Here we go. Welcome to day one of the spring summer 2024 weight loss program. Hello. Hi,
I'm Gina. I'm going to be guiding you through the next 91 days of this program. Welcome to the live.
So first things first,
this live is where we have an opportunity to talk more in depth about the program and the process.
Obviously, if you're following along with our app or Facebook support group,
you want to check in each day, watch the check-in video, review the post,
ask any questions that you have, join us for any of our amazing guest segments. And then join me Monday through Friday,
9am. This is where I'm going to answer as many questions as possible. Now, if I don't get to your question, make sure you copy it and paste it over to the post pinned to the top of the Facebook
support page. That is where you will get all of your questions asked and answered. So the live,
although I love when people participate live, it's the one post where we don't circle back and answer questions in written form. So if you have a question and I don't get to answer it today,
make sure you copy and paste it over on the post pin to the top of the page,
right beside or on the check-in video. Okay, let's get right into it
today. I'm sure you have lots of questions about the Livi Method. First of all, welcome again to
all of our returning members and hello and welcome to all of our new members. I want to address the
new members for a second because there's a lot of information and that's because we take weight
loss real serious around here. We know you have a lot of questions, so we try to provide the
information to answer as many of your questions as possible before you even need to ask. But of
course, at any time, make sure you pop into the Facebook support group and let us know if you
have any questions. Do not be shy about asking as many as you need. We also, of course, have
our amazing Livi Method app where not only can you track your food and your weight and your fluids and your movements and
your sleep and your mood and set intentions and end of day reflections, it actually guides you
through the program and process. We have this amazing AI feature, artificial intelligence,
that has all the information from the program. So if you ask
questions in the Living Method app, that's a great way to get your answers. Now, when it comes to
asking questions in the Facebook support group, I'm not expecting you to sift through thousands
of questions in order to find your answer. So if you just have a question, post it,
the team will respond, Facebook will give you a notification. And it's really as simple as
that. The other big question that I get when we start is if the program is so amazing, why do
people keep coming back? Well, people keep coming back for a variety of reasons. But probably the
most basic reason is because they still have weight to lose. Some people will do one program
and lose all their weight. And some people have more weight to lose. So they have to do more
programs. Some people keep coming back because they've lost their weight, but they're still
working on that mindset. So weight loss is so much more than what you are eating and when it's also
working through issues and associations. It's working through old habits while you create and
support new habits. It's about working through beliefs. And for some people, it's about working through past traumas. Some people also just love the support and the community. They feel confident
in going on their own. They probably don't need the group per se, but they love being part of
the community and they love having that support if and when they need them. So my goal for you
is to teach you everything that I've learned over the last 30 years of helping people lose weight so that at the end of this program, you are feeling super confident in next
steps. Now the program is 91 days long. It is not about how perfect you start. It is not about how
quickly you lose in the beginning. It's about being here at the end. You want to be here for
all 91 days of the program. Now, because the program spans 91 days, chances are there's days that
you might not be able to follow. Maybe you're traveling or maybe you're sick or life is just
smacking you in the face. That's okay. What's great about the program is that you can pick up
from where you left off at any given time. But if you're unsure of how to move forward because
you've had to take time off, just reach out to the team and we'll help advise you. But we are
expecting people to travel and we are expecting people might be sick and unable to follow for
whatever reason. So don't stress about that. Basically, as long as you keep showing up,
you cannot mess this up. All right, let's get into it today. Let's go through some of your questions.
How do we know when a guide is complete and ready to read and that more post won't be added to it. So
we're always adding posts to the guide. So how you navigate the Facebook support group is not
just by scrolling through the feed. We organize everything by guides. So right now there's a
welcome guide you're going to want to check out. It talks about, you know, how to download the app,
how to Facebook lives work, where do you find
our podcast and whatnot.
Then we have the program guide that talks about how the program works.
Now, once you read through those two guides, you can kind of put those aside.
And then we have the daily guide.
So that is where you're going to find all of the information that we're posting day
to day to day.
That's your main guide.
But to make it easy for you to access the
what to eat and when or the food plan and all the information that you need to know in terms of what
to eat and when we've separated that into its own food guide, because that's what people are looking
for today, right? And then of course, we have a recipe guide. That's where we store recipes for
you. If you want to check those out. If you don't, you don't even have to look at that. You can keep it super simple. You do not have to make
any of our recipes. They're there for inspiration. They're also pretty great.
If you do want to give them a go. Moving forward, we'll have things like an exercise guide when we
start to roll out some exercises, which you don't have to exercise. But if you're interested,
we do have some videos and whatnot for you. We will also have our spill the tea guide.
