thing
or they're saying something that really is like is opening up my mind to maybe a different way even, right?
So we're going to have a lot of conversations to keep you motivated. All right, let me get into your
comments and your questions. I need to be really strict in order to lose weight.
Yeah, Shirley, this is what I'm talking about. You know yourself. You need to be strict in order to lose weight. If I start deviating, it shows up on the scale. Okay. All right. Let's take a look at that for a second. Because where does shit start to fall apart for you? Like I've worked with so many people who love this, but then the minute they're not perfect, everything just, everything goes to shits. Everything goes to shits. And then they have a really hard time getting over.
themselves to get back at it. It's like the more hardcore you go, the taller and thicker that
wall is that you put up whenever things don't go the way you want them to go or when you stop
being hardcore. Hardcore people also tend to be all or nothing. I don't know if you're like that,
but hardcore people tend to be all or nothing. So when they go, they go hard, but when they fall
off, they fall off hard. And so in knowing that's what you like,
I like to be, I like to be all in. I like to be strict. It might be worth spending some time
with yourself and being like, what does that mean? It could be non-negotiable. So my non-negotiable is
I don't go more than two days without the walk I need to take. That's it. I don't go more than two
days. So if I miss my walk, I make sure I get it in. Right. That's a that's a non-negotiable.
No matter how I'm feeling, no matter what I'm doing, I am.
I've got to, I missed my walk yesterday. I've got to get it in. And, you know, I had a member once
who did like something like six programs. They kept starting, kept not finishing, but they were really
determined. They knew the program works. We know the program works. And then they, they were like,
I'm going to make some non-negotiables because they had young kids. They had a lot going on.
They're like, I'm going to make some non-negotiables. This is so important to me that I get this done,
that above everything else, I need to make sure I'm doing the things I need to do. So non-negotiables,
really help. So I wouldn't look, your problem is not being strict, right? If I start deviating,
it shows up on the scale. Your problem is not being strict. You probably go strict, you go hard,
or go home, but then when and where does it fall apart and what is your plan there? So that's,
you want to actually look at the part where you deviate, because the deviation isn't like,
it's not just having a bag of chips at night, right? It's the snowball effect of you deviating. You
and then what happens. So I would say that's that's the work for you. That's you can you can get shit done. You're you you can get shit done. And so I I used to be like I set the bar so high. That's why there's a ton of things you can do. But you have to listen to your thoughts. If you are really motivated by the thought of oh my gosh, there's so many things I can do here. Let me make a plan and let's do all the things. I love that for you. But if you are thinking for example, maximizing and that is just causing you to be not motivated. And
then you have to recognize that and be like, okay, what are the things I can do that are going to
keep me motivated? This is the conversation you need to understand that you need to have with
yourself. It's really that knowing yourself. Hi, Joni, I'm so freaking proud of myself for showing up.
Life, right? Perfect example. But I don't pick these, I don't pick these comments. I just go through
and I'm like, universe, guide me, guide me. I'm so freaking proud of myself for showing up. Life has been
lifeing for way for way over a year yet i am here you know what i'm saying this past weekend taught me
so much about myself and my strength i am forever grateful to share in for asking me to reach out to
gina and for gina for saying yes my hardest fault so i had an opportunity to hang out with joanie
this weekend at the international plowing match where i had the opportunity to meet hundreds of you
showed up which was just so great and let me talk about that for a second and this is why
community is so important because you got to not feel alone in your journey. You're not the only one
struggling with the things that you're struggling. And when you know you're not the only one,
there is strength in numbers. There is strength in community. And every person I talk to,
I mean, I talk to people who had lost well over 100 pounds, people who had been with us for 15
programs, people five, people who were brand new to the program. And that's where I love that,
I love that saying everyone's in a journey is individual and profound. That's not mine. I got that from one of the members that I had the opportunity to talk to during one of our previous spill-the-tee conversations. And it's just so true. It's just so true. It is your job to take care of you. It's also your job to be proud of you. When you, when you are, when you are proud and giving yourself like props for doing the things you're doing, it actually, there's signs.
behind that in the sense that when you look at the things that you are doing and you are
congratulating yourself, proud of yourself, you are associating these really feel good feelings to
that. You are more likely to continue that behavior. You're more likely. Everyone thinks you need to
be hard on yourself. If you come from the school of hard knocks, right? My dad was like,
my dad's one of my dad's favorite sayings was like, suck it up. You know,
That was it. Suck it up. You just, you got to do what you got to do. And if you come from the
School of Hard Knocks, which this was not just how we were raised, you know, in work environments,
right? Sometimes we think, well, we got to be really hard on someone to make them do the work.
