Day 10 of the program. We're about a week and a bit in. Are you going to reach your goals?
Are you going to be successful? How long have you been trying to lose this weight? What's going to
be different this time? Really? Because the reality is, is that
some of you are going to reach your goals. And some of you aren't. Some of you are going to
follow through and be here at the end. And some of you are going to quit. Maybe today, maybe tomorrow,
next week. You know, people talk a lot about motivation. And here's the thing about motivation. Motivation
is driven by your desire and what you want. This is probably going to be the most important
conversation we have throughout this entire program. Oh, maybe I'll say that tomorrow or
the next day or whatever. But this is a big one. And I can tell you why, because I was up all
fucking night. I fucking did not get any sleep. Great conversation yesterday with
Dr. Beverly. I mean, really just highlighting how we're going to get into it and really what
weight loss is all about. I mean, if you've been trying to lose weight for 20 years, yeah,
we can blame it on those shitty diets, but it's so much more than that. And yesterday I saw, I mean, listen, most people will do the Libby method and not ask a question and lose weight just fine.
Something like 93% of people, right?
Like most people are just like, they do the program, they pop in the end.
Oh my God, that was amazing.
Thank you.
And then more than that in maintenance, in our maintenance group, because we have Ruth Kane.
She's a professor at the University of Ottawa.
Her and her team of
studying the Libby method. They got SSHRC funding, government funding a couple years ago to study the
Libby method, which is really cool. So we really are into figuring out or proving that it works.
And we've already done that. It works. And 98% of people who make it to maintenance feel confident
in maintaining their weight and moving on.
Right?
Like, that's just amazing.
But you've got to make it through the program and be here at the end.
And, you know, yesterday, so yesterday there was some chatter about people who are frustrated because the weight isn't moving. And not just like new members, returning members who've already lost a good
chunk of weight, really demotivated by the fact that the scale isn't moving. And you know, I was
like, I was talking to Tony today, I'm like, what can I say? What can I do like to, to show people
that this works to to let them know it's so normal when for the scale not to move and how quickly the
scale moves in the
beginning or how much you lose is really zero indication of how successful you're going to be.
And I get it, like other diets, you starve, you deprive, you get that quick fix, you get that
initial loss, and then you lose it so much in certain areas that, you know, it looks like,
oh my God, you lost weight. And I mean, the problem is you're, you know, that creates problems
with skin, it's not sustainable, you forget that you get to a point that you can't lose anymore. And
then you gain it back. We forget about that, right? We forget about that. So much chatter yesterday.
And so I was like, let's facilitate this conversation. So in the group, I've done
something I've never done. I was never really about facilitating a conversation. I was more
like stay focused on what you need to do.
I am telling you what you need to do to lose your weight.
It's up to you to show up and do those things.
So, but yesterday I was like, hey, you know what?
Let's facilitate this.
Let's do a shout out to our returning members who've been there before, who know what it's
like to be frustrated and not have that scale move.
And, but where are they now and what have that scale move. And but where are they now? And what have they done? And of course,
it was just an amazing, beautiful thread of conversation that happened. Right? I was a
little bit nervous, because I didn't want it to be one of those, oh, I'm so frustrated. And so it
can so easily turn into this negative demotivating conversation where everyone just wants to feel the
feels and feel frustrated. But then what happens
is I don't know that that helps people in terms of showing up and continuing to do the things that
they need to do. Sometimes I think it feeds into that, that self-fulfilling prophecy of like,
I'm never going to do that. I'm never going to get there. I'm never going to reach my goals.
Even if I do lose weight, I'm going to get it back, right? Like everything that you've been
through and learn through your past experiences. So of course I didn't sleep all night. I mean,
it was an amazing conversation. I was in there reading the comments late, which I shouldn't do.
And I didn't sleep all night. And again, it keep coming back to, I'm not worried about,
are you going to lose your weight? I know you will. If you do the things that you need to do
and you do them long enough and you follow. If you do the things that you need to do, and you do them
long enough, and you follow through and you finish, it's just that with dieting, we've been
told that it's a quick fix, right? It's a one and done. And you know, it's never a one and done
with the way you've done it before. And then I think, okay, this is so different what I'm
offering to people. It's so different that shouldn't they find that exciting?
Shouldn't they be like, okay, this is really different. You know, the things that we're
being asked to do the conversations that we're having, like I need something different, because
I've done all the things and the things have not worked for me. Yes, they work for that quick fix
that payoff. But they've never worked in terms of sustainable, maintainable, move on with my
life.
Stop fucking trying to lose weight.
You don't want to be at the end of your life and be like, oh, I'm so glad I spent 20 years
of my life trying to lose that same, however many pounds over and over again.
You just want to fucking get it done, feel confident and comfortable in your body and
move on and focus on other things. At least I think
that's what you want to do. That's my goal for you, right? Lose your weight in a healthy way,
a way that makes you actually healthier, in tune to your body's needs, right? Like you really know
what you need far beyond when to eat, what to eat, how much to eat. You are in tune. You are
prioritizing yourself. You have a better
sense of self. You are confident. You are like, you feel like a fucking rock star because you've
done that and you know what you need in order to live your best life. And I don't mean do the
things in your life to live your best life. I mean, wake up every day and feel like you have
energy so you can do the things you want to do in your life. So this brings me back to motivation. Here's the problem that we're
having. Not just you, me, all the things that I want to accomplish and do. Your motivation
is why you signed up. You know that you want to lose weight. You want to lose weight. So you
signed up. Right? Great. The problem is you probably don't want to drink the water.
You probably don't want to meal prep.
You probably don't want to take time to prepare and eat all your meals and snacks.
You probably don't want to move your body.
You probably don't want to get better sleep because you fucking like staying up watching
Netflix or hanging out or whatever you do.
You don't really want to change the things that you're doing. That's the problem. You're motivated to lose weight. So you signed up, but now you have to do the things that you need to do.