This is where all of our live segments with our members.
So we have this segment called spill the tea, where we invite real members on very real
journeys to have very real conversations with me.
And we'll also have our guest expert guide.
So it's really easy to find the information that you need.
Everything that is new is pinned to the top of that guide.
So you won't have to scroll through all of this information
in order to find what you need to find.
So right now it might seem like a lot,
but as you get going,
you're gonna find it really easy
to find the information that you need.
Plus with the daily guide moving forward,
we organize it by day.
So everything on day one today
will be posted in the day one guide,
unless of course it is in the food plan guide. Then tomorrow you show up, everything will be
posted in the day two guide, because we're not going to add more and more and more to the food
plan guide. That's just whatever is posted in there for you. So you can go back quickly and
review it. The grocery list, you know, all the individual breakdowns of all the meals and
snacks and whatnot. And then moving forward, we post the new guidelines each week. So really,
you want to pay attention to those guidelines. And then the rest of the information is just goes
more in depth. And like, for example, we have this book, this is a really big ass book,
it's available on Amazon, we did sell out over the weekend, but they've managed to get some more
copies up for you today. So if you didn't get your hands on it, you can go to Amazon,
you can pick up our book. It's a lot. Look at all this fucking information in here. A lot of it is
the science post in the back. So we have a lot of science behind the Libby method. It's just not me
shooting the shit and guessing at this. I'm really good at what I do, but there's a lot of science
behind the program. There is also a bunch
of some recipes, I think 12 recipes in here for you. But the majority of the information we cover
in the first few weeks of the program, and then it's just a lot of review and then just moving
forward, focusing on those basic guidelines. So if you're new, it might seem like a lot.
Isn't it fucking amazing what you get for your $75? I saw someone complaining, but it's so
much. It's so much. Yeah. It's a fucking steal. It's amazing the value that you get for your 75
bucks. And we truly want this to be the last diet that you ever do. So all the information is in
there. It might not be all of it relevant to you. You might like, like if you're not pregnant or
you're not looking to get pregnant or you're not a new mom nursing, then you can kind of skip over that post. You know, if you don't have
diabetes, you can skip over that post. So there's a lot of posts that might not be relevant to you,
but the information is there if you need it. Good morning. Good morning. Everyone's saying
good morning. Everyone is happy to be back. Coming into this round with fresh eyes,
adding in journaling to help. So excited.
Okay.
Hello, Jennifer.
If you are a returning member, dive right in.
Start maximizing.
Asking those four questions. You are not messing around.
You know what you need to do.
Also be kind.
Cut yourself some slack.
Make sure you reach out and ask as many questions as you need.
Remember fresh eyes.
Fresh eyes is looking at each new group with fresh eyes, understanding
that you made a lot of change in your previous group, not just physically, but mentally. You're
coming into this new program almost like a whole new person. So respect that, meet yourself where
you are at, and recognize what you did last time might not be the things you need to focus on
this time. Now, if you are a new member,
give yourself time. There is a bit of a learning curve. We are giving you the whole first week to
review the information, ask questions, run out and grab anything that you need and start making
change. So you might be like, Gina, like, how am I even supposed to know what I'm supposed to do
today? Take your time, review the information.
Now we all start today. So if you've opened up your living method app and you're starting to track, but you're like, I don't even know what to eat. That's okay. You should see that progression
in your app. And as the days and you know, week goes by, you're going to pull it all together.
And next thing you know, you're moving and you're grooving and you're doing the things and you're going to pull it all together. And next thing you know, you're moving and you're grooving and you're doing the things and you're starting to see the results. But there can be a learning
curve as there is with anything new that you're learning. Now when it comes to the program,
you want to first of all understand why you are here. Why are you here? There's a couple of things
you're going to want to do. Have a conversation with yourself and ask yourself why you are here
because that is going to be your motivator because you are not going to be motivated every day.
You're not.
You're not going to be motivated to show up and do the things that you need to do unless
you really understand why you are here.
Why did you sign up?
Why are you here?
That is going to be your motivator.
The other thing that I would do, you don't have to do it right now, is take some time
and reflect on your dieting history.
I want this to be the last diet that you ever do.
If you're new to the program, you're going to see that we do things differently around
here.
I think that's a good thing.
I think that's a good thing.
You want to do this a different way.
What makes the Libby Method different is that we don't count, we don't weigh, and we don't
measure.
So you must be wondering, how the fuck are we going to lose our weight?
Well, this is where the food plan comes in.