But you want this. Everybody here wants this. You don't have to be hard on yourself because you
already want this. This isn't a job that you hate and you're just showing up every day. This is like
really important to you. So we don't need the pressure of someone riding our ass because,
because we're already here. We signed up, you know.
Happy Monday. What should I change up? Okay. It's interesting that you're asking this in week
one, Martha. So let's get into it. Why can I change up? It's week fucking one of the program,
but let's talk. I love that you ask this. Okay, what should I change up? Multiple program
user, but stalled right now. Okay. Been sick, but is that an excuse or should I be doing more?
interesting that that's the lead that you took been sick so sick in itself can be like it's
tweaks so that when as we move forward in the program we're going to start making changes to the food
plan actually change what you are eating when and then each week will have a different focus
to help you practice being in tune to your body's needs so there's a physical element and there's a
mental element so but sickness basically what we try to do with those tweaks is get the body's
attention and then be aware of how it's responding physically and mentally so when
When your body is sick, you already have your body's attention.
It is looking to detox.
When it comes to fat loss, we're going to talk more about this in the next couple weeks.
Basically, your body is kind of detoxing fat out.
It's releasing fat.
Now, you can't make your body detox.
This is why I don't love detox cleanses and teas and all that because your body is naturally
detoxing on its own.
It doesn't really need any help.
The help it needs is for you to drink lots of fluids, for you to get rest, for you to move
your body, all of those things support the body and detox. But when you are sick, your body is desperately
trying to detox this virus out of your system. So drinking lots of water, getting lots of rest,
keeping your foods nice and light, right? Your body will also, because if you, if you're giving the
body what it needs, and I said this on the check in this morning, we are giving the body what it
needs so it no longer feels need to store fat. Right now, your body's wired in a way where it feels like
it needs the fat. And we are continually teaching the body, no, you don't need it. You don't need it. You
it. You don't need it. Constant food incoming. So detox is detox. Detox is detox. When your body is trying to
detox from sickness, it will also detox fat along with that. Same thing when you get your menstrual cycle,
right? That's also a form of detox. Detox. Detox is detox at the end of the day. So sickness will
help you get there. So here's an example. You're sick, not feeling well. Are you eating? Yes, chicken noodle soup.
but processed chicken noodle soup like Lipton in a box and also downing a box of crackers
and with butter on them.
Right?
Like are you like, I'm sick?
I'm not eating a lot, but what you are eating is not good for you.
Right.
Your weight, for example, could be, could actually be down, but it's up if you're taking
a lot of Tylenol, NyQuil, like any pain relievers, will have your weight up.
So what are you judging this on, right?
What are you judging this on?
Been sick, but is that an excuse or should I be doing more?
So you can be sick and still, you want to help your, more is what?
More is helping your body focus on fat loss.
Like when you're sick is not really the time to really be worried about the scale dropping,
but you can use it to your advantage here.
So this is what I mean.
It's interesting, Martha.
And again, I love this, right?
Like here we are.
We're just starting week two of the program.
you're already perceiving you're not doing enough or you need to do something differently
when we're just in week two and you are also sick.
You're also sick, right?
So I just want, I want you to stick with that.
I think I've eaten the same or similar foods for many programs.
This is really into, I love this today.
Thank you for this one.
This is really interesting because I hear this a lot when people are, they're like,
oh, yeah, I already eat this way.
I already eat this way.
I mean, what other way are you going to eat?
making sure you're getting protein, vegetables, leafy greens, all of that, right?
