The Livy Method Podcast - "Eat Less, Exercise More" Is Why the Weight Came Back
Episode Date: September 14, 2026Eating less and exercising more works. That's the problem. You force your body to burn fat because there isn't enough fuel coming in and in doing that, you teach it that it needed the fat in the first ...place. Then it comes back, and somewhere along the way you decided that was a discipline problem.Welcome to the first live of the Fall! Today Gina Livy breaks down the difference between weight loss and fat loss, why calorie math falls apart for women in perimenopause and menopause, and the three reasons weight comes back after you've lost it. She also gets into where GLP-1 medications genuinely help, where they don't, and why food noise and appetite are only part of the picture. This podcast aligns with Day 1 of our Fall Program, members can find video in our Livy Method app or Livy Method Community Group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/livymethodThere is still time to join the Fall Program and there are two ways to join you can purchase the Fall Session for $99, or become a member for $20/month for year-round support, access to every session, Livy AI, member perks and more. New season, new name, bigger conversations.
Welcome to Live Lighter with Gina, because lightness isn't something you find.
It's something you create in your body, your mind, your home, and in your life.
Real conversations, no bullshit.
So let's lighten things up for you.
If you're looking to lose weight and you want to keep it off, you have got to check out the
Living Method.
Our next live session starts September 14th.
better than ever, easy to follow.
We have the most incredible community, and it works.
Head over to living method.com to sign out today.
Well, here we are our first day of prep week.
I want to make sure I jump on time, so I'm just finishing up my lipstick.
I'm going to give some people time to filter into the conversation.
So I am streaming this live on my public page all this week for prep week.
We want to make sure people are getting into the support group.
But moving forward, week one of the program, all of the content, all of the lives are going to be found in the support group.
If you haven't done it yet, you want to make sure you're in the group.
You also want to make sure that you've downloaded the app.
So I'm going to field as many questions as it possibly can today.
Make sure you're feeling good about getting started.
But the best place for you to ask questions is in the app, the AI feature, ask a question, and get a response within seconds.
If you're looking for a more personal response, make sure you're asking in the Facebook support group.
During the lives, the lives are more conversational.
So we don't really circle back around and answer any questions in person on the lives.
Or just more for you to kind of, you know, take part, connect with the community.
There's always lots of great conversations happening behind the scenes.
I'm always so jealous of.
So if you're here, introduce yourself, like let me know where you're from.
If you have any questions, make sure you let me.
you know. Okay. So I had a really interesting question asked by one of our members before the program
started. And she asked, how is this supposed to work for me being in postmenopause versus
someone who is 35 years old, right? And it's such a great question. The living method works for
everybody, I say, if you're human and you have a body, the program is going to work for you.
But how do you make it fit your needs? How does it work for someone who,
who, for example, is taking a GLP1 and someone who isn't taking weight loss medication.
How does it work for a man versus a woman? How does it work for someone who has diabetes
and someone who has thyroid issues perhaps, right? So this is where we're starting this week
with that basic food plan. So that's what you're going to want to focus on is implementing
the basic food plan. Now, prep week is a week for you if you're new to to review the food plan,
ask questions, grab what you need and start making the changes. Some people are going to start right
away, hit the ground running, and some people are going to take a more kind of like ease into it
approach. Either way is good. The goal is for you to feel really competent and calm and are ready to go
for week one of the program. So how does it work for people with different needs? So this is sort of where
if you take a look at other diets that you have done, it was eat less exercise more. So you are
counting calories, right? Maybe weighing and measuring your food. You are trying to hit a certain number
calories. So that works. Eating less, exercising more absolutely works for weight loss. What we are going
after is more fat loss. So that's the different. What is going on? It's fucking day one of the
program. I'm already having issues. Jeez, come on. I want to start perfect.
We also take a progress over perfection approach. Thank you. If you can't hear me, I definitely want to know.
found the last few lives. I had to turn the, turn the volume up. Okay, there we go. Is that better?
I can feel Tony running around. I'm trying to have a very serious conversation on calories in
versus calories out versus the living method. And I can hear them in the background. I'm like,
oh, no, what is going on? All right. Calories in versus calories out. Let's get back to that.