And there's a rhyme and a reason behind the food plan and the changes that we make to it each
week. It is our version of counting and weighing and measuring that puts you in tune to your body's
needs. So after you are done losing your weight and reaching your goals, you don't have to do
weird shit in order to maintain and sustain your weight. The other thing that makes the
living method different is it's a guided program. So you're not just on your own, just counting, weighing, measuring. There's again, a rhyme and
a reason to this whole program. This process is very multi-layered. It's really super cool.
The other thing that makes us different is that we are focused on maintaining your weight. It's
one thing to lose it. We want you to be able to maintain and sustain it moving on. So it can be a great idea to spend
some time reflecting on your diet history. What is your story? Where have you been? What have you
done? Where are you coming from? Where are you right now today? And where do you want to go?
And spending time understanding that will really help when it comes to understanding the things
that you need to work on with this program, this process. For some of you, it will be the foods, what you are eating
and when. For others, it will be managing your stress and your sleep, also in line with what
you are eating and when. With some of you, it will be feeling worthy. For some of you, it'll be
working through the belief that you actually can do this, especially if you've done this before,
where you've lost the weight and gained it back and lost the weight and gained it back and lost
the weight and gained it back, which by the way, was not you. It was just how those shitty diets
are designed. They're all designed the same way. Starve, deprive, force your body to burn fat.
That's not how we do things around here, which is also why you cannot combine the Libby method
with any other diet. So if you're also trying to do intermittent fasting, you're also trying to do keto and you're counting and weighing, you're
measuring or whatever you're fucking doing, it's not going to work in line with the Libby method
because the Libby method is completely different than any other diet that you've done.
But with that said, chances are you are here because you know someone who's been successful
and you can be successful too. We are out to make it our mission to make sure that every single
person who starts today
makes it across that finish line.
The reality is some of you will not.
Some of you will quit maybe later today, maybe later this week, maybe next week.
Stick around.
I promise you if you stick around, you will not be disappointed.
You will be so happy that you did.
But chances are you will want to quit at some point.
You will get frustrated
at some point because there's a lot of feels that come with this program, this process.
So one more thing before I get into some more questions here is that a couple of days before
we started, I sat down with Dr. Dina Kara Schaefer. She is a learning strategist. She is the author of
the book, Feel Good Learning. And we talked about the feels that you can have when starting a
program and process like this, when it comes to making big change in your life. We talked about how to not
feel overwhelmed with the information. We talked about how to set you up for success. So if you
haven't had an opportunity to watch or listen to that segment, I highly suggest you do. I believe
it is stored in the welcome guide. So you can check that out. She'll be also back in week one
to talk more about that as well. All right, let's get into your questions. stored in the welcome guide. So you can check that out. She'll be also back in week one to
talk more about that as well. All right, let's get into your questions. Grateful for you. I'm back.
Hi, Lydia, 12 pounds gone finally in forever. My fourth round. So stoked. I love it. I love it.
Remember returning members dive right in, right? Like get right back to that routine. You want to
follow exactly as designed, but you're bringing this whole new body into the process, right? Start maximizing. If you have that book, pull out that maximizing
post, get right to it, get right to it. All right. Good morning. Good morning. Let me scroll,
see if we have any questions. A lot of you just excited to be back. Isn't it fun? Isn't it such
great energy? It's a whole vibe. When have you ever been so excited to do a diet? Good morning. Hi, Risa. I'm
celebrating my one year Gina anniversary. I love this back for my fourth program and getting so
close to my goal. Welcome to all the new members. You will learn so much and realize that weight
loss is so much more than what we eat and exercise. Yes. So you know what, one of the reasons I love
the lives is this is where you're going to have an opportunity, especially if you're joining us live or you're watching it
after the fact and you are reading the comments is we have so many of our amazing returning members
being so generous with their shares. You're going to realize that you are not alone in this
and our members become super, super knowledgeable. And this is a very safe space for you to show up every day. We are
going to be here for you and champion for you when you are excited and that scale is moving and
grooving. And we're going to be here to support you when you feel like, you know, F this, like,
I feel like quitting. We're going to be there to support you every single day and every step of
the way. Being part of our community is such a huge part of that. I
know there are thousands of you just using our amazing Libby Method app because based on our
numbers, we're missing half the group in the Facebook support group. But what's happening
is that more people are deciding to just use our app. And if you are listening to this by way of
our app, I love that for you. But you might want to think about joining the Facebook support group
because that is where you can find our amazing community and where you can find that support.
Now, when it does come to you asking questions, you might have some of our members reaching out
and helping you with that support, but we always go through and you will always receive a response
from someone on our team as well. So I want you to rest assured that it's not just anyone and everyone
answering questions that you have.