Like, you're eating in a way that gives your body the nutrients it needs.
So it's not anything.
People are always looking for something crazy and wackadoo and new and fresh with eating.
When you're human, you have a body just has certain needs.
So what does that tell you?
That not that there isn't wiggle room for making change.
So for example, you know, when it comes to protein, the protein that you get,
in eggs versus some egg whites and chicken for the same amount of calories is completely different,
right? So, or the protein that you get in peanut butter versus if you had chicken is completely
different. And so this is where you want to, you could take it to the next level. I'm not getting
enough protein in my diet and really choose like high protein sources rather than what's
convenient or what you like and love. So you, not to say let's start with changing up your food
choices. So have you just been having the same carrot sticks for a veg snack or can you mix that up?
Maybe add some edamami beans, which are great. Yes, or veg also higher in protein plus add maybe a
boiled egg to that. Right. So sometimes people get stuck on this is the biggest mistake that people make
when they've done more programs is they get, they keep doing what worked for them when they lost their
weight on their previous program. Your body has changed. Maybe you're more active.
maybe this is a different season of your life with what you're dealing with the stress or whatever you got
going on your metabolism is much higher so people fall out of being in tune and and focus rather than in the
moment what they need they they try to replicate what they did last time when they lost their weight so you want to
make sure you're not doing that right um it is what works for me because i hate cooking so i do a big batch of grilled
grilled vegetables, variety of meats to eat throughout the week. Okay. This is interesting because you
are like, I think I've eaten the same or similar foods for many programs. It's what works for you,
yet you're perceiving this isn't working for you anymore. So not like you have to do a major
switch up. We just have to be mindful of what you're having when. Same thing with water.
We get used to like, oh, well, I drank this much water. So that's the exact amount of, we get very
automatic. So maintenance is where you want to be automatic, right? We talk about automoticity and
maintenance, like kind of maintaining, but you want to see gains, or lack of a better word,
you want to see losses. You want to see losses. So what can you switch up with your routine?
And a lot of times when we're going to talk about plateaus, because a lot of people want to talk
about plateaus, it depends on how much weight you've lost. You lost a good chunk of weight. Your
body might just need time. But when it comes to plateaus, you want to look at where are you at now,
what does your body, what does your body mean? So if you are, if this is a stressful time in your life,
your foods can be the same, but you need to bust out some more like stress stuff to help your
body come down from your stress. So this is where you got, this is where figuring out where you're at
and what you need isn't just about the foods. It's about what is happening in your life and what is the
focus. What is the focus? Okay, let me finish. I do have nutritious foods all the time and drink water.
I am moving all the time, drinking water, and sleeping when not coughing at the night.
What's the kickstart I need?
Okay.
So the kickstart, again, I love this.
But you didn't talk about stress.
You talked about how your sleep is interrupted.
You talk about how you move all the time, but you didn't say I'm lifting heavier weights,
like what your routine is.
Right?
And then with the sickness, it's you, if you're taking like NyQuil, you're taking cough medicine,
that in itself will have your weight up. Now, does that mean that what you're doing isn't working for you?
Absolutely not. It's just right now your body is focused on something, something else and that
those medications can have your body one retaining water, along with being sick just in general.
Your body's trying to retain water to release the viruses, whatever you got going on.
I know, it's not very scientific terms, but you know what I'm saying. So what can I do to kickstart?
what you can do is look where you are at right now and what do I need. The best thing for you to do
is to feel better. And then probably, probably do more for your sleep because obviously your sleep is
interrupted. So your sleep is interrupted when you're not sleeping. Your body's less sensitive to insulin.
You tend to crave more carbs and sugar. So bump up the water, really get the rest that you need.
Once you start to feel better, moving all the time is not the same as doing concentrated
amounts of building muscle, you know, or retaining the muscle that you have, depending on what
age you are at and where, you know, what your history of dieting and whatnot. So there's a lot there
that you can do. I'm always really weary when people talk about I'm eating all the things and
drinking the water because that's what this week is about. Sometimes it's not eating all the
things. It's changing up what you are eating. Sometimes it's about drinking a little bit more water.