And this is where you're not going to be motivated. Some of you, you need to ask yourself,
how am I showing up for myself?
And there's a lot of chatter. We did that post today about the scale. And we showed like what's
normal on the scale and gave you graphs and everything like that. And a lot of you talking
about how you get on that scale. And it just, it just dictates how you feel. Even though you're
doing all these amazing things, you're showing up for yourself and you're drinking your water
and you're eating these nutrient rich foods and you're being, being in tune, you're doing all these amazing things. You're showing up for yourself and you're drinking your water and you're eating these nutrient rich foods and you're being in tune. You're trying to move
your body and you're journaling and setting intentions and end of day reflections. You're
doing all these amazing things. And yet you let a piece of metal that you step on dictate how you
feel throughout the day. So who fucking cares that I'm doing all this stuff. But the fact that that scale isn't showing me a number that I want to see affects my whole day. So so so so you may see
may say to me, well, Gina, then why are we getting on the scale? And here's what I have to say. If
you if that piece of metal is dictating how you feel, go into that ask yourself why? Why is it dictating how I feel? What feelings is it bringing up that I
need to work through here? Like really, maybe you're not doing the things that you need to do.
Maybe you're doing more things than you did before. Maybe you are trying and no doubt you
want this bad. And I'm not saying that you're not doing the things
because if you are doing the things, then why isn't that good enough? Because if you were doing
the things, you're going to lose the weight. It's just, your body is not a machine and you know,
it just doesn't work on your demand. And there's a lot that goes into weight loss, your body releasing fat, right, your body
adjusting to the fat that it's releasing, you just can't take pounds of fat out of your body,
and or have your body release, you know, metabolically, the weight and not have your
body need to adjust. There's so much into it, you know? So, so I wanted to talk
about that today. You're, you were motivated to sign up. So you signed up great. And then now
you're here. This is why a week and a half in, some of you are ready to quit because you're not
motivated to do the things that you need to do. But here's the thing. I would never sell a program
that didn't work. I'm not trying to sell you into this. I know it works.
We have research. And we've been gathering data, we do surveys at the end of the program,
like we know the Livi method works to the point where it works better than pretty much any other
diet out there, including Ozempic. We have the data behind this. In fact, we were recently at the Canadian Obesity Summit and
Ruth was there and she did an e-presentation and presented the data. You know, we're going to
continue down that path of doing our research and clinical studies and all of that. But
bigger than that, you are probably here because 95% of the people following the program right now are through referral.
So you are probably here because you know someone who's been successful, right?
So the program works.
And if you feel like it doesn't, this is where you have to review the science, read the science
post, watch the video and read the information on the program overview so you're aware of how what you
eat and when is going to change so you really immerse yourself in the whole program and process
and experience so you really understand so you can prove to yourself and to your brain that it's
different and you can reassure yourself it's going to work. But the
thing is, it's not going to work if you don't make it past week one. That's the thing, you know, so
so I wanted to have this conversation with you about motivation, because there's something you
can do about it. And remember back to the very first live I think that we had, and I talked about your why. You need to remind yourself every day
why you are here. You need to remind yourself every day why you have to do the things,
especially when you don't want to do them. Why am I drinking my water? Why am I following this
food plan? Why am I moving my body or exercising when I don't want to?
Why am I trying to get better sleep?
Why am I doing this?
Why am I doing that?
You have to remind yourself that the reason why you are doing these things is because
you are fucking tired of feeling like shit and spending your whole entire fucking life trying to lose this fucking weight over and
fucking over again. That's why I'm assuming some of you are here because
you want to survive major illnesses. Some of you are here because you've been exhausted and tired and
broken down and you're hanging on to life by the skin of your teeth and you want more. Some of you
want to wake up and feel comfortable in your body, not bloated, not feeling gross every day, not feeling like you don't even know who you are,
right? Like really go into your why, why are you showing up every day? Right? Like, cause
that's the why that's the why is why you signed up and the why is going to remind you every day
why you need to do the things that you need to do. Now I also want to turn, I'm going to remind you every day why you need to do the things that you need to do.
Now, I also want to turn, I'm going to get to your questions in a second.
I want to talk to returning members, right?
Returning members.
Some of you, I think, missed a bit of the information last time, or maybe it's just
you're like, you're nervous again.
I don't know what it is.
You have the advantage.
You have the advantage. So don't know what it is. You have the advantage. You have the advantage.
So be all in.
Level up.
Do the things that you need to do and then some.
Get this fucking done already.
Reach out.
Ask questions.
Be a champion for yourself.
Be a champion for yourself, which brings me back to new member, returning member. How are
you showing up for yourself? Are you showing up in a funk every day or are you waking up and being
a champion for yourself? It's great when the scales move and yeah, that's so easy. But if you
got up and you got on the scale today and you're like, oh, okay. All right. This fucking sucks.
This fucking scale is not doing what I want to do, but I am a fucking rock star. I'm amazing. I am still here. I am showing up. I am working through hard things. Life is not making
it easy for me, but I am hanging in there and I am not going to quit. And I'm going to be here at
the end of this 91 day program, whatever it takes. Maybe I will be able to crush it and do all the
things. Maybe I'll be able to do half of the things. Maybe I'm only able to crush it and do all the things maybe I'll be able to do half of the things maybe I'm only able to do some of the things but I see the benefit in showing up and doing that so
so what is your why put a sticky on your forehead on your journal on your wall on your fridge on
your your bathroom counter to constantly remind you why are you doing these things that maybe you
don't want to do because they are going to help you get there to the end and get you to that finally and forever goal so you can move on for
the rest of your life and not ever have to worry about weight loss again. That's the difference.