Our members are really great for showing support,
but we do have our amazing team of program specialists
who are going to be there
to answer any questions that you have.
I saw someone else this morning
celebrating their one year Gina anniversary.
Ginaversary.
Down 50 pounds.
Oh my goodness.
Okay, let's get in and see if I got any of these questions.
Good morning. Glad to be back on track. I did so well in the fall program, but sucked at the winter.
The online thing that surprised me was that even though I fell through the cracks of the winter program, I didn't gain any weight. I stayed at the same weight as when I finished in the fall.
I'm back and I've got this. Hi, Sonia. Absolutely you do.
So different. So we break our program down into 91 day increments. And again, like, just like I said, any other diet, you start it, you follow through until you reach your goal. The living
method is no different. We just break it down into 91 day digestible chunks of time. And also
that's a benefit for you. So we don't just make you sign up for a year if you don't need it. We don't keep taking money out of your account. You know, you get to sign up for $75, 91 days,
that's it. You want to do it again, you do it again for as many times as you need. And it's
really as simple as that. But life has this amazing way of getting in the way. And just like
there are different seasons of our program, we have our fall, winter, spring, summer, there are
different seasons of your life.
And there are some times in your life where it is much easier to focus on yourself and do the
things that you need to do than other times in your life. You know, and this is why I say as
long as you show up, you can't mess it up. The living method is really cool in the sense that
it's something that you can feel really good about, because it makes you prioritize yourself,
right? It makes you make choices that make you feel good, about because it makes you prioritize yourself, right?
It makes you make choices that make you feel good, you know, that fall in line with your goals.
So you might not be able to do all of the things, but the things that you are focused
on are definitely worth doing, especially when life is hard, managing your stress, managing
your sleep.
So the little things that you're doing are adding up and making a big difference. And the way that you lose your weights, it matters. It matters. And that's why you lost
that weight and didn't gain it all back because you've made real foundational change physically
in the way that your body functions mentally. And then also in the choices that you're making
day to day to day. This is why the living method is different than any other diet. So I love that for you.
Now we're going to talk a lot about maintenance at the end of the program. So let's not get ahead
of ourselves for any of you who are wondering, oh my gosh, am I going to be able to maintain
your weight? We're going to teach you everything that you need to know about that. Plus we have
a whole maintenance group and we're working on a whole structured maintenance program that'll
be available for you as well. So don't worry about maintenance. Focus on showing up every single day
and losing your weight because we're going to cover maintenance in the end.
Happy first day. Hi, Janice. This is my first time catching you live. Do you know? Hello. I'm
so excited for this round. I got my cousin Amanda on board and we are excited to go. So many of you are back with friends and family. I love that.
Listen, your vibe attracts your tribe. I think this is what, again, you know, is one of the
reasons why the living method, you know, it's all about not feeling alone because I know that you
can live in a house full of people and feel very alone. And especially with the diet industry right now, it's kind of got some weird vibes out there where dieting isn't cool. And we know that diets have
been detrimental to our health. So it's not really a cool thing to do. It's not really a cool thing
to talk about, though it's not stopping anyone from trying because the diet industry is just
making more and more and more and more money. So it's great when you know people that you can,
you know, follow along with if you got your own chat groups going, or I see you guys with your
own WhatsApp and your Facebook groups and whatnot. I love that. I love that. We know that when people
do this with other people, they are statistically, you know, more successful. But if that is not you,
and you don't know anybody here, and you feel really alone in your journey, I want you to understand that I'm here for you.
And we have a whole team of amazing people who are here for you. So please don't be shy about
reaching out. Because we really do want you to be successful. And I think talk about the diet
industry, a lot of times people feel like the diet industry is against them. And of course,
they are, they want you to keep coming back, They want you to fail because they want you to keep paying them.
They want you to keep that lifetime membership.
That is not us.
We really, truly want you to lose your weight in a healthy, sustainable way and then move
on with the rest of your life.
We don't want you to keep coming back.
Of course, we want you to keep coming back as many times as you need until you reach
your goal.
But we truly want you to be successful because I feel like if you are successful, you're going to go tell your friends and your family and your coworkers.
And then they're going to come and sign up for our program.
So I don't got to keep taking money out of your bank account.
You know, you can go live your life.
And then you're going to share with other people that you know, you know, and that's how it kind of works.
So we really, truly want you to be successful. life goes. New father, new routines, new locations. What matters is that you have something there to
adapt with you, whether you need a challenge or rest. And Peloton has everything you need,
whenever you need it. Find your push. Find your power. Peloton. Visit Peloton at onepeloton.ca.