Can you hear me now? Check. Check one. Check two. Everybody good? Seriously, can you hear me now? Yes.
Okay, good. Thanks, Sandy. All right. Calories.
in versus calories in, so you eat less, you exercise more, right? You, your body has to get energy from
somewhere, so you force your body to dip into your fat reserves. That works. Your body burns the fat,
you lose weight, great, except forcing your body to burn fat because there's not enough fuel coming in
reinforces the fact that your body needs that fat in the first place, which is one of the reasons
why you gain that weight back so quickly, right?
This is also why people are talking about making sure you're getting enough protein in your diet,
because when you're just counting calories and you are not paying attention to where those calories are coming from,
you might not be getting enough protein in your diet, just drinking your diet pop and your trit skits,
for example, in order to maintain muscle mass.
So that's the difference.
So calories in versus calories out, great for weight loss.
The problem is it really sucks when it comes to maintaining sustains.
your weight. Weight loss is actually a lot more complicated than that, or fat loss, which is what
we're going after. So fat loss means we're trying to get your body to release fat in a way that you can
maintain more muscle math and in a way that makes you healthier physically and mentally.
So that's more complicated. Yes, okay, what you eat and when absolutely matters. But for example,
what your body is going to do with 200 calories of cookie is different than what your body does with
200 calories of chicken, for example. So what you eat and when absolutely matters. Not only does what you
eat and when matter for your body to get the nutrients that needs or repair and rebuild and make
change and all that, what your body chooses to do with those, those, that food that you're eating,
or let's just say calories that you're eating, also important. And that comes down to hormones.
So your hormones are what tells your body what to do with the nutrients that your body is
consuming. Right? So there's what you are eating and when there is the hormones that are basically
dictating how your body functions and what it does with that food. And then there is your digestive
system, your microbiome, how your body processes and digest foods. So your body is able to break
those foods down and be able to utilize the nutrients from those foods. So it's much more complicated.
Then of course you have to layer on the issues and associations tied into food. So your relationship
with food. And it's complicated because we use food for so many things. We use food to show love.
Here you go. I baked you muffins. We use food to celebrate. Hey, I got a promotion. Let's go out and eat.
We use food to cope. I am sad. I am grieving. Therefore, I am eating. And then, of course, we need food to
actually survive. Right. So that adds that layer of complication on it. And then you add in the layer of maybe you are in
postmenopause or perimenopause or you are, maybe you are pregnant or you are a new mom,
right? Maybe you are 19, maybe you are 90 in issues that come with that, right? Maybe you are
female. Maybe you are male, right? So everyone's a little different. So this is where we're going to
start with that basic food plan that is designed to give the body what it needs. So there's a rhyme and a
reason to the things we're asking you to do. And we've outlined that in the why it works
post. And then as we go, we're going to teach you to make it more.
individual to your needs. So if you do have any health issues in the app, we have a guide in there.
You can search like whatever issue that you have and some, some, you know, content and information
can come up and talk about how to navigate the living method if you are taking gLP ones.
How to navigate the living method if you have thyroid issues. How to navigate the living method
if you have whatever, right? So we're going to start with that basic food plan. And then this is
where we're going to bring in the experts. We're going to bring in a psychologist, for example,
to talk about the difference between, you know, are you just bored and eating out a habit,
or do you have a food addiction issue, right?
So we have Sandra Elliott joining us.
She's a food addiction counselor.
We have a Beverly David clinical psychologist that's going to talk about how we were raised around food impacts of choices that we're making.
We're going to have hormone experts talk about what's happening in your body, especially as you go through different stages of menopause,
which is obviously a big conversation.
We're going to have GLP1 weight loss medication experts joining us as well.
We are going to have, oh my gosh, you name it, personal trainers.
We have the best lineup of guest experts.
We have our resident guest experts.
They always join us.
They're very familiar on the program.
They know what week of the program you're in.
They know the conversations you're having.
Plus, we're going to do posters where you can actually, if you have questions for them,
you can write them on the poster.