I don't want to dwell on this moving forward because it's really just a small percentage of
people who are frustrated and having a hard time right now. But at some
point in the program, chances are every single person listening right now will contemplate
quitting. You will. And it's probably just what you've done because of those past diets. Rightfully
so, because they suck. So I'm glad you quit those diets. But this one is different. And I can only
do what I can do to try to show you and prove
to you that it's it is different and it's going to work. The rest is up to you. I'm going to do
my best to motivate you. I'm going to talk to guests that are going to help you work through
the things that you need to work through. I'm going to highlight and talk to real members about
their very real journeys that no doubt are going to resonate with you.
We're going to highlight members each week.
We're going to do everything we can.
I'm going to sit up here and give you everything I know about helping people lose weight over the last 36 years of my life.
I'm going to give you everything I got, but the rest is up to you to really show up and
decide if you are going to be here at the end.
Ask yourself right now, are you going to follow through and finish on these 91 days?
Maybe you are not confident about that.
That's okay.
That's okay.
But show up anyway.
Give yourself these 91 days and give it your all.
And some days are going to be better than others.
I'm not saying you have to crush it and be perfect your all. And some days are going to be better than others. I'm not saying you
have to crush it and be perfect and all of that. But I guarantee you, if you make it to the end of
the program, and you see this as so much more than what's happening on the scale, you are going to be
I don't even know the word, how you are going to feel at the end, there's going to be a sense of
pride, a sense of accomplishment, you are going to be so much more in tune to your needs. You're going to
improve your relationship, not just with food, but yourself. It's just going to, it's going to
be a game changer and it's going to be life changing and probably not in the ways that you
think like, Oh, I'm going to be able to fit my ass in my bikini when I go to Jamaica in April.
But do you know what I mean? In so many other ways, you have to also see the benefit of the things that you are doing here.
Right? Like you have, I know you want to lose weight so badly, but you have to see the benefit
in all the other things that you are doing. Seeing the benefit in adding in those, those
vegetables that you are so fucking tired of eating. See the benefit in eating those leafy greens
that you're just like, wah.
See the benefit in drinking the water
and prioritizing yourself and moving your body
and maximizing, which is a really cool conversation
that we have coming up next week.
Next week, we're gonna start talking
about all the other things that you can do
that are gonna make a difference.
Still focusing this week on that basic food plan.
Make that your singular focus.
Try to be as consistent as possible with following that basic food plan right now. And I promise you everything
else will really start to come together. We're going to be really hardcore moving forward about
the things that you need to do and all the other things that you can do as well. But right now,
that's all I want from you now is to show up and to do your best and be as consistent as possible.
Because if you do that, then what's going to happen is you're going to start to see and feel
results. And you're going to be, if you're open to how everything's going to come together,
you're going to start to see. And then if you're open to listening to our returning members,
listening and being open to the things that I am sharing with you, right? You're going to be like,
okay, this could work for me. I am noticing this. I'm noticing that, you know, yes. Okay. You want
the scale to move and that's going to happen. But focusing on those non-scale victories,
that can be more motivating, honestly, than what's happening on the scale, because those
non-scale victories are showing you that change is happening, right?
Change is happening.
Anyway, that's my, um, that's what I got to say today.
Um, I hope that you found that helpful.
I know that may seem a little intense, but what I am so afraid of is that some of you
are not going to stick around long enough.
And Hey, if you're listening to this right now and you're crushing it, awesome.
Awesome.
Awesome.
I appreciate you letting me have this minute to, to help to, I don't you're crushing it. Awesome. Awesome. Awesome. I appreciate you
letting me have this minute to, to help to, I don't know if motivates the right word.
The people who are listening who might be struggling. I just, ah, man, if there's a way
I could bottle up how I know you're going to feel at the end of this program, how I know you're
going to feel after day in day out over the next 12 weeks of prioritizing yourself and focusing on
yourself and focusing on yourself
and doing the things that are not only going to help you reach your weight loss goal, but actually
make change in your life physically, mentally. Ah, ma'am. All right. Where are my glasses?
Turned on my, here's my iPad. What's happening here? All right. Let me get into your questions.
Where are we at? Is it, it's not even, is it Thursday? No, it's Wednesday, right? It's
Wednesday, day 10. Congratulations to all who showed up today. Yes, this, it was not intense,
Gina. It's the truth. Thank you for this one. Yeah. I want you to be here, right? Who's this?
Dave Stewart. Hi, Dave Stewart. I am so effing close to maintenance that I get cocky with the
plan as in I'm confident going off plan because I feel comfortable doing it, but it's becoming
a habit and I need to stop. Okay. This, this, this, this, this, I love this. So this happens with returning members a lot,
especially if you were really successful in your first group, because you've got, and this also
happens to, I talked about this on the check-in today, people who don't have a lot of weight to
lose, right? Well, I don't have that much to lose. And, you know, my friend Debbie lost 40 pounds during the program, I only
have five or seven or 10. So I don't have to work as hard as she worked or do as many things as she
did in order to reach my goal, because I don't have as much to lose as her. When that's not really
how it is a lot of times. So this happens, right? This happens happens because you know, you can do this. I love that.
I love that. And also when you've lost a good chunk of weight, you feel amazing. And so you're
like, I don't really need to lose this last five pounds, 10 pounds. I feel great. I feel amazing.
I'm in tune. I've made all this change. I feel awesome. And that's great. And you could totally
stop now. We have a lot of people who will reach their goal that they set and realize, oh my gosh, I could totally keep going for more.
And then we have people who, who are 20 pounds away from the goal that they set, but they're
like, I feel great. I actually don't need to keep working towards that number. Cause I feel amazing.
Here's what I can tell you that happens. Regardless, people will get into maintenance
and they're able to easily maintain
their weights and then everything is great. And then they decide, you know what? I was initially
happy with, you know, the weight that I hit, but now that I spent time in maintenance, I kind of
feel like I could go back for more, which that's your prerogative. Only you know what it feels like
to live in your body every day. Um, but here's the one thing that happens a lot is that I'm maintaining my weight, which is
great, but I don't feel as good as I felt when I was trying to lose weight.
And that's because the living method is so much more than weight loss, right?
You feel good when you prioritize yourself in your own life.