Good morning. Glad to be back. Blew off the last group, but I'm back to get going. It happens.
So we're going to talk a lot about this and you're going to, if you're new, you're going to
really realize I'm real honest. I am the worst salesperson for my program. Some people are going
to crush the program and process. In fact, the majority of people are like, yeah, that was so
easy. But so many people do struggle for so many reasons. We've actually talked to people who signed
up for a program, didn't follow through, didn't
finish, came back, crushed it, reached their goals.
We've heard from people who did their first program, crushed it, second program, you know,
didn't even follow, came back, third program, off to crush their goals.
When we have our discussions with our members and we highlight our Libby losers, our members
of the week and whatnot, we highlight really real people who've been on very real journeys. And we definitely don't look for those
people who it was sunshine and rainbows, although that's amazing. And I'm so happy for them,
but they aren't necessarily the people that need our help and the focus, right? So we tend to really
focus on people who are struggling because we do think there's a little bit of info there for
everybody to benefit from even the people who are doing really well. But we are going to get into it. We are going to talk
about the physical reasons why, you know, your weight might be slower to move. Obviously, it's
way too early to tell yet. We're also going to talk about the mental reasons why it can be so
difficult for some people on their journey. So we're going to get into this with our amazing guest experts. We have doctors, we have psychologists, we have sleep experts. We're
going to get into that. But right now you need to really just focus on that basic food plan.
That's the kind of the foundation of the program is starting to follow the basic food plan and then
allowing your body to adjust to that because there's a bit of a transition.
And then week to week to week, what's going to happen is we're going to make small changes to that food plan. And there's going to be different things that we focus on each week. For our
returning members, you want to reestablish that routine, dive right in. So you have that really
super strong foundation that you can just keep moving forward, move forward, level up, level up, dive deeper, deeper, deeper, deeper.
Okay.
A lot of you got smacked in the face.
Oh, I already messed up and had a protein shake.
Yeah, I messed it up.
Listen, some days you're going to crush it, the program, and everything's going to go perfectly.
You're going to feel like a rock star.
And then other days you're going to eat chips for breakfast, right?
So it's day one. We are expecting so many of you to not even know what you need to do at this point. So isn't that like diet culture though, right? This
need to start perfectly. And then if you mess up, you've ruined everything. So we're quite the
opposite of that. In fact, there's a lot of research and science behind, you know, not doing
things perfectly. There's so much to be learned when you do mess up, especially as we, for lack of a better
word, or you make choices that don't exactly fall in line with your goals.
Be very mindful of the verbiage here.
So you haven't messed up anything.
And, you know, there's nothing wrong with protein shakes.
They're not the end of the world.
I am just not a fan of liquid nutrients because there's a whole process when
it comes to digestion and your body breaking down the foods that you are consuming. There's a whole
process to that and the type of nutrient value that you get from consuming whole foods versus
liquefied foods. So that's one reason. The other is that it's hard to gauge your satisfaction. So
we're going to start talking about portions as
soon as your body adjusts to the food plan. And I recognize it may be more food than you are used
to consuming for some of you. So you're a bit nervous about that. Chances are we're just
spreading out the food that you're used to consuming throughout the day. And so it's
really important to be super consistent and not skip any of your meals and snacks. Again,
there's a rhyme and a reason. So you want to check out that food plan video, you want to watch the videos and read the posts that go with the
individual meals and snacks, you really, really want to understand what you're doing with that
food plan and why you're being asked, asked to do that. But protein shakes, I mean, that's,
you know, those are the two main reasons. It's not the same nutrient value. And we really want
to go for higher protein. So, you know, for example, if you wanted to do like a natural protein powder in just like a, you know, a milk source, whatever,
and you're not adding fruit, you're not adding any of those things. So you're trying to up your
protein. So many people making sure they're trying to get enough protein. As long as you're adding
protein to your meals and snacks, chances are you're getting more than enough with the program,
following the program itself. You just want to watch drinking
smoothies. So it's hard to gauge satisfaction levels. It's hard to gauge portion and nothing
beats your body working hard to break down the foods that you're eating. But you know,
having a protein shake for breakfast, you didn't mess anything up. I'm just personally not a big
fan of them. We do introduce them though later in the program. There's definitely a time and a place
for them. But if you're new to the program, I suggest you try to just chew your food and eat
sort of whole foods. But yeah, you didn't mess anything up. Some people just don't listen and
they have protein shakes the entire time and they're still successful. So I set the bar real
high. I set the bar real high, really super high. And so there's a lot of wiggle room there. There's a lot of wiggle room there, right? I'm happy to be back. Good. Excited to be back. Feeling super
motivated. First timer. Hi, Lynn. Happy to be happy to be here. Hello. Hello. Hello. Let the
expletives fly. Got my water ready. Okay. So I swear a bit. So the lives are not mandatory and
I'll tell you why. Because I
could literally sit up here for hours. I love talking about this shit. I love talking about it.