Sometimes for some people's drinking less water. You go lose 60 pounds. Chances are you don't need
the same amount of water that you needed to drink when you started the program, for example,
right? And that's, that's, that's, sometimes we get so stuck on what worked for us before.
We're not really open to looking at what we, where we're at, what's happening right now in our
lives. So in this case, you're sick and not feeling well. And then you got to step back even more,
what's actually happening in my life, my stresses, my sleep, my, what I got going, am I selling my
house? Am I dealing with kids? Am I dealing with parents? Like, what do I got going on? And then
then take a bigger step back. What have I been doing that works for me that I'm so stuck on that
I'm not actually changing? Like portions, for example, am I actually asking those four questions?
You're a returning member. You can dig right into that. So I would start with that. Thank you for
sharing. That's so good. So the kickstart you need is to dig deeper in where you are at. Right now,
seasonally in your life and where you are in your weight journey. Start with those three things.
And then I would go from there. I would go from there.
And that's where you want, right?
This is the, this is the, this is, this is, that's the insight, that reflection.
That's exactly what you want to do.
A perfect example right there.
Rhonda, good morning.
I have to say this out loud.
I have hit a loss of a hundred pounds today.
Tony's cheering for you.
Fucking awesome.
Fucking right.
You have.
Oh my goodness.
Oh my goodness.
Let's just take a minute.
Let's take, let's give me to do it.
round can we do yes a hundred pounds today this is my 12th program and I never thought I could do
this oh I just want to stop right there because I know there's so many people who are on their
journey thinking I don't know if I can do this let's normalize that let's normalize that I don't
know if I can do this along the way the wanting to give up the second guessing being unsure the
plateaus I am sure if we sat ronda down she probably tell us there were lots of moments which she was
frustrated, right? I love that. I never thought I could do this. Thanks to Gina and her team,
this incredible program. I am here and I am never going back. Thank you. Thanks to this community
for keeping me connected, even though I am more of a lurker than a contributor. Oh, I, you know,
that's, I love that you shared that because so many people are part of the community and never say a
word, but community, they're still part of community. Right? There's the people who were in the
front of the room, people were in the back of the room.
You know, everyone else in between.
Oh, my God, I am so proud of me wishing you all success on this journey.
Oh, gosh.
Good for you.
That's the energy we need on a Monday.
That's the energy we need on a Monday.
I love that for you.
I love that for you.
Oh, my gosh, Rhonda, you're amazing.
You are amazing.
You're amazing.
And you did this.
I love the props and the thanks to the team and all of this.
But at the end of the day, you did this.
You showed up.
you did the work, you persevered, you did not give up. This is all you. This is all you. And the not
going back is exactly that. It's don't go back. You have to recognize you are a product of your
environment and the choices that you made. And sometimes you did the best that you could. And you cannot
go back. You cannot go back to old habits, old ways, old things. That doesn't mean you can't go back
to enjoying food. That's not that. You absolutely now need to work on your relationship with
food so you can enjoy the foods that you want to enjoy. And this is a lot of the stuff that we cover
in our maintenance program. I love this for you. Woo! Hi, Sharon. Heartcore was a spiral. I was on for so
many years. Now through therapy, I'm working through the go hard, see no results and then give up
self-doubt and sabotage. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. I'm
appreciate you so much for saying this. I build evidence every day in my journey of all the things I did
do versus all the things I didn't do. And this is why I can be the hardest of heartcore, y'all.
Like, I'm a tourist. I am loyal to a fault. I will follow through. I will dig deep. I will do.
But then I will also be paralyzed by all of that when I'm not doing and then do absolutely nothing.
It's like no, but that's something that I'm continuing to work on is that middle ground for myself.
Middle ground.
Or I've learned to cope.
So I will be all in.
And then sometimes I need to just take a step back.
And you might find that throughout the program.
You might have days where like, I just need to take a step back.
That's it.
And then you come back and you're ready to go.