And I don't mean like taking time to eat.
I mean, make choices that make you feel good. Do what's right for you at the end of
the day. You know, you feel good when you do eat those vegetables and those leafy greens,
because even though you may not love them, they are good for your body. You feel good when you
make an effort to drink your water. Because you know, yes, it's inconvenient and all of those
things, but you feel so much better when you're hydrated.
You know, you feel better when you move your body because it helps you manage your stress,
right?
Like it's like, it's how all the things that you're doing are adding up and make a big difference.
So your motivator, Dave, might not be weight anymore.
Your motivator maybe might be like, like, maybe it's just like really feeling your best.
How far can I take this in terms of feeling my best?
Like maybe your why has changed. Do you know, maybe your why, like you got and you've lost this way. You've
been hugely successful. Maybe your why isn't the why that you started with anymore. So what's your
why now? Like, why are you trying to follow through and finish? Like, why are you not just
done now? Right? Are you chasing a number? Or are you
chasing a feeling? Maybe you're not motivated because you feel great. You feel like I feel
amazing. I do you really even care about losing those last five pounds or whatever is going to
take you to reach that number, right? So that's where even though you've been successful, right,
and you've made it this far, and you've been through a few programs and you know,
you're the poster child, poster man for weight loss by Gina, right? Like what's,
what's your motivator? Maybe you're done. And if you're like, no, I'm not done. Okay. Then why
aren't you done? Right? Like, why aren't you done? And why are you, why are you then not doing the
things that you know you need to do? So what is that?
Right?
What is that?
I find them so close that I get cocky on plan.
Yeah, I mean, you could be like, well, I don't need to do that because I can get back on
track or I don't need to do this because I know if I just do that or, you know, I know
this week's coming up and, you know, previous programs, that's the week for me.
So, you know, I'm just going to wait.
I'm going to coast until I get to that week that I know is going to be my week forgetting it's what you did
the weeks leading up that really caused that week to be your week in terms of the scale, right? So,
so this is where you got out rather than yes, you do need to stop the things if you find yourself
indulging, take a moment and be like, do I is this making me me happy? Do I, do I feel good doing this?
Right? Like maybe you've realized you're not in a hurry. Maybe, maybe you don't want to leave us.
Maybe, maybe you enjoy the routine, right? Like there's nothing wrong with that. Maybe you enjoy
the community. Maybe you enjoy the conversation. What you don't want to do though, is get stuck on
that kind of nowhere zone between that five and 10 pounds where you want it,
where you're getting on the scale every day. The problem is if you're getting on the scale every
day and you're disappointed, you're getting on the scale every day and you're like, ah,
or you're getting on the scale after you indulged and you know that you indulged and you know the
scale is not going to be down, right? That's that problem area where you're like, you're getting up, you're weighing,
you want the scale to be down, but you're not doing the things that you know, we're going to
get that scale down to that number that you want to see. So, so that's where you got to,
I don't know if it's cocky because you can be confident, right? But what is it that,
why are you not doing the thing? Maybe you're tired of doing the things. Maybe
you're just like, oh, fuck, I need a minute. I'm tired of doing, there's nothing wrong with being
like, I'm tired of prioritizing myself, focusing on this every day. I'm tired of making choices
that make me feel good. Maybe just have a day where you eat all the stuff and you just do
nothing. You don't work out, you stay in bed all day. If you can, I don't know, eat the stuff.
I drink the stuff, do whatever, and then see how that feels. And then maybe that'll be a good wake
up call and reminder of how good you feel when you are doing the things. I don't know if that's
helpful or not. Um, I don't know if that's helpful or not, but again, that why, right? Why, why do
you want to follow through and finish? Why? That I think that's, I think if I think about you, I think probably your why has changed.
So why do you want to follow through? Why are you showing up every day and doing the things that you
need to do? Why? That's what you got to figure out. And then when you're not doing those things,
remind your, or you're not wanting to do the things, remind yourself of why you need to do
them in the first place,
right? Get it fucking done, Dave. Get it fucking done, Dave. What are you doing? What are you doing?

I've only lost four pounds, but my body and soul feel like I've lost 20. Look forward to every morning. I love this is a whole vibe. Take out the word only. Take out the word only. Okay, because four pounds in two weeks, because prep week and week one is amazing. That's amazing. Let's normalize the standard of one to two pounds on average per week or throughout the program, right? 12 to 16
pounds. That's the average. Yes, of course, the goal is for you to lose as much as you possibly
can. And it's amazing how much you can lose with this program because you're not starving and
depriving it off. That's why some of you are seeing big numbers lost on the scale because the program is designed to work.
And believe it or not, the Libby method is so much more effective than those eat less, starve
yourself, deprive yourself diets, but you have to look at it in its whole entirety. The reason why
I chose 91 days is because it takes at least 12 weeks for your body to make change.
That's why I chose quick fixes are great, but I'm going for the sustainable, lose your weight
forever, move on with your life, right? And sustainable physically, mentally, where you're
calm around food in the end, where you're able to enjoy the foods that you love and, you know,
not gain all your weight back just because you looked at that you love and, you know, not gain all your weight back
just because you looked at a piece of toast, you know? So I love this. So many of you, so here's
the thing that's hard in doing this with the community, so many benefits in doing this with
the community. And, you know, some people are just using their app and some people are really
involved in the Facebook support group, which I love. It's very hard to stay focused on yourself when you see other people, like if you have lost nine
pounds in a week, right? If you see someone and they've lost nine pounds in a week, they probably
have a significant amount of weight to lose. They probably have more loose weight to lose than you
do. Right? So you have to keep that perspective in mind. People come in different shapes and
different sizes. You might only have 10 pounds to lose where someone else has 200 pounds to lose, right? So that and what we do really well here, and this is what we want to do,
is we want to be champions and cheerleaders for people who are excited because the scale is moving.