I will go to the ends of the earth to help you. Me and my team, especially if you are struggling,
reach out. We will try to figure it out for you. I truly am here for you. But what I have to do
in order to sit up here and share my knowledge with you is just be me and
do it in the way that I'm passionate about. You don't trust me. You don't want some watered down
version of me. Um, because passionate me, I am here for it. I am here for you. I'm going to be
here every single day, good days, bad days, hot mess days, which there will be many, but we will
go through this together. We will go through this
together. I will be here with my mission to help motivate you, to answer your questions,
to get you through, to make sure you are successful at losing your weight finally and
forever. And in a way that you get to move on with your life and never look back and put dieting
behind you. And that is just my mission. I've tried to censor myself. And when
I'm in my head trying to censor myself, I just trip over my words. It stresses me out. So,
so this is not, I am not everybody's cup of tea and that's okay. You can love me. You can hate me.
I don't care as long as you lose your weight in a healthy, sustainable way. That is what I'm here for.
It's also why the lives are not mandatory.
So you do not have to watch hours and hours of me talk or listen to hours and hours of
me talk in order to be successful.
Everything that you need is stored in the app or in the Facebook support group.
Or if you want to read the, you know, non-swearing version. It's all in the book as well. So you will find that, you know,
I'm a little bit more refined in my check-in videos and, you know, in all of the information,
but yeah, I'm here for it. Listen, we're going to laugh. We're going to cry. You know, we're going,
we are in this together and I am here for you. So hopefully if you get offended, you can just
kind of look past that and recognize my heart is in the right place.
They say people who swear are like super honest people and that is me. I will give you the real deal. I don't sugar you know, I've learned a lot by helping a lot of people lose weight in a healthy, sustainable way.
And I'm up here and what I'm doing each day is just sharing everything that I've learned.
And the Livi Method is all about, you know, losing your weight in a healthy way, not just
physically, but mentally, but in a systematic way where you can lose as much weight as possible
in the timeframe that we have. So the living method is not a quick fix, but it is pretty amazing how quickly you can lose a lot of weight with the
program and the process because one week leads into the next, leads into the next, leads into
the next. Like I said, it's very multi-layered and everything is for a rhyme and a reason.
And how it got that way is me literally spending the last 30 years of my life helping people lose
weight.
Because people will be like, how are you a weight loss expert?
I haven't been spending time in labs or boardrooms or any of that actually hands on helping people
lose weight for many years.
Variety of different types of people.
I've learned a lot.
I've learned what works.
I've learned what haven't works.
And so hence the Libby Method.
I'll get into more of my
story and, you know, more of the rhyme and the reason behind the program. We're going to get
into the science behind it each week as we go. But like I said, right now, you just want to focus on
that basic food plan. So make sure you check out the food plan guide. Make sure you invest some
time in reading the post on the individual breakdowns. You want to know exactly what
you're doing for breakfast, exactly what you're doing for morning snack, exactly what you're doing for lunch, that first
snack, that second. For example, we'll have people who don't know that you can combine protein and
fat to that vegetable snack. So that afternoon vegetable snack doesn't just have to be vegetables.
You can add some cheese to it. You can add some protein to it. You can add some dips to it. In
fact, you want to make it as nutrient rich as possible. I know many of you have questions, nuts and seeds, maybe you're allergic. We do have some
alternatives available for you as well. So that's what I would spend your time on over the next
couple of days is really getting a solid grasp of that food plan because it is the base of the
whole program. We're going to talk about so much more. We're going to talk about stress and sleep
and digestion. We're going to talk supplements, which this is not a supplement program.
No one will ask you to buy supplements.
No one will tell you that you need supplements.
We do highlight supplements that can be a compliment to the program, and we'll tell
you why.
But we don't sell them or make money off you.
These are just things that I have learned can be a benefit.
Things like omega-3, getting enough good fat in your diet, vitamin D, you know, super basic stuff, things to help with your digestive
system, probiotics, prebiotics, bitters and whatnot. But again, this is not a supplement program.