I'll make note and I can do my best to ask many questions.
Then we're also going to be expanding the conversation.
So there's so much that goes into weight loss.
For example, grief, right?
No one talks about how hard it is to try to lose weight, but how hard it is to try to lose weight when you're grieving, for example, right?
We're going to have a ton of conversations with our dietitian, Alyssa Steinberg.
Now, I'm not a fan of counting and weighing and measuring.
You don't need it to lose weight.
You absolutely didn't.
This whole program is based on not counting and weighing and measuring because we want you to lose your weight in a way you're going to actually be able to maintain in
sustain. That is the difference. That's what I want for you. Yes, lose your weight in a healthy way,
maintain muscle, all of that, physically, mentally, in a way you can actually keep it off.
Right. So, so everything that we do is teaching you the tools, the skills for you to be able to do that.
And the big part of that is being able to trust when to eat. So I'm, I am hungry,
legit versus I'm eating out a habit, which is a lot of what like nighttime eating can can be.
And we're going to talk about that later in the week.
or I'm triggered or I'm coping.
Let's understand your hunger, right?
And then there is what to eat.
So really knowing when I need a steak versus when I need a salad, right, knowing when
I need more protein, knowing when I need more carbohydrates.
And this is not a low-carb program, by the way.
This is a right carb at the right time program.
And then, of course, there is how much to eat.
So this is where your body's super smart.
It knows when you've had enough.
A lot of times we're just so distracted or just used.
to eating the amount we're used to eating that where you're not actually tuning into when we've
had enough. So our goal is to help you know that exact moment that if you go in for more, you're going to
walk away feeling like you've eaten too much. So everything that we do in the program is always
bigger picture. Always bigger picture. If you're new around here, I'm Gina. I've been helping people
lose weight for over 30 years. So I lost over 100 pounds myself. I was working in the fitness
in diet industry at the time. And I was going through university. So high stress. Working a couple
jobs, whatever. And even though I was super fit, I kept getting weight and weight and weight.
And that sent me to my doctor saying, what the heck is going on with me? And then that sent me
on a mission to figure out why eating less, exercising more, wasn't working for me. Now, I was eating
a lot less. It could have been the foods that I were eating, like muffins when I did eat or
pizza when I ate or whatever were actually adding up to me more calories than I thought. But
the end of the day, I was also exercising a lot. Plus, I had high stress, putting myself through school,
working tons of jobs and I wasn't sleeping. So one of the things we're going to talk about is all the other
factors that impact your weight journey. Hormones, yes, obviously a big one and a popular one, right?
Sleep, lack of sleep. When you're not sleeping, your body can't repair and rebuild and utilize fat reserves,
which it does when you sleep, right? That's the time when it burns the most fat. If you want to talk about
fat is when you're sleeping. And if you're not sleeping, your body's not doing that. This is also why we
want to cut out the nighttime eating. If your body's focused on digestion, it's not doing that as well.
Plus, when you're tired, you tend to crave like 30% more carbs the next day, right? High stress,
you add high stress. Now, we're not cortisol crazy pants around here, right? Your body needs cortisol.
When you make up in the morning, cortisol levels are already high. They need to fall at night.
You want, you need cortisol. Cortisol is not bad. Your hormones are constantly in flux, right?
that we want to make sure your hormones are working for you. So there are other things like sleep and
stress moving your body, for example. You don't have to sign up and join a gym tomorrow, but it's
going to be important to move your body. Why? Because they help with stress, they help with sleep,
and they also help with maintain that muscle. So I lost over 100 pounds 30 years ago, and I've been
able to maintain my weight fairly easily. And so that's what I've done. I have made in my career
to help people know what they need to do to be able to lose weight and also be able to maintain that.
Now, during my lifetime, there are times where my weight has fluctuated, right? Recently, I went
through menopause. Thank goodness. I'm on the other side of that. I'm postmenopause now.
And the program, of course, works if you're in menopause. I went through menopause. At the same time,
I was dealing with a lot of stress with my business. I was dealing with a lot of stress with one of my
kids who has mental health and addiction issues. And I was dealing a lot of stress because at the time my
kid's dad was very sick and then has since passed away. So that is where my weight went up and up.