And we want to be champions and cheerleaders for people who are frustrated. This group isn't about
toxic positivity, right? You don't have to be like you know miss mary sunshine
every day oh you know my scale is up but it's okay no you could be like fuck this shit i'm so
pissed at my scale but i'm showing up today right like read you don't you can feel your feels and be
frustrated disappointed all of those things and still do the things that you need to do and still be proud
of yourself. We can do we can carry all of those feelings at the same time, you know, so you have
lost four pounds, which is amazing. That's amazing. That's amazing. I was so close to Disneyland,
my life, my life fell apart, and I had to move. I let my environment dictate my lifestyle
and my mood. Okay, let me read this again. So first of all, let me preface this by talking about Disneyland. Tony reminded me today,
so I was thinking about the check-ins. There's so many people who don't listen to the lives,
which is weird that I'm talking about this on the live. But I was thinking, because I'm thinking,
how can I help people? How can I get them to truly understand it's going to work for them?
How can I get them to show up? How can I get them to follow through? And I was thinking about the check-ins. And so, you know, I tell
you what's going on post-wise and the check-ins, and I'm trying to answer some frequently asked
questions. And it's a little bit of lots of bits of stuff. And I'm thinking, maybe what I could do
be more helpful for people in those check-ins if I talk more extensively about one thing. And Tony's
like, because, you know, I'm always talking to Tony about it. And because I'm always trying to level up what I'm
doing and how I'm doing it, right? Like, I feel like I'm just getting started with weight loss
and helping people. And we talked about analogies. He's like, you used to use your analogies all the
time, you know, the road to Disneyland, building the house, you know, and he's like, you don't,
you don't do that so much anymore. And so Disneyland, so here's the thing. It's like when you start the program, this is my on the road
analogy. Okay. You're like, okay, I'm starting the living method. I'm starting this diet. It's
like getting on the road and going somewhere. You're going to a destination. That's your goal,
right? You're trying to get to Disneyland. You're trying to reach a goal. And so we're all getting in our day one, we all got in our cars, and we hit the road. Now,
some of us are driving brand new fancy sports cars. Some of us are cars are a little broken
down and beaten up. Right? Some of us when we hit the road, I mean, the broken down cars, the fast cars, you know,
someone who has never dieted before, you know, this is their first time, maybe they gained weight
from the pandemic, they don't have that history of diets, shit, they got to work through, you know,
metabolism issues, health issues, they're just a sports car ready to go. Oh, Gina's program. So
easy peasy done. Thank you. Goodbye. You know, and then we have people who are driving
broken down cars spent 20 years trying to lose this weight metabolisms in the gutter, you know,
dealing with a lot issues, associations, past traumas, a lot of that, right? This is the whole
gamut, the whole gamut. And so we get I'm in a jalopy. Right? So we're bringing our bodies,
our bodies are our cars.
And we come in different shapes and sizes, different needs, different restrictions, different whatever.
And so we get on the road.
Now, some people live further away than others.
So some people have more weight to lose than others.
Some people are going to get there in a day.
Some people are going to take them three days.
Some people it's going to take them three weeks to drive to Disneyland. Of course we have to put that in 12 week increments. Okay.
And then some people are going to hit roadblocks and detours along the way. Right. And some people
are going to get flat tires. That's life smacking you in the face, right? That's life smacking you
in the face. That's you're going to get a flat tire. But again, you've heard this before. Just because you get a flat tire doesn't
mean that you go all the way back home and start again. You just just because you hit a detour
doesn't mean you're like, Oh, fuck this. Go back home. I'm going to wait till it's going to be
smooth sailing. You know what I mean? Just because you hit a roadblock doesn't mean you go back home and you start again. It's great to have that concept of a fresh start, but it doesn't mean
if you go back home after that flat tire, that then you're not going to hit a detour, right? Or
if you go back home after you hit that detour, it doesn't mean that you're not going to get a road
block. You know what I mean? So you got to keep going. Some of you are going to choose to rather
than just driving straight to that destination, you're going to choose to go sightseeing. You're
not getting some, it's about the journey, not the destination. So you're going to choose to stop and
go sightseeing that maybe is going away for the weekend. That's maybe, um, going on vacation,
right? Like you, you, you decide, okay, I'm taking a break
for a week. And then you're going to get back in your car and not drive back home and start again.
You're going to get back in your car and you're just going to keep driving. Some of you are going
to choose to visit family along the way. So you're going to be like, oh, Aunt Carol lives, you know,
halfway to Disneyland. So we're going to stop at her place and you get to Aunt Carol's and she's like, oh, eat
the pie and eat the thing and eat the stuff and whatever.
So you decide to eat.
That's like a night out, whatever that is.
Big deal.
You don't get, you know, you don't get back in the car from Aunt Carol's and drive back
home because your belly's full and you ate too much and you got to start again.
No, you get in your car and you keep moving forward.
That's what that's all about.
And then here's the kicker though.
We're all trying to get to Disneyland, right?
You reach your goal, you get to Disneyland.
That's stage one of the living method.
There are four stages to the living method.
Lose your weight, solidify your weight, spend time maintaining your weight, and then you
get to move on and live your life.
And that solidifying your weight is like now that you're at, now you made it to Disneyland,
you need to make a plan.
Where are you going to park?
Where are you going to eat?
What part of the park are you going to see?
Well, we're going to, we'll talk about that at the end of the program.
But first, let's get to Disneyland.
So that's where that analogy comes from.
So before, let me get back to Alicia.
Okay.
I was so, so close to Disneyland.
My life, my life fell apart. I had to move.
I let my environment dictate my lifestyle and my mood. Also healing through a breakup. 13 years,
right? Fooled by who I thought was my person and saw what he moved on to. Yeah, it was a,
it was traumatic for you, right? It's a big deal. You're with someone for 13 years of your life, or you're working at a job for 13 years of your life. You're doing whatever, you're raising
your kids for whatever that is, right? Whatever that is, this big thing happened to you. I was
not ready for that plot twist. Yeah, I hear you. Even if you were ready, it doesn't make it any
easier. It doesn't make it any easier. Needless to say, I was leveled and now fuck that.