So if you're like, oh, I knew it, 75 bucks was too good to be true. They're going to make me
buy supplements. No, we're not. No, we're not. You might not need any of the supplements,
but if you do, we're going to have a conversation about them in the next couple of weeks. But focus
on that basic food plan. That's what you want to do there. Okay. Let me, I got to get going,
but let me see if I have any last minute questions here. So first week of the lives,
going to try to just go an overview of, you know, things everyone needs to know. And then
as we get rolling, we really get into it. Remember that if I don't answer your question, copy and paste it and pop it over on
the, um, the post pin to the top of the page question of the day post. So you'll notice that
each day in the Facebook support group, you open up your app, it'll say like day one. And then
beside that in the Facebook support group is my check in video. So that is where you
can ask all the questions. It's pinned right to the very top of the page. Let's talk about Livvy
losers. Let's talk about Livvy losers. Let's talk about losers and how that came about. Because if
you're new, you might be like, everyone keeps calling me a loser. Like, I don't know what
that's about. So this is our 22nd program, I think 22nd program. And so when I first started these programs, I was just
kind of sharing my knowledge. I didn't have a name for it. There was no name. It's called the
Livi Method now. That was chosen by one of our members. And then on that day, we just did a
shout out in the group. What should we call this thing that we're doing? And someone said, it's the
Livi Method. And someone else was like, yeah, we should call ourselves Livi Losers. So we like that
name. We like to be losers around here. We
are kind of taking back ownership of the diet industry. I want to make dieting cool again.
I want to make dieting fun. I want, you know, so I want to take it back. Um, I got a lot of flack
over the last few years in helping people lose weight. And here's the thing. You can love yourself
and accept yourself as you are, and you absolutely should.
But that doesn't mean that you don't want to lose weight. And if you've gained weight,
there's probably a reason why you gain weight, hard times in your life, stressful times in your life. Like who knows why you gained weight? It doesn't matter, but it's okay to want to lose
your weight. And believe it or not, and the diet industry may not know this yet, but there is a
healthy way to do that. And hence the Libby
method, hence the Libby method. So that's where losers came from. So if you please don't get
offended by us calling you a loser, that's a good thing. I'm also big on manifesting and you want to
be a loser. You want to lose your weight. So that's sort of where that comes from. We like to
have fun around here. What are your thoughts on matcha latte? I use one cup unsweetened almond
and coconut milk and stevia and one tablespoon of honey. Here's the thing, right? You can have
your coffee however you want to have it. If you have it super sweet, I know within a few weeks,
you're going to find it too sweet. You're probably going to decrease the amount of sweetener that you
use in it. If you love your morning coffee like, you know, wouldn't be in a huge rush to
change that. It's probably your coffee is not why you've gained weight chances are. And it's
probably not why you are not losing your weights. Um, so coffee is fine. You can put creamers in it.
I see you're using Stevia. Um, you're using a little bit of honey. If you are using sugar,
you can start maybe by decreasing the sugar in your coffee.
There's nothing wrong with drinking coffee. We do suggest the lemon water first thing in the
morning. It does not do any of the magical, mystical things the diet industry tells you
that it does. What it is great for is starting the day, cleansing your palate. So you're less
likely to go for a reach for sugary things and you're more likely to make healthier choices.
It does get you started,
you know, on hydration earlier in the day. It can help with digestion by, you know, stimulating digestion as well. Um, but you can have your lemon water or apple cider vinegar first. And,
you know, a few minutes later, have your coffee. You can have your coffee without eating. It's yes,
slightly can elevate cortisol levels, but your cortisol levels are naturally elevated in the morning. So don't worry about any of that craziness that they're talking about out
there. If you love your coffee, have your coffee, whatever way you like your coffee. Um, we do have
a whole post coming out on coffee. I actually believe it might've been posted today because
that's the number one question that we get. So, so your matcha latte, I love that. Um, you do want to just watch if you're
having any of the mocha choco lattes with like whipped cream and do you know what I mean? Anything
like that. Um, but that's totally fine. That's totally fine. Wondering why we can have sugar,
but not sweetener. So I'm not a fan of sugar either. I'm not, I'm not a fan of sugar and it,
no one says that you can't have sweeteners. It just says that I am not a fan of sugar. And no one says that you can't have sweeteners.
It just says that I am not a fan because I have been alive long enough to do my research
on artificial sweeteners.
And I don't choose to get into that because a simple Google search will talk about all
of those old artificial sweeteners.
Now, there are better ones like Stevia, right?
But it comes from a plant.
But it's not a plant, it's a processed
version of that plant. You can have agave if you want, you can have monk fruit is one of the better
ones as well. But make no mistake, they still affect you. You have something sweet, you crave
something sweet, it's just how it is. So I'm just sharing my preference. I'm leaving that up to you and here's the thing I don't say
you can't have anything that's not how I roll around here what I do is tell you the things
that are going to help you lose your weight the quickest I'm going to get you there sooner rather
than later I set that bar real high there's a lot of wiggle room it's not about rules I do
guidelines so what I'm doing is sharing what
I have learned by helping literally thousands of people lose weight. And it's all about choices.