There are three reasons. Why am I talking about gaining your weight back on the first day of this
program? Because I want you to know there are three reasons why you gain your weight back.
When you lose your weight, one, you don't give your body time to adjust your weight. Your body needs time.
So those hormones that I was talking about need to adjust to the new size of your body.
Your heart, which grows to the size of your body, which is why sometimes when you gain weight,
you have that enlarged heart because your heart is working too hard.
It's why we take blood pressure medications amongst other reasons, right?
So your body needs to adjust.
Your hormones need to adjust around your new weight.
Your heart needs to adjust.
Your fat that your body stores is actually doing work.
It doesn't just sit there and do nothing, right?
And then so what happens is we fall back into our old habits.
We go right back into the things that we did before,
which doesn't give our body time to adjust to that new weight.
To make your new weight your new set point, right?
that's the weight that your body is happy. So that takes time. And before you know, we're going back into old habits.
The second reason why people gave me back and some of you listening today are watching,
are probably familiar with this, right? It happened to you. It happened to me.
Situational change. All that stress that I was talking about, right, with menopause and my kid and my
kid's dad, that caused my weight to go up. I had maintained my weight so easily up into that point,
but then this was situational change. It could be that you move, change jobs, you know, God forbid,
someone passes away. You're dealing with grief, right?
Why? Because we go back into old habits coping mechanisms. It's just so easy to do that.
So this is why making the changes that you can maintain and sustain are so important.
And the third reason really is mindfulness, right? Really we become so disconnected around food from a young
age, for example. And this is sort of where how we were raised. Eat your broccoli. It's good for you.
Well, what if broccoli hurts your tummy? So we learn to eat foods that causes discomfort.
I'm not hungry. So you're going to sit there and eat all of your food. So when you're not hungry as a
child, for example, and you're forced to clear your plate, you spend a lifetime clearing your
plate. So no matter how much is on your plate, you just clear your plate. Then you add dieting to it.
And now we're trying not to eat when we're hungry. We become so disconnected to ourselves
that a big part of this program is you reconnecting and then trusting, right, that when to eat,
what to eat, and how much to eat part of it. So situational change, anything that rocks your world
throws you for a loop. It's so easy to fall back into old habits. And so the reason why
why I'm sharing the main reasons. There are other reasons, health issues and whatnot. You could
have lost your weight fine when you did this program when you were in your early 40s. And now you're
45, 50, you're going through menopause. And you're like, wow, what's going on? Right. So changes like
that, obviously can impact as well. So with that said, I do want to say, I'm not a sugar coder. I'm not a
sugar coder. I'm a bit of a swear when I get passionate about things. I'll try to be mindful of that.
But I, I'm not a sugar quarter. We're going to talk about, we're going to celebrate you.
when you're excited. We're going to talk about being frustrated. Your thoughts and feels when you are
doing this program, that is going to be the insight, right? That is going to be your probably insight into
the things that you need to work on and work through. A lot of people think it's just the food,
just the food, just the food, just the food, when it really truly is so much more than that.
All right. Glad you're talking about gaining it back right away. Yeah. Also, hi, Julie. Nice to see you.
let me see if I can scroll up to these comments. It's been five years, but it creeped back up. I've been so
embarrassed. It's mindfulness to blame. Yeah, listen, there's a lot of guilt. There's a lot of shame.
That's how I felt. I'm a weight locks expert. Here I am teaching people how to lose weight,
where my weight was creeping up right before my eyes. And what did I do? I doubled down on the food
plan. I know what to do. I know what to do. But what I really needed to do was stop, you know,
doing so much cardio and go for walks and start lifting some more weights. The walks really were a game
changer for me because it really helped with my stress. I was going through so much stress. I really needed
to not bring my phone into my room. I need to give myself some time to wind down at night,
indulge a nighttime routine. The biggest thing that I did to make change was said no,
do a shit ton of commitments that year that I committed to. And that was the hardest thing because
some people were really not happy with me. It really messed up.
some friendships and relationships, but I had to do what's best for me. So it wasn't the food that I
really needed to focus on. It was all the added extra stress I was adding to my life, right? So sometimes
it has nothing to do with the food itself. It's everything else. That, in a roundabout way,
is affecting your hormones. So when I first started having these conversations, we talked about,
you know, we would talk about insulin resistance. I'm sure there's a lot of you who are like,
I have insulin resistance. The program is the foundation of it is set point, insulin resistance,
and then working around hormones.