Okay, you had enough of that.
Been there, done that.
You just like, you felt that you're ready.
You're right.
Doesn't mean that you're not going to still have residual feelings.
It doesn't mean that you're not still feeling ways.
It doesn't mean that you're not going to have some bad days still, but you've had enough.
You felt that you're deciding, okay, that's not working for me anymore. So now you're choosing differently. I love this
already. That itself is huge. You could be done today and be like really proud of yourself just
for this revelation. I wasted enough time and energy on that. I wouldn't say that, right? You
probably learned a lot through that whole experience. I wouldn't say that, right? You probably learned a lot through that whole experience.
I wouldn't look at it as wasted time and wasted energy. I was thinking about, I was thinking about
this very thing. I was thinking about this very thing today because I have old relationships,
more so with friends. And I was thinking, hmm, like, do I want to be at the end of my life and
be like, oh, I'm so like, if my life ended
tomorrow, what's the one thing I would regret? And one thing I would regret is spending so much time
thinking about these people that I don't want in my life. And they probably don't want me in their
lives either. And I'm actually even though the end of our relationship was really devastating for me. I am so much better off. And I come to realize that this thing that happened to you, that's the universe working
for you.
That's the universe working for you.
And here's the thing about it not being a waste of your time, because that happened
to you so you could learn what you needed to learn, right?
And change and evolve and know what works for you
and know what doesn't work for you
because there is so much better
coming down the pipeline for you.
That's what that is.
That's just life preparing you
for the next best thing in your life, you know?
So it wasn't a waste of your time at all.
I gotta say that, I gotta say that.
You're allowed to say that.
You're allowed to feel like that, of course,
but that's my, I just gotta give you my two cents on that because I got to say that. You're allowed to say that. You're allowed to feel like that, of course. But that's my, I just got to give you my two cents on that.
Because I haven't wasted time on those, thinking about those relationships.
The time that I put into that really made me understand what works for me and what doesn't.
And what I am looking for in my new friendships and relationships with people in my life.
What is really important to me?
Because I don't want to keep attracting the same kind of friends, right? You don't want to keep attracting the same kind of guy, you know, because this is where you
have to change and evolve so that you are changing and evolving. So what you are attracting is
different, is different, right? Okay. I am way more important than that. You are absolutely way
more important than that. But this is work you're doing on yourself. This is work you're doing on yourself. The happiest place on earth
life showing up for me and recreating myself. Yeah, only can be done if I show up. Here's the
thing. It only can be done if you know what you want. And you know where you want to go. That's it. That's why
it's so important to take this time and be like, why? Okay, what? What do I want? And why do I want
that? And then remind yourself every single day that that's the goal. And then also give yourself
grace because there are some days that you're not going to be able to do all the things.
And then when you do have days that you're able to do all the things, really hold on
to that.
But either way, be proud of yourself.
Be super proud of yourself that you came to this realization, right?
Be super proud of yourself that you're showing up on those days that are really hard for
yourself and be super proud of yourself on the days where you're doing the things.
And that's how you do it.
I have made so many changes in my life.
I've been through a lot, as have many of us. And I have people say to me a lot, Oh, my God, how did you do that?
I mean, I got a whole story, right? I got a whole story. I Oh, my God, I got a whole I got a whole
story that goes back 20 years ago. You know, I got a whole story that goes back 10 years ago,
when you know, I kind of I had my business, things were going well. I had
the family, all of that. My, you know, not that my relationship was great and didn't have its
issues because it totally did, but my ex-husband did, but my ex-husband did, but my ex-husband did,
but my ex-husband did, but my ex-husband did, but my ex-husband did, but my ex-husband did,
but my ex-husband did, but my ex-husband did, but my ex-husband did, but my ex-husband did.
Where I didn't know how to pay my rent, I got my car repossessed. And it wasn't because I didn't
want to work. It wasn't because I was a hard worker. It's because I had to care for my husband.
I had four kids. I was really stubborn about asking for help. Or maybe I had people in my
life who, you know, I felt I couldn't ask for help. You know, I definitely have an amazing
family. I could have relied on a little bit more, but I was stubborn about that. And I couldn't ask for help. You know, I definitely have an amazing family, I could have relied on a
little bit more, but I was stubborn about that. And I didn't know how I was going to feed my kids
at one point, I was severely depressed, very depressed. Now looking back, people didn't talk
about mental health the way they talk about mental health today. I probably had some postpartum that
I was dealing with, and then some depression on top of that, but I was just plowing through doing what I needed to do. Right. And, um, somehow, some way I sat with myself and I said, okay, Gina,
no one is going to fix this for you. No, one's going to come save you. If you want more,
if you want different, if you want to dig yourself out, you have to do the work. And I honestly,
I mean, I had great support. My mom was there for me. I don't know how I did it. But here's what I can tell you is that I did it every
day. The little things that I did every single day, I did a lot of journaling. I, you know,
I found people doing what I wanted to do. And then I just like researched and read what they did and
tried to copy what they were doing.
Very similar to you see someone in the program who's lost a hundred pounds or 20 pounds or 40
pounds is really listening to their advice. They've experienced it. So learn from that,
right? Really try to learn from that. It's one thing I've learned. Like my mom was right about
everything, but I was so resistant from accepting that, that I probably could have made life easier
for me myself if I'd listened to my mom. Maybe that's something that you come, that I probably could have made life easier for me myself if I'd listened
to my mom. Maybe that's something that you come that comes with age is being open that people do
have something to, you can learn from other people's experience. That's what I want for you
guys. I want you to learn from me because I've learned so much. You know, and then, you know,
I've been through a lot with this business. And then of course, recently, as many of you know,
my, I ended up getting a divorce. And, you know and my ex was unable to really care for my kids. So then I had to take
care of four kids on my own somehow. And I just did it. I hung in there, man, there was times where
it was rough, that it wasn't any one thing that I did, just like with weight loss. It's not going
to be any one thing that you do.