This is about figuring out who you are, who you are and what you need.
whom do we ask about instructions in Alyssa's 12-week cookbook,
a week-to breakfast batch recipe.
You can join me a conversation when she's back.
I think she might be back this week or next week.
She's coming back on.
I'm kind of just like a cookbook that you wouldn't really,
if you have questions on it,
maybe you can Google it,
but you know,
you can ask here.
We can always help you.
And then I can reach out and ask her.
I do have a direct line to her.
I know some people had questions about her recipe book. Like, can you do a gluten-free? Can you be
vegan? And I just, I was like, hey, people have a couple questions. So if you have any questions,
the team can send them to me and, and I can ask them for you if you want. So you can just kind of
post and say, hey, if you have an opportunity to talk to Alyssa, can you ask her this question?
Then the team will kind of like make note of that question. I'll ask her. And then I'll see if I
can find out for you. I'll do my best. We do our best around here.
Good morning. Oh, everyone's just congratulating you, Rhonda, rightfully. So been showing up every week
and live, but today is really my week one, but I'm here for it. You know, and that's the thing. So we do
these 91 day live kind of pushes, right? Like your journey is year round all day, every day,
until you reach your goals. Some days you're going to be like, I'm amazing. Other days you're
going to be like, what the fuck? All matters. So the 91 days are collective.
energy. We're in this. We're doing it. You're here. There's going to be great conversations.
There's going to be, you know, our things that we're going to focus on week to week.
If you're popping in and out and that works for you. Great. If you miss a week, no big deal.
Pick up where you can. Like, you can't really mess this up, especially with our app.
And, you know, you can search things, ask questions with the AI. So you're never behind.
You are exactly where you need to be. Exactly where you need to be.
Yeah, yeah, I think so. After six years, my meno hit unpause. What the fuck? This isn't supposed to be a thing. Wade has been steadily going down, but then jumped up when this happened. Do I need to up my water? What an adjustment to what I'm eating? Okay. Sorry, what is unpause? Someone is asking to. So if this means that your menstrual cycle came back,
It's normal, but it's not.
And I'm going to talk about that.
We actually have a post on your menstrual cycle because what this program does with routine
is kind of get your body back, depending on where you're at and what's going on.
And if it was like a medically induced menopause or where you are out with that.
So it's not unusual if you haven't had your menstrual cycle for a while for it to come back.
We've seen it happen.
many times and have had people check in with your doctors and they're completely fine because once
your body gets back into routine it helps it addresses your hormones however you do want to make
sure you're checking in with your doctor which I'm assuming that you are checking in with your
doctor but I'm noticing this my menstrual cycle is not coming back I went like nine months without
and then it came back for two months and then I restarted the clock on the year and then my year was in
my year, my day, one day of menopause was in February and I haven't had my cycle come back.
But my goodness, there are times where I can feel my hormones are just like, wow, like, come on.
When am I going to get, when am I going to get over this and, you know, have maintained that feeling good?
Because for the most part, I can feel really good.
And then I have moments where I'm feeling really hormonal.
So you have so many different hormones in your body.
and one hormone being off kind of really affects all of them.
So this is where you really want to dig into that routine.
So what's happening with your body regardless?
Obviously check in with your doctor.
But what's happening with your body is that things are kind of like that your hormones are like an orchestra.
We've had a great conversation with Dr. Alinketrejo if you want to search that out on our podcast.
And it's like your hormones are an orchestra and they all work together.
and when one is off, it affects all of them.
And so that's like internal chaos, for lack of a better word.
And something is at a whack internally.
What you can do to help that is really dig into that routine, right?
Like trying to go to bed at the same time, wake up at the same time, really work on that
nighttime wind down routine, making sure you're getting your water in, the routines of
foods.