It's all about you have a goal. And there are things you're going to need to do in order to
reach that goal. It's like bread and pasta and pizza. So some people will choose to have pizza
every Friday night with their family because they're like, yes, I want to lose
weight, but I love pizza night with my family. I'm not willing to give that up. Now, maybe they'll
have regular pizza. Maybe they'll add a side salad with their pizza. Maybe they'll have cauliflower
crust pizza, or maybe they'll just have regular pizza. Now, is that person going to not reach
their goal because they're having pizza night on Friday night? No, they're going to get there.
Maybe it'll slow them down, but you know, that's the trade off for them. So it's all about choices
that you're making. And on a day to day basis, you want to have as many of your choices as possible
fall in line with your goals, right? So if you just don't want to get it, I'm not about having
your cake and eat it too. I'm not doing that. You're not going to see no low fat carbo nib fucking
muffins on my recipe list. We're not going to show you cookies and cakes and all of that shit.
I'm assuming you want this to be the last fucking diet you've ever done and you've had enough of
that bullshit and you just want to lose this fucking weight already and get on with it and
lose it in a way that you can enjoy a whole full fat muffin, right? A whole
regular ass cookie, a slice of pizza or two and not gain your weight back. I want you to lose
your weight in a way also where physically your body's not inclined to store that fat back because
we didn't starve it and deprive it. But in a way that you are calm, where you're like, hey,
those donuts look good. I don't want one because you legitimately don't want one.
Or hey, those donuts look good.
I'm going to have one.
And then you actually eat it.
Can you imagine enjoying it?
And then can you imagine not ragging on your ass about it for hours and braiding yourself,
thinking you're a failure, you're going to be fat forever.
Oh my God, why did I eat this? I shouldn't eat this. Now that I ate this, I might also eat 10 bags of
chips and all of that. I've ruined everything. I'm going to start again tomorrow and starve myself.
So this is so much bigger picture, right? At the end of the day, this is truly losing your weight
in a healthy, sustainable way physically and mentally. So it's all about understanding the choices that you're making and how they're affecting you, right? That's what it's
about. So some people are going to be super hardcore and some people are going to be like,
hey, you know what? Like I still want to have pizza on Friday night. I still want to, I have
a reservation at my favorite restaurant for my favorite pasta and I'm going to have that, right?
So, so this is what I mean. Like what you learn by having the thing you're and I'm going to have that. Right? So, so this is
what I mean. Like what you learn by having the thing you're, I want you to get to a place where
if you have the thing, you enjoy the thing and you don't berate yourself for hours of the next
day after, and you don't punish yourself for having it. You're just like, I had that, move it
along, get back to focusing on the things that I need to do. Or I want you to get to a place where
you're like, Oh, you know what? I don't, I'm not interested. I don't, I don't want to have that. And I'm good. I'm good.
Right. That's, that's where we're going with all this. So I don't tell you, and so I love that you
brought this up by the way. So I don't tell you what you can and cannot do. I will tell you what
you can do in order to reach your goals and to get there sooner rather than later. But really the
choices that you're making are up to you. And you're going to get really in tune with that.
Like I said, so you might have your coffee with two sugars every day, and you're going to drink
that and drink that. But if you're doing all the rest of the things that you're doing on the
program, eventually, you're going to realize your coffee is too sweet. And you are going to decide,
you know what, my coffee is just way too sweet, because your taste buds are going to be more
enhanced. You're going to be in tune to your body my coffee is just way too sweet because your taste buds are going to be more enhanced.
You're going to be in tune to your body's needs.
Your body doesn't want that sugar. We're going to get really in tune with your body's actual wants over needs, right?
Like you want the sugar in your coffee, but your body doesn't need the sugar in your coffee.
You want the chocolate.
Your body doesn't need the chocolate, right?
So we're going to get into all that, which is really cool.
But I am out of time. I've got to go. So conversations like this, please do not be shy about sharing and asking your questions, especially get the ones that get
me excited and passionate. Because without you making the comments and asking the questions,
I'd have nothing to talk about. I hope this gave you a little taste of all the things we are going
to talk about and discuss. I mean, wow, we're going to get so into it. We're going to have a lot of fun doing it.
I hope that you enjoy your whole first day. Remember, if I didn't answer your question,
just simply copy it and paste it or type it again over on the question of the day,