It's the insignificant things that you don't realize are adding up to make a really big difference. And then of course, as you know, many of you know, recently, my ex passed away
of those same health issues that he got sick with 10 years ago. And so it's been a long 10 years.
And that's somehow that's how I got to where I am now.
And so my, my point, and again, I'm not going to make it all about me is like, it's, it's like, I knew what I wanted.
I didn't want to be in that situation anymore.
I wanted to be strong.
I wanted to be independent.
I, I wanted to create my business.
That's always been a goal of mine.
I want to be the number one weight loss company in the world.
Not because I want the riches and the fame, and stuff that goes over it, because I want to make
a difference, a difference in, in obesity rates, because I know what it was like to be there. I've,
I think a lot of people forget that I lost over a hundred pounds. Um, so I was there and I,
and I remember that space really unmotivated by that space in your brain that is so consumed.
What to eat, what not to eat. you wake up every day, you go to bed
every night, I'm going to do this, I'm going to do that, whatever. And then you wake up the next
day, and you're just like, wow, that's my goal. That's like, that's my real goal for you fitting
into your jeans, your bikinis, or whatever, that's great. But it's that space in your brain. And I
remember, like, I remember what that felt like. But now I just fill it with other things.
But other things. So yeah, you know, you're going to get there. And that's what it with other things, but other things. Um, so yeah, you know, you're,
you're going to get there and, and that's what it's all about, right? That's what it's about.
Um, someone was asking about solidifying your weight. So I, I look, we're going to talk about
maintenance for those of you who are ready for the maintenance conversation at the end of the
program. And so there are people now who are doing the program to solidify their weight. You don't
have to keep signing up for the program. We, we have other methods for you to solidify their weight. You don't have to keep signing up for the program. We have other methods for you to solidify your weight on your own. It's just repeating the
program or doing another round of the program to solidify your weight is really effective. Even
though you don't have weight to lose anymore, you can level up in other ways. I won't get into it
too much. But you have solidifying is you giving your body the time to get used to your new weight
to make your new weight the new
norm. It's really important that you do that. And this is why you want plateaus and you need plateaus
because plateaus are like your body taking time to solidify your weight while you are trying to
lose weight. So you lose weight, you're on a plateau, that doesn't mean that what you're
doing isn't working. It's so unrealistic to think that your that your weight graph is going to be just down, down, down, down, down, down, down,
it's not, it's not, it's so normal to see ups and downs and plateaus. And it's just so normal.
What you want to be able to do is see that downward trend. When it comes to your weight
graph. For so many of you just starting, you don't even have enough data for a weight graph yet. Like
it's only been a week and a bit, you don't even have enough data for that. It's where you want to look at the 91 days in
its entirety and see that downward trend. And someone again was asking me, well, why do we
weigh ourselves every day? It's because the scale is a great tool and you're picking up on the ups
and downs to get to a point. Like when I work with people, I can, they tell me everything,
what they're eating, when bowel movements, how they're feeling, like you name it, they tell me everything what they're eating when bowel movements how they're feeling like you
name it they tell me everything and so based on the information the data that they are providing
me I can tell them I can tell when the scale is going to move for them how much they're going to
lose for how long based on their data collection or their history of what's been happening while
I've been working with them and so this is what I'm trying to teach you through using the scale
as a tool so you're using the scale along with the choices you know, or know you know you
were making or not making, and how you are feeling and how your body responds to the changes that
you're making, right. And so anyway, back to plateaus. The diet industry has taught you that
if you're on a plateau, it means what you are doing is no longer working. So you got to dig
your heels in, eat even less exercise even more. That's not the case here.
That's not the case here. If you are on a plateau, it means and you've just lost some weight,
your body's adjusting to the weight that you've lost. Now we've have people who lost a lot of
weight in the previous program in the fall, they were like drop, drop, drop, drop, drop, drop,
drop, drop, drop. But at some point, they're going to need to experience a plateau. And that's why you'll hear a lot of people coming back for their second,
third, fourth, fifth program where they have these stories, or shares, I like to call of like,
you know, I, I'm on a six week plateau, my weight hasn't moved. That's because they lost a
significant amount of weight previously. And their body is like, hold up, wait a minute. I need to adjust to this weight that's
lost. Your body temperature, your hormones, your metabolism. And the biggest one is the size of
your heart needs to adjust to the new size of your body. Think about that. Every time I talk about this, it's just like,
we don't think about that. If you want to lose a significant amount of weight,
that can be 20 pounds for some 40 pounds, 60 pounds, 80 pounds, a hundred plus pounds,
right? Think about your body. Your heart has grown to sustain the size of your body.
Your body temperature adjusted to the size of your body.
Your hormones adjusted to the size of your body.
Your metabolism adjusted, blood flow adjusted to the size of your body, especially that
heart.
That's why a lot of you are taking blood pressure medication to prevent your heart having an enlarged heart because your
heart's a muscle from growing so big because it's working so hard. That's why you take blood
pressure medication. And so when you lose a significant amount of weight, your body has to
adjust. And so whether we, I mean, we need plateaus, we don't have to love them. But that's
the big reason for them.
So you want plateaus, you need them.
It doesn't mean that you have to like, doesn't mean that you have to, oh, I'm going to read
that comment.
Where is it?
It doesn't mean you have to love them.
And we're going to talk about all the things that you can do.
So I want to talk, I want to read that, even though, isn't that amazing?
Even though I'm talking about all of this, I want to read that even though this isn't that amazing, even though I'm talking
about all of this, I think there's someone who just said that they're concerned because 10
days into the program and they haven't lost any weight. Right. Some of you are like only 10 days.
It's really flown by. I'm showing up every day. Love listening to the lives and reading all the
comments. Yeah. Really, this is where you really want to get into it. I want to roll it down and
see that comment. Someone said that.