Like just try to think super calm and chill on the outside.
will help regulate and balance on the inside. So that's one of the things that we can do is kind of
like dig our heels in a little deeper, almost make things so routine that they're a little
boring so that the body can really focus on what it needs to do. It's no, it's getting its food,
you're staying hydrated, you're getting sleep, you're doing movement. Now, if you used to go to the
gym and do like a hit class three times a week when you're feeling amazing and now you're feeling kind
off. Maybe let's do some stretching and some yoga and go for walks, like adjust in the moment to
where your body is that those are the adjustments that I would make. If you're not all that hungry,
you still want to eat good nutrient rich foods, but it's okay if you're having a week or so where
you're just having small token amounts. This happens to me a lot, especially around dinner.
And I think it's just lately, I think it's hormones, but also stress. I've been under a lot of
stress lately. Good stress, but still stress. And my hormones are a little off. Like last night, for example,
I was like, ripping off clothes and I've said to tone, like, I'm so hot. I'm like going open the window.
I don't have my fireplace on. The fan is on. Like, what is going on with me? And he's like,
I'm cold. I'm like, okay, this is like, this is hormones. This is my hormones. So what's going on?
It's probably because stress, probably because I'm tired, probably because I was go, go, go. And my body's
coming down for that, right? So those adjustments. So I wasn't really hungry for dinner. I was,
he was like, do you want dinner? And I was like, I really don't. Like, my body just wanted to like,
just decompress. And I was just like, I don't really want to eat. And so I didn't come down and
sit with dinner. I'm just like, I'm going to skip dinner. And then a little bit later, I was up making
some tea. And I had like a little bit of like, Tony made this great kind of like beef kind of thing.
So I had a little bit of that. So that's just honor where you're at.
What you don't want to do whenever you're feeling not so great in any way whatsoever is go to
processed foods.
They'll never help you.
They'll never make you feel better.
They won't help you.
So what is like the healthiest thing that I can eat if I am hungry or stomach?
And if you're not hungry, right, just maybe have a little something, something.
But kind of like adjust to that.
Just adjust to where you're at.
Adjust to where you're at.
All right.
Let me see if I can get another couple here.
Everyone's still congratulating Rhonda.
I love this for you. So great. Does drinking water without the lemon have the same benefits? Absolutely. Listen, you know, I've debated taking the lemon water out as a suggestion, but here's why it's so great because it's just so good with routine. Starting your day without lemon water. One, the lemon, the sourness stimulates your taste buds and therefore then stimulates your digestive system. So it kind of like turns your body on and is like,
hey, all right, we're awake, let's go here. It also cleanses your palate. After you have lemon water,
you are less likely to want like a donut or something sweet, right? Also drinking the water
because you're drinking your lemon water and that becomes routine actually gets you drinking
water as opposed to, oh, I should just drink water throughout the day. It does and can help
with things like acid reflux because, again, it stimulates that digestive system. So some
people swear by it and it makes a big difference. There's actually science behind that. So lemon water is
enzyme based from the, from the lemon, whereas apple cider vinegar that does the similar thing is
bacteria based with that cloudy. It's called the mother in it. Right. But it is not a fat burner.
It does not do half the things that like they say it does out there. Like you'll say, oh,
drink your apple cider vinegar, your lemon water, it's going to help you burn fat. It doesn't.
It doesn't burn fat. It does have benefits that have been studied and we know that there are benefits to it.
But if you were all of a sudden to stop drinking your lemon water, it's not going to stop you from losing weight.
If you lost weight while drinking lemon water, not drinking your lemon water isn't going to cause you to gain weight.
So it's, there's, there's, to me, there's a benefit, especially before your larger meals.
Again, that's stimulating your digestive system, especially if you get acid reflux, that can really
help. So your, your digestive system is turned on before you start like eating. It can be beneficial.
But other than that, just drinking plain water is just like water is the way to go.
Just get water. And now, if it's not about more and more water. So if you are sweating a lot,
adding in some trace minerals can be beneficial if you've heard like add trace minerals.
This would be people who live in a really hot climate.
You're sweating a lot, more the summertime.
You don't want to just be drinking more and more and more water.
You want to make sure you're drinking the right amount for you.
You also want to make sure you're getting salt in your diet.
And that's one of the things when people start following a program like the Livy method
where you're cutting out those processed foods.
If you are not salting your food, you do need to get salt in your diet.