And hormones beyond sex hormones, like all of your hormones, your stress hormones, your sleep
hormones, like you have a ton of hormones in your body.
And the living method addresses all of them.
Step one is to make sure you're giving your body what it needs nutrient-wise.
Speaking of insulin and resistance, and I know I added this on the post, is that with six
times a day of eating, people are nervous because they hear, if you eat too often throughout
the day, it's going to spike your insulin. It does if you're just eating all the wrong foods.
Right. So the foods that we're suggesting that you consume throughout the day. So you're taking
your larger meals and really spreading that food throughout the day. So it's more manageable
portions. You're keeping your energy levels more maintained. They're all foods that are lower on the
glycemic index. So there are all foods that are not going to spike your cortisol beyond your,
your insulin, sorry, spike your insulin more than more than, more than,
your body would just naturally use.
So you really don't have to worry about that.
I just saw a comment on someone saying,
love the F-bombs.
Yeah.
So when I first started these programs,
and that's sort of my intention for today,
when I first started these many years ago,
it was just really to share everything
that I've learned throughout the program.
And we maybe have some shout out to all of our new members.
Hi, you're going to love the program.
It's so great.
More than that, you're going to love our community.
But over the years, you know,
things became more than me just sharing what I've loved.
and became a big business part of it.
And, you know, I tried to be everything for everybody.
The content and information in the app and the guest experts that we're going to bring in
to talk on specific topics, that's where that is, there's a little bit of everything for
everybody.
But a piece of that was me, you know, trying not to say this, trying not to say that, you know,
I've evolved over the years too.
So my only, my only intention for this live session is to have a lot of fun.
get really excited about sharing everything that I've learned about losing weight, you know,
in a way you can add. My mission is in a way you can maintain. If you can try to understand me
from that perspective, that's why I can seem a little crazy pants about things. I don't just want
you to lose the weight. I want you to do it in a way that you can maintain and sustain.
You know, so I just want to share, you know, I got lost a little bit. I know we have a lot of
returning members who are back on the promise that the program is easier to follow. So let me tell
you a little story about that when I started. When I started, it was just me. Now I had this incredible
team. And so when I would jump on each day and go live, people would ask questions. And so I would
create a post. I would answer questions. Well, you know, many years later, we have a book this size,
full of post, and then some. And it got to be the point that the living method was more like a course,
a university course at that. In so many ways I love that because, you know, for some,
people, weight loss is a lot easier said than done. And it almost needs to be like a course for some
people to really learn what their body needs. And this is why it's such a great idea to be working
hand in hand with your healthcare providers along the way. And so for the sake of value,
and I know the program is insanely affordable. But I also say that because I also say that
mindfully because I was at a place in my life where I was so broke. I was months behind in rent
when my husband got sick at the time. I got my car repossessed, trying to feed my kids on
So I'm very financially conscious. We want the living method to be affordable for everybody.
For most people, their coffees that month probably cost more than the cost of the program,
right? A plate of a couple tacos are more than the cost of the program. But I had this thing
where I want to share as much value as possible. And in sharing as much value as possible,
I just layered more information on top of more information on top of more information, on top of more
information offered more and more and more and more, which I can see probably made people feel like
it was never enough. You know, you could very easily get behind on the things that you're going to do.
So we have completely restructured the program. You might have noticed. So this week, we are solely
focused on the food plan for prep week. There was a point where I went back and we had 110 posts
on prep week. Oh my goodness. This, I'm a tourist. Maybe it's a tourist thing. I don't know.