Maybe I can scroll back.
It's right here.
But see, here's the thing about why I'm so passionate about trying to get my message across.
Here it is.
Let me see if I can expand on that.
Let's expand it.
Okay.
Here we go.
I'm concerned about my weight because here we are, theth day and my weight hasn't really changed. I love this. First of all, Maria, I love this. Um, and, and I will tell you a million
fucking times over and over, and I'm here for it. I am here for it every fucking day, a million
fucking times. I will tell you over and fucking over. It's not a concern.
It's not a concern. How much you lose, how quickly you lose in the beginning,
zero indication of how successful you will be. Do you know what is going to make you successful?
Being here at the end of 91 days. This is not a, you know why you haven't lost that weight?
Because you haven't starved yourself. You haven't deprived yourself, right? You have been giving
your body nutrient rich foods and giving your body what it needs. So it no longer feels the need to store
fat because maybe your body doesn't trust you because you have spent a lot of time starving
and depriving it. So you are not getting that dopamine hit of that quick fix like you have done
on every diet, but let's take a minute and let's reflect on every diet you have done.
And that dopamine hit, I'm starving, I'm depriving, I'm doing
something because that scale is moving. And then what? And then it stops moving. And then you gain
it all back. Plus more every single fucking ass time. I know I'm saying a lot of F words. I don't
care. It's how I feel today. Because I just I just, I really, do you know what I mean?
You want this? Is this different? Is this different than any other diet that you've
done because you haven't lost weight yet? Fucking right it is. And that is a good thing.
That is a good thing. Um, your body right now is taking the time to probably repair, rebuild,
regenerate, rejuvenate, just be like, oh my God, are we eating real food?
Are we, is she eating nutrient rich food?
Are we eating dissatisfaction?
Are we getting the nutrients that we need to actually make change?
This is amazing.
Guaranteed your body is loving what you are doing, even though you are entitled to your
feelings because you are concerned because you haven't lost weight yet, because you always
lose weight in the first couple of weeks of the diets. That's how the diet industry hooks you in. And then guess what? When
that scale stops moving, it's your fault. You're eating too much. You're not moving enough. It's
your fault. That's not how it is. So it is so normal that some people lose right away and some
people don't, but you will lose and you will get there. You have to keep showing up. Now, let me ask you this.
Is there anything more you can do? Because again, it comes down to me. I'm not going to sell a
program that doesn't work. I mean, why would I do that? Why would I do that? I'm around. I'm
accessible. I'm not going to do that, right? I'm not like some like, you can't find me. I have four
kids. I live in a town. I see people all the time, every day, wherever I go, I see
people who are doing the living method. So I'm not going to try to sell you into doing something
that doesn't work for you. And that's also why I sit up here so confidently, right? Because I know
this is going to work for you. And I know we have an amazing team of program specialists who are
going to be here to support you every step of the way. So I love questions like this. This is really important because I want you to ask
these questions. Even if I talk about it a million times, I want you to ask these questions, even if
they've been asked a million times, because I want you to feel confident that you know what you're
doing. I want you, if you need reassurance, I want to reassure you. So never stop asking the questions that you need to ask.
Ask as many questions that you need in as many different ways as you need to feel like
you got this.
If you need support one day, show up.
If you're feeling ways, show up.
We got you.
I am here for you.
I will talk about this a million times and be just as happy to talk about it the millionth
time as I am the first time, right?
So, so it is so normal. A couple things I want you to do. Okay, so because you might have missed
this conversation yesterday is there was a post that I posted yesterday. And it's where I did a
shout out for all of our returning members who are frustrated about the scale or concerned about
the scale, who were concerned about the scale in the first couple of weeks to share their experience.
So go on that post.
You will walk away inspired for sure.
But I'm not worried about you.
I'm not worried about you.
I love that you're here, especially you want to know why, because you showed up today.
You showed up today and you are putting it out there and you're asking the questions
and you're doing the things.
But I will leave you with one thing.
What you want has to align with what you are doing.
And you have to get really real and honest with yourself. And so are you following the food plan?
Are you skipping some meals and snacks? Are you trying to eat less because you're really not sure?
And you think, okay, if I just take Gina's program and I eat less, that's going to work
better for me. Are you nervous about eating six times a day? So you're skipping some of the meals and snacks
thinking, oh my gosh, do you know what I mean? Are you drinking enough water? And not that it's
about more and more and more, but are you, are you drinking more than what you were? Are you
drinking enough? Do you know what I mean? Like, are you being as consistent as possible? Are you
doing the things that are going to get you the results that you want? And then if you are, that's amazing, then what your body needs, probably at the end of
the day is just time, your body has probably been through a lot. And it just needs a minute. And I
guarantee you, you will lose this weight, because your body doesn't want the weight any more than
you do. It's just like figuring out what your body needs, giving it the time,
right? And the, here's the thing is I've, I've, I've come up with this amazing program. That's not you just doing whatever you want to do and trying to figure it out. I figured it out for you.
So all you got to do is show up and follow it. You may not understand it yet. You may have your
concerns about it. And that's why you got to make sure you ask all the questions that you need,
but you will see how it's all going to come together. You just have to stick around. I got to go. So full circle
moment. You got to stick around, got to stick around, figure out why, you know, why you signed
up for the program. That's what motivated you to go to the website and click purchase and your
motivation. You're not going to be motivated to do the things that you need to do.
So you've got to constantly remind yourself of why you need to do them, even though you don't
want to do them. On that note, I got to go, you guys. I'm sorry I took so long today. I just,
I just, yeah, I want this for you so badly, but I need you to want it just as badly,
and let's work together, and let's fucking get it done. Have an amazing day, everyone. Remember,
if I didn't get to your question, pop it over on the question of the day page, I will answer it over there. I got to go.
Cause I already hear my team calling me being like, Gina, come on now. Time to go.
Have an amazing day. Bye.