So that's why adding in some electrolytes or pinches of some.
salt can be beneficial there.
When you tour this year, will those dates be out in the guides in the app?
That way we can see all the places you'll be in case we're both home or away.
Yeah, so I talked about community and how important it is.
And in fact, that's one of the reasons why I agreed to do a book with Indigo.
It's like, I will do a book, but I want this to be a book that brings our community together.
And it's, so Indigo right now today, I know, has posted a couple dates.
So our big, our big launch is going to be at Yorkdale, October 20th.
And there's tickets on sale.
So Indigo is selling those tickets, not me.
That's an Indigo thing.
But if you want to go tickets for Indigo, Yorkdale, Yorkdale, not Yorkville, Yorkville, October 20th.
And then we're also going to be in Kitchener and then also Oshawa.
And then I'm going to be going probably West Coast in the new year, Calgary, Edmonton, B, C, C,
and a bunch of places around there.
And then I'm going to be going to East Coast in the spring.
So we don't know our West Coast and East Coast dates yet.
But when we do, we're going to add them to the website.
So I have my new LiveLiter website that's going to have a bunch of events on it.
And then we will also add all of our community events as well.
We'll look for a community page.
We'll get to put it somewhere.
Maybe what we'll do is we have the live post each week.
We'll just have a standard pinned to the featured in the group.
group, we can put a community events page and then we can also update that in the app in the weekly
guides as well. So we are also going to do pop up walks. We're going to meet up for walks randomly.
So there'll be no cost to that, for example. We're going to do some classes already booked at the
YMCA with Sherry Perez. So we have, I think, three books. So we'll let you know the dates on that.
Plus, we're going to be a meeting with Good Life on Friday. So we're actually going to be talking about
doing some pop-ups and some classes with them. So we're going to try to create as many community
events as possible. We also will be launching a conference that we're going to be doing,
a LiveLiter conference that I'm going to be part of that I'm doing in partnership with Revolution
Her. So we have quite a few events and opportunities for our community to come together. So I will
create an events page or someplace to keep you updated on what we got going on. All right. That's my time
today one more time. Big applause applause for Rhonda. Congrats. So happy for you. I hope that you're excited
about this week, right? We're building. So what we're doing is we're building on each week. So if you are new,
we're building on what you did prep week and week one. Now we're layering in that consistency and
maximizing. Next week we're going to layer in mindfulness. And then we're going to move forward,
focus on portions. And we're just going to keep building. If you are a returning member and you got
history, we are building on the first group, second group, third group, fourth group, right?
What are you learning each time? The program remains the same. You have changed. You are not the same.
Rhonda is not the same person today that she was when she started. So you cannot just do the same thing.
The program works because the science is solid. You have changed. You have changed physically the way your body functions. You have changed.
mentally with where you are at. You are changing the energy that you are showing up with.
You are changing your relationship with yourself, with other people, with food. You have done
some serious work. You have worked through issues and associations. You've created old habits.
You are now living your new habits. You are becoming that person that you know you already are.
Right. So that's what we're doing here. Show up with that kind of energy. Have a fantastic rest of your day,
everyone and I'll see you later bye. Oh, it's not letting me go. Big dramatic exit. Oh my god,
just bear with me. I don't know what Facebook is doing these days. Seriously, it's not one thing,
it's another. Progress over perfection. Peace. Peace. I heard this really, I was actually,
I actually recorded this today. I have yet to post it on Instagram. I saw Bruce Lee and I was used
to be into martial arts like moit, moitai, moitoy, I think it was, um, and boxing.
And boxing. Oh, I just saw the other day that my boxing coach, so it's so interesting, my boxing
coach from 30 years ago recently passed away. And anyway, it's just really got me thinking about that.
That's a story for another day. I'm going to go. But Bruce Lee was talking about you cannot find peace.
You cannot find peace. You have to choose peace. You have to choose peace by.
letting things go, releasing things, by choosing the things that you are actually focusing on.
Anyway, I'm going to go find peace while I try to get out of here. Have a great day. Everyone else
you tomorrow.