I just want to offer you everything that I can possibly offer you in order.
for you to be successful. But I've learned a thing or two. I would how to do that.
So we're going to keep it so super simple this first week of the program. I do want to talk about
our community. So we're going live this week on my public page. We're all going to shift into
the private support group next week. We have hands down the best community on the planet.
It is the safe space for you to work towards your goals, a place for you to celebrate yourself
along the way. Whenever you are frustrated or you need support, a place to pop in.
It's going to be an opportunity to connect live on these lives, an opportunity to connect when we have
guest experts.
We know that, and I know I've said this the last couple of days on the check-ins, but when people
work towards a goal with a friend or a loved one, a coworker even or part of a community, they
are more likely to be more successful because they are more committed and more motivated and
therefore show up.
And you will find through this entire process.
It's not going to be any one thing that you do that's going to help you reach your goal.
It's all the little things that add up.
I know it's so freaking cliche.
But it's all the little things that add up every day that make a difference.
And some days you are going to feel like you're crushing it.
And other days you're going to try not to eat chips and drink wine for breakfast, right?
So some days are going to be easier than others.
Just keep showing up.
And that's the difference between the Libby method.
Just like other diets, you're going to keep following it until you reach your goal, right?
But we break our, break our dead into these 91 day digestible chunks of time in the fall, winter, spring.
And then we also have our summer club as well.
And this is where you can be like, okay, I'm going to see what this season of my life is bringing.
I'm going to like take this chunk of time.
And then I'm going to follow along on this goal with this community and this program.
So I'm going to be guiding you throughout the program. So that's where the check-ins you're going to find are going to be more guidance. So I'm actually going to share tips with you. We're going to talk about what we're focused on each day. You do not need to watch the lives. That's where I'm going with. So if you watch the check-in videos each day, you review the post that we have for you day-to-day. You're making the changes that you need to make. It's as easy as that. The app is the best way, of course, to do that. You can follow along. You can also track the things that you want to track.
The live segments are not something you need to watch or take part in it in order to be successful.
So if some days there's, I guess, we have on that you're interested in, great.
If you're not, you don't have to tune in.
Mondays are going to be my program day.
So on Mondays, I'm going to be talking specifically about that program that week because as we go,
like I mentioned, you're not going to be eating six times a day for the entire program.
So we're going to be banking changes to the food plan itself.
And then each week we're going to have something like specific.
and different to focus on, right? So that's what the Monday lives are going to be about.
Tomorrow I'll be back. I'll be talking about more of the same going through and answering a lot of
your questions, just because it's the first week of the program. We are also introducing our registered
dietitian, Alyssa Steinberg. So that's new for some of you who might have not been with us
for a while. She's absolutely fantastic. So we are going to be talking about the nutritional sides of food as
well. We're not just going to tell you what to do and expect you to blindly follow it. So we are
expecting you to ask questions, to have discussion, share your thoughts, share your opinions and all of that.
We just like to make sure in the support group it's a really safe place. We recognize it's not an easy
thing to do what we're doing here, right? So we want to provide a place for us to do that. I see you
talking about, you see you talking about water, how much water you need to drink. So this week you
want to focus on just that food plan, getting that kind of food plan down, eating the meals and
snacks in the order. You want to eat enough to feel satisfied in the moments. You're not trying to
overeat. You're not trying to under-eat. If you eat a certain amount and you're still hungry,
go back for more or later, right? The consistency of following the food plan is probably more important
than what you were eating and when and how much you are eating. So I wouldn't stress about that too
much. Routine is the foundation of change. If you think of that living method, basic food plan
as your foundation, and then we're going to build on it from there. Water-wise, you want to drink enough
to be hydrated. Everyone's a little different. Some people are like four foot tall. Some people are six
foot tall. Some people have five pounds to lose. Some people have 150 pounds to lose. So you want to drink
enough for you to feel hydrated. Science tells us 2.5, 2.7 to 3 and a half liters is a good
starting point. But if you're like, what? Oh my God, just probably start with more than you're used to.
Okay, before I go today, I know you have a lot of questions. I promise we're going to get to them.
again, the live segments is not where we circle back and answer questions. So if you asked a question
today and I didn't get to, pop it on the question of the day post in the group and the team will answer
it there. Open up the app. It's so easy, peasy. Find the ask button at the bottom. Click that,
put in your question and a response will pop right up. I do want to talk about weight loss medications
because I know we have members joining us, returning members and new members. Where do I stand on
weight loss medications. So the living method has always been an effective way to lose your weight
without weight loss medications. In fact, we've studied it, right? A team at the University of Ottawa
has studied it. We've presented our findings at the obesity conferences, not just here in Canada,
but our findings on maintenance in Malaga, Spain. The living method always has worked and always will
work without weight loss medications. People are losing a clinical amount of weight. So that's that
5%. Right? Within six months, people are losing that within three months doing the living
method because there is a structure to it. There's a method behind it. Here's where weight loss
medications can come in. They can be game changers for people when it comes to food noise that they
didn't even know that they had and appetite, right? Those are probably the two biggest things.
Research is showing that they can be more beneficial than that, but those two things alone. So dealing
with that food noise, so you can minimize food noise to realize the amount of food noise that you had
before and even get a handle on it or to help with appetite right now I also had a member who said
hey these weight loss medications didn't work for me because I didn't eat because I was hungry
I ate because I had a habit or coping or whatever that is I wouldn't say weight loss medications
make it easier right in some cases they do the issue with weight loss medications is you want to
lose your weight you also want to maintain and sustain it so the living method is about those
sustainable lifestyle changes. They're about working with your body, not against your body,
losing weight in a way where you are maintaining that muscle mass, fat loss versus weight loss.
We know that when people take weight loss medications, they're not eating better. They're just
eating less of what they were eating before. We also thought when people took weight loss
medications and they'd lose the weight, they'd start exercising. But they're not, right? So you want to
lose your weight, yes, you want to lose it in a way you can maintain and sustain and in a healthy way.
So this is where we're all about losing weight in a healthy way. We're about fat.
fat loss over weight loss. This is also where we're working through those issues and associations
attached to food, your relationship with food, with yourself, with others, right? How you utilize
food. Also habits, right? You are a product of your habits. So you've got to change the
things that you are doing and create some new habits that are going to sustain that lifestyle
and that weight for you. And for some people, it goes even more deeper. It's trauma tied into food
and coping and, you know, how they utilize for the relationship with it. So we're also going to get into that
as well. So everybody is welcome on the living method. Everybody. You will find that the program works for
everyone. So the conversation is for everybody. But this is where we're going to teach you how to make it
more individual to your needs based on the conversations and the information that you need. All right. I feel like
this is a great season to focus on making change. Like I feel like I am reignited in my soul. I'm
excited to share everything that I've learned. I'm excited to share all of our incredible guest
experts, our resident experts, all of our new experts with you. I think we're going to have a
great session. We are still open if anyone, if you know anyone, if you're listening now and you
came across the lab and you're like, what is this? I want to sign up. Go to the living method.com.
There is still time. This is just our prep week. If you know anyone sharing is caring.
We like people to sign up sooner rather than later because we don't want them to get too far behind.
but with that said, you can absolutely do this on your own timeline. So if you're not able to start yet,
that's okay. You can start when you're ready. If you have a holiday or a vacation coming up and you
want to go away and enjoy that, the living method is built around that. Right. So you want to fit the
living method into your life, not make your life the living method. So we know in the course of
three months when you're following the program, there's some stuff that's going to make it easy
for you to follow. Everything will align. And they're going to be.
be things that are going to make it more challenging for you to fault. There is never a good time.
There is never a good time to work towards your goals. There's always something. There's always something.
So the living method is built to be super flexible. Okay, I'm going to leave it out there today.
I'm going to be back tomorrow if you want to join me for more. But again, don't feel like you
have to. Again, if you had asked any questions, I didn't answer while going live. Just pop them over
on the check-in post, the pin post to the top of the page in the featured section. And the team
will answer them. Thanks for joining everybody.
have a fantastic first day of the program and I'll see you later.
